Victoria Gate Casino, located in the heart of Leeds, is a prime destination for casino enthusiasts. As the largest casino in Northern England and Scotland, it offers a wide range of gaming options including electronic roulette machines, slots, blackjack, poker and roulette. Visitors can also enjoy live entertainment and indulge in delicious dishes at the on-site restaurant. The casino's sports bar provides a great place to catch up on the latest matches while sipping cocktails.
Fantastic evening. The casino was busy with a fun atmosphere. Ate at the new Chinese restaurant and looked after by the lovely Francis and Nori. Drink service from Anthony was superb. Such a nice chap and very knowledgeable. Then a bit of play. I'd been a couple of weeks ago and it was so nice that Tracey the dealer remembered my name and the waiting staff remembered my drink of choice! So special shout out the the young and so keen team of Andie Aaron and zac at the Bar and Brian keeping the drinks flowing and everyone happy. Finally met VIP host Cal who has time for everyone and goes the extra mile to check everyone and I mean everyone is having a fun and safe time! Definitely worth the train trip as easy walk from Station. Will also try to attend one of their special shows and events when back in Leeds as they sound so much fun! Thankyou David

Not impressed tbh. I travelled from Hull to Leeds by train because I was lead to believe this casino would be better….nope. Now admittedly it was a Sunday. I got to the casino about 2pm. Only one card table open, blackjack, and it was fully seated. I prefer 3 card poker. The “pit boss” said that would “not be open until around 9pm”..…..but there was only one card table open anyway !!! So, I resorted to playing slots. After 1 hour I had to ask a member of staff if he could send a waitress/ waiter over for a drink. He did, and that was the only time someone came to serve me. I know, not a major issue, but still ! The casino may be open 24/7 but the games are not. Very disappointing and sadly, I will not rush to return

For the management, I have been visiting VG more than ten times in recent 12 months and enjoy staying there safely without fear of harassing by drunkards, and for the security they are friendly and polite, so I don't think they are rude but if one were a drunkard this will be another story. However two days ago around 1800hr it seems to be a man asking for money, perhaps next time I will seek help from staff nearby . Thanks.
Jiang J — Google review
I love the space and the variety of machines. You (members) get given free play vouchers, which is nice. You used to get more free/discounted drinks with your membership to encourage you to visit. Unfortunately, this offer has changed and gone up in price. You used to get free Pepsi, but now they give you rola cola, which is all syrup and bubbles. The counter staff have all been lovely and friendly. Generally, they're the ones who have been there since the start. They give great customer service and recognise you even when months have gone by. Some of the floor walkers are new and young and don't seem to want to be there and just put their hours in, but that can happen anywhere. Generally, it is a great place to visit whether by yourself or in a large group. They have entertainment and big screen events, and you can book an area with friends. The food has always been nice, not top-notch dining but decent.

Food, service and environment are fantastic but the tissue endangers people's health. Dye of tissue left on the bench after it got wet. Therefore, don't use the tissue there
Cary C — Google review
Avoid I went in yesterday and complained about one of the machines as it didn’t let me have bonus. Then today I got told I wasn’t allowed in due to my Greggs uniform. Then I rang spoke to manager he said that its fine and to come to then be told by another manager I’m not allowed to. This place is a joke avoid like the plague

When it comes to shopping in the heart of Leeds, John Lewis & Partners stands out as a premier destination for those seeking an exquisite blend of home furnishings, fashion, and beauty. This department store chain is renowned for its impressive selection of designer collections, particularly at its Landmark Leeds location. Here, you can explore a treasure trove of high-end accessories like Dior sunglasses and Mulberry handbags alongside stylish clothing from brands such as Weekend MaxMara and Paul Smith.

Purchased from John Lewis and waited a week for delivery. When their delivery crew arrived on Monday they were full of attitude and simply didn't want to deliver the item because it was heavy and he had a sore wrist. They claimed there was insufficient room to manoeuvre and refused to deliver and install the wash tower. We had to follow-up with their shipping dept who refused to listen to anything we had to say, despite providing the dimensions of our access and hallway which was almost twice the width of the product being delivered. Long and short of it, we had to cancel the order with John Lewis because they flat out refused delivery. Ordered the item from another well known company yesterday which was delivered and installed today (Wednesday) with no issue and no fuss. Drivers today couldn't believe our delivery was refused by John Lewis. Will NEVER order from them again. I hope this serves as a warning to others. Hopefully they have enough ethics to post my review with video and photos. Hopefully they take action with their shipping dept, be it, in-house or contractors. Clearly delivery should never have been refused.

Unbelievable how Unbelievable unkept the cafe on the 4th floor. pretty much every table was full of cups and dining waste. The staff walked around and went back empty handed on 4 occasions while was there. people complaining about delays in food. There was no sign of management no sign of pride, zero engagement. Don't get me wrong I love shopping in John Lewis, I love to treat my wife and daughter. The reason we didn't eat was if the outside service was like a bomb had hit it I couldn't imagine what the food prep area was like. get a grip... I wouldn't have given any star but it was the lowest option available!!!

I had such a great experience with Will at Sage in John Lewis Leeds. His knowledge of the products was excellent! He explained everything so clearly and helped me understand which product would be the best fit for my needs. He was patient, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic, which made the whole experience really enjoyable. It’s rare to get that level of care and expertise on the shop floor. Will is a real credit to the Sage team.

I bought a bosch speaker on 9 October. This was sent out on the 10 October and JL messaged me to say it was ready to collect. When I went to collect the speaker, I was told it had been recalled by JL. I spoke to customer services who advised it had been recalled due to a fault with the product and I would be refunded within 7 days. Since then I have found the item was not recalled by Bosch but was recalled by JL because they had mis-priced the speaker. Rather than being honest and saying this, they have tried to place the blame with the manufacturer and lied. I spoke to customer services again last Friday (nine days after ordering) because I still had not been refunded. Eventually they confirmed they had received the speaker back and my refund would now be processed but it may take some time because they have lots of other customers also waiting for a refund. How reassuring (not)!! It's now 12 days since I ordered from JL. I have never been in receipt of the item I ordered, they recalled it without informing me leading to a wasted journey to collect it. I have spend well over an hour on the phone and chat to them. They have repeatedly lied about what had happened and they are still witholding my money. I have been a loyal customer of JL for many years but will be shopping elsewhere in future. The trust has been broken.

John Lewis are such a terrible retailer. They preach customer service but every interaction I have with them is fumbled, not customer centric and stuck in the stone age. Their click and collect policy is absurd, their call centre are not helpful, they struggle to fulfil basic orders like bedding and PS5s. They might have a decent guarantee, but if claiming on the guarantee is as hard as actually trying to give them money and buy something from there, it's not worth considering. I've never known a company make it so hard to give them money in exchange for a product. It's a basic concept that many other retailers have got perfect but John Lewis seem to be stuck in the dark ages. Will never buy anything from JL ever again I'm afraid and I'm totally unsurprised to see news articles about them struggling financially.

We had an outstanding experience with Olivia at John Lewis Leeds in the nursey/baby section. A few weeks ago, we popped in for a quick look at the travel systems. While we were trying to figure out the different configurations, Olivia noticed we were a bit stuck and kindly stepped in to help. Once we had the seat clicked in correctly, she let us know without any pressure that we could book a private appointment online for a full demo and to explore other items we might be interested in. She also mentioned that booking an appointment would give us 10% off everything in the range. It was a really refreshing approach, helpful, informative, and completely pressure-free. Fast forward a couple of weeks, we booked an appointment and were delighted to see that Olivia was our advisor again. She was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. At no point did we feel like we were being sold to. Olivia was incredibly knowledgeable, answered all of our questions with care, and genuinely seemed invested in helping us make the right choices. It's clear Olivia is passionate about her role, and it's thanks to her that we’ve decided to purchase our baby items through John Lewis. Thank you, Olivia, for such a wonderful experience, we really appreciate it.

I shopped in John Lewis, Leeds for the first time this evening. I was quite excited as it was my first time. I had been at Harvey Nichols and a few other stores earlier and the service staff were great, very friendly. It made me happy to shop when staffs are friendly. It really doesn’t cost them anything to be friendly. Unfortunately, not at John Lewis. I was at the women’s floor and had several items with me. The cashier infront of me did not even smile the whole time I stood in front of him, while he was serving a Chinese customer. When he finished serving her, I just stood where I was. I was reluctant to be served by that grumpy face. As if I was going to rush to get served, he looked at me and at a white lady behind a pillar next to me (I hadn’t see her) and he said to me, “she was here first.” Good! A third Cashier appeared and called me. I was quite relief. I thought she would be nicer. To a certain extent she was better. At least she smiled. As I stood for my turn earlier, I noticed they had been asking customers if they were members. With the amount of things I was buying, I thought I should become a member. I quickly downloaded the app. I asked the Cashier serving me and told her I had downloaded the app. She told me first time shopper as member can get a cup of coffee or something. I knew they were about to close but she said, I think she said, I could have the coffee another day. It was 18:24:10 pm. I spent the most in John Lewis and I regretted it. After I paid and walked away. I quickly went back and asked her, “Oh I forgot I had the app.. is it too late?” “Well, there would have been so much for you to do.. fill up.. download.” She brushed me off - nonchalant! No, I DO NOT like the service at John Lewis at all! For shame. I’m not the type to return stuff for the sake of it, but it is really not worth shopping in a place where the service staff made you feel unwelcome.

Rip off merchants! Staff members with attitude. Got a quote, went to another place for a second opinion. Then went back within an hour and they offered me less and then gave me more attitude because I had the cheek to question then ripping me off. You should just go to Cash converters instead. (It’s on the same street!) They actually offered me more than these rips off did in the first place.

I was served by Tom when i went to buy my travel money today. Very helpful and counted the money nicely for me to watch and confirm the amount being handed over. Tom advised me to check my John Lewis rewards and I had the £5 off £150 currency which I was very happy about ! Tom also informed me that I could bring my currency back and sell it if i had any left over, which was great to know ! It’s a shame i’m moving from Leeds, as i don’t have a John Lewis near me, and always love the customer service i receive when i cost the bureau de change. I’m not a fan of ordering online as I can randomly be given a large amount of 50s which isn’t always helpful
