Going for a walk early in the morning feels refreshing and leisurely. The display boards might be more visible if it were a bit darker… but I still prefer the time when daylight is just beginning to break. Even in the early morning, there are a variety of food options like hot dogs and corn dogs.

We finally visited the iconic Times Square and whatever I had heard before about this is not an exaggeration. The vibe, atmosphere and the electronic billboards make this place a very happening one. Lots of shops and eateries near this place. A great crowd every time you visit. But at night after sunset this place becomes more awesome. Must visit and multiple visits are my recommendation.

I love and hate this area at the same time but mostly I love it because the shows are nearby and you can get reduced prices if you wait online and so many food, places and historical places and even the US armed horses recruiting services center and you should definitely walk this area and not drive because you will be stuck in traffic During the day. Times Square is always an incredible place to be. There’s an energy there that you really can’t find anywhere else. From the street art and performers to the endless flow of people from all over the world, it feels alive every hour of the day. Visiting during the day and coming back at night gives you two completely different experiences. Daytime is vibrant and busy, while nighttime transforms the whole area with bright lights, massive screens, and a unique atmosphere you have to see for yourself. It’s definitely a must-visit spot every time I’m in the city.

I paid an extra $3.00 for double meat, expecting a hearty sandwich like the ones promoted in your commercials and ads. Instead, I received what looked like a regular portion. When I questioned the employee cutting my sandwich, asking if it was double meat, she replied, “Yes, I read double meat.” That response didn’t answer my actual concern. I wasn’t questioning her ability to read. I was asking whether the portion she gave me reflected what I paid for. This experience felt dismissive and unprofessional. I’m disappointed not just with the portion size but with the lack of care and accountability shown by your staff. As a paying customer, I expected better.

Came for the breakfast combo, the lady was very rude as all the other reviews say but i think my experience tops it. She put pickles on my sandwich and i told her i didn’t want them so she took them off and instead of trashing them she put them back into the batch, cross contamination??!? The sandwich itself was dry and hard because she overheated it, avoid the coffee. Overall the worst subway experience i have had. You have better luck at the subway at irving

Not at all to the point. Please train employees on the portions and customers' requests. And definitely the quality of the food as well. I asked for Italian herb and cheese. The server gave me regular bread i had to confront before it was prepared. I asked again if there were 3 pieces of eggs or 4 in a foot long, and she said only not more. And then comes the sauce as i didn't add any vegetables after that. I asked for buffalo and gave me a sweet barbecue. And all that with a straight and annoyed as if i should be there to order this. Please improve service. I would also ask Subway to have a branch checking.

The single worker there has the NASTIEST ATTITUDE. I’ve been there Twice and this is my LAST TIME! First time I had to firmly speak to the gentleman with how he was handling my food. He left an extremely nasty taste in my mouth. I didn’t hold it against him because I feel like it’s okay to be corrected and learn from said mistakes. However, today I came in and he threw a cookie at a BLACK Man who was trying to order his meal. That right there was just nasty! He then turn to me as if I was going to reason with him and his foolish ways! No where sir! I’m not with the foolishness. People TRAIN your people!!!!!!

Newark Airport is a beautiful and massive airport, maybe even better than JK. The structure is modern, clean, and well organized, which makes the whole travel experience very smooth. One of the things that impressed me the most is how easy it is to get transportation: whether it’s Uber, private car, or other services, everything is simple and convenient. Definitely a great option when flying to or from the New York area!

Definitely one of the best airports I have been through in the United States. I was flying in from DC with a connection onward to Phoenix and it was a great experience. When connecting between terminals, there are shuttle buses that run airside. I came in at gate C94 and had slightly over 2 hours for my connection at gate A29. In the center of concourse A, it is massive. The ceilings are high, the windows are huge, and there are plenty of shopping and dining options. It's comparable to the Great Hall area of the Tom Bradley terminal at LAX. And it's also great for aviation enthusiasts because there are lots of good spots to stand by the large windows and photograph and watch planes coming and going. Overall Newark EWR is a great airport and is very easy to navigate with lots of good signage and if you're not sure, staff are very helpful with directing people where they need to go.

Recently I visited the airport and had wonderful experiences. The flight landed at terminal B, we took the AirTrain and shuttle to reach out to Terminal A. It's a clean and tranquil airport. Spending around 4 hrs transition time ⏲️ was not boring at all. Baggage collection, rechecking the luggage, passing the security and custom/immigration checks, all were smooth. You can take Canada ✈️ via USA , it will be convenient. Although I had heard via US there may be some complications but we had no issues, nothing to complain and had great experience.

EWR has honestly been my second home these past few years. I’ve flown in and out of Newark Liberty so much I could walk the terminals in my sleep. It’s always busy, but it moves — TSA lines usually run smooth and there are plenty of food spots once you’re through security. I use CLEAR at EWR and it’s always fast and reliable. Even when I’m traveling with my kids, getting through the airport stays easy. I’ve had a couple delays here, but they handled it every time — vouchers, rebooking, the works. And I’m a red-eye girl, so those late-night flights through Newark always hit perfect. Overall, a solid, reliable airport that keeps travel smooth.

This time check in was the smoothest process ever at Newark Airport. We did most of the process at home but still, the rest of the process took us about 15 minutes. It had never happened before. Maybe they figured out the process. Hope it will stay this way. The Christmas decorations was a big plus too.

The terminals are a little confusing, but after a bit of wandering around you usually find what you’re looking for. The food options are okay—nothing amazing, nothing terrible. You can get a sandwich or a coffee that tastes roughly like coffee, and that’s pretty much all you need before a flight anyway. Security lines can be long, or sometimes surprisingly short. It’s kind of a coin toss.

​The Experiment: I deliberately chose to fly out of EWR specifically to experience firsthand if the "bad reputation" was true. Unfortunately, it lived up to the negative hype. ​The Commute (The "Hassle"): Getting to the gate is a multi-leg workout. I took the train to the Airport Station, but that doesn't get you to the terminal. You then have to transfer (often involving a shuttle or the AirTrain) just to reach the actual check-in area. It involves a lot of hustle and lugging bags around; it is far from a seamless transfer. ​Security Experience: The friction continued at the checkpoint. The TSA agents here were not nice, displaying an unfriendly and unprofessional demeanor. On top of the attitude, the processing was slow, adding unnecessary stress to the departure process. ​Verdict: If you have a choice between NYC area airports, keep the "hustle factor" in mind here. It is not a relaxing way to start a trip. ​Note for your followers: If you were flying out of the new Terminal A, that "shuttle" leg is a known pain point because the AirTrain doesn't connect directly to it!

TERMINAL B I passed thru LGA terminal B twice last week on my way to a funeral. This terminal is very new and clean. Passing thru TSA was very easy and inside B there are lots of food, drink and shops to entice you. I tried Juniors, Zaros and Irving plus a couple more for water. My overall experience was positive. Lots of seating all around. However, I did find that charging places were in short supply so it was difficult to fine one, especially when the airport is busy. I used Lyft to get back home and the signage in the airport directing me to the right spot was very good.

No direct train connections, so you’ll rely on buses, shuttles, or rental cars. Terminals feel a bit mix-and-match, with lounge options that vary, but convenience often wins out if you need quick access to the city.

Comfortable to spend a night. There is a Warm floor with carpet in Terminal B floor 2 with carousel. Many guards and video cams, secured place. Very clean everywhere. The greatest toilets with best technology and sanitary equipment. Beautiful mild lounge spots in floor 3. Laguardia aeroporto is really great. Ps... . . .. These illegal taxi uber bakers are annoying. Please kick them off from inner zone. #cerebrolog was sleeping here ))))

After the last renovation, this airport looks spectacular. It is the best looking airport in thr tri-state. Best thing is, it is very easy to get to and not chaotic like John F. Kennedy and Newark Airports. Free shuttle Q70 also takes you to the LaGuardia Airport within 15 minutes. Going through the security was a breeze as well. Highly recommended 😎👍

LaGuardia has become my go-to airport when flying in and out of NYC—no more JFK or EWR for me! The rebuild is absolutely stunning, and the attention to detail makes this a truly beautiful airport. TSA PreCheck was a breeze with no wait, and I had time to grab a few things before my flight. Delta has really made its mark here—the design is modern, spacious, and filled with large windows that flood the terminals with natural light. Everything feels clean, organized, and easy to navigate. It honestly feels more like a world-class hub than the “old LGA” people used to complain about. Looking forward to my next trip through here—LaGuardia has completely won me over!

This is a newly renovated middle size airport. Well thought out and convenient. The usual drawbacks of NYC airports - very high prices for parking and food. The food at the local airport parlors is usually low quality and exuberantly expensive. This has to change asap. Overall, LaGuardia is a pleasant airport with clean bathrooms, wide passways, and even relaxation terraces.

LaGuardia has really stepped up its game. The layout and design feel clean, modern, and surprisingly intuitive—you can actually get where you need to go without feeling like you’re navigating a maze. I also love how many food and shopping options there are now. Whether you want a quick bite, something a little nicer, or just a place to browse while you wait, there’s genuinely a lot to choose from. Overall, it’s become a much more pleasant airport experience than it used to be.

I was involved in an accident on April 19 and have been trying to get in contact with the company since April 20. The cab driver never asked if I was OK nor does it appear that he even reported it.

The cabs were always ready to serve us in NY.

Some of the 2012 Camrys are starting to show their age, otherwise, a good safe ride to LGA.

Sorry guys, but each NYC cabby, was not nearly as good as the Uber drivers. Uber was far more cheaper to travel as well.

A 10 minute drive cost us over $30 but the cabby was friendly. It's just the price you pay if you don't want to walk or take the subway.

Iconic walk with stunning skyline views The Brooklyn Bridge is a must-visit for breathtaking views of Manhattan. A great way to experience it is to take the ferry from Pier 11 to DUMBO and then walk back across the bridge toward Manhattan, which provides an amazing perspective of the skyline. The bridge is very close to downtown Manhattan, easily accessible, and the walkway offers plenty of photo opportunities. Crowds can be moderate, but the views more than make up for it. It's iconic, scenic, and perfect for a leisurely stroll with unbeatable city views.

During our previous visit to NYC in 2015 to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday we only walked 1/2 way across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan and never went all the way over to explore Brooklyn, so on our return visit in Sep 2025 to celebrate her 60th birthday we decided to walk all the way across. Our journey started with a 15 min walk from our hotel on Lexington Ave down to Grand Central Station where we took the 6 subway train to the Brooklyn Bridge City Hall station. After exiting the subway we walked to the main entrance of the bridge on the East Side of City Hall Park to begin the 1.1 mile walk across to the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area of Brooklyn. When we arrived at the bridge at around 11:30am on a Friday morning there were many tourists on the Bridge taking pictures and walking up to the mid point of the bridge with fantastic views of the Statute of Liberty to the right, the Manhattan Bridge on the left and the Manhatten skyline behind. The pedestrian walkway on the bridge is built above the road crossing so we were walking above a steady stream of cars they were passed slowly underneath us due the heavy volume of traffic. Subway trains don't go across the Brooklyn Bridge, however, they do go across the nearby Manhattan Bridge, below the road crossing. We saw a number of locks attached to the metal frame of the bridge, which are left as "love locks", as symbols of romantic commitment. Apparently this practice started around 2009, whereby couples inscribed their names on padlocks, attached them to the bridge, and often threw the keys into the water to signify their love was "unbreakable". However, this tradition has led to safety concerns and damage to the bridge, causing the city to remove thousands of locks and fine people for adding them. Many people only walked up to the mid point of the bridge before walking back to Manhattan, however, we continued walking across to Brooklyn where there was noticeably less people on the bridge in this latter section. It was a beautiful sunny day during our walk, which we enjoyed very much, stopping often to take photos and admire the fantastic views from the bridge

Originally built in 1910 as a station house project for the Pennsylvania and Harlem Railroads, the project was the cornerstone of the New York City Train Service Sector. The original building was demolished in 1963 and was reformed with an expansion for the MTA. By the late 1960s, a new station building had opened, and continues to serve the people of New York City, with upwards of 600,000 coming on the average day. During my time in New York City, I rode to this station on NJ Transit and was often enamored and flattered at just how impressive and vibrant such an old central station was of this caliber. Nevertheless, coming out of the station, I was immediately surprised by the General appeal and the layout of the station, they have managed to turn this station from just a simple place to breeze through and catch your train in the 1960s decade, the new version of Penn Station features many shops and restaurants from big name brands such as Auntie Anne's, Chick-Fil-a, Hudson News, Dunkin', Insomnia Cookies, and many more places to enjoy in the station. Getting to the connecting trains was also a simple and self aware process. When it comes to the structure of the station, the 1, 2, and 3 lines operate out of the west, while the A, W, and E lines to the north for example, allowing for connections to other parts of Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. The station could also get crowded at times, as you strive to traverse to your train in the Moynian Train Hall. The one issue of this station that I must mention unfortunately is the condition of the restrooms. After a long day of travel in Manhattan, or Brooklyn, the one thing you don't want is to have to find a working sink. The problem persisted for me in my first visit after a day in New York, as the sinks failed to work, and only one of the four functioned properly. People tend to also be be lousy with their aim, or forget to flush, leaving a major mess in the area and making the area more undesirable. I will, for certain return here anytime I come to New York City to admire the charm of travel and the hustle and bustle of the city.

Penn Station is the hub that keeps New York moving. It’s always full of energy, busy, crowded and maybe not the prettiest station in the world but it’s highly functional for travelers who can use Subway, AmTrak and LIRR services from here to get where they need to go. The food court has a variety of options, from Shake Shack to Raising Cane’s, from Chopt to Playa Bowls and there’s a Walgreens that can pretty much help every needs one may have while waiting to commute or travel around New York! I’m personally here every day and I must say that Pennsylvania Station is safe, with a lot of MTA Police constantly around and clean for the high amount of traffic that passes through daily. It’s I place in town that I love! Don’t expect luxury, especially during rush hours, but Penn Station does the job!

We're always just a quick in and out of this place so I can't really review the facilities in its entirety. There are several fast food eateries and shops. We did stop at one of the food shops to grab some drinks & chips before getting onboard. But what little we experienced, it was fine. The only gripe would be better signage for track numbers.

Walking Distance to many places like Empire State Building, Times Square and above all Madison Square Garden is just above the Penn station. If you're looking for reliable, convenient and well-connected transportation in and out of New York, Penn Station is a hard choice to beat. Penn Station is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, also looks like it’s renovated recently as it’s been so long since I been to Pen Station. But signage are well lit and easy to navigate even for first timer, It features restaurants, cafes, stores and waiting areas, making it easy to make the most of your time while waiting for your train. If I said it’s as big as decent size airport and trust me it’s not overrated, but if you get to the station you will know what I’m talking about.

The timeless Pennsylvania station is regaining the cool.vinesnwirh the upgrades and connection to Moynihan Station across the street. At least tall people gets to walk without hindrance now 😃

It surrounds you with peace and nature, making you forget you’re in one of the busiest cities in the world. Perfect for a walk, a picnic, or simply to sit and breathe in the calm beauty of the park.

After the watching the 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Broadway show at the Marquis Theatre on W46th St & 7th Ave, we walked the 0.7 miles up 7th Ave to the Central Park entrance at W59th St where I had my first NYC Hotdog from the Nathan's Hotdog stand. It was very tasty if a tad small for $6. We only walked in a very small section of the vast 843 acres, 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide park, from the W59th St & 7Ave entrance to the Model Sailing Boat Lake and could have spent several days explore the different sections of this vast beautiful space, which is enjoyed daily by some many local New Yorkers and tourists. There were lots of people relaxing on the grass, walking, jogging, running, cycling & rollerblading through the park, together with rickshaws and horse drawn carriages carrying their passengers on the one directional circular road running around inside the park. We stopped off at the Le Pain Quotidien kiosk next to the Model Boating Lake for hot drinks & pastries at one of the tables, enjoying the late evening sunshine whilst watching people going by and children sailing their rented remote controlled model boats in the lake. There are public male & female toilets either side of the kiosk and a table service section for a selection of food & drinks. It wasn't too busy when we were there around 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was the perfect place to sit down, take a break, relax and watch the world go by in Central Park whilst enjoying a drink. We were fortunate to be there to listen to the famous Central Park guitar man, David Ippolito, playing some beautiful guitar music from across the boating lake opposite our table, in his regular Saturday slot. On our walk to the Model Boating Lake we passed the 1,800 seat open air Delacorte amphitheater inside the park, where free public shows of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' were being performed. My wife is a big fan of Shakespeare's plays and would have loved to have gone to see the play. However, as the vast majority of tickets were allocated via lottery to NYC residents we would have had to queue up in person in a standby line outside the theatre on the day, in the hope of getting one of these few ticket allocations and I didn't like Shakespeare enough to do that. As it was such beautiful warm late summer we decided to walk the 2.2 miles down Lexington Ave, from the park at 74th St down to our hotel at 36th St. Although it took a lot longer than taking the subway we really enjoyed seeing more of the city on foot.

I had never seen such a huge park in the city area. Spread across 800+ acres, this park has a lot of beautiful places to visit. We went to Bethesda terrace as our first spot here and it’s really worth visiting. Great spots to visit, sit, relax, run and click pictures. Loved the bow bridge. Must visit and highly recommended.

Central Park is absolutely beautiful !!! it’s hard to believe a place this big and peaceful exists right in the middle of the city. I loved exploring Belvedere Castle and Bethesda Fountain, and seeing all the iconic spots in person felt so special. Such a perfect place to just wander, relax, and take in the city from a completely different perspective.

We kinda spur of the moment decided to do this, while in NY. So didn't buy tickets in advance, although it wasn't difficult to do so there, as they had computer ordering systems on site to use, we would have been able to see and realize that there is a price difference amongst the different "time slots" and that entry times are set every 15-30mins apart. There is thorough security to get in, and lots of staff around as well. The place was clean, and spacious. The history on your way through was very interesting. The view from the top was really good, we paid extra to go to the 101 floor. And although it wasn't a huge difference from the view of the 85th floor, I'm glad we did it. Defiently recommend visiting the observation deck of the empire state building atleast once. We went up during daylight hours, so I may, someday come back for a night view.

Go see it, you won't regret the time you spend exploring this iconic building. We're from NZ, so this was a bucket list visit and I loved everything about the museum walkthrough, old footage and experiential stuff. Views are phenomenal, breath taking even on a good day like we had. We just looked and looked at the vast expanse of this city and didn't want to leave. So much NY history in the one place, it's worth the entry fee for sure. If you are remotely interested in the Empire State Building you'll love it.

From the 86th floor, the city lights stretch in every direction—Times Square glows, traffic forms ribbons of color, and the skyline looks its best after dark. Crowds are lighter at night, so it’s easier to enjoy the view and take photos without rushing. Overall, the nighttime atmosphere feels calm and memorable. If you want a classic view of Manhattan with less daytime noise, this visit is worth it.

I chose the ESB over the Rock and other viewing platforms for it's historical significance. Built in 1931, in one year and 45 days, featured in many famous movies and recognized around the world. It even has it's own zip code! My first time in NYC so definitely had to go all the way up to the 102nd floor which is completely enclosed so good for cold weather! But you have great views from the 86th floor also which is open air and enclosed. Reservations are required and earlier is less busy.

I found the 86th floor to be pretty adequate for photos.I didn't see a point to go all the way to the top, To be honest. The views are pretty spectacular.You get to take photos from both the eightieth floor and then open air eighty sixth floor. There's lots of museum and stuff to look through before you get up to the elevators, you can either look at it or skip it.It's up to you. Then, at the end, of course, there's a gift shop. I would highly recommend this. I would probably recommend it over some of the other tall buildings because of the history surrounding this one. And it's pretty centrally located, so you can see everything from the eighty sixth floor.

I must say, this is the most magical place on earth, if you go to New York, this is a must. The prices of the tickets are affordable and the experience makes you feel like you’re on top of the world. We went in the evening and seeing the lights of New York was magical. It bought the city to life. The staff were really friendly and the museum part was interesting as it taught you about the Empire State building. Will definitely come back and visit.

One of the great things about traveling to any city is obviously the people that you meet. In my brief visits to New York, though, I've found it difficult to meet and to engage with local folks. On Nov. 12, 2025, I woke up in the morning thinking about how cool it would be to make one great human connection that day. I whispered to the Universe that I’d like that kind of encounter – a chance to get to know the real New York. It turned out that I had been looking for such a connection in the wrong place because I wasn't looking up. That's when my wife (Won-ok) and I decided to tour the Empire State Building. That was one of the things that was on my life bucket list, something that is a quintessentially American experience. When we made it to one of the lookout areas, a very kind woman named Renita greeted us with such warmth that it was overwhelming. Some people just radiate goodness and kindness, and spending time with Renita was the only time that trip that we felt the sun. My aunt happens to have the same name so the name struck a particular chord with me. Renita asked if there is anything that we would like to know. I was a little embarrassed by how little I know about the city. Renita Immediately helped me overcome my sheepishness and began answering questions from me and Won-ok. It didn't take long for one thing to lead to another and for the three of us to find ourselves in a deep, soulful conversation. Renita told us she has been working at the building for many decades. A native New Yorker, she saw the World Trade Center go up – and she witnessed the horror of the towers going down. I learned more about the history and spirit of New York in the moments I spent with her than I did on the entire rest of my trips there combined. Renita is a credit to the Empire State Building and to the city of New York. My wife and I saw a lot of amazing things on that trip but the experience that made the greatest impact on us was Renita -- New York’s ambassador in the sky.

JFK, the John G Kennedy International Airport is the prime airport in New York that caters international flights. As such, it is the gateway for New Yorkers to go abroad. Similarly, the large numbers of visitors avail of this airport to reach the USA. The Terminal 4 is basically used for internationl flights. Therefore, it has strict security environment. It is easy to commute to and from between the NY city and the JFK mostly due to introduction of the skytrain. It is fast and frequent. The airport has a decent number of dutyfree shops, and various food outlets. It is wide and spacious.

An incredible airport — huge, modern, and very well organized. There’s a great variety of shops, restaurants, and services for every taste. Everything is clearly marked, and the staff is friendly and helpful, making the travel experience smooth even during busy hours. Perfect for a layover, grabbing a nice coffee, or simply exploring. Truly one of the most complete and impressive airports in the world!

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City is always an intense experience. I’ve traveled through it multiple times, and every visit reminds me why it’s one of the busiest international hubs in the U.S. The airport is huge and has a lot to offer, but it can also be overwhelming when things get crowded or delayed. During my recent trip, I appreciated the variety of dining and shopping options, and many areas were surprisingly clean. Terminal 4, in particular, stood out with its lounges, pet relief areas, massage spots, and plenty of stores. Some lounges especially the Capital One Lounge offered an impressive, high-end experience that genuinely made my time at the airport more comfortable. Transportation to and from JFK is convenient enough, with the AirTrain, taxis, and shuttles, although car services can get pricey during peak hours. Still, there were some frustrations. Passport control and baggage claim took much longer than expected, and the understaffing was noticeable. On my last visit in 2025, I landed around 9 PM and ended up waiting for more then a hour before I finally got through. Parking is expensive, and the busier terminals can feel chaotic. Smaller terminals like Terminal 7 are cramped and have limited food options, which doesn’t help when you’re already tired from traveling. Overall, JFK has its highs and lows, but it remains a memorable part of traveling to and from New York.

Even with some staff calling out because of the government shutdown, I’m truly grateful for those who showed up and kept things running. Traveling can be stressful, but they handled it with patience and professionalism. The lines here do get long, so give yourself plenty of time — being early makes a big difference. On the bright side, there are lots of food options and plenty of tables to sit, eat, and relax before your flight.

One of the busiest airport in the north east of USA and it’s just too big too handle airport . It’s the headache for the tsa and too many people arriving at this airport from across the Atlantic. Too diverse community and work place . A lot of food and items to choose from at this place. It’s not convenient to arrive or leave from there to New York . And the airport is too huge and it’s not connected correctly . One has to go out of airport to go to different terminal . The staff is not helpful and it might be cause it’s just too huge and busy always all time of year .

The Delta hub at JFK. There are 2 concourses here with a walkway in between. Easy access and navigation. Great signage and the moving sidewalks makes it easy walk through the terminal. Plenty of places to grab a drink or something to eat. It can be pricey but there’s no place to go.

Updated Review: Following my below positive experience a couple of months ago, I regret to share that I encountered a particularly challenging situation at the airport recently. After a long flight of more than seven and half hours from London, I was eager to reach my final destination, which was just a short 15-minute journey from the airport. I had informed my cousin that I had landed and anticipated being on my way shortly.😃 However, the reality was quite different. An hour later, I was still waiting in the passport control queue. Although there were over 50 kiosks available, only about 5 or 6 were open. It is important to note that this delay was unrelated to the recent two-day shutdown. This experience did not meet the standards of customer service I had hoped for. At the very least, some form of apology or explanation regarding the 70-minute wait would have been appreciated.😞 If first impressions truly matter, then lengthy and unnecessary queues that cause frustration among visitors may not reflect the welcoming and vibrant image that New York City strives to present.😮‍💨 - Previous 5 Star Review - I arrived at Kennedy Airport yesterday evening and was very impressed with the way I was treated by the staff, particularly at passport control and passenger security/support. It’s a poor indictment when one has to praise someone for simply doing their job. However, in the current climate, especially in the USA, I think it’s important to celebrate good behaviour To start, the passport control officer was friendly, professional, and engaging — a complete contrast to many of my previous encounters both in the States and other countries. When I mentioned he was the first person to stamp my passport in several years, he politely explained why. 🙂Due to current improvement work, passengers leaving and needing an Uber or Lyft are now directed to take a shuttle to another part of the airport to hail a ride. Once we reached the drop-off point, staff advised us where to go and how to access free WiFi if needed. I was approached by a man claiming to be an Uber driver offering me a ride to my destination. Immediately, the same female staff member who I believe was on the shuttle, came over to warn me that he was likely a scammer and advised me to be cautious and not pay more than the normal fare. She checked my phone and saw the price to my destination would be about $27. She gave me the all-clear and told me not to pay a cent more. Shortly after she left, the same ‘Uber’ driver said, “Let’s go and i’ll charge you $40” I immediately stopped and turned around to hail my own ride, which arrived in less than two minutes for the reasonable price of $27. This, to me, is excellent customer service.👏👏👏😀

The Staten Island Ferry is a free and scenic ride offering great views of Lower Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty. It’s a convenient way to get to Staten Island, though it can get crowded during peak hours. Once on Staten Island, Empire Outlets is located near the ferry terminal, making it easy to combine sightseeing and shopping. While the location is by the ocean, most stores did not have large collections or special deals during my visit. The mall offers some restaurants and cafes, but it’s still developing and feels less bustling than other outlets. The ferry is a great sightseeing option, and the outlet mall is convenient for a quick shopping stop, but the store selection and deals are still limited.

The Staten Island Ferry is one of New York City’s most underrated yet unforgettable experiences, and it remains completely free, which makes it even more impressive. Whether you’re a local commuting daily or a tourist exploring the city for the first time, this 25-minute ride across the New York Harbor delivers far more than you would expect from a public ferry service. The moment the ferry departs from the Whitehall Terminal in Manhattan, you’re greeted with sweeping views of the skyline—towering skyscrapers behind you and the open harbor in front. As the boat moves forward, the Statue of Liberty appears on your right side, close enough for great photos without paying for an expensive cruise. This ferry ride gets you really close to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. During the sunset is especially nice!!! Make sure to ride on the right hand side of the boat to see the downtown Manhattan, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Best of all the round trip is free. There is a ferry leaving roughly every 15 minutes. Highly recommended 👌

Didn’t think I’d have time to take the ferry across to Staten Island as I had a flight to catch but it came super recommended to me while I was in NYC. My cousin knew my love for Lady Liberty and told me the best way to see it without taking a tour was the Staten Island ferry. She told no lies. I love that the ferry is free that’s a nice added bonus! The staff working inside the station and on the ferry were extremely friendly and helpful. I love that the ferry has plugs which allow you to charge your phone or laptop while on the ferry. It provides you with amazing views of the Statue of Liberty and the New York Skyline. There’s washrooms on board which is also super nice. You can sit inside the ferry, sit outside the ferry or stand outside. It’s a fairly quick ride (30 minutes one way). The nicest add on is the little cafe inside!

FREE!!! Best free experience ever! I got to see the Statue of Liberty 🗽 in a very similar way that my grandmother and mom saw it when they arrived from Germany when they arrived at Ellis Island. I only wish they were still living so we could have seen it together. I thoroughly enjoyed my first ever ferry ride! It’s so iconic, as seen in countless NYC movies. No trip to NYC is complete without taking this ferry to Staten Island. Just be sure to avoid the rush hour. The Staten Island Ferry has a website and highlights when the morning and evening rush hours are. Did I mention it’s FREE?

Was good way to see most of Manhattan, but would not rely on it if want to get one place to another for a brought trip as drivers just stop bus for no reason and stop thier shift or say end of the line as they have finished and will need to wait for next bus. We cut it very fine to get to a paid trip, thinking we had lots of time to get there on the bus. But the driver stopped as getting near the end of his work day.

One of the staff members who scans the bus tickets by 47th and 7av is very disrespectful and it’s not the first time. He is a white guy with blonde hair and his name tag says “Spencer M”. He has a very bad attitude and just have a bad energy overall. If he doesn’t like his job or doesn’t want to deal with people, then he should just leave.

We got to see a lot of sights but the busses take a long time to come by and there is not enough time to get off and see the sights. Also, the top of the bus as well as inside was very hot.

Bus driver/Owner was fantastic! Even though I’ve lived here for 1/2 my life, I loved learning all the intricate details about downtown SLC that he shared. I highly recommend doing his bus tour!!

My biggest mistake in NYC. In heavy rain we bought tickets on the street – I wasn’t interested and said it was raining and I wouldn’t get off, it made no sense. He convinced us anyway. He sold us tickets claiming they were the price of a night ride, but it was a scam – my card was charged three times more than a regular ticket. The tickets were supposed to be valid for 4 hours, but at one stop we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes, and the headphones didn’t work. A complete waste of time and money. Fraud.

Don't bother. As reported in previous reviews, which I wish I had read prior to booking tickets, the bus stops for 10 to 15 minutes at various places for what seems like no reason. I wanted to go around back to battery park, but it is taking too long for just one round trip! Over 2.5 hours!

Took the orange night tour bus in NYC and had a terrible experience. I ended up twisting my ankle at the top of the bus before it started (found out later that my foot is broken) and the ticket scanner didn’t seem to care. He just wanted to scan our tickets. The headphones didn’t work at all for any of my family members, and we discovered the wires to all of our audio boxes were cut. There was no “hopping off” anywhere and no tour. It literally was just a bus ride through the city. With a broken foot. Would not recommend this bus, to anyone, ever. Also, would not recommend breaking your foot on vacation, especially on this bus. They won’t care.

Finally, on my 5th trip to NYC we did Rockafella Centre instead of Empire State. What a great experience. Great views of the NYC skyline which includes the Empire State. The Beam was so worth it as well. Great views out towards Central Park. Could have stayed up there for even more hours. Nice little cafe/bar with terrace area to sit and chill while admiring the views.

We visited Top of the Rock and were absolutely amazed! The view of New York is stunning — especially the Empire State Building and the Manhattan skyline. The entry was quick and well-organized with minimal waiting time. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the city vibe, take incredible photos, and soak in the views. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting New York for the first time!

Visiting Top of the Rock was such an incredible experience! The views of New York City are absolutely breathtaking. The elevators are fast and the observation decks are very well organized, making it easy to enjoy the sights without feeling crowded. Definitely a must-visit

Top of the Rock was fantastic — much quieter than the Empire State Building, which made the experience way more enjoyable. The views to the north are incredible, especially over Central Park. You also get a perfect view of the Empire State Building, which you obviously can’t get if you’re standing on it! Highly recommend going around sunset for the best light.

Even in drizzling rain this was an enjoyable experience. We actually really like the foggy photos we got too! One of the cheaper birds eye view options with two different tourist photo opportunities. Though I usually find those to be cheesy, if it wasn't raining during our trip I could see their unique recreation of the iconic construction photo snapped during the building of the rockafeller center could be super cute/fun and very New York specific, and I may have considered it in better weather.

Loved Top of the Rock! The views are incredible even though you’re not the tallest building in the city. Took almost no time to enter even though it was pretty busy being right around dusk. The night views are the best. Definitely do this on your trip to NYC.

We had the morning free before flying home and wanted to visit somewhere new to us. You could actually spend the whole day in this magnificent museum. It's structurally beautiful as well as having displays that are truly impressive. The Egyptian items were outstanding, the burial items, jewellery and finds took our breath away. The wall paintings on the burial building were spectacular. Also the photograph of the wooden replica boats all broken and then repaired and on display were incredible. They all had a black bob hairstyle! The Greek section was fabulous as was the Asian. The African panels on the ceiling, totem poles, tribal costumes and carvings were beautifully painted and definitely a favourite of ours. The Japanese garden was quiet and a place of calm and very much represented the culture. We had a quick stop at the cafe, the queue went down fairly quickly and people were constantly moving so tables became available. This museum turned into a highlight of our trip and I have already told friends to put it on their to do list when visiting New York.

⭐️ Incredible World-Class Museum in the Heart of NYC. I visited The Metropolitan Museum of Art and bought my ticket at the entrance. It was busy with tourists, but once you step inside the galleries the museum is so huge that the crowds spread out quickly. The exhibits are absolutely incredible — Egyptian mummies, sarcophagi, medieval knights, full suits of armor, ancient weapons, paintings, sculptures, musical instruments, and so much more. The collection is massive and honestly mind-blowing. At some point we were so tired from walking that we had to stop, because this place is endless. It really feels like stepping into ancient Egypt, medieval Europe, and world history all inside Manhattan. There are clean restrooms, plenty of places to rest, and a nice gift shop on the way out. A must-visit NYC museum. Highly recommended! 📸🇺🇸

I haven’t been to the MET ever since coming back from the army. I used to go all the time, especially when they would have new exhibits in the museum. What made me go in the first place was because I’m writing an essay on art for my art history class. I wanted to share so of the photos that I took on my journey.

Man Ray exhibit was fantastic. Ancient Egypt was also very cool. So big, impossible to see all in 1 visit. upstairs musical instruments room was awesome and the armor and swords too. loved the big open natural light room where the Egyptian tomb was. Really great place.

The Met in NYC is one of those rare places that somehow exceeds the hype. The moment you walk in, you feel the weight of history, culture, and artistry from every corner of the world. The collection is massive — truly something for everyone — but it never feels overwhelming. Every gallery is intentional, beautifully curated, and full of details that pull you in. What I appreciated most was how easy it was to get lost in time. One minute you’re in ancient Egypt, the next you’re staring at a Van Gogh that stops you in your tracks. The staff is friendly, the layout is intuitive, and the entire experience feels like stepping into a different world for a few hours. If you’re in NYC, this is a non-negotiable stop. It’s not just a museum — it’s an experience you carry with you long after you leave.

Carved out 3 hours and still barely got through maybe a half(if even that) of the museum. The staff there was great and the student discount of 17$ was pretty great, and I think it’s awesome that New York residents and local students only pay if they want to, that’s a cool perk. One thing is, at times it definitely felt like a maze getting through the galleries.

Grant Central Terminal was originally named after the New York Central Railroad, which operated from 1900 to 1910. The current new terminal was built from 2007 to 2023. The constellations are embroidered on the ceiling of the constellations, and sometimes you can see cute scenes of children lying on the floor and looking at the constellations embroidered on the ceiling. If you know you know this is where the opening scene for the first episode of gossip girl filmed. It is the most gorgeous train station I’ve ever seen and is so clean and tidy. There is lots of variety of food and retail shops available and even a little sports section it entertain yourself. It is truly an amazing train station and it’s so appealing to the eye. There’s also so nice to re-enact the classic Photo of Serena Vander Woodson. 🤭🤍🫶🏼

As a tourist visiting New York City, Grand Central Station was my favorite building. You could see and feel the history of the building. The best part about being inside the station is thinking about how important it was to building the city and how it currently helps facilitate so much of the business in the city. Also, it is amazing to think about the important people from history who have set foot in the same location! Highly recommend as a stop touring the city!

Trains run frequently, and you can easily catch the line that suits your destination. Ticket prices vary, but I recommend downloading the MTA app to check schedules and buy tickets online. You can also get them at the booths—it’s a bit old-school, but it has its charm (I used to do that a lot back when I was in school). What I love most is the art deco style—it reflects the elegance that made early 20th-century New York so iconic. The restrooms are usually clean, there are quick bites available if you’re in a hurry, and the self-service machines are convenient. Overall, it’s an efficient, accessible terminal—and I truly love it.

Amazing! I’ve been to several museums in this category all around the country & world & in my opinion this is the best…even better than DC’s Smithsonian. Unlike other NYC attractions it was less packed and more enjoyable. I love the balance between science & history. The scale and attention to detail is top notch. Many of the taxidermies & environments looked great. I won’t go into great detail, but rather will post photos & let you decide. Lastly, everything is well maintained. I recommend!

The American Museum of Natural History never disappoints. You could easily spend hours here — especially in the incredible animal exhibits, where lifelike dioramas make you feel like you’re standing in the middle of the wild. It’s one of those places that fascinates you no matter how many times you visit. This was our second time, and it was just as impressive as the first. Even though the weather outside was beautiful — and we briefly considered renting bikes in Central Park instead — we stuck to our plan and went to the museum. Weather-wise, probably not the best choice, but absolutely worth it. We added two special exhibitions to our visit (both extra cost): “Invisible Worlds” — a stunning, beautifully produced show about the hidden connections between all living things and how we share DNA with nearly everything on Earth. Highly recommended. The Milky Way Encounters — another highlight, with breathtaking visuals projected on the dome ceiling as you recline in your seat and journey through space. Aside from that, we explored much of the permanent collection — though there’s always more to see. I’d say we covered about 80% this time, which is progress from our first visit! A world-class museum, perfect for all ages. Whether you’re into nature, science, or just want to feel small in the best possible way — this place is a must.

Excellent collection of dinosaur fossil collections, so many are complete. Nice to see it up and close to see the scale of the actual dinosaur bones. Conveniently located on the same block as the subway metro station of 81st Street station. Their are many collections of animals from around the world, not just American species. Hayden Planetarium was an incredible experience that one must try. The screen is semi circle in the ceiling to get a 3D effect feel. Sometimes, it feels like you are moving!!! Highly recommend to buying tickets before arriving to save time. Very highly recommended 👌 👍

Do the planetarium! It’s an incredible show, part science, part dreamscape, and a great place to rest your feet after a day of exploring. Neil deGrasse Tyson’s narration is stellar (pun intended). I almost fell asleep, in the best possible way. We had to speed-run this visit, and it actually worked out! We hit the dinosaurs and gems first, both absolutely worth it. The exhibits are thoughtfully laid out and easy to navigate since each floor follows a similar flow. There’s so much here that we definitely missed a few sections, but if you’re short on time, you can comfortably see the major highlights in about two hours before closing. This museum has a much more family-oriented vibe than the MET or MoMA, plenty of kids, groups, and wide-eyed first-timers. Keep an eye out for special events and group experiences; there’s always something fascinating going on.

Wow the wife and I came from Montana to see this gem. We love rocks. So many rocks of all kinds. But when asking to get to the hall of planet earth the employees dont know? Whaaaaaaat! Mamma mia!! We met four beautiful young girls looking at the African Mammal Rock for a group project! The animals are so real a lipstick just like the real thing. And the dino skeletons CANT BELIEVE THEM THINGS ARE REAL. So HUGE. All the kiddos there loved the dinos, many happy couples posing like dinos…can you feel the love tonight? In the hall of planet earf...It was very dark and warm like I was in a cave and it unlocked my primal earthly instincts to want to take a nap. Honk shoo. Honk shoo. Sleepy dAVE. Our favorite was the free fine minute planetarium show I really felt like I was in another galazy made me DIZZY. Love the milky glizy way galaxy. What do you know about the Cambrian explosion? The Alaskan earthquake was tragic. I learned a lot……Terrific. Great. Great for families kiddos and bored lonely singles.

Was on a work trip to NY but this was definitely my highlight to-go place, who doesn't like dinosaur! However I went close to closing hour, so there was very little crowd frankly which makes it very easy to navigate around and photos were mostly free of people! This is a huge museum which a great number of exhibitions you prob can spend more time here! Also nearby is central park which you can go for a stroll right after! It was a really unique experience seeing Yankee Stadium for the first time. I must admit, however, that the area around it is FAR behind the times. Trying to be nice about it, but the best example I can give is to check out "The Battery" around the Atlanta Braves stadium, then look at NY and you'll understand. A difference of confident fun vs relative scary safety

Despite a rainy game, we had a blast watching the Yankees play the Blue Jays! Such a fantastic modern stadium. The outside looks clean and very high end. The seating is great and there are lots of options for great ballpark food. The specialty items are definetly in the lower levels, but the view from section 419 was fantastic!

A wonderful place where you can taste a slice of real American sport. No stadium fights all friends even between rival teams. In a beautiful atmosphere. The courteous staff; easy to reach by public transport. I don't recommend taking a taxi or UBER because the fares are crazy

Caught a game at Yankee Stadium and it was an absolute blast! The atmosphere was electric, with passionate fans cheering on the Bronx Bombers. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making sure everyone had a great experience. From the concessions to the seating, everything was top-notch. We traveled all the way from London to experience the magic of Yankee Stadium, and it definitely lived up to the hype. If you're a baseball fan, Yankee Stadium is a must-visit destination. Highly recommend!

It's one of the crown jewels of baseball but it is starting to show its age from 2009. Food is phenomenal but the lines are really long and this needs improvement. Expect to miss at least two innings if you get up for food or beer during the game. You walk through catacombs on the lower level to get to your seats in some areas. No 360 view of field from concourse. Not fan friendly to the hard working common Yankee fan. The field is just one big Advertisement space. Not an inch is left unmarked by ads. All that said it is worth the trip. I still love it. You feel the Yankees mystique. Visited Friday July 25 2025.

First time at a game, but loved the vibe. People were friendly, the lines organized and moved smoothly. We had no problem finding our seats or the restrooms. Great views from the 3rd deck. Escalators and elevators made the assent easier. Took the train for easy travel, the stop was right on the corner.

I had a great time visiting Roosevelt Island. It was super easy to get here. The Island is super small so an easy walk. It’s amazing how quiet it is being so close to NYC.

We went here on our last day in NY, a good visit and an hidden gem in the hustle of NY, we got the subway there had a walk around the parks and looked around before going back over using the Roosevelt tramway cable car. Easy to use as it uses the same click and go system the subway does.

A worthy visit to spend a day. Easy access by cable car or metro for only $2.90/single way. Nice scenery and sculptures at the north of the island. Take the free red bus to reach the south to enjoy a panoramic view and see the Hope memorial and the ruins of the first smallpox hospital. Few shops and restaurants. Enjoy a great drink and patisserie at the cozy cafe Aviva.

A lovely adventure to add into a visit to NYC for a little space from the crazy! The walkway along the river showcases lovely views of the Manhattan skyline. Definitely worth checking out The Girl Puzzle & The Lighthouse.

I am terrified of heights and the tram was not bad at all. The ride was really quick but very hot inside the tram during the summer. It takes about 40 mins to walk across the island but the free red bus is really convenient. The island has nice parks and areas to chill across the coasts, each end has something cool to check out. There's a library and a couple of food places. A nice location for a day trip.

The view of the bridge glowing against the night sky is absolutely stunning, and the reflection on the water makes it feel almost magical. The Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal or the Jersey City Terminal, was the Central Railroad of New Jersey's waterfront passenger terminal in Jersey City, USA. This terminal was built in 1889 and was in operation till April 30, 1967. The view of the water front and the tall buildings is a great sight and a miss not experience

I visited Liberty State park to walk around. My Grandfather was a Train Operator for many years and I just fell in love with trains. This place was absolutely amazing! I love that they kept the old tracks. Inside was just beautiful! Free to walk and look around!

Very cool vintage place. You meet here for the Statue City Cruise ship to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty! If you are hear for the Statue of liberty, come early since the line might get long. I went in the morning, so not that much wait!

My wife and I were in town for the 4th of July holiday weekend and took a ride over to Roosevelt Island on the tram and it was awesome! Incredible views and a good time. Will gladly do this again next time I’m in town!

The architecture and grandeur of this station is amazing! This has been featured in lot of tv shows and movies.

Over 30% of the population has scent and chemical sensitivity. 12-15% has life threatening sensitivity like asthma or anaphylaxis. And this place decides to diffuse holiday scents. Dangerous and inconsiderate to a large portion of the population!!!! Sensitive people beware!!!

A wonderful use of old elevated train tracks turned into beautiful greenery in the middle of the city. So many different kinds of vegetation and lots of great art to see along the way. We walked about 2 miles of it from The Edge down to Chelsea Market.

The High Line is one of the most unique and enjoyable outdoor experiences in New York City. Built on an elevated historic rail line, it offers a peaceful walkway above the busy streets, with great views of the city and plenty of greenery along the way. It’s a perfect place for a stroll, whether you’re looking to take photos, enjoy the art installations, or just relax in a quieter space. The mix of plants, architecture, and open views of the Hudson River makes it feel both urban and calming at the same time. Depending on how fast you walk, you can explore the whole thing in about 30–60 minutes, making it a great stop that doesn’t take up your whole day. It can get crowded during peak hours, but it’s still a lovely experience overall. A must-visit if you’re in the city and want something scenic, relaxing, and completely free. Lovely for an autumn walk and lots of great photo opportunities. Clean bathrooms. Lots of city views. Surrounded by buildings with unique architecture. Lots of benches and viewing areas, including one where you can watch traffic. Landscaping and sculptures.

This walk is so nice, it's hard to believe it's free (privately funded, donations accepted). We stopped for several minutes to listen to a mockingbird perform his concert! Super clean bathrooms, and there are no pets allowed, so with all the plants, it smells nice too. Not too crowded on weekdays.

The Experience: This is a fantastic spot for a nice walking experience above the city streets. It offers a unique perspective of Manhattan and serves as a great path to get to Hudson Yards, offering a perfect, looming view of The Edge as you approach. Accessibility Note: Be mindful of where you enter. I found the stairs to be very steep at the access point I used. If you have heavy bags or mobility issues, you definitely want to double-check the map for elevator access beforehand, as the stairs can be a workout. Verdict: Despite the climb up, I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. It’s a refreshing break from the traffic below.

A unique and beautiful walkway throughout New York City. From Hudson yards to Little Island, an extraordinary yet calm walkway above the streets. And offer a serene and calm experience. Would highly recommend.

This might be the best urban park that I've ever visited! What a great way to meander through the Chelsea neighbourhood with some elevated views of New York City. I imagine it can get extremely busy on a nice day, but its certainly work checking out if you're in the area. Lots of little pockets of space if you want some privacy from all the folks out for a walk.

The Statue of Liberty is one of the most iconic symbols of freedom, and visiting it feels special from start to finish. The ferry ride itself offers breathtaking views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Liberty Island is peaceful, clean, and full of great photo spots. The Statue looks massive and impressive from up close, and the museum gives deep insight into its construction, symbolism, and restoration. We booked to view this historic and iconic landmark via statue city cruises. We had a very smooth experience starting from the queue management, security checking, cruise to the liberty island and back. Very well managed and staffs were there to guide us. The experience is great. This monument stands tall and it reminds us about all the history related to it. Beautiful in short. When you visit NYC, this is the must visit place. Iconic and beautiful.

Our trip to Liberty State Park was fantastic from start to finish. We bought tickets from the NJ side. Parking was easy. Buying tickets on mobile was super smooth, and going through security was a breeze. We went during the week and experienced absolutely no wait time—both on the way there and coming back. We really enjoyed our visit to the Statue of Liberty! The entire area was very clean and well maintained, and the museum was full of fascinating information - a great mix of history and insight. The walk around the island was lovely, offering amazing views of downtown Manhattan, New Jersey, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Ellis Island. It’s truly a special perspective of New York. The cafeteria food was decent, with better prices than expected, and the souvenir shop had something for every taste and budget. I visited the Statue of Liberty with my mom and sister, and it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. Seeing it up close was honestly breathtaking the statue is much larger than I expected, and the views from the pedestal were beautiful . We took the ferry from Battery Park, which was really easy and gave us great views of both Liberty Island and Ellis Island along the way. Hiking up as far as we could inside the statue was such a cool experience you really get to appreciate the scale and craftsmanship of this incredible monument. A few fun facts: the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France in 1886 to celebrate freedom and democracy. She’s made of copper, which has oxidized over time to create her iconic green color, and her full height from base to torch is about 305 feet! The seven rays on her crown represent the seven continents and seven seas, symbolizing liberty spreading across the world. If you’re visiting New York, this is an absolute must-do. Amazing tour to one of the most iconic landmarks in New York! We took the ferry from Battery Park all the way to the Statue. Trip is nice and short, full of beautiful views. I highly recommend the tour that includes the access to the crown. It's a 198 steps very narrow way to the top but it's worth it.

**beware skirts/dresses. Floors may reflect unwanted exposure** If it's a warm day the observation decks will be hot. We bought the pass that allowed for flexible priority entry. the pass included a spending credit to be used at gift shop or restaurant as well as the observation tablet. They will try to sell you the tablet as an add on at the top. Security and elevators were easy. Nice video in elevator as well as at the top priority to entry. It was an enjoyable experience. We sat and had a drink with our credits to enjoy the view. Beware, it was still $$.

This was a very nice experience, towering over NYC with multiple view in every direction. The elevator is lightning fast and you do not even feel it, one of the fastest in the world we were told. The animated views along with the elevation counter was pretty cool. It was not very busy at all, walked right in. There were 3 floors to observe. I would have liked to have seen more on the very top floor but they kind of usher you out of this floor rather quickly. Overall I think it was a “thing to do” experience and would recommend. A bit on the pricey side for the time you spend there, but still nice to do. If you want to see some really spectacular views, this is for you!

Welcome, to the highest skyscraper of New York. It still feels surreal to me having the opportunity to finally see it with my own eyes. It is massive, it is huge, it is magical in his own. Going up by the elevator where you get a very nice animation of the build of New York, and after 40-ish seconds you reached the top where you can admire the amazing view of New York City. Now, I must say it may not have the charm, or the stellar history like the North and South World Trade Center had in the past, but the One World Trade Center defenitely deserves his mark in New York City. Which also makes it one of the must see things when you are in this town. Small tip; Make sure your make a reservation in advance! Just to be sure.

An amazing experience. so much light and space and the views speak for themselves. This is a calm and serene experience compared to some of the other observation decks. There's a solemnity about this place as well obviously. I bought tickets on the same morning and it was very well run and easy to access.

This is definitely the best Skyscraper to visit in NYC! When you go in the Elevator there is a little animation about the Twin Towers and then building the One World Trade Center. Then, When you get up in the observatory you have the craziest view of all of NYC and the other islands. In Conclusion, this is definitely the best place in NYC to site see

One world observatory is one of the highest point at New York. I would recommend booking tickets in advance. The lift experience was amazing- both going up and down. The views are breathtaking. Maybe going in the evening would be best to get both day and night view if the schedule allows

Remember to ask one of the employees at the payment kiosk for a discount code. The employee near us reminded us to use the family discount for all 6 of us for 25% off. So cool of her to point it out for us. This discount code isn't offered, or at least, not easily found when buying tickets online. Consider buying tickets when you arrive. The best part of the entire experience was the elevator ride up. Put your back against the door and pay attention to the history lesson of the vertical growth of New York of 300 years and the rise of the city in 100 floors of lift. It makes the already fast ride even quicker. There's a similar experience on the way down, but not nearly as cool. On the observation floor, there are a few plaques on the walls, make sure you read each of them for some interesting facts. You ought to plan this into your next trip to NY.

Such a great experience going to the observation deck at the Empire State Bldg. I really enjoyed all of the different inviting displays they used to tell the history of building the Rockefeller Center. Made it really fun and interactive. We learned a lot about all of the movies made there. But then the views¡ Amazing! The sun set while ẁe were there and I loved seeing the city at night. It would be on my top 10 things to do in NYC. I highly recommend you make it part of your NYC visit.

This was an amazing experience. It was my first time ever in New York and I wanted to see something from a skyscraper. The tallest building in Ireland is around 15 storeys high so being on the 70th floor at the observation deck was a huge thrill. We signed up tot he Rockefeller centre email newsletter and had 10% off so we used the discount and for two people it worked out at $108 which was about €93 which was good value for what it was. There was no time limit and the experience was great. We would certainly do this again and it is worth it.

I went up there around 11 PM and it was the best decision. There’s no line and there’s not so many people at the top. You can take as many pictures of the stunning view as you want without worrying about the crowd. As far as I was told you can stay as long as you want to (up until 12AM). The view is 10/10. I’ve also been on top of the Ende but I think being on top of the rock is an experience in itself. Seeing the skating rink was also beautiful. Would recommend

If skating is not your thing but you like to watch instead, why not rent one of the Apres Skate Chalets for a 40-minute reservation. They are private and heated and offer cozy seating for up to 6 people. There is also a food and beverage service available.

Although I didn't get a chance to see the Christmas tree (currently being installed) or the Prometheus sculpture (under restoration) during my trip, the place remains magical. An iconic location, full of film references. Everything was spotless, the ice rink was beautiful, there were plenty of staff, and security was excellent. Fabulous.

We had Vip Tickets with the Family and James was our Tour Guide. Absolutely loved it !!! He was amazing and hilarious. We had access to everything including a private elevator on the big rooftop down to the bar. We had an amazing view, didn’t have to wait for anything and could skip every queue. We had so much time for everything and could properly enjoy this amazing experience and view. Would do it again anytime !!!

This venture was on my 'Bucket List'. It was great. I loved every minute of it. The art was wonderful and was all I thought it would be. If you go, make a point of thanking the staff in each gallery. I found they were all really nice and few of the visitors talked to them. The food on the balcony cafe was nice and great staff.... But like most of NY it was expensive.

I visited The Met on a Friday evening and had an outstanding experience. The Temple of Dendur looked especially stunning lit up at night — a perfect backdrop for exploring the museum after hours. The Arms and Armor collection was a major highlight, showcasing incredible craftsmanship and history. I also enjoyed the Greek and Asian galleries, each filled with striking pieces, and the European collection, which offered impressive depth and variety. I spent about three hours there and quickly realized it wasn’t enough. The Met’s scale and quality make it easy to lose track of time, and I’m already planning a return visit to see more. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates art, culture, or world-class museum experiences.

Had an amazing museum date at the MoMA! The museum has about six full floors to explore, each filled with diverse, thought-provoking, and unforgettable pieces. We took our time wandering through the galleries, and every level had something completely different to offer. One exhibit that truly surprised me was the stuffed-animal installation. I wasn’t expecting it at all, and it totally grabbed my attention. It was playful, intriguing, and oddly emotional—definitely one of the highlights of the day. Overall, it was the perfect mix of art, discovery, and great company. I’d highly recommend the MoMA for a date or even a solo trip if you want to get lost in creativity for a few hours.

Amazing place to visit with so many incredible pieces of art. I would check if there is a specific piece you want to see, some are not always on display but there is more than enough to view. I did some research before I went to make sure I knew where the main pieces I wanted to see were which helped as I got to them before they got too busy. I would recommend at least a few hours for a visit but you could easily spend a day here.

Pro Tip: If you want cheaper tickets, skip the official website! Buy them from third-party sites like Agoda Booking.com etc. The official price there is $30 but I was lucky and only paid $18 on Agoda. By the way the museum is fantastic, featuring lots of works by renowned artists. I am a Van Gogh fan and was excited to see Starry Night in person. I also enjoyed seeing many of Picasso's pieces, a few of Frida Kahlo's and a few of Monet's. As for the rest of the artwork, there were a few pieces that made me question how they made it into the museum. I think this museum is worth a visit but probably not repeated visits.

We went to the Christmas Spectacular Rockettes 100th Anniversary event and it was amazing!. All the performers were excellent! The Rocketts, impeccable! The staff who worked the event that evening were very friendly and knowledgeable. I honestly cannot say enough about the staff who work in the bathroom. You can only imagine how long the women's bathroom line is at the end of the show they have I would say at least 10 if not more staff members who get you in and out of that line super fast, and they are super organized and have it down to a science. I have never been to a place where the bathroom has been super organized like that. 5 STARS ALL AROUND.. I LOVE NYC!

Radio City is one of the most acoustically sound theaters I have been in. I attended the Ludovico Einaudi concert on Sunday and it was absolutely AMAZING! Despite being up on 2nd mezzanine, there really isnt a bad seat in the house. You can feel the music in your soul. Great venue! Great artist! Comfortable seats and convenient restrooms and food access. I can't wait to be back here for another event soon. Tons of staff, all pleasant and helpful.

We have been there for the Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes. It was awesome. A great Show and the Radio City Music Hall is a "must see" not only during winter- or christmastime. We love it...

On a mother-daughter birthday celebration to New York City in November, we attended the 100th anniversary Christmas spectacular. Spectacular is the perfect word for this performance. I am a wheelchair user. The staff at Radio City from security to restroom attendance to concession, ushers everyone was amazing. Radio City Music Hall is beautifully decorated and awe-inspiring. The show was the best I'd ever seen in 2025. I started going to Radio City as a child in the mid-1970s and went every year for a number of years. We had not been back in probably 15 years. It was certainly worth the wait.

We saw the Rockettes on Saturday night. I think it’s a worthwhile performance that you should get orchestrated tickets closer to the front to appreciate the Rockettes since the seating goes very far back rather than wide. The lights are nice. There is one bathroom in the basement that has a long line so arrive early if you need to use the bathroom. The show has no intemission.

We saw the Christmas show. It's the Rockettes: you know what you're going to see. A medley of songs, synchronized dancing women, legs. We got our tickets last minute and sat in the back corner of the mezzanine. The show used their screens and practical effects well, the sound system made everything clearly audible and the show was fun. My wife fell asleep. I liked it: I would get better seats so I could make out the faces of the dancers. If $100/hour or more is in your entertainment budget and you're a dancer or have dreamed of seeing the Rockettes, go see it. If not, you aren't missing a life changing show. Get your tickets early.

Walk back in time at Radio City Music Hall. Went to see the Rockettes, mom was right what an incredible performance! The hard work shows in the precision choreography. The show is one delightful moment to the next! Compares to any Disney Broadway production. The historical art deco was saved by the Rockette organization. Celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2025!

Follows families who lived there at different points in time. apartments lovingly preserved authentically from contact with living relatives. Fascinating to see how immigrants lived in the times represented. the tour we did was during Progressive era, middle 29s and 30s. Don't sleep on this. Real taste of early NYC history.

This was one of the most fascinating museums I’ve visited in a long time. We took a tour group of 50 people from Michigan to this museum. They split us up into groups and I took the 1869 tour which went to the top of the Tenement Museum. I felt that the interpretation was first rate and our guide was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this museum as a way get a sense of how immigrants lived and survived in the late 19th century. The only suggestion I would make for the organization is to stock some t-shirts in their gifts store. They are very book heavy in their wares. Overall however this is an outstanding place to visit.

We had a great experience on this tour. It was really informative and thoughtfully put together. Everything started right on time, which we appreciated, and there were around ten different tours to choose from depending on your interests. Please plan ahead because the tours fill up fast. We decided to go with the 1902 tour, which was focused on women living in tenement housing during that time period. We walked through their actual homes. The guide told the story from the perspective of a dressmaker in one apartment and a family who ran a butcher shop in another building. It was interesting to see their homes well preserved and how their lives were shaped by the society at that time. The storytelling was engaging and you could tell a lot of care went into the research and presentation. If you’re interested in history and want something more immersive than just reading plaques or walking through a museum on your own, I’d definitely recommend this tour.

Had the most amazing tour at this Museum which was run by Ben. Unlike any other museum I have been to. You cannot attend without making a private tour which are in small groups. Ben told the stories with such passion and emotion. This will truly be a highlight of my New York trip to hear the stories behind the buildings. Well worth it.

This is s living museum of sorts. You are in the original restored buildings with an experienced guide. Pictures do not do justice to the history. If you are interested architecture and the immigrant experience then be sure to check it out. Be aware there are many different tours at the museum. Each tour only covers one or two historical periods. If you have time book multiples. Definitely get advanced reservations.

What truly stood out were the stained glass windows scattered throughout — radiant pieces that lit up the ancient stone interiors with color and life. Equally impressive were the quiet cloistered gardens and the serene views over the Hudson River, which offered peaceful moments amid the crowds. The museum does lean heavily on Christian religious art, which might not resonate with everyone. And while the space is thoughtfully designed, it can feel crowded at peak hours. Booking tickets in advance is smart, and parking can be limited, so plan accordingly. Still, despite its popularity, The Met Cloisters remains a serene and enriching experience — a remarkable blend of art, architecture, and nature just a short ride from the heart of the city.

I photographed an engagement session at The Met Cloisters and it ended up being one of the most peaceful, beautiful shoots I’ve had in NYC. The entire space feels like you’ve stepped into another time — stone archways, quiet courtyards, lush gardens, and little corners of soft, natural light everywhere. The grounds are incredibly well maintained, and even though it’s a popular spot, you can always find areas that feel private and calm. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the mix of architecture and greenery gives you so much variety without ever feeling crowded or chaotic. Walking through the cloisters, the gardens, and the pathways around Fort Tryon Park creates the perfect flow for a session. Every turn has a new backdrop — from cobblestone paths to medieval columns to vibrant garden spaces. It’s truly one of the most romantic and timeless locations in the city, and every visit reminds me why I love photographing here.

Got to visit this historic landmark monastic museum up in the mountains just north of the city for the first time in years and the first time in my wheelchair and while I was very impressed by their new exhibit Spectrum of Desire: Love, Sex and Gender in the Middle Ages and it was the perfect exhibit in the classic gothic setting of the space. However, I learned the extent of their accessibility in the centuries old space. It’s surrounded by beautiful forests and trees but unfortunately impossible to easily access. Good thing the space itself is awesome like the beautiful courtyard and main museum space.

The walk up was a beautiful sight to see with all the leaves changing along the Hudson. The architecture of the cloisters is a testament to mostly forgotten artistic masonry and woodworking. We enjoyed the Spectrum of Desire exhibit. The atmosphere in the Met Cloisters is a more peaceful and relaxed experience in comparison to that of 5th ave. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and plan to visit again soon.

A must visit! The Met Cloisters is a gem and the collections are rare and beautiful! The unicorn tapestry pieces are the most valuable pieces in the museum and they’re mesmerizing. Enjoyed the gardens and the views, curious fact, the view across the river was purchased privately in the early 1900s to preserve the nature and view across the museum. Indeed a visionary intention.

This is my favorite museum in New York. A total hidden gem of the city. This is also the place I come to when I have a headache that I cannot get rid of. Today I learned that the daily tour varies in content depends on the presenter or group size. It’s always fun. It’s better not in the winter bc the cloisters are open.

This square has a European feel to it. It is a nice place to visit though a section of the park seems to attract drug users. Be vigilant especially if you visit with kids. I love the live music vibe here. As for the psychics that offer their services here, I am yet to be in their company.

Washington Square Park has such a relaxed vibe. It's a lovely place to sit by the fountain, enjoy the sunshine, and watch the mix of people passing by. Street performers add a nice touch without feeling overwhelming. The trees give plenty of shade, and the iconic arch makes the view special. Perfect spot to unwind and take a break from the city's rush.

Every visit brings a new vibe and something different to enjoy. It’s a must-visit destination that perfectly captures the culture, diversity, and energy of downtown Manhattan.

Google maps asked, "How was Washington Square?". IT WAS/IS RAT INFESTED. The RATS were larger than Chihuahuas! One came around the corner from the arch and hissed growled at us! They were climbing in and out of the refuse receptacles! There were quite of few either homeless/indigent persons there. One said that you have to urinate on them to get them to leave you alone. Then the individual proceeded to demonstrate. That rat did scurry away. There was lots of trash and garbage all around the arch.

Whenever we visit NYC we try to spend some time in the funky, vibrant and colourful Washington Square Park, which is a 9.75-acre public park in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan. It's a meeting place and center for cultural activity, dominated by the Washington Square Arch at the northern gateway to the park and the large fountain in front of it. The park has a tradition of celebrating nonconformity attracting many students from the surrounding NYU (New York University) and you could get high from just inhaling the smoke from all the cannabis joint being smoked without having to smoke one yourself 🤣 There was a diversity of people of all ages & nationalities enjoying the hot late summer sun in the park, playing chess, cooling off in the sunken seats next to the big fountain, together with vendors, artists and musicians - there was a slightly edgey feel within the park, but not in a bad nervous feeling way🤔

Very unique place! Super interactive with various stalls and food truck. The fountain was beautiful. Great place to relax with food or coffee from nearby restaurants and cafes. Could be a little noisy and crowded but very pleasant overall.

I always enjoy coming here but feels its changing and not for the better. Certain people ruin the experience behaving like idiots and unruly. Besides that its a chill park and you'll see all types of people from all different backgrounds. Which match the neighborhood. Since there are a couple of schools in the area you'll see plenty of college age people. Park has a fountain at its center which is also great for pictures park offers picnic areas, restrooms and playground. You'll find people panting like playing board games and much more. I've been coming here for years to chill and do some people watching. Today I was lucky to catch a free show of two bands performing.

If you are in Downtown Brooklyn visit DUMBO. You will enjoy the beautiful cobblestone and Brooklyn Bridge picturesque view. The water view is gorgeous. There are eateries and food trucks that are pretty good. Merry go around for children there is a fee. Diverse and eclectic neighborhood. Great place for romantic walks, family, and friends. Ideal place to take awesome pictures 📸 Parking is scare best to take train or bus. Pet friendly

Perfect view of the Manhattan skyline. Perfect for photographers, lovers and tourists. On a clear day, anyone can take great photos of the river, the skyline and the bridge itself. There is seating and a few food vendors. And you get an up-close view of the ferry as it launches and lands right next door.

Brooklyn Bridge Park is truly a hidden gem in the city. It’s very easy to reach, with multiple subway stations within walking distance, making it super accessible. Once you’re there, you’ll find it surprisingly quiet and offering fantastic views of the entire bridge, the opposite side of the river, and even the Statue of Liberty. Whether you’re here for a stroll, a picnic, or sunset photos, it’s one of the city’s most scenic and refreshing escapes

Watching the 4th of July fireworks from the park was truly an unforgettable experience! 🇺🇸✨ The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as families, friends, and strangers all gathered to celebrate together. I arrived early to find a good spot, and it was totally worth it — the view was perfect, with a clear line of sight to the stunning fireworks display. The park itself added so much to the experience — it was spacious, clean, and full of positive energy. People were picnicking, playing music, and enjoying the warm summer evening while waiting for the show to begin. Once the fireworks started, the entire sky lit up with vibrant colors and synchronized bursts that were absolutely breathtaking. There’s something magical about watching fireworks under the open sky, surrounded by a crowd that’s just as amazed as you are. It felt like the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day. I’m already looking forward to doing it again next year!

A great place to visit on weekends for families. We visited in October, and the park were having a lot of events for kids to participate. They had Halloween candy trial and most kids were wearing costumes. The park is organized and designed well, so you can see every animal on the map in a smooth flow. Many cool animals and one of our favorites were sea lions. They were so excited and swimming around showing tricks. The giraffes are majestic, and they even had the Malayan tapir. Sufficient bathrooms around the park, but limited food choices.

My kids and I spent the whole Saturday there, exploring the zoo, seeing all the animals, and enjoying the fun Boo at the Zoo experience. The Halloween-themed activities and experience booths were fantastic, and everything was very family-friendly. It’s the perfect place to spend the day with kids. We had such a wonderful time!

The Bronx Zoo is a wonderful place to visit! The animals are beautiful, very big, and well taken care of. The zoo is huge, and there is so much to see and explore. Walking around, you can spend hours enjoying the different areas, from the big cats to the tropical birds. It’s a great place for families, kids, and anyone who loves animals. I had a really fun and memorable day there.
