This bakery is amazing! I’ve been in here plenty of times for their out of this world fresh bread, scones, cookies and more. Recently, I ordered a strawberry cheesecake for my friend’s birthday and it was PHENOMENAL!! Literally the BEST cheesecake I’ve ever had. Their friendly staff was so helpful over the phone and even via email when I needed to edit my order. Thank you Nantucket Bakery for the excellence you provide to the community!

A must stop when we are passing thru Grand Rapids. Drop off savory croissants for our hosts, and pickup the best almond biscotti. All items are delicious fresh, flakey, and the mammoth cookies are great to share.

Visiting the area and found this gem delicious ham and Gruyère croissant super friendly from the moment I walked in owner I assume was super friendly and kind and informative. And of course caught him going above and beyond outside offering to take a picture of the girls lol after you grab the baked goods make sure to stop by next door for some delicious matcha

Yummiest pastries in GR, hands down. I’ll drive 35 minutes to get their almond pastry, no questions asked. Always super friendly/great service as well. Can’t recommend enough.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience warranted one. I placed a pickup order at 1:35 PM and arrived around 1:40 PM. It wasn’t busy—only one person was ordering—but my food hadn’t even been started. I was told it would be 10 minutes, so I waited patiently. After about 15 minutes, I overheard an employee mention my name and say the order was ready. Despite several employees standing around, no one acknowledged me or handed it over. I waited another 10 minutes before asking, only to be told—rather bluntly—that it wasn’t my order. After checking, the employee realized it was mine and set it on the counter without a word and with noticeable attitude. I understand things can get hectic, especially on hot summer days, but I was polite the entire time and just wanted my sandwich. The service left a lot to be desired. I may consider trying the Hall Street location next time.

Neighborhood bakery.The townsie rolls are really good i get one every time we come here. Dont skip out on their lunch like items! If you dine in, they deliver the food to your table which I love because it’s a convenience if you’re having a meeting etc I also favor “yesterdays bakes” its a rack when you walk in full of leftover backgood from yesterday with a discount

Stopped by here a few times while walking. Service is good, everyone is friendly. Always busy when I go by so must be good. I have had coffee here and it’s always been good. Cinnamon rolls are a bit too hard for my liking but still good. Lots of choices, I’ve seen people getting food and it looks delicious. A pleasant place to stop.

Absolutely delish danishes and croissants. The pastry is very well laminated and has great flavor. Quick and friendly service too! Cookies were a bit done in my opinion, but that is just my preference. I prefer cookies with more of a chew and less of a crunch, and unfortunately these cookies are pretty crunchy and a bit bland. They are gorgeous cookies just not the best tasting. Everything else I got was amazing though! I am just fussy about cookies.

Stopped for a coffee on the adjacent R coffee & checked out this store. Very friendly staff, this was my first visit so they explained what a Scone is, ended up getting one & chocolate croissant. Both are amazing, lots of flavor. Will come back for the cinnamon role.

The gluten free pizza was amazing. The gluten free cookie was perfect. And the drinks are delicious! The staff is also super nice and helpful.

I’ve always loved Rise Bakery for their quality and accommodating my allergies, but lately it’s been a bit disappointing. The prices are just way too high for what you get, and unfortunately the staff hasn’t been very friendly in my recent visits. I ordered a simple bagel sandwich (cream cheese and avocado) when the place was empty, and it still took 15 minutes to get it. I want to keep loving Rise, but after a few negative experiences, it’s starting to lose the charm it once had.

Found this place with chatGPT and was not disappointed. Finding a place that cares about what they use and put in their food is very important to me. I was surprised with the flavor with the yumtart and blueberry glazed donut. Highly recommend it. Price was not bad for what you get. Service was great, parking on the side street is easy. If you care about what you put in your body, this is the spot. Gluten-free, vegan, soy-free AND Dye free? I’ll be back for more.

The cookie monster donut might just be the best baked donut I've ever had. My goodness, it was so tasty! And the cookie bar is delicious. I really loved their baked goods, tasty tasty! Came in at about 1p on a Thursday and they still had a relatively good selection to choose from, which I was pleased to see. Thanks y'all!

This place is a MUST visit if you are in Grand Rapids. Everything is gluten-free, vegan, soy free, and dye free! They have rotating flavors of most of the items. Don't skip on the oatmeal cream pie! Or the buckeyes. You pretty much cannot go wrong whatever you order. And of course coffee! The only thing that is not vegan is that they offer cow's milk with coffee. Overall, I highly recommend this place! The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

My matcha was the perfect green which is always a good sign. It tasted just as amazing as it looked. On top of that, the staff provided exceptional customer service, making the whole experience even better.

Our daughter was just diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease and we're doing an extremely challenging elimination diet... this place was a dream come true! We just used Rise to cater cupcakes for a baby shower with 40 people and had a great experience. We ordered the Mocha, Death by Chocolate, Lemon Blueberry, and Carrot Cake flavors. They were packaged conveniently, ready for pick up, the communication back and forth with a few questions we had about allergies was thorough, and the cupcakes were gorgeous and the guests enjoyed them. Jason did our cake & dessert spread for our wedding. From our tasting, to the wedding everything was absolutely perfect. Jason came to our venue and set up the display, it turned out amazing. Everything was a hit & you can tell it’s not made from a box. During this stressful time he made it so easy to communicate & helped bring our ideas to life better than we could have imagined. Hired cakabakery for my wedding on 11/2/2024. We did a wedding cake and then a dessert board consisting of cupcakes, brownies, and cookies!!! They did wonderful!!!! Everyone loved the dessert and our cake turned out beautiful!!!

Went to the farmers market nearby and stopped here today on a whim because it looked interesting from the outside. The term hidden gem is the best way I can think to describe this place. The cupcakes looked amazing and had so many interesting flavors (we ended up getting half a dozen to try them all because we couldn’t decide on just one). I ended up talking to the owner who was super friendly and welcoming. He and the other employee made us feel right at home, like we had known each other for years. He told us they change out the cupcake flavors everyday so you can always try something new. And they were making them from scratch as we were in there so you know that they’re fresh. We tried a cookie on the way out and when I tell you that it was the best damn cookie I’ve ever had in my whole life, that’s not an exaggeration. Still haven’t tried the cupcakes yet, but I’m very excited! I bet they’re going to be just as amazing as they look. I also saw that they do custom cakes. They looked beautiful. I don’t have any events that warrant a cake, but it almost makes me want to go around my friend group to see who has a birthday coming up just to have an excuse to try one.

Old fashioned hole in the wall in all the best ways. Cheapest lunch anywhere and tasty breads. The old folks give great service. The young ones are clueless. I also don’t like black nail polish where clean hands are necessary.

Van's is an iconic GR location that has been in business since the 20s. A quaint vintage shop that makes their donuts, pastries, and breads in house daily. A few tables to sit down and socialize, but the real gold is in the sweet pastries. One of two great donut shops here in town. This one is a favorite. SO GOOD. Prices are reasonable, and the service is spot on. Always greeted with a smile. This is a top notch family owned Grand Rapids business. Highly recommended.

This was a flashback to my childhood! I loved the feel of this little place, everyone was very friendly. The donuts are delicious and reasonably priced. They have a few small tables so you could sit and eat. Cool place, go grab a dozen!

A historic Grand Rapid's staple and fantastic family owned business. They have the best fresh donuts, English muffin bread, and banket in the area! The folks working here are are so wonderful and the prices are the best you will find ANYWHERE near here. A true treasure and located one block over from the Fulton Street Market.

Greatest place around to get bread! Love their pastries even more. however they are much better when reheated if they’ve been out rather than eating after buying. I would love to see if they could, one day, be able to reheat them behind the counter at the bakery so I could have them right then and there. Please for the love of bread— BRING BACK THE RIGHTEOUS CROISSANT! I loved that one! Never have craved a croissant like that before.

This is a lovely spot to visit at the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. The gal today was very friendly and enthusiastic about the breads she was selling. She told us all about the sample bread, Righteous Seed, which is a darker bread with poppyseeds along with sesame and fennel seeds, Oh my! YUM! We decided to to shop a bit and then get a loaf on our way out, since there were several loaves left. When we came back, there was only a half loaf left but it was better than not having any! We shall be back!

They are located inside the farmers market. They recently moved to a smaller station at the front. We visited in the afternoon on a Wednesday. We got an Apricot pastry, ham and cheese, and a loaf of bread. The person running it was extremely nice and friendly! Gave us ideas on stuff to do around town. Will definitely be back!

I love their croisants and love their bread. But I don't like flies... In this photo there are 2 big flies comfortably sitting on pastry and there are about a dozen little fruit flies that are everywhere. I have seen these flies here on several occasions in August and even asked their workers why there were flies sitting on the pastry. It seems people working there are chill and relaxed about insects at their bakery. I guess the workers feel compassionate for the hungry insects... But if seriously, I hope they can fix this, I would be glad to get back one day! They need those blie light zappers killing flies. I haven't seen any!

Loved stopping in here and trying our their churro cruffin and their bread. Both absolutely amazing. Everybody was really sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. We are very appreciative.

I got a multigrain loaf of bread. It's heavy and has a nice chewy crust. The inside is soft and moist. Loved it! Wish I loved closer so I could buy bread here more often.

Fantastic food, a warm and welcoming space, and a very friendly and attentive staff. Stopped for lunch and had the tuna on sourdough. Great flavors, good portions, and a good price. I need to come back and try breakfast. Also bought some cookies and bread to take home.

Stopped in for coffee ☕️ and breakfast. Got the croissant with ham, bacon, egg and cheese. Excellent sandwich.... very filling. Tried the raspberry truffle mocha for coffee ☕️ Very friendly and helpful staff. Always enjoy going here. Great menu choices. Brought home blueberry danishes when leaving. Cinnamon Roll was hard like day old. Should only sell fresh. Sell day old at reduced price so customers know what they get. Was looking forward to a usually a great product. Disappointed

New owners but the same ambiance. They have a variety of pastries, cakes and breads to choose from. And a full-service coffee bar. Nice seating inside and outside. The outside seating in particular nice since it’s not right on the curb of a busy road and has some shady seating usually. My go to here is a dark roast coffee and one of their great scones. My buddy does a pastry. On my last visit I had a non-sweet treat, a focaccia roll with a little butter. Fewer calories and a nice treat.

Love this place! Great service, friendly employees, great atmosphere- Love the outdoor patio- And great food! The servings are large, and the food is delicious! My faves are the chicken salad sandwich, blueberry scones, and the island cookie. The coffee is also excellent.

One star only because the bread, I got the caprese half sandwich with a cup of soup. The flavor wasn’t even that great but still it wasn’t bad. The bread was the best part. $20 including tip for a half sandwich soup combo is a sham in itself. But look at what the so called sándwich they served me looked like. Flat as a pancake, with no substance at all. A tiny little tomato slice? Don’t insult me. Take it off the menu. Never again. If you’re an employee here and you’re not making at least $25/hr put your two weeks in. You can do better.

We've been there two weekends in a row for lunch because it was so good! The pizza and calzone were fantastic! My husband had two different sandwiches and liked them both (man of few words...) I will always crave that pizza dough! Down sides are most of the tables we're dirty each time, the bathroom was dirty each time, and the hightop we sat at was very wobbly and so was one of the stools so we moved once another family left. Minor infractions but it distracted from the experience. I'll definitely be back just for that pizza though!

I am running a Valued Veteran's program locally and I eat Marge's donuts whenever possible... And the donuts are amazing!!! I went in and asked if they would be willing to discount some donuts for our Valued Veteran's program that we have every Friday... Without hesitation they wanted to donate donuts for the Veterans!!! I lived here in Grand rapids for 10 years and always heard about Marge's Donuts Den. This morning, unexpected circumstances took me there. I actually had the privilege of meeting Marge and her very professional and welcoming staff. 50 years of business!! It was so refreshing to walk into an "old school" donut shop, get the BEST donut, coffee and service for under $5.00!! I was amazed at how clean it was and fresh everything is! I don't think I'll ever go to a donut chain ever again! I like to say Thank you Marge and your friendly staff for helping me hit the reset button a on very chaotic morning ! Kindeness is a lot art!

Ordered my favorite macarons for my bridal shower and they were such a hit! Everything was boxed carefully and ready on time for pick up! Great overall experience! The little towers are adorable. Can’t wait to order more for our wedding.

I was very disappointed with the macarons I purchased. They are a guilty pleasure of mine so I ordered a pack of 12 for $30 plus 2 single cookies for my son. I ordered 10 flavors in total and was very disappointed by the lack of flavor. As a baker with a lot of experience baking macarons, it was surprising that such a lovely establishment served such bland cookies. Most of them tasted the same (typical almond flavor of macarons) with no variation aside from the colors. Even the passion fruit cookie was bland and lacked any fruit flavor. The cookies were also hollow…every single one. For anyone familiar with baking macarons this is a big failure! For $2.50 a cookie I think these are way overpriced. These would have been “oops” cookies in my kitchen and wouldn’t be served let alone charged for. While they were pretty, they were also pretty disappointing. These staff was very friendly though and the establishment itself was very charming a cute.

Le Bon Macaron is like stepping into a little slice of French heaven right in Grand Rapids. The atmosphere is charming and calm, and everything about it from the delicate displays to the friendly staff feels thoughtful and warm. The macarons are the real star, of course: perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with a range of flavors that range from classic to creative seasonal options that are always worth trying. You can tell they care about the quality and craft of what they do. Whether I’m picking up a gift or just treating myself, this place never misses. It’s one of those rare spots that makes your day better just by walking in.

I love this shop, and I'm so glad we have delicious macarons in town! I didn't actually think I liked macarons until I tried them here (no one else local does them this well). The only place I've had better was in France. I highly recommend ordering for a wedding or baby shower or stopping in with friends/kids to try all of the great flavors and drinks.

My favorite macarons EVER. I have not found a macaron that beats these. The flavors are so fun and I love how every time you go there is a different options to choose from. They also have amazing lattes. Love this little business they deserve 20 stars!

A gem of a place for coffee and macaron. Molly & Natalie were great, she made the perfect Macchiato , good service. Raspberry chocolate macaron is delicious, when you take that first bite , it feels so good, crisp on the outside and soft inside, right balance of sugar and flavor. Great spot !!

One of the BEST bakeries around Kentwood…. Pricey, yes but the taste of these beautifully crafted cupcakes is soooo worth it…. So scrumptious in a variety of flavors that are rotated. Even my dog loved his pupcake. I rather spend my money here than buying cheap, bland tasting cupcakes at a supermarket.

These were a huge hit! You could taste all the flavors and they weren’t overly sweet. Very much enjoyed by all! The pup cake was swallowed whole And not a sprinkle spared.

Holy cow! These are AMAZING!!! The frosting is the perfect amount of sweetness and cake is so moist. We got a variety of the April Fools cupcakes, plus the two wheat free flavors of the week.

This bakery is outstanding!!! I use this bakery for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. They made two cakes for us and they turned out better than I could have ever imagined!!!! Their service is excellent. They took care of and listened to all of our needs and concerns. Ordering from them was easy and pick up was even just as easy. The cakes turned out great. They tasted good and my guess raved about how they were not dry and we're not over sweet with the buttercream! I will recommend them for any event that you have. They will take care of you and I will be back as a returning customer!!!!

I went all in and got a cake for my son's first birthday. It was perfect! There were so many compliments about how good the cake was! I added my own cake topper + bluey/bingo, and was appreciative that they were fine with that. Super quick communication based off my online order. Thank you!!

I was looking for near by bakeries that make custom cakes and do gluten free and came across this one and decided to give it a try for my birthday and I’m so happy I did! The cake looked perfect it was everything I wanted and it tasted amazing!! You can’t tell it was gluten free, my family loved it and it was reasonably priced

I'm absolutely blown away by both the quality of the cake and the speed at which it was prepared. The entire ordering process was incredibly easy and everyone who I worked with was so friendly and accommodating. My daughter helped design the cake and Sara's Sweets nailed it (unicorn with seashells and mermaid tails). If you want a delicious cake that will wow a crowd, look no further. We will certainly be back, five stars!

First time i tried to come here all they had was 6 hard cookies left in the case. I purchased them anyways because my family and i were eager to try. 2nd time was trying to go again today. Same thing 2 muffins and a cookie and the guy walking around bored. You might as well clothes for the day. Wouldn’t come here again & don’t recommend.

This is the only donut shop in town that my mom will go to and she is a LOYAL customer. Great donuts, coffee, and a decent sized area to dine in if you would like. Good variety of donuts and my nephew and niece are always asking about Sprinkles! I love the cherry glazed, peanut butter and maple donuts here. Highly recommend!

Stopped in on the way though town to try their doughnuts. Guy behind the counter was friendly and patient while kids picked theirs. They had some different varieties. Overall they were good, but not enough to go out of the way for. They were mostly yeast doughnuts and the cake ones weren't very dense. Great filling on the custard ones though! Fritter flavor was pretty good but I prefer them denser and chewier. Great if you like light and fluffy doughnuts though! $1 to $1.25 each. Extremely small parking lot though, use caution.

This is THE BEST bakery in town, and i have tried almost all of them by now. I go here every week and everything here is fantastic! The best bagels, bread, and donuts i have ever had and they also have day old stuff that is cheaper and a great way to get good bread to freeze! Plus, the staff/owners are so incredibly nice and friendly, it blows me away how nice they are! 12/10, must visit!

I went off season (no outdoor activities involved) and was so impressed by this little gem in Grand Rapids. The donuts were beautifully soft and so satisfying. Additionally, everyone at the wine cellar was so friendly and so helpful. Though very sweet, I loved their recommendations, and I’m so glad I bought bottles to share of their peach Spumante. They did offer a discount if you buy 4+ bottles. Also, loved hearing that their wines support local MI farmers as all the fruit used for the fruit wines comes from MI farms.

Robinette’s never disappoints! The apples are always crisp and fresh, the cider is the best around, and the warm homemade donuts are worth the trip alone. I also love stopping for a wine tasting,it’s such a fun and cozy experience. The employees here are truly wonderful. On my last visit, I couldn’t find a specific apple variety, and one of the staff not only walked me right to them but also took the time to explain the differences between a few others I might like. That kind of thoughtful service makes you feel so welcomed.♥️♥️♥️♥️

Mid-sized apple orchard. They have a few children’s activities but not as much as some of the others in the area. We did the horse drawn wagon ride and that was very nice. The petting zoo was just a few animals in individual pens. The donuts line was way too long. It seems they could have a better process for it. No other lines outside of that. They only had one type of apples for U-pick and it was $25 per bag. We couldn’t bring the children in with us for the wine tasting. There was a small slide and a jumping pillow. The jumping pillow was for children over 3 so we didn’t participate as one of our little ones was only 2. It seems like a great place to spend an afternoon if you live in the area however, not exciting enough for our annual fall weekend trip.

Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery was the perfect weekend spot for my family. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt open, clean, and well cared for. We brought our dog along and were pleasantly surprised that he was allowed to join us outside. The outdoor seating area was beautiful — surrounded by trees and open space, it made for a peaceful, relaxing meal. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious, though a bit on the salty side for our taste. Still, the flavors were fresh and satisfying. The combination of great service, scenic surroundings, and family-friendly policies made this a memorable visit. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Robinette’s to other families (especially those with dogs) looking for a relaxing place to enjoy good food, local wine, and a beautiful outdoor setting.

Honestly a little disappointed. Just seems your whole business is a little dishonest. Your pies packed in your boxes are just GFS pies and your coffee here, while good, is marked with a wonderful from Michigan sticker making it seem local. It’s from Wisconsin. Again, great coffee but the negative review is more so with how you’re marketing yourself with less than honesty and it seems a bit shady.

It’s so fun to be in the city and drive about 10 min and be at an apple orchard. This place is busy busy on weekends but that’s how it goes. If you don’t like crowds, don’t come on the weekends. They have the best tasting donuts and cider and yummy chocolate wine! We go cherry picking in the summer and their nectarines are to die for! The ROBINETTES are so friendly and will answer any question you might have. They’ve been around since 1911 and hope they will be around for another 100 years. Love you guys

We stopped in for breakfast on a Friday around 10:15. We both ordered the breakfast scrambles. Both were very generous portions with fresh ingredients. Table service was prompt; the server was extremely friendly and helpful. Great meal.

Just ordered a cake from a great guy named Josh for my daughters 36th birthday. He was amazing! I can't wait for my daughter to get this birthday cake. I'm in Florida and he totally took care of me and was an amazing young young man. I have no idea how old he is but he is fantastic! Hey Josh, you're the best! 🩷🩷🩷

Extremely disappointed. Arnies used to be my favorite restaurant. I was so upset when they changed it to beer city bread company. Arnies was such a classic and this is coming from someone currently in her 20s. When they added a small restaurant to the bakery I was so excited. We came right when they opened and I got the same order I used to always get. The cheese soup used to be creamy and was a very light orange color served with saltine crackers and bacon bits and in Feb it was a bright unnatural orange with bread. No bacon bits or saltine crackers and the taste went way downhill. The fries are also no longer crinkle cut. We kind of forgot about the disappointment and came back today and the soup was 1000x worse. It was so liquidy and even more orange and looked like it had been sitting out separating for a long time. I wouldn’t even try it this time. Also, this time and last time, the 4 packs of cupcakes were half vanilla and half chocolate and we don’t like chocolate so we didn’t get one like we were planning. PLEASE bring back the real Arnies. So many people want it back it’s foolish not to.

Arnie's will ALWAYS be one of our favorite restaurants in Grand Rapids!!! We've been eating here since the original The Old Mill days in Rockford and have enjoyed all the locations over the years. Now under the newer name, Beer City Bread Co. we are so thankful they've kept the ol' favorite menu items we've loved since the last 40 years! Please don't remove the Scandinavian Shuffle or the delish Riviera Salad loaded with nuts and strawberries!!! We had the opportunity to meet Arnie this week and are very excited to try out the Old Mill in Rockford along the trail. To end this review...note that Amy is always our server and she is the best!!! All summer, I have been bringing different groups of friends and I see that they are now bringing friends too. It's the great good and Amy! She's always in a happy mood, accurate with our order and makes coming to the Leonard location fun!!! Great hire!!!

My family and I love Arnie’s. It’s a tradition to do a fun Friday treat. Besides the delicious snacks inside, they have made two amazing cakes for us. One was ducky theme for a baby shower and the other a first birthday lion cake! The waitresses are awesome and work so hard to give you a great experience. I really miss the Arnie's of the past. This is a tiny cafe with a large bakery. You can still order several of the classic Arnie's sandwiches. That, plus the bakery items still existing and available to buy will bring me back.

Egg was overcooked veggies were raw service was extremely bad as a single person who arrived after us was seen by his server 3x more than our party was. For grandrapids a very low tier bakery and even lower on the breakfast food scale.

We are so happy we chose Sandy’s Donuts for our wedding dessert! The donuts were incredibly fresh, delicious, and a huge hit with our guests. We selected a variety of flavors—chocolate cake, cinnamon sugar, glazed buttermilk, and blueberry yum yum—and every single one was amazing! Our guests loved having such a fun and unique dessert option, and many of them went back for seconds (or thirds!). Not only did Sandy’s provide the perfect sweet ending to our wedding, but we also started our wedding day with coffee and donuts from them, which made the morning even more special. Probably the best donut I've had in a VERY long time! A great assortment of flavored coffee as well. I was there around 9:30, the line was long and by 10:30 the donuts were dwindling...so get there early!

The coffee's and donuts are some of the best I've ever had. My husband and I completely enjoyed it and so did our three little girls. He also purchased a package of cookies we all love too. It was our first time there and we were very impressed. We plan on coming back very soon.

AWESOME !!! Truely GREAT service!! My son is 'donut officianato' and every year for his birthday we "do" donuts. We've had them from different places all through out the years. He's mid twenties and we still do this. He just had another birthday and the staff was super helpful in helping me pick this year's cache. He loved the chocolate fritter with custard and chocolate (of which they are known for)! Thank you for taking your time with us. We got a great mix. I told the staff how we celebrate this way and they even threw in a t-shirt for him. HE LOVED IT !!!!! As for the donuts. . . The 'officianato' says. . "the donuts are bomb!" He said "these donuts were in the top two of all the years". My husband and I, both think the donuts were Waaaaayyy better than (KZOO's) Sweetwater Donut Mill. The place is super cute and the donuts are just delicious! So many flavors to choose from! My only suggestion would be adding some signs or a menu for the donuts. The place is always busy - because their donuts are truly amazing, so sometimes we stand in line for so long and we still take a hot minute to order because we have to ask about the flavors. Some staff are great but others not so much, so it can be stressful and intimidating to ask about all the flavors.

My favorite so far is the raspberry filled but there's still so much more I'd like to try. I also got the wildflower miel with hot honey. Everything was delicious. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in GR. ✨

Field & Fire Cafe is a cool little spot just outside of downtown Grand Rapids. They’ve got a solid menu with great options for both breakfast and lunch, and the food was really good. It wasn’t too busy even on a weekend, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. They also serve coffee and have a nice selection of desserts if you’re just looking for a quick treat. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and want something a bit more low-key with quality food.

My friend recommended this place and it lived up to her praise! Went here to get breakfast before hitting the road. I got a biscuit sandwich (much smaller than anticipated and different kind of biscuit than I was expecting coming from the South, but it was good!). What blew me away were their pastries!! SO good. Definitely worth a visit.

Came in to get some work done over lunch and was delighted with the quality of service, food, and the noise levels in the cafe. I got the falafel sandwich, which was delicious and the perfect portion size for lunch. My girlfriend got the vegan skillet and had a little left over, although she thoroughly enjoyed it. Their wifi was great, even with plenty of other patrons being on their computers as well. The whole ambiance was clean and welcoming. I suggest trying their seasonal mango lemonade, it was tart and refreshing.

Absolutely Spectacular! As a foodie raised in Northern California, I have a deep appreciation for menus built around fresh, locally sourced ingredients—and the new lineup at Field & Fire has quickly become my latest obsession. The standout for me? The chicken and wild rice soup—a broth bursting with flavor, crisp vegetables, and a delicate herb infusion. I loved it so much I bought a quart to take home! Now, I find myself stopping by weekly just to see what new creations are coming out of the kitchen (pro tip: get there early—when the corn soup dropped, it sold out in a flash, and I’m still chasing it!). Hats off to the chef and the entire team for bringing bold, inventive flavors to the table. Field & Fire is raising the bar—and I can’t wait to taste what’s next.

Walked into this nearly full Cafe this morning. First time there and could tell many seemed like regulars. A good sign for someone in town visiting. The wife and I ordered a Matcha Latte and Cortado, respectively, and were very impressed. They were delicious. Will try their brunch/lunch next time! Highly recommend!

Great variety of delicious from scratch food and bakery items. The staff is wonderful offering suggestions if you are undecided. Fast service and i haven’t had anything I didn’t enjoy. First time going to this place! Syriniti, was the cashier and was so sweet and recommended I try the iced coffee with oatmilk and her recommendation was so great! Also got the churro cruffin for our kiddos and it was yummy! Definitely will be back.

Mary sold us a moldy wedding cake and refused to make it right after she was provided proof of the cake being moldy. She confirmed it to be mold and refused to make it right. Mary stated "its just a little mold. It won't make you sick." I informed her I was recording the call and already contacted the health department. She frosted over the mold. This resulted in multiple people acquiring food poisoning. $445 WASTED. Terrible customers service, argumentative, combative. BUYER BEWARE!

I reached out to Connie's Cakes for a last minute order of mini cupcakes for a surprise engagement party I was throwing for a friend. They were able to accommodate my request and the cupcakes were delicious!

We had an amazing experience with Connies Cakes! At our cake tasting, we had an idea of what we wanted but weren't 100% and then Jennifer goes into the back for about 5 minutes and creates this beautiful cupcake that's exactly what we wanted. We were so amazed at her talent and knew this is who we wanted for our wedding desserts! Their cake and cookies are so delicious! They definitely have a higher quality cake because they are even delicious as left overs too. And so many of our guests at our wedding asked who our dessert baker was because they loved their desserts too! We love the beautiful cutting cake and cupcake designs that they made for our wedding, and thank you Jennifer for setting it all up at our venue!

What really blew us away was receiving a complimentary cake for our first wedding anniversary (talk about service that goes above and beyond!!!) Having a replica (flavor) of our wedding cake to enjoy on our first wedding anniversary made it all the more special! What a wonderful way to make your clients feel appreciated and celebrated, even after the big day has come and gone! I will definitely be back!

I had such a fantastic time at the sugar cookie decorating class! The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole experience fun! The class was well-organized, and all the supplies were provided, making it easy to dive right in. I learned so many helpful techniques, and my cookies actually turned out beautiful (and delicious!). Whether you’re a beginner or just looking for a fun, creative activity, I highly recommend this class. Can’t wait to come back for another class!

We used DreamScape Desserts for our July wedding and would recommend them to anyone! They had a to-go tasting option that allowed us to narrow down our choices, which was so helpful! We ended up ordering a 3 tier cake (plus kitchen cake) with each layer a different flavor (vanilla latte, berry delight, and strawberries and champagne. They also were able to do gluten, egg, and nut free cupcakes for us as well. They delivered and decorated the cake for us. The cake was soo good! There was a guest who enjoyed it so much they had 5 pieces! We also had a few pieces left over to take home! Communication was fantastic through the whole process and they made everything so easy!

We chose DreamScape Desserts for our wedding and our wedding cake was not only delicious but the design we picked turned out absolutely beautiful!! We picked up our mini cupcakes and cake the day before our wedding and everything held up perfectly and tasted amazing. The different flavored mini cupcakes were delicious, absolutely adorable and were a huge hit with our guests! We are so happy we chose them to add a sweet touch to our big day.

Oh my goodness… absolutely delicious. We catered Dreamscape for our wedding and the mini cupcakes were to die for. They also did a beautiful (and yummy) job with my husband and I’s personal cake. The mini dessert table was a hit, and no one is going to do it better than these folks. We highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

We ordered our dream wedding cake from dreamscape desserts, and they did an AWESOME job!!! We had the most beautiful cake and cupcakes, and it was all within budget!! We were quoted over $1,000 for the same wedding cake from another baker, and dreamscape desserts were able to provide us with seriously delicious cake for several hundred dollars cheaper. We also had better customer service than with the other baker we were initially thinking of going with - very grateful we went with dreamscape. They were very helpful in picking out cupcake flavors and choosing design colors to match our event. They did beautiful work and it tasted delicious! 10/10

M & M bakery is a joke purchased a cake for my daughter’s birthday. When we picked cake up looked great got home put it in the fridge. When we took it out the fridge it had fell apart. Due to it being the holiday weekend wasn’t able to bring cake back till 1/2 owner was not in. Owner called back to tell me it was something we did and he’s not going to refund. Poor customer service and will never use them again

This is my favorite new bakery, I came here because a few years ago my brother ordered a strawberry tres leches cake for my nieces birthday and it was hands down the most amazing cake I've ever tasted in my life. I ended up ordering two cakes and 24 cupcakes and everything was amazing. I love that they have so many different flavors to choose from and they even offer filled cupcakes. Everyone at the party talked about how delicious everything was. Their buttercream frosting is so good, I'm definitely recommending this bakery to anyone looking to buy any cakes and I'm NEVER going to a Meijer for my cakes again as long as this place is open. I forgot to take pictures of the other cake and cupcakes but everything was super cute.

Beyond grateful for M&M bakery I totally did not see there business hours my fault and missed the lockup time for my sons 18 b day cake … they lady called me back and came back to the store so I could pick up my cake!!! To top it off this cake is so moist and delicious 100/10 … best costumer and cake I have experienced.

Picked up a cake today that i ordered for my son's birthday i was so impressed with the cake it was so cute. My son wanted a GTA 5 cake and that is exactly what he got, so thanks again. I will be back for more cakes. August 14th 2020 got another cake from them and its perfect it made me tear up because they did such an amazing job for my sons special 13th Birthday. If u look at there photo's its the level up cake with a video game image on the front of it thats the 2nd cake they made for me. Please check this bakery out they are so wonderful. I love that they have reserved parking for superheroes, but I have to be honest in my review. The cheesecake is over priced for its quality and quantity at $4/slice to start. I have had cheesecake just as good or better from Wal-Mart and Meijer. They also seemed high pressure as I didn't have any time to look at their offerings without the cashier standing right next to me. They also don't offer any multi-slice discount or anything like that.

Doughnuts made fresh to order, nice and hot! The dough was delicious and there were lots of options. Staff were kind too! Our favorite was the lemon raspberry !

The store staff were very kind and answered any questions we had. Lots of different flavors and the donuts are prepared in front of you. The donuts themselves are fresh and soft, although not particularly special. This is a good place to stop at every once in a while for a sweet treat. We ordered the Campfire, Blueberry Cheesecake, Salted Cookie Butter, Samoa, Vanilla Latte, and Cookies and Crème.

I ordered two dozen donuts from Bros Dough for a big event, and they were a huge hit! They disappeared within minutes, everyone was raving about how fresh and delicious they were. Highly recommend for any gathering or special occasion!

Stopped in at the end of July 2025 for the first time and I left with warm freshly frosted donuts with my choice of toppings! I was expecting a standard doughnut bakery but this was fancier than that! They were crisp on the outside soft and warm on the inside. I’m a new fan. No gluten free options but I try to eat low gluten and made an exception for this. Delicious.

Love's catered the dessert for our wedding and I'm so happy they did! We knew from the start of planning that we wanted to serve ice cream for dessert, but we weren't sure we would have room in the budget for someone to scoop on site. Just two weeks before our big day, we reached out to Love's for a quote and booked right away! Maya was so easy to work with and thoroughly answered ALL of my questions. The guests loved the ice cream and wished we had booked them for longer, so they could go up for seconds! Booking with Love's was one of our favorite decisions we made!

We chose Love's to be the dessert option at our wedding this past May and it was such a hit! Their team was extremely helpful and responsive leading up to the big day and made hiring them a breeze. On the actual wedding, they were so professional and fun and the ice cream is always amazing! Our guests have not stopped talking about how delicious it was and how fun it was to have the ice cream cart there. Highly recommend using Love's for your next event. :)

While visiting family, we went to the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. After dinner, we stopped at Love’s Ice Cream & Chocolate for dessert. They have vegan options as well as regular ice cream. The vegan Coconut Fudge Ripple was excellent and the vegan Dark Chocolate is fantastic! Our family had regular ice cream and tells me that it is also fantastic. I highly recommend Love’s Ice Cream & Chocolate.

We had an ice cream sundae bar at our wedding a few weeks ago and it was such a hit! As the bride, I was so busy dancing and chatting that I completely missed it and didn't eat any, however, I know a lot of people did and loved it! They were super easy to work with, communicative, and I thought the pricing was extremely reasonable. I would recommend Love's to anyone!

Love's provided the dessert for our wedding last weekend, and we were so glad to have them! The team was kind, and responsive to communication. The ice cream choices were allergy friendly, and everything was delicious!! Plus, the cart is so cute! We could not be happier!

Love's was probably a top ice cream shop I've ever been to! Their ice cream was creamy and sweet, saff were sweet and listened well, and the wait was barely a minute or two. HIGHLY, recommend the waffle cone, and the peanut butter monster ice cream.

Best ice cream in Grand Rapids. Not only that but the staff is super nice and helpful. They are super informed on the product they serve. Everything is made in house dye free allergen friendly and ethically sourced which is very important to me because I am gluten free and wasn’t restricted to what ice cream I could or couldn’t eat.

I stopped by to try some of their baked goods and settled on an assortment of pastries. They have a good variety of items for sale with friendly employees. The coffee cakes and pecan rolls are especially delicious, but you shouldn’t ignore the banket either. The donuts are also excellent. It’s good that I live so far away; otherwise it would be too tempting having such a nice bakery nearby. I’ll definitely be back.

Lovely little bakery! The staff is always so friendly and the baked goods never disappoint me. If you're not sure what to get, or like me always try to look for a menu before hand due to being indecisive, I have two delicious suggestions. First, the first visited I got the Date cookie! Which is sweet and a little savory! Second, another of my favorites has been the carrot muffin, which was spongy and had baked nuts on the inside, so for anyone who has allergies I would ask and clarify! Overall ive never had any issues or problems with this bakery and if you're looking for reasonably priced sweet treats, or a little snack to go, give this bakery a try!

We are staying at The Castle for spring break and saw they were close by so we decided to get donuts, cinnamon rolls (get the peanut butter one for sure), and some cookies. The person helping us at the counter was fantastic and baked goods are amazing! I didn't get pictures of everything before they were gobbled up

Great bakery full of great baked goods. The best donuts I've found in GR, especially their custard filled. Everyone is always friendly too. I would love to see a couple allergen-friendly options in the future so my wife can eat there but if that isn't an issue for you this is the place to be.

Best apple fritter hands down. The chocolate cream filled donut missed the mark. The cream filling had a garlicky taste to it. Great for garlic bread, bad for a donut. Definitely would come for donuts again but likely only the apple fritter

The donuts, apple fritter and carrot cupcakes were delicious. There is a huge selection including cakes, cupcakes, donuts, eclair, bread loafs, buns and more. If you have a sweet tooth and are in the area you'll be happy you stopped. It is carry out.

I got multiple things here. All of it was fried flavorful goodness. She was very knowledgeable about all of the products and answred all of my questions.

Cute, but small space. The baristas were very quick considering how many people were there when I went! I had a simple mocha and it was good. I did not try any food, but they seem to have a good collection of snack items.

The atmosphere is very cute. But, when ordering, I was shocked to learn that they do not have brown sugar. Then, when I asked to use the banana syrup in a latte instead of a matcha the barista just said "we don't use speciality syrups in other drinks than the special ones." I found this to be disappointing because if I'm paying for the syrup, why can't I switch out the base? When we got our drinks, which was a good wait time, we were just disappointed. My partner's chai latte tasted watered down and almost like chamomile. My pumpkin latte just tasted like oatmilk with a slight hint of pumpkin. If I am paying $7 for a drink, I want it to taste like what I am ordering. Additionally, walking away from the barista who took my order I overall felt judged for even asking for different drinks. I don't doubt that there are drinks that taste good, but for my first impression of the place I was underwhelmed.

One of the best coffee shops in Grand Rapids. Their olive oil cake is delicious, but also highly recommend grabbing a croissant next door and getting a cafe miel here. It’s usually busy so arrive early to grab a spot!

I truly love this little café. The staff are always so friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. I've made sure to make time to stop in on my way to work. Parking is very convenient!

Super friendly, attentive, and informative staff from start to end. When trying a new place I like to start with their espresso and then usually a pour-over. Best espresso I've had in a month! And they recommended I try an iced pour-over, which was also really good! In fact so good that I bought some of the beans (from Little Wolf). Booth and bar seating inside. Outside seating in the front and a little in the back.

My office got a bunch of donuts from Cindy’s for an event and they were delicious. There was a good variety, and the texture was just right. The old fashioned donut I tried had just the right combination of crunchy and cakey textures, and the flavor was not excessively sweet. This is an excellent choice for getting donuts.

Stopped here for the first time to grab donuts for the office and the two ladies behind the counter were super friendly and helpful. You can tell it’s a community spot the way they knew all the people coming and going. It was busy but they kept people moving through the line, donuts were all delicious.

Cindy's reminds me of the classic donut shops in San Francisco. The donuts are pretty good and worth a try. I only give 4 stars because their glazed cake donut could be a little sweeter for my taste. But a great spot and this might be your favorite donut shop in GR.

Got 6 donuts and breakfast croissant sandwich. The donuts were delicious. Fluffy and very tasty. The breakfast sandwich was also really good. Will definitely buy here again!!

We gave Cindy’s a try when we were leaving on our hotel early in the morning. My daughter who is a very picky eater, LOVED her donuts. There was a great selection and the iced coffee was delicious!!! VERY REASONABLY PRICED!!!! Friendly staff also 💜 We will be back when we are in town next!

I was in the area for a work trip. It was late afternoon when I decided to stop here for donuts before I left. I asked for an apple fritter, blueberry cake, and an old fashioned. The service was great and I believe the owner checked me out and gave me an extra donut. It was only $3.15 for what I asked for! The donuts were delicious and I'd stop here again if given the chance. I saved some donuts for the day after and they were still amazing. I also want to mention that there is a $5 minimum of you do want to pay with card.

This is a great mom & pop place that has some really good donuts! They pair well with a cup of coffee. The service is outstanding, and the price is reasonable. When you want good donuts in Kentwood, Cindy's Donuts is the place you want to go.

Stopped here on Mother's Day for the Rak special brunch. Wow! Very impressed with the food, the service, and the ambience of the place. The Elephant mural was a beautiful touch — it added a sense of culture and story telling to the atmosphere. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavour and presented with care. The staff were attentive and welcoming, making us feel special from the moment we arrived. It was a perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day — we’ll definitely be back!

We came here during brunch time on a Saturday. There were plenty of seatings, so you shouldn’t have to worry about reserving a table. You are able to do so if you want to though. Food took a bit, but not too long. Everything was tasty. Crab fried rice, and the tofu volcano was my fav. The mango sticky rice was delicious.. Tasted like the actual dessert.The cheesecake was pretty good too. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a place to dine at the downtown market!

The pad Thai was very good, I like that you can choose your spice level (1-5). I added fried tofu, which made the dish even better. I would have liked more vegetables in it, as there seemed to be just a few. I will add more to my leftovers at home, but will also come back here to eat and try other items.

I really like this place for weekend brunch bc it always has walk-in seating and food comes out relatively fast. My favorite dishes are the tofu volcano, hmong sausage, and crying tiger steak. Also recommend getting the mango sticky rice cocktail. The only downside to this place is that prices are steep for Thai food, but the ambiance and food are worth it if you’re looking to treat yourself.

The host ! Couldn’t get her name. Young lady with a pone tail. She direct me and my friend to the table nicely. Daniel our server promptly told us about the level of spice and he knows about it! Recommend us the Thai Tea. Amazing atmosphere

Sooo beautiful inside! Our server, Emily, was outstanding! Led us through their impressive menu options while also recommending her favorites. We started with the iced Thai tea, moved to spring rolls, which were phenomenal with their homemade peanut sauce! We enjoyed chicken lettuce wraps & red curry for our entrees with a side papaya salad. Food was delicious, portions were large & atmosphere was lovely! We’ll definitely be returning!

This Thai restaurant is delicious and the owner is knowledgeable of dishes and drinks! I highly recommend the Crab Cheese Nachos, Soft Shell Crab Curry, and the Thai Ice Tea.

We were visiting a family member who recently moved to GR and he loves boiled bagels so we came in here after seeing the sign. It smelled so good when we walked in! We opted for the frozen bagels as we were from out of town, but our family member chose fresh rosemary bagels and the aroma from the take home bag was wonderful. The lady working was so nice and even gave our family member a complimentary bagel as a welcome to GR gift! I know he’ll be frequenting this shop, I can’t wait to come bag and buy more bagels!

Does your bagel shop offer teriyaki takeout???? Because GR Bagel does!!!! On Thursday nights be sure to try this. We ordered a salmon teriyaki, vegetable and tofu teriyaki, and chicken yakitori platter. They were AMAZING. It was clearly all scratch made, which made it feel healthy and fresh. For a weeknight dinner it is a perfect option if you’re too busy to want to cook for yourself but still want to have a healthy meal. Our favorite was the chicken yakitori, but everything was EXCELLENT. We will be ordering our takeout every Thursday now 👍.

First time visit to their new location. I loved the atmosphere! Their bagels were the closest I have found to real New York bagels. Real bagels are supposed to be crunchy on the outside, not bready like most bagels are in West Michigan. The cream cheese was a little tart for me, but was very fresh and homemade. Finally, if you like scones be sure to try one there, they were great!

Great experience. The bagel sandwiches were amazing, not overly stuffed and messy, the eggs were in beautifully layered sheets. Their espresso machine, grinder, beans and milk were extremely high quality and produced a delicious cup of cappuccino. The staff was very kind, talkative and welcoming.

We love GR bagel! The owners are fantastic, the bagels are amazing, and literally I’ve never had a better scone. Definitely our new favorite place to stop after church on Sundays...we recommend it to all our friends!

With a single speaker blasting music and a somewhat limited selection of bagels, GR Bagel provides the walking-distance replacement for when Wolfgang's has an hour+ wait time. Although everything is handmade, I can not yet justify the price tag attached. The saving grace for this startup is the singular type of hot coffee. Delicious. I think I'll wait a little while before returning so the espresso bar has a chance to settle in and provide more things to try. I'm looking forward to seeing what GR Bagel becomes, but for now all I can see is the potential.

Broad range of products, always well stocked! I’m always finding new things! I personally love all of the fresh herbs, wide selection of candies, spices, tea, coffee, cheese! I also reach for fresh baked bread and meats like goat and lamb. Prices are very reasonable for the convenience.

8-1-25 I had an unfortunate experience with one of the staff members in the meat department—a shorter gentleman with a beard. When I politely asked about the ingredients in their homemade sausage, his only response was, “Meat.” While I obviously expected meat to be included, I was hoping for a more informative answer regarding seasoning or additives. His dismissive attitude quickly escalated, and he even brought out additional staff in a confrontational manner, which I found very unprofessional. I want to emphasize that my issue is not with the owner—I had the pleasure of meeting him when he first took over and he seemed like a genuinely kind and committed individual. However, if this type of customer service continues, it could seriously impact the business’s reputation. I’m open to removing or updating this review if the owner addresses the situation appropriately.

I love this store! Has a large variety of food from different parts of East and Middle East.

I love shopping here!!! Everything is well stocked and incredibly fresh. The deli and fresh bread is definitely where it shines! The store has a wide variety of specialty items. The tea and coffee are a must, seriously!! I would hands down prefer to shop here rather than Meijer or Walmart. The staff is much friendlier, the produce is fresher, and the store is much cleaner and more organized.

Whenever we visit GR. We make sure to stop at Mediterranean Island to get HALAL meat and other groceries. Halal meat Section includes Lamb, Goat, Beef and chicken meats. Marinated chicken & Beef shawarma is also included. Apart from that the Deli carries a variety of ready to eat food items. Halal Turkey meat & beef Bologna is available as well. Although the lady who works at the deli carries quite an attitude and can learn a bit or two for better customer service. Great selection of juices, snacks, curry spices/sauces etc . A really nice store for Indian/Pakistani/Arab groceries which cannot be found at other conventional stores. Unfortunately, The only downside about them is carrying Pork products in meat, Frozen section. etc. It would have been so much better if they didn't carry any of it as there are a million other stores carrying that.

We checked this out on the recommendation of friends. We enjoyed seeing foods from the Mediterranean region and purchased some because the prices were reasonable. If you want a half aisle's worth of olive oil choices, this is your spot. I was also informed you can buy green coffee beans and roast them any way you like when they are roasting. We'll be back.

What alot of variety to browse through and try something new.....and especially interesting since am not familiar with these items.. I have been here before..and especially come for the stuffed grape leaves and falafel.... the kibbeh is a delicious type of meat snack...very good!! So many new things to try.. Very nice friendly employees.. Love to come here when in Grand Rapids area.

Everything here is fantastic! We tried the sugar pie and I would fight a grizzley to get another. The staff is amazing! The store is clean and well decorated. The only con is that it's not cheap but this is definitely one of those situations where you get what you pay for. Just go but some sweats.

The chocolate was absolutely amazing and some of the best I have ever had! The ice cream was also fantastic and they had a wide variety of delicious items, ranging from truffles, to ice cream, to chocolate pastries and cookies. I will definitely be coming back to buy more and I highly recommend stockpiling on sweets when you stop by, because you will not want to run out of it!!!

The most decadent little dessert shop in all of the land! I have yet to find anything like it, anywhere really. The owner is fantastically friendly, making each visit feel like a casual chat with a friend. Mokaya is my “go to” spot for grabbing a 6 pack of chocolates for birthday gifts, along with a 2 pack for myself, of course. Everyone is always delighted to receive them. The refrigerated desserts are divine as well. Highly recommend the crème brûlée. As for chocolates…get the Thai basil! Or the cayenne pepper! Or the cherry key lime! You must try them all :)

This was a great opportunity to purchase a (tres leches cake.) The famous "3 milk" cake. This is my second time purchasing this type of 🎂! Delicious as the 1st time!!!

I went there to buy a tres leches cake at 8 am on a Sunday and I was shockingly surprised to find that they also have homemade Mexican food. I got costillas verdes de puerco, barbacoa, birria, asado rojo, cebollitas, rice, guac, and salsa. Everything was fresh and so delicious. It’s a hidden gem.

UPDATE: Bigger floor plan! Very nice they opened it up even more! Nice little market right on burton! Never knew they make fresh Tacos and other goods to go until recently! Chorizo and Asada (Steak)Tacos are my favorite here! Everytime I come in, they're all nice and helpful! Very clean and organized! :) Many Bakery items aswell! Fresh produce too!

Recommend by a coworker for best chiccharones. Best I've had since I left Houston. The smell when you walk in is AWESOME! Boucoup pastries. That steam table is loaded with fresh cooked food. I will definitely be a weekly customer. 😋

Came in for a Tres Leches cake after hearing they were good. I wasn’t disappointed! It was nice walking into a bakery at 10am on a Saturday and getting what I needed, instead of worrying they’d be sold out (looking at some of GR’s other popular bakeries here). Staff were helpful and attentive. The fruit on the cake was fresh and crisp (peaches were canned but this wasn’t a flaw for me - this way they don’t brown like a fresh peach). I’ll be returning!

We stopped by tonight and purchased many sweets! The cookie sandwiches with buttercream filling are so delicious! Gourmet cupcakes! Favorite bakery in the area! The cupcakes are so moist and have different fillings too. The flavors are incredible and they are absolutely worth the price! I’m so happy we got some, our favorite was the chocolate chip and snickerdoodle.

After calling five places….and being told “no”…….. I called Cookies by Design in the morning for a last minute/same day order of “horse” themed cookies for my evening book club and was able to get my order of these beautiful AND delicious cookies in time! What great customer service and product…..I highly recommend this business.

Extremely cute place, however I bought a Marshmellow Rice Treats and it tastes horrendous. Took several bites and each bite was so stale. I sniffed the treat as well and it reeks of staleness. I set the treat down into a bowl and the staleness wafted over to me within a couple minutes. The expiration on the treat is April 30, 2024. It is so disgusting that I could not keep eating this treat after 3 bites. Disappointed and would be wary about trying any of their other treats.

Nice little place to go to get a sugary fix. I got a lemon, a cookie dough and a vanilla bean cupcake. I also got a couple coconut spheres, and a couple dog cookies of course. The flavor of everything was good. Thank you Cookies by Design.

They were all delicious. The shop was clean and the staff was so polite and inviting. Willing to help us decide our gift purchases and helpful to apply a savings. If you're looking for fantastic gift ideas, you can't beat this place for quality candies and nuts.

I have been purchasing Chocolate and Nuts from Koeze for gifts and for myself since the 80's. I love the Milk Chocolate Pecan Turtles and the Colossal Cashew. Their products are delicious 😋😋. The staff provides excellent Customer service. Store display is very inviting and pleasant to browse through. Plenty of free parking available for customers. I shop there at least twice a month if not more. I recommend them to everyone.

This carrot cake is my most favorite cake I ever eaten in GR!! Yummy!!👍🤩🥰 The cream on the carrot cake harmonizes well with the taste of the cake itself. The cream, with its well-balanced cinnamon and sour notes, complements the nutty goodness of the carrots and nuts within the cake. The subtle sweetness of the cream adds to its luxurious feel. The crunchy texture of the nuts and carrots in the cake pairs nicely with the moist cake. The puff pastry, too, is delightful, with its chewy bread filled with a cream that offers a subtle sweetness and rich flavor.

Gaby is the chef and owner of this outstanding French bakery. You can honestly taste the passion and skill in every item he makes. Gaby is not only friendly and welcoming, but also incredibly knowledgeable about his food, ingredients, and where it all comes from. Every single item I tried was delicious, but when I say the crème brûlée was on another level, I mean it — hands down, without question, the best I’ve ever had! Gaby mentioned he spent a couple of years perfecting the recipe, and it absolutely 100% shows. If you haven’t tried Gaby’s Gourmandise (inside the Downtown Market), you’re missing out — this is a place (and a chef) that you will never forget!

My family and I love going to the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. The wide variety of food choices allows my picky family to all find something they enjoy. One place we can all agree on is Gaby’s Gourmanidse. As you walk through the main doors you are greeted with beautiful creations that amazingly taste even better than they look! Chef Gaby uses the best ingredients and displays his skill with every pastry. We try to get something new each time we go but a few things are so amazing, we find ourselves drawn to them again and again. Do yourself a favor and go there very soon. You won’t regret it!

Visiting from Chicago & we tried the absolute best pistachio puff along with a spice cupcake. Was so flavorful, will forever remember that pastry. Delicious delicious delicious!!!! Not to mention the Chef had amazing customer service. Super sweet, will be recommending to everyone I know if they’re heading this way!

The owner, Gaby, is super friendly. The treats are a little bit too sweet for my taste. Creme Brulee made with real vanila beans was done perfectly. The top caramel crust was perfect, the custard was smooth and taste was good but again on the a bit sweet side for me. I was a disappointed with Pistachio cream puff though, didn't feel much Pistachio falovor.

I'll starting by saying my favorite pastry is a canelè. They're not readily available, but when I come across them, I 100% indulge. When walking into the Grand Rapids Downtown Market, the VERY first thing I zoned in on, were canelès, perched behind the counter at Gaby's Gourmandise. I noted them (hard) and kept moving about the market. Before we walked out the door, I obviously swung back by and grabbed a few. I know exactly what they're supposed to taste and feel like, and they're seldom perfect, but even a bad canelè is a treat, so I purached with confidence. Side note, the man behind the counter was a delight. Main note, this was the most perfect canelè I have ever had. It was perfectly shaped, perfectly crispy on the outside (not too dark, not too light), and the center was a perfect custardy texture with a light vanilla flavor. I am now DEVASTATED that I live in the Northern Virginia/DC area and cannot have these regularly! Grand Rapids, I hope you appreciate these little pastries. Eat extra for me.

Chef Jean-Gabriel was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was one of the only pastry vendors who was willing to work with us on our wedding date (the day after Thanksgiving), and we are extremely happy he did! His desserts were excellent, very light and tasty. We did a tasting at the shop a few months before the wedding and we’re pleasantly surprised with how delicious everything was. (some desserts pictured were made by family friends as well)

This is a good bakery with a variety of options, as well as breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I like that they have homemade biscotti, as that is getting harder to find. I have had the veggie breakfast sandwich and it is quite good. The muffins are great, too. My only recommendation to improve is that they have croissant options. Clearly I'm a grab-n-go gal :-P.

I always love going here and enjoy samples. However, I was disappointed for the first time this week when we went. We got a loaf of their bread that I don't know how to spell, but it's 7.25 a loaf. When we got it home, everybody was disappointed. It was older tasting and chewy. I always thought things were fresh baked. I called and the girl said no it's not fresh but 3 days old and that's always how they do it. At all other bakeries we go to they sell "day old " things for half price. I will not get that again. Still love the cookies.

The cookies are so good, I'm convinced they put crack in them. Either way I've had to cut down to a meal a day; just so I can still have some sweet sweet great harvest muffins without getting so fat I need to be rolled out the door; clutching one of their pecan pie bars to my heart, where they belong.

Everytime I come in, they never have the bread my mom likes. I buy 2 loaves whenever I can get there (and they have it). Even worse, I was informed that they closed the Grandville store. The last time I went in, the lady was very helpful and said I could call the day before to have the loaves set aside. I will try that and update my rating if it changes.

Now this is what a real bakery should be! The fresh baked smell when you walk in the door is amazing! Huge variety of breads and desserts to "die for". They also have samples of freshly baked bead for you to try. Always happy when I leave...

We enjoyed coming here for a quick breakfast. We had sandwiches and the cinnamon rolls were amazing! We liked the atmosphere, it looked like they just renovated it.

Once again I was disappointed by my experience at this location. There does not seem to be any level of service expected by their employees. The young man who helped me could not be bothered as he was too busy chatting with other employees. I love the Grand Haven location but the product at this location leaves a lot to be desired. I would speak with management but they never seem to be present.

A stop at Ludwicks on our way to GR has been a must since they no longer sell at the Flea Market in Muskegon.(many years ago!) We were worried when they sold to Bill Knapps that the recipe would change. We have tried them 3 different times over the summer and have noticed a change. The donuts now stick to the roof of your mouth! At first we just thought we got a bad batch. We used to have a package every week, now we no longer purchase them! It's a shame when the perfect plain donut gets changed from perfection. We always enjoyed stopping in their store to stock up, the employees were always friendly. But we really miss our plain Luwick donut, let us know if you return to the old recipe

Very impressed with this company. Today I was putting in an order for a man I read online thats on hospice care and was having a big craving for their doughnuts. The gal on the phone was extremely nice and helpful helping me navigate their delivery process as I have never ordered from them before. Not only that but she upgraded the order to an entire case and wouldn't let me pay for the order or even tip her for her help. 🥹 There are really some amazing people out there. Thank you Ludwicks!

I literally just got off the phone with a lady at Ludwick's. Our local Meijer stores which carried the sour cream donuts in their frozen food section apparently quit doing so. I called and they ship directly to a residence for no change in product cost. Thank you Ludwick's Bakery. You officially have a loyal customer.

I'm not big into writing reviews, but Ludwick's is easily my favorite bakery in the fine state of Michigan and I figured I would share some quick thoughts. The baked goods are delicious. I am in love with the Chewy Coconut Cookies and their signature Sour Cream Donuts. They always taste super fresh like they have just been baked. I also have to give a shout out to the staff. Everyone there is exceptionally friendly (especially that little blonde curly haired girl). They are very helpful and listen to their customers. Also, I went in and was given free samples, which is never a bad thing! If you are in the area you need to stop by and give it a try! It is definitely worth it!

We just purchased another package of your tasty Sour Cream Doughnuts only to find they are nearly half the size for what they used to be. We have been a loyal customer for over 25 year buying them weekly and now disappointed to see they are now smaller. Was this a production error or was it intentional? We will be buying more this week and if this package is like the last bought I will be calling you.

- Bundtini (50g) - Chocolate Chocolate Chip: Very close to perfection. I’ve had their products a couple of times and it is almost always created with near perfect appearance. The taste is delicious. Work catered on a Thursday for lunch and these were brought in addition to that. Yummy!

LOVE their cakes. A coworker introduced me to then and I was hooked. We had them for our wedding and keep coming back. Lemon is my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of the flavors. Not the cheapest, but they're a good special treat every now and then.

Such a cute little place, employees were super friendly. Bundtlets had excellent flavor and were moist and very sweet (it’s almost too much to eat a whole one in one sitting, would definitely recommend splitting with someone else). Overall good experience, will likely be back!

The cakes are awesome. The service and their 'rules' are not. Yesterday I found out when I picked up an order that I didn't get points because I ordered on line instead of using their app.... no where did I see that I had to use the app to get loyalty points. She told me I can upload the receipt to the app for them to be applied. No thanks. I dont need to take more time and effort when I already paid for their service. Today I went to get additional ones for the party. Only to find out that to buy a box of a dozen buntinies (the only way they are sold) is to choose one of 2 preselected assortments that are already boxed. In order to get the ones I wanted, I need to come back in 40 minutes. 40 minutes I wasn't planning on and didn't have and wasn't planning on when hosting a party tonight. How hard would it have been for her to pick out 12 of my choosing and put them in a box? Imagine going to a cupcake specialty shop or a donut shop and being told you can buy this preassortment we have or come back in 30 minutes so we can put 12 in a box for you. Nothing Bundt Cakes needs some competition so they can focus more on service and what matters to customers.

Not the cheapest but they are so good, but I do only treat myself every now and then. Just so happened to be in the area to use this shop.

The bakery items are absolutely delicious, no complaints there. However, the customer service could use some improvement. As a new customer, the experience was disappointing and left a bad impression. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning to this location.

One of the best cakes I've ever had! Teri was incredible about recreating my parents' wedding cake for their 50th anniversary, including helping me find matching cake accessories online. She was a delight to work with, really cared about the end result, and made three absolutely delicious flavors! We're looking forward to ordering more cakes in the future!

We ordered a cake for our annual family pig roast. Terri made the cake that looked like a pig. It totally blew us away!!! Truly artistic and the cake itself was moist and delicious!!! From start to the pick up, Terri is so professional and a joy to talk to and work with! We have another cake already ordered for our sons upcoming wedding rehearsal dinner, and can't wait to see that as well! I can't recommend her enough. This is where you need to get your cake from for any occasion!!

My fiance and I ordered a cake from here and it was beautiful! Not only did it look beautiful, it tasted great as well. It definitely exceeded our expectations. There was so much detail to all of the flowers on the cake. I recommend Gamma's Cakes and will be using them again in the future.

Her cakes are ABSOLUTELY delicious!! I ordered a cake for my boyfriends 22nd birthday and it was beautiful and delicious! He hates fondant but the way she makes her fondant, made my boyfriend fall even more in love with the cake! If you need a cake made, she's the one to go to!!!

Have loved Midnite Patisserie since I found them shortly after moving to the area- every pastry ive ever had from them has been amazing. We recently ordered a cake for our wedding from her and it was perfect. Everyone was raving about how delicious it was and asking where it was from! They knocked it out of the park and they are so kind as well!

Tried for the first time today and let me tell you - this place is special, and I WILL be ordering again. I couldn't get past the parking lot without trying everything. Every treat was so unique and tasted so thoughtfully designed. The bacon and tomato jam croissant was to die for, but literally everything was delicious.

Excellent quality and execution. A true pastry chef that understands the complexities of technique and flavor. Wish I could have this regularly rather than just Saturdays!

Always good sweet and savory baked goods. The everything bagel croissant is amazing. Prices are very reasonable. Only downside is you have to order earlier in the week if you want access to their full menu, so no forgetting to order on Wednesday. Can’t wait for it to become a full fledged bakery.

We chose Scrumptious Cupcakes for our wedding cake and we were thrilled with the product! Our guests said the cupcakes were delicious (the frosting and fillings are amazing!!!). The flavors are fun and the product was very fresh for our wedding day. Betsy was very professional and organized to work with and she worked had to make our cupcakes reflect our wedding theme. The crew was very prompt with delivery and made our display look great. The price is standard for cupcakes and the rentals (cake stands) were also priced well. If you are a cupcake person and are looking for something special for your wedding or event, I would highly recommend Scrumptious Cupcakes!

I love cupcakes and eat them every chance I get! I have to say these are THE BEST cupcakes I have ever tasted! The frosting is so light and fluffy and the cake is delicious and moist. She went out of her way to make sure the cupcakes for our shower were delivered on time and looking beautiful---despite me forgetting to give her the delivery address until right when we originally scheduled them to be delivered. Scrumptious is a great word for this business. It describes completely what their cupcakes were. They stepped in at the very last minute and came through with cupcakes for my nieces' wedding. Everyone at the wedding raved about the cupcakes. They were delicious and beautiful. I highly recommend this business. I already know that I will be a repeat customer.

In my many years of experience with ordering bake goods for celebrations & events, I have learned that you either get a beautifully decorated item, OR one that tastes amazing. That is how it has been, until recently, when I had the extreme luck of ordering custom made cookies for my grandson’s first birthday party, from Rachel at Equinox Pastries! They were beautifully decorated, with amazing detail, AND they were actually delicious!! They were a huge hit at the party, & I have had many guests inquire about who made them. I definitely will be ordering from Rachel again in the future, & hope she expands to a retail shop soon, because she has definitely found her calling!

Rachel not only makes delicious desserts, but she is a delight to work with. I wanted to have custom cookies made for a wake and had very little lead time. Equinox Pastries and Pops exceeded my expectations! Rachel made my visions a reality with the smash hearts she crafted for my bridesmaid proposals! Everything was done on time and the entire process from ordering to pick-up was a breeze. I highly recommend ordering from here because everything is done with amazing detail and high quality (and is delicious)!

I ordered a dozen custom and a dozen glazed. The chocolate iced were shrunken like they didn’t proof long enough or were supposed to be mini’s or something. Sooooo disappointing! The crème filled were dry with heavy dough. Not sure what happened. I’m guessing they filled the glazed with mini’s? Instead of regular size donuts? Even with the extra smaller ones, Krispy Kreme’s should’ve attempted to connect with me. The smaller donuts weren’t enough for people to have 2, but taking 1 didn’t give them a full-size donut.

Staff was so-so. Someone was taking my order and then walked away without saying anything. Came back and said, "sorry about that". Like at least tell me you had to step away. Doughnuts were small, and I got regular size. They were cold and the selection they had was not the full menu of what is offered. Also, $20 for a dozen? The doughnuts are delicious don't get me wrong, but that seems a bit pricey.

Went early in the am thinking that I would get Fresh! Wrong! Not at all the case ..Old and Cold all of them and stale to make it worse is that the price does not meet the quality anymore .prices rise quality and service fall all across the board..smh..Idk but probably true that all Service industries are suffering from very poor quality of experience.the fill donuts was no fill in them or disappeared when microwave for 2seconds..Non of the donuts was fresh Super Hard .Cream was hard on Top! Suppose to been lemon filled but no lemon fill! Guess it's the tariffs..huh!

I placed a 0645 pickup order. I drive 20 minutes (40 both ways) to arrive and be told they won’t have the Harry Potter donuts until 0900. There should be someone who reviews these orders and lets customers know. Even if I had to turn around 10 minutes in, that would be more acceptable. To top this, I was originally told I had to choose other donuts and couldn’t “for certain” get a refund until they ran it by management and said they would refund me. A huge waste of my time.

They NEVER have the specialty donuts. I have order about every 4-6 months over the last 4 yrs and EVERYTIME I have had to change my mobile order because they didn’t have the donuts besides the original one available. It didn’t matter what time of day I went either! Early morning to afternoon to late evening.. And their coffee machines are always broken.. sometimes it’s the hot drinks and sometimes it’s the cold/iced drinks. I drive from 2 hours away too because of work sometimes so when I am in town I always would want to get them. And if you order in the mobile app, you can’t get your money right back, it takes days! Very frustrating and disappointing!

Young black girl with nose rings waited on us. She barely acknowledged me for starters. I got the Halloween box of 12. There was a picture of box contents on the video screen. She didnt have any more of 2 types of donuts, so she replaced them with regular donuts. When I asked her about it she said the Mgr. told her to put 4 regular donuts (supposed to only b 2 regular donuts). I asked for the Mgr. She went to the back and got the proper donuts. Then when I checked out I asked her if I could SEE what was in the box. She wouldn't show me but instead told me. I asked her again to see what was in the box. She shoved the box at me, threw up her hands and walked away. I was blown away with the lack of service I received!

I love the cake donuts. Especially at full time the pumpkin spice donuts. But when I went to the drive up window, the girl told me that they tried to order the part for the cake machine, but it was on backorder? For two years? Fire this manager Get the cake machine fixed. Grand Rapids is missing out. Plus, the location of this donut shop is horrific. On the corner of a mall on an intersection by two busy streets that will only let you out to the right. There is a Chick-fil-A next-door that is always packed and when they leave they drive like crazy and they will hit you. Not a safe location not a good manager and no cake donuts

Bought 3 of your cupcakes for my 3 kids last Saturday . I think one each was good enough for them as they looked deliciously awesome . But I did buy your apple pie too and I must say .. it was one of the best apple pies I've ever had . You guys nailed it in the baking business. If I'm in downtown, will definitely pay you guys a visit .

Sweetielicious is my favorite place for pies! The Dewitt location is so much closer for me but I happened to be at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids and had to grab a slice. I bought my usual favorite Tom's Cherry Cherry Cherry Berry but had to take a chance on Laura's Sticky Toffee Caramel Apple Pie. A delicious pie! I am very particular about apple pie. The molasses cookies are delish too! I've bought many pies over the years. I was surprised about the reviews being low as she is a prizewinning pie baker. I believe the strawberry/cherry cupcakes that people say are dry are an angel food cake. The texture of angel food is much different than regular cupcakes. Maybe the staff can help by clarifying it? Girl was very rude and didnt want to help us. We purchased 2 slices, cookies and a cupcake and she tried to fit everything in one small bag. When we opened the bag the slice was opened and half fell out into the bag. The sticker that was on the container had a long red hair stuck to it. Visiting from Chicago and was looking forward to visiting and left disappointed.
