Italian restaurant
L&B Spumoni Gardens is a legendary Italian eatery that has been serving up Sicilian square pizza and frozen treats since 1939. Located in Gravesend, Brooklyn, this old-school counter is a must-visit for food enthusiasts in New York City. The signature square slice features a delectable fusion of molten cheese, focaccia-like crust, and tangy-sweet sauce.
This place goes way back so they must be doing something good. It’s a few blocks away from subway stations so it’s pretty accessible and looks relatively safe to walk around. They’re known for square pizzas & spumonis so we got those. You can order from the window outside and eventually eat at the outdoor tables or you can get a table inside. The square pizza’s dough is light & airy so you can eat a bunch, the regular slice is much more dense but thin so you can still scarf a few. They’re both baked fresh, that's why it tasted great. The spumoni we got wasn’t too sweet, had pistachio in it and tasted great.

Wonderful doesn't come close. We were a party of 10 including 3 kids, and we couldn't have had a more perfect afternoon. The food!! Yes of course the pizza but everything we ate was delicious -- mozzarella tomato salad, calamari, baked clams (to die for), soft and delicious chicken parm, the eggplant Sicilian ziti, the spaghetti marinara... Great inexpensive house chianti. And of course an incredible dessert platter. Thanks to the entire team - we will definitely be back!
Jeff M — Google review
Been coming here for decades. They have a full service restaurant with seafood and pasta. They have a walk up cash only pizza window with their famous squares. It is 4$ a slice/square - but worth it. They have a large outdoor seating area but can get chilly in the shade. There is usually street parking. I will post more pictures once I come for dinner at the restaurant. They have ice cream and spumoni. I tried the seasonal pumpkin flavor and it is delicious. It was not too pumpkiny or sweet - it was a nice pumpkin spice flavor. You can also buy tubs of ice cream, Italian iced and spumoni.
Nico H — Google review
True to their legendary status the pizza was amazing, round and square both a different delight in every bite . From the soft pillowy dough of the Sicilian to the cheesy goodness of the Round cheese both were delicious, the spumoni was a very nice touch to finish off a pizza pie meal , lots of fresh pistachio chunks and packed with flavor to boot. Thank you for the good time and great food.
Jeff B — Google review
The Sicilian slice had the perfect amount of doughiness and the perfect crispy bottom. We had the shrimp fra diavolo with linguini pasta. Pasta was cooked to al dente and paired very well with the red sauce. Fried calamari was tender, not chewy at all, and was delicious with the marinara sauce. Definitely coming back to try other items from the menu and the GELATO!
Mary — Google review
L&B Spumoni Gardens was a fun experience dining in and the Pizza was very good. I think an important note to make, their Sicilian pizza, which is the recommended one to get, is not like other Sicilian slices in NYC. It's more like a loaf is bread with the cheese and sauce on top. It's still very good but caught me off guard. I like the traditional Sicilian style better but I can appreciate what L&B is doing and I still very much enjoyed their pizza.
Kian M — Google review
Honestly if you’re planning a party, an event or just a birthday this is the place. I celebrated my birthday with family today, not only was the food amazing but they make you feel like family. Great experience! Thank you so much

Great spot! For quick and easy pizza or icee/ice cream stop or even to dine in. Recommendations to make reservation for a large party. Food is good and has very big portion so you will get full with left over to go home with.

Pizza restaurant
Restaurant
Lucali is an upscale eatery known for its brick-oven pizzas, calzones, and wine. The pizzeria, owned by Mark Iacono, has gained fame since opening in 2006. Its classic New York thin-crust style pizza is reminiscent of the city's most beloved pizzerias. The warm and stylish ambiance adds to the experience of dining at Lucali. It has become a popular spot, frequented by celebrities like Beyonce and Jay-Z.
We got there around 3 pm and they started taking reservations around 4pm. The earliest time available was 6pm. We got seated at 6pm. We got the cheese pie which was very thin and airy. I did not have high expectations based on some comments but I was surprised. It was vey good and worth the wait. The wood fire oven always produces the best pizzas.
Tamás K — Google review
Lucali in Brooklyn has that perfect mix of calm and buzz. The room is dimly lit, warm, and smells like dough and basil. Service is attentive without hovering, plates arrive when they should, and you’re never rushed. The pizza is exceptional: thin crust, crisp edges, and ingredients that actually taste fresh. Mark, the owner, was personable and welcoming. It’s simple food done perfectly, and that’s the whole point.
Michael D — Google review
Finally was able to try Lucali thanks to Dorsia members night. Loved the cozy environment and the staff was so friendly, really good local neighborhood vibes. The special for members night included pasta which was spectacular, a salad, a meatball (also incredible) and then still followed by a full pizza, calzone and rainbow cookies. Plenty of food for 2 full meals for the days after. The pizza is a thin crust style that you don’t find in too many places. The sauce and ingredients all delicious. Enjoyed everything about my experience.
Stephen R — Google review
Totally NOT worth the hype. Have to go early and make a reservation for 4-5 hrs later. They still make you wait for an hour. Service is terrible. Food is ok. We even got the wrong order. Calzone is one of the worst I have ever eaten- dry and heavy! Pizza and pasta are okay but can find so many better options with none of the fuss. Also, they are cash only.
Monkeyboi R — Google review
We planned our entire day around this place, so to say we were excited was an understatement! We got there an hour before opening but that wasn’t enough, we were able to get food to go only two hours later. We thought it was good, but definitely wasn’t in our top 5 meals of our trip so don’t be like us planning our day around it. lol. I wouldn’t go again to be honest, but it was good! Not $40 good, but like $30 good lol
Rachel R — Google review
This is my second time here and I made the mistake of adding artichokes to the pie instead of sticking with lighter toppings. The artichokes made the pie not as crispy. It would’ve been better to cut the chokes into smaller pieces, instead of a big chunk per slice. The crust was a bit too thick. That aside, the pizza was great, fresh ingredients, light sauce and cheese, not greasy, and thin. I’d recommend you try a small calzone. The crust was thin and crispy. The cheese seemed like it was a mix of ricotta and mozzarella. It was nice eating it with the marinara sauce. This place needs to turn their lighting up. It was too dim
Kevin T — Google review
Likely the best pizza experience we've ever had. The mood, taste, decor, people, and atmosphere were perfect. The candlelight dinner was so epic we left nearly speechless. Go, get on the waitlist, and make your pizza eating dreams come true.
Ben M — Google review
I want to hate Lucali — truly — because their reservation process is so strict and their food menu is so specific: It’s BYOB, cash only, open only a few days a week, and offers just a handful of items. However I just can't: the pizza is AMAZING. All the ingredients are homemade and fresh! And that’s exactly why it's worth all the effort to go and dine there. There’s always a line outside, and even if you manage to get a reservation, you still end up waiting outdoors before you’re allowed in to eat. :) Still, I have to applaud them. The hype is absolutely real — and well deserved.

Lombardi's Pizza is a historic landmark in NoLita, serving authentic Neapolitan pizza since 1905. Despite the changing trends in the downtown neighborhood, Lombardi's has remained a staple with its red and white checkered tablecloths and cozy atmosphere. While reservations are limited, it's worth the wait to savor their fantastic pies that have been selling out for decades.
Lombardi’s will always be favorite pizza spot to go to! You can’t miss eating pizza here whenever you are from NY or out of state. Amazing pastas and dessert as well. Great Service as well!! There are so many Italian restaurants in NYC but this one, one of the best with warm and welcoming vibes! Must try!
Hillary S — Google review
Have lived in NYC for over 20 years and have never tried Lombardi's. We wanted something new pizza wise so today was the day to finally experience Lombardi's. The pizza was very good, definitely within the top 5 or 6 NYC spots we've tried over the years and our dog even loved the crust! We did order takeout which took two plus hours to arrive. Next time we would dine here in person instead of waiting so long for delivery and in fairness, we live on the UWS so it is a long trip for delivery. All in all the pizza was certainly enjoyable.
A R — Google review
If you’re in NYC, Lombardi’s is an absolute must! The pizza is outstanding—crispy crust, fresh toppings, and flavors that set the bar for what real New York pizza should taste like. The staff is warm, friendly, and genuinely makes you feel welcome. The atmosphere is perfect—whether you’re on a casual night out or bringing family and friends, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger. A true New York experience that lives up to the hype!
Kelly S — Google review
Lombardi’s Pizza in Nolita delivers that classic New York slice experience with a cozy, old-school charm. The coal-fired crust has a perfect char, the sauce is tangy and balanced, and the mozzarella ties everything together beautifully. Fun fact: Lombardi’s is widely recognized as America’s first licensed pizzeria, opening its doors in 1905.
Manikandan — Google review
Established in 1905, Historic pizzeria with charming, old-school vibe and simple but tasty pizza Lombardi’s is known as the first pizzeria in America, and it has a charming, old-school atmosphere — very different from the typical New York-style pizza. The coal-baked crust gives the pizza a unique flavor, and while the pies are simple rather than fancy, they are still very good and satisfying. The service is friendly, but the CASH-ONLY policy is something to keep in mind. Overall, it’s a nostalgic, tasty experience for anyone looking to taste a piece of pizza history. Simple, authentic, and full of character.
Amin S — Google review
Stopped here on a whim and we were informed as soon as we entered that they only accept cash. Thankfully we’d be able to handle that, so we were seated. We ordered a house salad, a double pepperoni pizza, and a raspberry Italian soda. The salad wasn’t super special, but their creamy vinaigrette was the true star! The pizza was tasty and perfectly baked, but more cheese and a little less sauce would have made it perfect for us. The Italian soda was extremely refreshing and we look forward to trying the other flavors. At first glance it was a bit pale, but the flavor immediately put those doubts to rest!! The customer service was amazing and we definitely enjoyed our experience there. We walked out full, satisfied, and ready to take on the NYC heat!
Hyden B — Google review
I’d been craving pizza for a while and finally decided to give Lombardi’s a try. I’d always skipped it, figuring it was more of a tourist spot with its claim of being the first pizzeria in the U.S. I ordered the double pepperoni though and was pleasantly surprised. While I wouldn’t put it among the best pizzas in the city, it was solid. Lots of pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, and a pretty decent crust. Add to that the charming historic vibe and good service, and I’d definitely come back. Just a note though - it is cash only which I always find a bit frustrating though they do have an ATM in the restaurant.
ReedH — Google review
By far one of the best places we ate on our trip! Lombardis definitely left a lasting impression on us and our palates!! Delicious!! 🤤 The cauliflower crust was amazing! Not like the standard crust you buy in the grocery store. And I recommend their meatballs! You get 2, easily the size of baseballs, and they will melt in your mouth. Absolutely delicious! 😋 The restaurant itself was small but very nostalgic. Loved the history found on the walls. We had no wait to be seated, the staff were super friendly, and service was fast! Don’t miss this place!! After all, it’s the first pizzeria in the nation!

Pizza Takeout
Nestled in the heart of New York City's West Village, John's of Bleecker Street has been a beloved pizzeria since its establishment in 1929. This iconic eatery is renowned for its brick-oven pizzas, which feature a delightfully crisp thin crust and are served whole—no slices here! The restaurant's rich history is reflected in its walls adorned with celebrity photos and prestigious awards earned over nearly a century.
The pizza was excellent. The service was good there's nothing bad about the place. It certainly is a family friendly establishment. But I will say I don't think you can go wrong where you get pizza in the city. I think if you stop and get a $2 slice it would be just as good. And I'm certainly not knocking John's I'm simply saying that there are a lot of good pizza joints in Manhattan.
Steve — Google review
This pizza lived up to the hype it’s delicious. We got a half pepperoni and mushroom. We came on a Monday evening at 5:30 table for two and seated right awhile. We had our pizza pie with in 20 mins of ordering. Great atmosphere. The pizza is freaking good! Hard to have such a reputation and have people satisfied.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ John’s of Bleecker Street – New York, NY Disclaimer: This is my personal experience. If something doesn’t go as planned, I always recommend giving the place a chance to make it right. Most spots want to earn your trust. That said, here’s my take: I stopped in at John’s of Bleecker Street and had what I can confidently say was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The crust was perfect — crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with that subtle char only a brick oven can give. Sauce was rich and fresh, cheese was melted just right, and the toppings were balanced and full of flavor. Nothing greasy, nothing overpowering. Just a classic New York pie done at the highest level. The place itself is no-frills and filled with history. You can feel the legacy in the walls and taste it in every bite. Staff was efficient and kept the line moving without rushing anyone. If you're visiting New York and love real pizza, this place is a must. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just amazing pizza, start to finish.
Gregory W — Google review
Best pizza EVER! The crust was perfectly crisp and the taste was just indescribable. We ordered the margarita and we made our own pizza. The basil on the margarita was super fresh and it was so tasty. The waiter was also rly friendly. On the walls, there were picture of celebrities that have ate at the restaurant. I personally thought it was rly cool. Highly, highly, highly!! Recommend.

Annother New York institution I couldnt miss. Once again, I was very impressed. This was my favorite slice I had in the city! The place is comfy in a lived-in way, the staff is quick/efficient (mostly leaving you alone), and the pizza was perfect (especially if you season it). I thuroughly enjoyed my experience and I hope to go back again. Tip: The line builds fast so I would recommend a meal on the early side here.
Josh — Google review
Came on a Wednesday night, got a table for 2 quick. Was a full house it seemed. Ordered a 16inch cheese classic. Thin crust pizza. I enjoyed my pizza, definitely better than di Fara. Pizza was fresh, sauce had a bit tang taste to it. Overall some good pizza. I still haven’t found a pizza place that hit hits. Trying to find a joint where when someone’s asks what’s your favorite pizza place in NY.
Alisha B — Google review
Chicken parm is a real chicken parm. Pies of pizza are legit. Truly an old school, famous pizzeria. You walk into a time warp and in this day and age, that’s a GOOD thing. Staff is cool and polite. Prices are just fine, you’re in NYC what do you expect.
William S — Google review
I’ve wanted to try this place for years but didn’t have the time to wait in line. This time I waited about 20 minutes and got in. I added pepperoni and mushrooms. The sauce and pizza was excellent and worth waiting. It also came out pretty fast. However, I’m deducting a star because there are no refills on Coke. This is 2025 and that’s just wrong.

L'Industrie Pizzeria is a popular spot known for its classic old-world pizzas and creative flavor combinations. Opened in 2017, this slice joint has gained a loyal following for its ultra-thin crust round pies made with premium Italian ingredients. The signature Burrata pie, featuring zingy tomato sauce, grated mozzarella, creamy burrata, and extra virgin olive oil on a yeasty crust, is a standout favorite.
This is it! The hype is real! This is the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had. Lots of flavor from the grana padano, the sauce was deep and tangy, basil was fresh and beautiful. Crust was perfectly crisp, with just the right amount of chew. It’s worth the wait. On my trip I also tried best pizza, John’s of bleecker, Angelo’s, and I liked this the best by far. Service is impeccable as well.
Jason F — Google review
Overall the pizza is nice and probably one of the best spots to try New York style pizza. To me the flavours were not as prominent and the price/quality ratio was a bit low. This place often has a large queue and the staff is not able to cope with the demand even they all work hard. Sausage pesto pizza didn’t have as much sausage but it surely had the spots of cream cheese that they put on most of their pizzas. I wish the baked cheese had a more prominent flavour. The dough structure and crunch was really great though. The New Yorker pizza was nice but the flavour was very straightforward of course. Overall if you want to try the New York style pizza then I do recommend this place. Not sure I want to be back and try it second time though
Alexey S — Google review
In my NYC Summer 2025 Pizza Top 5 list, there's a shared second place. One goes to L'Industrie Pizzeria in Williamsburg. This is what I imagine a NYC pizza to be. The crust is a bit crispy, but not too crispy, not too little—just right. The dough is perfectly thin. The tomato sauce is fantastic. The cheese is subtle and not overpowering, and most importantly, there's no dripping grease on the pizza (unfortunately, like with many other NYC pizzas). Be prepared for standing outside for about 20 minutes (in NYC, the waiting line duration is always 20 minutes, no matter where or what you're on line for). The staff is treating you with the typical NYC roughness but everyone is still friendly. Don’t forget: Ya‘ll always get a smile back when you smile first! Around the shop, with a few standing tables—you usually get the pizza to go—you can still find the original, not-yet-quite-gentrified Williamsburg. But don't worry, everything is still harmless here. Highly recommended.

Just had the best pizza experience in Brooklyn, and it's no wonder L'Industrie is topping everyone's lists—it's the best for a reason! Tucked away in the heart of Williamsburg, this spot nails that perfect balance of no-fuss vibe and top-tier quality. I grabbed a classic cheese slice and the mushroom one, and holy cow, the crust is insanely crisp and thin without being floppy, with that ideal char that screams "made with love." The sauce has this rich, tangy kick that pairs perfectly with the gooey, high-quality cheese—none of that rubbery nonsense you get elsewhere. What sets it apart? It's not just the pizza; the whole setup feels effortless. Minimalist counter, friendly crew slinging slices like pros, and that fresh basil on top? Chef's kiss. I scarfed down two slices and was already plotting my next visit with friends—maybe the pepperoni or sausage next time. If you're in Williamsburg craving pizza that actually lives up to the hype, skip the lines at the tourist traps and head here. Hands down, one of my new favorites alongside spots like Martha's for that reliable quality hit. 10/10, would recommend to anyone who takes their slices seriously! 🍕

This is possibly the most hyped pizza spot in a city that's known for pizza, so I had to make my way over here to this Brooklyn spot. The line was present, but not too long - about 15-20 minutes or so I got the Burrata slice, which is just a basic cheese pizza, with some burrata on top If I had one word to describe this slice - it would be light. It was so thin, and so easy to eat. There wasn't an excess of anything - cheese, sauce, or thickness. The dough was probably my favorite part. The air bubbles near the top showed how well-fermented the dough was. It was very airy and fluffy overall. The only downside was I thought the bottom could've been cooked a bit more - it was missing that cracker-like crunch associated with other NY pizzas. While still cooked well - there was a good char on the bottom, better than most places, it wasn't quite at that absolute top level The mix of cheese & sauce over the top was very high quality. Like mentioned before, there wasn't a lot of it. I think I prefer a pizza with more cheese as it's a little bit plain for me, but the fundamental aspects of each ingredient are fantastic. I thought the cornicone on the outside was also very good The burrata topping was very nice, and probably the highlight for me. It's not something you see at most classic pizza places, and it added a super creamy nature to the sections where it was present This pizza cost me around $7, so it's on the slightly more expensive side when compared to a typical slice. I would say it's enough for a light meal, but don't expect it to keep you full for long. Overall, I think this pizza is excellent, and one of the best individual slices I've had. The artisan style is impressive, but if given the choice, I think I'd stick to the more classic NY-style variety. 9/10

We visited on a Sunday and arrived about 10 minutes before they opened at noon. We got in line, and it moved quickly — we ordered, ate, and were out in about 30ish minutes total. When we left, the line wasn’t bad, so I wouldn’t let the line intimidate you! We ordered the margherita, burrata, pepperoni, sausage pesto, and the New Yorker. My favorite was the pepperoni, especially with the hot honey dipping sauce.
Jackie L — Google review
In my opinion it is the best pizza in NYC that I’ve had. What I like about the pizza is it isn’t too heavy, more on the light side. The bottom is crisp with hardly any flop. I went to the Brooklyn location on a Monday, early afternoon. There was a banal line but it moved quickly. There are spots inside or outside to eat your slice.
Herman N — Google review
L’Industrie is an absolute bucket list spot and more than worth the hype. We arrived just as it opened and it was already starting to get busy right away. By far, these were the best slices we had during our time in NYC. We tried three different slices— the burrata, the L’Industrie slice, and the spicy salami — and each one was absolutely awesome. Perfectly crisp, flavorful, and unforgettable. A must-visit for any pizza lover. We shared 3 slices with the two of us and were super full after.

Scarr's Pizza is a retro-style pizzeria that offers a modern twist on classic New York City slices and subs. The owner, Scarr Pimentel, honed his pizza-making skills at renowned spots in the city before opening his own place. What sets Scarr's apart is its use of signature organic stone-milled flour, which creates a light and airy crust for their pies.
Scarr’s Pizza in the Lower East Side definitely lives up to the hype. The pizza has a really nice char on the crust not too soggy, not too firm just that perfect NYC balance. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. There can be a bit of a wait, but the line moves quickly and is worth it once you get your slice. The only small downside is that they don’t have fountain soda, which is kind of a New York pizzeria staple. The seating area looks nice, but I chose not to sit because there was quite a bit of smoke in the dining room coming from the ovens. Overall, great pizza and worth the stop if you’re in the area just maybe grab your slice to go.
John G — Google review
We decided to try Scarr’s based on its high Google rating and reputation as a cult favorite for NY-style slices. We each got a slice of pepperoni pizza. While the dough was decent and toppings were fine, the slice had dried out a bit during reheating—an unfortunate detail that can really affect pizza texture. The price also felt a bit high considering the overall experience. Not terrible, but not the slice of dreams either. In a city filled with outstanding pizza, this one lands squarely in the middle.
Ozge U — Google review
This pizza was pretty excellent, and the classic embodiment of what you think of as a 'New York slice' I got the beef pepperoni as my NY-style slice, and the mushroom as the Sicilian-style slice here They were both very good, but I'll start with the NY slice first What was the most noticeable here was how good the crust was. It was very cracker-like, maybe the most cooked undercarriage I've seen on pizza, without being burnt. It perfectly exemplifies the term "well-charred". I thought I preferred softer crusts to harder ones, but after having had this slice, it's definitely the opposite for me - once I realized how good a crust like this could be. Aside from the crust, the rest of this slice was also fantastic. The blend of cheese and sauce on the top tastes great, especially those bits where you see the browned cheese on top. The pepperoni was also super consistent; basically every piece was able to curl up into a cup on top The Sicilian style pizza was also nice. The dough was way more airy and softer here, but it worked as a different type of pizza. The part that I liked slightly less was that it was a bit sloppy as not all the toppings stayed on throughout, and I preferred the level of cook in the other slice, but the softer taste was a nice change of pace. For the price, each slice cost me around $5, which is not *super* cheap, but when you consider that these are a) meat/special slices and b) quite large, I will take that deal Overall, if people ask me where to find a great New York-style slice, this will be the first place I point to. 9/10

With anything in NYC, be prepared for a wait at this popular pizza spot in the city. They sell ny the slice, which is nice when you don’t feel like having a whole pie. Be prepared for a longer wait if you want to sit in dining service. Tried a slice of the Original and HotBoi, both great flavors. Only issue with the pizza is that they were floppier that I normally like, but great cheese and crust flavor on the original, and great mixture of sweet and savory flavor on the hotboi. Staff were friendly and efficient without making customers feel rushed out.
Dessa R — Google review
Very good pizza. When we walked in and sat down they brought us some bread. Figured it was an appetizer type situation, like chips & salsa or bread. Turns out it was just a different tables order. Other than that little mix up it was good. Great pizza. Atmosphere was cozy. Hot boi pizza was delicious.
Tyler — Google review
Accidentally tumbled in because I was nearby - turned out to be an amazing experience. Delicious, large, and affordable slices with a fun vibe inside with hip hop music playing and a retro diner vibe interior. The honey jalapeño pepperoni was amazing and the slices are so big that 1 would be enough for most people. Highly recommend checking this spot out.
Jae J — Google review
A very good slice of very crispy pepperoni pizza took 20 minutes to order and about a minute to eat. It was good. But it could’ve been more flavorful. It is not my top pizza in New York.

When I tell you this place has great pizza, it has GREAT pizza. I especially recommend the Hot Honey pizza. The vibes were so cool especially around 11 PM. Service was quick and staff were very personable. We had a great time, music selection was elite and everyone inside are super friendly. I would most definitely recommend this pizza joint!

Joe's Pizza is a renowned family-owned pizzeria in Manhattan, highly praised by various publications and a must-visit for anyone in the area. The founder hails from Naples, ensuring an authentic pizza experience with thin crusts and tangy tomato sauce. Its New York-style slices are a quintessential part of the city's food scene, best enjoyed while people-watching at Father Demo Square.
Since I was in the area I sought out a place to go that offered the best slice and this place came up with lots of very positive reviews, so I went. They were really busy/crowded around 1:30PM on a weekday, but it only took a few mins to place my order, which was just a slice of cheese pizza. Because they’re so busy, they are constantly popping new, fresh pizzas in the oven, so they have lots of great options to choose from by-the-slice, which looked great and definitely weren’t sitting out very long, but they put what ever you order in the oven and re-heat it when you order it. I took my slice, which was reasonably priced outside to one of the hi-top tables along the sidewalk and ate it. It was piping hot, but very tasty. I especially liked the crust/dough. It was perfectly sturdy, slightly crisp and very tasty. The sauce was OK, but nothing special. The cheese was stringy and pretty darn good. Overall – Very nice pizza! I definitely would enjoy a whole pie from this place! Give it a try!!

We stopped by Joe’s Pizza in New York with my child because it’s a famous spot featured in Spider-Man — my child’s favorite movie. It was very crowded, but the line moved quickly. We ordered two slices of classic sausage pizza — juicy, crispy, and you can add extra cheese on top. Prices are reasonable (we paid $10 for two slices). A popular and fun place definitely worth a visit!

Good quality takeaway pizzas. Good crust and more variety of toppings on offer. It's not the cheapest one, but it's definitely better than the cheaper outlets. I tried the spinach and it was delish. They have your usual condiments to add to your slice, like chilli flakes, garlic powder, grated parmesan and oregano. Washed it all down with a root beer.
Carlito — Google review
I expected the pizza to be better. Joe’s pizza quality is better in Brooklyn and at the 42nd and broadway location. I expected the pizza quality to be better - the guy taking orders completely ignored me and tried to ask the people behind me what they wanted to order and they were just looking at me lol - my bf and dog were saving a table for me outside. I guess they are not used to people coming in alone and ordering ? LOL . Overall it was a good experience but again I expected the quality of the pizza to better since I already tried Joe’s Pizza on many other numerous occasions at various other locations! It’s usually always packed at a joes pizza , but you could get lucky and catch it open when you want to order pizza when it is not so busy. But I get it, the pizza is good and it is popular! Also they are literally open all night like how god damn convenient is that - especially for our night owls like myself.! Photos are captured and attached to share my experience with you from Joe’s Pizza on Fulton! Thank you for your service Joe’s Pizza!

I'm not sure what the hype is about this pizza... I've had way better pizza than this!! The satff are nice and the line moves relatively fast. But I don't think it's worth waiting in the line for more than 30-40 minutes. There are only a few spots to sit and enjoy your pizza inside the restaurant and there are a couple of tables outside.

Pizza by the slice or a whole pie. Was a very popular spot! This was our first stop once arriving on NY and we loved it!! Felt very New York and not touristy! I got a slice of pepperoni and my fiance got a slice of pepperoni and supreme!

Discovered the very own @joespizzanyc and I couldn't be happier for sure... it's paradise for Pizza Lovers and SpiderMan's fan too... there use to be a time when kids called me Peter Packer and this was my moment... loved the vibe there and obviously the pizza as well.

It is definitely a very touristy spot. Do you need to go out of your way to visit? Not really, unless it is your first time in New York, then yes, it is worth a stop. Otherwise, it is the perfect place to fix that late night craving. There is always a line but it moves pretty fast.

Rubirosa is a cozy spot in Nolita, Manhattan, known for its reinvented Italian-American classics and thin-crust pizzas. The standout Tie Dye pizza with vodka sauce, tomato sauce, pesto, and fresh mozzarella is particularly popular and Instagrammable. Former Esca cook Angelo Pappalardo opened the restaurant after learning to make super-thin crust pizzas at his father's Staten Island restaurant.
Second time I've been here I'm not the type of person who goes to a place that only serves pies. I love good pizza, but it's tough for me to justify a whole pie and I'm gonna be honest. I don't really have people to go and explore different pizza restaurants with but this one I was like you know what I need to try this place and I don't regret it. They are focused on the ingredients And in my opinion the tie-dye pizza is a Perfect pizza I'm sure they're original is good too cause the sauce is good. This time around I put prosciutto on it and it was money the saltines and the sauce paired perfectly. Their pizza is high-quality for sure. It is about the right ingredients not about quantity of ingredients. It's not flooded with cheese and dough. If you're into football pizza, this will be disappointing. This is the type of pizza that in my opinion, you eat slow slowly and enjoy. God, I sound like a snob, but it's good pizza By the way, I ordered for pick The place is quite crowded and packed and hard to get a table I think at certain times. Just order a pick up and go eat in the park
Daniel B — Google review
The food at Rubirosa is absolutely delicious and lives up to its hype! I loved everything, and the sauce on the pizza is tangy and unique. Service was good, however I made a reservation and chose a time that specifically stated we would receive a regular table rather than bar or elevated table seating. When we arrived, we were seated at an elevated table with no alternate choice. I wish that our reservation selection was honored as we booked in advance and came on time. For me, it wasn't a big issue but it may be good to keep in mind when booking!
Nicole D — Google review
Highly recommend making reservations, especially over the weekends. If not, be prepared to wait OR quick to order for pick-up and see whatever gets to you faster: your pizza to go or your seat. We arrived with no reservations ima Saturday evening and the wait for either bar or table seating was expected to be just over 1 hour, which we expected. We ordered pizza via DoorDash for pick-up of the small half classic and half hot honey pizza. The hostess was friendly and placed us on the waitlist via text system. Our pizza for pick-up arrived first and it was easy to remove yourself from the waitlist. Now the pizza was good to share between two people. Nice thin crust, nice char, loved the cheese/sauce ratio (more cheese), now the hot honey pizza I wasn’t a fan of the soppresatta and should have subbed it for pepperoni. Overall great pie and would come back, but only with reservations or for pick-up. Not able to comment on service as we picked-up but the hostess was friendly.
Dessa R — Google review
When in New York you have to get pizza right… well I think they need to clarify when they say that and tell you to get Rubirosa’s pizza. Came here on a recommendation, risked the long wait, and man was it worth it. We sat at the bar and were helped by Sergio! Ordered two pizzas. One was a traditional fresco. And the other a half and half gluten free with honey pie and tie dye. The gluten free was phenomenal. They don’t make their crust in house but it is from a local establishment. The vodka sauce on their tie dye is impeccable. I loved that the crust was crispy! I devoured it all. The half and half is the way to go!!! All of that said, when in New York get pizza. But make sure it is Rubirosa’s!! Knocking it down and star because of cost- gluten free is smaller than non but still same cost if not more…

Best mozzarella sticks, pizza and tiramisu we have ever had! The Tie Dye and Rubirosa Supreme pizza were amazing! The staff were super helpful too. Thank you!

Definitely a restaurant geared for a younger crowd. But, we had a delicious dinner. We started with a Caesar salad and asked for A side of anchovies. The salad was generous and lightly dressed. We also started with an order of the eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was tender and the red sauce was Fresh and tangy. For our entrée, we shared an order of the cavatelli with broccoli rabe and Italian sausage. With that, we ordered a side of the broccoli rabe with garlic. Everything ordered was very good and I am impressed.

This might be the best pizza we’ve ever had! The Tie Dye with pepperoni was unbelievable. The garlic knots were also very good. Trevor did a fantastic job taking care of us both times we were there. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

Real good food, I know they are known for their pizza but honestly the appetizers were kind of stealing the show. The Tie-dye pizza was ok but the hot honey was soooo so good!!! atmosphere was amazing, little loud but great either way. Their house wine too was nice, have nothing to complain about

Nestled in the vibrant NoLita neighborhood, Prince Street Pizza is a delightful pizzeria that serves up square pies inspired by local streets. With Sicilian family recipes passed down through generations, each pizza boasts handcrafted sauces and a perfect balance of crispy yet fluffy dough. The unique toppings reflect their philosophy: if it pairs well with pasta, it can top a pizza! Signature offerings like the Green Machine pesto and the spicy pepperoni pie are crowd favorites, showcasing an irresistible blend of textures and flavors.
Every single time I'm in NYC, Prince Street Pizza is my absolute go-to. I make it a point to try new pizza spots on each visit, but genuinely, none have ever topped Prince Street. The Naughty Slice is my all-time favorite – it's an explosion of flavors that hits all the right notes! Yes, there's always a line, but the service is incredibly quick, so it moves surprisingly fast. Pro tip: Grab your slices and head over to the nearby Elizabeth Street Garden. It's the best way to enjoy your pizza!

First time here, in the heart of little Italy. The original to a chain of pizza places. I frequent the Los ANGELES location, and love their pizza. Quick service, same great taste and quality. Good prices and large portions. Highly recommend, and would definitely return! Friendly helpful staff. Clean areas to stand and enjoy your slices

I stopped by Prince Street Pizza since I’d heard the name and it was on my way. There was no queue, so I could immediately pick the slice I wanted. I went for the spicy vodka square slice, and I really liked that you can choose exactly which slice you want — middle piece, corner square, etc. The pizza was very tasty, and I’m glad I tried it, but I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to visit again. Still worth a stop if you’re nearby.
Tom B — Google review
Tried Prince Street Pizza because it’s so hyped and always has a line. The slice was okay, but honestly felt a bit overrated for me. The pepperoni slice was very heavy and quite greasy — I get that it’s their signature style, but it was just a bit too much. The place is packed and moves fast, but it’s really more of a “grab your slice and go” experience rather than somewhere you’d want to stay and enjoy your food. One thing I really did like is the wall covered with photos of movie stars and celebrities — it gives the place a cool, old-school NYC vibe and makes the visit feel iconic in its own way. Personally, I liked Ben’s Pizza near Washington Square a lot more — the slice there felt more balanced, and overall just tasted better to me.
Rustam I — Google review
Oh man… this pizza just tastes like bread. I’m really not sure why people seem to like this place. I was excited to try the “famous” pizza, but I left completely underwhelmed. The dough is soft and fluffy. The flavor of the toppings gets lost in the bready flavor of the pizza. It’s also a tiny shop. Eating on the street wouldn’t be too bad if the street wasn’t also packed with people waiting to eat here.
Brandon P — Google review
Prince Street Pizza is chaos in a box. The line snakes around the corner like you’re waiting for concert tickets, and then you take that first bite of the spicy pepperoni square and immediately understand why. Thick, crunchy crust, rivers of cheese, pepperoni cups holding molten oil like little chalices of glory — it’s not subtle, it’s not polite, it’s just New York telling you it loves you in the loudest way possible. Bring napkins. Bring patience. Leave your self-control at home.
Shaun C — Google review
Prince Pizza has always been one of my favorite late-night spots, and the pizza itself is delicious no complaints there. But tonight was disappointing. I ordered four slices, and they put them straight into the box. I asked if they needed to be heated (because they definitely didn’t look hot) and I was told they just came out of the oven. I trusted that… only to get to my car and bite into stone-cold pizza. The flavor is great, but the information wasn’t. So here’s my advice: don’t take their word for it always ask to have your slices heated. It’ll save you the letdown. $48 down the drain .
Linely R — Google review
The most incredible pizza you will ever try, the staff all of them are super friendly. If you see a long line don’t get discouraged by it, I can assure you it’s completely worth it and the staff is soooo fast, you’ll get your pizza in less than you think. Never tried anything better, I went back every day of my trip just to have that pizza because I don’t know when will be able to have it again (so dramatic but so true 😂) Thank you so much Prince Street Pizza Staff for your amazing work and to the owner for having such a rocking place! Di Fara Pizza is a legendary pizza joint in Midwood, Brooklyn that has been serving up storied slices since 1965. Founded by Italian immigrant Domenico DeMarco, this old-school shop is considered the ultimate pilgrimage for anyone interested in NYC pizza lore. The pizzeria is known for its basic slice but also offers toppings like soppressata, prosciutto, and broccoli rabe.
This incredible hole in the wall in Brooklyn had some of the most incredible pizza I’ve ever had. Crust was crisp, cheese was fresh? And sauce was just right. The guys behind the counter were incredibly friendly and willing to engage in casual conversation. Service was great. Placed our order and got our slices in a reasonable amount of time. Not thing I could complain about. If you’re in the area, stop in for a slice. You’ll be incredibly thankful!

I got the chance to visit with my family last weekend, and the pizza certainly blew all expectations. I read a couple of reviews beforehand to get a feel for the place and recommend it to my family when we arrived. The service was quick, and the pizza did not disappoint. It was one of the best slices I've ever had; all the toppings blended so well, and it was a decent-sized portion! I highly recommend it and can't wait to visit again if I'm ever in New York.
Daniel L — Google review
I was expecting it to be a busy place with lot of crowd, but was surprised to find no one over there, little sad that how it lost its charm in the last few years. Pizza was decent, I honestly felt Lucali to be better than this, but yeah surely it’s among the top pizzas of mine in NYC. Crust is little too hard.
Shanthan P — Google review
I'm not a native to NY so I'm sure my opinion is going to differ from the vast majority of the local 5-star reviews. I hit up Di Fara in a symbolic foodie style pilgrimage to find the pizza that best symbolizes the original Brooklyn slice. Di Fara has been around forever and its mystique is pretty well known in the pizza world... I found it to be a little less magical than I hoped for. I got a regular pie and when I opened the box what I found was a slightly disappointing and definitely greasy pizza that without its storied history wouldn't hit the three stars I'm giving it. Mr. DeMarco has been making these pizzas for over 50 years in the same location with countless... seriously countless awards and recognition over the decades, which makes it worth checking out :)
Curtis S — Google review
This post will be something of a journey, because that is literally what it took to get here. First off, Di Fara had been on my bucket list for 10+ years given it's history and the recommendation of Anthony Bourdain and Dave Portnoy. When a relative of mine moved to Manhattan in 2021, I finally had an opportunity to visit and Di Fara was right on the top of my list. I arrived in June of 2022 and decided to soak in the entire NYC vibe and walked from midtown Manhattan all the way to Di Fara! A travel distance of 10 miles on foot! The entire experience of getting there was exhausting but great! I was super hungry and excited to boot! However, on getting to Di Fara, I had realized few things. 1. The original owner (Domenico) had passed away just 3 months before I arrived. 2. They were only taking orders from the window...no seating which was not fun after traveling 10 miles on foot. But, I came all this way, so I ordered 2 regular thin (because I thought I would like that better) and 1 Sicilian. Each slice was over 5 dollars, a steeeep price to pay. The pizza itself was good not great. I even really liked the Sicilian better! But it didn't wow me like a few other places did. The pizza was also warm but not enough to really melt the cheese. I was actually very disappointed at the time and it stewed on my quite a bit. However, on reflection, I still liked the pizza and I understand that Domenico's children were still making all the pizzas at the time, even just 3 months after his passing, so I think that is great. If I am around the area again, I will give them another shot, but I won't walk 10 miles for them again haha!
Kian M — Google review
So worth the trip for a ny slice. The sauce was so delicious, I could have eaten a bucket of it, the basil and cheese ratio was perfect, overall the traditional slice of pizza was my favorite pizza ever! The square Sicilian slice was delicious too, just not so easy to eat; much thicker and heavier slice. Very little seating available, but we got lucky, it was a gorgeous day, and we sat outside on a 3 person bench and waited for our pizza, the 1 table outside became available so we got to snag it. There's a window out front they can hand your order right to you.

What did I just eat? Is this actually authentic New York sliced pizza? This is the place that everyone made famous for? For absolutely no reason I couldn’t even finish my slice and I had to give it to my friend not worth the hype. This was just bad, come and figure it out by yourself. Make sure not to get a pie. Just try out a slice and then you will realize.
Alisha B — Google review
Yikes. This place has gone down hill. I never followed the hype. I have friends that live close by and I found it only ok. I prefer other pizza places. I was always having a slice or two during birthday parties and was like this pizza is average. To give the place a fair shot, I tried a pie fresh out the oven (thank goodness it wasn't a long wait) and still found it only ok for me. This past week I was in the area and had a slice. The crust was too hard and ashy, not even slightly chewy, sauce was non existent, and the cheese definitely was changed. It was almost rubbery. L&Bs changed since the owner past but not as bad as this place did. I hope old pops isn't turning in his grave and he can rest in peace. He deserves it after slinging pizza for so long.

Nestled in the heart of Coney Island, Totonno's Pizzeria has been a cherished destination for pizza lovers since 1924. This iconic eatery serves up thin-crust coal-oven pizzas that are simply irresistible, earning accolades like the James Beard America's Classics Award. The ambiance is steeped in nostalgia, featuring classic black-and-white checkered floors and vibrant red booths adorned with memorabilia from New York City's rich history.
Worth the hour and half subway ride from midtown! 10/10 pie and 10/10 service. Unfortunately doesn’t seem like they’re doing dine-in at the moment but we got a takeaway pie and loved every single bite! Family owned business, and all the workers are so lovely <3

You have to go inside and order your whole pie, pay and provide your phone number. They will call you when the pie is ready for pickup. No eating inside so you can take your pie out and eat on the curb, like we did … I have to say that one pie is great for 2 people and the dough is exceptional.

Totonno’s in Coney Island is a true NYC classic. The pizza is excellent — you can really taste the quality ingredients and the care that goes into making it. The staff are wonderful, straight-up authentic New Yorkers, which makes the whole experience even better. The old-school atmosphere feels like stepping back in time, and you can sense the history in every corner. This place is a real gem and such an important part of New York’s pizza story. Definitely worth the trip.

Incredible! Real New York pizza in fact the best! Totonno's has been in Coney Island for 100 years! This establishment is a landmark and beautiful historical part of Brooklyn. You have to order in advance and no inside dinning but trust me you will never forget why NYC has the best pizza in America after you have had Totonno's!

Visited Totonno’s Pizza today. Located in Coney Island, this institution is only open on Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5 PM. There is a lot to love about this pizza.   The crust was baked just right. Each bite you heard a satisfying crunch unlike other pizzas that are doughy. The end/crust was puffy and not flat. Lastly, the sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese round out your sensory overload! Coal fired pizzas take on a different flavor vs. wood and gas stoves. If you are in the area, you must try one of the few remaining coal fired pizza restaurants in New York City. Recent regulations have made it extremely costly for these restaurants to remain in business.  They only sell one size starting at $27 for a margarita. Visit them and check out Coney Island along the way.

Totonno’s is a classic. It used to be better back in the early 90s, but maybe my taste buds have changed. The last time I ate there was just before Covid. I think the sauce used to have a bit more zing or something, I recall it lost its luster. I read in a NY Times article that this place is now for sale. That’s probably for the best. Keep the coal oven running if it’s grandfathered in. It would be a shame to extinguish it. I’ve always eaten here when it had indoor dining, so that’s why I gave it 4 ⭐️. That being said, I wouldn’t take the train out now just to be told I had to sit on a curb to eat my pizza. (That’s for rubes or pizza nerds, of which I am neither.)

This place is an old school spot - they don't make anything like this anymore. It was absolute pizza perfection, eaten on a stoop. The crust was perfect, the cheese wasn't greasy, the sauce was easily the best tomato sauce I've ever tasted. Easily my number 1 pizza ever. Worth every calorie. Thank you guys so much!

Mama's TOO! Pizzeria in West Village has quickly gained popularity in the NYC pizza scene, especially after receiving a glowing review from the NY Times. Known for their square slices and traditional triangle slices, this pizzeria offers fresh ingredients, delightful flavors, crispy crusts, and an appealing appearance. The venue is usually bustling with limited seating, so taking orders to go is common.
One of the best square pizzas in NYC. The crust is just perfectly crispy but still soft in the middle, and definitely not too hard or crunchy like some other places. The vodka sauce slice was super saucy and delicious. The standout though was the bufalina - which was also super saucy but sooo flavorful and loaded with chicken. Also love that they topped the vodka with some fresh basil + grated cheese and the buffalo with scallions after reheating. Definitely on the pricier side, but in my option, totally worth it. If you can, try to come at a less popular time/day so you don’t have to wait too long.
Laura E — Google review
Tried the Chicken alla Vodka sandwich at Mama’s TOO. The crispy chicken cutlet was well-seasoned dressed with lots of vodka sauce and the sandwich came loaded with two big burrata and a flavorful pesto sauce that added richness. The bread was a bit too tough toward the end, making it hard to finish without some effort. It’s a hefty sandwich—great for sharing between two people. At $23, it’s a pretty aggressive price point for a sandwich, even in NYC. It’s filling and flavorful, but the value is borderline. Also, the place is always packed, so getting a seat or table can be tricky if you’re not going off-hours. Overall, it’s worth a try if you’re curious about the hype or love a good chicken sandwich, but it might not be one I go back for regularly.

We stopped by Mama Too’s around 5 PM on a Monday and were happy to find no line. We tried the chicken cutlet a la vodka sauce sandwich, the cacio e pepe slice, the angry nonna slice, and the vodka square slice. Everything was really good, but the chicken cutlet and the angry nonna were our favorites. Both were super flavourful and perfectly balanced. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and craving great pizza and sandwiches.

After seeing so many yummy looking photos and videos on instagram i decided to head over to this pizzeria to give it a try for myself… this was one of the best vodka slices i ever had. as soon as i took my first bite i had to pause and process bc that CRUNCH…. lethal. So So So yummy i can’t wait to come back and try more slices.

Great pizza! Favorite was the angry nonna. Vodka slice was not heated up enough, was slightly cold. Really small restaurant with not enough seating for demand. They should put benches outside the restaurant to add a few extra spots of seating. Cashier was a little dumb and refused to take your order unless you said the slice name exactly how it was listed. Very weird. Slices were on the pricey side (~7 a slice) good if you’re in the area but wouldn’t wait in a long line for it.
Amelia T — Google review
One of my favorite pizza spots in Manhattan. I would recommend going with their Detroit style, square pieces with thick chewy dough and nice crispy edges. Be aware this place gets busy. Make sure you order ahead during peak times so you can get around the tourist line. Always better to order a whole pie vs getting a slice warmed up.

i think about this pizza all the time… it’s so good. Super flavorful, fresh, great crust. Their sorbet is also yummy too! the staff is extremely nice and attentive, they noticed that me and my bf were planning to share our slices and offered to cut it in half for the both of us. 🥹

There was a long line but totally worth it!!!! I like their pizzas so much!! Crispy crust, soft warm and tasty cheese - perfectly seasoned. The placed was packed and barely have seats to sit down but it's okay. The place smelled so good actually. After we ordered, we also wait for our order for a while.

NY Pizza Suprema is a well-established pizza joint located near Madison Square Garden, offering whole pizzas and pizza by the slice. It's a popular spot near Times Square, with numerous options for classic New York-style pizza on every block. The restaurant is known for its quirky offerings like the Upside Down Sicilian slice, where the sauce and cheese are swapped. Customers rave about the delicious Meat Lover and Suprema pizzas, praising the explosion of flavors and perfectly crispy yet chewy crust.
Superb family owned pizza restaurant with excellent food at great prices. Handbags a slice and enjoy, its amazing. Lots of different options and lots of classics. A must do NY restaurant and a great place to grab a slice and a break. Very close to madisson square garden if you are visiting there.

Yummy in my tummy! Epic hot honey, then sausage pizza right out of the oven, and a slice of pepperoni. Was in the city for a couple of weeks and this place was right down the street. While it’s a bit pricey for an NYC - walk-in, eat and get out, pizza joint, it’s worth it. Stopped in numerous times and will hit it again the next timeI’m in town.

This is a great spot for a classic New York slice. The location is perfect, right by Hudson Yards and Penn Station, which makes it super convenient. Service is fast, so you can grab a slice and go without waiting long. The pizza itself is very good. The crust has a nice balance of crisp and chew, and the sauce is flavorful without being overwhelming. It really delivers on what you want from a New York style slice. I especially liked the burrata and meat lover options, and the mushroom pizza was excellent too. The ambiance is fine – nothing fancy, but that’s not really the point here. It’s all about the pizza, and they do it well.

Amazing slice of pizza — truly a quintessential New York experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a lineup of pies like they’re auditioning for your stomach, and yes, you can even go wild and add extra cheese. The slice itself? Chef’s kiss. Crispy, balanced, and just the right ratio of everything. Was it the best pizza I’ve had in my entire life? Honestly, no — Canadian pizza still has my heart (they flavor the crust at my go-to spot, and that’s hard to beat). But this? This is officially the best slice I’ve had in the U.S.
Emily B — Google review
Is it possible to give the embience of a NYC pizza joint a higher rating than the slices themselves? I struggled with the idea, but I am going with it. I prefer my NY pizza (crust) just a bit crispier, especially the cheese slices. But that you just be me. But, look, it's a fine place, and if I were regularly in the neighborhood, I would drop by for some slices.

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in the city, but they struggle with keeping seating clean, and you should expect to get thrown out on your ear as soon as you’re done eating if things are busy. I understand if things are moving you need to free up seats, but Jesus Christ let me get things collected.

Louie & Ernie's Pizza is a classic, family-owned pizzeria that has been serving traditional thin-crust pies and slices since 1959. Originally started by a pair of brothers in Harlem in 1947, the pizzeria later moved to Pelham Bay and now operates in a charming house-turned-restaurant. The menu offers an array of brick oven pizzas with various toppings, including original combinations like Pizza Salernitana and Pizza Tartufato.
Louie & Ernie’s in the Bronx is a true hidden gem, nestled in a neighborhood where change creeps in slower than a New York cab stuck making it's way through rush hour (and that’s a good thing!). For every bustling block in Manhattan to North Brooklyn, there are places like this, where the only constant is the familiar faces of its dedicated patrons. For over 65 years, locals have made their way here in search of pies that remind them why they fell in love with pizza in the first place. This is pizza perfection. The margherita slices are simply unforgettable, and the sausage pies are unique to this spot. Situated on a quiet corner of the Country Club neighborhood, it’s easily overlooked—no flashy signs, no bright lights, and no one begging for your attention. Louie & Ernie’s doesn’t set out to impress, yet it manages to leave a lasting impression. Louie & Ernie’s embodies the spirit of old New York, where the pies have character, the sauce has perfect balance of flavor, and the cheese has just the right “sheen" and nuttiness. This establishment isn’t about reinventing the wheel; it celebrates the beauty of tradition and the pleasure of savoring a slice that takes its time. Hands down, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. With many options to choose from, a classic cheese or sausage hits just right. *Cash only establishment*

🚨🍕Pizza Alert! 🍕🚨 This place is absolute fire!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Let me tell you, the crust is perfection 🤤, the sauce is out of this world 🤤, the cheese is so melty and delicious, and the sausage… omg 🤤. Just perfection in every bite. The calzone? Hands down, the BEST I’ve ever had in my life 🥖🔥. I honestly can't believe I waited this long to discover this gem. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family. It's that warm, cozy, “Mom-and-Pop” vibe that makes you want to stay forever. The pizza is so good, I couldn't stop eating—even when I was full! 😅 And if you know me, you know I eat pizza ALL the time. This spot has officially topped every other place I’ve ever been. 🍕💯 The staff is amazing, too. Even when they’re busy, they greet you with a smile and the best attitude. 😊 Seriously, don’t wait—get here NOW. Like, right now! You won't regret it! 😍

Yes it’s always in the “top 10 best pizza in NYC” lists — and it’s great. But it’s not worth a trip from more than a borough away. We had the margarita (which has great mozzarella and a very bright vibrant red sauce) and a very good sausage pie (the fennel sausage is great!).

I’ve had their famous sausage pie before and it was great. However, it totally failed to live up to the hype today. Ordered a sausage slice and it literally looked like sausage there’s thrown on the slice. No care in presentation whatsoever.

Was told by so many people that this was the spot to go visit. I finally went ahead and listened and pay them a visit, I went with the family and ordered 2 large pies one just cheese that was for my kids and one cheese and sausage that was my wife and I. I must say we got our first pizza which was the cheese pizza large (the kids pizza ) and I was so disappointed in how burned the underneath was I mean my kids started eating and immediately started making weird faces there mom and I asked what’s wrong they replied this thing is super burned at first we were like no way it’s fine just eat it but then we decided to try it and were absolutely stunned on how charred it was underneath I mean I had coal fire pizza before but this was definitely left unattended for a while then served it was super burned. We were very angry that the kids had to go through that but we’re also not the type of people to complain at the moment just to avoid any animosity nor any smart remarks on behalf of the staff. We then received our second pie and that was much better I even had to stop eating my portion which was half the pie that had cheese to offer it to my kids cause they were very hungry there mom had her side which was the sausage side and finished hers. All I’m saying is that if you’re going to visit this location tell then from the very beginning not to burn the pizza or leave it too long cause you will not enjoy it. This fits as a learning lesson through our process it sucks cause we were really looking forward to this but hey it’s ok maybe next time. Take care folks and enjoy just be sure to mention not to burn the pie and you should be good.

The sausage pizza is delicious 😋 like. I want a pie of it now.

I drove over 30 minutes to Louie & Ernie’s Pizza in the Bronx after reading tons of glowing reviews—and I truly wish I hadn’t wasted my time or money. I ordered an extra-large pizza with extra sauce, extra cheese, and half garlic, sausage, and pepperoni. The smell in my car on the ride home had me hopeful, but that’s where the excitement ended. For a whopping $46.00, I expected something special. That’s well above the average price for even a loaded XL pizza in the city, and honestly? I can’t imagine how bland and dry it would’ve been without the “extra” sauce and cheese I paid for—probably like eating a matzo cracker with toppings. And even with the extras, it was still dry, the cheese was sparse, and parts of the crust were burnt to a crisp. The sauce lacked any depth—no basil, no salt, just a plain, uninspired tomato base that brought nothing to the table. Totally underwhelming. Oh, and be aware—cash only, which just adds another layer of hassle in this day and age. Deluso decisamente. Save your money and your gas—this one’s all hype, no heart

Paulie Gee's is a renowned pizzeria located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, known for its gourmet wood-fired pies topped with unique and locally sourced ingredients. Since its opening in 2010, it has become the go-to pizza destination in the neighborhood. The menu features creative thin-crust pizzas like the popular 'Hellboy,' topped with soppressata and hot honey infused with chili.
We come here for the vegan pizza for which they have multiple options. Nothing boring either and there is different kinds of mock meat (sausage, pepperoni). Love the interior of the restaurant. Service has been consistently good both times we’ve been here. Portion sizes are great. Pizza is so good I have to control myself and not want to order two pies for myself! My only suggestion is to offer one or two vegan apps as well. Definitely one of the top places to get vegan pizza in the city.
Rachel B — Google review
I’ve been going to Paulie Gee’s for years, which never disappoints me. Lately, I’ve mostly just grabbed slices from their little joint around the corner for a quick fix, which is always solid. But with family in town this weekend, I finally made a proper reservation to sit down at the OG spot in Greenpoint and have a whole pizza experience. And still so good! Paulie Gee’s makes Neapolitan-style pizza, and it does it right. In a city flooded with pizza hype and constant “best-of” lists, crowning one king is impossible. But judging by the original Hellboy pie, it’s up there. It's sweet, spicy, crispy, and soft—just a perfect combo. The restaurant itself is super chill. There is no scene, just good vibes, good pies, and a cold beer. It's the perfect spot to hang with friends or show off NYC pizza culture to visiting family. Depending on your crew, they’ve got different pie sizes, and while they have other menu items, my advice is to skip the distractions and stay focused on the pizza. One standout worth calling out: their fennel vegan sausage. Even if you don’t usually go for meat alternatives, give it a try. It’s packed with flavor and a perfect option if you’re trying to stay veggie without missing the “meatiness.” Again, NYC pizza is a crowded game, but Paulie Gee’s has been consistently great for years, and that says everything. If you haven’t been, go. If you’ve been, go again.

🍕 Paulie Gee’s – Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of Brooklyn’s best-kept secrets? Paulie Gee’s, hands down. This place doesn’t just serve pizza—it elevates it. From the moment you walk into their rustic, candlelit space, you know you’re in for something special. The vibe is hip, the staff are passionate, and the menu will have you drooling before you even sit down. We ordered two pies and that was it—I was done in the best way possible. The dough is soft with just the right chew, the crust has that perfect crisp, and the toppings? Creative, fresh, and full of flavor. As a vegan, I felt seen. Their vegan menu is stacked with options like house-made vegan sausage, cashew ricotta, and Numu mozzarella. No compromises, just full-on flavor. Parking can be hit or miss depending on the time, but it’s worth the hunt. Whether you’re plant-based or just pizza-obsessed, Paulie Gee’s is a must-visit. Trust me—I’m vegan, and this place is the truth. Boomsauce Scale: 🗑️ B – basura (trash) 😐 BS – basic (come on! Try harder) 👍 BS + – better (Yo! That's better) 🔥 BS ++ – best (alright! Alright! Okay, I just had dinner here and must confess that I have mixed emotions. I’ve dined here dozens of times so will try to be balanced here. On the positives, the service was very good and friendly and the atmosphere remains generally intact from the ‘old’ Paulie Gee before the mgmt. change. The Hellboy pizza continues to be a showstopper! The expanded menu looks interesting, though we sticked to the classic pizzas that we generally order. That being said, there were a few things that were unusually below par. One of the pizzas was significantly burned. I know that Neapolitan pizza will generally have a little burn on the edges but this one was just too much. We order a vegan pizza but it was extremely dry, it clearly needed more tomato sauce. Finally, the dough in general felt more dry than it used to be, giving the pizza a more crunchy feeling vs the more chewy and puffy dough it once had.
Santiago G — Google review
I tried the Bill and Sal's Excellent Adventure IPA on draft and was not disappointed. My gal had a Paulie Colada which substituted amaretto instead of rum and she loved it. The Daniela Spinachi with the tomato sauce instead of just white was absolutely delightful. The arancini was amazing with the melted mozzarella inside and tomato sauce outside complemented it so well. Our server, Jordan was warm and welcoming, super attentive, and so on her game. The flexibility on the sauce was a big deal and made for an even better meal. The atmosphere is classic old nyc brick and wood with pizza related cultural artifacts. Oh, yeah, easy street parking! Are you kidding me? C'mon. Loved it and will absolutely be back.

Una Pizza Napoletana is a modern pizzeria run by self-taught pizzaiolo Anthony Mangieri, who has made a name for himself in the Neapolitan-style pizza scene. After opening and relocating several times, Una Pizza Napoletana finally found its home in Manhattan. The menu features 12-inch wood-fired Neapolitan pies with minimal toppings, showcasing the quality of ingredients like mozzarella di bufala and sweet tomato sauce.
The dough is incredible, impressively fluffy and perfectly burnt. There's very little variety on the menu, pies are nearly identical with only a few topping options to mix it up. You can only order one pie per person too. Bianca pie with long hots was delicious. Margherita was too light on sauce, had about three pieces of basil, and was kind of watery. The restaurant design is sleek and sophisticated, the staff were friendly, including the doorman which is a weird thing for a restaurant.

Overall a great experience. Reservation: hard to snag a spot but I got lucky in booking at 9 am two weeks before. Can do a walk in for 1-2 people and ask for bar seating if you're willing to to wait Drink: I had the Italian cola and highly recommend it. It's refreshing Pizza: I had the Margherita with extra topping of peppers (gives a nice kick to it). The pizza itself was incredibly well made. Minor criticism is that it does not come sliced. Also, it can be challenging to eat since the middle of the pie is thin and the sauce can be a bit watery. This is just how they make it. Taste wise incredible and filling Dessert: this was the highlight of my night. The cremolata is made fresh by Chef Anthony every morning. It was absolutely fabulous. I can't recommend it enough Staff: they are extremely polite and courteous. They want you to have the best experience and are always willing to share their suggestions Price: $75 pp with tax and tip

5pm walk in and turning up at 4.30pm you will have a chance with 2, perhaps 3 or 4 but that is a lottery depending who is front. Otherwise is very difficult to go without booking. The main receptionist however is very professional and personable and despite obvious frustrations with this system it is managed well. The main event of course was the pizza and is a particular style. In short, limiting the salt in the dough and adding on top means it is less evenly distributed however it allows for faster dough development with the yeast. The flours used (apparently a constantly changing mix) are high protein and have very good flavour on standalone basis. However, it is a hard to handle wet dough meaning the rise is actually coming from a lot of steam release not from gluten structure so this is a much much more heavy pizza then you think from images which give impression of light cloudy texture. The moisture content of sauce also (as you can see from images) is therefore a bit high and could do with slight reduction to give pizza more depth of flavour in sauce. No doubt is a good pizza but best in world if you include Naples, Caserta etc which specialise in this type of pizza but will slower developed dough I don’t think is an accurate assessment. Light pizza comes from strong gluten and fast cooking and should contain therefore a lot of air and this did not so to describe as pillowy other than how it looks is not how I would describe this pizza I would say actually it is quite dense but springy. Is very good and the chef is handling dough to pizza one by one so consistency is exceptionally high but is a personal taste that this was a bit heavy in fact and unevenly seasoned. Would recommend if you are in area early to walk in, to go specially you must really enjoy this type of pizza and enjoy a heavier version of it. Eating more than one for sure would be a challenge.

I don’t eat pizza often, and only when it’s authentically Italian…and I can attest that this pizzeria lived up to its hype. The ingredients tasted so fresh and the texture of the dough was excellent. Each pizza was too big for one person in my opinion so we weren’t able to try more starters or dessert, but I’d love to go back! Thankful that my friend snatched a reservation!

Long review short, this alone was worth going to NYC for. Definitely get a reservation before you come. I don’t have any experience with not getting a reservation, this was my first time, but from what I heard if you don’t get a reservation, you might not get in. I got a reservation for October 30, 2025 at 5 o’clock. Reservations were sold out so soon after (less than two minutes, as I heard before. So be prepared!). I heard this is ranked the world’s best, and couldn’t wait to see if that was true. I had authentic New York style pizza, deep dish pizza, and made pizzas in a pizza oven myself before. We live about 3.5 hours away from NYC, and I love coming. This time, this pizza was 75% of what I was coming for! We spent all day there, and arrived at Una Pizza at around 4:47. At 5 o’clock, they opened and we were given a seat as close to the oven/kitchen as possible! We tried both of their Italian soft drinks. I was pleasantly surprised by that and enjoyed the hour and a few minutes we had to wait for our food. We got a Bianca and two margarita pizzas. I came here, definitely expecting a different style and flavor profile compared to other pizzas I tried. I knew what it might taste like, but was still extremely amazed by the flavor of the high-quality ingredients they use. I usually like meat on my pizzas, but this pizza was no doubt the best pizza I ever had. Both were so good. I don’t think I could pick a favorite! One pizza is enough as long as you get maybe an appetizer and/or a dessert. I got the almond cremolata. I don’t care for almonds that much, but they weren’t overpowering and that was really good! It’s a decent size of ice cream, but I would prefer more, maybe 25 to 50% more, especially for that price. That’s just a preference of portion, not something that disappoints me or gives it less stars in my review. Our service was great. The food was great. And I have no complaints about the difficulty of getting a reservation, because now I understand why it’s difficult: There’s demand — because it’s the best in the world. Good job, Una, and thanks!
Thomas Z — Google review
I and my wife read about the best pizza in the world, according to the Top50 Pizza world and we took advantage of our honeymoon in USA to try una pizza napoletana. The reservation must be booked 2 weeks in advance and it was pretty hard since the tables are limited but after a couple of attempts we succeeded. The restaurant is cozy and well designed with the wooden-fired-oven at the center of the attention with the great pizzaiolo Anthony Mangieri behind it. As an italian pizza passionate I can definetely say that the pizza was delicious: super light and well balanced. I really appreciate the simplicity of the menu: there are just few pizzas to choose and one pizza of the day. Desserts were amazing as well: I suggest the almond cremolata. Una pizza napoletana is the perfect place for a intimate dinner for special occasion like anniversaries, birthdays or just for a nice dinner with a mate.

Thank you Anthony and Christina for one of the best moments of this year. Olive oil is simply fantastic. And the pizza, Well, pizza is exactly that, the best pizza in the world.

Incredible pizza. Worth the wait. In the top 3 NYC Neapolitan without question, if not #1. Fluffy and flavorful. Bold yet delicate. I’ll dream of this pizza. Waited in line around 3:45, got a late reservation for later that night around 9. About half of the 40 person line may have gotten in the same day.

Pizza restaurant
Joe & Pat’s NYC is a casual Italian eatery located in Staten Island, known for its house-specialty thin-crust pies and other Italian dishes. While it may require a bit of effort to reach this spot, the journey is worth it for pizza enthusiasts. The restaurant's charming decor adds to its appeal, with a cloud-painted ceiling creating a unique ambiance. Visitors praise the upscale vibe of the shop and appreciate the attentive table service and cloth napkins.
This is the best pizza I’ve ever had—period. I said it!! I had to go twice this week just to be sure of what I’m saying! And let me officially let the cat out of the bag—I only order the Cauliflower Crust!! If you’ve read any of my other reviews then you know I’m the last guy who would ever even try that kind of crust—I’m a purist!! (I thought) I also ordered the traditional with the regular thin crispy crust because ihad to compare—and there is no contest—the cauliflower crust is the only way to go!! It’s crispy, tasty—and you’d never know! I’m on a flight back home to LA wondering when I’ll get it again! And make no mistake, it ‘aint just the crust, the cheese, the ‘adult-style’ Italian-spiced red sauce, the perfectly cooked veggie toppings—it all makes this place an exciting hour of sit down pizza! The obligatory pizza-house salad with iceberg lettuce, marinated red-peppers, cucumber, Black olives and traditional red-wine vinegar dressing is a 10! I also had sausage and green peppers which was exceptionally good. I look forward to going back and trying the pasta! The place is perfectly vintage with a great old-school vibe, comfortable wooden tables and chairs, a large rounded bar with plenty of stools and a friendly helpful staff. This is solid and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Clearly my favorite new NYC restaurant!

We were very hungry and went here on a Saturday night a little after peak hour. A lot of tables opened at 9pm. The decor is nice. The music is extremely loud. The air conditioning is pretty even but it’s hotter towards the kitchen. We got the pizza royal. It’s supposed to have pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, mushrooms, and peppers but I think the meatballs were left out. We saw steel wool plugging in the bathrooms.

Twas the night before the NYC Marathon and we needed a place to load up on our carbs to be race day ready. Joe & Pat’s had the perfect pastas to achieve this goal and I’m feeling more ready than ever! I got the Penne Vodka with the breaded chicken and it was delightful. The vodka sauce was not overwhelming, I thought it was quite nice and the chicken was good too. Although I do like that they cut the chicken up and mixed it into the pasta, that does make the breading lose its crispiness which I wish was still there. Very good pasta nonetheless! The bread on the side was super soft too with a very very smooth olive oil.

Nice vibe and good solid thin crust pizza that’s nice and crispy. We got a tri-pie and thought I wish there was a bit more cheese in the mix, the flavor combination of the pesto and vodka sauce was excellent. I’d come back to try some of their pies

Crispy. Great sauce. Perfect amount of cheese. Very thin. Maybe a little too thin. I ordered it well done. It’s $33 and it was ready for take out in 15 minutes. Delicious, but pricey.

More of a bar restaurant vibe. Best thin crust I have ever eaten. Other menu items are really good also. The vodka pie is so good I can't ever wait for it to cool before I jump in. Great cocktails Love this place.

I made a reservation for this place for 6 pm on a Saturday and we (party of 2) got put in the back of the restaurant — in some sort of enclosed alley between the inside seating and the back yard seating. There were propane gas tanks next to us, no music, and the only view of anything was a stucco exterior wall. On top of that, our waiter came by right as we sat down and asked us if we wanted drinks, we said we needed one minute to look at the menu, she did not come back to our table. Even after I made serious eye contact with her several times lol. About 20 minutes passed by without any service so we left. I’m extremely disappointed, as I have heard the food is very good.
Kaylee B — Google review
NY style pizza here was awesome. Glad to have found a good sitting down place for this, and super easy to get into. Get the vodka one! Skip the garlic bread though, it was not very good. We also got a decent cesar salad with slightly charred grilled chicken. Would come back for just the pizza and would leave happy!

Pizza restaurant
When it comes to iconic New York City pizza, Di Fara Pizza in Brooklyn is a must-visit. Established in 1965 by the legendary pizzaiolo Domenico De Marco, this family-run restaurant has been serving up some of the city's best pizza for decades. Using imported Italian ingredients and a traditional oven, each pie is crafted with care. Despite its unassuming appearance, Di Fara has gained a reputation as an institution in the city's food scene.
This is a smaller location of the Brooklyn staple. It’s right down by the water and way more quiet which to me was a god thing. No wait time. Needed a snack so grabbed a slice and a soda. Slice was tremendous with the right amount of char on the bottom. Had a couple of tables out front if you’re in the mood to sit outside. Only minor complaint was it was probably 20% too expensive for what it was but when in Rome. Get the slice!
Steve S — Google review
A great experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was my first time having authentic NY pizza so it was different than I expected. It was very thin and super crunchy. I would definitely go back and grab a few more slices.

Happened to come across this place after trying to find a nearby pizzeria and fate was on our side. This is by far the best, crunchiest, most flavorful and sauciest pizza I’ve ever had. Even the cheese slice alone had so much flavor. Highly recommend!!!
Nancy M — Google review
Nobody there at around 1:30pm on a Friday. Tried one of the meatlovers slices. Crust had a crispier undercarriage than most pies I had tried in the city. Toppings were very tasty. If you like the cracker crisp this would be for you.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a summer Friday and it wasn’t too busy. The service was fast and atmosphere was nice and AC was blasting. We got cheese and pepperoni slices and the pizza was VERY good. Crispy crust without being burnt and not too greasy. Overall I would definitely come back and I keep thinking about this pizza ever since I had it!
Carlin R — Google review
Was planning on grabbing a slice of pizza at a very famous pizza shop yesterday and a friend of ours suggested we try Di Fara instead. It was mid day on a Sunday and there wasn’t a wait for the pizza which really surprises me after trying it. The cheese pizza and meat lovers were both delicious. The crust is crispy/slightly burnt and there isn’t a lot of grease. The tomato sauce was amazing and I think I could put a full pizza down by myself from Di Fara’s!
Carter K — Google review
Clean and clear of judging this pizza by its price, the crisp of its crust and the level of tomato sauce, cheese and topping ratio was on par to give this pizza an overall crunchy and flavorful bite. Some restaurants make their pizzas with poorly drained artichokes/tomatoes/veggies leaving a soggy soaked-through crust. Not Di Fara. Pizza parlors like Di Fara have a dedicated craft to making that crust crispy and is generous on the toppings. We ordered three slices and then went back for an extra. Price wise, the square slices are small for $7 a piece. Go for the lunch special from noon to 4pm and get a mini pie for $20. I cut all the slices in half and topped with more Parmesan cheese, so note that when you see my videos and photos. My family consensus about this place compared to the many nearby pizza joints around Fulton St puts this in the bottom two of our list. However, Di Fara is still in our rotation of pizza places to go for being a self serve, no fuss, sit down eatery with free pizza condiments like Italian spice and Parmesan cheese.

Di Fara Pizza has made it to South Street. Earlier this year, Domenico "Dom" De Marco, who opened the OG location, passed away--this man was the pizza maker who changed the face of pizza-making in NYC over the course of decades and hand-made nearly every single pie served at Di Fara since 1965! if you have never been to the Avenue J location, go there as it is an influential part of pizza history in NYC. the new Di Fara location is nothing like the old one--new modern interior, very airy, a good amount of tables both inside and outside, and this location is not cash-only (card is accepted!). the interior is very new and well maintained--super brightly lit. the pizzas on the menu are on display where the order counter and oven are. ordered two "Regular" slices (plain cheese pizza). while nothing will be the same as the pizza at the OG location made by Dom De Marco--the pizza at the new location is very good and consistent. it's a NYC-style thin crust slice and it is satisfying. the crust has crispness that transitions into a soft interior. easily foldable, no flop. the sauce + cheese mix together nicely and produce this savory layers on top of the crust. the signature chopped basil on top of it all. It all combines into one tasty slice of pizza. Slices at Di Fara are $5 each + tax + tip. the staff are friendly and nice. i asked for one of my slices to be reheated and they obliged bc i wanted it extra hot and that is really how all pizza sb be served! Di Fara South Street is worth a visit. the pizza to me is between 4 stars and 5 stars but i am rounding up to 5 stars for Dom! wish i reviewed the Midwood location when he was slinging pizza but i was too busy enjoying his masterpiece pies to care about snapping pizza pics or think of ways to put to words what that pizza will always be which is delicious.

Roberta's, a renowned Bushwick pizza institution, has expanded to Manhattan's work district with a third-story restaurant and outdoor rooftop deck near Penn Station. The vibrant atmosphere is perfect for team Happy Hours and the food remains consistent with its bubbly Neapolitan crusts. The menu features Brooklyn-style food with an emphasis on pizzas, such as the highly recommended Bee Sting. The cocktails are equally impressive, and the bartender can even craft custom drinks to pair perfectly with your meal.
Tucked right next to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Robeta's offers pies and single slices. I was the first customer as they had just opened. I got two slices one pepperoni and one Margarita from the first bite the dough was cooked perfectly, the right amount of cheese and was super fresh. Definitely the best slice I had on my trip and will be my first trip on my next trip. The mural on the wall really elevated the place and gave it that Brooklyn Edge.

Great location especially if you are going to an event near MSG. Forgot pictures of the pizzas but they were really good. They are not huge pizzas but definitely big enough for the 2 of us. Salads are quite large to share and the grilled bread with the cheese is delicious Definitely a solid place to eat. They have an outdoor patio, indoor seating and a take out/ slice counter. It’s a bit pricey for a pizza/ pasta place but I guess it’s the location.

Roberta’s Pizza at Penny Station is such a hidden gem in New York! The location is super convenient, and the pizza… oh, the pizza is absolutely delicious — perfectly made, full of flavor, and with that authentic taste that wins you over right away. What I really love is the little details: they have a bathroom (which is rare around here!), and right outside there’s a lovely square where you can sit and enjoy your slice in the open air. It makes the whole experience even more charming, with that laid-back city vibe. It’s the kind of spot that combines convenience, amazing food, and a touch of charm in the atmosphere. A place I truly loved discovering and one that’s already on my list of must-stops! 🌿🍕

We had a small issues which was corrected immediately and we could not have been happier! When we were ready for our check Jema, not sure if she was the GM or AGM came out to make sure all was good! She was just as amazing as her staff! Please keep this staff, now a days good staff is so had to find, I know because I am constantly looking! It is so wonderful to eat at a restaurant where the staff is happy and like there jobs! Thank you for a great meal and experience! We will definitely be back soon!

Really delicious meal here. I had heard a lot about the pizza, so was excited to try it. However, the pizza was actually not the star of the meal. The stracciatella and anchovies was far and away the strongest item we had. The caesar salad was also phenomenal, but the cheese was amazing. The pizza was decent as well, but if we came back, we would likely lean on the appetizers more!

Very much enjoyed my experience here. The servers were all kind and friendly. We had a little bit of a wait for the food, but the atmosphere was very very enjoyable. The rooftop vibes were perfect for a relaxing post-work hang. And the pizza was DELICIOUS.

Juliana's, located under the Brooklyn Bridge, is a modern space known for its classic and specialty pies cooked in a coal-fired oven by pizza legend Patsy Grimaldi. The restaurant has historical significance as it was opened in 1990 and beats its famous neighbor, Grimaldi's, not only in quality but also in its slightly less touristy nature. The thin-crust pies are exceptional, especially with arugula and pepperoni.
For years I’ve been told that NY style pizza is second to none. I had the pleasure of dining at Juliana’s Pizza in Brooklyn, NY. The pizza was delicious, flavorful and melted in my mouth. The combination of the sauce, crust and cheese was like something I’ve never experienced before. Our family was served by “Trimell C” who was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu and was truly a great resource, his recommendation didn’t steer us wrong. The restaurant is warm, well lit and inviting. There was a constant stream of people coming and going, with great reason since their pizza is next level. Rate 1000/10, and cannot wait to go back for more.

You should especially try the margarita. The right dough, quality products, and a great oven—what more could you ask for? Four of us came with our family, and we couldn't finish two medium pizzas. The portions are filling and delicious. You can enjoy the saying, "Quality is no accident." Finally, if you like green lentil soup, definitely try it here. :))

Hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve had in New York! The Margherita came out literally steaming — hot from the oven, with that perfect thin, blistered crust and fresh mozzarella melting into the sauce. The tomato flavor was bright and balanced, and the basil added the perfect touch. The meatballs were also incredible — tender, juicy, and drenched in rich tomato sauce. The vibe is cozy, bustling, and authentically New York — you can watch the chefs working the red oven while the whole place buzzes with conversation. Totally worth the wait!

An almost too cozy environment, but fortunately a table was available that didn’t have an immediate neighbor on one side. The restaurant decor and ambience was perfect otherwise, and the pizza was delicious. Great sauce, delicious mozzarella and really fresh toppings. We came in just as they were reopening for afternoon rush…. There were two or three other tables seated when we arrived, and within 10 mins every table was full, and for good reason. Definitely worth multiple trips, and we will return.

Amazing pizza. The best pizza we had in new york, made in a coal oven. You can taste the authenticity in the sauce and fresh mozzarella. No wait in line and they bring the pizza quick. Will always go there again when in New York

Redefined great pizza, among the absolute best ever. Impossibly thin crust without sogginess or being burnt. Delightful fresh and bright feeling sauce. Seated quickly as a party of 3 as the line moved very efficiently. Not even a shadow of a complaint and wish I lived nearby to return!

Visiting Brooklyn, New York for the first time, we stopped by Juliana’s for dinner. Juliana’s is a classic Italian spot serving wood-fired New York–style pizza. The vibe feels authentic — most of the staff seemed to be Italian themselves. As a table of two, we waited briefly in line before getting seated inside. We ordered the Margherita pizza and the White pizza with mushrooms. Both are well-known choices here, so it was a no-brainer. The pizzas came stacked on top of each other, and we got the smallest size for both — perfect portions for two people. The pizzas were excellent overall — maybe not the single best I’ve ever had, but definitely flavorful, well-cooked, and satisfying. The White pizza with mushrooms stood out for me, though the Margherita held its own. Both were classic thin-crust, New York–style pies done right. Pricing and serving size felt fair. One critique: I’d love to see Juliana’s expand their menu with more specialty pizzas beyond the usual tomato-base or white options. Overall, a great dinner spot in Brooklyn. I’d happily return next time I’m in the area. Last visited: August 23, 2025

While the service and atmosphere are still great, the pizza has reached its lowest point. I’ve been coming here for years, but this time I’m definitely stopping. As an Italian, I have to say the pizza has become the worst in Brooklyn. It’s a pity, because they have a great oven that could produce an excellent product, but that’s no longer the case.

Bleecker Street Pizza is a popular pizza shop located on a bustling corner, known for offering affordable slices and whole pies until late at night. Situated in a vibrant area of New York City, the street is lined with an array of enticing food shops, vintage stores, guitar shops, and artsy boutiques. Visitors can indulge in delectable Italian specialties at Faicco's Italian Specialties and explore gourmet offerings at Murrays Cheese.
In my Summer 2025 Pizza Top 5 list, Bleecker Street Pizza comes in third place. Bleecker St. Pizza is hyped by several NYC bloggers. I can understand the hype. The slices are very tasty. I had a Margerita (Cheese) a Peperoni with Jelapenos. The crust is a bit too crispy for me and the Mozzarella dominates the slices. The tomato sauce is great. OMG, the jelapenos blew me away - I thought I was used to hot food. I looove the level of spiciness! The ice-cold Coke saved me. The bit too much fat on the pizza can easily be wiped off with napkins. Overall it is a typical NYC pizza with pretty good quality and definitely worth trying. The shop has two seating areas inside and one outside on the busy 7th Avenue. It's not exactly charming; there are TV screens everywhere and the rooms are very spartanly furnished. Overall, the shop fits in very well with the neighborhood, on the border of East and West Village, where five of New York's top pizzerias are located. I guess I was very lucky because on my visit there was no waiting line at all! I recommend Bleecker St. Pizza.

We went on Saturday night and we queued twice for around 5-10’. Not too bad. The best pizza was the champions 🍄‍🟫 one although a bit too much cheese. The classic pizza was good but the sauce a bit too sweet for us. The pepperoni square pizza was not fully cooked. The dough didn’t feel fully cooked. We should have returned it as we didn’t finish it/enjoy it. We would have preferred if instead of a ricotta, there would have been a pizza with a blue cheese like Gorgonzola for example. The staff was super kind and the atmosphere inside/outside is very friendly. Prices aren’t too expensive and there’s the option of buying slices, which we loved. Best part? How thin and crunchy the dough was.

Best late night snack! And this is a great spot for it. I admit that I was skeptical and didn’t think I would eat a whole slice. Ended up eating a slice and a half. We could have eaten a whole pizza. Great crust!! toppings simple and tasty. Long lines but it moves fast. Lot of people grab and go. They are making the pizzas fresh. Very tasty, very NYC, pop in and get two or 3 slices!

Solid pizza slice shop down in the village. It’s gonna be your go to place if you’re hitting in the bars in the area. They have plenty of seating for an nyc pizza shop and a good selection of pies. Always stop in once a year on a Friday to start our New York weekend trip (coming from VA). Greg is always very welcoming and he's always there when we (fam of 5) stop in. Never been disappointed in anything we order and we've tried every pizza on the menu. This place fills up fast and always so busy but worth it. We always make sure to have left overs to eat at the end of the night (after cruising NY). Would have posted more photos but the kids already started eating.

On a corner of Bleecker Street you can visit euphoria if you so choose to. Bleecker Street Pizza is a flavorful punch of a slice, well positioned amongst the hierarchy of New York pizzerias. The inside is unassuming, a lot like a million other places but whatever is going on in that oven is the truth. When we stopped by there was a decent sized line but they do keep it pushing well. Despite the amount of people indoors the place is still pretty clean and there is an order to all the madness going on around you. Lining the walls they have photos of celebrities who made the trek (or swiped a Metrocard) to enjoy a slice here. Like any pizzeria they offer a lot of different slices but since we’ve heard this place was one of the best slices in the city we opted for a regular cheese slice, no frills to make sure we were hearing correctly. After getting our slice and sitting outside (yes, they do have outdoor seating but it is hard to come by), we were ready to dig in. Here’s our careful analysis: the crust is undoubtedly New York style. Firm, crisp, not too much give and not burnt to high heavens like a New Haven slice. A little flop to it but a firm underbelly to the slice, which seems like an over evaluation, but trust that it is not. The first bite was incredible. The cheese is stretchy and light, the sauce rich but complimenting the cheese. Easily one of the 3 best pizza slices in our lives based on the first bite alone and by the final bite we were questioning if it was the best period. Needless to say, Bleecker Street Pizza is not an if you’re in the city or an if you’re in the area excursion; this is a go out of your way and eat this slice place. Phenomenal and trying to find excuses to come back for seconds ASAP.

While exploring Bleecker Street, we stopped by Bleecker Street Pizza and tried a slice of the Nonna Maria — and it was absolutely awesome. The slice was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily up there with the best pizza we had in NYC. Unfortunately, we were already full from trying a lot of other places, but I’m so glad we made room for this one. Definitely a must-visit for pizza lovers in the city.

Joe's Pizza is a renowned counter-service pizzeria that has been serving classic New York slices since 1975. With locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, it offers an authentic NYC pizza experience with thin, crispy crust, gooey cheese, and slightly sweet sauce. This family-owned restaurant is known for its generous portions of authentic Italian cuisine and friendly staff. The Williamsburg location in Brooklyn has gained fame for its delicious pizzas.
Bought a few slices of pepperoni and combo. The pepperoni was a good sized slice covered in pepperoni. Add some pepper flakes and this tastes great for a late night bite. Pepperoni is their most popular and they get purchased as soon as they come out of the oven. The combo is a solid choice as well if you want a little more of everything on your pizza. The green peppers have a good crunch to them and it’s generously portioned with mushroom and olives too. Lines move pretty fast despite how long they can get even at late hours. The staff are no nonsense and quick to get you your slices and pies. The general atmosphere is busy with lots of decor proving how long they’ve been around from all the celebrity photos over the years. Generally not much in the way of seating, it’s mostly standing space which is fine inside and outside. Can get pretty hot outside so it’s nice they have a front window open to let some cool air in to offset the hot ovens.

Probably the most famous pizza joint in NYC — and for good reason! There are several Joe’s Pizza locations around the city, but the Carmine Street one is the original and has that classic, historic vibe. I got a pepperoni slice and it was really good — fresh, hot, and full of flavor. It’s cash only, but there’s an ATM right at the front, so no problem there. A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic New York pizza!

It's a New York City staple, a slice of cheese pizza will light up your heart. Slices come out of the oven hot, and there's enough foot traffic to ensure it doesn't sit around. Joe's pizza is one of the best Top 10 for NYC pizza in my opinion. The dough is nice and fresh well done is a must...cheese and sauce as a whole phenomenal. The staff and servers are friendly and polite. Lines aren't too bad, and move quickly. The stream of tourists is a good indication of how popular this place is. There's a park across from it to sit and eat...100% recommend!

Cash only! A no-nonsense place to get a solid slice of pizza or a whole pie. I enjoyed the cheese and the mozzarella slices the most especially after adding some oregano and garlic powder. I also noticed, If you give a tip the worker will often heat your slice before handing it over. This can be really clutch if you happen to get it by the slice, you can get unlucky with one of the last slices from what they have out.

Food: 4 Stars Service: 4 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Value: 5 Stars Sanitary: 4 Stars Overall: 4.2 Stars Note: CASH ONLY Joe’s Pizza in NYC has been on my food bucket list for ages, and I finally made the stop. I still remember watching Worth It on BuzzFeed years ago when they crowned Joe’s as the “most worth it” pizza, so there was definitely some nostalgia walking through those doors. I ordered the classic cheese slice — simple, timeless, and honestly the best way to judge a good pizzeria. It didn’t disappoint. The cheese was fresh and melty without being greasy, the sauce had that perfect tang, and the crust… chef’s kiss. It had just the right thickness with a crispy crunch that somehow still stayed soft inside. Exactly what you want from a New York slice. In today’s economy, finding something tasty, reliable, and filling feels like a small win, and Joe’s definitely delivers on that comfort factor. It’s nothing overly fancy, but that’s the charm. It’s just solid, satisfying pizza that hits the spot. Would I come back? Absolutely. It may not be life-changing, but it’s definitely a staple worth trying — especially if you grew up watching the same food videos that made Joe’s a must-visit in the first place. xx kellychan360

Emily is a charming eatery founded by the couple Emily and Matt Hyland, offering a diverse menu of wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, rustic small plates, and pastas. The pizzeria is known for its creative pizza categories such as reds, pinks (vodka sauce), greens (tomatillo sauce), and whites.
Absolutely delicious and will definitely be back! Had four people on a Monday night before happy hour ended. We got the following: - Appetizer olives - Nguyen wings - Emmy burger - Brender pizza - Emily pizza - Happy Hour cocktails, wines, and beer All items were so yummy and delicious! Good portion sizes and flavors. Would recommend everything on the menu we had. Service was efficient. There were only three-ish parties at the restaurant around 6:30pm on a Monday so they were attentive to our table. On their windows they have a lot of accolades. We can definitely see why… it was so delicious. Excited to go back and try their other menu items!

Legendary place. After trying all kinds of remakes, I finally got myself to Emily to try the original World-famous Emmy Burger, and I must say it's worth the hype. The ingredients are very tasteful without being overreaching, very well balanced. With no doubt, the Emmy sauce is so good it's hard to put into words. They basically invented a new flavor. Its spicy touch combines perfectly with the saltiness of the fluffy pretzel bun, the sweetness of the caramelized onion, and the acidity of the pickles. I expected a little more flavor intensity from the dry-aged meat, and it would've made the whole experience unsurpassable. However, it is one of the best burgers you will ever have. And the fries... crispy and addictive! If you are in the city, you MUST gift yourself a visit to this cozy place. No other item of food has had a bigger impact than this masterpiece of a burger. They changed the game. They made history. Hail to the queen, hail to Emily 👑 PS: Will come back for their pizzas 😉

The burger at Emily has been a fixture of top lists in recent years and it's easy to see why. Great beef, tasty sauce and sweet caramelized onions on a surprisingly soft pretzel bun. It's a very unique burger that does its own thing. A refreshing take which I really enjoyed and recommend to anyone who appreciates a good burger. Price a bit on the higher side. Chicken wings and fries were okay. Reserve your seats a few days early to make sure you get seating.

I ordered the colony for delivery (DoorDash) and needless to say… I won’t be getting pizza from this place again. $26 for this??? Where is the mozzarella? And did they run out of pepperoni and jalepeños or something? And the honey??? Also, who cut this? Do you see how uneven the slices are? It looks like the even skimped on the sauce! How can you charge $26 for this?????? Idk if this is one of those places that are better in person, but after receiving this sad excuse for a pizza (and spending as much as I did!), I don’t think I’ll even bother paying a visit to the actual place. Save your money. There are way better pizza spots around Brooklyn.

I only got a picture of the pizza here (called The Beeze, which was pretty great), but below the pie was the burger (with fries) that was incredible and what stole the show for me. So juice of the patty and the sauce melded so perfectly, I could not get enough of it. The burger certainly lives up to its hype and is a must try

Today my husband and I decided to visit Emily. We drove for three hours, and when we got there, we found out it was closed for an event. Despite this, even after learning we'd traveled so far, they didn't turn us away. We ordered their signature burger, and it was amazing! It was the most delicious burger we've ever had, and for dessert, we ordered banana pudding, which was also delicious! As a bonus, the owner gave us her cookbook. The place is simply incredible, the atmosphere is amazing! Thank you to the owner for creating such a wonderful place where the food is prepared with love! We will definitely come back again!

Speedy Romeo is a popular eatery located in a former body shop in Clinton Hill, offering wood-fired pizzas and classic Italian dishes. The restaurant has expanded to the Lower East Side, where it collaborates with Katz Deli to create the Pauls Boutique pizza topped with pastrami. In Bed-Stuy, patrons can enjoy St. Louis-style pizza and traditional Italian fare, including meatballs and a kid-friendly pizza option.
Speedy Romeo has some of the best pizza in the city. The crust is just PERFECT. Thin but with enough consistency, crunchy in all the right places… just wow. We order a pizza approximately once a week and are always impressed. We like eating there too - it’s casual and the food is delicious. Good wine and craft beer selection. Their Caesar salad is top notch. Just go and thank me later. 🍕

Came here for a quick lunch with a friend! I got a margarita pizza with an extra topping, and my friend got stuffed peppers. Hers came out way before my pizza which took a weirdly long time. It was pretty good, but shouldn’t have come out 10 minutes after my friend got her dish. Service was fine.

Great neighborhood spot the service was super swift and moved quickly! Very kid and family friendly which is nice! Went there with my niece and sister. We got two pizzas and spaghetti along with two Lambrusco! I enjoyed the time there the Burrata pizza was just my favorite, the pasta was okay a little greasy but overall great spot! Pizzas are about $20 each fairly medium sized slices! More on the expensive side but good! Also got the chocolate s’mores brownie cake it was good and spongy sweet but not overly!

I had a quick lunch here last week and I’ve been coming here for years and it’s a great spot. It’s more on the expensive side but the pizza is good. I ordered the burrata pizza which was my favorite. And then the meatballs one. I ordered a drink I didn’t enjoy and the bartender noticed and offered me something else instead. I really appreciated that.

Found this place on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list, which denotes establishment that have high quality food at reasonable prices. Speedy Romeo definitely lived up to the description. I went with some friends and had four different pizzas so we could try a few things. St.Louie - Bar style pie, where the pickled peppers and provel cheese shine Dangerfield - a deconstructed meatball sub and my wife’s favorite King salami - nice meat lovers pie, I was excited about the fennel salami ( finocchiona ) but couldn’t really taste it with all the other flavors Truffle shuffle - this was my favorite one, pepperoni with a little truffle ranch made for a nice savory experience I will definitely be back to try the pasta

As a St. Louis transplant, I’ve spent decades searching for a St. Louis style pizza in NYC to poor success, but everyone pointed to Speedy Romeo as my last, best hope. So, for better or for worse, I’m going to endeavor to compare this pizza to the square beyond compare. The wood-fired crust at Speedy Romeo does not resemble the cracker-thin St. Louis slab, but it sure is tasty. These sauces and toppings feel too high falutin to be found in my favorite St Louis takeout, but, oh, I enjoyed them, too. The cheese- I made sure to order a pizza with provel cheese- the cheese instantly took me back home. It hit the mark and even made me a little homesick. I loved it and will be back soon. In the end, Speedy Romeo felt a little bit like New York, a little bit St. Louis, but it was mostly its own unique and delicious style. I’d recommend it to anyone from the Lou, anyone from the city- anyone at all.

Amazing pizza. Great wings (so long as you get them well done). On our first visit, the gentleman who took care of us could’ve absolutely been friendlier and more welcoming but the girl who helped us out on our last visit was great. Unfortunately, I don’t remember her name but she had a really nice accent. One thing I absolutely must note is that on both visits, there seemed to be a pretty bad fruit fly issue going on. On our most recent visit, we went to the bathroom and saw it was very poorly maintained and was full of fruit flies so even tho we actually really like this place and would love to go back, we’re going to let some time pass and hope they figure out how to resolve the fruit fly issues they’re having.

Roberta's is a renowned destination for pizza enthusiasts, known for its wood-fired thin-crust pizzas. Situated in Bushwick, it is considered a cornerstone of the neighborhood's cultural revival. The restaurant offers crispy Neapolitan pizzas topped with vegetables from its own rooftop garden and locally sourced meats at reasonable prices.
Really good neopolitan style pizza. The dough is so good. One of my favorites. Fresh ingredients. I got the Famous Original and Bee Sting. Both had a little spicy kick to it, nothing crazy. Honey on bee sting was perfect combo to spice and soppressata.

Buzzy/noisey atmosphere at the entrance, good host and reception with drinks at the bar before table was ready. Waiters not really alert, they messed up with my order, still smiley at least. The pizza is very good/authentic Italian, average price 20 dollars each, but the service is very slow(and I mean it). Can’t say I loved the dessert as I left most of the pancake. Will still be definitely back as the it’s probably best pizza in Brooklyn.

Kitchen cool Brooklyn vibe. Indoor and outside seating. 2 bars. The one we were at you could get food from, but every time you went back up for anything such as a drink or anything like that you had to stand on an enormously long line and wait quite a while, which wasn't great. The meatballs were very good, and the regular and Margherita pies were very tasty. Crust was soft, not crispy and thin.

My friend and I wanted to stop by a place to get something to eat before we went back home to the city and this was recommended to us! They make really good daiquiris and their pizza is delicious! The staff was nice and the whole vibe of the place "outside" was so cool!

Well I’ll start with saying I’ve never been so sure I was about to be robbed as I was when our cab driver took us into this industrial area which was pitch black as it was night time. When the car stopped and there was nothing around I was sure it was my time to go !! However the cab driver pointed to a red light over a small vestibule and said “that’s it” was beyond relieved to know we were still gonna make it !! As we had no reso we had to wait two and a half hours for a table as the place was packed. The pizzaiolos were very friendly and talked to us about everything pizza and more. I asked some questions about the oven as it didn’t look like any I ever saw live or when I shop for my own and then they explained it was basically home made on the spot and that’s just amazing and very cool .. especially because they’re churning out NYC’s best pizza. Very vibey atmosphere , very friendly staff … incredible pizza. 🍕 10/10

Kesté Pizza e Vino is a delightful gem nestled in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, where the essence of authentic Neapolitan pizza comes to life. Founded by Roberto Caporuscio, who honed his craft in Naples under esteemed masters, this cozy eatery offers an impressive array of wood-fired pizzas that cater to all tastes, including vegan and gluten-free options. The menu features a variety of delectable pies—white, fried, and red—as well as fresh salads and pastas.
Kesté Pizza e Vino truly delivers on its reputation for perfect Neapolitan pizza – the crust, flavors, and quality of ingredients are all outstanding. The restaurant has a warm, positive atmosphere that immediately puts you in a good mood, making it a wonderful spot to enjoy authentic Italian food. One small area of improvement would be the space near the restroom door. The line can feel a bit distracting for guests seated right beside it, taking away from the otherwise flawless dining experience. A simple reorganization or thoughtful decoration to “hide” that area would make the ambiance even better. Overall, Kesté remains a must-visit for pizza lovers who want to experience Neapolitan pizza at its best.

Crust, Heat, and a Price Tag Keste, in a quiet corner of Lower Manhattan, delivers smoky, wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas in a rustic, tightly packed space. We came specifically for their dedicated gluten-free, celiac-safe oven—a rare and welcome feature in NYC—and it was reassuring to see the care they take in handling dietary needs. The pizzas themselves have character: thick, chewy crusts with that signature char, fresh cheese, and well-balanced toppings that let each flavor come through without overwhelming. The Capricciosa, the namesake Keste, and a classic calzone were all satisfying. A glass of Cabernet paired nicely—once it arrived. We also ordered the artichoke salad, which was small, heavy on Parmesan, and light on actual artichoke. Bright citrus and mint gave it lift, but it didn’t quite come together. Service was polite and fast to take our order, but there was a long wait for both food and drinks. Despite AC units, the dining room was hot and close, and the rustic furniture is looking worn. Our total came to $146 for two, including tip—a bit steep for pizza, but we were hungry and it hit the spot. Was it worth the trip? Yes—for the gluten-free safety and the smoky, satisfying pies. But in a city full of standout pizza joints, Keste feels more like a box to check than a go-to. #KesteNYC #GlutenFreePizza #CeliacFriendlyNYC #NeapolitanPizza #LowerManhattanEats #WoodFiredCrust #NYCPizzaScene #PizzaReview #RusticEats

On the last night of our vacation, my husband and I had the pleasure of eating dinner here. Our visit was memorable because of the exceptional service, attentive waitstaff, and outstanding pizza. We arrived to a bustling dining room but decided to sit in their outdoor area. This walled space is comfortable and inviting, allowing guests to feel like they are removed from the street while eating. They also allow dogs in this area but cannot provide a water bowl, so owners should have one on hand. The menu is plentiful with all pizzas available with gluten free dough. What felt like within minutes of ordering, our two pizzas arrived fresh from the ovens. I'm always skeptical of gluten free pizza doughs but Kesté has surpassed all expectations. Their dough was crispy on the outside, airy on the inside, and each bite was thoroughly satisfying. Before asking, the waitstaff were there to refill a drink or provide a napkin but never hovered or were overbearing in any way. Their attentiveness and anticipation of every guests' need heightened the service, elevating our dining experience. I HIGHLY recommend enjoying a meal at this restaurant, especially for people with Celiac disease. I cannot wait to visit again when in the area and will take advantage of their online ordering.

We had a great time! This place was recommended by my company’s sales executive and you know how they are ;) lol we ordered red sangrias and 4 pizzas, all cut in 6 pieces, and it was delicious! The pizza didn’t feel too heavy either like in the sauce or in the cheese or too greasy either. We all devoured it as it was so good! Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Reminded me of a classic Italian pizza shop in every way. Incredible pizza with that chewy, fired dough. Great wine selection. I had Il Bruciato, highly recommend. But the people topped it off. It had a comfortable, welcoming family vibe. They take excellent care of each other and the customers. I sat at the bar alone in front of soccer World Cup playoffs on TV, and everyone was relaxed and enjoying themselves.

5+ Stars! A hidden gem with heart. We had a lovely lunch here with the family and truly enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is cozy and family-friendly, and the entire team was incredibly welcoming. We were greeted by a kind lady at the entrance and seated right away, which set the tone for a great experience. We ordered the burrata pizza and a margherita pizza for the kids—both were delicious! We also ordered the Fichi & Avocado salad… and wow, that salad was absolutely AMAZING. If you’re a fan of walnuts, avocado, and figs, this one’s a must-try. So fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Service was fast, smooth, and super friendly. Definitely a place we’d come back to!

Brilliant pizzas in the area. Their Vegan selection was very delicious and their pre-crafted Pizzas are packed with flavor. The Daniella, Vegan Pizza, Cheese Pizza, Sausage Pizza is what we tried. Most slices in the $5.25 range. Even the Marinara sauce used on the cheese slice was punchy with a nice garlicy note! Quick service, good seating area set-up and they were also serving draught beer. Noise levels were on the average end. Yankee fans too!

Paulie Gee’s is the place to be for a good ole ny slice. First off it is spacious with plenty of seating in the back. It has clean bathrooms and just that old school pizzeria vibes. The freddy prince square is lovely with a nice crunch and beautifully made sauce. I wish there was more sauce though and there are sesame seeds on the bottom fyi. Good square. The vodka slice is also delicious. Couldn’t put it down. If I had to choose I would go with vodka slice. I am glad I came here. A must visit when in Queens.

I ordered the Hells Boy pizza a couple of days ago and it was amazing — one of the best I’ve had! I was craving it again today, but unfortunately this time it tasted completely different. The crust, sauce, and cheese all had a totally different flavor and texture. It almost seemed like the dough was made the day before and just reheated or topped later. Please go back to your original recipe! The first one was perfect. Consistency is key — don’t lose customers over changes that take away what made it so good in the first place.
Sandro P — Google review
Pizza quality has gone down hill over the years. You can tell they put minimal effort into the pies. Slices are warped, dry, burnt and just bland overall. Consistency is gone. It takes forever to place an order. There is zero hustle from the cashiers and they seem so dopey and lost at times. They have very little situational awareness when the line starts to build to speed things up and avoid the unnecessary banter with customers. I partly blame the insanely loud music which makes it hard for them to hear your order. Seriously lower the volume a little. You can tell that the locals have lost taste for the pizza here. The place used to be bumping on weekday evenings, now not so much. I guess the hype is long gone, it sucks because it used to be a decent place …especially with all the good places in the neighborhood having closed down.

Grimaldi's Pizzeria is a casual chain originating from Brooklyn, known for its brick-oven pizzas and calzones, complemented by a selection of wine and beer. The original location in DUMBO has been serving up their signature pizzas since 1990, using fresh ingredients and a secret family dough recipe. Despite the lack of reservations, the pizzeria draws large crowds due to its popularity.
Touristy or not, their pizza is just that good! Well worth the wait. We were told it would be a 25 minute wait and were seated in less than 10 minutes. This was our list to revisit due to the history of the pizzeria. Waited about 20 mins were lucky to get sent to front of line since we were only 2 people. The other folks in line had larger parties. Ordered a large cheese and large white Pizza was good not mind blowing a little on the pricey side. There's to many amazing pizzerias in NYC. It's a must visit once at least just for the history of this place it self.

Grimaldi’s serves traditional coal-fired brick oven pizza. This is the most famous Grimaldi’s location, right next door to its original location. I tried the Brooklyn Bridge, which comes with roasted red peppers, creamy ricotta, Italian sausage, mozzarella, and a tomato sauce base, and The Don, topped with Italian sausage, meatballs, pepperoni, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. The ricotta on the Brooklyn Bridge wasn’t really my thing, but The Don was delicious. I also had their red sangria, which was very refreshing, and finished off with the Oreo cheesecake for dessert. Highly recommend! They offer three pizza sizes: 12”, 16”, and 18”. We ordered two 18-inch pizzas to share between four people. Even though my friends were pretty hungry, we still ended up with leftovers. In hindsight, two 16-inch pizzas would’ve been the perfect amount. We went on a Saturday around 3 p.m. and waited about 30 minutes outside before being seated, so definitely expect a line if you visit on the weekend.
Mariana G — Google review
Absolutely worth the hype! The pizza at Grimaldi’s is just on another level — the crust is perfectly crisp, the sauce has that real fresh tomato flavor, and the cheese melts beautifully. You can really taste the wood-fired quality in every bite. The staff was friendly and fast even though it was busy, and the old-school Brooklyn atmosphere just adds to the charm. Great place to bring friends or visitors for a real NYC pizza experience!

Recently, I had the chance to visit this well-known pizzeria under Brooklyn Bridge. I had the best pizza of my life! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, definitely a great spot. However, the service was disappointing. I had to ask for the bill twice and ended up waiting 30 minutes, so in the end, I went to the bar to pay myself. Everything was just too slow. That said, I still recommend this place and will definitely come back but plan your time accordingly!

We had an early lunch here on a Saturday after spending the morning at the Brooklyn Flea Market. We were seated immediately as soon as we arrived, no waiting time. I would come again just for that honestly.

Nestled just south of Central Park, PizzArte is a charming Neapolitan eatery that offers an inviting atmosphere with its bi-level layout adorned by modern art. This delightful spot specializes in wood-fired pizzas and features a fantastic selection of gluten-free options, which have garnered rave reviews from patrons who claim it to be the best gluten-free pizza in New York City. The cozy ambiance makes it perfect for families and friends alike, while the friendly staff adds to the welcoming vibe.
Great little gem! To be honest, we walked in just to try the food here, did not read any reviews, just wanted some Italian on a hot summer day. And the food was great! The service was great! Artistic and culinary met, and the food and the art fulfilled us. Gladly will recommend this ace!

Been my favorite pizza for over a decade and the Gluten-Free pizza is incredible!! Literally my favorite on this earth. Only complaint is usually the music is kind of loud and weird 50s mo town or pop vibe that doesn’t match the restaurant. But other than that it’s amazing and the food is allllll fantastic. And they are so accommodating and kind.
Natasha T — Google review
After reading some strange reviews but understanding pizza and how the images can give some representation on how it will be it looked on first glance much better than it was being reviewed especially on pizza alone. In short this was a very welcome surprise in that the pizza was very high quality in terms of not only the dough flavour but also how the gluten had developed so was not heavy, key for a good pizza. This is Neapolitan style, one should not expect rigid bread dough style pizza that comes out crispy as a slice synonymous with NY but as a version of this style it is one of the best in the City including vs Una Pizza Napoletana which is lauded. Ingredients high quality just don’t expect much from the venue which is quite narrow and on two floors so the flow is a bit strange as a restaurant for atmosphere. Highly recommended for pizza alone.

Pizzarte was such a discovery that we decided to have 2 consecutive dinners here on our last nights in NYC. All the dishes we ordered were delicious; we honestly can't pinpoint a single winner. The handmade pastas were so al dente, seasoned well, and with ingredients that harmonize with each other. We sampled their Penne Special and a Spaghetti with Tomatoes and Sausage. Their pizza crust is awesome-- thin, crispy yet full and chewy. Yum. Polpo was cooked well and well combined with chickpeas and a tomato cream base. We also loved their lemon sorbet (don't miss this!) and Pistachio Gelato. Yum. Even the cocktails were well blended. A must try!

Denino’s Pizzeria & Tavern is a family-owned establishment that has been serving up thin-crust pizza, fried calamari, and subs in a no-frills setting since 1937. Originally a local family tavern and confectionery store, it was transformed by Carlo Denino into the renowned pizzeria it is today. The thin crust pizzas are a standout feature, with options like clam pie and cheese pie being highly recommended.
Growing up on Staten Island and now living in NJ for 20 years, I still pay the toll to come back here regularly. Do not miss out on the fried calamari & other appetizers... consistently high quality and generous portions. Great pies as always. Service is efficient even when busy... many of the servers have been there for ages.

Not sure what I missed, but today at 3:30-4:00 not one friendly smile, the pizza was not crispy or on a stand the pasta was watery n the Cesar salad dressing can't be homemade. The waitress was not friendly not even a smile like we were bothering her just being there, then we asked for our 1/2 pie to go, the bus girl I'm sure with her hands folded them all together in one tinfoil n bagged it, I'm sure by the speedy time it took no gloves were involved. I was never treated so rudely . Not one welcome or thank you to be had. Even the hostess didn't get out of her seat, she pointed to a booth. Maybe they are being forced to work there. No one was happy there. Not once came over to us. Bye bye! Disappointed waste of $65. We were in n out in an hour . I'm most annoyed about my four slices of pizza I was bringing home for my daughter looked like a garbage bag . Who folds pizza into each other in tin foil. My half of pie like this???

(Denino’s box is on the left ) I have grown up on denino’s for a majority of my life . Over the years they are very consistent with some the dishes that I enjoy . The regular cheese pizza is always consistently crispy, crunchy, and thin . I love the pizza here over brother’s pizza (which is another top Staten Island pizzeria ) . They make a Margarherita pizza , that’s pretty good to me . Aside from pizza they make a great fried shrimp , it has so much flavor in it and the batter is always perfect every time . I’ve had a penne vodka from them; it’s underwhelming that had no flavor and the pasta is over cooked sometimes . I’ve also tried the zucchini sticks from them; bulky wasn’t too crazy about them to be honest .

Let's get real: If you dislike this place, you are on crack. I LOVE DENINOS! Best pizza anywhere in the city, great service, and a nice family atmosphere. Whenever my friends visit from out of town, I always bring them here! Just look at that pizza!!!

Definitely one of the best thin crust pies out there!! Can't go wrong with these three pies! Denino's A Salute pie with arugula and Prosciutto Denino’s “M.O.R.” Pie (Meatball, Fresh Onions & Ricotta) Denino’s Margarita Pie (Fresh Mozzarella, Basil, Marinara Sauce with Grated Cheese) Clam pie on garlic sauce Parking can be hard to find but there is street parking in front and around neighborhood.

I visited here on Sunday lunchtime. There were a lot of big groups(a bunch of kids HBD) My husband and I ordered Denino's a salute pie and fried calamari. The pizza was very good with the prosciutto more savory and not too salty. I should try tomato sauce pizza next time!

Zero Otto Nove is an Italian restaurant located in the Bronx's Little Italy neighborhood, offering a warm and inviting ambiance reminiscent of an old-world trattoria. The name "089" pays homage to chef-owner Roberto's hometown area code in Salerno, reflecting his Italian roots. The menu features authentic wood-fired pizzas made with fresh mozzarella from Casa della Mozzarella and San Marzano tomato sauce.
Zero Otto Nove, in the Bronx, was a pretty fantastic experience! The food was wonderful, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and there was a real family feel to the place. Ever have potatoes on pizza? Make sure you come here to try it, it was amazing! From the bread before the meal to the left over chocolate sauce on the dessert plate, Zero Otto Nove is a great place to eat! Absolutely would recommend!
Mkaurene — Google review
The restaurant has a spacious interior with brick walls and very high ceilings in one room, giving it a rustic, industrial charm. The design makes it feel like a converted factory, adding to its unique character. The portions were generous, and the flavors were rich. However, our dishes had more oil than we preferred—hopefully, it was olive oil rather than canola oil. Despite this, the dishes were still enjoyable. The service was friendly, though we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table.
Olga N — Google review
A fun, casual and delicious lunch. The place was full for a Thursday afternoon and the waitstaff were fantastic! Attentive without being overbearing. The food was good. Not the best I have had, but tasty pasta and good and simple arugula salad. The broccoli rabe had all the great taste, but was more well-cooked than I prefer. Tiramisu was lovely. I'm a lifelong New Yorker, but it was my first time on Arthur Avenue, but definitely not my last. I would definitely come back to try out their pizza.

Super dreamy restaurant and great service from all the staff, food is fresh and although it was really warm we were comfortable. We got the chicken breast, broccoli rabe and broccoli rabe pasta, the meatballs and the steak! All of it was delicious and worth the price. The super fruit cosmo martini was delicious.

We had a really good experience at this place. We called to book a table and the staff was very friendly. Our food was delicious and the service was super efficient. The place is also quiet, they play music in the background but it’s not loud.

Took the family out for lunch here and we were really happy with the service and atmosphere inside the restaurant. We ordered the baked ziti and I was feeling brave and always wanted to try the pasta with squid ink sauce and so this place finally had it! I’m happy to say I tried it, but honestly I think I prefer the red. The calamari in the pasta was good though!

I went some people on trip for Ferragosto Italian festival. It was my time at Zero Otto Nove. The people I was with eat here every year. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant. The food was sort of a disappointment. I ordered the Cacio Pepe, a dish I've always wanted to try. Someone else at the table ordered it also. It was missing the black pepper that's supposed to be part of the dish, we had to ask for pepper to be put on the dish. Of the two wait staff we had only one had a smile on his face. For dessert I tried the Profiterole. Which had nice sweet taste, filled with a nice tasting custard. I don't know if I would return to this restaurant, if I did I would try it when there isn't a festival going on.

The food is a strong no, maybe I am not a fan of Asian food, but some of their dishes are definitely in need of a review. Our waiter is definitely an icon in the business, waitress, bartender and answering the phone, true champ

Zero Otto Nove is a delightful pizzeria that captures the essence of traditional Italian cuisine in a cozy, old-world atmosphere. Named after Salerno's area code, this charming eatery has its roots in the success of Roberto's and boasts locations in both Arthur Avenue’s Little Italy and New York's Flatiron District.
Amazing food, great service, and unique looking restaurant! Love the details of the building and especially how spacious it is! I was able to make a reservation a few hours prior to my desired time which was very convenient as well. We ordered the Diavola pizza, fettuccine in cartoccio, and the grilled calamari and shrimp; everything was delicious! Also, the server separated everything onto our plates for us as my husband and I split everything.

Had high hopes for Zero Otto Nove, but overall it was just an average experience. The service was good and the staff were really nice and welcoming, which I appreciated, but the food didn’t live up to expectations. We had the eggplant and zucchini appetizer, and it honestly tasted more like a lasagna than a fresh, veggie-forward starter. The pasta came with tiny clams that didn’t have much flavor, and the dish just felt underwhelming overall. Also, the vibe was pretty flat so no real energy or ambiance, not the kind of place you’d want to hang out. Maybe we caught it on an off day. Decent service, but the food and atmosphere didn’t quite land.
Azzam — Google review
Best experience, I have ever had. The owner and staff went above and beyond. The wine bar across the street completely rejected us, but the owner at Otto welcomed us with open arms. I would eat here every day of the week just off of the customer service alone. Support good business.
Greg W — Google review
Overall the food was good but it’s not the best Italian in the city. We ordered a pizza, seafood soup and salad. The pizza we had was very different as it’s base was squash and it was a sweet and savory combo. The seafood pasta was very fishy and although it was flavorful the dish lacked luster. I thought overall the pricing was fair but this restaurant wasn’t a place I would be coming back to.
Dorothy L — Google review
Service here was excellent. Everyone was so polite and attentive. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. Our group of five ordered a salad, three pastas, and two pizzas. We especially loved the pizzas, which were flavorful and well-made, but the pastas felt a bit too simple and could use more depth of flavor. The wine and cocktail prices are very reasonable, which was a nice surprise. Overall, we had a great time here, and I would definitely come back for the pizzas.

Have to say, I am very very picky, but this place nailed it. Needed a last minute reservation for 7, no problem. We got there, they gave an excellent table on a Friday night. Place was busy, buzzing, but not overly loud. The food was great. I loved the non-meat pasta in tinfoil and the penne vodka sauce was great. I'll definitely go back and hoping it's as good bc I've crossed so many places off my list that I'm happy to add this place a new. Thank you.

what an amazing experience we are foodies we lived in New York for quite a while. We’ve been to all the trendy restaurants. This is not to be missed. What a spectacular meal we had our waiter was Adonis He was nothing short of spectacular. wine was amazing. We ordered the calamari and shrimp appetizer, which was beautiful. We each had a rigatoni dish they were both spectacular Run do not walk to this place. What a gem.

A truly downtown Disney experience. The service was very sweet. But the company was better. Unfortunately the dishes sounded better than they tasted. Diners beware. Razza is an intimate pizzeria located in Jersey City, known for its artisanal wood-fired pizzas and a bar offering Italian craft beer and cocktails. The restaurant gained international recognition for its outstanding culinary offerings, with The New York Times crowning it as having the best pizza in New York and 50 Best naming it the Best Pizza in North America.
Razza is a part of myself and my fiancé’s love story! We managed to snag a 9pm reservation for our third date, and we fell in love — with each other and with Razza! Nearly two years later, it’s become our go-to spot, and we’ve lost count of how many times we’ve been back. Razza’s pizza remains the best we’ve ever had. We love trying the seasonal specials which are ALL delicious, especially the potato pie. Our classic favorite are the Calabrese, Santo, and Di Natale. No matter how full we are, we never leave without ordering the panna cotta!! So good. The food is exceptional, but what keeps us coming back just as much is the incredible staff. From Chris, who happened to be our server on that first date, to the hostess, who always remembers us with a warm welcome, every visit feels special. Even Dan Richer himself is often out on the floor, making the whole experience feel personal. He’s as kind as his pizza is delicious. Razza is truly a gem, and we’re so grateful for every evening we get to spend there!!
Danielle D — Google review
The pizza at Razza is technically perfect and has a crust that is steady despite all the topics. There is no flop at all in the pizza and the airiness is truly stunning. The kale Caesar is not special, funny order it. The flavors of the pizzas could be so much better, but the pizza is structurally perfect The Wine list is mediocre at best, and there’s no coffee when you get dessert. Dessert is so good, great tiramisu, great olive oil cake.

Came here today for my birthday dinner because n y brother said their funghi pizza was his favorite. We ordered the funghi, margherita, and the santo pizza. I really liked the funghi and santo pizza. We also order the kale salad which was okay. Definitely would come back for their pizza! Highly recommend to make reservations because they were already full as soon as they opened.

This place is always busy — we went right at opening (5 PM on a Wednesday) and by 5:30 it was packed. We only got a table for an hour, so definitely book ahead if you can. The menu’s small but the pizzas are fantastic. We had the honey pizza and the mushroom pizza — both were super flavorful, light, and well-balanced. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had in NJ. Cocktails were just okay, so I’d stick with wine or beer. Pizzas are about $25-30 each, and depending on your appetite you might need more than one for two people. Service and interior are fine — nothing fancy, but the pizza makes it worth it. Perfect spot for a casual date night or a hangout with friends.

Probably one of, if not the, best pizza I’ve had (even miles better than some of the best I’ve had in Italy tbh). I want to work here just so I can be around those scents all day long. The pizza was incredible of course but even the appetizers and sides were all delicious and I just wanted to keep eating. The service and ambiance was also very cool and I would just love to spend hours here with good food, wine, and good company.
Stephen G — Google review
This was our NYC pizza spot and it absolutely delivered! Fast, friendly, clean, and full of that confident charm that comes from a place that knows it’s good (and is right about it). The atmosphere feels welcoming and easy, the service sharp and kind. We ordered the Sausage Pizza and the Margherita, and both were exceptional. The sausage had just the right amount of heat and richness, balanced by that glimmer of chili oil that made every bite addictive. The Margherita was everything it should be light, fresh, perfectly blistered crust with those bright pops of basil and creamy mozzarella. And then their Tiramisu; impossibly soft, rich, and espresso-kissed. Everything here feels intentional: simple ingredients treated with care, a respect for craft without the fuss. If you’re looking for the pizza experience to define your New York (or nearby Jersey City) trip, this is it.
M K — Google review
Last night we took a ferry to NJ for the sole purpose of trying Razza. What a great excursion. Razza has a fun, hip vibe. We sat at the bar and started with the meatballs. Fluffy, delicious with in a pool of excellent tomato sauce. I didn’t see a single table without an order. The beet and heirloom tomato salad were both fresh and plentiful to share. But the star of the show is the crispy, pizza. We only had the Santo and it lived up to the hype. Next time, less starters and more pizza! We finished with the seasonal olive oil cake. Fresh peaches with a lemon curd and homemade whipped cream. Perfect.
Dave M — Google review
Razza Pizza Artigianale (275-277 Grove Street, Jersey City, NJ ) is the only pizzeria ever to receive a three start review from NYT. It is ranked 22 globally. Hence what accolade can you give to Razza that has not been already bestowed upon this pizza place. Razza is one of the best pizza places, in a region, which is one of the best pizza region of America. The praise that Razza has earned is well deserved. I ordered DI NATALE (a red pie) Tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, pine nuts, olives, golden raisins, garlic, basil, chili oil CALABRESE (a white pie) Fresh mozzarella, shaved onions, calabrese pepper (instead of fermented chili paste), ricotta, oregano, parmigiano Typically I order more, and take the left-over home for the next day, but the night I visited Razza that was not an option. I ordered just two pies (one per person). Everything was just excellent.

Luigi's Pizza has been a beloved neighborhood establishment since 1973, offering authentic NYC-style pizza in a no-frills setting. The Grandma Slice/Pie is a standout, featuring perfectly crunchy dough with flavorful sauce and cheese. The fresh mozzarella pizza slice/pie is also highly recommended for its deliciousness. Visitors can watch the staff, including the owners, prepare the pizzas fresh and bake them in the oven.
Must stop when in the city and worth the trip. Pizza was amazing and the inside is a time capsule to simpler times. Not much has changed over the last 50 years including the pans, cash register and much more and I love that. A+

One of my dreams was to go to NY and have a pizza pie! Definitely the best I've ever had! Giovanni was a very kind soul and i talked with him just about the whole time i was there about 40 mins. I showed up early for the atmosphere which I was immediately warped back to 1973 days that I pine over and about and witnessed them working hard to get the slice pies together as alot of "Yorkers" prefer a slice and a Coke. I myself bought a whole pie sausage and pepperoni my personal favorite! I absolutely recommend this place to anyone going to NY for the first time. Cash only establishment adding to the "old school vibe". ❤️ An amazing experience and a dream come true for me. I ended my visit with a handshake and a taste that I won't soon forget! Thanks Again Giovanni! "How you doin"? 🤌 I'm definitely coming back one day and hope to see you again!

Excellent pizza 🍕🍕 exactly what you would expect and the best in Brooklyn Crust consistency was spot on. Cheese was delicious and the pepperoni was extremely tasty.
Andrew B — Google review
Somewhere along the ragged seam of Brooklyn where the old world still clings on by rusty nails and weather-faded storefronts, there’s a place like this Luigi’s Pizza. A joint that doesn’t give a damn about influencer angles or sourdough crust dissertations. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel. It’s the wheel and a damn good one. You push through those scuffed double doors and you can almost hear the ghosts of every after-school hang, every construction worker’s lunch break, every late-night slice consumed under flickering streetlights. Inside: the smell of tomato sauce that takes zero excuses, mozzarella that melts into the cracks of memory, and the hum of a fridge that’s probably older than half the neighborhood. The slice arrives on a metal tray, no fuss grease glistening like a promise. The first bite hits you with that primal recognition: this is the pizza you grew up thinking all pizza would taste like. Before your palate was corrupted by artisanal nonsense and “elevated” cuisine. This is New York doing what New York does best: feeding you, quickly, honestly, beautifully. Pepperoni curls like tiny meat chalices filled with rendered fat the holy water of the boroughs. The cheese stretches just long enough to make you look ridiculous, but you don’t care. Because somewhere in that molten pull, you’re eight years old again, feet dangling off a red vinyl booth, convinced that pizza was the greatest invention in human history. The Coke? Served in a paper cup that sweats like it’s been working all day. No craft sodas. No imported sparkling mineral bullshit. Just cola, cold enough to sting a little. Out on the sidewalk, life moves past you impatient, loud, occasionally absurd. But you sit there with two slices and a drink, and time slows for a moment. This is Brooklyn the greatest country in the world as the sign proudly reminds you. Luigi’s isn’t nostalgia. It’s continuity. It’s the taste that refuses to grow up just because you did. And goddamn that feels good.
Moses S — Google review
Been waiting to get to Luigi's for months and finally made the trip yesterday! Met Gio, who is literally one of the nicest pizza guys in the biz. I had my heart set on a cheese pie but he recommended that I get half cheese and half margarita. He was right! Before our pie came out, we had 2 vodka grandma slices. Oh my gawd! They were the best slices we had all day! Thank you so much Gio, I can't wait to come back!!

The regular thin cheese slice was crispy, but the bread had this stale feeling. The square slice was better and was more crispy. Square slice also reminded me of this classic Pizza Hut bread sticks. There was a small line when I got there. It was a bit disorganized because the start of the line was unclear

Honestly, if I could give 6 stars I would. Great pizza. The dough is light and crispy but not burnt, the sauce a little tangy but again, not overpowering. It's basically the quintessential New York slice done well. No fancy gimmicks or wacky toppings, just a solid slice. And the price! At $3.25 a slice it's the best pizza for the money. You will not find a slice for less than $5 that will compare anywhere in the city. Other than that the staff are incredibly friendly, it has that old school Brooklyn charm to it you can't really find anywhere else. And no lines! Great place, I really cannot recommend it enough.

Cuts & Slices is a popular eatery in Bed-Stuy known for its creative and unique pizza toppings. From chicken-and-waffle to oxtail and curry shrimp, the menu offers a variety of unconventional options. The establishment stands out from other slice shops by offering uncommon toppings like black truffle alfredo shrimp and lasagna pizzas.
My family and I were visiting NY and had a list of places that we wanted to try. Cuts & Slices came highly recommend so we gave it a try. First of all, its such a cute neighborhood pizza spot. Second, the customer service was amazing. The young lady behind the counter was so friendly and helpful, especially because we had never been there and didn't know what to get. We ended up trying a little bit of everything! We loved these unique pizza flavors and would absolutely come back whenever we are in NY! That chopped cheese and sweet chili oxtail pizza.... my goodness!!!! 🙌🏾🔥🍕

Overpriced pizza. Uber Eats had a promo where I could buy four slices for $45 and I’d receive a $15 discount. I did that for pickup. Overall, service was good and they were nice. Some slices had to be substituted but upon arrival to the shop, I was able to get what I originally paid for. Curry chicken slice 3.5/5. The better of the flavors I had. This was pretty good but nothing I’d get again. French toast and chicken slice 1.5/5. It was nasty. This was not French toast and the chicken…was not fried. I did not like the taste of this. I initially wanted chicken and waffles, it was not available. Oxtail slice 2/5. This was terrible. Hard “shredded oxtail” pieces, barely any flavor. The dough was tough. I would never recommend this. Jerk shrimp slice 3/5. It was just okay. Nothing to be crazy over. Jerk flavor was barely noticeable and again, tough dough. The slices are also very small. The dough is not good. It was not an enjoyable experience at this small shop. I am utterly disappointed at what they offer here. I came here on Saturday, 9/20/25. Can sodas are $1.50 and they do offer some sort of alcoholic mimosa-like drink. Inquire about the prices if you decide to stop by. Overall, 2/5 rating. I do not believe I would ever come back here. Mediocre pizza!

I finally got to try the much-talked-about Cuts & Slices in Brooklyn — this spot has been at the top of my must-try list for a while, and it did not disappoint. I started with the brown stew oxtail slice, and wow…it was incredible. The flavor was rich, tender, and honestly lived up to the hype. The only downside was the price — $12.50 per slice — but considering how expensive oxtail is, I get it. I couldn’t stop there and decided to try one of their white/alfredo options: the fried salmon slice. It was good, but not quite on the same level as the oxtail. It was also a bit oilier than expected. Overall, I’d rate the oxtail slice 4.5/5 and the salmon slice 3/5. The customer service was great — friendly and efficient — and I’d definitely come back to try more, especially their sweet chili or curry oxtail slices or maybe even a shrimp or lobster slice next time.
Abigail S — Google review
The curry chicken slice at Cuts & Slices is a masterpiece. The seasoning is spot on, bringing just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor. Every bite has that rich, comforting curry kick, and the crust is perfection — crisp, sturdy, and able to stand up to all that flavor without getting soggy. On an unplanned Saturday night, the stars aligned because there wasn’t a crazy line — and it made the whole experience even better. Easily one of the best slices in Brooklyn.

I've been meaning to come here for some time and it was worth the visit! I've come to the place fully aware that the pizza here is gonna cost more that what you would get from the regular Pizzeria. I decided to visit the Bushwick location first because it's nearby one of the Blink Fitness gyms I go to. I wouldn't say it's a hole in the wall joint but since it's located around a residential area instead of a business strip, it has the appeal of standing out while not being present. Coming into the place, it's a bit on the condensed side but you can eat in as long as there isn't more than maybe 8 people there which was fortunate for me because I had the area to myself for the majority of the time I sat in to eat. Their Oxtail slices are their signature slice (since where else can you get a slice like that) so I had the Oxtail Stew slice and the BBQ Chicken Slice right above it. Completely forgot they also had the Chicken and Waffle slice but I'll get to that another time. The Oxtail Slice was superb! You can taste the meat and sauce of the Oxtail along with a few bits of Collard Greens, it's a piece of soul food in one slice, it was definitely as advertised. The BBQ Chicken Slice was no slouch either, well cooked chicken, the sauce must've been pretty smoky because there was also a spicy kick to it but it wasn't overwhelming. They do have beverages but they're standard fare. Wish they had root beer or creme soda but that doesn't take away from the overall score. I recommend this place and they have 2 other locations in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and St. Albans in Queens. Go for it! You won't regret it.

I know i waited until the hype died down but, that hype was granted. Greeted soon as we entered the establishments interactive with customer and playing music that 👌 was great for the ambience. Endless topping and flavors of pizza but the award goes to the Oxtail slice with special me to the sweet chili chicken. Definitely will come again

⭐ Honest Review: Overhyped & Overpriced – Needs Serious Improvement My husband and I drove in from PA to finally try this spot. As original New Yorkers and supporters of Black-owned small businesses, we came in excited… but left highly disappointed. We’re not worried about price – we understand inflation and don’t expect “stone age” prices. But if you’re charging premium rates, the food should absolutely be worth it. Sadly, it wasn’t. What We Ordered: • Sweet Chili Shrimp Slice – $10.50 • Buffalo Chicken Slice – $7.50 • Sweet Chili Oxtail Slice – $12.48 Food Breakdown: • Sweet Chili Shrimp Slice: The shrimp itself had good flavor, but the slice was so soggy it was practically mush. I couldn’t even finish it — more than half went in the trash. • Buffalo Chicken Slice: My husband said this was the best of the two, but still nothing memorable. • Sweet Chili Oxtail Slice: The oxtail meat was flavorful, but the sauce was overpowering, making the dough just as soggy as the shrimp slice. Sometimes less is more, and this was one of those times. Service Experience: While ordering, I told the young lady at the counter that my husband is allergic to seafood and asked her to keep the slices separate. She got distracted mid-order, chatting with her coworker, and still placed them together — even after we both reminded her. When my husband mentioned it again, her response was, “You should have told me.” 😑 Final Verdict: Not worth the hype. Not worth the drive. And definitely overpriced for the quality and service we experienced. We genuinely wanted to love this place, but both the food execution and customer service need serious improvement.

We got there before the crowd came. My girls and I each got 2 slices of various pizzas and we must admit that our all time favorite is the Sweet Chili Oxtail. Hubby and I are headed back this weekend and that’s my 2nd stop once we land!

Patsy's Pizzeria is a NYC classic for delicious coal-fired pizzas and Italian favorites. The restaurant/pizzeria has a comfortable seating area with an original 1930s look and feel. You can get a great pizza bargain at Patsy's, where you'll get a perfect, smallish eight-slice plain pizza for only $12.
Patsy’s really is New York’s best pizza, dough to cheese to sauce ratio is perfect. The crust doesn’t flop. We have never been the only customers there! This is the walk in pizza shop next to the restaurant. This place gets so much foot traffic your pizza will definitely be fresh to order( has been every time; we go at least 1 a month)! Everyone seems happy here, the employees and the customers !

This is one of the best Pizza’s I ever had. It’s very light so when you’re done eating you don’t feel that weight. The flavor was absolutely amazing, my go2 place when I’m in the area. Pic and disc included

Historical pizzeria from the 30’s. I liked the New York pizza here that is cooked in coal oven and the dough was well cooked and tasty. Pizzas are huge but let you eat them, not heavy at all. Suggested if you want to have dinner in a historical place full of photo from the past. Host is very nice. Bring cash since this is a cash only place!
Chiara G — Google review
If disappointment had a flavor, it would be this pizza. I don’t even know what I just ate it’s like they took the idea of pizza, ran it through a paper shredder, and served it lukewarm. I’m from Jersey, so trust me I know good pizza. This ain’t it. This isn’t even bad pizza. This is anti-pizza. The crust tastes like wet cardboard, the sauce is thinner than a politician’s promise, and the cheese? What cheese? There’s more dairy in a black coffee. The slice flopped like it just gave up on life halfway through the box. One bite and I genuinely felt bad for the tomato that died for this. You could feed this to pigeons and they’d unionize for better meals. People hyping this place up need to have their taste buds checked either that or they got a different chef from an alternate universe. “New York’s best”? Bro, I’ve had better pizza drunk at a 7-Eleven. Save your money. Save your dignity. Patsy’s might’ve been a legend once, but now it’s just a tourist trap serving nostalgia disguised as dough.

Saturday for lunch. Transported to the 60s. Two bottles of ice cold Blue Moon, check! Appetizers: Muscles and stuff class, triple check! Bread for dipping the soupy garlic-e sauces from the apps, nice check! Then the gem of lunch: 16 pie, cheese with pepperoni, sausage, fresh garlic, topped with arugula! Heaven! Our server: Jason. Spoke of history of Patsy, nostalgia, movies and life in general living in Manhattan! If you come across him, say "hi". A warm fellow and down to earth!

I’ve had this place bookmarked for ages, so I stopped in after a 35 min commute to see it. I was recommended the Pink Pig, but they gave me the Patsy’s namesake on accident (would recommend - really enjoyed!). I then tried the Pink Pig since I was curious about the Vodka sauce, and it is a tiny layer that you can’t taste with the pepp (you can decide how pink it is to you from the photos). If you’re dining solo and can’t afford two pies as a single woman in NY, I’d recommend clarifying questions when you first order to be sure you know what you’re getting… otherwise, you could be down $60-$85 for not knowing how to communicate better. I tried when the joint was empty, but my English is a WIP, and the Latinos here speak a mix of English and Spanish while they’re working. I grew up with Mexican Spanish, but I’m not sure that’s what kind of culture is here, because facial expressions are so different from the ones where I’m from. It’s New York, and this isn’t an Italian joint I think - at least the hospitality isn’t (no judgment, just my observation from my first time sitting down here). I’m thinking Italian hospitality is a lost art of sorts - where has the time gone with the language and care of the Med? Probably somewhere fun 😅 No shade to the staff here though - there aren’t that many!

Absolutely horrible. Ordered from Uber eats and they gave me a pepperoni slice, which was not what I ordered. Also, the pizza itself was completely damaged. This doesn’t have anything to do with the restaurant however, when I tried the pizza, it was absolutely horrible. Just taste like garlicand butter without any flavor. This is absolutely by far hands-down the worst slice of New York pizza I’ve ever had they should be ashamed of themselves and the fact that they allow this to be delivered is unconscionable.

Pie at the takeout place, and I'm not sure which restaurant this is reviewing, the pizza joint or the sit-down Italian next door also called Patsy's. Pie was great, but I wanted to try a meatball but he would only sell me a whole meatball pie even as I was his last order of the night. So I got meatball pizza instead of pepperoni which is what I really wanted. Meatballs not worth a detour but the pizza is.

Artichoke Basille's Pizza is a popular spot known for its unique and decadent slices, particularly the artichoke pizza. Made with fresh ingredients like artichoke hearts, spinach, cream sauce, mozzarella, and pecorino romano cheese, these slices offer a rich and indulgent experience.
The most perfect slice of pizza I've ever had! No exaggeration, the kind you'll have dreams about afterward from thousands of miles away. Got their signature white sauce -- even though the slices are MASSIVE and drizzled with olive oil on top, it's still somehow NOT overly greasy, and I was able to inhale the entire slice without any trouble. Perfectly crisp thin but well risen crust, seasoned well without being too salty, and perfectly flavourful (somewhat subtle and multilayered yet not too bland to taste only of cheese). The service was friendly, warm, and efficient, and there wasn't a line either around noon. HIGHLY recommend going out of your way for this location - will definitely be back next time I'm in the city!
Kat — Google review
This pic really speaks for itself! It was my first time trying artichoke pizza, and it did not disappoint. The flavor was incredible, rich and well-balanced and even with the heavier toppings, the crust stayed crisp underneath. I especially loved the cheesy flavor throughout. Seriously a great slice, highly recommend!
James G — Google review
It’s an amazing place for their speciality artichoke pizza. There are other options which was good too I personally liked the crab pizza. Street parking available but don’t count on it. Walkable from Washington square park , there are couple of seating available for dining in but best bet is takeaway. Would def recommend and come back.
Prabha S — Google review
The food here more than makes up for the claustrophobia you feel when you enter this place. You may be sandwiched in between people as you give the cashier your food order depending on when you go. Late night tends to be the most active as well as weekends. Obviously it’s namesake pizza, the artichoke pizza is a fan favorite, and even though it’s good, I find that the vodka pizza is even better. The dough is freshly made a is the sauce used on the pizza, no artificial flavors(that I can detect) and even thought the price is somewhat steep compared to other places. If you’re looking for an above average pizza place that’s hits all the right food buttons, I would recommend this place. Most places are carry out but if you don’t mind eating standing up, then you would do well here.

This is absolutely THE BEST PIZZA in NYC. I came here a year ago and couldn’t forget it, now when I’ve came back, I just know this place is phenomenal. Nice workers, AMAZING pizza’s, different options for vegetarian people and comes in super big slices! Great atmosphere both when full and not - does not have a lot of place to sit though.. Come and love this place so that it could stay for more years to come!

Artichoke Pizza is my number one stop whenever I visit New York from South Florida. Their signature artichoke pizza is WOWWWW, so creamy, and unlike anything else I have ever tried. I love it so much that I have even packed slices in my luggage to take back home to Miami. The flavors are rich and unforgettable, and with several locations around the city it is always easy to enjoy. A true New York gem and a MUST TRY for any pizza lover.

Worth every penny of the $7 and some change artichoke slice. Insanely good. Somehow smooth creamy but not runny. Tasted like the best part of artichoke dip on top of delicious pizza crust. Ten out of ten would never walk by a location and not get a slice. Crazy good in a city with good cheap slices already.

Upside Pizza is a 90's-inspired pizza joint located in Midtown, offering both slices and whole pies. Despite its small space for dining in, it attracts late-night crowds with its unique sourdough crust that gives the pizza a zingy and slightly fermented flavor. The use of sourdough sets Upside apart from other pizzerias in the area.
I work across the street, and have been coming to upside pizza for a long time. It's a true New York slice, thin, crispy and tasty. Their pepperoni Sicilian is amazing, but the belle of the ball to me is mushroom slice. The mushroom slice is thin, with a good ratio of different cheeses, sauce and crust. They place a few small tables on the sidewalk, for patrons to dine at. Upside is good spot for the tourists, locals and the people that work in the city

Absolutely love their pizzas. They have a variety and I tried a couple and they’re all really good. Special mention for the spicy vodka pizza - different and delicious.
Natalie P — Google review
I went here on a whim looking for a quick slice of pizza. Turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever had. I tried the square pepperoni slice which was a thick square with crispy pepperoni on top. Along the edges of the slice were crispy cheese edges from the pan that melted in your mouth as you took a bite. The real star of the show was the spicy vodka pizza. Not only was your classic thin crispy New York slice executed perfectly but the sauce on top was out of this world. The sweetness of the sauce was enough to get you going and the spice was not too overpowering but just enough to give you that tang. The dough was super thin, not floppy, and a crispy but chewy crust. I would eat this pizza everyday if I could. Did I mention it only took them around 15 minutes for them to make a whole pie. Upside pizza was the most pleasant surprise of my evening and I would honestly choose this place over any sit down restaurant.

Pasquale Jones is an Italian restaurant located at the corner of Mulberry Street and Kenmare Street in NYC. It's a creation by the team behind Charlie Bird, offering a menu that leans heavily towards authentic Italian cuisine. The open kitchen serves up a variety of Mediterranean dishes, from summer peppers with anchovies to lobster paccheri and wood-fired pizzas topped with ingredients like littleneck clams and broccoli rabe.
Always an incredible experience. We sat at the counter (favorite seat) and the entire kitchen staff was so kind, generous, and created a delicious dinner. We had a fabulous experience. Everything was perfect. We loved the explanation from Chef Pasquale about the history of the development of each dishes and the thoughtfulness that went into the selection of the ingredients. Loved the marriage of Japanese and Italian culture. Thanks so much!!

Tucked away in Nolita’s charming corner, Pasquale Jones is the kind of place that doesn’t just serve food, it delivers an experience. The Margherita pizza was a masterclass in simplicity: a blistered, airy crust with the perfect chew, balanced by the tangy sweetness of San Marzano tomatoes and the creamy melt of fresh mozzarella. Basil leaves crowned it all, gently singed from the wood-fired oven, adding an aromatic lift to every bite. Don’t be fooled by the “personal size” label this pizza is generously portioned, easily the size of a regular large pizza. Perfect for sharing, though you may not want to. Paired with a crisp white wine, the combination was effortlessly elegant. The wine’s acidity cut through the richness of the cheese, cleansing the palate and making each slice feel like the first. To finish, we tried the panna cotta, and it was the perfect finale. Silky, subtly sweet, and topped with a seasonal fruit compote. Delicate, light, and beautifully balanced. The ambiance is intimate yet energetic, thanks to the open kitchen and warm, minimalist design. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the laidback luxury of the experience.

Tried the Margherita pizza and the chopped salad. The pizza was pretty good — not as floppy as a lot of Neapolitans, which I actually liked. Nice balance of flavor and texture. The chopped salad was decent but the cheese in it was a little hard and strong, which threw it off a bit. Overall, pretty good meal but nothing that really stood out as exceptional.

The staff is friendly and creates a great atmosphere for enjoying these delectable pizzas.
I ended up ordering a plain pie. I like how they finish the pizza off with fresh basil and grated Parmesan. IMHO this one of the best plain slices I had in a long time. The dough was light and crispy on the outside but the inside was chewy, it was perfect. The cheese to sauce ratio was also spot on and it tasted great. The only downside was the wait, but it was worth it. If you don’t order a pie you will get your food much quicker.

Incredible slice in the heart of SoHo! Lucia Pizza of SoHo is a must-visit for any pizza lover. The crust is perfectly crisp with just the right amount of chew, and the sauce tastes fresh and tangy without overpowering the cheese. I tried the classic cheese and the pepperoni — both were phenomenal. The staff was friendly and efficient, even with a line out the door. It’s a no-frills spot with a few stools, but the quality speaks for itself. This is New York pizza done right. Highly recommend grabbing a slice (or three) if you’re in the area!

Best pizza I’ve had in NYC! No line on a Saturday at 12:30 unlike other hyped up spots in West Village. Marg slice was delicious, tomato flavor was amazing. Square vodka slice was my favorite. Cheesy and lots of flavor. Super delicious! The ricotta sausage was out of this world. Unique slice which was perfect. Loved the onion on top. All three cooked perfect and tasted so good. The crust was very crunchy. Not much room to eat inside but plenty of places to stand outside. Line moves quick to order and pick up food. Staff is nice too!

The spice, flavor and perfectly cooked dough had a crop but soft on the inside- JUST PERFECT. highly recommend

Small corner pizza shop located in a busy intersection. Line stretches out the door very quickly. Very little seating inside so many opt to stand outside to eat. Ordered a margherita pizza slice. This slice was larger than the paper plate and served with shaved mozzarella on top and basil. Crunchy crust and delicious light tomato sauce on top, not very heavy on top, quite light amount of cheese and tomato sauce. Service was relatively quick getting in and out the door. Interior is very warm from all the baking heat, nicely decorated with light colors and simple decor.

Motorino Pizzeria is a casual eatery known for its Neapolitan-style thin-crust pizzas, complemented by a selection of wine and beer. The restaurant exudes a cool, local vibe that adds to the dining experience. Customers rave about the chewy, thin crust that comes fresh out of the wood-burning oven. Visitors have praised the delicious pizza options like Don Dom and Del Popolo, with some even receiving an extra pie as a pleasant surprise.
I went there on a Friday night and was able to snag a last-minute reservation for early dinner. As always, their pizza didn’t disappoint. The classic Margherita is my favorite. I also tried the octopus salad, which was good, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Motorino Pizza in the East Village for years. I used to love their clam pizza and always brought friends here. But after my recent experience, I won’t be coming back. While eating the clam pizza, I bit into several hard, sharp pieces of clam shell baked right into the slice. It was painful and dangerous — I nearly cracked a tooth. For a place that prides itself on quality, this was completely unacceptable. What made it worse was how the situation was handled. I called a few days later to report the issue, hoping they’d show some concern or offer to make things right. Instead, I was met with complete indifference. No apology, no offer to help, nothing. It’s really disappointing to be treated this way after years of being a loyal customer. I can’t recommend this place anymore — and I definitely won’t be returning.

The best pizza in NYC, I guarantee it. I've tried more than 15 pizza places in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I ordered an extra spicy soppressata pizza with grilled peppers on top, and it was mind-blowing. The dough was very chewy and puffy. My husband ordered a sausage pizza with mushroom toppings, and both were really good.

It's disappointing when the salads are better than the pizza! The pizza was served room temperature - almost cool. The crust could also use more salt and olive oil to enhance the flavor. However, the ingredients are very good and the wood-fired oven makes up for what they lack elsewhere.

I visited this place with a friend last night and we were really impressed. We first ordered the Don Dom pizza. It was just heaven in our mouths! Then tried Del Popolo, really good! To our surprise, we were given a third pie of our choosing for free. A very nice gesture from a high-quality pizza place. We could eat it next day but it was so good that we decided to give it to a homeless person. Sam, the lady that assisted us in the restaurant, was very helpful. Great, warm, and fast service! Had the Sicilian slice with pepperoni and was surprised at how quickly I wolfed down what looks like a very bready pizza. Sauce is great and I added red pepper flakes for a good kick. Limited seating in here and it gets messy.
Rovik R — Google review
It took me at least 20 minutes to get a slice after ordering, and the same could be said for other patrons. Granted there was some kind of party going on in the back where all the pizzas were being diverted to, there was just no supply to meet the demand, additionally with none of the signature tomato slice available. Then they got my name wrong, which lead to me waiting extra time because they were calling for someone else. Asides from that, the slice pictured was very tasty. A little salty throughout with a tangy savory sauce. I do note this is one of the smallest slices I've ever had in NYC, with an unusually small crust. It was tasty for sure, but definitely underwhelming. In the hotbed of pop pizza that is Williamsburg, I would only go here if it was for the signature tomato slice, or even the white slice which looked pretty good.

Horrible experience. I ordered a sicilian slice and a grandma slice. The sicilian was incredibly, incredibly spicy. I started coughing and nearly choking. I asked if that's supposed to be that way, the guy said yes, they pour hot chili oil on it. I asked if the grandma slice was also hot and he said no. I took a bite, and so did my wife, and the grandma slice was also burning hot and spicy (my wife loves spice but even for her it was unbelievably spicy.) I told the guy it didn't say on the menu that either of these had hot oil on top, and he said "you didn't ask." I told him I can't eat these. He was rude and dismissive and said "no one's ever complained before." I asked if I could exchange the two slices for ones without hot oil, the woman making the pizzas ran up and told me "yes, but you'd have to pay for them." Well that's not what an exchange is, is it? I told her that the menu (see photo) does not say these slices have hot oil, she said "you didn't ask what the sicilian was." I said "Why would anyone ask what a sicilian was, anybody going to a pizza place knows what that is." She said "well we do things different here." I said how am I supposed to know if it doesn't say on the menu? She kept telling me to be quiet over and over as I tried to say this doesn't make any sense. She walked away and I put the uneaten slices on the counter and walked out. It is beyond me why they couldn't apologize for the misunderstanding and bring me what I paid for rather than lose a customer for life. This pretentious, overpriced pizza place that charges $4 for water isn't worth the trouble. Go to any of the other dozen in the area: Best Pizza, Rosa's, Ace's, Joe's, etc, etc.

Artichoke Basille's Pizza is a popular spot where people line up for their signature artichoke pizza. The place is known for its huge, homemade slices with unique toppings like artichoke hearts, spinach, cream sauce, mozzarella and pecorino. Although the prices are slightly higher than other places, the slices are about 50% bigger.
I recently tried the Artichoke Slice at Artichoke Basille’s Pizza, and I have to say-it was easily one of the best slices I’ve had in New York City! This isn’t your typical slice; it’s massive, rich, and incredibly indulgent. The crust is thick and crisp, providing the perfect base for the generous layers of creamy white sauce and gooey melted cheese. What really stood out were the chunks of artichoke hearts-abundant, flavorful, and perfectly balanced against the richness of the sauce. Be warned: this slice is very heavy, so if you have a smaller appetite, it’s definitely something you could share with a friend. But if you're feeling hungry or just want to treat yourself, it's absolutely worth digging into solo. It’s not your average New York slice-it’s more like a full meal. The service was quick and efficient, which is always appreciated in a busy city spot. There were a few standing tables both inside and outside, which made it easy to grab a quick bite without a long wait. If you’re in NYC and craving something different from the usual cheese or pepperoni, the Artichoke Slice is a must-try. Creamy, cheesy, and full of flavor-this slice lives up to the hype!

The artichoke slice was a little too saucy but the marinara sauce was strong, tangy and fresh! I would go here again but only for a late night meal out of convenience.
Noyonika P — Google review
Delicious, filling, and super affordable pizza spot! I visited around 9pm on a Tuesday and ordered a slice of their artichoke pizza. The cost was only a little bit more expensive than a matcha latte I'd gotten that morning. It was served on 2 paper plates, which should give some idea of its size. Super creamy delicious white sauce! Lots of locals were also coming through to get full pies for takeout. Some standing room inside and a little seating outside.
Michelle B — Google review
Let's just be real: Artichoke Basille's is the worst slice I've had in NYC. The only reason I even tried this place was my manager's enthusiastic recommendation, which he gave when he was clearly hammered. My sober reality? It's the worst pizza I've had in NYC, and I let him know it. The unforgivable sin here is the salt. Everything on the slice, every layer, is aggressively, overwhelmingly salty. It’s not seasoned well; it’s a sodium overload that kills every other potential flavor. Credit where it’s due: the crust is good, and the slices are absolutely huge. The service was okay, the place was empty, and I appreciated the little outdoor standing tables for grabbing a quick bite. But ultimately, nothing saves it from the salt. It's a hard pass. I'm sticking to Prince St Pizza from now on.

Artichoke Pizza is HANDS DOWN the best pizza in the world and my all time favorite! Every time I visit New York from Miami, I make sure to stop here and have their signature: artichoke pizza (and I even take slices back with me in my luggage because it is that good lol!) The flavor is rich, creamy, and unforgettable, and no other pizza compares. They have several locations which makes it easy to enjoy whenever I am in the city. For me it is a must visit spot in New York and truly the best pizza I have ever had. MUST TRY
Dalit R — Google review
This pizza is seriously delicious, and I'd definitely recommend it. The toppings tasted super fresh, and the cheese was melted to perfection—gooey and delicious. And the sauce? It was a real standout. It had this rich, bright flavor that just made everything better. My one little note is that the crust was a bit inconsistent. Most of it was perfectly crispy, but a few spots were a little bit soft. All in all, this is a very good choice.
Dani P — Google review
What a pizza!! I have never had anything like this before. It's so good and creamy. Half of a slice was also so filling.
Ashima K — Google review
The pizza was good. I tried the signature Artichoke pizza. Delishous crust and a huge piece. The cream sauce was a little much for my liking. I brought home the crab and Staten Island slices. After warming the crab was amazing and the Staten Island was good. No seating here just standing or grab and go only

Lee's Tavern is a family-owned neighborhood pub that has been a Staten Island staple for nearly 80 years. Known for its thin-crusted bar pizzas, it's more of a neighborhood bar than just a pizzeria. The tavern is filled with longtime regulars and features photos on the wall, creating a cozy and familiar atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy some delicious pizza and brews while chatting with friendly staff and other diners.
This place is great! Cash only, but just a great bar with nice people (great sever - “Santa’s Favorite Waitress”. We had heroes and some plates, mostly chicken parmesan. See the pics. If you find this place, you will enjoy!

We stopped in for a quick beer and a snack during a day trip to Staten Island. The small bar-sized clam pizza (white sauce) and fried calamari were both great. Everything was very affordable and the server was super nice. Would recommend

When visiting Staten Island after getting off the ferry, stop at Dongan Hills on the SIR. There you’ll find one of the best Pizza restaurants on the island. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza with a side of garlic bread, and both were delicious. Would recommend if you’re in the area or visiting!
Enrique H — Google review
This is the cutest little place and definitely doesn’t feel like it’s on Staten Island. It feels like it’s somewhere in New England! I sat at the bar, the bartender is lovely, the weight staff was engaging when appropriate. I had a bar sized clam pie because everyone and their brother told me if I liked clam pie I had to go to Lee’s. I wasn’t disappointed. The crust is paper, thin, the cheese was good and solid and it’s density, the clams were meaty and well salted. Now I just have to find somebody who will share one with me so I can get a large one.

What's not to like. Such a classic SI spot. The bar full of locals, tasty bar pies and a decent selection of beer! I was running an errand in the area and I'm not normally (or really ever in SI) this came up on a few reddit threads as a well likes SI pizza joint and it did not disappoint. I had an anchovy and onion pie, delicious. No wifi, no credit cards just good service and good food!
Chris K — Google review
Their crust is super thin and crisp! Clam pie was generously topped with clam, we got half white half red!

Simply the best thing crust pizza anywhere. We especially love the clam pie (well done) and the calamari is always tender and crisp. All the pies are great, though and the service is very friendly and efficient.

Excellent pie. Buffalo calamari was also great. It's tight in the dining room but well worth it. Will be back when live returns me to Staten Island. Pizza Adventures: Destination #210

My Pie Pizzeria Romana is a charming pizzeria that specializes in crafting Roman-style pies using imported Italian flour. Inspired by renowned pizza-maker Gabriele Bonci, the pizzeria proudly displays a Bonci cookbook and wood pizza peel bearing his mark. Despite its small size, the cozy seating and friendly service create a welcoming atmosphere. The pizzeria offers an array of delicious pizzas by the slice, allowing customers to enjoy various flavors on the spot.
Went in around 5:25 PM on a Saturday—no wait, quick service. The slices are big and filling, about $7 each. I had the buffalo chicken, and my wife got the truffle mushroom—both were excellent. Crispy, airy crust with plenty of toppings, exactly what you want from Roman-style pizza. Chill vibe, friendly staff. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re nearby.
Mark D — Google review
Good value. Interesting flavors. The Buffalo chicken ($7) had a spicy but salty sauce - there was a substantial amount of chicken. The dough is a little chewy. The crust was a crispy. The truffle mushroom pizza had a fair amount of mushroom ($6) but could have used more truffle oil. The warmed up pizza was not hot enough. Annoying. The rectangular pizza was filling enough and a good size for a snack. 2 slices would make it a meal. $14 total with tax. A reasonable price for a meal in midtown Manhattan. April 2025.
Linda M — Google review
I’m not the biggest fan of a thick crust, but these pizza crusts were thankfully the exact consistency of focaccia and had a beautifully webbed crusting (as if excess cheese had cooked on the edges). Otherwise, these were okay pizza slices. I loved the rectangular shape of the slices, though.
Shreya R — Google review
Our visit was influenced by a good review and a drive to sample some of NYC’s finest we decided to check it out. Stylized and similar to Detroit square deep dish…this one varied in a thinner crust. Fresh ingredients fused with a very rich crust that’s reminiscent of quality EU breads. We loved it. Price points seem quite reasonable. I recommend check it out.
Harold P — Google review
My favorite spot to grab a slice of pizza in NY! I love the crispiness of the crust, the variety of flavors, and how generous they are with every topping. Plus, the staff here are super friendly and go out of their way to provide a good experience! I only get to come every 3-6 months because I live out of state but they somehow remember me every time, which is always a nice feeling. The last time I was here, I came a little after the dinner rush and was disappointed that they had run out of my favorite flavor - and they offered to make me a pie fresh! The inside only has 5 small tables so it can get a little crowded during a rush but they have great to go boxes so you can enjoy your slices on the go or in one of the many nearby parks.
Lauren H — Google review
The pizza was amazing, very thin, crispy, and perfect amount of tomato sauce. Will want to come back to try out the other pizza options that they have. Each slice can be pretty pricey for the size

Two Boots East Village is a unique and quirky pizzeria that offers cornmeal-crusted pizzas with creative Cajun toppings. Established in 1987 by two indie filmmakers, this offbeat chain has a funky retro vibe with New Orleans influence. The menu features kid-friendly options like chicken parm garlic knot sliders and the classic calzone filled with ricotta, mozzarella, and marinara.
A classic stalwart, if you’re in need of a creative slice and a beer this is your answer, I’ve been coming here over 20 years and it rarely if ever disappoints. The super Newman is one of my favorite slices pared with a Brooklyn lager you can’t go wrong. While waiting for your slice sift through the dvd’s and make a note or two on something you might not have watched!

Amazing vegan pizza alert!!!! May be the best vegan pizza I've had in 7 years of being vegan! Ordered two personal pizzas, the vegan chicken, broccoli, and garlic basil pesto... Insanely good... And the Meat the vegan mets... Unbelievable. Admittedly they didn't have any vegan slices available on the counter. But the fresh cooked pies were so good I simple didn't care. Friendly staff, comfortable booth and jazzy decor. The vegan choices are so good, that it deserves 5 stars.

Went to visit because I am a fan of Dash & Lily. The place wasn’t crowded at all (only 2-3 groups) and several take away. Pizza was good and they have several soda options. They even have the movie corner! Staff was really nice. Will come back if I return to NY.

This place is such a win. The space is bright with plenty of room to sit and hang out, and the pizza always hits. It comes out pretty quick too, which I appreciate. But the real star? The garlic knots. They’re amazing and huge, so definitely bring a friend or two to share. The staff is friendly, and they’ve got a rewards program which is always a nice bonus. Just an all-around solid spot I keep coming back to. 🍕🧄💫

Ops is a cozy pizzeria known for its wood-fired sourdough pies and selection of natural wines and cocktails. Despite its small dining room, the restaurant's crispy, blackened pizzas from the wood-fired oven make up for the limited space. The menu features a variety of small plates and impressive pizzas with unique toppings like broccoli rabe and potatoes or house-made mozzarella, olives, and basil.
I’d heard about this place for ages and finally went and it did not disappoint! The service was incredible, our server was so friendly and knowledgeable and attentive. We got the special of the night and the regular square pizza and the Juno and mamma to go. They were all so good and I’m usually not a crust person but the crust here was delicious! The wine selection was also great!

I recently checked out a local pizza place known for its wood-fired sourdough pizzas. Since I'm a big fan of sourdough, I had pretty high expectations going in. The atmosphere was great — cozy vibe, good music, and super friendly staff. The pizza was fresh and tasty, but I do wish it had been served a bit hotter. I feel like that would've really brought out the flavors even more. Since it was my first visit, I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars. Looking forward to going back and trying more from the menu!

My daughter and husband eat here frequently and wanted to host their baby shower here. I live in California so I thought it may prove difficult to plan it from 3000 miles away. However, from my first email inquiry and ongoing communication with Mike, to the day of the shower was super easy. The staff, Cedric and Gaby, were amazing and helped to make everything happen so smoothly, the shower was a great experience. All of the staff were great, too many to name. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic. If you want to host a gathering that’s great in every aspect, this is your place.

Pizza is truly exceptional, possibly the best in the city. Somewhat of a Neapolitan style but crispy enough to hold shape with no flop even with toppings and has an incredible sourdough flavor. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the mortadella and meatball pizzas. Front of house staff is weirdly cold and unwelcoming bordering on condescension but back of house is very kind.
Asriel — Google review
No complaints! Phenomenal sitdown pizza and prices aren’t completely exorbitant. Sourdough crust hits the spot when you’re craving it. Drink and desert programs punch above their weight, too. Lovely vibes for a weeknight date night.
Max L — Google review
I came here on a date, my partner said that they had gluten free pizza here and that they liked their regular pies. I was excited to try another pizza place with a gluten free option! Alas, it was one of the worst GF pizza's I've ever had. And definitely the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. It was brown (they must use buckwheat in the flour blend or something) and was soggy. The crust had almost no chew. The flavor wasn't terrible but wasn't great. The flavor wasn't as bad as the texture but it was all around a bad experience. Thankfully when I told them that I didn't like it they took it away and didn't charge me for it when I said I'd get a salad. The one redeeming thing I had here was their butter beans, those were yummy and well flavored. But I don't want to eat a meal of just beans. Apparently the dough is not something that Ops makes there, but they get it from a company called Knead Love. I've never had their stuff before but I think they Knead to go back to the drawing board with this recipe. If you are Gluten-free, don't come here. The vibe is nice and it seems to be popular, so maybe if you can eat gluten, its worth coming.
Yvonne T — Google review
I hate the ops but I do like Ops. Their pizza is very solid, but I thought their beans were just okay. Not making any huge waves, but a really nice neighborhood spot.

This joint truly embodies Bushwick. Great ambiance, great drinks and spectacular pizza however fell short of 5 star review because our experience felt rushed. No longer than 30 seconds after sitting down without even looking at the provided drink menu we were asked if ready and 2/3 through our pizza we were asked if we like to look at a dessert menu. I understand you need to turn over each table but c’mon. Not like we sat for hours but mere 35 minutes. I sincerely hope this is an isolated incident because really dig this spot and will be back soon for that five star review.

The GF pizza does not taste gluten free at all it is so so so so good!!!! The small one is big for 1 person but kinda small for two hungry people. It was a bit oily (but really liked the Hawaiian!) They have a comedy club situation too, which I am sure is actually quite fun and a good pairing w their pizzas.

The pizza was fantastic but the service was not pleasant. We got there around 2pm and there was only three tables including us were there. It took us 30min to get our pizza and when we asked about the check and a to-go box, she brought only the box but check so we had to wait another 5min and I had to go get her attention and she could’ve given us check right away. The service was pretty slow

The gluten free pizza is actually unreal. I didn’t even believe it was gluten free. Maybe it wasn’t lol? It’s perfectly chewey and fluffy. Deep-ish crust pizza that’s absolutely perfect. It’s just indulgently fatty and delicious. All the toppings tasted super high quality. You can order online for pick up and it was only a 20 minute wait on a Saturday night. My only complaint is that it was a bittttt too oily. A small gluten free pizza (fed 2 ppl) was $31 after tax and tip.

Ari B — Google review
We have been enjoying the food at Emmy Squared for a few years...so delicious and the gluten free pizza is the whole thing for me. It's expensive for what you get, but so delicious and worth rationalizing the cost sometimes. The size of the pizza seems to have gotten smaller and it's a little off-putting and how un-smart that is. The restaurant itself is not a as much of a restaurant as it is a 'now corporate' pick up station for a mostly to-go business but it's the staff that brings us back when they last. Obviously there is reason behind that. I hope you don't lose the ones you have now this is the last leg. It's about commitment and pay and the race to the bottom in this place like so many others I mean where are the people!? Where is the heart? I will say it's corporate goal keeping that did it. Manager? Like there are tables right? Service concept? From what I know being in the business for over 30 years, if you thin out your staff and force them to do multiple jobs in place of a full on proper service restaurant simply to cut costs, ultimately people come and go and so will guests. Cutting corners at the expense of losing great staff ultimately - is the future of Emmy Squared. It looks like going corporate has changed the place and the respect we have for it too. The one saving grace that has us coming back truly is one of your team members in particular. We don't want to embarrass her, but the bartender Bethany is above and beyond exceptional. It seems from what guests see is that she enthusiastically jumps in as manager, phone answering associate, to-go handler and general Goddess of keeping your place going. It is above and beyond special. Your company is truly lucky to have her. She IS THE PLACE and if she is ever no longer there because of all the juggling, we also will not be. Great personality, professional, caring and goes to the end of the earth and back to provide great service for each and every guest that I've seen or noticed both on the phone as she handles each and every foul that the restaurant has left in regards to crazy corporate delivery companies, all while graciously juggling incoming people. It's undeniably impressive how she does it with such care. She understands how to bring customers back.

Stumbled on Williamsburg Pizza while looking for a pastry place. I'm in NY, gotta get a slice, right? But the meatball sandwich caught my eye. So glad it did. Good portion for the price. Big, juicy meatballs. Tomato sauce was chunky, savoury with the right amount of sweet. Held in place by toasty roll with a generous helping of melted mozzarella. A pair of buttery homemade chocolate chip cookies and I have to say, good lunch.

Was craving a slice, so I came by for the fist time. Always walk by it to/from work and they have decent reviews so I thought why not. Granted, I came in a bit late, so the pizza was not fresh. But it was so tough and dry. It tasted like it was heated over and over again that it hurt the roof of my mouth. I couldn’t eat the crust, and crust is (weirdly) my favorite part of a pizza slice. Disappointed, but it just happens sometimes I guess

By far the worst pizza I’ve had in the city. Got a grandma slice around 7pm. Tasted old, like it had been sitting since the afternoon. Took 10 mins for the immature, obnoxious backwards hat guys working the counter to stop man-flirting and actually start heating up the pizza. Once they did, they left it in for maybe 30 seconds, so it was cold. Chewy, old, and cold. Ate half, threw away the rest. It’s harder to make a bad slice, and these guys worked really hard at doing just that.

Forcella is a hidden gem in the bustling neighborhoods of Williamsburg and Bowery, where you can indulge in their unique take on Neapolitan pizza. This casual pizzeria stands out with its signature flash-fried and oven-finished pies, like the Adriani's Montanara—a delightful margherita that begins with a crispy crust before being topped and baked to perfection.
As we made our way from Brooklyn Steel to the Barcade at around 1am, we realized how hungry we were.. Walked into several bars that had just closed their kitchen for the night before stumbling into this gem! Ordered 3 appetizers to share and they were the perfect portion for a late night recharge. Also made for quite the romantic meal as we happened to be the only ones dining there on a quiet Sunday night. Thank you not only for being open at that hour but soothing our hungry bellies with delicious Italian food!

Huge disappointment from A to Z. Don’t be fooled by the pro pics they have online, the food is far to be what they pretend. 15$ for a margarita pizza , missing 1 out of the 3 ingredients on it, not filling enough for 1 person. Deserts were not good. Pizza were not good. And all is over priced. Robertas charges 20$ for a pizza but at least it’s good enough for 1 person and it’s the best pizza ever. This was a rip off. Never again

Excellent service and very clean. Enjoyed the traditional pizza. Dough was slightly soft and delightful. All ingredients tasted fresh. The inside of the restaurant was too dark for me. I had to use the light on my iPhone to read the menu as did others who came in after me. Was a little expensive but this is not a side stand with 99 cent pizza slices. This is more traditional Italian fare. Worth the price based on the service and the taste of the food.

I ordered for delivery. The pizza was soaking wet on the bottom and overall cold. The lasagne was not good quality cheese and the rest average at best. Other reviews seem to be good, so maybe I was just unlucky that day or maybe they just shouldn't offer delivery if they cannot guarantee the same quality - but that order was simply unacceptable.

We ordered "Tiramisu" and were so excited to eat it. It arrived 15 minutes late. When I peered in all I saw was a sloppy pile of cream with a very tiny sprinkle of cocoa. All it contains is a single teeny tiny layer of I kid not - ONE lady finger.... measly lying beneath the heavy handed dollop of some kind of whipped cream. No layers, no nicely constructed cake.... nothing. It weighs the same amount as a single peanut m&m. If it were summer outside I would take this cream filled pie tin and throw at their face, because that's the type of "tiramisu" they made us. So lame. We asked them to return it and they denied and refused. What a joke. Outrage...

The manager is a rude and racist. When we told her our opinion, she got angry and she asked to us, where we are from. (That pizza has not enough basel and mozeralla). She has bad attitude and told us that the recipe is standard and we were not Italian to criticize her pizza that is over 100 years old recipe. She could simply have listen the our criticism but not be rude. We will never go back to this place and I don't recommend their pizza . The pizza man's are Mexican not Italian. ironic....
