The longer wait inside after ordering definitely worked up an appetite. Our server was a 10/10—friendly, accommodating, and attentive. He even brought our drinks first since we weren’t quite ready to decide on food yet. The portions are very generous. So much so that the three of us couldn’t finish any of our dishes. Everything turned into a take-home situation, which was a bonus for later. Presentation was excellent, with each dish plated beautifully. The dining area itself is modern and stylish, a sharp contrast to the barn-like exterior. It makes for a pleasant surprise once you step inside.

My best friend took me here for my birthday, and it was wonderful from start to finish. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for the occasion. The food was not only delicious but also incredibly fun to share, especially with the "Tower for Two" option. It made the meal feel even more special and memorable. Went to NextDoor Restaurant in Unionville for brunch and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere is chic and cozy, perfect for a weekend catch-up. The food was fresh and nicely presented, especially the brunch mains — everything tasted great and felt thoughtfully made. Service was friendly, though a bit on the slower side since it was busy, but overall a great experience. Prices are reasonable for the quality and ambiance. Definitely a nice spot for brunch in Unionville — I’d happily come back to try more dishes!

Honestly, I don't regret having our wedding reception here. The exceptional communication with the team from before and during the wedding was on point, the drinks, cocktail hour food stations and dinner service was perfect. They decorated for me they did a phenomenal job. If you have an event here, you can trust they will take care of every need. The restaurant provided such a warm and beautiful setting, staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the meal and the atmosphere. The brunch tower is amazing. Highly recommend, might try the vegan option next time. The pancake 🥞 flavour changes everyday and today we got matcha white chocolate. We also got chicken waffles, slightly spicy and very crunchy. Drinks are amazing too. Would come back again.

Very nice environment at the south side of Unionville Main Street, food is always so delicious. Especially the BBQ EEL Croissant…. 😋😋😋 I am not a BBQ EEL person but after trying theirs, I came back again for it 😋😋😋 All waiters and waitresses are so great, too.

Chicken & Waffles came in 3 pieces of crispy Fried Chicken, paired with a Szechuan numbing-spiced Honey Glaze, served on a bed of Salad (low carbs diet continues, so happy with the swap), the Salad was tossed in a wonderful dressing, topped with Pico de Gallo, Corn and Feta Cheese, so GOOD! Shakshuka was a Tomato based brekky that had 2 Soft Boiled Eggs, Fried Halloumi Cheese and 2 slices of incredibly smoky Toasts, delish!

Been wanting to go here for the longest time and went on a weekday to avoid the weekend wait times just to be disappointed. 1 server managing everything in the front end overcooked eggs Benedict & coffee tasted burnt. I was really disappointed, after reading all their good reviews.

The fried chicken and waffle is pretty good. Fried chicken is crispy outside and juice inside. The sauce for the chicken doesn't taste like the usual sweet and sour plum sauce. There is a tar of vegetables freshness in the sauce. The waffle is on the dry side, not only outside but inside as well. The syrup is just normal. ....... the pork belly and egg are alright. The flavor for pork belly is good, but the bottom part is kind of dry and tough. The egg is fluffy. The americano coffee is good.

Alchemy Coffee is a cozy spot with top-notch drinks and freshly made food that never disappoints. Everything on the menu is thoughtfully prepared, from their baked goods to their light meals, always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. They offer a great selection of coffee and tea, and the service is consistently friendly and welcoming. The only thing to note is that the space is on the smaller side, and parking can be a bit tricky at times. But if you don’t mind that, it’s definitely worth the visit for quality coffee and a relaxing atmosphere.

Small operation, big on flavour. Sausage pasta, hojicha latte. Cozy atmosphere. Service was good, but then not many people here at this hour. Considering coming back just for coffee and a good read.

My favourite cafe in Markham! Excellent food and drinks, super friendly staff with a cozy environment. The portions are huge and reasonably priced. Alchemy is literally beating inflation. However, the shop is quite small so expect some wait time during weekends. Absolutely fantastic cafe overall and I would come again and again.

First time visited. Kind of busy in the weekend bruch hours. Ordered chicken waffles, steak and eggs, pork belly and eggs, cappuccino. The portions are great. Fried chicken were a bit salty and thick in batter, but chicken meat still juicy, taste not to our preference. Enjoy the simple green salad, waffles ok. Steak and pork belly tasted ok, would be good if have more steaks, as they were served in slices, not much. Staffs were polite but they seems short of staffs, only one or two servers, too busy to handle taking orders etc.

The place was packed at lunchtime on a weekend. It seemed like a popular hangout spot for a younger crowd. The place is in a small plaza so parking can be hard to find depending on the day of the week and time of day. Food was tasty although I found the pasta too soft and overcooked. The strawberry refresher was delicious and there was a generous amount of jelly.

I went there around 1pm on Saturday, the restaurant was almost full of house but had only 2 servers who were taking orders, running the food and cleaning the tables. That’s why most of the reviews complain about the service here. The food took time so long. My chicken and waffles were a bit burned. I poured maple syrup on my waffle and found A FLY was in the syrup bottle that came down into my plate. I told the waitress and she changed the new dish for me. I don't know that they even clean the syrup bottle, cuz it looks so sticky. There is no lid on the bottle. Also the glasses and water bottle are so dirty. This place was disgusting.

The food at A Cafe Cafe was awesome :) The Piggy Benny was awesome. The pan-seared pork and shimeji mushrooms were flavourful and delicious. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The Cortado was awesome. It was smooth with a hint of acidity. Would definitely recommend if you are craving a good Cortado. The Mango Slush was good. The Mango Slush was fresh, not too sweet, and perfectly made. Would definitely recommend.

love this cafe so much! came at around 3pm to get some work done - there was free wifi, outlets and lots of others doing work so perfect environment. ordered a latte, strawberry hojicha and the highlight was pancakes - so soft and fluffy, with a great portion of fruits. menu has a wide selection with affordable prices too. will definitely be coming back!

Good experience, good food. Nice cafe to play boardgames as well. Can get very busy on weekends. Tried the smoked salmon benny, piggy omelette. The marinated pork was really nice, just felt the portion size of the omelette was a little smaller compared to standard restaurants. The vietnam latte was really good. Strong freshly brewed beans. The hojicha strawberry was good too, totally recommend giving it a try.

My GF and I found this hidden gem. Let’s start with the fried chicken and waffles. Chicken was crispy and flavourful and the waffles were made just right! The portions look much bigger in person. The pancakes were the highlight for us! Super fluffy and moist. It was my first time having condensed milk on my pancakes and now I can’t have it any other way! Highly recommend 5/5!

Came here for a business brunch and was pleasantly surprised. The souffle was the best I’ve had in months—extremely soft and fluffy like a pistachio cloud bite. The chicken karaage was also outstanding—crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Great food and a lovely spot for both casual and business meals.

Heard from my friend about this restaurant and find myself it's really a gem in town! Pistachio soufflé is a must-try! It comes out airy and fluffy! Its nutty sweetness is so delicate. Truly a treat for anyone who loves dessert done right. Sirloin spaghetti is simply delicious.The beef is tender and pairs perfectly with full-bodied flavors in the sauce! Not a taste you can find in any other restaurants. Classical breakfast is so refreshing and filling. Salad veggies are very fresh! All is great with a cup of coffee which is smooth and aromatic. The food was good and came pretty fast. We ordered the chicken katsu with potato and salad. It was delicious. The soufflé pancake was amazing but took a while to cook. It is a small building, so tables fill up quickly.

Ate here a few times, the souffle pancakes are good, pasta is cooked al dente. The food is generally well done with the exception of the sirloin beef pasta, where the beef felt and tasted like it was overly chemically tenderized like in many Hong Kong style restaurants(the staff were Cantonese). Service is ok. They are always busy so you don’t get service much. The atmosphere could be better though. It feels cold most of the time, and the reverb in the restaurant is seriously loud especially when the place is full, it gets super noisy. Other than that it is a nice cafe, just a bit overpriced but most places are these days.

Their food exceeds my expectations. We had the pork belly and pulled pork. Both tastes amazing. The meat just melt in your mouth but flavor retains. Love the thick frothe of my caramel macchiato. Matcha latte is good as well. I think this going to be saturday go to for breakfast. Service was excellent too.

First time trying out this place and I was impressed! The staff are really friendly and they have a nice menu selection. I ended up getting all three of their sandos. The egg was probably my favorite but the other options were good too. Not too pricey either and you can eat inside or take it to go. They package the food well. I would definitely go back to try some of their other items!

I recently had breakfast at Sunset Grill and really enjoyed the food. The breakfast was delicious. The service was OK and the menu offered a nice variety of options. However, I do want to mention one area for improvement when we were seated the table had not been cleaned yet. A staff member came to clean it after we were registering and spray the cleaning solution which splashed onto our clothing it would be better if tables were cleaned before seating guest to avoid situations like that also, after wiping the table, it was quite wet, and the menu and utensils were placed directly on the wet table. Aside from that everything else was great and I really enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. I would definitely come back.

I love to have a great breakfast, and it's been hard to find a restaurant now a days that makes my pancakes thick & fluffy. I've been to a few Sunset Grills and they just can't get it right. Sunday May 8 2025 I visited the Sunset Grill located at 9730 Markham road located in Markham. I ordered three pancakes and I emphasized for them to be prepared "thick and fluffy" alongside some home fries and and a omelette. When the meal came, it looked like a photo from "Pintrest" , I was so pleased on how the presentation was and from the looks of the pancakes, I knew I finally was going to meet my satisfaction. The pancakes were perfect!!!!! the omelette was perfect!!!! and the home fries were cooked just right and not dried out! I am so happy and pleased with that meal that I had to share the experience. But most of all, I want to thank the cook named Kai! He is so welcoming and kind, because many times other locations never get it right, I wanted to speak directly with the cook, and he was awesome! The waiters give good service to , Mike who always gives warm greetings and is very respectful and also Moraine. Great Team! But awesome Cook! Keep up the good work Kai!

Went last month with my mom for brunch, and the portions were very good! The food itself has always been great (definitely get the cinnamon bun pancakes) but what was really amazing was the service! That particular morning we came in, it was pretty busy and I believe it was Crystal running the show that day, she just did an amazing job all on her own taking care of everyone so promptly and kindly, and deserves to be recognized for that! We will definitely be visiting again soon!

My family and I celebrated Father's Day at Sunset Grill for brunch, and despite a minor hiccup, it turned out to be a delightful experience. Initially, there was a small miscommunication with the seating arrangement, as others who arrived after us were seated first. However, when I raised this concern with the manager, Dominic, he handled the situation with utmost professionalism. Dominic promptly arranged for us to be seated at a larger table, ensuring we were comfortable and able to enjoy our meal without further delay. Our waiter, Tiger, provided excellent service throughout the meal. He was courteous and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. As for the food, it was as delicious as we've come to expect from Sunset Grill. The brunch options were plentiful, and each dish was prepared to perfection. Overall, despite the initial hiccup, the outstanding service from Dominic and Tiger, paired with the consistently delicious food, made our Father's Day brunch a memorable one. We look forward to returning to Sunset Grill for another enjoyable dining experience.

First and foremost, I need to say that my family and I have been coming here for years for breakfast. We always have a great experience, some issues here and there but mainly a fairly good experience. Today threw me over the edge which is why I feel like it’s necessary to write this review. My husband got eggs + turkey bacon, home fries and toast to which was served cold… a big pet peeve of his. Mine was also cold but I was super hungry so decided to just eat it. With the morning rush and servers being overloaded, we waited a while to have eye contact with our server to flag her down and politely ask if we could have another order that is hot. Frazzled, she immediately got the manager. The manager arrived and did not even greet us…. He started his sentence with “what’s the issue here” . My husband responds is it possible to get another order of this as it was served cold. The manager responds and says “it’s been awhile since your food was served, why did you wait so long to say something?” Proceeds to touch the food with his finger, make a face of confusion and leave the table. I think it is absolutely revolting for a “leader” specifically in management in a customer service based industry to even question a customer with that type of attitude. It is absolutely disrespectful and I am so disappointed. Definitely need some better training when it comes to client care.

Sunset Grill serves fresh, tasty dishes and hosts great service. This is one of the most reliable places to have breakfast in the area - you will always enjoy your time here!

They were busy and likely understaffed on a long weekend. They didn’t have a table for 5 open and had to convert a table for 4. It was cramped. When the table beside us opened up, we had to ask for them to move over an extra side table for us. They had two types of napkins. When we asked for extra, they gave us the cheaper kind. Not all tables were equipped with the basic condiments. We had to ask for black pepper shaker. However, when I tried to use it, the holes in the pepper shaker were stopped up so I had to shake it forcefully. Perhaps they were busy so the server seemed a bit out of it. When we asked for items, we had to confirm because we were unsure whether the server heard us or not. One member of our party stated that the latte was the worst latte she ever had. She found it so tasteless it would have been better to order regular coffee. The potatoes were soft and mushy, not crispy. The crepe was doughy and chewy. I felt like I was eating uncooked cookie dough. Positives They open early at 6am everyday except Sunday when they open at 7am. We weren’t rushed to evacuate the table. The servings were very generous. The member who had the pancakes was only able to finish half the pancakes. The bacon and eggs were perfectly done. They offer Canadian French’s ketchup. ———————————————————- For this price point, I expected more. I received a better experience at other places such as Sunset Grill.

Been here a few times, I believe it's under new management. Food was great, however the portion shrink like my bank account, bacon is so thin that you can see thru. As for the server, these people get pay minimum wage plus tip, can't afford anything, can't blame them, but it's part of the job at least put some effort to smile and attitude can be better, people don't owe you money, do better, that's why we are in Canada, right.

I was there before 8am for the early bird discount. The server was attentive to refill my coffee. Food came out fast. The only reason for 4 stars is the benches are way too close to the table and the music was a little bit loud + off vibe for 7:30 am.

The service was amazing! I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the iced tea because I thought it would be more of an iced tea vibe, but instead it was giving smoothie. But the waitress was really nice and accommodating so I was able to switch it out. The food was also good, and the portion sizes are very decent for the price!

I have been there few times. Most of the time, the food is quite good. I like their breakfast, especially the fresh fruits. The most recent visit was a bit disappointed as the French toasts were abit burnt. The potatoes were too greasy. Not sure if it was because we went in too early, we were the first customers of the day. Maybe the chef and the pan were ready yet 🤔

First time here, overall was good experience. The menus can be a bit confusing, but the staff are nice and would take the time to assist you. You may have to wait few minutes to be seated, depending on the time of the day. I think the attention to food esthetics cause some delay in getting your order, not long though. Chai L is very nice. The dishes are delicious too. My daughter loves it and she eats a whole egg and two bacons. She doesn’t want to eat any eggs at home😂.

Cute little brunch spot. Got their mushroom bacon udon and enjoyed it. There was so much bacon. Tasted like it was canned mushrooms though. Would have been perfect if they were fresh mushrooms. This little café is by far my favourite café I've experienced. A couple of days ago I visited Platform with my significant other. I really didn't know what to expect because we're spontaneous when we chose to go to local cafés and try them out. The host was generous and over all very nice. She spoke well and very welcoming. Which is what many places lack these days. Connecting with your client. We were told that there's a little bit of a wait but we had a bit of time to kill so we didn't mind. After they called me we were seated by one of the hostesses and sat down. They brought fresh water in cute glass mugs and gave us our space to chose the "yummyness" their menu had to offer. There were certain things I wasn't familiar with on the menu but the hostess was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly. We chose to get the hot Belgian chocolate beverage and an Americano. They served this in their own minimalistic but tasteful way. The cups were good to drink out of, clean, and they also served the milk in a cute little jar. Talk about attention to detail. Within 15 minutes of ordering breakfast/brunch it arrived. The presentation was good and the food was tasty. We had the waffle with eggs and salad (properly dressed) and the Avocado toast. The bread was perfectly made it was soft but toasted moderately. I could say more but my thumbs are kinda going through seizure mode. All in all, 6/5. Great experience. I'd recommend this place not only to coffee lovers, but to everyone who appreciates good food and drinks. Bravo.

This is my always to-go brunch place. We ordered avocado toast with scrambled egg and classic breakfast. The food are great and comfy environment. The classic breakfast better with chicken instead of bacon. The bacon is a bit dry. Highly recommend the hojicha latte but don’t order matcha latte.

Came here on Saturday just 15 minutes before closing to grab a coffee for my caffeine fix. The barista was friendly and even took the time to ask about my preferences for beans, milk, and sugar. I’ve always wanted to try this café, and I’m glad I finally did! I had their dark roast flat white — loved the aroma and taste. It had a nice chocolate note, bold but not bitter. I noticed lots of Social beans on their shelves, so I’m guessing that’s their main source. I’ll definitely be back to try the other food items on their menu!

I really love the atmosphere and aesthetic of this place! All the train references are very cute! The food here is delicious, I really recommend the french toast cubes!! I love open faced breakfasts and this place did not disappoint. Very large variety of coffees and tea drinks. Service was really pleasant and attentive. They were also polite and patient to my group when we accidentally got too loud. I'd love to come back and try their other food items.

Had a wonderful experience at Peter’s Fine Dining. The restaurant has a very classic, old-school charm with rich solid wood finishes that really give off a warm 1980s vibe. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional. Although we were the youngest couple in the restaurant, we were treated with the same respect and attentiveness as every other guest, which really stood out. As for the food, the Caesar salad was absolutely amazing—fresh, crisp, and perfectly dressed. The scallops were also very good, nicely cooked and full of flavour. Overall, a great dining experience. I would definitely recommend Peter’s to friends and family looking for a timeless, fine dining atmosphere with excellent service and food to match.

♡̷̷̷ Caesar Salad A really interesting tableside Caesar salad! They displayed all the ingredients before making it — and visibly poured a lot of olive oil (seriously, a lot 😂). Once the dressing was ready, they showed it to us before mixing everything together. The salad had a rich, bold flavor — very salty and savory. It might get a bit heavy by the end, but overall, it was a fun and unique Caesar salad experience that’s definitely worth trying once. When we were paying the bill, the server handed me a rose Not sure if they knew it was Chinese Valentine’s Day (Qixi), or if they always give flowers to female guests — but it was a sweet little surprise. I had only noted it was just a regular dinner when making the reservation, nothing special. The restaurant has a beautiful vintage vibe — really photogenic. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Loved it!

I can see why Peter’s has been around for so long. The first steak I have had out at a restaurant that I can say I was happy with. The service was great, all the staff were friendly, although maybe some inconsistent timing on approach but that is a minor problem, my waiter Peter was great created conversation but not too much which I appreciated. As for the space, some could say a bit dated but I liked it, really fits the atmosphere given the longevity of the restaurant. I look forward to coming back and enjoying the other offerings Peter’s has to give!

Been a loyal customer of Peter's for over 25+ years and there's good reason for that - they are consistently providing exceptional food, service and atmosphere. Steak, seafood are all A+ but the star is the Prime Rib and in my opinion the best in the GTA. Tableside Caesar salad is a must but if you're not feeling for it, go greens with their creamy garlic house dressing. Can't say enough about Peter's!

Excellent restaurant for a fine dining experience. The Caesar salad made fresh by your table, was quite scrumptious; Very fresh and flavourful. We also got the New York striploin steak and the jumbo Canadian sea scallops . The scallops came with a side of mash and we would have to say these are some of the most smoothest mash potatoes we have ever had . Felt like eating ice cream with the Perfect amount of seasoning. The steak and scallops were both delicious as well. Highly recommend.

We've lived in Markham for 42 years we had never been to Peter's restaurant. We were gifted a certificate for our anniversary from our daughter she said, you have to go there. She made the reservation for us. She mentioned it was our 52nd anniversary. The Best restaurant we've had privilege to experience. The owner Tom Colomvakos escorted us to our seats. Our waitress Toula and waiter Frank were very attentive. The food was delicious perfectly cooked. Generous portions I could take half my delicious salmon home for a dinner the next day. After our dinner, Toula brought us a delicious piece of chocolate cake with a candle complimentary to celebrate our anniversary. When we were leaving Tom gave me the most perfect long stem red rose. If you've never been to Peter's Fine Dining take the time to spoil yourself. It's and incredible experience, you will not be disappointed.

Okay. So to be fair we came here looking for an East Side Mario's. My wife and her friend were reliving school days. But it has been twenty years. This was here instead. Here where it gets interesting. My daughter has been picky all trip. She hasnt really wanted anything outside what we cooked. My wife and mother asked the waiter what he would recommend for her. He said the butter chicken. The young man was right. My daughter sat up when the dish came and just started to eat. She couldn't finish it but she enjoyed the valiant attempt.

Massive menu with weekend brunch, cocktails for a reasonable price, attentive friendly service! I had the chicken, Caesar wrap and sweet potato fries (upgrade) and my mum had fish and chips but opted for onion rings instead. The place was completely packed when we arrived just after 1 PM on a Saturday- we were shown to a table and chairs that had seen better days but still very comfortable. There are a lot of booths. Interior is kept clean but could use some love. Blow up images of Renaissance art. Very family, friendly and decent portions. It is on the loud side when busy. There is a patio out front overlooking the parking lot and Yonge Street. Our server was wonderful. Would return.

I’ve been here a few times for their fabulous desserts, so I decided to try their lunch menu. Since it was a cold day, the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The decor is homey and inviting, modern with a Mediterranean flair, and the leather-style bench seating is comfy. I started with the side Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, cold and a good size. For my main, I went with the Chicken Parmesan - it was titanic. The massive piece of breaded chicken was topped with ooey gooey melted mozzarella and paired with an enormous portion of fettuccine in a rich, savoury meat sauce. It included a funky piece of tasty, angular garlic bread. It took me quite a long time to demolish it. After the main course demo, I had the Fudge Brownie cheesecake for dessert: cool, smooth, sweet, dreamy, creamy texture, and a lovely chocolate sauce drizzle. I can see why it's one of their signature desserts. It paired well with coffee. The service from Dorsa was friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back. My only suggestion to the manager is to fix the front door which is not hinged properly and keeps closing with a loud bang. P.S. Don’t forget that from December 14, 2024, to February 15, 2025, restaurants won’t charge the 13% HST, so take advantage while you can!

I went here with my extended family and it didn’t disappoint! The service is quick and you place the order through a QR code provided at the table. Once you submit your order, it usually takes around 5 minutes to come out. Hot, fresh and delicious! We ordered plenty of food and all my family members were satisfied with what they got! Will go here again!

Quite disappointed with the service tonight dining on the right side where they serve HK café food Upon entering on a Sunday night, the hostess stand and wait area was crowded with lost patrons and one hostess running around The hostess acknowledged our need for a table for the cafe side but then forgot about us so we waited a while When we got to our (dirty) table, we were not offered any waters. We had to flag for service and ask for it. We ordered an assorted steak rice and egg, a Bolognese meat sauce spaghetti/ tomato sauce chicken rice, wings with fries and shrimp toast with fries. The food came really quick however, our first dish (the assorted steak) was fully missing the fried egg. We were not given any utensils upon having our dishes delivered. We worked with what was already on the table ... Which were 3 spoons and one plate. I'd expect any attentive server to realize that when you dropped off any of those dishes that we can't just eat with one spoon. We had to flag down the server a couple of times to get one fork, one more fork, one knife and 2 more plates .... And we had to tell the server were missing a whole fried egg as our first dish. The milk tea was also bland and watered down. Overall the food was ok but the service was definitely lacking tonight. Hopefully it was just a one off night for them.

Comfort food. Hk cafe ftw! Recently came out with an afternoon tea menu. Bogo 50% off. Once i told my mom, her and her friends keep going. Its such a good deal. Meanwhile im working during the afternoon tea specials. They have an all day menu (extend til pass 9pm) which i think the portions are HUGE!

Been there a few times and really enjoyed our meal there. Kind of HK fusion style food. All that we have ordered were tasty. There’s always a queue when we visit. But the wait ain’t too long. They are part of the Congee Queen group it seems.

Absolutely love this place! Came on a Saturday afternoon, they were very busy and had a queue. Waited around d 20 mins for a table for 2. The restaurant was spacious and had many tables. The service was great and prompt. The rice dishes were very generous in portions. Ended up packing home and was able to split into two more meals. The main dishes comes with a drink and you can get the drink cold without having to pay extra! We got the AAA black pepper beef rib rice and the BBQ pork rice. The ribs were so flavorful and the meat was tender. Only thing I didnt like was that they give a lot of sauce, I would ask for the sauce on side next time. The BBQ pork was tender and juicy. The sauce with the rice was perfect! Will definitely come back to try their other food and seafood boil!

So many comforting food options to choose from. Also a lot of classic drink choices available. Service was always prompt. And the manager was super friendly, as he helped sanitized our baby bottle for us with no hesitation.

Took my wife there for a different Valentine's Day experience and we had a wonderful time. Everything was tasty and elegantly placed on our plates, and the buffet dessert was truly the best possible way to end the evening. We were served by Raul, and his service was first class. Only downside was the atmosphere: we were seated next to a wall (and so did a few more couples) and we thought the overall placement of the tables can be arranged to make the dining area more "Hilton". It was still a fantastic evening and we are already thinking of the next occasion to dine there.

Very trendy restaurant , located inside of hilton , right in the heart of markham at warden and highway seven. Free parking if you sign up at the hotel lobby. Lots of menu, options and flexible menu.Sometimes they do buffet for larger parties and a very good sport for.Larger gatherings. Fast friendly service with management coordinating everything. Food came fast on time and they even have this robot that delivers food to your table. Sea Bass and calamari was excellent. We'll come back.

We came here for a holiday brunch. The dining room was on the side of the hotel lobby. You'd need to register your license plate with the host if you drive so that you don't need to pay for parking. The ambiance of the dining room was not bad. Live music was performed on that day. The buffet had cold crab legs, sushi, salads, cold cut and a number of hot dishes. They had an egg station and they made omelettes and fried eggs. The meat table had striplion roast, a pork roast and a turkey. The striplion was cold and not tender, pork roast was okay. Crab legs and other salad dishes were pretty good. Sausages and eggs were not bad. The desserts were the best. Orange juice and coffee were included. Service was excellent and our server was very friendly.

We have been here for an Easter brunch and for afternoon tea. The head chef Jitin has a great support team including Nikhil and has done an excellent job of offering really tasty dishes full of flavour and fresh ingredients. It is really a gem in Markham for specialty brunches and the afternoon tea. We have had Barbara and Muhammed as servers and they are so friendly and professional. Always attentive and helpful. Carlo is one of the managers and does a great job of circulating to ensure everyone is happy, hot water is topped up and all requests are met. For the Easter brunch there was an abundance of variety and even a cookie decorating area for kids. For the afternoon tea the scones and homemade jam were the best in the city and best we have had across the world! They are flaky, light and warmed perfectly. The sandwiches are plentiful and there is a choice of 4 out of 6 sandwiches which is a great idea. They sometimes have live music for the special events and although they have regular tables and chairs in a larger setting, they do an excellent job of making the tea time special like using Rosenthal bone china, loose leaf tea bags, and tiered trays. The prices are excellent too- most specialty buffets range from $70-$98 (kids are half) and the tea was $48. We had leftovers for the tea. There was even a cool robot that brought us our sandwiches! So much fun and quite an experience. There is free parking and it’s all wheelchair accessible. Such a great place to have north of the city.

The Hilton’s restaurant the Essence of Unionville was good for their breakfast brunch. If there were half stars I would do 3.5. At $26 a person the food was good but not amazing. It was your typical breakfast buffet. We did the buffet twice in our week’s stay but found cheaper and higher quality food within 5 kms of the hotel. The service was exceptional though. The wait staff and hotel staff were friendly and attentive. If you have a car look into some of the other options. But if you’re on foot and just want easy it is a good recommendation. Check out my other reviews for more suggestions.

Not even done eating and I have to leave this review. Paid $19 for waffles, had to remind the server for whipped cream, at which point I got a whole table spoon for a waffle the size of a small dinner plate. At 4 bites and spent the next 10 minutes waiting for the server to come back so I could ask for more. She never did, I had to go walk across the restaurant to get her. There are maybe 6 people in here right now with 2 servers and a porter. This is disgraceful for a Hilton property and for the prices charged.

We’ve been to brunch at Essence of Unionville many times and for the most part it is a great experience. The food layout is organized and attractive. Everything is kept clean and tidy around the buffet areas. There is something for everyone from seafood, salads, hot entrees (fish, chicken and roast beef) to breakfast with made to order eggs or omelettes. Finishing off with fruits and various desserts. Overall the food is delicious. Wait staff is attentive and accommodating. I would recommend brunch here on a Sunday to mellow out from a hectic weekend.

The omelette and eggs Benny breakfast for 2 people came up to $65 plus tip. The omelette was a steak and chicken omelette, the steak was really really tough. I would expect these places to tenderize and marinate the cheaper cuts of steak. The crab cake eggs benny were definitely the highlight of breakfast. But the crab cakes were over cooked in older oil. No real reason to come back for breakfast. In fact I will probably avoid this place.

This is a very old school diner with a very small space. I ordered a classic eggs benedict which came with 3 eggs on a english muffin with hand cut peameal bacon and some home made griddle cooked home fries. The hollandaise sauce was a bit disappointing as it was somewhat lumpy and overly thick and goopy. The taste also was also kind of bland. The english muffin also did not have the texture of a typical english muffin and felt more like a pancake feel, very soft and somewhat crumbly. All in all not what I expected of an eggs benedict.

GO! You won't be disappointed. Very friendly chef. Large servings, high quality ingredients and all food is made to order at reasonable prices. Clean bathroom too! Highly reccommend the beef brisket wrap and honey spicy chicken wrap. Diner style atmosphere is nothing special. But food is amazing.

The restaurant was pretty empty at 11am on a Saturday. We ordered a $17.99 western hash brown omelette with bacon that came with a pancake and $16.99 veggie omelette. The omelettes were great value because they were huge and packed with ingredients and tasted amazing as well. I found it odd that there was a piece of sausage with the western hash brown omelette when I chose the bacon option over the sausage option. The pancake was large and fluffy. I didn't like that the server offered different drinks right as we sat down and didn't even look at the menu for the prices yet. Otherwise, the service was solid. The interior wasn't nice like other brunch places, but that wasn't what ruined the atmosphere for me. What really put me off me was seeing a cockroach crawl down the wall and past our table. While seeing one might not suggest there is a serious issue, it raises concerns over cleanliness. My dad told me not to notify the server, but I think I should've done so. Overall, the restaurant has good food with great value (plus save the tax if you pay with cash), but I want to be assured that the restaurant is sanitary.

Went here for a Sunday brunch. We got the peameal benedict and the crab cake benedict. It comes with 3 poached eggs, instead of two. The chef / owner was really sweet. He made the potatoes a little bit spicier and flavorful. The crab cakes and peameals were really tasty. The hollandaise sauce could use some improvement, but overall the food was great !

In our quest to find a place to fill the void left behind by the Milliken Restaurant’s closing, we found this place. It comes pretty darn close. Good food, great portions, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices. They have a wide menu of items and I’m definitely going to try their prime rib dinner one of these nights. 100% will be back.

Best french fries in Markham!! Ram and the staff at Olde Village Bistro are always so friendly and work so hard. I got the BLT burrito, and it was very filling and the fries are absolutely delicious. Very crispy potatoes. Their breakfast catering is also very good. The food is amazing, and I will come back again. Support local!

Good family restaurant. Seems to be a popular place for the locals. Good service and good portions of food. I went there for the all day breakfast, had my usual scrambled eggs and bacon with a side of feta. It was good. For people with mobility issues, bathrooms are down stairs. I will definitely go back.

Got to try for yourself!! highly recommended! I love this restaurant and I can never finish their food by myself. So, If you’re looking for a casual brunch or dates with family and friends. This is for you! If you want fancy/Romantic atmosphere or ambiance for a date or so, this place might be for you.. this is a cozy and family friendly place. The menu are so much more than other breakfast/brunch places! There can be a bit of wait in the line during like 12pm noon but it’s not a long wait.

This is a classic neighborhood breakfast place. It gets packed during breakfast hours with regulars. Theres an early bird special on the first pic I posted. It's no fuss and straight to the point breakfast. The special pancakes (which I didn't order this time) is fancier. It's more like eating a fancy cake because of how much filling they stuff into the dish. It's a must try if you haven't been here and we usually take one home.

The Greek food was incredible highly recommend. I got the Benny but the hollandaise sauce was different- not like a traditional hollandaise and the peameal bacon was pork tenderloin sliced thinly and wasn’t cured. I would recommend skipping the Benny but the other breakfasts looked amazing and the prices are great! Benny 1/5 Calamari dish 5/5

After getting tired of eating “free” breakfast at our hotel, Eggsmart was the closest breakfast place to our Hotel. We were seated right away and our server was super friendly and attentive. We ordered coffee, Belgian waffle and Barbacoa hash. Food tasted pretty good and filling portions on the hash. Menu was extensive and had lots of options / proteins to chose from. I do wish they had some kind of flavored creamers. Other than that, good reasonably priced quick breakfast spot.

Food is pretty good. Drink is okay. Service is fine. Looks nice the indoor and outdoor environment. It was a noon time and a bit loud, though not many tables were occupied, as there was a group of over 10 people who were talking loud. Other than that, nice and comfortable. Make sure the hours are checked before going for a meal as breakfast is usually serve till 2 pm. Lunch or not, double check.

Another gem in the Markham area, not busy at the weekend (must make reservations and open for public ). The buger was moist and favoritful. Other food quality is above the standard. We also love the outdoors seating under the summer period. I also saw some tables come for celebration .I will come again before winter.

A nice place for brunch! I actually prefer ordering food here than Angus Glen’s seasonal buffet. I can see some of the buffet food comes from Silo’s kitchen. The food is good but would prefer a hotter latte being served.

Great food even on Christmas Day. Absolutely loved the service here. Siobhan was quick, super friendly, and made us feel so welcome. Her attention to detail and warm personality made our experience unforgettable.

The overall experience is good. They have good portion, and the quality is great. They have good service and the seating is not so crowded. Silo Ripeye Burger is cooked well, the fries is lightly coated and it is done well and crispy. The nachos is quite loaded with beef chili and other toppings, the tortilla is warm and crispy. There is a lot so it is definitely enough to share. we ordered the honey garlic wings is fresh hot and juicy, yet not too saucy. Drunken mussel is mild spicy, but it could be too spicy for someone who can't tolerate any spiciness. Seafood Linguine has plenty of mussel, shrimps. The only thing I would not recommend is the chicken strip. The coating is way too thick and way too hard, your teeth and jaw definitely need to be strong enough to bite into. Some parts of the coating is so hard that it almost like almond.

We had an unforgettable family dinner at Silo restaurant as a family of four, and it exceeded all our expectations. The menu offered a diverse selection of delicious dishes, ensuring there was something for everyone. Our kids especially loved the dedicated kids' menu, which featured tasty and healthy options. Each dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service. A special thank you to Manager Mando, who visited every table to check on the guests. His warm and attentive approach made us feel truly valued and enhanced our dining experience. From the excellent food to the top-notch service, our evening at Silo was delightful. We highly recommend Silo to anyone looking for a great family-friendly dining experience with outstanding food and impeccable service. We will definitely be returning!

A beautiful place to have dinner with a bunch of people whom you love. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, allowing you to enjoy some drinks under the phenomenal sunset. Even though it doesn’t offer a large menu with several selections, the food was so good and tasty. I appreciate the service provided by Lau and Malinda. Overall it is a great dining experience.

Portions were great and I was quite full and could barely finish. A friend said they weren't too hungry but after eating the mushroom pasta was quite hungry (so a bit less filling). Drinks were well made and a nice cool temperture. Water was filled constantly and the waitress was quite soft spoken but sweet. The rice is flavored and not white rice which was an interesting suprise.

We came on a Sunday around 11:30 and all the We ordered a black sesame latte and cheesecake Hojicha latte with oat milk. They were both good and unique flavors. Though the pictures and menu say iced, you can request to have it warm. It was pretty busy for a Sunday late afternoon. Workers were nice. This is a place where you order and grab your drink to go. Close to a parking garage. And you need to take some steps down. tables were full. We were able to order some pastries and drinks to go. All the pastries were room temperature (not sure if we were able to ask them to warm it up). We ordered the chocolate pineapple bun. The lattice structure in the outside had a nice crunch. It was supposed to be filled with chocolate, but there was only a little bit of chocolate. The garlic bun had a good garlic and sweet flavor. But I wished the bread was more soft. The matcha mouse bun had a nice and airy mouse that wasn’t very sweet. But I also wished the bread part was softer. The matcha latte was not bad. It tastes like typical matcha lattes at other bakeries. The Hong Kong milk tea was very fragrant. Taste was fine. The person who took our order was very nice. Parking was very close.

Went here after work and was still pretty busy. All the baked goods were sold out (not surprised) but got to try a bunch of apps and drinks. Egg sandos were pretty good. Only let down was the tofu, nothing special there. Favourite was the Brussels sprouts and the iced crème brûlée latte!

Very disappointing underseasoned omurice, overcooked fried items, and sour-tasting steak I was really looking forward to trying Shan Shan’s Omurice but left extremely disappointed. The omurice was half-cooked a lot of plain white grains left un-fried and the fried rice component had almost no seasoning or salt, so the whole dish tasted bland and unfinished. The outer omelette seemed to be cooked in a too-cool pan and had a noticeable eggy/uncooked smell. The fried items were overcooked and rock-hard, making it impossible to taste what they were supposed to be. Worst of all, the steak had a sour, off taste it seemed like the meat had been poorly handled (possibly repeated freeze–thaw or chemical tenderizer) and was not fresh. Service was polite but this felt like inconsistent kitchen standards rather than a one-off mistake. For the price and the hype, this was unacceptable. I won’t be returning until they fix basic seasoning, frying technique, and food handling.

I made a reservation for opening on a weekend and there were some empty other tables. But sometimes I am unable to make reservations for opening so I am not sure about walking in. The food was pretty good but the chicken in the creamy chicken udon was quite dry. Atmosphere is nice, it is bright with the large windows and it is not too loud of bustling.

Found this little gem online when looking for a place to meet a friend for lunch in the area. No idea what to expect, and it certainly did not disappoint! From the minute you walked in to a bright and inviting atmosphere, welcoming staff and a gorgeous display of pastries. Wow! Everything on the menu was appealing and it was hard to decide (especially seeing other plates at other tables). Our meals were fantastic, flavourful, attractively plated, good portion size and super fresh tasting. The drinks were unique and absolutely delicious. All we kept talking about was when we would come back again. It was truly a memorable experience.

ATTENTION: WORSE + PRICE NOT MATCHING We ordered the rib eye beef omelette rice because the photo looks pretty good on google review… Turns out the food quality is bad and with the price $27.99, I would say I’m very disappointed. 1. Curry is tasteless and very watery 2. Beef is tough and bloody juice on the egg, this is kinda disgusting 3. Soy rice instead of white rice, as omelette rice this is weird We also ordered a latte and creme brûlée latte both of them are pretty good, no complaints. However the omelette rice really ruined my day.

The atmosphere is warm, spacious, and beautifully designed. Food-wise, everything was plated so nicely and tasted just as good as it looked. The fried chicken was super crispy, the pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the eggs benedict came with the perfect gooey yolk. Wow, how can I even start this review. I had the pleasure of visiting Glass Kitchen on a Sunday afternoon and was absolutely blown away. The food was impeccable, my tastebuds never experienced anything like this before. And the creativity within each dish was out of this world. The head chef, Kiko Suardana is truly one of the best when it comes to cuisine. It's incredible how he's able to plate and present the ideas in his head onto the plate which he serves. And the service here is truly outstanding, I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I will absolutely be back here again.

We always have a wonderful experience at GK. Their new all day menu has an abundance of choices for whatever you’re craving with lots of pictures and tasty drinks. I had the salad bowl with grains, which had a unique citrus and ginger taste. Our portions were pretty big and the mussels and biscoff pancakes were our favourite. All of the staff were super friendly and we loved the music. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, Glass Kitchen is a must try!!

We had a lovely ladies’ lunch at Glass Kitchen and it was perfect from start to finish. The space feels bright and stylish—great for catching up—and the staff were warm and attentive without rushing us. Our dishes were fresh, beautifully presented, and surprisingly flavorful for a midday menu (special shoutout to the salads and small plates—perfect for sharing). Cocktails and coffees were spot on, too. It’s the kind of place you linger at and leave smiling. We’ll definitely be back for another girls’ lunch!

This was my third time dining at Glass Kitchen because yes, it really isss that good! The food was an easy 10/10 and the photos speak for itself, every bite was delicious. The atmosphere was another 10/10, it was giving cozy yet lively. And the service… 100/10! My server, Joni, was amazing, so friendly, attentive, and genuinely made me feel welcome from start to finish. She even checked in at just the right times and gave us amazing recommendations! I’m still thinkin about that Baked Alaska…so GOOD!!!

There was a bit of a wait for the table, and the drinks took a little while to arrive since there was only one person behind the bar. The food was okay — the menu photos made everything look amazing, but the flavours didn’t quite match our expectations. That said, it was still a good experience overall, and I’d like to come back to try a few other dishes next time to see if they’re better.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! I had the Lobster Benedict and my husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros, both were out-of-this-world delicious. The lobster came in huge, juicy chunks and every bite was packed with flavor. The potatoes were perfectly crispy, the kind you dream about later! We also tried the GK Coffee with condensed milk, and it was the perfect sweet and creamy touch to round out our meal. Every aspect of our visit was a 10/10. The ambiance, the timeliness, the friendliness, and the overall service were all spot on. A special shoutout to our server Christian, who was incredibly kind and attentive. He made the whole experience even better. We can’t recommend this place enough. Everything hit 100%! We’ll definitely be back soon.

Good place for a straightforward diner type experience. We had brunch here for a celebration and we very much appreciated that there was no line up or wait time. Service was good and they would always check on us. We had a couple of dishes but the notables were the chicken and waffle, the steak and fries, and the French toast. Homefries were delicious too and crispy! Definitely coming back here.

We've been here a few times in the past. The prices are very fair with a decent amount of food, so good value. My nitpick is that their poutine is with cheese strings (?) and not curd, but otherwise the food was good. The place is bright and clean. Tables are spaced out and don't feel cramped. They've got a few TVs in there all playing CP24, so a good place to catch up on what's happening in Toronto while you have breakfast/brunch/lunch.

We have ordered breakfast here numerous times. The breakfast special is the best bang for your buck, but honestly everything there is a good bang for your buck. Wide variety of different options from breakfast to dinner menu. The breakfast is always hot and fresh and great portion sizes. Love this place!

After reading many good reviews, I came here for dinner in a group of 6. Four of us ordered the 8oz steak, with soup or side salad, and ice cream. The price was quite reasonable. Unfortunately, after cutting away fat and tendon, I was left with just 70% of my original piece of steak. Other folks did not have the same issue though. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Overall not a bad dining experience.

We've been here a few times, we went back after 5 years this time and they have renovated the restaurant which is nice. The service was excellent, although there was only one server, and she still made an attempt to check on us every now and then. She was very friendly and helpful! The food was OK and presentation is fine for the price we are paying. The steak was too rubbery and tough, it was difficult to chew. The Cajun fries & chicken wings were good. The price was cheap if you go for late night meals after 10pm. The best part is, the restaurant is 24 hours and we can find something to eat late night if we get hungry. Their waffles looked good, we'd like to try that next time. In conclusion, we'll definitely be back, but probably only during late nights!

Wasn’t the best service. Needs some upgrading/cleaning. My booth seats were dirty and peeling a lot. Food wasn’t bad; thought they didn’t put enough home fries (came off stingy), food came out really fast which was great.

When I first stepped in, the looks and overall atmosphere was nice, a cafe type look. It took some time for us to be seated since there was a lot of people. We ordered through the QR code. It did take a while actually since well there was a lot of people. My main dishes were the fish and chips and the soufflé. The fish came, it was a little bland but crispy. The fries were really thin cut potato slices but it didn’t taste like potato. The soufflé was good though, soft and sweet. With the additional chocolate sauce, it was even better. Solid 8.5/10. Since my parents ordered stuff too, I tried them. The green sauce pasted with shrimp was not good, of course thats to MY taste of choice. I had to spit it out, it was truly horrendous. The soft shell crab BTL or BLT sandwich was alright. The crab was good and the potatoes were a nice touch. Over all, I would NOT be coming here again. If you’re into fusion foods, I recommend coming here for brunch. (P.S DONT BRING KIDS HERE, the food is not fit for them.)

Really cozy and comfortable place. We tried the Soft Shell Crab Carbonara — a bit on the salty side, but still tasty. The Short Rib Sandwich was super flavorful and delicious! Sea Salt Cream Iced Coffee - tasteless Flat White - normal Overall, a lovely spot to relax and enjoy a nice meal.

Wow! This place really took me by surprise! You're getting Master Chef quality dishes without having to drive all the way downtown and for less than $100 for 2 people! I know what you're thinking...really tasty food equals small portions. Believe me, that exact same thought crossed my mind when our dishes came out. The dishes look small but they're heavy and filling! I eat more than most people and I left there feeling pretty full. I didn't need to go to McDonald's afterwards and I didn't feel ripped off either. We ordered 2 drinks, 2 main dishes and 1 dessert. We ordered: Softshell Crab Carbonara, Bon Bon Char Sui Bao and Chocolate Souffle Pancakes. For drinks we had: Iced Caramel Macchiato and Hot Tiramisu Donut. I can't comment on the other dishes but again, the 2 of us left feeling really full after. Everything, including the drinks all look amazing and taste just as good as they look! Incredible attention to detail and everything is made fresh. You can see the chef is very passionate about what he does. They're located at Times Square in Richmond Hill outside the main mall with plenty of free parking available. This is truly Master Chef level cooking that you see on TV and can usually only get from downtown Toronto but without having to go downtown. Definitely worth visiting!

Stumbled upon this cafe while staying at a hotel nearby. Their food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxed and clean. I highly recommend the creamy seafood corn soup and pistachio chocolate croffle a la Dubai. 10/10

It's a very busy restaurant. I went to lunch on the weekend without a reservation, but I was still able to sit at the bar. It took some time because there were so many people, but the food was fine. But the staff's service attitude wasn't very friendly.

The Creamy Seafood Corn Soup was awesome. It was a flavourful and creamy soup. Would definitely recommend if craving a good corn soup. — July 7, 2025: 2nd visit 4/5 stars The food at Cafe Bon Bon was delicious as usual. The Herb Crusted Seabass was good. The seabass was perfectly cooked. However, the star of this dish was what was underneath the seabass. The crispy quinoa salsa, raisin, fresh pomegranate, brown butter pecans, red dice onions, cucumber and house made vinaigrette dressing was awesome. This combo of ingredients harmonized to give a really good and unique flavour profile and texture. The 48 Hour Short Rib Donburi was awesome. The meat is so tender and packed with umami. A classic dish at Cafe Bon Bon. The Crispy Chicken Wings with their soy, garlic, ginger and honey sauce were good. The chicken wings were crispy and delicious. Heads up, they add in Tabasco sauce to the wings for a bit of spice. Would have been nice if this was mentioned earlier. — Nov 9, 2024: 1st visit 5/5 stars Food and drinks were good at Cafe Bon Bon. Our favourite go to dish is the 48 Hour Short Rib Donburi. The meat is so tender, flavourful and goes well with the rice and veggies. The Beef Stroganoff Omurice was good. The beef cheeks were soft and goes well with the stroganoff sauce. The omurice (omelette and rice underneath) was perfectly made and delicious. The iced golden ratio (jasmine tea, fresh lime, and housemade brown sugar syrup) was awesome. A great refreshing drink. Would definitely recommend. The Sea Salt Cream Iced Coffee was good. Iced coffee was smooth and not acidic. The sea salt cream didn’t add much to the ice coffee.

Very disappointing experience. I went to this restaurant today and was really disappointed. The food was too salty, and after the meal, I even had stomach pain and diarrhoea. There was no service at all — no one came to check on us or even refill the water. On top of that, the preset 15% tip was too high given the poor service. The experience was totally not worth it. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Another one of those stay-light-before-the-movie meals, and we decided to check out Kore Chicken nearby. We went for the lunch special and tried Original, Soy Garlic, and Spicy Butter Chicken, with fries tossed in Honey Butter seasoning for one of the sets. I had no idea what to expect walking in, and was honestly surprised to learn they use air fryers here. Now, taste-wise, let's be real. I’ve had better fried chicken elsewhere and yes, there are spots that push a bit more in quality. But here's the catch: at this price point, it’s rather impossible to complain. Sure, the sauce toss was lazy, and a few bites were a bit on the funky-smelling side, but it all somehow landed within the range of “worth it.” Fries were a lot crispier than expected, and so was the batter. Air fried or not, the texture really surprised me. It’s weirdly satisfying. Getting into the place was also a bit awkward for a first-timer, but I’ll chalk that up to the building’s layout, not the restaurant’s fault. Overall, it’s one of those spots that feels like a random find, and turns out a lot better than you gave it credit for at first. No complaints here, and honestly hope they stick around. I wouldn’t mind coming back when craving something easy and affordable that still hits the spot!

This hidden gem was so good, the lady was the sweetest and made me feel right at home, chicken was AIR fried to the have the perfect crunch and maintain the juiciness of the chicken. We got the honey butter and the Spicy Korean Specialty Sauce. No need for any more word this picture should tell you enough how good it was (so good forgot to take a before 😅) not to mention it’s halal for the Muslims :)

This place definitely feels like an ‘if you know you know’ kind of place. Tucked in the lower parking garage of Langham Square, this fried chicken restaurant is unique in the fact that they use an air fryer for their fried chicken. Their chicken and fries are pretty good. The owners are really nice & their restaurant feels very homey & is very clean. The keep the outer door closed, so you have to enter through the parking garage entrance. They offer lunch specials & are also on ubereats for those who just need a quick pick up!

Tried Kore for the first time because it said it air fried its chicken, but unfortunately it is a bit misleading because the chicken is deep fried first, and then air fried(confirmed by owner), so if you think it is a healthier option it isn’t completely. The owner is nice and honest at least, there is no deep frying equipment on site so the deep fried chicken might be frozen and air fried on order. I love Korean fried chicken but this one is too dry inside. It’s not terrible but doesn’t compare to the typical Korean fried chicken.

I tried the Korean seasoned chicken here and it was excellent — crisp on the outside, and packed with flavour on the inside. The space itself was also really nice — clean, bright, and comfortable, which made it a great place to sit down and enjoy the meal. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for good Korean fried chicken.

We ordered the Stae bagel, Poké Toast and Chili Avo Toast for lunch, they all taste great. I especially love the Chili Avo Toast, the chili oil not too spicy but with great favours, very special. The cappuccino tastes great too, just one thing about the cup, the cup has no ear, so it was a bit hard to pick up the cup when it’s still hot.

Always seen how packed this place is. Finally got to try it out to see what the hype was all about. and I was not disappointed. My cappuccino was amazing, not sure what beans they used but it was good. The iced matcha lattes were really rich and tasty. Matcha cookies were scrumptious. and finally my smoked salmon bagel was so fulfilling and satisfying for a light early noon bite.

I went here today with a friend for brunch at 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday. Very nice shop decor and atmosphere. However it was a little bit crowded (but probably due to the weekend and the time we showed up). I ordered a hot Spanish latte, which was probably the best thing I've drank in years. Barista also made a very nice latte art which I thought was very considerate. I also ordered a Stae bagel which was super fresh and the chili flakes they put on didn't overpower any of the taste. I highly recommend this place to grab a quick drink or a bite, but I would suggest going there early in the morning to guarantee yourself a table.

I stopped into this cafe this morning while traveling for work (I do not live in the area). Both americanos I had were incredible, the beans truly different and unique. The food was also to die for! All that being said, the really incredible part was the community atmosphere. It was clear that there was a lot of regulars, and even people that didn’t know each other were assisting with helping little kids get seated etc. Truly a wonderful spot and I will come back if I’m ever in the area again :)

Great place to grab a quick coffee after a workout class, or to study for a bit. The seating is limited, 75 min limit when it’s busy. The lattes are great, smooth and not bitter. Staff are amazing as well. Parking is limited so keep that in mind!

There aren't a lot of food options to choose from, but I think the price is decent and the food is okay. Service is poor though, you don't get coffee or juice refills unless you ask for it. The worst part is, when you see the food plate is pretty much empty and you ask the server FACE TO FACE for a refill, he just pretends that he didn't hear you, not even care to respond or acknowledge your request!

Great value brunch tea set served up inside Richmond Hill's Sheraton Parkway Hotel. Each tea set came with a mimosa, coffee or tea, house salad, selection of pastries, selection of mini cake slices and a main breakfast entree of your choice. All for $30. Everything tasted good. Cake slices could be more appealing. Pastries didn't look appealing, but it actually tasty great as it's crunchy and flaky. Main breakfast entrees were good, tater tots were good but a bit salty due to the added shredded parmesan cheese. Service was average, wait staff does refill coffee and hot water for your tea. Decor is up to date. Washrooms are located outside the restaurant area and behind Starbucks, so it's a bit of a walk. Ambiance is OK, no background music is played, so you can have decent conversations with your table mates. Diningware is clean and spotless. Overall, it's a good dining experience for the money spent.

A cozy and warm dining experience at the Crave Restaurant. Located in the lobby level of the Sheraton Hotel, this place has a calming atmosphere and the decor is quite amazing. The service at the restaurant is top-notch, the menu options are amazing with offerings ranging from a Brisket Sandwich to a Sirloin steak.. With plenty of burgers, salads and a Buddha bowl. Crave also offers a Chickpea-Cauliflower Coconut Curry along with several other vegetarian and vegan options to satisfy a wide range of palates.

We were looking for a place for our university reunion where we can chit chat non-stop for a long time with little interruptions and we are happy we have picked Crave inside Sheraton for this occasion. We are here for the a la carte menu on family day Monday as a group of 5. It took some time for food to be prepared but that does not bother us because we needed the time to chat. Our server came at appropriate times to check on us but otherwise let us sit and chat for as long as we wish. Dishes are prepared fresh to order and all very appetizing as indicated by our empty plates. Price wise we think it is great value for money as we are inside a hotel comfortably sitting and don’t have to rush to give our table to the next round of customers. That said, I will not consider coming if you are in a hurry - there are plenty of other choices in the area if you need to just grab and go. This is a place to slow down, enjoy the surrounding and have a fun time with important people who happens to be joining you. Have a great meal!

Roasted Hip of Beef Carving Station is the best! Belgian waffles and Baked ham are surprisingly good! Roasted Lamb Shoulder and crème brûlée are good. Lots of seasonal fruits and great variety! Excellent dinning experience inside the Grand York Ballroom! Great place to celebrate Christmas with family and friends! Nice service and friendly staff! The CHRISTMAS DAY BRUNCH BUFFET will be perfect if they don’t use folding tables!

Bad service and horrible breakfast buffet. We were handed our bill while we were in the middle of having our breakfast. The food was tasteless with no variety. Half of the platters were empty. There was no staff paying attention to coffee or juice refills. The dirty plates were never picked up and we had to ask the server to clean our table. The service plates that were kept for customers to pick up were dirty. THIS PLACE NEEDS MORE STAFF AND A BETTER MANAGEMENT.

Christmas lunch was excellent. Good variety of selection, from seafood to meat. All you can eat lobster was decent, but was slightly overcooked. Dining hall needed more waiters, but considering today was Christmas you can't expect much. Christmas decorations around the dining hall provided a nice photo shoot with family. Ninety minute time limit per table, so come starving to eat your fill as fast as possible.

Went there for the first time as a visitor, and was impressed by the service and the atmosphere. Fun cozy place, with lots of room and fun design. I was there for breakfast, cause it was 8am, and it was good, but I’d be willing to go again try something else. Lots of fun decor that you’ll see and lots of booths which I love to tables. Makes the diner feel like one.

I recently visited Wimpy’s for breakfast, and while the food was okay, the service left much to be desired. Our waitress, an older lady, unfortunately, didn’t make us feel welcome from the start. She didn’t greet us with any warmth and seemed uninterested in providing a pleasant experience. This really stood out because the other waitress, a middle-aged lady, was the complete opposite—she was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about the customers’ satisfaction. It felt like our waitress might have been having an off day, but even so, when you're spending money on breakfast, you expect a certain level of courtesy and attention. Good service can really set the tone for a meal, and unfortunately, our experience was dampened by the lack of engagement. Breakfast is meant to be a relaxing and enjoyable start to your day, but this experience didn’t quite hit that mark. It’s a shame because a little friendliness and care would’ve gone a long way in making this a much more pleasant visit.

Been here a few times with my family. Food is good. Want to give a big shout out to our server, Leanne! She's fantastic! Always friendly and gives quick service with a smile. Makes sure we are happy with our meal, if we're not happy, she's quick to make it right. I really appreciate how she always talks to my elderly parents and makes sure they're ok. This is one of the most fun and lively diner chains in the heart of Thornhill. The food here is absolutely fantastic. I ordered the turkey club sandwich, which was hearty and delicious. The portion of fries is beyond massive and was served nice and hot. Despite having a hearty appetite, I could barely finish the meal because it was so large. The staff are friendly and attentive. The decor is 50s-inspired with a Marvel theme. It's a great place to go if you're hungry!

It was on Wednesday brunch but our group 4ppl wait for so long to be taking to the table. Only one server working at that time. A lot of ppl couldn’t wait since the server already too busy to get more ppl in so they just left. The food is ok not that special to recommend! Wait for 15mins for the food and My toast they even forgot it and when bring out it is all burnt. So annoying that I take my guests here to have brunch with good mood and when we left we all feel so disappointed with the food and service here! This business owner need to schedule ppl properly because after we finish the meal and a lot of table done around 1pm then another server come in and work.

This morning I cleaned the windows, sign and awnings at this location and I decided to have breakfast after my job was completed. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. The portion size was very good and I enjoyed my coffee. It was certainly a good way to start my day. I will be coming back.👍

It's a nice breakfast spot. It's their specialty and the food comes out quick and hot. The eggs are real as opposed to the Pan Pacific hotel (where we stayed) across the street where they used powdered eggs for their scrambled eggs in the breakfast buffet.

Nice eggs Benny, and they upgraded the fruit that comes with the meal. Usually breakfast spots throw you some old melon pieces and a strawberry if you're lucky. But as you can see in the pic there is a considerable amount of fruit included with the meal which was refreshing.

Terrible experience. I didn’t want to share this experience and affect their business as we go there all the time and it is our neighborhood breakfast place. We are a regular there. But today, what happened and how the server handled it was absolutely disgusting and terrible customer service. I saw a cockroach at our table and I told the server quietly as I didn’t want to ruin their reputation in front of others. I even told her I don’t want to make a scene in front of other customers. What she said was, I can move you to another table and I said no I can’t eat here anymore… and she just came right back with the machine and bill to get paid. No apology and instead of handling the situation she just proceed to get paid for the food we could not finish eating. We had our plates still full, just ordered fresh coffee. Wanted to enjoy my toast with butter and jam and I also paid extra for fruits that I couldn’t even eat them. My husband didn’t say anything and paid the bill and even added tip but come on …. What kind of customer service is that specially with a regular customer who they know our order by heart, that’s how often we go there. Never going back ever again.

The service is excellent but the place is a bit dark inside. Food is good for the price (very reasonable). The Friday special Fish and Chips for about $16 is good. However the clam chowder is quite bad and salty. Pasta is good but the strawberry drink is too sweet.

I had a wonderful experience at Symposium Cafe Markham. The manager, Dilshan, is outstanding – so friendly and professional, and he takes care of every customer with a smile. The food is excellent, especially the seafood pasta and fish & chips, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Dilshan makes sure everything runs smoothly and every guest feels special. Great food, great service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend this place!

This was the second time that I have been to this establishment as I accompanied my friends there. Each time that I had been there I was very disappointed with the service. The female servers do not take any initiative to make the customers feel welcome at all. But I have to admit that this evening I had Numan as my server I have to compliment him for his efforts. He was absolutely brilliant. Fast friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Due to many a health issues my friend couldn’t eat the food as she has a gluten, dairy and other allergies . We had to send him to the kitchen many times to ask what was in the dish. But he was very polite and had no problem with getting us what we needed before we could order the meal. Thank you very much for your great service Mr.Numan. You have 5 plus stars in our book. Cheers!

Sunday night, they advertise 2/1 desserts if you buy alcohol. Server was not good from the moment we began. Constantly went to someone else to get answers for questions we asked. After we got our food they asked if we wanted more drinks then next asked if they could bring us our bills at 11:35 without asking if we'd like dessert. So we said we'd like dessert please. Server wandered off and came back telling us our request was DENIED! Told last call is at 11:30! Seriously? Server ignored us from 11:15 until they asked to bring us our bills! Seemed planned to us! All we wanted was the ice cream Sundays. Not alcohol. Not something cooked. We weren't the only folks in the restaurant either! How can you refuse to serve desserts especially when you have a special? Restaurant closes at 12 yes, but we sat with no food or service for 20min. So we left! The pasta was flavourless, the chicken parm sandwiches were dry and sauceless, the burger was like wet mushy meatloaf...horrible experience for our entire group!

Missing food when arriving at the table along with the orders not showing up even close to the same time so food got cold. My chowder tasted microwaved and the salmon salad was underwhelming for $25. The salmon was actually pretty good but why not add avacado? The vegetables were very meh. My partner's smoked salmon tasted old to her. Honestly, if you want symposium...go to a different one. Also very overpriced, who is gonna pay $5 for a small glass of orange juice? On the bright side, the restaurant is clean and has a good vibe and the server was nice, but the restaurant is not accommodating.

Perfect French toast, soft and fresh. We also had a Mediterranean omelet and it was filling and tasty. Cute diner ambiance with good service. Order took longer to arrive at the table but did not disappoint after arriving

We have gone to the Ajax location for over 29 years with our family and other friends. The staff at this location stay, and some of them are still there from our first seating over 20 years ago, and still recognize & welcome us! Great food, excellent service, and friendly family atmosphere

This is my last big breakfast (or brunch) here in Toronto for this visit before I head back to Manila! And I was not disappointed as the crab cakes benedict I had is something I will be thinking of for quite some time! Service is excellent!

The staff here are very kind and you will be well looked after. The food is good and ample although expensive for what it is. I took my son for breakfast and it was $54:00 before the tip. He had an omelette meal with peameal and I had avocado toast with salmon. (One piece).

Everything about this place is wonderful! The staff are amazing hard working friendly people. I have been coming here for over 10years and now we don’t live in Ajax, we come all the way from bowmanville to have breakfast here. This breakfast place is still one that shows true customer service and great food. So yummy

I love sunset grill. They have one of the best, if not the best salmon eggs Benedict (one of the only places that gives 3 eggs with their Benny too). Their pancakes are great, sausages are yummy! No complaints at all.

Hearty breakfast for one! The home fries are done the proper way, not deep fried potatoes. T & T is a small mom and pop shop that serves wholesome meals and baked goods. Menu is limited compared to other places, daily specials are pretty good. Cash only.

A cafe with a sense of long history and story telling. The portion is large and very spacious. Quiche and coffee is delicious. They are famous for their all day breakfast, pastry and pancakes. The staff are extremely friendly and nice. It feels like home.

This was amazing, the food was crafted with care and it tasted homemade, the dough felt soft, flavoured and enjoyable. The bread crust was perfect, crunchy yet not hard to the mouth. the service was also amazing, I got my food quick, it was nice and warm, a perfect temperature, the staff was super nice, and they did their job GREATLY. The Atmosphere was also great, the smell of the bakery was really nice, it felt warm but not a sweaty warm, just nice. 10/10 would come again

This is one of the few established family businesses that have provided good service and very good food quality to our community for many years. Well known for their excellent breakfast menu, the plentiful portions arrive at your table fresh and tasty. The ambiance is quaint and offers some historical photos of the village from the past. We’ve been living in this neighbourhood for a long time, and have always been been curious about about this bakery. We always see people sitting outside on the sidewalk for breakfast and lunch, and it always looks busy inside. Today we decided to ride our bikes here and finally check it out. It did not disappoint! We had a croissant breakfast sandwich and their blueberry pancakes with bacon. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional: friendly, and very attentive. We will definately be coming back!

It's been many years since I've last been to Duo, but it's still as good and clean and refreshing inside. We got the Claire and Virgo, as they were one of the few without nuts and whose flavours appealed to me. Both were tasty and i loved the apple pieces in Claire. The Virgo had a strong coffee flavour that was too much for me but people who drink coffee would appreciate. Definitely will be back to try other pastries but i am a bit disappointed that almost all their products have nuts in it, so I can really only try a few things. Otherwise great experience!

I tried the mango cake and a box of chocolates here and both were really good. The mango cake was definitely my favorite as the fruit tasted super fresh, the cream was light and smooth, and it was not overly sweet. You can tell they use good ingredients. The chocolates were also excellent with a nice variety of flavors and a rich clean finish. The café itself has a really cozy and relaxing vibe. It is the kind of place you can easily spend an afternoon chatting with friends or just enjoying a quiet coffee break. Everything is nicely presented and the staff are friendly too. Prices are a bit on the higher side for the portion sizes but the quality makes up for it. Overall a great spot for dessert and coffee if you want to treat yourself or catch up with friends in a chill atmosphere.

Absolutely loved this place! The moment I walked in, I knew I was in dessert heaven. The display cases are filled with the most elegant and mouthwatering pastries and chocolates — it was almost impossible to choose. I ended up trying a few of the pastries and grabbed a cake that looked too good to pass up. The space is a bit small but clean, and welcoming, with a calm atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. I also appreciated the unique selection of beautifully packaged treats. The staff were super helpful and patient, even with a line forming. It’s clear that everything is made with love and precision. This is definitely one of those places you tell your friends about. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

This is basically heaven for a sweet lover. First time going here and I didn't want to leave!! They have a wide assortment of baked goods and cakes and treats. The store is clean and well organized. I love how they have an assortment of individually wrapped treats that you can load up into a basket to buy. Everything is worth trying. I did not regret any of my choices. This is definitely a place I would visit every weekend because they have so many items to try! A must visit!!

A friend got us delicious treats from Duo on a few different occasions and their baked goods and the assorted pastries are decadent and delicious!! Love the flavour combos in the treats like mango cheesecake, raspberry and chocolate, and pistachio, and the fig Danish. Their croissants are fresh too.

Beautiful cafe with a variety of desserts and pastries. I went with the matcha canelé. The outside was crunchy, inside spongy, and had a nice strong matcha flavor. The honey oat latte was delicious as well. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy, making it pretty loud and difficult to hear the person talking in front of you.

Duo has to be my favourite Pâtisserie. They always have a great selection savoury and sweet. Must try has to be the 8 pastry is has delicious custard. Their items are always fresh. If you buy 6 items it will be tax free. 😊

I am very disappointed with the service I received today at McDonald's store #11787. The store was not overly busy but very disorganized. With over 6 people on shift I had to wait 15 minutes for my food . I was in a rush and I didn't check my order . I ordered the Creamy Permesian & Bacon Quarter pounder combo . I tried a few fries as i got on the car and they were cold but as I was in a rush I didn't go back . Once I got to work and opened the burger they had placed a grilled chicken instead of the beef pattie. I tried eating it but it was not good it was very salty I wasn't able to eat it . As a person who use to work at McDonald's in the past I am very disappointed with the service . I feel the quality of service have fallen. Service time was outrageous. Cleanliness was unacceptable both in lobby and behind the counter . I guess they were getting ready to close but still. There were also quote a few other people waiting for there food in the lobby and 2 cars in drive thru.

Pretty standard quality of food for a McDonald's franchise. Staff were nice and it's a very popular (hence busy) location. They can use some improvements in keeping the place cleaner and tidier (maybe a bit for frequent cleaning up at the drinks fountain and the bathrooms).

Saw a homeless guy standing around the front counter and when no staff is aware, he took empty drink cup and help himself for free ice and coke. Lol

Arrived around 2 AM after a delayed flight, just wanting a quick bite. After waiting several minutes in the drive-thru, the first thing we hear is, “Please move to the next window.” Naturally, we did. At the window, staff seemed confused why we hadn’t ordered and claimed the instruction was for another car — without a shred of apology or accountability. If you’re talking to another vehicle, turn off your mic. Instead, they doubled down, shifting blame, with the night manager matching the same rude, dismissive attitude. A textbook example of ego overriding basic customer courtesy.

A traditional old Hong Kong style congee place in Toronto. I love their congee very much. Their breakfast side dishes are delicious, too. I love their background wall showing their old location in Hong Kong with a long bench. It feels nostalgic that the waiting people are sitting on the bench like waiting in front of their old location which brought us a lot of memories.

This place serves pretty standard Hong Kong-style congee. Overall, it was decent and nothing particularly special. But there were so many people waiting in line… I honestly don’t quite get why. lol

Congee is good and able to recall good old time HK taste, spacious restarant, food portion is generally quite basic on this price.

Solid place for congee. Line was long when we arrived but turnover is pretty fast - our party of 3 got seated in about 20 minutes. After ordering, our congees came within minutes. Portions are decent for one person, probably too small to share. Congee had a good amount of meat in it and was very tasty. Their dough fritter was soo crispy! We saw that you order dough fritter by individual piece so we ordered two thinking it would be standard single fritters. They're more like double pieces though so we definitely could have just ordered one. We also ordered a beef rice noodle roll which was nothing special. Overall, a good experience though and we'll be adding Sam's to our congee rotation!

We love strolling through Main Street Unionville and the surrounding trails with our boxer dog, Ray. One especially hot Friday evening, we stopped by the local Starbucks to grab some water and a pup cup for Ray—she devoured it with joy! After a walk along the trail, Ray suddenly slowed down and became unresponsive. I rushed back to Starbucks and asked for water. The two baristas working that night, Darren J. and Fay, immediately handed me a cup—no questions asked. It made a huge difference, and Ray slowly started showing signs of life. I returned again, explained the situation, and they kindly gave me another cup with ice and a second pup cup to lift her spirits—all completely free of charge. Thanks to their generosity and kindness, Ray bounced back and happily enjoyed her second puppuccino. We’re incredibly grateful to Darren and Fay for their compassion and care. Starbucks is lucky to have such thoughtful and animal-loving team members!

Always busy, but the service is fast. Ordered a Peppermint Mocha and Cheese Danish. The trails next to this Starbucks are amazing for long or short walks, located near Toogood Pond lake/park too if you're keen to watch sunset. Plenty of parking available (behind the Cafe) and easy access to Starbucks from the parking lots (you'll use stairs to come up).

Disgusting > whoever is cleaning it is really not doing a good job because today I found it so filthy: ••under the seat there is feces that has not been cleaned off, not to mention the odor. It is unhealthy & what with the sink being filthy, no one can wash their hands. It is time to call in public health! •● The owner needs to show his face here & see how long the young adults stay plugged into their laptops. Yeah we know they want the experience of being at Starbucks & its always about not paying for their drinks. • If the owner was here he would see the following: •● the youth & young adults who bring in their own beverages in their knapsacks. •● 3 young women occupied 2 tables & enjoyed beverages from home. •● one fella who gave up a chair bc he had his junk on it did not order anything yet he sat there over an hour. •● one lone female at a table used two chairs, one for her knapsack, another for her jacket & other paraphernalia. When a new mom with a stroller asked to use it, it was denied as "a friend" was in line. Not so. •● I counted 2 large bags of pretzels being consumed at one round table at the rear. •● An elderly lady took out a thermos from her purse & poured water into her Starbucks mug, that she also pulled out of her purse. She napped this afternoon on one big comfy chair. •● a fella behind me took out a large black thermos from his knapsack, poured his drink of the day after he got a free cup from staff. He was there before I arrived & still there when I left. •● Staff are not going to be confrontational with patrons. This is the ●OWNERS● job. So come here, watch what's happening, ask those people to leave, start turning off your WiFi. Make serious changes so real patrons can enjoy a beverage & sit down. •●• today's date is Oct 18/25. •● Did the owner forget that tourists like me are giving him this bread & butter?

The location is great especially in the cold winter that we could enjoy a hot drink, with beautiful winter views through big window. Friendly servers and good drinks, but we noticed there's dust not cleared for quite a while. It's an eye sore.

To the management: Very few people talk about this, I might be one of the very few. When I used the men's washroom in early morning hours on Oct4'25, it was not sanitized properly, the toilet seat was quite dirty (I suggest it should be replaced), it was obvious that the person that cleaned the toilet bowl did not clean it, or he/she just did a very lousy job. Starbucks is a high-end coffee shop, the filthy condition of the washrooms just makes a bad impression on the coffee shop. Hope to see improvement soon!

One of my favourite HK cafes in the city. My family and I always end up here when we want cha chaan teng, bc they usually have the best options. I love their iced lemon tea (sweet just how I like it. Could be too sweet for some people). I also love their bolognese, and I usually order it for take out. The portion is huge and it's enough for two meals. Prices have gone up a bit since Covid, and I think they also changed owners recently so it's not the same as it used to be but it's still good. They accept card and cash

If you're looking for a Hong Kong-style breakfast, this is a must-visit place! The French toast and satay beef noodles are flavorful and definitely worth a try. The breakfast set is very reasonably priced, and the service is great.

Have been coming on and off for the past 20 years-ish, last time was probably 7/8 years ago so had to make it back for old times sake when I'm back in town. Same old, traditional style HK cha chaan teng. Good value for decent food.

Been to this restaurant a couple times and on both instances I have never been disappointed. The first time I ordered pork and fish with spaghetti noodles and gravy and husband ordered the baked ham and chicken on spaghetti. The next time I ordered vermicelli with shredded chicken, barbecue pork and ham strips and my husband ordered the noodle soup with ham, eggs and sausages. Food is so good, customer service is fast and accommodating, price is affordable and portions are just right. This place though is too popular that during busy times which is usually from 12 noon onwards, it takes a little wait time before being seated. Otherwise, all is good. Washroom is also clean. 2 👍!!! Edit 2025 - they are now under new management. Most of the servers we knew are no longer there. Food still good. Still very busy most of the day.

First time here and I am loving every second of it. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are so welcoming and nice. We got the curry chicken, curry beef and the noodle with spare ribs and all the foods were great and the price is so good too. Our waitress May was so amazing! She made this experience 100 times better for us. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back.

Do not trust online review. This place have more surprise than review say. Must come yourself to understand. Real local coffee shop, when I go there only have one old man watch shop. I think I go wrong place. I think is someone else watch shop. Ask for one Double Espresso, taste very very good, price also very reasonable, only order one Muffin, also feel satisfy. Real small shop eat small shop, for tourist sightseeing, definitely worth come for walk around.

This isn't just a cafe; it's a community hub, a place where everyone seems to know each other and smiles are freely shared. Everytime I sit down and savor the food and drinks I connect with people, it's truly unlike any other cafe in Markham where everyone is disconnected. The decor is charming, cat themed decor and accessories. On the second level there are cozy armchairs and chairs that invite you to sink in and stay awhile. I have tried many items on the menu, I highly suggest the cattuccino, which warmed me from the inside out. The grilled cheese, tuna sandwich, chicken sandwich, chicken fingers, and butternut squash soup are such great lunch choices. For breakfast: the omelette and pancakes are to die for !! The food and drinks are truly made with love, and that makes all the difference.

A McDonald's location busy with families on Halloween weekend. Drive through too, but everything was steadily progressing. I like how McDonald's locations get to choose their own decor themes. I would guess this is an urban theme and the coolest part is a little nook at the very back which has an order station there too. The seasonal peach pies are on point in terms of flavor and texture and the current pricing of $1.25 medium coffee is welcome. Enjoy!

Happy meal for my child! When I got home, I found that there were no French fries. The child was very sad. That was the child's favorite, but I didn't want to go back to get it because it was too far. I just wanted to leave a bad review!

Busy McDonald's location at Markham Road and 16th Avenue. They offer the full menu here, with self-serve kiosks and soft drink machine. Expect to wait for food at busy times. The property is not large and they share an entrance with the plaza, which includes a No Frills. The drive-through can get backed up causing jams at the plaza entrance and on Markham Road.

Unfortunately, I don’t want to give a one-star review, but I hope this feedback helps improve their service. I stop by almost every day for coffee, and I’ve noticed a difference in service quality depending on who is at the counter. When South Asian staff handle food delivery or cashier duties, the service often feels lacking. In contrast, when others, such as Asian or Black staff, are on shift, the service tends to be consistently good.

Very accurate with my order including condiments. Update: June 2022 - They've removed the barrier at the pick up counter but the ones at the cash register area is still there. Update: Aug 2022 For some reason the app is acting up so a couple of times it's not worked to do the mobile order and I've had to go to the cashier or the drive thru to get the order done. :( Update Jan 2025: Staff at this location are pretty friendly and helpful. They still have table service when you order in app.

Ordered Panera Bread for a work function by Uber Eats. The sandwiches were tasty but lacking toppings I found. Maybe they felt rush to make that many sandwiches that they did they as quick as they could. Presentation wasn’t the best but they still tasted fine. The bread was also nice and crunchy

This was my first time trying panera bread. I went with my mom. It's a decent place to grab a bite if you're catching with a friend or something. The food is decent too. However, the portions were super small for soup bowls that big. I got the Broccoli Cheddar soup. I have to admit that, that soup was pretty damn good. Wish it were served hotter, but it was still good. My mom got the Steak Mozzarella Sandwich with a salad. The sandwich was super good. Salad was okay, was just salad, nothing too memorable. I just hated the portion sizes. For a large bowl of soup, they fill it barely half way. It's kind of misleading. They had a smaller sized bowl and a larger one, and to be honest, it's as if they took a small bowl, filled it up, and poured it into the larger bowl. I had a side of baguette with the soup and that bread was HARD. Thank god I had the soup or I wouldn't have been able to eat that brick of loaf.

A decent experience with some decent food, but I think the pick 2 for a family is just too overpriced. The smart thing for the cashier to have done is let us know that 3 pick 2 orders would’ve been enough for a family of four. We basically paid $100 for Panera bread at lunch. The chicken bacon rancher was actually really tasty but $20 for a half sandwich and salad isn’t what I had in mind Service was good. Not great but nothing that stood out in my mind. Parking can be harder during meal times on the side of all the restaurants but you will definitely find a spot. The parking lot is quite large and I believe there is an underground parking, however I have never needed to use it and I am not sure if it’s for people that work within the office building adjacent to the plaza Good job

I walk in around 11:42 and place order. I just ordered One bagel toast with cream cheese. I wait till 11:57 to get my bagel. It’s takes more than 10 minutes to get the bagel and they put the cream cheese on the side, not spreading on the bagel. That’s mean got a toasted bagel need to wait 10 minutes and more. That is ridiculous. I would not recommend that location to anyone.

I've ordered both takeout and dined in here now. My faovurite takeout order is the turkey chili. I got the Fuji Apple Salad and the half Toasted Italiano sandwich. The portions were pretty big for me personally. The apple salad dressing was delicious, adding a sweet dimension to the salad. The sandwich was perfectly toasted with many flavors. We didn't have to wait long for our meals to come while dining in. It was quiet when we arrived which is nice.

The staff at this location are ALWAYS so kind. I usually order pickup through the website but noticed the option isn’t available at times. I went in and was helped by Harry who was really helpful in ensuring I got my order exactly as placed. I asked for a tray for my coffees but forgot to grab it before heading to make my drinks. Before even needing to head back to the front, Harry came to find me to give me the tray. Honestly, it’s always nice to find people in the service industry that actually care about the interactions that they have with their customers.

Clean, fast service and lots of seating. Great place to work on a computer. Service could be a little friendlier. The style of service felt a lot like a high school cafeteria which was nostalgic and fun. I do suggest they get some smaller spoons for kids! Overall got what I expected, a little pricey though.

I frequently visit this place after my work time. The coffee tastes good better than other Tim Hortons i have tried. The staff is friendly. The place is usually very busy because of customers so service can be little slow but the food and the coffee you gona get will be amazing. Must visit if you are nearby.

What a waste of space.

They only provide one tea bag for extra large tea, while Tim Horton always gives 2 tea bag for extra large tea. Edit: my tea is tasteless , it feels like drinking hot water

Came to this McDonald's in search of Pokemon cards recently. It is really good in early mornings and it actually has a play area for children (opens after 8am). I used kiosk to order and staff seemed friendly enough. Order was correct and food tasted fine. Later in the day it does get super busy though...

Easily the worst drive thru experience consistently. I mean unless you don’t mind ordering something and getting the complete opposite. I’ve stopped in here multiple times on my way to work and multiple times now I get a COMPLETELY different order than what I requested.

Food is not fresh , bought a crispy chicken wrap andc chicken sandwich, the patry in the wrap was stale gave me a itchy tongue. Service b was bad , the person at drive through taking the order while talking and joking with her colleague not paying attention to us placing the order.

I ordered a coffee and muffin. Coffee was good. But the banana chocolate muffin was awful. Clearly it was not made that day. It was so dry n stale. I usually have good service and good food but today the muffin was bad. I had to throw it away.

Pretty good food, fast service too! We had Hong Kong milk tea, chicken cutlet vermicelli soup, pork in tomato sauce, and pork chops with eggs and toast. The chicken cutlets were nicely crispy and came with a good amount of noodles; they absorbed most of the broth.

Love this little cafe as it opens really early in the morning at 8am. 💖 We went there for breakfast and ordered some signature Hong Kong breakfast items like steak vermicelli, satay beef instant noodles, congee with fried noodles 😂🍳☕️ They offer a great selection of Hong Kong style breakfast☕️🍹🍜🍛🍳🥓🥩I had the steak vermicelli😋and of course I got my favourite Hong Kong style milk tea. Food was good with that price.

I like how they have a meal option for a grilled steak/ pork chop/ chicken with eggs and toast. That’s my usual go to. Average hk cafe style food. Hearty and easy meals.

Pretty good Hong Kong cafe with affordable prices. They’re pretty busy in the mornings even on a weekday. Their portions are really good as well. At first I thought the bowl of noodles was small but there’s actually quite a bit in there. For their dinners, it includes soup and tea/coffee of your choice. I love their cream soup, it’s super creamy.

I ordered a Hainan Chicken Rice and fried squid balls. The food was average. The service was very bad - no cutlery provided before I requested for it. The servers are rude and forgets our request. I would not recommend this restaurant.

It was my first time here, and it felt very much like a traditional HK-style cha chaan teng, making me feel as though I were back in Hong Kong. We ordered the Malaysian Curry Beef Brisket with Rice and the Japanese Shredded Beef Penne in Cream Sauce. The food was tasty, and the portions were okay! However, compared to other places and the portion sizes, I found the prices to be a bit expensive.

Food's not bad. Good services so far and the waitress was polite which is a pleasant surprise among those Chinese cafe in Markham. 👍 The only thing made this visit 1 star (0.5 star) short is we were expecting that we finally able to taste the Puff Pastry Soup, but we were advised they no longer serve this soup.

Sunset Grill is a chain restaurant, and I know it is not very exciting for a lot of people, but they always give you a friendly family feeling (this location included). You get your usual egg and bacon breakfast here. Pancake is a must try here. You get free refill on Coffee. Services are great here. Food is made fresh and they come very fast. If you are in the area and want something quick, this is a good choice Parking is ok as they have a big parking lot.

I have tried different Sunset Grill locations. This is by far my favourite as the food is always fresh and tasty. The service is very quick and courteous. I would personally recommend this place!

We got a table on a Saturday morning around 9:30am without waiting. Coffee was served while we were looking at the menu. We ordered a 3 eggs, sausage and bacon, and a Sunset omelette. The portion was big. Everything was cooked well. Our server was a little busy and we needed to get her attention. Free refill for coffee. Lots of parking spots were available.

This location was quite lively and neat. Our server was quite attentive with coffee refills and service. The food was great for the most part . Eggs Florentine ,Poached Eggs and Salmon and Bacon were all great except for a few mishaps. The potatoes could definitely be better .They were kinda lukewarm too and unevenly cooked .The bacon was way too hard and well done. The eggs ,muffin complimented by Hollandise sauce were perfectly cooked . The coffee was fresh and plenty. Definitely recommend for breakfast and brunch.

I really enjoyed visiting this location. The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were helpful in navigating gluten-free options. The food arrived in a timely manner and was tasty. Restaurant was bright and clean with nice music. Lovely breaksfast spot!

Sunset Grill is a lovely little restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff. Its Sunset Sandwich is its prime item, as the potato is excellent, and the bacon is well-cooked. It perfectly matches its freshly brewed coffee (very tasteful and outstanding). Lastly, its Blueberry pancake is one of a kind and highly recommended for all pancake lovers.

Been coming here for years on and off. Their customer service is great! Food quality is always good and will come here again. Bottomless coffee available.

Very large McDonald's with lots of seating and a Mcplay place. This restaurant is located on the same property as the Milliken Mills Community Centre and High School, so it can get busy at times. They have 4 digital kiosks for ordering.

Terrible experience!!!! I pulled into the drive-thru and I couldn't hear her at all. The french fries were cold and had no salt on them. I ordered a quarter pounder and it only had ketchup and mustard on it when I got home. Very disappointed!

I visited a McDonald’s that offered some items from the international menu: the Roast Beef Burger, the Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich, and McPops. The location itself is pretty unique — it’s attached to a school and has a larger layout than most. That said, when we went, the place was overcrowded and messy. They were out of ketchup packet holders, and overall the store felt like it could’ve used a deep clean. As for the food: • The Roast Beef Burger was surprisingly good — kind of like a mix between a burger and a hashbrown. Definitely something I’d order again. • The Teriyaki Sandwich was okay, but a bit too messy for my taste. Between the two, I’d go with the roast beef next time. • The McPops were just alright. The texture was a bit too dense, and unfortunately, they didn’t have the Pizza Pops version available. Overall, it was an interesting stop for the international items, but the crowds and cleanliness took away from the experience. Also the place has a play place which is rare now adays.

Worst McDonald's ever I had one of the worst experiences at this McDonald’s location today. I placed my order at 11:00 a.m., but it was not delivered until 11:35 a.m. I clearly noticed that my order was skipped, while several others who ordered after me received theirs much earlier. Initially, I assumed the staff might be busy, so I waited patiently. However, after about 15 minutes, there was only one other customer besides me, and my order had disappeared from the order progress screen. When I inquired at the counter, the staff member pointed to three employees and said they were preparing it. I found it unusual that three people would take that long to prepare a simple order consisting of 3 large fries, one burger, and a box of chicken nuggets. I observed them chatting and working very casually without any sense of urgency. After another 20 minutes, I asked again to confirm whether my order was actually being prepared, as I suspected it might have been picked up by mistake. I was told again that it was being worked on, but I only received my food after over 30 minutes. Overall, the service was very disappointing. I was in a hurry to get food for a group of kids, and the lady at the counter clearly saw my urgency but still chose to ignore it.

We ordered happy meal they charge us for regular price we already go back there to fix it, we order it on 9am we get home at 10.18am the pancakes already hard as a rock and they said because “it’s already 3 hours ago”

Every single time that I order here the order is never correct. I most recently today ordered a Matcha latte iced Venti with lavender cold foam. I received a completely different order. It was Matcha with cherry foam or whatever it’s called. This happens more times than not and whenever I order something and then get the flavour right they never ever put a lot of foam in it. There’s barely any if anything they just foam up the Matcha and throw it in therefore I get more of like a tall drink instead, which is ridiculous because I paid for a venti. I’m not trying to complain too much here, but I found this happens a lot . And I don’t think it’s OK because no one ever takes accountability for it.. It’s made me not want to order from here ever again it’s ridiculous. You should see what the macho looks like. . I tried to drink a bit of my drink just to see if there was any of the flavour I ordered, but there wasn’t . Very weird anyways. I don’t think I’ll order her again . When I went into a store, they did this as well . It’s definitely not an isolated incident . They put a grande size into a venti size Ridiculous

Yesterday, I was there and ordered the Mutch tea latte with one shot of espresso. They prepared my order in just three minutes, and it was very fast. The place is spotless and it has space to sit and work there. One of the positives is that the shop has windows and inside is very bright. Thank you, definitely coming back!👋

Very bad service I bought a lot of drinks and asked them to put them in the bag for me, but no one paid any attention to me. Later someone helped me, but the attitude was very bad. It was a terrible experience.

There is only one word to describe my experience here at this location: invigorating! Mabel took our group's order, and she was extremely helpful. The way she greeted us with a smile was also a nice touch! Jodi was also very accommodating, and she just had this very inviting aura that made you want to keep chatting with her. You guys are amazing!

This place offered a pleasant ambience and good service, making it a great spot to relax. I tried the Cinnamon Coffee Cake and the Brown Sugar White Mocha with Cinnamon, and both were delicious. The warm flavors are especially perfect for cozy weather.

The drink I got was watery, badly made, and tasted awful. This location clearly doesn’t care about quality or customer service. Save your time and money — go anywhere else.

Came in near closing and the East Asian lady at the counter loudly yelled “we are closed, we are closed”. She was so loud that even the other staff looked uncomfortable and tense. A polite response or simply locking the doors would have been more professional. A little courtesy in these situations would make the customer experience much better. Never visiting this branch again!

I ordered the new pineapple cloud cake and an ice coffee through the app for drive through pick up. There was a bit of a line up with the drive through but I waited maybe 5 to 10 minutes. Picked up my order without any trouble and service was good. The pineapple cloud cake is on the small side but it tasted pretty good. The cake is really light with the cream and small pineapple chunks but I dont think its worth $3.95.

A great location overall and i think they’re closed later than other starbies From when i moved into the neighborhood until now, always had pleasant experiences. They always address you if it will take time for drinks to be made, which is nice Also, the kids love their cake pops. Drinks are the usual Starbucks drinks. For coffees, I always get a tall pike and for an espresso drink, Americano misto. Always happy with my orders Have always loved the service I received fr this location. All the members of the team are just great! Great job overall!

The only reason I am not giving full stars is specifically because of an employee there with the name “Lee”. I’ve been going to this Starbucks for over 8 yrs and everyone I’ve encountered was pleasant except for her. Very rude and has an attitude problem. Never seen her smile.

The staff in the drive thru are rude, literally throwing the drinks and food at you to rush you along. Then I drive off and find that my coffee is full of cream, literally white in colour when I ordered a light splash of cream. It even tells them on the sticker (1/4”). They either don’t know what 1/4” means or they simply don’t care. Given how my order was launched at me today, it’s likely the latter.

I order a carrot muffin at the drive thru . Then the crew member said they don't have it and replace with banana chocolate muffin . Once I paid and went to pick up window, the crew member said yes they have carrot and gave me carrot muffin that was not baked properly and was not even baked. Always check your food before leaving the drive thru. Very poor customer service at this location to trick a customer with muffin that is not Baked properly.

I recently visited McDonald's in Markham and noticed something concerning during my visit. While watching the staff prepare the burgers, I observed that they were handling the ingredients with their bare hands, without using gloves. This is a serious issue for me, as it raises hygiene concerns, especially when it comes to food preparation. I understand that McDonald's is a fast-food chain with a reputation to uphold, but not using gloves while handling food is something that should be addressed for the safety and comfort of customers. I hope they can improve their food handling practices to ensure better hygiene standards moving forward.

Staff prefer to do housekeeping instead of serving. I stand for more than 5 min waiting a small coffee... and when I decided to ask the lady, she said "wait... it is coming "... And after dobe her work she finally got my coffee. Really bad service!

Good tasting fast food as expected at any McDonald's. This location has lots of seating available, and has been recently renovated. There's a Canadian Tire adjacent at this plaza, with lots of parking spots available. They don't have a self-serve fountain drink station here, nor hand sanitizer 🥲.

Consistently miss items. Today we ordered three Bengals with with egg and cheese, they gave only cheese, no egg. After telling them, instead of replacing the entire Bengals, they just gave all three eggs in a box. After one bite, i found egg shells in the egg. Serious food safety issue, not reliable at all. Wanted to talk to Manager, manager didn't show up

This review has been edited to reflect the review since this restaurant has been renovated. This restaurant has loads of dirty tables, floors are filthy and service is the worst I’ve seen. Still The worst McDonald's I've been too. Service in drive through is terrible! Always pull you to third window (and for silly things like your drinks) and 8/10 times they get your order wrong! Kids won't eat it if you order them chicken and they get fish! I gave them 2 stars only because the Manager I dealt with twice happily refunded me without a hard time which I appreciated since I had to drive back. Management needs to stop allowing employees to be rude to customers. (Happens regularly) and work on not only time, but accuracy!

Each time I order a spicy McChicken sandwich with bacon, I've always been charged but never received my actual order. I've done it 3 days in a row and the result have been the same. I won't be visiting anytime soon.

Tried SCENIC Coffee + Brunch for the first time and was drawn in by their creative menu. I ordered a black sesame latte, which had a rich, nutty flavour and was presented beautifully. For brunch, I had the Yuzu Eggs Benedict: onsen eggs over a homemade southern biscuit, topped with yuzu miso hollandaise, and served with a crisp house salad and creamy Japanese potato salad. I added halloumi on the side, which gave a nice salty contrast to the bright, citrusy sauce. The biscuit held up well under the toppings, and the eggs were perfectly soft and runny. I also shared the strawberry mochi pancakes. They were soft and slightly chewy from the mochi, with strawberry compote, matcha cream, and toasted almonds adding sweetness and texture. The café is clean, the staff are warm and welcoming, and the dishes bring together flavour combinations you won’t find in many brunch spots. For me, it’s a 3.5-star experience, but I’ll round it to 4 for the creativity and presentation.

Delicious food and super friendly service. The strawberry mochi pancakes and the ikura cheese toast were both phenomenal. It's a family friendly space and the menu options are great. The kinako soy latte, black sesame latte, and the matcha latte are all beautifully crafted and always a hit!

The coffees were nicely done. The food portions were a tad large but still very good. It could’ve been hotter - felt a bit room temperature. I like my food hot!

Super relaxed ambience and great food and drinks, the black sesame toast was the perfect amount of “not too sweet”, and the avocado toast had all of the right savoury flavours.

Best brunch spot I've been to! From first bite to last everything is incredible. Love thats its also accessible, as not a lot of the nearby places on that street are. 10/10 recommend this place and the service is top notch!
