Bakery
Boulangerie Guyot, located at 28 Rue Monge, 75005 Paris, France, has gained recognition for its exceptional bread and pastries. In 2022, it was awarded the 7th best traditional baguette in Paris, and by 2023 it had moved up to the 2nd spot.
If you’re in the area, this is a MUST stop. My fiancé and I ate here 3 times in the span of 4 days! Their bread is the absolute best, their sandwiches are incredible, the pastries are wonderful and the service is lovely! Highly recommend.
Melanie M — Google review
Walked past for an impromptu dessert after dinner nearby! There was a line outside at 19 30! It moved fast! To my question of "éclair or tart", the nice lady behind the counter replied both! 😅🤣 The interior/exterior, with the mix of dark blue 💙 wood/tiles and white 🤍, is nice and bright! Edit: the éclair au chocolat I had was magnificent! 😋 Light, fluffy outside. Creamy but not heavy filling. Most importantly to me, not too sweet at all.
Demba B — Google review
One of my favourite bakeries in Paris. Suitable for takeaways. Queued around 5 minutes since there wasn’t a long line.
Yingying — Google review
One of the best bakeries in Paris that I have visited. Their “meringue aux pralines roses” is heavenly, their lemon tart is heavenly. Their baguette tradition is, you guessed it, heavenly. I will definitely keep coming back.
David P — Google review
We ordered an almond croissant and beignet. Both were pretty good! No seating inside so must take away.
Diane M — Google review
This is the BEST croissant I have ever had in my life. Almost has a sweet taste to it. It is crispy but not too much, very fresh. The buttery taste is so delicious. Highly highly recommended. Baguette tradition was also perfect. I would come to Paris just for this croissant.
Foodieeda — Google review
I got a Pain Au Chocolat here, plus a pastry with Apricots and Pistachio in it (sorry, I forgot the name). Of the two, I was a bigger fan of the Pain au Chocolat. It was somewhat crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and tasted fairly buttery. Maybe not quite as crispy as other places I've really liked, though, but still very good. The other pastry I had was maybe more sour than I had liked, but I think that's more on my own preferences (and not knowing much on apricots, to be honest), than it is on the pastry itself. So overall, I am pretty happy with what I got, and would definitely recommend a visit. The place is rather small, so it can be a bit crowded to be in, but they still have a decent list of items to pick from. I would definitely like to revisit, myself, to try their other things.
Alvin T — Google review
Fantastic baguette! So simple yet so good. We got baguette traditionnelle, a caprese sandwich, and a croissant plain. All were delicious and solid! The croissant was not too sweet and nicely flaky and moist.

Bakery
Located in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, Au levain des Pyrénées is a bustling bakery led by Boulanger Tharshan Selvarajah. The bakery's baguette was crowned the Best Baguette of Paris in a recent competition, earning them the prestigious opportunity to supply the Elysée palace and City Hall. This achievement has drawn crowds eager to taste their award-winning baguettes and other delectable offerings.
Baguettes grand prux im 2023, and 4th in 2024, I gotta try it. Very good baguettes. Crunchiness that doesn’t hurt your mouth. Not to chewy and very good flavor that doesn’t taste blandness. Pastries are pretty good too.
Tin N — Google review
The lady working was really nice. We selected a few options and enjoyed them all as a nice breakfast option, and for less than 5 euros.
C R — Google review
The baguette was excellent and the croissant was good .
Fiona T — Google review
Made a long trek there just to try their baguette and I have to say, it was worth it! I'm not a bread fanatic but when in Paris... we just had to try the best and compare them. Had the opportunity to try it side by side with the baguettes from some top-ranked bakeries which won over the past couple of years during my visit, and this baguette really is good. Even eating it the next day was a treat. There was no queue at all when I reached in the afternoon and I think it is because they are not situated in the touristy city centre where many other top bakeries are. Furthermore, their baguette was so cheap! 1.30euro
Yen-Lyng L — Google review
According to NYT (9/30/2023) this is the baguette that is served at Élysée Palace to Emanuel Macron. It’s worth finding this place.
Siamack S — Google review
Delicious baguettes!! We tried a few smaller baguettes and a larger one with crumbed chicken & cheese. Would recommend the small ones with pate terrine & pickles or pepperoni, so simple and tasty! Flan also worth trying, smooth in texture and balanced in sweetness. There’s not much space to eat instore, only a counter and no chairs but it was fine for a quick lunch.
Possummmagic — Google review
One of, if not, the best baguette I’ve ever had. So fresh and crisp! We were stopped by multiple people in the neighborhood to ask us if we got our baguette from here, as they intended to recommended it to us. Seems like the people of this neighborhood are very proud of this gem of a bakery, and rightfully so.
Erick O — Google review
Best bakery in town! Must visit this place at least once if you’re in Paris. I only got the chance to go here twice. All pastries and sandwiches tasted fresh. People working here are very friendly. Go early in the morning for hot baguettes. I had a salmon & chicken sandwich in a bun bread! Amazing! I will be coming back every time I visit Paris! I highly recommend this bakery!

The bakery offers an array of delicious pastries and bread, including fresh sandwiches perfect for travel. Visitors can enjoy delectable croissants, croissant au Beurre, and brioche while sipping on good coffee.
The burger was really delicious! I wanted to buy a plain croissant, but it was sold out, so I bought a berry flavored one instead, and it was also pretty good.
Neo — Google review
Usually bought some lunch here before i had to go to my lecture. They sometimes gave me something extra like a cinnamon bread or a coffee. Very nice personnel! Also very international friendly.
Ashley P — Google review
Really delicious amazing pastries and great bread. They have a great selection of super tasty fresh sandwiches as well which was very handy to pack with us on our trips. Tried so many of the things here and really loved everything. Even bought some macarons to take back home that my family really enjoyed! Service was friendly and fast. English spoken by some of the staff.
Noor M — Google review
We loved the croissant and croissant au Beurre. Coffee was good (but slow), and the brioche was good as well, very fluffy. What we didn’t care for at all was the pain Suisse, the dough was really dry and tasteless. Otherwise, everything was good
Olivia L — Google review
A busy delicious boulangerie loved by the locals (has long but fast-moving queues always outside) and due to high demand they are constantly bringing out new pastries. They are crispy, light, delicious and still WARM when purchased
Asia M — Google review
We absolutely loved every pastry we got during our trip. Very nice people as well.
Justin S — Google review
I’ve been there twice only because it’s the closest to my house (and we don’t have so many options around here) and I will absolutely never come back. The pastries are regular to good but the service is horrible. The two ladies serving are disrespectful, unpleasant and not professional at all.

Perfect spot for a quick breakfast. They are open early, very friendly and reasonable able prices. Recommend!

Arrived in Paris late in the afternoon and grabbed some sandwiches and a salad from this local Boulangerie based on a recommendation. Not a lot to pick from since it was the end of the day. We also didn't know to ask to heat up the sandwiches which probably would have made it much better but the sandwiches were still pretty good.
Jennifer W — Google review
I enjoyed the critron tart, lightly sour and refreshing when accompanied with croissant. Croissant was decent but not life changing. Felt a little rushed to order because it was our first time visiting. Good range of choices, most of the items we had were decent. Would recommend as a quick grab and go

tout autour du pan,134 Rue de Turenne, 75003 Paris, France i went for walk in the square du temple elie-wiesel early one morning as the girls were asleep and past this pâtisserie by happenstance on the way back to the apartment on a roundabout way to get to walk around Picasso museum along the Rue de Thorigny, this pâtisserie had steady flow of of costumers in and out yet only one person ahead of me, the attendant spoke English and was very kind. I purchased one croissant and two chocolate croissants and ate half a chocolate one on the way to the museum, you know that feeling as an adult when you taste something new for that first time.? your eyes close and you hold that taste in your mouth as long as you can, this was one of those times, I stopped walking, thinking, hearing, listening, maybe even breathing as the flavors filled my mouth and slowly melted in one. I don't think I chewed that first crispy buttery chocolate bite, I just let it melt, now I've eaten plenty of croissants in my life, none like this, never again like that!! i went back again a few days later on the morning of our last full day ,as i made breakfast for the girls and I

Great cookie. Good ratio of chocolate and walnuts. Great balance between crispy and gooey on the inside. I’m more of a flat and crunchy cookie, but this was a good one.
Egc — Google review
Buy here everyday Pain de campaign and baguettes cause it’s outstanding quality. Freshly baked Croissaints and Pain aux chocolot is a dream. Apple pie or chausson aux pommes is must. Pain aux épices is also simple and super delicious.
Tulumyst ( — Google review
You absolutely have to try the excellent almond and chocolate croissant. If you’re looking for that true Parisian flavor — something that will completely delight you and is unlike anything else — then you simply have to come here. We will definitely and absolutely be coming back.
Ivana B — Google review
Shocked to see the low-ish rating here. This place blew us away, and was a clear winner for our favorite plain croissant we had during a 14 day trip around france. So good we went out of our way to have it again, and the price €1,80 is hard to beat

Lovely service and atmosphere, but disappointing croissants. While the laminations were very good and the outside had a crispy texture, inside they were heavy, oily and with no elasticity. Seemed like ‘day old’ despite being fresh.

(Translated by Google) While waiting for the tram, I said "Bonjour, tradition" and bought a warm baguette with cash. The crispy crust and the chewy, big air bubbles inside. The lady with the cute smile. I couldn't help but tear it off and eat it, feeling like eating a freshly cooked rice ball. I'm not a big fan of bread, but good tradition is an exception. It's one of the reasons I'm glad I moved to this area. Bakery
Boulangerie Kilani is a charming bakery located in Paris, offering a wide variety of sweet and savory treats. Visitors have praised the friendly staff who were accommodating despite language barriers. The bakery's menu includes an array of pastries such as croissants, pain au chocolat, and unique quiches like Salmon, Lorraine, and Spanish. Guests also recommend trying their tempered chocolate mangoes and baguettes.
Discovered this amazing boulangerie on my second day in Paris as it was across the street from my hotel. I stopped in every morning after that, and in the evening too. They were gracious and accommodated my minimal language skills and even recognized me when i walked in. I had quiche every morning (a different one each day, Salmon, Lorraine and Spanish) along with a pastry (again a different one each day, croissant, something amazing (don’t remember the name but it was delicious), pain au chocolat). The baguette for dinner was incredible too. Warning though. If you eat here everywhere else will be only so-so. The solution to that problem? Is to eat here everyday.

Boulangerie Utopie, a beloved neighborhood bakery, was established by two former Maison Laduree pastry chefs and has been at the forefront of the artisanal baking movement for the past decade. The bakery is renowned for its diverse offerings, including eye-catching activated-charcoal baguettes, black sesame rolls, and innovative croissants in chocolate and almond varieties. Their unique sourdough croissant made with tangy Montagu butter sets them apart from traditional pastries.
Utopie lived up to the hype for us. We really enjoyed the baguette, apple turnover, and almond croissant. The croissant was just good compared to the rest. The baguette was very crunchy and soft on the inside with a fragrant sourdough smell that not all places have. It definitely makes it more flavorful. The apple turnover was very crunchy as well with fresh apples inside. Almond croissant had a very nice texture with the paste. They really know how to make things crunchy here. Would definitely recommend if in Paris and the earlier you go in the morning the better. The prices are also very reasonable!

One of the best boulangerie I’ve ever been to. As a sesamephile and yuzu lover, this place brought together three loves: pastry, sesame, and citrus. The yuzu sesame flan was sublime. Flan was not too sweet, had good black sesame depth, and yuzu was perfectly present. I had croissant as a litmus test and comp to other bakeries: 10 outta 10. Staff is friendly and let me order in terrible French. Coffee is okay but you’re not here for that.

good but not amazingly good, the apple turnover was too heavy with not much of the fillings, croissant was good, but the outside can be more crispy, and sesame roll is a bit sweet for me, and lack of sesame flavor, the baguette was with a sour flavor. there was a line but moved fast.
Alex S — Google review
I went here because of social media. There was a bit of a line and a wait around 1 pm on a Sunday. I ordered the apricot pastry, which was good. Very flaky. Because of the line, I really didn't have time to browse and make a proper selection. The bakery was rather small and no place to sit, that is saw. There is no outdoor seating. I would return if in the area.

We visited Boulangerie Utopie a few times while in Paris in an attempt to try the black sesame roll. We went at 10:45 AM during our first visit on a Tuesday and they were sold out. We got to try a lot of items due to the multiple visits. We went around 7:30 AM on our other visits and the bakery cases were full and most of the pastries we got were still warm. Note that they don't serve sandwiches in the morning. Apple turnover - really flakey and full of apples. Be prepared for crumbs. Croissant - good all butter croissant Pain Au Chocolat - good pain au chocolat Sesame Roll - great for black sesame lovers Cinnamon Roll - wasn't bad but wouldn't need to get this again Pain Suisse - good Almond Pistachio Croissant - good Fig Tart - really pretty but the fig flavor was mild Pecan Dome - good Mini Black Sesame Madelines - skip, not a super strong black sesame flavor and a bit dry

I was on the hunt for the best croissant in Paris, and not only did I find it, I also found the best baguette. But the word is out — there was a line behind me twelve or thirteen deep. Had adorable Halloween croissants, too.
Sarah F — Google review
Best croissant in Paris IMO. Croissant with the right amount of flakiness, buttery yet not overly so, not doughy yet retaining that right amount of breadiness. Tried a few famous bakeries known for their croissants and Utopie was my favorite hands-down. A croissant only cost about 1.7 euros (or something around that). In comparison, another famous bakery not too far away was charging 3.8 euros per croissant (and that one was tasteless ironically).

One of the best bakeries in Paris! Fresh, high-quality pastries, standard prices, and very little waiting time. Highly recommended for breakfast or a sweet break during the day.

We found this place will walking to the Luxemburg Gardens and we couldn’t resist entering with such a nice smell coming out of it! We bought different savoury and sweet treats and everything was super fresh and delicious and at pretty good prices. The ladies were super fast in taking care of the costumers and very friendly. Definitely recommended!

The best fruit tarts I’ve ever tasted; love the baguettes as well, with organic Irish butter (France meets Ireland in your mouth-pow!), but the tarts, OMG.

I went to the bakery early in the morning for breakfast and tried the croissant and the cruffin with Nutella. Both of them were great. It's a really good bakery with great service and quality, and everything was great. If I lived nearby, I would definitely go there every day to take some food.

Best boulangerie for amazing fruit tarts and croissants! We came across this by chance and we are so glad we decided to give it a try. The strawberry tart was made with fresh strawberries and a generous amount of creamy custard. The tart itself was buttery and resembles a shortbread cookie base. The pain au chocolat was flaky with the perfect amount of chocolate. There are many bakeries in Paris, but this one was one of our favorites.

Delicious. Everything is delicious. The prices are reasonable as well. Sad that they are closed on the weekends otherwise I would eat there every morning.

Visually, they look very nice. I bought 2 cakes today. The foret noire for 4.5 euro is good, good texture, not too sweet, I give it 4 ☆☆☆☆, but I ate better for similar price. But the second one, with passion fruit, was not so good, I hoped for better; it has a spongy texture in an artificial way, it looks old, it tastes as carton, it has no distinctive flavour, and for 4.5 euro I give it 1☆. Overall, 3☆☆☆. Nice personel, pay by card possible. Clean inside.

Le Grenier à Pain Abbesses Bodian is a renowned bakery in Paris, known for its high-quality bread. The branch has won the Best Baguette in Paris twice and is the only one to have achieved this feat. Situated on Butte Montmartre, it continues to produce delightful bread. The bakery is part of a larger chain with locations worldwide, but has maintained its traditional pricing and commitment to excellence.
My favorite bakery in Paris! They offer a diverse selection of savory and sweet products. The traditional baguette had great texture as well as flavor. The pain au chocolate had a nice ratio of chocolate. The lemon eclair was excellent, although I think the pistachio eclair could have used a bit more flavor. For savory I got olive and cheese bread, which is my personal favorite, as well as a cheese tomato bread. I went three times in total, and lines were never longer than 15-20 minutes, but well worth the wait.

The best croissant I’ve ever had in Paris! 😍🥐 Buttery, flaky, and fresh — a true delight. This little gem is clearly loved by locals, as we saw plenty popping in while we were there. Highly recommend!

A gem This was our last stop before we headed to the airport to come back home. Recommend by a friend who use to live in Paris, in the same area as the bakery. She told me I needed to get the pain au chocolat as they tend to run out. I got myself the ham and tomato thing as well as a big log covered in chocolate. I ate what I got on my flight back to LA. My friend was right. They make good stuff. I have to commend the person working. She was literally the only person out there. It was quite busy and she had her hands full

This chocolate pastry is out of this world! If you are on a hunt for an amazing pain au chocolat but always wished if they could have more chocolate in it, then this is the one for you! No custard like a pain suisse, just loaded with delicious studs of chocolate and enveloped in the crispy, buttery and flaky exterior! 10/10!!

Worth Trying A fairly average experience. Nothing too unique within the store and prices above par. Pain au chocolate - par, not buttery, but not dry. Much more bready than average, so it's a heavier bite. Good structure.

A really good bakery. Even though it’s very popular and quite touristy, it still has kept its standards and offers great pastries. The pain au chocolat is particularly good as well as the Petits pains suisses aux pépites de chocolat.

Great little place for breakfast, brunch or tasty treats! Atmosphere is quaint and relaxing (the street outside is busy, but that's Paris). Indoor and outdoor seating are available to enjoy a meal or snack while people watching. The staff members are very pleasant and patient with customers, even when busy. Highly recommend this little gem!

We came here to try the raspberry cheesecake. The dough was fine, I would say it was sweet and salty at the same time. It's a very small boulangerie located on the boulevard. It has both indoor and outdoor seating but no toilets. My fiancée and me stopped here for a quick bite of something sweet and we were not disappointed. Both lemon tartalet and the blueberry cake with cream tasted amazing, were very light and not too sweet. The selection of bread looked good too even though we didn't have any. I can definitely recommend this place if you want to make a stop to eat something sweet.

Incredible baguette, one of the best I have ever had. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in the area. You know it's going to be good when the locals are queuing out the door! While we were there they brought out a load of freshly cooked baguettes and half of the basket was sold in about 2 minutes. Ours was still hot from the oven!! Incredible, I will be going back again and again

I love this place. I mean love it. It's so good it's dangerous. I just wish I could have everything set up before opening. It took them over 40 to set up half their pastries display. And they told us they were going to have sandwiches set up around 10:30; 3hr from opening.

We tried several different patisseries in Paris, and Madison Julian hands-down beat them all for having both the best baguettes and desserts. The coffee eclairs and chocolate totaled were so good I ate one nearly every day. This is not a place tourists go, it’s all locals, so not all of the staff speaks English. Super cute hidden gem!! Seems to be loved my locals as there was a long line but it moves quick! All the pastries and bread-based treats looked and smelled amazing!! This place had amazing baked goods. However, the star of the show was the passion fruit cheesecake due to the crunchy crust. I've never had a cheesecake with that kind of crust. This cheesecake had textural contrast and packed a ton of flavors. The passion fruit glaze was tangy and fresh. The cheesecake layer was creamy and sweet.

BO&MIE Louvre-Rivoli is a delightful bakery that offers an array of high-end, handcrafted breads and pastries in a bright and inviting space, complete with a charming mezzanine. Located conveniently near the Louvre, it’s the perfect stop for breakfast or lunch. Visitors rave about their exceptional lattes and delicious croissants, which are light and buttery—though some prefer them warm for that perfect crispiness.
I stopped by for breakfast before visiting the Louvre. it’s just across the street, super convenient, and the line moved quickly. The latte was the best I had during my trip in France, smooth and perfectly balanced. The croissant was served cold, so it lacked that crisp exterior, but the texture was light and fluffy, with a lovely buttery flavor. I also tried the raspberry NY roll, which was excellent — just the right amount of tartness and not overly sweet. The filling was generous and satisfying. My favorite was the savory bread with bacon and mozzarella. They served it warm and it was incredibly flavorful. Just a heads-up: if you don’t eat it right away, it does get a bit oily later. I think in general this store is on average among so many good bakeries in Paris, but it’s also a good spot for breakfast.
Xiyun L — Google review
Food is fantastic but commercial. They offer huge selection of croissant and baguettes. Their drink menu is thrust quenching in summer heat. In peak hours, finding a seat is difficult but if are lucky enough to find one near the window, you can enjoy your croissants and coffee with fantastic views of the street.
Ronak S — Google review
⭐️ - The place does not deserve 4.5/5 stars on google. Food is standard but it’s very commercial. Service is friendly, but they call out the ticket number in French which of course makes the line longer. Despite the good reviews, this place is really nothing special, and I recommend you try something out of the city to really experience good pastry. I would never recommend a friend to go here unless they just needed a quick bite on the go. It’s unfortunately impossible to relax here as it’s really loud in the café, and packed to the brim. Seating area is dirty, dark and humid. It was a recipe for overstimulation. Their Americano was good - but the bagel we received was dry and flat, giving the impression of the bread being at least a day old. We would really not recommend it. I also ordered a quiche, that we had chosen to get heated up, but I still received it somewhat cold. Lastly café even encourages people to leave reviews for freebies… making many of the current reviews even more misleading.

This is my favourite cafe in Paris. When I studied here, I used to come every day : ) Food is absolutely awesome! Best desserts, best brownie, best croissant framboise ever. I really like that there are quite a lot of savory options as well. Prices are totally ok for Paris. There is always a queue, but it was always worth it to wait : )
Zhivena M — Google review
I finally made it to BO&MIE near the Louvre, and it completely lived up to the hype! I had to try one of their classic sweet and a savory item, and the quality was incredible across the board. First up was the Chocolate Croissant (Pain au Chocolat). It was pure perfection: flaky, crisp layers on the outside that shattered beautifully, giving way to a rich, buttery interior. The chocolate was generous and high-quality—it truly felt like a premium take on the classic. Then I moved on to the savory Ham and Cheese Croissant. This was a great, substantial midday treat. The same perfect, buttery pastry was packed with excellent ham and gooey, savory cheese. It was warm, satisfying, and everything you’d want in a bakery lunch item. The whole place has a lovely, cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect stop for a quick bite or a proper sit-down break near the museum. If you’re looking for high-quality, 100% pure butter viennoiseries, this is the place to go!
Kyle J — Google review
The croissant and quiche here were the best I had in Paris! Ordering is easy at the kiosk, and the location is great too. And I took the croissant back to the hotel and even the next morning it was still crispy and delicious.
Saya — Google review
Great location, spacious cafe with great look out on a busy corner. Bright ambiance. One of those self order terminals but you can order yourself at the counter as well. Organization seems a bit like a chaos though and even when ordering inside you get parked in a not very inviting corner. You get all the stress from the busy corner even though you just wanted to sit down. Table service for in house costumers would give a better experience. When you want a coffee to go, waiting for your order is no problem in my opinion. Coffee was solid but expensive but what to expect on a location like that, no surprise. They don’t have a porta filter espresso machine that was a disappointment for that kind of coffee shop/ bakery. Ambience is a bit worse at the moment due to loud construction works during opening times.

Decided to stop by this location after a visit to the Louvre. It was walking distance but this location was definitely very popular. We were in line waiting to order while the rest of the family went to look for seating upstairs. I got one of the famous raspberry croissant as well as two sandwiches, and chocolate eclair. It was affordable for lunch and the croissant was delicious. Wouldn't mind coming back in the future.

The bakery's croissants are known for their generous size and use of Charentes-Pouitou AOC butter blended with organic flour from Moulins de Brasseuil. The best croissant in Paris. I researched to look for the best croissant bakery in Paris and I was so excited to try this bakery. The crispy crust and battery croissant was perfect. I went back to the bakery the next day and enjoyed it again. The line can be long but don't get scared, it moves quickly. I am still dreaming about the bakery.

The place was packed, but the line moved quickly and honestly, it’s totally worth the wait. The croissant here might be the best I’ve ever had. Super flakey and crunchy on the outside, but soft and buttery inside, like a warm pillow that melts in your mouth. The baguette with salami and pickles was simple but perfect… super crunchy crust, soft center, and that deep, toasty flavor you only get from real French bread. I kinda didn’t expect something that plain to taste that good. The staff were nice, patient, and even switched to English without me asking, which helped a lot. The place was lively and the line was fun and kind of chaotic in the best way.

Came to try their award winning croissant 🥐 is it life changing? Short answer: nope. Only really had croissants in USA or Asia and haven’t ever been overly impressed so would this change things? 🤔 The staff helped me despite not knowing any French. They are super quick cuz they know people are here for one thing. The croissant is really good. Maybe best I’ve had but not next level that I had hoped. What really boosts it is the price. Def recommend ✌️

The best croissant that we tried in Paris and also quite cheap. We had to go back to get more croissants before leaving Paris. It was buttery, crispy, flakey, delicious, and didn't feel too heavy. Service is also very quick people are in and out within 5-10 minutes. The lemon tart was also surprisingly incredible. We regret only getting 1 to share. Highly recommend.

Croissants are very good. I also had their kouign amann and loved it. We enjoyed their baguette sandwiches. My wife had their tuna because she’s a pescatarian. I tried their prosciutto/sun-dried tomatoes, ham sandwich & chicken/egg baguette sandwiches. My favorite is the chicken/egg. We had come here 3 times during our trip.

Apparently rated as the best croissants in Paris back in 2018 and I can totally see why! This has become my go-to spot whenever I’m nearby. The croissant is everything you’d hope for: perfectly flaky on the outside, light, fluffy, and full of beautiful layers inside. Each bite is crispy yet soft, just heavenly. And you know what? I also love their little cheese balls (not sure what the real name is, they’re placed near the cashier). I remember it was around €3 for 100g, and they’re super addictive! The cashier speaks English well, and all the other staff are very helpful in keeping the line moving quickly if there’s a queue. Highly recommended if you’re in the area. 🥐💛

Buttery, crispy croissants just like many others have expressed. If you go here in the middle of the day, except long lines but if you go earlier after 9:00am you should be fine. I visited this local Paris spot twice in 1 week because my hotel was right around the corner. I tried picking up their lovely quiche’s at 7:00 am & unfortunately they were not ready this early in the day. So my day train trip lacked the essential quiche meal. No regrets though :)

Poilâne is a small bakery in Paris known for its meticulous artisanal process, from pastry-making to baking. Their flagship product, the miche, is a substantial sourdough loaf with a robust crust and dense crumb. Despite language barriers, the friendly staff offers reasonable prices and delicious baked goods. Visitors are greeted by the enchanting scent of freshly baked pastries and a charming ambiance that transports them straight to the heart of Paris.
This is probably my most visited boulangerie in Paris and, in my opinion, rightfully so. They have a small selection of pastries to choose from and a few are showcasing apples. I've had the apple tart several times and it is my favourite classic I've tried. This time I tried the chausson aux pommes which wasn't as good bit in no way bad. Smooth and a bit sour apple puree inside a flaky and buttery shortcrust pastry which is as light as a cloud and just melts in your mouth. I think I could of had 3 of these because they're so moreish and not heavy at all.

Came here because of the good reviews in search for the best baked goods in Paris. Took a chance on the chausson sale which was delicious, buttery pastry, well-seasoned potatoes with lots of herbs and spices. Also got their unique chocolate savoir-faire, which was a very nice cookie with a snap and a balanced chocolate slab inside. Would love to come back to try more of their creations!

The Tartelette Aux Pommes (Apple Tart) was awesome and delicious. Would definitely recommend if you craving for a good apple tart. Sable Fourre (Biscuit with Chocolate Filling) was a good biscuit with dark chocolate filling. Bonhomme Pain D’Epices (Gingerbread Man) was interesting. It was an actual ginger bread instead of ginger cookie. The ginger bread was okay overall but prefer the ginger cookie style :)

We were very happy going to Poilane. We usually order loaves by FedEx for special occasions, so it was a treat to visit a physical location. Our French is terrible but the staff was cordial and we were able to communicate reasonably well.
David S — Google review
Small little bakery with amazing food. Open early with very friendly staff, even though we spoke no French. They did understand some basic English words, enough for us to describe and ask what some things are. For where it is located, we found the price very reasonable, see the picture below for what we got for under 15€ (3 of each and ¼ of a large sourdough). If you are in the area, I would recommend having a look, or picking something up on the way to the Tower to eat.

The French Bastards in Saint-Denis is a renowned boulangerie in Paris, known for its delectable freshly baked goods and exceptional sandwiches, perfect for a delightful lunchtime picnic. The founders, also referred to as the three French bastards, have expanded their rebellious bakery to the Left Bank with a stylish establishment on rue de Sevre.
Non traditional French bakery, offering an extensive selection of bagel sandwiches, sweet treats, baked treats. I tried the pistachio swirl, it was excellent and delicious, and the coffee was excellent. Will return to try the other pastries. Very limited seating area.

I really wanted to try this place and I’m happy I found it just after a nice lunch not far away. I tried the “Cookie Roll” which was a circular croissant stuffed with chocolate-chip cookie dough, chocolate chips and Nutella. It was sweet, delicious, and made for an excellent dessert/snack on my flight back home. Only downside would be the price, but I managed to have it over the course of two days.

I had such a great experience at The French Bastards! The service was fantastic--everyone was super friendly and even helped me decide what to get. I went with the Pain Suisse, and wow... it was incredible. The chocolate and crème filling was rich and delicious, and the bread itself was perfectly soft and fresh. The bakery was busy, but there were plenty of spots to sit both inside and outside, making it a great place to enjoy your treat right away. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Paris.

A very nice and fresh bakery with a wide variety of baked goods. I really loved the vibes, the cozy atmosphere, and the overall welcoming feel of the place. My only suggestion would be to enhance the quality of the coffee they serve, which would make the experience even more perfect

Very well known & famous French bakery for good reason! Located in the most beautiful industrial space flooded with natural light & neon signs, a large display case awaits of the most delicious baked goods await. The line was long but moved along quick! Their oat milk latte was great & my friend got a chocolate croissant which she claimed after an enter week in Paris - this was the BEST she had.
Heather B — Google review
I had breakfast here every day for a week. Everything is amazing, from bagels to croissants, sandwiches, pastries… really top notch. It’s a great “to go” place since they have one or two tables only. Highly recommend the focaccia sandwich! Also, coffee is good but not amazing (if you’re from the US, it’s amazing then).

Definitely worth the hype! I got the cookie roll which was very good, the burrata sandwich (which was definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had - the bread was top notch and ingredients were very high quality). The pain suisse was one well made pastry and the flan was creamy- made with vanilla beans. The service was great too- Alice was very lovely and attentive.

This place has my favourite pastry of all times! Their vanilla praline cream puff actually changed my life. I went back to get it two days in a row. We also had their burrata sandwich and tuna bagel which were both delicious. A must try in Paris 😋

MAISON LARDEUX is a charming bakery in Paris, owned by the talented couple Jean-Philippe and Tatiana Lardeux. With Jean-Philippe's extensive experience in baking, the bakery offers a variety of bread, but their baguette tradition comes highly recommended. The patisserie is renowned for its delectable desserts and croissants, with patrons praising the freshness and quality of the food.
Perfect Little Bakery in Montmartre! So glad I stumbled across this adorable French bakery tucked into a charming corner of Montmartre. It’s pretty small inside, but they have some outdoor seating. The croissant was buttery, flaky perfection, and the baguette might be the best I’ve ever had—crusty on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. Everything felt super fresh and authentically French. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!

We went there three times. This is an award winning bakery, that says it all. My partner is a celiac (wheat intolerant NOT allergy), so cross contamination not an issue. Partner had the filling of the custard flan (superb) and macaroons (raspberry and lemon - outstanding). For me the croissant was perfect, crispy and light; assume this is 100% . Each morning we had two coffees, two coffees and I tried the following (there and took things for lunch) Apple crumble - taste great texture fragile 85%. Quiche Lorraine - filling and texture 90%. Parisse - baguette 100 %. Raspberry donut - 90 %, Raspberry croissant 90 %. Ham/cheese slice -95 %. Vanilla madeleine - 75 %. The best available for any baked good in Sainsbury (uk) would score on this scale 50 %, usually less . If you love bread this place not be missed. By Paris standard service friendly and efficient.

I have to admit that I love Parisian Boulanger's because they are unique in the way each of them create food and sweets . Simply they are all great food Artists . I was a regular morning visitor here for breakfast, coffee or beautiful little cakes. I loved my mornings in this place, sitting outside , enjoying the sun with my sandwich and coffee . Thank you ☺️😄☺️

This patisserie is the best for me so far in Paris. Here I can say that I tried the greatest desserts and croissants in France. The food is 100/10, extremely tasty and fresh. I tried tartles with lemon and Meringue, and the second with chocolate. I can be sure that everything is done so clean with high-quality products. The croissant with chocolate and orange is just wow. For savory food, we got one with spenish and ricotta and the other one with bacon and cheese (which is really outstanding). This patisserie is must visit in your next trio to Paris. For the price is quite affordable: tartles ~5-6 euros, croissants~1.5

Boulangerie Paris & Co Convention is a charming bakery with an elegant and organized atmosphere. The business is known for its incredibly tasty desserts, especially the baguettes which have won awards. Customers appreciate the passion and care put into the food, noting that every bite reflects this dedication. While some visitors found limited breakfast options in the morning, others praised the delicious pastries like pain au chocolat and croissants.
For a flan lover, come visit this boulangerie on Sunday and you’ll be dazzled. Its flan bar offered more than 10 flavors which I didn’t imagine that I would see this many flans before. I got there a bit before 9am, and there was a short line that moved fast. Both flans I pikced tasted good, as well as the profiterole.
Rachel M — Google review
I saw the advertisement on Instagram that the flan here is very delicious. And I came to buy it. Honestly, it is not as delicious as advertised. For me, it is about 7/10 points, the cake is a bit too sweet. Crust is very soft and chewy. The pain au chocolat is also dry and not crispy. Another thing, the staff is not friendly, she seem to rush me to buy quickly even though I have just been in for about 2 minutes and was thinking about buying something else with the flan..
Na N — Google review
I visited this shop the cookie I had was amazing. I had a chocolate chip caramel pecan cookie. I also ordered a pistachio croissant and another dessert. However, I didn’t receive those 😭. I didn’t notice it until I was at the airport that they were not box with my cookie dessert or in my bag.

Also came here because of Tiktok and was not disappointed! Obviously tried the flan parisien and it was great. I can't really compare it to other ones as it's my first time trying a flan, but I loved it! And I think that the price of 5.9€ is quite reasonable for such a big piece!
Augustė A — Google review
The flans are delicious but not extraordinary as advertised in Instagram. I liked that they were very mild in sugar, not too sweet. They are prepared in croissant style flakes. Make sure you are there on Sundays. That's the only day they make all flavors of flans.
Deniz O — Google review
A lovely little bakery with a cozy Parisian vibe. The flan is delicious — creamy, smooth, and full of vanilla flavor. The croissant looks fresh and generously filled, and the mini tart is a great treat to pair with the peach Lipton tea. Prices are very reasonable (between €1–10), and the location is great — just a short walk from the Seine. Perfect spot for a quick breakfast or coffee break before exploring the city. Would definitely come back!
Majed A — Google review
In terms of the bakery itself, the quality is very good. Their baguette is among the best in France, and their croissants and viennoiseries are excellent. The tarts and pastries aren’t as strong, though their flan is definitely worth trying. My lower rating, however, is not about the food. It’s about something more serious: the way foreign customers are treated. On my last visit, I tapped my card, the payment was canceled, she adjusted the terminal, turned it back to me with the price increased, and when I questioned it, she said it was because I had a foreign card then pulled out another terminal without the extra fee. A Mastercard is a Mastercard everywhere, and I already pay foreign transaction fees through my own bank. To be charged again at the terminal feels like exploitation of tourists, which is deeply disappointing in a city like Paris that survives off tourists.
Touriste — Google review
I heard about this place on Tik Tok and set my mind on trying their famous flan. Before that point, I had never eaten a flan in my life, so I didn’t know what to expect I arrived at around 10 am and both wait lines (for online and in shop orders) weren’t too long, so the wait is relatively short, and I got my order pretty quick The taste was good, but what really makes it special to me is the quantity : it had be stuffed for the rest of the day! Overall, I absolutely recommend testing their flan

During our 2-night family stay in Paris, we visited La Petite Alsacienne every morning for breakfast and to pick up a few things for lunch while exploring the city. We tried a variety of delicious treats: croissants, pains au chocolat, baguette au thon, pretzels, éclairs au chocolat, mille-feuilles, sandwich au bœuf, gougères, financiers, and the pizza trois fromages. Everything was beyond amazing and clearly made with love. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We only wish we had stayed longer to try more! We’ll definitely visit again if we return to Paris.

Very authentic French patisserie/artisan boulangerie. The problem is deciding what to choose - it all looks so good - and the fact is it all tasted as good if not better than it looked. I tried quiche, cakes, rolls and baguettes and it was all fantastic.

Everything is delicious, baguettes are crunchy and perfect, Mille-feuille is fantastic, staff is nice and welcoming. Besides that you know the place is good because of the lines of local people but they are quite fast. Their only issue is not having a store where I live in Brazil. Had gone around Paris to try different Flan. Reasonable price at £4.50. I would say it’s better than Mille & Un at Rue Saint-Placide. Must try Boulangarie. The assistant even gave us 3 puffs to try out. So nice of her👍🏻

Too expensive for what it is, I would find another bakery if you can. No complains on service, necessarily fast on Sunday morning to keep the line moving. But the store is badly laid out: in the queue, you can’t see the windows which forces you to pick what you want in an instant. This is unpleasant and rushy, while you’ve been waiting for a while. To top it all, the croissants and pains au chocolat are the tiniest ever and not noteworthy. The brioche feuillettée is something like 9€ (really); and it’s not worth it. Sorry but I can’t recommend your products and store to others.
Philip T — Google review
If you want to know which bakery the locals frequent, this is it. I don’t think they want us to know about this spacious boulangerie w seating lol - the ratings are rather low but the queue has not stopped the entire time we were here. It’s the busiest boulangerie we’ve seen during our extended stay in Paris. The quiche is amazingly tasty and soft and they serve Nespresso coffee. Extensive selection. I do recommend when you’re near Butte-Chaumont,

Until now, the chocolate croissants and regular croissants I'd bought were generally of good quality, even the best in the shops at Gare Montparnasse. The "love of pastries" mentioned on the company's website seems to have considerably diminished… It's unacceptable to sell such substandard products. What a shame. If you're in the area, it's worth trying everything, as each product is a little culinary masterpiece. Definitely one of the best places I've had the chance to visit!

Du Pain et des Idées is a must-visit bakery located in Paris’s 10th arrondissement, one of the city’s most authentic and surprisingly safe neighborhoods, where you can still find some of the most affordable living compared to central Paris. The bakery itself dates back to 1875, and you can feel its timeless charm the moment you step in. But the real joy comes when you sit outside: right in front, there are wooden tables where you can enjoy their unforgettable croissants and the famous escargot pastry. A little tip – grab a coffee from the lovely café just next door, then settle down at the bakery’s outdoor tables for the perfect Parisian breakfast moment. This combination of history, flavor, and atmosphere makes it not just a bakery stop, but a true Paris experience.

Croissants were very good, coffee was good but probably a bit overpriced. We were lucky that there was a short queue only when we went but the line was long moments later. Seating limited - only some bench tables outside. We had the pain au chocolates and the pistachio escargot - would recommend both.

best pastries I’ve had in Paris! We got pastries from so many places during our stay in Paris, but this was hands down the best one we tried! I got the Pain Suisse and it was still warm and so flaky - butter and chocolate perfection! Going back for more as soon as possible, truly the best pastries in Paris!

Extremely overrated, another overhyped photogenic spot… After hearing all the good things about it on social media, we were so looking forward to trying their pistachio snail but only to be left with disappointment. Completely agree with the other comments that it’s soggy and flavourless. You could barely taste the pistachio. To be honest, you don’t have to make a trip just for a croissant in Pairs. In my experience, with boulangeries around every corner of Paris, just head to the closest one to your location. Those frequented by locals would always do better pastries than the popular touristy places
Emma — Google review
This pastry shop lives up to the hype. There was a short line around 10 a.m., but it moved quickly. Two communal tables are available outside for seating. Several varieties of pastries lined the counter, with a special shout-out to the pistachio escargot and flan. My friend got the fig pastry and couldn’t stop raving about it the entire trip. If it were closer to our hotel, we would have visited daily.

This is a true bakery. They don’t have dairy they don’t have any kind of meat, just coffee and products of flour. There are also lots of bees inside, which makes me think that this place is extremely clean. The staff was also extremely friendly. I wish them the best.

Le Petit Vendôme is a charming bistro located near the elegant Place Vendôme in Paris. It's known for serving up regional classics, daily specials, and most notably, exceptional sandwiches. The restaurant is a popular spot for locals who line up on weekdays to order freshly-made sandwiches from the blackboard by the counter. The atmosphere is unpretentious and colorful, offering a taste of authentic Parisian dining.
Great Cafe culture. The staff was helpful & friendly. The service is relaxed. They even brought us water so the myth of having to buy bottled water is not true. The sandwich was outstanding. The charcuterie was the bomb! - Cured 3 kinds of salami - Camembert cheese - Sandwich - Fillet Mignon - Dessert of Pear Tart & Pot de creme

This restaurant was recommended by a French gentleman in Paris, but honestly, the food was quite disappointing 😅. We ordered steak, duck, cheese, and onion soups. All of them were rather bland and not tasty at all, except for the French fries served with the steak. I wouldn’t visit this place again in Paris since there are so many better restaurants around. It’s mainly famous for its sandwiches and there’s always a long queue. I’d recommend getting a sandwich to go instead of dining in. Cheese was amazing tho!
Soojin L — Google review
The sandwich was very good, but I don't know that it's worth a long queue to take away. A better option, if you can swing it, is to get a seat at the bar. I went by myself and had no trouble finding a single seat. By the time I left, there seemed to be a short wait. Once at the bar, you're treated to a show: Philippe (I think that's his name) seems to run everything behind the counter, and he kindly and quickly delivered my sandwich and wine. When I asked for a glass of water, he was quick to oblige with a smile. The other benefit of being at the bar is you can talk with anyone who seems social nearby. The lovely gentleman to my right lifted his fresh beer to my wine with an, "à votre santé!" as we both admired the chocolate filled choux pastries placed right near us, waiting to be delivered to a nearby table. I've heard you can only order the sandwiches at the bar. Be prepared to bring cash as they don't take CB for anything under €13. After watching the people working so hard in front of you while you eat, you might just want to round up your cash payment by a few extra euros as a tip. Being relatively shy, I was intimidated by the hustle and bustle of the interior as I passed by at first, but then I turned around and forced myself to go in to see what the hype was all about, and I'm so glad I did. It made for an unforgettable afternoon.

We visited due to their reputation of being one of the best sandwich/ baguette places. There was a ling queue at 1pm but it moved fairly quickly. We got a jambon de Bourgogne and for €9 it wasn’t cheap but we enjoyed it. The baguette itself was tasted good and fresh, and generous with its fillings. We recommend a visit and don’t be discouraged by the long line. We went back a few days later to get a basic jambon buerre but at 4pm and it was sold out of baguette .

was a lovely place! i came at 16:00 and there was no line so i sat down at the bar (was really fun to watch all the chaos, great vibes) and got served immediately! i had a small beer at the counter and took my sandwich to go and it cost me 10€ (if you eat or drunk at the table or the terasse you need to pay an additional 2€) the sandwich itself is nothing crazy, just a good sandwich
Kiara C — Google review
Apparently, this is the best sandwich in the world. Rated by whom? No clue. Some mysterious council of baguette enthusiasts, perhaps. But the internet said it, so naturally, we believed it — because that’s what we do. Thirty minutes later, there we stood, hungry, jet-lagged, and questioning every life decision that led us to this Parisian sandwich pilgrimage. Locals breezed past us, rolling their eyes while we clutched our Google Maps like lost toddlers. But hey, commitment is commitment. And then — the ham and cheese arrived. Hot, melty, buttery perfection on a crusty baguette that could double as a weapon and a work of art. One bite in, and suddenly the line didn’t feel so dumb anymore. We became those people. The ones who post photos and say “worth the wait” while pretending we didn’t just spend half an hour for a sandwich. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Because apparently, I’m both self-aware and incapable of learning from my mistakes. Five stars for the sandwich. Zero stars for my patience.
Jason B — Google review
We pulled one of my least favorite moves visiting a restaurant, showing up 10 minutes before the kitchen was closing. We had no idea however, and the staff was beyond accommodating. We ordered on the fly and they were kind enough to make us 2 jambon-beurre for takeaway on our way out. Steak frites was our favorite we had on our trip, and way better that a few of the flagship restaurants around the city. Great staff, great atmosphere, amazing sandwiches 🤤
AC S — Google review
We came here for lunch after seeing it recommended. We wanted to try their famous sandwiches, but they’re only served after 4 PM or for takeout. So we decided to stay for lunch and ordered a burger, duck, and onion soup. The soup was okay, the duck was very greasy but edible, and the burger was terrible — completely raw inside, no salt or seasoning at all. Even my son, who loves burgers, couldn’t finish it. We took their sandwiches to go later, but they were just average (only the baguette was nice). Loud music, crowded, and very little space. Overall, not worth the visit.

Restaurant
Au Petit Versailles du Marais is a charming bakery and tearoom that offers an array of pastries, tarts, cakes, and bread. Owned by the renowned master baker Christian Vabret, this establishment is a tribute to the art of baking. The interior is adorned with golden mirrors reminiscent of the famous Hall Of Mirrors in Versailles. With its origins dating back to 1860, the bakery retains its original painted paneling, adding to its quaint charm.
This stop was maybe the french place i visited in Paris. Good coffee and deserts. The interior send you back in time. We had great time here. This was my friend favorite place when he lived near by! Recommend!

What I’m rating with this 5 star is the bakery. Not the tea salon. The owner of the bakery is a MOF, which means he won a very harsh competition to get his title. He has been 2nd to the best baguette of Paris in 2014. Now what you should take is any viennoiseries : croissant, pain au chocolat, chausson aux pommes, pain suisse. Or any small pastries : the best being the Tarte Tatin. The Paris Brest and the Mille feuille are terribly good. The quiche looked very good, juicy, generous last time I went. Some French cakes are baked to hard, you are not supposed to eat them like but with a tea or a coffee. You come to a bakery, please choose a vegetarian option that is not a cooked dish ( potatoes, lettuces etc ) . i.e take bread items : almost everything is vegetarian then. I’m annoyed sometimes to see the bakery trying to make vegetarian dishes to please everyone, this goes against the essence bakery : which is to bake. I have read the comments saying that they overcharge when you sit, and it is true ( thanks to Mc Donald ) because the taxes to sit or takeaway are different ( 5,5% vs 20%, btw McDonald only pays 5,5 %) Also, about the friendliness of the staff, things are made from scratch, which means you may have someone who has been here since 4 am for the bakers, 6 am for the staff. They may be tired as they don’t just come at 8am to empty a fridge or worst : a freezer. Again, that tarte Tatin you are not going to find everywhere, and it is so well made. My family is from Normandy, and the apples he chose are perfectly acid enough to balance the sugar. A marvel. The whipped heavy cream on the top is cuddling.

We arrived in Paris today. This was our first stop after checking into our apartment just around the corner. We purchased several items for take away. This bread was striking in its appearance so we purchased it too. It was surprisingly dense and moist. Old world style. It had a wonderful flavor & texture. The staff was extra friendly and attentive even though the shop was a bit busy. Highly recommended by me.

100% worth visiting. the pastries are of the best quality and the place itself is a piece of art. grab sth and go to the nearest park to enjoy the food. i tried a baguette , Cappuccino and pain au chocolate and loved every bite. Also they speak perfect English

During my first day exploring Paris this winter, I had the pleasure of starting my morning at this charming bakery. The experience was cozy and inviting, a perfect introduction to the city’s culinary delights. The coffee was rich and aromatic, a delightful companion to the flaky, buttery croissants, and the éclair was absolutely divine, striking the right balance of sweetness and texture. While the bakery itself offers a lovely experience for those nearby, I’d say it’s more of a local gem than a destination spot. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, it’s definitely worth stopping by. However, I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip from afar, as the essence of this bakery is best enjoyed as part of a broader exploration of the area’s offerings.

So Parisian! Beautiful surroundings and tasty treats! The pastries were buttery and flaky. The windows are full of pastries, quiches and breads from a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) winner. Excellent location for people watching too.

Their products are absolutely fantastic, but the service is the problem here. The staff is not friendly at all (especially with tourists), they have no interest in helping you at all and they completely refuse to speak english to non-french customers. It is so rude and I came here many times trying to get past their disrespectful attitude, but I just refused to go anymore. I had to find another place in the area. A shame, I think they lost a lot of customers due to that. So, yes, the products are delicious, but it is not worth it.

Ladurée is an upscale bakery with Parisian roots, renowned for its exquisite French macarons available in a variety of flavors. The brand gained widespread recognition after featuring in the 2006 film Marie Antoinette, where actress Kirsten Dunst indulged in their macarons. Known for their signature pastel-colored macarons, Ladurée has recently shifted focus under the leadership of pastry chef Claire Heitzler towards prioritizing quality ingredients and seasonal variations.
Visiting Ladurée Champs-Élysées is truly a magical Parisian experience. Located on the world’s most iconic avenue, this elegant tea room combines French luxury, history, and indulgence all in one place. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a refined décor that perfectly blends tradition with Parisian chic. The staff is attentive, professional, and always ready with great recommendations, whether it’s for their world-famous macarons or the signature pastries. The macarons are, of course, the highlight—delicate, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavor. Pairing them with a pot of their fragrant tea or a rich hot chocolate makes for an unforgettable treat. Their brunch and dessert menus are also excellent, offering a wide selection of French classics prepared with finesse. Whether you sit inside their beautifully decorated salon or outside with a view of the Champs-Élysées, the atmosphere is simply enchanting. It’s more than just a café—it’s a true Parisian institution where every visit feels special.

A Glimmer of Parisian Grandeur on the Champs-Élysées Amidst the bustle of the Champs-Élysées, Ladurée’s flagship salon offers a serene retreat, a pastel jewel box that feels indulgently Parisian. While the avenue brims with global commerce, stepping inside transports you to a world of elegance and charm. The recent renovations have enhanced its timeless appeal, blending Belle Époque sophistication with modern comfort. The ornate interiors now feel warmer and more inviting, perfect for afternoon tea or a leisurely lunch. Of course, the stars are the macarons. Each delicate bite — whether the floral rose or the indulgent salted caramel — balances crispness with tender sweetness, a hallmark of Ladurée’s craft. The pastries are no less impressive, miniature works of art that delight both the eyes and the palate. Though often labeled a tourist pilgrimage, the attentive service and consistently superb quality elevate the experience well beyond cliché. Ladurée remains a place to savor not just French patisserie, but a touch of Parisian perfection, right on the world’s most famous avenue.

Wow! I had high expectations for the macarons but was stunned by the beauty of the shop. They have curated this location so beautifully; you are in a dream being there! The Macarons were the perfect mix of slight crunch on the outside and soft, yummy inside. None of the flavors tasted artificial, and my favorite was the passionfruit. This is a must stop location in Paris.

Ladurée is a truly enchanting Parisian café. We tried their macarons and coffee here, but the experience goes far beyond that, the atmosphere itself is captivating. The setting is elegant and charming, and the macarons are absolutely delicious. To be honest, I’ve had macarons of similar quality in Türkiye as well, but the ambiance here makes everything feel more special and refined. Places like this are not just about taste- the whole experience comes together as one. It’s definitely a spot that deserves a place on your Paris list.

Very nice place, very cute french vibes. They have a restaurant, we didnt eat there. Its expensive. On the side door you can stand in line for the macrons. They use jam and not frosting, they were the best you will ever try most likely. Worth it to try. They have probably about a dozen or so flavors. You get a nice box with your purchase. They serve hot drinks and other sweets we didnt try them.

I honestly expected this place to be a big tourist trap, but the truth is I really loved it. Yes, we had to wait in line to be seated, but it was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious – we ordered avocado toast, a burrata salad, a cocktail, and hot chocolates. Everything was beautifully prepared, and the hot chocolates were simply incredible! The service was excellent as well – attentive, professional, and very welcoming, which made the experience even better. To top it all off, we picked up some macarons at the end to take home as gifts, and they were delightful. Overall, it turned out to be a wonderful experience, much better than I had anticipated. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

Lauderee Paris is a MUST if you are visiting "The City of Lights" I highly reccomend the tea expérience, and their hot chocolate ! I was stunned at how delicous the Chocolat Chaud was! It was even better than "Angelina's" steaming beverage! Make certain to make réservations first, they do get quite busy. The staff is all very friendly and the atmosphère and ambiance are phénoménal. A Glimmer of Parisian Grandeur on the Champs-Élysées Amidst the bustling grandeur of the Champs-Élysées, Ladurée's flagship salon continues to offer a delightful respite, a vibrant pastel jewel box that transcends mere retail. While the avenue itself can be a whirlwind of global commerce, stepping into Ladurée is to be transported to a softer, more indulgent Paris. The recent renovations have only enhanced its timeless appeal, with the refreshed interiors offering a charming blend of classic elegance and modern comfort. The delicate hues and ornate details still evoke the Belle Époque, yet the flow feels more inviting, more attuned to the leisurely pursuits of an afternoon tea or a relaxed lunch. And then, of course, there are the macarons. These diminutive confections, a hallmark of the house, remain as exquisite as ever. Each bite is a whisper of flavor — from the subtle floral notes of rose to the rich depth of salted caramel – encased in that inimitable crisp shell and yielding, tender interior. Beyond the famed macarons, the pastries are miniature works of art, almost too beautiful to consume, yet utterly irresistible. While some might consider Ladurée a pilgrimage for tourists, its enduring quality and the impeccable, attentive service suggest otherwise. It is a place where one can truly savor the art of French patisserie, a small pocket of perfection that, even on the world's most famous avenue, feels uniquely, wonderfully Parisian.

Boulangerie Poilâne is a renowned bakery in Paris, celebrated for its exceptional bread and pastries. Established in 1932, this family-owned bakery continues to uphold traditional baking methods, using wood-fired ovens and slow sourdough fermentation. The signature loaves are a testament to the founder's dedication to quality over quantity. Visitors can indulge in an array of delectable treats such as butter cookies, croissants, and pain au chocolat that showcase unparalleled excellence.
Finally! I've made it to Poilane! So many times I wanted to, was just around the corner, but never made it. This time, I made sure. For any person who's into baking bread, eating good bread, talking about good bread, the Poilane is a cult location. It was rainy October morning, a few people standing outside in a line. While waiting outside, I admired the display of apple tarts and turnovers in the window, bread display on the right wall, and souvenirs on the left. Once inside, I ordered an apple tart and some sliced bread. The man before me asked to slice a new boule - dark and crusty, exactly how I like it. So I got my hand on about 1/3 of that boule. The service is typical Parisian - a little cold, but nothing out of ordinary. My biggest "ouch " moment was with their bakery logo cloth bag that I was eyeing from the outside. It cost a whooping 38€. I decided I could go without. I guess it's a perfect example of the case when first you work for your name, and later, your name works for you. Anyhow - to the bread. The apple tart is nothing to write home about. Not bad, but laminated dough is not this place strongest point. It's on a home baker level. The bread in its turn is wonderful! Nice crunchy crust, may be just a little too thick for someone's liking. The crumb is a nice golden hue color, without big holes, just what you need for a good sandwich. The taste and aroma are 10/10. I brought some home to NY. It was met with appreciation and praise. So I definitely recommend stopping by and trying the Poilane bread. I hope I can be back one day.

Comfy, warm and fresh. Eventhough it can get a little crowded in the small bakery, the ambiance is super warm and friendly and the service is very helpful and caring. Definitely recommend a visit to this well known famous Parisienne bakery. Such history and an amazing story behind it. Great products with their main loaf have the signature ‘P’ logo cut into it. The bakery offers a beautiful display of bread and viennoiseries, with options like filled baguettes and salads. Customers have praised the crispy and airy texture of the baguettes purchased shortly after opening. While some found certain pastries to be less flavorful than expected, others raved about the fantastic quality of items like the pain au chocolat.

I rarely write reviews, but those were the best eclairs and strawberry & custard tartlets I’ve ever eaten, my son liked them too and he nearly never eats sweet pastry at all. The service was exceptional, young man in glasses received our order, packed it very well and offered forks and napkins and everything we needed for our takeaway treat, he was really friendly and helpful as well as his other colleague at the cashier. Just a friendly gesture, some human attitude - that was amazing.

I got a raspberry cake on 1 Aug 2025, and when I opened it in less than an hour, I found that all the raspberries on top were moldy. Really disappointing for a slice that costs around €5. If you’re getting takeout, make sure to check it first. That said, the staff were friendly.

Bought two baguettes and an oatmeal cookie. Very well prepared and we ate well. Multiple staff attending, efficient service in a busy environment. Pleased to have visited. Top tip 1: take a minute to see the entire counter and what you want before joining the queue at the door. Alot of choice there and you don't want to hold up others with indecision, which is for everyone annoying. Top tip 2: Take 30 minutes and walk to the Eiffel tower and picnic on the grass.

2025: Took away a croissant au beurre for comparison with other places. It was crispy on the outside with a very beautiful honeycomb structure and non-greasy feel. 2024: Beautiful display of bread and viennoiseries. Although very attractive the fresh pear pastry (which looked like a chausson au pommes cousin) was less flavorful than expected. The almond viennoiserie could have also had more almond flavor but the pastry dough was tasty. (The chocolate inside the pastry was a surprise). Baguette purchased 1 hour from opening was very crispy on the outside and airy inside.

Stopped in here every morning for fresh bread while we stayed in Paris. Our apartment was 20 feet around the corner. Staff was always helpful as I know maybe six words in French. My visit to this establishment began with rude staff and ended with stale pastries. If you don't speak French don't bother visiting this place because if they have to speak to you in English it offends them. Also the pastries tasted several days old so I wished I had walked out before buying anything like I had considered at the time. Based on the reviews of this place this seems to be a recurring problem. To this business I would say try fixing your staff/product and stop apologizing for them in these reviews. Response to Owner's Reply: As I stated in my original review, your staff can speak English so that is not the issue, and the picture I took of your business and posted in my review means I clearly have the right business. The main issue was the tall young lady that we have seemed to have bothered greatly by simply trying to order pastries. In regards to reading past reviews, I'll copy and paste some of them below for you to read: 1. I’m super upset with my recent visit. I still love their pastries, but the cashier today was rude and treated me like I’m a liar. I paid her a total of €15 for some pastries that costed a total of €8.50. She only returned me €1.50. I had to ask fellow customer to explain to her that she short changed me. My French isn’t good but I’m also a regular customer. She just said she has paid me everything. The customers felt bad for me and said sorry that they couldn’t help me more. The cashier simply didn’t bother to check the register or to understand her mistake. if she needs to take that charge, go ahead but she needs to know she is wrong! I hope the owners will look into this incident as it is definitely a matter of trust to your regular customer. I am only asking for fairness! 2. The staff was boxing up pastries for a customer while my son and I were next in line. She moved to the cash register area and began to wait on new walk-in clients ordering breads. There were four in that queue but two staff. We stood near the pastry case then walked out. Guess not speaking French or being Asian was a problem for her. Had to explain to my teenage son about discrimination by shop girls. 3. Went to the store at 7am today for some bakery goods and was shocked that after i told the staff member i could not speak French very well, both she and another customer just started laughing at me and mocking me in French. Glad there are many other options in Paris that provide friendly customer service to all. 4. I hated this place. I’ve yet to see a more disrespectful guy as the one who “assisted me here”. Worst attention ever. 5. An extremely unpleasant woman at the checkout Which blows because after asking for sandwich bread I would like cakes. She takes the next customers at random and when a young woman points out that she was there before, this young woman is explained that this is how it is and that she just has to be patient! If their breads, pastries and pastries were still delicious, well that’s really not the case! Fortunately, there are plenty of friendly traders who make delicious products in the neighborhood. Miserable excuse for a croissant. Undercooked and soggy. Folded over my hand. Ate two bites and threw out the bag. All four croissant were the same. I went to another boulangerie nearby, who’s croissant is pictured on the left. Soggy mess from Les gourmandises d’Eiffel on the right. Avoid at all costs! Shame on you for selling this to customers.

Some of the greatest pastries I’ve had. Took home 4 boxes of macarons and swung by all the time on our vacation. The workers are so nice and they play great music. They are so incredibly friendly and bared with me when I was asking questions and choosing all my goodies. Highly recommend!

Delicious breads and pastries. We got a croissant and a pain au chocolat as we passed by and both were so good that we later came back and got two ham and cheese sandwiches. That’s our dinner now. So simple but so good!

We accidentally stumbled on this place as we walked from our hotel to the Eiffel Tower. We got 5 different desserts and shared a bite of each. The staff was patient with our lack of French and desire to learn correct pronunciation. Highly recommend!

We got three macarons, and honestly, they were even better than the ones from Ladurée! The passion fruit flavor was my absolute favorite. I’ll definitely come back here next time I’m in Paris. The gentleman at the counter was also very friendly and welcoming! 💕

No place to sit but the almond croissant was probably the best I’ve ever had. It’s crunchy and flakey in the outside but soft and sweet on the inside. The burnt sugar at the bottom tastes like caramel adding both flavor and texture. But it was so sweet I ate it in three sittings lol

Patisserie
Aux Merveilleux de Fred is a French patisserie renowned for its signature creation, the Merveilleux. This delightful dessert features a meringue dome filled with luscious chocolate whipped cream and adorned with dark chocolate shavings. Visitors can observe skilled bakers crafting these treats on-site. In addition to the Merveilleux, the bakery offers freshly baked cramiques, brioches infused with chocolate chips.
This is an incredible bakery offering unique and delicious treats at excellent, affordable prices. The highlight of the place is the brioche, especially the chocolate brioche. If you’re lucky enough to get it fresh and warm straight from the oven, it’s an unforgettable experience.

Omg. We ran into this place by pure accident after lunch. We were stuffed from lunch, we even had dessert, but we had a third stomach to wolf down the treats from this place. What a gem with great chocolate chip brioche and meringue fluffy bite sized dessert. We are still dreaming of this and will go back tomorrow for breakfast to eat on the street. I will post more pictures tomorrow. We devoured the food before taking pictures.
Jeanne Y — Google review
Visited this place twice during my stay in Paris. I tried the meringue chocolate and it was the perfect dessert, totally enjoyable. Second time tried the chocolate bread which they call "Cranique" I think or something close and this is a great pastry with moist tasty chocolates. They have also with raisins. It's very big though and can be easily shared between two persons. They have multiple branches across Paris, so check which is within your itinerary and go for it.
Safaa T — Google review
A truly great bakery experience! One of the highlights is being able to watch the team prepare the fresh brioches right in front of you — it adds a special touch to the visit. Whatever you do, don’t miss the large sugar brioche while it’s still warm — it’s an absolute WOW. Soft, slightly crisp on the outside, and perfectly sweet. Pure heaven. A must-visit spot for pastry lovers in Paris!
Matan S — Google review
We were walking past and smelled the amazing brioche being baked. We had never tried a merveilleux before so we got their classic chocolate flavor. It was delicious! They are so pretty and taste wonderful. The staff was also nice and helpful to us. Definitely recommend!

Must-have meringue desserts! They are light, airy and flavorful! It was a unique dessert that is perfectly and expertly executed. Beautiful shop with a helpful staff.

During our recent travels in Europe, we passed by countless bakeries—but none had an aroma quite like this one. The irresistible smell just pulled us in. We decided to share a raisin brioche, and after the first bite, there was no turning back! It would have been perfect with a cup of coffee, but I couldn’t wait—I started eating it the moment we stepped outside!

Mamiche is a renowned traditional bakery located in SoPi and the 10th arrondissement of Paris. The bakery is famous for its artisanal breads, cookies, pastries, and sandwiches. It's known for its long lines where customers eagerly wait to get their hands on shiny brioche buns, chocolate-scented babka, and pillowy croissants.
We have tried the almond croissant and the cookie, which was really tasty. But when we went there for especially trying their famous “babka”, they said the Owen was broken so going to update my review once I taste it; stay tuned! But, anyways, it’s a nice bakery🥰

This bakery is definitely worth the hype it gets! There is always a queue but the service is very fast so it’s worth the wait. The pain au chocolat and the chocolate filled donut were the highlights. The only con is the pastries weren’t warm so therefore it’s a 4/5. But it’s a great place to start your trip in Paris 😍 I didn’t get the chance to try the sandwiches but they looked amazing too. Amazing prices as well, we paid €11 for 4 pastries!
Abigail X — Google review
One of my favorite boulangeries in Paris! Their brioche is truly some of the best I’ve had ,and the choux à la vanille, which is exceptional. And the beignets au chocolat? Absolutely my favorite. A must-visit for pastry lovers!

Everything is… wow… so good in this bakery. Excellent service, the personnel is friendly and organized. The pastries are incredible, the sandwiches are delicious. This is not so pricey and they even sell the famous French baguette for one euro (try and find that anywhere in Paris). The only drawback is that they have become so famous that you have sometimes tip make a long line to get a treat.

This is one of the best boulangerie in Paris! The pastries are great! Tries many of those: the cream filled pastry, the ham and cheese sandwich, banka. Specifically- the vanilla cream filled pastry is by far one of the best (and in great price!). Must try!

A Parisian landmark that specializes in delicious and authentic baguettes, Au Levain d'Antan is also well-known for its stellar pastries and sandwiches. This boulangerie has a beautiful cobalt blue facade, making it easy to spot. The bakery is a great stop if you're in the Montmartre neighborhood, and the quality of the baguettes is unmatched.
I work in the area and very often go there during my lunch breaks. Everything is always very nice and tasty, and they offer a nicely varied selection of pastries, as well as sandwichs and offer foods. Price wise, they are not at all expensive, especially considered the area they are located it at. The ladies serving are always very nice, very friendly and welcome as well. I deeply recommend

This bakery felt very authentic - we were the only people there that were not locals. The two women behind the counter did not speak fluent English with us, and my French is horrible, but we managed. My daughter in law enjoyed the most amazing croissant of our trip, and I an amazing cappuccino. She asked if I wanted sugar and made it just to perfection! 10/10 and great price too!

Finally, a croissant that is perfectly laminated and airy, and achieves the delicate balance of savory/sweet. I knew it would be legit because it’s an establishment that still prefers for you to pay cash! My only regret is that I discovered it on my last day in Paris. *sigh*

We went to Paris in August. Another bakery was on my list of places to try during our day in Montmartre, but it was closed, and we stumbled upon this bakery. I found which was by far my favorite croissant I had during our entire trip! I didn't even remember the name of the shop, but remembered the exact location and searched it up on Google maps so that I can go back and visit it over and over again on my next trip to Paris. The people were friendly and didn't mind when my mom took a bit of extra time attempting to order in French. We sat on the bench close to the little park, enjoying our croissants and baguettes while we people watched. The whole experience left a positive, memorable, lasting impression ❤️.

Small place, a lot of variety, fresh spread, worth the visit for some delicious treats. Not too expensive.
Aditya S — Google review
We wandered into this cozy boulangerie in Montmartre, drawn by the warm aroma of freshly baked bread, and it didn’t disappoint! The baguettes were everything we’d hoped for—deliciously crusty on the outside with a perfect, airy texture inside. We couldn’t resist trying the tartelette mirabelle, and it was a standout! Just the right amount of sweetness and a perfectly crumbly crust that melted in the mouth, making each bite pure bliss. The staff were incredibly welcoming and patient, happily guiding us through their wonderful selection of pastries and helping us decide. It felt like they genuinely cared that we chose something we’d love, which made the experience extra special. If you’re exploring Montmartre, stopping here is a must—it’s the kind of place that leaves you wanting to come back for more!

Came here to try their famous baguette. Ordered an oat baguette and a croissant. There was a bit of a wait in the morning, as the two cashiers were quite busy. The baguette with the added ingredients was very tasty — I just wish I had gotten it warm so the outside would be crispier, though the inside was very soft and enjoyable.

Found this pastry shop across from our hotel. Our favorite was the pistachio stuffed one and their croissants are amazing. They offer inside and outside seating but inside seating is very limited. They're fresh-squeezed orange juice was great as well.

This cozy café quickly became one of our favorite spots—we found ourselves coming back multiple times during our stay. The food was consistently delicious, with fresh ingredients and great attention to flavor. Their coffee was some of the best we had, perfectly brewed every time. On top of that, the staff were always kind and welcoming, making the experience feel personal and relaxed. Whether it was a quick morning stop or a slower afternoon break, this place always hit the spot.

The cashier on duty on 1/8 around 15:30 showed a lack of customer service. She didn’t ask if I needed a receipt and was unwilling to print one when requested. I'm giving 2 stars only because of the other staff member who served me the bread—she clearly understands how to treat a customer. Keep up the good work!

La Parisienne is a stylish restaurant and craft microbrewery founded by Jean Barthele Chancel in 2014. The place offers a variety of burgers, hot dogs, fries, cocktails, and shisha in a trendy setting. Despite being a bit noisy at times, it's recommended for those looking to have fun with friends. Visitors praise the delicious food including fried brussels sprouts and empanadas as well as the incredible sangria.

Nestled in the heart of Paris, Chez Julien is a charming bistro with a chic and relaxed setting, offering an elevated dining experience. The restaurant boasts stylish decor and outdoor seating, making it an ideal spot for enjoying traditional brunch or a delightful meal. With a menu featuring soft-boiled eggs, toasted baguettes, croissants topped with cheese, salmon and avocado, as well as classics like smoked salmon and bacon, guests can savor the flavors of Parisian cuisine.
We made a reservation and were sat down immediately. The staff was very nice. We started with the avocado with king crab meat and prawns which we loved. Then my husband and I split the chicken and it was absolutely delicious - plus our server showed us the fully cooked chicken before taking it away again to cut and plate it for us. We finished off with the creme brûlée which is definitely worth trying! Excellent experience.
Roxanne W — Google review
Thank you for a platform to give you my honest review. We are in Paris for our first time. My husband and I were looking forward to a very lovely evening with you. Upon entering, we were seated in an area where we were the only patrons and sat next door window that had another lovely couple directly on the other side of the window. We felt we were intruding on their time and they clearly felt we were intruding on theirs. We asked to be relocated. We then watched the hostess attempt to see the next five groups, and each one also asked we relocated as they were being offered would be perceived as the worst tables. A waitress which was very welcoming quickly took our orders. Starters arrived, and this is when my disappointment set in again. I am attaching photos of the salad I was presented. In a restaurant of your caliber, I would think you would agree this is unacceptable. The waitress clearly saw the inedible lettuce and said nothing. Upon opening a bottle of wine, she did a very insincere checking of the bottle quickly to pour and never touch the bottle again. Having to attend our own bottle of wine and waters was a surprise. If fact the only time she came but was to clear. My husband enjoyed his lamb while I found my meat to be very dry. I am sure that this review does not bring joy this Monday morning, but with a caliber of your lovely restaurant and as a small business owner myself, I would want to know. I am wanting to attach a photo of sad salad. Will s Regards Sue.

We had been told about Chez Julian and booked for dinner. We were not disappointed. Everything was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, the decor sublime and atmosphere perfect. The food was well presented, such a special dinner. We shared the starter of avocado, crab & prawns, stunning. Mains - duck & tuna tartare, both very tasteful. Desserts were wonderful - rice pudding & strawberries - a great combo and sorbets, beautifully presented and sharp flavours. If you chose Chez Julian you will eat well.

An unforgettable experience at Chez Julien. The food is exquisite and gastronomic, and the magret de canard was outstanding. The restaurant dates back to the 18th century when it was a bakery, now transformed into a charming and elegant place. The staff are warm, smiling, and speak several languages, which makes you feel at home, almost like sitting in a small Versailles salon.

Chez Julien is the definition of Parisian charm — elegant, intimate, and perfectly situated by the Seine. The ambiance is timeless, with a beautiful terrace and a view that captures the soul of Paris. The food is refined and flavorful, each dish prepared with care and presented beautifully. The service is warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. Whether for a romantic dinner or a leisurely lunch, Chez Julien offers a true taste of Paris — sophisticated yet relaxed, and consistently memorable.

We had the most wonderful time! The food was to die for and Luna was the most wonderful waitress. She had entertained our silly questions as well helped us with our French. As a foreigner, I cannot recommend this place enough. A hidden gem with kind people and amazing food.

We stayed nearby and, after reading the glowing reviews, I had to check it out — and I’m so glad I did! Locals really do know best. My dude, Paris is hit or miss for food. Some of the pastries are amazing, some of the places are great. Flip of a coin if the people are nice. However, this is a place to go check out. They are kind French people, with amazing pastries. I mean the chocolate croissants, bear claws, and selection is top notch. This place is def out of the way, in a small alleyway, but worth going to for sure. We went on August 4th, 2024 and it was the best stop before going to explore the city of Paris. Huge fan everyone.

I have eaten several croissants in Paris this one was by far my favourite so crispy fresh and buttery everything you would ask for! Also one with the nutella was good whole pieces of nut kind of made it hard to eat I would prefer it as smaller chunks of nut still good regardless.

Pâtisserie Avenir Terroir is an absolute gem in Paris — a place where craft, terroir, and artistry come together in the most delicious way. Every creation feels like a story told through flavor, with ingredients that are thoughtfully sourced and elevated with impeccable technique. The pastries strike that rare balance: refined yet comforting, inventive yet grounded in tradition. You can truly taste the respect for terroir in each bite — whether it’s a perfectly layered tart with seasonal fruits, a delicate choux that melts on the tongue, or a viennoiserie so fragrant and buttery it feels almost poetic. What sets Avenir Terroir apart is not just the skill, but the philosophy — a commitment to letting the land, the farmers, and the seasons shine through in pastry form. It’s not simply indulgence; it’s a celebration of heritage and craftsmanship. This is a patisserie that goes beyond sweetness — it offers a memorable experience of place, culture, and passion. A must-visit for anyone who believes desserts can be as soulful as they are beautiful

It's usually hard to a true understanding of a location after just a single visit, but at the same time few things beat a good first impression! And the impression was truly good. The service was excellent, very polite and friendly staff. The range of delicious looking goods was impressive and luckily it wasn't just for show, they were delicious. I went there specifically to try the croissants. Unfortunately I came at an unfortunate time as they were not fresh from the oven, but despite that even they were delicious and buttery. Definitely something that would draw one back. Remember the N1 rule of viennoiserie - have it fresh! As for the rest, the location is quite central yet secluded enough so as not to be overcrowded. The small street itself doesn't provide much esthetic pleasure, and the boulangerie is definitely its main site I would say. The one problem is that this is a bakery, not a cafe, so if you are expecting to have a relaxing cup of coffee at a comfortable table this is not the place. But, if you are going to get some croissants for breakfast, this is the place for you!

So far during my one and a half week stay in Paris, I’ve found that the service has been quite friendly, defying the negative stereotypes often associated with Parisian restaurants and cafes. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case for me today at Ten Belles Bread. So far I’ve only tried their espresso, and it was pretty good, but I have to say that the young lady behind the cash had a real hard time cracking a smile. Nevertheless, I will give the place a second chance and return to try their sandwiches, which looked great.
Jeremiah H — Google review
Grand café crème was very good. It’s 5 euros for a big cup of coffee and there’s two shots of espresso. It satisfied me cause I get annoyed when the coffee is too small and too milky. Coffee milk ratio was good, latte art also on point. There’s a large seating area both inside and outside. I think it’s a good place especially when you realize that most of the time the specialty cafes in paris have a really small seating area.

Cozy spot with great coffee and tasty food. Perfect place to work for a few hours, and the staff are always super friendly and welcoming. One of those cafés you just keep coming back to
Mohamed S — Google review
My review is only about the new model. They now offer table service with a much more expensive menu. It’s totally ruined the place. I used to love to come here and get a light bite to eat when in a rush or to casually order a sandwich then scone and tea. The new menu is expensive and makes one order a lot of food. The menu isn’t the same as the counter. There is now nowhere to order food from the counter and sit down. I used to come here 2-3 times a week when in Paris. Now I’ll be going elsewhere. I want to note that the people who work there are nice. This isn’t about them. It’s about the model. For brunch, I’d go to Cafe Mericourt. For better blend of coffee and lunch, I’d go Back in Black. For great coffee, I’d go to Beans on Fire or Saint Barista. For an easy snack and coffee, I’d go to Cafe Napoli.

Excellent bread! We came here while staying in an Airbnb down the road. We wanted to find some fresh bread and came across Ten Belles. This has been one of the best sourdough loaves I have ever had. I received a gift for my son an easter egg shaped chocolate structure from la maison du chocolat . It came in a box to display . The size is medium which is ideal for a three year old to enjoy . Taste is delicious not too sweet to have and it gets break easily to eat it in small bites . The package is lovely and very practical to see through. Recommended for a gift to give away .

Tapisserie - Charonne is a pastry shop with two locations, one in the 11th and another on the Left Bank near the Eiffel Tower. The original spot offers grab-and-go options, while the one near the Eiffel Tower has a terrace and tea salon for proper seating.
The flan a la vanille & choux a la flouve were perfectly suited to my taste! The flan was creamy with a hint of sweetness and vanilla aroma. The choux cream was similar and not to sweet while the choux had a cinnamon (I think?) flavor. I’m already dying to go back and will be sad when I leave Paris.

Simply delicious. You will find in this cute little boutique, great creative tasty pastries changing regularly. The staff is nice. Limited seating available in summer to enjoy a coffee with your pastry.
Charlotte P — Google review
this is without a doubt the best place to find a perfect pastry - maybe in the world? no seating but a nice park to sit by the church nearby. service is good. you can watch the bakers make the pastries which is cool. if bakeries are religion to you, this is your mecca. had a holy experience with an apricot tart. kind of on the expensive side tho. rightly so, seems like they use high quality ingredients.

The strawberry tart was so refreshing and delicious. Choux (no photo) was great, too. The staff member at the counter was friendly and patient with my lack of French. Merci!

Au Paradis du Gourmand, located in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, gained recognition when its baker, Ridha Khadher, won the prestigious Best Baguette in Paris competition. The bakery is a bit off the beaten path but definitely worth a visit. Their palmier pastries are particularly recommended for their buttery and delicious flavor. Visitors have praised the bakery for its fresh and tasty baguettes that remain delicious even hours after purchase.
Delicious. Apparently also provided baguette to Elysée Palace.
Kemal C — Google review
When we lived in France, my husband accidentally dropped in this bakery on the way home to buy a baguette. It was the most delicious baguette I've ever had, fresh and tasty even hours after it was bought (and we tried a lot of baguettes in 7 years living there). After that we visited this bakery many times. I was in love with their vienosseries with pistachios, they would dissapear early in the morning! Always kind and polite, all we had was always fresh. For those who eat halal, I think the lady working there said all is halal as well (they had some nice sandwiches)
N U — Google review
I came here after reading that they were awarded the best baguette in 2013. It might be out of the way for some, in the 14th arrondissement, but it was close to my Airbnb. I got a half baguette the first time I went to try it out, and it was some of the best bread I have ever had in my life. I wish we had bread as good as this in the states. I returned a second day to get 4 baguettes for me and my friends so that we could make some sandwiches for the day.

Miss Banh Mi is a charming Vietnamese eatery adorned with vibrant flowers and Formica tables, where patrons eagerly line up for their gourmet banh mi sandwiches. While pricier than the traditional version, the first bite dispels any doubts as it features high-quality ingredients such as Eric Kayser bread, homemade soya mayonnaise, and a choice of fillings including prime beef marinated in sake and Phu Quoc pepper.
Some of the best bahn mi I've ever had. I've come back at least 4 times in less than 3 weeks. The vegan option with tofu is outstanding.

Excellent beef Banh mi with tons of flavor and kick. Did take away which is fast and efficient. Definitely a great gem I. The neighborhood.
Shayan S — Google review
This is the best Banh Mi I have ever had in my life. Perfectly cooked steak with the ability to customize how spicy it is. They also have other types of bahn mis and a good drink selection. I enjoyed this place so much that I tried to go multiple times during my trip.
Gene C — Google review
The restaurant is easy to find and beautiful from outside. We ordered both Banh Mi and Rice Bowl, they were all great. As a born Vietnamese, I found the banh mi here authentic and delicious. The staff was super nice to us as well, they customize the food and drinks for our preferences and help us with the ordering since the menu was in French. The only thing didn't like was the menu, it was confusing to understand what are the options and price.
Brian L — Google review
Nice little spot for a quick, light bite. If you've had Banh mi from Vietnam then do not expect these to be the same. Not in a bad way, but it has it's own touch and character when it comes to taste. You have the option to choose chicken, beef or veggie (egg plant and tofu). I went for the chicken and it does taste pretty good - nice flavors with the sauce, pate and spice. The baguette is definitely more of a French bread rather than the soft crusty one that you get from Vietnam. Having said that, it is still a pretty good banh mi and probably better than the ones ive had from London. If youre around Paris definitely drop by.
I K — Google review
OMG I cannot believe Ive eaten such a tasty and delicious banh mí ... as good and generous as those Ive tasted in Vietnam !!

Amazing bread, but unfortunately too much sauce and felt we were a bother more than welcomed guests.

I have eaten many banh mi sandwiches in the States. I love the ingredients used for the chicken and beef here. Great flavors. A bit pricier than I would expect, but worth it. I see why they are called the best in Paris. (I do need to seek others to be sure though) 😉

Le Grenier à Pain Italie is a charming bakery located in a convenient area. The prices are on the higher side, but the friendly staff and delicious pastries make it worth a visit. Their baguettes come in different varieties, such as Baguette paysanne and Baguette retro, each with its unique appearance and texture. Visitors can enjoy breakfast bread here every morning during their stay in the area.
As soon as I touched down in Paris, this was my first culinary stop—and what an extraordinary choice it turned out to be. The lady who served me was the embodiment of grace and warmth, making me feel instantly at ease. I opted for a vegetarian sandwich and an éclair, and with each bite, I felt as if I were savoring a masterpiece crafted by culinary artists. The flavors were so exquisite that they seemed to whisper the very essence of Parisian charm. It’s no wonder Paris holds its reputation as the pinnacle of pastry perfection. From the very first taste, my visit to the city began not just on a high note but at a breathtaking summit. A heartfelt thank you to this remarkable gem for turning my first meal in Paris into an unforgettable memory.

I stepped by this bakery in the morning, and I took a sandwich. It was very good, the baguette was still warm and crispy.
Arkadiusz J — Google review
Prices are pretty high but it's a cute spot in a good location with friendly workers... I got a baguette paysanne €1.20 and a kouing amman €1.50 they were both very good. Nothing mind-blowing but great flavors and texture. The had a nice choice of baguettes: Baguette paysanne €1.20 Baguette rétro €1.20 Pain Paysanne €2.40 The rétro looked a bit more shiny and was not dusted with flour, the paysanne was dusted with flour for a more rustic appearance and the pain is bigger, probably 400g. Baguette paysanne had the classic crunch and chew you look for in a baguette, the flavor was perfect and pure, it's a great example of a French baguette but nothing inventive or distinguished. The kouing Amman is a great croissant-style pastry but baked with honey for a crunchier and sweeter mouth feel, similar to a classic palmier but thicker and chewier. Great flavor, love the way the layers fall apart and rip in your mouth. Great flavor so I can assume quality ingredients. I toasted mine and ripped it apart a bit to enhance texture.

I got a croissant and took it home.... For my happiness I got an extra of protein aka A MOSQUITO I did not pay for it so thanks for the service... I will not say it was the worst croissant I ate, but the mosquito definitely shocked me and ruined it. Just be more careful, accidents happen... Don't put extras if the client doesn't want <3 Still good luck!

Staff wasn't very friendly and the croissants were mediocre. However, their pear pistachio tarte is to die for. So delicious and not too sweet. Would come here again just to order that.
Hannah D — Google review
Tasted like an American mass produced croissant. Kinda unacceptable for such a classic French bread.

If you're looking for a fantastic place for a croissant, this is the place for you. The croissant was the best out of all I ordered. It was light and delicate and well worth the money. However, the rest of my order was dissapointing. The baguette was a little too dry and the citrus tart was very strong.

La Cuisine Paris is a renowned cooking school that offers various culinary experiences in the heart of the city. One of their popular events is the Fete du Pain, a festival celebrating bread where visitors can enjoy workshops and demonstrations by skilled bakers. The school also provides an introductory course and macaron masterclass, allowing participants to learn from qualified French pastry chefs.
My friend and I did a cooking class and it was fabulous. One of the highlights of our trip. We started getting some ingredients in Le Marais before heading back to their kitchen perfectly located on the Seine. We made a delicious goat cheese salad, duck breast and softened pear dessert. Everyone in the class contributed and was so lovely to talk to. I would love to go back and take a baking class or any other class they offer. Everything was delicious.

Took the baguette class, where we learned that as well as Fougasse (a pizza-like thin bread). Grace, our instructor, was awesome, with a ton of jokes and stories. Learned a bunch of techniques such as her methods of kneading dough (which were a lot of fun), and everything actually turned out great! Just a warning not to plan dinner after, as you are going to go home with a ton of bread!
Jgerhardstein — Google review
There are simply no words to express my experience at La Cuisine. From the moment I arrived early, the two ladies at the front desk were so gracious and welcoming, very conversational, they were lovely. And Audrey, our chef, she was simply amazing. If you’re considering any classes in Paris, look no further, this is absolutely the most wonderful place You can attend. We went to several, and this one, really stands out. I learned things I did not know, tips and tricks, and it was just an amazing overall experience. You will never regret taking a class or classes here.
R V — Google review
From the moment we walked through the door, the staff at La Cuisine Paris were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The front desk team were chatty and immediately put us at ease before our class. We took the French Pâtisserie class with Chef Naima, who was a fantastic teacher. She was friendly, involved everyone in the class, and made the experience truly enjoyable. We made some absolutely delicious pastries, and it was a relief to be in the air-conditioned kitchen in the middle of a heatwave! On our way out, the staff were so helpful, happily recommending bakeries we had to try and providing amazing suggestions for a farewell dinner on our last night in Paris. This was a first-class experience from start to finish, and I would happily recommend it to anyone.

The croissant-making class with Mathieu was a highlight of my trip! The class size was perfect, Mathieu was personable, funny, and made everyone feel at ease. It was hands-on, beginner-friendly, and we all left with delicious pastries, new skills, and great memories. Highly recommend!

I’ve taken 3 in person classes and 1 online class with La Cuisine and they’ve all been outstanding! I would highly recommend the market classes — they’ve been my favorite and you get a chance to shop in the local markets before cooking a beautiful, seasonal meal. The chefs are all highly trained and skilled (I’ve gotten to work with 2 different chefs, Cyril and Geoffroi) and they answered all my questions kindly and expertly. If you’re an English speaker and a little nervous to take a class entirely in French this is a perfect choice!
Sarah G — Google review
This was the first cooking class I ever did and it absolutely delivered. When you meet the group you meet directly across from the market and are immediately brought to the center of it all to really take in the sights, the people and the buzz of the market. As a group you vote on what you want to cook and eat with any dietary restrictions being factored for. Once the decision is made on what is going to be made as a group you go to each stall to get bread, vegetables, meat (or fish) and of course, cheese! The class happens in a gorgeous little house with views overlooking the Seine, when you arrive there is coffee and tea as they wash up the vegetables and get everything set up. During the class the chef did an incredible job of setting everyone up in little groups to get things done from chopping to prepping sauce to cooking which made everyone feel very involved in the meal and incredibly proud of our end result. It was a small group of 8 which meant we could have a really nice conversation about our trips to Paris and the wonderful food others had tried or were going to try on their trip. If you are a solo traveler I couldn’t recommend this enough to get to meet new people and have a really lovely conversation with other travelers who love food! Traveling as a couple who love to cook together and meet new people this is also a must do!

A Croissant Dream Come True at La Cuisine Paris! As a dedicated pastry enthusiast, my recent trip to Paris wouldn't have been complete without a visit to La Cuisine Paris. I first stumbled upon this gem while reading "The French Ingredient" and instantly knew it was where I needed to be to learn the art of the croissant. My expectations were high, and I'm thrilled to say they were exceeded in every way! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was met with the most genuinely friendly and welcoming staff. While waiting for the class to begin, I had the pleasure of chatting with my fellow "students," sharing our excitement for the buttery delights to come. But the biggest surprise, and an absolute highlight, was getting to meet Jane herself! She is every bit as lovely as her reputation suggests, and it was truly inspiring to see the wonderful business she's built, dedicated to teaching visitors the secrets behind Paris's most beloved pastries and dishes. The croissant and pastry making class itself was an incredible experience. I learned so much, soaking up every tip and technique shared by our instructor. I'm confident that these newfound skills will significantly improve my croissant-making attempts back in the States. Beyond the invaluable culinary education, I had a truly wonderful time, connecting with new people who shared my passion for food. And, of course, meeting the visionary woman who started it all was the icing on the cake! I wholeheartedly recommend La Cuisine Paris to any croissant lover eager to learn how to recreate these delicious treats at home. It's more than just a cooking class; it's an immersive and delightful Parisian experience.

This boulangerie has received prestigious awards for its outstanding pain parisienne, which boasts a clean and classic taste with impeccable texture. Additionally, visitors can indulge in delicious sweets such as the coffee-bean shaped cake and raspberry tart.
We stayed at a nearby hotel and visited this bakery a few times during our stay. It’s a great little spot with a nice selection of baguettes (however, I especially loved the olive bread)! The service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The only disappointment was that they’re closed on weekends.

Stopped in for a snack in theater noon to take to the park. Had a baguette because it was pulled directly out of the oven. I also grabbed an apple pie and a pain au chocolat. The baguette was as good as fresh bread can be! It was nice. But the other baked goods were not really good in comparison to other bakeries in the city.

Boulangerie Maison M’Seddi is a delightful little place, located a half block across the street from our hotel on Rue de Raspail, near the corner of Blvd Montparnasse. We were greeted each morning by Fatima as she helped us with our choices. While they didn’t have everything ready in the cases each one of the four mornings we stopped by, they did have our favorites--quiche Lorraine and pain au chocolat. Along with a nice cup of Café Americano, we started off our day thoroughly satiated as we sipped and ate while waiting at the Metro bus stop on the same block. We also bought one of their award-winning baguettes and a chocolate brownie-type of deliciousness to enjoy later one day. Over 11 days in Paris, this is the only place we visited 4 times!

Visited at 7:30 in the morning when the store is opened. Several people were there. First of all, baguettes were excellent. Their flavor and texture were better than what I expected. The sweets were also delicious. We had coffee-bean shaped cake and raspberry tart. Just one thing. As for croissant, I could name more than some that offer better ones. I would definitely repeat next time I visit Paris.

I had the Tartlette au citron meringue and have a mixed opinion of it. The citron part was wonderfully - very lemony and a wonderful texture, but I wasn’t too impressed with the meringue. It had little flavour and was a bit dried out on the outside despite my eating it only 15 minutes after purchasing it. I found the person who boxed it for me very friendly but the one who rang it up less so (she had to open the box and verify what I had bought even though I told her what it was and she didn’t seem to be checking other people’s items).

It’s nice local place for Baguettes, Croissants and coffee. For those Parisians that bicker over the flakiness of the croissants and the texture of the baguettes please give it a rest. After sitting in my backpack for 10 hours my second croissant tasted 100 times better than anything I’ve had in NYC where I live. Parisians, just enjoy what you have lol.
