I had the chance to visit T Lounge in Colombo and it was a truly unique experience. The variety of teas they offer is astonishing and each one feels carefully crafted. The tea experience itself was superb and the ambiance of the place makes it even more enjoyable. The service was a little slow start but picked up later . The food was also very good and paired well with the tea. The place itself is an experience and I’m glad I found this place . Plenty of variety to try their tea and I’d surely come back Overall, T Lounge is a wonderful spot to enjoy a relaxed tea experience. The atmosphere is warm, the tea selection is excellent, and the food is worth trying. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo.

Dropped by t-Lounge by Dilmah and had their katsu chicken burger and Kandy Lamissi Iced tea – absolutely delicious! The portions was generous and definitely worth the price. The menu has a great spread with plenty of interesting options. Looking forward to my next visit!

Recently hosted a surprise high tea for my wife's birthday here. The staff were very helpful (Chamara) and flexible for a lot of my requests. The event went of very well and it was an overall very pleasant experience. Definitely will come back here again.

These iced teas were incredible. Honestly, they beat every tea or lemonade I’ve ever had in Europe. Perfectly balanced, super refreshing and full of flavor. If you’re even remotely into tea, don’t skip this place.

Had a wonderful visit to t-Lounge by Dilmah. Tried their tea-infused Tres leches and it was such a treat – rich and flavorful. A unique twist on a classic dessert. The overall experience was great, with a lovely ambience and friendly service. Will definitely be returning to try more!

I am quite frequent visitor here, I love the tea ranges, my favourite would be the cardamom tea. Food here is also marvellous with a good quantity and it's served fresh. 5⭐️ for the service and feel you get in here.

I had such a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Red Colombo! From the moment I walked in, the receptionist made me feel so welcome, and check-in was super easy. The rooms were clean, comfy, and just perfect, and the room attendants took great care to keep everything tidy. The restaurant staff, security team, luggage counter staff, and managers were all friendly, professional, and made me feel safe and valued. The food was amazing, and the hotel felt super organized and cozy. A special shoutout to the receptionist and call center staff who helped me with a payment issue I had with Rehlat.com — they were so patient, helpful, and really went the extra mile to support me. It made me feel truly cared for! Honestly, every part of my stay — from the comfort and cleanliness to the incredible service — was perfect. I can’t recommend Cinnamon Red Colombo enough and will definitely stay here again when I’m in Colombo!

We truly appreciated their attention to detail and warm hospitality. Overall, this is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Colombo excellent service, value for money, and a beautiful atmosphere. Good hotel. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. A supermarket is nearby. We enjoyed our 4-night stay and would stay there again if we revisit Colombo. One disadvantage is that you cannot open the windows, not even a little, for fresh air. And they have 3 elevators, so in rush hour, we waited 10-15 min for the elevator.

We had a nice stay at Cinnamon Red Colombo. The location is super convenient, right in the middle of everything, so it was easy to get around and explore the city. The staff were friendly and I want to give a special shoutout to Nimesha, Dilini, and Dinisi, they gave us some tips on cool places to check out in Colombo. One of the highlights for us was definitely the rooftop infinity pool. It’s such a nice spot to relax and enjoy the view after a busy day of sightseeing. Plus, the atmosphere up there is pretty chill and perfect for unwinding. Breakfast was good, there was a great variety of options with tasty food to fuel up for the day ahead. All in all, Cinnamon Red Colombo felt like a really comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.

A really good hotel in downtown colombo and has really good connectivity too most important regions. Luckily we got a room on the 21st floor with an amazing panoramic view of the cityscape and a bit of the coast as well. The continental breakfast they offer here is nice and has good variety. However, there is room For improvement in some items like the baked stuff the pancakes and waffles. The room was very clean and when we informed that we had booked for a room with a bed and sofa-couch, they moved a foldable bed into our room. Only one point to note is that the staff don't usually help in moving your luggage to the room so it's all up to you to take it to your room.

On 2025.11.06, a group of 9 of our family members and friends visited Cinnamon Red's Flavor Red restaurant for dinner. Our experience there was very unpleasant. There was nothing as stated in their promotions. There was very little variety of dishes. There was no food that our little daughter who went with us could eat. There was only one seafood dish. There was no choice. There was nothing to talk about the side dishes. The few side dishes that were available were also very tasteless. Although the name states that it is an international buffet, in the truest sense of the word, it is a poor buffet. There were very few people there on the day we went. I feel that all of them must have been there for the first time like us. The best advice I can give to those who are thinking of going to this restaurant in the future is to not go there even once. Star class If you want to enjoy a dining experience, choose another place. Otherwise, both your money and your hopes will be wasted.

Galle face hotel is all about history, colonial charm, and one of the best location in Colombo! The service there is excellent, staff are well trained. The entire property is very well kept, every part is history. It is directly facing the Indian ocean, watching sunsets and sipping a cool drink by kbe of their bars is a must do! This is part of what makes fond memories of Colombo. Let's talk about the room. I have one of those standard room, which is a bit further away from the main foyer. But good thing is, it is closer to the restaurant that serves buffet (excellent btw). Because it's an old property, many parts are made of wood, floor creaks when u walk even window frames are made of wood. The window didn't cut out much noise from the ocean waves and the band playing until around midnight. The electric plugs are old, some of the cables of the lights are torn and pose great risks. The hot water system is intermittent, hot and cold randomly. In my opinion, this part of the property really could do with a make over and modernization. But the room rate is very reasonable. So, all in all, it isn't a bad experience at all. I recommend to anyone to stay here once, to get that experience of staying at a charming iconic hotel.

We stayed two nights here. Staffs are very friendly and assist with everything. The location is very good. We had high tea at their restaurant it was really good. Generally food is very good. You get historical old world experience there. The museum and the history of the place is interesting. I give 4 stars because the place has a bit of smell and lot of moisture. Floors are very slippery we had to be very careful when we walk on them. I will definitely recommend this place.

A ‘must stay’ when visiting Colombo - while it may not be the ritzy new hotels, the charm and colonial quaintness is what you experience. Bagpipes played at lowering of the Sri Lanka flag at sunset, G&Ts/cocktails on the lawn or patio, or lounging by the 25m pool (salt water, filtered from the sea) - I am so glad we cancelled our local ‘new’ hotel to stay here. The staff are extremely friendly, polite, but not overly ‘hovering’ and all are very proud of the Galle Face traditions. Established in 1864 you get yesterdays charm with tomorrows comfort! Beds were comfy, room was quiet, and wonderfully cold after our warm day walking around Colombo. We did not buffet dine, but ordered off the A la carte menu on the patio - excellent taste and well prepared. You won’t regret your stay!

I visited there for the boxing day High-tea with my friends. The galle face sea view as we all know is breathtaking. The food was good. The buns were a little dry however there wasn’t any other dishes disappointing us. This is one of the oldest five-star hotels in Colombo. I have been there for Lunch buffet as well. Would rate it 4/5 overall

All in all, a pleasant stay at Hilton Colombo. While it didn’t quite feel like a full 5-star experience, the front of house staff were a real highlight. Bakhti and Daniel, in particular, stood out — friendly, attentive, and professional. Bakhti even arranged a lovely cake and decorated the room for my parents’ anniversary, which was a really thoughtful touch. The breakfast was a bit chaotic, and the food and drink quality could be improved, but despite that, the hotel is a great base for exploring Colombo. It is very safe, secure, and gorgeous, with a lovely courtyard featuring a water feature and swans. I’d happily recommend it for a comfortable stay.

We had an amazing anniversary stay at Hilton! Everything was excellent from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make our day special. Housekeeping (Kumudu) provided great service, and we were surprised with a delicious cake and beautiful towel bed décor. The hospitality was outstanding, and the restaurant Graze was excellent. I made a reservation for 8 people for Oktoberfest on 9th November 2025, & I made the payments on 02/10/25. Made the payment early Hoping to reserve a good table , Some one called Kavindya (table reservations) took the booking. Called her few times requesting for a menu (for few of my foreign friends) she never got back to me.. We managed to arrive on the venue around 7:15pm again to grab a good spot & 98% of the tables were empty, she said there was a change of tables, and she took us & ask us to sit in a corner table so far away from the stage. Like on the last row, when we asked for a table near by she said “All the tables are reserved! & if you want she can refund the money” I asked for her manager & a lady call Natasha clams to be the manager came & said the same.. they couldn’t explain when I asked them on what basis you reserved the other tables. I argued with her saying if there is a table resavation or a table number why didn’t take responsibility to mention it on the ticket it self when we make the booking. It’s very disappointing to see how these women (your staff, so called managers ) act to ruin the good will of this international hotel, they make Favourations for people they know & treat other guests poorly. I hope the management will take action towards these people & look in to this issue without ignoring these situations. People spend money & come there to have a good time enjoy. Don’t make it a habit of running it for others so because you want treat your own special. We won’t be tolerating these kinda behavior from Colombo Hilton. I need a feedback regarding this or I will be contacting who can assist to this.

Review: Oktoberfest VIP Experience So, what can I say? I decided to splash out on a VIP ticket for Oktoberfest, thinking it would offer something special, a bit of extra comfort, service, or at least some recognition for the higher price. Unfortunately, it really wasn’t worth the money. There was absolutely no difference between the VIP experience and the standard ticket. No perks, no extras, and the staff seemed completely unaware of what the VIP option even included. I actually had to go and ask someone what was supposed to be “VIP” about it, and even then, no one seemed to know. Honestly, if you’re thinking of going, save your money and just get a regular ticket. You’ll have exactly the same experience without paying the premium. That said, the food was quite good and the atmosphere was lively enough for what it was, festive, a bit chaotic, but fun in its own way. Just don’t expect anything remotely “VIP” about the so-called VIP section.

Hilton Colombo offers an outstanding hospitality experience right in the heart of the city. The staff are warm, professional, and always attentive to every detail, making guests feel truly cared for. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, offering great views and modern amenities. The restaurants serve excellent food with a wide variety of local and international dishes, and the buffet is always a highlight. A perfect blend of comfort, class, and genuine Sri Lankan hospitality — highly recommended for both business and leisure stays!

The experience is wonderful. Food is super nice looking as well as taste is wonderful. But the talking about the price point, portion is not values for the price. But overall the experience is super good. Further have to mention on the Happy Hour drink offers. Worth the price. And as at today, 33% VAT is charged. Overall if you are trying out outlets in dutch hospital, Heladiv tea club is a must.

The day I visited they were unable to serve food and their tea selection was minimal. It was not exactly a tea club but just an area with some seats club. The tea I was able to buy was quite bland, the server forgot to provide milk and when milk was provided it came in teenie tiny little thumb sized miniature cup. Not enough to say the least. And, as per usual, it was unnecessarily expensive for what we got. We were the only two customers inside, the atmosphere was pretty boring. Nothing really to look at and the music was so so. Luckily this was only just a stopover, a quick "in and out" situation as we had plans to get on with. So it served as a great moment to sit in an air conditioned room for about 30 minutes. I think that was the highlight of our visit here.

Finally found the only place in Colombo that serves shisha from 8:30AM with correct working hours. However, their expected time of preparing shisha is 30-40 minutes. Hookah is bad but average for Colombo. They do it only on the terrace so the coils are always closed and burn tobacco very fast. They have only Adalya like tobacco or something, so you know the deal. I also had a fruit platter which was served for 30 minutes in the evening. Quality of these fruits were below average, but still enjoyable. At nights, they can miss your request and ignore your asking at all.

One place that have never let us down.. Been there several times now and the service was great and consistant irrespective of the server. Food is always great; in love with the mustard pork bite and the chicken sliders. All the signature cocktails are amazing ( beware of the high alcohol % though 😉). With the all day BOGOF it is the ideal place for a meetup anytime of the day.

Located at Dutch Hospital surrounded by many other restaurants and pubs. Quiet place during lunch hours, but crowded during the evenings. Since most of the people come to relax after work, gatherings. Parking space is common for all the restaurants and need to take a ticket, which is not computerised, but managed by a group of people. Food was good for price especially Caramel Tea. Alcohol is also available. Friendly staff.

I frequently visit Tea Avenue in Jawatta, especially during my breaks from working from home. It’s the perfect place to get some work done while enjoying coffee and snacks. It’s also ideal for small meetings. The staff is consistently courteous and friendly, and I’d like to particularly highlight Ramika Vidusara (I hope I got the name right), who always goes above and beyond to assist with exceptional courtes

Great Food, Great Value, and a Super Smooth Digital Experience! I recently visited Tea Avenue Jawatte and had such a positive experience! The entire staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in.The new digitalized ordering system is truly a game-changer. It was really easy,we just had to scan the QR code, choose exactly what we needed, and then had the option to pay online by card or pay at the counter with the new digitalized system. The efficiency was amazing; even though it was a bit busy at the moment we walked in, this system made placing our order quick, and our food was ready super fast, landing on our table within minutes.A big shout-out to Ishen and his colleagues for introducing the digital menu to us and ensuring we were comfortable with the process. That level of service, combined with the convenience, really sets them apart.On top of the great tech and service, the food delivered! The portion sizes were really good, and honestly, the food and beverages were totally worth the price. Great value all around. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I recently made a special order for red velvet cheesecake which was one of their best cakes. I tasted the cake, it was not as good as it used to be before, the red velvet cheesecake supposed to have sponge cake with sugar syrup but this time it had normal butter cake, also the cream cheese frosting was quite less, anyway I was half way happy with the frosting. Hope your quality improves. The standard of TEA AVENUE has regressed so much 😕 I felt it was not worth for the price, cheesecakes are expensive due to their cream cheese,but this cake had more of cake and less of cream cheese :(( Compare pic 1 and pic 2 ( pic one the cake that I had before and pic 2 the cake I got yesterday)

Hot chocolate was excellent, delicious and soft chicken burger and waffles too. And the staff were incredibly friendly. I was served by Januli, who was very helpful and friendly. Definitely looking forward to visiting again!

Delicious food and a warm, homey place. Prices are a little bit on the high end, but the food is well worth the price. Can get a bit crowded on weekends and week nights. The only complaint I have is the service can be real slow. I've noticed several times that even though there are four or five of the staff behind the counter, but only one person runs around taking orders and bringing the food. So the service is excruciatingly slow when there's a bit of a crowd.

Pretty nice place. There’s seating available on the inside for about 12 people, and there’s more seating in the courtyard. The interior is nicely decorated. It has a welcoming feel to it. We had to wait what seemed like a long time for the food to arrive after ordering, but I can say that the wait was worth it. We had a kebab, a chicken run burger, a fudge brownie cake shake and a double cappuccino. The cappuccino was strong but creamy. The cake shake was exceptional, a little too sweet for my taste, but my girlfriend loved it. The burger was juicy and well presented with soft bread. The kebab too was quite well made. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hope to visit again soon.

Used to drop by there for desserts often. Quite nice place and has got a great atmosphere. Except the fact the interior is a bit girlish. Often I've tried the Brownie Bomb and the Giant Cookie. And, some other desserts. Favorite dessert spot so far. Liked the vibe when it's not so crowded. Takes a while to prepare the dishes though. Different kinda seating arrangements are available. Some games and an entire book shelf to kill the time until you get the ordered dish. And, the light music. Recently saw that they've got a lot of flowers. Suitable place for a date too. Has got parking for reasonable amount of vehicles. Air-conditioned, Good customer service. Tip: Try the giant cookie and the brownie bomb (with strawberries) at least once. You won't find that in the regular menu 😎

The ambiance and the interior is classic and so artistic. It gives you a comfortable feeling to just walk around the place. The food is simply delicious. The ingredients they use here is of good quality and as a result gives the customer a mouth watering experience. Completely in love with the Fudge Brownies and the main courses. The beverages are well prepared and soo scrumptious. Recommending this to anybody who are food lovers.

Not worth the price. So the food there is incredibly overpriced, and so are some of the drinks. I had the creamy chicken pasta and tbh it didn't taste as good as I expected and the quantity was very little! It barely half of a dish. The Nutella hot chocolate I had was also not up to any standard. The only good thing I liked was the caramel latte. Still overpriced, but at least it was good. The staff was nice tho. They didn't give us cutlery when we got our food and we went to get some before they came and offered us new ones. The atmosphere is also nice, although it did get too hot inside at one point because it was overcrowded for an event that even staying outside was cooler.

Food is simply great!! The rose and lime drink was something unique and loved it. Personally felt the portions were too big, and a little too expensive than the usual. The staff is extremely friendly and provide a great service. A very chilled out, cozy, calm and spacious place.

Mitsi’s has had its own vibe, and the last time I was there was in 2020. Dropped in last week, and had the Chicken Biriyani. I think it’s premade and they just heat it and serve. The flavors were quite good, but I’d love if it was served more hot than they did. I also tried their Lemon Meringue and that was delish! Food was delicious and the service is friendly. We had a platter for 2 pax and it didn’t disappoint, the food was delicious. The prawn kebab can be a little presentable and different but can’t complain about the taste. Service was very nice, accommodating and quick. If I have any feedback to give is about the location. The place can be a little more cleaner and the washroom needs a big upgrade and a thorough cleaning. Where you eat needs to be tidy and nice so that was a little off for me so if it can improve this is like one of the best place for food hands down.

The portion size is well worth the price, and the taste was absolutely amazing! it definitely makes you want to come back again! The only drawback was the slow service, likely due to how busy they were at the time. Still, the ambience was pleasant and added to the overall enjoyable experience.

I’ve tried maqlooba at all the popular spots, but this one’s honestly the best. The flavors are way richer, and the cashews and sultanas give it a nice little twist that makes it different. I’ve always loved their Death by Chocolate, Biryani, and Red Velvet, those are my go to dishes every time I visit. If you like strong flavors and good quality, you’ve got to check this place out.

A Deeply Disappointing High Tea I visited the Ramada for their high tea buffet last Sunday (05/10/2025) with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing on two main fronts: service and food. Service: The staff were not welcoming, with a noticeable lack of smiles or warmth. We also found them to be inattentive; we had to repeat simple requests multiple times as it seemed they weren't fully listening. This created an unwelcoming atmosphere from the start. Food & Variety: The food selection was very limited and did not live up to the standard of the hotel. Savories: The options were minimal, basically consisting of rottis, sandwitches and a very few types of buns. There was a distinct lack of the variety and local short eats one expects. Desserts: This was the biggest letdown. The selection was just basically cake. The chocolate fountain was dysfunctional—the chocolate was so runny and thin that it wouldn't stick to the marshmallows at all. The Final Insult: When I politely shared my disappointments at the end, the staff member simply said "thank you" without any apology or assurance that they would consider the suggestions. It made me feel as if my feedback was invalid and that they have no intention of improving. A simple "We're sorry to hear that, we will share this with the team" would have gone a long way.

The location is excellent — right in the heart of Colombo, close to the Galle Face Green and other main attractions. The pool area and pool bar are definitely highlights, offering a relaxing space to unwind. However, the rooms are showing signs of age and could really use a renovation to match the hotel’s great location and brand name. The food options were average and could be improved, especially in terms of variety and taste. Overall, a convenient stay with potential to be much better with some updates and upgrades.

I have stayed at Ramada Colombo many times before, but my most recent experience was very disappointing. During my stay, I misplaced my reading glasses, which had sentimental value as they were a gift from my wife. I am certain they were left either in my room or at the restaurant. Despite informing the staff and even providing the exact time to check CCTV, no one made any real effort to help. I called several times afterward, but the response was careless and unprofessional. While I understand that belongings are my responsibility, a reputable hotel should still show concern and assist its guests—unfortunately, this was not the case. Housekeeping was also below standard. The room was not properly cleaned, and I was once served watermelon juice in a visibly dirty glass, which was unacceptable. Although a few staff members were helpful, overall service and management failed to meet expectations. Sadly, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Ramada Colombo anymore

so we went for hightea , The amount of food that was presented is insane for the price ... I love the waffle station plus the hopper station they were supper delicious.. There were several other options for beverages , you can make your self some tea or coffee with or without milk . even drinks like iced coffee and some fruit juice were available.. moreover there were Srilankan food meaning rotti, and curries along with rice and stuffs. we also had sushi , sandwiches and a bowl of fried rice with chicken ... There were soo many food I have listed only few of them ... you would also find varieties of deserts plus ice cream they tasted next level... overall I love the experience, The service was great and oh the ambience there was superb.

We are Platinum members of Wyndham Rewards. This is the 3rd time we are staying in this hotel using Rewards Points. Last stay was only a few days ago for two nights. We were given breakfast on both previous stays and while we were at breakfast today (22/8), we were informed by the Guest Relations Officer Madhavi that we are not entitled for breakfast as the hotel (not Wyndham) had changed the policy. When she was told that we were given breakfast when we stayed a few days ago, she said it was a decision taken about 3 days ago, which we do not believe. When I asked her if that is the situation why we were not informed at checking in she said it was a mistake and to compensate for that only the person under who’s name the booking was made, will be given complementary breakfast. This is a bloody joke as they expect one person to get complementary b’fast and the other person in the room who also happens to be a Platinum Wyndham member, to pay for the breakfast. Then when I said this is not what we have experienced in other countries, Madhavi said she will ask the Front Office Manager by the name of Nipun Thillakaratne. Later she called my mobile and said the same as before. I said I’m not willing to accept complementary breakfast for only me as that is discrimination. I then asked Madhavi to write down the names of those who were involved in this decision and also to mention that the hotel has made a decision not to provide complementary breakfast for Wyndham Rewards bookings. She said she has no authority to mention that but wrote the two names on a piece of paper. At this stage I asked her if she has authority only to tell that we are not entitled for complementary breakfast but it can’t be put in writing. This is the worst hotel in over 30 countries we have been to and this is going to be our last stay here. The front office personnel are not friendly at all and are least helpful. Same with the restaurant staff. We have to ask for serviettes, and water. They walk past the tables as if they are blind and dont see that we are waiting for water or a serviette. Wyndham members PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE MAKING RESERVATIONS IN THIS HOTEL. If you want to enjoy Sri Lankan hospitality go somewhere else. Now, I’m sure there will be a reply for this message from the hotel management with a load of bull crap. The picture is the piece of paper with the names written by Madhavi.

We tried the weekday dinner buffet at Graze Kitchen, Hilton Colombo, to celebrate my mother’s and father-in-law’s birthdays. We were a group of 8, and I had emailed the team in advance to let them know about the celebration. They kindly replied saying that two complimentary cakes would be arranged, which we thought was a lovely gesture. However, on the night, they only brought out one cake at first. This felt a little uncomfortable as it overlooked one of the birthdays. Once I mentioned it again, they did bring out the second cake, which we appreciated, but it would have been much nicer if it had been handled smoothly without having to remind them. The food overall was good, though the buffet didn’t have as wide a variety as we expected for a Hilton dinner spread. There were sections for Indian, Chinese, and Sri Lankan cuisine, along with a few pasta and pizza options. The Japanese section was a little disappointing — to my surprise, there were no dumplings, and the sushi corner was quite small with only a limited variety. On the other hand, the dessert spread was excellent, with a generous range of sweets that everyone really enjoyed. Service throughout the evening was generally very good. Most of the staff were polite, attentive, and helpful, which made the evening pleasant. The only downside was that towards the end of the night, one waiter came across as a bit rude, which slightly took away from an otherwise smooth service experience. ✨ Overall, Graze Kitchen is a nice spot for a celebration. The food was good, the desserts were impressive, and the service was mostly commendable, but a greater variety of dishes and more attention to detail in handling special requests would make the experience truly exceptional.

The place was packed, mostly with people from formal and corporate backgrounds — so it’s definitely best to make a reservation in advance. The buffet offered a decent variety of dishes for the price (around 7,000 LKR). Taste-wise, nothing was disappointing — everything was well-prepared and flavorful. 💡 Tip: Don’t skip the coffee at the end — a good cuppa really helps melt all that delicious food away.

Graze Kitchen at Hilton Colombo is honestly one of my all-time favorite spots for family and friends’ outings! Every time I visit, the food, the service, and the whole atmosphere are just perfect. Their à la carte menu is absolutely worth the price.. everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious and well presented. I have to be honest though, I tried their dinner buffet once, and it wasn’t really my favorite. The taste didn’t match the high standard of their à la carte dishes. But other than that, everything else has always been amazing! My go-to order is their Tuna Sandwich ❤️ it’s unbelievably good, fresh, and full of flavor! 😍 This time I tried the Seafood Noodles, and trust me, it was simply next level… so tasty and well-balanced! Also, I really want to mention one of their supervisors or managers.. he’s always dressed neatly in full kit and so friendly! He actually remembered me from my previous visit and came over to say hello again, which honestly made my day. That kind of personal attention and memory for guests shows how truly professional and kind the staff are here. Overall, Hilton Colombo’s Graze Kitchen never disappoints. Great food, lovely staff, comfortable ambiance, and service that makes you feel special every single time. Can’t wait to go again soon! 💖✨

Went for the dinner buffet and really enjoyed it. The staff was excellent. There’s a big variety of food Sri Lankan, Chinese, Japanese, and more. They also have a juice corner. Most of the food I tried was great. Only downside was the dessert corner, which was smaller than other hotel buffets in Colombo. They also offer a free service if you’re celebrating something, which is nice.

I stayed here alone for one night. The location is excellent, with easy access to all the nearby commercial buildings. The hotel is located directly in front of the sea, offering a beautiful view. The rooftop swimming pool is amazing, and the bar there is perfect for relaxing. The rooms are very modern, and the hotel has an elevator that provides access to all floors. The dining area is very nice, with an international buffet available. Overall, it was a great experience — I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Grandbell Hotel (Aug 2025) and overall had a pleasant experience. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and well maintained, and the washroom was excellent with the latest technology and very clean. It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay overall. The lunch buffet, however, could have been better. The spread wasn’t as impressive as expected for a hotel of this standard, and I felt there was room for improvement in terms of variety and taste. What truly disappointed me was the experience after check out. I had accidentally left my watch behind and realized it just a few hours later. I called the hotel immediately and clearly mentioned where I had left it, but despite several follow ups, I never received a proper response. I was told the lost and found team would check, but they never got back to me and eventually said nothing was found. It was disheartening, as I believe items left behind by guests should be handled responsibly and returned whenever possible. It’s unfortunate that this experience overshadowed what was otherwise a very pleasant stay. With better communication and accountability from the staff, this could have been a perfect visit.

Extremely Unprofessional Reception Staff – Formal Complaint We stayed at this property on 28th October as a group of 18 people. Despite making a 100% advance payment two months prior, our rooms were not allocated until the next day (29th October), and even then, we were split across three different floors. For a group booking with提前 full payment, this level of mismanagement is completely unacceptable. When we raised this concern, the reception casually responded with, “We don’t allocate rooms in advance.” If that’s your policy, then why take full payment upfront? It feels like a straight-up misrepresentation. But the worst part of our stay was the appalling behavior of the reception staff — Kevin and Yonal. They were rude, arrogant, dismissive, and completely lacking in basic customer service skills. They refused to help us or even speak politely, and made us feel as if our stay didn’t matter at all. Their attitude was literally: “Stay or don’t stay — it’s your choice.” We had senior citizens and children in our group, and we repeatedly requested rooms on at least two floors. This is a basic and reasonable request, but it was outright denied without empathy or any effort to accommodate us. The only positives: • The location and views are great • The infinity pool is a highlight • Food is acceptable But none of this can fix the damage done by the unprofessional and disrespectful reception staff. Unless the management improves staff training, I would strongly warn others against staying here, especially if you expect basic courtesy and professionalism.

I have been staying at Grandbell Colombo since the day it opened and have always enjoyed my visit. This time, I booked through Agoda almost two weeks in advance. A day before check-in, I called the hotel to reconfirm, and the staff I spoke with were surprisingly unhelpful. I could even hear them laughing in the background while I was asking to speak with the reservations team. Eventually, i reached out to the Reservations team the next day and confirmed the booking. But when we arrived, despite having booked and paid for a double sea view room, we were checked into a city view room instead. When I raised this at reception, the staff insisted that “Booking.com doesn’t allow guests to choose room types or views” even after I explained that I had booked through Agoda, not Booking.com, and showed them the confirmation. After waiting over 45 minutes at the front desk, we were finally given the correct room. I had also arranged a birthday cake for my wife, which the hotel had kindly offered to provide complimentary but it never arrived. What’s most disappointing is the attitude and lack of accountability throughout the process. I’ve recommended Grandbell to many friends and family visiting Sri Lanka over the years, but after this experience, I’m honestly reconsidering that. A guest’s value shouldn’t depend on whether they booked directly or through a third party. Grandbell used to stand out for its professionalism, I genuinely hope management reads this, looks into what went wrong, and takes steps to restore the level of service that once made this hotel so special.

We had travelled as a family and the stay was very average. The good things about the hotel is the location and the awesome view from a higher level. Although the beach is not accessible, but it does command a splendid view of the Indian Ocean and the nearby railway station. The food buffet was awesome with well. Curated menu items to suit every palate. It’s really worth the money to have a package which includes the buffet. The room service is very slow The rooftop infinity pool provides breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and the Colombo skyline However, we did face a few issues during our stay. The check-in process was not very smooth. The check-in counters are usually very crowded. The staff is interested only to chat with visitors from the western hemisphere. Although we had paid beforehand and the reservation was confirmed, it took a long time for the check-in staff to verify the credentials and check the payment status. The lobby is very uninspired And crowded specifically because of the slow check-in and check out process. There is no staff to guide you into the rooms, we saw undue importance being given only to tourist from the western hemisphere while Indian and other South east and far east tourists were not given the same attention. It felt very discriminatory And uncomfortable. Although the prices remain the same for everyone we were surprised at the lack of professionalism . We were not even show our rooms or guided upstairs. We were just given the keys and told to go to the to our rooms. In this world where customers are treated like king and hospitality industry goes the extra length to make stays of their customers, comfortable and luxurious; Granbelle fell short It is also astounding that the staff has no interest to take feedback or even ask about our stay at checkout for improving their services . we had an awesome trip in Sri Lanka, and we never found such experience in any of the other places or hotels.

I tried a “Mocha And Nougat Cake”. It was a beautiful simple design. It had a good chocolate flavor and a nice coffee flavor. Try it, It’s really good.

My family & I have stayed at this hotel on very many occasions over the past 40 years. We have always enjoyed our stays. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. This time, Shehan is looking after us and always greets us with a friendly smile, as do all staff. Gamini in Concierge is unfailingly helpful and always remembers us from previous visits. The food is good and plentiful although the waiters occasionally have a hard time finding enough tables at breakfast time. I recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Amazing hotel at an awesome location in Colombo. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and the view from the room will want you to stay back and enjoy it. Breakfast buffet spread was amazing, special mention to the hoppers with egg is yummy with chicken curry. The pool is huge and fun to lounge around. Special mention to the gym in the lower floor with its steam and sauna. If you are staying at this hotel do try this out. Lastly the patisserie in the lower floor has yummy collection of pastries and coffee which we tried. Did not try the ice cream but it looked yummy. Wish I stayed at this place for longer! I will be back

We have visited Royal Thai to celebrate our moms birthday and we had a nice time there. Overall the food and service is excellent. We had a prawn dish which is really flavourful. Should mention that sithumi is really nice and also the staff including medini, shan, kasun and lakshman is outstanding. Keep it up we’ll hope to come back again.

We have stayed a week in this Hotel and had a lovely time. The food is of outstanding Quality. The staff are very attentive. The rooms are spacious with full air conditioning, but you can't open a window. The one thing that I didn't like was the Night club downstairs. Loud music until passed 12pm and longer at the weekend. If you value your sleep then this hotel is not for you ! The Music is so loud invibrates The windows 6 floors up. This kinda ruined my stay here.

The stay was very peaceful and relaxing, with their very comfortable beds. Also the staff was very supportive and courteous, and had created a separate "Indian Counter" after we had pre-emptively mailed them to keep vegitarian dishes separate. Mr. Ajith, the Manager in charge of food has taken extra care for our food. Mr. Gayan Peiris from the management was kind enough to take our suggestions in positive manner and the overall experience was very pleasing to elders and kids.

We had an excellent stay at Shangri-La Colombo. The hotel is beautifully maintained, and every member of the staff was exceptionally warm and welcoming. We stayed for six nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The breakfast buffet offered an impressive variety of dishes, showcasing both local and international flavors. A special thanks to Chef Dishan for personally preparing traditional Sri Lankan favorites — Pittu, Kurakkan Rotti, and Fish Cutlets — upon our request, even though they weren’t part of the buffet. His hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We would definitely return and highly recommend Shangri-La Colombo to anyone looking to experience genuine Sri Lankan warmth and world-class service.

The staff handled our booking with great care and even took time to understand the reason for our visit. When we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth at the reception that it immediately set the tone for a beautiful evening. The dinner was a mix of Turkish and international cuisine, a true feast prepared by several foreign chefs. Each dish was bursting with flavor, and the variety was amazing. The entire team was so friendly and attentive, constantly checking in to make sure we were having a great time. Their hospitality made us feel completely at home. The Turkish delights were simply irresistible, and every corner of the buffet offered something new to enjoy. Just when I thought the night couldn’t get any better, the team surprised me with a candle-lit birthday cake and sang “Happy Birthday.” It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made the evening unforgettable. Excellent place to stay and fine. Rooms are large and very well-appointed with all necessities. Check-in does take time, but the staff is very helpful. Opt for the MAP package. Both Breakfast and Dinner had a lot choices of cuisines and the buffet was well planned and extensive. Food was excellent. The Hotel is attached to a reasonably sized Mall with a lot of International labels and domestic top retailers. The Mall has direct access from the Hotel. Right in front of the Hotel is a strip beach that you can walk around, though no swimming was allowed.

To be in the position where your children become unwell overseas is extremely stressful, we were fortunate however to experience a service at Shangri-la Colombo that went above and beyond my expectations of any accomodation. A particular mention to the chefs- particularly the head chef who prepared special meals to accomodate my 2 year old sons recovery, the restaurant staff, the hotel staff who daily asked of my childrens wellbeing & empathising being parents themselves. The volume of housekeeping we required was WELL above our quota but not once was there a single comment. A particular mention of the restaurant manager (Maki); who on one occasion upon seeing my level of distress experiencing this kind of event while being away from home responded- "while you are away from home, separated from your own family- you become a part of ours here", numerous occasions during our stay you offered if we required "absolutely any assistance" possible to simply contact you, this individual is an absolute asset to Shangri-la chain, i can't emphasize that enough, he was incredibly helpful. I realise there is a certain level of expectation when staying at higher end accomodation, this experience excelled above and beyond. I would without hesitation recommend any family stay here, it's especially when the unexpected occurs travelling this kind of support exceeds any monetary considerations. I'm now a member of the Shangri-la chain and when an option will always choose this as my accomodation option over any others. To additionally mention the convenience and reassurance that the hotel has a doctor available was excellent, Dr C was thorough, considerate and caring while taking care of both my children. He maintained constant availability during their illness- i can't emphasize enough the reassurance that provides a Mother when their children fall ill overseas. The only downside was i couldn't bring this level of service back to New Zealand with me! To add for parents travelling all the water in the hotel is run through filters so completely safe and the security is exceptional. Thank you Shangri-la Colombo!!! ❤️🇱🇰

The hotel itself is already stunning, with a luxurious feel and a brilliant view over the city (as seen in the night photo), and the food was at the same exceptionally high level. ​The Buffet: A Culinary World Tour The quality of the food was excellent, and the variety was overwhelming. We were lucky enough to be there during a special Turkish buffet. This was no half-hearted attempt: the hotel had specially flown in chefs from Turkey to guarantee authentic flavors. This was evident in everything, from the perfectly grilled 'Izgara Köfte' (grilled meatballs) and 'Mantar Sote' (sautéed mushrooms) to the delicious 'Pide' (Turkish flatbread) and a truly gorgeous dessert buffet filled with Turkish delights and sweets. ​Beyond the Turkish specialties, there was also a fantastic selection of Sri Lankan and Indian dishes. The photos show the enormous choice: ​An extensive cold section with fresh seafood on ice (crab, shrimp, clams). ​Various live cooking and grill stations. ​Numerous hot dishes in beautiful copper pans. ​A major plus was that the restaurant clearly takes international guests into account; the dishes were rich in flavor but not overly spicy for tourists unaccustomed to a lot of chili. ​Service and Atmosphere The service was also wonderful. The staff was extremely professional, attentive, and friendly, which made the entire experience complete. ​Conclusion This buffet is an absolute must-try. The combination of the beautiful hotel, the great service, and the fantastic, varied food makes this a top destination for a luxury dinner in Colombo.

Attended my son's wedding at Shangri-La. The view from the room was beautiful. Old 2V CLI and Military Hospital Buildings gave the former Lower Lake road (Baladaksha Mawatha) memories. Lower Lake Road had been shifted near to the Beira Lake. Old 2V CLI, Or's Mess, Quarters and WO's and Sgt's mess had been demolished for the road. There were three functions at the assigned location of the wedding but the noise and crowd were well controlled. One typo error was noticed. Food was excellent and the staff were well versed with the wedding crowd. Tables were well prepared and frequently supervised. Washrooms were clean and frequently attended by the staff, even noticed a senior manager visiting and observing the condition of wash washrooms. When there was an issue with a washbasin in the room complaint was smoothly handled, and the maintenance person attended to it very quickly. Air quality was well maintained. Staff were courteous and well-trained. They showed what a Star Class means by their actions.

During our recent stay at the Taj Samudra Colombo from 11 to 15 October 2025, my family and I were accommodated in a Taj Club Suite. While our initial impression was one of disappointment — the suite felt dated compared to our previous experiences at other Taj properties, and certain practices did not meet our expectations — what truly stood out was the way in which the Taj team responded. The hallmark of Indian hospitality, particularly within the Taj Group, is their unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction, and this visit reaffirmed that reputation. Upon raising our concerns, the staff acted with remarkable speed, empathy, and professionalism to address them. We were immediately offered an exquisite room upgrade, a gesture we greatly appreciated, though we chose to remain in our suite due to the practicalities of moving with two young children. Determined to ensure we enjoyed the pinnacle of Taj hospitality, the team took several thoughtful steps. They offered assistance with our in-room consumables, and — understanding our children’s early sleeping schedule — they arranged for the hotel’s Chinese restaurant to open earlier than usual exclusively for us. The proactive engagement from the leadership team was exemplary: Front Office Manager Chaminda Dehiwatte maintained regular contact throughout our stay; Hotel Manager Karan Maini assured us that every effort would be made to enhance our experience; and Area Director Samrat Datta personally met with us, listened attentively to our feedback, and ensured the remainder of our visit was comfortable and memorable. Even at departure, their hospitality shone through, as they arranged a private car to take us to the airport, guaranteeing a smooth and safe journey. What began as a stay with a few disappointments evolved into a reaffirmation of the Taj Group’s ethos — that guests’ needs are paramount and every effort will be made to exceed expectations. We had a mixed experience during our stay. The ocean-view room was lovely, check-in was smooth, and room service was excellent. However, the in-dining breakfast experience was disappointing. The buffet options were boring and some items, like the sausages, were almost inedible. While they did offer live counters for dosa, omelets, and waffles, most of the time the staff forgot to bring the items to our table even after taking our order and table number. Over our 5-day stay, this happened repeatedly, leaving us waiting and often losing our appetite.: Traveling with our 2.5-year-old was also a challenge, as the hotel had nothing to offer for children—no play area, no activities, not even simple things like coloring materials. Compared to other 5-star properties that make families feel welcome, this was quite disappointing. Additionally, the hotel seems designed primarily for businessmen. For example, there was no power outlet near the mirror for hair styling—only a socket clearly mentioned for men’s trimmers. If the hotel is truly intended just for business men , they should not accept family bookings at all, It felt like the needs of women and families were overlooked. Overall, good experience. But a little more attention to details would have been even more better.

We stayed at Taj Samudra twice within a week on two separate occasions, and both experiences were wonderful. The service was exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The hotel, though an older property with incredible charm and a beautiful sense of history, is beginning to show signs of age and could benefit from some attention to detail and upkeep. That said, its grand spaces, lush gardens, and serene walking areas make it truly special. Dinner at Golden Dragon was excellent — the Chinese food was authentic and full of flavour. The swimming pool and health club are also great, adding to the overall experience. Despite a few signs of wear, the hospitality and warmth of the staff make Taj Samudra a memorable and delightful place to stay in Colombo. I will be back for sure.

We had the most amazing time here. Staff is friendly and super welcoming, we spent loooots of time talking with everyone as they all gave us recommendations on what to do and where to go. Chaminda at breakfast showed us the best app to check trains in Sri Lanka. Our room was facing the ocean which was amazing, especially at sunset. We had the club lounge access and Amar was kind enough to make special drinks for us. The room is spacious and comfortable, massive bathroom with a bathtub and shower. We tried all the restaurants on sites and wooow, all delicious, Japanese was our favourite tho. Thank you so much for having us, we’ll be back for sure 🥰

Very comfortable and pleasant stay I got my room upgraded to Taj Club, and it was very comfortable and spacious to stay with kids. Comfortable room and very pleasant stay. Food is really good and freshly made. Very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. Check in and check out was very smooth. Down side: It was an open parking under the huge trees 🌳. So my car was filled with lots of fall over leaves and bird feces. I stayed 3 nights and I had to clean my car myself every day morning before taking it out.

We visited Marion Beach Hotel on 15 September 2025 for their dinner buffet to celebrate my birthday. The buffet was priced at Rs. 5,700 per person, which felt fair compared to high-end buffets in Colombo. The atmosphere was relaxed with no strict dress code, so guests could dine comfortably even in casual wear. The welcome was warm, and we were escorted to our table by a friendly hostess. Seating indoors turned out to be a good choice as the outdoor area got disrupted by rain. The buffet spread was good, starting with a light vegetable soup that I believe was pumpkin and ginger. The starters were nicely presented, but not all were labelled, which can be risky for people with allergies. Clear and consistent labelling would be a big improvement. The main courses were tasty, and staff were polite, though they seemed short-staffed as we had to ask for water refills. The one real disappointment was that my wife had arranged a birthday cake in advance, even agreeing to pay extra, but it was never served or mentioned. For a special occasion, a simple gesture like this can go a long way in creating lasting goodwill. Overall, Marion Beach Hotel offers a reasonably priced buffet with good food and friendly service. We left satisfied, but with the hope that the hotel pays attention to small details that can turn a good dining experience into an unforgettable one.

The rooms are spacious, modern, and very clean, with comfortable beds and all the necessary amenities. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. The rooftop pool and restaurant are major highlights — perfect for relaxing while enjoying the sunset and delicious food. The breakfast buffet has a good variety and is well-prepared. It's an ideal place for couples, families, or even solo travelers. The location is peaceful, yet close enough to reach the main city attractions. I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Merino Beach Hotel for a relaxing coastal getaway.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly, making us feel truly welcome. This was our last stop in Sri Lanka, and it turned out to be the best place we stayed. Stayed over with family. Perfect venue for a nice relaxed stay with wonderful rooms, breakfast buffet and the pool. We met school friends for a 25 year reunion and the dinner buffet was the perfect place for it. The hospitality of staff from the moment we stepped into the building until we left is highly commendable.

I have been a Diamond member for a while and have travelled for business and leisure to various Hilton properties abroad. When considering where to stay while on vacation for a month here in Sri Lanka, I wanted to begin our journey right, so decided to book at the Colombo Residences location(as similar to Homewood Suites, they have condo suite style layouts). I couldn't have been more right(and happy) about expecting an awesome experience since Hilton locations have always had a special home away from home comfort while travelling. And this location exceeded all expectations by an immeasurable amount. From the moment I checked in, the evening front desk staff were so kind and warm with their hospitality. As I had Diamond status, I received a very quick and efficient complimentary upgrade to an executive suite on a high floor with possibly the most amazing view of the Lotus Tower. The accommodations were incredibly spacious, modern and comfortable. We also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner over the course of our stay, as the consistency of the exemplary service continued there as well. Extraordinarily kind and knowledgeable staff combined with a diverse variety of quality(sincere compliments to the various Chefs and attendants) food choices across various times of the day, led to a delicious experience. The overall stay reinforced a sense of comfort and safety as well, because the location is extremely secure. It cannot be stated enough how amazing the entire host of various staff members at this location are. Their kindness, friendliness, hospitality and efficiency were incredible to witness. We have already booked and are definitely looking forward to our next multiple day stays at the Hilton Colombo Residences. If you are visiting or traveling through the city, this location is highly recommended, as it checks off all the highest standards of a luxurious Hilton stay, as our stay was beyond perfect.

Overall 5 stars for our stay. The food (breakfast buffet and dinner buffet superb with lots of options and super friendly staff). Check in very smooth (we arrived at 4am so booked the night before). 30m long pool with many lanes and kiddy pools with playground lots of fun for the kids. Also a steam room, Finnish sauna, and jacuzzi inside the gym area. We had a 3 bedroom apartment which had a king bed, a queen bed, and 2 twins. The living room had a regular non fold out sofa. Also 2 full baths, a big kitchen and washer/dryer. The rooms are getting slightly dated but nothing to complain about - everything was clean and the entire stay was good. Thanks 🙏

Had a wonderful stay at Hilton Colombo Residences! The rooms are very spacious and well-designed, giving more of a serviced apartment feel — perfect for staying with friends and enjoying time together in the same space. We stay 3 weeks family very nice and good clean room and the lifts could be better. First staff wasn't very good we mentioned. After was good .but could be better of the price. Location were very good .some staff very friendly. Other are not .Reception need bit smile and friendly. No welcome drink advice though out.but we love the place. Food is lovely. But after get bit bored.

I had the pleasure of visiting Movenpick for a lunch buffet, and it was a delightful experience overall. While the buffet didn’t offer a wide variety, the food was tasty and well-prepared. What truly stood out was the ambiance—the top view from the hotel was breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama of the sea and Colombo city. The infinity pool was another highlight, providing an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Movenpick definitely creates an atmosphere of luxury and comfort. I’d recommend it for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy good food with a spectacular view.

Great! Amazing rooms, amazing view and a very cool swimming pool at the rooftop. Wauw! The breakfast in the morning was good, although we are not used to this very much in Europe. We would definitely go here again!

Nice location. Buffet isn’t a big spread but it’s alright for a quick breakfast. Rooms are normal spaced too. Clean and tidy. Kinda small pool. It’s great for anyone who’s coming for business, or in a rush. The location is what makes it really accessible.

Satisfied. Clean and tidy rooms. I stayed in a luxury double room on a half board basis. Room is bit smaller (less spacious), but as i booked a single room, it was okay. Service of the staff is really good and I was really suprised about the speed of them, once I do any request. They reacted and fulfilled my requests very quickly. Pool was also very clean and has a nice view of city area and the ocean. It was located in the roof top. For the breakfast, It was like a Sri Lankan buffet, with delicious foods. I was really satisfied with their food also. Resturant also located in the roof top.

On the other hand, the minor staff were polite and attentive, doing their best to make guests feel comfortable. One major downside was the restaurant area itself – it was fully compact and felt overcrowded, making it hard to relax and enjoy the setting. The cramped space really took away from what should have been a calm and enjoyable high tea experience. In summary, the food was excellent, but the hospitality and environment need improvement

I see that most of the reviews of this hotel are for the buffet and high tea and not actually for the accommodation in itself. ​My recent stay at Mandarina Colombo was exceptionally disappointing and fell far short of any reasonable expectation for a 5-star property. This hotel is, at best, a modest 3-star establishment. Service was Terribly Slow and Inefficient. ​I ordered simple grab-and-go items from the display window. It took the staff member a shocking 30 minutes just to pick up the items and place them in a box.When I asked for the food to be heated, I was told it was "slightly heated" already, which was not the case.The final process of sorting out the bill then took another agonizing 15 minutes. This kind of delay for a simple transaction is baffling. Room is okay: very basic, it was fine. The lights in my bathroom were not functioning correctly. Water was leaking Gym: Half of the equipment in the gym was out of order, making a proper workout impossible. Compounding this, the lifeguards sits inside the gym and visibly watch patrons work out, which was intrusive and highly uncomfortable

​This is a good hotel where we hosted our international and local three-day trainings. The staff service and kindness were exceptional. The rooms were neat and compact. We especially appreciated the restaurant crew's kindness and excellent service, and the food was quite good.

I had a very pleasant stay. The receptionist’s warm smile and welcoming attitude made a wonderful first impression. Hassan and the rest of the team were extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous throughout my visit. From check-in to check-out, the service was smooth and professional. Wow everything was spot on! The rooms were spacious, really nice, and impeccably clean. The infinity pool on the rooftop was fantastic, offering a great view. The staff were also really friendly and attentive. Overall, an excellent stay that was completely worth the price.

We didn't stay but went for a family time in the pool and for lunch. The pool was clean and nicely maintained. There was a baby pool and was really helpful for a family. The location was in the city, but ut was really good environment, covered well, feels so homely and privacy maintained well. My kids enjoyed well the time spend there. Lot of hotels not allow visitors to use a pool but this hotel provide it to a very reasonable price. And the food outlet in the hotel had variety of items, from home-made delicious Xmas cookies to a nice rice meal for lunch. There were quite a good range of white rice, red rice and yellow rice. We all enjoyed it well. We were thrilled to see the great range of platter available at the hotel. But our tummies were full and couldn't try it but hope to try it in near future. The owners were really nice and helpful that made the place feeling like a home. I would love to visit again and hopefully try to stay when needed in picture.

Do not go to this hotel if you want a peaceful stay. The receptionists literally don't care about you and you will feel as if you are not welcomed there from the moment you enter. Also, a renovation happened at 9 AM and started drilling from upstairs!

I knew the hotel was old, but the moment you walked in, you'll know the hotel is poorly maintained and lacks any sort of standard to upkeep. The stench of stale air, Dirty carpets on the floor inside the room (I mean, really really dirty), clogging sink, Moss infested water closet, poorly running air-conditioning are some things I hated. The only positives were the location and the pastries. Got to give it to the pastry chef, too good!!!

Service at the reception, at the breakfast place was really great. Staff were nice, helpful and super polite. There are different swimming pool so families or couple can enjoy their stay quietly. The room is nicely decorated and organised, the cleaning service was impeccable. The surrounding was pretty noisy but this is certainly true for any hotels in Colombo as the city is super active day and night. I would advice traveller to get some ear plug and then everything will be alright!

Disappointed with the Service – Needs Serious Staff Training This was my first visit to Court Hotel. While the location and ambiance are great, the overall experience was ruined by the service. From the moment I stepped in, the staff kept approaching me repeatedly, asking for my order even after I politely explained that I was waiting for my friend to arrive so we could order together. Their constant hovering made it impossible to settle in and enjoy the environment. Eventually, just to avoid the uncomfortable pressure, I ordered something small. But even after that, they kept returning to ask if I was ordering more or if they could bring the bill as if they wanted me to leave. Once my friend arrived, I informed them we’d be staying longer and ordering more. Still, the attitude didn’t change. Frustrated, we paid and moved to the rooftop area, hoping for a better experience, but the same behavior continued. Staff constantly circled us, pressuring us to order immediately. On top of that, when I finally did place another order, they got it wrong and didn’t even acknowledge the mistake. I left feeling disappointed and unwelcome. A gentle reminder to management: guests come to relax and enjoy their time not to be rushed or made to feel uncomfortable. Please consider training your staff to be more respectful and mindful of guests’ space and comfort. I won’t be returning.

This was previously known as Colombo Courtyard. The location is convenient. Parking can be an issue depending on your time of visit. (Limited parking) It's a convenient location and many activities and or locations with activities are all situated within walking distance. Decent roof top bar.. menu's a re decent. Rooms are well equipped a d facilitated. Staff is friendly and speaks well. Overall 7/10

Terrible Experience – Wouldn’t Recommend I rarely leave reviews, but my stay at this hotel was so disappointing that I feel I need to warn others. From the moment I arrived, things went downhill. The check-in process was slow and disorganized, and the staff seemed uninterested in helping. When I got to my room, it was nothing like the photos online. The carpet was stained, the sheets didn’t look clean, and there was a strong musty smell. The bathroom was even worse — mold in the shower and a broken faucet that dripped all night. I tried contacting the front desk several times, but no one seemed to care. The “manager” promised to send housekeeping, but no one ever showed up. To make matters worse, the walls were paper thin, so I barely slept due to noise from other guests and the hallway. For the price I paid, I expected at least basic cleanliness and service. Unfortunately, this hotel failed on both counts. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else. Worst experience. Zero hospitality. They only care about their property not guest. It is neither kids friendly nor kids safe. Recently we were there with our two years old kid and they have this light weighted, delicate, poor light pole over reception area. my kid’s leg got stuck in it's ground wire and he fell down with pole over him, instead of asking about him being hurt they calculated damage (light was intact and working, it's just one of the poorly welded iron string which was detached from joint) and they asked us to pay for it. As we were late for flight we argued first then we paid and left. Now I want to ask owner what is your hotel's policy if some kid got hurt due to your poorly maintained property. This is how you treat your foreign guests! In room also many things were poorly fixed and dirty. It was last day of our srilanka trip and this hotel has ruined our whole experience.

I had the best Mocha at Java Lounge today. The shot was perfectly pulled—rich and nutty—with silky micro foam and beautiful latte art. The staff were warm and quick, and the space has a great vibe: clean, comfy seating, natural light, and chill music (easy to study or catch up with friends). Good selection of pastries and non-coffee options, plus fair prices and reliable Wi-Fi. Absolutely recommend—new go-to spot for coffee lovers.

We had a really good experience at Java Lounge yesterday (Almost today). It was quite late when we needed a cake urgently, and we were so glad to find out Java Lounge is open until midnight. From the moment we called, this person named Lahiru, was very helpful and polite, making the whole process smooth and really easy for us. Even though we were little late to make it to the shop, he stayed there till we arrive and still handled everything with a friendly and professional attitude. From the moment we arrived, Menura at the reception welcomed us warmly and made the check-in process quick and smooth. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. They always greeted me with a smile and made sure I had everything I needed. The service was quick and professional, and they really made me feel welcome. The food at the hotel was also amazing. Every meal was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. I especially loved the breakfast buffet with so many options to choose from. They had a fresh hoppers station unlike any of the other hotels I went to in Sri Lanka. The Lobby was also very aesthetic creating a great vibe as you enter. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Only a short one night stay. Arrived late at airport, didn’t find anything we like in Negumbo (close to airport), so chose Colombo instead. The hotel is modern, clean and staff and very friendly and warm. Location is excellent, with a view of the train and Indian Ocean waves below. Fantastic large open windows, for morning views. For the price, fantastic hotel be would recommend. The breakfast was included in price and was great, with lots of made to order options!

We stayed on the 7th floor which is a suite with 2 bedrooms. Rooms were very clean and all facilities were available inside the room. The sea view from this room was amazing. The staff were very kind and helpful. Will give 100 % to the Hotel. You can book without any second thoughts.. You will enjoy the view if you get the right room...

This is a very nice and clean hotel, which is centrally located in Colombo. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful and the service was excellent. Another good feature of note was that breakfast was included in the price. The only reason I give this hotel 4 stars is because the food was quite average - not the most flavourful that I have had, and I would say somewhat below my expectations for a 4-star rated hotel. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this place for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

⭐ 1/5 — Very Disappointing Experience at Maradha Hotel, Marine Drive, Colombo 03 We recently hosted our daughter’s birthday celebration at the restaurant reception of Maradha Hotel, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing despite the beautiful ambiance. The buffet (Rs. 6,450 net per person) was far from satisfactory. The service was completely unprofessional from the start. A day before the event, the sales captain called to argue about the buffet timing instead of offering support — a very unpleasant experience for any customer hosting a function. On the event day, the food was mostly cold and not fresh. Only the chicken was served hot. The Hot Butter Mushroom was a total mess, and while the chocolate pudding was good, the fresh fruit cuts were clearly not fresh. The Staff (not everyone) was not supportive. We had ordered 1kg of chicken bites, but the portion served was nowhere near that amount. The welcome drink glasses were barely half-filled, and not everyone even received one. Some dishes were not refilled properly during the buffet, leaving guests with limited choices. Overall, the food quality was poor, service was bad, and staff attitude was unacceptable. They seemed more concerned about collecting payment than ensuring guest satisfaction. The venue itself is nice, but sadly, the service and food quality completely ruined the experience. I would strongly advise against hosting any party or dining here, as it’s not worth the money or the frustration.

I am absolutely thrilled with the cake varieties offered here. Each one is incredibly delicious, making it hard to choose a favorite. The presentation is also top-notch, with beautiful decorations that make the cakes as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate. Tried some cheesecake and mudcake during the recent visit. Hands down, it's one of the very best of cheesecakes I've ever had. It was succulent and felt unbelievably rich. The taste was superb. Wasn't too sweet either. Didn't get a chance to taste anything else because we were already full after a lunch. Will definitely visit again

I went to the English Cake Company outlet in One Galle Face Mall food court to try some of there cheese cake. The day we went there was a 50% offer for Burnt Cheese cake pieces. The cake was absolutely delicous. Once you try one piece you will definitely want another one. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. Overall I think this is a wonderful place to try some authentic and mouth watering cakes

The staff lady on the counter is very rude, Bad customer service here, where I ordered a cheese cake and they offered me a chocolate cake piece and I said I want the cheesecake but they reluctant to refund the bill for a cheesecake piece, where they told me & force me to eat what they have missly billed. I recently ordered the chicken fried rice from Majestic Hotel through Pick Me Food, and I was extremely disappointed. The rice was bland and lacked any real flavor or seasoning. The chicken pieces were dry and rubbery, with barely any seasoning to speak of. The vegetables were overcooked and mushy, and the overall dish felt like it had been sitting out for a while. For the price, I expected much better quality. It was a waste of money, and I won't be ordering from them again. Would not recommend this dish to anyone!
