The 50 best family-friendly hotels in New York City

I've stayed here several times while traveling for work. The location is fantastic and this hotel is the cheapest in the area. But you do get what you pay for. The room size varies, some are quite small others are a good size especially for New York. While I always stayed in a Full or Queen room, the hotel does offer family rooms if you're traveling with a group or large family. That said, the rooms are not soundproofed well (or at all) and if you're near a family room you'll hear the kids running/playing. You can also hear your neighbors tv. The cleanliness of the rooms has varied, but I think it was getting better on my most recent stay. The pillows are very uncomfortable and washcloths are not provided. The elevators are fast and usually not too crowded. The restaurant offers a lot of options to get food without leaving the hotel, breakfast is $20 which is a little overpriced for what it offers, but it is convenient. If you're looking for a super quiet hotel, don't choose this one. It's also not a choice if you're looking for great service and amenities. But if you're on a tight budget, don't need frills, and can sleep through some noise from your neighbors this hotel works well.

I recently stayed at the Wyndham in NYC Time Square , where I booked a family room for Saturday, September 13, 2025, to celebrate my birthday. As someone who has worked in guest services, I understand hotel policies and procedures. I called the front desk to inquire about early check-in, as the standard check-in time is 3:00 PM. The staff informed me that arriving around 2:00 PM would likely be possible without additional charges. However, when I arrived at 2:15 PM, the room was not ready, and I received no special acknowledgment despite mentioning that it was my birthday celebration when booking. I waited until 3:00 PM, only to be told that the room was still being cleaned. At 3:10 PM, I was given access to Room 1502, but upon entering, I found the room still wet and smelling of cleaning products, indicating it had not been properly prepared. Additionally, although I booked a family room for five people, the amenities provided were only sufficient for two. I had hoped for a small gesture to recognize my birthday, but there was none. Overall, my experience at this Wyndham was disappointing, and I feel it was not worth the money spent. This was my first time staying at a Wyndham property in the USA, and unfortunately, it was a waste of money.

Very poor service. No bell desk, asked to check bags in early and was told to put them in a room down the hall from the front desk, self service, and no bag tags, or lock on the room. House keeping starts banging the room door next to use at 9:00 am and opens and closes at least 30 times for the next hour. Temperature control difficulty in the room, no fan only mode, so it’s either a/c or nothing. Reservations refused to rebook our 3 night stay at current rates (33% cheaper than when we originally booked). Rooms aren’t bad, but will never stay again.

I stayed at the Tryp from Oct 9-12, 2025 for New York Comic Con. The location was ideal. I was able walk out the door, hook a right, and head straight to con. The rooms were on the smaller side, but still pleasantly decorated and comfortable. The cleaning staff was lovely. Front desk, dining, and management however, we're abysmal. The attitude and non-chalant attitude they gave over a repeated safe issue in the room was completely unprofessional. Even just answering basic questions about the rooms, hotel, bar, or area was like engaging with an uninterested and stuck up teenager who would rather be anywhere in the world than at work. Convenience aside, I won't be staying here again.

They charge a “resort fee” — but this is not a resort. During my stay, the room key programming machine was not working. Apparently, they only have one, and since it wasn’t working, I had to have an employee let me into my room every single time. If there was a lineup at the check-in desk, I had to wait in line just to be let into the room I paid for. Not only that, but they never checked ID, confirmed my name, or verified anything. Anyone could have walked in off the street, said they needed to be let into my room, and, as far as I know, would have been able to get in — no questions asked. So not only was it a significant inconvenience, but it was also a serious security concern. And then they have the audacity to charge the “resort fee” — even though I did not use a single amenity that’s supposedly part of their “resort.”

In comparison to similar NYC Manhattan hotels, TRYP has an excellent location, in proximity to subway and transit, as its best feature. I also appreciate the varied food selection of its internal restaurant/partner restaurant. However, it has many weaknesses in comparisons to similar hotels for which I wouldn't stay again. Some amenities are missing, namely a luggage check for early checkin/checkout. These are common place in NYC hotels with a secure room. TRYP has a large luggage room, a converted old library/waiting space, that's free for anyone to access. It has luggage from many guests and extra hotel items. It's messy, and lacks in any security. The room itself is reasonably clean, but clearly rushed with toiletries and towels being hit or miss if included. The room's have very thin walls, and were assigned a suite of connected rooms, despite only wanting a private room, increasing noise flow further. The other guests were partying from 2-4am, with multiple additional guests in their room. This makes for an unpleasant stay at best. I would hope staff would think through who shares rooms if assigning suites, not giving one room to a clearly pregnant woman, and one to 4 twenty somethings. Overall staff was fine, but not particularly welcoming and were unclear on fees. "Resort fees" were added despite pre-booking claiming "all likely fees included."

If you like rude service people lying to you, double charging you and treating you like ur nothing this is the place for you . The room had dirty bed sheets leftover trash from a previous guest I was told breakfast was included when in reality it is an additional $20 per person The front desk manager is extremely rude. He laughed in our face when we told them the toilet wasn’t working. He said that’s not his problem it will be 2 hrs before anyone can look at it I have never been so humiliated in my life. Please stay away

We stayed at the Lowe's forva long weekend to attend a wedding. The whole experience was the best hotel experience we have ever had. Checking was quick and easy. The whole process from dropping g of the car to entering our room was less than 10 minutes. One tip is to use the app to check in it really helps. Everyone of the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The hotel location is convenient for a walk in central park. We will definitely go back!

We were traveling with our dog and were warmly welcomed. The friendly and professional staff and attention to detail made this a fantastic stay. Lobby and restaurant are modern and bright. Rooms seem a tad dated but are large and comfortable. Hotel is meticulously clean. Location is remarkably quiet and convenient to Central Park, museums, Broadway and other key sites. A great experience!

Had a great experience this last weekend at Loews Regency. Check in was for Sunday afternoon but when we landed at 5:20am Sunday morning at JFK I called to see if we could drop off our bags and they said they would try to get our room ready which sounded amazing after a long flight. Arrived at 6:15am at the hotel and the gentleman at the front desk greeted me by name and had my room keys ready 🤯🤯. Talk about service! I know we would have early check in with the American Express membership but they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Food at the hotel restaurant was great and everyone we encountered offered exceptional service. Will definitely stay here next time we are in the big apple!

Every time I’m in the city, the Loews Regency is my go-to stay, and somehow it just keeps getting better. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between chic and comfortable, making it feel like a home I secretly wish I lived in full-time. The food is consistently incredible, and the drinks are always crafted with the kind of care that makes you want to linger just a little longer before heading out for the night. Honestly though the staff is one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back. They are so warm, friendly, and attentive that they make every stay feel personal. From the service to the vibe, everything about this place feels intentional and welcoming.

The customer service from this hotel is outstanding. We had a family emergency and had to cancel last minute. They worked with me to cancel our reservation with zero problems. They were helpful, kind, and efficient and made the process very easy. Veronica and Chris were exceptionally helpful. We will definitely stay with them in the future!

The moment you arrive - it is like you are a very important person - or just a member of the Loews family. Excellent in every area. We have been staying here for over 15 years and NEVER been disappointed and we travel the world. 20 Stars to the entire staff. The location is perfect.

We stay here with our kids every time we stay in NYC since it is local to our old apartment on the UES and it is by far the most comfortable, convenient, and accomodating stay in the city - especially with toddlers and babies! Very special gratitude to Robert Alana at the front desk, who goes above and beyond to make sure that we are comfortable each time we visit - he is exceptionally hospitable and a true asset to the Loews Regency.

We are so grateful to the staff at Hotel Beacon for their integrity and outstanding service. After our stay, I called to ask if a gold chain we had accidentally left behind was found. Not only did they confirm they had it, but they also promptly shipped it to us via FedEx. We received it quickly and safely. Our stay at the hotel was great: room was spacious but cozy; staff at front desk were very welcoming; and there are all types of delicious eateries just waiting to be discovered as soon as you exit the building. We also loved that our room had a kitchen for if we were inclined to cook…but with so many delicious restaurants nearby, we wound up only using the kitchen to brew some nice cups of hot tea at the end of our day. It’s truly a special hotel and we’d welcome staying here again in the future!

Visited NY for an opera weekend and chose the Beacon Hotel due to the location and availability of a suite. I booked a Deluxe Two Double Bed Suite With View (20th floor) and the room came to $751/night with all taxes included (that was a pre-paid, nonrefundable rate). Room was large, included a tiny kitchen, a very small but serviceable bathroom, and a good sized bedroom with its own door. (I like bedrooms with separate doors as it cuts down on hall noise, and although it seemed quiet out there at night this hotel has the usual VERY loud slamming doors.) Note that the beds in this suite were doubles - not queens - so they would be very tight with two adults. Couch was a pull out, and there would be room for a rollaway too (although I didn't use either). Rooms are quite dated, but clean. I didn't use the kitchen except for the keurig. I think if you were on a lower floor facing Broadway it would be quite noisy, but up higher it was no problem. Great water pressure, plenty of hot water, quick elevators (all potential issues in NY hotels).This is a fantastic neighborhood - full of wonderful food options, with a grocery store across the street that has a good café too (cheaper than the diner next door), a good liquor store right next door, close to the subway, and NOT TOURISTY. Not much shopping around, but Natural History Museum is close. I always stay in this area for Lincoln Center (usually at The Wallace Hotel). Service at the Beacon was very good. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood across the street from Fairway, a gourmet supermarket.and nearby restaurants. There are also fast food places nearby on 72nd Street. It is near the subway and bus stops on Broadway. It is within Easy walking distance to the Museum of Natural History and a short bus ride across the park to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The people at the front desk are always very gracious and helpful. The hotel lobby rooms are always spotless. The rooms are converted from apartments and are spacious, with high ceilings and big windows. There is a kitchen with his stove and microwave and refrigerator. Highly recommended!

My husband and I got tickets to the venue next door and decided to book a night here to make things easier and we're glad we did! Right away we were welcomed by the man outside and when we went in, check in was very easy and fast. The elevators are great, unlike the last place we stayed at that took 10min to get an elevator. Our room was a bigger size than we expected (the pictures are from when we were leaving, sorry!) and was very clean and comfortable. Our only two small complaints are the toilet was abnormally low and that felt really awkward, and when we started the shower, the water came splashing out all over the wall and floor. The water pressure is great!...just unexpected. There is plenty of hot water, though, and we were very happy with the rest of our stay. Checking out was easy and the man outside gave us some ideas for next time to consider to make things even easier. We only stayed one night but we will definitely be back!

What a gem! It's a great location, not quite 2 blocks from the 1-2-3 line, and the 2-3 takes you directly to Times Square in about 4 minutes. There really was nothing annoying here -- the water pressure was great, the elevators were zippy, and all the staff was SO NICE and HELPFUL. I stayed for 5 nights and I'm really not ready to go home.

A nice spot to stay, in a fantastic location. The building is a gem, kept in good condition. The stuff are what make it so special. We were greeted by everyone from the doormen to the cleaning staff. Miguel at the front desk made some great suggestions when we asked for help. Would absolutely stay again.

We stayed here for multiple nights and really enjoyed our stay. With a couple issues. The good: Fantastic service, from the bellman to front desk to housekeeping, everyone is a professional at this hotel and it shows. The location is amazing as well if you’re into shopping and all that midtown has to offer. Easily walkable even the Times Square. The lobby and entrance are beautiful and the history really shines through. The meh: We stayed in a corner suite. Nothing was bad about the room but nothing was really great either. And for the price you pay for this hotel you really expect “great.” The rooms’ decorations/furniture/feel were very underwhelming. The sitting area felt a bit drab, like something you’d have in an embassy suites. The bed was comfortable, but again not a stand out. Everything was very clean and I applaud housekeeping, they do a very good job. The bathroom didn’t have a double vanity sink situation which I feel like is standard for hotels of this caliber, especially in a suite. There were also a couple maintenance issues I noticed, like a dusty bathroom vent and some caulk peeling off between tiles in the shower. All in all we enjoyed our stay. I just feel like you’re paying for the prestige of the name and the location more than you are for a luxurious stay.

Good overall experience, but beware. I stuck my almond milk in the mini bar. Shifting the mini bar contents around was not appropriate. Upon checkout, the receptionist gentlemen notified me that I had accrued a $158 charge on my room tab by moving the bottles around. He told me that next time I stay I should ask to have my almond milk refrigerated by the staff; the mini bar was not for my personal use. He was frustrated by the large amount of people checking in and so had already been rude when I was waiting to be checked out. The bellmen were all great and very helpful. The mailroom staff gave me a piece of tape. The rooms are large and comfortable. I came here on business so I didn't book my own accomodation. The reception staff doesn't realize how important their interactions with patrons are. Put a sign on the mini-fridge and tell hotel guests that another option is available. Don't tell them off after the fact for a harmless error as I put all the bottles exactly as I found them.

Where to begin? The location is incredible — absolutely a 5/5. The Christmas décor is beautiful as well, though be prepared to navigate crowds in the lobby taking photos (which we understand and didn’t mind). We travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, and unfortunately this hotel just doesn’t live up to the hype or the price. After a long day of travel, we wanted nothing more than a glass of wine, but there’s no hotel bar, and the Gold Room requires reservations. There was supposedly another bar area, but we never once saw it open — and this was during Thanksgiving week. The only place we were able to get a drink was the outdoor festive bar that’s open to the public. Check-in offered no hospitality either — not even a simple glass of water. Most hotels offer water or something within the lobby. The room itself was spacious, but the beds were hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom had definitely seen better days, though that wasn’t a major issue for us. What really disappointed us was the lack of service, especially given the price. We shouldn’t have to walk over to the Intercontinental just to get a glass of wine or a quick snack for the kids before dinner. It’s genuinely absurd that there’s nowhere within the hotel to simply relax and unwind before going out.

This was an excellent experience. The staff was courteous, friendly, and professional. The rooms were great! My room afforded me a beautiful view of St. Patrick's cathedral, off 5th Avenue (yes, THAT 5th Avenue!) And it was really cool because the US Open was happening, and we had official tennis players staying in our hotel! Our room had 2 queen beds, the bathrooms were appointed in marble, I felt well pampered! Would definitely return!

Recent visit, room was acceptable, nothing special. The bathroom needed several repairs, the bathtub did not drain, and shower curtain did not keep the water in the tub, the floor was always wet after a shower, food was overpriced. Staff was friendly and helpful! There was no refrigerator or coffee maker, the bed had a comforter but no top sheet!!! Certainly not a 5 star hotel, 3 at best! Disappointed!!

We met Adam early in 2024 when my daughter, my mom, and myself walked off of Madison avenue and inquired if we would be able to peak in and see the ballroom, in anticipation of our daughter’s engagement. From our first encounter, Adam was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. He spent a lot of time during that first encounter answering questions, and showing us the different reception and cocktail hour rooms. It didn’t matter that we didn’t have an appointment, Adam’s approach was committed to excellence and represented Lotte NY Palace with pride ( he probably was aware that my daughter was not yet engaged);but he treated us with respect as though we would book the wedding that day. Adam’s professionalism and respect left an impression on us when it came to deciding which NYC venue to book a classic NY wedding for our daughter. We booked our daughter’s wedding at Lotte NY Palace in September 2024. The wedding process can be overwhelming and stressful at times. Adam was there to guide us and put us at ease several times throughout the process. He didn’t deflect or dis-regard any minor question or concern we had. He demonstrated warmth and supported us when we needed it the most. At the tasting Adam addressed all the questions and balanced two Italian families and their questions regarding portion sizes, type of clams served, etc making it fun and exhibiting confidence and again Lotte’s commitment to excellence. We will always be in gratitude for Adam’s hand holding when we needed it most. He understood the bride’s anxiety the MOB’s anxiety and all the politics when hosting a major event and the stress that is associated with it. His consistent reassurance and confidence gave us confidence. When we arrived at the Lotte NY Palace a few days before the wedding, Adam met us as we pulled into the parking garage with a big smile and warm reception. I must say all of the staff at Lotte NY Palace were professional and accommodating. From the first bellhop to the last everyone could not of been nicer. The personal dedication was evident throughout our stay. Everyone was kind, warm, patient, and efficient. This provided us with great comfort and allowed us to be present in the joy of our daughter’s wedding weekend. Adam surprised my daughter with an amazing upgrade that dramatically altered the vibe of the wedding weekend. On the wedding evening, Adam executed with precision and the event surpassed our expectations. We can not express in words our thanks and appreciation for all that was implemented by Adam and his staff to ensure my daughter’s wedding was the “The Best Day Ever”. Our guests continue to rave about the impeccable service, the quality of the food, and the flawless execution of the evening. Our family and friends will cherish the magical memories at Lotte NY Palace forever.

I came back to edit this review because Peter at the front desk is AMAZING!!!! His customer service and demeanor was vibrant, friendly and outstanding. Give this guy a promotion! As for the rooms we had issues with both rooms. Someone in purchasing dept needs to order a ton of clean new white lamp shades. In both rooms we had they were stained deep yellow and soiled looking. Also the tub cleanliness needed an extra wipe down (hair). View was great. Peter was great. Location was great. For the price the room standards and accessories etc need updating.

Amazing staff and service. Very accommodating. We had some issues with our reservations timings due to the storm and Daniel was super accommodating! Andrew from the bar downstairs was also very nice. Would 100% come back here.

The folks working here are terrific, kind, professional. My issue is that I turned in a free night, which I am supposed to receive a nice room for. It was accompanied with a reservation for additional nights. My room had headboards that had divots and scratches. The refrigerator was full of old food, and they evidently received a nicer amenity than I did. The water never got super 🔥. It was okay. The 🚿 needs to be exchanged. Since the hotel closed for a while, I expected it to be nicer. Tip: The avocado toast is very good.

We shared 4 days and nights at the Omni Berkshire Place and we were delighted with the stay. Being relatively new to Manhattan, we felt we could not have found a better location to stay than right in the heart of mid-town. The room was comfortable and well appointed, but it was the kind and friendly attitude and service that was most enjoyed. We especially would like to thank Andrew at Breakfast at Berk's Bar who we met and appreciated his advice, information and general friendly and kind conversation. All of our other interactions with the staff were just easy and pleasant. Should our path lead back to the city we will be sure to return to the Omni. Thank you.

A truly wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, the experience at Omni Berkshire Place was welcoming and smooth. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the staff made us feel right at home. Special shoutout to Lenny the Doorman, who greeted us with warmth every time we came and went—he made a big city feel more personal. And the concierge service was exceptional, always helpful with recommendations and directions that made our trip even better. The location is unbeatable, and the hotel strikes that perfect balance between classic luxury and modern comfort. We’d absolutely stay again!

The staff was amazing, as was the location. For the price, I expected more. The beds and pillows are great. The room spacious. However the bench at the end of the bed was wobbly, and the beautiful crown molding wasn’t mitered in one of the corners. The toiletries are all lavender scented. Lavender gives me a headache, so,I asked for something else. That seemed to present a problem. They said they would look for some of their old brand, and see what they could find. I did get 3 shampoos, no lotion, conditioner or soap. I had breakfast alone one morning and was ignored for 15 minutes. So while a nice hotel, the small details all added up.

I'm not sure exactly what qualifies as a 4-star hotel, but needing to ask for a towel, finding a pair of panties in the hutch, and having no refrigerator in the room can't be it. Otherwise the staff were lovely and the place was clean and convenient. Just seemed a little....out of sorts.

My family and I stayed here for 3 days while visiting New York City last week. The Hotel was conveniently located and a very close walk to Rockefeller center and the MOMA museum. The Hotel lobby was clean, and had a sophisticated yet comfortable style. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. And of course the amazing bell hop who pulled our bags out of the taxi during the rain storm last week, and got us quickly and safely inside to Check-in. The room was clean and we had no issues with the A/C or the elevators, everything was working properly. They were also kind enough to bring up a small refrigerator upon our request. The Terrace on the 17th floor has a nice view, especially at night. We also ate at Berk's Bar 3 times. A special thank you to Thomas for making our experience there so much fun! We will definitely be staying at this hotel again when we come back to visit NYC!

Going for a walk early in the morning feels refreshing and leisurely. The display boards might be more visible if it were a bit darker… but I still prefer the time when daylight is just beginning to break. Even in the early morning, there are a variety of food options like hot dogs and corn dogs.

We finally visited the iconic Times Square and whatever I had heard before about this is not an exaggeration. The vibe, atmosphere and the electronic billboards make this place a very happening one. Lots of shops and eateries near this place. A great crowd every time you visit. But at night after sunset this place becomes more awesome. Must visit and multiple visits are my recommendation.

Even having visited before, I have never felt the city pulse so vibrantly — the crowds, the colors, the laughter, and the chaos all weaving together into a living tapestry that is uniquely New York. Walking through the throngs, catching glimpses of costumes and celebration, and capturing these moments in photos and video made me appreciate the magic of New York in a way words can barely capture. Halloween night 2025 will forever remain vivid in my memory as one of the city’s most unforgettable moments.

This is nyc the busiest city in the USA. I love and hate this area at the same time but mostly I love it because the shows are nearby and you can get reduced prices if you wait online and so many food, places and historical places and even the US armed horses recruiting services center and you should definitely walk this area and not drive because you will be stuck in traffic During the day. Times Square is always an incredible place to be. There’s an energy there that you really can’t find anywhere else. From the street art and performers to the endless flow of people from all over the world, it feels alive every hour of the day. Visiting during the day and coming back at night gives you two completely different experiences. Great location and staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. We book through the Amex Fine Hotel collection, we didn't receive a room upgrade which was a little disappointing but the room was still very nice and spacious for a New York Hotel. Pro Tip: Try the corn nuts while getting a beverage in their lobby lounge, so good.

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights and 3 days here. We were supposed to get a double occupancy but because our ride dropped us off a few hours before check-in we got a different room with one bed but that's okay. We had the Central Park view. The people who worked at this hotel were nice and treated us well. Long story short I won an all-paid NY trip and the travel agent who was assigned to me chose The Ritz Carlton Hotel for us. Everyone who walked into the hotel was dressed nicely and you could tell they had money lol compared to myself and my boyfriend coming from the deep South of Mississippi we didn't own any business casual attire and the employees didn't treat us any differently. The bar in the hotel has great food and a shoutout to Manny who helped my boyfriend find a weed shop lol everyone was friendly. My favorite thing at this hotel was the showers the hot water felt amazing like I was getting a massage I never wanted to get out.

Hands down the place to be, across central park, the concierge was awesome in booking a last minute tour at 9 pm to midnight across New York! Fabulous from time square to little Italy, Joes Pizza and much more! Rooms clean and staff always helpful with a smile and pet friendly. They also coordinated a carriage ride around Central Park. They made our stay memorable.

This hotel was not what I anticipated. While its location is undoubtedly prime, it didn't meet the Ritz-Carlton standards I've come to expect. The rooms felt small, with dirty windows, basic amenities, and some old-fashioned decor and furniture elements. The service was basic, lacking the attention to detail I've encountered at other locations. Moreover, given the quality, the price was steep. If you're set on the Ritz-Carlton experience in this city, I'd suggest exploring their other properties or considering a different hotel.

Spectacular stay! I absolutely love the attention to detail that the hotel staff has shown. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff had left champagne and strawberries on arrival. We were asked for our plans before arrival and the guest relations manager left small mementos in our room after each event. This was greatly appreciated and showed the attention to detail we enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and responsive - we needed a few items during our stay and they were always provided in a very timely manner. The rooms get very spacious for NY and we're very clean. I am absolutely sold on the Ritz Carlton brand and will most definitely look for other hotels to visit around the world.

Super amazing hotel! I love the Thompson it's my absolute favorite hotel in the WORLD. I came for my anniversary with my BF and they literally treated me to an upgrade and some chocolates. The room was so amazing and clean. If you want to go to central park it's also 5 minutes away and there's this super delicious popular burger shop right down stairs. Just go here! Jacqueline Wu, the manager, truly made our visit special—her attention and kindness added so much to our trip, and we’re incredibly grateful. The location is unbeatable. Being just steps from Central Park made it easy to start the day with a morning run, and the hotel sits in that perfect pocket where Rockefeller Center and Times Square are close enough to walk, yet the street still feels calm and refined. Subway access is excellent—quick, easy, and extremely convenient. Our room was immaculate, and the overall vibe of the hotel is modern, cool, and welcoming. A Duane Reade is just down the block, which was incredibly useful for grabbing any essentials we’d forgotten. Each morning we ordered pickup from Liberty Bagels—highly recommend (0.3 mi). We also ate at Boucherie just a couple of blocks away and absolutely recommend it as well. Wollman rink less than a 10 min walk. We didn’t get a chance to try the burger spot onsite, but a friend who lives in the city raves about it, so it’s on our list for next time. We’d absolutely stay here again. The combination of location, service, comfort, and easy access to everything made this one of our favorite NYC stays.

Absolutely top-notch hotel — I have zero complaints. My higher-floor room included lounge access with an excellent breakfast and food and drinks later in the day. The room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious for NYC, with thoughtful touches throughout (even a Dyson hair dryer!). Everything was perfect from start to finish. Great location too — I highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

I’m very impressed about the stay. The housekeeping team is amazing and efficient. I asked for complimentary water and it was delivered within a very short time. The room was very clean and comfortable. Doormen were very helpful when I needed help or asked for directions. I felt every staff is trying their best to help the guests. Much appreciate it. The location is easy if you like to shop on 5th Ave or visit Central Park. It is walking distance. Overall it’s a wonderful experience. While I was appreciative of the requested early check-in and late check-out, the upgrade process was baffling. The app clearly showed a suite was available, yet the receptionist stated the room couldn't be offered because "the bathroom handle is broken"—a rather unexpected and hard-to-believe excuse for a full-service hotel. This lack of genuine upgrade effort was disappointing. We declined the option to purchase lounge access for $200 per night for a King room, as this seemed wholly unreasonable for what was being offered. ​Room & Amenities: The room itself was the standard Thompson style, which is generally well-designed. However, we encountered a significant maintenance issue: the bathroom lacked sufficient ventilation, causing moisture to be retained inside, which led to a musty smell. ​Breakfast & Club Lounge: The complimentary free breakfast was structured with one entree, one hot drink, and one cold drink per person. ​Final Thoughts: While the location is fantastic, the combination of poor elite recognition and the bathroom ventilation issue detracts significantly from the experience. Next time, I will likely try a different Thompson property or an Andaz to compare the Hyatt luxury brand experience.

Shockingly Unprofessional – Left Stranded in NYC With a Toddler I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with the Thompson Central Park New York was so unbelievably stressful and unprofessional that I feel other travelers should be warned. I was on a nine-hour flight to New York with my two-year-old when the hotel emailed me mid-air saying my card had been declined and I needed to update my details “or the reservation would be cancelled.” Obviously, I was on a plane and unable to receive the email until landing. The moment I switched my phone on after landing, I found out they had already cancelled my entire stay. No grace period, no reasonable attempt to reach me, nothing. They knew I was arriving that day, and they also knew I was traveling with a young child. Yet they still chose to cancel the booking while I was in the air and completely unreachable. When I called immediately—exhausted, jet-lagged, and standing in the airport with a toddler—the staff’s attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive. There was zero empathy, zero effort to help, and I was simply told they were now fully booked. No solutions offered, no apology that meant anything, just a cold “there’s nothing we can do.” I ended up stranded in New York with my two-year-old and nowhere to stay because of their terrible communication and awful customer service. Travelers deserve better. If you’re considering staying here, be aware that their policies and customer service are inflexible and unsupportive—especially in situations where a bit of basic human decency would have gone a long way. Just returned home. Our stay at the Four Seasons overall was 5 stars. Very accommodating in checking us in earlier than 3pm. And granting our request for late checkout as our transportation plans were delayed. We love the new tech way of communicating. Advance text message a few days prior to check in. And the ongoing communication on text platform assures effective communication without stress. Also use of the tablet in the room is an additional bonus for communicating. Hopefully, Four Seasons will consider the perks the company use to offer for the “cost” per room. The house car in my opinion is truly the luxury feel or the cherry on top that sets a luxury hotel apart compared to others . Not sure if FS can pitch a tier plan to offer to their guests . Room service is extremely pricey at least $10-$12 more than the norm although good quality food.. The Spa prices are a bit pricey. We had to opt for spa services off property because it was a little too pricey for a massage. The rooms are spotless, the soaking tub is amazing!!!! If FS would consider medium firm Foam Mattresses for the future, makes the body feel better. Overall our stay was pleasant and we thank you for our anniversary amenity 🙏

I’ve been to many four seasons including Boston, Seattle, Dallas & Houston locations and absolutely love this one. Have stayed here a few times and can’t wait to come back. Can always count on the rooms being clean, water available and staff willing to help. Great place to stay when I’m there for work and it’s close to my favorite deli, Katz.

We were very disappointed with the Four Seasons Hotel Downtown. For $1,500 per night, there were far too many problems to ever come back. You walk into a small lobby whose design could be anywhere. Every Four Seasons city hotel looks exactly the same, devoid of any character. We also found the food and service to be bad. We order room service - 2 coffees and mixed berries - for $89. The berries were tasteless and some had mold on them. We then went to the restaurant for breakfast and were told it was at capacity and had to wait 20 min to be seated, which is totally unacceptable. They were very short staffed and it took us far too long to order. The table next to us couldn’t even find a server to request the bill. All in all, it was a disappointing stay with bad service and food and tired rooms (knicks on the walls, peeling wallpaper etc.)

Sophie at the desk phenomenal. All staff excellent. Room perfect. Igor the GM even made a point to approach me and introduce himself. A big sports team was staying here and you can tell they had to put priority on them but with ZERO hesitation they made me feel like I was just as important or more than the team. I am a peninsula guy but I will be staying here when I need to be closer to downtown that’s for sure. And lastly “Duran” the lead doorman was something else. Went out of his way to make my life easier & flawless the entire stay. He understands how to make a guest feel important and our lives easier. Kudos to him. 5* A+++. GO HERE NOW.

This is probably the worst Four Seasons experience I’ve ever had. When I checked in, I found that the cups in my room were used absolutely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. All the hotel offered was a complimentary coffee, which doesn’t address the hygiene concern or reassure me that the room was properly cleaned. To make things worse, when I was leaving, the doormen just stood and watched instead of helping with the car, even after saying they would assist. Completely disappointing and far below the level of service expected from the Four Seasons.

Personally, my favorite hotel in NYC - perfectly located within walking distance of many attractions and noticeably calmer than most other places. And without a doubt, they have the best croissants in town!

My daughter has always been uneasy with elevators, and we were hoping for an alternative that would help her feel comfortable. Gabe and Rudy truly came to our rescue. They turned on the escalators just for her, walked with her up the stairs, and made sure she felt safe every step of the way. They even contacted the hotel manager, who kindly moved our reservation to the 10th floor—the closest guest floor to the ground—so she wouldn’t have to worry. Gabe’s compassion and patience meant the world to us. The way he spoke to my daughter, reassured her, and treated her with genuine care is something I will never forget. The entire Marriott team showed such understanding and kindness, and it created the most beautiful beginning to our New York vacation. My wife had a conference here and I tagged along. If you can stand the chaos outside, this is a gread place to stay. And it's very easy to escape from the chaos in their beautiful rooms. This place is huge so you will walk quite a bit to get around, but you have to expect to walk a lot in NYC. The room was beautiful and clean and very spacious with great views of the city and times square. It also feels very safe and secure, which is reassuring. If you can afford it and don't mind an extremely busy location outside, then I can highly recommend it here. We would stay here again. Staff was great too!

Beautiful hotel! Our room was directly across from the New Years Eve ball drop so the view was great! And I’ve never seen a hotel room with so many electrical outlets. We are usually scrambling for spots to charge our devices but not here!

Beautiful hotel with huge rooms in the heart of Times Square! What more could you possibly want? It's expensive, of course, but worth it. The View restaurant has wonderful views and fantastic food. Again, be prepared to pay big bucks, but the quality is unparalleled.

This hotel is very nice but also very expensive. We stayed here while visiting to see Hamilton. We were upgraded to a times square view room but even a normal room is insanely expensive. I don’t think I could stay here again if we came back. But the security after hours is great and room service is fast. This hotel also hosts many events so can be quite busy which means sometimes we had to wait a bit for the elevators. I think they definitely need a better system there as it seemed half of the elevators weren’t operating at all.

We had a lovely afternoon enjoying tea at The Palm Court located in The Plaza Hotel. The service was impeccable. One person in our party had some food allergies and the chef came out to talk with her. He made delicious alternative for her. The finger sandwiches, pastries and teas were delicious.It was an exceptionally experience. You must go at least one. Enjoy your visit.

We had the most awful experience here. When you go somewhere like this, paying prices like $36 - $38 for a turkey club, you expect good service and the fries that are served hot. The hotel included a service charge of 18% - we would have left nothing the service was so bad. Absolutely abysmal service. Firstly we asked the server if we could put our coats somewhere. He looked at us and said - "you can put it on the chair next to you", w. We had wine and water, when the water arrived there was only one glass which was slammed down on the table, water splashing everywhere. We had dietary concerns and when asked what could be altered to be gluten free the server looked at us and said "whatever" and was very dismissive. When the food arrived it was cold and the wine wasn't fresh. The only saving grace was because we had our jackets we were able to make a quick exit. AVOID THIS PLACE.

The staff and the hotel are superb! The staff are so helpful. Jose and Erica were the two that stood out to me. We did the Home Alone 2 experience. Wow. It included a 4 hour limo ride to all the hot spots, and our driver Mike was so kind he let us pick where we wanted to go. It came with a hot cheese pizza and a cooler full of Coke a cola and water. Then you get 19 scoops of ice cream with all of the toppings. Served through room service. Also got a teddy bear with a balloon and two turtle dove ornaments like in the movie. They always have real flowers. They told me they change them out every Thursday. The shower has wonderful water pressure. The bed was very comfortable. Our room has a terrace. I really enjoyed being out there listening to the water fountain. There are 2 chaise loungers to sit on. The most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. It is expensive but I feel it was worth every penny .

A Must-Do New York Experience! Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge with family and friends was absolutely unforgettable. Iconic walk with stunning skyline views The Brooklyn Bridge is a must-visit for breathtaking views of Manhattan. A great way to experience it is to take the ferry from Pier 11 to DUMBO and then walk back across the bridge toward Manhattan, which provides an amazing perspective of the skyline. The bridge is very close to downtown Manhattan, easily accessible, and the walkway offers plenty of photo opportunities. Crowds can be moderate, but the views more than make up for it. It's iconic, scenic, and perfect for a leisurely stroll with unbeatable city views.

During our previous visit to NYC in 2015 to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday we only walked 1/2 way across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan and never went all the way over to explore Brooklyn, so on our return visit in Sep 2025 to celebrate her 60th birthday we decided to walk all the way across. Our journey started with a 15 min walk from our hotel on Lexington Ave down to Grand Central Station where we took the 6 subway train to the Brooklyn Bridge City Hall station. After exiting the subway we walked to the main entrance of the bridge on the East Side of City Hall Park to begin the 1.1 mile walk across to the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area of Brooklyn. When we arrived at the bridge at around 11:30am on a Friday morning there were many tourists on the Bridge taking pictures and walking up to the mid point of the bridge with fantastic views of the Statute of Liberty to the right, the Manhattan Bridge on the left and the Manhatten skyline behind. The pedestrian walkway on the bridge is built above the road crossing so we were walking above a steady stream of cars they were passed slowly underneath us due the heavy volume of traffic. Subway trains don't go across the Brooklyn Bridge, however, they do go across the nearby Manhattan Bridge, below the road crossing. We saw a number of locks attached to the metal frame of the bridge, which are left as "love locks", as symbols of romantic commitment. Apparently this practice started around 2009, whereby couples inscribed their names on padlocks, attached them to the bridge, and often threw the keys into the water to signify their love was "unbreakable". However, this tradition has led to safety concerns and damage to the bridge, causing the city to remove thousands of locks and fine people for adding them. Many people only walked up to the mid point of the bridge before walking back to Manhattan, however, we continued walking across to Brooklyn where there was noticeably less people on the bridge in this latter section. It was a beautiful sunny day during our walk, which we enjoyed very much, stopping often to take photos and admire the fantastic views from the bridge

What an incredible experience at The Roxy Hotel in Tribeca! My girlfriend surprised me with a speakeasy-style jazz show at their cocktail bar, and it was unforgettable. The atmosphere was classy but relaxed - perfect for a night out. The food and drinks were top notch (highly recommend the steak!), and the customer service was exceptional. I mentioned it was my birthday, and the staff went above and beyond by moving us up to the front so we could enjoy the band up close. The jazz group performing that night was absolutely amazing - I wish I remembered their name! From the ambiance to the service, everything about the night was perfect. The Roxy is definitely one of those NYC gems I’ll be coming back to again and again.

Came here with friends on Saturday night to hear live music and grab a dessert before heading down to the Django where we had reservations. As far as food and service I highly recommend the lobby over the Django. No cover in the lobby. The red velvet cake was light and moist and the cream cheese frosting was whipped and fluffy. Delish.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Roxy Hotel. Initially a lil worried about the noise from the live music, but night 2 & 3 seemed to be better. The room and general vibe were great. Handy gym on-site. Location was very handy and the staff so helpful. There is a photo booth in the lobby, great fun for a keepsake too.

We had such a magical time at The Roxy. We really enjoyed all of the amenities, saw a jazz band at Django, watched a film in the theatre, even got past the velvet rope at Paul’s! The location was top notch and we’re able to walk to so many cool locations. Nancy’s bar was super cool—right down the street. We will be back!

It’s a really cool hotel In a really cool neighborhood and it’s really close to the subway, which is so convenient! I loved my room. It’s very large for a New York hotel room! The bed is great. The shower was great and everyone is very friendly. But I have one pretty big complaint- the noise from the jazz club is crazy loud even with their noise machine turned full blast. I am trying to sleep right now and 12:15am and there’s no way. Because of that alone, I would not recommend staying here unless you love to party and want to stay up until two or 3 AM.

decided to do a staycation in the city for my birthday and try to experience a nice jazzy hotel since i had never done so before. prior to us arriving my boyfriend made a request for my special occasion with the supervisor and the business they collaborate with, an extra $110 and was told everything would be taken care of and would be ready to go for our stay. it never was delivered, and no notes on our reservation were taken about this accommodation. it is really ridiculous that the supervisor would tell us that everything was good to go and when we get there we are getting told that this was never a thing. on top of that the special request through this company that the hotel collaborates with never delivered the order.. as for the rooms in this hotel, our first room was on the second floor and i must say the music from the lobby especially with the noise cancellation sound was so loud, i do not know how anybody can sleep on the floors 2-5 realistically. we were then upgraded to a room on the 7th floor since we didnt get our special paid request which was more quiet but still wasnt what it shouldve been. during our last morning, i started to hear what sounded like a rodents foot steps in the vents and that just sold it to me that i would not stay there again. the valet parking is something guest should be left with simple trust and care. we gave the nighttime valet person the keys when we arrived and he told us that they would drop it off at their garage so in case we needed anything from the car it would be a simple walk. when we come out the next morning asking the valet from the morning shift he said it would be a short walk which was perfectly fine for us and then when we came out of the hotel, our car was still in the same spot we left it in yesterday when we arrived. luckly the valet sign was right next to our car because they were also doing construction on the street and our car wouldve been easily towed. this kind of customer service and "care" for the guest is incompetent and is shameful for a "four-star" hotel.

I had the worst experience today with the Roxy Hotel and their staff. I booked a room online and called immediately after to confirm my reservation since I never received a confirmation email. I did in fact receive a confirmation number after booking and confirmed on the phone with the Roxy Hotel directly. The staff member informed me that they received my reservation and the email has been having issues and I would receive an email in 15 minutes. I drove all the way from Virginia to spend my anniversary with my partner and upon arrival to the hotel I had an interaction with a very rude and sarcastic staff member. She should not work with customers if she’s going to speak with guest with an attitude. I was being kind and it was very uncalled for. After speaking with what I believe is the manager, she was somewhat helpful I guess you could say..she confirmed that there was no reservation under my name or confirmation number even though I booked directly through the hotel website. She apologized and basically kicked us to the curb since they had no rooms available. I’m just so disappointed that we drove hours to this beautiful hotel to have such a bad experience. On top of that they gave us no recommendations or alternatives to figure out our stay for the night. We were left outside looking for other options for over an hour since we aren’t from here and didn’t know where to look next. Save your money and skip this hotel.

Overall, a pleasant stay. All staff encountered were friendly, room was clean and presentable. The rooftop pool is a great afternoon escape after a walk in the city. The above said, the room doors need to be better insulated, as hallway noise was very loud (talking and slamming doors) in the room. Additionally, some of the plumbing fixtures were misaligned which made use tricky.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Close to everything you'd want. Most staff you interact with are very friendly and helpful. A few at the front desk weren't as good as others, but hey everyone has tough days. Bar is lively and the facilities are clean. The room was good, but unfortuantely not 5 stars. Everything was clean for the most part, but the bathroom especially looks tired. A lot of wear and tear. The HVAC struggled considerably as well. If it was more than a one night stay, I would have requested a new room. Definitely note- doors slam very loudly when exiting rooms. Walls are already quite thin, so this could really disturb a light sleeper. Bed is comfortable and linens are nice. Overall, a good experience.

Gansevoort advertises itself as a full-service luxury hotel. My experience felt more like a mid-tier hotel that hangs a high price tag on its rooms due to location. Pros: - close to EWR for flights in and out of the city - location may be attractive to leisure travelers - rooms are clean and housekeeping is attentive Cons: - when I checked in at 7pm on Tuesday, with 35 degree weather and wind chill there was absolutely no one to help me with the door. Same happened on the way out - there was a woman with two large bags checking out and leaving the hotel and there was no one to help until l had to go and hold the doors open for her - room service - the person on the phone was curt and sounded like they were having a bad day but why take it out on a customer? - no express laundry service - if you have to get your suit pressed for the day, it's not an option. Express pressing services are common and expected at every 5 star establishment and I see this service offered consistently across the country (I'm on the road well over half the time). I was in town for a black tie fundraiser and ended up trudging along in the cold to find a laundry service in the neighborhood - front desk staff are mostly cold, and often unhelpful, far from friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately this will be my last stay at the Gansevoort. Andaz San

Hotel Belleclaire is a lovely blend of old New York charm and modern comfort. The location on the Upper West Side couldn’t be better — quiet, residential, and just a short walk to Central Park, the subway, and plenty of great cafes and restaurants. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side (as most in Manhattan are), but they’re clean, stylish, and comfortable. The hotel has clearly kept some of its historic character while updating the essentials — nice linens, good water pressure, and reliable Wi-Fi. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and check-in was smooth. There’s also a small café in the lobby, perfect for a morning coffee before heading out. If you’re looking for a cozy, boutique-style stay in a safe, charming neighborhood, Hotel Belleclaire is a great choice.

My stay at Hotel Belleclaire was disappointing in several ways. After my first night, I requested a room change due to excessive noise from the adjacent room, which was occupied by a family with several young children. The walls are very thin, and I could hear everything; conversations, doors slamming, and footsteps. Making it difficult to rest. The staff did accommodate the request, but the new room was the same size and layout, and still much smaller than what the hotel photos suggest. One of the most frustrating parts was related to the Fora welcome amenity, which was supposed to be a wine hour at the bar. Upon arrival, I was told to come down at a specific time to enjoy it. When I did, I was told it had been canceled; without apology or explanation. The following day, I saw other guests receiving the wine amenity as promised. The front desk staff treated me like a regular guest with no recognition of the Fora partnership, and the receptionist made no effort to acknowledge the mix-up or offer a solution. While the location is convenient for Upper West Side activities, the overall experience lacked warmth, attention to detail, and value. Especially for Fora clients expecting curated perks or elevated service.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — close to everything and very convenient for exploring the city. The building has a classic charm but has been beautifully renovated with great taste. Our room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the service throughout the hotel was friendly and efficient, especially at the cocktail bar, where the staff were outstanding. The only downside was the breakfast arrangement. Although our booking stated that breakfast was included, we were given $10 vouchers instead. Unfortunately, that amount barely covered a coffee and a croissant, this is probably the “American-style breakfast.” Despite that small inconvenience, the overall experience was very positive, and we would definitely stay here again. I frequently mention quality customer service is a thing of the past, but I was proven wrong at Hotel Belleclaire. My family and I had an amazing experience while lodging in the city for my birthday, and the service provided by Shanis (or Shanice/Shanise — apologies for not remembering the correct spelling of the name) left us mesmerized. Shanis was extremely kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. This was my first time at Hotel Belleclaire but it certainly won't be the last all because of the 5-star treatment we received.

Luxurious, very classy, beautiful hotel at Columbus Circle on the south end of Central Park. The staff is amazingly warm and welcoming and supportive. The restaurant food is delicious. One of my best experiences while I was there was eating dinner at the hotel restaurant by myself. The staff was so supportive and welcoming to me that I had a lovely time, even though I was alone. The rooms are luxurious and have amazing views of the city skyline. The hotel is very expensive, but for a special splurge it is definitely worth it.

Deserving of a 6 Star rating. I have listed several experiences on this short 4 day stay. We chose the Mandran because it is close to the Lincoln Theater. My wife had a small issue with another guest. The staff was engaged and responsive. Without us having to ask, Sebastian reached out to me to follow up and went above and beyond for us to make sure we were taken care of. I truly appreciate that he took a small concern and acted on it with style. While waiting for my wife I went to the bar for a quick drink. I was surprised to see a speakeasy style bar that was very comfortable. The Bartender was very friendly, attentive and professional. He made me a cocktail called the Bangkok. It was so good, I ordered another one to go. When I returned to the room, my wife who is not a big drinker actually drank the whole thing. The attention to detail from the bar staff and manager was second to none. The Bartender was clearly one of the best. On our way out I ordered an uber on my phone. We got downstairs a tad late but the doorman had already told our driver where to wait, stopped traffic for us, and escorted us to our car. Exceptional service. I would like again the Thank Sebastian for not just giving me a meaningless apology and sympathy, but for taking action. Every encounter with every employee was professional, calm, and relaxing. In the US and abroad we usually seek out a Four Seasons for their excellent properties and service. The Manderian staff and accommodation exceeded your typical 5 star expectation. Great Job!

MO Lounge never disappoints. The beef tartare was phenomenal, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The katsu sandwich was just as impressive. Service was impeccable from start to finish; the team is genuinely warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. A perfect spot for great food, great views, and an elevated experience. I stay at The Langham New York twice a year, and the service is always impeccable. The same incredible team has been there for years you can feel how much they care about their guests. Sean at the front desk is so helpful, and the bellmen and doormen are always so warm and professional. The rooms are nice and spacious. After long workdays in the city, I’d come back to little macaron treats, a bottle of wine, and thoughtful surprises that made me feel right at home. When I had to extend my stay, they went above and beyond every single night. The turndown service, room service, everything they truly go above and beyond for the guests. It’s understated luxury at its best...elegant, spotless, and low-key in all the right ways. I’ve stayed at the Aman and the Four Seasons, but nothing compares to The Langham. I have a hard time wanting to leave. They care about the customer and have thought every single travel pain point to ensure its a great stay.

My first time at The Langham was lovely. The rooms were spacious and clean with a gorgeous view of New York. The staff were helpful and polite. They also have fresh coffee at the lobby on the morning and a cold tea during the summer which helps when it’s hot out! Very central location. I do love the subtle pink accents. Would come back again!

Langham review We just left the property and for the first time in a long time ( while traveling monthly with the family ) I am sad to say we are leaving the property! The Club Level staff became our friends and family. From Aman, Ritz Nomad, Trump Central Park, Ritz Central Park, Equinox Hotel: this place surpassed our expectations! Just BLOWN away by the kindness, hospitality and sincerity of all the employees that we were in touch with, but especially at the club level, the manager named Kathy as well as Albert, Milton and of course Florin! Truly super impressive! I don’t usually ever leave reviews but this trip and these individuals touched our heart and made our trip very memorable even during the rainy days! Can’t wait to go back and will never stay anywhere else!

We arrived excited for our wedding anniversary but were disappointed with our first room: very little natural daylight, a mattress that wasn’t supportive, and a breakfast price that felt steep for the experience. I raised this with Jamel from the front of house, and that’s where The Langham, New York truly shone. Jamel listened, took ownership, and immediately moved us to different room. The difference was night and day-bright, comfortable, and the mattress was perfect (like home). From that point on, everything elevated: the lounge is excellent, and every team member we met was warm and genuinely helpful. What began as a frustrating start became a standout stay and a special anniversary we’ll remember. Huge thanks to Jamel for turning things around across multiple touchpoints. Sadly our first choice (TownePlace Suites New York Manhattan/Times Square) got sold out for the dates we intended. =X So we settled for the Residence Inn New York Manhattan/Midtown East for 5 nights. Next time I'd probably stretch the budget a little to try a better grade of hotel due to how underwhelming our stay was. Kinda wished we had gone for the Lexington (a few meters way) instead which had a really spectacular lobby. The walk to the train stations and supermarkets were about 10 minutes. Because the hotel doesn't sit on a main road, we couldn't hear any traffic noise from the room. The hotel and rooms were showing their age, especially the lifts and bathroom would welcome an update/renovation to make the hotel more welcoming. The water dispenser in the gym had an excruciating slow water flow; 2 bottles of complimentary water for the entire stay. I guess the easy attainment of Bonvoy status from US credit cards meant that our Titanium Elite status is pretty commonplace, resulting in a very rare occurrence where we didn't receive a room upgrade. Really appreciated the full sized refrigerator in the room and the unlimited self-service printing service at the lobby. The breakfast was so-so, the food options were very repetitive with the same bread, oatmeal and cerals; the self-service waffle machine brought some respite to the boring breakfasts. 4 hot dishes were kind of rotated daily, though sausages are always on the menu. Only 1 day out of 5 was the breakfast spread slightly more interesting/delicious.

My wife and I had a great stay at this property in room 202. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Our room was lovely and included a walkout patio that overlooks the main street, a full kitchen, and a separate bedroom with a bathroom that had both a shower and a tub. The location is convenient to all the main attractions, including Times Square. However, a word of caution: the daily parking rate is a whopping $100.😖 We used rideshare services instead and had no issues getting around. There's a dedicated pickup and drop-off lane right at the front of the property.

Lovely hotel, nice room. Except for the "grum grum Grum Grum GRUM GRUM Grum Grum Grum" loud low-pitched grind all night long. Can we turn it off? No that's the building ventilation. Change rooms? We're all full. So why have a room with such a loud ventilation noise, making it hard to sleep? Need to do something to abate the noise, insulate better, or just not use certain rooms. Aside from that, the hotel was lovely. Courteous staff, nice breakfast, clean rooms. Oh one other thing: the sliding bathroom door has a good-sized gap with direct visibility to the toilet, even when in the locked position.

This was one of our best ever stays in New York. New York hotel rooms are typically very noisy at night - even though we were on the third floor, we could not hear the street noise which made for a great night of sleep. The rooms are spacious and the hotel breakfast of eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit and muffins is a huge benefit. The hotel is easily walkable from a number of locations and it is easy to catch the metro to Penn Station after walking just a few blocks. Staff were generous and kept our bags for us after checkout. There is also an outstanding Danish bakery up the block if you want an additional morning treat!

The rooms are as to be expected, convenient and clean. The breakfast had a really great choice also better than other Residence Inns I've been, too. Not easy to find in Manhattan. We had to come to NYC for personal reasons and stayed here one night. What a nice property!!! We loved our room!! For a city hotel where most of the rooms are tiny this one was pretty spacious!! Everything was clean too! We didn’t get to try their breakfast because we got up late, but we were enjoying the comfy bed after a looooong trip!! The front desk guy was super nice and welcoming! The location is perfect! Walking distance to everything! For the price this was very nice! The only negative thing I have to point out, the balcony was nice to be able to sit and enjoy but the lock on the door was damaged and we couldn’t open it. Will definitely stay here again when we come up north!! Totally recommend this property, especially if traveling with children. The kitchen is very nicely equipped and the space in the room is also awesome!

Stayed for 5 nights with 2 kids in a room with 2 queen beds. The price was little bit high since it was a UN assembly at that week. But overall was perfect choice for our trip. We walked to most attractions by foot. And for the far onec there was a metro station not far. Also there was a whole food supermarket after the cornner. We didnt eat there so icant tell how good the ffod there , but the restaurant was always full. Another cool stuff, on our first night a robot named alina came to the room and gave the coloring pages and doll. The staff was super nice and even helped ship us something we forgot in the room. Our window was not faced the street so it was very quiet at night

This hotel is amazing! The rooms are spacious, feature numerous and very generous amenities, and the beds are very comfortable. However, the water pressure in the shower can be better, and the hose for the handheld shower was leaking. (room 905) The onsite food is incredible. The restaurant served us delicious pizza, with quick and kind staff. The menu is small, but you are sure to find something to enjoy. The staff are super kind. They call to ask you about your stay which we thought was nice. Alisa at the front desk is very kind, and her partner Alina is very helpful. Alina is a robot. Will stay again! Thanks for providing us with great service and support.

This hotel is fantastic, the staff are extremely welcoming and took care of my son too. Doormen were exceptionally mannered and very helpful. I cannot fault the hotel with only one exception; Housekeeping is inconsistent, sometimes coffee is topped up, but no creamer or stirrers, another day creamer but no coffee. Same goes for toiletries, sometimes refreshed, sometimes not. I know the HK staff are different daily, they do a great job and properly clean the rooms, but it's hit and miss. The hotel know this as they keep coffee, creamer, toiletries etc in a tray at reception, by this I don't mean one or two for the just in case, but alot of them. If this was sorted out, the hotel would be damn near prefect. I travel alot for work and live in hotels around 40% of the time, this is by far the best yet. If you are a tourist to NYC, just book this place, good value compared to the competition and near faultless. Location also brilliant.

Outstanding service and perfect location! I stayed at LUMA Hotel Times Square and was truly impressed by how professional and accommodating the staff were. Upon arrival, there was an issue with the room type that had been booked through a third-party platform (Revolut Stays) but the hotel team around Waris Saeed handled the situation exceptionally well. Even though they were nearly fully booked they went out of their way to find a solution and offered me a suite for a small additional charge — a clear sign of genuine hospitality and great customer service. The staff were kind, efficient and clearly cared about making sure we were comfortable and satisfied. The location is unbeatable — just steps away from Times Square, Bryant Park and plenty of great restaurants and cafés. I’ll definitely stay at LUMA Hotel Times Square again on my next visit to New York. Highly recommended!

Great hotel right in walking distance of Times Square, Culture Espresso and the Hudson Theater. The staff were all so friendly and personable. The rooms were nice and clean! They have a little robot helper lol. The food from the attached restaurant was soo delicious. Get those Arancinis! We had a great time and would definitely come back. It was perfect.

I first booked this hotel because I read it was number two within the area and it was the only hotel available last minute. It is not cheap but money is not the issue. The issue with this hotel is if you are a high end individual with high-end cars they are not able to cater to you. I brought in my Rolls-Royce and told me I have to park it myself. It is a liability. The first day they chauffeured it the second day they told me the manager has to chauffeur the vehicle because it is a liability because it is an expensive car which I understood they coordinated with the manager. They said that they were going to valet the vehicle my third night of stay. I came to the property where they informed me that the manager is not available and I have to park the vehicle myself. This makes it super inconvenient. When I read online it says it has valet when it comes to a high-end person like me they are not able to valet my vehicle Unfortunately I will not be staying here again. My suggestion for anybody that is above average income bracket choose a different hotel that could accommodate your needs. The staff are nice, but unfortunately, they cannot cater to high-end individuals which is extremely disappointing. I walk 20 minutes in the rain because they did not valet my vehicle

Loved everything about our stay here. Close enough to Time Square but not noisy. Great service and comfortable rooms with enough space for family of 5 (3 kids). They sent the Robot Butler up to our room with kids slippers and robes -that was fun for all. Staff were super helpful and our luggage was stored safely when we arrived very early morning and also at departure. I also appreciated that there was a Whole Foods and a CVS around the corner as I did prefer to buy my own shampoo etc. since the small sized ones they provided didn’t feel sufficient for 5 of us even though I’m sure the staff would have provided as much as we needed. I also liked the adult size slippers, umbrella and Dyson hair dryer in the room.

Great location with easy access to the subway. We stayed in the three bed room - a twin bunk bed and full bed - and had plenty of room for 3 adults in the beds plus enough room on the floor for an inflatable twin mattress, with room to spare. Cool decor and friendly check in staff. Fair value for the room too. The place was quiet and the walls were soundproof.

We were dissatisfied with our stay 10/24/25 - 10/26/25. We have reached out to hotel management (Travis T. and Ari G.) by email and voice messages and have been completely ignored. The hotel had wifi issues that affected our check in. Based on recent reviews, this is an ongoing issue. Our window shades were in disrepair and stuck in an open position. The window curtains were also in disrepair and could not be fully closed for privacy. Our TV could be turn on, but an error message advised that there was no connection to programming (front desk person said it was related to the wifi issues mentioned above). Our room telephone was dead, so we had to return to the lobby to report these issues. The bathroom was not stocked with facial tissues and just one roll of toilet paper (a hotel in this price range should provide a back up roll, you would think). In addition to the above, overall maintenance seems to be lacking. Carpeting in the hallways were soiled and worn. We have regularly stayed at this property in the past and had always been happy with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the convenient location. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Even the breakfast buffet has gone down hill, little touches like hot oatmeal that used to be served are noticeably gone. Apparently, hotel management doesn't care, based on their lack of response.

Superb location with multiple public transportation options. Close to restaurants and topped off by a truly fantastic staff. If that's what you're going for, choose this hotel. Everything else about this place tends to be lackluster. Spartan furnishings and poor maintenance have taken their toll over the years. The room rates are commensurate with the big boys but this place doesn't hold a candle to the nearby name brand hotels. There was a major issue with our room but the excellent staff quickly moved us to a different floor and room which turned out to be much better. Breakfast is basic and for your mandatory Resort Fee you get cookies in the evening if you are lucky, and some lukewarm coffee. But that's what microwaves are for, right? Don't expect fast or consistent internet speed here. Remember, you are really paying for a truly marvelous location and friendly staff. Kudos to Jewel, Maria, Travis and Orlando!

Nice and clean place, well maintained. Can’t say much about the view since my room was on the 2nd floor and mostly faced some stored items outside, but overall it’s a decent hotel. I loved the spacious setup and the blackboard with chalks such a creative touch that really grabbed my attention.

Stayed 4 nights for a conference nearby. It was much more affordable then most of the hotels near conference site yet the quality was strong. It was a cute smaller hotel, nicely decorated, friendly staff. Hotel space & room were clean. It was not a fancy place but they did lots of little things to make it look good & have an enjoyable stay. Full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & lotion in the bathroom instead of the normal tiny tubes you get. Continental breakfast, cookies in the evening. Fruit coffee tea lemon or cucumber water available all day. Great neighborhood & location next to Atlantic Avenue with lots of cool businesses.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Nu hotel for 4 nights. The rooms were set up pretty well with closet space and a desk that was easy to work around, having a microwave was a bonus. The bed was a little hard but pretty comfortable with comfy pillows. The shower was nice and hot but lacking a little with the shower pressure. Breakfast was mediocre with toast, meat, cheese, and hard boiled eggs. Front desk staff wasn’t too helpful with restaurant, bar, and store recs in the general area, they also always had AirPods in which was a little off putting. The area was ok for what we needed, there was restaurants, bars, stores all in walking distance. We would maybe stay at this hotel in the future but probably wouldn’t be our first pick.

I don't understand the bad reviews for this place. Is it the nicest hotel I've ever been to? No, but it's a 3 star hotel so it was perfect for what we wanted. It's not the cleanest hotel but as someone who really does care about that - it was totally fine. The front desk people were sooo nice and helpful. Anytime we needed anything, they would jump right on it. Location is great too.

A perfect choice — full marks from us! The service at San Carlos Hotel was absolutely impeccable. Beyond the professional daily support, every staff member we met was warm, caring, and genuinely attentive. They helped us to solve several problems including parking and daily plan. It's rare to find this level of hospitality in the middle of NYC’s steel and concrete. We stayed in a suite — spacious, clean, and well-equipped. Excellent value for money. Oh, not mentioning yet the great location! San Carlos truly added warmth to our New York journey. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing stay at the San Carlos Hotel. The room was comfortable, clean, and very well maintained, making my experience even more enjoyable. The location is perfect, close to many attractions and great restaurants. But what truly stood out was the exceptional service from Carlos at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His professionalism and kindness really made a difference during my stay. I highly recommend the San Carlos Hotel and will definitely return in the future!

This hotel is in a perfect location for your first time in New York, with many attractions within walking distance. The building is old and more sensitive tourists might find the furniture a bit dated. However, we will give this hotel a 5 because of the great staff. From the cleaners to the receptionists, everyone is kind and friendly, making us feel right at home. Also, the rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable, everything is very clean and tidy. We are glad we chose this hotel for our visit to New York.

The San Carlos Hotel is very well located at 150 East 50th Street, Midtown East, Manhattan.  You are between Lexington and 3rd Avenue.  You’re very close to 51st Street subway station (and Lexington/53rd) which gives good access to many parts of NYC.  Near‐by Places to Visit (within ~10 min walk) Here are 2-3 things you can reach easily from the hotel by foot: 1. St. Patrick’s Cathedral – a beautiful neo-Gothic cathedral on 5th Avenue. It’s only about 5-7 minutes away.  2. Rockefeller Center / Top of the Rock – iconic landmark, observation deck, etc. Also about 8-10 minutes walking, depending on pace.  3. Grand Central Terminal – impressive historic train station, shops, architecture. Roughly 8-10 minutes by foot. It’s a good hotel. Perhaps in need of a little refurbishment here and there, but certainly staying there gives you excellent value especially for location and space.

Wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and the trip back to NYC wouldn’t have been the same without the stay at San Carlos. Great location and accommodations! The staff is always extremely kind and attentive. Will be back again next time, cheers and thanks to SCH.

Spacious rooms compared to the average New York rooms. The Staff is very helpful and rooms are clean. It is also located at a convenient location if you visit it as tourist. It had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Free WiFi. Close to central park. Cot was provided for our kid.

San Carlos Hotel is a fantastic property in a great location. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and was a great change of pace to the usual chain experience. We visited with 3 kids under 6 years old and the 2 room suite was perfect to fit everyone.

Absolutely love this hotel and so glad we found it. You seriously cannot beat the location near Little Italy and Chinatown. It’s super accessible to all transit stations. There’s no issue with homeless or city dirtiness. There’s an ample amount of food variety nearby. It’s quiet, smells lovely, very clean, and adorably decorated. The room was the perfect size although we had small issues with the room (thermostat, toilet, etc) - the staff was super quick to address all of them and were all so kind. This hotel has no elevator as others mention so please beware before booking.

Great place to stay in NYC. The hotel has a cool aesthetic, colourful and interesting. The rooms are tight but tidy and practical, bathroom was clean. Be aware there was no fridge. We found the service to be excellent, we had some tricky laundry done which the staff made sure was done properly and we very much appreciated the help. The location is great being close to many subway stations so easy access there and lots of places to eat. China Town and Little Italy are a stones throw away. We had a great time and would stay again . Big thanks to the staff and the concierge who helped us lug our bags up and down the stairs!

Room was small but perfect for a NYC getaway. Walking distance to little Italy, china town and Soho shoppes. The location is perfect. The decor in the lobby is very nice and the hotel is extremely clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating as well. This hotel is not wheelchair accessible and you will have to carry your bags upstairs. BUT if that’s okay with you then you’ll be just fine lol!

This hotel is a great place for couples. Very chic, and very fun. An area budding with fusion. Great lobby for business meetings. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Robin from How I met your mother was eating at a restaurant nearby.

Finding a NYC hotel is stressful. You want the perfect location, walkability, safe, yet have fun places to eat/drink. This location is perfectly settled in SoHo. There's plenty to eat, drink, and see in a walkable distances. If you need to travel further the train is not far. Our room had two queens and was thankfully large enough to house 4 adults without feeling like we were on top of each other- I would note the rooms are likely larger than most in NYC. The beds were comfortable and the room had the standard necessities of a hotel. The city itself is loud and I noted others mentioning the noise, I didn't think the noise was outside the norm for the city. The hotel does not have an elevator so if you need accommodations or don't like 4 fights of stairs then this place isn't for you. We enjoyed our stay and really thought everything about this hotel fit our requirements: location, comfort, and safe

This hotel is all about location. The ambience is really cool and the property smells amazing. We had to use stairs to get to the rooms. We didn’t see elevators. I would say this is an adult oriented hotel. Not family oriented.

Can not align with any of the positive reviews. While the bath rooms were clean, same can not be said about the bed room. A simple swipe over the books on the bed side tables would expose and amount of dust that is simply unacceptable. Mattresses are overly worn. TV/Media System outdated to a degree, it makes you feel like staying at a 2* hotel. On another occasion our Whole Foods groceries (mostly full water bottles) were apparently mistakenly deemed trash and removed. In room dining was above and beyond disappointing. On a positive note - the front desk staff was amazing and so was the concierge. Expressed my concerns directly to Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts, was promised to receive an E-Mail by Patricia, the manager, to address concerns and have never received anything. Overall a disappointing experience, especially with so many wonderful alternatives in the city.

My wife and I visited The Lowell Hotel in Upper East Manhattan to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary, and the Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea, a collaboration between The Lowell and Dior Maison by the Majorelle team, was truly unforgettable. We’ve experienced several popular afternoon teas in the city, but this one stood out in every way. The presentation, food, and tea were all exquisite, and the floral arrangements were absolutely stunning—fitting, since my wife is a florist and a longtime admirer of Dior. What truly set this experience apart was the hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and cared for. Jessica, the hostess, went above and beyond by graciously accommodating a last-minute change to our reservation and later stopping by our table to make sure everything was perfect. We had a lovely chat with her about how genuine hospitality can elevate an experience, and this afternoon was the perfect example of that. Fabio, our server, was also wonderful—attentive, kind, and professional throughout. Everything was perfect from start to finish. It was elegant, intimate, and deeply memorable—an afternoon that beautifully blended art, floristry, and timeless luxury. I’m so glad we chose to celebrate here.

LILY OF THE VALLEY REVIEW ONLY. Came here Saturday for their Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea in collaboration with Dior Maison. We got seated in the enclosed outdoor patio—cute decor but the area was a bit narrow and we felt a bit squished. Some chairs had a Christian Dior pillow but not all. Not really any “Dior” decor overall. My friends and I got the “Lily of the Valley” package—presentation was cute. The savory items were decent and there sweet pastries were okay. The Green Tea Nuit a Versailles was pretty good! For extra charge, they offered a selection of cake and cookies (Dior Bar Jacket cookies, Pink Cake, Madeleines)—the overall look for these items was disappointing, poorly decorated. However, service here was excellent, A+. Staff were quite friendly and helpful.

My partner stayed here for a work trip (Monday check-in, Thursday check-out). He arrived late Monday night and the toilet was already not flushing properly. Unfortunately, the problem was never resolved during his entire stay and it remained clogged. On both Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, I called maintenance for him because he was in meetings the entire day. Each time, someone came up, but by the time he returned from work in the evenings, it still wasn’t working. That means the two full days he was actually in the hotel, the toilet wasn’t functional. Maintenance had entire days to resolve the issue, yet the problem persists. It left the impression that either the plumbing here breaks down often or the staff isn’t taking the time to actually confirm that things are fixed before moving on. To be clear, this wasn’t from misuse no excess toilet paper or foreign objects were involved. It was just a basic function of the room that never worked. The location of the hotel is excellent and very convenient for work or leisure in Midtown. At this price point, and from a company as large and reputable as Hilton, especially in a flagship 4-star hotel in Midtown Manhattan, you expect the basics to be reliable. Not having a working toilet for the entire stay is unacceptable.

Room had a nice view. Staff was friendly. Room was dirty when we walked in. There were hairs in the bathtub, and sink wasn’t very clean. Restrooms and rooms along with furniture are very old! Bedsheets had some hairs and not very clean. Room was cleaned once out of 4 days so it’s not daily. They do give you a 35$ voucher for the cafe they have and 25$ for their services. Luggage hold is free if you get there early but they charge 5$ a piece if you need to check out of your room but still have time before the airport. Elevators are nice they have a system that makes it run smoother. Hotel seems very central so that’s a good thing. Lots of things around but that’s just New York. Over all because of how old rooms seems and how dirty it was 2/5. Wouldn’t stay here again .

We visit NYC at least once a year. The Hilton Midtown is well located. Hotel lobby has no sitting area for guest to rest. We waited 30 mins to check in, November 21st Friday, so prepared long waiting time. Booked a room with two beds, end up given one king and a pull out couch, the hotel is totally sold out. The front desk lady was not very friendly. She was exhausted and not very patient. I am in hospitality business, it’s understandable but not acceptable. It didn’t bother me . Management team should either train your employees better or schedule more employees to work. The hotel room is spacious for NYC, but the pull out couch is stained. I will have to call at late night to request sheets to cover it. Hotel Gym is big and well equipped. I also just read they charge $5 per luggage to store your luggage after check out which I will need this service when we check out on Monday. I travel everywhere in the world. First time see a nice hotel charging luggage storage. Hilton should know you are not Handling hostels guests. Your guests need only couple of hours to be hands free before catching their flight.

Great location. Double room with city view was very spacious. Nice gym. Helpful staff all throughout the hotel. Nice random free wine hour one evening. It’s a very large hotel. My only two complaints are: Waiting for the elevator can be very annoying in the mornings and evenings. We ended up using the alternative elevator one morning because the normal ones came by already packed. The hot water situation. In order for us to get hot water, we had to run the faucet for 5-7 mins. This was something I had never encountered in any hotel I’ve ever stayed at and was a disappointment considering this hotel is a 4-star hotel. I had to repeat this for each person in the room who planned to shower. It was also an inconvenience during a colder week to not have hot water immediately available.

I had a great experience at the New York Hilton Midtown. The location is excellent, allowing you to walk to many attractions. The hotel is well organized, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff was always polite and helpful. It’s a large property, but everything ran smoothly — fast check-in and no issues during my stay. I highly recommend it for its convenience and safety.

The hotel is basic at best. If you want the NYC experience, stay in Times Square or on the rivers. Where this hotel excels is location. It's in the heart of Midtown, convenient to Central Park and a host of subway holes to get to the rest of the city. A good home base for your stay. It's a huge hotel with a lot of rooms, so be prepared to wait to check in/out. The room (queen, city view, 27th floor) was a normal room with little amenities included, and that was an upgrade. But again, it's location, location, location. The Executive Lounge is also basic, but the staff is too notch. Super friendly and attentive. Plus it's a good place to stock up on waters and fruit before your daily excursions. Or to stop in for Happy Hour to grab a snack before a proper dinner. The gym is massive. So many bikes, treadmills, ellipticals and stations. Honestly one of the biggest gyms I have seen in a hotel.

First, the staff are all amazing and do their best in such horrible circumstances, they all deserve a raise! That being said, you should avoid this hotel until they fix their elevators and finish renovating the property and rooms. It took us an HOUR to check in, the lines were so long (and that includes the Honors line). Then, some of the elevators were down, so the lines to get up to the rooms were ANOTHER HOUR! People were lugging massive suitcases up 10-20 floors of stairs!! After finally getting to our room, it looked like it was from the 70s, and was totally in disrepair... Torn up carpet, peeling headboards. Needless to say, we immediately turned around, went back to the desk, waited another 30 minutes in line, and promptly checked out and went to another hotel. Honestly they should just close this hotel until they're done fully renovating. It is not suitable for guests. But again, the staff were all lovely and worked so hard to keep people upbeat given the difficult circumstances.

Place was good before 2022, since then has been an intake for vagrants and homeless. They sold their sole and reputation. I won’t stay here again along with the Rosevelt Hotel.

STOLE OUR MONEY. Avoid. There are plenty of accommodations in the area. We booked a room for early November with a no cancellation policy. One week before our stay, we received an email canceling our stay. "We regret to inform you that the Row nyc won’t be able to accommodate your reservation due to unforeseen issues out of the hotel’s control." They tried to transfer our reservation to the Crown Plaza. We contacted the Crown all the way up to our stay and they could not find us in their system. Row canceled our reservation and failed to properly transfer us to the Crown. One month later, they charged our card and will not refund us per their no cancellation policy. We did not cancel this stay and are out $1149.03. AVOID. 8/18/25 Update: No refund issued to date. AVOID.

CORRECTION ABOUT ROOM SIZE - SEE BELOW We had a Deluxe City View room with 2 double beds for 2 adults, 2 children (teens). . The size of the room was comfortable for NY sizes. We had room to stow our luggage (we had 2 large pieces). This room was larger than the New Yorker, where we stayed a few years back - at that hotel there was no room for luggage and we were walking over it. It was pretty tight. This room was comfortable. Good TV quality, nice view. Room was quiet. I never heard anyone above us or rarely in the hallway. Staff was very nice and the housekeeping team was very helpful and friendly. The only thing I would comment on is that I noticed that the room was not vacuumed every day. I did leave a nice note requesting that it be done and it was (we often brought pizza home and no matter how hard we tried, we made a few crumbs). Location wise, it's great if you want to be in the thick of things and by the theaters. It wasn't our first choice but our first hotel closed so we had to find an alternative. Still, a good deal and quality for the price.

Nice hotel, right around the corner from Times Square. The lobby is very nice and open. The rooms are indeed small, but not bothersome (we had the Superior room). The room is no-frills, but comfy. The bed was nice and there was a bit of storage. The bathroom is very small but it has everything you might need. Our room was clean; we didn’t have the issues some reported, but it could have used a deep cleaning in some spots, it definitely doesn’t look brand new. The elevators were fine, yes we did have to wait a few minutes but nowhere near what some report. The front desk was also fairly quick and easy, and the employees were very friendly. They were able to give us a larger bed so we had more space to sleep. It’s very close to Times Square, but it’s far enough from the crowd that it doesn’t feel too crazy right outside, although it’s still busy. If you’re looking for a hotel near Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen, I would stay here. I personally would not stay near Times Square again, but I really don’t like the touristy crowds and fanfare. Otherwise it was a good, smooth stay and the room was perfect for the long weekend.

We have never had a bad stay in NYC until this hotel. The location was great. Nearby to a lot of attractions however, that is about it for positives. Everything looked dirty, including our room that had hairs in the bathroom from previous guests. The cups to use had the lid on, which made you think they were clean but in fact they were used. It was extremely hot in our room and the thermostat did not work. We didn’t get back to the room until late because we had went to a baseball game. We called for someone to fix it but took so long I had to cancel because my young son had fallen asleep. So we “slept” in a room that read 82 degrees. I could not wait until morning so that we could pack up and check out. The front desk was less that understanding and pleasant and actually asked why I waited to complain at check out. I have spent weeks making calls and leaving messages to get a refund of a resort fee we were promised and today was told we would not be getting anything additional none of the interactions I had with representatives of this hotel were pleasant. I definitely do not recommend.

Really great location that is convenient and within walking distance to many great spots and the subways. The rooms are a bit tight but are newly renovated and kept clean. You can hear some street noise but nothing that kept us up at night. The service was quick and attentive.

This is a newly remodeled Hampton Inn and the rooms are very nice. The location is great as it is a little off Times Square, but within a 5 minute walk so you don’t get all the noise. It is still NYC and noise is still around. On the 23rd floor I still heard very loud horn honking and air horns from large trucks, but I sleep with ear plugs and they did not wake me up. The service was great and the rooms were very clean and modern. I was only here one night and wanted to see a show and the location was perfect. I would highly recommend and will stay here again when we return.

First time in NYC!!! The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Room wasn't ready because we were early but they will hold your luggage. Returned and it was still not ready. Staff immediately got us a better room. Went above and beyond. Rooms aren't huge as people reviewed. Not sure about anyone else, as to why that matters when you're on vacay. Not here to live in your room, it's NYC folks! Get out and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city! This is super central to Times Square. Very walkable, very safe feeling. Quite the value for the location. Looking forward to our return in December. I know you guys won't disappoint!😉

We have stayed all over New York in years past and let me tell you, this place is cleaner than most 5 star hotels, the service was 10 times better than the 5 star hotels(and they were nice, not snotty), and location is perfect with being just off the beaten path. A rooftop viewing area, free breakfast which was very accommodating, good size rooms, and staff that went way over and above the call of duty, even got us a car to the airport. Security was excellent, just can’t say enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay and a escape from the dirt, grim, and noise of the city, and the tub was the cherry on top!

I can't say enough good things about this wonderful gem! This is my second stay and I think I will only be booking this place everytime I come to NYC. If you are looking for an upscale place that has a big lobby, and a lounge this hotel is not for you. However, if you are looking for the following, this is the perfect fit for you: Staff: warm, friendly staff and helpful Room: comfy beds, clean room, super hot showers with great water pressure, coffee maker in room and mini fridge upon request. Lobby: 24hr hour access to tea and coffee, microwave and a mini kiosk to buy beer, drinks, snacks and essentials. Breakfast: incredible free breakfast. Waffle maker, eggs, sausage and gravy, bagels, toast, hot oatmeal, cereal, fruit, yogurt (I keep kosher and they showed me the packages of bread, waffle batter and bagels). All were kosher and I was so happy I could enjoy their breakfast Location: THE BEST LOCATION! 3-4 minute walk to the Port Authority bus terminal. 4 minute walk to Times Square. 7-8 minute walk to theatres (I saw Death Becomes Her). 10min walk to Macy's on 34th street. Literally in the center of all yhe action. Book this place. You'll love it!!

What a fantastic hotel! The front desk was so friendly. Room was clean, quiet, great view, shower was nice and hot and wonderful water pressure. The included breakfast was excellent and the staff that worked it were funny, sweet, and helpful and worked so hard the entire time I was there. I utilized the bag storage the morning of check out so I could spend more time in the city and the employee at both drop off and kick up was so pleasant and efficient. Thank you for a great stay. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit NY. The hotel was right next to a yummy pizza place and Irish pub along with being perfectly located at Times Square. Five minute walk to beautiful Bryant Park as well.

My sister & I stay here when we go to NYCC in Oct. It can seem a lil pricy to others but the couple blocks walking to Javit's Center & all the different restaurants around the hotel (plus the close parking garage) it's a steal. The rooms are nice & clean. The front desk staff are super polite & helpful. The complimentary breakfast is good. We love staying here.

We hosted our most recent Workshop at The William Vale, and we honestly could not have picked a better venue. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make the experience exceptional. Zach helped us get started with pricing and availability, and from there, Myya handled our arrangements and payments flawlessly. Kiara took care of all our bookings, including the many changes we had to make, and did it effortlessly with a smile! Madeline was on point with food and beverage setup. She helped us pick the perfect menu for our meetings as well as our Rooftop welcome reception at Westlight. The food was perfect and the presentation was even better. Chris from operations made sure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. From start to finish the entire team was amazing! They respected our budget, worked with us on every detail, and delivered a level of service that was professional, accommodating, and thoughtful. I can't say enough great things about the entire team. If you’re planning an event in Brooklyn, The William Vale should be first on your list. It is an amazing place filled with amazing people!

Just had our wedding here and everything was absolutely wonderful! Major shout out to Victoria and the whole staff for making our stay and experience 10/10. Everything went off without a hitch and they made us feel like they were actually excited and happy to host us. Rooms are great, food is amazing and the views are unreal.

Our stay here was spectacular!! The room has an amazing balcony view that was just as beautiful as the view we had at the rooftop bar. The bed was soft and delicious. The soap shampoo and conditioner is the last thing I thought I'd care about, but they smelled sooo amazing! The staff was very nice. I can't wait to come back. It was expensive but definitely worth the price.

We decided to hold our son and his new bride’s “morning after the wedding brunch” at Leuca in late September. I connected via email with Myya Martin, events manager for the William Vale, and she could not have been more kind, helpful and receptive. I couldn’t wait to meet Myya and thank her in person for making the planning and decision making so effortless. We had the main dining room to ourselves and the 50 or so guests enjoyed a delicious fare of fresh fruits, yummy pastries, yoghurt, potatoes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and an array of juice, coffee and tea. The staff was very attentive and insured there was plenty of food for everyone. It was the perfect way and place to end the wedding festivities and to say our goodbyes to family and friends. A huge thank you to Myya and staff. We appreciate your kind efforts in insuring everything went perfectly. On another note, we stay at the William Vale Hotel when in Brooklyn visiting family and we are always very pleased with Leuca for dinner, our room ( love the balcony), the amenities ( love their fluffy towels), and the view of Manhattan is hard to beat! Thank you all so much! We look forward to staying with you again and again!

Definitely Not a 5-Star Hotel – Very Disappointing We arrived to discover that the hotel didn’t have the suite we had booked and paid for. They put us in a standard room instead and offered “half price,” which was simply the normal cost of that room — not a real discount. We only received our suite the next day. This is unacceptable for any hotel, especially a 5-star. The suite itself also had issues: the electric curtains didn’t work, and maintenance “fixed” it by forcefully pulling them shut by hand, leaving gaps that let in morning light. Service was equally poor. My delivered packages were repeatedly “not found” unless I pushed them to check, and they didn’t offer basic 5-star service like sending items to the room. Even the elevators malfunctioned — one couldn’t stop at the lobby, leaving guests stuck riding up and down. We planned to stay 10 nights but left after 5. Definitely not worth the price and not a true 5-star experience.

I’ve stayed here a few times and always have a great experience. The views are absolutely amazing and the staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are spotless with great lighting, and I love that the curtains are thick enough to block out the sunlight — perfect for a mid-day nap. Always a comfortable and relaxing stay!

Our staycation in this 5-star hotel suite was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. It was definitely not worth the price or the 5-star rating. We arrived on a regular Sunday night as a family of three. Our corner suite was in terrible condition. Everything was cheaply made and selected. The blackout shades were broken, and the coffee stand was damaged. The hair dryer looked like it had been through a war. It’s hard to believe this hotel is 5 stars. There were only four elevators in total, and one of them was broken. The hotel decided to leave ALL the guests with ONE elevator, leaving the other two for their restaurant and bar on the top floor. As a result, guests had to wait 10 minutes or more to get on an elevator, and some didn’t even get in because it was always full. It was an absolute nightmare. The noise problems were also a major issue. We were on the 20th floor, and we could hear loud EDM music blasting from outside from 5 PM to 10 PM, non-stop. The only positive thing about the suite was the view. But that’s about it. If you’re looking for a great staycation experience, stay away from this hotel. Don’t be fooled by the photos and the Le Labo soaps.

Excellent place to stay during our quick weekend visit. Everyone that works there were so friendly and helpful. The check in process was easy, Hero and the other bellmen took care of our luggage while we enjoyed the day in the city. The hotel called when our room was ready. The room was clean and neat. Perfect accommodations for 3 of us. The house keeping staff were courteous. The vibe of the lobby is like a small lounge. The 2nd floor lounge turned night club is a cozy spot. Upon our early morning checkout, the taxi that was prearranged was waiting. We loved the neighborhood feel of this hotel over a larger chain. We would definitely stay again.

We just checked out of our five night trip at Freehand, and as someone who does a lot of hotel research before a trip, I want to share our honest thoughts! I’ve scrolled through a lot of recent reviews about the room being small/noisy/etc, and I think we did a few things right that led to us having a good experience: First, we booked directly through the website rather than Expedia, which is definitely the way to go. They have coupon codes too if you give them your email. Second, we booked a queen room (not the solo, which lots of people seem to have problems with). The bed maybe wasn’t the biggest queen ever but it seemed bigger than a full. We also got a room with a decent view and lots of light. I wouldn’t say it was noisy, but I did expect it to sound like NYC and being on the 9th floor probably helped. We didn’t have cold water sometimes, but we didn’t mind that too much. The space is small, but I think it’s well utilized, and I appreciated the stools/furniture/desk for what they offered. Overall I had a good experience! They also let us check in early at 11:30 which was lifesaving on that first day, and that was after they had already stored our luggage for us. I’d come again!

Not Recommended – Unpleasant Experience Overall We had a very disappointing stay. Communication was poor from the start — I contacted the hotel through both their chat and email for a special request after booking via Booking.com, but never received a reply. When I mentioned this at check-in, the front desk clerk was rude, defensive and offered no explanation. Upon arrival at 4:30 PM after a long international flight, our room was still being cleaned. When we informed the front desk, we were met with unwelcoming attitude instead of an apology. Eventually, we were given a room on the 10th floor — clean, but very small and extremely noisy. We had to use earplugs to sleep. The room had a tiny fridge, and the TV was not a smart TV (no Netflix or apps), which was disappointing for a hotel in this price range. The only positive part of our stay was the friendly cleaning lady and the helpful bellboy, Hero — they were the only staff who showed any warmth or professionalism. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. Surely, there are better options in NYC for the same or even lower price.

It's a solid choice for hotel. Really about average for NYC hotels. Yes the room is fairly small but it's really just a space to sleep. The desk chair isn't comfortable for any long sitting but it works for some evening catchups. The elevators are small but big enough and fast. Didn't visit the bars but there's so much in the neighborhood I'd still recommend the hotel. Bed was comfortable. Steamer actually worked fine. Shower was hot and sink shelf was plenty for my needs.

Frequent visitor and always stay here. Javier is so welcoming at check in, always bringing a welcome home feeling. Hero ready to help with suggestions, luggage, and transportation to the airport. Overall, the staff is always so very kind and accommodating. Location is within walking distance of Union Square, Flat Iron, and so much more! Rooms are comfortable for the purpose, experiencing the city!

10/10 Absolutely Loved My Stay at The Freehand! I stayed in a Premium King room and couldn’t have been happier with my experience. The staff was genuinely kind, attentive, and quick to help with anything I needed, which really set the tone for the whole stay. The room itself was impeccable: clean carpets, crisp fresh sheets, and a very cool bathroom that felt newly renovated. No odors, no wear and tear, just bright, fresh, and comfortable. I especially loved how much natural light the room had, which made it feel even more spacious and welcoming. The café downstairs was another highlight. Healthy, fresh breakfasts that made mornings effortless and enjoyable. The location is perfect: super walkable to Madison Square Park, multiple subway lines, and great restaurants within just a few blocks. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend The Freehand to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and well-run hotel in NYC.

Stayed in a dingy, dark and airless hotel room with grimy windows and a tiny bathroom, complete with flickering lights, broken fridge and a light-fitting hanging off the wall. We had to specifically request housekeeping for our room every day, otherwise no cleaning. Unnecessarily rude check-in staff. Had to pay a daily $40 facilities fee that was not mentioned or communicated until check out. Good location and comfortable beds, plus an ok shower. This place gives off strong hostel (not hotel) vibes.

The hotel is perfectly located in a nice, safe, and convenient area. The entire staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay pleasant. I stayed in room 1103, and overall, it was a good experience. The only downside was a strong odor near the refrigerator in one corner of the room. It wasn’t noticeable unless you were close to that area, so it didn’t affect the entire room. Since we had already unpacked, we didn’t want to go through the headache of repacking and moving to a different room, so we just dealt with it. I did let the front desk know so they can address it for future guests.

A very comfortable hotel for a reasonable price. The room was spacious, with an amazing bed, perfect pillows, and a cozy comforter - we slept wonderfully after long walks around the city. There’s a coffee machine in the room, and the tea and coffee supplies were refilled daily. Housekeeping was good. The shower gel and shampoo were very pleasant. The hotel isn’t new, and it shows in places - the bathroom door creaked loudly at night, and street noise and sirens were clearly audible. There are several cafés nearby for breakfast; we especially enjoyed the bagels just a 5-minute walk away.

The hotel is nice and the staff are really helpful. The room looks as shown, though the kitchenette was missing some clutter. I really loved that it was very quiet in terms of street noise, although you could hear other guests slamming doors. The lobby downstairs has multiple seating areas and is very comfortable. There’s a place to leave your luggage, and the attendant there is very attentive and helpful. The location is okay—it’s about a 4-block walk from the subway. The elevators can be a bit slow during rush hours since they stop on many floors.

WARNING If you want to control the temperature in your room you can't, even if you want a reasonable temp. My room had the heat mode on and never went below 72 degrees even in October. All I want is 68/69 to sleep so I asked the front desk which refused to help and said the hotel has no AC at all however the card on top the thermostat says they have an AC cool mode visible on screen which is only available in summer to "conserve" energy. After saying I can't sleep in this heat They suggested I open the windows or check out and go to another hotel and were very rude. I've lived in NYC and stayed at many hotels and never encountered such an insane policy and rude staff. Save your money and stay somewhere else for the same price with better service and higher class staff.

We had a very smooth arrival — the doorman and reception team were warm and welcoming, which set the tone nicely. We were upgraded to a deluxe room with a kitchenette, and that turned out to be a real bonus. The space was larger than most New York hotel rooms, the lighting and air-con were spot on, and the kitchenette made simple breakfasts easy. The coffee machine was a neat touch, and the fridge ran quietly, which I appreciated. The bathroom was small but very clean and well put together. Most importantly, the bedroom itself was quiet — not always a given in Manhattan — and we slept extremely well. The location is excellent: safe, convenient, and perfect for visiting family in Tudor City. Grand Central is about five minutes away, which makes getting around the city effortless. There’s also an amazing rooftop bar with great views; we’ll definitely make better use of it next time. All in all, a very comfortable and well-run hotel in a great spot. Perfect for our needs, and we’d happily return.

The Shelburne Sonesta is conveniently located, a 5-7 minute walk to Grand Central and ~20 minutes to Penn Station. The rooms have plenty of space and natural light, a huge plus in New York. The interiors are chic and modern. I will second other reviews that say that the carpeting and upholstery require a deep clean. I would also have liked an exhaust fan in the bathroom. It does get a little noisy, with the sound of cars honking clear as day, so I would recommend bringing ear plugs.

Both of our rooms had very old and outdated furniture and bathrooms, and the view was terrible for one room facing furnace. The room temperature was extremely uncomfortable 25°C with no way to lower it unless we opened the windows, which meant listening to a loud furnace all night. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not be returning to this hotel. Positive notes: The location is convenient, cozy restaurant, and the staff were very friendly.

Just stayed 5 nights here with Hilton points and it was amazing. We were here for NYC and it was an easy PATH train ride into the city. We LOVED the walk back from the Newport station to the hotel each night. It was about 5 minutes, but beautiful views and just quiet and peaceful after leaving the craziness of the city. The staff was AMAZING! From front desk to house keeping to restaurant…all of them were so helpful and kind.

Rooms are large and airy. Nice to have a separate sitting area to the bedroom. Location is great; close to the Newport Path to take you into Manhattan and well placed in Jersey City to be able to walk anywhere. Best part is the staff. The amazing staff on Reception are so welcoming, gracious and helpful. And the Housekeeping and Engineering Staff always greet you with a smile and will even call the lift for you as you are walking towards it if they are close by. Little touches that are noticeable and appreciated. Always nice to come back here. A good choice at a great price point. Only small issue is the rooms on the lower floor at the back can be disturbed by the Tram bells but it’s a minor inconvenience.

I was in the NJC area, from Raleigh, NC, to get a much-needed surgery from one of the world's best Endometriosis surgeons. This hotel was recommended by her medical office team/manager. Nicole at the bar is top notch! 👌 Cocktails 👌 Service 👌 Food & Restaurant Recommendations Housekeeping was👌 🧹 The rooms were very clean! The beds were perfectly made, the curtains beautifully pulled back, and the towels folded and displayed. 🚫 I'm very allergic to air fresheners and sprays; thankfully, they don’t fog the lobby, halls, or rooms with artificial scents or use strong smelling cleaners. The view was spectacular 😍 that I didn’t even want to share the room number with the world. I need it to be available when I want to request it again. It overlooked the Hudson and had unobstructed views of NYC/Manhattan. Our photos looked AI generated, but they weren’t altered at all. We felt blessed 🙌 to have found the perfect spot for my surgery pre-op and post-op recovery. 🥞🍔🍝The hotel food was very good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything was made fresh when ordered: French toast, chicken and waffles, burgers, wings, pastas, etc. The servers were very attentive and professional. I learned the chefs create the menu and food! The front desk crew was helpful; they went out of their way to make all kinds of accommodations for us to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Never once did I feel like I was a burden to them. Forever grateful 🙏 to the hotel’s staff and management for making our stay one less thing to worry about while going through this big and scary surgery.

This place blew me away. The overall beauty of this hotel isn't just about its location and proximity to NYC. It is mostly about the quality of service received from the staff and the quality of the rooms. Tabitha really blew me away with how she handled multiple guests' needs simultaneously with speed/efficiency, but also with care and hospitality. I've stayed at a lot of hotels and I swear she was the best receptionist I've ever seen. Blew me away.

This hotel seriously has it all — a gym, an in-house restaurant & bar, a mini market, and even an ATM! It’s right in the heart of the city, surrounded by cute shops and great restaurants, plus it’s super close to Hoboken and Newport. I stayed in their premium suite for 4 days, and it honestly felt like a cozy studio apartment. The price usually ranges between $300–$400 per night depending on when you book. The room came with a comfy sofa, a huge study table, two TVs, and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on! They have a huge parking, common washroom, water fountain and they allowed me to keep my luggage prior to check-in also front desk is very helpful. At a 5 minutes walking distance there is a Light Rail station - Harsimus Cove.

Such a great experience. If you ever have the chance to stay here , just do it. The best location , such nice rooms . The room is so clean that the carpet smells amazing . Usually I hate staying in hotels with carpets. I would say cleaning staff takes the win on this. The hotel is so clean. The door men don’t always open the door for you . And the welcome I got was just ok. Definitely the house keeping and cleaning take the win. Again the location is unbeatable. Hope to come back to this iconic place.

We recently hosted an event at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, and it was an incredible experience. The event space is absolutely stunning, especially the ballroom, which set the perfect tone for the evening. The food was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks to the beautiful setting and amazing service, we were able to raise significant funds for City of Hope. While I did not stay overnight and can’t speak to the rooms, I can say that the event services team is truly first-class. A heartfelt thank you to The Pierre for being such gracious hosts!

What a great experience! From the moment I stepped out of the car, the customer service was outstanding 10/10. The bell staff, doormen, elevator attendants. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The room was spacious and very clean. The location, right near 5th Avenue, Madison, and Central Park, great location!!! Exactly what I was looking for when I arrived in New York. I’ll definitely be back and recommended. The Jazz room was very charming and beautiful time. Their car service was also very convenient.

There's no air conditioning in the hallways or elevators. There's also an elevator attendant, so that experience will teleport you back 50 years. The attendants were friendly but pretty sure most of us can handle the assignment. Beds were comfortable so that was a positive. The location is amazing. And they did a great job thinking through the bathroom experience: lots of plush towels where they need to be, plenty of hooks and shelves. But that's all I have. The rest of it is a no. Everyone working at the front desk was aloof. I went to pick up my room key in the afternoon and they were bickering with a guest, who in all fairness was being unreasonable, but they lacked the skills to listen and deescalate. Even continued to bicker with that guest as they were helping me. So not a 5-star hotel. Maybe a 3 with comfortable beds.

Aside from the service being impeccable at this establishment, the rooms are huge. Very rare for a New York City hotel to have such grand rooms. Also, the room service was incredible. Our food was delicious and brought up in a very timely manner 10 out of 10.

I wanted to love it here but I can’t get over the smell in our room. It smells so old and like an elderly person’s home. Not pleasant. The amenities are run down. The paint is peeling off the walls in the bathroom. The carpet seems old and dirty in the corners. I’m just not impressed and wish we went somewhere different. The location is great but there are better options.

Absolutely immaculate hotel. Brittney and the team at reception did everything possible to make our stay special. The service is excellent and so thoughtful. If you are staying in NYC, there is no better choice than the Pierre, I would give it 100 stars if I could. Thank you for making our family trip so special!

We stayed at Radio City Apartments for 7 days and were overall satisfied with our experience. The biggest advantage is the unbeatable location – right in the center of Manhattan, just minutes from Times Square, Broadway, and many subway lines. It’s the perfect base for exploring the city. The building and rooms are a bit dated and show signs of wear, but there’s a certain charm to the place that makes up for it. It feels more like an old New York apartment than a standard hotel room, which adds character. Our room was clean and functional, with a small kitchenette that was very practical. Staff were polite and helpful, check-in and check-out were efficient. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for the price and location, it’s a good deal. If you’re looking for something affordable, central, and with a bit of old-school NYC atmosphere, this is a solid choice.

Clean, safe and had everything we needed for a very reasonable price in manhattan. It wasn’t fancy but was great for what we wanted and for the price. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a fridge, safe and mini kitchen, Location was central so wasn’t quiet but that’s Times Square! Close to everything we wanted and lots of subway options. I’d definitely consider staying again if I go back to manhattan.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in early October and had a two-bedroom suite. I was pleasantly surprised — it turned out to be an excellent choice, especially for families, and a great value compared to New York prices. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-lit. The apartment is well-equipped and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and they even provided a sheet listing all nearby services and amenities. The location is also very convenient — close to several subway lines and two great bakeries on Sixth Avenue. Overall, a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely be back!

Highly recommended apartment. Old building but well maintained. I worked with Tina for reservations and she was fantastic. I reserved a queen size room and was pleasantly surprised that it included a kitchen area with a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave oven and coffee maker. Friendly staff. Incredible location in Times Square. I like the apartment so much that I’m going to stay here again in two months. Be aware that the elevator is slow, but that is a minor inconvenience for an older facility.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in October 2025. The rooms are impecibaly clean and well equipped. The rooms are also very decent sized for New York. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and they even accomodated a check in several hours early for us which was greatly appreciated as we took a red eye to New York. The hotel could not be in a better location. Half a block from times square and subway and with many things to do walkable from the hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or stay here again in the future.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our first time in NYC. We stayed in a double queen room with three adults for six days. The location right off Time Square was perfect for coming back after an evening show. The staff was incredible and kind. They truly care about their jobs. The entire building was clean and well kept. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was it is a little bit outdated.

Five stars in name only. Service and cleanliness are far from exceptional, unlike other Park Hyatt properties. As a Hyatt Globalist, I’ve had positive experiences globally, but this property consistently disappointed. Upon arrival, our arrival gift was a dirty bowl of fruit well past its prime. Our room was $3,000 a night and we were there for seven nights. Our rooms were neglected. Previous guests’ bodily fluid residues were on the bathroom walls, dust and pubic hair were beneath the vanity, and there were crusty smudges throughout the room. The furniture and carpets were stained and tattered. Front desk and valet service was nonexistent. We often couldn’t get help with luggage, hail cabs, or other needs. The check-in process was inefficient. There were no other guests checking in or out at the time. The breakfast was mediocre, and the servers were surly and unhelpful. We were often seated at a table that had been used and left uncleaned. I raised these concerns with management, but they didn’t address them promptly. It took two days to remove a mysterious substance from the water closet wall. They tried to compensate with discounts, which I don’t care about. I prioritize a clean room over and good service over anything else. On the final day, we used the emergency exit due to an elevator failure. We found equipment stored in the stair landings, blocking the emergency exit. I alerted management, but the obstructions remained. This property doesn’t meet Park Hyatt standards. It should be reclassified as a lower brand to accurately convey the quality of amenities to guests. Avoid staying here if you expect exceptional five-star service.

Lives up to reputation. Very nice bathroom..deep soaking tub, heated floors, heated Toto toilet with bidet. TV in bathroom mirror. Pool and gym are nice, not great views. Service was good. I liked that they brought DoorDash straight to my door. Restaraunt gave me crab cakes for free as it was a little delayed.

We stayed at the Park Hyatt New York for a quick two-night baby-moon getaway, and from the very beginning the service was exceptional. As Discoverist members, we didn’t receive a major upgrade, but we were kindly moved up one room category — and the room was beautiful, spacious (especially for New York), and thoughtfully prepared. Before our arrival, the team asked about our preferences — what we enjoy eating or drinking, as well as any dietary restrictions. When we arrived, our room was complemented with sparkling water, fresh fruit, a dessert, and a sweet gift for our upcoming baby. It made everything feel incredibly personal and welcoming. I had requested a maternity pillow, and the one they provided was honestly better than the one I use at home. I loved it so much I’m trying to purchase the same style. Throughout our stay, the staff was consistently attentive. Whenever we needed amenities, they arrived within minutes — absolutely no long waits. Late checkout was granted instantly until 2 PM, which was so helpful. A moment that really stood out was after checkout, when I realized I had left my Tiffany ring in the room. The staff located it within three minutes and had it ready for me to pick up later that evening before my flight. Their honesty and efficiency were incredible. The doormen were also wonderful — friendly, attentive, and always quick with taxis. I didn’t get the chance to use their help with restaurant reservations (New York can be hectic!), but I have a strong feeling they’re excellent with that as well. There are countless hotel options in New York, but the level of service here truly made our experience so positive that we’re already looking forward to returning. The staff made everything effortless, and that alone sets this hotel apart.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel on August 26 to celebrate our wedding. We specifically chose this property with the expectation that a five-star establishment would provide exceptional service and attention to detail, particularly for such a meaningful occasion. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of that standard. When we arrived, my wife was still wearing her wedding dress, making it unmistakably clear that we were just married. Yet, the front desk associate did not acknowledge our occasion in any way—not even a simple “congratulations.” Instead, we were handed our key cards without warmth or courtesy and directed to the elevator. For what was meant to be the start of our married life together, the absence of recognition or thoughtfulness was deeply disappointing. The room itself was standard and lacked any of the thoughtful touches one might reasonably expect at a five-star property, especially when welcoming newlyweds. There was no note, no amenity, no personal gesture—nothing to make the experience feel celebratory or memorable. Equally concerning, staff interactions throughout our stay were impersonal and inattentive. We were rarely greeted by staff in passing, and when we placed a simple call to the front desk, we were left on hold for an extended time before receiving assistance. Taken together, these details conveyed a lack of care and hospitality wholly inconsistent with a luxury hotel. We chose this property with the hope of creating a lasting and joyful memory of our wedding night. Instead, we left disappointed, feeling as though our special day carried no significance to the hotel. A five-star rating should signify consistent excellence and genuine hospitality; unfortunately, neither was evident in our experience. For couples or guests looking for a property that values and enhances special occasions, I cannot recommend this hotel.

The Verdict: This is definitely a perfect vacation place. The room size alone makes it a standout in Manhattan—even the regular rooms are huge. Highly recommend for the space and luxury. ​Service & The "Sleep Suite" Upgrade: The check-in process had a rocky start; we weren't able to get into our room until around 6 PM, which is a bit off for the service expectation at this price point (likely due to weekend staffing). ​The Recovery: However, the staff owned the mistake. Because of the delay, they upgraded my Globalist status reservation beyond the standard suite to a Sleep Suite and offered extra dining credit. I appreciated that they made it right. ​Room Condition: The suite was fantastic. The only oddity was finding a clothes cover left on top of the closet that was quite dusty. I didn't touch it, but I informed the front desk upon departure so they could handle it. Otherwise, the room was pristine. ​Food & Globalist Benefits: The food was awesome. ​Breakfast: As a Globalist, you get one entree, a hot drink, and a cold drink per person. A massive perk is that you can order this via Room Service during breakfast hours—perfect for a lazy morning. ​Amenity Tip: Make sure to ask for the Le Labo sampler on Madison & 65 th st; it's a great little luxury touch. ​Overall: Despite the wait, the service recovery and the quality of the room and food make this a top recommendation.

Besides the prime location of this hotel, everything else was disappointing considering this hotel is rated 5 stars. The staff could use retraining in hospitality as no one greeted us at the entrance, the doorman was missing in action, and the front desk associates in the lobby were rude. We had simply asked for more pillows one night, waited almost an hour and called to ask if they were going to be delivered and was yelled at! The front desk associate was arguing with my husband over the phone! Completely unacceptable. She basically suggested we come down and get the pillows ourselves as they’re on stand by for us… There are also random stains all over the room on the tile and so many stains (or dirt?) on the entire bedroom rug… We had stayed at two other hotels prior to this and the level of service was a night and day difference. Save your money and/or points. This hotel is not worth it.

This is a 5 star hotel with 4 star service. The hotel itself is gorgeous and clean and in a perfect location. The service is only above average - people not working the door, screwed up room service, didn’t clean the room when asked. It’s a lot of money to spend for average service.

We had the most incredible wedding at The Rockaway Hotel! Our rooftop ceremony was absolutely stunning, followed by a beautiful cocktail hour on the Sun Deck, a perfect reception in the Harbor Room, and an amazing rooftop after-party. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish. I loved that the hotel had everything we needed — a place for our guests to stay and multiple spaces that gave each part of our event its own unique feel. On top of that, we received countless compliments on the food throughout the night — everything was truly delicious! My husband has a severe dairy allergy, and the chef and staff went above and beyond to make sure he was fully accommodated. They were extremely careful about cross-contamination and made sure he was well fed with safe and delicious options, which gave us such peace of mind. There isn’t a single thing we would change. Our Maître D’, Jay, was phenomenal and ensured every detail was taken care of. Maura, Margo, and Erika and all the staff were also incredible to work with throughout the planning process and on the big day. We are so grateful to the entire team for making our wedding better than we ever imagined!

From the moment I booked my wedding at the rockaway hotel the entire team made the experience absolutely perfect! Everyone on the staff welcomed us and answered every question we had and made me feel so special as a bride. Every space at the hotel is beautiful and the food/drinks are phenomenal both in the restaurant and at our 150 person wedding. My stay at The Rockaway Hotel – Queens, NY From the moment I arrived, the customer service at The Rockaway Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. The rooms were immaculate—clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Every area of the hotel reflected the same standard of cleanliness and care. What really stood out was the thoughtful welcome gesture: a glass of champagne upon arrival (and apple cider for non-drinkers). Amazing ocean views and thoughtful touches 🌊 We stayed in one of the ocean-view suites, and waking up to blue skies and the open sea was such a treat! We were initially worried the hotel might be far from the beach, but it actually felt very close and convenient. The heated pool was lovely and relaxing, and we appreciated the free morning coffee and offered gym classes — such a nice touch of hospitality. The only downside was that the sauna never got hot enough to use during our 3-day stay. We were working remotely during our visit, and unfortunately, the rooms don’t have desks. There also weren’t many tables or chairs available elsewhere, except when the rooftop restaurant was open. If there had been a proper work area, we honestly would’ve booked for the entire month. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at The Rockaway and would recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful ocean escape. 🌤️

Nice hotel...heated pools with sea salt water which is very good. The rooms are nice no iron if you need to take the wrinkles out your clothes...Cafe smoothies was watery however the burger at Maggie's ( i believe the name was) was ok. Do not look to use any membership benefits if you did not book through the hotel. The staff is nice the guy who's in charge of the pool area Tom was very welcoming as well.

This is the place hotels clean very nicely appointed rooms are small but very nice and the Restaurant Marjorie's is wonderful as well as the Bar. This was my first time actually staying overnight at The Rockaway Hotel & Spa after previously only visiting for a day pass at the pool — and wow, what an incredible experience! My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Margie’s, and I highly recommend the half rack Australian lamb chops — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The pool vibe is always top-tier, with staff who are both accommodating and genuinely welcoming to ensure every guest has a great time. I’ve interacted with Tom numerous times, and he consistently goes above and beyond to create an amazing experience. A special thank you to General Manager Darren, who is always attentive, professional, and makes a point to interact warmly with every single guest. The Rockaway Hotel & Spa is a true NYC gem. I highly encourage more people to experience all the incredible amenities it offers — it’s a perfect mix of relaxation, great food, and first-class hospitality.

Stayed here for a special birthday! It was a lovely stay, they brought birthday cake which was very nice. The front desk and all staff (especially Eddie the bell person) were really warm and kind. Truthfully, we did experience some cleanliness issues and found hair from previous guests in several places in the bathroom. The suite was great. Overall, I prefer the service of the Four Seasons Downtown hotel as they truly go out of their way to delight guests with treats, champagne and fresh flowers and the staff try to get to know guests more than at this location. The hotel manager Yogesh shared below that he reached out to me and personally resolved the issue and that never happened. It has been 2 weeks and I never heard from him. I will not be returning to this location for a stay.

Absolutely disgraceful. I came in months ago but I was only taught how to leave reviews so I am reviewing all of my previous hotels I have visited. The second day I had come in, I went to go straight to my room but was stopped by a young man, about early 30's, and to get this review over and done with-- he accused me of trying to sleep in a room without paying for it which is understandable, until he had mentioned that I didn't look like I could afford it.

This is unequivocally the finest establishment I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Any request is promptly fulfilled, and any dissatisfaction is immediately addressed. I went to the Four Seasons New York this weekend for the first time since their renovations, and honestly, I’m shocked by how unprofessional one of the staff members was. Most of the team was polite, but the cleaning lady in the women’s restroom (Asian woman) was unbelievably rude and disrespectful. I had placed my bag on the sink for a moment, and she stormed over huffing and puffing, asking, “Is this yours?” in the most attitude-filled tone. When I said yes, she snatched it up and threw it on the table next to me. My friend and I were just sitting quietly using our phones when she stood over us with this hostile energy, saying we weren’t “allowed” to be on our phones in the bathroom — as if we were doing something wrong. I couldn’t believe I was being spoken to like that in a Four Seasons, of all places. I’ve stayed at Four Seasons properties around the world, and this woman’s behavior was completely out of line and embarrassing for the brand. It makes you question how management could allow someone like that to represent their hotel after spending millions on renovations. The property may look beautiful, but if that’s the kind of staff they’re hiring, it ruins the entire experience.

Didn't stay at this property but dropped in for coffee. Glad they've reopened (and happy to see both the Canadian and American flags waving proudly above the front entrance :) Lovely, elegant touches everywhere and great 4S service.

We stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of July and beginning of August and would do it again and again! The staff at reception were incredibly helpful and nice, the rooms had a fantastic view of the city, were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was solid and delicious. On the day of our check-out, our luggage was safely stored so that we could relax for the rest of the day in the city until our departure. Thank you dear Hyatt team! We had a fantastic 6 night stay at Hyatt House! All the staff - from check in to breakfast to ones you pass in the loft are all incredibly lovely and friendly. Morning is ever too much trouble. We had a room with a kitchen and it was well designed providing extra room, bench space and a large bathroom. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and it’s great to be able to open a window for fresh air too. It also has AMAZING views down 6th Ave and of Empire State Building. The gym on the roof has even better views and there’s an open terrace up there too with seating to enjoy the cityscape. The complimentary breakfast is great too. Yes it’s basic but changes each day and it’s all fresh and hot. It was the perfect start to each day. Location is very close to everything and a great area and they have a guest coin laundry. Finally, Yes the lifts are slow but if you plan a few minutes wait then there’s really no issue. I would highly recommend Hyatt House New York/Chelsea, especially for families.

From a personal experience, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. One of the worst experiences in staying in a hotel. To be fair, the rooms are fine. Clean & well maintained. As a frequent traveler around the world, & a person who's involved in traveling business, I can honestly say this hotel has big issues with its staff. From the arrival moment ( after almost 14 flight) I faced unfriendly receptionist. Me & my friend stayed few nights then our travel agency extended our stay & just like the previous stay, room charges were paid. However, when I gave my card to the unprofessional receptionist to block an amount for the incidentals, she charged my card the room charges ( almost $ 3,300) without bothering to check her system. I told her rooms have been paid for, but she wouldn't listen. She insisted she was right. After 2 days of communication between the hotel and my travel agency the hotel admits the mistake without apologizing. They didn't release the block on my money till I checked out. During that time I asked to talk to the manager, they called her, but she never answered. I left my cell number to call me, but she never did. Definitely unprofessional staff.

Our stay at this hotel was very satisfying for our family. The proximity to Korea town was convenient, the staff was friendly, and the room condition was excellent. This was our second visit - we first stayed in March and returned in May because our first stay was so satisfying. The rooms are smaller than other Hyatt House properties, but we understand this is New York. The main challenge is that the hotel is very popular, making it difficult for a family of four to book a room with a kitchen. For some reason, housekeeping service wasn't provided on one day during our 5-night stay, but they quickly responded to our towel replacement request, so we had no complaints. The breakfast area gets very busy in the morning hours, but the staff working there are very kind and professional. If we visit New York again, we would definitely consider staying here again. Rooms are good and quiet so if that's all you're concerned with this place is perfectly fine. Breakfast is free but leaves a lot to be desired in terms of quality and options. There's a rooftop with a decent view but only one 4 top table...why aren't there more seats? No lobby lounge, coffee shop, or bar so there's nowhere to hang out.

Stayed this past weekend in two rooms with my family of five and the experience was wonderful across the board. We got in early and checked our bags .... when we returned the bags were in our room waiting. That was the theme for the weekend, the service was fantastic. The ladies at the front desk Friday-Sunday were fantastic and very helpful/funny. We can't wait to come back.

I accidentally left my suitcase on the street today, and the front desk man here went above and beyond to help me track it down and make sure it was safely returned. Stayed in a lovely one bedroom suite, quite spacious and with a view to die for in NYC, even if it is to New Jersey! Service was very friendly but did not eat in any of the restaurants. The hotel is walkable to so many restaurants in the area and subways are easily accessible.

We had a fairly decent stay at The Dominick, though overall a bit lackluster for a 5-star at the price we paid per night. I will say right at the top of this that the staff was fantastic; everyone at the front desk, front door and support staff were lovely. Alex in engineering came to fix our very loud A/C within 30 minutes or so of us mentioning the issue to the front desk, and was incredibly kind and efficient with the repair. Stan at the front door was also super nice and informative about the hotel and nearby spots. Unfortunately that is where the positive ends for the stay, aside from the location and the view, both of which were fantastic. The rooms were a bit below expectation for a 5-star. The bathroom was updated nicely and spacious, but the shower was a bit cramped and the toilet was right next to the shower; the bathroom had no door so lacked a bit of privacy. The A/C in the room was rattling so loudly we had to have the front desk call engineering to fix it, and even then was still quite loud. The bed was oddly too soft, I feel like we usually run into very hard beds; We like a soft bed, but this was a bit excessive. Also, the room darkening shades were not nearly enough so; we were East facing and had a fully bright room by 7AM, which is definitely not ideal for a vacation. There were a few stains on the rug and the room itself wasn't old but not exactly new either. I also read (prior to our trip) that the "value" of the hotel was not great, and I would definitely say I have to agree with that. The food that we had was sub-par, and the restaurants that we did not personally go to had below average reviews. Everything was very expensive for the below average quality, even considering it's a 5-star hotel. The pool was a nice touch, but very small and not deep at all; more of a lounging pool. Also, it was still only late spring and the pool was quite busy and the chairs around it usually full. I can't imagine how busy that would be peak summer. There was also a mandatory Destination Fee per night and valet parking fee (which is fine, but not at that price). Overall I wouldn't say we wouldn't go back, but I would certainly look at other options first.

Having experienced three previous stays at The Dominick, I was excited to return for a fourth time for a weekend trip. However, soon after arriving, my excitement dwindled when I was checked into a room on the 19th floor with absolutely no view (looked directly into an office building across the street) and was directly next to the elevators. When booking the room, I specifically requested a room on a higher room with a view. For two nights, I tried to sleep while I heard loud noises and vibrations from the elevator cables. Additionally, the carpets looked old and run down and the decor in the room is quite outdated. Finally, I advise everyone to review their bill carefully! On the final night of my stay, I discovered a $52 minibar charge on my folio, despite never taking one item from the minibar. While the manager removed this charge after calling to complain, I was never given a clear answer as to how the charge got there in the first place. Next time I come to NYC, I can say for certain that I won’t be at The Dominick.

Meh. Very expensive and not upscale or a 5 star hotel by any means. Lobby looks nice but the rooms are straight outta the 80s. The restaurant downstairs and bar is nice but the bar on 7th is an embarrassment to any hotel that claims to be upscale, looks like a trucker bar meets youth club with very limited selections. Room service and prices will make your eyes water, as you are gouged for a diet coke. Really could be better, staff are nice but doesn't make up for a very sub standard offer.

check in was great and they got us in early. The room was good space and well appointed, as was the bathroom. I do wish there were irons in the room. The $40 service fee is a bit much on an already high price for what it offers. the pool area is nice but small. I was very disappointed in the bar at the pool. There is limited wine and the wine offered was HORRIBLE. The main bar had good wine so there is no reason that one could not get a good glass on the rooftop. Overall it is nice, but for the price it does not beg me to go back.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Impeccable service, friendly staff and an unbeatable location. I was fortunate enough to be granted early check in (which i didn't even ask for) and the room was beautifully laid out with an impressive view of Manhattan (see below pic). The bathroom is also immaculate. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. I will definitely stay here again if I return to NY.

Great Hotel. Great location. Gabrielle at the front desk was so nice and she was so accommodating. Doormen were amazing. They really went above and beyond to make sure your every need was looked after. Merrick was wonderful! Rooms were excellent and clean. Turn down service was great they gave water bottles and fancy chocolates every night. Staff made you feel like you were a VIP. Highly recommend this hotel. 💕😊. My experience at the Concorde Hotel was excellent. From the beginning of the check-in process, I felt well taken care of. The front staff members and the receptionist Sheri were polite, professional, and provided wonderful service. The room was accommodating for our stay and the lounge on the 3rd floor was magnificent. They provided comfortable seating and a coffee ☕️ espresso machine that was indescribable. I had the pleasure of having several cups 🥤 of delicious cappuccino. The housekeeping service was excellent and provided us with enough towels and amenities. The check-out process was also quick and seamless. I would recommend the Concorde Hotel New York.

If there was a 3 1/2 Choice for the overall review I would have used it. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location in Midtown made it easy to get around. The area felt safe and enjoyable to walk in, which was a big plus. That said, a couple of things kept the stay from being as good as it could have been. For a hotel with a resort-fee, I was surprised there wasn’t bottled water in the room, which most hotels at this level provide. More importantly, the air fresheners used in the lobby and hallways were overwhelming. The strong, perfume-like scent carried into the guest floors and even clung to my clothes and luggage after leaving. If you’re sensitive to fragrances, I’d recommend checking this before booking. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and Airbnbs, and this is one of the few times the air treatment actually took away from the experience. Simply turning off the heavy air sprays and using air purifiers instead would make a huge difference.

We spent several nights at the Concorde Hotel and overall we were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is extremely clean, well maintained, and housekeeping kept everything in perfect order every day. The bellman was kind and helpful, and the front desk staff were professional and polite. We also appreciated the convenience of having our Amazon packages delivered directly to the hotel without any issues. The location is very good and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. However, the main disappointment was the experience with the hotel’s restaurant/bar. One evening we wanted to relax with our 6-year-old, play a card game in the lobby extension, and use the two complimentary wine vouchers we had received. As soon as the staff realized we would only be using the vouchers and not ordering food, they openly criticized us among themselves. This was extremely unprofessional, made us feel uncomfortable, and we ended up leaving. On another occasion, my wife and child went for breakfast and asked to put the bill on the room to pay at checkout. The waitress reacted with visible irritation, refused, and insisted that the bill be paid immediately, which caused unnecessary embarrassment. Overall, the hotel itself is excellent, clean, and comfortable, but the restaurant service really lets it down. For a hotel at this price point, and especially one that does not include breakfast, the guest experience should be consistent across all services. If the management improves the bar and restaurant service, this hotel could easily be outstanding.

I just stayed here this past weekend and it was truly lovely! I told the staff I felt as if it were a European hotel, since it has a very different vibe. And it was explained to me that it once was owned by British Airways and the current owners have maintained its elegance. It is a boutique hotel, so I had to laugh when I saw a review mentioned the small elevators. We had seven people in the elevator, not "European small" in my view. Someone really knows how to hire the right people and train their staff, because they were excellent! Sandy at the front desk, along with all the receptionists were more than helpful. And Syed, literally went running down the street and around the corner to find me a cab. Even the maintenance man in the elevator was welcoming, as was every housekeeper that I met. My room (3501) was beautiful and the view was spectacular. The bed was large and comfortable. I appreciate a good mattress! It was quiet, spotlessly clean, and everything was in working order. True, it's not cheap, and in my opinion, was worth every penny.

A refundable security deposit of $200 per person is required, but if you have a MasterCard, you can take advantage of a special offer to pay just $100 per person, which is refunded at the end of your stay. For added convenience, each room comes equipped with a coffee machine and two disposable cups daily, so you can enjoy your favorite beverages without having to visit the coffee bar downstairs. On the 3rd floor, there’s a dedicated workspace where you can print documents, use a computer, or simply relax with coffee, tea, or water. It’s a perfect spot for a break or to catch up on work. Gym is also available. If a restful night’s sleep and great hospitality are important to you, Hotel Concorde is definitely the place to book. Highly recommended! The most comfy mattress for a relaxed sleep after long walks in NYC. A STAY HERE IS A MUST IF YOU'RE PLANNING TO VISIT NYC.

The hotel has a great location. We had the Deluxe Bedroom Suite and it's spacious, but quite simple in design and decorations. We were on the 12th floor and we didn't have much of a view even though it's promoted as having a city view. Also, the noise is quite bad from both outside and inside the hotel. You need to come prepared with earplugs if you want to get decent sleep. For $400 the hotel is quite basic given it charges a resort fee. You don't get much if anything for that fee. Also, on the checkout day the cleaning lady knocked on the door asking when we'll leave twice before the check-out time. That's unprofessional and shows the lack of customer attention in the hotel. It feels more like a serviced apartment building rather than a hotel. We've stayed at Lotte a few blocks away before and if we were to choose again we'd go back to Lotte for pretty much the same price.

Good Hotel, but rooms are very small. Would highly recommend staying with a city view otherwise you can wash your hands from the bed. Very crammed ! Only two elevators so give extra time leaving the hotel during busy times. Staff and lobby are professional and caring.

Love this iconic place. Everything was pristine and beautiful! The staff was always very helpful and friendly. The room was amazingly clean and the daily service was the best we have had. Definitely an amazing and special place right in the heart of the city and across from Central Park! Recommend absolutely!!!

After a disappointing experience at a nearby Hilton, walking into The Sherry-Netherland felt like a complete reset. From Jackie, who took my reservation with such kindness, to Jason, who works the front door and mans the elevators — every interaction was warm, thoughtful, and genuine. When I arrived, I was greeted by a handwritten note from hotel operations and fresh flowers in my room — such a charming touch that instantly made me feel cared for. This team doesn’t just provide service — they create moments that stay with you. Other hotels should take note: this is what hospitality is all about. I’ll absolutely be back! 🌸✨🏙️

This is my first review as we have not stayed there yet, but we have an upcoming reservation for seven of us to celebrate my 60th birthday in Dec. I called to speak to someone in reservations and got Mariana, a lovely young lady who couldn't have been more sweet, attentive and helpful. She took the time to give me lots of information about the various types of rooms that will be available during our stay, and she was in every way very helpful and accomodating. With employees like Mariana, I am confident our stay will be a very enjoyable experience!

The Sherry-Netherland is in a perfect location for accessing the park and everything midtown. The beds are very comfortable and the showers have amazing pressure which is welcome for NYC. The staff is also quite attentive and very helpful. The rooms were clean whilst still having an old world charm to them. Would highly recommend for someone looking for a great spot in midtown NYC.

If you want to wake up loud hammering and drilling noises - and be startled by a construction worker right outside your window - this is the hotel for you! You can also expect a front desk that lacks the common decency to notify you that there would be construction, let alone make any proactive attempt to make the situation right. (Shoutout to Joanne!) This establishment that has clearly stopped making any effort at any kind of luxury experience. Save your money, save your sleep, and save yourself the experience of paying a small fortune to be treated like an inconvenience in your own hotel room. I checked out and went to The Pierre one block away, and was relieved to find a hotel that actually treats its guests like guests. Good riddance - I’m never coming back. P.S The icing on the cake was the “handwritten letter” they leave in your room - that is actually a picture of a stock letter they’ve poorly scanned and reprinted on a card - in an effort to fool you into thinking they actually put that level of care into welcoming guests.

A stylish hotel opposite central park making it a perfect location. The decor is old wordly glamour, beautiful large bedrooms with personalised touches that were spotlessly clean. An array of complimentary soft drinks, turn down service with chocolates and a big smile. My only slight grumble was the reception desk staff that seemed quite miserable and just going through their paces. No genuine smiles or enthusiasm apart from one gentleman who was charming and really engaging and had worked at the SN for 40 years. I'm glad I stayed here though and had a blast!!!
