t-Lounge by Dilmah – Chatham Street is a haven for tea enthusiasts in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It's the go-to place for an extensive selection of unblended teas, including Exceptionals, Gourmet tea selection, Ceylon Green tea, organic selection, infusions, Elixir of Ceylon tea, and more.
I had a wonderful experience at t-lounge by Dilmah – Chatham Street! The atmosphere was calm, quiet, and perfect for relaxing with a good treat. I tried the Pink Tres Leches Cake and the Cinnamon Matcha Tea Shake—both were absolutely delightful. The cake was soft, moist, and had just the right level of sweetness, while the shake offered a refreshing and unique twist with its subtle cinnamon notes blending perfectly with matcha. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. It’s great to see high-quality Ceylon tea being showcased so beautifully on an international platform. A truly proud moment for Ceylon tea lovers, and a spot I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cozy tea-inspired experience.

One of my best loved cafes in Colombo. The interior and the details are spot on. Cozy little gem of a place serving a variety of drinks and food. A lot of foreigners milling in and out of this cafe. They serve a welcome drink in a tiny mug, which is very thoughtful. I was mind-blown by the mungo strawberry drink today. They’ve used flavored black tea with mango pulp & chucks of strawberry to curate the drink, it was truly refreshing with very very minimal sugar. The spicy chicken crepe was great too, the flavors were on point albeit would have loved more stuffing in the crepe. Staffs are quite friendly and welcoming feedbacks. Very cozy little outlet. Definitely my go to spot every-time I need some me time. Prices are slightly on the higher side plus the VAT and tax is heavy on the bill

I had the chance to visit T Lounge in Colombo and it was a truly unique experience. The variety of teas they offer is astonishing and each one feels carefully crafted. The tea experience itself was superb and the ambiance of the place makes it even more enjoyable. The service was a little slow start but picked up later . The food was also very good and paired well with the tea. The place itself is an experience and I’m glad I found this place . Plenty of variety to try their tea and I’d surely come back Overall, T Lounge is a wonderful spot to enjoy a relaxed tea experience. The atmosphere is warm, the tea selection is excellent, and the food is worth trying. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo.

Dropped by t-Lounge by Dilmah and had their katsu chicken burger and Kandy Lamissi Iced tea – absolutely delicious! The portions was generous and definitely worth the price. The menu has a great spread with plenty of interesting options. Looking forward to my next visit!

Recently hosted a surprise high tea for my wife's birthday here. The staff were very helpful (Chamara) and flexible for a lot of my requests. The event went of very well and it was an overall very pleasant experience. Definitely will come back here again.
Jeevan S — Google review
These iced teas were incredible. Honestly, they beat every tea or lemonade I’ve ever had in Europe. Perfectly balanced, super refreshing and full of flavor. If you’re even remotely into tea, don’t skip this place.

Excellent tea house. We were looked after by Dinojan and was an insightful visit as we also learnt about the history of Dilmah and were introduced to a delicious infusion of iced blueberry and clove tea. Would highly recommend when in the Dutch hospital area!!!

If you are Ceylon tea lover, this is one of the best place to try in Colombo. Near Dutch hospital shopping complex. Very clam and quiet place . Ginger cake is very nice 😍 Good place to have a business chat too .

Jetwing Colombo Seven is a sophisticated hotel located in the upscale Cinnamon Gardens neighborhood, just 0.3 kilometers from Independence Memorial Hall. The modern high-rise property offers spacious accommodations with elegant decor and essential amenities. Guests can enjoy stunning views from the rooftop bar and infinity pool, indulge in delicious dining options on-site, or relax at the spa and gym facilities. Nearby attractions include the National Museum and the trendy Black Cat Cafe for a unique experience in Colombo.
We had a great experience at Jetwing Col 7 during the recent stay we had there along with our 5 months baby. Specially we should thank the staff who supported and cared us even from dropping off from our vehicle until we return home. The staff was really kind, friendly & responsive to all of our needs especially when dealing with our baby. The rooftop infinity pool was having a nice view and a calm surrounding. The buffet was also so good. Hoping to visit again whenever time permits. Recommending to everyone who seek a comfortable and smart stay in the heights of Colombo city.

I had the pleasure of attending a professional event at Jetwing Colombo Seven recently, and I came away thoroughly impressed with the venue and the overall experience. The true highlight was the impeccable service from the moment I arrived. Every staff member was welcoming and professional, but a special mention must go to the front desk team, who were exceptionally friendly and efficient. This high standard extended to the catering, as the food was both delicious and beautifully presented, showcasing a real commitment to quality. The event hall itself was perfectly suited for our function, with very comfortable seating and fantastic acoustics that ensured the speakers could be heard clearly throughout the room. While the experience was overwhelmingly positive, there were a couple of minor practical details that, if addressed, could make the guest experience absolutely perfect. The navigation from our event hall to the washrooms was a bit confusing for a first-time visitor, and clearer signage along the way would be a great help. Additionally, a small but incredibly useful amenity would be the inclusion of hooks or hangers inside the washroom stalls. For guests attending functions who might need to do a quick outfit change or simply hang a blazer, this would be an incredibly thoughtful touch. Ultimately, these are very minor suggestions for what was an otherwise superb event execution. Jetwing Colombo Seven is a premium venue that I would highly recommend for any professional or personal function, thanks to its wonderful staff, quality facilities, and commitment to excellence. I certainly look forward to my next visit.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience during my stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and professional, always ready to help with a smile. A special mention goes to Mr. Sanjith, who was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. He guided me through everything I needed to know about the hotel, His kindness and attention to detail truly made my stay even more enjoyable. The food here was another highlight — every meal was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing and peaceful, perfect for anyone looking to unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle. The surroundings, the hospitality, and the overall comfort make it a place I’d love to return to. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service, great food, and a truly memorable stay 😇

The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and offered every comfort imaginable. The amenities - from the pool to the restaurant - were top-notch. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and world-class service. Definitely a 5-star stay!

Brilliant hotel. We were kindly upgraded to a larger room which was a great gesture. The room was spacious and fit a family of 4 with large suitcases very comfortably. The rooftop bar is amazing, and I would highly recommend to stay here. We didn't venture out as we only stayed one night. Close enough to the airport which took 45 mins and the hotel kindly arranged this. Staff were great and food was on point. Would highly recommend!

The portion sizes were also worth the money. The atmosphere was great, and the interior design was both beautiful and unique compared to other places. The staff were friendly, kind, and very attentive. A special mention to Shwetha, who served us with a beautiful smile. Galle Face Hotel is a luxurious 4-star hotel located in Colombo, offering modern amenities while still retaining its old colonial charm. It's conveniently situated just south of the city center and provides easy access to various attractions. The hotel has hosted numerous famous guests over the years and offers a unique evening experience with sunset cocktails on the Chequerboard lawn terrace, accompanied by a bagpiper serenading the flag-lowering ritual.
Lovely hotel. I didn't actually stay here. I just came for the buffet which was amazing. Wide range of breakfast items to choose from. Food that's actually thoroughly cooked AND hot. Also, pork! Delicious pork in different varieties! Pork, pastries and a full café selection! Absolutely wonderful. The staff were exceedingly courteous and professional. I was made to feel welcome; treated with dignity and respect. Much appreciated. Thank you for having me!

Galle face hotel is all about history, colonial charm, and one of the best location in Colombo! The service there is excellent, staff are well trained. The entire property is very well kept, every part is history. It is directly facing the Indian ocean, watching sunsets and sipping a cool drink by kbe of their bars is a must do! This is part of what makes fond memories of Colombo. Let's talk about the room. I have one of those standard room, which is a bit further away from the main foyer. But good thing is, it is closer to the restaurant that serves buffet (excellent btw). Because it's an old property, many parts are made of wood, floor creaks when u walk even window frames are made of wood. The window didn't cut out much noise from the ocean waves and the band playing until around midnight. The electric plugs are old, some of the cables of the lights are torn and pose great risks. The hot water system is intermittent, hot and cold randomly. In my opinion, this part of the property really could do with a make over and modernization. But the room rate is very reasonable. So, all in all, it isn't a bad experience at all. I recommend to anyone to stay here once, to get that experience of staying at a charming iconic hotel.

We stayed two nights here. Staffs are very friendly and assist with everything. The location is very good. We had high tea at their restaurant it was really good. Generally food is very good. You get historical old world experience there. The museum and the history of the place is interesting. I give 4 stars because the place has a bit of smell and lot of moisture. Floors are very slippery we had to be very careful when we walk on them. I will definitely recommend this place.

Colonial looking hotel with a great pool. They have few restaurants to choose from and very tasty. Good selection of drinks. Really good location and we walked all around the hotel in Colombo. Staff are very helpful and friendly. They have an inhouse spa and a salon too.

The Galle Face Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka, opened in 1864, evolving from a Dutch villa into a world-renowned luxury hotel. Built by four British entrepreneurs and named after the Galle Face Green it overlooks, this historic landmark has welcomed many iconic figures over the years — from politicians like Richard Nixon and Indira Gandhi to artists such as Arthur C. Clarke and Harrison Ford. The hotel’s timeless Victorian-era architecture and colonial charm have been carefully preserved through extensive restorations, including a major renovation of the South Wing in 2006, blending heritage with modern comfort. Everything about this place feels exceptional — the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the architecture is simply stunning. It’s easily accessible from the main road, with secure parking available. The atmosphere attracts both locals and foreigners alike, and the rates are quite reasonable considering the premium experience you get. Truly a must-visit gem in Colombo.

Hilton Colombo is a modern hotel situated in the heart of Colombo's business district, offering bright rooms and suites with some featuring ocean views. The hotel is conveniently located near popular tourist attractions such as Dutch Hospital shopping mall, Galle Face Beach, and Gangarama Temple. Guests can easily explore the city with local tuk-tuks available outside the hotel.
I have visited the Hilton Colombo many times, yet my most recent stay was simply extraordinary. From the wonderfully warm and personal welcome to the flawless service throughout, every detail was handled with impeccable care. The Executive Lounge staff were a particular delight, and the thoughtful floral arrangements, generous fruit basket, and sweets added a truly special touch. I was utterly delighted by the incredible room upgrade – a gesture that went far beyond expectation. My guests and business partners were equally impressed, and the evening meals in the restaurant were exemplary. Sincere thanks to Mr Manesh Fernando and his remarkable team – their dedication, professionalism, and warmth set the Hilton Colombo apart. I look forward immensely to my next visit.

All in all, a pleasant stay at Hilton Colombo. While it didn’t quite feel like a full 5-star experience, the front of house staff were a real highlight. Bakhti and Daniel, in particular, stood out — friendly, attentive, and professional. Bakhti even arranged a lovely cake and decorated the room for my parents’ anniversary, which was a really thoughtful touch. The breakfast was a bit chaotic, and the food and drink quality could be improved, but despite that, the hotel is a great base for exploring Colombo. It is very safe, secure, and gorgeous, with a lovely courtyard featuring a water feature and swans. I’d happily recommend it for a comfortable stay.
Sapna G — Google review
The rooms are what you would expect of a 5-star hotel. The service, in general, is good. However there seems a bit a consistent lack of communication within the staff themselves. Also the service was very inconsistent.. When asking certain questions, I get different answers from different staff. For example, whether discount is available for hilton diamond members at the restaurant, or what time late check out is available until. It seems as if it depends on the mood of the particular staff and if they “feel” like giving you the option of a late check out, the would provide it. What bothered me the most was that when I searched up the hilton diamond members dining discount online, it did show a discount for that particular restaurant, and when I checked with the staff that told me there was no discount he then blamed it his “F&B manager”. After more discussion he then said it depends on whether the manager allows it or not….after I showed the website they said “special case” discount. I made sure to double check with the front desk staff and they also said that diamond members “definitely” get the discount at the restaurant. So I don’t understand what they are trying to do there. Additionally, even the prices for a taxi/tuk tuk varies depending on who you ask at the entrance. Our party booked 6 rooms in total for 4 nights, and only some rooms received fruits/snacks on certain days, others received nothing. On certain days towels were not replaced and certain days they were. Some days amenities were replaced, some days they were “forgotten”. Very strange. There’s definitely still some work to be done in terms of overall consistency.

I’ve visited the Hilton Colombo breakfast buffet a few times with my family over the past couple of months, and overall, it’s one of the most enjoyable breakfast experiences in Colombo — though there are a few areas that could easily be improved. Let’s start with the highlights. The fruits and cheese corner is hands down the best in town when it comes to a breakfast buffet — the variety and abundance of fruits are unmatched. The sushi corner is another standout and something you rarely find at other breakfast buffets. The quality, texture, and taste were exceptional. The pancake, waffle, and French toast section was a bit of a mixed experience. The toppings and spreads, however, were outstanding — probably the best I’ve seen at any breakfast buffet in Colombo. There were over ten options, including one of the best chocolate spreads I've had, along with nuts, syrups, jams, and more. Unfortunately, the pancakes and French toast themselves were quite disappointing — dense, not fluffy, and with an off flavor, likely due to the batter and the type of bread used. But this quality issue was persistent throughout all our visits. It’s a simple fix, but one that would make a huge difference in the overall experience. In terms of meat options, there was plenty of chicken — fried, poached, in Sri Lankan curry, and stir-fried with vegetables — all well-cooked and flavorful. However, it did feel repetitive since it was predominantly chicken-based. A little more variety, perhaps with some additional meat and seafood items, would make the spread feel more balanced compared to other top buffets in the city. The bakery section was decent but not particularly impressive — a modest selection of bread, pastries, and muffins that tasted good, though not as exceptional as what you’d find at Hilton’s coffee shop (which, in my opinion, serves some of the best pastries in Sri Lanka!). The salad section could also use an upgrade — there was only one pre-made salad and a few cut vegetables with three dressings. Everything was fresh and tasty, but the selection felt quite basic. Now, the best part — the staff. The service was truly exceptional. My daughter has a seafood allergy, and when we asked if the sushi contained any ingredients she might react to, the chef immediately offered to prepare a special batch just for her — even though there were already safe options available. That level of attentiveness and care is rare and deeply appreciated. The servers, too, were always polite, attentive, and efficient — even on busy mornings when the restaurant was packed, they never let the ball drop. Overall, the Hilton Colombo breakfast buffet provides a delightful dining experience, with some standout highlights — particularly the sushi, the fruit and cheese selection, and the warm, attentive service. With a few tweaks to the bakery and breakfast items, and a bit more variety in the meats and salads, it could easily be the best breakfast buffet in Colombo.

The experience is wonderful. Food is super nice looking as well as taste is wonderful. But the talking about the price point, portion is not values for the price. But overall the experience is super good. Further have to mention on the Happy Hour drink offers. Worth the price. And as at today, 33% VAT is charged. Overall if you are trying out outlets in dutch hospital, Heladiv tea club is a must.

The day I visited they were unable to serve food and their tea selection was minimal. It was not exactly a tea club but just an area with some seats club. The tea I was able to buy was quite bland, the server forgot to provide milk and when milk was provided it came in teenie tiny little thumb sized miniature cup. Not enough to say the least. And, as per usual, it was unnecessarily expensive for what we got. We were the only two customers inside, the atmosphere was pretty boring. Nothing really to look at and the music was so so. Luckily this was only just a stopover, a quick "in and out" situation as we had plans to get on with. So it served as a great moment to sit in an air conditioned room for about 30 minutes. I think that was the highlight of our visit here.

Finally found the only place in Colombo that serves shisha from 8:30AM with correct working hours. However, their expected time of preparing shisha is 30-40 minutes. Hookah is bad but average for Colombo. They do it only on the terrace so the coils are always closed and burn tobacco very fast. They have only Adalya like tobacco or something, so you know the deal. I also had a fruit platter which was served for 30 minutes in the evening. Quality of these fruits were below average, but still enjoyable. At nights, they can miss your request and ignore your asking at all.

One place that have never let us down.. Been there several times now and the service was great and consistant irrespective of the server. Food is always great; in love with the mustard pork bite and the chicken sliders. All the signature cocktails are amazing ( beware of the high alcohol % though 😉). With the all day BOGOF it is the ideal place for a meetup anytime of the day.

Located at Dutch Hospital surrounded by many other restaurants and pubs. Quiet place during lunch hours, but crowded during the evenings. Since most of the people come to relax after work, gatherings. Parking space is common for all the restaurants and need to take a ticket, which is not computerised, but managed by a group of people. Food was good for price especially Caramel Tea. Alcohol is also available. Friendly staff.

Great Food, Great Value, and a Super Smooth Digital Experience! I recently visited Tea Avenue Jawatte and had such a positive experience! The entire staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in.The new digitalized ordering system is truly a game-changer. It was really easy,we just had to scan the QR code, choose exactly what we needed, and then had the option to pay online by card or pay at the counter with the new digitalized system. The efficiency was amazing; even though it was a bit busy at the moment we walked in, this system made placing our order quick, and our food was ready super fast, landing on our table within minutes.A big shout-out to Ishen and his colleagues for introducing the digital menu to us and ensuring we were comfortable with the process. That level of service, combined with the convenience, really sets them apart. On top of the great tech and service, the food delivered! The portion sizes were really good, and honestly, the food and beverages were totally worth the price. Great value all around. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I recently made a special order for red velvet cheesecake which was one of their best cakes. I tasted the cake, it was not as good as it used to be before, the red velvet cheesecake supposed to have sponge cake with sugar syrup but this time it had normal butter cake, also the cream cheese frosting was quite less, anyway I was half way happy with the frosting. Hope your quality improves. The standard of TEA AVENUE has regressed so much 😕 I felt it was not worth for the price, cheesecakes are expensive due to their cream cheese, but this cake had more of cake and less of cream cheese :(( Compare pic 1 and pic 2 ( pic one the cake that I had before and pic 2 the cake I got yesterday)

Cinnamon Red Colombo is a trendy hotel with modern and vibrant rooms and suites. The highlight of the hotel is the Cloud Red, a stylish rooftop bar on the 26th floor offering stunning views of the city skyline and ocean. Guests can enjoy signature cocktails, mocktails, wine, pitchers to share, and tapas while taking in the breathtaking scenery. The hotel's decor is chic and contemporary, providing guests with comfort and style.
The view from the room was absolutely stunning. I stayed for 9 nights, and it never lost its charm for me. The room was clean enough, and all facilities worked well. The staff was kind and helpful. The restaurant and breakfast options were just as you would expect. There are enough options to choose from, maybe more than you need. But, don’t expect a massive selection of international cuisine. The hotel lobby looked slightly dated, but it was satisfactory. A gym is available and sufficient, although it is somewhat limited. All in all, I think it is worth the price, and its location is good.

I had such a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Red Colombo! From the moment I walked in, the receptionist made me feel so welcome, and check-in was super easy. The rooms were clean, comfy, and just perfect, and the room attendants took great care to keep everything tidy. The restaurant staff, security team, luggage counter staff, and managers were all friendly, professional, and made me feel safe and valued. The food was amazing, and the hotel felt super organized and cozy. A special shoutout to the receptionist and call center staff who helped me with a payment issue I had with Rehlat.com — they were so patient, helpful, and really went the extra mile to support me. It made me feel truly cared for! Honestly, every part of my stay — from the comfort and cleanliness to the incredible service — was perfect. I can’t recommend Cinnamon Red Colombo enough and will definitely stay here again when I’m in Colombo!

My wife and I stayed at Cinnamon Red Colombo and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is stylish, modern, and perfectly located in the heart of Colombo. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and offered a stunning city view. The rooftop pool and bar were the best parts perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset. The breakfast buffet had a great variety and everything was fresh and delicious. Every staff member we met was polite, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. We truly appreciated their attention to detail and warm hospitality. Overall, this is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Colombo excellent service, value for money, and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended for couples looking for a relaxing and memorable stay!

I recently visited Cinnamon Red Colombo with my family for high tea, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience overall. The food spread was delicious, and we were impressed by the quality and freshness of the items available. The savory selections were particularly enjoyable, and there was a nice range of drinks to complement the food, which made the experience more complete. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which really added to the overall atmosphere. They made sure that we were comfortable and checked in on us regularly, which we truly appreciated. Their warm service definitely elevated the experience. The dessert corner, however, was a little limited compared to what we expected from a high tea buffet. While the available options were tasty, a wider variety would have made the experience even better. On the bright side, they had a few live action stations, including waffles, pancakes, and sandwiches that could be customized based on individual preferences. This added a nice personal touch and ensured that everyone in the family found something they enjoyed. Overall, it was a very pleasant outing with the family. With a little more variety in the dessert section, it would easily be perfect. Still, I would definitely recommend Cinnamon Red Colombo for a relaxing high tea experience.

A really good hotel in downtown colombo and has really good connectivity too most important regions. Luckily we got a room on the 21st floor with an amazing panoramic view of the cityscape and a bit of the coast as well. The continental breakfast they offer here is nice and has good variety. However, there is room For improvement in some items like the baked stuff the pancakes and waffles. The room was very clean and when we informed that we had booked for a room with a bed and sofa-couch, they moved a foldable bed into our room. Only one point to note is that the staff don't usually help in moving your luggage to the room so it's all up to you to take it to your room.

We stayed at Cinnamon Red Colombo and got there around 9:30 AM. The girl at the reception was super nice and gave us an early check-in by 10 AM really appreciated that! The room was clean and had an amazing city view. The pool was also really nice and relaxing. We went to the Str-Red bar and tried some cocktails, the bartender even made us a one that wasn’t on the menu, and it was so good! The only thing that felt a bit odd was when we asked for bathrobes and slippers, they said it costs extra. Overall, it was a really good stay friendly staff, great vibe, and beautiful views of the city.

The property is beautiful, peaceful, and feels luxurious. Food was tasty, and rooms were spacious and comfortable — clearly a place with great potential. However, the service experience didn’t match the standard the property seems to aim for: • Benefits mentioned during online booking weren’t known to the staff. Guests shouldn’t have to reconfirm what’s already stated in the reservation. • Remarks added during booking were also not visible to the team, causing confusion during check-in. • From parking to the front desk, there’s noticeable room for improvement — lobby waiting time was long, and the room wasn’t prepared in advance despite informing late arrival hours ahead. • Overall hospitality and guest understanding felt below expectations for a property of this level. I hope the management takes this as constructive feedback. With better coordination and attention to guest experience, this could easily become one of the best stays in its category.

Used to be a regular at their old spot near the Colombo court road. Even now it’s same quality, have good parking , menu has lot of options and wide range of drinks and also their desserts are to die for. Went tot his new spot couple of times, burger and the grilled chicken was good and the shake I got. Brownie and cappuccino was good too. If it was situated but closer to a main road would be a great advantage ! Totally recommend visiting this place 👌🏼

Delicious food and a warm, homey place. Prices are a little bit on the high end, but the food is well worth the price. Can get a bit crowded on weekends and week nights. The only complaint I have is the service can be real slow. I've noticed several times that even though there are four or five of the staff behind the counter, but only one person runs around taking orders and bringing the food. So the service is excruciatingly slow when there's a bit of a crowd.

Pretty nice place. There’s seating available on the inside for about 12 people, and there’s more seating in the courtyard. The interior is nicely decorated. It has a welcoming feel to it. We had to wait what seemed like a long time for the food to arrive after ordering, but I can say that the wait was worth it. We had a kebab, a chicken run burger, a fudge brownie cake shake and a double cappuccino. The cappuccino was strong but creamy. The cake shake was exceptional, a little too sweet for my taste, but my girlfriend loved it. The burger was juicy and well presented with soft bread. The kebab too was quite well made. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hope to visit again soon.

Used to drop by there for desserts often. Quite nice place and has got a great atmosphere. Except the fact the interior is a bit girlish. Often I've tried the Brownie Bomb and the Giant Cookie. And, some other desserts. Favorite dessert spot so far. Liked the vibe when it's not so crowded. Takes a while to prepare the dishes though. Different kinda seating arrangements are available. Some games and an entire book shelf to kill the time until you get the ordered dish. And, the light music. Recently saw that they've got a lot of flowers. Suitable place for a date too. Has got parking for reasonable amount of vehicles. Air-conditioned, Good customer service. Tip: Try the giant cookie and the brownie bomb (with strawberries) at least once. You won't find that in the regular menu 😎

The ambiance and the interior is classic and so artistic. It gives you a comfortable feeling to just walk around the place. The food is simply delicious. The ingredients they use here is of good quality and as a result gives the customer a mouth watering experience. Completely in love with the Fudge Brownies and the main courses. The beverages are well prepared and soo scrumptious. Recommending this to anybody who are food lovers.

Not worth the price. So the food there is incredibly overpriced, and so are some of the drinks. I had the creamy chicken pasta and tbh it didn't taste as good as I expected and the quantity was very little! It barely half of a dish. The Nutella hot chocolate I had was also not up to any standard. The only good thing I liked was the caramel latte. Still overpriced, but at least it was good. The staff was nice tho. They didn't give us cutlery when we got our food and we went to get some before they came and offered us new ones. The atmosphere is also nice, although it did get too hot inside at one point because it was overcrowded for an event that even staying outside was cooler.

Mitsis Delicacies, located near the Gallery Cafe, is known for its inviting and laid-back ambiance, as well as its exceptional European fare. The restaurant offers a wide array of homemade breads, savory dishes, and delectable desserts representing American, Moroccan, Mediterranean, Italian, French and Greek cuisines.
Recently visited Mitsis Delicacies, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that everything was perfect throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from. Every dish I tried was full of flavor and made with high-quality ingredients. The presentation of the food was also impressive, making each dish look as good as it tasted. We had drilled chicken and chicken submarine and hazelnut frappe. It was rich, creamy, and had the perfect balance of coffee and hazelnut flavor. The sweetness was just right—not too overpowering but enough to satisfy a sweet craving. It was so good that I honestly wanted to order another one! Overall, Mitsis Delicacies is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food and drinks. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a special treat, this place delivers on taste, quality, and service. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Mitsi’s has had its own vibe, and the last time I was there was in 2020. Dropped in last week, and had the Chicken Biriyani. I think it’s premade and they just heat it and serve. The flavors were quite good, but I’d love if it was served more hot than they did. I also tried their Lemon Meringue and that was delish! I would love to give it a 4/5, but I just can’t make my mind on that biriyani, so I’m sorry Mitsi’s. I only meal well! ♥️ I’ll be back! ✌🏻

Food was delicious and the service is friendly. We had a platter for 2 pax and it didn’t disappoint, the food was delicious. The prawn kebab can be a little presentable and different but can’t complain about the taste. Service was very nice, accommodating and quick. If I have any feedback to give is about the location. The place can be a little more cleaner and the washroom needs a big upgrade and a thorough cleaning. Where you eat needs to be tidy and nice so that was a little off for me so if it can improve this is like one of the best place for food hands down.

I’ve tried maqlooba at all the popular spots, but this one’s honestly the best. The flavors are way richer, and the cashews and sultanas give it a nice little twist that makes it different. A Deeply Disappointing High Tea I visited the Ramada for their high tea buffet last Sunday (05/10/2025) with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing on two main fronts: service and food. Service: The staff were not welcoming, with a noticeable lack of smiles or warmth. We also found them to be inattentive; we had to repeat simple requests multiple times as it seemed they weren't fully listening. This created an unwelcoming atmosphere from the start. Food & Variety: The food selection was very limited and did not live up to the standard of the hotel. Savories: The options were minimal, basically consisting of rottis, sandwitches and a very few types of buns. There was a distinct lack of the variety and local short eats one expects. Desserts: This was the biggest letdown. The selection was just basically cake. The chocolate fountain was dysfunctional—the chocolate was so runny and thin that it wouldn't stick to the marshmallows at all. The Final Insult: When I politely shared my disappointments at the end, the staff member simply said "thank you" without any apology or assurance that they would consider the suggestions. It made me feel as if my feedback was invalid and that they have no intention of improving. A simple "We're sorry to hear that, we will share this with the team" would have gone a long way.

The location is excellent — right in the heart of Colombo, close to the Galle Face Green and other main attractions. The pool area and pool bar are definitely highlights, offering a relaxing space to unwind. However, the rooms are showing signs of age and could really use a renovation to match the hotel’s great location and brand name. The food options were average and could be improved, especially in terms of variety and taste. Overall, a convenient stay with potential to be much better with some updates and upgrades.

Overall, it was a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good buffet with a comfortable setting.

I have stayed at Ramada Colombo many times before, but my most recent experience was very disappointing. During my stay, I misplaced my reading glasses, which had sentimental value as they were a gift from my wife. I am certain they were left either in my room or at the restaurant. Despite informing the staff and even providing the exact time to check CCTV, no one made any real effort to help. I called several times afterward, but the response was careless and unprofessional. While I understand that belongings are my responsibility, a reputable hotel should still show concern and assist its guests—unfortunately, this was not the case. Housekeeping was also below standard. The room was not properly cleaned, and I was once served watermelon juice in a visibly dirty glass, which was unacceptable. Although a few staff members were helpful, overall service and management failed to meet expectations. Sadly, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Ramada Colombo anymore

There were several other options for beverages , you can make your self some tea or coffee with or without milk . even drinks like iced coffee and some fruit juice were available.. moreover there were Srilankan food meaning rotti, and curries along with rice and stuffs. we also had sushi , sandwiches and a bowl of fried rice with chicken ... There were soo many food I have listed only few of them ... you would also find varieties of deserts plus ice cream they tasted next level... overall I love the experience, The service was great and oh the ambience there was superb.

We are Platinum members of Wyndham Rewards. This is the 3rd time we are staying in this hotel using Rewards Points. Last stay was only a few days ago for two nights. We were given breakfast on both previous stays and while we were at breakfast today (22/8), we were informed by the Guest Relations Officer Madhavi that we are not entitled for breakfast as the hotel (not Wyndham) had changed the policy. When she was told that we were given breakfast when we stayed a few days ago, she said it was a decision taken about 3 days ago, which we do not believe. When I asked her if that is the situation why we were not informed at checking in she said it was a mistake and to compensate for that only the person under who’s name the booking was made, will be given complementary breakfast. This is a bloody joke as they expect one person to get complementary b’fast and the other person in the room who also happens to be a Platinum Wyndham member, to pay for the breakfast. Then when I said this is not what we have experienced in other countries, Madhavi said she will ask the Front Office Manager by the name of Nipun Thillakaratne. Later she called my mobile and said the same as before. I said I’m not willing to accept complementary breakfast for only me as that is discrimination. I then asked Madhavi to write down the names of those who were involved in this decision and also to mention that the hotel has made a decision not to provide complementary breakfast for Wyndham Rewards bookings. She said she has no authority to mention that but wrote the two names on a piece of paper. At this stage I asked her if she has authority only to tell that we are not entitled for complementary breakfast but it can’t be put in writing. This is the worst hotel in over 30 countries we have been to and this is going to be our last stay here. The front office personnel are not friendly at all and are least helpful. Same with the restaurant staff. We have to ask for serviettes, and water. They walk past the tables as if they are blind and dont see that we are waiting for water or a serviette. Wyndham members PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE MAKING RESERVATIONS IN THIS HOTEL. If you want to enjoy Sri Lankan hospitality go somewhere else. Now, I’m sure there will be a reply for this message from the hotel management with a load of bull crap. The picture is the piece of paper with the names written by Madhavi.

Buffet restaurant
Graze Kitchen, situated in the renowned Hilton Colombo, is a top choice for seafood enthusiasts with its extensive array of sushi, sashimi, maki, and various other seafood delights. The buffet includes a dedicated seafood section boasting an impressive selection of prawns, mussels, crab, cuttlefish, and octopus. This restaurant offers live cuisines from Mediterranean to Japanese with live chef stations showcasing the best of world-class dining.
Visited Hilton Graze Kitchen to celebrate my father’s birthday, and it was hands down the best buffet experience I’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. I made an early reservation, and the staff went the extra mile by surprising us with a complimentary birthday cake, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The buffet was priced around nine thousand per person, and it was worth every cent. The food choices were extensive and delicious something for everyone! The ambiance was calm and relaxing, giving us a peaceful space to enjoy the evening. The staff were incredibly attentive and courteous throughout. Highly recommend Graze Kitchen for special occasions or if you’re simply looking for a top-tier buffet in Colombo. Will definitely be returning!

We tried the weekday dinner buffet at Graze Kitchen, Hilton Colombo, to celebrate my mother’s and father-in-law’s birthdays. We were a group of 8, and I had emailed the team in advance to let them know about the celebration. They kindly replied saying that two complimentary cakes would be arranged, which we thought was a lovely gesture. However, on the night, they only brought out one cake at first. This felt a little uncomfortable as it overlooked one of the birthdays. Once I mentioned it again, they did bring out the second cake, which we appreciated, but it would have been much nicer if it had been handled smoothly without having to remind them. The food overall was good, though the buffet didn’t have as wide a variety as we expected for a Hilton dinner spread. There were sections for Indian, Chinese, and Sri Lankan cuisine, along with a few pasta and pizza options. The Japanese section was a little disappointing — to my surprise, there were no dumplings, and the sushi corner was quite small with only a limited variety. On the other hand, the dessert spread was excellent, with a generous range of sweets that everyone really enjoyed. Service throughout the evening was generally very good. Most of the staff were polite, attentive, and helpful, which made the evening pleasant. The only downside was that towards the end of the night, one waiter came across as a bit rude, which slightly took away from an otherwise smooth service experience. ✨ Overall, Graze Kitchen is a nice spot for a celebration. The food was good, the desserts were impressive, and the service was mostly commendable, but a greater variety of dishes and more attention to detail in handling special requests would make the experience truly exceptional.

⭐ Rating: 4/5 Visited Graze Kitchen (November 2025) at Hilton Colombo for their weekday lunch buffet. The place was packed, mostly with people from formal and corporate backgrounds — so it’s definitely best to make a reservation in advance. The buffet offered a decent variety of dishes for the price (around 7,000 LKR). Taste-wise, nothing was disappointing — everything was well-prepared and flavorful. 💡 Tip: Don’t skip the coffee at the end — a good cuppa really helps melt all that delicious food away.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 - One of the Best Buffet Experiences in Colombo! We went to the Hilton Colombo for the lunch buffet, and it was absolutely amazing! The food variety was impressive – so many delicious options to choose from, covering different cuisines and flavors. Everything we tried tasted fresh and well-prepared. The staff were also excellent – super helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. The service was smooth and professional. From the atmosphere to the food and service, everything was top-notch. Honestly, it was one of the best buffet experiences we’ve had in Colombo. An exceptional dining experience—highly recommended! This was my second visit, and once again, the food was delicious and full of flavor. The spread offered a great variety, and the customer service was warm and attentive throughout. While the dessert selection was a bit limited, the quality was still enjoyable. A nice touch with the availability of cocktails as well. Looking forward to returning again soon!

Graze Kitchen at Hilton Colombo is honestly one of my all-time favorite spots for family and friends’ outings! Every time I visit, the food, the service, and the whole atmosphere are just perfect. Their à la carte menu is absolutely worth the price.. everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious and well presented. I have to be honest though, I tried their dinner buffet once, and it wasn’t really my favorite. The taste didn’t match the high standard of their à la carte dishes. But other than that, everything else has always been amazing! My go-to order is their Tuna Sandwich ❤️ it’s unbelievably good, fresh, and full of flavor! 😍 This time I tried the Seafood Noodles, and trust me, it was simply next level… so tasty and well-balanced! Also, I really want to mention one of their supervisors or managers.. he’s always dressed neatly in full kit and so friendly! He actually remembered me from my previous visit and came over to say hello again, which honestly made my day. That kind of personal attention and memory for guests shows how truly professional and kind the staff are here. Overall, Hilton Colombo’s Graze Kitchen never disappoints. Great food, lovely staff, comfortable ambiance, and service that makes you feel special every single time. Can’t wait to go again soon! 💖✨

I recently had dinner at Plates Restaurant at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. The dinner buffet offered a remarkable variety of dishes from authentic Sri Lankan delicacies to a wide range of international cuisines. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The seafood and grill sections were absolute highlights, with perfectly cooked dishes and a great selection of options. The live cooking stations added a lively touch, and the chefs were more than happy to cater to individual tastes. The dessert spread was equally impressive with everything from rich cakes to traditional sweets that made it hard to choose just one favorite! A special mention must go to the amazing staff who made the evening even more pleasant Mr. Chaminda, Lakshitha, Ayoma, and Chamodi. Their warm hospitality, attentiveness, and professionalism truly stood out. They ensured everything ran smoothly and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. The ambiance was elegant yet cozy, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. My family & I have stayed at this hotel on very many occasions over the past 40 years. We have always enjoyed our stays. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We have stayed a week in this Hotel and had a lovely time. The food is of outstanding Quality. The staff are very attentive. The rooms are spacious with full air conditioning, but you can't open a window. The one thing that I didn't like was the Night club downstairs. Loud music until passed 12pm and longer at the weekend. If you value your sleep then this hotel is not for you ! The Music is so loud invibrates The windows 6 floors up. This kinda ruined my stay here.

The stay was very peaceful and relaxing, with their very comfortable beds. Also the staff was very supportive and courteous, and had created a separate "Indian Counter" after we had pre-emptively mailed them to keep vegitarian dishes separate. The pool area and landscaped gardens were beautifully maintained, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. Overall, my experience at Taj Samudra exceeded expectations. The Taj Samudra is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Colombo, offering the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and warm hospitality. The location is simply unbeatable—right in front of the beach, with beautiful sea views and close access to the heart of the city. For Indian tourists, this hotel feels just like home. The food is excellent, with a wide range of Indian and vegetarian options, and even the breakfast reminds you of India with familiar tastes and flavors. Being a Taj property, the service and warmth towards guests are exceptional as always. A special thanks to Mrs. Dinusha Ranawaka for the room upgrade and for arranging a beautiful sea-view room on request. Her gesture made our stay even more memorable. Each and every staff member was humble, cooperative, and always ready to assist with a smile. One more thoughtful touch – the hotel even has a medicine shop inside for emergency needs, which is very convenient for travelers. Overall, Taj Samudra is the perfect choice for Indian travelers visiting Colombo – great location, delicious food, and the true spirit of Taj hospitality. Highly recommended for both leisure and business stays!

During our recent stay at the Taj Samudra Colombo from 11 to 15 October 2025, my family and I were accommodated in a Taj Club Suite. While our initial impression was one of disappointment — the suite felt dated compared to our previous experiences at other Taj properties, and certain practices did not meet our expectations — what truly stood out was the way in which the Taj team responded. The hallmark of Indian hospitality, particularly within the Taj Group, is their unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction, and this visit reaffirmed that reputation. Upon raising our concerns, the staff acted with remarkable speed, empathy, and professionalism to address them. We were immediately offered an exquisite room upgrade, a gesture we greatly appreciated, though we chose to remain in our suite due to the practicalities of moving with two young children. Determined to ensure we enjoyed the pinnacle of Taj hospitality, the team took several thoughtful steps. They offered assistance with our in-room consumables, and — understanding our children’s early sleeping schedule — they arranged for the hotel’s Chinese restaurant to open earlier than usual exclusively for us. The proactive engagement from the leadership team was exemplary: Front Office Manager Chaminda Dehiwatte maintained regular contact throughout our stay; Hotel Manager Karan Maini assured us that every effort would be made to enhance our experience; and Area Director Samrat Datta personally met with us, listened attentively to our feedback, and ensured the remainder of our visit was comfortable and memorable. Even at departure, their hospitality shone through, as they arranged a private car to take us to the airport, guaranteeing a smooth and safe journey. What began as a stay with a few disappointments evolved into a reaffirmation of the Taj Group’s ethos — that guests’ needs are paramount and every effort will be made to exceed expectations. Under the guidance of Mr. Datta, the Taj Samudra clearly embodies this philosophy, and it is this service standard that will keep the Taj brand at the forefront of luxury hospitality.
Kit K — Google review
We had a mixed experience during our stay. The ocean-view room was lovely, check-in was smooth, and room service was excellent. However, the in-dining breakfast experience was disappointing. The buffet options were boring and some items, like the sausages, were almost inedible. While they did offer live counters for dosa, omelets, and waffles, most of the time the staff forgot to bring the items to our table even after taking our order and table number. Over our 5-day stay, this happened repeatedly, leaving us waiting and often losing our appetite.: Traveling with our 2.5-year-old was also a challenge, as the hotel had nothing to offer for children—no play area, no activities, not even simple things like coloring materials. Compared to other 5-star properties that make families feel welcome, this was quite disappointing. Additionally, the hotel seems designed primarily for businessmen. For example, there was no power outlet near the mirror for hair styling—only a socket clearly mentioned for men’s trimmers. If the hotel is truly intended just for business men , they should not accept family bookings at all, It felt like the needs of women and families were overlooked. Overall, good experience. But a little more attention to details would have been even more better.
Rebecca — Google review
We stayed at Taj Samudra twice within a week on two separate occasions, and both experiences were wonderful. The service was exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The hotel, though an older property with incredible charm and a beautiful sense of history, is beginning to show signs of age and could benefit from some attention to detail and upkeep. That said, its grand spaces, lush gardens, and serene walking areas make it truly special. Dinner at Golden Dragon was excellent — the Chinese food was authentic and full of flavour. The swimming pool and health club are also great, adding to the overall experience. Despite a few signs of wear, the hospitality and warmth of the staff make Taj Samudra a memorable and delightful place to stay in Colombo. I will be back for sure.

Chaminda at breakfast showed us the best app to check trains in Sri Lanka. Our room was facing the ocean which was amazing, especially at sunset. We had the club lounge access and Amar was kind enough to make special drinks for us. The room is spacious and comfortable, massive bathroom with a bathtub and shower. We tried all the restaurants on sites and wooow, all delicious, Japanese was our favourite tho. Thank you so much for having us, we’ll be back for sure 🥰

Very comfortable and pleasant stay I got my room upgraded to Taj Club, and it was very comfortable and spacious to stay with kids. Comfortable room and very pleasant stay. Food is really good and freshly made. Very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. Check in and check out was very smooth. Down side: It was an open parking under the huge trees 🌳. So my car was filled with lots of fall over leaves and bird feces. I stayed 3 nights and I had to clean my car myself every day morning before taking it out.

Nestled in the heart of Colombo, Hilton Colombo Residences is an upscale hotel that provides efficient service and clean amenities. The hotel offers a restaurant, cocktail lounge, outdoor pool, sauna, and gym for guests to enjoy. With panoramic views of the city, harbor or Indian Ocean from its rooms and suites, this hotel is ideal for long-term stays as well as family events and vacations.
From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel warmly welcomed and truly cared for. The spacious suites were perfect for our family modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with breathtaking views of the city and lotus tower. It really felt like a home away from home, with all the comfort and luxury you could ask for. The service was exceptional every staff member we met was friendly, professional, and attentive. They went the extra mile to make our stay special, especially for our child, who was treated with such warmth and kindness. We loved the pool and recreation facilities, which were ideal for family relaxation, and the dining options were excellent (specially Sunday Brunch). The breakfast buffet had a wide variety, and the kids enjoyed every bit of it. Overall gave us the perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and family friendly hospitality. We left with beautiful memories and will definitely return on our next Colombo visit. Highly recommend it to families looking for a perfect getaway!

I have been a Diamond member for a while and have travelled for business and leisure to various Hilton properties abroad. When considering where to stay while on vacation for a month here in Sri Lanka, I wanted to begin our journey right, so decided to book at the Colombo Residences location(as similar to Homewood Suites, they have condo suite style layouts). I couldn't have been more right(and happy) about expecting an awesome experience since Hilton locations have always had a special home away from home comfort while travelling. And this location exceeded all expectations by an immeasurable amount. From the moment I checked in, the evening front desk staff were so kind and warm with their hospitality. As I had Diamond status, I received a very quick and efficient complimentary upgrade to an executive suite on a high floor with possibly the most amazing view of the Lotus Tower. The accommodations were incredibly spacious, modern and comfortable. We also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner over the course of our stay, as the consistency of the exemplary service continued there as well. Extraordinarily kind and knowledgeable staff combined with a diverse variety of quality(sincere compliments to the various Chefs and attendants) food choices across various times of the day, led to a delicious experience. The overall stay reinforced a sense of comfort and safety as well, because the location is extremely secure. It cannot be stated enough how amazing the entire host of various staff members at this location are. Their kindness, friendliness, hospitality and efficiency were incredible to witness. We have already booked and are definitely looking forward to our next multiple day stays at the Hilton Colombo Residences. If you are visiting or traveling through the city, this location is highly recommended, as it checks off all the highest standards of a luxurious Hilton stay, as our stay was beyond perfect.

Overall 5 stars for our stay. The food (breakfast buffet and dinner buffet superb with lots of options and super friendly staff). Check in very smooth (we arrived at 4am so booked the night before). 30m long pool with many lanes and kiddy pools with playground lots of fun for the kids. Also a steam room, Finnish sauna, and jacuzzi inside the gym area. We had a 3 bedroom apartment which had a king bed, a queen bed, and 2 twins. The living room had a regular non fold out sofa. Also 2 full baths, a big kitchen and washer/dryer. The rooms are getting slightly dated but nothing to complain about - everything was clean and the entire stay was good. Thanks 🙏

Had a wonderful stay at Hilton Colombo Residences! The rooms are very spacious and well-designed, giving more of a serviced apartment feel — perfect for staying with friends and enjoying time together in the same space. The staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast spread was huge with plenty of delicious options to choose from. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended for both short and long stays in Colombo

I had the pleasure of visiting Movenpick for a lunch buffet, and it was a delightful experience overall. While the buffet didn’t offer a wide variety, the food was tasty and well-prepared. What truly stood out was the ambiance—the top view from the hotel was breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama of the sea and Colombo city. The infinity pool was another highlight, providing an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Movenpick definitely creates an atmosphere of luxury and comfort. Guests can enjoy a fully equipped gym, dry cleaning services, complimentary parking, facilities for differently-abled individuals, and 24-hour medical assistance. I stayed at this hotel after being discharged from the hospital, and I was truly impressed by the service and comfort. As soon as I arrived, Hassan from the front office welcomed me warmly and assisted with a quick and smooth check-in. He was very polite, professional, and explained everything clearly. I ordered room service, and the dinner was absolutely delicious—well-prepared with generous portions. The intercontinental breakfast was served to my room, and everything was neatly packed and very clean. The room itself was spotless, new, and well-maintained. I’ve stayed at many well-known hotels in Colombo, but I can confidently say this is one of the best in town. I highly recommend it, especially for foreigners, as the location is very convenient. A big thank you to the entire team for their excellent hospitality. I’ll definitely visit again!

Nice location. Buffet isn’t a big spread but it’s alright for a quick breakfast. Rooms are normal spaced too. Clean and tidy. Kinda small pool. It’s great for anyone who’s coming for business, or in a rush. The location is what makes it really accessible.

Satisfied. Clean and tidy rooms. I stayed in a luxury double room on a half board basis. Room is bit smaller (less spacious), but as i booked a single room, it was okay. Service of the staff is really good and I was really suprised about the speed of them, once I do any request. They reacted and fulfilled my requests very quickly. Pool was also very clean and has a nice view of city area and the ocean. It was located in the roof top. For the breakfast, It was like a Sri Lankan buffet, with delicious foods. I was really satisfied with their food also. Resturant also located in the roof top.

I recently visited this hotel for high tea, and while the food was absolutely perfect – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented – the overall experience was let down by a few key issues. The management staff were not friendly or welcoming, which unfortunately affected the atmosphere. On the other hand, the minor staff were polite and attentive, doing their best to make guests feel comfortable. One major downside was the restaurant area itself – it was fully compact and felt overcrowded, making it hard to relax and enjoy the setting. The cramped space really took away from what should have been a calm and enjoyable high tea experience. In summary, the food was excellent, but the hospitality and environment need improvement

The English Cake Company, also known as The Cakery, is a charming cafe in Colombo, Sri Lanka that offers high-quality food without any artificial additives or alcohol. It's a popular choice for afternoon tea and is praised for its fresh and delicious bakes. The new outlet at One Galle Face provides convenient access for those sudden sweet cravings and even offers happy hour cake deals. Customers rave about the delectable cakes, with the Squidgy being a favorite.
Cheese cakes and coffee were great! The manager was there to take care of our experience as well. Customer experience is important since we came here because of the way the manager approached my husband and as I was sitting from the other cafe, my husband called me to have coffee at the cakery instead.

I am absolutely thrilled with the cake varieties offered here. Each one is incredibly delicious, making it hard to choose a favorite. The flavors are rich and well-balanced, with moist textures that melt in your mouth. Whether it's a classic chocolate cake or a unique, seasonal creation, every slice is a delightful experience. The presentation is also top-notch, with beautiful decorations that make the cakes as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate. This place has truly mastered the art of cake-making, and I can't recommend it highly

Tried some cheesecake and mudcake during the recent visit. Hands down, it's one of the very best of cheesecakes I've ever had. It was succulent and felt unbelievably rich. The taste was superb. Wasn't too sweet either. Didn't get a chance to taste anything else because we were already full after a lunch. Will definitely visit again

The cakes here are really delicious 😊 I love their initiative of selling cakes at 50% off the original price after they have been displayed for sale for 4 days! It is a great way to reduce food wastage, so keep it up! I also loved the very friendly service provided, especially from Rebecca! Lovely environment and nice variety of cakes❤️ my family and I really enjoyed our coffee time there. Looking forward to visit again soon!

The English Cake Company at One Galle Face Mall in Colombo offers a variety of cakes and desserts. Some customers have praised their offerings, noting that the cakes are perfect and the staff is polite and friendly. However, there have been concerns about portion sizes and service efficiency, with reports of smaller-than-expected slices and longer wait times due to limited staffing.
Kimodi W — Google review
Nice little cakery Located in the basement of One Galle Face shopping mall. Plenty of varieties sponge cakes, cheesecake, tart, shortbreads- as shown in the video. Staff is friendly and helpful, suggested me Tiramisu cheesecake as I wanted something on the less sweeter side. But most items are overly sweet which is justified as the place specializes in cakes. The coffee was decent. It has limited seating arrangements. Price is okay, the cake and the coffee are an affordable option if need a quick bite between shopping.
Kashfia A — Google review
The place is quite peaceful when we visit there. Prices are reasonable. Staff is also quite friendly and didn't took so long to serve our cappuccino and banana and chocolate cake. Cappuccino is good in taste and cake is also in reasonable size and taste. Worth for the money.
Pasindu D — Google review
This place brought a whole new meaning to the word ‘dry’. I ordered a slice of the passionfruit Victoria sandwich and was genuinely appalled by what I received. What was meant to be layers of sponge cake were so dry it was completely inedible — it ended up in the bin after just a couple of bites. What’s truly unacceptable is that it was sold at full price, despite clearly being stale. This business has a habit of discounting old slices, but this one slipped through, and frankly, it should never have been on the shelf. The service was equally disappointing. The cashier was cold and dismissive the moment I mentioned I didn’t have change. Without saying a word, she placed my order on top of a display shelf, offered no indication it was ready, and turned her back immediately after taking payment. No eye contact, no thank you, no effort. Selling old cake at full price and treating customers like an inconvenience is simply not good enough. I won’t be returning — and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values basic standards of quality or service.

The Gallery Café is a unique establishment that serves as both a restaurant and an art gallery, providing a platform for emerging talents and established Sri Lankan artists. Housed in a colonial bungalow that once belonged to renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa, the café has retained its charm and original vision.
We had a wonderful experience at Gallery Café in Colombo, especially as we were there to celebrate a special birthday dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of rich flavors. The vibe was so elegant, with a warm and artistic atmosphere that made the evening feel truly special. The architecture and design of the space are stunning, a perfect blend of creativity and comfort. It’s honestly one of the most beautiful cafés in Colombo. We also ordered a birthday cake, and it was cute, elegant, and absolutely delicious, a perfect touch to our celebration. Gallery Café is a great place to celebrate special days with your loved ones. We loved every moment and would definitely visit again!
Shanuka R — Google review
Recently, I’ve found myself becoming more interested in art and architecture—largely thanks to my wife’s influence. This café, designed by the legendary Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, is a true gem. As the pioneer of tropical modernism, Bawa’s vision comes to life beautifully here. The space is simply stunning—a harmonious blend of art, history, and nature. The design feels open and organic, with thoughtful touches that reflect both cultural heritage and environmental sensitivity. You’ll even find select artworks on display, adding to the artistic ambiance. As for the food, some dishes were decent, though I’d suggest steering clear of the beef options—they were overly salty in my experience. Prices are on the higher side, but considering the unique setting and atmosphere, it’s absolutely worth the visit.

If there’s one restaurant in Sri Lanka that truly deserves praise, it’s The Gallery Café. This is the only place in the entire country where I actually finished my plate — and trust me, that says a lot! I’ve tried several other restaurants during my trip, but none of them even came close. Most places served food that was bland, greasy, or just disappointing. But here? Every single dish was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality and attention to detail. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than other restaurants, but honestly — it’s worth every rupee. The food, the service, the atmosphere — everything feels a level above the rest. The staff are friendly, professional, and make you feel genuinely welcome. If you’re looking for real, delicious food in Sri Lanka, stop searching — this is the place. Everywhere else, I left half my food untouched… but at The Gallery Café, I cleaned my plate and almost ordered more. Absolutely recommended. You’ll walk out happy, full, and already planning your next visit. 🍽️✨

Surprisingly artful and decorated in a very stylish way, this place positively welcomes you in a unique setting. Prices are higher accordingly and with exception of the uncomfortable chairs and the alcohol-free Poya day rules which are part of Sri Lanka culture, we had an excellent evening. Definitely recommendable. Especially the champagne and seafood risotto's were great. Our daughters had a sirloin and fillet steak that were very sizable, a shame their vegetables were not so well cooked.
Dries R — Google review
We had an evening dinner in the outdoor area, a little off the beaten track but well worth the visit. Booking was easy via WhatsApp. Service was attentive, and the menu offered a huge range of both food and drinks. The spicy margarita was excellent, and I’d highly recommend the baked crab to share as a starter. The seared tuna and black pork curry were both outstanding. A perfect mix of Western and local flavours—definitely a spot to revisit. Would be fab in large groups. Pricing on the higher side for Sri Lanka, but pay for quality.

A quaint hidden gem in Colombo! Stunning spot with a great Geoffrey Bawa influence. It’s like eating in the most stunning set up. We had a dessert each and it was decent.. would definitely go back to try the other food
Sunaina B — Google review
So the entrance to this restaurant is one of the best I’ve been to and I’ve been to thousands of restaurants (yes I’m giving away my age a bit) so expectations are already set high. The menu is varied from different parts of the world so there’s plenty to choose from. The food prices are amongst the highest in Columbo so again expectations are growing. The service was reasonable. However, it all went downhill when the food arrived. Salty was an understatement. Not just one element of the dish but two of the three main elements. The third was white rice that was literally glued together! Needless to say the plate of food was returned and I left having just drank water (to wash away the salty taste!) Definitely worth a visit for the entrance but after that turn around and get your food somewhere else!

The outdoor terrace is perfect for a casual coffee, while the interior offers a mix of urban and rustic elements suitable for both casual meals and business lunches. The restaurant also offers a variety of distinct flavors from the four Southern states of India on their Chutneys menu.
A excellent place for a meal. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. Had the garlic shrimps which were a good size portion, tasty and fresh. The location is excellent right next to Cinnamon grand in the Crescat mall. They have outdoor seating also. Had eaten there a few years ago and loved it. Its commendablr they have maintained a very high standard through the years.

One of the more hip restaurants in colombo located at Crescat. Ambiance is welcoming and has a very unique touch to it. We visited the place for lunch and were not disappointed. For parking u can either use the Crescat parking or the Cinnamon hotel parking which u will have to pay a fee for. On food we tried the fettuccine prawn and tomato pasta and a Javanese sea food fried rice of which both were tasty and full of flavor. The churros which we got for desert was yum! You need to eat it while it’s hot and dip it in the sauce they provide. The cookie and cream milkshake was nicely made. We also got a coke which came with a orange piece in it which seems to be the trend in most places now and it was good. The service was good and the staff was very supportive and friendly. Overall a pleasant experience and would definitely revisit. Only comment is may be make an upgrade to the menu as this doesn’t seem to have changed over time.

I will be honest I missed the vibe of the Sugar Bistro that we used to frequent at Odel … but the food here at this branch also tastes the same - filling, delicious & simple soul food !! Will always be our go to cafe in Colombo… wherever they are … as long as they can be consistent on the food quality!! Recommended: the burgers :)

Good food, excellent service, but i was surprised to see all prices are before taxes and don't include service. Other than that it was a good experience. English breakfast is worth it - and it comes with onion bhaji instead of mushrooms which is a nice touch - and so are the Eggs Benedict. The Mango and Pineapple fresh juices are excellent. Good coffee as well. We were also served with complementary fruits whilst waiting for our order. Would definitely return to the place!

Another nice place to grab some good food. Lovely ambience. The restaurant located at the entrance in crescent boulevard. Good variety of food and beverages from the menu. And there is a separate menu for burgers. Excellent customer service. Prices in the menu is excluding taxes and service charge. When you get the final bill including the taxes and service charge price is bit high compared to other places.

The Barnesbury was a great place to dine-in at. It had a great ambiance and a good interior. The staff were friendly, prompt and courteous. The place was spacious with enough privacy and the food was tasty. Especially enjoyed their The Barnesbury Special Cilli Prawn Pasta and their Mocha Frappe. We had a mini birthday celebration there and had a cake delivered to our table by the staff and were able to get some good photographs with the aesthetic background in view. All in all, it was a great place. We went around 11 am on a less busy weekend so we sort of had the whole place to ourselves which was fantastic. Plus they have a well kept garden outside with a good view! Totally recommend the place for a private outing especially for a mini celebration with your loved ones.

I recently visited The Barnesbury for lunch with a friend, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad along with an iced Americano, while my friend had the shrimp pasta in pink sauce paired with a berry punch. The food was nicely prepared fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without being overly heavy. The ambiance, while clean and well-kept, felt a little isolated perhaps better suited for those looking for a quieter spot. On the plus side, the staff were attentive and friendly throughout our meal, which added a warm touch to the experience. If you're looking for good food and considerate service in a more low key setting, The Barnesbury is worth checking out.

My boyfriend ordered the crispy chicken and fries dish, and I swear if love at first bite was a thing, this was it. That chicken? Crispy like it trained in martial arts. Juicy like it had been blessed by the poultry gods themselves. And the presentation? Excellent! We lowkey annoyed the staff (okay, maybe highkey) because we were indecisive gremlins who couldn't pick between half the menu. But the person who took our order? Absolute legend. Patient, helpful, and a total gem even though he had every right to throw a menu at us. Would I eat it again? Yes. Would I marry it? Possibly. Would I recommend it? Only if you’re ready to be forever disappointed by all other fried foods. 10/10 would annoy the staff again for another round.

I thought the vibe was great. With board games and a calm, kid friendly atmosphere, the ambiance is wonderful. The antique furnishings and lighting create a special appeal. Although a bit pricey, the meal is great. It's a pleasant, serene atmosphere. Excellent for workspaces; they offer free wifi. A pleasant spot to chill out, even by yourself. They also have a lovely garden and outside seating. The service was quick and excellent, but please don't stare at your customers; instead, allow them some privacy. It makes embarrass us and they just wanted to clean the table quickly

The English Cake Company, also known as The Cakery, is a family-owned bakery that has been serving delectable homemade cakes, sweets, and savoury dishes since its establishment in December 2012 at the Great Market in Battaramulla. Their menu features an array of treats such as brownies, pavlovas, quiches, pizzas, custards, and yoghurts.
Thanks to a recommendation, my friends and I decided to visit TECC for brunch — and we’re so glad we did! Right from the start, the experience was fantastic. One of us ordered the carrot cake, and wow — it was incredible! Moist, flavourful and perfectly balanced, it set the tone for what was to come. For our mains, we shared a delicious spread: the Creamy Basil Pesto Pasta with Parmesan and herbs, Pol Sambol, Feta Cheese and Poached egg Waffle and I went for the Eggs Benedict with grilled mushrooms. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. To drink, my friends had the homemade ginger beer, which they really enjoyed, while I went with a classic black tea — a perfect complement to the meal. Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying dessert. We ordered the Tiramisu cheesecake (which I couldn’t take a picture of) and the Chocolate Squidgy Roulade and honestly, they were both divine — rich, indulgent and completely satisfying. No words can do them justice! We’ll definitely be returning to explore more of their extensive dessert menu. They even offer gluten-free options, which is a fantastic bonus. Highly recommend TECC if you’re looking for a cozy spot with top-notch food and treats.

Went for Mother’s Day high tea. Took my mother and wife. The kids paid for half so it was a nice surprise for them. We booked early, which was a good thing. Food was a bit delayed with the number of orders but the wait staff were really nice. Once the food arrived, any waiting was forgotten. Loved the savory items and the selection was just right. The dark chocolate slice was the best! Great food! Must thank the wait staff for being extra attentive to all the customers.

Cakes in here has always been consistently good and on point. Savoury items are made to order unlike the cakes, Tarts and cookies. Bottled coffee drinks and few juices are also available for anyone in a rush or on the go. I personally love the Double Chocolate Cheese cake. It is quite decadent. Compare to the previous place its Air Conditioned and enough parking.

The Cakery – English Cake Company is a delightful spot! I really liked their bagels, which were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly baked. Beyond that, their cakes and pastries are beautifully made and taste just as good as they look. The café has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive. A perfect place for a sweet treat, or a relaxing coffee break – definitely worth visiting!

I had a great experience here. The place was really nice and had a cozy vibe. The two guys were very welcoming and helpful. The cinder toffee cheesecake was really nice and creamy. They have so many types of cheesecakes there, and they all look really nice. Highly recommend!

Detailed review is at the end and the cake reviews are One slice at a time over the next few weeks! 🫣 ————- Week 04 - The Tiramisu Cheese Cake Tried the Tiramisu Cheesecake this time from and while it was a decent dessert overall, there were a few things that stood out. The cheesecake itself was soft and smooth as always, and the coffee layer added a nice touch. However, I did find myself missing the distinct flavor of mascarpone that usually defines a good tiramisu. The coffee layer could’ve been a bit bolder to leave a stronger impression. Still enjoyable, but there’s definitely room to elevate it further. But I have now choosen a defenite winner which was the chocolate mouse cheese cake. ————- Week 03 - The Key Lime Tart While the zest was on point, the tart unfortunately lacked that signature tangy punch you’d expect from a true key lime dessert. It leaned more toward mellow than mouth-puckering, which left me slightly underwhelmed. That said, I still enjoyed eating it—it had a decent texture and presentation—but it didn’t quite hit the sweet & tangy craving that a key lime tart is meant to satisfy. A bit more limey boldness could easily elevate this into something special. ————- Week 02 - The passion fruit cheesecake The cheesecake was creamy, smooth, and indulgent — but what set it apart was that glossy layer of passion fruit. Tart, tropical, and just the right amount of zing to cut through the richness. Each bite was like a perfect little dance between sweet and sharp, soft and crisp (thanks to a buttery biscuit base that didn’t crumble under pressure). It wasn’t too sweet, which I loved. Just fresh, vibrant, and so satisfyingly different from the usual chocolate overloads. If you’ve never tried passion fruit in a dessert — this might be the one to convert you. ————- Week 01 - The Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. And let me tell you… wow. The mousse layer was a rich, deep dark chocolate—not overly sweet, just beautifully balanced with that slight bitterness only proper chocolate delivers. Beneath that, the cheesecake itself didn’t disappoint. You could taste the full character of the cream cheese; it wasn’t lost in sugar like most places tend to do. And then came the base—oh, the base. Crunchy yet crumbly, smooth with just the right touch of chunkiness, and that little hit of salt that makes you go “yes, this is what balance tastes like.” Honestly, this base gets a solid 10/10. The only thing that could’ve taken it higher would be using Lotus Biscoff biscuits—and in that case, I’d give it a 12/10! 😄 ——————— Detailed review of my initial visit! This is one of those long-standing names in Colombo’s food scene that many have heard of, yet not everyone has truly experienced. I’ll admit, I’ve only been here once before, but on my recent visit to their branch, I was pleasantly surprised—and quite honestly, impressed—by just how affordable their coffee and cake offerings are in today’s economy. The first thing that strikes you is the variety. They have a tempting display of over 15 different cakes—perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth and especially ideal if you, like me, reserve your indulgence for a well-deserved cheat day. Rather than diving into every single flavor at once (as tempting as that might be), I’ve decided to update this one cake at a time, one review per cheat day. While I haven’t sampled their full coffee or food menu just yet, they do offer an extensive range that I’ll be exploring soon. From what I’ve seen so far, everything is well-priced, which makes this a great casual café for regular visits without burning through your wallet. The ambiance is cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. It’s a great place whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or settling in with a book or laptop. And a huge bonus—plenty of parking, which is a rare gem in Colombo. All in all, this is the kind of place that grows on you. Affordable for what your ordering, tasty, and pleasantly nostalgic. Looking forward to my next cheat day slice!

We had a lovely time at The English Cake Company, The Cakery! The café has such a cozy, homey vibe that made our evening really special. The cake was fresh, soft, and absolutely delicious, and the milk tea was just perfect. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy some comforting, homemade-style treats. Definitely a place we’d love to visit again!

With the previous good experience that we had on the high quality of cakes, we ordered the chocolate cake for a birthday in July 2025. The cake was an utter disappointment as it didn't taste a chocolate cake and was very dry. It looked and tasted like colouring added to make it look like a chocolate cake and was absolutely tasteless indicating a clear issue with the ingredients. Being a baker myself, we were embarrassed to serve this to the guests and more importantly, it was a surprise birthday party for a friend. This was brought to the attention of @Cakery soon after and as a compensation the store offered the same chocolate cake or 30% discount for any other product. We did not accept either of the offers since the damage that was done at a special occasion cannot be reversed or rectified. What we requested was to take the products out of the menu if a consistent quality cannot be maintained to prevent future customer disappointments. Yet have seen no change so far. Therefore @Cakery, please take the chocolate cake out of your menu as you cannot seem to guarantee the consistency of the quality of it, which to our surprise your staff already informed us when inquired, if each time the quality differs. And do not add any product at all, for that matter, in your menu if you cannot guarantee the consistency in their quality without disappointing the customers who come back with a previous positive experience.

Nestled in the heart of Colombo, Granbell Hotel Colombo offers a luxurious stay with modern and well-maintained rooms. The hotel features an outdoor pool, fitness center, and a full-service spa for ultimate relaxation. With its convenient location near popular attractions like United States Embassy Colombo and Casino Marina Colombo, guests can easily explore the city. The friendly staff provides exceptional service while the rooftop bar and pool offer stunning views of the coast.
We spent a few days enjoying Colombo City, and our hotel couldn’t have been in a better spot — right in the heart of the city. The view was stunning, and the rooftop pool was absolutely perfect, especially at night when the city lights came on. 🌃💦 The food and service were really good, and the staff were always friendly and ready to help whenever we needed something. If you need a ride, just ask the reception — they’ll happily organize a tuk-tuk or Uber for you. 🚗🛺 From the hotel, you can reach One Galle Face Mall in just 10 minutes by tuk-tuk — super convenient for shopping or grabbing a bite to eat. 🛍️☕

I stayed here alone for one night. The location is excellent, with easy access to all the nearby commercial buildings. The hotel is located directly in front of the sea, offering a beautiful view. The rooftop swimming pool is amazing, and the bar there is perfect for relaxing. The rooms are very modern, and the hotel has an elevator that provides access to all floors. The dining area is very nice, with an international buffet available. Overall, it was a great experience — I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Grandbell Hotel (Aug 2025) and overall had a pleasant experience. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and well maintained, and the washroom was excellent with the latest technology and very clean. It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay overall. The lunch buffet, however, could have been better. The spread wasn’t as impressive as expected for a hotel of this standard, and I felt there was room for improvement in terms of variety and taste. What truly disappointed me was the experience after check out. I had accidentally left my watch behind and realized it just a few hours later. I called the hotel immediately and clearly mentioned where I had left it, but despite several follow ups, I never received a proper response. I was told the lost and found team would check, but they never got back to me and eventually said nothing was found. It was disheartening, as I believe items left behind by guests should be handled responsibly and returned whenever possible. It’s unfortunate that this experience overshadowed what was otherwise a very pleasant stay. With better communication and accountability from the staff, this could have been a perfect visit.

Extremely Unprofessional Reception Staff – Formal Complaint We stayed at this property on 28th October as a group of 18 people. Despite making a 100% advance payment two months prior, our rooms were not allocated until the next day (29th October), and even then, we were split across three different floors. For a group booking with提前 full payment, this level of mismanagement is completely unacceptable. When we raised this concern, the reception casually responded with, “We don’t allocate rooms in advance.” If that’s your policy, then why take full payment upfront? It feels like a straight-up misrepresentation. But the worst part of our stay was the appalling behavior of the reception staff — Kevin and Yonal. They were rude, arrogant, dismissive, and completely lacking in basic customer service skills. They refused to help us or even speak politely, and made us feel as if our stay didn’t matter at all. Their attitude was literally: “Stay or don’t stay — it’s your choice.” We had senior citizens and children in our group, and we repeatedly requested rooms on at least two floors. This is a basic and reasonable request, but it was outright denied without empathy or any effort to accommodate us. The only positives: • The location and views are great • The infinity pool is a highlight • Food is acceptable But none of this can fix the damage done by the unprofessional and disrespectful reception staff. Unless the management improves staff training, I would strongly warn others against staying here, especially if you expect basic courtesy and professionalism.

I had a wonderful stay at the Grandbell Hotel Colombo last week. A special mention goes to Diyana, who manages the fitness center — she went above and beyond by opening the gym early in the morning so I could continue my training for the Ironman World Championship. That kind of thoughtful, personalized service really makes a difference when you’re traveling and trying to stay consistent with your goals. Diyana’s professionalism, kindness, and smile made my day, and I’m truly grateful for her support. I hope more hotels around the world will follow this example and allow athletes early access to gym facilities — it’s a small gesture that means a lot. Thank you again to the team for such outstanding hospitality!

The room was neat, clean, and well-maintained. The sea view was truly amazing—just a road and railway line between the hotel and the beach. The rooftop swimming pool and open bar added a great touch to the experience. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent throughout. I highly recommend this hotel for families, business travelers, and anyone looking to relax and enjoy a beautiful view.
Bappa D — Google review
We had travelled as a family and the stay was very average. The good things about the hotel is the location and the awesome view from a higher level. Although the beach is not accessible, but it does command a splendid view of the Indian Ocean and the nearby railway station. The food buffet was awesome with well. Curated menu items to suit every palate. It’s really worth the money to have a package which includes the buffet. The room service is very slow The rooftop infinity pool provides breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and the Colombo skyline However, we did face a few issues during our stay. The check-in process was not very smooth. The check-in counters are usually very crowded. The staff is interested only to chat with visitors from the western hemisphere. Although we had paid beforehand and the reservation was confirmed, it took a long time for the check-in staff to verify the credentials and check the payment status. The lobby is very uninspired And crowded specifically because of the slow check-in and check out process. There is no staff to guide you into the rooms, we saw undue importance being given only to tourist from the western hemisphere while Indian and other South east and far east tourists were not given the same attention. It felt very discriminatory And uncomfortable. Although the prices remain the same for everyone we were surprised at the lack of professionalism . We were not even show our rooms or guided upstairs. We were just given the keys and told to go to the to our rooms. In this world where customers are treated like king and hospitality industry goes the extra length to make stays of their customers, comfortable and luxurious; Granbelle fell short It is also astounding that the staff has no interest to take feedback or even ask about our stay at checkout for improving their services . we had an awesome trip in Sri Lanka, and we never found such experience in any of the other places or hotels.
Roshan D — Google review
This hotel had the worst service I have ever experienced. We reached after a long journey and nobody helped with our bags. Nobody showed us to the reception, which hilariously isn’t on the ground floor. We had to figure it all out by ourselves. We somehow made it to the reception with our bags. I had booked 2 rooms for 4 of us. Because of issues with our flights, 2 of us reached at 3pm and the rest were going to reach at 9pm. The man at the reception said since there are only 2 of you, I’ll give you 1 room. I said I wanted both since my father and I wanted our own space. He looked at me like I was crazy for wanting the rooms I had already paid for. He then said only one is ready, which made no sense because check in time is 2pm and it was about 3:30. After insisting he give me both rooms, he said the other will take 10 minutes and he’ll send the key to the room. I went and waited in my room for 30 minutes but nobody came so I went back to the reception and then he said “actually I can’t give you both rooms because I need the passports of all 4 people” Which was hilarious because why do you need passports for the people who aren’t here yet? I was visibly upset and their manager saw that and asked him to give me the key. He only gave 1 key for each room and when the rest of my family checked in, we asked for 2 more, this man looked at us like we had asked for one of his kidneys. He made faces and reluctantly gave us the keys. I have never met anybody in the hospitality industry who was this rude and disrespectful. The hotel has great views and all the amenities but this terrible attitude has ensured I’ll never return. Please spend your money in a place where they have some semblance of customer service.

It's not just a place to stay; it's an experience hub offering spa facilities, shops, and a 9D cinema. Families and adventure seekers will find it to be the perfect getaway.
I recently visited this place and had a wonderful experience. The food was extremely tasty — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every dish I tried was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The customer service was excellent, with staff who were polite, friendly, and attentive to every detail. The cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive, and the overall hygiene was very well maintained. It felt comfortable and welcoming from the moment I walked in. I truly appreciate the care and effort the team puts into providing both great food and great service. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

We visited Marion Beach Hotel on 15 September 2025 for their dinner buffet to celebrate my birthday. The buffet was priced at Rs. 5,700 per person, which felt fair compared to high-end buffets in Colombo. The atmosphere was relaxed with no strict dress code, so guests could dine comfortably even in casual wear. The welcome was warm, and we were escorted to our table by a friendly hostess. Seating indoors turned out to be a good choice as the outdoor area got disrupted by rain. The buffet spread was good, starting with a light vegetable soup that I believe was pumpkin and ginger. The starters were nicely presented, but not all were labelled, which can be risky for people with allergies. Clear and consistent labelling would be a big improvement. The main courses were tasty, and staff were polite, though they seemed short-staffed as we had to ask for water refills. The one real disappointment was that my wife had arranged a birthday cake in advance, even agreeing to pay extra, but it was never served or mentioned. For a special occasion, a simple gesture like this can go a long way in creating lasting goodwill. Overall, Marion Beach Hotel offers a reasonably priced buffet with good food and friendly service. We left satisfied, but with the hope that the hotel pays attention to small details that can turn a good dining experience into an unforgettable one.

Amazing stay at Marino Beach Hotel! I had a wonderful experience at Marino Beach Hotel. The location is perfect — right by the ocean, with stunning views and easy access to shops and restaurants. The infinity pool is immense and extremely clean — I enjoyed it every day during my three-day stay, and most of the time I had it completely to myself! It’s almost the size of an Olympic pool, which makes it even more special and relaxing. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff at the reception were always incredibly attentive, kind, and professional — they made sure everything went smoothly during my stay. The rooftop garden is another highlight — a peaceful place to unwind and enjoy the sea breeze. Overall, Marino Beach Hotel exceeded all my expectations. Beautiful facilities, perfect location, and the kindest staff. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Colombo!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Colombo! From the moment I arrived, the front desk team welcomed me warmly – always friendly, helpful, and smiling. The security staff made me feel safe at all times and were also incredibly courteous. The housekeeping team did an excellent job – the rooms were spotless, well-kept, and cared for with great attention to detail. I was especially impressed by the consistently positive and professional atmosphere – you can tell everyone here enjoys their work and truly wants to make guests feel comfortable. A big thank you to the entire team – from reception to security to housekeeping – for your effort and kindness. I would love to stay here again and can highly recommend this hotel! Really good. The rooftop pool and facilitates are a huge highlight and pretty amazing. The rooms are good, but we had no balcony nor even a window; just some weird shady opaque glass. The restaurant is nowhere near the standard other reviews suggest, though that is a seperate review in itself. Really really good hotel for the cheap price.

Overall nice hotel. The room is spacious and clean but the balcony is not fully ocean facing. The usp is infinity pool. The value for money can be improved. The cost of only stay without breakfast, is on the higher side.

The Grand Oriental Hotel, also known as the G.O.H, is a historic 19th-century property located in Colombo. It offers warm and comfortable accommodations with views of the harbor. The hotel has retained its colonial architecture both on the exterior and interior, providing a vibrant atmosphere filled with Sri Lankan art. With 80 rooms that blend modern touches with colonial-era reminiscence, it offers a comfortable and affordable option amidst the old colonial buildings of the Fort area.
A very old hotel that has been preserved over the years. It was built in 1937 for the wealthy English who lived there. It has 137 rooms (we were not allowed into the rooms). The atmosphere is nice and appropriate for the period. I recommend it for a short visit. There is a beautiful view of the harbor from the dining room.

We stayed here for a day. The property has an old-world charm, but it's evident that the hotel is quite dated. As soon as you enter, there's a distinct old wood smell, giving it a vintage palace feel. The rooms are very spacious, and it's clear the staff is putting in effort to maintain them, though signs of aging are still noticeable. Hospitality was great! Happy to see that they are trying to maintain such old property. Great Job!!! The bathroom was average and unfortunately, we did notice a few worms in the gaps, which was a bit unpleasant. Overall, it was a passable experience — could be better with some upgrades and deeper cleaning.
Jishita C — Google review
They have a great view on their top floor. The harbour looks amazing from here. The buffet available is with cocktails. The food was great here. The place is so old with ancient type of buildings including the lift. U will get a different vibe when u visit here. Now it's going out of fashion as more modern places are available in Colombo. But worth trying their buffet at least once to get a different experience

It is an interesting building that, I'm sure, was great 'back in the day'. The Foyer area looks impressive and the staff are lovely. However, the room was not clean. Thick dust on skirting boards and top of wardrobe. Walls covered in stains. Mildew in the bathroom. Dead cockroach under my bed, live one in the shower, a result of poor cleaning! Seriously, hotel management, if you want to attract more western tourists you really need to improve your cleaning. Try using bleach, disinfectant, and other cleaning products. Westerners, and I'm sure others, don't like filth!
Tim W — Google review
The Grand Orient Hotel holds a rich history as one of the oldest hotels in Colombo, and its central location makes it a convenient choice for events like workshops. Its colonial architecture still echoes a charm from the past. However, our recent experience during a workshop was underwhelming. The staff lacked professionalism and friendliness, making us feel unwelcome. The food options were limited and overpriced for the quality. Some rooms had regular beds, but the biggest issue was the poor drainage system in the washrooms, which led to standing water. As a government-owned property, maintained through public tax money, one would expect better upkeep and service aligned with public service standards. That said, the hotel still has great potential if properly managed. With such a prime location and heritage value, I truly hope they take steps to improve both their service and facilities. It could be a gem with just a little more care.

Very Very Bad Experience. First Off all they said 24hrs room service, but when i asked for extra sugar and milk powder at around 12:20am night , they said we are closed no service right now? if no then why you say 24hrs room service. 2nd thing when i asked for early check in they said straight forward no i said i will pay charges, his way of talk was very bad. 3rd Room was Okay, TV was very Old. Overall my experience was not good with Grand Oriental Hotel. But Staff was good only House keeping staff.

Grand in name only. Really old room, peeling plaster on the ceiling and walls, room very loud from the street, windows don’t close properly, cockroaches in the bathroom, no chain on the inside lock (wouldn’t feel safe if I was a lone female traveler!), desk infested with tiny mites, no hot water. Positives: you can buy water upstairs because they only give you 300ml for free

I think your hotel is a very nice place. The service staff are very nice, especially the room service and of course the restaurant staff, but they could make a bit more effort when welcoming guests. The room is also OK, but what bothers me is that there are some religious symbols hanging in the room that I don't like at all. Very negative. Namely, if you get a room on the first floor and on the same level, you meet the hotel staff right outside the entrance door and they are very loud, play music and show no consideration for the guests on the first floor. You pay too much money for the accommodation and they talk so loudly outside the door because there are also offices for hotel staff there.

This place is nice. I’ve stayed here twice during my business trips. The staff are really friendly, helpful, and polite. Be sure to book a room with a window, though otherwise, the room can feel quite dark. Overall, it’s a good place to stay. The room may not feel entirely worth the price, but it was very clean and well maintained. The location is great, as it’s close to everything in Colombo, which could explain the higher price.

Very British like hotel located in a rustic building. The restaurant gives England pub vibes. Location is both plus and minus. It's very centrally located next to Dutch hospital which provides a lot of option to eat and party. It will be very difficult not to party as the loud music from near by places wil be there over the midnight. From the window you can see the Dutch hospital and Lotus tower in the distance. The breakfast was good and overall service was great.

We have visited the restaurant here a few times. The food is very good and tasty, but the AC is always on too low, for us, maybe they're trying to create the effect of eating in the Scottish Highlands! We take a long sleeved top and/or a sweater with us now.

Fantastic location to stay in Colombo. Centrally located but very peaceful environment. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Located in a safe neighbourhood

We didn't stay but went for a family time in the pool and for lunch. The pool was clean and nicely maintained. There was a baby pool and was really helpful for a family. The location was in the city, but ut was really good environment, covered well, feels so homely and privacy maintained well. My kids enjoyed well the time spend there. Lot of hotels not allow visitors to use a pool but this hotel provide it to a very reasonable price. And the food outlet in the hotel had variety of items, from home-made delicious Xmas cookies to a nice rice meal for lunch. There were quite a good range of white rice, red rice and yellow rice. We all enjoyed it well. We were thrilled to see the great range of platter available at the hotel. But our tummies were full and couldn't try it but hope to try it in near future. The owners were really nice and helpful that made the place feeling like a home. I would love to visit again and hopefully try to stay when needed in picture.

Do not go to this hotel if you want a peaceful stay. The receptionists literally don't care about you and you will feel as if you are not welcomed there from the moment you enter. Also, a renovation happened at 9 AM and started drilling from upstairs!
Hasitha K — Google review
I knew the hotel was old, but the moment you walked in, you'll know the hotel is poorly maintained and lacks any sort of standard to upkeep. The stench of stale air, Dirty carpets on the floor inside the room (I mean, really really dirty), clogging sink, Moss infested water closet, poorly running air-conditioning are some things I hated. The only positives were the location and the pastries. Got to give it to the pastry chef, too good!!!

I recently had the chance to experience Hotel Janaki in Colombo for a few hours, and here’s a quick review of my experience: The hotel is well-located, with convenient access to key parts of Colombo, which is a plus. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the short stay comfortable. The lobby is clean and well-maintained, offering a pleasant first impression. However, when it comes to the room, it felt somewhat dated and could benefit from some renovation. The furniture and decor, while functional, aren’t as modern or luxurious as one might expect. The room amenities were okay, but nothing exceptional. The air conditioning worked well, which was important considering the Colombo heat. The restaurant options were average – nothing spectacular, but adequate for a short stay. The overall value for money seemed decent, though it may not meet the expectations of those looking for a more upscale experience. Overall, Hotel Janaki offers a solid, no-frills stay. It’s suitable for those who need a brief and basic stopover, but if you're looking for a more luxurious experience or modern amenities, there might be better options in Colombo.
Sandun S — Google review
The hotel's maintenance appears to be lacking, particularly with the floors which could use more attention to cleanliness. The bathrooms leave much to be desired, ranking low in terms of hotel standards. The buffet selection is limited and the flavors do not meet expectations. As for the rooms, their condition is uncertain, but the general impression beyond the entrance suggests a dated and neglected atmosphere.
Dineth H — Google review
Compared to other venues in the town, this hotel offers competitive rates for meeting rooms and accommodations. This makes it an excellent choice for businesses or organizations looking to host events or conferences without breaking the bank. The breakfast buffet had a reasonable selection, but it lacked the variety and quality one might expect from higher-end venues. The lunch is similarly basic. While the food is decent and fills the need, it might not impress those looking for a gourmet experience.
Jayaprakash S — Google review
The service and food left room for improvement. Staff responsiveness could be better, and the food quality and variety did not meet expectations.

Colombo Court Hotel & Spa is a chic urban property in the heart of Colombo, offering bright rooms and suites. Despite its central location, the hotel's Cloud Cafe on the rooftop provides a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle, with spacious seating and a serene atmosphere. The hotel reflects Sri Lanka's essence through elegant decor and excellent hospitality. Guests can enjoy amenities such as an outdoor plunge pool, spa services, and Italian dining options on-site.
I would say this is the best hotel in Colombo. From the rooms to the service, everything was exceptional. We stayed for 8 to 9 days in November, and the staff was truly amazing. The front manager and their team, along with the food and beverage team and the entire staff, were incredibly humble and accommodating. I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit to Sri Lanka, and without a doubt, we will be staying at the same hotel. This place truly feels like home. What I love most about this hotel is its unique charm and its close connection to nature. Keep up the great work! You all are truly amazing ❤️❤️

My stay at Colombo Court Hotel & Spa was a truly relaxing and memorable experience. Tucked away in the heart of Colombo, this boutique hotel offers a peaceful escape from the city’s busy streets. From the moment I walked in, I loved the calm atmosphere, tasteful decor, and warm hospitality. The rooms were beautifully designed, clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a perfect blend of modern style and artistic touches. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights was the rooftop bar and pool area. It was the perfect spot to unwind in the evening with a nice drink and a great view. The food was also excellent, fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented, both at breakfast and during dinner. If you're looking for a quiet, stylish stay in Colombo with a personal touch, I highly recommend Colombo Court Hotel & Spa. It’s ideal for couples, solo travelers, or anyone who appreciates comfort, art, and good service.

Service at the reception, at the breakfast place was really great. Staff were nice, helpful and super polite. There are different swimming pool so families or couple can enjoy their stay quietly. The room is nicely decorated and organised, the cleaning service was impeccable. The surrounding was pretty noisy but this is certainly true for any hotels in Colombo as the city is super active day and night. I would advice traveller to get some ear plug and then everything will be alright!

Situated in the heart of Colombo it is an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located very conveniently for anyone wishing to sight see and get their errands done. Their food is delicious!!! Staff accommodating and friendly. Whether it's happy hour with a groups of friends, a staycation during the weekend or hosting an intimate gathering with your loved ones. Colombo Court is your go to place.

Disappointed with the Service – Needs Serious Staff Training This was my first visit to Court Hotel. While the location and ambiance are great, the overall experience was ruined by the service. From the moment I stepped in, the staff kept approaching me repeatedly, asking for my order even after I politely explained that I was waiting for my friend to arrive so we could order together. Their constant hovering made it impossible to settle in and enjoy the environment. Eventually, just to avoid the uncomfortable pressure, I ordered something small. But even after that, they kept returning to ask if I was ordering more or if they could bring the bill as if they wanted me to leave. Once my friend arrived, I informed them we’d be staying longer and ordering more. Still, the attitude didn’t change. Frustrated, we paid and moved to the rooftop area, hoping for a better experience, but the same behavior continued. Staff constantly circled us, pressuring us to order immediately. On top of that, when I finally did place another order, they got it wrong and didn’t even acknowledge the mistake. I left feeling disappointed and unwelcome. A gentle reminder to management: guests come to relax and enjoy their time not to be rushed or made to feel uncomfortable. Please consider training your staff to be more respectful and mindful of guests’ space and comfort. I won’t be returning.

Absolutely loved our stay. Very spacious and cozy rooms. Bathroom is huge as well wit separate shower and bathtub. All amenities available including a PC! The staff couldnt be more helpful and welcoming. The rooftop restaurant offers a great variety of local and international foods and drinks, all served to perfection with a great city view. We had to leave early to the airport and the staff were kind enough to prepare us a yummy breakfast incuding a sandwich, fruit bowl, juice, pastries and water. Highly recommend choosing this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

I had the best Mocha at Java Lounge today. The shot was perfectly pulled—rich and nutty—with silky micro foam and beautiful latte art. The staff were warm and quick, and the space has a great vibe: clean, comfy seating, natural light, and chill music (easy to study or catch up with friends). Good selection of pastries and non-coffee options, plus fair prices and reliable Wi-Fi. Absolutely recommend—new go-to spot for coffee lovers.

Visited Java Lounge and had an amazing experience! ☕ We ordered two small cappuccinos, a tuna salad brown bread sandwich, and a ham & cheese croissant — everything was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The cappuccino had a rich aroma and smooth texture, and the food tasted fresh and flavorful. The customer service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. We had a really good experience at Java Lounge yesterday (Almost today). It was quite late when we needed a cake urgently, and we were so glad to find out Java Lounge is open until midnight. From the moment we called, this person named Lahiru, was very helpful and polite, making the whole process smooth and really easy for us. Even though we were little late to make it to the shop, he stayed there till we arrive and still handled everything with a friendly and professional attitude. Really appreciate that kind of customer service — it really comfort us and saved our day as well. Thank you, Lahiru, and the Java Lounge team!

I recently stayed at Maradha Hotel Colombo, and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Menura at the reception welcomed us warmly and made the check-in process quick and smooth. We were given a beautiful sea-view room on the top floor, which made our stay even more special. After check-in, Menura personally showed us the room and explained all the hotel facilities in detail. His professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care for guests really stood out. The breakfast was delicious, and the overall hospitality throughout our stay was exceptional. During checkout, we met Menura again, and he kindly asked about our experience — a small gesture that showed his dedication to guest satisfaction. I must say, Menura is an excellent representative of true hospitality — polite, skilled, and attentive. To the management of Maradha Hotel Colombo, please value him highly; he’s a real asset to your team

The service was quick and professional, and they really made me feel welcome. The food at the hotel was also amazing. Every meal was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. I especially loved the breakfast buffet with so many options to choose from. They had a fresh hoppers station unlike any of the other hotels I went to in Sri Lanka. The Lobby was also very aesthetic creating a great vibe as you enter. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Only a short one night stay. Arrived late at airport, didn’t find anything we like in Negumbo (close to airport), so chose Colombo instead. The hotel is modern, clean and staff and very friendly and warm. Location is excellent, with a view of the train and Indian Ocean waves below. Fantastic large open windows, for morning views. For the price, fantastic hotel be would recommend. The breakfast was included in price and was great, with lots of made to order options!

This is a very nice and clean hotel, which is centrally located in Colombo. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful and the service was excellent. Another good feature of note was that breakfast was included in the price. The only reason I give this hotel 4 stars is because the food was quite average - not the most flavourful that I have had, and I would say somewhat below my expectations for a 4-star rated hotel. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this place for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

⭐ 1/5 — Very Disappointing Experience at Maradha Hotel, Marine Drive, Colombo 03 We recently hosted our daughter’s birthday celebration at the restaurant reception of Maradha Hotel, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing despite the beautiful ambiance. The buffet (Rs. 6,450 net per person) was far from satisfactory. The service was completely unprofessional from the start. A day before the event, the sales captain called to argue about the buffet timing instead of offering support — a very unpleasant experience for any customer hosting a function. On the event day, the food was mostly cold and not fresh. Only the chicken was served hot. The Hot Butter Mushroom was a total mess, and while the chocolate pudding was good, the fresh fruit cuts were clearly not fresh. The Staff (not everyone) was not supportive. We had ordered 1kg of chicken bites, but the portion served was nowhere near that amount. The welcome drink glasses were barely half-filled, and not everyone even received one. Some dishes were not refilled properly during the buffet, leaving guests with limited choices. Overall, the food quality was poor, service was bad, and staff attitude was unacceptable. They seemed more concerned about collecting payment than ensuring guest satisfaction. The venue itself is nice, but sadly, the service and food quality completely ruined the experience. I would strongly advise against hosting any party or dining here, as it’s not worth the money or the frustration.

Guests can enjoy delicious meals and drinks at the in-house restaurant and bar. The hotel also boasts an outdoor pool for relaxation.
Small boutique hotel - we had an great stay. Chris was an excellent host - he really took care of us and made our stay enjoyable. Beautiful property, great location. There's a pool and chairs in the middle of the hotel. We had some small nits like the bathroom doors being very hard to close/open and no hand soap in the bathroom but otherwise it was a very comfortable stay. The free breakfast was excellent although avoid the restaurant for other meals if you can - the food is average and they are very unorganized (long wait times and they are not able to make the majority of things in their menu).

It rains in Sri Lanka right ? Three rooms we were given had really bad leaks. The fourth room an unfinished bathroom floor with loose tiles. Lights that didn’t work. The only compensation offered was a free drink. Then there was a strange nationality question asked at check in of my wife. The property is lovely and in a great location but the management of it appalling.

Location! Location! Location! That is about the only nice thing I can say about this hotel. In sad need of a renovation. If that was done it would be lovely. Tired and sad hotel with tired and sad furniture. Mediocre breakfast. Dinner is better. Service incredibly slow and some staff were rude. This is not a 5 star hotel, but it could be.

What a beautiful hotel, only 10 rooms, and very personal service. The building is beautiful, with fitting, tasteful furnishings. Our room was a suite, and touches like fresh fruit and little complimentary biscuits in the room were appreciated. We ate in the restaurant several times, drank in the bar, or poolside on.the verandah. But breakfast was just wonderful, so much, such variety. Best of all though was the outstanding team of attentive, and friendly staff. Thank you.

This hotel has seen better days. Some parts of the room definitely need renovation, the armchairs in the lobby need to be replaced or at least cleaned! Nice breakfast, BUT 18$ for 2 beers in a minibar (about 5-6 in their restaurant, lol). There’s no price list in a room. Then the staff lies to you about it. This moment spoiled our stay in the end. Is it that difficult to inform people before hand that you’re planning to screw them over? 😀 Scam, there’s no sign of a 5-star hotel. Oh, yeah, the room was really big and the bed was comfortable:)

This was a very nice place to beat off the heat and chaos of Colombo. Historic building with large rooms and a nice pool. The Park Street News restaurant area was close by and was excellent. Nestled in the heart of Colombo, Labookellie Tea Lounge - Marino Food Emporium is a charming spot that invites tea lovers to indulge in a delightful high tea experience. The offerings are beautifully arranged on a three-tier stand, featuring classic scones at the base, savory bites in the middle, and an array of sweet treats on top.
Labookellie Tea Lounge offers a wide variety of teas, including milk tea. It’s a great place to try some of the best teas around. The atmosphere is nice, and it’s perfect for relaxing with friends or family. Definitely a good spot for a casual hangout! Also, you can buy tea (power).
Anton — Google review
Labookelle Tea Shop is always a bit busy since it’s a family-friendly spot, but definitely worth it. The drinks are authentic and delicious – not syrup-based or usual tea bag versions. The cinnamon iced tea and cinnamon ice cream shake are my top picks. As the food emporium space is quite large, they’ll serve you even if you’re seated far away, though sometimes it can take a little longer for the drinks to reach you. Still, the taste makes it absolutely worth the wait! As you can see in the attached photo prices are very reasonable too.

If you’re a tea lover, Labookellie Tea Lounge is a fantastic place to explore a wide variety of local teas at reasonable prices. The cakes are decent but not extraordinary. What really stands out is the friendly staff, who took the time to explain the entire menu. It’s a great spot for tea enthusiasts looking for a cozy experience.

A quiet and quaint tea lounge that is fairly reasonable and a wonderful place to have a short meeting. They have an excellent choice of tea and snacks. I usually prefer the strong blends with milk which are excellent. A cup of tea easily serves two making it value for money. Another excellent product is their fresh and delicious tea cake. The only downside is they have several tables for 4 in a small area making it difficult to get a seat as most are occupied by single occupants. Overall an excellent place to visit.

Usually this outlet is extraordinary and I love having a tea and cake on any day . But I think your staff has a problem with women . I ordered tea, cake , and was waiting for a while when I notice that the guy who was in front already being served and also his take away was ready and he left. And I was still waiting. When I asked the staff why it takes so long to put a slice of cake on a plate . He ignored and kept clearing other tables. The place was empty at the time. Then after another 5 minutes again I went to the counter and had to tell them again I noticed that another lady who was alone also had to go and complain. Some foreigners came in later and sat outside and service was so quick for them So what's the issue?
Rhtjdbvrhtn — Google review
I ordered a chicken pie and a,vegetable roll on 25 september at 12.14. After 25 minutes they said vegetables rolls are over which was already in the Hot Cupboard , and some other lady had ordered previously and they forgot to remove it from the cupboard. Any way try to maintain your Standards and be vigilant on orders.
