Bakery
Du Pain et des Idées is a renowned bakery in Paris, known for its traditional French pastries and the signature "pain des amis" bread. The bakery's founder, Christophe Vasseur, takes pride in handcrafting the Friendship Bread, using organic flour to achieve its distinct flavor and crusty texture. In the morning, visitors can indulge in a variety of house-made pastries such as raisin rolls and different flavors of l'escargot (a traditional morning Danish).
Stumbled upon this bakery on our walk and I must say, it was one of the best I have tried in Paris. Their apricot tart with almond base is absolutely divine. Cannot wait to come back and try some other things too! Definitely a hidden gem.

Hi, Everything here is simply delicious - every baked good made with heart and utmost care. The decor of the bakery is beautiful and unique, full of charm and atmosphere that makes you want to come back. The staff are smug, passionate and welcoming. If you're in the area, it's worth trying everything, as each product is a little culinary masterpiece. Definitely one of the best places I've had the chance to visit!
David S — Google review
Du Pain et des Idées is a must-visit bakery located in Paris’s 10th arrondissement, one of the city’s most authentic and surprisingly safe neighborhoods, where you can still find some of the most affordable living compared to central Paris. The bakery itself dates back to 1875, and you can feel its timeless charm the moment you step in. But the real joy comes when you sit outside: right in front, there are wooden tables where you can enjoy their unforgettable croissants and the famous escargot pastry. A little tip – grab a coffee from the lovely café just next door, then settle down at the bakery’s outdoor tables for the perfect Parisian breakfast moment. This combination of history, flavor, and atmosphere makes it not just a bakery stop, but a true Paris experience.
Senem B — Google review
Croissants were very good, coffee was good but probably a bit overpriced. We were lucky that there was a short queue only when we went but the line was long moments later. Seating limited - only some bench tables outside. We had the pain au chocolates and the pistachio escargot - would recommend both.
Sindy T — Google review
best pastries I’ve had in Paris! We got pastries from so many places during our stay in Paris, but this was hands down the best one we tried! I got the Pain Suisse and it was still warm and so flaky - butter and chocolate perfection! Going back for more as soon as possible, truly the best pastries in Paris!
Francesca I — Google review
Extremely overrated, another overhyped photogenic spot… After hearing all the good things about it on social media, we were so looking forward to trying their pistachio snail but only to be left with disappointment. Completely agree with the other comments that it’s soggy and flavourless. You could barely taste the pistachio. To be honest, you don’t have to make a trip just for a croissant in Pairs. In my experience, with boulangeries around every corner of Paris, just head to the closest one to your location. Those frequented by locals would always do better pastries than the popular touristy places
Emma — Google review
This pastry shop lives up to the hype. There was a short line around 10 a.m., but it moved quickly. Two communal tables are available outside for seating. Several varieties of pastries lined the counter, with a special shout-out to the pistachio escargot and flan. My friend got the fig pastry and couldn’t stop raving about it the entire trip. If it were closer to our hotel, we would have visited daily.
Ngan — Google review
Beautiful pastries in a cozy and nice space. I liked how they had a side window to hand over the drinks so the line in the store didn’t seem to get too long. I had “le flan” and it was the perfect complement to their hot chocolate, which was more on the unsweetened side.

Stohrer is a renowned pâtisserie that has been serving exquisite sweet and savory desserts and baked goods since 1730. Located on Rue Montorgueil, a bustling street in Paris, it offers a sensory delight with its array of boulangeries, patisseries, and food markets. Founded by Nicolas Stohrer, the pastry chef to King Louis XV, Stohrer is famous for inventing the rum baba.
The oldest pastry shop in Paris totally deserves a visit! I tried the vanilla flan, chocolate éclair and dark chocolate with hazelnuts, and it was all really delicious. The flan was the best I have ever eaten,so soft and the vanilla flavour was so rich! I will definitely go back and try something else. If you are in Paris, this place is a must-visit!
Gergana T — Google review
so good!!!!! It was our first time in the bakery so we just ordered what we thought might’ve been good. I loved the passionfruit desserts i got, they were my favorite ones. Macaroons were soft and chewy and I loved the flavors! The chocolate cake one was a bit too sweet but still 10/10!! I think the third one we got was a carmel thing which we didn’t like as much, the flavor was a bit too bland except for the crunchy shell of sugar. But again we were just randomly trying things, so overall everything was amazing! Will definitely come back again :) !!!
Ilovefood Y — Google review
The chocolate babka was very rich and delicious. The other desert had a good amount of rum in it. No coffee or seating here though so find some other place nearby for it. Overall would recommend!
Saravanan S — Google review
Exquisite lemon tart with good balance of tartness and sweetness Hazelnut Praline cake was excellent Although Stohrer is famous for their rum baba, it’s too alcoholic to my liking. It was drenched in rum syrup
Emma — Google review
This pastry shop is a gem! The chocolate cakes are decadent and rich, a true treat for any chocoholic. I also loved the pistachio and lemon desserts – the flavors are perfectly balanced, fresh, and not overly sweet. What I appreciate most is the ever-changing selection; it keeps the experience exciting every time I visit. The chocolate section is particularly fantastic, offering a variety of indulgent options. If you're in Paris, this spot is a must-visit for dessert lovers!

Stohrer patisserie is the oldest patisserie in Paris, was founded in 1730 by King Louis XV’s pastry chef, Nicolas Stohrer. The store is beautiful, you should take a look if you’re around. Their patisseries look amazing, I tried raisins and nuts covered with chocolate and the chocolate eclair. Both were amazing 🤤 the quality of their ingredients is top classic. I bet all their offerings taste equally good.
Gigi — Google review
The oldest pastry shop in Paris. What they do is classic but excecuted perfectly. You can taste the sugar and butter properly. Love it. A muat visit when in Paris. Would be great to have a place to sit but not a deal breaker.
Alex G — Google review
Do you prefer modern or classic pastries 🧁? I personally find it hard to choose... But it's true that I love traditions and traditional cuisine in particular. So when I got the opportunity to visit the oldest pastry shop in Paris, I couldn't say no. And when on the top of it, this pastry shop was created by the person who invented the world famous baba au rhum, and baba au rhum was my grandmother's favorite dessert, that shop quickly became THE place I wanted to visit in Paris. 🤩 Who cares about the Eiffel tower, the Champs Elysées or Notre-Dame when you can go to Stohrer?! OK, I'll tell the truth 😇: I've visited Paris so many times that I think I've pretty much seen it all, but I had never been to Stohrer. That helps shifting priorities. 😉 At home, I'm the only one who likes baba, so the rest of the family had other items that I couldn't try because my baba was so huge. They looked good though and my family enjoyed them. 👍 About my baba, I did like it but I must confess I was kinda disappointed. First off, it was too big and I had lunch not so long before. But even without that, I think I'd like it better smaller. The more isn't always the merrier. 🤷 Also, it's a matter of taste but I prefer when the syrup is sweeter and less alcoholic. In fact, I've realized that I prefer Neapolitan baba (sweeter for what I've experienced) to French baba. To my Italian friends, that does NOT mean that Italians invented baba. Baba is a Polish pastry modified (enhanced, if you prefer) by a French pastry chef then exported to Naples where it became extremely popular. 🙌 Back again to my baba, I enjoyed it but I don't dream about it. Yet, I wouldn't mind going back to Stohrer and trying other things 😋 (and / or the baba again 😜). I almost forgot: as opposed to other places in Paris, I didn't find Stohrer extremely expensive. In fact, less than €6 for that huge (historical) baba seemed quite fair. 👏 . . . Quality & taste: 8/10 Quantities: 10/10 Atmosphere: n/a Originality: 10/10 Ratio price / quality: 9/10 Service: 9/10 How I felt afterwards: 9/10

Pastry shop
Boulangerie Utopie, a beloved neighborhood bakery, was established by two former Maison Laduree pastry chefs and has been at the forefront of the artisanal baking movement for the past decade. The bakery is renowned for its diverse offerings, including eye-catching activated-charcoal baguettes, black sesame rolls, and innovative croissants in chocolate and almond varieties. Their unique sourdough croissant made with tangy Montagu butter sets them apart from traditional pastries.
Utopie lived up to the hype for us. We really enjoyed the baguette, apple turnover, and almond croissant. The croissant was just good compared to the rest. The baguette was very crunchy and soft on the inside with a fragrant sourdough smell that not all places have. It definitely makes it more flavorful. The apple turnover was very crunchy as well with fresh apples inside. Almond croissant had a very nice texture with the paste. They really know how to make things crunchy here. Would definitely recommend if in Paris and the earlier you go in the morning the better. The prices are also very reasonable!
James — Google review
One of the best boulangerie I’ve ever been to. As a sesamephile and yuzu lover, this place brought together three loves: pastry, sesame, and citrus. The yuzu sesame flan was sublime. Flan was not too sweet, had good black sesame depth, and yuzu was perfectly present. I had croissant as a litmus test and comp to other bakeries: 10 outta 10. Staff is friendly and let me order in terrible French. Coffee is okay but you’re not here for that.
Kevin U — Google review
good but not amazingly good, the apple turnover was too heavy with not much of the fillings, croissant was good, but the outside can be more crispy, and sesame roll is a bit sweet for me, and lack of sesame flavor, the baguette was with a sour flavor. there was a line but moved fast.
Alex S — Google review
I went here because of social media. There was a bit of a line and a wait around 1 pm on a Sunday. I ordered the apricot pastry, which was good. Very flaky. Because of the line, I really didn't have time to browse and make a proper selection. The bakery was rather small and no place to sit, that is saw. There is no outdoor seating. I would return if in the area.
Sharon O — Google review
We visited Boulangerie Utopie a few times while in Paris in an attempt to try the black sesame roll. We went at 10:45 AM during our first visit on a Tuesday and they were sold out. We got to try a lot of items due to the multiple visits. We went around 7:30 AM on our other visits and the bakery cases were full and most of the pastries we got were still warm. Note that they don't serve sandwiches in the morning. Apple turnover - really flakey and full of apples. Be prepared for crumbs. Croissant - good all butter croissant Pain Au Chocolat - good pain au chocolat Sesame Roll - great for black sesame lovers Cinnamon Roll - wasn't bad but wouldn't need to get this again Pain Suisse - good Almond Pistachio Croissant - good Fig Tart - really pretty but the fig flavor was mild Pecan Dome - good Mini Black Sesame Madelines - skip, not a super strong black sesame flavor and a bit dry
Vivian A — Google review
I was on the hunt for the best croissant in Paris, and not only did I find it, I also found the best baguette. But the word is out — there was a line behind me twelve or thirteen deep. Had adorable Halloween croissants, too.
Sarah F — Google review
Best croissant in Paris IMO. Croissant with the right amount of flakiness, buttery yet not overly so, not doughy yet retaining that right amount of breadiness. Tried a few famous bakeries known for their croissants and Utopie was my favorite hands-down. A croissant only cost about 1.7 euros (or something around that). In comparison, another famous bakery not too far away was charging 3.8 euros per croissant (and that one was tasteless ironically).
Amy K — Google review
One of the best bakeries in Paris! Fresh, high-quality pastries, standard prices, and very little waiting time. Highly recommended for breakfast or a sweet break during the day.

Patisserie
La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac is a renowned establishment led by the well-known chef Cyril Lignac, who has made a name for himself through TV shows and cookbooks. This patisserie offers a wide range of delectable desserts created in collaboration with pastry chef Benoit Couvrand. The signature dessert, Equinoxe, is an innovative creation featuring Bourbon vanilla cream, salted caramel, and crispy speculoos.
Amazing tartes and breads, visually appealing store and super nice service. It's hard to choose among the beautiful tartes and desserts but the Entremets Cerise was artfully done and delicious the olive bread also very tasty.
Naomi R — Google review
Omg! The croissants, pains au chocolat and pains au raisin are heavenly! Also bought the lemon tarts/cake for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was so good!!! Best patisserie in the neighbourhood!
Anthi V — Google review
I love the pastries here equinoxe is my favorite. A little pricey but they’re the best pastries I’ve had while in Paris!
Olivia F — Google review
My daughter's friend found this place near the hotel Elysees Union where we stayed for our trip in Paris. The pastries here are extremely tasty and the crusts are excellent. We had mostly croissants, chocolate and custard filled pastries. We had them practically every morning. The prices are quite reasonable.
3dogs1monkey — Google review
I tried the chausson aux pommes after reading other reviews. The pastry was flaky and appetizing but the filling was puree which I didn’t prefer as I don’t like the texture of apple sauce.
V F — Google review
La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac exceeded all expectations during our visit! 🍰 From the delectable Le Tigre to the flaky croissant, indulgent chocolatine, and irresistible madeleine, every pastry we sampled was simply divine. 😍 It's no wonder this establishment boasts such high ratings – the quality and taste are truly exceptional! 🌟 Whether you're a local or a visitor, a trip to La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac is an absolute must for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Rina F — Google review
This place has a very very good croissant, one of the best in Paris!!! I visited this place two years after watching a video from Alex The French Guy on YouTube, really good video of Paris’ best croissants! Not only was the croissant but excellent, you must also try “Le Tigre” pastry, it was absolutely delicious!!!!
Cesar A — Google review
I had seen many reviews for this Pâtisserie and was a little skeptical thinking if it's just a hype. But definitely not! It maybe a little expensive considered to other places but it is a must try! Staff was also very friendly and explained the flavours of the cakes on display. I bought a cake for 6, which was their signature, must try cake and yes it was delicious! I was too tempted to try out the other mini versions as well and they were all really tasty. Must try in Paris! 👍

Tea house
Pierre Hermé is renowned for his exquisite pastries, particularly his macarons and viennoiseries. His croissant, inspired by the Ispahan macaroon, features a buttery base with a rosewater glaze, raspberry flakes, and fillings of raspberry and lychee jelly along with rose-scented almond paste.
This little shop is a great place to stop by to get the famous macarons of Pierre Herme. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and speaks excellent English. You can get your macarons in a pretty metal box which is a nice memory for a tourist, and I must say they really are delicious. I also liked it how the macarons come with a flyer listing all the variants the Pierre Herme shops have, so that you can easily check which macarons your collection happened to have. Probably you wouldn’t otherwise remember it, so save the flyer! Maybe the price of the macarons is somewhat higher than in an average bakery, but in fact I was surprised how the prices were actually not even nearly as high as expected. The 4-piece package cost between 14 and 15 euros, which is not super much higher than what the average macarons would cost.
I F — Google review
Single macaron € 2.9 I chose praline pistachio and the lovely staff recommended rose flavor one so I tried those two macarons. I usually don’t like desserts with flower scents but rose flavored macaron was so much better than I expected:) It didn’t smell like artificial things. I could see why she told me this one is their most famous one! And pistachio one was another level. If you like pistachio or other kinds of nuts, must try it! + the staff was extremely kind so even if I couldn’t speak French I’ve never gotten in trouble in making an ordering🥹❤️ Thank you so much!
Nikki S — Google review
The macaroons were lovely. I recommend the apricot, which is a seasonal flavor and Jardon which is one of their famous flavors. I would give five stars but they closed earlier than the time listed online which was disappointing
Gabi B — Google review
Our group each got one macaron to try first so we could taste the flavours before deciding what to buy. The macarons themselves were delicious, and one asian staff member who helped us was very friendly. However, another worker seemed to laugh at us for only getting one macaron each, making a comment to her coworker, which felt unnecessary and a bit condescending. It made the experience uncomfortable, even though two people in our group (who were served by the friendlier worker) still ended up purchasing boxes. A shame, as the macarons were genuinely great.
Elodie L — Google review
Exquisite desserts- the hazelnut mille feuille was outstanding. Macaroons are excellent, we had rose and bergamot and caramel butter. It is a must try if you’re in Paris. Beautifully presented as take aways and gifts.
Su S — Google review
Finished my dinner and had a desire for macaroon. Although i was pretty fill up with food, the craving for just one macaroon got the better of me. Google and found this place. Bought chololcate and passion fruit as per recommendation ( i think it is called Mogador), and brought it back to the hotel to savour with some wine. It is good. I will buy again, in larger quantity, if timing permits.
Ash L — Google review
Very poor service to foreigners. We first came in and picked out a few macarons and chocolate for takeaway and the cashier lady re-confirmed :”That’s it?!” We were not happy but I have decided to try their pistachio panettone on my way out since we have traveled far to come here. The panettone cost $35 and it was so dense and tasted just like an ordinary orange blossom brioche. Apart from their macarons, I don’t recommend anything else.
Piyu P — Google review
Without a doubt, this was one of the most perfect desserts I've ever had. It was perfectly balanced, and the vanilla flavor was outstanding. I could definitely eat another one. And I'd love to try something else, too! They have croissants, macarons, and there were even some jarred fruit spreads. Yum! This place is so divine. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in!

Boulangerie Chambelland is a gluten-free bakery in Paris that offers a wide range of breads, biscuits, cakes, and pastries made with naturally gluten-free flours like rice. The bakers and pastry makers have created exclusive recipes that are both eye-catching and tempting. Visitors praise the wholesome, organic ingredients used in their products, which make the food feel light and nourishing while being delicious.
Years ago, I bought a book about gluten-free baking and discovered that it belonged to a bakery in Paris—so when we visited the city, we had to go there for breakfast! Choosing what to order was nearly impossible because I wanted to try everything. So, we did the best thing—we had some pastries, tea and coffee there and took more to go. Everything was amazing and super delicious. Whether you're gluten-free or not, you’ll love this place—the baked goods are so light and flavorful that you feel great after eating them. This bakery is a must-visit, and we will definitely be coming back again!

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect flan — crusty on the edges with a soft, silky heart — when I came across this gluten-free patisserie in the north of Paris. I wasn’t disappointed, but I can’t say I was fully won over either. The flavor was genuinely good — rich and satisfying — but a few details left me wanting more. I was expecting a firmer texture but the flan turned out a bit too soft for my taste. That said, this is by no means a bad flan. It’s definitely worth checking out, especially for gluten-free dessert lovers. Just not the one I was searching for. Onward with the quest!

I bought a la marquise de popincourt tart, sesame focaccia, a plain pain de sucre, and a chocolate orange pain de sucre, and they are all incredible. Not even just for gluten-free bakes; it's all moreish and delicious and I wish I'd bought even more than I did. It was a little out of the way, but I'm so glad I made the effort to go. The prices are also reasonable and allergens are all listed on the labels. Stunning little place.

Chambelland Batignolles is the perfect place for a high-quality gluten-free breakfast. Éclairs, tarts, cookies, and focaccias: every specialty has the authentic taste of French tradition, reimagined with mastery and excellent ingredients. Seeing my daughter enjoy the typical delights of French pastry, finally in a gluten-free version, is simply priceless! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to start the day with a unique experience that delights not only those with celiac disease but anyone who loves true artisanal excellence.

Fabulous find within Paris!! Two locations make this a convenient stop for anyone gluten free. Quiche is awesome - great for breakfast or lunch. Items go quickly, so be sure to get to either location early. Love, love, love the vanilla eclair, too!!

Nice and cosy place. Only one table to sit inside. Not so many positions to choose from, but everything is gluten free and tastes much better than anything in Copain

This is a must stop in Paris if you're gluten-free! We go here every time we visit and can't wait to come back. The best part is the wholesome, organic ingredients they use - the food feels light and nourishing and SO delicious. They highlight the ingredients for what they are and don't use a bunch of filler and junk to try to make it taste like the 'wheat equivalent'. They've created their own brand of deliciousness and are worth a few trips while you're in the city. We have eaten gluten-free all over the US and Europe and Chambelland IS THE BEST for taste and how it feels in your body. The staff is always friendly, warm, and welcoming. Thanks for opening a second location!

Pâtisserie Carl Marletti is a renowned pastry shop named after its owner, a distinguished gourmet dessert chef. The establishment prides itself on exquisite presentation, precise craftsmanship, and exceptional flavors. What sets it apart is the incorporation of scents into traditional pastries as a tribute to Marletti's florist partner. The signature Lily Valley cake, infused with violet scent, and the award-winning Lemon Tart are just some of the highlights.
I don’t want to tell anyone about this bakery and would prefer to keep it my hidden gem. I came in to purchase one dessert for myself and after devouring it, I went back to pick up other treats for my family! Half of their stock was already gone within that time. If you aren’t a fan of something too sugary, the chantilly nougatine is a must try. It’s very light but the flavours are so well balanced. The cream on top is refreshing and it’s my new favourite dessert. They packaged the desserts very well and they came out of the box without a scratch after being in subways and a busy bus. The associates were very kind and even packaged one of my desserts separately so it wouldn’t tumble on the others. Can’t wait to return! The only con I can see for others is the price point. For the box I purchased (5 items) was around 44 euros.

I love this bakery with all my heart ❤️ I go there every chance I get. All the small desserts are amazing, from the big cakes I love the white raspberry cake 🎂 I've been getting it for years. Definitely recommend trying some of their sweets!! Just grab one dessert and sit in the nearby cafe with coffee, it's the best! Or park just across the pâtisserie BUT I DON’T recommend ordering additional drawings on the cake 😂🥲 Don't get me wrong - I appreciate the work and effort that might go into this, but I had slightly different expectations. Below I've attached a picture of what I ordered and what I got. Not bad, but yeah, haha. However the cake was delicious!! 🤤

We were strongly recommended this pâtisserie by a local shop owner in the Montmare area. So of course we HAD to try it. The deserts are amazing! They look unreal and taste even better. The strawberry macarons were drool worthy and obviously freshly made there in the shop. Would 100% recommend a visit here if you’re in or close to the neighborhood!!

A local favorite recommended by residents. Everything looks beautiful, and I chose the éclair, which was visually stunning — I didn’t even know where to start! The cream was smooth and not too sweet, truly a blissful treat.

We were experiencing serendipity to get to this place being pastry lover. We were in the area and attracted to buy pastries from Carl Marletti because of the long queue. My favourite is the Belle-Helene tart. OMG! It might be the best pastry I have tried in my life. Such a complexity of flavours: the chocolate almond cream and poached pear create amazingly tasty contrast in fruity and sweet tastes. We tried the Feather that was also great and the caramel eclair. They didn't had everything because it was December 31st. But it worth going back to Paris to enjoy these amazing original pastries. I will get huge box of pastries next time! If you are visiting Paris definitely worth going here. Thank you for providing such a great pleasure!

Poilâne is a small bakery in Paris known for its meticulous artisanal process, from pastry-making to baking. Their flagship product, the miche, is a substantial sourdough loaf with a robust crust and dense crumb. Despite language barriers, the friendly staff offers reasonable prices and delicious baked goods. Visitors are greeted by the enchanting scent of freshly baked pastries and a charming ambiance that transports them straight to the heart of Paris.
This is probably my most visited boulangerie in Paris and, in my opinion, rightfully so. They have a small selection of pastries to choose from and a few are showcasing apples. I've had the apple tart several times and it is my favourite classic I've tried. This time I tried the chausson aux pommes which wasn't as good bit in no way bad. Smooth and a bit sour apple puree inside a flaky and buttery shortcrust pastry which is as light as a cloud and just melts in your mouth. I think I could of had 3 of these because they're so moreish and not heavy at all.
Amelia R — Google review
Came here because of the good reviews in search for the best baked goods in Paris. Took a chance on the chausson sale which was delicious, buttery pastry, well-seasoned potatoes with lots of herbs and spices. Also got their unique chocolate savoir-faire, which was a very nice cookie with a snap and a balanced chocolate slab inside. Would love to come back to try more of their creations!
Sarah B — Google review
The Tartelette Aux Pommes (Apple Tart) was awesome and delicious. Would definitely recommend if you craving for a good apple tart. Sable Fourre (Biscuit with Chocolate Filling) was a good biscuit with dark chocolate filling. Bonhomme Pain D’Epices (Gingerbread Man) was interesting. It was an actual ginger bread instead of ginger cookie. The ginger bread was okay overall but prefer the ginger cookie style :)

We were very happy going to Poilane. We usually order loaves by FedEx for special occasions, so it was a treat to visit a physical location. Our French is terrible but the staff was cordial and we were able to communicate reasonably well.

Small little bakery with amazing food. Open early with very friendly staff, even though we spoke no French. They did understand some basic English words, enough for us to describe and ask what some things are. For where it is located, we found the price very reasonable, see the picture below for what we got for under 15€ (3 of each and ¼ of a large sourdough). If you are in the area, I would recommend having a look, or picking something up on the way to the Tower to eat.

Ritz Paris Le Comptoir is a chic hotel bakery known for its exquisite pastries and specialties like tarts and Madeleine fondant hearts. Guests can enjoy a stylish breakfast under the Belle Epoque glass roof or on the terrace of Bar Vendo, with options ranging from Vendo breakfast to à la carte choices like eggs Benedict, avocado slices, exotic fruit platter, and French toast.
The croissant is exceptional, the coffee is perfect and the madeleines are extraordinary. If you want that feeling of awe when you bite into a french pastry, you need to visit here. The croissant looks like a long tube, but it makes the flavour even better than regular croissants. Authentic and creative, and carrying on its culinary heritage with grace.

Stopped into Le Comptoir Bakery after brunch and decided to dine in for the full experience, even with a 20-minute wait. The display case was stunning, and we tried the recommended Millefeuille To Go and the Fig Tray. Both were beautifully made, balanced in sweetness, not overly sugary, which we both appreciated. My wife paired hers with tea while I had an espresso; everything was top quality. The staff were very friendly, the shop is clean and charming, though the entrance requires walking around Place Vendôme since there’s no direct access from the Ritz. The craftsmanship was clear, though the flavors didn’t stand out as much as expected. I look forward to trying a few more of their pastries before deciding if the experience truly warrants a five-star rating. Overall, it was a nice stop for refined pastries, worth enjoying onsite when time allows or taking away if the line is long.

Beautiful looking shop. I came for a couple of madelines take away. The strawberry one was good, but to be honest, nothing exceptional and could have had more moist in it. The lemon one was on another game though. It was so moist, sugary and really strong lemon flavour. It was excellent!!
Nuria Y — Google review
The location is, unfortunately, overrated. We waited almost an hour just to get a table, and once seated (we were four people), the tables turned out to be very small — barely enough space for the desserts and drinks. It felt uncomfortable and made the service awkward. Desserts are served on a piece of cardboard, left on a tray, just like in a fast-food place — completely out of place for a venue carrying the name “Ritz.” The food itself was decent, but it doesn’t justify the prices or the effort of waiting that long. When you hear “Ritz,” you expect elegance, refinement, and flawless service — unfortunately, our experience was far from that. The atmosphere felt more like a neighborhood café, yet with Ritz-level prices. A pity for the time lost.
MTS — Google review
Non-traditional take on croissant by Ritz. In general, star properties make the pastries look good, but they get the flavor and texture completely wrong. Ritz breaks that trend. This has to be one of the best croissants I ever had in France. Dont miss their chocolate croissant as well. It will give the best Pain au Chocolats of Paris a run for their money :)
Suresh K — Google review
Super place in heart of Paris, I've felt like in sweet paradise. The taste of the Madeleine was perfect and the tart is wow unbelievable. The price of the Madeleines is super high, but believe me it's worth it. I'm a visitor from Lebanon where excellent sweets are provided, but if you want to try the French sweets you have to pay a visit to this wonderful place.
Dr. C — Google review
I ordered two sandwiches to take away and enjoy at the park: one with chicken and the other a classic ham and cheese. I preferred the ham and cheese one — the puff pastry was perfectly crispy and golden, really tasty. The chicken sandwich was good too, but the filling’s moisture made the pastry softer and less fragrant. I also tried the madeleines, but they didn’t quite win me over — a bit too hard and not as soft as expected. I tasted all five from the package, but unfortunately, none really stood out.

Ommmgggggg. The bakery is just 100000/10. I had the madeleine cake was crunchy and melted immediately I never thought Madelines would taste this good!!!!! The Millefeuille was worth the try also crunchy and tasted luxurious 🤝🏻🤍 I’m coming back to try more inshallah. 🤌🏻❤️❤️❤️

The flan a la vanille & choux a la flouve were perfectly suited to my taste! The flan was creamy with a hint of sweetness and vanilla aroma. The choux cream was similar and not to sweet while the choux had a cinnamon (I think?) flavor. I’m already dying to go back and will be sad when I leave Paris.

this is without a doubt the best place to find a perfect pastry - maybe in the world? no seating but a nice park to sit by the church nearby. service is good. you can watch the bakers make the pastries which is cool. if bakeries are religion to you, this is your mecca. had a holy experience with an apricot tart. kind of on the expensive side tho. rightly so, seems like they use high quality ingredients.

A friend handcarried back the CAKE MARBRÉ COCO CHOCOLAT AU LAIT. It’s so good I am getting every friend who passes by Paris to help me pick one up. It’s been a week since we kept the cake after she returned and I just had a slice - the combination of Amande, coconut and chocolate is simply divine. This bakery is a regular stop for me whenever I'm in town. This particular location (they have a few) is convenient and has a pleasant atmosphere – it's not usually too crowded or difficult to access, which makes it good for a weekend visit. You can check out the display before picking from a range of classic and modern pastries, like croissants, bostock, flans, and various mini cakes and tarts. They show skill with subtle but unique flavours and interesting textures in each bite. Grab a pastry and tart and find a spot at one of the counters along the windows. One relevant thing for 2025 though is that their bid to be eco friendly results in a disastrous cardboard spoon which isn't really effective at anything, so be sure to grab at least the flimsy wooden fork to cut through any tarts and cakes.

Amazing pastries and entremets! Their Paris-Brest is one of the best I've ever had, but other items do not disappoint. You can dine in, they offer coffee and other drinks to enjoy with your pastries. The vibe is welcoming and relaxed, which is not always the case at fine patisseries such as this.

I really liked this little boulangerie in Paris. The pastries were fresh and tasty—I had a croissant aux amandes and a chausson aux pommes, and both were really good without being too sweet. There’s also a small counter by the window where you can sit with a café and get some work done or just relax for a bit. It’s a quiet, comfortable spot that’s nice if you’re looking for a break during the day. Overall, a solid place for good pastries and a chill atmosphere.

Wow! The Paris Brest is something out of this world! I know it their best seller and it famous all around the world for it! It was also the only thing I took this time but I must come back to try other things as well. I think the photos speak for themselves. We went to pick the pastry. Despite pointing out the fact the icing was "running away", we were advised (saleswoman) to put it back in the fridge to bring it back to shape. Indeed the shape is interesting per se. As for the taste, well ... It tastes as it looks! Great brand, great advice, great pastry and surely a greater price for what it worth!

Yann Couvreur’s neighbourhood pâtisserie. The design is modern and fresh, with a chevron wood façade and one long case filled with pastries. A counter with bar stools runs the length of the window for guests to eat-in. The Tiffany-blue and gold fox-adorned packaging is just as adorable as the pastries within.

This is the best pastry shop in Paris. All of the pastries I tried were perfect, not too sweet, not heavy. The staff is outstanding in every location (we visited all three of them.... more than once...;) After eating here, we ended up just going back because pastries in other places were just too sweet and heavy. Atmosphere is chill and cozy. Definitely try the flan, pear and almond tart, kouign amann, and croissant (everything else is lovely as well, I just kept going back to these).

Really really good bakery run by pastry chef propriétaire Claire Damon and her business partner , producing a very tasty seeded sourdough organic bread (500g) wich I highly recommande . She is also making tasty rhubarb turn over (chausson à la rhubarb) . Also very interesting « Lemon gâteau basque » for the lovers of butter.

The chocolate bread is very good, price: 2.1€ when you bite it you feel soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, and the chocolate flavor is fanstatic. you can feel the taste of butter on your lips. I simply love it, however I could not say it is the best in all of paris, I will keep trying, and the price is higher compared to other bakeries. The service is very good, the lady who attended me, spoke english. They accept credit cards and I think there is no minimum purchase. Disadvantage: they don't have tables to eat bread, and they don't have much stock of bread, they don't serve drinks either.

The galette des roi really amaze me The puff pastry is delicate like snowflakes but it won’t make a mess. The taste is very light, the puff pastry is a bit To my surprise, all the puff layers are well baked, bc I had so many galette which the inner part are undercooked. Overall, the price is very high(7€ for a slice) for the flavor

I recently had the pleasure of sampling some cakes at Des gâteaux et du pain and I must say, they were some of the best I've ever tasted. The cakes were delicate, yet complex in flavour, and truly memorable. Each bite was a decadent experience that left me wanting more. The textures were perfectly balanced, with the cakes being both soft and moist. The flavours were complex, with each ingredient complementing the other.

One of the Best pain du Chocolate in town! Price is definitely not cheap comparing to the average bakery in town but it worth it (at least the pain du Chocolate) And this is the first thing they sold out everyday - after 10am, it is really based on luck. I got the freshly baked butter croissant couple of times, and it is even better!!! Have to admit I am not a big fan of their cookies - expensive and taste average (€20+ for less than 200g)
Chris Z — Google review
Heavenly pastries. Yes it may be expensive but worth every penny for those who appreciate the art and the taste! Many of their pastries are “one of a kind” good. The one topped with mango , the pamplemousse, the Kashmir … been every day of every single visit to Paris and just can’t get enough. Cons: they can be/act a tiny bit snobby, I wish they weren’t of course, and maybe they realize one day that humility makes their art more precious. That said, it’s not as difficult to tolerate a bit of a snob if it’s coming from the best in the art!

First off, why can't you take photos of your store? What an odd start to shopping at your store. Secondly, I found your staff standoffish. Thirdly, the desserts were all so bland. How is that even possible. Very disappointing. I just came from Rennes and had The Best Tarts from Pâtisserie Le Daniel & Maison Bouvier! Actually, I also had a delicious tart from a small place here in Paris called Les Gourmandes à Paris. Do check out these places.

Ladurée is an upscale bakery with Parisian roots, renowned for its exquisite French macarons available in a variety of flavors. The brand gained widespread recognition after featuring in the 2006 film Marie Antoinette, where actress Kirsten Dunst indulged in their macarons. Known for their signature pastel-colored macarons, Ladurée has recently shifted focus under the leadership of pastry chef Claire Heitzler towards prioritizing quality ingredients and seasonal variations.
Visiting Ladurée Champs-Élysées is truly a magical Parisian experience. Located on the world’s most iconic avenue, this elegant tea room combines French luxury, history, and indulgence all in one place. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a refined décor that perfectly blends tradition with Parisian chic. The staff is attentive, professional, and always ready with great recommendations, whether it’s for their world-famous macarons or the signature pastries. The macarons are, of course, the highlight—delicate, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavor. Pairing them with a pot of their fragrant tea or a rich hot chocolate makes for an unforgettable treat. Their brunch and dessert menus are also excellent, offering a wide selection of French classics prepared with finesse. Whether you sit inside their beautifully decorated salon or outside with a view of the Champs-Élysées, the atmosphere is simply enchanting. It’s more than just a café—it’s a true Parisian institution where every visit feels special.

A Glimmer of Parisian Grandeur on the Champs-Élysées Amidst the bustle of the Champs-Élysées, Ladurée’s flagship salon offers a serene retreat, a pastel jewel box that feels indulgently Parisian. While the avenue brims with global commerce, stepping inside transports you to a world of elegance and charm. The recent renovations have enhanced its timeless appeal, blending Belle Époque sophistication with modern comfort. The ornate interiors now feel warmer and more inviting, perfect for afternoon tea or a leisurely lunch. Of course, the stars are the macarons. Each delicate bite — whether the floral rose or the indulgent salted caramel — balances crispness with tender sweetness, a hallmark of Ladurée’s craft. The pastries are no less impressive, miniature works of art that delight both the eyes and the palate. Though often labeled a tourist pilgrimage, the attentive service and consistently superb quality elevate the experience well beyond cliché. Ladurée remains a place to savor not just French patisserie, but a touch of Parisian perfection, right on the world’s most famous avenue.

Ladurée is a truly enchanting Parisian café. We tried their macarons and coffee here, but the experience goes far beyond that, the atmosphere itself is captivating. The setting is elegant and charming, and the macarons are absolutely delicious. To be honest, I’ve had macarons of similar quality in Türkiye as well, but the ambiance here makes everything feel more special and refined. Places like this are not just about taste- the whole experience comes together as one. It’s definitely a spot that deserves a place on your Paris list.

Very nice place, very cute french vibes. They have a restaurant, we didnt eat there. Its expensive. On the side door you can stand in line for the macrons. They use jam and not frosting, they were the best you will ever try most likely. Worth it to try. They have probably about a dozen or so flavors. You get a nice box with your purchase. They serve hot drinks and other sweets we didnt try them.

I honestly expected this place to be a big tourist trap, but the truth is I really loved it. Yes, we had to wait in line to be seated, but it was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious – we ordered avocado toast, a burrata salad, a cocktail, and hot chocolates. Everything was beautifully prepared, and the hot chocolates were simply incredible! The service was excellent as well – attentive, professional, and very welcoming, which made the experience even better. To top it all off, we picked up some macarons at the end to take home as gifts, and they were delightful. Overall, it turned out to be a wonderful experience, much better than I had anticipated. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

Lauderee Paris is a MUST if you are visiting "The City of Lights" I highly reccomend the tea expérience, and their hot chocolate ! I was stunned at how delicous the Chocolat Chaud was! It was even better than "Angelina's" steaming beverage! Make certain to make réservations first, they do get quite busy. The staff is all very friendly and the atmosphère and ambiance are phénoménal. A small slice of Heaven on Earth!
Elisa C — Google review
Visited Ladurée because of the hype and to finally try their famous macarons. The interior was absolutely beautiful—very elegant and aesthetic, which definitely adds to the experience. We expected a long wait, and it was indeed quite a while. Unfortunately, the coffee was below basic, and the macarons were just okay. I’ve definitely had better elsewhere. What disappointed us the most was the service. The staff were quite unfriendly. We asked for a table upstairs and were told there were none available, but after, we walked upstairs and found that half the space was empty and not reserved. Overall, it’s a pretty place but the service and quality didn’t quite live up to the hype.

The patisserie Bontemps La Pâtisserie is a light and airy cafe that serves elegant gateaux, sablé cookies, and savory snacks. It's perfect for Instagram-worthy desserts with its beautiful exterior and delicious pastries. The owners are knowledgeable about English-speaking customers, so don't hesitate to ask them for recommendations!
I discovered this place on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. It’s an unusual and charming spot that offers a brunch menu à la carte rather than a buffet, which is a nice change from the usual brunch experience. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a laid-back meal. Located in the lively République neighborhood, it’s a great option for those looking for a casual yet enjoyable brunch. A hidden gem without any pretension!

Through a charming courtyard that’s is straight out of sleeping beauty (according to my 4 year old) you find this tea room which is totally charming. The surprise plate was so yummy and the teas (mine was 8€) are really lovely. The service is lovely and with a smile and they even gave us paper and markers when we asked for my daughter. So nice! Such a nice experience. Thank you!

Beautiful salon de thé with lovely setting and friendly staff. Had the Paris le splendour which taste amazing with pistachio plus strawberry with a crunchy base. The cold tea is also nice. There is a lovely garden outside. Great place to spend an afternoon.

Came here for post lunch dessert; an essential part of any meal. Lovely staff and beautiful, delicious desserts. Really appreciate the seasonal ingredients used in this “Rosa”. Ordered it based on staff recommendations and have no regrets. Also had a rich and flawless chocolat chaud. You have a choice of sitting outside on a breezy terrace or inside where the decor is lovely. Would recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!

Great service, efficient communication, friendly staff and magical space. We were provided excellent customer service. All responses were prompt and professional. The food was very good and tasty. Coffee was normal. The prices are expensive. 12€ for a lemon cake while you can take it as take away for 4€… find this a bit absurde. But the atmosphere is incredible and the staff very lovely.

Fell in love with this magical place. The atmosphere is so pleasant and cosy. The food was truly tasty, generous.. (maybe a bit lukewarm) The gnocchis and the lamb are delicous! The staff is attentive and professionnal Loved the experience and will surely come back.

I want to give a huge thanks to Diane. She highlighted my 30th birthday by being such a great advisor and attentive salles women. I called her 3 times and every time she was taking care of my order with great pleasure and professionalism, I have rarely seen that. The cakes were also beautiful, delicate and tasty. Merci encore pour tout Diane, je vais continuer à vous recommander! Louise ❤️

The cakes are all wonderful and the price is very high. I bought 2 cakes including berries. The cakes are as good as other famous pattiseries. The brand name is high. I might come back when I have to take some high brand cakes to somebody. For myself I go to the other pattiseries. I want to try their viennoiseries like brioche, croissants. And financiers.

We had a pablova. Wonderful balance of sweet and sour. Red leaves were excellent. Chocolate cake was a bit heavy but the mousse was of high quality. Great financiers, cookies and marshmallow. The fruit flavors filled chocolate were ok. We had better.

Was told to try their financiers. Sweet, buttery, moist, but not light. Almond flavor isn't at all obvious. Idk if it's worth paying almost 10€ for 4 financiers... magic didn't happen.

Patisserie
Aux Merveilleux de Fred is a French patisserie renowned for its signature creation, the Merveilleux. This delightful dessert features a meringue dome filled with luscious chocolate whipped cream and adorned with dark chocolate shavings. Visitors can observe skilled bakers crafting these treats on-site. In addition to the Merveilleux, the bakery offers freshly baked cramiques, brioches infused with chocolate chips.
This is an incredible bakery offering unique and delicious treats at excellent, affordable prices. The highlight of the place is the brioche, especially the chocolate brioche. If you’re lucky enough to get it fresh and warm straight from the oven, it’s an unforgettable experience.
Lidor B — Google review
Omg. We ran into this place by pure accident after lunch. We were stuffed from lunch, we even had dessert, but we had a third stomach to wolf down the treats from this place. What a gem with great chocolate chip brioche and meringue fluffy bite sized dessert. We are still dreaming of this and will go back tomorrow for breakfast to eat on the street. I will post more pictures tomorrow. We devoured the food before taking pictures.
Jeanne Y — Google review
Visited this place twice during my stay in Paris. I tried the meringue chocolate and it was the perfect dessert, totally enjoyable. Second time tried the chocolate bread which they call "Cranique" I think or something close and this is a great pastry with moist tasty chocolates. They have also with raisins. It's very big though and can be easily shared between two persons. They have multiple branches across Paris, so check which is within your itinerary and go for it.
Safaa T — Google review
A truly great bakery experience! One of the highlights is being able to watch the team prepare the fresh brioches right in front of you — it adds a special touch to the visit. Whatever you do, don’t miss the large sugar brioche while it’s still warm — it’s an absolute WOW. Soft, slightly crisp on the outside, and perfectly sweet. Pure heaven. A must-visit spot for pastry lovers in Paris!

During our recent travels in Europe, we passed by countless bakeries—but none had an aroma quite like this one. The irresistible smell just pulled us in. We decided to share a raisin brioche, and after the first bite, there was no turning back! It would have been perfect with a cup of coffee, but I couldn’t wait—I started eating it the moment we stepped outside!

I stumbled upon this charming bakery on my way to do some shopping in the Le Marais area, and I couldn’t resist stepping inside. Everything is made fresh in-store—the brioche buns and pastries looked absolutely irresistible. I tried one, and oh my goodness, it was delicious! Mamiche is a renowned traditional bakery located in SoPi and the 10th arrondissement of Paris. The bakery is famous for its artisanal breads, cookies, pastries, and sandwiches. It's known for its long lines where customers eagerly wait to get their hands on shiny brioche buns, chocolate-scented babka, and pillowy croissants.
We have tried the almond croissant and the cookie, which was really tasty. But when we went there for especially trying their famous “babka”, they said the Owen was broken so going to update my review once I taste it; stay tuned! But, anyways, it’s a nice bakery🥰

This bakery is definitely worth the hype it gets! There is always a queue but the service is very fast so it’s worth the wait. The pain au chocolat and the chocolate filled donut were the highlights. The only con is the pastries weren’t warm so therefore it’s a 4/5. But it’s a great place to start your trip in Paris 😍 I didn’t get the chance to try the sandwiches but they looked amazing too. Amazing prices as well, we paid €11 for 4 pastries!

One of my favorite boulangeries in Paris! Their brioche is truly some of the best I’ve had ,and the choux à la vanille, which is exceptional. And the beignets au chocolat? Absolutely my favorite. A must-visit for pastry lovers!

This was the first place we went to in paris after dropping out bags off, and it did not disappoint! There was a queue going down the street at 10:00, but queue moved fairly fast. once inside, you’re greeted with the smell of pastry and butter! Would recommend the ham and cheese pastry and the almond croissiant. Bees also will greet you upon entry! Worth a visit if nearby!

This is one of the best boulangerie in Paris! The pastries are great! Tries many of those: the cream filled pastry, the ham and cheese sandwich, banka. Specifically- the vanilla cream filled pastry is by far one of the best (and in great price!). Must try!

Nice bakery in Paris! I wanna buy everything! Come early in the morning so you get the breads really fresh! Location: It is located around 45 Rue Condorcet. It’s just a bakery with no seating inside. Great display of breads and pastries! You would want to buy everything. I came early and there was no line. Service: not much interaction, just pay and go. Food: Everything was good and fresh! CROISSANT: so flaky and soft inside! Best I had!! And it was huge! BABKA: another favorite! The chocolate inside is not too sweet! They weigh it so depends on how heavy it is that is what you are going to pay. PAN AU CHOCOLAT: well its like croissant combined with babka. The bread is flaky with bits of that chocolate. Price rating: 6/10. It was not expensive. Definitely will come back to try other breads and pastries they have.

I really wanted to try this place and I’m happy I found it just after a nice lunch not far away. I tried the “Cookie Roll” which was a circular croissant stuffed with chocolate-chip cookie dough, chocolate chips and Nutella. Very well known & famous French bakery for good reason! Located in the most beautiful industrial space flooded with natural light & neon signs, a large display case awaits of the most delicious baked goods await. The line was long but moved along quick! Their oat milk latte was great & my friend got a chocolate croissant which she claimed after an enter week in Paris - this was the BEST she had.

I had breakfast here every day for a week. Everything is amazing, from bagels to croissants, sandwiches, pastries… really top notch. It’s a great “to go” place since they have one or two tables only. Highly recommend the focaccia sandwich! Also, coffee is good but not amazing (if you’re from the US, it’s amazing then).

Definitely worth the hype! I got the cookie roll which was very good, the burrata sandwich (which was definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had - the bread was top notch and ingredients were very high quality). The pain suisse was one well made pastry and the flan was creamy- made with vanilla beans. The service was great too- Alice was very lovely and attentive.

Cédric Grolet is a renowned pastry chef known for his high-concept cakes and pastries, which are crafted in his chic and acclaimed bakery. His creations have gained popularity for their ultra-grammable designs that often begin with a fruit or nut, distilled into pastry-inspired forms before being reassembled to look like the original ingredient. Despite the heftier price tag, these beautiful and creative pastries are worth trying at least once.
I love this pastry shop. Everything looked amazing and was of an incredibly high standard. The quality was unbelievable and everything was so fresh and juicy. I waited for about an hour in the morning, but it was worth every second. I will definitely go there again. If you're coming to Paris, this is the number one pastry shop you have to visit — it's an amazing place, and the pastries are out of this world!

✨ A must-visit in Paris if you’re a dessert lover! In December, the price was €17 per dessert — quite high, but totally worth it for the experience and quality. I tried the pistachio one, and it was absolutely incredible — rich, creamy, and full of flavor, truly a bomb! The presentation is stunning, like a piece of art, and it feels special to enjoy it right in the heart of Paris. Be ready for a line, but once you taste it, you’ll understand why people wait.
Tatsiana T — Google review
I visited Cédric Grolet as a true cake and cookie lover, fully aware that the prices would be a higher than usual. Honestly, I didn’t mind spending the extra money—it was absolutely worth it. The pastries and cookies were exceptionally delicious, crafted with great attention to detail. We also ordered two drinks and had plenty of time to enjoy everything in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. Yes, it’s more expensive than your average bakery, but this isn’t your average bakery. If you're not willing to pay a little more for high-quality treats and a special experience, then maybe this place isn’t for you. Personally, I loved every bite.
Veronika R — Google review
Absolutely delicious, top-quality desserts. The chocolate-vanilla tart and the vanilla pod completely stole my heart - it was incredible. I’ve tried many desserts in my life, and for me it’s never just about “eating something sweet,” but about appreciating it as a work of art. And these desserts are among the best I’ve ever had. This place is definitely worth visiting, if only to get a closer look at the legend. Unfortunately, the tart wasn’t placed well in the box and got deformed, but that didn’t affect the taste. The pastries were outstanding - those layers and the incredible buttery flavor were simply the best I’ve ever tried. Without exaggeration, it was the best croissant of my life.
Alina S — Google review
A Must-Try Parisian Breakfast at Cédric Grolet If you're in Paris and love pastry, a visit to Cédric Grolet is an absolute must. We made a reservation in advance for the fixed breakfast menu (€50 per person), which includes both savory and sweet options, along with the now-iconic croissants that have taken over Instagram. The quality of the products is truly exceptional. The croissants were without a doubt some of the best in Paris — perfectly flaky, buttery, and beautifully presented. Alongside the pastries, the menu offered delicious savory dishes as well, all crafted with the same level of precision and care. The location itself is stunning and elegant, making the experience feel extra special — like a mix between a high-end boutique and a modern pâtisserie. The service was fine — not particularly memorable, but efficient enough — though the real star here is the food. There were also other pastries and creations available for purchase at the counter, each a piece of edible art. Whether you're a foodie, a pastry lover, or just curious about one of the world’s most famous pâtissiers, Cédric Grolet is a unique and worthwhile experience in Paris.
Liana P — Google review
Alright… the place is nice, the service is amazing, there is a guy explaining you everything so 10/10 the experience you will have. Of course there is a line of 1-2 hours and then is when you start doubting if it is worth it or not. I wait 1 hour and I was one of the 20 first ones (I arrived 8:40 AM, so 20 minutes before they open) Flavor: nice, I will not say great because the price is pretty high so you are expecting a new whole different flavor but it is not But since everything is a whole thing I give 5 starts, congrats for the experience and presentation.
Irma C — Google review
Hands down impressive bakery, there's a queue be warned, but its organized with ropes, and they let you enter 1 or 2 parties at a time which is really nice so you could feast your eyes on everything. I would suggest show up 9am first thing. We ordered the croissant and pain au chocolate, very overwhelmed and NEED to go back. The quartier is very chic, I wasn't surprised to see all the versace, loro piana loafers and balenciaga city bag while waiting! I loved the whole experience!
Julee A — Google review
Cédric Grolet Opéra feels like stepping into a pastry museum where everything’s alive and edible. The space is sleek, minimalist, almost gallery-like — white marble, perfect lighting, and those jaw-dropping fruit desserts lined up like jewels. I tried the lemon — looks exactly like the real fruit, but the first bite is insane: thin chocolate shell, bright citrus mousse, layers of texture that actually make you stop talking for a second. Everything here is precise, delicate, and borderline too pretty to eat. It’s not cheap, and the line moves slow because people are filming everything, but honestly, worth it once.

Very good. They have interesting cakes, like the one i had, dark chocolate mousse, noisette and citron. It was very creamy and tasty. Here is a bit more expensive than the ones i tried so far, yet it was very delicious and the lady there was very nice and kind.

We’ve bought some chocolates there. The selling guy was not particularly friendly and we didn’t see that the chocolate was already expired in April 2023. See photos, we bought it in December 2023. Sorry.

Angelina is a legendary tearoom that has been serving refined pastries and hot chocolate in a belle epoque-style setting since 1903. It's considered one of the best places for hot chocolate in Paris, especially for visitors to nearby museums like the Louvre. The luxurious tearoom offers an indulgent hot chocolate experience, served with whipped cream at a slightly high price. Breakfast and brunch are also delightful here, making it perfect for special occasions.
What an absolutely dreamy experience at Angelina! 💫 The prices are on the higher side, but trust me — the hot chocolate is 100% worth it. It's like a rich, velvety hug in a cup. And the atmosphere? Simply stunning! I felt like Marie Antoinette in the 18th century, surrounded by elegance and charm. The staff was absolutely wonderful — so friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky to arrive early, so there was no waiting at all, which made everything even better. My grandma also bought the box to make hot chocolate at home, and she’s completely hooked! It’s a perfect spot for special occasions — can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious, indulgent treat. 🍫✨
M S — Google review
I can see why people enjoy Angelina, but for the price I would say it is a bit overrated. Initially, I thought the chocolat chaud was delicious, but when it cooled down I realized it just tasted like melted chocolate ice cream. If that’s your thing, great. Personally, I would not pay €10,5 for melted chocolate ice cream. Ordered Le Goûter set which came with a selection of savories (pictured on the bottom), and five minis of their classics desserts, and a choice of drink (I went with the hot chocolate). For €37, it was incredibly small. The hot chocolate is a smaller size than what you get when you order hot chocolate individually. The bread on the egg sandwich was a bit stale. The avocado toast bite was rather plain. The sweets were fun. Overall, I would say if you don’t mind spending money on some overpriced pastries and drinks, Angelina delivers that Parisian tourist hot chocolate experience. However, I would not return. That said, our waitress was very sweet.

Angelina was a great brunch spot for our family. Is it delicious? Does it take an absurd amount of time to get in? Has it become a total influencer/tourist attraction? Yes to all. For me, the food was delicious. The service was top-notch. The atmosphere takes you to another place. And it was an over all pleasant experience. Would I go back? Probably not. But that's ok! I'm still giving it a 5-star review because I truly enjoyed the food.
Tony S — Google review
We had breakfast here and purchased pastries from the boutique. The staff in the cafe were very good as were the ones in the shop, polite, friendly and efficient. The room is a beautiful setting and their food and drinks were excellent. Great all round. We arrived early for breakfast and went straight in but when we left there was a long queue outside waiting to get in. If you’re just using the shop, skip the queue and just go straight in.
Carlo R — Google review
Beautifully appointed elegant tea room right out of the 1900's. The tables and chairs have been in place since the 1920s, the gilded decor and antique mirrors lendifil of earlier times. The drinking chocolate was amazing! Breakfast was as well. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend!
Dena M — Google review
Not worth the long wait times and the price. The hot chocolate is good - and the service is good at the takeaway cart outside, but the place is just not geared to handle the endless queues and large volumes of guests and the table service is subpar. Many cafes nearby and all around central Paris have equally good hot chocolate and pastries for less than half the price and much less waiting time.
Sanchit S — Google review
We finally arrived at the place that truly stole my heart – Angelina. Even before my trip, I thought this might just be a tourist trap, and because of that conviction, I wanted to go and try it for myself. Well, I can honestly say that the famous hot chocolate lives up to every bit of praise it gets! It was rich, velvety, and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted – without a doubt the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. The service was impeccable, attentive without being overwhelming, and added to the experience. I also ordered the profiteroles, and they were just as outstanding – light, indulgent, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, making the whole visit feel truly special. And the best part – we were there to celebrate my birthday, which made the experience even more memorable. This is without question a place worth experiencing if you’re in Paris.

Overall food is pretty good. The chocolate is pretty good. wait time isn't too bad. we went on a weekday afternoon and got let in in 20 minutes. biggest problem I see is the service can be a hit or miss. I repeated asked for tap water but seems like the waitress forgot. I saw some tables served by other waiters got it without even asking.

Authentic Japanese bakery, a must visit every time I’m in Paris. The curry bun was still warm, everything is freshly made and great quality

An authentic Japanese bakery. They have the biggest variety I've ever seen of melon pan. I got ebi fry onigiri and strawberry burger melon pan. They were so fresh and tasty. The staff were very patient with me because I had so many coins and I wanted to pay using all of them. Prices were very good. The portions are enough to make you full. I'll be back again to try more of their food.

This place made me so happy!! Everything was delicious!! The curry pan was soooo flavoursome and the fluffy crispy outside bread was chewy and yum. The matcha eclair was tooooo die for! I came back the next day because it was so good but they were closed which was heartbreaking
Karen T — Google review
The matcha latte was okay for the price, but my friends and I got a burger melon pain, and chocolate, and it was not our best food experience. The bread cost 6 euros, and it was very mediocre, if not bad, considering that we heard reviews saying that the burger melon bread was good. When me and my friend and I took the first bite, we both frowned. I expected the brown cream to be chocolate but met with a very strange taste that we couldn't even make out if it was honey, chocolate, or cafe, which was strange because the bread’s name was chocolate. They put crystal sugar, instead of powdered sugar layer on top of the bread which felt odd to eat. It took 5 bites for us to finally see the chocolate part of the bread which was the tiny dark part underneath and it wasn't even chocolate cream but hard chocolate— once again, felt odd to eat because 95% filling was soft cream. Me and my friend couldn't even finish one bread because we didn't like its taste. Overall, I think it was a waste of money buying this bread and a 2 euro pain au chocolat from a random boulangerie would taste better.

Incredible, we stopped by here early 7:30am due to jetlag and they already have fresh pastry out. We tried their buns with chocolate stuffing and the hot chocolate and matcha latte. Wife had to order more matcha latte the following days the whole time we stayed! Later in the day, we stopped by the other aki and got the melon buns, it was perfect. I really wanted to try their sesame flan, but not enough stomach space.

The best pastry/sweet I had in the last week of Paris was a melon pan from this place. Do not sleep on this store, RUN to the Melon-pan. It even better than most I've had in Japan

We were looking for breakfast at a boulangerie and walked by this place. The place is clean, large and the friendly staff greeted us right away. The 🥐 🥐 were so fresh and crispy, really tasty. I saw many recommended top Paris boulangeries and we tried them all on the buckets list, but in fact this one was the best bakery and croissant 🥐🥐 that we ate at. Would definitely come back again.

My favourite bakery of Paris! This place is just amazing. All their pastries are warm and delicious. So much choice of savoury and sweet! Can’t recommend enough 😍

The croissant and coffee were both delicious. I really liked the self-service ordering screens—they make it easy to see all the options and prices. The restroom was very clean. The prices are also quite reasonable. I was especially happy that they offer a large size for the Americano and that I could order it that way. Overall, this place is very clean and offers great value. I can recommend it with complete confidence.

Bo & MIE is a cafe for anyone who loves pastries. Their selection of croissants and pastries is both delicious and varied — from the classic buttery croissant to more creative options. Pair that with their well-brewed coffee, and you’ve got the perfect combination for breakfast, a midday pick-me-up, or even a cozy afternoon treat. What really makes the experience stand out, though, is the service. The staff are incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive, making every visit feel warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in good quality pastries, great coffee, and fabulous service.

A wonderful café with a great range of savory and sweet treats!! We tried one of the best Quiche Lorraine we have tasted there. Their coffee was also wonderful, and their sweets delicious! The prices were very reasonable. The staff was quick to help, but could not do proper service due to the large amount of people visiting. Also the toilets were missing paper sometimes. But overall, it is a great café that I would visit again and again especially for quick visits!

Enjoyed the original Mont Blanc! The cream was fluffy and not too sweet, the chestnut swirls on top had a comforting nutty flavour and a good texture. I appreciated that the staff paid attention to the packaging so that the pastry would not get squished in transit.

This is the number one place to go for desserts in Paris. They sell desserts from different top pastry chefs, and the lemon tart was absolutely outstanding.

So this is very unique place! They take from something like 12 patisserie chef every month one dessert/chocolate/cake etc and sell only that so the costumer can taste from all around the best of Paris. Great idea! And the pistachio tart is just unbelievable, wow!!! Just go and take it! The service is also a key when they let you know everything about the choices and help you choose

This is a place to takeaway patisseries, from well known chef. They also sells magazines with the same title, with recipes in it. Usually the patisseries changes weekly. I have no complain for this place, it gives us the convenience to sample all the great patisseries without going to each and individual location; some chef are also attached to hotels and doesnt have their own namesake shop. Highly recommended if you want to taste the best of the best.

MAISON LANDEMAINE CLICHY is a popular bakery and café in Paris, known for its delicious and affordable breakfast options. Visitors rave about the salami sandwich, ham and cheese sandwich, cappuccino, Drops, pain au raisins, tartelette au citron meringuee, almond croissant, and other pastries. The bakery offers a comfortable space to enjoy quick bites or prix meals at reasonable prices.
This boulangerie was right across from Hotel le Cardinal where we stayed for several days last week. We popped in daily. This place has low reviews and I'm not sure why. Their staff is friendly and very helpful. Their food is delicious and the selection is great. The croque monsuire was the best one we had around Paris and it was also the largest (the photo is half of it). Don't forget the pain au chocolat, croissants, pain au chocolat aux amande, croissant aux amande, choquettes, quiche Lorraine and jambon buerre. I had a latte the first time we went there and it was the first time I had a coffee without sweetener. It was smooth and delicious. You will not be disappointed if you stop by. We sure are missing them 😊🇫🇷 Merci!

It is more expensive than the other bakeries we had been yet also the worse one, and we have tried a ton of their food. We got two different quiche and both of them didn't taste like much and whatever we could taste was bad so they were thrown away, one goat cheese salad which was the size of a quiche and 8.50 Euros without any sauce on it or offered next to it, chicken wrap, eclair which was a bit more elasticy than how it should be, even the basic flan didn't taste good. Overall we have paid 52 Euros for what you can see on the pictures and half of it was thrown away.

While strolling around in winter on a weekend, we came across Maison Landemaine by chance—and what a fantastic surprise it was. The moment we walked in, the aroma of fresh bread and pastries drew us in. We sampled a variety of both, and each one was exceptional. From the perfectly crusty breads to the delicate, buttery pastries, everything was full of flavor and clearly made with care. On top of that, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful spot for anyone who appreciates quality French baking and warm service.

Popelini is a charming bakery in Paris that specializes in crafting delectable cream puffs, also known as choux. With multiple locations across the city, this delightful shop offers an array of flavors such as coffee, chocolate, raspberry, and pistachio. Legend has it that the cream puff was originally created for Queen Catherine de Medici in 1540 and later adapted by Popelini. The menu may be small but it caters to various tastes.
Incredibly delicious and beautiful cream puffs. We tried the hazelnut, cafe, biscoff and vanilla cookie cream puffs and all well delicious. The cream puffs are light and airy and the flavor of the pastry cream intense. Can’t wait to go back and try other flavors!
Ruth L — Google review
We are absolutely in love with these choux. We used to live in Paris and now live in Thailand — yet these are the pastries we still talk about all the time. This week, during our trip back to France, we made a special stop in Paris just to have them again. Every flavor is delightful and distinct — rich, balanced, and full of character. The perfect harmony of puff, cream, and frosting. It’s hard to put into words how much we adore them. Truly one of the things we miss most about Paris.
S R — Google review
While this is a new take on Choux pastries, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was a mix of macaron and Choux that I was indulging in. Perhaps it's due to its petite size, but it's incredibly convenient to eat, especially if you're not looking to indulge too much. I tried the Choux of the day, which had a delightful hint of pineapple and mango. It was tasty, although I found there to be a bit too much cream for my liking. My absolute favorite, however, was the Pomme Tatin. It was beautifully flavored and perfectly balanced. Well done!
Gino H — Google review
The first time I had choux from Popelini was in 2022. They were so good then and still are today in 2025. The cream filling of each of the flavors are well pronounced without being too intense. The texture of the cream is smooth and almost velvety, not so dense that it feels heavy in your mouth. There's a good enough amount of soft crust for you to chew while savouring the cream with each bite.
Nipone S — Google review
We chose the passion fruit and cafe latte. The flavor largely comes from the crème in the choux. I would recommend to go with tangy/tart flavors after trying both. A reviewer said they are small. It’s true that I could hold both in 1 hand. I think they are the perfect size for a little sweet treat without feeling guilty. I wished the choux was a little more crisp like Beard Papa cream puffs.

Cute little patissiére and it’s located in Le Marais area in the 4th arrondissement of Paris city. The staff was served me he’s really good and Friendly and kind to offering me try some of their best seller variety of ice cream. And he also treat tourists respectfully and speak English well. Tiny little bakery with nicely presented variety of East Mediterranean treats. The gentleman that helped us was very patient and polite. We got a salted butter caramel vanilla and lemon cardamom pastry nest and pistachio chocolate tart. We got them to go. The tart came in a cute little box. The nests were crunchy and soft- a little messy to eat but tasty. We loved the pistachio chocolate tart. Was a nice treat for our first patisserie experience in Paris.
Turtlekeeper D — Google review
You must try the Orange Blossom Nest (with Strawberry, in season) if you stop by. This is an experience you will share with your grandkids someday. The orange was light, without the citrus after taste, while the accent of strawberry elevated this treat to a higher, heavenly level. The nest aspect brought a subtle crunch to this culinary marvel. This should be a must stop while in Paris.

Amazing pastry, only speaking for the rhubarb tarte that I tried but it was mind blowing. So good from the super crispy layered base from I guess phyllo to the rhubarb compote, pistachio, cream and rhubarb jelly, super well balanced composition and not too sweet. The florentine was a bit dense and thick overall but definitely high quality. They sell drinks but it's not an eat in space. Service is very quick to explain everything in English.

A beautiful store with the beautiful patisseries that you feel like buying them all, the choices were hard to make but the ones that we got had this soft and smooth taste that would just melt in your mouth. The delicacy of these patisserie were just perfect. We also bought their unique focaccia which was another hit. Will be going back here again. ❤️

came here desperately hunting for a croissant, but i was too late. all the viennoiserie was already gone for the day. a shame, yes, but also a promising sign that it must be really good. definitely planning to come back next time i’m in paris, but earlier. i did get to try a couple of bites of other items and everything was pretty tasty. so expectations are officially high for round two.
Elena M — Google review
They have one of the best croissants in Paris! The croissant is crunchy yet very buttery. I didn’t have a chance to try the famous Chausson aux Pomme, but their Chausson aux Citron is amazing.
Rachel M — Google review
It is because of shops such as this that I cannot wait to return to Paris. In fact, Des Gateaux et du Pain is at the very top of my list of favorites. The quiche (which they will warm for you) is pure, buttery bliss. The chausson rhubarb, the pain au chocolate, the citron tart, the flan—all perfection. If only I could’ve tried more of their beautiful, rustic pain and jewel-like patisserie. Next time. Definitely next time.
T. S — Google review
Best to go when there are few customers in the shop as it's worth it to calmly look at the marvelous selection. We've visited many bakeries this trip but Des Gateaux et du Pain stands out as especially superb. The angel food cake, for example, is a real treat. The flan is very special. On a Sunday morning, it's a mob scene. Best to drop in when you're not rushed and the whole town isn't there.

Le Petit Grain is a popular bakery in Paris, known for its photogenic bread display and favored by the fashion crowd. The owner, Edward Delling-Williams, also runs the well-regarded restaurant Le Grand Bain just across the street. The bakery's specialty is the Kouign-amann, a Breton pastry with layers of sugar and salty butter, given an earthy twist with ginger and sesame seeds.
The pecan pastry is one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted. I was hesitant to come here at first because the reviews say the staff is rude but it was fine for me, even as a non-French speaker. I also got a small piece of the buckwheat bread with seeds. Only thing is that it was $10 for both pastry and quarter piece of bread which felt a bit expensive to me…

Good bakery with unique flavors for their pastries! Kouign amann which has seasame & ginger.

It’s a Boulangerie to take away. I was craving for a good croissant( I realised it’s not that easy to find in Paris) and it was exactly what a found. If you are around Belleville don’t hesitate to pass through and take one of their croissants or pain au chocolate. Also I try a pastry from Brittany. So good. Take it and go to the channel nearby.

We came here every morning for a pastry since our hotel was on the corner. Delicious pastries, we especially loved the pain au chocolat! (only €2,20?!) Crispy, flakey and quite big of size. Would definitely recommend!

Really, I mean REALLY good bread. I tried almost everything and its always good. Would recommend also cinnamon brioche and banana bread, sandwiches are also usually good. I lowered the grade because one of the girls on the counter is very unpleasant to talk to and to my [luck] shes often there in the morning. The others are super nice though.

amazingly beautiful pastries- these are french with a japanese influence, resulting in some unique flavours. i cannot get over how well they've nailed certain flavours of their macarons (like the genmaicha & yuzu)...plus i love their creamy filling as well. mousse cakes are also so delicious- loved the matcha & azuki.

Best Chou à la crème I’ve ever tasted. Not exaggerating at all. We bought macaron and tarte de citron too. It was really really good. Sure the price is higher than others but it’s worth every penny. Staff was friendly too. An Asian twist to the French dessert. You can find flavors like green tea, black sesame, wasabi, and more.
BichThuy T — Google review
The sales is wrong. Their Japanese style is as sweet as French cake, if not sweeter. And note that matcha is very bitter. So if it already tastes overwhelmingly sweet, then this cake must contain an enormous amount of sugar.

Le Grenier à Pain Abbesses Bodian is a renowned bakery in Paris, known for its high-quality bread. The branch has won the Best Baguette in Paris twice and is the only one to have achieved this feat. Situated on Butte Montmartre, it continues to produce delightful bread. The bakery is part of a larger chain with locations worldwide, but has maintained its traditional pricing and commitment to excellence.
My favorite bakery in Paris! They offer a diverse selection of savory and sweet products. The traditional baguette had great texture as well as flavor. The pain au chocolate had a nice ratio of chocolate. The lemon eclair was excellent, although I think the pistachio eclair could have used a bit more flavor. For savory I got olive and cheese bread, which is my personal favorite, as well as a cheese tomato bread. I went three times in total, and lines were never longer than 15-20 minutes, but well worth the wait.

The best croissant I’ve ever had in Paris! 😍🥐 Buttery, flaky, and fresh — a true delight. This little gem is clearly loved by locals, as we saw plenty popping in while we were there. Highly recommend!

A gem This was our last stop before we headed to the airport to come back home. Recommend by a friend who use to live in Paris, in the same area as the bakery. She told me I needed to get the pain au chocolat as they tend to run out. I got myself the ham and tomato thing as well as a big log covered in chocolate. I ate what I got on my flight back to LA. My friend was right. They make good stuff. I have to commend the person working. She was literally the only person out there. It was quite busy and she had her hands full

This chocolate pastry is out of this world! If you are on a hunt for an amazing pain au chocolat but always wished if they could have more chocolate in it, then this is the one for you! No custard like a pain suisse, just loaded with delicious studs of chocolate and enveloped in the crispy, buttery and flaky exterior! 10/10!!

Worth Trying A fairly average experience. Nothing too unique within the store and prices above par. Pain au chocolate - par, not buttery, but not dry. Much more bready than average, so it's a heavier bite. Good structure.

A really good bakery. Even though it’s very popular and quite touristy, it still has kept its standards and offers great pastries. The pain au chocolat is particularly good as well as the Petits pains suisses aux pépites de chocolat.

In our trip to Paris recently we went looking for this as it was rated well. Not disappointed at all!! Loved the sweets we got from there and then enjoyed them on a bench near the Grand Palais. The pastries we got looked so pretty, tbh, I didn’t feel like eating them! Loved it!!

Eclair was alright Mont blanc cake was fantastic, strong chestnut flavour, quite sweet but understandable if you want to bring out the chestnut flavour Canele is quite standard, good exercution. If the skin was more shattering it would have been textbook Flan was spectacular. This is a must try. It's on the creamier side of flans and very full bodied. Maybe the best flan I've had. Crust was thin and crunchy For the flan it's definitely 5 stars, the rest were no slouch either but not as mind-blowing. Price is on the high side, but well deserved for the quality
Yizhou W — Google review
Came for the Mont Blanc but it wasn’t available, so we opted for the signature “Beige” instead. I’m not usually a big fan of earl grey but the mousse was so delicately light and balanced with the dark chocolate with orange ganache! So, soooo good! The canelé and brown butter financiers were also excellent. Can’t wait to be back again and try more!

Definitely my favourite pastry shop in Paris, bought their strawberry fresh cream cake 4 days in a row it’s that good! If you’re in Paris in summer you definitely can’t miss it. Wonderfully light and moist, not too sweet and just an overall treat! The lady working there was so kind as well. Truly lovely!
Jing Y — Google review
Definitely one of the better flans I’ve had. On the creamier side so I’d advise to share. I really liked the texture of the crust complemented with the creamy vanilla filling. Wasn’t overly sweet but I’d have loved it more if it was a tad less sweet.
Cynthia G — Google review
Incredibly perfect! Pastries are to die for and the flan à la vanille is one of the best I’ve tried in Paris! The staff is very friendly and helpful as well! Absolutely 5 ⭐️

A minimalist and tiny store with no seating inside. A park nearby makes for a good place to eat treats bought from here. The pastries, certainly, were visually pleasing. They looked more exciting than how they tasted. Don't get me wrong they tasted delicious and not overly sweet but nothing that will send your taste buds on a journey. Would still recommend giving the place a try. Still can't decide if it should be 4 or 5 stars though.

La Maison d'Isabelle, located in the Latin Quarter, proudly displays its 2018 Best Croissant in Paris award on a black awning. The bakery's croissants are known for their generous size and use of Charentes-Pouitou AOC butter blended with organic flour from Moulins de Brasseuil. Customers often wait around 10 minutes to savor these acclaimed pastries.
The best croissant in Paris. I researched to look for the best croissant bakery in Paris and I was so excited to try this bakery. The crispy crust and battery croissant was perfect. I went back to the bakery the next day and enjoyed it again. The line can be long but don't get scared, it moves quickly. I am still dreaming about the bakery.
Rie F — Google review
The place was packed, but the line moved quickly and honestly, it’s totally worth the wait. The croissant here might be the best I’ve ever had. Super flakey and crunchy on the outside, but soft and buttery inside, like a warm pillow that melts in your mouth. The baguette with salami and pickles was simple but perfect… super crunchy crust, soft center, and that deep, toasty flavor you only get from real French bread. I kinda didn’t expect something that plain to taste that good. The staff were nice, patient, and even switched to English without me asking, which helped a lot. The place was lively and the line was fun and kind of chaotic in the best way.
Moises G — Google review
Came to try their award winning croissant 🥐 is it life changing? Short answer: nope. Only really had croissants in USA or Asia and haven’t ever been overly impressed so would this change things? 🤔 The staff helped me despite not knowing any French. They are super quick cuz they know people are here for one thing. The croissant is really good. Maybe best I’ve had but not next level that I had hoped. What really boosts it is the price. Def recommend ✌️
James F — Google review
La Maison d’Isabelle is one of those rare Parisian boulangeries that makes you stop in your tracks — the buttery aroma alone is enough to pull you in. Their apple turnover is a true work of art: golden, impossibly crisp layers that give way to a tender, fragrant apple filling that’s perfectly balanced — never too sweet, just beautifully comforting. It’s the kind of pastry that makes you close your eyes on the first bite. And the croissant? Quite possibly one of the best in Paris — flaky perfection with a light, honeycombed interior and a deep, satisfying buttery flavour that lingers. You taste the craftsmanship in every fold. If there’s one pastry that didn’t quite steal my heart, it’s the raisin swirl — a touch too dense and sweet for my liking, especially compared to their exceptional standards. But that’s just a small note in an otherwise flawless symphony of viennoiserie. La Maison d’Isabelle remains a must-stop for pastry lovers — a bakery that celebrates tradition, mastery, and pure indulgence in every bite. 🥐🍏✨
Rodney L — Google review
Best croissant i’ve ever tasted!!! It definitely worth the wait (not very long tho). It was crispy from the outside and soft on the inside. I’ve tried 2 other artisan croissants in Paris (even the winner of 2023) but this one… is still the best for me. Kinda gonna miss it while being back to eating croissants in netherland :”) No place to sit so i ate this after a little walk to Notre Dame
Zin — Google review
I tried the plain croissant and the lemon tart — and both completely lived up to the hype. 🥐 The croissant was one of the best I’ve ever had. The outside is perfectly crisp and flaky, with layers that shatter delicately at the first bite. Inside, it’s soft, airy, and buttery without being greasy. It’s the kind of pastry that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good a simple croissant can be. 🍋 The lemon tart was refreshing and balanced — tangy but not too sharp, smooth but not overly sweet. The lemon curd had a silky texture and the crust was crisp and buttery, providing the perfect contrast. It’s light yet satisfying — perfect for a sunny Paris afternoon. The prices are incredibly reasonable given the quality. Totally worth it.
Charlie L — Google review
The croissant is to die for.. not sure how will I go back and eat the other croissants now that the standard bar has gone up so high because of this place. The croissant is super delicious, flaky, crispy just right and a yummy flavor of butter. A must visit if you are in Paris, you can thank me later ☺️☺️❤️❤️ I have also tried the Toscan which was yummy too.
Shishi — Google review
The croissant tasted like a toasted costco croissant. I am not an expert on croissants but I kinda expected a little more. The apple turnover didnt have enough apple in it, it was also too dry for my taste. The place looked good, there was an open market in front the day we went. We waited in a line for about 5mins. The women behind the counter had little patience for us trying to make a decision having just entered the line of sight of the sweets. We were expected to know what we wanted before we even saw everything so maybe try step into the store to look before you join the line.

This charming establishment is renowned for its signature creation—the praluline—a heavenly pink candied praline brioche loaf that has captured the hearts of many.
Had no idea what praluline was, but thought I will try it out. Very nice, taste like candied nuts in a brioche I especially loved the more crispy bits on the crust. Warmed up at home is great but mine was still warm when I got it. They wrap it up beautifully so can take it home or as souvenirs. Comes in small or large I had a small but will try the large next time. Their chocolate brioche was also good but too much chocolate for me.

If you speak English, be prepared to get the old croissants. I was in line and saw the person in front of me — a French man — receive a croissant from the top of the shelf. When it was my turn, they gave me one from the bottom shelf. The person after me, also French, again got one from the top. This is completely unacceptable. If they claim the one I received is just as fresh, then the croissants must be of poor quality in general. Please treat all your customers with the same respect, even if they don’t speak French.

Best boulangerie for amazing fruit tarts and croissants! We came across this by chance and we are so glad we decided to give it a try. I went there to looking to have their signature brunch or petit dejeuner menu or sandwiches that are advertised on their instagram page. I asked for it and they didn't have it... no explanations. I didn't know if it was the wrong day or wrong location/branch. As i was checking the viennoiseries on display, a regular and local customer asked for pain au chocolat and a chausson aux abricots. When it was my turn, i was like... saaaame! I also asked for bread with cheese and ham. All good!!!

What a lovely place. Welcoming atmosphere, I really like the green tiles and what about that ancient enormous wood 🪵 in the ceiling. Food wise, croissants was good, even if I ate something better somewhere else in Paris. But the “layered little cake” creme, vanilla and caramel with all crust… next time I want a ton of these!! You really need to try it
Gian — Google review
🚨They probably overcharge people who don’t speak french or seem “tourists”. Do not recommend. I ordered one pain au chocolates and one blueberry tart and it came out 10.8 euros. It’s either overpriced or they overcharged me. Wow. I went because my French friend recommended it but never again. Also I tried to order cafe au lait or some coffee with milk, the server said they don’t have coffee with milk. So latte, cappuccino, etc none of those are available.
Hesu Y — Google review
Very interesting and appealing concept of this place, where they try to use less refined sugar, bio flour and etc. But the viennoiseries weren’t tasty. They were dry and very burnt. The bread was delicious though! The ambience of the place is pleasing.
Ksenia B — Google review
I ordered the Moroccan salad and the woman serving me started mixing what appears to be some leftovers of the salad from the day before with the fresh version of the same salad. That happened just in front of my eyes! Very disappointing. It was in a different bowl even, hidden behind the fresh bowl of salad. Avoid this place.
Jonė S — Google review
Might have tried one of the best cookie ever! Large selection. Only one slight drawback is that my friend who’s allergic to grapes asked if there was grapes in the carrot cake (the answer was no from the staff) but it actually appears that there was some … my friend was really disappointed but this! Tried to call them just to let them know but no answers unfortunately…

La Grande Épicerie de Paris | Sevres is a renowned food hall that offers a wide variety of gourmet products, including groceries, pastries, and deli items. It also features several restaurants and a wine cellar. Visitors can explore upscale places like Les Caves de Taillevent and La Cave a Millesimes for an impressive selection of goods. For wine enthusiasts, the shop run by the restaurant Taillevent offers an exceptional collection.
The most beautiful grocery store I've ever been to! You must go here. They have everything you could ever imagine. The staff was so kind and generous. I bought the most delicious French delicacies to take back to the states- butter, cheese, chocolates, wine.
Rachel E — Google review
La Grande Épicerie is the definition of Parisian elegance in supermarket form. The selection is incredible — from the impeccable cheese counter to the bakery that looks and smells like a dream. Everything felt curated, elevated, and oh-so-bougie in the best way. Shopping here made me feel like a true Parisian. I wandered the aisles with my little basket, picking out gourmet items to take back to my hotel — and honestly, the things I bought satisfied my palate more than some of the restaurants I tried. It’s a foodie heaven. My only (minor) disappointment? They no longer stock coffee creamer — something they apparently used to carry. A very kind floor attendant walked me all the way to where it would’ve been, then explained that most French people drink their coffee black, so creamer just isn’t in demand. Fair — but still, I mourned a little. Overall, I loved the experience. It’s not just a grocery store — it’s a lifestyle. A delicious, classy, very Parisian lifestyle.

Love to buy gourmet products from this grocery store in Paris, France. The butters here is well sought after and tastes so smooth and delicious great for cooking. There’s levels here where you can buy wines, champagne, liqueur, home goods, wine glasses, butcher shop, and fresh fruits.

Loved the store! So many cute Parisian foods to try. I got different flavors of butter and the best part is that they vacuum seal it for you! I highly recommend

I recommend the petit sandwicherie. The size is customizable. If you do not have a big hunger, you can choose 10cm sandwich. I love the butternut and a blue cheese. Very nice combination and fresh ingredients. Next time I’ll try more

La Pâtisserie du Meurice par Cédric Grolet is a renowned pastry shop in Paris, known for its exquisite and visually stunning desserts created by the world's best pastry chef, Cedric Grolet. The shop offers an array of trompe l'oeil pastries and cakes, including super-sized cookies that are a sight to behold. One of the highlights is the sculpted fruit pastries that resemble real fruits and are filled with layers of corresponding fruit flavors.
These were the best fruit-symbol cakes I've ever eaten. I'm a pastry chef myself, but I prefer good chefs. I hope to be the same. Definitely make your way to these desserts. You'll experience an extraordinary explosion of flavor. The pistachios and vanilla were especially perfect 😍🤩
RAELF — Google review
Not worth the hype and the queue. We waited days in mind to try these delicious looking desserts and waited for 40 minutes in actual queue only to be disappointed. It is a piece of art in terms of presentation but tasted really bad. The mango was too sour and no sweet taste to complement it. The pistachio was the worst of all. It was just not sweet at all and tasted super bland and salty. We end up wasting it away. 18 euros for it? More like 2 euros only. The raspberry vanilla dessert ended up being decent and we liked it, though it can be improved further. Overall, chef really needs to take these feedback and make it worth the hype and money. Totally not worth my 98 euros.
Predaarshan V — Google review
I took Fig, Pistacchio and Blueberry. Also before I was in the cafe and took Vanilla. Each 18€ Incredibly tasty and well made. But don’t expect them to be sweet. They are not. The are fresh fruits with very little sugar if it’s even there. It’s really unique not to feel jam but actually like a fresh fruit pure. Very light deserts, pistacchio was the only that was slightly heavy. My favorite was blueberry and vanilla ( that I took from the caffe in the morning
Traveler — Google review
Tried four of the famous trompe-l’œil pastries: Pot de Pop Corn, Mangue, Pomme Verte, and Pot de Chouchou. The Pot de Pop Corn was my clear favorite, its depth of flavor was unmatched, perfectly balanced with a subtle salty sweetness. The Mangue, though beautifully presented and hyped online, wasn’t my top pick but was still very good. The Pomme Verte was excellent, tasting remarkably like a real apple with an impressive texture, and the Pot de Chouchou offered a more straightforward flavor profile but was enjoyable nonetheless. We waited about an hour in line on a Saturday afternoon, but the staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and organized, making the experience pleasant. At €86 for four pastries, it’s definitely a splurge, but everything was crafted to perfection, and you truly get what you pay for. A must-try for pastry enthusiasts seeking an elevated, one-of-a-kind experience.
Miled N — Google review
I have visited on Wednesday and around 12:05 I have joined the queue. The queue moved relatively quick and within 30 minutes I got in. Mind, this location is open only Wednesday to Sunday and only 12-6 or 7 PM. All items were available and I have purchased 3 creations: pistachio, apple and mango. Do bear in mind that these creations have to be consumed within 1 hour. In summer definitely quicker and you have to carry it carefully as they are fragile. There isn’t any seating area but there is a park nearby. They do offer napkins, spoons for your take away. Is take away only with click and collect available but you must reserve few days ahead. Separate queue for click and collect. The pistachio wasn’t my favourite. The amount of sea salt was overpowering and didn’t let actual pistachio speak for itself. Mango was delicate but absolutely refreshing and worth every penny. The apple has little dill inside but I actually liked it so it gave softness to actual green apple sourness. Don’t expect red apple flavour when is actually Granny Smith type. Each priced at €18. Do mind these aren’t cakes. They do sell cakes like fruits and cost around €35.
Silvia G — Google review
I really wanted to try these desserts, as they were so hyped up online. We waited in line about 10 minutes, actually not bad and time went by fast. I appreciate the fact that you’re the only customer in the store, so the line is worth it. The presentation and experience is amazing. We bought the blueberry (18€) pistachio (18€) and popcorn (25€) The pistachio I would say is interesting - NOT SWEET, which I was not expecting. The texture is interesting, a little bir salty, you can really feel the pistachio taste. The blueberry is good, not amazing, not sweet again. You can feel bits of actual blueberry inside. The popcorn was by far the best and most interesting of all. This dessert was sweet, with caramel and actual popcorn inside. We shared 3 desserts to 2 people which was way to much, I would just choose 2, as they were quite big. It’s an interesting experience, over-hyped, good but would not try again.
Roxana P — Google review
The pastries are truly exceptional and incredibly delicious. The trompe l’œil, which are desserts designed to resemble fruit, offered a perfect harmony of fruity flavours without being overly sweet. The only downside might be the relatively high price, but it is certainly worth experiencing at least once.
Ruisko B — Google review
Queue for about 30mins to try out the delicate desserts. Personally I think the desserts look pretty but were abit too sweet for and expensive. However they were worth trying after all as we can feel the chef has indeed put alot of effort in the creation of the beautiful dessert.

The apple turnover was decent, but the amount of apples are not like the ones in the publicity photo shown on their website. But with the caramelised sugar on the pastry, it's one of the better apple turnovers in the city. 7/10 I also tried the kouglof. My first time to try this specialty from Alsace, so I'm not sure if it's authentic or not There's not much taste in it, no taste of alcohol in the almonds. But the brioche was properly risen. If that's how kouglof is supposed to taste like, then I don't think I'd try one again in the future. 3/10

The small, black spots on the glasses are the flies 🪰 and the staff even didn’t wear gloves when take the pastries?! The flavor is still the same as before, but the amount is like half way smaller than before. If the strategy is just to open new shops but not keep the high quality for the pastry, I won’t recommend anymore.

The Pistache Lover was delicious! Very creamy and smooth, not too sweet and with lots of pistachio flavour. Prices are comparable with other bakeries in the area. The service is what dropped my review from 5 to 4 star - while not at all rude the staff were also not very friendly. It took quite a while for someone to even acknowledge me.

I had a very unpleasant experience here. The person at the counter was extremely rude and unhelpful. Despite the sign at the entrance saying there is free Wi-Fi, they refused to give us the password and treated us disrespectfully when we asked. On top of that, they don’t understand English well, so when I asked for oat milk, they brought me hot milk instead, and when I tried to explain the misunderstanding, they got angry and treated me badly. Very disappointing service. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming atmosphere or basic courtesy.

We came here for a family macaron class via TripAdvisor. The teaching kitchen is a closet. We could only fit 2 families of 4 if we stood uncomfortably close (and without room to move). There is a sink to wash your hands, but no toilet. Also, it was the fastest class ever! Only an hour instead of the scheduled two. We did come away with a box full of macaron, tho!

An American style all you can eat brunch upgraded by having only excellently prepared French cuisine. Well worth the trip and great value. It can seem crowded but I certainly had ample opportunity to over sample. Another reason why people shouldn’t be afraid of venturing out into the double digit arrondissements!

The atmosphere was perfect, with chilled music and a lovely rustic aesthetic. The brunch menu didn't feel like a British or American brunch with a lot of savory lunch food so we opted for breakfast instead. We got a croissant, baguette, orange juice and coffee this filled us up just as much as a brunch normally would! The food was good but would of been a lot nicer with the baguette and croissant warmed for us. Overall a lovely place for breakfast! Worth a visit!

Savor the delectable pastries at this spot, highly praised for their freshness and rich flavors. Despite the delightful experience, exercise caution during payment, as I noticed a possible error post-departure, leaving a slightly bitter aftertaste when I realized I was charged around 35 Euros for an order that should have been around 20 Euros.

Lenôtre, led by Guy Krenzer, has introduced a holiday dessert inspired by a pine forest. After a Eurotrip that included Italy, Berthillion's gelato on the island of St. Louis is a must-try with its rich and flavorful options like strawberry and mango. The bakery/kitchen offers exquisite eclairs and tarts in an elegant setting with friendly staff.
After my eurotrip that included 2 weeks in Italy, Berthillion is at the top of my list for gelato. There are several locations on the island of St. Louis, so it is impossible to miss. I tried the strawberry and mango flavors, and both were mindblowing. I felt like I was tasting the fruit itself. The gelato was rich, dense, not too sweet, but very very flavorful. For how good this is, the price is comparable to all other places I have seen. If you are lucky, you may find a pianist or another street performer on the bridge, where you can enjoy your dessert in a free outdoor concert. This was truly picturesque and one of the best memories I had in Europe.

We visited because Laurent Duchene was on several lists for the best croissant in Paris. This was definitely NOT the case and Laurent Duchene was a huge disappointment. Their croissant is not buttery or flaky at all and tasted like a bread roll. Not sure what happened but we either went on a bad day or their quality has fallen off drastically. The croissants at my hotel's breakfast buffet are better than their croissants. If taking the metro here and getting off at Convention station, there is a fabulous bakery right at the corner of Vaugirard and Alain Chartier - It does not show on Google Maps for some reason but the awning said "Artisan Boulanger". We had several items from here and they were all fantastic.

So far during my one and a half week stay in Paris, I’ve found that the service has been quite friendly, defying the negative stereotypes often associated with Parisian restaurants and cafes. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for me today at Ten Belles Bread. So far I’ve only tried their espresso, and it was pretty good, but I have to say that the young lady behind the cash had a real hard time cracking a smile. Nevertheless, I will give the place a second chance and return to try their sandwiches, which looked great.
Jeremiah H — Google review
Grand café crème was very good. It’s 5 euros for a big cup of coffee and there’s two shots of espresso. It satisfied me cause I get annoyed when the coffee is too small and too milky. Coffee milk ratio was good, latte art also on point. There’s a large seating area both inside and outside. I think it’s a good place especially when you realize that most of the time the specialty cafes in paris have a really small seating area.

Mohamed S — Google review
My review is only about the new model. They now offer table service with a much more expensive menu. It’s totally ruined the place. I used to love to come here and get a light bite to eat when in a rush or to casually order a sandwich then scone and tea. The new menu is expensive and makes one order a lot of food. The menu isn’t the same as the counter. There is now nowhere to order food from the counter and sit down. I used to come here 2-3 times a week when in Paris. Now I’ll be going elsewhere. I want to note that the people who work there are nice. This isn’t about them. It’s about the model. For brunch, I’d go to Cafe Mericourt. For better blend of coffee and lunch, I’d go Back in Black. For great coffee, I’d go to Beans on Fire or Saint Barista. For an easy snack and coffee, I’d go to Cafe Napoli.

Excellent bread! We came here while staying in an Airbnb down the road. We wanted to find some fresh bread and came across Ten Belles. This has been one of the best sourdough loaves I have ever had. La Bague de Kenza is a renowned bakery in Paris, offering traditional Algerian pastries and bread with Nigella seeds. The bakery boasts a wide selection of over two hundred baked goods, all inspired by Algerian cuisine, featuring flavors like honey, nuts, semolina, dates, oranges, and roses. It's the perfect place to grab some pastries for an at-home aperitif or to indulge in the delightful explosion of flavors from their sweet treats.
The shop is a beautiful sight to look at and the savory as well as the sweet food exceeded all our expectations. The proprietor we met at the Rue Saint-Maur shop was extremely kind and gifted us with extra bread to try. It was a memorable and positive introduction to Algerian patisserie. We returned the next day to get more of the sesame coils which had a unique citron-y fragrance. Truly amazing. Highly recommended.

My biggest issue with this place besides the price is the employees' passive agressive attitude! They don't know how to smile and should be taught how to especially when 6 pieces of pastries equal 25€. Very disappointed by their welcome everytime! I'm done with this place. Prix astronomiques.
