Vegan restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Vegan Junk Food Bar in Amsterdam is a unique dining spot that offers a creative vegan menu, featuring indulgent options like burgers, freak fries, and more. The restaurant has a rebellious spirit and focuses on sustainability. It's known for its vibrant street-art-style decor and hip-hop and R&B soundtrack. The menu includes plant-based, meatless alternatives such as tapioca-starch seafood and loaded fries sprinkled with flower petals.
Amazing restaurant! Ive been there a year ago and I liked it so much! I am glad I managed to come back this year again! The restaurant is all vegan and offers plenty of vegan options! The burgers are absolutely delicious and they look so nice on pictures! I also really recommend the Vegan Chicken Wings, they are a bit spicy tho. The prices are a bit expensive but all in all, we had a really nice afternoon.
Zoe W — Google review
Fun but pricey! We enjoyed everything we had, but couldn't afford to go there very often. The kids loved the colourful dips, and appreciated how they matched the decor so well.

Every time we’re in Amsterdam, Vegan Junk Food Bar is a must-visit – we’ve been to the city eight times in the past four years, and each time we make sure to come here (often more than once!). The food is consistently incredible – honestly, it just keeps getting better. The flavours are bold, creative, and indulgent, but without leaving you feeling heavy or sluggish afterwards. It’s the perfect kind of vegan comfort food that tastes every bit as good (if not better) than the non-vegan versions. From the colourful loaded fries to the burgers and nachos, everything is presented beautifully and tastes amazing. You can really feel the energy and fun vibe that the brand is all about, and the team always makes the experience welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam – whether you’re vegan or not, this place will impress you. We’ll definitely be back again on our next trip!
Amy S — Google review
We came to Vegan Junk Food Bar for drinks before dinner and our server asked the kitchen to surprise us with a sampler of their Fly Wingz…..they were delicious!!! Great service, very hospitable environment, lots of seating options, and good vibes. Definitely would recommend, vegan or not!!
Lexi S — Google review
My only issue with this place is that I wanted to try everything, but my stomach will not cooperate. So many choices!! Love the colorful dishes! I also appreciate having a salad option! I had the Caesar salad and the rainbow freak fries. The salad was well dressed 🤵‍♀️ and cheesy. The fries were sauced up and the vegan chicken was 10/10. I would’ve loved to have gotten a half order of the rainbow fries and half order of bitterballen so maybe that could become a menu option!
Rachel — Google review
Last visited this spot 7-8 years ago and being back in Amsterdam I had to stop by again. The menu is extensive with lots of vegan options! I got the iconic rainbow loaded fries. Decent portion size for €16, and topped with vegan chicken and bacon and a creamy sauce. This was pretty good, not the most flavoursome option, and I think a burger might have been a better choice. Next time!
KDD — Google review
The vegan restaurant had some hits and misses. The nachos and burger were very delicious, but the mac & cheese balls were just average. Service was quick, but the host was a bit inattentive and got our order wrong twice. Overall, tasty food, but the service could use some improvement
Nasreen A — Google review
VJFB is toooooo fire 🔥 We had looked up the menu and decided we had to try it for ourselves . Lemme tell you something, We’re glad we did. We got the Flamboyant Shrimpz and OMG i wish I had a place like this back home. We also had the Notorious Burger and the Chikn burger. The atmosphere was dope, I appreciated the music as well as the aesthetic. Vegan or not, this place is sooo good.

Meatless District is a popular vegetarian restaurant in Amsterdam, inspired by New York City's Meatpacking District. It offers a 100% vegan menu with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options such as smashed avocado toast, fried banana sandwich, and pumpkin-filo dough pastries. The restaurant hosts regular events like Bloody Mary brunch and Meatless Friyay.
Wow! Food was amazing. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The restaurant had a nice vibe to it and was nice and clean. We ordered 6 portions with 1 side. This was a decent amount of food. All courses were fantastic. The mac and cheese was amazing and we also had the special, which was available. We had the Creme Bruleé for dessert. It was amazing. Overall, if you're vegan, 100% come here. The staff also knew how to make a mean Old Fashioned too!
Torkerz — Google review
We had a delicious fully vegan meal here for our last night in Amsterdam. The food is lovingly prepared and presented with beautiful flavours. We had a sharing menu for starters and mains - aubergine dip, watermelon sashimi and oyster mushrooms, followed by lions mane steak, mini tacos, smashed potatoes and macaroni cheese. We were so full we couldn’t manage dessert!
Zoë C — Google review
We didn't have a reservation, but were immediately seated at a table for two. We were told there would be a wait, but our first dishes arrived after only 10 minutes. We liked the concept of small, different dishes to share, and all six of the dishes we ordered were incredibly delicious. We especially wished we had a larger portion of the cauliflower mac and cheese! The staff were also very friendly and spoke excellent English. The selection of drinks was also extensive, and we enjoyed them. The price for individual dishes is a bit high, but reasonable for the good taste and creativity. We would go back in a heartbeat!
Sophie — Google review
The dishes are really thought through, well balanced and super flavorful. I'd suggest you approach this place with the idea to treat yourselves with a fine dining vegan🌱 experience. I'll definitely get back at some point soon 🤤😍
Demetrio F — Google review
Impressive great tasting food and a very nice presentation. A attentive server. A lot to choose from, at good prices. Among the selected dishes, the vegan smoked salmon "Tomato Lox" gave us mixed fealings, as it tasted correct but at the same time felt like something else then salmon pickled.
Kristian M — Google review
We had an amazing time at Meatless District ! The food is super tasty, the team was extremely nice, and we loved the atmosphere. Definitely will come back !
Hélène J — Google review
Food was simply amazing. Every dish is something special, tastes like nothing I had before and is so well finetuned and composed, that you leave the restaurant with a feeling of great satisfaction. Highly rexommended, vegan or not, whenever I will be in amsterdam, visiting this place is a must.
Jacob S — Google review
One of the most delicious dinners I, a meat eater, have ever had, fully vegan. The Cesar salad is a must, the tomato lox just amazing, artichoke simply delicious, all the ‘bacon’ pieces just out of this world. Great desserts as well, basically nothing to improve.

SOIL Vegan Café - WEST is a charming plant-based cafe with a relaxed atmosphere and a focus on locally sourced, plant-based dishes. The menu features a variety of bowls, salads, sandwiches, and seasonal specials like tonkotsu ramen and bulgogi cheese steak. The cafe offers delicious comfort food dishes and a great selection of vegan wines in cozy surroundings.
Great lunchtime restaurant, with interesting starters options (ribs were yum!) and reasonably priced. It’s a cute restaurant, but not for an occasion in our opinion. The burger was average but the Bali salad was divine. We would go again.
Diana S — Google review
I ordered the dragon noodles which was full of flavour and delicious! The staff are wonderful too. Loved the place but I felt it was slightly pricey - 19-ish Euros for one bowl of noodles. Food in Amsterdam is generally expensive but it felt a tad too steep even for Amsterdam standards. Lovely place otherwise.
Champaka A — Google review
Really lovely vegan place! We tried pulled 'pork' tacos as a starter, and for the main ben ben noodles and khao soi noodles. Everything was fantastic, nicely balanced flavours. Very satisfying meal, will definitely come back
Gabrysia D — Google review
Absolutely loved the food here. I ate way past full. Service was great and the atmosphere was also perfect. Very decent portion sizes. Would come again for sure! My partner and I ordered the vegan bitterballen starter, Kimchi fried rice, a burger and fries, apple pie & vegan snickers. We also had 2 glasses of rosé.

This vegan Café is amazing! The food was incredibly tasty and prepared with a lot of fresh ingredients. I highly recommend coming here to anyone. The people here can cook very well! If I would live in Amsterdam I would come here all the time but it will be a must travel for all my Amsterdam visits 😍
Natascha — Google review
I came here after running the Amsterdam marathon and it was the perfect replenishment. I got the Buddha bowl salad and the jackfruit tacos. The jackfruit tacos were on traditional corn tortillas about two bites each taco. Quite expensive for the quantity but taste and substance worth it. This salad was everything I wanted it to be, big portion, good textures with the tempeh and peanuts, and delicious flavors meddling together, perfect to replenish 3 hours and 59min of running.
Maggie K — Google review
While researching vegan lunch options, we stumbled on this exceptional cafe offering excellent vegan options. We enjoyed a Miso salad, cheezy burger and cheesycake. Each dish was amazingly tasty and exhibited great creativity in creating vegan options for some standard fare. Highly recommend a visit as you will not be disappointed!
B T — Google review
Food was tasty and fries excellent, though the burger wasn't quite up to the billing. We also tried the Buddha bowl, which was very good. Service could have been a bit better. The server seemed to be distracted and not too attentive even though we visited on a quiet afternoon.

Japanese restaurant
Men Impossible is a cozy Japanese restaurant located in Amsterdam, offering a unique dining experience with its focus on vegan ramen and traditional Japanese dishes. The restaurant gained popularity for its high-quality vegan ramen options, attracting both vegans and non-vegans alike. Guests can savor five varieties of Sauce Ramen, including black garlic, white garlic, hot chili, truffle, or a combination of chili and garlic for dipping noodles.
I’ve visited many restaurants, both abroad and in the Netherlands, and have traveled Japan quite extensively. I can say, without a doubt, that this was some of the best Japanese food I have ever tasted. The flavors here are top notch, the ingredients authentic, and everything is plant-based. The courses are nicely spaced out, allowing you to experience a large range of different tastes, textures and dishes. The quality is truly impeccable, giving you the feeling of fine dining. There is a subtlety and elegance to every plate, and the flavors come out like magic. I want to thank the chefs and host for the great night, I am certain to come again.

I don’t even know where to begin how to describe what an incredible experience and tastebud journey eating here was! This was my first time here so because it is a tasting menu every dish that was brought out was a sensory delight. The food was absolutely gorgeous in presentation as well as one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had. Highly highly recommend this one if you visit Amsterdam!
Jennifer S — Google review
Very nice multi-course Japanese inspired vegan meal. Some of the flavors were a bit muted, but the black garlic Amaze-men is worth the trip. Also recommend the Sake pairings. Nice selection that paired well with all the dishes. Small place so reservations definitely recommended.
Bill K — Google review
Oh my goshhhh this place was DELICIOUS! Such a gorgeous range of dishes, some of those flavours will be on my mind for several years, and the service / general vibes were top notch. Absolutely recommend! Felt like a luxury experience for a super reasonable price!
Katie P — Google review
Absolutely incredible. I can’t believe the food was vegan! We loved every single course, especially the mushroom takoyaki and black garlic ramen and spicy ramen! The saucy ramen was so creamy and incredible. The tofu ice cream was also incredible. Genuinely one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time — each bite was a hit, even if it was something we’d never dream of pairing together. An absolute must-visit in Amsterdam.
Paige D — Google review
Amazing vegan restaurant! Found this place on happy cow on my last full day in Amsterdam and was able to secure a super last minute reservation at the big shared table for 8pm. I was unsure how the table setting might affect my experience eating out alone, but fortunately the seat right in front of me was empty. There are very limited 2 person tables available, so be sure to reserve in advance if you are concerned about the seating arrangement. Overall I absolutely loved my dinner here. It felt very luxurious, with beautiful plating and creative dishes, but for a comparatively affordable price of 49€ for the 6 course menu. The only thing you choose is the ramen flavor ( I had the black garlic one) the rest is fixed. I especially enjoyed the sushi trio, the ponzu mushrooms, and the warm seasonal bites. Since I am not a fan of okra the soup wasn’t really my thing. I wish there would have been a ‘buffer’ dish between the warm bites and the ramen, as the fried tempura, croquette and takoyaki are already quite heavy, which made it difficult to enjoy the saucy and equally heavy ramen. Even a small bite of pickled veggies or just something to freshen the palate would have been great. Speaking of the ramen, I was surprised to see that all the ramen is saucy ramen rather than soupy, and while there is the option to upgrade to soupy ramen, this is only possible for the (in my opinion overpriced) amount of 4.50€. That option is also only available for the truffle flavor. Seeing as ramen served in broth are most common in Japan, and considering that such a heavy dish is number 5 in this course order, I hope that the restaurant might consider serving more broth ramen in the future. I ended up only having small bites of the noodles and instead eating all the leafy greens and bits of vegetables I could find to try and cleanse my palate and get rid of the heavy feeling. The portion was also quite big, but I will note that the kind waitress offered to give me a to go box which I had to decline because of my morning flight. The dessert was okay, it was good but I feel like they could be a bit more creative with it. I got the umeshuu (plum sake) for 10€ which I felt went well with my meal. The service was good, both servers were nice, attentive but not pushy. If you wish to have a bit of a slower paced meal I would inform them at the very start of the dinner because they are quite well paced and your next dish will appear in no time after you’ve finished the previous one. The chef was Japanese and after chatting to him in Japanese as I was about to leave I learned that he’s not all that comfortable in English yet, so don’t be surprised if he doesn’t do much of the serving/interacting with guests. Overall a very pleasant, luxurious experience for a fair price! If I’m ever in Amsterdam again I will definitely be back and bring a friend.
Stella T — Google review
we are vegan so 100% flat based really attracted us to Men Impossible I like the idea of having a set menu and the Japanese themed dishes The team and the restaurant takes a lot of pride in their dishes, and it shows in the taste and presentation of each dish I’ll definitely come back
Ken K — Google review
An all-vegan Japanese spot. The menu is set, so no tough choices—except for the ramen flavors, and honestly, the move is to get both. We had one with black burnt garlic and the other with red chili, and swapping between the two was a good one. It was well balanced, not overwhelming, just that deep, rich kick you want in a good bowl of ramen. Service was good, the space is tiny but well-organized, with a big community table in the middle. If you’re up for it, it’s a great place to have a casual chat with strangers while enjoying your food. Despite the price creeping up over the years (from around 30 to now 50), it still feels worth it for the quality and experience. Definitely recommend if you’re into well-executed, creative vegan food.

Bonboon is a charming and creative restaurant located in various parts of Amsterdam, offering beautiful water views and a warm atmosphere. The restaurant focuses on three to five-course menus featuring flavors from local produce. With an ever-evolving menu that changes every eight weeks, Bonboon provides a refined plant-based culinary experience driven by a passion for exceptional food and wine.
We enjoyed a fantastic vegan dinner here on Thursday. Everything about our experience was exceptional from the warm ambiance to the absolutely stellar dishes. Why this is not a Michelin star restaurant is a mystery as Bonboon easily tops a couple of the Michelin star restaurants we recently experienced. Highly recommend Bonboon when you are seeking an enjoyable, memorable and satisfying dining experience!
B T — Google review
Very elegant place and the atmosphere very chick. You can feel it the moment you walk in!We took the 5-course menu and we also offered an amuse bouche!!Everything was delicious with unique flavors.Couldn’t believe that it would be so tasteful!Highly recommended!!
Maria L — Google review
Fantastic restaurant. We last visited 4 years ago when Bonboon was in Amsterdam Oost, and had to rebook for this trip after our experience last time. The food is magical. How they manage to come up with ideas for the dishes is beyond me. Once a dish comes out it demands your attention and never disappoints. Food Alchemy.
Anthony B — Google review
For a vegan tasting menu in 2025, Bonboon fell far below the competition. While the service and atmosphere were "fine" albeit quite slow and unevenly paced, the flavors were mid at best and confused and bleh at worst. The chefs relied heavily on cream sauces when they were unnecessary and dishes often came out bland overall. The food was far from the elevated palate you expect with a tasting menu, and none of the four dishes or the amuse bouche left us wanting more. Rather, the textures clashed (perhaps no where more obviously than with a side by side combination of raw chickpeas and toasted chickpeas), and the lack of temperature control left us feeling... ready to leave half way through. Save your money for a restaurant in the city that actually earns its stars...

Bonboon the ultimate vegan fine dining experience! Where do I start!! By far the best vegan fine dining I have ever had! Nothing comes close! This place deserves multiple Michelin stars! Not only is the food a 10/10 but the restaurant is absolutely stunning. Old historical building, beautiful high ceilings, lots of space, perfect setting, lighting and ambience. We have dined in many Michelin star restaurants but the food, ambience and service here is by far the best! Juan our waiter was incredibly attentive, he clearly loved and took pride in his work. This is our second time at Bonboon. We plan to visit Amsterdam from London every 2 months just so we can try out their new menu! It's that good!!

The vegan dream. Worth its money. A dine fine vegan restaurant, attached to a hotel. Healthy food, for me a bit too less salty. It really tasted healthy. :) You will be served accompanying wine or, hold on, tea! I was very suspicious about the tea, because they were all green tees and i hardly can sleep if i drink it in the evening. But this time it worked. Reservation was needed. When half the room was empty, it slowly turned colder. Very nice room arrangement so you could communicate proper. Couch was not too uncomfortable. Lovely to watch the kitchen for preparation.
Theresia S — Google review
This place is just not good enough. Skip this place for now. The location is beautiful in the center of Amsterdam. The menu looked great but the service and food were just not good enough. We went for the five-course menu with wine pairings, including a promising Spanish Palomino. Starting with Champagne, we were disappointed by its lackluster bubbles and presentation in narrow flutes. The first course paired a Mosel Riesling with a fermented cauliflower croquette. While not terrible, it felt more like bar food than fine dining, lacking warmth and freshness. The second course featured an excellent Palomino from Barbadillo and a mushroom dish. Despite the impressive wine, the food again felt like an elaborate snack rather than a proper course. The main dish featured smoked cabbage with various accompaniments and a fruity French Mondeuse wine. Despite its Instagram-worthy presentation, the dish disappointed. The cabbage was overcharged, and the flavors were underwhelming, and not good. The pre-dessert was a chestnut flour crepe with pear and orange blossom jelly, smoked soy ricotta, and a Gewürztraminer. Unfortunately, both the dish and wine fell short. The wine lacked aroma and was served too warm, while the crepe tasted stale. The ricotta filling's odd sour-fruity combination was unappetizing, leading me to abandon the dish after just two bites—unusual for my typically adventurous palate. After a while, the waiter came over to check what was up. We told him our thoughts, and he apologized and offered to take it off the bill. But by then, we weren't feeling it anymore, so we just asked for the check. I guess I'll never know how that Spanish Moscatel would've tasted! Man, this place has got some serious potential! The spot is killer, and the vibe is on point. But let's be honest, they must step up their game in the kitchen. If they can pull that off, it could be a total hit. For now, though, I'd say skip it and check out somewhere else that's got their act together.

OMG what an amazing meal. The new menu at BonBoon is so delicious. We got the five course menu and each course was perfection, we had high expectations and it did not disappoint. The beauty of the restaurant adds to the joy of the food as well as the friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is attached to a hotel and I saw a woman walking into the elevator with a craft cocktail in hand, I described it for the bartender and he knew exactly what I was talking about, Lady Martini, a not too sweet fruit based martini with a shot of Prosecco on the side. Yes please!!!! We have gone there with non-vegan friends in the past, and they love it as well. I can't wait for our next visit, thank you for a night to remember :)

Vegan restaurant
Cocktail bar
Nestled in the vibrant east side of Amsterdam, H/eart.h is a must-visit for anyone seeking delightful vegan cuisine and a lively atmosphere. This charming eatery serves up an array of innovative dishes, such as zesty rawvioli made from red beet paired with chive cheese and caramelized onion, alongside comforting broccoli gnocchi enveloped in a creamy sun-dried tomato sauce.
I really loved this restaurant! The atmosphere is relaxing, the owner is a real smiley person willing to make you feel comfortable and happy. I came with friends for my 40th birthday and it was the best choice! We had the tasting menu and the food was wonderful, tasty and unexpected! The cocktails were really fantastic. The waiters were gentle and helpful. The music was lovely. This restaurant is a real good surprise! We had a perfect evening. Highly recommended.

Outstanding vegan cuisine in an out of the way location in a quiet part of Amsterdam. Visually creative and full of flavor, the vegan sushi blew us away and we could have eaten three or four more servings. Our charcoal ravioli with shiitake mushroom filling was more subtle in flavor but quite tasty. The service was excellent and the overall ambience laid back and relaxing. Great for a romantic evening or for groups of friends. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic meal! Really enjoyed the ambiance, nice music selection. The smiles on my waiter could have been a little bigger as well as his slightly unenergetic pace through the restaurant. But that vegan beetroot sushi - so yummy! Great Jazzo del demonio red wine too

Just had the pleasure of dining at Hearth twice while in town and was incredibly impressed by the quality, taste, and presentation of every dish. I was delighted by the flavor combinations of everything, starting with the surprise gifts from the chef such as creative sushi or small bites to the mains, dessert and creative cocktails like a peanut butter washed Old Fashioned. In addition, the warm atmosphere and service were wonderful as were the reasonable prices. As an omnivore from California, where plant-based cuisine is not uncommon, Hearth was a very high bar above almost every restaurant I’ve been to, especially considering it’s vegan and I’d recommend everyone to try it, no matter what your diet is!
Vu P — Google review
We had our anniversary dinner at Hearth while on holiday in Amsterdam, and it was such a lovely experience! We went for the tasting menu and absolutely loved every course — especially the green curry coconut cauliflower soup and the black charcoal shiitake mushroom ravioli. The atmosphere was chill and cozy, and everyone was super nice, helpful, and attentive — special shoutout to our lovely waiter Saul. The food was exceptional — a rare treat to enjoy a completely plant-based fine dining experience. Highly recommend Hearth to both vegans and omnivores. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Amsterdam!

Fantastic food and service! All the dishes were very flavourful, looked beautiful and were very creative. The staff were attentive and the food and wine was served with a lot of passion. The music was not too loud on this occasion and the lighting was very soothing. A highly enjoyable evening, thank you!

It was a wonderful atmosphere, the service was exceptional and the food... Mind-blowingly creative combinations of cultures, tastes and textures. We had a great evening and we'll definitely be back on our next visit.

Mr & Mrs Watson, a vegan restaurant in Amsterdam Oost, is named after the pioneers of veganism. The founders are passionate about creating comforting dishes using only plant-based ingredients, extending to their decor and furniture. Their specialty lies in crafting award-winning vegan cheese for cheeseboards and cheesecakes. The menu features classic non-vegan items like cheese fondue and quiche made with animal-friendly alternatives.
This is my second time to this restaurant. I really like their food and drinks. We had a Blue Butterfly Pea Latte and a Gin and Tonic and both were really good. We also tried the cheese platter and the vegan cheese tasted very interesting. The burger with onion rings was also good. A very good place to try if you are a vegan.
Sree C — Google review
Amazing vegan food in a warm and cozy space. Every dish is a unique as it is delicious. The range of flavors is large and some dishes are better than meat. The cheese platter is the best as it's a very unique twist to the dairy counterpart. Staff are warm, inviting and friendly.
Sins W — Google review
Love the gourmet vegan food vibe here! We didn’t get the cheese platter, but definitely regret it looking back. The flavours in their pastry and burger were still incredible though! Was definitely worth the trek and money!
Natasa C — Google review
Amazing all vegan restaurant! The food is so unique and delicious! The cheese platter is fancy, the tortilla special is very flavorful, the burger is better than a regular cheesy beef burger. The peanut brownie is so rich, how is it vegan! We tried cocktails, lemonade and golden turmeric, nothing is disappointing. I would definitely go back again.
Ann H — Google review
Even without being vegan or vegetarian, the best I have tasted in a long time. some vegan cheeses, hamburgers and delicious and very well prepared dishes, and the unbeatable service, a 10 to the manager, cooks and especially to the waitress from France who served us. I am sure that I will return and that I will recommend this restaurant.
Testing W — Google review
Really good vegan restaurant in Oost with a large sunny terrace and many tables inside too. I really love their vegan cheeses - especially the camembert with walnuts. The kombucha burger was outstanding, with a smokey BBQ flavor and a juicy patty. I also like their main course with palm of tree, quite original, but maybe a bit imbalanced (very large portion of palm of tree versus the rest of the dish). The vegan brownies was just delicious - sticky and very heavy.
Lorene F — Google review
Great restaurant, but pricey. We had a great evening. As a starter we shared the cheese platter CHARCUTERIE ET FROMAGE. And this was exceptional. Very delicious! Every component was perfect. As main we had the grilled steak burger and the cheese fondue. Both were very good. since we also shared our mains, it was fine, but just the fondue wouldn't have satisfied us. It's good, the "cheese" sauce was yummy but not really cheesy. Next time we would have ordered just the cheese platter and the burger, since both were satisfactory, comfy food, and we would have been full with just those two! Overall very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We would definitely recommend! But beware, payment only by card and pretty expensive ( because of the homemade cheeses etc. )
Melli C — Google review
Been here for Valentine’s dinner. The service was really on-point and the waiter did an amazing job but sadly the food was just alright, not outstanding. I’ve been eating in many vegan restaurants all around Europe but unfortunately I won’t remember Mr. & Mrs. Watson as one of the best. The course I liked the most was surprisingly the dessert and the cheese (as you would expect from this place). The main course was quite boring and the soup missed flavor. I guess this is the risk you run when having a fixed menu for the night. What I really didn’t like was the placement of the tables for a Valentine’s dinner. There was no intimacy at all as we were way too close to the next tables. This is, in my opinion, the worst mistake you can make on the most “romantic day” of the year. Instead of trying to earn more money, they should think about the comfort of the customers instead. I will probably give it another shot for another regular day, but I won’t be back on Valentine’s.

Japanese restaurant
Vegan Sushi Bar is a pioneering plant-based sushi restaurant with two locations in Amsterdam. It offers a diverse menu of colorful and delicious sushi rolls, featuring creative alternatives to traditional seafood such as crab, tuna, salmon, and shrimp. The restaurant also serves Japanese-style dishes like Oyster Mushroom Karaage and Takoyaki Octopus Balls. With unique ingredients like mango and coconut, the menu is sure to excite even the most discerning palates.
All I care about is vegan sushi - so as you can imagine, I was coming in with high expectations, or just pure excitement. The place is literally named vegan sushi, so there's no question about what you are getting into. The music and atmosphere were both great and the staff was friendly. We had the gyoza, boa, miso soup and two different rolls (one maki, the other Korean pulled beef). To finish it off, we had mango mochi. I would've liked more tofu and less mushrooms in my miso soup, but otherwise great flavor. Hilariously, a Japanese woman walked in while we were eating and walked up to look at the kitchen and said "I have to see what vegan sushi looks like!" and then proceeded to giggle and smile while looking around. This place is the real deal, do not skip either location - I wish they were in the states! Everything was completely delicious, beyond!
M C — Google review
Sushi might not seem like the most obvious option for a delicious vegan food experience but Vegan Sushi Bar absolutely WOWED my omnivorous guests with their fantastic spread of gorgeous plant-based delights. Finding caterers who are vegan and able to deliver this high quality fare at reasonable prices is very rare. I first visited the restaurant to check out the food and was stunned by how gorgeous everything looked - and tasted! If you haven’t visited yet, or if you need an event catered, I highly recommend their services. 10/10!!

Ended up in Amsterdam during a week long road trip to Belgium and the Netherlands. Along the way, I saw plenty of sushi restaurants and I just wanted to have some as I thought it would be a bit different. This place was very conveniently located to us as it was just around the corner from where we were staying and being a completely vegan/vegetarian menu was an absolute dream for my mother who is a vegetarian. It was a little bit pricey, but was it worth it? I’d say it was. The food was delicious! Very much recommend to those who want something different. The staff are very friendly too. I would love to try it again someday.

The food was really nice. Ate so much that it gave me stomach pains. Some good deals and lots of variety. Reservation required as it's pretty small inside but very pleasant and nice friendly service. Would recommend.

This cute restaurant is unassuming from the outside but packs a punch on the inside. The vegan sushi menu is on par with Michelin-star vegan restaurants we've visited. Well thought out options are carefully curated and we found ourselves coming back a few days later to try even more.

The best vegan sushi I've ever had! Absolute sorcery at work with the spicy tuna maki and shrimpless bao--I challenge anyone to say they're not convinced they're eating seafood. Honestly just brilliant. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, and the space was inviting and staff very pleasant. Will be back!

we ate here last week, and as a vegetarian I can't say anything else but I loved this place, the food, especially the taloyaki and the staff! maybe what I would have to say is that the sushi was too seasoned for my tastes! a little too much kataifi paste in the salmon one that covered the flavors, for the rest it was perfect, the lady (I think she was the owner) was very kind. I recommend everyone to go, you will be amazed!!

With a strong commitment to respecting humans, animals, the environment, and the economy, this self-service eatery allows you to create your own meal and pay by weight. The extensive buffet features over 50 organic vegan and vegetarian dishes, including salads, hot entrees, and desserts. it was my first time at Spirit: I found a spacious and bright ambience, also suitable for bloggers and those who work with their PCs on the go. The food was spectacular, with the freedom to choose the quantities and different dishes on display. I really liked the concept and did not find it expensive in terms of prices. The friendly staff was ready to help you and explain how the dish could be composed. I highly recommend it and I will definitely return. Oh I forgot the most important thing is that the food is Vegan-Vegetarian.

Very dirty place. All chairs have spills on them and are very dirty. The floor is dirty. Normally we wouldn’t care about the floor cleanliness but when you come with young kids, you would like the place to be at least clean… We had full plates of food and it cost 30€ each. We were shocked. We could’ve gone to an all-you-can eat for 40€ not so far away and that was very clean and included meat too. And we were very hungry after finishing our food in this place but spending at least 30€ more per person for no meat would’ve been preposterous. For this money you would think they would come by your table to ask what drinks you want to order and afterwards to clean the table. Wrong. You have to queue at the counter, where there were 3 ladies today at 19:00, but they were all chit chatting and I had to wait for them to finish their conversation before one of them decided to help me. And no, they are not friendly, as other reviews mentioned. The ladies are bored and seem bothered that they need to stop their chit chat in order to weigh my food and take my money… We’re not coming here again.

Can 2 carnivores find joy in a vegetarian buffet? Yes. This food was delicious. The room is spacious and quiet. We grabbed a plate, filled it with well-prepared food and paid by weight for it at the counter. The cauliflower tempura is excellent and the broccolini salad was yummy. Counter staff excellent.

Great food, all vegetarian and organic. Nice cakes, especially rare to find lactose-free options anywhere in Amsterdam, and thia place has a variety of them! Self service, not very cozy, and super conplicated toilet door contraptions, but definitely a nice place to eat or have a coffee.

We loved it here. Great spot for vegetarians and meatitarians too (the latter will find “steak” and “rib” alternatives that are delicious). Lots of options to choose from, something for everyone. Go here, you’ll enjoy it. Just a heads up - you pay by weight. I would recommend looking first…before filling up your plate - especially if you’re really hungry! For reference, the attached pictures were €17 and €12.

The restaurant's interior exudes a unique blend of temple and yoga retreat vibes, creating a tranquil atmosphere for diners. With an emphasis on organic ingredients and a wide variety of vegan options, Golden Temple has established itself as a standout choice in the city's bustling culinary scene.
What a glorious place! We both had the “Flavours of India” dish and my goodness, it was wonderful! The interior is stunning, food is gorgeous and we both had a fresh juice each too which were super nourishing. As veggies, this is the perfect spot to go to for curry! Highly recommend for vegetarian/vegan folk, and anyone looking for a fantastic meal with a chilled, warm vibe.

We loved everything about our experience at the Golden Temple! We were kindly greeted by the in-house cat, the service was very friendly and accommodating, the food was made pretty fast, and it was absolutely delicious. I loved the spice mix in my paneer masala dish, and it was also very beautifully served. Highly recommend this gem!

Indian cuisine, friendly and lovely staff all vegetarian /vegan dishes that are originally from northern India. there is seating on the first floor and on the second floor of the restaurant. The ambience and the music/decor was really on point. The food came really quickly, and there was lots of flavor in the meals that were provided. I wouldn’t say it 100% compares to the Indian cuisine that you’ll get in the UK however the chili mushroom and the paneer masala/ Tofu masala for dishes that stood out in our eyes. we give this experience a 4 out of 5
StrenFormula — Google review
We rolled up in Golden Temple w/o a reservation, which we didn’t think would be a problem given that there were only two other parties—a two-top & a four-top, there—but were immediately told we could only have a table for 90m. This is a pet peeve of mine 1. Because 2/3 of how long a cover takes consists of how fast the kitchen is—for the record, they’re reasonably fast—& how attentive the service is, 2. It’s a horrible first impression for someone in the hospitality industry to give & 3.(& there is no way they could have know this) I was a waiter for 10 years & hate sitting, so I’m the LAST person who is gonna overstay his welcome. As it happens, we finished before EITHER of the parties that were there when we arrived & practically had to jump-tackle a server to get our check. That said, the food was delicious. Masamam Curry is my go-to at a Thai restaurant, so I’ve had my fair share of it, & this was good. I’d also never had it with tofu & didn’t think it would be as flavorful as the imitation duck I usually get, but it really was delicious. & the use of tiny potatoes—as opposed to cut up larger potatoes—was inspired because it ensures they are all cooked perfectly & evenly. Be warned that, while tasty, the cheesy naan is more like a quattro formaggi pizza; ain’t nuttin’ wrong with that…just not what I’d expected. The decor is also 👨🏻‍🍳🤌🏼.
Yiannis P — Google review
I ordered the tofu tikka masala after seeing the glowing google reviews here and the garlic naan bread. The presentation was beautiful and the food arrived super quickly, but the tofu tikka masala seemed to be missing any spices… it just tasted like stewed vegetables in tomato sauce to me which was disappointing. The garlic naan with the different chutneys were all super tasty though and closer to what I’d expect at an Indian restaurant. TL;DR I’d only recommend the naan and avoid the tikka masala.
Rachel — Google review
The food was really guuuuuud✨ Loved the garlic naan🫶🏽 Also the location is super cozy !! Cute oriental vibe💜💜

Nestled in the heart of Amsterdam, Golden Temple is a culinary gem for vegetarians. The food was simply delightful, and the portion sizes were spot on. They offer a fantastic fusion of Asian, Indian, and Mediterranean flavors that create a unique and satisfying dining experience. Some standout dishes include the Goan curry, mango salad, carrot ginger drink, momos, and the panna cotta for dessert. Each dish was a treat, with perfect balance and distinct taste. This place is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for flavorful vegetarian options in Amsterdam.

It's renowned for its delectable vegan and organic offerings, making it the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or a delightful vegan snack. Whether you choose to dine inside the cozy café or on the terrace, you can indulge in an array of sweet and savory treats that are completely free from animal products.
One of my absolute favorite vegan spots in Amsterdam! The entire menu is fantastic, and so is their Afternoon Tea. My go-to favorites are the lemongrass chai latte, the carrot cake, the scones, and the frittata sandwich. I even ordered the carrot cake for my son’s 1st birthday, and everyone loved it! The team is always warm, friendly, and welcoming. I don’t think there will ever be enough words to fully describe how special this place is — highly recommend!

One of the best cafes I've been in Amsterdam. The sandwiches, especially the PLT, were fantastic and the Italian carrot cake is one of the best I've had in a long time. I will definitely come back someday for the afternoon tea.

Absolutely fantastic service, the chai latte was incredible and the chocolate cake was to die for. My sister had the apple and almond cake and really enjoyed hers as well. We visited after a walk through the park from Molenwerf and it was just wonderful. Definitely would visit Amsterdam again just to have their latte and cake again.

The coffee and food was nice, but maybe the day we were there one of employees had a bad day… It made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than customers. Our server was cold and not smiling, When I tried to start a small talk (think of conversations like where are from, how long do you live in Amsterdam etc (I am not Dutch myself)) it only made it worse. I worked with customers myself, so I used to smile to everyone and having a small conversation. For the rest is cozy cafe with delicious vegan food but I am afraid I won’t be willing to come back, which is the shame…

Awesome experience, nice and cozy interior with great food and even greater Cappuccino! The service was impeccable and we would gladly visit again (which we did during our vac). The fritata and PLT get a straight 10/10 from me. It's all vegan, too!

Staff is friendly and helpful, and our meals were made within 10 mins of ordering. I did not like my salad but my friend said her chicken Cesar pita was good. It was very hot inside the shop but there was a few outdoor tables for a different seating option. I’d be willing to go back and try something else if someone else wanted to go, not sure I’d pick it though.

This was a really hardy dinner, one that felt very healthy and fulfilling. The ingredients seemed to be great quality although they were a bit cold—I’m guessing they had been out for a while so they didn’t taste the freshest. Granted, I went an hour or two before they closed. I still think expectations of freshness can be upheld until closing though. While it was a good dinner, I wasn’t too obsessed with the flavor of the bowl, maybe it could have used a unifying sauce/dressing to make it feel like an actual salad. I appreciated the big menu and lots of both vegetarian and vegan options. For meat eaters, it seemed really easy to supplement the plant protein for chicken if that’s your vibe.

Don’t be fooled by the nondescript appearance from the outside. The food and service is top notch. The samosas were a vibrant new take on the dish that I’d never seen before, bite size, crunchy outside chewy inside, yet the flavor remained refreshingly authentic. The crispy roti wrap was similar in the sense where I could taste the homage to the traditional rotis I’ve had, but the style and flavors were fresh and modern. The “chicken” inside was authentic tasting and moist and crispy. I took one star off atmosphere only because they could probably use a refresher, as this was the only thing deterring me from trying the restaurant sooner, and I wish I had. I love the quirky character of the design as it feels warm and unique, but I feel like even a small renovation could go a long way. Or maybe keep it the same so the place doesn’t become too popular?😜 But I’m splitting hairs on what’s already a solid restaurant. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. Highly recommend for vegans and non vegans alike.

This fully vegan restaurant was our food highlight in Amsterdam! The staff were dedicated, friendly and always explained what was on the plate in front of us. We had the Madre experience and the name says it all. They let us eat our way through eight dishes and all of them with their own refinement. And again: I can only emphasize how great the staff was. It was a very special evening for us

Uniquely delicious food, still mind-blown that it’s all vegan! Our waiter was super helpful and knowledgeable, he elevated our experience. For sides, we first tried the medium-spicy salsa and thought, “eh, not too spicy.” So we went for the habanero one and quickly got humbled! Good to know: the dishes themselves aren’t overly spicy, but they’re packed with rich, layered flavors. Bravo chefs! Dessert was on a whole other level. We had the Mole Rosa and the Mexican tres leches torrija, the perfect finish to our meal! Definelty one of the highlights of our evening. My date and I ended up grabbing drinks at the front bar and realized we’d actually spent nearly 4 hours there in total (eating + drinking). Insane and happy! An amazing date spot ;)

This little gem right here was the highlight of our trip in Amsterdam. The best vegan Mexican food we’ve had in our life. Great food, amazing service by our lovely waiter LUKASS - he was so helpful & sweet! & ambiance. I am the happiest vegan woman in the world! & the best cocktails! I am a vegan from London with my vegetarian Mum & I can say Madre will top Club Mexicana in London. Thank you for an incredible experience!

Honestly i was pleasantly shocked / surprised at how much growth madre had done! I had visited 3 years ago and again a week ago and im just so proud and happy and cant wait to go again soon! First i have to say that the service and atmosphere were always amazing from the get go, they just get the amsterdam vibes down to a T with a bow wrapped neatly on top! 🎀 But 3 years ago Madre was just starting out, and i have to say the food was quite meh. 3 years later and Madre have upped their game and won my heart in the process 😭 the amount of flavor explosions is mind blowing! All the dishes compliments each other, and usually feeling satisfied from a meal without meat is a bit difficult for me, but the meals felt so well balanced and well rounded and i felt very satisfied! They have also, of course, upped their game with the live guac station which was a super nice interactive moment! And last but not least, it’s always nice to have a fully plant based kitchen which means that majority of food is halal and can be enjoyed by muslims and a wide variety of people! ✨ Honestly hats off! This is how you build a great thing! Im so glad i decided to visit again, and cant wait to be back! Hats off 🎩

I went for brunch on a Saturday. The place looks really cute, I definitely loved the atmosphere. The food was refined and flavourful. I also had the mezcal margarita, fresh and smoky! 🍸 I would definitely recommend. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived (around 12.15). It got a bit busier through the lunch but I would say you don’t need to make a reservation around that time.
Bérenger K — Google review
some of the most creative and memorable tacos I’ve ever eaten - really delicious and interesting flavours! servers were also really accomodating to requests (e.g. my partner not liking coriander/cilantro) only problems were the mild acoustic issues (it’s quite loud in there) and service was a bit slow before and after the meal (but great during!)
Alex R — Google review
Madre Amsterdam: Bold Flavors, Vibrant Vibes, and a Pricey Punch If you're craving modern Mexican cuisine with a twist, Madre delivers in style. - 🥑 Guacamole: Freshly made tableside and absolutely delicious. A must-try. - 🌱 Artichoke tacos: A standout! Grilled seasonal artichokes with mojo de ajo and guasacaca salsa—unique and flavorful. - 🔊 Ambience: The energy is high, but it can get too loud for comfort. Not ideal for intimate chats. - 💸 Pricing: While the food is inventive and beautifully presented, the experience felt too expensive overall. Perfect for a lively night out with friends who appreciate bold flavors and don’t mind splurging a bit.

Great food and amazing passionate owners who cook a different set menu every day. You can also pair your food with amazing wines, beer… It’s not cheap but it’s totally worth it. Amazing place, amazing food, amazing owners.

Enjoyed the experience, nice place, cooked for you my the owner couple, no menu just a fixed meal of whatever they choose. Some things were great, others were so so, I liked the cakes the least, but in general a very happy experience

Amazing experience from start to finish. All the food was excellent and each dish we got a description of what part of the world it came from. You can tell they are passionate about what they serve and definitely know what they’re doing. We had great natural wines paired with out food as well. Not to mention the tasty desserts at the end. You will not leave this restaurant hungry or unhappy. Thank you for the great evening. We can’t wait to come back and see what dishes will be served up next.

Absolute must for vegetarians and even vegans in Amsterdam! The food is so well thought out, paired together, and coupled with organic wines. Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful hosts, beautiful resident kitty allowed to see guests after the kitchen closes. Do make a reservation because there is very limited capacity.

We had a wonderful meal at Betty's. Great service, great food, great people. I was especially happy that they were able to accommodate my partner's gluten/dairy/egg free diet, while still getting to enjoy the most amazing focaccia I've ever had. Be ready to spend the evening enjoying delicious food from around the world.

Very welcoming vegetarian place (no meat, fish or eggs used), where you really feel at home with the owners cooking / baking for you. Unique menu with 3 large shared dining plates (starters, mains, desserts) with dished from several countries around the world. Food is really diverse, tasty and colorful, the experience is totally worth it. Every dish is explained in great detail when brought to the table. Bread is baked locally and very tasty. Wine or beer can be added, great recommendations from the owner! Don't be scared by "natural wines", the ones we tasted were really great. Only 2 things to call out: - the desserts we had were good but too sweet / creamy; we would have preferred for example a chocolate mousse (yes, it is possible without eggs!) or more fruit-based items - full dinner takes approx. 3 hours, which makes sense to enjoy all of it, but for some people (not us) it can seem too long
Matthieu C — Google review
So glad to have had a chance to eat at Betty's! Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience; its a pretty gem of a restaurant tucked away like a treasure in plain sight, run by a lovely couple who clearly put in lots of love and care into everything they do! We had their surprise 3 course lunch with wine recommended by the knowledgeable Mr Gido. The food and wine were, to simply put it, delicious! All the dishes were unique, diverse and wholesome. The deserts were the star for me; decadent, rich and worth every calorie ;). Will definitely be visiting again! Recommend all (vegetarian or not) to put this on their list and make a reservation!
Akshita Y — Google review
Definitely worth checking out if you're vegetarian! The ambiance in the restaurant is very quiet and calm (not rowdy or festive) and the food is varied, interesting and delicious. The service is fantastic and you really get the sense that the menu, food and wine pairings have been created with passion and care

Margo's in Amsterdam was established by Margo and her husband, who were frustrated with the lack of vegan croissants. Their bakery is centrally located, just a short walk from Centraal station, making it convenient for visitors. The bakery offers a variety of vegan pastries and specialty coffee, along with different plant-based milk options. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, Margo's has become a favorite spot for many visitors to Amsterdam.
The best croissant I have tried anywhere in the world. Its big, crunchy, fluffy, buttery, and very satisfying to eat. I came here multiple times because its so good. Unbelievable plant based bakery!
Rufat R — Google review
Amazing bakery - we had the Palestinian savory danish and the ham & cheese croissant and it was absolutely delicious. We will be dreaming of the croissant tonight - it tasted exactly how it looked: flaky but not crumbly, buttery, flavorful. The matcha was perfect too. Would be nice if there more possibilities to sit, as there are just a few benches inside and outside - but if kept in mind it is totally fine. We will be back soon! It’s a must try for vegans and non-vegans 💚

The staff were so kind, and I was so happy to discover this fully dairy-free bakery in Amsterdam! 🤤🥰 It felt amazing to finally enjoy such delicious croissants and pastries without having to worry about dairy. The cakes were also absolutely delicious – I truly recommend this place to everyone! 🥰
Krisztina B — Google review
Dairy allergy safe ✅!!! All vegan bakery. I've been to quite a lot of vegan bakeries at this point, and I'd honestly say the pistachio rose danish here was the best pastry I've ever had. I also got the cheese croissant which was also amazing. I went with my friend two days in a row on our trip because it was that good (and got the pistachio one both days). I'm deathly allergic to dairy so it's always a really nice treat when I can eat at 100% vegan places without my normal allergy anxiety!! But my friend who isn't vegan loved it just as much. The lattes were great as well. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!

Really nice vegan bakery, small variety but they all looked delicious. We had I think 6 different ones which as vegans we can't find in many places, like the croissants. I would have preferred if the cheese croissant had a little more filling, and the same with the pain au chocolat. They were all delicious though, and really reasonable prices. It didn't have many places to sit just two seats outside and one on the inside, so it's more a to go place. Would totally recommend!!

The food was so good oh wow! The flavour combinations went crazy. We just stumbled upon the restaurant on our trip here. It was absolutely worth it!🙂‍↕️😍We ate this (2 people) and weren't able to finish everything. I am still stunned by how good everything tasted

This was our second visit, and we noticed that the portion sizes were noticeably smaller than before and also smaller compared to other tables. It left us wondering if there was a reason for this. Additionally, the food was quite salty, which affected our overall experience.

Really nice Vegan place in west. I liked their cauliflower bites and noodles. Flavours are wonderful and food is delicious. They have great drinks as well with their own twist. I tried the magic lemonade and it was exciting :D Outdoor sitting makes it perfect choice for those summer brunches! Service is nice as well with courteous staff. I would definitely recommend it to check it out to fellow vegan and vegetarians.

My favourite restaurant in the neighbourhood, perhaps in whole Amsterdam! I loved the ramen before, but the Japanese green salad is amazing! It is absolutely delicious and it’s big and it’s only €12 by August 2025! Gochisousamadeshita! 🙏

Wonderful restaurant. Couldn't fault anything! The food was delicious and service was excellent. Really great fun atmosphere and beautiful decor. The food was absolutely delicious. I went with a friend and we tried a range of dishes. We shared 7 between us which was maybe one too many. The portions were good and we were very full. I would definitely go back.
Amanda B — Google review
Staff was exceptional. I was really surprised with the food. I did not expect all that much, but from the 3 dishes we ordered, all were really good. Did the mapo taste like mapo? No. But it was delicious nonetheless. Spicy cauliflower is a must eat. I would love to come again. My meat eating friend said that unlike with other vegan options, the food here was really flavorful.
Edía P — Google review
A fully vegan restaurant with a very diverse Asian influenced spread. The Korean cauliflower bites was the star of the show, a must try! Kimchi toast was very good as well. The shanghai fried noodles had an interesting twist with crunchy okra in it. But the overall taste was decent, felt very clean and healthy but maybe the flavours could have been pushed up a notch. Wasn't impressed with the papaya salad, was too bland for our taste. We tried their homemade lemonades and they were really good. Hibiscus, matcha mint and the colour changing magic lemonade were all good and refreshing. The service is quite friendly and nice! They have a very colourful and cheerful decor with comfortable seating both inside and outside on the terrace. They have a good selection of cocktails as well. We didn't try them but maybe next time.

This is a seriously cute and delicious restaurant. Sharing is caring definitely ;-) We were 6 members of friends. We had almost all the foods on the menu and we shared them along. All of which was definitely enough food and had great variety. The restaurant is small but so lovely cute inside. It really does feel like you are in someone's cozy apartment-turned-restaurant and someone is cooking in their home kitchen.. One of dishes we ordered was so so late. My friend could get it after 1hour30min. I don’t know why the servers kept telling us it will be soon on the table. I think it would’ve been better, if they told us that we should cancel. At the end of the service, they proposed us shots of Lemon cello. It was also nice but It would be still better if they told us some more details why the food is so late and better to cancel it. Except that, everything was just so good.

Food 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Vibe 10/10 Food was delicious we got the three dips platter. Each dip was fresh and yummy. The pita was good too. We also ordered the cauliflower but they never brought it out to us. So not sure how that tasted. We also ordered the sea bass. It was absolutely amazing. The crispy edges were to die for. The espresso martini was outstanding. And I’ve had a plethora of EM’s in my day.
Caitlin R — Google review
Every dish we ordered was delicious! The gorgeous presentation is a nice touch too - makes for great photos and a more pleasant experience overall. I highly recommend the smoked aubergine and the laabane. You might have to order more pita bread because the laabane is super rich. The staff were friendly and thoughtful. We were seated at the second floor and they would make it a point to drop by every now and then to check if there was anything we needed.

Wow, I mean wow. This restaurant we stumbled upon while looking for something to eat was such a great experience. It is small and crowded, but the food experience was exquisite! Great flavors and great presentation! I mean, even the Pita bread and the humus is great! I will definitely come back for more! That Smoked aubergine will be stuck in my head for a long time!
Hendrik B — Google review
Delicious food, absolutely amazing. Very tasty, the smoky aubergine and the baba ganoush were super flavorsome, as were the chicken thighs and the kebabs. But it is a very very small and crowded place, not the most comfortable to sit and enjoy a conversation with friends.
Simona C — Google review
We walked past the door and decided to give it a go — and what a discovery! This place is a gem. We tried their signature cauliflower dish, the chicken thighs, and the mince over labneh, and I absolutely enjoyed every bite. If I had to choose, I’d say you definitely need to try the cauliflower; I’m sure it’ll surprise you! The waitress also recommended trying the Mana lemonade, and I’m glad I did because it was very tasty and refreshing, complementing all the flavors on the table. The staff was also super friendly, and the place was packed, so make sure to book a table before popping by!
Laura R — Google review
The place is quite small although you can sit outside (if it's summer or if you're brave enough). Plenty of options on the menu, all good and tasty, so with a big group is easy to go for a little bit of everything and try them all. My favourite list: hummus, the cauliflower, lamb special and the smoked aubergine. 33€ each for brunch including drinks, it was not my first time here, and it won't be the last one!

Had the most relaxing breakfast there. The indian baked beans masala was already the perfect start for a rainy day, however the walnut cashew pie with chocolate was outstanding! Enjoyed it very much.

Nice decoration and friendly staff. I had a cappuccino with soy milk and glutenfree maple pancakes. In my personal opinion it didn't taste good. Pancakes were not fluffy and it was only tasting like ginger bread spice. It was too herb for pancakes.

The food did NOT disappoint. We had an amazing, healthy vegan breakfast here. The meals were satisfying and delicious which can sometimes be a hard combination to find. We got the buckwheat pancakes and the fig and cashew cheese bread with rocket and walnuts. The open faced sandwich was exceptional and came with a small quinoa side salad that was absolutely delicious. Wish we could eat here all of the time!

I'm as far from vegan as it gets, but I thoroughly enjoyed their pancakes, scones and a smoothie. We had a Vegan Break-Fest for two and while it wasn't too much and was a bit pricey (27€) it was still enough for a good breakfast. I'm definitely not turning vegan, but I liked the "home" vibe of the place.

We came here for a vegan breakfast and what else can we say? We had an amazing breakfast! Also gluten-free and everything is selfmade and made with love. The cakes and the options of the meals makes every vegan heart beat faster. The buckwheat pancakes were the best I ever had - and I already had a lot! They are very fluffy and are served with fresh fruit and maple syrup. The list of vegan and gluten free cakes and other sweets is endless. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful breakfast here. We would definitely come here again. P.S. Insanely good food. Easily the best vegan nachos and burger we have had ever (& we live in london which has amazing vegan food!). The nacho portion for one person was massive even though it said it was a snack. Super tasty and quick to come out. Staff are friendly. UPDATE 18/11/2022 Love this place, bbq nacho bucket always to well packed with flavors. Tried the tacos too and they were well up their game love the spices. Also the curly fries are so fresh wish that they did a larger portion though for that price because it comes in a cup which is rather small. This place is so nice! The vibe it gives, the nice people who work there and its Food! The burgers they have there is such a great quality! And its also good to know that they serve a vegan softserve which is so delicous! Actually I just liked everything on the menu and thats what I think is impressive knowing that I am quite picky with tastes/food. They even have my fav Rose Lemonade which I ADORE💝 Definitely stop by this place if you have the munchies or want to try their delicious Mylkshakes!,, Its easily ascessible with either the tram 24 or Metro 52 at the stop "The Pijp"

The milkshakes/sundaes were excellent albeit a bit much sweetness (but well I guess that's what I signed up for with a milkshake...) The Ambiente is quite nice too and they have a unisex toilet which is a great plus. Anyway we were there again to try some of the dinner options and safe to say there were delicious. The burger was crunchy and the nachos super flavourful. And the staff are super friendly too. Besides as we shared our food between two people they gave us two sets of spoons/straws for the milkshake/sundae and even offered to cut our burger in half. tldr: all-round great place with good sweet and savory food

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
De Kas is a charming restaurant located in a former municipal greenhouse, offering a modern and light-filled dining experience surrounded by glass. The menu features Mediterranean-influenced cuisine with an emphasis on freshly grown vegetables from the restaurant's own greenhouses and garden. While not strictly vegetarian, the daily changing prix-fixe dinner menu typically includes five or six dishes, with options for accommodating vegetarians. The wine selection is impressive, and pairings are expertly done.
An exceptional fine dining journey at De Kas Dining at De Kas is far more than a meal—it is a beautifully curated experience that celebrates seasonality, craftsmanship, and a true sense of place. Set within a striking glasshouse, the ambiance is both refined and serene, perfectly framing the culinary artistry that unfolds course by course. The six-course tasting menu was nothing short of extraordinary—elegant compositions that highlighted the purity of the ingredients while surprising the palate with creativity and finesse. After the fifth course, guests are given the delightful choice of one or two desserts, a gesture that perfectly encapsulates the restaurant’s thoughtful approach to indulgence. What makes De Kas truly remarkable is its philosophy: the menu evolves every three to four weeks, shaped almost entirely by produce grown in their own gardens and on their farm north of Amsterdam. For the few elements not cultivated in-house, such as animal products, they source with meticulous care from trusted local partners. The result is cuisine that feels at once innovative and deeply authentic. Service was exemplary—warm yet discreet, attentive yet never intrusive. Each dish was introduced with genuine passion and precision, offering insight into its inspiration and preparation. The wine pairings were chosen with great expertise, enhancing each plate and creating a flawless harmony between food and glass. De Kas delivers not just dinner, but an unforgettable gastronomic narrative. A destination that deserves to be experienced more than once, it stands as one of Amsterdam’s most compelling fine dining addresses.

We had lunch there quite some time ago and enjoyed it. We liked the idea that they grow their own ingredients and serve them fresh. You can see the greenhouse right at the entrance, which is a nice touch. The staff welcomed us warmly when we arrived, and the service inside was good too. They were helpful and open to questions about the food and the menu. Each dish was nicely presented and tasted good—sometimes the flavors were quite strong. When you have several dishes together, it might feel a bit overwhelming because everything is quite flavorful. But of course, that depends on personal preference. We sat in the dining hall, which was a bit noisy. Not sure if it was because of sound bouncing off the windows. It might be better on a nice day when the doors and windows can be opened. So that reason we will head back there again in summer.

Had an amazing dinner at De Kas! The service was excellent, Donal took great care of us and was super attentive the whole night with excellent recommandation. We went for the 5-course menu, and it was totally worth it, every dish was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The interior is beautiful, dining inside a greenhouse surrounded by plants feels really spécial, feels like you are outside amsterdam. Definitely go for the wine pairing and try the langoustine. Will be back to try the lunch menue !

I have been here several times and it’s so consistent over those years. I loved dinner, popup, lunch. Last time we visited during lunch and i forgot that even if you order a set of 3-4 plates, you will get waaaay more, i’m so full every time. F.i. lunch started with bread, butter, huge cracker with herb sauce, zucchini flower, spring roll (everything is very delicious and not-so-simple) – all of this just compliments! Then it continued with 4 dishes from the menu. Coffee followed by complimentary ~cupcake. And in the end a complimentary lemon sorbet. Amazing lunch.

An unforgettable dining experience and one of the best meals we have ever had! The three-course lunch, with the added option of savory or sweet dessert, showcased imaginative, vegetable-forward dishes that were both beautifully presented, incredibly unique, and full of flavor. We had a lovely orange wine and a fresh cocktail. The attentive service made us feel comfortable and they accommodated dietary restrictions effortlessly. Set in a stunning greenhouse and approached via a scenic park walk, the ambiance was as remarkable as the food. Exceptional quality and value—if I lived nearby, I would return often! De Las was INCREDIBLE. I don’t say this lightly but it was one of the most wonderful dining experiences I have ever had. The atmosphere was beautiful and so unique. The service was wonderful and all of the waitstaff was knowledgeable and friendly. And then the food… the food was phenomenal. Each course was delicious, fresh, and unique in flavor. This experience can not be missed when in Amsterdam.

A truly delightful dining experience! The dishes were a perfect combination of flavors, crafted with fresh ingredients that created a unique and memorable meal. Most of the vegetables and fruits are sourced directly from their own local gardens, which really shines through in both taste and quality. While there aren’t Halal options available, the staff is attentive and happy to guide you toward excellent fish and vegetarian choices. Overall, I loved the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully prepared food.

This space transcends expectations. How incredible it is to experience what care and freshness can do to simple, elegant, and authentic food. You will leave de Kas feeling healthier than you arrived! Portions are perfectly sized to enjoy the entire menu coursing, so don’t skip any offerings. Amuse bouche and small samplings are offered frequently, and only add to the experience. Beverages are excellent and worth pairing. Make reservations well in advance and a short walk from the street, over a bridge, should be planned in travel time. Simply not to be missed. Every cent well spent!

The Alchemist Garden Community is a laid-back, health-oriented cafe located on Overtoom in Amsterdam. The restaurant boasts unique interiors with wooden tables and chairs, creating a hippie vibe. Their menu features raw, vegan, and organic dishes including pesto pasta with zucchini noodles, fresh smoothies, and nutrient-dense options. In addition to the cafe experience, visitors can also shop for biodynamic wines and stock up on nut and coconut milks.
Firstly, I just came here for smoothies, but they were great. No issues with freshness, smell, or taste for both. The service was pleasant. The fruit was chopped and processed when the smoothie was made, so no issues. Secondly, I would like to thank the man who made the smoothies who was working on Saturday June 21, 2025 in the afternoon. It was the 750th Anniversary Festival for Amsterdam and he graciously told me how to get in. That created a special experience for me I won't forget. That act seemed in line with a good community.

Came here on our first night in Amsterdam. Wasn't sure what to expect apart from it being a raw vegan place. We had the zucchini pesto pasta and beetroot smoothies. The smoothies were very strong and earthy and the zuchinni was very nice it was definitely an experience here, the food was very well presented and the man who served us was very kind.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel the need to warn others. A friend and I picked up food here and both got sick shortly after eating it. The taste was really strange, strong and off, but since we’re not that familiar with vegan food, we gave it the benefit of the doubt. Looking back, it clearly wasn’t fresh and we both ended up with symptoms of food poisoning. What really concerns me is that, reading back through other reviews, more people have mentioned issues with freshness and it seems nothing has been done about it. We won’t be going back. Strong recommendation to go elsewhere. --- Thank you for your response, but I completely stand by my experience. I’m not vegan, but I’ve followed detox routines where I ate raw food for several days, so I know what properly prepared raw food tastes like and have experienced the effects. This was something else entirely. Reading other reviews and seeing photos, it’s clear this isn’t the first time concerns about freshness have been raised, and frankly, it’s also not the first time these concerns seem to be dismissed rather than taken seriously. To be clear, I’m not looking for compensation, this isn’t about money. If I need medical advice, I’ll speak to my doctor. I’m sharing this experience to warn others, not to start a conversation.

Best place in town for pure food! Love this place it’s amazing for people who understand what’s raw food this is the place to be. I love the pure cacao what I use and the care of the products. Hiden gem in Amsterdam.

This was my third time at the restaurant and all the food was super delicious. Tried the raw burger and lasagna and family had the raw cakes and we all loved it. The staff is very nice and helpful as I asked for onion and garlic free options and they modified it for me, he place sells exotic fruit and herbal medicine as well. There is outside seating and also downstairs a clean toilet. Te only problem is that I dont live in Amsterdam to come more often :)

Love everything about this place. Can seat, detox, relax and enjoy really healthy food. The smoothies are very fulfilling and really enjoy their desserts. The place has a patio and inside they have a bunch of board games and books. Makes for a great place to go enjoy a meal, relax and chat.

Oliver Green is a delightful gem in Amsterdam, dedicated to serving up healthy and scrumptious vegan cuisine. The founders recognized the challenge of finding nutritious plant-based options in the city, especially for those on the go. With a focus on stylish yet wholesome meals, Oliver Green prides itself on using sustainable and unprocessed ingredients while steering clear of industrial meat substitutes commonly found elsewhere. Their menu features an array of vibrant salads and bowls, with gluten-free items clearly marked for convenience.
10 out of 5 experience. Amazing warm bowls, very cozy place and super friendly employees. I had a warm chicken bowl, which was so worth it, that I came back for it. Also, the area is very nice. You will find district coffee close by, an amazing cheese store and a french bakery. There are 2 Oliver Green in Amsterdam, I also checked another one, but didn’t enjoy the quality of ingredients or service as much. Will be back here again.

I think I have never had such a bad salad. Not a single broccoli that isn’t burnt. Tastes awful. No flavour. Sweet potato also over cooked. Rice is clearly from like last week. I would love a refund because I paid 21euros for this bowl that I refuse to eat and I think whoever prepared this would refuse too.

It was my favorite salad place… it was…. Already like 6 times in a row getting disappointed. Before whatever you oder it surprised you with an amazing taste combination of veggies and dressings and you were always longing for more. Now you cannot even finish it. Thought maybe bad luck i’ll try to order something different next time.Today was the worst- old rice that you cannot eat without cracking your teeth…was it scraped from the bottom? Was it few days old? You can get really sick of it. Not few accidental hard grains each bite you are cracking your teeth with bunch of them. Veggies burned… also some hair in my salad as souvenir…. ( see photo) This was my last time there and the worse. Other times also forgot dressing for my take a way. Steak pieces were not eatable, too chewy, plain dressing, just not tasty combination….half of my salad veld sla from AH not even bothered to cut roots of some of them. I don’t know if owner changed or what happened but never again…

Went to Olive green as it came up as a place for a vegan to eat the place was busy - for 7 pm on Tuesday night ( some other options near by close on Tuesday which may be one reason ) On the plus side / fresh ingredients / quick service / friendly staff / generous portion size I had a banana cake which was 110% and the green drink was tasty some yellow flags for vegans the menus selection is small - ok if you want wraps. or salads place the photos on line gave me the impression the place was more polished / new , which was not my experience

I took a smoothie and it tasted only of sour banana, the green mango: zero mango taste, but only a mix of sour fruits not even mixed well... 8 + eur for such a taste of lemon smoothie and long wait... Also the tuna sandwich was empty, only a super small amount of tuna, 3 leaves of salad and half onion... I don't recommend it, very expensive for no satisfactory meal and drink

The Meets in De Pijp is a vibrant spot offering gluten-free and vegan options for a healthy and delicious breakfast or lunch. The menu is clearly labeled, making it easy to choose from a variety of soups, salads, wraps, and sweet treats like vegan twix bars. The staff are highly attentive to allergies and dietary requirements. The colorful interior adds to the cheerful atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a wholesome vegetarian meal.
In a word: superb. I booked The Meets to celebrate my partner’s birthday and NYE, and the staff were more than accommodating of my last minute booking change. We ordered the sharing menu (plus drinks!) and the food exceeded our expectations. A true fine dining experience. The food was innovative, well balanced and all round delicious. There was a good range of dishes, each authentically reflecting a well-thought-out fusion menu. The Brazilian dish, which the staff proclaimed to be its signature, was by far the best. Could not recommend it enough.

North of Amsterdam's Indian quarter, a small vegetarian restaurant with influences from both Italy and Brazil. The place is beautifully colorful and mismatched, with a few small lounge areas nestled between the tables. The service, though a tad hesitant, is charming and attentive. A very feel-good place where everyone seems welcome. On the plates, plant-based dishes: a comforting cream of cime di rapa soup, tempura oyster mushrooms seasoned with a lovely little ginger condiment, delicious Tuscan gnudi in sage butter, a few tacos with romesco sauce and artichokes... Everything is absolutely excellent. In our glasses, Alessandro Viola's Rosso Isi is the perfect accompaniment to this transatlantic menu. We left delighted, and made a note of this little place, which is a little off the beaten track—especially as the area seems very nice: having arrived too early, we stopped for an aperitif at Eatmosfera Oost, on the same street, which also offers a nice selection of natural wines and pizzas that looked impeccable.

I came here following a friend's recommendation, they had some very interesting entries to try out!!! The atmosphere is something you'll notice right away it's cozy and smooth, with the low light it's even kinda romantic! The staff is very helpful and they speak English perfectly! The food was very interesting, like I said... They offer something like samples of their main courses so you get to try different stuff by ordering that, it's helpful when you don't know most of what they offer or haven't tried that! If anything, it is a bit pricey so be aware of this!!!

The staff were so friendly and excited to explaining you the flavor of the menu or drinks. I’m quite impressed. The restaurant has very cozy vibe and laidback. The food were surprisingly good. We didn’t expect that vegan food could be this flavorful and it’s really changed our mind towards vegan food! The ingredients are fresh and the presentation is good. I have been living near this place for almost a year now and this is the first time I decided to try it out. I wished I had gone there sooner. It's a vegan restaurant. The burger I had was one of the best burgers in Amsterdam, and not just in vegan category. Vegan tiramisu was delicious. It's a really good place if you're looking for vegan or vegetarian options. This vegetarian restaurant in Amsterdam serves a seasonal menu of international flavors with organic ingredients. The simple yet chic classic cafe seats just a handful of people every evening, and they serve reasonably priced seasonal menus. Reservations are recommended as the place is really small.
Absolutely delicious vegetarian restaurant! The flavors were incredible, with beautifully presented dishes and perfectly portioned servings. I’m not usually vegetarian, but I didn’t miss meat at all—the food was that good! Friendly service and a great wine selection, made it even better.

We came here over the weekend. Even for non-vegetarians, this is a delicious resto. One of us ordered the 3-course menu, and the other went for the 4-course menu. Vegetarian/ vegan gourmet cuisines, indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered 2, four course (gangen) menus. The quality of the food was very good. Each dish was prepared, exceptionally and all of the ingredients connected in Harmony. The service/was top-notch. The waiter/waitresses we’re very kind / warm and knew everything about what dishes were served to us. They explained what were abut to digest and how it was cooked / prepared. The drinks were mocktail, however they were very unique in their own right. We drank two mocktails a piece and both of them definitely were top-notch / stood out. The experience was definitely comparable to fine dining if not to that standard. We paid €56 x 2 for the four course menu which was 100% worth it. We will give this experience a 5 out of 5.

My favourite restaurant in Amsterdam. Every time I have guests from abroad, I make sure they experience this gorgeous table d’hôte of exquisite vegan and vegetarian gastronomy. The dishes are well balanced and creative, combining different flavours and textures, with emulsions, gaufrettes, mousses… Eating sustainability has never tasted so yum! I recommend the wine pairing; I have been pleased with many lovely natural wines. The prices are sooo reasonable for what you get. Super worth it! My only critique is that the dishes could have been described with more pride and passion by our server. She spoke a bit fast and I could not fully retain everything. She also said it was decorated with kale when it was actually capers. In short, the food is 👌🏻and the servers must make sure they prepare us well for it!

Dutch restaurant
Bolenius Restaurant is a stylish and modern dining spot located near the Station Zuid Metro stop in Amsterdam's sleek Zuidas district. The restaurant features a Scandinavian-inspired design with lacquered wood and angular chairs, offering a terrace for outdoor dining. Known for its innovative 'New Amsterdam' cuisine, Bolenius boasts a Michelin star and offers a set six-course menu featuring hyperlocal ingredients, including vegetables and herbs from its on-site kitchen garden.
I’ve been vegan for 13 years and it’s a rare occurrence to experience vegan fine dining. As a self-described “vegan foodie”, Bolenius delivers. The restaurant atmosphere is modern yet unpretentious. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The food is wonderfully elegant. Bolenius truly achieves what it sets out to do in celebrating and elevating plants in a way I have not ever experienced before. From the pickled onion and horseradish sorbet on a sausage-stuffed cone amuse bouche, to the strawberry and elderflower vinegar coulis with white bean ice cream dessert, every single bite was simply beautiful. Bolenius was the highlight of my time in Amsterdam.
Andrée R — Google review
The restaurant is located on the “Zuidas” of Amsterdam. This area has a lot of big office buildings and is not as lively when they are closed. There is enough payed parking in a short walk distance, no valet parking. The restaurant itself looks modern, serene. Staff is friendly and as soon as we were seated the first small bites arrived. Most of the menu is based around vegetables because the restaurant has its own garden at the busy Zuidas. We had a three course lunch menu with the first two courses being vegetables and the final course fish. I found the taste sometimes a bit blend. Missing not only seasoning but an exciting sauce to get a bit more flavor differences out of the vegs. The restaurant has a terrace and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The wine was great and they also have a juice menu. All in all for me the rating gets three stars because of the combination between the (personal) bit blend flavors and price. Definitely a nice experience and a dream for vegans! For me it just did not overwhelm as much as I hoped.
Martijn — Google review
Food was good, but a bit slow to arrive. We had to sit outside for the first few bites which made us cold. Not enough non-alcoholic mocktails on the menu.
Lukasz Z — Google review
We came here for lunch and it was very delicious. Besides main course they served entrees. I liked salt from Zeeland and that they have small garden near by where you can see how they grow vegetables for their kitchen. Waitress was friendly and explained everything, I liked they are polite and attentive. I liked they accept cash!! I didn’t like they served tap water and took 15 euro for it!!! It’s insane, the water is free everywhere in Amsterdam. I cannot give 5 stars and recommend it to my friends only because of it, I hope they will improve their service.
Polina L — Google review
The place is nicely decorated with minimalistic style. However, the overall experience leaves one ‘confused’, for a lack of a better word. The ingredients are certainly very fresh and you can tell lots of thought went into dishes but the taste is mediocre. I can’t say that I’d like to have any of the dishes again. Scallops, for example, were tasty, but the sauce that was paired with them didn’t go well - making the whole dish unable to live to its potential. The ice cream with liquorish was an interesting presentation but it just wasn’t tasty. The selection of wines and service was good. Overall, interesting experience but for this level of restaurant the dishes should be much more sharp.
Jovana — Google review
Service was excellent, food was great especially for vegetarians / vegans. Our wine pairing was amazing. High emphasis on sustainability on the menu + use of seasonal ingredients including from the garden adjacent to the restaurant.
Deb L — Google review
Fab lunch experience, starting by welcome and dishes descriptions. Job was a great server, but they were all good. Amuse bouche 2 star Michelin quality, the most fab homemade bread, just enough dramatics to make experience stand out, but not enough to turn gimmicky. Dishes were very good, the only one that didn't gel with me was the watermelon "steak", its texture too off-putting, but everything else, superb. Great coffee, cute petit fours. Definitely will be back. Private dining room fitting up to 18, also impressive. €59 lunch set menu, €115 for dinner. A le carte was also available.

Sadly I was a little disappointed with lunch at Bolenius. The food was beautifully presented and the service was really good but I had higher expectations with the taste of the dishes. My monkfish main was undercooked and tough which was a shame. We did really enjoy the selection of Dutch cheeses for dessert and that there was Dutch wine on the menu.

Yerba is a modern restaurant located near the Museum Quarter, offering creative seed-to-table dishes and brunch in a casual setting with outdoor dining. While not fully vegan, it is known for its plant-forward and seasonal menu featuring items like cauliflower charcoal ravioli, gnocchi with vegan chorizo crumb, and fennel ice cream. The restaurant has been recognized for its mostly vegan offerings but also provides options to add non-vegan elements such as organic egg or halloumi.
We had a great time here to celebrate my partner’s birthday! Food was excellent with great tastes and combinations. Also, service was super kind and our waiter took the time each time to introduce us our next plate. I read a few comments about the noise inside of the restaurant. It could only happen if you have noisy people around you as the tables are quite close to each other. Apart of this, nothing to highlight apart of a great experience from the start to the end. Thank you!

Excellent mostly vegan restaurant. The menu is entirely vegan but you can add meat or fish if desired. The wine pairing is also very good. The restaurant is on the noisy side - some extra acoustic design would be nice to have. The dishes are interesting combinations of flavours.

Yerba delivered one of the great dinners of my life. Imagine a concept restaurant where the food is fully realized. We ordered a four course (5 & 6 also available) at this plant forward restaurant with bio organic wine pairings. I loved the Salsify prepared 4 different ways: crispy fried, pickled, sautéed and made into a hummus. Incredibly tasty and paired with a white from Alsace. The chef-owner is friendly and helpful and our waiter was helpful and well-informed. Outstanding experience. Eat at Yerba, in the museum district - your senses will be glad that you treated them to dinner.

One of the few restaurants that pops up when you search for “vegan fine dining on Monday in Amsterdam”. But do not confuse it with a Fine Dine restaurant. Had reserved the place to take my wife for her birthday dinner. We opted for 6 course Chef’s menu. The food was very innovative and decent in taste.. course number 3 was outstanding. There were few things that we felt can be improved: 1. The dietary restrictions mentioned while making the online reservation might not have been noted properly and was asked again during our visit. 2. Ambience lights can be improved. It was quite dim and also the sitting couches could have been more comfortable. 3. The non alcoholic beverages was quite limited and made of packaged juices or soft drinks. I would expect at least to have fresh juices to be available given their plant based theme. The drink we ordered had such a bad aftertaste, felt like either it the pomegranate juice was quite old or was used from packaged boxes. Another drink we ordered was just given to us a empty glass with lime and can of soda. Not even served in the glass. So we had just returned it back. The staff and service was nice. We had a good experience

I truly hate to give poor reviews to restaurants I can tell are really putting in the effort so let me give you some of my credentials first. I’m a 10+ year veteran in the service industry. The other people I was dining with are also in fine dining (chefs and FOH). I’ve also been a vegetarian for over ten years. So I do have high expectations, I’ll admit that. But with a high price tag and good reviews who wouldn’t? We all did the full vegan tasting menu with wine pairings. They had an option for dessert and we had both chosen in our group. I don’t want to get into too much so I’ll just say this. Every single dish severely lack seasoning, it certainly had not been tasted by anyone who believes vegan cuisine can be just as delicious as “regular food.” Many dishes has sever texture issues as well. One dessert was genuinely inedible because the cake on the bottom had congealed to a texture that was impossible to cut through. Service was well timed but fairly stale as they just repeated the same descriptions to each table and really added no personal thoughts or emotion to it. The wine pairings were delightful and played a large role in saving our experience. They did seem to notice we weren’t having an exceptional time as they attempted a service recovery at the end by having the chef bring over an extra treat. We very much appreciated this gesture. Perhaps I had my expectations too high but for that price the wine and service recovery techniques were unfortunately not enough to keep me from feeling the need to share my negative experience. I do believe they have incredible potential there and truly hope we just went on an off day.

Definitely the best vegetarian restaurant I have ever been to and such a friendly staff. If you like meat you can even add some to a selection of dishes (without paying extra). All the dishes have really daring tastes and structures and you can make a journey through palettes from very soft and comforting to spicy and bitter. Excellent! They also offer a vegan cheese platter: wow! A shame that we ordered the four course menu. Next time more!!! One lesser item is the acoustic. If you are sitting opposite of each other you can hardly hear what you’re saying. Of course we were here on a busy Friday night but something should be done about that. Despite the sound problem: we will come again! Thanks.

Yerba is a high end restaurant at a mid-tier price with a relaxed vibe. The open kitchen let’s you see how the chefs prepare the amazing presentation and even better tasting food. The wine was perfectly paired with each dish, and the entire staff is super nice and so knowledgeable about the food and wine. Yerba is a must try!

Such an amazing experience at this restaurant. It was a tasting menu where you can pick 4, 5 or 6 courses. You have to choose at least one from the 'starter', 'main' and 'desert' categories (although not exactly specified as those categories) and then your other courses can be picked as you fancy. They are a plant based restaurant with a couple dishes able to have meat included which was a nice touch. The meat was amazing quality and sustainably sourced, so can't ask for better quality than that. The food all tasted incredible and would definitely recommend. Was not the biggest fan of the deserts but I'm not the biggest desert person. Great experience, would recommend to anyone who appreciates good quality food.

Café de Ceuvel is a bohemian, eco-conscious waterfront cafe located on the site of a former shipyard. The cafe is built from salvaged materials and aims to revamp contaminated land into green working spaces for creative businesses. The sustainable kitchen serves local beers and vegetarian food with many ingredients grown in an on-site aquaponics greenhouse. The menu features meat-free options such as seaweed burgers, lentil pate, and pizza baked in the outdoor oven.
MY NEW FAVORITE SPOT IN AMSTERDAM! I felt like Amsterdam center is full of touristic spots or super fancy restaurants. This was perfect - the location : secluded, hidden, beautiful atmosphere. Went for drinks out in the sun but also to dinner one evening and the food was super well thought out and so tasty. Will definately come back next time i’m in town ❤️‍🔥

It's a vegetarian restaurant( I'm not a vegetarian) prices are reasonable, portions are good size, and the dishes were interesting. I wish there was more flavor. Bitterbalens were gooey Don't expect a quick service, but everyone was nice and we got a table in a few minutes on Friday evening. Reservation are recommended

Super relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. Great to get away from the busy center. All vegan. The food was ok, small portions but innovative.

Great spot for a summer lunch or dinner. Super creative dishes. Prices are very reasonable given the craft put into it. There aren't many places like this one in Amsterdam.

Big Recommendation!! Must try: Bitterbalen, Lemon Ravioli, Elderlyflower Beer The place is super cute. We went there for Dinner wich is only served after 18:00 so we had time to try some of the beers and Snacks while having a beautiful view on the water. Later we eat Dinner there and it was really good. The prices are a bit higher compared to the size of the dishes. But thats just because the use only fresh local ingredients and make everything themselfes.

Arriving into my hotel at Amsterdam Noord on a Sunday evening, I went walking in search for something relaxed for food. Being summer, I didn’t realise how late it was. I arrived at Cafe de Ceuvel at around 9.20pm but they allowed me to get an order in. A vegetarian restaurant using locally sourced produce, the surroundings are hippie chic, but it works and feels comfortable and relaxing. What you need after a long Eurostar journey. The servers were impeccable, fun, and lively. I ordered the Lemon Pearl Barley Risotto, with green asparagus, yellow zucchini, with crispy oatmeal and a birch vinaigrette. The dish was so light and refreshing. The citrus was just the right level to renew my palette and went amazingly well with the glass of Zeebonk beer. I followed this up with a main course of Nettle Saag Paneer, with raita, zarda millet, and naan bread. Creamy and light, but filling and wholesome. What a dish to help me doze off to the land of Nod when I returned to my hotel. This place is perfect for a summers afternoon lunch! I plan to return.

While visiting Amsterdam, we found this amazing cafe that practices and supports sustainable living. The food is as delicious as it is beautiful! Our server was friendly and welcoming. We will be back!

Delicious food in a cool and relaxed atmosphere! Food is really great, good selection of drinks and the staff is very kind and welcoming. The outside area is large as well, surely a great spot in summer. You can also come and work from here until 18.00, there plenty of outlets at every table. Great place!

Maoz Vegan is a vegan restaurant with a Counter-serve falafel stand. The toppings and sauces are all customizable so that each meal is unique.
I decided to get a salad bowl with falafel, it's so nice that you get to pick what you want in your own salad. All the different dressings/ sauces was vegan. I felt overjoyed to finally have a problem with choosing. As a vegan you get used to maybe one or to options. But here everything was vegan and they had been since the 90's. The woman working there was so friendly and told me she had worked there for over 30 years. I told her that I took pics of the food and asked if I could get one of the front. It was no problem and she said she had never heard about Happy Cow. And that it's apps like that that helps they stay open so she appreciated that so much ❤️ PS. I also wanted to give a Google review in hope of more people eating vegan could see it.

Very nice falafel fast food center with friendly staffs. You can choose your own topping as much as you want. Also they have delicious fries available. Good value.

11/10 best falafel I’ve had in Amsterdam yet! Gorgeous soft pita. Lovely man. Great amount for price. And you get to choose your own salads (literally as much as you want).
Saskia H — Google review
Everything here is incredibly fresh and the falafel are made to order. The owner makes a variety of different salads and toppings that you are free to add to your pita afterwards. I ended up visiting this place twice. It's usually hard to find healthy food while traveling but this place is a hidden gem in Amsterdam..
Gregory W — Google review
For 7.5£ you can really make it worth it ! The mushroom was freshly cooled and added to the bread. Then you can add most of the toppings you want without charge. And then sauces!! This was delicious and had so much flavor I would definitely eat this again
Christia D — Google review
One of the best meals I had in Amsterdam. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, the fried aubergine was to die for and the managers special hot sauce was so incredible!
Yannet 8 — Google review
My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Forget everything you thought you knew about falafel, because Maoz Falafel in Amsterdam is an absolute revelation. While the Netherlands boasts a vibrant culinary scene—from Indonesian to Argentinian to Turkish——the real unsung hero is the humble falafel found at Maoz. This isn't just a meal; it's an experience in a pita. Maoz, a name that fittingly translates to "courage," (I think). is the brainchild of Nahman and Sima, who had the guts to reinvent the falafel stand. You get your perfectly toasted pita, stuffed with fresh lettuce and a few of their delicious falafels, and then the magic begins. You take control. This isn't a food line; it's your culinary playground. The All-You-Can-Stuff-It Falafel Experience The falafel itself is a work of art. It’s crispy on the outside, fluffy and green on the inside, with a beautiful blend of cilantro, garlic, and cumin that sings with every bite. I’d confidently rate it a 9/10, and as a food lover, that’s high praise. But the real joy is customizing your creation. The endless salad bar is where you make your masterpiece. I’m talking about piling your pita high with their tangy onion salsa—my personal favourite—followed by a crunchy vegetable salad, a zesty carrot salad, and a dollop of creamy coleslaw. You have to finish it off with a drizzle of their vibrant chili coriander sauce. The harmonious blend of flavours and textures is truly unforgettable. While I’ve always been a fan of their classic falafel pita, the eggplant version is a must-try. The smoky, tender eggplant perfectly complements the crispy falafel. I've been eating here since my parents discovered it in the '90s, and it’s a tradition that has stood the test of time. When someone says Maoz has the best falafel in town, they aren't kidding—they're just telling you the delicious truth.

So good! Really like that you can choose your own salad and sauces. Falafel was perfect and staff very friendly

Mastino V is a lively and vibrant eatery located on Bilderdijkstraat in Amsterdam. It prides itself as the first 100% gluten-free restaurant in the city, offering a menu filled with delicious vegan and gluten-free pizzas, salads, and desserts. The cozy setting exudes an electrifying atmosphere with the delightful aroma of freshly made pizzas. Customers rave about the thick, fluffy dough of the pizzas and appreciate that they are both gluten-free and vegan.
Love their pizzas, thick fluffy dough that was delicious!! The fact it's gluten free and vegan makes it even more amazing!!! The restaurant is small and cosy so book ahead if you need a table. Service was great, can be a bit slow to get the pizzas but they are made fresh so worth the wait. No need to double check your meal gluten free, wish I had time to go back even more, don't miss this place if you are in Amsterdam!!

We came without a reservation, and they had no table for us, but they said to us we can sit on at the bar and wait if someone who made a reservation don't show up we can get this table. Lucky. So after 10 minuets the table was ours. The variations of the pizzas are great. The pizza was fluffy but for me there could have been more different spices like oregano etc. But at all it was yummy! And the waiter was super kind.

What a treat it was to go to eat at Mastino V! To find vegan and gluten-free pizzas as well as such delicious vegan & Gf deserts too was a real bonus. The friendly welcome from our host was much appreciated and I would recommend this place. We paid between 17 and 18 euros each for our pizzas and they were freshly made and delicious, but the prices feel quite high ... cost wise (76 euros for three people) makes this an occasional special treat rather than a five star favourite.
Claire C — Google review
Pizzas are fantastic, nice flavor choices! Could be a 4 stars but we haven’t appreciated the service too much.. to long due to waiters talking too long with clients.
Ilaria F — Google review
Great tasting gluten free and vegan pizza! First place we’ve found that has nut free and soy free cheese options!! Great flavours, creamy cheese, and the best gluten free crust I’ve ever had. They were great at taking extra precautions and handling our nut allergy. Slightly pricey for the size but to us it was worth it. We had the Fridha and Diego as well as the New Vegan- both were fantastic.

The food is really good and the menu offers interesting option such as the Red Velvet (beetroot and avocado on a pizza) good desserts as well. The staff is really friendly but the interior design is not the best in the table area. Btw, almost entirely Vegan and Gluten Free!! Great stuff

You just can’t get GF pizza like this in Canada. They’ve cracked the secret code to making GF (and vegan!) pizza that looks and tastes BETTER than “normal” pizza. We were in awe. We aren’t vegan, but the owner encouraged us to try the vegan cheese. We got the “Frida & Diego” pizza. Cheese lover as I am... I was not expecting to enjoy the vegan cheese... but holy smokes. It was so good. The whole thing was SO good. Delicious. Soft. Chewy. Airy. Satisfying. We sat back in our chairs and just smiled at each other for a stupid amount of time. 😂 Thank you so much for the incredible experience! We’ll be back!

SAINT-JEAN Bakery is a must-visit spot known for its delectable cruffins, a delightful fusion of muffins and croissants filled with luscious creams like pistachio. The bakery, which has gained immense popularity on social media, offers an array of house-made vegan pastries that are hard to believe aren't dairy-based. Run by a friendly international team, the bakery also serves top-notch coffee.
I had a great experience here! The pastries were tasty and the coffee was absolutely delicious. I really appreciated that they took my allergies seriously — every pastry had almond in the dough, so I could only enjoy the croissant, but they were clear and careful about it, which I value a lot. Despite the limited options for me, everything I had was high quality, and I’d definitely recommend this spot to others.
Alsu — Google review
Never really been sold on vegan pastries, but this place got closer than I expected. Stopped in for a quick bite on a Friday morning. Came about an hour after opening and luckily didn’t hit a line. The shop itself was tiny (3 cramped tables), and I only grabbed a seat because a kind stranger offered to give his up. There’s a bigger deli with proper seating across the canal, but the pastry selection wasn’t the same. Pistachio Raisin Cruffin – Supposedly their pistachio cruffin is the signature, but on my visit it came in this pistachio-raisin detour. The interior was plush and moist. But as some locals pointed out, they no longer use pistachio cream, so pistachio barely whispered through. More like a dressed-up raisin bread than the nutty pastry I had in mind. Pain au Chocolat Hazelnut – Don’t see a lot of twists on pain au chocolat even in trendy bakeries, but this worked. Lamination was on point, crisp outside and structured inside, and instead of the usual baton of chocolate, it came with a hazelnut mousse filling and almond chunks on top. Missing that buttery perfume of a true viennoiserie, of course, but still satisfying. The mousse ran a tad mild at first, but hidden bits of chocolate inside pulled it back nicely. Salted Pistachio Cream Latte – Clearly targeted for American tourists (and judging by the crowd, it seemed to be working). The latte itself was a bit flat though. Much like their cruffin, the pistachio cream was too faint.
Jea K — Google review
I would say this bakery is a must visit for ANYONE - but particularly if you're a vegan. There's a different variety of pastries available every day and every one I tasted was crispy and flaky, with incredible flavour combinations. I ended up coming back a second time because it was too good! (Only con is very limited seating indoors, although you can get a drink at the pub opposite where there's more seating.)
Sunita R — Google review
This is a pastry shop with very limited seating. You’ll have to wait in line a bit, and they only serve croissants and coffee. It was good—not a “5-star amazing” experience, but an ordinary, nice taste. Instead of the classic, it might be better to try the pistachio or almond ones, at least you really get the flavor. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a stop, but it’s not a “wow” kind of place.
Mel D — Google review
A vegan bakery gem for pistachio lovers Saint-Jean is an incredible vegan bakery. I tried the pistachio cruffin, and as a true pistachio fan, I can honestly say it had the best pistachio filling I’ve ever tasted. The filling was rich, full of flavor, and there was plenty of it — no stingy portions here! The dough was just as impressive: perfectly baked, soft yet flaky. A must-visit spot if you love pastries, vegan or not.
Andreja — Google review
Fortunately, I went at a time when there was hardly any queue. The pistachio cruffin was definitely a highlight—flaky, crunchy, creamy and nutty. On the other hand, the yogurt berry toast was disappointing, The toast itself was quite dry, and the combination with the yogurt icing felt mismatched—the textures clashed, and the flavors didn’t come together as well as I’d hoped. That said, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which added a nice touch to the visit.
Christie — Google review
Honestly, this place has the best pastries in Amsterdam. Both the coffee and the buns are absolutely incredible - the dough literally melts in your mouth, and they’re packed with filling. MUST VISIT if you have a sweet tooth
Alexandra E — Google review
One of the Best Bakeries in Amsterdam! I stumbled upon this gem in Amsterdam and was pleasantly surprised to find two shops right across from each other — both with the same name, but each offering something different. One specializes in desserts, while the other focuses on savory items. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or salty, this place has you covered. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Nestled in a charming side street of the Pijp neighborhood in Amsterdam, Mooshka Vegan Soul Food has been delighting diners since 2016 with its vibrant and eclectic vegan menu. This inviting eatery showcases an array of plant-based dishes inspired by global flavors, including mouthwatering Ethiopian cuisine and Caribbean delights. Guests can indulge in unique offerings like their veganized Bitterballs, a twist on traditional Dutch meatballs that pairs perfectly with a refreshing beer.
Went here today for the first time and it won't be my last! The staff is really friendly, however some are a little inexperienced. I trust that will get better over time though. We had a tropical combo platter for a starter and after that we had the buffalo soldier and the no chicken and waffles and it was so amazing! The combo platter has amazing stuff on there, with really nice dips with flavours I haven't had anywhere else before. And OMG... the blue cheese dip was insanely good!! The ambiance at Mooshka is very cozy and stylish. I see the staff helps each other as well, a thing I noticed that was very sweet was that the cook came after the waitress to help serve the guests because the waitress couldn't hold all the plates. It's the little things I see, but also the great effort in the preparation of the meals that make this place great. I told my girlfriend it's like eating at your friends place that really likes to cook nice meals for their people. However I do think it's a little more expensive than other places, but when you see what you get for it, and realize how much is probably made from scratch you'll understand it's worth the price. Thanks for the nice experience and see you again some time! ❤️ Also the bathroom is pretty!

Tasty food! Perfect if you are craving for a full meal. We got share platters, the no- chicken strips with BBQ were delicious. We also got dessert- brownies and a duct cake which was amazing. Prices are good overall for 3 platters, dessert and drinks was €54.50 for two! A good value for money

The food here was great and some of the best we have ever had. The cocktails were well below average and wouldn't recommend, however we enjoyed the wine. Service was adequate as the bar was being managed by one server. Overall, we had a pleasant experience, and would recommend.

Incredible! So glad we found this place - lovely ambience, friendly staff, relaxing music and delicious food. We had the sharing platter for starters and would order it again anytime! The no chicken waffles were on point, and the Injera my partner had was a really special dish we never tried before. Fab Margaritas too! My non-vegan friend who came along loved it as well, while this is a vegan restaurant it's definitely a hit for meat-eaters too. We made a reservation which is probably advisable as it does get busy (unsurprisingly).

Amazing food and friendly service. Perfect first dinner in Amsterdam! Would recommend to vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters who just wanted to try a vegan restaurant. Cannot recommend highly enough, we were so surprised we were the only customers. Perhaps a tad expensive (2 main meals, 1 desert and 3 drinks came to €60), but definitely worth it

Cute lil vegan soul food spot with great vibes in de Pijp. I ordered the kapsalon with sweet potato fries....AMAZING! The avocado Fries are DELISH. The service was a lil on the slow side - it took quite a while to get the food ordered, but worth the wait. And if you like r&b/hip-hop music from the 90s / 00s...the vibes are 😎😁

Went here twice. Each time for a date night. I travel here from the North of Netherlands. And let me tell you, sitting on the train for 3h is worth it to try this delicious, homely, vegan food. I can say that the kap salon and the mac and cheese have not disappointed so far. The staff is also super kind and understanding in regard to reservations. Very comfortable seating options and also cool vibes. I can highly recommend this place.

Nice restaurant where to eat homemade food. The business is run by two people that take the orders, cook and serve you. It may take a bit to be served during pick hour but is is worth the wait. There is no toilet but you can use the one of the pub next door. I really enjoyed the vegan kapsalon.

Juice Brothers, located on Van Woustraat, is a recent favorite spot for many. The menu offers a variety of cold-pressed healthy juices, smoothies, yogurts, powerballs and salads. Their focus is on serving healthy food including raw salads and vegan dishes. A highlight of their offerings includes three different types of acai bowls and coconut yogurt with homemade granola.
I was looking for an acai bowl during my stay in Amsterdam. It was suggested as the best in town. And it truly was. The location is central, only less than 10 minutes from my hotel by walking. The staff were nice and friendly. The acai bowl was delicious I had to come twice to try more. The service was quick and excellent. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a great bowl.

Really good juices for a boost of greens and vitamins✨✨✨ so great to find healthy juices, I was quite desperate before finding them. Came back 3 days in a row. Only thing is the juice containers are in plastic but everything else is great, including their almond butter acaï bowl!
Mi L — Google review
Very disappointed. I visited a couple of weeks ago. After taking my Acai and coffee order, I decided to also purchase a juice (all to take away as there is no dine in option) When my order was ready I went to collect it and asked to purchase the juices I was holding and was told to wait until other people had been served, which was ridiculous as I had already waited 15 minutes for x2 Acai bowls and x2 coffees. The girl serving me was extremely rude, when making my first payment I left a tip (the eftpos machine brings up tip suggestions for staff) and they did not say thank you and did not even pack my take away bag ?! What was the tip for?? To put the order through ?? Anyway, I waited again and paid for the juice. I tried to not leave a tip again but the machine’s ’no tip button’ did not work and had to leave another tip… The actual acai bowl was not good, it was still frozen after a 20 minute walk back to the air bnb. There was no flavour and the consistency was absolutely terrible. I would love a refund the whole experience was awful.

I had an extremely frustrating visit at Juice Brothers recently. First, we entered hoping to rest on the bench inside while enjoying our drinks. Unfortunately, the bench was occupied by delivery boxes. When a staff member noticed us pointing at the bench and kindly offered to move the boxes, the cashier abruptly interrupted and declared that "This is a takeout-only store. Today's weather is nice, go have the drink outside." She then ordered his coworker to stop assisting us and prioritize stocking. Around an hour later, we walked past the same store and saw customers sitting on that very bench sipping drinks! This blatant double standard made us feel discriminated and disrespected. Secondly, the €9 juice in a large size was utterly underwhelming. Not only was it clearly **not freshly squeezed** (tasting very very diluted), but the portion size was shockingly small for the price. Paying premium prices for low-quality, pre-made beverages is simply unacceptable. Rude service with possible discrimination, exorbitant pricing, and subpar products. We strongly advise others to avoid this establishment unless they enjoy paying €9 for glorified fruity flavoured water while being treated like inconveniences.

If you’re looking for açai bowls, this place is for you. Best in all of Amsterdam where I was greeted by friendly staff members who use organic ingredients for the açai bowls. Also don’t sleep on their juices as they’re amazing too

I had a delicious Purple Rain (almond butter) Açaí bowl and it was spectacular! Tasty and hearty - really hit the spot on a hot 90 degree day. That said, the service was slow but I feel for the workers. The place was a sauna and everything was overheating. I don’t hold this against them but something to be aware if you’re in a rush.

This is second time at here. First time we came at Spring and second time at Autumn-November and again this time we tried Chefs plate and every season this menu is changing. And this time our satisfaction was less than first time. We found the menu less special. I liked first starter seaweed kimchi(not in the photos), shishito peppers are okay but not special, we couldn’t taste something interesting or tasty for gyozas. Sushi rolls are very good we liked sake tasting and the waiter was lovely

I’ll start by saying that I’m not vegan nor a vegetarian and I love sushi (the real deal one)…however, I was intrigued by this restaurant and wanted to try it. The place is simple and cosy, the atmosphere very relaxing. The chef is quite creative and everything I tried was delicious and surprising. I’m not used to several of those ingredients and flavours therefore it was an intriguing journey that I would recommend to anyone wanting to try something healthy and delicious, perhaps outside their comfort zone. The gentleman who served me was very knowledgeable, kind and very well mannered, it’s a pleasure to deal with kind people, the whole experience truly made my day. I’m giving them 5 stars because that’s all I can give not because it is what they deserve..that was a 10 star experience, well done guys, truly deserved!

We love the foods in wild and the moon. Everything is super tasty. However the service is very slow - two people are not enough and they are not working sufficiently. Today we had guests, and ordered 7drinks and 7bowls. The coffees and matchas were super watery, they did not bring bowl after preparing so it got melted- and they were not cautious about it. I understand the workload, but the manager should improve the service quality and speed. I can say two people are not enough for the demand and their attitude really harms the brand reputation. Please do something to improve the service, or change to self service system because this is such a lovely place and we want to come always. Thanks

Very tasty vegan options. I’m generally not a fan of vegan food but these were quite good; the burger was good, the super cheesy was a bit spicy but in a nice way. The tiramisu was also nice, not much different from the dairy one. The space is nicely organized and the staff is friendly; service is fast and organized.

Beautiful restaurant with lots vegan sweets and dishes. We tried the "Jacks Bowl" which was simple but good taste. The "Sixpack Bowl" had a delicious taste. But unfortunately the frozen banana was not blended all the way through, so chunks of frozen banana in the smoothie. Also the smoothie was a bit too cold and thick, but that's a personal preference:) I also wouldn't choose to add frozen fruits as a topping. But again that's personal I guess. Espresso was good and Almond Mocha also yummy! We were full but next time we would love to try some of the beautiful looking vegan desserts:)

Morris & Bella is a vegan-friendly restaurant in the Spaarndammerbuurt area of Amsterdam. The dining experience focuses on slow fine dining with a monthly-changing, seasonal menu featuring local Dutch produce. The restaurant offers a veg-heavy menu with the option to add meat or fish as a supplement.
IF YOU ARE VEGAN/PLANT BASED AND HAVE THE FUNDS THIS IS A MUST TRY EXPERIENCE ! I have never written a google review, but I felt compelled after the most extraordinary dining experience of my whole life. Ensure you read that it’s a slow dining experience before going, and brace yourself for the most wonderful 2.5 hrs of your life (this was for 6 courses as well as two extra taster courses free of charge!) The whole restaurant was ran just by Morris and Bella and all the love, creativity and talent was shown in every dish, its explanation and its taste. Despite being the fine dining experience, there was a no judge in the atmosphere, which as someone who has never been to fine dining restaurant and was wearing crocs just made this experience more special. I have never had food like it, and it’s opened my eyes to new food as someone who’s been vegan for 7 years. Bella, a big thank you to you for running after me after I left my hat and sunglasses too, she ran a whole block to make sure I didn’t leave them behind… It’s a MUST try, make sure to book in! Plenty of local sourced alcohol and n/a options. Thanks Bella and Morris for the best evening!

The most delicious food in Amsterdam with the most inviting and pleasant atmosphere. The owners really fill the place with love and care. A truly magical experience for a valentine’s dinner ❤️ Definitely coming back

Amazing food, I mean it. It's seriously up there in my top favourite restaurants experiences. The serving person was great and explained everything in detailed, I personally loved that you had to wait a little because you could really feel calm and digest and taste the food instead of (I often do this) chomp down and be done within minutes. Greatly recommend.

We loved our dinner at Morris & Bella, everything from the food to the atmosphere to the service was lovely. If you want to have an amazing vegan fine dining experience in a relaxed, cozy and welcoming environment, this is the place! Highly recommended:)

It was our first fully vegan tasting menu and we were impressed by every single dish - everything was delicious and the use of high quality ingredients was evident. We went for four courses, which was a good amount of food for us, leaving us feeling satisfied but not too full. The owner also created a very calm and welcoming atmosphere, making it overall a very enjoyable experience.

We went to Morris & Bella for my girlfriend’s birthday, and everything was amazing , especially the desserts! The wine pairing was incredible; the wines matched the dishes perfectly and were absolutely delicious. They were so welcoming and attentive, which made the whole evening really special. We had such a wonderful night!💕

Delicious vegan food in a very relaxed atmosphere. Bella knows her stuff and knows how to be a great host too. 💃 Morris uses very interesting and a few new ingredients and does magic with vegetables! It was a highly enjoyable experience I've already recommended to a few people. Would love to go again, but I'll have to save up first. 😇

Jacketz is a great spot for a satisfying lunch at an affordable price. They offer whole or half potatoes with a variety of toppings to create your own baked potato masterpiece. For those who can't decide, there are five pre-designed menus available. Customers have praised the excellent service and delicious food, emphasizing the generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. The cozy interior adds to the overall dining experience, making it a fantastic choice for a hearty meal that's different from the usual options.
Delicious baked potato dish.. It's huge for a person portion

We were completely baked when we got there near closing time. We thought we were a bit rude coming on that late, after all we were seven people. The waiter was very nice. We had no idea what they served there. The baked potato was huge and really savory. 10/10 would repeat

Amazing. I was dubious at first because I'm not a massive jacket patato fan (what can you really do with a spud?) but my partner convinced me and I'm so glad she did. The service and the food was 5* and I like the interior of the restaraunt aswell, great feel to it. How wrong I was about the humble potato.
Anthony — Google review
We have been to this place a few times and loved the delicious jacket potatoes they serve. However the last time we went there, we got seated outside, ordered some food alongside beers. After our beers were served to the table, we started waiting for our food to come while sipping our beers. After a long wait of 50 minutes without anybody checking on us even to see if we need a refill, my girlfriend went in to order another round of beers and figure why our food was so late. It turned out that the waitress did not pass our order to the kitchen at all! They offered preparing the food right away but we refused because it was already late. And when we complained to the waitress about her not checking on us twice in the time frame of 50 minutes, she rudely replied “everybody makes mistakes” and we did not get a proper apology at all. Finally we ended up paying for our beers and leaving the place, probably never to come again. It is sad to see that a place serves very good food going bad with ignorant and rude service.

Great atmosphere and food! I had the classic vegan bitterballen with a side of sweet potato fries. It was a lot to finish for one person. Super tasty - really enjoyed the balls! Heaps of outdoor and indoor seating (2 floors) with RnB music playing.

Food: we had the tasting platter that had a range of the starter/share dishes on it, chips and a burger. The tasting plate was quite good, the texture of all the dishes emulated their meat counterparts very well! The flavours were also good. The burgers were nice, but a little bland for me. The sauces that came with the tasting platter were good, but the blue one threw me off a bit - it’s a bit gimmicky. Overall the food was good and I enjoyed my dinner here. I would return for another meal and would recommend this to vegans. Service was good, the wait staff were attentive and worked efficiently. Environment was nice, the outdoor area has heating and the toilets were clean.

Loved this restaurant so much. The choice of vegan food was amazing and everything we ate tasted incredible. We got the black pink burger that came with their homemade burger sauce which eas delicious. We also got mac and cheese bites that came with a sauce. And we paid for additional sauces which included the pink garlic sauce. Would absolutely recommend trying here.
Rach M — Google review
I ordered the Caesar Salad as well as the cheese and bacon burger, with a bottle of water. Overall I was very happy with the meal. The Caesar Salad was very fresh and delicious. The sauce was very good also and I was happy to see something that used to be a favourite but is rarely in vegan restaurants. It complimented the burger perfectly. With the burger, the bun, the cheese, the sauce, and lettuce were very good. The bacon was good enough for the impact but I’ve tasted better. The burger patty was still very good but I’ve tasted better and I feel they should research how to make a better one. It’s not as good as the moving mountains one, and I feel any restaurant should be able to do better than a factory. But it was still and excellent meal and will be returning the next time I’m in Amsterdam. Downloading an app to order in somewhere you are not visiting regularly is however an inconvenience and don’t really feel it is going to enhance the experience ever. The do however take personal orders if you ask.
James E — Google review
First time at vjfb and was not disappointed! The flavor of the burger and the sauces is amazing! You really can't tell it's not meat. The atmosphere overall is good. The service is also good. You can see the menu online by scanning a qr code. It was somewhat crowded on a Tuesday evening so might be more crowded on the weekends.
Kim B — Google review
Simply amazing!!! Amsterdam in general is great for vegan food but this place might be one of the best. Food was extremely filling and even the non-vegan in our group was blown away. Staff are great, good location with outdoor seating for a sunny day. Their app they use for ordering seems a bit slow or awkward for the staff to use so hopefully they get that sorted or use a new system but I didn’t impact the meal - just seemed like the staff didn’t like just it. Overall if you’re vegan - 100% come here. If you’re not it’s worth a try ;)
Jonny P — Google review
Im very happy that this is finally a thing, so much of the junk food is non vegan so its amazing to have this option! I had the smash burger and fries. The fries were ok, nothing special, the burger also alright. I think, given the price, there is room for improvement for the burger, the patty could be bigger and the overall burger could be a bit crispier. The toppings-to-bread ration could be better, i found the brioche bun overwhelmed the other ingredients. Personally i prefer the plant based whopper from burger king over this burger and this one is more expensive. We went for lunch at 12 on a weekday, takeaway, did not have to queue, and were served very quickly. Great service.
Charel F — Google review
More reviews follow @thatvegangirlmarsha So we came and there was a queue (which is fine) but the staff didn't acknowledge us for 20 mins when the was over 8 tables empty outside all but 1 table being used downstairs and the top floor was completely empty!! I went in and asked bar staff if they are seating people because it didn't look like it. Within a few mins they sat nearly everyone in the queue. Once we ordered whoch was straight away as i didn't want to her to go without taking our order, it came out with 15 mins. No more staff came in so i have no clue why they didn't seat everyone. Wouldn't go back but food was decent.

MOAK Pancakes City Center is a popular spot in Amsterdam's Oud-West neighborhood, offering American-style pancakes that are a hit with both kids and adults. The menu features a variety of sweet and savory options, including the Mancake and Blue Magic Deluxe. The cozy atmosphere and stylish decor make it an enjoyable dining experience for all ages.
Spacious and clean restaurant. Our family of 3, including our toddler, thoroughly enjoyed our food. Their fresh pressed juice, watermelon and pineapple, was the best we tried so far in Amsterdam. The staff made a mistake with our billing, but quickly rectified it and gave us a discount on our drinks. We appreciate their professionalism.
Kelly T — Google review
I have to say, as much as people rave about the pancakes, it was the juice that really stole the show for me. I ordered the pineapple juice, and it tasted like it had been freshly squeezed straight from the fruit—refreshing, vibrant, and full of flavor. As for the Mancake, it was just okay—not bad, but nothing to write home about. What did take us by surprise, though, was the shredded chicken. It was incredibly tender and seasoned just right—definitely a highlight of the meal. If you’re planning to drop by, I’d recommend giving that a try. They don’t accept split bill if you come with several friends. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the whole place has a laid-back, cozy vibe that made the experience even better. All in all, a lovely spot with a few standout items on the menu!
Leah Z — Google review
I would definitely recommend coming for a brunch between friends for the salted pancakes / toast. However I couldn’t finish the sweet pancakes we took 2 differents kinds and the pancake have a kind of weird taste, the chocolate sauce also had a very specific taste that I didn’t quite like. The fruit juice were good (except the watermelon one) Unfortunately we could not finish them, not even half of them

Visited Moak pancakes for brunch and really enjoyed their fluffy pancakes and their wide selection of delicious brunch options. I had ordered the pink lady, which was perfectly complemented with the salmon and créme fraîche and really enjoyed the mix of savoury and sweet flavours. Their watermelon juice was great and I liked that it was served in a unique way. The service was great and accommodating and we received our food pretty quickly after ordering, which was great. Would highly recommend this place for brunch

It is what it is advertised. Pancake in both Savory and sweet. We love The Weekend - the amount of maple syrup is just enough that doesn’t overpower the cheese. They also do non diary version. The staff is very friendly and treat us to us (adults) a pure ginger shot each as appetiser on the house - it’s serious good stuff this! The house special pistachios ice cream is top notch. We all (the including kids) came out feeling very satisfied indeed! On top of cuisine the atmosphere is great. They play vinyl records in different genre music too. Would recommend.

The pancakes were good overall, I just missed the contrast between sweet and salty, so I added a bit of maple syrup to my salmon pancake. The watermelon juice was also really nice. We also asked for the ginger shot and it was INTENSE, recommend o my when feeling sick 😳

If you're on the hunt for a vibrant lunch brimming with Eastern Mediterranean flavors, NENI Amsterdam is a must-visit. Nestled in a former Citroen garage near the Olympic Stadium, this restaurant showcases Balagan-style cuisine, which embraces delightful chaos. The menu features an array of shared mezze and quick deli bites like freshly baked focaccia, refreshing salads, and savory sabich sandwiches.
Visited Neni for Fathersday and had a great brunch with my dad and partner. Our waitress from Torino, Italy (sorry I forgot your name!) was so lovely, welcoming and full of smiles. She made us feel very comfortable and took good care of us. The dishes as always we're very tasty and we took home 3 breads to enjoy some more at home. Will return soon!
E.S. B — Google review
Neni is a family owned business which offers a rich amount of flavors inspired by Israeli, Lebanese and broader Mediterranean culinary traditions. We loved all the colorful plates that we got put on the table :) The menu empathizes shared dining, so you can try different things, but in that case I do find the dishes slightly overpriced. We had the Levant plate, sea bream and grilled cauliflower which were tasteful for sure, but I find 34 euros for the Levant plate for example quite expensive, which consisted of mostly humus.. The location is beautiful and well curated, consisting of industrial elements with warm Mediterranean touches. There are lots of plants which I loved! And there is an open kitchen which serves as the heart of the restaurant, which I as well liked. Their cocktail bar serves a lot of different cocktails, with their specialization being citrus-infused cocktails. Plus they also have their own bakery during the day, serving their own sourdough breads. I love all that this place has to offer!

Went to this brunch spot on a rainy Tuesday morning. We made reservations, but there were plenty of open tables when we arrived. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I had the Turks mom and it was so delicious. Portion size was good and the poached eggs were perfect. I highly recommend this dish.

Factory Girl Brunch: A Flavorful Delight My recent brunch experience at Factory Girl was nothing short of exceptional. The Shakshuka with Sausage was a masterpiece, with the eggs cooked to perfection and the flavors blending harmoniously. The turmeric latte was a delightful and warming beverage, and the dessert, though small, was a sweet and satisfying ending to the meal. But what truly set Factory Girl apart was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was taken care of. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings.

Delicious menu full of Middle Eastern flavors. The best eggs I've had for breakfast in Amsterdam in a long time. The coffee was also good, but next time I'll try the matcha. Even though we were already full, we ordered a few dessert spoons and we definitely didn't regret it... they were delicious too! They have gluten-free options and they are pet friendly. I can't wait to go back!

Nice cafe within 550m of the main museums, so location is quite convenient! We came here on a Saturday and there were a few tables available to seat, so we could pick. There are seats available outside too, but the street is currently having some building work done so I don’t think it’s the best option at the moment. We ordered grumpy potato and Turks dad (vegan) it was delicious! Salad could do with some more dressing and sourdough it’s not outstanding (If being picky) but all in all it was delicious, hummus was great, food seems nutritionally good and healthy which we enjoyed! Coffee was great too. And waitstaff very friendly. We didn’t make it to dessert as we were too full already but there’s some options too. I recommend

Wow. I was absolutely blown away by the excellent food here. The staff were exceptional, making an effort to take my last minute booking, being incredibly attentive to our every need and are so friendly. The food was next level, and definitely in my top 3 vegan restaurants world-wide. My carnivour friends were both blown away by the depth and breadth of flavours. We first went in 2012 when it was just a vegetarian supper club, it has now evolved into a vegan restaurant. The owns take so much pride in what the do. Our server thus even was extremely knowledgeable and showed the passion for the food and what the two owners cook. This meal is meant to be enjoyed not rushed, you won’t go away hungry. Book early as it’s a full night of good food and passion.
Daniel B — Google review
The food is absolutely delicious here; really one of the best vegan food I had in Amsterdam. The interior is also very cozy and unique. However, we weren't quite able to enjoy the place as service was extremely lacking. We got our soup in half an hour, but then had to wait a full hour for the second (very small) course. We tried to signal one of the waiters repeatedly, but despite them coming in and out of the kitchen for 5 times they didn't even so much as glance around the area. I had to walk up to the kitchen to ask them to please pay attention to the tables in the back. The speed of service definitely picked up after that, but the waiters seemed very awkward and stiff after that. We really did enjoy the quality of the food (compliments to the chef!), but feeling extremely hungry for 2 hours until the main course made it almost impossible to enjoy the experience. The awkward service made us leave sooner than we would've liked. We feel like service need to improve in order to match the price and high quality of food. Hopefully management will be able to resolve this in the future.
Yin Y — Google review
We tried the four courses menu. The food is tasty and some are even fancy looking. The ravioli is amazing and the dessert as well. But the main was a bit disappointing, the roasted green onion is overdone and the potatoes are not soft enough. They have many choices for the boozes but not many non- alcoholic specialty drinks. Overall still a good experience if you are a vegan and look for a proper sit down dinner.

Absolutely stunning food! The atmosphere is lovely and the place looks nice and inviting. The staff is very friendly and all courses came with a pleasant and appetising description. Really nice place. The staff is Lovely and we got a table right away even though we did not book. The savory pancakes was really nice. I had the Gyros. Loved it. The sweet pancakes are nice but too many flavours for our taste. Also much harder to eat. But we definetly recommend the place. I loved the milky tea with bubbles. It was my first bubble tea and I love the tapioca bubbles.

I loved this place! What an interesting menu and idea, executed deliciously. If you have someone with you, split the dishes into one savory stack and a sweet stack—you won’t regret it. We also ordered 2 bubble teas; these were not sweet at all and didn’t have much flavour. On the second occasion, I wanted to try something different and ordered the berry pancakes. These were disappointing as it was smothered in the berry coulis. Hence, ruining the soft fluffy texture of the pancake. I had one out of three. I also ordered the berry iced tea and a cappuccino. The coffee was amazing. However the iced tea was very watery - it tasted like water! Despite the colour being very promising. My friend opted for the vegan meat pancakes - I am unsure of the name? But she said it was scrumptious and filling. Overall, the vegan meat pancakes and banana pancakes are delicious! I’d stay away from the berry ones if you like your pancakes fluffy! Or ask for the sauce on the side or they will dump a lot on! Id stick with coffee or water as the bubble tea and iced teas were flavourless.

The food is amazing, even though I’m not vegan, it doesn’t taste vegan. Definitely a must try for everybody. I didn’t like the matcha latte, because it tastes a bit weird (soy flavor). The Turkish apple tea is just a normal apple tea and not really Turkish. Additionally you have to make a reservation, otherwise you don’t get a table or have a small chance to sit outside. But since the food is amazing, 4 stars for Mr. stacks.

This is my favourite place in Amsterdam! They have veryyyy delicious food, big pancakes, original menu and tasty bubble tea. Vegetarian sausages in English breakfast and burger are amazing! I like they think about environment and use steel steak. I also like they take cash! Personnel is very friendly!

Restaurant
MaozFalafel is a popular vegetarian chain that originated in Amsterdam in 1991 and has since expanded globally. The restaurant offers counter-serve falafel with a variety of self-serve toppings, making it a favorite spot for vegetarians and vegans. In addition to their signature falafel, MaozFalafel also serves fries, mushroom shawarma, and fried aubergines.
Great for a quick and healthy bite in the heart of amsterdam. I always chose the falafel pita, which comes with 5 falafels and which one can refill for free twice at the counter with fresh vegetables, sauces and other toppings of your choice. Only complaint is that i find some of the toppings a bit too salty. The price is very affordable for amsterdam and its a great value for a lunch snack.
Charel F — Google review
Fully vegan falafel price. Nice price with the meal and friendly staff! Lots of extras and great sauces. Was very full!
Jack L — Google review
Test is good but wouldn’t say it worth the price, even tho not everyone you wound add included in the price
Abdalla B — Google review
Extraordinary fries! My son is a falafel aficionado and said these were the best ever. It’s fun to make your salad or stuff your pita with extras. Simple little place with attentive service. Unfortunately I didn’t think of taking photos because my hands were full of yummy food. 😂.
Jonathan S — Google review
Simple and delicious. We had Fries with spicy mayo and curry sauces
Ajwad A — Google review
Was it with even a hint of irony that Maoz sold me, for the lofty price of €7.50 (having told me the smaller version was unavailable) simply two slices of bread with three falafel and a few limp salad leaves, without any of the accoutrements? Left me wanting more, not in a good way
Antonia — Google review
Extremely rude Staff!! First of all, the food was nice. BUT the guy who served us was extremely rude. I ordered the meal deal (includes pita, fries & drink) with shoarma, he asked what we wanted to drink and then I paid. I was surprised by the price. Then I asked him "hadn't I ordered the meal deal?" And he replied to me in a very angry way that it wasn't possible to get the meal deal with shoarma, only with pita." I said okay, but why didn't he tell me that when I ordered. He just looked at me very angry and wouldn't talk to me anymore. I'm talking about that guy with the very long beard wearing a turban.
Ayla — Google review
Excellent falafel, salad selection and crispy chips. While the service could do with a little more love, they managed to convert my picky eater into a falafel fan – a milestone for us!

Vleesch Noch Visch, located on Schaepmanstraat in Amsterdam, is a popular vegetarian street food bar and food truck known for serving some of the best gyros in the area. Their creative menu features a variety of gyro options made with high-quality vegetarian ingredients and garnished with homemade tzatziki sauce and fresh vegetables. Despite being a vegetarian eatery, even non-vegetarians have been pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of their gyros.
One of the most delicious vegan style gyros I have ever had and I am Greek so I can have an opinion 😊. I am not vegan but this was extremely tasty 😋. Yummy! Fresh ingredients, soya made gyros in a very cute environment. The Pommes 🍟 are also tasty. The only thing is that is a bit expensive but it’s worth.

Absolutely delicious! Highly recommended - tasty food, quick service, friendly staff. I ordered a takeaway but it is a really nice atmosphere, with outside tables under trees. Can’t wait to order again!
Kristi E — Google review
Loveliest wraps ever! Staff is always friendly and very quick. And how about that time when i happened to leave my phone behind on a table outside? They retrieved it for me and kept it safe. How nice is that?! ❤️And to sit outside under the trees and enjoy the food is also quite extraordinarily nice. I eat here often and I do recommend them warmly🌞

It was on my list for a long time and what an amazing experience! I went for de Gado one and I was happy with my choice! The portion is amazing and it is super tasty! I can really recommend it. I will be back to try the other ones too! Tip: check if people are waiting for preordered or just waiting in line to give the order!

Mr. Blou I Love You is a popular vegan street food kiosk in Amsterdam, founded by former Michelin chef Faycal Souid. The menu features organic offerings such as coffee from LOT61, banana bread, smoothies, salad bowls, and wraps with top-notch falafel. The kiosk is known for its delicious and healthy options like guacamole, avocado salads, and nourishing smoothies.
Nice cappuccino here. And thanks for the coat, Mr. Blue, it was sunny with a nasty cold wind, I was dressed a bit too lightly. And yes, what are reviews like this worth? Often a judgment is made on the basis of one issue. Well for now, I like someone like Blue who is nice and direct, I don't just expect helpfulness and a constant smile.
WILL B — Google review
We really enjoyed our falafel wrap. The falafel was crunchy and flavorful. I wish the cucumber salad also had some seasoning in it. There were bites which you only had the cucumber salad and it was kind of bland. Unfortunately, for us it’s a bit too pricy to pay €10 for a wrap. We were happy that we tried but we don’t think we will come back.
Nhi D — Google review
If I were to say we waited for a long time, it would be an understatement. We ordered 2 wraps and it took like 40 mins to actually get the… but they were amazing. Was it worth the wait? Not sure. Also the owner was not polite. While ordering said he is busy chatting and made us wait.
Maks Ł — Google review
He didn't have some options that we want it on the menu, but the kindness of the owner convinced us to take other things. All good products and fresh ingredients, and he also gave us free melon slices just because we are there. Very nice place

I’ve never had such good vegan food in my life! Can only recommend the falafel wrap, I am still dreaming of it 🥵 it really is the best falafel in town! Also, the hospitality was to die for! Restaurant
Situated in Amsterdam's Daniel Stalpertstraat, The Avocado Show is a hotspot for avocado enthusiasts. This trendy café boasts an Instagram-worthy menu featuring the iconic Avo Rose, a beautifully crafted avocado rose served on toast. The restaurant's interior is just as vibrant as its dishes, with pink velvet couches and green walls creating a picturesque setting for snapping photos of colorful meals.
Went to this place for brunch. The restaurant is nicely located near the city center. we didn't have a reservation but they were still able to sit us (outside next to the canal with great view). Really enjoyed the food, especially the poke bowl.
Ning L — Google review
When I entered this restaurant, it was a bit early for dinner, so there were only a few people. I told the waitress, "I made a reservation," to avoid being a no-show. However, she didn't understand what I was saying and asked me to repeat it more than five times. Honestly, my English isn't perfect, but I've never had any problems with simple conversations like "I made a reservation" during my time as a student in Europe. I don't have a strong accent either. She even loudly called her colleague to help her understand what I was saying. Whether it was intentional or not, I felt offended and ashamed. She said sorry after this happening and asked for my name but didn't actually check it. After that, I felt she was ignoring me on purpose. Even though she was busy, she didn't come over despite making several eye contacts with me until I directly called her over, and didn't listen what I was saying. I'm a Asian dining alone, and not sure if this was racial discrimination. I'll leave that interpretation up to you, the reader of this review. What is clear is that this experience completely ruined my good mood, and the food was neither delicious nor unique given its reputation and price. It seems like the restaurant is probably only famous because of its concept and good pictures.

The Avocado Show ios all about avocados- for sure the pancakes are sometimes else! Amazing and delicious- also a vegan opinion. In general some vegan options that are really tasty. Seats are available at the river outside & cool look inside of the restaurant.

Can’t understand why this place is so popular. There were no free tables. Im little Shocked. Cutlery and dishes were so dirty. I asked waitress to change them. She brings worst for second time 😀😀😀🤦🏻‍♀️ poached eggs was overcooked. All other things you can see by your self in photos 🥺🥺 don’t go there
Marika K — Google review
Wow, look at those pictures... beautiful, right? Absolutely, but unfortunately, the flavors did not meet that same level. The ingredients were all super fresh and obviously put together with care. The burger was half the size I was expecting, though tasty. Service was timely, though managed from your phone on their application. The staff was happy to guide us through the process.
Bryan H — Google review
We were able to eat here on a Friday afternoon without reservation. We enjoyed their terrace near by the canal and our waitress was really nice and attentive. The food was colourful and the platting was beautiful! It was tasty and I’m really happy with the quality/price ratio.
Adriana F — Google review
The Avocado Show has an amazing menu, super healthy and tasty food. Especially for vegetarians and even vegans, but also for omnivores 🦖 The atmosphere is very pleasant, just don't expect a fancy romantic restaurant as it is a modern, American diner style which is absolutely fun.

Benji's Oost is a unique cafe in Amsterdam that offers an indoor jungle experience with its urban decor and abundance of plants. The all-day breakfast and brunch spot provides a cozy atmosphere, whether you choose to relax on the beautiful terrace or cozy up inside when it's rainy. The cafe also features a Bali-inspired menu and serves delicious coffee from a local roastery.
The place has a really chill and welcoming vibe, which makes it great for hanging out. But what really stood out was the food — it was perfect. Everything was super flavorful and clearly made with care. Definitely a spot worth coming back to
Navya B — Google review
Went to Benji’s with two friends and had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Lately I’ve noticed that the more popular spots tend to have higher prices, but I get it, it’s an expensive city. Still, worth it for the quality and the vibe
María B — Google review
Good spot for breakfast/brunch. I got the ceaser toast, found the bread to be rock solid and no butter, chicken was pre cooked a heated up lewkwarm. Dish looked great but lacked in flavour and taste. Fresh orange juice was great and staff were lovely
Maddie S — Google review
Found this place on google maps as it was close to our hotel (a 2 min walk). Really great seating arrangement and friendly, helpful staff, especially when it came to allergies. Food and coffee was delicious and I will definitely be back soon.
Hareeka M — Google review
Benji’s in Amsterdam is a nice little spot with a cool vibe, but honestly not really worth all the hype. I ordered a matcha and the egg brioche sandwich. The food was ok, nothing bad but also nothing that really stood out. I ended up walking 45 minutes to get there, which made it feel a bit underwhelming in the end. That being said, if you’re in the neighborhood it’s definitely worth checking out once. The place has a nice atmosphere and it seems like a good hangout spot, especially if you live close by. But if you’re planning to travel far just for it, I’d probably say skip it ; there are plenty of other cafés in Amsterdam that are just as good if not better.

Nestled in the heart of Amsterdam, Little Plant Pantry stands out as the city's sole organic vegan zero-waste shop. This charming establishment is not just a grocery store; it also features a delightful café where you can savor freshly prepared meals. The pantry offers an impressive selection of bulk items, including lentils, flour, and even eco-friendly cleaning products—all without packaging!
The most amazing place ever! We had such a lovely experience here. The staff were so friendly and they made us feel so welcome. The cafe is so cosy and homely. We were even treated to a visit from an adorable cat. The food is just amazing and you can watch the chef making it fresh. Honestly, you simply can’t visit Amsterdam without going here.

This store truly inspired me! I’m a university student from Asia, studying biological science and engineering. In my classes, I’ve learned a lot about bio-packaging, so when I stumbled upon this store, I was immediately drawn in. I love that this store embraces a zero-waste philosophy and promotes eco-friendly values. It was amazing to see how passionate the owner is about protecting the planet. I really hope this place becomes more well-known and attracts many customers. If you care about sustainability, I highly recommend checking it out!

The best vegan & zero waste store I ever came across! Delicious cakes & cookies, well selected ingredients! All my love & gratitude to the owners!

If you care about environment and about yourself you cannot miss this place! Everything can be bought loose. No packaging. You can bring your jars, bottles from home but the owner is very kind and has some spare for free there. From soap bars for hands and hair to dishwashing up liquid per kg! Everything is organic, many things are gluten free and no refined sugar! I had a peanut butter cookie it was delicious. I will try more next time. Rice, flour of any kind , nuts, oil and vinegar you can buy per weight so you buy what you use with zero waste! This will be my favourite shop ever. Please promote this shop to help the planet!!!🍀🍀🍀🍀
