Museums
History museum
The Rijksmuseum, located in a 19th-century building, is a treasure trove of Dutch Golden Age paintings and an extensive European art collection. It is one of Amsterdam's most popular attractions and serves as the city's primary art repository. The museum was established to house the country's vast collection of rare art and antiquities, which includes over 8,000 important paintings spanning from the 13th century to modern times.
The Rijksmuseum is truly massive — a treasure trove filled with everything from exquisite porcelain and jewelry to world-class paintings and sculptures. The highlight, of course, is the stunning collection of works by masters like Rembrandt and Van Gogh. The audio guide (or even better, the museum app) is worth getting, as it helps bring the art to life and makes it easier to navigate the maze-like halls. The museum’s grand corridors and detailed exhibits make it easy to lose track of time — and sometimes your way. There’s also a nice gift shop and a restaurant on-site, though both can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours.
Vidya H — Google review
Great museum. Hadn’t been for a few years, better than I remembered. Amazing art spread over four floors in the heart of the museum area. Saw huge works of art, great sculpture too and even an aircraft up on floor 3. And a condom that dates back to 1830 🙄 A must see. Only takes a couple of hours to get a good feel. You can then return to explore more.
Andrew D — Google review
Stunning setting on par with the Louvre; goldmine of Dutch Masters but also extensive collections of porcelain, china, silverware, jewelry, firearms, nautical models and other items. Large, open atrium and other common areas with ample access to washrooms, lifts and stairwells. App (IOS and Android) loads easily and allows access to thematic and custom tours. BRING ear buds, although you can listen via your phone’s speaker. Audio device is only €6.50 each. Cafeteria fills by mid-day with lineup; we grabbed coffee / tea and a brownie for two at the smaller cafe. Cons: App and general signage could be better at orienting visitors: it took a while to find the Great Hall. Many exhibits are dimly lit; I know this protects paintings/fabric/etc, but many other international museums have more ample lighting. Maybe illuminate the text descriptions separately? Given that explanatory panels are often mounted within 50cm of the floor, deciphering them can pose a challenge. Even saw quite young folks having to squint. Strongly advise staff to engage an Optometrist to assist in this. Sum: certainly a “must see”, with a complete visit likely requiring 3+ hrs. Staff very helpful, and roving throughout the museum. Buy tickets from the official site beforehand (or via QR on site), and avail yourself of the (included) coat-check.
Kevin B — Google review
The Rijksmuseum is an incredible place to explore Dutch art and history. The collection is world-class from Rembrandt’s The Night Watch to Vermeer’s The Milkmaid, every gallery feels like a walk through time. The building itself is stunning, and the layout makes it easy to wander and discover something new at every turn. That said, it can get very crowded, especially on weekends. I definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance to skip the long lines and secure your preferred time slot. Once inside, take your time there’s so much to see that it’s worth spending a few hours here. Overall, a fantastic cultural experience and a must-visit in Amsterdam, just make sure to plan ahead!
Dibyojeet B — Google review
Buy tickets outside at a little portable booth in front of the overpass. Watch out for FAST💨 BIKES!!! The famous Night Watchman by Rembrandt is under serious restoration and is partially blocked due to scaffolding. This painting is on the second floor, the 1700s. Later work by Van Gogh is on the 1st floor exhibited. We also ate lunch in the museum cafeteria and the food was super fast and fresh! The chicken salad and the buffalo mozzarella salad were excellent!!
Julie S — Google review
Classic, iconic, and indispensable art museum. While it is best known for its classic collection and Dutch Golden Age masterpieces, it also hosts an extensive selection of works from other periods, including contemporary critical exhibits. Carefully curated, the visit can be extensive if one wishes to cover all it has to offer. But it makes for a memorable experience both for those with a dedication to art and culture, and the casual visitor. It is useful to book tickets in advance. While the crowds are managed reasonably, it can get busy, in particular in the most popular galleries. An early arrival is useful to enjoy those works in a more relaxed way. The museum has quality services for information, accessibility, shop, restaurant and coffee bar. Staff is professional, congenial, and knowledgeable across all roles. The 2013 refurbishment of the historic Pierre Cuypers building by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos still feels fresh, cogent, and successful in upgrading the entrances, patios, service areas, and selected exhibition spaces. If anything it would have been nice to have a more direct opportunity to understand the evolution of the building, its spaces, collection history, and new curatorial practices. Although much of that emerges through the visiting experience, and carefully prepared exhibits.
Daniel L — Google review
This museum was huge! Beautiful to look and on both the inside and the outside. Beautiful gardens and greenery and the building was an architectural masterpiece. Our story is a little funny because even tho we paid to enter, we were so tired from the day already that we only entered for a mere 3 minutes and then stepped out to go look for Stroopwaffles. We barely saw anything here, but hey everyone says it's a must-see when you're visiting Amsterdam.
Shoshana A — Google review
The Rijksmuseum is spacious and full of variety—you can easily spend two hours or more exploring. Of course, the famous paintings, especially those by Rembrandt, are breathtaking. But beyond that, we enjoyed discovering other exhibits too: delicate porcelain, shipbuilding models, and historical artifacts that tell stories beyond the canvas. We arrived early, which helped—it was fairly quiet at first. But the museum filled up quickly and became quite crowded in some areas. The café is lovely and offers a peaceful break. Unfortunately, The Night Watch is currently under restoration, but even so, it remains a powerful and moving centerpiece. Visiting the Rijksmuseum is a beautiful experience—perfect for art lovers, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking cultural depth and inspiration.

Park
Nature & Parks
Vondelpark is a 19th-century urban park in Amsterdam, known for its romantic ambiance and serene setting. It's a popular spot for couples, offering beautiful landscapes with colorful flowers and trees. The park features cafes and restaurants where couples can enjoy intimate meals. Additionally, it's a favored location for engagements and engagement photoshoots. Vondelpark offers various attractions such as a rose garden, an open-air theater, tennis courts, and a paddling pool.
What an inspiring place to be, with hundreds of people running every second. A wonderful park right in the heart of the city, offering every shade of green. Perfect place to walk, go for a run, enjoy a drink at one of the many spots around, or simply chill on a summer day.
Nida Ö — Google review
My local park. I love it & so do many many Amsterdamers.. Tourists, everyone. Busy and buzzing. With lots of wildlife and some quiet peaceful areas.. Lovely Rose garden. Playgrounds, Bars, restaurants and concert venue inside. It's a main thoroughfare into the city and in the mornings and evenings it's like a Football game has ended.. Great for running - just about 3.5km all the way around the place but also inline skating and cycling. Walking etc.. Outside smelly Dutch style urinals placed strategically about but also public toilets in the bars.. A long and fairly narrow green lung in the city.

A beautiful park to take a walk to or go by bike!!! If you have time you can just sit on a bench or on the grass and enjoy the calm nature around you. Really a beautiful place!

Vondelpark is amazing, i would just wish that Amsterdam had like 10 of Vondelparks. :) Great place to hang out and walk around out of the hustle and bustle of the city surrounding it. Vondelstraat is also a great neighborhood to walk through.

Walked through this beautiful Vondel park, lots of people taking advantage of this park, walking, running, biking, sitting on benches, sitting on the grass. Many people were here and I found I had to watch myself that I didn’t get in anyone’s way, still glad I checked this area out.

I absolutely loved the park the trees and roses were breathtaking to see in person. The sound of running water added such a calming touch, and the Japanese maples were stunning. It’s the perfect spot for yoga or simply unwinding after a busy day.

Vondelpark is a truly beautiful and relaxing place in the heart of Amsterdam. The park feels peaceful and full of life at the same time, with wide green spaces, winding paths, and lovely ponds. It’s perfect for walking, cycling, or simply sitting on a bench and enjoying the atmosphere. Whether you visit in the morning or at sunset, the scenery is charming and the vibe is welcoming. It’s a wonderful escape from the busy city streets and a must-see for anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Our favorite spot in Amsterdam! We walked and cycled across this park almost every day during our stay in Amsterdam, and each time we found a lovely spot inside this park. They have rose sections which I imagine would be best during spring or early summer. There are public toilets accessible in this park, not sure about the cleanliness.

The Moco Museum is a modern and contemporary art museum located in the heart of Amsterdam, just a short walk from Museumplein. Housed in an early-20th-century townhouse, it offers a unique experience for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The museum features an impressive collection of works by renowned modern artists such as Banksy, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Yayoi Kusama, and KAWS.
The Moco Museum in Amsterdam is a vibrant and quirky art destination that brings a delightful twist to the traditional museum experience! This gem is dedicated to modern and contemporary art, with a focus on iconic figures like Banksy and Andy Warhol, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to inject some fun into their cultural exploration. As you step inside, the playful atmosphere immediately captures your attention. The museum’s design is bold and contemporary, with well-curated exhibitions that are both engaging and visually stimulating. I loved how the displays encourage interaction and reflection—some pieces even have a cheeky sense of humor that sparks joy! One of the highlights was the Banksy exhibition, which showcased some of his most famous works alongside lesser-known pieces. It’s fascinating to see his provocative art in such a stylish setting, and the blending of street art with fine art feels fresh and exciting. Another must-see is the collection of works by contemporary artists that defy convention and push the boundaries of creativity. It’s a perfect spot for snapping Instagram-worthy photos alongside thought-provoking art. The Moco Museum isn't just about the art; it has a lively café where you can relax and recharge with some delicious snacks and drinks while soaking in the creative vibes. Overall, my visit to the Moco Museum was an absolute blast! It’s the perfect blend of fun, culture, and innovation, making it a fantastic add-on to any Amsterdam itinerary. Whether you're an art lover or just looking for a unique experience, the Moco Museum will leave you inspired and entertained!

This was the highlight of my Amsterdam trip. While it is very small, the art is intriguing and makes you think. I now want to visit more modern art museums globally. I really loved the Robbie Williams exhibit, much more than I ever expected to. All his art spoke to me!

Get ready for a laugh-out-loud experience at this amazing contemporary museum! If you don’t find yourself giggling, you might just be too serious or a bit quirky. This small, vibrant museum breaks all expectations with its fun-filled art scene. I guarantee you'll leave with a smile after your visit. Don’t miss out on this entertaining adventure!

I absolutely loved my visit to Moco Museum. The atmosphere is modern, creative, and full of personality, it really pulls you in from the moment you walk in. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The exhibits were fantastic across the board, but my all-time favourite was definitely the Banksy section. Thought-provoking, iconic, and beautifully presented. If you enjoy contemporary art, this museum is a must-visit. I’d go again in a heartbeat!

I visited the Moco Museum in Amsterdam two weeks ago, and it was such a fun experience. A mix of modern and contemporary art was refreshing and inspiring. I especially loved a digital art exhibition called The Symphony of Nature — it was super dreamy, peaceful, and honestly kind of magical. I also loved seeing the Banksy pieces and works from artists like Warhol, Basquiat and Kusama. The museum isn’t huge, which is perfect if you want something inspiring without spending hours inside. Tip: go in the morning or on a weekday — way fewer people and more space to enjoy everything. If you like modern, bold, or Instagram-friendly art, you’ll love it.

** for Moco feedback : well, really no reason to visit again as you suggest people come early but I was there like 10:30am which should be not late 🤣🤣 Really recommend you control number of visitors ** It seems famous place you should visit and I can tell it’s nice place but kindly not to expect much as very small place. They also not doing any control of number of visitor so it is really crowds, noisy in small rooms. We got 20% less discount card for ticket so I think it’s fine but if pay full price which not worth at all. Staffs are friendly 🩷

I recently visited the Moco Museum as part of a collaboration, and I was genuinely impressed. The collection is vibrant, inspiring, and thoughtfully curated. From iconic contemporary pieces to unique details throughout the space. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the museum shop offers beautiful books and art-inspired items. Whether you love modern art or just want a creative experience, the Moco Museum is definitely worth a visit!

De Bijenkorf Amsterdam is a renowned luxury department store located in the heart of the city on the Dam. The impressive building boasts a stunning facade and stylish interior, offering an extensive range of high-end fashion, cosmetics, accessories, and home goods. Visitors can also enjoy a delightful shopping experience at the De Bijenkorf shopping region with numerous clothing stores, Dutch brands, and a large shoe department. Additionally, the 5th floor features a cafeteria serving coffee and various food options.
I went there to buy luggage. Very nice young man helped me with the sale. Right next to the tax duty free registry so if you live in a non EU country be sure to get your tax rebate. You must get the paperwork the same day though!
Angus — Google review
Came here the other day for a quick bite to eat on the top floor cafeteria of de Bijenkorf. I ordered from the Wok section and got a spicy chicken yellow curry with rice. It cost €18 and was a very large portion. I wish they had provided the option for a take-away or doggy bag as I ended up leaving over half of the meal. The curry was delicious and I was curious about the other sections e.g. Grill and Bar as the food and drinks coming from those booths looked incredible too! I had a Heineken with my meal but the beer was quite warm. Overall a very nice experience, I just wish they had the option to take your leftovers with you! Such a waste of food.

I often visit The Beehive, De Bijenkorf warehouse in the heart of Amsterdam, Dam Square. This is one of the oldest warehouses of The Netherlands. Shop in shop concept and houses high end brands such as Prada, Villeroy and Boch, Hermes, Louis Vuitton and many more.

High end department store in Amsterdam and the food court offers mostly freshly prepared dishes. More attention should be paid to keeping the chairs and tables clean though.

De Bijenkorf on Dam Square is more than a high‑end department store - it’s a 5‑floor feast of modern design, fashion and culture with a café, art gallery and even small concerts. I stopped by in early September when the weather was comfy with plenty of sun and the city felt quieter, making it the perfect time to shop while cycling through Amsterdam.
Ahmed S — Google review
A beautiful and upscale department store in the heart of Amsterdam. Great selection of brands, stylish displays, and a pleasant shopping experience. Perfect for fashion lovers and anyone looking for quality products.
Mariam — Google review
What the heck has happened to department stores? I came to buy a winter coat but left without nothing but a desire for the intimacy of boutiques. This store does not lack for beautiful items, but the glaring lack of customer service is apparent at every turn (including being told items on the shelves are NOT for sale and attempting to pay at the "wrong" cash register--manned by a salesperson with a conspicuous lack of common sense!) I love good quality clothing manufactured at the highest integrity and standards for humans, so please don't make me forgo building my 12-piece capsule.

RIJKS® is an upscale restaurant located within the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, offering elegant dishes inspired by local ingredients. The restaurant aims to create edible art using Dutch-produced or -influenced products, resulting in a vegetable-heavy menu of mainly small plates featuring unique delights such as red cabbage gazpacho and celeriac with hazelnut miso.
Fabulous lunch on a Sunday afternoon at Rijks. We had the lunch set menu + wine pairing and some additional dishes. The wine pairing perfect with the food. The dishes were beautifully presented, well thought through and balanced. The sweetbreads were absolutely delicious with a South African Syrah as a pairing. The staff are attentive and the overall service excellent. kudos to the kitchen.

Are you kidding me? This is a Michelin-starred restaurant?! Easily the worst one I’ve ever been to. The food was disappointing—mostly Western dishes mixed with Chinese sauces, which didn’t work for me. But the real shocker was the lack of service. We arrived a bit earlier than our 11:30 reservation. They weren’t open yet, which we understood—but when it suddenly started raining, we asked if we could wait inside. They said no, as they weren’t ready yet. No one offered any alternative or showed basic hospitality. A few minutes later, when the rain had already stopped, they told us we could come in to wait. Like… what’s the point? Thank you? During the meal, no one checked on our table. When a server cleared our plates, she dropped my friend’s utensils onto her chair while my friend was in the washroom—then picked them up without cleaning the chair. After we finished eating, our empty dishes sat there for over 5 minutes with no one in sight. Then a fruit fly started circling. My partner killed it (photo attached), and when we pointed it out to the server, she just said there was nothing they could do—no apology, no gesture, just dropped off the bill. They did waive one dish from the bill, but that’s not what we were asking for. Was a simple apology really that hard? Definitely would not recommend this place!

We truly enjoyed our evening at Rijks. The service was flawless - our water glasses were filled regularly, the cutlery was exchanged after every dish, the wine pairing and my non-alcoholic pairing were served perfectly on time with the corresponding dishes. We asked for a different main course than stated on the set “Tafel” menu, which was no problem at all. Even though there was no official non-alcoholic drink pairing, they created one for me. The food was excellent and the Sweetbread - the chef’s signature dish - was a highlight. Thank you for this lovely evening!

We had a great dining experience at Rijks. The service was warm and professional. The food was everything you'd expect from a Michelin starred restaurant: creative, precise and beautifully plated. The highlight was of course their famous beetroot millefeuille, great presentation and flavor. Balance of sweet, earthy and savory with a beurre blanc sauce that brings everything together. The wine list deserves a special mention as well: it's well curated with some older vintages and interesting options to pair with your dishes. The atmosphere is modern but relaxed, next time we'll make sure to book a seat by the kitchen to make the most out of the open kitchen. Highly recommended!

It was another absolute culinary highlight evening at Rijks by JorisBijdendijk. The welcome from Robin Toen immediately put me at ease, and that feeling lasted throughout the evening. Chef Friso van Amerongen and his team created a top-class vegetarian menu with “Garden.” Once again, I experienced brilliant flavor combinations that I had never encountered before. This was accompanied by great non-alcoholic drinks, and the service at Rijks is always more than sensational. And when Friso handed me a loaf of bread from Wils bakery cafe, I floated back to the hotel in complete bliss. What a wonderful evening of indulgence.
Markus B — Google review
Review of Rijks – Vegetarian Tasting Menu (Tuin | Garden) Walking into Rijks, you immediately sense that this isn’t a “typical museum restaurant.” It’s refined without being intimidating, and the service sets the tone for what turns out to be a remarkable dining journey. For my first-ever vegetarian tasting menu — and at a Michelin-starred restaurant — I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Courses & Impressions... Tomaat (Tomato, Strawberry, Honey, Basil) A surprising opener that danced between savory and sweet. The brightness of tomato lifted by basil, with strawberry and honey adding both freshness and depth, instantly set the stage for how imaginative this menu would be. Fruits de Terre (Amazake, Shio Koji, Poppy Seed Tahini) Earthy, nutty, and umami all at once. The amazake and shio koji provided a subtle fermentation complexity, while the tahini grounded the dish. A fascinating “soil-meets-ferment” plate that showed just how far vegetables can go in flavor expression. Tuinboon (Broad Bean, Sea Lavender, Pistachio, Lemon Verbena) This plate was a revelation in texture — the creaminess of the beans, the gentle crunch of pistachio, and an herbal lift from lemon verbena. It tasted like a garden in peak summer, delicate but assertive. Pom Pom Blanc (Lion’s Mane, Celeriac Bordelaise, Hollandaise, Curry Leaf Oil) Lion’s mane mushrooms are often praised for their “meaty” bite, and here they were elevated with a Bordelaise richness and the silkiness of hollandaise. The curry leaf oil gave it a subtle aromatic twist. A dish that blurs the line between plant-based and classic French fine dining. Millefeuille of Beetroot... The star of the menu! Even though it was an add-on, this was a piece of edible art. Beetroot layered like pastry, bringing both visual drama and earthy sweetness. Worth the indulgence. Glazed BBQ Tempeh (Oatmeal, Zucchini, Ajipanca) Smoky, hearty, and comforting, this was perhaps the most surprising course. Tempeh, often dismissed as “hippie food,” was transformed into something gourmet. The Peruvian ajipanca pepper added depth without overpowering. Bijenwas (Beeswax, Honey, Elderflower, Black Fruits) A poetic finish — floral, fruity, and lightly sweet. The beeswax brought an almost ethereal texture, while elderflower and black fruits tied it together like the closing note of a symphony. Overall Experience... This menu was one of the best gastronomic journeys of my life. Every dish was layered, thoughtful, and elegant... not once did it feel like a compromise for being a vegetarian meal. Instead, it showcased the creativity and depth that vegetables can offer when handled with care. Rijks isn’t just a place to eat; it’s an education in flavour, a conversation with Dutch soil, and a reminder that vegetables can stand proudly at the center of haute cuisine. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable, and worth returning to Amsterdam for!!!

I took the 5 course degustation menu plus the signature dish. Overall food is great, I really enjoyed the signature dish but I was not impressed with the Duck which was the last dish.
Nelson G — Google review
If possible, we would have rated 3.5 stars, not quite 4, not quite 3. RIJKS offers a very experimental and flavorful dining experience with unique tastes. We tried both the vegetarian and classic menus, and found the vegetarian option to be the better choice. The highlight of the evening was the signature dish, which was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the other dishes didn't quite meet this standard. The surroundings are beautiful, but we had hoped for a more historic atmosphere given the association with the Rijksmuseum. Similarly, the choices of music seem a bit confusing ranging from “Harvest Moon” and Disco Funk to Electronic Chill. We have previously dined at the Chef's other restaurant, Wils, which we enjoyed much more. Hence, overall, we left feeling a bit disappointed.

Very big, beautiful and multi story store in the center of city. It has nice spacious cafe as well. I want to give a huge shoutout to Johan! He was incredibly helpful, patient, and went above and beyond to assist me when I truly needed it. I can’t thank him enough; he really saved me, and I genuinely believe he deserves Employee of the Month for the way he handled my situation. Before connecting with Johan, I had spoken with another employee who was unfortunately very rude and unwilling to help. When I asked if she could check something for me, she simply said “no” and left it at that. It was very discouraging. Thankfully, I tried again and got Johan....what a complete difference! He not only helped but did so with kindness and professionalism. I’m super appreciative of everything he did for me.

The lady with glasses at the curtain section answered my questions carelessly. I did not leave this store happy today.

Dutch restaurant
The Pantry is a cozy restaurant that offers a quintessentially Dutch dining experience. The interior resembles a traditional Dutch home, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features hearty and comforting dishes such as stamppot and hutspot, which are traditional mashed vegetable dishes served with smoked sausage or meatballs. The portions are generous, and the focus is on traditional Dutch cuisine.
Main oven was down when we visited and they were serving appetizers and small plates of some of the main dishes - which was perfect for us as we could then sample more dishes with smaller portions. Mashed potatoes with sauerkrauts, mashed potatoes with carrots and onions, beef croquettes, beef stew, meatball and smoked sausage. Food was amazing, flavorful and well balanced. So good And to top off, service was excellent! Definitely worth another visit!

Warm & friendly service; a beautifully designed, cozy atmosphere, and most of all, delicious Dutch dishes. The vegetarian bitterballen was excellent - crispy on the outside without being oily, with great texture & flavour on the inside. Also really enjoyed the combination mashed potatoes to try the different flavours (kale, carrot, & cauliflower) that were each unique. Bonus that everything was extremely reasonably priced. Very highly recommend for the loveliest experience of traditional Dutch cuisine & hospitality!

Cozy little restaurant that's been serving the highest quality classic Dutch food for 25 years. We went on our first night in Amsterdam and it was the perfect place to start our trip. Service was so warm and friendly. They have a number of quick 3 course options if you haven't done a lot of research on the local food. We went with the ala carte option and had the best pea soup I've EVER had, their bitterballen which were fantastic and we split the XXL combination of hutspot which was more than enough food. Everything was wonderful. Definitely try their house beer "The Pantry", it's delicious! Make sure you make a reservation at least 30 days out if not more. It's a small restaurant and timeslots fill up fast. Thanks so much!

Great place to try dutch food: the staff are very friendly, it’s well located, and the decor is very characteristic. Although I didn’t love the food (it’s not my personal taste), it was great to try!! My favorite dish was the pea soup. It’s small and there are a lot of people, we waited a bit, but nothing serious 😁

Great place to get a quick intro to dutch cuisine. Here you can try the bitter ballen and then the combination sausage meatball traditional dishes. Excellent service and they take credit cards. Highly recommend.

The Pantry is a great choice for trying Dutch food! The atmosphere is super cozy and quaint. Get the fish menu! The shrimp croquettes were the standout -- a soft shrimp and potato filling in a crunchy breading. The sea bass dish was good (albeit I found some bones) and the veggies were great. I was pretty underwhelmed by the mashed potatoes, they lacked flavor. The dessert, caramel ice cream with stoopwaffel, was the right thing to end the meal.

We loved the Dutch food, the atmosphere and the service. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They have set menus, very good value. They offer vegetarian version for some of the menus. It is advisable to book in advance as it is really busy.

First time trying Dutch food. The places smelled amazing from half a block away. Couldn't wait to have those mashed potatoes in my mouth. Honestly the taste is mid at best, the sausage starter was the only thing I liked, my pea soup came with a big piece of plastic and when I told the server he told me "it happens sometimes" they didn't charge me for the soup, which was the least they could do. But if you want to eat bad and have a plastic soup then come here!!

Nestled just a stone's throw from the picturesque Vondelpark, TOZI Restaurant & Bar invites you to indulge in the rich flavors of Venetian-inspired cuisine right in the heart of Amsterdam. This charming eatery specializes in cicchetti, delightful small plates perfect for sharing with friends and family. The menu boasts an array of mouthwatering dishes such as homemade focaccia, sea bass carpaccio, and exquisite buffalo ricotta ravioli adorned with black truffle.
Food was top quality, staff was amazing and the atmosphere really great! I asked them to make the "feat menu" which is for two persons, only for me and they accommodate so nicely! I had an amazing 7+ course dinner and enjoyed so much!
Erzen K — Google review
Everything was good. Not great. Had missing cutlery and napkin when the first course arrived, during the second course the plates were missing again and the spaghetti was lukewarm at best and had a little more black pepper than needed, overpowering the taste of the truffle and spaghetti. Seemed like 1 person was missing to allow the staff to be more attentive for the customers. Can’t really complain about the food, it is good. But again, for a restaurant of this caliber, the small things add up to an overall less than satisfactory experience. Not a bad one overall, but could easily be improved.

I have never been in such a wonderful restaurant than Tozi in the Netherlands. Everybody was so nice and polite, the food was amazing like in Italy. Here you can get quality over quantity, but if you order the shared meals you can easily get full. I only can recommend this place.👌🏻
Erika D — Google review
ordered a tasting menu at Tozi & it started out strong! House made focaccia & the tuna were the clear winners. ricotta Cheese & truffle ravioli was a bit overwhelming (personally don’t like ricotta), but the texture was perfection! i wish the eggplant parmigiana were a bit more breaded for texture (overall was a bit soggy & thick with sauce) tiramisu ratio was off although i enjoyed the cup presentation! (too much crème per cookie)

I love trying new restaurants and coming back if they meet my main requirements: Good service, delicious food, efficient service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I must say that I've wanted to try this place for a long time, and today I finally had the chance to come. I'm very happy with the experience, 100% recommended. I know many restaurants, and this is on my list of restaurants I'll return to without a second thought! Thank you for the delicious food and the good ambiance. I'm a pastry chef, and wherever there's good service and food, I'm happy to enjoy it! Thank you very much, especially to the waiter Elia; he's excellent with his guests.

A wonderful Italian restaurant with outstanding service and truly delicious food. We had the carpaccio, aubergine, cacio e pepe, and tiramisu, all of which were absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Ines, was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

Incredible meal, world class experience. Welcoming atmosphere & table layout. Ilyia & Alba were our servers & they were exceptional. They guided our ordering with top recommendations. Our group of six shared tapas style & each selection was better than the previous. Highlights were the swordfish, pasta pepe, and the tar tar. Highly recommend, don't hesitate making a reservation.
