Maison Premiere is a charming spot in Williamsburg that combines the ambiance of Belle Epoque Paris, old French Quarter New Orleans, and modern-day Brooklyn. The establishment offers precise service and a nostalgic atmosphere that transports visitors to another time. Known for its extensive cocktail list featuring absinthe-focused drinks, seasonal concoctions, and a well-curated wine selection with an emphasis on traditional French wines, including an impressive array of grower Champagne, Muscadet, and White Burgundy.
Maison Premiere is truly a treasure. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to another era—The ambiance is intimate and romantic, perfect for a date night or special occasion. The oysters are incredibly fresh with a wide, carefully curated selection from both coasts. The presentation is thoughtful, we paired up with a good champagne. Service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. Claudia- Our server made us feel genuinely welcome. This is one of those places you’ll find yourself thinking about long after the night is over. If you’re in Brooklyn and love oysters, champagne , and ambiance that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a timeless classic, Maison Premiere is a must.

This oyster and wine bar truly surprised me! Even though I couldn’t drink because of some inflammation, I couldn’t resist coming here with my friend just for the oysters. Ambience: From the outside it looks like a small bar, but once you step in, it’s a whole different world. The décor is pure 1920s vintage style, and all the staff and bartenders are dressed in retro outfits—so stylish! The backyard is absolutely charming, to the point where I even thought, “I’d love to have a wedding here someday.” Food experience: We ordered the oyster platter and tried every kind they had. To my surprise, the smallest oysters (I think the third from the last) turned out to be the most delicious—absolutely amazing! And I have to give a huge shoutout to their sourdough bread. It was chewy, moist, not dry at all—honestly even better than the Beef Tartare it came with 😂. When I told the staff, they mentioned they recently got a new chef, and the bread actually comes from a bakery just 8 minutes away (something like “Woof”). Either way, it was fantastic. Music & vibe: The whole place was filled with funky jazz from a century ago, and it made me just want to dance. The vibe is perfect for dates, nights out with friends, or simply taking beautiful photos. Sadly, we ordered too much and couldn’t try the desserts this time, but I’ll definitely come back for them! 👉 In short: A hidden gem with amazing oysters, unforgettable sourdough, a romantic 1920s atmosphere, and music that makes you want to dance. Highly recommend!

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Maison Premiere in Williamsburg, NYC, USA. An outstanding seafood restaurant in the heart of Williamsburg — a true hidden gem! The entrance has a bit of a speakeasy vibe — there’s a small sign, but you need to look carefully to find it, and you enter through swinging saloon-style doors, which immediately set the mood. Inside, you’re transported to another decade: a beautiful oval bar, dim, jazzy lighting, and tables set close together, creating a lively and intimate atmosphere. Service was excellent — efficient and knowledgeable. We tried a selection of four different oysters, all fresh and unique, perfectly recommended by our waiter. The crab cake was outstanding — crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside, served with a great spicy sauce. We also had mussels and a salad, both well prepared, and ended with warm madeleines that were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Overall, an exceptional dining experience — elegant yet unpretentious, full of character and flavor. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a memorable seafood dinner in Williamsburg!

If you're a fan of oysters and absinthe, this spot is a must-visit! They offer an impressive selection of oysters and cocktails that never disappoint. The lobster is also a standout, packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. While we've never sat down for a full meal, we always make it a point to stop by for a quick drink, and it never fails to impress. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy fresh seafood and expertly crafted drinks!

Had this place saved for a while and finally booked a weekend afternoon spot. Went for the garden seating but had to switch inside after getting bug bites. The vibe inside was cozy with live music, which made a great impression. We ordered a cocktail, a whiskey soda, and oysters, fresh and tasty like an oyster spot should be. Left feeling pretty happy with the whole experience!
Selina L — Google review
Wonderful oyster bar that serves delicious food and cocktails. The vibe is on point. My absolute favorite is the chrysanthemum absinthe cocktail , the crab toast, and the lamb saddle. Do not miss the absinthe creme brulee as well! Service is warm and efficient. Highly recommended!

Up there with the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. The drinks were explained with passion and poured with care, every single dish was delicately prepared and bursting with flavor, and the dark, old-world vibe was immaculate. The perfect place to wile away an evening drinking and munching. Special thanks to Carling and Dustin for their exemplary service and energy. 10/10
Bardia R — Google review
Fresh high quality oysters! This place delivers a superb gastronomical punch and it has a very cozy tropical garden to go with it in the back! Pretty romantic spot! Influenced by New Orleans cuisine. Light jazz music playing and perfectly synchronized waters roam around to deliver an efficient service. The place is pricey but worth the price! Excellence and swag in the middle of Williamsburg!

Grand Central Oyster Bar is a renowned and historic establishment located in the bustling Grand Central Terminal. The restaurant offers a variety of seafood dishes, including raw oysters, pan roasts, and chowders. Despite occasional service issues, the quality of their cherrystones and Oyster Pan Roast remains top-notch. The restaurant's stunning architecture features a vaulted ceiling by Rafael Guastavino, adding to its allure.
Classic NYC seafood spot with fresh lobster and excellent oysters. Had a great experience at the Grand Central Oyster Bar! The lobster was fresh and perfectly cooked, the oysters were super tasty, and the wine selection paired beautifully with the seafood. It’s a classic spot with old-school charm, right in the heart of Grand Central Terminal.

I have been wanting to try this place for years and I finally made it. We just happened to come on a Thursday which is the only day they offer a happy hour special. Well worth it waiting till Thursday if you just want to check it out have a few items and enjoy the historic location. We have oysters clams and new England clam chowder. The soup was really good just the perfect balance of clams, taste and thickness of the soup. Calamari was also fresh, tender and included a nice red sauce for dipping. And of course the little neck clams and bluepoint oysters were amazing especially at $1.25 and $1.55/ea respectively. If you want the happy hour special you have to eat at the saloon bar in the back or the lounge area. Probably have to ask for the happy hour menu as they do not tell or offer it to you by choice.

Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant This place is a true New York classic. You can feel the history as soon as you walk in. The raw oysters here are incredible, so fresh and full of flavor. The Oysters Rockefeller are rich and delicious, and the New England clam chowder is everything you want it to be, creamy, comforting, and loaded with clams. My server Mary was that girl. Fast, friendly, and really knows her stuff. She took the time to explain the different oysters and helped me pick exactly what I’d like best. You can tell she cares about giving you a great experience. If you’re in Grand Central and craving amazing seafood, this is the spot.

This restaurant impressed us with its huge size and extensive menu. Excellent selection of oysters and seafood - everything was fresh and delicious. Service was outstanding, and prices were very reasonable. The place was packed even on a weekday, which says it all. An unexpectedly great experience for a station restaurant. Highly recommended.
Maxim A — Google review
Glad that we can have this restaurant just right next to the hotel we are staying at. Food quality is good and match its price. Service is excellent. They have a wide variety of raw oyster choices and they are very knowledgeable and willing to answer your questions before taking your order. Vibe is warm and casual.
Billy C — Google review
My wife and I had oysters, recommended by the waiter, clam chowder and red snapper with rice. The oysters were excellent and so good. They seemed little smaller than I expected but oh boy they are good. “White” clam chowder was another beauty!! The red snapper was super. The service was excellent.
James K — Google review
Can’t believe I lived in New York for almost my whole life went never went here, I surely missed out. We have a lot of similar places in Vegas but for this one feels a little different in a good way. The location is great, the atmosphere is fantastic and the the staff were all extremely attentive. I absolute loved my fried oyster po boy, and the squid risotto (which i forgot to photo) was just the right texture and that a dish you can mess up the texture in all sorts of ways 🤣. I would go back if I were in New York especially for the lunch specials. It’s not the most amazing seafood place but it’s extremely solid with fresh ingredients, and the ambience really pushes it over the edge, I have to give it 5 stars.
Daniel M — Google review
Dining here was a lovely experience. 💗 The menu could get a bit overwhelming due to the number of options, so it might be best to stick with their bestsellers. The oysters and other seafood were fresh.

Seafood restaurant
Cull & Pistol is a cozy seafood spot located in Chelsea Market, owned by the same people behind The Lobster Place. The restaurant's rustic and inviting atmosphere features subway-tile-lined walls, long wooden benches, and unique Edison bulbs. As it's connected to The Lobster Place, freshness is guaranteed with a variety of seafood options available. The menu highlights the 1.5-pound North Atlantic lobster prepared with tarragon butter or served steamed with drawn butter.
An authentic restaurant with delicious food and lovely staff. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. One of my favorite spots in Manhattan! Catch of the day is always an amazing choice. Some of the best oysters in the city, crab, scallops, mussels… the works! ♥️♥️♥️
Olivia R — Google review
We always get the lobster poutine when we visit and it never disappoints. We love it with extra cheese curds and gravy and it makes for an excellent indulgence. We also ordered the scallops and asked for it just be pan seared and it was perfectly cooked and well seasoned.
G S — Google review
I first went to the other side which is Lobster Palace because I really wanted a lobster roll and I heard great things. Lobster Palace only offers cold lobster rolls and directed me to Cull & Pistol. The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was great, and the food was simply amazing. That was the best lobster roll I've had, and the fries with the old bay seasoning was good too. My mom also really enjoyed her clam chowder. I would definitely return.
L S — Google review
I didn’t have a reservation when I stopped by Cull & Pistol Oyster Bar, 75 Ninth Ave, Manhattan, NY, but luckily I was able to grab a seat at the bar. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but it feels cozy and charming. Our server was excellent—offering great recommendations that really elevated the experience. I ordered both the Branzino and the Octopus, and each dish was plated beautifully, arrived promptly, and tasted just as good as it looked. I would definitely come back to dine here again. The only drawback is the location—you have to weave your way through the busy Chelsea Market to find it. If you don’t mind navigating the crowds, you’ll discover a real gem worth the effort.

Cull & Pistol 🦀🦞🦑 - Got the Grilled Spanish Octopus (was too chargrilled for me but still good) - Got the Lobster Roll with old bay fries (was not that impressed) - The New England Clam Chowder (which was really yummy) - For dessert got the key lime pie 🍋‍🟩

Such a delicious oyster experience. Very interesting menu, and the restaurant was very cool and makes you feel invited to eat more and more. We had a fantastic time and their cocktails were divine too. Very creative menu and the restaurant is perfect for seafood lovers! Highly recommend to everyone that enjoys seafood!
Thiers — Google review
I came on the last day of the restaurant week during happy hour. I had an oyster sampler before finally decided to get the pre-fixe menu. I love the higher salinity oysters. And their homemade vinegar is the perfect pair. If I had enough space in my stomach I would have ordered another round. The stone crab is also meaty and cooked just right, with a little bit of natural salinity. The pre-fixe meal is about the same price as the regular menu, but saves me from the decidophobia. I had the - New ENGLAND clam chowder: creamy, tasty, and full of crabmeat?. The flavor is just right - not too salty. Will order again. -grilled octopus: the octopus is very tender. I like the smokey charred outside, but the sauce and the beans are too salty. -banana puddin: a pleasant surprise! I wasn't expecting the pudding to be presented this way, but the flavor and texture is very well balanced! The crispy caramel layer is soo good with the custard and banana chunk. Thanks to the staffs who recommended this.

The Mermaid Inn is an upscale-casual seafood restaurant with a Cape Cod vibe, offering delicious lobster rolls and affordable oyster deals. During certain months, they host Happy Hour and a Half where oyster enthusiasts can enjoy East Coast oysters for $1 and West Coast Oysters for $1.75, along with discounted drinks. The restaurant also provides an Oysterpedia app for all things related to oysters.
One of my favorite happy hour places in NYC! A bit pricey and the portions are a bit small but still yummy! I also love the cute ambiance of the restaurant. It’s always a great time here. They even give you a complimentary chocolate pudding after your meal!

Very yummy seafood! Love the vibe here. They have a great variety of selections. The lobster dip was delicious! It was hard to make a decision as everything looked amazing.

A lovely fish restaurant in the East side of Manhattan, where multiple choice of fish will delight either your lunch, dinner or even better happy hour. The quality is outstanding as well as the staff, always able to help and accommodate any request. Oyster, shrimps, calamari and many other will make your decision time very difficult. You can sit outside on a warm sunny day, the atmosphere inside is even warmer, where you will be able to see your food being prepared. An excellent fish restaurant highly recommended.

Oyster bar restaurant
Grand Banks is a seasonal oyster bar located on the deck of a historic fishing boat, the Sherman Zwicker, docked at pier 25 on the Hudson River in Tribeca. The bar offers sustainably harvested oysters, with a focus on native Atlantic species from New York waters, as well as nautically inspired cocktails. Executive Chef Kerry Heffernan brings his expertise as a chef, fisherman, and conservationist to create an exceptional dining experience.
Unique restaurant with great views of the city and Jersey. Good food and ambience! Had a resy for 10:30 on a Saturday but to be honest it probably wasn’t needed as many seats were open. The brunch food was great! For me the avocado toast was standout although it was quite spicy (I thought it was perfect but it’s hot for others). French toast was also good. The meatballs were certainly unique for brunch. I thought they were pretty good though. One thing to note is that the boat does rock a bit so maybe those prone to sea sickness may want to be aware. Overall, I’d definitely come back as I thought the food was great and cool setting
Pat Z — Google review
glad we tried this place because they are super dog friendly, everyone was so welcoming. it’s super busy so you definitely need to reserve. the view is beautiful and the boat is nice, though it does rock and make you queasy. the drinks were delicious but took 45 mins to arrive, oysters came first and quickly. food took forever to order and even longer to arrive and it was mid tier at best. good lobster roll and good scallops but so overpriced. service was nonexistent. server took forever though she was really nice. had to flag someone else down to try and get our server and they said no words just walked away. price exorbitant given the quality you receive.
Zelda — Google review
This place is fantastic! I have been here a few times for lunch with my coworkers and it is always a really good experience. The boat dos have days that it sways a lot, so if you are a person that’s sensitive to motion sickness, then this is not the place for you. This is a seasonal restaurant, so they open in April and close towards end of October, depending on the weather. We ordered the lobster roll, scallops, spritz, and the chocolate dessert. All were really tasty! And don’t forget the view!
Issy M — Google review
This place is absolutely awesome! The food and drinks made my day everything was so delicious that I couldn’t get enough. The view was stunning, and the whole experience felt nostalgic, reminding me of the floating cottages in the Philippines. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for anyone who enjoys dining by the sea. The staff were polite, easy to talk to, and made me feel really comfortable throughout my visit. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for people who are sensitive to motion sickness, since the restaurant is on a boat and can sway a bit. If you love great food, refreshing drinks, and a beautiful waterfront view, I highly recommend making a reservation here. You won’t regret it!

Grand Banks is truly one of the most unique dining spots in NYC! Floating on the Hudson with unbeatable waterfront views, it’s the perfect place for a summer evening. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and every dish we tried had that perfect balance of flavor and elegance — simple, but done so right. Cocktails were top-tier and paired beautifully with the whole coastal vibe. The ambiance is laid-back yet refined, and the staff was welcoming and attentive, I'd only pay attention when reserving bc it can get really hot and uncomfortable to seat in the sun at noon so make sure you get a table with shadow or at the bar if you want to enjoy lunch not sweaty!! Whether you’re visiting the city or a local looking for something special, Grand Banks is a must. Can’t wait to go back!

Love this spot and try to come at least once in the summer. You definitely need a reservation. The boat is a little shaky, so check in with your date in case they get sea sick! Overall the vibe is great and if you sit at the oyster bar you get to see the chef opening the oysters. We tried the Southampton oysters, the scallops and the lobster roll and love it! Recommend checking out this place if you live in the area or visiting from out of town, it’s worth the trip.

🌟 Grand Banks Review — Best Waterfront Dining with a Statue of Liberty View If you're looking for a truly unforgettable NYC experience, Grand Banks on the Hudson delivers it all — amazing seafood, unbeatable sunset vibes, and a front-row view of the Statue of Liberty. Located on a historic wooden schooner docked at Pier 25, this floating oyster bar gives you that rare mix of casual elegance and postcard-perfect scenery. Whether you're sipping a cold cocktail or enjoying their fresh oysters, you’ll literally be dining on the water with Lady Liberty glowing in the distance. The atmosphere is chill but classy, perfect for date nights, special occasions, or just treating yourself. The staff is super friendly, the drinks are strong, and the seafood is fresh and well-seasoned. Try the lobster roll — it’s a favorite for a reason.

Came here 8/2 around 5pm. Service was really slow. Food was pretty subpar for the prices. $6 for a flat fountain Diet Coke. $39 for a lobster roll that should’ve been $19. Crudo was flavorless, but looked beautiful. The cherry on top was looking at the receipt after paying and noticing I was charged $3 for something called “charity water” that the waiter began pouring at the start of service without our consent, I said tap please and then couldn’t hear him over the music. But they poured water that they charged us for. Never had that happen in the city. I’m disappointed because this place was on my bucket list. You hope the food and drinks would offer something special, but it was all really disappointing. Way too overpriced for what it was.

Sel Rrose is a charming rustic-chic hangout located in the Lower East Side, offering a full raw bar, French-inspired small plates, and an array of cocktails. The ambiance exudes a weathered grandeur reminiscent of old Lower East Side saloons with a vibrant history. This spot is perfect for late-night gatherings as it stays buzzing even on weekdays. The menu features seasonal offerings of East and West coast oysters along with French-influenced main dishes.
Came here for their weekly happy hour. We came on a Monday at 5pm and had a reservation. They had 5 different types of $1 oysters for their happy hour, so me and my friend had a dozen each. So yummy! The drinks were less than $20 per cocktail and they had some interesting food options too. I liked the vibe of this place. It’s great for a date or for just catching up with friends.

We found this place by searching for $1 oyster happy hours, and are so glad we did! We loved it so much we came back a second day, and already have it on our list for our next trip to NYC. For the $1 oysters, they gave you a selection of all the oysters on their menu (I think there were about 5 different kinds). They were all briney and delicious, and tasted very fresh. We also tried the truffle fries, which made a nice palate cleanser among the oysters. The drinks were a little pricey, and they were out of the cider and some of the beers, so I just had water and enjoyed the oysters.

The happy hour oyster was so worth it! Beef tartar and lobster roll were what to die for! I am going back soon for the happy hour oysters . I tried smoky Havana . It was such a good strong drink and so toothsome. Server took time to come back to the table so I would have just order everything at once just to get food and drinks together! Love the pork liver too !

Stumbled upon this gem, and can’t wait to return! I haven’t been to the city since pre-Covid- and made reservations online with an oyster bar for happy hour- only to get there and it’s no longer in existence- i asked Google for “oysters near me” and it directed me to two- Sel Rrose happened to be in the direction of our next stop- we were thankfully surprised- great atmosphere, the staff was knowledgeable and made killer cocktails! Best Bourbon Manhattan I’ve had! As a chef, I’m picky, the oysters were fresh! The cucumber mignonette was refreshing with the sweet petites! And the bread service was anything but boring! Highly recommend!

Made a visit here with some friends for a Saturday dinner. They seated us for outside to cater to our pet and kept our seats socially distanced between the other customers. The employees were extremely friendly and gave us great food suggestions. Quick note they offer 2 dollar oyster happy hours! We started with some drinks - which were aesthetically pretty to look at - and kicked off our dinner with some oysters. We literally tried every single oyster option available in the menu because why not. In each round of oyster plate, we taste tested and compared each oyster; each giving off their own unique flavoring and freshness; we thoroughly enjoyed our experience taste testing the different oysters. We also shared a steak tartare, white truffle fries, and lobster roll, all in which exceeded expectations. (Lobster roll comes with fries - love fries). 10/10 highly recommend, especially for them oysters!

If you are looking for a date night spot, a solo quick bite, or a mid-week catch up with your best bud, stop by Sel Rose! Their ambiance and drinks won’t disappoint, and the oysters are delicious (catch their happy hour specials if you can). I stopped by for a solo date; and was greeted warmly by the bartenders.

Incredible oyster spot in the LES. Good service, outdoor seating and oyster happy hour. Lobster roll and chips were super fresh and satisfying. Kale salad was light and delish. Cool drinks and great atmosphere. Also lots of bar seating, would totally recommend and definitely will be back

Grand Army is a stylish bar in Downtown Brooklyn that offers an inviting space for patrons to enjoy sophisticated cocktails, craft beers, and raw-bar items such as oysters. The lobster roll at Grand Army is highly praised for its fresh taste and generous portions of lobster meat adorned with celery and just enough mayo.
Grand Army offers cocktails, drinks, and elevated American bar food. The happy hour includes oysters and discounts on selected drinks. Their house dirty martini is flavorful and savory, and they offered very tasty Montauk(?) oysters. Hot dogs were also tasty.

This is a neighborhood cocktail bar but also the kind of place that impresses at the same time. The atmosphere is sophisticated but welcoming, and they have cute outdoor seating. The cocktail program changes seasonally, and what’s great is that they’ll save some of the most popular cocktails on their regular menu, like the “I’d like to buy a vowel, Pat.” Their food menu features seafood dishes. The oyster selection is always excellent, and their lobster roll is good. Their bread is under-rated; it comes with a nice house butter that I think has paprika and has a nice depth of flavor. Don’t come here too hungry, though, as the price of the food options can add up quickly. The service is always excellent. Carson, if she still works there, is our favorite server, and she has given us complimentary tiny cocktails before, making us feel at home.

Had a great time (as per usual) at Grand Army for Friday happy hour. It was pretty packed, but we were able to nab one of the last open tables. Our server was very helpful and attentive. Drinks were great and had the coolest shaped ice cubes! The oysters were also phenomenal, as was the truffle dog. Great spot!

I’ve been coming here 1-2 times a year, for years (business traveller). While the drinks were always spectacular, I always found most of the servers a little too cool/ miserable/ unsmiling. Patty has changed this. I was here twice this week, and the food was outstanding, drinks still on point, but the staff were super nice. Keep hold of Patty.

The food at Oyster was good and the service was decent. The place has a nice atmosphere and looks beautiful. However, the prices are quite high compared to other similar restaurants. Overall, a pleasant experience but a bit pricey.

Visited Grand Army this past weekend. Highly recommend making a reservation if you decide to go. Even though it was full, the noise level wasn’t uncomfortable at any point and I was able to easily carry a conversation. All the bites came out quickly and they were solid. The drinks were really the star of our time, because they were just that good. I will be back and trying all the things I didn’t get to!

Made a reservation for a weeknight. Seeing positive reviews for happy hour we gave it a try. After comparing the prices to the a la carte and drinks menu I only found some cocktails that were reduced by a few dollars but the bites were the same price per portion- just reduced the portion and price in half. The calamari and nigiri were disappointing- covered in mayo and smallest portion for the price, the nigiri was soaked in sauce where all the rice fell apart… oysters were on the expensive side for claiming the HH and some of the west coast ones didn’t have much flavor Server was great attentive and efficient Left hungry although spend $100+ had to stop by another restaurant

We have eaten here several times over the last couple of years. This past week we went with our friends and had a great time. We ordered several dishes to share including fresh clams, salmon and tuna over fresh corn. All were amazing as we were expecting. Everyone there is very friendly and professional. Looking forward to our next dinner there.

To clarify all my reviews are based upon expectation vs reality. From the moment we were greeted by the host, this restaurant was on point. Excellent polite service and very prompt. The cocktails were decent and good ipa's. To start i had oysters, my wife had the cauliflower soup and my daughters boyfriend had the calamari. All were excellent, especially the soup. Was great in flavour and great consistency. Mains were superb. Just brilliant. My tuna was perfectly cooked and the sauce complimented and balanced the dish but the bed of corn was the showstopper. My wife had burramundi with asparagus which was cooked brilliantly with a great sear. The veggie pasta was brilliant and the salmon was again greatly cooked. Crispy skin but so well cooked it remained succulent and the accompanying components balanced the dish well. All.in all I would highly recommend a visit here. I would eat oysters to begin, cauliflower soup and the tuna. What a lovely combo. Great service, great food and great night!

Had a fun time at Crave Fishbar. we got the 24 oysters during happy hour (wish we could have gotten more!). The fish tacos were delicious and we also absolutely loved the calamari. I feel like personally, the Brussels sprouts kind of missed the spot for me. But other than that the food was great and our server was very nice. They even made us bees knees as drinks even though it wasn’t on the menu- and it was really wonderfully made.

Absolutely love this restaurant! The oyster selection was a seafood dream come true; fresh, briny, and just plain delicious. I was in oyster heaven! We snagged some oyster sliders (crispy, flavorful little bites of happiness!) and the salmon tostada. The salmon was fantastic, but I gotta be honest, the tostada itself was a tad on the crunchy side. The real showstopper for us was the plancha grilled octopus, it was cooked to absolute perfection, melt-in-your-mouth amazin! We also dove into their drink menu and tried three different concoctions. My personal fave? The Hugo Spritz. Sweet, bubbly, but with a sneaky kick – just how I like it! Beautiful decor, perfect for a relaxed night out. We're already planning our next visit!

The Clam is a charming seafood restaurant located in the West Village, offering a cozy and lively atmosphere. Chef and co-owner Mike Price presents a menu that highlights seasonal, market-driven ingredients with a playful emphasis on clams. The restaurant has become a local favorite due to its focus on delicious clam dishes, as well as offering a variety of shellfish, salads, and local seafood entrees. Additionally, The Clam features discounted oysters and cocktails for those looking for great deals.
I can't say enough about The Clam. This is one of my new favorite places. When we arrived, it was bustling. We enjoyed ourselves so much we were the last ones to leave. We were lucky enough to get a waitress named Julie. If you go, she's the one. Although everyone there seemed like they would be good. They all also worked well as a team. It's unusual to see these days. We had a lot of questions about the food and the drink, and Julie hung in there with us with a smile. All of our food was delicious. We cleared our plates. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.

I came here on a Sunday for lunch (they don’t have brunch which I prefer) in early September on a gorgeous day with one other person. We made the reservation a few days in advance but it wasn’t needed as the restaurant was mostly empty. I don’t understand why the restaurant wasn’t packed because the experience was truly lovely. The atmosphere of the space is adorable. The food is delicious. My husband said the Clam Chowder was the best he’s ever had. Our service from Gaby was delightful. This a very standard seafood fare experience done well. We will be back and I would recommend.

Came here on a lazy Saturday evening. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Matthew was such a great server and everything he recommended was fantastic. The food is simple but excellent. The lobster arancini and Kampachi crudo were stand out appetizers. The black sea bass entree was so fresh, with a sauce that was flavorful and paired perfectly. To top it off, we got the snickerdoodle dessert with espresso ice cream (instead of raspberry, as per Matthew’s recommendation) was a perfect way to end the night. Excellent spot overall and definitely coming back.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and, despite the place being packed, were seated after about a 10-minute wait. Service was a bit slow at first, but once we ordered, everything went smoothly. The West Coast oysters were excellent, and the grilled scallop was one of the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, with the avocado mousse adding a great balance. The peach salad was fresh and flavorful. The spaghetti with clams was outstanding — spicy in just the right way — and the halibut was juicy, pairing beautifully with the corn risotto. The Albariño wine complemented the meal nicely. The only letdown was the desserts, which I wouldn’t recommend. Overall, a very good dining experience — definitely worth visiting.

5 stars all around! I was on the bus when I spotted this beauty, hopped off and had an incredible meal! The spaghetti and clams were perfect, a tad bit too spicy. A great area too; lively with a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone willing to spend a bit to have a great time.

We really enjoyed the food here so it’s unfortunate that the service diminished the experience. We made a reservation for 7pm, and there were not many other tables filled at the time. We were seated immediately but it took longer than expected to put our order in, especially considering it was not busy when we arrived. I tried to catch the attention of one of the waitresses by looking at them, but it seemed like she tried to avoid eye contact and even turned away. I figured it was a coincidence the first 1-2 times, but after this happened 2 more times it felt intentional. Furthermore, no one told us about the specials (which we later found out from overhearing the nearby table being served that it was soft-shelled crab which sounded pretty good). I have no idea why the service for our party of 2 was so much worse than all the other tables in the restaurant, many of whom were seen promptly and professionally when the restaurant became significantly more packed. Once packed, it was very loud and hard to have a conversation. As for the food, the lobster and clam strip sliders were amazing. My partner really enjoyed his salmon risotto too. I’d have loved to come back again, but the service was so abysmal I would never set foot in here again.

Came here on a Friday night at 8pm and the place was at capacity, I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance. We got the clams and the swordfish special and they were delicious. The salad was pretty mediocre though (it was the only salad on their menu too!), it felt like the dressing wasn’t uniformly distributed and the plate in which it was served didn’t allow for us to mix it ourselves either. Overall, go for the seafood and clams and skip the salad. The vibe of the place was great!

One of my absolute favorite seafood spots in New York! I honestly love this place it’s become a go-to for me and my girlfriend. Last December, We traveled from PA just to visit this restaurant for my husband's bday. We visited Brooklyn again this year for the NYC marathon and low and behold, this place was only a few stops away on the subway. And I owed my hubs a lunch anywhere he wanted to go because I lost this year's NCAA basketball pool, so here we are. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. Nothing by our home compares to it. Oysters, lobster rolls, beer, friendly knowledgeable service. We hope to visit again soon. This is the best lunch we've had all year. ❤️❤️❤️

Went on a Friday evening during peak hours with a reservation for 2 at the bar bc Im not a fan of sidewalk dining, and I wanted to ensure that we'd be inside. Hostess was accommodating about seating, thanks! We were so so saddened that they were out of the raw scallop by the time we ordered, but the server did a good job of explaining their specials and we ordered the fried scallops instead, which were so tender and juicy they hardly needed dipping sauce! We also had the fish crudo, east coast oysters, mussels, and the lemon caper broil. All was so fresh and delicious. I really appreciated the light and complimentary sauces/seasonings that allowed the seafood to shine through. We topped off our meal with a cute little key lime pie 🍋‍🟩 Pricing was honestly very fair for the quality. The workers were efficient, sanitary, and friendly. The vibe inside the restaurant is well curated but not too intense or kitschy. We will definitely be returning!

The menu, featuring classic seafood dishes with inventive twists, reflects the freshest seasonal ingredients. Whether you’re savoring oysters from the raw bar or diving into a lobster roll, each dish captures the essence of seaside dining with a touch of New York sophistication. We stopped by for Happy Hour, which runs from 4pm to 6pm. We ordered the shrimp and avocado sliders, fish tacos, clam chowder, and lobster Mac and Cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious. Lure Fishbar is an upscale seafood restaurant located in SoHo, NYC, known for its luxurious yacht-themed interior and vibrant bar scene. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh fish from around the world, a rotating oyster selection at the raw bar, and a top-notch sushi program. The lobster roll is a standout dish, served on a buttery toasted brioche bun with mayo and chives.
I’ve been to this restaurant four times now, and every visit has been outstanding. The seafood is incredibly fresh, the staff is always warm, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. On top of that, the décor is beautiful; the space is designed to look like the inside of a boat, which adds to the whole dining experience. This has become one of my favorite spots in SoHo.

Great setting, food was average, and the cocktails were really good. The issue I had last night (Aug 26, 2025), was that I ordered 8 oysters and one of them was bad. Not a huge deal as I spit it out and I’m understanding, but I was expecting the restaurant to do something about it. I told the server about it when I asked for some ginger as a palate cleanser to get the bad taste out of my mouth, then the manager came over to apologize. The server and the manager went home since it was late, so I was given another server to close out my tab. Not only did the restaurant neglect to offer to pay for my drink (or anything), but the bad oyster was still on the bill. Problem is that I didn’t notice until after I had paid, and I didn’t want to explain the situation to the new server/manager to get a $4.50 refund. The point is that the first server and/or manager should’ve done something about it right when it was an issue. At the very least taken it off my bill. I’ve worked in restaurants in the last - that’s a big fumble.

Spacious, nice vibes and decor. The oysters were good. Also got the shrimp tempura. It was way too oily and it was overcooked and chewy. Didn’t expect it from a highly rated place. A below average experience.

I really loved it here! I just happen to come across this restaurant and decided to try it out. The ambiance and vibe was amazing, I absolutely loved the service and I was happy that they had a couple of options that a vegan like me can try! I had the cucumber roll and the avocado roll. It was so fresh. I also had a virgin mojito too. I give this restaurant a 10 out of 10. This restaurant gets bonus points from me too because I happen to meet Marlon Wayan while dining here. His energy was very nice and pleasant. I can’t wait to come back and try their other vegan options. Looking forward to it!

The service was top notch. The atmosphere is just absolutely adorable. Designed to feel like you are on a boat, the portholes especially were awesome. It felt warm and cozy with the wood tones and plaid chairs. The menu is good. Maybe they are more known for their sushi. We had two of the fish dishes...the Branzina and the halibut. Both really had almost no flavor which was disappointing given their description. The lobster bisque had a Smokey flavor and dare i say it, almost too many big chicks of lobster not mention $24 a bowl. I'd go back because of the inviting atmosphere but i think I'd try the sushi

Lure has been my go-to spot for years…There is always an upbeat sophisticated vibe, a menu with so many options and a superb staff..The team went above and beyond to make sure our anniversary dinner was 4 ⭐…We were pleasantly surprised when two glasses of champagne and a beautiful appetizer arrived quickly after we were seated…Our waitress Alicia was fantastic, as was the manager Razaki who made sure our experience was fabulous…Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the tuna tacos, spicy tuna rice, and crab cakes. Thank you for another special evening :)

Oyster bar restaurant
Flex Mussels is a casual seafood restaurant that offers variously prepared Prince Edward Island mussels and delectable desserts. The newly opened location provides an energetic dinner atmosphere, although it can get quite loud and crowded. Despite this, the mussels are highly recommended, with excellent flavors and broth. The lobster roll is also described as scrumptious. Additionally, the restaurant offers a variety of oysters and other seafood dishes that are outstanding.
For many years I have enjoyed everything they have to offer, whether it’s their happy hour specials, some delicious dessert donuts, or a big pot of mussels. Last night they blew us away with their summer lobster special that our whole family enjoyed. Such a treat!

Dined here earlier this week and had a lovely time. Arrived during the transition between lunch and dinner so had limited menu options but it was fine. What was available was delicious. I liked that alternative options to mussels in white wine sauce were listed, that was a nice change. This version of mussels had a nice kick. Bread had to be requested, it wasn’t included which was fine. Just could let all that yummy broth the mussels were sitting in go to waste. I’m a bit particular with French fries and these were perfect. I recommend checking this place out. Perfect for solo eating, a date, yap session with friends, etc. I’m not on the UES often but I definitely want to come back and try more of their menu.

Lovely neighborhood spot. Haven't been back in years but the mussels are still as good as I remember them! The donuts are always fun to have at the end. Pretty good oyster selection as well. Their Benedict is a sleeper hit. Most places don't make them that well but theirs is on point even though this is a mussel place lol

Kids friendly, Happy hours! The restaurant offers $8 small martini and $10 spritz. If you love to drink, you can go here all the time. Cheeseburger sliders, fish tacos, and and creamy mussels were very yummy. They have plenty of spaces on the ground level and second floor which I both visited. I see small kids all the time here!

Underwhelming Experience at Flex Mussels UES. Visited recently and left feeling the vibe didn't quite match the hype. The food, particularly the Bangkok mussels, was flavorful and tasty, but honestly, nothing extraordinary or show-stopping. Portion sizes were on the small side, and at $32 for the Bangkok mussels (plus an extra $11 for Old Bay fries which, by the way, great on their own but not worth the premium, especially when solid moules and frites are available citywide for around $28), it felt overpriced. Lack of personal touch during our visit added to the underwhelming experience. Worth a visit if you're in the area and craving mussels, but maybe not a must-visit destination. Just something to consider.

Miss the downtown location, but worth the trek uptown. Excellent mussels great drinks, and if the wreaths is nice, great indoor/outdoor seating. Perfect for people watching, mussels, and a nice crisp white wine or two.

Where do I start?! My experience from beginning to end was nothing short of amazing. It was the highlight of my day. Curtis and the staff really went above and beyond to give us the best experience. Very attentive! I didn’t have to call anyone for anything. They were so on top of it making sure our drinks were always filled, the bread was always filled and making sure we were enjoying everything. Now the food, wow. I couldn’t stop talking about how good everything tasted while I was eating. The Bangkok Mussels Pot special was so good, I went to sleep thinking about it. My friend tried the Parma and it was so tasty. We also got the Red Snapper ceviche and my goodness, so tasty!! The Parmesan truffle fries with that aioli was to dieeeee for 🤤 our drinks we so yummy we definitely repeated! The doughnuts, oh my goodness. Those were probably the best I’ve ever had. They were so fluffy and each one was different. 100/10. Very happy with my experience! Thank you!

Oyster bar restaurant
Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar is a cozy spot in the East Village known for its wide selection of east and west coast oysters. The small eatery offers over 20 varieties of oysters, with a knowledgeable staff to guide patrons through the options. In addition to oysters, they also have a small menu featuring fish specials and shellfish pasta.
We love this place. It is always great to come. The happy hour deal 5-7 pm is amazing. 6 oysters and a beer or wine for 12 bucks. Fresh oyster, delicious food, and amazing service - friendly, funny, and very helpful. If you like oysters, escargot, and / or bone marrow... this is the place to come and enjoy!
J P — Google review
My friend was craving some oysters after an early Saturday night dinner. We found Upstate and it was still pretty packed at around 8. We were able to put our names down for 9 PM for three seats at the bar. We ordered: -Oysters (Sea Kist, Wellfleet, Wave Lengths, Upstate's Own, Blue Whale) - these were all east coast oyster because the west coast ones were sold out. East coast oysters are priced at $2.85 each, which is reasonable IMO for regular pricing. There are some types of oysters that are plumper than others, so you can always ask for recommendations. All of the oysters were pretty good but I did get a few that weren't properly shucked -Little neck clams - I love a good clam, and these were nice and fresh. I might have liked them even more than the oysters -Escargot (snails slow cooked in basil and parsley butter) - this was probably one of the worst escargot I've ever eaten. It didn't really have much flavor, and the butter tasted like movie theater popcorn butter -Uni (Maine uni, quail egg, salmon roe with toast points) - this wasn't what I was expecting. It served on some sort of cauliflower puree (?), which masked the flavor of everything else. The bread also tasted a bit stale For drinks, I had the dragon stout, which reminded me of a Guinness Extra Stout. It was pretty good. They also have a nice variety of other beers on draft. If that's not your thing, they've got some wine and a few cocktails, but none of the cocktails appealed to me that night. The food menu sounds really good but if it's similar to the two dishes we ordered, I probably wouldn't try it. I would come back for more oysters/clams though!

Had a great experience at Upstate Craft Beer and Oyster Bar. The service was friendly and attentive, and the oysters were super fresh. Their happy hour deal is a steal, half a dozen oysters and a beer for just $12. The only small downside is that you have to order a beer to get the happy hour oyster pricing, but it's a fair trade-off. The calamari was also delicious, perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. Overall, a great spot with quality seafood and a relaxed vibe. I'll definitely be coming back!

This place is small but cozy. I love the waiter as I felt so welcome by his passionate service. Oyster is so fresh and cheap. They have a happy hour price, so if you order oyster before 7pm. You will get a great price with the drink. We ordered 2 rounds and we just loving it!!!! Will definitly visit again for sure!!!

Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar has a welcoming vibe and great NY food & drink offerings! The staff was warm & welcoming and although it was busy we felt valued and everything moved at a comfortable pace. We felt the prices were very reasonable and liked the ability to make a reservation (which was a good call for Saturday evening). They have a great oyster selection and we started with a delicious platter. I got the seafood risotto, which was great, and my wife got the Scallop Special which really stood out and we’d definitely repeat. Their craft beer selection is a good mix of varieties and we especially loved Old Man Winter from Southern Tier Brewing Company. Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar is now on our neighborhood-favorite list, we recommend it and will certainly be back! Date visited: 3/29/25

Incredible oyster/beer Happy Hour - quality selection of rotating taps, and their crab cakes, East Coast oysters, and roadted bone marrow were all delicious. Smaller spot, so ideal for groups of 2-4.

Just went here with my mom and it was great. We got the tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was sooooo good and fresh 🤤🤤. For entrees she got their clam pasta and loved it, and I got their special scallops which were super tasty!! It was a little noisy but personally I didn’t really care. Overall great service and the food was delicious!!! (They also gave us some free pound cake at the end which was nice)

Littleneck is a charming seafood spot near the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, offering a variety of delectable dishes. The menu features live lobsters poached in-house and served in toasted split-ton buns with mayo, lemon juice, and diced celery. For those who prefer it without mayo, there's the Connecticut style with butter. The restaurant's nautical decor includes salvaged ship parts and driftwood, creating a cozy atmosphere.
Amazing brunch! The clams and oysters on the half shell were fresh and cold. So many delicious options on the menu. Drinks were amazing too. Atmosphere was great. Arguably the best brunch in the city!

Had a nice time here for brunch today. We got great seats (corner booth, by the window) and the restaurant has a quaint, cozy feel. We started with a beer and the Bloody Murder (classic bloody mary topped with a piece of crispy fried chicken). What a thing to behold! Quite impressive. We started off by sharing an order of the P.E.I. MUSSELS (coconut curry broth, thai basil, cilantro, baguette). It was absolutely excellent and I would order it again in a heartbeat. I definitely recommend ordering extra bread to sop up the remaining broth, because it's delicious. For entrees, we had a LOBSTER ROLL (Maine style, but could be maine or connecticut style, house pickles, slaw) and an order of FISH & CHIPS (beer-battered local hake, LN tartar, old bay fries, house pickles, slaw). The latter was fantastic—they got the beer batter just right and the fries were lovely, too. The lobster roll was a fairly generous portion and seemed fresh, but the dressing was pretty lackluster/no taste. I took half home to dress it up there as not to waste it. I was actually really disappointed that they were out of my two top picks, the crab roll as well as the clam roll, both of which they're known for. I would give it another try because everything aside from the lobster roll was great, and I do really want to try the crab roll and clam roll. Another time!

We came for brunch and had oysters, Ricotta pancakes and a lobster roll. Everything was good. The oysters were small, fresh with subtle flavors, the pancakes were fluffy and light, and the lobster roll had a lot of lobster, which is not that common. The fries also tasted great, and service was seamless. Overall, a great hidden location for seafood in the neighborhood.

The fried whole porgy fish was delicious. Everything we ordered was not greasy. They were crispy and the batter was thin. The oyster and clams were very fresh. Love thw clam chowder. It did not have too much cream..you can taste the clam juice. The onlyndraw back is the servicem they are fast at getting orders but our food took forever to come out from the kitchen.

Unexpected in a great way!! First time here and came in on a whim. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Drinks were perfectly balanced...(Yes, there are some places that mess up a basic vodka & cranberry). We ordered several items off the menu and we were not disappointed. The littleneck clams tasted fresh and clean, the shrimp cocktail was excellent. For me the star was the clam roll...it tasted amazing and was stuffed full. I highly recommend it! Also the crab cake was light and flavorful. Then dessert came...YUM...these little donuts, made fresh, hot soft inside, crispy outside, with a Jameson infused whipped cream. I enjoyed the entire experience and will be visiting again bringing friends & family. I hope my next experience will be as great as my first, for my expectations are quite high now, so many places fall off because the quality goes down. Keep up the great work to the front and back of house.

Best lobster roll NYC :D Piled super high on a perfectly toasted and buttered, sturdy hot dog bun. Served with a perfectly reasonable amount of old bay fries and slaw. The Gowanus tower is a great appetizer order for two: a dozen oysters (3 varieties), six clams (come with mezcal vinegar - huge fan!! Brilliant idea!!), and six shrimp cocktail. That and a bottle of Riesling for less than the price of four glasses of the stuff really did the trick. If you want to fish out or if you miss your real New England upbringing, this is a great place to do it.

The best seafood in NYC. PERIOD. Challenge me to a duel to prove otherwise. Pistols at noon? You’re on. The Charred Squid Hash is the single best brunch item going. Outrageously good. Flavors for days. Constantly rotating oyster selection. Freshest of the fresh lobster rollls, clam rolls and crab rolls. Butternut squash soup with shrimp! Every single menu item is worth its own review. Great outdoor space. And a staff that truly cares about COVID protocols. Keeping everyone safe whether indoor or out. I love you, Littleneck.

Balthazar is an iconic French brasserie known for its steak frites, brunch, and pastries. After a yearlong closure due to the pandemic, the restaurant has reopened with 102 seats for outdoor dining. The charming space attracts a fashionable crowd who enjoy comfort food like Gruyere-topped French onion soup gratinee and herbaceous steak tartare from Balthazar's boulangerie next door.
Absolutely loved it here! We’ve wanted to try this spot for awhile; I’m so glad we were able to come for dinner. We didn’t have reservations, showed up at 4:40 and they told us to come back at 5:00 pm, because that’s when they begin seating for dinner. I ordered an iced tea, steak frites, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Everything was delicious and very fresh. There was plenty to share and the sides we ordered were for the table. I’ll definitely be back again soon to order the steak again. It was the best steak I’ve gotten in the city; it was juicy and hot. I loved it. We want to come back for brunch too; their breakfast options looked great too. There is also a pastry shop next door where you can order drinks and snacks. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

We had a nice early dinner here on our trip to the city. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is everything you’d expect. The food was great but did not quite live up to the expectations. We ordered the steak frites, gougeres, onion soup, ravioli, and short rib. Of the meal we would recommend the steak frites—the fries were amazing! The onion soup is also a must-order. The short rib was a bit dry. One thing to be mindful of when dining here is the proximity to neighbors, they really pack everyone they can get in here. Overall, would recommend going to cross it off the list.

I went to Balthazar on a Monday night and had such a great experience! I was seated right away and my server, Madeline, was super kind and attentive. She offered me a complimentary mocktail as soon as I sat down — it was originally a champagne, but since I don’t drink, she happily swapped it for a ginger mocktail, which was really good. This was my first time at Balthazar, and everything I ordered was amazing — the French onion soup, steak frites, profiteroles, and coffee. The soup was rich and flavorful, my steak was cooked perfectly (medium well, just right), and dessert was the perfect finish. Service was excellent — Madeline checked on me at just the right times, and I never had to look around for her. Everything was delicious, and I left super happy with my experience. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Great atmosphere and vibe. Amazing service and a must do if visiting NY. Food is your classic style French bistro food. I Booked well in advance or be prepared to wait 1-2 hours for a seat if you try a walk in.

We had a lovely early dinner here during our city trip. The staff were super friendly, and the vibe was warm and lively. The food was delicious—especially the truffle fries and onion soup! The short rib could’ve been a bit more tender, but overall everything was great. Tables are a little close, but that’s part of the charm. Definitely worth a visit!

Our plane back to NY was delayed so we cancelled our reservation and ended up at Balthazar at 11p on a Wednesday. The dining was lively and mostly full when we arrived. We were seated I a 2 top, corner booth that was perfect, and very comfortable. I ordered a gin martini that was served ice cold. My wife and I split the endive salad (I love the pickled pears), a cheeseburger with fries delicious), haricot vert (perfectly cooked and so fresh) and a caramelized and bruleed banana tart (gorgeous and excellent). When we left, well after midnight, the bar was still crowded with patrons enjoying themselves and bartenders who weren’t trying to rush them. What a nice and fun night! Thanks Keith. Also, I really enjoyed your book.

Breakfast at Baltazar had been on my bucket list for a while. I had the opportunity to return to New York City this past week and took advantage. With the publication of Keith McNally‘s memoir earlier this year, the experience was even more poignant. The service, as expected, was outstanding. The ambience was perfect, transporting you to a Parisian brasserie. And let’s not forget the food. Simply amazing.

One of the classiest spots in New York. I never skip it when I’m in town. The food is top-notch and the service is just perfect. But last time, something funny was going on with the music. The volume kept jumping up and down like it was DJing itself! At one point, it got so loud we could barely hear each other. And the playlist? Wild. Lady Gaga one minute, classical music the next. Maybe Gaga was visiting that night, who knows! Not taking off any stars for that, but hopefully next time the music chills a little. 🎶

The menu offers a delightful lobster roll served with house-made chips or optional old bay fries and side salad. Customers have raved about the Caesar salad, fries, garlic bread, and corn fritters as well.
Oysters are what brought me in and oysters are what will bring me back. It’s about quality, not quantity. My server Nathan deserves a shout out! I went with his recommendations and y’all he was spot on: the lobster spaghetti had a tons of meat in it-the pasta was married to the sauce and I’m kicking my feet writing about it. The crab dip was a great addition to our oysters, definitely try with their homemade hot sauces <3 I heard that the Tuesdays fish tacos are really good too 👁️

Excellent food and warm authentic service. We loved the food. Lobster Roll was excellent . We also ordered spaghetti with lobster, as well as some oysters, and both were equally delicious. My wife took me here for…I forget why lol. This place is incredible. We had the oysters, the smoked whitefish salad, the burger, and the lobster roll. Every item was better than the last. The oysters were fresh and incredible, the smoked whitefish salad slapped, the burger was insanely flavorful, and the lobster roll was so fresh, light, and perfectly seasoned. Garlic bread ruled and the cocktails were also great! Can’t wait to go back!

Loved this restaurant. The vibe is casual. I had the Croquetes, which were delicious and the Clams, which tasted super fresh. Their Cocktails are pricey but very good. I discovered this happy hour spot on the LES that runs until 7 PM—$1.50 oysters and $20 carafes, which isn’t bad at all. The bar area up front is pretty small with just a few tables, but it opens up in the back with more seating and a large communal table. I ordered a dozen oysters from the HH menu. They were on the smaller side and honestly didn’t feel worth it. I also tried the chorizo empanadas, which were baked into little squares, not your traditional fried ones. They were just okay, and I didn’t get much chorizo. The papas bravas were excellent, I loved the creamy sauce it came with. The mortadella and chorizo picante definitely was my favorite bite of the night. The tapas overall weren’t too pricey, but portions were small. They have a decent wine list too. I’d come back to explore more of the tapas and try a different wine next time.

Such a good time during happy hour. The oyster are now $1.50 (used to be $1) but damn they’re good. The white wine carafe is good too & cheap. Loved the tortilla and the mushroom croquettes. Loved the outdoor patio. Highly recommend!

Was given a warm welcome. The high tables with stools were wobbly but that's okay. Our waitress was attentive. The food was DELICIOUS! The drinks were yummy. However, there was a lady who approached me and asked me to surrender my water bottle that wasn't opened. I don't know her name, but I can say she looks like a distressed Margot Kidder. She told me when I left. I can ask for my water bottle back and I told her I may forget. But she was persistent and insisted on the water bottle until my fiancé took the water bottle, opened it and poured it into his cup of water. I don't know what the problem was, but she totally ruined my entire experience at this restaurant and that's what prompted me to close out my visit. If a customer is sitting at a table with a closed bottled water, they shouldn't have to be pestered to surrender it.

Bar Belly is a cocktail lover’s paradise! Hugo is an absolute artist behind the bar — every drink he makes is crafted with skill and style. The Pineapple Express was my personal favorite — bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. And the Pink Pony frozen cocktail? To die for! Sweet, fun, and dangerously delicious. Between the incredible drinks, the welcoming atmosphere, and Hugo’s top-notch service, Bar Belly has officially become one of my go-to NYC bars.

A friend and I stopped by for happy hour after work. The food was honestly just okay — not terrible, but definitely not memorable. You can find better bites elsewhere, so I wouldn’t come here specifically for a meal. That said, the drinks were fantastic! This feels much more like a “let’s grab a drink” spot rather than a sit-down dinner destination. The staff was friendly, and I loved the free popcorn they give out — such a fun touch. Their happy hour is solid, with $1 oysters and a pretty good menu overall. What really stood out to me, though, was the atmosphere. The vibe makes it a perfect place to grab a couple of drinks before heading out for the night.

My friends hyped this place up to me so I went with high hopes. The sound of a cocktail lounge with small bites is really good but they were playing the most random songs that did not add to the ambiance at all. If i am going to eat and drink on a crammed table the ambiance can make up for it but it was not the case. The only food item worth the money is probably the Short Rib Sliders. Pass on the croquettes and pigs in a blanket, they only come with a couple of them and leave you wanting more. Lastly the cocktails. They sounds really interesting and tasteful but when you drink it, its very lacklustre. The sweet ones are too sweet and the savoury ones are not savoury enough. I really was disappointed unfortunately. The waiters tried their best to recommend drinks i would like but the menu did not allow me to be satisfied at all.

Fantastic Place ! Great vibe - Good music ! Killer oyster happy hour ! Great non alcoholic options. Just want to mention server Grace - even though she was not my server (I sat at the bar ), she greeted me with big smile saying “welcome”; I sat at the bar (since my party was late and did not wanted to take a table) , she checked on me few times in a very unobtrusive way, just showing care , it made me feel like someone cares without intruding my space - that’s what I call an abundant hospitality ! Amazing $1 happy hour oysters served with complimentary truffle popcorn. The drinks are phenomenal as well. I got the Casanova and it’s my fave!

First and foremost: We came at happy hour on the recommendation of a girl working at the dispensary nearby. AMAZING rec!!!! Such a cute spot! Lit candles on each table, small and intimate, vibey music without being too loud..... exactly what we needed! And the happy hour was awesome! We each got a drink (please try the Casanova! SO good! Especially for those that like a sweet drink!) And we shared the Belly Tots! Awesome service, great food and drinks, fabulous vibes! Definitely a must stop in the area!!!

Ed's Lobster Bar is a seafood spot in SoHo with a New England fish-house atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including lobster rolls, fish plates, and a raw bar. One of the highlights is the lunch special, which includes a lobster roll, soup or salad, and a glass of wine or beer for $44.
Ed's Lobster Bar was one of our favorite stops in the city! This cozy little spot on the corner has the friendliest staff, and, of course, the most delicious lobster!😍 The tuna tartare served with warm zucchini chips was the perfect appetizer on a cool, rainy day. The lobster roll was overflowing with meat and the lobster Mac and cheese was a lighter cheese sauce that complimented how rich the lobster was. Our waiter also shared local recommendations that helped make our long weekend even better! We'll definitely be back next time we visit NYC!🤗🦞

Based on the menu, I wanted this to be so much more! The food was good and the presentation was solid. The clam chowder lacked a real heartiness, and the chilled lobster was served without lemon, a side plate, or proper claw cracker. I enjoyed it, but for the price I expected more.

Me and 2ic(the wife) were on a hop off hop on bus tour. And we ended up near little italy and China town. We saw some reviews on this restaurant and decided to give it a try. This was my wife first time eating g lobster. But I must say it was pretty good. A small shop with out door seating as well as indoor. Friendly service with some decent food. Tried the grilled cheese lobster BLT. And mac and cheese lobster. And my wife had a salad with lobster and fish and chips.. so if you are in the neighborhood and want some lobster I would recommend. The average cost per dish is about 20 to 25 dollars.

I’m so disappointed to write this review as I have been a huge Ed’s fan for years; I used to recommend it to anyone I knew visiting NYC. I hadn’t been to the city since Fall 2019, so this was the first time I’ve been in a long time. I’ve always loved the lobster ravioli. Tonight not only was the sauce not as tasty, but the lobster in the ravioli tasted more fishy. I’ll say, it was still pretty good, but nothing like it used to be. The lobster nachos were terrible. No lobster for starters, and then it was just greasy, kinda stale chips with a sub par cheese sauce, tons of tomatoes, and canned jalapeños. Lobster Mac and cheese: terrible. Bland sauce and I know that “some people” love it, but we didn’t like the green brains that had spread across the lobster. The lobster wasn’t good; it was stringy and mushy. Lobster roll, wow, how was this also bad? Tasted like there was lime juice in it…There was this sharp acidic taste that didn’t belong. It’s so expensive for mediocre food. What a bummer; I’ll miss the good Ed’s!

First time here and I like the service provided tonight. Handsome waiter took care of us. We ordered a bunch of apps with the unlimited mussels monday deal. While we ordered the mini lobster rolls, garlic Parmesan wings, fried calamari and French fries…the wings were sadly over powered by the garlic and Parmesan. But the calamari, rolls and mussels were great. But be warned, if you sit at the back of the restaurant, you may not get cell signal lol.

Came for brunch on a Saturday which had a special brunch menu. The oyster sampler provides 5 different types of oysters, 2 each, all of which were fresh. The fried clam roll was a special brunch menu item that came with fries. These clams were the biggest clams I’ve ever had, and the fries were perfectly crispy. The waiters were very friendly and honest with their recommendations. Would definitely come back as my go-to seafood place in the city.

This place was recommended by a New Yorker who moved away years ago. He said it was an amazing seafood spot for dinner. We went for lunch and it was pretty good. My fiancé got a lobster roll and I got 4 oysters. Both were pretty good. The oysters came with horseradish, cocktail, and mignonette. They were on point! Very clean and loose. My fiancé is from Maine so is picky with his lobster. Still not a bad roll. The service was quick, although I hear you could wait close to an hour in the evenings. Glad we tried it!

I couldn't have been happier with my experience! The food was great and Patricia was great! Attentive but not pushy. I wanted seafood for my birthday and the happy hour menu was a perfect way to start our meal. I also had their blueberry margarita. I highly recommend a trip there 😋

Mary's Fish Camp is a cozy seafood spot located in the West Village, named after its owner and chef Mary Redding. This nautical-themed restaurant has been serving classic New England fish shack-style dishes for over two decades. The menu features a variety of seafood options with some worldly flair, including daily specials and a raw bar selection. Visitors can enjoy favorites like the lobster roll, oyster po' boy, and Portuguese sardine banh mi sandwiches.
Thankful this spot was easy to get into for Saturday brunch and even more thankful the food was actually quite tasty. Monkfish sliders are delicious, and the brussel sprouts were well seasoned! Had the cod sandwich which came as a pan fried fish and sauce + tasty bread and vegetable toppings. Overall service was great although tables are packed a bit too tightly together.

I had not been here in years and I'm so thrilled to see that it was still in business and had survived the troubles. We had a very nice meal at a reasonable price All things considered these days. The waitress was lovely. Boyfriend had never been before and was very enthusiastic! The fried clams and oysters were absolutely on point. Perfectly crunchy and we loved the extra chunky tartar sauce. My boyfriend loved the fish tacos! I thought the salsa could have been more interesting. Clam chowder was good. The carrots were under roasted so kinda bland. The scallops were beautifully seared but the accompaniments could have had more oomph.

2023: Nothing has changed. Still excellent food and excellent experience. ---- Excellent food and wait staff. Here two (2) weekends in a row. Some mention slow delivery (I assume they mean to the table), but that's ok because we're there for not just the food but the full dinning experience (if you are in a rush you should let them know).

Update 2022 👉 always a favorite spot for cod fosh sandwich and, everything on the menu 🤩 2019 👉Love it here, lunch or dinner. The food is always good; and service super friendly. Love sitting on the bar or the corner by the window for lunch or dinner. My favorite is fish tacos with any sides or appetizers for the season. So fresh, so yummy, so good 💓🦞

Delicious crab salad - amazing oysters - wonderful service in a really packed small restaurant. The perfect experience in Greenwich Village. Super fresh everything, perfectly prepared and served!
Brian B — Google review
Amazing food - as always. But this time an unsettling experience - an exchange initiated by a member of the wait staff toward a customer at another table. She confronted them rather loudly (and rudely) about the amount of the tip they were leaving. In essence she was publicly shaming the customer so the whole restaurant could hear it. (From the customer’s reaction -it did look like there was an honest mistake made with the cash given to her.) Understand the frustrations of wait staff - but not the way you handle this in the service industry. It should have been done in a much more discreet and quieter manner.

Nestled in the vibrant Lower East Side, Grey Lady is a charming bar and seafood restaurant that pays homage to Nantucket's foggy nickname. From Sunday to Friday, patrons can indulge in $1 oysters and refreshing drinks at unbeatable prices.
I randomly passed by this seafood spot and decided to stop — so glad I did! I had the lobster bun and oysters, and both were incredibly fresh and tasty. The outdoor seating had such good vibes, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal by the street. Great find, and I’ll definitely come back!

I rented out a room here for my 30th birthday dinner and the experience was amazing. The entire team was extremely easy to work with, food and drinks were delicious, and the space was beautiful. Our party had our own bartender (his name was Tree, not sure if I’m spelling correctly) and he was absolutely awesome! He went above and beyond serving us and making amazing drinks. I’d highly recommend Grey Lady if you’re looking to book a private party! Amazing experience all around, 10/10.

I had zero expectations for the Happy Hour goodies, but this burger + martini deal is unreal! Honestly, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Maybe it’s the double patties, the fresh fluffy bun… not sure, but it was seriously delicious. Gin martini was well made and the bartender was super nice guy. Love the vibe and awesome crowd here.

$1 Oyster Happy Hour - do I need to say more? Plus, recommended by a NYC local, come check out Grey Lady! We got 18 total which were nice and fresh. Some on the smaller side, but mostly big juicy boys. All the bells and whistles included for a lovely oyster experience. Also can’t fault the $6 draught beers, definitely full pint sized. Would come back for another happy hour in a heartbeat.

Had an amazing time at Grey Lady! The vibe was relaxed yet lively — perfect for a night out with friends. The highlight was definitely their $1 oyster special — fresh, briny, and absolutely delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality; each oyster was perfectly shucked and chilled just right. Paired with a cocktail and the upbeat atmosphere, it made for the perfect start to the evening. Highly recommend stopping by for the oyster deal and staying for the great drinks and service. Definitely one of the best happy hour finds in the city! 🦪🍸

Supppper good. We got a lobster roll and fries (market price was $38). Everything was portioned good and after adding salt it was a pretty perfect meal. Worth it imo, it's near a lot of cool spots like the Tenement Museum so it's a great place to grab a bite after an activity. I didn't get the oysters but I hear the deal is great so I'll definitely be back for that.

The Sea Fire Grill is an upscale seafood restaurant that offers a sophisticated dining experience. It is the brainchild of Benjamin Steakhouse, known for its perfected traditional steakhouse. The restaurant boasts a spacious dining room with a cozy fireplace and black walnut wine racks, creating an elegant ambiance. The menu features locally-sourced American seafood, including lobster, crab, and various fish dishes prepared with great attention to detail.
If you’re searching for an unforgettable seafood and steakhouse experience in Midtown East, look no further than Sea Fire Grill. From the moment you step inside, the warm, cozy ambiance welcomes you in, with a roaring fireplace that sets the perfect tone for an elegant yet inviting meal. The menu is a masterclass in indulgence, where every dish impresses. The tuna tartare was a standout—so fresh, so perfectly balanced, that I could eat it every day and never tire of it. The scallops were divine, cooked to perfection with a delicate sear, while the ribeye steak was an absolute showstopper—juicy, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And let’s not forget the balsamic Brussels sprouts, possibly the best I’ve ever had. Pair all of this with exquisite drinks, and you have a meal that leaves a lasting impression. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly attentive, their recommendations were flawless, and we were treated like royalty from start to finish. Sea Fire Grill is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-tier seafood and steak in a refined yet comfortable setting. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to an extraordinary meal, this restaurant delivers on every level. Highly recommended!

Sea Fire Grill offered an extraordinary seafood dining experience that left a lasting impression. We began our meal with a rich and creamy lobster bisque, which was perfectly seasoned and had a smooth texture that was incredibly satisfying. Following this, we indulged in succulent grilled prawns that were marinated to perfection, resulting in a delightful burst of flavor with each bite. The creamed spinach that accompanied our dishes was velvety smooth and complemented the other flavors beautifully. For the main course, we chose the tomahawk steak, which was cooked to our exact specifications, resulting in a tender and juicy piece of meat that was a true culinary delight. To top off our meal, we savored the crab-stuffed lobster, a dish that was both visually appealing and bursting with the fresh, sweet taste of crab meat. In addition to the exceptional food, the service at Sea Fire Grill was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredibly attentive, always ensuring that our glasses were refilled and that we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Their kindness and professionalism made us feel truly welcome and valued as guests. The restaurant itself provided the perfect setting for a weeknight dinner, offering a balance between a cozy and casual atmosphere and a formal dining experience. The beautiful instrumental music playing softly in the background, combined with the dim lighting, created an ambiance that was both intimate and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a memorable evening.

We went to have a nice enjoyable dinner at The Seafire grill . The name itself was already very inviting especially if you like a seafood. It was a Holliday evening and we expected to have a great time with the delicious food. We met a relaxing atmosphere, classic interior with white tablecloth, candles and nice tableware, welcoming space with the dimmed lights. The menu printing was hard to read but staff was very welcoming and gave us some guidelines. I highly appreciate that the music was not loud and we could have a pleasant conversation. The basket of warm bread with butter, olive oil and spread was served as complement from the beginning. The order included two appetisers: Jumbo Lamp crab cake and Spanish octopus. Spanish octopus was the star dish, very well seasoned and balanced with vegetables and the most tender and juicy meat. We enjoyed it very much. I cannot say l like a crab cake. It was very dense, hard with few sauces which were plain and didn’t complement the dish in any way. The pillow of sliced celery root under cake was dry and tough to chew. Not really enjoyable combination. For a main course we chose a classic: a piece of fish and a piece of beef, and it was a disappointment. The piece of beef that we got cannot be served as bone in ribeye for $90. It felt as several times defrosted meat with the texture of paper. Just look at the picture. The side you should order separately. And we did. Fries. No words. The other entree was fish of the day: fresh catches: filet of Striped bass served on sauced Brussels sprouts. Taste of cabbage was extensive sour, overwhelming with balsamic vinegar and the fish was dry, unflavoured and the it had a greyish color. I know my review sounds harsh. Maybe it was that restaurant’s bad day, not great products delivery, anything? But over $300 check for two with such quality is unacceptable. The restaurant was almost empty with just few tables occupied. I give 3 stars for just a such a nice place, great location, carrying personal and future positive perspectives.

Good food and great service. Sommelier in the house and did a great job recommending wine pairing with foods. Lobster Bisque was too salty and small amount of lobster bits. Filet mignon was done well, medium rare, juicy, tender and tasty.

We went here for my birthday dinner last night, and everything was absolutely phenomenal! I ordered the salmon, and my boyfriend had the steak. For sides, we chose the lobster mac and cheese and the creamed spinach, both were incredible. We started with oysters as an appetizer, and every dish was a solid 10 out of 10. They surprised us with a slice of cheesecake for dessert, and it was probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had and I’m not even a big cheesecake person. The waitstaff and team were all super friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Situated near the iconic Grand Central Station in Midtown East, this eatery offers a diverse menu featuring fresh fish and expertly crafted dishes. The raw bar presents an array of options including shrimp, crab, clams, and daily east coast and west coast oysters.
Wow! What a great experience we had - I am always a bit hesitant when menus do not have Gluten Free options noted on the menu (it really isn't that hard and it does make it so much easier for us celiacs) but I will give this restaurant a pass, as the server did an amazing job of ensuring the selections I made met the *GF* standards. The service was top notch, not too pushy, yet attentive enough to get our orders when needed. The food was a knock out, I consider myself a wedge salad expert and this is one of the best, alongside oysters rockafeller (no breadcrumbs) and truffle fries (they do not have a dedicated fryer - I am not super sensitive and can have a few without incident). We stayed and had after dinner drinks, and were not disappointed with the service and overall experience. Next time we are back in NYC, this will definitely be a place we will visit!

We used to live 9 blocks from here and went quite often. Coming back for a meal was coming home to the neighborhood. We had the scampi starter, iceberg wedge fried calamari, baked lobster with baked potato and coleslaw, grilled striped Sea-bass with lobster mashed potatoes. All followed up with key lime pie. The scampi and the baked lobster Keylime pie were the superstars. The rest were good supporting dishes. The staff is motivated and enthusiastic and Margaret is very welcoming.

Great spot for after work drinks, lunch meetings, and even dinner. Food is high quality. Oysters are fresh, as are calamari, and shrimp dishes. The lunch deal with an appetizer and main is a good deal, although it can feel a bit glutinous as servings are quite generous. I've not had a bad meal there. Happy hour drinks are also cheerful, and not so packed. Bar staff are friendly. At lunch and dinner the service has been ok, they take your order, nothing to write home about. Ample room and quiet enough to talk. Good wine selection.

This place HAS NOT LOST ITS QUALITY, Amazing great, fresh food!!! 11/11/2026- Went with my parents for a late lunch. Taking vacation time off to spend time with them! Ordered from the main menu. The fried calamari was sooo soft and well-battered. The dragon roll was delicious and the baked clams were incredibly buttery. Our main entree was salmon. We each loved it. Crispy skin and great squash side. Salmon cooked delicious!!! 2 rounds of Chablis, … I had my Belvedere martini and the service was impeccable. A proper and decent $430.00 meal! Will go there again! Next will try the raw oysters and I’m sure my wife will want to eat the tuna steak!

My partner and I went here on Valentine’s Day and got the three-course prix fixe. The atmosphere was lively, the service was excellent, and I definitely want to come back in the summer season. There are multiple outdoor spaces and almost all the windows open fully. The cocktails and the food we had were great and overall nothing was too expensive.

I wish I could give this place overall 5 stars because the waitress and atmosphere here are all great, however the food has declined so much it’s a HARD pass for me. The lobster rolls best feature is the buttery bread it’s served on. By far the blandest seafood I’ve tasted. I’d rather drink seawater , I bet it would have more flavor than that. Great place for drinks, pass on the food.

Nice breeze, free mini golf, but the food is mediocre at best. Mussels were not fresh, deviled eggs were the worst. Everything else was so so. We spent $240 total for 3 people (two adults, one kid). I will not be visiting again for the food. Maybe I'll stop by for drinks at night.

Brooklyn Crab in Red Hook is nothing short of a gem. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by an atmosphere that perfectly blends rustic charm with vibrant coastal vibes. I highly recommend the crab dishes; they are cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The menu offers a variety of options, ensuring there's something for everyone. Pair your meal with one of their creative cocktails or a cold beer, and you're in for a treat. The service at Brooklyn Crab truly stands out. Michael and Zay were exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, ensuring we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. Every aspect of our visit was fantastic, from the stunning views of the waterfront to the delicious food and impeccable service. I loved everything about this place, and I can't wait to return. Randazzo's is a casual waterfront seafood restaurant in Brooklyn serving fried calamari and other dishes. It's known for its fresh seafood and casual atmosphere.
Nothing has changed here. The raw clams and calamari were off the chain. First time trying the lobster bisque and that also slapped! Can’t wait for another excuse to grab some more!

It is fine. It is decent. A neighborhood seafood diner I guess. No frills in the food. I should have ordered something different as opposed to the usual. Coke is a bit expensive for the tiny bottle. This place definitely attracts a local crowd. The zucchini fries had no flavor. They are better at Carl's Jr . The hamburger bun looked very cheap and unappetizing.

Some spots just get it right — Randazzo’s Clam Bar in Sheepshead Bay has been serving up seafood glory since 1963, and honestly, I think the sauce has more wisdom than half the guys I know. 😎 I grew up coming here as a kid, back when I thought “half and half” meant sharing fries with my brother. Now I know it means fried calamari and shrimp swimming in that legendary hot Randazzo sauce — with a biscuit that’s basically a trophy for finishing the plate. 🦑🍤🔥 Topped it off with a bowl of lobster bisque so creamy it could’ve paid rent in Brooklyn and still had change left over. Some things shouldn’t change — like this place. Fresh, spotless, proud, and serving flavor since before most of us were even a thought. If you haven’t been here yet… seriously, what are you waiting for? #randazzosclambar #brooklynfoodie #sheepsheadbay #seafoodlover #oldschoolflavor #nyceats #foodieinthebigapple2025 #masculineeats #calamari #lobsterbisque #classicsneverdie

Randazzo’s has been a beloved staple in my family for generations — we’ve been feasting here since before I was even born. And when I say “feasting,” I mean it. This isn’t just a meal, it’s a full-on seafood celebration. For my brother’s birthday, we came ready to indulge, and as always, Randazzo’s delivered. Fresh-as-ever raw clams and oysters set the tone, followed by classics like clams in white sauce and buttery shrimp scampi — each bite reminding us why this place is an icon. The atmosphere? A perfectly tamed chaos. The moment one table clears, two more fill. The staff? Warm, welcoming, and on top of everything. And the cherry on top — after your meal, you can stroll right over to the pier across the street to soak in the salty breeze. This Brooklyn gem hasn’t lost an ounce of its charm. Run, don’t walk, to Randazzo’s. For more foodie gems like this, follow @blaze_eatsnyc!

Came here for lunch in the beginning of Sept so it wasn't really busy. This is sort of a no frill, family restaurant. It's a staple of sheepshead bay. Ordered a garlic lobster, clam chowder, seafood pasta, and a fish fillet. Everything was phenomenal as always. The lobster was slightly overcooked - came out a bit chewy.

Blue Seafood Bar and Eatery is a spacious and airy restaurant in HK that offers a great ambiance, making it a very nice place to visit. The interior is lovely, and they serve excellent cocktails, with the habanero being highly recommended. Their menu specializes in small plates, oysters, crudo, and charcuterie. The portions are generous, and the oysters are particularly noteworthy for their freshness and quality.
Great seafood, the ceviche and the risotto are amazing. Small seating area and tables but you don't feel overcrowded. All the seafood we tried was very flavorful and good portion sizes, main dishes are easily shareable.

I came here on a Saturday night in late February with two others for dinner. The temperature outside was seasonal and dry. We made the reservation earlier in the week. The restaurant was lively but not full so it seems like the restaurant could have accommodated a walk-in reservation. Our server was lovely, patient, and knowledgeable of the menu. I hope the restaurant is taking great care of her because she is a great asset. The menu seems a bit overly eclectic. I chose the lobster bisque pasta which tasted like nothing. If I came back, I would not order a pasta and would probably choose something from the seafood or Tapas menu. I would go back to this restaurant is someone else I was dining with suggested it, but I wouldn’t seek it out or specifically recommend it.

I came here for Happy Hour oysters and drinks and I had an amazing experience. The oysters are super fresh and the staff are so kind and welcoming. I think this will become our go to oyster place from this point 🦪🧡
Dayeon K — Google review
I ordered the Vongole Bianco. The flavor was good, but the clams were completely cold. It seemed like they had been cooked, set aside, and then plated later. However, the serving temperature was simply unacceptable. The pasta plate itself was also cold, so by the time I finished eating, it was almost like a chilled pasta dish. I’m not sure whether the timing with other dishes was off or if it was plated on a cold dish, but every dish should be served at an appropriate temperature—and this restaurant failed to do that. The service and atmosphere were pleasant, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to its price. Overall, a disappointing experience.

I love this place! I come here every time I’m in New York! The food is always amazing and I have a favorite waiter here - Mihaela, who is always so kind and so funny and so nice! I highly recommend the sage ravioli and their goat cheese and crunchy almonds salad! 5 stars! ♥️ see you next year!

This place deserves a 10 star review! **★★★★★★★★★★ Absolutely Outstanding!** What an incredible dining experience at Blue Seafood Bar and Eatery! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The branzino was cooked to absolute perfection - flaky, tender, and seasoned beautifully. You can tell they really know their way around fresh seafood here. The last time we had Branzino was at Wolfgang Pucks restaurant and Blue Seafood Bar and Eatery blow his recipe out of the water! The lobster topped burrata salad was equally impressive, sweet and succulent with that perfect ocean flavor that only comes from the highest quality ingredients. creamy, fresh burrata paired with perfectly balanced accompaniments that made each bite a little piece of heaven. And don't even get me started on the pear diver martini - it was expertly crafted with just the right balance of flavors, refreshing and sophisticated. But what really made the evening was the service. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and clearly passionate about providing an exceptional experience. The entire staff seemed to work in perfect harmony. Blue Seafood Bar and Eatery has absolutely earned a permanent spot on our New York City must-visit list. This is what dining out should be - exceptional food, expertly prepared by top notch chefs, served by people who truly care about their craft. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-tier seafood experience. This place is a true gem!

Thai restaurant
Restaurant
Seafood restaurant
Fish Cheeks is a vibrant Thai restaurant located in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood, owned and operated by brothers and chefs Ohm and Chat Suansilphong. The eatery offers a unique blend of Thai seafood dishes with a lively bar scene, creating an energetic atmosphere. The menu features shareable plates of fresh and flavorful seafood with a distinct Thai flavor profile, including coconut-crab curry, zabb chicken wings, grilled or fried whole fish, and more.
Becoming a regular at Fish Cheeks now, and it is consistently bold and flavorful. The pork cheek appetizer is one of my favourites with its rich, juicy texture and savory punch. The Isan style grilled chicken paired with crab fried rice truly hits the spot— the chicken is juicy, tender with a nice char, and the fried rice is light but generously filled with crab. The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic, though it can get a bit loud and seating feels tight when it is busy. Prices are on the higher side but with generous portions and the food quality makes it worthwhile.

Came at noon for lunch without a reservation. There was a short line. Waited about 5-10 minutes and then they seated our party of three. The cocktails are stunning, one more gorgeous than the next. We ordered 2 apps, the shrimp ceviche and the crispy pork fried rice. We each ordered our own entrees, a crab curry, sticky crispy pork belly, and crab with glass noodles. I had the noodle dish which had jumbo lump crab and pieces of bacon. While everything was tasty, the noodle dish was the best out of the three. Definitely recommend.

‘Fish Cheeks’ is hands-down, my favorite restaurant in all of New York City. The food is incredible. Having eaten almost everything off the menu at one point or another I can honestly say that the flavors are comforting and bold at the same time. My favorites are the curry scallops, Crab curry, The crab fried rice, beef Karpow, The crispy rice salad with pork, The oysters, The raw marinated crab, the tile fish, and how could I forget the Zabb Wings!!! I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, the attention to detail, the bathroom fixtures!!! Every single time I’ve been here the staff has been nothing but inviting and kind. Always eager to answer any questions and attentive. It’s so good that I have to go at least once a month sometimes more ha ha ha ha and I tell everyone that I know to go. Not that fish cheeks needs another great review But I cannot recommend it enough!!

Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. So delicious. I’ve been to Thailand, and this food was better than some I had over there… which is wild & incredible & says so much about the New York food scene. It was delicious. Service was quick, atmosphere was electric. 10/10!

All I can say is that I was blown away by the restaurant's decor, service, and the depth of flavor in everything I tried at Fish Cheeks. They delivered in every way, and I was particularly impressed with their Zabb Wings, Mussels and Duck Curry. The dry rub on the wings (which you can buy on their website) topped with fried makrut lime leaves are incredibly unique, and was a standout detail of the meal. This is a place I will be talking about and recommending for a long time. Make a reservation in advance, or - my favorite - have a late lunch and the make dinner plans for later in the night around 9:30-10pm to walk up. Works even on a Saturday night. Enjoy!
Matt B — Google review
Fish Cheeks delivers some of the freshest, most vibrant Thai flavors in NYC. The dishes come out fast, bold, and full of heat — exactly what Thai seafood should be. The Zabb wings are super crispy with an addictive tang, and the whole fried fish is a must-order for the table. The space is lively, stylish, and always packed, but the service stays friendly and efficient. Portions are generous and perfect for sharing. A great spot if you love bright, spicy, authentic Thai flavors done right.

The food was delicious! I almost gave it 5 stars because every dish was so flavorful. The only issue? The Prawn Karee. They serve the prawns with the shells still on — why?! You end up having to dig in with your hands, peel the prawns, and by the time you’re done, there’s barely any curry left on them. Then you have to dip them back in, which just gets messy. If they peeled the prawns first, this would easily be a 5-star dish. Also, there was only 1 bathroom for the WHOLE restaurant. You had to wait 20 mins each time! Just standing there with prawn fingers 😩 Still, everything tasted amazing overall! I would recommend everything we ordered. What we ordered: - The Branzino - Zabb Wings - Pork Cheeks - The Beef Karpow - Prawn Karee - Crab Fried Rice

Walked up at 5:00pm on a weekday table for two seated right away. Service was quick we had our food within 20 mins. The oysters were great. We also had clams in a delicious sauce. I would eat here again. Lil pricey but worth it. Should have done the oyster happy hour before 5! I also have a shell fish allergy and the staff took the time to write out dishes with unknown shrimp oils and pastes.

American restaurant
Hamburger restaurant
Mayfield is a trendy new American restaurant serving innovative and unexpected dishes in vintage-inspired surroundings. The omelette was delicious, but the French toast really made the meal. They always pour a great mimosa with just the right balance of sweetness and acidity, making it a perfect drink to enjoy with any meal. Other standout items on the menu include the spoon bread (which is definitely worth trying) and the ricotta donuts (which are absolutely amazing).
Good American cuisine done well, with an elevated twist. Five of us were able to make a last minute Friday night reservation and get a spot at 20:00. We got one main each and it was a perfect amount of food. I really loved the variety of vegetarian dishes available, including some great pasta dishes and salads. The cauliflower custard was really unique, but so good. The brussels sprout salad with beetroot that accompanied the custard was amazing!

It's a cute/quaint place to go to. Casual yet cute enough to take for a date night or happy hour with the girls. However....the food leaves the taste buds wanting more. It looks beautiful and is decent, but not leaving your mouth wanting more. The service, while not always visible, is very nice, as the waitress offered to get me a new entree when my steak was cooked incorrectly to my liking. Granted, even on the 2nd attempt, they still could not deliver a mid-rare steak, but it was seasoned well. Drinks are good
Melissa “ — Google review
They were more then happy to accommodate a large party. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars is because I think they should take the fried mushrooms and lox off the menu. It was a weird combination the didn't make sense. But the other entrees were amazing. The eggplant sandwich I've been ordering since the pandemic. Still good!
Brigitte B — Google review
This place needs to tighten up a bit especially considering it’s not a cheap spot…3/12 of my oysters were very gritty…to the point I still had sand in my mouth after eating them and the $16 cocktail was full of mostly ice. I’m a small women with not much of a tolerance and the drink was gone in under 5 minutes. You kind of feel taken advantage of when you get a drink like that….The entree was fine though!

Came here for brunch on a Saturday around 1 and was seating immediately. The French toast is amazing! Skip the patty melt - the meat tasted off. The burger was solid - I appreciate the toppings options. Friendly staff who are able to tolerate the very warm inside of the restaurant.

We came into Mayfield for dinner without a reservation. I felt lucky we were able to get a table outside on such short notice, but my joy quickly stopped there. We ordered a mezcal drink, snow pea salad, fried oysters, and fish and chips. The mezcal drink was decent. As a whole, I could tell there was thought behind the food. Unfortunately, in my opinion the flavors just weren’t there and the execution fell flat. The snow pea salad was covered in some kind of creamy and umami filled dressing. The individual components were good but I think the salad would have been better with a different flavor profile, perhaps something more refreshing and light. As a result of the dressing the salad just didn’t taste that good, even though the ingredients were fresh. The fried oysters sat on top of a sizable bed of smoked salmon and celeriac salad. Individually the fried oysters and smoked were good but the celeriac salad felt out of place. This dish felt like it would have been better with its individual components separated instead of together. Lastly the fish and chips was a disappointment. The batter itself was fried well but the fish was overcooked. The batter was crisp on the outside but slightly chewy on the inside. This would have been great had the batter had some actual flavor in it. The fish itself was overcooked and somehow lacking in flavor. The fries were decent but I expect the fries to be at least this good from a restaurant of this price point and caliber. Overall I could tell there was intention behind the food but felt the execution fell flat. Many of the dishes had great notes of flavor but just didn’t appeal to my palate. It was a shame because you could really tell the chefs were trying to do something great with each plate. It’s like trying to cheer for your favorite sports team that in your heart you know can do well, but lose time after time again. Unfortunately I don’t think I can recommend anyone come here. If I find myself back here I would be willing to try their other dishes for an attempt at redemption.

Great menu selection, my squad pondered the tasty brunch options while getting wired on free refills of their bold hot coffee brew. A couple of us had the burger. Thick, juicy burger, I always love them, but nothing special about this one. The poached egg dishes I saw looked well presented, but similar didn’t knock anyone’s socks off. The cuban was a great savory sandwich, and would be my order if I returned. Missed out on that one. 😪

Amazing Food! I come here often and on Sunday they have great $1 oysters and clams. Quality is very good and also the rest of the food is great. I am always impressed how the staff is able to manage so many people considering they have just 2 people in the kitchen. Perfect place for a date or again, if you are looking for oysters this is the place to go!

What an amazing treat! Everything we ordered was so flavorful, complex and fun - one of the most fun meals I've ever had. And considering the freshness, the quality and the creativity they delivered, the price was very reasonable. Sorry, but we ate all our entrees before we could shoot them.

This is my wife's favortapot. Great drinks. All well balanced and true to the ingredients. The small plates are a joy. Each one highlights the ingredients and is not muddled by saltiness or any other flavor. They managed to put a new spin on shisito peppers (hint: the sardines are amazing). Sitting at the bar is a treat as you hey to see a fair amount of the preparation. Which is also great because the staff is super cool and attentive. Never disappoints.

Beautiful fish dishes made with thought, care, and passion. The yellow tail is incredible and unforgettable! We went on a Monday night for the all day happy hour- the $1 oysters were excellent. They have great cocktails and they offer solid pairing advice. This is probably not a casual stop in, though. It is fairly pricey but a great date spot.

I found this place by accident. But I am so glad I did. The atmosphere is laid back. It's casually upscale and the food is incredible. It's all made fresh and tastes fresh. Several of the menu items, including the oysters and clams, are prepared behind the bar so you can experience/watch the prep if you want to. Most of the menu is raw (like most ceviche) but they put such a unique spin on it. My bartender described the menu as an Asian fusion ceviche, which is perfectly accurate. The plating was beautiful and the space is beautiful. Definitely a hidden gem.

Pilot is a unique dining experience located in Brooklyn Heights, New York City. It is a seasonal floating restaurant housed in a vintage wooden sailboat that offers stunning waterfront views. The bar serves an array of cocktails and wines alongside maritime-inspired dishes such as fresh oysters, caviar, and ceviche. With its intimate and romantic ambiance, Pilot provides an ideal setting for enjoying the sunset during the warmer months from April to October.
Dining on a boat in the Brooklyn Bridge Park was a wonderful treat from the spectacular views to the small but fresh seafood forward menu. There is truly no bad seat in this place, though I will try to snag a reservation at the table at the bow of the boat for my next visit 😋 Bear in mind that you are eating on a docked boat, so expect some rocking. Probably not the best choice for those who are prone to motion sickness.

Located on the Hudson River, Pilot Restaurant offers an unparalleled dining experience in New York City. This floating oyster bar and seafood restaurant, set aboard a historic wooden schooner, combines maritime charm with contemporary culinary delights. Ambiance: The atmosphere at Pilot is both relaxed and refined, with spectacular waterfront views that create a perfect backdrop for a leisurely meal. The gentle sway of the boat adds a unique touch to the dining experience, making it feel like a mini escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Food: The menu is seafood-centric, with an impressive array of oysters, fresh catches, and creatively prepared dishes. The oysters are a highlight, sourced from both coasts, and served with a variety of tangy mignonettes. The lobster roll, brimming with tender, succulent meat, is another standout. For those who prefer land-based options, the menu includes a few well-executed choices.

The restaurant's inviting atmosphere is complemented by a courteous staff that provides excellent recommendations. Dishes such as the Lobster Bisque, octopus appetizer, crab cakes, and linguini clams receive high praise for their exceptional flavors and quality.
Been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally got to and absolute delight! Deliciousness at its finest!! We came for happy hour and started the evening off with fresh decadent succulent huge oysters, followed by octopus app to die for, and a Cesar salad. The bronzino and scallop entrees were simply orgasmic eats. The drinks were on point and service by Paul 5 star!! Haven't had an experience like this for a while!

We visited this restaurant with a large group and had a pleasant overall experience. The wine selection was good, and the oysters were very fresh and flavorful — definitely a highlight of the evening. However, some of the other dishes didn’t quite live up to expectations. We tried the biscuit soup and lobster roll, and while they were decent, they weren’t particularly memorable. The atmosphere was quite nice — comfortable and inviting, making it a good spot for a gathering. Prices were average for the area, so it felt fairly reasonable. Overall, it’s a good place if you’re looking for a nice setting and great oysters, but the rest of the menu could use a bit more refinement.

Of all the great food served here, the oysters stood out; fresh, succulent and absolutely delicious. The lobster bisque came close second. So was the linguine clamps, with a unique tasting sauce. The lady serving us was really friendly and very helpful in recommendations. Others are just as attentive. The ambience was classy, not typical of restaurant deco in this part of Brooklyn. Highly recommended for a romantic evening out, or just for a pleasant intimate dining experience.

We have a tradition to meet with girls and to choose the best restaurant in ares, this one was so pretty on a pictures. We were excited to come here and so disappointed to leave. Staff is nice, food is pretty but absolutely not delicious. And absolutely overpriced for the quality. I’ve got pieces of shells in a lobster roll. Burata is my favorite salad and I never thought it could be so destroyed. Maybe someone will like it more, but I won’t come back for sure. Sorry. I can only be honest.

I cannot express enough how wonderful the staff is, nice Brooklyn style atmosphere, and the food is absolutely AMAZING! Please look in my pictures and you get an idea on why I tell you you should rush to this place, don't walk, rush! The owner, Diego, is absolutely incredible. You could tell this man really truly cares about what he does and the love he puts into his restaurant.

Quite expensive but decent food. Service is wonderful!! Our waiters were friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome right away. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite measure up. The mushroom pasta is tasty but too oily, making it feel heavy. The focaccia and lamb chops are good and well-cooked, but they’re not impressive enough to justify the high prices. The fries and cheese balls? Not worth it and better skipped. Overall, the food is decent but overpriced. The excellent service makes a visit worthwhile, but I don't think I'd go back often.
Yiyi Z — Google review
We visited during Restaurant Week about two weeks ago and, unfortunately, left feeling very underwhelmed. As seafood lovers who live in the neighborhood, we were excited to finally try this spot. We started with the tuna crudo and crab cakes, followed by the rack of lamb and branzino. Disappointingly, each dish fell flat—lacking the flavor, freshness, and execution we had hoped for. The dessert ended up being the highlight of the evening, which says a lot, considering I typically skip dessert and only ordered it because I assumed it would be difficult to get wrong. Service was another letdown. While we were greeted upon arrival and promptly seated, our waiter seemed to forget about us—even though we were the only couple in his section at the time. To make matters worse, the restaurant automatically adds gratuity to the bill, which feels unjustified given the level of service provided. The cocktails were equally underwhelming, so much so that we ended up going elsewhere afterward for drinks to salvage the night. Overall, the experience was lackluster and forgettable, and we will not be returning.

I saw hot nuts were advertised on the menu so I was eager to gobble some up, however when the waiter presented the hot nuts they were not very hot at all but in fact were very sticky and glistening with glaze. The nut glaze got all over my fingers and then I wiped them on my pants leaving a sticky mess. Overall the ambience was great but would skip the nuts next time.

Made a reservation for 8 people for 4:30pm and the only spot for large groups is the bench by the big window, which is exactly the spot I wanted. The rest of the restaurant has smaller tables for 2. Overall, the vibes were warm and homey, but elevated. Their cocktails and all the food we tried were delicious! The service was top notch; our server was very attentive and lovely. One of my friends is vegan and they were accommodating and were able to confirm if something was vegan for her. The Wayland is a great brunch and drinks spot when it's not crowded or when there are only a few folks at the bar. It gets excellent sunlight especially in the Summer. The drinks and the food are both prepared well and the service is generally good depending on the mood of the bartenders or the wait staff. I recommend getting a window seat next to the piano as it's pretty comfortable there. A seat the bar isn't bad either, but you leave yourself open to a rowdy experience. Overall, the Wayland is a terrific spot, but if you really want a superb cocktail go to MACE diagonally across the street, but be warned that the drinks are NOT cheap (but worth it).

Despite the weather, the bar was buzzing at 5:30 PM, and we were warmly greeted at the door. Opting for bar seating, we were quickly attended to by Lauren, our bartender, who was friendly and attentive throughout our brief stay. The highlight of our visit was the Meadowsweet cocktail—cucumber-infused mezcal, green Chartreuse, mint, ginger, lime, egg white, and a dusting of matcha. It was a beautifully balanced drink, with the cucumber and mint providing a refreshing base, the ginger and lime adding a zesty kick, and the matcha offering a subtle earthy finish. We also tried another mezcal-based cocktail served in a coupe with mint garnish, which was equally delightful, though the name escapes us. The ambiance of Hotel Delmano is reminiscent of a vintage speakeasy, with its curved marble bar, antique mirrors, and dim lighting creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that feels timeless, perfect for a relaxed drink or a quiet conversation. Although our visit was brief, the quality of the cocktails and the welcoming service left a lasting impression. We look forward to returning to explore more of their menu and soak in the charming ambiance.

Jazz on a Monday night was incredible, some very talented musicians creating immaculate vibes. Cocktails and food were also brilliant, but the service wasn’t quite there. She cleared our glasses when we still had drinks left in them 😅 would absolutely go back though, a really lovely place

If I could give this place half a star, that would be the most appropriate rating. The bartender was not only extremely rude but also seemed to lack fundamental communication skills. During a work dinner with some colleagues, it was unfortunately disheartening to endure such passive aggressive behavior and, at times, disorganization from the staff. We spent over $700 for a party of six, and this experience has definitely led us to seek dining options elsewhere. It’s a shame, as we had high hopes for our evening.

Great cocktail bar! Definitely gets busy so try to make a reservation on the weekend. Almost all of the cocktails I’ve had here have been so delicious. As far as food goes, the olives are some of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve never had a full meal here but all of the snacks/starters are great. The service is decent and the atmosphere inside is dark and sexy. The outdoor patio feels very euro. Great place for date night!

I visited this location for the first time last night, and it will be my last. There was a rude white bartender with black hair who informed me that she would not serve me. When I asked why she was being so rude, she repeated her refusal while laughing, saying, "I will not serve you, and you don’t have a table here." I was really confused since I was at the bar getting a drink and was sitting on a bar stool. I approached the manager, who seemed to be in a daze, to explain how the bartender had treated me. He said, "Oh, I know she came in a bit out of it and even stuck her middle finger at me earlier." I asked, "Why is she working tonight if she's like this?" He responded, "Please do not tell me how to do my job." I was taken aback by how nasty and rude he was. As a woman of color experiencing this kind of microaggression, I felt deeply upset and still am.

Used to live around the corner, has been my go to place for years. Guaranteed a chill spot for amazing cocktails and vibes. Have celebrated many special occasions here with friends, and also just regular old weekends. Most recently the manager Alex went above and beyond for a private special event, working with me to create the perfect experience. My fiancé and I had our first date here, and our proposal :)

Restaurant
Penny, located in the East Village, is a must-try for seafood lovers. The Argentinian shrimp, priced at $4.50 each, are finger-long and slightly sweet. The welcoming staff and cool atmosphere make for an enjoyable dining experience. The head chef's presence on the floor adds to the friendly ambiance. Despite arriving without a reservation, the hostess went out of her way to accommodate diners.
Cannot recommend this place more. Loved the variety and freshness in the ice box +, probably the best shrimp I’ve ever had. Bread and Oyster Confit definitely were unforgettable. Ice cream sandwich had such a great consistency, it went down too quick. We also got 3 Penny Martinis and it paired so well with everything and was refreshing. Service was spot on and we can’t wait to return!

I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail. It was absolutely delicious with an amazing texture and perfectly made. The seafood was very fresh. While the flavors were not particularly unique, they were clean and satisfying, something I could enjoy often. Service was excellent and the drink selection was impressive. The menu options are a bit limited, but for a seafood bar I think it is more than enough. We will definitely be coming back very soon!!

If you can get a reservation and you enjoy seafood then you are definitely going to enjoy Penny! Every dish is expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The shrimp cocktail was succulent and so delicious. Tuna carpaccio, tender with subtle marinade, the Halibut with spinach just melted in your mouth... I could go on all day! A very knowledgeable sommelier is on hand if you want pairing reccomendations, and every member of the team were approachable professionals. Amazing!
Debbiebag — Google review
The ice box is wonderful. I will go back for this and a glass of sherry. The ice box featured Gaia Oysters from New Brunswick, the most perfectly prepared shrimp cocktail, fresh clams, a sea bass ceviche, and perfectly marinated mussels. The Oyster Confit was outstanding. The concept of slow-cooking the oysters in rich chicken fat and serving them with crème fraîche and crackers is a stroke of genius. I would gladly go back for this item alone. The Stuffed Squid was very nice. The squid was tender, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Be sure to save some of the bread to fully soak up every drop of that excellent sauce. Both the Seaweed Salad and the Beet Boquerones were excessively acidic, which overpowered the flavor of the otherwise perfectly prepared ingredients. I enjoyed a Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray here as well. The service was impeccable.
Carlos B — Google review
We had a pretty good time, but it’s pricey for what it is. We got there 20 minutes early and the host kicked us out for being too early. There was space to wait inside, which we later discovered was offered to other patrons. Baffling. But hey it’s all good, maybe a misunderstanding. We got the Icebox+, Brioche, Stuffed Squid, Clams and Potatoes, and Black Bass. I liked the squid and clams a lot! The Icebox+ was fine, expensive for what it is. The Black Bass didn’t seem cooked right unfortunately. We got the Brioche because all the five star reviews raved about it. In retrospect, warm bread being the highlight of a seafood restaurant should have been a red flag. No complaints, it was good. Our server was very nice. Overall good place, but at this price point there are better options in the city.

I was told nobody ever regrets getting the whole lobster. They were correct, it was incredibly satisfying. Penny is a great spot for some of good wine and tasty seafood bites. Given the long narrow space, everyone has a great view of the goings-on in the kitchen. I would suggest 2-3 very hungry guests to tackle the entire menu. As with Claud downstairs, Penny has an impressive wine selection. Shout out to Justin for the great recommendation and hospitality.

This is deservedly one of the hottest restaurants in nyc. A fish and seafood menu that is creative and comforting. One of the tastiest pieces of halibut I've ever eaten. Pristine oysters. A loaf of brioche with butter than you cannot pass up. And an orgasmic chocolate mousse with hazelnuts for dessert. I snagged a solo seat walking in at 515 pm. Sitting at the long counter and watching the bustle as the food is prepared and served is part of the charm. Our server couldn't have been better. She was spot on with her recommendations. Oh and if you like a Martini try the Penny Martini. Delicious.

The Oyster Bar is a popular seafood spot known for its simple yet high-quality menu. The focus is on classic options, including a full raw bar, white wine-steamed mussels, and New England clam chowder. The lobster roll is a must-try, featuring a toasted open-faced bun and perfect shoestring french fries. The Grand Central location offers casual dining with great seafood options.
You just can’t beat $1 oysters for happy hour!! The presentation is great (3 sauce options & lemon on ice) and the oysters were wonderful. Decent size, fresh and delicious! The Bloody Mary was yummy too. A very casual, comfortable atmosphere. The service was excellent!! Will be back.

I went there by myself on a calm Sunday just for the happy hour $1 oysters. I enjoyed my oysters and beer and the clam chowder was delicious. I should reserve my review after a second visit, but I'm giving it 3 stars because, it was just that. One server, one bartender, ok oysters. The price point is what's really saving the review. Not to mention, that my stomach was upset after my meal. So 3 stars until further notice.

It is also called the Grey Lady. My first raw oysters experience, and during happy hour, they are only $1 each! I was scared I would gag! The raw oysters are not gross but not that special to me. I also drank 2 $6 drafts of Big Wave Golden Ale from Hawaii. For someone who does not care for the taste alcohol, that was a smooth, fruity ale with no bitterness. I ordered the fish tacos, but would not order them again as they were meh.

Just spent the day moving my 22 yr old niece into her apt across the street, after a full day of walking/tour guiding I was beyond thrilled to pop in here . Tim the bartender I was privileged to hang with had an awesome vibe and was just wonderful! $1 HH oysters too! I found my new spot to stop in when I visit. 20/10 recommend .

A great place. The atmosphere is just what you would expect in lower East Side. Standing in line at Double Chicken please doesn’t make sense. The cocktails at The Oyster Bar are excellent, especially the Espresso Martini. A knock out. Don’t forget the oysters: they are delicious.

Bad customer service. Just stopped by and there was a sign saying private event. However, it was empty in the bar area and one of the young ladies pointed to the back as if the event was in the back area. When we asked if we could sit at the bar, this white tall man cut off the young lady and told us the patio, but it’s raining. There are ways to speak to people especially when you want clientele in the future. I always wanted to try this spot but I will never come here again and I will pass the word around to my friends.

Marea is an upscale Italian restaurant located in the chic Central Park South area. Since its establishment in 2009, it has been a popular spot for power lunches and has attracted celebrities like Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Beyonce, and Jay-Z. The restaurant offers a mix of meats, seafood, and light pastas that cater to a diverse clientele consisting of leaders in entertainment, fashion, art, and business.
Came here the other day for a birthday lunch and it was delicious! We shared the salad with anchovies which was crisp and fresh and the dressing also on point. For the mains, we tried the shrimp gnocchetti, the halibut, and the scallops - all cooked to perfection. I didn't try any of their cocktails but did have the elderflower mocktail which was tangy and refreshing. Dessert was amazing - the tiramisu with a twist, the millefoglie with pistachio and raspberry atop the deconstructed pâte feuilletée was decadent and light. I had no idea that there was also a birthday dessert with the bomboloni and a mini pistachio cake from the kitchen! Service was incredible - we felt attended to by the wait-staff and I must say the bread basket that continued to circle the dining room was the cherry on top. The ambience was quiet but not stuffy - the perfect setting for a family meal. I would certainly come back here again to try other items on the menu!

This place offers a beautiful ambience with an elegant vibe. The service was top-notch, and every dish was exceptional - you truly can't go wrong with the menu. The octopus fusilli and lobster burrata stood out the most for me - both were rich in flavor and perfectly crafted. I'm already looking forward to returning for another unforgettable meal.

Marea exceeded expectations—from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly taken care of. Attentive, warm, and professional throughout. The food was just as impressive. The seafood dishes were fresh and flavorful, but even non-seafood options like the steak and pastas were just as memorable. Dessert was a showstopper. A refined dining experience with top-tier hospitality. Highly recommend.

Been to this restaurant multiple times, and I found the quality of their food is consistently excellent and the service is also top-notch as it usually is. I highly recommend their octopus fusilli, one of their signature dishes, and their halibut, which, in my opinion, is one of the best dishes on the menu.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Marea, and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The team made us feel incredibly special — attentive, warm, and professional throughout the entire evening. Every dish we had was exceptional. The Gambero Rosso and the Capesanta were simply outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. When it came to dessert, we were torn between two options, and to our surprise and delight, they brought us both in honor of our anniversary. Such a thoughtful gesture that truly made our night unforgettable. A special thank you to Greg, one of the best waiters we’ve ever had. His deep knowledge of the menu and ingredients made the experience even more enjoyable. You can really tell he loves what he does, and it adds so much to the atmosphere of the place. Thank you, Marea, for an unforgettable evening. We’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been to Marea a few times now, and it never disappoints. I’ve tried the Tagliatelle, Branzino, and the Pappardelle Granchio Reale—everything is incredibly fresh and packed with flavors you don’t find at just any Italian restaurant. The presentation is always beautiful, and the restaurant itself is stunning and always packed, which says a lot. I absolutely love this place and would highly recommend it. Plus, it’s right next to Central Park, so you can take a nice stroll afterward. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic date night.

The Dead Rabbit in New York City is a two-story establishment that combines a lunch taproom with a parlor serving small plates and vintage cocktails. It's an iconic Irish bar with a New York twist, located in a five-story, 19th-century townhouse. The ground level Taproom focuses on properly poured pints, Irish coffee, and various whiskeys, while the upstairs Parlor offers a wider range of flavors and live blues performances.
My husband and I had an incredible time at The Dead Rabbit! It was a highlight of our bar crawl, and we were completely blown away by the unique experience. The place has a fantastic energy, and we loved that each floor offered a different vibe. The cocktails were the star of the show. I had a special drink where the bartender spritzed a perfume on my hand to enhance the aroma as I sipped—a truly unforgettable sensory experience! The food was delicious, too; we especially enjoyed the deviled eggs. With amazing drinks, tasty bites, and a super cool atmosphere, The Dead Rabbit is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

Drank at the tap room. I remember a time when the tap room only had beer. I am so pleased to know they have cocktails and food available now. This place has always been impeccable. I’ve been here a handful of times and never left disappointed. I can’t remember the names of the drinks but they had a cocktail that had Guinness and it really was a standout, as well as the Irish coffee Alexander, and I don’t even like coffee 🤣. Don’t sleep on the Scotch eggs either. Best ones I’ve had! This one really upsets me that we don’t have something similar in Vegas. I mean we have bars but this one just has something about it 😁

The Irish coffee is a must-try, you won’t be disappointed. The Old Fashioned was good, though a bit on the sweeter side for my taste. The fried chicken was just okay, nothing particularly special. The tiramisu was one of the best I’ve had. We sat in the Parlour, which had great vibes and good service, making for a pleasant overall experience. We did not have a reservation for parlor, but still managed to get a table on a Sunday.
Maneesh J — Google review
Great Irish vibe, definitely reminiscent of being in Ireland. The service was great, everyone was very friendly. The Irish coffee was sublime and the Guinness pour and temperature was spot on, honestly can’t think of a better Guinness I’ve had outside of Ireland. I grabbed the short rib sliders to snack on and they were very flavorful and fork tender. They also have a phenomenal Irish whisky selection.

Great place with an excellent atmosphere. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with the billing as we were double charged. Being charged an extra $500 is a significant amount for us, and it caused quite a hassle as we had to deal with the bank to cancel the duplicate charge. Despite the great ambiance, this billing issue greatly impacted our overall experience.

My husband and I stopped by for a quick beer after an amazing dinner next door. The space is so cool! I love the sawdust on the floor and the whole vibe was fun! We did not have food or visit the restroom so my review is based on service and the beer! I would recommend! 🍻

Would definitely come back for more.

Steak house
American restaurant
Restaurant
Delmonico's, a legendary establishment that first opened its doors in 1837, is often celebrated as the pioneer of fine dining in the United States. Originally starting as a modest pastry and coffee shop, it has evolved into an iconic steakhouse located in New York City's Financial District. Here, guests can indulge in prime cuts of beef alongside signature dishes that have become part of culinary history. Among these are the famous Eggs Benedict, created by Mrs.
7.6/10 The yellowtail crudo and crab cake actually had a flavor that reminded me a lot of Chinese food. The crab cake, in particular, was pretty unique: coated with shredded potato and deep-fried for a crispy texture. The sauce seemed to have pistachio in it, adding this nice nutty aroma. The steak was fairly standard but generous in portion. For dessert, we tried their signature baked Alaska, which had a sharp tang in the sour parts and was overly sweet in the sweet parts, plus the banana in it wasn’t to my taste. We also had the chocolate cake with ice cream, which had a rich dark chocolate coating and layered beautifully. But it became cloyingly sweet toward the end. The service was friendly, and the place is huge. You can totally feel the charm of a restaurant that’s been around for 200 years.
Ruit L — Google review
At first, the atmosphere was nice and well decorated. Food was really impressive. For appetizers, we ordered Yellowtail tartare, Kumamoto oysters, Caesar salad, Caramelized bacon and Eggs benedict. I couldn’t find any words to describe how great the food was. My brother said this was the best eggs benedict he’s ever had. For me I was impressed by Caesar salad, it was really good. For entrees, my family had Campanelle and Marinated black cod. I ordered Delmonico eye with grilled asparagus and hash browns on the side. This place is a steak house, so I don’t have to describe how good their steak was it was amazing I really enjoyed having my dinner here. Desserts we ordered Chocolate symphony and Delmonico’s original baked Alaska. The presentation was as amazing as its taste. For the service, the server was really nice and helpful with our food and drink decision. After we finished our food, we were expecting host to be more greeted or just say thank you, but we were a little bit surprised that no one said thank you, have a good night like other restaurants. But overall was great.
Chotiros S — Google review
Yesterday I had dinner at Delmonico and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant has an elegant, timeless atmosphere and a fascinating history as one of New York’s oldest and most iconic steakhouses, dating back to the 1800s. We started with Kumamoto oysters topped with Osetra caviar, a luxurious and delicate beginning. The Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful, followed by the famous signature Delmonico ribeye, cooked to perfection and served with rich, savory mushrooms. For dessert, we enjoyed their classic cheesecake, which was smooth and delicious. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, the staff surprised us with an extra slice of cake, a thoughtful gesture that made the evening even more special. The service was warm and attentive throughout. If I had to mention one small detail, the bread and butter served before the meal were a bit dry and hard, but everything that followed more than made up for it. Overall, it was a beautiful dining experience filled with history, flavor, and genuine hospitality.
Aleksandra D — Google review
Amazing experience, nice and service minded staff. Wine was amazong and the wine list is outstanding. But the main star is the meat, hard to describe with words. Melting in your mouth with an amazing sear. It's fairly loud but manageable. Would be nice to have more options for sauces, but it almost feels wrong to use a sauce when the steak by itself is so good
William T — Google review
My husband and I had a nice birthday dinner here. Ambiance takes center stage at this iconic NYC steakhouse. Ceasar salad was good, nothing fancy. Bread basket is great. We got the Delmonico's steak and the NY strip steak and preferred the latter a tiny bit more. Do not sleep on the mashed potatoes side, they're some of the best we've had. Chocoalte dessert was good, and they surprised us with a small vanilla gelato birthday gift. Food was great, ambiance is stunning, service is top notch. Would come back for a special occasion anytime.

Reporting that the sourdough bread here is some of the best I've ever had. The baker must be praised. Wish he had his own bakery so I can purchase more of the bread. We tried the classic Delmonico ribeye. It was pretty decent. Big fan of the pommes puree and bread. dining setting was really nice 10/10- quiet, refined, but also relaxed. Great for special occasions. The baked Alaska gets lit up on fire.

Great restaurant tucked away in a corner off Wall Street. Very old world, prohibition era charm and class. The staff was attentive and friendly, the food was delicious. I was recommended this place due to a missed flight and it did not disappoint. My steak, asparagus and crab cakes were cooked to perfection. The steak wasn’t over seasoned and the sauce was on the side to enhance the flavor not smother or hide it. I will definitely return and have to bring back my steak snob husband.

Smorgasburg Williamsburg is a popular outdoor food market that takes place in New York City on Saturdays during the spring and summer. With over 75 vendors offering a wide variety of delicious street food, it's a must-visit for foodies. From truffle parmesan hand-cut chips to arepas and empanadas, there are plenty of gluten-free options available.
This open-air food market in one of Brooklyn’s most vibrant waterfront areas is an absolute must-visit — especially because it’s seasonal and usually happens in October? ( maybe) . From here, you get stunning views of the Manhattan skyline while surrounded by park greenery and picnic tables, making it a perfect mix of nature and city energy. The space turns into a lively weekend hotspot with dozens of food vendors offering global cuisines — it feels more like a festive fair than a typical food court. When I visited, there was a Diwali Mela (festival) taking place, complete with a live DJ, music, and rows of Indian food stalls. Despite the rainy, windy weather, the crowd’s spirit was infectious — people lined up everywhere. I started with Dutch fries, topped with mayonnaise, ketchup, and onions — freshly fried, hot, and delicious, though the portion was big enough to share. Next, I had a tangy Indian dahi bhalla chaat, likely a Diwali special, which was bursting with flavor. I also tried Filipino skewers (chicken, pork, and beef) — decent, though by then I was too full to continue. I ended my meal with a maple-parfum ginger drink, which was wonderfully light and refreshing. Overall, this seasonal Brooklyn food fair is about more than just eating — it’s a full-on celebration. The prices are a bit higher than average, but the atmosphere, energy, and diversity of food make it totally worth it. If you’re in New York during October, don’t miss this experience — come with friends, wander around, and soak in the festive vibes with the Manhattan skyline in view.

A fun weekend even to attend at Billyburg. Lots of variety and good quality of food from the stands. Alas price is too high and portion sizes too low. Almost everything is $15+, with some premium items costing 20+. Guess it reflects the neighborhood. A good spot if you are in the area, but there are many queens and brooklyn neighborhoods offering better cheaper food if you are will to explore a bit.

We came mainly based on recommendations about the fries. They were definitely very tasty and worth trying. We also had the dim sum dumplings, one of each kind, and they were delicious. If you're a foodie or just love trying new things, Smorgasburg in Williamsburg is an absolute must! 🍴✨ It’s like walking into a dreamland of flavors from juicy birria tacos to Korean fried chicken, lobster rolls, creative vegan bites, and desserts that look like they belong on Instagram and in your belly. I had an amazing time exploring the different stands, and everything I tasted was full of flavor and made with love. The vibe is super chill right by the water with stunning views of Manhattan, live music playing, and everyone just enjoying good food and good energy. It's also super well-organized despite the crowds, and I appreciated the open seating areas and how friendly all the vendors were. Perfect spot to come with friends, a date, or even solo if you want to wander and snack at your own pace. Come hungry, wear comfy shoes, and bring your appetite you'll leave full and happy! 😋

I really enjoyed having brunch at this restaurant on Saturday morning ☺️ I had planed on ordering a bulgogi hot pot meal set or chicken ramen meal set before arriving, but unfortunately, those were not on the menu. I chose the bulgogi meal set and black sesame tofu instead. I’d say it was a balanced meal and I really liked the sides. The black sesame tofu was also good. Great ambiance too.

Came here for lunch and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere is cozy with a modern touch, perfect for a casual meal with friends. I didn’t order any drinks, just focused on the food — the stew and BBQ were flavorful, hearty, and felt like real home-style cooking. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. Prices are reasonable for New York, and the lunch portions were very satisfying. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Korean comfort food in the city!

The food was amazing!! Adding this place to my top 5 faves in Ktown! I definitely think you need to get out of the main 32nd St block and venture to 31st and 33rd-35th St because the food scene is so much better!! The restaurant does get packed so make sure you make a resy! You won’t regret trying this place out. We got spicy rice cakes which came with squash and peppers, slow cooked pork belly (so soft, not rubbery at all), and their sweet potato noodles with pork. You’ll know the exact names when you look at the menu, but all of these were fire 😍

Absolutely amazing Korean spot! The flavors were out of this world — every dish was packed with depth and spice, just like it should be. Hands down the BEST tofu I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and addictive. The staff was super friendly and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Everything we ordered was top-notch. If you love Korean food (or even if you’re new to it), this place is a must. 10/10!

had a reservation on sunday and got the salmon bibimbap lunch set, dumplings, and their famous black sesame tofu appetizer! the lunch set was filled with all these small yummy side dishes! i love the variety in meals like these :) the dumplings were also really good! the wrapper was so smooth and thin~ a memorable texture! as for the black sesame tofu, i was a little wary of savory black sesame, bc i usually have it sweet, but it surprised me! it reminded me of japanese sesame dressing on salads but covered over soft tofu instead! the fried onions and shallots were a nice textural touch and a favorite flavor of ours!
Natalie Y — Google review
it was good, but the flavors leaned more toward fusion rather than traditional Korean taste.
The budae jjigae contained a lot of cheese. Cheese flavor was strong and the beef bulgogi had a sweet teriyaki flavor. 😄
The portions were larger than expected, so we left feeling full and satisfied. The black sesame ice cream with matcha crumble was crispy, well-balanced, and delicious! While it may not have the spicy Korean flavors, considering it's in New York, the food and service were both satisfying.

We walked in during lunch on Monday. We ordered the Galbi set menu and yuzu chicken noodle soup set menu. Both of them came with tasty banchan and kimchi. Their dishes were above average and the service was excellent

Delicious food! Fresh ingredients. Great service with really lovely people. We got a bibimbap & a glass noodle combo. The banchan was SO yummy. We got a mint cocktail and it went really well with the food. Would highly recommend!!

Seafood restaurant
Located on Pier 17 in Seaport, The Fulton by Jean-Georges offers a romantic waterfront dining experience with stunning views of the East River and Brooklyn Bridge. This seafood-focused restaurant, founded by renowned French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, boasts a modern menu featuring wild-caught seafood and seasonal cocktails. The two-story establishment features a casual and welcoming atmosphere despite its extravagant exterior, complete with a rooftop concert venue.
The view was truly stunning, especially at night when the Brooklyn Bridge lights up. The seafood was so fresh and sweet — the raw clams were especially delicious. We ordered them twice! I had seen other reviews praising the octopus and fries, but maybe the chef has changed. The cooked dishes were all quite mediocre. The fries and scallops were especially disappointing. It's still a reasonably priced restaurant overall.
Alexandra W — Google review
The location and night view of this restaurant are truly stunning, especially with the twinkling lights creating a relaxing atmosphere—perfect for photos. The scenery alone makes it worth the visit. However, the food was a bit disappointing, with a lower cost-performance ratio; you might get better or similar quality elsewhere for the same price. We booked for a Friday dinner and noticed quite a few empty seats upstairs, though service was smooth. One concern was that a companion felt unwell after the meal, possibly due to unfresh clams—suggesting the restaurant pay attention to ingredient quality. Overall, it’s a great spot for the view, but temper expectations for the food. Oh, by the way, out of all the dishes, the dessert was the best.

No reservation? No problem — The Fulton by Jean-Georges has you covered! The hostess and staff were all smiles, which set the tone right away. We started with two appetizers: the red snapper ceviche, which was fresh but unexpectedly sweet — almost dessert-level sweet. Then came the Calamari Salad, and wow — I love, love, love it! The pickled ginger shavings in the dressing give it this unforgettable, delicate kick (assuming you’re a ginger fan, of course). Now, the lobster roll… sigh. Too much mayo, not enough balance. But the crispy chips it came with? Absolute redemption. Then there’s the swordfish — the true hero of our afternoon. Perfectly charred, juicy, and full of flavor. We ended with the pistachio dessert out of pure curiosity. It was fine — not terrible, not great — just one of those “well, now we know” moments.

Had a great dinner for our first night at The Fulton! We ordered the branzino, fries, and mashed potatoes — everything was really tasty and well-prepared. Our server was amazing — super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive the whole time, which really made the experience even better. The atmosphere inside is on the darker side, but it totally works — gives off a cozy, upscale vibe. Plus, the view right on the water with the bridge in the background is hard to beat. Overall, a really nice spot for a night out — would definitely come back!

The whole experience dining at The Fulton was wonderful. From the aesthetic of the restaurant which was stunning along with the views. The entire staff made celebrating my mom’s birthday so memorable! They so kindly provided us with extra appetizers and a dessert! Which was all so incredible! The food was delicious!! We will definitely be back! Thank you to the wonderful team!

The Octopus was tender and the mozzarella was fresh. The calamari salad was fantastic much better than I thought I would like it. The black bass was cooked to perfection has was the hamburger. But let's talk about why you would come here. The food is on point but you're really here for the view. Special day bring that special someone.

I visited The Fulton by Jean-Georges before a scheduled concert since it’s right next to the pier. I sat inside with an amazing waterfront view, which made the experience even more special. The service was excellent, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. I truly enjoyed the dining experience and indulged in all the delicious flavors. Highly recommend!

Visitors have commended the reasonable prices, inviting atmosphere, and attentive service from staff members like Alex from Louisiana who exudes genuine passion for the cuisine.
Visiting from Canada and it’s been a long time since I saw Buck a shuck oysters on a menu - thank youuu Sagaponack! Loved the happy hour menu, a true gem. Oysters were good (much better than the Mermaid bar) and if I had more time I would be coming back for the New York dining dinner menu.

This place was a pretty good spot for some happy hour activities especially since they have a mid day happy hour! Great for summer. For drinks I tried the lychee spritz which wad actually really refreshing and light. I also tried the sangria which I thought was okay, may have been a little watery. The $1 oysters were a great deal and came with four different sauces. The parmesan fries were good and I loved the orange sauce idk what it was. The shishito peppers were tasty as well.

My new favorite restaurant in NYC! We came for a delicious lunch. This is among the best happy hours in town, with dollar oysters, drinks for $5, and cocktails for $9. We had the chili lobster roll, which is a must try. Just delightful. And service was also amazing!

Came in with my dad on a Saturday night and we were blown away by this meal. The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The real star of the show for us was the Chili Oysters- a truly unique and flavorful take. We got two more before leaving. We also really enjoyed the fluke tartare and mussels- the sauces on both of these dishes had us drinking them like soup! We both had the Salmon and were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. Will definitely be back:)

I’ve been coming to Sagaponack for years and still love it every time. The food is always fresh, my favorite dishes are still here, and the familiar faces give such friendly, spot-on service. In New York, this kind of consistency is rare, and they’ve kept it for so long. Must-tries include oysters, fluke tartare, and lobster roll many more. The atmosphere is lively and it is always full of happy diners. Their happy hour is not to be missed, too. I hope it stays this way for many more years.

Found this restaurant while wandering the city. Felt compelled to write a review. How I would describe it is quality service and good care. The team and I would call them a team clearly take pride in what they do. The oysters were beyond fresh and each item we ordered was of a quality where we expected a more expensive price tag. You should put this on your list.

Bluebird London is a fine dining restaurant located in Columbus Circle, which is known for its upscale shopping and nightlife. The restaurant offers a contemporary British afternoon tea service with open-face trout sandwiches, assorted pastries (with clotted cream and strawberry preserves/marmalade), quiche, cranberry scones, and classic cucumber finger sandwiches. The restaurant has a bar and big windows that offer a great view of Columbus Circle.
Oh my God! Denisia The assistant manager made our night extremely spectacular. I wanted to hug her so bad. She was truly amazing. Her personality, her attitude, extremely professional and very accommodating. We told her we were in a hurry and she made sure the food was on time and the drinks were made none other than the very best JJ. The food was over the top amazing. The chef could go a little less on the salt though. I normally don’t give a good review for most restaurants are even a good compliments but this place would be nothing without assistant manager Denisia and my drinks mixer JJ. I am normally a complainer to the max but they all out did themselves including the chef. The food and the service was exquisite.

The food is just average, not up to the standard the brand, decor and price point might lead one to expect. We tried dishes such as the steak which was pretty good, but the salmon, the pasta and the Indian curry were average at best. I was expecting more. The French fries were really good. The service is fast and attentive, the waiters can suggest dishes and recommend wine. The place is pretty good if you’re going out on a date or a special occasion. Overall, it’s okay, but don’t expect too much.

Beautiful spot for a breakfast tea service. Unfortunately, the experience is slightly marred by how loud it gets in there! I came here alone on a Sunday AM right at open to have tea + treats and read my comic book. The hostess and servers were all courteous but seemed very stressed and busy even though the initial morning service wasn't too crowded. 45 mins later everything changed and the whole place was PACKED. The acoustics were not great and it was like being in an echo chamber of noise. Not a peaceful breakfast time at all. The pastries and tea were lovely though they were out of their house signature tea (odd since I was at the first seating). The portions were huge! I finished about a third of the full set and took the rest to go. Overall, the place is beautifully appointed. Just a little too noisy and bustling for first thing in the morning.

I am so in love with this place! The service was beyond amazing! I enjoy going to a restaurant where I don’t have to look around for the waiter. I swear he must have been psychic because he just appeared whenever we needed him. The pastries were delectable, the food was flavorful and we especially enjoyed the beautiful voice and music of the live jazz. I highly recommend this place and plan to go back soon!

Happy hour 3pm - 5pm weekday special - is amazing!! Good economical prices with beautiful decor and good service. Ordered some snacks with our drinks and was impressed. Delish!! Really enjoyed the Big Shrimp Cocktail and an order of Fries. Also came here for afternoon tea with a girlfriend and loved the Tea selections and quite a few pastries to choose from. Overall loved this place and will definitely return to this gem.

I was disappointed by this place. The view is pretty good. The service wasn't bad although they didn't come to our table often enough and we had to hold our hands up to get their attention. The food wasn't very good. The omelette was not seasoned well with barely any cheese inside. The fish and chips was ok but it was just one big piece so not every bite had that nice fried batter texture. The Benedict was decent. The tarte tatin needed more baking as the pastry part was very tough and we had trouble cutting through it. I wanted to like this place but unfortunately it didn't impress. One thing they got going was that they had good live saxophone music. But I didn't go here for music, did I.

Came here for breakfast with a view. Reception staffs very attentive. Nice bar, nice contrail. Had the French toast option, although very sweet, I enjoy it. Ask for extra bacon lol. This isn’t a hot option, they have plenty on the menu, including their take on the English breakfast. The restaurant is situated on the 3rd floor of the shopping mall. Ask to be seated by the window, I’m sure the view only gets better with the seasons.

I think this was the most confusing and disappointing meal I ever had. From sus wait staff to literally no tea choices during afternoon tea - it was terrible. We arrived on Sunday at high noon (2pm) for afternoon tea which is when afternoon tea is usually held. Our party of 4 had a reservation for but still had to wait for over 15 minutes for our table. As we look at the menu to choose our tea we get notified by staff that they only have earl grey and the white tea… like you do afternoon tea yet how can you run out of tea??? When we heard this we should have left bc it only gets worse for the food. We paid $55 pp for the afternoon tea set only to be really disappointed with the quality of the food. The best thing was the cucumber sandwich and scone but those 2 things are not worth $55. Just go somewhere high end for afternoon tea. I’m never coming back here omg

Indulge in the impressive three-tier plateau at The Oyster Bar or enjoy dollar oysters during happy hour while being serenaded by resident pianist Michael Garin.
Was randomly invited in to Paul’s as I was walking by and I got pleasantly surprised. Loved the maximalist aesthetic and the energy. They played great music mostly hits from the 80’s and everyone was dancing! It was such a cool space with great people. It was easy to make friends or mingle with people around and it was mostly fellow young adults. The drinks were good too! I recommend if you’re in the area looking for a fun time.

What an incredible experience at The Roxy Hotel in Tribeca! My girlfriend surprised me with a speakeasy-style jazz show at their cocktail bar, and it was unforgettable. The atmosphere was classy but relaxed - perfect for a night out. The food and drinks were top notch (highly recommend the steak!), and the customer service was exceptional. I mentioned it was my birthday, and the staff went above and beyond by moving us up to the front so we could enjoy the band up close. The jazz group performing that night was absolutely amazing - I wish I remembered their name! From the ambiance to the service, everything about the night was perfect. The Roxy is definitely one of those NYC gems I’ll be coming back to again and again.

Came here with friends on Saturday night to hear live music and grab a dessert before heading down to the Django where we had reservations. As far as food and service I highly recommend the lobby over the Django. No cover in the lobby. The red velvet cake was light and moist and the cream cheese frosting was whipped and fluffy. Delish.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Roxy Hotel. Initially a lil worried about the noise from the live music, but night 2 & 3 seemed to be better. The room and general vibe were great. Handy gym on-site. Location was very handy and the staff so helpful. There is a photo booth in the lobby, great fun for a keepsake too.

We had such a magical time at The Roxy. We really enjoyed all of the amenities, saw a jazz band at Django, watched a film in the theatre, even got past the velvet rope at Paul’s! The location was top notch and we’re able to walk to so many cool locations. Nancy’s bar was super cool—right down the street. We will be back!

It’s a really cool hotel In a really cool neighborhood and it’s really close to the subway, which is so convenient! I loved my room. It’s very large for a New York hotel room! The bed is great. The shower was great and everyone is very friendly. But I have one pretty big complaint- the noise from the jazz club is crazy loud even with their noise machine turned full blast. I am trying to sleep right now and 12:15am and there’s no way. Because of that alone, I would not recommend staying here unless you love to party and want to stay up until two or 3 AM.

decided to do a staycation in the city for my birthday and try to experience a nice jazzy hotel since i had never done so before. prior to us arriving my boyfriend made a request for my special occasion with the supervisor and the business they collaborate with, an extra $110 and was told everything would be taken care of and would be ready to go for our stay. it never was delivered, and no notes on our reservation were taken about this accommodation. it is really ridiculous that the supervisor would tell us that everything was good to go and when we get there we are getting told that this was never a thing. on top of that the special request through this company that the hotel collaborates with never delivered the order.. as for the rooms in this hotel, our first room was on the second floor and i must say the music from the lobby especially with the noise cancellation sound was so loud, i do not know how anybody can sleep on the floors 2-5 realistically. we were then upgraded to a room on the 7th floor since we didnt get our special paid request which was more quiet but still wasnt what it shouldve been. during our last morning, i started to hear what sounded like a rodents foot steps in the vents and that just sold it to me that i would not stay there again. the valet parking is something guest should be left with simple trust and care. we gave the nighttime valet person the keys when we arrived and he told us that they would drop it off at their garage so in case we needed anything from the car it would be a simple walk. when we come out the next morning asking the valet from the morning shift he said it would be a short walk which was perfectly fine for us and then when we came out of the hotel, our car was still in the same spot we left it in yesterday when we arrived. luckly the valet sign was right next to our car because they were also doing construction on the street and our car wouldve been easily towed. this kind of customer service and "care" for the guest is incompetent and is shameful for a "four-star" hotel.

I had the worst experience today with the Roxy Hotel and their staff. I booked a room online and called immediately after to confirm my reservation since I never received a confirmation email. I did in fact receive a confirmation number after booking and confirmed on the phone with the Roxy Hotel directly. The staff member informed me that they received my reservation and the email has been having issues and I would receive an email in 15 minutes. I drove all the way from Virginia to spend my anniversary with my partner and upon arrival to the hotel I had an interaction with a very rude and sarcastic staff member. She should not work with customers if she’s going to speak with guest with an attitude. I was being kind and it was very uncalled for. After speaking with what I believe is the manager, she was somewhat helpful I guess you could say..she confirmed that there was no reservation under my name or confirmation number even though I booked directly through the hotel website. She apologized and basically kicked us to the curb since they had no rooms available. I’m just so disappointed that we drove hours to this beautiful hotel to have such a bad experience. On top of that they gave us no recommendations or alternatives to figure out our stay for the night. We were left outside looking for other options for over an hour since we aren’t from here and didn’t know where to look next. Save your money and skip this hotel.

Asian fusion restaurant
Korean restaurant
Hortus is a Michelin starred asian fusion restaurant in New York City. The menu features dishes inspired by Korean, Chinese and Thai cuisine, with a fresh take on traditional favorites. There are also options for raw food lovers who want to try something different. Whether you're looking for quick and healthy lunch or dinner, Hortus is the perfect choice.
Went for an early dinner on a Thursday and ordered the 3 dish set. The oyster and salmon was very fresh. The sauce on the salmon dish was watery but it tasted better than it looked. The wagyu for the 2nd dish was average. The Wagyu Sotbap was good and worth the extra $10. Although it was heavy because the oil from cooking the wagyu with a blow torch was absorbed by the rice. The duck was also very flavorful and nicely cooked. Overall, we enjoyed the all the dishes. The cocktails (5th Ave) was eh.
John L — Google review
We came in on a Saturday evening and tried the Chef’s Tasting Menu. Service was top notch. Ambience was great. Food-wise, we had some mixed feelings. First off, the name Hortus kept making me expect Mediterranean food even though I knew I was coming in for Asian fusion, so that sort of messed with my initial expectations. Another immediate issue was that the menu is digital — you scan a QR code at your table using your phone. This would not really be an issue except our cell connections were not great inside the restaurant and the restaurant’s wifi password isn’t posted at the table, so we struggled to load the menu. The menu on the website could use some appeal as well. It just wasn’t as intuitive as other digital menus and appeared a bit deli-like in its presentation. All of that aside, we had some very spectacular dishes and some not so much: Wagyu Gui: this was by far the most memorable dish. The taste and presentation were equally superb. Oyster and shrimp cocktail: the oysters were pretty darn amazing and the chef had perfectly seasoned it for us. I could have done without the shrimp, which was a basic shrimp cocktail (albeit cooked on point), but I did feel the baseness of the shrimp took away from the well appointed oysters. But then again, it said oyster and shrimp cocktail, so we knew what we were getting. Clam chowder pasta: this was probably the most ingenious dish. The texture of the pasta was unique and worked well with the flavors. You’re transported to Fisherman’s Wharf immediately, but then it also made me want to sip some actual chowder for warmth and comfort. Overall, just a very creative dish. Black garlic cacio e pepe: we thoroughly enjoyed this as well. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the abalone added such great texture and flavor. The flavor reminded me a lot of jajangmyeon, but elevated. Short rib: the meat was superb and tender, but we weren’t a huge fan of the barley salad that came with it. Duck breast: this was a too fatty and chewy for my taste. The potato puree was amazing and we licked that up. The salad went well with this as well. Overall, the pastas really stole the show for us and the wagyu gui is a must. This is an interesting restaurant and we are planning to come back to try the other dishes.

Hortus NYC is a hidden gem in NoMad, offering a modern take on Korean-inspired dishes that are both flavorful and inventive. One of the standout features is their tasting menu, which offers excellent value for the quality of food. The salmon crudo and waygu gui are must-try starters, both bursting with freshness. For mains, the duck breast is tender, and perfectly cooked, the truffle donabe and waygu sotbap are rich and delicious. The ambiance is intimate, making it an ideal spot for date nights or small gatherings. Service is attentive but never intrusive, and the staff is knowledgeable about both the menu. DRINKS: because they are located across from a church, they do NOT serve hard liquor. They have wine, beer, and cocktails are either sake or soju-based. Still a great selection!

The presentation of the dishes is nice, but the taste is average. The ingredients, especially the seafood, were not very fresh and had a slightly fishy smell. The flavors were on the salty side. The restaurant’s ventilation isn’t great, so you can smell the cooking fumes. The servers provided good service, but the way the restaurant charges tips is confusing. They give you a so-called complimentary “bite food,” but don’t tell you that the tip calculation will be based on a bill that includes the $40 “gift,” which honestly isn’t worth even $10. For example, if you order $100 worth of food and choose 25% tip on the card machine, your tip will actually be calculated on $140, meaning you end up paying $35 in tips—effectively 35%—without realizing it unless you check carefully.

Tried HORTUS during NYC Restaurant Week — a Korean-French fusion spot tucked away in NoMad with a $60 dinner prix-fixe. The food was thoughtful and well-executed, with a few standouts and some pleasant surprises. I started with the Oysters & Shrimp Cocktail, which featured 4 Island Creek oysters with a gochujang vinaigrette. The oysters weren’t the freshest I’ve had but still within a good range. The gochujang added a sharp, spicy kick that made the dish feel distinctly Korean. The Seafood Jewelry Box was beautifully presented — not your typical poke bowl at all. It leaned much more Japanese in style, with fresh tuna, sea urchin, soy-marinated ikura, avocado, and a spicy mayo base. Very solid in both quality and portion. For the pasta course, we shared two: • The Korean Smoked Pasta had gochujang butter and N’duja sausage. Bold flavor, super aromatic — reminded me a little of a Korean take on Shaanxi-style spicy noodles. • The Clam Chowder Pasta was lighter, more delicate. It used a coin-shaped pasta that was perfectly chewy and soaked up the broth really well. Not the creamy New England type — more like a clean, umami-rich clam broth without the heaviness. For mains, the Short Rib was tender and flavorful — closer to a Korean-style braised short rib than a steakhouse version. The Abalone Sotbap was probably the most interesting dish of the night: soy-butter abalone over hot stone rice with radish and spicy soy sauce. The rice had just the right amount of crisp from the stone pot. Loved the fact that the restaurant didn’t just use Korean ingredients, but actually brought in Korean form and structure — like serving sotbap in a fusion setting. 🌟 Overall, this was a solid and well-balanced meal. For $60 in Manhattan, I wouldn’t call it insanely cheap, but it’s reasonably priced and high-quality, especially for fusion done with this level of thought. The atmosphere is warm and modern, perfect for a quiet dinner or low-key date night. Would return to try the regular menu, and definitely curious to see what else they do with their Korean-forward approach to fusion.

This beach bar was the best part of coming to this island. Spectacular view, and great service. Never had caviar with hash browns. Simple and unique Put a smile on my face. I can picture my friends and I spending the whole day here.

Exactly what you'd expect for a waterside dining spot in NYC, but slightly better. The prices weren't AS high as other places I've been to, and the food was a BIT better. We got lots of plump, juicy oysters, fries, and the bluefish dip. The drinks were similar (or the same) as the Grand Banks ones, with the Permanent Vacation being the most fun/photogenic, the Tropicalia being the most refreshing, and the Tropic Like Its Hot. being the most forgettable. It's no French Riviera, but this is probably as good as it gets for NYC waterfront dining.

We were there on a Saturday night so we sat at the bar to avoid waiting for a table. We had the dozen oysters and 2 cocktails. The bill came out to be $90 + tip . The oysters were $4 each but should have really been $1 The quality was so bad and it’s what I would expect from $1 oysters. Truth be told, I have had better $1 oysters. The quality was poor and 4 of the oysters had shell in them. The cocktails were surprisingly good in comparison to the oysters. But if I am paying $18 for a cocktail I don’t want it in a plastic cup. After our bad luck with the oysters we decided to leave and find restaurant in lower Manhattan.
Marya B — Google review
Killer view and staff that hustles, but the food? They had no fish or lobster even though it was on the menu. Really. The oysters and Caesar salad were meh. The raw shrimp were good. So, why give a license to a mediocre restaurant at such a great location? Find a better operator!
George S — Google review
Great service, great food, great drinks! Really no complaints, had a great experience and will definitely stop by every trip to gov island
Sarah R — Google review
When we sat at the bar to order, the man at the front sighed like we had the temerity to be customers. We were silent. He followed with the fact that he had just gotten a big order, sighed again, and said, "You're just gonna have to wait". I stood and told my friend we should try the restaurant at our lodging because I felt like a burden here. We noted another staff member and asked him to help us. The service improved. The food did not though. The fish and chips was overdone, but I was starving. My friend's chips with the dip were also overdone. I would encourage you to eat earlier than we did mid-week as most of the places on the island closed early. The price at this restaurant is not commensurate with the food and you may well be considered an inconvenience.

We got here while waiting for the ferry going to back to Manhattan... 2 or 3 ferries later. Dana was amazing and humble.. his cocktails were so good. The view and weather was just perfect! It's a gem...
Millie C — Google review
I am confused about the low ratings here. This place is awesome. The setting and vibe are awesome, with an amazing view of Lower Manhattan. The cocktails were fun and inventive and the fish & chips was one of the best I’ve had in a while. Love this spot & will return again and again!

Wonderful quaint little restaurant located in The Standard hotel. Beautiful venue, peak service, friendly staff, and delicious food. Wonderful place for a quick, but filling breakfast. We arrived and were seated instantly, with beverages given immediately upon request. Food portions were fair and extremely delicious! We were served quite quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

Haven’t been here in years. They used to have an amazing fried chicken on the menu. We should petition to bring it back lol. But overall everything g we got was really good. A great BLT with a really good aioli on it. Got the side salad with the BLT and they give a generous amount and very good house salad. The oysters were really good and fresh. The loaded spuds were very tasty as well, had a cream sauce and friend onions on it. Food portions are great size to share or if you’re just really hungry. Great chill ambience for easy lunch or dinner. Solo or with a friend or partner.

This has been on my list of go tos for a while, and I finally made it, and it was well worth it! The staff was lovely, and the interior was eclectic and beautiful, you felt like you were in a European Café! The food was so good, and their specials menu was very affordable! I got the BLT and a dirty martini and both were delicious!

I visited Café Standard a few times staying at The Standard. The street-side courtyard is such a lovely space to sit and people-watch over breakfast - the avocado toast, macchiato, and chocolate croissant were all fresh and satisfying. Later in the day, I tried the tuna tartare and kale Caesar with hanger steak. The steak was well-cooked, but the tartare was just okay, and the salad leaned overly salty with anchovies and capers overpowering the flavors. Overall, Café Standard shines most as a cafe in the courtyard - the food’s solid, the vibe’s great, and it’s the perfect place to start your day.

Pretty good avocado toast. 4 ⭐. Service was excellent. Server asked if I wanted salt, pepper etc after bringing out the avocado toast, I said I don't know, I'll try the food then if I need I'll ask him. But two minutes later he brought them out anyway, so that was nice. I did end up using a tiny bit of the salt. (Tangent: the tiny hot sauce bottle was cute haha)

Café Standard is more than just a coffee spot it’s an experience. The ambiance is stylish and lively, with comfortable seating both indoors and on the terrace. I stopped by for brunch and was impressed by the ricotta pancakes light, fluffy, and served with a generous drizzle of maple syrup. The iced coffee was refreshing and strong, just how I like it. It’s a popular spot, so it can get busy, but the energy adds to the charm. Perfect for a casual brunch, work meeting, or just enjoying the atmosphere. A reliable go-to in the neighborhood.
Anthony L — Google review
I love the ambiance inside; it’s intimate with great aesthetics. I ordered a delicious omelet filled with goat cheese. It's a great place for a chat, although it can get crowded since it's linked to the hotel. I recommend making a reservation if you're going on a date, just to be safe.
Felipe B — Google review
Unique and lively ambiance and vibe. Seems like a decent place for cozy conversations and set up laptop. Lots of coffee selections, and some interesting events each month in the hotel.

Oyster bar restaurant
Restaurant
Zadie's Oyster Room, a delightful creation by Marco Canora, is a must-visit for seafood lovers. This charming eatery boasts an inviting atmosphere with its white-washed brick walls and elegant marble bar, reminiscent of early 20th-century oyster houses. The menu features oysters prepared in various styles—baked, broiled, steamed, fried, poached, or pickled—ensuring there's something for everyone. Happy hour runs from Monday to Friday between 5-7 p.
I can't say enough about this place. The bounty of oysters was glorious. We went through two dozen and THEN did the chef's menu tour, which had some of everything, and was wonderful. It's a little crowded, and you should expect to sit at the bar or a bit of a wait, but it is absolutely worth it and the staff knows their stuff.
Andy S — Google review
The oysters are great and the drinks are good. The service when seated is even better. The downside is that it's a small space so it gets crowded fast and that's even more true when the weather is nice and there's happy-hour for oysters and drinks. It's worth the trip if you have the time or the luck to get a seat quickly.
A L — Google review
Really cute intimate spot focused on oysters. Decent wine selection. Staff is really nice and service was quick. Great option if you're looking for an oyster bar!
Saba K — Google review
My friend and I sat at the bar and tried all the oysters (fantastic), several delicious wines, the chicken liver pâté, caesar salad, deviled eggs, and anchovy butter. Everything was good, but the salad and pâté were stand outs. Service was wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable - we especially loved that they get all the oysters direct from the farmers and have personal relationships with them, which they happily told us all about. Can't wait to go back.

Service is great. Food is good. Very hot space and tiny, but cozy. Everything was great but for some reason felt more expensive than I thought I was worth. That’s subjective though.
Michelle Y — Google review
Went here for happy hour before a dinner with my gf. We loved the ambience and the happy hour oysters were fantastic! They had a great selection of oysters and other raw seafood snacks.
