Pizza restaurant
La Perla Pizzeria is a popular spot in Jordaans Little Italy, known for its thin-and-crispy Roman-style pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven. Since 2009, they have been serving up some of the best pizzas in town, using imported produce from Italy such as buffalo mozzarella, nduja, and cinta senese fennel salami.
Absolutely the most delicious dinner of my entire trip! The freshly made pizza was incredible, and the pizza chef was amazing—tossing the dough with impressive skill! I highly recommend dining in, no matter how long the wait for a table—it’s totally worth it! We even got a delicious tiramisu to end the meal. Thank you so much! The pizza was so good, we came back two days in a row!
Serena J — Google review
They offer wood-oven Italian pizza that was very delicious and flavorful. The kitchen is across from the restaurant and also handles takeout orders. Since the restaurant was fully booked, we ordered from the kitchen side. Fortunately, they had a beautiful table where we could enjoy our pizza fresh out of the oven! The staff were very friendly, and we truly enjoyed the experience
Roxana H — Google review
Absolutely delicious pizza! 🍕 The crust was thin and crispy, the toppings were super fresh, and the flavor was perfect. The staff were friendly and the place had a great cozy vibe. Highly recommend La Perla Pizzeria if you’re craving authentic Italian pizza in Amsterdam!
Salman B — Google review
It's a pizzeria a bit above average for Amsterdam. The prices are also a bit higher. It's comprised of two shops facing each other: a bakery on one side and a restaurant on the other. The pizzas are for one and a half people, but if you're not too hungry, they'll serve two.
Sky — Google review
Great pizzas! Atmosphere was on point, good relaxing music to set the mood, the pizzas had a great under carriage with a thin but very tasty crust. Not too much and not too little toppings aswell, just perfect. Customer service was also pretty good. Would recommend
Finntastic — Google review
I went to this place following ChatGPT advice while in Amsterdam and it didn’t disappoint. The pizza and tiramisu both hit the spot and were super delicious. The pizza crust and flavor were delish! Highly recommended when visiting Amsterdam and it’s located in a super cozy, beautiful, and not so touristic neighborhood.
Nestor H — Google review
Delicious pizza in a central location. Their kitchen is across the street where you can see the oven and how they cook the pizzas. Very good taste, attentive service. Nice selection of pizza.

De Pizzabakkers is a popular chain of pizzerias in Amsterdam, with five locations across the city. They are known for their carefully selected Italian ingredients and wood-burning ovens that produce some of the finest thin crust pizzas in town. The menu features a refined selection of pizzas topped with fresh cheese, meats, and veggies, along with classic Italian dishes like bruschetta and tiramisu.
A cosy little pizzeria with a relaxed neighbourhood vibe. The pizzas are on the crispier side with the Pepperoni Da Noi offering stacks of flavour. Meanwhile the sprinkle of olive oil & sea salt on the pistachio gelato was a fine addition to finish.

This cozy pizza spot is perfectly located next to a charming little park and a peaceful canal. Lovely idea for grabbing a pizza and enjoying it outdoors when the sun is out. They serve a variety of delicious pizzas, including a special “Pizza of the Month” that’s always worth trying. What I really appreciate is their attention to different dietary preferences. They have tasty vegan options. Plus, they offer Italian soft drinks like Italian cola and ltalian beers and prosecco, which adds authentic touch to the meal. The interior is beautifully designed and they even have a dedicated takeaway counter so you don’t have to wait long if you’re in a hurry. Highly recommend this place whether you're a pizza fan, a vegan foodie, or just looking for a great spot to enjoy good food by the water! Forgot to mention. Staffs are also very welcoming and kind too :)

After a long and unexpected trip to Maastricht, the wife and I were tired and just looking for some comfort food. We found this unassuming place close by and had the most romantic evening ever. The food is way too good for the price, the staff is very nice and the lighting and atmosphere made me us feel like we’re on our first date again. Definitely recommend the house made tiramisu!

sgropino was delish! Nice lemonade. thin base on pizza with fresh ingredients!
Alisha P — Google review
Absolutely loved my visit to De Pizzabakkers! The pizza was fantastic – thin, crispy crust with fresh, high-quality toppings that made every bite delicious. I also tried the Aperol Spritz, and it was perfect: light, refreshing, and just the right balance. The staff were so friendly and attentive, making me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a great meal.
Onur O — Google review
Very cozy little pizza restaurant. The atmosphere is nice. They have Italian style pizzas, and some special Italian starters. I really liked the eggplant-cheese-mousaka-like starter (I cannot remember the name sorry!). We had the pizza with mushroom and bacon. There was not so much topping, but even the pizza crust was tasty!
Qiao W — Google review
Love this place!! Instantly became one of my favourites in the city!! Super super comfy cute cosy environment, perfect perfect spot for a casual dinner after work or uni!! Lovely menu and the staff was super kind!! I would recommend to everyone!!

A great step on our first afternoon in Amsterdam. The pizza was delicious and just right for our jet lagged spirits. Try the pistachio gelato with all the olive oil drizzle. An unexpected but delicious combination!

Gluten-free restaurant
Loulou Pizzabar is a charming restaurant in Amsterdam that offers a casual dining experience with Italian-style small plates, delectable pizzas, refreshing drinks, and delightful desserts. What sets Loulou Pizzabar apart is its dedication to perfecting gluten-free pizza recipes with the help of their lab in Italy.
I had a really lovely time at this pizzeria! The atmosphere was super cozy and welcoming . I really appreciated the gluten-free options, which can be hard to find at most places. The gluten-free pizza itself had a nice flavor, though I have to say it was a bit dry and quite difficult to cut — the crust could have been softer. Still, I really enjoyed the overall experience and I’m grateful to have found it. Thank you I’ll definitely be back!
Anastasia — Google review
We had an amazing dinner at this pizza place! The four of us each ordered a different pizza, which was so delicious that we ended up sharing everything just to make sure we didn’t miss a single flavour. Every bite was packed with incredible taste – fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and unique combinations. A true pizza experience we’ll remember!
Jasmina — Google review
So I heard this place from a lot of people and I went without making any reservations. I thought, I think it was on a Saturday. There was like a 10-minute wait, I would say, but that was like an unnecessary wait, I think. So you just go and queue and then whenever they notice you, they give you a table. Them noticing you is the hard part 🤓 Anyways, the service is really nice, they're proper Italians, like the kitchen staff speaks Italian to each other, and the pizza was so, so good. I had the one that got the award, I forget what it was called, it's with the really crispy aubergines. From a sensory perspective, it was really, really nice, because the aubergine cut gives a super nice crunch to the pizza and also a really nice flavor. I would definitely go again. Also nice location, outdoor seating has a cute view and you can also order to go.
Bertuğ B — Google review
We booked online as we saw in reviews it was busy and we were right to do so. They were very busy and had lots of take away pizzas too. We had a gluten free pizza (buratta) and a regular (salami). Both thought they were very tasty, very thin crust. The gluten free is suitable for coeliacs as it is cooked in a separate oven and prepared in a separate area (staff confirmed this). Overall a nice pizza and ok service! Would like some other gluten free dessert options other than panacotta.
Stephanie D — Google review
I’d heard a lot about this place so we had to try it out whilst we were in Amsterdam. The restaurant is right by the canal so it was a lovely walk there and gorgeous views too. We were seated very quickly and drinks/food also arrived in good time. I ordered the melanzane alla parmigiana for a starter and the tartufo pizza (parma ham, rocket, truffle cream). Both were amazing! The waiters were knowledgeable about allergies and assured me that the gluten free pizzas were prepared in a separate area with gloves and separate boxes of toppings, and cooked in a separate oven! This was the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. The service here was great and the prices were some of the more reasonable prices we’ve seen in Amsterdam.
Nicola B — Google review
2 adults and two kids eating early dinner. It’s a popular place, so unless you show up when they open, I recommend table reservations. All pizzas were very delicious and well prepared. The gluten free pizza Margarita was “the best I’ve ever had” according to my son. (See the picture) Drinks were good, although in the higher end price wise.
Steffen M — Google review
One of THE Best napoletan pizza I ever had. Great texture, taste and choices of pizza. The place itself is very nice plus the friendly staff which is a big bonus. Would definitely try again

Really good Neapolitan pizza which is also available in gluten free version. As a wheelchair user I needed a little help to get to the interior of the restaurant but you can also sit outside. Recommend a reservation.

Pizza restaurant
nNea Pizza has become a beloved spot, especially during the pandemic when it adapted to offer frozen and to-go pizzas. Its Neapolitan pies have gained global attention and accolades, earning it recognition as one of the best Italian restaurants by Gambero Rosso and ranking #9 in 50 Top Pizza's guide. The pizzeria has put Amsterdam on the map for serving one of Europe's top 50 pizzas.
Everything was excellent. We ordered vegetarian appetizers and pizza, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and the way the flavors were combined. The tiramisu was also really delicate and delicious, and I was very happy that it wasn’t bitter.
Faeze H — Google review
Generally the foods here is good. I have a recommendation from my friend to try this restaurant as it’s one of the best Italian restaurants in the Netherlands. Rated 8/10 for the pizza because it was burnt 🙄 The spritz was nice indeed
Linh T — Google review
Unfortunately, the pizza wasn’t the best I’ve had — the flavor was quite plain, just an okay-ish pizza in my opinion. But of course, that might just come down to personal taste. The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening, which shows that a lot of people do enjoy their food. The prices are on the higher side — around €20 per pizza — though maybe that’s normal for Amsterdam. On the positive side, the service was excellent. The waiter was very attentive to my dietary requirements and allergies, and kindly offered to substitute one of the cheeses for me.
Miss V — Google review
Summary: Overpriced and overhyped, but interesting flavors and good-quality pizza. Worth a visit if you’re curious. Longer read: This place serves decent pizza, but the hype feels a bit inflated, likely boosted by clever marketing. The marketing team clearly did their job well, but it seems the interior designers didn’t get the same budget. The decor feels neglected, which is a shame for such pricey pizza place. To their credit, the chefs are doing a solid job. The pizza isn’t extraordinary, certainly not “top of Europe” quality as some reviews suggest. But it’s good, especially by Amsterdam standards. You’d find similar or even better pizza in many parts of southern Europe. We tried two: SuperMarinata (octopus) – creative and flavorful, though I’m personally not a fan of eating octopus for ethical reasons. Oro di Bufala – an interesting twist with yellow tomatoes, nicely executed and balanced in flavor. The dough was very thin, with a tasty crust that was slightly thicker than I prefer. Because of the ultra-thin base, both pizzas ended up a bit mushy in the center. A pity, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, despite the inflated hype and high prices, it’s a good-quality pizza spot worth checking out at least once.
Olha B — Google review
The pizza was good, but a little bit too hyped up in my opinion. The ingredients and flavours felt right but the dough could’ve been a little bit more crunchy. What sets me off is the prices, I think I’ve had better for less, even in Amsterdam. Still an amazing place and must try!
Matias P — Google review
Award winning Pizzeria is one of the top 50 Pizza places in the world. No doubt it was a good experience and pizzas and the sides very delicious. The restaurant is booked 2/3 months in advance well is it worth the wait depends on the individual. Location well connect by tram. Strongly advise to make the book well in advance. The desert Tiramisu was excellent and definitely not heavy keep some place for it.
VISWANATH M — Google review
Super fun and unique pizza spot they serve all the pizzas with scissors! You can sit at the bar and watch them make the pizzas, and the menu’s packed with tons of really good and creative options
Tyler — Google review
Not really my thing I was excited to try this place after seeing it ranked in the world’s top 50 and booked a table two months in advance. Sadly, it didn’t live up to the hype for me. I went for the Super Marinara right, but after a couple bites, I was pretty disappointed. The crust was soft (I prefer something more crispy), and the pizza was super salty. There was a lot of tomato sauce, and it didn’t feel like it blended well with the base — more like it was added after baking. The other pizza we ordered wasn’t as salty, so it was a bit better. I also cut off the burnt edges and didn’t eat those. The starter was Ok. The 4.6 rating on Google shows a lot of people love this place, so maybe it’s just not my style of pizza. If there’s no long wait, it might still be worth a try, but I’d say don’t go in with super high expectations.

Renato's Pizzeria in De Pijp offers a relaxed venue with a street terrace, serving classic Italian antipasti and pizzas, including vegan options. The pizzeria is known for its ultra-satisfying pizza squares and is located in one of Amsterdam's sunniest spots near the historic Blauwe Theehuis terrace. Renato's imports ingredients directly from Italy and prepares fresh dough daily in their production kitchen.
We've found our new favorite Italian spot in Amsterdam, Renato! 🇮🇹 The cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and top-notch service make it a must-visit. Our top picks? The famous antipasti board, perfect for sharing, and their mouthwatering 4-cheese pizza, both absolutely delicious! 🤤 This place is usually packed, so be sure to book your table in advance. We love everything about Renato: the vibes, the food, and especially the service. A huge thanks to Julia and Cleo for their amazing hospitality. You guys are the best! 💫 We’ll definitely be coming back soon! 👏

Sumara P — Google review
We had high expectations for this restaurant. The atmosphere was as good as it can be in in the Pijp. The pizza was also good, the waiter that was responsible for our table was also very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the experience in the very last minute completely killed the whole experience. One of the employees that apparently works at the kitchen went out of the restaurant, stands in the middle of the street and scratched his butt, in a point that we could see his underwear. That was a killer mood and therefore we are definitely never coming back.
Kamila S — Google review
Delightful experience😍 Renato’s is a vibe! From the music to the pizza. Service is outstanding, highly recommend.
Alejandra — Google review
Very bad service. We waited more than an hour for the pizzas. The table next to us got the pizzas we ordered because the waitress messed up the order. When I told her that those were our pizzas she insisted it is theirs. The couple next to us sat there only for a couple of minutes although we've been waiting for long and I was sure those were our pizzas because they were very specific not what most order ('Nduja and another one). I told the waitress to check and then she comes back after talking to her colleague who took our order and told us that yes those were our pizzas and not even an apology that she messed up. So we had to wait again for 15mins more. Not returning there simply because of the poor service. Not to mention that another waiter when he brought the water, he touched the glass which fell on the table (it was empty thankfully) and he didn't even say sorry and bring a new one.

Really yummy authentic pizza place with attentive & fast service. Price is reasonable. Make sure to make reservations. We enjoyed ourselves a lot here.

This restaurant offered a solid dining experience. The pizzas were definitely a highlight—well-cooked with a crispy crust and great flavor. The tiramisu was quite good as well, though not the best we’ve had. We decided to try panna cotta for the first time, but unfortunately, it wasn’t really my thing. On the bright side, the service was exceptional—friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, and we will be returning to try more pizzas.
Leila — Google review
Delicious sourdough pizza and the dessert was a great taste to finish off with. The garlic focaccia was well balanced with salt, garlic and nice puffy and chewy dough. The pizza dough had just the right chewiness and thickness (not too thick but enough to hold the topping) and what made it even better was the home made chilli oil. I would have liked a little more tomato base on my pizza (mushroom with ham) but it was still super tasty and i would def go back again. The tiramisu and panna cotta were sweet but not overly so. Would definitely recommend.
Valentina — Google review
I had an amazing experience at Fuoco Vivo! The tuna pizza was absolutely delicious!! full of flavor and perfectly baked. The atmosphere was great and relaxing, and the host was super friendly and welcoming. My food came very quickly, and everything tasted incredible. Highly recommended , I’ll definitely come back!

Best pizza in Amsterdam, I tried many places over the years but, as an Italian, this is absolutely the best you can find here! The sourdough is so tasty and easy to digest, even a simple Margherita becomes a special pizza! I tried the tiramisù and it was just like my grandma does, superb! Service also always smiling and great atmosphere! Well done guys!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ After living in the Netherlands more then 20 years, I can confidently say this is the best pizzeria in town. The cozy neighborhood spot features red and orange decor and a brick oven for wood-fired pizzas. Guests can savor traditional pizzas, pasta, antipasti, bruschetta, meat and fish dishes, as well as delectable desserts. The restaurant also boasts an extensive selection of Italian wines to complement the meal.
I went here with my boyfriend. We didnt book a table but we got lucky by getting a table next to the window. We both got a pizza and honestly the best gluten free pizza ive eaten. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. The atmosphere was so cozy with the dim lighting and candles.

Excellent food and service. Lots of clear and thoughtful gluten free options. Great pizza, pasta and Italian desserts

The coziest place! Dim light, not noisy, casual, no pressure vibe. Great food! Very tasty pastas and desserts! Wine recommendation was perfect and overall staff was very accommodating – they've offered us multiple ways to make some dishes vegan and adjust ingredients. Definitely coming back.

We had a fantastic dining experience at De Italian Restaurant. Their gluten-free pizza is truly exceptional – crispy, flavorful, and made with top-notch ingredients. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The warm neighborhood atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. Highly recommend!

Nice place. Really chill and comfortable. Menu was in some foreign language and wasn’t translated properally in English. Had real Italian food on the menu tho, but I felt like it was missing some classics, carbonara, lasagne ect. Food was good tho

Quite a disappointing experience. I decided to give this place another try since it’s often busy, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. We ordered the pasta, which was incredibly bland—almost as if the chef hadn’t tasted it. I had to request cheese and salt just to make it edible, only to find out later that I was charged €2.50 for them, without any prior notice. On top of that, they charged €1.50 for tap water. There wasn’t even a spoon provided for the pasta, which made eating it awkward. When I mentioned the issues to the staff, nothing was done—they simply shrugged it off. Overall, the food was flavorless, the service indifferent, and the charges unreasonable. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Very tasty and cozy place for the dinner, best pizza we tried in Netherlands!!! The atmosphere is just like in a small family restaurant in Italy💔 However, they have quite ordinary tasting desserts, so I would say you should focus on pizza when you come here

Incredible pizza! Fresh ingredients and light, crispy pizza crust. We got the Salsiccia and it was delicious. Only giving 4 stars on Atmosphere because the tables were pretty tight and I almost couldn’t get out of my seat from our table 😊 overall, wonderful food and great, friendly service

Very good food! Took 2 pizzas and they were very tasty!🍕 Make sure you check whether the pizza you choose has tomato sauce on it because some of the pizzas come without... the service was amazing! And prices are fair. Recommended!!

We passed by this place a few times before deciding to come for dinner and we were so glad we did. We were greeted by the most friendly staff and walked into a room that was much larger than we expected. The bruschette was INCREDIBLE as well as the Quattro formagi pizza. Highly reccomend using the olive oil on the table on top of any pizza you get. A nice slight bit of spice that totally elevated the meal. Would eat here a million times over. Forgot to take pictures of the meal before it was all gone but including the olive oil that you must have!

Not only is the food amazing but we had an amazing server. I think her name was Julia. But we had phenomenal service and not only were the pizzas amazing but specifically Julia’s attention towards us is what absolutely elevated our experience there I will definitely come back as soon as I can :)

Best pizza I've eaten in years. Not cheap, but fast service and friendly staff. Also the tiramisu was very tasty.
Nico L — Google review
Lovely pizza restaurant. Highly recommend for date night or a visit with friends. Visited on recommendation of a local friend. Atmosphere: Recommend booking as very busy and lively (Friday night). Tables inside and benches outside. Moderate seating but not lots so book to avoid disappointment. Quite a high noise level. Overall really good vibe. Food: Pizzas really tasty. We went for Salami, four seasons and Romana. Everyone really enjoyed the taste. Saucy and yummy. Only improvement would be to sell crust dips. We also started with a rosemary focaccia which whilst lovely resembled more of a pizza than focaccia (plenty to share between 3). Would recommend ordering this. Service: Very friendly. English menus available if needed.

Excellent pizza restaurant. They were super busy but still managed to squeeze us in. Food was really good as was the service. I’d recommend you book a table to avoid disappointment.

I really loved the restaurant, great food, great service and the atmosphere. The best part was food. Pizza we had was very freshly cooked and was absolute highlight. The appetizer with Buratta Capreze was very very delicious and soft. I entered with my reservation and from the beginning the staffs were really kind and welcoming. I liked our table and meal also the drinks(rose wine). I could feel the quality of food was great since I didn’t have any inconvenience on digestion afterwards, feeling so clean and fine. (Usually pizza of late time brings me some digestion issues time to time). I want to thank for all the great service and nice food also for an amazing dinner experience in SOTTO.
Eunjae J — Google review
We arrived very first and the staff was very attentive! They let us take our time to decide drinks, an appetizer, and then two pizzas and dessert. The food was authentic and delicious! And the tiramisu was just phenomenal!! Love this place. And it’s in a beautiful location. Definitely check it out!
Taylor Y — Google review
We used to come and enjoy their pizzas quite often but we have been avoiding it for a while as one of the guys working there (it seems like they’re the manager from what I’ve seen in other reviews) was incredibly rude. He seemed to have a problem with people ordering water and basically took the menu off my hands and told me he made the rules over there. Pizzas quality have also declined so there’s far better places in Amsterdam to enjoy a nice pizza. Sad as the place is really cute but not worth the terrible service.

In addition to pizza, they also serve classic Italian dishes like pasta and antipasti. The restaurant's great atmosphere and delicious traditional Italian toppings make it a local favorite.
Great place to have pizza. Lovely thin crusts, great toppings and friendly attentive service. We arrived during happy hour (pleasant surprise) and made good use of it by ordering delicious elderflower and Aperol spritz.

It's pretty good, wood fired pizza. They had gluten-free options as well. Three beers on draft. They had to keep the door open because of the smoke from the wood fired oven. If you get cold easily like my mom, wear a coat. The server was friendly and knowledgeable about what they served

Amazing pizza and amazing service - I was with the little one, and the manager noticed us standing and waiting, and took our order immediatly - they were also so nice to cut a slice of pizza for my kid so he can eat it in the bike. Don’t wait - go!
Blin Q — Google review
Utterly disappointed. This restaurant used to be my one of favourite pizza places in Amsterdam for a very long time. I came back yesterday and was barely considered by the staff. I understand that it was busy but no one cared about my friend and I for a very long time; all the people who arrived after us got the menu and got served way before us. On top of that, the vegetarian pizza isn’t as good as it used to be. There was barely any cheese 😭, I remember there was much more goat and mozzarella cheese before.
Marwan A — Google review
Taste is the food is so so, not bad but also not one to come back for unfortunatelly. I guess there has been a change in the ownership since I cannot see why the restaurant has a 4,6 star review. Staff is nice and friendly and like any other restaurant the place is understaffed making the waiting time for the food really long (30 min for a buratta and carpaccio) and somehow same time for the pizza. Desert was fast though. Food looked amazing, however the pizza dough wasnt it. Not fluffy but flat new york pizza like dough. Think they can do so much better.

The italian restaurant YamYam Trattoria Pizzeria is a must-go for pizza lovers. The thin and crispy dough with the delicious toppings including Italian ham, rocket, parmesan and truffle sauce make this a restaurant you won't want to miss. If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience, YamYam is definitely the place to go.
I’ve been coming to this pizzeria for years, and it’s been there around for at least 15 years, maybe longer. The interior is pretty simple but cozy, with real wooden oven. I especially love their signature ‘Yam-Yam’ pizza and the truffle cheese — they’re must-tries. The staff is friendly, and the service is consistently good. A simple but very charming place with delicious food. Highly recommend.

We loved the food here . We ordered the YAM YAM pizza and the eggplant Parmesan! Both amazing to say the least. The pizza crust is thin and crunchy, the tomato sauce is rich and just the right balance , and the cheese mixes perfectly with the other flavors . Not a big eggplant fan but their eggplant Parmesan made me want to devour it ! Will come again and highly recommend ! Well done team

A nice Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. They are very busy especially during dinner time, so booking beforehand is very recommended. Place is cute, not too big, and somewhat felt so warm and welcoming. Staffs were friendly and waiting time was relatively alright. We ordered Margeritha Pizza, Yam Yam special Pizza, Salsicce e Funghi Porcini, Ravioli Spinachi and Ravioli with cheese. Everything was really really nice, cooked to perfection. The star was the Salsicce, mind blowingly good and definitely something you should order when visiting this restaurant. Price was okay too for the portion and quality of the foods. Highly recommended!!

Great food. My partner and I went out for dinner. We are expats, in the moment, we did not reply in Dutch, we felt unwelcomed by the staff. Everytime, they came to our table, the only spoke to Dutch with us and we asked if possible to speak in English, which they said yes but we had the same issue every time we asked for anything. This riun a little bit the experience as the food is amazing. When we left, we said thanks and the answer we got is "ok, bye".
Miguel P — Google review
2.5 stars, right down the middle. Pizza is incredibly solid. Definitely some of the best I’ve had in the city. Tiramisu is a bit bland and forgettable. Service is the unfortunate reason for the lower rating - staff were very inattentive coupled with a few rude comments thrown behind our backs in Dutch about our lack of tipping during payment. Probably assumed our dining group were expats because we were conversing in English, but in reality were a mixed group of locals and long term residents with a good grasp of Dutch 🤷

Sugo offers a convenient solution for those who want to enjoy high-quality pizza on the go. Their specialty is pizza al taglio, which is a rectangular pizza served in small slices, perfect for snacking or as a main course. The pizzas are known for their incredibly crispy dough and fresh ingredients. Customers can mix and match flavors, with options like mushroom, Formagio (a cheese combination), chicken pesto, and caramelized onions with black olives.
The dough is really good, the toppings (depending on the pizza) can be great. The caramelized onions and walnuts is definitely a great choice. The small option (2 slices) is more than enough if you aren’t too hungry. 👍🏼

Had to keep waiting hour for getting order and pizza. Self-serviced drink and picked up pizza from downstairs. Pizza tastes fine, but the experience was negative.
Nick N — Google review
The pizza here is good but it is way too expensive. Me and my girlfriend came here just for a quick little snack. So we both ordered one slice and a coke. This cost us 20 euros which is a ridiculous price (see picture to see how big 2 slices put together are), although the pizza did definitely taste very good! I do have to say that both the atmosphere and service were a bit lacking, the place felt a little dead. Trying this place out was definitely worth it but I would only recommend people to check it out if they are not on a budget.

The pizza's were very delicious! They got a wide variety of flavors and they were very nice and wel mannered as well. The waiter explained the concept for us when we have taken our seats. We got two slices for each person and drinks. The latte was made at the table too! That looked really fancy and you can only pay with card. Would definitely come again for a quick bite!

We had Verace and Our Nerano. Our favorite was definitely Verace. As many mentioned in the reviews, the pizza dough is amazing. For dessert, our favorite was the tiramisu — it was delicious, although we found the cream a bit too much. The service was also impressively fast, especially compared to most places in Amsterdam, and the staff were very attentive. Highly recommended place!

If you're on the hunt for authentic Italian pizza in Amsterdam, look no further than Pizza Beppe. This cozy spot delivers a slice of Naples right in the city, making it a must-visit for pizza lovers. The star of the show here is, without a doubt, the pizza. True to the Neapolitan tradition, the dough is light, airy, and perfectly charred, with a delightful chewiness that screams authenticity. Each pizza is crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients that bring out bold and vibrant flavors. Whether it's the tangy San Marzano tomato sauce, creamy fior di latte mozzarella, or fragrant basil, every bite feels like a harmonious ode to Italian culinary excellence. The atmosphere at Pizza Beppe is warm and inviting. With its laid-back charm, the space feels like a perfect blend of a neighborhood pizzeria and a stylish, modern eatery. It's not overly polished, but that adds to its cozy appeal. It's the kind of place where you can relax, share a meal with friends or family, and forget the bustle of the city outside. Service here is friendly and approachable, though not overly formal. The staff are attentive and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. While it's clear they focus more on creating a hospitable environment than maintaining rigid professionalism, this casual approach fits well with the unpretentious vibe of the restaurant. Ultimately, Pizza Beppe offers fantastic value for money. The authenticity and quality of the pizza make it worth every euro, and the experience of enjoying such a traditional taste in the heart of Amsterdam is truly special. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this pizzeria should be on your radar. Authenticity, fresh ingredients, and cozy ambiance make Pizza Beppe a standout for Neapolitan pizza enthusiasts.

The food was very tasty and felt like an original spin with the pizza combinations. The wood burning stove they use for the pizza really tips the scale and makes this an exceptional pizza. They are thin crust pizza. One could be shared with one other person but probably only made for 2 or less people sharing it. Staff was friendly and accommodating for allergies when we asked.

Small pizza place. You order at the counter then pick up your food. They have some tables for dining indoors and outdoors. They do not have WiFi. Several of the cooks were eating food between preparing the food. I found it to be unhygienic.

Really nice concept store with loads of Italian goodies you can also buy to take home. Just a heads-up — they don’t serve alcohol by the glass, only bottled options. We had the Vegetariana pizza, which came out super quickly. The dough was fresh and really tasty. Restaurant FAAM is a hidden gem in De Baarsjes, Amsterdam, offering classic Italian dishes like wood-fired pizza and artisanal pasta. The trattoria has a cool atmosphere and offers nice wines, making it a favorite spot for many. While some find the pizzas to be the best in Amsterdam and praise the friendly staff, others feel that certain dishes are overpriced or could be improved. Despite this, it's highly recommended for its cozy ambiance and delicious Italian appetizers.
Came here on a sunny, extremely busy Friday night. These guys were so good, got us seated quickly, the pizza is fantastic from their wood fired oven. Outstanding service from people who care about great food services with hospitality! Empty place says it all. PS it’s my local and already on my second trip in 3 days.

Absolutely love Faam! The pizzas are delicious—authentic, just like being in Italy. The staff couldn’t be friendlier, and their service is top-notch. We had some trouble booking for our group of 15, but they quickly sorted it out and even set up two picnic tables for us, really great!! Highly recommend!
Elske H — Google review
A local friend of mine took me to Faam because, according to her, it's one of the best pizza places in the whole city, so my expectations were pretty high. Firstly, the service was absolutely phenomenal. Two waitresses took care of us during our visit, chatted with us in fluent English and made our experience at the restaurant better than I had expected. While the pizzas are on the pricier side, I'd say it's almost justified. The portions are big, like, the pizzas were massive, but I don't know if this is a Neapolitan pizza thing or not but the center of my pizza was very soggy, which gave it an undercooked kind of feeling that I didn't enjoy, even though it was probably perfectly cooked. Careful with the salciccia pizza because the spicy meat is definitely spicy 😂 My only complaint is that I was offered a wine, that I had tried before deciding on it, but the waitress did not mention that it's almost a 9€ glass of wine and the pour was definitely not worth the 9€ of chardonnay, of all wines. The bathroom had its charm, just like the restaurant itself, but the sink was incredibly tiny so the water went everywhere. I'd definitely recommend this place for good pizza but I'd be careful with the wines and I'd inquire for the price beforehand, if I were you.

Lovely atmosphere. €74 for two people (1 bottle of wine, 1 starter, 2 pizzas). Waitress albeit nice, was sloppy when pouring water and wine, consistently spilled drops on the table and onto myself 🥴 There was cork in our wine but we didn’t raise it bc we didn’t want to make a big deal. Melon with prosciutto was ok, nothing to rave about. Pizzas are plain with not much toppings. Fhungi and prosciutto pizza was ok, not much mushroom. Sausage pizza was too salty if eating the whole pizza. Loved being able to see the kitchen and the pizza oven. TLDR; great atmosphere for a date 🕯️ but average food.

Italian restaurant
Bar
Il Pecorino is a restaurant in Amsterdam which serves Italian food. It is located on the waterfront, and has paninis, pastas and calzones as its main dishes. The restaurant is known for its cola, tea and mozzarella.
What a find! The attention to detail in the decor carries over to the food. The family that created il Pecorino has many talents. From the yummy bread and quality olive oil to the fresh, homemade Italian food created from fresh ingredients, the daily specials and regular menu are sure to delight your senses! I had a truffle ravioli with walnuts and was perfectly satisfied with the richness and depth in flavors. Not too satisfied to order dessert, though :) The prices were a bit higher than I anticipated. However, you get what you pay for at this restaurant. It's definitely a step up from the quickie place I expected to find in this area of Amsterdam. If you enjoy interior design and decor, you're definitely in for a treat. The vintage vibe created here emulates a warm home of the 60s and is inviting, intriguing, and so much fun! I'll bet you recognize some of the decor pieces from your childhood!

The new menu is simply awful. They don't serve pizza anymore and the pastas are tasteless, expensive and the portions are super small. We ordered the salmon pistachio pasta and we could barely see any salmon in it, and the pasta and its paste was super dry. We had to go grab fast food after our dinner since we were still so hungry. As long as this menu is around, we won't go there again.
P M — Google review
The restaurant has a warm and comfortable atmosphere, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant dining experience. The roasted pork was a standout — incredibly juicy with perfectly crispy skin. It was quite satisfying. However, the seafood dish was a bit underwhelming. It lacked flavor on its own and relied heavily on a splash of lemon juice to add any taste. I asked if they had ketchup or a cream-based sauce to enhance the dish, but surprisingly, they didn’t offer either. It’s a bit odd for a restaurant not to have basic condiments like ketchup.

I recently had dinner at Il Pecorino and my experience was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. We began with a burrata served over sautéed spinaches, roasted cherry tomatoes and a slice of toasted bread. The presentation was inviting and the flavors even more so: the burrata was luxuriously creamy, pairing beautifully with the delicate bitterness of the greens and the sweetness of the tomatoes. The crunchy toast added a final touch of texture, making it a perfectly balanced starter. For the first course, I chose a classic gricia. The pasta was cooked to perfection, enveloped in a creamy, silky sauce made from cheese and a hint of black pepper. The guanciale was crisp on the outside yet meltingly tender inside, adding richness and depth to every bite. The orecchiette with cherry tomatoes and leafy greens was another highlight of the evening. The dish was vibrant both in appearance and flavor, with the pasta carrying just the right bite. The tomatoes burst with sweetness, while the greens added a pleasant freshness. Service was attentive and friendly. A special mention must go to Tanya and Andreas, the owners, whose warmth and genuine kindness made the evening truly memorable. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel like welcomed guests rather than just customers. Overall Il Pecorino exceeded expectations with its authentic cuisine and heartfelt atmosphere. We already know we’ll be back here in 2027 😜

Well, I align with all the other reviews thinking deleting one of the best pizzas in town is a bad idea. Our experience wasn't the same as always and we decided to skip Il Pecorino in the future. We've been clients from before the renovation, we've been clients during the Wilhelmina period and regular in the new restaurant. Thanks for all these years. Best, Daniel.

il Pecorino is an Italian restaurant in the nord (north) section of the city, a quick ferry ride to Buiksloterweg station from Central Station. The appetizer, the bruschetta, was average and lacked any real Italian flavors. The house wine was similarly less than average. The pizza was descent but again, nothing special. If you want an average meal in a food factory, I would go here. It wasn't terrible, it just wasn't very memorable and reminded me more of a place to 'just eat something' rather than a restaurant that provides anything memorable. The service was fantastic though. I will be rating this restaurant with 3 stars. It's a 3 minus, actually, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt!

Cozy, great ambiance and friendly personnel. The menu has a large variety of dishes to choose from and the pizza’s are very tasty. I modified my pizza by replacing one ingredient with another and was happy to see they were not cheap with toppings.

Euro Pizza Restaurant, located in Amsterdam North, offers a unique dining experience with its delicious sourdough pizzas made from high-quality and locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's hip environment and spacious terrace provide a perfect setting to enjoy their traditionally made dough topped with inventive combinations that change regularly. With friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere, Euro Pizza is a great spot for both casual dinners and nights out with friends.
Discovered this spot through a recommendation, and it turned out to be a real gem in Amsterdam Noord. Housed in what looks like a revamped garage, the vibe is funky and laid-back. This place is all about sharing. Yes, they serve pizza, but that’s just one part of the menu. Think creative small plates built around seasonal ingredients and unexpected flavor combos. We tried the daikon cake, asparagus with a hazelnut-miso-style sauce, a fresh fish tartare, and a five-cheese pizza topped with drizzled honey and some funky greens (wish I could remember exactly what they were!). Every dish was bold, balanced, and full of surprises. Also a nice selection of natural wines.

Lovely evening with friends on the terrace. Surprising menu, beautiful starters and ‘unusual’ sourdough pizza’s. We shared all dishes. Natural wines, we had a fantastic champagne ❤️ Staff very friendly and know their way to advise about the menu and wines. Grazie!!

Bit of a confusing experience. We were told we could have the menu for 3 people and that would’ve been 45 euros a piece. In the end the receipt showed 2 menus plus a couple of dishes. Adding to more than 45 a person. Eventually this was solved, but I feel the servers weren’t communicating with each other. Made for a bit of an awkward moment. The food however was really good. Pizzas were tasty, desserts were amazing, bread was tasty. The small bites were really good. It’s such a good place, but service need to get a little prep before the evening.
Alex S — Google review
First thing first, this is by far not a typical Italian pizzeria. They do offer a selection of elaborate starters and pizza with their own twist. Been there twice and every seafood I tried was phenomenal. Had the squid dish yesterday, it was incredible. We shared more starters and had space only for the bolognese pizza, which was also delicious but we certainly wanted to taste some more. Good reason to visit again. As a bonus, nice wine selection. Attentive but unitrusive service. Certainly recommended.

Worth every euro Came in early on a Saturday, and the staff was already in a great mood—lots of smiles, making us smile too. The smiles lasted all night. Before pizza, we had some snacks. Buffalo mushrooms: thanks for proving there’s no need for chicken! You can choose from 3–4 types of pizza. Good—I don’t like choosing anyway. If only I could try them all. Pizza without strict Italian rules can be awesome, and these people really make the most of it. Was it the best pizza ever? Not tonight—I’d like the crust just a tad crunchier. But now I’m just being snobbish. Around 20:30, toward the end of our dinner, the place was packed. Still, the acoustics were pretty good, especially for an “industrial” space like this. And still, smiles on the faces of the staff. Thanks for the wonderful night. As always, everyone gets five stars.

We had a reservation for 20h30, we arrived on time and it took 45 minutes for them to arrange/clean our table outside. The food is really nice besides all the chaos and waiting time to get a table even with a reservation in place.

I was surprisingly impressed by the creativity and taste of the food , it was so refreshing and delicious! Interesting environment as it’s like a big canteen, also the service was slow even if it was busy and there were many staff working but no one was really paying attention enough , it took quite a while to order , not happy with the service but I’d still go back for the food! It’s really worthy to try !

We came in having little time to dine - 45 minutes until we had to go. We asked if it was possible to eat within that timeframe. It was. We got our drinks almost instantly after ordering and the pizzas were also surprisingly fast to arrive. Not only that, but the pizzas were the best we ever had. Perfect balance between the dough and the toppings. Everything super fresh. We'll be back with more time to spend at this lovely restaurant.

We often walk by this little neighborhood restaurant, this time we decided to go in. We were not disappointed. Service is correct and friendly, staff pays notice, and understands your needs. Da Portare Via is a charming little pizzeria that has garnered attention for its commitment to simple, high-quality ingredients and traditional wood-oven cooking. While it once enjoyed a stellar reputation, some recent visitors have noted a decline in quality, particularly with their pizzas. The cozy space features just a few seats by the window, making it more suited for takeout than dining in.
There is no shortage of delicious vegan food in Amsterdam. However, VIA is the BEST place in the entire city. When I came to Amsterdam five years ago, I loved this place. I returned this week and found it again on a walk near the Anne Frank Haus. I ordered one of their white pizzas and, oh lord, I died and went to heaven. If you’re in the area, GO HERE!

Margherita pizza... with literally two leafs of basil. The veggie pizza was pretty tasty, but doesn't make up for the blatant margherita mishap.
April R — Google review
The pizza was fantastic; the ingredients seem to be high-quality, everything tasted quite good, and the portion size was perfect to leave me sated but not sluggish (I had one normal pizza, which is four slices). No complaints about the staff either. The only drawback is that the space is pretty cramped, with little room to sit while waiting or eating, and the place really fills up quickly. I'd therefore recommend this place for takeout or deliver instead of dine-in.

This is one of several wood fired pizzerias by the same name and owner. The place is tiny. There is a small counter along the window facing the street with four seats....thats the entire capacity of the place. You step in, order your pizza at the counter. There is a small selection of excellent and inexpensive Italian wines by the bottle on a nearby shelf. Your pizza is made to order and served in a cardboard box. They offer three desserts and all are delicious. There are seats and tables outside on the sidewalk and across the street along the canal in good weather. The two folks working behind the counter are multi lingual, chatty, friendly. Pizzas take only a few minutes to bake, so wait time is minimal once you get your order in. This is a very popular place! On nice days you may have to wait to get in the door to order, but you won't be sorry you came here.
Howard S — Google review
Super place to get a pizza. There are no tables inside, only the oven and cash machine. Pizza is made just in front of your eyes, which also means you might need to wait ~20 minutes. You can get a number and walk around, bring the number back to get your order. You'll have to take your pizza away and probably eat with a view on channels, because you won't be able to walk far with this pizza, it's just too good. Honestly, it could be the best pizza in Amsterdam (of course if you also like thin dough). Especially pizza with truffles, it's just great!
Alex K — Google review

Nestled in the vibrant west side of Amsterdam, Italian District is a pizza lover's paradise that promises an authentic taste of Italy right in the heart of the city. This charming eatery boasts pizzas crafted in a traditional handmade brick oven, ensuring each bite is bursting with flavor. The dough, sauces, and toppings are all made fresh daily and sourced directly from Naples, making for an experience that's as close to Italy as you can get without leaving Amsterdam.
I've been living in the Netherlands for almost 35 years now and have tried pizza at many so-called Italian pizza places. But this one is by far the best I've had in all that time. It's truly comparable to a high-quality pizza place in Italy. Even though I've tried other pizza places in this neighborhood, I'd rather pay a little more and enjoy quality pizza than just eating dough. The pizza I ordered was a margherita. The fresh dough and ingredients made it a delicious experience. Thanks to the friendly staff for making this an enjoyable visit. I'm definitely putting this place in my top 10 restaurants in the Netherlands!

Walked in late and asked if they were open. They welcomed me. I ordered a Margherita without even looking at the menu because I already saw the pizza. It arrived steaming hot. I checked the crust and the bottom. Everything was great. It’s a classic Neapolitan-style pizza, not too big by the crust like contemporary styles, and not too big by diameter like a ruota di carro. Well fermented nice pizza!! Also seeing local drink estathe peach made me so happy went back home with 2 extra drink on my bag Note ; the only difference with Classic napolitan style pizza it was little bit more crunchy then 500celcius soaking wet napolitana which is very common and prefered now a days so nothing to complain just worth to try !

Our favourite pizza place in West-Amsterdam! We regularly order vegetarian pizza and sometimes Focaccia here and it's excellent every single time. Fresh toppings, distributed well across the surface, nice crust. Special shout out to our delivery person, who's always lovely and fast ❤️ (In the time I wrote this review, my partner already ate 2 thirds of his pizza because it's so delicious^^)

Please do not believe to the bad reviews, really! Pizza was amazing, super tasty and the tomate on it was incredibly juicy, the tiramisu also was really nice!! And the guy was very friendly! As an Italian, I felt like home 🏠 We ordered two pizzas and 1 tiramisu some week ago and I have nothing to complain. Stop by and order your pizza to take it home! Will be worth it :)

I should have read reviews first. Food arrived 15 minutes late, outside the generous deliver window given to them, 30 minutes from start of that delivery window. The pizza wasn't cut, for a delivery. The crust is substantially too thick of a ratio to the rest of dough and pizza; it's hard to give a good judge on a cold pizza so can't say whether good or bad as reheated won't taste same. Nutella dessert pizza tasted good minus the old Bananas and the way too big crust. And idk what this joke of a tiramasu they gave me but it basically is a brownie with baked marshmallows is nothing like a REAL tiramasu and a far cry from what they advertise, doesnt even have chocolate flakes on it. Naturally I called to complain explained the late delivery, the cold pizza, the gross old bananas and this joke of a tiramasu and all the guy said is what you want me to do about it. Is not good service.
Packerpf — Google review
Nice pizza. It’s definitely delicious but not authentic) the taste of the pizza is amazing. Huge amount of cheese and toppings. The dough is thin under the topping but the crust is a bit too thick on my opinion. P.S. taking out two stars due to lack of customer service. Have ordered here multiple times because of pizza. But the delivery is awful. Many times pizza delivered crumbled, all toppings spread all over the bag, different drinks delivered comparing to the description. And… no answer. No answer, feedback, apologies or reach out from the restaurant. Couple of times forgot some items of the order. Never reached out back. Even to the loyal customer.

Chose this place from the Google reviews. It delivered on every level. Excellent pizza , cooked to the highest standard . They only serve pizza and Focaccia, which suited us just fine! Really good pizza and nice covered outdoor seating area. The A’Mort Soj pizza was light (in the best way possible, like was not greasy nor did I feel heavy after eating it) and tasty. One of the best pizzas I had in Amsterdam! After having heard a lot of good things about Dope, I’ve wanted to try it myself. Finally I got the chance to experience it myself, and they did not disappoint. The place is packed and for good reason. The dough is amazing, as is the red sauce. The toppings are fresh and you can actually taste the high quality of the ingredients with every bite. Watching the chefs prepare pizza after pizza at a very high pace is impressive and they seem to enjoy it. The place is not very big but has a good vibe with nice music. The staff do their best which is a challenge due to the high volume of people dining there. Prices are what you’d expect in Amsterdam (read: not cheap) but at least you can taste the quality. I’ll be going back for sure!

I've been living in Amsterdam for 7 years, and this is by far the best pizza we had in the city. Even compared to the pizzas I had in Naples and other places in Italy, it was absolutely amazing! Thick dough on the edges and a good amount of high-quality mozzarella. We visited on a Sunday, a few minutes after opening. There were many seats available, and no reservation was needed. The staff was very friendly. Italian music was playing and was later changed to some 90s rock bangers, which we enjoyed. At one point, though, the music was a bit too loud, but it could be us getting older 🙈 Two things that could be improved: 1. The ability to add ingredients. In other places, we like to order a burrata on the side, and that was not an option here. 2. Could be nice to have some Garlic oil. Other than that everything was perfect and we will most definitely be back!

Sotto Pizza has two locations and may not seem high-quality at first glance, but its pizza recipe is from Naples, the holy grail of pizzas. The owners learned the craft there, resulting in top-notch pizzas. The sauce is made with San Marzano tomatoes and Buffalo mozzarella, making it a perfect spot for a romantic pizza date. Despite some minor issues with the tomato sauce being too much for some customers, the overall experience was delightful.
Great food and great service! We had an antipasti platter and a pizza with prosciutto which were both very generous in ingredients. Pizza dough is excellent, thin, soft, fluffy and well seasoned! English speaking staff is very kind and very flexible. Willing to make me a sgroppino (that was not in the menu or a custom dessert for a child). We had a lovely experience.

The pizza was fantastic - perfectly cooked in the Neapolitano style. The crust was slightly charred, a bit crunchy, yet also chewy. The cheese melted perfectly, and the sauce and other toppings were in the right proportion. My favorite pizza in Amsterdam.

On a journey to find the best pizza in Amsterdam, the path led me here. Came here at 5:30 pm on a Friday, made a reservation just in case but did not need it as there were only 2 other tables but you can tell it gets busy after. We ordered the Margherita, Margherita Extra and the Quattro Stagioni (Champignons, prosciutto cotto, salame, basilicum, Parmigiano Reggiano, Taggiasche olijven). The Margherita was solid but not the best in Amsterdam. As for the employees, very nice, the vibe was chill and the beer was great! Nice place to visit but the journey continues!

Refuse to give less than 4 starts because the pizza is genuinely great so I say this with love; but these people couldn't manage to get a hot or even warm pizza to your door even it was launched straight to your doorstep by rocket. No idea why or how but I consistently get cold, or at best luke warm pizzas delivered even with priority deliveries. Give your pies a love tap in a hot oven before boxing please, I beg of you.

It was the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. It arrived cold, burnt, and with all the toppings thrown on poorly. The dough tasted like chewing gum. If you're going to accept orders after 10 PM, you should at least ensure good product quality because I just threw 50€ in the trash."

Bella Storia is a cozy Italian restaurant in Amsterdam that serves up some of the best pizza I've ever had. The hosts are also great people and make you feel like you're friends visiting them at home. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Italy and the food is fantastic - definitely worth a visit!
From a real italian, I ensure this is a true italian restaurant! The food was amazing, we had one tagliere and parmigiana to share OMG amazing, I remember my grandma's home with this flavour! And the pasta carbonara was amazing as I had in Rome, the pizza (my fav was the truffle pizza) is full of taste with a very fluffy dough and fresh italian ingredients. I took also some pasta with ragù and limoncello from my friend and was delicious!!! Pistachio cheesecake is a must try! The service was very nice and friendly with our group, the food was served quickly (in Amsterdam the standard service is very slow instead). Also the music was nice and I am planning again to go there next week!!! I suggest to made a reservation, could be fully booked especially during weekends.

A real Italian pizza 🇮🇹 - Prices are on average - Staff was kind and fun, Giulia the waitress was very fun and pleasant to talk to - Atmosphere inside is rustic but in a good way, mimicking the real concept of Italian pizzeria and not of a fancy restaurant - Located in a beautiful corner of the Westerpark neighbourhood! We reserved a table for the early evening on a weekday, and were quickly seated. Very attentive staff, and incredibly quick service - we had our drinks within 5 minutes and our main meal within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The fresh tomato base for our pizza was delicious, and the creamy sauce for our carbonara was delightful. However, the pasta was al dente which is against my personal preference, so I recommend to ask the waiter if you prefer your pasta a little bit softer. The render from the guanciale may have been essential in flavouring the carbonara sauce, thankfully the rest of the flavours overshadowed actual guanciale strips which were closer to charred than crispy in both taste and texture. Nonetheless, the dishes were enjoyable and filling. The pistachio cheesecake was incredible with a perfect balance of flavours that didn't overwhelm each other, and the tiramisu, once you get through the thicker dusting of cacao powder overlaying the fluffy and delicate cream, was lovely. Overall, a very good experience.

OMG the best pasta and pizza in Amsterdam!!!! Finally an authentic delicious Italian restaurant, the only one where I feel right at home! We tried the pizza and was sooo perfect, the carbonara and the pasta with pistachio and guanciale were absolutely gorgeous! The vitello tonnato and tagliere were so yummy and finally…. The tiramisu and pistachio cheesecake are really must try! Just felt like in paradise! Can’t wait to come back soon!

Had a surprising experience in Bella Storia. Most of the Italian places in Amsterdam are expensive and not italian at all, its just instagram places. This one is legit, the pizzas are really good one of the best i tried in Amsterdam, the pasta fresh and the service is very nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend this one if you want a taste of real italian food. I also recommend bolognesa it looks and tastes like nonna used to do!

Traditional Italian style restaurant in a cozy chill part of Amsterdam West. I had their PISTACCHIO E GUANCIALE pasta. Had a glass of wine and a beer, made my bill 33,5 euro. Service was sweet and very fast. Definitely would recommend this place!

Margherita Tutta La Vita has quickly become a well-known spot in Diemen-Zuid, thanks to its cheerful owner Stefano and his delicious pizzas baked in a hot air oven. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating with funky decor that adds to the overall experience. Guests can enjoy watching their pizzas being made in an authentic Italian oven right from their table. The menu features a variety of pizzas and typical Italian dishes, all served at great price points and generous portions.
Great discovery of authentic Italian pizza that reminds me of our citytrips to Italy. Very reasonable prices, good service and time till served. Can recommend going here for sure. We had a starter, main, dessert and drinks for €70

So many options for pizza! 🤩 😍 Heaven!! Loved the pizza. 🍕 true taste of Italy 😁 — the crust is perfectly blistered and airy with just the right chew. A thin layer of tomato sauce made it a bright, tangy base, while creamy mozzarella melts into golden pockets of richness. freshly basil and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil finish it off, making each bite simple, balanced, and deeply satisfying. It’s the kind of pizza that reminds you why classics endure. we forgot to ask for an English menu… not sure if they had any. 😂 so used the TripGenie ai. It was surprisingly accurate at translating and describing all the items. 👍

Definitely legit pizza! It’s very cheap compared to Amsterdam prices, but it’s a bit further from the center. The vibe is very nice, almost everyone working there is Italian and they’re friendly. I’d definitely recommend this place if you live in OURDomain or OURCampus or in general around ZuidOost, as it’s a great pizzeria at very low prices.

We ordered take away (one small and one normal and one tiramisu). Both two pizzas and tiramisu were delicious. Normal size is a bit big. So you can try small one as well.

We enjoyed our visit. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly and attentive. However, I found the interior was not cozy. It had more of a diner feel and lacked charm. The atmosphere was good, perhaps due to the nice weather, as the terrace was full. The food was very tasty. As a finishing touch, we received a complimentary limoncello. That was very thoughtful and delicious. 🤤 We will definitely come back!

Worst place ever. Ordered a pizza for take away. Ask for truffle sauce on the side and ham on my pizza. When I came to get the pizza. I asked again is it on it. The waitress yes. That it’s not on my pizza is one thing but that you straight lie in my face is disgusting paid 43 euros for 2 pizza to get exactly nothing

My favorite place I have eaten in Amsterdam. It's a warm cozy restaurant with incredible staff. You can smell the food coming from the kitchen in the restaurant and it makes your mouth water. Everything they brought out was delicious and the drinks were amazing too. I recommend the classic bruschetta and for pasta polpettine al sugo. And the tiramisu was amazing.

We had the best time here this evening whilst on our trip in Amsterdam. The staff are so lovely and made our visit really special. They checked up on us and made sure that we were happy with our drinks and meal and the food was delicious and the best meal that we have had in Amsterdam during our stay! We were even able to change our reservation to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine whilst we ate. 10/10 must place to eat whilst you’re here. Thank you for having us !!

Located in a residential neighbourhood in Amsterdam Oost. Went here for dinner with a friend and we got the Di Eddy pizza (with nduja) and Ragu penne. They both tasted really good and portion sizes are great for the value. The indoor place is quite small so I’d recommend reserving in advance.

We had a cute and cozy dinner at Eddy Spaghetti. We both ordered an espresso martini and a large portion of the pumpkin filled ravioli with a butter sage sauce. We really enjoyed the cocktail and the ravioli was also tasty just a little bit more on the sweet side.

We had my friends birthday dinner here ! I ordered the Tartufo Spaghetti (spaghetti with truffle sauce, parmesan cheese and rucola). It was a pretty basic and safe choice - however i felt that the pasta was a little better overcooked. I also ordered the limoncello spritz which was pretty disappointing since I could not feel the ‘spritz’ in the cocktail! The servers were pretty nice and the ambiance was great! All in all - not a bad experience. I might visit again to try their spaghetti with mussels in prawn bisque which my friend ordered.

Nestled just behind the bustling Albert Cuypstraat, Mastino Pizza is a vibrant gem in Amsterdam's culinary landscape that redefines vegan dining. This charming pizzeria boasts a cozy atmosphere adorned with brick walls and quirky art, reminiscent of traditional Italian eateries. At Mastino, you'll discover an impressive array of gourmet plant-based pizzas crafted with homemade sourdough bases and baked to perfection in a wood-fired oven.
Hands down the best vegan pizza I’ve had. The cheese was incredibly and the dough outstanding! The tiramisu was also incredible. The staff was super friendly and nice. 100% recommended

The concept is fun & the quality of the Pizzas is good. However, I would really recommend you get plates and cutlery for costumers. And possibly keep the place cleaner and more organized; It would look better, as it is already so small… And one comment on the vegan mozzarella, maybe try another brand? It wasn’t the best taste. But Pizza dough and execution is fantastic, and staff is lovely!
Cecilia — Google review
One of best Italian pizza restaurants in the town, Mastino is by far among the best vegan restaurants around. The service is great, place is cozy, and it radiates passion and style like an Italian restaurant should! Every place has a story behind it, and Mastino's story has a great touch to it. If you are a vegan, do not skip this place, a must go!

I like this pizza, they have good assortment and fast cooking. I also like woman who works there, she is nice and ready to speak with guests. I cannot give 5 stars only because of 3 points: 1. I didn’t like to get hot water for tea in the glass - it’s inconvenient. 2. They don’t accept cash. It’s very sad because many tourists don’t have credit cards, but they want to visit your place. You should give them this opportunity and start to take cash. 3. They use disposable cardboard dishes. What you need to do to make this place better: 1) buy reusable dishes so that people who eat inside can use them. Your visitors will appreciate you more if you take care of the environment and do not use dishes, which, although decomposing, leads to an increase in the consumption of disposable tableware. In times of global warming, it is irresponsible to use disposable tableware. You don't have only take away, because there are tables inside, so there must be reusable dishes. 2) give clients opportunity to pay by cash. There are a lot of tourists who don’t have credit cards but want to visit your place, so you should start to take cash. 3). Buy reusable tea mugs. I believe this nice place can become better!

Nice pizza made quickly in a wood fired oven, by two Italian guys. One pizza was too salty (probably the ham) and the other one had too many toppings and was falling apart. But overall pretty good.

L'Osteria, located on the Amstel river, is a popular restaurant with a queue forming quickly during good weather. Boaters eagerly dock to place their orders and many can be seen in the nearby Park Somerlust with L'Osteria pizza boxes. The restaurant offers good Italian food at fair prices and boasts a superb location next to green spaces and water. Families are catered for with ample space, a terrace with playground, and clean facilities accompanied by soft Italian music.
If you’re looking for truly authentic Italian food in Amsterdam, I can highly recommend. The dishes are fresh, full of flavor, and prepared with real attention to detail. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is friendly without being over the top. A perfect spot if you want to enjoy excellent Italian cuisine in a relaxed setting. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I liked the food and atmosphere. Staff were friendly but they gave me this impression that it was super chaotic for them. I had to actively call them every time, even when I wanted to order my first drink. I recommend making a reservation, maybe that was also why they weren't paying as much attention to me(I just walked in) There's also a clear segregation between people that had made a reservation and those who didn't. Other than that it was nice, the place is clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Most importantly, the food was great!
Jennifer P — Google review
Fantastic interior, good location nearby a small harbor. Fresh products (veggies, bread). Minor comment on the pizza dough quality. Great Service from Waiters/Waiteresses!
Fat ! — Google review
The pizza crust is very good. It's thin but not so soft that it immediately folds, and it has the right taste as well. The reason I've given 3 stars is because of the nduja salami which was, first of all, not spicy at all, and second not spread in a good way. Most parts were without any salami and some had a little. So it was quite bland, and that for an 18 euro pizza. The size seems big, but it's really thin and I could easily finish two, and I'm not a big eater. So I don't mind the price, but the quality should be on par. Then as for service, I told the waiter about this, but communication was difficult, because the waiter could only speak English, and not that well, but also when I asked for something to compensate the taste for, such as a pepper, and I explicitly said not spicy oil, it took a very long time and he still came with oil.

Great staff and service. Food is tapas style sharing portions. The risotto is some of the nicest I have tried and the pumpkin ravioli is lovely. All freshly made and just order piece by piece as you want.

This was a disappointing and unauthentic dining experience. There are countless restaurants in Amsterdam that could offer a much better meal. Paying 33 euros for two beers and a pizza, where the cheese was so poorly melted it resembled spaghetti, is simply unacceptable. While the food tasted somewhat fresh, it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall experience. The staff was friendly, but the experience felt out of place for Amsterdam. I won’t be coming back—there are far better options in the city.

Toni Loco Pizza is a new pizza joint that offers a variety of pizzas in different sizes and toppings. The restaurant is more focused on takeaways, but it also provides seating for those looking for a quick bite. The pizza maker at Toni Loco maintains high standards of hygiene and care, using fresh gloves with every food interaction and ensuring the cleanliness of the establishment.
Came for the high rating but that seems to have been carried over from a pizza joint that's no longer here. On a quiet weekday afternoon, we received a simple and tasty burger for a fair price. Not sure if it qualified as "smash". It honestly tasted and looked like a big Mac but from way better ingredients.
Cas L — Google review
Pizza is tasty and original for a high price point. Staff is not welcoming (he was more interested in smoking a joint outside). You really have to make an effort to place an order. Therefore I'd only order this online.
Noam — Google review
Okay-ish burger. They tag the name of The Butcher and that set the expectations higher than they can deliver. Tips for improvement: 1) when you come back from a cigarette break, wear gloves or at least wash your hands before you touch the lettuce and pickles. 2) It is called smash burger because you smash it or weight it down to have more surface area. The burger was more boiled than grilled. There was a weight right next to you, use it. 3) you got lids to put over the burger to melt the cheese. Use them! despite using American cheese, the cheese on the burger was still cold and solid. 4) give me a fresh bun, instead of an old crunchy one which you found on the grill. It was lying there before I ordered. As for the atmosphere, it feels more welcoming if the staff takes a break separately instead of both being out at the same time. There are better options available in the Pijp at this price point.
Koon C — Google review
Very disappointing burger experience. Even though it was prepared fresh right in front of me, the beef patty contained several small bits of gristle — a clear sign of low-quality meat. The bun was also far too dry, which made the whole thing unpleasant to eat. On the positive side, the lettuce was fresh and the sauces were nicely made, but overall the poor quality of the meat really overshadowed everything else. I came here because of the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, I can’t share the same enthusiasm.
Wololo B — Google review
The name of the place carries more weight than the actual taste of the burger. For the price tag on the burger, the meat was lacking taste, and the ingredients were scarce, they should have something more inside by default not as a payed add-on. There are better smash burgers in town in the same price range. Fries were normal, nothing special. The ordering screen is not user friendly at all. No waiting time tho. I prefer the main branch much more.
Mo A — Google review
Quite disappointed by this smashed version of their burgers, considering the Original Butcher burgers are some of the best in Amsterdam. And don’t get me wrong, I normally enjoy smashed burgers a lot. These burgers were way too greasy, had too much mayo and lost that flame grilled taste they do so nicely. Not terrible but disappointing. I recommend walking an extra 5 minutes and going to their location on the Albert Cuypstraat market.
Paul W — Google review
The hamburger was great! Although I've waited 30 minute for it. Great location (De Pijp), beautiful restaurant!
Ran A — Google review
Ordered by Uber for pick up. I guess no one does that in Amsterdam as I was mistaken as a delivery guy (in their defence it was raining and I was wearing my black rain jacket and I had a laptop backpack). Anyways, I arrived and I told them first thing Im here to pick up this order for “my name”, they told me I arrived too fast and the order is still being prepared (my app said it was ready for pickup). The guy was a little bit rude and unfriendly but the lady working there was super nice and friendly. After waiting for 5-8 minutes, they gave me an order in a paper bag that has been stapled. The bag looked bigger than I expected so I opened it so I can check and to reorganise it in my backpack. The guy started mildly arguing with me why I did that. They thought I was a delivery guy opening an order for someone else. In that moment after some back and forth we all realised I was in the wrong branch, and I had to go to the other branch down the road 500 meters away. They were dealing with only that sole order. I declared what name I was picking up from. And yet I almost walked away with someone else order because I looked like a delivery guy. The funny thing I also had the same lack of checks in the other branch and I could have picked any order. I guess no one checks in Amsterdam if you look like a delivery guy.

No Rules Heinekenplein is a new restaurant concept by top chef Jacob Jan Boerma, known for his three-star restaurant De Leest. Unlike his previous ventures, this accessible kitchen has no rules. Despite facing setbacks with its original opening date in March, the non-traditional pizzeria is now thriving. Visitors praise the delicious lunch options such as sandwiches, ceviche, and salads on the new menu. The establishment offers a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service.
Really good food and drinks. They have a bit of Italian theme with lots of pizza options, but also dishes like oysters and fish. The drinks were also nice.
Lidia — Google review
The ambiance is nice and the service was fine, but the prices are ridiculous for what you get! The "Jumbo Crispy Shrimp" starter is €14.50 for two literally TWO small rubbery shrimp, that's over €7 for one single shrimp, which is insane. This basically describes everything we ordered. Fine maybe for just a drink but not to eat.
B. S — Google review
Great delicious Roman style crust pizza, attentive service. A small suggestion: pls find a solution to serve the pizza pre sliced before serving to the table. Customers struggling to slice their pizza at their table is not the level of service that ‘No rules’ should be aiming for.
Kerim B — Google review
I was expecting something different, unique and also a better service. Was super crowded, even now with Corona, not a lot of measures or social distance. The pizza was not what we expected, the dough was plain, burned, not ok, they placed to much lime on my pizza, and i dint expect that. Service was dreadful, the staff was not prepared, they didn’t checked us from time to time, we had to make signs to have someone take our order. For the money we spend here, I don’t recommend it.. Cocktails ok. So, you can visit for drinks. Not food.
