It’s a smaller space, I’m not sure if they take reservations but I recommend making one if they do! We waited maybe 20mins in the rain for a table. It might be better if they had some sort of shelter for people waiting outside. I ordered the English breakfast and it was pretty standard, nothing outstanding. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict which she really enjoyed. All of the beverages were delicious, I recommend the coconut strawberry matcha and the apple, carrot, ginger juice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating; we were able to take our matcha to go!

The restaurant looked super nice and cozy. The service was very good. The waitress kept coming to us and asking us if everything was okay, which I thought was very good. The food was delicious and the portion was reasonable. I found it very funny that you go through the kitchen to get to the toilet. I recommend the restaurant and would eat there again.

Best advice... show up early or expect to find a full house every morning. Wonderful, friendly, and efficient service. Brian and the team at Greenwoods will take great care of you. I started with some carrot, juice spiked with ginseng and lemon. Pancakes were soft, fluffy and smothered in fresh berries and syrup. Eggs benny with Pastrami... an out of this world thriller any time of day. Creamy hollandaise, runny egg yolk, salty pastrami on crusty sourdough combine to create the best dish I've eaten in Amsterdam. MUST TRY brunch spot sure to satisfy!

I honestly can’t put into words what I tasted here, it completely blew me away. We ordered the dish with labneh and another with braised beef. Both were distinctive and incredibly delicious, with flavors so rich they truly move you as you eat. Perfectly seasoned, full of depth. The chef deserves a promotion. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but worth every single cent.

Our second time here, this time trying the salmon after having beef before – both were excellent! It’s a lovely spot for a couple sharing and exploring new dishes together. A bit on the pricey side, but perfect if you split one main and a dessert, like the Basque cheesecake we had for breakfast – such a treat. Had brunch today at Little Collins, and it was a long-time coming visit. You can’t book a table here, and it’s always quite popular, so it’s tough to get a spot. Luckily, we were in the area around 10 and found a table free, so we hopped right in. The vibe was super pleasant. Service was great. Nothing over the top, but friendly, kind, smiling staff and pretty quick too. We didn’t have to wait ages for anything. We ordered two cappuccinos, a fresh juice, and both of us had poached eggs with labneh, roasted tomatoes, and seeds. Absolutely delicious. The flavors were balanced and everything tasted just right. I spotted a few other dishes around: shakshuka, some French toast, and a kind of salmon eggs Benedict with hollandaise. Everything looked tasty, but I’m glad I picked what I did—it seems to be the popular choice for a reason. We spent about 49 euros in total, which felt reasonable. As a dessert lover, I did check out their sweets, and while they didn’t instantly call to me, maybe I was just too full to give them a fair shot. They might be great, but they just didn’t look like must-try items at first glance. Overall, good experience, nice food, friendly service, and worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We went here on a sunny weekday, and since it was busy, we had to wait a bit. There’s a QR code at the door where you can drop your name, see the waiting time, and go for a walk or grab a coffee nearby while you wait. Food-wise, it’s definitely a treat. The flavors are rich, the portion was enough for me but can see people be challenging it. It’s not your everyday brunch. Prices are on the higher side, but honestly quite standard for Amsterdam 🤷🏼‍♀️ The only downside was the service. Drinks and the check took a while, and the overall pace on the logistics side could be improved. Fabulous brunch place! Insanely delish food (corn fritters!), service leaves you alone to chat with your friends and doesn’t chase you away when you are done. Nice to sit outside protected from potential rain or sun.

Open early on Sundays- worth getting up for! Excellent varied menu. We had florentine and BR special. Both very well executed. Super garlicky spinach and yummy think bread. Friendly efficient service.

Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The dishes lacked flavor, presentation, and overall quality — which was very unexpected. The bread was cut too thick and had no taste, it wasn’t toasted or spread with butter. Adding simple touches such as garlic butter, cheese sauce, or other flavor elements could make a big difference. All three dishes we ordered were completely bland. These days, it’s easy to find inspiration online for improving flavor and presentation, and I believe there is definitely room for improvement.

We had a tasty brunch here on a Sunday morning. My only wish was that the wait list system worked because I tried to join the wait list as we were walking there and it wasn't working... Of course we arrived and the place was full so we could only add ourselves once we got there. This meant that we could only get bar seats which was a bit tight for space. Aside from the seating situation the food itself was great. We got the Navajo Eggs and the Huevos Rancheros. Both were delicious and had a good balance of fresh ingredients with savoury elements.

I ordered the B&R Special with extra avocado instead of bacon. The eggs and bread were delicious, and the butter elevated the whole dish. The orange juice was fresh, but the pancakes were underwhelming compared to the rest. Nice atmosphere and excellent service, overall, a solid 5 stars despite the pancakes.

As a huge omelette fan, most of my omelette encounters have been at hotel breakfast buffets — decent, but nothing to write home about. So when I heard about Omelegg, a restaurant entirely dedicated to omelettes, my curiosity was instantly piqued. Let me just say… coming here was one of the best dining decisions I’ve ever made. I ordered the “Farm Boy”, and wow — it lives up to its name. Perfectly cooked, fluffy, and generously packed with all sorts of goodness — bacon, veggies, and more. The portion was massive, easily enough for two people. But since I arrived hungry and ready, I devoured the whole thing without hesitation. The place was fully packed when I arrived at 2.30pm, so I had to wait across the street on a tiny lane, surrounded by curious passers-by wondering why I was standing there. Thankfully, the wait was only about 20 minutes, and as soon as a table opened up, I was warmly welcomed inside. Omelegg serves omelettes all day from 7am-4pm Mon-Fri, and 8am-4pm Sat and Sun, so you can enjoy these incredible dishes from morning until mid-afternoon. I spent about half an hour here, and every minute was worth it. Omelegg isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a full experience. I’ll definitely be coming back on my next trip to Amsterdam.

Great eggs restaurant with a lot of variety. We ordered the greek wedding and it was fine and the salmon deluxe and it was delicious and the baked potatoes which was a bit tasteless. The service was quick and the line outside was packed but only took us 20 mins to get a table. The atmosphere is like your typical morning breakfast restaurants where it is fast paced and seated in tiny tables that are right next to each other where you can hear the fun conversations people are having.

Came here on my birthday for breakfast and found the experience to be decent, though I thought the food was overpriced, and in my opinion, undercooked. The inside of the omelette, when cut open, was incredibly runny. I’ve seen French and Japanese style omelettes cooked this way, but honestly it gave me such a bad stomach ache and texture-wise really put me off. I wish they gave you an option for how cooked you want the eggs. I had the Popeye with jalapeños. Service was good and quick. Highlight of the meal was definitely the bread on the side - softest bread I’ve had in my 5 years living in Amsterdam!! The servers wouldn’t tell me where they bought it from though - trade secrets I suppose. Bread and team were great, eggs less so.

The place is very cute and cozy, thanks to some luck we didn't have to wait to sit. We ordered and after some minutes everything was ready, very fast! The food was really good, especially my scrambo royale, also the apple juice was really liked. The only bad thing is that they didn't let us split the bill so one of us had to pay for everything, i don't know why :(

Make a reservation, as it’s always very busy. The location is beautiful—calm and green, a peaceful spot in the city. The interior is very cozy, and when the weather is nice, it’s amazing to sit outside and enjoy the garden. Food: It seems like the prices have gone up while the portion sizes have decreased. The Chuck Norris sandwich costs €18, which feels quite high for what you get. I had the savoury kadaif—it's a nice and unique dish, but again, I think €16 is too much. The prices of the 'Sides' are also not in proportion. 5 euro for a smashed avocado! They usually offer a wide variety of desserts, but unfortunately, there weren’t many left. We ordered the apple pie, which tasted great, but the portion was very small. Overall, it was a nice experience. However, I’d suggest reviewing the portion sizes, and the service could definitely be a bit quicker.

The food was delicious, we ordered the savory Dutch and the brave basque and they were both very good. New options that we had not ordered before. June was a magnificent server and she gave us great advice when ordering and about Amsterdam in general. The place is super cozy and nice. I recommend making reservations as it gets quite busy in weekends. I have also had the kale hash poached eggs which I think have been my favorite so far. I will definitely be back to try more things. We came here based on all the reviews and also based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. But honestly, we thought the food was just ok. Average and really nothing to rave about.

I really liked the atmosphere. Both indoor and outdoor areas are lovely. I do think the prices are way too high for the portion sizes. The flavours did not blow me away. The plating was nice but I felt that the quality of the food could be improved. I had the baguette with bresaola, which could have easily been elevated with a sourdough. I think it’s very basic compared to the price although the ambience was nice.

As much as we had hopes of liking the food, it failed. Service was just horrible. We waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order after we flagged them down and waited another 30 minutes for drinks, receiving a cold coffee which was clearly sitting somewhere. Food finally arrived after an hour and a half to find eggs Benedict that was over cooked, more hard boiled than poached and a sauce that was overly acidic. Safe to say, skip this location and try something more efficient.

Since it was very crowded inside, I stepped outside to wait so I wouldn’t be in the way. A staff member then came out, looked at me strangely, and asked if I didn’t want the food anymore. I was confused, and it felt a bit uncomfortable. Apparently, I was expected to pack it myself, which wasn’t clearly communicated. The food was truly great, but the service left a mixed impression. It seemed like the staff weren’t too happy to serve tourists at least, that’s how it felt to us.

Really chilled restaurant with great food and very accommodating staff. A great place to grab breakfast/lunch and then take a stroll into the city. Highly recommend the all around carnivore and the all around veggie. Everything is super flavourful - including the coffee! Well worth a visit even if it’s out of your way.

Food is very well seasoned and big portions. Can confirm that it tasted very much like NYC brunch (with this restaurant having “New York Brunch Bar” in the logo). Got a carnivore breakfast plate. Bacon was crispy, hashbrown had a nice kick to it with spice that tasted like shin-ramen, pancakes tasted very homemade. Came during a weekday around 12pm, no wait and not too crowded inside.

A reservation is highly encouraged since it does get packed quick. Waitress was extremely nice and food came out quick. Eggs were fluffy as were the pancakes. The bacon was crunchy and salty. The potatoes are crispy and light. If you get the chicken and waffles the waffle is thick and the chicken is flavored perfectly.

I’m honestly surprised this place is so popular and highly regarded. The brunch was fairly average and overpriced for the quality of food and service provided. Nothing about the experience was explicitly bad, but nothing stood out either — certainly not enough to warrant asking, “Do you have a reservation?” for two people at 1pm on a Monday. We shared the avocado toast, chicken and waffles, juice #3, and an iced latte. The chicken and waffles came with barely enough syrup for the portion size, and they charge extra for basic condiments — for example, €1.50 for hot sauce with the avocado toast. The juice was fine, but felt very basic and overpriced for the size/quality. It’s also worth noting that you order everything and view the menu via a QR code, so there’s minimal server interaction or hospitality involved. Overall, I left feeling pretty disappointed. This feels more like a touristy TikTok hotspot than a genuinely great brunch spot. There are several other places in the neighborhood I would recommend over Staring at Jacob.

When I entered this restaurant, it was a bit early for dinner, so there were only a few people. I told the waitress, "I made a reservation," to avoid being a no-show. However, she didn't understand what I was saying and asked me to repeat it more than five times. Honestly, my English isn't perfect, but I've never had any problems with simple conversations like "I made a reservation" during my time as a student in Europe. I don't have a strong accent either. She even loudly called her colleague to help her understand what I was saying. Whether it was intentional or not, I felt offended and ashamed. She said sorry after this happening and asked for my name but didn't actually check it. After that, I felt she was ignoring me on purpose. Even though she was busy, she didn't come over despite making several eye contacts with me until I directly called her over, and didn't listen what I was saying. I'm a Asian dining alone, and not sure if this was racial discrimination. I'll leave that interpretation up to you, the reader of this review. What is clear is that this experience completely ruined my good mood, and the food was neither delicious nor unique given its reputation and price. It seems like the restaurant is probably only famous because of its concept and good pictures.

The Avocado Show ios all about avocados- for sure the pancakes are sometimes else! Amazing and delicious- also a vegan opinion. In general some vegan options that are really tasty. Seats are available at the river outside & cool look inside of the restaurant.

Wow, look at those pictures... beautiful, right? Absolutely, but unfortunately, the flavors did not meet that same level. The ingredients were all super fresh and obviously put together with care. The burger was half the size I was expecting, though tasty. Service was timely, though managed from your phone on their application. The staff was happy to guide us through the process.

We were able to eat here on a Friday afternoon without reservation. We enjoyed their terrace near by the canal and our waitress was really nice and attentive. The food was colourful and the platting was beautiful! It was tasty and I’m really happy with the quality/price ratio.

The Avocado Show has an amazing menu, super healthy and tasty food. Especially for vegetarians and even vegans, but also for omnivores 🦖 The atmosphere is very pleasant, just don't expect a fancy romantic restaurant as it is a modern, American diner style which is absolutely fun.

The Breakfast Club was about 10 min walk from our hotel in Amsterdam, which had indoor and outdoor seating. Breakfast was delicious! The French Toast with Fruits was superb! The Croissant with butter and jam was great to start the day. Service was fast and friendly.

The Breakfast Club is a chill spot for brunch anytime. The vibe is relaxed and casual, not too crowded even on weekends. I love their fluffy pancakes perfectly soft and topped with fresh fruit. The huevos rancheros is also tasty, with a nice kick from the jalapeños. Their breakfast burger is a bit of a treat, loaded with all the good stuff. They’ve got options for vegans and vegetarians too, which is cool. Service can be a bit slow sometimes, but the food is worth the wait. A solid spot to kick off the day.

Our hotel recommended this place and frankly I don't know why. Service was pretty slow, but very friendly, from sitting down to being served it took around 30 minutes. The food was not good, basically unseasoned, and the driest Omelette I've ever eaten. The outside seating is nice!

Super cute place to grab a coffee or matcha to go. Everything is made well and the coffee was super smooth. Would definitely recommend. They have pastries too, even some vegan and gluten free options. I tried the almond bun (vegan) and it was good for a vegan pastry! Not really places to sit besides waiting to pick up your order but great service and good coffee!

I had another idea in mind, and I was disappointed. Although the coffee is good, the rest of the food menu is not appetizing at all. We ordered a cinnamon bun and a rye bread with cheese, and we did not like either the bun or the toast. The bun was extremely sweet, and the cheese rye bread was bland. Only the coffee is worth it. The establishment is very small, and there are too many people and noise.

Cardamom and cinnamon bun are both good, the mushroom danish is also good. Coffee and matcha latte are mediocre though. I like the interior, feels like sitting in a community cafe. The store should mind hygiene around the display area since when I visited at the end of August there’re some flies.

Good spot for breakfast/brunch. I got the ceaser toast, found the bread to be rock solid and no butter, chicken was pre cooked a heated up lewkwarm. Dish looked great but lacked in flavour and taste. Fresh orange juice was great and staff were lovely

Found this place on google maps as it was close to our hotel (a 2 min walk). Really great seating arrangement and friendly, helpful staff, especially when it came to allergies. Food and coffee was delicious and I will definitely be back soon.

Benji’s in Amsterdam is a nice little spot with a cool vibe, but honestly not really worth all the hype. I ordered a matcha and the egg brioche sandwich. The food was ok, nothing bad but also nothing that really stood out. I ended up walking 45 minutes to get there, which made it feel a bit underwhelming in the end. That being said, if you’re in the neighborhood it’s definitely worth checking out once. The place has a nice atmosphere and it seems like a good hangout spot, especially if you live close by. But if you’re planning to travel far just for it, I’d probably say skip it ; there are plenty of other cafés in Amsterdam that are just as good if not better.

Bro this is so good. Breakfast granolas are supreme. Its crazy how good it is. U gotta spend a bit, but you get unique flavors and insane quality in return. Nice location. Tbh heavily recommended for anyone

Bali Cheese Steak from the specials menu was a 10/10 burger. Perfect amount of spice, and extremely flavourful. I considered getting a second one but my stomach declined because it had no space left. Highly Recommend ✅✅

The food is delicious, they cook it from veggies collected in the garden. Quality is great! I liked they cook quite fast and there are enough of vegetarian dishes in the menu. They have only a few tables so it’s better to book in advance. Grapefruit and orange juice is tasty!

Excellent little spot, had the French toast and my only regret is that the bread was so small. Absolutely phenomenal. This is a very small spot, best for 2 people, there is a table on the 2nd floor that fits 4 but I would recommend making a reservation if you want to bring that many people.

Had a business meeting here and only a fresh mint tea so food i couldn't rate , The ambiance is nice, although the new owners are about to go into a make-over so once that is done I'll have to revisit it, i bet it's going to be more vibrant , on the first floor is ample room to sit in different couverts set-ups. On the second floor there's a designated area for Flex-work where you order through QR code.

I really love this Cafe, the atmosphere and service are always so welcoming. During the week, the second floor is kept laptop-free, which makes it even more special. I enjoy sitting there with my coffee, getting some work done in such a lovely and relaxing space.

Don't eat here. Overpriced Avocado toast is. Joke. Eggs fine toast too. Avocado turns out to be guacamole which is fine but it tastes exactly like the supermarket guacamole. Overly acidic not creamy and no taste of avocado. Edit. I did tell the waiter some Spanish guy and when I kindly told him I really didn't enjoy the avocado spread, he reacted like I insulted his mom. And got really defensive

The apple pie was great. The pancakes had the aftertaste of soap detergent. But the restaurant was loud, disorganized, the staff kept banging silverware Soo loudly, and lots of people kept walking around tables and disturbing the dining experience.

Love the concept. First time having a brunch at Ted's in AMS though. Super yummy food as per usual (and as per expectation). No flaws when it comes to the food itself, but it took quite a while to get it served. Service was a bit lacking. Issues with the coffee machine were not communicated properly. We were not asked whether we wanted a second round of drinks.

Ted’s is the perfect Amsterdam breaky spot — cozy, and full of charm. The staff are warm and welcoming, the food is fresh and beautifully done, and the coffee hits just right. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer and soak up the easy, happy vibe.

Went here for brunch with friends, but left quite disappointed. Service was quite bad, with the exception of one person, the people working there were inattentive and unpleasant. Unfortunately the food was even worse, especially the “lobster roll”. (On a good note, the waffle fries were nice - but a bit too much mayo for our liking). Would not recommend..

I have to say, as much as people rave about the pancakes, it was the juice that really stole the show for me. I ordered the pineapple juice, and it tasted like it had been freshly squeezed straight from the fruit—refreshing, vibrant, and full of flavor. As for the Mancake, it was just okay—not bad, but nothing to write home about. What did take us by surprise, though, was the shredded chicken. It was incredibly tender and seasoned just right—definitely a highlight of the meal. If you’re planning to drop by, I’d recommend giving that a try. They don’t accept split bill if you come with several friends. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole place has a laid-back, cozy vibe that made the experience even better. All in all, a lovely spot with a few standout items on the menu!

I would definitely recommend coming for a brunch between friends for the salted pancakes / toast. However I couldn’t finish the sweet pancakes we took 2 differents kinds and the pancake have a kind of weird taste, the chocolate sauce also had a very specific taste that I didn’t quite like. The fruit juice were good (except the watermelon one) Unfortunately we could not finish them, not even half of them

Visited Moak pancakes for brunch and really enjoyed their fluffy pancakes and their wide selection of delicious brunch options. I had ordered the pink lady, which was perfectly complemented with the salmon and créme fraîche and really enjoyed the mix of savoury and sweet flavours. Their watermelon juice was great and I liked that it was served in a unique way. The service was great and accommodating and we received our food pretty quickly after ordering, which was great. Would highly recommend this place for brunch

It is what it is advertised. Pancake in both Savory and sweet. We love The Weekend - the amount of maple syrup is just enough that doesn’t overpower the cheese.They also do non diary version. The staff is very friendly and treat us to us (adults) a pure ginger shot each as appetiser on the house - it’s serious good stuff this! The house special pistachios ice cream is top notch. We all (the including kids) came out feeling very satisfied indeed! On top of cuisine the atmosphere is great. They play vinyl records in different genre music too. Would recommend.

The pancakes were good overall, I just missed the contrast between sweet and salty, so I added a bit of maple syrup to my salmon pancake. The watermelon juice was also really nice. We also asked for the ginger shot and it was INTENSE, recommend o my when feeling sick 😳

I had a good experience at MOAK pancakes. They allowed us to sit anywhere. The guy at the front desk was very welcoming. The order was taken quickly. The pancake was hot when served and with maple syrup it was just too good. Recommended!!!

Nice place It’s like having a contemporary indian restaurant experience! Terrace have nice heaters so you won’t get cold. The wooden benches outside are quite hard without cushions, but blankets are provided on request Butter chicken for one was enough for two. Give a try to chaat of the day if you want something new and different. Mary’s Nest for the dessert was below average. I wont order it again.

It was a messy start of the evening… Waiting 15 minutes outside but ones inside Steve made everything up with his great service and the very nice food! It was sad that the Naan oven did not work. We opted for Chef's Menu and it was not worth the price! I think we should have selected the dishes from regular menu as we would have got better dishes for similar price. Anyway, that's our mistake as the host had let us know the dishes within the Chef's menu. The reason for 3 star rating are - 1. For this class of restaurant, I would expect certain level of service which includes changing of dishes after every course. Do you really expect us to eat main course in a dish which was already dirty from prior course? The taste would mixup if we eat main course in the same dish. 2. The dishes are really small (marked in the image). The size of dish is good for starter but not for main course. How do you expect one to eat Naan and veggie or curry in the same dish? As an Indian you would certainly know how we eat bread and rice with curry or sabzi. 3. The dishes served were shareables. If you do not provide serving spoon with the dishes, how do you expect us to serve it in our plates? Should we all dip the Naan in the same bowl and eat? That's unhygienic! Again, for the class of restaurant, we shouldn't be asking for spoons and dishes. 4. We were 5 of us for dinner and were surprised that splitting of checks was not allowed. I completely understand that splitting by 5 could be a problem but splitting by 2 is very common practice. The food tasted well. But overall service didnt live up to the rating standards. I was very excited to bring my colleagues from US for dinner at a good Indian restaurant (per google rating) but everyone was disappointed by the quality of service. It feels bad when people say to you that food is good but wouldn't come next time. I really hope that quality of service improves!!!

After arriving in Amsterdam, I really fancied some pancakes and being a very short walk outside of the station this place was perfect. It was a little busy when I arrived however I still got a seat straightaway. Firstly just want to say that the staff were brilliant! Really friendly and helpful, they were always smiling and created a nice atmosphere. A great selection of food and drinks are available but I went for the basic maple and bacon option and a coffee. The coffee arrived almost straight away and was lovely. Like I said it was a little busy but my pancake arrived about 5-7 minutes later so still very quick service, and these were equally nice. Really fluffy and just spot on. It was a really good sized portion, (I got through about 2 and a half of them before they beat me) and the bacon wasn’t quite as snappy/crispy as I like, but they were nicely cooked and tasted great. And to top it off, after I paid they gave me a nice little keyring to remember the place and I personally love it when places do things like this. It’s just a really nice touch and I’ll always remember this place when I see it, and it really set the tone for what was an awesome day in an amazing city. 🙂 When I’m next in Amsterdam I’ll definitely be coming back here. The only thing I can say to just be aware of is if it’s busy, it can be a light bit tight if you sit outside as you’ll be sitting quite close to others. For me it wasn’t a problem as I’m not very big, but there was still a little bit of manoeuvring to get in and out, but the food and service you get is top notch so well worth it. In fact while I was eating a couple turned up with some suitcase and the staff offered to keep the cases safe inside so they could sit outside. Overall pretty good experience. The food was good, there was wide range of options on the menu. I got something basic, but looking at the food on other tables some of the pancakes can be quite decadent. Coffee was good here, with options for oat or soy milk. I will say the temperature inside the restaurant was very hot and a bit of airflow would have made the dining experience more pleasant. The servers were nice, but limited interactions with customers because it was busy.

You can't go to the Netherlands and not have a Dutch pancake, and you shouldn't go to Amsterdam and not have one at Amsterdam Pancakes! Short queue, worth the wait, had one savoury and one sweet between us and some refreshing lemonades. All delicious! Would definitely come again and keep working through the menu - lots of tasty classics and modern combos to try.

I recently visited Pancakes Amsterdam and it was such a delightful experience! The Dutch pancakes we ordered were melt-in-your-mouth and with just the right balance of sweetness. I tried the Dutch pancake with sweet strawberries, hazelnuts and whipped cream, and it was absolutely delicious. The presentation was lovely too! Portion size was generous. The atmosphere of the shop was friendly and inviting. Staff were attentive and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, I’d highly recommend Pancakes Amsterdam to anyone looking for a comforting brunch spot or a sweet treat / savoiry pancakes any time of day. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu before my holiday comes to an end!

Went to Pancakes Amsterdam for a solo dinner and had a decent experience overall. I was seated quickly and the waiter came by within about 5 minutes—friendly enough, though didn’t introduce himself. The wait time for food wasn’t too bad (around 20 minutes), and the menu does a good job of explaining that the pancakes are made fresh, so I knew what to expect. I ordered the ham & cheese pancake with a fried egg. It was okay taste-wise—not really my thing, but that’s on me for picking a savory option. I’d definitely come back to try one of their sweet pancakes instead, which seem more popular. Really appreciated the smooth contactless payment option at the end. Overall, a solid spot to try Dutch-style pancakes in a relaxed setting. Also love the outdoor of the restaurant!

A great New Zealand inspired brunch restaurant. They’ve existed for many years, and the service has been good whenever I visited. Food doesn’t take long to arrive, and the portions will definitely fill you up! The prices are a bit higher than overall in Amsterdam, but the quality makes up for that. You get what you pay for, and I haven’t ever had a bad meal here. The music is also nice and soft so it’s easy to talk. Sometimes waits can get long over the weekend, especially in the summer, so an online reservation helps.

Fast and polite service with loads of sweet and savoury options for food! The matcha was nice but very milky - however it was overall a lovely visit and I’d definitely return for brunch.

Cute spot with tasty dishes, but overhyped and overpriced We had brunch at PLUK and sat inside — it’s a really cozy and cute place, very crowded. The presentation of the dishes was original and elegant, and the food tasted good overall. I had the Norwegian eggs, which were tasty, but my friend’s PLUK breakfast was a miss — the sourdough bread was super stale, hard like a rock. Unfortunately, the table wasn’t very comfortable, the cutlery was dirty when we sat down, and the toilets had a noticeable smell. It’s definitely overpriced for what you get, but still a charming spot if you want something pretty and Instagram-worthy.

Overhyped, overpriced, bad service. Long waiting. We got our food delivered 10min apart from each other even tho we ordered together. Very small bowls. Dirty knife and fork. Eggs Benedict too much cooked. A bit too much lemonjuice on the avocado sourdough. Different types of tomatoes when the menu says cherry tomatoes. A lot of oil without taste. The bread was good but the knife needed to be better to cut it. Very small tables very close together. There are much better worth it breakfast spots in Amsterdam.

The food is dry. The sauce on the brioche sandwich is only on the outside, there is none on the inside. The Norwegian eggs are obviously overcooked. Overall, it's edible, but I would say that the price is too high for this kind of food, and if you have to wait in line, it's definitely not worth it. P.S. The bathroom has seen better days. There are interiors designed to look old, but here it's compounded by the fact that it really hasn't been renovated in a very long time. The flush button is broken, and there are cleaning products right next to it...

We had a tough time finding it. I think it would help to have clearer directions. If you are looking for a narrated tour this is not that. This was very relaxing eating and drinking and moving slowly around in the canals. The staff were very helpful getting my sister on the boat. It was a large step in from the dock. Very pleasant experience Watch your email because they ask you to pre order the day before.

We had a wonderful sunny brunch while cruising through Amsterdam’s canals and along the river. The service was excellent, our drinks arrived right away, and throughout the meal the staff remained super attentive. There were a few issues with the boat, but honestly, everything else was perfect. The attentive service really made the experience.

We will do again!! We found this cruise by watching YouTube. I wish we could credit the couple that toured and suggested. The food looked great online and in person. For such a small prep and serving staff (just 4!), everyone was sat, fed, and checked on regularly. We were sent a link the night before to order our meals and had the option of ordering more than one entree per person for a small extra fee, that was cool because my guy usually eats 2 entrees. The drinks were perfect and we expected them to be light, but after just one I felt tipsy! The seats are low, so you kind of fave to sit up straight to see over the side of the boat. We sat close to the bar to stay out of the direct light under the overhead tarp. Thawte have the ability to close the entire top, but didn't need to.

The boat is nice but that time it is so loud because of groups of people around like shouting most of the time. We had the bottomless drinks but there were just few options for it, they could have added coffee on the bottomless drinks menu. The food is ok nothing special. I think they could have made the food better and the drinks with more variants. It's ok to experience but would not do it again.

I’ve been multiple times - Amazing hospitality and best brunch food you can find on a boat in Amsterdam. Had the pleasure of meeting Miss G herself and tasting her homemade hot sauce along side brunch which was delicious and hearing about how the brunch boat came about, not to mention the cute candies that come with the mimosas! They were also kind enough to help me retrieve my forgotten phone so would 100% recommend people to go!

Beautiful canal boat. Excellent food. Lovely atmosphere and very good value for money. The cruise lasted about 90 minutes. The only downside was that it took quite a long time to serve everybody and we were the last table to get our food so the cruise finished right as we finished eating. The serving staff seemed a bit stressed. That did not however detract from our overall experience. I would highly recommend Miss G’s Brunch Boat.

Wonderful experience, we didn’t have a lot of time in Amsterdam and when we discovered Miss G’s it gave us an opportunity to have a lovely brunch with our party and explore the canals of Amsterdam. The food was wall made and delicious, the staff were really attentive making sure we had drinks and food. The canal boat was lovely, far exceeded our expectations. I just landed in Amsterdam in the morning, then took the train to city center and walked in the city, passed by this restaurant at around 8:30 am saw many ppl queuing there and the food looked awesome then I just queued there as well. The eggs are nice taste and smells good. The service is nice too, friendly and easy to understand. They all can speak English I guess. Inside is a bit noisy, ppl are talking and laughing, but that’s life I love it.

Loved this place! Great atmosphere and a nice variety of options. Just one small thing: we ordered a croissant with Nutella and expected the croissant to be filled with nutella, but it came with a small bottle of Nutella on the side instead. 😅

The breakfast dishes are incredible — everything is well-served, delicious, and beautifully presented. The service is excellent: fast, friendly, and attentive. Always so great to get back to Omelegg 🥚 Huge portions, nice vibe, and super flexible — you can go for any ingredients you like. My favourite is the Salmon Deluxe 🐟 with avocado, spinach & truffle cheese, just perfect combo. Love their cosy countryside vibe inside — with chickens, hay, and other rustic details. They also have a weekly special ingredient, so it’s worth checking regularly 👌

Food - lovely omelletes cooked well. Service - friendly service but our order was slightly incorrect. Atmosphere - a bit of a frantic atmosphere which was not wholly necessary as it wasn't overly busy. They have a table at the back which is large and great for bigger groups.

This little gem surprised me in the most positive way. It’s not the most aesthetic or popular place so I didn’t have high hopes but my word was the food and service amazing. I ordered the Big Ben breakfast and it was 10/10, fluffy eggs, amazing sausage and loved the bread aswell. I also ordered their Peach Bellini and it was also just as good. The staff was also so friendly and welcoming and the prices are fairly reasonable too. 10/10 I will be coming back as a regular.

If you’re looking for a refreshing, tasty lunch stop in Amsterdam look no further! We stopped here after a 4 hour countryside tour and we were delighted with our quiche and Dutch cheese sandwich. Service was great as well and prices were reasonable. It was truly just what we needed!

On our final day in our brief stint in Amsterdam we popped in here for breakfast. We passed it a previous day but had just eaten so couldnt go in. When we did it was absolutely worth it. I got the Yogurt Granola breakfast (pictured) and my Girlfriend got the French Breakfast (Not Pictured) and these two comined was the best shared breakfast experience I mightve ever had. Loved being able to exchange pieces and put everything together ourselves, wonderful experience, polite staff, and overall looked very cool. During our family trip last week, we visited this bakery twice. Each time, we received exceptionally polite and friendly service, and our children had a wonderful time in the small play area. A really cute local spot! Stumbled across this place which is easily missed. It’s really beautiful inside and there were a good mix of Dutch people eating, which is always a good sign! It made me feel like a local (even just for the hour 😅). They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and sweet options. I had the soup and quiche platter and it was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, tasty and healthy. It was just what I needed! I recommend asking for the daily specials! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I’m just sad that I’m only in Amsterdam for the day as I would happily come back tomorrow. Thank you for the lovely experience!

The place itself is really cute and cosy, we loved it. The food we had was absolutely amazing, so tasty and well presented. I also tried the pink matcha latte and was genuinely impressed. The matcha was really smooth, no powdery bits at all, just perfectly mixed. We also ordered an apple juice, expecting something freshly squeezed, but it came from a bottle and was just poured into a glass, which was a bit disappointing to be honest. The only downside was the service, which was quite slow. We ended up waiting a fair bit and I noticed there was only one waitress working the whole café, so they probably had a staff shortage. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but then again, most places in Amsterdam are, so I can’t really complain. Overall, a lovely spot with great food and drinks, just don’t go if you’re in a rush.

Cute, little place in the middle of the centre. Cosy atmosphere on the inside, looked a bit crouded on the inside, but still nice to be. I sat on the terrasse, lovely to see people passing by while I was waiting for my freshly made ice tea and acai bowl. Very friendly waitress, the place has got an eye for detail with their matching straws and napkins ☺️.

Great breakfast and brunch place. We sat upstairs on the high counter without any reservations on a Saturday morning. We had two portions of the pancakes with spicy chicken and avo on toast. Both very good and filling. Coffees were ok. Hopefully they can improve the coffee quality. Otherwise both food and service were exceptional and the staff is very friendly too.

Great service, coffee was good and the food was just OK. The eggs and hollandaise sauce desperately needed some seasoning and the poached eggs were on the overcooked side and were set - not runny. Not a bad place to visit for breakfast despite the words above.

Awesome food alongside canal. Very peaceful and lovely atmosphere. Magdelana (maddy) gave us very good service. She is smiling, understanding, courteous and polite. My brother wanted corrals coffee which was not on the menu but she understood the order and got it made for him and it was amazing. Great experience, service is good, had their pancake, coffee and home made kombucha- all good. Would return for avocado toast. Edit- Did go back for the mortgage toast and it did not disappoint. Tried their chai as well and it was well balanced. The service though felt more relaxed today.

The Cottage is a great little spot in Amsterdam if you’re craving proper English pub fare, done just a notch nicer than you might expect. Came here looking for something different and got what we wanted. Shepherds pie (takes around 20 mins to be served) Scotch egg Scones Pretty tasty stuff, good coffee (stooker), very friendly staff, family owned business. Will also try the other things in the menu. Very happy experience overall.

This place is very popular! It’s always busy, and now I understand why: it’s cozy, the portions are generous, and everything is delicious. They also have great vegetarian and vegan options. The staff was very attentive, and the prices are fair. I will definitely be coming back!

I went on a Sunday, and I really wanted some eggs for breakfast, and this was one of the spots I found on Google Maps. There was, I think, a wait time of 10 to 15 minutes. There's a lot of outdoor seating options, but it's also super crowded. The menu seems great. There is a lot of interesting stuff. I had some egg dish with kimchi in it. It was interesting, but I don't know if it was worth the wait. My drink arrived way later than my food. I don't think the service was that great; the wait time was due to nobody looking at the line to seat us even though there were enough tables for everyone. The meal itself was good, but it was cold when it arrived, so I don't know. And the outside tables are just way too crammed that I’m in the middle of other people’s conversations. Still, good food, though.

We went on a Saturday morning around 11 and we could easily find a spot to sit outside. There was outdoor heating as well so we could take our jackets off. We got the eggs benedict and shakshuka and liked both of them! Eggs benedict comes with two poached eggs and crumpets. If you are very hungry I suggest getting another smaller extra dish to share. It was a really nice location too, we preferred sitting outside because the inside was a bit crammed.

Stunning brunch! Had the Oeuf brioche cube which was so good. Such a cute brunch spot with great ambience. We sat inside, but if we had sat out, would still have been been comfortable as outdoor heaters.

Ambiance and food were OK. Our server was either hungover or pissed at the world. Couldn't make eye contact, was surly and curt, no greeting or smile, set our coffee on the table so hard it spilled. No apology either. The cook making our orders was talking and laughing non stop on his phone throughout. Not necessarily a bad thing but he wasn't wearing a mask or mouth guard so it was unsettling to imagine all that spittle on our food. Might have been an off kilter day for the team but will still not return even though I love the egg concept and menu.

We went for Sunday brunch around 12:30, we waited in line for approx 15 minutes. The service was kind, typically slow, we had to call them most of the time. The food was quite nice, bit of a twist on the shakshuka.

We ate The Jerry, Tuna Melt and Beefy Breakfast and they were all great. Personally as a huge tuna fan, the tuna melt was great but make sure to add schemears because it really makes a difference! Highly recommend!

We went around noon on a sunday. There were a lot of people and we waited quite a long time to receive our order of 2 Jerry's bagels. There was a rush and I get it, they're working as fast as they can. The staff were super nice too. Anyway, we got the smoked salmon on a sesame bagel and the filling was so so good. The bagel itself was not that great to be honest but I have Montreal bagel standards so that plays in for sure. I felt like it was too tough and dense. Anyway, I would still go back because I feel like the contents inside the sandwiches are super good !

Decent bagels. They weren’t fluffy but they had that classic bagel chew that indicates that they must’ve done a baking soda wash while making the bagels which is CRUCIAL! Good on them! I had bacon and egg on poppyseed. Egg was dry :( bring sauce but good amount of toppings on bagels. The staff were so kind and the atmosphere is just adorable

A nice and honest spot for a bagel- not trying to do too much which I appreciate. Prices are very fair in comparison to surrounding competitors. The bodega classic on a garlic salt bagel was 10/10. Will definitely be back to try more out flavours!

Fortunately, we were able to sit outside because it was very small and incredibly hot inside. The coffee isn’t anything special, but it’s not bad either. Unfortunately, the bagels were quite stale, though the fillings were decent. The brisket was a bit tough, but overall it was still tasty. The Sabich bagel, however, is truly next level—the flavors are absolutely fantastic! By the way, there was also a surprisingly large and clean restroom, which is something I’ve experienced differently in Amsterdam. Overall, it is a bit overpriced, but not too bad.

Had breakfast 3 times here during my recent stay in Amsterdam. I had a sesame bagel with schmear, the classic bodega on a salt garlic bagel, and bacon breakfast on poppy. 2 of the 3 (sesame bagel w/schmear, bacon breakfast) were ok. I found the bagels to be a bit on the bland side, and just missing "something." The bacon was also a bit disappointing. On the flip side, the salt garlic bagel was fantastic. It didn't have too much garlic, and had the right amount of salt imo. It was definitely my favorite of the 3, and the egg and cheese went well with it. The coffee offerings here were fine, and pretty standard. Overall, a solid place to grab breakfast.

Food was amazing though the drinks were mediocre. Though it was very pretty and photo worthy. Food did take awhile to come but it was huge and delicious.

I don’t understand why an establishment have to charge € 0,50 for oatmilk. Most places its given freely and if its an addition it is 20 or 30 cents. So basically a liter of milk gives 5-7 coffees and the markup the consumer is charged pays for liters. The slice of cake (supposedly matcha) was € 7 I was shocked there is no matcha taste so I think its food coloring. Even in patisserie/hype bakeries 7 eur is a stretch. Mind you chocolate increased a lot, this has NOTHING with choco in it. This standard pound cake has nothing which can clarify the price for butter, eggs, sugar and probably a cheap matcha. If you buy the loaf, it had approx 7-8 slices it will cost nearly € 60. Let that just sink in your brain. It is RIDICULOUS establishments feel they can get away with these prices. The staff is ok, try their best. Btw: you have to get a seat, go back down to order, wait for your order and bring it up the steep stairs yourself. So I honestly don’t feel they can justify this place as a horeca establishment and most def cannot justify tipping. The consumer does the work and the place only wants to be cute/frenzy/content creation. And a quick turnover like cattle. Places like these were cutesy in its time but they have forgotten how authenticity and fairness works in the consumer marketplace. Moreover if the taste is below standards - ask yourself WHY and HOW is this justifiable? Why support this…. My total was € 11.25

Good food though a bit pricey, but bad bad bad service. We had to wait a long time, they forgot half of the order, did not even say sorry, and when I reminded them ab my order they prepared it and forgot to bring it to my table. Also I had the açaí bowl and it’s ok but, there were barely any toppings and it was really small, which I didn’t expect bc it was 13,50€

Great breakfast place. Cappuccino was perfect and the food was wonderful. It took us a while to walk there but was worth it. Just around the corner was a street food market with tons of great fruit, snacks etc.

I found this place on Google and tried it. It was amazing Sunday morning find. The vibes were amazing. I had pancakes and they were very tasty and fluffy too. A bit on the sweeter side though. And a bit on cheaper side from the fancy restaurants in the city centre. That’s a plus point.

We had brunch and ordered a mix of food—a burger, a veggie toast, and a special toast for our friend who’s allergic to sesame. The food was awesome, and the staff was super friendly. I can’t remember the names of the drinks we picked, but they were really good too.

I don't understand how people think this is a cozy place, it's not! It's inhospitable without a character, very unwelcoming. The chairs are very uncomfortable, it's like asking you to leave asap. The only thing they welcome you to do is to give them the tip 😆 The coffee was ok but the slice of cake was horribly dry and I had to throw it away. They keep the cakes outside in this small window. There is no service, you even have to put your dirty cup inside the buckets.

Had such a lovely experience during my visit to Amsterdam while I was traveling from the US. The coffee is delicious! I think it was one of the best flat whites I have ever had. To make things ever better, the baristas were so friendly and patiently explained everything. I went in twice because I enjoyed it so much. The coffee literally tastes like cherries! When I went in- they had different espresso offerings for each day so it was so fun to compare the two flat whites I had. I also got their loaves while I was there. Very moist and delicate. This is probably a coffee shop I will miss dearly

Got an iced hojicha on the last day they do iced drinks (27 September). It was good and my first time trying hojicha (tastes like matcha a red bean). But after that date they only do hot which is quite disappointing. The vegan loaves are good. They have a lot of coffee selection as well but no seating and set up of cafe is quite weird but staff is extremely kind.

We loved this place! I had the white chocolate matcha and my partner had a cappuccino, both were amazing. What really stood out was the atmosphere; it felt like we were part of the café rather than just visitors. The space is completely open with no separation between the staff area and where customers sit, it’s like you’re behind the counter with them. That setup, combined with the friendly team and the cool, laid-back vibe, makes it such a special spot. Definitely one of our favorite coffee stops in Amsterdam!

Rum baba is my neighbourhood coffee shop. I really enjoy this place for a quick to go coffee, they make fantastic flat whites, and they really know their coffee. There is very limited seating, so I have never sat inside and there is other places on the street that provide better and more affordable pasteries so I really see this as a take away coffee spot with some of the best coffee in the city. I have however had mixed results with their beans, I bought a bag of one of their diamond blends and it tasted very chemically flavoured, I couldn't explain it but it was very expensive and I had to throw away most the bag even after serving my friends some. It smelt very strong of almost candy I am not sure what it was. But all of their yellow bag espresso beans are fantastic.

This place really cares about their coffee. Extremely high quality espresso, own roasted beans. Reccomend trying a few different beans and taking some home. This is NOT a brunch restaurant masquerading as a coffee shop, it is somewhere you come for something properly special.

I never tried Turkish brunch/breakfast before and this place didn’t disappoint. We loved all the dishes we ordered (can’t remember the names) we ordered a wrap and a dish with yogurt and beef. Everything was great except one thing, the moment we finished our food the waitress was slightly pushing us to leave the place to get other people in the table. I found it a bit too much since we were still enjoying a good conversation with coffee. For me brunch is more than eating but somehow it felt like they overbooked the place, and we stayed less than 1 and a half hour. Not sure if I’ll come back

Food is delicious, authentic, extremely worthed for the price. We had the Turkish breakfast for 2 people that included also some tea cups and it was just the perfect “journey” I was looking for. This is already my second visit, and I can confidently say they serve the best coffee in the area. The coffee is always smooth, delicious, and truly a treat for the soul! The desserts are wonderful too — I’ve tried the banana bread and almond croissant, and my son really enjoyed the chocolate croissant. A huge thank you to the friendly staff who create such a warm and cozy atmosphere and make this incredible coffee. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

A fantastic breakfast experience next to Amsterdam-Zuid train station. Enjoyable casual atmosphere, staff was incredibly friendly and we enioyed a customized order of avacado toast, banana bread and almond croissant. They also made me a special dark hot chocolate with espresso shot added (like a mocha) which was recommended by the waitress. If you find yourself in the Zuid area you owe it yourself to stop by!

Ordered yoghurt bowl, and on the picture you can see - it came with a rotten banana. When I asked the waiter to have a look, he didn’t see anything wrong, so I had to ask to replace it. Then, they brought it with just more apple instead.. we had to wait so long to get served too, although it was Friday afternoon and empty. The only positive was the waitress from Oceania, very sweet and nice.

The cafe is clean and bright and they have nice croissants. “downtown croissant” is quite special and I like it. Maple syrup makes it a bit too sweet tho. A lot of spaces and tables which are nice. It feels not very lively and lacks of welcoming feeling, more like a business area.

Quite rude server and waiters. They seem to only offer discounts via keep cup when it suits them. Have gone for months with sometimes a discount offerred and others not, dependent on who is serving. When asking about the discount they say (oh only when its above X euro do we offer it). their own menu states you ALWAYS get a discount... i will stop going to this location and happily pay more now at the BLACK brewer down the street after this

We had great cappuccino and latte. Banana cake was somewhat not our taste but the waiter was kind to exchange with an apple pie. It was professional and friendly manner. We appreciate it so much.

Great place to stop in and try an amazing and seemingly authentic dutch pancake! I’ve had several of their options, Pancake with Bacon, Cheese, Mushroom and/or Onion is my favorite. Any pancake choice is good though. The poffertjes were not my favorite (a little bit “soft” or wet, looked like banana slices). They have outdoor seating when it’s nice weather and the inside has plenty of seating and rooms.

We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, as follows in decreasing order: - french onion soup (very generous with the cheese) - bread with garlic spread (rich and creamy) - Norwegian pancake (not quite what we expected for the dough but the filling was tasty) We were lucky we can slightly earlier (around 5pm on a Saturday) as the crowds and queue outside started building after a while.

Tried the autumn special pancake - super delicious! The beetroot pancake doesn’t have the raw taste of beetroot usually has - instead the pancake base is mildly sweet and tastes like figs. Service is very attentive. Perfect way to end the day!

Greenwoods menu is well considered, offering something for everyone. What you can be sure of is the quality of any dish you order will be at a high level. I can’t say that very often at all. Consistency is a superpower here, with everything I tried being outstanding. The chicken burger was my personal highlight amidst an entire reel of excellence. It was succulent, flavoursome, and relied upon balance in a way you don’t find for a cafe staple normally. It was one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. Massive statement, but completely verifiable; just come give it a try. The lava cake was decadent and rich, the pancakes made my heart sing. I’ll stop now because I could otherwise go on forever. Great venue. Great service. Utterly outstanding food. Nice work, Greenwoods. You made a fan out of this Aussie traveller.

This is a super cute little cafe! The coffee was wonderful! The eggs Benedict was a bit odd as it wasn't served on an English muffin, but the hash browns were some of the best that I've ever had! It was definitely on the pricey side, but I would still go back for sure! Our server was really nice and she did a good job.

Fine tuned to British taste buds for any homesick tourists. In spite of that the brunch was excellent, filling, delicious and well balanced. Great choice and on e of the better sources of tea in the city. It's tiny so be prepared to wait. Huge respect to the staff that capably handled all the rude customers.

Cozy and fragrant, with the feeling that you’re cared for with love. The food tastes fresh and wonderfully homemade. The staff is lovely, and the view of the canal gives the place a magical atmosphere.

Spoiler: you need to wait outside to get a spot but hold on, do it, its worth it. I don’t know if I had better eggs Benedict in my entire life (they were so good I didn’t catch a photo of them). The place is very cozy and homy. And the staff is amazing.

Small pancake shop with only 4 or 5 tables. They have gluten free and vegan options. Plenty of toppings to choose from. I got the apple and cinnamon husband got the chocolate banana and almond. Portions are huge. Best to share one pancake.

Really yummy pancakes and rolled up nicely for easy eating. We were in a hurry to make it to a canal cruise, so we got there right when it opened. The staff was quick and because of the way the pancakes were rolled up, it was quick to eat. We’re vegan and they had a vegan pancake option which you can substitute in. You can choose from some signature pancake or add your own toppings. We had Everybody’s Sweetheart and Dutch Delight. Both very delicious and filling. We don’t eat onion or garlic, so the Dutch Delight was one of the savory ones that we could eat. I’m sure there are others, but didn’t inquire more since we were in a hurry. The shop is small so you may not get a place to sit. It got crowded very fast.

Nice, cozy spot for a Dutch pancake. Prices ranging from about €6 to €14 for a pancake depending on how much you want. Good value for money, nice staff, just wasn’t any space to sit inside.

Tasty and filling, if not typical, vegan pancakes. Not a lot of sitting space, but time it right and you'll get a spot. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the experience.

Café Restaurant De Ysbreeker is a delightful gem by the river that captures the essence of local Amsterdam charm. The platter with cheese and salami was a highlight – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly curated to showcase typical Dutch tastes. We complemented it with some excellent beers and a fine wine, each selection enhancing the relaxed yet refined atmosphere. The location is stunning, with beautiful views of the river, making it a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the surroundings. One of the best aspects of De Ysbreeker is its authentic, local vibe, a refreshing break from the more tourist-heavy spots. Highly recommend for a genuine Amsterdam experience. Four stars well-deserved!

We came to this cafe before an afternoon bike ride from Amsterdam to Leiden. Service quite fast, good dishes, presentation of the dish could be improved. Friendly staff and good price.

Ysbreeker setting new standards- especially for the Caesar salad. No chicken, no bacon, just a few leaves and one lonely egg sets you back €17. Add two drinks and some bland fries and boom, €50 gone. A true fine dining experience, if you’re a rabbit. 3 stars for the fast service and ambiance.

A very nice spot to enjoy a sunny day. They have a great atmosphere, local people of all ages. They have a large terrace, and also the interior has a lot of space. They have a wide variety of dishes to eat, the menu is not bad at all. We ordered 2 omelettes with ham, and some poached eggs. Everything was delicious. Great choice of restaurant.

Very nice local coffee shop. We enjoyed our breakfast there a lot. Do not miss their homemade apple pie.

Enjoyed the breakfast and the atmosphere. I ordered a flat white and a hot chocolate, but a cappuccino was served instead of the hot chocolate. After clarifying, I asked for it to be replaced with the correct drink, but the cappuccino was still included on the bill.

We loved this place. We went there 3 times during our week in Amsterdam. It’s a good option for breakfast. But the most important reason to visit is the apple pie. It is absolutely delicious. The location is nice and a couple of the outdoor tables are right by the canal. The service is friendly and kind. Highly recommend.

40 years old Koffiehuis run by 2nd generation, come before 9am to feel the deep & warm local vibe without tourists

The products are not best but they are fresh. Focaccias and pizzas were delicious but we didn’t like the cookies and cinnamon bun. The tables are very dirty I think no one cleans or wipes them. We struggled to sit at a table and eventually we cleaned our own table.

I had them for breakfast. Their bakeries are excellent. They have lots of vegetarian and cheese stuff, so it's good for halal too. They have tea, hot coffee, and iced coffee. The coffee wasn't great. I got a flat white, and the beans tasted old and bitter. They have a big indoor seating area. They always have a queue, but they are fast. The staff are friendly. I would recommend basil tomato toast, butter sandwich, and cheese sandwich.

Had a really nice breakfast at this wonderful bakery. Everything is fresh and baked on-site. The space is large, the service is friendly and efficient, and the pastries are excellent. The cinnamon bun was a bit dry and lacked a strong cinnamon flavor, but the pain au chocolat and pain aux raisins were absolutely delicious. The cappuccino and the espresso were also very good. I’d definitely recommend this place!

A great place for breakfast if you happen to be in the area. There's a huge variety of confections, most of which are great.. there's very decent coffee as well, so that is icing on the cake (pun intended!). You order the food and then take it to your table .. you have to go and pick up your coffee too which works fine.. the seating area is spacious and has the nouveau 'industrial vibe', which is cosy and welcoming. The freshly pressed orange juice is great as well... Recommended!
