Coffee shop
Cafe
Café de Flore is a long-standing coffeehouse located in the charming corner of St-Germain quarter. It has been a popular spot for intellectuals and artists, with famous figures like Picasso, Hemingway, Simone de Beauvoir, and Jean-Paul Sartre frequenting the place. The café's interior has retained its Art Deco charm over the years, making it feel like a time capsule of bohemian Paris.
My favorite Cafe! Cafe de Floor in Paris offers the best hot chocolate and cappuccino around! The service is friendly and attentive, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. Can’t wait to come back there again! Highly recommended!!

Loved this famous and prestigious cafe in Paris. Historic and highly regarded, I can tell why. We went for breakfast on Sunday, and didn't need to queue. We did go at 8am though, and there was a crowd starting to develop inside. We ordered the- Special flore dark chocolat with creme Croissant Toast with echire butter The Le The de flore tea creation Croque Monsieur special flore Has to be the best croissant we had in Paris. Can't recommend the croissant enough. The hot chocolate was delightful and wasn't too sickening. I recommend to order it with the creme. The french butter was tasty too. Next time I would love to try the French onion soup and cafe de flore terrine. Overall 10/10 and highly recommend when looking for an authentic French cafe experience in Paris.

This has to be one of the most famous cafés in Paris, it’s been featured in countless movies and stories! I just had to visit while I was in the city, and it was absolutely worth it. It’s always super busy (clearly I wasn’t the only one with the same idea), so I waited about half an hour in line. But once seated, I had the best onion soup of my life! I also tried the foie gras, which came in a much larger portion than expected, definitely something to share with at least three people. The service was handsome…wait…I mean friendly.
Laura P — Google review
Very very busy cafe. A bit of a wait for food and drink, but I was determined to experience because of its cultural significance. Mixed drinks were creative and delicious! However I saw many patrons order the hot chocolate and I was a bit remorseful I had not gone that route. Must see for any “lost generation” aficionados. Timeless, elegant. In the corner by the stairs, there is a delightful little dollhouse recreation of the cafe with small pictures of its famous guests, Hemingway, Fitzgerald. I can easily see how this would invite conversation and creativity. And I just love Paris. A win win!

A Parisian Classic Worth Experiencing! Café de Flore is the quintessential Parisian café — elegant, historic, and full of charm. Sitting on the terrace with a coffee or hot chocolate while watching the world go by feels like stepping into a timeless Paris postcard. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with perfectly flaky croissants, delicious omelets, and rich café crème. The service was attentive and professional, even with the café’s lively atmosphere. It’s easy to see why Café de Flore remains a Paris institution — a place where history, ambiance, and great food come together beautifully. Don’t miss it if you want to experience authentic Parisian café culture at its best!

Simply amazing. The entire experience was incredible. The hostess was welcoming, and the server was very attentive! We enjoyed some incredible food and was a high pointe of our trip. Do not miss this outstanding snapshot of Paris!

Café de Flore is one of Paris’s most iconic historic cafés, offering a quintessentially Parisian atmosphere filled with charm and character. Known for its classic décor, sidewalk seating, and lively buzz, it’s the perfect place to soak in the city’s café culture. The menu features traditional French dishes, delicious pastries, and rich coffee — all served with that unmistakable Parisian flair. While it remains a must-visit spot for its heritage and ambiance, it can get quite busy and touristic, especially during peak hours, so visiting early or off-peak is recommended.
Rezk E — Google review
I definitely enjoyed the bites and sops at this iconic cafe. we sat inside to escape the summer heat. I ordered tea and Carpaccio which were both delicious. Supersingly the best thing on their menu was their chips. Yes chips, so good I had to ask for seconds. The server was friendly and kept checking on our table while managing busy tables. Many places are touristy, but the food and services were great.

Located in Saint-Germain-des-Pres, Les Deux Magots is a renowned brasserie that has been serving traditional French cuisine since 1885. This iconic cafe was frequented by literary giants such as Albert Camus, Ernest Hemingway, and Simone de Beauvoir. It also established its own literary prize in 1933, known as the Flore, which continues to honor emerging French novelists.
Everything was great! Bit nervous if they would rushed us throughout our experience but not at all! Great service, attentive, friendly and the foods are great too. We had club sandwiches and it was pretty yummy ☺️ Caffe Crème (Latte) was nice too! Would love to come back and try other things.

A legendary café nestled in the heart of Paris, was an experience that blended culinary delight with a deep dive into cultural history. Known as a popular tourist destination and a hub for intellectual and artistic gatherings since the early 20th century, this iconic spot has hosted luminaries like Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, and Ernest Hemingway. The café’s rich heritage is palpable in its elegant Art Deco interior. As for the food, I was pleasantly surprised the flavors exceeded my expectations. While the prices were, as anticipated, on the higher side—reflecting its prime location and reputation—the quality justified the cost to some extent. The service was also commendable; the staff were attentive and courteous. For anyone traveling to Paris, Les Deux Magots offers more than just a meal—it’s a journey through time. I’d recommend it for its historical charm and unexpectedly tasty offerings!

Classic, Touristy, and Surprisingly Good Is this place touristy? Yes. Is it historical? Yes. Is it fun? Absolutely. Is it tasty? Also yes. It’s one of those must-try-once spots in Paris, and honestly, the food was much better than I expected for such a touristy location. We started with two St. Germain spritzes—because, well, we were on St. Germain! 😍 Then came the foie gras pâté and steak tartare with frites, both of which were delicious. No worries here about sketchy raw beef—everything was fresh and well-prepared. Then we couldn't resist getting a chocolate mousse after seeing our neighboring table digging in and ooohing and aaahing about it. :D Service was attentive and friendly, and everything was delicious! Would I go back? Maybe—not as a destination restaurant, but definitely as a nice stop for drinks or snacks while shopping. And with Louis Vuitton right next door, it’s hard to resist a little post-retail pick-me-up. 😉

Let me start by saying this was the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not exaggerating... The best! It’s thick, smooth, and so creamy it feels like you’re drinking melted chocolate bars. There’s this tiny bitter note that makes it even richer, but it’s not too sweet either. Just perfect balance. I honestly took my time with it, like sip by sip slow, because I didn’t want it to end. The service was super friendly and quick, which made the whole thing even better. The place itself has this cozy, peaceful vibe that makes you forget about the rush outside. I walked out just feeling happy. Simple as that.

Tonight we chose Les Deux Magots a Paris restaurant since 1884. We chose a Haut-Medoc wine to sip before dinner. Michael started with the warm goat cheese salad and I had a bite, it was very tasty. Michaels entree was the rib of Veal and I had filet of Beef with 5 berry pepper sauce and both were absolutely amazing. Michaels desert was tarte tatin and I had vanilla ice cream both were amazing. We both had a generous pour of 20 year port to finish the evening. Our waiter and everyone was so polite that it made the evening a very relaxing and pleasurable experience. Bravo!
Joel M — Google review
Tried the classic breakfast ,14euro with one drink ,one croissant and one baguette, the hot chocolate is too thick for me,would rather have some milk with it,it seems like melt chocolate which is too heavy. The bread is so so. Good view and nice waiters.
Audrey — Google review
Everything was great! We were seated quickly and our waiter was very attentive. We tried the chicken toastie and a sea bass dish. Then had the hot chocolate to drink. The food was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. As for the hot chocolate it was so rich and creamy it tasted like you were drinking chocolate chips. Everything was served at a good temperature and all around we were big fans of this place. My only complaint is how close the seats were to one another. The waiter had to move the table for people in the booth to get in and out of their seats and you were about 8 inches away from the table next to you. Fair warning to anyone else from the states coming here they do charge for water.
Kierstin M — Google review
Went for a Parisian breakfast and loved it! The atmosphere is classic and charming, perfect for soaking up the Paris vibe. Their hot chocolate is absolutely delicious — rich, smooth, and a must-try. A beautiful spot to start the day in Paris.

Café Méricourt is a trendy and casual all-day brunch spot located in the Oberkampf district of Paris. It's the sister cafe of Cafe Oberkampf, offering a similar menu but in a slightly different ambiance. The cafe is known for its delicious sweet and savory dishes, as well as specialty coffee drinks. While it doesn't accept reservations, it's worth visiting at the beginning of brunch/lunch service to secure a table.
Great place for a good breakfast at reasonable prices! Most of the guests appeared to be locals, which is a good sign. Not touristy at all. We had the Breakfast Bun and Pancakes; both were excellent! And wonderful cappuccinos, too! Service was excellent!
Michael S — Google review
A nice breakfast experience, but a bit overhyped. We got there around 9:30 and managed to grab the only available table without a reservation. By 10:30, the place was full and quite a few people had to leave. The café is very popular and clearly in high demand. We had the shakshuka, pancakes, focaccia, and some extra halloumi — all tasty, but none of them really had a “wow” factor. The golden latte was a nice and different option on the menu. Overall, we enjoyed it, but the hype might set expectations a little too high.
Baran Z — Google review
Absolutely outstanding coffee – one of the best espressos I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced body with an interesting complexity and just the right amount of acidity. A must-visit for any true coffee lover. As for the food, it was a genuine French culinary experience. This was our first stop on our trip to Paris, and we kept reminiscing about it throughout our stay. Highly recommended!
Lukáš T — Google review
Got here early so not that many people there yet. As per most people’s recommendation we ordered green eggs and pancakes with fruit. I am not really a pancake person but was surprisingly impressed. It’s made with orange juice that gives it a unique sweetness. My wife also liked their green eggs. It went perfectly with fresh bread. Don’t forget to add bacons to your breakfast! A fantastic touch by the chef as it’s crispy but not dry. Last but not least, the simple but artsy setting is well complemented with its background music - mostly soft vocal jazz and 90s pops. Well done!
Rick S — Google review
I found this place while looking for a nice breakfast place near my hostel and I liked it so much that I had to go back the next day again. The food was amazing! The Shakshukas with feta were very delicious. The pancakes were like I never tasted before. Delicate, fresh, aromatic. I’ll have to visit Paris again just to come back here!
Stefan — Google review
Lovely restaurant with good and healthy food. I had a small spinach, union, feta and egg in a hot pan. Which was excellent and enough. The shakshuka also looked very nice! Everything is fresh, healthy and really good. The waitresses are lovely, very friendly.

Great little place to tuck into for a cup of coffee or breakfast! Really enjoyed the local feel of this place! Nice selection of a menu with some real speciality plates that takes this up a notch from a normal breakfast place. Lovely cup of coffee!

Restaurant
Bistrot Paul Bert is a classic Parisian eatery that gained international fame after being featured on Anthony Bourdain's 'No Reservations.' The restaurant, run by chef Bertrand Auboyneau, offers a cozy and relaxed atmosphere with its exposed brick walls and poster art. The menu focuses on traditional beef dishes and seafood made from fresh seasonal ingredients.
Loved Paul Bert. We had a couple of the specials for starters, the carpaccio and the cervelle de canut, a white cheese topped with herbs and oil. Both were light and tasty. We also got the soft eggs and morels which I could easily have eaten 5 more portions of. We both got the steak (bavette cut) with frites in a sarawak pepper sauce, which lived up to the hype. We finished with seasonal strawberries in a raw cream, also amazing. We had a hard time getting a reservation but we eventually were able to reach someone over the phone. It has been mentioned ad nauseum everywhere to call 1hr before or after to reach a person, and that's what we did but it took us a lot of calls, over many days to get through. When we got someone, about a week out, they took down our info but when we showed up, there was no record of us. They were able to seat us without issue. I think if you show up right at opening, it should not be a problem getting a table. Other than the tough reservation, we loved everything and it's most certainly worth a visit in spite of the tourist hype.
AC S — Google review
I took my husband here for his birthday and he said it was the best birthday dinner he ever had. I was curious to see if it lived up to the hype and it actually did. Everything was fantastic, from the food to the service. We both had the steak and fries and it was an easy 10/10. For dessert we ordered the souffle and it was very unique but good as well, very light. Also important to note - we called at midday and got a reservation for that same night. When we arrived there were several persons who came as walk ins and they all got though and fairly quickly as well.
Shannon F — Google review
We came for one thing, steak au poivre. That's it. We'd heard it was maybe the best in Paris. It was, just fantastic. There is an old school ambiance to the place as well and the staff were friendly and attentive. I can't speak to the other items on the menu, but I regret not coming sooner for the steak. It was that good. The place is small, make a reservation if you can.
Christopher M — Google review
Bistrot Paul Bert serves my favorite steak au poivre—anywhere. A perfectly cooked, juicy, tender cut of beef with just the right amount of cracked pepper and that luscious, creamy sauce… I’m literally dreaming about it as I write this. I need to go back soon. Hubby ordered the steak tartare, which came with crispy fries and a simple green salad — classic, no-nonsense, and absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and efficient, the kind of old-school Parisian hospitality that’s warm without fuss. Now, fair warning: they don’t answer their phone, and getting a reservation can be tricky. But if you show up right when they open on a weekday, you might just snag a table — that’s what we did. It’s a little out of the way, but trust me, it’s worth every minute (and every euro of the taxi ride). Our total came to around USD 120, and the bill came with a couple of adorable little canelés on the house. A perfect Parisian meal from start to finish.
Critsy Y — Google review
Exceptional meal, highly recommended and can’t wait to go back. Could drink the steak pepper sauce alone! Please let me know when your cook book becomes available in English! I’ll be the first to buy it. Thank you!
Rebecca H — Google review
Beautiful little bistrot. We went for the fillet au sauce de poivre, the sauce was spectacular but we would have liked the fillet to be more tender. The tartar was spectacular with mustard and chopped onion The souffle with the grand marnier was tasty. The service was super friendly and the interior felt cozy and authentic.
Ιrida Α — Google review
I was expecting a amazing experience, the beef with pepper was but the rest was average. Getting a table at bistro Paul Bert is challenging and expectations was very high indeed. We started by the girolles and egg, it was nice but the one at the grand cafe at the grand palais is much nicer. Then we had the rabbit and confit tomatoes which was not amazing just nice. 👍 for the bread, pity that salted butter is not served with it. The 2 cheese gougères were nice but overcooked to my taste therefore quite dry. Then we had the star of the show the beef with pepper sauce and yes the sauce is incredible, absolutely delicious. The beef portion is not generous and the chips portion is not big either for 2. The whole main course is really yummy, very well balanced and executed. Then came the desserts and they were both disappointing. The soufflé tasted undercooked, I could not taste the grand marnier. It was a poor experience. We also had the îles flottantes : too sugary the egg whites were too dense, too packed and the crème pâtissière had far too much sugar. Although the starters and the main were served within 25 min of our arrival, we waited far too long to get our desserts ( please note that we ordered the soufflé with our main meal as we are aware that time is needed) and then we waited over 30 minutes and had to asked twice the invoice and decided to go and pay at the till as our waiter was not coming to our table. Overall, go to bistro Paul Bert to enjoy the beef with pepper sauce which is spectacular but skip starters and desserts, they are not worth your time or your money. Please note that we just had a meal at the grand cafe at the grand palais today and for the same price, the overall meal just can’t be compared (every dish was so tasty).

Make a reservation! We were in Paris for two weeks for my 40th birthday trip, and went to Paul Bert For lunch. It was a beautiful sunny day and we sat on the patio. A side note, the patio is Wheelchair accessible as my husband is in a wheelchair and requires a flat surface - Which is great considering a lot of the bistros in Paris are too small for wheelchairs. I would say that the steak au poivre is the best in Paris. The fries are also top two or three in Paris so make sure you get those as well Service was wonderful, and the server even gave us his own personal number if we wanted to come back again during our trip as it is hard to get reservations! Sidenote again– Make sure that you purchase some merchandise from them. We forgot to get a T-shirt and all the merchandise online is done through a third-party seller and way more expensive.

Angelina is a legendary tearoom that has been serving refined pastries and hot chocolate in a belle epoque-style setting since 1903. It's considered one of the best places for hot chocolate in Paris, especially for visitors to nearby museums like the Louvre. The luxurious tearoom offers an indulgent hot chocolate experience, served with whipped cream at a slightly high price. Breakfast and brunch are also delightful here, making it perfect for special occasions.
What an absolutely dreamy experience at Angelina! 💫 The prices are on the higher side, but trust me — the hot chocolate is 100% worth it. It's like a rich, velvety hug in a cup. And the atmosphere? Simply stunning! I felt like Marie Antoinette in the 18th century, surrounded by elegance and charm. The staff was absolutely wonderful — so friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky to arrive early, so there was no waiting at all, which made everything even better. My grandma also bought the box to make hot chocolate at home, and she’s completely hooked! It’s a perfect spot for special occasions — can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious, indulgent treat. 🍫✨

If you’re in Paris, you must try this Legendary and Delicious Chocolate Emporium. There are many choices to choose from. I tried their hot chocolate. It was delicious but was too sweet for me to finish the large mug. The chocolate eclairs and the Mille feuille were crunchy and fresh. But my favorite was the Monte Blanc. See the photo. The Mont-Blanc from Angelina's in Paris is a signature Parisian dessert made of a meringue base, a light whipped cream filling, and topped with a mound of sweetened chestnut purée "vermicelli". Created at the beginning of the 20th century, its name comes from its resemblance to the snow-capped peak of Mont Blanc in the Alps. It was soooo Delicious. I had it every day during my trip. You must Not miss this special place in Paris. Prepare to wait for a table. Most of the times we took our order to go and ate them either in Jardin des Tuileries or in Jardins du Trocadéro over looking at the Eiffel Tower. I can’t wait to return soon.
Rabih J — Google review
Beautifully appointed elegant tea room right out of the 1900's. The tables and chairs have been in place since the 1920s, the gilded decor and antique mirrors lendifil of earlier times. The drinking chocolate was amazing! Breakfast was as well. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend!
Dena M — Google review
Simply the best mont blanc in Paris (and probably worldwide). Always fresh and so unique. Exceptional hot chocolate too. Breakfast is good but expensive. Beautiful inside but there is usually a long queue. Either avoid peak hours or take away and enjoy in the Tuileries right across the street. One of the truly "incontournable" places in Paris.
James D — Google review
Arrived on a Wednesday at 11am. There was no wait and we got seated right away. We were seated in the overflow room and not the main room. The hot chocolate was dark, silky and creamy. Also ordered a croque Madame that was devine. Bread toasted optimally. I preferred Angelina but the other memvmber though Carvette had the better hot chocolate.
Charlie S — Google review
I visited Angelina and honestly found it disappointing. It wasn’t worth the ten-minute wait to be seated, and the interior itself wasn’t particularly attractive once inside. One positive is that the location is excellent — it’s close to busy areas in Paris and very easy to get to. The service was good, which I appreciated. A downside for me was that they didn’t offer any alternative milks — only cow’s milk — which meant I couldn’t try the oat chai latte I’d gone specifically for. I ordered the Tarte Coco Passion, which was just okay, and the Golden Detox drink. The total came to €19.50, which felt steep for what I received. I’ve had far better experiences elsewhere, so I wouldn’t return. To avoid the queue just go in and get a take away cake and a hot chocolate! If you want to try!
Chloe B — Google review
This place is overrated. We had to wait in a queue for around 40 min. Then once we were in, the tables were too close to each other and you’re literally sitting with strangers. The brunch menu was standard nothing special. The hot chocolate was very nice and their pastries were too. But food wise, it was just standard.
Sana S — Google review
We visited around 3 p.m. on a Sunday, and there was a bit queue, which we didn’t mind. We came specifically for their signature Mont Blanc. I’ve been enjoying this Mont Blanc for over 10 years whenever I visit Paris, but in my opinion, it used to taste better before. Now it’s served in a paper cup — convenient for takeaway, but it feels a bit cheap when dining in the salon, especially considering the €10.50 price. It’s worth trying at least once if you’ve never had it, but I’m not sure I’d come back for it next time.

Ladurée is a luxurious bakery that hails from Paris, renowned for its exquisite French macarons available in an array of delightful flavors. With their iconic pastel green boxes adorned with signature pink ribbons, Ladurée has become a global symbol of elegance and indulgence. The brand's aesthetic even inspired Sofia Coppola’s set design for the film 'Marie-Antoinette.'
We had the brunch (45€) and it was worth the price. The selection was varied, the ingredients were fresh, and the portions were satisfying. The overall quality matched the price point. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a good brunch experience.

We dined in, and the experience was fantastic! Our kiddos love the French hot chocolate, was like drinking melted chocolate. The macaroons were perfect, and my wife had some delicious French toast. The service was 5 stars. It was a fun experience in Paris.
Johannes K — Google review
This is the best kind of experience, i was longing for many years to come here and have a tea time , i ordered it just in time ( tea time is served from 3 pm to 6 pm ) they take the last order at 6h30 pm altough the lady messed a bit my order by switching one flavor of macaron ( caramel ) and forgetting my glass of champagne, i was such in a good mood that i am only going to put 5 stars to this experience because she immediately got forgiven by serving me a generous glass of champagne after i requested it and gifting me the macaron i ordered at the beginning . A perfect date with myself with delicious food . Nothing can go wrong with laduree altough i was craving a religieuse a la framboise ( which they havent at that precise day and time ) i was very pleased to have the tarte tatin instead. A very french experience for me . It was just perfect place for a happy girl like me .

We sat upstairs in the tea room and had a lovely time. The staff was very friendly. We had macarons and the Marie-Antoinette tea, which were all delicious.
May W — Google review
I am a bit disappointed in the presentation of the Ispahan French toast , it could be more elegant. The toast is good as it’s soft and wet which is soaked in egg completely, but the surface is burnt that brings out some bitterness. The rose ice cream and macaron are good. I like the special Laduree tea. The tea room is beautiful. Staff is attentive and helpful.
Ka L — Google review
Fantastic! I made macarons for my local farmers market for a whole summer, so I was excited to try the real thing! They had a great texture to the cookie, a small crunch and chewy center. The raspberry and pistachio were my favorite! I also had the rose and coffee flavors.
Robbie B — Google review
A century’s old macaron shop in Paris, with a romantic and ornate turquoise storefront that practically draws you in. The interior carries through with elegant decor in a classic French palace style. The various macaron flavors are just as tempting, and the packaging is refined, full of a sense of ceremony: a pastel green paper bag and a pink box, so charming you won’t want to let go! However, the macarons are on the sweeter side, with a slightly more artificial taste and a stronger almond flavor.
Moon R — Google review
Not the best Ladurée experience. The waiter said the tea was only for one cup and refused to provide a second, which felt disappointing. We ended up ordering two teapots, but it was too much — and felt a bit uncomfortable overall😔

La Rôtisserie d'Argent, also known as The Silver Tower, is a renowned French restaurant with a rich history dating back to 1582. Located on the Left Bank of Paris, it offers a stunning view of the Seine and Notre Dame Cathedral. The restaurant is famous for its house specialty, pressed duck, which has been enjoyed by historical figures like Marie Antoinette and Marilyn Monroe.
A French friend recommended this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed a fantastic meal — the escargots were rich and perfectly cooked, the duck terrine was outstanding, and both the half chicken and duck confit were juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and polite, making the experience even better. The location is excellent as well, right by the River Seine and just a short walk from Notre-Dame Cathedral. Highly recommended!

A wonderful French restaurant with an excellent selection of dishes. I absolutely loved the beef tartare and the escargots – both were outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly and always smiling, which makes the atmosphere even more welcoming. It’s the kind of place where every detail, from the food to the service, makes you want to come back again

We came all the way from Tokyo to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday, and this restaurant was the perfect finale to our trip. While we’ve visited Tour d’Argent Tokyo before and hoped to dine at the Paris location, it’s closed on Sundays. Thankfully, we booked this sister restaurant and had a wonderful evening. Our server Karim(i'm not sure his name spelling) delivered exceptional service. Every dish and wine pairing exceeded our expectations. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends visiting Paris.
Jacky J — Google review
We thought we were going to the upper level but got the street side version. A bit disappointing at the 7:30 reservation- the sun was hot and bright and it was hot. You are between the bridge and the road. Spent about $90 per person It is completely outside. So if it’s cold, plan on being cold. If it’s hot, plan on being VERY hot. The whole duck is why you go here. The breast was moist with a crunchy skin. The legs were fabulous! I would recommend this place but understand that this is not fancy. I can’t comment on that wine because I am not very familiar European wine. We were recommended a Rhône wine with the duck, but it tasted Pinot which is not my favorite. Menu is limited. Deserts are limited. Pricing is moderate. About $80 a person to eat here- is it worth it? Meh. Maybe for the duck but overall if given another opportunity ai would probably try something else.

What a wonderful place , the food was out of this world . Everything tasted like a dream . Hocine was just the most amazing waiter and I can say without a doubt that this restaurant is my favorite in Paris. Do yourself a favor and try it , you’ll be impressed.

Wonderful Quenelles and duck. Strongly recommend the desk facing the window after dark, as you can see the street much better in this angle.
C C — Google review
Its recommended to book in advance to come in this restaurant. The food was unbelievably good! The chicken was amazing. Next time will look to order the duck
Za_zsc — Google review
We went here with friends for dinner. We wanted something with high quality french favorites, with a twist and a view. We had the escargot for appetizers, terrine de canard. For the plate I had the poulpe with grilled vegetables and chickpea mousseline (which came with a twist of fresh raspberry sauce). We had the dessert of the day (pistachio) to finish up. We were seated on the terrace on the bridge overlooking Notre-Dame Cathedral. I was in awe with the staff and how the servers dodged traffic walking back and forth from the restaurant. Highly recommend if you are looking for classic Parisian dishes made with precision and flair.

Nestled in the charming 4th arrondissement of Paris, Pain Vin Fromages is a delightful haven for cheese lovers. This cozy eatery boasts stone walls and an inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to indulge in Savoyard specialties like raclette and fondue. With a diverse selection of cheeses sourced from France, guests can enjoy expertly crafted fondues that cater to all tastes.
Excellent food , the people here go the extra mile and more to make sure you will enjoy your meal and your experience. Lots of cheese varieties, and many cheese plateaus to choose from. Delicious meat and cheese fondues (i tried the one of the cheese ones in another visit). The wine selection covers 100% of potential mixings one cam imagine. A place to come back!
Dan H — Google review
Decent meal, but maybe I’m just not a fan of fondue and cheese-heavy meals (this one was almost a bit too much). Note that there is a one dish per person minimum, and don’t make one of them the Gargantua (it is 2 sandwiches, not just one). Bread was not my favorite - almost tasted a bit stale. Cheese was good. Highlight was the dessert - some of the best vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had.

A Slice of French Heaven! What an absolutely wonderful experience! We recently enjoyed a truly authentic and delicious French evening, savouring the best of French cheese, charcuterie, and wine in a charming Parisian setting. The quality of the food and drink was exceptional. The cheese board was a masterpiece, featuring a perfectly curated selection of regional cheeses, each one a delight. Paired with the generously portioned charcuterie of the finest French cured meats, and an exquisite French wine recommended by the staff, it was a gastronomic triumph. Every bite and every sip was a moment of pure culinary bliss. Beyond the superb food, the service truly elevated the experience. A huge thank you to Vincent, Alice, Barbara, and Etan for their incredible hospitality. They were attentive, friendly, and always available to answer questions and offer recommendations. Their warm and helpful nature made us feel completely welcome and well-cared for throughout the evening. This is a must-visit spot in Paris for anyone looking for a genuine, high-quality, and immensely enjoyable French apéritif or dinner experience. Highly recommended! P.S on our advice, soon will be available Jefferson digestive which is loved by Italian tourists 😉

Traditional Fromanges restaurant! This was our first time trying Formages, and it came highly recommended by friends. The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A special thanks to Noohou and other friendly staff for the warm and attentive service! We sat downstairs in a cozy, air-conditioned space, which was a huge plus during the summer heat. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent Fondue taste and quality, very cozy atmosphere specially in the lower ground seating area. I think to preserve better the fondue the flame must be turned down while eating.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Pain Vin Fromage! The food was amazing – the cheese fondue was rich, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the charcuterie and pickles. Everything tasted authentic and high quality. The service was outstanding – the staff are soooo nice, welcoming, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They took the time to explain things and really cared that we enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is wonderfully French: cozy, warm, and charming – exactly the kind of place you want to discover in Paris. Highly recommend this gem if you love cheese, great wine, and genuine hospitality. A must-visit when in Paris!

We ordered two different fondues and they came with a little burner underneath, which was nice to keep them warm. Since we didn’t have a reservation, we were only allowed to stay for an hour, and unfortunately the orders took a while to arrive so we had to eat quickly. Holybelly is a vibrant breakfast spot located in the trendy 10th arrondissement of Paris. With two restaurants on the same street, it offers different atmospheres and menus but shares the philosophy of 'Its Good Because Care.' The restaurant serves a variety of dishes such as homemade gnocchi, cherry and apricot cake, and Caesar salad with roasted free-range chicken. To manage crowds, Holybelly uses the Skeepit app to allow customers to join the queue virtually.
First of all, honorable mention to their warm and very personal service. Super polite and genuinely friendly — honestly an A+ for Paris. The atmosphere is super cozy and inviting. Portions were generous, and I loved that they bring maple syrup right to the table upon request. The hot chocolate was delicious, and my double-shot latte was spot on — with unexpectedly good latte art and excellent coffee. Definitely a place I’d come back to again! Small to no wait.

It has been a few years since I have returned to Holybelly, however they still do not disappoint! The breakfast arrived fast and was very well plated. The staff in both the kitchen and servers all seemed to work together well and were happy, a sign of a good workplace. To add to the experience the pancakes were yummy. Soft, light, fluffy, and retained their freshness throughout the meal. Just a great delicious meal all around, and glad that they are still top!

I absolutely love getting some pancakes at HolyBelly, been here a few times and I don’t think i’ve had more authentic pancakes at any other place in Paris. The ambiance is super fun, the restaurant is huge and the servers are super friendly. There is definitely a bit of queue, but it moves really fast.

This place came highly recommended and I could tell it was going to be good by the long wait line. The hype and stellar reviews were warranted - (almost) everything I had here was incredible! Started off with their chai latte before ordering the savory stack with potato pucks. Truly some of the best pancakes I’ve had! They’re pillowy soft and pair excellently with the bourbon butter and the very unique bacon salt and maple syrup. It’s really all a delight for your taste buds. The hash browns were just okay and weren’t anything special - they were bland in comparison to the treat that was the savory stack. Service here was great, friendly, and interactive thanks to Big John and Valentino. They were able to help store my bags for me as well. Overall great experience - I’d recommend this place to anyone and look forward to coming back soon.

Excellent breakfast! Sometimes in Paris it can be difficult to find a place that serves a solid breakfast with eggs and Holly Belly is the solution. So good. Friendly service, good size portions and nice menu with all the breakfast classics like pancakes, eggs, hash-browns and more. They have a good size interior dining room and overall good vibes. Special shoutout to the server staff for being some of the friendliest I found in France :-)

First off the seating is very comfortable plus The food options are great for everyone & the service is very fast. While you are waiting kids get super sharp pencil crayons and a coloring sheet to keep them busy. The food portions are also a good size. The restaurant and the washrooms are super clean. All the staff in the restaurant are very kind. They also use organic maple syrup from Canada. Holy belly is a five star restaurant!

Came to try American pancakes 🥞 😙 The cafe offers savory eggs & meat, sweet with seasonal fruit & whip cream or just 3 plain We went for the season fruit and plain stack plus butter. The butter with the pancakes alone were really good. Fast enough to not even need syrup The sweet pancakes came with orange, apple slices, berries, hazelnuts, whip cream that was not sweet and syrup already poured The pancakes themselves were not fluffy but really flat. Reminds me of ones you’d make yourself at your house in USA Service was top notch and our server Spoke English. We’ve had a lot of bad service in Paris but this was amazing. Worth the tip at the end Super line after opening and 2 hours later when we passed by Would come back 😙✌️

Food was nothing special to be honest but the service and atmosphere was horrendous. I was seated next to a family of three with a kid who would not stop bouncing around on the sofa chair. The entire seat kept moving as a result. When I requested to move to another table, a service staff was happy to accommodate and asked me for a reason which I had informed her of. She was very sweet about the request and happy to help. The disaster of this place would be the manager Alice. at first she told me that she can’t move m because there was no avail table, which I understand. However a table freed up and I asked to move, she said that I couldn’t because I already ordered? What kind of a reason is that and why didn’t she say it in the first place then? I first requested to change my seat after I ordered? she didn’t even bother asking me for a reason nor did she share any form of empathy. Not surprised if Alice rejected my request because I’m Asian as she kept making friendly talk to the French family next to me and showed me none of that friendly attitude form the moment she took down my order :-)

We've always enjoyed coming here with no wait time, but today it was a different experience. The place was extremely busy, with delivery drivers constantly coming in to pick up orders. Honestly, the chaos and lack of organization were evident — people waiting for their orders were sitting on outer chairs, while those waiting to be seated were standing. The one staff seemed overwhelmed, focusing mainly on outside orders and struggling to manage both efficiently. We ended up waiting nearly an hour just to be seated and place our order. Interestingly, I noticed a staff member sitting at a four-seater table with a friend, only wiping down tables after they were vacated — all while guests were waiting. Despite the busy experience today, I still think this is one of the best burger spots in town, even though some staff members showed indifference and told us to leave, saying they're busy if we didn't want to wait longer.

Miznon, located just a stone's throw away from Rue des Rosiers and the famous As du Falafel, has made a name for itself by specializing in delectable pita sandwiches. The Parisian outpost stays true to the winning formula of its original Tel Aviv location, boasting a simple yet charming decor adorned with an abundance of fresh produce.
Casual, reliable spot for Israeli food on the go. Everything is fresh, simple, well prepared — from the pitas to the roasted cauliflower. It can get busy during peak hours, but come at the right time and it’s easy to walk in. I like it quite a bit, always a good option in the Marais.
Yevgen G — Google review
Came here for lunch with a group of friends. The place has a lively, casual vibe and is clearly popular—so popular, in fact, that getting a table can be a bit of a challenge. They don’t take reservations, which adds to the wait-time stress, and unfortunately, some guests don’t hesitate to skip the line and claim tables as soon as one opens up. Definitely a bit chaotic at peak hours, so patience (and maybe a little assertiveness) is key. Once seated, the service was efficient—orders were taken quickly and the food started arriving dish by dish, which worked fine for our group. The standout for me was the vegetarian selection: the roasted cauliflower, artichokes, and green beans were all incredibly flavorful and well-seasoned—simple ingredients but done right. The lamb kebab was also a hit, served tucked inside warm bread with a nice balance of spice and tenderness. I also tried one of their Israeli beers, which surprisingly reminded me of Anker, a beer from Indonesia—light, crisp, and nostalgic in a way I didn’t expect. Overall, a fun spot for casual dining with bold flavors. I'd definitely come back, especially for the veggie dishes.

Got the lamb in a pita and also tried the beef bourguignon — the lamb was fantastic and tender, but the beef bourguignon was out of this world. It melts in your mouth and is absolutely unforgettable. The homemade lemonade is also excellent — refreshing and not too sweet, just the way it should be. They have an English menu, which is really thoughtful and helpful for visitors. Everyone here is incredibly friendly. Definitely recommend — strongly!

There aren’t enough ingredients to even call it a salad and why the hell do I have to make it. I could buy a tomato and lemon at the grocery store and it would be cheaper than this 6€ “salad”. Waitress was whatever, inside is cute. My partners food looked good but I didn’t try any so I can’t review that.

Says best falafel in the world and that does it justice. Have had a lot of falafel including the one in the same street where people queue for and this was better than all. The falafel itself had so much flavor and that with an amazing hummus and some mixed vegetables (cucumber, cole, carrot, aubergine) the aubergine was so nice and silky and just everything together was amazing. We also had an kadaïf which they first gave the wrong one we said and they gave us the other right away, the man was very sweet and helpful. All together would definitely recommend! Also over l’as du falafel. (Or maybe do a tasting of both and taste for yourself;))

Went with some friends as a last minute stop. We’re visiting from LA and our group needed to meet back up in less than 30 minutes. There was no wait and so I entered even though I’ve never liked falafel at home. When I exited, I loved falafel. It was a transformative experience. The service was amazing and fast, and even though they didn’t speak strong English, they were very helpful and kind. The food was very reasonably priced, and it was so damn good. We got the chicken breast, curry, and falafel special. The portions were generous and really really good. The place is very nice and clean and it has a very homey environment. They were very welcoming, and we didn’t feel out of place at all as a group of POC teens. We were able to make it back to our group in time. My only regret is that we weren’t able to stay longer. 100% must visit if I’m ever back in Paris again. This may be my only review on Google reviews but this place made it worth it.

We really enjoyed the food, everything was super tasty! The staff were so nice and even surprised the kids with a free dessert. Totally recommend!

You might have heard that L’as du Falafel is the place to go for falafel in Le Marais… so did we. But believe me, the falafel at Chez Hanna is the best one in Paris, hands down. The hummus is smooth and flavourful, the falafel melts in your mouth, the fried aubergines have a silky texture and the fresh vegetables give an amazing bite. The portion is big, and filling. We had a kadayif for desert, and was amazing! I find it hard to find in levantine restaurantes lately. I would recommend having it with a coffee to complement its sweetness. The staff is funny, and helpful. Very friendly people. I’ll come back next time in Paris!

Some of the best falafel I ever tried! The menu offers too many delights to try them all, but the falafel platter and the Moroccan chicken were amazing! If you are in a rush or don't want to sit down, you can also opt for a pita sandwich to go, though I'd recommend it for the atmosphere of dining on the narrow street alone. The service was also fantastic - pay no heed to older reviews. We had a good waiter who took great care of us!

This was seriously an amazing restaurant!! Our waitress Carola was so nice and gave us recommendations on what to order which helped so much! Navigating Paris as English speakers only is hard enough but she was able to explain everything and the food recommendations were AMAZING!! The food was seriously so good and it came out so fast. Great service.

Café Varenne is a charming gem nestled in the chic 7th arrondissement of Paris, perfect for those leisurely lunches that stretch into delightful afternoons. This beloved local haunt sits at the intersection of rue du Bac and rue de Varenne, just a stone's throw from the official residence of France's Prime Minister. The café boasts an inviting atmosphere where you can savor classic French dishes like flavorful Escargots de Bourgogne, served with ample sauce for dipping bread—a must-try!
Visited here for lunch today and tried the famous roasted chicken which was excellent. Tight but comfortable seating outside. We did not have a reservation on a Saturday lunch and had a 5-10 minute wait for a table. Service excellent, clean restrooms on lower level. Realized after we were seated Barefoot Contessa likes to frequent. Would recommend.

While it looks like a decent French restaurant the food quality does not match neither initial impression nor the prices. Eggs under mayonnaise were overcooked, onions in French onion soup were only slightly cooked and not caramelized, and the steaks were raw inside!! I did not expect such subpar quality from a French establishment. It feels like they are trying to serve as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time forgoing the quality of the food. Highly disappointing.

Cafe Varenne was a great stop after the Rodin museum.Matthieu was our server and he was attentive and courteous. Duck confit, chicken, fish and steak tartare, plus a few starters and dessert were well received.

If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. We had the French onion soup, escargot, foie gras, hanger steak with shallot sauce, and duck confit. Service was friendly. Not the greatest representation of each dish here but not the worst either. French onion soup (2/5) : was watery, beef stock not very rich, onions not very caramelized, overall flavour was lacking for a French onion soup but it was tasty enough (like a light onion-y broth) to drink. Escargot (4/5) : garlic parsley butter escargot, emphasis on the parsley with a hint of garlic - pretty good Foie gras (5/5) - on bread, delicious, flavour was great. fatty like butter, personally would not eat it off bread. Hanger steak (3/5) : not bad, not great. medium rare is more a medium between rare and bleu - order medium if you’re squeamish about rare. Salad was fresh, fries good not great. Duck confit (3.5/5) : some tender parts, edges of the duck tended to be tougher. Skin was crispy.

**Update: Ask for Alex - Merci pour ce bon moment :) What more could you ask for than good food, drinks , staff and people watching. They welcome non-Parisians so please don’t be intimidated! Sit outside, have a glass of wine, order some food and PLEASE have some damn dessert! I came here in October 2025 after doing a whole lot of shopping and walking around the neighbourhood. I embarrassed myself in the first 10 minutes dropping my knife while trying to enjoy bread and butter and knowing 2 words of French. Trust me, as an awkward American if I can sit here for 3 hours after making a fool of myself, you can order some food! The staff are all so nice, professional and fast. Idk how they do it everyday, all day. I spent my night doing lots of people and dog watching while enjoying really yummy food. I think their desserts are the best part, so say yes to whatever they offer! There’s a good mix of regulars, locals and tourists so just give it a try because the place gets busy if you don’t. Trust me you won’t regret it, I went back multiple times!

Verjus is a popular New American restaurant located in Paris, known for its stunning tasting menu and impressive wine list. The restaurant was founded by Americans Braden Perkins and Laura Adrian, who previously hosted successful Hidden Kitchen dinners out of their apartment. Verjus offers inventive and outstanding cuisine that changes daily and seasonally, featuring fixed menus with a diverse range of ingredients, techniques, and cultural influences. The multi-course menus are designed to surprise and delight diners.
I had a nice dinner at Verjus. Staff is so friendly. The Space is beautiful. And the food was delicious, the vegetables treatment is amazing, so delicious, as much as outshine the meat and the fish. I will be back, for sure.

A very pleasant dinner. All the courses were good, but the fish was fantastic. The combinations of flavours worked really well. Service was friendly. Its a bit dark in the restaurant.
Nicole V — Google review
Verjus is one of those hidden gems you dream about discovering in Paris. If you’re not looking for it, you might walk right past — it’s tucked away on a quiet side street near the Jardin du Palais Royal. My wife and I went to Paris this spring to celebrate our ten-year wedding anniversary, and while we dined at plenty of great places, this meal stood out as something truly magical. The restaurant itself is small and intimate — just a handful of tables, spaced close enough to feel cozy but not cramped. The staff is tiny too (maybe two servers total), but they were warm, attentive, and efficient. Our server spoke solid English (which was a relief given our terrible French) and explained each dish clearly. We booked late and ended up with the earliest reservation of the night. For the first 15–20 minutes, we had the place to ourselves, which felt almost too quiet, but as other tables slowly filled in, the vibe turned warm and lively. My guess is they stagger the reservations to keep the flow manageable for the small team — and it works. We were completely satisfied with the service. Now, the food. Wow. This was one of the best meals we had in Paris — maybe one of the top meals I’ve ever had. The menu is set, so you won’t be picking from a list, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. It is clear that they chef has put a tremendous amount of time and effort into curating the meal. Each course was beautifully plated and thoughtfully composed, with a strong seasonal and farm-to-table feel (see my non-Instagram worthy pictures). The flavors were elegant but not over-complicated—a balanced approach to the typical high-end tasting menu. They do say they can accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions, though we didn’t test that out. And while the experience isn’t cheap, it’s very fairly priced compared to other tasting menus of this caliber in Paris. Definitely spring for the wine pairing — it elevated the meal even more. In short: if you’re in Paris and want a special dining experience make time for Verjus. But unlike us, try to book well in advanced. However, it you can’t get in there is a cozy bar in the basement.
David J — Google review
This was one of the best dining experiences I have enjoyed in my life. Restaurant is quaint and charming. The servers were all so friendly and polite. They took time to speak to us about both the food, and our Paris experience. We paired our courses with wine, and all three complimented the food beautifully. Doing so is pricey, but if you want to have a fabulous dining experience and have a meal you will always remember, then I can’t recommend the restaurant enough

Artfully prepared, delicious tasting menu! So well thought-out and prepared. The service was friendly, informative, and efficient. We don’t know French and they kindly accommodated us in English. The ambiance is very sweet and quaint. Not too busy with reservation system. Highly recommend!

A different type of service but amazing on all fronts. You will start off with some champagne in the front and then walk upstairs to the communal dining room. I am not the most adventurous eater but I tried everything and it was all amazing. Each had its own wine pairing and all of the dishes were well explained and sourced locally. You will sit with other groups but we made great friends with the people across from us. Fish, beef, dessert were all fantastic. The experience took a few hours but they were spent with smiles.
Nathan M — Google review
One of our best meals in Paris this time around; everything was consistently delicious. The potatoes with smoked trout was the standout for me: the richness of the roe, the smokiness of the trout, and the acid coming from the pickled onion worked well together. All in all each dish was unique and very balanced. The only one that was good not great was the lamb with peas. Will be back next time we are in town.
Art R — Google review
I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Every dish was exquisite. I especially loved the tomatoes tonight. The menu changes all the time so I’m excited to come back again and again. A perfect place to celebrate. It was my birthday along with guests at two other tables so I guess everyone had the same idea. The wine pairing was just right. The herbs are grown at their own farm outside of Paris. The service is terrific. The small space is adorable. They did a great renovation. The location on the Palais royal is wonderful. I love everything about Verjus.

Le Ruisseau Burger Joint is a modern and compact dining spot known for its artisan burgers, typical sides, beer, and desserts. Located near the Pompidou Centre in Paris, this joint stands out by offering a variety of burger choices including veggie, breaded chicken, and chicken patties. The menu is creative and allows for swapping any burger with a veggie patty. Customers praise the delicious and fresh burgers as well as the friendly staff.
Get The Fish Sandwich! Yes the burgers are good. But it's the fish sandwich that I will remember. Toasted brioche bun with seasoned fish, fried to perfection. I ate this sandwich 2 days in a row. The sandwich comes with lettuce and sauce. Ask for the sandwich plain if you don't want it to become soggy halfway through. The crunch of the 1st bite will have you hooked. This place is literally a booth on the street. Don't be deterred. Even the fries are delicious. They have some sort of delicious red sauce for the fries, but I put that on my fish and went straight to fish heaven. If you want an unpretentious, delicious, hot, quick, on-the-go meal, this is your place.

If you're looking for a tasty burger in Paris without breaking the bank, this place is a must-visit. The burgers are delicious, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. These are some really cheesy burgers which I enjoyed. The fries are also good and the portion is generous. My only minor issue was that it seemed a little undercooked for a medium-well burger. There’s also very limited seating available. Other than that the service was great and I would definitely recommend getting a burger from here.

Restaurant was small but cute, servers were very nice/smiley and asked whether we would like to order in french or English. Burgers were nice but a bit expensive, around €16+. (Honourable mention is that there is a sink by the tables for you to wash your hands before/after you eat)

Fries were a 5/5 and the special sauce had a rich mustardy flavor. The burger bun needs to be a bit thinner to allow the meat & fresh ingredients to shine!

With its warm lighting and comfortable seating including armchairs, it's the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely afternoon.
Our family of four had a truly delightful breakfast at La Bossue, where we were greeted by a charming and attentive staff. We chose to sit outside, allowing us to savor our coffee and hot chocolate while enjoying the beautiful morning ambiance. It was the perfect start to our day, and we can't wait to return!

It’s a very cute & cozy cafe for sure & the atmosphere is great, but a bit crowded for my taste. The food is pretty average. Nothing to write home about. It’s overpriced for sure. You have different choices for breakfast and none of them include the drinks. It becomes a very pricey affair for croissants & coffee & I’m not impressed with their pastries. I’ve also been here for the brunch, and that was fine because you can eat just about everything on their menu. It’s a bit expensive, but it’s worth the money if you’re into eating large quantities of food, which I’m not into. Their food is pretty average all in all. Will I visit there again? Probably not.

Wonderful little breakfast spot with a great selection of food and drinks. We had an espresso and a mocha. The espresso was normal but the mocha was amazing, chocolaty and delicious. Had the Pauline breakfast which is a lot (but not too much) of baked goods and a bit of jam. The jam was excellent, the brioche soft and sweet. The pecan roll was great and so was the Madeline. Next time I’d consider getting the Christiane as that is what all the locals were eating

Very cute small café with a special charm and very nice staff. For breakfast you can choose between three different menus or select some pastures and drink and mix it. We had the "grandmothers" breakfast with a soft-boiled egg, cheese and bread. It was very very fresh and sound and also presented nicely. The coffee was a bit sour, bit my orange juice was delicious. I can totally recommend this place, and payment by cards is also possible

A beautiful spot to have an amazing treat. Chef Ruth is both extremely talented (the cherry tartlet was divine and the cinnamon roll and Madeline wonderful!) and she was so kind and helpful in finding us gluten free and other options to fit our tastes. Couldn’t have been a better choice! Postcards by the counter done by Chef Ruth and other local artists were an unexpected, charming, and unique souvenir.

Great Parisian brunch spot that has brunch buffet, but you need to book to ensure a table. Good selection of savoury and sweet buffet options, with drinks included. Quaint interior and outdoor seating is a good option depending on weather, although they do supply blankets.

The coffee and pastries were delicious, and the atmosphere of the place was charming. However, I did experience a minor inconvenience when I ordered takeout and tried to sit outside. The staff asked me to leave, as eating takeout on the premises wasn’t allowed. While I understand that every place has its own policies, I was a bit surprised that I wasn’t offered an alternative, such as ordering something else to enjoy there.

Trendy doesn't always mean good.In this case trendy means dozy.Luke warm coffee.Had to ask twice for milk and sugar.Toast came up whiter than white (don't the French know what toast is ?) and got sent back to be "toasted" which took 20 minutes and wasn't any more toasted (and tasteless as in Wonderloaf) Maybe they use a lightbulb to toast bread. Got this place out of Rick Steve’s tour book and chose it because it was close to the Eiffel Tower which we visited in the afternoon. Taxi driver got confused/lost but we made our reservation. Small place. Diners near us had small children and they themselves were loud. We didn’t really converse because we would have to almost yell to be heard. Two of us had veggie burgers that they said were good. We shared the tuna/artichoke bruschetta and the cheese appetizer. Both were good. We ordered red wine (the first one on the list 8€). I really didn’t care for it and didn’t finish it (very unusual for me). The food was good, but the atmosphere lacked.

Soon K — Google review
I came here after reading the reviews knowing it was either going to be fantastic or terrible. I took the risk, and unfortunately it was not the best experience or burgers... My girlfriend orders the bleu with no caramelised onion medium cooked meat. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger medium-rare in a meal with cheesy fries and coke. After afew minutes of sitting we got our meals, except she had the cheesy fried on her plate, and I had a serving of fries. So I thought no worries they made a simple mistake, we told them and they took the extra fries away. My burger taste was decent, bacon was crispy and the meat was tender even though it was cooked closer to medium with no red in sight... Now comes the bad part of my girlfriends burger. The meat was so raw. It was closer to raw vs. Medium rare. Even unedible by my standards...so I thought ok we can't eat this, I'll ask them just to heat it up since we ate a small portion and I didn't want to be rude. They said they don't have a microwave so they will just make a new one for us. Ok that sounded great until they came out with the new burger. Firstly, it had caremelized onion. I would understand if they were busy and had customers. But they had none except a couple of delivery orders. But the worst part of it all, the meat was just as raw as the first burger! Absolutely rediculous 😩 (edit: it seems just 1/4th of the patty was quite rare, like their stove is missing heating spots or something...) Experience aside. The burger was 6 out of 10. Daniel Thaiger Thailand is still my no 1. There was no juice coming out of my burger and the cheese was strange. If you decide to eat here, I hope you have better luck than us

As tasty as an English breakfast in London but somehow lighter. Smiling and attentive waiters and waitresses. Cozy atmosphere different on the two floors, clean. Looking forward to an afternoon tea given the tasty desserts we had with the lunch.

Great brunch, nice cakes, and amazing teas. The atmosphere is cozy, and the decorations are switched every season (Harry Potter on October !)

This place is AMAZING! The grilled cheese sandwich is amazing, the tea is really good, and they had the best red velvet cake that I’d ever tasted. The service was also really good and professional. The building itself is really cute and creates the perfect atmosphere for a good tea date. I plan to visit this location again in the near future.

Super brunch. Large choice of teas and cakes. Only downfall is a lot of the teas aren't included in the brunch menu. Count around thirty euros for the brunch. It's worth it! The place is very cozy and modern at the same time. Highly recommend.

Ladurée is an upscale bakery with Parisian roots, renowned for its exquisite French macarons available in a variety of flavors. The brand gained widespread recognition after featuring in the 2006 film Marie Antoinette, where actress Kirsten Dunst indulged in their macarons. Known for their signature pastel-colored macarons, Ladurée has recently shifted focus under the leadership of pastry chef Claire Heitzler towards prioritizing quality ingredients and seasonal variations.
Visiting Ladurée Champs-Élysées is truly a magical Parisian experience. Located on the world’s most iconic avenue, this elegant tea room combines French luxury, history, and indulgence all in one place. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a refined décor that perfectly blends tradition with Parisian chic. The staff is attentive, professional, and always ready with great recommendations, whether it’s for their world-famous macarons or the signature pastries. The macarons are, of course, the highlight—delicate, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavor. Pairing them with a pot of their fragrant tea or a rich hot chocolate makes for an unforgettable treat. Their brunch and dessert menus are also excellent, offering a wide selection of French classics prepared with finesse. Whether you sit inside their beautifully decorated salon or outside with a view of the Champs-Élysées, the atmosphere is simply enchanting. It’s more than just a café—it’s a true Parisian institution where every visit feels special.

A Glimmer of Parisian Grandeur on the Champs-Élysées Amidst the bustle of the Champs-Élysées, Ladurée’s flagship salon offers a serene retreat, a pastel jewel box that feels indulgently Parisian. While the avenue brims with global commerce, stepping inside transports you to a world of elegance and charm. The recent renovations have enhanced its timeless appeal, blending Belle Époque sophistication with modern comfort. The ornate interiors now feel warmer and more inviting, perfect for afternoon tea or a leisurely lunch. Of course, the stars are the macarons. Each delicate bite — whether the floral rose or the indulgent salted caramel — balances crispness with tender sweetness, a hallmark of Ladurée’s craft. The pastries are no less impressive, miniature works of art that delight both the eyes and the palate. Though often labeled a tourist pilgrimage, the attentive service and consistently superb quality elevate the experience well beyond cliché. Ladurée remains a place to savor not just French patisserie, but a touch of Parisian perfection, right on the world’s most famous avenue.

Wow! I had high expectations for the macarons but was stunned by the beauty of the shop. They have curated this location so beautifully; you are in a dream being there! The Macarons were the perfect mix of slight crunch on the outside and soft, yummy inside. None of the flavors tasted artificial, and my favorite was the passionfruit. This is a must stop location in Paris.

Ladurée is a truly enchanting Parisian café. We tried their macarons and coffee here, but the experience goes far beyond that, the atmosphere itself is captivating. The setting is elegant and charming, and the macarons are absolutely delicious. To be honest, I’ve had macarons of similar quality in Türkiye as well, but the ambiance here makes everything feel more special and refined. Places like this are not just about taste- the whole experience comes together as one. It’s definitely a spot that deserves a place on your Paris list.
Ozan K — Google review
Very nice place, very cute french vibes. They have a restaurant, we didnt eat there. Its expensive. On the side door you can stand in line for the macrons. They use jam and not frosting, they were the best you will ever try most likely. Worth it to try. They have probably about a dozen or so flavors. You get a nice box with your purchase. They serve hot drinks and other sweets we didnt try them.
Porter C — Google review
I honestly expected this place to be a big tourist trap, but the truth is I really loved it. Yes, we had to wait in line to be seated, but it was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious – we ordered avocado toast, a burrata salad, a cocktail, and hot chocolates. Everything was beautifully prepared, and the hot chocolates were simply incredible! The service was excellent as well – attentive, professional, and very welcoming, which made the experience even better. To top it all off, we picked up some macarons at the end to take home as gifts, and they were delightful. Overall, it turned out to be a wonderful experience, much better than I had anticipated. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

Lauderee Paris is a MUST if you are visiting "The City of Lights" I highly reccomend the tea expérience, and their hot chocolate ! I was stunned at how delicous the Chocolat Chaud was! It was even better than "Angelina's" steaming beverage! Make certain to make réservations first, they do get quite busy. The staff is all very friendly and the atmosphère and ambiance are phénoménal. A small slice of Heaven on Earth!
Elisa C — Google review
A Glimmer of Parisian Grandeur on the Champs-Élysées Amidst the bustling grandeur of the Champs-Élysées, Ladurée's flagship salon continues to offer a delightful respite, a vibrant pastel jewel box that transcends mere retail. While the avenue itself can be a whirlwind of global commerce, stepping into Ladurée is to be transported to a softer, more indulgent Paris. The recent renovations have only enhanced its timeless appeal, with the refreshed interiors offering a charming blend of classic elegance and modern comfort. The delicate hues and ornate details still evoke the Belle Époque, yet the flow feels more inviting, more attuned to the leisurely pursuits of an afternoon tea or a relaxed lunch. And then, of course, there are the macarons. These diminutive confections, a hallmark of the house, remain as exquisite as ever. Each bite is a whisper of flavor — from the subtle floral notes of rose to the rich depth of salted caramel – encased in that inimitable crisp shell and yielding, tender interior. Beyond the famed macarons, the pastries are miniature works of art, almost too beautiful to consume, yet utterly irresistible. While some might consider Ladurée a pilgrimage for tourists, its enduring quality and the impeccable, attentive service suggest otherwise. It is a place where one can truly savor the art of French patisserie, a small pocket of perfection that, even on the world's most famous avenue, feels uniquely, wonderfully Parisian.

French restaurant
Le Train Bleu is a lavish dining spot located on the first floor of Gare de Lyon, established in 1901 to match the prestige of the trains passing through. The iconic brasserie boasts traditional decor and is listed as a historic monument. With its festive menu curated by double Michelin-starred chef Michel Rostang, it offers classic French dishes like Dauphine ravioli and rum baba with homemade punch.
There really is nothing like it. Located at the Gare de Lyon train station this turn of the century restaurant is first class. Service is impeccable, cuisine is outstanding no matter what you choose. And the atmosphere is both electric as well as culturally traditional. The ceiling and walls are ornate with painted murals. Reminded me of Florence or Rome. This high class eatery is bustling with activity and people coming and going. Thus it tends to be noisy but honestly you dont care because its all part of the experience. As far as dishes are concerned the roast lamb, beef bourguignon, duck pate, and desserts are done to perfection. Crepe suzette is prepared flambe style tableside, the roast lamb is carved tableside as well. Just too much to mention here but if you are in Paris this is a must stop even if it's for lunch.

This restaurant is located inside a large train station. The interior has a unique style that's great for photos, although it does feel a bit dated. The menu actually offers a wide variety of choices. The food is delicious, and the service is very fast, making it perfect for those who need to catch a train. The prices are a bit higher than restaurants in the city center, which is understandable given the location and the lack of other good non-fast food options nearby. If you're looking for a proper meal with plenty of variety while in a hurry, this is a solid choice.

Category: Fine Dining. Originally opened in 1901 as the Buffet de Gare in the Gare de Lyon train station, this stunning Beaux Arts-ish restaurant was designed to complement the Paris Universal Exposition. Everything you might imagine Turn of the Century (19th to 20th) Paris to be like is encapsulated in this opulent dining salon. The only thing missing is accordion music, but there’s something better (read on). Grand ornate archways soar to higher, wider archways, which lead the eye to the ceiling’s multiple gold cartouche. The lower arches frame hallways linking one dining room to the next. The wider archways and cartouche frame 41 murals depicting life in the Belle Epoque. The huge multi-globe chandeliers illuminate the rooms with hundreds of points of light, which were impressive during our lunchtime visit and are surely even more so at night. Our large-enough-for-four white tableclothed table had a leather banquette for Sarah on one side and a chair for me on the other. Most cool were the brass coat and hat racks above the banquettes and the brass luggage racks, which reminded me of similar racks above the seats on vintage railroads we have ridden. Excellent and expert service was provided by an army of tuxedoed waiters during an extremely busy lunch service. We ordered the beef tartare, which was prepared tableside for our pleasure. Excellent and generous. I ordered the Skate Wing Grenobloise (Aile de Raie), which was prepared as a pave, which I found disappointing for two reasons: 1. the menu didn’t warn that it was not the classic preparation and 2. the classic preparation would have been better (see my YouTube lesson on making this classic dish). I suggest either preparing it classically and maybe even tableside, or changing the menu to specify the pave preparation. Despite my disappointment, I give the food five stars because all of the food on the nearby tables looked great, including the roast leg of lamb (Gigot d’Agneau), which was carved at the next table from a trolley. We didn’t order dessert but I recommend the tableside Crepe Suzette or the incredible cheese selection, which we enjoyed vicariously as they were prepared and served very nearby. We ordered an excellent Chinon (Cab Franc) by the glass and we were happy to see a sufficient number of economically priced bottles (we don’t like to spend much money on restaurant wine), from which we would have chosen if we had not just completed about 15 hours of air travel. And by the way, if you bring kids, don’t expect a typical U.S. kids menu. French kids or French-kid Wannabes can choose between skate wing, seared scallops, or beef tartare, in child-sized portions of course. I love it. Everything about this experience was exceptional but one highlight stood out: shortly after our wine was delivered a tall tuxedoed server walked into the center of the dining room, rang a little bell, welcomed everyone, then belted out a beautiful a capella rendition of La Vie en Rose in a booming voice. Some people sang along. Everyone applauded. We’ll be back. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice

It is an upscale place in a train station, quite surprising for me. They also have a bar and some side tables which it seems do not require reservation and can be used by real travellers. I ate the PATÉ EN CROUTE as apetiser, it lacked salt, I mean really no salt what so ever and the crust was a bit uncooked. For main course the COCOTTE PINTADE which is some kind of stew with 2 pieces of guinea fowl breast (the brest was also unsalted) pretty tasty as a whole. We also had octopus and fish which were pretty good, but the potato puree, altough it had plenty of butter, was unsalted too. What they lacked in salt, they made up at desert... they left us the rum bottle for the baba au rhum... plenty of rum... The toilets were not up to the standard of the location, but usable. Overall a very nice place with wonderful service at the table, I gave them 4* only because they misplaced a jacket, it is totally worth a visit and 100 euro pp.

It's a stunning restaurant and a must do at least once. So beautiful. I've had much better food at my local french restaurant in Florida.. The leg of lamb was tough, the potatoes au gratin were boring, and the pineapple tart, not great. But the experience was worth it. I had a beautiful glass of Chablis that cost 27.00. That was not the price on the menu. The singing maitre'd was a lovely surprise. We ladies really enjoyed ourselves and it was a treat to experience this beautiful, historic restaurant.

We made our reservation for this restaurant 3 months before leaving Australia to go on our trip to Europe. Going to this restaurant was our special treat and we were looking forward to it. The location was surprising – it is upstairs, inside a very large railway station. The ceiling and ambience were stunning. We ate roast lamb for mains and it was carved at our table and served with roasted garlic and gravy and potatoes dauphinoise. It was delicious. The servings were large and there was enough potato for at least 4 people. For dessert I had the pistachio souffle with cherry sorbet and my friend had the petit fours. We both enjoyed our meals immensely. The service was great and even though the waiter did not know what a lemon, lime and bitters was, he asked me to tell him how to make it and he made it for me – he did a good job too. We really enjoyed our dinner here & would recommend it.
Kerin C — Google review
We had a great experience and the food was really good. Just lacking in some of the details like a dirty knife, a bent fork and under seasoned food. We loved the atmosphere once inside at the train station and the staff were lovely. We had the roast chicken, beef tartare, pate de champagne, foie gras and leg of lamb.
Mindy B — Google review
This was our fifth evening in Paris and the anticipation of the event far exceeded the actual event. The room is beautiful, the staff polite and professional however the food is not very good and I’m being polite. The restaurant is arranged with visual blocks like plants and patricians so you can only see about 4-5 tables around your area. Michael had the roasted veal rump and I had chicken with eggplant. We both didn’t finish half of our entrees as the food was bland and under cooked. We had no starters or dessert. We could not help but notice that the tables around us were also having the same experience as they too were not finishing their plates or asking for doggie bags. This restaurant is for visual enjoyment and it’s very beautiful, however the food does not compare to other choices in Paris. We do not recommend this restaurant sadly.

Owner Youssef Louanjli takes pride in offering homemade menu items that change with the seasons and availability of ingredients. The cafe is known for its house-made granola and simple yet delicious dishes like avocado and poached egg toast. It's an ideal spot to begin your day before exploring the historic streets nearby.
Amazing coffee The BEST Carrot cake i have ever had. Also amazing avocado on toast. So much avocado. English and French speaking. Also they do prefer cash as well but do have card.

The shop is petite, meaning to say, very limited seating. I have to wait for 30mins to get seated but you can order coffee and pastries and have it to go. Getting seated is terribly hard. The food however makes it worth the wait. The avocado toasts with poached egg is really delicious. Not to mention their great tasting coffee. If you have time to spare, this is a worth while breakfast to try. But beware of the waiting time.

Extremely customer- and tourist-friendly! The interior decor has unique and relaxing vibe. Their baked-goods (though a bit pricey) were some must-trys! Coffee was average. Avocado toasts were good but were not the best in Paris.

Delicious coffee and pastries, very recommend but quite busy, so you might need to wait a while. The Avocado toast is superb and the scones also great.

This tucked-away place in the Marais quarter of Paris serves truly excellent coffee. Perhaps the most delicious espresso I've ever had (and I've had a few!). Their pastries are homemade. I had the carrot cake, which was great, and an avocado on toast topped with a poached egg: delicious. Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere (similar to West Coast-style Neighbourhood cafés) and friendly service (though a little slow at times). I cannot recommend this place highly enough, especially to the discerning coffee connoisseur.

Oh wow! Just a spectacular cafe! Very homey and welcoming small cafe with a farmhouse feeling. Espresso was light, fruity, mild chocolate aftertaste. You’ll see by the pictures they are making some items in-house. Obviously I highly recommend!

This could be the best cup I had in Paris unexpectedly. When seeing this small town house got packed for people coming for brunch, I was a bit concerned. They proved me wrong. Their coffee is just as sophisticated as either London's or Berlin's: great balanced aroma, punchy taste and smooth texture for a flatwhite. I also enjoyed seeing this typical Parisian town house interior a lot, especially seeing all the vinyl and the colourful tiles. The staff were very friendly. The only thing, it gets packed easily as it's so popular, but definitely worth a visit.

I found out about the café via a food blog, and from how the writer described it, it was definitely on my priority list for my trip to Paris. We had to wait a bit in line, but everything was very well organised. Nasimma, our waitress, was really sweet, respectful, and fun to talk to. We got the cutest table, and the whole vibe was amazing. The food was 10/10. I ordered the bao bun, and my friend ordered the pancakes with salmon. Everything was exceptional. I wish we had more days to visit this cute café again. Definitely a must-visit when in Paris.

Absolutely incredible cafe! Like a little slice of Bali in Paris. Such amazing decor and aesthetics and the food was so healthy and nutritious. The drinks selection is crazy, they have the most interesting drinks and a whole section of the menu dedicated to matcha. The main sizes are huge, you could definitely get one and share it. The price was also so reasonable for Paris. Loved it! Will probably come back tomorrow.

Great service and amazing food. Generous portions and I think they’re worth every penny! We had quite a feast went at 10:20a.m Saturday morning there was a 10min wait for inside tables to clear but there is option to sit outside but is quite cold. Later longer lines were there We had chicken satay (recommended), french toast with berries, pistachio matcha and spice hot chocolate which were very tasty but not strong The table spacing is tight and if you’re lucky you’ll get a back table which has more space but overall it was def worth the wait and tight space. We enjoyed the food and the staff were extremely polite and very helpful. Clean toilet and space for tiny luggage in the corner while we ate

Because we arrived quite early on Sunday morning, we were able to get in without waiting. However, while we were having breakfast, there were about 30 people waiting outside the door. Since there wasn't much room inside, we were able to sit in the narrow corner area. We ordered coffee and two different breakfasts. Both were excellent. The roasted pistachio French toast was especially wonderful. The coffee was a little bland, but okay.

It’s the perfect place to enjoy a drink while diving into a good book or having a relaxed conversation with a friend. Truly a highlight in Paris!

Wonderful spot for a glass of wine or more. Food and other beverages are available from the cafe across the street. The bartender dashes back and forth with plates and glasses, yet still managed to keep an eye on her customers’ wineglasses. Just visited this restaurant after a busy day in Le Marais. I would not recommend it to anyone. The service was good but the food was awful. Our family orders the burger, the chicken burger and the pastrami club and they were all not good. The simplest food to prepare and they were still not able to pull it off. Wonder what would have happened had we been more adventurous and chosen some of the other menu options. I can only think that they stay in business because of the location, close to Notre Dame, and the patio. Definitely a tourist trap. Never going back.

We love this place and visit it all the time. The french onion soup is really good and so is the beef tartare. It is a great terrace for people watching and the vibes are always high.

Chez Fernand is a charming and cozy brasserie located on the Left Bank of Paris. It offers a traditional French menu in an authentic bistro setting. The restaurant is known for its fantastic Boeuf Bourguignon and other classic French dishes. Despite its small size, it provides excellent service and a warm atmosphere, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
A wonderful dining experience. We had a reservation but perhaps it wasn't required for lunch on a weekday. We were seated near the door to enjoy the beautiful weather. The service and staff were friendly and quick. The food was delicious and I would definitely return.

Great find! Steak with bone marrow and silky mash and the beef bourginon were wonderful. Had the green bean salad and herring starters that were delicious too. Service is great.

Chez Fernand has been a Saint-Germain stalwart since 1970, the archetype of a Paris bistro with storied beams, gingham tables, and a room packed to the rafters. Bread is cut fresh from whole loaves on the sideboard - rustic, satisfying, almost perfect (9/10). My tuna with seasonal vegetables showed what “simple” really means: excellent produce, perfectly handled, flavour deepened by a bright counterpoint of herbs and acidity, a dish of humbling excellence (9.5/10). Dessert, a soupe de fraises with ice cream, sang with summer freshness and balance - strawberries and cream retold in Paris (9.5/10).

Great traditional french food in a very rustic and bustling atmosphere. We walked in on a busy Friday night and were seated within about 5–10 minutes. The staff were warm and welcoming, though service was understandably slow given how packed the restaurant was. It took around 15 minutes just to get the menu board, likely because they were waiting to bring us the English version. We started with the escargots and foie gras terrine for appetizers and both were great. Super glad we decided to get the beef bourguignon. It was absolutely amazing. The beef cheek was very tender, literally fell apart and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Mussels in ginger creme sauce were also really good. While it sometimes took a bit of effort to catch a waiter’s attention which is a testament to how bustling the restaurant was, the service itself moved smoothly once we ordered, and every dish arrived promptly and beautifully prepared. The restaurant is cozy, though seating is very cramped, but honestly, that’s part of the French bistro experience.

A truly lovely experience to dine! Initially we wanted to eat somewhere else but it was full so we searched for another place to eat and found this restaurant in a very cute street. The staff spoke English and very welcoming. Especially the younger guy seemed to enjoy his job a lot. We had the ribeye steak and beef Bourguignon as mains and creme brulée as a dessert, which were exceptional! All dishes were fantastic. Especially the Beef Bourguignon was rich in flavor, filling and visually pleasing. I strongly recommend this restaurant :))

Absolutely love this restaurant! My husband and I visited in 2022 during our honeymoon. We recently just visited again and could not vacation without coming here again! The food is incredible, not to mention the service is outstanding. We ordered the bone marrow and escargot to start off with. So delicious! Then for our main course my husband had their beef bourguignon which in fact is legendary, I had their steak with pepper sauce and mashed potatoes! To finish off we ordered their creme brûlée and omg… chefs kiss!

Chez Fernand was recommended by a French local, so I followed the recommendation. It wasn’t so easy for me to find a restaurant serving traditional French food in France so I’m grateful this place was recommended. I would say now, that I’m not such a big fan of French cuisine, but I’m really grateful for the experience at Chez Fernand and their service was top notch.

Classic French restaurant serves traditional food, they have English menu as well. Food: we had quite some hard pieces in the poached eggs, maybe shell? Foie gras is the best order (although it looks very fatty), overall is ok but nothing impressive, tourist price Environment: crowded, closed to other tables, only one toilet, tiny and old. But good location. Service: nice, English speaking, long waiting time for bill

La Buvette is a popular and cozy wine bar in the 11th Arrondissement of Paris. Despite not having a full kitchen, it has gained fame for its chic and delicious small plates that pair perfectly with their boutique French wines. The menu includes items like anchovies, terrine, homemade pickles, butter beans in olive oil with lemon zest, pink pickled eggs with furikake, and olive oil-drowned burrata served with crusty bread.
Love this place, a natural wine institution. Had a beautiful Riesling by the Durrman family from the Alsace. The cheese on offer was outstanding, and more than anything the service is excellent. There's so much passion for high quality, terroir driven wines here without the gimmicky "trendy" element of natural wine. Just good people, good food and good wine. Will always return.

Very nice lady expert in wine, I described her I want a sweet wine and she picked up this wine which i fell in love with. The cheese was awesome too.

We recently visited La Buvette and, unfortunately, left feeling quite disappointed. As fans of Action Bronson, we were excited to check out this well-known Paris wine bar after seeing it featured on his show, where he spoke very highly of it. However, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. From the start, we felt unwelcome. The owner seemed disinterested in engaging with us or offering any guidance on the wine selection. As we prefer a more conversational approach over reading menus—especially in a specialty wine bar—we had hoped for a more interactive and welcoming experience. We tried to connect by mentioning the Action Bronson episode, thinking it might be a shared point of interest. Unfortunately, the owner dismissed it, saying the show’s feature was one of the worst things to happen to her bar, as it brought in more tourists and drove away her regulars. It was disheartening to hear, especially since we were simply excited to enjoy good wine in a place with such a great reputation. Regardless of people’s backgrounds, interests, or reasons for visiting, the feedback I’d offer is this: don’t discriminate against who comes to your bar or why they’ve chosen to visit. Instead, take pride in the fact that your wine bar is so well-known and appreciated.

Stopped here on a late Sunday afternoon (they opened at 5pm). As you'd expect they have a great selection of natural wines, and a small (but very tasty) selection of cheese, charcuterie, and nibbles. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. A great spot to sit down and enjoy a drink before or after an evening meal. Recommend!

We stopped in for a drink before dinner and were really happy that we did. The staff was very helpful and patient and offered to interpretate the menu to assist us with our small plate. Ohhh, I wish we weren't going to dinner as we would have eaten more small plates, we had the pickled egg, and it was delicious. The venue is small and cute, with a good vibe. The staff helped us select some great natural wine, and we had a taste and picked what wine we wanted to go with, and that was very handy and lovely. We will visit again when in the area next.

La Fontaine de Mars is a charming and colorful bistro in Paris that has been serving classic French dishes since 1908. It gained attention when the Obamas visited, seeking an authentic dining experience. The menu features traditional favorites like steamed leeks, homemade duck confit, and roasted duckling with caramel and endives, accompanied by delicious sides such as crispy green beans and gratin dauphinois.
Absolutely delicious. Each dish tasted so good, the service was good, and you can see a bit of the Eiffel Tower from the restaurant. Made a reservation. Would definitely recommend. I am glad I came across this place on my travels.

A classic French bistro near the Eiffel Tower that focuses on Southwest French cuisine. We didn’t have a reservation, but the staff kindly found us a table right away. He was very friendly and took the time to explain the entire menu to us in detail. We ordered the duck confit and the duck breast, both were excellent. The duck breast was honestly the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked medium rare, juicy and tender with a delicious roasted honey sauce and purée. It was like the wagyu of duck, I devoured the entire plate. The confit was also cooked to perfection. A little on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it. The space is also very charming and nostalgic. I’d come back every time I’m in Paris.

The cutest spot for our first meal in Paris! We went right from the hotel to our reservation and the staff was extremely welcoming. Our waiter offered his suggestions and we were very happy with the final selections! A wonderful experience for anyone who wants a quaint restaurant with delicious bites.

La Fontaine de Mars is everything you hope for in a classic Parisian bistro: warm, welcoming, and absolutely delicious. We came without a reservation and were graciously accommodated, which already set the tone for a convivial evening. The red and white checkered tablecloths and rich dark wood décor create a cozy, timeless ambiance that feels like stepping into a beloved neighborhood institution. Our waiter was exceptional; friendly, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful about everyone's dietary needs. The starters were divine: the Blancs de poireau tièdes & ravigote d'herbes was fresh and flavorful, and the Terrine de canard, foie gras, pistache & chutney was a standout. For mains, the fricassée de poulet à la basquaise was the plat du jour and a hit at the table, while the suprême de poulet aux morilles and Pavé de saumon were beautifully prepared and comforting like a home-cooked meal elevated to perfection. Dessert was the cherry on top: we shared the île flottante, baba au rhum, and a truly unforgettable Mont Blanc fait maison; hands down one of the best I've ever had. This place hits all the right notes. Add La Fontaine de Mars to your Paris dining list…you won’t regret it. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband got the duck canard and I got the chicken with mushrooms and rice. Duck was wonderful! Chicken was good but nothing amazing. We started with the seared fois gras which was rich and decadent. For dessert we enjoyed the floating fountain which was light, sweet and different from what we usually would get. Atmosphere is quintessential Paris! Waiter was friendly and everything was explained well.

Atmosphere and decoration are nice. I don't think the food warrants the high price though. The steak was nice but the chips tasted and looked like 30 minute old McDonald chips, not so nice, duck breast was nice but no veg on the side. Staff and service was friendly. Food came out very quickly.

It's a beautiful and impressive building. The glass dome is amazing and definitely worth seeing. There's also a terrace with a great free view of the city. It's worth a visit. The store feels like it's filled with items that couldn't be sold in the main gallery in recent years. It's like an outlet for various brands. Galeries Lafayette in Paris is part spectacle, part shopping, with a stained glass dome that makes you look up and lose track of time. It’s touristy but worth a visit. The rooftop terrace gives you a clear view over Paris rooftops and the Eiffel Tower if you’re patient with the crowds. Come early on a weekday for breathing room and photos without elbows in the frame. The store layout can feel like a maze, but that’s part of the charm, Even if you’re not buying, it’s worth a peek while you’re nearby.

Le Relais de l'Entrecôte is a renowned steakhouse with three locations in Paris. Their winning formula includes a fresh green salad with vinaigrette, tender steak with their secret sauce, and crispy fries for a fixed price. When you order, they only ask how you like your steak cooked and what wine you prefer. The restaurant offers over 12 dessert options including profiteroles, cheese plate, Baba au Rhum, apple tart, sorbets and ice cream.
If I could give it 10 stars I would! Dont be phased by the long line outside, it moves very quickly and everyone deserves to try this special steak frites experience! We waited for 20 minutes and got sat down pretty quickly (as only two of us) at about 10pm. The waitress was brilliant, super nice, and the food came very quickly. As steak lovers, we ordered rare, and loved it! Imagine beef tartare quality with seared sides, highly recommend! We leave tomorrow morning, otherwise would totally come back for round two! MUST TRY THIS! Our waitress Nabila was the kindest! Made us feel so welcome, helped us choose our wine, never put pressure on us, and just all smiles! 3.25 ⭐️ Set menu (€29), which keeps things simple: salad, steak, fries, and their signature sauce. Service was decent, and food came out efficiently. 🥩 The salad was heavily dressed, bordering on overpowering, but the fries were crisp and enjoyable. 🥩 Steak is offered only rare or medium—cooked well but quite lean, leaving it less indulgent than expected. The sauce, a peppery mustard blend, added flavor but wasn’t mind-blowing. Overall, worth trying but not a must-return.

We arrived 30 minutes before their dinner opening on a Sunday and were the 20th in line. Fortunately, we made it into the first round of guests to be seated. Ordering is simple: they ask for your preferred level of doneness, then take drink and dessert orders. Drinks and bread arrived quickly, followed by our entrees of steak and fries. The green pepper sauce was delicious with the steak, but it also tasted great for soaking the fries. After we finished our steak and fries, they brought over a second serving. I enjoyed ending the meal with the crème brûlée. Service was quick as we were in and out in about an hour.

A well-known local place for the steak fries. I arrived 30' before closing time for lunch, and waited 15' to get a table so I can imagine it could be much longer during peak hour. The food was great, you get to refill the steak and fries as well (yes that's real!). The steak was not mind-blowing though, I would say just generally good steak. My waitress was very nice and friendly. The vibe of the restaurant is kind of cozy and un-assuming, which I like. Overall I think it is great value and you should try if it is your first time in Paris.

We arrived at the restaurant at 6:05 PM, just five minutes after it opened, and there was already a long line. We waited for about 50 minutes before being seated. The service was very organized and efficient. The meat was very tender and the fries were delicious. However, the sauce was below my expectations. Overall, everything was tasty, but not extraordinary. It’s worth trying once, but I don’t think I would come back again.
Taner S — Google review
Way too touristy and crowded for me. I generally refuse to stand in line for a restaurant, but this was an enthusiastic recommendation from one of my best friends, so I decided to do it. And it was a very long line! Well worth the line as a tourist’s experience, but I wouldn’t keep coming back having so many other options in Paris. The steak was fine, just a bit chewy, not my favorite cut and no options to choose from. Their famous sauce is indeed delicious, though not so much to keep me coming back and enduring the line. The fries were fine, not awesome and again not my favorite choice with meat. The salad was very tasty and fresh. Serving the course in two rounds is a great idea. You get a generous serving and it’s always fresh on your plate. Given the huge number of people they serve, service was friendly and fast. I didn’t feel the pressure to free my table, though the thought of it lurked around. I decided to skip dessert, and the people on the table next to me (close enough to chat during the meal which turned out to be a good thing) joked that I wouldn’t miss much!

Couldn't ask for a more perfect Parisian experience. Actually loved the 20min wait at 13:00 on a Monday as Q kept moving by industrious staff. Brilliant atmosphere inside as all crammed in making a delicious cacophony of conversations. Quick service due to traditionally limited menu and hand written drink lists. Loved the salad starter and bread along with the very nice house red (a must for a Paris meal) and onto the pièce de résistance. Perfectly cooked blue steak with double fried frites (done in beef dripping if I'm not mistaken) with their secret butter based sauce. Puddings to die for (just shared the one) as stuffed after the double helping As I tried to say to our attentive staff - magnifique, merveilleux - which raised a 😊!! Recommended experience. 80euros/£70 for 2 - a true bargain.

Went here for the 3 course traditional French meal and I’m so glad we did. We first started with a salad , followed by our mains which was the traditional beef cooked to your choice and served with the secret sauce. This was followed by various dessert options. Chez Janou is a charming Provencal-style restaurant located just north of Place des Vosges in the Marais district of Paris. The restaurant offers a convivial setting with an inviting terrace adorned with budlights and blankets, creating a cozy atmosphere during the cooler months.
Great French bistro. Highly recommend, will definitely revisit. Quality French food, great atmosphere and worth the price, not over the top. Worth the ratings. Went with my wife for lunch, we had the- Daughnine ravioli for starters. Duck breast and entrecote bistro steak The creme brulee and French toast for dessert. Highly recommend this place, top quality, top bistro and always worth a visit when in Paris. 5🌟 Recommend booking in advance to prevent needing to wait and walk in. We booked months in advance.

One of my favorite places in Paris for sure!! I’ll gladly come back! This is such a comfort food type of meal! We had the ravioles au dauphiné as an appetizer, we ordered the canard as main course and of course, the chocolate mousse as dessert, and OHHH MYYYY!!! This is chocolate heaven! Not too sweet, the texture is just unbelievable.. just the perfect dessert! And they serve you at your table, she even asked if we wanted more! I wish we could eat more, but we were just so satisfied. Really amazing food!
Tati C — Google review
It is very rare that a restaurant becomes a memory, but Chez Janou did exactly that. This is the kind of bistro that makes you understand why the French guard their food culture so fiercely. I ordered the escargots, the ratatouille, a bottle of wine, and of course the legendary chocolate mousse that everyone talks about. The escargots were exactly how they should be: rich garlic butter, tender snails, nothing rubbery, nothing overdone. The ratatouille tasted like something a French grandmother would make at home, slow-cooked, layered flavour, fresh vegetables that haven’t been cooked to death. But the real star is the chocolate mousse. They do not serve you a “portion”. They bring an entire bowl, the size of a cooking pot, and simply scoop it onto your plate without ceremony. No pretension, no fancy plating, just unapologetically indulgent chocolate. Smooth, deep, not too sweet, and probably the best I have ever had. The bistro is loud, warm, slightly chaotic in the best way, with tables squeezed together and waiters flying around but still managing to joke and smile. It feels like eating inside a postcard of Paris in the 60s. An absolute must.
Neel B — Google review
Despite having a reservation which we booked 3 weeks in advance, we had to wait over 45 minutes to be seated. It is understandable if there is a delay but for there to be such a long delay even with a reservation and no apology nor a complimentary item seems like bad customer service to me. Besides the poor service, the food was actually quite delicious. The duck was a perfect medium rare, not too chewy, but lacked a bit of flavour on its own & the skin was on the edge of being burnt rather than charred. But the red wine jus was heavenly and complimented the duck well. The potatoes were also perfectly cooked and soaked up all the duck juices. The mussel entree was nice and garlicky, simple but good. For dessert, the famous mousse au chocolat was worthy of its’ praise. It was very light but also decadent, definitely should be shared between 2-3 people. The mousse was on the darker chocolate side which I enjoyed but I would argue that it would have been even better with a bit of flaky sea salt to really bring out the sweetness/add a bit of contrast. Also, I found it slightly grainy with either the granulated sugar not fully dissolving or bits of cocoa powder/chocolate not fully mixed in, which disturbed its smooth texture. Not a life changing chocolate mousse but definitely an enjoyable experience. Additionally, the restaurant was well-decorated, a bit small but had a lively atmosphere.

Best steak frites I had on my trip. Crispy flavorful outside, a delicious reduced wine sauce and buttery taters. Best olives on my trip, tasted fresh and not canned. Incredible chocolate mousse, dark chocolate flavor but creamy enough for only milk chocolate lovers, big portion. We sat at the bar because we didnt have a reservation. No wait for that. The fit is tight, alots of people and loud. They have a bathroom. Staff was friendly.
Porter C — Google review
It seems to be more of a tourist spot than a local bistrot, but that doesn’t mean the food is bad. I enjoyed the snails, found the ratatouille to be just okay, and really liked the fish. However, this place is especially known for its mousse au chocolat—and for good reason. It was definitely the star of the meal and makes Chez Janou worth a second visit. The restaurant is quite crowded and noisy, so expect the service to be a bit slow.

I recently had lunch at Daroco and, overall, it was an enjoyable meal. The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic and, when we visited, was very busy, which created a great atmosphere. To start, I shared the burrata with tomatoes, which was absolutely delicious. The flavours were phenomenal, and it was the highlight of the meal. For the main course, I opted for the Carbonara. Whilst it was enjoyable and well-flavoured, I did find the pasta was slightly too thick and al dente for my liking. Overall, the meal was enjoyable, but I did feel it was fairly expensive for the experience. The service was friendly, but as they were busy, it was slow at points. It was an enjoyable afternoon, and it feels like a good option for lunch or dinner if you’re in the area.

We had such a great experience at Daroco! The staff graciously sat us early for our reservation, and the service throughout dinner was excellent. We tried the carbonara, linguine pesto, and lasagna and they were all absolutely amazing. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of. After dinner, we headed to Danico, the bar tucked in the back of the restaurant. There was a short wait for a table for our group of five, but the staff kept us updated and made the experience pleasant. Beautifully crafted and delicious cocktails. Our server, Diogo was wonderful. He was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what he does. A must-visit spot in Paris for dinner and drinks! 🍝🍸

Our server Lilas was absolutely amazing. Super friendly and made our last night in Paris such a treat, especially since it was her birthday! The Parma Show pizza was delicious and the burrata was definitely well sized for 4 people atleast. The vibe was great if your looking for something dark dawn old definitely recommend the speakeasy in the back. Would love to come back here with friends!!

A really tall male staff is providing his customer service at his best. He is so caring that he asked if we wanna put our flower bouquet into the water bucket . He made sure that if everything was fine. Food is awesome. Tiramisu is one of the best in Paris . Yes!

Cute restaurant but food was no good. Some of my friends complaints was that it was way to salty and some needed salt. The food was basic and not worth the money even tho it’s not that expensive. I had the tuna tartare pasta and you can see in the picture that it had no tuna, almost just pasta. No flavour.

The space itself is beautiful—high ceilings, well decorated, and a lively vibe. The pasta was fresh and well-cooked, the pizza had a great crust. Service was friendly and efficient, even on a busy evening. Prices are fair for the setting and quality.

Fondue restaurant
Restaurant
Le Chalet Savoyard is a charming restaurant in Paris that offers a cozy wood-lined dining space where guests can enjoy traditional mountain dishes such as raclette, fondue, and tartiflette. The restaurant prides itself on using real local products to create fresh and bubbly tartiflette.
I've been coming here for over 10 years, once a year (if I can help it), usually around Christmas. It's one of my favourite restaurants. Both the Raclette and Fondue are to die for. I especially recommend the Abondance Raclette. The Raclette is basically all you can eat. You get half a wheel of cheese between two people, and we have never managed to finish it. The cheese wheel gets attached to a metal frame and a heater melts the cheese slowly into a plate, where you can bring it into your plate to eat with ham, pickles and potatoes. The fondue has a bit more kick thanks to the alcohol, but you get less of it and less things to eat with it (just bread). Very good but still better for people with slightly smaller appetites. If you're going in a group you could always have it and then steal some Raclette from the others too. A word of advice: Do not go here on a warm summer's day in the evening, as you will not be able to sleep most of the night from all the cheese 😆. Best to go here for lunch or early-ish dinner in the winter and go for a walk.
Armand — Google review
this was a dream come true! if you want raclette, this is the place to go. we received also a plate of assorted pork meat products included. the wine is also very good!
Danny — Google review
A lovely restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and quality food. However, the baguette served with the cheese fondue was unexpectedly hard, even after being soaked, which affected the overall experience. Additionally, the special cocktail did not quite meet expectations.

A lovely restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and quality food. However, the baguette served with the cheese fondue was unexpectedly hard, even after being soaked, which affected the overall experience. The fondue was very tasty, the wine was good, the sizes are quite big for 2 people so it’s totally worth it to try. I recommend it!
Cristina G — Google review
As a non French speaking American, this place was very welcoming, and was a pretty solid affordable fondue option, especially if you're used to elevated American fondue. If you're getting fondue or raclette it's at least 20 eur pp, but you'll probably end up around 25/30. We got the garlic herb and olive oil, which was a bit heavy due to the olive oil. Bread was very toasted, more like a crouton. They have an English menu. Service was very kind.

Great cheese experience. The place was nice, clean and comfy, the staff was nice and very helpful. I really enjoyed the food and ate more than I should. We ordered a fondue savoyarde for two and it was more than enough, we could not finish it. The only downside would be how you smell once you get out of there...

A great experience with delicious cheese. Very busy place, you should either book in advance or come in about 6pm for dinner. Raclette 26euros per person (includes lots of potatoes and meat board), friendly staff, and other meals looked very tasty including desserts. 4 stars because it took a long time to be served, we asked for water about 4 times, it came a long time after the main course arrived.

Incredible steaks! After a day of nothing but pastries we were excited to get some steak - the seasoning and cook was perfection, their mashed potatoes heavenly, and the drinks were great too. Service was great and so kind!

Visited here twice for dinner and on the first occasion had the beef tartare which was excellent. On the second occasion I had the entrecôte which was awful. Of the 350g, half was fat and gristle. My waiter was excellent and the vibe there is cool with more locals than tourists in attendance. Worthy of another try. Just don’t get the steak.

The whole experience from reception, service and good was more than simply satifiyng. The lunch we had over there was absolutely wonderful and I would advise everyone to go there. Finally, the price ofcourse depends also on the number of bottles of wine you may order, so that is up to yourselves. Just go and enjoy!!!

I had the crème brûlée and a macchiato — pure bliss in a stylish setting. The crème brûlée was slightly large in size but not too sweet, pairing perfectly with the coffee. Time seemed to slow down, making it a truly relaxing and luxurious experience.

We attended a business dinner with a valued customer. The restaurant boasts exquisite decor and exudes an inviting and lively atmosphere. The service was exceptionally professional and amiable. Regrettably, the food did not meet my expectations. While it was presented professionally and had an appealing appearance, the taste was lacking. The onion soup was bland and lacked the rich, caramelised flavour that is essential for this dish. The “French Duck Confit Parmentier, Full-bodied Jus, Small Fresh Herb Salad” was overcooked and somewhat dry, as if it had been reheated multiple times. On the positive side, my dessert, a “Fig Shortbread, Mascarpone Cream,” was excellent and met the standards I expect from a French restaurant.

Awesome place. Awesome food, kind staff, cozy atmosphere and great music! I had an onion soup(highly recommend) and beef tartare.o E of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. But don’t forget to make a reservation, the place is usually quite crowded.

Le Colimaçon is a charming French bistro located in the heart of Marais, Paris. The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance with raw-stone walls and wooden beams, creating a classic Parisian vibe. The menu features creative takes on traditional French dishes, including delicious steak tartare and roasted duck with pears. The intimate space, with its multi-level dining areas and winding staircase, exudes a secret Parisian charm that draws visitors in.
I took my girlfriend here for her birthday - it was the right choice. Great small restaurant, very friendly and kind staff, food and wine is exquisite. We got the steak tar tar, ribeye, escargot (snails), and the pork chop. The escargot was one of the best and most unique we had in France, put in these little homemade edible shells. Everything was just really good and enjoyable, I'd highly recommend it.
Dagr8n8 — Google review
Aside from the amazing snails, which we highly recommend, even for those who don’t usually like them, the rest of the dishes were just average, and the lobster salad is best avoided. We were a group of four and each ordered something different; everything else was fine but nothing special. Ambiance and service were good.
TN L — Google review
Everything about Le Colimaçon is just divine. It is cosy, welcoming, the food is spectacular. I’ve been twice now - the first time I got the rabbit, and the dauphinois potatoes that came with it were so good I almost cried. The goats cheese tart is a must. However, for a truly religious experience, get the escargots and the duck confit. It might truly be the best meal I’ve ever had, and I do not say that lightly.
Rebecca — Google review
My wife and I came here for dinner on the last day of our honeymoon. To say that the experience was divine might not be doing the meal enough justice. The staff was friendly and the service was impeccable. We ordered the oysters and stuffed pimento peppers to start. The oysters were great and came with a fantastic mignonette. The peppers were delicious as was the recommended wine pairing. The rabbit was incredibly tender and juicy - needless to say it was fantastic. However, nothing prepared me for the duck confit - I teared up a little when I had the first bite. No joke. In short - this was probably the best meal I've ever had to date.
John L — Google review
The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The food was absolutely 10/10 – the duck dish was outstanding, and both the starter and dessert were excellent. We’ll definitely come back here every time we visit Paris!
Phi T — Google review
My favorite restaurant in Paris. I've walked in once with great luck, and then I came the second time. The food is amazing, especially their duck confit. The duck confit is cooked just right, you can taste the aroma of the duck fat and the spices altogether smoothly. The lapin (rabbit) is not as surprising, it lacks flavour and feels like plain minced meet The idea to combine the ham with the lapin to provide flavour is interesting, but I personally think the ham they choose is not harmonic with the flavour of the lapin and tastes disjoint. I recommended highly of this place to every friend of mine who is going to visit Paris, and till now all 3 people who has visited said this place is amazing.
Boshi A — Google review
Casual style dining, with a not so bad menu, but quiet expensive having in mind the atmosphere and the quality. We had to send back undercooked meat. Nice they serve caviar, but could be better presented. Cocktails not recommended. Good wine. Nice location. 50 euros per person if you don't show up.

A super cozy French restaurant with really friendly and attentive staff. We called the pain perdu au foie gras poêlé - absolutely phenomenal, just heavenly. Definitely my favorite, along with the tartare. The duck confit and the crème brûlée was ok ^^ Highly recommend booking a table in advance, as the place gets quite busy in the evening.

A tip from my Airbnb host led me here, and what a gem! Drinks and meal were excellent. I sat at the bar, and the service was very warm and attentive (which, in Paris, isn’t always a given ☺️). It was the perfect way to toast my last night in the city.

I really wanted to like this restaurant since it was recommended to me by a dear friend but the service was just bad. We had to ask for the menu several times until we went to get it ourselves, same with bread and salt. It felt that we are asking for too much. The food was ok, but no more than that. The atmosphere, is not friendly, nor romantic. We were here for my husband’s birthday, and he didn’t even want to stay for desert (and he loves sweets).

Came here on a Monday night with a 7:30 evening reservation. We accidentally arrived early at 7:15 but were seated instantly. Host and wait staff were very kind and welcoming. The interior is gorgeous. We ordered cocktails, Midnight in Paris & the Green Sky (both delicious!). For starters, we ordered the duck fois gras & the salmon tacos. Best fois gras I have ever had! 100% recommend even if you’ve never tried before. For mains, we ordered the lobster rolls & the ravioli. Both were exquisite. You receive 2 medium sized lobster rolls with fries which were so fresh and flavorful. The ravioli looked like it would be heavy but was delicious & just light enough. Couldn’t fit in dessert but I’m sure anything there is great. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Was the first restaurant we went to in Paris. The server was really nice and he constantly checked in. We didn’t book so we sat at the bar. The food was also pretty good. We had foie gras to start. It seemed frozen so a bit hard but it came with confiture so it was still tasty. For mains we had a chicken dish and a lobster ravioli. They were both pretty unique and good and the mashed potatoes that came with it was especially good. The dessert French toast was the best and the millefeuille was also okay. Would go back!

Interior great, food fair service the worst I have experienced in Paris. Food was ok but not great and I have been to some amazing restaurants in Paris. They brought starter main and salad all at the same time (what?? ) they brought bread after we finished the meal (what???) and took 15 to 20 min to clear the table and it was that busy. Lots of attitude by the staff too. So many better restaurants in Paris. No wonder it was all Americans and not a French person in the house.

One of my all-time favorite restaurants, this place captivates with its stunning decor and delicious menu options. I usually indulge in either their juicy burger or the flavorful chicken with morels, paired with crispy fries. I also always order the perfectly cooked old-style white rice, which is infused with a delightful buttery ginger flavor — simply love it!
A S — Google review
Loved my lunch at Café Lapérouse! After 6 days in Paris, I was tired of heavy/rich meals and the classic items on every menu. Hugo recommended the sea bass (dos de bar) Dugléré and I was admittedly skeptical about a sauced fish on a hot summer day but it was surprisingly light, flavorful, and delicious. But who doesn’t love a white wine + butter sauce?! Dugléré > beurre blanc any day. The tomatoes really brighten up the sauce. They also serve their bread warm with bordier butter (creamy, smooth, and a light dusting of salt) so I used that as a vehicle for the fish sauce. Great French wines on the list. Service and attentiveness was unparalleled, for dining guests and walk-ins alike. Having been to other fine dining restaurants near a monument or with a view of the Eiffel, I was expecting customary French attitude but the staff was so kind, attentive, and never pushy. Beverages and food came out quickly and I was never waiting around. Yves took many flattering photos of me as well. Ambiance was great and relaxing, despite being adjacent to a busy street (Place de la Concorde). Other dining patrons were a mix of French locals having a business lunch and a few tourists. I’d suggest combining a meal here with sightseeing in the 8th arr (Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Champs-Élysées, the Grand Palais, Petit Palais, the Élysée Palace, Parc Monceau, the Seine) or haute couture shopping (Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Yves St. Laurent, etc.). Recommend making a reservation as they only have a few tables on their outdoor terrace. There are mixed reviews online but I loved my experience and will definitely be coming back on my next trip! Note: if taking an uber/taxi, there are limited drop zones in front of the restaurant (there are a ton of tour buses, traffic, and monuments that people are trying to see/photograph), so expect to be dropped by the place du Concorde and walking a little.

Frenchie is a popular rustic-chic bistro in Paris, known for its seasonal French dishes with global influences and chef's carte blanche menus. Chef Gregory Marchand, originally from Nantes, brings his experience from working at renowned establishments like Jamie Oliver's Fifteen in London and Danny Meyer's Gramercy Tavern in New York to create a unique dining experience. The small exposed-brick space exudes an Anglo-American atmosphere with its factory lamps and market-driven menus.
Absolutely incredible experience at Frenchie! This was our first time at a Michelin rated restaurant and we were intimidated, but the staff and atmosphere made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The food was so delicious it literally brought tears to our eyes. Absolutely recommend Frenchie to anyone looking for an elevated dining experience in Paris.

Just a decent food experience, not worth experiencing when it comes to one star Michelin dining in my opinion. The service was friendly, a bit hurried at times. The dishes were not outstanding, the entrees were fine. The main fish dish wasn’t balanced and too acidic and the meat did not meet my expectations. The desert was good. Overall I would not come back here, price/value/finesse/taste/ambience is not satisfying

Frenchie – where precision meets warmth on Rue du Nil Dining at Frenchie is an experience that feels both intimate and meticulously orchestrated. Sitting at the bar, just a few feet from the open kitchen, allows you to witness every detail — the quiet focus of the chefs, the delicate plating, the rhythm of a team that works like a living organism. It’s not just dinner; it’s a dialogue between craftsmanship and emotion. Chef Greg Marchand’s cuisine celebrates the terroir of France with cosmopolitan flair — a balance between memory and innovation. Each plate is constructed with purpose: layers of flavor that reveal the integrity of ingredients and the precision of technique. The dishes arrive like small compositions — elegant yet alive. What makes the experience special is the human side. The team is gracious, attentive, and flexible — they kindly offered to replace my dessert when I mentioned I don’t eat chocolate. The alternative, a fruit-based creation with subtle floral notes, was extraordinary and proved the kitchen’s creativity and generosity. Every detail, from the ceramics by Marion Graux to the Ten Belles bread and bean-to-bar chocolate by PLAQ, reflects Frenchie’s dedication to sustainability and artisanship. It’s rare to find a restaurant that so seamlessly merges refinement with authenticity. Frenchie is one of those rare Parisian places where fine dining feels human, not performative — genuine artistry served with warmth.

From the first course to the final bite, the tasting menu was a triumph of flavor and technique. The standout of the night was, without question, the squab—perfectly cooked, tender, and rich, with a depth of flavor that lingered long after the last bite. It was a dish that showcased both restraint and mastery, and sitting just feet from the team as they plated it with quiet focus made the experience even more special.

Chic Gem in The 2nd that made us feel like Locals. We had the 6:30 seating and immediately were greeted pleasantly and seated at a lovely window table. Perfectly timed service and exquisite courses all presented on artisanal pottery. The bread is sublime and they offered us a second helping which we gladly enjoyed! Each bite was fresh & new with a complexity of flavors. A wonderful experience all around worthy of the Michelin star. We will be back!

The value for money just isn’t here. Compared to Virtus down the street for a similar price, the food quality, service, and ambiance are night and day. On food, the starters were…confusing. The tuna cucumber hid any taste of tuna under such a thick pepper flavour that it was hard to distinguish anything else. The fish and pork mains had a nice flavour, but then added elements that seemed random and unbalanced the dishes in ways I would not expect at a one-star restaurant. The dessert was creative - a black garlic ice cream was fascinating - but again the balance was kind of lost with about a dozen elements across three small plates. Service was fine, but felt young and not quite informed. When I was asked what I thought of the cucumber and tuna dish and I engaged the server in conversation, it was as if he hadn’t ever had the dish, and didn’t know how to respond to anything but “it was great!” And I mentioned my partner’s birthday in the booking, yet it was never mentioned. On its own, I would offer 3 stars because it’s interesting, even if things didn’t quite work. But for the price - and compared to Virtus for similar price and a fellow one-star (where last year they printed a custom happy birthday menu for my partner) - this fell very flat and really underwhelmed us.

Average food quality, space far too small to handle a buffet. When the service starts, everyone has to endure a rather pointless explanation of the buffet while standing cramped together for 5 to 10 minutes. If you're unlucky enough (as we were) to be seated in the basement, the experience becomes truly uncomfortable: there are no forks, knives, or bread, and you have to go upstairs for anything—crowded stairs with low headroom. We spent 32 euros in total, which we could have used much better elsewhere. Not recommended.

A great spot to visit if you find yourself in Montmartre! Less busy than La Maison Rose, but a great cute spot. We went for lunch after visiting Sacré Coeur, and it was a great place to sit outside and people watch. We had the moules frites, escargot, and a glass of wine each.

Great and tasty food, very cozy atmosphere and perfect location. Montmartre has a unique, artistic mood and Le Consulat is a perfect place to stop and take a rest, while walking around narrow streets.
Sebastian K — Google review
After wandering through Montmartre looking at menus we finally chose Le Consulat. It was quite early for dinner but we received excellent service. Our meals, Moules Mariniere & Pave Boeuf, were flavoursome and the accompanying fries, delicious. To finish we shared a Creme Brulee which was heavenly and ample for us both.

Septime offers a refined dining experience in a minimalist and Nordic-inspired space located in the 11th arrondissement. Chef Bertrand Grebaut, known for his work at renowned restaurants, presents creative dishes using familiar seasonal ingredients. The menu changes every two weeks and features plant- and vegetable-focused cuisine with a focus on experimenting with textures and flavors. The restaurant provides a comfortable atmosphere while serving ambitious dishes that highlight the natural flavors of each ingredient.
I had the chance to enjoy lunch at Septime in Paris, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The menu was creative, beautifully presented, and full of fresh, seasonal flavors. What impressed me most was how approachable the restaurant feels despite its Michelin-starred status — the atmosphere is relaxed, modern, and welcoming rather than overly formal. For the quality they deliver, the lunch menu is also surprisingly affordable, making it a great way to experience fine dining in Paris without an intimidating price tag. Securing a reservation can be quite challenging, but once you’re inside, you immediately understand why it’s so sought after. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, happy to explain the dishes without rushing, and the pacing of the meal was smooth. I particularly appreciated the balance between elegance and comfort — you can fully enjoy the artistry of the food while still feeling at ease. I definitely look forward to coming back to try their dinner menu, which I’ve heard is an even more elaborate showcase of their culinary creativity. Septime is a wonderful spot for anyone looking for a Michelin-starred dining experience in Paris that feels refined yet accessible. Absolutely worth the effort of getting a table!
Leoniel D — Google review
Had dinner at Septime in Paris, a one Michelin star restaurant that also ranked No.40 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list. The cuisine is modern French, beautifully plated with a strong sense of seasonality. Portions are on the smaller side, but the menu is well structured. Three seasonal dishes left the strongest impression: a chilled watermelon and cheese soup, lobster with crispy pig’s ear and ravioli in lobster and wine sauce, and cucumber sorbet with cherries and pepper. Refreshing and light, perfectly in tune with the summer menu. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, with attentive service throughout. A very popular restaurant, so reservations well in advance are a must.
Kiu L — Google review
The taste itself is amazing. However, I have to mention that the portion was very tiny compared to other restaurants with similar reputation. And we really didn’t like the dessert. The sorbet was very sweet without a nice fruity flavor. And the combination with chili was not a good match.
Meiye W — Google review
We had heard great things about Septime and were excited to go there during our stop in Paris. Overall, we had a good experience — the food was tasty and well-prepared. However, the service lacked authenticity and charm. The atmosphere felt more like an industry than a genuine dining experience. Quite disappointing.
Isa B — Google review
Incredible meal - delicious, special, flavorful. Every dish was great. The highlight was probably the dessert - a citrusy ice cream with mandarin and grapes. Also loved the grilled chicken, and the chanterelle dish. The best part overall was how well the wine-pairing complemented the dishes - highly recommend getting the pairing!
Malte H — Google review
Like other reviews have mentioned, our main issue is that portions were extremely tiny, there was not enough food, and we left hungry. This is unacceptable for the price and the effort needed to get a reservation here. All dishes were tasty and well executed but the main course was two bites of red mullet - barely anything. Many other Michelin restaurants in Paris serve equally delicious food and bigger portions for less or similar prices. Two courses at the end for dessert, why? Most of the tasting menu were vegetables.
Michelle W — Google review
The service was impressive. Waiters were very welcoming, warm, explained very well and carefully, 6/5 for me. The best I have ever experienced at fine dining despite the fact that they didn't refill the bread often. The cuisine was modern with some french traditional touches, basing a lot on freshness and seasonal products. There were a few good dishes but stop at "delicious level", no dish has really impressed me. No story was really told, just like a series of tapas dishes. It could be acceptable because the concept was a neobistrot, however the price 135e/diner and small quantity per dish didn't totally justify it. I put the 5 in overall instead of 4 because the service was really really excellent, the best.

Located in the popular 6th arrondissement of Paris, Chez Fernand Christine is a traditional French restaurant offering carefully crafted meals made from seasonal ingredients. The rustic spot provides an old-school ambiance and features outdoor tables for al fresco dining. Known for its beef bourguignon and escargots with parsley and garlic butter, this restaurant offers an extensive wine list to complement the delicious dishes.
Our recent lunch at this charming traditional French restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in a posh area adjacent to a high-end hotel, the restaurant exudes an old-school charm with its rough stone walls and classic red and white tablecloths, yet manages to feel surprisingly bright and inviting. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality, particularly from our waiter, Julien. His attentiveness and friendliness were exceptional, making our dining experience all the more delightful. The menu was a celebration of French culinary tradition, and every dish we ordered surpassed our expectations: - **French Soup**: Rich and comforting, the perfect start to our meal. - **Bone Marrow**: Decadent and full of flavor, a true indulgence. - **Escargot**: Cooked to perfection with a delightful garlic butter sauce. - **Traditional French Beef Stew**: Hearty and deeply satisfying, with tender beef and a velvety sauce. - **Duck Leg**: Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill and the restaurant's commitment to quality. The ambiance, service, and food combined to create an unforgettable dining experience that we will cherish and recommend to anyone seeking authentic French cuisine in a delightful setting. We can't wait to return and indulge in this culinary gem once again. Merci beaucoup!

Chez Fernand Christine is a true hidden gem in Paris! Over our five-week stay, we dined here three times, and each visit was a delight. The French cuisine is nothing short of perfection—every dish is impeccably prepared and beautifully presented, from the first bite to the last. The wine and drink selection is equally outstanding, complementing the meal flawlessly. What truly sets this intimate restaurant apart is the exceptional service led by the charismatic manager, Sam, and his warm, attentive staff. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like a cherished regular, enveloped in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The team’s impeccable service strikes the perfect balance—professional yet playful, making every meal fun and memorable. This cozy local spot offers a culinary experience that lingers long after you leave, leaving you eager to return for just one more bite. For fabulous French cuisine and a spoiled-yet-fun dining experience, Chez Fernand Christine is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back!
Julie T — Google review
Chez Fernand Christine serves hearty, well-balanced French classics. The French onion soup hits the right mix of onion and cheese, the bone marrow is rich and deeply flavoured, and the escargot marinade is excellent. Their signature beef stew is intensely flavourful and perfect for soaking bread. Portions can be inconsistent—our server noticed only one chunk of meat in our serving and promptly topped it up so it felt complete. For two people, three starters plus one main was plenty. Reservations are advisable. The dining room is very small, with tables close enough to touch elbows, so it’s cosy rather than romantic—probably not ideal for a first date.

We had dinner here on our second evening in Paris. We shared the warm Camembert with honey and walnuts to start which was delicious, we both had the house special Beef Bourgogne also delicious. The food, drinks, wine and entire staff were just a delight. We highly recommend having dinner here and be sure to make a reservation, we did in early August for late September. Bon Appetit Joel

Like the others say, it’s a hidden gem in Paris. Have dinner with family, tried the snails, beef cheek, pork chop and sea bass. All are delicious especially the pork chop, very tender and juicy. Have apple tart and crème brûlée for desserts. Love them both. In short, really enjoy the food, the atmosphere is good ,staff are friendly and helpful. Sure will come back during next visit to Paris.

This one of those places you don’t want to tell anyone about to ensure it stays the same, BUT surprsingly enough, this traditional brasserie in the heart of St. Germain managed to keep its local clientèle happy while adapting to tourist that just order a starter with coke light. Sébastien thoroughly impressed me, not flinching once when asked to make the French Onion soup gluten-free or bring ketchup for a side order of fries. Wow! A très bientôt, because they also seated me away from most of the touristes ignorantes…

Allard is a historic bistro in Paris, dating back to 1912 and known for its traditional French dishes and warm atmosphere. Under the guardianship of acclaimed chef Alain Ducasse, this Parisian bistro has been a sought-after gourmet address for over 80 years.
I think this is probably the best service I’ve had in Paris by far, excellent team. The restaurant is cozy and beautiful. The food was amazing, the foie gras with cherries and their famous duck are something you cannot miss. I would highly recommend this for anyone and come hungry. Even better with a group of 3-4 to try more things since the duck is quite large. Overall 10/10

A classic French restaurant in the heart of Paris, with a very interesting space that has maintained its authenticity over time. Nice food — simple and unpretentious — good service, and great wine. A pleasant experience; I recommend it.
Παναγιωτης Τ — Google review
The Alain Ducasse owned Allard, is one of those timeless Left Bank institutions that seem to have captured the essence of old Paris without trying. I started with escargots, rich with garlicky parsley butter, followed by ris de veau, tender and golden. Each bite was deep and comforting, the flavours familiar yet indulgent. The wine, le Merle Blanc de Château Clarke 2023 was bright and elegant, a beautiful pairing that carried the meal effortlessly. I finished with a plate of cheese: a blue, a goat, and a washed rind, each with its own quiet personality. It’s the quality of service that makes the difference between a good and great restaurant and the service at Allard was brilliant. Well done to the team at Allard for making my last Parisian dinner of this trip so memorable.

One of the best French restaurants in Paris! Been here 5 or 6 times and it was the best every time! I spent 3 birthdays there. They always make my day by taking an extra step and putting up with my attempts on French.

A cult place for 100%. Why 4 stars when everything is 5? A place for people on a budget. Because honestly, this place is only for those who can afford it, and I don't mean that they appreciate it. Service outstanding and advanced. The food is simply amazing, I didn't even take a single photo, in my opinion, it would just be disrespectful to those who prepared these incredible dishes. Do I recommend, yes, for pleasure and enjoyment (and be ready to pay for it) Reservation, recommended.

An unforgettable dining experience at Allard a truly classic and historic Parisian restaurant. We loved the Homard bleu rafraîchi, the Escargots en coquilles, the Filet de bœuf doré, sauce aux poivres, and the Turbot façon Dugléré. Every dish was full of distinctive flavors, and the service was simply excellent. A timeless Parisian gem that I highly recommend
Lubna A — Google review
On our various trips to Paris we’ve made it a point to come to Allard almost every single trip. On each visit we leave satisfied and happy with the experience. We feel that the food here is some of the most authentic and classic bistro food that you can find, plus it is cooked almost perfectly. However, our only gripe/complaint is that every time we come the prices seem to be getting more expensive. Hence the 4 star rating. All in all, if you’re looking for some classic authentic bistro food with classic dishes that seem to be disappearing like frog legs and pan seared foie gras, Allard is definitely the place to visit. The funny thing is, while I complain about the price, I have a feeling I’ll still be coming back for another classic French bistro meal the next time I find myself in Paris!
Gluttonous G — Google review
Some dishes were very special - the foie gras will always have a place in my heart. The rum cake and the profiteroles were top notch. I liked the old school ambience and the parisian ambient music, the smoke extractors were strangely out of place through the ceiling and cut some of the vibe. Some of the furniture had dust on it. It's kind of special, but not the place I would come running back unless I had deep, deep pockets. Quite baffling that they didn't accept payment cards. Not that many people carry four figures in cash in their wallet. Be advised regarding this aspect.

French restaurant
Au Petit Fer à Cheval is a popular bistro in Paris that has gained influence from American and Brooklyn styles. The space may be a bit tight, but it offers great French dishes. The organic cheese and wine are perfect for starters, while the steak tartare and confit duck leg make for satisfying mains. Late lunchgoers can enjoy the duck confit, pate, beef bourguignon, and creme brulee.
The little horseshoe served food prepared with great care. We ate here twice and everything was very tasty. It's a cafe, so some of the steaks aren't the best cut. But everything is marinaded or seasoned to taste great. Don't miss the watercress soup. I had it twice... it's great. The service is first rate.

Veery cute location and restaurant! Food was decent (however I think the lunch prices are more worth the food quality than dinner). Unfortunately service was lacking significantly. The waiter didn't take orders for 2/4 people at our table (and only realized after he had served the others) and gave an alcoholic drink to my friend who doesn't drink alcohol (this is just a major oversight, my friend speaks french fluently in order in french).
Claire W — Google review
This classic French bistro is an absolute delight! The owner welcomed us like old friends and with open arms; he ensured we got a good table outside - even on a warm Friday evening we didn’t reserve and we didn’t wait. Both service and food were amazing. Classic French bistro food and a great wine selection. This place has history from the late 19th century, and a nice mix of locals and tourists enjoy it: can’t recommend it highly enough.

One of my “every time I’m in Paris” places. A small and charming bistro in Le Marais, full of Parisian character. Each month they feature a wine of the month — always worth trying for a pleasant surprise. Perfect for a quick bite of French classics or some frites with a glass of wine at the counter.

After hiking Eifel Tower, had this lunch spot bookmarked. No reservations but hostess said we can have a table but to eat within one hour which we graciously accepted. They were out of frog legs but had the cheese soufflé & grand marnier soufflé. Both were just ok.. It was almost $20 Eu each was pricey but the service was nice & ambience was cozy. I would skip and go to the other many great pre fix lunch spots in Montmarte or Le Marais.

I can confidently say that this restaurant is by far the best dining experience I've had in Paris. From the moment we stepped in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. He was not only friendly but also fun, kind, and extremely polite. Now, onto the food. The tartare steak was simply outstanding - fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite was a delight. The dessert was a sweet conclusion to the meal, and the wine selection complemented our dishes perfectly. Overall, I loved everything about this restaurant, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Paris.

Excellent, imaginative food with choice of 2 or 3 courses. The chicken was incredible as was the pan-fried fish. It is deservedly busy with tourists and locals. Friendly, helpful staff who are knowledgeable and passionate about the food and the wine. The waiter explained how each dish was prepared and when I was unsure which wine to order, he kept bringing me a small amount of each to try. They even made beautiful pasta (off the menu) for our 8 year old. A mark of great service all round!
Lionel T — Google review
Semilla is one of those rare Paris gems where tradition gracefully meets innovation. Nestled on Rue de Seine in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, this lively spot isn’t your typical French restaurant — it’s where French technique flirts with global flavors, creating a style that feels refreshingly modern and effortlessly cosmopolitan. The menu at Semilla changes often, reflecting the seasons and the chefs’ curiosity. Each dish feels alive — vibrant ingredients, playful textures, and flavor pairings that surprise without overwhelming. You’ll find touches of Latin warmth, Asian brightness, and Mediterranean depth woven into a base of confident French craftsmanship. The open kitchen adds to the energy — you can feel the creative buzz as dishes are plated with quiet precision. From perfectly cooked meats to imaginative vegetable creations and subtly spiced sauces, every plate speaks of balance and intention. The service is warm but unfussy, matching the restaurant’s easy elegance. Semilla is less about rigid French formality and more about fusion in spirit — a culinary conversation between cultures, guided by finesse and flavor. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why dining in Paris can still surprise and inspire.
Rodney L — Google review
A high end but still non/pretentious culinary experience. Clean flavors, quality ingredients, a well curated tasting menu and a great wine pairing to go with it. The dishes were balanced, tasty and showed great variety and creativity. The staff is friendly and accommodating, willing to adapt and great at handling constructive criticism. Prices are fair, drinks are good, the wine list is extensive and the sommelier is very knowledgeable and can certainly help find the right wine for you and your dish. For a more rustic experience with the same quality of ingredients and a more homey atmosphere, try Freddy's right next door. The flavors of a charcoal grill and the variety of tapas like dishes is hard to beat, albeit it's a different kind of experience altogether!
Murat K — Google review
Had a delicious meal here during our recent trip to Paris. Having visited Freddy's on numerous occasions, we thought we'd give their partner restaurant a go. It did not disappoint; the octopus and veal were extremely tender, but the star of the show was the lamb shoulder. Make sure you come hungry, as the portion was huge! Absolutely delicious.

Favorite meal we had in Paris; I have never been to a restaurant so refined yet welcoming. We went in for a late lunch and had the salt-baked sea bass to share (which came filleted with a lemon-y beurre blanc, a green salad, plus a head of roasted cauliflower) and then dessert. All the food, including the dessert, was perfect down to its details. The overall experience was very pleasant too; the service was attentive and the interior modern but warm, and it was impressive to watch the well-run open kitchen. Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

So far during my one and a half week stay in Paris, I’ve found that the service has been quite friendly, defying the negative stereotypes often associated with Parisian restaurants and cafes. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for me today at Ten Belles Bread. So far I’ve only tried their espresso, and it was pretty good, but I have to say that the young lady behind the cash had a real hard time cracking a smile. Nevertheless, I will give the place a second chance and return to try their sandwiches, which looked great.
Jeremiah H — Google review
Grand café crème was very good. It’s 5 euros for a big cup of coffee and there’s two shots of espresso. It satisfied me cause I get annoyed when the coffee is too small and too milky. Coffee milk ratio was good, latte art also on point. There’s a large seating area both inside and outside. I think it’s a good place especially when you realize that most of the time the specialty cafes in paris have a really small seating area.

My review is only about the new model. They now offer table service with a much more expensive menu. It’s totally ruined the place. I used to love to come here and get a light bite to eat when in a rush or to casually order a sandwich then scone and tea. The new menu is expensive and makes one order a lot of food. The menu isn’t the same as the counter. There is now nowhere to order food from the counter and sit down. I used to come here 2-3 times a week when in Paris. Now I’ll be going elsewhere. I want to note that the people who work there are nice. This isn’t about them. It’s about the model. For brunch, I’d go to Cafe Mericourt. For better blend of coffee and lunch, I’d go Back in Black. For great coffee, I’d go to Beans on Fire or Saint Barista. For an easy snack and coffee, I’d go to Cafe Napoli.

Excellent bread! We came here while staying in an Airbnb down the road. We wanted to find some fresh bread and came across Ten Belles. This has been one of the best sourdough loaves I have ever had. Stayed in Paris for a short duration, found this eating place and ate there on two occasions. Great food and service, pitchers of wine great value, staff and ambience make this place most inviting. Fantastic spot for dinner. We made reservation which was a good idea, it got packed pretty quickly after we arrived. Low key and high quality food, good wines and classic dishes but not old-fashioned. Service was good and in a way that fit the general vibe (not presumptuous or fancy, just nice). One detail, we had a baby along for the ride, and while there is plenty of room in the restaurant, changing diapers is almost impossible. They were very gracious to let me do it on the floor in the small hallway near the toilet. Which is fine, but as most spots in Paris, it was kind of a missing element for me. No judging, just a remark for visitors.

Loved the unpretentious vibe of this bistro and the staff was super friendly! Taste-wise I wasn’t wow’d as much as I would have wanted but all the dishes were solid. Squid served in the ink with potatoes being my favorite, closely followed by a mussel appetizer. I would skip grilled endive and the tongue next time, which was served with the sauce that didn’t quite work with it.

As name says the cafe is next to Gare de l'Est and just a few minutes walk from Gare du Nord. It offers indoor and outdoor seating. Inside it's small but nice. The staff speaks English and are good.
