I’m lost for words but the food was very delicious and fresh id give it 20 out of 10. One of the best Jamaican shops I’ve come across in the uk. There’s one bad review that I saw which should be deleted as it’s a pure lie. Just want to say thank you Maureen and keep up the good work. The curry goat came boneless, mc and cheese was off the hook. Overall this place deserves more than a 5*

Amazing experience with Maureens. Said online it was not accepting orders for delivery so called up and she said she was working alone so it’s currently off for delivery but if I want something she will switch delivery on for us. I explained what I wanted to order and she so kindly turned delivery on! Praise be this woman for the lovely gesture!

I’m so confused as to how the reviews are stating the food is the best from here?Are we all eating the same food??the jerk chicken was literally bland it tasted like oven cooked Asda “jerk” style seasoned chicken, the rice was hard most certainly not the usual rice Jamaicans cook with. Go to Charmaine’s in Huddersfield and you’ll most certainly notice the difference. The “girl” in the back with the bonnet on can’t even treat her own staff and or family member with respect working in the kitchen with her she was so rude wasted £20+ on awful food .never again you all need your tastebuds checking. Inside the shop is just disgusting and needs decorating considering so many people go here you need to invest that money in your shop and staff and food quality

Excellent service, authentic, tasty Caribbean food. Ms Maureen and her staff are also friendly and provide great Customer service. Love the curry goat, fried chicken and oxtail.

Can never ever get an order from them even when pre ordered or ordered as they open always cancelled which is a shame as there food was good. Don't understand why there even on uber eats or just eat literally must have had order cancelled last 30 times.

Came here for brunch with a few friends, taking the two-drinks options. While the portion of food (I got the goat curry) was a tad small, it was delicious and together with the drinks I thought was decent value for money. Our waiter, Jordan, was very friendly and attentive - we felt well looked after. Overall a great experience.

Ate at Ryans Kitchen for the first time and i am extremely disappointed, the jerk chicken tasted nothing like jerk chicken it was just burnt swimming in a oily sweet black stew. The curried goat was 80% bone. The reviews seem to suggest its good i don’t know if its a bad time but it definitely isn't worth the money.

We were absolutely blown away with the flavours here. What an incredible meal. The food & staff are wonderful. Karen, I think her name was, was such a delight and so helpful. Can’t wait to go back.

This place came highly recommended by a work colleague. The place has a great vibe with some classic 90s tunes . The decor gives it an authentic feel. I was greeted with a welcoming smile that made me feel like a regular even though I had never been before. I ordered the curry goat and rice and peas and 2 dumplings . Let’s start with the dumplings. They were freshly fried, warm, big and fluffy and really tasty. The rice was fresh and so tasty. The curry goat was lovely and the meat was quality. I paid £15 which seemed expensive, however the site prices suggests that it should be £11 so I do not know if it was a miscalculation.

A great vegan destination. My jackfruit dish was great although for me it lacked the authentic flavours as the sweetness was overpowering. Fantastic soft spiced chips. Would like to also see the rice and peas jazzed up a little bit to be a bit more authentic, but overall good meal.

Great food, generous portions deliciously tasty, and really good value for money. More importantly nearly all the food is gluten free, dairy free, and nut free. Definitely not flavour free though! Friendly staff too. The staff are really helpful and well informed about allergies. Go visit this place or have a meal delivered. You won't regret it!

This is the second time we’ve visited Jenny’s jerk chicken and I hope one of many more to come. We ordered the jerk chicken rice box which comes with plantain, a salad, and a drink for £10. The jerk chicken is to die for and prepared fresh right off the grill. Some of the best I’ve had and on the mild side which is excellent if you have a spice-intolerant spouse like me! The rice is great and dressed in their curry sauce so it’s really rich and flavourful and truly to die for. The plantain is perfectly soft and caramelised and even the salad is thoughtfully prepared and fresh. They also have two house sauces, the spicy pepper sauce and the mango(?) mayo. I get the mayo on my salad and the spicy pepper in a corner of the rice. Even with my modest spice tolerance it’s quite fiery so I’m not brave enough to have it anywhere else just yet! It’s optional but I recommend you try just a little of it anyway. Oh, and they stock a few flavours of Rubicon, which always makes me happy. I’d like to say I will try other things on the menu but honestly this meal is so good I have no reason to change!

Absolutely unreal food and a large portion. £10 for jerk chicken, chips, plantain, salad and a drink. The guy behind counter told me to give an honest review, this is definitely honest. Keep it up guys - recommended to a few colleagues at work so will be over again next week.

I never write reviews but honestly this is literally the best carribean food i have ever had. It’s absolutely delicious 😫 i don’t know the name of the man who works there but he needs a raise for being so welcoming and kind. The homemade mango mayo on the salad was delicious, everything was 10/10. I’d make it my local takeaway but i’m not from leeds so now i’m sad.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant both yesterday and today, and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious. As someone familiar with Caribbean cuisine, I truly appreciated the authentic flavors and quality of the meals. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff treated customers with genuine respect. A special mention to the young woman who served me she’s not only beautiful but also incredibly kind and attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great service. Love this place! The jerk chicken rice box with plantain is probably the best £9 you can spend in Leeds! I've been going for years and always have the same thing, but it's just so good. A little homemade mango mayo on the salad with the sweetness of the plantain finishes it off perfectly!

Large Jerk Chicken with rice and peas, a dumpling, small tub of gravy and a can of grape soda. My preference is barbequed and smoked jerk chicken which this is not. This is however, well seasoned and juicy! The rice and peas were cooked to my liking! The gravy was ok and the dumpling, despite being a little expensive for its size, was also pretty good.

Herd nothing but good feed back from friends so decided to give scotchie a try, i was really impressed with how good the food tastes and great customer service. Shop is clean this is how a carribean takeaway should be. The salmon was amazing so came back to try the chicken!

We fancied something different for a late lunch and JAMROCK did not disappoint. It was very quiet at about 3 o'clock on a Friday so the service staff were very attentive and friendly. We chose the bottomless brunch and decided it was good value. A sharing platter (choice of chicken or vegan) with plenty of authentic Jamaican dishes. A good selection of cocktails to go with it. Plus options such as beer and soft drinks. We felt very well catered for and spent a good couple of hours enjoying the vibe.

What a wonderful find! A lovely warm welcome from the moment we walked in. Lovely no pressure chilled friendly vibe. Took the advice and tried their “Sunday roast” with jerk chicken. Amazing flavours, really nice heat, my mate had goat for his first time and loved it! If you like Caribbean food, like warm friendly service then you won’t be disappointed!

We visited for lunch and went with the vegan jerk jackfruit, it came with plantain, rice and peas, coleslaw, and a flavourful sauce, all for just £8.50. It was hearty, delicious, and honestly the best jackfruit we’ve ever had, perfect texture and packed with flavour. The staff were absolutely lovely, friendly, welcoming, and gave great recommendations from the menu. Such a great atmosphere too. I’ve been before for the bottomless brunch and the cocktails were fantastic, highly recommend!

Tonight was our 3rd time visiting Jamrock. We absolutely adore everything about this hidden gem. The service from Jay was impeccable and the cocktails made by Estella were delicious. I’ve been to jamrock a few times and this was my best visit yet. The bottomless brunch menu has been overhauled. It’s now a sharing platter that I thought wasn’t going to be enough. How wrong I was we were so full by the end and still had plenty of food leftover. The music was on point. The staff were super attentive and helpful. I’ll definitely be visiting again!!

Yes we waited Quite Awhile however, there was Much to catch up with between Three Childhood Friends..This was my third and their second vist. Culturally Caribbean Food Does take A "likkle bit more time to Cook To Perfection" My Fried Jackfruit & Jerk Prawns were a Delight as was the Clasdic Platter for my friends. Both meals Bigger than All 3 of us.

I’ve been here a few times now for my dinner with my decorator friend. First and foremost, the food is absolutely amazing 😻. It’s really nice to get a fresh wholesome meal like that when you’re on the go all the time. Secondly, Gregg and the other lady who works there (didn’t catch her name but she was telling us about her upcoming holiday) are so lovely and friendly ❤️. Like I said, only been a few times but they’ve remembered our faces and we have a lovely chat while waiting for the food (and beyond some days!) Such a lovely welcoming atmosphere and really good food. Look forward to the days I’m working nearby so we can come for lunch here.

I had a Succulent Carribbean meal, Jerk chicken was honestly the best ive ever had. The Curried goat was peng and the portions were huge, dumplings were sweet just how i like em. Boss man was a bit stand-offish but once we started to talk he was a cool guy. Will be back

Lovely food, even for my first time trying this place. However the portion size is WAY too small and I feel a bit robbed for the amount I paid (£7) for a large portion (apparently). I feel like they could be more generous with the portions, especially when paying so much.

Food was very delicious only downside is the portions are abit small, hopefully that will change soon apart from that i really enjoyed the jerk chicken, rice pease.. dumplin n loveky sweet sauce

The food at Cabin Caribbean Cuisine was lovely, but the curry goat had more bone than meat, which was a bit disappointing. The waiting time was around 30 minutes, and the pricing of the dishes felt quite high. On top of that, the venue itself wasn’t very clean, which took away from the overall experience, we was told to add on £2.00 on top of pricing on the menu as it's pre covid pricing? The takeaway needs new menus to avoid confusion as we totalled it up to the prices on the menu for us to then be told before paying to add £2.00 on each pricing.. We usually go to Scotchies, but since it was closed on Sunday, we decided to give this place a try, unfortunately, it didn’t quite wow us.

First time experience, I ordered Curry Mutton on the bone with rice & peas, so disappointed, all I got was 90% rice & peas, very little of curry mutton. just little bit of gravy

Was hoping to put a great review after the long wait and great customer service but unfortunately not... My sis ordered us two curried goat and dumpings from here which is one of my faves, first time ordering from here. Delivery driver was nice and friendly and so was the gentleman on the phone, it was a 2 hour wait for food though... The food was ok but I've definitely had better, was lacking a lot of flavour.

Shocking food! £25 incl delivery for for oxtail and butter bean (one bean and swimming in oil) undercooked plantain and dry child portion of rice!!! How can you serve this and think it’s ok!!

Rang up and ordered chicken soup for dinner today. It was soooooo tasty. Chunky pieces of chicken, good assortment of veg and plenty of dumplings.... it's usually good anyway.. but today it was off the scale deliciousness.... 🤗

Excellent variety of Caribbean food with great service, friendly atmosphere and more than competitive pricing. What's not to like! My last visit I was using the bike so didn't want to be overfull so I had the Chicken Express (with meat gravy) which always hits the spot provided I'm not ravenous as it's quite filling.

Went to visit shop sat 17th May. The staff woman’s attitude was appalling, no customer service skills, rude and acting like she didn’t want my service. The food is decent but please buy from places where you feel appreciated

Cute place. Seemed like it's a family run business and is frequented by family and friends of the owners which was nice. We ordered the jerk chicken and fried plantain & aubergine meals. I really loved the fried dumplings and the fried plantain, however we were a little disappointed overall as we thought there would be more flavour, but maybe we're used to westernised Caribbean food? Anyway for the price (5-6 pounds a plate) we were still very happy and we even got an extra side of salad that we weren't expecting. We also loved the Caribbean music playing here. We were head bobbing & toe tapping the whole time we were in there.

Very very good. Exceptionally good food, affordable and a proper community hub. Had mutton curry with plenty of sides and extras, amoungst if not THE best I've had for sure.

I was greeted by a grumpy older gentleman who didn't appear very happy to answer questions about the menu. Served chicken that was pink inside and clearly hadn't been properly cooked. Never again!

What can I say about this guys food other than utterly outstanding every time we order . Here at Armley garden centre just opposite WNKD Leeds , we wait most days for the shutters to go up and his shop lighting to be switched on . Within 10 minutes of ordering our food is piping hot and ready to collect. The portion size is always massive and for a very reasonable price, the jerk chicken leg is to die for along with everything on the menu. Amazing flavour and a spicy kick, just what you need in the winter months as a belly warmer . Definitely a rating of 12/10 if we could . We wish him all the best for his future. The very best food place to eat in all of Leeds in our opinion. You won’t be disappointed honestly. Thanks Mr WNKD, see you tomorrow 👍👍

Just ordered the goat hot bowl and the jerk chicken and it was all wicked. The goat was tender and delicious, the rice with it was cooked to absolute perfection and loved that sweet, smoky and spicy jerk chicken. This was not takeaway food, this was home cooked delivered to me. Deffo be having this more often. Fantastic and thank you!

Real nice food, quality over quantity. Friendly staff. This is a clean cosy cafe with a genuine home cooked feel. The Caribbean evening menu is only served for a few hours on 2 nights a week and is highly recommended.

The food here is to an amazing standard you can tell that its quality and it’s always well presented, I would recommend the breakfast which is a favorite of mine or the chicken rice and dumplings are always a winner! You can ask for sides also e.g Mac and cheese or coleslaw!! The breakfast comes clean with no weird black burnt bits stuck to my bacon or eggs and the oil is always clean! Defo my favorite place by far!

Travelled over 40mins from Alwoodley and past around 5 Caribbean restaurants on the way. Was it worth it.....oohhhh yes yes yes it was. We had Mutton, Jerk chicken, coleslaw and Mac n cheese (although Ben tried to steal it from us 🤣) Every taste was to die for. Soooooo so good. We'll be back with the kids and some Baron Sauce ♥️🖤♥️

Just ordered for the first time from here tonight, food was amazing and was delivered exactly on time, will definitely order again!

Tried this place for the first time and will never be back for sure. Paid 8.99 and got a small amount of chicken, probably like 2 tablespoons lol 😆 (look at the 2nd picture). We ordered jerk chicken and jerk bbq chicken though they taste EXACTLY the same. I know 8.99 is not much but this food looks and tastes like it’s just worth £5.00. Or maybe less??? It’s just a tub full of rice with a tiny portion of chicken and a not very nice cabbage on top. Will never waste money on this place again, there’s a lot of good food in Kirkgate market that taste so much better than this. Sorry not sorry.

Just have a second try on Jamaican food. I tried a on-bone chicken with rice and steamed vegetables.(£5.99). The menu is a bit complex. Drinks were not included although there is a drink in the photo on some of the leaflet and you need £1 extra for boneless, as told by the shop owner. Compared with another shop in Kirkgate market, I think the good point of this is the food was also hot and the chicken also had a good flavour. But I would say the rice was a bit dry hard and undercooked. I am not sure the portion per price is good compared to the other shop. There were too many menu standing there and the design logic is hard to follow. The set price of boneless chicken seems a bit different from the menu. Well, it may be better for the recommendation of a fish set over £12 from the shop owner. However it is a bit over our budget as a takeaway that for this price we may sit in a nice restaurant instead with £15?

I didn’t want to do this as I like to support my people but that was disrespectful. The menu stated £6.99, go large for extra £2. I ordered the fish and you said £14, already I was like huh but I paid it as I don’t like to fuss. You said it was that price because the fish was bigger than usual, LIES!!! If that is your big piece of fish I’d hate to see the small. It was a standard/average piece of fish and where was the seasoning??? To make it worse, MUSHY RICE! I was on my way back from the first spoon but my bredrin said nah, allow it but when he started eating he was cussing the food more than me. For £14 where was standard sides like some salad or plantain, not even likle onion or pepper for the fish. Mushy rice and an average piece of fish with some jerk sauce dashed on top, that is not jerk fish!!! I could never do that to people, you don’t have no shame?!?! The food was bad, the price made it a serious violation! We both ended up throwing it in the bin and I went and bought grilled chicken from Mr Mackerel for £7.50 My friends cousin didn’t like or eat the curry goat either, a waste of £38 for the 3 meals. That was a real mockery, NEVER AGAIN!

The lady who is at the shop is very pleasant and communicating very kindly and clearly. The food is very well prepared and good quality great flavours I have tried the dumplings, curry goat and jerk chicken so far with rice and peas and all are top notch. I have been up and down the country and this is one of the best carribean spots with fair portions and prices with a good location.

Drove almost 2 hours to visit here as nowhere near us does anything like this! After a random search on Google this seemed to have what we wanted! The lady who served us was lovely, the food was very tasty and hot. Not too spicy but a decent flavour! Goat curry and jerk chicken was worth the drive! I enjoy the jerk chicken that me and my sister went back for seconds, the lady Priscilla was such a lovely lady she even give us some Jamaican rum cake that was so nice of her, will definitely recommend to visit her once you in leeds. The 4 🌟 is because we only had jerk.

I really love Jamaican food, but I was disappointed today. I went to a place expecting authentic flavours and portions, but the food didn’t reflect that—just two small pieces of chicken. It’s frustrating when people outside the culture take over these spaces without truly representing it. It makes me wonder why more Black people aren’t the ones running or representing our own food and traditions.

Ngl if you guys stay consistent in your food preparation and presentation, you'll be the talk of the whole Leeds. Presentation 10/10 Food 9.5 only cause I ordered a sauce I didn't like so that's on me😅. Overall perfecto highly recommended.

Rice and buterfly shrimp consist in 6 shrimps and some overcooked rice and litteraly a spoon of coleslaw ….no taste just some coriander trhown on top of rice ..
