Nestled in a charming corner of Colombo, the Sea Fish Restaurant has been delighting seafood enthusiasts since its inception in 1969. This iconic eatery boasts an extensive menu that showcases local seafood favorites alongside a variety of pastas, sandwiches, and delightful desserts like chocolate biscuit pudding and fresh fruit salad. Signature dishes such as the Ceylon Sea Fish Premium Mixed Boat and Negombo Prawn Curry are must-tries for anyone seeking authentic flavors.
Great service and delicious food. sefood is exceptional very reasonable price, excellent service, Highly recommended this place. I love this place, very friendly staff. Thank you for everything, Cheers.

We visited this restaurant after reading many good reviews on Google. We ordered crab soup, grilled seer fish, and a dish of devilled crabs, which came with French fries and boiled veggies. We specifically asked them to prepare the crab dish with a fresh jumbo crab, but what we received was a very old crab, and we ended up paying 19k just for the bones. There was barely anything to eat in the crab dish. While the soup was good, overall we are very dissatisfied with the service, especially considering the high price. We would not recommend this place to anyone.

🌊✨ Sea Fish Restaurant Colombo – A Seafood Lover’s Paradise! ✨🌊 Just had an unforgettable dining experience at Sea Fish Restaurant, one of Colombo’s oldest and most iconic seafood spots! 🦀🐟 Established over 50 years ago, this place is a treasure trove of fresh catches and nostalgic flavors, blending local Sri Lankan recipes with Asian influences . Why we loved it: - Fresh & Flavorful: From Jaffna-style crab dishes to classic fish curries, every bite was a burst of coastal goodness. Pro tip: Try their signature seafood platter! - Timeless Vibes: The restaurant’s longstanding reputation speaks for itself—perfect for family gatherings or treating yourself . - Price Point: While seafood in Colombo leans pricey (expect ~$25–$35 for two), the quality here justifies the splurge . Heads up: Locals say this is a spot for special occasions, so channel your inner foodie and dive in! 🍽️ 📍 Location: Colombo 02 #SeafoodHeaven #ColomboEats #SriLankaFoodie

Ordered seafood tempura, thai seafood fried rice and exclusive lunch platter. Quantity was more than sufficient, hot served but a little delay in serving.

All their food was amazingly delicious. The servers greeted us and even served us by pouring the food to each of our plates and poured us water. So everything was perfect until something happened 😂😅 after we finished the dinner and paid for the meals, the server was checking the book receipt in front of us and showed us disappointment look, he was closing the book receipt with a rough gesture and cleaning our table (again) while we’re still sitting there. It’s because we didn’t put any tip for them. It was our last night in Colombo, and we didn't have a lot of spare cash with us. It’s fine to hope to have a tip but never expect or even force it, we saw there was a service charge, so basically we have no obligation to give a tip.

Disgraceful treatment at Sea Fish! We visited Sea Fish in Colombo with a group of friends, looking forward to a good meal after having a drink at another restaurant nearby. Instead, we were treated with shocking disrespect by the staff. And the manager was even worst! As soon as we arrived, we were told we couldn’t bring bottles after 8pm—despite the fact that we claimed that we will leave by the time being after having dinner and so. It felt like they were simply looking for an excuse to turn us away. The way the staff approached and spoke to us was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic hospitality. No effort was made to welcome us or even clarify the situation respectfully. Their attitude ruined the mood of our evening. We expected a proper response from the manager but he sounded with single words and it’s harsh. Being a customer for so long and Sea Fish may have a reputation for food, but with this kind of treatment, it’s not worth it. If you’re looking for a place that values its customers, this is not the one. Absolutely disappointed. Totally unacceptable to get treated like this! Shame on the entire community
Dayalan M — Google review
Visited with my friends for dinner. Everything was kinda OK. The food was great and the staff was very professional. One mistake from their side, I ordered a cocktail, blue lagoon, and specifically said 50% less sugar. But that was not taken seriously, and I was given the full dosage. That somewhat ruined an otherwise a great dinner experience.

Executive lunch was tasty. Worth the price. Good service. Decent place to dine if you are in or around Colombo Fort. Went for Dinner on 28/12/22. It took more than one hour for them to serve the order. Food taste was average. It is very sad to see the service levels and quality of food is declining, at sea food restaurant -where we use to have lots of fond memories. Still I will go there for lunch.

Restaurant
Ministry of Crab, founded by Sri Lankan cricketing legends Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara along with culinary expert Dharshan Munidase, is a seafood haven that pays homage to the country's delectable crabs. The restaurant, which opened in 2012 in a restored old hospital building, has quickly become a favorite among locals and tourists.
We had such an amazing experience at Ministry of Crab in Colombo! I loved the little touches – like being served oysters on a mini cricket bat and seeing the history of cricket stars on the welcome reservation card. Such a unique and beautiful idea! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the jumbo-sized crab – it was the highlight of the night. The flavors were incredible and so fresh. The service was top-notch, really attentive and high standard, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re in Colombo, I’d definitely recommend visiting Ministry of Crab – it’s not just a meal, it’s an experience!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an incredible experience at Ministry of Crab! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality stood out. A huge shoutout to Anoja at the front desk who went above and beyond to squeeze me in even though the restaurant was full — her warm welcome and effort to make it happen set the tone for a memorable evening. The service throughout was excellent, especially from Madin, who was not only attentive but also genuinely friendly and kind, making me feel completely at ease. And of course, the food… absolutely outstanding! The crab and prawns were perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and lived up to every bit of the hype. The quality of ingredients and the way each dish was prepared really shows why Ministry of Crab is world-renowned. Overall, a perfect combination of amazing food, top-class service, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend — and I’ll definitely be back!

We had dinner at Ministry of Crab last night as a couple with our 10-year-old, and it was a fantastic experience overall! The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy — perfect for a family evening out. We tried the clay pot prawn curry with rice, and it was absolutely delicious. The prawns were fresh and perfectly cooked, but the real star was the rich, coconut-based gravy — bursting with flavor! We also had passion fruit juice, which was refreshing, though a bit on the sour side for our taste. Overall, a memorable dining experience with great food, friendly service, and a lovely ambiance. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Colombo Fort! 🍤🥥🇱🇰
Shaon S — Google review
This amazing restaurant lived up to all the hype. From when you arrive you are treated with a first class experience. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, and know the menu off by heart. The food is sensational. The prawns and crabs are delicious. My tip, don’t go for the heavily spiced or strongly flavoured sauces, and let the crab do the talking! Sitting in a 400 yo building, surrounded by history and eating top quality food is well worth the pricing! Enjoy!
Jacqui B — Google review
Ministry of Crab in Colombo is a must-visit if you love seafood, especially crab. The place has a warm, stylish vibe inside a beautiful old colonial building. The star of the menu is definitely the Sri Lankan lagoon crab—fresh, meaty, and cooked just the way you like it, whether it’s spicy pepper, garlic chili, or buttery goodness. The staff are super helpful and friendly, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but totally worth it for a special night out. If you're in Colombo, treat yourself—you won’t regret it!
Mohammed I — Google review
We had such a wonderful dining experience at the Ministry of Crab! Before going, we were a little bit skeptical and worried it might just be another tourist trap, but we were pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding—attentive to every details, anticipating our needs before we even asked, and offering helpful guidance on how to order. We tried only two dishes, the claypot curry and the chili garlic crab, but they were absolutely addictive. The sauces were so good that we couldn’t resist overindulging, especially with all the bread. In short, we really enjoyed our dinner and definitely worth a try when you are in town!
HH H — Google review
What a great dining experience at the Ministry of Crab. On arrival service and welcome by Dilanka was warm and welcoming. He explained the menu and guided us through our choices and sizes. The prompt ongoing service for drinks and wipes and extra touches to make our meal memorable were attended to. The entrees of prawns, clams, oysters were each amazing in presentation and flavour. We had three varieties of crab for our main as a group and each were different and delicious. The fleshy crabs were the best I have ever eaten and the body of flavour in the sauces were rich and delicious. The Sri Lankan bread and rice helped us enjoy the sauces and flavours. It was a beautiful meal experience. We rounded off with perfect macchiato coffees. If your budget can stretch this far, I highly recommend a meal here. Just remember to book as our lunch sitting was fully booked out.

When in Sri Lanka, you absolutely have to dine at the Ministry of Crab (MOC)! It’s more than just a meal — it’s a luxurious culinary experience. As someone from southern India, I’m no stranger to crab, but MOC took it to an entirely different level. The freshness, seasoning, and presentation were impeccable, making each bite memorable. The ambiance adds to the experience, with a lively yet sophisticated vibe that complements the food perfectly. Be prepared to spend a little more, as it is one of Asia’s top restaurants, but trust me — it’s worth every dollar. From the first bite to the last, it’s an indulgence that will leave a lasting impression. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking for a fine dining experience in Colombo, MOC is an absolute must-visit! P.S. Be ready to get your hands a little messy — eat the Sri Lankan way! Using your hands is part of the fun, and yes, you’re supposed to feel a little messy while enjoying every bite.

Beach Wadiya is a renowned beachfront restaurant in Colombo, known for its abundant seafood supply and massive seafood platters. It has a no-frills style of cooking that emphasizes simple but flavorful authentic Sri Lankan classics. The restaurant has been a popular hangout for over four decades and still retains its old charm, attracting both locals and foreigners. Beach Wadiya is famous for its super cool local beer and Hot Buttered Calamari served as a tapas dish.
From the outside, the restaurant doesn't look like much, but choose a table on the beach and enjoy a nice chilled Lion lager while enjoying the cool sea breeze. The waiters will bring out the days catch still fresh on a platter for you to choose and decide how you want it cooked. The food was fresh and delicious and I highly recommend you try this restaurant if you are in town.
Gareth C — Google review
From the road Beach Wadiya looks run down, but cross the train tracks, and you a get warm and friendly welcome from the staff. We just wanted to grab a sunbed and have a few drinks, beers were cold, lime juice fresh and sweet and the view is to die for. We didn't eat this time but the food that came out from the kitchen looked and smelt lovely and no one was complaining. The beach was clean and tidy which was a bonus.
P H — Google review
Had dinner at Beach Wadiya, Colombo and loved it. Tried the oysters, devilled fish, and grilled prawns — all super fresh and full of flavor. Cool vibes and awesome beach views. Definitely worth checking out if you are into seafood.
Saad S — Google review
I had seafood soup and fish fillet with mashed potato. Both dishes tasty, but extremely small portions. I got oysters and I didn't like them. Too bittersih. It's laid back atmosphere. But they could clean their part from garbage. Looks filthy. The waiter should gain more language skills. It is pricey the quality of the service. Do not recommend.
Dragan R — Google review
It was a delicious seafood dinner of dishes cooked simply, keeping the original flavour of the dishes intact (instead of piling it with a lot of sauces and oils!. We had the Prawn Soup, 2 portions of Oysters with lime and a dash of hot sauce (yum!), 1kg grilled whole fish (from the day’s fresh catch), and a salad as an accompaniment.👏👏 Service and cleanliness was very good. However they need to work on ambient lighting, do something about the cats who try to climb on chairs (!!), and maybe add some light music to enhance the mood. 🙂
Dilrukshi F — Google review
The view from this restaurant was breathtaking and staff was very kind. We weren’t very happy about fried seafood, but oysters were delicious.
Tereza F — Google review
Such a disappointment. We went over for dinner. The wait was so long! Over an hour. The food was absolutely awful! So salty! You can’t eat anything! Every single dish was salty. Even after complaining that the food was not good, there was no manager to be seen. When asked the waiter for the manager he said he’s only there during afternoons. Then asked the cashier who claimed to be the manager. They re-served the fried rice, a prawn dish and kangkung which was comparatively less salty yet not up to restaurant standards and was still so bad. When the second set of prawns came in, they weren’t cleaned. Disgusting! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone who has tastebuds.

If you're on the hunt for a seafood experience that won't break the bank, look no further than Off The Hook. This charming eatery offers an inviting atmosphere where fresh seafood takes center stage. Guests can browse a delightful selection of fish and shellfish displayed on ice, handpicking their favorites before deciding how they'd like them cooked and paired with sauces or sides.
This place always serves good food. Ordered the crab bisque which was very flavorful, pesto penne pasta with chicken, seafood pasta and the nasi goreng .. food was very tasty and didn't have to wait long for the food. The strawberry mojito (mocktail) was refreshing.

Food took forever to be served.... And the chefs speciality was not great. The water Bottle after being confirmed to be served Chilled was not so. Prices are high and the place was understaffed. Didn't enjoy the food as I have tasted better.

One of the best in Colombo for seafood. Staff a little absent minded but the food makes up for it. Tried they local Sri Lankan red curry ...its fire on ur tongue. Be very careful if u order it . It's tasty but it's super spicy and may spoil ur apetitite. The fried prawns and the squids are a regular to suit any palette. Convinient access and egress and easy to find restaurant on the main road, big seating area. In short its worth the penny.

The food here was not great, but ok. There were 11 of us and we ordered a good variety of food. The noodles dish was a big disappointment as the portion was very small. The ice coffee we got was more of a milkshake. We also got sushi, salmon, and katsudon dishes which were ok. The parking here is non-existent, with the nearby cargills and byroads being the only options available. Biggest disappointment was the amount of time it took for them to serve us food. We had to wait close to one and a half hours for the food to arrive at the table.

Great variety of sea foods are available. Good quality of foods. Very tasty. But prices are pretty high. Taste of food can beat the price. No parking available. Friendly staffs. Clean environment. Not a cozy place. Bar also available. Servents are so patience. They explain every foods like what are the ingredients and how it will taste. I recommend this place for lunch or dinnerout. Can go as group also.

Love the food the experience and specially the help we got from the staff who was helping us was spot-on. All in all a very unique experience with extremely good seafood. A must for everyone who is visiting Sri Lanka to enjoy the seafood platter with the country offers.

The Lagoon at Cinnamon Grand is hands down one of the best places in Colombo for seafood lovers. The selection of fresh seafood on display is simply outstanding, and you get to choose exactly what you want and how you want it prepared. The baked crab was absolutely amazing, bursting with flavor, and the oysters with cheese were nothing short of heavenly. Almost everything is priced per 100 grams, so it can be a little on the pricey side, but for the quality, taste, and overall experience, it’s worth indulging in once in a while. A must-visit if you’re craving top-notch seafood in the city!
Kavinda D — Google review
The Lagoon is a wonderful experience! It’s expensive but worth treating yourself at least once. The food is fresh and flavorful and I love that you can choose your protein before it is prepared. You can also choose how it is prepared (i.e.: grilled, steamed, fried etc) and you can choose the sauce it’s prepared in. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they are great about giving suggestions. The sides are all delicious as are the drinks - you cannot go wrong no matter what you choose. I wish I knew everyone’s names because they are all so friendly but our last waiter was Priyanga and he was a lot of fun! Truly a 5 star experience!

This is the best place for Seafood 🍤 in Sri Lanka . Love the Tamarind Cuttle fish , the Fish Roe and the Handella fish and the fish and chips. . The Red curry Modha and Chili Garlic prawn was very flavorful. The garlic rice was not very good but we sent it back and they re did it . It is always better to make a reservation and come . Weekends have always been full . There is a selection of beverages I like the “Amurthya” I had

The Lagoon – A Must-Visit for Seafood Lovers in Colombo Located inside the Cinnamon Grand Colombo, The Lagoon is tucked away just past the right side of “Chutneys” (formerly “Cares”)—step out into the garden area and head down to find the entrance. This elegant seafood restaurant offers a wide and fresh selection of fish, shellfish, and crustaceans. The unique part? You choose exactly what you want from the display—prawns, lobsters, crab, tuna, cuttlefish, and more—along with your preferred cooking style (grilled, fried, steamed, curried, etc.) and sauce or seasoning. Prices are very reasonable for the quality: most items are priced per 100 grams, generally between 2,000–3,000 LKR depending on the type. The staff are exceptionally professional and attentive, helping with recommendations and making sure your experience is smooth from start to finish. The setting is refined yet relaxed, making it perfect for both casual seafood feasts and special evenings out. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a premium seafood experience in Colombo.

The food is average. We went for buffet lunch. The spread could have been better. Very limited selection. We orderd a grilled lobster, not up to the expectation level. Overall experience good..

I came to The Lagoon as a group , collectively we ordered sautéed scallops , crab claws , sesame prawns , white curry with fish, thick coconut gravy with cuttlefish , fenugreek curry with prawns , fried rice , fried noodles , wok fried veg, Thai omlette and roast paan. The scallops and curries were all delicious along with the fried rice . The roast paan was rock solid and the crab claws and sesame prawns are okay. The cocktails I tried were nice but they did get the order wrong . Also when receiving the bill, they had accidentally added another tables order into our bill which we then rectified.

Nestled along the stunning shores of the Indian Ocean, the Ocean Seafood Restaurant at Kingsbury offers a remarkable dining experience that combines breathtaking views with culinary artistry. As you savor dishes crafted from an array of fresh seafood like oysters, lobsters, and salmon, you'll be captivated by the chefs' live cooking demonstrations. The restaurant's elegant interior radiates sophistication and charm, making it a perfect spot for a romantic evening out.
My fiancé and I popped into Ocean Seafood Restaurant for lunch on a weekday, and it was a pleasant experience overall. As expected for a weekday, the place was very calm and quiet with hardly any crowd, which suited us perfectly since we were looking for a relaxed, low-key meal. The ambiance was soothing—nothing fancy, but comfortable enough for a casual bite. We decided to skip the traditional buffet and went for the à la carte menu instead, as we wanted something quick and tailored to our tastes. We ordered the seafood fried rice and a mac n cheese, and both dishes hit the spot. The seafood fried rice was packed with flavor—fresh, well-seasoned, and loaded with tasty bits of seafood that made every bite enjoyable. The mac n cheese was a pleasant surprise too; creamy, cheesy, and perfectly comforting without being overly heavy. For a quick lunch, the portions were just right, and the food came out fast, which we appreciated. The service was another highlight—super friendly and attentive without hovering. The staff made us feel welcome and checked in just enough to ensure we were happy with everything. It’s not often you get that level of warmth for a simple weekday meal, so kudos to the team for that. Overall, Ocean Seafood Restaurant is a solid choice for a quick, tasty bite in a laid-back setting. It’s not a blow-your-mind kind of spot, but it delivers on good food and friendly service, especially if you’re in the mood for seafood or a no-fuss lunch. We’d definitely consider stopping by again when we’re in the area and craving something simple yet satisfying.

Lovely sea food restaurant for fine dining. Food was amazing. Prices a bit high which is however expected with sea food. You can select your fish from display or pick from the menu it’s fresh and well prepared. The place is family friendly and atmosphere is very elegant and charming with spacious seating areas. Staff was nice and professional, But Sometimes service was a bit slow but maybe can be overlooked if they were understaffed that day. Overall a good experience.

I had the pleasure of dining here while in town for a JW Special Convention, and it was such a great experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was attentive from start to finish. The food was freshly made—you even select your own fish and choose how you’d like it prepared. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. Drinks were perfectly balanced, and everyone in our group left completely satisfied. Highly recommend!

The modern aesthetics and the frozen seafood displayed within a cubicle are certainly the star of the restaurant. There is a solid variety of dishes, including beverages to choose from, but the prices are not entirely worth some of the dishes served. It is disappointing to mention that the fish was slightly overcooked as well as the squid. The quantity could be a bit more, but I suppose it's more about the experience than the food itself. However, the other dishes were flavourful and well presented. The customer service wasn't too bad apart from being clumsy twice they are more than happy to assist you. Overall, it was a classy dining experience with good seafood to savour.

Best seafood restaurant in Colombo and surely one of the best I’ve been. Delicious seafood that you choose on the counter and ask to be prepared as you wish. Staff extremely helpful on suggesting different recipes. I couldn’t recommend more. No need to be hosted in the hotel, which is also very cozy. Very reasonable prices.

🌊 Ocean Seafood Restaurant – A Must-Visit for Seafood Lovers! If you're passionate about seafood, Ocean Seafood Restaurant at The Kingsbury is a dream come true. I visited for dinner and was instantly impressed by the elegant ambiance and the mouthwatering aroma of spices in the air. 🦀 Crabs Galore – You can indulge in crab dishes to your heart’s content. Their Sri Lankan-style crab curry is rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Paired with Ros bread and Pol sambol, it creates a harmony of taste that truly matches the mood of a coastal culinary escape. 🍸 Cocktail Delight – I tried one of their cocktails, and it had a smooth, refined liquor taste that complemented the meal beautifully. The restaurant also offers a wide selection of liquor options to suit every palate. 🍰 Sweet Ending – Don’t skip dessert! Their sweet offerings are just as impressive, rounding off the meal with a satisfying finish. 📸 Atmosphere & Experience – The setting is chic yet cozy, ideal for a relaxed dinner or a special night out. With views of the port city and attentive service, it’s more than just a meal—it’s an experience. ✅ Verdict – Whether you're a local or visiting Colombo, Ocean Seafood Restaurant is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be going back!

Ocean Seafood Restaurant at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo is a wonderful spot to enjoy a relaxed and elegant dining experience. The spacious and cozy setting makes it perfect for a quiet meal or a good conversation with friends. The interior design is tasteful and gives the place a high-end feel, while the surrounding view adds to the pleasant atmosphere. I’ve visited twice, and on both occasions, it wasn’t crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food is served promptly and tastes great. The hot butter mushroom dish and the strawberry mojito, in particular, stood out – both were absolutely delicious. The service is excellent, with plenty of staff available at all times. They are attentive and quick to respond to any request, making you feel well taken care of throughout your visit.

On August 1, we (a party of 2), arrived at the restaurant at 8:45pm and were swiftly moved to a nice table overlooking the pool. The presiding manager (whose name I forgot) guided me in selecting fresh fish, accompaniments, and style of preparation. When the food arrived, it looked very enticing and the waiter served us the rice, vegetables, and fish to get us started. What an amazing preparation, it was delicious from the first to the last bite, finishing off with amazing desserts. Kudos to the manager, waiting staff, attending staff, and not forgetting the chefs, we walked away fully satisfied knowing we wish to be back for more.

The Manhattan Fish Market draws inspiration from the iconic Fulton Fish Market, establishing itself as a premier international seafood franchise. This casual dining spot is renowned for its high-quality specialty dishes that are crafted to perfection, making it a haven for seafood lovers. With a commitment to health-conscious dining, all meals served here are trans-fat free, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their culinary experience without worry. This restaurant chain has gained immense popularity thanks to its American-style fish and shellfish offerings paired with friendly service.
They have newly introduced sushi but still not available in the Uber eats. We had seafood burgers which is 2500 ripped without service charges. The seafood slider which are burgers with 3 different fillings calamari, chicken and prawn served with 3 different sauces and potato crisps. Nicely served. Delicious. The drinks we had were very good. The Brooklyn sunset and gummy bear

I really enjoyed the food — everything tasted super fresh and had a great crispness to it. Just a heads up though: you’ll want to dig in while it’s hot, because the crispiness doesn’t hang around for long. We visited on a pretty warm day, and while the atmosphere was nice enough, it would’ve been even better with a bit more air conditioning. Overall, still a good experience and I’d definitely come back.

Ordered a sea food platter and it tastes delicious . Grilled to perfection. Provided several types of sauces on request , they too tasted unique & different from each other. The ambience was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. Would love to visit again for the seafood 😍

This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves pasta and Western food! The pasta was perfectly cooked — creamy, flavorful, and full of fresh ingredients. From cheesy lasagna to classic spaghetti, every bite was absolutely delicious. The rest of the menu was just as impressive — juicy steaks, crispy fries, and rich, savory sauces that brought everything together. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the whole experience even better. A perfect spot for a relaxed, satisfying meal! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

The Manhattan Fish Market is located in the land side of the Galle Road, a few kilometers shy of the Colpetty junction. Food is tasty and there are good sea food options. Kids have a separate menu. We got a platter with batter fried calamari, chicken and rice, with drinks. One platter was enough for the two of us, but then we don't eat much! The restaurant is designed with a semi-open kitchen concept. Upstairs has a kids' play area with a trampoline, ball pit, slide and a mock mountain climbing area. Seating is available upstairs and downstairs both, and a mezzanine floor area with space for a private party. Good service. Stewards are attentive and efficient. Parking available at the front for a few vehicles. Roadside parking is also available.

I’ve been to several Manhattan Fish Market branches before, and while the food here was decent, it didn’t quite match the usual high standard I’ve come to expect from the franchise. That said, the staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the dining experience much more pleasant.

Isso, a casual dining spot in Colombo, lives up to its name by offering a variety of prawn dishes. One standout item is the Nasi Goreng, featuring a dome of fragrant rice dotted with plentiful prawn pieces and served with prawn crackers, salted cucumber slices, and a can of EGB. The dish also includes a flavorful prawn satay topped with smooth peanut sauce.
I had such a wonderful experience at Isso – Prawn Crazy! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. They are truly perfect in the way they treat guests very friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. I could see how supportive and professional they were, making sure that everything was taken care of without me even having to ask twice. The food was absolutely delicious every dish was cooked to perfection with fresh flavors and generous portions. The prawns were simply outstanding, full of taste and perfectly seasoned. You can tell a lot of care goes into preparing each meal. What stood out most was not only the quality of the food but also the warm and positive atmosphere. It’s rare to find a place where both the service and the food are equally excellent, but Isso – Prawn Crazy truly delivers on both. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a great dining experience with tasty food and an amazing team of staff. Definitely coming back again!

This was my first visit to this place and it was nice. We ordered fish and chips for dinner (even though it wasn't in the menu they said they can make it), and watermelon juice and ginger beer as drinks. We had to wait a little while to get our food as they informed us that the deep fryer had broken. Anyhow, we had a pleasant stay and the atmosphere was quite good.. The food was tasty, especially the sweet potato fries. The fish was so tender. For all this it cost around lka 6000 plus. Will visit again to try other dishes.

A restaurant dedicated to providing seafood based starters, meals and snacks, yet they also have a selection of vegetarian and chicken options to choose from. A restaurant with a pleasant ambience. We were impressed by the reasonable prices for the commendable quality of meals. The sweet potato fries and passion fruit lemonade available here are a must try! They also had a variety of desserts from milk toffee, cheese cake, curd and treacle to mention a few. The cherry on the top is the friendly and timely service of the staff. I would no doubt recommend the place to my family and friends.

Isso Prawn Crazy is an amazing spot for lunch! The food is always consistent and delicious. I especially love the Thai red curry and the Jaffna-style prawn dish (if I recall correctly) – pair them with the garlic rice and roast paan, respectively, and it’s pure perfection. The sweet potato fries (bathala fries) are a must-try too, with a generous portion that’s perfect for sharing. A fantastic place for anyone who loves flavorful prawn dishes!

Inn on the Green is a local hotspot in Sri Lanka that offers an authentic British pub experience. The cozy ambiance, complete with heavy wooden furnishings and soft lighting, sets the stage for enjoying hearty British-style cuisine and a wide selection of draft beers. Visitors can partake in the popular Pub quiz nights while savoring a pint of Lion lager beer. The bar also features mainstream music and provides a comfortable setting for catching up with friends over some classic pub grub.
It is a cozy bar. They have different kinds of beer. I tried the cucumber beer. Really nice place to chill. The staff is the best. We spent hours chatting with them and asking them about Colombo. They are so nice and friendly.

The In… on the Green Pub at Galle Face Hotel has a peaceful and relaxing ambiance, perfect for unwinding. The happy hours from 5:30 to 7:30 PM every day are a nice touch. However, the food was disappointing. We ordered the grilled pork with potato salad, but it lacked flavor and was quite underwhelming. On the bright side, the setting was great, and the atmosphere was cool and pleasant. Hopefully, the food quality improves to match the lovely location!
Hasanka S — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of visiting “In on the Green,” and it was an experience worth sharing. The first thing that strikes you upon entering is the wonderful ambience and aesthetically pleasing decor. The place has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for hangouts and social gatherings. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the stand-up comedy special. It was a refreshing and entertaining addition to the evening, and it’s great to see a venue offering such events. It adds a unique charm and keeps the patrons engaged and entertained. The food at “In on the Green” is truly a double-edged sword. On one hand, the taste is extraordinary. Every dish we tried was packed with flavors and beautifully presented. However, the portion sizes left much to be desired, especially considering the price. It would be wonderful if the management could revisit the portion sizes to ensure they provide better value for money. One area where the establishment could improve is in their billing. While the service charge is understandable, the addition of a heavy tax on the bill is a bit off-putting. It’s not common practice for all restaurants to charge taxes separately, and this feels like an unnecessary burden on the customers. It would be more customer-friendly if these charges were incorporated into the menu prices. In conclusion, “In on the Green” is a fantastic place with a lot to offer. The ambience, events, and food quality are commendable. If the portion sizes and billing practices are adjusted, it could elevate the experience even further. It’s definitely a place I would recommend for a fun night out, especially if you enjoy good food and live entertainment.

Nice, cosy place.Although we went to see the match, audio was not available. Drinks are reasonably priced. Yet food was nothing but ordinary. The portion is covered by over fried French fries. They have good deals for drinks.

Went in at happy hour. There was no prior information given to us about "government taxes" which was added to the bill to our surprise They added 10% service tax + 24% government taxes which we had no idea about. Upon enquiring,no one was able to show us any official/ government notice where it is mentioned that 24% government tax is mandatory. Very disappointed with the entire experience. Made us feel deceived. Would recommend to check with them about taxes prior to placing orders.

It a small cosy pub & has a old bar feeling. The best part here is the music, there's always some or the other live band playing & they are all so good. The cocktails were a bit of a disappointment but I liked the 'make your own drink' concept. The food's a little expensive here but it tastes fine.
Saakshi J — Google review
From the moment i step through its doors, i am enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth where locals and travelers alike come together to unwind and create memories. The ambiance of the pub is inviting, with its rustic decor and cozy seating arrangements that beckon me to linger a little longer. But it's not just the food and drink that make this pub special, it's the people. The staff are welcoming. Isn't just a pub, it's a haven where friendships are forged, laughter fills the air, and memories are made.

Located in the vicinity of Barracuda, The Station Restaurant & Bar is known for its delectable hot butter cuttlefish. Among the array of dishes offered, the highlight is undoubtedly the HBC (Rs. 600). This rendition has gained recognition as one of the top 5 HBC versions, featuring a crispy golden fried batter with a well-balanced seasoning and spice, complemented by perfectly cooked cuttlefish that appeals to local tastes.
Chilling on this quiet stretch of beach, knocking back a few cold ones, over some of the most amazing Garlic Butter Crabs. Then order the toasted bread to mop up all the delicious garlic butter.

Normal and simple crab here REALLY NOTHING SPECIAL. live music? Yea. Cute cats? Ya. Good food? Subjective… but much better than sg (100$$ for a small crab) 😭😭 Maybe another good thing here is the sea view. But BEWARE, there are lots of blood hungry mosquitos here. I got bit so many times but it got better overtime

I have never had the same experience at any other restaurant as I did at the Station Restaurant. The service they provided was so poor. I was very disappointed.😑😑 The seafood they served us was so dry that it was inedible🦀. The french fries they gave us were so burnt that they were inedible. 🍟 When we asked the reason, they said it was the nature of this food.🙄🤷 Likewise, the chicken bite they gave us could not be used as a snack at all. It was better eaten with something like rice or bread. They charged us over 23,000 rupees for such poor food and service. However, after we argued with them, they reduced the bill to 15,000 rupees. This restaurant fails to provide value for money and satisfy customers. * No parking 🅿️ * Toilet facilities are available 🚽 * BYOB 🍾🍺 * Smoking is allowed 🚬 * Food is available for dining and takeaway

I am very disappointed in your restaurant. It took hours to complete my order because your menu is not updated. You sent water-based potions in a paper box that leaked almost everything. Don’t you have the common sense to include a lunch sheet in your packaging? Additionally, I only received 10 pieces of cuttlefish for the large portion, which feels very cheap. If you want to be this cheap, perhaps you should reconsider being in business. Overall, I am really disappointed. Do not ever buy from this place

We had a great time at this place! We booked the upstairs dining area for a private function and it was super spacious. They let us decorate it however we wanted, which was awesome. The food was totally worth the price - everything tasted amazing. We could play our own music and weren't bothered at all. The staff downstairs were always on hand if we needed anything, and the manager was really helpful and checked in on us a lot. We stayed till 11:45 PM and they even offered to take down all our decorations afterwards. Highly recommended!

Avoid This Restaurant – A Complete Waste of Money Our visit to this restaurant was an extremely disappointing experience. I went with my family for dinner and we ordered the mixed grill, mixed seafood, and grilled chicken. Unfortunately, none of the dishes were worth the high prices they charged. The portion sizes were shockingly small. The grilled chicken looked more like a kids’ meal, yet we were charged full price. The mixed grill and seafood were even worse – the meat was burnt, and all we got were small, overcooked pieces served with basic French fries. I couldn’t believe they charged more than 13000 LKR for such poorly prepared food. The mixed seafood dish was bland and lacked even basic seasoning like salt. It was completely tasteless. When we raised our concerns with the staff, they didn’t take them seriously and showed no intention of making things right. It felt like they were used to receiving complaints and just didn’t care. To make matters worse, the washrooms were filthy and poorly maintained, with broken doors – absolutely unacceptable for any restaurant. Despite showing them the burnt food and expressing our dissatisfaction, we were still charged the full amount. There was no apology or effort to resolve the issue. I honestly don’t know how this place is still in business given the poor quality of food, lack of hygiene, and terrible customer service. Please do not waste your time or your hard-earned money here. Extremely disappointed – I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Firebeach is a popular spot in Colombo, especially on weekend evenings. It's known for its tasty flatbreads and vibrant atmosphere, attracting the city's party crowd. The venue offers a great view of the sunset, with pink and orange hues lighting up the sky. Guests can relax on daybeds or cane chairs while enjoying strawberry daiquiris. While prices may be higher due to catering to expats and tourists, the DJ plays retro hits, creating a unique and enjoyable experience.
If you’re chasing the perfect beach bar vibe, this spot might just be the crown jewel of the town. With cocktails that hit the spot, music that flows in rhythm with the ocean waves, and sunsets that melt straight into the horizon ❤️ — it’s pure magic. What I love most? The thoughtful seating — from cozy daybeds to lively group setups, you can pick a corner that matches your mood (or your crowd). Come Friday evening, it’s the ultimate hangout to unwind, sip, and soak up those unbeatable ocean views.

The location is really good with the sea view. The staff was good where they served the ordered beverages and snacks without much delay. The main food items were pre-ordered as we had 20+ members joined for dinner. We went there together with our customers to have dinner as a team outing. We had a very unpleasant experience with the food we had where 80% of our team got really ill after a day. The symptoms were quite different but it included vomitting, diaria and fever. It was really tough and personally the worst experience I have ever had due to food. The doctors said it should be a bacterial infection due to food poisoning. We have complained about this to the relevant authorities via our company, and hope they would take needed actions over this. Surprisingly when checking the old reviews, we noticed two similar incidents happened, and the questions from our foreign customers were how such a place is operated with such past incidents.

The food was not tasty at all, very dry and disappointing. I’d rate the food 1/5. However, the atmosphere makes up for it with a solid 4/5. Yarl Eat House is a no-frills eatery that offers an authentic experience of Sri Lankan street seafood culture. The modest setting and use of newspaper as napkins add to its charm. Known for its Jaffna-style spicy rice and curry, the restaurant's crab dishes are particularly popular despite slightly higher prices. Situated in Wellawatte, it stands out for its reasonable pricing, clean environment, and attentive service.
What can I say the best rice and curry in town with crab curry and fried fish. It's not for the faint hearted the place is a hole in the wall literally. The inside has expanded over 4x of what it used to be and best of all it's actually clean. Last time I went here was almost 15 years ago they were shut down for awhile but I'm so glad to see them back bigger cleaner and same great tasting authentic Jaffna food. You can't go wrong here it's unlimited food but please don't waste. Enjoy the best Jaffna food in Colombo here.

Great place for a puttu feed with crab curry. Their chicken and mutton curries are also pretty good. The waiters are polite and friendly. Just know that this is a typical saivar kade equivalent of a place selling non-veg meals. Prices are great too. It's not a big place, and probably can accommodate about 25 people. If you are a group larger than 4 best to make a reservation, because they do. There's one large table that could seat 8 that they usually hold for reservations.

⭐ 1/5 I had a very disappointing and concerning experience here. I ordered puttu kottu and was shocked to find a larvae inside the food. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen. Food safety should always be the top priority, but what I received showed a clear lack of quality control. I couldn’t eat after seeing that and I definitely won’t be returning. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves their hygiene practices, because serving contaminated food is dangerous and puts customers at risk.
