The food is excellent.. the savouries, sandwiches, and submarine, they have different varieties.. the best one is the tandoori chicken wrap.. it is yummy.. and should try the rice / noodles teriyaki chicken/ bbq chicken. It is worth the price... they have different type of bread varieties.. over all value for money..

I went to paan paan many times in December 2024 because I was staying in apartments in Altair and Capitol Twin Peaks which are located within a 2 minute walk to this location. They have really good short eats and also breakfast food. The staff are very friendly and all seem happy to be working there. My family and I liked this place and will continue to be customers going forward. We did not dine in the restaurant but they gave tables and seating for those that want to eat there.

Food is high quality but a bit disappointed about the service. I ordered salad (100g) and a lentil soup (with garlic bread). It took around 20 minutes for the salad to arrive and took around 30 minutes for the lentil soup to arrive (after the salad was served). I understand if the delay is due to a busy time of the day (this was Saturday afternoon) but there were very few customers waiting or already served. The staff member at the cash register was friendly and efficient but most of the other staff members were not following any efficient methods to provide quick service.

Sandwiches were fresh and tasty. Lattes and samosas were good as well. Prices were reasonable and the service was friendly. Ordered for delivery and food arrived fast and was just as good as eating at the restaurant.

Lot of mosquitoes, less AC, cold Tea, and took 1.30hrs for food to come 😔 Interior design of the cafe looks nice. But they’re definitely not good at their service. Some UNP minister came after us- so they served those people first. We came for iftar- got our food at 8.30pm. Disappointed.

Charming bakery with fresh bread, delightful pastries, and delicious sandwiches and wraps. The coffee is good, and the cozy ambiance makes it a perfect spot to relax. Highly recommend for a satisfying meal or a quick break! They also offer an array of fresh bread and wraps to take home.

Amazing location and atmosphere at this outlet! Friendly staff and very welcoming. The cake selections were really good from various varieties and flavours. The Trés Leches cake was really good. Very well balanced and light. The Biscoff cake was also amazing but a bit on the sweeter side. For the price, the portion sizes were good. Would highly recommend this place for casual hangouts or even dates. Definitely would revisit.

Butter Boutique – Sweet Heaven in Colombo! Butter Boutique never disappoints! I tried the banana matcha and honestly, it deserves 1000/10 – absolutely mind-blowing. So unique, perfectly balanced, and just melts in your mouth. The tres leches was also amazing – super soft, creamy, and full of flavor. Definitely a 10/10 dessert. And let’s not forget – they serve some of the best coffee in town. Smooth, rich, and just the right strength. If you’ve got a sweet tooth or just want a solid coffee fix, Butter Boutique is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Overall a good experience at the shop. The cakes were amazing. We got the Oreo cake and the pistachio cheese cake both were not too Rich but it was very delicious ❤️❤️. Drinks I dont remember the names in the image the drink with the red straw was delicious it had some fudge name on it 😅..the other with he normally white straw was very very bad it had a artificial flavor to it. That drink had some frostini name. Will go for the cakes again. The atmosphere was great. Loved the deco and the colors.

Butter Boutique is a true treat for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their cakes are absolutely delicious, though slightly on the pricier side—but completely worth it! I especially love the Tres Leches, the Arabian Knight, and the Double Chocolate Fudge Cake. Every bite is rich, indulgent, and perfectly crafted. A must-visit for cake lovers!

Love everything about BB. Their staff are very kid and helpful. They are always smiling and that’s a big win for BB. Their food is really yummy though Iam not a fan of sugary stuff. I tried their matcha rose syrup drink today and I was mesmerized. And not to forget their coffee; they are the best. One of the 2 coffee shops I know that mixes the perfect milk to coffee ratio. The location is very convenient and the restaurant is very spacious. You can choose from a wide range of snacks, mains, desserts, and beverages. However I was not satisfied with the food and I feel it’s not worth the price. The staff is helpful, but the atmosphere is neither cozy nor warm.

Delicious savories and coffee and the service is top notch! The interior of the shop is spacious, well maintained and has a lovely atmosphere. Although prices of the items are at the higher end, whenever you go there, the place is buzzing with customers, which speaks volumes of the quality of their products and service.

I visited Sponge recently as it was close to where I was staying. I’ve been here a few times over the years, but never got around to writing a review—until now. While the place has a reputation and a long-standing presence, I found it a bit expensive for what it offers. I had a chicken pastry, egg cutlet, fish bun, eclair, and a cup of tea. The fish bun was the standout—fresh and delicious. The egg cutlet was okay, nothing special. Unfortunately, the chicken pastry lacked flavor, and the eclair was dry and underwhelming. Overall, it’s convenient and has some nostalgic value, but the quality doesn’t quite justify the price.

This place has been always go to options for many corporate orders for me. Their service and food is always top notch. You get all the varieties of items from savoury to sweet. Their cakes are also very tasty and I would love to order those again and again and what I posted here is a recent buy for a birthday. Prices are bit high but its always a good place to have your favourites.

A Pricey Pastry Predicament at Sponge Colombo, Sri Lanka. Popped into Sponge Pastry Shop in Colombo Sri Lanka recently, lured by tales of delectable treats. While the pastries did tickle the taste buds, the prices felt more like a punch to the wallet. One might expect such premium pricing to come with top-notch service, but alas, the staff's demeanor was more cold shoulder than warm welcome. The ambiance lacked the inviting charm one hopes for when indulging in a sweet treat. Instead of a cozy nook to savour a pastry, it felt more like a quick transaction station. For those who value both quality and a pleasant experience, this might not be the ideal spot. In summary, while the confections are average, the overall experience leaves much to be desired. Perhaps consider other establishments where your money buys both taste and a smile. Disappointing experience for a long standing establishment.

ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE – Unprofessional and Poorly Managed! I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience with Sponge Pastry Shop was beyond unacceptable. From the very beginning, the customer service was a complete disaster. They never answered their phone when we urgently needed assistance for a quick pickup and delivery due to an unforeseen situation. We tried calling several times and waited for over 20 minutes, only to be ignored with excuses after excuses. This is not how any service-based business should operate, especially when customers are relying on timely communication. To make matters worse, they kept asking for balance payments despite the fact that full payment had already been made and the receipts were shared. Their staff and management seem completely disorganized and obsolete in how they handle orders and clients. There’s clearly no accountability within their team. Now let’s talk about the actual product — the customized 3kg fondant cake I ordered for my son’s birthday. Honestly, it was the worst cake we’ve ever had. The fondant was like chewing gum, impossible to cut even with proper cake knives, and it completely separated from the ribbon cake underneath, which also crumbled apart. The cake was a structural failure, and we were embarrassed in front of all the children and teachers at the party. It ruined a special moment for our child. When we attempted to contact them to lodge a complaint, they conveniently vanished — no management, no response, and no willingness to take responsibility. Their behaviour was nothing short of pathetic and unprofessional. Clearly, they don’t have any process in place to handle customer concerns. This shop has no business taking customized cake orders, especially when they can’t even deliver on basic quality or communication. I will never recommend them to anyone — not for cakes, not for any service. A true disgrace to their own brand.

Visited this place several times, mostly for breakfast. It's a nice cosy place with tasty breakfast, brunch, and lunch options, and German/German-inspired bakery items. The food is more or less good. Just a tad bit expensive, but given how a lot of places overcharge, you can leave the place satisfied after a meal. The coffee's not bad as well, with a good size. The staff are very courteous but tend to make mistakes with the order at times, so it's good to double check. They tend to get a little crowded since it's small, but tables were always available when we were there. They've got a kiddies' play area (bigger than the restaurant section)

Excellent place to have a coffee and some food. Specially appreciate how accommodating they are to children and all the toys they have available. We went a couple of days ago and the gentlemen working in that section was very helpful and friendly to my daughter.

We visited here for breakfast but it was an average place. Food was ok nothing too great or perhaps we ordered the wrong thing. The omlette was the best out of what we ordered. Coffee was ok. The place is kid friendly and there's a little play area as well.

We tried the Le Baguette Club and Le Creamy Chicken Sandwich, and both were super tasty! They came with a green salad and garlic toast which was a nice touch. The iced chocolate and mocha were really good too. The staff were super friendly, and I loved the cozy vibe of the place, even though the dine-in area is a bit small. Definitely coming back again!

Lovely little cafe/bakery! Limited seats but a great place for lunch or brunch, the food is good quality, well made, and good portions. Also they have bread and pastries and jams and cheese and things to buy and take as well. I was missing European crusty bread, and this was perfect!

They have the best French pastries in Colombo. The staff is always supportive and very kind to all the customers local and foreigners. I love the place but quite busy sometime. I like Madeline the most. You can enjoy them on Saturday morning and recently I was told they take orders as well if you need more Madeline and pastries.

Exactly a very cozy spot and they have a good collection of bread and cakery. It’s a cafe and they provide brunch and sweets. Looks a little space but its really vibe spot. They have their own ice cream 🍦varieties and you should try them. Highly recommended

their coffee is so good! their food is quite nice as well, but what I love most is the range of products they have available to purchase like labneh, artisan pesto, sun dried tomatoes, pâté and kombucha. lovely place.

Update: They are charging extra, claiming it’s for “VAT,” but it doesn’t appear on the bill. For example, a popsicle priced at 250 LKR was charged at 300 LKR. Feels suspicious 🙄🤔 A great place to get nice & quality foods. Sweet items, bakery items and short eats are available. Foods are fresh and delicious. Fair prices for the quality foods. The place is neat and clean. Few tables are there for dine-in. Small vehicle parking is available in front of the shop.

Wow 🤩 is the first word coming into my mind before writing this review, 😋 You must have eaten these tasty roast pan by getting it delivered to you. But believe me, you must visit its outlet and have a freshly toasted roast pan with various fillings. For sure I will visit this place at least once a week. 🫢

I have only tried deliveries via ubereats, so i cant really comment on the service and atmosphere. But all the food i have tried were always better than expected..my favourite is chili chicken with tamarind jam .

Good place!! Bit pricey since the portion size is small!! Calm and quiet place!! Cute interior i must say!! The girl there was very friendly and efficient!! But she forgot to bring the palette cleanser!! Other than that everything else is a plus!!! They know what they do!! It’s definitely a nice getaway from ur ordinary roast paan experience!! And hell yeah it’s instagram worthy!!!

Ordered today via Uber Eats. Ordered here for the first time. Worst roast paan of my life. Margarine based and sweet. Not crispy. As a bonus, a piece of coconut shell to break your teeth. And this nasty thing in the amount of one piece costs 1000 rupees. Threw it in the trash. For this money in other stores you can order crispy and tasty bread and at least twice as much. .

The place is very small and not so much spacious. The staff are friendly but the food is not at it's best. They do not have a variety of food and they only have Milo and ice coffee for beverages and when I visited they were out of milk so they didn't have that either. The place is not much crowded and the area is calm and quiet. But two starts because a restaurant needs food and they don't really have that. To chill and hang out maybe play some chess definetely a nice place.

We had the Pol Sambol Cheese and Seeni Sambol with Egg roast paan. Well the taste was good nothing to complain about it but what was not up to the mark was the size of the roast paan. I expected atleast double of the what I got for the price I paid but it wasn't. Moving on we had the Tinkiri Tea and Tinkiri ice coffee which was really good . They give you sugar seperately to add but I'd suggest you not to add it coz it makes it too sweet . I knew this and didn't add sugar which was why it tasted soo good .

I used to came at this outlet before pandemic. I thought it was closed down already but I just saw today in pick me that it is already available. Just ordered simply red velvet cake. I had a note if they can write a simple happy birthday and a candle if available. But sadly, maybe it’s not available. Cake looks okay, not yet tasted. Hopefully it’s same as it was before. It was delivered in good condition. (This is post review after we taste the cake, the base of the cake is soft, cream cheese was empowered by the food color..there’s after taste of “bitterness”. 7/10 for this red velvet)

I loved this place a lot. Used to go there when we went to vision care. In the past, their taste of food fascinated me since it was quite new to me. There was a huge selection of bakery products and I liked all about it. But recently I visited bread talk at union place and I just felt like prices are not worth now. Coffees are also slightly expensive than other coffee shops in Colombo. The taste of the food was too sweet for me. But I still like it. I will visit again.

I saw a video showing BreadTalk’s chicken floss bun with a cheese pull it looked loaded and melty, so I went straight to get it. It was around LKR 680, which I thought was fair if it actually had cheese in it. But when I bought it and cut it open. it was just dry bread with a tiny bit of mayo inside. No cheese, no pull, nothing like the video showed. It tasted mostly like plain bread with a faint mayo flavor. Disappointing. The chicken floss on top was the only thing that tasted good, but still if you’re going to advertise cheese, at least put enough in there to taste it! Honestly felt a bit misled. Not worth it unless you're only buying it for the topping.

Nice and spacious with warm and welcoming faces. Ambience is really good. Most of the stuff are on self service, but the staff will help you otherwise. They have some merchandise for sale as well, like coffee mugs, cups etc... There is space for dining. The sandwiches and sausage buns are pretty good. Fresh fruit juices are good as well.

We had brunch at FAB and really enjoyed our time there! It’s a lovely place with a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and freshly prepared, and the service was excellent. I tried The Fab after more than 26 years. I’ve fond memories of buying cakes, having short eats and iced coffee growing up in Colombo. Things are the same and different at The Fab after the years. For one, it offers a cafe menu as well as the previous fare. The convoluted ordering, payment and collection system is the same! The food is still good as well as the coffee.

One of the finest fab. Very nicely done interior. Bit expensive compared to other normal place but worth it. Good place for meetings small party gatherings. Service is ok. But the place and the vibe is superb. Parking available.

Came in with hope, left completely let down. Ordered a Strawberry Cheesecake and a Blueberry Cheesecake. They were placed side by side with a price tag of Rs. 830 in front. No separate label for the blueberry one, and only later I found out it was Rs. 1,150. That’s a Rs. 320 surprise. Taste-wise? Even worse. The jelly layer felt like rubber, the icing and chocolate tasted cheap and overly sugary. They should rename it as Curd-cake instead. Honestly, it didn’t even qualify as real cheesecake. This felt like a waste of time and money. Starting to question if this place is even serious about quality - or just focused on extracting cash. Do yourself a favor - skip this place. You’ve been warned.

Absolutely love the delicious popsicles and gelato by Cremalato. Our favourite flavours are : Hazelnut, brownied , Narang and passion . Do try out Tamarind ! Per scoop goes at 700/- Double scoops goes at 1100/- They have tubs as well . Gelato flavours are served in waffle cups / cones . Very friendly staff and comfy vibe in the cafe .

Stumbled upon this hidden gem on a hot day in Colombo. Delicious flavourful popsicles - we had the coconut and the pineapple chilli! A must try if you are craving something sweet.

Omgggg the gelato is to die for. I got two tubs of 500 ml. One from passion fruit sorbet and one milk gelato with brownies and almonds mixed called brownied. They were so so good. It's on the pricy side as one tub is 1250 but honestly it's so worth it Oh and the popsicles are to die for as well. My favourites are tamarind, lime and mint, mango, passion, and mango and passion together And they don't have these nonsense packaging charges and taxes on Uber ❤️ PS I had two more flavours today Caramel fig ++ naarang mint Sooooooo good ❤️❤️

Best popsicles ever… tried the choc nut and nutella pops 1st time.. and for the 2nd time we tried the pomegranate and pistachio pops and bought home a rocky road gelato tub. The pomegranate which was fruit based pop really tasted like natural fruit. Quality-wise the best natural tasting popsicles I have ever had in SL. It’s a little difficult to find the location through google maps so give them a call if you are visiting the outlet. Wish there were more cremalato outlets around the country 🥹

This popsicle is amazing in taste wise. But completely disappointed in size wise. The size is very small compared to the price. They don't have dine in facility. The popsicle is made out of fresh fruits. Taste is superb. People should try. But the portion is very small. Thanks alot

Recently ordered some Kulfi popsicles for the father's day offer through Uber Eats. I am surprised that it arrived before melting down. It was in 3 flavours the taste is different, so should try. At least this is the first time I tried Kulfi. The presentation is good. I would say if you get a chance to visit and eat is the best option. One if the Kulfi's I kept in freezer turned into a strange ice cream. To be honest I would say the price is above average for its quantity. But for the new experience and the quality I will rate this 5 till I try something new from their listings.

Decent dine in space hidden away from view and well traversed main road, though noise from the road is there. Great for a secluded date or meeting spot. Like the atmosphere for its overhanging and peripheral foliage and privacy. I wish I can get the cream buns every-time, but they sell out fast!

First-timer here! After (hot) 1-hr tennis lesson down the street, came here for an all-natural, frosty cool lime juice, x2. Nice people.

Pretty much the worst service I’ve gotten at a Perera & Son’s outlet. Literally put my chocolate upside down on a plate, on purpose. No tissues, no bill or warm customer friendly smiles.
