One of the best Korean Fried Chicken! Very authentic Korean cuisine. Tried their Tofu Stew soup and Japchae for dinner on our first day in Köln. Food was delicious but didn’t ordered their fried chicken. Returned again for their bibimbap and KFC. Their soy coated fried chicken(boneless) are amazingly well-fried. Boneless chicken rarely tastes so good! Visited twice and the restaurant can get very crowded during early dinner service too. This is a gem!

I saw a video of this place on Tiktok and decided to try it out. They are famous for their fried chicken but being alone, I saw that the portions were too big and settled for a bibimbap. It was delicious, wish they had a small portion try out version for the fried chicken.

This place is my monthly ritual (I used to even every fortnight before I got busy with work). I don't live in Köln mind you, so it really tells how addicted I am to their food. Best fried chicken in the whole entire NRW area. They are so crispy but juicy at the same time. Like how??? For me it's best paired with their sweet spicy soy sauce (Ganjang). my next favorite dishes would be their stews and japchae. Beyond the food, I also appreciate their hospitality and the plethora of side dishes. If I walk in, I always try to come outside of the meal times on weekends cause the waitlist could be long. Additionally, sometimes it happens that you need to wait for about 40 mins to get the chicken esp. when the restaurant is crowded. I think they are working to improve this tho cause my experience now is so much improved compared to a few years before. I really hope this place goes even bigger and that many more get to enjoy this place.

Ordered the fried dumplings and the classic fried chicken. They serve you a quite nice cabbage salad before your meal, giving you two sauces, some MSG and pickled radish, which is a great palette cleanser. The dumplings were very, very good, crispy on the outside, mushy on the inside, they were slightly under-seasoned but with the sauces etc. one could enjoy them quite a bit. The chicken also seemed a bit under-seasoned but had an incredibly soft texture, at least most of the pieces and in combination with the sauces and the MSG it was actually quite a good experience. Good stuff, overall.

Authentic Korean food with generous portions; the only drawback was that the inside of the fried chicken was slightly pink.

We came close to closing time and the owner (i suppose), still served us. We had the fried squid, some ramen and drinks. Price is fair for the quantity of food. The fried squids were reaply good, the ramen is ok. The interior of the restaurant is very nice.

Takoyaki and the vegan ramens we tried were amazing. We especially like the white tantan vegan ramen, the curry croquettes give richness to the mixture. Although the tomato was a bit out of place in my opinion to be honest. Serving time could be improved, especially for the appetizer (takoyaki).

Came here for the first time from Belgium, needless to say I had a blast in here. The food was exquisite, I was very full when I finished eating. The staff were super kind to me and the atmosphere was nice to be in, I really liked the posters on the walls. 5 stars, all the way, I would definitely recommend and revisit!

Very disappointing experience. We had to wait over an hour for our food, even on a Monday when it wasn’t busy at all. The service was poor, and our spring roll was still frozen inside. This restaurant is incredible! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, and the service goes above and beyond. The staff are so kind and attentive — they even noticed my dish was too spicy for me and surprised me with a milder version without me asking. Nice authentic Thai restaurant, my kids love the Pad Thai with shrimps there while I was amazed by the Tom Yum Soup and Green Curry with Pork. We have also ordered the Thai Platter and the portion is huge, but only the Satay Skewers and Fish Cakes got the scores.

Stumble across this gem of a Thai restaurant, while I was driving to cologne. This is as authentic as the food is going to get. I chose to go with Krapow Crispy pork as the main dish. My wife had the Salmon Curry. I had to say that they were delicious. The Tom Yum soup is pretty much like what they served in Thailand. Rest assured that you are eating excellent Thai food here. I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who had a craving for Thai food.

We were there for the new year eve and did not have any reservation. The restaurant staff were super nice and offered a table. The food was delicious and portions were great. I ordered a spicy Thai dish with Thai beer. The dessert options were also great. I ordered fried pineapple with ice cream for dessert and it just melted in my mouth with every bite.

Was craving a burger and popped in here - so glad I did! Right from the ordering process, the man behind there register was super helpful - very patient with my poor German. The food options are plentiful with beef, chicken, and veggie choices. Also gluten free choices for the buns. The burgers are made fresh as are the fries. They're served hot and well presented! Very generous serving sizes that are more than plentiful. More than enough side dishes to satisfy most cravings with additional sauces available for your fries or whatever. There's both outdoor and indoor seating options. Pictured are a hot honey chicken burger and a veggie burger - with a large order of fries and a mayo sauce for the fries. Easily the best burger i have had here in Cologne, service was pleasant, quick and efficient. Fries were something else - very greasy, crunchy and satisfying - how it should be done. Burger was also well made, meat was thouroughly cooked, produce was fresh, overall an excellent experience. This place also has standing tables - not really a common thing, but it was interesting.

The place is nice and cozy, and the service was really good; I can’t complain about that. The burgers were tasty, but the fries were extremely oily. I only ate them because I paid €7 for the fries and €2 for the sauce, and I was starving after waiting over 1.5 hours for my food. It was just two burgers and one order of fries—how could it take more than an hour? It’s unbelievable.

Found this place while strolling in Köln and was attracted by the nice retro design at first. We said we should give it a try and had a really nice burger of the week with sweet potato fries. The meat was good, quick serving (Saturday lunch). The sweet potato fries were not the best (or the worst!) I had, quite dry. All in all, good experience and I think I might go back!

Nice burger bar with a communistic theme outside of the city center in Köln. Hence the name Marx & Engels. The menu is titled Das Kapital. Despite according to their website the restaurant was fully booked, we did find a table. Service is mostly fast. Burgers are fine, fries too. Beer choice is limited. Nice decor.

I had burger of the week. It’s cheese bacon burger with double beef patties and served with fries and one dip. The price compared to the portion was quite fair. It’s a huge portion for me. I was full whole day after this lunch. However, the flavor of the burger was just okay. No bad but not good either. Just lots of meat. No rich flavor and the patties were overcooked (I ordered medium), so they were quite dried and hard. That day the air circulation system seemed broken, so it felt like sitting in a burger sauna.

I had a wonderful experience at Daikan Izakaya. I sat outside in their spacious outdoor area and really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. I tried the Crispy Chili Gyoza, Dynamite Shrimps, and the Rainbow Roll, paired with a refreshing Hugo cocktail. Everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented. The highlight for me was definitely the Dynamite Shrimps – perfectly cooked, flavorful, and addictive! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for tasty Japanese-inspired dishes, great drinks, and a relaxed vibe in Cologne. I’ll definitely come back!

The lunch menu was decent. Delicious and not too pricy. Drink was tasty too. I'm just curious why the food are lukewarm, not hot. The temperature of the food are a bit too low... When I come one on Monday afternoon, the smell in the restaurant was terrible. There was a strong odor like rotten meat when I enter the restaurant. And once in a while there are odors that resembles moldy refrigerator/ moldy toilet flow to our area. It was not so pleasant...Besides the air quality, and food temperature, everything else was good...

🍜 Came in for a late night dinner around 9pm and sat at the Bar to watch the chef make sushi. 🍜 We ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and the Shio Ramen with a couple of Hot Green Tea 🍵 🍜 The Shio Ramen was pretty bland with no Flavor and the chicken Chashiu just doesn’t taste as good as the tradition pork Chashiu. The Spicy Miso Ramen was pretty good. The broth was very tasty and the noodles were delicious. Asked for extra hot water for our tea and just FYI you’ll be charge for a second tea so might as well get a new bag of Green Tea. 🍜 Service was average, the place is fairly small. The vibe was casual with young people just casually talking. Very laid back and you really don’t have to dress up for this spot.

I don’t mind waiting in line here because it always moves fast, and the food is worth every minute. The place has this lively, bustling atmosphere — loud, busy, but somehow running like clockwork. The staff are friendly and efficient, making sure orders come out quickly. The portions are big, the prices fair, and the flavors spot on. The highlight for me was the grilled lamb adana— juicy, smoky, and absolutely satisfying.

Food was very tasty, but I had takeaway and they didn’t put much rice or lamb for the €17 I paid. They filled up the container with salad. I think it would have been better to just get a durum. The best durum I have ever tried. It tastes so great and delicious. We were considering taking another tour of it. Eventually we came second time for a plate - it was also super good (but personally I liked the durum more). Totally recommend it to visit but there is a queue always. It’s worthy waiting!

Visiting from Texas, and this was by far the best Adana kebab I’ve ever had! Totally worth the wait in line. The line moves pretty fast anyway. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Kebapland in Köln definitely lives up to its reputation!

The line may be long but it is definitely worth the wait! The most delicious kebabs I have had in a while 🤤 The sandwich is big and filling and super good. The service is actually really fast. There are a few tables to sit down and dine in but there is also a bench just behind the cart where you can sit and eat.

A very decent (and busy) turkish kebab shop in Cologne. There’s a queue, and you’ll be sat with others at the table, but that is a part of the charm of the place I suppose. The adana kebab is succulent, the rice and bulgar wheat is complimenting the dish, and the salad is a refreshing addition. Very reasonable prices. Ayran is a must next to it. The place is not fancy so don’t expect bells and whistles, just a solid adana kebab at a busy spot. We’ll be back.

We visited this place on our first day in the city centre. We did not know yet where the good restaurants were and the kids were already hungry so we decided to grab a small bite. The food was okay, as usual at Pizza Hut, the kids had some pasta and finger food. But the service was very pleasant. Tuncay was responsible for our table and did a great job. Compared to other Pizza Hut outlets I have visited in many different places, this one was clean and tidy. Thank you guys!

No way the reviews are so low here. Pizza hut here is one of the best most nostalgic pizza huts around and the staff is lovely. Sometimes i forget how nice pizza hut pizzas are. The service was fine however I ordered a drink and there were 2 insects in my drink than when my pizza arrived there was a hair on the plate and then I saw that there was also a hair in my pizza. The waiter was nice however I would not recommend due to the poor sanitation of the restaurant.

Situated right in Neumarkt, the pizza tasted good, but the wait time was lengthy—30 minutes to place the order and another hour to be served. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience despite the quality of the pizza.

Sunday, went there at 19:30. Three workers outside smoking told me that it was closed. Cool, even though the working schedule says they close at 20:30. After 45 minutes, I passed in front of the establishment again. The same three workers were inside, alone, just sitting there. It seemed to me they were just wasting time, waiting for 20:30.

I always loved the crust cheese pizza. It’s a good place to buy pizza and highly recommended. It’s near to the center of the city. Friendly and good personnel. We have ordered Garlic bread mix, Margherita cheese crust, Double mixed starters. The taste is amazing.

We came here as a big group. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, he brought us extra rice and chili sauce, which we really appreciated. The food itself was a bit too plane tho, it felt too westernised and the menu was quite boring. I would not recommend it, if you're looking for an authentic experience. I think it is perfect tho for a bigger group, as the dishes are average and there are options for any kind of diet. The prices were also quite high in relation to the prices.

I loved their Fried Rice and their Duck Curry! I'd recommend 10/10 and it's even better if you visit during lunch time. Only 10€ for the fried rice and it's the best you can find in the city. One of the top Vietnamese restaurants in the inner city.

We came as a group of tourist of 4 people. They have menu in English, and the staff speaks English and is extremely service minded. We got offered extra noodles and sauce for free, and received free candy after the meal. The location is really nice with a good atmosphere, and the food is very good. I eat a lot of Vietnamese food, and this is one of the top places I have visited. Can only recommend.

My impressions of this place have been mixed over the years and currently are quite good. It is possible to select interesting plates that are well beyond the usual Viet dishes. The menu is a bit too big for my taste for I feel it's difficult to serve many different things in a high quality. However, last time we were really happy with our choices and what we got. We also tried two of the cocktails which were much better then the usual 'asian fruit punch'.

Decided to try this one out based on reviews and I am glad I did. The lady at the counter was very friendly (we seamlessly spoke in English), they prepared our order in a pinch and the food was tasty. I particularly liked the sauce trays that you can get from the counter, including soy sauce, chilli sauce, fish sauce with chillies and chilli powder. Once you have placed your order at the counter, the restaurant is self-service. But the prices are so affordable and the atmosphere so nice that you won't mind :)

All dishes are too sweet and I didn’t like the taste at all. I don’t recommend this restaurant, it’s was not my favorite restaurant, but maybe you would enjoy it. In my opinion, it is somehow pricey regarding the food and service. It’s located just next to Heumarkt station. You can either sit outside or inside.

Ordered the Tantan Men (with the marinated egg) and matcha. One of the best ramen experiences I've ever had. Very very savory broth with absolutely the right amount of salt, the taste of which was intensified more with the chili oil. The amount and texture of the chicken was very very good overall. Also every ingredient was extremely fresh even though I visited on a Sunday evening. The marinated egg was absolutely amazing as well. The restaurant overall was warm, cozy and very well lit. Recommended.

Nice for lunch with decent price! The service was quick and friendly. The soup was a bit vicious and thick rather than creamy. But maybe this is the traditional Japanese way. I will definitely try next time the normal non-creamy soup base! :)

Authentic Japanese restaurant. Good service, delicious food with the Japanese atmosphere makes it one of the best restaurants in Köln, despite the location is a bit far away from the centre. Would definitely recommend their chicken ramen.

The food is standard and consistent as you’d expect from McDonald’s, but the overall atmosphere was less inviting than usual. The presence of a patrolling security guard gave it more of an airport or high-security vibe rather than a casual eatery. It made the experience feel a bit intense and rushed, rather than relaxed. Fine for a quick bite, but not the most comfortable spot to sit and enjoy your meal.

It was my first time in germany and i can say my experience was ruined due to one of your employees attempting to snatch my phone out of my hand and steal it. As well in the toilets are random people demanding money to use them, i almost paid one when i realized they wernt wearing a mcdonalds uniform and no one seems to care. I made a scene as the employee was man handling me trying to rip my phone out my hand and a manager came out and begged me to keep my mouth shut. Got some free chips out of it for my troubles. Literally this is the worst mcdonalds ive ever been to ajd would highly not recommend. I have footage of this attempted robbery but this particular location doesnt allow you to post video evidence in fear of damaging their reputation. Seriously mcdonalds how are you allowing this insanity. I understand youre going to get the custom regardless being in city centre but this takes the cake for worst experience ever in a food establishment.

There's a random guy asking for money for when you're going to the toilet. Other than that, it's a standard Mcdonald's. Food is fine, but the atmosphere is very "Ghetto" for a Mcdonald's next to a busy tourist spot at a major city.

Went here for our first date, for Christmas and 1st year anniversary, never disappointed:) Atmosphere is calm and peaceful, personel is nice and always tries to help out! PURE, AMAZING, VEGAN FOOD!!!!! Unbelievably healthy and fresh but most importantly actually great tasting. They had some unique dishes, you couldn’t go wrong with anything here. Everything was super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The summertime rolls were delicious, and the crispy tofu was next-level. The Pho Tron was really tasteful ;) And the hot banana was sooo yummy, and the Café Cot Dua, is da bomb!! The staff were really friendly too, and the atmosphere felt cozy and relaxed. I accidentally stumbled across this little place by the church of the twelve apostles when I was starving and it filled the hole very nicely. The food was absolutely delicious, big portions, very reasonable prices and I was looking at everyone else’s food and it all looked absolutely delectable! Would love to return when I’m next in Cologne!

Not quite the quality I expect when reading its google rating. We order Menu 1 pork belly bbq for 2. The meat was not the right cutting or quality, it doesn’t taste as i expected as in other korean bbq I have tried. We visited in December when outside temperature is quite cold and windy, the restaurant open window and front door which created quite some draft and not comfortable sitting in. Lettuce that we got has quite a bot of small pieces which make it not easy to wrap the meat. Too high expectation in google rating, but unfortunately we are disappointed.

Unacceptable confusing and convoluted payment methods, with no clear information or instructions, something I have never seen in any restaurant I went to. We ordered ourselves via the online page with a barcode, the food arrived quickly as well as the drinks. the food was good but when it came to pay the experience was among the worst restaurants I have ever been to. They have a call button on the table as well as on the app, which DOESN'T do anything? we waited for a good but before calling out to a waiter for wanting to pay, but nobody came with a bill or anything. After another 20 minutes we talked to another waiter (who barely spoke both German or English) who said payment was only possible at the counter. okay? but why have a call waiter, and bill button on the desks, IF YOU ARE NOT GONNA USE THEM. we go down to pay and then only there are informed we could only pay with a max of one card. Great... we wanted to pay seperate like all other restaurants but only here it wasn't possible. All in all - Seated fast - Food was great - WAITED 40 MINUTES for the bill before the 2nd waited informed us. - Borderline illegal payment practices (it's not directly illegal but a very bad look for the establishment) All in all would definitely not recommend, and look for a different place. Not beeing able to speak neither German or English for a majority of staff is not good for a center spot in cologne.

It’s great to have a Korean restaurant in Cologne—especially with the fun name ‘Gangnam Style Korean BBQ.’ It’s in a nice location near the river and is becoming quite popular.

The food was tasty and delicious. They make good Korean food. BBQ at the table was fun. We loved the restaurant. Their menu is not good. It says nothing about included side orders. We ordered food for 3 people instead of 2 because of the menu, spent way too much money and was not able to eat all the food. Staff was friendly but did not speak English. Or speak much at all. We had to go and get our own forks and chop sticks. They did not bring us any.

I honestly have no idea how trustworthy all these reviews are, because when we came by they had a 'promotion' where you had to leave a good review in exchange for free drinks. We actually found the food to be quite mediocre. The fried chicken and tempura mix were tasty, the BBQ and bulgogi was nothing special, the rose tteokbokki was a real disappointment. The taste was fine but the tteokbokki itself was super soft and therefore way overcooked, which was a shame. In addition, each table also has its own service button that you can press, which is very useful, but the sound was very unpleasant for us. Maybe it bothered us more because our table was quite close to their computer/kitchen entrance. Looking at our overall experience here, i would not come back again nor recommend.

The best Korean restaurant I have been In Europe so far! The taste is authentic and delicious. The fried tempuras and chickens are crispy and well seasoned. The Tteokbokki is also such a chef-kiss! I really have no complaints because everything was perfect. Though the service was a bit slow at the end because there were many customers coming in and not enough servers, the service was friendly and hospitable. 10 out of 10.

It's a good idea to make a reservation, especially on weekends or during peak dining hours, as the restaurant can get quite busy. The price on menu is exclusive of tax!!! It’s too pricey, 20€ per person in a fast food restaurant, but the taste of burger is not bad. Unfortunately, the milkshake makes me disappointed. I would give it five stars if it were sweeter and more creamy.

Quality-wise, Five Guys Köln City Dom delivers. The burgers are customizable and tasty, the free sauces and peanuts enhance the experience, and the milkshakes shine with endless mix-in options. But here’s the catch: Performance is solid—but the prices are steep for fast food.

A casual place next to the Dom, they have a good service and helpful people. It is a good place for smashed burger lovers. A milkshake is a must there. I tried the peanut butter milkshake. The portion of French fries is really big. You can enjoy, as well, free peanuts while waiting for your order. A good place a for a quick meal.

Service was a bit slow, only one cashier was open, although very nice and friendly but the rest of the kitchen crew seemed like they didn't want to be there at all, not a very nice, positive atmosphere. I waited 10 minutes for my burger, respectively, for fries to be ready. Food was as always great, juicy and fulfilling expectations. More than enough seats available, both inside and outside. Clean place and not busy as I would expect on Saturday afternoon. Paid by card. Visited in August 2022.

Five Guys Köln am Dom deserves a solid 4/5 stars! Situated near the iconic Cologne Cathedral, the restaurant's location adds to the overall experience. Nevertheless, if you're in the mood for a delicious, classic burger joint experience, Five Guys Köln am Dom is definitely worth a visit! The combination of tasty burgers, top-notch service, and its prime location make it a great choice for a satisfying meal in Cologne.

I tried both the chicken wings and the vegetarian wings. Honestly, the vegetarian option was much better – tasty and easy to enjoy. The chicken wings, on the other hand, were way too big and not very edible. That said, the staff were polite and provided good service.

If there is any place to eat wings in cologne is this place! It’s been quite a while since I started searching a good quality chicken wings in the city and a good buffalo sauce. The attention is really good and is everything pretty much automatic thru their app and order system. Definitely a place to try and go back again.

Holy hell, who knew I'd have the best Buffalo wings of my life in Cologne? Well, I did. And I've eaten a lot of wings. They were crispy, and juicy and the Buffalo sauce was the perfect combination of butter and hot sauce. I only wish they had a blue cheese dipping sauce and some celery to go with. Maybe they had that on the menu, but I didn't see it. They take all the orders digitally, which I didn't find easy or intuitive at all, especially when dining in. The location is convenient and it's nice that they have a little terrace outside. Staff were a little stressed, but very friendly and conversational when the rush had died down. All in all, love it, will be back x

Great wings, the owner was very friendly and really added to the overall experience. He made sure to inform us about the high quality chicken that is used and it was great to see someone talk so passionately about the quality of food nowadays. We had some feedback on the wings and he gladly listened and took it on board. I wish him nothing but the best for his restaurant. Would definitely recommend visiting this place for the food. 👍

We weren’t sure if this place was open as it was a few minutes until closing, however the staff were unbelievably friendly, told us to take a seat and asked us if we wanted to sit in and eat, even though they were supposed to be closing. Such an amazing experience thanks to the staff and delicious wings, wish we were in Cologne longer to try some more wings ☺️

We went for the 19,90€ Family set which consists of a full chicken, 2 breads, large fries and salad. The chicken tastes amazing, it is perfectly roasted and nicely seasoned. The fries were good but the salad was drenched in sauce and the bread, slathered with tomato sauce, was simply pointless. I suggest to just get the chicken.

The chicken was okay but way too salty!!! And I’m someone who loves her salt but this was extreme. Sides were fine although fries were too dry.

Total Lack of Hygiene. The food is decent. Grilled chicken is pretty good. BUT, there is a huge BUT . . . when handling the food they wear black rubber gloves. These gloves are sturdy and last a long time. I use them myself when doing oil changes on my cars and motorcycles, as well as other mechanical work. The PROBLEM at this place is... I have presonally watched the employees walking around with these gloves on, moving equipment from next door, boxes in and out the door, then without changing gloves, proceed to touch the food with those same gloves, and even take your money and give you change with the same gloves. Last time I was there, the change I was given was all greasy from the gloves. I've mentioned it to them a couple of times, but it doesnt change. I'm sorry to say, I'm never going there again. I have no desire to eat all the bacteria from peoples money and who knows what else is on the gloves they wear all day long. It would be better if they handled the food with bare hands and just washed their hands right after.

Having a truly hard time understanding the 4,7 star for this place. I would rather just eat chicken from an ordinary store. The rice had a taste of earth so that couldn't be eaten (i hope i don't get sick from the small amount i ate....). The chicken skin did have a taste but that's it, more than half of the chicken was dry, the other part was better but instead the taste was completely gone (all the taste is in the skin). The fries was eatable together with the garlic sauce and the guy taking the order was nice and helpful but that's sadly all the positive i have to say about this place.

We tried chicken and rice, the rice tasted like last night rice, it has strange taste and the chicken just tasty in the skin, the inside of chicken kind of tasteless.

Nice quality food, the way it was served was a bit odd though. It was like a build your own kebab but with chicken on the bone. However it was a large portion with lovely flavour. Came here with my girlfriend when on a short holiday break.

Excellent food, excellent hosts ! A must to visit in Köln. You feel immediately comfy in this « kneipe » ! Kölsch (local blond beer) from the tap is perfect served ! The grilled chicken is the best in town, served with delicious fried sweet potatoes. We had the chance to try the Gockel Alternative Menu : delicious asparagus homemade soup, perfect grilled beef, burrata with bear garlic-pesto, green & white asparagus cold served with strawberries and rucola ! What a menu 😋😋😋 Thanks to Lärs and his team !
