Amazing location and atmosphere at this outlet! Friendly staff and very welcoming. The cake selections were really good from various varieties and flavours. The Trés Leches cake was really good. Very well balanced and light. The Biscoff cake was also amazing but a bit on the sweeter side. For the price, the portion sizes were good. Would highly recommend this place for casual hangouts or even dates. Definitely would revisit.

Butter Boutique – Sweet Heaven in Colombo! Butter Boutique never disappoints! I tried the banana matcha and honestly, it deserves 1000/10 – absolutely mind-blowing. So unique, perfectly balanced, and just melts in your mouth. The tres leches was also amazing – super soft, creamy, and full of flavor. Definitely a 10/10 dessert. And let’s not forget – they serve some of the best coffee in town. Smooth, rich, and just the right strength. Love everything about BB. Their staff are very kid and helpful. They are always smiling and that’s a big win for BB. Their food is really yummy though Iam not a fan of sugary stuff. I tried their matcha rose syrup drink today and I was mesmerized. And not to forget their coffee; they are the best. One of the 2 coffee shops I know that mixes the perfect milk to coffee ratio. Delicious food and a warm, homey place. Prices are a little bit on the high end, but the food is well worth the price. Can get a bit crowded on weekends and week nights. The only complaint I have is the service can be real slow. I've noticed several times that even though there are four or five of the staff behind the counter, but only one person runs around taking orders and bringing the food. So the service is excruciatingly slow when there's a bit of a crowd.

Pretty nice place. There’s seating available on the inside for about 12 people, and there’s more seating in the courtyard. The interior is nicely decorated. It has a welcoming feel to it. We had to wait what seemed like a long time for the food to arrive after ordering, but I can say that the wait was worth it. We had a kebab, a chicken run burger, a fudge brownie cake shake and a double cappuccino. The cappuccino was strong but creamy. The cake shake was exceptional, a little too sweet for my taste, but my girlfriend loved it. The burger was juicy and well presented with soft bread. The kebab too was quite well made. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hope to visit again soon.

Used to drop by there for desserts often. Quite nice place and has got a great atmosphere. Except the fact the interior is a bit girlish. Often I've tried the Brownie Bomb and the Giant Cookie. And, some other desserts. Favorite dessert spot so far. Liked the vibe when it's not so crowded. Takes a while to prepare the dishes though. Different kinda seating arrangements are available. Some games and an entire book shelf to kill the time until you get the ordered dish. And, the light music. Recently saw that they've got a lot of flowers. Suitable place for a date too. Has got parking for reasonable amount of vehicles. Air-conditioned, Good customer service. Tip: Try the giant cookie and the brownie bomb (with strawberries) at least once. You won't find that in the regular menu 😎

The ingredients they use here is of good quality and as a result gives the customer a mouth watering experience. Completely in love with the Fudge Brownies and the main courses. Not worth the price. So the food there is incredibly overpriced, and so are some of the drinks. I had the creamy chicken pasta and tbh it didn't taste as good as I expected and the quantity was very little! It barely half of a dish. The Nutella hot chocolate I had was also not up to any standard. The only good thing I liked was the caramel latte. Still overpriced, but at least it was good. The staff was nice tho. They didn't give us cutlery when we got our food and we went to get some before they came and offered us new ones. The atmosphere is also nice, although it did get too hot inside at one point because it was overcrowded for an event that even staying outside was cooler.

The good thing about their menu is that they got small portions for reasonable prices, so you do not have to worry about ordering something you dont like and not being able to order something else due to price factor. The prawn slider was delicious ... and the hot chocolate was amazing . That hot chocolate was just like the one i had in Italy. I have never ever had such a delicious hot chocolate in Colombo ever. Best specialty coffee we found in Sri Lanka in 3 month. The owner absolutely passionate about coffee and real expert. He has numerous sorts of coffee. As we understood he runs trainings for baristas in best coffee places in town. Food is good, has a descent cheeses as ingredients. Croissant is real croissant and made in interesting local fusion way. The portions size is much more European than lankian) The prices are a bit high, but it goes with a territory))

Cozy place with a very pleasant ambience. It's very conveniently located right off high level and surprisingly quite and peaceful given the busy location. The owner is very friendly. Unfortunately I only went there for coffee with a friend so cannot comment on the food, but the menu looked very interesting. Their coffee is great ! Highly appreciate what they are doing to support local upcoming artists by showcasing their work for zero commission. If you are a real die-hard coffee lover - this place should be in your list. Especially if you really know what good coffee is. They have decent specialty options as far as espresso for single origin beans, like pour over, aeropress. The bites they offer are also decent. Don't expect big fulling portions - this place is not about full your stomach, it's about satisfy your receptors. Also nice local art in design and friendly owner to talk to are the subjects to enjoy this place.

Hyve Dessert Bar is such a charming little spot! The place is absolutely adorable, cozy, stylish, and perfect for catching up with friends or just treating yourself. Visited Hyve with a friend for a sweet treat yesterday. Loved the vibe of the place and the interior. Very cozy and nice. I had an Iced Coffee with fudge bites while my friend got a chocolate milkshake. We both loved them all. It’s a nice cozy spot to sit with a friend, spill some tea and catch up 🤍

Desserts are ok, not great but their drinks were not good at all. We got the iced coffee, café mocha and caramel macchiato, all of the drinks barely had any coffee, and the mocha tasted so off that we didn't drink it. Totally not worth the price. The iced coffee was 1200/- for basically milk and ice. Their ambience is nice tho but I don't know if I would come again

It's a nice place for a date, and you can also bring your kids there's a small play area with a blackboard and chalks, which kids enjoy using to draw and write. The design and interior of the place are also very nice. We went there close to closing time, but they still served us without any hesitation. We tried the crème brûlée and tiramisu éclair. The crème brûlée tasted good, but the tiramisu was just okay.Have plenty of parking. Overall, it’s a good place. I would recommend it — 4.2/5.

Me and my fiance went for dinner and sad to say that the place, dishes and the service do not live upto the standards of 5 star. The two dishes we ordered were too greasy and the portion sizes are not worth the price. Had two juices and they tasted awful. The menua has a serious lack of food options. Then we always had to wait till a waiter to show up which sometimrs caused us to stay for 5mins. I highly doubt why it is been given with 5 star ratings. Will be happily gone to a more recognized place like cinnamon ot hilton.

My parents stayed a night here and had the best experience. It was my mother’s birthday and the staff went out of their way to deliver a small cake and a fruit platter to the room on arrival. They loved everything about the place- especially the staff, the library and the breakfast. They are already planning another visit for a meal there!

We went to Paradise Road Tintagel for dinner, and the ambience of both the hotel and the dining area was unmatched! The service was excellent and very professional. We had the baked crab and the pan fried salmon, and the meal was absolutely delicious with generous portion sizes. A special thank you to Asanga for your kindness, the head of housekeeping for your adventure and the incredibly beautiful young man that cared for my injured leg, for your love and balm. My injury happened when I was out walking and had checked out of the hotel and yet I was cared for by Tintagel like the dignitaries that have graced their halls before. Thank you - Tintagel sits somewhere quite special in my heart.

Stayed 2 nights in their executive suite for the last leg of our honeymoon. The snooty person who checked us in tried to put us in a smaller room but we realised and they transferred us to the correct room. Rest of the service staff were very nice so it made up for the snooty reception. Both rooms were probably once luxurious but are now old and tired and in desperate need of refurbishment/upgrading. For what's supposed to be a 5 star hotel it was really disappointing. Cobwebs in corners, paint peeling/cracked, damp spots on walls, mould in grouting in shower. Breakfast included was nice.

Although we tried different chocolates, I felt the taste was somewhat similar. The customer service needs improvement; the staff is not very attentive to customer needs. I'm absolutely in love with this boutique. It's a peaceful spot located right in front of the Cotton Collection clothing store, which offers convenient parking. However, it can only accommodate a few people at a time, as there are only four tables available. The menu is exclusively desserts, so if you're looking for hot dishes, this might not be the right place for you. The food is delicious, especially the Waffles with Berries & Cream, which are my favorite. However, the portion sizes are smaller compared to other Jagro locations, so I'm giving it 4 stars.

This place is a health hazard for people with allergies. We went for dinner and looked at the menu. Nuts are clearly outlined in the menu. That's good. We informed the waiter that I had allergies to nuts, sesame seeds and fish and asked if the naan bread had any. We were told no. We asked if the Kashmiri Kebab could have the walnuts removed and we were told 'yes'. To be clear, we also asked multiple times before ordering. When the main course came out all the naan bread had sesame seeds and the kebab had the wallnut garnish. We flagged down a waiter and were told to pick them off and that they couldn't replace the meal as this would cost extra. It wasn't specified if it would cost us or the kitchen extra, however given that it's a health issue the whole meal should have been replaced. Pictures are below of what I was able to pick off and how the naan looked. I left with an itchy throat and mouth. If I had been anaphalatic I would have left in an ambulance. Extremely poor service and charged full price for the pleasure of getting sick with the staff being ok with this.

The food was incredible - I ordered the paneer tikka butter masala & my boyfriend ordered the chicken butter masala. We had a rice & butter naan to share & had a few beers (Lion beer on tap was a treat!). All of the food was lovely, perfect seasoning & the perfect end to our time in Sri Lanka. Walked down from arcade to redeem the feelo voucher my dad had purchased The lady at front was the kindest. Got our brownies (chocolate ganache & double chocolate) warm with a side of an ice cream scoop. I loved the ganache though it was extremely sweet since it was warmed up We enjoyed the double chocolate which was just perfect in sweetness topped with some cashew. At the time we went it was being decorated and some signs were being put up in front. Brownies were perfect 🥰👌🏻 Please have water bottles if possible and also an AC that covers both sides of seating.

Update on Jan 2024: the frosting recipe seems to have changed lately. It’s been a while since I came here, so I don’t know when it started. The cupcake frosting is extremely sugary, and the butter flavor isn’t present at all. Some new essence has been added too which is unexpected and not very pleasant. Original review: Been buying little treats from here for years and just realized I haven’t reviewed it! It’s a lovely little cake shop, and their cupcakes, cakes and brownies have been consistently delicious over the years. No dry brownies here! The pack of mini cupcakes is the perfect treat for our kids’ impromptu little tea parties at home. The meringue cups are a tad too sweet for my taste but my kids love them. A tiny suggestion would be to mark prices on the name tags of the cakes.

The Cake Factory is definitely one of the best places to buy cakes. I've visited several times and also ordered online, and I've always been pleased with the taste. The cakes are rich and flavorful, though I noticed they have more of an natural flavor than the artificial, fresh ingredient taste you’d expect from high-quality cakes. The price is a bit on the higher side, but considering the quality and the experience, it’s still quite reasonable. Overall, it’s a great choice for special occasions, just be aware of the slight difference in flavor compared to cakes made with purely natural ingredients.

We had an event on 8th November at the Mahogany Room. It was the Hash Ball 2025 for the Hashing community in Sri Lanka and visiting/returning overseas Hashers. The events team headed by Madura together with Chathuranga and Nalaka were present with the Hash organizing team throughout the day with every assistance granted to us. They did an exceptional set-up headed by Lahiru. The venue looked spectacular! The Bar staff were exceptional as well. The sit-down dinner service for 150 pax was conducted with precision and the food was absolutely the best. The Chef as open to discussion regarding the choices we requested and was extremely helpful. The events team was with us right to the end and we were very grateful foe their courteous and thoughtful support. Thank you Madura, Chathuranga and Nalaka and the team for a spectacular event.

Monkey Bean Café serves strong, flavorful coffee, and their brownies and cake slices are absolutely delicious, rich, fresh, and satisfying! The French fries were also a pleasant surprise, crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. The only downside during my visit was that some interior repairs were going on, so it was a bit noisy inside. But despite the noise, the food and drinks definitely made up for it.

Lovely air conditioned coffee shop serving great coffee with smiles. Their food and breakfast spread options were great too. The manager Aravind deserves a special shout out as he just one of the most amazing human beings. I had some time between my hotel check out and the train I was catching later. I decided to go to this cafe because it has free wifi, nice views of the ocean, the ability to get some extra protein after the gym, and spacious seating so I could leave my bag without taking up too much space. The staff here are so wonderful and friendly. There are a ton of outlets available so you can easily charge your devices. I enjoyed the food and the passionfruit cheese cake was especially delicious. The bathroom was really large and clean as well. The food and drink prices range from roughly 400 - 2200LKR. They take cash and card.

I really like coming to Cafe 1959, it's a safe option for me to go to before deciding where to go next... It's a nice "stopover". Their menu is not an extensive one, just the right amount of options. As much as the food doesn't blow me away, it always is consistent. It's not amazing but I wouldn't turn my nose up at it. And their kade tea always hits the spot (hits the wallet too). Atmosphere is nice, really mellow vibe. I like the decor, the chairs you sit on are very comfortable; it's like they want you to come and stay for a while. You feel very welcomed and at home. One issue is that the restaurant overlooks it's car park area, which... is a little distracting. Good service, not amazing but good. Attentive and efficient. I wouldn't say helpful and I do find that they all look so bored, but that doesn't effect the service. I would recommend 1959 to people, local or otherwise. Just beware that it isn't exactly a cheap option to go for.

This is dessert heaven y’all. Scrumptious desserts which are very reasonably priced. Menu was very diverse. Portions were extremely generous. On principle I try not to visit the same place twice but I would definitely visit this place again. Ample space to have an awesome time and the dining area is upstairs away from the staff so it was very private and allowed us to have fun our own way. Only drawback was limited parking but that’s to be expected as that road is a busy one and all the shops on it had that issue. Definitely check this place out.

Indulge has some pretty awesome desserts! We tried the Chocolate Brownie Volcano and Biscoff Delight on a Buy one get one free offer. Snd they were both extremely good! Got a lot of recommendation for the pizza. Tried their chicken tikka pizza and BBQ pizza. The pizza was good, but I was disappointed with the quantity of the chicken on the pizza. I dropped in with much expectation but the service was awful. You will have to wait, and wait, and wait for that one guy to take your order, serve your food to the table after an hour or so, which is not worth the price. We ordered 2 submarines it wasn’t fresh and the meat was mixed with 🍅sauce no flavor at all. I ordered a cappuccino and it wasn’t presented pleasantly. My worst dining experience amongst all the wonderful places we dined in CMB. The one ⭐️ is for the ambience.

I got the Teriyaki beef sandwich valued at Rs. 750 The Nutella strawberry waffle valued at Rs. 850 2 creamy chicken buns each valued at Rs. 190 I was satisfied with the beef sandwich, it was stuffed very well and was tasty but could use a little more flavour of the beef itself. 4 out of 5 The Nutella strawberry waffle was not upto my expectations for the price point. The Nutella was good and a lot was provided but the number of strawberries were a shame. Hope this is corrected. 2 out of 5 The chicken buns were tastey, but once again price point and size wise it can improve. 3 out of 5 Overall I am defenitly going to try more of their sandwichs but not sure about the rest. Sits does delicious sticky date pudding as well as cheesecakes. But be warned, it doesn’t come cheap! The outlet is cute and cozy, it’s a pity they don’t allow dine-ins. The staff are always super busy with something or the other and usually appear quite unfriendly.

Some of the best cakes and desserts in the country. Has been to spot since I first heard of it in 2009! Large variety of desserts and flavours and they’re all amazing! Highly recommend their blueberry cheesecakes!

They had the most delicious cupcakes I've ever had. Besides the place was so nice and upscale. Went to get some cupcakes for a birthday gift. And I really loved the experience. Thank you Sits Cakes. Will be visiting again soon. Recommended for your cake and other dessert needs. Also they host birthday parties too.

No complaints about the taste and quality but the management and the service is very questionable. No one picks up the phone, unavailable items aren’t updated on uber eats leading to cancellation of orders. They say the shop closes at 5 but by 4.30 all items are sold out surprisingly often times when we make a quick visit the items are sold out way ahead of the closing time. Today we entered the premises before 5pm but they informed everything’s sold out but can see staff carrying cupcake boxes to home for their personal use probably. That’s very unprofessional and if the owner isn’t aware of staff’s activities on taking home cupcake boxes without selling to customers please take action on this. We’re mainly visiting your shop for the tasty cupcakes and desserts and it’s sad to see your lady employees leisurely taking home the cupcake boxes often when we’re visiting right before the closing time. Miss sita please take this under serious consideration. We’re big fans of your delicious cakes and cupcakes and your staff are behaving very unprofessionally and carelessly. Also to mention most of them aren’t much friendly to approach either

I bought a cake from them for my friends bday….. i was very particular about the design of the cake…. They made perfect justice to my requirement…. Loved it sooo much…. Will highly recommend them for customised cake orders

Vibe is fantastic. Service could be improved. Cutlery on tables, and napkins weren't replaced. Tried the lemon berry cake which was great. The basque cheesecake was also good. The creme Brule was average, served fresh tho. The virgin mojito was refreshing, it had no sugar at all. Which was fantastic to cut off the sweetness of cakes. Also tried the eggnog, which was something new for me. It was sweet, carried a hefty price tag tho. Over all the place is recommended, and will surely visit again.

A nice place for having a break. The Carrot Cake and Hazelnut Mousse Cake tasted delicious. Tried the Biscoff Coffee and Iced Coffee. That did not go well for us. The one-man handling the entire cafe operations was polite so I did not want to make a fuss.

I ordered a bday cake and writhing two days with all the rush they gave me the best cake I can ever imagine tasty and gorgeous looking cake . I didn’t even give them a pix just an idea . They are so creative very attentive and pleasant . Highly recommend their burnt cheese cake and Irish coffee .

I have ordered The vegan triple chocolate cupcake and cakes in jars via Uber. Cupcake was 1350 and the jar one was 2500. It’s too much the price. When they say vegan, we just had to buy it ignoring the price. I would say that I’m happy that they have this option. But the cake was not moist. Also, the icing on the jar cake was too sweet which some people might get headaches also. That much sugary. Please do take this as a feedback and not as a criticism since I’m thankful that u had the vegan option.

Picked up chocolate and vanilla cupcake from the owner’s house. Found the interaction quite unfriendly. Didn’t even smile or make eye contact. Wouldn’t recommend this cupcake, it was rock hard.

They have the best vegan desserts in town. I am constantly in search of vegan food in Colombo and can guarantee that their desserts surpass all others I've tried. The margarita cupcakes were to die for and my "non vegan" friend went nuts over the death by chocolate cake. Highly recommended!

Per scoop goes at 700/- Double scoops goes at 1100/- They have tubs as well . Gelato flavours are served in waffle cups / cones . Very friendly staff and comfy vibe in the cafe .

Omgggg the gelato is to die for. I got two tubs of 500 ml. One from passion fruit sorbet and one milk gelato with brownies and almonds mixed called brownied. They were so so good. It's on the pricy side as one tub is 1250 but honestly it's so worth it Oh and the popsicles are to die for as well. My favourites are tamarind, lime and mint, mango, passion, and mango and passion together And they don't have these nonsense packaging charges and taxes on Uber ❤️ PS I had two more flavours today Caramel fig ++ naarang mint Sooooooo good ❤️❤️

Best popsicles ever… tried the choc nut and nutella pops 1st time.. and for the 2nd time we tried the pomegranate and pistachio pops and bought home a rocky road gelato tub. The pomegranate which was fruit based pop really tasted like natural fruit. Quality-wise the best natural tasting popsicles I have ever had in SL. It’s a little difficult to find the location through google maps so give them a call if you are visiting the outlet. Wish there were more cremalato outlets around the country 🥹

This popsicle is amazing in taste wise. But completely disappointed in size wise. The size is very small compared to the price. They don't have dine in facility. The popsicle is made out of fresh fruits. Taste is superb. People should try. But the portion is very small. Thanks alot

Recently ordered some Kulfi popsicles for the father's day offer through Uber Eats. I am surprised that it arrived before melting down. It was in 3 flavours the taste is different, so should try. At least this is the first time I tried Kulfi. The presentation is good. I would say if you get a chance to visit and eat is the best option. One if the Kulfi's I kept in freezer turned into a strange ice cream. To be honest I would say the price is above average for its quantity. But for the new experience and the quality I will rate this 5 till I try something new from their listings.

I ordered two ice cream cakes for Easter Sunday dessert; Nutella and the Faluda ice cream cake. It was amazing, it tasted really good and fresh. My whole family loved it. Highly recommended.

La Creme is our go to place whether it's a celebration or simply for a sweet craving! Their ice cream cakes, profiteroles and meringues are must try out items. Their consistency on taste, quality and presentation is why we keep going to them. All the best Team La Creme!

I have been ordering from La Crème Ceylon for the longest time and their desserts taste as good as it did the first time I tasted them. I would recommend all of their products specially their Ice cream cakes which are super delicious. Extremely reasonable prices. Recommend 100% You can visit their outlet on Rosmed place. Has ample parking.

Did not plan to visit this place, but only visited because we were in the area and the slice of cake we purchased was dry as hell. The icing didn’t even taste like icing. It tastes like peppermint. 😩

I ordered Nutella ice cream cake and it was horrible,the worst I’ve ever had,only the nutella dressing on the top adds a bit flavor and rest is a nightmare,and as it cools down the ice cream becomes some sort of a pudding,it jiggles😂 i would never recommend eating here👎🏻

Jagro is famous for strewberries and desserts. I have tried Strewberry Cheese cake from Jagro - City Center branch. It was very delicious. Price was 700 LKR. The portion is good and has fresh strewberries and strewberry wrapping with a sweet cheese cake slice. Not onky the desserts, they have several kinds of salads too. Service is good and they quickly serve the order.

The cake looked amazing and tasted even better. The strawberries very fresh and the cake was moist. There was a generous amount of chocolate sause and whipped cream which we loved😉 Worth the price

Sadly giving one star to a local business.. beacause I ordered the kit kat mousse on uber eats two times.. not once but two times!! Two seperate days.. as it was shown as available, but both times after even the delivery guy arrived at their place they just casually called me and asked to cancel the order (which is not possible for customers on uber eats app and have to follow a lengthy process by phone call to an agent) because they don't have it in stock. Their mousses are said to be really good as few of my friends have had the chance to try it out.. but until you guys get your act together 1 star from me.. really sorry guys.. because 1. It's not rocket science for you guys to log in an put it as out of stock 2. It was a real inconvenience for me 3. Didn't even bothred enough to inform me or the delivery guy before he got there which wasted more than 30mins of his time which he could've done more deliveries
