Vietnamese fusion restaurant. The window seats with a view of Galway Street create a nice atmosphere, with paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. The service was friendly and professional. I would recommend the kingfish crudo and tiger prawn entrée. However, I found the main dish a bit disappointing. The pork belly reminded me of Hong shao rou from Chinese restaurants, but it didn’t have much depth of flavour and was quite sweet. The soft shell crab salad was also served in a sweet sauce, which might not be appealing to those who aren’t fans of soggy fried food. On a positive note, the use of lemongrass was a nice touch compared to other Vietnamese fusions that rely heavily on coriander.

We had dinner with my wife's family In cafe Hanoi a few weeks back and it was amazing. The food was delicious, the staff was really engaging and the dining setup was impressive. The food standout for the Taste, presentation and Verity of different dishes. I would love to come back again next time while we are staying in Auckland.

Hanoi Cafe in the city is an excellent choice for your next date night. It’s a little more upscale than many other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, which makes the experience feel a bit more special. I was impressed with how well the venue uses its space, featuring two main dining areas and a seated bar. We had an 8:30 pm booking on a Saturday night for two, and we were promptly seated. Our server was friendly and walked us through both the food and drink menus. While it was different from what I typically expect at a Vietnamese restaurant, I was genuinely excited to try a variety of the dishes. We each ordered a cocktail. I had the Landing Dragon, which was zesty yet light. The blend of fine filtered vodka, elderflower, green tea, and vegan foam made it refreshing and unique. The other cocktail we tried was also tangy and very fresh (I can’t remember the name!). For starters, we shared the Phở Gà and the crispy rice flour and coconut milk pancake with lettuce wraps, soft herbs, and nuoc cham (with roast duck, shiitake, basil, and red chili). Though listed as starters or sharing plates, the portions were very generous and could easily be meals on their own. The Phở Gà had a warm, soothing broth with a deep chicken flavour. The pancake was a highlight. The rice flour shell was crispy, the duck was tender, and the mixture of herbs and lettuce wraps made for a fun and fresh way to eat. The nuoc cham dipping sauce added a perfect sweet, tangy balance. For mains, we had the pork belly. I was expecting it to be crispy, but the soft, slow-cooked style was still very tasty. A bit more sauce would have been nice, but it was easy enough to scoop some from the bowl. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Hanoi Cafe. It’s a bit busier and pricier than other Vietnamese spots, but it’s a fun and flavourful option, especially if you’re looking to elevate your usual Vietnamese dining experience.

Another great restaurant. If you love Vietnamese food or would like to try Vietnamese food then this is the place to go. Food was delicious. We had the set menu and were seated upstairs in a private room as it was a company function. The service was great. Nothing was a hassle and the atmosphere was good too. We had a few people with dietary requirements and that was no problems for them. The cost is above average. Highly recommend. Pic is of the delicious dessert.

Come for take away, but let me tell you this place is luxury and crowded so prepare your clothes and make reservation! Prawn fillets with young rice battered is the star (I was surprised with the sauce - a bit thai sour and spicy flavour which brought a nice balance to the deep fried dish). Fresh paper rolls were okay. Good tight rolls with a hint of pine apple - very south Vietnam flavour. Good choice. Banh Hoi, on the other hand, was not as expected. Beef skews were bit too chewy, and not much bánh hỏi. Good side it had good fish sauce and good amount of veggies. 3 dishes for $76 - can't complain when you choose fine dining in auckland cbd, so prepare your wallet. Staffs are super nice. Crowded but they all move smoothly and fast.

Unfortunately, our experience at this establishment was far from pleasant. From the moment we entered, we felt unwelcome — a feeling that only intensified as the visit progressed. The staff showed little effort to accommodate individual needs, which is particularly disappointing when one is not feeling well and relies on a certain level of consideration. The menu was surprisingly limited, with barely three main options available, and no flexibility or alternative suggestions were offered when we inquired. The atmosphere was also uncomfortable — despite the chilly weather outside, the air conditioning was blowing directly at us, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. Perhaps we did not fit the image of the “ideal guest” in terms of appearance, but clothing should never determine the level of respect or quality of service one receives. It certainly says nothing about a person’s financial situation or expectations when it comes to professional hospitality. An establishment that wishes to position itself above the average should do more than rely on aesthetics — genuine warmth, respect, and attentiveness to guests are what truly set a place apart. Overall, a disappointing experience we are not eager to repeat.

Had our first dinner here while visiting Auckland for the first time and it did not disappoint. It’s a lovely atmosphere, very inviting and warm. It’s lively but still quiet enough for you to easily have a conversation with your table mates. The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Be sure to ask them for recommendations. Plates are meant to be shared. The prawns are a must for a starter. They are a wonderful blend of taste and texture. Another stand out was the fish of the day - cooked to perfection and had dill on it! Everything we had was wonderful. It was a memorable meal. I would definitely return.

Definitely a five-star restaurant you should book in advance. We went for lunch at 12 on Saturday and it was almost fully booked. Both the kawahai seafood and the spaghetti pasta were excellent, we finished every bite! For drinks, I highly recommend trying their signature options, whether cold or hot. I’ll definitely be coming back for any occasion.

Nice and cozy restaurant/cafe/bakery spot. Tried out their pasta for lunch. A friend recommended their Scampi pasta and did not regret. We also got their Pappardelle, Lamb Ragu. Decent serving portion. We also checked out their bakery section afterwards and got a Creme Brûlée donut as a sweet treat. The donut was packed with creamy custard inside along with the burnt sugar on the outside which balanced out the sweetness. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting Auckland and looking for a chill place for lunch or dinner.

Been hearing about this place for sometime. So we booked lunch today for a very special occasion. The food indeed was delicious. I got to taste a bit of everyone's order lol. Venue isn't bad at all. Was really busy I can see. A bit crowded for the size and they can spruce the place up a bit in my opinion. After all everyone's paying sort of top dollar. Service was overall good and attentive ... could use a bit more smiles guys. I found corkage fee for bringing your own small birthday day cake a bit over the top especially when we aren't asking for extra plates or cutlery. Going back? For the food...definitely yes. otherwise hmmm...

Wow a real authentic Italian restaurant serving a fantastic menu. The sauces were heavenly and could even meet Michelin standards. The service is perfect and friendly as well as helpful. Atmosphere is like being in Italy 🇮🇹 but we are in 🇳🇿 . Abit pricey but worth every single penny 👌 👌👌👍👍👍

The food is incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. We had breakfast here, and you could truly say it’s a breakfast for champions! OMG!!! This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever visited in my life!!! Such a beautiful spacious spot with really tall windows that lits the place with natural sunlight but yet dim to give it this beautiful aesthetic n relaxed feel. They have an open concept kitchen where you could see all those professionals preparing the food 🤩 Menu is limited but from simple classic plates they create an elevated dish! You MUST VISIT when you’re in Auckland!

Excellent food and perfect ambiance. I had the best breakfast Mushroom, sourdough poached egg, Parmesan cheese. Very creamy and delicious. The coffee was fantastic. The only thing that concerned me a bit was they gave me a bar seat and I was sitting in front of the timber column and I saw 3 insects crawling to my plate and I guess it must be from the timber column. I did mention it to the server who said they usually do pest control. I hope they take it seriously. One of the highlights was their bakery next to the restaurant with fantastic croissants and bakery items.

The vibes were super chill and the food did not disappoint! prawn dumplings that were fresh and flavourful. The spring rolls and vegetarian options were great as well. The bao bun was a good size with a generous, tasty filling. Overall, a great spot for a relaxed meal with solid food across the board. Just the chicken dish from one of the dishes in mains wasn’t that great chicken wasn’t Cooked properly.

Our friends took us to this amazing place. We went all out with the Nine Dragons Delta set menu. Every plate had its own unique flavour, beautifully balanced and well thought out. Every cocktail came out perfect. The ambiance was pumping and the service was attentive with a unique polish personality. On top of this, each table had smiling faces and great vibes. 100% recommend

A restaurant located on the quieter end of Ponsonby Road. Delicious Asian fusion food and the restaurant has a really great vibe. The curry was delicious and so were the dumplings. The only letdown was that the drinks ordered (mango tango) did not taste like it had any mango in it. Thanks to the server for giving us a mango gelato serve to make up for it.

This is one of few places I wholeheartedly love and crave to go to. Attentive and professional service, very short wait time for food, exceptional meal quality and flavors - it is truly everything you can wish for. The dishes are prepared with a high level of skill that is hard to replicate at home. I love the interiors and vibe of the place itself - it has a fireplace, very tasteful lighting and colour accents,and it is not loud there despite it being a very busy place. Very friendly staff. Special metion to pork belly which is the best I have ever tried in Auckland and the overall food quality and vibrant flavors. It was so good that we finished half the belly and the entire duck salad before I remembered to take photos

I hadn't been to Mekong Baby for a very long time, and admit to forgetting about it. We were looking for a place whose kitchen was open after 2. So happy to reacquaint myself with Mekong. Our cocktails were delicious, and worth every cent. We ordered Vietnamese rice paper rolls (best i have ever had), lemongrass chicken, which was also delicious. We loved our wait person, he was funny, knowledgeable and made 2 woman diners very happy. Will be back alot sooner. Thankyou.

Easily the best Japanese restaurant experience we have had in New Zealand. After living in Japan for four years we are particular and Cocoro was excellent in all respects. The food was excellent, ambience very good but what really stood out was the service. The team embraced the concept of Omotenashi so well. Looking forward to returning soon! Highly recommend.

We had amazing dinner here we did the à la carte menu. The sashimi was fantastic possibly one of the best in Auckland. If not New Zealand. The steak was amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful and all around great restaurant. I haven’t been for awhile. It’s nice to see they haven’t dropped their standards.

The food is usually very good and ambience is nice for special occasions. This visit was no exception. However, my partner found a moth floating in the broth of their Inaniwa udon, as you can see from the attached photos (a little hard to see due to the lighting, but the antenna and legs are clearly visible). I understand that this happens occasionally with every establishment, but a premium restaurant like Cocoro needs to do better. Me and my partner actually had some of this dish prior to finding the moth! We didn’t make a scene, but it’s disgusting to think that one of us could have swallowed the moth by accident on top of drinking the moth-soaked broth. When we complained, the staff apologised profusely, which was decent of them. I still really wanted to just pay and leave at that point, as the thought of eating moth soup was disgusting. My partner wanted to stay for the dessert we ordered, so there we stayed, had a new udon that they re-prepared and dessert. At the end of the meal, they gave us some chocolate ganache as apology. When paying, they told us about how they will review their pest control (they current have two dispensers). If you are curious, no, they did not take the udon off the bill. The food was delicious, as always, but I took down 4 stars for the moth. Customer service is excellent, attentive and helpful, but greatly lacking the ability to respond to this sort of situation. I hope it was an isolated incident as Cocoro used to be my favourite Japanese restaurant, although I now doubt their overall food safety standards behind the scenes.

WOW the sashimi platter here is insane! It had all my favourites as well as many new morsels I had never tried before. Photos dont do justice to how impressive it is in person, the level of care that goes into the presentation becomes more clear as you go. The service was 10/10 as well. Our lovely (and knowledgeable) server explained the best order to eat certain pieces and what each of the 5 dipping sauces go best with. So much fun, will definitely be back!

The white girl was so good and helpful, gentle voice and quiet nice attitude. The foods looked nice but too salty! Have to keep drinking tea. Not mild flavor as I thought as Japanese dishes.

I had such a wonderful dining experience at Kohi Beach. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a beautiful view that made the evening feel special from the very beginning. The food was excellent – everything was fresh and well prepared, and the steak was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly to my liking. What truly stood out, however, was the service. A big thank you to Zoey and Denise, who looked after us with such kindness and professionalism. They were attentive without being intrusive, always checking in at the right moment, and they made us feel genuinely welcome even when the restaurant was busy. Their positive attitude and friendly smiles added so much to the overall experience. Kohi Beach is definitely a place I would recommend for both the food and the service. I’ll be looking forward to coming back again soon!

29/09 @ 1000H The front of the house person was unfriendly. People behind the counter will just stare at you. Unapproachable and makes you don’t wanna stay there. Lady barista was OK. Could’ve been a good place to catch up with mate tbh but we end up staying on a bench beside beach path.

We arrived just before 7 am while they were setting up, but happily accomodated us. We had a lovely front corner table with beautiful views of the bay. Certainly the very best menu we'd seen during our weekend in Auckland and by far the best service we've encountered for a while. My Americano with cream was perfect and I had a nutty granola with rhubarb and rose compote, greek yogurt and kiwifruit. Delicious! My companion enjoyed her Earl Gray tea and mushrooms and spinach. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, chatty but not dominating and we certainly enjoyed our breakfast this morning. Thanks very much.

The Asian lady in the cashier and the barista was rude on 21 Jun Saturday 25. Was taking my parents from overseas to enjoy this coffee shop and had a really bad experience from these 2 ladies. Never coming back. There are plenty of coffee shops with friendly staff, definitely don’t need this experience. The only person was kind was the the ice cream lady

Delicious food, very well presented, good portions other than the avocado on toast with poached egg - while tasty and looking good small relative to other dishes. Excellent service. Beautiful outside by sea. Went back two days later, for great coffee. The gelato is very good too.

We ordered a Saint Honore cake for a family gathering, and the whole family loved it. The cake was not only beautifully designed, but the flavours were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious treat for any occasion. We'll definitely be coming back for more!

Absolutely divine sweets and pastries at this French café in Parnell. A bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for the quality and flavour. I’ve bought cakes from here a few times and they’ve always been a hit, everyone loved them! Their mini desserts are also a favourite of mine so beautifully made and delicious.

Our team attended Sonia’s pasty class for layered cakes which was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely and Sonia’s incredibly knowledgeable. We all learnt great tips and techniques to take back to our workplace along with our lovely layered cakes to share with our loved ones. Thanks Sonia! We will be back again.

We ordered online "saint honore" for $72.00 This French birthday cake has one size only. The cake looked beautiful, fresh, and so delicious. We called them before we picked it up, and the staff made it packed in the box already for us. The location of the shop is in the small street, luckily they have 5 minutes park area so easily for us to got the car.

This is my "To go to" place for Birthday Cakes. The Zora cake is my favourite. Not too sweet. Tastes divine, can easily eat 2 or 3 slices at a time it's so good. The quality & artistry is 5 Star. It's easy to order online, pickup is seamless...

The best Patisserie in Auckland. Adorable cafe, delicious desserts, always great customer service. Recently I’ve ordered limited cake Opera for Father’s Day and it was yummy. Highly recommend Vaniye Patisserie.

I’ve been a loyal customer for many years. I started coming here when I was still at uni and the shop was in the CBD. Now that it’s moved to the North Shore, I still make the trip just to get it. The vibe has always been great, the owner is really friendly, and the food is just as delicious as ever. Still my favourite spot after all these years.

Nice and quiet corner with absolutely friendly shop services. It is always good to be able to sit away from busy street or cafe and enjoy some sweet. The pancake is very tasty. The red bean cake will be a must try item if you visit.

I always walked past No.1 Pancake witnessing the long queue along the pavement which discouraged me from buying/ trying, when they were still operating in CBD. Was stoked to stumble across them now reopened in Albany, when I was searching for my appointment venue on google map. They were literally just 2 minutes away from where my appointment was. Online order was made with pickup slot available in 10-15 minutes. Walked in to pick up and my order was all ready waiting for me. The owner/ operator was awesome and thoughtful, letting me know that I could help myself to the sauces in lil takeaway containers 😍. Had it not been raining heavily I would have chosen to sit outside and dug into the hot pancakes then and there to admire the charming shop decor. Alas I had to bring them home after 45 minutes drive and the cakes were barely warm. Nevertheless the pancakes were still to die for! I ordered one savoury (beef cheese) and one sweet (red bean). Generous fillings and not oily! Taste-wise : full of flavour yet not overpowering. Everything was well balanced and done to perfection! Now I finally know why people were willing to stand in the line for their pancakes! I will definitely come back for more when opportunity arise and try some other flavours.

Asked them for a random request to make a massive cake for someone at work leaving. They went above and beyond to meet my request and it turned out amazing!! The guy who loved the pancakes was leaving and what better than a huge pancake 🥞 😋 👏 thank you so much 😊 it was amazing!!

Catroux has a decent selection available from their menu or their cabinet. Service was pretty good considering how busy it was when we arrived. We ordered their smoked salmon bagel and their mince and cheese pie (from the cabinet) for a quick bite in the morning. We also got some mochas (we also wanted a vanilla latte, but they didn’t have syrups, which surprised us), but the mochas were good. The pie had a great crust. The mince had more of a Mexican-style flavour, which wasn’t quite what I expected, as I was hoping for a more traditional gravy style, but it was still enjoyable. The smoked salmon bagel had nice ingredients that I think complemented each other nicely. The salmon stood out as the clear leader, but not overpowering, as it can often be.

I had the Fitness Bowl ($28) and Tumeric Glow smoothie ($12.50). Was it worth it for a $40 meal? No. Firstly, it took forever to order, it is a busy place but the service was good. My Fitness Bowl was missing the tahini yoghurt, which was needed to bring the whole meal together and poached egg was over-cooked. It was a hard boil egg, so the meal was very dry….and there was no seasoning. Add the chewy dry halumi….the Fitness bowl was a disappointment. The Tumeric Glow smoothie was a yellow coconut, banana milkshake. It was thin and I could not taste the mango and passionfruit …which was the main reason why I ordered it. I feel that due to the place being so busy, there was a lack of attention to what was being prepared, put together and served. The only thing that had to be cooked was the poached egg…which was an utter fail.

Got a vegan chocolate plum cake. Highly recommend. It was so good with perfect sweetness. Doesn't taste vegan at all. Amazing quality for the price!

This was our first time here on the suggestion from a friend. The cafe is rather intimate and clean but quite noisy due to the large crowds both seated and those in the long queue. That made it very hard to have a contact the table, especially if one of the group speaks quietly. The staff seem quiet friendly even under stress. Our elderly friend loved her wee cake, my husband liked the quiche but I tried to like it but not really. Next time I’ll choose something from the delicious looking cake section. The negative thing from our first visit here was my coffee was completely forgotten and we had to ask twice if it was coming. We were asked what size we had ordered (what?) and it did arrive in less than 3 minutes after this question. Sadly I didn’t enjoy it at all as the coffee tasted burnt and bitter so I couldn’t drink it. My husband did as he said, “it’s paid for and I’m not wasting it!” The prices are quite reasonable. We will go back just to see if our experience can be improved, fingers crossed it will be.

I wish the New Catroux success however I will pass for quite some time I realise they were on their 3rd day of their new premises & we expected delays ..my expectations were based on my previous experiences from their previous address .. The food served to me was a shock & while placing the egg which had slipped off one potato Rosti I was still very much unable to make my meal attractive in anyway so I asked for another plate to Re plate & attempted to make my meal more presentable.. my regret is that I ate any of it at all but being polite you try not to spoil anymore the occasion for others .. There was no other cooked meal that went passed that I would go back for being a foodie although mine was the worst that we saw however some of the cabinet food which you can see & looked fresh & appetising.. Staff were polite & atmosphere very pleasant # Picture posted is of my smoked fish eggs Benedict after I had replaced one egg without success of looking appetising..

We had the BEST lunch today. The salads are next level, and the menu is varied and everything sounds great. Allpress coffee of course. The new premises are spacious and fresh and the staff are friendly and efficient. What more could one want? We'll make this our regular from now on. Wendy & Victor

We loved H&T. It is located on street corner, with sunny tables. This place is a perfect winter cafe, toasty and warm. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed until closing and were offered a free cinnamon bun or doughnut because they're baked fresh every day. I highly recommend this cafe. Absolutely wonderful!

The best brunch spot. Easy, casual and simple but on point. Always nails it and never once have I regretted going there. Eggplant parm is simply the best, and this is coming from someone who would always choose any forms of meat over anything else. The staff there are always really nice and friendly. You know how the mark of a good eatery is when you have it take away and it still tastes just as better. Love this place!

Holy WOW. We were just looking for a quick breakfast in the area and this place blew our minds. We both got breakfast sandwiches, a hash brown, cinnamon roll & some coffee and it was so delectable, unique and well-made with house ingredients! 5⭐️ - B&E sandwich - the chutney in this was SUCH a nice touch, so tasty along with the house bun! 5⭐️ - Geezer sandwich - the house bun makes this so perfect but the piccadelli sauce was also *chefs kiss* We added this to our food list (which is a big deal!) so we will be back if in Auckland in the future!

This place is incredible. The grilled cheese sandwiches and breakfast buns were absolutely to die for, fries also on point and the sweet cinnamon roll and coffee was perfect for washing it down. Portion sizes were perfect, and everything was reasonably priced! Hare & Turtle you stunner. Located in blockhouse bay auckland this spot is tucked away but you can immediately tell its popular from the swathes of people stopping by. The service was perfect from ordering to it being delivered - super friendly staff and very helpful.

What a wonderful place! Their restaurant food is amazing, with great portion sizes! Out of all 4 pictured meals, I can’t say I have a favourite because they were all great. They also have a great selection of cabinet food. The restaurant and cabinet food is naturally a little bit pricey but I am definitely not complaining! The only thing for me was that the iced matcha was very watered down with milk, and therefore was very milky which wasn’t the best. Also all the menus online need updating! They’re really busy most of the time (we were booked in at 11am) and the wait time for our meals and drink took about an hour, but they have a sign outside warning you about the wait time during peak hours. Their service is also really good, most especially from Mike who is just lovely and extremely friendly, and Julian who is nice also very friendly. Do I even have to talk about the atmosphere? I would especially recommend booking a table outside for a nice view out back. The cafe is situated right in the park in a beautiful Homestead and has a lovely little art gallery and shop. I would 100% recommend coming here!

Tried the famous cinnamon bun and it did not disappoint! Definitely can be shared between at least two people to avoid being put into a coma. What we loved more about this cafe is the variety of cabinet food. Quote a lot of gluten free options here too. Definitely will be back to try a few more things!

Honestly, there are so many lovely things to say about this place. I came through on Thursday morning and the staff were gems. Coffee is amazing and they had a great range of sweets in the cabinet to choose from. I highly recommend booking a table for whenever you come in because it is very popular (for a reason). this is my second time coming here and it doesn’t disappoint! my friend and i really enjoyed our meals and the service, we came on a thursday and everything came out quickly after ordering. Juna was especially helpful and lovely! it would be nice to see a v/egan version of the cinnamon roll

Visited the cafe last week with family on a clear sky of winter and this place is perfect! ive been here in summer and its absolutely gorgeous. The wait time is a little bit longer than usual, the place was just pack but the wait staff who ushered us was warm, friendly and was very helpful. I had the DIY breakfast but the cinnamon buns we had are just perfect. a little too sweet to be honest but man we had to get some takeaways to drown the bland winter. will be definitely be back soon!

I went here for breakfast today and it was super packed. Luckily, I only had to queue for about 20 minutes, which seemed reasonable for a Saturday. I ordered the banana pastry and the maple glaze monkey bread—both were flaky, buttery, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the iced matcha latte was the downside of my experience. While the flavor was good, the cup was about 3/4 filled with ice (as shown in my photo), and the actual drink was gone in just a few sips. It felt like a total rip-off and left me quite disappointed. Overall, great pastries but the iced drinks could use less ice! I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Prepare yourself, this place gets busy, but for a completely understandable reason 💖 This cafe is BRILLIANT. There is a cabinet filled with some of the most gorgeous pastries that are consistently being restocked through the morning. My partner and I shared the pistachio croissant, black sesame croissant and the focaccia Reuben sandwich. Each of these were toasted and filled to the brim with their respective fillings. For the amount of orders ahead of us our order came relatively fast **cheers to the hardworking barista ✨ Their coffee was easy and smooth and their earl grey matcha was delightful (as opposed to a different review, I would say my matcha came with the perfect amount of ice) We will most certainly be back! - Note: there is limited indoor seating but plenty of areas to perch on outside

One of our favourite, go-to spots in the city! It's always super busy whenever we go, so we often have to queue for a while and finding a free table can be a challenge, but for us it's still worth the wait and visit. Highly recommend the corn jalapeño pastry and the black sesame croissant in particular!

I have a love/hate relationship with the bacon and egg bap. Crappy bacon, egg yolk everywhere, crumbly bun. Not at Mibu. It was perfect. Brioche bun, perfectly scrambled egg and amazing chutney. And great coffee. Super fast and friendly service. Highly recommend.

Im a regular here and the pastries are always on point! They chnage it up quite often so great variety. I often find the coffee, especially the iced, kind of weak so always get an extra shot. Service is fine but the vibes of the place are great. Cool interior and decor.

Called in here Thursday 6 February 2025 for a Steak n Kidney pie $7. Pastry was very nice & so was Steak, but no Kidneys😥. Just Kidney flavour hence the one star.

Hands down best pies. Within a bite, you’ll instantly feel the burst of flavors and quality, caressed with love and dedication that has been put into the Mill Bakehouse’s pastries and pies. On top of that, you’ll feel welcomed by their staff and leave with a smile, as well as a happy tummy! :)

I’ve been here a few times over the years but it must have been sold in the last year or 3 (not sure when) coffee was fine, just fine. The food was fine but it looks like I lost just bought in and put on display case, cakes look pretty but all just bland and solid cake. Lacked flavour. Service excellent, just food and coffee not what it once was. Maybe I’m wrong, but Disney seem like same people who set it up. Just my opinion, but no longer for me this establishment. But I do hope the locals continue to support all local business, including this one.

We were recommended to stop by en route to Waitakare Ranges and it was one of the most delicious pies we have ever had. There was a wide array of pie options and we went for the vegetable one. Scrumptious, filling and reasonably priced!

After a jaunt to Piha beach it was nice to stop in at the Mill Bakehouse for a L&P & a Mince n Cheese. Fast & pleasant service. Pie was awesome!! Hung out in the parking lot with the free range chickens (right across from the fried chicken place.....😎) & shared a wee bit of my pie with them & the Sparrows they were very well mannered.

Came here with my bestie for a pre birthday date and WOW. We sampled a meat and cheese pastry, a pain au pesto (at our servers recommendation), a pandan supreme wheel, and a salted caramel cruffin. We also had 2 amazing lattes (one with trim milk, one with oat milk). This is such a special place and my new reason to come to ponsonby more often. Just a short walk from Mobil, Manis bakery hosts a range of sweet and savoury pastries, cabinet food and super smooth coffee. The music was just right and not too loud - we could still have a conversation. Everything seems to be made on site and with real love to it. These folks aren’t bakers, they’re artistes!

The pastries are allll goodd.. my fave one is pain au chocolate.. it is just as simple as i love chocolate and the pastry taste really nice. Once I tried to leave the pastry till 2 days and started to eat it and it still tasted very good. Awesome!! So, manis bakery has a good quality product I know they have a lot of new menus. The head baker is really smart and able to create new items... I am personally know him and He spend every single day to improve the quality and discover new menus by himself. The Baker's name is Angga Safril, experienced in French Pastry for 7 yearss!!😁😁😁

Absolutely amazing all of it the service, the atmosphere and the food! I am from South Auckland and I travelled the distance just to try it and did not disappoint! Highly recommend the short bread cookies they crumble perfectly in your mouth. My favourite out of the 4 items I purchased was the cheesecake the whole thing was delicious. My husband and I will go back again and try the Banoffee pie and creme brûlée. Thank you

One of my favourite cafes in Auckland (this and the factory), especially their cakes. Never had a disappointment on whichever I chose. They had a few discounted products on the weekend that I visited. Happy with the taste and the comfortable atmosphere.

We went for a little drive to the city to end our dinner with some yummy dessert. I told my nieces to surprise me as we were celebrating my early birthday and they chose the tasting platter. I only ate two and took the rest home but my two faves were the lemon meringue tart and the banoffee. The girls all had ice cream and they loved it. Lovely way to end the night

Amazing matcha the mont blanc on top was absolutely yum. Will definitely come back for more. The strawberry jelly underneath was a sweet kick that did not appeal to me but the matcha was delish.

I was so happy to find Miann as not many places are open late in the CBD when you are craving a sweet treat. The staff were very friendly even though it was quite busy when we went. They had a wide variety of beautiful looking desserts, ice cream and an amazing hot chocolate selection. We got the dark hot chocolate and the smores hot chocolate. They were both so tasty and rich which is what we wanted. The desserts all contained gelatine and so not many vegetarian options but other than that it was lovely.

This is a high end dessert place right easily assessable from the entrance of Britomart train station. I've tried the creme brulee and I must say, it is pretty nice. The serving size for it is good for the price, big enough to be shared between two people (but not too big that I can't have it all to myself). It has a very nice bougie atmosphere and the music thankfully isn't too loud.

Great little cafe. Freshly baked croissants, pan au chocolate, almond croissant. My fave ! So good that I had to buy a box to take with me back to Christchurch. Really close to where we are staying at Parkside Hotel too which is a bonus. Will be back again next time we are in Auckland. Thank you team.

Been to Fort Green twice, located on K-Road. Discovered in 2023 while browsing one morning before an event, and visited again in 2024 when in Auckland as the last leg of my journey. Great service and friendly staff, great location, and great food both times! Always seems to be well populated with diners, and probably one of my first overall choices.

Good coffee, two days in a row, and great pastries on day two - a hot cross bun for Easter, a cruffin and a pain au chocolate. Great. Nice buzz and friendly atmosphere.

Come for the Ruben Sandwich and stay for the coffee/pastry combo. A friendly cafe with an excellent choice of delicious breakfast bites and good quality coffee. Only minor issue is the few dubious people whom roam the area. However, I assume where the government has failed, the local business owners have stepped up by employing a security company.

We loved our experience at Gochu. The waitress was so friendly and when asked if we had allergies she was incredibly accomodating positive about it all. Honestly my best experience in NZ allergies wise from a restaurant. Although it was a set menu, a few things were changed to accomodate us. The food looked beautiful and tasted fabulous. We were all saying how we never would have tried this place if it wasn't for first table and now we will tell everyone how good it is. Thanks so much we all enjoyed our experience!

Absolutely incredible service both Lily and Cheryl looked after us for the evening and they were excellent. We did the $55 menu and it was DELICIOUS!! The dumplings at the start were a highlight for us, would recommend 100%

Great location!! Staff was helpful and friendly. This js Korean fusion so don’t expect authenticity. Fried chicken the sauce is a bit sweet to me, not spicy enough. XO noodle was not bad, creamy and flavorful with a nice tangy touch of pickled daikon. Their signature milk bun was nice but I would not say it’s exceptional, I still recommend you to try though. My least favorite dish was the pork ssam, the rolls were filled with rice and barely any pork, pickled cabbage kind of overpowered other flavors and it’s $7 each…. Surprisingly the super star was oysters, they’re super fresh, kimchi juice was spot on and only to elevate the creaminess of the oysters. I would suggest this place for groups so you can try different dishes altogether.

This place is awesome! I always have a meal here when I come to Auckland. It's located inside Commercial Bay in the city. The Milk Bun is definitely a must. I also recommend their Crispy Eggplant and Fried Chicken. You won't be disappointed. I would visit everytime just for those 3 dishes alone!

I was half tucking into my delicious chicken and pesto panini when I realised I must take a pic for a review ( sorry about the bad photo skills) very nice cafe, spotlessly clean, nice selection of sandwiches and pastries and also very fine French sweets almost too good to eat. A very warm welcome from the front staff very attentive and chatty. The coffee was very good too . Would definitely be back for more , the pastries were very good 👍👍 we decided to buy more to take home for later which was particularly good for my sugar cravings after dinner 😊 Thanks

La Petite Fourchette at the Viaduct is my absolute favorite spot for a morning coffee, and for good reason! The atmosphere has a truly special French feel that is both authentic and welcoming. April 2025: Amazing quality and service. I had a beautiful champagne ham and cheese sandwich with a long black, which was exceptionally rich and smooth. What coffee beans do you use, folks? Then, I wanted to add a chocolate eclair but they were out. So they made a special one just for me. You're iconic! Please keep up the good work and maintain your exceptionally quality! July 2021: The peculiar waiter is still there. The new story goes as follows. There were quite a few people waiting for their ☕ outside. She came out with a cup, looking for the person who ordered it. First, she approached our table, when a cup of coffee was standing in front of each of us. Then, she approached another person who looked hesitant concerning whether this is the coffee that she ordered or not. Eventually this person took the coffee. However, after taking a couple of sips, she realized that it's not her order and returned it. The waiter took the cup and continued looking for their owner. She found them and tried giving it to them. Only when the owner said that there is lipstick on the cup and she can't have it, the waiter went away promising to return with another cup. @La Petite, it might be the time to take your Fourchette and get your customer service back to your standards. June 2021: They were amazing and then they hired a new staff member. She messed up our order, brought us something else and when we told her that this is not what we asked for she just took it back; we went to the counter to remind the more senior person what we actually ordered. Then she brought the dish, apologized, and smashed the coffee lit when putting the dish on the table. Will try to avoid this kind of service next time. May 2021: A real French 💎. Various goods that make it hard to choose. And the got a new set of cakes.

Accidentally discovered this unique artistic bakery cafe yesterday. Came back today by myself for my feast. Impressed by the look of the pie, more impressed by the unique pastry taste. There’s no oily buttery feels, but nicely balanced of flaky crust. Detailed mousse cake with very unique and details taste. I love strong latte. This place gonna be my top spot to chill from now on. More selections in the morning, after lunch, it’s coffee n cake time. Just like me. My emptied plates proved my reviews 🥰🥰

We were really looking forward to these pies after reading all the good reviews, but they were a huge letdown. Both the steak and cheese, and the mince and cheese pies were really bland, the filling was a weird, pale color with a strange gelatinous texture. Didn't notice any cheese, and the pastry was undercooked and soggy. The butter chicken pie was also gelatinous, lacked that butter chicken flavour, it just tasted bland and overly sweet. We couldn't even finish them, straight into the bin they went :(

We LOVE this bakery so so much. The danishes are next level amazing, the donuts are delicious, so many pie flavours (loads of vegan options too) and they are always hot and delicious. But bacon and egg sandwich is my absolute favourite. Everything is always fresh and made with care. Coffee and food is consistently good. AND THEY ARE SO NICE!! I take my son in sometimes after football and the owner always asks how his game went. They are a lovely bunch making lovely food.

My partner and I decided to give Rollers a go today, just after 12pm on Saturday. Quite a busy time, despite that, this bakery still had a lot of items. All we brought from there was a Steak & Cheese and a Bacon & Egg pie, fair price for this day and age. Thoughts are, If you're looking for a solid classic Steak and Cheese pie, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a dfferent/New experience on a steak and cheese pie this is for you, it has a very...different taste. Not good or bad just not up my alley. Hence why I didn't enjoy it at all. And I smash back steak and cheese pies any day. Now, if you're looking for a Classic bacon and egg pie with the usual suspects (Bacon, Egg, cheese) this also isn't for you it's a..different approach to a bacon and egg pie if you love tomato relish & spinach this is all you. Overall experience of service was a little lacking. I will be fair due to the time frame we went as it was very busy & I can understand having one person busy up front and a lot of customers and having the need to rush people out, doesn't leave much time to browse as I would have gotten something else if I wasn't made to feel rushed. Will we visit again? Not very likely, however the sweet treats section looks impressive

Hands down one of the best pie places in Auckland. Visited randomly on our way up north, had the Steak, bacon jam + cheese pies. So delicious, great filling and beautiful pastry! Had to visit again and try their desserts too, which were also amazing! Will have to re-visit next time we're in NZ!

Not your normal bakery. It does things with a twist, so if you’re after a normal kiwi pie, it might not be for you. Donuts are the highlight of the place. Staff on the front counter could be a little happier.

Ordered a Classic Dog combo with fries for my son, who only wanted tomato sauce on it and without the other toppings. The fries were tasty, but he found the hot dog pretty average. I had a bite and had to agree. Maybe it would have tasted better with the normal toppings, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this time

Chili cheese dog was pretty good, the chili sauce wasn't too spicy but a bit fatty, and the side of fries was just the right portion.

The Philly Cheese Steak is unbelievable. Absolutely recommend it. Loaded Fries Chicken: Unfortunately, the chicken was not fresh (it had clearly been fried before, just reheated). The fries were undercooked, totally soggy. Please give them the time they need in the fryer. Fix that and you'll be at 5 stars. Still a recommendation!

The food was mediocre. Could have easily bought better elsewhere. The customer service was good, but I got some cold chips in with the fresh ones. It tasted like a hot dog, but a standard sausage sizzle would have booted that home. Anyway, all-around good effort, but they need to work on that one. This review is for Onehunga not Queen street.

More Bad Dog than good. The best part is the bun. They toast it nicely and it is great quality bread. The rest of the hot dog is not so great. The frank is more breakfast sausage pork than a hot dog. The chili has a really strange flavor. The cheese is like runny nacho cheese. Pass on the bacon as well. They offer lots of things, but sadly do not allow for you to customize what you order. The mac in cheese is really an extra salty cheese soup with noodles in it.

Located on the 2nd floor of the mall, it’s inside the food court about 3 rows in. Ordering is easy on the tablet at the counter and food come out piping hot. The bun is fluffy and the Philly cheese steak is very well seasoned. There’s lots of cheese sauce on top and the caramelized onions are great.

I come here most mornings when driving past for work. Thier quality of food and service is always excellent. Food is always fresh, and taste the same every time. Quality and taste of thier pies is what makes my mornings. Having the first bite of thier homemade pies is the best way to start my day. Also recommend thier pastry dishes too. Always nice to have a treat later. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right.

This was a surprising find, it's more of a pass-by lunch bar than an actual sit in and dine eatery, but there's still some seating outside and some high chairs inside. The food are your casual pies and sandwiches sort of pick, but they're of really good quality. I got the steak and mushroom pie and they have actual chunky pieces of steak in them, with big slices of button mushrooms. They've also got a cute little garden area down the back with more seating. Would definitely come back .

This is not a bad spot to grab a quick lunch if you're on the go. The gyoza was not bad (pork and chives, by the way) , and the pies are pretty good. Would really love it if there were some more salad options. It's hard to get excited about, but I do like the stuff I get from here, especially if I'm just looking for a quick light lunch or bite.

Locally made food which is delicious, coffee was in point. Unfortunately it is expensive, add ons on coffee are over the top in my opinion.

I absolutely had to stop in because I was craving the Salmon & Herb Hush Cake. This café sits along the road with a lineup of deli-style meals and a menu you’d expect from a full-on restaurant. I used to walk past it all the time, but the other day when I ordered a flat white, I spotted the Salmon & Herb Hush Cake in the cabinet and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I promised myself I’d make time to come back...and I’m so glad I did. There’s only outdoor seating available, but it’s not bad at all. What really stood out to me was how friendly and genuine the staff were; just top-notch service that really leaves a good impression. I dropped in during the morning, and it honestly set a great tone for the rest of my day. It might not look like much from the outside, but once you’re in, you’ll be surprised by how extensive the menu is. And the Salmon & Herb Hush Cake? It’s basically a full-blown Eggs Benedict—and a generous one at that! You won’t find anything like it for just $15 anywhere else. Highly recommended!

The salad bowls here are quite good. We also bought 2 frozen packs of chicken broth. They get a little busy during lunch hours. Coffee was good too. They make whole cakes which you can order off the website. The only place in Auckland we found that does hummingbird cake.

We’ve had an amazing catering experience with Ripe Deli. They were accommodating to our needs and preferences. The website showed a lot of food options and good photos for reference. It is on the pricier side, but you can’t beat good quality and presentation.

Discovered the Ripe Grey Lynn “Mothership” about a year ago now and I am continually impressed by their delicious and nutritious food. The selection and seasonality of their salads is second to none! The customer service is excellent, with staff always happy to point me in the right direction in terms of food choice and other recommendations. Seeds and sauerkraut are a must!!!

Ripe Deli cheese scones are the bestttttt Fight me on this 🙆🏻‍♀️. Went twice last week and they'd sold out... Back up option the first time was a savoury brioche they are also DELISH. The second time was a date and citrus scone... Should have got the cinnamon brioche 🙈 I like date scones but too many dates for me... I'm also in LOVE with their salted caramel brownie and basically all their sweet food 😂

Really disappointed by the beef wrap. It’s almost entirely plain shredded cabbage. The beef is nice but hard to enjoy when it’s so overwhelmed with cabbage. And for $14 it really wasn’t worth. Disappointed because I know other items are good but this was a let down.

Great range, we had the Mexican wrap, which started off great but as you get closer to the end there is less and less filling and more and more wrap/bread. But very delicious and would go again, would love to try more of the things in the cabinet, it all looks great

The food and coffee is consistently delicious, the ladies are so lovely - new favourite place to eat! Amazing selection of the freshest wraps and sweet items too.

It is rare to find a place that makes good coffee. Here does not disappoint . One of the best flat whites I have had. Edit: Also yes I had the cinnamon brioche and that did not disappoint. It was beautiful.
