Seafood restaurant
Oyster bar restaurant
Huitrerie Régis is an exclusive bar located in the stylish neighborhood of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, offering a cozy dining experience and outdoor terrace seating. This small raw bar specializes in serving top-quality oysters sourced daily from the Marennes d'Oleron region on France's Atlantic coast. In addition to a variety of oysters, the menu occasionally features clams, prawns, and sea urchins.
Interior seating area is limited so try and arrive by around 1245pm if you want a table on the inside. There’s 3-4 tables outside the restaurant but might be a bit cold during the winter / spring seasons. Oysters are obviously really good but the sea urchin, if it’s in season, is better than those we have tried in Japan. Service is efficient but takes a bit of time as there’s only 2 of them running the restaurant.
Teck B — Google review
Cute seafood restaurant. Service is a little stretched due to a small staff size. Otherwise the seafood is pretty fresh. Had a variety of oysters, king prawns, snails. The scallops were a little underwhelming for the price.
Darren H — Google review
Quaint spot to sit outside, enjoy amazing oysters and Aligote wine. The caviar did not disappoint and definitely save room for dessert! Be sure and get a reservation in advance! They accept reservations on their Facebook page. Wonderful service!
Kim M — Google review
went just as it opened, maybe was the reason for worse service. The vin de claire N2 was amazing, the smaller one was disappointing tho. Sea urchin was miles off hokkaido ones. Clams 100% recommend it was fresh and sweet
Rex C — Google review
A very small & stylish seafood bistro. The oyster is very fresh and tiger prawn has very strong flavour. Staff are friendly and responsive. I like how they do the smoked salmon fillet with cream to make the taste with more layers.
Nicole W — Google review
I visited at lunchtime and was able to get in right away. There were not many tables inside and the space was narrow, but I didn't feel any inconvenience. I ordered oysters and champagne. The staff was friendly. My food pairing was perfect. It was a happy lunch.
GY C — Google review
Amazing restaurant for seafood lovers. We had the set lunch, I ordered the razor clam, the sauce was lovely and so delicious. The No. 2 oysters were awesome. My husband ordered the smoke salmon and the combination with cream cheese was delicious. The deep fried octopus was very tender but could be more dried. The tiramisu was pretty good and I appreciated the white wine recommended by the server.
Kate L — Google review
This place is so much nice. The oyster is super fresh and owner told us they get it freshly every morning and the one we just order was take out from the ocean just yesterday and they do this everyday which keep the freshness!! What a great French spirit! Love it

Seafood restaurant
Bar
Clamato is a trendy and rustic-chic restaurant that offers a changing menu of innovative seafood dishes and a selection of wines. The restaurant operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations, ensuring that only a fortunate few can savor the daily deliveries from St Jean de Luz, Concarneau, or the Ile dYeu that shape the menu. All ingredients are sourced from traditional and sustainable fishing methods to respect the marine ecosystem.
Clamato is a charming restaurant with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. I loved the small thoughtful details, like the bird nest bread basket, which made the setting feel unique. The staff were warm, attentive, and gave great recommendations that made the meal even better. The food was fresh and flavorful, with simple, clean profiles that really let the fish shine in every dish. It felt both casual and refined at the same time, and I left very satisfied.
Rime A — Google review
Been here twice in the space of 2 months. Enjoyable meal, from the first visit we loved the tarama, carrots, oysters and the maple syrup tart. Coming back the second time some dishes were hit and miss- the doughnut dish, 2/3 didn’t puff up so it was tasteless and a bit dense. The fried hake? was nice but overpriced and felt like a slightly elevated school lunch meal. Will come back to try other dishes next time but the second visit didn’t live up to expectations set by the first!
Dee — Google review
Very enjoyable dinner at Clamato. Walk in only, and queued 10 minutes before opening (7 pm) and got seated promptly after opening. Fresh seafood (crevettes and stone bass were fab), fun vibes and friendly staff made it a very enjoyable dinner. Food portions are small, so expect to order 4 dishes per person excluding dessert.
Amy K — Google review
Its already an institution and a must try if you want TOP NOTCH quality fish with international influences of spices. If you are a „Lou Lou“ type of person then dont go, you will not understand clamato. Worth waiting!
Octo P — Google review
Was here on a Friday for dinner, didn’t need a reservation and was lucky because the restaurant filled up pretty quickly. Ordered a range of dishes including the ceviche, aubergine, aioli, fresh oysters, the dip. Loved all the dishes - they really made good use of the natural flavours in the ingredients. The wonderful meal ended off with their desserts. Watermelon sorbet was a good refreshing end and the maple tart was heavenly. It was overall a very enjoyable meal. Would definitely recommend!!
Gezhi W — Google review
We had a wonderful time. Only had to wait a short while before being seated, but you must arrive at 1900 or there is no chance for a table. Out favorite was the Sea Bass and Clams.
Kristin L — Google review
I think the reviews here are spot on. Decent food but wouldn't call it exceptional. We were lucky to be able to put our name on the list and just wait 30min. Gibon is around the corner so we went there for a snack (highly recommend).
Roman B — Google review
Very nice lunch consisting of a mini seafood tower (half spider crab and Isigny oysters), pike "donuts," white asparagus and smoked haddock, and a cuttlefish puttanesca. The spider crab was so sweet and the crab butter/ innards sauce was amazing. Oysters were plump and creamy, also amazing. Really enjoyed the smokiness of the haddock with the white sauce and the cuttlefish (noodles) puttanesca was a fun play on the traditional sauce. Great wines, fun atmosphere.

Le Mary Celeste is a cozy neighborhood bar in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, owned by Camille Fourmont, who is known for her expertise in natural wines. The bar offers creative light meals alongside cocktails and an extensive list of wines. Open until 2 am, it's a popular late-night venue with a cool crowd and great atmosphere. The tapas-style plates are not only richly flavored but also artistically presented with fresh culinary concepts.
Fantastic experience! The drinks are well done! Thought out, much appreciated. Oysters fresh. Everything perfect. The atmosphere is great, the service is lovely.

Charming wine bar with a great selection and tasty small plates. We really enjoyed both the wines and the food. It’s probably not the place for a full dinner, but it’s perfect for a casual stop or a pre-dinner bite.
Roman B — Google review
We sat here for an early dinner. Their tapas are excellent. Their cocktails are spot on. Great place to people watch.

Cocktails and wine on the street with some lovely people. What more can you ask for. Very relaxed atmosphere and well made drinks. Prices are what you would expect for this area of Paris.

Bit long but food was very creative and tasty. Small portions to order multiple and share. Great cocktails
Diana F — Google review
I loved this restaurant/bar when I was visiting Paris. Very happy someone recommended it to me. The drinks were phenomenal (I got the Gimlet and the South Side Fizz). And the gazpacho was excellent. I'm still dreaming of it. If I lived in Paris, I would absolutely frequent this place. The staff were also lovely. So friendly, which I appreciated as an intimidated solo American traveler trying not to stand out in Paris.
Elizabeth S — Google review
Great place for natural wine and food. The veal tartar was super tasty and 18 month cheeese amazing. Worth the stop for wine and food sharing. Good ambience to sit in the street.
Caco — Google review
We were there on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 for dinner. I don't know what's wrong with this bartender, but he's so rude and seems to have the biggest stick up his… If anyone could recommend a good stick-removal service, I'm sure everyone in this restaurant would greatly appreciate it. The waiters, on the other hand, were all very nice, but I wouldn't come back because of the bartender.

Le Dôme Café is an ornate, art deco brasserie located in Montparnasse, Paris. The café offers a variety of dishes including lobster, seafood platters, and bouillabaisse. It is known for its traditional ambiance and famous red wicker chairs on the small street-side terrace that are perfect for people watching as the sun sets. The café also offers a selection of drinks and snacks, making it a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.
I am in Paris on a business trip and my colleagues and me wanted to eat Bouillabaisse. I chose this restaurant based on the reviews and to be honest it was a total hit. The place is very warm decorated and cozy. From the very beginning, even though unfortunately none of us spoke French, they made us feel at home. The cuisine is absolutely delicious: the dishes we tried were of the highest quality, and the service is fantastic. A special thanks to the waiter Toma who served us tonight, very kind and professional, who made possible that everyone's wishes have been fulfilled, even those outside the menu. You can't ask for more. I would definitely come back next time I will be in Paris and will recommend this fabulous place to all my friends. Thank you for this beautiful evening!!!
Mischa T — Google review
The best seafood I’ve had in Paris. Really fresh ingredients. Simple yet sophisticated flavors. Nice vibe and great dining experience. The dessert here is the cherry on top!! You have to try the Neapolitan cake. Yum!
Ivy Y — Google review
Le Dôme Café has a classic charm and delivers on some key points. The oysters were excellent—fresh, briny, and beautifully presented. Service was highly professional, attentive without being intrusive. The sole, however, was just okay—well-cooked but lacking the finesse I expected. Prices are definitely on the high side, and while the atmosphere helps justify it a bit, the overall value feels slightly stretched. Worth a visit, but maybe more for the experience than the food alone.
Emiliano L — Google review
Le Dôme is, without a doubt, one of the best historic brasseries in Paris—elegant, timeless, and entirely focused on seafood. The fish is impeccably fresh, perfectly cooked, and always the star of the plate. Classic service, white tablecloths, and that old-school Parisian charm you can’t fake. It’s not trendy, it’s not trying to impress—it’s just excellent. A must for anyone who loves seafood and wants to experience a true piece of Parisian culinary history.
Mr Z — Google review
Took the Metro from our Latin Quarter hotel, which brought us with about 50 ft of the front door. My daughter and I both chose selections from the Ernest Menu. Every dish was superb, and the service was over the top. Beautiful, elegant setting. In my opinion, a great value. I have certainly paid more for less in the US! Highly recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Le Dôme Montparnasse – Where Paris Still Feels Eternal After the roar of the Judo World Championships faded, I found myself under the golden lights of Le Dôme, one of Paris’s most iconic brasseries. The corner glowed like a scene from a 1920s postcard — domed glass, art nouveau curves, and the kind of ambiance that makes you stop and take in the magic of Montparnasse at night. I started with an espresso martini that could make Hemingway raise a glass — rich, perfectly balanced, with the aroma of fresh espresso floating above the Paris air. The olives on the side were a subtle but classic touch. For dinner, I ordered the ribeye steak, seared perfectly with a caramelized crust and paired with buttery potatoes and tender haricots verts. Simple, elegant, and executed with the precision that defines old-world French dining. Inside, the candlelight flickered against mirrored walls and red woven chairs. The staff moved like clockwork — gracious, unhurried, confident in the timeless rhythm of a Parisian evening. Final Verdict: Le Dôme isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a mood, a memory, and a piece of Parisian history still beating strong. Come here to celebrate something, or just to remind yourself why Paris will always be Paris. #BillyEats #BillyDrinks #BarScout #FoodieLife #TopGoogleReviewer #GlobalBites #ParisNights #MontparnasseMagic #EspressoMartini

We had dinner at this restaurant on a lovely evening in September 2024. The overall experience was enjoyable and left a positive impression. The service was one of the highlights — the staff were kind, respectful, and attentive without being intrusive. They took the time to explain parts of the menu and made helpful suggestions. The pricing was fair, considering the location and ambiance. As for the restaurant's space, it had a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The lighting and decor created a cozy environment, though it could benefit from a bit more character or uniqueness in design. Still, it was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. If you're looking for a reliable place to enjoy a peaceful dinner with decent food and friendly service, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It may not be the most spectacular culinary destination, but it offers a balanced experience of good service, clean space, and enjoyable meals.

Le Baron Rouge, also known as the Red Baron, is a popular wine bar located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. It's famous for its charming old-school ambiance and extensive selection of French wines served directly from barrel spigots. The bustling atmosphere attracts both locals and tourists looking for an authentic wine bar experience. On weekends from mid-September to late April, visitors can enjoy oysters alongside their wine.
Best wine bar I’ve been to in my life. 60+ options of wines by the glass. If you’re not sure which to select, the friendly staff will help you choose the perfect wine. And the wines are priced very affordably. Also have lots of snacks to pair with your wine. Good mix of locals and foreigners. A delightful stop for anyone who loves wine….

Authentic French wine bar, plenty of choice and affordable prices. There is a choice of charcuterie available to be paired with the wine. Small indoor seating space available and some standing places inside and outside. Highly recommend for wine lovers!

We had such an enjoyable time...easy to tap into your hedonistic side on Sunday morning...wander the nearby open markets and arrive early for oysters and white wine...order your oysters outside, then go inside to get your choice of wine(at least a 1/2 liter)...best is to enjoy outside and people watch.

L'Ecailler du Bistrot is a chic bistro with outdoor seating, offering a delectable selection of shellfish, seafood platters, steaks, and desserts. As the sister restaurant to Le Bistrot Paul Bert, it prides itself on sourcing oysters from the owner's family of sea farmers. The menu features options like sole meuniere for two, spaghetti with lobster, and various oyster selections.
I was taken to this seafood restaurant for a business lunch and was very positively surprised. Oysters were super fresh and grilled fish was also very tasty. I'd definitely come back here

Fresh seafood like we are under the sea. Top notch wine and hospitality. Highly recommended 🙌 I simply love their spaghetti. Will go again for more flavors!!
Annie W — Google review
Ended up here after not getting a table at next-door Bistrot Paul Bert. Even though it's mainly a seafood restaurant, they do serve the famous filet au poivre, which is very worth a try even if at a whopping EUR 44. They also have a much affordable lunch menu. Staff is as friendly as it can be in Paris, heavily judgemental if the filet is not ordered "saignant" (medium rare) or less. Don't let this discourage you, though, the food is good overall!
Lilian K — Google review
Ah, this place. What can I say?!? I had a Parisienne friend tell me to go here for lunch T-Th for exceptionally priced food. I'm thinking this place might have a Michelin star but I'm not positive. For about €20 you can have a started + main or main + dessert. I wasn't thrilled with their dessert but you have such a high bar in Paris. But the main? This is why people go to cooking schools. They had (and I know this sounds weird) mashed potatoes with fish. You never see the fish, it's flaked into the potatoes and the best think I've ever put into my mouth. The 6 oyster starter would be €65 if you came for dinner. This lunch is a fantastic deal and one of our must-goes when in Paris.

Very helpful and kind owner, willing to give us all the necessary information about the dishes we had. We tasted the crab, the big shrimps and a variety of oysters with two glasses of white wine. Everything was excellent 👌

BB oysters were amazing! Not something that we have tried and tasted before. Oyster lovers need to go. The restaurants are very humble. Though it’s near the key tourist spot but it doesn’t mean it’s touristy! Staff were very friendly and nice. Very enjoyable experience as our last meal in Paris! Thank you very much.

Our favorite spot for oysters in Paris! The oysters are natural and the lobster is local to France, not shipped in from Canada or the US. Vlad and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s a small space but cozy and welcoming. I recommend ordering a dozen of the fine oysters, a lobster roll or two (scallop roll is great as well), and a bottle of the rose!

I went to Bulot Bulot last week. The lobster roll is heavenly (using a secret recipe of home made butter). The oysters and prawns are very fresh. Most important of all, the owner/chef is friendly. You could see that he puts in heart in his business. Thank you.

Food was all so good!! All 3 kinda of oyster were great, especially the BB oyster that the owner recommended to taste it with black pepper! Scallops are a must-try, they melt in your mouth with the special sauce! Fish soup, lobster were also fresh & delicious! Dessert was surprisingly good with chantilly on a meringue, a very nice light touch to finish off the meal. Owner was extremely friendly, passionate about the menu & will patiently answer all your questions. He basically works both front & back of the restaurant as a one-man-band, but still managed to serve are food very quickly. Will come back ro try the bulots next time as it wasn't available in January :(

Very cute seafood restaurant with amazingly fresh product. The shop works directly with the producers to ensure to have the best products. We had amazing oysters, bulots and a beaaautiful mayonnaise. Also the crab roll was awesome and buttery. Service was very good, and friendly ! Shoutout to the chef/cook/waiter/cashier that took care of everything and even made us taste THE SPICIEST SPICY SAUCE OF THE SPICY WORLD !!

The BB oysters are incredible, ideally treat yourself to a „grand chelem“ tasting. Your friendly host Vlad will explain you why he serves the tastiest oysters in Paris (spoiler, their raised only in the sea, not on a farm). The lobster rolls are to die for, don’t miss this restaurant while in Montmartre!

We decided to visit here to appreciate raw oysters, following the recommendation of the tour guide book. We had booked online before going to here for dinner. It was a lovely restaurant with fresh and excellent seafood, and friendly and helpful staff. We will come here again. Here is well worth your visit. We would recommend you to visit here.

Fresh seafood in the heart of touristy Paris? You know what you’re getting: great food and service but it comes at a price. For what you get it’s very expensive. The food is fresh and the service is great. We had a great time.

What a cute seafood place. The restaurant has a market feel with fresh seafood all around. You can tell they really love their seafood and value quality. I had 6 oysters split between 2 as a quick eat and it was as fresh as being picked from the ocean. Friendly service and great local feel.

I went there through Google search and I'm very satisfied because I had best lunch more than I expected. Especially, STOPIN who works as a staff is very kind, witty, and friendly. STOPIN and other staff members taught us how to eat more deliciously and treated us friendly every moment. I think it will remain a good memory for a long time because I had more than I expected food and more fun than I expected at this restaurant I visited by chance. If I come to Paris again next time, I hope to come to this restaurant again.

I'll never pass up an oyster stop. This was a great spot to stop before dinner for some oysters and wine. For €15.50, we got 6 oysters and a glass of white wine. I've had cheaper oysters, but the ambiance of this bar felt like you were on the coast slurping oysters while overlooking the sea 🌊 except you actually are in central Paris which isn't a bad option either.

A good casual restaurant with seafood, friendly staff, clean, pleasant atmosphere and reasonable prices. I think the fish soup is the restaurant's signature. At least is my favourite. Open until late, 12-1 am. Highly recommend for oysters and fish soup. The dessert "pain perdu" served warm with cold ice cream, is excellent, generous in portion, and different from other restaurants. Thank you for your services.

I visited this restaurant around 9 PM without a reservation and it was already quite busy, only one or two tables were available. We ordered the moules frites (mussels with fries) and some oysters. Both dishes were absolutely delicious — perfectly balanced, full of flavor, and very fresh. Although the bread and butter were served quite late, the servers were kind and attentive. The recommended wine paired nicely with the dish. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to try moules frites in Paris. If you’re planning to go for dinner, I’d suggest making a reservation. Even better for tourists to stop by this restaurant as it’s within walking distance from louvre.

We’d been searching for a seafood bistro and stumbled upon Huguette quite by accident. A lovely spot with fantastic fresh food (we went for the sharing platter Le Corail and linguine alle vongole; by far the best vongole I had in forever) a fantastic choice! The waiting stuff is attentive and fun! Highly recommended! 👌

We had a very wonderful experience at this restaurant. They offer a wide variety of oysters from all over France, each with distinct taste. If you don't know what to order, the server will recommend you. The restaurant it self is small, staff was professional. They left extremely good impressions. They are very friendly to everybody. I think it is better to book in advance if you have a big group because the restaurant is small. The biggest seat the restaurant can take is only 4 people. We didn't book in advance but the staff got us a table in around 10 minutes wait. Really recommend this place.

This was one of my favorite meals while in Paris! The mussels and the sauce they were in was so DELICIOUS, I could drink it! The mussels were cooked perfectly and while some were small, they give you so many that I didn't mind. We also got the oyster platter which was perfect. The staff was entertaining and friendly. I wish we could go again!

What a perfect Parisian spot! The staff were friendly, and provided quick and excellent service. We shared the moules mariniere, escargot, and everything came out hot and delicious! The bottle of sauvignon de Tourraine we shared was crisp and our glasses were never empty. What a beautiful spot to sit outside, and watch Paris go by. Cannot recommend this place enough for your next visit to Paris!

Amazing experience at Prunier Victor Hugo ! First, the location is outstanding : the building is listed. Yannick Alleno signed the menu, and the chef Hendry Mezah is executing it to perfection..His passsion for product, his aesthetic taste makes the experience unique. First and foremost, the overall service was exceeding expectation. The table side service was the best I can remember. The turbot was great, as expected, but their house sauce was something to die for. The Oeuf Christian Dior was just heavenly. The rest of the food were perfect but the Turbot and the Eggs brought the house down. I need to come back just for the Egg.

We had a quick oysters and caviar with some wine. The staff was lovely to accommodate us. Oysters were very fresh and delicious with house made tartare with truffle sauce. Another beautiful historic restaurant taken over and by a pseudo-cool restaurant group adding little beyond a few extra tables and a lingering sense of indifference. Here you will find poignantly meager “sharing plates” that share mostly disappointment — thin in substance and imagination. The pasta arrived 45 minutes late, overcooked and lukewarm, ceremoniously tossed tableside for no discernible reason other than performance anxiety. The ritual ended, fittingly, with sauce splattered across my pants. The whole experience felt like someone playing dress-up as a fine-dining restaurant — costume and all, but no plot. Pierre Bergé once said: embrace reality, even if it burns. Consider me seared.

This charming French fish restaurant is tucked away in a quiet corner, a bit off the main tourist path. The clientele was entirely local, which added to the authentic atmosphere. We enjoyed tender octopus tacos (meat-free), grilled fish with baby potatoes, a refreshing ceviche, and oysters. Everything was delicious and flavorful, embodying a light Mediterranean style. The waitstaff were attentive, frequently refilling our bread basket without any fuss.

Honestly what a surprise this restaurant was. Everything from the service, the location and finally to the food was impeccable. I rarely give out 5 stars but I really couldn’t find anything that I didn’t enjoy. The “euf parfait” was excellent, reminded me of another of my favorite restaurants in Paris called “Instinct”. Then since I’m on a diet I ordered the vegetarian plate thinking I was gonna be somewhat disappointed, but instead I was shocked to find an amazingly balanced dish with hints of various flavors that married together perfectly. Also the scallops dish was perfectly executed, and the choux pastry at the end was a perfect cherry on top to finish our meal. The wine suggestion from the waiter was also great, and they were very friendly, and the ambiance the restaurant created with the right lighting was truly enjoyable. Strongly suggest this restaurant to anyone, food lovers or people looking for a new experience.

Went there for an “Oyster-Lunch” and were able to chose our own set of Oysters (as long as there were three of each; No. 1 was possible per piece). Good quality of the oysters and dressings, bread on the side with wasabi butter on the side). Dessert perfect asl well, good choices of wine by the glass. Unfortunately, they are not on the sunny side of the street, bit that doesn’t matter much.

A very nice restaurant with excellent wine selection. The name is Oyster in Breton. So a great Oyster bar, nice fish dishes, one meat dish, sucullent cheese and while not normally into deserts, we shared a lemon tart.

Lovely spot that was recommended to me by the Renaissance Republique Hotel. I went for some oysters and drinks late in the evening on weekday. Service was kind, fair, and helpful. Prices for the oysters were fair as well, not too expensive and not too cheap. The kitchen closes shortly after 2230...I did check online before going and did not see that mentioned (maybe I missed it?). The interior of this spot is modern, warm, and has a welcoming appeal. It's the kind of spot you could stay it with a group and enjoy your time. The oysters themselves were of very good quality. Plump and fresh...on some you could see the vegetation from the ocean was still very green, very fresh! The sauce to accompany them (vinegar, shallot, lemon grass, etc.) was also very tasty and paired well with the oyster. I had a half dozen of the No. 3 and No. 5 oysters...No. 3 was almost twice the price but they were twice as large as the No. 5. Definitely on my recommend list if you like oysters and drinks/cocktails. If I am ever back in Paris I'll be sure to try a meal as well.

When reviews say this is the best seafood restaurant in Paris you can believe them. The quality, freshness and quantity of the platters are the best. You need reservations as we watched many a people get turned away, there is limited seating. We’ve eaten seafood towers/ platters in Italy,Spain and France. I’ll take the ones at Langousta in Paris.

This is an excellent place for great chilled seafood platters in a casual setting. The space is small - just 8 tables for 2 - with tables on the sidewalk but effectively inside as it is very well protected by an awning roof and glass walls. After ordering shrimp, crab claws, and oysters, with a glass of Champagne, I was offered a nice plate of charcuterie to enjoy while the seafood was prepared. Everything was very fresh and absolutely delicious, but for me the star of the show was the pink shrimp. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from the United States and came here for dinner. The seafood was absolutely amazing; some of the most fresh seafood we have ever had. The oysters were ginormous for the price and so delicious! We got the seafood tower for two people (the one that comes with half a crab). This was our first time with a seafood tower and we had no idea how to properly remove the crab meat from the crab. The owner sat down with each of us and showed us not only how to do it, but also taught us so we know for next time. The owner and another helpful gentleman removed the crab meat from each of our half a crab and informed us what toppings to mix in for the best flavor. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. One of the best seafood places in Paris! Thank you so much again! See you the next time we visit!!

Great location (like most places around there) but expensive... I got some fish & chips and the fish was just breaded and over cooked. They give a tiny cup of sauce. The guy at the register where you order wasn’t paying attention to anything we were saying. His colleague way in the back was answering us because he saw we weren’t getting any responses.... drinks are pricy as well. They should put a protection between the boat and the side of the dock. There’s a big gap, and if u fall it’s not even in the water it’s on some boat metal parts. So you could really hurt yourself pretty badly.

I am sitting in this tiny little oyster bar in Paris;this was my dinner, and I can't explain how perfect it was with 2 half carafes of Muscadet. Anyone coming to Paris must come here if you love oysters, they are absolutely beautiful! The oyster bar is called Pleine Mer and as the name would suggest, no cooking, all the oysters are in the shell. Very limited menu, but if you only come for the oysters, who cares? And they shuck them as you order!!

We arrived late in the evening, just before closing, and they kindly welcomed us in. The menu was limited to what they had left for the day — but what we had was absolutely amazing. The oysters were unbelievably fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavour. The space has a cosy, nautical charm, and the service was warm, relaxed, and genuinely friendly. Even at the end of a long day, the staff took their time with us and made the whole experience feel special. No Coke Zero here! Offered a Breizh Cola — no idea what it was exactly, but it was ace! A fun little twist that just added to the experience. A real find for anyone who appreciates proper seafood and heartfelt hospitality. Can’t wait to return for the full spread next time.

This french restaurant is a great place to go for a delicious meal in an opulent, art deco setting. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Paris!
Fantastic! After a Sunday walking around Montmartre I arrived around 630 and had a beer before the restaurant opened at 7pm. Complimentary olive tapenade with toasties was a lovely treat to start. Ordered long neck clams, roasted duck and profiteroles/ champagne for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and the duck is the best I’ve had in the city. Wonderful meal and the vibes were immaculate. Alan was such a kind and attentive server. Definitely recommend and hope to come back

Excellent French cuisine - portions are generous, food is delicious, and surprisingly enough I found vegetarian options that I could enjoy! The service was also polite and quick. I ordered two starters (French onion soup and the mini raviolis) and a glass of wine. I was too full for dessert afterwards, but next time I’ll be coming for just a small dish and dessert (must. have. Profiteroles.) I love that the seating is small and close together. It’s an intimate vibe here. And you can sit “inside” but still feel like you’re outside, with the large terrasse. Take a trip to the bathroom downstairs - it’s beautiful, and very art deco style! My friend who lived in Paris for 8 years brought me here and I can’t wait to come back. Great place for beautiful & cozy atmosphere, good wine, and classic French foods.

Amazing French brassiere in central Paris. The decor and ambience is great. The food is delicious, generous portions and very good prices for food of such quality in the city centre. Every little detail was curated. The staff was super attentive and friendly. If you are looking for an authentic brassiere experience in Paris, I'd hardly recommend checking Vaudeville out.

Perfect balance between classic French charm and modern finesse. Highly recommend Vaudeville for anyone seeking authentic Parisian cuisine with impeccable execution.

Fantastic experience! The restaraunt is gorgeous and the food is fantastic. The passion fruit martini is one of the best drinks I have ever had. The pepper steak was seasoned perfectly. The fish and chips were crisp and light. The perfect place for a date night!

When I found out that Vaudeville specialized in seafood, I had to try. I wasn’t disappointed. The technical execution for the filet de bar was perfect with a warm plate that kept the sauce at a perfect temperature. These details matter. So delicious. Also got the crevettes roses and Chablis. Service was great with people who were all super friendly. Festive atmosphere but not overly loud. highly recommend.

Typical crowded French brasserie with a 100-year old decor. Food is fine but there are better places. On the other side it is not overly expensive which may explain the success. Been there, done that.

Nestled in the vibrant Rue de Buci, Atlas is a delightful seafood brasserie that offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for both locals and curious travelers. While it may not be exclusively a seafood restaurant, its impressive selection of oysters and seafood platters makes it a must-visit spot in Paris's 6th arrondissement. A favorite among those exploring the Saint Germain district, Atlas buzzes with energy as patrons enjoy delicious appetizers or full meals while soaking up the lively ambiance.
Dining at L’Atlas in Paris was an absolute delight from start to finish! The oysters were incredibly fresh and briny — you could taste the ocean in every bite. The lobster was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor, complemented beautifully by the rich, buttery sauce. The pasta tied everything together — fresh, perfectly al dente, and full of that comforting, authentic Parisian touch. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, and the service was warm, attentive, and truly made the experience special. Whether you’re craving top-quality seafood or just looking for a memorable Parisian meal, L’Atlas is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back!

We really enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. We were seated very quickly on the terrace, and since it’s not on a busy street, there weren’t many cars passing by during dinner, which made it quite relaxing. The cheese plate was nice with a good variety of choices. The mussels were a bit on the salty side, but we really liked their seafood salad — it was an unexpected highlight and definitely worth trying.

The kitchen is very good here. From seafood to the beef tartare. Everything was fresh and well prepared. I knew we were in a good restaurant when everyone around us were French. My wife ordered a carafe of wine that she did not like. A first for her as she is knowledgeable about wine. I told the waiter it was our mistake and would gladly pay for it and ordered something different. When the check came they did not charge us for the first carafe. We had an enjoyable experience at L Atlas.

On our first afternoon in Paris, we were exhausted after a long flight, roaming around and stumbled on the most adorable street, lined with cafes. As we looked at tables, Phillipe at Atlas offered us a great 2 top. From that moment on we experienced great wine, great service by Pedro, and great vibes! Charcuterie for the win! So much so that 2 nights later we found ourselves back, this time for an early dinner. Pedro recognized us immediately and remembered the wine we had and was just great in ensuring we had a great table and were well served. This place is affordable, perfect vibes, great food and was exactly the experience we hoped for. Merci beaucoup, Pedro & Phillipe!

The restaurant exudes an authentic Parisian atmosphere with a terrace where seasonal specialties are served.

Lunch with family and friends. The Good Great atmosphere, busy and bustling, full of locals. Food was very good, we had fish, prawns, fish soup, all good. Everyone was happy. We had a lovely waitress. We broke a glass, no issue at all. The Bad The bread was slow to come. They cut it by hand in a central area so you could see the process, which involved using old bread served to others who did not consume the lot. The ugly They squeezed the bread, to check it I guess.

Pro: Ambience was nice. Escargots as entrée were great. Main dish (T-Bone steak) was delicious. Contra: Main dish was also quite small, especially for the price. Chocolate mousse as dessert was below expectations in taste. Worst: despite informing from the start that there was no soap in the womens toilets, at the end of the 2h stay they hadn't refilled it yet. All in all: was okay but not worth the high price, we won't return.

There are not enough good things to say about Le Stella. Le Stella is a Paris visit must! The atmosphere, the waitstaff, and the food are all amazing. The atmosphere is both a relaxed street corner cafe and a five star level fine dining experience anytime of day. Oyster bar restaurant
Galette Café is a modern venue with an industrial vibe that specializes in Breton specialties such as cider and oysters. Unlike crepes, galettes are savory dishes, with the most famous being the complete galette filled with ham, cheese, and an egg. The menu ranges from simple options like galette-saucisse to gourmet choices like butter-cooked scallops with leek puree. The service is exceptional and fast if you arrive early.
We ordered crepe complete and it was really delicious. It has ham, emmental and an egg. The dough was from buckwheat. Normally I find buckwheat somewhat bland, but this combination was very balanced. Fast and polite service, I’d recommend it for everyone! Ps. Other crepes looked fantastic too!

Cute creperie, nice service, good atmosphere. I got a sweet crepe (chocolate sauce + banana, bourbon vanilla ice cream supplement) and my partner got a savory one (forget the name but included salmon, potatoes, creme fraiche). The sweet one was pretty standard for me (good, executed well but not particularly special) but the savory one which I tried a bit of seemed to be more interesting and unique in flavor, texture. Would definitely get a savory one again if i had the chance.

One of the best galettes I've had in Paris. Everything is available gluten free if you use the buckwheat crepe. My mom and I split a tartiflette galette and words cannot describe how amazing it was. Absolutely one of the best things I've eaten in Paris. My daughter had the stewed apple crepe (with buckwheat to maintain gf) and it was also excellent. This restaurant is worth the stop, regardless if you have Celiac, gluten sensitivity, or anything. Truly delicious.

While the service can be slow at times, the friendly staff makes up for it with their attentiveness.
Awesome hidden gem we found! If you love seafood this is THE PLACE! the selection is not large by any means but the food is fantastic and service charming. Overall good. The oysters were amazing as was the fish soup. I was a little disappointed in the lobster it felt under seasoned to me maybe because it was steamed rather than grilled which is what I am use to. The atmosphere is ok. For service it was ok but they get a lot of take out orders which seems to take their attention.

Simple Seafood sold sans surcharge. I hadn’t realised that this is a chain, the staff were welcoming and there were English menus, a quaint touch in this day of Google Translate. The vin du maison paired well with both entree and main. Sadly there was no time for dessert as we had to dash off for another reservation.

It could have been better. And it should be. Nice little oyster bar and restaurant, with a beautiful ambience. Service is disorganised and poor, despite Carlos on top on everyone and everything. He does a great job, and the young waiters are going to learn and improve soon, they're just young and inexperienced. They clearly are being trained on the job, but it's a Saturday night! My oysters were ok. Nothing impressive, they were good and clean, thank you. Wine at the glass was also good for the very reasonable price. Thank you. Fish and chips were, unfortunately, terrible. The banter was not cooked and I guess the fish was not fried at all. Surprisingly, the upper part came with some burnt spots, like if they tried to cook the bantered fish by throwing it under a grill? Not good.
Daniele G — Google review
A gorgeous, small, and tastefully decorated oasis in the Boulevard St Germain, an area crowded with terrible restaurants and overpriced tourist traps. An absolutely fantastic place for seafood lovers. They offer a great selection of white wines at very reasonable prices. The service was very friendly, but also slow and not very competent. They forgot half of our order. We thought they were just being slow so we waited for a while, to realise that they actually had forgotten it. By the time it arrived, we had almost finished our bottle of wine, which was unfortunate. This is the reason why I'm not giving it five stars. In any case, this is a restaurant I'd like to visit every time I go to Paris.

Le Comptoir du Relais is a charming French bistro located in the heart of Paris. It offers a delightful dining experience with its outdoor seating, serving classic breakfast, traditional French meals, and delectable desserts. Chef Yves Camdeborde's innovative approach to bistro cuisine has made this restaurant a standout in the culinary scene. During lunchtime, it operates as a simple brasserie offering well-priced set menus featuring traditional French dishes like foie gras and steak frites.
Nice spot in a bustling area. Restaurant was not fancy but had a casual bistro feel. The gentleman who waited on us was courteous and helped us with our escargots (memorable because the snail went flying!). We ordered the dozen snails (fun and tasty for our first time), terrine plat du jour (lovely flavours see description in photo) and beef cheek stew (tender meat, vegetables were cooked just right). We also had unlimited bread (realized this is the norm here in Paris). We had a couple glasses of wine. Nice place. We came early so it was quiet but I think it would have been busy later on in the evening and would have good vibes.

A delightful authentic French dining experience at the bistro!  The escargots and the beef tartare were well prepared that changed my mind about them. And the smooth red wine was a perfect pairing. It's a good choice at the hustling street-side atmosphere.

came here after not eating all day. Was half dead of exhaustion and starvation, so I ordered the mac & cheese and vanilla rice pudding. The second the mac & cheese hit my taste buds exploded into a world of cheesiness and exquisite delight. I’m not kidding when I say this is the best mac & cheese I’ve ever had. And the rice pudding was good too.! 😂😋

The food was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. The escargots were nicely done, and everything was well presented. That said, I didn’t really get that wow factor I was hoping for the dishes were solid, but nothing stood out as exceptional. I left feeling a bit underwhelmed, to be honest. Would I come back? Probably not, I’d rather explore other spots in the area next time. Would I recommend it? Yes, especially if you’re after a casual French bistro vibe in Saint-Germain.

Good atmosphere. Good was terrible. This is the most dry croque Madame I’ve ever had. There was no bechamel, nothing. If this is the location Anthony bourdain raved about, this must have lost its sparkle. Waste of money for a dry ham and cheese. The free bread they serve vs the sliced bread shown would have helped.

Really great food and a good and fast service. It is possible that you have to wait in line for a table to be free, but no one is rushed after being sited.

The combination of time and a change of ownership has not been kind to this formerly wonderful bistro. While we were happy to find it on a Sunday night after wandering the 6th looking desperately for somewhere open to eat, there was much lacking in the meal, despite the efforts of a kind staff. Plates were sloppily prepared, sides were the same across several meals, and the food lacked the energy that it used to have. But the rose was decent and we had a good time. Eat there only if necessary.

First night dinner in Paris, absolutely fabulous food and service. This was recommended by a Parisian friend of mine, who also writes for a prominent culinary publication. Amazing experience. This is a quaint family-owned restaurant in the Passy neighborhood, just a 20 minute walk across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower, but it's worlds away from the chaos. Before visiting the nearby Maison de Balzac, I stopped by for lunch, and I loved this place! The restaurant was quite full when I visited, so I chose to sit outside facing the church to watch the world go by. The seafood dishes were fresh and tasty, and the wine was great too. Though what I loved about this place was the friendly and personal service by the maitre d’. There are many misconceptions about bad services in Paris, but as someone who travels to Paris annually, I often think the bad services apply to touristy restaurants/ areas. If you go off the beaten track, there are many lovely local bistros that are friendly and professional, and this is one of them.

We found this gem as we were walking through the streets and decided to stop by for a bite… WOW what a delicious treat it was! Asked for a cocktail and the server made me something with sour Amaretto and eggs white which it was exactly what I needed and I didn’t know it! Wife has wine which she was loving it as well. We ordered oysters and the pumpkin with mushrooms soup and was out of this world. We ended our small dinner with panna cotta with passion fruit and mango, excellent choice to ended! The attention was great and our server was kind and funny, loved their restaurant and there is a no doubt to be back whenever we are able to!

The menu features an impressive selection of seafood dishes, including Salmon, Ceviche, Tuna Tataki, and Octopus, all expertly prepared to perfection. However, the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Chocolate cake paired with a unique matcha-infused celery ice cream. While the combination may seem unusual, it proved to be a delightful fusion of flavors that tantalized our taste buds. The wine pairing was expertly curated, enhancing each dish and elevating the overall dining experience. Alicia and Vincent provided exceptional service, attending to our needs with professionalism and grace, further enhancing our enjoyment of the evening. We came to this place for an oyster lunch. The staff (I don’t know, maybe it’s the owner?) was incredibly friendly and polite. We each ordered a small glass of wine and a dozen oysters — the first ones on the menu, for €29. The person who served us definitely deserves a special mention — was extremely generous. He treated us to what seemed like a large glass of wine each, and even offered us additional oysters, different from the ones we ordered — very plump and rich in flavor. Until today, I thought all oysters tasted the same, with the only difference being the size. Turns out, the more expensive ones (almost twice the price) taste completely different — they’re much richer, bigger, and meatier. I don’t take this kind of treatment for granted. It was such a lovely experience — especially considering Paris doesn’t always have the best reputation when it comes to service. A big thank you to the owner for the wonderful hospitality. Five stars from me!

We had a very wonderful experience at this restaurant. They offer a wide variety of oysters from all over France, each with distinct taste. If you don't know what to order, the server will recommend you. The restaurant it self is small, there are only two staffs, the one who makes the food, and another serving and taking orders. I love them so much, they are very great people.

Perfect place to taste super fresh oysters from Normandy and all of France. Great friendly service makes you feel that you are at your best friends place. Ahmed made the experience very special for us and taught us the right way to carve and enjoy the oyster. The menu is focused and can be paired with some of the finest white wines. The place is small so reserve a table but the welcome is warm - enjoy !!

It’s a cute little shop serving some of the best oysters I’ve had. Our server was so nice and helpful in educating us about the oysters, how to taste them, and how they are different. Definitely recommend stopping by!
Peter R — Google review
The service was wonderful! The gentleman got a nice sense of humour, fluent in English! (Speak Bonjour if you can!) The oysters were from different parts of France, incredibly fresh and you don't need any lemon juice, tobasco, black pepper or cocktail sauce to enjoy them! They do provide them though. The minimum order is a dozen of oysters. There was a platter with smoked salmon, prawns and bulots. Bulots were very tasty, I love them the most! Of course they are fresh from the sea, but they also get a balance of sweetness and salty-ness from seawater. Certainly not those chewy molluscs you will find in supermarkets. The smoked salmon is smoked by themselves, with pink peppercorns on them. The prawns were perfect! (I like the smaller ones though!) The fish soup is also a must try! It comes with bread and it ends your meal warmly. They got a selection of French wines and soft drinks as well!

Amazing experience. Little hole in the wall oyster restaurant. Owner was so nice and informative. We sat by the window table and shared two dozen oysters, white wine, and the bruschetta. Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent oysters!!! Best ones I have had in Paris so far. The white fish bruschetta is also perfect with right balance of oiliness and saltiness. Prepare the time to wait for food because the excellent chef works on one man band! It’s definitely worth it!!!!!!!!

Fichon is a unique fish cellar in Paris that focuses on serving fresh seafood with an Asian influence. The menu, which changes daily, offers a small selection of creatively prepared fish and shellfish dishes, blending traditional and original recipes. The chef's expertise in Asian cuisine adds a distinctive touch to the offerings. Guests praise the restaurant for its delicious and innovative seafood dishes, including elevated sashimi with a French twist.
Fichon is well situated in the heart of Paris 18th district specializing in sea food with an extensive wine list. The quality of the food is excellent and the dishes are creative, tasty and delicious! The pairing with a nice white wine is always a good experience and the overall price was not too expensive. Staff is quite friendly too!

A lovely discovery for fish lovers! I’m really happy to have found this charming fish-focused restaurant. The menu is small, with about four or five main courses to choose from, which usually means everything is fresh and well-considered. I went for the tataki, which was beautifully prepared and came with an incredibly fresh and flavorful salad—light, balanced, and satisfying. As a starter, I picked the shrimp dish (because that was the one French word I recognized on the menu 😅). It turned out to be a cold dish, which surprised me—I wish I had known that in advance, but it was still tasty. They also have an impressive selection of natural wines, which really complemented the meal. We were a group of six friends, and everyone enjoyed their food and the cozy atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you're into quality seafood and good wine.

Le Duc is a renowned seafood restaurant in Paris, known for its elegant yet down-to-earth ambiance. The wood-lined interior resembles a ship's cabin, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. With a focus on fresh and simple preparations, the restaurant offers an array of fish and shellfish dishes that have garnered praise from seafood enthusiasts. Its location evokes a seaside feel in the heart of Paris, making it an ideal choice for upscale business lunches or special occasions.
Great traditional high end seafood. For our meal, I think they forgot our main courses (no apologies either) until we reminded them, so it took a while longer and ended up being a 2.5 hour dinner. Otherwise service was very friendly and good.

We found this spot by accident. Didn’t have any reservations but they were kind enough to let us in at 8.30pm. We had the langusitine- absolutely perfect , well cooked and not over cooked. We met another lovely couple and conversations were good. The waiter was fabulous , we even took a picture with him afterwards. I highly recommend

So all my stars go for the team that found the table last minute, not by the bar. But…it is actually just a bistro with a full restaurant price. Because, first of all, the dishes have no creativity in them. Secondly, the service is just in taking your order and delivering it sooner or later to the table. You need to catch them. Advice to the guests: do not take the green salad. It is very cheap simple leaves and….that’s it. I had to ask for a vinegar or smth, as it is like literally just leaves… Like the ones you get half kilo in a simple grocery next to you. They did wash it. I’d go for the raws and the mains. We really thought it will be like Langosteria in Milan but even they add some personal touch to the dish. The monkfish Provençal was chewy.

The surprise “not so surprising” of our trip. I read and heard a lot of good things about Le Duc, but we weren’t expecting it to be that good. Being big seafood lovers we are always looking out for the best spots and this is definitely among them. From the moment we walked in we were treated extremely well. The clams with wasabi and the langoustine tartar were out of this world. The sole blew my mind, about perfection, all paired with some great champagne. We even got our Michelin guide signed by the owner, you guys rock! We will come back over and over again
Roman H — Google review
This was probably the best meal I ever recall enjoying. This is French culinary arts at its finest. The food is primarily seafood. Here are my recommendations: For appetizers: langoustine with wasabi. calamari with garlic. sea bass with garlic toast. shrimp with shisho and uni cream. crab salad. For entrees: gougenette de sole. john dory with vodka butter. sole meunière. langoustine with ginger. lobster with orange sauce. saffron and langoustine with tagliatelle. I had the sea bass with garlic toast. Very light but primed the palate. I followed with Sole meunière. My wife Amy enjoyed the langostine tartare with Iranian loomi and followed with the lobster in orange butter sauce. Photos of the mains are attached. Desert was mixed fruit and cappuccino. Service was impeccable. Not inexpensive but well worth the cost of the meal. If I were visiting Paris, I would suggest booking this restaurant ahead of time. You do not want to visit Paris without dining here at least once!

Unfortunately, the date we went the lunch menu just wasn’t up to expectation, especially with the price tag and the reputation It comes with. The coffee and tea machine was also so broken, so I didn’t know how to finish my dessert without my coffee.

Fancy place for fancy people, many International and English-speaking. Beautiful, charming and sophisticated room, intimate and special, with an enticing menu of fish and seafood. Unfortunately, the dishes themselves were quite bland and unremarkable - notably under-seasoned and without any zip, contrast or distinction. It’s tepid, which may suit this crowd’s palette and deliver “quality”-sourced items in an inoffensive and very safe way. The fried calamari was good. It’s a pity, the room has great charm (and especially the bathroom downstairs, be sure to descend the staircase), and there’s a vibe of comfort and upscale casual elegance but the cuisine needs a shot of Adrenalin, but maybe not for grandma taking her daughter to a grown up dinner. Welcome and service were initially warm and helpful but then our waiter disappeared and we had to ask for our check 3 times and wait over 25 minutes and were only able to settle our bill by leaving our table and standing by the entrance for yet another other 10 minutes. We seriously considered simply leaving, which we’ve never done in our long lives of eating in high and low restaurants around the world. Inexcusable and not even a cursory apology was offered. I suppose they’ll carry on successfully with their selected clientele and travelers who have been told a visit is all that but don’t come here for the food or genuine care.

Probably one of the best fish restaurants in Paris. The restaurant is really cosy, good selection of organic wines and food. Staff really helpful and the chefs were just amazing. Some of the freshest seafood in Paris ! (maybe even a bit too much for my taste) If you’re craving some seafood in its raw form that’s the perfect place to go. All the dishes were made so the taste stays true to the ingredients.

My wife and I had an amazing meal at Sur Mer; it was the best one during our two week trip to France! The restaurant and atmosphere were cozy and comfortable, our server was really friendly and helpful. The menu was in French and English, featuring numerous seafood and fish small plates. We had oysters to start that were sublime, followed by four dishes. The stand outs were the lobster in shrimp bisque and monkfish ceviche. House wine was delicious; the whole meal was very good value for money. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Had fresh seafood each day, so the options change. We had 1/2 crab, sea snails, cockles, and crayfish/lobster platter. And then a carpaccio. We had a glass of cider each. The seafood were good, and they come with 3 different sauce, a Thai style one, a gochujang mayo sauce, and a butter with seaweed. The carpaccio was amazing. The sauce was really refreshing and pair with fennel and mustard leaves was amazing. Loved it.

Seulement Sea is a seafood restaurant in Paris that serves up fresh, delicious food at reasonable prices. The menu features recipes for fried mussels, fried smelts, and fish and chips, all of which are definitely worth trying. The owners and their staff are always happy to chat, making this a great spot for dinner.
There are perhaps hundreds of hidden gems in Paris, and tonight we were lucky to find one tucked away a block from our hotel in Saint Germain. Maybe it’s the fish monger across the street that provides only the freshest catch, or maybe it’s the black and white vintage surfing photos that adorn the minimalist walls, but the place has class and charm. I had the whole roasted brim, and my wife had the mussels in cream sauce and fries. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable. With only about 12 tables, it would be easy to walk right past (but don’t do that!). This place really is a gem!

Wonderful restaurant! Sometimes you’re in the mood for seafood and this place didn’t disappoint! Food was flavorful and unique. The bottle of wine we got was lovely. Today the weather was rain and chilly but inside all you felt was warm and comfortable. We tried dishes with pink shrimp, crab, mussels, and stingray… all were great. I personally loved the mussels in cream sauce. We were greeted by a very nice owner who explained the menu and gave us great suggestions. He’s well traveled, so he understands good quality dining. He took very good care of us. As spoiled New Yorkers we had a blast here and you will too.

Wow what a find! I was served with a starter of crunchy bread with anchovy tapenade. Then i ordered the cream mussels suggested by the waitress. Delicious cream onion sauce with fresh mussels and the most prefect crunchy fries. I enjoyed this meal very much, it was very filling for 1 person. The restaurant itself is small and cosy and clean. Highly recommend!

Our last dinner in Paris and this place did not disappoint. Since it was Saturday evening, most restaurants were booked but the host was able to get us a table. We had the oysters and it was fresh. I had the special (scallops) and my wife had the mussels (cream). They were both delicious. I would love to try their escargot but they were not available that evening.

I am thrilled I found this spot through research on Youtube. This restaurant was everything I NEEDED while in Paris. I love fish and seafood and I won't lie, I was kind of over all of the carbs in my meal. The restaurant is absolutely stunning. It is super clean and sleek. The waiter was very knowledgeable and not only helped us order but chose wine to pair with our dishes. We were first served crisp crackers with an olive and sardine? tapenade. So tasty - I could have drank the tapenade alone! We then got into our dishes which we split throughout the rest of the meal. We ordered the salmon rilette, the mussels in white wine with French fries, the crab meat with apple and avocado and the chocolate mousse. The salmon rilette was a mix of smoked and non-smoked salmon. It was so fresh and surprisingly had a lot of depth and flavour. It woke up our tastebuds! The crab meat with apple and avocado was a favourite of our waiter who suggested it and I totally understand why. It was light, and refreshing. Apple truly pairs so well with fish! The mussels in white wine is always a favourite of mine and these did NOT disappoint. I always scoop out the mussels and let them stew in that delicious base. Absolutely stunning! Lastly, the chocolate mousse was a great surprise. My husband and I don't really enjoy chocolate (weird, I know) HOWEVER; this was rich but not too heavy and oh so creamy. It was an absolute delight. We left with full stomachs and very happy hearts. Seulement Sea is a spot everyone should check out - even non seafood lovers. Everything was so fresh and flavourful I bet it could make anyone learn to love the sea. Be sure to book a reservation as it is a smaller restaurant. You will NOT be disappointed :)

What more can you ask for after a long eventful day of city gazing, museum queueing and basically walking, walking and WALKING, than to just sit down, unwind and enjoy a fresh batch of oysters alongside with your loved one/s. The business seems to have been running for years, and we can see why. The service and homey atmosphere hit the right spot to enjoy a delicious and cozy meal outside. The prawns, mussels, and oysters are well cleaned, prepared, and seasoned. There are seasonal items and formulas that you can enjoy, and it's just an overall experience that you won't regret.

An unforgettable evening at a true Parisian institution! Stepping into La Coupole is like walking back in time to the glamorous Roaring Twenties. The grand Art Deco dining hall is absolutely magnificent, buzzing with an energy that is both elegant and historic. It is the quintessential Parisian brasserie experience from the moment you arrive. We dove into the menu by ordering a few classics, and each was a testament to French culinary tradition. The seafood platter was a highlight—the oysters were impeccably fresh with a clean, briny flavor, and the whelks were tender and delicious. The French onion soup was perfection in a bowl; a deeply rich, savory broth hidden beneath a glorious, bubbly cap of perfectly browned Gruyère cheese. We also savored the foie gras, which was silky and decadent, beautifully paired with a fruit compote. Even the quality of the bread and the accompanying Charentes-Poitou butter spoke volumes about their commitment to quality. For the main course, we had the pan-seared sea bass served over orzo. The skin was wonderfully crisped and offered a fantastic texture. While the fish itself was a little drier than I would have preferred, this minor point was easily overlooked when enjoyed with the incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked orzo it rested upon. Overall, the experience was absolutely 5-star. The service was professional and attentive, and the atmosphere is simply unmatched. Dining at La Coupole is a must-do for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the history, culture, and flavor of Paris.

Café de la Paix is a historic establishment located at Place de l'Opera, offering a luxurious dining experience with views of the opera house. The café, which opened in 1862, has been meticulously restored to its original Napoleon III decor. It has become an integral part of Paris's artistic scene and offers a menu featuring French dishes such as foie gras, tartare, sole, and onion soup au gratin prepared by Chef Laurent Andre.
The Café de la Paix is a Parisian classic. While it is certainly not the cheapest spot in the city, the experience justifies the price. The staff is warm and welcoming, the setting is absolutely stunning, and the dishes are both refined and delicious. A place where history, elegance, and hospitality meet perfectly.

Café de la Paix offers a truly beautiful setting: elegant, historic, and full of Parisian charm. The soupe à l’oignon was excellent, rich in flavor and perfectly comforting. This historic restaurant, once frequented by Tchaikovsky, is absolutely worth visiting for its stunning interior and old-world charm. The decor is magnificent - ornate ceilings, gilded details, and an atmosphere that instantly transports you to another era. It's also a perfect spot to rest your feet after shopping and enjoy a glass of wine or coffee in beautiful surroundings. The service is warm and friendly, and whie it's a white tablecloth kind of place, the dress code isn't strict. Casual chic is fine, just skip the shorts and t-shirts so you don't break the spell of the elegant setting. As for the food...unfortunately, it's subpar by Paris standards. You're not coming here for a great meal, but rather for the ambiance and history. Think of it as a feast for the eyes, not the palate.

Elegant Ambience and Excellent Coffee in a Classic Parisian Setting Reservation & Arrival: Finding a table at Café de la Paix was easy, and the staff greeted us with warmth and professionalism. Their polite demeanor and attentiveness made us feel genuinely welcome from the start. Seating was comfortable and well-spaced, ideal for a relaxed breakfast or coffee break. Ambience & Cleanliness: The café was spotless and beautifully maintained, offering an atmosphere that was both authentic and sophisticated. The classic interior design, complete with ornate details and elegant finishes, was reminiscent of the grandeur of 19th-century Paris — almost evoking the decorative richness of the Vatican in its opulence and attention to detail. The lighting and temperature were perfect, contributing to a comfortable, serene setting amid the lively energy outside. Service Quality: The service was attentive, courteous, and efficient. Staff were well-informed about the menu and ingredients, and they even customized one of our orders, showing flexibility and genuine care for guest satisfaction. Their professionalism added refinement to the entire experience. Food Presentation & Taste: We ordered two coffees, one crêpe for my daughter, and an omelette to share. The coffees were excellent — rich, aromatic, and served at the ideal temperature. The crêpe, however, was underwhelming, lacking the finesse expected from such a renowned establishment. The omelette looked beautiful and was well-presented, though its flavor was average, more visually appealing than memorable in taste. Despite these small drawbacks, the presentation across all items was polished and elegant. Beverage Experience: The coffee stood out as the highlight — perfectly balanced, aromatic, and served promptly. Water and basic refreshments were attended to consistently, ensuring comfort throughout the meal. Value & Price: The pricing felt slightly high for the overall food quality, but reasonable given the café’s historic location, refined ambience, and exceptional service. There were no billing issues, and the overall experience felt worthwhile, particularly for the atmosphere. Overall: Café de la Paix delivers an authentic Parisian experience defined by its elegant setting, excellent coffee, and polished service. While the food could benefit from greater attention to flavor, the café’s ambience and hospitality more than justify a visit. It’s a charming and iconic stop that captures the essence of classic Paris. ⭐ 4 / 5

Came for the oysters, surprised by the clams and razor clams 🌟🌟🌟We came in near the afternoon close time, the lady was not happy that we order for another round but let us have it nonetheless, for which I am grateful because otherwise we would not have tried their razor clams which taste amazing. We would come back again!

Very fresh and delicious seafood. We tried several types of oysters, and the most expensive ones (double the price of the others) were quite average, not worth the extra cost. The salmon and clams, however, were excellent. There was only one waitress working, and the cook helped serve tables occasionally, which wasn’t enough since the place was full and people were placing many orders. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely go back for quality, fairly priced seafood."

Stopped here for a quick oyster lunch and was not disappointed. We got a selection of oysters on recommendation and they were the highlight for sure. We also got the razor clams and raw salmon - the salmon was phenomenal. It was very cute and quiet and a laid back atmosphere which we really enjoyed, and would return.

Some of the best oysters I’ve ever had! The presentation of the food was just beautiful and the service was exceptional. Our waiter was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in Paris.

One of my favorite seafood restaurant in Paris. I’ve been going here since 2021 and have eaten numerous times. Good quality seafood and wine. Staff are very warm, nice and speak good English. The price is unbelievably inexpensive. My favorites are the garlic butter clam and razor clams.

We discovered an exceptional restaurant on a dreary day and were delighted by the experience. The menu offered an array of delectable options that we savoured, although I cannot recall every dish we ordered. The hostess was incredibly kind and offered custom recommendations based on our preferences. The food was rich in flavour and diversity, and we enjoyed the white wine so much that we ordered another bottle. The warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant enhanced our overall enjoyment, and we had the option of dining outside if the weather was suitable 😉

Loved it. Best place to go. A fine sea bar next to the Louvre. Nice to come all day long and especially with good friends for dinner. Mani thanks to Antoine and his bunch of friends ! They should open an "underground" speakeasy very soon. Can't wait to enjoy it.

Breizh Café Paul Bert | La Crêpe Autrement in Paris offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious galettes and crepes. The herring galette is particularly flavorful and well-balanced, while the special crepe of the day is a must-try with its unique combination of citron and yuzu cream, komquat, pomelo, and lemon caviar. The staff is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
This is my first time trying out crepe in Paris. Of course it is very different from Japanese crepes that I am used to eating. So if you have crepes you had in US or in Asia, just know it's very different. I had a vegetable crepe with goat cheese. This dish requires you eat with "mindfulness" (slowly, carefully paying attention to the tastes in your mouth) because flavors are gentle and not bold. But because of that, you can taste the vegetables and how they play with goat cheese in your mouth. For dessert, my friend and I shared rhubarb crepe. it was delicious but not so special. The restaurant staff are very nice and gave us enough space and time to enjoy the meal despite we came to the restaurant late. Would I go there again? Yes absolutely.

Ah perfectly textured and wonderfully filled galettes and crêpes! I have to say I enjoyed their banana and caramel one most of all, one of the best caramel sauces I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The server was very kind and the jazz being played while it was rainy afternoon made for a wonderful lunch in the city.

Visiting from Australia, we happened upon the Breizh Cafe. After a little research, we booked and had a delightful lunch. The galettes are traditional crepes, both savoury and sweet, all delicious. The staff are excellent, the location reasonably quiet and pleasant. The menu is great, very reasonably priced, supported by a great wine list, and prepared and served by professionals. Highly recommended. MC

After living in Brittany I became very picky with the galettes & crepes I am eating so obviously I was a bit skeptical when I heard about a mix with Japanese food. However, the food is delicious and everything blends perfectly. My friends and I really enjoyed the dishes and I would definitely return next time I am in Paris ❤️. Best served with some nice cider. Ps: my friend said that vegetarian options are amazing too

Au Petit Riche is a traditional brasserie that offers private lounges for a more intimate dining experience. It specializes in French delicacies and features an extensive selection of wines from the Loire Valley. Recently, a new Bouillon Chartier has opened opposite Gare de l'Est, providing affordable classic French bistro dishes. One customer enjoyed their visit to Au Petit Riche, praising the excellent food and outstanding service.
A dive into the past, from the décor to the waiters’ uniforms. Recommended by a French colleague, every dish turned out to be exceptional (including the onion soup that my colleagues had, which was truly amazing). A beautiful finish with crème brûlée! Highly recommended! Thank you also to our waiter for her kindness and all the suggestions!
Gabriele G — Google review
We decided to visit the restaurant after hearing positive reviews. We arrived as a party of two for dinner, curious to see if it would live up to its reputation. For starters, we ordered the French onion soup and a roasted beet salad with two types of beets. Initially, the soup looked promising – it was served in a large bowl and had a creamy appearance. However, we quickly discovered that the bowl was mostly filled with caramelized onions and barely any broth. As a result, the dish ended up being overly sweet and unbalanced, almost to the point of being difficult to eat. Essentially, it didn't resemble a soup at all. The roasted beet salad, on the other hand, was enjoyable. The combination of flavors was interesting, mainly thanks to the cheeses that accompanied the dish. The presentation was also appealing. While the salad was pleasant, it didn't stand out with particularly unique flavors. For the main courses, we chose the traditional veal stew and a sea bass fillet. Both dishes were well-prepared and flavorful, and we genuinely enjoyed them. To accompany our meal, we ordered a chilled white wine, which turned out to be a great choice and reasonably priced. Overall, the experience was somewhat mixed. While the main courses and wine were satisfying, the disappointing onion soup left us feeling that the meal didn’t fully meet our expectations.

One of the worst dining experiences we had during our two weeks in Paris. "Au Petit Riche" We waited at the front to be checked in while other groups walked straight past us. Booking felt pointless — would’ve been quicker to just walk in. The bartender was arrogant and moody. The restaurant is huge but clearly understaffed. Our waiter, Anthony, seated us at table 54. We were crammed into a small space with rickety chairs and too many tables. The vibe was unfriendly, almost like you’re supposed to feel lucky just to be there. Staff didn’t seem welcoming — maybe they just don’t like foreigners? Other guests were eating while still wearing their coats like they were dressed to walk their dog. The only bright spot was the tall manager, who seemed professional and friendly and upbeat, but he was busy with a black-tie event upstairs so I didn't get to raise my points of disappointment with him. I ordered a fillet steak for my son, medium-rare, I specifically said, “Please please don’t serve it too rare.” It came out nearly blue, see the photo, it didn't get eaten. The pate en croute was nice. I complained. The waiter apologised but didn’t even take it off the bill, despite knowing we didn’t eat it. He offered something else, but at that point, we just wanted to leave. I felt he was too nervous or too new to deal with it properly or speak to the chef or manager they should train the staff how to deal with problems. Not acceptable. We left and took our son to eat somewhere else. Total disappointment. This place feels old, tired, and arrogant, living off a once-good reputation. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Give it a miss. I think that the place has too many customers who are scared to stick up for themselves or mention disappointments.

Came here for the quenelle, the sauce was beautiful warm orange, looks appetizing. It tasted good, but just not as delicious as the one I had before, a bit pitty. The dessert crème brûlée was very good, a nice choice for sweet lover. The restaurant was more spacious than it looked from outside.

My mother and I had a wonderful experience dining at Au Petit Riche. We were visitors from the United States and dined here at the recommendation of our hotel. Our waitress was attentive, positive, and gave excellent food recommendations. Our dinner and dessert, as expected, were authentic and delicious. This restaurant is particularly suitable for wheelchairs, especially with a reservation. They have a wheelchair accessible entrance further down the street with tables to dine comfortably and peacefully. Our waitress was particularly helpful assisting with the wheelchair as needed. Should we return to Paris, we will definitely return to Au Petit Riche!

Visited from Singapore. We got recommended by our concierge at the Marriot Ambassador Hotel, which is a 3-5 min walk away. We wanted simple bistro food and we got it. This place is no frills and what we expected a typical Parisian bistro to be! All in all we were not disappointed. The food, service, and atmosphere were very good. We spent a total of €90 for the 2 of us with no drinks. We had snails, fish of the day (seabass), grilled pork chop, and the onion soup. It’s not a place you’d go out of your way to eat, but if you’re in the area it’s worth a visit!

The restaurant offers a variety of local dishes and charcuterie boards, along with draft beer and cocktails. Its menu includes French onion soup, oysters, pigs trotter, and other festive twists.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are attentive and friendly, which made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent — the onion soup, steak, and oystes were especially delicious and memorable. The frog legs were a bit dry and could have used more seasoning, but that was a minor detail compared to the overall quality of the meal. We truly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

We had amazing food here. Found this place without plan or reservation, we actually stopped because we found something husband wanted to eat, frog legs. Food was brilliant, frog legs were a star of the meal. I had amazing pasta dish, ravioli Dauphine . We also tried 14hrs cooked ribs and some French chicken dish. I had wonderful and refreshing spritz Italicus. We even had a small sweet treat at the end of our meal. We didn't had space in our stomach for a dessert but we had to try that meringue bites we got. Very good restaurant with authentic French atmosphere.

While several people from my office were on business trip in Paris France, we had the most wonderful and amazing dinner at this fantastic restaurant. From the moment our large group arrived, we were treated in the most respectful and caring fashion. We were brought to their bar where we were all served some of the most amazing cocktails we have ever had. When we were finally seated on the outdoor patio for dinner, it was the most perfect setting. Our professional waiter was over the top amazing. And without disrespecting anyone, all of the staff at this restaurant were fantastic. We all had perhaps the best dinner we had during our entire business trip and if I am ever back in Paris, I will be sure to make a reservation and visit this fantastic restaurant once again. Thank you to everyone at Au Pied de Cochon for making our trip and even more wonderful experience for our group from Canada. Paul Calgary, Canada 🇨🇦

A famous Parisian establishment. Ample seating (3 floors), but recommendations needed as it gets crowded fast with a long walk in queue. Food served here is very traditional French fares. I went for the mushrooms with marrow, as well as the braised pig face (not kidding). Other traditional less challenging offerings are of course available. Drop by for a brunch… the restaurant interior and exterior are indeed instagrammable.

We happened to pass by this so-called “iconic” restaurant late at night after already having dinner elsewhere and decided to stop in for a light snack. There was no wait, so we sat outside. Our waiter handed us the menu and bounced between nearby tables, but when we ordered just a couple of starters, he actually complained that we were supposed to order one main dish per person—then said he’d make an “exception” this time. 🙄 To keep the peace, we even ordered a Crêpe Suzette for dessert just to please him. The food itself was mediocre at best, and that's being generous - exactly what you’d expect from a touristy spot living off its name. We had two glasses of wine, a bottle of water, two starters, and the dessert, and the bill came to about USD 80. Definitely not worth it. The food was subpar, and that’s being generous. I won’t be going back.

Made a reservation and was seated quickly. Ordered the French onion soup and fresh clams as an entree. The soup was great but the fresh clams were not so fresh. I mentioned it to our waiter and he dismissed my comments. The rest of our meal was mediocre, the gnocchi felt heavy but the fish was good. Not sure I need to come back next time unless it’s specifically for the soup.

Francette is a trendy and upscale eatery located on a barge along the Seine, offering stunning views of the Eiffel Tower. The restaurant features French gastronomy and a wine shop underwater. With its penthouse on the roof and a restaurant set to open soon, Francette provides an ideal spot to chill out during the summer months in Paris. The best octopus I've ever eaten!!!!! Location and the view is beautiful, eventhough that we sweated in the heat it was totally worth it and were thinking of booking it once again during the same trip.😍 🐙 Once again, the crispy octopus is the best thing that I've eaten for quite a while now. Perfectly crispy, seasoned to perfection and with a small salad and a sauce it paired beautifully. 🍤 The shrimps were also very very good, although I'd change the name to tempura and panko rather than tempura only. Very, very good, cooked ideally! 🦆 Toast with smoked duck was delicious, the meat was melting in my mouth - very much recommending! One thing that I'd list that could be better was the toast. It was dripping in oil making me feel overwhelmed with fat. It was also a little bit too crispy and hard to cut with a knife. Except the toast it was really worth it! 🥩 Beef tartare was ok, could be seasoned better and unfortunately I couldn't taste the gochujang at all. It was also chopped quite coarsely, a bit too much for me. 🍸 Drinks were very good The atmosphere and service were both perfect, really worth going!

We had a wonderful experience at Francette, the restaurant located right in front of the Eiffel Tower. We enjoyed a lovely meal on the terrace with spectacular views of the tower. We ordered the menu for two and later had some cocktails. As a surprise, they even brought us a small cookie with a candle to celebrate my partner’s birthday. The service was excellent from start to finish—everyone was incredibly kind and attentive. I would like to give a special mention to Johanes, who took great care of us and made the evening even more special. Highly recommended!

Everything was just perfect! We actually booked outdoor dining. However, given the rainy weather, we had to dine indoors, which was perfectly fine. The view was still amazing! Just a very miniature comment on the “supervising lady who’s supposed to direct the customers to their tables”. Since we booked outdoor dining, we proceeded to sit at one of the outdoor tables cuz it wasn’t raining at that moment. The other reason was that Nobody was guiding us where to sit. However this woman came outta nowhere and in a rude tone said “you cannot sit there!”, which startled me! Otherwise, everything was just perfect! Delicious dishes, waitresses were kind as well. Cheers!

Really delicious meal, we chose the set menu and it was the perfect amount of food for two people. It was raining initially, so we ended up sitting inside which ended up being really nice and warm from the wind. We were able to go upstairs to grab a drink, enjoy the view and take some photos.

Quintessential Parisian experience. Other than being outside at a cafe on the Champs-Élysées, this barge on the Siene with iconic views of the Eifel Tower is what I think of when I think of Paris. Food is spectacular, for parents and kids alike. Great cocktail bar too. Indoor and outdoor dining/drinks - and you don't even have to choose between the two, since they allow you to fluidly walk outdoors with a drink if you so please. Service was pretty inattentive and standoff-ish, but the uniqueness of the rest of the experience more than makes up for it!

My husband booked us in here for my Birthday meal as a surprise after our trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower, a view from above and below. We were greeted warmly at entry and showed to our table looking over at the tower, our waitress came over to greet us and unfortunately we didn’t catch her name (sorry), but she was so bubbly. We ordered 2 glasses of ‘Carte d’Or’ Champagne Drappier, which was crisp and refreshing. We decided to order 3 x started, the onion soup to share along with a trio of oysters each, from Normandy. The soup was warm rather than hot which was a little disappointing, but it still tasted great and the oysters were delicious although not fully released from the shell so you had to make sure to do that before trying to eat them. For mains I ordered Boeuf Bourguignon and my husband had the chicken, both were amazing, the beef just melted in the mouth and was so intense with flavour and the chicken was moist on a wonderful smooth and creamy bed of mash, we could both eat these over and over again. The fries could have been more crisp and needed salt but weren’t too bad and the Bordeaux was delicious, deep in colour and rich in flavour. Overall a fantastic experience with just a couple of tweaks needed to hit the 5* mark for our visit.

Brasserie
French restaurant
Le Grand Colbert is a lavish brasserie in Paris, located in the 2nd arrondissement. It has a rich history dating back to 1637 and was named during the reign of King Louis-Philippe. Initially a shop, it became a dining establishment in 1900. The restaurant boasts opulent Belle-Epoque decor with mirrors, mosaics, and sculptures. Known for its classic menu featuring oysters and steak, it also offers an extensive wine list.
We stumbled across this restaurant after dinner. Saw the menu outside their door and decided to have a glass of wine, escargot and creme brulee. It was so good, we came back 2 days later to enjoy their formal dinner. This is now one of our top fav restaurants in Paris. The rack of lamb, duck confit, escargot, chanterelle mushroom and creme brulee were delicious. Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Thank you Le Grand Colbert for a memorable dinner.

I recently dined at Le Grand Colbert. The food was absolutely excellent — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was spot on, which made for a really memorable meal. The only downside was the service. While our waiter was polite, it felt like the attention was directed more toward the adjacent tables. It didn’t ruin the evening, but it did stand out in contrast to the otherwise outstanding experience.

This classic Parisian brasserie near Palais-Royal offers a delightful dining experience. The food was delicious, and despite the busy service later in the evening, the attentive staff ensured a pleasant atmosphere. The menu features solid French classics, and I particularly enjoyed the véritable boudin, a perfectly balanced blend of sweetness and richness, served with smooth mashed potatoes. It’s a great spot for traditional French cuisine in the 1st arrondissement.

It was my husband's and my last dinner after spending (literally) a lovely week in Paris celebrating 20 years together. I thought it might be fun to try the restaurant that was the preface for the romantic climax of 2003's "Something's Gotta Give". Playing an accomplished playwright, Diane Keaton wanted to celebrate her birthday at her favorite restaurant. What was nice was how this place looked and felt sophisticated and cinematic much like it was portrayed in the movie. At the same time, tables were not scrunched together (like at Bofinger, for example) and it didn't feel all that stuffy. What was funny was that the menu cover stated "Diner Menu", which made me immediately think of a greasy spoon although the term 'diner' actually means 'dinner'. My French sucks. However, my confusion was not fully misplaced because shortly after we sat at our table, a small bowl of freshly crisp potato chips arrived along with a ramekin of marinated olives. We started with our cocktail of choice, the 15€ Espresso Martinis, which we agreed were among the best we ever had. That might explain why we soon had a second round. The warm rustic bread arrived next with a typically crunchy crust and a soft middle which we slathered with their fresh butter. This led to the appetizers. My husband ordered the 21€ Whole Artichoke Heart which sat on a bed of arugula salad and was topped with a mound of Parmesan shavings. I had never seen a heart that big on a plate. Quite refreshing with nice contrasts in texture. I went full Franco and ordered the 25€ Burgundy Large Escargots. There were nine plump ones in my order, and they were thoroughly delicious and not at all too chewy as they were soaked liberally in garlic butter. The snails were too big for the fancy pinchers they provided, but I speared them easily with the cocktail fork. Our entrees were even more masterfully prepared. My husband had the 31 € Risotto with Crispy Zucchinis and Prawns. The dish was a creamy delight with five succulent prawns accompanied by zucchini and arugula. I went for the 33€ Braised Beef slowly cooked for seven hours and topped with braised carrots and parsley. So tender, much like an amazing pot roast, it could've fallen off the bone if there was a bone. It was accompanied by decadently creamy mashed potatoes and an add-on of buttery 8€ Green Beans. Discretion be damned, however, as we went for dessert. Wanting to replicate the near-perfect floating island he had at Bofinger, my husband ordered the 14€ Floating Island. The meringue was not quite as airy, but the creme anglaise was a winner. I wanted a showy end to my meal and ordered the 18€ Baked Alaska, a delightful rendition of the traditional ice cream cake. It was stylishly flambed with rum. Dessert engulfed in a blue flame is what I call panache. In fact, the whole evening was quite amazing. FOOD - 5 stars...classic French dishes executed with panache and satisfying flavors COCKTAILS - 5 stars...the espresso martinis were impeccable AMBIANCE - 5 stars...genuinely photogenic with a surprising sense of intimacy amid the packed tables...it's no wonder movies are shot in here SERVICE - 5 stars...attentive, responsive, and ingratiating TOTAL - 5 stars...if you're looking for the ideal Parisian dining experience, this be it

We had been to Le Grand Colbert many years ago and my wife is always hesitant to go back to a restaurant, specially after having a great experience. She doesn't want to ruin that, but she wanted to go back. We made a reservation for lunch and upon arrival they gave us a nice corner table by the window, which was comfortable and we both had access to to the bench side. For starters we ordered 6 Gillardeau No. 3 oysters which were, large, very tasty and very fresh. We had choses to do a fish based lunch, so we chose to share the Sea Bass stuffed with morel mushrooms encrusted in a puff pastry (BAR FARCI AUX MORILLES EN CROÛTE FEUILLETÉE À PARTAGER) which came with two sides. We chose the spinach and green beans to accompany this dish, which was already quite complex. We paired the oysters and sea bass with a bottle of 2023 POUILLY FUISSÉ (Burgundy Chardonnay) to complement the flavor profiles of the oysters and stuffed sea bass and it worked really well. The presentation of the sea bass was outstanding as it came whole on a nice large tray and was presented to us before it was split and plated for a delightful consumption. A very delicious and generous meal!

The crepes were great quality and delicious, we also tried their pear cider which was amazing and we really enjoyed it with our meal. The sweet crepes were also good but I personally prefer the savoury ones as they were more unique but overall great experiences and great food

Delicious crepes! No matter classic flavours or special ones, all are very tasty. Cider is a great match as always. Will come back for sure.

The crepes here are delicious! We had the dark chocolate crepe and the buckwheat with butter crepe. Both were very tasty! The space is set up nicely with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is very friendly and made nice recommendations! Highly recommend this spot!

Didn’t really like the mushroom galette since there is higher water content in mushrooms, the crepe is not as crispy (a little bit soggy). Fig jam camembert & and brown sugar butter is a lot better but not the best crepe I had in Paris. Overall is still pretty decent for crepe and the atmosphere was cozy.

Great vibe with beautiful industrial style decor. They have a nice lunch set with gallette, crepe and apple juice/cider. That was a good deal. I've had better galette elsewhere and service a bit on the slower side, but still tasty and would come back

Delicious but a tad overpriced. Its paris so any place that offers crepes is going to gouge you a bit. I had the special. It was yummy. The service was good. The atmosphere was nice as well

Le Chardenoux is a charming French bistro located in the Marais district of Paris. This 116-year-old restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its three-course prix fixe menu featuring delectable dishes such as salt-crusted sea bass, lobster ravioli, and lamb confit, followed by extraordinary desserts like baba rhum with whipped cream.
A tip from my Airbnb host led me here, and what a gem! Drinks and meal were excellent. I sat at the bar, and the service was very warm and attentive (which, in Paris, isn’t always a given ☺️). It was the perfect way to toast my last night in the city.

I really wanted to like this restaurant since it was recommended to me by a dear friend but the service was just bad. We had to ask for the menu several times until we went to get it ourselves, same with bread and salt. It felt that we are asking for too much. The food was ok, but no more than that. The atmosphere, is not friendly, nor romantic. We were here for my husband’s birthday, and he didn’t even want to stay for desert (and he loves sweets).
Olga O — Google review
Came here on a Monday night with a 7:30 evening reservation. We accidentally arrived early at 7:15 but were seated instantly. Host and wait staff were very kind and welcoming. The interior is gorgeous. We ordered cocktails, Midnight in Paris & the Green Sky (both delicious!). For starters, we ordered the duck fois gras & the salmon tacos. Best fois gras I have ever had! 100% recommend even if you’ve never tried before. For mains, we ordered the lobster rolls & the ravioli. Both were exquisite. You receive 2 medium sized lobster rolls with fries which were so fresh and flavorful. The ravioli looked like it would be heavy but was delicious & just light enough. Couldn’t fit in dessert but I’m sure anything there is great. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Was the first restaurant we went to in Paris. The server was really nice and he constantly checked in. We didn’t book so we sat at the bar. The food was also pretty good. We had foie gras to start. It seemed frozen so a bit hard but it came with confiture so it was still tasty. For mains we had a chicken dish and a lobster ravioli. They were both pretty unique and good and the mashed potatoes that came with it was especially good. The dessert French toast was the best and the millefeuille was also okay. Would go back!

Interior great, food fair service the worst I have experienced in Paris. Food was ok but not great and I have been to some amazing restaurants in Paris. They brought starter main and salad all at the same time (what?? ) they brought bread after we finished the meal (what???) and took 15 to 20 min to clear the table and it was that busy. Lots of attitude by the staff too. So many better restaurants in Paris. No wonder it was all Americans and not a French person in the house.

Best dinner during my 9 days France trip. I booked it for my birthday dinner. They gave us a very private table. All the waiters are so sweet and nice. Every dish we ordered was amazing. Portion was not too big but large enough for us. The interior of the restaurant is also very pretty.

A fantastic evening here, starting with the perfect American style Hendricks dirty martini! Friendly staff helped make the evening easier for us by conversing in English. Excellent appetizers and the entrees were amazing! We managed to save room for dessert, glad we did. Surprisingly reasonably priced. Worth every Euro! Highly recommend reservations. Avant Comptoir de la Mer is a chic and modern bar located in an upscale hotel, offering a variety of meaty French sharing plates and an extensive wine list. As part of chef Yves Cambebordes' restaurant collection, this seafood outpost is a popular spot for seafood enthusiasts, serving excellent oysters, raw seafood ceviche, and various expertly prepared seafood dishes.
First time visiting this charming bistro/tapas bar while staying in St. Germain area of Paris! it was Christmas week, so the restaurant as well as the neighborhood were very festively decorated! We had just arrived in the city so wanted to start off with light tapas and some wine! This place was the perfect spot for a light meal before moving to other spots! We tried some standard French red wine along with delicious onion soup and some amazing scallops! It's definitely a 5 out of 5 for food, ambiance, and the vibe! We will certainly return on the next trip
Jay M — Google review
Small portions with great tastes. I was surprised the shrimp ravioli turns out to be har gao in Dimsum lol. Waiter was a chill dude and impatient in a funny way. They give you sour dough bread with a huge slob of butter. Tapas were pretty tasty but fish had bones and razor clams had shards of clams. Atmosphere was fine, nothing bad but nothing amazing either. Would recommend if you're not super hungry but want small bites and a place chill to hang out.
Kevin Y — Google review
We felt like true locals at this spot! Everyone was standing with their glasses of wine while the gentleman shucked oysters right in front of us. I am so happy we made it over and thoroughly enjoyed!
Victoria C — Google review
Visited due to watching an old Anthony Bourdain episode where he comes here twice due to how good it makes him feel and how good the atmosphere is. The bar is a tight intimate space that allows you to get to know staff and other customers alike and really allows you to make friends and mingle. The staff is positive and full of energy with each and every customer, providing excellent bar service and also managing kitchen orders. The food really matches the vibe of the place as it fits in with the bar/tapas scene and doesn’t try to outshine the beverages but rather compliments it with precision. An amazing place to come to at the end of your Paris trip or at the start to enjoy the beautiful city.
Aytun G — Google review
Oysters were some of the freshest I’ve had and were a decent medium to large size. The larger ones coming from Normandy. Service was slow despite it being half occupied but we did not mine as it is was only 1 person managing the drinks and raw bar. We would happily come again on future trips. There are also many other items not on the menu that may be worth trying. A good wine selection at various price points.
Sapphire E — Google review
We have been going here for years and eat here on every trip to Paris! It’s a tradition! The food is fantastic, the people are extremely nice and friendly and such a simple nice place. Both the food and selection of wines are outstanding!

Fantastic little place. Great food nibble and great wine. Bar staff were exceptionally helpful in selecting wines and giving options. Had some of my favourite wine ever there and the prices were very reasonable. Spent around 4 hours here but could have easily stayed longer. The oyster bar next door was also grear. Delicious oysters, however 22 euro for 6 is a little on the high side
Sammyd1337 — Google review
Excellent flavours, and it was great that the portions are small so you can have a lot of variety. The bread and butter were good, and unlimited. I enjoyed the scallops the most, and I would certainly go back for seconds. Unfortunately the razor clams were not cleaned properly and had sand in them, so I could only put 3 stars for the food (it’s otherwise a solid 4.5). The space is very tight, and there is little legroom between the stools and the table top. My legs were very tired after the meal. The sorbet was very refreshing.

Simple, traditional yet modern re-interpreted food that never disappoints. This restaurant it’s my new to go place in Paris. The waiter was really good very knowledgeable and professional but funny at the same time and he really make us feeling welcomed and looked after. Unfortunately I can’t say the same thing about the lady with short hair who welcomed us at the door. We arrived earlier because we wanted to have some drinks at the bar as we have been told that the cocktail really worth it, however the lady rejected us very rudely saying we arrived too early and pointing the time on the iPad! Honestly we could have spent more money by drinking at the bar. Apart from this little aspect the restaurant is amazing, very cozy and intimate and the vibe it’s super cool

Best meal of our vacation. The foie gras on my salade de haricots verts was perfection. I had the amazingly spiced satay beef filet, and my wife had the succulently slow-cooked Black Pearl beef chuck with black garlic. The cocktails were appropriately trendy, the wine was phenomenal, and the service was friendly and genuine.

Sublime First things first, you need to book as you won't get in otherwise. It's small, almost cozy and extremely popular It's lovely : The service is extremely friendly, very helpful and attentive, and they also make great cocktails 😁 The food while 'simple' (nothing snob, nothing to complicated) is just perfect. From the starters to the dessert it was lovely. I don't actually think I've ever eaten a meal more enjoyable. We ate at the bar/counter. Not bad at all it gives you an overview of the restaurant and gives you a chance to chat with the guys behind who again are really friendly. So, a great restaurant, great food, everything is fresh and therefore takes time to be cooked. Go and enjoy it, you won't regret it.

Cozy place. Booking suggested. The two Staff were overworked, having to attend 16-20 guests . My simple order of steak, plus mash plus sauce, arrived in pieces, in 3 installments. Plus the bread arrived when I almost finished. I thought fancy restaurants don’t give bread. Taste was good. Will visit again. But plating was below par for paris, nothing special. And service was poor, due to understaffing. They didn’t seem apologetic about serving me in bits and pieces, which led me to wonder if management is taking care of staff well. Expected a bit more from a brand name restaurant, in terms of service. Thanks. 🙏

This was our 2nd visit. Food was excellent, just like first visit. We had the miso caramelized black cod and got the satay beef filet we’d had on first visit. The sea bream carpaccio was a perfect starter. So fresh and beautifully presented. Wine was exceptional.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly place to stay in the heart of Paris, the International Youth Hostel is an excellent choice. This down-to-earth lodging offers essential amenities like free WiFi and breakfast, along with convenient features such as microwaves and safes. While the aesthetic may not be top-tier, it more than makes up for it with its friendly staff who are eager to assist you during your stay.
Only for young people below 30 years old. The people who work there are very polite and helpful, they speak many languages. Location is great, close to everything. Bar and restaurant just in front of. But there is no possibility to enter the rooms from 11-15 o'clock, when the rooms are cleaned
Valentina A — Google review
For the money I've spent to book the room, it was worth it. For me ultimately, I just had to spend a night, may be few hours of sleep, nothing fancy. You're in Paris, you'd be enjoying the night life, and if you're a frequent traveller, this hostel is the most friendly and budget oriented one. The two bedroom I got didn't have much noise isolation. But for a few hours of sleep, this is enough. Also the help and support given by the staff for keeping our baggage etc were appreciable.
Vishnu G — Google review
i stayed here for a few nights with two of my friends, and i strongly advise to stay away from this hostel unless absolutely necessary. the 24-hour reception and the location near the city centre were great and promising, but stepping into the room was quite a shock. the cell-like room we stayed in had a pungent smell of moisture and mold, so we had to keep the window and door open all the time. upon arrival, we checked the beds for bed bugs and found blood stains on the mattresses. the bed linen was clean, however the pillows had a sour smell, and although cleaning apparently took place during the day, it didn’t seem to make a difference. two of the safes in the room didn’t work either. on a more positive note, the floors were clean and the showers were functioning. it has to be said that there are no amenities, so bring your own towels and toiletries. the breakfast was good and consisted of a cup of coffee, some fresh bread and a microwavable pastry. what we found slightly unnerving and frankly concerning was the fact that despite being advertised as a youth hostel, there were many mid-30s men hanging around the hostel. when checking out, we were shown a luggage room that the staff promised would be locked. when we came back a few hours later to retrieve our luggage, the door to the luggage room was open and our bags were moist from the moldy room they had been in. overall, staying here was a tough experience. we tried to minimize the time spent at the hostel, which made this a decent place to stay at. i still wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Ilona N — Google review
What you pay is what you get. The pros of this hostel were being able to book a private room for just us, the 24h reception and the location. However, the cons vastly outweigh the pros. We booked a 2 bed dorm, knowing the bathroom/shower were separate. We were given a room on the ground floor, the door of which was outside so leaving in the middle of the night to use the toilet meant walking out into the rain. The communal showers are an absolute disgrace, with no privacy at all and no place to leave your clothes/change when using them. The free "breakfast" consisted of a bread roll, a tiny pastry and coffee/tea. You got 1 of everything and then were charged for extras (except the drink). In our room, the WiFi was pretty much non-existent and our normal data didn't work well either. It's a fine hostel if you want to do cheap and book a room with a private bathroom, but otherwise I'd stay away.
Aimee S — Google review
Rooms are okay, aren't the biggest but the key comment for this place is "you get what you paid for" it's not a fancy hotel, the rooms aren't super comfortable, the showers are okay but not ideal and the breakfast is just a baguette with yam. But for the price it's decent so I can't complain that much. Tho the thing that I would actually complain about which a lot of other reviewers do is that you have to leave the room between 10 am and 3 pm, or 11 am to 3 pm. I don't know, it says different things at different places in the Hostel. But the rooms are okay and I don't think that people expect more.

Been here three times in the one week since we arrived in Paris! Other reviews are accurate about the Onion Soup being fantastic! Our waiter the first two visits was super helpful, friendly and funny. Our third visit, we got the girl some others have mentioned (not so friendly, funny or helpful) but we still enjoyed ourselves! The Tartare De Boeuf is good, not great - however, we are from Texas, USA where it’s hard to compare beef to anyplace else. The Brioche Perdue (think French Toast and Cheesecake having a baby) makes up for it all!! Speaking of cheese, the Camembert Roti baked cheese starter is YUM!

While staying in Les Halles neighborhood, we ate here on many occasions. Their charcuterie boards are great for snacking if you don’t want a big, full dinner. We usually eat those while sipping on drinks and it’s always a great time. The burrata is also very good.

The staff was kind but the food… stay away. It seems like microwaved food, i got sick the same night. I had the foie gras for a start that was quite good but as a main I got the “faux fillet” that was really bad. The potatoes with it were chewy and obviously reheated a couple of times. The deserts were similar, really low quality , pre made stuff. There are much better place in the same street. Avoid this one for food, maybe it’s just good for a drink.

First time in Paris and this was my favorite place! Made a reservation for 9:30pm on a Wednesday and the patio was pretty full. Seems like a local spot. The service was so incredible, every person working seemed to really care about ensuring the tables were taken care of, not just our server. I can’t remember his name but our server was so kind, personable and had lovely humor. He coursed out our food perfectly and offered great recommendations on wine and desert. We had the oysters, scallops with truffle risotto and the pan fried salmon all so delicious and very fresh. The desert we had was recommended by our server so I don’t remember the specific name but it was a chocolate sauce cake with ice cream. The espresso martinis were so yummy with this at the end of the meal. Will definitely be coming back the next time I am in Paris.

Bistro La Robe de la Girafe is a trendy seafood restaurant located in Paris Cite de l'Architecture. Owned by Gilles Malafosse and Laurent Gourcoff, the restaurant features a 1930s-style decor with cream benches, a marbled bar, tropical plants, and original pilasters designed by Joseph Dirand.
In Paris we were looking for an authentic French eating experience and we found one at the La Robe de la Giraffe! A cute little bistro in the 11th Arr has a fully French vibe including the menus! It was recommended by the staff at the hotel we stayed at as a place they go to eat just down the street! Outdoor and indoor seating areas were both great. After struggling with the menus for a while we tried the waitress and, of course, she spoke no English. Eventually the bartender came over and helped to decipher the menu and took care of us for the rest of the stay. We ordered some of their exclusively French cuisine and we were so happy to have chosen to make the effort to dive into the French culture. Dinner was delicious and fairly priced ... it was obvious that the owner took great pride in her cooking and attention to detail. Thank you to her and the rest of the staff for making our stay in Paris as authentic as could be!

Disappointing Experience – Poor Service We had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Upon arrival, we asked for a table for two, and despite the place being nearly empty, we were seated and then completely ignored. The only employee on duty spent at least 10 minutes talking and laughing on the phone, paying no attention to the few customers present or those arriving. Even after ending the call, she made no effort to serve us, instead shifting her attention elsewhere. We sat there for about 20 minutes without receiving menus, water, or any acknowledgment. Frustrated, we decided to leave. It’s a shame because we used to visit frequently and had good experiences in the past. However, over the last two years, the service has declined significantly, and the lack of customer care has made the place unwelcoming. Sadly, this was our last visit. There was simply no excuse for such poor service.

Nestled conveniently across from a hostel, A La Tour Eiffel is a bustling brasserie that captures the essence of Parisian dining. On my visit, the atmosphere was electric, filled with football fans cheering for France against Austria. Despite the crowd, I found the wait worthwhile as I indulged in some truly remarkable dishes. The duck confit stood out as one of the best I've ever tasted—perfectly tender without being greasy—and the beef tartare was seasoned to perfection.
Ordered the lunch menu, had white fish and dessert was sortment of three small desserts. Everything was so delish! Do yourself a favour and eat here 😋😋😋 Only downside they did not have the appetizers anymore left, but they charged the same prize as I would have had the appetizer

It was the night France playing against Austria so the restaurant was full of football fans. The restaurant was very busy so we've been waiting for a while until someone came to take the order. 47Le Collier de la Reine

Restaurant
Le Collier de la Reine is located in the 3rd Arrondissement near the trendy Le Marais neighborhood. While it may not be the most visually appealing bar in Paris, its food and drinks make it a worthwhile stop. The extensive cocktail menu includes must-try options like the Espresso Martini. Despite some waiting time for food, visitors found the restaurant's atmosphere warm and cozy, with delicious dishes such as oysters and pasta.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Collier de la Reine and was blown away by the quality of the food and atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the stylish decor and chic ambiance. We started off the meal with the onion soup, which was rich and flavorful with a perfectly balanced blend of onions and broth. But the real highlight of the meal was the seafood tower. We decided to splurge on the seafood tower, and it did not disappoint. The tower was filled with a variety of fresh seafood, including prawns, scallops, muscles, and oysters. Each piece was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the presentation was stunning. For our entrees, the crispy pork was also a standout, with tender meat and a crunchy exterior that was perfectly seasoned. We also ordered the fish and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a light crispy batter that didn't overpower the delicate flavor of the fish. The chips were equally impressive, with a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. The wine selection at Collier de la Reine was also impressive, with a variety of great options to choose from. We opted for a white wine that paired perfectly with our meal. Overall, I would give Collier de la Reine a solid 5 stars. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was chic and stylish, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the fish and chips, crispy pork, and seafood tower. If you're a fan of Asian fusion cuisine, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

I’m honestly shocked! I’ve never experienced such a lack of professionalism. The manager was unbelievably rude. We were a group of 15 with a reservation, arrived just five minutes late (10:20 instead of 10:15), and got rushed the second we sat down, they told us we had three minutes to order. We decided to share some starters : oysters, wine, etc. since the menu isn’t exactly extensive. Then the manager came back furious, saying we HAD to order a main dish per person, or we’d have to leave. We agreed and some of us chose the flank steak, the waitress returned saying it was “unavailable” and tried to push us into ordering ribeye instead which is 3x the price. We ended up getting kicked out because, apparently, we didn’t order enough food for them. The whole thing was absurd, disrespectful, and beyond unprofessional. I would never go back, and honestly, neither should you.

The restaurant was lovely and the food was amazingly delicious. The atmosphere felt warm and cozy, and our server was very sweet. The only disappointing part was the 45-minute wait for our food, and we had to keep asking for updates. It seemed like a busy night for the team, so I won't hold it against them. We ordered a variety of dishes and shared them all. The oysters and pasta were especially yummy. Despite the wait, the food was amazing and definitely made the visit worthwhile.
Tsutsumi H — Google review
We had high expectations. The interior and ambiance is really nice! Service was friendly but a bit too quick and assertive. We felt a bit rushed, although the restaurant was more than half empty. We shared different plates paired with some nice natural wines. Good oysters and steak tartare. Would definitely recommend the pig leg, was amazing! The octopus was a bit too sturdy and didn't have much flavour. Desserts and main course were ok.
Maria B — Google review
Worst restaurant experience in Paris. They advertise an oyster cocktail special between 18:30 and 20:00 to lure people in. When we sat down at 18:30 with 0 other guests and said we’d like to sit down for 15 minutes and get the special once. The waitress was rude from the start and told us as soon as we mentioned the special that she cannot guarantee a table for us since they are a dinner place? I don’t understand what the special is for between 18:30 and 20:00. If you don’t want to serve it, why do you offer it? Then the waitress rudely told us it’s not going to work for her since we only wanted to order one special instead of 2 and basically kicked us out. Empty place for a reason and I understand why the rating is below the 4 stars. Don’t go here besides you want to be treated top down from a waitress who is obviously not happy about her life.
Timm — Google review
The restaurant setting is very nice, but the food was a real disappointment. The worst was a very dry pork belly that was completely tasteless. The rest was ok, starters were decent and the chicken came with a nice sauce, even though they also didn’t get the cooking right (a bit undercooked as you can see from the photos). All while being on the pricey end. Even the wines are low quality when compared to the price you pay. Finally, the chef was very arrogant, when we tried explaining that the porc was undercooked, they agreed but said «that’s how it is » and didn’t offer any alternatives (nor discounts).
Joe S — Google review
We had a wonderful August evening here with friends. 3 delicious courses, excellent service and with tip and digestif came to 60e per person - so excellent value. We had fish carpaccio, duck sausage and schnitzel with sides of home cut fries. Millefeuille and peach cobbler for dessert. We also came here in February and had drinks in their caveau - highly recommended for something more intimate. Their natural wine selection is also impressive. Be sure to book and if you can get a later table to really experience the atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!
Ed J — Google review
Had a lovely night and dinner. Service was great and quick. Vegetable blanquette and the pork crepe are a must! Very varied wine list that satisfies any taste. There is a super cave on the lower floor. Cocktails are the best in Paris. (Basil smash way of life!) Recommended for both small intimate dinners as well as big groups. :)

Brasserie
Cafe
French restaurant
Brasserie de la Bourse is a classic French brasserie offering a variety of dishes, including charcuterie boards, omelets, and typical French mains with Basque specialties. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with atmospheric lights and mirrored walls creating a pleasant setting for a meal. Despite not having the luxurious Parisian aesthetic, the brasserie exudes an authentic and cozy feeling. Visitors have enjoyed their experiences at different times of the day, from full breakfast to dinner.
We kept coming back to this charming brasserie! The menu had lots of interesting dishes, portions were generous and at a fair price. Cocktails and wine by the glass recommendations were top notch. Service was excellent with waiters communicating in different languages.

A Memorable Evening at Brasserie de la Bourse From the moment we stepped into Brasserie de la Bourse, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of timeless charm and effortless elegance. The lighting was soft, the ambiance inviting, and the hum of conversation felt like a gentle symphony in the background. But what truly elevated our evening was the exceptional service — particularly from our lovely server, Shade. Shade was a perfect blend of grace and warmth. She welcomed us with a genuine smile and a sense of ease that made us feel immediately at home. Throughout the morning, her attentiveness was impeccable without ever being intrusive. She knew the menu like an artist knows their palette, offering thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. Each dish was a delight — beautifully plated, full of flavor, and reflective of the brasserie’s dedication to both tradition and creativity. From the starters to the final bite of dessert, everything felt crafted with care. And all the while, Shade made sure our experience was smooth, joyful, and memorable. It’s rare to find someone who serves not just with skill, but with soul. Brasserie de la Bourse is a gem — and with people like Shade bringing it to life, it becomes much more than just a restaurant. It becomes a place you want to return to, again and again.

Loved the value for a simple meal. Pan seared trout and an nice omelette shown. They have a nice selection of cognac. Again, this is a nice clean restaurant with good food, service, and prices.

This place is fantastic. It looks so idyllic surrounded by other cute bistros. The food is absolutely great. I ordered the duck and my husband ordered the beef tartare and both were great. Don’t skip on dessert either. Great price, even better food, and not far from the Louvre.

This was the nicest, friendliest cafe we visited on our holiday. The waiting staff were the best! So friendly, funny and charming. Food was exactly as you would expect, great French classics which tasted fabulous. We will return one day!

We enjoyed our first meal in France here last night and were very pleased with our choice. The children's menu is basic but very nice (breaded chicken or beef with chips, followed by ice cream). I enjoyed a delicious French onion soup and my partner had a whole roasted fish dish with vegetables. The staff were very polite around our sorrowful attempts at speaking French and responded with smiles (and English). Lovely relaxed location very close to Gare du Nord.

This is one of the cutest little cafés… Maybe nothing super special but it’s one of the things that makes Paris really unique. It’s just a place that is really well appointed and run with such straightforward care. I went there on the Sun was shining… got a table and a little bit of eggs and bread in the morning… It was absolutely heaven. The servers are really pleasant and the food is spot on. If you get a chance pass by… I know I’ll be going back.

Nestled in the upscale Golden Triangle of Paris, Hôtel Grand Powers is a stylish and polished establishment with a history dating back to the 1920s. Following its transformation, this hotel seamlessly blends the opulence of the Roaring Twenties with contemporary design elements. The Haussmannian grandeur of its facade is complemented by Art Deco influences and touches of British and Italian flair.
My favorite hotel to stay in Paris! Everything from the staff to the beautiful rooms is perfectly curated. Centrally located for fashion lovers. I’ve stayed twice this year alone with plans to return again for a third time! Cannot recommend enough.
Rukmini M — Google review
Hotel grand powers We recently stayed at Grand Powers Hotel for the second time. It’s a lovely boutique property in a great location, with attentive service and a nice atmosphere. However, I felt that there was far too much emphasis on upselling. On arrival, because it was our second visit, we were offered a “special rate” to upgrade to a higher category. Later, when we decided to extend our stay for one more night, we weren’t allowed to remain in the same room. Instead of accommodating us, the only solution presented was another push to upgrade to a much larger room at an unreasonable price. When we declined, we were moved to a noticeably inferior room, which was disappointing. The constant upselling overshadowed the experience and left us feeling less valued as returning guests. Additionally, the water pressure in the bathrooms was not good, which affected comfort. Overall, while the hotel has many positives, the focus on upgrades and lack of flexibility made this stay less enjoyable than our first.

I had a great experience at this hotel, the staff was super attentive to all my requests. I was lucky enough to meet the F&B Director, Cloe, and she took the time to serve me exactly what I wanted — a good tequila — after a long day of exhausting shopping. The hotel is super clean, and they always pay attention to the little details. Without a doubt, this is our favorite hotel.

Extérieur Quai is a bistro located near Gare de l'Est, offering a convenient stop for a quick bite or drink before catching a train. The staff is known for being friendly and attentive, providing excellent service with genuine concern for their customers' schedules. The menu features fresh and delicious options, including croque monsieur and terrine. While once renowned for serving oysters, the bistro still offers a decent selection of food and drinks.
I walked by on my way to my hotel and found this restaurant across Gare D’Est train station. I wasn’t that hungry so I have ordered 2 appetizers Oeuf d’ mayonaise and vegetarian vegetable fritters with a mild blue cheese sauce. It was excellent! Also the French bread was delicious.

Visited on Wednesday evening for the happy hour. One oyster is just 1€ !! That's incredible and the taste was also great ! I ate 10 of them with a glass of beer IPA, which was also nice. The home made french fries were great too. Everything was perfect.

Perfect place to wait for your train. This bistro is across the street from the train station. They offer happy hour from 4:00-8:00, five euro beer and wine. It was the cheapest we saw beer and wine in Paris. We were brought a bowl of snacks to go with our drinks. The waiter was very friendly. They have a great outdoor seating area right outside with a fence separating it from the road.
Girl M — Google review
The food was delicious… fresh avocado salad, fresh squeezed orange juice, lovely cappuccino, and delicious croissants (not at all soggy). The new owners are setting themselves up for success. They were very patient as we tried to practice our French and went overboard to satisfy our group. This is a great stop prior to getting on a train or just a break in the day. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice and casual bistro quite near to Gare de l’Est. Atmosphere, taste, variety of food and drinks, master’s recommendation, etc., everything is perfect. I shall come back here, when I visit Paris next time!!

New ownership. Excellent service. Very accommodating to foreign tourists with minimal French language skills. Food was very well made, proper portion sizes. Very good coffees. Hope they are still available when I next pass through Gare de L’Est.

If you are looking for a bistro to grab a bite or get a quick drink before catching the train... this is it. Forget the nonsense you get inside the station. The staff is more than friendly and the food very good and fresh. Really good value for money. Next trip to Paris I will probably stop again.
