It had a classy rooftop bar atmosphere. And the service is top notch. Relatively cheaper without compromising the quality. The pool adds an excellent vibe. You can see the sea at one side and the Colombo cityscape from another. Overall a great experience.

We stayed at Radisson hotel in Colombo, where this lounge is located on the rooftop! Loved the vibes and the view here! When we visited here, there was DJ night going on here! Honestly we didn't eat anything,as we are in the hotel downstairs, but I did see people enjoying their food and drinks!! There is a pool also here,so you get a view of that too! There is an indoor dining area and an outdoor lounge area!

Pretty good rooftop bar with a really nice vibe. They host Tamil events quite often, which adds a fun and cultural touch to the place. The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable, making it a great spot to chill with friends. Drinks and food are reasonably priced, so you don’t feel like you’re overspending. Overall, I enjoyed my time here — definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a good rooftop hangout with affordable prices and unique events.

One of the best rooftop bars located in the heart of Colombo city. Staff is friendly and the food is delicious and they have the cocktail and other alcoholic brands. They have happy Hours from 5pm to 7pm for selected beverages. Overall the view is amazing at night and the breeze.

Amazing place! 😍 I enjoyed the night to the maximum. The cocktails are good and if you feel like they are not strong enough for you they will be very generous. The strongest cocktail I have ever had in my life is the vodka- canberry juice cocktail I had here Food taste so good. Especially their beef items. So tender and so juicy. But to be honest I didn't like the prawns much because I think the freshness was gone by the time they started cooking them. But overall quality of food is very very good. And the place! Oh I love it. You can see the metropolitan Colombo with a great view from this place. (Please see the photos.) And it looked so beautiful with all those night lights. I bet this view looks so good when the sun sets too. Perfect for a birthday celebration or a casual night out. The staff is helpful and treated with wide smiles. Really impressed with this place..

Lovely spot. Service was good but the food didnt amaze us as we wished it would. With only a few mains options we thought they'd be well worth the amount we paid for, but it was slightly disappointing. The drinks however much better than the food & they were reasonably priced. Overall we had a good time but perhaps they could master their menu.

The atmosphere is very nice. Decent selection of beverages. However food portions are rather small for the hungry customer. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor. However, indoor is not truly indoor since the bar is open to outside. The AC didn't really work well enough too.

When it comes to fine dining I’ve had many food adventures of my own. But one thing exactly enjoyed is non other than “Botanik” which made me believe it’s almost heaven. I would say this place was more than expectations. 👌🙂

Has a decent view of the Colombo skyline. The cocktails are sad. They are very watered down. It would be advisable for the management to get on board experienced bar men who can create good cocktails instead of the juniors who are manning the bars. The food servings are relatively small when compared to the price charged. They have a live band, which is at times a case of hit or miss, but overall OK.

One of best city view in the colombo. Little expensive but worth it. I loved the cold beer and prawns snack. Staff was really friendly but little slow. Highly recommend to have cold beer but not recommend to have a decent meal, cuase portion is very small and expensive but i heard that they are using fresh indgridients for menus.

Very nice atmosphere and the staff was supportive and friendly. Food was average but presentation was on point . Mango cheese cake was awesome. Yet be careful about the tax ant the end of the menu . Not an expert on how taxation works on these f & b scopes yet expect a huge tax amount added to your bill. Apart from that concern , good place .

Great place to enjoy the sunset with a 180 degree view over Galle Green and the harbor. Cocktails and service were great! Happy Hour from 5-9pm (1+1 drink). Amaretto sour was delicious with a hint of ceylon cinnamon.

Only found this place on our last evening in Colombo. Fantastic evening sitting outside in the Sky Lounge. Happy hour 5-7. Seafood sharing platter, best I’ve ever had. Excellent mojitos!

Sunset cocktails here are great! From 5-7pm they do 2-4-1 happy hour drinks and they had a great live band too. We didn’t have time to grab food but the menu looks good. Mahesh and his team did a great job with our group of 12. Will be back for their Halloween event tomorrow!

This place has a beautiful view of Colombo city and the atmosphere is perfect!! The food is so great and worth the money. They have an amazing collection of cocktails! They have a friendly staff and live music and the place is perfect for a romantic dinner! One of my favorite rooftop restaurants in Colombo!

Shabeeq, and his team “go above and beyond” to ensure a memorable experience.  The club features daily happy hours, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a long day. 

Honey Beach boasts a wonderful location for spending time with friends and family, offering private seating areas and tables around the pool. The staff are pleasant, though service could be improved; we experienced a 20-minute wait and had to call them over while they were assisting other guests. Food prices are somewhat higher than comparable establishments. While this might be acceptable if the dishes were exceptional, the taste was only average. Our grilled chicken pizza, meat lovers pizza, and crab koththu were unremarkable; the crab koththu, in particular, lacked sufficient crab meat. Beverages, however, were delicious, despite the higher prices, and they offer a happy hour for alcoholic beverages from 5 pm to 7 pm. A significant drawback is the addition of taxes and a 10% service charge on top of the already higher menu prices. Aside from this, the venue is clean, parking is available, and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, those seated in the private areas should be aware of the loud music from the DJ, which makes conversation difficult.

I really liked coming here, but the service from the staff is very poor. Whether it’s food, drinks, or shisha (hookah), everything is served very late. Once you place an order, no one comes back to check if you need anything else. The food quality is also very low considering the place and the amount of money they charge. I paid a bill of 25,000 Sri Lankan Rupees, but it was a waste of money. Both the food and the shisha were absolutely disappointing.

The In… on the Green Pub at Galle Face Hotel has a peaceful and relaxing ambiance, perfect for unwinding. The happy hours from 5:30 to 7:30 PM every day are a nice touch. However, the food was disappointing. We ordered the grilled pork with potato salad, but it lacked flavor and was quite underwhelming. On the bright side, the setting was great, and the atmosphere was cool and pleasant. Hopefully, the food quality improves to match the lovely location!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting “In on the Green,” and it was an experience worth sharing. The first thing that strikes you upon entering is the wonderful ambience and aesthetically pleasing decor. The place has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for hangouts and social gatherings. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the stand-up comedy special. It was a refreshing and entertaining addition to the evening, and it’s great to see a venue offering such events. It adds a unique charm and keeps the patrons engaged and entertained. The food at “In on the Green” is truly a double-edged sword. On one hand, the taste is extraordinary. Every dish we tried was packed with flavors and beautifully presented. However, the portion sizes left much to be desired, especially considering the price. It would be wonderful if the management could revisit the portion sizes to ensure they provide better value for money. One area where the establishment could improve is in their billing. While the service charge is understandable, the addition of a heavy tax on the bill is a bit off-putting. It’s not common practice for all restaurants to charge taxes separately, and this feels like an unnecessary burden on the customers. It would be more customer-friendly if these charges were incorporated into the menu prices. In conclusion, “In on the Green” is a fantastic place with a lot to offer. The ambience, events, and food quality are commendable. If the portion sizes and billing practices are adjusted, it could elevate the experience even further. This is a classic hole in the wall kind of pub. Food is really yummy and the prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. The staff are really polite.

Nice, cosy place.Although we went to see the match, audio was not available. Drinks are reasonably priced. Yet food was nothing but ordinary. The portion is covered by over fried French fries. They have good deals for drinks.

Went in at happy hour. There was no prior information given to us about "government taxes" which was added to the bill to our surprise They added 10% service tax + 24% government taxes which we had no idea about. Upon enquiring,no one was able to show us any official/ government notice where it is mentioned that 24% government tax is mandatory. Very disappointed with the entire experience. Made us feel deceived. Would recommend to check with them about taxes prior to placing orders.

It a small cosy pub & has a old bar feeling. The best part here is the music, there's always some or the other live band playing & they are all so good. The cocktails were a bit of a disappointment but I liked the 'make your own drink' concept. The food's a little expensive here but it tastes fine.

We went there for the high tea platter . Service was really good . I think it was Mahesh and Maleesha who served us. They were very friendly and welcoming. We even got complimentary mojitos .. cuz there was a slight delay . Def a spot to check out

Ok i dont know how to start. 1st the waiter was so bad and SLOW. It took him ages to figure out whats going on. We went in during the happy hour where you get 25% off on cocktails and mocktails.(i have a picture attached below) and the had some error in their Facebook page post and they admitted their mistake. So then we ordered mocktails we toasted more like water mixed with some cordial. It was soo bad. The food was no exception. And they had a card offer and took the card away and came back saying its not working. It looked like that they were faking to charge the full amount. So if i could rate them negative 5 stars, i would. Highly disappointed.

Its not worth the money that we spent here as its very expensive for small positions. Don't think we will visit again as the five stars much cheaper than cloud cafe.

Unless you are sitting near the bar, service may take time. The food is good but the portions are relatively small. Vast variety of drinks available on the menu. Cocktails are good, while the spirits are relatively costly. Happy hours(25% off) from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. It costs LKR2000-2500 per head.

We visited the restaurant on a 31st of December buying a Rs. 5000/- ticket. The restaurant was little bit busy. Food was okay. But we had issues with the service. They billed us with every order instead of billing the all ordered at the very end. The ticket was redeemable for Rs. 2500/- on music + food + drink. But they were going to exclude the cost for the drinks from the redeemable amount. But after a discussion things got resolved. I had mixed reactions with all the food and service.

Nice place. Food is not that great. Calamari had very thick coating of flur and taste is not that good. Beef nachos comes with guacamole and it was too tangy. They gave us a small review questionnaire with the bill. But no pen 😬 Service is really great. Waiters are really helpful and always try to give you an exceptional service. People smoke there. But you won't feel it due to the breeze. There are small ants on the floor and my wife got bitten by few. Menu has very good spread with many vegetarian options. I think owner will correct these once he saw the review. Make sure to give it a try. Will go again when I get a chance.

About food & liquor prices are reasonable + potion sizes okay. Nothing to complaint. little packed. Downstairs is also good if you want to hangout with friends. If your focus is music and dance, upstairs is great. Usually needs pre reservation for upstairs.

I just love this place. Please visit in the happy hour because it is worth it. The cocktails are great, the gloomy but romantic surrounding is amazing for a casual date. On the day I visited this place there was a solo singer playing a guitar. He is super talented and the crowd also could join with him to sing. It was a cool night. Washrooms are clean, food is great but the portion is not sufficient.

Chilled out ambiance with pretty good music bands every week . We came here on a Saturday evening & I think we walked in too early because it was empty and the band playing that night was testing their sounds. We ordered a couple of drinks. The mojito was just a squeeze of lime in a glass filled with crushed ice. Not worth it at all, but the other drinks were great. I love the decor there. Definitely worth another visit only for the music and the fun . Downstairs the food was not worth the price and not that great. Quite dissapointed with the place, although it used to be a high class place, the quality has dipped immeasurably, there are rats galore, all over the place (speaks for the quality of the food) Along with that the waiters are rude and do not work on the customers but rather are more like short order cooks looking for the quick orders and resisting any discussion on whats on offer. The food is hit and miss, not upto the standards that were previously held and the manager makes deals which he later on reneges on. Not worth the effort, better to visit next innings which is closeby and much more attentive to its client base. The good thing which adds the star was magic box mixup who were terrific as per usual. . They can do better with the way they treat customers.

It’s an amazing place with amazing music. They always have a live band perform at every weekend. They play soft rock, grunge metal, pop music and various other genres too. It’s not a pricey place but the atmosphere and crowd is truly peaceful to be with. Whoever visiting this place should try for the chicken pizza because it’s really tasty and much better than the pizzas you get around the city. The staff is very helpful. Remember to come by an Uber or park somewhere away from this place as the roads are very narrow and would be a problem to park your own vehicle.

Prices are decent and it's a pretty chilled out place where you can hangout with a bunch of friends. Music can get too loud at times even outside (loud enough to drown a conversation) but if that's your jam, this place would suit you fine. It’s a nice place to have a casual dinner or drinks on the terrace. It’s quite cool and they have overall a nice menu with food and cocktails. However the cocktails, as some other comments said, doesn’t have much alcohol and are extremely sweet (even shots). That’s not exactly what I was expecting for a cocktails place. The service was extremely nice, although it was not a crowded night which helped surely.

The Bull Frog cocktails are simply delicious. What you should really try is the chicken sausages, they are so soft you think you are in heaven! In the weekends they even have a live band performing. Staff is so friendly you never want to leave.

The place is in a nice place in Colombo. The balcony we dined at faced the Colombo Cricket Club grounds. Nice sunset from there. The margarita flavoured and the Mojito was hreat too. Mostly crowded on Friday's and Saturdays. I love this olace because it has both delicious food and amazing cocktails. Ladies are walk in free. You can have amazing time while drinking and dancing. Some days they have live performance and mostly DJ's.

A good place for a Night life entertainment. Rs 2000 is charged for male entries and it can be redeemed. Friday nights are crowded and they have good bouncers allocated to avoid conflicts within participants. Open area together with inside dance floor is availabile. A DJ and a Band will play preferably by the management.

Good place to have a chilled meal and enjoy the view. Not good for large local groups because it’s bit difficult to have fun by like requesting songs and dancing. This place is sort of good for more tourist where they can enjoy their Cousine. The DJ was good and the food is quiet expensive when compared with the quantity provided. Overall the place is good and the customer service is good. Can enjoy with one to one free on the happy hour.

Great hotel, location, awesome views of Colombo and the new port city development. What was disappointing was the lousy service. We were the first as the lounge opened, yet had awful service. The staff were clustered in little groups chatting. Despite calling and reminding staff that our food was late, they served others who arrived later. After 55 minutes we have up and went to the Hilton for an excellent meal

I've been a couple of times, but I feel that the standards of food has dropped a bit. I ordered cashew and cuttle fish with my drinks and I was surprised at how mediocre the dishes were. I could honestly get better dishes from a roadside pub. Having said that, the waiters we're really polite, courteous and helpful and the views were amazing.

Must visit place ,good location ,sea view from all side ,good cocktails ,good team and staff ,make innovative drinks based on your Taste. Don and Vronsky are good knowledgeable people to deal with. Love the atmosphere of the place ! The definition of chilled. The staff is super helpful and really friendly. They have a good variety of cocktails and a good selection of spirits too. It’s on the pricey side but if you go around happy hour (6-7 if I’m not mistaken) it’s not too bad. Definitely make a reservation before going.

The restaurant is situated in the rooftop lounge of The Kingsbury Hotel, which is a fantastic viewpoint facing galleface green and the roads surrounding it. I was surprised about how cozy and beautiful the place looked like ! Food was excellent and reasonable for a high-class restaurant. We had Braised Pork Belly, Roasted Duck, California Rolls, and Pork Fried Rice as a side. Food was all exquisite! As for drinks, we had a strawberry crush and iced tea which were also good. The most special part was the dessert it was a whole experience, the Rose and Watermelon Petit Gateaux, You won't believe how delicious it was. I should specially mention about the service. It was hands down the best service I ever had in a restaurant. The waiter and the assistant manager was very kind and friendly seriously. And last but not least, the view. when you are in the 11 th floor restaurant which is facing the beautiful galleface at night, it cannot get better than this. Overall a 10/10 for me. Highly Recommend this place.

Best view to enjoy the city of Colombo with sea sky and town view all in your eyes, their food also was tasty. I ate the sushi 🍣 combined with the cappuccino and sparkling water, it was nice to see the twilight with delicious bite. They're now changed the name from Sky Lounge to Cé La Vi Colombo. Recommended place in town, feel the difference.

We went to Movenpick Hotel for the high tea buffet. It was delicious and had a huge variety of food and drinks. We went on a Poya day and it was held at the vista bar at the rap top.if we taking about Vista bar ,Vistas Bar at the Movenpick Hotel Colombo does not offer a traditional high tea service. However, they are a popular spot for afternoon drinks and cocktails with a stunning view. They boast spectacular 360-degree views of Colombo, including panoramic sunsets and breathtaking ocean sights. Diners rave about the quality and variety of the food. Movenpick The buffet includes a wide selection of sweet and savory treats, including,Finger sandwiches,Scones with jam and clotted cream, Pastries,Cakes,Fresh fruits,Savory snacks. Their service is very good and efficient and the dining area is also in good condition. And since this is located on the rooptop, you can eat while watching a beautiful environment.

The best place to visit with friends or family, Its open area can not avoid smoking, Beautiful view from roof top. Mr Kapila really help us on menu and drinks. Staff are friendly. Food also good.. We visited Love Bar last Saturday, booked a VIP table, and purchased a bottle. The service and music were absolutely top-notch, and we truly appreciated the effort from the staff in that regard. Unfortunately, our night was completely ruined due to the overwhelming number of underage kids inside the club — it honestly felt more like a preschool than an adult nightlife venue. These kids started a fight, during which our bottle and glasses ended up on the floor. One of my friends was injured as a result. What made it worse was that the bouncers took no immediate action. We were shocked to hear the kids openly claim they were “friends with the owners,” and the bouncers seemed afraid to intervene. It took them an hour and a half to address the situation. If Love Bar wants to maintain its reputation, stricter age checks and better crowd control are urgently needed. Please stop letting underage kids into the club — it ruins the experience for genuine customers and creates serious safety concerns.

The place was almost empty when I went maybe because of the season but there is not much nightlife in Ella for sure. Only thing is to go running or meditate in the green environment. I guess there are a lot of yoga classes and SPA as well

such a funny place. we called in advance to book the best table for ourselves, decent people, came to the club and the security didn’t wanna let our driver and business partner in because they were wearing slippers — because they position themselves as VIP club, alright, but the look they gave to us was so humiliating, they were talking to my local friends who were in slippers like they’re nobody. we came down to find a solution, i was with my man who owns over 30 night clubs in india, however the manner they gave to us was the same 😂 like it is a very special place and the vibe was like we don’t deserve to be here. once I mentioned out loud about who we are the security instantly changed the tone and let us in. we came inside, got ourselves a table in VIP, and made a big check with drinks and stuff. I was happy with the music for sometime, but after the DJ just started playing them on repeat, several songs could even play 3 times 😭🤦🏼‍♀️ As I read from the reviews now, it happens there all the time. whatever. the crowd, the space? The interior is not luxury or VIP, I am sorry. it’s giving 2016 plain core. it’s not enough space to move freely in VIP. Basically, the whole space is TINY. and the crowd mostly wearing business suits for some reasons, I think that’s how they also expected us to appear, but let me tell you guys, people who got real money just wear whatever they want and don’t care 🙏🏼They just come to have fun and relax, and they don’t have to prove anything to get a good treatment. the whole situation was a shame for me, because we came together as business partners, including my foreign bf and other family members, they just came straight from the airport to have a good welcoming chill in sri lanka , and this place was recommended to me by one of my friends, so I thought it’s a decent one. But trust me this place is a fake luxury, they trying to show off, but they aren’t. Firstly—fix your manners and speak gracefully if you’re targeting upper class audience, thank me later. Or do you expect me to come in an office suit as well for a good seem, but we won’t spend a coin in your place? Overall, I really got bored in there, I felt like the music was also not loud enough and you really have to stop put songs on a loop. it feels like you’re losing your mind when you hear the same tune for the 3rd time within couple of hours. A good night club crowd here is decent. There is also a vip section if your buying a bottle they will give you acsess or if your a frequent visitor.

We are 6guys . It was funny for us . My friend and his business partners came from India so we went they to have fun . We was wearing sleapers. And the guys said it's a vip club . No one is allowed without shoe .My friend and his parents own more than 30clubs in India even there washroom is bigger this entire club . After we had a argument and went inside and the dj plays the same music . When we enter and booked the vip table and dance with slippers it a next level feel. When we pay the bill guy in cashier said our bill is the biggest bill of the day . So never judge people. We are laughing at him too . Manager said thanks for us when we are leaving it's really funny 🤣

The Typical club. Always good vibes when I go there. Drinks are alright. Again the main issue with every club , the annoying maintenance of Male to Female Ratio. I mean the best thing they can do is charge an entrance fee for both sexes without making it an annoying experience to gain entrance when you are of the male gender. Anyways all the times I've sneaked in , it has been a good experience , :P Cheers .

The Breeze Bar is a great spot to relax and enjoy beautiful ocean views. The cocktails are on point, and the staff makes you feel right at home. It's the perfect place to unwind with a drink and enjoy the breeze. Definitely a place worth checking out for a laid-back, enjoyable time!

Chilled out spot, doesn’t get too crowded, quite spacious and open air, so only issue is if it rains. One of the few calm places to have a cold one around Colombo. Good portions and quality are very good for the prices.

I visited breeze bar expecting high-quality service and attention to detail, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I ordered spaghetti, but was served penne instead, which is a simple but noticeable mistake at this level of dining. And it was not tasty at all. To make matters worse, the fork they gave me was damaged, which really didn’t meet the standards I’d expect from a luxury hotel. While the hotel’s vibe and setting are nice, the small details—like getting the order wrong and receiving faulty cutlery—left a lot to be desired. For a five-star establishment, these issues really stood out. I hope they take more care with these elements in the future.

Perfect for hanging out with friends and family! Great pool view, and they had live music. The fish and chips were amazing – so fresh and tender.

If you are looking for a quiet place to dine, then this place is not an option! Even if you are looking for a quick bite, there are better places. They claim to have pasta on the menu, but what they served was chowmein/noodles instead. Their definition of food is problematic for what is normally understood by the items in the menu. And while having music is good, perhaps the volume can be lowered during the early evening (until 8.30pm) so as to suit people who have come to eat and not dance (not that I could see anyone dancing anyway). Not a place I would recommend in the area! There are far better restaurants around in terms of food/drinks and ambience.

Had a blast at Taphouse last Friday with a couple of my agents. The live band was fantastic they mixed Sinhala, English, and Indian songs, and we all loved it. My Indian colleagues especially enjoyed the vibe. Food was tasty, service was on point, and the whole place had a great atmosphere. I have been here a few times, and this visit reminded me why it’s one of my favourites in Colombo for a relaxed evening with music and a beer.

We went to Taphouse — the music and vibes were great, and it’s definitely a good spot if you just want to hang out and have drinks. The atmosphere was lively, the crowd was fun, and the playlist was on point. But the food was really disappointing. We had the chicken and fried calamari with onion rings, and everything tasted pretty bland and oily and too much use of sauce. The so-called “s’amuse” felt more like something an aunty would make at home — not what you’d expect from a place like this. Honestly, I’d go back for the drinks and vibe, but definitely not for the food.

Great selection of different and quirky Lion beers - the only place we found them in Sri Lanka! Sat outside, lovely breeze in the street, not a busy road. Served quickly, nice and relaxed. Reasonable prices.

Great beer. Terrible food. Stopped by Tap House hoping for a chill meal with drinks only half of that worked out. The beer was solid, but the food? Big letdown. We ordered pasta and wings both were dry, flavorless, and just badly done. The wings barely had any meat, and the pasta tasted like it came out of a packet. Service was super slow too, and no one really seemed to care. Wouldn’t go back for the food, but maybe just for a cold one and nothing else.

Tap House is a chill place with a good atmosphere, perfect for late-night hangouts. Live bands play until 1 AM to 2 AM. BYOB is not allowed, and liquor prices are quite high.

Taphouse at Dutch Hospital is all about the vibes! While it’s not the cheapest spot in town, the atmosphere more than makes up for it. Perfect for late-night hangouts, the live bands keep the energy going until 1–2 AM, and the relaxed, chill setting makes it a great place to unwind with friends. Drinks, music, and ambiance all come together perfectly here. Definitely worth a visit!

The place is spacious and not much crowded when we went here (only us and another person). It was very noisy as the band was tuning up their instruments. My goodness the drummer was the most annoying. The food was avarage and a bit dry. I hope the show that night sounds good.

Atmosphere is good. A band called Redeemers were playing they know how to entertain🕺🏽💃 great choice of songs. We had a few beers and ordered a platter I have posted the picture. Cost - Rs 4200/= crab n baby pork ribs were not available. So they added extra prawns. They could have done a bit more by adding a souse for the spring rolls and the prawns as they lacked flavor. I loved the avocado toast,hot butter cuttlefish(soft) and the spicy mini pizzas I think. I would rate the platter a 3/5. Staff , super helpful and friendly. Would definitely come back 🤗

One of the coolest bars in the Park Street Mews. Been there only once and really enjoyed the vibes and the atmosphere there, why wouldn't you with live music from an awesome band. There's long list of alcohol, cocktails and mocktails etc which everything might not be available at a given time. I didn't like the Hot Butter Cuttle Fish we ordered tho, the cocktails were good. Adequate space in the dance floor and the music goes till dawn for you to have fun. Would definitely visit again !

We have been to the Galle face hotel a few times for dinner. This was the first time we went to the Travellers’ Bar. We went here for dinner on a Sunday night. The atmosphere is always beautiful, the classiness of the hotel, the decor, the location - by the ocean, and also the food. This time it was very unpleasant and possibly the final time we would go here. The quality of the food has really degraded, in terms of quality and taste. The meals we ordered were less than mediocre and small portions for the high prices. The pork chop we ordered was disappointing, over cooked and charred. This particular dish was amazing when we visited the hotel in Nov 2022, which we looked forward to having. The other meals; the beef stew with rice and curry was ok, and so was the fish and chips. The prices are very high and the taxes and service charges makes it almost not worth coming, knowing that there are competing restaurants in the area. The service was slow and it could be because of the time we went there.

The view is spectacular and the place is well decorated. There is plenty of parking too. The customer service is good, and there's both indoor and outdoor seating space available. However, the downside for me was the prices and lack of drink options. Of course, this place isn't Halal, but hope their menu offered options like juices or even milkshakes. It is still a great place to hangout and enjoy its beachy vibes, though.

Overpriced. Portion sizes too small. Bit of a rip off actually. What's interesting is that I've been there with some foreigners about a month prior to this experience. And when we ate the portion sizes were not bad. But this second time when I dined I realised it's a bit of a rip off. Either they are not consistent with their portion sizes or they're serving different sizes for different 'caliber' of customer. Either way. I wouldn't eat from here. You'll end up with a 20,000 lkr bill for two people, and walk away underwhelmed with the meal. You may as well eat those same dishes in any other regular restaurant. Cooking style was decent, Can't complain. But it wouldn't warrant a bill that high.

Vu Resto-Bar is a rooftop restobar in the Best Western Elyon Colombo. The Best Western is on Edmonton Road and has a spacious car park if you choose to arrive by private vehicle. To get to the Vu Resto-Bar you have to enter through the Best Western's main lobby and use the elevator to get to the eighth floor. Once you do get to the top, the view is rather great with the ability to see the city of Colombo (day or night) in all of its splendor. It is the perfect backdrop to enjoy a good meal or drink with your loved ones or colleagues. The interior is well furnished with comfortable furniture and is far from an eyesore. The staff were great, had big smiles, were polite and respected our space and time. Cheers to them. Onto the menu, the drinks we ordered were served quickly however the food did take a while to arrive but since the drinks were already there, it was hardly an inconvenience plus you never know what issues are happening behind the scenes. The food was good, I cannot speak on behalf of my friends on their food, but the Fish and Chips I ordered, was rather crunchy but still rather good. They might need to make bigger portions for future customers though. Finally, I was disappointed with the cheesy fries they offered but oh well you can't expect more than cheese on fries ;) . The price of the food is moderate and what you would come to expect from other bars or good restaurants. I give Vu Resto-Bar a 4 Star rating because it is a great place to eat with a great view, polite staff with good service and food. I couldn't give them a 5 star due to the following reasons: - A slight issue with their drainage because when we got there while it was raining the floor was all wet which was not pleasant. (Minor Fault) - There was a cockroach flying around which I was afraid might land in our food. Reading previous reviews I can say there are fewer cockroaches haha (Minor Fault)

This rooftop bar is a bit underrated, maybe due to the fact that it’s not situated in the heart of Colombo. Surprisingly they offer a happy hour from 7-8pm for cocktails and a few other drinks. Justice have been served on food portions and also the taste. The batter fried calamari is perfect for sharing and so is the nachos. The cocktails were very tasty but felt like there weren’t enough alcohol in them even after downing two. The place is less occupied and hotel guests are the main crowd. Good place have pre drinks with a different view of the Colombo skyline.

Went last evening for a drink. The place is swarming with cockroaches, they have an infestation of roaches up on the rooftop. At one point all of them began crawling out of the vine that is grown around the balcony and began flying around. It was honestly disgusting to watch given they serve food and drinks. An individual named Ajith was informed of this and he acted like it’s for the first time he’s hearing of it and seemed amused. This is no joke it’s an actual food safety issue as well

This place is in the 8th floor of the Best Western hotel. Mainly people come here for alcohol it seems. And most of them were smoking. Not very family friendly. Me being a non alcoholic still had lot of things to try in the restorent. I highly recommend their barbecue chicken it is really good. The prices are little too high and their backerey items such as burgers are not that tasty. Maybe coz they are mainly targeting the crowd who comes for alcohol. They have a nice and clean washroom and there is a screen with sports channels running. It is a great place for a group of guys to enjoy their evening. Most of the customers there were couples. The staff is friendly and attentive.

This place has surprised us with an amazing time. The vibe is over the top and karaoke is fun as well. We had to pay 2000LKR per person as an entrance fee which can be redeemable by any drink you buy. Also we got free cocktails per person as well. Vibe is amazing and this is a reminiscent of a classical European pub. Interior is great it was always lively. Service is amazing too. I’ve had better cocktails in Colombo than this but these are decent as well. Maybe I’m too young for these fancy cocktails. When it comes to the crowd, most people were seniors who are here to have a good time. I assume most of them are club members and regulars here. As new comers it was a bit foreign for us. But an enjoyable one. So if you are a young single looking for a sugar daddy or something, this could be a good place. Overall a great experience. One of kind in Colombo.

Great vibe for over 35s to hang out. A gathering place for Colomboites who sing to their hearts content. Great mix of 80s, 90s DJ music in-between sets. The best time to go is a Friday after 1am.

That said, peak nights can bring technical hiccups, mic waits or delayed song plays, which can disrupt the rhythm a bit. The bar serves a broad selection of alcohol, including crafted cocktails with flair. Light bites accompany drinks nicely, though this isn’t a full fledged dining destination. Service quality seems to vary. Many nights feature friendly, attentive staff who add to the warm vibe. Other times, slow mic handling or communication barriers have interrupted the flow, pulling focus away from the entertainment. Still, if you're in the right mood and at the right time, it's one of Colombo’s best places to sing your heart out.

We came here on a Wednesday night around 9pm. No cover was requested. It was just my wife and I there at the time. But that didn't stop us from singing our songs and the KJ did not hesitate to save up our songs. He even picked one for us to sing. He noticed a trend of our love of hip hop and played hip hop songs when we were singing. They use Karafun so will likely have an extensive collection of songs. Our server was also excellent and we chatted for a bit. Unfortunately I forgot his name but he was the one who spent time working in Romania and the Maldives and is also well versed in mixology. All in all a good time.

Great music selection. The owners are super nice and the food ain't half bad. The regulars are always happy to provide back up vocals! The only downside is that the DJ is a complete turd who doesn't pass the mic in the order of requests received and plays favorites.

We waited 2 hours for our song to come while some people were singing repeatedly. The online system for queuing was not working so we had to write on a paper and just wait. The songs being played were boring. Only caters to Sri Lankans and no foreigners can possibly enjoy and sing. We had better fun singing outside by ourselves. Service was slow.

Not the best of night clubs but the food is amazing. Specially their Cheese Kottu. However, their service was pretty bad. They had charged us for something that we didn't order which we only noticed the following day. And the songs are also a bit dull.

There are new staff and management very welcoming. Stayed there since 9pm, people started walking in around 9.30pm. Decent price for a bottle of ciroc and i got compliments with it. Is Kama one of the best clubs in Colombo? I do not think even though Kama says so. I went with 3 of my mates on 20th April 2013 while I was in Holiday in Sri Lanka. We were not drunk,did not misbehaved and well dressed. But arrogent staff at the entrance did not allow us to enter the club? I was dissapointed and utterly disgusted by your way of treating your guests. I came from Kandy to visit Kama on that night. Bounces said that night is Members only night but I checked your site and it does not mentioned about memberships. Otherwise I could have taken membership for whole year.They were not concern about our situation.Right in front of us they allowed group of guys with inside contacts, to enter the club. This is discriminating people. Why guests have to go with girls/ know someone from staff or management to enter the club?? Never ever advice anyone to visit the Club. Shame of you Kama..

This is an excellent place to spend leisure time with friends while enjoying delicious food. The atmosphere here is unique, especially with live music enhancing the experience. The place offers an amazing sea view, which is particularly stunning at sunset. At night, it transforms into a different ambiance altogether. They provide excellent service as well. I highly recommend this place!

King of the Mambo is an incredible spot! The food is consistently delicious—while a bit on the pricey side, it’s absolutely worth it. The churros are hands down the best in town, perfectly crispy and indulgent. Pairing them with the breathtaking sea view takes the experience to another level. A perfect place to treat yourself and soak in some unforgettable vibes!

The restaurant is located in a beautiful setting, and with its ambient lighting and live music, it creates a great atmosphere for a night out. Unfortunately, the quality of the food fell far below expectations. I visited this place a few years ago and had a great experience, but this time was a major disappointment, especially the seafood dish shown in the photo. It certainly didn’t justify the price of 8,800 LKR; you wouldn’t pay that for this quality anywhere in the world. While the staff initially seemed friendly, the gentleman serving our table didn’t even know the names or ingredients of the dishes. I had to refer to the menu and correct him, which was frustrating and unprofessional. It’s sad to see such a promising venue let down by subpar food and poor staff training. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. This place has lost the charm it once had.

The restaurant King of the Mambo with amazing Cuban food is the highlight of the evening Galle Face Hotel. Especially Nalin who ensured that our evening was enjoyable. The food is impeccable and the ambience right out of Cuba with the vies of the ocean right there. A must visit!

We had an amazing Saturday night at this bar! The atmosphere was absolutely lively and welcoming. The highlight of the evening was definitely the live country music band. They were fantastic and brought a lot of fun to the night.

The Capital Bar and Grill, at the Shangri-La Hotel, opens at 5 pm. The entrance is a WOW, a tall wooden display of several cabinets filled with crystal glasses (see my photos). A mesmerizing welcome. Inside, it has the right ambiance, lighting and decor to be a starter place, for the rest of your evening. There is also live vocal music (jazz when I was there), that began at 8:00 pm, with a trio on instrumentals. Just had a beverage here. Excellent service.

Absolutely lovely food and lovely staff. Staff here were a pleasure to be around. Food was excellent, and I would highly recommend this place. Would especially recommend the fish which is a speciality in this area. Live music played late on through the night adds a great atmosphere, and the large outside terrace offers great views overlooking the city skyline of Colombo.

Once a hospital built by the Dutch (believed to be the oldest building in the Colombo fort area) it's a gorgeous, old building complex with restaurants, souvenir stores and other shops. The building feels like a time capsule stuck amidst high rises and modern buildings, and is well maintained so that people can enjoy this bit of history even today.

We visited the Dutch Hospital Precinct with my wife and our 10-year-old child, and it was one of the most charming spots in Colombo! The colonial architecture is beautifully preserved, and the evening atmosphere was lively yet relaxing. We had a wonderful meal at Ministry of Crab, which truly lived up to its reputation, and did some souvenir shopping at I ❤️ Sri Lanka. The area is compact but full of character — perfect for a leisurely walk, dining, and browsing local shops. It was conveniently located right beside our hotel, and we loved watching the pigeons at the front entrance — a small but lovely touch that made the place feel alive. Overall, a must-visit spot in Colombo for great food, shopping, and heritage charm, all in one place.

Best time to visit: •Evening time is best for dining and enjoying the atmosphere. •Weekdays are less crowded than weekends. It's a perfect blend of history and modernity. The beautifully maintained heritage building offers a variety of excellent restaurants and shops. The common area in the middle provides a relaxing space, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for shopping, dining, and casual hangouts, attracting families with its good brands and diverse eateries.

Beautiful structure where many people are seen chilling or site seeing. This place holds a lot of political significance and till today whatever political victories happen, the signing of documents are done here in memory of the independence Square. There's a museum too which is on one side of the structure. It is packed with history. One must definitely check it out in Colombo.

Really nice place to get a glimpse of local life and see how people in the city go about their day. It’s perfect for a peaceful walk or some light exercise — super calm and relaxing all around. You can really feel the history of the place too, which makes it even more special. Definitely recommend coming around sunset, the view and atmosphere are just amazing!

It’s a really quiet place to sit and relax. They won’t allow to take pictures of the statues and stuffs, but you can take pictures of you inside the hall. And when I sit and relax for a while then tried to read a book, they said something in Sinhala like I shouldn’t read there or anything, I was confused and had to leave. Anyway the place was amazing.

The independence memorial hall built to commemorate the country's independence from British control on 4 Feb 1948. The design is influenced by the ancient architecture of the Kandyan era. Not being properly maintained. Lighting at night is not up to the standards of similar national monuments. Apparently there's no freedom or liberty to the visitors as per the numerous notices displayed throughout the premises (which destroys the beauty and historical value of the place). No close by toilets, cafes or souvenir shops. This place needs to be maintained well, nicely lit up and opened 24 hours without manned by security (CCTV would do). Being a tourism oriented country, the authorities need to consider taking a more liberal and progressive approach in managing these places of national significance and are tourist attractions.

When I visited the square, it was not very crowded during the weekday. There are guards always on the premises who do not let you take selfies with selfie sticks or any other professional equipment. I don’t know why, but they denied me such a photo opportunity. The square has national monument in the form of the building and a monument to the nations father. There is a pool and a water fountain nearby. parking is also available. What I have not found is the toilet. In general, finding public restrooms in Colombo is a challenge.

Accident place to just chill out and see the local people. Join the culture there is a museum to and the left hand side. When you are visiting Colombo, it is a must. Visit also any political vedans are celebrated in the memory of independence.Square

Very good pub with an amazing atmosphere, good drinks and incredible food too! I have gone here for many years and they have always maintained a high standard in quality and service. The drinks are really nice and even the mocktails too. I have also always been fond of their food too and It is underrated as most see it as a pub. Their tandoori chicken is one of the best in Colombo!

Cheers Pub at Cinnamon Grand is a true classic! If I’m not mistaken, it’s one of the very first sports pubs in Colombo, and it still holds that timeless charm. The atmosphere is lively yet welcoming, making it a great spot whether you’re catching a game with friends or just enjoying a relaxed evening. The food is hearty and consistently good, the drinks are well-served, and the service is friendly and professional.

PROBABLY THE WORST CLUB SANDWICH IN TOWN & Fake prices on the Menu. The Cheers Pub has moved from the basement to the ground floor. But what a come down! It is now just another ordinary restaurant with sports screens and screaming kids. There's absolutely no Pub character or atmosphere. The Club sandwich is extremely dry and basically a lot of over toasted and burnt bread with tasteless boiled chicken, some dry lettuce without a dressing, a little bit of cheese and a little bit of what doesn't taste like an egg. The crispy bacon promised on the menu comes as unfried boiled bacon. And .... those aren't spicy chips they are over fried French fries! The prices on the menu are totally misleading. The bills come with the 30% mentioned at the bottom of the menu in small print. Taxes and the service charge doesn't change as often as the food prices. Why aren't the actual prices on the menu?

Serious facelift since I last visited in 2022, I liked the old vibe but the extra light and new bar do look superb. Menu has had some revisions which I think are strange like steak and kidney pie being served with garlic toast(?) but no potato/vegetables/gravy, and some portions quite small. Definitely not all bad as food was tasty and has a lively vibe, but I left slightly disappointed compared to the fond memories of it being a typical pub.

We had a chicken scalopini and a cauliflower nasi goreng and both dishes tasted good, pleasamt impression. The view is nice, the vibe was good and mellow for a dinner and the place was clean. Staff was friendly, we’re giving it a 4,5✨ bc there was a little pressure to leave a review at the end of the dinner. But all in all a good and vibey experience with good food!

Being used as the main office of the incumbent President of Sri Lanka. It has been named as the Presidential Secretariat. Most of the meetings by the president are conducted there. Old Parliament premises is still in good condition and used for many events. Most of the schools which have school parliaments dream having at least one of sessions there. And people have also been facilitated to watch it as a historical monument.

The Neo-Baroque style of architecture and the garden around it that houses bronze statues of eminent statesmen, make for a beautiful, warm picture of substance. The grandeur and national importance of this building makes it the perfect venue for many state events. Since it is a high-security zone, it is always patrolled by the armed forces and entry for general public is prohibited. However, it is worth a visit, even from a distance.

Bally’s Casino was an interesting experience. The games and atmosphere were lively, but coming from Canada, it felt strange to see people smoking indoors. The air was quite smoky, which took some getting used to. The experience would have been nicer if the employees were a bit more welcoming. Overall, it was okay :)

My only critique would be that the air can get a bit smoky, which might bother some visitors, and I wish there were more slot machine options for casual players. Its not sri lankan friendly and i was charged an entrace fee of Rs.15,000/- and they said that is redeamable. However the coilns i recived was 3 x 5,000/- and it was not allowed on the ruleatte table and whatever you will they do not give what you won and that time they will change it to the normal chips.. scam. Do not get caught for that. They do serve food and drinks but they watch how much you loose.. 🤭 more you loose more drinke you get. Fair enough as there's nothing comes free.

Had a good time overall! The food was great and the staff really looked after us. The tables do get very crowded though, and I’d say you need to play more carefully here than in most other casinos. Worth visiting if you know how to pace yourself.

It's quite big casino. It has free entrence. We went there with family but no proper place for kids or sitting out. Inside many tables are there. But I feel table price is higher side.

There seems to be no proper bites for liquor and only dishes of main courses (curry or oily portions). They have bottle packages and seems fair. The Dishes are but oily which seems unnecessary. I had a very disappointing experience at Colombar. The staff, especially the supervisors, were extremely rude and unprofessional. Another issue is regarding their credit card offers — they publish promotions on their website and even confirm them over the phone, but when I visited on Friday (22.08.2025), I was told the offer was not available. If such offers are not valid, they should not be advertised through the website or banks. Very disappointed with the service and lack of transparency.

We had bad experiences in there.we ordered black pork curry but they serve us chicken curry put two or three pork slices mixed with that.we asked from them that they refuse to answer on that.we asked for mix grill platter pork without beef but they send with beef sausages.at food was not good at all.

Extorniate tax of 25% gets added to the bill. This isn't mentioned or visible in advance and comes on top of 10% service charge. Coffee is 3/10. Food mediocre, heavily overpriced. The concept of the bar is good, just terrible execution. Plenty of screens: rugby, f1, football. For f1 they take reservations and ask 2000lpr entrance. They didn't tell that in advance either. You get it 'back' as food & drink voucher. Overall I felt uncomfortable here. Staff act like your friend, the tout type. Let us be and enjoy the game on tv. I told I didn't want alcohol, so don't keep talking me through your entire beer list, after I politely told no twice. Don't use my spot as the bar to constantly pass food and drinks. Please do that elsewhere. I don't need elbows pushed into me. Don't take my card and walk away with it. This isn't the US. First time I see this in Sri Lanka. Probably they work on commission here or get pushed my management. Good potential, shit execution. Come if you want to see sports, but best come with friends and be assertive. Oh and zero pressure on the taps so be patient.

Overall, I’d rate this place as average in terms of both food and service. The food portions were quite small, and while the atmosphere was decent, it wasn’t particularly memorable, yet it was ok. Unfortunately, we had an uncomfortable experience with one of the staff members who repeatedly asked us to move while we were dining to make way for a trolley. This happened more than once, and it took the manager’s intervention to stop it. It felt like some staff lacked basic courtesy, and the way we were looked at made us feel uneasy. Definitely an area they could improve on.

Went there for a few drinks. It was alright, ordered a 1 Litre of lion and it came in a jar which was hard to drink out off. Would have preferred a jug instead. Good for watching sports with multiple TV’S.

What a vibe. I went to watch an F1 Grand Prix and it is safe to say the atmosphere here is perfect. To watch sports in sri lanka this is the place to go.

The location is really good with the sea view. The staff was good where they served the ordered beverages and snacks without much delay. The main food items were pre-ordered as we had 20+ members joined for dinner. We went there together with our customers to have dinner as a team outing. We had a very unpleasant experience with the food we had where 80% of our team got really ill after a day. The symptoms were quite different but it included vomitting, diaria and fever. It was really tough and personally the worst experience I have ever had due to food. The doctors said it should be a bacterial infection due to food poisoning. We have complained about this to the relevant authorities via our company, and hope they would take needed actions over this. Surprisingly when checking the old reviews, we noticed two similar incidents happened, and the questions from our foreign customers were how such a place is operated with such past incidents.

The food was not tasty at all, very dry and disappointing. I’d rate the food 1/5. However, the atmosphere makes up for it with a solid 4/5. I recommend going after 5 PM because earlier in the day it gets really hot and can feel uncomfortable. On a positive note, Firebeach is one of the best places to watch the sunset. Worth visiting for the vibe, not the food!

The service was excellent, and a special thanks goes to Chef Asanka, who made our time extra enjoyable with his kind recommendations. It was definitely worth the money, and i am looking forward to coming again!..I highly recomended this place..

This is a great place to have a fun night out with your friends. A fun crowd comes here and you will feel comfortable when you sing even if you’re an introvert, because everyone is so friendly here. I love the whole vibe and their cocktails were good too!!

Would recommend visiting on a weekdays if you really want to sing and enjoy. Weekends there are lots of people there for drinks mainly . Overall, it has a good atmosphere and good vibes. The food is good and service is on par.

Great Vibes. Only problem - smoking inside. The AC keeps the smoke in making it stuffy as it is already a small space. Vaping is fine, but cigarette smoke is a menace and just chases people away.

I went here many times after they reopened and it was all good. The service, crowd, music everything was good. Except once recently we accidentally dropped a mic and the DJ wouldn't let us request anymore songs because "it's an expensive mic" (his words) and even went ahead to talk trash to one of my friends. Looking at the other reviews about the DJ now I'm not surprised.

Visited Stella last evening with some friends. I haven't been there in over 14 yrs but it was nice to see a familiar friendly face in Darrell. He is the reason people return to Stella. time and again..I cannot think of going anywhere else. He is polite, obliging, pleasant and has the talent to go with the job. My friends who visit more regularly was so touched by how he remembered many of her favourites she like to sing. He seems to have a good rapport with all the clientele who visit. Great job Darrell. You have not aged. The staff were attentive and it was a very enjoyable evening. Only one comment as someone who sings very often - it would be nice to tone down the music. It is so loud that one cannot hear them self sing and then one ends up trying to sing loud or shouting and with a sore throat. For many who are passionate about singing and have a platform like Stella to do so - it is nice to have a place that one can relax and enjoy a very update form of karaoke music. I was surprised as these are most of the latest tracks available on youtube. We visited Sopranos a few months back and it was very disappointing - the staff are rude and the videos are archaic. and F&B is overpriced. If the Management at Stella can take into consideration the comment about the level of sound as it is NOT a nightclub /disco where the music needs to be deafening. The new decor is beautiful. Tasteful and not overdone. It would also help to have another set of mics and may be a book of tracks. Great cocktails and spectacular food. The bulgogi beef sliders with coconut rotis were a hit and so were the wings. For cocktails; Mr.Miyagi was a cleverly named hit. But overall the most impressive was the attention to detail of the place; from the beautiful decor to the professional staff. It was delightful and chic. Highly recommend for a night out in Colombo.

Good location, quite well designed atmosphere. Cocktails cost 3000rs, but they first add service charge even when you make an order at the bar and then sum VAT to that. Appreciate your time and don't go there. Tiki cocktail is really good though

Located next to the Ramada Hotel, Ask for Fern is a lovely upmarket lounge bar. Cocktails range from 1200 upwards with a variety of snacks such as Wontongs & Chicken Wings.

I visited Basico Bar & Lounge at Hilton Colombo Residences yesterday with my fiancé, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best indoor spots in Colombo for drinks, food, and an all-around great time. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by a fantastic ambiance—an indoor setting with live music that set the perfect vibe for a relaxed evening. There’s an outdoor area too, which is great if you’re a smoker, but we opted for the indoor space with its cool, comfortable AC, and it was absolutely the right choice. We timed our visit perfectly during their happy hour, which came with an awesome 1-for-1 deal on beverages. Free drinks to kick things off? Yes, please! On top of that, the team surprised us with complimentary beers on the house later in the evening—what a delightful bonus. Speaking of the drinks, they were spot-on, but the food stole the show. We ordered the chicken fried rice, chicken satay, and deviled pork, and oh my goodness, every bite was bursting with flavor. The fried rice was perfectly seasoned, the satay was tender and juicy with just the right amount of spice, and the deviled pork? Hands down some of the best I’ve had in Colombo. Honestly, the food alone is worth the trip. What really elevated the experience, though, was the service. The team at Basico was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our evening special. It’s rare to find service this exemplary, and it made us feel so welcomed and valued. They even checked in to ensure everything was to our liking without being overbearing. I’ve been to a lot of places, and this is easily one of the best service experiences I’ve ever had. Overall, Basico Bar & Lounge is a gem. The combination of a cozy indoor vibe, live music, delicious food, happy hour perks, and top-notch service makes it a standout. We ordered chicken sambol it was super spicy yet they didn’t mention that under the plate details. Also the pineapple juice was nothing but foam than juice. The main plates were just a starter. Definitely not worth the price

It might be a bit small and lacking space inside, but they do have outdoor seats available at the side of it. I tried the Hot Chocolate and it came with cookies (as they had run out of Marshmallows), it was really wonderful. There is also light music played inside the bar area, which creates a smooth relaxing sensation. A good place to have a drink and meet up with a few mates.

Visited on Friday evening and had so much fun that my group decided to come back on Saturday night as well!! We started with some food and beers (recommend hot butter cuttlefish), moments later the place got crowded and dance floor full of people dancing (love the healthy 50-50 girls guys ratio).. DJ was keeping a great atmosphere, and service was super friendly and fast and bartender even gave us discount when we bought international bottle!! Recommend for a fun night out 🎉

Good & Happening place. Delicious food and fresh. Beer wasn't available in large amounts. Only cans for high prices. Liquor was good and bit expensive. No offers and discounts. Space is limited. But overall good place for a happening weekend / friday night.

Great cocktail and foods. There bar menu has this cool named local cocktail and I particularly loved this one called “Gahuwoth Gahanawa”. 🤟🏽🤟🏽 About foods, I ordered a pizza and it turned one of best, yummiest and juiced pizza with generous load of cheese. 🍕 Mr Bartender, also have been super nice attentive. I had a disappointing experience with my recent order. The deviled beef was incredibly tough and tasted more like stone than meat. When I brought this to their attention, they replaced it with deviled chicken. Although the flavor was enjoyable, the chicken was also surprisingly tough. Despite informing the staff about my taste preferences, the dish was still billed incorrectly. Hope this doesn't affect my stomach. I hope the management considers revamping their kitchen staff or reevaluating their meat supplier to improve the overall quality of their dishes. Looking forward to a better experience in the future.

La Vista, the rooftop restaurant at “The Ocean” Colombo had a mesmerizing view of Colombo city! 🌊🌃 Food was amazing, especially the creamy chicken pasta and crispy chicken was super delicious!! The cocktails were next level 🤩🤩 💯 recommend this place!!

It is a wonderful place at the roof top in Bentota srilanka. Offers a variety of drinks and snacks. Seaview is awesome. They deal in srilankan rupees. Also take US dollars.

Not much to see and a very quick visit. It's a lighthouse that's not very high as far as lighthouses go - you pose, take a picture and that's pretty much it. Not high on the list of what to do in Colombo.

It has its own aesthetic vibe but just to add to it they should’ve added night lights to it.

Amazing piece from the past of the colombo, looking over the city itself now. Highly recommended to visit this historic landmark in the evening because it is so calming. Specially during the sunset. This lighthouse is not that tall for a lighthouse. This is more like a space here with unique sri lankan statues and architectural elements thrown around here. Wouldn’t recommend to go to this place middle of the day because there is nothing else to see around and the stones of this place will be scorching hot and won’t be walkable.

Built after independence, Gall buck lighthouse showcases a blend of post independent and traditional architecture.The lighthouse once offered quite magnificent views of the Indian ocean from its considerably higher base which was obscured due to recent land reclamations of the port city.The base once used to perform 21 gun salute on the independence day but not anymore . Yet it offers quite a decent experience to visitors even now.

It might have been a great place to visit in the past because of its historical significance and the view that it had on the Indian Ocean, but the Colombo Port Old Lighthouse has lost most of its appeal when the failed development of Port City blocked the view. It's worth a quick visit if you happen to be in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't recommend a special trip just to see it.

Well maintained lighthouse. Perhaps the only intact lighthouse in Colombo city open to public. Good for a short visit if you are nearby. Built in a 1950s, this place, used to be a nice scenic spir with a beach view and harbour view. But now after they built the port city by filling the sea its landlocked. Lost most of its beauty and appeal. Beacuse its a Navy controlled premises, there are couple of armed security personal present. They will observe you, but wont bother you. Its worth a visit anytime, kids love seeing a actual lighthouse.

Rhythm and Blues is a fantastic spot for an after-party! The best time to enter is around midnight, and the party keeps going strong until 4 AM. We were lucky to get in by about 12:30, and the DJ was phenomenal, playing great music that kept everyone on their feet. The cocktails and drinks are reasonably priced, which is always a plus. The crowd was diverse, with a steady flow of people coming in, creating an energetic and lively atmosphere. It’s not a place with a set crowd, which adds to the fun and spontaneity of the night. Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for a vibrant nightlife experience!

The atmosphere and vibe was very cool. Once you get in there you will be able to find a super exciting chill vibe there. The pub will be placed at the center. The DJ and the dancing area has much space and you will be able to get a lot of vibe and heat there.

Once inside, brace yourself for sky-high prices: Rs. 11,352/- for two regular Bullfrog glasses and Rs. 3,980/- for two Heineken beer bottles. At these prices, you might think you’ve walked into a luxury lounge, but spoiler alert—you haven’t. Got your drink? Great. Now don’t even think about taking it to the dance floor. The bouncers are there to enforce the strict “no drinks allowed” rule. Their house, their rules. If you’re hoping to pick up a girl, well, let’s just say the odds are not in your favor. The dance floor is dotted with plenty of lonely guys nursing beers and wishing for better luck. The smart move? Eat and drink somewhere nice before coming here. The music is decent, the DJ is tolerable (likely improved by whatever you’ve already consumed), and the lights and atmosphere are inviting enough. But prepare for the overpowering smell of smoke machines—annoying to say the least. Overall, this place is tolerable if you’re arriving after midnight, already drunk, and with your partner (I did went there with my wife). Otherwise, it’s overpriced, overregulated, and underwhelming. Choose wisely before you shell out.

Hopelessly bad unprofessional bouncers. The manager doesnt even pick up the phone calls. We had 2 foreigners with us but they didnt even let them go inside. They dont treat everyone equally. They let 3 guys and 1 girl in but they didnt let us in even though we had the same amount of guys and girls. Very bad experience for the foreigners and us both

Security personnel are often the first and last representatives a guest encounters, and their behaviour sets the tone for the entire experience. In this case, the lack of courtesy, respect, and professionalism was glaring and unacceptable for an establishment positioning itself as a premier nightlife venue. This is not simply a matter of guest comfort; it is an issue of brand integrity and operational excellence. R&B would do well to urgently review its recruitment and training protocols for security staff, prioritising candidates who understand that firmness and respect are not mutually exclusive. A high-profile venue deserves security professionals who can maintain safety without compromising on dignity and customer relations. Until such changes are made, even the best music and ambiance risk being overshadowed by the unprofessional gatekeeping at the door.

It was empty when we went. The food menu is very limited, but the taste was decent. We did not have much interaction with the staff and left soon.

We went on a Thursday for ladies night and enjoyed the free cocktails. Danced the night away, the DJ was awesome. Staff keeps watch to make sure everyone is safe. We were three girls unchaperoned and had unwanted attention from men but nothing seriously damaging. So much better than most unsafe clubs.

Gorgeous place!! Went there with my husband using the hightea gift card that we received! The view is beautiful with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The short eats and dessert we received was exceptional! The iced coffee is so so rich and creamy and we couldn't help but ask for more! Will be going there again in the near future and will totally recommend it to my family and friends!!

My company recently held a conference at Jetwing Colombo Seven, and we were thoroughly impressed. We used the Kynsy Room, which was an ideal, well-equipped space for our small-to-midsize group. It would also be a wonderful spot for a private party or celebration. The standout features were the exceptional food and the stellar service. The banquet menu was delicious, with a great variety that all our attendees enjoyed. The entire staff was professional, attentive, and friendly. We are especially grateful to the Banquet Manager, Ishara, who was outstanding. She was proactive, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure our event was a success. Her coordination was flawless. I would not hesitate to recommend Jetwing Colombo Seven to anyone looking for a premium event venue in Colombo.

Stunning views and excellent service! The Restobar is a delight, and I love the whole hotel -- Lakshan, Dilan, and all the staff are courteous and quick to help with anything you need. Perfectly clean, beautifully designed and great value. Breakfast is elaborate (hotel ground floor, not restobar), with fresh fruits and juices, traditional dishes, and has great coffee. I keep coming back because this place is a dream.

We really didn't like this place! It was quite crappy with suspicious people and we didn't feel well there (indeed we stayed not more than 20 minutes). Moreover smoking inside is permitted and it was annoying. Overpriced compared to other places in Colombo!

Pathetic. It is a like a local mujra bar from India. The atmosphere is too shady. The crowd is also the same. We went in to check the atmosphere, and instantly came out. While the locals say that the club is brilliant, you better not trust it. It is not worth spending your time.

There are working girls that u have to pay and feed them.. at the end of the day.. u will not get what u r looking for if u know what i mean 🤤.. it is like u have to babysitting them.. not to mention the fake flowers are ridiculously expensive .. i would not recommend anyone to go there unless it is on weekends and if wanna just be urslef enjoying the night but do ever expect that much. Lower ur level if u wanna at least pass the night 😗😗

Colombo's newest night club with some great tunes. The air conditioning is amazing. NO SMOKING inside the club. Upstairs has a sound proof dedicated smoking area. This is one of the few clubs with an active kitchen till late with some real yum spicy Lankan feed. Point to note.. The bar has its own air con for the staff. First of its kind in Colombo. The staff is super friendly and the service was amazing. The DJ knows his tunes and tunes to the crowd!! A must go place!!

This place is disgusting because the management are thieves. There were a handful of incidences that occurred in my experience at 206 that make me feel that this place is a huge scam. I want to warn anyone from coming here and I want to educate the owners on bad hospitality. The biggest issue I have with this place is that they charge more on their bill than the menu prices. I couldn't have a good time because the staff here doesn't care about their customer - only how much money they can make from them. Look at my receipt photos. The manager first said it was tax and SC but those taxes are added after and there is no mention of the menu price on their receipt. They have about triple the staff necessary for a nightclub of ONLY MEN that make the women I came with feel very uncomfortable. They charge entry for men of at least 1000 rupees per guy. The manager apologized that their machine made a mistake but they refused to reimburse me for what they overcharged me for. I wasn't the only one they over charged from my friend group for the same drink as well as Don't go here! There are plenty of better places to enjoy your night out in Colombo.

I can say one of the best experience i had after a while.. Mostly Colombo clubs getting open and closing with short period of time. This one is opened around 5-6 months ago. And i believe "kudos" have the same management. Any way you can see many popular faces there. Spceially if there is a party not regularly night. Definitely you can find some celebrity's hanging out there. ( Just not try to bother them 😉 ). There are vip lounge in this club, so if you are not much a dancer you can ejoy the view from there. It's worth trying a visit. You will love it.

One of the best clubs in Colombo. Service and music is extremely good. People mostly gather here mostly on Fridays and Saturdays. Had a good time during my first visit here. Club is open till 5am, Booze prices are the normal club prices, and the service is superb!

The ambience and the staff service is pretty good. The DJ is horrible , there is no flow in the transition of songs, ruins the the experience. Hopefully they get better DJs in the future and up their game which they definitely can.

We had a nice experience at the restaurant. The mojito drinks were really refreshing, and the kottu was very tasty. However, the club sandwich was not as good as expected.

The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating; we opted for indoor due to insufficient lighting outside. The food was delicious, with generous portions of rice compared to other dishes. However, I wouldn't recommend the Caesar salad as it was overloaded with raw cabbage and lacking in other ingredients. The staff were fantastic, accommodating our seating request and providing prompt service throughout. The hotel itself is gorgeous and well-maintained. Overall, a memorable experience. Its a very nice place. My friend took me there as he got the membership. Its a members only club. Dont think walkins can get in. Well managed. Good interior. We had couple of drinks, played few rounds of pool. Food is very good too. Staff os friendly and nothing is too much of a fuzz. Looking forward come back on another day.

Kind of old style like English style, I am living in the post-colonial era and the modern design culture. Therefore time to time, visit it is not wrong. Friendly service, but visitors are behaving a particular way. I don’t know what that is exactly.

It was quite a nice and enjoyable place. Service is great. We ordered drinks and small plates to share. Everything was good. There wasn't much of a crowd. The DJ was playing good songs. The dance floor was empty probably as crowds have not started coming back since the April.

We ordered food from library while staying in house. The library manager Ajith took the initiative to deliver food on time and was very attentive. We were very pleased with the service provided. He was assisted by Chandima & Pathum. Very coordinated service, truly appropriated. Pizza was a pan fried pizza and was very delicious.

Nice cosy place!, was wondering why only some guests got the complimentary vegetable dip and cocktail short eats?. Is it according to what you order, when I asked the waiter for one he said its only before 5pm, but I asked him how some others got he just stuck to before 5 story!! Sad!
