Spanish restaurant
Cocktail bar
Toro, a small and stylish spot in Boston, is renowned for its celebrated tapas, cocktails, and Spanish wines. Chef Ken Oringer has created a menu that goes beyond traditional Spanish tapas with innovative dishes like Maiz Asado and Uni Bocadillo. The bar program offers unique experiences such as the porron and frosty cocktails like Frezcal. Toro's lively atmosphere makes it a favorite party destination in the city.
Hadn’t visited here in years but the kitchen is just as amazing as it was a decade ago. We ordered half the menu and everything was delicious. Portions were a bit on the small side. The highlight for us was definitely the foie gras tapas dish. Came with a tiny biscuit and some jam, made for an amazing bite - don’t try to share it!

I had an amazing experience at Toro, but the bone marrow stole the show. Rich, buttery, and perfectly roasted—it melted on the toasted bread like velvet. If you go, don’t leave without trying it. Absolutely unforgettable.

One of the few places we got a day of reservation! Stopped in for Sunday dinner. My friend said it was her favorite sangria. 🍷The food was all delicious ! Loved being able to cut the octopus ourselves + it was so tender. The crab croquettes were good. The patatas bravas sauce was amazing - some kind of nutty squash flavor? The wings were well seasoned as well

I couldn't wait till tomorrow to do this review. I haven't been to Toro in a while because of traveling, work, etc.. but let me tell you that I have been missing out on all there new addition. For starters, they have this Barata salad with Peaches and cucumber in a beautiful vinaigrette. There Tuna tartar, the crab meat Croquette and the list goes on. I don't want to make this review to long but I want to thank Jonathan for the Beautiful jester towards the end of the night you are a sweetheart. I kept telling him how delicious the salad and everything was and of course to give the chef my compliments. I also want to give a special thank you to Luis and the rest of the staff for always treating us like family . Toro will always hold A special place in my heart. I'll see you guy soon. And please go try them out you won't Regret the decision. Thank me later :-)

Great food and impeccable service! Our waitress (so sorry I can’t remember her name!) was amazing, gave us a heads up on portion sizes for each dish which was very helpful. Our water glasses were always being refilled, which is something I super appreciate! The fantastic service here really made our experience special. The highlights of our meal were the patatas bravas, costillos (ribs), and the maíz asado (corn). We loved the patatas and costillos so much we had to get another round! Next time we think we’d skip the datiles con jamon (dates) and the empanada because the portion sizes were just too small to justify for a group of 4. The filete a la plantxa (hanger steak) also fell a little flat for us, as it was a little tough and a bit bland. The sangria was also a bit watered down so I think we’d skip that next time time. Overall, great experience and will be excited to return!

Toro is a consistent spot to try interesting tapas and enjoy their great selection of wine. They recently added pintxos to their menu - we tried the shishito and chorizo. Their crab croquetas were delicious with a special fried lemon rind on top. Front patio is dog friendly too!

The last time we dined at Toro was a a couple of years ago as It used to be our go to dating restuarant when we are in Boston. Fast forward to 2025, we finally decide to return to Toro in June and had our family dinner as a group of 7 (5adults + 2 kids). Yes we decided to bring two young kids along! Atmosphere: 5 Star, while the vibe is not baby friendly (loud music) it is definitely Small and cosy! Our 3year old was fine with it! Food: 5 Star, hit the right flavour, food remains the same and no complain! Service: 5 Star for our waiter who was awesome, very attentive as he had gotten our orders correct (especially special request for our younger kids). The reason why a 4 star was given was due to an incorrect arrangement of the table. We had specifically requested for a regular seating table during our reservation (to accommodate to our 2 young children) which Toro had confirmed, but when we arrived, a high top table was assigned. What was more disappointing was, that was the only table available as all other tables are arranged for other reservation. While the staff did admit it’s their mistake, there’s really nothing much they could do. To be honest, that didn’t really start well! Overall I would say the experience is a 4* balancing the mishap and excellent food and atmosphere! For parents who are wondering if Toro is child friendly, apart from the loud music, there’s baby high chair, baby changing area (in the female toilet), menu included beef sliders and corn off the corb, and plastic cup for kids! We’ve tried it and yes it is!

Toro Boston is basically Spain’s love letter to my taste buds 💌. 🦪 **Ostra (Oyster)** – Slurped it, felt classy, instantly became a better person. 🥔 **Patatas Bravas** – Little spicy potato pillows of happiness. 10/10 would risk burning my tongue again. 🌽 **Maíz Asado** – The corn was so good I almost proposed to it. Charred, cheesy, and life-changing. 🦆 **Hígado a la Planxa (Foie Gras)** – So rich it should come with a trust fund. 🦴 **Asado de Huesos (Bone Marrow)** – Basically buttery beef candles for my bread. 🍔 **Hamburguesas** – Tiny burger, huge flavor. Like if a slider went to culinary school. 🥩 **Filete a la Planxa** – Hanger steak so tender it practically apologized for being cut. Verdict: Toro isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a personality test. You either leave stuffed and happy… or you did it wrong.

Seafood restaurant
Oyster bar restaurant
Restaurant
Neptune Oyster is a small, upscale oyster bar located in Boston's North End, just a short distance from the water. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh seafood options, including oysters, lobster rolls, octopus, scallops, and sea urchins. With only 22 chairs and additional seating at the long marble bar, patrons can watch skilled oyster shuckers prepare over a dozen different types of bivalves.
This was my second time at Neptune Oyster since I’ve been visiting Boston for the last few years. You have to wait outside till the server sees you. This place is small but completely packed. They only have enough spots for maybe 50 people to eat. Probably one of the best Lobster Rolls in my life. The servers and staff were very nice, we ordered 3 lobster rolls and some oysters. Absolutely a great time. It’s loud in there new use it is such a small spot. If you are looking for a local spot that’s got great atmosphere and food this is the spot for you. Take time to enjoy the city and the local spots.
Patrick K — Google review
It is a legendary eatery in Boston, and the food and ambiance clearly show how it rose to the title. The oysters are definitely a must, they have got an extensive ordering sheet complete with the flavour profiles of each oyster which they selected and shucked to perfection. Also don’t forget to get the giant clams that were juicy and tasty. I really liked all the other food too, they have a daily special that changes all the time and whilst we were here we had the clams pasta which was just delicious. Don’t be afraid of the crowd, you are in for a treat.
Farid H — Google review
The line for Neptune is literally all-day, but most def worth the wait! Smaller parties of two or less are more likely seated faster and sooner and with other small parties, which we didn't mind at all. Oh yeah, we were a party of ✌️. There was a party of eight in front of us and by the time we finished eating they were still waiting. It's a small spot AND had excellent service and food was great! We had a late lunch/snack before dinner and the portions were great. We finished everything. I think I'm used to the lobster in the roll being more buttery, but it was still good. My bf doesn't really like seafood much, but he loved the yellowfin crostini and wanted more. We would definitely come back again the next time we're in Boston.
Cynthia T — Google review
Hands down, arguably the best seafood restaurant in Boston! Super fresh, generous portions! I usually go for the lobster roll, but the sea bass, lobster spaghetti (omg I’m still dreaming about this one), uni toast, raw oysters are all divine! Everything tastes like the ocean, everything is perfectly cooked. Super friendly service - shoutout to Jillian that really made our day! The only negative? No Rez… first come, first serve (which is really democratic…), so go early and try to snag a table! Your patience will be rewarded!
Christina C — Google review
Absolutely worth the wait! Neptune has a cozy, charming vibe—even though seating is a bit tight, it just adds to the atmosphere. We waited about an hour and a half for a table for three, but it was worth it. The oysters were incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced, and the lobster roll was out of this world—100% recommend! If you’re not feeling seafood, the 16oz bone-in ribeye is amazing too—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. These guys need to expand!
Haris V — Google review
Be prepared to sit shoulder to shoulder with a stranger, but the amazing food makes it worth it!! I walked in on a Monday around 5pm and luckily was able to skip the line for a seat at the bar. The octopus was definitely my favorite of the night. It's grilled perfectly and served with tender pieces of cauliflower. The lobster roll was pretty good too. I ordered it hot and it came with a really generous portion of lobster meat, though I wish I had opted for the cold version for some more flavor. Come with a small group, definitely no larger than 4.
Shanel H — Google review
We waited around 15 min, and the queue got super long after. The oysters are a must, I loved how they have a list of oysters and clams and their taste profile so you can choose which one would you like to try. The price is reasonable and there’s so much variety. The razor clam is flavourful, and lobster roll is fresh and warm with juicy meat. The lobster seems to lack a bit of taste, which might be just our luck. Fries are great. The calamari is not particularly great or boring, but for the price point I expected more flavour with the batter and sweet squid. When it’s special for the night and not in the menu, make sure to ask for price so you don’t get a shock at payment.
Yanisa S — Google review
Pretty cozy place. You don’t have to wait if you go for lunch in weekdays. One of the waiter was emotionaless looking hence 4 stars but the rest were super friendly. Oysters are fresh and clam chowder were super flavorful. Lobster roll unfortunately was a bit below expectation in a sense that it’s a bit overcooked and bread was not toasted

Seafood restaurant
Union Oyster House is a historic restaurant that has been serving classic New England seafood dishes since 1826. Located in Boston, it is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in the United States. Visitors can enjoy chowder, oysters, and other seafood at this iconic establishment while taking in its rich history. The restaurant features a semicircular oyster bar where guests can sit and savor their meals, as well as an upstairs dining room with a plaque marking JFK's favorite booth.
Celebrated my birthday here- thought it would be fitting to get older at the oldest restaurant in the country! There were two servers for our tables, which was a bit jarring at first, but worked out great. Sometimes older restaurants can be a bit uncomfortable, but Union Oyster House was wonderful! We all found the booth and overall space relaxing and welcoming. We split the mussels to start, which were wonderful. I had a half dozen oysters, that were all huge and tasty, and the wonderful clam chowder. One of us had the crab cakes with mashed potatoes, the crab cake had almost no fillers and tasted fresh. The other had the sea scallops and fries, they were very happy with the dish. The meal started with fantastic warm corn bread and ended with a slice of birthday Boston cream pie! With a bottle of wine and one beer, the bill came to just under $200- which is not bad at all for being in Boston’s North End and in a historic venue. We sat by the Kennedy Booth, which is definitely a spot to check out when visiting! Would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone!
Cole R — Google review
It's a cool idea to visit oldest continuously operating restaurant in America but unfortunately the food was meh. I tried clam chowder, crab cakes and Broiled Scrod, all were decent but all lacked flavor. Ambiance is interesting somewhat eclectic. Service was good.
Katerina — Google review
This has been bookmarked as one of the restaurants I wanted to try for the longest time. It was not on our plan to eat here but we stumbled upon it while walking, location is indeed strategic! Our server and the whole team have been very helpful and nice. The food, all delicious! The bathroom is a little tight and the building itself is vintage and so with their cornbread recipe which makes it iconic. They gave me a copy of their cornbread recipe and I bought a bag of cornbread mix. I was flying that day and I forgot it is in my carry on. TSA just did their job, opened and checked it, it must be that good. I went ahead and baked it soon as I got home, same quality as the restaurant’s - makes me want to go back or I wish I bought more.
Liberty A — Google review
Ok, Union Oyster House is a bit touristy; I will give you that. But there is a reason this is America’s oldest continuous running restaurant. They put out solid food, and the prices are not outrageous. We started with the oysters, which were probably the highlight of the evening. They were extremely tasty. The clam chowder was solid, but not the best I’ve had. The lobster mac and cheese came out nuclear hot and the lobster was plentiful, but over cooked and rubbery. Our other dishes were good. Service was quick, but some of the staff were seen to be arguing and publicly training new people in front of guests. This is unacceptable. The atmosphere was fun, and the booths promised plenty of history and relatively private places to converse during the meal. Is this the best seafood in Boston? No. But the history gives them a rating of 4 (it would have been three otherwise).
Keith M — Google review
I mean, it’s the Union Oyster House! It’s been serving us fresh seafood forever! Every time I come, they produce consistently great food, and the only downside is that sometimes there’s a wait. We always try to sit at the oyster bar and just have them deliver fresh oysters and cherrystones to us. I love watching them shuck them, and we wait on them while we have a pint. It truly is the best seat in the house! And so fresh! We have had oysters and clams a lot of places, and these cherry stones are so so fresh. Big, juicy, and not dirty. Sometimes even at a very high-end oyster and clam place there is a lot of dirt in the shell; not so here. The shuckers do a great job delivering a clean fresh bivalve! Our server/Shucker/bartender was also super friendly! We ordered 18 cherrystones this time, and these were so big and juicy that they were really quite filling. If I had another 18, that would’ve been plenty for dinner. And I can eat a lot of seafood!
Lockie H — Google review
Union Oyster House is a restaurant at Downtown Boston. Open to diners since 1826, it is among the oldest operating restaurants in the United States and the oldest known to have been continuously operating. Dining here is mostly about visiting its history and the culture of Boston. The food was good, we especially love the Clam Chowder and the Lobster Roll. The atmosphere is rich with history and our server was ver friendly and attentive. However, the prices here can be on the high side but it is to be expected from a place such as this, which is a bit touristy. Overall, will still recommend to come here to take a look if you are into history and quality dining.
Tong T — Google review
Fantastic place with a lot of history and absolutely worth a visit when you are in Boston. The food was fresh and yummy and the service was great too. Highly recommend reservations especially on a weekend. If there’s one thing to improve, it’s the portion size. What usually works for 3 people will suffice only for 2 here. If you get a chance, do walk around the insides to catch all the beautiful artifacts and photos.
Jomy — Google review
This is one of the oldest restaurants in Boston and we had to check it out! We ordered a dozen oysters, a bowl of clean chowder and the kids chicken tenders with a Guinness and a pint of Harpoon IPA. The stuck to the small others and they were good. The didn't taste like the ocean. 😜 The chowder was creamy and super good filled with potatoes and clams. It was delishhhhh!!! The chicken tenders were freaking awesome. They taste like healthy schicken nuggies. They weren't over breaded and had soo much flavor. Oh, we also get free cornbread to start with! 🤤 Shout out to Katieand her area co-host for being very attentive and checking in and clearing the table for us!

Small plates restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Sarma Restaurant is a vibrant establishment in Somerville, part of Ana Sortun's culinary empire that includes Oleana and Sofra. The restaurant offers a modern Mediterranean menu with an emphasis on Middle Eastern flavors, serving up meze and small plates in a colorful setting. Inspired by traditional Turkish meyhanes, Sarma creates a communal dining experience with craft cocktails, local beer, and an extensive wine selection.
Truly incredible food. Flavor just explodes in your mouth for every dish. We got the corn bread, and gyro bread and I think I will think about both for the rest of my life. Wish I had pics of those to share. We also got the Tunisian tuna tacos, and the Cajun lamb and both were just indescribable. So good! Our server was great as well! I can’t remember their name but they were from Hollywood FL and were super nice and very knowledgeable about the menu!

- Everything is really good on the menu, but if it’s your first time I recommend any of the following: Black Sea cornbread, Lentil Nachos, Harissa BBQ duck, Scallops are excellent. Note the sesame fried chicken is brought around to tables when it’s made fresh, but cannot be ordered on demand. - Lots of really nice cocktails - Due to high demand, this place mostly requires a reservation, but there are 20 bar seats available for walk ins as well - Prices are very reasonable and quality is excellent; one of my favorite restaurants in Boston
BWS T — Google review
We had the best date night at Sarma! We didn’t have a reservation. We showed up on a Thursday night. Because we were flexible on sitting at the bar v. a table, we waited about 10 minutes (faster than the estimated wait). We were able to order a drink right away. It was the first time dining out in a while where we thought the food was so creative, delicious and flavorful. We especially enjoyed the cornbread, scallops, and crab dishes. The drinks were equally delicious. The service was great at the bar. The waiter asked if we had visited before and then introduced us to the concept and his favorites based our dietary needs/preferences. They asked about allergies. We had great conversation and vibes throughout the dinner. The environment colorful and bustling. Parking is limited so plan in advance.
Amanda G — Google review
This is an extraordinary restaurant! I feel this restaurant is the best in Boston! They use so many different herb! Tapas. All the dishes blended well . The employees are so friendly. Our waiter was Alexis tonight. He gave us a great experience.
Elizabeth S — Google review
I truly believe all the praise Sarma receives is super well deserved. Our expectations were dangerously high going in and Sarma exceeded on all fronts! The food, drinks, and service were all exceptional! Food: All the plates we ordered were all so unique and flavorful and it was such a treat exploring them. If only we had the stomachs and wallets to try everything on the menu. Our favorites were definitely the cornbread, the brussel sprouts, and the Cajun lamb kebabs. The first bite of every dish always got us perked up and excited to try more! Also the drinks we tried were a hit with everyone! Service: This was a perfect service experience! The staff checked in frequently and effectively, always quick to deliver on requests. The plates came and went so smoothly allowing you to focus on the food and the people you’re with. Atmosphere: The energy felt so celebratory! The decor and lightly immersed you in the dining experience giving you so many interesting and beautiful things to yet your eyes wonder on. Though there was constant chatter, we could easily hear everyone in our 5 person party because of the quieter background music and the spacing of the seating.
Vincent C — Google review
Great place, cosy and vibrant. Food is fun. Make sure to make a reservation 3-4 months in advance if you don't want to seet at a bar. Bar seats are limited, come before 5 pm and be ready to stand in line for a bit. But it is definitely worth it. Drinks are also very good.
Elena T — Google review
This was one of the hardest reservations to get, so our expectations were very high — but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The appetizers were noticeably better than the main courses, and sadly, many of the dishes were overly salty. We ordered quite a lot to try a good range of the menu: Avocado muhammara, fava bean pâté, Cuban-style pork, the famous cornbread, fritters, sugar snap peas, Brussels bravas, halloumi, fried zucchini, lemon beef, BBQ duck, lamb sliders, and for dessert, loukoumades with brown butter coffee and corn butter cake. The standout dishes were the cornbread, sugar snap peas, lamb sliders, and BBQ duck. The sugar snap peas might have been our favorite bite of the night — perfectly balanced and flavorful. The cornbread was outstanding as expected: salty from feta, spicy from jalapeños, and slightly sweet — all in one bite. Incredible balance. However, found a hair in last bite of the cornbread, which really ruined the experience. The staff handled it professionally and removed the item from the bill, but for a restaurant of this caliber, it’s simply not acceptable. The BBQ duck had good flavor, but half the pieces were quite tough while others were overly salty. The lamb sliders reminded me of a sandwich version of an Iskender kebab — well-seasoned meat with yogurt sauce that nicely balanced the richness. Unfortunately, several dishes were almost inedible due to saltiness — especially the fritters, lemon beef, fava bean pâté, Cuban pork, and halloumi. The avocado muhammara and fried zucchini were fine, but not particularly memorable. For dessert, the loukoumades with Turkish coffee sauce were excellent — the sauce paired beautifully with the fried dough. The corn butter cake, however, was underwhelming. Overall, the experience was lackluster. Service started off great but dropped off after we ordered — it was hard to find our server, and check-ins were rare. Also, the drinks were mediocre, and the “Turkish coffee espresso martini” was particularly disappointing, arriving without much crema or foam. After waiting years to finally try Sarma, it was a letdown, and unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be returning anytime soon.

Sarma has been on my to-go list for Boston for a while as it is the talk of the town, and securing a reservation was no small feat. So when I finally got the opportunity to go, the restaurant did not live up to expectations. The Gyro bread was very mediocre and should be included in the meal as any other regular restaurant. The various dishes we got we're mediocre and over priced for what they were. (Harissa Lamb, Lamb Kofta Sliders, Scallops Mozambique, Gyro Bread, Ricotta Babaganoush, and Tunisian Birk Tacos)The atmosphere and lack of any reasonable parking were major drawbacks as well. The service however was kind, prompt, and very professional. Overall the buzz around Sarma doesn't seem to be warranted and it is quite overpriced for what it is.

Seafood restaurant
Seafood market
James Hook & Co is a family-owned seafood company that has been a Boston landmark since 1925. Located on the waterfront, this small red shanty offers live lobsters and prepared shellfish fare for takeout. The establishment's lobster rolls are highly praised for their simplicity and quality, with chunks of fresh Maine lobster dressed in mayo and served in a toasted bun.
Few names in Boston are as synonymous with lobster as James Hook & Co., a family-owned institution that has been serving locals and visitors alike since 1925. Situated on the waterfront, the restaurant exudes the nostalgic charm and character of classic New England dining—unpretentious, welcoming, and rooted in tradition. The menu highlights the very best of what Boston has to offer, and the seafood here speaks for itself. The baked clams arrive brimming with flavor, their tender texture complemented by a delicate balance of seasoning. They set the stage perfectly for the star of the show: the lobster roll. Served warm with butter, the roll embodies everything one could hope for in this quintessential New England dish. The lobster meat is sweet, fresh, and impeccably cooked, nestled in a perfectly toasted bun that allows the natural flavors to shine. It is, without exaggeration, among the finest lobster rolls I have ever tasted. What makes James Hook & Co. so special is not only the quality of its seafood but also its authenticity. This is a place where tradition is honored and simplicity is celebrated. There are no unnecessary embellishments—just pristine ingredients, prepared with confidence and respect for the region’s culinary heritage. For anyone visiting Boston, a stop at James Hook & Co. is essential. Whether it’s for a quick lobster roll at lunch or a leisurely seafood feast, this landmark establishment delivers a taste of New England at its best, ensuring that every bite carries with it a piece of Boston’s maritime soul.

We came to this place on our visit to Boston because of its reputation and being listed on almost every travel video as a recommendation. Maybe, we didn’t order it right, but it was just okay. We got the large lobster roll w/ mayo to share and some oysters cause my girlfriend is a huge oyster fan. She said the oysters were great, super fresh — makes sense since its right next to the ocean. The lobster roll, in my opinion, was just.. okay and it was disappointing cause it’s almost $35-40 for the roll. The amount of lobster justified the price, but it needed a little more love. It just seemed to quite literally be lobster tossed in some mayo and slapped on a cold roll. I feel like we could find something similar for a lot cheaper elsewhere. I still think it’s worth a try being a Boston staple when visiting, but I’ll be looking to see if there’s something out there for a better price with a little more love, and a little more welcoming.

The Lobster is worth the hype!! Absolutely phenomenal roll with loads of chunky delicious lobster situated in a soft roll. I ordered mine without mayonnaise and poured on the hot butter! Delicious! The clam chowder was also super satisfying and is no slouch. Nice large clams and very tasty. All it needed was some pepper in my opinion but overall, 10/10 would recommend!!

James Hook & Co had the most amazing and authentic lobster roll we tried anywhere in Maine, Massachusetts or Rhode Island on our recent trip. They absolutely loaded the roll with fresh lobster and kept it super simple and authentic. For a great lobster roll the price was fair, but not cheap. Atmosphere is super laid back. We waited in line mostly outside the building, ordered at a counter, waited just a couple minutes for food, then found an outside table. (some tables are in more enclosed glass structures) Highly recommend the experience of eating at this approx 100 year old Boston lobster restaurant. (their other food was delicious too!)

James Hook was a fantastic spot. We went on a Monday/Tuesday evening and had no wait, and our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. It is a little on the pricier side, but that’s expected for lobster rolls and the location. The clam chowder was straightforward and good, and the lobster roll was definitely one of the better ones we’ve had in Boston. We would definitely return, but we’re also open to trying other spots to compare.
G W — Google review
James Hook is the kind of place that reminds you why Boston owns the lobster roll game. The lobster is sweet, rich, and perfectly cooked, piled high in a simple toasted bun without any pretension. It’s easily one of the best I’ve ever had, hot or cold, and feels like the benchmark everyone else is chasing. The setup is casual and tight but efficient, the kind of spot where you balance your tray and make room for the next hungry group without complaint. The large lobster and crab tanks inside keep kids entertained and add to the charm of the place. There’s no bar, just a cooler with sodas and water, but it somehow fits. The Seaport location is perfect for a stroll afterward, and while it’s undeniably touristy, it’s touristy for all the right reasons. At roughly forty dollars a roll, it’s not cheap, but it’s worth it for the quality and the experience. James Hook remains a quintessential Boston stop—fast, friendly, and all about the lobster.

I've been eating a lot of clean chowder all over town and while the one here is yummy, I wanted something different so I opted for the lobster bisque and it was lovely! I got myself a buttered lobster roll and a stuffed scallop. All were delicious! No wonder they are known for it! You order inside, find a table- either in a heated sitting area or just outdoors and wait for your number to be called. The bathroom is a porter potty outside down the ramp. The place gives off a nice friendly vibe and it's quite busy despite the odd time of day. Worth checking out if you are in Boston.

Lobster Roll, a must if you go to Boston. James Hook & Co is just the most famous lobster roll here, you can call it a tourist trap if you’d like but heck, at least you get out feeling super happy. Pictured: Large Lobster Roll + Butter Taste: 10/10 Cute prop outside, next to the water. I think it’s a must try! There was no line, plenty of seating!

Row 34 is a trendy restaurant known for its wide selection of oysters, fish dishes, and craft beers. The name comes from the signature variety grown at Island Creek Oyster Farm in Duxbury Bay. With multiple locations across New England, including Boston's Fort Point, Burlington, Portsmouth, N.H., and Kendall Square in Cambridge, Row 34 has become a seafood staple.
Came here for dinner Saturday night—good thing we had reservations because it was busy! Got seated in the back right side of the restaurant where it felt more dim lit than the other side by the kitchen. Was a bit too dark for my preference even with a small candle on the table. Food was delicious! For appetizers, Raw Oysters were good and the Shrimp Pimento & Bluefish Pate spreads were excellent. For entrees, enjoyed both the Warm Buttered Lobster Roll and Fish & Chips! Didn’t eat the potato chips, they looked super greasy. Cocktails were great—loved the Dirty Gin Martini and GrandTen Vodka Cordial Freezer Martini! Service was great as well. Overall, the restaurant has a good ambiance. One thing I would flag is that they have these black metal plates sticking out from the wooden pillars in the front area—if you are not careful you can injure yourself, I almost hit the plate on my way to the restroom.

This place blew our minds! We had to come back two nights in a row. We were lucky to find a table since we didn’t have a reservation. Everything we tried from the menu was amazing. The New England Clam Chowder, tuna crudo, calamari, oyster slider, warm lobster roll, and monk fish were all incredible. The desserts were just as delicious! This is a must-try place. Even though the lobster roll is on the higher end of the price range, it’s worth every penny. I wish they have a spot in New York since this would be my go to place.

My husband, brother-in-law, and I stopped into Row 34 for a quick dinner before heading to the airport, and it did not disappoint! I’d heard so many great things about this place and was excited to finally try it. We originally came for the lobster rolls, but since the market price was $50 that night, we decided to mix it up and ordered the salmon poke bowl, the ceviche, the salmon entrée, and of course, a bowl of clam chowder. Everything was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The chowder was creamy and rich without being heavy, and the seafood dishes tasted incredibly fresh. Service was just as impressive — multiple staff members checked in on us, and everything came out at the perfect pace. Overall, Row 34 absolutely lives up to the hype. Great food, friendly service, and a lively Seaport atmosphere — I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Boston.

The front desk lady wasn’t friendly. My husband and I came in and asked for a table. Although half of the restaurant was empty, she said they were fully booked. We ended up staying for dinner anyway, and even after 1.5 hours, many of those tables were still unoccupied. We were seated near the bar, which turned out to be a good spot. The bartender was amazing and very professional, the kitchen staff worked hard, and the food was absolutely delicious — everything fresh and flavorful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Row 34 – Boston Row 34 absolutely lived up to the hype! The moment we walked in, the place had that perfect mix of modern, cozy, and lively. The service was quick, friendly, and super knowledgeable — they really know their seafood here. The oysters were incredibly fresh, probably the best I’ve had in a long time. And the Warm Buttered Lobster Roll? Next level. Perfectly toasted roll, juicy lobster, and just the right amount of butter. Every bite was crazy good. We also tried a few small plates, and everything came out hot and full of flavor. You can tell they care about quality. If you’re visiting Boston, Row 34 is a must — amazing seafood, great vibes, and worth every dollar. I’ll definitely be back! 🦞✨

I stopped by Row 34 in Boston’s Seaport District to try some clams and oysters. The place was pretty crowded, but they quickly found me a seat at the bar. I had a few oysters from their raw bar — super fresh and delicious — and finished with the bay scallops and squid ink campanelle. Service was friendly and quick. Great spot for seafood lovers, definitely worth stopping by for dinner if you’re in the area!

Row 34 offers a variety of truly excellent seafood dishes and a few other options for those who prefer beef or chicken. I’ve dined here a few times for lunch or dinner and always been very satisfied with the customer service and food quality. Tonight’s server Lauren was great. Both the salmon and tuna crudo, the crab cake, fish tacos, beet salad and smoked scallops were all delicious. They have an excellent raw bar and plentiful beer and wine selections. Seating options include indoor, outdoor and high top. Reservations are recommended because this is a popular spot. Paid garage, lot and street parking are all within a block. Enjoy!

Saltie Girl is a charming raw bar located in Back Bay, Boston. The restaurant offers a variety of seafood dishes, including tinned fish options. The menu features fresh-shucked oysters, torched salmon belly with charred avocado, smoked fish, seafood-topped toasts, and a butter-drenched warm lobster roll.
Saltie girl was packed when we went, but we had a reservation so we didn’t have to wait. We were seated inside—patio seating didn’t seem to be available for reservations. The atmosphere was lively, though a little too crowded to have an easy conversation. The food, however, was really good and beautifully presented! The oysters were fresh and delicious, and we ordered a variety of cocktails to sample—honeydew, passion fruit, and grapefruit—all of which were excellent. The highlight was definitely the lobster rolls, which were perfectly prepared. Overall, a really good experience with great food and drinks.

Saltie Girl completely lived up to the hype. The lobster roll was buttery and perfectly balanced; One of the best I’ve ever had. The oysters were incredibly fresh and paired with great sauces. Saltie Girl was highly recommended when I was researching “best warm lobster roll” in Boston! It definitely lived up to the hype. We came in for lunch (after being denied the day before because we didn’t have a reso - recommend making one online!). We started with the cinnamon bun appetizer. It was great!! Then, my boyfriend got the warm lobster roll and he loved it. It was beautifully plated too! I got the fish and chips - so tasty. Very crunchy on the outside, but tender fish inside! The atmosphere was very cool, but the tables were so close together. The couple next to us started to strike up conversation because we were basically sitting at the same table… But everything else was great! We’ll be back!

We had a great time in Saltie Girl. The shrimp cocktail is AMAZING. Highly recommend it. I had the smoked salmon bagel which was nice but I expected more from the bagel itself. My sister had the lobster roll which she enjoyed. We had a reservation and still had to wait about 20 min to get seated. Also getting the waiters attention to order food was a challenge but then everything went smoothly.

This is THE dining experience! True, authentic, and full of great food. The place looks amazing so chic. Even the front desk ladies look like super models. The staff are so welcome and nice, the food tastes like heaven. They could squeeze us in on the weekend and we are so grateful. The caviar dessert is so creative. Their cocktails are good and served creative as well. This is THE place and worth the hype.

We made a reservation at Salty Girl after seeing so many people on TikTok recommending it....we were NOT disappointed! The restaurant looks gorgeous and the atmosphere was great. We got great service from the girls at the front and the waitress at our table. We ordered the lobster roll and the truffle fries. Both were fantastic. The bread was warm and soft, the lobster was tasty and the truffle fries were excellent. We then shared the chocolate chip cookie with a little vanilla ice cream. The cookie was tasty and the ice cream was too. I would definitely add this to my list of must-do things in Boston.

Atmosphere inside was lovely although we made a reservation but got put in the back bar. I would specify you want to sit in the front dining area to get full effect of Saltie Girl Vibe. The SWEETBOY SWEETBUNS were out of this world! I got the lobster and waffles and they were pretty amazing! My daughter got steak and eggs and said it was beyond On Point. Our friends both got Lobster Rills and said they were fabulous!

Excellent staff, great menu with seafood focus with classics and specials, lovely ambience. We went to dinner both times but would recommend making a reservation unless you have a small party of 2 and you might be lucky with bar seating. I think their drink menu is simple and delicious. Would recommend anything seafood related and try something new!

Peruvian restaurant
Celeste is a trendy Peruvian restaurant located in Somerville's Union Square, just a short drive from downtown Boston. With its modern white-walled space and limited seating, dining here feels like attending a dinner party hosted by a well-traveled friend. The restaurant gained recognition on Esquire's Best New Restaurants in America list in 2018.
Oh MAN if you love seafood, you have to come here. Every single seafood dish was delicious. The ceviche with blue cod, the pupusa special with the GIANT prawn, the seafood risotto - wow. Each seafood dish was cooked to perfection, the mussels and squid were tender, the prawn was so flavorful, the flavors complemented the seafood so well. My friend loved the lamb stew and I liked it too but I wouldn't come here for it. The Peruvian mousse was so interesting too. The vibe of the place was so cool - it's a tiny restaurant and you get front row seats to the cooking action. Lots of Spanish spoken here. Cool lighting.
Kathy Y — Google review
Had a casual weekday dinner here - while I came in with high expectations, I still think the food left something to be desired. The lomo saltado was really good, but not different from other Peruvian joints. The scallop and lamb that we ordered were not outstanding. Ceviche and drinks were pleasantly tasty and we were very happy with the service throughout the night. Will revisit if the menu goes through a change
Allan R — Google review
The space is cute and the service was quick and great, but the issue for me was the mains. The scallops were tasty, but slightly under cooked. The pasta underneath was drowned in sauce that didn’t have enough time to cook down the garlic leaving a very intense raw garlic taste. 1/3 of the sauce would have been more than enough so I don’t have to fish for the pasta in the soup of sauce. A few more tomatoes would have helped give it the much needed acidity to cut through the intensely rich dish. 2 halves of a cherry tomato basically did nothing. Not pictured was the shrimp and mango ceviche which was quite good. The lamb stew was no memorable.

The avocado and tuna appetizer were very tasty. The Carapulcra my friend ordered was amazing, my steamed fish was a bit plain but healthy and light. They also had very nice dessert.

It’s such an amazing place. It’s very small, so be sure to make a reservation way in advance. The atmosphere is perfect for small groups. Cozy, warm, and elegant.

Went to Celeste with my wife for a date night. We were only able to get a reservation at the bar. It is VERY tight, like shoulder-to-shoulder-with-strangers tight. It's ambitious placing 6 of those bar stools there. Wish we were able to get a table. The music was weird - they were playing kids music (Baby Shark, etc???) and kept changing it. Seemed like someone didnt know how to load in the proper playlist? Service was pretty good. Waitress made recommendations, refilled water etc. I had higher expectations for the food given how far in advance you have to make a reservation. I now realize it's probably a function of the size of Celeste rather than the food quality. It didnt blow me away but was good and comforting. The price point is high for what it is. Overall a good experience, but I am not dying to go back!

Pizza restaurant

Restaurant
Regina Pizzeria is a local chain that has been around since 1926, offering thin-crust, brick-oven pizzas in a simple setting. The original location on Thatcher Street is filled with history and character, where even former President Calvin Coolidge may have dined. The pizza is highly praised for its house-made sausage, sauce blended with cheese, and perfectly charred crust from the old oven.
Definitely a local favorite and a popular place for tourists to stop by for a delicious slice of pizza. Lines are inevitable, but move fairly quickly for dine-in. If you want it to-go, head to the right of the bar and order. Not sure if there are limitations to what you can order though. The place is booming with people and it's quite lively and has a great atmosphere. They're about to celebrate 100 years! I tried the cheese, pepperoni and giambotta paired with a nice glass of Peroni. The crust is thin and crispy, the amount of their special sauce is perfect. Most of us got a variation of this with someone getting a Margherita and loved it too. A 10" is more than enough for one person, or you can split with it another if you're not so hungry. Price point is fair and they give you paper plates and plastic cutlery- casual but amazing vibes. Best Pizza in town! Must try!!
Amy B — Google review
To say this place is bustling is an understatement. We were there when Little Italy was celebrating the something or other of St. Joseph and the entire area was cordoned off for the weekend long event. The streets were filled with vendors and activities. It looked like a great time. I don't know if this was the reason for super long line at Regina, but nonetheless, there was one. The pizza was pretty good for an east coast pie. Can't hold a candle to Chicago pizza, tavern style, or deep dish, but it was tasty. Even though the place was nuts, our server was fantastic. Their assembly line of cranking out pizzas was pretty impressive. We sat right next to the kitchen. The walls are covered with (gotta be) thousands of police uniform shoulder patches from all over the country. I kid you not, the first one that caught my eye across the room turned out to be from the Lake County Sheriff in Illinois, right where I live. What are the chances?
Larry B — Google review
Excellent pizza and a really cool retro vibe inside the shop. You can feel the history of the place inside and it’s always buzzing and busy there. Friendly Italian staff and the pizza is very good. The crust is a bit on the thicker side almost like a bread, not thin, but good quality and very fair price. They also accept credit card which is good.

This is the place for pizza, a little off the path from the freedom trail but worth the extra walk. Was busy when we went but only waited about 10mins. The service was fast and the pizza was amazing. The pictures of famous people on the wall is fun to look at while you wait for your pie, I will definitely be back when I can. Best pizza in Little Italy.

Fantastic! We had read some reviews and heard only good things although many said that there were long queues and wait times. We arrived at 'The Original' Regina Monday night expecting a long wait in the cold but were pleasantly surprised that we were sat immediately in a lovely corner booth. Staff very friendly and helpful by making sure we were comfortable. Our waitress then helped recommend pizzas. I had the Mediterranean with added Chicken (see photo). It was incredible. Arrived quick and very hot and fresh. Definitely one of the best pizza's in North America. Highly recommend

Grill 23 & Bar is a sophisticated chophouse known for its classic surf 'n' turf dishes and extensive wine selection. The restaurant boasts an elegant ambiance with white jacket-clad servers, ornate tapestries adorning the walls, and a dedicated second floor for private dining. As one of only 100 restaurants in the country to receive a Grand Award from Wine Spectator, Grill 23 & Bar takes pride in its exceptional wine list.
Over the past weekend, I visited Grill 23 for the first time with my girlfriends, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The ambiance was elegant, the servers were incredibly courteous, and every dish was outstanding. We started with the most delicious caviar and Thumbelina carrots, followed by the American Kobe Cap Steak and Prime Ribeye — both cooked to perfection. We ended our meal with their famous coconut cake, and it was heavenly! Everything from start to finish was perfect. The atmosphere felt lively and special, with guests celebrating birthdays and dressed beautifully. I can’t wait to go back again!

Firstly let’s start with the good. The wagyu carpaccio was really nice, maybe some of the best I’ve had (even as a person who doesn’t usually enjoy arugula). The portion sizes were huge. However, in a lot of the dishes I felt it meant quantity was prioritised over quality. Also, I am a person who enjoys trying a little bit of everything or at least not feel extremely full by the time the second course arrives. The price was not justified and I felt I could’ve gotten a better steak frites for much less somewhere else. The ice cream was also just normal. Nothing was horrible (except the noise but I will get into that) but for the elevated price you’d expect much much more. Also for that price, you’d expect a certain ambience in which this place was extremely lacking in. The noise levels were so bad I had to shout to get my voice heard by my family and I resorted to using the noise cancelling feature on my AirPods (even then it was still loud). Final advice, come here for drinks if: you and your friends know sign language, you want to bring someone who’s voice you find annoying (because you can’t hear them anyway), you want to admire the nicely decorated and designed room and leave immediately. Also at the end of our meal, when dessert came out, they brought out the incorrect dessert for my mother, but then brought out the correct one after being told. TLDR: very noisy, subpar food (for the price) other than the beef carpaccio, service was fine, don’t come before your reservation time you will have to wait

Came to dinner on my first night in Boston. This restaurant was recommended to me by a true Bostonian. It was excellent. From the reception, the spacious venue and comfort all the way down to having a table in the middle of the room where you enjoy the ambiance around the room and have view of the kitchen, it was a show in the evening I was there. Full house. Not an empty chair. The best is always the menu. Food and Flavor comes always First. Yes the service and our server was exceptional. We had some steaks, beef carpaccio and a calamari to die for. This restaurant is classic. Do it.

Classy Steak & Seafood restaurant. Our steaks were delicious, tender and cooked to perfection! We had the Steak Frites and the Filet Mignon. We started with Lobster Bisque Soup. So nice to have a proper Lobster Bisque with small succulent pieces of lobster. With the steaks we ordered Au Poivre (Brandy Peppercorn Cream) on the side. If you like pepper steak, then this is a must have! The mussels were very good. So fresh and well seasoned. We finished dinner sharing a cheesecake. So delicious!

Had an amazing meal here! Visiting Boston and truly came here on a whim hoping for the best. Great service and even better food. If you like a dirty martini, they make an amazing one. We had the crab cakes which were great. But our star of the show was the ribeye. Cooked perfectly with so much flavor. Bernardo was so helpful with suggestions on the menu and made our meal great. We also loved that you can do half sides so we were able to try a few different sides. Would definitely recommend!!!!

I’ve been to grill 23 a few times before and always had great experiences, but unfortunately this visit was a bit disappointing. I ordered the steak Medium Rare, but it came out noticeably more on the rare side. Even the waitress mentioned it was a little under medium rare and said they could have put it back on the grill if we wanted — but by that time, we were already almost done eating, so it didn’t make sense to send it back. Another thing that bothered me was that while we were still finishing our meal, the staff started clearing our table. I was talking and didn’t fully notice until they had already taken away most of the dishes — including some side dishes I hadn’t finished yet. Overall, although I really like this restaurant and have had great experiences in the past, this visit was disappointing. I’d rate it around 3 out of 5 for this time. While writing this review: I realized my beer got taken away without asking! RUDE!

Bagel shop
Breakfast restaurant
Bagelsaurus is a popular spot in Porter Square known for its unique, handmade bagels and creative sandwiches. The shop offers classic bagel varieties as well as special flavors like chocolate chip pretzel and cheddar garlic. Their sandwiches range from the classic jumbo to the charcuter-brie, featuring French brie, fennel salami, salted butter, and arugula.
The best bagel I have ever had! Bagelsaurus bagels surpassed the famous bagels in NYC. The chewiness of the bagels was beyond imagination with amazing flavors depending on which bagel flavor you choose. It was totally worth a wait in line and I will definitely come back again! The service was very quick but the staffs are not friendly.

Highly Recommend! They do NOT skimp on their cream cheese! The Honey Rosemary cream cheese (on seeded wheat bagel) took me by surprise. The best is the tomato cheddar bagel with honey rosemary cream cheese! If you have a particular bagel flavour you prefer, get there early, especially since there is typically a line that extends outside of the store. Their sandwiches are...not economical, but their bagels with cream cheeses are worth it. I like that you can order their spreads to go ($6.5 for 8oz tub), which I recommend, if you don't care for buying their bagel ($2.75 is better than most places nearby). They also sell hats (recommend) and shirts with their logo. People may complain the staff are not friendly, but they are competent, patient, and diligent. You'll likely wait 5-10 Mins for your order because it gets busy. Don't expect fine dining service, just expect your order to taste great!

This is a fantastic bagel spot in Porter Square. Apparently it's made the NYT's 100 Best Restaurants in America list, which I'm sure is a big honor. It seems like quite the popular spot, when I visited there was a line out the shop and down the street, with a wait of about 15 minutes to get inside. The shop itself is quite small but efficient. They're able to fit a lot of high-table seating, sit-down seating, and window seating into their space. They also are efficient in making the bagel sandwiches themselves, and service is quick. I'd highly recommend the unique sea-salt bagel and honey rosemary creamcheese combination. Supposedly, this was one of their original flavors that catapulted them to fame. It lived up to the hype. Definitely worth a visit.

Bagelsaurus is a bagel shop located right outside of Porter Square, serving a wide range of bagels and bagel sandwiches each day. The staff are friendly and keep the line moving quickly, and the bagels come out just as quick. The lines do get pretty long and they usually sell out very quickly, so coming early is recommended. We got the Cold Smoked bagel as well as an everything bagel with cream cheese. The cold smoked was good, with Salmon, Dill, and Capers, though we didn't like Capers it didn't ruin the experience. The everything bagel was alright, though the bagels did get pretty hard to chew even after it was toasted. Overall though was good bagel and highly recommended.

Best bagel spot in boston, get here early enough to skip the line! There’s something so perfect about the texture of their bagels. I had been recommended this spot for years and finally decided to go. I regret not coming sooner…

As a company critic, I was impressed by this establishment. Parking can be difficult to find. In the morning, there are lines long enough towards the outer side. No lines around noon till closing. Having a menu board in front of the door is great to see. The flooring can feel a bit slippery. The plain bagels seem to run out quick. What they have in front of the customers is what is left for the bagels. Charge for cream cheese. Prices can be high. The tea they have is black. They have water on the counter for free. It can be difficult to find a seat inside. The higher chairs seem a bit unstable. There are no restrooms. It terms of recycling, lots of plastic and brown bags used, wish they had recycling bin. They do have high chairs for children. The employees seem nice; open kitchen area. Most are wearing gloves which is good to see. Thank you for reading.

I ordered Eggspanola with an onion bagel plus roasted tomatoes. It was BOMB! Juicy smoky tomatoes on top of the cheese and eggs were a pleasant taste. We visited on Sunday, it was packed. However the line moved so fast.

I’ve never had bagels this good before! They’re mouthwatering and you can’t resist! I definitely get why this place is so popular, this is the best breakfast I’ve had in a minute!!! I know it might sound like I’m exaggerating, but they perfectly cook the eggs and the bagels themselves are the perfect texture, not too firm nor soft and you can get different ones depending on your taste. Got onion and wheat bagels with eggs and other toppings (espanola). Also got a blueberry bagels which they only make on Thursdays and the rosemary honey cream cheese complemented it perfectly. I really recommend everyone try this place out. It’s really that good!

New American restaurant
Woods Hill Pier 4 is a laid-back restaurant offering picturesque harbor views and a menu featuring oysters, seafood dishes, and steak alongside an array of cocktails. The eatery has a rich history, with its roots tracing back to a Greek immigrant who opened the diner in 1974. Known for their beef meatballs and tomato sauce infused with sugar and cinnamon, the restaurant has temporarily streamlined its menu due to the pandemic but promises the return of this beloved dish soon.
I went to the restaurant with my friend on the summer around 6-7 pm. I don’t expect the area around place. But it’s very nice than I thought, here is a good place to having dinner and see the sunset. Also food is so delicious too. But a small plate. If you come for two ppl. I should order 5-6 dish. The pasta is amazing. The service is little slow.

We enjoyed the dinner on the pier, watching the port. The service was excellent, and the server had a good sense of humor. The drinks were well done, tasty, and nicely decorated. The food was good, but not extraordinary; at least the pappardellle as I expected more flavor from the braised rabbit. All other dishes were tasty and had a good presentation. Would try it again.
Chaffinch — Google review
The food was beautiful and delicious. For appetizers, we tried the whipped feta dip and local bluefin tuna. The tuna was excellent—they used watermelon instead of avocado, and it totally worked. We didn’t like the feta dip as much. It had yellow beet and watermelon, which were tasty, but overall it wasn’t a standout. For the main course, I ordered the grass-fed beef. It was very good, though the flavor was slightly off in a way I can’t quite explain—I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The drinks were also excellent, and we loved them.

We had the best experience here for our date night. We sat at the bar and had delicious drinks and entrees. We ordered BUCATINI ALL'AMATRICIANA and the DRY AGED DUCK BREAST. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes are smaller than I am used to therefore you may want to order more. I can not wait to go back!

My first visit to Woods Hill on Pier 4 in Boston - and everything was absolutely exquisite. There were three of us - and we shared the Caviar Experience, which was a first for all of us. And it got better from there. The service, the variety of food, the service throughout the meal (I couldn't empty my water no matter how hard I tried). When you come - you will enjoy the amazing flavors, the wonderful variety from a farm to table restaurant. Could very well be in my top 10 of meals I've ever eaten!

I’ve been here many times and always have a great experience. The service is consistently fantastic, and the dishes always are changing to highlight new season flavors. It is clear how much thought and care goes into the menu. They keep expanding which is exciting to see and a testament to how good they are.

Caribbean restaurant
Fusion restaurant
Comfort Kitchen is a must-visit spot that lives up to the hype. The website provides clear parking options, and the plantains make for an excellent appetizer. The jackfruit sliders are a surprising flavor explosion, while the trout with brown butter is exceptionally tasty. The duck dish also impresses with its flavorful taste. This restaurant offers a masterful blend of flavors from the African diaspora and seamlessly integrates Middle Eastern, African, and Caribbean cuisines.
One of my favorite places in Boston! From the first welcome by the hostess, all the way to the last goodbye this place is infused with care, love and soul. Everything on the menu is exceptional and exciting. Unusual flavors blend masterfully with each bite, in a comforting way indeed. There is no feeling of heaviness or bodily discomfort afterwards, which is especially pleasant during warm summer nights. I’ve been here three times this month only, and can’t wait to return!
Masha K — Google review
We visited Comfort Kitchen for the $70 Tuesday Non-Veg Thali per person. While the ambiance was lovely, the experience didn’t justify the price. The thali included pork with mustard greens, cumin rice, lentil soup, sesame potatoes, radish pickle, puri, raita, and rice pudding. The food was average, and the service was below average. As someone born in Nepal, I had hoped for more authenticity — but even my non-Nepali partner found it basic and overpriced. The thali is marketed as a Nepali or Rai thali. While some elements are Nepali or Rai, others like puri and raita aren’t part of the cuisine. Creative interpretation is fine, but presenting it as traditional feels misleading. We’ve visited Comfort Kitchen before and enjoyed their food despite wait times, high prices, and so-so service because we wanted to support the mission and community. But when the food is just average, the service still lacking, and the price this high, it crosses a line. We paid over $200 for two thalis, one drink, and fees. At that point, it felt less like a memorable night out and more like a profitable Tuesday for the restaurant. Comfort Kitchen has generated a lot of buzz, but this time, it didn’t live up to it.

I'm really torn on this place. I loved the vibe and the flavors were fantastic, but several parts of the experience just fell short. The atmosphere is a definite win. The decor is cozy and stylish, the service was prompt and friendly, and we loved the historical details on the menu—a really nice touch. When it came to the food, they absolutely nailed the flavors. The sauces were brilliant and everything was well-seasoned. The jerk duck was the star of the show—incredibly tender—and the Nepali chai was perfectly spiced and delicious. The problem was that for most dishes, the textures were completely off. The pork chop was dry, the beef was tough, and the roasted okra was soggy instead of crisp. Adding to the frustration was our table. Our group of four was squeezed into a tiny corner with barely enough room to eat comfortably, which made sharing an awkward experience. For the price, I just expected more consistency. I really wanted to love this place, and maybe we just caught them on a bad night, but I'd be hesitant to go back.

My partner and I went here for our 5th anniversary and had an amazing time! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The drinks were fantastic. I would highly recommend Dream Street and Put that on Everything. I would order those again 100 times over. Our waiter warned us the food was spice forward and said they could accommodate a lower spice level if needed which was very nice to offer. My partner and I can handle spice so we respectfully declined. We shared the okra, jackfruit sliders and yuca fries to start. I am still thinking about the okra and jackfruit sliders. The flavor was dimensional and the jackfruit sliders were perfectly spicy and sweet. The yuca fries were pretty good but I have preference for sauce on the side rather than over fries and I know to ask for that next time. For our mains our waiter suggested the jerk duck and my partner said she doesn't usually order duck but this was one of the best duck dishes she's ever had. It fell off the bone and the flavor was incredible. I got the cauliflower and it was pretty good and definitely a lot of cauliflower. Like a half a head of cauliflower. I loved the smokiness and the spice. I'm not sure that I would order it again but that's just personal preference. I loved the vibe of this restaurant. It's the perfect date night place and honestly any occasion going out. Overall, Comfort Kitchen was one of my partner and I's favorite dinners we have had this year and we look forward to returning in the near future!

This was not just eating at a restaurant this was a true dining experience. Eating at Comfort Kitchen has been on my food list for quite sometime as I do not live in Boston and when I knew I was going to be in town I immediately made reservations. Reservations fill up fast and now I see why. The idea behind the restaurant is what is so interesting and the added history of the restaurant location make it even more special. I started off with the Sour Sumac, which was delightful and very tasty. My appetizer was the Okra, this is not your average Okra. This was backed with flavor and was not slimy at all. I have never had Okra that was not slimy until yesterday. My main was the Jerk Duck, this is an absolute must! It was so tender, juicy and the jerk rub was spot on. As a foodie who travels the world eating at the best restaurants around the globe I see why Comfort Kitchen wins awards. I had the pleasure of sitting at the bar and can see the action on the kitchen. It was truly a beautiful dance to create amazing food. To actually see Chef Biplaw actually around the restaurant was a true joy. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Our dining club of nine had dinner at Comfort Kitchen and, unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the price. We were charged $765 total (including tax and tip) for a pre-set group meal that included three eggplant entrées at $75 each, three pork entrées at $85 each, and three fish chowders at $95 each, plus a few shared appetizers and dessert. When we did the math afterward, ordering the same items à la carte would have cost about $615 total with tax and gratuity—around $150 less for the same food. Portions were very small: only two plates each of beef, okra, and sliders to share among nine people, and for dessert we received half-size portions of mango ice cream (valued at $7 each). We were also told there would be outdoor heat lamps, but there was only one for our entire group, which made the seating area uncomfortably chilly. In addition, one person’s pork dish was forgotten until we reminded our server, Avi, who said it had to be cooked fresh—but by then, most of us were already finished eating. The flavors were excellent, but the portions, pacing, and setup didn’t justify the cost. If you’re organizing a group dinner here, make sure to coordinate in advance—ask exactly how many plates of each appetizer will be served, confirm the outdoor setup, and do the math ahead of time so everyone gets fair value.

A Unique and Vibrant Dining Experience This restaurant stands out for its creative starters and cocktails, which were truly exceptional—each dish and drink brought a unique twist that delighted the senses. While the main courses were enjoyable, they didn’t quite reach the same level of innovation and flavor as the appetizers. The atmosphere, however, is where this place shines!! Great music, vibrant energy, and welcoming crowd create a fantastic ambiance that makes the entire experience memorable. Overall, this restaurant offers something genuinely different from the typical Boston dining scene. Its inventive menu and lively setting make it well worth a visit—especially if you’re looking to explore flavors and vibes outside the norm.

Thai restaurant
Restaurant
Mahaniyom is a cozy spot in Brookline Village that offers a unique experience with its craft cocktails and Thai sharing plates. The restaurant stands out for its bar program, which features cocktails incorporating Thai ingredients into classic recipes. Owners Chompon Boonnak and Smuch Saikamthorn have brought authentic Thai dishes like rambutan salad and coconut-milk crab curry to Boston, focusing on shareable small plates with bold flavors.
Went for the second night in a row for dinner. Food is great (10/10); service is friendly; great place for dates, group dinners, and dates. We had the beef massaman, crab curry, and chive cakes with mocktails (special request to the accommodating bartender Andrew), Thai iced coffee, and sticky rice dessert. The massaman is our favorite (perfect combo of savory and sweet--please don't ever take this off the menu!!) and is enough for a full meal, and we wanted to try more on the menu. We weren't disappointed. Everything we've tried has been a hit. You won't be disappointed by anything on the menu. The staff are friendly and remembered us from the previous night. Pamika remembered where we sat; Andrew remembered our names. We felt welcomed and well fed. This is our new favorite Boston restaurant.

Wish I can eat the crab curry everyday. The crispy pork belly was also excellent. My complaint is the serving size and the price. Had to spend almost $90 just to feed two people. No drinks or dessert or apps.

Had a great dinner here with good drinks! Service was fantastic and timely. We had the beef massaman and larb ped both of which was good. Defiantly tapas size in portion. Flavorful but watch out because the spice creeps up on you! Cocktails were also good and not too sweet

It’s expensive but good. I loved the attention to detail with the dishes, for example the lemonade had a beautiful purple and yellow gradient and the crab rice cakes were delicately garnished. As for the main dishes, I loved that they were decently spicy. The fried chicken was the star for me personally though, I don’t think I have had chicken skin so crisp but the meat so tender, at least the way it was cooked. The beef curry is very savory and the veggies aromatic. Great experience although prepare for it to be bush and tight!

Delicious food, with beautiful, bold flavors. The pomelo salad was amazing, so salty and citrusy. The tiger shrimps were cooked well... and huge. Nice atmosphere for sharing a meal.

I went for a friend’s birthday without reservation and, luckily, they got us seating by the bar as the restaurant was full. The service was very fast, they worked around allergies pretty well, and all dishes felt like they were made for sharing so we did. By the end, they offered us to go boxes free of cost (a true miracle these days). I highly recommend you to reserve a table if you come with more than 3 people, because seating is limited but don’t let it be an obstacle between you and this amazing food!!!

We went a couple years ago and loved it, so we were excited to go back again. We made a reservation since we know the place is small. We were pretty disappointed, to be honest. I’m not sure we’ll come back again. The food and drinks were just okay (more details below), the restaurant AC had a hard time keeping up with the heat and the very tight seating, and the service was fine but not anything great. For food, we got the pomelo salad, razor clams, pig cheek, crab fried rice, fried chicken, and then their sticky rice dessert. The pomelo salad was the best - nice textures, some nice spice, delicious ingredients. It was the first dish to hit the table and we were excited to get more. But then everything else was sort of sad. The fried chicken was crispy but not really what I expect for fried chicken (was barely breaded). The razor clams were a bit gritty (but the flavor was nice). The pork cheek tasted a lot more like pork belly, and maybe that’s an unfair assumption, but it overall lacked flavor and was really chewy. The crab fried rice was really lackluster too. It needed way more seasoning and more crab. The dessert was tasty at least. The table next to us actually asked for more salt and seasoning for their food. I didn’t notice what they had, but that doesn’t seem like a great sign to me. The cocktails were just okay. My partner and I each had two, and we didn’t even really like one drink each. We love pandan but the flavoring was so strong that it was off-putting. If they are using a pandan essence, they can use less of it. There was nothing that wowed us about the other cocktails we each had. I don’t mind an intimate restaurant setting with really tight tables, truly, but the real candles on the table are scary when you’re trying to slide through tables to get up. And it’s not their fault the weather is gross and hot, but the restaurant felt really uncomfortable to sit in. We were all sweating. Last, the service. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. No explanation of anything, no recommendations, no description of food when it hits the table. They did check in on us, cleared the table, made sure we had water, and didn’t let our cocktail glasses sit empty. But for what we knew we were going to spend on the meal, I wanted a little more. Overall, I’m sad it wasn’t as good as I remembered. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. Maybe the server being more interactive and helping us build out choices better would’ve helped. Maybe they are having an off day. But for the price we pay, I don’t know I’ll give them another try and risk a similar experience.

Mahaniyom is a Thai Tapas place, well known in the Boston area located right outside of the Longwood area and in the heart of Brookline. The staff are quite friendly in this location, seating us nearly instantly and making sure things such as drinks are taken care of, food is brought out in a timely manner, and ensuring the night was enjoyable. It is a bit crowded and loud in the place, though it could just be our seating we were in. We got a wide range of dishes to try, such as the Khao Tang Na Tung, Salted pepper Pork Cheek with Sticky Rice, Kang Puu (Crab Curry), and the BBQ & Crispy Pork Rice, before ending with Lod Chong for dessert. The Khao Tang Na Tung was quite good, with a nice chili coconut sauce on it. The toppings blended together nicely, though it was kind of messy to eat. The Salted Pepper Pork Cheek was on the spicier side, with the salt and pepper packing a punch but not too overwhelming. With the Sticky rice, it was quite good and went really well with it. The BBQ & Crispy Pork Rice wasn't too special in our opinion, as it felt very average, and almost tasted similar to Char Siu sauce and like a Siu Yuk. The dish did well to satisfy though, and came with a dipping sauce similar to what we believe is Tamarind. The highlight of the night was the Kang Puu, The crab curry. It was very distinct, with vermicelli noodles and bean sprouts served on the side, and coconut smell. The coconut smell was a bit overwhelming, but the curry was quite good, not too spicy and not oily at all. The vermicelli went well with it, but I think that the sticky rice paired with it just as well. We also tried the Lod Chong, which was like a pandan coconut dessert with jelly on the inside. It was a bit of a disappointment due to the size and also it didn't really taste like much, but we were already stuffed by the end of it. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely would go back.

Mike's Pastry is an iconic Italian bakery that has been serving delectable pastries since 1946. Located in Boston, this beloved dessert spot offers a wide array of treats, including cannoli, gelato, biscotti, and oversized cookies. The menu features an impressive selection of cannoli flavors such as Nutella, pistachio, espresso, amaretto, and lemon. Despite being popular among tourists, the wait for their famous cannolis is well worth it.
So happy to see Mike's Pastry's in the train station. There was no line on a Saturday afternoon. We picked up a piece of tiramisu, which was delicious. They had many delicious options to choose from even though this is a much smaller location. We will definitely be back next time we take the train.

Before I even get to how good the cannolis are… we were stunned by the line at the North End branch, especially after already waiting 45 minutes at Neptune Oyster. So we detoured to this other branch instead. Hardly any wait (just 5 minutes!) and it was worth it. The cannoli was out of this world: crisp shell, rich ricotta filling. I loved the classic ricotta, sometimes less really is more. Highly recommend walking the extra 10 minutes to this branch inside a food court. Bonus: air conditioning and actual seats to enjoy your cannoli in comfort.

Tried a few things here that turned out good. The strawberry cheesecake was great. It was quite rich, but flavorful. The pineapple coconut pastry was also on point. It was lighter but tasted good and wasn't overly sweet. I'd try again for sure.

I have been a customer at Hanover for years. Great cannolis and great service , kind staff, always welcoming customers. Instead, after three times I was al Mike’s Pastry close to North Station , I gave up. I erased that selling point from my list of shops. The lady who is there looks like she does not like her job and like she does not like customers. Never a sign of kindness. Never a word. Always looking at you bothered . If you ask anything she barely answers with an annoyed silent gesture. If you do not see that mute gesture because you are distracted you have to ask again. So, your asking twice can cause a major annoiance. Never any more !

Fenway Park is a historic and intimate ballpark located in Boston, known as the home of the Red Sox and a venue for big-name concerts. It holds a significant place in Boston's built environment, alongside landmarks like Faneuil Hall and the Freedom Trail. The stadium offers behind-the-scenes tours during the off-season and hosts a popular summer concert series.
Fenway is a iconic and historic ballpark. This was such an amazing experience. Saw the Red Sox vs. Houston Argos game (2-1 home win for Red Sox) and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere and energy from the crowd was amazing and the lighteffects after the win were super cool. Food and beverages were okay priced, not too expensive in my opinion. Great experience being there!

This is the best tour I’ve been on in a long time! The street and local atmosphere is something out of a movie, and the tour is very affordable and informative. The guide was fantastic, telling fun stories of his life in Boston and his 10 years working at the field. We saw everything from the original seats to the press box, the green monster, and the special VIP museum that holds World Series balls, bats, uniforms and memorabilia from over the decades. I would recommend this tour to anyone I know, especially baseball lovers. So worth the time and money!

Thanks to Kevin and Zach (apologise if I spelled them wrong) The tour was amazing! They provided clear and touchable introduction about Fenway Park, the immortal and irreplaceable history of Boston Red Sox, including each detail on and off the court, and what did here happened somethings that were truly iconic, and more little adorable sides of the park, such as Fenway Farm! I was impressed by every step I took without a doubt! It was worthy to take a tour here although there's no baseball matches now. Glad to be here to calmly know everything about Fenway!

We took a guided tour of the Fenway stadium. Booked just about 45mins before the tour from the kiosk at the Gate D entrance on the Jersey street. Great experience. The tour guide, Abby (if I remember correctly), was great - very informed as well as great style of presenting facts. With very long history and so many interesting things happened with the Red Sox, the tour was definitely worth it. We don’t watch baseball and have only elementary knowledge of rules but it was still very much easy to understand. Definitely to be done if you’re in Boston.

This was my first time visiting Fenway Park, and even though my team wasn’t playing, I knew I couldn’t come to Boston without checking it out. I’m so glad I did, the energy inside the stadium was incredible! From the moment I walked in, I felt the history and passion that make Fenway such a special place for baseball fans. The crowd was electric, and what really stood out was the sense of community. The entire stadium came together, singing songs, cheering, and living and breathing every moment of the game. I felt completely swept up in the excitement. We just so happened to be there for the game the Red Sox clinched their spot in the playoffs with a walk-off win! The stadium absolutely erupted. I’ve never felt that kind of excitement at a ball game before. You didn’t have to be a Red Sox fan to appreciate the moment. Being there for that walk-off and watching the team celebrate was something I’ll never forget. Fenway isn’t just a place to watch baseball it’s a place to feel it. The atmosphere, the history, the energy it all makes for an incredible experience.

A great stadium for baseball games and concerts! Went to see a concert here the other night and had a great time. Security getting in was easy and signage to find our seats was pretty straightforward. There were a good number of concession stands and bathrooms. For a concert it wasn’t the best sound quality ever, but it was good. It’s a great venue, we’ll definitely be back!

Baseball fan or not, you’ll be a fan of Fenway. Yah, we watched the game (they lost) but we also walked to see all…the…things. Old ticket booths turned into exhibits, Green Monster seats, legendary vibes everywhere. Everyone does the 7th inning stretch, but the fans elevated the experience with the 8th inning…Thanks for a great night, Boston

decided to take the tour of Fenway Park, and our guide Joe was extremely knowledgeable. Not only about the stadium and the players, but baseball in general. We went into the press box, up to seats on top of the Green Monster, viewed the garden and the Red Seat!! Great tour, great information 👍

The Barking Crab is a lively seafood joint located by the waterfront, offering open-air picnic-table dining with stunning views of the Boston Harbor. It stands as a remnant of the old Seaport neighborhood and provides a coastal summer clam shack atmosphere with its tented roof and picnic tables. Originally starting as a seasonal restaurant in 1994, it now includes a more permanent wing with an old-timey tavern feel while maintaining its seaside ambiance throughout.
Nice place on the water. Food is great! Oysters are so good and fresh I only got a picture of the shells! Fish and chips are good. The lobster, shrimp and scallops were delicious. It’s a bit loud inside the restaurant but the food makes up for it.

Really nice restaurant on the water in Boston. We had the fried clams and crab cakes as a starter, both were beautiful, especially the crab cakes. We had the lobster roll and the baked haddock, with potatoes instead of rice. Food was good and atmosphere was really pleasant. Unfortunately the staff were a rude and rushed us on multiple occasions, especially taking my plate whilst I was still eating, which was disappointing. Still enjoyed the meal and the vibe

I had my first lobster roll in Boston at Barking Crab. The place is so nice, colorful and lively. The lobster roll portion is a bit small for the price so not a great value for money. The taste is good, but not my favorite in Boston. Their fries are simple with no seasoning but so good. Service is very fast which is great given how crowded the place is.

The Barking Crab is a Boston classic. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and is located right on the water. The Staff are all very attentive and tables get cleaned constantly through the meal. We waited 15-20 minutes for 2 lobster rolls. Food service is perfectly timed given the size of the restaurant. We got the traditional and the warm lobster rolls. I recommend if you were a group of two ordering both and getting them cut in half so you can try each one. Both of them are very good . My only critique is that the buns and the rolls are slightly dry. As a result, we did not completely finish the buns after we were done the lobster. There is too much bun compared to the amount of lobster, or maybe it is just a very shallow bun. Which gives the illusion of there being more lobster than there actually is. Nonetheless, the price is OK for the amount of lobster you get on the roll. The side fries and pickles are great. Cole slaw is delicious. Though it is not the best lobster roll I’ve ever had, the atmosphere, the staff and the view of the city make up for it.

The food was awesome we had the lobster, lobster bisc, lobster Mac and cheese and the portions were perfect. We waited for a friend and they didn't mind letting us sit and wait. The service was on point from everyone not just our waiter/waitress. Highly recommend taking the a chance if your near and want some good seafood.

In town for the weekend and we were looking for somewhere to eat delicious seafood and we stumbled upon The Barking Crab. We had a party of seven, we were seated promptly and the atmosphere was everything you’d expect from a seafood restaurant right on Boston Harbor. We ordered crab rolls, calamari, crab, a Cesar salad and lobster bisque. Every one of us enjoyed our meals, especially my son who had crab for the first time. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We definitely would return again when visiting Boston.

If you are in Boston near the Seaport area and looking for seafood, the barking crab is where you have to go. The atmosphere is fantastic as it’s an outside tent and very relaxed right on the water. The food is absolutely some of the best seafood I’ve ever had, especially these scallops. The service staff was super friendly and efficient. We were seated within 15 minutes when we arrived at 4:45 PM on a Sunday and our food arrived amazingly fast. I’m usually not one for a lot of words, but I can’t say enough about this place and how highly I recommend it.

Not impressed with food quality and quantity. Atmosphere was good. Clamp chowder was bland. Raw oyster were decent. Crab roll was ok. Now since I am chasing for Lobster rolls, it was my least favorite spot out of the 4 I been to on this trip to Boston. There was Barely any meat... mostly bread. To me it should be half the price since it was half the meat. Out of the 4 here is my rating. #1 was Saltie Girl (tons of lobster meat on the roll) #2 was James hook. #3 James hook

Cake shop
Modern Pastry Shop is a family-run Italian bakery in Boston's North End, known for its delectable pastries, cakes, pies, and cookies. While it may not have the same level of fame as some neighboring bakeries, it has been in business for almost 100 years. The shop offers an array of treats including butter cookies, raspberry bowtie cookies, rainbow Venetian cookies, cheesecake, and lobster tail pastries.
This place was recommended by a friend and it was amazing! There are so many treats to chose from! A group of us split a Boston cream, strawberry shortcake, hostess cupcake and peanut butter cupcake. They were all amazing! The lines can be long, but moves fast and worth the wait.
Kevin S — Google review
We had heard about this place and wanted to come there to check it out. There are two parts of the bakery, the take out portion and then a small seating area for dining in. We decided to dine in and had americanos and cannolis. They do have a gluten free cannoli which was delicious! The coffee and cannolis were excellent, and we were happy to have the experience at Modern Pastry! It is a cash only place, as an added piece of info.
Jeff — Google review
We came with one mission and that was for the cannolis. Modern Pastry Shop delivered, crisply, sweetly, and with just the right amount of powdered sugar chaos. This bakery feels like an Italian tradition. I loved it the moment I stepped in! The display window boasts trophies, vintage photos, and branded merch, hinting at a legacy of excellence. But it’s the dessert case that truly steals the show, rows of chocolate-dipped cannoli, glossy cupcakes, and pastries so artfully arranged they practically beg for a photo op. We grabbed a pair of cannolis and settled into their seated section with espressos in hand. It’s a cozy nook tucked away from the bustle, perfect for savoring each bite. The cannoli shell was crisp and golden, the filling rich and velvety, and the chocolate-dipped ends added a decadent finish. The almonds were a nice touch as well. Beyond the sweets, the shop doubles as a gourmet market, with shelves of pasta, olive oil, and imported snacks. Service was quick and friendly, even with a steady stream of customers. Modern Pastry was a great play’s to grab a classic cannoli, a strong espresso, and a seat to enjoy them both.
Holly — Google review
It's no wonder there is a long line. The cannoli here is made fresh to order and filled with cream and powdered sugar. The crunch gives it a lovely texture. I would even say it's better than the ones I've tried in Italy! I ordered the creme brulee and the Napoleon as well, but none compared to the cannoli. It's truly better than the rest. The lobster tail is another popular choice. They also have coffee and other drink options. The line moved fast and the staff was great at efficiency. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. There are even tables to sit, although I did not. I ate mine near the swings. It's cash only.
Amy B — Google review
Later in the afternoon, we headed to Modern Pastry Shop, a cherished institution nestled on Hanover Street in Boston’s historic North End. From the moment we entered, the space felt warm and inviting, with sunlight spilling across gleaming display cases and the subtle, comforting aroma of freshly prepared ricotta and baked delights filling the air. Each pastry appeared meticulously arranged, reflecting the bakery’s reputation for time-honored excellence. We indulged in two cannolis, both filled with traditional ricotta—one topped with chopped almonds, the other with pistachios. Each bite was an absolute delight. The shells were crisp yet delicate, perfectly complementing the luxuriously creamy filling. The pistachio added a gentle nutty depth, while the almond brought a subtle crunch, creating a harmonious interplay of texture and flavor. It was an experience that felt both comforting and refined, the kind of simple pleasure elevated through care and craftsmanship. Every element of the visit, from the welcoming environment to the impeccably executed pastries, made a lasting impression. Modern Pastry Shop is a place I would return to without hesitation, and those cannolis, in particular, are a treat I would eagerly enjoy again.

Modern Pastry is Boston's best for cannoli and freshly baked Italian pastries. The connoli shells are baked in advance (daily) but they aren't filled until the moment you order them amazing, and they are ridiculously delicious! Modern has been here for more than 50 years. Mike's Pastry, located on the opposite side you may be better known for tourists, but Modern is the place where the locals go! 100%recommend!

Just an absolutely fantastic dessert shop! So many delicious options for you to choose from! We got some take away cake and tart to take back to eat at the hotel because we were too full from dinner. My most favourite was a limoncello cake, it's so soft and tasty 🤤

Located in the Waterfront/North End area of Boston, the Boston Sail Loft is a beloved maritime establishment offering stunning views through its floor-to-ceiling windows. This no-frills joint is a seafood lover's paradise, serving up classic Boston dishes like perfectly-light battered and fried haddock and award-winning clam chowder. The generous portions of fish and chips and lobster rolls make it a go-to spot for locals.
You have to go here!! Trust me, you won’t regret it! It’s a cute little shack right on the water, great location. The host was amazing from the start. He told us it would be about a 45 minute wait - which we were willing to do. Right as we were gonna put our name in, two spots opened up at the bar and we got right in! I got the clam chowder and my boyfriend got the lobster bisque. The chowder was the best I’ve ever had. Generous portion, piping hot, great flavor. The bisque had huge chunks of lobster in it, which was great. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. We loved looking out the window at the harbor while we ate. 12/10 We can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Boston!
Taylor B — Google review
It's right off the water, bustling with people even on a weekday. The wait was about 20 min but well worth the wait. Andrea was my server and she made great suggestions, very personable and delivered awesome service. My glass was never empty, the food came out hot and quick. My party tried the clam chowder and it was one of my favorites so far in Boston. The lobster roll was juicy- the traditional mayo one did not disappoint the group. I ordered the fish and chips and that was really good too! The atmosphere is crowded but you can hear the people you're with. Definitely very busy and packed. It's a must try if you are craving some seafood!

Seafood spot on the water with cozy vibes, and possibly the best clam chowder ever. Went here with the family on a Tuesday, sat down at a 4 top near the window right away. Kids got basics - grilled cheese and Mac and cheese, and they were happy. Our fried clam appetizer was probably the one thing I could have skipped - it was fine but nothing special, and expensive. Bowl of clam chowder was the standout - creamy but not too heavy, herby, full of clams and potatoes. It was honestly perfect. This is exactly what is needed when it’s 30 degrees outside. My wife got the fish and chips, and I got a halibut/lobster special. Both of our meals were great. I feel that beer batter tempura fish is the ultimate way to do fish and chips, and although this isn’t that it was still pretty good. The halibut was well cooked, flaky, juicy, and the lobster sauce of course kicked it up a notch. I hear the lobster rolls here are good as well, but we didn’t try it today. Can’t go wrong here I believe.

Boat captain recommended the place so we went for lunch today . She was right 100%. We went right past noon and was told about 45 min wait but we got seated in about 20 min. Best lobster roll and lobster bisque I ever had. Lobster ravioli was on point and fried shrimp and clam were very light butter and great. Shrimp scampi sauce lemon flavor was little too overpowering but nice garlic flavor with huge shrimps. Each dish is about $40 and bit pricy for lunch but well worth spending it Highly recommended

We were here the week of November 12 for our anniversary twice! The first time we came to try the recommended clam chowder (which is amazing!) and the second we came back for our anniversary dinner and had the lobster rolls (and more chowder!). The restaurant was warm and cozy and the service both times was above and beyond! Can’t wait to be back in the Boston area for more of the clam chowder and good times!

Boston Sail Loft delivers that classic, no-frills New England charm that makes you feel instantly anchored in the heart of Boston. The clam chowder is truly exceptional—rich, creamy, and loaded with fresh clams, it sets the standard for what Boston chowder should be. The lobster roll is equally impressive, generously filled with sweet, perfectly cooked lobster and served in a simple, traditional style that lets the ingredients shine. The entire experience feels deeply authentic, from the waterfront views to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that captures the city’s maritime spirit and keeps you coming back for the timeless flavors and unmistakable sense of place. A must-stop for anyone craving a true Boston experience.

Boston Sail Loft prepares the best lobster in all of Boston harbor. Their steamed lobster, lobster roll, and lobster mac and cheese are all phenomenal dishes that are generously portioned. There’s usually a wait of 30+min and you cannot make reservations ahead; however, it is absolutely worth the wait!

Always a treat whenever we come to Boston! The Seafood Diablo is a personal favorite, and the clam chowder is a must, among the very best that side of the USA! Also, the Boston cream pie was also very yummy and cakey- a little pricey, but good. They are very busy, but wait times are surprisingly not bad even when they're busy. 🦞💙

Yankee Lobster is a casual, counter-serve seafood spot located near the Boston Fish Pier. It offers fresh lobster and crobster rolls, fish stew, blackened salmon, fried shrimp platters, and more. The restaurant provides a charming Seaport dining experience with outdoor patio seating that overlooks the harbor. Visitors can savor buttery lobster rolls and other seafood options like crab cake sandwiches and stuffed haddock while enjoying picturesque views of the Boston Inner Harbor.
Get in line to order, then find a table to sit down. They will bring the food to your table. We ordered the traditional lobster roll with fries ($41), the garden salad ($7) with added lobster meat ($24), and the fried calamari ($16). Quantities were more than adequate. The lobster roll was the largest we’ve head. The best part was the lobsters, they were fresh & plenty. The fried calamari was fresh & lightly fried perfectly. Everything was delicious, worth a repeat visit.
Hung D — Google review
What an excellent place!! This is beyond 5 stars. The crobster (lobster and crab) was amazing with tons of fresh meat in a bun. It was not salty at all or mixed w mayo or aoli sauce so it was perfect naturally so you could appreciate the meat. It came w fries that I didn’t like - not real crispy, too thick and didn’t have good flavor for the potato. And the steamers were also fresh and lots of fun w butter. Indoor and outdoor seating and outdoor seating was really nice because they have heat lamps and it’s enclosed. It’s toasty for outdoor seating even when it’s 45 degrees F outside so very nice. I would eat that crobster daily!
Karina K — Google review
Easygoing Seaport spot that’s been around forever and even had its moment on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. The clam chowder is the clear standout: thick, rich, and about as comforting as it gets. The lobster roll is generous and well done, though not quite city-best. The Bloody Mary is strong, spicy, and packed with extras, a great match for the seafood. Service is friendly but light, somewhere between counter and table service. The setting is casual with indoor and outdoor seating and a relaxed harbor feel. You’ll probably like it for what it is: a solid, classic Boston seafood stop that hits the spot, even if it won’t change your life.

It does not get any better than this! Lobster roll here is one of the best that l have ever had! ice cold biggest chunks of lobster meat mmmm mmmm! The fries were crispy and hot and the cole slaw was fresh and cold. One of my favorites in Boston. Lobster roll is a must!! In a city where clam chowder is huge here it was okay not my top choice...But that lobster roll has my mouth watering as we speak! 100% recommend!
Hagz — Google review
It is an intresting place. It looks like shack by the water, but serves fine restaurant quality food. We tried three types of lobsters. They were fantastic. Lobster bisque was outstanding. Very often chefs overload it with pepper. This one was perfect, not too salted, not really spicy. We had a dinner and next day ordered take out for the road.
Alex Z — Google review
Always a must visit for me when I visit Boston! Amazing lobster rolls, I always either get the traditional or the hot buttered roll. You can't go wrong either way. The lobster bisque also has a ton of delicious lobster meat and medium is a pretty decent sized portion for two to share. Also tried a crab roll this time, very delicious as well. Tons of crab meat with a nice fresh mayo dressing!
Kevin L — Google review
Ordered the crab cake sandwich and lobster bisque to go. The place is small inside and the music was too loud. Crab cake was over cooked and dry but still edible with the sauce. Too much French fries. Would’ve preferred just a plain baked potato instead. Lobster bisque was a little salty and had mostly claw pieces. No flavor. So disappointed . Paid $32 . Save your money and try someplace else. Nothing to write home about. 👎🏼

Eataly is an upscale Italian food hall that offers a variety of dining options, quick-service counters, and groceries. It was first established in 2002 and has since expanded to over 35 locations worldwide. The concept behind Eataly is to provide high-quality food, both prepared dishes and ingredients, in one location where visitors can dine, shop for products, and even participate in cooking classes.
While the originator may be a bum, Eataly is a great conception of an Italian food hall. Somewhat reminiscent of the grocery stores in Italy, there are some great products and prepared foods in this store. It can be very busy but it's a large store so it was fun to explore. Great for a meal or a snake.

Eataly is ok. The food is pretty good, the service is good, and the setting is fine. For the price, though, I cannot recommend it. Even the taste of Napoli costs nearly 30 dollars a person for small portions of pasta without meat! There are many other options throughout Boston that serve better pasta for much cheaper.

Ok so let’s be clear here this place is not just a dining establishment…they have an amazing and authentic Italian market, which was incredible to look through. We got the pizza and a sandwhich and it was goof nothing special special but was a solid quick bite. I would say there could be some improvements to the service and also maybe like just ensuring that you get the freshest food - we were thrown off by some of the staff sniffing a container of meat sauce haha…would definitely recommend you stop in though and grab a sandwhich on their amazing fresh bread that is really the huge selling point here for us. Imagine stepping into an enchanting evening at Eataly Boston—a true feast for the senses! Picture this: The Barolo Wine Dinner, where every detail sang of sophistication and taste. With no less than four courses, each artistically paired with a luscious Barolo wine, your taste buds were in for a real treat. As you strolled in, the anticipation built. The culinary wizards worked their magic right before your eyes, transforming simple ingredients into masterpieces. From the first sizzle to the final flourish on the plate, it was a spectacle of culinary artistry. Every bite was an adventure, an explosion of flavors that could only be described as downright extraordinary. It was as if each dish was saying, “Hello, darling! Enjoy this!” And enjoy it you did—every morsel was a symphony of taste, earning the coveted 'chef's kiss' for its perfection. This wasn’t just dinner; it was an experience, a gathering of food lovers basking in an evening of gourmet delights and elegant wines. So, next time you think of dining, remember, there's nothing quite like an evening hosted by the masters at Eataly Boston. I can't wait to try the cooking classes! Update 11/13/2025 Here’s my honest take on Eataly’s Holiday Festa: A total blast. Picture at least 15 wine stations, each pouring six or more bottles, so you could compare styles without rushing—silky reds, crisp whites, a few surprises. The food stations were just as thoughtful: briny-fresh oysters, perfectly seared steak, turkey with savory sausage stuffing, and decadent truffles. The dessert finish—cannoli and a delicate pear cake—felt like a hug. Fresh florals from Bloom made the space feel festive instead of crowded, and the live DJ kept the energy high without drowning out conversation. I’m officially hooked on their events; I haven’t attended one I wouldn’t happily repeat. Eatly is a solid spot if you’re looking for a quick meal that still feels fresh. The food comes out really fast, which is great when you’re in a rush, though the flavors can be a bit on the bland side. Nothing bad, just not super exciting. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience much better. It’s clean, efficient, and reliable for a casual bite. If they added a bit more seasoning or boldness to the dishes it’d easily be a 5-star place.

Beantown Pub is a stylish coffee bar and traditional American pub located in the heart of historic downtown Boston, along the Freedom Trail. It's a popular spot for both tourists exploring the trail and locals looking for a casual hangout. The menu features classic pub fare like wings, cheese fries, and fried pickles, as well as New England favorites such as fried chicken, pot roast, and fish & chips.
This place is a 10/10. We were in Boston for 5 days over St Patrick's day and we first stopped at Beantown after our flight. Immediately, we were greeted with amazing food and a great staff. Over the next few days, we found ourselves returning to Beantown for the incredible food, welcoming staff, and the rugby games. We tried everything from the lobster roll, burgers, wraps, hotdogs, and wings. Everything was so good. Everything you'd want on your first trip to Boston. Beantown can easily be a one stop shop for the best wings, lobster roll, and wraps in town. I highly recommend this pub. It truly made our trip special and allowed us to introduce our Irish friend to the best first experience in America. Special thanks to Sharon who was so generous and hospitable to us. We felt like regulars after only a day. Our wait staff and bartenders were incredible as well. Matt, Michael, Bailey, and Kathryn made this place extra special during our stay.

Fun bar with two different eateries, a coffee house on one side and bar on the other. Stopped in to try the famous Boston baked beans with brown bread. Beans are cooked in house, sweet and tender. Bread for me was too sweet but others in my group liked it. Nice beer selection too and a fun take on drinking Sam Adams while looking at him. His burial site is across from the bar.

A pretty unique place where you can "drink a cold Samuel Adams while viewing... a cold Samuel Adams" 🤣. Took a picture from the table nearest to the window and facing the grave. Asked for special shaved ice drink with Orange flavor and whiskey. It was delicious. Sometimes worth asking things off the menu! Tried the fried pickel for the first time, apparently per my friend who had tried different fried pickles in the past that it is one of the best he has had - crispy outside with just right amount of batter and the thickness of the sliced pickel was also perfect 😎👌👌. Had a good time there.

Very busy but good vibes. Food was good, especially the lobster rolls and lobster tacos. Beans were meh.

Great place! Food was good, loved the sports atmosphere. They were short on help, but our server was fantastic! I have a lobster roll and was happy with it!

Good food, the pastrami sandwich was a little bit skimpy on the pastrami compared to other places that pile it on, (but it wasn't stingy) and it was really good. The Sam Adams on tap here can't be found anywhere else except Boston from what I hear. And it's really good. Worth the effort. You can see Sam Adams gravestone out of the front windows of the bar. We had a Sam Adams while looking at his grave.

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant
Oleana, located in Cambridge, is a renowned restaurant founded by award-winning Chef Ana Sortun in 2001. The warm and inviting interior or peaceful garden patio provide the perfect setting to enjoy inventive Eastern Mediterranean dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients. Oleana's kitchen has been a mainstay of the Cambridge dining scene and has received numerous accolades for its bold fusion of Middle Eastern flavors in small plates.
The food and service were excellent. We maybe a little too close to our neighbor diners. We can hear all their conversations. I do recommend booking in advance. It was a full house by 7pm on a Friday night. I really love the garden salad and bake Alaska dessert. Those two items were really a unique take on something commonplace. All the other dishes were great too!

Pretty pricy. Spent $100 for 2 people. They have a rotating menu but if its there, i would recommend the sultan’s delight. The short rib was super soft but not overcooked and too greasy. I thought everything else was pretty standard. Not bad, but not mind blowing or worth the price. The atmosphere and service i would say reflect the high cost.
C민아 — Google review
Oleana is a cozy Mediterranean-inspired small plates restaurant with a lovely ambiance and great service — but for me, the food overall was just okay. We ordered quite a few dishes to sample the variety, and while some stood out, others didn’t quite hit the mark. Zaatar Bread: The date butter that came with it was mind-blowing — honestly the best part of the meal. The whipped goat cheese wasn’t for me, but that’s more of a personal preference. Ricotta & Corn Dumplings: Very mild and soothing, but the texture felt a little sticky. Wouldn’t be my top recommendation unless you like that soft, sticky feel. Fatteh: Their best seller — and I can see why. Definitely a creative twist on the traditional version and pretty flavorful. Dark Leafy Greens: Cooked in a garlicky something that reminded me of an Indian home-style dish. Loved this one — comforting and familiar. Spinach Falafel: The beet tzatziki was nice, but the falafel itself felt gooey and undercooked. Baked Alaska: Got this to go since we were too full, but it’s apparently their star dessert. Midnight Ramble (cocktail): Too icy for my taste, but still refreshing and nicely balanced. Service was wonderful — friendly, attentive, and efficient. Parking is available right across the street, and the Central Red Line station is close by if you’re coming by train. We went on a Sunday night, and the only reservation available was at 8:30, which says a lot about how popular the place is. If you’re going with two people, I’d suggest starting with four small plates and ordering more if you’re still hungry. Overall, a nice experience, but for me, it didn’t fully live up to the hype.
Ramya A — Google review
We made a reservation a month ago. I was really curious to know why the reservation slots fill up so fast, and what all the hype is about. This place really lives up to its hype. Small, cozy and intimate setting, that serves robust flavours. I fell in love with each dish I had. For me, all the flavors blending in my mouth was a new experience. The different flavors were intense and balanced. The portions are small but they will leave your heart content. Our favourite was Sultan’s Delight and Vermont Quail Kebab, but the other three dishes we got were fantastic too. We’d definitely visit them again.
Chandan S — Google review
Za’tar bread and fatten were definitely my favorite. I enjoyed all the dishes. Especially the meat ones, wasn’t the biggest fan of their shrimp but seething else especially the baked Alaska and lamb were phenomenal.
Navya S — Google review
Wonderful wonderful dinner location! We arrived right when it opened with a reservation for 5:30, and we were placed at the tables next to the garden. The style is a bit more traditional, and the flavors are incredible! My personal favorite dish was the Shrimp, but the spinach falafel was heavenly, and I don’t know if I can’t have any average falafels again 😢

I had dinner at Olena in Cambridge and was really impressed. The restaurant has a simple and unpretentious vibe — nothing flashy, just a clean and comfortable space where the focus is clearly on the food. It feels welcoming and calm, perfect for a relaxed evening out. We chose the Chef’s Choice of Vegetable Meze and Dessert, and it was absolutely worth it. A series of small, vegetable-centered dishes came out one by one, each well-seasoned and carefully prepared. There was a good balance of warm and cold plates, different textures, and interesting flavors. Even without any meat or fish, the meal felt thoughtful and satisfying. You could tell the kitchen puts effort into getting the details right. I also ordered a cocktail, and it was excellent — well-balanced, not too sweet, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The drinks menu isn’t overly long, but what they offer is crafted with the same care as the food. Service was smooth and friendly — present when needed, but never pushy. Our server explained the dishes briefly and kept the pace of the meal just right. Dessert was a few small sweet bites, not heavy, but just enough to end the night on a good note. I’ll definitely return. Olena is a gem for anyone who enjoys plant-forward food, great drinks, and a relaxed, no-pressure dining experience.

My favorite restaurant in the state, one of the best foodie experiences ever! The Fatteh is heavenly, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is welcoming and attentive, and they have a convenient parking area as well. The baked Alaska is incredible.

Nestled in the heart of Boston, the Boston Public Market is a vibrant year-round indoor marketplace that showcases the best of local and New England food. With around 40 diverse vendors, visitors can explore an array of offerings from fresh seasonal produce and fish to gourmet treats like artisanal cheeses and locally crafted chocolates. This bustling market is not just about food; it also features unique gift items such as beautifully crafted serving trays made from local granite and salad bowls carved from fallen trees.
What a cute and fun space with great vibes! There are stores to browse offering everything from gifts to plants and more. Interesting food options as well including local ice cream and a bagel shop. Seating isn't plentiful, but I did manage to snag a table. Most of the seating is in an area by the bagel shop. Highly recommend checking it out.

Boston Public Market is a fantastic indoor space filled with local vendors, fresh food, and a great mix of grab-and-go meals, specialty items, and handmade goods. It’s clean, well-organized, and a perfect spot to explore whether you’re a Boston local or just visiting. We love walking through to grab a coffee, a snack, or a fresh meal—there’s always something new to try. You’ll find everything from artisan cheeses and baked goods to farm-fresh produce, flowers, seafood, and unique gifts. It’s a great place to support small, local businesses all under one roof. Tip: It’s right next to Haymarket, so you can stop in after grabbing produce outside, and if you’re looking for a spot to relax, there’s seating inside and public restrooms available. Great in any season, especially on a rainy or cold day!

Boston Public Market was a fun little stop. It’s definitely on the smaller side — we were through it quicker than expected — but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in personality. I grabbed a bagel and a latte and just sat for a bit, taking in the music (they were playing cumbia the whole time — unexpected, but honestly kind of perfect). The vendors were friendly, and there’s a good mix of local treats, snacks, and handmade goods. If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out — just don’t expect a massive market. It’s more like a cozy, curated indoor food hall. Bonus points for the vibe

We had heard about this on a TV show, and we’re so happy we stopped by. There are many different food options here and we enjoyed walking around and trying a few different food items!

Stopped by Boston Public Market for lunch. There were several vendors indoors but I wasn’t able to check out each one unfortunately. Highly recommend Red Apple Farm, their cider donuts are a must. The hard cider was delicious as well! I also tried the rice & beans with chicken tacos from Mr. Tamole. Overall good experience. Definitely recommend making this one of your stops if you’re visiting Boston!

When I travel around the country and around the world I have always stopped in to the local public market or food hall or farmers market . The Boston Public Market is amongst the top ones I have seen in the USA . A combination of local small businesses retail , a mix of various food oriented shopping and of course a great selection of restaurant stalls with their unique flavors . Lively crowd , happy people and good vibes !

A real neat marketplace full of food and gift stalls. There is even a face painting stall for kids. We came on a Saturday and there was a good size farmers market right outside. Lots of fresh vegetables and seafood were on sale here. A good experience.

SRV is a casual-chic wine bar in Boston's South End that offers housemade pastas and small plates, drawing inspiration from Venetian cuisine. The menu features cicchetti, marinated olives, meatballs, cured meats, unique risotto and pasta dishes. The gelato at SRV is egg-free to allow other flavors to stand out, with options like Cookies n Cream with olive oil drizzle and Rocky Road with chocolate, hazelnut, and marshmallow.
We came here right after getting married, and it was the perfect choice! The food was excellent—every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The service was outstanding, some of the best we’ve ever experienced. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely recommend. Good vibes, great food, excellent service. I took a gamble booking a birthday dinner here because I’d seen a review mentioning a vegan tasting menu, but it wasn’t mentioned on the website. When we inquired upon arrival, we were excited to find that this was not a special or arduous request, they had a vegan tasting menu written down and ready to go (they had other dietary restriction tasting menus prepared as well). There was a mix of on- and off-menu items with two each of the small, medium, and large courses, plus dessert. All of the courses were tasty, but the vegan pastas, snap peas, and coconut sorbet really stood out. Good wine list and fun cocktails, too. We had two tastings, four drinks, plus a dessert wine for under $200! Really an incredible value for the experience.

We went there on Monday evening. We got seated immediately as we had reservations. Its a well decorated interior place with dim lighting. Staff is nice. Menu is limited but good variety. We had couple of appetizers, one salad and 2 main course. Food was good. Plating was wonderful. We had one drink and it was ok.

Juntao Y — Google review
I had dinner at SRV on Columbus Avenue in the South End in September 2025 and was blown away by both the quality and the value. The name stands for Serene Republic of Venice — but for me, it had just been a place I’d walked by without really noticing. Now it’s firmly in my notebook as a restaurant to where I absolutely have to return. When my server explained the Arsenale menu $67, she described it as a blind tasting at the chef’s discretion — which means each meal can vary slightly depending on the day and season. I loved that element of surprise, and it explained why some dishes were different from what was printed on the menu. I ordered the Arsenale and also added three extra cicchetti (the boccone, stuffed pepper, and baccalà mantecato) so I could try a wider range of flavors. The progression was impressive: cicchetti to start (including a perfect pork & beef meatball and a mortadella bite with ricotta and pesto), charred broccolini with Fresno pepper sauce served alongside complimentary bread (a thoughtful touch — pairing it with the vegetable course instead of the very beginning meant I could enjoy it without a glucose spike), smoked sea trout with delicate roe, navy beans, baby bok choy (a substitution for the mustard greens and escarole listed on the menu), a luscious white wine butter sauce, and a crisp toast, two pastas (a brown-butter ravioli with summer squash, lemon, and parsley, plus a seasonal rigatoni with broccoli and a creamy mushroom), and finally a profiterole filled with cream, plated with custard and topped with a cherry. I was especially happy that there were plenty of vegetables in the meal. At first I thought I might need to order a salad separately, but I’m glad I didn’t — the broccolini and other vegetable touches were generous and satisfying, and a separate salad would have been too much. Everything was well-executed, but the smoked trout and the charred broccolini were standouts for me. The cicchetti I added on were fun extras and made the meal feel even more complete. For what could have been a carb-heavy dinner, I was surprised that my blood sugar didn’t spike at all. The menu felt balanced — with vegetables, protein, and thoughtful pacing — so instead of feeling weighed down, I left satisfied and comfortable. The interior of SRV is spacious and inviting, with high ceilings, exposed brick, and plenty of natural light from large windows. The mix of modern touches (like hanging lights and marble tables) with rustic details (brick walls, wine racks, and greenery) makes it feel both stylish and comfortable. There’s a sense of openness that makes it easy to relax, whether dining solo or with a group. Service was outstanding. My server was warm and attentive, and I also appreciated that several dishes were delivered by members of the kitchen team. Since I ordered the Arsenale menu, I could feel how closely the staff watched the pacing, making sure each course arrived at just the right time. It created a seamless, polished experience without ever feeling rushed. The pacing was on the fast side — I could have been out in an hour and a half — but I chose to slow myself down to enjoy it. What really impressed me is that they let me order the full tasting menu even though I was dining solo, which made me feel welcome. For $67, the Arsenale is one of the best values in Boston fine dining. Generous, delicious, and thoughtful at every step. I’d absolutely recommend SRV— in fact, I’d put it on my must-do Boston-area restaurant list, right alongside Pammy’s, Giulia, and Mistral. It really is that good.
Kelly C — Google review
With only one day and a half in Boston, so glad I managed to squeeze a booking at SRV. I personally love the sharing plates culture and each plate was outstanding and delicious with a modern twist. The tuna and the crab pasta were my favourite. I definitely recommend if you are in for pasta with a fun modern delicious twist
Camilo T — Google review
Fine, attentive service and inventive cuisine that runs the gamut from small bites (cod and deep-fried mozz) to heaping pasta portions (mine came with anchovies, because I'm weird). The carrot lemon curd pistachio creme cake is a winner. The Chianti was a bright, balanced and fruity delight.
Mikhail Z — Google review
The portions are huuuge, causing my usual strategy of over-ordering to backfire dramatically. Most of the dishes we (2 people) had can easily feed 4 people. Everything was tasty and solid if not super inventive. The tables are close together and unfortunately for us that meant overhearing two ladies whine about their colleagues for 1.5 hours. More eating and less complaining please!

Bar
Uni is a chic and stylish hotel eatery with a sophisticated ambiance, featuring dark wood accents and serving an array of Japanese delicacies such as sashimi, sushi, and unique Asian street food. The restaurant offers an exclusive Edomae-style omakase tasting experience every Thursday night, where guests can indulge in a 20-course meal prepared by the renowned sushi chef Tsuyoshi Takeishi.
We recently visited Boston for our daughter’s swim clinic, and before leaving, a friend of ours (who used to work at Uni) insisted we eat here. I’m so glad we listened to him—Uni is truly exceptional. The Japanese-inspired tasting menu was out of this world. Every dish was creative, beautifully presented, and full of bold, unexpected flavors that worked perfectly together. The cocktails were equally impressive—balanced, inventive, and delicious. Our server, Vee, was phenomenal. He was attentive without being intrusive, anticipated our needs, and made the entire evening feel special. We also had a blast experiencing the tasting menu with our daughter—it made for such a memorable family dinner. We didn’t know exactly what to expect, but Uni completely exceeded our expectations. It’s worth every penny for the quality, creativity, and service. If you’re in Boston, do yourself a favor and make a reservation here. You won’t regret it!

My wife told me about this place sometime ago and suggested I try it with my son. We came during my son college grad weekend and had a o patio table on a beautiful afternoon. The wait staff was excellent and explained every piece of sushi in detail. The sushi was very good but not mind blowing. The chef here had its own unique take and creation of each dishes which IMO stray into fusion style and less traditional. We actually preferred Blue Ribbon sushi on commonwealth ave.

Best dinner of our trip! Doug and V were such good hosts, some of our favorite dishes, that we would not have ordered otherwise, were recommendations from them. Uni spoons were a delicious and a fun way to start our meal, the sake flight was a nice variety, absolutely every dish was delicious and artistically made. Definitely recommend! Sitting at the counter made the whole experience even more enjoyable- I feel like we got a whole lesson in cuisine! Thanks Doug, V and Uni for a wonderful meal with wonderful company.

Was good, but honestly did not blow us out of the water, wouldn’t return. The nigiri was outstanding, and the Brussel sprouts were a favorite. The beets I would not recommend, came with a sort of curry that was just not appetizing. The dumplings we felt were too spicy, and the halibut portion was a tiny square whose flavor was a little bit too salty. Clearly people love it, so maybe it was just us, but wouldn’t go if we didn’t have the credit to help with the bill. Ambiance was great
Cami T — Google review
We tried the daily tasting & enjoyed the ride. Some dishes were new to me; some others were less surprising, but everything was well executed. One drink pairing for two is more than enough. The room is pretty noisy & the chairs at the counter were not the most comfortable but the people working there were nice & interesting :) A good night in Boston!
Sarah D — Google review
Indeed nice presentation for every dish, fresh ingredients, quality sushi but the dishes are all very small, no larger than 2 onces even for the cooked ones, and it’s $23 for a small bowl of noodles. Way overpriced.
Magda J — Google review
Not a single half decent piece in the whole tasting menu. First few apps were decent fish..with ridiculous things on them. Nigiri flights were cold and tasteless fish. The toro tasted like $5 supermarket tuna. They served a huge cut of duck that was super bitter and gamey. And to top it off a gross ice cream with rock hard cake. The one thing we liked were the carrots - seriously. The drinks were tasteless but surprisingly strong. For $225/person it was an absolute ripoff. Avoid at all costs.
Payam A — Google review
Underwhelmed. Barely whelmed, if that. $150 pretax on an a la carte selection of 5 nigiri (which come as 2 pieces)—hamachi, kinmedai, uni, aburi toro, unagi—and a dish of Brussels sprouts (I enjoyed the massaman curry twist but the sprouts were overly charred). Like the next table we overheard, we only came because it’s eligible for Chase Reserve $150 credit. We got boba and tastyburger after. If you wanted to leave here full, would likely be ~$200 a person. PDF menu is finicky on mobile and I don’t know why the daily specials were 2x the price of the same item on the regular menu (confit porcini, lobster) I rarely care or comment on dress code, but some of the staff seemed more suitably dressed for a tech job or for Buttermilk & Bourbon down the street. Maybe do an all-black fit to match the slightly more elegant vibe? The prices certainly attempt to attain that. Service otherwise was great. Ronald got us in and out in 40 min. +1 to the other reviewer who liked Blue Ribbon down the road more

American restaurant
Pammy's is a delightful Italian-inspired New American restaurant nestled in the heart of Cambridge, making it one of the most talked-about spots for natural wine enthusiasts in the Boston area. With its chic yet cozy ambiance, complete with a warm fireplace and elegant decor, it's an ideal venue for romantic occasions like Valentine's Day.
Pammy's prix-fixe experience ended up being the perfect choice for my small special occasion dinner with my parents, who are most familiar with Italian food when dining out but are starting to try new things. I actually can't overstate how much of a success this was for them (and therefore me) lol! We ordered 9 delicious dishes that were all thoughtfully prepared, balanced, and presented, and everyone found a new dish they were surprised by and loved. Food was the star of the show and conversation. The kitchen does great things with pasta and seafood. Space was lovely and still felt intimate despite the close and lively atmosphere - good spot for your fancy little date or special occasion. Service was considerate and friendly, too.
Sam — Google review
Pammy’s exceeded all expectations. I was seated on a plush cushion beside the glowing fireplace, where lit candles flickered inside the hearth — easily the most charming seat in the house. The space feels like an intimate, stylish living room, thoughtfully designed and deeply welcoming. The service was the best I’ve experienced all month — better than Giulia, Talulla, Scampo, nine, and Moëca. The places I just mentioned, they all have stellar service! My server Adam checked on me many times, always anticipating needs before I voiced them. Lee or Leigh at reception was also exceptionally warm and gracious. The $84 tasting menu lets you pick any three dishes, and additional items are $20 each — simple, flexible, and smart. I ordered five items total: Gem Lettuce with Sicilian pistachio and strawberry — a bright, flavorful start. De Koning Mussels — tasty, though a smaller portion. Lumache — their flagship dish since day one. I’m glad I tried it, though next time I’ll go with Adam’s recommendation: the Lasagna Bianca. Bluefish — a standout. This was the best bluefish I’ve had since the golden era of Legal Sea Foods in the 1980s. Highland Farm Venison — my favorite. Perfectly cooked and deeply satisfying. For drinks, I had two mocktails: Persephone — a complex blend of pomegranate, lime, pineapple, cinnamon, and club soda. Last Crusade — the winner of the night. Zero-proof amaro, turmeric, coconut, honey, ginger, and lemon — a sophisticated, golden drink I’d order again without hesitation. Pammy’s wins for its service, comfort, and quiet confidence. Next time, I’m going for the lasagna — and if I’m lucky, I’ll get the fireplace table again.

Atmosphere was amazing, packed on a Wednesday night. Service incredible. Food was good. Our highlights: Lumache, lasagna Bianca, bluefish, affogato for dessert. Expensive, expect to pay >$100 a person with tip and kitchen appreciation fee etc
Cami T — Google review
Very expensive for the amount of food you get. One of my dishes was spaghetti 2.3 which was underwhelming and not seasoned. Branzino was tasty, it came with a tiny piece of fennel but overall nothing special. The only impressive dish was salmon crudo. Dessert is not included, its portion is very small, and the bill also comes with a 6% kitchen fee. I wound not go back.
Magda J — Google review
Often considered one of the best restaurants in Boston and per usual it stood up to it. Everything was cooked perfectly. You could nit pick dishes here and there on minor things, but it doesn't take away from a 10/10 experience. Loved some of the innovative flavor combinations and the service was excellent. Wine pairing could use some refinement, but I appreciated the adventurous choices. A couple of dishes, mainly the chicken really lacked flavor, the gochujang bolognese which is usually a 10 was a little underwhelming. Finally the short bread dessert could do without. But again, 10/10 everything was great.

OK. Get ready for great food! We loved our experience there. Great service, great vibe, fabulous food! But just a few recommendations : Have a light lunch, don’t do any munchies in the afternoon, don’t have all the great bread they bring you when you arrive. Then, if you follow these simple friendly advices, you’ll be able to eat all the fabulous 3 courses that will follow!!! Thank you Pammy’s team. We will come back to see you soon!

One of our favorite spots in Cambridge! We love the idea of choosing our own adventure yet doing a tasting menu. All the wines paired beautifully and the ambience was spectacular. Every dish was well curated and all in all, the dinner was enough food so that you weren't hungry, but you weren't grossly overfed either. Can't wait to go back!

Seafood restaurant
Mooncusser, located in Bay Village, Boston, is a chic restaurant offering seasonal 4-course tasting menus curated by Chef Carl Dooley. The prix fixe selection changes monthly and includes optional wine pairings. While seafood remains a highlight, the menu also features globally inspired dishes like Sichuan pork sausage consomme and venison with Hungarian dumplings.
Phenomenal dinner! Did the tasting menu with wine pairing. They were so accommodating to a few allergy requests and Chef Carl came by our table with a dish, and he is so lovely. The food was so unique, full of flavors that were surprising and very creative. Introduced us to some new foods that normally we would have never tried. What a fantastic experience and our highlight of our visit to Boston!

Mooncusser is one of the very best restaurants in Boston. The space has great vibes and a relaxed, comfortable feel. Service is warm and attentive, cocktails are spot-on, and the wine list offers some excellent choices. But the food - that’s the real star here, and what sets Mooncusser apart from most other restaurants in the city. They truly understand flavor, and their execution is consistently top-notch. The plating can lean on the casual side, which might give the false impression that the food is ordinary - but it is anything but. You’ll encounter new ingredients, bold flavors, and unexpected combinations, and you’ll love them. The prix-fixe menu allows for flexibility, making it easy to suit a wide range of tastes. Mooncusser is firmly in my top two restaurants in Boston, and it absolutely deserves a place on your list. You can thank me later.

Called for a last minute reservation and they generously fit us in. I'll lead with the only 'dud' in the swordfish confit with olive and potato chips. I kind of thought they were riffing on brandade but it didn't coalesce. Otherwise everything was spectacular. The tostada to start, perfectly crisp and fresh. The crab in the corn soup, amazing. The banana pepper with the agnolotti, shockingly delicious. Perfectly prepared chanterelles with the beef. The pear mostarda even had a wonderful balance. Excellent service, attentive, kind, very detail oriented. This is my own pet peeve but I don't think full restaurants ever need to have music playing. I had an absolutely wonderful time and will gladly return the next time I'm in Boston.

We visited Mooncusser to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Each dish was unique and thoughtfully prepared. Even though we knew the ingredients ahead of time, we were blown away by how each dish came together — the flavors, textures, and creativity exceeded our expectations. The use of gastronomy was immaculate, turning each course into something both exciting and sparking discussion. Our server, Grant, deserves special recognition. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality elevated the entire evening. He was knowledgeable, polished, and clearly a veteran in his field — the kind of service that makes a great meal even more memorable. Overall, it was a phenomenal dining experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to see what new creations the team will come up with on their rotating six-week menu.

We enjoyed our dinning experience. It was our first time, and we were celebrating a birthday. They made us feel special. I loved tuna crudo and scallops. They were fantastic. Freshest tuna i ever had. They obviously using high quality ingredients. The soup was delicious. Everything had thought put into it. From flavors to presentation.

The food tasted average in my opinion. Still felt hungry after the fixed menu. Favorite was the mango sherbet. We went as a table of three for a birthday dinner. There was a shared appetizer for the table and I noticed the portion size was the same as a table of 2 which I feel like it should've been a little more. This dinner was from April 2024

The pre fixe menu had two options for each course with the option for que pairing. We opted for the seafood choices and shared a wine pairing. The service was professional and she did a good job of explaining the wines and dishes. The presentation was nice not exceptional given the costs. They add 2% for the back of the house. In the end it’s about $225 per person.

Great place for special occasions! Everything tasted fresh and packed with flavor, it's a shame food items don't get repeated because the soup, lobster ravioli and white chocolate mousse were to die for.

Italian restaurant
Contessa Boston is an opulent rooftop restaurant located at The Newbury Hotel, offering Italian-inspired cuisine with panoramic views of the Boston skyline. Owned by Major Food Group, it's known for its tough-to-score tables and luxurious decor featuring emerald, teal, and rose-hued velvet, pastel stone tile floors, and shiny brass accents. The restaurant serves sumptuous dishes like lobster spaghetti and offers one of the best complementary bread baskets in the city.
This place is a homerun. We went for early dinner on a Sunday. It wasn’t packed (b/c of the hour). Kind hostess, attentive team but without being overly intrusive. Our server, Conner, was informed on the menu, made thoughtful recommendations. My hubby ended up with two glasses of their Chablis by the glass and I had two glasses of the Dom by the glass. Both were perfect and generous pours by the Som. For food, they brought a bread basket with focaccia bread, olives, and parmesan cheese. I the had the meatballs (which were a 10/10) and hubby had the insalade verde (8/10). For mains, I had an amazingly tasty corn ravioli with a brown butter (10/10), and hubby had the scallops with capers (8/10). The overall vibe was fun from the ambiance and the team. A few stuffy patrons but overall, this is a must stop in Boston. We’re foodies used the Michelin stars in SF and this place holds its own. ❤️

Mostly amazing experience. Great rooftop spot and lively atmosphere. The food was mostly extremely good, especially the lobster capellini which was incredible. Also the ice cream was delicious. The oysters were very small and were strangely served with a very spicy sauce - we had to ask for the usual sauce which took a while. The salad was substantial but a bit boring. The salmon was very good. The service was extremely good, with the notable exception of a woman (not sure who) who showed up twice trying to impose on us some wine that was clearly bad. But otherwise they went out of their way to make us happy. There was an amazing lightning show that night. Well worth a visit but I think you need to research carefully what to order.

We came here to celebrate my birthday, and wow, it completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve had my fair share of pricey Italian spots, so honestly, I came in thinking the food would be just okay, and the view and atmosphere would make up for it. I was so wrong. The food was absolutely incredible, super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You have to try the squash carpaccio, it was unlike anything I’ve ever had: light, refreshing, and full of layered flavors. On top of that, the service was outstanding. Honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate. It really does live up to the hype. Tip: Make sure to book a reservation at least two weeks in advance, this place fills up fast!

Contessa was one of the best choices I’ve ever made for spending a rainy, foggy night celebrating my husband’s birthday! We loved the view, and the interior atmosphere was amazing. Reserve in advance! All the food we ordered was delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The portions were just right.

Service was AMAZING. Everybody was so friendly and sweet. The food was incredible. The lobster pasta was the best pasta dish I’ve ever eaten in my life. The veal cutlet was crazy good too. This is definitely now a top 3 favorite Boston restaurant!!

Tried Contessa Boston rooftop and it was such a lovely experience. The vibe in the evening is cozy and chic, definitely makes the atmosphere enjoyable. The food was delicious and well-prepared. It was my first time trying lobster – super fresh and tasty. I also had the salmon, which was grilled perfectly. Personally, I didn’t enjoy it with the pesto sauce, as I felt the pesto overpowered the salmon’s flavor. Maybe a different sauce would pair better, especially since we also ordered a salad that came with pesto, so it felt a bit repetitive. Overall, though, it was a great experience – I’d recommend it for both the food and the beautiful rooftop setting.

I had an incredible experience at Contessa in Boston! The views are absolutely breathtaking, making it the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The service was top-notch—attentive and friendly, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. Now, let’s talk about the food! The Panettone French Toast was a delightful twist on a classic, bursting with flavor and perfectly executed. And the Carbonara Scramble? Simply fantastic! It was rich, creamy, and so satisfying. Overall, Contessa is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and an unforgettable atmosphere. I can’t wait to return!

Time Out Market Boston, located in Fenway, is a spacious and trendy venue featuring 15 carefully selected eateries and bars spread across more than 25,000 square feet. The market offers a diverse range of cuisines, allowing visitors to indulge in dishes like crispy fish tacos, vegan chorizo quesadillas, spicy tuna maki rolls, and Persian pastries. Additionally, the market includes an on-site bar for those who prefer liquid desserts.
There were so many choices! Really cool outdoor seating, opportunities, and fruits from all over the world. This is definitely a must stop when you’re going to Fenway Park and you have a couple of days. Plenty of space for the whole family and a really good place to get a cocktail or a beer. Highly recommend!

(8/20/25) I like the way the interior of this place is designed. This was our first time visiting this food court. Nice atmosphere here. TONS of food options from many different food vendors offering a large variety of choices (Mediterranean, Mexican, classic American dishes, vegan, specialty drinks, desserts, Italian, etc). The food we tried was good. Not amazing but good. Will definitely return to give the other vendors a try. There is a public restroom here. I can’t really speak of parking options for this place because we stayed at a hotel literally 4 minutes walking distance from here (Residence Inn by Marriott). As an outdoor enthusiast, I was very excited to see the other end of this food court had direct indoor access to an REI outlet!!
Paul V — Google review
We got here just before some of the places started serving, so had 15 minutes to view what was on offer. Impressed by the market large, clean, stylish, and good variety of food options. I only gave 3 stars for atmosphere but sure this could be 5 in the evening. Not sure why all the food outlets didn't start serving.at the same time? This meant some of us ended eating at different times but no massive deal. If we had gone 15 minutes later it would have been fine. I went for chessey ramen with these pizza like open pot stickers. The ramen was good, and a decent portion. My only grip is that it had too much msg so I was tasting this all day. It came with fried chicken which was really good. Overall would I eat it again - yes washed down with a bottle of water. What was disappointing was the pizza like dumplings. Basically a dumpling wrapped smeared thinly with some meat paste and fried. They tasted of nothing! There were 4 of us and all had different meals and all good. I would recommend this place. If I lived in Boston, I would definitely go back to try some different types of food.

POE-LENTA RESTAURANT REVIEW: Poe-lenta at the Time Out Market in 401 Park is a place that really impressed me. The portions were exactly right, filling without being overwhelming, and the flavors came together beautifully. Every bite felt balanced and carefully prepared, turning a simple dish into something memorable. The service was outstanding. My food was ready within two minutes, which is incredibly fast, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. They even took the time to show me photos of the different meals before I ordered, which made the whole process much easier and more enjoyable. That kind of personal touch made the visit feel special. One thing to keep in mind is that they only accept card payments, no cash, but for me that was a small detail in an otherwise excellent experience. Overall Poe-lenta is absolutely worth trying if you are visiting Time Out Market or spending time around Fenway. Between the perfectly portioned dishes, the rich flavors, and the welcoming staff, it is the kind of spot you want to return to again and again.

LOVE this place. Lots of dinning options - something for everyone. Reasonably priced, 5min walk to Fenway, been here several times now *one complaint - our last visit was on a Saturday after a Sox game, and the advertised 'hours' say Time-Out Market is open until 11pm, but 'technically' it's the building that's open until 11pm. All the restaurants began closing as we walked in at 940-945, and were essentially all closed by 10....we were able to eat, but barely. 5 more min and we would've been out of luck.

The Italian place is really good, I had tofu with vegetables in a bed of quinoa. The whole market has good food and a cool vibe.

Awesome concept. A bit cold on service. Love the upscale-ish feel of the food hall with many great options. it was early, so we hit the donut place (awesome, but uber rich). We also tried the vegan cafe for coffee - not quite as good, but OK. In both cases, service was cold - not unpleasant per se, but very much indifferent.

Brassica Kitchen + Cafe is a vibrant and trendy spot in Jamaica Plain, Boston. By day, it offers gourmet coffee and pastries, while at night it transforms into a Euro-style restaurant serving cocktails.
This was such a fun dining experience! It's a very eclectic array of foods with so many flavors to try. Our server, Josh, said the best way to describe the food they serve was "saucy" and that honestly is true. So many good sauces, with flavors from all over the world! We did The Ride, a fixed menu with 8 plates plus dessert. They were flexible with some dietary needs and our server was fun, knowledgeable, and had fantastic service. We loved trying so many different things and enjoyed some lovely cocktails alongside it all. Such a great spot to try new flavors and have a special date night!

I recently had a meal at Brassica, and overall, it was a great experience. The risotto was creamy and flavorful, and the pizza had a wonderfully thin crust, very much like a classic New York-style pizza. The rigatoni pasta was tasty, though not particularly standout, but still a solid choice. The fried rice was packed with flavor and really hit the spot. The BK fried chicken (we ordered the larger portion) was incredibly tender and had just the right amount of sweetness served with a small portion of homemade mustard sauce on the side and lemon wedges, it was definitely a winner. However, the real star of the show was the Brussels sprouts. They were absolutely fantastic, crispy, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor. Definitely the dish that left the biggest impression, and I’ll be coming back just for those!
Rithvik — Google review
Brassica has one of the best brunches in town. The cocktails are wonderful and the food is top-notch. I love their commitment to changing up the flavors just enough to keep you wanting more, but also keeping their tried and true gems on the menu (shout out to the chicken and waffles)! And, I always look forward to taking home one of their homeade doughnuts for later. They never miss!
Candice S — Google review
We went for brunch and overall had a good time. We got the pretzel biscuit, brown butter pancakes, omelette, and breakfast fried rice. Everything looked great and the food did taste good, but towards the end of our meal we did start to feel it was a bit greasy and heavy. The vegetarian options were extensive, which I really appreciated. I would come back if I wanted to take some friends, but I think it’s slightly out of my budget to become a regular option.
Eagle B — Google review
The service was excellent. Staff was friendly, attentive and informative. I ordered the fried rice from their brunch menu and my sister ordered the melted butter pancakes. She loved the pancakes. While I enjoyed their unique touch to the fried rice and perfectly runny egg, I didn't love how much oil it was all swimming in. We also waited 45 min for our food. Edit: I made I a typo and wrote "informal" but really I meant "informative"🤦‍♀️ Learning that they just expanded and were adjusting to the new space is great context for helping me understand the delay!
Ashley F — Google review
I'm sorry to write that our experience was mediocre and disappointing. We went there with another couple of friends for dinner on a Friday evening in mid August. The place was full of people, apparently having a good time. The staff was busy and diligent, kind and friendly. The location is not so nice and the exteriors are somewhat rough, between a central bus station on a busy street with traffic and honking cars, and a parking lot of a funeral home, with big trash dumpsters. We sat in the back yard tent, four people around a small table with small plates. We liked the concept of sharing various plates and dishes, but the portions were small and the food was very salty and greasy (gave me heartburn). The black cod was unpleasantly smelly (fishy), and the green salad was very bitter and salty. The only way to fill my tummy was to order some bread, which was served with way too much butter, really wasteful. I saw a picture of fries in a review online and asked the waitress why it wasn't on the menu, she smiled and said it's a secret...  she also suggested the special of the day, but did not tell us the price, and that was not on the menu either. As a matter of principle and practicality, all items should be on the menu, and customers should know the prices before placing orders. The prices are pretty high and they charge around 23% fee to cover gratuity for the waiters, kitchen and bar staff. We respect and support all those good people, but do not like to be charged such high fees. Either raise the prices and show them clearly on the menu, or take whatever tips people leave and split the money between all the employees. Customers should have the freedom to decide how much they want to tip, considering the quality of food and service they received. We enjoyed spending a couple hours with our friends, but did not enjoy the food or sitting on the asphalt in the undecorated tent, with loud background noise. For us, it was not worth $40 per person (with no meat or seafood, with no dessert or coffee); there are much nicer places at that price level.
Doron B — Google review
Awesome experience trying The Ride (their epic tasting menu) at their new larger location! Delicious, fun food, lovely staff, and great vibe. Incredible deal for how much food you get — I took home most of a pizza (never seen a whole pizza in a multi-course tasting menu!) and entire second dessert. Eating the leftovers the next day was wonderful, too! Highly recommend.
Lillie M — Google review
We had a good time at Brassica. The staff were great and organized. The food was good but some things like the brussel sprouts were mid for the price and very small portions with rice underneath (seemed like they were just trying to cut costs). Also the pizza was alittle burnt, beyond what I would have served. But I loved the housemade vermouths and would recommend if you are looking for a fancy meal out in Boston that has a friendly/local vibe. Also definitely make a reso as it's a busy place.

Wine bar
Krasi is a trendy spot in Back Bay that offers contemporary Greek cuisine and an extensive selection of Greek wines. The restaurant boasts an industrial-chic ambiance and a menu featuring sharing-sized plates like whipped feta with roasted red peppers, grilled octopus with carob honey, and lamb osso bucco. It also offers one of the largest collections of Greek wine in the United States. The knowledgeable staff can help you pair your meal with the perfect wine from their exclusively Greek wine list.
Three of us ordered a late lunch on a perfect Sunday afternoon, ordering four medium-size dishes to split. We liked each of the dishes we selected. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was slammed—and the server kept our waters topped off. Would definitely recommend.

We went here for dinner and overall had a lovely time. It’s an upscale Greek restaurant, perfect for a celebratory meal or if you’re in the mood for a fine dining experience. The food was flavorful – I really enjoyed the shrimp, and the grilled chicken was delicious too. The serving sizes were on the smaller side though, so just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a hearty meal. They gave us a water pitcher for the table, which I appreciated. There’s no cocktail menu, but their wine selection is good. The ambiance feels refined, and even the bathrooms reflect that – they were very clean and stocked with Aesop handwash, which added a nice touch. Overall, if you’re looking for an elegant spot with quality food and a celebratory vibe, this is a great choice. Just don’t come expecting large portions.

Phenomenal!!! We are a party of five. Tried multiple dishes Tiropita Rolls, Tzatziki, Lois’s, Kasseri, Beets, Kleftiko, Matsata, Kotopoulo Lemonati (the warm Cypriot salad is to die for) & Chicken souvla which was very succulent. We paired it with a bottle of Femina by Douloufakis winery from Crete and a bottle of Xynisteri from my friends at Tsiakkas winery in Pelendri, Cyprus. Finished it off with 3 desserts the portokalopita is just superb, Greek coffee and commandaria Cypriot dessert wine. I just can’t say enough good words about the work and the love that goes into each dish. I worked five years at a Greek restaurant in New Jersey and I was so disappointed at the end of the owners approach and mentality. Krasi is just a level of its own, it goes up there on the pantheon of best meals I’ve ever had. Euxaristo poli for everything🇨🇾🇬🇷

Krasi is bar none the best restaurant in Boston, particularly for vegetarians. Go for a full bottle of wine, you won’t regret - served elegantly and they have an amazing wine cabinet. A great place to try something new. The Rolls were actually an underrated star of the show, with their doughy inside presenting bread in a new way. As two vegetarians we were thrilled to find an upscale restaurant with a variety of options, and have been taken on a new, authentic flavor experience with everyone tried. And of course, the service - Krasi is the perfect place to go for a celebration because they will treat you right and make it not just delicious, but a welcoming wonderful experience. Drink Highlights: every orange wine we’ve tried there Food highlights: rolls, cheeses, eggplant chips, hitsipi dip

The food at this restaurant is genuinely fantastic; every dish was flavorful and expertly prepared. It's a shame the service didn't match the quality of the kitchen. Our server seemed bothered by every request we made, and when I asked for a side of goat cheese, it was so difficult that I just told him to forget about it. The one bright spot was the bartender, who was cheerful and provided excellent service.

The most amazing Greek food ever. Creative, unique, so delicious I will be dreaming about it until the next visit. The table side taziki and the spicy whipped feta were out of this world. The cheese bread was delicious, and save room for dessert! The sesame ice cream was the best ice cream we have tried! Ever. Trust me. Just make the reservation already. Atmosphere and service are top notch. Highly recommend.

Excuse the photo quality. I only remembered to snap a few shots halfway through the meal. I brought my family here for dinner on a Tuesday night, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. We didn’t have a reservation, so it was a good thing we arrived within an hour of the restaurant opening. We were lucky enough to get a table outside. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal. I’m so sorry I didn’t catch her name. Since my family and I aren’t too familiar with Greek cuisine, her knowledge and guidance were incredibly helpful, especially when it came to selecting the wine. There were three of us and boy was I full. 6 plates were definitely just the right amount. We got TZATZIKI (classic dip with crispy pita chips), HORTA (the Swis-chard-picked-bean combo with tomatoes was immaculate), MARATHOPITA (it was unlike anything I’ve ever had before. The scent of lavender and the taste of honey was so special), MAGIATIKO (my sashimi lover heart was very pleased), GIOUVETSI (the texture of the braised lamb was incredibly tender. It was the perfect pairing with the orzo, which was coated in a rich, velvety tomato sauce), and lastly PAIDAKIA (my mom downed the pork chops in seconds). There was also a board of freshly cut vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, celery sticks, etc.) for the dip. For dessert we tried the PORTOKALOPITA (the orange phyllo cake was soaked with just right the amount of syrup. The manouri ice cream was tasty and it was primarily made of cheese derived from sheep or goat milk. My brother LOVED it). To combat the sweetness, I got wild chamomile tea and my mom got lemongrass tea. If you’ve made it to the end of this review, thank you for reading! Can you tell we absolutely loved this place? Most of the dishes we ordered were gluten-free friendly (with the exception of the lamb, which was coated in breadcrumbs, and of course, the pita chips). Since my mom is gluten-free, it was great to see her enjoy so much of the menu. Overall, this meal felt like a true experience. My tastebuds were completely intrigued. The flavors we tasted tonight were definitely unexpected in a good way:)) 100/10 would recommend ✨

Yume Wo Katare is a bustling Japanese noodle specialist located in Porter Square, offering a simple yet delicious menu of thick, chewy noodles in rich pork broth. The cozy counter-serve spot has communal tables where diners can watch the chefs prepare Jiro-style ramen. After enjoying their meal, patrons are encouraged to share their dreams with fellow diners.
This place is absolutely worth the wait. The line is long, but the experience is amazing. I really enjoyed the depth and intensity of the flavors—truly something special. One of the most memorable parts was when they asked us to share our dreams. It created such a unique and inspiring atmosphere, connecting us with others as dreamers. It was a remarkable experience, and I’d be excited to come back.

My favorite ramen spot in boston. I feel like a better person every time i leave. As an introvert, i was really nervous at first since its small and they encourage you to say your dream to everyone at the end of your meal. After a few visits though it definitely gets easier and makes the experience more enjoyable. I bring people here all the time cause the ramen/service is consistently wonderful. The owner has truly mastered this dish. I promise you it is worth the wait outside!!!

Fun, unique food experience for a very reasonable price. Service is fantastic and overall I enjoyed it and would recommend a visit. However, I found their broth unbearably salty. I had the vegan ramen and while it was generously served and topped with tasty things, I really struggled with the saltiness. My companion had the non vegan one and apparently that was even worse.

Such a unique dining experience! Everyone who worked there was so kind and friendly and I would definitely recommend stopping by. There’s vegan ramen (great for vegetarians too), the broth has a rich umami flavor and comes with garlic, pickled ginger, bean spouts, veggie dumplings, cabbage, and delicious noodles. It was a wonderful experience all around, 100% worth the wait!

This is an interesting Japanese udon restaurant where they offer only two options of udon noodle soup, a bowl with 2 pork slices or 5 slices. You can ask for more cabbage or their "delicious garlic" which is raw. The broth is the real standout in my opinion. It has a deeply rich but clean flavor of pork. The noodles are hand made and have a good chewy texture. The pork slices have a great flavor and not bland like most other ramen places. I was full after eating the 2 slices version but most other diners had the 5 slices when I ate there. You are encouraged to share your "dream" once you have finished eating. There's no option to add an egg, as with other typical ramen places. The price is fairly high for 2 slices of pork and noodles. Seating isn't that comfortable. Still, I find this a very pleasant experience while having a great bowl of noodles.

First time we’ve been back since 2015. The place is still the same, one dish on the menu - ramen with your choice of two or five slices of pork or vegetarian. I chugged through the salty broth and got a perfect score this time. Be prepared to drink lots of water afterwards otherwise you’ll be smelling like garlic and thirsty for a day. This week they also had ube cheesecake to go, we got a slice and it was good.
Amy L — Google review
Came here last Saturday after hearing reviews about this being one of the best ramen spots in the Boston area and it did not disappoint in the slightest! We waited outside roughly 30 minutes with 12 people in front of us. The waiter explains the restaurant concept and the seating/order arrangement before you are seated. You can opt out of sharing your dreams if you are not comfortable doing so. Both my boyfriend and I got the 5-piece bowl. The pork cuts were so juicy and melted in your mouth, the soy broth was incredibly rich and the noodles, clearly handmade, were springy and chewy. We both got garlic: if you're not a big fan of garlic I would opt out of getting it as a topping, but as someone who loves garlic, it was a delicious addition! I wish I lived closer than two hours away, I would make myself a regular patron in a heartbeat! I still find myself daydreaming about my bowl 🤤

It was so-called Jiro-style ramen. It is nice that we can eat this type ramen in US. Few negative points were that noodles were not well shaped (looks like scraps of making noodles) and soups was too salty. However, overall, it was nice. I may come again when I visit Boston.

Field & Vine is a casual and trendy spot that prioritizes local farm sourcing for its small plates, beer, and wine. The restaurant's woodland fantasy ambiance is enhanced by the golden light streaming through shelves of plants, creating a magical atmosphere. The space features a tangle of vines and branches designed to resemble a forest canopy above the counter seats looking into the open kitchen.
I was there for a private event of around 50 people and the service, dishes, and feng shui were impeccable. Appetizers of tuna carpaccio and spicy trumpet mushrooms were a superb start, followed by cheddar scallion cornbread, grilled asparagus, and an unusual strawberry panzanella with stracciatella and basil. There were two mains, a scrumptious roasted chicken dish and a seared sablefish (my personal least favorite- but still perfectly prepared). I was glad to have room for dessert, a perfect lavender chocolate pot de creme. Wine selections throughout were well matched and attentively poured by the diligent staff. A wonderful dining experience!

We were a group of 4, so we tried 10 savory and 4 desserts ($300 for 4 with gratuity but no drinks). The cost is important because it creates expectations. The ingredients are amazing, the menu is great but unfortunately everything you order will not blow you away. Things we loved: cornbread, tuna carpaccio, mushroom salad, scoop of the day (corn ice cream). Things that we may love in the future: little gem salad, beet salad, potato with trout roe. Miscellaneous aspects the restaurant could easily improve: seating reservations on time (we were seated ten minutes late), the gratuity 20% and kitchen fee 3% should be communicated before we order, air conditioning (it's not good enough).

Dreamy woodland atmosphere with fresh, light delicious dishes all made with local ingredients and served by a super-friendly staff! Cozy space that’s great for a date night. Menu appears seasonal so dishes here represent summer offering. We particularly enjoyed the beef tartare and chilled beets, but everything we tried was delicious, striking a nice balance in flavor and highlighting the fresh local ingredients.

Had a fantastic dinner at Field & Vine last night. Such a charming restaurant - lovely vibes, warm and attentive staff, and incredible food. They know flavors here, and it shows in every dish. The Cantaloupe Salad was a revelation: perfectly ripe, sweet, and juicy melon, with salty, acidic, and umami elements in flawless balance. The same can be said for the Heirloom Tomatoes dish. The crème fraîche panna cotta was genius, and the whole plate was outstanding - with so much weight resting on the quality of the tomatoes for it to work this well. They’re working with exceptional produce and ingredients, and this was evident in every dish. Without going dish by dish through everything we ate, I would just say that a few other outstanding dishes later, plus a round of delectable desserts and Field & Vine shot to the very top of my “Best of Boston” list, joining a small, elite group of restaurants. I’m mad I waited so long to go, and I have a lot of catching up to do. Don’t make my mistake - go now - you will love it!

Absolutely delicious food in an intimate, warm dining atmosphere. Lovely date night. The broccolini, fried monkfish and grilled bluefish were all spectacular. Gorgeous presentation on all plates. Service was also top notch. Server routinely checked in, cleaned off the table halfway in while clearing some plates, topped off water and kept a bottle on the table too. Very nice. Will be back again soon!

The service and atmosphere were very nice, but food is uninspired and lackluster. Specifically would not recommend the gnocchi (all you can taste is oil) or the sausage (it's a sausage atop a very basic tasting bean stew for $41 after 20% automatic tip). If anything, get the squash curry and the swordfish.

Don’t even know where to start, we had a reservation for 8pm and were told to wait outside — seated at 8:28PM. This seems to be consistent across all negative reviews and is clearly an issue here. The food was really not good — everyone at our table agreed. Arancini overcooked, pizza (potato pizza) flavorless, mushrooms were cold and lemony which may be appealing to some but not my group. Maybe we got a consistent bad luck of the draw but the ratings for this place and our experience did not align whatsoever. Worst $50+/pp dining experience in 2025 for me
Karan J — Google review
We made a reservation for 5pm, and were one of the first ones to dine at the place as soon as it opened for dinner time. Considering there were only two of us dining inside the restaurant, food took really long to come out (but we saw a lot of take out orders being put out....) Appetizer came out after 25-30 minutes. Then our first pasta dish came out 15 minutes after. It was fine until the second pasta came out another 15 minutes later. When asked when the second dish was coming, our server reminded us that the carbonara takes longer than other dishes and said it would be another minute which turned into 5-7 minutes. By the time my pasta came out, my sister was done with her pasta. Now for the food review: the food was alright. Felt more fusion than authentic. If you are looking for just a good, authentic Italian place, I wouldn't recommend. The vongóle was nothing like a traditional vongóle, the sauce was red, slightly spicy and sweet. Never seen sweet corn in vongóle. Carbonara was also nothing like a traditional carbonara I expected. It was kind of flavorless and the texture was more soupy than cheesy. My impression of the pastas here was as if somebody with no culinary knowledge tried to be creative. Seems like our experience is consistent with the horrible service reviews here. Would not visit again.

Cozy and small restaurant with sharable plates and good wine. Our waitress recommended a perfect wine from Umbria and our favorites were the funghi pizza and arancini. The only thing that could be better was the bread that came with the olive oil, it was not fresh and very mediocre :(
Zeynep O — Google review
Not a great dining experience. We made a reservation at 5 pm on a Tuesday which is when the restaurant opens. The food took way too long to come out especially since we were one of the only few customers there. The wait itself is forgivable but what wasn’t was the fact that it took 20 mins between the dishes to come out and we only ordered one pasta each. My sister had to stare at me eat for 20 minutes before hers came out. Questionable how this could be because the restaurant had just opened and there seemed to be plenty of staff in the kitchen and servers. For starters, Arancini was not great—tasted a little burnt and lacked sauce. Vongole was very disappointing, strayed way too far from what vongole is supposed to be. Couldn’t tell what the flavor was, a mix of some spice and sweetness from corn underneath the pasta. The savory flavors of clam which is what one would expect when they order a vongole were nowhere to be found. Carbonara was okay, nothing special. There was this clumpy yellow thing which appeared to be from the yolk but other reviews are saying they’re uni? Certainly was not uni. The menu didn’t say that either. The only positive thing I can say about the food is the pasta itself. The noodles were fresh and had good texture. They must’ve made it from scratch given the amount of time it took them….if not…..id be very concerned how they manage to serve any of the customers in reasonable time.

I visited Coppa for a brunch meal, and was welcomed with a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. It was a great place to visit alone and take my own time to rest and enjoy my meal, which was not too special but still very much enjoyable. The service was prompt and friendly, if not entirely polished. Waitstaff are attentive without being intrusive, maintaining a relaxed pace that suits the brunch crowd well. However, occasional lapses in professionalism, like casual staff chatter near guests, detract slightly from the restaurant’s refined image. The overall experience, nonetheless, was undeniably pleasant and comfortable. The ambience of warmth, attention to flavor and a genuine neighborhood charm makes it a very nice spot for leisurely brunches as well as more intimate dinners with such a wide variety of Italian options available to order with its own little twists popping out of unexpected places.

Great food with friendly service Had soppressata, zucca and broccolini for three people. I really enjoyed soppeessata (pizza) which was savory with hint of sweetness from honey. Zucca was good-olive was a great kick that went well with the overall dish. Broccolini was my favorite; it was not too strong nor bland. Seasoned well with grinded cheese and spices.

Service was good but food was awful. Don’t bother with the breakfast sandwich. It’s made with rubbery powdered eggs and microwave bacon. How much could it really cost to use a real egg? Do better.

Legal Seafood has been a long time favorite over the years. Not sure if it’s going downhill or getting too big. This location lacks service in my opinion. 5 people behind the bar to tend to a half full bar. I would have spent more money with just a little more attention given to us the customers vs what the employees do on their time off.
Kevin K — Google review
No atmosphere is acceptable in an airport. Yet, the service personnel were unfriendly. When we got our salmon, which showed no sign of being grilled, perhaps simply microwaved, the service lady aggressively yelled. And her co-worker helped on. Is it a Legal?!

The Public Garden, established in 1837 and located adjacent to Boston Common, is a serene and picturesque city park featuring a lagoon, boat rides, fountains, and various attractions. This historic Victorian-era garden boasts meticulously groomed flower beds showcasing 80 plant species, ornate fencing, tree-lined pathways with benches for relaxation, and iconic public art such as the Duckling Sculpture and a statue of George Washington.
My family is here on a college visit and we like to wake up early. We decided to go to the Public garden for the first time on a Sunday morning around 8 am. It was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and calm. Perfect way to start your day.

Such a beautiful and peaceful spot! I could have stayed all day, especially with the perfect fall weather. I captured some amazing Boston shots during my mini photoshoot. While there were plenty of people and lots of photo-taking happening, there were also plenty of quiet corners to escape the crowds. Truly loved my time here!

The Boston Public Garden is a must-see! It's a gorgeous escape right in the middle of the city, and a perfect spot to relax and get away from all the noise. The trees are stunning, especially in the fall when the colors are just magical. I love watching the squirrels play and taking a stroll along the paved pathways. The famous Swan Boats on the lagoon are a charming sight, and the park is great for all ages. It's completely free to enter, open from dawn to dusk, and super easy to get to with the Arlington and Boylston T stops nearby. Don't forget to say hi to the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue! It's a beautiful, peaceful place that's perfect for a walk, a date, or just unwinding.

We love this place! It’s serene and peaceful. This time around, we rode on the Swan Boat which was so nice since the last time we were here was in the Fall and the lake was empty. So glad we were able to check it out in the Summer. Be aware if it’s hot outside, the Swan boat is open so you are exposed to the sun and the elements, but you get a nice breeze from the water.

Boston Public Garden, located just steps from Boston Common, is truly one of my favorite places in the city! The meticulously maintained gardens, iconic swan boats gliding across the lagoon, and beautiful walking paths create a serene urban oasis—perfect for a quiet stroll or a relaxing afternoon. The floral displays are gorgeously seasonal, and everywhere you look there’s charm: historic statues, shaded benches, and picturesque bridges. The lagoon view, especially at sunset, is postcard-worthy. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this spot is a peaceful escape in the heart of downtown Boston. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat amid beautiful greenery—can't beat this gem near Boston Common!

A very beautiful garden in a very dirty city. This place was great to visit during my time in Boston, especially since everywhere in this city is filled with trash, more trash than I’ve ever seen in a city and that includes Seattle and New York. This garden was well kept, had so many places to walk and see it was just a great experience, do yourself a favor and check it out!

I know this is a chain and I usually go to small quaint coffee shops when I'm visiting a town, but this is definitely worth a stop! It was probably the best cup of coffee/latte I had on my entire trip to Boston. Their pastries and desserts are delicious! Really cool vibe on the inside and there is outdoor seating as well. I have a gluten allergy so it was nice to have a breakfast option that included bread. Had the smoked salmon egg breakfast sandwich, absolutely delicious and fresh —paired that with an oatmilk latte. The hubs had the lamb hash, also fresh and amazing. We left with happy, full belly’s.

We stopped in during our trip and were instantly hit with the smell of fresh pastries- it was warm, cozy, and so inviting. The place was super clean, and the outdoor patio was adorable. Definitely glad we swung by.

Lovely breakfast place, great variety of pastries but also hot food. I came on a Sunday and it was very busy managed to get a seat at the bar as I was alone. Back again on Monday and it’s much quieter. The overnight oats are delicious! Will be back everyday whilst I am here for work for the UK.

This place had a huge line which after waiting 10 minutes to order I was excited. Their food presentation was quite nice, it’s definitely too bad the flavor wasn’t a match to the appearance. The chocolate muffin looked awesome but it was totally dry inside. The pumpkin pie and pecan dessert were equally disappointing as they looked so good. Overall maybe I ordered the wrong things or this place has good coffee but it was a big disappointed for me.

We were staying a block from here, decided to pop in and great choice! It was tough to choose because everything looked so good but we weren’t ready for a full breakfast. We chose a chocolate and almond croissants. The chocolate one had perfect amount of chocolate as did the almond. Caramel latte and strawberry tea refresher which was a tad too sweet but both were good. I wish we lived closer, I’d be there often.

The food is delicious and made with such care — every dish tastes fresh and flavorful. The pastries are outstanding — flaky, fresh, and just the right amount of sweetness. Toscanini's Ice Cream is a beloved gem in Cambridge, renowned for its exquisite espresso and gourmet ice cream that features an ever-evolving selection of unique flavors. This iconic spot also offers local delights like Barismo coffee and Iggy's baked goods, making it a perfect stop for sweet cravings.
So far, the best ice cream in Boston. Toscanini has quite the reputation in Boston, so I figured I needed to try it. The shop is located near Cambridge, right across the river. First off, hats off to the staff. Super nice, allowed me to try several flavours before deciding. I first tried the kulfi with cardamom, pistachios and almonds. Absolutely amazing, bold flavours and fantastic creamy texture. I then tried the salted caramel. This is when I knew this place was no joke. Usually ice cream either don’t put enough salt, or put too much sugar. Toscanini had the perfect balance. It was amazing. Finally I tried their most famous flavour: 3B, which stands for Brown Butter, Brown Sugar and Brownie. This was a show stopper. The brownie piece were delicious. The brown butter brought a certain nuttiness which paired perfectly with the caramelized brown sugar. Best ice cream I’ve had in a long long time. I ended up taking the 3B and the salted caramel, but the kulfi honestly was just as good. This is a phenomenal ice cream parlour, definitely worth a detour if you’re in Boston.
Myriam W — Google review
Very nice flavors with a smooth creamy texture! The B3 was a standout, with the brown sugar flavor being a super unique part. The burnt caramel was nice but very burnt forward, not as much caramel, kinda got sick of it after a few bites. The ice cream also melts extremely quickly so be ready to eat fast! Overall a solid spot for unique flavors, would get again!
Cameron — Google review
I had a really good experience here. I have a nut allergy and the team asked questions to determine how to best serve me IF they could which they didn’t have to do. We worked through taste testing a few flavors and after I selected 1 specific flavor they opened a brand new batch for me and made sure the spoon was clean. B3 flavor was sooo good! And the goat cheese brownie was very unique and special. Thank you team!
Mariah T — Google review
The ice cream is good, but the experience has its drawbacks. They offer ice cream cakes, but only 4 flavors are available for pickup. If you want a different flavor, you must order online at least 4 business days in advance—and only in medium size, at nearly double the price ($55 vs $90). Additionally, there's a mandatory tip at checkout—you can't proceed without adding one. Feels like a good spot that's now milking customers for every extra dollar :(

This is the best ice cream shop in Boston. The ice cream is light and not overly sweet. This is a must try if you're a fan of green tea ice cream. The green tea ice cream meets or exceeds my similar experiences in Japan. There's a ton of other flavors as well.

My boyfriend and I stumbled in to this place and I think we have a new favorite! I had mint chocolate chip and he had peanut butter (would love to come back and try the Mango Sticky Rice flavor!!) Founded by pastry chef Joanne Chang and business partner Christopher Myers in 2000, this delightful bakery offers a delicious menu of French treats like croissants and sticky buns, all prepared in-house daily by professional staff.
First time here and we went for lunch after a visit to the Children’s museum. Very smooth ordering process with kiosks or with servers. Ordered the roast beef sandwich and soup of the day. Also ordered a grilled cheese and turkey bacon sandwich for the family. Sandwich and soup were some of the best I’ve ever had. Cafe was busy with steady flow of customers. Great pace and service despite being so busy. Definitely will be back!

Friendly folks at this bakery, which offered a lot of nice looking treats, none of which my waistline could afford to try. Kiosk by the front let's you order upon arrival but I just went up to the counter. Came here while on vacay in Boston. Ordered the French toast with bacon, and the entire meal was truly fantastic. Reasonably priced too. The worker who brought my food out definitely was not friendly. But whatever. The food made up for any customer service flaws. I’d eat there again.

I love to check out new pastries! Love getting up earlier and walking to one as they open. If you ask me thats the best time to come in and get a fresh pastry. Id say anything after 4pm is questionable!. Anyways this place is nice. Full menu, different pastries for everyone. Everything from cookies, muffins, jelly filled items. Its really awesome. Id say I spend $40 that morning. Plus there French toast is great. They don't give you enough syrup at all! I love to self service kiosk. I do wish staff would have told me that as soon as I got inside. No one said anything to me and I was standing up front for 4mins. Other then that, just on food and the atmosphere of this place was wonderful. Staff on thr other hand idk, maybe I caught people on a bad day or something.

Not impressed with this bakery unfortunately. I went after learning about the hype of this place but I was disappointed from the very start of my visit. I don’t know why they don’t have wheelchair/stroller access after being in such a busy location. I saw so many parents coming from the children’s museum and of course they had strollers which made going up harder, especially if you are alone. Safe to say that I won’t be visiting this location alone again. The 2 doors are also not electric/mechanical so you can’t push a button to open. This would have been okay in other places but when you know that a lot of your clientele is of the parents that are visiting children’s museum , steps should be taken to make their visit easier. After help by a kind stranger I was finally able to get inside and ordered the slice of midnight chocolate cake. (Also IF there is another entrance that is wheelchair friendly, there should be signs outside informing the customers) Prices are reasonable and the vibe is good of the place. However the cake was dry and a day old. I could tell that from the very first bite as the cake and icing layers started falling apart.
