Been hearing about this place for sometime. So we booked lunch today for a very special occasion. The food indeed was delicious. I got to taste a bit of everyone's order lol. Venue isn't bad at all. Was really busy I can see. A bit crowded for the size and they can spruce the place up a bit in my opinion. After all everyone's paying sort of top dollar. Service was overall good and attentive ... could use a bit more smiles guys. I found corkage fee for bringing your own small birthday day cake a bit over the top especially when we aren't asking for extra plates or cutlery. Going back? For the food...definitely yes. otherwise hmmm...

Wow a real authentic Italian restaurant serving a fantastic menu. The sauces were heavenly and could even meet Michelin standards. The service is perfect and friendly as well as helpful. Atmosphere is like being in Italy 🇮🇹 but we are in 🇳🇿 . Abit pricey but worth every single penny 👌 👌👌👍👍👍

This restaurant more than lives up to all the great reviews. The setting, location, interior, and vibe are perfectly in tune with each other. The food is incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. We had breakfast here, and you could truly say it’s a breakfast for champions! If you’re staying in Auckland, this place is an absolute must-visit.

Went to Amano for breakfast before departing on a ferry to Waihiki for a wine tour so we wanted to be sure we were fed well… we definitely were! Portions were plentiful and the coffee was great. There are options for pastries or large breakfast and brunch items. The avocado toast was large with lots of flavour. This is a large cafe restaurant, with plenty of seating. We went around 9am and I would predict it fills up fast! Would highly recommend adding the crispy fried potatoes to any meal!

OMG!!! This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever visited in my life!!! Such a beautiful spacious spot with really tall windows that lits the place with natural sunlight but yet dim to give it this beautiful aesthetic n relaxed feel. They have an open concept kitchen where you could see all those professionals preparing the food 🤩 Menu is limited but from simple classic plates they create an elevated dish! You MUST VISIT when you’re in Auckland!

I haven’t been to this restaurant for quite a while, and honestly the quality doesn’t feel the same as before. The food used to be more flavorful and consistent, but this time it was a bit underwhelming. The service was still friendly, and the atmosphere is nice, which I appreciate. I really hope the restaurant can bring back the level it once had, because I used to enjoy coming here a lot. Hopefully things will improve in the future.

Was hoping for a great meal, but it was even better than expected. You get a fine dining feel with great prices. Highly recommend the lamb! The bruschetta, steak, and cauliflower dishes were great too.

Daily Bread is an amazing spot in the city for both food and coffee. We visited on a buzzing Saturday morning, and the place was packed—always a good sign. The selection is impressive, with plenty of options from cabinet food to menu dishes. Our food was tasty, the egg baguette in particular was delicious, and the coffee was solid. No major faults there. The cabinet offerings looked great as well, and I’d definitely be keen to try a salad next time. Service isn’t really the focus here—there’s not much in terms of customer connection, and you go mainly for the food. The online ordering was offline due to the high demand, which is understandable but added to wait times. Staff did well keeping the inside clean, though the outside tables could have used a bit more attention. Overall, a reliable spot for quality food and coffee, even if the customer service side feels minimal.

Located on the waterfront Britomart development, the Daily Bread cafe offers a wonderful experience for good coffee and breakfast favourites! The huge selection of breads and brunch options should satisfy most dinners! The croissant 🥐 is great but not sure about their take on the classic almond croissant, which has been turned into a hazelnut croissant and even one made with chocolate!! Service is friendly and overall a great selection and taste! The general building is beautiful and easy to find! Enjoy your coffee and sweets!!

I went here over the weekend to catch up with some friends, and it turned out to be a nice little spot for a casual meet-up. The atmosphere was cozy and not too loud, which made it easy for us to chat. We ordered a few pastries and they were quite nice fresh and not overly sweet. Nothing too fancy, but it hit the spot. Everything came out quickly and the staff were polite and efficient. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for somewhere simple and comfortable to hang out with friends on the weekend.

It’s a lovely place for breakfast or brunch, with a great selection of pastries that are all fresh and delicious. I tried the croissants, which were buttery and flaky, and the coffee was excellent too. The mocha was rich and smooth, making the whole experience even better.

I was really excited to try a Too Good To Go surprise bag from Daily Bread, especially after seeing others receive a nice variety of pastries and breads. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. My bag contained three identical bread slices and nothing else. This doesn’t feel like a “surprise” or good value, just leftovers without any effort or variety. I love the idea behind reducing food waste, and I expected better from Daily Bread given their usual quality. I hope they take more care in preparing these bags in the future, because this felt quite misleading compared to what customers are shown or expecting. Plus the value of these r lowers than the value listed on the app. I would appreciate if the owners can contact me on dealing with this issue. As i sent email and got no reply.

Daily Bread is a bakery cafe offering bread, pie, deli, coffee, all kinds of Western-style breakfast options. I got myself a Bolognese rosemary mozzarella pie ($10) and iced chocolate ($6). And smh I spent $17. I remembered it clearly iced chocolate is same price as hot chocolate ($6). Maybe it’s an error on the menu since it’s a new item. Who would pay $7 for iced chocolate 🤷. Ordering + Order and pay at the counter. You get your pie immediately. For your drink you will get a table number stand. Now find a seat and wait. Picking your autistic seat + I recommend lower floor seats. Higher floor is too busy, too many sensory inputs. Check my video and photo for the cafe layout. Water & Napkins + Both are self-service. Plus they have $0 soda water. Food - 8.5/10 + Pie is delicious, I love mozzarella. + State the obvious. Iced chocolate is just chocolate with A LOT OF ICE. Who would pay $7 for that. Buy yourself a BUBBLE TEA PLS😭 Service - $7/10 I really want to give this cafe 5 stars. However I couldn’t get over that iced chocolate so 4 stars. 🤓👌 Update: Sep 19 12:25pm I went to this place just to check the menu. And the new menu with iced chocolate item in it is not on the counter anymore. There’s an old menu on the glass cabinet. My conclusion is yep there’s an error in that new menu.

Me and my friend came here for the first time to enjoy a nice meal, the matcha latte was excellent, but the service and food was not good. We repeated ourselves to the servers so many times our order and they kept asking us if we were waiting for anything. We also got 2 sides of hollandaise sauce, the server even asked the chef how much to charge and if they had any. The chef said yes. So charged us $6 for extra hollandaise, the mains came out without the sides of hollandaise we ordered, again I had to repeat myself asking where our hollandaise was. We waited and the server came back with cash and apologised and said they ran out. What a waste of time that was. We spent nearly $93 on our whole meal and the food was disappointing. Bread was dry and hard, eggs plain and pork belly was thin. It was the most basic meal iv ever spent a lot of money on. I left the cafe feeling disappointed and ripped off, didn’t even eat my whole meal because of how disappointing it was. Atmosphere was good, latte was good but food and service a big NO

What a great place to start my day in Auckland with a fresh pie out of the oven. It was delicious and the relish on the side was so good. Super friendly team plus it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy my meal

THE BEST CHEESE SCONE IN ALL OF NEW ZEALAND!!! It’s perfect — not too dry and crumbly but not cakey either; tender yet chewy; loads of cheese in texture and flavour but not overpowering; almost caramelized on top. All of this served toasted with the most amazing whipped brown butter?!?! Heavenly!! The coffee is also wonderful. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. Highly recommend!

We used Scratch Bakers to cater for a small work meeting (under 10 colleagues) and were extremely happy with the delicious food for morning tea, impeccable service (especially when we had an address blip on delivery morning!) and would highly recommend their catering service. I will definitely pop into the bakery / cafe itself for some lunch nibbles sometime soon. Thanks guys, really great food and service!

Come here often for great coffee! The small little prosciutto-truffle croissant is amazing. Would love large version of it. Pistachio croissant was a letdown, taste a bit too much like an artifical flavour. Chocolate cruffin was very nice. The place gets busy but won't let you down. Staff Is pretty onto it!

Best cafe in town by far! Amazing coffee, yummy breakfast, a great looking cabinet of which everything is made on site in the bakery hence the name "Scratch" such a nice atmosphere and the staff are lovely too.

been here few times as lockdown goes longer you try to find new cafes to go saw scratch bakers sounds like a proper bake shop which they somehow make from scratch so it should be fresh so far we have tried the plain and almond croissant, frozen beef cheek pie, steak toastie and ham brioche and their coffees the coffee were good the large size runs small all the croissants disnt taste and looks fresh the frozen pie were good when we heat at home it was moist and had a great flavor. The steak toastie was also good the brioche is a mistake the onion for me was too strong the quality of the brioche was mushy the display area for pastries and donuts looks underwhelming they all look old

We had a catch up coffee during lunchtime at Scratch Bakers in the city and I was immediately impressed by how stunning the wooden concrete interiors were with a very urban chic feel to the establishment. The espresso was impressive that a had a couple of soy lattes and a hazelnut double chocolate meringue which was fudgey, chewy and so chocolatey. Simply divine coffee experience that warrants a lunching experience next time!

Nice little vegan bakery that is good enough to fool any non vegan. They have a wide variety of sweet and savoury options. They have some basic outdoor seating I loved everything, highly recommend the biscoff cheesecake!

The best! Absolutely delicious. We dont live in Auckland anymore but everytime we are here we come straight to Tart Bakery and visit multiple times. Sandwiches are great and doughnuts. Croissants are a personal favorite though.

Wow! I was super impressed by the beautiful food that was on offer at this small vegan bakery. I’ve heard about them,( good things) and I travelled especially to try the vegan pies. I had the chicken and mushroom and I have to say, not being a pie eater especially, I was wowed by it. Beautiful pastry, flavour and texture. However, my eyes also went straight to the sweet cabinet and I purchased an almond croissant. I took that away with me for my coffee in the afternoon and I found myself eating the whole thing! It was so delicious. Again, texture, flavour on a level of fantastic combination and balance. If you were French you would not know there was no butter in it! I went back at the end of my weekend and purchased another almond croissant to take back to Wellington where I live. I highly recommend this bakery for quality food, extremely tasteful and really lovely customer service. It would be my daily go to if I lived in Grey Lynn . Can’t recommend the food highly enough!

We tried the chicken and mushroom, Spanish, and tofu pies for breakfast. The chicken pie was really nice and quite unique because they marinated the chicken, making it soft, unlike the typical chicken pie.

One of the best vegan spots in all of New Zealand! It has such an amazing range of cakes, pastrys and sandwiches! The Biscoff Cookie Croissant is honestly one for the tastiest things I've ever eaten in my life and I can't stop thinking about it! Definitely a must-go-to place when you're passing through Auckland!!

I had a pie filled with mushrooms and vegan chicken — it was so delicious! My husband tried the Frankfurter sausage and he was enthusiastic about it as well. The staff are so friendly. Thank you so much for being here🫶🏽

We stopped here on a whim and were SO GLAD WE DID! The vegan pies were just phenomenal. We ordered the chicken and mushroom, mince, and lentil and korma pies along with a ginger crunch bar and could’ve easily ordered two or three more of each. Would love to stop here again (and again!) on our road trip.

Bakery cabinet is very good and lots of yummy options. Kitchen food going out quickly but I’m not a fan of food decoration. Cafe on the other hand is a big let down. Drinks came to table when we nearly finish our food. Smoothie and iced coffee tasted like they’ve been blended in the same jug and not very fresh ingredients.

Love the decor and ambience of the cafe. The coffee was good and also the cream brûlée donut! We tried two dishes from the food menu (crispy corn fritter and Eton mess), not quite like them, sorry. However, the cabinet foods look great and We will come back to try out. Thank you.

Very busy place. The cabinet food always run out quickly. Decent coffee. Enjoy the cafe setting and decorations. Love to come back more often. Managed to sample few varieties of dishes. Good family place to hang out. This cafe advertised as children friendly. I do not see many toys or any playground for young children to enjoy.

This is one of our favourite cafes! Although the menu changes seasonally, the food is always great. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the coffee is great. Part of the same group as Melba, B & B is worth the drive and the money. There’s also fresh bread and baked goods available in the cabinet. Personal recommendation: try the house hash brown!

As a Portuguese expat in New Zealand, I obviously had to taste the Portuguese tarts on display in the cabinet. I was impressed with their quality, but did find the dough was not as light and crispy as back home. Still good, nonetheless! The coffee is delicious and note that if you order a large flat white, you get it in a bowl! For the main, I had the crispy corn fritters and boy was I impressed! Don't be fooled by the photo where all you see is the scrumptious scrambled eggs. The fritters underneath managed to stay crisp all the way through to my last bite. The middle Eastern flavors were the icing on the cake. In addition, for a full house, the service sure was not delayed and was done with a smile on their faces. Well done!

Great looking place with a good variety of delicious breads and sweet stuff which seems to be all prepped & cooked on site. Service was pleasant enough but they seem to congregate more around the person making the coffee then servicing the tables. Coffee was good, we ordered the big breakfast meal but felt the price we paid and what was offered was a little underwhelming compared to what we have been used too. We got in early and saw how busy this place can get, it caters as a sit down cafe as well as a takeaway bakery.

We found Bread & Butter to be a super-vibrant eatery in the heart of Grey Lynn; an awesome selection in every department from sweet to savoury, a brunch menu full of temptations. It really felt like a bustling eatery and authentic bakery. The staff we encountered were friendly and genuinely cared about our experience. For example we found the base on our chicken pie slightly undercooked, and when passing on that feedback it was taken in good spirits the way it had been intended. But the food apart from that quibble was beyond stellar; the big “Baker’s Breakfast” one of the best versions I Can remember. The sausage was well appointed, seasoned and cooked, while the fresh toasted bread from their kitchen really lifted the whole plate. The custard tarts on the counter were too tempting to pass up so I had one of those, while my partner had his creamy chicken pie and his own indulgence of both an apple juice and and iced chocolate, served in pretty mason glassware. Given the selection and how warm and pleasant the whole experience was, I have no hesitation to say I hope to return in future when next visiting Auckland.

#French cafe# The coffee was rich and enjoyable, but the pastries were disappointing. The croissant was soft instead of crisp, and the mousse cake, though well-layered with a nicely balanced cherry filling, didn’t taste very fresh. Hopefully, the café can reheat pastries before serving to maintain better quality.

La Petite Fourchette at the Viaduct is my absolute favorite spot for a morning coffee, and for good reason! The atmosphere has a truly special French feel that is both authentic and welcoming. The coffee is consistently great, and their selection of delicacies is simply divine – a perfect treat to start the day. What truly makes this place stand out, though, is the wonderfully friendly staff. Their warm service always makes you feel welcome and is guaranteed to brighten your morning.

Accidentally discovered this unique artistic bakery cafe yesterday. Came back today by myself for my feast. Impressed by the look of the pie, more impressed by the unique pastry taste. There’s no oily buttery feels, but nicely balanced of flaky crust. Detailed mousse cake with very unique and details taste. I love strong latte. This place gonna be my top spot to chill from now on. More selections in the morning, after lunch, it’s coffee n cake time. Just like me. My emptied plates proved my reviews 🥰🥰

I wonder if the staff would take issue with a customer reasonably using the restroom, and whether such an attitude could affect the café itself as the cost. The café is beautifully designed, and the hot chocolate I ordered was delicious. I ordered HC first, then I used the bathroom. I was inside for less than ten minutes, but the staff knocked on the door three times without responding to my reply, continuing to knock as if they didn’t hear me. I also overheard them questioning whether I had ordered— which I had. When I came out, I stayed polite and ordered a latte for my friend; it was noticeably cooler than the first drink. A polite explanation or a clear restroom policy would make this lovely café much more welcoming. Perhaps rudeness is not the right way to address a problem. The screenshots showed the time

Brought my friend from Australia here — Olaf’s is always a solid choice. Mt Eden is easy to walk around, and it’s just a nice area to chill. We grabbed coffee and pastries, then popped over to Time Out Bookstore nearby. Such a cute little shop, super friendly vibe, and fun to browse. Great morning spot!

The food selection, quality and general vibe of Olaf was different from what I remember it use to be when it was first open. We went fairly early therefore a lot of things in the cabinet were not on display yet and the items for the menu were quite limiting. My croissant was pretty good. My mom said she enjoyed her dish, price wise it is the usual Mt eden village price point.

After climbing one tree hill, we decided to find a brunch. Finally we chose this restaurant, it was a good choice.

It's definitely going through a bit of change. I'm not a regular (don't live in the area), but that's how obvious it is. Customer service was abysmal compared to before - no greeting, no offer of menu, and there's no pricing anywhere. The decor was still the same, but it didn't have that warm, "quaint" cafe feel to it any more. Ordered a "peanut brownie" cake(?) in the display cabinet, and a long black. The cake was dry and close to the consistency of a biscotti. Long black was fine, but it would be pretty bad to mess up a long black when there's no queue. I noticed there was stain at the bottom of the cup, and on the saucer. And the two items cost about $15 (it was like $15.18 because of credit card and paywave surcharge)

My friend and I had a catch up lunch here on her recommendation. Ordered the French toast because I was in a brekkie sort of mood. I enjoyed my meal but wasn't a fan of the sugar coating on the brioche toast. I also got the mushroom empanada to take home (and I can report that it was complete deliciousness). Order at the till and your meal (if dining in) will be brought to your table. I really wanted to get the freshly baked bread to take home but will do this next time for sure. Great location and seating is available indoors and outdoors.

Olaf's Artisan Bakery Cafe is a solid choice for a quick and tasty meal. Overall the food was good, although the portions were on the smaller side for the price. As a bakery, I was also a bit disappointed that the meals didn't include more bread. However, these minor issues were easily overlooked due to the overall high quality of the meal. I tried the Gourmet Breakfast and paired it with an oat flat white, both of which were very tasty. The oat flat white, in particular, was creamy and smooth. While Olaf's may not offer the best value for money, the quality of the food and drinks more than make up for it. I would definitely recommend giving this bakery cafe a try and look forward to returning in the future.

Busy spot on a Saturday morning but worth the effort. Service was good and we didn't have to wait long for our meals or coffee. Bit of a diy assembly job for the smelt bagel but that's no biggie. Our group of four were all pleased with meals.

We ordered a Saint Honore cake for a family gathering, and the whole family loved it. The cake was not only beautifully designed, but the flavours were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious treat for any occasion. We'll definitely be coming back for more!

Absolutely divine sweets and pastries at this French café in Parnell. A bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for the quality and flavour. I’ve bought cakes from here a few times and they’ve always been a hit, everyone loved them! Their mini desserts are also a favourite of mine so beautifully made and delicious.

Our team attended Sonia’s pasty class for layered cakes which was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely and Sonia’s incredibly knowledgeable. We all learnt great tips and techniques to take back to our workplace along with our lovely layered cakes to share with our loved ones. Thanks Sonia! We will be back again.

We ordered online "saint honore" for $72.00 This French birthday cake has one size only. The cake looked beautiful, fresh, and so delicious. We called them before we picked it up, and the staff made it packed in the box already for us. The location of the shop is in the small street, luckily they have 5 minutes park area so easily for us to got the car.

This is my "To go to" place for Birthday Cakes. The Zora cake is my favourite. Not too sweet. Tastes divine, can easily eat 2 or 3 slices at a time it's so good. The quality & artistry is 5 Star. It's easy to order online, pickup is seamless...

First time to visit Vaniye, I'll be a regular now. This is one of the rare places in Auckland here you can find the best bread, croissants and cakes.

Got a steak and cheese potato top pie for $8.30. Pie was piping hot with great gravy, big pieces of steak, a generous amount of smooth well seasoned potato and cheese that you can actually taste! Left with a full warm belly, Perfect for the miserable rainy days 😋 will definitely be back to try more of the huge variety offered

My detour go to for 'treat day' when working my FRIYAY in the office. Great & tasty variety, the steak roll hits so gud🙌🏽 This plc holds fond & warm memories. My Youngin' days😊 this was my parents go to for the freshly baked breads after Sunday mass in the cbd💞

Found hide jade from Kingston, Auckland. It was pouring rainy day but many people came. Impressed of their veriety choices. Kind of big portion for one and prices were not too bad. Highly recommend.

Awesome variety unfortunately, the food we ordered was overhyped, overrated and overpriced. Ordered the Chicken/bacon/mushroom potato top (best seller), pulled pork pie, steak and cheese potato top, Pumpkin/Ginger soup, seafood chowder, Mini bacon/egg quiche, cream donuts and Mocha frappe + mango smoothie. The seafood chowder was disgusting. It came out with a film on it, as if microwaved and straight to the table. It was FULL of chunks of veges (pumpkin, corn, carrots, peas etc) and seafood was almost non existent. I found 4 pieces of Mussel (made up 1 whole mussel) and 2 tiny shrimp. We took it home thinking we’d eat it when starving but ended up throwing it away. The chicken/bacon/mushroom pie was the nicest thing we ate but I couldn’t find mushroom. Pulled pork pie was dark orange in colour and didn’t taste like you’d expect for pulled pork. Mini quiches were fine, nothing special. Only get the pumpkin soup if you like Ginger as the Ginger was overpowering (I liked the soup). The first Mocha frappe I ordered was really nice and the lady was really friendly/smiley and attentive despite it being lunch rush hour. After the rush, I ordered another to take away from another server and it was the complete opposite, no smile, wasn’t friendly and she seemed annoyed when putting the transaction through. I said thank you and she just looked away while yelling my order across the room. When it came it didn’t taste the same, was bland, had more coffee in it and less chocolate. It’s Sad - the level of service differs amongst staff, food is overpriced (spent $93 for WHAT) and overall inconsistency in quality. Hardly any parking but that was the least of my concern after the above. This place was recommended but I won’t be recommending to anyone!

The spinach and feta filo was extraordinary. The filling was incredible 10/10. Mince and cheese pie was beautiful too, lovely buttery pastry 9/10 Coffee was also very good 10/10 Matcha latte was 8/10 Strawberry cream donut was beautiful but too big for us, so that’s a plus for someone else! I know i know the queue on the road to get parking let alone the queue inside tells you this is not a bakery this is a amazing one! Love the vibe and the staff I just dont really get the food. Everything is slightly too fancy for me and the sausage rolls taste amazing but the proportion of wayyy too much meat in way too little pastry just isn't me. The pies are amazing and they have a great range and if your a bakery person or a pie person it definitely should be in the list of top 20 bakerys in auckland!

I grew up in Kingsland and loved Connors Bakery like so many locals but this was my first visit to The Bakers Cottage - and it didn't disappoint! I brought two gourmet potato top pies and two huge donuts for about $27. The first potato top pie was fantastic - great pastry and tasty filling - and the cream and apple donuts were amazing too (but not like the Connor Bakery donuts) but the highlight was the meatball potato top pie which the friendly lady at the store recommended to me! Again beautiful pastry, and tasty meatballs together with the rich tomato sauce and melted cheese make this wonderful pie top three pies I've ever enjoyed! I'll be back for more, there's so much to love about the great pies and donuts they create here🥳

I visited Auckland for a short trip and this place was on my visiting lists for bakery. I’m so happy I got to visit their bakery, their pastries are amazing. Coffee and hot chai latte are great. Would definitely come back here. Just one thing off, I ordered a plain SD but got a sesame one instead - still good tho. Just wish that I could try the regular one.

Tried panettone which is definitely delicious and the best. Canele is nice too with crispy crust outside and soft fill-in. Asparagus roll is a new taste. It is a pity that we didn’t buy their pie, and will try pies next time . Seats available outside

A very low-key bakery, so understated you can hardly find its sign. yet it’s truly a hidden gem in Auckland. The canelé caught my eye first: beautifully shaped, with a slightly caramelized, crisp exterior and a springy, custardy interior. It’s hands down the best canelé I’ve had in Auckland , no competition! The baguette, humble at first glance, reveals real craftsmanship: a fragrant, crackly crust and a soft, airy crumb. It easily ranks among the top-tier baguettes in the city. The staff were also wonderfully friendly. When I asked if I could take some photos, they welcomed it with a warm smile.

Great little bakery. We stopped in for coffee and a pie and then took a walk down to the water to enjoy them. Pies were delicious, the pastry was flakey and buttery and the filling was hot and so tasty. Will definitely be back.

We were lucky to stumble on this corner cafe/bakery on our lunch hour. The toasted samdwich was pretty much perfect, very balanced flavours and perfect golden crust, with bread baked on site. Coffee was also delicious. The serving staff were very friendly and attentive. A bit pricey but worth it. Relaxed jazz music set the atmosphere just right.

Great Food, lovely barista and baker. Second time visiting and still a great 5/5. The upstairs has tables and chairs for more seating. Really recommend the sandwiches, Florets seem to switch them up time to time but never disappoints! Also, pet friendly so bring your animal friends too!! 🐾

My favorite place to buy Bread in Auckland, New Zealand & Australasia <3 I love the Oat sourdough (tasty and soft) Thanks for having great bread and friendly staff! I would love to see more vegan options when you can pleeeeese ;) (The bread is vegan but other than that only one cookie and a sandwich to choose from food-wise) Luckily I like the oat bread enough to just eat it straight and without toppings :D There is also an upstairs area which I didn't realise when I originally found this place so check that out too.

Florets is a fav spot in Auckland city. Very calm & friendly vibe—Maya is always happy to chat which is so lovely. I like the dedicated retail from local makers too. If you need a recommendation: always grab a chocolate rye cookie! P.S. if you don’t know already, there is more seating upstairs!

Probably the best bakery in Auckland if you are after quality organic ingredients with European style approach. Their whole wheat focaccia is beautiful and the selection of sandwiches.

This is the cleanest food place I have ever seen in my life. The vibration frequency emitted by the staff is very high. I would come here often if I lived nearby. It is definitely suitable for working, reading and enjoying life time comfortably.

The ambience of the place is amazing and takes you to a place where you could just sit back and relax. The food was on point. Mezze for Two was fresh and bread soft and hot. Dips were also amazing. Chicken with rice and 3 other sides were also succulent. We also ordered the non alcoholic sodas which were a 7/10. They could have had a bit more flavour in them but they did compliment the food. Portion sizes are a little disappointing in comparison to the price one pays. Staff though were all really good and very welcoming, and interacted with us to make sure we were comfortable with everything.

A large, spacious, and bright restaurant with an amazing and lovely atmosphere. We were looking for halal breakfast and found this place just two minutes' walk from our hotel. We ordered two types of eggs with falafel. The place is clean, and the staff are friendly and cheerful. I highly recommend it. I’m from Bahrain (a country from the Arabian Gulf).

Excellent restaurant in the heart of downtown Auckland. Amazing food - I had bharat spiced chicken, and halloumi, followed by their hot cross bun pudding. Mains come with various sides. The chef/owner is very proud of her restaurant, and rightly so. Highly recommended - it's worth buying their recipe book. Oh, and dependent on availability, the hot cross buns are incredible - they use the same recipe in the pudding.

A Cozy Experience at Ima Cuisine… Ima Cuisine is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm, cozy vibe and lovely lighting set the perfect mood for dinner. We started with the mezze platter…The pillowy, fresh pita paired beautifully with the creamy hummus, smoky baba ganoush, and smooth labneh. The pickled veggies added the perfect punch, and the falafel was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside—some of the best falafels I’ve had in a while. For mains, we shared the halloumi and chicken along with a variety of sides. I’m already planning my next visit—especially during the day so I can have their famous hot cross buns! If you're looking for comforting, authentic Middle Eastern flavours in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, Ima Cuisine is a must-visit. Highly recommend :)

Catroux has a decent selection available from their menu or their cabinet. Service was pretty good considering how busy it was when we arrived. We ordered their smoked salmon bagel and their mince and cheese pie (from the cabinet) for a quick bite in the morning. We also got some mochas (we also wanted a vanilla latte, but they didn’t have syrups, which surprised us), but the mochas were good. The pie had a great crust. The mince had more of a Mexican-style flavour, which wasn’t quite what I expected, as I was hoping for a more traditional gravy style, but it was still enjoyable. The smoked salmon bagel had nice ingredients that I think complemented each other nicely. The salmon stood out as the clear leader, but not overpowering, as it can often be.

I had the Fitness Bowl ($28) and Tumeric Glow smoothie ($12.50). Was it worth it for a $40 meal? No. Firstly, it took forever to order, it is a busy place but the service was good. My Fitness Bowl was missing the tahini yoghurt, which was needed to bring the whole meal together and poached egg was over-cooked. It was a hard boil egg, so the meal was very dry….and there was no seasoning. Add the chewy dry halumi….the Fitness bowl was a disappointment. The Tumeric Glow smoothie was a yellow coconut, banana milkshake. It was thin and I could not taste the mango and passionfruit …which was the main reason why I ordered it. I feel that due to the place being so busy, there was a lack of attention to what was being prepared, put together and served. The only thing that had to be cooked was the poached egg…which was an utter fail.

This was our first time here on the suggestion from a friend. The cafe is rather intimate and clean but quite noisy due to the large crowds both seated and those in the long queue. That made it very hard to have a contact the table, especially if one of the group speaks quietly. The staff seem quiet friendly even under stress. Our elderly friend loved her wee cake, my husband liked the quiche but I tried to like it but not really. Next time I’ll choose something from the delicious looking cake section. The negative thing from our first visit here was my coffee was completely forgotten and we had to ask twice if it was coming. We were asked what size we had ordered (what?) and it did arrive in less than 3 minutes after this question. Sadly I didn’t enjoy it at all as the coffee tasted burnt and bitter so I couldn’t drink it. My husband did as he said, “it’s paid for and I’m not wasting it!” The prices are quite reasonable. We will go back just to see if our experience can be improved, fingers crossed it will be.

Tried the Salmon with Beetroot salad, it was mind-blowing delicious. The Aubergine Mushroom Feta dish was excellent too. Coffee could be better but hey the food was so good that this is me being extremely picky. 100% recommend

I’ve tried many French bakeries in Auckland, but this place has the most authentic baguette, just like the ones in France. The crust is perfectly crispy, while the inside is soft and airy. Nowhere else comes close to this quality. All their breads are delicious, but I highly recommend the baguette!

The best bakery in Auckland! The texture of the salmon croissant is really delicious—it's not sweet, crispy, and soft in the center. We bought chocolate éclairs, coffee éclairs, Le Brie de Meaux, and coffee for breakfast for three people. I highly recommend trying the coffee éclairs. I will definitely go there again!

Hands down the best bread in NZ! The baguette is incredible. Just make sure to go in the morning before everything sells out. Staff are mostly great—if everyone was super friendly, this place would be flawless.

Had high hopes, arrive at 830am. Ordered mince and cheese pie and a scallops and prawn Mince filling and texture was excellent 5/5, unfortunately warm and uncomfortable to eat. Scallop and prawn was horrible and potato texture was sandy, very fishy and stale unedible, could not have more than a mouth fill , felt as if it had been in pie warmer for days. Pastry on top was excellent and nice base. A big selection of pies.. Very sad start of the morning

Went there on one October weekend. This best pie award winning shop offered a variety of pies and pastries, plus other baked products on display. Coffee and drinks are also available. Service was fast. Ordered steak and cheese and reuben pies for dine in. Orders are usually for take out as there are few seats.

Found this beautiful pie place, and tried their wagyu red curry pie 🥧the size of pie was big, they do have a a large variety of pie, you can always go for regular ones like mince and cheese and they are phenomenal as well… once you enter the shop you’ll be greeted with number of awards frame on wall, and giving you a brief idea that the pie are gonna be better…i tried some sweet delicacy like pistachio filled donut but sadly it was too cold and i couldn’t taste it any better…

I was quite disappointed with my recent experience. The food served was not adequately warm, which was unexpected considering I spent around $60. When I brought this to the attention of the sales assistant, the food was simply reheated but still not sufficiently hot. For the price and standard expected, the quality and service were below expectations. I hope the management can look into maintaining better consistency in food temperature and customer service.

I recently tried the Tiramisu Cake Jar from Bluebells Cakery, and it was absolutely delicious! The cake was fresh, rich, and perfectly balanced with flavors. The bakery itself is very nice, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. What I loved most is the variety they offer – from cheesecakes and muffins to macarons, pastries, and these amazing cake jars. There are so many tempting options to choose from, and everything looks so fresh and inviting. Definitely a place worth visiting if you have a sweet tooth. Highly recommend the tiramisu cake jar!

How good! Love the range of cup cakes and a key is to order online ahead of time including their cake sample box - a slice from each of their top cakes. Gluten free options taste great. Friendly staff. Definitely returning ...they also do a take away high tea set up. Great for mums day.

Probably one of the worst cake i had. While he sponge cake base was ok the glazing on the top was sooo sweet and taste cheap aspartame with odd texture... none of the guest finished their slice, finished in the bin. Change your pastry chef..

I gotta say, this store is just awesome. The decor is all pink and super cute, and the cakes are just bursting with color and flavor. I grabbed some macarons and cupcakes for a family get-together, and let me tell you, they were a hit with everyone, kids and grown-ups alike. They really topped off our dinner perfectly. Can't wait to swing by again and enjoy some coffee and more of those amazing cakes. Oh, and shoutout to the waiter who was super nice and helpful during my visit.

Lovely cupcakes. My favourite is the banana it is so moist and delicious and I appreciate that they aren’t too sweet. The icing to cake ratio is just right and they make a lovely gift because they are so pretty. I would also like to say that I had very nice and friendly service from the blonde girl with glasses. She was chatty and friendly even during a rush and her coffee was delicious. She was caring and explained each flavour to me. Thank you for the lovely service and I look forward to returning soon!

As a tourist, my sister and I were looking for some cute cake options for our family’s bday. So pleased to have come across this shop on google with their great selection of cakes and cupcakes. Their food is perfect (the selection that we tried wasn’t too sweet and had a great taste). & to top it off we received such welcoming and friendly service which definitely made this place a must visit. Will definitely buy again during our trips to Auckland.

I went here for breakfast today and it was super packed. Luckily, I only had to queue for about 20 minutes, which seemed reasonable for a Saturday. I ordered the banana pastry and the maple glaze monkey bread—both were flaky, buttery, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the iced matcha latte was the downside of my experience. While the flavor was good, the cup was about 3/4 filled with ice (as shown in my photo), and the actual drink was gone in just a few sips. It felt like a total rip-off and left me quite disappointed. Overall, great pastries but the iced drinks could use less ice! I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Prepare yourself, this place gets busy, but for a completely understandable reason 💖 This cafe is BRILLIANT. There is a cabinet filled with some of the most gorgeous pastries that are consistently being restocked through the morning. My partner and I shared the pistachio croissant, black sesame croissant and the focaccia Reuben sandwich. Each of these were toasted and filled to the brim with their respective fillings. For the amount of orders ahead of us our order came relatively fast **cheers to the hardworking barista ✨ Their coffee was easy and smooth and their earl grey matcha was delightful (as opposed to a different review, I would say my matcha came with the perfect amount of ice) We will most certainly be back! - Note: there is limited indoor seating but plenty of areas to perch on outside

One of our favourite, go-to spots in the city! It's always super busy whenever we go, so we often have to queue for a while and finding a free table can be a challenge, but for us it's still worth the wait and visit. I have a love/hate relationship with the bacon and egg bap. Crappy bacon, egg yolk everywhere, crumbly bun. Not at Mibu. It was perfect. Brioche bun, perfectly scrambled egg and amazing chutney. And great coffee. Super fast and friendly service. Highly recommend.

Im a regular here and the pastries are always on point! They chnage it up quite often so great variety. I often find the coffee, especially the iced, kind of weak so always get an extra shot. Service is fine but the vibes of the place are great. Cool interior and decor.

Picking the 3 flavours for our 3-tiered wedding cake was the most difficult part! I was gifted a cake kit and have been hooked ever since. Their cake kits are absolutely amazing and have never failed me. I've tried almost all of their cake kits (haven't tried the new banana one yet). Recently ordered a black forest cake for a birthday and picked it up from the store. Beautiful cake, was a bit on the dense side but still a fantastic cake. None of the cakes have ever been overly sweet, always balanced just right. Highly recommend getting their cake kits and trying a few of their cakes. Will definitely be buying more cake kits soon!

Beautiful cake for my son’s birthday. Price was good. Got the chocolate banana one. Not as sweet as I would like it. But these cakes are way better than super market cakes. My wedding cake banquet was absolutely delicious and looked amazing. I didn’t give too much of a brief as to what I wanted because when people who work magic are left to have creative licence over what they do best it is always bound to turn out epic. When I collected the cakes the person at the front desk was so joyful & I was so thrilled with how it looked I don’t know who had the bigger smile! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for adding to our big day in so many ways. Our guests raved about the cakes too.

OMG ordered a cake from here for my own birthday and it was absolutely DeLish. This lemon and raspberry cake was to die for as it was sooo yummmmmyyy and decorated so gorgeously. I would highly recommend this place and definitely will order from here again to try other flavours.

Its pretty dam fabulous! Have ordered a number of times from The Caker and it never disappoints. We could not even tell the difference between the gluten free and non gluten free cakes. So delicious, there was barely any left overs! You won't be disappointed - just remember to go for their decorations though, as it just tops off the look!

Wild Wheat in Mount Eden might be one of the best bakeries I’ve ever visited. The sausage roll was the best I’ve ever had, the sandwiches were spectacular, and everything on offer was simply outstanding. The service was warm and genuine, matching the quality of the food. No hyperbole: this place is incredible.

My first visit here and definitely not my last! The staff were so friendly and welcoming when I needed help with recommendations. When the slicing machine accidentally cut a few pieces off my sourdough, they generously offered me a free loaf which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. The sourdough itself is honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. I’ll absolutely be coming back and have already recommended this place to family and friends, it’s well worth it!

The ‘Monthly Special’ black lentil sourdough is really nice. I also like that the air bubbles in the Wild Wheat bread are small, making it easier to use.

Love Wild Wheat - their breads are always so fresh, almond croissant top notch and coffee always hits the spot. I always come back to get sourdough, foccacia and so many more. Favourite place - that even if we moved further away, this is still our go to place.

Onehunga is quickly becoming 'more than your average food' suburb. Stroll along Onehunga mall and you'll see lots of great options to choose from. The pho was bold and beef was generously given. The noodles had a bite and not mushy. The banh mi was served in a crispy french style bread. Pork was tasty and slightly smokey.

I dropped into Mr. T's for coffee recently. Lots of customers were there at 9.30 am on a Saturday which gave me the impression they were regular visitors. The trim flat white was good. Definitely going back. I didn't have food. Will rate next time.

Ordered Bahn mi $17 + med flat white $5.50. The bun was warm & crispy & it was tasty but not mind blowing like I thought it might do for that price. If you don't like chilli make sure to tell them as I wasn't asked & chilli was included which I can handle btw. Atmosphere was beautiful for 9.30 Sat morning & not too busy. Only waited 10 mins for food & service was great. Had coffee in about 3 mins & it was great. The bahn mi is pricey and I won't return in a hurry to pay that price for one but you pay more for good quality which they definitely deliver on.

The Pho soup tasted very meaty, long hour slow cooked stock. Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng was full of flavor, well balanced between different vegetable and grilled pork. The place is very close to Dressmart. When you are here for shopping, don't miss this one.

Been to Fort Green twice, located on K-Road. Discovered in 2023 while browsing one morning before an event, and visited again in 2024 when in Auckland as the last leg of my journey. Great service and friendly staff, great location, and great food both times! Always seems to be well populated with diners, and probably one of my first overall choices.

Good coffee, two days in a row, and great pastries on day two - a hot cross bun for Easter, a cruffin and a pain au chocolate. Great. Nice buzz and friendly atmosphere.

Come for the Ruben Sandwich and stay for the coffee/pastry combo. A friendly cafe with an excellent choice of delicious breakfast bites and good quality coffee. Only minor issue is the few dubious people whom roam the area. However, I assume where the government has failed, the local business owners have stepped up by employing a security company.

We were really looking forward to these pies after reading all the good reviews, but they were a huge letdown. Both the steak and cheese, and the mince and cheese pies were really bland, the filling was a weird, pale color with a strange gelatinous texture. Didn't notice any cheese, and the pastry was undercooked and soggy. The butter chicken pie was also gelatinous, lacked that butter chicken flavour, it just tasted bland and overly sweet. We couldn't even finish them, straight into the bin they went :(

We LOVE this bakery so so much. The danishes are next level amazing, the donuts are delicious, so many pie flavours (loads of vegan options too) and they are always hot and delicious. But bacon and egg sandwich is my absolute favourite. Everything is always fresh and made with care. Coffee and food is consistently good. AND THEY ARE SO NICE!! I take my son in sometimes after football and the owner always asks how his game went. They are a lovely bunch making lovely food.

My partner and I decided to give Rollers a go today, just after 12pm on Saturday. Quite a busy time, despite that, this bakery still had a lot of items. All we brought from there was a Steak & Cheese and a Bacon & Egg pie, fair price for this day and age. Thoughts are, If you're looking for a solid classic Steak and Cheese pie, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a dfferent/New experience on a steak and cheese pie this is for you, it has a very...different taste. Not good or bad just not up my alley. Hence why I didn't enjoy it at all. And I smash back steak and cheese pies any day. Now, if you're looking for a Classic bacon and egg pie with the usual suspects (Bacon, Egg, cheese) this also isn't for you it's a..different approach to a bacon and egg pie if you love tomato relish & spinach this is all you. Overall experience of service was a little lacking. I will be fair due to the time frame we went as it was very busy & I can understand having one person busy up front and a lot of customers and having the need to rush people out, doesn't leave much time to browse as I would have gotten something else if I wasn't made to feel rushed. Hands down one of the best pie places in Auckland. Visited randomly on our way up north, had the Steak, bacon jam + cheese pies. So delicious, great filling and beautiful pastry! Had to visit again and try their desserts too, which were also amazing! Will have to re-visit next time we're in NZ!

Not your normal bakery. It does things with a twist, so if you’re after a normal kiwi pie, it might not be for you. Donuts are the highlight of the place. Staff on the front counter could be a little happier.

So good!! Just diagnosed with Coeliac so my friend bought me here. Got a gf donut. Maybe the best donut I’ve ever had. Also got a latte that was really good. Something to note is it has really minimal seating.

My go to spot in Rosedale, I usually pop in for a coffee or a matcha, and my partner a chai latte. I love popping in on the off chance, that I'm in the area. The service is always so good and so friendly, no awkward silences! ....Wow honestly, I don't know how I stayed away from temptation so long. It's kind of overwhelming, trying to decide what to order; when everything in the cabinet looks this drool worthy. You can tell that everything is baked with passion and love! From the donuts to the slices, the savoury pie warmer too! There's plenty of variety, if you want savoury or sweet, they've got all your options covered. If you're as indecisive as me however, you'll be umming your way through your order. But it's worth it! If you're looking for a sweet/savoury treat, pick me up and a caffeine hit. Wen & Yen is your go to! Personal recommendation: Try the chai or the matcha with coconut milk.

Coeliac friendly food. Sweet treats and pies are great. Change up the flavors regularly so good variety. Great treat after a game of footy! Range of normal baked foods as well. Coffee is some of the best I've had!

First time here to try it out and was not disappointed. Steak and Cheese pie was amazing. Tender, juicy steak pieces and the cheese added that extra flavour to it. The Cookies and Cream, Caramel Slice and Caramilk Tart were delicious. Not too sweet, not too bland. The fact that it’s also Gluten Free is an added bonus for those with intolerances or Coeliac. Favourite was definitely the Caramel Slice. Reminds me of a giant Toffee Pop. Glad to have made the trip from Hamilton and will do so again. (Sorry, no photos of the pie as I had already eaten it beforehand.) Edit: Just realised that the photos didn’t load at the time so have now added the slices and the crumble.

If you find yourself searching for a shop helping with food for those with dietary restrictions and you need gluten free donuts 🍩 or a pie 🥧 and more, then you’ll find this little shop to be quite a place for it. Excellent food and very good coffee ☕️ with parking right in front makes it a really good and easy meeting spot.

Found this gem today and got three of their gluten free goodies. They were supreme. Such excitement (as a coeliac on strict gluten free diet) to explore the sheer variety and then actually eating the excellent TREATS. If you’re reading this, do yourself a favour and try them.

We had great lattes and really yummy pastries - both savoury and sweet. The scones are really popular and sell out really fast. There were many other pastries which looked delicious and the varieties were always changing. Will definitely pop by again. The double rainbow outside the cafe was a bonus!

Tried the almond croissant, tiramisu cake, and a long black—everything was excellent! The almond croissant was beautifully flaky with a rich filling inside, not too sweet and really satisfying. The tiramisu cake was light yet indulgent, with just the right balance of coffee, cream, and sponge. The long black paired perfectly—smooth, strong, and well-brewed. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re after quality pastries, cakes, and coffee.

#neighbourhood cafe# A warm neighbourhood café with friendly staff. I like the scones more than the bread pudding, which is quite ordinary. Maybe next time I’ll try the pastry that looks crispy.

This place must be super popular cause by the time I got there around 11:30 a.m most of the bread was already gone. Grabbed a croissant and a pain au chocolat. the croissant was big, buttery, and sooo good. The pain au chocolat could use a bit more chocolate, but the pastry itself was really tasty. The bakery’s pretty small, so finding a seat isn’t the easiest. Definitely wanna come back and try their other stuff.

Tried to love it… but just not for me I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but after giving Fankery three chances, I think it’s fair to share my experience. I really wanted to like it, especially with all the hype! But it’s just been disappointing each time, especially considering how pricey it is for what you get. The first time I tried to buy a mochi cake but they were all sold out, so I got the cookies instead. Sadly, they were a bit salty and soggy, I couldn’t finish them with my friend. The second try was at a pop-up event, I grabbed a cheesecake this time. It was definitely better than the cookies, but still a really small portion for the price, and honestly nothing that stood out compared to what you can get over in Melbourne. The third go was at a Twentea event. Twentea drink was actually really nice, but the bubble tea mochi cake from Fankery didn’t hit the mark. The pearls were okay, but the mochi itself was hard and didn’t taste fresh, probably because I bought it later in the day. Even my boyfriend was let down, and he usually enjoys this kind of thing. Overall, I gave it a fair go, three separate tries but the mochi cakes just didn’t live up to the hype for me. They’re quite expensive for a single slice, especially when you compare them to Aussie dessert spots. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be checking out the newly opened store for a fourth try. 🥺

Tried Fankery for the first time. The Yuzu Matcha Tart was delicious, with a great balance of citrus and earthy matcha flavours. It’s a bit pricey for the size ($12), but the quality makes it worth trying.

The cakes were terrible, we couldn't finish them. We bought matcha and Uber flavor. It cost $22.50 for a quarter, $45 for just half of 4 inch cake! and they tasted terrible!!! You could clearly taste the flavoring and chemical notes. The mochi wasn't even made from real sticky rice flour! it had the right texture but tasted awful. It seemed like it was made from regular rice flour or tapioca flour. Additionally, I texted on Instagram and didn't receive a polite reply. It was awful experience. Cheap quality but expensive price.

Food: Got the Taro Crepe Cake and the Yuzu coffee. Yuzu Coffee (1/5) ($8): After tasting the coffee I felt like it could be colder because it had a lukewarm temperature which was kinda weird as I was expecting it to be 100% cold, The flavour of the coffee was okay but wouldn't get it again (I wouldn't mix yuzu and coffee together, not really my kinda taste). Taro Crepe Cake (3/5) ($22): We chose the crepe cake instead of the normal cheesecake as the cheesecake looked way too small for the price its going for ($22 per slice). The size of the crepe cake is pretty okay and the taste it was actually not bad not gonna lie, I could taste every layer and it was not too sweet for adults which is a pretty good thing if you like not too sweet desserts. The mochi layer was pretty thin but it wasn't hard at all, it still had the bounciness of mochi we were expecting. Price point : The Crepe Cake was pretty good overall, but the price($22) is another thing due to the other competitors around New Market which also sells sliced cakes but at a reasonable $12 - 15 per slice. Theres also a dessert shop right next to their shop that sells premium desserts at a reasonable price to portion/quality ratio so its kinda high competition. Store vibes: Kinda tripped at the entrance due to a step I didn't realise (maybe put a non-slip caution tape around the step drop so people can notice the step). The store was small so it felt kinda cramped. overall the store and its decorations looked really nice despite the size. Cutlery: No cutlery provided so we had to wait until we went home to eat the cake, which was kinda weird because usually places that offer takeout give complementary cutlery. It would be nice if they offered a bag to carry the cake aswell. Final thoughts: After trying Fankery, for me personally it feels like this is a "yeahhhhh nahh" kinda store in which its a try one time just because of all the social media hype around it, but not come back again as a return customer.

My partner and I came here on a weekend because I had been nagging him to try after all the rave reviews I heard. We got an original cheesecake and a salted caramel tart. The cheesecake itself was nice however its chocolate base tasted slightly burnt as well as being very difficult to cut through and chew due to it being so dense. The salted caramel tart was more of a let down as both me and my partner felt it lacked any flavour and we couldn’t taste the salted caramel at all. We felt for the price it definitely was not what we expected. I don’t know if today was an off day but we wouldn’t order what we ordered again. The staff were kind and talkative so that was nice :).

Ordered the crepe slices and absolutely enjoyed it. Appreciate the intricacy and hard work that goes into creating the different layers, flavour and texture. If you’re a baker, you’ll know it is not an easy task. I’ll pay again any day for the crepe cake slices.

Everything about their cheesecakes is just amazing!! Perfect ratio of Cheesecake, Mochi filling and Brownie😍 every flavour I’ve tried has been so delicious and full of flavour in their own way! It’s hard to pick a top favourite!! In need to get my hands on the rest of their products!

It's always a treat to visit this cafe. Beautifull presentation makes it very hard to choose which delicious morsels to try. We went for a Caramelized onion and Feta Tart and a Raspberry and coconut scone. The tart was served with a small salad and was so delicious! We liked the scone but it was a bit crumbly to eat. Coffee was great, hot and strong. I will return.

All the evil treats are right here. I am instantly happy even just looking at them. The taste of their goodies is always the best.

Staff were super friendly and good service. Coffee from eight thirty was great - both the long black and flat white. Interior was spacious with high celinings and nicely decorated white interior throughout. When we visited there was only a small selection of goods compared to other Little and Friday branches, but understandable as they had a notice to say they were short staffed. Staff did really well despite being short staffed. Would like to experience again once staffing is better.

I have mixed feelings about this place currently - the food is amazing and great options for cabinet food. But the service or arrogant and sometimes almost rude. Also can be really slow - 20mins for a takeaway coffee when there’s 8 people in the cafe? Have to be careful because there’s so many good cafe options in Taka - sure, your food is great, but ditch the attitude

Came here for the first time after the belmont store closed down. I got a BLAT and it was delicious. Want to go back for the desserts. The staff was friendly too :)

As a longtime devotee of Little & Friday, I recently had the pleasure of visiting their new location, and I'm thrilled to report that they've maintained their reputation for delectable treats and charming ambiance. While they've expanded to a new spot, the heart and soul of Little & Friday remain the same. Cinnamon Donut (5/5): Ah, the Cinnamon Donut! It's been a long-standing love affair, and I'm pleased to report that this classic treat remains as irresistible as ever. The donut is perfectly fried to a golden brown, achieving that ideal balance of crispiness on the outside and softness on the inside.

We love the pain au chocolat as we purchase them weekly frozen in the grocery store. Unfortunately, I must say that I am getting disappointed with the size of the mini pain au chocolat - they are getting smaller and smaller portions each time we buy them. Please go back to the original size, I'd rather pay more and get the size they use to be.

We ordered some items online and had it delivered. The Almond croissant and the danishes were ready to bake so we just put them in the oven to cook. Both were quite nice. The danishes were got quite crispy and flaky. We also got ready to rise croissants and pan au chocolat. We put them in an over the night before and cooked it the next morning. The croissants were quite bready and not really flakey. The Pan au chocolat was better with the chocolate and crispy pastry.

We buy the family sized Quiche Lorraine in bulk, and keep them in the freezer for those meals when we can't be bothered to cook. Absolutely the BEST quality quiches and literally jam packed with ham. The most authentic delicious french Quiche Lorraine that you will find on the market. I buy in bulk direct from the factory and pick up myself. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Have tried many of their other products, and all are truly amazing.

We love everything we've ordered from PFB! We placed a Christmas order of frozen goodies, although their courier totally messed up several people's orders, they rang every customer personally, replaced the frozen items and the staff hand delivered them Christmas Eve! We were so impressed at their proactive and generous nature! PFB goodies were the star of the show on Christmas day! Those Christmas mince/almond croissants are amazing!!!

We ordered online and it was delivered fast even during lockdown. The sourdough is the best, it seemed to last for ages in the fridge (for toast). We have a person in the household who is carb intolerant but NEVER has a problem with the Panteton bread, perhaps due to the lack of extra additives.

Tasty as products and pretty much everything made by them is sold & eaten fresh 😊 Try is guys, Chocolate Croissant is my favourite especially when it's hot out of the oven 🤙🏼 The owners are lovely too ✅

Very delicious pastry!

I got the bird bowl, which I am not much of a fan of. The only nice thing I like about it is the roasted Kumara and salad. My friend got the banana mochi waffle, which we were surprised by. The mochi is part of the waffle. We thought it would be separate. My friend really enjoyed it. We also got the hot chocolate- raw cacao mug. You get to choose what milk you want it with, oat, almond or hazelnut. Overall service was good and the meals came out quickly. I would say the price is a bit on the high end though so I guess this place would be a nice place to treat yourself once in awhile.

Some of the drinks had unique, almost weird flavor combos—but in a surprisingly good way. The smoothie was refreshing and just the right kind of thick. 🌈 The food was colourful, creative, and plated like art. If you’re open to trying something new, this place is worth the curiosity. Plant-based never looked this vibrant!

I love this cafe sooo much. If you go there you must try the iced coffee shake and the bird bowl. The cheesecake is so delicious. Service is always amazing, the girls are super nice and friendly. A little bit pricey but it’s definitely worth it. Update: still love this place but unfortunately they changed the bird bowl, this one is not as good as the other one, nothing special about it, flavours are not as good. I wouldn’t order it again.

What can I say? It’s not always easy to find healthy plant-based spots, but this one truly has it all. Along with the friendly staff and quick preparation, I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. If you’re looking to treat yourself and your body to something good after a workout, Little Bird Kitchen is always a winner. Every time I’m in Auckland, I make sure to stop by and take a little break from everyday life! 🥰

Always wanted to visit this great Cafe and finally did. Fantastic food bursting with flavour, good generous portions and lots to choose from. Staff were excellent. Will definitely return.

Lovely little cafe with an impressive selection of plant based cakes and sweets, while also serving lunches with full table service. I will be honest, I really did not enjoy my food at all, but the way the staff handled that was amazing. They inquired as to why to understand, made me feel comfortable about being honest and didn’t charge me. I couldn’t eat it so appreciated it. I will be back to try other items as I love creative vegan food but found specifically the Vietnamese Crepe to be extremely unbalanced. It had so many bitter and astringent elements and the texture was rough and stringy with an occasional mouthful of pickled carrot batons or cashew, none of which I was fond of. The pancake itself was almost more like injera in a Vietnamese style. I love injera and traditional Vietnamese pancakes - but this did not work for me. All the same - I will be back. I really appreciated the staff and options in general.

Few weeks ago found Mint Cakery and have since tried beef cheese pie, both flavours of sausage roll,cinnamon scroll and hot chocolate. in my 20plus years of traveling around Auckland and trying local cafe food this is by far the best place the food and service is the best quality around. Seriously the food has come from Heaven!

The lemon and boysenberry cake I got for my mums 65th was outstanding. I had so many people come up and ask where it was from and say how amazing it was. Highly recommend

Came after watching Michelle on Tik Tok and purchasing her recipe book quite some time back. Her cakes are just as amazing as they look. The hot chocolate was really nice with that chocolate marshmallow! Loveeeeed that lemon curd cake .. soooooooo good !!!!! Would definitely come back for more. We live in the UK, our daughter in Auckland as she was celebrating her special birthday with friends I wanted a cake for them all so I emailed Sam at Mint Cakery who happily obliged with an amazing lemon and boysenberry cake delivered on time with no dramas. Zoe was thrilled with her surprise and loved by her friends too. Perfect in every way. Recommend them every time for service, delicious cakes and lovely Sam.

Dropped into Mint Cakery because I stumbled upon their new cookbook at paper plus this week, and thought I had to try it out before buying the book. Wasn’t disappointed. Cinnamon bun was really great - super moist with a generous amount of cream cheese frosting. The gluten free chocolate raspberry cake was just as good. Haven’t tried the donut yet, but I’m sure it will be amazing. Thanks guys!

Great food but budget coffee brand. Was my daily stop for a morning coffee and snack until the one day I dared turn up 2 minutes before opening time and gingerly knocked on the door wondering if they'd be interested in making me a coffee 2 minutes before the official opening. I was caught well off guard by the angry and rude staff member who informed me they weren't open. I went back to my car which by then there was 60 seconds until opening time, it felt too awkward to go back again, she obviously wasn't in the mood to serve people, so rather than bother her I went elsewhere and have never been back. You can't talk to your daily customers like that and expect them to return. I made a poor judgement call thinking you'd be OK to serve a coffee 2 minutes before opening. If you don't like your job or can't act civil to the people paying your salary, probably time you moved on.

Always loved Doe Donuts. Coolest branding, best flavours and nicest owners. Picked up 15 today for a client meeting and the clients loved them. They did a special hot cross bun flavour for Easter a few years back and it was amazing too.

Alas, things have changed since my review below as Doe has new owners. The monthly specials do not seem to change online anymore and the DOE Points program seems to have been suspended (picture). Passing by the Grey Lynn location doesn't work well anymore, because they are sold out early. I love pistachio, so thought I'd try the Pistachio Bliss. The donut was nice enough as an ordinary donut, but there was no taste of pistachio. The green filling was more of a custard, without any significant taste to it. What I got was not what is advertised (pictures) So, the jury is out. I will try again in a few months, hoping that things are better. Gourmet donuts, filled with fresh high quality ingredients that are a treat to eat. Monthly specials bring variation across the year. The owners and staff are friendly and offer great service. Look online and visit one of their two locations. You won't be disappointed!

The Tiramisu donut was epic, best donut I've had for ages! Lovely place, great service and friendly staff, nice vibe and the music was 🔥 highly recommended - I'll be back!

Got donuts delivered years ago and the pinky bar donut had grainy caramel and the chocolate ‘ganache’ topping tasted very compound chocolate-like. The bread was nice though. I honestly can’t remember what other flavours I ordered because I only cared about the pinky bar donut, but they must’ve tasted ok. Nothing too memorable

Believe the hype about this place. While it's far out of the way for me, I made the trek in to get some donuts. I probably went a bit too late (it was around noon) but they still had some good ones left. I got two donuts to share: tropical and caramilk. I had half of each and enjoyed them both (though they were a bit messy). The actual dough is quite nice compared to the cheaper donuts you would get elsewhere, so I'd say they're worth the cost. The staff in the store were friendly.

These are donuts made for people who love donuts, by people who love donuts. The FLAVOURS. THE TOPPINGS. THE SIZE. They do not skimp on anything. Often when eating a donut, I am happy with the flavour but wish it had more of the filling, or more of the topping or icing - this is not the case with Doe. They properly fill with delicious flavours and textures, and toppings that are not just visually pretty but delicious. The flavours are creative and not limited to just “classic” donut flavours. Some of my favourites are lemon meringue, key lime pie, pavlova, pinky, s’mores, passionfruit, strawberries & cream, Black Forest, white chocolate raspberry (I could go on and on and on….) I have yet to try one I didn’t like, and I am keen to keep trying them all. These aren’t just thrown together and dished out. You can tell the flavours are carefully planned and each donut artfully put together so that it looks as good as it tastes (which is amazing.) I’ve been going to Doe since shortly after opening in Grey Lynn and I’ve talked so much about them, that my friends halfway across the world knew it would be a perfect birthday gift to surprise me with last year. I was over the moon! Doe is, without a doubt, my favourite donut shop in Auckland! If you like donuts and haven’t tried yet, you simply must as soon as possible. You might think they’re a bit more expensive than other donuts, but when you try them you’ll see where that money goes and that it’s well spent. Trust me, you’ll be glad.

Unfortunately there are new owners here and these are not the same Doe Doughnuts they used to be. Same price but reduced in size. I will say, the taste was ok. The store tidiness and cleanliness is a concern.

This popular bakery has a great variety of breads and pastries. Unfortunately it is Remuera pricing so be prepared. $35.40 for the selection in the photo. A spinach quiche, a pear Danish and two medium hot drinks (one half drunk 😉).

Such a cute bakery with everything you could want coffee, fresh bread, deli foods or a sweet treat. The customer service was a 10/10 even playing music we recommended. Staff was friendly and efficient I couldn’t recommend this cafe more!

The cafe is so pretentious and overrated. Knew someone who worked there and was told that they were underpaid whilst working there?!! Like c'mon, this is Remuera and all their food that they served were typical Remuera pricing. The boss is rude to their workers but the husband is quite sweet. The food is bland, the overuse of icing sugar on the almond croissants does not do s*** but the bread is decent. However, I would not go back for the whole experience. Such a shame...

Remuera's best bakery. Great bread. Rye bread on Saturday. They'll slice for you. Expect lots of choices here.

The most pretentious cafe for miles around. The lady that owns the place is rude to her staff and had clearly never worked in hospitality before being given the store. The coffee is bland, the pastries are plain and overpriced. The garlic bread was the worst I’ve ever had, it felt like the whole thing was stored in oil overnight. And my god, the music. This place is just a terrible experience all round, avoid at all costs.

Could have chosen any of these as the selection is quite unique. However, I chose these two. - Belgian chocolate custard 7.5/10 Sort of tasted and had consistency of a chocolate yogurt, not as sweet as what I had in mind. Donut was still so fresh, and I brought this at 3 pm. - Vanilla peanut custard 8/10 Mellow peanut through the vanilla, an also really fresh, custard this was my favorite out of the two.

One of my favourite doughnut places, if only they have one closer to home! Plenty of different flavour options but you can't beat a vanilla custard, although the passionfruit curd comes a close second. The doughnut is light and fluffy and not overly sweet, even with a sweet filling. Highly recommend!

Grownup Donuts is a neat little spot to source delicious sweet donut treats in the Henderson area. The donuts are always fresh, made with very high quality ingredients, and are perfect as a snack, dessert or to enjoy alongside your favorite hot beverage after a long day. There's a wide variety of flavours to choose from and the fillings and toppings are generous. These really hit the spot and are so delicious that one is never enough. My personal favorites include the Belgian Chocolate flavour donuts, the Butterscotch flavour donuts, and Lemon curd flavour donuts. Treat yourself to some Grownup Donuts, you won't regret it. My first time visiting the Henderson and it exceeded all expectations. Grownup Donuts use no artificial ingredients and you can taste the difference, literally so light and fluffy. I went for the vanilla custard and can hand on heart say I’ve never had a donut that good. There were three vegan options which seemed really popular with other customers, highly recommend trying. Located in the corner near the bedpost, there you can find a new donut crave in the north shore community. Donut taste so good, the fluffiness is just perfect, like how the korean fried donuts are. If you’re looking for something new and freshly baked goodies, this is something you should look up for.

Ordered cupcakes for a friend in the hospital and Brian nicely gave me these 2 cupcakes to try. I love that the Double Chocolate cupcake was not overly sweet and it’s dark chocolate too which i truly love. The Matcha Christmas cupcake was surprisingly complementing with the strawberry jam. Can’t wait to have them again! 🤤 Great service and yummy cupcakes! Highly recommend!

This is a cute little cake and flowers shop. They have a large variety of cakes and cupcakes. Although the day I visited the shop there was nothing much left but that was on me because I visited just half an hour before the shop closes and that too on a weekend! So, everything was pretty much sold out. I bought two of their cupcakes, one was rose & pistachio and the other one was vanilla & raspberry. Let me tell you both were awesome! You could literally taste the rose and the pistachios and the same with the other one. Their hot chocolate was also decent. A must try place.

Just came through and their cupcakes are amazing, I love how subtle the flavour is of the icing … not too overpowering. It’s definitely very filling and the service was great too! Had a great convo and would I definitely come back.

This Bakery caters for all occasions! My go to sugar rush fix. My favoured products are the 18 assorted flavoured maccarons and 12 assorted flavoured cup cakes. I’m salivating as I write each delectable morsel is flavoured, created and packaged to perfection. Once tasted that feel good feeling is satisfied. Relocated to Williamson Ave Ponsonby an amazingly sophisticated larger space with the most amazing customer service, online ordering available. Most Definitely “WORTH” the work out later!

Pies here are typically really good - well filled with excellent pastry. So was disappointed with today's choice of pork belly with apple. It was full of the fat of the pork belly with only one tiny piece of meat. I picked all the fat out and ate the rest of the pie but obviously left hungry and disatisfied. Won't choose that pie again and wouldn't recommend it.

I’m usually not a pie person, but this one really surprised me, it was so good! The crust was perfectly crisp and the filling generous. I actually came here because a friend recommended it, and judging by how many people were lining up, it’s clearly a popular spot. And honestly, everything we ordered turned out really delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

I bought two Steak and Cheese pies hoping for a tasty meal, but I was really disappointed. The pies were extremely salty—so much so that I couldn’t taste anything else. The flavor of the beef and cheese was completely overpowered by the salt. I tried to finish one just because I had paid for it, but I had to throw the second one away. Honestly, it felt like a waste of money, especially considering the high price. I’m not sure if it was a one-time mistake or if the recipe is just off, but based on this experience, I definitely won’t be buying again. I hope the shop takes this feedback seriously and reconsiders the seasoning.

Very busy Bakery when I came here, and I can see why. Accolades all over the wall, very similar to dairy flat Bakery and euro passterie torbay. However, the variety of pies here are very different. Normally, I'm a mince and cheese guy, but today, I wanted to try something different. - Braised pork belly and spiced apple pie 5/10 Absolutely unique combination, sliced apple, mustard seeds? Ok. Pork was nice, and It had a but of spice, but I did ask for something different. Not for me, but I'm sure someone loves this. - Salted caramel chocolate cake 9.7/10 This was banging. Moist cake and the salted caramel sauce is really amazing. Small slice for the price, but this was brilliant if you're a fan salted caramel fan. The owner (I think) must be a stand-up comedian at the weekend. What a crack up human being, actually a funny guy.

A lot of choices here, from slice, sandwich, cake, tart, bread, donut cookies and of course ... pie. I bought "stake and cheese" and "bacon and egg" pies, both of which are so tasty. As well as castor twist, very delicious treat for afternoon tea. 😋

The food at the restaurant was undeniably good, offering a pleasant culinary experience. However, I was really looking forward to enjoying the dumplings at home, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. As I unpacked them, I discovered a hair in the food. This was quite off-putting and definitely affected my appetite. I hope the restaurant can improve their food preparation hygiene. During our visit, two waitresses were speaking very loudly, creating a disruptive environment. Their conversation sounded like a heated argument, which significantly detracted from the tranquility one expects in a dining establishment. Furthermore, a notable inconvenience was the complete absence of a toilet facility within the restaurant, which is a significant oversight for any public establishment serving food. While the quality of the food was commendable, the negative aspects of the service and the lack of essential amenities made for a less than ideal experience.

Eden Noodles is a popular Chinese cheap eats restaurant in Auckland. They serve a variety of Chinese food, with a focus on Sichuan cuisine. I ordered Spicy beef with potato on rice ($15.5). Ordering + Order and pay at the counter first. Picking your autistic seat + Staff pick it for you, fat chance it won’t screw you up. You can check my photo and video for the restaurant layout. Water & Napkins + Water is self service. + Napkins is on the table. Food - 8/10 + Actually I’ve tried this place twice. First time I ordered Wonton in chicken soup, it was delicious. Second time I ordered Spicy beef with potato on rice, the portion is good, big chunk of meat. The problem is the rice, too mushy and gooey. Flavour is fine, not my favourite. Service - 9/10 + As long as no one interrupts me eating and nothing unhappy happens. That’s already a 9. Good job. Overall I will give this restaurant 5 stars. 🤓👍

I finally checked out this place again.! Let's talk about their Dandan Noodles, because that's where it's at for me. The portion sizes are just very accommodating, they've got S, M, L, and XL. Now being Asian, my brain automatically goes for the M, and trust me it's a perfect satisfying amount. The L? You're gonna be stuffed, like Thanksgiving dinner stuffed. And the XL? Oh boy, that's gotta be the size they feed the All Blacks after a big game! Now listen up spicy lovers! If you're thinking about going for the mild or even the medium spicy, just... don't. Seriously. I went for the medium and it was like a gentle whisper of spicy. If you want that real kick, go straight for the spicy! Trust me on this one. The place itself is pretty popular so be prepared for it to be crowded. It gets quite packed which is a good sign, right? They're definitely kid-friendly and have some highchairs around, so toddlers are good to go. But if you've got a little baby, it might be a bit hectic with the crowds. The staff is super friendly, they move like ninjas! The whole place looked clean when I came, which is a big thumbs up in my book. So yes, Eden Noodles is one of my fav especially that Dandan noodle? chef's kiss....

Eden Noodle serves tasty, comforting noodles with rich and satisfying flavors. You can choose the level of spiciness, type of noodles, and portion size—the spicier it is, the more oil it has. Great spot for a quick and satisfying meal.

We got the most amazing cake for our wedding! The team were so wonderful to deal with straight from the beginning. We had a cake tasting and showed a few inspiration pictures of our dream wedding cake, and when we saw it on the day it was exactly what we wanted! The cake flavours itself were fantastic - we had so many guests comment on how delicious each flavours was. (The raspberry chocolate tier was definitely a favourite!) Would highly recommend Sweet Bites Cakes for any occasion!

This is the third time we ordered cakes from this shop and each cake is a masterpiece and a work of art. Recently had an anime and Japan travel themed set of cakes and desserts curated by Sweet Bites Cakes for a 40th birthday celebration. The cakes and cupcakes were very detailed, and tasted just as well as they looked. Customer service is also top notch, they are a breeze to work with. My top go-to place for birthday cakes! The couple who run the bakery are so friendly and accommodating. The fresh fruit cake is always a crowd pleaser. I highly recommend their pastries and breads as well. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Cute bakery store located in the CBD. I used to come here when I craved for Chinese style buns and cakes. However, when I compare the price and the flavour with other bakeries in the north shore, this place did not stand out at all. The portion is too small with the range of price. But their display is clean and nice.

Update 5/23 very amazing Asian cakes done perfectly with delicious cream!! The largest Chinese bakery I've been to, with a well presented and large variety of breads and goods that my eyes have ever laid upon. The place also smells sweet and carries that authentic Chinese bread smell (if u know, know). Slightly pricey for the portion but definitely a treat yourself moment. They have a wide range of items, all so beautiful and so many taro goodies to choose from!! Ahhh taro paradise. Got a salted matcha red bean, motley taro, taro q polo, taro Filipino (see a slight trend?), green tea choconut. Would love to try their moon cakes next time! And from staff recommendations the Boston milky and savory pork flake bun/roll (which I didn't get since I've had them before from other stores). Speaking of staff, they were super friendly and helpful!! I got an egg tart too (heard good things!). Total came to be 7 items for 27.20, not as bad as I thought, and with such unique items I'm happy to pay the price. Quality wise let's find out. The egg tart had the thickest crust I've ever had, and I kind of liked that, normally used to flaky crusts but I did enjoy the different texture of this. The egg filling was tasty and a good portion. Wasn't too sweet, too eggy or liquid-y. Best I've ever had though? Nah, these are still similar to ones I've had at other bakeries and at yum cha! 3/5 since it didn't quite live up to hype. Salted matcha red bean-a new product, has a faint matcha flavor with red bean swirled throughout. Not bad, but would like a bit more red bean to bring out the flavor. Soft bread, but does not quite melt in the mouth. Did enjoy the matcha essence paired with red bean though! 3/5 Motley taro has a hard doughy swirl layer which was just soft bread, but a generous sweet taro filling which made up for the doughy bread. 3/5 Taro q polo, similar to motley with the same bread taste and filling expect that it had an additional slightly crusted surface. It was slightly crusty but not so much that it brought another interesting texture to the bread. Could've had potential though. Liked more than motley. 3.2/5 Taro Filipino was described to me as a thicker bread, and they were not wrong. However he bread taste has a bit more of a slight hint of cheese (perhaps?) that made it differ slightly from the other soft breads. 3/5 Green tea choconut bread was a bit staler compared to the others, but was made interesting by the green tea layer which was slightly crunchy. The redeeming feature was the choconut filling which was very airy and moussey, sweet and enhanced the bread. 3.5/5 Boston milky describes as slightly cheesecake-y, I didn't know what to expect as to me it looked like a dense boring sponge. Instead I was greeted with a soft bread and a well rationed creamy and sweet yet ever so slightly cheesy filling. Not bad but again, not wowed, it did have the softest bread though. 3.5/5 Would I go again? If I'm really craving Chinese bakery goods then yes, to try more of their items, but otherwise I would probably check out other just as large Chinese bakeries!

I enjoy my meats but this vegan/vegetarian cafe makes really good food and coffee to suit everyone! The cafe is quite small so you may have to sit outside or wait for a table during peak hours. The cold brew coffee is nice as well! Highly recommended!

Found this cafe to take our daughter too being vegan friendly. Such great meals, we all enjoyed the well presented and prepared food. Will be back soon.

I have recently started ordering directly from the midnight baker. I am a big fan of their seeded bread as its gluten free, packed with goodness and very filling so a little goes a long way. I was delighted to find that they have two additional flavours - herb and cinnamon chai. Both are delicious. And I am now a regular for both. My husband is now a midnight baker convert too. We’ll be sticking with their loaves as a household staple. Very good communication and delivery service also.

Probably one of the most distinctive desserts in town. Too bad that you can't get a coffee and take a sit there. The chocolate bomb looked impressive and tasted not bad. It was too big for me... $5.5....

We have been ordering from City Cake for years now. Despite never having met, Tracy is always so accommodating and amazing even during this busy holiday period. I’m sure I changed our order at least three times but her reply was always the same “no problem. All done!”. When we gift these cakes to clients we get nothing but positive feedback about how moist and yummy the cakes are. Give them a go, you won’t regret it.

Such lovely people to deal with. We have dealt with the City Cake company for many years ordering cakes for our staff with major birthdays or personally for family celebrations. They are genuinely interested in assisting you to get exactly what you want. Super helpful and always pleasant. As for the cakes! Oh my goodness, they stand alone in quality. They are rich, moist and decadent. The top feedback from staff is that they love the Chocolate with the Belgium frosting but the Banana with caramel is also a hard one to beat. If you have a special occasion, you can't go past these cakes. We have never been disappointed.

City Cake company was amazing to deal with. I ordered a "one off" celebration cake for my daughter's 30th birthday. I had emailed 5 different cake companies in Auckland and City Cake and only one other replied. I am so happy I chose City Cake Company. Tracy was very prompt and clear in her emails. The cake itself was exquisitely decorated and the flavour of the cake was delicious. I felt it was very well priced and most definitely was one of the highlights of our birthday dinner. I would not hesitate using this company again. Thank you to you all.

TLDR: Good vegan bakery if you're not used to having options, but they could improve their consistency and availability. Service: service was adequate at this location. The staff did not seem very knowledgeable about the product, but they were courteous. Atmosphere: it's takeaway in a nice mall food court setting, so can't judge it harshly. Food: it's always great to have vegan baked goods both salty and sweet. Many flavors were unique and tasty. However, I would encourage the chefs to sit ans try to eat a whole one of any item and not just taste. The richness and sweetness of many of the items about halfway through made us want to give up. The savory pocket was a nice break in between, but think the sweetness can be toned down a touch.

Tart bakery is a vegan’s dream come true! We got the pizza, pain au chocolat, chocolate topped doughnut, and oat flat whites. Everything was incredibly delicious! This is the best vegan bakery I’ve ever been to.
