Vegetarian restaurant
Kerala restaurant
South Indian restaurant
Mothers Veg Plaza is a popular vegetarian restaurant in Trivandrum, offering authentic South Indian cuisine with a focus on traditional Kerala dishes. The menu features a wide variety of dosas, idlis, and Pondy specialties made with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere makes it a favorite spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. One of the highlights is the sumptuous sadhya, a traditional Kerala feast served on banana leaves that showcases the rich culinary heritage of the region.
Visited Mother’s Veg Plaza, Trivandrum tonight. This was my third visit, as I had already been here twice earlier during noon time to try their famous Trivandrum Sadya — which truly lives up to the hype! This time, we went for Jini Dosa, Special Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa, and Poori Masala. Every dosa was unique in taste, well-prepared, and delicious — you can really feel the difference in flavor and quality compared to regular dosa outlets. During noon time, the place gets very crowded with people waiting to enjoy the Sadya, and you often have to wait or compete a bit for a seat 😄. However, they have more staff available at noon, and the service moves faster despite the rush. In contrast, evening service is a little slower, probably because of fewer staff and less crowd. The restaurant is neat and well-maintained, with clean banana leaves and tidy tables. The staff are polite and helpful, though the service could be a bit quicker during evenings. We also took two dosa parcels, and the quantity was good with neat and secure packing — ideal for takeaway. A nice addition now is their separate car parking space, which makes visits much more convenient, especially during peak hours. Overall, a great vegetarian restaurant in Trivandrum — perfect for those who love authentic South Indian flavors, whether it’s their iconic Sadya or their wide range of dosas. Definitely worth multiple visits!
Anoop G — Google review
Tried the Sadya at Mothers Veg Plaza and here’s the verdict The place is clearly popular — we had to wait around 15 minutes for a seat despite arriving early. The Sadya was served on a banana leaf with a variety of traditional items. The highlight was definitely the four types of payasam, each one delicious and well-prepared. Red rice is a better choice here for a richer experience. While the payasams and pickles were impressive, the main curry and side dish options felt limited for the price of ₹252/-. There seemed to be an overemphasis on multiple pickle varieties, which came off more as fillers than actual value additions. The atmosphere was clean but slightly humid. Though the AC was running, the lack of an air curtain meant the indoor space warmed up quickly as people moved in and out. Parking is also limited, so plan accordingly. Overall A decent place to try once for the payasam and traditional vibes, but there's room for improvement in variety and comfort.
Jishnunath P — Google review
Was highly recommended by a friend. Its a must visit if you would like to experience the Onam Sadhya at any time of the year. The spread is great and the service is fast. The problem is also that they dont let you eat peaceful also, the service is so fast they just serve and go dont event wait for you to wipe the water on the banana leaf. Also no buddy bothers to explain the dishes, I guess the regulars already know all the dishes so they dont bother to answer.
Karthik S — Google review
This vegetarian restaurant is a true gem for sadhya lovers. The sadhya here is served with a wide variety of side dishes and delicious payasam, making it a wholesome and fulfilling experience. The portions are so generous that one often finds it difficult to finish everything on the banana leaf! The flavors are authentic, and the variety adds to the overall satisfaction. The staff were very helpful and attentive, making the experience a truly great one. The only drawback is the heavy rush during peak hours, which can make seating a bit challenging. Still, considering the quality, quantity, and taste, it is absolutely worth the money and highly recommended.
Neeraj R — Google review
Really loved the sadhya for first time.. service is customer friendly, they explain with patience on how to eat especially the payasams. ₹250 worth the price a total of 27 items. Location is close to railway station & bus stop.

A very well known restaurant in Trivandrum that's packed with people! As they say, if a restaurant is full, be sure it's trusted by the locals for its taste! Trying out the Kerala Sadya was obviously on my list and went here with my friends. The service was prompt and the coupon system was extremely systematic. The overall experience was so heart warming and the food tasted delicious! A must try for those looking to try out the local cuisine!

Probably the best veg restaurant in Trivandrum!!! Visiting this place with my friends for a dinner was one of the right decisions we made 🤩 Food - This place is known for their wide varieties of dosa in their menu. What we tried!!! - Cream of mushroom soup - Spanish dosa - Ghee roast - Idiyappam with mushroom kadai Service - Was decent enough and every item was served quick. They even replaced our mushroom soup as we felt it was bit saucy. Ambience - Spacious and well lit interiors. A Great thumbs up for this place 👍🏽
Vignesh S — Google review
I had visited this place years ago for their sadya lunch and it used to be excellent the food was tasty and the service was impeccable. That was one of the reasons I looked forward to coming back. However, this time I went for breakfast and was shocked by the decline in quality. The idli and poori was undercooked, and even the chutney, sambar and bhaji tasted very below average. The service too was disappointing, even though there wasn’t much rush. It was a letdown compared to the wonderful experience I remembered from before. We had planned to try their sadya later, but after this breakfast experience, we canceled that plan. No idea if their sadya still tastes the same.

Read good reviews about cafe Jade , so decided to go there for lunch. we went for a buffet and to be honest I was a bit disappointed. There was a wide spread of dished and looked appetizing but the taste left a lot to be desired. Basically we found the dishes on the oilier side. A basa fry was supposed to be warm but it was cold . The mutton biriyani was good though i could only get the bones and less of the meat. the Veg fry though oily was quite good. Though the Roast chicken was ok, it was cold. The fried idly chaat was a let down.. it was very hard and didnt taste fresh at all. coming to the dessert, the orange souffle was good and the anjeer barfi was tasty too. the pastry shell of the papaya tart was not flaky at all. though i liked the papaya filling. The service was good. The young lady Susu was pleasant and attentive. I am assuming that the a la carte option would have been a better choice. For the hotel with a 5 star rating I had higher expectations . Jowever I hope the next time I visit , the experience would be more positive.

The restaurant is located within the hotel premises, and the experience starts with a warm welcome from the courteous hotel staff. The ambiance is elegant and inviting, making it a pleasant place to dine. Their buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, catering to different tastes. Considering it’s part of a renowned hotel, the pricing is quite reasonable. Overall, definitely worth a visit!

We recently had a buffet experience at Cafe Jade. The collection of items is quite impressive, offering a wide range from soups and salads to a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian main courses, along with fresh cut-fruits, delicious sweets, and ice creams. The food, while a bit on the expensive side and with a few items that weren't to our taste, provides such a large menu that you're sure to find something you'll enjoy. The atmosphere here is delightfully pleasant and not overly crowded. We found the staff to be incredibly attentive and always ready to assist. It was also very convenient to have the free valet parking service available. A special thank you to Aditya for his exceptional service, which made our visit even more memorable.

We went for dinner on July 13, 2025 and ordered A la carte instead of buffet. It turned out to be the worst dining experience we ever had & we paid about 12K in total. Here are some of the things we ordered: 1. Manchow chicken soup - which had absolutely no flavour of chicken 2. Non veg Kebab platter - Served cold, the chicken and mutton were good, fish had no taste at all and felt spoiled. 3. Hycinth special chicken curry - Chicken pieces in onion gravy would be the apt description. 4. Fish Manga curry - The worst. Fish had no taste at all, gravy was a mix of spices that didn’t go along. 5. Tandoori chicken pizza - Looked they made Tandoori chicken first and chopped it as big pieces like kebab and topped with mozzarella cheese 6. Appam - It was okay 7. Butter Naan - Burnt a bit, but manageable What did I like? Just the lime juice honestly. After eating the fish, me and my wife had stomach ache. Luckily it didn’t turn out worse. Thank you Hycinth & Cafe Jade for completely spoiling our evening. It was our first and last time visiting Hycinth.

Café CAFÉ My son and daughter-in-law had come for a few days and it was my daughter-in-law’s birthday today. So, we decided to go out for dinner. We decided to try out Café Jade at the Hycinth. I called them to book at table for 5 at 7.30 pm. The lady who answered my phone took my booking and asked me whether there was any occasion like a birthday or anniversary. I told her that it was a birthday dinner. We arrived at the hotel. The car was taken away by a valet. We were escorted to our table. As soon as we took our seats, the manager came and enquired whose birthday it was. Then they brought a cake with a candle lit on it. Spot lights were switched on and the speaker started playing the “Happy Birthday to you” song. We thought of ordering food a la carte. The manager suggested that we should try the buffet as they had a very extensive spread. We decided to go as per his suggestion. We were taking only vegetarian food today, but a decent number of vegetarian dishes were available. A large selection of salads and desserts were also available. There was a live station for Kerala Appam. Indian bread items like tandoori roti, butter naan, garlic naan and Kerala parotta were also available. There was also a station for fresh juices. A singer was there who sang melodious Hindi songs. Service was very good. Altogether quite a memorable dinner.

I want to thank the cafe jade staff for providing professional service and making this trip very memorable for me. The food was awesome, the staff was very cordial. The buffet always surprised me because they had different themes everyday. I happen to visit during Thattukada food fest the variety of fast food was amazing. Special thanks to Kylie for being an amazing host and always helping me with everything i need. Thanks Hycinth. 10/10 recommend.

Crowd favorites include the Red Sauce Pasta and chicken Sizzlers. The café's vibrant decor and friendly service create a welcoming environment for diners of all ages.
Cafe Mojo in Kowdiar is a nice little spot with a cozy vibe. The food is tasty, especially their sizzlers, pasta, and Asian dishes. The sizzling brownie is a must-try for dessert lovers. The place is clean, and the staff are friendly. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the portions are good. Great for a relaxed meal with friends or family.

Food was flavourless... Chicken noodles was good But chicken shandong tasted like a local Indian chicken dish Sweet and sour chicken was very gingery, the chicken was soaked and the flavour was terribly off, it was a huge dissapointment. Service was good and quick Atmospehere was reasonably fine Overall experience for Chinese food was dissapointing However since the overall bill was over 2000 inr, a free Tiramisu was given which wasgrelaly good and enjoyable .

Good place to have a lot of varieties of Chinese and continental food. Had spicy grilled fish from here. Since I don't like chinese food, I asked them to prepare the dish without sauce and they did it so. The food was too good and the service was also nice. Recommended for people who like chinese and continental food. Others can customise your dish to your liking as I did.

I recently visited Cafe Mojo located in Kuravankonam, Trivandrum, and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. While the cuisine was undeniably top-notch, with flavorful dishes and a great variety, the behavior of one of the staff members at the cash counter left a bad impression. He was not only unprofessional but also made my group feel uncomfortable by staring at the ladies in our company and being overall irritating. While the food quality was excellent, this staff behavior really dampened the overall experience. I hope the management takes this issue seriously and trains their staff better to ensure such incidents don't happen again.

A small, cute place forever full of clients owing to the taste of the dish served. You get oriental dish only. The taste lingers. The ambience is great. The waiters are polite. The cafe is quiet, so it calms your mind while the food cools your stomach. The quantity per serving is more than you might expect. So order with care.

We visited Paragon Restaurant again today — it continues to be our favourite spot in Trivandrum for a splendid family dinner. We tried porotta, nadan beef roast, mixed fried rice, butter chicken, and chicken biriyani. Every dish was top-notch and full of authentic flavours. The porotta and beef roast are an absolute must-try for anyone visiting. The restaurant has ample parking space with staff available to manage the area, making it very convenient. The interior is pleasant and comfortable, though the food may take a little time to be served — it’s worth the wait for the quality you get. Overall, Paragon is a great choice for delicious food, good ambiance, and family dining. Highly recommended!

Exceptional and one of the 'must-try' food spots in Trivandrum. Neatly lit up and air-conditioned dining halls are spanned across 2 floors. Rates are not nominal, but not overpriced when compared to restaurants of similar standards. Should be ready to wait long to get a table, especially during lunch time. Narrow passage to get into the premises from the main road often causing traffic congestions. But ample parking can be found inside. Security staff and drivers to help customers for parking Wheelchair accessible entrance, but looks a little steep. On call seat bookings are not entertained, as I understand. Nursing room for baby feeding. The wash room is slightly congested and only one men's toilet/latrin for the entire floor.

Delicious Dining Experience at Paragon, Kesavadasapuram” Paragon Restaurant at Kesavadasapuram never disappoints! From the time it started till today, I have visited several times with my family, and each experience has been delightful. Yesterday’s dinner was another memorable one—we tried Singapore Fried Rice, Chicken Shawai, Chilli Chicken, Tender Coconut Pudding, Appam, and more. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and served with care. The balance of spices and authentic taste truly stood out, making the meal a complete treat. A great place for family dining with consistently good food and service.

One of the best continental food I have had in trivandrum. The Pan grilled mutton chops, and the Carbonara Pasta that we tried, were really awesome. They have buffet option too, though we didn't try it. They have good ambience, and lighting, but individual tables could have had more privacy. Valet Parking is available. Update : There was live music when we went for lunch on a Sunday. Hazelnut and Apricot Milk Chocolate cake ; and Ada Prathaman were nice. Nutty Fudge brownie and clear chicken soup were very good.

Good service, great food and nice drinks. The atmosphere was good. They had a japanese promotion going on and some of the food we tried was really great. One thing I didn't like was the mutton chops, rest everything was good. I felt the chops should have been less chewy and a bit more cooked.

The overall 3 Star is not related to the quality of food at all... the food we had as part of Umami 2.0 was excellent. For an establishment of this caliber, it was surprisingly a dismay to attempt to book tables. Not sure whether this was an issue with their IVR or restaurant extension not caring. For 2 hours, I couldn't get through to the Restaurant to make reservations. Since the family was sooo looking forward to the Japanese Cuisine, we decided to drop by and try our luck. As expected, "We are pre-booked fully sir" responses came by with a tone that stirs you up. One dialogue about how a place like Hilton gives such a disappointing experience, and they quickly said, they'd get us a seat and requested us to wait, leading us to a comfortable space to sit. However, the Drinks Menu we asked for, never came until it was time for us to seat, which we got in about 15 to 20 minutes. Now coming to the Umami 2.0 food. The menu was short and crisp in their offerings of Uramaki and Nigiri, soups, main course and cocktails.... But we were there purely to try out the Uramaki and Nigiri... And we enjoyed them right down to the end... We ordered their Smoked Salmon Uramaki and the Prawns Tempura Uramaki. For Nigiri, we only tried their Tuna Nigiri. The portions if Uramaki delivered were sumptuous and flavors were excellent. We thoroughly feasted on them enjoying the flavors in full. The Nigiri though had only 3 pieces served, were one of the largest I have had. The thought did go through my mind that if the quantity was split into more servings, it would have left an impact of having been served a good portion as with the Uramaki. That being said, it was no less than excellent as well. Their blend of the Soy Dip too was refreshing and went well with the dishes. We also indulged ourselves with a glass of Sunrise in Osaka… Though there was no hint of Tequila, the drink as is was quiet good. Overall, the food experience was excellent and brightened the night in spite of the initial hiccups and hurdles. Sadly, this was just a 3 day treat. Looking forward to Umami 3.0. Until the next time... or the next course...

I visited the place for a birthday party. The made a mango fresh cake and gave it. It was a very welcome gesture. Every one loved the cake. Now comming to buffet food. 4 non veg and 4 veg starters were there, every thing was great. Salad section was amazing, I had multiple servings. Soup was ordinary. Biriyani was super. All main courses were great. Desserts had enough choices and every one loved every thing. Only down side was that everything appeared to be little congested. There was no space for even keeping the lids. Other than this it was excellent experience.

"This place truly exceeded my expectations! The food was not only delicious but also creatively presented. The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance was cozy and intimate, making it perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner. I loved the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. Highly recommended!

Sigh! I always look forward to dining here but today was just an "off day" I suppose. The food was yummy and perfectly cooked but took forever to come and sad even a little cold by the time it got to thr table. Yet, the most disappointing was the sad margarita(in pic); my friend's Caiprioska was equally disappointing. Can't go wrong with wine was our next thought so we ordered the fraternelli Sauvignon blanc and rosé, neither was chilled enough 😟. The service staff were constantly missing apparently cuz they were short staffed. The highlight was a young lady from the front desk who stopped by to check on us(I wish I had caught her name) and spread some joy.

Great restaurant, great service. We tried buffet during a special occasion and most of the food we tried, we loved it. Neatly presented. There were live counters for Chat, grill items. Chat offerings were really delicious. Beef chilli instinct was awesome. Murgh Begam Bahar was really good, however, slightly overpowered by cardamom flavour. Dessert section was really really good... Overall the food offered in the buffet were delicious.

If you're looking for a delicious and reasonably priced breakfast or brunch spot, Sree Arul Jyothi is a great place to check out. They serve up a variety of South Indian delicacies such as crispy dosas, spicy vadas, delectable parathas, and amazing puris. The restaurant is located in the heart of the city center making it very convenient to get to.
High quality food. Always 90% occupancy and crowded. Prices bit high. Washrooms available. Parking is disgusting as in main road.

Sree Arul Jyothi is a complete vegetarian restaurant located to opposite to Govt Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram. It's a long standing restaurant in the city offers varities of vegetarian dishes. Cleanliness is in toto is good. Washroom were maintained well. Price of the food items is comparatively higher than similar veg restaurants. The restaurant is easily accessible from the main MG road. Sweets are arranged for sale near the entrance of eatery. Parking facility is absent. I had Puri masala and tea as breakfast from there. Puri was average channa was good. Tea tasted good.

Arul Jyothi Veg Restaurant at Statue, Trivandrum used to be one of my favorites a few years back. Sadly, my recent visit felt like walking into the ghost of its former self. The only thing still alive here is the location – the food and quality seem long gone. Let’s start with the basics. The chutney was so tasteless it could have been plain water with a little color. No salt, no flavor, absolutely zero life to it. The Poori set was just passable, nothing memorable. But the Gobi Manchurian? A joke. They basically tossed some undercooked cauliflower into a random chili curry and called it Manchurian – then had the audacity to charge ₹150 for it. The Veg Fried Rice (again ₹150) was bland, miserably portioned, and felt more like a side dish than a main course. As if the food wasn’t disappointing enough, the hygiene was worse. The wash area doesn’t even function – instead, a bucket of water sits nearby, waiting for customers to make do. For a restaurant sitting in such a prime location, this is plain embarrassing. They know people will walk in because of the spot, but clearly don’t care about taste, service, or value anymore. Overpriced, underwhelming, and completely forgettable – except for how bad it was.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Sree Arul Jyothi, located near the Statue! The food was absolutely delicious and authentic. We ordered the Ghee Roast, Ghee Masala Dosa, and Kothu Porotta, and each dish exceeded our expectations. The Ghee Roast was crispy and flavorful, the Ghee Masala Dosa was perfectly balanced with spices and ghee, and the Kothu Porotta was soft and flaky. The service was also prompt and friendly. Overall, we highly recommend Sree Arul Jyothi for a satisfying and tasty vegetarian meal! Will definitely visit again!

🌿💚 Vegetarian delight! Fast service, melt-in-mouth ghee roast, soulful sambar & chutneys. Costs ₹150 — a tad more than Kottayam, but hey, it’s the city. Staff are super sweet ☺️. Parking? Nope. Taste? Yup!
Nikhil J — Google review
Sree Arul Jyothi Veg Restaurant in Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram offers a fair range of vegetarian dishes, but the overall experience has gone down compared to earlier days. The food quality no longer matches the high prices, and it seems to be lacking the old authentic taste that Arul Jyothi was once known for. The waiting time is quite long, especially during rush hours, and cleanliness could be improved. With better food quality, faster service, and efforts to bring back the original taste, it could once again become one of the best vegetarian spots in the area.

A good vegetarian restaurant, Had podi masala dosa, vada & black coffee, Vada was a bit soggy, Other than that everything was spot on, The tables are clean including the washing area and toilets, It's very tough to find neat and safe restaurants in trivandrum, This is one of them, I assure you that as someone with a very sensitive stomach you can choose arul jyothi blindly. 2 wheeler parking by the roadside and car parking is available near by parking lot [ clean restaurants in Trivandrum, best veg restaurant in Trivandrum, Vegetarian restaurant in Trivandrum, Good Restaurant in Trivandrum ]

What a lovely little cool and hip corner in Trivandrum. Probably the best place I've been to on my trip! 😍 Food felt like homemade cos it was kind of. The atmosphere is cozy and so charming and cool. And the service was great. Me and my pal stayed there for hours. And towards the end we went into the attached gift shops which had a lot of cool items at reasonable prices. I couldn't resist getting a few nice things that I liked. If I ever come back I'll know where to hang out! 😉😎

We had two fresh juices, created on the spot squeezed to perfection. The veg cutlets and beef sandwich was out of this world. The banana fritters were yummy. The atmosphere is serene and beautiful. The prices were so reasonable and everything was worth the money. The service was quick and friendly. I also found some lovely trinkets to take back home at the store. Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Service, Food Quality, and Staff Behaviour – Indian Coffee House, Trivandrum Medical College Date of Visit: 15/05/2025 Time: 9:45 AM Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your Indian Coffee House outlet near Trivandrum Medical College. The food was of poor quality, the coffee was not good, and overall hygiene was lacking. In addition to this, the behavior of the staff was unfriendly and unprofessional, which made the visit even more disappointing. As a long-standing establishment, I expected much better service and cleanliness. I request that you look into these issues seriously and take the necessary steps to improve both the food quality and customer service. Sincerely, Alif khan

I really don't like the food, service, hygiene. Totally disappointing. I had already visited other indian coffee house shops but only the board of it give me the same feel. Totally negative vibe. Tables are not properly cleaned after each customer. And the washbasin was not clean. And their dressing like so irritating.I got one small hair from the thoran. And the floor was like slippery and not clean. I know the dress code of Indian coffee house. But here it was not like that. This one is going to give a bad impression for all the indian coffee houses. And the food was like nothing like a wow. I ordered meals and I choose vegetarian and in the set of meal their is no payasam. That's not an issue. But they served it without even asking that whether we need it or not. I an unhealthy situation it is really hard to eat something. And the workers make us feels like we came their to eat for free. Only the person in the counter makes us feel good.

The Aryaas Park Veg Restaurant is a well-known vegetarian restaurant in Thiruvananthapuram. The restaurant specialises in traditional south Indian vegetarian dishes, and offers a wide range of menu items. The food quality is good, but the prices are high.
I'm Mukesh Sahu from Raipur, C. G. I went to trivandrum with my friend and had lunch at ARYAAS PARK. I just forgot my wallet in this restaurant. I lost my important documents and came back home. But after 1 week I received my wallet through courier by the manager of ARYAAS Park. I really thank him. The taste is very good and I highly recommend thali. We really enjoyed lunch at this restaurant. Thank you The Manager ARYAAS Park

Visited this hotel recently and had a good experience overall. Tried their ghee roast in the morning—crispy, flavorful, and served hot with tasty chutneys and sambar. For lunch, I went for the meals and chapathi, both of which were fresh and satisfying. The meals had all the typical South Indian curries and accompaniments, well-balanced in taste. The place does get a bit crowded during peak hours, so sometimes you might have to wait for seating. However, they do have parking space, which is definitely a plus.

Recently visited Aryaas Park. We ordered 2 Veg Fried Rice and 1 Chilli Gobi. The food was okay — not bad, but nothing special either. Prices are quite high compared to what they offer. The restaurant setup is just normal and doesn’t match the pricing. Dine-in experience was not very satisfying. At least they should improve the dine-in area if they’re charging premium rates.🙏

😔 06/July/25. I choose this restaurant becoz of neatness. But the SaMBAR 😡 served here in the morning with masala dosa didn't meet the standard of what expected, it tasted more like DAL curry, Veggies were less, CHeated. I have informed them, but no response. But the masala dosa was good. Neatness was superb.

Aryaas Veg Park, located near Thampanoor KSRTC Bus Station and Trivandrum Central Railway Station, is a highly recommended vegetarian restaurant in the heart of the city. It’s a convenient choice for travelers and locals alike, thanks to its prime location and welcoming ambiance. The quality of food here is extremely good, making it one of the go-to places for a satisfying vegetarian meal. Some of the must-try dishes include Poori Masala (served with two poori), crispy Ghee Roast, flavorful Masala Dosa, soft Appam paired with tasty vegetable curry, and a wide variety of other traditional South Indian items. Each dish is served fresh and full of authentic flavors. The restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness, and both the kitchen and dining areas are neat and well-kept. It offers both AC and non-AC dining options to suit different preferences, although the AC section comes with a slightly higher price tag. One slight drawback is the quantity of tea and coffee served - it’s on the lower side when compared to other local eateries. However, this is a minor issue when weighed against the overall quality and experience.
Ajin T — Google review
Visited this place expecting a decent meal given the clean ambiance, but the food was a total disaster. We ordered mushroom fried rice and biryani – both were huge letdowns. The so-called mushroom fried rice was literally just plain white rice mixed with mushrooms. No flavor, no seasoning, nothing! As for the biryani, calling it that is an insult – it was more like a bland pulao, and honestly, even a basic pulao would taste better. To top it off, the sweet lassi was watery and tasteless. Paid ₹440 for this mess – complete waste of money. Not going back, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for actual food with taste.

Mynt the all day restaurant at Hotel Vivanta Thiruvananthapuram offers a memorable culinary experience with a menu that includes both buffet and a la carte options providing a wonderful treat for your senses. The breakfast buffet offers a wide range of breads, juices, smoothies and international favorites apart from Kerala delights like a variety of dosas from live counters, iddiappam(string hoppers), puttu made from steamed cylinders of ground rice layered with coconut shavings. Mr Mohan deserves special mention and a big thank you for serving exceptional “nadan chai” and freshly brewed coffee. Mynt offers a great selection of both South and North Indian dishes as well as Chinese options for lunch and dinner with numerous flavorsome options on the buffet, while the a la carte menu is no less impressive. Each dish showcases the kitchen’s skills and meticulous attention to detail. Desserts too are noteworthy making you want to go back for seconds. The friendly, very helpful and efficient staff including Laimwm, Pooja, Riya, Rahul,Allan, Unais and others sets apart Mynt, definitely enhances the dining experience. It's a gastronomic experience in Thiruvananthapuram that you won't like to give a miss.

The buffet here costs a bomb, but the food isn't worth the price. It's not bad by any means, but you can get the same quality at other restaurants for lesser prices. The tenderloin was chewy, the chicken sausage salad was also underwhelming. The Malabar chicken curry was average. The Punjabi fish curry was decent but the gravy was too thin. The dessert options were even more disappointing. The cheesecake had zero flavour, I felt like I was eating bland foam with bits of citrus peel(?). The berry crumble was just a chunk of flour - the type a first-time baker creates. The red velvet roll and the 'Opera' pastry were the saving graces. The staff were friendly, the ambience is okay (not sure why they randomly switched off the air con in our section though). The location of the restaurant/hotel is also odd - a lonely one-way road that isn't easily accessible. At the end of the day, the food is underwhelming. If you've eaten at any of the other 3/4 star restaurants in Trivandrum, you can skip this place, nothing to miss.

5 of us had dinner buffer yesterday. Overall experience was underwhelming, with some hits and misses. Cream of veg soup was good. Most of the salads were spicy and not suited for our taste. Similar experience with one of the starters and grilled dishes. When you start enjoying one of the dishes, the high degree of spice/masala level on the other dish will pull you down, and we felt that the chicken starter could have been cooked well (felt overcooked). Similar experience on the main course - chicken and fish were good, though the kadai paneer was overly spicy. Rotis were good. Most of the desserts tasted fine, though the payasam had overpowering taste of cardamom. If you are someone who doesn’t mind spicy dishes, you could give a try. They have a fairly decent spread, though not very elaborate. Restaurant space is not very large. Service staff were courteous, though they could have had more staff for better coverage on all tables. Had valet parking option, reception area is fairly big sized and the washroom was clean. Overall, some hits and some misses, and a mixed bag experience.

This restaurant Mynt at Vivanta Thiruvananthapuram is where the breakfast buffet is served every morning. The breakfast buffet has a good spread and variety. Food is overall quite tasty and good, as can be expected from a good hotel breakfast buffet. Also had a snack dish / appetizer dish (chilli cheese toast) once in the evening and the taste was delicious. Special mention for excellent and attentive service by staff member Vysakh. I asked for a chilli cheese toast on a particular evening, just before checking out of the hotel for my flight, and I needed the dish ready to eat in 15 minutes. Vysakh ensured that the chef prepared the dish within the said 15 minutes, and Vysakh served it to my table accordingly. He ensured that the time promise was maintained so that I did not get delayed because of this. Efficient, prompt and professional service at Mynt restaurant by staff member Vysakh.

It's also reasonably priced, which makes it a great option for budget-minded diners. It can be busy during the weekends, but this only adds to the fun atmosphere of this friendly cafe.
Nice ambience. This shack alone adds to the style of the beach in Thumba. Good choice of food and juices. Good service. Must visit. Should promote more such cafes to change the style of our beach culture.

The best place to hangout with friends and family. A small shack like cafe situated right on the beach. The mint lime tea here is amazing and has the right flavours. A good place for a quick stop especially when you're on a budget. It's usually crowded during the weekends, and it takes a lot of waiting to get a seat and more waiting for you to get your orders. Would suggest you to place your orders directly at the cash counter. They accept only cash payments.

If you're in Trivandrum and looking for a culinary adventure, Good Morning Hotel is the place to be! This beloved eatery is famous for its delectable Kerala Porottas, which are soft, fluffy, and perfect for breakfast. A must-try here is the Parotta paired with Beef Curry—a delightful combination that captures the essence of local street food.
The Good Morning Hotel has been all over social media, so had to check it out for breakfast. Their menu is simple, and that’s what makes it special. The porotta and beef curry combo was an absolute winner. The porotta was hot, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the rich, flavorful beef curry. Chopped onions on the side added a nice touch. Many people were having pappadam with it too, but that’s not really my thing, so skipped it. Idiyappam was also on the menu, so gave it a try—pretty good. And to top it all off, the famous ginger mint tea was the perfect finish. The place was packed, which was expected. The ambiance was nothing fancy, but the service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean. The wash area was just about manageable—understandable given how busy the place was. The only drawback? Parking is a bit tricky since it’s on a busy road. Overall, a must-try spot!

Had breakfast at Good Morning Hotel, and it was an absolute treat! The porotta was perfectly flaky, complementing the crisp pappadam and the rich, flavorful beef fry. The beef was tender, well-spiced, and bursting with authentic taste. Every bite was a delight! If you're looking for a hearty, satisfying meal, this place is a must-visit.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Good Morning Hotel and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The food was exceptional! I tried a variety of dishes, including the poratta, beef idiyappam, pappadam, and sulaimani, and every single item was flavorful and well-prepared. The poratta was soft and crispy, the beef idiyappam was tender and perfectly spiced, while the pappadam added a nice crunchy contrast. The sulumani was a refreshing and aromatic drink that complemented the meal perfectly. Each dish was not only delicious but also worth trying. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving Good Morning Hotel a visit!

Good Morning Hotel serves one of my favourite porotta and beef dishes in the city. I tried their porotta, idiyappam, pappadam, beef curry, and beef fry. I had to wait almost 30 minutes for the beef fry as it wasn’t ready when I arrived, but it was well worth the wait the flavour was incredible. The beef curry was also quite impressive. Best of all, if you're visiting Good Morning Hotel, you must try their mint black tea, it’s truly magical. I ended up drinking at least four cups that day! The customer service was very comforting, and the ambience was decent.

Arguably the best parotta and beef in trivandrum! It’s made in 2 batches so either you should go in the morning or evening and it finishes pretty fast. The service was also extremely good. Parotta and beef with pappadam and a black tea was perfect combination indeed. Must try when in Trivandrum!

Had breakfast at Good Morning Hotel, and it was nothing short of amazing! The porotta was perfectly flaky, and when paired with pappadam and their flavorful beef fry, it was a gustatory orgasm. The beef was tender, spicy, and packed with authentic flavors. Highly recommend this spot for a hearty and satisfying meal

Tried the famous combo porota with beef. In the first batch the porota was below average. But the second batch was awesome. And the beef was good. You can buy pappadam, costs 5₹ per pappadam. Not spacious and always crowded, lack of parking. Overall above average experience.

We go regularly to this restaurant. We have tasted only tiffin varieties. We have rava roast, dosa, idli , adai dosa and idli regularly. Taste is nice , the service is good. It’s nest and is in the main road . Jaggery coffee is very good.

Zam Zam Bun Cafe is a delightful spot that beckons both locals and visitors alike, making it an ideal destination for casual meet-ups with friends or loved ones. Known for its aromatic hot coffee and delectable sweet pastries, this cafe offers the perfect ambiance to unwind while indulging in tasty treats. The menu boasts a variety of options including mouthwatering burgers, pizzas, and refreshing shakes—perfect for a leisurely Sunday meal.
Though i live in trivandrum i never tried any of zam zam bun cafe outlets. This is my first visit after getting somany recommendations to try out their korean cheese bun. I LOVED IT I enjoyed it fully. Its soo delicious that i will drool for it again at around 150rs per piece its worth every rupee. Do try it out. Also took their cookies and butter bun as parcel. Both were really good. A small seating arrangement is there. Luckily it wasn't crowded and i was able to enjoy my bun alone.

It is a part of Zam Zam restaurant with a separate menu of items suitable for a cafeteria. The items were all fast foods. We tried out gheir Shawarma and San Sebastian Cheese cake flooded with chocolate cream. The shawarma tasted average. The cheese cake with chocolate was good and recommendable. The waiting time is more and we have to remind them often to get a faster service. But if you visiting this Cafe for spending time then it is worth it. They have minimal open seating capacity alloted for the Bun Cafe. The Cafe provide a good ambience with good lighting to suit outdoor dining. The don't have dedicated parking facilities and the parking of the Zam zam restaurant can be utilized. They accept both cash, card and UPI payments. Overall it is good spot to hang out late night.

I recently visited Zam Zam Restaurant and had an incredible experience centered around one specific item: the Butter Cookies Bun with Pistachio Sauce. Honestly, it was a knockout! The bun was super yum, perfectly golden on the outside, and incredibly soft and fluffy inside. What really sealed the deal was how freshly made it was; you could taste the quality in every bite. The pistachio sauce complemented the sweet, buttery crust beautifully without being overly heavy or artificial. As a Dubain, I immediately thought of Papa Roti, but I have to say, Zam Zam's version is a much better and more pocket-friendly alternative. They deliver on flavor, freshness, and value. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Zam Zam for this sweet treat. It's truly a hidden gem!

Zam Zam Bun Cafe near Infosys Trivandrum is a popular spot for quick bites and casual hangouts. The menu offers a variety of snacks, sandwiches, and beverages. The buns, which are a specialty of the cafe, are freshly baked and come in different fillings. Milk cake, being one of their highlights was good but not that great. Crackle bun was also above average but not up to the price . The chicken strips were tasty. The cafe has an inviting atmosphere. The prices are not really that reasonable but considering the quality of food and the location it's Okay

Took my 4 year old here for for a evening snack on 16th November. As usual, no luck with parking space. Have to park far and walk in the uneven and muddy road. Ground floor seating and ambiance is very average for their standards in my opinion. Their bun cafe menu need to be reprinted. It's worn out and not updated as well. We tried the Korean cheese bun here. We came for this only. Also we ordered rumali plate shawarma and a Delhi tea( I asked for a ginger tea and that's what they call it). Korean cheese and garlic bun was looking so yummy and i expected that to be bigger. It looked a Lil more than. A cup cake size only. 120 for that is expensive to me. 170 for plate shawarma also expensive to me for their very average ambiance, seating comfort and everything. Tea order didn't come and then got normal chai instead. My son liked the Korean bun and their shawarma as well.

I was quite disappointed. We were not having customised English breakfast menu. I ordered the budget breakfast along with sausages. The sausages came in just a few pieces, served with a large portion of scrambled eggs. Unfortunately, the bread was just plain sandwich bread and wasn’t toasted properly. The omelette was extremely bland, with no salt or pepper to enhance the flavour. Overall, the meal lacked taste and seasoning, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a satisfying English breakfast experience.

Mani Puttu Restaurant is a top dining spot in TVM CITY, known for its superb quality and delicious food.
Tried their porotta with beef fry. To my disappointment, the porotta was a letdown. It lacked the characteristic fluffiness and texture that I associate with a good porotta. The consistency was overly hard, making it difficult to enjoy the dish fully. The beef fry, too, failed to impress me, as it was only average in taste. While the sulaimani I ordered had a decent flavor, it didn't stand out as anything exceptional. The porotta was priced at 12 Rs, and the beef fry at 150 Rs. Given the disappointing quality of the porotta and the average taste of the beef fry, I must admit that the prices seemed quite steep for what was offered. In my opinion, the food simply wasn't worth the amount I paid. The ambiance of the restaurant was rather ordinary, with nothing particularly noteworthy about the decor or atmosphere. However, the service was a silver lining in the experience, as the staff was quick and attentive. The wash area was relatively clean, although there was room for improvement. One advantage of Maniputtu is its convenient location, easily accessible for anyone in the Thampanoor area. On the downside, the lack of parking space was a minor inconvenience for customers driving to the restaurant. In conclusion, my visit to Maniputtu left me with mixed feelings. The lackluster porotta and beef fry overshadowed the otherwise decent sulaimani and efficient service. While the restaurant's ambiance was average, it did offer a conveniently accessible location. Overall, I believe there is room for improvement in the quality of their dishes to match the reputation they have gained.

I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are various factors that I noticed and based on those I suggest not to visit this restaurant. First thing is their dishes are over priced and they're selling it at a very high price and if you compare the quantity, it will not justify the price. Then next is they're using low quality ice, grains while cooking food for you. I ordered chicken biryani which they charged 160 Rs. To be honest its cost should not be more than 70-90 Rs. The quantity they served is very low.

Food was amazing but the quantity was very less for the money they take. This place is leaning more towards fine dining tbh. The service is kinda poor. They should hire more cashiers because only one guy is there and he has to manage everything which is pretty hectic for him as well as us.

With its beach town location on the Arabian Sea, Kovalam attracts tourists looking for an enjoyable culinary experience.
Very nice, relaxing and clean place with amazing view! Healthy good food with many vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on the menu. We have been here 5 days in a row and liked everything we have ordered: eggs perfectly baked, tasty dark brown bread, delicious fruit salad, loved the french toast, the cheese fritters, the salads, vegetable pakora and vegetable biryani! Their café latté and massala chai is also very good. On top of that very friendly service by Krishna and Raju. Special thanks to Raju who was our waiter every time except once. I can't remember ever having such a peaceful, kind, pro-active and descreet waiter. We recommend this place! ❤️

I recently visited this place, and while the view was stunning, the service left much to be desired. It was evident that the staff prioritized foreigners over locals, which was disappointing and discriminatory. The waiter attending to us didn’t take our order properly. I ordered pasta and cold coffee, but even after we finished the pasta, there was no sign of the coffee. When we enquired, we realized the waiter had either forgotten or ignored the order. The pasta sauce was excellent, probably the highlight of the meal, even though the pasta itself wasn’t remarkable. However, the cold coffee was extremely bitter and unpleasant. Overall, the location and view are fantastic, but the service and attention to detail need serious improvement.

One of the worst food I ever had. Zero flavour profile! Drinks, main dish sandwich all were underwhelming and a big let down. The view is really good and coffee is decent and the service is on time and fast but the main item aka the food is horrible. Avoid the place if you love your taste buds because the dishes and drinks are picturesque but not palatable.

Indian Coffee House at Thampanoor has always been a place that brings back nostalgia, with its classic South Indian dishes and old-world charm. The food is usually decent, and I’ve always enjoyed their masala dosa, cutlet, and signature filter coffee ☕. But my recent visit left me quite disappointed. I ordered a fruit salad, expecting something fresh and refreshing 🍉🍎. Instead, what arrived was shocking—it had ants 🐜 and even a strand of hair 🤢. That’s just unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one with such a legacy. Cleanliness and basic hygiene should never be compromised, and this was an instant turnoff. Another thing that stood out was the customer service—or rather, the lack of it. Indian Coffee House used to have a warm, welcoming vibe, but now the staff seems uninterested and disconnected 😕. The service was slow ⏳, and the overall experience felt dull. I still appreciate the simplicity and the nostalgia this place holds, but if they don’t improve on hygiene 🧼 and service 😊, it’s going to be hard to keep coming back. A little more care could go a long way in restoring its former charm.

During my three-day trip to Trivandrum, I dined at this restaurant for all my meals, initially impressed by the food quality, hygiene, and cleanliness. I planned to give it a 5-star rating but reduced it to 2 stars after a concerning discovery on the last day. Despite the waiter claiming they used sunflower oil on the first day, I saw a delivery of six cans of palmolein oil, raising doubts about the oils used in their cooking. Given the high prices, this lack of transparency feels like a betrayal of customer trust for profit. Attached picture as evidence. Based on my experience in the AC dining area, my ratings are: 1 Food Quality: 4/5 2 Service: 4/5 (occasionally slow) 3 Ambiance: 4/5 4 Value for Money: 4/5 5 Cleanliness: 4/5

Tried this outlet this morning. Above average quality food (Idli was not at all good - too hard) Staff never memorises orders and as such you may not get what you order ( this was today, and experience of many customers around us this morning) Staff are not customer friendly. Vazhiyorakkada is a popular stop along the MC road, offering affordable and tasty local cuisine. The restaurant is known for its locally sourced chicken from their own farm, with options like nadan Kozhi curry and mutton chaps. The spacious parking makes it convenient for travelers to take a break. The restaurant has ample seating, including cabin-like arrangements for groups, and serves food on banana leaves for a traditional touch.
Vazhiyorakada is a famous restaurant in Kilimanoor, easily accessible for travelers on MC Road. The design of the place is unique compared to other restaurants and gives a homely feel. The food also tastes very homely, especially the chicken curry made with nadan kozhi, which you rarely find elsewhere. The staff are very friendly, and the overall management is excellent. The only drawback I felt is the pricing, which seems a bit on the higher side. Apart from that, everything else is really good.

The food is delicious and has a homemade quality. The traditional Kerala setup with banana leaf service made the experience truly authentic. We ordered porotta with nadan chicken curry and chicken roast. Every item served was full of authentic flavor and cooked to perfection. Though the prices were slightly on the higher side, the quality and taste more than made up for it. The ambience was very clean and well-maintained, and the restaurant gave a very homely, traditional vibe. A spot truly worth revisiting for authentic traditional Kerala cuisine.
Renjith K — Google review
Good food, almost like a shaap, with intense flavors. We loved the chicken liver and the duck roast. One thing we wouldnt recommend is the king fish fry. It was not marinated enough and was just passable. Seating and furniture is decent and basic.
Shijo J — Google review
Stopped at Vazhiyorakkada for a quick lunch and it was quite a nice experience overall. The service was fast, and the food was served on a banana leaf, which added a lovely traditional touch. The regular lunch meal was good, and we added a few extras like fish fry, mutton, and porotta. The food was slightly on the spicier side, but overall pretty decent. The restaurant has a very traditional Kerala ambience – not sophisticated, but authentic and lively. It was quite crowded when we visited, which usually means the food is good (and it was!). One highlight was definitely the Ada Payasam – thick, rich, and absolutely delicious! There is an option to sit in small huts for families, but we sat in the common dining area. The only drawback is parking – there’s some space, but oddly, there are signs saying you can’t park there, so that can be confusing. Overall, a good experience with quick service, tasty traditional food, and a vibrant atmosphere. We might stop by again on our next trip!

On the way to Kottayam, I had the opportunity to stop for lunch at Vazhiyorakkada Kilimanoor with a friend, and it turned out to be a truly delightful experience. We ordered two Kerala meals and opted to try some additional dishes like netholy Fry, Ayala Fry, and Kanava thoran . Every item served was full of authentic flavor and cooked to perfection. The freshness and richness of the dishes were evident in every bite, especially the seafood items, which stood out for their taste and texture. Though the prices were slightly on the higher side, the quality and taste more than made up for it. The ambience was very clean and well-maintained, and the restaurant gave a very homely, traditional vibe. One of the highlights was the Kerala Sadya served on a banana leaf, which added a nostalgic and festive touch to the meal — it really elevated the whole dining experience. I was also quite impressed with the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout. Overall, I would highly recommend Vahiyur Kadakali Manor for anyone craving authentic Kerala cuisine in a clean and welcoming environment.

Vazhiyorakada in Kilimanoor offers truly homely Kerala cuisine with a wonderful variety of side dishes to choose from along with the meals. The food tastes authentic and fresh, reminiscent of traditional home cooking. The ambiance is good and the service friendly, making it a great place for a satisfying meal. Highly recommended for those who appreciate genuine Kerala flavors and the option to customize their meal with multiple side dishes.

Nestled in the vibrant area of Sasthamangalam-Vellayambalam, Hotel Sri Aiswariya is a delightful haven for vegetarian food enthusiasts. This charming restaurant offers a unique twist on traditional dishes, such as their intriguing Paneer Biryani, which stands out with its balanced flavors compared to other local eateries that often overdo it with ingredients. The cleanliness and professionalism of the staff enhance your dining experience, ensuring that your needs are met promptly.
Neat and clean restaurant. Highly Recommend vegitarian restaurant in sasthamangalam-Vellayambalam area I tried their chole batura .it was so nice and tasty.. Perfectly matching with the specifications offered. Experienced suppliers servicing food very professionally and asking customer needs in a convenient manner and delivering food very speedy as per requirements.

A decent vegetarian restaurant in the area. The atmosphere looks a bit shabby, however the cleanliness is above average (very poor at the hand wash area) and provides a comfortable space for dining. The service is quick and to the point. Don't expect too much professionalism. My orders were delivered on time. I had Ghee Roast and Vada here. Both were above average. But they served the purpose. They have a separate juice counter outside. I ordered Orange juice which felt a bit stale. They accept both cards & UPI payments. If you are looking for a simple vegetarian restaurant you can go for this one. Not recommended for families considering the hygiene factor. -BeingBakasura

Small hotel in Sasthamangalam. What I loved about this place is the small setup and quite decent food. I tried the phulka roti with palak paneer which was good but a bit expensive for the quantity provided. Then I had a plate of parotta with kurma curry. Curry was good but had a lot of carrots( I mean excessive quantity of 🥕) . Coffee was decent and was very inexpensive than expected

Even though the atmosphere/ambience seems ok, the food doesn't keep justice to it. Yesterday I ordered Rasavada and Ghee Roast, it was terrible and unable to consume due to excessive salt in it. The service was petty bad 👎🏻 and I also found the wash area is unhygine.

Vayalil Hotel is known for its delectable South Indian cuisine that caters to various tastes. The restaurant offers a comfortable and well-kept ambiance with ample seating space. It also provides easily accessible public restrooms, adding to the convenience of the guests. With a lovely atmosphere and great value for money, Vayalil Hotel ensures a satisfying dining experience.
Went to the restaurant for lunch, but it was incredibly busy with all the seats occupied. While the ambiance was average, it had a good dining capacity. I decided to order a meal, that had white rice, some side dishes, pickles, and papadam. It turned out to be a satisfying choice, and I also tried their fish fry and lime juice. Everything I ordered was enjoyable, with the meal priced at 60 rs, the fish fry at 105 rs for tuna, and the lime juice at 25 rs. However, the downside was the slow service; it felt like the restaurant could benefit from hiring more staff, given its bustling nature. On a positive note, the washroom and wash area were clean, and the restaurant was easily accessible, although only street parking was available. In summary, my dining experience was generally pleasant, with good food and ample seating. However, the slow service was a noticeable drawback, which could have been improved by increasing the staff. Nevertheless, the restaurant's cleanliness and accessibility added to its appeal for a quick lunch outing.

As I gone through other reviews, i was wondering that how they can deliver 100% of different item than we ordering. I have ordered a ghee rice and chicken fry combo, which got exactly same and taste is fine. But other than this i ordered a porotta and chicken roast combo and got chicken curry. Chicken curry is not good but quantity is more than enough.

This is their Rs130 green salad. They don't even know what a green salad is. Other than green chili, there is not even a sign of anything green. No lettuce, no cabbage, no salad dressing, no olive oil, no nothing. Just cutting some raw carrot, tomato, onion and calling it green salad and charging Rs130 for it. Very very bad experience.

The south Indian restaurant Ariya Jyothi is a popular spot for vegetarians and vegans who enjoy good food at affordable prices. Ariya Jyothi Vegetarian Restaurant, situated near LIC Pattom, presents a mixed bag for vegetarian food enthusiasts. During our visit, we sampled a variety of dishes including 2 masala dosas, 1 ghee roast, and a set of chapatis. Unfortunately, the masala dosa and chapati fell short of expectations, lacking in flavor and value. The ghee roast also failed to impress our taste buds. On a positive note, the staff at Ariya Jyothi displayed commendable behavior, showcasing their courteous and attentive service. However, a significant drawback is the parking situation, which is quite challenging in the vicinity of the restaurant. Overall, the dining experience did not live up to our hopes, primarily due to the food quality and parking difficulties. I had an extremely bad experience here when it comes to service…I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt it was necessary to share my recent experience. The food at the restaurant was decent, but the service was well below expectations. From the moment we arrived, the servers seemed uninterested and inattentive. We waited a long time to be acknowledged, and even longer to receive menus and water. When we asked simple questions about the menu, the server was dismissive and appeared annoyed. Try don’t give respect towards the customer.

Ariya Jyothi Vegetarian Restaurant located in Pattom, and my experience was a mixed bag. I decided to try their poori and coffee, and unfortunately, they fell short of expectations. The poori and curry were average in terms of taste and presentation, failing to leave a lasting impression. One noticeable aspect of the restaurant was its location in a prime area. However, despite the advantageous position, it was surprising to find that the restaurant was not bustling with customers during my visit. In fact, I was the lone customer present, which could be attributed to the restaurant's lackluster ambiance and overall maintenance. On a positive note, the service at Ariya Jyothi was quick and efficient. Despite the lack of customers, the staff provided attentive service and ensured that my needs were promptly addressed. However, there is definite room for improvement when it comes to the restaurant's cleanliness and overall atmosphere. The wash area, in particular, could benefit from better upkeep. In summary, my dining experience at Ariya Jyothi Vegetarian Restaurant was a bit underwhelming. While the quick service was a highlight, the average taste of the poori and curry, coupled with the lack of ambiance and cleanliness, left much to be desired. It's worth noting that the restaurant's prime location and easy accessibility may be appealing to some, but for a truly satisfying dining experience, one may need to explore other options in the area.

The first time I had food from here, the coffee and dosas were so delicious.Reminded me of those old tamil thattukadas. But they are not consistent in their cooking.Coffee and ada dosa tasted awful the last time. Masala Dosha - (3.5/5) Costs Rs 65. It was fine and the filling was very good. Recommended highly as they are good for stomach and preferable to have before or after a travel. The place is well maintained. Slight improvement in the sambar is advisable as it felt like watery. The tomato chutney served was excellent and spicy too. Fair enough to fill your tummy for a yummy breakfast. They have good variety menu available. Neat and well maintained.

I went to this restaurant after hearing a lot of good reviews, but my experience was not that great. The place did not look clean, the sinks were clogged, and the surroundings were unpleasant. To make it worse, I even found hair strands on the plate. We ordered parotta, dosa and bhatura. The parotta was not soft; it was heavy and hard to finish. Overall, the food did not match the hype and felt overpriced for the quality. Honestly, it was not worth the visit, and I won't suggest this place to others.

SPR Family Restaurant in Balaramapuram is renowned for its delectable mutton dishes. Visitors rave about the succulent and flavorful mutton peratt, which features tender pieces in a delicious gravy. The kanthari mutton, known for its spicy kick, also receives high praise. Pair these dishes with perfectly prepared porotta and idiyappam for a satisfying meal.

I am a mutton lover and i wanted to try this hotel bcoz its famous for mutton dishes. Tried mutton perattu, mutton and mutton kanthari. Perattu was really tasty. But the kanthari was an utter flop. Ordered it expecting spiciness but it was sweet and oily. Mutton curry had an old style taste which i liked Porotta was top notch but appam and puttu was too sticky due to poor rice quality. Also tried their chicken fry and perattu which again wasn't satisfying me. Overall it was an average experience. I used to visit here in my childhood and it was exceptional. We took a drive down to a nursery in Balaramapuram, and on our way back, we decided to stop by S P R Restaurant. There’s parking available inside the compound, but it was full when we arrived. Luckily, we found a spot just outside. An auto-rickshaw driver who had just finished his meal at the restaurant kindly knocked on our window and offered us his parking space as he was leaving — such a warm and thoughtful gesture that made us feel welcome right away. The security staff also assisted us in parking carefully so our tyres wouldn’t scrape the shop’s steps, which we really appreciated. The road in front is quite narrow for a highway, and we hope it gets widened in the near future. That said, we parked and headed in. The restaurant was packed, and we initially thought we’d have to wait. But after washing our hands and waiting for a bit, one of the waiters found us two seats, and we were seated opposite a couple already enjoying their meal. We ordered one mutton roast with idiyappam. As we started eating, we noticed the couple across from us were enjoying a delicious-looking dish with bone marrow curry. One bite into our mutton roast, and we immediately knew we had to order more. We ended up ordering another mutton curry, followed by another plate of mutton roast. The taste was just that good! In the end, we also ordered two mutton roasts and two mutton curries as takeaway. It was a memorable afternoon, filled with great food and warm service. Thank you to the team at S P R for the lovely experience — we’re definitely looking forward to coming back!

Contour Rocks Restaurant, located near MC Road Keezhayikonam, is a customer-friendly place with ample parking space and a serene ambiance. The restaurant offers succulent and delectable dishes like Chicken biryani and chilly beef, although some items may be heavily priced. It is owned by the Kerala tourism department and offers both Chinese and Kerala style cuisine in an AC hall or non-AC outdoor seating. The restaurant prides itself on its cleanliness, including the availability of clean toilets.
A very nice restaurant with amble parking space. Very clean and good looking restaurant. Now it serves only vegetarian food. Food spread of average as they have only dosa and Puri for the breakfast. Food is tasty and the service is ok. Cradle for babies available. Price is reasonable for that level of restaurant. Breakfast cost rs. 180 for a couple

One of the restaurant in this road side you can enter with out any confusion, because food is okay compared to other same class restaurant.. but not extraordinary. I visited 3 times here. The main attractive is the location. Lot of parking space. And and a massive rock view just behind the restaurant.. Neatness is also not bad. They maintain it. But need to change the staff appearance. Price is affordable. My rating out of 5 is Food 3.5 Neatness 3.5 Spacious 4 Parking 5 Location 5 Price 3.5

Contour Rocks by DTPC Trivandrum is situated near MC Road Keezhayikonam is usually attracted by the crag behind. Parking space is ample, calm and quiet customer friendly place and had nice ambience inside and outside .Pieces of Chicken biryani and chilly beef were succulent and delectable.Quantity and quality was up to the mark but the quantity of Chilly Beef was less . Do Check the menu before buying food because food was heavily priced. It took half an hour to deliver food . Air condition was not working properly washrooms were well maintained and clean.

Good food . Location also good . Ample space for parking . Chinese and kerala style food are available . This restaurant is owned by kerala tourism department . AC hall and Non AC (outdoor ) is also available. Very neat restaurant. Toilet is very clean and best in class . Tea coffee is available . Staff service also good . They accept card also . Easy to notice while traveling. It's not that cheap , but comparing the facilities rate is not that high

This restaurant is clean and good ambiance. But the staffs are not customer friendly. They are taking too much time to take and serve orders. Food is very expensive compared to other class hotels, quality of food is normal. I have ordered porotta and tattu dosa..for a tattu dosa they charged rupees. I will not recommended this hotel. The out side view of the hotel is so beautiful. That is the only plus point.
Rajesh A — Google review
A class restaurant. Contour rocks has Good ambiance, had fried rice and butter chicken. Though it is comparatively low in quantity, it tasted good. They offer excellent customer service. It is a best place for family to go. It was a good experience.
Shefin S — Google review
The best thing about this restaurant is it's location and the looks. Tucked in the nook of a beautiful disused quarry, and adorned with a beautiful sculpture of a raging Bull, the place catches your eye from the MC road. Unfortunately the good things stop there. The food is below average and on the expensive side. A weary traveller may forgive all those but I felt the service too lacking a welcomness. I really hope the owners rectify these defects and make this place achieve its vast potential.
Sarath C — Google review
It's no more a veg hotel, veg and non veg dishes are available, this is the fifth time that I had gone there, this time the experience was really bad ,i ordered dosa and they provided freshly prepared dosa with frozen Chutney, which clearly says that they prepared it some other time and had kept it in refrigerator, and even asked to get some hot chutney it's frozen and asked to reheat it , but they didn't .sambar was little bit hot(means some how they managed to reheat it) taste and appearance was not that of fresh one . Orderd veg pakoda and got onion pakoda.

GP Hotel is an Indian restaurant in Trivandrum, Kerala serving a variety of curry dishes. The restaurant is attached to the GP Tea Shop, where they serve a range of tea drinks and snacks such as crispy banana fritters (pazhampori). The beef roast with strong tea is a must-try item at the restaurant.
This hotel serves delicious and hot food. The main attraction of this hotel is Pazhampori beef and porotta beef combos. They have a decent dine in space and the customer service is also good. The tea they serve is also good. The price is reasonable for all the dishes. Try the tea as well…
Arjun C — Google review
GP Hotel in Sastamangalam, Thiruvananthapuram, is a no-frills eatery famed for its delicious beef dishes, with the **Pazham Pori Beef Roast** being a standout favorite. The beef roast is perfectly spiced and pairs uniquely well with the sweetness of fried bananas, making it a must-try for food enthusiasts. While the taste is exceptional, the ambience is simple and functional, focusing solely on delivering great food. However, parking can be challenging as space in front of the hotel is limited. If you value authentic flavors over fancy settings, this spot is worth a visit.
VINODKUMAR R — Google review
Ah yes ! The iconic GP Hotel of Trivandrum. Being a trivian, never got the chance to visit this place until today. Went there for the Pazhampori and Beef combo but unfortunately the Pazhampori was over as we reached a bit late (8pm). But we decided not to turn back and ordered the Parotta and Beef fry combo. The porotta was reallyyy good as it was just made hot-hot. While coming to the beef, the taste and the flavours were great.. but the beef was a bit hard. For anyone coming for pazhampori, it starts as early as 6am and Beef as early as 9am. And note that Pazhampori gets over by 6:30-7pm.. so don't be late like us if u wanna try out the iconic combo. Anyways I'll be back for having out the Pazhampori+Beef combo. Cheers.

Famous for kerala parota and beef as well as banana fry and beef. I found the beef tasty but a little bit spicy to my liking, but still would have it again. Their tea is very tasty.
Santosh J — Google review
One of the best beef dishes I’ve had in Thiruvananthapuram! This local restaurant is rightly famous for its beef roast and beef fry — packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of spice. The parotta was soft, flaky, and served hot, making it the perfect combo. Don’t come here expecting luxury or fancy ambience — it’s all about the taste and that local food charm. If you love spicy Kerala-style beef and chicken dishes, this place is a must-visit. Come hungry, leave happy!
Ananthu B — Google review
Tasty beef roast and porotta at affordable rates here in GP hotel. They are famous for their banana fry and beef combo but personally I didn't like the combo as the sweetness of banana dominates the taste of beef. Surprised by the rate at which they serve the dishes with good quantity and quality. Both beef biryani and beef roast cost 100 each. Porotta with beef roast is a must try here. Located opposite SRKM hospital, parking is a hassle
Ramdas P — Google review
Editing the review after 6 years, Worst food. All the items ordered was tasting sweet, even the gravy provided was sweet as if they have added sugar. The poroto was not cooked properly and tasted sweet, The beef Fry ordered was sweet and had 1/3rd fat and flubbery pieces. Even the banana Fritters( pazhampori ordered was extra sweetened and was rubbery bcoz of the maida mix used, utter disappointed by the restaurant this time. Hope they will look into it and fix the dishes peoperly. Old review: posted before 6 Years,Best Beef in Town. And it is considerably pocket friendly too.Ambience is as any normal hotel and is opposite to Ramakrishna Mission Hospital Sasthamangalam. The Best Combination that I like are Kerala Porota+ Beef Roast+ Banana Fry and offcourse egg curry. It Has Various Other Options Like Masala Dosa,Meals,Tea,and various items that any hotel has to offer. The staff are fast and promptly cater to customers.they are friendly and Serves better than any hotels of this budget or standard. The bill system is still hand written and does not include GST.I Usualy prefer to go in the evening,When the beef is nycly fried and crispy to make it more mouthwatering. There is parking space in the road in front of it which is usualy conjusted at all times.Rush continues from morning till the shop closes.Must try Eatery. Not listed in Any Online Delivery apps.So we should physically go there have a bite of what the hotel has to offer. To get there U can Easily Google and See the Map Directions as it is lil inside to the main Road.Dont get confused, as they do not hav any other branches anywhere.Dont get tricked with similar Names. To get the feel go with a bunch of friends and enjoy it.Happy Fooding.peace 🤗

One of the best beef fry in trivandrum. I go here only for that. The much hyped pazhampori beef combo isn't always good as most of the time i got under ripe hard banana. They go wrong in selecting banana for sure. Hats off to the beef. Porotta or meals are all average level items. Its a very old restaurant so that pazhama can be felt in everything. Beef is must try Update Tried chocken biryani and its the worst. Please avoid

This place was exactly what I was looking for! The food was delicious, prepared with so much love and warmth — I could truly feel it. The staff were incredibly welcoming and super cool. They even gave us some secret deals, which was such a sweet gesture. 🫰🏻 And the ambience!!! — absolutely perfect. Whether you're with the right company or simply enjoying some time alone, it's the kind of place where you can truly unwind and soak in the moment. I loved every bit of it! This will definitely be one of my go-to spots whenever I'm in TVPM. And lastly, they offer an amazing selection of vegetarian dishes too, that was unexpected tho, but I was too impressed with it.

Please let the team know in advance if we need to celebrate a birthday or other important occasion so that lovely arrangements can be made. The food plating looks fantastic and is of high quality. They make certain to preserve the delicious flavor in addition to the plating quality. The dessert area is exceptional and unique.

Great service, inviting ambience and good food. Visited on a Sunday by late afternoon for lunch and ordered a sandwich and a main course. The staff were very patient while taking orders, serving food and clearing the table. Food was promptly served, tasted good and the quantity was sufficient and so were the drinks, except for their lesser than expected quantity. Would definitely recommend and revisit if we're at this part of the city.

I have started with Jalapeno Cheese Poppers as starters, followed by Cream of Vegetable Soup and Veg Fried Rice & Paneer for the main course. The starter and soup were both delicious. The main course tasted okay. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. There is a moderate parking space available, but it is located slightly away from the restaurant.

I ordered a Utthappam on 08/01/2025 and thought I would eat it at home, but when I got home and took it to eat, it was filled with salt and curry leaves. The first thing I saw was that curry leaves were added to the Utthappam. When I say curry leaves, it is more curry leaves than onions. If I had to take medicine, I would have ordered something and eaten it, but my phone's internet was also out. In the end, I did not take medicine or eat food. Let no one have such an experience. It is because of the trust we, the customers, have in a hotel that the hotel owners or employees destroy in such situations. Anyway, I have to say, at least be careful and provide service.

One of the better hotels in this area. The food was fresh and hot, but the service was the real highlight. We ordered a full vegetarian meal and a set of poori. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great vegetarian food

It's a nice budget place with nice taste. We had meals, Ghee Roast and Idiyappam. We went there a little late around 2.45 pm, so most of the items were not there. All the items ordered were good, Idiyappam was a little dry, but the kurma was hot and went well with Idiyappam. Coconut chutney tasted fresh with Sambar. Ghee Roast was kind of nice. Meals was Good. Overall a nice pure veg restaurant in this location where we couldn't find a single one nearby.
