The 25 best ice cream shops in Grand Rapids

Since moving to GR almost a year ago, this has definitely become my favorite spot to get a sweet treat! I’m very picky about my ice cream, but I like theirs because it tastes fresh. They rotate the flavors a lot, and my absolute favorite is Cookie Monster, it is the best ice cream I’ve ever had!!! The waffle cones are amazing, too! I come here wayyyy too much, but I’m not gonna stop anytime soon…

The ice cream was great, the service was also great, and the fellowship was even better! I’d definitely return with friends again for the ice cream. I would say that the atmosphere could be better- I did visit in May, so maybe it’s a little rough looking in spring and gets better in the summer? I’d have to revisit to check it out- because it just seemed a little worn down. The idea is good- a back patio with some vines and decent seating, but it was a bit overgrown with a lot of dead leaves all over the ground. I recognize it’s outside, but it’s line visiting an elder person’s home- one where they’re struggling to take care of it, you know? But the ice cream! It’s good. Very tasty. The ship overall is quaint and I’d definitely like to try it again.

Gluten-free and vegan friendly multi flavors, Premium !!!!!handcrafted ice cream. You might have to stand in a little bit of a lane but it’s worth the wait. Nice cute little back patio. The small cup can be split into two flavors. Lick Local😉🍦

I got the peanut butter Oreo in a milkshake and it was so good! It was a little over priced and we had to wait in line for about 20 minutes. The ice cream was great but for the price I’m iffy!

Consistently rude service. I go to Furniture city regularly, because I like their ice cream, but the attitude you receive when you walk in is unwelcoming. One employee in particular glares at customers and gives uncalled for snarky responses. I was behind an elderly couple that couldn't hear them properly, and the employee proceeded to speak to them loudly and slowly in such a condescending manner. It's insulting the way they speak to customers. I have seen them roll their eyes when customers walk in, and you always feel like you as the customer are interrupting or imposing when you walk in. They also have a terrible system where there are usually two employees working but only one person scooping ice cream. I will happily go to The Parlor instead.

This place is quickly becoming my favorite ice cream shop in Grand Rapids :) Their ice cream is so creative and has such a culinary flair! Today I got lavender and blueberry cobbler out of their rotating flavors 💙

Cute spot with a solid range of ice cream, including a couple of vegan options (which I think rotate). When I went, they had trans joy and vanilla. Both were good, but definitely leaned more sorbet-like than super creamy. The line was way too long for what it was, but my friends got other flavors and were fans. They also can make anything into a shake but it’s definitely a little more pricey.

This place was pretty spectacular. We went on a memory journey through Grand Rapids and hit Jersey Junction to have some ice cream. It was great to see all the psychic candies and the service with fantastic.

One of my go-to ice cream places. I don't even need to explain, every local knows this place. The serving is a lot as you can see in the pictures (compared to the cup), and the price is fair and reasonable in my opinion. I always love the combo of watermelon sherbet and belgian cookie butter (?), thats my all time go to. And I do need to emphasize this again but the portion is huge, so their small one is not quite so small actually (at least for me). The selection is wide, and every cup can get at least 2 flavors, I'm not quite sure but that's what I have been doing, 2 flavors per cup regardless of its size. I like how they have vegan friendly options as well. As for the service and wait time, I have read a lot about how the wait is extremely long and how sometimes the service is "bad", in all my visits to this place, I can see that yes the wait line could be long but not quite bad, I mean I have been in a longer line before and to be honest, if you cant wait and feel that its a waste of time then just go to another place, they only have so many people to serve everyone so it's understandable about the line. And also, if you're a local, you would know about this place always have a long line and should be prepared to wait. The service has always been good to me, I mean they're busy all the time and truly just wanna get things right so sometimes I could see why some behaviors might come across as harsh/straightforward but not to the point of being rude. I stutter sometimes when I'm nervous and my accent becomes stronger when that happens, but they always patiently listen and ask again if they dont quite catch my orders. There are places to sit, both inside and outside, and also available restroom to use. I like the rowdy atmosphere in general, definitely not for everyone in some aspects but just try it out.

I love this place so much and I have been going here since I was a little kid and would always get the amazing chocolate monster. One down side is that it is very expensive compared to other ice cream shops but I know that they need to pay their kind employees and pay for the ice cream so I understand. I would give it 100000000/10 stars if I could. Amazing place

Jersey Junction is a fun tradition for our family! Great place. Chris VanAllsburg started this lovely nostalgic ice cream and candy shop. Kids of all ages enjoy the model train that travels above eye level around the small shop. Sit in the vintage school desks while you wait, or take in the historical photos and newspaper clippings adorning the walls. So much history about Ramona Park, the Park that used to be on Reeds Lake where John Collin’s Park is now. (This is a vote to bring back Ramona Park!) There is also a deck with seating and a bench just below under a tree. The bike rack is often full of kid and adult bikes! Have you read or seen The Polar Express? Chris VanAllsburg’s son, also named Chris, created the story and the book and movie both have references to Grand Rapids. This train is sorta like the first Polar Express! There is a seating area & tiny restroom up one step, next to the staff waffle-making goodness.m. Unfortunately, the restrooms paper towels are not accessible for those with some disabilities (or shorter patrons). Because of the historically small size of the shop, the restroom itself is also small, unable to accommodate wheelchairs or walkers well. **The Starbucks a few shops down has a wheelchair accessible one in the back parking lot, or the D&W across the street.** All in all, it’s a darling ice cream shop with old charm and the young staff were professional and courteous. They even offered our group a “pup cup” for the dog on the very hot day. Umbrellas weren’t out and would be helpful in 100* heat, however! Thanks for all these years of fun, Jersey! We get excited for April 1st when you open for the season!

Jersey Junction is adorable and the ice cream is delicious. I love this place because the service is outstanding! I was there recently with my elderly grandfather and he had a slight stumble and fall outside- Ava and the other young woman working rushed outside to offer assistance. They were so caring and kind. My grandfather was 100% ok and loved the ice cream. A million stars. Give this place all the business!

One of my absolute fav ice cream shoppes! They have a TON of options! I like how they offer cute, fun drink/treat options as well! I want to come back to try this sprite float they were promoting soon! I got a double scoop in a waffle cone… and OMG YALL!!! 😂😭🫣 TELL ME WHY this was dang near a PINT of ice cream!! 😅 Not complaining! Lol Was pleasantly was surprised! I got the chocolate (ofc), and a heaping scoop of Carolina peach. OMG the peach was UNREAL. Perfect amount of peach, with little frozen peach chunks that were perfection! I highly suggest…. But if you do want any advice, ask for a cup or two when you order a dbl scoop in a waffle cone! You’ll thank me later! 🍦

Love's catered the dessert for our wedding and I'm so happy they did! We knew from the start of planning that we wanted to serve ice cream for dessert, but we weren't sure we would have room in the budget for someone to scoop on site. Just two weeks before our big day, we reached out to Love's for a quote and booked right away! Maya was so easy to work with and thoroughly answered ALL of my questions. The guests loved the ice cream and wished we had booked them for longer, so they could go up for seconds! Booking with Love's was one of our favorite decisions we made!

We chose Love's to be the dessert option at our wedding this past May and it was such a hit! Their team was extremely helpful and responsive leading up to the big day and made hiring them a breeze. On the actual wedding, they were so professional and fun and the ice cream is always amazing! Our guests have not stopped talking about how delicious it was and how fun it was to have the ice cream cart there. Highly recommend using Love's for your next event. :)

While visiting family, we went to the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. After dinner, we stopped at Love’s Ice Cream & Chocolate for dessert. They have vegan options as well as regular ice cream. The vegan Coconut Fudge Ripple was excellent and the vegan Dark Chocolate is fantastic! Our family had regular ice cream and tells me that it is also fantastic. I highly recommend Love’s Ice Cream & Chocolate.

We had an ice cream sundae bar at our wedding a few weeks ago and it was such a hit! As the bride, I was so busy dancing and chatting that I completely missed it and didn't eat any, however, I know a lot of people did and loved it! They were super easy to work with, communicative, and I thought the pricing was extremely reasonable. I would recommend Love's to anyone!

Love's provided the dessert for our wedding last weekend, and we were so glad to have them! The team was kind, and responsive to communication. The ice cream choices were allergy friendly, and everything was delicious!! Plus, the cart is so cute! We could not be happier!

Love's was probably a top ice cream shop I've ever been to! Their ice cream was creamy and sweet, saff were sweet and listened well, and the wait was barely a minute or two. HIGHLY, recommend the waffle cone, and the peanut butter monster ice cream.

Best ice cream in Grand Rapids. Not only that but the staff is super nice and helpful. They are super informed on the product they serve. Everything is made in house dye free allergen friendly and ethically sourced which is very important to me because I am gluten free and wasn’t restricted to what ice cream I could or couldn’t eat.

They have a great selection of flavors/items to choose from! It can get really busy, but the line goes by pretty quick. They have a small parking lot in front, but if it fills up you can park along the street by the school.

I had a genuinely disappointing experience here and tried to give the business an opportunity to respond privately. Unfortunately, instead of addressing my concerns, they doubled down, denied my experience, and deleted my public comments. When I reposted, they accused me of harassment. I ordered a chocolate shake made with chocolate hard serve. I was told they’ve never made shakes with hard serve… which simply isn’t true, as I’ve ordered it before and it was made that way in the past. I said as much and they said I couldn’t have had it there. But I did. Last time was less than a month ago and whoever made it, did it right. I decided to settle for a chocolate shake with chocolate soft serve. I didn’t really want to leave empty handed in spite of my upset and after waiting in the long line. What I received was overloaded with syrup to the point of being inedible—it was so overpowering I threw it away after one sip. This isn’t about a single bad shake. It’s about being told I was mistaken when I know I wasn’t, and then being silenced for speaking up. I won’t be returning, and I hope this business reflects on how they handle feedback in the future. I’ve been a neighborhood regular for years, but after today, I won’t be coming back. Two stars only because I have some decent memories of actually getting a good shake here in the past.

Great selection of delicious frozen treats. Lines are often long but move relatively quickly. This spot could be so much better if they would eliminate the parking lot in favor of seating, shade, and plants. There’s tons of street parking, parking next door, and a large lot at City Middle High School. As it is the wait can be hot, there is no shade, and drivers are frequently a nuisance.

Yes. So happy to have gluten free options. I had my first gf brownie flurry in years. The lines were long but they went quickly. I look forward to trying other gf options.

It was our first time and shop was real cute and had nice seats inside. Libby was the only one working at the time and she was so kind and caring. She paid attention to details and went to the back to check when I asked if they had any coffee flavor. She found Oreo Espresso and it was delicious! Libby deserves a raise since it is absolutely a blessing to have a staff like her who genuinely care. It was so refreshing to see how she was working. It is rare to see nice people like her nowadays. Thanks again, Libby for your amazing service. I hope you’re treated like you deserve to be treated. You’re amazing!! :) Strawberry was excellent. Strawberry Cheesecake was ok and wasn’t impressed by Praline Pecan. I’ll absolutely comeback for some more Oreo Espresso & Strawberry for sure!!

It’s one thing for Google to be wrong, I recognize the times are not always up to date. But to show up to Pinkies on a lovely evening desperate for ice cream at 8:12 p.m. (we walked their from our home, 30+ minutes) and to see the signs outside the restaurant say they closed at 9 p.m. was very, very disappointing. It looked like they had been closed for at least 30 minutes.

We’ve enjoyed Pinkie’s each season, they are committed to good ice cream, are in a nice spot on Wealthy, and make appearances at community events. They are changing over their ice cream, Sherman’s was the main staple but is no longer selling wholesale, so we’re excited to see what’s coming. They have many flavors and a decent sized scoop.

Never seen unique ice crème flavours. I got the honey lavender which was smooth and not too strong in flavour. The place to was cute and I enjoyed the décor that filled the place.

Went here with two sweets lovers, looking for "free cream and desserts". Turns out "desserts" means "stuff made with ice cream",so no cakes, pies, etc. Between the three of us we tried nine flavors, ranging from Baconator to black cherry (with Traverse City cherries), strawberry to salted caramel. All were okay, in the okayest sense of that okay judgement. Sweet, flavored, adequate. Meh, okay.

So worth the the drive... The mini golf is always upgraded each year each hole is a little challenge but fun and easy for all ages. Then enjoy some yummy ice cream treats Oh and don't forget sitting in the big chair for family pictures

Double Dip Depot is a favorite summer ice cream spot for our family! We love the wide variety from hard and soft serve to hot food options. The drive-thru is a huge plus and makes grabbing a treat super convenient. Just a warning it can get pretty busy on hot days, but it’s always worth the wait!

Love this ice cream stop! Reasonable prices and great options! One of the workers in the drive through was not very professional when we ordered however! Also have a mini golf course that has been redone! Fixing up the actual ice cream building coming next?

Need to have a clear sign for those who want to mini golf of where to purchase..instead everything on the front of the building os ice cream related. Becuase of that you get out of line and go to the side of the building thinking there must be another window or somewhere to purchase a round of mini golf...only to find out you indeed do need to wait in the ice cream line because there is no where else to make the purchase.

10/10 Ice Cream Shop! Makes me feel like I'm up north or near the lakeshore with the small town/hole in the wall feel but instead it's only 5 mins away from home. Love the exterior with the mini golf, string lights and the new paint looks really nice. Staff is always so professional, kind, helpful, and cheerful. My "go to's" are the chili cheese dogs and flurries. So good! The only negative feedback I have is that the fried mac and cheese bites were a bit sad :( It felt like I was just eating breaded Kraft mac and cheese but that won't stop me from giving you my business with your other items!

I had the pleasure of hosting a kids’ activity tent next to these ladies at the Grandville Vintage Fest. They were very busy throughout the day and one customer came back raving about how good the ice cream was. So naturally I had to try it. I had the lemon lavender in a waffle cone and it was delicious! I was convinced. 😁 I’m definitely going to try some of their other flavors at their regular location on Chicago Drive.

Two words: DOLE WHIP. Go. Now. The homemade waffle cone was also wonderful. The counter lady was super nice. And the homemade ice cream my partner had was also very good. Rich & creamy. But go for the Dole Whip. I know I’ll be driving 45 minutes for it the next opportunity I have.

I love ice cream! Everytime I travel to a new city I look for the next best sweet treat in a cone. The Tippy Cow delivers every want & need. Each flavor is packed with original flavors. I love Eskimo Kisses (coconut ice cream & chocolate chunks) & the Espresso Chip. This is the place to go for a quick dessert.

It’s really good ice cream shop - better than average. It’s our top choice above the 3 other in the area. The have the standard options, plus dole whip, an excellent option for dairy free. I enjoy their premium flurries - for $.50 extra you can get some pretty unique flavors like chocolate covered strawberry! The person who left the review below this who says better go to Cold Stone is laughable. We’ve never had an issue here, the outside area is a friendly atmosphere, and oh yeah this isn’t a national brand.

This is a go-to spot for us. They make their own ice cream flavors and my wife is obsessed with the salted Oreo. I just tried their pumpkin pie flurry the other day and wow it was amazing. I normally order the PB Oreo flurry but had to switch it up for fall. They have dole whip, dairy free ice cream, and vegan options for those who can't have legit ice cream. Everything is reasonably priced as well!

They've got a good selection of high quality ice cream and lots of options for cones and cups to put the scoops in. Their staff is also super friendly. Loved this ice cream place! They have such a great seating area with a super cool wall painted professionally by an artist and it has sooo many cool retro and newer animated cartoon characters...when I saw Hong Kong Phooey, Grape Ape, Underdog, The Kool Aid Man and others, I knew this was a cool spot!!

Haven’t been here in a while and when we came back we had a person with a peanut and tree nut allergy with us. Unfortunately after ordering a cookie dough flurry ( with NO nuts ) he experienced an allergic reaction. Allergy folks please be safe!

Kilwins is a must-visit for any ice cream lover! They have some of the best quality ice cream around — my personal favorites are Toasted Marshmallow, Cake Batter, and Butter Pecan. The chocolate turtles and chocolate tastes ok. There isn't anything memorable or special about it. It is very basic and not skillfully made. Staff was cool. Prices are a little high for what you are getting. It's in a very convenient location, so it will probably be there for a while.

We stopped in while in GR with our family for a regatta. The entire staff was so super friendly and helpful. We found some amazing treats in the shop that helped to start our weekend trip off right. Every single employee we encountered was amazing. Worth a stop to look around. The chocolates, fudge and ice cream were delicious.

Such a “sweet” place! The Manager and crew truly love their shop, their sweets, and their city. We had a really great time eating some ice cream and visiting with them. I ordered two soft served ice cream one lemon and one vanilla flavored in a cone with nuts, turned over in a cup. It was so hot outside and I had to travel. My server put the ice cream in a cup and in another bag she put the cones. It worked out fine, because I had to travel far and the ice cream was still good, no spills. I love Woody's!

A very slow experience. It took us about 30 minutes to even order at the window. There was a line but it was only about 3 groupings of people ahead of us. The prices were also not the best and the lady taking my order misheard what I ordered. It is ice cream and it tasted fine but the experience left a lot to be desired.

I was in line for over 30 minute... and I'm not even slightly annoyed by it. 100% worth it. It was my first time, and I'll be bringing my partner back next weekend. The food was amazing. The malt...omg. My dog also gave his pup cup a 10! The young lady at the window was so sweet. I could tell she was new, and her energy still polished my first visit! Childhood vibe activated. Can't wait to try all the things!

Best experience I've had getting food in awhile. Very good, order wasn't perfect but it was busy and still amazing.

Love it. The ice cream is amazing. Me and my husband had a date there (lol). Then hrs later went back with the kiddos. Forgot to take pics before we started eating it. The nachos with chilli and cheese was good except for the fact that the meat tasted sweet (not crazy about that) but, I wouldn't let that stop me from going again.

Love their ice cream but it perpetually closes early so for people who drive there and go off their updated hours of service it gets a little frustrating.

This is our favorite neighborhood ice cream place, with lots of soft serve and hard serve options to choose from. There's no indoor seating, but they have tables and benches outside - or you can stroll up the White Pine Trail with your treat. I wish they'd get rid of the cigar store type Indian statue, but otherwise it's great.

Great staff. We brought a group of 15 teens and the staff was friendly and quick with taking everyone's orders and getting them out.

They have so many types of ice cream you’re sure to find what you like. The prices are the BEST you won’t find a more affordable place. Even when the line is super long it moves fast. The staff is efficient, friendly and patient.

your workers were screwing around instead of listening to the customers. i had to repeat my order 8 times. then my small sundae was turned into the messiest flurry i ever saw! it was 4.5 inches over the top of the cup and made the biggest mess on my 4 minute drive home. Not only was I covered in ice cream, but my seatbelt, door, and steering wheel were, also, covered in the entire 4.5 inches of ice cream above the cup, and it didn't stop there. As I was trying to get a bowl from my kitchen, it started pouring onto the floor. We used half a pack of baby wipes to try and contain the mess, which the mess just pooled around the wipes and made an even bigger mess taking them off the cup. We will never be back. 1. customer service sucked. 2. prices are high for a mess of this magnitude. 3. girls didn't listen and gave me the wrong thing. 4. the wait between ordering and getting the order was extremely high (my kid had his banana split nearly 15 minutes before i got my sundae turned flurry).

We’ve been regular customers at this local ice cream shop for quite some time, stopping by a couple of times a week with our two dogs. We always try to support local businesses, and we’ve appreciated having a spot like this in the community. That said, we had a disappointing experience during our visit this evening. We ordered a sundae, a twist cone, and two pup cups—just like we often do. We always request the pup cups without the Milkbone, as our dogs are a bit picky and don’t like biscuit treats. This has never been an issue before, and in the past, the amount of ice cream in the pup cups has been consistent and generous. However, tonight the pup cups were noticeably smaller—only a few tablespoons of ice cream in each. When we asked about it, the two young ladies at the window said the smaller portion was because we didn’t want the biscuit. We tried to explain that we order it this way regularly, and the portion has never been this small. I even held up my $3 ice cream cone next to the two $2 pup cups to show the difference. Unfortunately, instead of addressing our concern or offering any explanation or apology, they closed the window and shutters without another word. We were left feeling brushed off and disappointed—not just about the portion size, but the lack of courtesy and communication. We understand it’s just a few dollars, and we’re not expecting perfection. But good customer service matters, especially for small businesses trying to thrive in a tough economy. Respectful communication goes a long way in keeping loyal customers coming back. We’re sharing this feedback in hopes that it’s taken constructively. We really do enjoy this place and want to continue supporting it—but a little more care for the customer experience would make a big difference.

Excellent ice cream (they have good soft serve, without the chemical taste that some ice cream shops have), and we've always had friendly service. They have some discounts (such as coupon in Entertainment book, and for the Spokes Up Challenge--ride your bike there and you get a free kiddie cone, if you have the Spokes Up card). The only thing lacking is the atmosphere, not because there's anything wrong with the building or upkeep, but there's just no shade, and since the building is facing south, it gets very hot here. I'd love to see some umbrellas, and a bit of the asphalt removed for greenery and trees--or at least some raised beds with plantings.

Great ice cream and flurries! I come here on my bike in the summer after dinner almost all the time! Almost always has new flavors! Only down side is that they don’t have any WiFi. Other then that, this place is great!

This is a simple soft serve ice cream shop. They’re not going to win any awards for ambiance or decor, but if you’re in the neighborhood and looking for an unassuming place to grab a cone, sunday, or parfait on a warm summer day or night, give them a try. They’re neighborhood throwback.

Matt, Dan, Shelby, Chris…they’re all-stars and extremely nice. They even stock some of the things I request sometimes. Can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ll gladly give them all my money!!

Such a friendly place! They're clearly dog friendly, too, because I have 2 different dog walking clients who will lead me here and beg to come in for a free cookie. I need to patron this place more. It's historic atmosphere and warm, welcoming staff make it a valuable staple in our great city.

Love having this store in my neighborhood! Staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. They carry most essentials you might need in a pinch, from beer and wine to boxed mac n cheese to Kleenex. Prices are higher than a grocery store, but I wouldn't come here for my regular grocery shopping; to me, it's worth the convenience of walking to pick up a few things that I would otherwise need to drive to a larger store to find.

Me and my friends have been here at many times, and every time the owner treats us badly, is really rude and stand off ish- but only when the women come. When the men in our group come by themselves, they have no issues at all. Even the men said our group get treated rudely when the women come with. I don’t what his problem is, but it seems like he truly only likes his old regulars and is never in the mood for non regulars, especially women, to come in. Very inhospitable.its not wonder it’s always dead and NOT vibing when we go.

RUNNNNNN! It stinks, it’s dirty, it’s dark, it’s ugly and the female who was working around 2:30pm on Fri, 26 July 2024 has the nastiest disposition one who works in customer service could have. I walked in, the miserable haggard behind the bar didn’t speak despite the fact that I did several times. I asked for a margarita, she mumbled, “I guess” and some other choice, negative, surly words. I asked her to repeat herself, she repeated the, “I guess” part and honestly, that was enough for me to tell her where she could put the drink, her funky attitude and that hole in the wall that needs disappear. Florentine’s is across the street and has decent food. Go there — go to Timbuktu — go anywhere besides this place.

Great atmosphere. No food, but lots of drinks!

It's a local watering hole (meant in the beat way) and the cutest little dive bar. It has well poured drinks that won't break the bank and is open until 2am. It's super chill, not judgmental, and the type of place where everyone knows everyone else. There is no food but you can bring in outside food.

We just moved to the area couple months ago and stumbled on this place. Lori is our favorite server and we’ve gotten lucky to have her the past few times. If you’re looking for a small bar with inexpensive drinks, pool, and a great atmosphere—this is the place to be. Bob the owner is so sweet and kind, walked up to us during a game of pool to introduce himself. This is now our go to bar and we’re regulars <3

I will start with the positive. The ice cream was really good. It was surprisingly smooth and creamy despite being vegan. I don't normally eat vegan but we had a dairy allergy in the group so we decided to try this place out. This tastes pretty close to real ice cream. The strawberry shortcake ice cream flurry was very tasty. Now for the reason I gave it 3 stars. The service was not great. The girl that took our order acted like we ruined her day by showing up. We ordered 2 strawberry shortcake cakes and one came out and the other took 5 minutes to come out. We were the only ones there so it was not like they were super busy. The place is pretty run down. I couldn't see in the back so I'm not going to say it was dirty but it had me wondering. To top it off one of the flurries we got had a hair in it.

The perfect place to go if you're looking for a non-dairy treat! The ice cream is creamy and delicious & you can't tell a difference. The staff is super friendly also!

This place is amazing!!!! Exceeded my already hopeful expectations! It tastes so delicious! The strawberry syrup tastes homemade, and it's absolutely incredible!!! 🤤 The (gluten free!) cookie dough pieces taste so good and flavorful, I love the little chocolate pieces in them! The vanilla soft serve is delectable! They are so kind, helpful, and accommodating here. I asked about the size of one of the flurries on the menu, and upon realizing it was too large, they offered to put the toppings on a smaller size for me. It was so magnificent. I highly recommend going here—worth the drive 100%. It's very tasty. Whenever you're craving a sweet, frozen treat, go to Tastefull Vegan! It's so refreshing and perfect for hot weather. I will be thinking about this place until I can make the trip back!

Absolutely delicious, creamy soft serve & hard scoop ice cream! Small shop, and small menu, but enough for everyone to find something they like. Good size portions. Outside seating only. Entire menu is dairy free, gluten free, nut free, hfcs free & no artificial colors or sweeteners. Good prices, too. Our family of 4 spent less than $35. Will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a non-dairy treat, this is the place to go. They have something for everyone with all desserts being dairy, gluten, soy, and nut free. As always when trying non-dairy ice cream I was skeptical coming here, but left being pleasantly surprised. Well worth the price for an amazing hand crafted dairy free delight.

Friends of ours who have food allergies had recommended this to us, and we wanted to try it out to see if it was a s good as they said. They were not joking! We had the strawberry shortcake and banana pudding flurries and they were fantastic! The menu is on the smaller side like some reviews have mentioned but it is full of really good stuff! The only thing I would change would be to have size options on the flurries. But, is there really such thing as too much ice cream??

What a gem! My wife and I are visiting from out of state and were so pleasantly surprised to find a completely vegan and gluten-free ice cream shop in Michigan. They offer soft serve, milkshakes, flurries, and more! We ordered the Storm Trooper (Oreo flurry) and S'mores flurry - both were SOOOO delicious - smooth and creamy, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Service was polite and quick! 5+ stars! Go check this place out and support small local business!

Assorted food vendors. Prices are pretty inflated at most places we visited. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the walleye fish and chips meal and the smoked salmon from Fishlads. I enjoyed the boneless wings from the Juju Bird and Brian was friendly. I would definitely skip tacos from Tacos El Cunado. No one was present and I ordered myself on a kiosk. The girl came back after and I asked to add lettuce and tomatoes to the tacos and she said okay. Luckily I looked before leaving and it was only beef in a tortilla. I ordered 2 tacos at 4.00 each and chips and salsa and guacamole for an additional 3.75 and somehow my order was over 17.00 . Food below subpar. I would also skip the lemonade at the Chewie Bitez as it tasted of fake powder lemonade definitely not fresh and ran over $17 for 2 without having any Boba in them, the huge brownie was also days old( dated) and extremely dry. The chocolates from Loves ran $3 per tiny piece but my kids really wanted to try them. Although they were beautiful they were extremely over priced for the quality and size. The kettle corn from Dorothy and Tony's was very good.

Market is always a treat. Great environment, interesting food selection, international variety from entrees to desserts. Vintage Market was fun to shop too!

Very cute place. Not all places was open. I tried oysters for the 1st time. Had sushi,bought some seasons , bon bon and ice cream The ladies at the tea place wrote HBD on my cup.

Its a wonderful location. You can get great foods, wines, spices and more there. A couple bakeries, some restaurants, a wine store a cheese store, a butchery and a fish monger are all some of the things available inside. The prices can be pretty steep in some of the places, particularly with the fish, but thats more or less, the nature of the beast on the whole. Vendors were all great and service with a smile.

Good froyo. Only giving it 3 stars because the store is not very clean. Toppings are a mess, drip trays are filled to the top and everything could use a wipe down.

Soooo good! They have so many good flavors. I love all the chocolate, brownie, and cheesecake options they have. In middle school, my class used to walk here to hang out (with supervision of course). I remember losing a tooth here. The staff made sure I had enough napkins to stop the bleeding. They all always seem like fun people!

Brightly lit and cute sweet shop for specialty desserts, like Gelato, truffles, eclairs, cookies, etc. They also have cocktails and some comfy chairs and several standard seats.

Absolutely delicious! You can sample the Froyo before you pick one out which was great since it was my first time! It was very refreshing after a hot day of walking around downtown. Great variety of toppings too! It was a pleasant experience! I'd highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

What a fun place to visit. If youre not familiar with Sweet Yos you may not know how it works from price to getting your yogurt. We had to ask staff how it worked. You have several selections of yogurt flavors and then a large variety of toppings. The price is by weight which probably didn't work in our favor since we added as many things as we thought would work. Beautiful view the the skating rink from the stools at the front. Enjoyed it enough that we went twice during our weekend in Grand Rapids. Thought it was a little pricey for what we received.

It was my first time trying Froyo and it turned out to be such a fun and interesting experience- it is self serve so you start by choosing your cup size, and then whatever flavored froyo and toppings that you want, at the end you put your cup on the scale and pay by the weight! I loved it and can’t wait to go back!

The lady taking orders was rude and there was a black hair in our kids ice cream and their ice cream came out after ours and the next customers who also had soft-serve ice cream. The lady couldn't even explain sizes of ice cream to us. And baby size ice creams only came in soft-serve vanilla, chocolate, twist or lemon or lemon twist, I mean why can't all the soft serve come in baby sizes? They would make way more money that way. But I'm good a hair in my kids food was enough for us never to go back after paying $20 for 4 small ice creams.

We've always come here to get something sweet. However, this time, they have chosen to do things differently with their sundaes. I stood there for a few minutes waiting on them to finish their conversation as they didn't acknowledge us as we were the ONLY ones standing there at that time! My daughter asked for a vanilla ice cream cone, and they gave it to her in a cup. I asked for a particular sundae, and all of the TOPPINGS were on the bottom of the ice cream. When asked, they looked as if they were not understanding or basically didn't care! RUDE!! I guess I'll be making my own at home from now on. I just don't do rudeness from young people who think it is ok, of they smile with it.

I feel like the quality of the ice cream has gone downhill since new ownership. Today we ordered a lemon twist and a vanilla strawberry crunch. The vanilla ice cream has more of an icy taste than creamy vanilla soft serve, The lemon that is twisted it in is a lemon sherbet which I’ve never seen before usually it’s a creamy lemon soft serve. The strawberry crunch tasted nothing like what I had in mind, the coating tasted like pop rock candy. Maybe you guys can change the vanilla ice cream mix with a more creamier one.

I took my kids out to Cone City today and they loved it, my son ordered the new Cookie Monster Sundae and he thought it was the best sundae ever. Staff was very friendly and quick to give us our orders. We love Cone City, Thank you!

Cone City has the largest selection I have ever seen at an ice cream shop, there's something for everyone. The prices are average for ice cream but the portions are huge. The customer service is good, usually just a nice group of girls the only problem I've seen is the customers, lots of them tend to harass the staff clearly due to the fact that they're just a group of young girls.

Great ice cream sandwiches. Mixed theme atmosphere. - So Fetch $6: Probably the best overall for just about anyone. This takes the favorites of cookies and brownies together for a wonderful experience. It was quite cold. - Toffee Doodle $6: This was a smash hit of a flavor! My grandma made Snickerdoodles when I was a kid and this tasted EXACTLY like that, but maybe a smidge better with the ice cream. I HIGHLY recommend it if you like snickerdoodle. - Service: The lady helping out was super cool and helpful. Our order came out really fast, but there were no other customers when we ordered. There were a few after and things seemed to be running smoothly overall. - Atmosphere: With a mixture of old school children’s Disney theme and darker Nightmare Before Christmas, Deadpool, etc. It’s a bit of a juxtaposition for unique individuals. Not my preference. - Conclusion: They have a nice thing going, but be aware of the theme if you are bringing really little children. Visited on a Saturday night around 6:30pm.

Retro vibes with new tastes. We had three ice cream sandwiches and each was uniquely delicious. We were also lucky enough to visit on a food truck day. The building had a good deal of seating and has been well decked out. Of the handful of ice cream sandwiches, there was a great deal of variety. I would certainly recommend this to all ice cream lovers.

Went there for the first time today. Picked up some of these for my Daughters birthday. To say they were a hit is an understatement. I got 6 different ones, we all shared each others, and none have disappointed!!!

Passing through town on our way back home out of state,we arrived around 6:00pm on a Sunday just after another couple of customers. They had talked to an employee, but we should have noticed the customers left without buying anything. For some reason, Fluff Buckets had closed early and we didn't get the memo. Anyway, the menu looks pretty interesting and we're hoping to try some of these crazy cotton candy flavors. Maybe we'll make it this far north again next year, I suppose we'll have to make it out there before dinner and not after.

My #3 grandson and I were visiting Dwight Lydell Park today(7/8/23) in downtown Comstock Park when we noticed this ice cream parlor, Fluff Buckets. It was a warm day( an excuse to eat ice cream), so we wandered over and ordered a couple of Classic Ice Cream Bars/ black cherry. They were so delicious and a great price. They have a huge menu, and the employees are courteous,friendly, and provide quick service. My new go-to for on the road ice cream. We will definitely be visiting again real soon, and I will add that their building was very sharp looking. There were picnic tables to relax and enjoy your delicious ice cream. Thank you. Truly unique flavors of cotton candy available (like one called “venom”, which is plum flavored at the beginning, but then slightly spicy at the end, and “firework” is which tastes like the red white and blue popsicles)!!! Loved that there were a few dairy-free options, as well as nearly 60 different flavors of cotton candy to choose from 😊

Super nice guy. And very helpful with the big menu. It has tons of options at the same time as being very unique. They have cereal sundays and things as crazy as fruit roll up wraps. Also the ice cream is all local to Michigan. Definitely recommend trying this place

If you’re looking for a sweet treat, head to Fluff Buckets in Comstock Park. As the cotton candy enthusiast I am, I was skeptical about trying a different flavor. But with the direction from quality service, I was over moon about the “Magically Delicious” ( and I was pretty damn happy about the classic too). Needless to say, I will be going back and so should you!

This place blew me and my son away. All five star reviews are genuine. The ice cream tasted so amazing and the cotton candy they throw on top was so sweet. I was expecting standard soft serve ice cream, but this is so much better. Also, never heard of French toast cotton candy

Village Cone Shop is a walk up ice cream stand also serving food. Soft serve and hard scooped ice cream in a variety of flavors. Definitely do not skimp on the serving sizes, with a single having two scoops. Looks like the current owners see the business opportunity of being open beyond traditional summer hours. Yes, people like ice cream all year long. Seating areas are a nice touch. Service friendly. Often a line in the evening.

Went here on a rainy Tuesday but the service was so cheery and bright and the ice cream warmed my heart!! The new owners are the absolute sweetest and deserve all of your $$. Definitely could taste that they use really high quality soft serve ice cream. It was SO CREAMY and delicious. My family got 3 flurries and my mom got a chocolate soft serve. Definitely will be back!!

Good, classic soft serve. They also have hard serve and dole whip. We had a shake and a flavored soft serve cone. The small cone was a generous size! Friendly and quick service. Prices aren’t cheap but aren’t bad either. Lots of options. Nice little patio area with a few tables to enjoy your ice cream.

Very good quality hard ice cream. My chocolate chip cookie dough had lots of mix-ins. Definitely a winner! Excellent, friendly employees.

Absolutely delicious. I always get a brownie sundae when I come here! They have a wide variety of flavors and toppings. The staff are really sweet! Their ice-cream is delicious. They also have a pet bowl outside with water I it so your dog can have a drink which is very useful during the summer. They're so yummy! Last summer, I came around once a week here to get a brownie sundae. They have the best sundaes in Michigan, so delicious. I can't wait to come here again this summer, I miss their yummy ice cream so much. Amazing place!

Great vegan ice cream options at a reasonable price! I appreciated that toppings were clearly marked as vegan. I believe they serve Oatly Soft Serve chocolate, vanilla, or twist. I ordered a medium cup of ice cream and it was huge. I will order a small next time as it was almost too much to finish. The ice cream had great flavor!!

Not a good place for chocolate lovers. The chocolate shakes and soft serve ice cream doesn’t even taste like chocolate- more like vanilla if anything. They don’t sell any hot food either.

Alger Heights is known for local small businesses providing great service for the community and neighbors. Heights Cream adds to this roster by being a super convenient, easily accessible ice cream spot for families, large groups or a quick pick me up. They have a window to order so it’s easy to get an order placed without needing to go inside. Extra important in 2020 climate! We went on opening day and it was as if they had been in business for months. They had multiple dairy free options which is often rare for an ice cream store and is very appreciated by lactose free people! They also had kid friendly options. Recommend neighbors and Alger community come check it out! Feedback is for them to add dipped cones (soft serve dipped in chocolate) as an option to their menu!

I was hoping for a better selection to choose from. I decided on a Pina colada and it was terrible - big chunks of ice from not being blended properly, way too much syrup flavoring and overpriced (imo). It's also very hot in there, I'm not sure they even have a fan let alone AC.

A friend and I decided to enjoy this establishment after dinner this evening. This wasn't my first time here so I knew what to expect. They have amazing customer service. Their prices are unbeatable. And the condiments bar is loaded. I bought the cheesecake froyo, topped with strawberry and cheesecake pieces. It was amazing. The pictures don't do this dish justice. I would highly recommend this establishment for all ages.

One of my fav fro-yo places to come w my friend. We'd come anytime before watching a movie and it's so nice to sit on the lawn right outside. 10/10 price and vibes. Also, it's a set price with unlimited toppings (vs by weight😆)

Elsa’s serves a frosty disappointment rather than a sweet treat. Their selection of ice cream is as mediocre as their paltry array of toppings, which lacks the variety and creativity found at other local spots. The quality of both the ice cream and the toppings feels subpar. Additionally, customer service at Elsa’s is underwhelming, with staff who seem indifferent and unhelpful. Clearly, they have no near by competition.

Gave this place multiple visits to see if it would get better. Sadly it has not. Whoever owns it does not seem to care about their business. More than half the machines are always out of order. Barely anything to choose from. No music playing. Just dark a dreary, no guests. For some reason always has 4 teens working yet no guests. Maybe they could cut the workers in half to save money and fix their machines. Was a bunch of sticky notes on the machines saying out of order tonight, and a sticky note on the door saying CASH ONLY. Be a boss and fix your shop up. The fb page also has not been updated in a year. It is a bummer because it is the only froyo nearby and they could be making a killing if they put any effort in.

This business opened in the location where Sweet Yos had been and uses the same equipment and approach. I used to be a regular customer before that business was sold by the original owner and started downhill. Rather than all froyo, Top This has gelato and a couple of other choices. Unfortunately, the same problems the dispensing machines were having when it was Sweet Yos is still present. I put four different flavors in my bowl - and two of them were not creamy, with a crystalized type look and mouthfeel which was yucky. The price per oz is also pretty dang high. I put no toppings on mine and for what I paid I could have bought a regular container of premium ice cream and had change left over. Sorry I can't recommend - hopefully they will get the machines fixed or otherwise deal with the lack of creaminess in their froyo.
