Au Pied de Cochon is a relaxed brasserie located in the Les Halles area of Paris, known for its 24-hour service, making it a rarity in the city. The restaurant offers a variety of local dishes and charcuterie boards, along with draft beer and cocktails. Its menu includes French onion soup, oysters, pigs trotter, and other festive twists.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are attentive and friendly, which made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent — the onion soup, steak, and oystes were especially delicious and memorable. The frog legs were a bit dry and could have used more seasoning, but that was a minor detail compared to the overall quality of the meal. We truly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

We had amazing food here. Found this place without plan or reservation, we actually stopped because we found something husband wanted to eat, frog legs. Food was brilliant, frog legs were a star of the meal. I had amazing pasta dish, ravioli Dauphine . We also tried 14hrs cooked ribs and some French chicken dish. I had wonderful and refreshing spritz Italicus. We even had a small sweet treat at the end of our meal. We didn't had space in our stomach for a dessert but we had to try that meringue bites we got. Very good restaurant with authentic French atmosphere.
Aleksandra — Google review
Had a great time here. 5 of us have ordered variety of mains plus escargo and flog legs for entree. Very pretty atmosphere and our waiter was fantastic. He took photos of us in the end and gave lots of laughs! The signature desert (pig meringue) was so cute. We had a great time in this French bistro 🇫🇷✨👍.

While several people from my office were on business trip in Paris France, we had the most wonderful and amazing dinner at this fantastic restaurant. From the moment our large group arrived, we were treated in the most respectful and caring fashion. We were brought to their bar where we were all served some of the most amazing cocktails we have ever had. When we were finally seated on the outdoor patio for dinner, it was the most perfect setting. Our professional waiter was over the top amazing. And without disrespecting anyone, all of the staff at this restaurant were fantastic. We all had perhaps the best dinner we had during our entire business trip and if I am ever back in Paris, I will be sure to make a reservation and visit this fantastic restaurant once again. Thank you to everyone at Au Pied de Cochon for making our trip and even more wonderful experience for our group from Canada. Paul Calgary, Canada 🇨🇦

Made a reservation and was seated quickly. Ordered the French onion soup and fresh clams as an entree. The soup was great but the fresh clams were not so fresh. I mentioned it to our waiter and he dismissed my comments. The rest of our meal was mediocre, the gnocchi felt heavy but the fish was good. Not sure I need to come back next time unless it’s specifically for the soup.

Old school Paris. Really cute vibe. Service wasn’t great though we did have a second server who was very helpful once abandoned by our original waiter. Food was average sadly. Profiteroles were a highlight as well as the cute piggy meringues. Didn’t live up to the hype. We weren’t given bread until we asked and table next to us given it straight away with lovely butter. We got no butter either. Also we were charged for two items we didn’t have but only realised once we got back to our apartment.

We wanted some French onion soup, and this place popped up as the top rated place! It was so delicious. We got the escargo, French onion soup, halibut, goat cheese ravioli, and steak, which came with the most amazing fries. We even went back for dinner that same night. The burrata and foie gras were decadent. We will be coming back!!

This restaurant was a great place to eat. They have a diverse menu, excellent service and a delightful Parisian atmosphere. Their pricing is a bit on the high side, but we'll worth it. They have a fun, whimsical "pig" theme - they are everywhere!

Brasserie
French restaurant
Bouillon Pigalle is a popular casual bistro in Paris, offering traditional French dishes and desserts along with house wines by the glass. The setting is charming, modern, and cozy with two floors and a balcony terrace.
Foods are good and inexpensive. Portion are big. I tried most of my favorite French appetizer from onion soup, escargot and bone marrow. Duck confit is delicious. I love buillon and have tried four of them during this visit (Pigalle, Republique, Chartier and Pharamond)
Ganda G — Google review
We visited Bouillon Pigalle in Paris, a restaurant I had heard a lot about and had been looking forward to trying. I would highly recommend reserving in advance, as the place gets very busy and lively, especially during peak hours. For my meal, I opted for the Boeuf Bourguignon with lard fumé and coquillettes. Honestly, the dish felt quite basic. While the flavors were classic, the beef was a bit dry, and it didn’t have the richness I was expecting from such a famous dish. I also ordered the escargots, which were delicious and definitely one of the highlights of the meal. My friend went with the cuisse de poulet with sauce poulette and fries. The chicken was well-cooked, but the fries were just average, nothing special. I went in with high expectations due to all the hype surrounding the restaurant, but while the food was decent, it didn’t quite give me the “wow” factor I was hoping for. That said, the service was impeccable—the staff was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the overall experience very pleasant despite the food being a bit underwhelming. Another positive point is that the restaurant is really not expensive, especially considering the location in Paris and the quality of the ingredients. For anyone looking to enjoy a traditional Parisian meal without spending a fortune, Bouillon Pigalle offers good value for money. The atmosphere is lively and very Parisian, which adds to the charm. Overall, it’s a nice spot for a casual yet classic Parisian meal, particularly if you manage your expectations regarding the food. The combination of friendly service, reasonable prices, and a bustling environment makes it worth a visit, even if it doesn’t quite live up to the hype on the culinary side.
H K — Google review
The food was a hit and miss. Most we ordered were good such as the seafood vol au vent, escargot and eggs with maroilles cream but the steak frites was terrible. It was extremely hard and rubbery, pls do not order that. No wonder I saw so many people ordering the pork shank with fries and that looked good! Place was very cute though, and the staff were helpful and nice. All in all an interesting Parisian experience, but I think once is enough for me!

*** Highlights: Cheap. Eat a lot. Booking RECOMMENDED! *** What we liked: Great menu, and it’s cheap! *** Recommended? Absolutely. Table for 3, entrees and mains as well as desserts, we paid 100€!

Packed, and Bustling Restaurant. Very Popular with tourists. There is usually a line to get in, which is always a good sign of awesomeness. However the food is Good, with the versions of the popular favorites, known for in france. For the money great bang for you buck. But If you want really good food, you may need to spend more.
Brian C — Google review
Bouillon Pigalle is one of the best places in Paris to experience authentic French cuisine for an affordable price. The place is quite full and there’s a high chance that you need to stay in the queue. So it’s better to join very early or very late. We went for the dinner around 21:30. There was still the queue but was fast moving. We were inside the restaurant within 15 minutes. The food was good. I would give 7/10. Portions were huge at least for me. The restaurant is pretty loud, as there were around 150 people and tables are quite close to each other. It’s part of the experience and you are still able to talk comfortably with your partner or group. Bouillon Pigalle was one of a kind experience we had in our Paris trip.
Indula A — Google review
I think if you go in with the right expectations this place is actually great, especially for the price. The fast paced, fully packed out, cheapness is all part of the experience… and the food is actually pretty good, though I’ve seen some mixed reviews. But you get what you pay for, it’s not gonna be mind blowing. Highly recommend making a reservation to avoid waiting in line. The pork shank was tasty and a good portion, the steak was cooked to a medium rare (though it was a tough cut) and the pepper sauce was really nice. Fries were standard. The Tarama was probably my favourite thing we tried, easily could have sat there all day eating it with bread. The crème brûlée was pretty on par for a decent dessert, and I was lucky that my French toast wasn’t too sweet.
Francis T — Google review
An absolute must-visit in Paris! Lovely service, delicious traditional French food, and excellent wine. We had the onion soup, beef bourguignon, and an amazing dessert — everything was full of authentic flavor. The wine was great, plentiful, and surprisingly affordable. Highly recommend!

Restaurant
La Poule au Pot is a charming French restaurant located in the central 1st arrondissement of Paris. The vibrant red exterior, scarlet curtains, and retro signage exude classic Parisian style. This Les Halles institution has been around for over 80 years and is currently run by renowned chef Jean-Francois Piege and his wife Elodie. The historic dolls-house-like building has been renovated while preserving its original charm.
This was my second visit to Poule au Pot. We found it accidentally three years ago, and knew we HAD to go back again this trip. The food was AMAZING, and our service was absolutely Darling. I will come back again and again.
Michelle M — Google review
Firstly, all of the staff were incredibly nice and hospitable. I felt welcome and attended to throughout my dining experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant felt filled with tourists and the food was just okay. I was looking for more of an authentic French bistro and instead found myself in the middle of a Trip Advisor “go to” list. The meal was decent but overpriced and the wine list was extensive but missing some of the options. I just wish it were better.
Brooks J — Google review
My husband and I had a reservation for our last night in Paris and I’m so glad we went. I found my favorite French Onion Soup, and the server made great recommendations on the Chicken Fricassée and Steak in peppercorn sauce. Everything was so delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to go back the next time we visit the city.
Minji K — Google review
Michelin restaurant? I don’t think so. Good evening! The restaurant offers good cuisine, but the service needs improvement. The appetizers and main courses are tasty, but they don’t create a wow effect. There are issues with the service: they don’t clear the glasses, they don’t change the tablecloth for dessert—and in general, it’s shabby (for a restaurant with a high price tag and a Michelin star). They didn’t offer tea or coffee with dessert. After serving the dishes, they don’t say “enjoy your meal” to mark the end of the service and the start of the guests’ dining experience. If it were just an inexpensive restaurant, we would have given it a five. But this is Michelin, and that means reputation. We are very disappointed and do not recommend it.
Maria L — Google review
The French onion soup was amazing. The sea bass, chicken pot and the steak were great entrees and the staff helped us find a wine to fit with our diverse courses form their extensive list!
Jennifer E — Google review
Great place imho, nice staff and super awesome wine list! The steak tartare was perfect and nicely spiced up, probably one of the better ones I had in my life.
Kees B — Google review
A rare gem of authentic French cuisine I’ve been dining at restaurants across France for decades, and La Poule au Pot is something truly special. This place has preserved an authenticity that’s nearly impossible to find today – the kind of honest, soulful French cooking I remember from 30-40 years ago when I was much younger. Everything here is about simplicity done right: exceptional quality ingredients, generous portions, and dishes prepared the way they should be. No pretense, no gimmicks – just real French food the way it was meant to be eaten. Located in the heart of Les Halles (once known as “the belly of Paris”), this restaurant is more than a meal – it’s a genuine taste of France’s culinary soul. If you want to experience truly authentic French cuisine in Paris, La Poule au Pot isn’t just recommended – it’s essential
Charles G — Google review
Third visit during this trip. This time, the weather prompted the need for something really warm and I had to try the onion soup. Delicious and extremely hot, perfect for the day. My wife had the "POÊLÉE DE CÈPES À L’HUILE EN PERSILLADE, œuf mollet" which comes in a great presentation and the mushrooms and egg are delicious. We shared the "TOURNEDOS DE FILET DE BOEUF flambé au poivre" which were just the right sized portion to share. The "flambeing" imparts great flavor to the dish, not to mention the lightness of the pepper sauce. We accompanied the dish with spinach and paired the meal with a good Morgon wine.

Tea house
Nestled in a historic passageway dating back to 1776, La Jacobine is a charming French restaurant and tea room located in the Cour du Commerce Saint-Andre. The restaurant offers traditional French dishes such as coq au vin, escargots, and their famous onion soup. Adorned with frescos representing the French Revolution, the setting exudes an intimate ambiance perfect for a romantic evening in the Latin Quarter.
La Jacobine gave us the best meal we have ever had in Paris. We booked three months ago or so we thought we did, but they couldn’t find our booking. Probably best to book on their website. Nevertheless, they managed to squeeze us in after a short wait. We were in luck as ten minutes later people were queueing outside the door. My wife had the lamb shank with prunes and figs and I chose the slow cooked Beef Casseroie. Both meals were cooked individually in their own cast iron pots. Consequently, they came out quickly and were lovely and hot. The meat was so tender and there were plenty of vegetables to add to the flavour. I can highly recommend this little gem. So much character and the staff were super friendly. Be sure to try their wonderful desserts as well. The wine list, while not extensive was still perfect.
Mark W — Google review
Reservations are strongly encouraged. We arrived on a weekday afternoon and were lucky to snag the last available table. The group after us had to wait over 30 minutes for the next one. I ordered the onion soup and the restaurant’s specialty, coq au vin. It was my first time trying coq au vin, so with no reference point, I can only share my impression of it. It had a rich, savory flavor with deep notes of wine. The braised chicken was tender and practically fell apart. My friend ordered the salmon, which was also very delicious.
Ngan — Google review
An absolutely incredible French restaurant — authentic, beautifully prepared dishes at truly decent prices. Everything feels simple, honest, and done with care, from the seasoning to the presentation. The service is impeccable; warm, attentive, and professional without ever being intrusive. It’s a rather small space, which makes it cozy but also means it can be a bit tricky to get a booking (and could use slightly better ventilation on busy nights). Still, it’s completely worth the effort. A real gem of a place, one of those rare spots that should definitely be on your list if you love genuine French cuisine.
Amanda G — Google review
This was our last meal in Paris before departing from our honeymoon and we could not be happier with how our trip ended off because of this restaurant. We arrived upon opening for dinner service and luckily were able to put our name down for a later time slot that night but would highly recommend reserving a table as this location is small with not very many tables. The service was phenomenal. Our server was helpful and always smiling. The food however truly stole the show. The french onion soup was especially our favourite- highly recommend! Both the beef stew and coq au vin were delicious and hearty. We got a raspberry item for dessert and it was the perfect consistency - light and tart, but not too sweet. Only thing to be aware of is that the stairs down to the toilet are quite steep and not accessible friendly.
Angela W — Google review
An iconic Paris restaurant that’s simply unmissable. The décor is stunning, blending elegance with charm, and the atmosphere feels effortlessly relaxed. While it can get quite busy, we were pleasantly surprised—our table was ready in just 10 minutes. The dessert display was a feast for the eyes, with each option looking tempting. We went for the cheesecake and the restaurant’s famous hot chocolate. The cake were prepared in the San Sebastián style and absolutely delicious. Personally, I would have preferred the classic San Sebastián cheesecake base rather than the biscuit crust, but that’s just a matter of taste. The hot chocolate deserves a special mention—rich, smooth, and truly memorable. A must-try if you visit. In short: a Parisian classic that delivers both style and flavor, perfect for anyone looking to savor the city’s sweet side.

La Jacobine in Paris is such a wonderful spot! The food was absolutely amazing, full of rich flavors and perfectly cooked. The French onion soup was just superb—warm, cheesy, and so comforting, easily the best I’ve had in Paris! The waiter was incredibly professional and kind, taking great care of every detail. The cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home. A truly lovely place for a delicious meal and great service. Totally recommend it!
Patrick T — Google review
You must make a reservation! We had the delicious french onion soup, the beef stew and the duck tajine. The mains are deliciously cooked and was a very memorable meal. Portions are huge and is somewhat difficult for one to finish so it makes sense to come and share them as a group. The duck tajine is very flavourful, reminds me of a spin off of a butter chicken in its own way as it’s sweet and savoury! We finished off the meal with coffees and the lemon meringue tarte which was also delicious. Would highly recommend the visit as it’s also in a very cute alleyway to see stores and restaurants!

A very solid 5 stars ⭐ unfortunately 5 is the limit ;) Everything was great right from The Server - the most polite and thoughtful I have seen so far. He never missed the eye contact and was ready when we need anything. Had clear description about the dishes and drinks. Food was awesome. One of the few fine dining places in France where they have quality as well as quantity (this is rare). we we so full with the starters and main course that we didn't ordered dessert. next time! we ordered goat cheese with honey, onion soup (awesome taste), roaster in wine, duck breasts (awesome mushroom sauce)

Bistrot des Vosges is a charming French bistro located near the iconic Place des Vosges in Paris. The restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with retro decor. A charming, French-style cozy spot. The food was delicious—I highly recommend the grilled sausage with Aligot and the onion soup. We arrived at 7 PM, and by 8 PM, the place was bustling. It's best to call ahead to secure a table.

The French onion soup tasted really good. The owner/manager she was so friendly. We loved every bit of it except, well, if you don’t speak French, depending on your luck, you might get “special” treatment. So, speak French, or order sparkling water to bribe your way. Otherwise, count on your luck.

The best restaurant experience I have had in France. The food is surprisingly good. I've ordered the snails, onion soup, the sausage with mashed potato. You can't believe how stringy the mashed potatoes and onion soup is. The waiter is superb friendly and show you how to try the food. They take order and the check very quickly. I originally a bit hesitate when seeing comments below they are not friendly to non-French speakers. But it turns out they all wear smile and very attentive. Every time I need something there's always a guy ready to serve me. this restaurant has the best service I experienced during my 3 weeks here in Paris. You won't be disappointed with the food or service here. Absolutely will come back.

This is definitely my favorite Paris restaurant. We love all the food we ordered. Rich flavors that bust in our mouths. Our host is incredibly courteous and attentive, despite us unable to speak French with him. All staff are very friendly to my toddler.

We enjoyed a superb lunch at Bistrot des Vosges during our recent visit to the area while shopping at the Marche Bastille. My wife had the french onion soup and I had the choux farci (stuffed cabbage rolls). Both meals were excellent as was the included baguette. We opted to finish with the very tasty Grand Marnier soufflé for dessert. The wait staff were truly professional and we enjoyed the decor of the restaurant. We recommend this restaurant and we will return on our next visit to Paris.

Charming restaurant with amazing french onion soup! The steak tartare was huge and tasty, upgraded the fries to aligot which had a really creamy, cloud-like texture. The servers were also really friendly. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and portions.

I can understand why other reviewers describe this place as having the best french onion soup in paris. Its delicious. The broth thick, rich and dark. Personally, I’d like more cheese but can’t fault the place for focusing on the broth.

Exactly the French bistro you’re looking for. I had the onion soup with a salad on the side and a glass of the house red wine. It was delicious, affordable and service is kind, fast and attentive.

Bouillon République is a lavish restaurant exuding an old-world charm, offering classic broth, seafood dishes, and delectable desserts. Situated in a vast two-floor dining room near Place de la Republique, the venue encapsulates Parisian history. The establishment's servers, adorned in waistcoats, navigate through the space carrying trays laden with iconic French dishes such as onion soup and boeuf bourguignon.
Just really great. There were four of us and we had to wait about 20 minutes in the evening. But it's definitely worth it, especially because the prices are top notch and the food tastes really delicious. In the photos, I photographed the menus in German, English, and French. We tried a variety of different dishes, everything was really delicious, and the service was excellent, especially considering the number of people! We particularly liked it because, unlike some other restaurants, it's not about looking great and having chic, photogenic decor, but about the food and having great conversations, which makes it feel like home.
Kai S — Google review
Delicious! Cozy! A bit tight, but everything is neat and comfortable! I can recommend it! We came till 6:00 PM and didn’t have to wait in line. The classic onion soup has disappeared from the menu. The dishes took a little while to be served, but everything was tasty! It was my first time trying snails — thank you! Just don’t let them seat you next to the waiters’ working station — not the nicest spot 🙌🏻
Anna S — Google review
Vibe, prices and service are 10/10, really recommend. The food itself was nice - starters and desserts were good, not extraordinarily but good, but the main courses (we ordered beef bourguignon and steak) were not good. The beef bourguignon was dry and the steak was tasteless and hard. Overall still recommend because the price is super low and the experience is great. The line also moves real fast. Maybe just focus on the starters more.

A great place to get traditional Parisian café food. I had the escargot, steak fries, creme brulee, and a half of Cote de Rhone. The flavours were wonderful, and things were cooked very well. The cut of steak I got was very tough and chewy, but everything else was perfect. I was there for a late lunch at 3pm, on a Monday. There was a 25 minute line up to get in. It took about 15 minutes before I was asked for my order, but after that things came quickly. Three courses with wine was €32.40

This restaurant is very busy and crowded. Plan your time before coming, as the lines are long, or if possible, make a reservation. The food is quite tasty and the prices are very affordable. If you're in Rotterdam, make time to come here. The service is good, standard for Rotterdam, where it's fast.
Shirley W — Google review
If you want to eat French cuisine without destroying your bank account, this is the place. Affordable prices. The dishes we got like the duck confit, bone marrow, and escargot were delicious! Highly suggested to book in advance since the line for walk-ins are ridiculously long. We booked a week before so we didn't have to queue. Service can be quicker but I get that the whole place was packed and busy all night.
Tammy V — Google review
I had the three-course meal and was genuinely impressed. Each dish was flavorful and well-prepared, with thoughtful presentation and generous portions. For the price, it’s an absolute steal—very affordable without compromising on quality. I really enjoyed the entire experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for great food at a great price.
Arman S — Google review
This was my first dinner in Paris and it was great. I'm glad to have booked in advance because the queue to get in was very long, and it took 10 minutes to get in even with a reservation. The whole thing is an experience, from the loud atmosphere, the quick service, the dim light. I didn't find the service impolite; I had a very nice server and although it sometimes took a while for things to arrive or for me to be served, it was to be expected with the crazy number of people dining. For the price, the food was really good. It's not the best French food in the city, of course, but you're foolish if you come here expecting that. I really enjoyed the beef bourguignon, though it needed a bit of salt (the waiter gave me some salt and pepper when I asked). It was super comforting and a very hefty portion. Simple but delicious. I had a glass of the house chardonnay which I thought was really nice for the price and very easy to drink. The best dish was the dessert, the profiterole! A huge dish, perhaps too much for one person, but delicious nonetheless. The pastry is fluffy and the ice cream is light. Overall I really do recommend this place. I would order more next time just so I can try more dishes!!

Attabler is a fabulous neighborhood restaurant in the 16th that offers a blend of classic and modern cuisine. The warm welcome by Sebastien, the knowledgeable boss, sets the tone for an enjoyable dining experience. The menu features tender and well-crafted meats, including matured sirloin, and fresh turbo served with crunchy beans. The attentive service adds to the friendly atmosphere, making it a great choice for a meal with colleagues or friends.
Great little local place. Food was good as well as the price. My husband got the duck confit which was amazing and I got onion soup (I was still full from a cheese tasting earlier). Came for my husband’s birthday and got a candle on our dessert which was a nice touch. Staff was friendly and chose excellent wines for us to pair with our food.

I’ve been on a journey to try and find the best Entrecote in Paris… I think I can finally say I’ve found it. Starters and desserts were a bit disappointing. But if you’re a meet lover, don’t miss out on the Entrecote! Also they get their bread from a boulangerie called Le Bechu and I think it’s hands down one of the best baguettes in Paris.

Café de Flore is a long-standing coffeehouse located in the charming corner of St-Germain quarter. It has been a popular spot for intellectuals and artists, with famous figures like Picasso, Hemingway, Simone de Beauvoir, and Jean-Paul Sartre frequenting the place. The café's interior has retained its Art Deco charm over the years, making it feel like a time capsule of bohemian Paris.
My favorite Cafe! Cafe de Floor in Paris offers the best hot chocolate and cappuccino around! The service is friendly and attentive, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. Can’t wait to come back there again! Highly recommended!!

Loved this famous and prestigious cafe in Paris. Historic and highly regarded, I can tell why. We went for breakfast on Sunday, and didn't need to queue. We did go at 8am though, and there was a crowd starting to develop inside. We ordered the- Special flore dark chocolat with creme Croissant Toast with echire butter The Le The de flore tea creation Croque Monsieur special flore Has to be the best croissant we had in Paris. Can't recommend the croissant enough. The hot chocolate was delightful and wasn't too sickening. I recommend to order it with the creme. The french butter was tasty too. Next time I would love to try the French onion soup and cafe de flore terrine. Overall 10/10 and highly recommend when looking for an authentic French cafe experience in Paris.
Aaron A — Google review
This has to be one of the most famous cafés in Paris, it’s been featured in countless movies and stories! I just had to visit while I was in the city, and it was absolutely worth it. It’s always super busy (clearly I wasn’t the only one with the same idea), so I waited about half an hour in line. But once seated, I had the best onion soup of my life! I also tried the foie gras, which came in a much larger portion than expected, definitely something to share with at least three people. The service was handsome…wait…I mean friendly.
Laura P — Google review
Very very busy cafe. A bit of a wait for food and drink, but I was determined to experience because of its cultural significance. Mixed drinks were creative and delicious! However I saw many patrons order the hot chocolate and I was a bit remorseful I had not gone that route. Must see for any “lost generation” aficionados. Timeless, elegant. In the corner by the stairs, there is a delightful little dollhouse recreation of the cafe with small pictures of its famous guests, Hemingway, Fitzgerald. I can easily see how this would invite conversation and creativity. And I just love Paris. A win win!

An unforgettable Parisian experience at Café de Flore! We were warmly welcomed by Lia at the reception, who was incredibly kind and attentive — a lovely start to our visit. We ordered the hot chocolate with whipped cream, and honestly, it deserves a gold medal 🏅 — rich, velvety, and absolutely indulgent. The Éclair and Lemon Tart were equally delightful, clearly crafted with love and care. Our Americano (long coffee) was smooth and well-roasted, showcasing the café’s attention to coffee quality. The waiters were professional, efficient, and courteous, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Café de Flore truly lives up to its reputation. It’s a must-visit in Paris, and we’ll definitely return on future trips. ❤️🇫🇷

Visiting Café de Flore is like stepping into a page of Parisian history. Nestled in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the café is legendary — once a favorite of Sartre, Beauvoir, and countless artists and writers. The terrace is perfect for people-watching with a café crème in hand, and the ambiance is undeniably charming. Yes, the prices are high and the service can feel a bit brisk, but you’re not just paying for coffee — you’re paying for the atmosphere, the legacy, and that iconic Parisian moment. It’s not where you go for the best food in Paris, but it is where you go to feel the spirit of the city.
Antonija M — Google review
A Parisian Classic Worth Experiencing! Café de Flore is the quintessential Parisian café — elegant, historic, and full of charm. Sitting on the terrace with a coffee or hot chocolate while watching the world go by feels like stepping into a timeless Paris postcard. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with perfectly flaky croissants, delicious omelets, and rich café crème. The service was attentive and professional, even with the café’s lively atmosphere. It’s easy to see why Café de Flore remains a Paris institution — a place where history, ambiance, and great food come together beautifully. Don’t miss it if you want to experience authentic Parisian café culture at its best!

Terminus Nord is a classic French brasserie located just across from Gare du Nord, offering an elevated dining experience with a focus on seafood. Established in 1925, this chic restaurant exudes the old Paris charm with its art deco ambiance. The menu features traditional specialties such as onion soup and seafood platters, including the renowned fruits de mer options ranging from 24 to 145. The restaurant also boasts a selection of artisanal beers and quality wines.
I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this restaurant, directly across from the Train Station (Gare de Nord... of course). Following a long day of meetings at the Paris Air Show, I was looking for a nice and reasonably quick dinner before starting my evening meetings back with the States. They have a nice Set Menu selection for dinner. I had the prawns appetizer, muscles in cream wine sauce for a main (perfectly cooked and extremely delicious), and the classic creme brulee for dessert (again perfect as you can only get in Paris). And I left more filled than I would have anticipated... Extremely delicious and I departed both very happy and quiet stuffed at an very reasonable price. One of the most enjoyable little (... big...) dinners I have enjoyed in Paris alone in decades. :-) Dan

9-June-2025 Good food. Oysters and fish are very fresh. 12-June-2025 I came back to dine at this restaurant once again. The service was not as good as last time. I ordered Tuna tartare snd Mussels. At this time, the waiter served only bread without butter. When I asked for one, they charged me €0.80 for that.

The food was very good! I would say that the dishes are on the fancier side and I am more of a simple dish enjoyer, but still tasted amazing, especially the fish and chips. This place is on the more expensive side with drinks being around 6 euros and dishes around 20-25, but you’re seated right in front of Gar du Nord so that is cool.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon between 2 trains. Service was very friendly, and efficient. My children and I really enjoyed the food. I ordered octopus which had a delicious pea purée alongside it and some vegetable. Really could not fault it and I have rarely seen a dish quite like that. The waiters were kind to my kids too, which was appreciated after a long trip. They can serve you faster if you are in a hurry to catch a train.

Le Saint Regis is a vibrant establishment in Paris that offers traditional French dishes like steak, pancakes, and foie gras. Situated on Ile Saint-Louis, just south of Le Marais, it is highly recommended for visitors seeking an enjoyable time in the city. The café serves delicious food at reasonable prices and boasts an appealing ambiance that is perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy moments.
We actually found this with ChatGPT. We asked for something authentic, friendly to child’s and tourists, and not just another tourist trap, and we were recommended this, and we didn’t regret. The food was good, it’s such a cozy place, and our waiter Lancelot was just great. He got us to feel special despite we’re just some danish tourist among thousands of others. Thanks for that. We went two times, the last visit was our kids choice, they just loved the Salmon. Do we recommend it, YES!
Carsten J — Google review
This Ile Saint-Louis gem was recommended to us for their great bistro food and the recommendations were spot on. The place is very French bistro with plenty of outside tables and a great vibe on a corner with a number of other places. The prices aren’t cheap but as they say you get what you pay for. Well, if you have seen a certain movie from Quentin T with John T and Uma T having dinner at a retro cafe named Jack Rabbit Slims, my first comment was “Is that a 28 euro burger on the menu? It’s got meat, bacon, and cheese on it?” Well I ordered it and I don’t know if that burger was worth €28 but it was a pretty “#%&$” great cheeseburger. V ordered the Croque Madam. It looked great and while I didn’t try it, she said it was the best sandwich she had ever had. While she did offer me a bite, I was mid-burger so missed out. She is a great judge so I’d have to say it must be really really good. The bar and drink menu is great and they have lots of non-alcoholic choices as well which we like so it was a big win all around. And for dessert, we had a caramel eclair which was as good as you would find in any patisserie. Overall great night and great dinner. Total meal with drinks was about €100 but not that bad considering it’s Paris and you’re a stone’s throw from Notre Dame. Enjoy!

Came here straight from the airport and this was our first meal in Paris. Our 6 month old was feeling jet lagged and a little unhappy during our meal and waitstaff was so accommodating and sweet to us. Food was DELICIOUS! Vibes were great! Service was FAST and got the check really quick when requested. They also found us a seat where I could bring our small stroller out from the rain as well which was so kind. 5 star experience for sure.

Loved this charming little place. Classic French cafe. I had the full breakfast and everything was excellent. I just happened upon this place after leaving Notre Dame. The staff were very polite and accommodating. I went back a second time for a late lunch/early dinner and also enjoyed it very much. The creme brulee was excellent. I sat inside and saw a local elderly woman sitting outside for coffee with her two cocker spaniels in a baby carriage. Very entertaining.

We had an amazing meal at The Saint Regis. The French onion soup was soooo nice, and I really cannot stress this, it was absolutely the best soup I've ever had. I would go back to Paris just to eat at this restaurant! Staff were lovely and friendly (spoke English, though we do try to speak French). Prices were not bad either. Lovely setting. Couldn't have asked for more on a hot summers evening.

Went their quite early as I was going for an early morning walk. I walked in at about 7:45, and I believe their open time was 7:30. They didn’t have any breakfast / eggs available so they asked me to wait 1 hour or they could provide me a croissant. Lady seemed a little frustrated as I didn’t want a coffee straight away and she waved her arms around like I did something wrong. I got an espresso which was a little below average and a croissant which was beautiful. 3 stars has been given due to the fact they had no eggs, or breakfast available according to their open time, coffee was sub par, and the waving of the arms from the lady who served me.

Bistrot Victoires is a classic and lively bistro in Paris, offering vintage decor and a cozy atmosphere. It's known for serving great Gallic fare, including dishes like duck confit, escargot, steak tartare, and roast chicken. The restaurant is popular among locals and tourists alike for its affordable yet authentic French cuisine.
I visited Bistrot Victoires today and had a generally positive experience. I ordered the escargots with bread and the steak of the day — both dishes were tasty and well-prepared. The food really lived up to the bistro’s reputation. The staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant itself has charm, but it was extremely crowded. There are too many tables packed into the space, which made it feel stuffy and hard to relax. People kept bumping into my chair, and after finishing my meal, I left quickly because it was just too overwhelming. That said, I still liked the place overall. The pricing was reasonable for the quality of food, which is a big plus. Just be aware that parking nearby can be a bit of a challenge.

Very cute restaurant at the corner, super friendly staffs and great services! Food is just average, maybe we didn’t order right. However, my salmon tarter is very tasty and decent portion, my drink is good too. The burger and the starter are a bit boring, fries are not the greatest either. Overall positive experience! For the location, price is good.

Fantastic service , good food , cheap drinks & prices , what more can you wish for. Definitely recommended. Expect to wait outside a little bit in a queue as many people want to go here. I had steak and it was really great, especially for that price. My girlfriend loved the onion soup, it was the best she had this week in France. should we come back to Paris then we will definitely have to come back here

We ordered starters and main courses too and we got the food really fast but we got everything all at once and tables were tiny so it was very uncomfortable to eat like that. the food looked very good but... The taste of the food was very bland. No seasoning on anything really. Luckily we got the bill very fast but I really do not feel like it was worth it spend the money there. The waiters did the bare minimum. We had an amazing day in Paris but this dinner took a little bit from the experience. I do not recommend this place.
Fruzsina H — Google review
We saw that this restaurant was packed with locals and tourists and there was a decent line outside so we decided to give it a try. Despite the long line, it went by fast and we were seated within 15 min. We tried the escargot, two salad entrees, rib steak frites and chicken. We loved the escargot and mashed potatoes that came with the chicken dish the most. The rib steak and chicken were both a bit chewy and tough to eat, but they were overall good given the amazing affordable price point. The manager was so friendly to everyone which made our experience here even better.
Janet L — Google review
We came a bit later in the evening, we had to wait at most 5 minutes. The onion soup and escargot’s came very quick and were delicious starters. For mains we had the steak with burnt thyme and the beef tartare, we devoured both of them, definitely can recommend here! The tables are a bit close together, but the staff is very helpful and friendly. A lot of locals come here as well. Price quality balance also very good.

The duck confit was decent, but onions soup is a bit too greasy and watery to my preference. Although the food isn’t the best that we had, dishes are fairly priced and the intimate warm atmosphere made a great experience.

We enjoyed our meal at Le Suffren — the food was good and nicely prepared. However, the service could have been warmer, may be because it was a busy day. Booking is definitely recommended as it gets quite busy, and the prices are fair for the quality and location.

We came on a Friday night with no reservation. Even though the venue looked full, the waiter still managed to make space for us without wait, which we appreciated. They also provided us with an english menu. We didn't like the ribeye steak and bearnaise sauce, but the star of the show was the duck confit #perfection

The atmosphere felt authentic, with local patrons, yet we didn't feel excluded and truly enjoyed our meal. The tables were a little close together, which made it slightly difficult to get in and out. However, I think some people might find this arrangement adds to the cozy and friendly atmosphere. My daughter absolutely loved the escargots and had two servings! The wine you recommended was also delicious, and the beef tartare was rich and flavorful. We definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

We also ordered crepe Suzette which was prepared by the waiter. It was so delicious, sweet and with a good orange flavour. I will definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Paris.

Phở Bánh Cuốn 14 is a family-owned Vietnamese restaurant that has been serving authentic cuisine for over 30 years. Their pho features a rich beef broth and tender slices of beef, while other menu highlights include banh cuon and bun cha. The dishes incorporate fresh herbs like mint, coriander, Thai basil, and lemongrass. Although the restaurant offers outdoor seating, it's known for long queues due to its popularity.
I enjoy coming to Pho Bang Cuon 14 a lot. A friend introduced me to the place a few years ago and I have been returning since. The pho speciale is delicious, with plenty of beef, meat dumplings and tripes. The broth is clear and tasty and the noodles and condiments add that final touch. I also enjoy the nems and starters in general. The quality is very consistent so I usually drop by when I am in the area.

Locate near Val d'europe. Food was excellent, and it came fairly quickly. Lots of choices on the menu which is unusual for any Vietnamese restaurant I visited. I especially like the red bean dessert / drink, it resemble a home-made drink I had back home. We had our first meal in Paris here (in late July), and it was fantastic! The pho was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and came in generous portions – just what we needed after a long trip. The taste matched our preferences really well. The only downside was that the tables were a bit small, which made it slightly uncomfortable. Overall, highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese food in Paris!

I’ve been coming to Pho 14 for years, but this visit wasn’t quite the same. The broth lacked the depth of flavor I remember, and the service felt minimal — not rude, just not very engaging. Still, it’s a convenient spot for a quick bowl of pho, though I miss the warmth and richness it once had.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been coming to Phở Bánh Cuốn 14 in the 13ᵉ arrondissement for well over a decade now, and it remains one of the most authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Paris. Every visit takes me to Vietnam in flavour, and I always leave satisfied. From day one, the standard here has been remarkably high. The broth for the phở is rich, aromatic, with a subtle balance of star anise, ginger, and onion—not overly heavy, never overly sweet. It’s the kind of broth that warms you to your bones on a cold Parisian night. The beef (both rare slices and cooked) is always fresh, tender, and prepared just right. When I order the phở spécial with raw beef, it gently cooks in the bowl, releasing that wonderful fragrance of meat and spices. The bánh cuốn is another highlight: thin rice crepes, steamed just so, filled with minced pork and wood ear mushrooms, garnished with fresh herbs and crispy shallots. Light yet filling. I’ve tasted many versions in France and abroad, but theirs still ranks among the very best. Portions have always been very generous. Even a “standard” bowl is enough to fill you up, and side dishes like nems (spring rolls) still retain their crisp, satisfying texture. The ingredients feel fresh—herbs, bean sprouts, lime wedges—these little additions never feel like an afterthought. The atmosphere has evolved slightly over the years—Pho 14 is busier than ever, queues are common, tables are close together—but the core experience remains. You come for the food, and you get what you came for: authenticity, consistency, good value. Service is fast. It’s not fancy, it’s not slick, but efficient. People working behind the counter know what they’re doing, even at peak hours. Sometimes it feels more like a beloved canteen than a restaurant, and that’s part of its charm. If you want real Vietnamese flavours—an honest phở or bánh cuốn that tastes like something you’d eat in Vietnam—this is one of the few places in Paris that still delivers after all these years. I’ll keep coming back. Highly recommended for both the newcomer and the occasional pho-lover.

nice food, good service and good vibe, the soup is not as hot as I thought, we sat outside and it got cool during the eating.
Alex S — Google review
Came here after 13.30 still crowded. Whenever I fancy authentic Vietnamese pho without being disappointed I come here. I only had to wait few minutes to have a seat inside. It was very hot and they didn’t turn on the A/C. Besides my table was an English (sound British) aged man that ordered No.3 and a pair of American speaking ladies. The customer base is not only foreigners but many local French and Asian. The pho soup was sumptuous and flavorful. The beef melted in my mouth without chewing it. There was nothing to ask for side vegetables which come as standard. The red bean coconut milk drink was delicious and refreshing though I would prefer with more ices. Most tourists don’t know Paris, particularly Paris 13th district, is the best place in the world to have authentic Vietnamese Pho soup (except Vietnam)given its high concentration of Chinese Vietnamese diaspora. I tried Pho from over 30 countries and Paris still has the best authentic Pho. Service was fast and efficient (no BS). People come here only for good food and not romance or networking.

Le Moulin de la Galette, located in Montmartre, is a historic restaurant housed in an old windmill dating back to 1622. Once a popular spot for drinking and dancing, it was immortalized by the famous painter Renoir in his masterpiece 'Bal au moulin de la Galette.' The restaurant offers a cozy dining room and terrace where guests can enjoy traditional French cuisine.
We enjoyed a lovely meal at lunchtime. We had three courses and wine. Everything was perfect. The staff were exceptional, the food was delicious and the wine was delightful. We had snails and frogs legs as a starter, cow au vin and t bone steak followed by the dessert of the day which was exquisite .I had researched somewhere to enjoy a birthday meal whilst on holiday and this was perfect. I would recommend to anyone visiting Montmarte but do book ahead as it is very popular.

Wouldn't say that it's the best food in the world, but it doesn't need to be. I still very much enjoyed it. The atmosphere both inside and outside was lovely, certainly a more interesting place to dine in. We had the steak and the risotto, both were quite tasty yet not too expensive. Service was pretty much perfect, super friendly staff all-around. Quick too. Recommended if you're in the area. Wasn't too full but still I'd suggest a reservation beforehand.
Emilian C — Google review
We arrived at 20:45 for our reservation, excited because a Parisian friend had highly recommended Le Moulin de la Galette. The restaurant is in a charming, historic building in Montmartre, and the atmosphere seemed perfect for a romantic dinner. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. The hostess told us that inside seating was unavailable and asked us to wait 15 to 20 minutes. We waited on the sidewalk with no updates, only to watch a walk-in party of two get seated before us. When we asked for an update, she admitted she had forgotten about us and told us to wait inside so she would not forget again. Even then, we watched her seat another party before us with no explanation. Nearly an hour after our reservation time, we were finally seated. The food was fine, but by that point we were frustrated and ready to leave. The wall next to our table was dirty and covered with food stains and crumbs, which made the experience even less pleasant. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation and beautiful setting, the service and cleanliness were far below expectations.

Staff was very attentive and friendly, even made us smile. Most spoke English really well. The vibe was nice, we sat next to some loud high school/college kids, they were excited because they ordered alcohol and they didnt check IDs and they were 17, maybe its the age rule is different here idk. It would have been nice to ask them to quiet down a little though. The food: the duck with potatoes was really good, it tasted like the dark meat of turkey and buttery potatoes. Pretty fatty. The bread was decent, not as good as the bakeries in the street but better than other restaurants. The steak frites, was undercooked but I dont think they understood "medium well", i asked for them to cook it a little more cause it was rare and they said "yes, its french to have it bloody, we are cook it more for you". They were very kind about it and the steak was good tasting after, it was a pretty fatty cut it would say i would eat about half of the pictured meat, the rest was fat. Fries were good, I salted them. Salad was not my fav I dont like Dijon mustard unfortunately. The olives tasted canned and not good. Overall, the other places we ate were better quality, this was decent but not worth the money. The redeeming factor was the history behind the windmill that is on the restaurant, we googled it but I think they have a mat on the table in french telling about it. Lunch menu seems like a good deal.

We visited Le Moulin de la Galette on the last day of our 20th wedding anniversary trip to Paris. It was a rainy afternoon and an in-between hour for lunch, so we felt rather lucky to be seated straight away. The food was absolutely delicious — we each had the classic French onion soup and shared a perfectly cooked steak with chips and salad. The lovely lady who served us told us a little about the restaurant’s fascinating history and kindly offered us printed placemats as a keepsake. A charming and memorable way to end our Parisian escape.

Our waiter was very friendly and attentive (until there are too many customers). The interior was also very nice but it would be nicer with fewer tables. The food was good to with reasonable price in this area! I loved the dessert especially. The service got a little too slow when an espresso was forgotten.

If you're looking for an elegant and luxurious restaurant, look no further than Le Dali. They serve a wide variety of French dishes, including some incredible pigeon. Their afternoon tea is definitely worth checking out, and their desserts are some of the best in Paris. The staff are polite and attentive, making dining at Le Dalí a truly enjoyable experience.
Undoubtedly the nicest restaurant that we visited on this trip to Paris. The setting was elegant and beautiful, and complemented by the live jazz music in the background. The waitstaff all spoke English, which we appreciated. The food was artfully presented, and their taste did not disappoint. We had a wonderful meal, but be prepared for a spectacularly hefty bill at the end. I would categorize this as a big splurge for a special occasion kind of place.
Minh-Hien N — Google review
At Le Meurice, the promise of breakfast carries a certain romance — the anticipation of Paris distilled into a cup and a pastry. Yet my morning there felt more subdued than memorable. The cappuccino, pleasant enough, lacked the richness and finesse one hopes for in such surroundings, its flavor closer to something encountered in transit than in the heart of the city. The croissant was good — crisp, buttery — but not quite the transcendent bite one might expect at this address. In the end, it was a perfectly fine breakfast, but one whose price seemed to whisper of an experience more remarkable than the one served.
Nicolò M — Google review
Dining at Restaurant Le Dali was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first moment, the service set the tone — polished, attentive, and effortlessly warm. Our waitress anticipated every detail with such grace that it truly felt like six-star service. The meal itself was a celebration of flavor and craftsmanship. The langoustine ravioles were refined and deeply flavorful, each bite capturing the delicate sweetness of the sea. The sirloin followed with perfection — tender, juicy, and cooked with such precision that it melted in the mouth. To finish, the vanilla crème brûlée was simply divine: a silken custard beneath a perfectly caramelized crust, easily among the finest I have ever tasted. Restaurant Le Dali is more than a meal — it’s an experience of elegance, hospitality, and culinary artistry. A place to linger, savor, and remember.

Stunning, we were recommended to give it a try! We went for breakfast/brunch here, while it is definitely not cheap, it is absolutely worth it. The pain au chocolate and hot chocolate were amazing, we both loved it. Fruit platter was very nicely presented, too. Further, we loved the room, so beautiful. Definitely recommend going here for breakfast.

An absolutely high-class and luxurious spot with touches of Dali-inspired design. The atmosphere is exceptional, with live music and outstanding, friendly service. They even made a thoughtful gesture for the birthday lady, which was a lovely surprise. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but well worth it.

I’ve would’ve been providing them five / five only for two persons working there ! And I wish the managment focus and teach all other employees in that restaurant to learn from : Juliette & Imes, As they did outstanding service not only with us but from everyone we saw. The others they think if they treated you with smile then they are insulting themselves With a very slow response from them. If this restaurant is fine dining then why our table without towels or cover like the rest I will provide pictures will prove my point. Must educate yours team how to treat your audience before its too late

We went in for the tea time and we chose the champagne menu. The service is impeccable, polite and attentive. The sandwiches are very good and the scones are very good too, especially the pear one. The Cedric Grolet pâtisseries, honestly, aren't worth all the hype, they are nice but that is just it. We have eaten better pâtisseries at the Ritz, at Le Bristol and even at Pierre Hermé. The tea was also lukewarm and as soon as we poured it into the teacup it would get cold almost instantly.

Café Varenne is a charming gem nestled in the chic 7th arrondissement of Paris, perfect for those leisurely lunches that stretch into delightful afternoons. This beloved local haunt sits at the intersection of rue du Bac and rue de Varenne, just a stone's throw from the official residence of France's Prime Minister. The café boasts an inviting atmosphere where you can savor classic French dishes like flavorful Escargots de Bourgogne, served with ample sauce for dipping bread—a must-try!
Very good food and nice location, even though they do not have air conditioning, so keep that in mind if you want to try it on a hot summer day.

Salads were good, the main problem is Coca Cola almost 7€ and water almost 10€ very not cool! A 1000% markup is simply to to much. Ask for tap water

While it looks like a decent French restaurant the food quality does not match neither initial impression nor the prices. Eggs under mayonnaise were overcooked, onions in French onion soup were only slightly cooked and not caramelized, and the steaks were raw inside!! I did not expect such subpar quality from a French establishment. It feels like they are trying to serve as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time forgoing the quality of the food. Highly disappointing.

Cafe Varenne was a great stop after the Rodin museum.Matthieu was our server and he was attentive and courteous. Duck confit, chicken, fish and steak tartare, plus a few starters and dessert were well received.

If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. We had the French onion soup, escargot, foie gras, hanger steak with shallot sauce, and duck confit. Service was friendly. Not the greatest representation of each dish here but not the worst either. French onion soup (2/5) : was watery, beef stock not very rich, onions not very caramelized, overall flavour was lacking for a French onion soup but it was tasty enough (like a light onion-y broth) to drink. Escargot (4/5) : garlic parsley butter escargot, emphasis on the parsley with a hint of garlic - pretty good Foie gras (5/5) - on bread, delicious, flavour was great. fatty like butter, personally would not eat it off bread. Hanger steak (3/5) : not bad, not great. medium rare is more a medium between rare and bleu - order medium if you’re squeamish about rare. Salad was fresh, fries good not great. Duck confit (3.5/5) : some tender parts, edges of the duck tended to be tougher. Skin was crispy.

**Update: Ask for Alex - Merci pour ce bon moment :) What more could you ask for than good food, drinks , staff and people watching. They welcome non-Parisians so please don’t be intimidated! Sit outside, have a glass of wine, order some food and PLEASE have some damn dessert! I came here in October 2025 after doing a whole lot of shopping and walking around the neighbourhood. I embarrassed myself in the first 10 minutes dropping my knife while trying to enjoy bread and butter and knowing 2 words of French. Trust me, as an awkward American if I can sit here for 3 hours after making a fool of myself, you can order some food! The staff are all so nice, professional and fast. Idk how they do it everyday, all day. I spent my night doing lots of people and dog watching while enjoying really yummy food. I think their desserts are the best part, so say yes to whatever they offer! There’s a good mix of regulars, locals and tourists so just give it a try because the place gets busy if you don’t. Trust me you won’t regret it, I went back multiple times!

Restaurant
Phở Tài is a popular Vietnamese restaurant located in Paris, known for its classic dishes like pho soups and noodles with beef. The restaurant was started by Chef Te in 1968 and has gained a strong following among food enthusiasts. It has received the Michelin Bib award for six consecutive years, standing out for its flavorful offerings such as dumplings, crispy chicken with fresh ginger, bo bun, and of course, pho soups.
The rumors are true — this place is excellent. Very well made pho. Portions are incredibly generous. I struggled to finish my bowl, they gave us so much. As good as the pho is, the beouf sate piquante / spicy beef sate soup was the standout for me. Incredible combination of deep, rich flavor.
Jonathan T — Google review
Decent pho but not amazing, needs to be served hotter. Also the Bun Bo Bue noodles were all chopped up and between 2-5cm long. Couldn’t eat the noodles properly. Really ruined the experience. Got the Pho Dac Biet and the Bun Bo Hue. The soups came out somewhat hot, but not very hot. Could sip instantly and didn’t need to cool down. Within a few minutes the soup was just kind of warm and not very enjoyable to eat. Pho Dac biet is tasty but very sweet, too sweet for my tastes. It’s also quite fatty, and not the clearest broth. The cuts of beef were all delicious and plentiful and the brisket was cooked perfectly and sliced thick. Bun Bo Hue is not very authentic, the flavor is lacking quite a lot. Doesn’t taste like BBH you get in Vietnam. But worst of all, the noodles were very short. They seemed all cut up. I’m not sure. Couldn’t pick up and slurp the noodles. Really disappointing and made eating the dish difficult. Quite a letdown since it was so highly recommended. We decided to bring the rest home to heat up properly and enjoy to its max potential, but to go containers cost €1 each. I’ve never seen this before in Paris. The food isn’t bad, but the fact that it was served barely hot and cooled down so quickly, and BBH noodles were chopped up, really took away from the experience.
Harry C — Google review
The food was really good, I really recommend the pho and rice. Today we’ve tried a mango duck (S1 on the menu), the mango surprises me, but the mango flavor is not strong enough as what I’ve expected. However the duck meat was first fried and cooked, well cooked and tasty!
YF H — Google review
Heavenly broth 🙌🏻 also very very generous portions, lots of nice springy Pho and a hearty serving of meat. Staff are lovely, one lady even plucked the leaves of the garnish to show me the best way to enjoy it 😘 I think they won some awards, maybe even a Michelin star or two, and they definitely deserve every award they get!!

Came here with my friend and she suggested ordering the two ‘laksa style’ soup noodle, and they were delicious! Also like the Vietnamese rice roll, yummy!
Emily C — Google review
A place to avoid. My pho came cold and it was pho with raw meat. Supposedly the meat should cook in the broth, this didn’t happen because the broth came cold. I asked them to heat it, they took it from me and microwaved it for 1 minute and gave it back to me cold again. They don’t care about the customers and they are very arrogant. Never go there. The is picture of all the meat I had to remove to be able to eat this dish
Ebram G — Google review
Misguided. The Michelin Guide, as advertised on social media and on their official website, does not do this restaurant justice. Another reviewer mentioned this too. I didn’t believe it, so I decided to try it myself. Unfortunately, they were right. The food was absurdly mid, nothing special, just an average bowl of pho. Definitely not Michelin Guide worthy. The service was even worse, except for the kind old man with grey hair, who was the only pleasant part of my visit. The overall attitude and body language of the staff were unwelcoming. When you walk in, no greeting, no smile, they just point to a table and expect you to sit down. I asked the owner a question, and she stood three tables away, leaning forward like she couldn’t be bothered to come closer. When she couldn’t hear me, she got visibly annoyed before finally stepping toward me to listen properly. My pho was at least hot (unlike some reviews mentioning lukewarm bowls), but then I found a small fly in my soup. When I asked for a replacement, they brought the exact same bowl back, just reheated, same noodles and same toppings I had already added. Completely unacceptable. To make things worse, when I asked another waitress for extra lemon, she rolled her eyes and walked away without a word. I had to get up in a crowded restaurant and go to the counter myself, where thankfully the nice old man gave me the lemons. The owner and waitresses seriously need to fix their attitude toward customers. The lack of respect and basic hospitality is astonishing, especially for a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide. The day before, I ate at Pho 14, and it was miles better in both food quality and service. End result: overrated, disappointing, and not worth the hype.
Alexander — Google review
While we were in Paris we made the trip after seeing it in the Michelin Guide. We both got the Pho Dac Biet and whilst it was good It wasn't really anything exceptional. The portion was very large, the broth was flavoursome but very fatty which made it difficult to finish. The meat was generous of good quality. It arrived a bit cooler than we would have liked. Service wise since we arrived very early initially the staff had time to be attentive and relaxed, however the space began to fill up very quickly and it became quite chaotic. We were not too bothered by this since we were focused on eating, but be advised it is not the most relaxed atmosphere. Overall, we left feeling like we had a decent bowl of Pho but there was nothing particularly amazing or standout about the experience for us.

Kodawari Ramen (Tsukiji) is a ramen restaurant that offers a unique dining experience with its fish-based broth and decor inspired by the old Tokyo fish market. The restaurant's ambiance reflects the picturesque setting of a Japanese fish market, complete with artificial displays of overflowing fish crates and ice. The menu features an exclusive selection of seafood-focused ramen options, such as Brittany sardine, scallop and yuzu, and monkfish with sea herbs.
We got lunch here before visiting the louvre. There was a line out the door at 12:30 but we were seated quickly! The place is packed and you’re immediately transported to Tokyo - the decor is amazing. We tried the classic (sardine) and creamy (sea bream) ramen. It was so tasty - never had sardines in ramen before and it was very memorable.

The most incredible and flavorful ramen I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is deeply immersive, with frozen fish boxes and ambient sea sounds creating a truly unique setting. Even the bathroom adds to the experience, instantly transporting you to Japan. Highly recommended.

Reliving the atmosphere of a Japanese fish market right in the heart of Paris, that’s exactly what Kodawari Ramen Tsukiji offers. From the moment you step inside, the details are incredible: the sounds, the lights, the decor… you truly feel transported. The ramen is delicious and full of flavor. I tried the sea bream broth, light, rich with an egg, and perfectly balanced, and the noodles were cooked just right. The staff are friendly and professional, and the service runs smoothly even when it’s busy. It does get crowded, especially on weekends, so be prepared to wait a bit, or try early dinners, but it’s absolutely worth it. The whole experience feels authentic and full of life. Enjoy 😊

An exceptional spot in Paris — probably the best ramen I’ve ever had in my life. The fact that we waited an hour and a half to get in didn’t bother us at all, because the reward of tasting that menu was absolutely worth it. I recommend it without hesitation. If I lived in Paris, I’d be there every week. A unique place with a distinctive concept and décor. The food is simply unforgettable. It’s worth the wait — just make sure to scan the QR code at the entrance to join the waiting list before getting in line.

This place is honestly one of the best ramen places I’ve ever been to! The moment you walk in, it feels like you’re in a fish market, the vibe is so cool and detailed. The ramen is incredible. It’s rich broth, chewy noodles, and everything just comes together perfectly. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. It’s such a great experience overall, definitely a must-visit when you’re in Paris!

We have never been to Japan, but we are big fans of Japanese food. The concept of this restaurant was amazing: sitting by a “fishing dock,” with boat equipment around, the sound of water, the boat engine, and the staff speaking loudly in Japanese — probably talking about fishing, the sea, and boats. It was incredibly interesting. I had never experienced anything like this before, and I loved the whole atmosphere. The noise, the friendly chaos, the warm and kind staff, and the perfectly balanced design details all made it very special. The recorded sound was at the perfect level, the details were thoughtful, and even the staff’s voices and coordination felt authentic. It became one of my best Japanese restaurant experiences ever. For a moment, I felt like I was living in Japan, right by the water, next to real fishermen. Unbelievable — and of course, the food was excellent, and the Japanese cola was a lovely touch.

Never disappoints! One of the best ramen i've eaten in Paris! You might have to wait a little bit but it's totally worth it. I had the vegetarian ramen and it's so so good! Even if it's cold, it has a lot of flavor, i recommend this one.

Hidden behind an unassuming door is a whole Japanese fish market! 🐟🇯🇵 The moment you step inside, it feels like you’ve been transported straight to Japan — from the bustling background sounds to the lively shouts of Japanese fishmongers. The atmosphere is insanely realistic and immersive! I ordered the classic Shoyu Ramen de Sardine, and it was amazing — sardines with rich pork bone broth, perfectly chewy noodles, and a deep, savory flavor. One of the most authentic ramen experiences I’ve had outside of Japan. 🍜 The decor deserves special mention. You can tell the owner put so much heart into it — fish crates, a retro ’90s dial phone, a small TV looping Japanese commercials, even a slightly dirty dishcloth in the corner (in the best nostalgic way!). Every detail feels intentional and true to the theme. Overall, an absolutely stunning ramen spot. If you love Japanese vibes and authentic flavors, this place is a must-visit! 🌊✨

The restaurant aims to redefine gourmet vegan dining by offering boundary-pushing and intriguing dishes that challenge the notion of meat-focused meals.
Wonderful vegan restaurant with creative dishes and unusual flavor profiles. I had a reservation and was seated within a few minutes of arrival. The restaurant is somewhat small but the space well-used without feeling crowded. Service was friendly and efficient. The appetizer (marinated tofu) was great. The fresh bread provided was perfect for getting every last bit of the sauce. The mashed potato entree (yes, entree) was fantastic! The only thing that wasn't quite as good was the chocolate mousse. It was more pudding than mousse. The flavor was okay but I'd get something different next time. The portions are adequate though small by American standards. The pricing is very fair for the quality of the food, presentation, and location.

Delicious vegan food in the heart of Paris. We had the vegan brunch, which includes a coffee, smoothie, vegan savoury pancakes with deviled "egg" avocado and sweet pancakes with fresh fruit. Everything was absolutely delicious. It was 34 euro per person, which was actually great value when you consider the quality and quantity of the food. Everything was delicious and very well presented. Servers were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend, whether you are vegan or not. My partner (who is not vegan) loved the food.

My partner and I love this place! It’s very good! The food was excellent! The chocolate mousse, sesame marinaded tofu and the elicoidali basil are the best! I would come back here and eat over and over again! The inside was very modern chic!

I got the salad and the tofu and it was absolutely delicious! I feel like it’s hard to find tofu dishes in Europe and this was so good. The space was very comfortable the vibes were good the staff was nice

Fabulous vegetarian restaurant! I’m not even a vegetarian and I really like it. From the pictures it seemed like it was a more a daytime menu, but it’s definitely great for dinner. I love how they focus on seasonal vegetables, the flavors really pop. In my opinion the pasta was a little too al dente, so I wouldn’t order that again, but the salads were great. There’s something for everyone and it’s very unpretentious. Will be back the next time I’m there.

Delicious food (had marinated tofu as started, rigatoni carbonara as main, and chocolate mousse/pancakes as dessert), it was difficult to choose among all the amazing options. It is specified in the menu that the food contains a low level of salt, sugar and oils, making it a healthy option too. We didn’t have a reservation but were kindly allowed a table which was super nice. The atmosphere was great too. Would definitely return and recommend this place!

Nestled in the vibrant Belleville district, Dong Huong Restaurant has been a beloved staple of Vietnamese cuisine for over 25 years. This family-run establishment has transformed from a humble hole-in-the-wall into a bustling eatery known for its delicious pho and an extensive menu that showcases the rich flavors of Southern Vietnam. With three spacious dining rooms, patrons can enjoy quick service even during busy hours.
Was very fortunate to visit their shop when it was before crowded dining time. The owner shared a lot of stories with me about their Vietnamese background and where she has travelled to. I loved their pho as the soup was so clean and healthy yet super rich in ASEAN flavours. I would definitely visit them again next time in town.

So many viet places in the area but not many serve bun rieu. I got a large which I felt was still very small, price I guess was around average. The soup base was great very flavourful but was not hot enough, came just warm and the fish cake was really really fishy, I only ate half of the fishcake. The taste was great but was not hot enough, small and fishcakes bad. Doubt I will return in a hurry. Seems popular with Japanese ppl, waitress didn't speak any English but it's ok u can just point.
Hungry C — Google review
It surprises me how the service and food taste changed in a couple of years in a good way. I had to leave everything and left the restaurant in 2023 when I visited here as the service was really bad and the food tasted terrible. But I came here with my friends and tried few different dishes. Everything was good except the deep fried spring rolls were cold. The soup tasted clean and tasty. Charcoal grilled chicken with lemongrass was great. The service was fast and easy. You should give it a try if you are craving for some Vietnamese food in Paris .

Food tasted very good. We had rolls, shrimp with rice and Soup bowl. Service was quick. Dinner Bill for 2 cost us approx. EUR 35. Its walkable distance from nearest Metro station. Since seating is close by, you will find it a bit loud.
Daniel T — Google review
I got the Bun Rieu. The soup was aromatic and flavourful. The waiter brought me out the shrimp paste for me to smell before ordering, which was a little odd. There was a lively crowd and it was generally a good atmosphere.
Dave J — Google review
This place had great reviews so I thought I’d try it out. I ordered bun rieu but was mistakenly given bun bo hue. I took a bite of bun bo hue before realizing this wasn’t what I ordered. But all I can say is that the one bite of bun bo hue did not live up to my expectation. The noodles were not soft and the broth was pretty bland. The meat was also a bit on the chewy side. The bun rieu was.. also pretty disappointing. I expected an explosion of flavour but instead I got just a hint. overall, it’s alright. service was great though. even though they thought i wouldn’t notice the difference between bun rieu and bun bo hue, this place is okay.
Dau Z — Google review
The Pho which is most look forward to wash not fully cooked that was tasting a little hard, meat potion is small though I ordered a big portion.
Cynthia S — Google review
The Pho tai was ok, there are sauce and herbs but the broth is a bit bland (not flavorful enough) but the meat was ok The Bun Bo Hue on the opposite, the broth is quite strong, you can taste mam ruoc on the broth but the noodles is very hard ( not soft enough) The entree we took was Banh Beo Bi! This one was excellent!

The charming corner restaurant and wine bar, Au Pere Louis, situated in the heart of Paris' 6th arrondissement, is a hidden gem known for its French specialties. Their menu features delectable dishes such as onion soup, escargots, duck filet, cassoulet and French fries. Operating daily from noon until late at night, this establishment offers homemade delicacies that will surely satisfy any food lover's cravings.
If you’re looking for an authentic French dining experience in Paris, Au Père Louis is a must-visit. The cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home, and the staff are incredibly welcoming—always smiling, polite, and attentive. Every dish on the menu is excellent, but the escargots were truly the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The service was impeccable, with the team ensuring everything was just right throughout the meal. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Au Père Louis is the perfect spot for a warm, delicious, and memorable French meal. Highly recommend!

This restaurant was beside our hotel. We ate here the first night because it was a long travel day and figured we would venture to other places the following nights. We ended up eating here three nights in a row. The food was good and each night my husband wanted to try new dishes so we figured why not go where we already knew the food is of a high standard. The oeufs mimosa were delicious. My husband preferred this cassoulet to the ones he had eaten in the south where the recipe originated. The sausage and potatoes were delicious. My beef on a skewer with roasted peppers was a generous serving. Excellent wine selection. The charcuterie planche mixte was a good portion size for two but did not offer the variety we had in other bistros. Staff was friendly and attentive. Mix of tourists and locals.
Marie D — Google review
Au Père Louis was recommended to us by our concierge (Erwin) at the Hotel Dame des Arts. We simply loved this place for its cool and local vibe (far more locals drinking and eating here than tourists), the smart cocktail options and a well thought out wine list (bottle of Pouilly Fuisse) along with many traditional French classics made for a wonderful evening (we loved the Cassoulet!). As the evening progressed and it got busier, service slowed a bit only because there was just 2 servers hustling as fast as they could to service everyone while maintaining pleasant and friendly attitudes. We will certainly return and highly recommend this spot for a cool vibe spot in Paris that’s more locals than tourists.
Jeff D — Google review
We decided to visit Au Pere Louis s it was close to our hotel. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a server who asked if we were there for dinner or just drinks. If you are just drinking they want you to stay by the bar. We saw someone who went downstairs and was told to go back up because they were just getting drinks. We were having dinner so they sent us downstairs. We ordered half a bottle of red wine and then proceeded to pick out a few dishes. We decided on razor clams, rib eye and bone marrow. The strangest thing happened. We had one server come and take our drink order first but he would return later to take our dinner order. Before even getting our wine another server came and asked us if we were ready to order. We told her someone had just taken our drink order but she demanded our dinner order so we gave it to her. The razor clams were delicious. The sauce was perfectly salty and garlicky. The rib eye was cooked perfectly as was the bone marrow. Unfortunately the bone marrow and rib eye seemed to lack seasoning. The flamed banana was ok. It seemed like a lot of the alcohol was still in the sauce even after the flaming. The atmospheric was good but the service and food needed a little improvement.

Felt like a very authentic french dinner experience in a bistro/wine bar. Full of locals, cozy and simple ambiance, delicious snails and desserts. The main courses were also good. The ambiance of the neighbourhood is also lovely

Dining at Au Père Louis was a delight: the food was excellent — beautifully cooked, rich flavors and attentive detail. It sits on the pricier side compared to casual bistros, but you’re paying for the quality. There was no English menu, which might challenge non-French speakers, yet the waiter was extremely polite, patient, and helpful in guiding selections. The setting felt intimate and authentically Parisian . Top tip: The french onion soup here is AMAZING !

Saisons is a charming and inviting restaurant located within the Sheraton hotel in terminal 2 of Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport. Despite low expectations, diners were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional dining experience. The menu features classic dishes and meat mains, complemented by an extensive wine list. Guests praised the accommodating and friendly service, as well as the high quality and well-balanced flavors of their meals.
A Portuguese soul in the heart of Paris. Les Saisons is a hidden gem where comfort food meets culinary finesse. We started with the delicate veal tartare, followed by the tender Iberian pork pluma and the fresh sea bream, all perfectly cooked. But the real surprise? The rum bread pudding with white chocolate and salted caramel… absolutely unforgettable. The chef brings her Portuguese roots to every dish, and the service is as warm and welcoming as the flavours on the plate. Menus start at €29: and yes, every bite is worth it!

Amazing entrecote!!!!! We had entrecote for 1, which we shared, along with the gnocchi and two desserts. For two people it was the perfect amount! The wait staff was exemplary. We made a reservation and showed up on time, and were shown right to our table. Didn't order any alcohol and it wasn't an issue. Just overall, a very friendly and welcoming relaxed experience for dinner.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the best meal at Les Saisons! The new fall menu is outstanding — every dish was perfectly crafted and full of flavour. The pumpkin soup was velvety and warming, the braised beef chuck was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the orecchiette pasta was cooked to perfection. Dessert and the homemade bread - truly unforgettable. The service was amazing from start to finish — warm, attentive, and professional. Compliments to the chef for creating such a memorable dining experience. We discovered Les Saisons thanks to a recommendation from the Roger Lemaire Champagne House, and we couldn’t be more grateful. This is without question a must when in Paris. Highly, highly recommended!

A cozy quiet restaurant with delicious food. We went there without reservation and were warmly welcomed. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they managed to answer all of our questions about the menu and food. Definitely a must visit if you are looking for a typical French restaurant with fresh food. We had foie gras to share and it was perfect. I don’t remember the names of the main dishes we had but they were simply delicious. We didn’t manage to try the desserts but they looked very tasty. Overall we had a great experience and enjoyed our stay. The food is fresh and well seasoned. All I have to say is that this place is a 10/10

The avocado toast was perfection. I think I’ve never eaten a more beautiful avocado toast in my life. There were onions pomegranate and cilantro with Balsamico. Best boulangerie for amazing fruit tarts and croissants! We came across this by chance and we are so glad we decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Despite relatively cheap prices the quality of the food was really good. The food came very fast (actually faster than the wine). Don’t expect anything fancy and be prepared to leave as soon as you’re done - but that didn’t bother us.

Excellent food, and unlike the other bouillons we've been to in Paris, a much more relaxed, unhurried and spacious environment. The food is standard Escoffier - no frills but perfectly done. My companion had the eggs mayonnaise which was standard, I had onion soup which was exactly as it should be, a delicate broth, with well cooked onion and croutons. Her veal was the perfect combination of pinkness inside and charred outside. My boeuf bourguignon was the beefiest tasting meal I've ever eaten. If I've one complaint it was that it was so hot I could barely eat it for 10-15 mins. This is our new favourite bouillon, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Paris.

Le Procope, a 17th-century brasserie located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, is an iconic Parisian establishment that has been frequented by famous intellectuals and artists throughout history. The cafe has recently expanded to include a new Cafe-Glacier lounge designed by a renowned Parisian interior architecture studio. Visitors can enjoy a "Pause Gourmand" formula offering a choice of four desserts and a hot drink for 16.50 euros.
Le Procope in Paris was an incredible experience! The onion soup was amazing—rich, flavorful, and pure comfort. But the Revolutionaries’ Beef Tenderloin… wow! Honestly the best meat I’ve ever had in my life, perfectly cooked with that sauce, the fat, and the little potato tart—just unbelievable! Superb! Beyond the taste! The reception ladies were super kind and welcoming, which made it even better. Only downside: a few too many flies around. But overall, absolutely awesome place! Must go!

A Timeless Parisian Gem – Café Procope Dining at Le Procope, the oldest café in Paris, is like stepping into history — and what a delicious history it is! The atmosphere is full of charm, with elegant decor that feels straight out of the 18th century. You can almost imagine the philosophers and writers who once sat here debating over coffee. The food was simply amazing. I had the beef liver with parsley, and it was out of this world — perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and beautifully balanced. Every dish my friends ordered was just as impressive: full of taste, depth, and that unmistakable French flair. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, and the whole experience felt both refined and relaxed. If you’re in Paris and want a true taste of French culinary tradition in a place steeped in culture and history, Le Procope is an absolute must.
Omid K — Google review
One of the most authentic and atmospheric places in Paris. Being the oldest places it offers variety of classic French dishes which everyone who is interested in Parisian cuisine and history should try. The interior seems to be the same as 200 years ago, it’s like a time machine once you are there. Despite the significant amount of seating capacity I’d recommend to book a table in advance, otherwise you’d need to wait in the live queue. Good choice of wines and desserts. Check the daily offer - it looks attractive

Sometimes you have to eat at a touristy place just because it’s the oldest restaurant in Paris. Although decidedly little French is spoken amongst the patrons, the staff are professional, welcoming, and efficient. We were sat in the back room on the street opposite the front door so it was quieter and cooler. Everything we ate was delicious! And a good price. This was our second visit and we will definitely return!

Dining at Le Procope was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the rich history and charm that fills every corner of this legendary restaurant. Our waiter took the time to explain the menu and made excellent wine recommendations that matched our dishes beautifully. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Paris that combines history, authenticity, and exceptional cuisine, Le Procope is an absolute must. I would give it 6 stars if I could! ❤️

We booked a table at 7pm but came early they were nice to allow us inside ahead of time. We ordered onion soup, coq au vin, duck breast, risotto, ice cream, crêpe and proliferoles. Because we were sharing the soup, we asked for serving spoon but the waiter kept asking why we needed it. He however gave us a serving spoon after we reiterated 3 times that we want the serving spoon. The table was by the window and they kept opening and closing the window so the temp wasn't stable at the table. The food was perfect except risotto that was a little too sour to my taste abd the crêpe that was too sweet.

Le Poulbot is a charming and characterful French bistro located in Montmartre, Paris. This tiny hole-in-the-wall eatery offers traditional French dishes such as French onion soup, duck confit, and escargots. Despite its small size, the restaurant delivers wonderful food in a lovely setting. Visitors have praised the friendly and helpful staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and provide excellent recommendations. The cozy atmosphere inside the restaurant is preferred over outdoor seating due to its popularity among tourists.
The food was delicious and service polite. We ordered the French onion soup, starter salad, beef stew, and duck. The soup was flavourful and the cheese tasty. The salad was a good mix with the salty ham and melon. The duck was juicy and prepared well. The small criticism is the stew needed a small amount of extra salt but you could add it yourself. The overall meal for 2 was about €87 but well worth it.

We had a fantastic dinner at Le Poulbot. We had a reservation for 5:30 pm. The service and food were amazing. The French onion soup was the best I’ve ever had. We had bass, Boeuf Bourguignon, pavlova, crème brûlée, and chocolate lava cake. All were superb. I was hesitant to eat at a restaurant without speaking French, but our servers were so kind and accommodating. I highly recommend Le Poulbot. It was a wonderful experience.

The best thing about this place is definitely its location, right in the heart of Montmartre. Our experience, though, not as exciting. Service was really slow (to be fair, the place was packed), but it shouldn’t take three tries to get bread and butter, no? Food-wise, everything was just okay. The salad was fine, the escargots not worth it, and my brother’s confit de canard was far from filling. If you’re hungry, pick something else. The filet de bar sauce teriyaki was actually good, crispy on the outside just how I like it. The bœuf bourguignon was probably the best dish we had, though still not that impressive overall. I’d probably come back for a coffee and the vibe, but not for a full meal.

Wonderful - without exception. Bustling yet peaceful, indoor and outdoor tables available (October). The staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful. The food? Incredible! The French onion soup was deeply flavoured and garnished with a beautifully nutty gruyère, and the escargot were served in a light yet flavoursome sauce, accompanied by a touch of seasonal salad and traditional bread. For mains, the salad of ham, figs, walnuts and soft blue cheese was an absolute treasure trove of flavours (also VERY big! - I may order the smaller version next time), whereas as the beef bourguigon was slow-cooked, meltingly soft and utterly beyond compare. Amazing and well worth the cost, which was excellent for the prices charged. €90 for two starters, bread, two mains, table water and a beautiful glass of rich, deep red wine.

We spent 3 nights in Paris and ate here twice. The first night we had the onion soup and confi of duck which were both outstanding. The second time we got the ribs and the beef bougenion which were not as good. Ribs were dry and beef was bit of disappointment. However the service was great.

The food is fresh and prepared with love, all staff members were super friendly and personable, and the French ambiance of the restaurant was charming. Prices were fair for the quality experience. La Rotonde, a historic brasserie nestled in the heart of Montparnasse, has been a cherished local haunt since the early 1900s. This iconic establishment boasts an inviting atmosphere with its elegant walnut panels and exquisite Versailles marble decor. Renowned for its delectable traditional French cuisine, La Rotonde has long served as a refuge for artists and creatives, especially during challenging times like the Great War.
An institution and a must visit. English was not an issue. This place very ornate and engaging. Our service was first class. Our hanger steak and Halibut were prepared perfectly. The real star was the Frisée salad. Omg! We had the profiterole for dessert. The ice cream and chocolate were incredible. Prices were very reasonable. The area around it also spectacular.

It's hard to get a table at this restaurant, but it's definitely worth fighting for one. We had a full spectrum of dishes, from fish to pasta, and I can confidently say that La Rotonde serves excellent food. Everything was fresh, fragrant, and served without delay. I particularly enjoyed the aperitif. A special mention to the chef for the Smoked Haddock in Cream and Butter – the waiter tried to steer me away from this choice, thinking I wasn’t familiar with the dish, but I actually know it very well from the UK, where I worked. I love this dish, and the French chef made it even better than the versions I've had several times in London or Manchester. Delicious. However, the biggest discovery of the evening for me was the wine. I really regret not writing down its name, but it was outstanding – a red wine (rich, bold flavor profile with lingering fruitiness and a soft, velvety texture in the end -WOW!), and by far the best I've ever had in a restaurant. I love sweet things, so as usual, I ordered dessert. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The Mont Blanc dessert, although it looked fantastic, turned out to be simply unappetizing in taste – this dish definitely needs improvement. I would have given La Rotonde 5 stars if it weren't for the dessert. I highly recommend this place, despite prices being about 20% above average – it's worth it, beautiful setting, professional service, and great food.

Initially picked this place as it was a Lost Generation haunt, a must see for fans of Hemingway, Stein, etc. Went on Sunday evening and easily secured a table. The décor was transformative to another time, preserving its warmth, charm and elegance. The food was delicious. Very reasonably priced (especially when compared to his other haunts, the Ritz :)) My one and only complaint was a couple with a small dog brought it into the restaurant where it sat in a char and then walked on the table. It’s unhygienic practice and something that makes me shudder in any setting where I am eating. Would still 10/10 recommend however.

Love that the restaurant have QR so you can see menu in your language in the website. Easy to order, quick serve. I had steak and fish dish, very delicious and fresh. The highlight was the dessert that I was recommended. A crisp base with a light, buttery cream, subtly sweet and perfectly balanced in flavor. Lovely restaurant!

La Rotonde is such a classic. The service is good, and the food is just perfect. The onion soup and sea bass are absolutely amazing. I also really appreciate the atmosphere — they’ve kept the old-fashioned design, but in a way that feels charming and timeless rather than outdated. Highly recommended!

Great cafe on the corner. Sat outside, had some wine, fries and a ham and cheese sandwhich while watching all the passersby. Wine was priced fair and good. The fries were great and the ham and cheese came on a demi-baguette.

Les Philosophes is a cozy and lively bistro located on Rue Vieille du Temple in the Marais district of Paris. The restaurant offers classic French dishes such as beef bourguignon, duck confit, salads, and a selection of wines. Known for its commitment to using organic produce from local farms, the bistro lists its sustainable suppliers on the menu.
Amazing spot for really good French food! They emphasize quality ingredients and home cooking. A bit on the pricier side but definitely worth it if you’re looking for a good meal and the vibe of sitting outside in the Marais. I recommend the lamb, it goes amazing with the mustard they give you. The duck confit was good as well but in my opinion the lamb was more flavourful. The wait times are usually long as it’s a popular restaurant so come at an off time!

We were sited in the back room near the stairs to the restrooms. The place is really small and has too many tables that it makes it hard to walk or get in and out of your chair. Everything was in French and it was hard to understand. We waited like 20 minutes until the waiter came to us and help ya figure out the menu. The food was amazing, we had the chicken curry of the day and the steak with a special sauce and french fries. The creme brûlée was really good. All in all really good food, just would ask to be seated in a different area next time and have better phone service to translate the menu.

Great people watching. Fabulous onion soup. I’d pass on the steak frites… fries were good, but both of us got steaks that were not cooked as ordered. My husband loved the country pâté - said it was the best he’s ever had! Give the End of Summer mocktail a try - bright and refreshing, not too sweet. Espresso cake is like a tiramisu and super rich, seemed like it had a liqueur in it. Went back a second time!

i ordered a steak tartar and it is okay. the meat is fresh but there is not much in it . it’s €23 and the quantity is small. I am shock to see the comment from the owner and mentioning other country without knowing the country well and in a bad manner. i indeed looked at past review and photos and found out the quality and quality is a lot less on this dish than before. There must be a reason why they downsized the dish. I can comment on this with the restaurant country but i am not going to do that as that is cultural stereotyping.

Possibly the best french onion soup in Paris. Outstanding on every level. The floating island desert (île flottante) was a light taste sensation a perfect end to a meal. Service attentive and not in your face. Beautiful steak, tender and well presented. A must when in Paris!

Au Bourguignon du Marais is a refined restaurant that specializes in traditional Burgundy cuisine. The homemade beef bourguignon is a standout dish and is highly recommended by food critics. The restaurant offers a set lunch menu at a reasonable price, including delicious starters, main courses, and desserts. Located near Saint Louis Island, the restaurant serves only Burgundy wines to complement the authentic flavors of the region.
Very enjoyable dinner with lovely waitress who helped us get tables with minimal wait despite a full house, many thanks! She was friendly and professional, making the dining experience absolutely pleasant. Started with onion soup with a lovely crust of cheese and escargot which came in adorable cups and tasted delicious. Had the beef tartare as a main dish which was very well seasoned and appetising which left us wanting more despite its generous portions, and the signature beef stew which had delicious chunks of beef inside a rich sauce that goes well with the potatoes and bread. Finished off strong with the chocolate tart which was creamy and luxurious and the profiteroles which were absolutely amazing! The crust was crisp and piping hot, and the ice cream (I think from berthillon?) Was creamy and had a lovely flavour of vanilla.
Wen T — Google review
We ordered three things, the snails, their famous beef bourguignon, and for dessert, the profiteroles with vanilla ice cream. The snails were soft, buttery, and kinda fun to eat. Not bad at all for my first time trying them. The beef bourguignon though… that was deep. Rich flavor, The meat was tender, almost melting into the sauce. I kinda wished for one more bite when it was over. Then came the dessert... the profiteroles. That one stole the night. Cold vanilla ice cream stuffed inside light pastry, sitting in a puddle of warm fudge. And the tiny almond bits on top? That little crunch made it perfect. Service was friendly without being pushy, and the place just felt cozy, very Paris-y in the best way. Would definitely go back just for that dessert.

One of the best food experiences in Paris! We had one onion soup, a started of 6 large escargot, steak tartare and beef bourguignon. All the dishes are extremely tasty, fresh and nuanced. Steak tartare is probably the best I had in my life 😋 they have a great list of french wines and desserts as well! Highly recommend for a lunch or a dinner. You’ll leave very happy and full!

Came here for an early dinner alone. Got a table as soon as I visited, without a reservation. Ordered their famous beef bourguignon, but felt pretty disappointed. While beef was tender, the stew was way too salty. This mask the entire flavour of the dish. However, the dessert- profiteroles was amazing. The server mentioned that the pastry puff was made in house while the ice cream was ordered from an artisan. Would return for the dessert, but not for the beef bourguignon. Servers were all friendly and helpful, which made the entire experience pleasant.

Oh my!!! This place can have extra stars ⭐️ ⭐️ for the best and most delicious dish ever and the awesome staff! The first day shared with my sis (yeap, went twice) their Onion Soup with emmental cheese and the Boeuf Bourguignon (beef stew) “their specialty”. The soup was really good but the beef stew stole the show, the meat is so tender pretty much melts in your mouth, the veggies delicious and the broth OMG so tasty, perfectly balanced flavors. To top it off, the amazing service by Victoria, she is one of the reasons for the extra stars. We told her we would be back the next day and it was her day off so she made us a reservation for a table with outside view. This one is a must have when in Paris! Thanks Victoria 🫶🏻

A great find! Found this lovely restaurant on Google and we weren’t disappointed. Relaxed atmosphere, very attentive service. Food was really nice and the wine was beautiful. My wife and I were very happy, as we could have mooched around the nearby streets for ages looking at menus and being unsure. Thank you Google and thank you to all the team who looked after us! You were lovely. Tres bon.

The restaurant was cosy with nice decorations. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, the food was not as good as expected. My friend and I ordered escargot and onion soup as starter. Escargot was not made in the traditional way with the green butter but a stir-fried dish with mushroom. It tasted weird. The onion soup was a scammer for that price. The stewed beef was bitter due to the thick overcooked wine sauce. The vegetables and beef tasted plain. I had a hard time trying to finish the dish. My friend’s burger was okay. The dessert was good though. Overall, it was not a pleasant dining experience for us mainly because of the food quality.
Quynh N — Google review
Good traditional French food. It’s somewhere between fancy and home cooking. The price is also nice for a 2-3 course meal. The servers are very nice but you could clearly tell that they were understaffed. They were working so hard but just couldn’t keep up with the workload and the number of customers. I hope the owner hires more servers for everyone’s sake.

This restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb host and is about a 10-minute walk away. Overall, it was average and a bit underwhelming — I wouldn’t strongly recommend it. The cassolette of Burgundy snails and wild mushrooms was disappointing — the snails were overcooked and lacked the expected tenderness and bounce. The parsley sauce was quite mild and didn’t bring out much of the mushroom or snail flavor. The semi-cooked duck foie gras had a decent texture, but the Sauternes jelly was overly boozy and overpowered the dish. The soft sorghum bread on the side felt mismatched, and the overall combination lacked harmony and depth. We also ordered a steak (can’t remember the exact name), but it didn’t leave much of an impression — not very juicy or flavorful. The only real highlight was the crème caramel dessert, which had a nice touch of orange zest. It was refreshing, balanced in sweetness, and stood out from the rest of the meal.

These guys put the trad into traditional, with decent food, friendly search, typical atmosphere and great value. Wednesday night dinner was a regular affair, filled with foie gras du canard, beef tartae, swordfis and Paris-brest, all of which were excellent. If you want a no nonsense, if not up-to-date, lunch or dinner experience in Paris, this is the place to go, even as a tourist. Recommended!
Vincent R — Google review
My husband and I visited this restaurant during our trip in mid September. They are open late and serve food late which is how we ended up going there. Their French onion soup is watery with no cheese. We tried frog legs for the first time and it was delicious!
Mooj R — Google review
The onion soup was fine. The frog legs and foie gras lacked taste, in my opinion. The beef bourguignon was really not good because the meat was undercooked. The potatoes were prepared separately from the beef and added to the dish later before serving it; therefore, they were hard and lacked flavour. The veal also lacked flavour. The duck was quite good. I would recommend onion soup and duck. I tried crème brûlée for dessert—it was tasty, but the consistency was incorrect. On the other hand, the servers were friendly.

Vibes are so parisienne you will really enjoy sitting there, i think i was unlucky picking a canard plate, the sauce was fine but the meat was chewy, dessert was not bad at all, other dishes of my friends they liked it, friendly staff

French restaurant
Le Grand Colbert is a lavish brasserie in Paris, located in the 2nd arrondissement. It has a rich history dating back to 1637 and was named during the reign of King Louis-Philippe. Initially a shop, it became a dining establishment in 1900. The restaurant boasts opulent Belle-Epoque decor with mirrors, mosaics, and sculptures. Known for its classic menu featuring oysters and steak, it also offers an extensive wine list.
We stumbled across this restaurant after dinner. Saw the menu outside their door and decided to have a glass of wine, escargot and creme brulee. It was so good, we came back 2 days later to enjoy their formal dinner. This is now one of our top fav restaurants in Paris. The rack of lamb, duck confit, escargot, chanterelle mushroom and creme brulee were delicious. Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Thank you Le Grand Colbert for a memorable dinner.

I recently dined at Le Grand Colbert. The food was absolutely excellent — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was spot on, which made for a really memorable meal. The only downside was the service. While our waiter was polite, it felt like the attention was directed more toward the adjacent tables. It didn’t ruin the evening, but it did stand out in contrast to the otherwise outstanding experience.

This classic Parisian brasserie near Palais-Royal offers a delightful dining experience. The food was delicious, and despite the busy service later in the evening, the attentive staff ensured a pleasant atmosphere. The menu features solid French classics, and I particularly enjoyed the véritable boudin, a perfectly balanced blend of sweetness and richness, served with smooth mashed potatoes. It’s a great spot for traditional French cuisine in the 1st arrondissement.

One P — Google review
It was my husband's and my last dinner after spending (literally) a lovely week in Paris celebrating 20 years together. I thought it might be fun to try the restaurant that was the preface for the romantic climax of 2003's "Something's Gotta Give". Playing an accomplished playwright, Diane Keaton wanted to celebrate her birthday at her favorite restaurant. What was nice was how this place looked and felt sophisticated and cinematic much like it was portrayed in the movie. At the same time, tables were not scrunched together (like at Bofinger, for example) and it didn't feel all that stuffy. What was funny was that the menu cover stated "Diner Menu", which made me immediately think of a greasy spoon although the term 'diner' actually means 'dinner'. My French sucks. However, my confusion was not fully misplaced because shortly after we sat at our table, a small bowl of freshly crisp potato chips arrived along with a ramekin of marinated olives. We started with our cocktail of choice, the 15€ Espresso Martinis, which we agreed were among the best we ever had. That might explain why we soon had a second round. The warm rustic bread arrived next with a typically crunchy crust and a soft middle which we slathered with their fresh butter. This led to the appetizers. My husband ordered the 21€ Whole Artichoke Heart which sat on a bed of arugula salad and was topped with a mound of Parmesan shavings. I had never seen a heart that big on a plate. Quite refreshing with nice contrasts in texture. I went full Franco and ordered the 25€ Burgundy Large Escargots. There were nine plump ones in my order, and they were thoroughly delicious and not at all too chewy as they were soaked liberally in garlic butter. The snails were too big for the fancy pinchers they provided, but I speared them easily with the cocktail fork. Our entrees were even more masterfully prepared. My husband had the 31 € Risotto with Crispy Zucchinis and Prawns. The dish was a creamy delight with five succulent prawns accompanied by zucchini and arugula. I went for the 33€ Braised Beef slowly cooked for seven hours and topped with braised carrots and parsley. So tender, much like an amazing pot roast, it could've fallen off the bone if there was a bone. It was accompanied by decadently creamy mashed potatoes and an add-on of buttery 8€ Green Beans. Discretion be damned, however, as we went for dessert. Wanting to replicate the near-perfect floating island he had at Bofinger, my husband ordered the 14€ Floating Island. The meringue was not quite as airy, but the creme anglaise was a winner. I wanted a showy end to my meal and ordered the 18€ Baked Alaska, a delightful rendition of the traditional ice cream cake. It was stylishly flambed with rum. Dessert engulfed in a blue flame is what I call panache. In fact, the whole evening was quite amazing. FOOD - 5 stars...classic French dishes executed with panache and satisfying flavors COCKTAILS - 5 stars...the espresso martinis were impeccable AMBIANCE - 5 stars...genuinely photogenic with a surprising sense of intimacy amid the packed tables...it's no wonder movies are shot in here SERVICE - 5 stars...attentive, responsive, and ingratiating TOTAL - 5 stars...if you're looking for the ideal Parisian dining experience, this be it

I absolutely love foie gras! If you want to try authentic French cuisine, don’t miss this century-old restaurant! We ordered escargot, duck liver, and roast duck — all were delicious! If this is meant to be an experience of French cuisine, then you’re having a laugh. Tonight’s meal was easily the worst we’ve had so far in Paris, keep in mind that these places aren’t cheap. Brasserie
Nestled in the heart of Paris's 1st arrondissement, Brasserie Flottes is a charming upscale eatery that beautifully marries traditional French cuisine with an inviting atmosphere adorned with art. Just a stone's throw from the Tuileries and Orangerie Museum, this beloved brasserie offers a delightful culinary experience. Guests rave about their perfectly crafted soup, which could easily stand alone as a meal, but don't miss out on the creamy mashed potatoes—they're simply divine!
I do not know where to begin the Praises about this restaurant. It is french, it is elegant and it's an acquired Street with the absolute best service and a phenomenal menu to. Chose from. We had a Chilean sea bass for a main course, Avocado toast with a twist for appetizers and a fantastic crepe for dessert. Waiters are professional l, efficient, friendly, proper and they pay attention. This is a must try. We are going back for the 3rd time tomorrow! We also had a French onion soup that was good but not great. That was the only not so amazing dish. Great wine selection!

This restaurant is tucked away in a small alley, yet that doesn’t seem to affect its popularity at all. We went there around 1:30 p.m. on a weekday, and it was completely full. The atmosphere was lovely. You can choose to sit outside, enjoying your meal while watching the lively street scene, or dine inside for a more formal experience. The service was excellent. The waiter who served us spoke fluent English, was warm, attentive, and even had a great sense of humor. We ordered several dishes: Foie Gras de Canard Maison⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌ Rich and flavorful, with that distinctive aroma and savory depth only good duck liver has. Cuisses de Grenouilles⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The taste was somewhat reminiscent of a slow-braised dish, full-bodied and satisfying. The frog legs were incredibly tender, and the portion was generous. Fish & Chips, Sauce Tartare ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌ The fish was moist and fresh, with a delightfully crispy crust. The fries were average, a bit on the soft side. Saucisse de l’Aveyron ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌ A decent, straightforward sausage dish. Nothing particularly special, but solid and reliable. Crêpes Maison ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌ Three soft crêpes served with two sauces, chocolate and caramel. Both sauces were rich and flavorful, though slightly on the sweet side. It might be perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and one I’d gladly recommend to friends.

The restaurant has a refined and classy atmosphere — perfect for a relaxed evening or a special occasion. The beef was absolutely outstanding. Flavorful and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Onion soup was perfect as well. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff made sure everything was just right.

We went there as it was in front of us after a full day of walking and it was the most pleasant surprise. We didn’t have reservation but they were very nice and they found us a table for 4. The food was the best food we tried in Paris the two days that we stayed there.
Katerina M — Google review
This restaurant was recommended by a sales associate while we were shopping at noon. The overall experience felt quite similar to the French meal we had the night before. I ordered the duck confit, which tasted about the same as yesterday’s — rich and flavorful. We also tried the roast chicken, which was good, though not as impressive as the duck. Unfortunately, after the meal, both of us felt a bit unwell, so the overall impression wasn’t very positive.

Bistrot Vivienne is a classic bistro located in the historic Galerie Vivienne, dating back to 1823. The restaurant features a chic yet comfortable atmosphere with plush decor and tables set in an arcade. The twinned dining room boasts deep burgundy drapes, large windows, and leafy plants, creating an elegant ambiance.
Wonderful Lunch Experience – Highly Recommended! We had a lovely lunch at Bistrot Vivienne and couldn’t be happier with the experience. We ordered two main courses – the lamb shoulder and the cod fish fillet – and both were absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. We also had dessert, which was just as impressive. Everything from start to finish was spot on. The service was equally excellent. Our waiter was polite, attentive, and very helpful, making us feel genuinely welcome. If you're looking for a charming spot in Paris with great food and impeccable service, this place is a gem. Highly recommended!

A good bistro in the centre of Paris. The waiters were nice and spoke fluent English. The selection of wine is decent to me. And the steak is good (I ordered medium and it looks like the medium rare I usually have in my country Vietnam)

We couldn’t get in to the restaurant we had planned. This place looked lovely and was buzzing. The staff were amazing. The food was superb. Very good value for such great quality.

This place was recommended by our guide, so we decided to give it a shot—especially since it was one of the few spots that had mille-feuille on the menu! I’d been curious to try this dessert for a long time. It didn’t disappoint as a first experience, though I must say it looks more spectacular than it tastes. We only ordered the onion soup, as we had already eaten dinner elsewhere. The waitress who served us was friendly, though she seemed a bit overwhelmed, so the service wasn’t particularly fast. We didn’t mind that, but unfortunately, we were charged for a glass of wine we hadn’t ordered. We only noticed after leaving, so we went back, and she refunded us. It’s unclear whether it was an honest mistake or not. All in all, despite the appealing menu, I don’t think I would’ve chosen to return even if we’d had more time. The flavors were average, but I wouldn’t discourage others from giving this place a try—there’s a lot of variety to explore.

Here’s the updated version with your addition: Vivienne Bistrot is conveniently located in the 1st arrondissement and offers both indoor and outdoor seating, including charming passerelle tables. The service is friendly, and the food is great. With an extensive menu, there’s something for everyone. I had the smoked salmon and the cheesecake tartines—both were absolutely delicious. It’s also a great spot for people-watching while enjoying your meal and conversation. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by.

If you find yourself in Paris and craving a delicious vegan meal, look no further than Hank Pizza. This charming eatery is part of the Hank chain, which stands for 'Have a nice karma,' and it truly embodies that spirit with its commitment to plant-based cuisine. With an emphasis on sustainability and creating a warm atmosphere, Hank Pizza serves up mouthwatering options that will leave even non-vegans impressed.
Amazing place, did lots of research before going to this place but was completely satisfied of the food and the service. Like other restaurants there are no waiters who take daughter it's us who need to give the order and go be seated surprisingly they call out your name aloud and then you go and get the dishes. There are predominantly 4 types of pizzas a salad and the desert with some drinks. The dessert was not interesting from my personal opinion but all of the things were very interesting. The pizzas were very soft and tasty with the alternatives being the same as original. Very much recommended to go to this place if you are nearby and also would suggest to try out their burgers
Niranjan S — Google review
Have been here twice, once in spring 2017 and just last week. The pizza is pricey at 5€ a slice, but very filling. The "menu" is also a great deal--13€ for two slices and two sides. I was just disappointed that they no longer serve the pizza on the nice wooden cutting boards and instead use plastic trays. The wooden disposable utensils were hard to use as well (the knife wouldn't cut). Would definitely prefer real metal utensils. Overall still a really great spot worth trying and coming back to!
Lily F — Google review
The best vegan pizza in Paris, delicious and generous. Shop is cozy, very cute decoration and staff really nice. Do try their cakes too !
Alice D — Google review
I wish the pizzas were more filling for the price (either by adding more topping or by making the slices bigger). Other than that, a great place. Kind (English speaking) staff, more room upstairs, nice toilets, pizzas are delicious, there are menus available to get more bang for your buck, the paper tray cover has a very fun & informative quiz on it, letting people know why vegan is better for the animals and for the environment. I can really see this place expanding into an international chain.
Ana D — Google review
Great vegan place, awesome pizza, plenty of seating. The upstairs seating area has USB charging outlets throughout the seating area. Friendly staff, would recommend to anyone looking for quick slice.

The pizzas were incredible and I wish I could have tried their cakes/cookies too. But it's mostly for a quick bite, it doesn't really have a restraunt feeling. Really, the sauce on my potato/cheese pizza slice was the best 'cheeze' sauce I've ever had. Also very affordable! Would reccomend taking a menu.
Anne S — Google review
Nice place to eat with quirky stools, sofas and benches. There is more seating upstairs, which gives more space than expected when you come in. 5€ per pizza slice, 2 is enough per person if you're not very hungry. Difficult to match this price in Paris. It's a shame they give you plastic cutlery without asking. They placed it on the tray so it's pointless to return it because they would put it away. It would be nicer if plastic cutlery was given only if asked, although alternative options like wood cutlery could be used.

Located in the popular 6th arrondissement of Paris, Chez Fernand Christine is a traditional French restaurant offering carefully crafted meals made from seasonal ingredients. The rustic spot provides an old-school ambiance and features outdoor tables for al fresco dining. Known for its beef bourguignon and escargots with parsley and garlic butter, this restaurant offers an extensive wine list to complement the delicious dishes.
Our recent lunch at this charming traditional French restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in a posh area adjacent to a high-end hotel, the restaurant exudes an old-school charm with its rough stone walls and classic red and white tablecloths, yet manages to feel surprisingly bright and inviting. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality, particularly from our waiter, Julien. His attentiveness and friendliness were exceptional, making our dining experience all the more delightful. The menu was a celebration of French culinary tradition, and every dish we ordered surpassed our expectations: - **French Soup**: Rich and comforting, the perfect start to our meal. - **Bone Marrow**: Decadent and full of flavor, a true indulgence. - **Escargot**: Cooked to perfection with a delightful garlic butter sauce. - **Traditional French Beef Stew**: Hearty and deeply satisfying, with tender beef and a velvety sauce. - **Duck Leg**: Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill and the restaurant's commitment to quality. The ambiance, service, and food combined to create an unforgettable dining experience that we will cherish and recommend to anyone seeking authentic French cuisine in a delightful setting. We can't wait to return and indulge in this culinary gem once again. Merci beaucoup!

Chez Fernand Christine is a true hidden gem in Paris! Over our five-week stay, we dined here three times, and each visit was a delight. The French cuisine is nothing short of perfection—every dish is impeccably prepared and beautifully presented, from the first bite to the last. The wine and drink selection is equally outstanding, complementing the meal flawlessly. What truly sets this intimate restaurant apart is the exceptional service led by the charismatic manager, Sam, and his warm, attentive staff. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like a cherished regular, enveloped in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The team’s impeccable service strikes the perfect balance—professional yet playful, making every meal fun and memorable. This cozy local spot offers a culinary experience that lingers long after you leave, leaving you eager to return for just one more bite. For fabulous French cuisine and a spoiled-yet-fun dining experience, Chez Fernand Christine is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back!
Julie T — Google review
Chez Fernand Christine serves hearty, well-balanced French classics. The French onion soup hits the right mix of onion and cheese, the bone marrow is rich and deeply flavoured, and the escargot marinade is excellent. Their signature beef stew is intensely flavourful and perfect for soaking bread. Portions can be inconsistent—our server noticed only one chunk of meat in our serving and promptly topped it up so it felt complete. For two people, three starters plus one main was plenty. Reservations are advisable. The dining room is very small, with tables close enough to touch elbows, so it’s cosy rather than romantic—probably not ideal for a first date.

We had dinner here on our second evening in Paris. We shared the warm Camembert with honey and walnuts to start which was delicious, we both had the house special Beef Bourgogne also delicious. This one of those places you don’t want to tell anyone about to ensure it stays the same, BUT surprsingly enough, this traditional brasserie in the heart of St. Germain managed to keep its local clientèle happy while adapting to tourist that just order a starter with coke light. Sébastien thoroughly impressed me, not flinching once when asked to make the French Onion soup gluten-free or bring ketchup for a side order of fries. Wow! A très bientôt, because they also seated me away from most of the touristes ignorantes…

Chez Dumonet is a classic, long-standing brasserie located on a chic street in Saint Germain. This beautiful art-nouveau bistro offers a sepia-toned experience of pre-war Paris and is known for its old-fashioned bistro cooking. The restaurant serves well-executed classic dishes such as marinated herring, pigeon, apple tarts, and boeuf bourguignon.
I came here wanting to try the pigeon millefeuille and the stuffed morels; these did not disappoint! We had a wonderful dinner dining outside al fresco, enjoying the gentle summer evening. The chef and wait staff were so welcoming. In particular, we were looked after by Julien, who also recommended some lovely wines to pair with our dishes - I regret not going with his recommendation of the Mersault to go with the langoustines! It's great to see how much pride the staff here have for their work.

We went here to experience good and authentic french dishes. They did not disappoint. The Manager was attentive. The ambience and atmosphere was very nice. Toilets are clean despite the faulty door handle. The portion are big. The casoulet is good enough for three. The beef bourguinon is good for two. As a feedback, it would be nice if the waiter’s could point this out. It was a good dining experience.

Authentic French vibes. We had a reservation and the waiter decided to sit us on a tiny table next to the door even though there was a better table available, but he claimed it was for 3. All other tables were for 3/4 but only 2 people were sitting on it. We couldn’t fit our plates. We left and that table was still empty. The artichoke salad was so good. The pigeon Mille-feuille was not my cup of tea. Beware that the pigeon will be served rare. The beef bourguignon was meh.
Lamis K — Google review
Ah, Chez Josephine Dumonet — the kind of place that makes you feel like you should whisper in hushed, reverent tones about “classic Parisian dining.” And honestly, it was good… but for 180 euros at lunch, I expected to walk out a changed man, possibly fluent in French and emotionally moved by beef. That didn’t quite happen. We started with the morel mushroom appetizer, which was phenomenal. Creamy, rich, earthy — basically everything mushrooms dream of being when they grow up. I could’ve stopped there, dropped the mic, and declared victory. But then came the mains. I had the beef bourguignon, and my wife went with the filet. Both were solid — comforting, traditional, and fine — but that’s about where the fireworks ended. For a restaurant with this much reputation (and this much butter), I was waiting for that “oh my word” bite that never quite arrived. Don’t get me wrong — it’s good food. It’s just not 180-euros-for-lunch good. You can absolutely find meals in Paris that’ll wow your taste buds and leave you enough cash for a Seine-side bottle of wine afterward. So, yes, Chez Josephine Dumonet is a lovely stop if you want to say you’ve done it — but if you’re chasing a truly unforgettable Parisian meal, there are better ways to spend your euros (and your calories). Rating: 7/10 — the morels stole the show, the mains politely attended.
Jason B — Google review
Great spot for really delicious food served in a cozy ambiance. They definitely get busy so I recommend making a reservation. The truffle steak and beef bourguignon were absolutely sublime. Takes a bit long though to get the food, so order starters if you’re extremely hungry.
Tazin K — Google review
We came here because of a YouTuber said this was the best France food he had. Big disappointment. The homemade pork pate is salty. The duck leg is extremely salty and not fresh. The beef bourguignon is tender but too salty too. The soufflé looks good but tastes weird like melted marshmallow with lemon juice, so terrible that I can’t eat more than one bite. They charged $16 for water! We spent total $142 for lunch and it’s the worst meal we’ve had in Paris!
Mae — Google review
You won’t find this place on a food influencers list but it’s one of the best meals I had in Paris. It was recommended to me by 2 friends who go to Paris annually and say it’s a must go. They were right. Everything was amazing. The smoked salmon, the pork chop, steak au poivre and mille-feuille were all standouts. The server was so hospitable and the wine selection was excellent.

Presentation of the steak tartare could have been better. Watching it being made was great but just a mound on the plate not so much. A bit of garnish is all it needed. Wonderful flavor though.

The menu features traditional French dishes such as escargots, foie gras, beef tartare, and generous salads. The restaurant also serves French wines to complement the dining experience.
We had such a wonderful dinner tonight. The food was great, the view was so nice (we were sitting outside). We had onion soup, cheese platter, artichoke and of course beef bourguignon. For dessert we had the apple tart. On top of that, service was great, Arnaud was super nice and made us feel so comfortable.

An ideal version of proper traditional French cuisine with a view on the famous Place des Vosges. Friendly, efficient and attentive staff, a classic menu, a nice atmosphere with historical references, an interesting selection of wines, and offering a pretty good quality / price ratio. Ma Bourgogne is a very enjoyable French bistro for lunch or dinner, or anytime, actually as they offer non stop service! We had the very French escargots / snails, onion soup, andouillette & frites, with a delicious mustard sauce, the salmon with spinach abd we finished with profiteroles (well balanced flavours, tasty icecream, grilled almonds) and the generous tarte tatin.

Wish I could give more stars. My favorite atmosphere out of any cafe I’ve been to in Europe. Staff is wonderful, attentive, friendly. I had escargot and it was perfect. A little more in the pricey end hut you get what you pay for here. Lovely location too- right across from the park.

We discovered this gem while on our way to Victor Hugo's home across the plaza. We made reservations for Wednesday night August 20, 2025. It was not busy with many tables available. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with its antique furniture and low ceilings, and a strong emphasis on French cuisine complemented by excellent service. I started with the escargot, served with fresh bread, and it was outstanding. Our waiter suggested a red wine that paired perfectly with the escargot. I also ordered the onion soup and the cheese plate, both of which were very good. For dessert, I enjoyed the mango sorbet and the hazelnut ice cream, and both were delicious. The server was knowledgeable and patient, offering great suggestions without pressuring us to choose more expensive dishes or rush our meal. The plates came in perfect timing. MA Bourgogne truly deserves five stars. I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to return on my next trip to Paris.

My wife was kind enough to make a booking for us to have dinner on a Friday evening. Thanks to the weather, it was still warm enough to sit outside and it adds to the atmosphere. We shared an Oeufs Meurette to start, and I had the Boeuf Bourgignon, whilst she had the Truffle Pasta and we shared a Crêpe Suzette for dessert. Along with a bottle of Chateldon water and an espresso the total bill was € 81.00, which was good value. The service was the stand out for us though, the servers were warm, engaging, attentive and genuinely lovely people. Highly recommended...

Au Petit Fer à Cheval is a popular bistro in Paris that has gained influence from American and Brooklyn styles. The space may be a bit tight, but it offers great French dishes. The organic cheese and wine are perfect for starters, while the steak tartare and confit duck leg make for satisfying mains. Late lunchgoers can enjoy the duck confit, pate, beef bourguignon, and creme brulee.
The little horseshoe served food prepared with great care. We ate here twice and everything was very tasty. It's a cafe, so some of the steaks aren't the best cut. But everything is marinaded or seasoned to taste great. Don't miss the watercress soup. I had it twice... it's great. The service is first rate.

Veery cute location and restaurant! Food was decent (however I think the lunch prices are more worth the food quality than dinner). Unfortunately service was lacking significantly. The waiter didn't take orders for 2/4 people at our table (and only realized after he had served the others) and gave an alcoholic drink to my friend who doesn't drink alcohol (this is just a major oversight, my friend speaks french fluently in order in french).

This classic French bistro is an absolute delight! The owner welcomed us like old friends and with open arms; he ensured we got a good table outside - even on a warm Friday evening we didn’t reserve and we didn’t wait. Both service and food were amazing. Classic French bistro food and a great wine selection. This place has history from the late 19th century, and a nice mix of locals and tourists enjoy it: can’t recommend it highly enough.

The service is excellent, but the rooms are fairly small and when I stayed there was construction starting at 7am both to the building next door and the restaurant above me on the 7th floor. Two of the three restaurants were closed in early August and there is no other room service option. The rooms were described as having a view of the Eiffel tower which is quite the stretch since you could only see the tiniest tip. I feel like all of this should have been communicated. You can’t beat the location, but the price should reflect the current hotel conditions and amenities available.

Dined at Langosteria, the Italian restaurant, on Friday, 9/19. Was seated, and no one came to wait on us, leave a menu, offer water, cocktails, etc. Had to wave a waiter down to get waited on. We found the quality of food not matching the atmosphere or prices for such a property. Food was mediocre at best. Just not worth it.

All I can say is wow. This was our first time staying in a Cheval Blanc property and it absolutely blew us away. We booked a junior suite balcony room and it felt like a bit of a splurge, but after checking out I can say that it was worth every penny. The level of beauty, service, hospitality, etc. etc. matches the price. Our terrace had a STUNNING view of the river and the Eiffel Tower as well as Notre Dame. Every request was met with a prompt and friendly response, we were surprised and delighted with all kinds of little gifts and treats in the room, the concierge quickly helped with any and all requests, and the doormen know your name and will walk 3 steps with an umbrella to your car so your head doesn’t catch a single raindrop. We tried two restaurants and they were both beautiful, chic, and incredibly delicious. I may have shed a few tears when we checked out. Truly the trip of a lifetime! Thank you Cheval Blanc Paris ❤️

In the world of hotels Cheval Blanc Paris truly is flawless, intimate and unforgettable! My husband and I stayed with our two Chihuahuas and were impressed by the hotel’s exceptional service and thoughtful pet-friendly touches. The location is perfect, with breathtaking views of the Seine and Eiffel Tower, and walking distance to Paris’ most iconic spots. The rooms are elegant and serene, the dining at Plénitude was world-class, and views from Le Tout-Paris rooftop bar just magical!

I didn’t stay at Cheval Blanc — I was here for an event. But even that was enough for me to be captivated by the breathtaking Paris panorama. Truly one of the best spots to take in the city’s view.

The location is amazing, right next to the Louvre, and the rooms are beautiful and spacious. The light colors and lovely details make them feel so special. The spa is one of the nicest I’ve seen in Paris.

Birthday dinner for my fiancee last week. Food was delicious (recommend the octopus/stuffed vegetables), cocktails were light and refreshing, and service was attentive (but not over fussy). Highly recommend and will return on my next visit to Paris.

Le Petit Prince de Paris is a charming and cozy restaurant located near Notre Dame on the Left Bank of Paris. The whimsical decor creates a family-friendly atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for both romantic dinners and meals with children. The restaurant offers refined French dishes made with high-end ingredients, including a recommended duck platter that can be enjoyed as a main dish or shared as a starter.
We went for dinner and the food was amazing! The meat was so good and the desert was great. It was such a cute little French restaurant. The French onion soup was not traditional but even better than it usually is.

So many things that went wrong with our visit today: 1. We were sat at our table, and upon ordering, were told that we had to leave. We were annoyed and after standing, he then promptly that there was a spare table we could sit at. 2. Service took SUPER long, from entering the restaurant to receiving our food took about 1.5 hours, and we were considered one of the quick ones. Most others took 2 hours. There were only 3 people serving a full restaurant. You could tell most people were impatient that their food hasn't come too. 3. Food was mediocre, and portions were small. Not worth the wait.

Perfect dinner with this perfect restaurant in Paris. Outside the restaurant looks ordinary, does not look grandeur but don't judge the book by its cover as they say,you have to try and dine. Staff are friendly, professionals and most of all the foods are sumptuous down to desserts too! Definitely recommended if you are going to be in central Paris. I had a fantastic and unforgettable dinner with family (7 of us with a child) and they love the food. My nephew,Carl search this place and It was worthwhile trip to the restaurant. Tip: in the picture was the wine they offered and it tasted so good we had 2 bottles! and the price was affordable. It tastes slightly sweet white wine so if you are not into sweet, dry white wine then it's not for you. I had steak and it went well, too. Thank you,we will definitely go back whenever we are in Paris! 🤗💕Merci!

This was a hit & miss type of place. They opened at 7.30 pm but were not prepared when we arrived for our booking. The decor is dated, dusty eclectic. The service was very selective. If you were the 2 young girls on the other table, you got much attention, but we got minimal. My partner got the sea scallop flan & suckling pig & he was happy. The gnocchi, salmon & vegetable tajine were okay. The house red was rough. We left on a flat feeling.

This restaurant was a cute and quaint place with good food and service. It was in a lovely area to go out in afterwards. My scallop and artichoke dish was AMAZING and the flavours were outstanding. It was slightly on the more expensive end but good for a night out.

We will be back for sure. Great service and amazing staff. Very friendly. The food was brought out in a timely manner and hot. Everything we got was just perfect. I actually was not sure I could fit in the apple pie dessert but after having a couple bite, I found room. The restroom was clean.

Lovely food and service! I love the duck platter so much that I finished it all by myself. Other dishes are also excellent! Definitely will come back next time we are in Paris.

I'd give this quaint, historic restaurant six stars if I could. We ate there 3 times during our Paris stay and every meal was cooked to perfection. The staff members speak English which was a big help for us, even though the menu is in French and English. They were friendly and helpful. Again, it really was a SIX star experience that I recommend without reservation. (Not shown are outdoor tables, which are set up when the weather is clear.)

Le Cochon à l’Oreille is a charming and nostalgic restaurant located in the old market district of Les Halles. The cozy Art Nouveau decor adds to its visual appeal, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for patrons. The menu features traditional bistro cuisine, with dishes like confit de canard and slow-cooked pork belly being among the favorites. The chef/owner is highly praised for his culinary skills and warm hospitality, making every visit a delightful experience.
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was excellent, with every dish prepared to perfection and full of flavor. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was very Parisian and effortlessly chic, perfect for a relaxed yet stylish dining experience. It felt like a little escape to Paris in the middle of the city. Overall, we loved everything about this place and will definitely be coming back! Highly recommended.

Definitely would come here again. It was my first meal in Paris and it was amazing. Onion soup straight into the heart🩷. The waiter Cedric was extremely nice - not a usual “european service”. He refilled my water without even asking, was always making sure I like the food. I enjoyed my time there a lot. Thank you!

I quickly looked for a place to eat as we were finishing shopping in Les Halles and decided to try this place. Such a great choice!! My partner was craving steak, so he ordered that and I decided to have the same. Such a great choice. Meat was delicious and the portion was really generous, I think it was really good deal for the price (29 euros), quality and quantity. It came with fries, which were also lovely. I didn't catch the name of the guy serving but he was so friendly and fun as well.

Beautiful little cafe we popped in on the way to Gare du Nord from Notre Dame. Maitre d very French and welcoming. We ordered prawn ravioli which was incredible and my vegetarian friend said the aubergine dish was incroyable! At some point the maitre d came and gave us a wine refill for free! Definitely would not get that in the UK... Incredibly authentic French cafe experience and the menus seem to change frequently too so would love to go back!

We loved this bistrot so much! We had the best onion soup ever, and the steak with black pepper sauce was incredible. The ambiance is great, is a small place with a lot of personality. We will definitely come back! And the service was amaizing, the staff was so nice.

Excellent food and service! We walked-in for dinner on a Friday night & sat outside because the small indoor space was full. The gentlemen who served us was probably the best & most attentive server we’ve ever encountered in Paris, very pleasant. Everything we ate was excellent and the wine was good too. The only downside was that the spring night air was a bit chilly and there were loud (perhaps under the influence) individuals shouting that walked by often. Perhaps because of the proximity to Forum des Halles. Overall, recommend! Would like to try others on their menu next time.
Alika S — Google review
We weren’t thrilled with the wine we chose, but that’s on us—not the restaurant. The food, however, was absolutely outstanding. The French onion soup was probably the best we’ve ever had—rich, flavorful, and perfectly done. Service was friendly and impressively fast, especially by Paris standards. Highly recommend!

Le Dauphin is a trendy wine bar located just a few doors down from the renowned bistro Le Chateaubriand. It attracts an international crowd with its sleek U-shaped bar and offers an edgy menu of small plates that changes almost daily, featuring dishes like snails and cabbage to buttermilk-and-olive-oil ice cream. The large marble bar is the centerpiece of this spare wine bar, complemented by scattered tables around the perimeter.
Extraordinary modern French cuisine. We loved the tapas selections and that way of eating. It’s so fun to try different flavors and textures at one meal. Clams were delicious, my favorite. Everything was super fresh and highly accessible. Even my teenage daughter enjoyed sampling the different plates. Our wait staff were on point, friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Walked in around 7:30 on a Tuesday with no reservation. Already the dining room filling up. I was seated at the bar which I was fine with. The service was lovely from all staff members. Smiles all around. This was then backed up by the food. Yum. I recommend the beef tartare (a top tier one in my opinion). Wine list was diverse and at a range of prices which gives you many options. Food was a little pricey, but definitely well worth it for the experience and good times it brings. 10/10 will be back next time I’m in Paris

This place is ok.. it feels more like a wine bar for light bites before a proper dinner. Although they do have a full dinner menu! While there’s a lot to choose from, there are no vegan options, contrary to what the website says. One of our party was out of luck but they did get a green salad (pictured).. the fries/chips are cooked in beef tallow so while delicious, also not vegan friendly The stand out was the ice cream. The server was explaining how they make it.. and from what I understood, it’s an elaborate process! That involves whipping the cream for HOURS. Never tasted anything like it before! The texture was a combo of something like gelato and ice cream and yogurt

we loved every dish we ordered! Le dauphin opens at 12.30 tho not 12 as shown on google. Came without reservation, was no problem. Wine recommendations where on point. We recommend trying the olives, chorizos and a must are the freshly fried squid as well as the asparagus with mustard on sausage dish (forgot the name but added the photo).

Great food but absolutely tiny portions for the prices. We ate again about an hour after leaving here. Yes, get the sole. It comes with a delicious simple salad and the best French fries I think I’ve ever had. Really nice wine selection too.
Mark M — Google review
Cool place all around. It’s the wine bar of the famous chef from the neighboring restaurant Chateaubriand. They serve a tapas-style menu with small plates ranging from €10 to €30—so if you’re aiming for a full dinner here, it can get pricey. The service felt a bit raw, very much in line with the Parisian vibe I’ve experienced elsewhere. That said, it’s a true local spot—every table around us was filled with French diners. The sommelier, on the other hand, really took the time to understand our preferences. I had to try their fries since everyone on top jaw (a series where they interview other chefs about resturants in their city) said they where great and in fact they where amazing. Honestly, some of the best I’ve had in years. The gelato with olive oil was another standout, and when paired with a crisp French white wine, it turned into a daring, brilliant flavor combo. The pigeon was also superb—rich, tender, and beautifully cooked.

The food was really good. We came for lunch. They offer quite good price lunch menu. Loved the coriander salad. I had sole meunière and it was bomb! Would definitely come again when in Paris to try out evening vibe. Plus points for our waiter, she was alone for lunch service and managed all very well. P.S. French people should start tipping, even for lunch. Its still service 😉

Nestled just a short stroll from the Bouffes Parisiens theater, Le Minet Galant is a delightful French bistro that truly embodies the essence of classic bistro-style dining. With an inviting atmosphere and a menu brimming with traditional French dishes, this charming eatery has garnered praise for its exceptional cuisine. Diners rave about sharing various starters and main courses, all expertly prepared to tantalize the taste buds.
We visited Le Minet Galant during our trip to Paris in March. We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm, having wandered around the nearby avenues and alleys. The restaurant staff was very kind to welcome us in, despite we were half an hour ahead of our reservation. The atmosphere of the restaurant was grand, romantic and intimate. My partner was impressed of how particular the restaurant staff was in setting the right lighting and tone of the restaurant. From a tourist's point of view, it was delightful for me that the restaurant was playing French music in the background, instead of the typical English pop music. We tried our very first escargots in Paris here, and we were very happy that we made this choice. The escargots, soupe a'loignon, and boeuf bourguignon of Le Minet Galant were the best ones we had throughout our time in Paris. I was also in love with the restaurant's signature pork shoulder and Royan ravioles. We had to hold ourselves back from having desserts as we felt that our bodies were at the onset of sickness at the time. That remained a significant regret for us from our Paris trip. We would definitely come back to the restaurant if we find ourselves back to Paris again in future.

Was recommended this place by the receptionist at my hotel and it was fantastic - ended up eating dinner here twice during my trip! Their food & wine menus are both excellent - ended getting the deviled eggs, squid risotto, sea bass, crème brûlée and would recommend it all. Would highly recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice - it's off a quieter street but still has foot traffic for people watching. All the waiters were lovely both times I dined there. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a chill spot with great French food.
Tiffany Z — Google review
We should have known when others reported that their concierge at the hotel recommended this "authentic" French restaurant. Ours also recommended it - they must have blanketed the area for hotels. Mostly English speakers at the restaurant. The service was good, prices a little high but the food was spotty. I did love my mushroom, green bean and parmesan salad but I've never seen that before on a French menu. Others had shrimp in a tempura batter on a guacamole cake - again, not really French but good. We all ordered the Beouf Bourgogne and it was very tasty but unlike any I've seen. It came as a thick slice of beef which was impossible to cut in the crock that it came in. Sauce was good and it came with chunks of potato, lardons and scallions on top. Dessert was a chocolate pie like tart - just OK and a little expensive. All in all yes, the meal was good. It was on the expensive side and it wasn't typical French. Probably wouldn't go back.
Michele M — Google review
I am embarassed to say that I found this restaurant through ChatGPT. I was looking for somewhere close to our hotel but was feeling lazy about researching myself, so coming here was a bit of a gamble. Our expectations were low. What a lovely surprise! The atmosphere was inviting, and the service from the manager was top-notch. We also tried red Sancerre for the first time - worth coming here alone. The eggs mimosa and fried shrimp were both delicious. Unfortunately, my French onion soup was bland and lacked depth of flavor, which was quite disappointing. The fish, however, was very good. No room for dessert by the end!
Chris C — Google review
A true gem. In a city with so many competing restaurants serving the exact same menu, the food still impressed. Foreigner friendly with English menus but still filled with mostly French locals. Steak Tartare, escargots and duck confit were all fantastic. Only negative is that it is very understaffed, hence service can be a little slow. As long as you’re not in a rush, it is enjoyable to sit outside and people watch.

Fantastic little bouillon with a local vibe and delicious food. We had the vegetarian blanquette on a cold wintery day and it was pure comfort.
