Giapo, located on Queen Street, is not your average ice cream parlour. It offers a modern twist on traditional and adventurous flavors of handmade ice cream, gelato, and sorbet. The brainchild of Head Chef Gianpaolo Grazioli, Giapo has evolved from a colorful dessert store into an ultra-luxurious eatery that serves premium and creative fusions of innovative flavors and toppings.
Best ice cream in New Zealand. Get the chocolate coated cone if you are a chocolate lover and you will be blown away. I had the white chocolate with hazelnuts and it really was a decadent experience. Large bench outside for you to enjoy your dessert

The ice cream here is very delicious. There are a sample the flavors before choosing, The ice cream was yummm but a bit sweet in some flavors. Must try when you come to Auckland🍦
Belle B — Google review
Was initially shocked at the prices of their specialty cones but now that I’ve tasted the quality I think it would be worth the splurge if you were sharing. The service was amazing. The lady was very patient with me when I tried a few flavours. I treated myself to a large cup with 3 flavours as they were just soooo good!! The kumera (and orange?) one was the highlight. I recon it might just be the best ice cream I’ve ever had (I’ve had a lot haha) Will definitely be back!!! See picture; Top left- kumera and orange i believe Top right- their homemade version of kinder Bueno Bottom middle- mascarpone and Nutella Also it’s ALL GLUTEN FREE This doesn’t apply to me but I thought that was really cool. Definitely doesn’t affect quality/flavour

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Lots of flavours to choose from and you get to taste them before you commit. The gelato was tasty but on the sweeter side. The cone was unique, very crispy and had a nice warm, nutty, malty flavour. Very nice space to sit and chill with yummy desserts.

Tried first time at the Diwali Event on Queen’s street. Highly recommended 😋😋 Rasmalai and Mascarpone ice cream = pure bliss! 🤩🥰 Already craving more! 😋 5 stars!
Shubham K — Google review
Delicious ice cream, served in cups or fanciful cones, along with a few bakery items, in a dedicated gluten-free facility, so perfect for people who have Celiac. The seating is tight, and pigeons hunt for scraps, but there are water spray bottles to ward off the pigeons if necessary (not an issue while we were there). A regular sized cup with two flavors was NZD $9.50 when we visited on a weekend in October 2025. The Waitemata (aka Britomart) Station is a couple of blocks away, so if you drive you might want to park in their car park, since there isn't much parking on the busy city street where the ice cream shop is located.

Giapo is an experience! They have wide variety of ice cream flavors. Its my first time in Auckland of course I had to get the World Famous Hokey Pokey. Guess what? It did not disappoint! Its world famous for a reason! If you’re unsure what to get, they’ll let you try any flavor, just ask! There were types of cones you can choose from which they make for you upon ordering. You just have to wait for at least 5 minutes (depends on the line of course). I got my hokey pokey ice cream partnered with a warm brookie ❤️ it was so good! Its something I’ll miss! Looking forward now to my next visit to Auckland!

Tried the Squid cone (Mascarpone + Nutella flavour) and the broken cone Rabri ice cream. Though a bit expensive the flavours were great, and the customer service was outstanding.

Miann Britomart is a dessert haven with three locations to satisfy your cravings. The desserts are not only visually appealing but also bursting with flavor, unlike some five-star hotel pastries that may look good but lack taste. The space is small yet charming, offering a delectable array of desserts including macarons and ice creams that are not overly sweet. It's the perfect spot to indulge in fancy-looking treats while enjoying a cozy atmosphere with friends or alone.
Absolutely delicious! Both kids and adults love the treats on offer here. So much variety 😍 ice creams, macaroons, decadent desserts and chocolate like you've never seen before 🍫 The place has a steady flow of customers. The staff were lovely. Cute set up for dining in - you can takeaway if you like 👍 I couldn't decide what to try so had the tasting platter. It was delicious 😋 I'll be back for sure

Absolutely amazing all of it the service, the atmosphere and the food! I am from South Auckland and I travelled the distance just to try it and did not disappoint! Highly recommend the short bread cookies they crumble perfectly in your mouth. My favourite out of the 4 items I purchased was the cheesecake the whole thing was delicious. My husband and I will go back again and try the Banoffee pie and creme brûlée. Thank you

Amazing place if you want have some sweet treat. Very well crafted and interesting combinations to try. Perfect spot for having dessert.

One of my favourite cafes in Auckland (this and the factory), especially their cakes. Never had a disappointment on whichever I chose. They had a few discounted products on the weekend that I visited. Happy with the taste and the comfortable atmosphere.
Rukia K — Google review
We went for a little drive to the city to end our dinner with some yummy dessert. I told my nieces to surprise me as we were celebrating my early birthday and they chose the tasting platter. I only ate two and took the rest home but my two faves were the lemon meringue tart and the banoffee. The girls all had ice cream and they loved it. Lovely way to end the night
Nia T — Google review
Amazing matcha the mont blanc on top was absolutely yum. Will definitely come back for more. The strawberry jelly underneath was a sweet kick that did not appeal to me but the matcha was delish.
Sadia — Google review
I was so happy to find Miann as not many places are open late in the CBD when you are craving a sweet treat. The staff were very friendly even though it was quite busy when we went. They had a wide variety of beautiful looking desserts, ice cream and an amazing hot chocolate selection. We got the dark hot chocolate and the smores hot chocolate. They were both so tasty and rich which is what we wanted. The desserts all contained gelatine and so not many vegetarian options but other than that it was lovely.
Rebecca W — Google review
This is a high end dessert place right easily assessable from the entrance of Britomart train station. I've tried the creme brulee and I must say, it is pretty nice. The serving size for it is good for the price, big enough to be shared between two people (but not too big that I can't have it all to myself). It has a very nice bougie atmosphere and the music thankfully isn't too loud.

I’ve been to this place many times with friends and my boyfriend, and every time I’ve enjoyed delicious desserts and drinks! It’s my favorite chocolate shop 🍫

What an amazing place! Visited The Chocolate Boutique Café on a very wet and rainy day. We loved the warm and cosy atmosphere as well as the hot chocolate and a decadent chocolate waffle. The Black Forest waffle was a first for me, but a must try if you like fruit with your ice-cream. Of course we couldn't leave without taking a few sweet treats home with us. We'll definitely be back for more!
Alice K — Google review
Little chocolate/sweet shops with a menu of desserts and hot drinks. I enjoyed the submarino dark chocolate - not too sweet or synthetic. It was a rainy day so sat indoors but seems they have nice outdoor seating too. They do also sell their hot chocolate powder and a variety of gift chocolates. Nice that it's open late!
TS — Google review
Love love this place! The moment I have tried their hot chocolate, all the other hot chocolate I just noticed it. I especially love the denso range which is the thick hot chocolate. Definitely recommend this place for people with the sweet tooth and love for chocolates! Their cakes and deserts are also too good!
Nidhi C — Google review
Lovely little cafe, will be nice to sit outside in the summer. We visited in autumn so it was a bit chilly outside so sat indoors near the back to see the views. Service was very friendly and prompt. Ordered hot chocolates and desserts, all very yummy, although I would only say I prefer my hot drinks scalding, so wasn't as hot as I usually like but still very delicious.

Awesome place, the food is amazing and people who work there are really nice. Also the atmosphere and decoration is soooo beautiful. I'll definitely go again.

🍫✨ Hidden gem in Parnell! ✨🍫 Customer Service 🧑‍🍳💬 The staff were super friendly and chill—not pushy at all. They gave us space to enjoy our time but were always polite and welcoming. Felt like we were genuinely looked after without being hovered over 👌 Atmosphere 🕯️🍫 This little café is like a cozy hideaway. As soon as you walk in, you're hit with the sweet smell of chocolate 😍 The place is filled with beautiful handmade treats that are fun to browse through. It’s got a warm, romantic vibe—perfect for a quiet date or a solo treat-yourself moment. Food & Drink 🍮☕ The menu? Next level. It was our first time here and my husband tried the butterscotch hot chocolate for the first time... and now he dreams about it every time we have a hot drink 😂 Nothing compares! We shared a dessert that was so romantic and literally melted in our mouths. Sweet, rich, and just perfect 💕 Overall Vibe 🌙💖 This was a spontaneous date night and it turned out to be so worth it. We’ll definitely be back!!! If we could give more than 5 stars, we totally would

From fairy bread to blueberry buttermilk gooey butter cake, they offer an array of unique flavors that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Each season brings new and exciting flavors to try.
This was a great place to get dessert after dinner. They had such interesting flavors. It was hard not to get a sample of every single one of them. Well, my husband like the more traditional flavor is I like the ones that were in the main stream. There’s no place inside, but there is a cute little covered patio outside
Heather A — Google review
I’m a regular here for my pecan butterscotch tub and I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with Duck Island. I’ve encountered this situation twice where there’s literally no butterscotch at all in the tub. Please be generous with the butterscotch! I really didn’t expect a butterscotch ice cream without butterscotch! Please take note. Hopefully, Duck Island will do something about it. Thank you.
Ashwinder K — Google review
There is only an outdoor seating area. It serves the classic flavours as well as some interest exotic flavours. The ice cream have creamy stretchy textures and are quite sweet.
Alice — Google review
One of the best ice creams you can have here. The flavours are awesome. Different than what you would get at other similar ice cream parlours. The best is the ice cream sandwich. Must try. There is outdoor seating area and it is great to sit outside with a cone in winters. The staff is helpful and courteous. We reached close to the closing time but they served is with smile on their face. Of street Parking is available but you will have to find it.

Best icecream ever. Can't believe how amazing this ice cream is. I am going to miss it so much. The ice cream sandwich is next level indulgent, you have to try it.

Five stars alllllllll the way. You will find happiness only inside this shop. Even the vegans can find delightful treats.....

Great range of flavours, and you can get tasters before buying. The ability to buy a single scoop ice cream with two different flavoured half-scoops is fantastic - very generous with the ice cream, would definitely recommend a visit.

Dropped to one star, the staff weren't redpectful in the last two visits. Lower prices but lower quantities. They still charge for Pup-Cup $4 each without even ice-cream. Other ice-cream stores on Ponsonby rd offer Free Ice-cream for your dogs.

Restaurant
Federal Delicatessen is a casual eatery in Auckland that offers New York deli classics like bagels and matzo ball soup. Despite being inspired by New York delis, it manages to stay authentic with its Kiwi take on the concept. The restaurant focuses on serving high-quality New Zealand produce in a casual and unpretentious manner, emphasizing solid flavors over constantly changing menus.
I recently ate at this fantastic American-style diner, and the experience was great! The atmosphere perfectly captures that classic diner vibe, complete with cozy booths and retro décor. It felt like stepping into another world when you walk in. The chicken sandwich with gravy….Absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the chicken skin added extra flavour and a crispiness to the sandwich. The rich, flavorful gravy poured over it took the dish to another level. It’s comfort food at its finest, and I can’t recommend it enough. We also had the lemon meringue pie and it was the type of pie that the more you ate it the better it got. Nice tart flavour! The staff were very friendly and attentive. I recommend this place!
Porsha — Google review
We came and had lunch as part of the “restaurant month” specials. We had the pastrami and PB cookies with ice cream. Also ordered a poutine as we were starving. The vibe is very chill and we sat in the higher chairs in the middle aisle. Our waiter was very hospitable and made us feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend to others, although the number of patrons was already telling on how popular this place is. Thank you for a great time.
Alofa F — Google review
The restaurant is cool, it kinda too me back to NYC but the food was really avarage. The pastrami had no rind, no peppery taste, it cut too thick for pastrami. Fried pickles were good. Did the food make me wanna go back? Probably not. Too avarage and too expensive for what it was.
E R — Google review
Absolute disappointment. Ordered the Meatloaf ($29), fries ($12) and coleslaw.($10) The meatloaf was two thin slices stacked on top of each other (zoom up on the photo, it’s also a small plate), a heap of spinach, gravy and the smallest amount of mustard and cranberries. The dish should have been called “Spinach with a side of Meatloaf”. Daylight robbery for $29! The meatloaf was very tasty though…..but two thin slices….what are you playing at??? The fries were meh…..they were salted and chicken salted….dear I say it, you get better fries at Burger King & KFC. The coleslaw was freshly made but wasn’t tangy…..it just tasted like cabbage and mayo with nuts. New World ($1.99) and KFC ($7) do better coleslaws. Very disappointing as it was a dinner and show night at SkyCity……Federal Deli dampened our night 😒
B R — Google review
We had to wait about 20 minutes for our food, but it was definitely worth it. The meal was filling and delicious, paired with some nice, filtered coffee. The thick, meaty Reuben sandwich really satisfied our hunger. The option to order through the app is also a convenient touch.
Kwee ( — Google review
Tried mussel and pastrami chowder, taste was ok lacked flavour. Service was good but not to be remembered. Other food like chicken sandwich and pancakes are way better.
Rohit B — Google review
Federal Delicatessen is an absolute gem in the heart of Auckland. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the friendliest staff—our waitress in particular was incredibly cheerful, helpful, and attentive, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere right from the start. We did have a small mix-up with our order, but it was handled with such professionalism and generosity. The team not only corrected the order promptly but also kindly let us keep the extra sandwich. That level of service is rare and truly appreciated—it showed genuine care for the customer experience. Now, let’s talk about the food. I ordered the Toasted Reuben, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The pastrami was perfectly seasoned and tender, layered with rich, melty Swiss cheese, and balanced beautifully with tangy sauerkraut—all tucked between slices of perfectly toasted rye. Without exaggeration, it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Every bite was packed with flavour, texture, and that authentic New York-style deli goodness. To top it all off, I had a glass of cider, which was crisp, fresh, and incredibly refreshing—a perfect pairing with the rich, savoury sandwich. The vibe at Fed Deli is cool and nostalgic, blending classic diner charm with modern Kiwi hospitality. Whether you're popping in for a casual lunch or a hearty bite with friends, this place delivers. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-tier comfort food with five-star service.

The house pastrami is a must try. I would come back just for this. The NY cheesecake is rich and tasty too, I love it. On the other hand if you like rich, buttery flavor with a lot of texture I would avoid the griddle cake.

Amano is a trendy Italian restaurant and bakery located in the vibrant Britomart area of downtown Auckland. The restaurant offers a hip, bohemian atmosphere with its wood-and-brick interior. Guests can enjoy locally sourced Italian cuisine prepared from scratch in the open kitchen, featuring fresh produce and expertly made pasta. The adjoining bakery provides an array of pastries, piadinas, and pizza slices to go, along with house sourdough loaves.
Busy place and very popular. Really nice decor. I had no booking but got a table without any wait. It's a great spot. Excellent service! The breakfast menu is interesting, with different options to the usual. Coffee is good. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Auckland.

Definitely a five-star restaurant you should book in advance. We went for lunch at 12 on Saturday and it was almost fully booked. Both the kawahai seafood and the spaghetti pasta were excellent, we finished every bite! For drinks, I highly recommend trying their signature options, whether cold or hot. I’ll definitely be coming back for any occasion.

Nice and cozy restaurant/cafe/bakery spot. Tried out their pasta for lunch. A friend recommended their Scampi pasta and did not regret. We also got their Pappardelle, Lamb Ragu. Decent serving portion. We also checked out their bakery section afterwards and got a Creme Brûlée donut as a sweet treat. The donut was packed with creamy custard inside along with the burnt sugar on the outside which balanced out the sweetness. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting Auckland and looking for a chill place for lunch or dinner.

Been hearing about this place for sometime. So we booked lunch today for a very special occasion. The food indeed was delicious. I got to taste a bit of everyone's order lol. Venue isn't bad at all. Was really busy I can see. A bit crowded for the size and they can spruce the place up a bit in my opinion. After all everyone's paying sort of top dollar. Service was overall good and attentive ... could use a bit more smiles guys. I found corkage fee for bringing your own small birthday day cake a bit over the top especially when we aren't asking for extra plates or cutlery. Going back? For the food...definitely yes. otherwise hmmm...

Wow a real authentic Italian restaurant serving a fantastic menu. The sauces were heavenly and could even meet Michelin standards. The service is perfect and friendly as well as helpful. Atmosphere is like being in Italy 🇮🇹 but we are in 🇳🇿 . Abit pricey but worth every single penny 👌 👌👌👍👍👍

This restaurant more than lives up to all the great reviews. The setting, location, interior, and vibe are perfectly in tune with each other. The food is incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. We had breakfast here, and you could truly say it’s a breakfast for champions! If you’re staying in Auckland, this place is an absolute must-visit.

OMG!!! This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever visited in my life!!! Such a beautiful spacious spot with really tall windows that lits the place with natural sunlight but yet dim to give it this beautiful aesthetic n relaxed feel. They have an open concept kitchen where you could see all those professionals preparing the food 🤩 Menu is limited but from simple classic plates they create an elevated dish! You MUST VISIT when you’re in Auckland!

Excellent food and perfect ambiance. I had the best breakfast Mushroom, sourdough poached egg, Parmesan cheese. Very creamy and delicious. The coffee was fantastic. The only thing that concerned me a bit was they gave me a bar seat and I was sitting in front of the timber column and I saw 3 insects crawling to my plate and I guess it must be from the timber column. I did mention it to the server who said they usually do pest control. I hope they take it seriously. One of the highlights was their bakery next to the restaurant with fantastic croissants and bakery items.

Stunning and authentically French little cafe , friendly staff and delicious pastries. From the simplest but perfectly crafted croissant to the most sophisticated sesame-mango-mousse, everything is handmade and looks fabulous. We truly enjoyed the Noah cake, the Mont-Blanc cake, and the goat cheese quiche. Highly recommend their matcha latte and hot chocolate as well! We will be back!

We ordered a Saint Honore cake for a family gathering, and the whole family loved it. The cake was not only beautifully designed, but the flavours were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious treat for any occasion. We'll definitely be coming back for more!

Absolutely divine sweets and pastries at this French café in Parnell. A bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for the quality and flavour. I’ve bought cakes from here a few times and they’ve always been a hit, everyone loved them! Their mini desserts are also a favourite of mine so beautifully made and delicious.

Our team attended Sonia’s pasty class for layered cakes which was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely and Sonia’s incredibly knowledgeable. We all learnt great tips and techniques to take back to our workplace along with our lovely layered cakes to share with our loved ones. Thanks Sonia! We will be back again.

We ordered online "saint honore" for $72.00 This French birthday cake has one size only. The cake looked beautiful, fresh, and so delicious. We called them before we picked it up, and the staff made it packed in the box already for us. The location of the shop is in the small street, luckily they have 5 minutes park area so easily for us to got the car.

If you're a fan of delightful baked goods, then Little & Friday is a must-visit destination. This charming bakery has made waves with its mouthwatering offerings, from exquisite single-serve cakes to gourmet pies and indulgent doughnuts. Their lemon and coconut cake remains a timeless favorite for many, even after years since first tasting it at their original Belmont café.
Been here or have had food from here a few times. Today we had this bread thing which had rosemary and cheese on top, it was very good. We also had the cinnamon donut and also the banana and caramel cake which was also pretty good. We quite enjoyed their coffee here also. This place is pretty busy, so one thing not so good is that seating are often crowded, so don't always get a place to sit. Also the chairs and tables are not cleaned properly, so one thing that can be improved is probably cleanliness. Otherwise, food here is awesome and I will definitely be back and hopefully they have their famous cream donuts in stock next time.

👍 Great tasty salads. Generous with servings. Light and fluffy lemon cake. Not overly sweet cinnamon scroll. Lovely friendly service from the barrister. Spacious ambiance 👎 Coffee was a little burnt

Nice little cafe for brunch. Lots of selections for cabinet food. Quite pricey, but delicious. Large coffee is very small. I never felt a welcoming from staff. Also, tables are quite messy all the time. They will need to clean the table properly.

A lovely small cafe with paid street parking outside the cafe. Shop owner and staff were super friendly. The cafe specialises in pastry, cake, and bread; no cooked brunches. The quiche and sandwiches, and coffees were excellent. I would love to come back for their sweet pastries.

Nice vibe and so many desserts and pastries in the counter. We picked the doughnut and ordered coffee and chocolate. The doughnut was so filling, the cream and the raspberry sauce match perfectly. Hot chocolate was so great, love how strong the chocolate flavor and creamy.

A friend and I had lunch here after shopping in Newmarket - we were pretty ravenous. We ordered Earl Grey tea, fruit soda, Parmesan and fennel pasta, a savoury scone and a coconut and lemon cake. The cake was very tasty and had a great combination of flavours. The dinosaur toy is their version of an order number. Went here for lunch as I occasionally work in Newmarket and I went well after lunch and my lunch (haloumi sandwich) was discounted, which a nice surprise. Was told about the Foodprint app which tells you where there are food items that need to be sold quickly (usually around closing time) and it's a great bargain and more importantly reducing waste. Sandwich was tasty except for the lettuce - goes a bit weird if you opt to have your sandwich toasted. The raspberry cream doughnut was the highlight for me - super yummy.

We visited Little & Friday over the weekend. There was a lot of parking outside, but as usual for Auckland, not many free spaces. The cafe itself was spacious, clean, and bright. There were lots of free seats, with most people ordering takeaways when we were there around noon. The man who served us was incredibly helpful with describing what was in the cabinet and how best to serve it (e.g., how long to heat it if taking it away). We had a hard time choosing, but ended up having a breakfast focaccia bursting with flavour, a very cheesy croque monsieur, and a light custard/berry pastry. Everything was incredibly delicious and filling. The bread was incredible. Can highly recommend to anyone looking for a chill cafe with delicious food.

Nestled on Wellesley Street in the heart of the CBD, Moustache is a charming little gem that has made a big splash in Auckland's dessert scene. This cozy milk and cookie bar draws inspiration from its namesake lip decoration, offering an array of mouthwatering cookies that evoke nostalgia with every bite. While seating is limited to just a few bar stools, this only adds to its charm—most visitors opt for take-away to enjoy these delightful treats on the go.

Nestled above Durham Lane, Mezze Bar is a charming tapas bar that has been delighting patrons since 1992. With its inviting atmosphere and stunning views of Queen Street through iron-framed windows, it’s the perfect spot for any meal of the day. Guests can enjoy a variety of Mediterranean small plates, including an impressive vegan and vegetarian menu featuring dishes like grilled eggplant stacks and zaatar falafel burgers.
This place had been on my list of places to go to for a while. Finally got around to it yesterday with my wife and we absolutely loved it! My lamb burger was the best lamb I’ve ever had. So soft and flavourful, and surprisingly filling. We really enjoyed the tortillas española and my wife loved her Greek salad. The chicken on it was fantastic. I would absolutely love to come back again and would order the burger again in heart beat!

Comforting food and genuinely kind service We came here for dinner with my grandma, and it turned out to be one of our favorite meals in a while. I had the chicken risotto; the chicken was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. The dish was rich and comforting, just what I was hoping for. My grandma had the lentil soup, and she said it tasted exactly like how it’s made back home in Turkey, which is a huge compliment coming from her, since she’s very picky with food. In fact, she’s been craving that same soup ever since, and we’ll definitely be back for it. A little recommendation would be to add some red chilli flakes /chilli oil for a spice kick for the soup. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure grandma was comfortable, even bringing her hot water (she doesn’t drink tap water), which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was also lovely warm, and relaxed. Would absolutely recommend for both the food and the heartwarming service. 💛

Second trip after a year or two. Fantastic food offered here always a delight. Keep and eye out on the specials board as well as the dessert cabinet. Just make sure you have room left unlike me 😔

I'm sorry to say that the food quality was not worth the $80 we paid for. The Moroccan Lamb Tangine was extremely sour and gave me a tummy ache. I loved how moist the lamb was but the sauce was appalling and I gave it back to the waiter. I tried my friend's Risotto and it tasted like the flour was not cooked properly so it had a gritty floury bitter flavor. I wish that the food didn't taste so bad but unfortunately my honest review was it was not up to par.

I came at 8 pm, bought a banana split waffle. Honestly, it's really not okay, the waffle was not hot and it feels not really good nothing special. I bought a small cake and it tastes just not really good This is the first and last for me. and really NOT RECOMMENDED
Gabriela S — Google review
The waffles were ok. Presentation was a bit poor, especially the chocolate/banana waffles. You couldn't even see the bananas. You'll love it if you have a sweet tooth. It was waaaay too sweet for me. The toilet was disgusting. Men's toilet didn't have a seat, which was not hygienic and made it difficult for my son to use.
Michelle — Google review
I have been to a few dessert places in the past already. I think the waffles here are the best of them all. We had the berry and the s'more waffles. The waffles are crispy and the s'more that I had was fluffy and was really good. However I think their drinks are below average compare to other places like house of chocolate. I had the 70% dark chocolate but it just doesnt feel right. The gimmicky aspect was nice but I think it is lacking in flavour. My partner's ice cream mocha was better but just average. Overall will try other waffles flavour but probably opt for just a plain coffee instead.

It was nice to see this place open on Easter Sunday. There was a variety of options to chose from and the barista was cute and friendly. But after all, this is a 🍨 place, which creates expectations. We picked a vegan chocolate dessert and it was disappointing. Sorry people, this is not how $10 dessert should taste like.

My ultimate favourite dessert spot! Been coming here since I was a little kid, my dad would bring me here and everything’s the same! The fudge cake is my usual go to with a milkshake. Staff is lovely, parking is decent
Mishady K — Google review
Ollies has that old-school vibe that’s hard to come by. While I've heard that it’s changed over time, it’s still made for a fun experience! I came here for the first time with some mates and had a great time. I got the Big Ollie burger, fries, a drink, and a cheese toasty. The burger was delicious; good-quality beef and all the vibes of a proper homemade burger. The cheese toasty was simple, stringy, and satisfying. We were so full from the food that we had to skip dessert unfortunately, but I will have to return to try their famous sundaes and ice creams next time!
Sang K — Google review
I hadn't been here in a while however it still lived up to my expectations. I came for a quick lunch with family and the ice cream here was the best dessert. We ordered nuggets, hot chips, hash browns, and finished off with cookies and cream ice cream. I was glad to see that this place finally has a clean bathroom. The staff were really nice and patient, and there was plenty of street parking available.
Augustine T — Google review
I have been coming to Ollie's for 40 years and in the 40 years. I would have always given it a five stars. But today I was very disappointed getting our regular order of a giant banana split $17.90 and what we received is half the size of the banana split we would normally get. My daughter and I had one small spoon each. I told her to stop, as I wanted to take a photo. What a shame it has come to this. I asked the staff member as I was quite shocked. They've been told to downsize the portions. There's no way you can call that a giant banana split it is now just a regular banana split.
Yvonne P — Google review
They offer a wide range of ice cream flavours, which made it hard to choose in a good way! The prices were reasonable too. I went with a single scoop in a waffle cone and chose Hokey Pokey, a classic New Zealand flavour. It had a smooth vanilla base with crunchy hokey pokey pieces throughout and it’s really delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the overall great experience. Definitely worth a visit!
Kathy — Google review
They are Reliable, they focus on what they do well and they serve quality product. Ollies is still an absolute stalwart in the Auckland scene, so therefore it is no wonder why the restaurants foundations have stood the test of time. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Come to Ollie’s and support a local business.

If you're a fan of matcha, then Tsujiri is an absolute must-visit in Auckland! Established in 1860 during the Edo period in Kyoto, this iconic brand has made its mark globally with its exceptional quality green tea offerings. At Tsujiri, you can indulge in their delightful soft-serve ice cream featuring just two flavors: rich matcha and Hojicha, a roasted Japanese tea that adds a unique twist.
I had Matcha Latte and it is very good 😊 not too sweet like the way I like 👍 the staff is very nice.
Tipper — Google review
The warabi mochi came with sufficient kuromitsu and a scant amount of kinako. Furthermore, it came on a long, shallow dish wih a spoon, very difficult to eat. Bowl or fork please. Just a weird combination of plating/utensil. My wife got shiratama, with similar presentation. Upon eating, the shiratama was hard and dry on the inside. The quality for both sweets does not reflect the price. I lived in Japan for five years and my wife is Japanese, I'd like to think we know what we're talking about. We were so excited to try this on our first time to Auckland city, and the reality did not live up to our expectations. Japanese cuisine is middling in most of the country, and thought Auckland to be our best bet for quality Japanese food. We are, however, both of the opinion it was a bad representation of Japanese sweets, especially considering the legacy of Tsujiri in Kyoto. My wife also commented the frozen mitarashi dango she ate the other day was better, and I would have to agree. On a good note, the iced matcha latte was passable for me, hence the 2 stars. Up your game, please.
Aaron — Google review
I loved Tsujiri so much! The young girl at the counter was helpful and polite! Lovely clean bathroom and ample seating, and my food arrived within 5-10 minutes. I had a matcha milk float and a matcha swiss roll and it was absolutely perfect. By far the best matcha I have ever had!! I would totally recommend going here for a quick stop in for food, a cute lil date or anything really!! Beautiful interior too.

THE SERVICE WAS LIFE CHANGING I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A RESTAURANT NEARLY AD GOOD AS THIS. EVERYONE NEEDS TO COME HERE NOWWWW. Anyways, the shaved ice tasted great with a good balance of matcha and houjicha though the houjicha did taste quite sweet. The warabi mochi coated in matcha gave it a good contrast with the shaved ice. Red bean was also very good, not too sweet and goes really well with the flavours!

CASA DEL GELATO is a fantastic ice cream place in Auckland that offers exceptional value and excellent customer service. Visitors can enjoy delicious bubble tea, reminiscent of the authentic Asian experience. The tea is perfectly balanced, neither too sweet nor overwhelming, complemented by well-prepared boba pearls. This establishment also takes orders for pineapple jam tarts during Chinese New Year, saving customers time and effort. The tarts are divine and simply melt in the mouth.
Every Chinese New Year, I preorder a batch of pineapple jam tarts from the owner James. It's DA BEST and saves me time from making them myself. I'm picky about my pineapple jam tarts but these are divine and melt in the mouth. They get eaten too fast and don't last long in our household.

These extravagant shakes are topped with a variety of treats such as ice cream, waffles, and chocolate.
We had an amazing experience at this place! The wall mural and the pop of colours throughout the place created a beautiful joyful ambience. We first ordered the ‘Fruity Shake’ and look at that beauty! It was not only visually appealing but also tasted real good. We then ordered their Curly Fries, Loaded Chicken Garlic Bread, Creamy Mushroom Chicken Pizza and the Tandoori Paneer Pizza- they were all tasty and were quite filling. We definitely appreciated the healthier twist with oven-baked fries and it was great to know that they make the base fresh on-site. We were amazed by the overall food quality and quantity for the affordable price. Loved this local small business and will continue to visit them and recommend them to our friends! The first dish I tried was the Big Breakfast which I loved! It had thick pieces of bread with perfectly poached eggs which was a fantastic way to start the day! Next up I had the Chicken Salad to try get that healthy balance. I really enjoyed the flavour from the chicken and the salad dressing. I would definitely order this again! For dessert I went a little crazy and got their new Chocolate Shake which was INSANELY GOOD! The Coco Pops added great texture and reminded me of my childhood. If you are looking for a sweet treat Cereal Killa Freak Shakes are a must!! As always I really enjoyed my experience at Cereal Killa Cafe as everyone is so friendly and the vibe is really cool. It was also nice talking to the owner Harry as he explained their goals of providing fresh meals made with healthier ingredients. That was awesome! The place is very unassuming, just squashed in next to a row of shops, and easy to miss. But what an awesome little place! They serve breakfasts starting at $7.50 and lunch. And of course some of the most amazing shakes! Only surpassed by their totally delicious coffee. The gentleman serving the counter is super friendly, and very attentive I will definitely come back again

Cereal Killa Cafe: A Hidden Gem in Auckland is offering amazing food, stellar service, and unbeatable vibes. The shakes are unlike anything you've tasted before, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Highly recommended for a unique dining experience pizza and shakes are must try .

I think this place is overrated from the tiktok videos. The chair was a bit dirty. Staff are friendly but not much attentive. We ordered chocolate mint shake. I was disappointed on the taste of it. The mint taste is not refreshing and there is a bit of after taste maybe the flavor that they use. I like the idea of putting ice cream on top. The sugar candy doesn’t really complement the drink.

Very nice owner and delicious pizza. We saw the buy one get one free offer on the takeout platform last night, but it disappeared today, so we contacted the boss and he was still willing to give us an offer

The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Best available 💯✅

I had previously taken my eldest to Cereal Killa and was very impressed. Today we returned for the legendary shakes and I am sad to say we’re bitterly disappointed. It took just shy of an hour to get 2 shakes and when they arrived they were nothing like described. For $35 for 2 shakes I expected a lot more. It was a vanilla shake with cream, a couple of lollies and a small amount of candy floss on top. I tried to make contact without leaving a negative review but when I called the premises asking to talk or for an email to contact, I was told “oh I’m new” as hung up on me. We will not be returning or recommending.

Offering a range of luxe desserts in the Pavilions at Britomart, Milse is an Auckland dessert bar that is both accessible and pocket-friendly. With flavors balanced and artfully presented, the cafe is a perfect spot to end your evening.
Best place for a cute date! As long as you enjoy delicious sweet treats. They offer a very good selection of picture perfect cabinet food, which you can sit down and enjoy, as well as offering a range of decadent plated puddings, a tasting menu, and scrumptious beverages (my favourite is the salted caramel hot chocolate!). Can't wait to visit again!

My second best dessert location in Auckland... Hard to beat the chocolate Boutique in Parnell. All desserts here are tops, some dine in options but the only issue is the place is so tiny and poorly laid out, but I suspect it's the only way they could do it with the space they hade. Most nights have a line outside but for good reason, worth the wait for sure.
Cass T — Google review
There are dessert places and then there are dessert places....Milse deserves its reputation as the creme de la creme in the Auckland scene for divine desserts. If you have the patience and time, I highly recommend doing the dine in option. While the takeaway desserts are beautifully presented and well balanced (ie not too sweet) for most part, the sit down option is really worth the wait. You get individual plates of desserts that are a taste sensation in itself. A really wonderful experience in terms of food and ambiance. Now the only reason why I didn't rate it 5 stars is simply due to the snooty wait person (the one I am referring to is the 5' one who ate too much desserts and it shows...sorry). If she understood that her job exists because of customers and treat customers with more respect, then this will be the best place in town for a lovely night out.

Very well presented ice cream desserts, the store is busy and small with outdoor seating available. It was packed so we had a milk chocolate cornflakes to take away. I like the flavoring not too sweet but enough to serve my craving. Would love to go back and try other desserts. Recommended.

A unique experience.. Absolutely fantastic menu options! Take your partner for a surprise treat and I bet that you both will have a fantastic experience there.. The ambience is great. Staff are very friendly. You may have to spend a lot of time in deciding which one to go with first. You can’t stop yourself from eating more and forgetting calorie count for a day😉 Absolutely recommended to every dessert lover!

Absolutely amazing! Worth going! Ordered the Pear and Feijoa and it tasted amazing. Great textures and components. Environment was ok as it was a bit small and spacing was tight, but I guess that was just the 'feel' of things. Overall, very good!

It just can’t get better than this. Possibly the best dessert place is auckland. Even though it’s a small little place but the desserts are absolutely divine. Completely Irresistible. The selection is really interesting and tempting. Worth trying for sure.

La Petite Fourchette is an authentic French bakery in central Auckland, owned by Natalie and Romain who have years of experience running successful French patisseries. They started with L'Assiette in Britomart and then La Fourchette in St Heliers before opening La Petite Fourchette. The bakery offers a variety of freshly-baked pastries, breads, quiches, sandwiches, salads, and cakes.
I love visiting this café every weekend—it's far from your typical coffee spot, thanks to the freshly baked goods. The desserts are outstanding, crafted with high-quality ingredients that result in rich, sophisticated flavors and stunning presentations. The open kitchen is impeccably clean, highlighting the chefs' professionalism. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Come in and try it!

#French cafe# The coffee was rich and enjoyable, but the pastries were disappointing. The croissant was soft instead of crisp, and the mousse cake, though well-layered with a nicely balanced cherry filling, didn’t taste very fresh. Hopefully, the café can reheat pastries before serving to maintain better quality.

Lovely slice of France in Auckland cbd. I was half tucking into my delicious chicken and pesto panini when I realised I must take a pic for a review ( sorry about the bad photo skills) very nice cafe, spotlessly clean, nice selection of sandwiches and pastries and also very fine French sweets almost too good to eat. A very warm welcome from the front staff very attentive and chatty. The coffee was very good too . Would definitely be back for more , the pastries were very good 👍👍 we decided to buy more to take home for later which was particularly good for my sugar cravings after dinner 😊 Thanks

La Petite Fourchette at the Viaduct is my absolute favorite spot for a morning coffee, and for good reason! The atmosphere has a truly special French feel that is both authentic and welcoming. The coffee is consistently great, and their selection of delicacies is simply divine – a perfect treat to start the day. What truly makes this place stand out, though, is the wonderfully friendly staff. Their warm service always makes you feel welcome and is guaranteed to brighten your morning.

April 2025: Amazing quality and service. I had a beautiful champagne ham and cheese sandwich with a long black, which was exceptionally rich and smooth. What coffee beans do you use, folks? Then, I wanted to add a chocolate eclair but they were out. So they made a special one just for me. You're iconic! Please keep up the good work and maintain your exceptionally quality! July 2021: The peculiar waiter is still there. The new story goes as follows. There were quite a few people waiting for their ☕ outside. She came out with a cup, looking for the person who ordered it. First, she approached our table, when a cup of coffee was standing in front of each of us. Then, she approached another person who looked hesitant concerning whether this is the coffee that she ordered or not. Eventually this person took the coffee. However, after taking a couple of sips, she realized that it's not her order and returned it. The waiter took the cup and continued looking for their owner. She found them and tried giving it to them. Only when the owner said that there is lipstick on the cup and she can't have it, the waiter went away promising to return with another cup. @La Petite, it might be the time to take your Fourchette and get your customer service back to your standards. June 2021: They were amazing and then they hired a new staff member. She messed up our order, brought us something else and when we told her that this is not what we asked for she just took it back; we went to the counter to remind the more senior person what we actually ordered. Then she brought the dish, apologized, and smashed the coffee lit when putting the dish on the table. Will try to avoid this kind of service next time. May 2021: A real French 💎. Various goods that make it hard to choose. And the got a new set of cakes.

Accidentally discovered this unique artistic bakery cafe yesterday. Came back today by myself for my feast. Impressed by the look of the pie, more impressed by the unique pastry taste. There’s no oily buttery feels, but nicely balanced of flaky crust. Detailed mousse cake with very unique and details taste. I love strong latte. This place gonna be my top spot to chill from now on. More selections in the morning, after lunch, it’s coffee n cake time. Just like me. My emptied plates proved my reviews 🥰🥰

Culprit is a trendy restaurant tucked away in a spacious loft-like setting on Wyndham Street. The dining experience here is unique, with servers wheeling around trolleys laden with an array of global mains and seasonal small plates for diners to sample while they wait for their ordered dishes. Chefs Kyle Street and Jordan Macdonald, known from Depot, showcase their creativity by using less-popular cuts, species, and vegetables in their innovative offerings.
Culprit had been on our must-try list for a while, thanks to its reputation for contemporary New Zealand cuisine. We finally got the chance to experience it for our wedding anniversary dinner—and it did not disappoint! We opted for the seasonal menu with wine pairings and couldn’t resist adding a Culprit classic as well. Every bite was a delight. Truly loved it! The restaurant’s soft music, stylish décor, and gentle lighting created the perfect romantic and relaxing atmosphere. A big thank you to the professional and friendly staff who made our evening even more special. Keep up the amazing work! Culprit has officially earned a spot as one of our favourite date night spots in Auckland CBD.

My girlfriend and I visited Culprit for our anniversary, and had an amazing night. Our waitress was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She answered all of our questions and checked with the chef if she was unsure of anything. The food was absolutely delicious, and the deep fried goats cheese was absolutely divine. Every single plate was beautifully presented and flavourful to perfection. 10/10 would recommend!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I was on my own and felt super comfortable dining alone. Thankfully, I booked a table on the day, as this place gets busy and full! The food here is excellent, and the wine list is also. I had the $69 set menu and left full and satisfied. Excellent value! The gamay from Italy was delicious too. Service is good. I'll definitely be going back.

The Sept and Oct tasting menu is awsome! All dishes were great, asian inspired but not overpowering flavours, well balanced., here are few dishes; We started with oyster which came with ice tray with salty ice flakes which enhance the oyster experience. The crunch brussels dish gives a hint of Kakiage. Duck and lamb meat was perfectly cook rare/medium, cant be better! Quite full after all dishees! Funk cocktail was so special and well balanced with scent and sprit. Yuzu cocktail was also very refreshing. Want to come back again for summer menu.

We went at the start of restaurant month and unfortunately service did take quite a while with the new menu. Think in total took 2+ hours for all our food to arrive but the food itself was great as expected. This time around my favourite was the buttermilk snapper wings and previously always enjoyed the bone marrow.

Cotto Restaurant is easily one of Auckland's favourite restaurants, featuring Italian cuisine made with fresh ingredients. The restaurant has quickly become a Metro favourite for its delicious pasta dishes and cocktails.
Came here for a corporate dinner and the private room upstairs was amazing. Good for stand-up mingling and lots of room on the tables, it didn’t feel squished at all. Service was great, very attentive and friendly. Food was amazing, as it always has been for the past 7+ years that I’ve been going there. Just smaller portions, wish it was larger especially the focaccia and the lamb balsamic. Stand out dishes. Highly recommend for events and group dinners

We went for date night and wow had a great time. Service was friendly and welcoming. We got table in balcony area and it was nice and cozy. Food was delicious, drinks refreshing. Only part we did not enjoy was Tiramisu semifreddo but not a biggie. Overall beautiful restaurant and will come back for another good time. Thank you Otto team...

Booked a table for 4 for a family celebration. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Service was excellent despite being a very busy Saturday night. Definitely one of our go-to places for special occassions or when we have visitors craving Italian-inspired food. The espresso in my Affogato was a perfect finish to my meal. We also had a couple of glasses of Prosecco with our meal. My boys favourite dishes were the lamb ragu and beef cheek canneloni. Parking is a little tricky on Krd but possible to find street parking for our 8pm booking, with 15 minutes grace for our booking.

5 of us for dinner on a beautiful Auckland evening. 2 of us arrived early and sat at the outside bar for a glass of wine. We then moved to a booth and opted for the set menu of 7 courses for $45 each. What a treat - food was all delicious but my favourite was the lamb rib. Most of our group opted to add a dessert, however these were all a bit chocolate heavy and I’m not a fan of chocolate desserts. My fellow dinners were all very happy. This didn’t detract anything for me as I’d eaten plenty, without being too full. I would totally recommend. With wine, the cost was still very reasonable.

Nestled in the vibrant Britomart area, Mövenpick Hotel Auckland is a luxurious retreat that has recently undergone renovations to elevate its offerings. This upscale hotel features warm and inviting rooms and suites, some boasting stunning ocean views. Perfect for couples, families, or business travelers alike, it provides an array of amenities including a delightful 24-hour in-room Sundae Service and a daily Chocolate Hour where guests can indulge in sweet creations crafted by talented chocolatiers right in the lobby.
This hotel is in a great central location! Modern, clean, yet warm atmosphere. I checked in early and my room was already ready for me which I was very grateful for. Check in and check out was a breeze. Buffet breakfast was good. Appreciated the 11am check out time and the price for all of this was good value. I'd definitely stay again. My only tip is if you're wanting peace and quiet, stay away from the elevator area (you can choose this as a preference). I wasn't in my room much so it didn't bother me but I could hear everything in the hallway quite clearly.
Sanchia B — Google review
I felt a lot of racial bias during my check-in experience. We arrived early around 1pm (check-in was at 3pm), and I completely understand that early check-ins aren’t always possible. As a Platinum member, I had hoped for some flexibility but was told the rooms weren’t ready — fair enough. We went for lunch and returned around 2pm, and the rooms still weren’t ready. However, in the 30 minutes we waited in the lobby, I saw 5–8 other guests being checked in with no issue. When I asked the same front desk lady again if our rooms were ready, she simply said, “No, they’re not ready.” When I politely insisted that she check with the housekeeping team to see if at least one of our rooms was ready so we could freshen up, relax, and plan our afternoon, she finally checked and said, “Oh, one room is ready.” That experience was quite frustrating, especially because moments earlier she had made no effort to verify. What made it more upsetting was seeing a white couple walk in and book a room on the spot — the exact same category as one of mine (around NZD $370 per night) — and they were checked in immediately. I was told other guests had “different room categories,” but clearly that wasn’t the case. If that’s not discriminatory treatment, I don’t know what is. I paid for two rooms, valet parking, dinner, and plenty of drinks — the same or more than many other guests — yet was made to feel less valued. That said, I do want to acknowledge that the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful. The valet parking lady was so friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant and bar teams were exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and kind. It’s just unfortunate that the check-in experience left such a negative impression, overshadowing what could have been an otherwise beautiful stay.
Shane D — Google review
The rooms were lovely, big enough for a family of 4. The Breakfast and Sundaes were great. The kids really enjoyed their ice-cream each evening. The staff at the restaurant were very helpful and friendly. On our first night, we were disappointed to arrive and be unable to valet park our car as they were full. We were told we would need to ‘find’ somewhere else to park - not helpful as we do not live in NZ and don’t know the area. We were also told that we could not pre-book a valet spot and just had to hope for the best the following day. Apart from this, all other aspects of our stay were great. The location is quite central and easy to walk to many areas in the CBD.
Amanda M — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an excellent stay at the Mövenpick Hotel Auckland! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The kids especially loved the daily ice cream — such a fun treat that made their stay extra special. If we could improve one thing, it would be to have easier internet access for the kids to connect to — it took a few tries to get them online. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely deserving of five stars!
John M — Google review
Our stay was pretty disappointing. The first room had mould in the shower, and while we were moved, we had to carry our own things and the second room also had mould. No compensation was offered. The valet parking was frustrating, with construction cars blocking the area. We even had to reverse out onto a busy street. This really didn’t feel like a five-star hotel. No pool, the gym was tiny, and there was nothing that made it feel luxurious. Breakfast was fine and the chocolate hour was nice.
Sam — Google review
The location of the hotel was perfect, and the staff were all genuinely lovely and welcoming. Unfortunately, there were a few things that made our stay less than ideal. Not all of the lifts were working, and one set of buttons didn’t work on our floor, which often led to long queues. We also had repeated trouble getting back into our room, as the key card only worked if timed exactly with the handle. The rooms felt a bit dated, and the tile design in the bathroom gave the impression of cracks or dirt. As we were checking out, we also noticed a large bug in the room, which was unpleasant. We had been looking forward to the hotel’s “chocolate hour,” but because of our late check-in we unfortunately missed it. I had checked in online beforehand, as suggested, in the hope it would make arrival smoother or add a special touch, but it didn’t seem to make much difference. A small gesture like a chocolate in the room would have been a nice welcome. Overall, while the location and staff were excellent, the practical issues with the facilities and room meant our experience didn’t quite live up to expectations
Ashlee R — Google review
Room, Breakfast, Location and Service were good. But Wifi connection was very slow and unstable. it was same when I connected by high speed service that member could use. It was sometimes better depending on the time of day, but it was still slow. At most times, it took between one and ten minutes to open a single page of the bus timetable, and it timed out and I had to start over, making it unusable. I also tried using the LAN cable in the room, but it didn't work. After spending a few hours trying to troubleshoot the issue, I ended up purchasing a separate tethering service from my phone company. Time is especially valuable when traveling. Information is also.

Ada Restaurant is a charming Italian-inspired eatery located in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Housed in a former nunnery turned convent-themed hotel, the restaurant boasts an impressive interior with high ceilings and glass windows that exude a relaxed European vibe. Helmed by renowned chef Hayden Phiskie, Ada offers a menu focused on simplicity, featuring delectable dishes such as beef short rib with nduja and walnut, and fazzoletti pasta with white pork ragu.
Sensational meal! The staff were fantastic, great service. Great atmosphere. Had the best martini I’ve ever had. Stand out dishes where the truffle croquettes, peach salad and corn pasta. One of the most delicious meals we have had in Auckland.

Such a very cool location. There was Seven of us so we chose the set menu. Food was fabulous especially the duck and artichokes. We all thought some greens would balanced the meal better. The only disappointment was the dessert. The rice pudding was bland and not very interesting. Would go again, but order differently.

Ada exceeded expectations on customer service and the overall experience. Food was very good and the cocktail was delicious, highly recommend the aged beef as it was so tender and juicy, chocolate moose was divine and not to mention the establishment itself looks so stunning, the atmosphere here is beautiful. Overall the most impressive part of Ada for me was the staff. The customer service was exceptional, they were all so welcoming, attentive, patient and friendly. Overall 10/10

Ada restaurant, while a little outside of "downtown", is a must if you're visiting Auckland. The food was carefully prepared and was delicious, with a very diversified menu thought for everyone. The freshness of the ingredients is one of the highlight. I would recommend having someone with you to share the plates as you'll want to taste as many items in the menu as you can. Good wine menu and a good choice of non-alcoholic beverages. The lemonade was superbe! Additionally, the decor is really spectacular. Great spot for a few Instagram shots.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was incredible. The decor alone was stunning and truly set a memorable tone. We found the drinks perfect and the main food to be fabulous. Beyond the quality of the offerings, the service was exceptional; everyone was friendly and highly attentive. The atmosphere was delightful and very pleasant. Our single disappointment was the dessert; the rice pudding didn't quite live up to the rest of the meal. Despite that small note, we will definitely be returning!

I enjoy fine dining, but cannot say I am a "foodie" with a fully calibrated palate. That said, I was taken back by how masterful each dish was - aesthetically pleasing, full of flavor, and unique. This was an experience, one of the best meals I've had in all of my travels. I did not have a reservation, dined solo, and had a seat at the bar with no wait. Despite the bar setting, the atmosphere felt private and the service was exemplary. I highly recommend the Crudo. I followed the servers suggestion here, and was thankful I did so.
Patrick D — Google review
We really wanted to enjoy Ada because we had heard so many good things but unfortunately can’t recommend this. The food was not worth the price. For instance the lamb didn’t have much flavour, was undercooked and hard to chew. + our raw beef tartare had a hair in it. A friend ended up eating it and it was quite unpleasant. Our reservation was also hidden at the very back of the restaurant with no light so we couldn’t read the menu or see what we were eating. Overall: - food wasn’t amazing - brusque service - poor atmosphere - hair in our raw beef dish *We were given a replacement ‘on the house’, but combined with the other things it definitely just made our experience worse.

Pici is a charming restaurant where the menu changes seasonally, offering flavorful dishes and a chance to watch pasta being made in front of you. The cheesy cacio e pepe is a must-try for comfort food lovers. The service is efficient, with helpful staff guiding food and wine choices. While the outdoor seating may come with some street noise, the delicious food and quick service make up for it.
We came here as a family with three kids and while there was no high chair fir our toddler, the staff made great effort to accommodate us. The food and drinks were really good. Our favourite was the octopus, which was tender and delicious. The pasta were delicious too but some of them were a bit gluggy. But our finished on a really high note with the amazing cheesecake. Overall, it was a great experience for the whole family.

The restaurant is quite small with an open kitchen. Food was yummy and served very quickly. Reminded us of being in Italy, though the portions were smaller. Red wine recommended by wait staff was delicious.

My fourth visit here, this time with family to try the spring menu. We had the pear and honey special with focaccia, lamb shoulder pappardelle and the cacio e pepe. Everything was so yum, but the pappardelle was the standout for me. The staff were, as always, warm and helpful with great recommendations from the specials and wine menu. Always a great experience, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on the next seasonal menu!

Had a great evening at Pici last Saturday the food, service, and atmosphere were all truly impressive. The fettuccine anchovy was a standout: rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. A dish that truly lingers in the memory. I also loved the selection of organic wines, with excellent pairing suggestions from the team. Sitting at the bar gave us a front-row seat to the kitchen in action — efficient, passionate, and inspiring. Overall, a delightful experience. I’d definitely return great vibes, delicious food, and a team that clearly cares.

Nestled in the stunning St Kevins Arcade building. Beautiful venue and stunning wines as well. The porchetta was amazing first time i have tried this and i now need to go make it at home. Cacio e pepe has been on my wish list for years stoked to have finally tried it.

I have to be honest my expectations are way to high for this place. Ive been wanting to try Pici for the longest time, tonight we picked this place to celebrate my brother’s birthday. The fettuccine with anchovy is way too salty for our liking I know anchovies are already salty but it’s excessive. The cacio e pepe was okay meh, not something that I would remember and rave about.

We decided to go to Pici for Matariki night, and it was an amazing experience. We had the set menu every single course was delicious, and the service was impeccable, we were lucky enough to get the table upstairs, and we loved it! Highly raccomanded!

You arrive in heaven, meet God, kiss your gramma, and then they hand you this focaccia. The first bite of the crust brought tears to my eyes—divine. Everything was delicious. Plates to share (you don’t want to) and great timing from course to course. Some unique local wines are available and the semifredda was to die for. We celebrated our anniversary and would gladly do so again! Reservation may be helpful, we showed up at 545 and there was only one table available for walk up.

The Pie Piper is a must-visit for doughnut enthusiasts, offering a wide array of handcrafted daily flavors like Bourbon Maple Walnut and Chocolate & Mini Praline. The delivery service makes it convenient to enjoy these mouth-watering treats from the comfort of your home.
Best place to quench your sweet tooth!!! Unbelievably delicious pies, perfect doughnuts, and particularly tasty cinnamon rolls. Staff is polite and welcoming. You feel as if you were in your granny’s. Love it! You can get pies for events and you won’t be disappointed. They will be the success of the party. The place is small, but there is a great feel to it. The coffee if free refill, just like in America.

the modern day K Toad vibe mixed with American pies and cuisine. The pies look incredible and the donuts and baking looks divine. We ordered a mixture of pastries and coffees as it was too early for sweet decadence. The coffee making was not speedy. The service was friendly. There were a couple of Uber eats orders going out. I can report the food was fine, fresh and delicious. The reason I made it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the restaurant seating was not ideal, it was noisy as they are baking there. The music also didn’t suit the theme of the place.

I purchased a Banoffie cake, it was not bad, but I've had banoffie before and this one let me down a bit. Felt like it didn't had enough caramel/banana mix. The crust was good, but to much whipped cream to my taste. Good thing though it's that they give you the glass refractory with the cake! Overall, it's alright.

For everyone with a sweet tooth! Lovely pies and cakes and doughnuts of all descriptions. Served by friendly staff and with tons of options to choose. Some say these are the best (sweet) pies in the city. The cheesecake is brilliant too. Beware the sugar induced comma! ;)
Juan D — Google review
Wonderful staff and all the pies and cakes up front makes you drool. However, the chocolate cake I’ve ordered was ... disappointing. It was on a dry side (maybe because it was sitting there for too long), the icing just tasted like fondant. It wasn’t a dense cake or a light fluffy cake, just average tasting. I’ll probably come back for the other dessert, but a slice for $12.5 was honestly not worth it.

I'm thinking this is the American Dream where they talk about all the pies. It would take me a month to try everything but from just looking, these look fantastic. I tried the mini pie, Rocky road it was great, nice rich flavour, loved it. Looks like they do catering options so it'd be great for birthdays etc

Great doughnuts, just the right hint of yeast in the dough. They were so kind when we asked if they had cinnamon scrolls which I saw earlier that week, they said they didn't. Later we had one of the staff come out with one on the house! Fresh out of the oven. Great place for a treat
Sophia F — Google review
Wasn’t super impressed by the donuts, but they certainly were not bad. Flavors are interesting, but the donut itself was a little dry and the banana cream was very artificial tasting. Staff was very friendly and they offer bottomless filter coffee, a hard treat to come by in New Zealand. The cheesecakes looked really nice, although we did not try them. Pricing is pretty expensive ($5/donut). Prolly won’t visit this place regularly, but not upset that I went.

Best real gelato in the north, and made with Spanish passion! We tried Feijoa flavour and Hot Cross Bun. Weird and yummy!!!

Ordered two cheesecakes through Uber eats. Strawberry and snickers. What arrived could not have been more of a let down. Bearing absolutely no resemblance to what was advertised on the app. Really wanted to support local business but very unimpressed. Would not recommend. False advertising this blatant is unacceptable

I didn't know this store existed until a friend suggested we go. The line was pretty long (which was a good sign) and moved pretty quickly. There were way too many flavours I wanted to try, but luckily even one scoop gets you two of them, so I did that. The ice cream itself was awesome and the prices were much better than other, nearby, places. I will definitely be returning in the future.Thank you. the gelato work shop see you soon ☺️🤞🎉

Forest is a plant-based restaurant located on Dominion Road, offering innovative and unique vegetarian cuisine. Chef and owner Plabita Florence focuses on seasonal and sustainable dining, incorporating unexpected flavors and ingredients into her weekly-changing menu. The restaurant's purple-hued dining room provides a cozy atmosphere for guests to enjoy dishes like deep-fried halloumi with caramelized onion gravy or roasted kumara with rosemary and Marmite cream.
Went to Forest for dinner with a friend the other night and it was such an awesome experience. The restaurant is so beautifully set out and the decor is very intentional and warm. The atmosphere is relaxing and intimate. The food was another level, have not had a meal like that in Auckland in such a long time. Everything was paired beautifully and the vegetables were so fresh. For all you meat eaters that reckon they won’t get full / be impressed - Forest will change your life and open your mind to the world of possibilities. The seaweed dusted fries were surprisingly so good. A highlight was definitely the peach jelly and the feijoa ice cream with watermelon granita! Mega compliments to the chef (talented af) and the lovely front of house ladies who made the experience that much more relaxing and fun. Would definitely be back.

I had never been to a vegetarian restaurant before and didn’t know what to expect but this was an absolute 10/10 experience. Amazing food and cocktails, a couple of favorites were the corn nugget taco, the deep fried halloumi, the potato ravioli and the watermelon chilli margarita. As a meat eater I highly recommend to all as something fun to try. James Ashwin Kakapo Business Sales

My partner and I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a long time. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the lighting was lovely, and the service was great! We began with the starters: The tomato soup was fantastic, with a delicious tanginess that really stood out. The bread and butter were also very enjoyable, and the fries were crispy and satisfying. The halloumi dish, in particular, was overwhelmingly sour, it felt like it hadn’t been tasted before leaving the kitchen. It was sour on sour with only a touch of honey, which wasn’t enough to balance it out. The Brussels sprouts were also underwhelming, bland, and paired with an imbalanced amount of stracciatella, leaving them dry and uninteresting. Dessert was okay but not memorable. The feijoa element was very sour, though the Earl Grey flavour and custard was a nice touch. The dishes leaned far too heavily into sour flavours, and there wasn’t enough contrast or balance to make them work. While the flavour combinations sounded creative and exciting, the execution fell short and balance of flavours was off. Edit: I understand it’s a small business and care is taken to provide a good experience. I see there are plenty of other great reviews, this was just our experience and honest reviews are what helps me and others find the restaurants they love.

This is the second time we’ve gone to eat at Forest, and we’re definitely going to come back many more times. We recommend this place to everyone. Their creativity with flavor combinations constantly surprises us. . We’re always trying out new places to eat and this is one of our favorites—not just because of the exquisite dishes, but also because of the professionalism from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. Eating there makes us happy Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in New Zealand.

This was like a trip to an art gallery. We are tricky customers as my wife has dementia and generally dislikes anything in restaurants. We had two Dishes: bread rolls as a starter and a kumara dish with a marmite sauce. Cost was $48. My wife ate most of one of the rolls and basically dipped out of the other dish. The rolls were delicious with the wine butter. The other dish was very tasty and looked absolutely incredible with onion flowers to decorate. I was a little bit peckish at the end and bought a couple of sushi things at the Japanese place next door to fill myself up. I couldn’t honestly say that I totally loved the second dish. It had delicious elements, but there was something that didn’t quite work for me, Not quite sure how to be articulate about it. It certainly wasn’t a lack of flavour!I did enjoy the Experience and found the staff really friendly. Wishing them all the best!

This was a beautiful cozy spot I stumbled across when trying to find somewhere I hadn’t been to in Auckland. It’s vegetarian but has a great range of food options and looks like the menu changes regularly. Service was friendly and for the quality its pricing is on par with many other establishments in Auckland. All round a quality spot I would go to again.

Really phenomenal menu. Everything on the menu had a vegan option! Fan favorites include: spicy pickled cabbage margarita, earl grey whiskey sour, witloof taco, charred asparagus with raspberry vinegar and coffee cashew butter, iceberg wedge with jalapeno & nori ranch and smoked beets, toffee apple pudding. We didn't have a bad bite the whole night. Come have a decadent feast at Forest!

Ragtag is a new restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. The menu features a variety of dishes, including grilled octopus on XO sauce, duck tortillas, asparagus, raw fish, grilled cauliflower, and fish dishes. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the quality of the food is worth it. The raw fish tostada with peach salsa is recommended for sharing and the duck carnitas are highly praised.
Heard really great things about this restaurant so had to try it out for myself. We ordered the octopus tostada, duck tacos and smoked lamb. Such amazing flavours the duck tacos are a must try and also got the sticky date to top it all off.

Loved the ambience, food, cocktails and service. A charming little spot that does it right. Our top two dishes were the duck tacos and the eggplant. We were too full to order desserts so I’ll have to come back to give the sweets a whirl.

Really lovely little restaurant. Nice cosy atmosphere. Staff were warm and knowledgable. Food was amazing. Favourites were the raw fish tostada (too good to share), sweet and sour mushrooms, the duck carnitas and the lamb (really generous portion). Drinks were delicious especially the rhubarb sour.
Josie C — Google review
This is my 3rd time at Ragtag and I don’t know how each visit is better than the last. Truly one of the best restaurants in Auckland - they know how to make dishes that have the most beautiful flavour combinations but keeps it simple at the same time. The octopus tostada has to be one of the best things i’ve eaten this year. Of course the duck tacos are a must too! Also drinks are so yum I ended up having another kaffir lime margarita Even their sticky toffee pudding was perfect - with a generous amount of caramel without being overly sweet Amazing stuff!!
Aleana F — Google review
mainly about tacos and were impressed by the creativity and bold flavors – the raw fish and duck options were especially unique and memorable. That said, a few dishes were overwhelmingly salty, particularly the beef nuggets and lamb, so we’d recommend choosing those with care. T bone steak source was tasting, however the meat has a bit overcooked could taste bitter. The service was friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a nice spot for a casual catch-up with a couple of friends. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but there’s plenty of street parking nearby, which is a plus.
Susy G — Google review
Everyone seems to talk about the duck tacos here but my friends and I think the stand out dishes were the tostadas we got (raw fish, prawns and octopus). They definitely don’t skim on ingredients, the tostadas were packed full of toppings/fillings. The combination of flavours were outstanding and not typically something you’d find in NZ restaurants! The eggplant dish was so crispy and flavoursome - has got to be one of the top eggplant dishes in the city. The t-bone was cooked to absolute perfection. It had a nice sear to it, just the right amount of salt, and was juicy/tender - everything you want in a steak. I would say it was great value for money too. Paid just under $90 for all this food (split between 5 of us) plus I got a cocktail and wine too!
Joey T — Google review
One of the best meals we’ve had EVER. No wonder why they’re always packed up. The food was extraordinary, staff was SO nice, and the place was just very chill and well thought out. Food is a mix of different cultures, which makes it so complex but with simple good quality ingredients. Just amazing!
Daniela M — Google review
Loved our meal at Ragtag! The vibes were great, it’s such a cute old house turned into a restaurant. All the food was delicious, and the standout dish for me was the carrots, I’ve never experienced a veggie dish like that before! We tried the raw fish, carrots, quesadilla, beef nuggets, duck tacos, and the toffee pudding. Drinks were great too, and this was the only photo of the night 🤣 The only reason I’m not rating this a 5 is because of the kitchen table. I thought it was a pretty cool idea until I actually got there. I assumed sitting next to the kitchen would mean a more interactive experience, but the staff never spoke to us unless I asked a question. It would’ve been nice if they made it feel more like an experience rather than just another table. This isn’t a complaint, but incorporating a bit more interaction or entertainment would really elevate the overall experience.

Daily Bread — Britomart is a popular bakery and cafe founded by Tom Hishon, Josh Helm, and 22nd generation German baker Patrick Welzenbach. The establishment offers a variety of freshly baked bread, buns, pastries, and sandwiches. Their breakfast menu features classic dishes like eggs and soldiers. With accolades to their name, the Ponsonby branch is considered one of the best cafes in the area.
Sad we didn’t find Daily Bread before our last day - cannot fault it at all, the extent of the menu from fresh bread, breakfast, pastries, sandwiches, pies, wine/cocktails - they cover it all. Our breakfast and coffee was both the best we’ve experienced whilst in Auckland - and surprisingly we spent less than we did when we visited coffee club for a ‘cheaper’ breakfast. $77 NZD for what you see pictured - 2 coffees and very sufficient and filling breakfasts that hit every flavour craving you want.
Caitlin N — Google review
Daily Bread is an amazing spot in the city for both food and coffee. We visited on a buzzing Saturday morning, and the place was packed—always a good sign. The selection is impressive, with plenty of options from cabinet food to menu dishes. Our food was tasty, the egg baguette in particular was delicious, and the coffee was solid. No major faults there. The cabinet offerings looked great as well, and I’d definitely be keen to try a salad next time. Service isn’t really the focus here—there’s not much in terms of customer connection, and you go mainly for the food. The online ordering was offline due to the high demand, which is understandable but added to wait times. Staff did well keeping the inside clean, though the outside tables could have used a bit more attention. Overall, a reliable spot for quality food and coffee, even if the customer service side feels minimal.

Located on the waterfront Britomart development, the Daily Bread cafe offers a wonderful experience for good coffee and breakfast favourites! The huge selection of breads and brunch options should satisfy most dinners! The croissant 🥐 is great but not sure about their take on the classic almond croissant, which has been turned into a hazelnut croissant and even one made with chocolate!! Service is friendly and overall a great selection and taste! The general building is beautiful and easy to find! Enjoy your coffee and sweets!!

I went here over the weekend to catch up with some friends, and it turned out to be a nice little spot for a casual meet-up. The atmosphere was cozy and not too loud, which made it easy for us to chat. We ordered a few pastries and they were quite nice fresh and not overly sweet. Nothing too fancy, but it hit the spot. Everything came out quickly and the staff were polite and efficient. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for somewhere simple and comfortable to hang out with friends on the weekend.

It’s a lovely place for breakfast or brunch, with a great selection of pastries that are all fresh and delicious. I tried the croissants, which were buttery and flaky, and the coffee was excellent too. The mocha was rich and smooth, making the whole experience even better.

I was really excited to try a Too Good To Go surprise bag from Daily Bread, especially after seeing others receive a nice variety of pastries and breads. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. My bag contained three identical bread slices and nothing else. This doesn’t feel like a “surprise” or good value, just leftovers without any effort or variety. I love the idea behind reducing food waste, and I expected better from Daily Bread given their usual quality. I hope they take more care in preparing these bags in the future, because this felt quite misleading compared to what customers are shown or expecting. Plus the value of these r lowers than the value listed on the app. I would appreciate if the owners can contact me on dealing with this issue. As i sent email and got no reply.

Daily Bread is a bakery cafe offering bread, pie, deli, coffee, all kinds of Western-style breakfast options. I got myself a Bolognese rosemary mozzarella pie ($10) and iced chocolate ($6). And smh I spent $17. I remembered it clearly iced chocolate is same price as hot chocolate ($6). Maybe it’s an error on the menu since it’s a new item. Who would pay $7 for iced chocolate 🤷. Ordering + Order and pay at the counter. You get your pie immediately. For your drink you will get a table number stand. Now find a seat and wait. Picking your autistic seat + I recommend lower floor seats. Higher floor is too busy, too many sensory inputs. Check my video and photo for the cafe layout. Water & Napkins + Both are self-service. Plus they have $0 soda water. Food - 8.5/10 + Pie is delicious, I love mozzarella. + State the obvious. Iced chocolate is just chocolate with A LOT OF ICE. Who would pay $7 for that. Buy yourself a BUBBLE TEA PLS😭 Service - $7/10 I really want to give this cafe 5 stars. However I couldn’t get over that iced chocolate so 4 stars. 🤓👌 Update: Sep 19 12:25pm I went to this place just to check the menu. And the new menu with iced chocolate item in it is not on the counter anymore. There’s an old menu on the glass cabinet. My conclusion is yep there’s an error in that new menu.

Me and my friend came here for the first time to enjoy a nice meal, the matcha latte was excellent, but the service and food was not good. We repeated ourselves to the servers so many times our order and they kept asking us if we were waiting for anything. We also got 2 sides of hollandaise sauce, the server even asked the chef how much to charge and if they had any. The chef said yes. So charged us $6 for extra hollandaise, the mains came out without the sides of hollandaise we ordered, again I had to repeat myself asking where our hollandaise was. We waited and the server came back with cash and apologised and said they ran out. What a waste of time that was. We spent nearly $93 on our whole meal and the food was disappointing. Bread was dry and hard, eggs plain and pork belly was thin. It was the most basic meal iv ever spent a lot of money on. I left the cafe feeling disappointed and ripped off, didn’t even eat my whole meal because of how disappointing it was. Atmosphere was good, latte was good but food and service a big NO

If you're on the hunt for a delightful frozen yogurt experience, look no further than KiwiYo! This vibrant spot is perfect for families and anyone with a sweet tooth. At KiwiYo, you can customize your own bowl of froyo by selecting from an array of delicious flavors and piling on toppings galore—think fresh fruits, colorful candies, sprinkles, and rich sauces. The self-serve concept allows kids to unleash their creativity as they craft their ideal treat.
We came at night on Monday, May 19 and the lady working got super busy after a surge of customers. She was sweet enough to compensate us for our time but we felt really bad for her because it got so busy & she was working alone. Please have at least 2 workers on duty to avoid this. Please be thoughtful towards your staff ❤️

I go to this froyo store quite a lot and they always provide good and fresh toppings for the frozen yoghurts! It’s a self serve shop with multiple flavours that change from Time to time excluding classics like the plain yoghurt or chocolate. The toppings are always fresh and delicious and range from fresh fruit over boba to sweets and even small brownie chunks. The store additionally provides sauces and sprinkles to top the yoghurt off and also sells waffles etc. which are really good! You pay the yoghurt by weight- I usually pay around 5-10$ for the small sized cup filled almost to the brim with yoghurt and toppings. I really recommend this store!

Concerned Parent Review I’m wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. My 9-year-old has eaten KiwiYo twice, both times around 6 p.m., and each time he threw up about three hours later (around 9 p.m.) before going to bed. He’s not allergic to anything, and my other child ate the same KiwiYo with no problem, so it seems to affect only him. He normally loves frozen yoghurt, but now he completely refuses to eat KiwiYo because he associates it with getting sick. Could there be something in the ingredients that some children react to more strongly? I’d really appreciate hearing if anyone else has experienced something like this.

Terrible Shop! Way too overpriced, toppings bar + machines are ALWAYS a mess, attracting flies and other bugs. Awful service, a young girl working today just after lunch was basically useless and rude. Never much better service though. Don’t bother coming to this gross, unkempt shop. Employees don’t care. My kids had an awful time today, very sad.

The best yoghurt I had, so many choices of flavours and toppings you can add but a bit steep of price for a small cup, though you pay by the weight.. Recommended to try..
Faye O — Google review
Yummmmmmmm. The cleanest fro-yo shop I've EVER been to because it didn't look like it's been destroyed by kids nor were any of the toppings uncovered and making me concerned like most others are. Plus, they had a few more soft serve flavours than just the standard ones, like I had a cookies n cream whilst there might have even been a coconut dairy free one to try. As for the toppings again, there were heaps of choices and all full up! The only saving grace for any of our waist lines is that we pick the smallest bowls so there's only so much we can fill it up with (but we try, oh do we try).

The dessert restaurant Meet Fresh offers a range of sweet treats, such as waffles and shaved ice. They have a great selection of drinks to choose from, too. The strawberry snowflake ice was our favorite dish here. It was easy to eat and tasted really good.
I’ve been wanting to eat here for ages but could never find the right time. Finally, I got to try it today. The dish that came out was way bigger than the picture on the menu, which was quite a surprise! I was a bit worried if I could finish it all by myself, but it was so delicious that I ended up eating every last bite. The sweetness is quite unique, so I’d recommend it to those who enjoy Asian cuisine or are familiar with Asian food culture. For first-timers, the taste and texture might be a bit unusual. But once you get used to this distinct sweetness, you’ll be craving it again and again. Definitely give it a try!

We were a group of 5 that dined in on a Friday afternoon. There was someone ready to take our order (we took long to decide). We ended up getting the mango snowflake ice and strawberry snowflake ice and shared it between us. The place is so clean and has PowerPoints to charge your devices. A great place to chill and yap with friends over dessert.

The shaved ice dish was gigantic. couldn't even finish it. mango wasn't the fresh one but good enough to feel fresh. waffles were very impressive with crunch almond and melting cream. Definitely good place to feel the festive vibe.
Jin A — Google review
The prices are quite high for what they serve when comparing to similar places in the city or up north. The pumpkin or sweet potato they gave tasted a unfresh, was perhaps frozen or already in their fridge for a while. This after all is just ice and some toppings but the prices don’t seem reasonable. The strawberry ice dish is loaded with strawberries but the icy part wasn’t so good, tasted more like flavourless ice bits.

We arrived at 11:20pm. Closing time is 12am, and they said they’re not able to do bingsu’s as they had closed the machine. ?? Why when if you close at 12? Our regular is Dominion road meetfresh, and we’ve gone in after 11:40pm and they’ve served us both dine in and take-away bingsu’s. We ended up getting warm dessert options which we didn’t like, just wasn’t for us. Also, at 11:20 they served these in takeaway containers? This place is closing while still being open lol

Looking for some sweet treat I found Meet Fresh and got a Mango Shaved Ice. The portion is huge and easy to share. Some nice vanilla ice cream on top, lots of fruits and nice and fruity while not overly sweet. Staff is friendly, seating is on the rustic side but does the job. A great spot for some Taiwanese sweets👍🏻

It's always nice to have desserts 🍨 with family. We had mango 🥭 snowflake ice and chocolate snowflake ice. They came with pudding, manggo/ bobba, and condense milk. We never get bored with these 2 types of snowflakes. Always order 2 bowls and share between 3 of us. The place almost always busy so understandable the worker are busy and we need to help them to clean the table for ourselves.

Moustache Milk & Cookie Bar is a must-visit for cookie enthusiasts. Their super-sized Caramilk Cookie Pie is a crowd-pleaser, and their wide range of flavors will leave you spoiled for choice. The cookies are described as addictive and delicious, making them perfect for gifting or indulging in yourself. With options like Cinnamon Donut, Triple Chocolate, and White Chocolate Macadamia, there's something for everyone.
What can I say? The cookies are excellent. The service is excellent. My favourites are the white chocolate and macadamia cookie, and the caramilk cookie pie. The recent Dubai chocolate cookie was by far the best version of a Dubai chocolate creation I’ve ever had. It was incredible, and not overly sweet which I enjoyed. Moustache never disappoints.

Pre-ordered a box of dubai chocolate cookies, so I thought I might as well pre-order an assorted box, too. 1st time trying it, omg 😍🤤😋. Soooo good. I picked up my pre-order yesterday and while I was there, got 2 lots of 3 cookies bag for my friends. We all enjoyed the variety of tastes, perfection, real bakers delight 😊. Cute little shop, nice bright welcoming decor and friendly staff. Parking spots in front of store, many thanks 🙂

Yummy cookie pies, always very popular amongst friends and colleagues! Just want to try all the flavours! They have spacious seating too. Happy place!

I have been here several times 🙈 & the customer service & premises have been immaculate 🥰 Today I tried the Tiramisu cookie pie, it was delightful with just a subtle hint of coffee. The cream filling was light, not too sweet & melt in ya mouth. The Biscoff hot chocolate took me to another level! Would def def get that again. Moustache in Manukau is now open until 10pm! Perfect for when you are craving that sweetie fix at 9:45pm 😁

When we arrived, there were a few people in-store, and it seemed to be a busy place, though most customers were picking up takeout. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here! The cookie pies were delicious—soft and gooey. We tried the Nutella, Cookies and Cream, Caramilk, and Biscoff flavours, and my favorite was definitely the Biscoff. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly welcoming.

Always saw this online, wanted to order online but didn't. Finally made the trip to go In store and OMG the cookie pies were delicious! Highly recommend. My son loved his cookie too. They were nice and warm an just melted in my mouth yum! Got a milkshake, was a little sweet for me, but was still delicious. Will definitely make another trip to buy in store again

Island Gelato Cos is a trio of ice cream shops located in different parts of Auckland, each with its own unique atmosphere and flavour combinations. The shop also sells coffee and bagels, both made from fresh ingredients and conveniently located near the centre of the city.
Amazing Gelato shop with a few really good flavors so you don't have to go crazy thinking about what you want (I still couldn't decide). You can get your Gelato with a cone or a cup. They also sell prepackaged Gelato that you can take home. It was really refreshing on a hot day. Definitely visit if you are by the ferry docks.

Love the ice cream here. Had the peanut butter and passionfruit flavors. Cappuccino was nice and strong with the Right amount hot milk.

One of the best pistachio ice cream I’ve ever had. You can really tell it’s made with real pistachios. Simply delicious! And the staff is very friendly!

Located in a convenient ferry terminal area, this place offers an interesting range of flavors and has friendly staff. There is nothing particularly special when compared to competitors, nor are there significant faults, making it rather average overall. It's something you might want to try without setting high expectations.

Went in to buy some gelato for but ended up leaving with nothing. Waiting in line to be served but it seems lines don’t matter as when we are receiving samples other customers came barging in to order. I was about to crash out but lucky my girlfriend pulled us out. Workers didn’t seem to have a care in the world.

The staff's attitude was utterly dreadful. They kept glaring at us with such hostility, and when we tried to make a purchase, they were downright rude. Even after I'd paid, they practically shoved me out the door. The two shop assistants were a fair-haired woman and another with two pigtails. In the end, I even caught the pigtailed one swearing at the other and giving us this disgusting look. Don't bother going there – it's bloody sucks

3 scoops are a very generous portion. Delicious 😋 Island Gelato is one of my favourite ice cream place in Auckland! It will not close until very late. I like walking here after dinner for desserts 🍨. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I think they always have new flavours!!! My current favourite is pistachio!!!

Onemata is a restaurant located at the new Park Hyatt in Auckland, New Zealand. It focuses on celebrating local culinary heritage and emphasizes using locally sourced produce. The menu showcases a blend of local flavors with worldly Asian influences, featuring dishes like whisky-cured salmon and scampi risotto. The restaurant aims to highlight New Zealand's seasonal bounty, offering starters such as seared tuna tataki and paua risotto, as well as expertly cooked steaks.
This was our first time here and we weren't disappointed. The service was warm, welcoming and professional. The food was delicious, my steak cooked to perfection. The atmosphere felt special but not pretentious. It's quite expensive but we dined with First Table which made a huge difference to the cost.

Visited Onemata located within the Park Hyatt Auckland for their Saturday brunch. The restaurant’s concept, which focuses on local produce, is well evident in its open-kitchen layout and commitment to showcasing NZ’s finest seasonal ingredients. We had market fish which was freshly paired with some sauce. Eggplant with herb salad was a classic dish. My favourite was pancakes prepared with care and fineness as pancakes were so fluffy - a refined brunch selection. Last was the candied kumara - really a standout creative dish and one must try this dish. We specifically requested no nuts due to allergy. Staff were notably accommodating, demonstrating alternatives and consideration. Our drinks, were however, arrived significantly late. The beverages were average in taste, yet the staff acted commendably- they waived the charge for the drinks entirely because of the delay. The ambience was refined yet inviting and fine enough for a special occasion without feeling overly formal. Overall, had a delightful experience.

Had my birthday dinner at Onemata and it was such a great experience! We were seated with beautiful waterfront views, and the host, wait staff and the whole team were so friendly and welcoming. We had the natural oysters — super fresh — and the duck liver pâté with focaccia which was delicious. The butcher’s cut of the day was a generous, perfectly cooked and tender piece of meat, paired perfectly with a lovely glass of red wine. They even surprised me with a cute (and yummy!) cake for my birthday. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful lunch at Onemata Restaurant. My mom ordered the Bibimbap, while I tried the beef noodle soup. Both dishes were delicious — creative fusion interpretations of classic Korean cuisine. The Bibimbap had a mild, balanced chili flavor, and the beef noodle soup was rich and deeply savory. The presentation was elegant, and every flavor felt thoughtful and refined. When we asked if there was a Korean chef behind the dishes, we were delighted to meet Chef Caroline Chung, whose warm personality and authentic touch made the experience feel even more genuine. A truly memorable dining experience overall!

I visited Onemata with friends, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in Auckland. For starters, we ordered everything recommended by the resutaurant staff, and the highlight was definitely the Fish Crudo. Unlike similar dishes I’ve had elsewhere, there wasn’t even the slightest hint of fishiness. The Asian-inspired touch in the dressing and oil elevated the flavors beautifully! It was truly exceptional. What impressed us even more was the wine service. I mentioned that I don’t enjoy sweet wines, and that I prefer something dry yet distinctive to pair well with the food......perhaps a little picky, I admit....... But the sommelier, a gentleman wearing a Japanese flag pin, introduced us to the perfect wines! He shared that he had worked at several five-star hotels around the world, which made perfect sense given his expertise. We were truly impressed by him. Not only was his wine knowledge outstanding, but he also answered our questions about the food in great detail. For example, he explained that Onemata’s chefs regularly visit their partner farms to personally select the finest cuts of meat, which really showed the restaurant’s dedication to quality. In the end, we ordered every dish and wine pairing he recommended, and each one was absolutely spot-on!!! It was such a wonderful evening, and I will definitely return to Onemata. Highly recommended! ※One small comment I would add is that the meat was absolutely outstanding, so I would have appreciated being advised to taste the meat on its own first and then try it with the homemade mint sauce.

I visited this place as part of my stay at the Hyatt Hotel, and the breakfast was included in my stay. I believe if you get this separately it is $50 per person. There’s a large selection of both small and large meals, along with a buffet area featuring fresh fruits and pastries at the back. Me and my wife tried the Korean beef noodle soup, smashed avocado toast, smoked salmon plate, and house-made muesli. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and the perfect way to start the day. The star of the meal, however, was the freshly squeezed fruit juice — made with a mix of fruits, it was naturally sweet, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're staying at the Hyatt or nearby!

Korean restaurant

Located on Kitchener Road, Tokki is a chic Korean dining spot that offers an indulgent seasonal house menu and a set menu for those looking to savor each bite. The restaurant has gained popularity for its gourmet smash burgers and classy small plates, such as pumpkin, mushroom, and sundried tomato arancini. The classic cheeseburger with two 100% pure Angus beef patties is a must-try.
My friend introduced me to this restaurant as he knows that I don’t do fine dining in NZ given I spent nearly a decade in Tokyo. That’s not to say NZ can’t do fine dining but I just couldn’t be bothered to try it here as reviews are hit and miss. In Japan you can use Tablelog and it’s pretty much on the money. Tokki however has now changed my mind on NZ fine dining. Tokki is very much like one of those restaurants in Ebisu, Hiroo or Azubu Juban: High end neighbourhoods in Tokyo with very good but discreet restaurants. We ordered the sashimi with this mustard type of paste covered with fine green onions, the deep fried egg plants, the stuffed chicken wings with prawn, the snapper bibim bap, the flat noodles (one with the gachu jang flavour and the other with mushroom and truffle oil), minced chicken on Korean pancake, roasted sweet corn with a cream puree and for dessert there melon flamed baked Alaska. The sashimi was superb - it was Nobu without the Nobu. The chef did his own dressing which was flavorful but not heavy. It was topped with fine spring onions. He tried to explain it to us the dressing but I can only describe it simply as light refreshing mustard flavour without the harshness of mustard. The egg plant was excellent, it was deep fried in a light crunchy batter with just enough sweetness. The stuffed prawn chicken wings were really good and our 6 year old ate nearly one on her own which is something as children don’t do sea food. The minced chicken on Korean pancake was excellent. The texture of the pancake was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. The roasted sweetcorn with this cream parfait type pure was very, very good and the texture excellent. The snapper bibim bap was great especially with their own self made sesame oil. The highlight for us though is their flat noodles. It was al dente, had a slight chewiness and the thickness was just right. We ended with their (I understand) signature melon ice cream on a stick baked Alaska. It was nice to have at the end. The wine list is extensive with the high end champagnes to nice NZ chardonnays. They do the high balls and have just beers to satisfy everyone. Given this was my first fine dining experience in NZ I cannot compare it to other restaurants in terms of price but I can say this fhat for the price we paid it was deeply satisfying in terms of taste and portion size so much so that we had to go for a walk afterwards! If you go you won’t be disappointed by the food and service.

Authentic Korean food and flavours are presented in a contemporary style. Everything was presented perfectly, and the taste was exceptional. The service was also great, and lastly, the prices were really good for the quality of the food and service. The seaweed snack was a hit with my kids, as was the pork galbi and rice. Highly recommended to all foodies!!

Chef Jason and his crew never disappoint! From the raw snapper with minari and mustard sauce - so tasty. to the crunchy sweet corn pudding, crispy eggplant, stuffed chicken wings, and those kochujang noodles, ever a crowd pleaser, loved every bite. If you've never been, do yourself a big favour and make a reservation. Thank you Tokki team for a wonderful meal. Best restaurant on the North shore by far!

A very memorable restaurant. Slightly mysterious unassuming very plain exterior but inside it's a whole different story! A lot of protocols being followed by the staff which create a special atmosphere. Food amazingly tasty. Every sauce is so tasty I was scraping my plate! The raw fish is the best I've ever tasted. The set menu is very good value and exactly what they promise - a taste adventure. Better make a reservation as they were full after we came and turned away several groups after us. I've never tasted Korean food like this or seen the rituals before. Beautiful attention to detail and highly organized preparation. An experience you'll want to repeat!

What a find in North Shore! House menu was delicious, good service and well priced. Great selection of wines. The eggplant and the noodles were stand outs, but everything was tasty and well presented. They are busy, so bookings are recommended.

Fantastic food and service. The restaurant is often busy so book ahead if possible. We decided to just order a la carte and every single dish was delicious. Especially the stuffed chicken wing with prawn paste is ridiculously good. I could eat a dozen of them!! The ceviche was also excellent. Top notch restaurant.

One of my favs on the Shore. Great food with Korean origins. Nice selection of Japanese whiskeys, sake and cocktails. The service matches the excellent flavours of the dishes. Book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Very friendly and accommodating chef & staff, nice & comfy environment. House menu was hassle free and good value. Food wise: Hwe raw fish was fresh and refreshing with a very lovely sesame mustard sauce; Crispy eggplant was super juicy, would be our favourite from the set menu; Pork was nicely balanced out with enoki mushroom; Beef ribs and flat noodles would be good if it's not too salty, could do with either less sauce or salt or wrapped in lettuce to reduce the intense flavour just like the Ssam...

Nestled within Sylvia Park Mall, Eggloo is a delightful spot that reimagines the classic Hong Kong street food known as Gai Dan Jai, or egg waffles. This charming stall specializes in crafting waffle cups filled with ice cream and an array of enticing flavors like sweet and salted caramel, matcha, and lemon baked Alaska. The unique texture of these waffles features a crispy outer layer paired with a soft, fluffy center that’s sure to please both kids and adults alike.
Staff members are friendly, courteous, accommodating and patience. The food are delicious and well made, with the ice cream fresh and refreshing. The taiyaki is well cooked though can be made a bit more crunchy. Price has increase a lot compared to last year.

Your mozzarella eggloo is wrongfully marketed, what you use is just colby! Saw the pack of colby that was used, that is just sad! Edit: Here you go, glad I took a picture. You as the owner seems to be unaware of the products you are selling. Using of colby in replacement of mozzarella is misleading. WOA just use cheese smiling egg waffle as that is considered deceptive marketing.

I had a disappointing experience at this establishment due to the unprofessional demeanor of the staff. They did not engage with customers in a courteous manner. When I inquired about the prices of food items, the staff member responded rudely and displayed a lack of professionalism while serving. Overall, it was an unfriendly experience, and I cannot recommend this location to my friends in Auckland. I also do not intend to visit this store again.

Got the banana/Nutella and choco peanut and sneakers. Waffles were decent, just soft and not crispy (would have preferred a crispy shell and soft chewy centre). The chocolate icecream was creamy and tasted ok. Customer service was nice and efficient. Presentation was lovely. A tad exy at $15 each though.

Egg waffle is our favourite Hong Kong-styled street food. On 23/9/2023, my husband and I went to Eggloo at Sylvia Park especially for their famous egg waffles. My favourite is original egg waffle while my husband’s favourite is cheese egg waffle. Of course, their waffles are not as good as those in Hong Kong and Macau but they are still the best in Auckland. We highly recommend you to try their egg waffles if you live near Sylvia Park or happen to drive past there.
Addie L — Google review
Personally best HK egg waffles in Auckland. The waffles stay crispy on the outside even after a while unlike a lot of other places and they have plenty of ice cream options to choose from as well. Newly added Taiyaki waffles to the menu, personally recommend the peanut butter option.

This place sells really nice Hong kong style waffles. Definitely recommend this place when you go sylvia park. I just loved how they make the waffles fresh for everysingle customer, which means your guaranteed to have hot and crispy waffles ! I ordered the Mango & cream bubble waffle monster and God damn that was delicious. Waffle was crispy and soft but also had abit of a chewy texture which I loved. - Mango was abit more sour than sweet but it was perfect when eating it with the whipped cream because it helped to cut out the sweetness and richness of the cream and waffles. Soul Bar & Bistro is a trendy and modern establishment located in Viaduct Harbour, Auckland. It offers innovative dishes and a vibrant bar scene with views of the harbor. The venue has been a staple in the area for 21 years, known for its lively atmosphere and epic live music. The bar serves unique cocktails like the Judes Law and 10-year-old monk, crafted by experienced Bar Manager Katie Cramphorn.
We dined at Soul Bar for dinner. Our server Liz was very lovely and attentive, she made us very comfortable and answered our questions gracefully regarding the menu. All the dishes were well presented, fresh and flavorful. Good mocktail selection to, which was a nice surprise. It was a weekend evening so it was fairly loud but great, lively atmosphere for an inner city restaurant. Bathrooms were clean and tidy, rest of the staff were friendly too.

We have been to Soul bar on many occasions and really enjoyed it in the past, how ever that last few times we have been very disappointed and specially the last visit was for my partners birthday. We weren't there for the ladies lunch we were paying full price and spending alot of money. The service was so bad one of the waitresses plonked our food infront of us with no words or even a smile and walked off. The food was tasteless and nothing to rav about. We ordered the prawn pasta and it came out Looking and tasting over cooked with a prawn head on top of it with about 3 little bits of prawn through it, the seafood chow was made with chicken stock and not very nice, the fish dish was average along with the 2 entrée we had. We won't be back as we can cook better at home.

Additionally, the cafe has introduced a pop-up Fish & Chip Shop serving classic favorites like battered and crumbed fish, sausages, fritters, calamari, as well as special items such as fish sliders and chip butty. The menu also includes colorful salads that change daily.
Really great place. YES! The prices are big but the portions won’t disappoint. High quality everything. Their burgers are great and their breakfasts are great. I saw a bald man reading a newspaper eat porridge and he seemed really happy. Their chips are perfect. Their staff are all so lovely too. And they look real and unfiltered, not some overly young person just out of high school who doesn’t know what poached egg really feels likes
William M — Google review
This evening (Sunday 18th May 2025) we visited Takapuna beach cafe around 6pm on a rainy Sunday evening. After the well marketed enticing web page advertised fish and chips. The fish as marketed online is Tarakihi or snapper no option was offered at point of sale, or catch of the day… When we opened the takeaway we were visually disappointed in the heavy batter and heavy hard crumb which were overly golden, the batter per portion weighed 200g and the fish itself 100g. Even the lemons had seen better days a little dry and chopped days prior. We were told by one of the team when ordering that our order would be approx 10 mins because they weren’t overly busy - the reality was that our order took closer to 25 mins. A staff member kindly brought our order out to where we were waiting and advised that cutlery and serviettes were in the bag……. Ummmmm nope, neither were enclosed with our order. We peeled back the hard almost burnt crumb and batter glug and ate the fish itself and the small amount of chips. A few weeks prior we ordered fish and chips during lunchtime mid week and it was excellent … in quality and execution of culinary skill, freshness and service. For $48 it was overall disappointing. On a somewhat positive note - the cheesecake was excellent but there was no prices on their cabinet and when we went to pay we were rather surprised to be asked to part with $25 for 2 slices (take away) Overall, The wheels seem to have unfortunately fallen off the cafe over the last month or so … a real shame. Following owners response: Thanks for your response and offer to remedy the issue One point I’d like to make is you say that you stopped serving fish and chips from your pop up on the 11th May 2025… this may be a date typo error as we ordered takeaway fish and chips from your cafe last night - being the 18th May 2025…

We found out way more expensive than other cafes in food selections on menu. Even if they've got the amazing view, seats were uncomfortable. Main menus were all okay. But I could see that waiters do not really know about the details of menu when I asked something. They were all super nice and kind apart from that.

We had a wonderful experience at Takapuna Beach Cafe, where we celebrated a family birthday. A number of us had the crumbed fish and we also had the scampi pasta, the Moreton Bay bugs and the oysters. The food was exceptional and so fresh and flavourful. Azabu Ponsonby is a trendy restaurant in Auckland that offers a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. The menu includes tostadas, sushi, dumplings, sake, and wine. Recently, they have added a selection of delicious ramen bowls to their lunch menu on weekdays. The restaurant has an excellent main dining area for date nights and also features Roji bar at the back with dim lighting and sleek decor for a great night out.
This restaurant lived up to its reputation. It was fantastic. The sushi, sashimi, and other dishes were all delicious, with the dressings and sauces standing out in particular. I went with my wife for a romantic dinner, and the course menu met our expectations. Despite the dim lighting and busy atmosphere, we had a wonderful time. This place met my expectations. The food at Azabu Ponsonby was very good and well presented. However, with the amount of money we paid, we expected much better service. It was difficult to get the staff’s attention and the table service let the experience down.

Fantastic flavour. We were craving minimalistic style Japanese steak. The beef yakiniku was just that. The Salmon was cooked to perfection with a wonderful glaze. The drinks were well presented. I ordered 3 chef choice sashimi 35$ and 200g grill beef. 48$, sashimi is quite average it’s not restaurant level sashimi it’s more like food court level. Beef is not filet I think is from cheap rump steak. It’s quite chewy.. The source come with it is quite average. Service is average. You won’t get much attention. I ask bottle of mineral water 14$ asked for lemon slices ,waitress first brought me a used squeezed lemon part not even a slice. don’t think this restaurant is running by Japanese because there is no Japanese chef and restaurant manager is more like Philippines. Every dish we tried exceeded expectations. Special mention to Vitalina, who looked after us so well. Her service was warm, professional, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. She was attentive without being intrusive and had great recommendations. The cost was very reasonable considering the quality of both the food and service. Azabu is definitely worth every cent – we’ll absolutely be coming back!

I’m so glad I chose to go for lunch here today.. (Friday 31st October)My friend and I wanted somewhere to have a nice catch up/lovely conversation, a bottle of wine and eat some food that was tasty, light and flavourful. We each ended up going with the set menu. Purely because we wanted to try everything! The food was incredibly tasty, fresh and light, which ended up becoming a hot topic of our catch up! - we were both full and satisfied, without feeling like we wanted to curl up in a food coma. Each dish was presented so well! - almost too pretty to eat! We chose the Craggy Range Sauvignon Blanc - which was a perfect match for the food. The service was friendly and prompt - but not in your face. There were only a few tables occupied - so it was perfect for what we wanted. For $150 per person including a great bottle of wine, I think this was reasonable for a special lunch with a great friend. I would definitely go again 😌

Hello Beasty is a vibrant and popular dining spot located in the Viaduct. Since its opening in 2019, it has become a favorite among locals. The restaurant offers a creative fusion of East Asian and New Zealand cuisine, drawing inspiration from Japan, Korea, and China.
Popped in after our flight to the city of sails, friendly and welcoming staff. Helpful at explaining the Asian - New Zealand menu with a smile. We only had the Black Estate Chardonnay after a long night out before hand, and it was good. The cocktail menu sounded nice, next time. Tasty dishes and desserts, fresh and excellent quality.

We looked for restaurant for light lunch after walking beside the harbour side, this restaurant rates the highest among. We picked sashimi & lamb and asked if portion are fine with 2 people, staff recommended prawn toast which I forgot to take picture😫 it’s crispy and tasty too! Highly recommend this restaurant!

The Asian fusion menu was so delicious. They were good at catering to dietaries and even had sake and soju on the menu. We had a great work dinner out and would definitely come back in the future. I liked the location on the harbour too.

Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday meal. We were served by Lizzie who was so friendly and helpful. We didn’t know what to order, so we got the $95 discovery menu. They just kept bringing food out, and everything was delicious! The highlight was the lamb shoulder with a delicious rich sauce, steamed rice & broccoli. The desert of the crème brûlée cheesecake was amazing also. Really enjoyable evening. The music is quite lively & loud, if you want a quiet, intimate dinner then this is not the venue for you

Such a great dining experience. Buzzing. But not too loud. Impeccable service, thank you Georgia. All the staff were knowledgable and helpful. Food was next level. Prawn and crab toast, sashimi - amazingly fresh. Pork belly, crispy and so flavoursome. Slow cooked carrots were just delicious. Drinks menu extensive and well suited. Deserts - I cannot rate them more highly. Very busy. As they should be - book in advance. It was our last night in NZ and a brilliant end to a truly great epicurean tour of the north island. Thank you so much.

A good example of Asian fusion cuisine. Overall, everything was good. Nothing particularly bad, but also nothing especially memorable. The staff were attentive and professional, just as you'd expect at a fine restaurant. However, the atmosphere felt more like a pub during busy hours. Distracting due to noise from guests, the kitchen, and loud background music, making it hard to hold a proper conversation.

Had such a good meal when I ate here during my vacation! I haven't had a week since without thinking about it! The staff was kind, prices were reasonable, the location is perfect, nothing bad to say; I will come back to New Zealand, and visit Hello Beasty again for sure!

Georgina was a lovely host. The food does take a while to come out but it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, the cheesecake had just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sugary and the dumplings with the sauce.... it hit the spot. I like that some items can be reduced in size to accommodate a person who is eating by themselves.

Turkish restaurant
Turkish Restaurant Feriza's is a delightful place to enjoy delicious cuisine from Turkey and Greece. The restaurant has been in business for over 20 years, and the brothers behind it are passionate about sharing their knowledge of these countries' culinary traditions with Aucklanders. Specialities include gozleme (a type of Turkish sarma), slow-cooked lamb, and pita bread filled with exquisite ingredients.
This elegant Turkish restaurant was a fantastic choice. I visited with my colleagues for a Friday lunch, where we ordered their signature dishes and some nibbles to celebrate. I had the Adana Shish, which included a lamb skewer and a variety of vegetables - the combination was excellent, making for a truly delicious meal. My colleagues ordered different dishes, and judging by their happy expressions, they thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. The service and ambiance were outstanding, creating a great dining experience. I’ll definitely bring my wife next time. Highly recommended!

Feriza’s Turkish/Greek food is a flavor explosion—fresh, vibrant, and downright delicious! The service is warm, attentive staff. Cozy ambiance, perfect for any occasion. From succulent dishes to top-notch hospitality, Feriza’s nails it. A must-visit gem for a memorable dining experience! Five stars!

On the waterfront in the Wynward Quarter this was a great Turkish find. We ordered a Chocka Riwaka IPA, coke, calamari, lahamajun street pizza and Feast kebab (beef and chicken). All was perfect, absolutely spot on and as big fans of Turkish food we can highly recommend. So good we went back again to have the Haloumi chips, slow cooked lamb and the beef iskendser

I went to this place for dinner tonight and the food and service were absolutely sensational. I ordered the mezze platter with extra lamb and the grilled octopus. The mezze platter came with a generous variety of dips, cold dishes, and breads — it was such a fun and delicious experience trying all the different flavours, and everything was outstanding. The grilled octopus dish was equally impressive, with tender octopus, grilled vegetables, and a fresh, tangy salad that really brought the plate together. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're after top-quality Turkish/Greek-style food!

Had dinner here, the service was quick and efficient and the actual Restauraunt is very spacious, had room to push my chair in and out without being squished which made me feel at ease with dining here. The meals were full of flavour and large portions for the price which was a plus. Also they offer blankets free of use to put round yourself on the tables as it gets cold later The Restauraunt is Turkish food for anyone that’s wondering

Been past this restaurant many times in the past (on our way to our favorite Wynyard Grill). Today we decided to have lunch here. We were pleasantly surprised. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, delicious Turkish food. The Tiramisu was on the dry side. Gave 4 stars as toilet could have a bit more attention.

Took my partner here for a birthday dinner before a show at the Auckland theatre around the corner. Loved all of it, will definitely be back

Lebanese restaurant
Restaurant
Gemmayze Street is a family-owned Lebanese restaurant located in St Kevin's Arcade on Karangahape Road, also known as K Road. The venue, named after the main dining street in Beirut, offers a modern and minimalist setting with Middle Eastern influences evident in its decor. The chef, Samir Allen, draws inspiration from his Lebanese heritage and uses New Zealand's seasonal produce to deliver authentic flavors.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Now I understand why Gemmayze Street was voted No.1 — this place is outstanding! The chicken shish is hands down the best I’ve ever had: juicy, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. The saffron rice with raisin, walnut, and a touch of sour creamy sauce is absolutely delicious — a perfect balance of sweet, nutty, and creamy. The hummus is also a standout. It has a flavour that reminds me of Sichuan chili, but without the heat — super unique and addictive. The lamb was decent, pretty standard compared to everything else. I also tried their new dessert — it was okay, just not quite my taste. Overall, a fantastic experience and a must-try if you’re in the area!

Recommended!!! A lovely Lebanese restaurant run by a family with a long history from Lebanon. Although I’ve tried many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurants, this one still impresses me and brings pleasant surprises! Great food, friendly and super nice staff. P1. Hummus 5/5 Creamy and savory hummus served with crispy herb bread. The spiced oil tastes like a mild chili oil — aromatic and flavorful without being spicy. Together with the crunchy peas, it’s simply delicious. P2&3. Jazar – Roasted Carrots 2/5 The roasted carrots are soft and juicy, paired with sweet and sour pickled carrot shreds, crumbled nuts, and a special white sauce on top. It’s tasty, though not my favorite dish. P4&5. Pan-Fried Fish with Spinach and Brown Creamy Sauce 3/5 The fish skin is perfectly crispy, while the meat inside is tender and delicate. The brown creamy sauce has a slightly sour and savory flavor that complements the fish beautifully. P6&7. Kenef – Dessert 5/5 The orange blossom syrup is wonderfully unique, carrying the fragrance of refreshing orange peel and blooming flowers. It’s transparent and the consistency is clear and light. The kataifi pastry is crispy and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, it’s an absolute delight.

A bit disappointing for what was the best restaurant in Auckland in 2024 (the viva awards) and to be fair reviewed with that in mind. Service was pretty patchy, front of house was good but we had 4 different servers, two of which just plonked plates down and ran away without any communication. Was kind of odd. The food was ok. But some of it was luke warm, the carrots (for example) were overcooked and I’m not 100% sure that the fish was “of the day” - I do eat a lot of fresh of fish :) Atmosphere was (and no fault of restaurant) a bit noisy and echoey so for a quiet meal you may want to be inside … the view from St Kevin’s arcade tho is pretty awesome. M’s Lebanese style coffee was a good end to the meal. The shredded pasty dessert and the lamb were the highlights. $380 for four. A bottle of wine, 2 beers and 2 extra glasses of wine. So good value.

Fan of the place just due to the Babagnoush. Perfect Chicken. Amazing flavours in everything. Great service and ambience. Couldn't get the view of sky tower, maybe next time as we did not book ahead. Wasn't sure of the $120 hold on the CC for booking but I underanat the need for it. Parking was a bit challenging as it always is in the city. Try Cross Street, Wilson. $15 Casual/Night.

Had one of the most unforgettable meals at Gemmayze Street. The kibbeh nayyeh with venison was insanely delicious. The falafel was also amazing — crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. And the bread with baba ghanoush and hummus was unreal — smoky, creamy, nutty, and just perfectly balanced with paprika oil and crispy chickpeas. The lamb skewers and chicken thigh were both packed with flavor, and the red cabbage dish was surprisingly amazing — sweet, nutty, and so well-cooked I still think about it. The tabbouleh and Ossem potato dish were also super tasty. And the desserts? Bombe completely blew my mind — torched meringue with sorbets underneath, just perfection. The Knefe with orange blossom was the cherry on top — fragrant and comforting. Every dish felt thoughtful and full of flavor. Such a special night — delicious food and great memories with friends. Will definitely be back!🖤

Gemmayze Street offers one of the most imaginative and delicious menus I've had the pleasure to encounter. Chef Samir Allen amplifies the possibilities of Lebanese culinary traditions and showcases Polynesian and New Zealand ingredients, such as kūmara, in imaginative ways. This multifaceted approach is echoed in the ambiance of voluptuous jewel-tone blown-glass lights that reimagine mosaic lamps along with warm wooden tables, and sleek Sky Tower views. Menu highlights include the Foule (green asparagus, fried onion, coriander) and Shish barak (potato and chard dumplings, yoghurt, cheese, chilli). A feast for all of the senses. Highly recommended.

Make sure you starve yourself for the day prior to eating here because you’ll want to sample as much as you can on the menu! Super unique eating experience, flavourful and fresh. My drink tasted like Turkish delight. So nice to see a kitchen full of staff sharing good banter and laughs - with noticeable care going into each dish. Can’t wait to be back in town to do it all over again soon.

Delivery Restaurant
La Porchetta Restaurant Parnell is part of a popular chain known for its traditional and gourmet pizzas, pasta dishes, and Italian mains. With multiple locations in Auckland, including Parnell, it's a budget-friendly option offering a wide-ranging menu suitable for families. While the restaurant can get busy and noisy at times, the food is described as incredible by patrons who enjoyed dishes like porterhouse steak with mushroom sauce and authentic Italian entrees such as beef ragu and carbonara.
It's been 2 decades since last in Parnell but great to see good food & great hospitality hasn't changed. Greeted & seated immediately, friendly staff, varied menu range, very generous portions. We found our server attentive though she struggled a bit with dietary options. Master 6, enjoyed his pizza 🍕 surprisingly wasn't wood-fired but still very tasty incl the garlic bread & the wedges was bang on beautiful! Enjoyed the relaxed dress- code atmosphere. Highly recommend, we will be returning. Merci

I have not been back here since 2004! It was a regular place for my group of friends back than because the food was great. Unfortunately even though the service was exceptional the food was average this time especially the seafood chowder which was more like a soup and no seafood my husband was very disappointed. Overall 3/5 for the food, service was very good and price was reasonable.

Booked ourselves into a glasshouse outside, and we did a dessert and chocolate tasting. Parking was quite difficult, but the setting was great. The glasshouses were adorable. The food was all amazing! So filling! And the tasting was really interesting. Would highly recommend as something a bit different and fun to do.

OK I absolutely love chocolate, and this place I absolutely 100% love now also and would totally recommend. The facilities are clean and tidy but also so unique with their winter garden glasshouse. Me and 5 friends came for dessert and the customer service was top notch. We ordered the waffles, chocolate platter and something I can quite remember. It was absolutely delicious and I will be coming again with the kids and hubby. It was also so cool to see them making the chocolate next door in their factory too.

We booked an afternoon high tea experience at Morningside's glasshouse, which was great. High tea contains a few of savory and a collection of sweets, and we really enjoyed the food. We could choose any drink except the specialty drinks from the menu. Hot chocolate is amazing, and we highly recommend the one with hazelnut praline. The only thing is that we came on a rainy day and the glasshouse was a bit leaking. There were drips falling from the roof behind the chair in the corner. Other than that, the service was great as the staff was welcoming and kind.

A chocolate factory?! Yes please ☺😌 Miann Chocolate Factory & Store sits tucked away from the main road (New North Road). There is limited parking, but is well worth the effort 🚗🚗 They make all their chocolates and products on site. They sell all forms of sweet treats, decadent seasonal treats 🍫, and world class craft chocolates, as well as gelato and sorbet 🍦 They have an online store as well👩‍💻 The shop is quaint, and the staff are very friendly 🙂😀 They are open until 10pm on most days. There is outside seating benches, but they have these lovely, beautifully decorated glass pods that you can sit in, to protect you from the elements, while you sip on a hot chocolate drink during cold, wet, winter nights ❄🧣 I opted for their tasting plate, which changes regularly, and includes their best sellers. It was amazing! The lemon meringue was my absolute favourite, although all of them were delicious 😋😋 I was a bit disappointed that they don't sell coffee. They only sell all things cocoa and chocolate related, and tea. I opted for Rooibos tea (a South African herbal favourite), infused with cacao husk ☕

The staff here are lovely. And I keep coming back for the macarons. They have gone up in price but they are still the best. I would like to see a bit more variety in the dessert menu as it was kinda the same things we were there. That pecan brownie though was delicious

Nice place to hangout with friends. They have glass cabins made to sit and enjoy your food. Pastries were ok. Didn’t enjoy the cheese cake. It was bit sour in taste. Triffle was nice. DOE Donuts, known for its dough-licious treats, has recently opened a second branch in Commercial Bay after the success of its Grey Lynn store. The bakery offers a variety of flavors from classic cinnamon sugar and vanilla glaze to more unique options like tiramisu and key lime pie. Co-founders Grace Tauber and Shenine Dube draw inspiration from their love of Cook Islands doughnuts and their cultural backgrounds to create innovative donut selections.
DOE Donuts is home to the best jam and cream donut in Auckland! Awesome looking store with my favorite Surpreme Coffee, the staff were super friendly as well too. A 10/10 experience overall and I highly recommend to all. James Ashwin

Always loved Doe Donuts. Coolest branding, best flavours and nicest owners. Picked up 15 today for a client meeting and the clients loved them. They did a special hot cross bun flavour for Easter a few years back and it was amazing too.
Ashten M — Google review
Alas, things have changed since my review below as Doe has new owners. The monthly specials do not seem to change online anymore and the DOE Points program seems to have been suspended (picture). Passing by the Grey Lynn location doesn't work well anymore, because they are sold out early. I love pistachio, so thought I'd try the Pistachio Bliss. The donut was nice enough as an ordinary donut, but there was no taste of pistachio. The green filling was more of a custard, without any significant taste to it. What I got was not what is advertised (pictures) So, the jury is out. I will try again in a few months, hoping that things are better. Gourmet donuts, filled with fresh high quality ingredients that are a treat to eat. Monthly specials bring variation across the year. The owners and staff are friendly and offer great service. Look online and visit one of their two locations. You won't be disappointed!

Got donuts delivered years ago and the pinky bar donut had grainy caramel and the chocolate ‘ganache’ topping tasted very compound chocolate-like. The bread was nice though. I honestly can’t remember what other flavours I ordered because I only cared about the pinky bar donut, but they must’ve tasted ok. Nothing too memorable
Nadine L — Google review
Believe the hype about this place. While it's far out of the way for me, I made the trek in to get some donuts. I probably went a bit too late (it was around noon) but they still had some good ones left. I got two donuts to share: tropical and caramilk. I had half of each and enjoyed them both (though they were a bit messy). The actual dough is quite nice compared to the cheaper donuts you would get elsewhere, so I'd say they're worth the cost. The staff in the store were friendly.
Michael D — Google review
These are donuts made for people who love donuts, by people who love donuts. The FLAVOURS. THE TOPPINGS. THE SIZE. They do not skimp on anything. Often when eating a donut, I am happy with the flavour but wish it had more of the filling, or more of the topping or icing - this is not the case with Doe. They properly fill with delicious flavours and textures, and toppings that are not just visually pretty but delicious. The flavours are creative and not limited to just “classic” donut flavours. Some of my favourites are lemon meringue, key lime pie, pavlova, pinky, s’mores, passionfruit, strawberries & cream, Black Forest, white chocolate raspberry (I could go on and on and on….) I have yet to try one I didn’t like, and I am keen to keep trying them all. These aren’t just thrown together and dished out. You can tell the flavours are carefully planned and each donut artfully put together so that it looks as good as it tastes (which is amazing.) I’ve been going to Doe since shortly after opening in Grey Lynn and I’ve talked so much about them, that my friends halfway across the world knew it would be a perfect birthday gift to surprise me with last year. I was over the moon! Doe is, without a doubt, my favourite donut shop in Auckland! If you like donuts and haven’t tried yet, you simply must as soon as possible. You might think they’re a bit more expensive than other donuts, but when you try them you’ll see where that money goes and that it’s well spent. Trust me, you’ll be glad.

Unfortunately there are new owners here and these are not the same Doe Doughnuts they used to be. Same price but reduced in size. I will say, the taste was ok. The store tidiness and cleanliness is a concern.

Went for High Tea for my birthday. Not cheap at $200 with the champagne option but fabulous service -Eric was outstanding. The food was beautiful. We were not rushed & had the best experience. Love that we could go at 4.30pm.

We stayed in the Pinnacle Tower and while the facilities looked nice, the experience overall was a real letdown. Check-in was meant to be from 3pm, but the lobby was packed and when we finally got to the front of the line around 3:30, we were told our room wasn’t ready and hadn’t even been started on. A complimentary drink was offered, but honestly that didn’t make up for it. We didn’t get into the room until 4:15... over an hour after check-in time...and to make matters worse, the carpet and chair were still wet. Not exactly what you expect when you’ve booked a 5-star stay. First impressions really matter, and unfortunately ours wasn’t good. Most staff didn’t seem happy to be there, which rubbed off on the atmosphere straight away. Breakfast was another disappointment, unfortunately. There was far too much candy and sweets laid out, which really isn’t what we want for breakfast, especially as a family. We’d been saving up for this stay for months, so it felt like a real waste. Definitely not the 5-star experience we expected. The positive is that we moved to another 5-star down the road afterwards, and the difference in service and quality is like night and day. At least we’ll finish our trip on a high, but we won’t be back to Cordis.

We loved our stay, from the special treats in the rooms, balloons and a cake as it was my son’s birthday which made him feel so special to the level 14 lounge access which topped it off. We felt very loved and spoilt while we were there for 4 nights, so much so my son wants to go back next year so we will see. Thank you for the great time

My stay was fantastic and I'd say this is one of the best hotels in auckland. Every single member of the staff there was professional, attentive and accommodating, particularly the staff working in the lobby bar/restaurant. The rooms were fantastic and beautiful too. Only one gripe was that the lamb cutlet at that restaurant took more than 35 minutes to arrive and tasted quite mediocre, but the staff offered me some peanuts to tide me over as I waited.

We agreed wholeheartedly that Cordis is an excellent location, with superb facilities and truly, such a fantastic hotel where you totally relax. From the very start, as we arrived at the check in desk, until our time of check-out it was absolutely a great experience. The Cordis staff at reception, Max and Nicky, we rate 5 out of 5 stars!! Offering a very warm welcome and extremely attentive and caring. Dining in the Chandelier Lounge was very relaxing and such a neat way to end the day. Aaron, our waiter, was attentive and helpful with any of our questions. Hospitality at its best! It has been another wonderful stay at Cordis and we take away with us fond memories made. Restaurant
Peach's Hot Chicken offers a life-changing experience with its authentic Nashville-style fried chicken, using a recipe passed down by the owner's grandmother. The menu features various spice levels, including the notorious Holy Cluck. You can savor the flavors with simple servings or indulge in their best-selling Baller Sandwich. The establishment gained popularity for its hour-long wait at a fried chicken festival, showcasing its authentic Nashville hot chicken.
We came on a Saturday evening around 6.30ish and the place was buzzing. There was a short queue out the door, all indoor tables were occupied and most of the outdoor too. As we walked in... we were greeted by Alex who was friendly and welcoming and was advised of a 15-20 minute wait to be seated inside or we could be seated straight away for outdoors. We chose to dine indoors and Alex offered for us to wait by the bar. We bought a couple of drinks and waited. During our wait, Alex (who we later came to discover to be the owner) came up to us a couple of times to keep us updated with our wait time. We were then seated within 10 minutes. We ordered a couple of more drinks, the big dark which came with fries, the chicken and biscuit, the pork gravy and the pimento mac and cheese. Every dish we ordered was an absolute hit! Absolutely loved the chicken and biscuit and the pimento mac and cheese! The flavours were so morish and flavorsome. Beverage wise, the behemoth which was recommended by our waitress was a nice drop especially for someone like myself who is not usually a lager drinker. During our meal, both Alex and our waitress came over to check on how we were finding our meal and were pro active in ensuring we were well looked after and our table was cleared of empty glasses, plates etc. I highly recommend coming here if you are a fried chicken lover! The vibe, the service and the food is 10/10! We have now added this to our go-to chicken restaurant! Thanks Alex and peach's team!

Southern Comfort Done Right! Peach’s Hot Chicken in Panmure is hands down the best southern-style chicken joint I’ve come across in Auckland. Everything you’d expect from true southern comfort food is served up here – bold, authentic flavours, crispy fried goodness, and that satisfying kick that keeps you coming back. The chicken? Absolutely bomb. Juicy on the inside, perfectly crunchy on the outside, and seasoned to perfection. You can tell they know their way around southern spices. The only downside? The lemonade didn’t quite hit the mark – a bit of a letdown. But honestly, when the food is this good, it’s easy to overlook. If you’re craving real-deal southern chicken, this is the place to be. I’ll be back for sure!
Felinto D — Google review
This burger doesn’t just look good—it delicious. The chicken is super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packs a flavorful punch. The pickles add that perfect tangy crunch that cuts through the richness of the chicken.

Outstanding fried chicken - I visited Peach's again after a long time. I forgot how good it was! The chicken was moist while the battery was crispy and packed with punchy flavour. I had the waffles which were super fluffy! 👌 The burger was juicy and hits the spot. Their 1L size drinks are also super handy especially if you're in a group. The peanut butter mousse pie is divine honestly.
Jason S — Google review
Had the chicken waffles, absolutely delicious. The chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly, waffles were buttery and sweet with the maple sauce. Service was fast and friendly. A big car park at the back so parking nearby was easy. Definitely worth coming if you're visiting Auckland or are a local too 😊
Jewell V — Google review
This was my second time dining at Peach’s and I won’t leave so long between visits next time! My chicken & waffles was amazing, so delicious. Enjoyed the Mac n cheese and pickles, the fries were a little average compared to the other sides. The peanut butter mousse pie for dessert was divine and an absolute highlight. As for the place itself, it was very hot inside although they did have an industrial fan going. The staff were verrrrry quick to clear our plates, normally a good thing but we were still picking at the side dishes when they whisked our plates away. The female toilet was in a state, not sure if that’s normal there. Overall a great dining experience with incredible food.

The home of amazingly made chicken, where medium will knock your socks off. Got the big dark because thigh is OP and breast meat is mid. Highly recommended, but wait times on Friday and Saturday may be up to 15 mins.
Ben C — Google review
Great food and fantastic service. Im a big fan of chicken and really love it hot. That's why I come here. I've known Peach since High School and they've always been into really hot chicken, not spicy hot, hot hot. Some people like cold chicken with a salad, or room temperature chicken in a sandwich. Not me and Peach. Hot Chicken all day. Really hot, high temperature legs and thighs.

Fast food restaurant
Mighty Hotdog Chancery, a popular spot for Korean hotdogs, has expanded to Sylvia Park after gaining fame in the CBD, Royal Oak, and Pakuranga. The new shiny silver caravan is located in the mall's foodie laneway and opens daily from 11 am until late. The menu offers a variety of combinations with sauces and toppings that may seem overwhelming at first but are guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds.
Had these in Korea and so glad we found it here!! Clean and well organised place, variety of options and sauces too. We had the ramen and cereal hotdog sticks, would’ve loved if my cereal one had a hotdog too but the cheese was very yummy nonetheless. You have the Aussie tick of approval 🇦🇺🐨 ✅
Mary — Google review
Absolutely love getting korean hot dogs from here, the portion sizes are great and so is the taste! My favourites are the potato one and spicy ramen one. Both mozzarella centre and hot dog centre is great, if you don’t have a large appetite like me, getting a half&half is so great. I also love how you can put your own selection of sauces onto the hotdog. They always make it so fast as well. However, there are no seating areas inside, so usually you have to sit somewhere outside which is a negative when the weathers bad.
Ri — Google review
delicious snacks honestly expensive but good sausage and crispy potatoes no too greasy either and good cheese taste not very fake
Blanc — Google review
I absolutely loved this hot dog concept! I had never tried it before and I truly recommend it. I ordered the cheese and sausage one with fries and it was wonderful. Alsol the guy who served us was super friendly. I’ll definitely be back :)
Abril P — Google review
love it and I think it's worth the hype love the sweet salty combo chewy and crunchy is such a delight on the palate I only gave 4 stars as for first time guests like me I feel so pressured trying to order fast considering the cue were getting longer even adding the sauces is it's uncomfortable to take your time while the rest are waiting
Finedine R — Google review
FINALLY! Finally made my way to MIGHTY HOTDOG in Chancery to try their famous Korean-Style Deep-Fried Hot Dogs. It is the perfect balance of savoury and sweet! If they ask whether you want to roll them in sugar, the answer should always be YES! We had the MOZZA POTATO ($8) with Mozzarella Cheese and Potato Cube Coating, RICE CAKE ($6) with Korean Rice Cake, MOZZARELLA ($7) their most popular with just mozzarella cheese; CHOCOLATE PEANUT ($6) and ORIGINAL ($4) with Chicken Sausage. On the counter, they have an assortment of sauces where you can mix and match and add your own. Absolutely amazing! They do a special with buy four, get one free so we had the original for free.

Korean-style corn dog (deep-fried sausage on a stick that has been coated with thick flour). Recommended item is a cheese rocket which is the most popular one. Usually, opening hours from noon, it is suitable for a light snack for the holiday brunch.
Yuichiro S — Google review
Love the hot dog here! If you like sweet a lot then I would recommend you to add sugar on your hotdog. For me the extra sugar was a bit too sweet but still tasted nice

One of the best hidden secrets in Auckland downtown. Food court with a twist. Lots of nice places to eat. From hotdogs to Vietnamese Spring Rolls, even dumplings. Loved the vibe. Walk around the other and there's plenty of places to eat with a view.

This place is simply awesome!! The vibe when you walk in is SO inviting! The cooks are so friendly and inspired! It is clearly evident in the food that we received! Chicken juicy, proper hot, yummyness. Tots crispy-as outside, fluffy inside. And the salads - so fresh, original, define! Loved everything about it!! Thanks guys! You will see me again any day.👌

We managed to be first for lunch on this Sunday afternoon so had our pick of seating. It did get busier quite quickly once the nearby markets had closed. Service was quick and friendly. Loved the décor and vibe of the place, and the music was a mix of tik-tok favourites and funky reggae which we enjoyed. I can see this being a great spot for any foodie who enjoys posting on tik-tok or insta. I was happy with the selection of vegan options on the menu and ordered the vegan chicken sandwich which came on a toasted bun, fresh crunchy lettuce, a big crumbed chicken patty, cheese and burger sauce. The cabinet salad I received was roast orange kumara, baby spinach and chickpea with hummus. The serving size was regular but big enough for a main. I also got a side of charred greens (kale and zucchini) with garlic chili & almonds and this was my favourite - tasty and a good texture combination with the fresh charred greens topped with toasted almond. My daughter ordered the 1/4 roast chicken with mac & cheese side as well as straight cut fries. The chicken looked juicy and tender and the twistie crumb on top of the mac was a nice touch. She said it was all delicious. Unfortunately we were far too full to try the vegan pie like we had planned but its on the list for next time.

Well what a great chicken burger really massive portion size beautiful soft bun delicious flavours. I will have to come back for another visit to try the salads and desserts, as well as more chicken options.......................2nd visit had the chicken roll with gravy, so good. Yummy toasted bread and lots of gravy

Roasten chicken are moist and juicy. The whole chicken is probably toouch for our family of 4. The fried chicken is super juicy and crunchy. Sweet potato fries and the cheesy garlic bread are to die for. Mac and cheese is good too. Would like to try the signature chicken burger, looks huge from the kitchen to be served to other.

This place was a real surprise. Clean bright and very inviting. Our welcome was so genuine with clear explanations and options. A glance at the orders being distributed looked full of promise and proved to be accurate. Great food choice on the menu and reasonably priced. I was immediately impressed when my order arrived. The burger might very well be the best, and was certainly the largest I've ever dealt with. A true gastronomic challenge you will enjoy. So yes, highly recommended and we'll be back.

Full disclosure: First Table. Delicious roasted chicken at this place. Salads were all very fresh and service was accommodating and quick. Gets pretty busy at dinner. The sweet potato fries were 🔥.

Daldang CBD is a must-visit spot in Auckland, known for its signature creation, the Fatcaron. These Korean desserts are a delightful twist on the classic French macarons, being twice as thick and generously filled. Visitors rave about the creative flavors and beautiful presentation of these treats. The chewy texture and balanced sweetness make them a hit among patrons. Additionally, customers appreciate the special touches such as cute packaging and surprise gifts with purchases.
The location is beside Four Points Hotel Auckland City / Sheraton Hotel . You can get Dubai Chocolate here .Macaroons also taste yummy with variety flavour .
Yanti A — Google review
I came here to try the viral “Dubai Pistachio Chocolate”, unfortunately, it is not up to scratch. Not tasty at all and you can find much better elsewhere. What I did appreciate was the filling to chocolate ratio. While we were there we tried the macaroons which were dry, stale and tasteless. The filling left a fatty film on the roof of my mouth. I wouldn’t recommend either.

Delicious n Yumm Fatcarons, perfect for a gift. Pair it with a cup of hot french earl grey. My personal fav is pistachio🦋
Gloria P — Google review
my most fav fat macarons in NZ 🇳🇿 super yummy 😋
Monster M — Google review
I ordered some fatcarons on the weekend and they were delivered last night (Wednesday). I didn’t receive any confirmation email from the store, or any shipping information. I myself have owned an e-commerce store and it doesn’t take long to sort out an automatic order confirmation email, and a shipping update email. Surely this is something most customers would appreciate. The $15 overnight express fee is the only shipping option offered at check-out. For that price, I would have expected these to be delivered on Tuesday morning the lastest (ordered placed over the weekend), not on a Wednesday evening. Surely it wouldn’t cost $15 to ship within Auckland?!?!
Sofia R — Google review
Innovative macaroons to fat- caroons. If you have sweet tooth this is the place to be . Delicious chewy macaroons. In many varieties to suit your taste. I like the strawberry cheesecake in a shell form . It would be better though if there was a direction signage to the tiny shop would be easier to find from Queen st.
Nazaretha C — Google review
#Macarons# 1. The shop is not big, but clean and sweet, friendly service, specializing in Korean macarons, 4.8 per each 2. Lots of choice, tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake, matcha and more. Shells are not too sweet and filling is kind of hard cream
Lynn L — Google review
Yummy macarons and would recommend! It’s chewy and it’s not too sweet. Some interesting flavours and I would recommend the creme brûlée ! The flavour of the black sesame is not very intense. I personally think the filling is a little bit too thick and cuts off the intensity. $4.5 each
