1Cordis, Auckland

Hotel
Cordis, Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group is a luxurious 5-star boutique hotel located in the vibrant uptown district of Auckland. The hotel offers elegant accommodations with stunning views of the Auckland Skyline and the iconic Sky Tower. Guests can indulge in a variety of dining experiences, including healthy breakfasts at Eight Restaurant, lunch and dinner at The Lobby Lounge, and delectable sweets and pastries at High Tea By Cordis.
Went for High Tea for my birthday. Not cheap at $200 with the champagne option but fabulous service -Eric was outstanding. The food was beautiful. We were not rushed & had the best experience. Love that we could go at 4.30pm.
Anna M — Google review
We stayed in the Pinnacle Tower and while the facilities looked nice, the experience overall was a real letdown. Check-in was meant to be from 3pm, but the lobby was packed and when we finally got to the front of the line around 3:30, we were told our room wasn’t ready and hadn’t even been started on. A complimentary drink was offered, but honestly that didn’t make up for it. We didn’t get into the room until 4:15... over an hour after check-in time...and to make matters worse, the carpet and chair were still wet. Not exactly what you expect when you’ve booked a 5-star stay. First impressions really matter, and unfortunately ours wasn’t good. Most staff didn’t seem happy to be there, which rubbed off on the atmosphere straight away. Breakfast was another disappointment, unfortunately. There was far too much candy and sweets laid out, which really isn’t what we want for breakfast, especially as a family. We’d been saving up for this stay for months, so it felt like a real waste. Definitely not the 5-star experience we expected. The positive is that we moved to another 5-star down the road afterwards, and the difference in service and quality is like night and day. At least we’ll finish our trip on a high, but we won’t be back to Cordis.

We loved our stay, from the special treats in the rooms, balloons and a cake as it was my son’s birthday which made him feel so special to the level 14 lounge access which topped it off. We felt very loved and spoilt while we were there for 4 nights, so much so my son wants to go back next year so we will see. Thank you for the great time
Lisa G — Google review
My stay was fantastic and I'd say this is one of the best hotels in auckland. Every single member of the staff there was professional, attentive and accommodating, particularly the staff working in the lobby bar/restaurant. The rooms were fantastic and beautiful too. Only one gripe was that the lamb cutlet at that restaurant took more than 35 minutes to arrive and tasted quite mediocre, but the staff offered me some peanuts to tide me over as I waited.

Our recent stay at the Cordis Hotel, along with our daughter and granddaughter was so very special. We agreed wholeheartedly that Cordis is an excellent location, with superb facilities and truly, such a fantastic hotel where you totally relax. From the very start, as we arrived at the check in desk, until our time of check-out it was absolutely a great experience. The Cordis staff at reception, Max and Nicky, we rate 5 out of 5 stars!! Offering a very warm welcome and extremely attentive and caring. Dining in the Chandelier Lounge was very relaxing and such a neat way to end the day. Aaron, our waiter, was attentive and helpful with any of our questions. Hospitality at its best! It has been another wonderful stay at Cordis and we take away with us fond memories made. We look forward to returning.
Kaye H — Google review
Astonishing hotel stay, we got the executive club pinnacle tower stay experience that was extremely luxurious with an exceptional spa (Chuan Spa) and incredible room views of the skytower skyline and great club lounge experience with free alcoholic beverages and meals until 9pm. Thank you so much! My other half and I loved our stay and room.. so did my parents (father) ❤️
Shervorne T — Google review
The stay at Cordis, Auckland was excellent. The shuttle to downtown was very comfortable and made getting around easy. The buffet was absolutely incredible—one of the best I’ve had, with a huge variety and top-quality options. The service was warm and professional, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. A fantastic experience overall.

Took my partner here as a surprise for her birthday. We flew in from wellington and were greeted with such welcoming arms. The staff and support were excellent, I didn’t have a bad experience at all. The rooms were set up all nice and they were kind enough to upgrade us free of charge. looking forward to staying here again !! :))

Restaurant
Cornwall Park Bistro is a restaurant located in the beautiful grounds of one of Auckland's stunning parks. The kids' menu offers breakfast options like eggs and sausages, while the lunch menu includes crispy chicken pieces and sandwiches. The ambience is comfortable, with indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff are efficient, friendly, and attentive even during busy hours. Guests can enjoy a delightful high tea experience with scrumptious scones and a wide selection of teas served in fine bone china.
We went to the bistro today. We tried the duck spring roll, eggplant schnitzel, and market fish, and honestly, everything was even better than I expected (and I already had high hopes!). About the duck spring roll, I almost missed it at first because “spring roll” was written in big letters, but “duck” was in smaller text. So glad I spotted it because it was absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the pickled veggies on the side. Definitely a must-try! Even though duck was really good, my favorite was the eggplant schnitzel. It felt so light and healthy, and the sauce wasn’t too much. I loved eating it with the chickpeas—such a good combo. The market fish was amazing too. Everything on the plate just worked so well together. looking forward to the next time.

Fast service, staff are very helpful and friendly. Good food, excellent coffee. Perfect for a warm spring morning after a nice walk.

Very pleased with the food quality, generous serving size, service, and ambiance. A great place for a meal and catching up with good company. We ordered a medium rare ribeye steak, it came more as a medium, but was plenty juicy and delicious. Chips were good too. Wife ordered the eggs Benedict, which was yummy, with eggs perfectly done. And my friend ordered the full breakfast, which was huge and everything was cooked well and had great flavour. Nice vista. Plenty of choices of seating. Alfresco or indoors, which also boast idyllic vistas. Had a lovely experience! Not much to fault here at all!

Extremely busy. It was beneficial to book a table. The lamb shanks was so nice. Table service was good, extreamily busy when we got there. Had to wait ages for our food order. I understand a mix up with the kitchen orders. The establishment and our party came to an understanding on our bill. Good customer service recovery.
James ( — Google review
I ate at the bistro with my family recently and found the food to be delicious. However the service at the establishment was sub par, our orders took 40 mins to come and the waiter come back to ask us what our orders were 20 mins after already taken it. For a high class establishment, I did expect more and while the staff were polite, it was annoying to see other people who arrived later than us recieve their meal whilst we waited. Not sure I will come here again anytime soon.

Such a beautiful restaurant resided on the top of the hill of Cornwall park. The coffee and food is amazing! Both the presentation and the taste 10/10. It’s well priced and delicious. The European guy server was funny and friendly. We enjoyed our lunch here very much. Highly recommend!
Nagezha A — Google review
Relatively busy Saturday lunch time, table of 7 - drinks took 15mins (fizz & coffee) no access for prams on second level so we carried pram up, also made it hard for two 80yrs olds to get up there as lower was full. Food was ordered took 35 minutes for it all to come out (fair, it was busy) missed one plate of food - took another 15 mins for that one.. 2 x sides were missed - had to ask two waiters for that. The extra maple syrup & side of tomatoes took so long to come we had practically finished eating. French toast was nice but as stated - lacking syrup. would be great if maple syrup was offered on side. All in all, food was mediocre, mushroom toast was gigantic serving, sloppy stracciatella and cold food. 2 out of 7 of us enjoyed food, rest will not go back. Would expect better from a high end Bistro in Cornwall Park.

I went this place with my friend to have a brunch. It is nice, cosy and spacious place to have a meal. Nice atmosphere and clean. Staffs look so enjoyable and smiling. Staffs are kind. Food is quite appealing and delicious. Coffee is good. Very enjoyable to have a brunch. Highly recommend.

Cocktail bar
Bellini Bar, situated in the Hilton Hotel at the end of Princes Wharf, offers a glamorous setting to enjoy artisanal small plates and cocktails while taking in breathtaking views of Waitemata Harbour. The bar features floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor balconies that provide stunning vistas of the waterfront and city skyline. Guests can indulge in high tea with a twist, featuring sweet and savory nibbles alongside New Zealand-grown teas from Zealong.
The "High Tea" was absolutely delicious. Great selection of very tasty nibbles. Peach tea was very refreshing. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The "Ice Cream Bonbons" were yum and served in a most excellent way. I am pretty sure I shall be returning for a repeat experience. A "Smashing Time" was had by all who came. It was also noted that the hand cream in the Ladies Powder Room was exquisite.

We came here for a team work event and did the cocktail making masterclass, Frederico was our mixologist and he was fantastic, incredibly knowledgable on all things flavour and alcohol, super friendly, fun and really just made the whole experience. The food was great we pre ordered a few plates to share between us and a couple cocktails beforehand and everything came out promptly and was delicious. Overall the atmosphere is beautiful, right by the water with a nice high end interior, the team had such a great time so would highly reccommend for a team building activity for a smaller group. I definately will be returning to try some more of Fredericos fabulous cocktail creations 😁🍸

We visited Bellini for the Kiwi Icons high tea and we loved it. Food was delicious and we thought very reasonably priced. Bit of theatre at the end with some dry ice. Good tea selection and one cold drink was included. Seating was really comfortable. Nice sea view.

Love the place, the vibe and staffs are very friendly and accomodating. I celebrated my bday there and they don't usually do cake with greetings but they made an exception. I love the cake. Thank you so much Bellini and the team! I will surely come back. ❤️

How good is this place!!! Absolutely stunning internal design - ocean and ship/yacht themes throughout the bar which is in the Hilton hotel lobby, very spacious and private sitting areas and great cozy fireplaces. Ample sitting area inside and outside. The location is fantastic - right on the pier with 180 degrees view of the water. Bar food is very well done and creative - eg pork cheeks croquettes. Coffee is great too, perfectly roasted and smooth. With or without food, it is a great place to relax and enjoy the great interiors and the surrounding ocean.

Did the mixologist class was fantastic. Our teacher Bruno was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable on the history of the drinks and provided a memorable experience for our class. Would highly recommend. 10/10 for Bruno

It’a beautiful place to have a high tea with friends and family. Bubbles, tea and a set of snacks with wide range of dessert available at $89 per person. Vegetarian options are available. It was also pink ribbon themed, raising beast cancer awareness. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Located in the heart of Viaduct, Park Hyatt Auckland offers stunning harbor views and luxurious amenities. The hotel features a range of specialty rooms including the impressive Presidential Suite, which boasts sweeping city vistas, a wrap-around balcony, personal gym, full-service kitchen, and a baby grand piano. Guests can indulge in world-class dining options without leaving the hotel. The enviable waterfront position provides unmatched views across the harbor, making it an ideal destination for a luxurious staycation.
It’s a beautiful hotel in prime place with beautiful views. The rooms are very spacious and neat and clean, washrooms were big and neat. The room we took has balcony to the street side which was beautiful. Love the stay. They have beautiful spa and pool with amazing views. The breakfast which was good but not many options as I went to other Hyatt places. But it was decent. The most interesting thing for us was they have some milkshakes kind of bottles which has clean ingredients which was the best. I’m really impressed with the location which is more likely walkable to so many places, and it’s near the port with yatch which was beautiful. Highly recommend this place

Exceptional stay for New Year’s Eve! We stayed in a Marina View King Room and absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom, separate toilet, and a walk-in wardrobe — very comfortable and well-designed. The view of the yachts and Sky Tower was stunning, especially during the New Year’s fireworks which we could watch right from our window! Facilities like the swimming pool and sauna were top-notch, with clean and well-equipped changing rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was the breakfast situation at Onemata café — the service was a bit slow, leading to a long queue for the buffet, which felt out of place for a hotel of this level. Overall, a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful hospitality property in convenient pacific location. Well appointed warm rooms and amazing amenities. Competent staff service with excellent support for old age customers. Pool, park, lobby, business room, entrance and restaurant area facilities are maintained to a Hyatt high standard. Delightful breakfast meals plan with fresh coffee. Any tourist friendly members are treated very well here. Great place to stay in the city. Highly recommended hotel brand see you again

Hyatt Hotel has to be one of the best hotels in Auckland. I stayed here for one night in a suite room, and the experience was absolutely mind-blowing. I had a corner room with stunning views of the harbour, and the interior was luxurious and beautifully designed. The facilities—including the spa, pool, and gym—were top-notch. A special mention to the Korean lady at the front desk who provided exceptional service—truly grateful for her warm hospitality. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're visiting Auckland!

From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding and truly exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was so clean, comfortable, and inviting that it instantly felt like a home away from home. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making the stay unforgettable—I can’t wait to come back!

I am a proud Aucklander, yet I have stayed at this hotel 3 times!! Although I’m leaving dear old NZ for a while, I will always return to this hotel. Everything here is done with such taste and an eye for detail. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The Spa is serene. The hydrotherapy room is a haven. I’ve stayed in a lot of places, and I rate this one of the best anywhere.

Wonderful coffee and patisserie. They do such gobsmackingly tasty treats like the ginger crunchslice, Macadamia & Oat slice, lemon crumble slice plus macaroons plus beautiful cupcakes. Our 2nd visit and love this place.

I recently tried the Tiramisu Cake Jar from Bluebells Cakery, and it was absolutely delicious! The cake was fresh, rich, and perfectly balanced with flavors. The bakery itself is very nice, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. What I loved most is the variety they offer – from cheesecakes and muffins to macarons, pastries, and these amazing cake jars. There are so many tempting options to choose from, and everything looks so fresh and inviting. Definitely a place worth visiting if you have a sweet tooth. Highly recommend the tiramisu cake jar!

How good! Love the range of cup cakes and a key is to order online ahead of time including their cake sample box - a slice from each of their top cakes. Gluten free options taste great. Friendly staff. Definitely returning ...they also do a take away high tea set up. Great for mums day.

Absolutely amazing cafe and cakery experience, good seating capacity and wonderful cafeteria. Unique find in cbd. Peaceful and pleasant experience. Beautiful and tasty cakes, coffee and much more to explore.

Probably one of the worst cake i had. While he sponge cake base was ok the glazing on the top was sooo sweet and taste cheap aspartame with odd texture... none of the guest finished their slice, finished in the bin. Change your pastry chef..

I gotta say, this store is just awesome. The decor is all pink and super cute, and the cakes are just bursting with color and flavor. I grabbed some macarons and cupcakes for a family get-together, and let me tell you, they were a hit with everyone, kids and grown-ups alike. They really topped off our dinner perfectly. Can't wait to swing by again and enjoy some coffee and more of those amazing cakes. Oh, and shoutout to the waiter who was super nice and helpful during my visit.

Lovely cupcakes. My favourite is the banana it is so moist and delicious and I appreciate that they aren’t too sweet. The icing to cake ratio is just right and they make a lovely gift because they are so pretty. I would also like to say that I had very nice and friendly service from the blonde girl with glasses. She was chatty and friendly even during a rush and her coffee was delicious. She was caring and explained each flavour to me. Thank you for the lovely service and I look forward to returning soon!

As a tourist, my sister and I were looking for some cute cake options for our family’s bday. So pleased to have come across this shop on google with their great selection of cakes and cupcakes. Their food is perfect (the selection that we tried wasn’t too sweet and had a great taste). & to top it off we received such welcoming and friendly service which definitely made this place a must visit. Will definitely buy again during our trips to Auckland.

Cafe
Sugar at Chelsea Bay is a modern cafe located on the North Shore, offering decadent menu items and an interactive zone for kids to enjoy. The cafe boasts expansive views of Auckland and ample space for children to play. It is known for its famous lamingtons and has been recognized in the Top 100 lists since 2020. Visitors can also take a tour of the iconic Chelsea Bay sugar factory in a candy pink train before indulging in sweet treats at the on-site cafe.
We really enjoyed our visit to the Chelsea Sugar Factory! The Interactive Zone was amazing for the kids – lots of fun and hands-on learning. We were hoping to join a cooking class, but it was closed during our visit, so we’ll definitely come back for that next time. And don’t miss the view! From outside the factory, there’s a scenic lookout over Auckland City – such a beautiful spot for photos Highly recommended for families or anyone !looking for a fun day out!
Lennn W — Google review
As part of the Chelsea sugar factory the setting is great, with nice walks along the beach and a playground. However, the interior is sparse and the seats are uncomfortable. There weren’t enough wait staff and service was slow. The food is average but the prices are far too high for small portions, especially the meatball noodles featuring 3 small meatballs for $29! Not much variety with the menu selection. The cabinet food on the other hand is excellent. Although the lamingtons are $9.50 they are large and really tasty, the highlight of our meal.
Joy W — Google review
This place is perfect if you like a bit of a quiet and decent place to try for a brunch. Short walk spot after meal is so handy. You’ll get to walk around and learn stuff about the sugar factory itself!

Very accommodating service! We were initially seated indoors at a table with the sun shining directly on us, and even though it was a busy public holiday, the staff were so helpful and moved us to a more comfortable spot. The food and the cabinet desserts were pretty good, nothing too fancy. There’s also lovely outdoor area and a walking track nearby, which made for a pleasant way to wrap up lunch. Overall, an enjoyable day.

Came here on a recommendation. Place itself is really nice as was the view looking back towards the city. Would be really nice at night time as the city lights would look great. We were met by staff and shown to a table near the outdoor section. We ordered a salmon based salad, a pastrami toastie, a Peroni beer and an iced lemon tea.Total cost about 70 dollars. Not cheap but pretty standard for 2 people in Auckland. Salmon salad was nice and toastie was so so. Iced lemon tea was a little short on lemon. What stood out the most was the service and prompt delivery of the food. Took approximately 10-12 minutes after ordering. Nice place for a coffee or a snack. Service was excellent. 4/5 stars.

I booked this lovely Cafe/Restaurant for a special occasion recently. The online booking system was easy and confirmation emails were sent which was appreciated. The food was outstanding and delivered in a timely manner. Two of us had the Workers Breakfast and the third person ordered the Waffles. Our waitress was very busy but still happy to take photographs of our group after the meal and other staff were friendly and helpful. My husband was rapt with the raspberry lamington that we took home for him. I would be delighted to return to Sugar at Chelsea Bay and look forward to dining here in future.

Stamford Plaza Auckland is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of the city, offering top-notch accommodations and a range of amenities. The hotel features plush rooms, a fitness center, and an indoor pool for guests to enjoy. Food enthusiasts will appreciate the four exceptional restaurants on-site, including options for high tea, teppanyaki, and cooking classes. Additionally, guests can unwind at the two bars within the hotel premises.
Awesome, great location, staff friendly, hotel amenities exceeded our expectations. Disappointed about the housekeeping, no clean towels or even robes. The access card was very annoying to deal with especially in the elevators as you have to keep swiping to go up or down or else it would not go. Overall good experience.

Do not stay here! We arrived at 4:45 and our rooms “were not ready” so we waited 2hrs with many other frustrated guests. The staff although doing their best couldn’t give us any information as to what the hold up was and kept offering free chocolate and drinks to make up for the wait time. They really need to sort their systems out because something is clearly not working. The rooms were fine though.
Kyla O — Google review
I stayed here for a night on a work trip. The hotel lists itself as a 5 star hotel but this isn't an appropriate rating. Maybe it was when it first opened but now the rooms look very dated and in need of a full refurbishment. The staff were friendly enough and the room was a good size. The bed was comfortable but the overall feel was of a hotel past its prime. Good central location however.
David M — Google review
The entrance is grand and lovely, the rooms are nice — I wouldn’t say 5-star worthy but they were pleasant and had basic amenities. Our issue was that we were told very different information from the person who checked us in than the staff member that checked us out in regards to food credit that we were given, which resulted in extra charges. It seems to be a recurring issue as the person checking out ahead of us also had a similar issue. I would recommend they ensure all their reception staff have the same information because their mistakes are costing unsuspecting guests.
Lee W — Google review
Hotel and rooms where well finished, but let down by poor service (they did acknowledge there was not enough staff). 45min wait to check in (some others said they waited 3hrs!). Got to the room and after quick shower to refresh realized there where no towels in the room. Call to room service went unanswered so resorted to using the bathrobe to dry ourselves before heading out to dinner. Nearly late for dinner as the clock in the room was about an hour slow. After telling the front desk on the way out to dinner that we lacked towels and getting an apology and that they'd sort them for us, when we returned later that night we still had no towels. The call to room service in the morning before showers was unanswered but spoke to the front desk who said they'd arrange straight away. Disappointingly, but not surprising, they failed to eventuate and went to make a cup of tea only to find the small milk carton was missing anyway to open it so the wife resorted to using a pen to poke a hole in the top of it. The breakfast was tasty and had enough staff on but the reception still has a queue the whole time we were eating so used the quick check out and got out of there. Lovely hotel and a good price, but let down by poor service and a lack of responsibility from the staff.
Mark I — Google review
Room, which was lovely and spacious, wasn't ready until 5:30 p.m. But with staffing shortages we roll with the flow. Meal and drink service was wonderful. This hotel is within walking distance to the ferry for day trips to the area islands. Take a business card with you for finding your way back. Currently there is a lot of street construction.

Unfortunately our stay here was terrible. Upon arriving at our scheduled time, people ahead of us were already complaining that their check in time was taking more than an hour. Regardless of booking at least 1 month in advance, I was told that they had double booked my room therefore it's no longer available. They advised that they would upgrade us to an Executive Suite for the inconvenience, however there was only one bed and an additional bed would be brought in within another hour or two. After agreeing to this, we were later told that they had located availability for our original room ($323.10 per night for a one night stay in a Deluxe Double Room). This was disappointing, however the check in process had lasted 45mins and we were becoming impatient. In the most respectful way possible, it was difficult to communicate our needs to the reception staff due to the language barriers. Although I'm sure this was mentioned in the fine print of our booking, we were surprised to learn that a $100.00 bond would be required with an additional cost of $50.00 for valet parking (the only parking option available). I queried if the valet parking cost could be ignored due to the current inconvenience (now 1 hour since arriving), however this was not possible. The room itself was extremely outdated for the price and for a 5 start hotel, however it was warm and tidy. There were only 2 bath towels in the room despite a 3 person booking, and house keeping as well as reception did not answer their phone to request more. It was disappointing to learn that the indoor pool and spa closed at 7:00pm, and there were no pool towels available. You're only provided with 1 room access card, therefore it's difficult to go your separate ways with other family members. Overall, I'm disappointed with the price I paid for the experience.
Skye C — Google review
I stayed here 12 years ago and it was great. However, this time is a very different story. First, was checking in. This was very painfully slow process. Clearly there were understaffed. Second, was our room, the bathroom hadn’t been redecorated for a considerable period and of time and it showed - to their credit they did give us another room. The ‘complimentary’ wine was rubbish so let’s leave it at that. We had valet parking but unfortunately they managed to lose our keys. The quality of our free breakfast also left a lot to be desired. Lastly, we went out for the day and when we got back the housekeeping hadn’t been done, we couldn’t believe it… Again, to the staffs credit they came immediately to do the housekeeping. We had a conversation with another guest who said that new owners had bought the hotel 3 years ago. If that’s the case, they really need to take a good hard look at themselves and their approach to hotel management. Let alone the damage to the Stamford brand at a global level. At the very very least is to have the appropriate amount of staff available. Again, this hotels decor looking dated, plus the issues mentioned above and needs a serious amount of work to bring it up to what it was

Nestled just a short stroll from the CBD, Wintergarden Cafe offers a serene retreat from the urban hustle. Its charming outdoor courtyard boasts an array of colorful seating, providing a picturesque view of the gardens. Visitors rave about the exceptional dining experience, with fresh and flavorful dishes like the exquisite French toast. The efficient service ensures a delightful meal, while the convenient location within Auckland Domain makes it an ideal stop during a leisurely Sunday drive.
Beautiful setting for a daytime bite. Busy on a Monday afternoon! Noted the mixed reviews for food/coffee/service - but honestly had a great brunch experience here. Only tried the Eggs (didn't get a drink) but it was nicely presented with very friendly, quick service. Loved sitting outdoors with the sound of the water overlooking the Domain.

Food was well made. However, portion size is smaller for the price that they charge. We ordered eggs Benedict, Crayfish pasta, cumin lamb cutlets, beer battered fish and chips, and mushroom pasta for 6 people and some ice cream. It was really good and loved it. Service could be better and faster. If I am in the area, I would visit again.

Visited the Winter Gardens and got a small break over here, ordered a flat white and a scone which I very much liked! Great spot to hide from the rain 🌧 ✨ I did almost walked into the wrong door since the entrance is on the side of the duck pond 🥹🦆

Think I've found my favourite café but I did visit during the week when it was relatively quiet and parking was easy, which might've affected my opinion somewhat. The service was friendly and efficient. When I arrived they gave me the menus and told me to sit where I liked, and that I was to order at the counter. After I paid, they explained that I could help myself to cutlery, water and condiments, and pointed out where they were. I love places that explain stuff and don't assume that you'll automatically find everything. Had the Eggs Benedict for a bargain $18. It doesn't come with any other protein but you can't complain for that price. Since they were in the Entertainment Book, I splurged and got a side of smoked salmon and a side of hash browns. The dish was delicious, with the eggs poached PERFECTLY and the English muffin being a posh artisan-type, plus it came with a salad. The plate it was served on was so pretty, and that just added to the whole lovely experience. The setting and the view of the the Domain is relaxing and makes you feel very content with life. The super duperest thing was the condiments you could help yourself to: HP sauce, Tabasco sauce, and Worcestershire sauce were the ones that caught my eye. To me this shows a café that cares for its customers. The other touch that I loved was that the seating at the windowside counter were comfy stools that my short legs could easily get myself into.
Della K — Google review
The food was pretty good but the two flat whites we ordered were barely like warm! Also it should have been advertised that the regular coffees only come with one shot, when in fact for that sized cup we automatically presumed it would be a double shot! When they replaced the luke warm coffees they came out so hot we couldn't drink them straight away!
Sue B — Google review
This could be such a beautiful place, but the café has unfortunately lost control of the pigeons and other birds. The animals not only bother the guests on the terrace, but also come into the café and pounce on the tables that have not yet been cleared. You can see from the reactions of the staff that they don't care anymore. For me, this is a no-go and extremely unhygienic.

I am a regular at this hotel for both business and personal stays and there's a reason it's my favourite Auckland hotel... For a start the staff are always amazing and just can't do enough. Being a smaller hotel it has a personal friendly vibe. The food and beverages are always high quality and the best thing is the large, quiet rooms with divine beds and THE BEST HOUSEKEEPING IN AUCKLAND! Totally recommenced :)

I had a one-week stay at the hotel and absolutely loved it. It felt like home. It is very unique in character with personalized service. It is a small hotel, so it doesn't feel institutional at all like many modern hotels. The location cannot be beat, especially after the road works on the corner are completed. The restaurant has a lovely afternoon tea once a week and their morning breakfasts are varied with several options for vegetarians. I absolutely loved my room other than an overly soft mattress. It is very quiet as the rooms are soundproofed. I was in room 2.2, a standard one.

I'm so glad we stayed at this hotel during our initial stay. Everything is clean, accessible, and charming. The staff are so nice and accommodating. This was my favorite lodging on a 2 week trip, and the best way to end our vacation in New Zealand! I've never left a review for a hotel before, but had to here as it was so exceptional. I was even raving about it to friends and family after returning, and will be recommending it to anyone I know who will be staying in Auckland in the future. We booked 2 rooms, and were pleasantly surprised when the hotel upgraded our rooms at no additional charge, plus put us in adjacent rooms. Hotel staff was warm and welcoming from the minute we walked in, which we really appreciated. There were also plenty of restaurants, shops, and tourist sights within easy walking distance, a very convenient location. The rooms themselves were also amazing. All of us agreed that the soundproofing was the best we'd ever experienced at a hotel, and it seemed as though all the rooms had that incredible soundproofing. Besides that, the beds were very comfortable (the most comfy of the trip), and the shower and bathtub were wonderful as well. Each room was spread across two levels (even with a bathroom on both levels!), plus had plenty of common area space. The layout and decor were a delight as well! Another great feature of the hotel is the central indoor courtyard area which serves food and beverages - we enjoyed it one night before dinner (got snacks and drinks) as well as for breakfast the morning we left. Very convenient, and a delicious last meal before heading to the airport! Overall, a truly wonderful place to stay if you're ever in Auckland!

We liked our honeymoon stay one night stay very much. The service was kind, it was neat to receive drink vouchers to the hotel bar, there were plenty of dining and breakfast restaurants in the vicinity, and the harbour was only a short walk away. Bath tub in our room was a nice extra!

Very much enjoyed our stay and if you are looking for accomodation in Auckland, stay here! The rooms and very quirky and fun and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is fantastic and the deep bath is so good. We were given complimentary drinks on arrival and the included breakfast was fantastic. Easy checkin and staff were very helpful. Highly recommended.

Awesome high tea. Great deal. Yummy food. I’d suggest more decor in the barn room would break the wooden look. Entry into the beautiful eden gardens is a bonus!

Really cute place for a relax morning coffee and walk. Service and atmosphere are professional and aimable. I will not order coffee with oat milk cuz they choose a brand tht I don't like. The cabinet was full with savoury and sweet treats. The walk in the garden is sinuous and steep at times, there are a lot of benches for a stop or a gaze around. It was a lovely experience. Thank you to everyone (volunteers and staff).

They can't cook Eggs Benedict to save themselves. I went three times and each time the eggs were hard even though on the third visit I requested that the eggs be soft. Considering you have to pay $12 just to eat at the cafe, you would expect better . C'mon, be better people and look up the meaning of the word 'inclusion' as well as a recipe book. I mean, I presume the food for the high teas come from Eve's pantry anyhow.

Meals taste like cheap supermarket microwavables, coffee is decent though and staff very friendly. Outdoor seats by the trees on a sunny day makes for a great atmosphere. Avoid the stone ground seating area, there's a lot of bugs that likes to interrupt your meal.

At The Aviary, guests can enjoy a unique high tea experience created by chef James Kenny and his team. Served on tiered stands shaped like birdcages, the high tea features a variety of savory and sweet treats. From chicken and leek pastry rolls to delicate scones with cream and jam, the presentation is as delightful as the food itself. This charming setting offers an elegant way to indulge in delectable bites while surrounded by whimsical decor.

This was our first experience having high tea and we loved it. The tea and food was excellent. The staff and open atmosphere was great too. We both agreed the brown sugar scones were our favourite, seriously good. P.s. it is 3 separate courses. We were quite full afterwards. Definitely worth the money.

It was a very good experience. From the moment I was seated, all the staff were very polite. They will even half squat to talk to you, so you won't feel like they are looking down on you. In addition, the staff will ask you how you feel about the meal after a while after each meal is served. In terms of food, the chicken liver parfait was the biggest surprise for me. Because chicken liver parfait doesn't taste like any offal at all. On the other hand, Mango popsicle is a dessert that I have never had in afternoon tea before. It is very interesting and delicious. This is a restaurant I would definitely want to visit again

High tea at The Aviary. We have high tea a lot and when comparing to others we have had, it was one of the best. Slightly more expensive, but with premium ingredients (duck liver parfait for example which was delicious) and really unique dishes too. Good tea options from Harney & Sons. Excellent service. The chefs were great at accomodating vegetarian/dairy free but in a considered (not lazy) way so well done to them!
09 F — Google review
I came here with a couple of friends for High Tea to celebrate their birthdays. While the food was very nice and the service staff very pleasant, the experience felt a little off - there were construction works going on outside, so there was plastic sheeting everywhere. More importantly, though, the Grand Millennium is both nowhere near the central, happening part of Auckland CBD and therefore feels a little "dead". We saw a few guests here and there, but the place felt weirdly empty. The kicker, though, is that the promotional photos and the description - hell, even the name "Aviary" makes it seem you're going somewhere upstairs, with a view. Nope - this is literally in the hotel foyer, and isn't remotely removed from people coming and going; staff and guest alike. The food was very pleasant! A couple of really tasty, interesting nibbles such as the paté and the savoury cake-like thing served at the beginning. The brown sugar cream served with the scones was something we considered holding the staff hostage for in demand of the recipe. It's a shame that so many items on the menu had alcohol - one of my guests and I don't drink, and even if the volume was low, the taste prevailed. The staff member who served us was absolutely lovely and had a good sense of humour. Somehow, it seemed like he was actually not meant to be a direct customer service person; he gave off an air of being a manager or above, so it felt a little odd...but overall, he was lovely. Put bluntly, I would not recommend The Aviary High Tea unless you had a budget to work to - for which case, it is quite nice for the cost per person!
MLN — Google review
I was so excited to enjoy the high tea here, particularly with its unique presentation, however they cut off the bookings for the entire weekend on Thursday evenings (not listed on their website). I was told this is because the food is then prepared in advance and the staff aren't in for the weekend. I would hate to think of how poor things would taste by the end of the weekend that had been prepared days before... I could potentially come back on a future weekend, but with that in mind I'll visit another establishment elsewhere, and likely receive fresher food. I would like to note that the staff working the bar with whom I spoke were very polite and considerate, and made good efforts to accommodate this, so this rating is not about them. It's about a bizarre policy I've never encountered anywhere else in the world (and I have enjoyed more high teas in various cities than I can easily count), and that I hope management/the chef will reconsider, as you've certainly lost a potential customer here.

My mother took my sister and I to the High Tea at the Aviary. We arrived at 12pm Sunday. The food arrived in tall layered birdcages. It was beautifully presented. The first course was savoury. A chicken and leek pastry roll, a delicious club sandwich and a salmon type mouse with crispy thin cheese bread. The second course was a light as crisp scone with cream and rhubarb and strawberry jam and a friand. The third was sweet, strawberry pannacotta and three other beautiful items. See photos. An extensive range of delicious teas were included. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend.
Katrina M — Google review
This is one if not the best high tea I've ever been to in Auckland and I've been to a few. Unlike others you are given each selection of food in three stages rather then all at once. Plus they allow you to choose two different teas with the tea pot matching your cup (not a big thing but a super cool way to tie everything together). They give you a lot of time in between to make for a much more relaxed time. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating, constantly coming around to refill water glasses seamlessly. Onto the food which is amazing. Again probably the best I've had in Auckland. Looking at the food my vegetarian friend received also looked amazing with real effort put into it rather then just random items you often get. A similar price to other places this is a must considering all of the above. It's an easy location if you are parking in the civic car park across the road.

Beautiful views of the city. Dining in Auckland doesn’t come much better than this. The place was clean and the service on point. The staff are thoughtful and think ahead. The food was cooked and presented with excellence. It’s a set menu and the price in the weekend is $119 per head. This was worth it in my opinion. I’ll certainly return in the future.

The food was cooked to absolute perfection! Every dish was flavorful, well-presented, and served piping hot despite the busy crowd. What really stood out was the service — the staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the evening. From the warm welcome to the efficient way everything was handled, it really elevated the whole dining experience. Combined with the 360° view of Auckland from the Sky Tower, it was both memorable and special. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the city

We took our CTO here while they were over from Australia & had such a great experience! Not just the food (which was fab), but the service too. I wish I could remember our waitress’s name, she was so cool! I was a bit nervous going up lol, I’d been about 10 years ago and loved it, but she was telling us what it’s like when it’s windy and had me nervous I will admit! Thankfully, it was calm for us, but even if it hadn’t been, I just know she would’ve made me feel fine with her humour. The food, wine, and cocktails were all amazing. Honestly, the only slightly scary bit is the lift 😅 but once you’re up there, it’s absolute bliss. We went around the city 4 or 5 times during our 3-course meal. We all had different mains, snapper, eye fillet, and duck, Every single one was lush. Can’t wait to come back again!

Great lunch, as it was winter the booking for table were easy. When we arrived 20 minutes earlier, we were taken to the restaurant straight away without delay. The menu was presented and the waiter was friendly and communicative. Took some photos of our party. The food was good. We had the Angus beef and the lamb shank. Deserts were good but nothing remarkable. They had a small special desert to celebrate our relatives there are visiting NZ. That was a nice touch.

Very disappointing experience at Orbit 360. It took over 30 minutes before anyone took our order. The service was poor and disorganized, with no tablecloths and cutlery placed directly on the table. Bread plates were never cleared, even when our meals arrived. Food quality was average and not worth the high price; they seem to charge mainly for the view, but even the windows weren’t clean, and the lighting was terrible. Drinks should be included in the set menu at these prices. Definitely not worth it.

We visited this place and were absolutely delighted with every dish that was served to us. The flavors were exceptional, and each dish was prepared with the utmost care. From appetizers to main courses, everything was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The service was top-notch, the waitstaff were professional, polite, and incredibly attentive. They took excellent care of our group, making sure we had everything we needed at all times. We truly felt special and well looked after throughout our visit. This place deserves the highest praise, both for the food and the service!

Came for my Dads Birthday lunch! Was an amazing experience!! Service and food were perfect! 10/10 recommend!! Shout out to our waiter ( wish I got his name ) who organised a special desert for my Dad!!

Choose this restaurant near the harbour for our first dinner in Auckland. It’s a bit pricey especially for their wines but the food is great. From the oysters to the dessert of petite four they were all good and tasty. The ambience is excellent as it’s just next to the harbour. Though it’s a seafood restaurant the braised short rib we had was very tasty and tender. When we return to Auckland before flying home perhaps we’ll return for other items.

"sir , would you like to have dessert? " "Actually, if I have room for dessert, I'd rather use that space for more oysters". They were that good. I had 3 dozen all by myself. They were by far the best I've ever had. The prawns. Ufff. I was ravenous. Excellent fresh seafood and great service. They will leave a lasting impression upon my tummy and my soul for if gluttony is a sin I am guilty.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We tried the $39 menu at Harbourside and were blown away. The sourdough starter came out warm, perfectly chewy, and the nutty brown butter it was served with was just divine. The green-lipped mussels were fresh, plump, and sitting in the most beautiful sauce that I couldn’t get enough of. The steak was cooked beautifully, and the jus with its rich sauce took it to another level. Sides were also standouts… crisp broccolini for freshness, the cheesiest, yummiest mac & cheese, and honestly the best fries I’ve had in the city. On top of the food, the service was outstanding… attentive, warm, and genuine. The lovely girl who looked after us made the experience even better, and it’s rare to find that kind of service in the city. Highly recommend!

Awesome food and great staff! Would definitely be back here again. Food ordered: Oysters: promo @ $40/dozen and it’s so good we had to order 2! Crispy squid: so gooood, made to perfection! Fish & chips: well battered and yet so tasty! Duck breast: simple but yet so tasty

Fabulous views and great tasting food couldn't quite lift the poor service. We had a balcony table (as requested when we made reservation) but then waited ages for 4 tiny bits of bread as pre-starter. Luke-warm starter arrived, dropped cutlery stayed on floor, wine was poured when waiter remembered. No upselling to 2nd bottle. No upselling of aperitif cocktail. Waited over 20 mins for mains plates to be cleared after having been seen & noted by at least 3 other waiting staff. No coffee upsold. The food & wine were lovely, the ambience and views brilliant but service could have lifted this to 5 star.

Lovely restaurant with great food. Best beef Wellington I’ve ever had. We went twice on a weekend and the beef Wellington was sold out and were told to call in and reserve it. Everything on the menu is fantastic though. Great view and location.

The food is great. Ordered the beef Wellington and tastes great. But just realized there is no special gift for birthday person. What’s more, if you bring your own cake, there will be extra $5 charge for each person at your table. The waiting time today around 50 minutes ( we have already pre-order online though ) ,it is quite a long waiting for my husband but it is acceptable for me.

Went here for family lunch on daughter birthday. Very impressive. Started with the seafood platter and lobster toast yummy. Lobster toast is a must try. Then shared Beef Wellington and lamb roster both first class. Lamb falling off the bone. Sides veg and chips all good. Staff were attentative and most helpful. Really nice outlook just a shame the container wharf is here but would highly recommend Ostro to all. Is expensive but I thought well worth the experience.

Food was absolutely amazing. However, the service was disaster. Service: Lunch time was extremely under staffed. We kept looking for our waiter and nobody checked on us. When the desserts came and we waited for five minutes to get our cutlery. Food: Oyster was fresh, lamb rump was just perfect(tender, juicy and flavourful), beef fillet was delicious and the chicken was tasty. Desserts do need some improvement nothing special.

We dined out at Ostro Brasserie & Bar in Britomart precinct and was instantly impressed with the service and restaurant interior as soon as we entered. From a very industrial looking entrance to the building to ascending the floors to the restaurant, it was stunning to walk into the reception area separating the mood lit bar to the right and the expansive dining area opposite. The maitre’d was a consummate professional with greeting and escorting us to our table. The wait staff were exceptional and the menu was exciting to peruse. I was impressed with the wine list the representation of NZ wines so we enjoyed an Otago Pinot Noir with Antipodes. We started off with the seafood platter and this was amazing with banana prawns, kingfish crude, ceviche, oysters, tuna tataki and croquettes with a trio of sauces. This was the best seafood platter I’ve ever had as the flavour profiles were refreshing and exotic to enhance the seafood. Following on, we ordered the snapper and lobster pie and this was moorish and flavoursome with chunks of lobster and fish in mornay sauce. We enjoyed the pie with Parmesan beignets and a cos hazelnut salad. The sides complemented beautifully. For dessert we had the poached pear with chocolate mousse and a cheese platter. This was the perfect close to a wonderful dinner. Overall, our dining experience was memorable and the ambiance, service and cuisine was truly wonderful. Highly recommended with distinction!

Had high tea here with friends. The food was nicely presented but varied in terms of taste. Some items were outstanding, some were just quite ordinary. One item had cream that was off although the chef insisted that it wasn't. My girlfriends were not convinced though and it's rather insulting for the chef to imply we don't know what we are on about when some of us are proficient bakers and even teach cooking. Why 3 stars? In terms of value, it's a bit misleading. For $55, you will get a savory option each but not the dessert option. So if there are 3-4 of you, you will have to either share or omit from eating the dessert you crave for as they only give one of each item. We were served 1 tray (see images) for 3 of us to share. Tea is limited to 2 servings/cups. You don't get a chance of even getting top ups as they are chasing you out of the restaurant by that stage by clearing your plates and giving you the impression that it's time to bugger off. The view is magnificent for those lucky enough to face the right direction. But would I come here again? Maybe.....maybe not.

On a Saturday afternoon around 3pm we wandered for lunch into Ostro. This place has a great view of the Waitemata harbour and you have the option to sit inside or the outside depending on weather. Great ambience and sitting space. Menu had one main option for vegetarians only. We had hot pot mushrooms and pan sheared snapper plus fries on the side. For a fine dinning restaurant the food was average, customer service was not as expected but the servers were polite. Cocktail was great along with the tap beer. Definitely a place to visit with friends for a drink and to soak in the harbour views.

DeBretts Kitchen, situated within the stylish Hotel DeBrett in central Auckland, is a delightful bistro and bar that showcases modern New Zealand cuisine. This charming eatery boasts an airy atrium adorned with art deco elements and a stunning glass roof, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for any time of day. Whether you're enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the warm and attentive service enhances your dining experience.
Last night, after dinner was done, we went on a wild goose chase to find the holy grail of coffee and dessert spots - and boy, did we hit the mother lode with this place! The coffee was off the charts and the apple crumble was so divine it should have its own fan club - the chef is a culinary rock god! We also fell head over heels for the staff's super friendly vibes, especially Pranav, who's probably the nicest human on the planet. We ended up coming back for breakfast today and it was totally worth it - we can't recommend this place enough and we're already counting down the days until our next visit!

Absolutely amazing dining experience at DeBretts Kitchen. The lamb rump was one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, and the couscous complemented the lamb beautifully. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the customer service was top-notch. Highly recommend this place for a fantastic meal.

Had a great dinner celebrating my friend’s birthday there. The atmosphere was superb-quiet, cozy, and with the perfect ambiance for a relaxed evening. We tried the Restaurant Month August 2025 menu, and the prices were reasonable for such a fine restaurant. Our three different entrées all looked beautiful and were thoughtfully presented. The eye fillet was good. What really stood out, though, were the desserts. Each one was delicious, which makes me think they have a good pâtissier on their team. Would definitely love to go back!

We waited 50min for our food to come, I ordered the steak, chips and eggs....worst cut of steak I have had the misfortune of ever being served full of sinew with over cooked not even crispy but hard chips. Cooke's Restaurant & Bar, situated at 60 Queen Street, Auckland CBD, offers a delightful high tea experience in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The high tea menu features a delectable blend of sweet and savory treats, including lemon glaze scones with raspberry & rosewater preserve and pistachio financier. Guests can also enjoy savory delights like lamb bon bons and prawn brioche rolls.
The food was great! Good selection from the main menu for kids over 10 years old as well if they dont like the usual kids menu. My kids loved the fried chicken and the ice cream sundae was an absolute treat.....quite bougie selection of ice-cream, was divine! Staff were friendly, special mention to our maître d - Sam who was very hospitable, polite and excellent customer service. The ambiance was lovely, highly recommend for a family meal, with friends or even a date night, you will not be disappointed. I am a very happy customer and will return, would like to try their high-tea next.

Cooke’s is located right on Queen Street, in the heart of Auckland’s vibrant CBD. The space offers a blend of vintage charm and modern elegance, making it a lovely spot to unwind. I visited with a friend on a busy Friday afternoon for High Tea, and the service was warm and attentive. The High Tea was beautifully presented with great attention to detail—everything you’d expect from a traditional experience. The selection was petite, offering just enough for a light afternoon treat. Each sweet and savoury item was artfully arranged, and there was a nice variety of teas options to choose from. We also appreciated how accommodating they were with dietary needs. While the savoury bites were excellent, many of the sweets were overly sugary for my personal taste—slightly adjusting the recipes could bring better balance. Also, though the tea was served in an elegant teapot, it cooled far too quickly. A more practical teapot would definitely improve the experience—cold tea during High Tea is a bit of a letdown. That said, I’d still recommend Cooke’s High Tea for its beautiful setting and attentive service. With a few small tweaks, it has the potential to be even more enjoyable.

Very comfortable seating. The entrees were very good, but the main courses were a bit disappointing. I ordered the medium rare scotch fillet, the meat came as promised, but still it was way too chewy than it should have been.

We were given a grab one dining experience from a family friend. I was pleasantly surprised how good the setting food and Service was. There were two of us dining and we had a selection of different items off the menu. All of these were of high standard and the accompanying queen of spirits cocktail was excellent. I would highly recommend when we will be back.
Duncan A — Google review
I live nearby so I wouldn’t usually stay here, but this morning I needed a calm, relaxing space before work and this spot offered just that. (Admittedly, being asked for a room number right at the entrance was a bit abrupt, but fair enough considering the setting.) The coffee wasn’t just served in a standard mass-produced cup, it came in a beautifully crafted piece of ceramic ware, and that made all the difference. It elevated the whole experience, and somehow made the coffee taste even better. In the middle of a busy morning, that small moment of quiet luxury genuinely lifted my mood. It’s the kind of place where even the busiest people can pause and breathe for a minute and for that reason, I’d especially recommend it to those rushing through their day. But if you do have time to spare, all the better. You’ll be able to truly settle in and enjoy it at your own pace. I had the Eggs Benedict. The menu listed bacon, but I was happy to be able to swap it for salmon. The base wasn’t your usual English muffin either...it was hash browns, which added a satisfying crunch. The eggs themselves were noticeably fresh, with beautifully rich, golden yolks. Absolutely delicious. As you’d expect from a hotel setting, the service was top-notch. The staff made me feel truly looked after, it was hospitality at its finest. It felt like I’d stumbled across a hidden little sanctuary to escape the everyday busyness and recharge. I’d say it’s a perfect little treat for yourself on an ordinary day, but also a wonderful place to celebrate something special. The only real letdown was the artificial flowers on the tables. It’s a small detail, but in such an elegant and thoughtfully presented space, they felt a bit out of place. Fresh flowers or even just a more subtle touch...would have matched the atmosphere much better.

Beautiful decor , service second to none. We ate here 2 nights in a row whilst staying in the Fable MGallery. The first night for my entree I ordered the scallops unfortunately the scallops were tiny & only 3 & all over cooked, however the purée beautiful , tasty & silky smooth . My husbands entree was the Pork Belly Roulade - it was amazing , crackling with tender pork , very flavorsome. The eye fillet steak with the butternut pumpkin purée was to die for cooked to ‘our’ perfection of rare . We both really enjoyed this & came back the second night for the eye fillet again. Well done !!

Huami, located at SkyCity in Auckland, offers a sophisticated dining experience with modern twists on traditional dumplings. The restaurant features various dining options, from intimate tables to private rooms and large group tables. Known for its excellent Cantonese cuisine, the bar serves Instagrammable cocktails made with premium spirits and liqueurs. The interior is as impressive as the drinks menu, boasting an extensive wine list and rare spirits.
We had dinner at Huami on Sunday, May 18th, and it was an outstanding experience. The food, the setting, the cocktails—especially The fox tail and the jade Dragon—were all exceptional. What really made the difference was the service: attentive, professional, and genuinely caring, even though we arrived close to closing time. We felt welcomed and well taken care of from start to finish. A truly memorable evening—we’ll definitely be back!

I enjoyed the atmosphere of this Chinese restaurant. It's clear they've put effort into creating a clean and fancy environment with a good vibe. The service was also attentive. However, while the food was perfectly acceptable, it lacked that special something to make it truly memorable. The flavors were good but felt quite similar to what you might get from a standard Chinese takeout, and for the price, I was anticipating a more elevated and distinct taste.

The passionate owners believe that food brings people together, which is reflected in their modern yet inviting atmosphere. Set within a beautifully restored villa adorned with pastel pink decor, Moxie offers an eclectic menu filled with inventive dishes designed to delight every palate.
Great place for dinner! The atmosphere for this place is just right with the lighting going well with everything. The servers were friendly being knowledgeable with the dishes. The Beef Wellington tasted great, the meat itself was cooked perfectly with it melting in my mouth. The oven baked cauliflower was just amazing. The flavours definitely goes well together, having it inspired by Indian spices probably. The price was pretty respectable for the quality of the food, service and place.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Every dish we tried was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Highly recommended – a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions!

It was almost full house ! Waiting long time to have the mains delivered to our table. It was worthwhile for the long waiting as the foods are so good. The Beef Wellington was their signature meal and tasted so tender and tasty. The crumbed lamb cutlets was another must try. The service was excellent and friendly. They always apologised for the delays due to a big group of customers. The foods are exceptionally delicious and good value.

Atmosphere at Moxie is warm and welcoming. The service is friendly and helpful. The food is well executed and delicious. The standout dishes were the oxtail risotto and the pear and walnut salad. The fried chicken was tender and juicy. The massaman lamb wasn’t very authentic, but it was tasty. The pear tarte tatan had a very strong ginger taste that I enjoyed, but could be quite overpowering if you don’t like ginger. The two dishes I wouldn’t order again were the heart of cabbage, and controversially their signature dish, the beef wellington. The beef was tender and cooked perfectly, but the mushroom paste surrounding it was very salty and the pastry was stodgy without adding any flavour. I found it underwhelming, but the rest of the meal made up for it.

If you're a fan of delightful baked goods, then Little & Friday is a must-visit destination. This charming bakery has made waves with its mouthwatering offerings, from exquisite single-serve cakes to gourmet pies and indulgent doughnuts. Their lemon and coconut cake remains a timeless favorite for many, even after years since first tasting it at their original Belmont café.
Been here or have had food from here a few times. Today we had this bread thing which had rosemary and cheese on top, it was very good. We also had the cinnamon donut and also the banana and caramel cake which was also pretty good. We quite enjoyed their coffee here also. This place is pretty busy, so one thing not so good is that seating are often crowded, so don't always get a place to sit. Also the chairs and tables are not cleaned properly, so one thing that can be improved is probably cleanliness. Otherwise, food here is awesome and I will definitely be back and hopefully they have their famous cream donuts in stock next time.

Nice vibe and so many desserts and pastries in the counter. We picked the doughnut and ordered coffee and chocolate. The doughnut was so filling, the cream and the raspberry sauce match perfectly. Hot chocolate was so great, love how strong the chocolate flavor and creamy.

A friend and I had lunch here after shopping in Newmarket - we were pretty ravenous. We ordered Earl Grey tea, fruit soda, Parmesan and fennel pasta, a savoury scone and a coconut and lemon cake. The cake was very tasty and had a great combination of flavours. The dinosaur toy is their version of an order number. Went here for lunch as I occasionally work in Newmarket and I went well after lunch and my lunch (haloumi sandwich) was discounted, which a nice surprise. Was told about the Foodprint app which tells you where there are food items that need to be sold quickly (usually around closing time) and it's a great bargain and more importantly reducing waste. Sandwich was tasty except for the lettuce - goes a bit weird if you opt to have your sandwich toasted. The raspberry cream doughnut was the highlight for me - super yummy.

We visited Little & Friday over the weekend. There was a lot of parking outside, but as usual for Auckland, not many free spaces. The cafe itself was spacious, clean, and bright. There were lots of free seats, with most people ordering takeaways when we were there around noon. The man who served us was incredibly helpful with describing what was in the cabinet and how best to serve it (e.g., how long to heat it if taking it away). We had a hard time choosing, but ended up having a breakfast focaccia bursting with flavour, a very cheesy croque monsieur, and a light custard/berry pastry. Everything was incredibly delicious and filling. The bread was incredible. Can highly recommend to anyone looking for a chill cafe with delicious food.

Nestled in Howick, The Tearooms at Shamrock Cottage is a delightful café that offers a cozy retreat you never knew you needed. With its inviting atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to catch up with friends by the fire on chilly days or enjoy the sun-drenched courtyard when the weather permits. Their menu features delicious options like eggs served on crispy ciabatta or hearty potato and herb cakes topped with bacon or salmon—definitely worth trying!
A cute café situation out of a cottage in Howick, such a nice setting. There is a surprisingly large amount of space both inside and outside for seating. The food is simple but done well without anything unnecessary added. I'd particularly recommend the French Toast for a delicious meal. Service was exceptionally prompt, with food delivered and cleaned up quickly.

Service was good, the food was good, sitting outside was great. I really like that it is a little cottage turned into a cafe / tearoom. Really homely and warm. Not going to win any awards but this is the sort of place that becomes your local spot for breakfast where you always feel comfortable.

After finding the howick cafes packed we decided to take a bit of a wander to see what these tearooms were like. It was well worth the extra walk and the location is perfectly placed for views and the lovely garden around the front and back. The front balcony was a lovely cool spot out of the sun. The food options are equally fabulous with awesome menu and a cabinet full of great cakes and savoury options. We stuck with the cabinet as it was morning tea and enjoyed both a caramel slice and apricot and date slice. The coffee was also tasty and meant we thoroughly enjoyed this stop. We will be back to try the other options soon Edit: have come back many times and the food is always great, finally took a photo before starting to share

I was extremely disappointed to witness the behavior of one of the managers during my recent visit. The manager was yelling at a young staff member in front of customers, which was both unprofessional and unacceptable. This kind of conduct not only creates a hostile work environment but also leaves a very negative impression on customers. Staff deserve to be treated with respect, and such behaviour is simply disgusting and inappropriate for a workplace.

Miann Chocolate Factory is a dessert lover's paradise with multiple locations in Auckland, including a flagship store on Fort Street and other venues in Britomart and Morningside. The stores offer an array of delectable treats such as bon bons, mousse gateaux, macarons, gelato, sorbet, homemade chocolates, cakes, and waffles.
Such a beautiful place....the glass houses make for a beautiful setting. Beautifully decorated. Amazing service - everyone so cheerful and courteous. Food so delicious...like a 5 star kinder surprise. Highly recommend for high tea.

Recommended by a friend. Loved the glass houses. Lovely vibe and decorated due to the holiday season. Unsure if they can be reserved, more a first come first served basis. Beautiful looking desserts. Enjoyed dessert platter. Would love to come back and try other items on offer.

Booked ourselves into a glasshouse outside, and we did a dessert and chocolate tasting. Parking was quite difficult, but the setting was great. The glasshouses were adorable. The food was all amazing! So filling! And the tasting was really interesting. Would highly recommend as something a bit different and fun to do.

OK I absolutely love chocolate, and this place I absolutely 100% love now also and would totally recommend. The facilities are clean and tidy but also so unique with their winter garden glasshouse. Me and 5 friends came for dessert and the customer service was top notch. We ordered the waffles, chocolate platter and something I can quite remember. It was absolutely delicious and I will be coming again with the kids and hubby. It was also so cool to see them making the chocolate next door in their factory too.

We booked an afternoon high tea experience at Morningside's glasshouse, which was great. High tea contains a few of savory and a collection of sweets, and we really enjoyed the food. We could choose any drink except the specialty drinks from the menu. Hot chocolate is amazing, and we highly recommend the one with hazelnut praline. The only thing is that we came on a rainy day and the glasshouse was a bit leaking. There were drips falling from the roof behind the chair in the corner. Other than that, the service was great as the staff was welcoming and kind.

A chocolate factory?! Yes please ☺😌 Miann Chocolate Factory & Store sits tucked away from the main road (New North Road). There is limited parking, but is well worth the effort 🚗🚗 They make all their chocolates and products on site. They sell all forms of sweet treats, decadent seasonal treats 🍫, and world class craft chocolates, as well as gelato and sorbet 🍦 They have an online store as well👩‍💻 The shop is quaint, and the staff are very friendly 🙂😀 They are open until 10pm on most days. There is outside seating benches, but they have these lovely, beautifully decorated glass pods that you can sit in, to protect you from the elements, while you sip on a hot chocolate drink during cold, wet, winter nights ❄🧣 I opted for their tasting plate, which changes regularly, and includes their best sellers. It was amazing! The lemon meringue was my absolute favourite, although all of them were delicious 😋😋 I was a bit disappointed that they don't sell coffee. They only sell all things cocoa and chocolate related, and tea. I opted for Rooibos tea (a South African herbal favourite), infused with cacao husk ☕
Joanie B — Google review
The staff here are lovely. And I keep coming back for the macarons. They have gone up in price but they are still the best. I would like to see a bit more variety in the dessert menu as it was kinda the same things we were there. That pecan brownie though was delicious
Kezia L — Google review
Nice place to hangout with friends. They have glass cabins made to sit and enjoy your food. Pastries were ok. Didn’t enjoy the cheese cake. It was bit sour in taste. Triffle was nice. Not more options of coffee only black coffee available. They have lots of varieties of macrons, chocolate, home made gelato in variety of flavours for all their items.

Nestled in a charming shopping area in Ellerslie, it's not just about the cakes; the atmosphere is vibrant with families enjoying their day out.
Fantastic !!!! What can I say. One of the best cakes I’ve had. We had the Lemon Curd and Boysenberry. The cake was moist and flavours on-point. Ordering and pick up easy, staff and advice on cake management all adds to the service Highly recommended A++++

Few weeks ago found Mint Cakery and have since tried beef cheese pie, both flavours of sausage roll, cinnamon scroll and hot chocolate. in my 20plus years of traveling around Auckland and trying local cafe food this is by far the best place the food and service is the best quality around. Seriously the food has come from Heaven!

The lemon and boysenberry cake I got for my mums 65th was outstanding. I had so many people come up and ask where it was from and say how amazing it was. Highly recommend

Came after watching Michelle on Tik Tok and purchasing her recipe book quite some time back. Her cakes are just as amazing as they look. The hot chocolate was really nice with that chocolate marshmallow! Loveeeeed that lemon curd cake .. soooooooo good !!!!! Would definitely come back for more. The lady that served me was also very nice 👌

We live in the UK, our daughter in Auckland as she was celebrating her special birthday with friends I wanted a cake for them all so I emailed Sam at Mint Cakery who happily obliged with an amazing lemon and boysenberry cake delivered on time with no dramas. Zoe was thrilled with her surprise and loved by her friends too. Perfect in every way. Recommend them every time for service, delicious cakes and lovely Sam.

Dropped into Mint Cakery because I stumbled upon their new cookbook at paper plus this week, and thought I had to try it out before buying the book. Wasn’t disappointed. Cinnamon bun was really great - super moist with a generous amount of cream cheese frosting. The gluten free chocolate raspberry cake was just as good. Haven’t tried the donut yet, but I’m sure it will be amazing. Thanks guys!

Great food but budget coffee brand. Was my daily stop for a morning coffee and snack until the one day I dared turn up 2 minutes before opening time and gingerly knocked on the door wondering if they'd be interested in making me a coffee 2 minutes before the official opening. I was caught well off guard by the angry and rude staff member who informed me they weren't open. I went back to my car which by then there was 60 seconds until opening time, it felt too awkward to go back again, she obviously wasn't in the mood to serve people, so rather than bother her I went elsewhere and have never been back. You can't talk to your daily customers like that and expect them to return. I made a poor judgement call thinking you'd be OK to serve a coffee 2 minutes before opening. If you don't like your job or can't act civil to the people paying your salary, probably time you moved on.

Love the hotel overall! The room is now kinda new design renovated. Look amazing and fresh! On top of that is the staff I met is very nice, helpful and attentive. Shout out to Mr.Mervin at the reception who helped me sort out the issue I experienced due to the noise of construction with his smile and great attitude. Thank you so much. I really enjoy my stay here.

Recently stayed for two nights in the junior suite for a second time. Had brilliant service right from the start considering they were extremely busy with conferences. Even leaving the attendance helped us with our park and reversing. Pool was perfect temperature. Sky city a short stroll. Highly recommend this to anyone. We will be back for sure when visiting Auckland

We are returning guests, a little treat for hubby and I. The room we were given unfortunately had no hot running water, called reception and I was advised that engineering staff were not on site but was immediately transferred to a room that had hot water. Easy and friendly staff and big clean rooms. The All backs game was happening tonight and the hotel was full and parking was a bit difficult, we had to move some old furniture to create a spot to park in, all very minor but overall we had a great stay and would recommend the Grand Millennium again. Excellent view of the sky tower.

My wife and I recently stayed for one night, and everything about our experience was absolutely fabulous. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and professional — they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and valued. As a Prestige Member of Millennium Hotels, I had the pleasure of accessing the Prestige Lounge, which was an outstanding experience. The lounge offered a great selection of food, drinks, and refreshments in a calm and elegant setting — a perfect way to unwind and enjoy some quiet time. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully presented, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to ensure comfort. The hotel’s overall atmosphere exudes class and sophistication, and its central location makes it ideal for exploring Auckland. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and the high level of service throughout our stay. I would highly recommend the Grand Millennium Auckland to anyone looking for a refined and memorable experience in the city. We’re already looking forward to returning!

Exceptional Stay.. Our Home Away from Home We recently returned to the Grand Millennium, which truly feels like our home away from home. Although officially rated as a 4-star hotel, it easily deserves 5 stars and more. Every aspect of our stay; from the service, spotless rooms, and parking convenience to the delicious breakfast and the superb Ember Restaurant, exceeds expectations. The buffet is world class most NZ buffet are minimal the Millenium buffet is huge. A special mention to Executive Guest Relations Officer Brigid and the entire team, who always welcome us like family. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality make every stay memorable. Highly recommend the Grand Millennium; a hotel that consistently goes above and beyond!

The hotel was better than great, and the staff service and attention to detail were outstanding. Brigid and the team were attentive and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including fresh fruit, traditional cooked items, porridge, and cereals, something for everyone. Parking was also convenient and hassle free. Overall, a very pleasant experience, will be back in the Spring.

We are on a 3 week holiday in NZ, starting at Auckland whilst staying at the Millennium Grand Hotel. Our first experience was being shown to our room which already had someone else’s luggage. At 8:30pm we advised the front desk that the air conditioner was not working. The concierge (not a technician) came to our room and commented that the the ac may not be working and left. We were exhausted and retired early only to wake up at 10:30 pm to a sauna like atmosphere and on speaking to the front desk we were given another room to sleep in. After this harrowing experience, when we spoke with the manager in the morning, she repeatedly said that “IF there is a problem” then she would try to have the ac fixed or moving rooms would be required. Our conversation with her was one in which we were made to feel that our complaint was neither valid nor of any importance. We are truly disappointed by this 0 star experience. We returned to the hotel today evening to be given various options with caveats. As customers we have been made to feel that the hotel is doing us a favour. The only reason we decided to stay at Grand Mellinium Auckland was because we stayed at Grand Mellinium for our 10th anniversary at Grosvernor Square, Mayfair, London. Upon our return to Grand Mellinium Auckland today evening we communicated our decision to change the room. The concierge staff came across to the room and asked us to carry 2 suitcases to the new room ourselves. We had to request him to bring the strolley to carry our suitcases. We are booked at Mellinium throughout our journey in New Zealand; I shudder to think what further unprofessional treatment we will be subjected to. The placard shows their proud heritage of 145 years; lot to be desired for Grand Mellinium Auckland. Grand Mellinium is sorely mistaken if they think customers who are travelling business class to stay at 4 or 5 star properties over an 3 week period are looking for handouts from the property.

Guests can enjoy modern, sustainable seafood-focused dining, an outdoor heated lap pool, and spacious suites featuring wraparound balconies overlooking Hauraki Gulf and Auckland Bridge.
We had an amazing two night stay here this weekend for our 30th Anniversary! Hilton Auckland is a great location, provides the best service from the time you arrive. Harbour view room was spacious and loved the view! Lots of ferry traffic, with horns that go off as they come into dock, but that didnt bother us at all. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast at the Fish Restaurant.

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service my friends, wife and I received during our recent stay at your hotel. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, from the moment we arrived until our departure. Every member of your team, including the greeters, receptionists, waiters, waitresses, and restaurant manager, provided truly world-class service. We were impressed and will definitely be returning for another visit. The value for money was excellent. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

I booked with a king bed room without noting that there are difference between regular rooms and harbour view rooms. Upon my arrival, I saw a room with an inside view of a swimming pool under maintenance. Apart from the limited room view, the room is very spacious with comfy bedding. Staff like Lioc, Jeremy, Mizuki, Ashash, Charlene and Catherine are friendly and give me lots of help. The hotel is a little bit afar from the city bus stop but close to the ferry terminal. The fish restaurant at the 1st floor is cool with the open harbor view. For room view upgrade, 70 NZ are needed to add. The architecture is stylish and 🤩 .

Disappointing Stay — Not Hilton Standard I’ve stayed at several Hilton hotels across different continents, but this is probably the worst experience I’ve had. The lobby scent is unpleasant — it smells like a mix of cheap fragrance and sweat. Definitely not the welcoming scent you’d expect from a Hilton. The room was acceptable, but they didn’t provide any bubble bath. How am I supposed to use the tub properly without it? The pool was “under construction” my entire stay — almost a week — yet no one worked on it. Why close it if no maintenance is being done? The service was just okay, but far from Hilton quality. At check-in, the receptionist seemed confused and inexperienced. He charged my card without explaining the details — just said it was for the “total.” Turns out, they charge both the room rate and the deposit together. Overall, the value doesn’t match the cost. I’ll definitely skip this property next time and stay elsewhere.

Stayed for four nights in Oct-25. Great, modern hotel in a prime marina location, close to numerous bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, lending us umbrellas and ordering taxis for us. Both the breakfast and restaurant had delicious food and attentive service. My only frustration is that the pool was closed for refurbishment, and given the high nightly rate we paid, a complimentary drink or some room credit would have been a nice gesture of compensation. The cruise ships docking adjacent to the hotel also mask the view and lead to traffic and pedestrian chaos on the pier.
Adam B — Google review
We came to Hilton Hotel expecting something great knowing how good is the reputation of the hilton hotels around the globe. My wife even had the pleasure to stay at the Hilton Hotel in Japan and during her stay in USA as well. We were naturally very excited about the idea to go together after our wedding to that prestigious hotel with such a wonderful view i have to admit. However we were very dissapointed by the service itself except for the valet, the reception was long and kind of awkward with a receptionist who seemed to not know what to do and her manager that didn't even gave us a look like if we didn't exist ( Not even an Hello)while talking to her staff at the reception. After that we went to our room with a very comfortable bed and a beautiful view and also very view spot to charge our phones and the ones next to the bed were not working.... It could stop there but no. We wanted after that first bad impression to try the restaurant of the hotel. Again I have to say that the service was way below the standard that we have the right to expect from such a place. Multiple errors during our dinner. Wrong plates, waiters not even knowing what they are serving or also the beef that was supposed to be in my plate was forgotten in the kitchen. The worst in that ? It was not even that busy just a few tables, less than the number of fingers on a hand. Also we took some wine and the pouring was kind of childish leaving many marks all over the glass, I am sorry but me and my wife couldn't resist to have a sad laugh of deception. However the food was not bad the entrée the crab cake was really good and the main was ok. After that we go take a look at the pool because before booking it was says that the works would be over end of October so we are going to do some scouting at the pool just to see it closed, still closed. After that new deception we came back to the room to enjoy the rest of our nights when I saw that there was no amenities, calling the reception I had to wait almost 20 min to get what was needed for me to call it a night and what a night. To end my review I paid a certain price that I was thinking would be worth it but in the end I paid for a room that was ok for a service that was at most mediocre , a pool that it still closed and a dinner that was below the standards with a crew that seemed unorganised and overwhelmed to serve 5 tables.
Jean-baptiste W — Google review
We booked our rooms in April for an October family reunion and they were nowhere near our expectations despite one of us being a return guest. The hotel went under construction in May and at that time the rooms we booked were no longer available yet we were not told about this until about a week before our October arrival. We were then offered a lower grade room with no price reduction until I brought it up. And then we were given, without any input, a reduced price but it was a package deal though I had not previously booked a package deal (the lower grade room alone would have been at a lower rate). We were told we would have adjacent rooms but were given rooms on different floors. The rooms themselves had leaky showers resulting in water all over the bathroom floor. The balcony tiles were all lifted due to water retention and every time you walked on them your feet got wet. The pool was out of service and of course we weren’t told about this. Overall I felt Hilton, in particular the reservations manager, wasn’t forthright about the situation and meeting our guest experience expectations was not her priority. Consequently, Hilton’s reputation has suffered.

Located in the heart of Cornwall Park, the Cornwall Park Cafe is a favorite spot for parents with strollers and families looking to enjoy the green surroundings and walking paths. The cafe's central location and easy parking make it a convenient meeting point for coffee dates. As children outgrow their strollers, the cafe remains popular due to its freshly brewed coffee, decadent shakes, smoothies, and an appetizing menu offering breakfast through mid-afternoon.
We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful Cafe when we visited Cornwall Park. We managed to get a table inside which was lucky as it was so busy. They have table service or you can order and pay at your table by scanning the menu code with your phone. They have a great selection of dishes to suite everyone’s taste. You can enjoy a light meal, a small sweet treat or a larger meal. They have great coffee which you can enjoy seated or takeaway. They even serve wine and beer!! The service was absolutely incredible and there were so many staff which meant meals were served fast with a smile. I highly recommend this cafe if you are in the area. The atmosphere is amazing!!

I would give this cafe a solid 4 star rating. Location is beautiful, service well organised, food arrived quickly even on a very busy day. Food is good quality. I wish my poached eggs were served slightly hotter, but they were poached very nicely. I could easily recommend this cafe to a friend. I have been here twice and would come back.

I had a lovely experience at Cornwell Park Cafe! The coffee was rich and smooth, brewed perfectly – just the right balance of strength and flavor to start the day. I also tried their avocado toast with bread, and it was fresh, vibrant, and satisfying. The avocado was creamy and well-seasoned, sitting on nicely toasted bread that had a great crunch. The presentation was simple yet inviting, and the overall vibe of the cafe was cozy and relaxed. A great spot to enjoy a quiet breakfast or catch up with a friend. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

A nice cafe located in the heart of Cornwall Park. The food is good but the reason why I rated low is because they forgot I ordered fish and chips. The lady even showed me the receipt that I didn’t order it, and I pointed out where it was ON THE RECEIPT. 🤦🏻 I get that it was busy though.

Freezing cold after mini golf on Tamaki drive, we needed Hot drinks and a warm place urgently! We got that at Cornwall park cafe! Lovely wait staff, great coffee and snack foods. It was getting close to closing but the young guys had not come down from exploring one tree hill and we waited in the warm until they returned! It was not warm enough to savour the icecream stand, but have done so in summer whilst flying model gliders with the kids! I would recommend CORNWALL PARK cafe and surrounding area to anyone wanting a nice drink and snacks fantastic friendly service and reasonably priced. Arthur C. Charlton west Auckland NZ

Coffee was great! Had an iced caramel latte. Food tasted good, nothing special to note. Was seated quickly and loved that we could order and pay online, from our table. Staff checked-in to make sure we were okay. Atmosphere was busier than expected for a Tuesday morning (was hoping for a nice, quiet brekky), but still a comfortable experience. Can't complain!

My wife decided to have a well deserved iced chocolate takeaway. It was the worst ever. The ice was not crushed and the drink was more watery than chocolate. Approximately a quarter was ice cubes. See photo.
Keith A — Google review
Could be lovely as location & atmosphere is great - right by one of the Cornwall Park car parks (though difficult to find parking at peak times) with a wide ranging menu and an indoor-outdoor feel. No wi-fi. When I arrived (around 2:30 pm) it was counter food only (savoury and sweets, but the team very kindly warmed my pesto roll up for me). Hot chocolate was OK-ish. The pesto roll was average (felt microwave warmed ... as not very crispy and quite doughy) ... but what let the place down was the dirty tables and incessant pigeons! Surely a health/safety issue with all the droppings all over the table? I can understand the pigeons are hard to control (though table cleanliness shouldn't be) but I couldn't actually finish my snack in peace .... and wanted to stay longer but sadly had to leave as the birds literally swooped down taking food off the plates and trying to flap them away (without any help from the staff) was unsuccessful.

Fable Auckland, MGallery is a sophisticated hotel housed in a 1936 art deco building, offering stylish accommodations and fine dining. As part of the Accor group, this luxurious property stands out in Auckland's hotel scene with its old-world glamour and classic hospitality. The hotel's 79 rooms and suites are adorned with vibrant tones inspired by the personal jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor.
We stayed at Fable again on Friday and had another lovely experience. It was our second time staying here, and the staff were just as friendly and welcoming as ever. The room was tidy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We really appreciate the consistent care and attention to detail — can’t wait to stay again!

It is average hotel. You don’t get the luxury and cozy feel. I think there is a lot missing in this hotel. The only thing I loved was the hotel restaurant. I had my dinner and the presentation and quality of food was excellent. The location of hotel is convenient. So there are pluses and minuses.

Great location! As per previous reviews this is a night club area. If you are there between Sunday and Wednesday no problem, all clubs are closed, so was quiet. Was as expected. Great boutique hotel! Staff were very helpful. Remember age does not agree with wall thickness on old hotels for loud guests, as most tourists appear to be nowadays.
Matt L — Google review
I notice that most of the low (1-2*) reviews of this hotel seem to be by people who have booked one of the top floor suites. I guess if you pay a lot more you expect a lot more. We were in a room on the 7th floor not a suite. However, I will address a couple of issues that low reviews have raised. One of these is noise from outside with one reviewer saying there was no double glazing. Our room definitely had double glazing. Perhaps this is new and also we were not on a side facing the road but we had no trouble with noise. Also our room was quite spacious with a big bathroom and huge walk in (perhaps hike in is more appropriate) shower. The bed was comfortable, so no problems there. However, there was no desk so I would not think this room is good for business travellers. Also the seats in the room were a sad victory of form over function. Too low for me (5'9") too sit on comfortably and too deep for my wife to be comfortable (see picture). Also the arms on the seats were ridiculous. Different heights on each side with the lower one too high and the other up level with my shoulder. We arrived by hire car. The hotel was extremely difficult to see. After failing to find it on our first pass (see if you can spot the hotel name from the roadside picture) we had to find somewhere to park up and ring the hotel. They gave us the name of a shop to look for. Even then it was another two drivebyes before we found it and there was space at the roadside to stop and unload. The only parking is valet parking at $65 / night :(. I was also disappointed with the food in the hotel restaurant. The first night I had scotch fillet which was very disappointing and decidedly tough. The next day we had breakfast in the hotel. A fairly bland buffet at $40/ person. On our second day we ate out for brunch which was much better. However, when checking out we again had breakfast at the hotel because of timings. However, on this day there was no buffet breakfast available at all, just a la carte. My very expensive scrambled eggs were like rubber. I consider that if you can slice scrambled eggs then something is wrong. So mixed feelings. The room was comfortable and not as bad as some negative reviews would suggest and it is in a good central location, but I didn't feel it lived up to it's 5* billing. We have stayed in several lowered rated hotels during our stay which were better and almost all did a better job of breakfast.

Poor service. Purchased a voucher and was told they would NOT honor!!! When I tried to contact them the receptionist LIED saying they were the only person onsite. Trust me they lied more than once. I spend OVER 500 dollars and they would NOT HONOR a Grab One voucher no negotiation and complete dismissal of my attempts to make contact. I sent an email to the manager NO RESPONSE. Deeply disappointing experiene I was relocated to Fable Auckland last-minute after my original booking at Fitzroy by Luminous (Ponsonby) fell through. This hotel is absolutely not five-star by any reasonable standard. The room was outdated and musty, with mould and rust in the shower, thin single-glazed windows, and noise from nearby clubs that made it hard to sleep. The hotel elevator felt unsafe and only reached the 7th floor - we had to take stairs with luggage to reach our room. None of the inclusions promised as part of my original package were honoured, instead, I was offered a single $50 voucher for two people - which didn’t even cover coffees. Worse still, in response to me contacting them about my stay, they claimed to have “waived” minibar charges I never incurred, which felt frankly insulting. The staff experience was equally poor - the doorman ignored us completely and played phone games at full volume, and reception staff felt insincere and inconsistent. This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had. The hotel fell short in service, cleanliness, quality, and accountability. I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere.

This informal hotel features beautifully designed rooms and spacious two-bedroom apartments, all adorned with premium hardwood and chic furnishings. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of lush greenery or the Tasman Sea from their private balconies.
We had an exceptional second stay at the Waitakere Resort. A very stunning location and so peaceful. The food was superb and the service excellent. The views exceptional. The interior is a mixed of vintage elements and stylish modern rooms. The expansive guest lounge was a treat - open fire and a wine with good conversation with other guests. Like going back in time. We look forward to our next say - a summer one to enjoy the gorgeous pool. Thanks again to the lovely staff at Waitakere Resort.

We had a wonderful stay for my birthday. It’s a beautiful hotel with great staff. Our massage and sauna was excellent at the spa and sitting on the big, open balcony in the evening after a stroll on one of their bush walks was so relaxing. This was made even better by the food. The restaurant is highly recommended, especially for dinner. One of the best we’ve had for years. Can’t wait to return.

The man at the front desk (Avi) was fantastic. He was very friendly and welcoming. One of the best customer service experiences I have had. The rooms were clean and tidy, with amazing views. The location was peaceful and quiet. Spa bath was a real treat. The restaurant was fantastic. Great service and lovely food. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary, thank you!

We chose the Waitakere Resort for the venue of our daughter and son in-laws wedding high tea. The staff were easy to communicate with and made planning very easy. On the day our guests were wowed by the scenery, views and how secluded and private the resort was, as they arrived. The staff greeted us warmly and made the whole event easy. The tūī room was light and warm with magnificent views over the ranges and out to the city. The serving staff were friendly, efficient and super helpful without being intrusive. The high tea was delicious. There was something for everyone and the special dietary requirements were catered to beautifully without fuss. The bride and groom thoroughly enjoyed the event and enjoyed their stay there that night. Some of our guests also stayed at the hotel and all had positive feedback about their rooms and the service they received. Now that we have seen the resort for ourselves I am keen to stay the night sometime too!

The hotel is starting to look it's age with some wear and tear on the rooms. This is more than made for by the amazing view and service provided by the staff. The beds are comfortable and the premiere room is massive. We had an amazing time taking a break from the city for a few nights. The restaurant, as noted in other reviews, is a little slow - but the food is amazing and worth the wait. The fire was lit and warm and welcoming for our arrival and my partner loved his spa treatments

Hidden gem in Waitākere! Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The room had a rustic, old-school charm that made it feel cozy and unique. The facilities were top-notch, and the spa service was simply amazing, the crew went above and beyond to make the experience relaxing. The manager, reception, and restaurant staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, delivering outstanding service with genuine smiles. Dinner was delicious and beautifully prepared (though the portion size could be a little more generous). Breakfast, on the other hand, was absolutely spot-on: fresh, hearty, and truly delicious. All in all, a perfect stay in every way. We can’t wait to return!

I tried the winter package, which includes a three-course dinner, continental breakfast, and a one-night stay. Here’s a quick breakdown: 🍽️ Food Taste: 4/5 Food was alright, options are very limited 🍟 Food Quantity: 2/5 Portions were very small, and the dinner was noticeably low in carbs, which made it feel incomplete and left us hungry. Definitely order extra sides—fries helped! 🛏️ Room: 5/5 The room was clean, comfortable, and had a stunning view that really elevated the experience. While the body wash packaging was a bit awkward (think ketchup sachet), everything else felt well-kept and pleasant. 🥐 Breakfast: 3/5 Limited selection in the open buffet, the pastries were tasty, 👥 Staff: 4/5 Very nice and kind especially the restaurant staff. Special thanks to the receptionist who made an extra effort to speak slowly and clearly—as if we didn’t speak English 😅. We found it funny and appreciated the kindness, though it might come across differently to others. For the record, we do speak English—just maybe don’t look like it! 🌄 Overall Experience: The remote location is a highlight—peaceful, scenic, and full of fresh air. The hotel style leans old-fashioned. The mulled wine was delicious.
Nahed A — Google review
Did the winter package which comes with 3 course dinner and continental breakfast with one night stay. Will give a quick summary in ratings. Food taste : 5/5 Food quantity : 2/5 you will definitely be hungry so order some fries Room : 2/5 very old and I didn't like that the body wash comes in a ketchup package type that absorbs water and makes it not friendly to use. Breakfast : 3/5, quite a small selection for continental although their pastries were yummy. Overall, still enjoy the remote location with very nice scenic view and fresh air. But the hotel style is old and not really good with the room ammenities. Also dinner quantity is so small but the chef is excellent. Their mull wine also delicious.

Nestled in the heart of Auckland, JW Marriott offers a luxurious experience with its indoor pool and 24-hour gym. The hotel's lobby bar and restaurant provide a polished setting for guests to unwind. For tea enthusiasts, the high tea experience is a must-try, featuring an array of tea-infused treats and cocktails. Guests rave about the delightful check-in experience, with personalized attention from staff members like Michael Hayde.
Stayed here for 3 days when working I. Auckland and as always the JW Marriott does not disappoint. Where ever you go in the world you know if you stay here it will be top notch. Rooms were spacious, and had everything you could need including spare toothbrush and razor. The breakfast was excellent and service was top notch. My only complaint about the breakfast was charging $6 for a hot chocolate which is a bit weird to be honest. Bed was soft and easy to sleep in. Hotel is close to most amenities and just outside there is a shop which sells most things that you need. All in all it was a good stay. Would recommend

Excellent hotel in Auckland city. Great amenities as well, including ample seating upon entry, as well as a fabulous little bar. Well appointed, spacious rooms, our King room came with a bath. Fantastic staff, check in was quick and efficient. I noted that some of the staff were able to speak other languages to help overseas guests understand more easily. I thought this was great, and very thoughtful, and again, helped with efficiency and overall great customer service. Definitely our "go to" hotel when we visit Auckland.

⸻ Our stay at JW Marriott was delightful and made all the more memorable by the exceptional hospitality of the staff. From evening to morning, the crew consistently provided warm, attentive, and professional service that truly elevated the experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of travel. There were a couple of minor setbacks — despite leaving the “make up room” sign on, we returned around 3pm to find the room still unserviced, which was slightly inconvenient. Additionally, the shower room felt a little narrow compared to expectations. Overall, it was a near-perfect stay, with excellent service and comfort making it a destination we would gladly return to, with just a few small areas for improvement.

From arrival at valet, through to check in, room service and check-out, the service at this hotel was exceptional. Every detail here reflected genuine five-star standards. And every staff member we encountered provided genuine smiles and outstanding and professional customer service throughout. The facilities are also impressive, particularly the heated indoor pool, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel exudes luxury and sophistication. We highly recommend the JW Celebration Package for those wanting something a bit extra. JW Marriott is a true five-star hotel in the heart of Auckland’s CBD.
Alocin — Google review
The JW Marriott Auckland sets a high standard for luxury in the city center. Its location is unbeatable, placing you within a short walk of the Viaduct Harbour, Princes Wharf, and the Queen Street shopping district, making it ideal for both business and leisure travel. Following a significant refurbishment, the hotel now offers beautifully appointed, serene rooms and suites that truly embody the "luxurious urban retreat" concept. The bedding is exceptionally comfortable, and the inclusion of high-end amenities (like Aromatherapy Associates bath products) elevates the experience. A major highlight is the fantastic leisure area, which includes a heated indoor pool, spa/jacuzzi, and sauna, often with beautiful harbor or city views—a perfect escape from the city bustle. While the hotel is renowned for its elegant, natural-element-inspired design and delicious dining (especially the flagship restaurant, Trivet), the real strength of this property is the exceptional and attentive staff. The team, from the front desk to the concierge, consistently goes the extra mile to ensure a seamless and personalized stay. This is the definitive choice in Auckland for those seeking a premium hotel experience defined by comfort, excellent facilities, and world-class service.

I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Auckland. The hotel is in a pretty centralized area and very easy to walk around to restaurants. I stayed in a corner suite, which is more than enough for 1 person. The rooms look like they were recently renovated and was spacious and clean. Good selection of food during breakfast. My flight arrived very early 8am and my room wasn't ready but the hotel was very accommodating and gave me another room to rest up till my room was ready.

Booked a night as a staycation with our kids when my husband had to travel abroad for a work thing. We booked the “family package” which included valet parking, late checkout (2pm!) and extra kid-friendly amenities (little teepee set up in the room, kid-size robes and slippers, some activity pads and a small tray of sweet treats. The kids thought it was the best day ever. The hotel is excellently located close to the ferry building, commercial bay and the sky tower. We stayed on the 7th floor so had a pretty cool view and was not too far from the pool on the 10th floor (where we literally spent most of our time! The water was the perfect temp and there was a sauna and spa for me to try as well). The breakfast buffet did not disappoint, it literally had everything you can imagine and the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. Highly recommend JWM, we absolutely LOVED every bit of it! Also, special mention - I particularly liked the calming music playing in all the communal areas.

Perfect location in Auckland. Located in Auckland's CBD, the JW Marriott Hotel Auckland is a 5-star haven, blending luxury with natural design elements inspired by New Zealand's stunning landscapes. Tea Total is a haven for tea enthusiasts, offering an extensive selection of teas that cater to various tastes. The health benefits of tea are well-documented, including its ability to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. According to a study, the best way to prepare tea for optimal flavor is in a porcelain pot with at least two grams of leaves per 100ml of water. Customers appreciate the wide range of options available and enjoy spending time exploring the different varieties.
Auckland’s answer to T2.. but better. Awesome store. Friendly staff. Sample packs make it convenient to try lots of flavors. Storage tins use storage labels that can be replaced when you swap to a different tea. Great product. Stoked to have found this place.

Tea Total do the best teas in a range of flavours. I have tried other brands but always come home to Tea Total's Red Bush Vanilla, Earl Grey Special, and now Organic Spearmint. All super refreshing and flavour-full.
R P — Google review
I love the place. Been an online customer for three years and finally, a visit. I am really onto tea for decades, I am able to find better choice of my favorite teas, individually, elsewhere, but never as comprehensive as this. It is like a tea library. I enjoyed spending time reading the intros, and venture a few new ones on sample sizes. Cute plants in teapots, nice glass pots with candle warmer, and the mouse santa. Parking is no issue, helpful services. the price is not cheap, but I got the assurance that there is expertise and passion behind the selection. I like the "Phoenix Dragon Pearls" in 250g bag it went well with the glass warmer. But some teas do not seem to go well with a warmer. So pleased that Auckland have such an excellent tea shop

I love tea total!! Earl grey Paris is my holy grail tea. I consider myself an earl grey snob. I’ve tried many, and also was a purest no deviation from the original BUT after tasting this tea, I’m changed. This is my self care ritual and the cure of everything.

Such an awesome shop with a huge selection of tea, friendly staff and a lovely space to sit down and try some tea while your kids play in the kids corner. There are little testers and smell sensations everywhere. How can you resist?

Tea Total teas are, without exception, quality teas, each with a very distinct flavour. They are worth the investment, and the service delivered by the company is excellent.

Tea Total is amazing! We live in East Auckland and like to take a trip to their store from time to time. The staff are lovely and the tea is the best! I love the way they have their store set out. An extremely positive experience!

I first tried this tea at a cafe in Wairoa. I had to ask where I could get some and they referred me to Tea Total. My wife and I now both enjoy Tea Total products. Tea from the supermarket doesn't come remotely close to the flavours in these teas. And the varieties, so many to pick from. Something for everyone I reckon.

SkyBar at SkyCity Auckland offers a stunning panoramic view of Auckland's skyline and harbor, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset and the city lights at night. The bar provides an impressive selection of expertly crafted cocktails and spirits, ensuring a delightful burst of flavors with each sip. While enjoying the breathtaking views, visitors can indulge in delicious hot dishes like cauliflower bites and cheese plates. The friendly staff, including the knowledgeable bar manager, cater to guests' needs and provide excellent hospitality.
One of the absolute highlights of my time in Auckland! Sky Bar is an experience that blends breathtaking views, exceptional service, and top-quality drinks into one unforgettable outing. Whether you're a local looking for a special evening or a traveler hoping to soak in the city from above, this place is a must. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome — especially Patrick, who truly went above and beyond. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, offering excellent drink recommendations based on what we liked. He even helped us capture the moment by taking the most amazing photos with the city skyline behind us — seriously, he has a gift! Patrick made our experience feel personal and elevated, and you can tell he genuinely cares about making guests feel special. The views from the bar are absolutely stunning. Watching the city sparkle beneath you as the sun sets or the lights come on is something you really have to see for yourself. The cocktails were creative and delicious, beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Every detail — from the service to the ambiance to the drinks — was on point. Another bonus? If you order a drink, your admission to the Sky Tower lookout is free — such a great perk and well worth it. It's the perfect way to enjoy a bit of luxury while taking in the best views Auckland has to offer. All in all, Sky Bar delivers a five-star experience in every way. I couldn’t recommend it more highly, and I’ll absolutely be back the next time I’m in the city. Don’t miss it!
Julio Y — Google review
We have been to New Zealand and Auckland many times and have visited the Sky Tower before. As we had dined here and seen the views from the terrific observation level, this time we thought we would just come up for a drink with a spectacular view. Our cruise ship was in Auckland, so it was a relatively easy walk to the tower from the harbour. Our waiter was friendly and the food and drinks were very good. A 'must try' is the one they call 'that Sky Bar drink'. You will see it in the photos here :-) While there is very little to complain about, the toilet facilities could be improved. One lady who was helping her husband in a wheelchair commented on how difficult it was to navigate the very small spaces and narrow entrance to the two unisex toilets on the level. Overall, a very good experience which (with a few small changes) could go from great to fantastic. Here are a few photos from our recent visit.
Leanne W — Google review
The drinks are definitely on a higher side but not as high as you would anticipate… 40$ is a spending limit but definitely worth visiting the drinks are soooo good… enjoyed all of them.. specially if you go in evening during sunset the view is mesmerising..!!
USHMA S — Google review
We came to Auckland on a whim for a 2 week trip and wanted to get a great view of the city. We happened to be able to snag a table for some cocktails before dinner and all I can say is WOW. What a place. The service was incredible (thank you Jeffrey,) the view was amazing, and the cocktails were some of the finest libations we've had in a while. Fun and creative takes on the classics, and a seasonal drink menu with some great and creative options. If you have the time and the opportunity I can't recommend this bar enough.
Greg R — Google review
Beautiful view, delicious cocktail and desserts, and outstanding service (special shout out to Patrick). This has officially become my top recommendation for a late afternoon spot in Auckland, perfect for enjoying drinks while watching the sunset
Lin Z — Google review
5/5 experience. We tried 8 cocktails among all of us & each one was unique & delicious. My personal favourite was the schezuan. So delicately balanced and flavourful, the service was very warm and top notch, not to mention the view from up top is incredible.
Ranjiv S — Google review
Aroma From the coffee: warm, nutty, and with a good balance of milk sweetness and roast depth. From the dessert: subtle — the gold leaf doesn’t have a scent, so what comes through is the faint aroma of chocolate and cream beneath. Taste & Texture Dessert: Beneath the flashy gold exterior, it’s a layered chocolate mousse-style bar with a rich ganache top and a crisp base. The gold leaf is pure theatre, no flavour, but a lot of visual punch. Texture-wise, it’s smooth and indulgent, with a coconut surprise. Coffee: Smooth and well-pulled, with milk steamed to that silky microfoam consistency. Works well as a palate cleanser between bites. This is more than just a dessert and coffee, it’s an experience piece. The taste is solid, the textures well executed, but let’s be honest: the “wow” factor comes from the look and the setting, not only from reinventing the flavour wheel. If you’re here for indulgence, photos, and skyline views, it delivers. If you’re here purely for groundbreaking flavour, it’s more show than shock.

Chapter Book & Tea Shop is a charming and cozy eatery in Mt Eden that offers a unique combination of over 300 tea options and an impressive collection of novels, with a focus on romance but also featuring the occasional mystery. The staff are known for their exceptional service, going above and beyond to assist customers, even offering complimentary tea bags when a specific product was out of stock.
I cannot believe I’ve lived here 9 years and not been in this gem before. I am fussy about my black leaf tea and I always ship a particular brand from overseas. No longer! They blended some black for me based on my requirements and their knowledge, and I am really enjoying it. And now I have a little card in their shop w my specifications for future visits. This will always be my go-to now. Plus, they have books. What’s not to like?

I love Chapter a lot. The shop’s vibe makes it feel very much like a community - not just another bookstore. The mix of romance books and tea creates a perfect getaway spot for a pot of tea and a read. As a tea lover, they also have the most extensive range of tea you’ll find in Auckland. I highly recommend bringing a tin and getting it filled with a scoop of your favourite brew!

Brilliant teashop. They have the most amazing range of teas and the staff are so knowledgeable and helpful. You don't need to buy a whole packet of something either, they will just measure out the quantity that you want. I bought a little tin for my Russian Caravan and they put a cute little label on it so I can remember what's in it. The tin is easy to open too, unlike other tins I have from a tea chain store. This is my new go-to for all my tea

The good thing they have parking which is great but what let them down is the service and table setting, I went to ask for a napkins and there wasn't any cutleries on the table so I went to get some from one of the tables.

We've walked in attracted by displayed sandwiches . The looked yam! The stuff upsold the full brunch option and we gladly stayed. I can boldly state that they've got the most DISSAPPOINTING french toast! It was burnt on one side, I couldn't cut through it! The kitchen forgot to include 1/3 of ingredients mentioned on menu. Noone apologized, noone asked how the food was..and as we were leaving the place stuff sort of pretended they didn't see us :) Ruined Saturday brunch is very upsetting. Good thing there are plenty of other options around.

A posh, industrial-looking café with friendly staff members. They offers a rather large variety on food, snacks, sauces, breads, and the like. Their high tea is quite yummy and nice, though their full-priced is too dear in my opinion. Have parking spaces on top of the building though the driveway is quite narrow.

The Florentine Tearoom in Auckland offers an elegant high tea experience with a wide selection of teas and delicious treats like baked chicken puffs, assorted macaroons, and fresh scones. The friendly service and beautifully displayed food make for a delightful experience. The tearoom's lovely ambiance, both indoors and outdoors, adds to the charm of enjoying their perfect high tea menu.
Lovely little tea shop with a very delicious High Tea. This has been my favourite High Tea so far esp as it was a birthday treat with my mum - the food was amazing. The servers were lovely and patient. It's a sweet little tearoom and I can see why it's so popular!

Gorgeous small tea room in Epsom. The interior is charming, the staff are friendly. We had the Christmas high tea; it was beautifully presented and tasted great. There was a good variety of sweet and savoury options in the high tea, and plenty of food (we had to take some leftovers home). For the price and the experience, it really is good value for something so special. I'd love to come back and try some of the sweets in the cabinet at the front as well. There is a good range of sweet and savoury options in the cabinet and cooked options on the menu, and not everyone at your table has to have the high tea - my mum had a scone with jam & cream with a pot of tea.

Amazing high tea at the Florentine Tearoom. The food was so delicious and filling (best tofu I've ever tasted) & they catered for all dietary requirements (veggie, dairy free etc.). The service was impeccable - Winston is the nicest guy ever. He let us bring decorations & took lovely pictures, and was so helpful to deal with during the afternoon & when booking. I can't believe I haven't been here before, but 110% recommend and will definitely be going back. Thank you Winston & the team!

Lovely high tea experience. Really friendly service, delicious food - beautifully displayed, portion was just right for my husband, toddler AND myself (so if there’s just the 2 of you, you’d probably have to take some away). My absolute favourite were the scones (made fresh in-house), I’d be happy eating those all day long. We sat in the little courtyard out the back and they also have a couple of tables out the front if you prefer an outdoor setting. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the high tea here. Need to book 24 hours in advance. Will definitely be visiting this secret gem again and more often.

Had high tea here last week and would definitely want to visit again, the food was really nice and good portions, we had to take away some as we couldn't finish it all. The stand out food was the mini burgers and the scones. The customer service was really great and nice environment especially sitting in the back courtyard. One of the best high teas I've had and the price is very good too. Definitely recommend this place if you haven't tried it yet!

Had high tea for my birthday and food was tasty, especially the sliders. Even the simple ham sandwich was nice. Coffee was good too..Service was great, quite friendly. Was quite prompt in responding to my enquiry. Will definitely come back. And recommend this place.

If you're seeking a luxurious hotel for an exclusive dining experience, Cordis in Auckland offers a remarkable option. The Chandelier Lounge at Cordis is a bar renowned for its glamour and opulence. It is located in the largest hotel in New Zealand, the Cordis hotel, which includes the impressive Pinnacle Tower. This venue stands out due to its exceptional event planning capabilities and commitment to providing flawless service. With cutting-edge technology solutions, attention to detail is paramount at Cordis.
The Christmas high tea at Cordis was a great experience. The gingerbread chocolate desert was amazing and there was such a bountiful selection of deserts, sandwiches, and scones. We had lots of leftovers afterwards when we had two people at the high tea. The jasmine green tee I had was excellent. I think that the high tea at $65 per person is a great value for the superb quality of the food. They were very accommodating about my almond and hazelnut allergies as well and ensured that there weren’t any nuts on our platter.

Easter high tea was great experience - the selection of savouries and sweets were pretty good, my fav was the crab one. You get two pots per person of any TWG teas & quite a good selection from black, green, oolong, and other types of teas. I do like my teas quite strong so maybe my pots were diluted more than I would have liked, but I was still able to taste, though quite subtle. We also got a handcrafted chocolate Easter bunny each, so that was a nice touch. Service was great, overall a very good high tea experience.

We looked forward to this high tea we had. The service was not quite what expected, as they mixed up our reservation and then had not been on top of it as well. They have a great range of the TWG teas. The food was good but not extraordinary. For the place, the name Langham, the price and the offering, I expect more. It is good, but there are other better places as well.

I had High Tea with family. The setting in the chandelier lounge was cosy with a live harpist for us the listen to. There was a huge selection of food. The tea menu was extensive, I had the Lapsang souchong, the fragrance was gorgeous and smokey but its favour was delicate and light. My second pot of tea was Napoleon, a blend of black tea with spice notes. The food was sandwiches, savouries and sweet treats followed by a tray of scones. Everything was exquisitely presented, richly favoured and the perfect size. Highly recommended as a treat!

I love going to Cordis for their High tea. This was the spring themed high tea for 2 people, love the scent for the hotel lounge space, made me feel very relaxed. The whole experience was great, the design of the Lounge was very classy and love the big Chandelier. The service was great too.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Chandelier Lounge. The food and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. The wine selection was simply sensational. I must also mention Sushmita and her team. They were incredibly professional and friendly.

If you’re after a memorable high tea, this might not be the best option. The desserts tasted like they were from the supermarket, and the overall experience felt overpriced for the quality. On the plus side, the service was good.

Booked mothers day high tea and it wasn't disappointing. Between five of us we were all presented champagne and 3 plates between us. The waitress was just lovely. She explained every morsel to us and nothing was too much bother for her. As soon as our tea pots were empty, she whisked them away to replace them. She knew our preferences each time, only downside was the tea was on the weak side. The food was delicious but perhaps the scones could be smaller. The menu was put together for Mothers day. My Mother in law was thoroughly delighted, we will definitely be back next year.
