Food was as close as it could get to authentic Italian!We loved the chefs special ravioli with truffle sauce and hope that is something they add to the menu, the meatballs were on point and a good portion size. It would have been nice to be given a bit more bread to scoop the yummy sauce as Italians do. Service was quick and friendly, we loved it and look forward to coming here again!

Agreed to what most of the people say, pastas here are fresh and this place really lived up the hype. Upon arrival we were greeted and directed to our seat. We arrived just after the peak service at around 8pm, on a Friday, but the place is still relatively full. Food came in quickly after ordering and they are just as good as how most people would describe them here. Every single dish was on point and we cannot wait to try more!

Delicious freshly made pasta in a beautiful Gorgonzola and walnut sauce. A lovely glass of wine to go with it. The salad was less inspiring, but it is the middle of winter. Thoughtful, friendly staff made for a pleasant meal for one.

Pasta & Cuore was such a treat. You can tell the quality of the pasta from the very first bite. It’s great to see it being made fresh in-house, and even better that you can buy some to take home. The venue is very tidy. No complaints from me. While it feels to me that it would be better suited to smaller groups (up to four), although we did see some larger tables when we were there. We had the Spaghetti all’Amatriciana and the Tortellini in Brodo. The latter was a touch under-seasoned for my taste, but still flavourful overall with some perfectly cooked pasta. The tiramisu was a great way to top off our meal. It was beautifully presented, and I really liked the punch of coffee in it. Well worth a visit!

Went here for lunch and had a bowl of pasta and a coffee — both were delicious. The pasta was super fresh, you can tell they make it in-house, and the sauce was simple but really tasty. Nothing over the top, just solid, well-made food. The coffee was strong (in a good way) and went well with everything. The place itself is small and cosy, with a nice relaxed feel. Not too loud — just a good spot to chill and eat properly made food. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it didn’t take forever to get served either. Would definitely come back, maybe for dinner next time.

Service was amazing. Bruschetta was fantastic.. enjoyed the meatballs and the bread. Didnt have dessert but other family enjoyed it all. When I went to pay the bill they werent super friendly and missed something I was supppsed to pay for. Overall a great experience. They even sang happy birthday to my cousn.

Upscale Italian restaurant located in the trendy waterfront of Auckland. The meals were tasty and well presented. I had the vegetarian pasta with pumpkin filling. It was delicious but was a bit light for size (see pics). I needed to order another bowl of bread in addition to my pumpkin pasta dish. My partner had the eggplant side dish and meatballs and was very satisfied. The “deconstructed” tiramisu was lovely, but untraditional.

Had such a great time at Baduzzi! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for both a casual meal or a special night out. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly without being over the top. The food was outstanding , every dish was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The meatballs are a must-try, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. We had the Cavolo Nero Bottoni, Tiramiau, Gluten-Free Buttered Maltagliati, and Torta Caprese, everything was absolutely delicious! My husband is coeliac, so we always struggle to find an Italian restaurant with great gluten-free options, but this place was perfect. The presentation was beautiful, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the staff were so friendly. Definitely the best Italian dining experience we’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to go back! 🇮🇹✨

We had an outstanding dinner at Baduzzi, made truly unforgettable by Stella. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond in every possible way. Attentive without being intrusive, warm, professional, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great time. Two of us work in hospitality and we have pretty high expectations, but Stella exceeded every one of them. Her knowledge, timing, and energy were spot on, and she managed to strike that perfect balance between efficiency and personality that’s so rare to find. While the food was exceptional (as always at Baduzzi), Stella was without a doubt the highlight of our evening. She is the epitome of what great service should be, and an absolute credit to the restaurant.

This is my third dining experience at this establishment and it gets better every time. I had the lamb meatballs which were 10 out of 10 accompanied with the focaccia. For main, I had the tortellini which could Quite possibly be the best meal I’ve ever had. The meal was absolutely superb. If only we weren’t so full, we could have had some desert which I’m sure would have been just as great. Our server whom I did not get their name was attentive and friendly. The food was brought out incredibly quickly. I cannot rate this establishment enough.

Dined at baduzzi last night and had a fab experience! Such a warm and comfortable atmosphere. All staff were very friendly and welcoming! Our waiter Daniel was super attentive, had fantastic recommendations for dinner/drinks and provided amazing service! Food and drinks were 10/10! Highly recommend 😊

Honestly a five star experience. Exceptional food, Michelin Star level, knowledgeable friendly service, especially with the wine recommendations (next level!), all with an Italian home-cooked vibe atmosphere. Loved the kitchen-view table and Iralian server!!

Definitely a five-star restaurant you should book in advance. We went for lunch at 12 on Saturday and it was almost fully booked. Both the kawahai seafood and the spaghetti pasta were excellent, we finished every bite! For drinks, I highly recommend trying their signature options, whether cold or hot. I’ll definitely be coming back for any occasion.

Nice and cozy restaurant/cafe/bakery spot. Tried out their pasta for lunch. A friend recommended their Scampi pasta and did not regret. We also got their Pappardelle, Lamb Ragu. Decent serving portion. We also checked out their bakery section afterwards and got a Creme Brûlée donut as a sweet treat. The donut was packed with creamy custard inside along with the burnt sugar on the outside which balanced out the sweetness. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting Auckland and looking for a chill place for lunch or dinner.

Been hearing about this place for sometime. So we booked lunch today for a very special occasion. The food indeed was delicious. I got to taste a bit of everyone's order lol. Venue isn't bad at all. Was really busy I can see. A bit crowded for the size and they can spruce the place up a bit in my opinion. After all everyone's paying sort of top dollar. Service was overall good and attentive ... could use a bit more smiles guys. I found corkage fee for bringing your own small birthday day cake a bit over the top especially when we aren't asking for extra plates or cutlery. Going back? For the food...definitely yes. otherwise hmmm...

Wow a real authentic Italian restaurant serving a fantastic menu. The sauces were heavenly and could even meet Michelin standards. The service is perfect and friendly as well as helpful. Atmosphere is like being in Italy 🇮🇹 but we are in 🇳🇿 . Abit pricey but worth every single penny 👌 👌👌👍👍👍

This restaurant more than lives up to all the great reviews. The setting, location, interior, and vibe are perfectly in tune with each other. The food is incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. We had breakfast here, and you could truly say it’s a breakfast for champions! OMG!!! This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever visited in my life!!! Such a beautiful spacious spot with really tall windows that lits the place with natural sunlight but yet dim to give it this beautiful aesthetic n relaxed feel. They have an open concept kitchen where you could see all those professionals preparing the food 🤩 Menu is limited but from simple classic plates they create an elevated dish! You MUST VISIT when you’re in Auckland!

Excellent food and perfect ambiance. I had the best breakfast Mushroom, sourdough poached egg, Parmesan cheese. Very creamy and delicious. The coffee was fantastic. The only thing that concerned me a bit was they gave me a bar seat and I was sitting in front of the timber column and I saw 3 insects crawling to my plate and I guess it must be from the timber column. I did mention it to the server who said they usually do pest control. I hope they take it seriously. One of the highlights was their bakery next to the restaurant with fantastic croissants and bakery items.

Lamb was cooked incorrectly, medium rare instead well done and took long to fix. The food tasted decent. Be aware of long wait times and hard to find parking spots.

Enjoy a lovely lunch with friends. The food is amazing, especially the pizzas, which are hard but delicious. Almost everything here is really good.

I’ll start with the positives. The atmosphere was excellent — a beautiful, inviting space that immediately gave the impression we were in for a great dining experience. The wine list was also outstanding, clearly curated with care and offering some top-quality choices. The broccolini was the highlight of the meal and truly deserves full marks. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The food overall felt disjointed. My pasta was overly salty (thankfully I only ordered the entrée size), and the pizza was soft, undercooked, and lacking in flavor. Even the tomato sauce and basil were dull, which left the dish flat. The four of us shared it, and all agreed it missed the mark. Other dishes were similarly underwhelming, with little depth or balance. The initial service was really warm and welcoming, the mid service felt disconnected, with no real warmth or sense of engagement, when we had concluded our meal there was more of an attempt at some small humor.— but it felt more like it was “just a job” for the most part. (But this could also be my opinion working in the luxury/high end sector of hospitality) It’s a shame, because the setting and wine list suggest so much potential. Unfortunately, the food and service didn’t measure up, and I won’t be returning.

How about their 5 cheese pizza - yes not Quattro here 😁 Amazing kitchen and professional front of house staff that I thought was simply most impressive. Yes not your cheap pizza pasta Italian food joint, but that’s not what Ponsonby does or anyone needs. Make it count when you go out. Plus they have some free parking spaces, yes in Ponsonby and yes good luck with getting one, but still that’s very unusual and worth a note here.

Delicious food! I had the Prego Pie, and it was absolutely delicious, flavourful, hearty, and incredibly filling. The pie was perfectly crispy, and everything on the plate complemented each other beautifully. It felt like the ultimate comfort food. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes from the menu! The customer service was excellent as well. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.

Having heard from some friends that Prego is one of the best Italian spots in central Auckland, we were keen to give it a try! It definitely lives up to the hype! Getting there was easy—though depending on the time and day, parking might be straightforward or involve a short walk. The venue is surprisingly spacious and seats a good number of diners. According to their website, they don’t take reservations, so we walked in for dinner on a Monday evening. Even though it was still busy, we were seated right away. The staff were attentive, friendly, and quick to top up our waters throughout the night. For two people, we ordered the calamari fritti ($28), linguine alla marinara ($42), and filetto ($48). The standout for me was the linguine—partly because I’m a sucker for seafood, but also because the pasta was perfectly cooked and generously loaded with prawns, mussels, cockles, and tuna. The seafood was beautifully tender and fresh, adding real depth to the dish. The filetto was served with potatoes au gratin that were crisp on the outside and beautifully layered—absolutely delicious. The steak itself was topped with chimichurri and a rich jus, and we were pleased to receive it exactly as ordered: a perfect medium rare. No complaints—just a perfectly executed dish. The calamari fritti was also cooked beautifully—light and tender and perfectly paired with some greens and lemon. To end the night, we couldn’t resist trying the tiramisu ($18), especially after seeing a few go past to other tables. I’m glad we did—easily one of the best we’ve had. The sponge was nicely soaked with espresso and marsala, and the balance between the whipped egg and mascarpone cream layers was spot on. Rich, but not overly sweet—something many tiramisus struggle to achieve. Dining here is definitely a treat, but it’s an experience worth having. We’re already looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu!

An unplanned visit that turned into one of the best dining experiences I have had in Auckland. We were lucky to get a table at Farina, and every dish exceeded expectations. The meatballs were simply the best I have ever tasted - perfectly textured with a hint of crunch from a few nuts and packed with flavour. I only wish I had captured a photo of that perfect cross-section! Even the mocktail was crafted with precision and balance. To finish, the cannoli was exceptional - creamy, rich, and just the right level of sweetness. A truly delightful experience from start to finish. Can't wait to come back to try other dishes!

Great vibes on a Friday night! Food was yumm, service was great, good cocktails, had to wait for a bit, but it was busy, so that’s ok! Recommend the oysters and any pizzas, they were yumm!

My partner went with her colleagues initially and since then has been saying all good things about the restaurant so she brought me here. 10/10, service was excellent, attentive, food was fast, fresh and delish and cocktails were tasty also. We loved every single dish, will be back to try more :)

I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who looked after us: he was outstanding. He explained the menu with such honesty, knowledge, and enthusiasm, and it was clear he had a deep understanding of both the dishes and the restaurant itself. We were unsure what to order because everything looked so good and we couldnt decide as we wanted to try everything. he guided us perfectly, giving thoughtful recommendations and going above and beyond to make sure we chose what suited us best. Even though the restaurant was full, he was attentive, quick, and genuinely warm smiling the whole time and clearly enjoying what he does. It’s rare to find service like that these days. The food was just as impressive. We had a meat dish (piatto con carne) that was one of the best mains I’ve ever had in Auckland, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The linguine pasta was also delicious. But the star for me was the olive ascolane: even better than the ones I’ve had in Italy. For dessert, the cannoli was outstanding, the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. Even when it came time to pay, the staff were friendly, accommodating, and made us feel welcome right up until the very end. We truly enjoyed every moment of our experience here and will definitely be back. Highly, highly recommended!

The restaurant was very busy and loud. The dinning area is quite tight. The staff who served our table wasn’t very friendly and professional. He can’t recommend us any dishes and when we showed him the dish photos on the google he kept saying “I don’t know what is that.” When we seek staff for help and when we saw him he also avoided eye contact with us and walked away without showing interest to help us. Only the manager was able to look after us and every table was all under his control. He’s very friendly and professional. If possible the staffs definitely needs more training by him. Food wise the pizza was amazingly delicious! The veal we ordered was dry and too sweet. You needs book a table online.

I enjoyed my time here. The food was good and I like that they balanced flavours really well. Nothing was to overpowering which I quite enjoyed especially when it came to the ceviche. To add, the service I had was exceptional and the person who served me was knowledgeable when I had questions and also very kind.

Decided to celebrate my wife's 61st at Farina after having come across them during the Auckland Italian festival earlier in the year. Great ambience, attentive, knowledgeable, and humorous staff. Fantastic food. We started with a platter of olives that consisted of different varieties, plus pickled garlic. The osso bucco on risotto was one of the evening's special dishes and I had to have that and paired it with the Chianti. Suffice to say it was delectable. The wife debated between the parmigiana, gnocchi or a meat platter... and settled for gnocchi and she loved it. Topped off the meal with dessert - panacotta with almonds, cannoli with pistachio cream, and an espresso. Overall, a great dining experience.

The restaurant is quite small with an open kitchen. Food was yummy and served very quickly. Reminded us of being in Italy, though the portions were smaller. Red wine recommended by wait staff was delicious.

My fourth visit here, this time with family to try the spring menu. We had the pear and honey special with focaccia, lamb shoulder pappardelle and the cacio e pepe. Everything was so yum, but the pappardelle was the standout for me. The staff were, as always, warm and helpful with great recommendations from the specials and wine menu. Always a great experience, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on the next seasonal menu!

Had a great evening at Pici last Saturday the food, service, and atmosphere were all truly impressive. The fettuccine anchovy was a standout: rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. A dish that truly lingers in the memory. I also loved the selection of organic wines, with excellent pairing suggestions from the team. Sitting at the bar gave us a front-row seat to the kitchen in action — efficient, passionate, and inspiring. Overall, a delightful experience. I’d definitely return great vibes, delicious food, and a team that clearly cares.

Nestled in the stunning St Kevins Arcade building. Beautiful venue and stunning wines as well. The porchetta was amazing first time i have tried this and i now need to go make it at home. Cacio e pepe has been on my wish list for years stoked to have finally tried it.

I have to be honest my expectations are way to high for this place. Ive been wanting to try Pici for the longest time, tonight we picked this place to celebrate my brother’s birthday. The fettuccine with anchovy is way too salty for our liking I know anchovies are already salty but it’s excessive. The cacio e pepe was okay meh, not something that I would remember and rave about.

We decided to go to Pici for Matariki night, and it was an amazing experience. We had the set menu every single course was delicious, and the service was impeccable, we were lucky enough to get the table upstairs, and we loved it! Highly raccomanded!

You arrive in heaven, meet God, kiss your gramma, and then they hand you this focaccia. The first bite of the crust brought tears to my eyes—divine. Everything was delicious. Plates to share (you don’t want to) and great timing from course to course. Some unique local wines are available and the semifredda was to die for. We celebrated our anniversary and would gladly do so again! Reservation may be helpful, we showed up at 545 and there was only one table available for walk up.

They made a delicious pasta out of simple ingredients, which was impressive. The Prosciutto Crudo pizza was generously topped and really tasty too. The calamari could’ve been a bit crispier, but dipping it in the tangy mayo balanced out the richness and made it quite enjoyable

We visited Non Solo Pizza for my partner's birthday. The food was alright, but the service truly stood out! The person who served us was incredibly lovely and welcoming and really made our evening special. Big thanks to our waiter for the wonderful hospitality

Food was delightful. Every single dish was delicious. I took my best friend out for her special birthday dinner and she absolutely loved. I had the porchetta, it’s was super crispy and sauce was beautiful, but the beef carpaccio and the carrots was just amazing, the highlight of the night. Service was good as always, all staff super friendly and helpful.

Absolutely delicious food and decent service. The food couldn’t have been better absolutely chefs kiss as always! Service was good though was a bit disappointed that when the waitress poured our water she spilt quite a bit over the table and said she’d be back to clean it up but never did so we ended up using a serviette. Atmosphere was nice. Overall a really good experience. Definitely recommend if you want good food! Just bear in mind that it is pricey

From the moment I walked in with a massive cake and he asked if he could take it and put it in the fridge for me, to the absolute banter in helping us decide what to eat and drink to even grabbing the cake and putting candles in it then singing along with my friends, his service absolutely made my birthday elite. Came here with a friend recently for dinner. The food was nice and well presented if a bit small in price. The servers were nice but the bartender was rather indifferent and dismissive to me when we first entered and inquired about dining options. The price of the food here is also quite high but for a fine dining experience its nice. Good for a one time try or if you enjoy fancy food but I won't be returning anytime soon.

This place is always buzzing with people, even late at night. I’d heard a rumour a while ago that it might be closing down &...I hope that’s not true! The staff are all super friendly and make you feel like an old friend, which makes the whole experience really enjoyable. I ordered a drink and a pizza during Happy Hour. The Margherita pizza had that beautiful wood-fired look and a lovely thick, bready base. It was so authentic that I couldn’t believe it was only $15. I also tried Coco’s Sangria...fruity, but with a nice depth and a hint of bitterness that made it stand out. It’s $14 a glass and definitely worth trying!

We hired out the courtyard area for a birthday dinner and had an amazing time. The service was phenomenal, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were catered for and always checked up on us despite it being a very busy night. The food and drinks were also delicious and everything came out just at the right time. We were very impressed by the quality of service and would definitely recommend this place. The space was also very nice and they decorated and set up the tables beautifully. Loved the feature of being able to order for yourself through your phone, so our guests were able to order any time and we never had to leave our area. Will absolutely come back!

Love the food and atmosphere. The wait staff were charismatic and friendly. We got margaritas, burrata, calamari, crudo, risotto, cotetta and mac and cheese. I need their Mac and cheese injected in my veins!! Will be coming back again :) x

It is our first time to dine in here, We love each and every dish. Focaccia bread was warm and perfect for starter. Mac and cheese truffle pasta was must order if you like cheesy and truffle. Market fish cooked nicely and salsa make good balance. Last one our cannoli we enjoyed very much as a chocolate lover pistachio gelato was good too. Very friendly staff and service. Worth what u pay and recommended.

Andiamo was an absolute delight! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed dat out. The food hits all the right notes — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Great service topped it all off. If you’re after a tasty meal without breaking the bank, grabbing a First Table here is a no-brainer!

Lovely restaurant. Family friendly with the best children's menu that I have come across including gluten free options available. The menu has sharing plates and individual meals. They are all delicious and varied. The fire on a cold night is a real bonus. Definitely a great place for a special night out.

Dined at Andiamo for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food, and interior of the restaurant. The menu has great variety and the food was delicious with generous portion sizes. We may have caught the wait staff on an off day, but we feel that there could be some improvements with staff avoiding eye contact and huddling together chatting by the bar. However, this didn't hugely impact the enjoyment of the dining at Andiamo.

We went there for lunch. And in hindsight didn't order well. We ordered from the sharing menu, thinking that these were dishes to share, the were the size of side plates. Cesar salad which was average, squid which was tender, but plain. Cod and crab meat balls which we didn't like at all. We also had some oysters and fries, sadly no wow factor for anything. What was delicious was the afigato and Tiramisu to finish. Service was good and friendly, maybe some guidance with the menu would have helped

Very sadly did not enjoy this one though I had high hopes. The staff weren't very attentive we had to wave them down a few times to place an order. We had the piadina and the pane frito. The sauce for the piadina was just.. not good. It tasted very strange and the flavours just weren't good together. Couldn't have more than a bite. The pane frito was drowning in too much cream - though thankfully the flavours were palatable (unlike the piadina). Given the price and food, it's unlikely I would return.

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit an Italian restaurant with my friends, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. As for the food, it was flavorful and satisfying. While I wouldn't rank this as the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to, it definitely deserves a spot among the top ones. I didn’t explore the entire menu, but the dishes I tried left a good impression. The risotto, in particular, was delightful, prepared with fresh clams that added a burst of flavor. It seemed like my friends enjoyed their meals as well, which added to the positive experience. I am keen to return with my family to sample more items from the menu and further explore what the restaurant has to offer. Until then, I would rate this place 4 out of 5 stars. I look forward to revisiting my review after my next visit and possibly discovering more reasons to love this restaurant.

Gusto have been here for ages and good to see that it is still popular. The pasta we had were very good and well presented. We had the Ragu and the Gustose, both were not very saucy and well cooked. We also had the Tre Signori pizza and that was well done as well, perfect base.

This Italian restaurant was outstanding! I visited with my partner and her friends, as they wanted to enjoy an Italian meal on a Sunday evening. We ordered two pasta dishes and two medium-sized pizzas. For pasta, we chose their signature Fettuccine and Risotto. Both were excellent, but the Risotto stood out the most. It was perfectly seasone, not too salty, with a slightly overcooked texture that enhanced the seafood flavour, creating a delightful experience with every bite. The Fettuccine, a classic Italian dish, was also delicious and well-prepared. The two pizzas were equally impressive. While I can’t recall their exact names, as shown in the pictures, they were perfectly cheesy, wood-fired to perfection, and absolutely flavourful. We had a fantastic time here, and the service was exceptional. The waitstaff were friendly and kind, adding to the overall great experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine!

My partner and I visited Gusto Italiano last weekend for our date night and were blown away. The food was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was lovely & intimate. We both left very happy and will be returning asap! :)

We had a birthday dinner there on Sunday evening. We booked before. The food was very delicious, and it served quickly and perfectly with a nice red wine. We had tiramisu and profiteroles for dessert. Yummy food, good selections, a lot of banter made our night perfect.

Walking past the place reminded me of the unacceptable service and encounter I had at this Italian Restaurant 2 years ago. I walked in with a booking for dinner, sat down at the table, waited and noticed there’s no menu, which I did not mind. I went up to the front desk and asked for a menu kindly, the staff said “WE ARE NOT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT(pause…)WE WILL BRING THE MENU TO YOU” You could have said “please wait, we will bring the menu to you” The rude behaviour ruined my appetite, it is very unprofessional, very sad to see it happen in nz. There cannot be any excuse for that, I’m a sane adult, I can tell when someone has good intentions or not. I hope the service has improved now. The food was okay.

I visited this place with my little sister and my boyfriend on Tuesday night. It was a last minute thing and we made a booking for 9 pm because we wanted to give the restaurant an option to cancel our booking if their kitchen was due to close. However, our booking was accepted and when we entered the restaurant, a female staff gave us the coldest stare. She looked at us with a very angry face, so angry that we felt very unwelcomed and as if we had done something wrong. She was frowning so much I almost walked back out. When my boyfriend told her about the reservation, she just said "what?" back to him. The manager or the owner, or whoever it was then appeared and told us we can take a seat. From then, we could see the female staff and the manager discussing something but obviously very poor customer service to discuss about the customers in a unhappy manner right where they can see you? At this point I wanted to leave, but we had starved so long so we really needed to eat. We then ordered a few things. The service attitude was very poor and rude, and even the food was very disappointing. It LOOKED really good. The calamari was weird - it was like the calamari had just been dipped in breadcrumbs and served like that without frying or anything. Just weird. The pasta was undercooked. UNDERCOOKED. The pizza was soggy. It was straight up soggy. I could not believe this was one of the best rated restaurants. If you did not want people coming in at 9pm, you can just tell them kitchen's closed or something. Worst experience. Horrible night. Never going back, never recommending to any of my friends.

Came here looking for a quick dinner alone and I had such a pleasant experience. A hidden, small, cosy, authentic, home-style restaurant in glittering streets. You can see how the pizzas are made entirely by hand, from the dough down to the very last crust. I had the cream mushroom spaghetti, and the generous amount of cream and mushrooms left me feeling full. Run by two lovely ladies, you will feel like you are visiting an Italian home!

Wonderful location, right on the water in the viaduct. The staff were really friendly and attentive, even providing a colouring pack for our daughter. Our friend loved her salad. We ordered the mushroom pizza which unfortunately was quite bland, better with hot sauce.

We stopped in here for lunch and I had what was hands down the best pasta I've ever eaten! We had a lovely time here, we were seated quickly and the service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing, which was nice. The food was served in good time and was beautifully presented and delicious. I'd recommend the goat's cheese ravioli to anybody!

We had the Linguine Vongole and the clam was delicious, big and fat. Prawn Mafaldine was also very nicely done. Spicy Salami pizza is very nicely done and very flavourful. The place is beautiful, both the view and the aesthetics, and the bathroom is charming. As for the food, I thought it was good, but we had a problem with a side dish that didn't arrive with the main course. Anyway, the staff apologized, and we decided to cancel the side dish.

The food was amazing - the salami pizza was delicious, the prawn pasta was juicy with a rich, thick sauce, and the pork cutlet was perfectly crispy and paired beautifully with the apple & pear mostarda. However, the service was a bit of a letdown. Our waiter seemed quite grumpy throughout. When he came to take our drink order, we mentioned we’d like to order drinks a little later, but he looked annoyed and walked off quickly. He didn’t seem happy when we asked for a takeaway container or when we said we’d like to share one dessert. We were also celebrating a birthday, and although we selected “birthday” as the special occasion in our booking, there was no acknowledgment at all - which was disappointing, especially since we saw several other tables celebrating with a mini cake and candle. Overall, amazing food but sadly let down by the service.

We had such an amazing dining experience here! The steak (especially the mash with the rich sauce) was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The wine list was impressive and paired beautifully with our meal. On top of that, the service was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Everything was just perfect. The food was average at best. Presentation was gorgeous but lacked flavour and was extremely salty, almost to the point of unpalatable for both mains (Pesce and short rib risotto). The potato skins which could have done with abit of salt, ironically tasted like it had none. Highlight was the raviolo which I do admit was very special, and the fig pudding was also delicious.

Booked the restaurant online for a family of 3 (including 1 school kid) stated it is a birthday celebration. Great vibe and good food. Tuna Crudo was great! However, Service could be better. I would have tipped the service if they managed to keep filling up our glass of water and provide a decorative dessert for a birthday celebration.

An experience, not just a meal. We had the pasta made on the cheese wheel right in front of us at the chefs table! Along with the beef cheeks and mash this was the best food ive ever had. Everything had so much flavour - even right down to the mocktails. The food came out so fast with the best service ive had. My Wife and I went on Wednesday night for dinner for our wedding anniversary from the moment we walked in the door the service was gold, and all staff are amazing the foods incredible cocktails and wine very good. I can't wait to go back, the whole experience was incredible

I did enjoy my gluten free and dairy free pizza here, also it gave me a homemade vibe which could be from the facts that they are not chain restaurants (are they? Lol). This was our first time ordering from Proper Pizza Company in Auckland, and we were blown away. After placing our online order (a Proper Pizza and a half-and-half for the kids), the pizza maker himself called to confirm and offered to cook our pizzas fresh upon our arrival. True to his word, our delicious, high-quality pizzas with a perfect base were ready just five minutes after we arrived. We chose Proper Pizza after researching other Auckland CBD options based on their Google reviews, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The service was exceptional, and the pizzas were top-notch. Highly recommend!

A holiday well spent at The Grand by Skycity! The staff were very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Gurpreet at Reception greeted us with a warm smile and helped us find a room that suited our family’s needs. It would have been even better with a Sky Tower view from our window, but the room was still comfortable. Breakfast at The Terrace was excellent, with a wide range of options. The pool, spa, sauna, and gym were also great. Overall, a wonderful staycation and highly recommended!

What a fabulous place !! So clean. Bed was super comfy. Service was excellent. Dinner was amazing, Butter chicken and a hamburger … totally rate those ! So much to do just within this building. Totally recommend.

We had an amazing weekend with friends/children staying at The Grand. The staff were friendly and welcoming and would say hello when we passed by, The room was a great size and loved the view really glad we did go for the harbour view don’t think we even shut the curtains the view was amazing to see both by day and night! The Grand made our son feel so special in celebrating his 5th birthday we really appreciated that. The pool/sauna/spa was brilliant for adults and kids alike. Recommend the valet parking just having that piece of mind your car is secure and it’s there for you at the front when need makes coming and going a breeze…Would definitely book again.

Very nice hotel with very attentive staff. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a large variety of choices. The hotel is in the center of lots of restaurants, shops and things to do, all in walking distance. The experiences and access to the casino area were also nice bonuses.

Having previously stayed at the SkyCity, we chose to stay at the slightly more upscale Grand sister property. It comes with all the same perks as the location, access to casino, and as expected - it's nicer, chic, and very comfortable. Loved our stay

We spent 3 days 2 nights here recently. Valet parking was seamless and the lovely staff helped with our bags. Check-in flowed smoothly and we were ready to check in to our room within 5 mins. Pressure from the shower head was terrible - have better water pressure at home. Toilet was awkwardly positioned in a corner between the shower and a wall. The toilet roll holder was down near my knees (I am a big tall man). The bath tub was also awkwardly positioned. The ascetic’s of the bathroom was terrible who ever designed the room that way did a real bad job. The air con was blowing cold the 2 nights we stayed there despite attempts to turn the temperature up, it would not go higher than 19 degrees. The beds weren’t as comfortable as we expected - found them quite creeky sounding as well. The lighting in the room terrible - we found better lighting with the curtains open and the natural light coming through. TV reception was poor and kept cutting out mid show. We were unable to work the chrome cast either for some reason. We had breakfast at The Terrace. There wasn’t anything too fancy to write home about. Food was ok. Service however I might add was amazing. Great work by the staff to constantly top up the food there given it was a busy morning with lots of guest. The pool/spa was good and we enjoyed the warm water. Lots of spare towels for use. Check out was easy. A simple call to reception and someone was up quickly to help with our bags. Overall, wasnt the best stay. Our hotel room was a big let down but have to compliment the lovely staff for their hard work.

Proportion is really small, had to order a steak after the meal as we were both still hungry BUT THE COCKTAILS ARE THE BEST ONES I HAVE EVER HAD. Even after all this time I’m still trying to find one as good as this.

This place looks fancy and the service is OK. But the food is not taste as good as it looks. It does have many ingredients inside this pasta but almost no flavor at all. And it is not that pleasant when you find fish scales in your food. I personally do not think this worth the price you will pay.

I had very high hopes and had read some great things about SPQR. First and foremost the front of house staff are excellent. Super attentive and very good It's not a big place, relatively intimate and not over bearing with loud music or noise. It's a very funky Italian vibe. Food. Focaccia bread. Wow. Really fresh, pesto and condiments. Was a really great start. Fettuccine with Chicken. You would need to call it artisan or provincial. It was OK-ish. The pasta was too close to Al dente as it was a tad rubbery. It wasn't creamy but more.. Rustic. It was surprising. Risotto was OK, again not great. Fish cooked well. The potatoes were however great. I guess if you were in a country village in Italy it would be a 2 of 5 meh rating. It wasn't overly flavoursome or inspiring. Had pretty high hopes but really it was I guess a fair 2/5 but not more. I was surprised as I thought it was one of the really good Italian restaurants.

The spaghetti and rib-eye steak are really delicious. Taste so good and the service is also very nice. Tiramisu is amazing that we order an additional one after tasting. Very recommend to have a dinner and enjoy the atmosphere here, drink with friends. Won't be disappointed 👍

Another Italian restaurant in Auckland that you must try. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent, with waiters and waitresses regularly replenishing our waters and cocktails without having to ask. The portions were substantial, and the ingredients were of great quality and nicely presented. Highly recommended!

We were always fans of Vivace in Fort Street and the new restaurant in the iconic DeBretts Hotel is sure to be another future Auckland restaurant icon. Great hospitality, great food. Highly recommended.

Went here for a nice dinner and was not disappointed. Food were of satisfying portions. The fried squid and fried mushrooms entrees are great. Recommend the gnocchi for pasta. Pizza had the perfect base. My choice of dessert was the dark choc, peanut tart which was rich and delicious. Service staff were great, despite it being a busy night. Overall, highly recommended.

The staff at Vivace are amazing and there is a whole vegan menu which is great. The attention to detail from the staff was incredible. My dining partner ordered me a drink without me knowing it had Prosecco and the waiter came back before making it to advise me the Prosecco wasn’t vegan. I was extremely appreciative. The vegan risotto was quite nice, not spectacular but it was good. The cocktails and the staff were the best part about this place

Service was good, with the exception of a difficulty splitting a pizza into a number divisible by 3 for 3 people and processing the splitting of the bill for the pizza. Food was well-made, but tasted more like fusion food rather than authentic Italian food. Environment was good. Will be open to coming back again

I’m search of dessert, I discovered the relocated Vivace in Fort Street. Of course, I was compelled to visit. The staff remained as excellent as I recalled from their High Street days. Interior wise, I loved the rustic charm of the wine and champagne laden wall crates meeting floor with ceiling and showcasing how serious this restaurant is with pleasing wine lovers. My dessert of choice was the black Doris plum and pecan pudding nestled in vanilla custard and jus served with thickened cream. I also ordered a soy latte before long bring beckoned the wine list. The intention to just dabble by having a glass of red evolved into enjoying gorgeous glasses of Lealtanza Reserve Tempranillo, Fiorini Cianti Superiore, Papa Luna GSM and Domaine de Charbonierre Grenache Syrah. This led to trying small dishes of fig mozzarella and honeycomb then smoked kahawai dip with sourdough bread to wash down the goodness. Excellent service, ambience, food and wine was experience so much so that I’ll be back again very soon!

Lunch menu is exactly the same as dinner menu with slightly higher pricing. I tried different pastas, a few starters and pizzas here at different times as I live nearby. It is affordable place with nice atmosphere but the food could be better. A small $24 pizza is very average in taste... All pastas are just ok. Last time i tried tiramisu which was good but very strong in alcohol.

We ordered 2 prosciutto pizzas, one with white base and one with tomato sauce, and fries. Everything was pretty good and probably they would have tasted even better eating them at the restaurant instead of take away.

Nice atmosphere. Not bad for lunch. Quite slow, so don't come here if you're in a hurry. Was a little disappointed with the grated cheese on top of dishes - was expecting a more traditional parmesan.

Had the Eye Fillet Al Pepe, steak was cooked to perfection, absolutely melted in your mouth, my partner had the carbonara with chicken and that was mouthwatering. Prices for the quality of food were reasonable and the service was excellent, large selection of nice wines, only bad point was the poor selection of beers, other than that the experience was overall 5 star!

I came across this place online and it definitely did not disappoint! Some of the best pizza I've had. This place is hidden inside an apartment block but you'll find it just by the smell of pizza alone. Quattro di formaggi and Carbonara Pizza are a must try! Owners are awesome as well! Great team there and very accomodating. I'll definitely be back here again.

Delicious Neapolitan pizza and tiramisu. As good as what you will get in Italy. The wine collection was really good too. We had three pizzas between the two of us, the third was definitely us overeating! Yes, it was that good. We had one with mushrooms and truffle oil, one diavola and another salami pizza. This is probably one of the best pizza's I've had in Auckland. Really tasty with the margarita that I got. Base was pretty good and the dough was pretty fluffy a little floppy towards the center as well. Really quick service as well we got our pizza's within like 6-8mins ahaha. A lil pricey at $22 but the pizza is really big! I think as far as I know for this type of pizza its actually pretty well priced. Super nice interior very cozy and the staff are really friendly. Overall great place a bit small but the lighting makes it feel good :D. Thank you!

I love their authentic Neapolitan pizza and their huge menu. I ordered the 'Zola' pizza which had a strong flavor from the gorgonzola and the rocket. I have been several times and am looking forward to going again. I highly recommend this place but definitely book.

The pizza here is just that good. No. 25 is especially special. The ingredients are flavorful and fresh, the cheese pull is great and the service was very good. The restaurant might look humble on the outside, but the food wows you.

We got Uber eats from here.The order presented poor value for money. The calamari portion consisted of 8 pieces for $26. The lasagna, while having a satisfactory flavor, contained a minimal amount of mince meat. Contact with the restaurant regarding these issues was not productive.

Been coming here for years and no longer live in Auckland so was sceptical as owners changed…..if anything it’s gotten better. The pizza is so good because it’s LOADED with toppings which I personally love…..it’s not pretending to be some trendy 30 second cooked basically dough Naples style pizza 🍕 There is as much topping as base, they do not skimp on the toppings. Plus pasta always solid. It’s a real locals place and new owners have done great job and I’ll continue to come every visit to Auckland !! 9.77 out of 10

I visited this fancy Italian restaurant in Epsom with my close friends for dinner after one of them recommended it, as I wanted to have pizza near the CBD. The restaurant was easy to find. I ordered a medium-sized special combination pizza, which perfectly matched my appetite. The portions and flavour were both satisfying. My friends ordered lasagna, beef steak, and chicken steak, and they all loved their meals. Although the portions were a bit small for them since they have big appetites, the overall experience was great. The staff was friendly, making our dinner even more welcoming. The restaurant had delightful warm lighting and a big indoor pizza oven that added to the cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy Italian food with family and friends.

We had the garlic bread, calamari, lasagna and risotto as entree size and it was enough for two adults. All the dishes were delicious and the staff were nice and very accommodating with us having a stroller. It is a small restaurant and very noisy so if you’re not a fan of loud noise, it could be hard to enjoy the food.

Had a fabulous dinner for 3 at La Spiaggia on Friday evening. Great setting, great vibe and amazing food. Few smaller things that could be done better but overall a delightful experience. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely be back...still plenty of items on the menu to work through :)

The best lasagna I have ever had! Perfect amount of salt which is something that I’m never satisfied with at other places. Come to this place ready to feast because portions are huge! So amazing! Well done La Spiaggia family.

Such a very cool location. There was Seven of us so we chose the set menu. Food was fabulous especially the duck and artichokes. We all thought some greens would balanced the meal better. The only disappointment was the dessert. The rice pudding was bland and not very interesting. Would go again, but order differently.

Ada exceeded expectations on customer service and the overall experience. Food was very good and the cocktail was delicious, highly recommend the aged beef as it was so tender and juicy, chocolate moose was divine and not to mention the establishment itself looks so stunning, the atmosphere here is beautiful. Overall the most impressive part of Ada for me was the staff. The customer service was exceptional, they were all so welcoming, attentive, patient and friendly. Overall 10/10

Ada restaurant, while a little outside of "downtown", is a must if you're visiting Auckland. The food was carefully prepared and was delicious, with a very diversified menu thought for everyone. The freshness of the ingredients is one of the highlight. I would recommend having someone with you to share the plates as you'll want to taste as many items in the menu as you can. Good wine menu and a good choice of non-alcoholic beverages. The lemonade was superbe! Additionally, the decor is really spectacular. Great spot for a few Instagram shots.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was incredible. The decor alone was stunning and truly set a memorable tone. We found the drinks perfect and the main food to be fabulous. Beyond the quality of the offerings, the service was exceptional; everyone was friendly and highly attentive. The atmosphere was delightful and very pleasant. Our single disappointment was the dessert; the rice pudding didn't quite live up to the rest of the meal. Despite that small note, we will definitely be returning!

I enjoy fine dining, but cannot say I am a "foodie" with a fully calibrated palate. That said, I was taken back by how masterful each dish was - aesthetically pleasing, full of flavor, and unique. This was an experience, one of the best meals I've had in all of my travels. I did not have a reservation, dined solo, and had a seat at the bar with no wait. Despite the bar setting, the atmosphere felt private and the service was exemplary. I highly recommend the Crudo. I followed the servers suggestion here, and was thankful I did so.

We really wanted to enjoy Ada because we had heard so many good things but unfortunately can’t recommend this. The food was not worth the price. For instance the lamb didn’t have much flavour, was undercooked and hard to chew. + our raw beef tartare had a hair in it. A friend ended up eating it and it was quite unpleasant. Our reservation was also hidden at the very back of the restaurant with no light so we couldn’t read the menu or see what we were eating. Overall: - food wasn’t amazing - brusque service - poor atmosphere - hair in our raw beef dish *We were given a replacement ‘on the house’, but combined with the other things it definitely just made our experience worse.

Our first time dining here and won’t be our last! It was a wonderful experience, from start to finish! The gorgeous welcoming staff, the delectable dishes, the ambience, comfortable seats, the company we kept, everything was perfect!

We have been to Soul bar on many occasions and really enjoyed it in the past, how ever that last few times we have been very disappointed and specially the last visit was for my partners birthday. We weren't there for the ladies lunch we were paying full price and spending alot of money. The service was so bad one of the waitresses plonked our food infront of us with no words or even a smile and walked off. The food was tasteless and nothing to rav about. We ordered the prawn pasta and it came out Looking and tasting over cooked with a prawn head on top of it with about 3 little bits of prawn through it, the seafood chow was made with chicken stock and not very nice, the fish dish was average along with the 2 entrée we had. We won't be back as we can cook better at home.

I love Soul Bar, and this time it was a tuesday lunch with the girls. The food is consistently delicious and full of flavor. This time we enjoyed: Scampi cocktail, jalapeño & lime, Ricotta filled tortelli, sunday sauce, calabrian chilli Tuna tartare, calabrian chilli, oyster mayo, potato galette West coast whitebait fritters, lemon butter. We will be back!

We felt like having a special date night last week, I had been to Soul before just for drinks but had heard the food was exceptional. Despite being a Tuesday night, Soul Bar & Bistro was lively, busy and definitely the place for a fancy date night, work drinks, and family/friends group dinners. The staff are lovely and helpful and food was amazing. I had to try the famous Mac n Cheese - was unlike anything else I've had, did not dissapoint! Drinks were really good as well. All round the spot if you have anyone you'd like to take to a nice dinner on the waterfront. Still raving about it- we will be back 💫

The food and drink at Soul Bar is exceptional. We ordered a variety of starters, which were all unique and delicious. My favourite starter was the tuna with wasabi mayo. For my main, I ordered the lamb rack. The lamb was tender and flavourful. Kumara was also served with the lamb, providing a soft and crunchy texture to the meal. Additionally, my cocktail, the Soul Punch, was delicious. The service is also great. The wait staff were kind and enthusiastic.

We came before so this was a repeat visit. Did not disappoint! Soul has amazing cocktails and delicious food. Top favourites were the tiger prawns starter, scampi alla chittara and market fish.

Amazing place to have a good meal with great desserts while in town. This place tends to be booked out so better to book in advance rather than just turning up. We had the House Baked Bread, Slow Roasted Oyster Cut Lumina Lamb Shoulder and Tiger Prawn. For those of you who only eat halal meat they serve it here. Please ask the staff. In desserts we had Affogato, Vanilla Pannacotta and a couple of other desserts and they were absolutely amazing. You could actually just come to the restaurant to enjoy the amazing desserts!

Great dinner at Botswana Butchery. 2 Steaks cooked to perfection, 1 was too rare for medium but the restaurant employees got it sorted super quickly and did not hide but came forward until we were happy. Great example of excellent customer service. Restaurant is very well staffed and the decor and ambience was excellent! Highly recommended.

Our party of 9 had the set menu here and wow, very impressed. Quality and friendly service from our waiter Nadia and all other servers was prompt and knowledgeable, especially with wines. To finish we had the cheese platter which was a nice finish.

Saw this restaurant on the ground floor of Ferry Building and thought it’d good to try it. At the end of the dinner we felt it was a great choice. From the entree to the mains it was a great feast all the way. We had the French onion soup (which was almost like a stew) mushroom soup (which was authentically mushroom soup not canned type) and the wagyu beef tartare (which was SO different from what I had before. It was served on a bone with a potato fritter. Yum! Then the lamb platter came and we had a feast of tender and delicious lamb ribs, rump and loin! 😋😋😋 If I have a say to return I’d do so when we leave Auckland. 😆

Best steak I've had in Auckland so far, the food was incredible and hands down the best mac and cheese i've had in my life. My partner loves his steak and was very impressed. Definitely will be back again. Service was good, drinks and atmosphere were great too ✨️

I had a nice birthday lunch with my family. The food was really good, but they only had regular milk for coffee, no almond or oat milk. Otherwise, everything was great 👍🏻 We even went there twice in two days.

Decided to have dinner here on New Years Eve. Called in at 6.30 and got a table immediately. We had a choice of still or sparkling water already on our table when we were seated which was nice. We ordered our food but weren’t sure on the best wine to have so left that to the waiter to recommend. We only waited 20 mins for our main to come out and the wine the waiter chose for the meal was superb. We had 3 courses, a bottle of wine and two cocktails and the bill was $223 for the two of us. The seating was very comfortable looking out across the marina. All in all a very nice evening prior to NY celebrations. Georgio, our waiter was exceptional. Thanks for the fab dinner and atmosphere for the last evening of 2024 Portofino!

Had a fantastic meal at Portofino! The service was excellent — warm and attentive. Enjoyed a lovely glass of wine and an outstanding pasta dish. The highlight was definitely the dessert — the cheesecake was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for a quality Italian dining experience!

was keen to try out this restaurant. The location is great but food was not as good as expected. Oysters were not cold and one had dried right off indicating it had been sitting round for a bit. Also one was v v small. mussels were tasty but some were also dry. dessert was a cheesecake which was tasty but it was very firm. Waitress was really lovely. mates fish was a little overcooked as well and her pate was not very tasty.

We came here for restaurant month and were blown away by the size of the mains. The rich steak and marrow in particular was well-cooked, flavourful and intimidating to finish! Amazing value for $55 and the harbourside setting gave off great vibes. Highly recommended!

The service at fish was absolutely appalling, it is outrageous that we had to wait more than 5 minutes for someone to attend to us while we stood at the entrance. We had mussels and crab cakes as an entree, the mussels were quite tough, on the other hand the crab cakes were delicious. For our mains we ordered the steak, fish and the duck. The fish was average but extremely light. The duck lacked flavour but was chewable. Thankfully the steak was extraordinary. This was not what we expected from fish as we have previously dined at fish. Unlike this lunch we enjoyed our past experience heavily.

We made the last minute decision to have dinner here on our final night in Auckland. Making a same day reservation online was quick and easy and took no more than 2 minutes. We didn’t read the description properly so walked back and forth for about 5 minutes looking for the restaurant before being assisted by a Hilton staff member. We were seen and seated immediately followed with water and menus. Drinks came out almost immediately after ordered followed by our starter of octopus which was far better than expected. After a short wait we received both meals. We ordered the blue cod and ribeye steak. Both were absolutely delicious and the perfect portion. Ended with the cream brûlée which was so good. Not to mention the beautiful view of the harbour we got to enjoy while dining. The service we received from both waiters was nothing but professional and exceptional from start to finish. Would definitely recommend dining here, although it is pricey it is definitely worth it!

It was my firsts time trying the Fish restaurant. The view was amazing, they currently have a spring brunch every Sunday, which you can pick your mains and you get dessert and other starters in a buffet style. The service was great as well as the environment. It is not very crowded which I love. In terms of the food, the quality of the food were great. The crab cake egg benedict was the highlight for sure. Cost: $68 per person

Went here for a birthday party. The restaurant space at the Hilton is nice with good views onto the harbour, the seafood was good, had nice oysters but the red meats were not soo good. The lamb and beef steaks arrived cold like they have been sitting there for ages with no heat inside the meat. The flavours were average.

Had such a lovely dinner at Gusto. Service was great, all waiters very accommodating. We had the pork fat potatos, gnocchi and beef cheeks. The warm chocolate pudding is well worth the wait!

We stayed at the Sky City Grand and had the buffet breakfast here at the Gusto on 3 occasions. Great selection from egg, bacon, sausage hot breakfast to continental breakfast, pastries, fruits, self serving tea and coffee. Try the omelette which the chef will make to your order. Buffet breakfast is $40 and you can also get barista coffee for an extra cost. Open for breakfast at 7 am daily, great staff and nice and easy location while staying at the Sky City Grand.

If you are looking for delicious pasta - this is the place. Located on the ground floor of Skycity hotel, I first thought that it would be like a bar at the reception, but when you have been sites at the table, you completely forget that there is a busy hotel just behind the bar wall. The atmosphere is superb, it’s super quite, warm and comfortable, no loud parties or anything, you can comfortable speak with you lived one at the other end of the table. Wine list is quite big, and food menu is enormous. We decided to try the pasta, as they hand made it themselves as soon as you have made the order. It was superb, I had the one with the duck and my wife had the risotto - and it was the beat pasta a we’ve had in Auckland. We are definitely coming back for more.

We had dinner on valentine's day. We were very disappointed about the portions and the quality of the food. It wasn't worthy for 290. We didn't expect everything was for sharing. I was expecting more fancy,better dishes on a special occasion like valentine's day, and the table was sticky. I'm not sure if i want to go back there again.

Decided to try this restaurant for home made pasta dishes. Tried 2 different pastas: one with pumpkin and another one with spicy pork sausage (induja). You can definitely tell that pasta was made in the house. It was very good. We liked it. We also tried chocolate pudding for dessert. However, it was more like a chocolate lava cake with all the gooeyness. Staff was very accommodating and welcoming.

We really enjoyed the dinner here, especially the pasta. Conveniently located in the Aerospace City. The food is medium in size but delicious! The staff work attentively and the environment is comfortable. It is recommended to book during peak hours and weekends.

Beautiful atmosphere. Nice staffs. Great dishes. Baked eggplants parmigiana was great! It is the best dish for us. Mushroom ricotta gnocci is nice too. Definitely will go back again.

The ambience of the place is amazing and takes you to a place where you could just sit back and relax. The food was on point. Mezze for Two was fresh and bread soft and hot. Dips were also amazing. Chicken with rice and 3 other sides were also succulent. We also ordered the non alcoholic sodas which were a 7/10. They could have had a bit more flavour in them but they did compliment the food. Portion sizes are a little disappointing in comparison to the price one pays. Staff though were all really good and very welcoming, and interacted with us to make sure we were comfortable with everything.

I came here with a friend during Ramadan. The staff were very accommodating and wanted to serve our food in time for Iftar. They gave us the option of free lentil soup or dates for the month of Ramadan which was very lovely. The hummus here is divine and a must order. I loved their sabich the eggplant with chickpeas and hummus, chefs kiss! The skewers are super fresh they are my go to! Highly recommend😍

A large, spacious, and bright restaurant with an amazing and lovely atmosphere. We were looking for halal breakfast and found this place just two minutes' walk from our hotel. We ordered two types of eggs with falafel. The place is clean, and the staff are friendly and cheerful. I highly recommend it. I’m from Bahrain (a country from the Arabian Gulf).

Excellent restaurant in the heart of downtown Auckland. Amazing food - I had bharat spiced chicken, and halloumi, followed by their hot cross bun pudding. Mains come with various sides. The chef/owner is very proud of her restaurant, and rightly so. Highly recommended - it's worth buying their recipe book. Oh, and dependent on availability, the hot cross buns are incredible - they use the same recipe in the pudding.

A Cozy Experience at Ima Cuisine… Ima Cuisine is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm, cozy vibe and lovely lighting set the perfect mood for dinner. We started with the mezze platter…The pillowy, fresh pita paired beautifully with the creamy hummus, smoky baba ganoush, and smooth labneh. The pickled veggies added the perfect punch, and the falafel was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside—some of the best falafels I’ve had in a while. For mains, we shared the halloumi and chicken along with a variety of sides. I’m already planning my next visit—especially during the day so I can have their famous hot cross buns! If you're looking for comforting, authentic Middle Eastern flavours in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, Ima Cuisine is a must-visit. Highly recommend :)

What an absolute treasure this place is. This was my final night in Auckland before flying back to Sydney the next evening .My friend whom I was staying with, made a dinner reservation for 7:30pm on the Friday evening in early May 2025. But, when we got there they never had a booking for us. We were a bit upset but they were so lovely and suggested we might like to sit on an outside table and see if a table came up soon....we did have a fab heater above us and they gave us the warmest blankets for our legs! It is the start of winter in NZ at that time of the year. Well, about half an hour...ish later they said there was a table inside but the 3 of us were so busy chatting and drinking, wrapped in our toasty blankets that we were very happy to sit outside. It was actually quite noisy inside. I hadn't seen one of my friends for many years so we were chatting for ages before we actually ordered, but our waitress was super friendly and never hassled us. Now the pizzas....they were absolutely magic!! The crust was so delicious and even the sides of the pizza were so soft and chewy. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of our fab food, only a location shot. Definitely another visit is on the cards when I go back to Takapuna, fab service and fab food and ambience.

Our gratitude goes to the team for an exceptional dining experience we had at the restaurant tonight. We decided to try our luck without a reservation, and despite the restaurant being packed, the lovely server offered us a table outside under the heaters, which we gratefully accepted. They even offered blankets!!!! 👌 Despite how busy it was, our orders were taken within five minutes, and our food was served within 20 minutes. The pizza was superb, the chicken was tender, and the kids' portions were generous. We discovered Al Forno by chance, but we'll definitely be back the next chance we get—this time with a reservation!

Excellent experience! We took gnocchi which were 10/10, taste and texture. We also took a prosciutto pizza which was so good that we had to come back again. Staff was attentive and kind and answered all our requests.

This our first time trying this resto. We could feel the vibe when we were at the front door. Amazing food. Excellent service. Specially by one of the waiter who tried to convince us to take the outside table. They provide the blankets and heater has been there to keep us warm. We had the most beautiful dinner. We had pizza and seafood crepe for starters. Eye fillet for main and creme brulee and Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was on the spot, fast service and lovely Melanija serving us. True Italian experience with authentic food, wood fire . Big recommendation

I booked Al Forno for a friend's bday 🎂 it just so happened to be on an evening when the Takapuna Mid-Winter Light Festival was happening ✨️ so glad we booked as the restaurant seemed very popular. Gorgeous intimate setting with a lovely candlelit ambience. Wood-fired pizza 🍕 classic pasta dishes alongside favourite mains. The staff were all super warm and friendly and the smell from the kitchen was mouthwatering 🤤 There was a huge variety of beautiful Italian reds and whites 🍷 to accompany and compliment your meal. We chose the creamy chicken cabonara 🍝 and the filetto aglio 🥩 both dishes were amazing and cooked to perfection 👌 will have to come back to try the dessert as we were too full this time but they looked delicious 😋 thank you for a stunning experience, highly recommended for a romantic dinner for two or a special family meal out. We will definitely be back! ✨️

I attended a group pasta making class, which I can highly recommend. Our teacher/servers were Marissa and Rylee. The service was fast and efficient, the food excellent and the class so much fun. Excellent value and worth a visit.

Love the decor in this place.  Not too busy for Sunday lunch.  Service was A+ excellent.  Portion sizes were massive.  Brother enjoyed his Classic Seafood Marinara but the star for him was the Mango Sorbet.  Perfect end to his meal.  Daughters Loaded Pepperoni Cheeseburger meal was tasty with a fresh soft bun and lots of saucy goodness.  Tiramasu was massive, she couldn't finish it.  Scotch Fillet was cooked perfectly medium rare - super juicy and tender.  Warm Bourbon Peacan Pie was absolutely delicious. Thanks to First Table booking for making this even more affordable.

Had the pasta making class with the lovely chef Logan and Marissa was showing us how to make cocktails. Such a fun experience and you get bang for your buck with all the food, cocktails and your gift when you leave. Highly recommend it for date night or a group outing.

Me and my wife had Lunch Last Tuesday @ Good Brothers Westgate. It was Raining and we really enjoyed their Pizza and pasta. Specially the service. It was Amazing Service by “VAL”. He is very gentle person. Loved his service. Definitely Recommend.

I hadn't my breakfast and wasn't planning for lunch, so I thought why not to have brunch at Goode Brothers, I ordered mushroom burger, onion rings and pineapple juice for me. The taste were amazing, it satisfied my cravings for carbs and suger. I enjoyed it with lovely sunny and windy weather bcz I was seating outside. If you are vegetarian and don't know what to order, try this mashroom burger at Goode Brothers. It was lovely experience to have brunch there. Highly recommend. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Everything was 10/10.

first time going here and trust me IT WAS REALLY GOODDDD. we didnt make a reservation in advance, but thankfully because we were only 2 people so there was few small tables available. so if you are coming in a large group, definitely make a reservation first. the food was really incredible, the portion is quite big for me, so me and my friend ordered one spaghetti pollo and one salmon pizza and we shared together. we really loved it. the waiter even gave us free garlic bread even though we did not order that. overall the service and food are really great. i really recommend this place.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and booked a table just in case. It was fairly busy when we arrived at 12.30pm. We ordered 2x Pizzas, a Fettuccine and a Resotto to share between 3, Adults and 2x Kids. The food came out fast and the portions are a good size. Excellent value and authentic tasting

Always delicious as usual, whenever we come to nmk, we come and eat But today's carbonara was bit overcooked, the sauce had thickened, and the steak was a bit too rare. But, still, it was tasty as always

We dropped by for an impromptu lunch with our 2 year old boy and they made every effort to accommodate all of us, even giving the boy his own pizza dough and roller to keep him entertained. Epic service from a group of young staff!!

I am unsure about what is going on at this establishment. Staff must not be trained at all, management should jump on that quick if they want to give customers an enjoyable experience. Staff did not greet my table as we sat down, over half an hour came multiple times to my table to fill up glasses of water but was never asked if were ready to order anything to drink or eat. Eventually has to ask to order drinks, which came out all at different times over a span of 20 minutes. Unsure of the system they have going on in the bar as we would have 1 drink come to our table, then 2 drinks to a table next to us, then maybe 5 minutes later another drink come to us. Does not seem like a proper system is in place with order of drinks. After drinks there was again, no service received from staff asking if we were ready to order, which we probably only got our order through an hour after sitting down and again, a staff member had to be waved down to take our order. when the food come it was unfortunately completely average, pasta was overcooked causing it to be soft and mushy which isn’t enjoyable. Strange way of presentation with olives being served in a wine glass..? was quite taken a back by that, something i had never seen before! Every plate that wasn’t a pasta or a pizza also had a huge dumped pile of sad looking lettuce on it, quite odd. Again, there was no staff member to come over to the table to ask how the food was going, or ask if anything else was wanted. i felt really dissatisfied given the high reviews of this restaurant. Staff definitely needs training in customer service as they are absolutely clueless on how to make an enjoyable customer experience, i really hope management can adress that concern with their team immediately. there are far better italian restaurants in Auckland with better service and properly cooked pasta.

Absolutely amazing experience! We visited Archie’s in Newmarket for our parents’ wedding anniversary and had an incredible time. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the Prawn Linguine, Mediterranean Pizza, Fettuccine, Medium Rare Steak, Prosciutto e Funghi Pizza and Seafood Risotto—every dish was full of flavour and beautifully cooked. We loved the Mediterranean Pizza so much we ordered another one as a finale! Highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back. Thanks, Archie’s team!

Very nice cafe in the city. People there are super friendly and nice! Smoked salmon in the egg Benedict was my highlight, will definitely recommend! The miso brownie is also one of my favorites, very unique taste and delicious!

Fantastic cafe! Has plenty of vegan options and a wide variety of coffee/tea beverages, as well as food options that all seem incredible. I loved the stuffed portobello plate and the biscoff latte was very good. Everything was delicious! I love the atmosphere here - cozy and serene. Plenty of seating indoors and easy to carry out as well. The service was great - friendly, welcoming, and efficient. A great option for anytime of the day. The desserts also look fantastic!

The people working there were all very nice and welcoming. I ended up ordering the Big Breakfast, and the portion size lives up to its name (and price). The bread was toasted to perfection and well-buttered. The mocha was nice as well. The overall vibe was very wholesome in a Ghibli and cottagecore sort of way. Most of the tables were for 2 people, although there were a few for around 4 ppl I think? Definitely better suited for smaller groups. Would recommend for dates. Expect typical CBD pricing.

We came on a saturday morning around 11am and we get a table straight away. They do the orange iced americano but it’s orange syrop not really orange. Still good tho. We had to wait probably 20 to 30minutes for our food. It was crowded too and kind of noisy. But the food change your mind. I tried their famous eggs bene and the brioché bread is amazing it changes all the flavours. My partner had the harvest something (sorry forget the name but it’s like a big breakfast). He loved how the mushrooms where cooked and the potatoes. We will definitely comeback but probably earlier :)

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Highly recommend the Tokyo Eggs Benedict! Yum! And thoroughly enjoyed a glass of a ‘special’ red just opened by the lovely owner.

Very tasty breakfast. Impressive omelette (Japanese presentation) although a little heavy on maybe parmesan cheese. Great service. Good coffee (piccalo is a bit small, regular was too big… oh no, I’m Goldilocks). My only real criticism is that it’s quite packed (knocking knees at the table and shoulders with the next table, granted I’m 6’7”) but one less table would make all the difference. The

After an awe-inspiring visit to the Auckland Sky Tower, my family and I took a relaxed 30-minute stroll and came across Dante’s Pizzeria in Ponsonby Central – and what a brilliant find it was! I ordered the Spaghetti Pomodoro for dinner, and it was hands down the best pasta I’ve ever had. The dish featured a rich San Marzano Tomato DOP sauce, perfectly balanced with garlic, a touch of chilli, and a generous sprinkle of parmesan. Every bite was packed with authentic Italian flavour – simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious. My siblings were equally impressed with their pasta selections. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It felt like a little slice of Italy right in the heart of Auckland. When I visit Auckland again, Dante’s Pizzeria will definitely be on my list. Highly recommended for anyone craving for genuine Italian cuisine in a vibrant setting.

Dante's Pizzeria in Ponsonby is one of the best spots in town for sourdough pizza. The base is light, well-cooked, and has a nicely puffed rim that we really like. Toppings are fresh and balanced, with simple, authentic flavours done right. We had the Truffle, Funghi & Pancetta and the Diavola (both excellent). Always a solid choice when craving proper Italian-style pizza.

Had a very delicious and absolutely authentic DOP Pizza. The only i have seen since years where the dough can "rest" for 3 days to develop a flavor which makes this juwel almost likewise out of space. Thanks guys, have very enjoyed it. 🍕

We ordered Dante with Uber tonite, paid $34 each for 2 spaghetti carbonara, and were really disappointed. One dish was a lot smaller than the other and had less than 5 bits of bacon. Both were gluggy, luke warm and very underwhelming. We called the store immediately who said to complain yo Uber, and refused to assist. Really annoyed, won't be back.

Had high expectations for this place given that the place had won awards. Given that the price of this place is not cheap, averaging $30+ per pizza, definitely expected good things from it and my bar is set higher compare to something that is within just over $20 range. At first impression, this place is very cramped and tables are too small to be comfortable. Music is so loud and service is not that good. So not really off to a good start. We ordered the margherita and the carne pizza. The food came at least not that slow. The only good thing I can say is the pizza dough was nice in texture. However for the carne, the toppings just fell off when I take the pizza and it wasn't that much of a taste. I can feel the meat quality was pretty good, but the taste although wasn't bad, is not justify for me to spend $35+ for a pizza. The margherita I have the same feeling towards it. It was not bad, but not good enough to pay $30 for it. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for me. Will not be coming back for some expensive pizza with not so comfortable dining experience.

I went here for a family dinner and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and even let us use the massive pepper grinder for fun and photos. The food was quite lovely. My dad especially enjoyed the calamari, very well cooked and tender. All the seafood we ordered were well-received. They were fresh and the seasoning didn’t overpower the natural sweetness of the seafood. The pizza base was not the best, as it was kinda floppy which wasn’t great. The pasta was tasty with lots of flavour. The menu was quite extensive and there still lots of other options I would like to try. Overall quite an enjoyable experience. Good for families.

Delicious food, warm and friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere made it perfect for our intimate family gathering. Every dish was generous in size yet so tasty that we all finished everything. We left happy and full. Thank you for a wonderful time.

I discovered Volare Italian Restaurant for my birthday through Google reviews, and it was a great find for us locals in Manukau. It’s perfect for enjoying Italian cuisine without having to travel far into the CBD. The food was a pleasant surprise and did not disappoint. The caramelised popcorn dessert was just wow! Highly recommend this place for a special occasion or a nice dinner out.

Surprisingly beautiful Italian restaurant tucked away in the gardens. Authentic Italian cuisine and such amazing wait staff, very attentive and friendly, always makes a huge difference when dining out. The food was beautiful, and decent servings that please a big appetite.

Totally worth making the trip from central Auckland for a meal in this cosy restaurant. The food was simple yet delicious and you can tell it’s made with great care. The service was truly amazing; warm, attentive and the food came very quickly. I would recommend Volare and look forward to coming back. My standout dish was the penne lope.

Totally enjoyed our meal here that I’ve got my work place to approve coming down for our company event! Everything about the place reminds me of my time in Italy - ambiance, music and of course, the food by an Italian chef! Great job all around from the owner, the chef and his crew, and polite staff. Excellent dining experience. The staff were very attentive and accommodated our requests and adapted the special of the day to our group's desire. Wine selections was outstanding and the deserts were delightful and generous. If you like a Limoncello after dinner I highly recommend trying their home made version - guaranteed to impress. Highly recommend a visit to Volare for a great dining experience.

Firstly fresh and positive vibes as we entered the restaurant with great welcoming from lovely staff members. We ordered vegetarian pizza and pastas along with bread dips and garlic bread which were all so good all I can say. Very well organised staff I would say as we did not have ask them to come and serve they were just there when we wanted to add more.

Loved the food and the drinks.Only thing is that you should do online reservations, otherwise you will not be given a table.

Firstly, great vibe walking to our table. Staff were absolutely amazing. First class service. I had the 500g Rib-eye meal. Wow is so I can say. Veges with it was exceptional with the blue cheese sauce. Wife and kids loved their meal as well. Loved my vodka and lime drink so I had more. 😂 Overall, great experience with amazing food and awesome staff.

A great neighbourhood Italian place. Had the Parpadelle with Beef Ragu. Very nice, rich, well executed. The Tiramisu was delicious, and a generous portion. Friendly and attentive service.

This is nice small Italian restaurant, with moderate menu options. We had the Gongozolo and Parma Pizzas. Both were good, but slightly lacking the authenticity (The oily nature of authentic Italian pizza)but taste wise good. Will come for more.

Papa's pizza was such a vibe! We had our team bonding dinner here. The food, vibe, ambience and drinks we're amazing. The owners and staff were super friendly and awesome hosts. This is my third time and it gets better every time. I highly recommend Papa's 👌

Delicious pasta. Not a great arrival experience though. Their main door facing the street leads to the kitchen so we had to find the side entrance. There was another group of customers in front of us waiting for the waitstaff to be seated. After a while with other kitchen staff passing by and no acknowledgment, the group ahead of us left. Finally the chef came out and told us to go upstairs where the waitstaff and tables were. While the food was good, the experience was not. They should improve their main entrance and have waitstaff downstairs to welcome customers

I don’t know what has happened to this place but its simply disappointing. They were already late with my pick up order, but had also got my order wrong. I had to point out that acknowledging and apologising for the error would go a long way. Furthermore, I had to wait an additional 20 mins when I was advised it’ll be another 10, then received it with a topping missing, and the pizza tasted like it was cooked far too long. Service & food quality for the price - I imagine I will have come out happier at a pizza chain store.

The entrance was tricky to find – it's actually on the side, not the front. Once inside, the upstairs dining area was cozy. We tried their gluten-free pizza, which was okay – nothing spectacular, but decent.

I used to come here as a kid more than 20 years ago and thought it would be cool to come back. Sad to say i was disappointed in the food, the pizza was good but they got the order wrong initially and the mussels were bland and lacked flavour. While the staff were friendly they didnt check in once to see if our food was okay and cleared plates while we were still eating. At the end of the day it was overpriced for pretty average service and food.

Food - Salty, too much seasoning and dessert was too sweet too. Everything was flavored too much. However, I loved how everything was displayed neatly. Service - good. Up selling was a bit too much but well served. Price - expensive. We paid 220 for two including 3 wines, everything in the photo and one dessert. Overall - the vibe and service were good but I felt it was overpriced and food was average.

Came here for lunch with my boyfriend — overall, a bit of a mixed bag. The house bread was easily the best part — warm, fresh, and full of flavor. We could’ve honestly just had that and been happy. I had the ravioli, which was okay — nothing special, but decent. My boyfriend’s risotto was slightly too salty, which took away from the dish overall. Service was fine — not bad, but nothing memorable. The restaurant decor, on the other hand, was really well done. Great ambiance and a nice place to sit and relax.

My girlfriend and I had lunch at this restaurant and really enjoyed the experience. The décor was lovely, and the Italian baked bread selection was a highlight — soft, fresh, and full of flavour. The burnt butter, though a touch on the salty side, was rich and delicious, while the beetroot dip had a wonderful depth of flavour. The bruschetta was also quite good, though the portion felt a little small for the price. The Coconut Sunset mocktail was refreshing and nicely balanced. For our mains, we had the mushroom risotto and the scampi ravioli. I found the risotto a bit salty for my taste, but it was still very flavourful. My girlfriend felt the ravioli was slightly firm. The saltiness likely comes down to personal preference.

Visited last week and what a lovely ambience. There is a bar at the entrance, and seats along the side. I ordered this delicious tuna sashimi with wasabi mayo, tomatoes and crust. Sparkling water is a courtesy. Staff was fast and helpful. There are other dishes I want to try and I expect the same quality as the one I had. Great place for a romantic dinner as well.

Beautifully presented and delicious food indeed loved the buns will have those again . The male gentleman working in the bar area had a bit of a chip on his shoulder.. Not too friendly.. Riding the ego wave. So 1 star taken for that uncomfortable encounter . However the person who served us was very friendly and accommodating with great communicating skills... Place is a bit on the top end cost wise. . I eat out a lot so am comparing it with other similar restaurants. I like the area it is in quiet and peaceful. Went there midday on the week so not many people at all.

Love all their dishes basically, but current faves are burnt butter bread, scallop prawn pasta, rare-seared tuna, chips, grilled calamari salad and of course the sticky toffee pudding! We go there regularly with our little one. Wonderful attentive staff too. Connor is always helpful and friendly. Thank you :) Best restaurant in Auckland hands down!
