This was my first time in Boston and after a long flight I was starving! They did not disappoint. I ordered the "Northern Attitude Breakfast" which I loved, especially the pancakes. The atmosphere was lively and busy on a Tuesday late morning. Our waiter was helpful with suggestions, telling us the seasonal items, and super attentive. I would come back here.

Nate was wonderful and super attentive, sharing what is new and popular on the menu. I had a maple bourbon cold brew coffee, breakfast taquitos and a side of bacon. You MUST try their made in house Maple Tumeric sauce, it’s not spicy hot but the right balance of spice and sweetness and perfect to drizzle on eggs and bacon for some kick. Also had the Arnold Pama as I had time to kill and a 2nd beverage never hurts when walking a beautiful city. The ambiance is like being in a time capsule of the best memories, Goonies poster on the wall, retro sparkly diner booths and chairs, community mental health wall posts to boost your spirits. The bartender/server was upbeat and took care of each person. This location has an “A” rating and is clean, easy to access and the front doormen are personalable.

Amy was a fantastic host! thank you the space was packed out from the time i entered till the time i left, shows you how good a place this is. food and drinks are all great, warm service and nice deco… if the weather was any cooler, id love to have a seat outdoors 😍 highly recommended to check them out

We been to other location in Harvard, and we wanted to add on our list this location too!! As we expected food was delicious and served perfectly delightful. Our server was soo nice and kind, helping us to get any requests. Prices were fair enough, and location easy to get.

OK but I don't understand why this place is so popular. Came here on a Saturday morning around 8 AM and found it to be already packed. The waitress was very friendly and the food average. We waited quite a bit of time before we got our food. They were very efficient seating everyone and when we left, there were people waiting outside to be seated. I have to rate low on the funky smell in the bar area downstairs; it smelled halfway between cleaning solution and grease. It's like they tried to clean by just throwing on cleaning solution without scrubbing and rinsing with water. The smell definitely impinged on my enjoyment.

We came in on a rainy Friday and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food was fresh, tasty, and satiating. The coffee was hot and our server, Samantha, was friendly. The entire experience was delightful. The decor was whimsical and added to our wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our waitress! She was so friendly and funny. Ate outside for this meal, so glad I put in a reservation. Started with drinks and an appetizer, churro bites, yummy. There was absolutely no calorie counting for this meal. My main meal was eggs, sourdough bread, bacon and potatoes. Solid all around. Left feeling full and happy for hours.

The waffles here are delicious! Their texture is as it should be - crisp on top, with that lightly bready on the inside. I love that they cater to the minimalist and the glutton here in terms of the amount of toppings one could add on. The decor and ambience are charming, though the place is little and can only seat small groups.

I had tea and a waffle here and the staff were super friendly and attentive. I asked for extra hot water for my tea and they were ok with it. The whole place, including the washroom, was very clean. The café is small with limited seating, so probably not the best spot for groups bigger than 4-5 people I came just to try the waffle. It was crispy but didn’t have much taste on its own (I got the Brussel waffle). The other waffle we got with toppings was way more delicious. So totally suggesting to add a sweet topping. They are also famous for their tiramisu latte.

Zimneken's Belgian waffles are undoubtedly one of the best and mouthwatering waffles across Cambridge. The flavors of chocolate, Nutella, peanut butter, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream are amplified when you have them with waffles. wonder how are they still maintaining the low prices considering the place remains crowded a majority of time. I'm definitely going to come back to make my taste buds feel heaven.

I remember when this place started out as a small food truck in Harvard Square — back then you could get a generous waffle with everything included for $8. Now it has grown into a full restaurant, but unfortunately the quality-to-price ratio has gone downhill. The waffles are noticeably smaller, the prices much higher, and almost everything is treated as an add-on. Even whipped cream costs extra, which feels disappointing since a waffle never feels complete without it. The waffles themselves are decent, but the experience no longer matches the value it once had. Feels like customers are paying more for the brand than for the food.

Was craving for good coffee and a tasty breakfast, so decided to stop by Zinneken’s. The place doesn’t disappoint. Very tasty waffles (got myself the Berry Insanity and topped it off with maple syrup, and my son customized his version with chocolate on top), and real barista-grade coffee. Yum! The service was amazing and waffles were made fast. Didn’t have much time before my flight from BOS, so quick service was a must. Will definitely be coming back when I’m in town!

Our cafe au laits were excellent but the waffles? Meh. Three of us ordered one waffle (to share) with chocolate and added a scoop of ice cream and it was almost $12 with tax. I wouldn’t mind the price. But the waffle was quite unremarkable and very small for the price. However, I’d go back for coffees because the place smells amazing.

We have been coming here since 2013. Whenever we are in town we like to have breakfast here, usually post Boston Marathon as a celebratory breakfast. It has changed over the years. Not sure if it’s under new management, but the food is usually very good. We were a little dissatisfied this year with the blueberry waffle. It was drowning in blueberries! And the waffle itself wasn’t very crispy and a little on the small side. The scramble eggs were good in texture (creamy) but could have used more seasoning. The toast arrived with only butter, we had to ask a server for jam. The breakfast potatoes were great! Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and well seasoned. Think cut bacon cooked well and a generous portion. The coffee wasn’t great, a little bitter for me. Service is always great, we were a small party of 2 and didn’t have to wait to be seated. We like the charm of the restaurant, a diner vibe with open kitchen.

This is a great place to go when you wants some brunch. The food was so good. Small place but has big flavors and great service. Love the quietness the ability to see your food from the kitchen. I was excited to eat. Atmosphere was great as well. Indoor and outdoor seating areas. This is a gem in the downtown area. Must go!

Got the avocado, egg, and cheese bagel for takeaway. It was pretty standard fresh enough, but nothing special. Felt like it could have used a sauce to bring everything together and add a bit more flavor. Decent for a quick bite, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Such a wonderful place to start the morning before exploring the Freedom Trail! The breakfast choices are fresh and satisfying, and everything we ordered tasted amazing. We liked it so much that we came back again during our trip and were just as impressed the second time.

The wait was long and unorganized. I was just told to wait inline, there was no dedicated host/hostess. There is outdoor and indoor seating. The food was good. The home fries were nicely done.

Honestly, The Paramount is totally overrated. We waited over an hour just to get a table for two. I ordered the classic brunch and ended up feeling sick all day afterward. The waitress didn’t even offer to let us pay by card, and the plate presentation was really disappointing. Honestly, you’d be better off grabbing a nice pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks instead. The food tasted fine, but it’s definitely not worth the wait or the poor service. I won’t be coming back.

Very good overall. I stopped in for a late breakfast and was met with quick, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, and liked them as it was exactly as expected. It was raining when I visited, but the cozy vibe inside made up for it. The space has a casual, diner-style feel that still fits in well with the Beacon Hill and Back Bay neighborhoods. It is clean, classic, and welcoming. This spot has a good reputation for breakfast and brunch, and I can see why. It is not fancy, but it is consistent, dependable, and perfect for casual meals. I would come back any time, whether solo or meeting a friend. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

We had an incredible breakfast. We were a larger group of 6. They accommodated us without issue. When they say large portions of food they were not Kidding. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent. If you are in the neighborhood highly recommend going to the charming Mikes Diner.

I loved this place. We were looking for a diner after the others we found were too small or had no parking. This gem showed up and blew away all expectations. Food taste and quality was astounding. Prices are low and surprising. Not too many places to sit, there was seating when we walked in but I could see this place getting full on a busier day. However, it never felt cramped or small inside. We ordered the infirmary and some French toast. The steak and eggs was cooked perfectly to order, and the French toast was some of the best I've ever had. This is a great spot. I fully recommend coming any time.

Very cool little little hole in the wall. Mike's Diner aired on Diners Drive-ins. There was no wait when we walked in. Prompt service. The food was delicious. Their corned beef hash is homemade. It's probably the best I've ever tasted. They serve grits, which I love. If you're in tow, you should swing by for some grub. Hope you like it, like we did.

A bustling morning with a great atmosphere. The portions are generous and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the French toast! It has a rich cereal aroma, a fluffy and soft texture, and the maple syrup pairing is fantastic! Highly recommended! The waffles, on the other hand, are just average.

I have eaten here at least 6 times. The food is usually good. One lousy piece of fish. Right now, the crushed red potatoes look dirty, dark, mushy, and they taste disgusting; I have had these at least 3 times. Too easy to get right. The Mac and cheese suddenly went left with some strange taste. The banana pudding was absolutely disgusting, gritty, mushy, and the cheese grits were thick and old. I will not be eating here again. You are doing too much with the seasoning and messing up basic dishes you should have mastered by now. You even messed up the iced tea. It has a strange taste and this tea used to be delicious. And get some real hot sauce. It isn’t too much to put black folks hot sauce in a container. Never again and I mean that. I can cook this better myself.

Well, My hisand I go to Maxine’s every Friday for seafood some type of seafood catfish or haddock he loves greens and I love the string beans with a little macaroni and cheese and Black Eyed Peas and rice. I’m telling you we always have a good time on Fridays. The food quality is amazing atmosphere is always amazing and you could tell they put their heart into what they do, grateful for some down-home food

I had an opportunity to meet the owners of the restaurant! They were extremely kind, and offered us free drinks while we waited for our food. I ordered the chicken wing dinner which was fresh. They were out of the sweet potatoes, so I end up getting the greens and Mac & Cheese. Both of those sides were really good. The portions are a good size.When I’m in Boston again I will order from here again!

The food without a doubt is delicious!! I would've went with a five star. My husband steak tips - $23.99 for steak tips, Mac and cheese was a portion for a toddler, they placed one tablespoon of rice and beans and 6 bite size steak tips!! For $23!! My haddock portion was okay for $16 but the steak tips. My husband took three forks of the Mac&cheese and was done. Disappointed with the charge and portion. Box of pasta is not that expensive. And they are buying it wholesale. Total rip off..

The flavors of the food went very well together. I ordered the Best chicken plate (3 piece), for sides I got the smashed sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese. The sweet potatoes were good; a little too sweet but the nutmeg did stand out! The chicken was exactly as I expected, bomb. I would definitely order again, probably gonna try the Creole corn next time instead of the sweet potatoes. And I will be back on Tuesday for the fresh banana pudding!!

I rate 3 stars for the portions and the price. portions did not match the price. cold and nutmegged flavored sweet potatoes macaroni and cheese edible. 3 stars from my girl. I give 4 stars for portions. I will be returning for another meal. although I did appreciate the love given. good attitudes, nice people. I felt the "soul" attitudes and environment. I'll be back.

I had an overall positive experience with this restaurant. I love sampling soul food establishments when visiting different cities. I chose Maxine’s because online in said there was an option to dine in. When I arrived, it was only a store front. I had to download an app in order to order and pay for my food. I was disappointed by these things. However my food was good. I had fried catfish, greens, Mac and cheese, with a corn bread muffin. The fish was fresh and moist. That was the best part. It was delicious. It seemed like a cross between cornmeal batter and beer batter. The sides were not spectacular but they were good. I could have gotten this same meal about $5 cheaper back home in Kansas City with bigger portions but overall I was satisfied.

We visited South Street Diner on a Friday night around 1 AM. The burger and fries were really tasty, though I personally found the patty a bit undercooked. Service was quick, and even at that late hour the diner was still quite busy — luckily, we managed to snag a free table. The waitress seemed a bit unmotivated and annoyed, but that might have been due to the late hour. The location has a very vintage, unique vibe, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a solid late-night spot for a burger!

Came in from out of town for appointments and stopped in for a late dinner. Got breakfast because it’s quick and easy and I’m normally a very picky eater but I loved home fries and corn beef hash. The waitress was quick and friendly. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

I went to the south street diner one morning to check out a typical eastern coast diner. I was greeted by an incredible atmosphere, the blue and white interior which immediately drew a great vibe coming from the diner. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, which is totally okay in my opinion. When we sat down we ordered some food (chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry pancakes and some chocolate french toast with a side of bacon) as well as some drinks (bottomless coffee and a strawberry milkshake) which immediately were served warm and fresh only a few minutes later. The french toast was in my opinion one of the best i ever ate, and the drinks were also delicious. Michele, the server, was a really sweet person and not only her, but all the servers and also the cooks made the whole atmosphere so much nicer and added a really amazing vibe to this already delicious breakfast meal.

Walked in late night at around 2:15 am, came by myself, and was able to sit in a booth. I ordered the maple pepper fried chicken benedict substituted with extra crispy French fries and a ginger ale. I must say it was quite delicious and really hit the spot!

Near South Station in Boston and stumbled upon a spot with some of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, each bite hit the spot. The staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel welcome right away. It’s the perfect place to grab a quick bite without sacrificing quality. Luckily, since I was dining solo, I was seated right away at the bar—a perfect perch to sip coffee and watch the lively scene. We recently went to this lovely brunch spot. Even though I booked a table a week in advance, we still had to wait around 20 minutes when we arrived. The menu is pretty extensive, and it’s definitely a great place for brunch with plenty of food and drink options. I also liked that they take care of dietary restrictions and allergies. We ordered the Jalapeño Mac n’ Cheese, Vegan Burger, and Blueberry Pancakes, along with a Mimosa and the Summer Splash mocktail. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Overall, it’s a fun and vibrant place to spend a brunch — I’d definitely recommend it!

Visited this spot for brunch with my partner and they seated us promptly without a reservation. We like to share dishes so we got one sweet (the "fresh berry cinnamon french toast") and one savory (the "kitchen sink"). Both were super tasty, and we left quite full. Prices are standard ($15-18 for entrees), slightly on the pricier side but worth it for the quality of the food. We requested sunny-side up eggs for the kitchen sink and they were cooked properly, runny yolk and all. The home fries were the standout item. Highly recommend!

When we craved for the familiar breakfast/brunch food, we come to Cafe Luna. We can always count on decent food and efficient service. Wait staff is friendly. Food comes out really fast and the portions are generous. Food and drinks are not great but good in general to please the crowd. The hibiscus tea punch is one of my favorite not too sweet mocktail. Corn beef hash and eggs with home fries and the lemon ricotta pancakes are solid. The place is always packed for weekend brunch so it gets very loud, making it difficult to carry on a conversation. But, it does have a fun vibe with mostly a younger crowd. This is a great neighborhood cafe. Place is dated but there aren't many of this type of restaurants around any more where prices are not crazy and has decent food.

This review is about poor pick-up service, irresponsive staff, disrespect towards customer’s time, and not delivering what was ordered. We are frequent visitors at Cafe Luna and have dined-in and picked up orders frequently in the last 2-3 years. We love the food and the servers are extremely nice. However, we have found the host/staff at check-in to be cold on many occasions and at times treating us differently than other customers. But we tend to avoid focusing on this aspect as we love the food. However, today we placed an order through Toast app at 9.23am which was supposed to be ready for pick up at 9.38am. We reached there at 9.39am and only got our order at 10.04am. Despite checking in multiple times at the check in desk we weren’t given the true status of our order. They kept asking for us to wait for 2 mins when in reality it took them nearly 25 mins to hand over the order with no sense of apology or respect towards our time. On top of it, when we opened the order at home, we realized that every item we had ordered was not customized to what we had asked and paid for. We called multiple times but were kept on hold forever. We understand the place can be busy but expected more respect towards our time and money. We really hope that we get the refund for what we didn’t receive. Needless to say, we will think several times before coming to Cafe Luna which once used to be our staple.

We had an awesome time here, the service was top-notch and super friendly! The menu is huge, but I eventually locked in on the loaded Mexican brunch bowl with extra eggs and it did not disappoint. The potatoes could’ve used a little more salty, but a side of hot sauce brought them to life! Everyone else at the table couldn’t stop raving about the Mexican street corn omelette. As for the Cookie Monster pancakes… honestly, they were just okay. I’d save the calories for something more exciting when I return (ideally the churro French toast)

Having been to this place a few times over the years, it has somehow gotten even better. Their renowned biscuits are soft, sweet, buttery all on their own but when paired with either the smoked cinnamon butter to up the sweetness or the pimento cheese to provide more savoriness you cannot go wrong! The BBQ shrimp was a standout that went fantastic with the soft and moist bread it came with. The shrimp was savory and filled with flavors that went excellently with the sauce it came with and the bits of meat in it. The fried chicken we had ordered with a white BBQ sauce that went so well (I’d love to try their other sauces as well), but what I love is that the chicken itself was miraculous by itself. A crunchy savory outer fried coating bursting with flavor once you bite into the moist chicken that is just the right temperature, not too cold and not too hot that you burn your tongue. They did not skimp out on their drinks either. Strong and delicious combined all in one that makes it worth the cost. What I love about the restaurant is depending on where you sit, it can change the ambience and they have it all, both indoor and outdoor. Wait staff was kind, knowledge and speedy as well. Highly recommend this spot if you haven’t been before.

Decent southern comfort food. I liked the fried chicken waffle place for brunch. The beignets are amazing, flaky. The atmosphere wasn't great though. The service was also slow, it seems like they were understaffed. We waited for a long time to get out check (after asking for it for 3 times).

Part of my friend group headed back before the rest of us, so we decided to stop in somewhere for dinner before we caught the train back. All of us were very glad we found the Buttermilk & Bourbon: a New Orleans style restaurant in Boston?? Yes, please. Even though it was packed, we managed to get spots at the bar, which worked out great since the two gentlemen behind it were exceptionally friendly and very attentive despite the dinner rush. The food was so good 🤤 the ribs I ordered were some of the best I’ve had in years. Special shoutout to the warm honey glazed biscuits: if you go, get enough for everyone! Special shoutout to the service, especially the host: my girlfriend’s phone died, and so she couldn’t manage her insulin pump. The host didn’t even blink when we asked if he could help, he just took the phone, found the right cable and kept an eye on it for us until it was sufficiently charged. If I lived in Boston, this place would easily be one of my go-to spots for drinks, lunch or dinner. To the crew who worked the dinner shift on August 30th, 2025: you were the best!

Googled for a good place to eat on our last evening in Boston and found this one. Being from Louisiana, I'm always leary about trying places with Southern cuisine. To my surprise, the food was pretty good. We had the buttermilk fried boneless thighs, collard greens and their famous biscuits. Did was hot and fresh! Wait staff was great too. It's a little on the pricey side, but I chalked it up to the location.

We decided to try this place on a whim on our last day in Boston and it did not disappoint. From the drinks to the food, it was all delicious. I love that it is tapas style so that we could try a little of everything. I would definitely recommend the honey biscuits!

One of very few restaurants where the ambience, service, and food are all top tier and incredible. We tried the BBQ shrimp, Mac n cheese, chicken sliders, and whipped ricotta. I truly have no other words than…wow. This place is a must must must for anyone looking for southern comfort food to heal their inner child. Every dish and every bite was tastier than the last. The staff is kind. And the VIBES were immaculate! Absolutely worth every penny and honestly the menu, in my opinion, is well priced. Top notch food without overwhelming prices. Highly recommend!

Went here on a rainy afternoon the day after I arrived in Boston. No problem getting a table but did get very busy about 15 minutes later. It has more of a bar vibe than restaurant but that was fine. Had a decent variety of dishes and they were all fantastic. The unique drinks were inventive and tasty. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Boston.

Went on a Saturday afternoon so the menu was limited. Ordered eggplant bao which was good, monkey chicken and chicken and waffle are okayish. Also had mai tai which was very strong. Overall the food was average.

I really wanted to love this place as everything on the menu sounded great. The staff were kinda mundane and service seemed unusual slow. We try many different dishes and honestly they were fine just nothing really stood out as great. The portions were relatively small but probably fair for the price. Overall maybe I came on the wrong day, but I won’t be visiting again.

I think the marketing is misleading, this is a drinks & apps/ little bites place, not a full meal restaruant - at least not at lunch time. Food was good for what it was, but was not enough for an entire meal. Ended up next door at China pearl hours later and wished we went there in the first place.

Searched tapas for some smaller plates, and Shōjō delivered. Had their Edamame dumplings, Fried Eggplant Bao (spicy!), and Taiwanese Basil Popcorn Chicken. All excellent. Staff was friendly, vibe is chill. Recommend to everyone.

The place seems very popular because it got very crowded soon after we arrived. We arrived early because we had to catch a show later. The place is more like a bar and very dark that hard to read the menu. The server who seated us seemed damn care but later another one was lovely. We got Bao and kimchi fried rice and both were very salty. Maybe bad day for us!

Always a great spot for drinks and good vibes. They offer a solid selection of shareable bites, which makes it perfect for groups or date nights. My partner and I tried the duck fat fries, Wu-Tang tiger style ribs, and the pork belly baos. The duck fat fries were crispy and satisfying—nothing too out of the ordinary, but definitely well-executed. The baos featured generous cuts of pork belly that were tender and juicy. I personally would’ve liked a bit more sauce to balance the flavors. As for the ribs, they were tender—fall-off-the-bone quality. While the flavor profile wasn’t my favorite, I really appreciated how meaty and well-cooked they were. Overall, it’s a great evening spot to hang out with friends.

Food was good. Everything tastes great. The cornbread was really good. This is a good spot to stop in and grab something before a concert or a game. They have live music which was really nice. The cost of the food was really good for what you got. Portions were good size.

I’ve had so many great nights at Loretta’s Last Call — and honestly, half of them weren’t even planned. Just straight-up good vibes. I’ve caught a few live performances here, and I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure how the setup would handle live music. But they pull it off really well — solid sound, fun energy, and a crowd that’s always into it. If you didn’t know, now you know that Loretta’s Last Call is actually Boston’s original country bar and venue. Whenever I find myself on Lansdowne Street, I somehow always end up drifting into this spot. It’s got that kind of pull. And aside dining with them, I love to sneak to the pop-up back door donuts they have right outside for a sweet treat after. The staff here are also super sweet. The girls and the guys— and they keep things impressively clean considering how packed it gets on game nights or even before concerts. Oh- and they also have line dancing nights ever so often which yes its really a thing and its super fun!!

So much fun! Get the crouquettes if you want an AMAZING small snack before the game! We caught an amazing singer live between a tour and a game at Fenway ... We'll definitely be back!

I was in the area and went to stop in, there was lots of people outside so I didn’t notice someone was taking IDs at the fence before you got to the door. The man yelled at me to walk back to him after I got to the door, I then went in and they were very busy. They asked if I had a reservation and I didn’t and the wait was too long. I asked the lady at the front if I could use their restroom before leaving and she said no problem and pointed me in the right direction. Then on my way out a different security guy still several feet away from door leaning on the fence yelled at me to come talk to him. He asked me if I was stupid and couldn’t read and then he pointed to a sign that said no public restrooms, I told him I didn’t see the sign and the lady up front didn’t tell me that and said it was okay. He then told me sure what ever but that I now had to tip him and his friend. Both security men stood over me laughing and trying to intimidate me. I was a women walking all alone and it was very scary. If I couldn’t get a table or use the restroom that would have been fine but I should have just been told so at the front host. Having employees act like this to young women is absolutely not okay. I didn’t tip them I just walked away but the whole thing was out of line a humiliating.

Great location, friendly staff. Outdoor patio great for people watching on nice days. Food was pretty bland and uninteresting. Expensive due to proximity to Fenway Park. A good place to hang out before/after ballgames, but not somewhere I'd go explicitly for the food.

Going north to get southern style food is pretty counterintuitive- but effective it seems! This place sells true southern style chicken, ribs, cornbread and biscuits better than any I've ever eaten. The redneck Capri sun was delicious, and the buttermilk chicken and ribs were on point. This place is a gem. 2023 Update: Still as good as ever. This time had live music. We made it a point to come back here, all the way from NJ, before we headed back home. Even when "busier" we still had zero wait for a table. They could probably hire 1-2 more waitstaff, as 2-3 servers essentially run the entire restaurant, but otherwise perfect service and food. 2024 Update: Same amazing quality food and drinks. Could still use more servers, and we'd like to try the honey dipped chicken man, whenever it's available again. Red neck Capri sun is still king.

A great restaurant to enjoy delicious food. The space is nicely designed and decorated and the layout is good. The service was very friendly and accommodating even with our the large group and the chef checked couple of times if everything was good. The food was delicious, most of the meals we tried were very good. The Leslie Knop fried chicken and waffle was tasty (I was sold by the name of the meal since I am a fan of that show). We tried as well several desserts and they were good. A recommended place for an enjoyable dinner!

I’d heard a lot about Moonshine, and finally had the chance to check it out. We came in a little late (around 10:25pm, with the kitchen closing at 10.30pm), so things felt just a bit rushed, but the staff handled it with fast and friendly service. The food really blew me away—especially the jalapeño crab Rangoons and the bacon-wrapped stuffing bites. Absolute standouts! Drinks were tasty too; the garnishes could’ve been a touch more polished, but I get that the vibe here leans more toward comfort and creativity than fine dining pretension. What really makes this spot special is the personal touch—the owner, who’s also the chef, came out with the food herself. She’s not only talented in the kitchen but also a great artist, which adds so much character to the place. Definitely want to come back soon for brunch—if dinner was this good, I can only imagine how amazing their brunch spread must be.

What a gem! We visited Moonshine 152 in Boston during a family trip from California and had an incredible time. Chef Asia Mei, daughter of my TaiChi teacher, Master May Chen is truly gifted. The menu is a vibrant fusion of Asian flavors, and everything we tried was delicious. The Korean BBQ tacos were especially spectacular! The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming, the drinks were fantastic, and the staff made us feel right at home. Whether you’re a local or visiting Boston, this is a must-try spot for a fun and flavorful evening out.

Father's Day dinner at Moonshine 152 was an adventure in flavor. We were lucky enough to have fabulous service from Sandra. We chose to eat family style starting with cocktails and then into appetizers. We shared a few entrees and wrapped up with some amazing deserts. Asia brought us some of our dishes and chatted with us. It was an exceptional experience.

Out of this world delicious. This place is on an other completely different level than any other place that serves food. Cos this place does not serve food. It delivers the most unique, delicious, custom, savory, sweet delicacies from the beautiful mind of chef Mia. This is a bucket list spot for and serious foodies. You will cherish the experience here.

I stumbled across Moonshine 152 on my first night in Boston for a business trip, and I’m convinced I found one of the city’s culinary gems. The cocktails? Spot-on. The food? The kind that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate it. And the service? Let’s just say the owner/chef herself came over to our table, chatted with us for five minutes like we were old friends, and even surprised us with a free butterscotch pudding (which, by the way, should be illegal for being that good). I loved it so much, I came back the very next night and it was another flawless experience. Two-for-two on incredible meals, creative drinks, and warm hospitality. Moonshine 152 isn’t just a restaurant, it’s the kind of place you immediately start recommending to everyone you know. Also, our waiter, Ben, was funny, attentive, and fun to talk to. Five stars, no hesitation. If you’re in Boston, do yourself a favor and go. Then go again.

We couldn’t get a reservation at our preferred time since it was a Saturday night, but it worked out just fine. The bar was full service and had a great vibe. The lighting and decor were beautiful, with warm tones and cherry blossoms that made the space feel magical. It was the perfect setting for a cozy date night. The tacos were amazing. The fish tacos were our favorite — super fresh, warm, and packed with flavor. The ground beef tacos (gordita crunch style) were a close second. The duck tacos were just okay in comparison. The drinks were excellent. I started with the mango cucumber margarita (because tequila is cheaper than therapy, right?) and really liked it. My partner had the espresso martini and loved it. For our second round, I had the "Beautiful Liar" with prickly pear, tequila, elderflower, orange blossom, and black lava salt. My partner went for the "Garden of Eva" with mezcal, watermelon, and basil. Both were nice, but we still preferred our first choices. Overall, it was a fantastic date night with great food, drinks, and ambiance. We’ll definitely be coming back.

I went to Citrus and Salt to celebrate my birthday, the restaurant esthetics were nice. I loved the vibe of the place. The food was good and I tried the octopus which was very good. I hope they create more dishes for the menu.

All in all a positive experience. Only complaints I have is they initially forgot the beef on the taco salad we asked for, our food came out at different times and I felt bad my step daughter had to wait another 5 minutes for her food…and then the restaurant called me saying I didn’t pay, all because they didn’t look under the check where the $100 that included a 25% tip. But the food was good, nothing special and the atmosphere was beautiful.

Sunday brunch for this spot, for a chill, great scenery, great vibes with all the right songs, tequila & tacos! I got to go during brunch times, the waitress checked off the vibe check! Was able to help me out exactly with what I wanted! I told her what I was feeling and she reassured that what I wanted was THE items in the menu! I could have ordered TWO orders of the pancakes! But probably would have had to be carried out! Do yourself a favor & grab the Cornbread Pancakes has is (if you like everything there) TRUST ME ! With the tater tots make sure to cut the egg over it before trying so it’s not as dry!

Food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. We were sat next to the kitchen and were unable to chat much due to the noise, but our server placed us at another table which was great. I order my food without an ingredient as I did not like the taste of it, and 1/2 of my meal was made properly and the other half had the ingredient I requested not be included. Overall the food and drinks were delicious and at a great price and the service was great, I would just recommend double checking your food if you have dietary restrictions. Additionally, this is a beautiful restaurant location with a pretty interior if you are looking for a pretty place to have a meal.

My wife and I had an amazing brunch at Citrus and Salt thanks to Manuela our fantastic and attentive server. Jenn, the manager, was a very hospitable host. We felt very welcomed.

This was such a fun dining experience! It's a very eclectic array of foods with so many flavors to try. Our server, Josh, said the best way to describe the food they serve was "saucy" and that honestly is true. So many good sauces, with flavors from all over the world! We did The Ride, a fixed menu with 8 plates plus dessert. They were flexible with some dietary needs and our server was fun, knowledgeable, and had fantastic service. We loved trying so many different things and enjoyed some lovely cocktails alongside it all. Such a great spot to try new flavors and have a special date night!

I recently had a meal at Brassica, and overall, it was a great experience. The risotto was creamy and flavorful, and the pizza had a wonderfully thin crust, very much like a classic New York-style pizza. The rigatoni pasta was tasty, though not particularly standout, but still a solid choice. The fried rice was packed with flavor and really hit the spot. The BK fried chicken (we ordered the larger portion) was incredibly tender and had just the right amount of sweetness served with a small portion of homemade mustard sauce on the side and lemon wedges, it was definitely a winner. However, the real star of the show was the Brussels sprouts. They were absolutely fantastic, crispy, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor. Definitely the dish that left the biggest impression, and I’ll be coming back just for those!

Brassica has one of the best brunches in town. The cocktails are wonderful and the food is top-notch. I love their commitment to changing up the flavors just enough to keep you wanting more, but also keeping their tried and true gems on the menu (shout out to the chicken and waffles)! And, I always look forward to taking home one of their homeade doughnuts for later. They never miss!

We went for brunch and overall had a good time. We got the pretzel biscuit, brown butter pancakes, omelette, and breakfast fried rice. Everything looked great and the food did taste good, but towards the end of our meal we did start to feel it was a bit greasy and heavy. The vegetarian options were extensive, which I really appreciated. I would come back if I wanted to take some friends, but I think it’s slightly out of my budget to become a regular option.

I'm sorry to write that our experience was mediocre and disappointing. We went there with another couple of friends for dinner on a Friday evening in mid August. The place was full of people, apparently having a good time. The staff was busy and diligent, kind and friendly. The location is not so nice and the exteriors are somewhat rough, between a central bus station on a busy street with traffic and honking cars, and a parking lot of a funeral home, with big trash dumpsters. We sat in the back yard tent, four people around a small table with small plates. We liked the concept of sharing various plates and dishes, but the portions were small and the food was very salty and greasy (gave me heartburn). The black cod was unpleasantly smelly (fishy), and the green salad was very bitter and salty. The only way to fill my tummy was to order some bread, which was served with way too much butter, really wasteful. I saw a picture of fries in a review online and asked the waitress why it wasn't on the menu, she smiled and said it's a secret...  she also suggested the special of the day, but did not tell us the price, and that was not on the menu either. As a matter of principle and practicality, all items should be on the menu, and customers should know the prices before placing orders. The prices are pretty high and they charge around 23% fee to cover gratuity for the waiters, kitchen and bar staff. We respect and support all those good people, but do not like to be charged such high fees. Either raise the prices and show them clearly on the menu, or take whatever tips people leave and split the money between all the employees. Customers should have the freedom to decide how much they want to tip, considering the quality of food and service they received. We enjoyed spending a couple hours with our friends, but did not enjoy the food or sitting on the asphalt in the undecorated tent, with loud background noise. For us, it was not worth $40 per person (with no meat or seafood, with no dessert or coffee); there are much nicer places at that price level.

Phenomenal meal tonight - thank you!!! We went for “The Ride” - and enjoyed every dish. Tons of flavors, and this was an incredible value to get to try “a bit of everything”, plus the creamiest Tiramisu ever. The standouts for me were: Endive Salad, the Fish Collars, And the Pork Belly. Yum yum yum!! Thank you for s lovely evening, in a fun space. Our servers were all incredibly friendly and good pacing.

Bittersweet I don’t think the designer kept in mind what Brassica was before they moved. It used to be a hip, quirky spot with an artsy vibe. The new place has its own vibe, but it doesn’t feel like Brassica anymore, and it doesn’t feel like the same restaurant either. Lighting is bright and a bit chaotic. The space reads as modern, with contractor-white walls, and bookshelves , office like floor. In the bar, you can see the sound system, lighting, and some odd shelves. The fake bar top and the blue floor tiles look like something you’d find in an maybe an office food court or something.. it can read like one of those coworker places or a franchised bar rather than a unique dining experience. The food is still good, but it doesn’t feel as distinctive or exciting as It use to be.. portions seem a bit bigger too - which isn’t a good thing imo - the redesign lost the essence of what made Brassica special, leaning toward something more generic. I would have loved to have seen them leverage the older bones of the building and use warmer, more tactile finishes (tile, wood, stone) low lights, plants, brick to add character. Quick fixes: - Rework the lighting: dim down the general lighting, add a couple warm low vintage lamps, get your vibe back - Hide or integrate visible tech: conceal the sound system and shelving behind the bar - Curate the soundtrack: a more cohesive, hip vibe with music - turn it up a bit - supports conversation without overpowering it.

What a great surprise!! From the outside not much to look at-inside, a busy crowded restaurant and bar. A fancy-dive bar with a diner feel. We had a great time, service was great and the French fries are to die for!!! The chick Caesar sandwich was super tasty. We will be back.

Amazing food. It looks like a place you scurry by quickly on the road, but once you’re inside it is a whole new experience. We had the corn dog, tater tots, Mac & Cheese, and corn bread and they were great. Food brought past us to other tables (hot dog tower, sloppy joes) smelled just as good.

I’ve been here several times and I always enjoy myself. My personal favorites are the Starlite-Style Dog, Fried Chicken, and the Rockin’ Chair cocktail served cold. If you do have a choice on seating and it’s not boiling or freezing outside, the patio/outdoor seating is the place to be. Came back for brunch and it was delicious. Would recommend the blueberry and cheesecake pop-tart!

Trina's was amazing! Our daughter and her fiancé decided on a last minute elopement, and a small dinner at Trina's Starlite Lounge after the wedding. The management and staff were so accommodating and wonderful with us! They made sure we had room for 12 all together and were on top of everything we needed, including vases of water for the bouquets while we ate! The food was delicious and the whole evening was wonderful. 5 Stars all around!

Trina's is one of the best places in the world! No matter how much time has passed and no matter who is working it feels like walking into a warm hug in bar form. Food is delicious, drinks are perfect and the service is obviously a 10/10. Monday brunch is a treasure

All the food was good, had the fried chicken and it was delicious. Great selection of specialty hot dogs. The real stars were the sweet dishes: the cornbread with honey butter and the hush puppies with maple butter dipping sauce. Very sweet yet savory and indulgent. Some of the best southern style food I've had in Boston.

Great food with awesome flavors and quality ingredients. This location is all vegetarian so some of the dishes at the original aren't available or changed but everything is still tasty and fresh. The poutine remains a must try and a great dish. There is limited indoor seating but on nice days seating outside in the courtyard is the way to go. A great place for lunch or a quick bite.

"Saus is a fantastic gateway into meat-alternatives by putting their meat-free spin on classic fast food dishes. Food: I think the most successful part of the foods we tried was the overall taste. The flavors were great, but I think a general hurdle meat alternatives have is texture. Once you're approaching your last tasty bites, the texture and moisture difference from the full-meat alternatives become more apparent. Service: The staff was very friendly and gave a great drink recommendation for my chicken sandwich. Atmosphere: I think Bow Market is the perfect atmosphere and setting for Saus. The lively energy and great variety of stores in the space make visitors more open to trying new foods, leading them to try Saus!"

June 2024 Party of 5+ This place you have to try all vegan and the staff are just amazing! The sauces 10/10 the food 10/10 the people making it for you 10/10. They were so busy this day they sold out their fries. Will definitely be back!

Now Market is adorable and my friend who is local recommended we stop at Saus. Primarily vegan friendly offerings. So, the chicken sandwich is definitely tasty, the fries are just right, but the star of our visit there was the French dip, which was bursting with flavor. It was so good, we ordered a second one. My husband, who eats an omnivorous diet said it was better than any meat French dip he’s had. It’s on a crisped roll and the tender veggie meat is slightly charred, adding to the texture, flavor and bite.

Vegan premium “fast food” in a hip location. The menu is vegan I believe and my partner loves it here. They do a creative take on some American favorites. The fries and sauces in my opinion, put this place on the map. My partner loves the veggie dogs and has found a new obsession with the nuggs The folks at the counter are always friendly. There is absolutely an inclusive vibe and the ambiance is fun. The space is pretty small but there are some stools and counter space to perch at. Recommend.

Absolutely fantastic place to get some food and the location is a great spot to experience other places to eat. The staff were friendly and the food was made quickly. Their cauli-falafel was amazing! Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a light vegetarian dish!

Stopped by on a late Monday afternoon, when most places in the area aren't open. Nice folks and interesting menu. Seems this location is the only one fully vegetarian. Had their Spicy "Chicken" Sandwich and fries. As a non-vegan, the sandwich was pretty good. Fries had a bit too much salt but were fresh and tasty. I liked the outdoor seating in Bow Market, with a lot of other places to check out and explore. Also had a Dorchester Festbier Lager and Down East Cider Donut to wash it down. Wish the cups were a bit larger 🙄.

Ordered in person for take out, the creole chicken with rice and beans plate ($13.00 pre-tax). It also came with two pieces of sweet plantains. Absolutely delicious! Loved the pikliz as it reminds me of kimchi. The chicken portion and pikliz serving could be a little more, but overall fantastic! Their "Asian" dishes are definitely Asian inspired, which is very sweet seeing cultural food fusions. We need more multi ethnicity celebrations like this in our communities.

Not a bad little spot. My wife and I ordered the chicken sandwiches. I had the spicy one and it was real good. Perfect amount of spice. Fries were great. My wife said her chicken didn't have much flavor but it was crispy and tender. Mac and cheese was good but needed salt. Staff was very nice and helpful. No public bathroom

I really enjoyed the food here, I got the crispy chicken sandwich with plantain’s & it was really good. It had flavor & it was nice & crispy as well as spicy. I also enjoyed the salt & peppery shrimp, the peppers went perfectly with the crunchy shrimp. Overall it was great & will def. Try the breakfast next time I’m around town.

Order at the counter with some seating, very casual. We got a flatbread and the fried fish sandwich both of which were delicious. To drink we got fresh squeezed limeaid with berry and it was excellent. We'll have to go back again and try more things!

A great concept Southeast Asian, Haitian, and American fusion restaurant. The food is delicious and made to order. The menu is also seasonal so you have to come back and try the new dishes. There are delicious vegan and vegetarian options along with the rest of the menu. You don't need to be in the neighborhood to try this delicious restaurant. I trekked over and it was so worth it.

This is not authentic Haitian food. Wings got No flavor, the griot under cooking with lots fat. The amount of food not worth the money.

I was staying for one night in Boston in the area and did a lot of searching online to fine a decent meal reviews and pictures looked good for this place so we ordered two spicy chicken sandwiches which came up to~40$ plus tax & tip. Considering how much I paid and what I was expecting all I have to say is it was very disappointing. Why? because it was not crispy plus not spicy at all… it’s not even close to be good as Chick-fil-A spicy sandwich. So if I’m paying extra for chicken sandwich it has to be at least better than a chain. But idk people have different opinion. All in all, I expected better but was disappointed.

I ordered the avocado kale salad, which the menu stated would contain pomegranate seeds and cherry tomatoes. What I received after a 25 minute wait contained neither of those ingredients, not to mention that it didn't even have any kale or avocado! This salad cost 19 dollars, and I paid 6.50 on top of that for what turned out to be the oiliest tofu I've ever eaten. I was not offered any kind of refund - I was simply told that this can happen when you order from the touchscreen kiosk and the kitchen gets backed up. I understand that people make mistakes, but I guess at an airport restaurant there's little incentive to make it up to the customer in any way. This was the worst restaurant experience I can remember having, but if you order something else and avoid the touchscreen kiosk, you may get better results.

Yes. This is another review of the airport bar. Normally there is nothing to talk about, but this one is different. Before hopping on another flight back home, I need to get some beers before boarding. Boston airport is huge and it took me a while to walk from my boarding gate to this place. I don't remember which terminal this place is located in, and not sure what type of food they serve. But I saw a few beer tabs so that's it. Then I notice that they have an egg roll appetizer and since I am a little hungry, I thought why not. Surprisingly it wasted great. Crispy on the outside and the filling has a good flavor. It came with a dipping sauce on the side but I didn't even need it. Overall it was a good experience. The price was okay considering I am at the airport. Probably will come back.

Feel kind of had paying $20 for four small dumplings and then being told you can’t sit down if you ordered at the clearly labeled ‘order here’ kiosk Dumplings were just okay but I didn’t know they were going to be deep fried. The salad was about three bites worth of seaweed. It did come out fast and was hot.

The food was great and the ambience was mellow. The bartender stared at us continuously the entire sit, which I’m not sure why. Also they would not respond to our please and thank yous, I will not return

Ordered the chicken bao and side of “duck fries”. Overall the food was bland, portion size was small. Definitely not good value. You order through a touch screen computer and when your food is ready they don’t announce it. It’s also I’m a dead end and dimly lit corner of the airport. There are much better places in Boston Logan Airport to visit.

The food was amazing! We had the Brisket and the Swordfish Entrees, and they were both incredibly delicious, albeit smaller dishes than we expected. The La Cosmica was a great cocktail! The Hero 95 Lager was flat, no head, short pour. The MGD would have been a better choice. The Hostesses were very sweet, but our waiter was inattentive at best. The place was busy, and the band was great.

Behhive Restaurant – The food is good, but the back ribs are from another world—absolutely delicious ! The ambience couldn’t be better if you love jazz, and the live music creates a wonderful atmosphere. It even helps to mask the occasional small lapses in staff attention. The team is great, just sometimes a bit overwhelmed by the number of customers.

This restaurant has a great vibe with live music and delicious food. My friends and I went for brunch while they were playing live jazz, which really set the tone and elevated the whole experience. They have live music every day, but the jazz is definitely my favorite. The space is fairly large with two floors, the second floor houses the stage and still has plenty of seating. We kicked things off with some tasty mimosas and cocktails, then shared the pecan sticky bun and coffee cake. The pastries are on the smaller side, best for sharing between two people, so we ordered both to split among the five of us. For our mains, we had the eggs Benedict, American breakfast, and buttermilk biscuits with gravy. All the dishes were hearty, well portioned, and really hit the spot. Service was quick and attentive, which we really appreciated. Overall, it’s a great spot, perfect for catching up with friends or even a casual date!

Favorite date night location in Boston. Live music, great drinks, good apps if you’re looking for a nightcap or enjoy live music that matches the room. Have the option for two different seatings, either drinks and apps in front of the stage for the live music (if seating is available, first come first serve) and seating farther away if you want a real dinner. Seating in front of the music can be quite loud, but you’re in front of a speaker and band so you get what you came for! Drinks range in the $15-20 range each, but are great so if you’re okay paying for quality you’re in luck. Apps reasonably priced for something to pick at, dinner on the higher end but overall still expected for the venue.

Nice service, great vibe with live music and welcoming atmosphere. I would suggest asking for a table that faces the closest to the music (if that is possible?) We shared the gnochhi and fish and it was delicious. We had space for dessert and went for ice cream to a place nearby (Picco). Beehive is a great place for a date or when you have people visiting from out of town!

I can always count on beehive for live music. 👍🍸 The cocktails are also yummy! Love the vibes here. I visiting on a Wednesday, and there definitely are seats.

We had the pleasure of collaborating with The Beehive on a styled wedding shoot inspired by The Great Gatsby, and the experience was absolutely incredible. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to bring this theme to life. The entire team—led by the wonderful Mary, the director of events—was incredibly accommodating and a joy to work with. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the space is ideal for intimate weddings. I highly recommend The Beehive for a truly memorable wedding experience!

Delicious food and drinks in a warm and open atmosphere. We went for dinner in early spring and the menu reflected some of the new fresh ingredients and flavors of spring. Service is a bit slower paced to give you time and when it's busy it can take a little while to come back, but the food and drinks came out pretty quickly after being ordered and prepared. Everything tasted excellent and fresh and our biggest complaint is that the dishes were on the smaller portion side. Of course that left us with room for dessert which was also excellent. Prices are common for the area though maybe a bit high considering the smaller dish size. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and evening and would visit again. An excellent place for a date night or dinner with friends.

Some of the food was very good. Someone was just OK. 3.5 The salad with the deviled eggs and bread was excellent and the veggie burger was excellent. Pot roast looked dry. Carolina Gold, spinach and leeks, which was so named because it was Rice but not clear on the menu. my cocktail is excellent, although I would have preferred it on rocks and did not order it straight up. Corn bread is really corn cakes A boulevardier is usually served on rocks. Servers excellent

Solid food. Amazing pies. Always get the pie of the day for dessert, which is a personal size. Dining room is huge and has a southern cafeteria feel to it. Some of the sides you can tell are mass cooked and taste old from sitting around. Entrees are always fresh though. Crab and corn chowder Light and sweet. Almost zero crab though. Still decent though 3.5/5 Pork chop Large portion cook week. Nice smokiness to go with the sweet berry sauce 4/5 Pie of the day Homemade and delicious personal pie. As good as a pie can get 5/5

The service and atmosphere were both lovely. The food, however, was just fair. We asked for crispy corned beef hash and got what might have been the mushiest hash possible. Maybe crispy hash is something they cannot or will not do, but it would have been helpful if they had told us that when we ordered. We might have chosen something else. The pancake was average. And of course, you are paying hotel restaurant prices — about $60 for breakfast for two. As locals, we would not return, but if you are staying at the hotel, it might be worth it for the convenience alone.

Stopped in for a solo lunch and it was excellent. Hearty farm to table food, filling and reasonably priced. The bartender Derek was kind and chatty, with fun facts to share about the history of the restaurant. Highly recommend !

Upon entering Max Brenner, the aroma of chocolate is delightful and initiates the craving for sweets! Their specialty is chocolate and deserts so that is what I planned on experiencing. They did not disappoint. I personally am not into anything super fancy or anything, but i shared a very large pie shaped chocolate chip cookie that was everything a cookie should be. The presentation of everything ordered was amazing (again, i only ordered chocolate and deserts), and tasted very good! My favorite part was most certainly the drinks. Each drink ordered had a generous amount of alcohol, and could be treated as a dessert in itself. Aside from the food and drinks, the cleanness of the establishment could use a little more work. There is creative decorations within the building and the layout of the seating is pretty, but slightly crowded (even though it was nearly empty when I visited). The service was ok, a little need of improvement regarding customer service. Even sitting at the bar the customer service could have used a little more work. My party did feel slightly rushed (only in the establishment just under 30 minutes), and despite each menu item feeling somewhat overpriced, it was very nice experience overall. I did get a confused vibe of which crowd the owner is trying to attract, it feels very family friendly however the music genre and volume felt like they are advertising for the young party-go-errs. Great experience, and the location of the establishment is in a very touristy area!

I really wanted to love this place and I do think it's good but it just can't get 5 stars....why? Well, It was down to the experience and that was down to the staff. We brought our 10 year old here for her birthday with her 12 year old sister. I had built up the restaurant and was so excited. We came in and the front of staff was great. Very warm and friendly. We were placed at a table on the outside of the inner circle and waited for our server- timeliness was not the issue. It was when she walked up, we were all excited about this unique restaurant, you could tell she just wanted to get through the day. So our excitement was slowly diminished as lunch went on with our drip of a waitress. The food was good but not incredible. It felt like you could get it anywhere - like The Friendly Toast. It didn't exceed expectations and I could have pushed this to a 5 had it been really good. But the food was just good not great and the staff was ok not good- so here's where we are. The cups for the hot Chocolate were great though and we bought 2 of those in the shop. Also, just a note, it was a birthday lunch and nothing was done to make my daughter feel special. I booked it and told the hostess. A birthday hot chocolate or a cupcake with a candle could have been nice, but maybe this is done on purpose to get you to do the dessert. We probably won't trek into town again to go here for lunch. And we probably wouldn't come back if I was in the area.

Great service but the bar was slow so getting a drink took a while other than that this was a great place to eat and go into a chocolate coma. Next time we'd may just go for the deserts they are that filling and delicious. The food looked just like their pictures. They take pride in what they do here. The manager came by our table 2 times during our meal to check on us. This is a must try.

Insane place! Sure, it’s very chocolate focused not also great food, admittedly comfort food primarily. The quesadilla was amazing, not a heavy soggy affair, light and flakey like a thin crust pizza crust. The Mac & Cheese was excellent. Desserts were crazy, try a Hug Mug or jar dessert. Great service, fast, friendly. Lots of good choices in the area and this place won’t disappoint. Go and have some fun.

I first tasted this restaurant at Philadelphia two years ago, the experience was amazing I just felt in love with their food. Yesterday was the third time visiting this restaurant but in Boston, to celebrated my birthday, everything was so good, our entrees and the dessert. I really love their food. They kept the quality in food and services. Excellent!

The chocolat which supposed to be thé concept of this restaurant but I am trully disapointed when I saw my dessert with à tiny bowl equivalent at 2 spoons of chocolate. 👍The hazelnut waffle was super good 😔I am little bit desapointed about the waffle tacos it was not tasty and not enough chocolate. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food, staff and location. So many choices on the menu and fresh baked items to take home too. We found it to be exciting to get something different for breakfast. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. I noticed this with the other waitress working there too. So refreshing. As weird as this sounds, the back of the restaurant smelled so clean. This means, (definitely to me), CLEAN. Like they just cleaned everything. This is a place that I really want to go to again when I'm in Boston and will be sharing our experience with everyone.

This is a bit out of the way but worth the excursion. They have all your favorites and more! The people in the know order their pickle martini, delicious! The wait staff are amazing.

I LOVE Zaftigs! The food here is so good — everything tastes fresh, homemade, and full of flavor. The portions are huge, and you can tell they really care about the quality. The atmosphere is just as great as the food. The vintage-style décor gives it a cozy, old-school diner vibe that’s super cute and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that feels both nostalgic and lively at the same time. The staff are always friendly and upbeat, and service is quick even when it’s busy (and it usually is — for good reason!). Zaftigs is definitely one of those classic spots you can’t help but come back to. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves great food and a warm, local feel! 💛

A fantastic find with a cozy, home-like atmosphere. The food at Zaftig's tasted exactly like a home-cooked meal, and it was absolutely delicious. The matzo ball soup was extra special and hit the spot on a chilly night. I highly recommend the ZAFTIG COMBO, which was a perfect sampler of their best dishes. The cheese blintz was heavenly, the potato pancake and knish were cooked perfectly, and the sweet noodle kugel was a delight. We will absolutely be back to enjoy this delicious comfort food again.

Great food at an affordable price. Sunday brunch is an experience to cherish as it seems half of Brookline is here enjoying it. It will not disappoint, especially the cornbeef hash and eggs.

We went here for lunch and it was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend the Reuben, the Monte Cristo, the Pastrami and Swiss, and the French Fries. There was about a ten minute wait when we went on a Saturday morning, but they kept tables moving through quickly. Once we were seated, the service was prompt and friendly.

Food was better than I expected and I expected a lot. The latkes were crispy without being greasy, and the Lox were so fresh. I took the cheese blitzes to go, and they were delicious too.

Seriously, so much to love about this place!!! I’ve been here twice now, and the service has always been amazing!!! So friendly, assertive, and timely. The food has also been good and yummy. This last time, my family and I sat outside, so my 20 month old could watch the trucks go by. The staff were so accommodating and helped bring a high chair outside. Little acts of service and hospitality like this really elevate an experience and make it memorable. We had the best time (except for the bees) and will definitely be back.

Cafe in the book shop, fantastic atmosphere! There are seats indoor, outdoor, and upstairs. I love books so it's such a great place to relax, enjoy delicious food and drinks and being surrounded by book! Easy to order with QR code and food delivery to the table. There was a couple items didn't show up but they fixed it as soon as we asked. Friendly staffs. My husband and I had 2 coffees, a breakfast juice, samsara with grilled cheese and truck stop special with fruits to shared and it was a perfect amount of food for us. The menu is actually quite big and has so many good looking options!

Lovely visit on Newbury Street! As the name says, it's a bookstore and a cafe, but the cafe section is spacious and right by the windows. It feels like a highlight getting to sit by the windows instead of it being tucked into a back corner of the store somewhere. The food was quality, with the sourdough delicious and the egg perfectly cooked. Ordering was easy. A waitress came by and asked if we wanted paper menus, but we had already ordered due to the QR code right at the table! She came back around to give us waters rather quickly. The table was clean when we sat down, no wipe down needed. They seem very on top of things here. The menu is vast, and there's something for everybody, including vegans. The drinks range from lattes to mulled ciders, and the prices were cheaper than we expected (though still Boston pricing - no $5 sandwiches here). Would return to again!

Stopped here on a whim and I gotta say. This place is super chill and charming. Tons of books , blind boxes, totebags, and other gifts. And on top of that you can get breakfast /coffee/drinks??? This place is amazing. I had the study special while trying to escape the rain and has such a nice experience. Such a cozy fun time.

A quick add to my favorite spots. I will now be adding solo brunches at Trident onto my calendar quite frequently!! The food was great, although a smidge salty for my taste, but that's what I get for ordering corned beef (and will be repeating this order bc it was goooooood). I love how the gluten free bread wasn't dry. The truth serum was also a great drink! All in all, I think it's most definitely a great spot where you can find an amazing selection of books, food, and drink.

Lovely bookshop cafe! I would spend hours here. They have a great book selection, the coolest gift shop and souvenirs and their bar tender was pretty nice. Tried their pumpkin cider with him which he hadn't tried yet- it was DELICIOUS.

This is such a cool spot! I attended a private event in the hidden, speakeasy-style room upstairs and had a great time. The store itself is a booklover's dream and was fun to browse through. I am looking forward to when I can go back and hopefully try out the café too!

The space is tight and there was a wait of about 30 minutes but it was definitely worth it. The free banana bread was such a pleasant surprise. I had the chicken and waffles. I could’ve used a little more seasoning on the chicken and waffles but they were still yummy. My husband had the French toast and 1 strawberry pancake. He had to hold himself back from eating it all. I appreciated the fast and pleasant service too. Overall, a great experience and this will definitely be a stop when we come back to Boston.

You are in Boston you are tired and want to star off your morning late but still craving breakfast well look no further, they have the best brunch in town everyday of the week. Some reviews were bad but dont let that deter you ... yes the place is small (so prep yourself to not bring too much bulkiness that day lol) but we had great conversations with the other guests. The service was great and the food was so so good !

avoided all the tourist trap stalls open in quicy market/fanueil mall marketplace and decided to check this place out for the 'best brunch in boston'. this place is really popular, went without a reservation and had to wait 15/20 mins on a thursday morning but they do take walk ins which is good. really expansive menu with plenty of options to suit anyone, we tried the french toast breakfast sandwich and the check and waffle sliders, both were pretty tasty and came with some well seasoned potato wedges on the side. service was a bit slow but it was super busy in there so thats to be expected

We looked for a place to have a late breakfast before the days adventures and decided to get a reservation the day before to give them a try. The restaurant was busy but not crazy like during a weekend. We sat right away and everyone from the host to our server were friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small (as with most cities with small places) but we did not mind. As for food we ordered the scrambled and cheddar on a croissant, 2 eggs with turkey sausage, mixed greens (extra) and a pancake (extra), latte (they only have regular milk) and a regular coffee. We did not get to try their complimentary piece of banana bread, but the food was fresh, made to order, flavorful and a good portion. Definitely give them a try for a good breakfast in Boston!

We had to wait a bit before we were able to eat there, but we were able to walk around and they texted us when our table was ready. The restaurant is small and cramped, but it is all worth it for the AMAZING food. I got one of their specials - Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was absolutely what you want for Thanksgiving. I also got a side of the Crudite French Toast - absolutely the best thing I ate while in Boston. The picture is just a side of it, so it would be even bigger as a whole entree, but you don't need more than a side. It was rich and creamy and sweet and perfect. I am not normally a person that orders french toast when I go out to eat, but I am so glad I did. Everyone loved their food here and some even tried the espresso martini flight and really enjoyed those too.

North St. Grill is the kind of spot that really ties together the Boston experience. The portion sizes are generous—right up my alley—and the overall vibe made it a fantastic stop. We only waited about 10–12 minutes, which was more than reasonable given how popular the place is. It’s definitely a tight and cozy dining area (a classic Boston setup), and while I personally would’ve liked a little more elbow room, they make it work really well. Honestly, the quality of the food completely overshadowed that minor detail. The French toast was absolutely to die for, the California omelet was incredible, and the eggs Benedict was some of the best I’ve ever had. I wish I could remember our server’s name, because the service was excellent from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and on point the whole time. All in all, North St. Grill is a must if you’re in Boston. Great food, great service, and an experience that feels both local and memorable.

This place was bomb! We ordered one clam chowder for two people, lobster roll with caviar and tuna with pistachio. The clam chowder was sooo good but the lobster is by far the best one I have tried we got it hot, the bread was crunchy but soft and moist. Really pricy meal but good for special occasions.

Saltie Girl completely lived up to the hype. The lobster roll was buttery and perfectly balanced; One of the best I’ve ever had. The oysters were incredibly fresh and paired with great sauces. The atmosphere is lively but intimate, making it a perfect spot for seafood lovers. Service was attentive, and everything came out at the perfect pace. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Boston. Definitely worth the stop!

Saltie Girl was highly recommended when I was researching “best warm lobster roll” in Boston! It definitely lived up to the hype. We came in for lunch (after being denied the day before because we didn’t have a reso - recommend making one online!). We started with the cinnamon bun appetizer. It was great!! Then, my boyfriend got the warm lobster roll and he loved it. It was beautifully plated too! I got the fish and chips - so tasty. Very crunchy on the outside, but tender fish inside! The atmosphere was very cool, but the tables were so close together. The couple next to us started to strike up conversation because we were basically sitting at the same table… But everything else was great! We’ll be back!

This is THE dining experience! True, authentic, and full of great food. The place looks amazing so chic. Even the front desk ladies look like super models. The staff are so welcome and nice, the food tastes like heaven. They could squeeze us in on the weekend and we are so grateful. The caviar dessert is so creative. Their cocktails are good and served creative as well. This is THE place and worth the hype.

We went to dinner both times but would recommend making a reservation unless you have a small party of 2 and you might be lucky with bar seating. I think their drink menu is simple and delicious. Would recommend anything seafood related and try something new!

A pretty good seafood restaurant with tasty dishes and a wide variety of menu options — great for groups. During peak meal times, the music and crowd noise can make conversation a bit difficult, but once the rush is over, it gets much quieter and more comfortable for chatting. One downside is that there’s no restroom on the second floor, so you have to go up and down the stairs, which can be inconvenient for those with mobility issues. Overall, the food was delicious.

Food is decent. I used to bring the expats and diplomats here back in the day on my farewell 2021. Everything was perfect back then. Today I took a group of friends from Babson there, everything was fine I paid for all the bill but one friend was about to pay cash for himself, so I told him to put his dish which is about $40 on cash add on from the current tip which is $50 (Our bull was around $350) so it would add up to $90. However, our server when he saw us discussing after I clicked paid on the handheld device, he decided to throw (let the flew higher than my head and let it flew down the table) the receipt at me instead of leaving it gently at the table, (not well trained to be polite) and did not say thank you or whatever, (He assumed that what he was getting). Anyway, my point was “this behavior is unacceptable for the restaurant like this”. You all and disagree with me for whatever reason but I personally think if I were to be an owner, this server which his name is Sam, would not have a second chance working there whatsoever. At least if something is wrong, the manager should be there talking to me not a guy throwing a receipt at us. Terrible serving and seating experience. However, the food was decent. Lobster roll was perfect and the burgers were great. Restaurant is beautiful. Just the rude server that ruins everything! 😆

We went out for a family birthday dinner. The place was beautiful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. You can enjoy the bar area outside of CLINK with appetizers with drinks and enjoy a variety of music. It was an enjoyable experience. The food was so delicious!! We lived the mussles and lamb was so tendered. I would recommend this place!

Came in last Sunday with my besties (elementary & high school) we had a lovely brunch. Service was excellent and the food was ok. I didn't like their breakfast potatoes though and the Acai Bowl was a letdown (see the photos) This location is such a nice place to meet... in a gorgeous trendy hotel. Easy to find and Valet was amiable and affordable (I think it was $35.00) I had a French Martini and it was delicious! Respectfully Reviewed

Staying at this hotel, I decided to try their complimentary breakfast this morning — and it was a pleasant surprise! I ordered the pancakes, and they were excellent — crispy on the edges, soft and fluffy inside. The sausage was especially memorable, juicy and packed with flavor. The presentation was also nice, with the “CLINK” logo dusted on top of the pancakes — a fun touch. Overall, I would say this was a 5-star breakfast experience. I’m excited that I still have another morning here and hope to try more items on their breakfast menu during this trip. One more highlight is that the restaurant and hotel are located in a former jail, and they’ve preserved some of the old prison features and décor — definitely worth checking out while you dine.

Clink has bars in the thick brick walls and very uncomfortable wooden chairs. The green banquette looked much more comfortable. It is a Marriott restaurant. The food is adequate but nothing outstanding, exciting or innovative. However, how much can you do with breakfast? Prices are comparable for Beacon Hill which is an expensive part of an already expensive city.

The service is professional and well polished. The menu is limited in it's choices and flavor profile of described dishes very institutional. For a restaurant being inside a self proclaimed 5-star restaurant the overall menu palate is very middle of the road. Nothing interesting, prices for dinner are fair and average for Boston, but none of the dishes were mind blowing. The cocktails are imaginative with great and interesting flavor profiles, it's too bad the menu wasn't designed around the same passion the bar manager clearly has. Breakfast menu is very overpriced and again the same institutional feel. Mass is filed with great East Coast diners with far more appetizing menu items at a quarter of the price.

Overall, I had a good meal here. It’s pretty expensive because it’s at a hotel but the quality of the food is 4/5. The ambience is cool because the hotel used to be a jail. I ordered the smoked salmon, which was excellent! They definitely did not skimp out. We did not love the French toast, however. I’d give a 3.5 if I could—I probably won’t come back, but it’s a classic hotel breakfast.

Worth checking out if youre in the area. Clam chowder- huge portion of chowder and decent flavor. A bit heavy on the potatoes and bit skimpy on the clams. 3/5 Braised lamb shank Huge portion. Tender and full of flavor. Very hearty dish perfect for a cold day 4/5 Cream brulee- perfect cream brulee with a side of apple cider sorbet, which was also tasty. Simple but very tasty 5/5

We had an AMAZING experience! Everyone welcomed us and our kids in like family. They made room for our stroller to get inside, made special Mickey and Minnie pancakes for our kids, entertained our kids, and talked with us. Food was excellent!! Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in the city!

Theo’s Cozy Corner really lives up to its name! I tried the moqueca (Brazilian seafood stew) and it was absolutely bursting with flavor—rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned. The service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Just a heads-up: it’s cash only, so be sure to bring some bills. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful food in a welcoming spot!

This small place is an absolute delight. Five tables and seven stools, it isn't big but delivers a big meal. The morning we were there we had to wait about 10 minutes before the four stools at the counter opened up and this was indeed a breakfast and a show. The griddle and main area for the staff is right there and we were able to watch a groddle-master at work. A constantly turning-overmpile of flattop cooked potatoes, along with a steady stream of eggs and other hot items being cooked up and wafting the delicious smells into the air. Our meals were big, but able to finish them, thought the amount of potatoes on the plate was quite a bit. Two eggs over hard, wheat toast, potatoes and a mug of black coffee is the all-American breakfast and it was done up right. Coffee was never cold and never more than half-full, the waitress was really on top of things and a steady stream of locals either picking up breakfast or coming in for the tables. The wife said her OJ was really good and everyone joyed their meals Heads-up that this place is cash only.

I saw the high praise on yelp and TA and thought we’d give it a try, but as we were walking past all the Italian places in little Italy I started wondering if we’d made a mistake…surely we should eat at one of them? Then we saw how tiny it was and almost turned right around. But there was one table open right by the door, and I am SO glad we made the effort to squeeze inside! Everyone was so kind and accommodating, even though with a 2yo we weren’t the easiest guests. Theo came over and said hi to our little one several times and then surprised her with a Mickey pancake all decorated. She was so excited! It was so nice to have such a chill local place to be treated like family and it was worth the walk and the close quarters…all part of the charm. Also, the food was amazing. I’d sworn off keeping leftovers this trip just because of convenience, but you better believe I took home the several slices of French toast I didn’t finish. It was delicious and beautiful! The whole family felt the same about their meals.

I had the breakfast special. It was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was the cook. He would touch raw bacon and go immediately and touch somebody else's plate to put food on it.

Found this place looking for a nice American breakfast. It’s nestled in the heart of the North end within a stones throw of The Old North Church on the Freedom Trail. When I walked in I was greeted by 3 generations of the Brazilian family that owns the place. They were very friendly and I sat at the bar. The gentleman that was manning the grill said he would make me anything on the menu and asked what I wanted. I told him I came for breakfast, but that I had noticed that there was a bunch of Brazilian stuff on the menu also. He got excited and started telling me about the Brazilian dishes, especially the fish stew which is supposedly amazing. he also pointed out a dish that another gentleman was eating with rice, steak, onion, egg, and tomato, which looked delicious. I ended up getting that and it was absolutely phenomenal. The man ended up being Theo himself and he is a super cool business owner that has been in that same location for 36 years. I would highly recommend checking it out and I’m looking forward to my next visit. ***CASH ONLY***

An absolutely fantastic breakfast sandwich! We tried the Fancy sandwich, which had the perfect amount of everything and tasted great. They were also really accommodating with substitutions and removals to make things vegetarian. We went on the weekend so it was busy but definitely worth the wait. With the number of people there and how small it is, expect to have your sandwiches as takeout.

The breakfast sandwiches from here are sooo good and its even better that you can customize all of them too... for me- this place is up there in the best spots to eat in Boston. So flavourful with flexible and personable staff, reasonable prices and a relaxing atmosphere to sit by the window and enjoy.

Breakfast at Mike and Patty’s was great! I had the breakfast burrito and it was packed with flavor—hearty, satisfying, and everything you want to start your day. My buddy got The Fancy and couldn’t stop talking about it—said it was hands down the best breakfast sandwich he’s ever had. The place has a great vibe, the service was quick, and the food totally lived up to the hype. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area!

The guys here were awesome and the food was incredible! Make sure to get the Fancy or the Burrito and you won't be disappointed. The Classis was a little underwhelming but everything else we ordered was fantastic! You got to check out this local place and give it a try!

Probably the best breakfast sandwich i've ever had. medium egg was cooked to perfection. One nugget about the visit - ordered "the crack" and added sausage + hash brown. Received "the fancy" by mistake. Customer service in correcting the issue was handled well and the correct sandwich received in less than 3 minutes, hot and fresh. can't wait to come back.

Got the Baller sandwich and it was spectacular! Fresh high quality ingredients, professional staff that is very fast and courteous. Don't be afraid that it's more expensive than MCD or Dunks, because it's several times superior. Do yourself a favor and goto a Mike&Patty's near you!

If you're in Bay Village, you MUST try this spot. It was like a revolving door. I had the Breakfast Grilled Crack and it is everything you read about in the reviews - ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I had it to go and the walk to & from my hotel was lovely ans so serene. This is a very popular spot and the staff is hysterical. They mean business but they're friendly and humorous! Add this spot to your list the in the area, you won't be disappointed!

There are places you visit by chance, and others you feel you were meant to find. South End Buttery belongs to the latter. From the moment I walked in, I knew this wasn’t just a place to have breakfast. I ordered the eggs Benedict, which were perfectly made, and a cup of coffee with a balanced, comforting flavor… but more than the taste, it felt affectionate. Why “affectionate”? Because that’s exactly how I felt from the very beginning: welcomed, cared for, at home. Three people truly shaped my experience: Valentina, who kindly welcomed and guided me to my seat; Vanessa, my lovely and attentive server; and the manager, whom I briefly met but immediately recognized as the heart behind the outstanding team. It’s not about who was kinder—it’s clear that someone here knows how to choose exceptional people. The place itself is beautiful—classic, well-kept, with a radiant energy. I didn’t just feed my body; I fed my soul. I left feeling grateful, uplifted, and inspired. I’m happy to be in Boston, but this place… I will return. Rarely have I left a spot with such a strong desire to come back.

A beautiful street bistro in the heart of the South End. The cafe is so picturesque and the food is excellent. Our waiter was very helpful and more about him later. Only reason for 4⭐️on service was due to the hostess, not our waiter, Ivan. We tried to understand what the seating policy was but couldn’t get a solid answer from the hostess. We asked how long would it take to be seated and she said an hour and if we could be added to the list. She said there is no wait list?!? So should we try to reserve online? She said they’re full but we saw some spots open for inside. There were 3 of us who attempted individually to get a coherent answer but failed. So we just waited outside and Ivan, our waiter asked how many and if we could sit outside, which we did.

such good food and atmosphere. the brussel sprouts and truffle fries were amazing. ask for all the sauces with it they were so good. they had such fun drinks and the espresso martini was one of the best in Boston

I’ve been coming here for about 3 years and can confidently say that it’s gone downhill. Food has always been good but the service is lacking. I was there this past Saturday for breakfast and my order arrived incorrect. I sat at the table right by the bar and even with 5+ employees close by, it was still hard to get their attention. I ordered the torta with sausage and it didn’t originally come with it. When I finally talked to our server, he was able to bring out a side of sausage fairly quickly. I’d noticed a small hair on the plate and it took a while for us to be checked on so I could get a replacement. When I talked to the server to let him know, he was pretty dismissive and I decided that I didn’t need the side of sausage since I could tell they were just going to change the plate then provide me with a new order. The servers and hostesses by the door were very chatty with each other and I saw a lot of PDA. It reminded me of high school. The South End Buttery was one of my favorite breakfast/brunch places in Boston but I unfortunately will not be returning.

We had a great brunch on Sunday at south end buttery. I got the huevos rancheros and my husband got the burger. I got an iced matcha latte which was great! For entrees I was between the eggs Benedict and the huevos rancheros. The server recommended both. Food was good but not phenomenal. It was yummy but not very noteworthy or really memorable. I’m not sure why. I don’t have specific feedback but it just wasn’t mind blowing for a 5 star review.

Went with a friend for breakfast on Sunday, they asked if I had a reservation, but luckily we went early enough to be seated. We got the union square breakfast and the torta rancheros & both were very clean, simple, fresh. What really stood out was the atmosphere and the interior, the ambience was definitely giving traditional Boston. Can’t believe I stumbled on this gem.

Had a great experience at Southend Buttery! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was fresh and delicious. The coffee was excellent too. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. Definitely coming back!

We ate here for two evenings because it was so good the first time we visited. The supreme garlic knots were amazing and great as a shared starter. The pasta dishes were good but the pizza particularly good as it is cooked in a wood fired pizza oven, the service was excellent on both evenings and I would definitely recommend Area Four for pasta & pizza. We sat outside which was nice but the inside had a great feel too.

We ordered for pick up as we were driving from Maine and craving this pizza for dinner. Sadly once we got said pizza home what we received was a burnt carnivore pizza. The pizza was somehow undercooked on the bottom and burnt black and crispy on top. The toppings were also charred which didn’t taste good at all. But what do you do after a long day of driving?? My boyfriend ate slices of the least burnt pieces and I had a slice but my toppings fell off my soggy slice. Smoky flavor all around. Guess I just wish someone had done some quality control before handing over this pizza to us. When you pay 32 dollars for a pizza you kind of have higher expectation for the quality of food. Very sad to have had this experience tonight. We hope tonight was just a flaw in the cooking or oven equipment. Thanks.

Area Four is the kind of place that makes you want to cancel your next few plans just to stay a little longer. From the moment you walk in, there’s this buzzy, effortless cool—part industrial hangout, part neighborhood gem. The wood-fired pizza? Absolute sorcery. The crust has that perfect char, chewy inside, and the toppings taste like they were foraged by pizza monks. We had the mushroom and the carnivore—both showstoppers. The cocktails are sharp, creative, and dangerously drinkable. And the staff? Laid-back, funny, and clearly love what they do. If you’re not already obsessed, one visit will do the trick.

The crust on the pizza was the star of the dinner. Garlic knots were also good. Service was a little slow and the restaurant is loud, but would return for the crust! There is a good selection of local beers too.

Really really solid pizza at a reasonable price. Small pizza was about $20 and can probably serve 2 people (or one very hungry person). Crust was nice and crunchy without too much flop. Great beer selection too but a little pricier ($10-13 for drafts)

We got takeout from here on two nights during a trip to Boston/Cambridge. Both times we had the Sausage and Pickled Peppers pizza and we think it's probably the best pizza we have ever had! Also it's ready super quick and was piping hot! The large pizza is a great size!

Ok, I love pizza and wings, and this has got to be one of the best I have ever had. The pizza was amazing, fresh ingredients, perfect portions of toppings, very fast delivery to table. This place is easy to get to in Cambridge, nice little park/grass area on the side for kids to run around if you need. Was in town to visit my daughter at Northeastern and we tried this on Saturday and Posto Sunday. Don’t waste your time with Posto, that place is a joke. Area Four is by far one of the best pizzas places I have ever tried. The wings were also perfect, not drenched in sauce, perfectly baked so there is a crunch but not dry. Waitress was friendly as well. Plan ahead with a reservation or go early or later than the rush times. Trust me, you’ll really enjoy the food!

Located inside the prudential mall. It a huge place. We went in wit out reservation and got seated at the bar. The garden burger and pasta were delicious. The fries that came with the burger was top notch. Corn chips and avocado dip for starters stood out. It was beautifully presented as well. Cocktails were amazing. My favorite is passion fruit chilli Margarita. The place is huge with lots of seating areas. Perfect for large / small groups or a date night. Will definitely visit again!!

We tried our luck without a reservations and were seated right away, which was a great start. Sarah, the manager, was incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming, she really set the tone for a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. This is one of my favorite spots because they always offer great vegan options, and every guest I've brought here has loved their meal, too. The drinks are always top notch! I visit as often as I can and absolutely love it every single time.

Trendy place. Very nice atmosphere, great weight staff. We had Chilean Seabass, and it was the best prep of that fish that I've ever tasted. It was really really good. Our waitress pub Pav was great. Excellent meal, would definitely come back next time we're in Boston.

I had an amazing experience at Earl’s! From start to finish, everything was spot-on. Julia was an outstanding server who was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. She anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask and made great recommendations that elevated our meal. Siena, the manager, also went out of her way to check in and make sure everything was perfect. Between the delicious food, great atmosphere, and top-tier service from Julia and Siena, this visit was easily a 5-star experience. I’ll definitely be coming back soon! Our friend from India had a great time!

My server Chindara was great! She recommended great choices, was friendly and prompt on attending to my every need. The food was yummy and my cocktail was perfect. Allie (manager), was also friendly and checked on me often. The patio is an experience to check out for sure. All the things! ❤️❤️❤️

Juan was amazing!! It was my first time here! I came for my birthday and they pulled out all of the stops to make the night so special!!! He brought out their AMAZING crème brûlée cheesecake! It was magical ✨and a card signed by all of the staff how KIND!

Back Bay Social is an American Bistro and Brunch spot located in the heart of Back Bay, right near the Convention Center and Prudential Center shopping mall. We came in during lunch, and it was quite busy. Staff were very friendly, making sure we were seated promptly and our food came out quickly. I got the Chicken and Waffles. The maple syrup included was not too sweet or sticky, and went well with the waffles. For the price, the portion was pretty good, and the chicken had big portions. I think the chicken was a bit too heavy for me, but that's just my opinion and other members of my party enjoyed it a lot more. They also had good tater tots as well.

Loved the area and all the shops around. Back bay showed us exceptional service. Did was great! The Caesar salad w. Hips & trout pieces were phenomenal. Burger, chicken sandwich and truffle fries were great too. We had the downeast original Cider beer which is my favorite when in Boston! Must try 💕

I arrived 15 minutes before my reservation; I was seated right away. I ordered hash and eggs. The scrambled eggs were good. The meat portion was generous. I asked for some bread which did not arrive. I am ambivalent about recommending the restaurant.

Just steps from the Prudential Center AND the Convention Center, the location is as central as it gets. I've been here a few times, for drinks for dessert, to dine, all sorts of reasons. And every occasion it delivers. Even despite the mid-day rush because Boylston St can be crazyy, service is seamless: welcoming, attentive, and unhurried. There's tables booths and bar seating, on two different levels, and both level has its own unique vibe. Upstairs is more relaxed but downstairs speaks for itself. Fun spot! My dad loves the chicken and waffles, I'm a big fan of the Avocado Toast & Chicken Parm, and my go-to cocktail is the Blackberry Lust. Oh! And they offer tater tots which are also my FAVorite, and they're nice and crispy here.

Nice little place to grab some drinks and food. Fairly quiet tonight, but enjoyed to ambience. The food was excellent for the price. The truffle parmesan fries were perfectly seasoned and dressed. The steak tartar was nicely assembled and tasted delicious. The portions were sizable and shareable. Service was quick and attentive.

Shakshuka is a must try 🥘🫓! The portion isn't that big but great for one person or to share with another as a small brunch. It comes with a pita that's hot and very soft. Also, very picture worthy 📸

Delicious Turkish menu with extremely fast service. The place though small it has a warmth about it. The siting space is limited but waiting is worth it as food is amazing. The servers are courteous and sweet. No nonsense place with some amazing dishes. U can also pick up thinsg off the shelf. Nice memorable experience.

What a gem! My husband and I stopped in here to grab a quick lunch on a recommendation. We were blown away by the food, pastries, drinks and little mini market. We ended up buying some treats to bring home. Highly recommended!

Wow the flavors here are so fresh and unique!! When we entered, I was skeptical, but the food was so good and like nothing I've tasted - admittedly I don't eat at meze places super often. The chicken wings (date molasses bbq and lemon herb on top) were SO good, the flatbread and shawarma tasted different from any other place bcus of the filling. The shakshuka came with pesto which was jnteresting. Highly recommended. There's not a lot of seating and it's a free for all so don't come with a group expecting to sit.

I love Sofra! I grab lunch to take home all the time and when I can get a seat inside for breakfast I love to sit by the window! Pastries are amazing, the morning bun latte is my go to, and all of their mezze options are fab!

Tavern in the Square near North Station is a solid spot, especially for its location in downtown Boston. It’s on the pricier side, as expected in the area, but the food is well prepared and the atmosphere is great. I sat on the terrace and really enjoyed the weather and the overall vibe. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they accept major credit cards. I’d definitely recommend it.

Lovely staff with both indoor and outdoor seating. Their burgers were great, and true to the level that you ask for the burger to be cooked. Their Parmesan rosemary fries were great, you will not regret! The burgers themselves were quite large, you will not leave hungry. The cookie dessert you can tell was not made fresh, the pan is cold, and the cookie was cold which was a bummer. But it still tastes ok.

We stopped by Tavern in the Square after a day of travel, and it was the perfect spot to unwind and grab dinner. We were greeted right away and seated quickly in a cozy little booth that felt private and comfy. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was great, and our server Russell A. was top notch — super attentive and friendly the whole time. We started with the whipped feta, which was a mixed bag for us — I’d give it a 4/10 but my wife really enjoyed it and rated it closer to a 7/10. For mains, I had the crispy ranch chicken sandwich with fries, and she got the ahi tuna bowl. My meal came out hot and fresh, fries were perfect, but the sandwich was a little heavy on the breading and could’ve used a bit more flavor (thankful for the ketchup and ranch). My wife loved her tuna bowl — said it was flavorful and really well done. Something that really stood out to me as someone with food allergies is that Tavern in the Square is a completely nut-free restaurant. It was such a relief not having to mention my tree nut allergy or worry about cross-contamination — it instantly made me feel safe and comfortable dining there. Overall, great service, nice environment, and solid food after a long day. We’d definitely come back!

Tavern in the Square, the North End branch was absolutely stunning. Clean, beautiful, and relaxing atmosphere. I love the food we ordered. We ordered chicken and burger. They were both well cooked and delicious. The portion was enough and it wasn’t pricey at all. I would go there again.

Though it was super busy, our group of four got seated in about 20 minutes. We sat and talked for a couple of hours as we were catching up with friends we hadn’t seen in years, our waitress never made us feel rushed and did a great job serving us. Two of us in our group have Celiac and this is HANDS DOWN the best gluten free food I’ve ever had. The breading sticks well, it’s crispy, and soooo delicious!!! We ordered the fried pickles, buffalo cauliflower, fish and chips, Caesar salad, and chicken strips!! All were fabulous! Will definitely come here again. Drinks were also great!

Wow. Just wow. When we came in about a month ago, the service we received was absolutely exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable about food allergies and very helpful in accommodating them. Additionally, he was patient and attentive even though we were heading to an event and rushing in and out of the restaurant. Not to mention, the food was phenomenal. You would have no idea the fish and chips and mac and cheese were gluten free. They were some of the best of those items I've had since I switched to eating gluten free. Although the restaurant was a bit loud, that didn't detract at all from how wonderful our experience was.

Super food, super friendly staff, super atmosphere outside in the summer for breakfast. So much good stuff to say. Got the 3 scrambled eggs, with taters and linguica. Delicious. We also had the French toast which was the best we had ever had. Bread seemed so fresh and melted in your mouth. Also had the stuffed strawberry French toast which was awesome. But I like the plain French toast with maple syrup the best just because of the pure flavor. But it was all good. Had cinnamon cream of wheat, fruit cup, sausage links and patty and all was good. Links had a very good flavor to them. They also brought out a basket of buttered toast on fresh bread and a sweet cake like bread. It was so delicious. Everyone was friendly and helpful and loved explaining the Portuguese parts of the breakfast. Highly recommend this place for breakfast. Wish we here longer to go back and try the Azores breakfast.

It's been over 13 years since my last review of Neighborhood Café. I have to say it was a pleasure to see some familiar faces because I haven't been there in at least 5 or so years. Trust me, it wasn't because of the food and service; it was an old friend I no longer associate with--this was their favorite place, and now that they moved away, it's mine again. Jalayne, one of the twins who's been there for at least a decade, was our server and she remembered me, so that was wonderful. Service was still great and even though Yum is next door, I feel you cannot beat the service and food of this mom-and-pop restaurant. I ordered the build-your-own omelette and my wife had the Cajun breakfast. I love the fresh-squeezed orange juice and the environment. The food came out in a reasonable time and it was just as great as I remembered it. Thank you, Jalayne, for making our visit so wonderful.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the city. The grapevine covered courtyard is really lovely in the summer, it’s very pleasant to sit outside in the shade with gentle breeze. Comfortable seating, pleasant and relaxing music. Very good service, fresh and tasty food in generous portions, very reasonable prices. Very good experience overall :-)

Came here for breakfast with my work colleagues and initially was not hopeful to find hearty vegan options given the Portuguese cuisine. At first, I didn’t see anything on the regular menu, but luckily I asked our server and they referred me to the Vegan Breakfast Special they had! It was so delightful I was shocked- super filling, protein-rich, creative, balanced, and tasty meal of beans and rice, fried plantain, spinach, broccoli, mushroom, tomato, and tofu medley, plus home fries, and a fruit cup to start off with! I was so glad to see a dedicated vegan option clearly labeled. I hope this can become a permanent menu item. Thank you, Neighborhood Restaurant for your accommodation!

What an absolutely amazing place! Staff super friendly, the outdoor dining was fantastic, and the food on point!!!! Drove up from jersey for the Wallen concert and made a pit stop there for breakfast, it did not disappoint! Definitely going back…

Vibes + affordability hit a perfect peak here. It’s as welcoming and homey as you want it to be. Simple but tasty food. Menu is large, but isn’t the most diverse (mostly consists of a variety of omelettes and pancakes). They make up for it with various specials and build your own options. They know what they are going for and they do it well.

Great food, super rich in flavor and cooked well that it’s not dry. Comes with live music on weekend, and atmosphere is also lively. Can be loud if someone wants to enjoy the restaurant, it can be hard to hear. Service seems to be unorganized as we had 4 people asked if we ordered already, yet our food and drinks took awhile...Overall would recommend this place to try out!

Went out here for a double date. Super great food, a live band and great service with the owners actively present. Would definitely come here again. The Sugar Baby drink is to die for. Beware of running late or thinking it's a game--10 to 20 minutes late from the evening opening and you'll lose your spot already haha. It gets filled up exceptionally quick. Make a reservation or try your chances at your own risk!

Denise service was fantastic! She took good care of us. Make sure to make a reservation well in advance. We didn’t and had to sit at the bar. Which was nice too. Great vibe! Loved the live music but was a bit loud when trying to have a convo. Wait staff was friendly and provided great service. Food was good. Menu had a variety of items with more seafood options than anything else. My girl enjoyed the jambalaya - said it was the best she'd ever had and was spicy! I enjoyed my burger. Drinks were tasty but not strong.

Small, cozy type setting. My co-workers & I went to Sunday brunch but had a late reservation, so we missed the live jazz music..😬 Otherwise, GREAT food, atmosphere & service. Our server was awesome. The cheesy eggs & the very well seasoned fried chicken were Amazing, along with the mac n cheese. I would definitely go back again, but earlier to enjoy the live music. This place is crazy busy, I would strongly recommend reservations!!!

This is the best place to see black and brown people, hear black and brown music LIVE, and eat soul food... the atmosphere is right out of a Harlem Renaissance-era jazz club. Whenever i have friends from out of town who ask me "where the black folk at?", i take 'em to Darrly's. Updated from visit on 4/19: Still the Blackest restaurant in the city. Best shrimp and grits on the East Coast. Catfish strips are a go-to, and the atmosphere is classy. The only place to get Uncle Nearest whiskey in your cup. ALL their drinks are on point!

Very quick service, best place to grab a quick bite thats always consistent! The chicken veg soup is pretty good, a little lacking in flavor, and their pastries are always consistently great! Definitely my preferred cafe chain around Boston, but be prepared to fight for a seat for most times of the day!

Nice place to use free internet with yummy sweets and drinks. Free cold water was available. But Fresh juice was in bottle. Not freshly squeezed daily I think. It was difficult to find tables. Table was dirty with bread crumbs and I ask them to clean. No one cleaned. So I had to clean myself. Coffee was good cinnamon bread was yummy.

I felt the place was a little over rated. The breakfast was quite fresh. However the cakes and savouries weren’t. It’s a chain all over Boston and could find a tatte at every nook and corner.

The place can get pretty packed, so you may have trouble getting a table. Other than that, I had a great experience. The breakfast croissant was delicious and every ingredient tasted so fresh. The coffee is really nice too. Nice place to have breakfast.

Food is delicious! The service was good and we got our food quickly. I ordered the Tomato Basil soup and a piece of the Honey Apple Cake, so very good. I will definitely eat here again.

Bright open space with plenty of seating. Lots of options for everyone including gluten free crepes. I got the fresh apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon crepe. The flavors were fine but I was confused about the apples not being cooked through. They were basically raw so the whole thing didn’t really meld together. The flavors were nice, but would’ve been perfect if the apples were cooked through and the flavors were melted into them. The chai latte was kind of bland and watered down. I’ll definitely go back to try a different crepe and drink in the future.

After seeing Mr. Crepe bustling at night multiple times, we decided to try out a crepe for dessert. I got the banana and Nutella crepe, and it was delicious! The crepe was perfectly crisp and chewy and the fillings were plentiful. I'll definitely be stopping by more for dessert!

So 4/5 is generous here but I’m rating it with someone who knows it well and they praised it enough for the 4. Conveniently located on davis square.

Does get quite full on weekends, but seating usually frees up in time for your order to be prepared. Hot chocolate - actually pretty good dark chocolate flavor, not overly sweet Pepper biscuit with bacon - great BEC, eggs could benefit from some added seasoning but pepper biscuit is delicious

I never really get to come here due to the hours not aligning with my job, but I always hear great things! The first time, I tried a pumpkin spice iced coffee and a donut muffin, both of which were great. The second time, I decide to order my usual drink, matcha. I knew as soon as they called my name, I knew that the matcha would not be good. The color was not nearly vibrant enough, and all I can taste is oatmilk. I’m disappointed at the quality of the drink considering the cost, but I also understand that coffee forward places do not usually excel at other drinks (esp matcha). I would warn matcha connoisseurs to avoid fig’s matcha and either order something else, or order somewhere else. I’ll likely still return, but definitely not for anything other than muffins and/or coffee sadly.

I can’t stop thinking about the egg cheddar I got. I eat eggs almost every day and this is one of the best egg and cheese sandwiches I’ve had. I love the spicy touch of the harissa, what a great addition. Mocha was also good! Very cozy atmosphere

This is just a cute little place. I love prosciutto/goat cheese/arugula/fig jam combinations, so the Market sandwich is the way to go for sweet-savory or focaccia lovers. (Also in my opinion their focaccia is far superior of a breading than any other.) Lattes are not bad - fairly sweet though I appreciate the maple brown sugar & soy options! The only thing is it’s tricky to get seats the later you come since space is so limited inside, so plan accordingly :)

I got the Market sandwich, as a suggestion from one of the employees. I thought the pairing of prosciutto and fig was amazing but the overall sandwich lacked a wow factor so I am giving it a 4. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but just not amazing. I definitely plan on coming back to this place to try out their other items because the staff was so amazing. If you’re in the area it’s worth checking out!

Absolutely deserving of the Best Cafe in Somerville title! The line can be daunting but the staff work hard to keep it flowing and delivery high quality food and drinks! I doubt I’ll ever be disappointed on any future visits. Food: The drinks were very refreshing and a great wake up jolt of caffeine. I was intrigued by the espresso soda and I was not disappointed. It was such a nice blend of fruity flavors that slide perfectly into a familiar coffee taste. The sweet ricotta toast and the egg cheddar sandwich were amazing! The sourdough and ciabatta were the stars and their great bready textures made for perfect vehicles. Service: The staff worked like a well oiled machine but still offered great hospitality! Atmosphere: The popularity does cause the cafe to be busy but everyone was very respectful of one another’s space so it wasn’t an overwhelming crowd. The decorations also added to the energetic atmosphere.

If you want a breakfast sandwich that literally makes your eyes roll back into your head- this is the place to go!!! I am sincerely always delighted with anything I've ever ordered at this restaurant- savoring every bit til the last bite. The interior is cute, the staff is friendly, and it's located in a quite area that has both indoor and outdoor seating. While this place is incredible, the seating is pretty limited inside, so I wouldn't recommend eating-in for large groups (4+). But if you're looking for a brunch date spot or somewhere to-go this place never misses. My favorite sandwich is 'the market' (photo attached).
