The Arc de Triomphe is an iconic triumphal arch located in the 8th arrondissement district of Paris. It was constructed between 1806 and 1836 to honor Napoleon's military victories during the first French Empire. The monument stands at 164 feet tall and 148 feet wide, adorned with intricate designs on its four arches.
Visiting the Arc de Triomphe for the first time was truly amazing. Standing beneath this monumental arch, I could really feel the weight of history and the beauty of its design. Every carving and detail tells a story, and being there in person made me appreciate it so much more than just seeing it in pictures. Climbing the 284 steps to the top was a challenge, but absolutely worth it—the view of Paris stretched out in every direction, with the Eiffel Tower standing tall and the Champs-Élysées looking endless. The view was breathtaking and made the whole experience unforgettable. It’s one of those places that captures the magic of Paris in a single moment.

【Quick Summary】A spectacular view of Paris at night! The illuminated Arc de Triomphe and the sparkling Eiffel Tower view from the top are absolutely breathtaking. 【Purpose of Visit】Perfect for an evening visit, especially for night view appreciation, right after checking in on your arrival day. ✅ Experience (Highlights) After a flight from Tokyo, we checked into the hotel around 4 PM and headed straight to the iconic Arc de Triomphe. * ✅ The View from the Arc: While the illuminated Arc de Triomphe itself is grand and full of charm, **the Eiffel Tower's sparkle illumination (Champagne Flash) seen clearly from the top of the Arc is truly unmissable.** * By visiting during the transition from dusk to night, we enjoyed a complete panorama: the grandeur of the Arc, the lights along the Champs-Élysées, and the dazzling sparkle of the Eiffel Tower. * ✅ Final Impression: I believe everyone who witnesses this view will fall in love with Paris. It was a magical moment—the highlight of a perfect Parisian evening.

An iconic monument that beautifully captures the spirit and history of France! 🇫🇷 The Arc de Triomphe, commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1806, honors those who fought and died for France during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. The intricate carvings and sculptures are stunning, and the eternal flame beneath it pays tribute to the Unknown Soldier — a deeply moving sight. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking, offering a perfect 360° view of Paris and the Champs-Élysées. Visit around sunset to see the city glow and the Eiffel Tower sparkle — truly unforgettable! ✨
Ashmeet S — Google review
The Arc de Triomphe is one of Paris’s most iconic monuments — bold, majestic, and deeply symbolic. Standing at the top of the Champs-Élysées, it commands attention from every angle, perfectly aligned with the avenue and the city’s twelve radiating boulevards. Built on the orders of Napoleon I to honor the French armies, the arch carries incredible detail — from sculpted victories to engraved names of generals and battles. Seeing it up close, you realize how massive it really is, far larger and more imposing than photos suggest. I visited recently, and the experience was unforgettable. The monument stands proudly at the Place Charles de Gaulle, surrounded by a never-ending swirl of traffic, yet it somehow feels peaceful once you step onto the pedestrian walkway beneath it. You can climb to the top terrace (about 280 steps), and the view is absolutely worth it — the Eiffel Tower, La Défense, and the Champs-Élysées stretch out in perfect symmetry. If you time it around sunset, Paris glows golden, and the city truly feels eternal. “A symbol of victory, memory, and beauty — standing atop the Arc de Triomphe feels like standing at the heart of Paris itself.”
Amrit D — Google review
I visited the observatory in spring, summer, autumn and winter because the colours around the Arc de Triomphe change with each season, and they are beautiful. The view is also different by day and by night; while the Eiffel Tower offers a lovely panorama, the Champs-Élysées seen from here, especially at night, is even more striking and well worth the climb. Most people do not take the lift but climb the very narrow circular stone staircase, so those with mobility issues or the elderly should use the lift instead. Tickets must be purchased in advance for your preferred time slot on the official website. The staff at the ticket desk are very friendly, so if you need assistance, simply queue and they will be glad to help.

Just visited the iconic Arc de Triomphe in Paris and I'm still pinching myself! This monumental arch was commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 to honor his Grande Armée and was finally completed in 1836. The monument's sheer grandeur and historical significance left me in awe. The views from the top are breathtaking, with the City of Light stretching out in every direction. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the eternal flame add a poignant touch to this symbol of French national pride. A must-visit for anyone traveling to Paris!
Souad Y — Google review
It's a super cool and intricate sculpture/monument but I was a bit disappointed. I assume it's because there's not much to do once you're here aside from looking at it. There is the ability to go on top of it, which I'm sure would've made it incredibly memorable, but the line was huge. Still incredibly enjoyable to observe all the different sculptures found encrusted along the sides. There was also a busker with an accordion playing some great tunes in the tunnel there. The most fun thing though is watching other tourists attempt to cross twelve lanes of traffic like a bunch of headless chickens.

Pre-purchased tickets to walk up to the top of the Arc de Triomphe. It is a circular staircase to the top with two small landings in case you need to take a break. I highly recommend going just prior to sunset to get some beautiful views and photos. It is a beautiful historical structure and worth a visit. Spent about an hour and a half roaming around the Arc. You enter an exit through staircases from the Champs Elysee.

The Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, dating back to the 12th century, stands as a magnificent example of Gothic architecture along the Seine River. This iconic landmark, made famous by Victor Hugo's novel 'The Hunchback of Notre-Dame,' suffered a devastating fire in April 2019. Despite this setback, efforts are underway to restore and reopen the cathedral by April 2024.
Visiting the newly reopened Notre-Dame Cathedral was a dream come true! On this sunny Monday, I joined a well-organized queue that took about 20 minutes—well worth the wait (no need to buy tickets). The staff ensured a respectful atmosphere, requiring gentlemen to remove hats, dress neatly, and maintain silence, which added to the sacred ambiance. Inside, the cathedral is nothing short of breathtaking. The restored beauty of the soaring arches, intricate stained glass, and serene orderliness left me in awe. Every detail radiates history, artistry, and spiritual grandeur. The experience was profoundly moving, evoking a deep sense of reverence and wonder. Notre-Dame is a true masterpiece, and I’m already looking forward to returning to bask in its timeless magnificence. Highly recommend this unforgettable visit to anyone!

Notre-Dame absolutely took my breath away! The cathedral is even more beautiful in person than in pictures — the details on the outside are incredible, and the stained glass inside is just magical. You can really feel the history in every corner. What’s amazing is that it’s completely free to enter the main cathedral! You can just walk in, take your time, and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s such a peaceful, awe-inspiring place right in the middle of Paris. Even though parts are still being restored, it’s 100% worth visiting. Don’t miss it — it’s one of those spots that truly captures the spirit of Paris!
Coralie P — Google review
An absolute must see when visiting Paris. If you’re able to climb up the towers, I highly recommend it. We were able to get a ticket for 6 PM and made it to the top right around 7 PM in time for sunset. It is over 400 steps of a spiral staircase, but totally worth the view. As for the cathedral highly recommend booking your tickets two days in advance so you don’t have to wait in the extremely line long line. But if you do wait in the line, it does move pretty fast. The cathedral has been restored beautifully. It was such an amazing thing to see.
I P — Google review
What a breathtaking building! It’s truly stunning, from both close up and at a distance. Whether in the day time or night-time. Although the rear is not finished with the rebuild following the fire it’s still brilliant. The detailing on the front facade is gorgeous. It’s free to enter the main cathedral but the queues are SO long that you’ll need to decide whether the time spent queuing and missing all the other amazing sites of Paris is worth it for you personally. You really have to see it in person to truly appreciate all the intricacies.

An Absolute Must-Visit - Top 3 in Paris! Visiting Notre Dame was a truly moving experience, and it's easily in our top 3 must-visit sites in Paris. The history of this building is just breathtaking. We used a tour guide, which was a great decision as they brought the cathedral to life with amazing stories about its design, architecture, and its famous association with "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame." Learning about the historical artifacts that are housed inside, like the legendary Crown of Thorns, was incredible. Seeing it standing so resiliently after the tragic fire is a powerful reminder of its importance to Paris and the world. Even with the ongoing restoration, the spirit and grandeur of this iconic cathedral are undeniable. You simply cannot miss it.

My husband and I were Blessed to be able to attend a service here at Notre-Dame Cathedral. The total experience was so awe inspiring. The service was wonderful and then we explored and just loved every part of it. The colors in the stained glass and how the light hits them is just spectacular. There are no words to do them justice. The architecture is just wonderful. We were so thrilled to get to experience this wonderful piece of history. We tried to get tickets online, but couldn't so we showed up early on a weekday and were able to get in without waiting. So I would recommend going early in the day. The day before we went in the afternoon and the line was around the building and then some. It truly is worth the wait to see and we want to come back when they have the outside done as well.
Teresa B — Google review
Notre Dame is the largest cathedral I have ever seen. With over 29 chapels and many relics of various Catholic Saints. I was able to go to confession and speak to the priest who mentioned that the altar area , some sculptures were not touched by the fire of 2019. The spire has been rebuilt and the church looks in immaculate condition. Be prepared to wait in line outside. The line moves relatively quickly. There are many beautiful paintings on the walls. The sacristy costs 12 euros to enter but it holds the important clothing and artifacts for the mass. It also contains important relics of the wood from the passion, and a crown of thorns that I didn't see on display. I bought the audio guide which costs €6. Its explains the sections of the cathedral and the exterior parts of the building. This is a fascinating cathedral that you don't want to miss while in Paris, there is no entry fee to the cathedral, except into the sacristy.

Of course, an amazing experience. Yes it was busy but it moves quicky. We queued for about 25mins, and spent 30mins inside. The stained glass is amazing and the stone is incredibly white, after (i understand) snad blasting. Even as a non-religious person, one can appreciate beautiful architecture and ornaments. Well worth the wait :)

The Eiffel Tower, an iconic symbol of Paris and France, was completed in 1889 by Gustave Eiffel. Despite initial plans for its demolition after two years, the tower has endured as one of the city's most popular attractions. With its 18,038 pieces of metal, it offers three floors and options to ascend via stairs or lifts. Visitors can also enjoy restaurants and bars inside. The tower's lighting effects at night are a must-see.
A Magical Day at the Eiffel Tower I visited the Eiffel Tower today and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment I stepped onto the Champ de Mars, the Iron Lady’s latticework felt both grand and surprisingly graceful. The views from the top are breathtaking—Paris stretches out in every direction like a living postcard, with the Seine curving through the city and landmarks popping up everywhere you look. The experience felt smooth and well-organized. Staff were friendly, and even with the crowds, the lines moved faster than I expected. I loved taking my time on each level—there’s something special about pausing with a coffee and just soaking in the panorama. As evening fell, the tower’s sparkle made the whole scene feel downright romantic and cinematic. If you’re planning a visit, I’d recommend booking tickets ahead of time and going a bit before sunset so you catch daylight, golden hour, and the first twinkle after dark. Whether you take the elevator or brave the stairs, the journey itself is part of the fun. All in all, today’s visit was unforgettable. The Eiffel Tower isn’t just a must-see—it’s a must-feel. Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Aryan P — Google review
• No ticket needed: You don’t have to buy a ticket to enter the tower or queue for elevators—just pick a great external vantage and you’re free to shoot at your own pace. • Excellent photo spots nearby: Many well-documented locations give iconic Tower views from outside—e.g., Rue de l’Université, Rue de Buenos‑Aires, Avenue de Camoëns. These spots are highlighted in photographer guides as “hidden” or less-crowded alternatives. • Flexible timing: Because you’re not tied to a ticket time, you can go early morning, late evening, or at twilight to capture different lighting and mood. • Lower cost: Skipping entrance means saving time and money, and focusing instead on the view and atmosphere. • Great for casual or photographic visits: If your priority is the Tower in your photo, rather than ascending it, this approach works perfectly. ⸻ ⚠️ What to keep in mind • You miss the “inside” experience: You won’t go up into the tower, see its internal architecture, or get panoramic views from heights—it’s purely an “outside vantage” experience. • Crowds/lines possible at popular spots: Even external photo spots can be crowded (especially the very popular ones like Trocadéro or Rue de l’Université). Some guides warn of “many people” even at street viewpoints. • Lighting & viewpoint selection matter: Good photos depend heavily on time of day, weather, background composition (street, river, buildings). If you go at the wrong time you may get harsh light or less dramatic angle. • Expect standard viewpoint, not “secret”: Many external spots now appear in photo-spot guides and social media; so while you’re not entering the tower, you might share the view with others. • Still some cost/time: If you go out for the trip, you’ll still invest time (walking, transport) to reach a good baseline vantage.

Great view from the top (actually 2nd floor is enough, don't have to go all the way to the top unless you want to pay extra, IMHO). All that metal took 2 years 2 months amd 5 days to put together. 328 steps to the 1st floor, and probably the same on the way down. They do have bathrooms on the floors thankfully. I feel I earned the right to take the elevator back down. Make sure to buy online tickets in advance, they get booked up fast! Also having an e-ticket gets you into the fast line!
Jay K — Google review
The Eiffel Tower is one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. Built for the 1889 Exposition Universelle by engineer Gustave Eiffel, it was originally meant to be a temporary structure. Today, it stands as a global symbol of Paris and is one of the most visited monuments on earth. I booked tickets online to reach the top floor of the Eiffel Tower. Online booking is the only way to get tickets, and it is highly in demand on both weekdays and weekends. It is important to book in advance and arrive on time. After entering the premises, there is a security check to pass through. Depending on your ticket type, you can take the elevator or stairs to reach the second floor. From there, you get a beautiful view of the Paris skyline. If you have tickets for the top floor, you can continue by elevator or stairs to reach the summit. There are no strict time limits once you reach the top. The top floor usually closes around 6 p.m. I recommend visiting close to sunset to enjoy the stunning views and unforgettable atmosphere. If you are visiting Paris even once in your lifetime, this is a must see. I strongly suggest going to the top floor without worrying too much about the extra cost. It is absolutely worth it for the incredible experience. Overall, a memorable and breathtaking visit that should not be missed!

visiting the Eiffel Tower is an extraordinary experience. Beyond being an iconic symbol of Paris, it represents a masterpiece of 19th-century engineering and design innovation. The use of exposed iron structure, precision in detailing, and elegance in proportions make it both a technical and aesthetic triumph. Standing beneath it, you can truly appreciate how revolutionary Gustave Eiffel’s vision was for its time. The panoramic views from the top are breathtaking, but equally impressive is observing the tower’s structure up close, it’s a lesson in structural clarity, material honesty, and timeless design. A must-see not just for tourists, but for anyone who appreciates architecture and engineering excellence.
Mr. F — Google review
What a beautiful view. Going to the top was amazing. You got to take your time. You got to buy expensive champagne and enjoy yourself. Going down to the second floor where the restaurants and the gift shops are is a must do also. They have a cafe. They have a high-end restaurant. They have seeding for you just to sit and enjoy the view.

Our very first visit to the Eiffel Tower was truly special and something we’ll always remember as a family. Seeing this iconic landmark in person with my wife and our 3-year-old son was an emotional and exciting experience. No matter how many times you’ve seen it in photos, standing in front of it is a whole different feeling—the sheer beauty and elegance of the tower are breathtaking. We chose to go in the evening, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun began to set, the atmosphere around the Eiffel Tower became magical. The tower looked stunning against the glowing sky, and when it started to sparkle for 5 minutes at the beginning of each hour, it felt like the whole crowd paused to admire it. Watching those golden lights twinkle was a sight that truly gave us goosebumps. The area was filled with a lively and joyful crowd—tourists, families, and couples all enjoying the moment together. We spent time sitting in the gardens nearby, where our little boy could run around while we relaxed and soaked in the atmosphere. From there, we had a perfect view of the tower as it lit up against the evening sky. It was such a beautiful family moment—peaceful, yet filled with excitement from everyone around. The Eiffel Tower is not just a monument, but an experience. Sitting there together, watching it sparkle, made our first visit unforgettable and something we’ll treasure forever.

Proud to have actually been there to see it. Incredible fascinating structure. Great view, if one manages to go up for a look-see. Naturally, a ticket needs to be bought as per one's time slot. There are lifts to take you up, some tiny shops to let you browse and to buy souvenirs for back home give-aways.

The Louvre Museum, a former historic palace, is home to an extensive art collection spanning from Roman sculptures to the famous 'Mona Lisa' by da Vinci. The museum's official boutique, Chalcographie du Louvre, offers a variety of high-end gifts and limited-edition artist prints. With its architectural significance and iconic glass pyramid entrance, the museum showcases valuable paintings, sculptures, jewelry, artifacts, and even features a dedicated area for the Museum of Advertising.
Loved it, it is really amazing 😍 we bought the tickets in advance and spent only 30 minutes in a line as it was supposed. We did not have much time but three hours were enough to see what i wanted especially the Louvre Couture ❤️ audio guide appeared quite complicated 🤣 but the security people were very friendly and helpful 💖 If you are going to visit Louvre do not plan anything else on that day simply enjoy with a nice walk in the park or surrounding streets and try local cafe or restaurant...

It was a short time in Paris so I can't book the ticket in advance. And the day I come to the museum close( on Tuesday). You can book the tickets 🎟 from the website. But I had a chance to visit around, it was a very big place. If you want to see all you need to take more days for it. You have to book before you come. If not, you'll have to wait a few hours to buy a ticket. It was a famous place and I guess it was a main museum in Paris. I was going down to get some relax and play some game 🎮 down there. That was a fun and great experience. I might come back to visit the Louvre museum next time. Highly recommended when you visit Paris

An unforgettable experience! It’s the biggest and one of the most visited museums in the world. The Louvre is truly a treasure trove of world history and art — from the Mona Lisa’s mysterious smile to the grand halls lined with masterpieces. Although the lines are long, it’s absolutely worth the wait. Give yourself plenty of time — you’ll want to get lost in its endless beauty!

World's biggest museum so you have to visit it when in Paris. Worth the visit because there are some world class works of art here. Mona Lisa is the most popular art piece in this museum and it will always be crowded to view it. But plenty of signs leading you to exactly where this is located. The queue was not too bad on a Thursday morning. I reserved for 10am and got in around 10:20am. You line up right outside the glass pyramid. There will be signs for the different times you reserved for. Bring a water bottle with water because the museum did not have a single water fountain. I consciously looked for them and did not find any. Or you can buy an expensive bottle of water from their cafeteria. I stayed for 4 hours and looks like prime time was around 1pm. The cafeteria was packed and people were standing to eat.

Totally worth the visit, but be prepared to walk for more than 4 hours if you want to see everything it has to offer. A lot of different cultures, time periods and artifacts. One of the best museums I’ve ever visited! Buy the tickets in advance and be there 10mins before your time slot!
Isidora V — Google review
The greatest museum I have ever seen in Europe. You can see so many different arts. I recommend buying tickets in advance online, otherwise there is a 1-1,5 hour waiting time to entry. Prepare to spend the entire day in the museum. You need about 6-7 hours to see all the museum. You can find coffee shops inside, or bring something to eat with you

The Panthéon is an 18th-century mausoleum in Paris with a grand colonnaded facade. Originally intended as a church, it now serves as the final resting place for notable French citizens. This Neoclassical monument is a prime example of Enlightenment architecture and houses the remains of influential figures such as Voltaire, Rousseau, Hugo, and Curie.
Sizable place. Beautiful building. I liked how there were multiple themes going on with the art. (Christianity, Genevieve, etc) The crypt is interesting because there are many famous/important historical figures in there. But all the crypts are the same/redone. The rooftop was closed.on my day.

An extremely interesting historical place with thumbs of famous French. It worths to go down to the thumbs, to learn about those politicians, philosophers, authors, scientists, but I liked the large space and pieces of history on the ground floor. Beautiful, amazing, original.

Beautiful building. Not crowded. The crypt is amazing with notable historical figures (Victor Hugo) to current historical figures. The ambience was definitely church-like and quiet, respectful. Definitely worth a visit. Thd Pantheon is included in The Paris Pass, which I highly recommend purchasing if visiting Paris and it's plethora of museums.
Kathy N — Google review
It was an amazing experience for me and my family. The building is pompous and looks amazing as it stands above the city. The paintings look nice and the staff is friendly and welcoming. There’s a small reconstruction of the Pantheon inside one of its halls, so you can imagine the architecture better.
VM H — Google review
A grand and sizeable building, we were there rather early in the morning and it wasn’t open to go inside, but from the outside it’s still impressive, if you’re able to go inside you can see tombs of famous and influential people and view various art themes.
Jamie H — Google review
A very impresive building originaly used as a church dedicated to Saint Geneveva. After the french revolution the body of the saint was burned and the ashes were thrown into the Seine and the building was transformed into a secular temple dedicated to the great men of the French nation. Voltaire, Victor Hugo, Emile Zola, Alexandre Duma, Marie Curie, are buried here. Also here, from the center of the dome, Foucault's pendulum descends, through which he demonstrated that the Earth revolves around the sun.
Alina P — Google review
Absolutely stunning to visit and see the gorgeous artwork inside and the buildings architecture. Don’t forget to go and see the crypt as many people miss this, but it is very beautiful too.

Weirdly enough I visited this place 3 times already in a year. Honestly it just takes you once to fully visit the Panthéon, feel the special solemn atmosphere and engulf yourself in the stories of France's history. The queue also isn't long (for a under-26yo free unreserved entry), the surrounding square is beautiful too and don't forget to visit the church nearby where lies Saint Geneviève.

Palais Garnier is a 19th-century Italian-style opera house in Paris, known for its opulent design and historical significance. The building features a stunning ceiling painted by Chagall and houses a library museum. Its exterior is adorned with pillars and busts, reflecting Napoleon III's architectural taste. Inside, visitors can marvel at the grand marble Grand Staircase, lavish gilding, onyx balconies, and rich red theater seats famously depicted in 'Phantom of the Opera.'
Palais Garnier is incredible! I did the self guided audio tour, it was an hour long on an iPad with headphones, it walks you through the building so you know exactly where to go. It's interactive but also allows you to pause the audio to take in as much of an area as you'd like. The guide ends at the start of the gift shop. Really a wonderful experience!! Highly recommend!

A truly unforgettable experience! This is a very elegant place where you can fully enjoy the stunning architecture and timeless charm of the Opera Garnier. Every detail, from the grand staircases to the intricate frescoes and gilded decorations, showcases the history and artistry of this iconic Paris landmark. The atmosphere is simply magical, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a masterpiece. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates beauty, culture, and a touch of luxury.

We did the Guided Mysteries of the Palais Garnier Tour at 5pm. The theater closes its doors and made the after hours experience even more alluring. They offer several different guided tours and immersive experiences at the Palais Garnier that focus on the building's history and architecture. Our tour highlighted the mysteries surrounding the building's construction and the "Phantom" legend, and sat in the Phantom's box. Marc Chagall painted the ceiling of the Paris Opera House(Palais Garnier). The finished mural, covering nearly 2,400 square, the spectacular masterpiece is breath taking. One of the most beautiful places to experience.

I visited the Opéra Garnier in Paris because I have visited city many times before but never this opera house. It was a very interesting and beautiful place to see. The building looks large and detailed from the outside, and the inside is clean, bright, and carefully kept. I took the self-guided tour, and the ticket cost €15 for one adult. Buying the ticket online was simple, and there was no long wait when I arrived in the morning. The audio guide explained the history of the opera house in a clear way. The Opéra Garnier was ordered by Emperor Napoleon III and designed by Charles Garnier, a young architect who won a competition in 1861. The construction started that same year and took fourteen years to finish. It opened in 1875 and became the main home for opera and ballet in Paris. Today, it is mostly used for ballet, while most opera shows are held at the newer Opéra Bastille. Inside, there are large marble stairs, gold decorations, and many paintings. The main hall is wide and bright, and the theatre has red seats and a big chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The ceiling painting by Marc Chagall was added in 1964 and gives a nice mix of old and new art. I spent about one and a half hours walking around. It was quite crowded, but I could take my time to look at everything. I think the visit was worth the price, I learned a lot about French history and saw a very important part of Paris’s culture. I would suggest visiting it if you are interested in art, history, or nice buildings.

This is a place everyone must see when visiting Paris. The building is amazing! Fans of Phantom of the Opera will be delighted to see where it all happens! Unfortunately, they don’t allow you to go underneath the place. Don’t miss the Marc Chagall painting on the ceiling of the theater.

The Palais Garnier completely exceeded my expectations, it felt like stepping into a fairytale. The architecture, the gold details, the chandeliers, and that grand staircase are absolutely breathtaking. Even though the Opera Hall was closed for rehearsals during my visit, the rest of the palace was so stunning that it didn’t matter at all. Every corner is a piece of art, and it’s one of those places where you just have to stop and admire the beauty around you. Highly recommend taking your time to walk through the Grand Foyer and the main staircase, it’s pure magic ✨

Opera house de Paris. Beautiful place to visit. Very crowded. But worth it. We had purchased just tour entry tickets I recommend to buy inside the audio guide as it was very useful in learning the history of the theater. Now i want to see the actual performance in the theater next visit to Paris
Margarita S — Google review
The Palais Garnier is one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world — its architecture is magnificent, its interior is full of classical details, and Chagall's painted ceiling is truly mesmerising. A self-guided tour of the building is fascinating, providing an insight into the history and luxury of Paris's heyday. However, admission tickets are quite expensive, and queues can be quite long during peak hours. Some areas are also occasionally closed for performance preparations, so it is not always possible to see the entire building.

Housed in a former railway station, the Musée d'Orsay in Paris is renowned for its major 19th- and 20th-century European art collections. The building was originally constructed as a central terminus station on the site of the ruined Palais d'Orsay and was designed by architect Victor Laloux.
I'm using Paris Museum Pass, just join the line via Entrance C. This is one of the coolest art museums in Paris, it’s a must-visit if you’re Van Gogh's fan or simply into art. What makes it really special is that the building itself used to be a huge train station, it was the Gare d’Orsay, built around the early 1900s. Instead of tearing it down, they turned it into a museum, which means you get this amazing mix of old industrial architecture and art all in one place. Inside, the museum is packed with incredible artworks, mostly from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. You’ll find tons of famous Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings here, artists like Monet, Degas, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Cézanne. If you love those bright, colorful paintings or want to get a feel for the art that changed the world, this is the spot. Besides paintings, the museum also has sculptures, decorative arts, and photography. It’s pretty manageable in size, so you don’t get overwhelmed like in some bigger museums. The museum sits right on the left bank of the Seine, close to the Louvre and the charming Saint-Germain area. So, it’s easy to fit it into a day of exploring Paris. It's recommended to visit here. :)

A wonderful collection of art from the time of the invent of the camera forward. The Orsay Museum houses some of the world's most treasured art pieces. From Monet, Gauguin, Manet, Renoior to Van Gogh and so many more. Paintings and sculptures abound in the former train station. A half-day should be the minimum amount of time spent in the great halls of the Orsay. My last visit we elected to use a self-guided audio tour and enjoyed every step. The Dance at the Moulin De La Galette by Renoir is my current favorite. Degas' multi-texture sculpture Petite danseuse de quatorze ans is another favorite. The Orsay is along the Seine near many other stops that I like to make when in the area. Stroll along the river and take in the magazine stands and vendors. Maybe a river tour starting from Pont Neuf. With a little time left in your day the Luxembourg Gardens and the Shakespeare and Co Bookstore are easy additions to your afternoon trek. While I might prefer the Louvre or the Vatican overall as a museum...the Orsay has so many great works of art it should be included on your itinerary. Definitely, something for everyone on this side of the Seine.

I absolutely loved the Musée d’Orsay in every way. I'm still processing the incredible experience— the art, its history, and the vibrant energy that fills the space. The best part was that, even during my 3–4 hour visit, it never felt overwhelming like some other large museums. I'll definitely return every time I visit Paris.

I didn’t get the ticket in advance but it was very easy to get in. There was only a few people in front of me at purchase point and no wait to get in. Quite crowded inside but if you navigate yourself well you can find moments where people passed by and the spots become quiet. Insane collections. Love love love their pieces. Highly recommend coming here for the Paris visit. I would plan at least 2 hours for being in here so you dont rush around. It was wonderful!

Too many tourists - the impressionist section was more like a football ground. The museum controlled the entrance to the cafe better than the crowds in the impressionist section. It was impossible to enjoy the art. Not worth the entrance fee in my view.

A beautiful large museum that used to be a train station. Has multiple levels of art work from modern to post impressionism. The Starry night was one of the main attractions. There is a huge cafe on the top level, and a large outside area to see great views of Paris - can clearly see the Sacre Couer Basilique in the distance. This is a must visit in Paris.

Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre is an iconic white church in Paris, completed in 1914. The construction began in 1877 as a response to the defeat in the Franco-Prussian war. It was funded by the public and consecrated in 1919. The interior is adorned with mosaics and stained-glass windows, making it an impressive sight atop the hill of Montmartre.
This is a beautiful trip you should do when in Paris. You shouldn't miss it, not only for the beauty of the Sacré-Coeur, but the view of the city is astonishing from there. True is that Notre Dame has the appeal, and it's also a beautiful church to know, but the Montmartre funicular is a tiny wonderful trip on its own. The lane to enter the church is not so heavy, and inside it's beautiful as well. I'm not a believer, but these places make you feel something spiritual beyond your beliefs. Then after being in the church, take the stairs downwards and go through the neighborhood, which is in itself very likable, and have an ice cream (Gelato), the way they do it there.

If you're in Paris, this is a must-visit spot. It’s free to visit and offers breathtaking views of Paris from all angles, thanks to its location on the top of the Montmartre hill. Apart from being a place of worship, it's also a symbol of peace and hope. I visited at 1 pm and it was quite crowded with tourists, but I still managed to enjoy the atmosphere peacefully. It's easily accessible by metro, and be prepared for some uphill walking since it's located on a hill. Really enjoyed here.

Montmartre Church is one of the most famous places in Paris. It is located on a small hill, and after climbing a few steps, you can enjoy an amazing view of the city. Most of Paris is visible from this point, although the Eiffel Tower is partly hidden by trees and buildings. The church itself is one of the most beautiful in Paris. I was lucky to visit while prayers were taking place, creating a truly divine and peaceful atmosphere. It also has a rich history, which makes the visit even more meaningful.

Visiting Sacré-Cœur was another must-do on my Paris list. I started walking from Galeries Lafayette around 2:30 PM to get there. It’s a walkable distance if you enjoy walking, and it’s a great way to explore the heart of Paris. Be ready though—the roads are quite steep! You’ll find plenty of cafés along the way, but if you’re traveling from India on a budget, be prepared—coffee here is quite expensive. Paris, and France in general, can be pricey compared to many other European countries. When you reach Sacré-Cœur, you’ll need to climb a long, steep staircase to get to the top. Once there, you can use an old-fashioned binocular to get a beautiful view of Paris. Many people sit on the wide steps to relax or take pictures, as you get a perfect view of the church’s front from there. You can go inside if you want, but most people prefer to stay outside and enjoy the scenery. You’ll often see street performers and artists entertaining the crowd, and a few vendors selling souvenirs nearby. It’s definitely a must-visit spot for anyone coming to Paris!

Access to top closes at 5pm we got there 5 mins late and didnt get in. The ground level inside was cool, but the view of the city was cooler. Other chapels are more impressive. The line was quick 5mins or so. Mass going on inside, the coolest part was that they were singing, and there is a solid silver christ statue. There are trams and trains to get up the climb if you cant walk. Lots of street vendors and people. Beware of pick pockets.

The Sacré-Coeur, the monument that dominates Paris from the top of the Butte-Montmartre, stands out for its stunning architecture and dazzling white stones. It is one of the symbols of Paris and, more specifically, of the picturesque Montmartre neighborhood. And one of the most surprising secrets of the Sacré-Cœur is its dazzling whiteness. Since its inauguration in 1891, the monument has not aged a day and even seems to be getting whiter and whiter in the eyes of Parisians. But why is it so white? While so many Parisian monuments are struggling with the darkening of their facades, the Sacré-Cœur still retains its dazzling whiteness.

Architecturally a fascinating place — pipes, ducts, and all the “backstage” bits boldly worn on the outside like a design statement. It looks a bit like a refinery with a library and an art gallery inside. Not everyone’s taste, but definitely not boring. The view from the top floors is great, and the building itself feels like a piece of modern art before you even walk in. :)

We visited several exhibitions that were held there, some of them were useless, some of them were nice, but i have to say what i enjoyed the most was the view from the highest floor, from which you can see all the major monuments of Paris. The gift shop had some nice things, although it’s a bit expensive. The building is ugly from the outside, but very spacious from the inside.

wanted to visit before it closes for the next five years and was not disappointed. even though it only features one exhibition by wolfgang tillmans (which was great), the building is architecture wise stunning. if you look closely, you’ll see why renovation is needed though and i’m excited to visit in 2030 to see what they have made out of this interesting place!! if you are in paris and are not decided if it is worth visiting, DO IT! even if the exhibition is not quite your interest, the building is interesting enough and if you are from the EU and under the age of 26 the entrance is free!

Sainte-Chapelle is a 13th-century Gothic chapel in France, known for its ornate design and notable stained-glass windows depicting biblical scenes. Commissioned by King Louis IX to house his collection of Passion Relics, including the Crown of Thorns, it remains a place of spiritual and aesthetic charm. The chapel's Gothic architecture and over 600 square meters of stained glass create a sacred atmosphere that draws visitors from around the world.
This church is truly a hidden gem that leaves visitors amazed. The chapel’s stunning stained glass windows are its main attraction, showcasing vibrant colors and intricate medieval designs that create a magical atmosphere inside. Even though it’s a relatively small space, the history and artistry packed into it make it a must-visit for anyone interested in architecture or Parisian history. I'm using Paris Museum Pass, it allows me to skip the long ticket lines, however, even if you book in advance, you have to wait in the specific line assigned to your booked time, you can’t enter directly. Also, early access is not possible, they follow your reservation time strictly. Remember to make a reservation online in advance. This helps secure entry at a preferred time and avoids the stress of waiting in crowds, which can get quite busy, especially during peak tourist seasons. The chapel is located on Île de la Cité, near other famous landmarks like Notre-Dame, making it easy to include in a day of sightseeing. The visit doesn’t take long, usually under an hour, but it leaves a lasting impression thanks to the breathtaking stained glass that tells stories from centuries ago. Overall, Sainte-Chapelle is a fantastic stop for travelers. I enjoyed a smooth and memorable experience exploring one of the city’s most beautiful and historic sites.

It’s very beautiful but it’s a small place with 2 floors. The old construction is maintained very well. As a non Christian I do not know the meaning and value behind a lot of glass paintings there hence I took the audio guide. It has 8 or may be 12 recordings but they explain a lot of the history and symbolism very nicely. I thought it was a little expensive for the size compared to other places in Paris. I booked in advance and went there on Wednesday. They have lesser fee on Wednesdays.

Beautiful cathedral with informational pamphlets & videos to learn about the history and restorations. Currently has some restoration work going on now, so there’s some scaffolding outside and a clever placement of a large mirror inside the main hall with the stained glass (making the construction less obvious in pictures). Staff & security were very nice and helpful with accessibility accommodations! Recommend going early morning before it starts getting too busy, as the space is somewhat small.

I just got back from visiting the Sainte-Chapelle, and I'm still trying to process how breathtaking it was. Honestly, pictures and videos don't do this place justice—it's an experience you have to see for yourself. The first part is the Lower Chapel, which is beautiful with its vaulted ceilings and deep blues, but it's really the Upper Chapel that steals the show. As soon as you walk up the narrow stairs, you are enveloped by light. The walls are almost completely replaced by 15 enormous stained-glass windows towering 50 feet high. It feels less like a building and more like walking inside a giant jewel box. If the sun is shining, the whole room turns into a kaleidoscope of color—you can see centuries of biblical stories painted in vibrant light. It’s an incredibly moving and serene spot, and easily the single most stunning architectural sight I’ve ever seen in Paris. Do yourself a favor and make sure you go on a bright, sunny day if possible!

• A Gothic masterpiece: Built between 1242 and 1248 by King Louis IX (Saint Louis) to house precious Christian relics — including the Crown of Thorns — Sainte-Chapelle is one of the finest examples of Rayonnant Gothic architecture. • Unforgettable stained glass: The upper chapel features 15 towering stained-glass windows, each over 15 meters tall, illustrating more than 1,100 biblical scenes. When sunlight filters through, the entire space glows in a kaleidoscope of reds, blues, and purples — an experience visitors often describe as “spiritual” or “otherworldly.” • Compact yet awe-inspiring: Unlike sprawling cathedrals, Sainte-Chapelle is intimate. You don’t just see it — you feel it envelop you in color and light. • Central location: Located on the Île de la Cité, next to the Palais de Justice and a few steps from Notre-Dame, it’s easy to combine with other major Paris attractions. • Historical significance: As the private royal chapel of the French kings, it represents both religious devotion and the peak of medieval artistry. ⸻ ⚠️ Things to keep in mind • Crowds and queues: Sainte-Chapelle is small and extremely popular — lines form early, and the chapel can feel packed, especially mid-day. • Security checks: Entry is through the Palais de Justice complex, so airport-style security applies. Arrive early to avoid delays. • Limited visit time: The experience, while stunning, is short — most visitors spend about 30–45 minutes inside. • Lighting conditions vary: The stained glass looks best on sunny days (late morning to mid-afternoon). On cloudy days, colors appear softer and less vivid but still atmospheric. • Lower chapel first: The entrance leads you through the modest lower chapel before you ascend to the breathtaking upper chapel — don’t rush; the contrast enhances the reveal.

A Breathtaking Masterpiece of Light and Color! Sainte-Chapelle is one of the most stunning sites in Paris — truly a hidden jewel of Gothic architecture. The moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by a dazzling display of stained glass that fills the chapel with radiant light and color. Each panel tells a story from the Bible, creating a sense of awe and serenity unlike anywhere else. The upper chapel is especially mesmerizing, with its towering windows and intricate details that make you feel as if you’re standing inside a jewel box. Don’t let the long line discourage you — it’s absolutely worth the wait. Even after visiting the grand cathedrals of Europe, Sainte-Chapelle stands out as one of the most unforgettable experiences. A must-see in Paris — peaceful, spiritual, and breathtakingly beautiful!

I would say it is the most beautiful church I have seen. Starting with a small and less light at the below church which is in vivid blue color, walkinh through a little staircase to go up. Then suddenly we are in a brilliant space, over scale of human height ceiling, and the most magnific is all the mosaic glass which tells the stories of the bibel. Small notes: - You still need to be in the queue even booking the ticket before, 30-45mins. - Sercurity check as air port - the shop gift inside will make you spend money a lot :))) as they have many nice stuffs - Enjoy all the small craving details also

Remarkable array of stained glass windows and a fascinating history. Breathtaking. This chapel is different because it’s no longer a church; it’s operated by the ministry of monuments. The employees couldn’t have been more accommodating. My friend uses a walker and they came up to us and offered to take us upstairs via an elevator. Incredibly kind, courteous staff. I’ve been to Paris multiple times but never visited here before. We went to Notre Dame a couple days ago and it felt stark and commercialized. Sainte-Chapelle offered a more spiritual experience in my opinion!

The Conciergerie, a Gothic fortress located by the riverside, served as a prison during the French Revolution and housed Marie Antoinette's former cell. Despite its medieval appearance, much of its facade was added in the 1850s.
If you love history and is fascinated by Marie Antoinette’s journey then definitely go here. They have various books about Marie Antoinette and the French Revolution in different languages and good souvenir items as well. The pad they give you before you start your tour was helpful.

What an amazing place. Highly recommend going before going to Versailles. Great interactive handheld devices allow you to see what it would have looked like.

Bought the combo ticket with Saint-Chapelle. The history of laws and how things were handled long ago is super interesting, along with the jail cells. Between the 2 sites we maybe spent 45/60 minutes.
Trouvaille B — Google review
Incredible experience. I’ll never see Paris the same way as before. The interactive tour is simply mesmerizing. It’s as if we went through the French Revolution again, walking the same roads leads to Concorde where they used to chop off the heads… highly recommended for a vivid understanding of the French revolution in Paris.

A must come place if you are curious/ love the history of French, especially French Revolution, and Queen Maria Antoinette. They give every visitor a pad that you can scan and discovery the space how it was through the times with explaination. Very interesting. Suggest to buy to combo ticket of this and the Saint-Chapell so you can save the time of the queue.

The jail where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution and Kongs Palace from 14th century. Amazing history to be seen with a tablet guide, that shows images from the time... it's actually larger than ot seems. There is a toilet inside unlike most of tourist attractions. This place is a must!!

The experience was well organized especially the 3D visuals that can show you how the chambers and other places looked like back in the days!

A national monument in Paris, it’s an impressive looking building that had served as a palace, courthouse as well as a prison and now takes on the role of a museum. We did not visit the museum inside as we did not buy the tickets in advance and we did not have enough time for it.

Pont Alexandre III is a late 19th-century arched bridge in Paris, known for its ornate Beaux Arts style. It is considered the most beautiful bridge in the city and offers a great spot to watch the sunset. Classified as a National Historic monument, it features intricate details such as gilt-gold statues of Fames, art nouveau lamps, and golden foliate designs.
Beautiful bridge with nice views, where you can take great photos. The bridge has some statues very well constructed, from baroque style. I recommend you to visit this bridge if you are at Paris.
Juan S — Google review
Walking across the Pont Alexandre III is an experience that feels less like crossing a river and more like strolling through a piece of art. This is, without a doubt, the most beautiful bridge in Paris. The sheer opulence is staggering—from the detailed bronze sculptures of nymphs and cherubs to the magnificent, gold-gilded statues atop the four massive pillars. Every detail is a photo opportunity. It connects the Grand Palais and Petit Palais on one side to Les Invalides on the other, meaning the views in both directions are spectacular. It offers an unmissable vista of the Eiffel Tower, making it a perfect spot for sunset. It’s less of a utilitarian crossing and more of an essential Parisian landmark to savor slowly.
Kyle J — Google review
One of those Parisian icons you just can’t miss. Paris in a crazy sense is a frustrating city because every time you turn your head, you see something more beautiful than next thing. But then all of that is dominated by the Eiffel Tower. But this bridge is a close rival. Every time we cross it, we see something new.
David S — Google review
One of the most beautiful bridges in Paris — richly decorated with golden statues, ornate lamps, and breathtaking views of the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, and Les Invalides. Both by day and at night, it’s a magical place for a stroll and perfect for photos. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — A must-see Paris landmark full of charm and elegance.
Irene G — Google review
The Pont Alexandre III is one of the most beautiful and elegant bridges in Paris. Its stunning architecture, golden statues, and detailed lamps make it a true masterpiece—especially magical at sunset or when lit up at night. It also offers amazing views of the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, and Les Invalides. A must-see spot for a stroll or photos during your visit to Paris.
Mr. F — Google review
• Architectural masterpiece: Built between 1896 – 1900 for the Exposition Universelle, Pont Alexandre III connects the Champs-Élysées quarter (via the Grand Palais and Petit Palais) to the Invalides and Eiffel Tower side of the Seine. Its single-span steel arch ensures an unobstructed river view — an engineering feat for its time. • Lavish decoration: The bridge is famous for its gold-gilded sculptures, Art Nouveau lamps, and winged horses symbolizing “Art, Science, Commerce, and Industry.” Each of its four monumental pylons is topped with a 17-meter-high gilded statue. • Historical symbolism: It was named after Tsar Alexander III to celebrate the Franco-Russian alliance. The Russian coat of arms can still be seen among the details. • Perfect photography location: Whether you’re capturing the Eiffel Tower, Invalides Dome, or Grand Palais, this bridge gives some of the best panoramic views in Paris — especially at sunrise or sunset when light hits the golden sculptures. • Seen in films & fashion: Pont Alexandre III appears in countless movies, ads, and photo shoots — from Midnight in Paris to Emily in Paris — making it an instantly recognizable Parisian landmark.
Amrit D — Google review
The magic of this bridge. I walked by myself along the river Seine, near the bridge then to the Eiffel Tower in the rain. I loved every moment of it.
Lisa H — Google review
Lovely atmosphere and surprisingly coming from london the river isn't nearly as wide as the Thames. What this means is the bridge is smaller but better for viewing and appreciating it's architecture and design. Coming to the Beaux-Arts style, it is really something to appreciate and is a masterpiece. We went near sunset and witnessed the dusk coming in and the lights for the bridge slowly turned on and beautifully got brighter and brighter. Plus you get an amazing view of the Eiffel tower that just happened to have their glittering lights on. Anyone visiting Paris should visit and try to go around sunset and stay a little later for an eye feast.

Fondation Louis Vuitton is a modern and contemporary art museum located in a unique building with an auditorium and roof terraces. The museum, commissioned by Bernard Arnault, showcases his private collection including works by renowned artists such as Pierre Huyghe, Gerhard Richter, Thomas Schutte, Ellsworth Kelly, and others. It also hosts temporary exhibitions featuring diverse art forms like sculptures, installations, paintings, and more.
LOVED it! The David Hockney exhibition was great! The cafe was tasty. The building is beautiful and I really enjoyed the outdoor rooftop patio areas. I would return for another exhibition. Line moves fast, 10-15 min wait. I would buy tickets in advance next time for timed entry.
Heather P — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) The Louis Vuitton Foundation by Frank Gehry is nothing short of architectural alchemy — a spellbinding fusion of art, light, and movement. Gehry, the wizard of warped wonders, conjures a structure that feels alive — a floating dream of glass sails, steel curves, and impossible geometry that somehow makes perfect sense in its chaos. From every angle, the building transforms — shimmering, bending, and unfolding like a sculpture caught mid-breath. The interplay of reflections, transparency, and shadows creates a symphony of light that changes with the time of day, making every visit a new experience. Inside, the fluid galleries feel like extensions of the landscape, seamlessly blending architecture with art, sky, and water. It’s not just a museum — it’s a cathedral of imagination, a place where Gehry’s genius reshapes reality itself. The Louis Vuitton Foundation stands as a powerful testament to his daring vision — an awe-inspiring monument to creativity, movement, and the magic of the impossible.
Rodney L — Google review
Highly recommended for architecture enthusiasts—this is one of Frank Gehry’s most iconic works. The building itself is a masterpiece, blending bold design with natural light and sweeping curves. Booking tickets online is a smart move to avoid long queues

The building is so pretty and modern! They also have a dedicated bus to take visitors there making easy to go, entrance was fast, there is plenty to see. If I may suggest some things to improve is to expose a bigger variety of artists, and keep the cafe open until the place closes.

Interesting place to visit. We came here by accident when walking about Paris and was pleasantly surprised we arrived when tickets were discounted due to there being no exhibitions on which in all honesty I preferred so we paid 5 euro entry. Didn't take long to walk around and check out the building and it's internal water feature, and a walk to the top with some not to great views of Paris city unfortunately the architecture hides any decent view of Paris full stop. Used the loo there, one or two things to do inside Inc VR experience but that's about it. I enjoyed the visit, not into big fashion really but still an interesting experience. The ticket guys were nice and friendly explaining everything before we purchased tickets ensuring we were ready expectations wise as there were no events on at the time of my visit.

The building looks like the construction project was stopped before completion, but it is wonderful inside, and a great place to exhibit art. Overall architecture quite debatable, frankly. The Hockney exhibit is excellent though frightfully crowded. Very well organised though. And affordable.

Beautiful place… David Hockney exhibition was the best… I’ve seen other Hockney exhibitions, but this one was the most extensive. Place de la Concorde, the largest public square in Paris, is a historic site with a dark past as the location of guillotine executions during the French Revolution. This majestic square features fountains, statues, and an ancient Egyptian obelisk known as the Luxor Obelisk. It serves as a connecting point between the Tuileries Gardens and the Champs-Elysees.
Nice and beautiful square where you can look to some of the most famous buildings from Paris. The place is clean and well preserved. I truly recommend you to visit this area if you’re near Paris downtown.
Juan S — Google review
Nestled between the Champs-Élysées and the Tuileries Gardens, Place de la Concorde stands as one of Paris’s most iconic squares—majestic in scale, yet curiously subdued in spirit. With its stately fountains, towering obelisk, and elegant symmetry, it certainly checks all the boxes of a European capital’s central square. And yet, there’s a certain stillness to it. The wide expanse of cobblestone and concrete, while impressive, feels more like a ceremonial space than a lived-in one—a place designed to be passed through, rather than lingered in. It’s beautiful, yes, but in a distant, formal sort of way. Perhaps every great European city has a square like this: grand, historic, a little austere. Place de la Concorde is Paris’s—timeless, dignified, and just a little bit dead.
Kerry B — Google review
Last night, I had the chance to visit Place de la Concorde in Paris wi htt ee and it truly felt magical after dark. The square is steeped in history, marked by the majestic Luxor Obelisk at its center and surrounded by stunning fountains that shine beautifully under the city lights. The panoramic views across Paris, stretching toward the Eiffel Tower and up the Champs-Élysées, are breathtaking and make for incredible photos. The atmosphere at night is both lively and serene, offering a peaceful break from the city’s bustle. Walking past the illuminated architecture and monuments, I was struck by the grandeur and elegance of the space. Despite some traffic around the area, the experience remains undisturbed, with enough room to stroll and take in the historic beauty.Place de la Concorde is a must-see, especially after sunset. Whether you want to admire Paris’s iconic landmarks, enjoy the dazzling lights, or simply soak in the ambiance with friends, it offers an unforgettable experience—timeless, elegant, and full of Parisian spirit

Place de la Concorde is one of the most beautiful and historic spots in Paris. The view is breathtaking — especially at sunset when you can see the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Élysées, and the Tuileries Gardens all from one place. The architecture and the atmosphere make you feel the grandeur of Paris. It can get crowded, but it’s absolutely worth the visit.

The Place de la Concorde is one of the most iconic squares in Paris, rich in history and elegance. The Egyptian obelisk, the beautiful fountains, and the surrounding architecture make it a must-visit spot. It’s also a place where you can truly feel the atmosphere of Paris, with views stretching towards the Champs-Élysées and even the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Both during the day and at night, the square has its own charm. 📍 A perfect stop for history lovers, photographers, and anyone exploring central Paris.
Saeed Y — Google review
When you first arrive, the scale of the square hits you. It’s the largest square in Paris, and you immediately feel that openness compared to the narrow cobblestone streets that surround much of the city. Standing there, you get a sense of being in the middle of something grand, with wide views stretching out in every direction. • To the west, your eyes follow the iconic Champs-Élysées, leading your gaze straight toward the Arc de Triomphe. • To the east, the pathway points toward the Tuileries Garden and the Louvre, which are only a short walk away. • To the north, you see the elegant façades of the Hôtel de Crillon and the French Naval Ministry. • To the south, the River Seine glimmers, with the Eiffel Tower peeking out in the distance if you angle your view just right. It’s like standing at a crossroads of Paris — everything seems connected from this central point.

The Grand Palais is a stunning Art Nouveau hall in Paris, built in 1900 and featuring a magnificent domed glass roof. Originally constructed for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, it was later repurposed as a military hospital during World War I. Today, it serves its intended purpose as a venue for exhibitions and cultural events.
A huge and spectacular building, recently restored and beautifully enhanced. The spaces are bright, spacious, and welcoming — perfect for a relaxed visit. The exhibition is truly enjoyable, featuring original and playful works that can capture the attention even of those who aren’t art experts. An interesting and well-organized experience — highly recommended!
Mad D — Google review
I have to be honest: my visit to the Grand Palais felt like a mixed bag, leaning more toward disappointment than delight. The standout highlight was without question the live drumming performance—absolutely fantastic, vibrant, and full of energy. That, along with the impressive central artwork, gave a glimpse of the grandeur the place could offer. But beyond that, everything else felt lackluster, as if the substance didn’t quite live up to the name. It’s ironic, really—called “Grand” Palais, but in truth is, Petit Palais offers so much more. Petit Palais is richer, more expansive, and bursting with art and history, while the Grand Palais felt strangely hollow in comparison. There wasn’t even much of a contest between the two. Honestly, I ended up here mostly by accident—either because it was right in front of me at the subway exit or because I got a little lost. Would I put it high on a must-see list? Not really. Still, I can say I enjoyed the brief visit for what it was: a chance to stumble into something unexpected. Sometimes travel is about these random encounters, even if they don’t leave a lasting impression.
Kerry B — Google review
This is one of those buildings that you have to visit even if you only have a little bit of time in Paris. I was here at the Art Basel so I could only see the inside with the stands, but it was pretty exciting that way as well. If you are near the Grand Palais you should check the Alexander III bridge out as well. Fun Fact: The fencing event of the 2024 Olympics washes held here.
VM H — Google review
What a truly stunning building the Grand Palais is and recently restored too! The roof is a masterpiece in its own right, then the statutes / ornate details outside add even more beauty. In the evening when the glass is lit up then it’s even more wonderful. We didn’t go inside due to time constraints but will definitely be heading on our next visit to Paris.
Jamie H — Google review
On our recent trip to Paris, we went to the Euphoria Balloon Exhibition (closed on Sept. 7, 2025). It was phenomenal and if they ever do another one, I would highly recommend going. It’s great for both kids and adults. Also, the price was very reasonable at €16 per adult. Watch the videos to get a sense of scale and interactivity. We went on a Tuesday right when it opened and it wasn’t too crowded so, you could really enjoy the space and take your time interacting with each installation. The Grand Palais is a beautiful building and represents some of the best in Parisian architecture. I’ll definitely go back for other exhibits.
M G — Google review
The architecture is impressive, unfortunately I don’t have a good experience visiting this place. First, I looked out which exhibition was in the nave but their website wasn’t clear. If you take the tour for the monument you don’t go inside the nave, the space where the Olympic Games took place, and if you try to book and exhibition at the nave the website isn’t clear either. I went to see the Nikki de Saint Phalle exposition and honestly not worth it for what we’ve paid. Her work is extremely contemporary and kind of nonsense.
Gicela C — Google review
This is a building that is an unpretentious work of art and engineering. It is such a breathtaking building that it made Art Basel's exhibits feel so tiny.

An absolutely unforgettable night at the Grand Palais! Boris Brejcha delivered a mind-blowing set full of energy, precision, and that signature high-tech minimal sound that keeps the crowd hypnotized from start to finish. The atmosphere inside the historic Grand Palais was electric — stunning visuals, flawless production, and a crowd completely immersed in the music. It was more than just a party; it felt like a unique fusion of art, architecture, and sound. A truly world-class experience!

The Luxembourg Palace, located in the sixth arrondissement of Paris, is a historic building with a mix of French and Italian architecture. Originally built as the royal residence for Queen Marie de Medici in the 17th century, it later served as a prison during the French Revolution before becoming the meeting place for the French Senate. The palace is accompanied by magnificent Italian-style gardens that were laid out by engineers and gardeners from Florence.
A great spot to relax after some shopping in St-Germaine. Plenty of places to sit around the gardens, places for the kids to play, and a few options to purchase food and drink. It is full of interesting attractions. The palace and gardens were commissioned by Maria De Medici after her husband King Henry IV was assassinated. There’s around 100 statues of famous figure and mythical heroes dotted throughout. It became a place that drew great minds who used the space as a reprieve from busy Paris and famously included Hemingway.

The Moulin Rouge, a renowned 19th-century cabaret in Paris, is an iconic landmark with a rich history of captivating performances. Since its establishment in 1889, it has attracted both locals and tourists with its elaborate Belle Epoque decor and dazzling can-can dance shows. The venue has hosted numerous showbiz stars and continues to be a popular nightlife destination for Parisians.
The Moulin Rouge is an iconic Parisian cabaret situated in the Montmartre district. I purchased tickets about a month in advance and was only able to secure seats for the 11:30 p.m. performance on my preferred date. I contacted the venue via email to inquire about a waiting list for the earlier show and received a prompt reply within an hour, advising that guests could check on the day of the performance for any available cancellations. We arrived roughly an hour before the show and enjoyed a drink at the bar next door. Entry into the theatre was smooth and well organized. Although the line was long, it moved quickly and efficiently. The show itself was world-class and far exceeded my expectations. While the tickets are expensive, the price is clearly reflected in the exceptional level of service, the elaborate costumes, and the overall quality of the production. The frequent costume changes and the precision of the dancers were particularly impressive. It was a truly memorable evening, and I would absolutely do it again. In the end, visiting the Moulin Rouge felt like experiencing a piece of Parisian history brought to life in the most dazzling way. It’s an evening that captures the city’s spirit of art, glamour, and celebration — an unforgettable highlight of any trip to Paris.

The Catacombs of Paris, also known as Oussaire Municipal, are a fascinating and mysterious underground labyrinth that holds the remains of around 6 million people. Originally limestone quarries, these tunnels were transformed into a haunting display of skulls and bones arranged in decorative patterns in the Romantic Gothic style.
One of those fascination all human has with dead thing and to see it in such a volume is fascinating! I visited the Catacombs of Paris in my first time to Paris in 2018 and this place was the most standout from that time so when I had a chance to come back to Paris again this was the only place I wanted to revisit. (And the cheese fondue restaurant) I think they might have lower a cap number of people in each time slot now since when I tried to book tickets most of the time slots are all sold out and only a couple left for the 2 days I was in Paris. It was also very quiet and not many people down there. It was super nice to be able to take your time to walked around and look at things slowly! I really enjoyed that 💀 I didn't see the skull coin souvenir last time so I was so glad to get some magnet and coin this time! 🪙☠️ The staff was very friendly and professional! Great gift shop at the finish of the tunnel! Somehow I blocked out information about the 300 spirel stairs to go down into the tunnel and come back up from last time, got a bit dizzy 🥴 going down too fast 😂 Definitely a recommendation of thing to do in Paris.

Excellent place to visit, on the day of visting, I noticed at 11am all the tickets for the day were sold out for the Friday, so it's worth getting a ticket in advance. It's organised well from the way the scheduled times are filtered to the quick security checks. The audio machines are high quality and easy to use, they are available in different languages. Security is tight and there are frequent visits by security within the catacombs as the greatest damage is actually done by people touching the bones. There were over 6 million people's bones here and here there was no hierarchy so poor people could have been next to the rich. It is sad that this catacomb was discovered as houses caved in due to the underground void leading to the discovery. The tickets can be booked directly from the place and in this instance there is no need for a guide as the guide cannot jump the queue and its a one way system, full price with an audio guide is 31 euros, 25 euros for reduced price, and 12 for people aged 5 to 17 years, it is expensive in comparison to other sites like the Eiffel Tower or the Lourve. Note the catacombs will shut from 03 Nov 2025 to spring 2026. Tickets can be booked 7 days in advance. The visitor entrance is located at the following address: 1, Avenue du Colonel Henri Rol-Tanguy (place Denfert-Rochereau) 75014 Paris. There is a limit on the size of bag that can be taken (40×30cm), no strollers tripods etc are allowed. Flash photography is allowed so long as it doesn't cause issues to other guests. The place is limited to 200 per day and it is not encouraged to visit if you have mobility issues, there are 131 steps going down and 112 to ascend, some places are slippery so care must be taken, the walk is 1.5km and can take an hour to negotiate.

The catacombs of Paris are great for history buffs, people who love architecture, people who love morbid or creepy stuff, people who are are spiritual or religious, and anyone interested in learning about the truth behind Paris history. Definitely worth the trip to see, it’s amazing to see how such a dense city grapples with the limited space and demands of a large population. Absolutely reminds you of how human you are. Definitely worth booking a private tour. Audioguides are only €6 and you can reserve on site, but I booked a tour guide. Awesome trip. Loved seeing the altar and Christian artworks and crosses. May all of the souls in the Catacombs rest in peace.

This is a very unique attraction in Paris. It’s really cool to experience such a place, however the visit is too short and I wish you got to visit more of the catacombs. Of the 300km of tunnels you only get to see 1km of it. Online reservations are recommend. It was cool and I recommend.
Tadeusz G — Google review
Very cool experience. Not for the claustrophobic and also you have to descend then climb 136 stairs down and then back up. Very cool historical place. The audio tour was very informative. Worth a visit. Buy your tickets in advance online.
Karl — Google review
The Paris Catacombs are definitely a unique and unforgettable experience. It’s a bit tricky to get tickets, you really need to book online in advance to make sure you can get in. Once inside, they let a lot of people through at the same time, so the narrow tunnels can feel pretty crowded. That being said, the visit itself was both horrifying and fascinating. Walking through tunnels lined with human remains is chilling, but at the same time it’s an incredible way to connect with history and learn about a part of Paris that’s unlike anything else.
Alex G — Google review
Hands down my favorite place I visited in Paris. There’s something haunting yet fascinating about the Catacombs of Paris. They limit how many people can enter at once, most tickets were sold out but that made it quieter and more enjoyable. I could take my time exploring the tunnels and really take it all in. Buy your ticket in advance in there page. The staff were friendly, and the gift shop at the end was great. I finally got a skull coin and magnet! Just be ready for the 300 spiral stairs; they’re no joke. A must-see in Paris, creepy, beautiful, and unforgettable. 💀
Paul S — Google review
A brilliant walk below Paris learning about the mining of the limestone to build Paris, the collapse of the mines, the shoring up and then the placement of the bones from the various cemeteries in Paris when it was decided it was unhealthy for them to be within the city. The audio guide was good. The walk through the catacombs is 1.5 km and there are 131 steps to descend and 112 to ascend. They are inaccessible for those who cannot do the steps.

Cimetière du Père-Lachaise is a sprawling cemetery in Paris, known for its tree-lined paths and the final resting places of numerous famous individuals such as Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, and Maria Callas. If you have more than three days in Paris, consider adding a visit to this historic site to your itinerary. The cemetery boasts 69,000 decorated tombs and is a popular destination for those interested in paying homage to renowned figures from various fields.
This was my first time exploring a graveyard, and I was totally intrigued by Père Lachaise in Paris. It’s full of history and truly one of the most remarkable cemeteries I’ve ever seen. Many celebrities and historical figures are buried here, and the atmosphere is surprisingly peaceful and serene. What struck me most was how clean and well-kept the whole place is. It’s quiet—of course!—but in a really calming, respectful way. It’s funny to think you’re surrounded by the dead, yet it doesn’t feel creepy at all. It’s more reflective and beautiful than anything. I was also fascinated reading the headstones—some have birth dates but no death dates yet, which makes you pause and think. The architecture and tomb designs are absolutely stunning. You can spend hours just walking around and appreciating the history and artistry. Totally a worthwhile experience if you’re in Paris. Highly recommend!
Jan C — Google review
This cemetery was so great, I ended up going twice. Some of the headstones are so amazing, you have to just walk around and see where you end up. If I could have spent a day here, I would have. I do understand that headstones are close together and probably difficult to maintain, but in some areas, the weeds are so tall and areas are overgrown :(

The counterpoint to the glittering Parisian boulevards. Definitely worth a visit at any time of year, but especially outside the summer months. The gloomier the weather, the more beautiful it becomes. Creates a sense of closeness to people you have never known. Every grave tells its own story of transience, sorrow, but also creativity and inspiration. Take your time, you can easily spend a couple of hours here. It's best to give the Morrison tomb a wide berth, as any sense of reflection tends to be drowned out there.
Martin K — Google review
A good site to visit in Paris. There are many interred here who have influenced and inspired you — even if you don’t know it yet. During peak tourist season there are a number of friendly attendants to provide maps and directions. Toilets are in the south. Some accessibility concerns: many ways are cobbled and some steep, although there is a slope going around the whole cemetery.

Of my 5 visits to Paris, I’ve been here 3 times. This most current visit was the quickest as it started to rain as soon as we entered. Our biggest mistake was not taking a photo of the map as soon as we entered. We ended up bumping into a couple of Americans with a map so we ended up getting a snap of theirs. We didn’t really have a solid plan. All I knew was that I wanted to see Jimmy and that’s it. We ended up on quite the adventure finding Jimmy. It seemed like we walked in circles. The great thing about this cemetery is that there are so many famous people interred here. And many notable families. With that said, you’ll see some elaborate tombstones. You do see a few employees walking the grounds. They all walk around during closing time, ringing their bells to let you know they’re about to close so you better skidaddle or you’ll be locked in. I’m going to do a walking tour the next time I’m in town so I can cover more ground. I’m always so overwhelmed when I’m there It is however super sad to see the graves that are clearly unattended, sometimes looking like they’ve been abandoned.
Julie D — Google review
One of the famous Parisian cemeteries, we arrived there at the end of the day and therefore there were no crowds. At the entrance, there is a map with a list of famous people’s graves, most of which can also be found on Google Maps. All the pleasant impressions were spoiled by an unfriendly female guard who didn’t let me use the restroom 15 minutes before closing.
Kate S — Google review
This iconic Paris cemetary is a place of incredible historical importance. It covers over 44 hectares and there are nearly 70,000 graves here. Millions of people visit here annually. On the day we visited, there were hundreds of people there, mostly from Germany, visiting one particular grave....that of American musician Jim Morrison. A security guard is permanently posted to guard his grave, such is it's popularity. Others interred here include Oscar Wilde, Frédéric Chopin, Marcel Proust and Edith Piaf.....to name a few. I highly recommend visiting this historically rich cemetary.

Montparnasse Tower, a modern 210m skyscraper in Paris, offers panoramic views from its roof terrace and 56th-floor observation deck. While it's often criticized for disrupting the city's skyline, the view from the top is truly breathtaking. Located in the 14th arrondissement, near Montparnasse SNCF, this sole skyscraper in Paris provides a full 360-degree view of the French capital.
Great views without the crowds" The Montparnasse Tower gives you a clear 360° view of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower itself. The rooftop terrace is spacious, the elevator is fast, and it’s much less crowded than other viewpoints. A great spot for photos and a peaceful skyline experience.
Strsljen47 — Google review
Absolutely stunning view above all Paris! I recommend your visit during sunset when the city turns golden with the sunlight. Go at 56th floor with a very fast lift, than couple of floors through some stairs to reach the terrace. High recommend!
Francesco — Google review
The terrace views of the city are worth the visit. I went on a Tuesday around 6pm and I had the entire place pretty much all to myself which was impressive. I was able to take on the gorgeous panorama of Paris, including unobstructed views of the Eiffel Tower and many other landmarks, without the busy tourist crowds. It cost 26€ to go up and I was able to purchase the ticket upon arrival. Wear a good jacket because it can get windy up there.
Alan Y — Google review
Bought tickets for day and night viewing. We wanted to see the view of the city to include the Eiffel Tower, so that is why we did this instead of the Eiffel. Easy to get to the top floors- there is an indoor viewing area that gives you a 360 view of the city. The top floor is uncovered so be prepared depending on the weather/wind. There is plenty glass all around the top floor but there are small cutouts so that you can take pictures without finger prints, etc. showing on your pictures. There is some seating on the top floor, but not much. Annoyed by the folks with tripods that set up for 30 min plus to take pictures in the areas with the cutouts (there aren't many!) Take your pictures and allow others to enjoy the view too!
Trouvaille B — Google review
Definitely worth the money if you want a good panoramic view of Paris it’s definitely an older skyscraper so it does look very outdated. All the workers were very nice and informative. The elevators worked very fast. There’s a souvenir store and a café. There’s bathrooms. it’s accessible. Many great views of Paris.
Jam S — Google review
Booked in advance the time slot I wanted during the sunset to get some day and night view on one visit. The tower is quite away for a photo, but there is a photo booth taking 3 pictures in different settings, you get 1-3 photos printed and sent to your email, also the animation (10€ for 3 photos. Nice option to get a photo with ❤️Paris on a rooftop.
Juliana R — Google review
Must have experience whenever in Paris. Book your tickets online and you need to be on time as they are not flexible. The tour will take up to one hour from the inside sights to terrace to the outdoor rooftop. You can take photos with photo booth there 1 for 5€ , 2 for 8€ and 3 for 10€ and they are worth it.
Zeinab J — Google review
It lives up to its name as the eyesore of Paris - but terrific views (even though it was a bit foggy on the morning we went). It's a little out of the way from the main attraction of Paris, and the building itself is pretty dated and rundown (inside and out). It looked as if it hasn't been updated since construction (or at least since the 90s), but I'm kind of into that sort of thing, so it doesn't lose too many points from me. A great attraction - but don't plan your day around it (unless you have similar taste as I do).

Pont Neuf, the oldest and most famous bridge in Paris, is an arched stone bridge with two spans and a bronze statue of King Henri IV. It was commissioned by the king in the 16th century and opened in 1607 as the first bridge without houses built on it. The bridge connects main roads on the Right Bank and Left Bank, providing access to Ile de la Cite and Place Dauphine.
100000/10 The most romantic and quintessentially Parisian spot in the city. A must-visit at sunset—the view is unforgettable. At night, explore the dark mysterious tour. You can book online such tours. Enjoy the stunning view of the Eiffel Tower, and don’t miss the iconic green bookstalls along the riverbanks—perfect for finding vintage Parisian posters and books.

Pont Neuf - Romantic ❤️ Bridge the oldest bridge in Paris, holds a special charm that goes beyond history. I visited this place with my wife to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and walking here together created a memory I’ll never forget. The atmosphere along the Seine was simply magical—the flowing river, the gentle lights reflecting on the water, and the countless love locks attached to the bridge made me reflect on our own journey together. Looking at those locks, I realized how many experiences we’ve shared over the past 25 years. If you're visiting Paris with your partner, I highly recommend walking across Pont Neuf. It’s the perfect place to pause, reminisce, and reconnect with beautiful memories from the past.

Stunning views from every single angle. The architecture and the waters meet the blue skies and you literally hold your breath to take in each inch of beauty! Absolute miraculous majesty of nature and man’s artistry. History on all sides to view and learn with street vendors selling cold waters and gelato. Wear comfortable shoes or sandals because you are going to want to walk to take in all of the history, people and beauty!

A very lovely walk on the Pont Neuf, with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. The location is perfect: just steps away from La Samaritaine, the Pont Neuf metro station, Châtelet station, and close to Rue de Rivoli with all its shops and restaurants. The Louvre Museum and the Tuileries Garden are also only about a 10-minute walk away.

The Pont Neuf has great features: elegant arches, Henri IV on horseback, wide sidewalks and circular bastions protruding over the river. The best are the masks carved in stone on the side of the bridge. They are hidden from view up top, you've got to go below the bridge deck to see them.

The Pont des Arts, also known as the love lock bridge, is a picturesque bridge over the Seine River in Paris. It connects the Louvre Museum and the Institut de France. The tradition of adding locks with couples' names and throwing away the key to symbolize an unbreakable bond became popular on this bridge, but due to damage caused by their weight, the locks were removed in 2015 and replaced with glass panels.
🔐 Love Locks 🔒 ❤️ 💕 Pont des Arts is one of the most romantic spots in Paris, known for its countless love locks. Compared to Pont Neuf, there were definitely more locks here, creating a unique atmosphere full of memories from couples around the world. My wife and I didn’t attach a physical lock, but we left our "lock of the heart" here—a promise that our love will last forever. It was a quiet but meaningful moment for both of us. If you’re visiting with someone special, I highly recommend walking across this bridge. The view over the Seine and the feeling of leaving a part of your love behind make it a truly memorable place.!

What a magical place. So I have been multiple years and multiple times to this exact place. I would recommend going in the early morning if you’re into taking cinematic romantic pictures. If you want other pictures videos of this particular place, take a dinner cruise. If you’ve never done it before and you’re at the stage of life where you really just want to enjoy scenic Paris. Take it at 8 pm. I really enjoy this bridge because walking to it and then to Napoleon’s tomb is a wonderful walk and just nice.. It’s a lot of history and quite frankly just beautiful. We also went this year on July 14 so we saw all of the military parade fanfare. Very interesting way to experience Paris.
Shien Z — Google review
A bridge made for photos, romance, and love locks — though most of them had to go before the whole thing collapsed. Now it’s more of a chill spot with great views of the Seine and the Louvre. Perfect for a break, a sit-down, or just watching boats (and tourists) float by.
Michael N — Google review
This bridge of lovers is amazing! A good spot to take lovers' or couple pictures. There was an ice cream court at the end of the bridge, try it! But for your own safety don't leave locks on the bridge, it is not allowed anymore and the police may charge you.
Dávid F — Google review
Pont des Arts is one of the best spots in Paris for sunset, with a clear view down the Seine and the city lighting up around you. It connects the Louvre to the Institut de France, and the open walkway gives you plenty of angles for photos, though you’ll need a bit of patience to snap a clean shot. As the sun dips, the golden light on the river and rooftops is worth the wait. It’s the kind of place where you can pause, breathe, and take in the beauty of the city without needing to rush off, making it one of the simplest but most memorable stops in Paris.
Noel M — Google review
I love to take a pensive, leisurely stroll along the bridges of the Seine. The bridges over the Seine are all beautiful and poetic, but the Pont des Arts is one of the most poetic. As I look at the people gathered at the Pont des Arts, I imagine their beautiful lives.
Yasukawa Y — Google review
Good spot in Paris for couples, strolling hand in hand over the Pont des Arts with the Seine glistening below and the city’s iconic views all around felt magical. We took our time, snapped some photos, and just soaked in the romance of Paris.
VIC — Google review
Pont des Arts is one of those places that feels effortlessly Parisian. It’s a simple pedestrian bridge, but with a charm that makes you want to linger. The views of the Seine and the surrounding architecture are stunning — especially at sunset. While the famous love locks have mostly been removed, the spirit of romance and creativity still lingers. There were artists sketching, couples strolling, and musicians playing when I visited. It’s a lovely spot to pause, breathe, and take in the city. Not a major tourist attraction in terms of “things to do,” but definitely worth a visit if you want to slow down and enjoy the Paris vibe.

Place de la Bastille is a historic square in Paris, known for its iconic July Column that stands above the bars and cafes. It is shared with the 4th, 11th, and 12th arrondissements and was once the site of the infamous Bastille prison. The square has witnessed several revolutions that have significantly impacted French history.
La Place de la Bastille is an iconic landmark, as it is where Parisians raided the prison in 1789 for arms and gunpowder to defend themselves against the king's troops. I found myself here 236 years later eating a rotisserie chicken and some potatoes from the Bastille market, draped in a red beret. They walked so I could run. Place de la Bastille in Paris is a very versatile area. The monument itself is a beacon in the city with the tall column with the bright gold angelic figure on top with wings spread wide. We came in at around lunch time and were able to get some food, fruits, vintage pendant, vintage broach and a cute top for my mom. Merchants are nice and be prepared to get out your google translator cause not all merchant can speak English. Remember you are in their country so at least a little French and smile will come a long way. I never had any issues with anyone in France.

Since the first time in Paris I have been to the Place de la Bastille many many times. Everytime I went there it was severely improved. For cyclist it is now reasonably safe to cycle there (which was once very problematic), because there is much less traffic. More space for pedestrians also. The restaurants and bars around the place are very cosy and agréable! There is the big opera, and the Coulin Vert in the neighborhood, a very lovery walking parc on an old railway. Ideal for jogging in the early morning. Off course all the boulevards ending on the Place the la Bastille are also ideal for jogging, walking and cycling around Paris. Safe roads to get through Paris safely. Because of the lesser traffic, the air is very much improved. And it is still improving. Quite a big difference with 30 years ago or even 10 years ago.

Refinancing The refinancing capacities of the French State are weak. And, now, the interest-rates are going up. A new Power Plant costs in the range (of at least) 25 billions. If you have 56 more or less old Power Plants, which are endangered, it is sufficent to take a pocket calculator. The life span of the existing ones is limited, and there are serious security points. Thus, logically, shut-downs. As it seems, a consideration on the economic costs would be worthwile.

After the Comte's death in 1753, the palace was purchased by him for the residence of the Marquis de Pompidore, one of Louis XV's mistresses. After this period, the palace was used for the residence of Princess Bathilde Dorlean, daughter of Prince Kende. But later, after the French Revolution and during the Napoleonic era, it was used as the presidential palace.

Av. des Champs-Élysées is a renowned avenue in Paris, lined with gardens, upscale shops, and restaurants. It's a must-visit for anyone exploring the city, offering a picturesque stroll from Place de la Concorde to Place Charles De Gaulle. The avenue's beauty and elegance are highlighted during Christmas when it's adorned with colorful lights. While some historic hotels have closed, Av. des Champs-Élysées remains an iconic symbol of Parisian charm.
Nice place for a walk. From arc of triumph straight the avenue you can spend 1 hour walking

It is a must visit place in Paris, and it end (or begins) at the Arc de Triumphant. I highly recommend visiting the Arc then walk at the avenue. This way you won’t be going up hill.

Museums
The Petit Palais is a beautifully adorned 1900 building designed in the Beaux-Arts architectural style, originally constructed for the Universal Exposition. It now houses the City of Paris Museum of Fine Arts, showcasing an eclectic collection ranging from Renaissance to 20th-century artworks. The gallery features European art spanning from Classical antiquity to renowned artists like Albrecht Durer and Impressionists such as Claude Monet and Paul Cezanne.
I’m so glad I made time to visit the Petit Palais during my trip to Paris. The building itself is stunning, with breathtaking architecture that feels like a work of art before you even step inside. The museum’s collection is equally impressive, featuring pieces by Monet as well as masterpieces from the Dutch Golden Age and beyond. What amazed me most is that admission is completely free, and the wait to enter was minimal. I spent over two hours exploring the galleries and could have easily stayed longer. It’s a wonderful mix of grandeur, history, and artistic treasure. The Petit Palais truly feels like one of Paris’s hidden gems, and I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary.

A free jewel to get in! This Museum is a spectacular place to visit, is very impressive from the golden ornate gate to the cafe and gardens in the back ! Is worthy to visit to admire the Sculptures and paintings… all these wonderful place was built for the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris! Beautiful Art Decorative examples from 1900

• Architectural gem: The building itself, designed by Charles Girault for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, is celebrated for its ornate Beaux-Arts style, grand façade, domes and interior courtyard. • Free entry (permanent collection): One of the more accessible major museums in Paris — the permanent collection in the Petit Palais is free, making it a very good value stop. • High-quality art collection: The museum houses works by significant artists (e.g., Paul Cézanne, Gustave Courbet) plus decorative arts, sculpture, and objects spanning antiquity through the 19th century. • Pleasant environment: Reviewers frequently mention that it feels less crowded than the major tourist museums, with a restful internal garden and a welcoming atmosphere.

Loved this at museum! The building architecture is spectacular. It's free, they also have a Monet on display with some modern art as well. They have a mix of paintings, artifacts, and statues. Statues were lovely to see in beautiful light, and prices were nicely laid out so it didn't seem too overwhelming. Highly recommend!

Perfect opportunity in Paris to visit a free museum. The works are introduced by art paintings and interior furniture as historical part of the palace. It has several big halls describing different period of times. Additionally paintings are mixed with the classics and modern, and you can find some famous artist works there too (like Renoir). Great place to stop by when exploring Paris historical center

Beautiful free museum, there are tickets you can buy where you are able to skip the line and see a temporary exhibit but there’s so much to see without buying it and the wait was only about 20 minutes! Beautiful paintings and ceilings and a wonderful gift shop! Was very crowded.

A free castle turned museum pretty from the outside pretty from the inside. And also they have extra exhibition from basel in front of the building where you can chill and eat snacks. Ah coming here is like living out the “movie-like” life. They have lockers for bags under 40 cm or like cabin baggage (?) The personeels are friendly, inside you have beautiful arts

The Petit Palais is just opposite the Grand Palais and is gorgeous in its own, slightly more understated tone than the Grand. The detailing on the entrance is exquisite. It’s free to get in to if you’re willing to wait in line, unfortunately we didn’t have time as we had so much to see on our first Paris trip, but next time!

The Grande Arche de la Défense is a 110-meter steel and stone monument shaped like a hollow cube, which is illuminated at night. Visitors can spend more than a day exploring the business district, starting with access to the 110-meter high rooftop offering panoramic views of Paris.
A Modern Marvel in Paris I was truly impressed when I first saw the Grande Arche de la Défense. Even more so when I learned it was built in the 1980s — I honestly thought it was just 5 or 10 years old! Its modern design feels so fresh and timeless. What makes it even more fascinating is the alignment: the Grande Arche sits perfectly on the “Axe historique” — a straight line that connects some of Paris’s most iconic landmarks, from the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe all the way out here to La Défense. Standing there, you feel like you’re part of a living timeline of Parisian history, stretching from past to present. Paris never ceases to amaze at every turn, and the Grande Arche is a must-visit if you want to see how the city blends history with modernity.
Dmytro M — Google review
Definitely worth a short visit to see the newer and more modern "downtown" area of Paris. The defense plaza has a lot of great shops, mall, restaurants and other things to do while you hang out downtown. I decided not to go up in the observation deck but just enjoying a relaxing morning loitering around the area and sightseeing the building architecture and designs. Thankful that it's a clear sunshiny day because it lends to better pictures with the right angle. Recommended to plan for 1 to 2 hours walking around the downtown area.
Bret B — Google review
The Grand Arch in La Defense district is truly a marvel to behold. It is relatively new and therefore does not come to mind for many people travelling to Paris. If you have the time however, I would highly recommend visiting the arch as it does stand out as one of the most awe-inspiring architectural marvels I have ever come across.
Minh N — Google review
The Grande Arche de la Défense is not just an architectural wonder—it is Paris’s modern face, a striking counterpoint to its historic landmarks. Visiting it provides a refreshing perspective on the city: a balance between heritage and innovation, tradition and progress.
Muhammad M — Google review
A modern architectural masterpiece located in the business district of La Défense, west of Paris. Completed in 1989, it was designed by Danish architect Johan Otto von Spreckelsen as a 20th-century reinterpretation of the Arc de Triomphe, symbolizing peace and humanitarian ideals rather than military victory. The Grande Arche stands 110 meters high and is perfectly aligned with the historical axis of Paris, connecting the Louvre, the Champs-Élysées, and the Arc de Triomphe. Visitors can take an elevator to the rooftop terrace for one of the best panoramic views of Paris. A fascinating detail: the building’s structure is slightly tilted forward by about 6 degrees a deliberate choice to create a sense of openness toward the world.
Patrizia P — Google review
A modern version of the Arc de Triomphe straight down the Av. Charles de Gaulle at the La Défense metro station. I didn’t realise just how large this was going to be and I’m so glad it had recently become lit up for the evenings so you could really appreciate the scale, the night after we visited the lights were off again. Definitely worth a visit to see the more modern part of down town Paris. All glass and metal in comparison to stone.
Jamie H — Google review
Crowed and noisy, la Defence is a great place to get robbed. Never relax there, I grabbed a cup of coffee, and my phone was stollen in no time. The other time, in a pity attempt to find a metro station I had to walk the exotic streets of the district, shortly to learn that actually I was at level -7 and then at -1 through a parking and more creepy corners I managed to find the stairs to get to the main square. The metro is a separate story. If you like escape games, feel free to try to find the right train at Grande Arche. Oh, and if the trains will work, because in 2 weeks I had 3 situations, when they were canceled and I had to take the alternatives, that are much longer.
Hanna P — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen in my life the size of it is breathtaking every time I see it plus there are 2 shopping malls and a easy connection to the centre of Paris. Also you can see straight into the centre of the city if you can go up the stairs My friend loved it sooo much that we went there twice

Champ de Mars is a spacious public green area situated in front of the Eiffel Tower, offering stunning views of the iconic landmark. It's a favorite spot for locals to gather for picnics and socializing when the weather is pleasant. The park features picturesque pathways lined with blossoming trees, ponds, and playgrounds, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
One of the best spot to look, view, take pictures, relax and seat while enjoying the sunset of the city. It's more quiet and less crowded but you can still see the beauty of Eiffel Tower.✨️🇨🇵❣️

Champ de Mars is one of the most beautiful spots in Paris to relax and take in the view of the Eiffel Tower. The park is spacious, well-kept, and perfect for a stroll, a picnic, or just sitting back to enjoy the atmosphere. Families, couples, and friends all gather here, and it feels lively but peaceful at the same time. It’s especially magical at sunset, when the sky glows behind the Eiffel Tower, and even more so at night when the tower begins to sparkle. There’s plenty of room to spread out, and the lawns are perfect for relaxing after walking through the city. A must-visit if you want that picture-perfect Paris experience with the Eiffel Tower as your background.

The Champ de Mars is one of the most iconic and picturesque spots in Paris, and visiting it was truly a highlight of my trip. Nestled right in front of the Eiffel Tower, this expansive public park offers one of the best open views of the tower, making it a perfect location for photography, picnics, or just relaxing and taking in the scenery. During the day, the park is filled with people lounging on the grass, families with children, and tourists snapping photos. It’s a peaceful place to take a break from the city bustle. The lawns are well-maintained and spacious, allowing plenty of room to spread out, even when it's busy. In the evening, the vibe shifts. As the Eiffel Tower begins to sparkle, the Champ de Mars transforms into a magical gathering place. People bring blankets, snacks, and even wine to enjoy the view. The sunset over the tower is a must-see and makes for incredible photos. There are also street vendors around, offering snacks and souvenirs, and the whole area feels safe and welcoming. Plus, it's a great spot for a casual stroll, whether you're on your own, with friends, or as a couple. If you’re planning to visit the Eiffel Tower, make sure to spend some time in the Champ de Mars—it’s the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Paris at your own pace.

Great views, relaxed vibe, and perfect for Eiffel Tower moments Champ de Mars is one of those places that makes you stop and take it all in. It’s a huge open park stretching out from the Eiffel Tower, and it’s perfect for relaxing, having a picnic, or just sitting and watching the world go by. I came here in the late afternoon and stayed until the Eiffel Tower lights came on — the sparkle at night is honestly magical from here. It can get crowded in some spots, especially closer to the tower, but there’s plenty of space to spread out. Street vendors are everywhere (some can be pushy), but it’s manageable. Overall, it’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy one of the most iconic views in the world.

Champs de Mars. It is enough to step in to immediatelly immerse yourself into what Paris is about. The Eiffel Tour dominates the view, hence, one may slow down and focus on experiencing the atmosphere. Well, this is also a perfect photo spot that guarantees final result.

Nestled in the charming Saint-Germain neighborhood, Église Saint-Sulpice stands as a stunning testament to 17th-century Baroque architecture. Often referred to as the Cathedral of the Rive Gauche, this grand Roman Catholic church boasts an intricately designed facade and a breathtaking dome that bathes its interior in natural light. Its construction spanned nearly a century, from 1646 to 1745, involving numerous architects and resulting in an unfinished south tower that contrasts with its taller counterpart.
Not sure why but I was a little overwelhmed by the experience. It's impressive in size and architecture but there many cathedrals that compare. But there was something about the visit that was different in an emotional way for me on that day. Anyways, if you are nearby then take the opportunity. It's worth the time. It's free. It's accessible.

Saint-Sulpice Church is a remarkable historic landmark with impressive architecture and art. I attended mass here, and the atmosphere highlighted the grandeur of the space. A significant place to experience both heritage and worship in Paris. The church is spacious, historically significant, and less crowded than other Parisian monuments, making it easy to explore its details and artistry.
Pascale-Cécile — Google review
The Church of Saint-Sulpice, located in the fashionable 6th arrondissement of Paris, is one of the most significant and largest churches in the city, second only to Notre-Dame in size. Its construction took more than 130 years, from 1646 to 1780, and involved several architects, resulting in a distinctive blend of Baroque and Classical styles. The church was originally built on the site of an older 12th-century Romanesque church. The building's facade remains unfinished, lacking one of its planned towers, giving it a unique, somewhat asymmetrical appearance. The interior is striking in its scale and austere elegance. The main treasures inside are the frescoes by Eugène Delacroix, located in the first chapel on the right. Another unique artifact is the gnomon, an astronomical instrument created in the 18th century to accurately determine the date of Easter. It consists of a copper strip embedded in the floor of the nave and a system of holes in the windows that allow sunlight to fall on a white marble obelisk and a scale on its surface at noon, marking the spring equinox.
Azar — Google review
Beautiful cathedral, with free entry and offering historic art and peaceful place to sit and rest from the busy parisian street life. Tour Saint-Jacques is a historic monument located in the Square Saint-Jacques, Paris. It is the only remaining part of the 16th-century Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie church, which served as a starting point for pilgrims traveling to Santiago de Compostela. The tower offers limited access to visitors and provides breathtaking views of Paris from the top.
Tour Saint-Jacques is one of those hidden gems in the heart of Paris that many people walk past without realizing how cool it actually is. It’s all that remains of a 16th-century church, and it really stands out. This tall, gothic-style structure in the middle of a small park. The tower is tied to the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and it’s rich in history, with statues, carvings, and interesting details that are easier to notice up close. There are guided tours during certain months of the year (usually in summer, should be May 15 through November 15, 2025, ticket for adult around €12), and visitors who take the tour can climb to the top. It’s a bit of a workout, over 300 steps, but the view is amazing. You get a panoramic look at Paris from a quieter, less touristy spot. The park around the base is also a nice bonus. It’s small but calm, with trees and benches, a good place to rest or have a snack. Even if you don’t go up, the tower is worth seeing from ground level. Overall, Tour Saint-Jacques is a cool mix of history, architecture, and city views. It’s not as famous as the Eiffel Tower or Notre-Dame, but for people who enjoy hidden gems and historical landmarks, it’s definitely worth a stop.
Ivan T — Google review
The Tour Saint-Jacques is one of Paris’s most underappreciated historical sites. Located in the 4th arrondissement, it is the only remaining part of the former Church of Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie, which was demolished during the French Revolution. The tower was built in the early 16th century and restored in recent decades. Many visitors to Paris overlook it, even though it stands only a few minutes from Châtelet and Hôtel de Ville. The site is open from mid-May to mid-November, Wednesday to Sunday, with entry by guided visit only. Tickets cost €12 for adults and €10 for students and visitors under 18. The climb involves approximately 300 steps, and while it requires some effort, it is manageable for most visitors in good health. The guided visit provides useful historical context about the tower’s construction, its role in the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, and its architectural details. From the top, visitors can enjoy a clear and impressive 360-degree view of Paris, including major landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Seine. The atmosphere is calm and the number of visitors limited, which allows for an unhurried experience. Overall, the Tour Saint-Jacques offers one of the best panoramic views in Paris, and its historical significance makes it a valuable alternative to the city’s more crowded monuments. It deserves far more attention than it usually receives.
Przemyslaw K — Google review
A well organized and enjoyable visit led by a team of two young ladies who are very helpful and know the history of the place. The journey of 300 hundred steps is doable and includes two informative short breaks. The reward is a 360 degrees panoramic and breathtaking view of Paris. An excellent photo opportunity as it gives a bird eye view of many key sites. This was the highlight of our visit and it is strongly recommended.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful place to visit in the heart of Paris! I visited Tour Saint-Jacques with my family and we really enjoyed it. The tower is beautiful, surrounded by a lovely park full of people relaxing and taking photos. It’s very close to the metro, and we also did some shopping nearby at a Japanese shopping mall (I forgot the name). The area has many cafés and shops, so it’s perfect for spending a nice afternoon. I highly recommend visiting if you’re exploring central Paris — peaceful, historical, and full of local life!
Kaniz F — Google review
The tour of the Tour is only open in the summer months so it’s best to buy tickets in advance and ensure it’s open. The tour guides give a nice overview of the history, but the amazing views over the Paris monuments is the real star of the show. Check your vertigo before heading up the 300 narrow steps!
Rod “ — Google review
The tower is temporarily closed (only open in the summer), but still worth going and having a look, I spotted it by chance walking some distance away and just wondered what the tall tower was so quickly checked it on Google. The tower is architecturally picturesque and it’s a shame that many seem to just walk past without noticing too much, the story of the tower is very interesting and worth having a read!
Jamie H — Google review
We have walked the Camino De Santiago already, so when we saw the clam shells in the sidewalk and found the St. James Tower, we had to book a tour. We did the guided tour in English, since my French is spotty in the least. Our guide was amazing, she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our groups questions easily. The climb to the top is 300+ steps, steep steps…. But the view when we finally got to the top was amazing. We had about 20 minutes to catch our breath and enjoy the views. It was definitely worth the price especially since we are peregrinos of “The Way”.
Larry N — Google review
We didn’t climb. But it was such an unexpected surprise to see this tower. If you’re passing by, it’s definitely worth a quick visit. And if you are inclined to walk up 300 steps, go for it. Everyone says the views are magnificent

The Arènes de Lutèce is a partially destroyed Roman amphitheatre that was discovered in the 19th century and is surrounded by lush gardens. It is one of the few remaining Roman-era structures in Paris, dating back to the 1st century AD after the Roman conquest of Lutetia. With a capacity for up to 17,000 spectators, it served as a venue for various events including theater performances and gladiator fights.
This old roman amphitheater turned into public garden is an amazing place to come relax in the heart of paris, read a book or have a bite. I also got to people watch french people and families playing and having their noon breaks. A nice clash of history and nature. It is free of charge.

It’s free! Only some tours make you think it’s not which unethical. It’s a relic for sure and it’s nice to interact with the place which can be quite hidden because it’s behind existing buildings. Nice to see people playing games and having fun, after all this is in a residential area and isnt made for tourists. Not super relaxing but more of a place to engage and see how Parisians interact with each other. Lots of decent shops around and quieter green spaces if you need relief

Free to visit. The Roman theatre from the first century AD once hosted theatrical shows and gladiatorial contests and could seat 15,000 people. Much of the seating was destroyed and what you can see now is new. But you can still see the huge stage. It's now a city park and easily accessible.

The Fontaine Saint-Sulpice is a beautiful square fountain in Paris designed by Louis Visconti. Each of the four sculptures on the fountain were designed by a different sculptor and depict important religious figures from the 17th century. The duck sculpture is particularly charming!
Beautiful square with imposing water fountain located in front of the Eglise Saint Sulpice. Nice area to take in a breather or simply enjoy the architecture and vibe that Paris has to offer. It is a relatively quiet place so not too crowded. It is located in an area that appears to be a fairly affluent district of Paris with specialist designer shops. Both the church and the fountain are cool places to frequent or visit.

The plaza is huge and there is pleanty of places around the fountain to shade from the sun if its too hot. Really remarkable creation by highly skilled artisans. It's next to the Catholic cathedral, so you get two attractions within 50 metres of each other. Relax and grab a photo and watch the promenade of people.

Located within a small square in front of the church of the same name, stands this rather impressive fountain, (currently not running, due to winter), built in the mid 1800’s. Our attention was drawn to the four guys sitting, under a canopy, representing (popular)religious figures, of the time. During our visit there was a very posh brocante being held in the square surrounding the fountain.

Located right in front of the église of Saint Sulpice it’s quite large water fountain and beautiful square park surrounded. Not many trees around but the number of the benches are sufficient enough to people can rest there.
Putri D — Google review
Big old fountain with lots of open space around it, easy enough to spend 5 minuets here and enjoy the water works before moving on lots to see and do in this area so it’s especially worth popping into the huge tomb across the path.

The Fontaine Saint-Sulpice is a historic fountain located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, near the church of Saint-Sulpice. It is a popular tourist destination and is known for its beautiful neoclassical design. The fountain was built in the 18th century and features four allegorical statues representing the Seine, the Loire, the Rhone, and the Garonne, the four major rivers in France.

The Church and fountain are right in the middle of everything if you are staying in our favorite area in Paris. I've never been here in high tourist season, so for me, it's a quiet place with seating, and a beautiful fountain. It's everything you want Paris to be.

Hôtel des Invalides, located in the heart of Paris, is a historic complex with a rich military history. Originally commissioned by Louis XIV to accommodate wounded soldiers and veterans, it now houses the Musée de l'Armée, showcasing French military artifacts. The complex also includes the impressive Cathedral of the French Military, known as the Dôme des Invalides, which serves as a mausoleum for renowned officers like Napoleon Bonaparte.
An amazing building complex! The spacious green place in front of it is wonderful, the grass js just Wow! You can lay on it and it is very comfy. The building itself is huge. You can go in some parts of it for free. At the end, under the dome you can see the tomb of Napoleon. It needs an admission ticket but the view is great even from the entrance.

We bought tickets onsite without issue. This place is large so we spent about 1.5 hours here. Some of the artifacts on display are amazing! I am not a huge history buff but this museum definitely kept my attention.
Trouvaille B — Google review
I visited Hôtel des Invalides on the 6th of October, and it was a truly memorable experience. The architecture alone is breathtaking, especially the golden dome that crowns the complex. Inside, I explored the military museum and Napoleon’s tomb—both deeply impressive and rich with history. I highly recommend going, but make sure to buy your ticket online in advance. Mine cost 17 euros, and it saved me time at the entrance. Overall, it was a smooth and enriching visit.

Amazing history. The place is huge. It took us 3hrs and we skipped on museum. If you like details.about military strategy and French history, this is your place. If you dont want to spend time in the two museums you can skip and go straight to the dome where Napoleon tumb is.

Les Invalides in Paris is a stunning historic complex, famous for its golden dome, Napoleon’s tomb, and the French Army Museum. Beautiful architecture, rich history, and well curated exhibits make it a must visit for history lovers, though it can get crowded during peak hours.
Strsljen47 — Google review
The name of the cathedral is an abbreviation of "Hospital des invalides". Later, the war veterans requested a chapel, which was built in 1679 (Church of Saint-Louis des Invalides). The remains of the greatest French military genius Napoleon (1769-1821) are located under the Dome.

One of those places where you spend most of your time walking around with your jaw dropped. Massive interior, a towering dome, and tombs of France’s great minds. And if you get in for free? Well, that makes the view even sweeter… hehehe. :) The rooftop panorama is one of the best in Paris. Impressive from the outside — even more so inside. Surprisingly powerful experience.

One of the most beautiful public parks in the world, let alone Paris. Whether you are going for a morning run, an afternoon picnic or just watching the world go by such a beautiful place to spend time. Great architecture, beautiful gardens and sculptures.

Absolutely stunning!!! Great for just sitting and relaxing while enjoying a snack or drink. Good also for reading, people watching, etc. Should not miss it when visiting this city. A very nice big garden to take a walk, job or just relax and enjoy the plants and nature. The only bad thing is that during a rainy day the ground vecomes very muddy and shoes get dirty very easily. But it is a great area to take a stroll and have a bit extra oxygen!!

Beautiful park. Lots of nice sculptures in between the green plants and pathways. Beautiful mansion on one side and a fountain on the other side. Little bit more quieter area of central Paris, less tourists. Lots of chairs around the park

Visited the Park on a sunny Sunday afternoon in September and it was crowded with sun worshippers. No people are allowed on the grass areas so there are open views of the Chateau and statues. The gardens are beautiful and relaxing and definitely worth a visit. The Pantheon is nearby and on a Sunday there is an active flea market.

Nestled in the heart of the Tuileries Gardens, Musee de l'Orangerie is a museum renowned for its impressive collection of 20th-century European art. Originally an orangery for the Tuileries Palace, it now houses iconic works including Claude Monet's famous Water Lilies series.
One of our favorite museums. Our kids enjoyed coming here. It’s a meditation space, which we didn’t realize until going there. It’s such a beautiful space and being a meditation space made it even better. You get to be wrapped around with Monet’s work, it was purely amazing! We got to paint with our travel paint set and pastels. There’s also a very cool kids space downstairs. We got tickets in advance but there’s a line if you don’t have tickets.
Off W — Google review
• The building itself is beautifully situated in the heart of Paris, at the southwest corner of the Jardin des Tuileries, near Place de la Concorde, which gives it a serene and convenient location. • One of the major draws: the museum is the permanent home of eight large murals by Claude Monet titled Les Nymphéas (Water Lilies). These works are considered masterpieces and they’re displayed in a specially designed series of oval rooms — an immersive experience. • The museum also holds a rich collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art, with works by Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, Pablo Picasso, and others. • Because it is somewhat smaller and quieter than some of the giant Paris museums (like the Louvre Museum or Musée d’Orsay), it often offers a more relaxed pace. Visitors praise it as a restful, high-quality stop. ⸻ ⚠️ Things to watch / considerations • While the museum is excellent, the overall size is modest compared to huge institutions; if your goal is a full-day art immersion with many wings and vast collections, you might find it less extensive. Some visitors say: “Very nice … but doesn’t compare to the giants.” • Because of its popularity (especially the Monet rooms), the museum can get crowded in those key galleries at peak times. To have the best experience, timing helps. • The museum is closed on Tuesdays. Typical opening hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last admission around 5:15 p.m. • Some signage and labels may be more detailed in French than in English, meaning that visitors who read only English might wish to arrange for an audio guide or download a guide ahead.
Amrit D — Google review
Remarkable oval rooms showing Monet's Nymphéas paintings, and a nice collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works. I specifically liked the selection and size, strolled slowly and attentively through it all in about 2 hours. You can walk in and by tickets, if the online tickets are sold out. At 10am there was no queue, and you can buy combo ticket also for the near by huge Musée d'Orsay

What a wonderful museum to explore !! More of a relaxing experience to be sure. Not as hectic or as busy as The Louvre. You really get to enjoy the displays more than you would at other museums. You Definitely do not feel the pressure to keep moving like other locations. Many Renoir’s to view as well as Picasso’s, Gaugain’s and many Monet’s. The 8 water lily’s mural collection is amazing !! I would highly recommend the Musee de l’Orangerie as a must see while in Paris. So many beautiful works to view and enjoy. Paul and Andrea Canada 🇨🇦

Easily one of the best small museums to visit. It’s just as crowded as the others, but much smaller so not as overwhelming. They famously house Monet’s Waterlillies in multiple rooms. It is truly breathtaking. It would be more enjoyable if people weren’t right in front of it taking multiple videos as if they were making tiktoks. Multiple members of the staff had to shush them as they got too noisy. There are a ton of other great pieces here. I saw so many notable pieces. I think I walked each area a couple of times. It’s a pretty small space. I highly recommend making a day of it and hanging at this area alone. The museum is at the corner of the Tuileries Garden. On the opposite side is the Louvre. You can dedicate a whole day just in this corner alone. On a good day you can chill by the fountain and watch the ducks swim by. It doesn’t hurt that the metro stop is just steps away.
Julie D — Google review
A great museum with a variety of contemporary paintings and other exhibits as well as the crown jewel, the Monet Lillies huge paintings! It was an easy museum to enter and roam around. I was surprised by the range of exhibits which were very interesting to see and learn about. The Monet Lillies were of course majestic and there was enough space for people to sit on the couches in the middle of the room to rest. The only downside was that the cafeteria was under renovation and could not have a snack break. I would visit this museum again to see their interesting exhibitions as well as try their cafeteria space!
George K — Google review
I loved this museum. The huge Monet waterlilies were meditative. The rest of the museum had a great permanent collection and a show by Berthe Weille, Parisian female art dealer. There were noteworthy pieces in the show and it was a very interesting approach for curation. Be prepared to wait wait in a line outside. It is a great museum.

We thoroughly enjoyed this “small” museum. It is rather tiny compared to Louvre, D’Orsay, etc, but it still took us 3.25 hours to make our way through all the gorgeous art. We sat for nearly an hour just in the two rooms with the Water Lilly panels.

The Place des Vosges is the oldest planned square in Paris, dating back to 1612. Once home to royals at the Hotel des Tournelles, it now boasts high-end boutiques, galleries, and top-rated restaurants. Nearby accommodations offer stylish interiors and a tranquil private patio.

Place des Vosges is an absolute must-visit. Seriously, it's my favorite park of all time! It might be small, but it's incredibly charming and instantly transports you to a quieter time. It's especially stunning during the late summer and autumn when the leaves start turning those incredible shades of gold, red, and brown—the photo ops here are just unreal! Be prepared for it to get super busy when the weather is nice, but trust me, it’s worth navigating the crowds. It's perfect for a quick, peaceful stroll or, even better, planning a full picnic lunch on the lawn. And the best part is you’re surrounded by amazing local finds! There are tons of cafés, restaurants, chic boutiques, and brilliant boulangeries just steps away. Grabbing a fresh baguette, some cheese, and a pastry to enjoy right in the park is essential. Plus, there are so many fascinating things to see and do in the immediate area.

A quaint spot to play, meditate, exercise, or browse nearby boutiques. Shaded by neatly trimmed platanes and tilleuls, the park offers cool refuge under their canopies. Under the colonnades, you’ll find art, quirky shops, and bars. Come early to catch a quieter mood, a few sleepers and early risers shifting about. By 9, the tourists begin to arrive. Nearby, the Victor Hugo House museum adds a touch of history.

Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is an engaging museum that showcases the arts and civilizations of Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, the museum's unique design incorporates elements symbolizing the forest, river, and themes of death and oblivion. The museum complex consists of four interconnected buildings featuring plate glass, natural woods, concrete integrated with nature and vegetation.
A wonderful museum- I think the highlight of our trip! We didn't have long enough- must go back! Superb building- the best collection of objects I've ever seen, beautifully displayed, the sinuous, curving leather clad walls, the interesting shaped little side rooms, great lighting- and a joyful river of words that flowed down from the upper floors. Helpful staff, good cloakroom and plentiful toilets made it a comfortable as well as inspiring visit!

One of the most interactive and accessible museums I have ever visited: and the fun activities are not exclusively reserved to children! The display was pretty respectful of the original cultures in my opinion, and it opened my mind a lot. Of course I believe works of art should be displayed in their rightful countries, but, in the meantime, this is as good as it gets. The garden is stunning, too! Accessible features: lots of elevators, no steps at all, tactile and phonic route for visually impaired people, tactile map of the building Other features I liked: storytelling guide, creative space for drawing/colouring/making origami, reading room with lots of wonderful books in a wide range of genres and target ages (Which might double as a quiet room for those with sensory issues, albeit not specifically designed for that), wonderful personnel

This a quirky little museum with a huge garden entry and a strange collection of artifacts. We wanted to see the crystal skull they had in their collection but it is only visible online. I couldn't help but notice a recurring theme of what seemed to me to be evidence of "Off world" visitors in their collection. You be the judge. We had the Paris Musuem pass so it was fun to check out and really close to our hotel.

This museum has no renowned fame like the Louvre or Orsay but it's totally worth the visit if you are in Paris. The building is very modern and faces the Seine with wonderful views from the rooftop. There are many art exhibitions from all the continents except Europe, with objects that are unique and you may not appreciate anywhere else. You’ll be able to admire the beauty, diversity, and richness of garments from regions such as the Maghreb, the Middle East, India, China, and Japan. Guided tours of the exhibition are available, offering a deeper understanding of the works on display. These tours provide an enriching perspective on the history of gold in textile arts.

Château de Vincennes is a massive 14th-century castle featuring a moat, towers, a pavilion, and state rooms. Originally part of the royal hunting grounds in the Bois de Vincennes, it was initially built as a lodge by Louis VII in the 12th century. Over time, it evolved into a castle that became dear to Louis IX (St-Louis), who reportedly administered justice under an oak tree nearby.
Château de Vincennes was one of my favorite things I toured while in Paris!! It's a beautiful and well-preserved medieval fortress just outside Paris. I took a quick metro ride over & went as soon as they opened. I had the entire place to myself. It was WILD to be touring a historical place in Paris without the typical massive crowds of tourists. It felt like a secret unknown spot from the mass of tourists & was refreshing after a week of non stop crowds everywhere I toured. You can walk around outside for free & see the massive chapel & keep. For a cheap ticket you can then explore INSIDE the fortress & the chapel. The inside of the fortress is preserved & it was stunning to walk inside something built in the 1300s. It was really jaw dropping. Once you scan your ticket & enter, you can walk around, explore, take photos & take in the history at your own pace away from large tourist crowds or anyone bothering you. It was very peaceful to walk down the hallways of something so historic. If you love history, want to see a historic (mid evil) piece of Paris or just want a break from the typical Paris crowds, this place is for you! I was SO glad I gave this spot time during my busy schedule in Paris!
Heather B — Google review
Stepping into the grounds of Château de Vincennes felt like entering a page of French history — grand towers, ancient stone walls, and the sound of hooves echoing through the courtyard. Watching the parade of military horsemen was truly a sight to behold — a perfect blend of tradition, discipline, and grace. It’s moments like these that remind you how beautifully France preserves its royal and military heritage.

Great place with monumental architecture and long history. Entrance for people with disabilities was completely free. The area was equipped with accessible ramps for people with disabilities, but the entrance for some areas of the castle is still unavailable for wheelchair/walker users. Also, you can buy souvenirs on the spot.

This is a wonderful place to explore. It's easily accessible by bus or metro and it boarders a large park that includes the zoo. You can easily spend a whole day in the area, especially with kids. My 12 year old grandson loved the castle. It was nearly empty when we visited and it felt like real exploring, passages, towers, and "secret rooms", his imagination took us on quite an adventure.

I was visiting the Chateau Vincennes during the week and in the morning, right at the opening hours. And it was a good decision because it was not crowded and we visit all the places quietly. Very special place. If you come to Paris and you have time, it's a good decision to visit this chateau.

We found the Château de Vincennes to be a delightful surprise. It is more fortresses-like than castle in our opinion having served as both over the centuries. It was also used as a prison interring Marquis de Sade, Mirabeau and many French Resistance fighters during the occupation of World War II. The walls are magnificent and it is almost all open for visit.

I was quite impressed with the château. It’s very well preserved and a great spot for those who love history and medieval times. It’s also easy to reach from Paris — just a short metro ride and a few minutes’ walk from the station. I visited in the first half of the day and it wasn’t crowded at all, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely recommend taking the self-guided tour — it adds a lot to the visit!

The Institut de France is a grand, baroque-style building with a magnificent cupola, serving as the headquarters for five prestigious French intellectual academies. Situated by the Seine River, this esteemed institution is dedicated to promoting literature, arts, and sciences within an elegant neoclassical setting. Visitors can explore the rich history and knowledge within its walls and should not miss the opportunity to visit the magnificent Mazarine Library.
Really impressive dome and building frontage, visible from the opposite river bank. Not so popular a tourist site but well worth a photograph. Home of a massive library.

Beautiful 17th‑century gem along the Seine—its grand dome, stately colonnade, and harmonious symmetry are utterly captivating. A truly elegant landmark in the heart of Paris.
Abdelmonem J — Google review
Architecturally beautiful facility including the Mazarine Library. I was fortunate to visit on the Jour de Patrimoine when buildings are opened to the public to visit for free.

Amazing building, so nice to see from the Sienne river cruise! So magnificent under the night lights
Sujay S — Google review
Amazing looking building housing the French academies sitting on the side of the Seine river. The dome of the building is magnificent and impressive.

This library was AWESOME. Quiet and beautiful. The bathroom left something to be desired. But staff was helpful and they give you a sticker to wear as a visitor. The best part is: it's free. I heard theres a Gutenberg Bible but I was too shy to ask where it was. 😭
Alana S — Google review
An architectural beauty. Both outside and inside. Admiring the building from the art bridge is a blessing. Inside, the main conference room is dramatic. The seats are very comfortable, the facilities super modern. If you get the chance to go inside, don't miss it.
Michaël D — Google review
Came with my friend for à la revise des Prix 2018 de la Foundation culturelle franco-taïwanaise. Subtle and quite atmosphere. I was amazed by the colour choices for seats and carpets. Very comforting and calm olive green with gentle luster from the velvet texture. Designs are not loud and aggressive but the good taste last for the flood of history. They also have a small collection of Leonardo Da Vinci’s sketches.

Cultural landmark
The Louvre Pyramid, designed by I. M. Pei, serves as the entrance to an underground exhibition area and has become a significant landmark since its inauguration in 1989. Comprising 673 glass panels and sharing proportions with the Great Pyramid of Giza, it reflects the museum's collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Initially controversial, it is now a popular Parisian attraction alongside three smaller surrounding pyramids.
A stunning place in the heart of Paris! I love strolling around here, surrounded by the impressive architecture of the Louvre and the unique atmosphere of the city. You can really feel the history and beauty of Paris. Whether by day or at night, it’s a magical spot that never disappoints. A must-see if you’re visiting the capital!
Libra — Google review
While long lines of people wait to enter during the day, my favorite time to go is right before sunset as the sky is filled with beautiful colors and the pyramid begins to light up for the night. It’s also a great place to watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle for 5 minutes every hour on the hour at night. Enjoy!!
Debbie R — Google review
There is a lot to see here. They have guided tours, self audio guided tours, or self guided. Spent over 3hour casually roaming the museum. And still did not see all of it.. if your stay in Paris is short, Skip the Louvre museum and just explore the city.
Jim J — Google review
A must-visit place in Paris. The glass pyramid at the entrance of the world-famous Louvre Museum is truly beautiful. It looks great during the day, but at night when the lights are on, it shines spectacularly. A perfect spot for tourists to take photos. Before entering the museum, this place itself gives a wonderful experience.

During my visit to the Louvre Museum in Paris, I was amazed by its beautiful glass pyramids that shine elegantly in the courtyard. Inside, I admired the incredible collection of artworks and historical treasures. Seeing the famous Mona Lisa was an unforgettable moment. What truly fascinated me was the statue of the Kingdom of Lihyan, a magnificent piece from Saudi Arabia, displayed temporarily as part of a cultural collaboration between the two countries. It made me proud to see part of my country’s rich heritage presented in one of the world’s greatest museums.
Khalid H — Google review
Make sure to book your tickets in advance and try to come early in the morning the lines can get really long. The museum is huge, and you'll need at least 2-3 hours just to see the main highlights. From the Mona Lisa to ancient sculptures, the collection is incredible. It's a must-visit if you're in Paris, especially if you enjoy art and history.
Sahil B — Google review
A very unique and interesting part of the Louvre’s charm and character, plenty of angles to get a good picture opportunity… annoyingly we completely forgot to return at night to see it lit up!
Jamie H — Google review
When in Paris, a must see, if you’re an art lover, historian, or human that loves crowds… You must book in advance, queue up in designated area, follow the hordes into the museum, again through the galleries to invade Mona Lisa’s space, and then after that it’s mostly quiet except for a few other spaces with the “heavy hitters” like Nike, Venus & Hammurabi’s code… If you love art, avoid Mona, you can’t get a good view anyway. If you love to watch people, hang out there, millions pass by for selfies and just to say they’ve been there, rarely seeing anything… And as always, exit through the gift shop 🙄
