Mexican restaurant

Restaurant
Clavel is a Mexican-inspired bar and eatery located in the Remington neighborhood. The restaurant offers a minimalist yet cozy ambiance with hip hanging lights, wooden furniture, and plenty of green plants. The menu features elevated cuisine including dishes like lengua and huitlacoche tacos with housemade tortillas. The bar boasts an impressive selection of mezcal, offering an educational experience for those unfamiliar with the spirit.
The food is flavorful, it tasted amazing! The place is so well decorated that it makes you feel like you’re in the desert in a good way! Everything was just right! Must try for sure in Baltimore! The chicken mole taco was one of my favorites! I had no complaints it’s a great place all & all. Book ahead a very popular place.

Hey there 👋🏾, I'm Ray and I have an opinion ☝🏾! The food here was really enjoyable. Endearing up spending my pre-birthday dinner here and it was a great choice. Not only was the food good but the atmosphere was a buzz. Sure people were to themselves, it's Baltimore, but everyone was in good spirits, conversing and having a good time. Service was good too, for the most part. I'd go again and would recommend.
Ray M — Google review
Clavel serves up excellent Mexican cuisine, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the perfect mood for a great meal. The service is friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. My favorite was their street tacos, absolutely incredible! The margarita not only refreshing but paired well with dinner. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Mexican flavors in a cozy setting!

For Baltimore, vibes were GREAT - it was packed and LOUD! I would not recommend for families with kids or elderly as the noise can get a little loud, if you’re young that should not be a problem at all. 🎉 Decor was beautiful and what you’d love to see in a Mexican restaurant! Service was great too! I’d highly recommend their watermelon mezcal cocktail, that was sooo good! Food was okay. Maybe it’s good for Baltimore’s standard since it was crowded with a line. But coming from out of town, I’d go only for drinks, dessert (flan) and vibes 😉

I came here for the first time on a Monday night and it was really busy there. We were able to get a seat immediately and the food and service was excellent! I was amazed on how attentive are server was for how busy it was. The food and drinks were all quick to come out.

Waiter did a great job with recommendations. Still thinking about the mock tail he recommended for me. I don’t remember its name but it had bell peppers. Vegetarian options are ok, the meat dishes just looked better
Anna — Google review
The staff is very polite, attentive and were happy to answer questions about meal and their large beverage menu! The food was so good! The tacos and fish were tasty! I would definitely visit again!
Steve S — Google review
We went on a Wednesday for the first time, and the place was packed to the gills. We went to see if we could be seated and was quoted a pretty long wait time. The hostess said to hang tight bc it she was pretty sure she could get is in before 40 mins. I wasn't so sure because there were almost no tables available. I even started to Google looking for nearby restaurants. This lady was on point! She got us seated in about 15 minutes, and the service was polite and fast. Not to mention, the food was fresh and tasty. They treated all customers fairly no matter the background. To be seated and served. The brisket pop up on the menu was good. We will try them once more.

Nestled in Hampden, Baltimore, Foraged is a cozy and intimate eatery that takes the farm-to-table concept to new heights. Chef Chris Amendola's passion for foraging is evident in the hyper-seasonal menu, which features locally sourced and foraged ingredients. The restaurant's warm and rustic ambiance complements the innovative dishes that celebrate the region's bounty, offering both meatless options and sustainable meats.
Went there for a buddies birthday. There were 8 of us. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and drinks. It was expensive but worth the experience. They had 3 course meals and 5 course meals and you could also select your own. The drinks were unique and the food was even more unique. The mushroom stew was probably the tastiest of all honestly. Tons of flavor. I wish I got more photos of this honestly. I would come back again for a 1 on 1 date. It was a nice experience. Be prepared to spend about $200 if you are getting drinks. Worth the experience though. 5 stars so definitely not knocking it at all. I will be back for sure. I hear the menu changes throughout the year so that's one of the main reasons I would want to come back.

Amazing experience, exceptional service. Our server was very knowledgeable, friendly, and aligned with the passion you can feel in every aspect of this eatery. We arrived at 5 and did the 3-course meal, finished just in time to walk in to our 6:40 movie showing after previews. Next time I will give myself more time between dinner and whatever I have planned after because the food and atmosphere is worth taking your time with. Mushroom stew was divine, catfish was brilliant, cake was amazing. Perfect portion sizes - not left feeling over filled or underserved. I can’t wait to come back!!!

My wife and I enjoyed the chef’s table experience last night for our anniversary. It was exceptional in every way. Each course was creative, delicious ,and beautifully constructed without being unnecessarily complex. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun but also fitting for a romantic meal. We really enjoyed watching our dishes being prepared and the interaction with the chef before each course. We will definitely be back.

Our group of 7 friends walked into 'foraged' without a reservation. They were super professional and busy AND they still took the time to see if we could fit at the bar together! We had the most lovely meal ever – pork tenderloin, dishes, catfish, and scallops galore! Our exquisitely made drinks, by Mike, were made with flare! He even made me a bespoke cocktail (when I shared that I was a when I shared that I was a bourbon fan and liked orange juice) and named it after me! The servers were kind and took the time to explain several menu items to us so we would make sure to make the best choices. Our desserts were to die for! We tried the peach cobbler and the apple strudel--YUMMMM. We loved all the decor--the dark walls and the mushrooms everywhere! Don't miss this restaurant in a fun section of Baltimore!
Liz W — Google review
I really like the mission statement of this restaurant. When you arrive, they tell you that everything on the menu is sourced locally so it’s very fresh! The staff is very nice and I enjoyed the ambience, but it was just very expensive. Portion sizes were very small, although the food was delicious. I would recommend this as a splurge snack, then go somewhere else for your actual meal afterwards

This place is on another level. The mushrooms, the stew, risotto, the dessert! Everything tastes like it was made with real care. You can honestly taste all the effort. Just go with the Chef’s Choice, it’s the best move and it’s beyond amazing. Great staff, great foods, amazing restaurant!❤️❤️
Jessie C — Google review
Impeccable service. Delicious food. We did the 3 course pre fixe menu and wine pairing with an additional an a la carte focaccia. We especially enjoyed the fried eggplant, fried oysters and the catfish and scallops - I mean we loved it all! And the wine pairings were amazing. We’re visiting from out of town and hope to be back next time we’re in Baltimore.

Foraged delivers an exceptional culinary journey—simple words like “amazing” barely scratch the surface. The blend of mushrooms, savory stew, and a dessert that seals the experience makes Chef’s Choice not just a meal, but a moment. Highly, highly recommended.

Seafood restaurant
American restaurant
Thames Street Oyster House is a charming eatery located in the historic Fells Point district, offering a classic oyster house experience with a focus on fresh seafood. The restaurant features a raw bar and serves traditional and modern coastal fare. Guests can enjoy their meal downstairs at the main bar, upstairs with a beautiful view of the water, or in a lovely courtyard.
Exceptional service with exceptional food. We tried all of the oysters, and that was a great experience tasting the subtle differences between them. The lobster tail, claws and u-12 shrimp were delicious. The mussels and fluke were great appetizers and the lobster salad was exceptional. Not cheap to eat like that, but this was a great experience for a special occasion.
Andrew S — Google review
I think this was overall one of the best restaurants I've been to. The thing that stood out most was the service, which I would describe as Michelin-lite. Multiple employees even other than our main server coming by frequently to switch out silverware and used plates as soon as we were finished with something. Our main server was new, being shadowed by one of the managers. She did a great job and you would never be able to tell she just started so it seems the quality of the service here starts from the very beginning. There were some deals on happy hour oysters. There were 4 dipping sauces to choose from which added a lot of customization to the flavor. Being based in the DMV and used to the prices there, it really seemed like we got great value on the food. Not sure if the portion size to price ratio is good for Baltimore standards but at least for us we were very happy with what we got for the price. I can recommend all of the dishes we got, the Iceberg Summer Salad, Clam Roll and Scallops, all worth it in my opinion. I will say the two people seated near us both got the lobster roll and it looked really good as well.
Yiran L — Google review
First time in Baltimore and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this place! Our server was amazing. She knew the menu very well gave us amazing recommendations and overall the experience was great. We enjoyed oysters and of course a lobster roll. The lobster roll was perfect. It was perfectly cooked not tough and deliciously buttery. Thereafter, took a stroll by the waterfront. If you’re in the area, definitely a great place to stop and grab a bite.
Liliana C — Google review
The food was absolutely fantastic, with the lobster rolls being the star of the show. It was loaded with tender, succulent lobster meat, lightly dressed to enhance its natural sweetness, and served on a buttery bun . The crab cake was just as remarkable, filled with jumbo lump crab, minimal filler, and a crispy, golden exterior. Both dishes really showcased the restaurant’s commitment to fresh, high-quality seafood. The service was exceptional. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.
Jim F — Google review
The portions were generous, everything was fresh, and the atmosphere was nice. It was busy, so perhaps that’s why, but the service didn’t feel particularly warm or welcoming. The crab cake was absolutely delicious, and the scallop ceviche was fresh with an amazing balance of sweetness and lime—highly recommended. The salmon was a special, so I’m not sure if it’s always on the menu, but I really think they should keep it—many people would love it. Note that they close at 2:30 PM and reopen at 5:00 PM.
Skylar K — Google review
One of the best seafood spots I've ever been too. The oysters were fantastic, and the sheet they give you is very informative. The place is small and busy so make a reservation asap.
Niko — Google review
We had an exceptional all-around dining experience at the Thames. I ordered the Whole Aegean Bronzino with excellent spiced taste that just peeled off of the spine and with a tasty heirloom salad. Others ordered a variety of smooth raw oysters, the Lobster Roll, Fish and Chips, and the Crab Cake which we were all pleased were shared. Teresa Marconi was an extremely knowledgeable and fun waitress, explaining the specials and menu in a straight forward, informative, and engaging way that added greatly to the ambience and our overall experience. Our only slight complaint is that the chairs are not that comfortable. This was a definite top notch food experience!
Kristin S — Google review
What a wonderful experience. This place was recommended to me on my flight into BWI. I checked into the hotel and grabbed an Uber over on a Tuesday night. It’s small and was full but they said I could put my name in at the bar. In less than 10min I was seated. Each oyster/clam was clean, fresh and delicious. The meals ordered around me all looked incredible but the crab cake looked amazing. At first glance I thought it was baked potato based on the size. Staff was all fantastic. I couldn’t recommend this more.

CookHouse is a stunning establishment in the historic neighborhood of Bolton Hill. The space itself is remarkable, boasting beautiful decor and cozy seating options. The menu offers an impressive selection of dishes and drinks that are sure to please any palate. From the delightful Dayana cocktail, made with infused gin, egg white, and edible flowers, to appetizers like mouthwatering blue cheese-stuffed dates and ever-changing croquettes, the culinary experience at CookHouse is top-notch.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I would definitely come back! The food was absolutely delicious. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were amazing, they answered all our questions and gave us suggestions on drinks for what they thought we would like. It was great service.

Nice/quaint restaurant in Baltimore with amazing food, attentive staff, and awesome bartenders. No reservations restaurant but worth arriving on time. Menu constantly changes and not very extensive but you can tell each dish was made with attention to detail and presentation of food (and drinks!) that taste great. Chef's background (Spain, Venezuela and England) shows up with unique twist of flavors in the food for an enjoyable experience.

Came here for a friends birthday, loved it so much I brought my wife a week later. Everything here is on point. Food is high quality and cooked perfectly. Atmosphere is quaint and cozy. Service is super welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back when the menu changes.

Gabe and Bret are cocktail craftsmen. Both are true artisans of the craft. Incredible bourbon selection to pick from and both gentlemen were friendly and knowledgeable. The Food?!🤤 I had the Jidori Egg caviar ( and CLEARLY) I have been getting the wrong type of eggs. It was soft, creamy and set atop a slice of brioche toast, that tasted like it was pan seared in duck fat. The flavors merged beautifully and it was perfection in each bite. Very decadent. I also had their play on Crème Brûlée for dessert. Bar service was exceptional and engaging. Will definitely be back. 10 outta 10, top tier.
J W — Google review
These bartenders are good .. really good cocktails, and most of the food options we tried were right up there too. Steak Frites in particular was excellent. Busy evening, service was a bit slow, the only hiccup.
Sandor P — Google review
Hyper seasonal menus, delightful food and impeccable service! This place will not disappoint. Make sure to try the cocktails. Some of the most beautiful and creative in the city.
Jaclyn W — Google review
A bit regretting coming to celebrate my husbands birthday because even after mentioning it, it wasn’t acknowledged at all. Cocktails are very balanced , black manhattan and espresso martini were both delicious and beautiful. Scallops were ok but didn’t give elote flavor profile and the potatoes served with were ice cold like straight out of the fridge which was not expected, scallops were slightly overcooked. Rigatoni was quite tasty. Service was ok, we arrived right at 6 so there was a line but we were all promptly greeted within minutes of seating. But it was very “hello, sparkling or still, take your order, get you drinks, dessert, check” so pleasantries or personality. No mid meal check ins to see how we enjoyed the meal. No management was present. Later in the evening the two tables sat on either side of us went quite a while without getting greeted, the woman had to ask for service and was sat at a table not fully set. This didn’t live up to the hype or expectation, but it was enjoyable. Not noteworthy at all for a $250+ meal for a party of 2. They either need to step up their quality of service and consistency of dishes or lower the menu price point. I gave 4stars in hopes it was maybe an off night but I won’t be back. Too many great eats in the city. Would’ve been better off just having a cocktail at the bar and going elsewhere for our celebration. Also to add: the signage and website is off- they in fact were open on Tuesday and the steak night is $32 not $29 as the website states. A non issue for us but worth mentioning

Woodberry Kitchen is a trendy, upscale restaurant located in a renovated old factory, offering refined New American cuisine with a farm-to-table focus. The menu features locally sourced ingredients from Chesapeake farmers, including a breakfast selection of freshly baked pastries and traditional brunch dishes. The restaurant has received numerous awards and accolades, contributing to its popularity among both locals and tourists.
Excellent food, attentive and friendly service, great vibes. What more could you want? I’ve been a couple of times and my experience is consistently lovely. The Tavern dining room is small, so I recommend a reservation, especially for larger parties. I think the largest they can seat in their standard set up is 6.

We had our micro wedding with 21 attendees at Woodberry Kitchen in March 2025. We got married on the patio and had our reception inside. We could not have picked a better venue for our wedding - it was the perfect size, price, etc. Woodberry Kitchen is the whole package for weddings and events. Everyone who came to our wedding talked about how wonderful the wedding and venue was - aesthetically pleasing and intimate with amazing food. Jolanta was great to work with throughout the planning process and listened to all of our requests and concerns, and Amanda was fantastic the day of the event, making sure everything went smoothly. If you're getting married or hosting an event in Baltimore, Woodberry Kitchen is a no-brainer for your dream venue!

First, I would say it started off great. I couldn't find the restaurant because I didn't see the name of the building, but the waitress was friendly enough to meet us outside. The restaurant has a rustic feel to it. It's not fancy on the inside, but it has brick walls, hence an old mill. The menu is limited, but I did order a drink. I had the deviled eggs, which is only one egg cut in half. I had the salad, and steak. Honestly, it wasn't my preferred cut, so I only had one piece of the steak. The taste of the food was somewhat bland. For some reason, once the food order was placed, I saw the waitress, but I had to get another waiter to help with some other things, including my dessert. My dessert was the best part of the meal, and please note that an automatic 20% gratuity was added regardless of the party size. I would recommend this location for venue only. The wedding party seems to be the only thing that was a success.

We had an amazing dinner at The Tavern at Woodberry Kitchen. Our reservation was for two at 8:30 PM, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. We started with the short rib empanadas, which were rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The young lettuce salad was light and fresh, and the Everything Spring Salad, while more of a side dish than a traditional salad, was still delicious. The grilled zucchini in it really stood out. For mains, we had the fish and chips, with catfish as the fish of choice. It was delicate, perfectly cooked, and paired with crispy, well-seasoned fries. We also had the tavern steak frites cooked to your choice of doneness, and it was tender, flavorful, and satisfying. The blackberry mojitos were refreshing and perfectly balanced. It's definitely a cocktail we’d order again. Dessert was the chocolate cake, rich and indulgent, and a perfect way to end the night. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable, not just about the menu but also about the restaurant’s history and the neighborhood. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed evening with great food, drinks, and thoughtful service.

As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to work at quite a few venues, but few stand out as clearly and memorably as Woodberry Kitchen. From the moment you walk in, the space feels warm, textured, and effortlessly elegant. The rich character of the brick walls and bistro lights paired with natural light streaming through large windows, creates the perfect canvas for timeless, romantic images. Every corner of the venue offers something visually compelling. What truly elevates this venue beyond its aesthetic is the team behind it. The venue coordinators are not only organized and attentive to the couple’s needs, but they also go out of their way to support the vendors. As a photographer, it makes a huge difference when the staff is communicative, flexible with timelines, and genuinely kind. Their collaborative attitude ensures that the day flows smoothly, allowing everyone to do their best work while keeping the focus on the couple’s experience. And let’s not forget the food—absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to bring my husband here for dinner. Often, vendor meals are an afterthought, but here, the team makes sure that we are fed and if it doesn't work in our timeline, they pack it up in to-go boxes for us. The food is always a highlight in its own right. This venue is a dream for photographers and a treasure for couples. I can’t recommend it highly enough—for its beauty, for its team, and for the exceptional experience it creates for everyone involved. Can't wait to be back! The incredible florals in these images are by Gott Efni or Yarrow Floral Co.

The atmosphere at Tavern at Woodberry is so relaxing — you instantly feel at home. The building itself is gorgeous and gives off such a warm, cozy vibe. Their wine list and beer selection are thoughtfully curated, focusing on local and sustainable options, which I really appreciate. We started with the board — a perfect sampler — and the greens were fresh and crisp. The burger was top-notch: full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and paired with fries that were cut and seasoned just right. Dessert definitely had that “wow” presentation, though it wasn’t our favorite flavor-wise. Grateful for the warm, friendly service and such a tasty highlight to the weekend. 🍷🍔✨

Visited here for a rheumatology conference. So we had the back room in the back patio available to us. Beautiful location with ample space however, the table seating was a little bit tight. The service staff was incredibly friendly and was always refilling drinks and bringing around more option for food. For dinner, we had the chicken and the rockfish. Both were cooked perfectly, but the portions were rather small, so could have used a little bit more to eat. The flourless chocolate cake was good, but I’ve definitely had a more decadent flourless chocolate cake elsewhere.

It was our first dining experience here, and it lived up to the online reviews. Service was fast and attentive......thanks Char! Tried several seasonal cocktails, and they all were enjoyable. The food was flavorful. The stuffed eggplant stood out by itself. The coppa steak could have been plated with a starch and the savory crab pie with some greens. Brunch restaurant
Gunther & Co. is a spacious two-level restaurant with a charming patio that offers a diverse menu of globally inspired New American cuisine and craft cocktails. The venue features various dining spaces, including a central dining room with a striking living plant wall, an elegant heated patio with fire features and a koi pond, and even a chef's counter for an interactive culinary experience. The restaurant is housed in the renovated boiler room of the historic Gunther Brewery, adding to its industrial chic ambiance.
The eclectic take on seafood and the variety of offerings on this menu are like no other. From the raw bar to the full menu this is the place for everyone just don't tell the tourist. The atmosphere matches the menu, plenty of variety in the vibe you want, fun Happy Hour crowd with music or romantic dinner. The also have a lifted room for large private gatherings.

I decided to try a restaurant in Canton. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I liked the concept of the brick walls. I started with a Baileys on the rocks, and as you can see from the photos, I had a glass full of ice with only a shot of Baileys. Yes, I sat at the bar. Next, I tried the passion fruit lemonade. This restaurant offers a limited menu for brunch, so I would recommend coming for dinner; however, on the day I went, I was told they were closing early for a private event. After studying the menu for a while, I selected the Caesar salad. It doesn't have the usual Caesar taste. The dressing was green and had a tart taste to it. Also, they used baby spinach, and they added pickled onions. Next, I ordered a hamburger well done, but it wasn't, and my fries were overcooked. I enjoyed the frozen lemon meringue tart. Also, I tried the biscuits, and they were hard and cold.

Celebrated my daughter's birthday at Gunther & Co after reading the phenomenal reviews. Had oyster samplers, Brussels sprouts app, Yuzu vodka cocktail, scallops entree, and the table sampled the array of amazing desserts. Service was fantastic, and everything we tasted was sensational. The cocktail was light and lovely, the pickle brine oysters were my personal favorite, the Thai-inspired brussels - 🤌👌, the scallops melted in my mouth, and just whooooooaaaa on those DESSERTS... Well done, G&Co! It was an experience to remember!

Definitely 5 stars! The ambience is perfect. What was previous a brewery has become a very nice restaurant, with industrial and modern architecture. The food was spectacular. We had octopus as an appetizer and for mainly dish, duct and short rib with brown risoto. We went there for my husband’s birthday celebration. When making my reservation, I kindly asked if they could provide a desert with candles and “happy birthday” on it, and they did it as a surprise. Highly recommend!

I came here with a group (6) for dinner on a Sunday. All of us enjoyed our food - rolls, duck breast (pictured), roasted chicken, fried chicken, tagliatelle, eggplant, chicken sandwich, sherbet and sorbet, cheesecake, and key lime tart (pictured). The service was impeccable, the music playlist was relaxing, and restaurant was a beautiful space. I will definitely be back.

Bday dinner ( 7/23/2025 -5:15 pm)Our host was kind and so very charming and attentive. We sat in the beautiful outside area. The ambiance was WONDERFUL. There is a bar outside also; they have a happy hour. The food and drinks were great. There is parking near by at no cost. I will return to Gunthers!

The pork chop was out of this world!! Lick my plate clean level sauce work. A member of our party is gluten free so for a 5$ upcharge we could add crudité to the hummus plate (and the flatbread for the rest of us was magnificent). I was expecting a few carrots and celery but the plate of raw veggies was a beautiful variety. That was a lovely option for all of us! The server was very knowledgeable about the GF and cross contamination aspects of the menu so we appreciated that greatly. Also the Basque cheesecake was so yummy!! I don't live in this part of the country but this was "drive all night back to Baltimore" good.

Dinner at Gunther’s was amazing. We shared a few appetizers and each did not disappoint. The space was a revitalized industrial space (brewery) with beautiful brick and metal accents throughout. The area was well-lit and open. Bathrooms were clean. Our server was attentive and descriptive when talking through different dishes. We started with the baked oysters, grilled octopus, crispy pork belly, and Brussels sprouts. I had the duck breast for the entree and it was perfectly cooked, soft, and flavorful. For dessert we shared the pumpkin custard and some spice bread. Cocktails were balanced, just had the old fashioned like drink myself. Overall, definitely recommend a visit and will come back in the future!

Wow! We found this place by mistake. Kismet knew what she was doing! This place was so warm and comforting. They had a Ramadan menu. The place was decorated with colors and plants. Warm vibes like someone invited you into their home. The staff were amazing. We had some amazing food that took me back to my childhood. It is a beautiful place that's perfect to eat and hang out. Thank you Lisa and Alexis for making this a great time! If you haven't found this gem in Baltimore yet then I beg you to go!

Everything was so good! It was fresh and tasty, cooked to perfection! It was so good that i ordered every dessert 😋. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the young waiter didn’t seem excited. However, everyone else made up for it. Great food, great place, i will definitely come again and bring others again!!!

Really Tasty. I had planned to go to Sammy's Trattoria, but it was closed for lunch. So I did a Google map search for the same area, and Mera Kitchen Collective came up a few blocks away. So Good! I really liked it!

This was my second time here. I think I preferred the first time. I got the kebab but was surprised to find only one kebab stick present for the price paid. My friends had the Chicken and fries. They weren’t too excited about it either. The service was good however. But I’m not too sure I’ll be back.

Lovely lunch spot. I had the za’ater salad with falafel, and my husband had the Burkinabe plantain-avocado bowel with steak. The pistachio lemonade was a refreshing delight!

I stopped for lunch by myself. I was seated at the community table although there were other small tables available. Service was good but not great. Perhaps not a spot to grab a quick lunch. My server took their time, and seemed confused when I was ordering, not sure why. The food was excellent. I ordered their weekly special dip which was what I needed for a hot day and some falafel to go with it.

American restaurant
Rooted Rotisserie, a French-inspired restaurant led by Chef Joseph Burton and his skilled team, offers mouth-watering slow-roasted chicken. The ambiance is described as classy and elegant yet unpretentious. While the prices are on the higher side, patrons feel that they receive excellent value for their money. Ordering is convenient through a QR code system, allowing groups to order from their own phones and split the bill if desired.
Started with the Lib Wings — crispy on the outside with just the right amount of seasoning. The house-made ranch was a great addition, especially for balancing the heat from the spicy pepper sauce. The rotisserie chicken was a standout: juicy, flavorful, and elevated by a rich chicken demi-glace that gave a comforting, home-cooked feel — something you rarely find in restaurants. The Pepper Steak with Yellow Rice was underwhelming. While the peppers and onions were well-seasoned and flavorful, the rice lacked seasoning, and the steak was slightly dry and not as tender as expected. The Trois Fromage Mac & Cheese was solid. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the breadcrumb topping added a nice texture. The cheese sauce wasn’t overpowering but flavorful enough to keep you coming back for more. The Fried Brussels Sprouts were the star of the evening — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with shallots. Easily a 10/10 dish. Granddaddy’s cologne- taste like an old fashion m Spicy margarita- thumbs up. Overall, I’d give the restaurant an 8/10: definitely worth a visit, especially for the Brussels sprouts and rotisserie chicken.

So I didn’t post my review on carryout but I said let me try it in person needless to say both let me down. The food is overwhelming drenched in oil like everything my potato was old in the center and fish needed at least salt just blah. See photos it looks good but not a winner for me. They were not really busy but the server took more than 15 minutes to greet the table and 2 tables that were seated way after mine were served first not sure of kitchen system. For the price point I would expect food and service to be elevated.

I've wanted to try this place out for a long time and finally got the chance. The servers were friendly, but it was difficult to hear them since the music was so loud. It was a very hot day, and they only had a couple of fans running. We ordered a couple of drinks which we felt were very expensive for what was served. However, the cocktail tasted really good. We ordered wings for our appetizer. I'm not sure if the sauce went with the wings. It didn't make it taste better because the chicken was very bland. We then ordered the bronzino and duck gumbo. Both dishes were delicious. The fish was well fried, leaving the meat juicy and tender. The duck was the main star of the gumbo. It was really good. However, the gumbo itself was rather salty. If I did go back, it would definitely be for the duck. Hopefully, they'll make another duck dish without the gumbo.

Wonderful ambiance and great service. The rotisserie chicken is incredible and the chicken breast in particular was one of the best I’ve ever had. The charred shrimp appetizer and the brussel sprouts were also delicious. We had a wonderful dessert as well that I can’t remember the name of. This is a Baltimore gem and should definitely be on the top of your list if you live in the area.

Rooted Rotisserie is black owned by a husband and wife duo. I attended this restaurant due to an event with That Good Peace (Instagram @thatgoodpeace) and @CharmCityTable. I tried the charred shrimp which included fennel spice shrimp with micro greens. Also I tried the Maryland crab dip which had lump crab, cheddar cheese and was served with very brioche that was very soft. I also tried the smoked mushroom bowl with saffron rice, crispy, brussels sprouts black garlic dressing balsamic glaze, which was amazing. I also had the peppers steak and yellow rice, which was red wine bra, short rib, and saffron rice, charred bell peppers, and onions, which was very delicious. The Parmesan truffle frites are my favorite and the mac & cheese is made out of a creamy three cheese sauce over cavatappi noodles and breadcrumbs. Amazing their beverages their sour sop lemonade is a must have! The service was superb. They were very attentive and welcoming. The ambience is very soothing and gives like visiting your grandma‘s house with historic pictures of family and it just has a good feel good feeling.

We had a great experience at Rooted Rotisserie! The wine selection was surprisingly good and paired well with the meal. The chicken breast was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned—definitely a standout. We opted for the plain fries, which tasted a lot like McDonald's fries in the best way: crispy, salty, and satisfying. We selected the plain fries as they were the only other side not topped or cooked with butter or cheese, alongside the Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were also a hit—flavorful and roasted just right. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Sensational food! Amazing resturant! Everything was delicious. I had the half chicken, fried Brussel sprouts, and char grilled shrimp! I would give 6 stars if I could, especially for the shrimp which was amazing 👏🏾 I highly recommend this place and I plan to make it a priority to return here again soon.

The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the crab dip, rotisserie chicken, LIB wings, mac & cheese, broccolini, and truffle Parmesan frites and every single dish was spot on. The flavors were rich, portions generous, and it all came out perfectly cooked. The staff was so kind and welcoming. We came in without a reservation, but the bartender went out of their way to make us a table. That kind of service makes all the difference. The music and ambiance created such a fun, relaxed vibe the whole experience was a 10/10. Highly recommend this spot!

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the historic Butchers Hill neighborhood, just a couple of blocks away from Patterson Park, Marta Fine Food and Spirits is a contemporary Italian leaning American restaurant that opened its doors in late 2020. Founded by the husband-and-wife team of Matthew and Marta Oetting, this eatery offers an array of delectable dishes such as standout crudos and house-made pastas.
My wife and I went for a dinner date on Saturday night for a 630 reservation. We were promptly welcomed, seated, and provided menus. Our first impression was that it was very loud. This would be my only negative critique. Our waitress was attentive and personable. Our food was well paced and delicious. All dishes were delicious and had appropriate acid and salinity. We felt the food was upscale italian with a twist or modern feel. We valued out time there, and are already planning our next trip, albeit for just dessert and drinks at the bar one late evening.

Sunday Birthday Brunch date June 2025 with a few of my favs! It appears to be in a quaint & quiet neighborhood on a corner. We had reservations for 11:00 AM and the crowd was light. It wasn’t packed to capacity with a bustling line out the door like a lot of these brunch places can be. We tried a few things but starting off with their freshly brewed coffee alone, we knew we were in for some good eats, the coffee by itself was just so fresh & good. We knew this would blow our minds so we ordered just one for the table to share, the Lemon Ricotta Pancake Soufflé, everyone said they only wanted a tiny piece to keep room for our full meal but bay-bee, once we dug in, it was over, it was amazing!!! We all kept piecing off of it until it was gone, which did not take long at all between 4 people, it was the perfect combination of flavors, even with the warm drizzled syrup it was still not overly sweet, you’ve got to try it. For entrees we ordered Eggs in Purgatory (X2), Eggs Benedict, Campanelle Zafferano & a Caesar Salad. Everything was cooked to perfection, we all had an opportunity to taste a little of everything and not one complaint at the table. Out hostess was very nice, being our very first time, he was patient and answered all of our questions and offered up his best suggestions as well. So happy to have had this experience, will be back to try more of their delightful dishes.

Visited January 2025 for a birthday. Restaurant is tastefully decorated and food aesthetically pleasing but the service is poor enough that those factors don't make up for it. Several basic service failures were disappointing, like enthusiastically offering a bread refill and then charging extra for it at the end; asking if we wanted our pancake to come after the savory main course, but then doing the opposite of what we requested; pouring the entirety of the oversized maple syrup directly on the pancake without ever asking; taking 20 minutes to collect the bill when we had the credit card waiting since it was initially dropped off; long wait times between courses in general; etc. Nothing egregious, but not what you would hope or expect at a restaurant that advertises itself as being "fine" dining. They did not seem understaffed at any point either; if anything, there appeared to be more staff than customary in a small space with few patrons. The pasta was good, but not good enough to warrant another visit or recommend this restaurant.

I had such a wonderful time at Marta! Our bartender/server, Zach, was absolutely incredible—friendly, knowledgeable, and warm. He made us feel like family from the moment we sat down. The cocktails he crafted for us during brunch on Friday, August 6th, were phenomenal—handmade with care and perfectly balanced. Zach’s knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his recommendations were spot on. Every dish we tried was thoughtful, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell that Marta’s business model is built around quality and care—it truly shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. This was, without question, one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you, Zach, and the entire Marta team, for making it so exceptional!

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and had noted the occasion on our reservation, but it went completely unacknowledged. The lack of warmth from our server — not even a smile — made the evening feel impersonal. Between a bottle of wine, appetizers, and entrées, our bill came to about $200. Sadly, both the food and service fell short of expectations. For the same price, there are plenty of places that offer a more memorable experience in both flavor and hospitality.

Excellent fancy Italian. Great vibe, drinks and food. Highly recommend everything we got. Tuna cannoli crudo, beet carpaccio, crab spaghetti carbonara, bolognese rigatoni, duck breast 2 ways, branzino, and tiramisu afogato. All was excellent.

One of our favorite meals in Baltimore. TLDR: Marta provides an upscale casual vibe in Butchers Hill. Great food and service. Get dessert. We got a same day reservation for an early dinner and were seated immediately. Our server was funny and friendly, not to mention very attentive. For starters, we had the yellowtail. As sushi lovers, we could pass on this appetizer - nothing bad but nothing to phone home. There was a tad too much salt and the raw vegetable took away from the yellowtail in our opinion. We also got a Caesar salad and they split it amongst two plates so it was easier to share. The cheese crisp on top was savory goodness. Perfect Caesar salad, no notes. For our mains we got the Steak con Salsa Verde and the Ziti Bolognese. The ziti bolognese was soooo good. The pasta was extremely fresh and the serving was pretty generous. The bolognese was the good amount of richness. The steak con salsa verde was also a standout. The steak temperature was to our request and extremely tender. The salsa verde is an Italian salsa verde, which is more similar to a chimichurri than a tomatillo salsa. The Roman gnocchi it came with was like a croquette, perfectly crispy. Lastly, the DESSERT! A MUST at Marta. We were torn between 3 and ended up getting 2 to share. The first was a mango passion fruit cheesecake and the tiramisu affogato. The marscapone with the tiramisu affogato was unbelievably light. The textural/temp combo of the fresh shot of espresso with the ladyfingers and the marscapone.. chef’s kiss. Highly recommend. The mango passion fruit cheesecake was also delicious. The cheesecake was on the lighter/creamier side than a dense cheesecake. Very delicious. The tangy sauce was a good balance. It also came with small pieces of merengue that added a delicate touch. My only comment is I wish there was some more fresh fruit incorporated- I think that would really complement this dish well. Overall, if you’re in Baltimore or just visiting, I highly recommend- we will definitely be back. Thanks to Marta staff for a wonderful visit!

Peter's Inn, located in Fells Point, Baltimore, is a unique and beloved restaurant that has transformed from a former dive bar into a warm and cozy spot known for its farm-to-table American fare and craft cocktails. The owners have successfully combined an intimate atmosphere with a menu that blends contemporary American and international flavors. With an ever-changing menu that adds an element of surprise to each visit, Peter's Inn offers a modern take on gourmet New American cuisine.
Went to Peter’s Inn for Date Night and it did not disappoint! The Martini service was excellent, as was everything we ordered. Be sure to try (if available, the menu changes frequently & is handwritten, a charming departure from QR codes) the Burrata with Beet Gnocchi, any item that includes their Braised short rib & the vanilla gelato with olive oil and fennel!

Glad to have finally made it! Fantastic dinner, started slow but once things got moving, it was great! Ugh the shrimp, halibut, and steak were all cooked perfectly! Everything paired well on each plate! Only thing I would change would be better mixing the shrimp pasta so the sauce and pistachios are more fully mixed in and then there's no seasoning on the burrata. A little freshly ground pepper and/or salt would go a long way, they leave that on the table for you. Very fun night, will be back!

My new favorite restaurant in Baltimore. We went to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant is small and cozy. Squeezing through chairs is part of the experience. I loved the ambiance and charming decor. They have a delicious house salad and the garlic bread is a piece of heaven. We had a fish entree, short rib entree and a pasta dish. Everything was amazing!! They offer a new menu on a regular basis. So good! Highly recommended.

I went to Peter's Inn with my coworkers and it's a night I truly won't forget. From the outside, the restaurant might look like a dive bar. You wouldn't know this restaurant offers a fine dining experience. The ambiance made me feel like I was in one of those quaint, personal, intimate NYC restaurants. Soft lighting, few tables, very moody. I loved every second of the vibe. We ordered tons of food. Every appetizer (oysters, shrimp cocktail, pâté, caviar), salad (super simple and delish) and garlic bread (cheesy, herby, no clue what was on it but it was absolutely incredible and I would eat an entire loaf), espresso martinis, Palomas, Negronis, etc. The entrees change week to week, so don't get to attached to any one thing (follow the Facebook page to get the menu!). It's obvious that they use the freshest ingredients and make every selection with careful consideration. The steak is one of the few items that's always available, and it was simply incredible, seared to perfection, juicy, just delicious. I had the beef short rib in croutes which was unbelievable. Overall, it's a spot that you must experience. It's perfect for date night, a gathering with friends or a solo night eating at the bar. I can't wait to go back! I would have taken more pics but we dove into everything too quickly!

This is a restaurant with HEART! Don’t come with bad moods or in a hurry, order whatever the devil on your shoulder tells you to (steak with foie!) and just enjoy it. The hand written menus and busy buzzy atmosphere are charming. Staff was busy but cool as a cucumber and really lovely. Perfect antidote to the corporatization and franchise-ization of today’s restaurant industry. Long live Peter’s Inn.

We were in town for a wedding and booked dinner here. We only had appetizers but everything we had was phenomenal! The espresso martinis were great, and our waiter was wonderful! He answered all our questions, and when he didn’t know the answer he asked the chef/owner himself. Would recommend to anyone visiting Baltimore!

This was my second time dining at Peter's Inn and the food was, or course, 10/10. The steak is the best I've had in Baltimore, the garlic bread was top notch, and the drinks were great. I will be back for sure, but I will try to avoid sitting at the bar again for dinner. My mother and I were seated at the end of the bar for our reservation, which we did not mind at first. However, there were 3-4 servers/bartenders behind the bar at all times, yet we had to flag people down for everything, even though we were sitting directly in front them. The bartenders did not voluntarily check on us or look in our direction the whole night. No one behind the bar greeted or looked at us, offered to take our drink order, bus our plates, or place a food order. Instead (and frequently) the servers and bartenders would group up to converse and joke around with each other *directly* in front of us while we sat there with empty drinks and finished appetizer plates. It was almost comical- 5 servers 2 feet away from us hanging out for 5 minutes and not a single one even looked in our direction. It was frustrating, especially because the first time I dined here (at a table), the service was good. I'll be back for the food, but the bar service....beware!

While everything was very pricey, the fresh made Burratta was not the best I've have had, the "stracciatella" center was not soft and creamy like it was supposed to be, it was actually firm and not so tasty, but the Seared foie gras, fig jam, red wine reduction and rye & hazelnut bread crumbs was very delicious as well as the Hamachi Crudo and the Oysters were Great too!

Chaps Pit Beef in Baltimore is a popular spot known for its pit beef sandwiches and homestyle sides. The pit beef sandwich, a regional specialty of Baltimore, features thinly sliced char-broiled roast beef on a kaiser roll with various condiments available for customization. Chaps is renowned for serving arguably the finest pit beef sandwich in the city, where the bottom round is cooked over charcoal and sliced thin to your desired temperature.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chaps, and I can't recommend it enough! I ordered the pit beef sandwiches, and they were absolutely excellent—succulent, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The fries were fresh and irresistibly delicious, truly amazing with the right amount of crunch. Additionally, the cleanliness of the establishment was impressive, making for an enjoyable dining experience. The service was incredibly fast, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, this spot deserves a solid 5-star rating! I can't wait to return for more of those fantastic sandwiches!

Ribs were well done and tasty. But that BBQ sauce that they put on was awful. I was only able to eat the ones that didn't have the sauce. Fries were too greasy.

We had been wanting to try them for quite some time, but since we live a few states away, we just haven't. We were finally in the area and it was a must have. Man did it not disappoint! The beef is super tender and flavorful. The sausage has a little heat. The turkey was full of smokey flavor. The fries were hot and crispy. Horseradish sauce was just right. The kids loved theirs too. All in, it was wonderful and we would not hesitate to eat here again!

Lives up to the hype. Better than I thought it would be. Cooked perfect medium rare. A taste thrill if you like BBQ. The bun is fresh, moist and flavorful. Tasty horseradish sauce. Green beans are unique and good if you like stewed tomatoes like I do. Unique tasty baked beans. Good Mac N Cheese. Good fries - I would order the fries well done or extra crispy. Good Mac salad. New location is nice. Hope to get back here.

This place was great. We were passing through from Philly to Virginia and grabbed dinner. We don’t have any charcoal type places where we’re from. The charcoal flavor comes through and it was delicious. The girlfriend got the roast beef platter (beef over fries smothered in gravy), I got the habit sandwich (beef, Turkey, ham and cheese). . Everything was delicious, fast service on a Friday night at 6pm

My wife and I stopped in and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. As truck drivers, we’re not in the area often, but since we were parked nearby, we decided to give it a try for dinner. (There’s enough parking on the road next to the restaurant for a bobtail, and it’s two-hour parking.) I ordered the Triple D, and my wife had The Raven. Since it was our first visit, I asked the staff for recommendations—and I couldn’t have been happier with their suggestions. I love that they ask how you’d like your beef cooked (medium rare for me), which is a unique and cool touch. I added pickles, onions, and tiger sauce to mine, and it was absolutely delicious! The food was so good that we went back the next day for lunch before heading out to pick up a load. If I’m ever in—or even near—the area again, I’ll definitely be back.

Loved everything about this place. Location, customer service, and especially the food!!! Got a pork bbq sandwich, baked beans, and some banana pudding!! It’s all 12/10!! Flavorful and delicious. The bread on the pork sandwich was perfection! I hate hard bread on sandwiches and this was soft and just heavenly.
LL0206 — Google review
I rolled up to Chaps Pit Beef near Essex ready to finally try Baltimore’s infamous pit beef. Big mistake. I loaded up my sandwich with tiger sauce, but right away—no white onions available. The sauce station was a disaster, empty pumps and sticky mess everywhere. When I told the staff we were out of sauce, they literally just said “pump faster.” Cool, thanks. Here’s the real problem though: the beef was completely flavorless. Like, shockingly bland. No seasoning, no smoke, nothing. For a place that supposedly specializes in pit beef, how do you mess up the main ingredient that badly? The horseradish sauce had some bite to it, but it can’t save meat that tastes like nothing. I don’t get the hype. Maybe I caught them on a terrible day, but when your signature item is this underwhelming, something’s wrong. Gertrude's is a sophisticated restaurant located within the Baltimore Museum of Art, offering New American cuisine with a local twist. The restaurant, owned by chef John Shields, is known for its locally sourced farm-fresh food that pays homage to the region's culinary traditions. With a scenic backdrop of the museum's sculpture garden, Gertrude's provides an elegant setting to savor regional specialties like Chincoteague Single-Fry Oysters and house-made soda flavors.
Location, atmosphere, seating, service, and the menu! Gertrude's been hiding out at the Baltimore Museum of Art for some time now. I discovered Gertrude's while attending a candlelight concert honoring Lauren Hill at the BMA. The food and drinks were flavorful and delicious. They offer a variety of fine surf and turf items and some house specials on the drink menu. Their not too pricey pricey. The candlelit atmosphere gave it a cozy and classy feel. You can dine inside or outside under the stars while gazing at the beautiful garden fountain. Gertrude's dining experience made our date night truly one remember for years to come.

I really wanted to give Gertrude's a higher review. It is a nice clean sit-down restaurant, there is just nothing special or extra about it. Gertrude's is very conservative, from the coffee to food and the dining room. The food was nice, but it lacked any type of flavor or seasoning, which is good if you don't like a lot of seasoning or extra flavoring. It's definitely convenient being in the Baltimore Museum of Art.

My first dining experience at Gertrude’s after the Candlelight Concerts featuring the Best of Bridgerton on Strings. When you see the white linen tablecloth at a restaurant, you expect a fine dining experience. Gertrude’s didn't disappoint with the menu options, libations, service, and ambiance.

Gertrude’s atmosphere is truly a gem from its stunning outdoor seating and sculpture garden and proximity to the museum. I had lunch at the bar and only had oysters and a few cocktails.

Perfectly fine place to grab a bite whether you’re at the museum for a visit or wish to make a special event if it as a stand-alone restaurant. The martini I had was marvelous but the rest of the food was unmemorable. A crab cake that was good but surrounded by two tasteless sides: potato pieces that were far too large and some greens. The views of the sculpture garden when sitting outside are very lovely but you won’t walk away talking about the food: for better or worse.

Fine dining at a museum. What more could you ask for? The wait staff is very nice and the food is even better. They will customize any meal to your desire. The eggs Benedict and crab cakes are what you should go for if you’re hungry. Worth it!

I have lived in Maryland my whole life and I've never visited Gertrude's before. Gertrude's is a lovely restaurant on the 1st floor of the Baltimore Museum of Art. We only had appetizers and drinks while there. Everything was great, from the food to the drinks to the service. I especially enjoyed my calamari and my second drink which was some kind of sangria. They also provided this type of rosemary bread and cornbread free for the table. I am not much of a cornbread eater but I loved loved the bread. Oh the hush puppies were really good too and they served them with apple butter. Yummy!

Gertrude’s Chesapeake Kitchen is warm, welcoming, and full of flavor! The menu celebrates local ingredients with a modern twist — think fresh seafood, hearty dishes, and creative cocktails. Cozy, charming atmosphere with friendly staff makes it perfect for brunch, lunch, or a relaxed dinner.

Spanish restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurante Tio Pepe is a long-standing family-owned Spanish-Continental restaurant located in the heart of Mount Vernon. With over fifty years of history, this landmark establishment offers a cozy underground dining experience beneath a distinctive red awning on Franklin Street. Owned by Madrid-born Emiliano Sanz and his nephew Miguel Sanz, the restaurant is known for its authentic Spanish cuisine and warm hospitality.
Always such an excellent evening. Try the secret menu item “Lobster Emiliano”, it is fantastic. Order it though when making your reservation.
Mike B — Google review
One word: mediocre. Service slow, not fine dining, server barely spoke English, didn’t introduce his name. All dishes came out bland, without much attention to detail of presentation. Appetizers: muscles tasty, but served without bread or dipping toast for the green sauce. I tried sautéed mushroom toast, not impressed one boring looking toast came out. Dinner we got lobster Emiliano which was decent, but over lays with sauce, and I got sea bass, after traveling the world in search for the best fish, this preparation and the serving style was 3/10 for me. Seabass was covered by an overwhelming brown salty caper sauce, masking the tender flavor of the fish. Dinner Served with rice and green beans, not much flavor, beans did not taste fresh, (frozen?) overall I was not impressed. Red Sangria was great & the highlight! Although I understand, this place has been in business for many years, my recommendation would be to consider an evolution and advancement of their menu items alongside with a more creative presentation of their dishes.

This place is legendary. Im now 48 and my mom said she came here while pregnant with me. Food is very tasty, service and smiles excellent! I really enjoyed the garlic shrimp appetizer and stuffed rockfish. I can definitely see why local folks keep coming back. I believe I'd feel a bit more comfortable if the restaurant was in a location unburdened by underground moisture smell and those elements that go along with an older establishment. Overall, very nice experience celebrating my mom's 73rd bday.

We celebrated my son Matthew’s graduation from Peabody Conservatory Masters program with supper at this iconic Baltimore establishment. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent and exceeded my already high expectations. Extra kudos to our primarily Spanish speaking waiter, he was outstanding in every respect. We indulged in sumptuous oysters Rockefeller as well as Tio Pepe’s special version, oysters topped with crab and smothered in champagne sauce. We sampled the puffed potatoes (sort of a three dimensional homemade potato chip that is addictively delicious), and incredibly savory mushroom toast, highly recommended. From rack of lamb to paella for two, our entree’s were cooked to perfection and served with military precision, exactly what one would expect from a first class Spanish Restaurant. Refreshing ice cold red Sangria flowed freely from a seemingly bottomless porcelain pitcher. In an era where glorified sandwich shops and Tapas bars substitute for what once was fine dining, Tio Pepe is a refreshing trip to times gone by. Thank you, thank you for never changing. We will return soon.

Over all I would say that the food was okay, the chicken is slimy but the chocolate roll and salad were immaculate. Service was very good, make sure if you come you know Spanish. The atmosphere was okay a bit dark but it could make due.

My husband took me there for our anniversary last month. The way the hostess greeted us was rude. She was looking at us like we were beneath her. Like we were lost. Her attitude changed when my husband said we have reservations. So that set the tone from the start. It's too dark in there; like a cave. We could barely read the menu. You can tell the menu hasn't changed in decades. My husband liked the food. But he also will eat a shoe. However, I didn't like it. The crabcake was okay. A little bit too salt, but it was huge. I had steak with some kind of sauce. The sauce was cold and the steak had no flavor or seasoning. I had a side of green beans which was delicious. The saffron rice tasted old. Our waiter was excellent and provided great service. I was disappointed because we had high hopes for this restaurant.
Lola Y — Google review
The shrimp in garlic sauce was not the same. They were over cooked. Oysters with crab and champagne sauce was lacking crab and sauce was not so good and they were under cooked. Sangria was great like normal. My steak was over cooked on the edges. The dessert was a disaster. I have been going to Tio Pepe's for 50 years and I will not go back. It makes me sad
Patricia D — Google review
Tio Pepe's restaurant is a long lasting Baltimore tradition. Unfortunately, the front door is not wheelchair accessible since it's down a short flight of stairs. I'm told that there's a way for wheelchair riders to access Tio Pepe's through an alternative entrance. Call in advance to find out how to activate entry by wheelchair if that's needed. The walls are whitewashed rough stone with little arches between the various small and medium rooms. Because of the rough stone walls and the relatively small rooms, the sound level in the various dining areas is pleasantly quiet so it's easy to hear what your dining companions are saying. The service was good, and the variety of menu items was excellent. I had a very good steak, a Spanish cream of onion soup, and a Tio Pepe's salad. The steak came with sauteed string beans and rice. Parking is in a multilevel parking structure across the street. The price of parking is reasonable. Tio Pepe's is a bit on the pricey side. I recommend it.

Restaurant
The Food Market, located in Hampden with a second location in Columbia, offers a unique dining experience. The restaurant is known for its quirky and playful atmosphere, featuring art-filled walls and a bustling bar area. Chef-owner Chad Gauss presents creative American cuisine with one-of-a-kind riffs on familiar foods such as cheesesteak steamed buns and Corn off the Cob beignets. The smartly designed industrial-modern space focuses on serving sustainable cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients.
I have been here many times, but realized I never wrote a review so there’s no better time than now to share my thoughts. We recently visited the food market because of their customer appreciation event where they were offering 50% off the entire menu. This was something new as I don’t believe I remember them doing this type of event, but it was so thoughtful of the restaurant to do this. Regardless of the discount this restaurant is a must visit as they are consistently producing top-notch quality dishes. Not to mention, the service was amazing given how crowded the restaurant was this particular day. Our server Nadeen was amazing. She was attentive, prompt, and made sure we were well taken care of. This restaurant is suitable for families or just as perfect for those looking for a more intimate date night. However, because of its location, location they don’t have a designated parking area therefore it is a street parking situation. Now moving onto the food ! They have a pretty decent number of items on their menu and I think at this point I have tried just about everything and I can’t say that I dislike any items. I’ve tried so far. However, I will share some of my favorites. I love their giant mozzarella stick. Considering it size it somehow still stays altogether and super crunchy with just the right amount of cheese pull. We also got their street corn wedge salad, and that was amazing. It was super light and paired so nicely with the ranch and the shrimp. And of course, they’re famous cheesesteaks also delicious with very tender pieces of meat paired with their really soft chewy bread. And while I’m not one for mocktails I got their Gucci lemonade, and it was so refreshing, not overly sweet and paired perfectly with my meal!

Started coming here in 2018 for special occasions and I do think it’s gotten a bit worse over the years. Previously, the food would stand out as some of the best and most creative, and now I’m not sure if I would really remember the last meal. When paying a premium for food, I do hold it to higher standards after spending $200 on a meal. Steak was a bit over medium rare. Partner’s steak was under. Lobster Mac and cheese was just not good. Not enough cheese sauce and the noodles were a bit dry, tossed with a few chunks of seafood. Fries were a bit soggy. Drinks and app were delicious. Tables were so cheap, my husband leaned on it to get up and the whole thing toppled over.

I was looking for another restaurant but I really believe my Google maps womsn dont like me she sent me the wrong way and I was so hungry and standing right in front of this restaurant so I went here. so I had chicken cheesesteak egg roll which is wonderful. I but into it and the juice from the meat flew out. it wasn't greasy fried just right the meat season well. just one of the best I ever had. I also had the lobster roll which wasn't good too much mayo and no seasoned. my friend had the cream of soup which he enjoyed and the street tacos which he said was just ok. but i did enjoy the French fries that came with each dish very crispy and nice crunch to each.

5/21/2025 - The last time I ate here was in 2017, and I loved it. We would come several times a month. The service received from the hostess station throughout the entire restaurant was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and didn't forget a thing whenever an item was needed. She absolutely didn't mind handling my requests. The bathrooms were clean. The tables and booths were also clean. Unfortunately, some restaurants that have wooden tabletops are sticky. Unfortunately, the food wasn't so great and very pricey for the quantity and quality. Cream of Crab Soup was shockingly delicious. It was luke warm. I'm thankful that I ordered it because everything went down hill quickly after the soup. I added extra crab meat for $10, which made my bowl of soup $24. I think that they make their soup with very little crab meat to force patrons to pay $10 for the crab meat that it's missing. 1/2 N 1/2 aka Arnold Palmers are a whopping $6 per glass. If you don't know what these are......a glass with 1/2 iced tea and 1/2 lemonade. They were unsweetened and tasteless. Wow! Gucci Lemonade (blackberry lemonade) was almost as bad as the Arnold Palmers. Steak Frites (NY Strip) was small for the price. It was tastless and rubbery. $43 Steak Frites (Wagyu) was tough and tasteless. I think that I was lied to because I've NEVER had Wagyu taste like this or be this difficult chew. $45 The steak entrées were served on top of dessert menus. Why in the heck would management allow this to occur. Just place them on the table. This was weird on every level. Stop it! Fresh Cut Fries, of course, were good but needed to be salted. Chimichurri Potatoe Salad was tastless with humongous chunks of potatoes. We spent almost $200 for two Cream of Crab Soups and two orders of fresh cut fries because they were the only items that were actually worth eating. It was shocking to come to an expensive restaurant and not be offered fresh pepper and sea salt shakers. I think that this restaurant charges patrons enough money to be able to afford to offer us better salt and pepper options. I packed up 95% of my meal in hopes of fixing it at home. We were not pleased with this experience at all. Great restaurant if you have Diabeties or dietary restrictions because nothing is seasoned and/or if you want to waste money on overpriced mediocre meals. 7/4/25 - Someone from out of town begged to go to The Food Market, so here I am again. Nicks Double Burger was ok. Had a nice amount of sauce. The sauce made it so the burger didn't need mustard and ketchup. The beef had no flavor. Cut Fries aren't FRESH at all. They must be bagged fries. $5 ummmm, not worth it, especially for the portion given. Deep Fried French Toast was terribly greasy.....YUK! Who came up with this awful idea?

The food was delicious!!! We got 3 or 4 appetizers and 5 entree's between 4 of us. The prices were good, the drinks were good but the food was too due for!!! If I'm ever in the area again I'll be back! I didn't get photos of the appetizers but we got the lamb chops, meatballs and pork belly. We got 2 blackened tuna entree's, a burger, the steak tartae and the duck lo mein. Everything was so good and I'm glad they had a mocktail/ Virgin cocktail options as well. I got the Gucci lemonade. The blackened tuna was too die for and was definitely my favorite, especially the salad that comes with it and the sweet potatoe Rangoon. We had a reservation for 7.30pm on a Thursday night. The place was packed, I do not know how long the wait would've been if we didn't have a reservation. In total our bill was around $235 before tip. This included 5 meals, 3 appetizers (they also give you fancy popcorn for the table), 1 mocktail, 1 beer, 1 cocktail and a soda. For 4 people it wasn't bad and we only had a little bit of leftovers because we were all starving and saving room for dessert.

My husband and I loved this place. It was our first visit and we were not disappointed. We ordered Beets by Chad, Fajitas and the Salmon BLT. The food was phenomenal and the service was too. We're visiting from North Carolina and The Food Market will definitely be on my list of places to visit when I'm here.

Happy hour is good. I had the garlic shrimp and cheesesteak bao buns. 3 stars because they changed the portion size of the crab balls for the spicy pasta and it used to come with melted mozzarella cheese on top. For $36, the crab is super minimal and not even jumbo lump. Maybe the Columbia location is better.

Nacho Mama's Canton is a lively cantina in Baltimore that infuses Southern and Mexican flavors while showcasing an eclectic mix of Elvis and Baltimore memorabilia. Known for its unique twist on classic Mexican cuisine, the restaurant offers specialties like crab quesadillas, Orange Crushes, and Natty Boh tallboys. However, the true highlight is their hubcap margaritas served in actual hubcaps with variations such as the Graceland, Blue Suede Shoes, and Priscilla.
This is a great restaurant and bar. Our server (Taylor) was exceptional. We spent several hours in the restaurant, celebrating a 30 year reunion. The drinks and food are very good. I recommend the crab nachos, they are unique and delicious.

After 15 years of indulging in my quesadilla and Hubcap Margarita fix, I made my final visit to Nacho Mama's in Canton, Baltimore, as they prepare to close their doors in January 2025. This past Saturday was a bittersweet farewell for my group of 20, who had to wait about an hour for the 3 large tables in the back to open up—but it was definitely worth the wait. We ordered several Hubcap Margaritas to share, along with nachos and seafood quesadillas, all of which were delicious and packed with flavor. The atmosphere at Nacho Mama's is a perfect reflection of a true Baltimore dive bar, offering a lively, down-to-earth vibe that makes you feel like you're hanging out in your friend's basement with a drink in hand. Over the years, it has been a beloved spot for locals to gather, make memories, and enjoy good food and drinks. While we’re sad to see it go, we’ll certainly miss the warmth and charm it brought to Baltimore. Thank you, Nacho Mama's, for the great times and unforgettable memories!

Last evening after the Ravens game we decided to come to this location for some food and a drink . Plus side of this review food was great . Why this place is getting one star, is because our 30 some dollar hubcap had absolutely no alcohol in it . My friend raved that she had one before in the past and it was great . So hey why not try this famous hubcap. We even mentioned it to a server with the reply oh the sugar didn’t settle yet . Well all this drink was is a fancy cool aide . I’m mad I spent my hard earned money on this drink … what a sham . Not sure if I’ll ever be back, shame because the food was good . Wish we watched them make it, but who does that .?!

Mediocre Mexican food. Chips and salsa tasted like it came from a bowling alley. The fajitas came drenched in some sauce which made it seem more of a stir fry than sizzling fajitas. Best thing from the meal was the guacamole and the bottled beer. The warning sign for the place should have been the pizza and wings listed on the menu of a so called Mexican restaurant.

This place is funky and unique! Indoor and outdoor seating, our service was fast and everyone was so nice. This is the perfect place for hanging with friends or a casual date night! The deep fried Oreos are to die for but everything was delicious from the queso to the entrees. This is definitely a place to try if you love Mexican food and a fun time!

Went here on a whim. The food was absolutely delicious! We originally went inside to eat, kind of small inside but very cute and comfortable. Unfortunately there was a drunk guy at the bar that kept screaming and giving the finger... So we moved to the outdoor seating. Best decision ever. Plenty of space, great waitress, food was hot and came out pretty quickly. It was even raining that day but under the tent we were dry. Definitely check this place out. The Chesapeake Pizza was to die for.

I've been to Nacho Daddy's back in Las Vegas so I figured it was only fitting that I stop at Nacho Mama's over here. And it was a great place to eat. The appetizer came out quickly. Our entrees were all fantastic. The waitress was great. Some of the booths are a little smaller so we had to move. But it wasn't a big deal. They also had a nice range of hot sauces at the table, even this clear sauce!
Taryn R — Google review
The place has a nice Elvis theme and a couple of good beer options on the menu for Happy hour. $2/bottle for corona and modelo. Quick and efficient service. Food is totally tasteless and rather bland. $6/taco with just a few fried zucchini pieces no beans/guacamole/addition is a big rip off. Absolutely no vegan options. Hope that will change soon. An extra 3% if you pay using your card !

Whether sipping on expertly crafted cocktails at the bar or indulging in a sit-down dinner, guests are treated to a dining experience that pays homage to classic American cuisine while incorporating locally sourced ingredients.
First I'm not sure where else you can go to get this view of downtown. I'd profess the 13th floor.... But I'm dating myself, knowing that place is long gone! You will need to come out your pockets to dine here, but it's worth it. The drinks are incredible. Service was impeccable. The menu does switch around. We had the shrimp cocktail, squash florets, prime rib, & pork loin. All highly recommended

We loved the amazing views! We were here celebrating a birthday, and the staff surprised us with a complimentary ice cream sundae — such a thoughtful treat. If it’s your first time visiting, one thing to keep in mind is that the meal presentation and menu items can change frequently. What we saw in recent reviews didn’t quite match what was on the actual menu, so it’s best to stay open-minded. Also, if you have food allergies, I’d recommend calling ahead to confirm what options are available for you. While most of our selections were fantastic, we felt the steak could’ve used more seasoning — we didn’t end up finishing it. Everything else we ordered was delicious, and the drinks were excellent. In terms of pricing, although many reviews mention a budget of $50–$100 per person, we found it more realistic to plan for at least $150 per person.Valet parking options are available. If you are able to walk or take an uber. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and definitely worth visiting!

I’ve been to The Bygone twice now—once for brunch and once for dinner—and both times were outstanding. The brunch buffet was fresh, flavorful, and felt elevated, not just “standard.” Dinner was just as impressive with beautifully plated dishes and attentive service. And the view? Absolutely stunning—especially at night when the city lights sparkle over the water. This place is more than a meal; it’s an experience. I’ll definitely be back.

🚨 THIS REVIEW IS ONLY FOR THE BAR AREA 🚨 We visited The Bygone on the 29th floor of the Four Seasons Baltimore and it absolutely delivered on everything you’d want from a rooftop bar experience. From the moment we walked into the lobby downstairs, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive—setting the vibe right away. Even on a Thursday night, the bar wasn’t overcrowded at all, which was honestly perfect. It felt like we could actually relax and soak it all in without fighting for space or service. Once upstairs, the views over the Inner Harbor were stunning. They have two gorgeous indoor decks with floor-to-ceiling windows plus an outdoor terrace where you can actually take your drink outside and get those panoramic views. The decor is honestly one of my favorite things about this spot. It’s got this classic, art deco-inspired look—lots of polished wood, tufted leather, rich velvet, and beautiful lighting. It feels upscale and timeless without being stuffy. The bar team was great too. Our bartender was super knowledgeable and friendly, offering suggestions and chatting with us while making the drinks. Service was quick even though it was busy enough to feel lively. The cocktails themselves were solid—very well balanced and tasty. They average around $20 each, which for Baltimore might be considered a bit on the higher side, but for a rooftop in a luxury hotel with those views and that vibe? Totally worth it. It’s the kind of place that really feels special—a fantastic date night spot or a place to celebrate something. Overall, we loved the experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their night out in Baltimore. 5 out of 5 stars from us—The Bygone is one of the best rooftop bar experiences in the city, hands down.

Went here on a date during a weeknight, we made a reservation for 8 pm. We were seated promptly, and everyone was very welcoming. The ambiance was quite nice, the views are great, but it's hard to complain about the ambiance and views in a waterfront restaurant. The food was amazing, the chef here has a knack for flavor combinations and presentation, my only complaint was the timing, which was absolutely ridiculous. Took an average of 40+ minutes to get drinks out; they said they had an event going on at the bar which leads me to believe their manager either understaffed them or their bartender(s) weren't up to the task of one event and a restaurant that had maybe 5 tables. While their alcohol selection is good, I ordered two French martinis and got two very different drinks each time, neither of which I would call a French martini but oh well. The house cocktails were good but again all of these were at least a 40 minute wait so that definitely detracted from the experience. Then when the food also took forever to come out, we ended up having multiple long moments with neither drinks nor food on our table. I don't know if the kitchen was having a problem or what was going on but some courses came out at a decent rate and others we were waiting almost an hour for. All in all, it took about 4 hours to get through our meal. For a place with food as good as this I'm very disappointed that I walked away thinking I should've just gone to Charleston, or that their chef worked anywhere else.

Absolutely spectacular & 1/3 the price of comparable places that, frankly, are technically great but less edgy & more predictable. Sit at the counter & watch the camaraderie of these guys; they love sharing & creativity, and you can feel it. Every course was fascinating & new. Fidel is kind & open hearted. We need to attend the bake sale (announce them on socials, guys! The tortillas are heaven). They didn’t rush us, and it was such fun. What a great place. Well return. If you don’t like what this incredibly creative group is doing, check your soul haha. Thanks, Fidel & all, for a wonderful evening. Loved every bite & the whole vibe. We still can’t believe how fairly priced it is, for all that you get. Rare, in this town. Keep it up, we can’t wait to see where you go in the future. You get it.

I had the creamy veggie pasta with lime — tasty, though the flavor combo was a bit unusual, definitely for an adventurous palate. My husband had the chicken — it was a solid 10/10!

When here, Sunday night group of three, we had reservations and service was very prompt on the ball. Bree was our waitress. She was alert quick very knowledgeable. She made the whole dining experience really pleasant. The food, the food was really good very large portions. We had the fixed price Sunday meal which was I thought extremely large portions the price I was actually before we ordered an appetizer and then we had a fix price $45 appetizer entrée and dessert. We all had stuffed mushrooms, extremely flavorful. I had a tiramisu for dessert. I come from a background and fine dining and I haven’t had Italian food for a long time so really felt good to get down there and the experience was really delightful. I really enjoyed it and I’ll definitely be back again. It might be one of those places where we go once a couple weeks it was enjoyable where you could literally get anything. You know you can get a pizza or you can get me the meat of it was really good. Great wine selection. I can’t say anything bad about.

I discovered Cosima while visiting another restaurant in the area. They offer free valet parking and outdoor dining. I didn't get a chance to sit at the bar even though I had a reservation for a bar table, which is actually a high-top table, and it was better. The service was great, and the food was tasty, even though my experience was filled with a lot of questions.

Such a great staff! Attended one of the wine dinners, and it was amazing. Will definitely be going back! Great craft cocktails, food, wine, and desserts! Looking forward to the next set of events!

I have always chosen this as my go to date spot. The atmosphere is always wonderful. Eclectic music, spanning from 90s trip-hop to modern psychedelic pop. It offers a very chill and sensual dining experience. The lighting is perfection on the first level and patio, although on the mezzanine it’s a bit too bright. The patio has an incredible setup with string lights, heat lamps and a garden. It is situated along the Jones Falls, which offers ambient sounds and lovely sights. The service is always top notch, super helpful and informative staff. They have rotating seasonal menus which makes it exciting to keep coming back. I recently had an incredible intimate date and even though it was close to close everyone was so polite, but we made sure to leave… never want to be that guy that stays until close 😅 highly recommend the gnocchi and expansive wine list. But wish it had more vegetarian/vegan friendly options. Plus it’s a bit pricy for small portions, but the quality meets the price

Cosima is now top of the heap as a "special occasion" place for my wife and I inside the city. I was legitimately exited to see if they could recapture the mastery of seafood (specifically sardines and anchovies) we encountered in Sicily, and they did so beautifully through the eccentric lens of American fine dining. The liquor and cocktails were excellent, as you would expect, but the bread, of all things, made the biggest impression. Yes, if you're accustomed to affordable family restaurants like we are you might roll your eyes at paying $4 for a small loaf of bread. None of that matters because the crust tastes like it was baked seconds before arriving at (perfect contrast between crust and crumb), and I can literally taste the herb butter every time I mention it, and I've mentioned it to a lot of people at this point. As one would expect of a restaurant of this caliber, the service staff were attentive and knowledgeable. They worked around our myriad allergies with patience and grace. That said, Cosima's staff earned special status in my mind because they went above and beyond to help me retrieve valuables I had dropped at the restaurant. They were incredibly patient throughout, and totally saved my bacon as someone who lives a considerable distance away with small children and no free time. I am in their debt, and they are in a tier of their own as far as customer service is concerned. If I had to ding Cosima for anything, it would be the parking situation, specifically that the venue is somewhat hard to find from the road (despite their best efforts with signage). That said, they've done just about everything they can do to improve it, up to and including complimentary valet. There is simply a price to be paid for using a historic venue that was never designed for food service. That said, now that we've done it once and know what to expect, its a non-issue.

Excellent spot for delicious Mexican food with a lively atmosphere! We tried the quesadillas and fajitas, both were flavorful and perfectly prepared. The drinks were refreshing and paired well with the meal. Service was friendly and attentive throughout, making the experience even better. We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating on the sidewalk, which gave off a fun, laid-back Baltimore vibe. Definitely a place we’d return to and recommend for a casual night out.

We tried this place today and were impressed by the bold Mexican flavors. The rich layers of avocado, cheese, and generous toppings really stood out. The Bean Avocado Taco and Veggie Taco were definite favorites. The Beyond Meat version, however, was a bit underseasoned — same with the burrito. That said, their Verde and Picosa sauces truly lifted the experience. Don’t skip those!

The restaurant features an array of Spanglish dishes paired with an extensive selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. Located at Quarry Lake at Greenspring, this spinoff of The Food Market in Hampden showcases a diverse beverage list including draft beer, Mexican sodas, mojitos, and sangrias.
I've been here a few times, once for lunch and twice for dinner. Each time I'm never disappointed. The food is so delicious and creative. Prices are high and portions aren't huge, but the food tastes fresh and high quality. Can't say enough good things about the food. I've never had what most would consider an "attentive" server (during busy times and slow times) but they are pleasant the few times they come over. This is a great place to share a phenomenal meal in a relaxed "be seen" setting. Highly recommend

The food and the decor was great. Biggest negative was the automatic door behind me constantly opening and closing during my meal letting in the hot summer air. I enjoyed the margaritas and their version of a Miami Vice. We will be back to try the regular menu...taco tower looks VERY enticing.

I enjoyed everything I had. The street corn ribs were so tasty and fresh. The sauce that came with the mussels, Delicious! I wanted to drink it straight from the bowl! The pork belly in the pokè, crispy with a hint of sweet. Paired with the guacamole, rice and crispy skin, I couldn't stop eating it.

Definitely a MUST TRY. After doing some shopping , I decided to stop by and give the place a try . I got there right when the doors opened at 12pm . The place is large in the inside with plenty of sitting either at the bar or in dining area and very clean . I decided to sit at the bar . The bartender was real cool. The calamari is by far my favorite 😍 it was made to perfection . The tacos( turkey , fish and pulled pork ) were beyond fulfilling . The strawberry margarita was just an added bonus . Maggie's Farm is a cozy and cheerful family-owned restaurant located in Lauraville. It prides itself on using locally sourced farm ingredients to create globally inspired comfort food. The restaurant offers a variety of brunch specials, including the popular fried chicken and rosemary waffle made with organic, locally sourced chicken. In addition to its delicious food, Maggie's Farm is also known for its creative bar program, offering signature cocktails like the smoked Sazerac and barrel-aged pecan Old Fashioned.
First time visiting and I absolutely loved this cozy eclectic brunch spot. It's a small space, but worth any type of wait. The flavors are bold and the portions are generous, so don't be discouraged by the price. The drinks also pack a punch! We enjoyed the brunch burger, chipotle chicken sandwich, fried chicken & waffles, and the MF Cinnamon bun - all made fresh in house! We also had a delicious Syrian dessert (I cannot remember the name, but it was similar to a baklava filled with some cool cheese filling, pistachio, and rose). I was stunned by the food. The fried chicken & waffles was the best I have ever eaten. The fatty peppery pork sausage gravy paired with the sweet smokiness of the hickory smoked syrup was magnificent. The staff was friendly and attentive. You can tell how much they enjoy working with one another and for the restaurant. It definitely is a friendly neighborhood spot. I cannot say enough great things about this place! I do recommend a reservation!

Excellent service, intimate atmosphere and delicious food . . . who could ask for anything more? A spontaneous decision to go to lunch turned into an entire afternoon of fun! Besides the staff who were very attentive, we also spent our day seated at the bar engaged in friendly conversations with many other patrons. Everyone was complimenting the generous portions, flavorful food, and specialty cocktails. Each plate that came out looked mouth-watering good and gave us food envy. We will definitely be visiting again to try all of the amazing options!

Best scratch Kitchen . We are so lucky to have this restaurant in our neighborhood. We got our reservations and got seated right away. Colorful decorated . The rib eye were delicious enough to share for 4 people. I love Grits and love Ordering them every time we go down South but Maggie’s Farm are spectacular. Delicious flavor , smooth and enough flavor to complement the Shrimp. The he temperature was perfect and I love the presentation. the Andouille was delicately cut nice size bite Shrimp was perfectly cooked and the spinach melted in your mouth. I’ve ordered a Paloma Spritz which paired the incredibly well with this dish. The Chef came by our table to ask how we liked our food and his wife our server did an amazing job missing our drinks. This hidden gem in the Arcadia Beverly Hills Historic District is a must see. Nondescript on Harford Rd itself, with its entrance on Montebello Terrace, it doesn't look like anything more than a small neighborhood dinner. Passing through the Patio, up the 3-step approach, one enters into a dark but cozy mid-space. Passing an impressive wine rack on the way to the dining area and bar is your 2nd indication this is a special place. The first is the prominently displayed Baltimore Sun's 2022 award for best cocktail. The server team effortlessly integrated their duties to make sure we were never ignored. Having had the lucky fortune to arrive a bit before the brunch crowd, the award winning mixologist, Dana Saeed provided us with tastes and samples to whet our imbibing palate before delivering a superlative Cosmopolitan and Classic Negroni. She also was able to serve up a cold shot of Chartreuse, before creating an imperfect but so incredibly tasting riff on a The Last Word cocktail. I'd never go back to the original recipe, except much like the Chartreuse liquor itself, Dana's contains secret house made additions that far overcame the lack of 1 of the original ingredients. For appetizers, we had the dumplings where the sauce made even the watercress delectable. Our party had a Montecristo, an eggs and grits with bacon, and a seared duck with veggie potato hash that puts all other home fries to shame. Proudly featuring Zekes coffee from just up the street, they served us an incredible chocolate topped cheesecake with a sweet foam, drizzled with dark chocolate. This little out of the way treasure is our new goto for celebrations, after work drinks and really good food. Because of the special drinks we ordered it was a bit pricey, but so very worth it. YMMV.

Okay, hear me out, this place is DELICIOUS. This was our first time here for brunch. We ordered: croque madam, thee steak and eggs, and the bread pudding. If you're in a hurry, here is the summary: it's a little pricey, but the food was FRESH and perfectly cooked and seasoned. More info: The staff was friendly and attentive. The place is small but this building is from the 1920s, so expect cozy seating. The vibe is cozy, intimate, but also casual. The restaurant is owned by a young couple and is very much family-owned. The staff clearly loves each other and their customers. I even witnessed the owner doing some basic sign language for some regulars who are hearing impaired. Since everything is fresh, they make to order and can customize. I recommend getting the homemade biscuit instead of the English muffin because it's made in house. The croque madam is excellent. It's a nice balance between a sweet brioche bread and salty ham. The bechamel gave a nice creamy taste in between the layers of thick ham. The steak and eggs was delicious. I recommend medium rare because the end pieces are more likely to medium with the center slices cooked perfectly. The chimichurri wasn't too intense and didn't have an overpowering raw garlic taste, it was delicious. If you get the homemade biscuit, get the jam and butter with it. The jam is something special. They were out of cinnamon rolls by the time we got there, but their rolls look amazing. Instead, we got the bread pudding which was made with their cinnamon rolls and had a peanut butter ice cream and glaze on top. I love peanut butter and it was like dying and going to heaven. This is a great spot and brunch was first come first serve. I heard that reservations are good for dinner though because it is a small establishment. They have regular updates to their menus and new specials all the time from the looks of it. I'm not sure if they have a handicap entrance. There were steps going up the door that I saw. They don't have a parking lot but there's parallel parking outside and plenty of spaces at the Safeway next door.

Visiting Baltimore and so glad we stopped in. The hype is well deserved! I got the Crab Mac n Cheese, my friend got the same (but with a veggie dog.) Both were DELICIOUS. Great ambiance and even better service. Matt was personable, anticipated our needs, and made sure we left content. Would definitely recommend!

My girlfriend and I were craving hotdogs. We googled hotdogs and came across Stuggys. We went for lunch around 3pm. Matt was friendly and greeted us immediately. The music added to the atmosphere. He recommended the frank zappa dog and my girlfriend loved it. I got the buffalo dog and I can’t stop thinking about it. I think I had wet dreams over that dog. The chef, Andre really knows what he’s doing. 10/10 to him. This place is now my favorite spot in Baltimore.

Friday night around 5:00 PM when we arrived the place was empty. However, the weather wasn't ideal (drizzling, misty, rainy; whatever it was wet out). The dining area is clean and spacious. On the menu, there's a dog for everyone. Turkey, veggie and waygu beef are available weiner options. I met Matt, who was at the counter. A very personable, intelligent, and respectful guy. We talked about the weekly specials, and my son told me about all the most popular hot dogs that they serve. If you've frequented Camden yard, Ravens stadium, Capital one arena, or CFG Bank arena you already know. So I ordered the Crab Mac n cheese dog and chicken wings. I was delighted, and I'm hard to impress, but the taste and quality of the food is top notch. However, while waiting for our order, Matt gave us a complimentary serving of a new menu item. Garlic parmesan fries. The garlic fries 🤘🏻 were really good, and between the three of us, we finished them all and wished we had more. There are so many options and choices that all look very appealing... sammies, sides, fries(duck fat fries), burgers, and wings, to name a few. My crab mac was as delicious as the hype about this place for good price. This place rocks! High quality and a large assortment of hotdogs and burgers to keep you entertained. You just can't be health conscious to eat here. Each item probably takes a year off your life. But it's sooo worth it. For me, the big wow is how darn good the atmosphere is here. I had a nice experience at Stuggys gourmet dogs! This is a great place for hot dogs or Saturday night trivia from 7-9 PM. Stuggys a bare-bones fast-food spot serving franks & sausages with diverse toppings, plus burgers & fries. Easily deserves a 5 stars. OhMyGosh ‼️ Matt makes a mean Margarita

We stopped by for some dogs and stumbled great Ravens game day specials-- $15 dog +fry and drink, also beer specials . Dogs and fries were great! I had the crab Mac n cheese and my wife had the Chi-town--- both great! Will. Definitely stop by this newer location again.

Miss the old Stuggys. First, I watched the cook walk in and go straight to the line and start making our food(he did put gloves on, but handwashing for an open kitchen is a must). Didn't have the item i wanted, so i settled for the Bruce Lee dog. It really lacked flavor, I drizzled some Mango Habernero over it and that saved it. All of our buns were over toasted, especially the hamburger buns, which were completely burnt. We were the only people in there so I was expecting a good product, some of my criticism could have been handled with just a little attention to detail. In an economy where food is expensive everywhere these things make the difference whether someone comes back or not. Bartender/server was extremely nice though.

Restaurant
Tortilleria Sinaloa is a popular Mexican eatery in Fells Point, known for its homemade tortillas and authentic cuisine. The restaurant has been a staple in the area for over 15 years, with a dedicated team that continues to serve up fresh tacos, tamales, and seasonal soups. Some of the original crew from Sinaloa still work at the shop, bringing their traditional recipes to life.
The only reason this spot gets 4 stars for atmosphere because it is strictly take out. Not a place to eat your meal. The homemade corn tortillas are the best on the East Coast let alone in Baltimore. Service is friendly and efficient. Great chorizo and eggs. Authentic Sinaloa which is difficult on the East Coast. This review is from a native Californian where we have the best Sinaloan Mexican cuisine in the country. This place rivals any Californian restaurant as far as authenticity.

This unassuming Mexican spot in the Upper Fells neighborhood is a hidden gem. Their prices are reasonable, people who work here are lovely, and the food is quite decent. Tacos/tamales are delicious (they have lengua!), and their eggs with sausage & beans are a solid hangover cure. Most importantly, this is my go-to spot for tortillas; they make tortillas fresh in the restaurant and sell them in kilos: perfect for taco days at home with friends! Worth noting, the place is quite small, but I never had an issue finding a spot. Also, it is mainly for grabbing a quick bite, so don’t expect a sit-down restaurant experience.

Exceptional tacos and guacamole! Had the Al pastor and carnitas — both were great. The habanero and tomatillo sauce that come with were excellent. Guac is pricy but you get a lot. Primarily a take out spot but they were super fast—didn’t wait more than 5 min for my order. One of the best I’ve had in the neighborhood—will definitely be back

The best tacos and tamales I’ve had in a long time. I ordered three tacos (barbacoa. Asada. and chicken). The barbacoa taco was my favorite! It was juicy and tasty! The tamales are also delicious! This place makes authentic Mexican food, unlike so many other Mexican restaurants. The service was fast and courteous. The food is to-go only. There are no tables or chairs to sit on the premises. I walked a few blocks to eat on a harbor-front bench, though! I paid around $24, which may sound expensive; in reality. I got a lot of food, I highly recommend this place next time you’re in Fells Point!

This place is a must every time I’m in Baltimore. I don’t think the owner is Mexican but most everyone who works there is and they make thousands of fresh tortillas every day. I love stopping by early to eat eggs and chorizo when the tortillas are fresh & hot. The tacos are a must and I particularly love the barbacoa & al pastor but you can’t go wrong with any taco option. They make good tacos de lengua too.

Just north of Fells Point is a small taqueria popular among locals. Walk in and order at one of two registers. Within 10 minutes, your order will be ready. There’s a long window table, but most people get their order to go. Here’s my experience: 1) Menu: It’s large and includes tacos and other platters. My wife and I ordered the chorizo tacos. They were full of flavor, but more dry than other chorizo tacos we’ve had. They came Mexican style with onions, cilantro and salsa on the side. We also ordered guacamole, which is where we went wrong. It was way too limey and more watery than solid. It’s among the worst we’ve had. Guacamole is a staple so it made us wonder about this place. 2) Service: It was friendly and quick. 3) Space: It’s a quintessential taqueria with no-frills. It’s perfect.

This establishment makes their own fresh tortillas daily! I was very impressed, upon entering, that a man had a tortilla-making machine running at the front counter. I ordered two tacos with extra chicken. The tacos were ready in two minutes. Needless to say, the tortillas were delicious. The chicken was dry, but flavorful. Curiously, the texture and flavor of the tacos were more reminiscent of a Chinese wonton than a taco. Despite this fact, the tacos were scrumptious. Two zesty sauces were also served with the tacos. I appreciated the tasty radish garnish. Don’t count on the tacos to fill your stomach. I would need ten tacos to fill me up. These tacos, however, are a tasty treat (and worth $10)!

A wonderful little spot at the corner of a busy, vibrant corner of Baltimore. This latina owned business brings a creative and thoughtful take on Mexican street food. I ordered quesabirria tacos with guac online. I was given a pickup time. I gave it a few minutes and then went inside (after pickup time). There were a few people inside. The employee behind the counter had her back turned and did not turn around to greet new customers, take orders, take names, nothing. After waiting for about 5 minutes I got her attention and gave her my name. Didn't get word on when my order would be ready. Nothing. I waited inside for about 15min before my order was ready. The food was okay. The dipping sauce was watery and oily. Note I also gave a tip in advance when I ordered online because I heard the service and food were great. This is the reason I do not like tipping in advance, especially for pickup orders.

Was craving some really good authentic tacos and this place gave me what I needed and more. First of all when you enter you smell and the meat and spices cooking up. You can feel the authenticity in the atmosphere. The menu is extremely unique and versatile. Once you get a smell of the fumes you just want a little tasteof everything. I got the mix and match tacos and a quesadilla. The tacos come with your choice of meat and fixings how you want. The quesadilla was massive and packed with flavor. I’m an extremely picky eater and this hit every note just right. Everything was seasoned perfectly and you can just taste the freshness. Not to mention the portions. You’ll definitely have leftovers. They even had samples of fresh frozen fruit mixtures. Like fruit popsicles. Not something processed but light and natural fresh. All I tasted was fruit. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try asap.

I saw this restaurant on the TV PSA for vaccinations in Baltimore as we were searching for someplace to have lunch. I am so glad fate stepped in! The service was excellent and speedy. We chose to get our food to go and eat back at our hotel, but there was limited seating inside. It looks like when the weather is warm there is likely some seating outside as well. The food was so good I couldn't stop eating it even when my tongue was on fire from the spice! The chipotle sauce is no joke, but it's so good! We got chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, cheese and pepper tamales, and el esquelator (nacho fries). All were excellent! As a bonus, the art inside the restaurant was beautiful to look at while we waited for our food and I was happy to see the sign outside that it is a woman owned business (obviously by the name). We will definitely be back next time we visit the city!

Wow ... been wanting to come here for a while and man. Was it worth the wait ... yes ... am I ashamed I waited so long to eat here? YES! Tacos are great .. tried the al pastor, steak, chicken, and shrimp. Favorites were shrimp and steak. The al pastor were kind of disappointing. I’ve had better. Meal came with a complimentary delicious berry tea The place is small with minimal seating( some stools and a few tables outside) lots of cool artwork all over the place Staff is great. Super friendly and helpful My new favorite taco spot in Baltimore!

This place is small and cute. The Tacos and tamales tasted really good. They slightly messed up my order. I ordered two corn and one flour tortilla. They gave two shell and flour tortilla. I would highly recommend this place.

Absolutely spectacular - I haven't had chilequiles this good since my trip to Mexico City, and I get them as often as I can. The tepache suave was delicious and went perfectly. Beans and rice were perfection. I genuinely might go back tonight.

Nice and clean restaurant. Service was prompt and food was very good and freshly made. We ordered pork burrito and chicken quesadilla. Both were pretty big and tasty. Will visit again.

My wife and I stumbled on this local gem by accident. The other restaurant was closed and decided to take a chance. As soon as we walked in, the sensational aroma of good food hits you pleasantly. Then looking around at the size of the portions I got excited. I ordered 2 al pastor and 2 carne asada tacos. I was so full that I had to take a nap when got home. My wife in the other hand ordered the Sunday special with barbacoa tacos and soup. This was out of this world. I have to come back with my kids to eat at this authentic Mexican place. By the way service was quick, helpful and efficient. The restaurant is not huge but if you are hungry, I recommend this place 100%.

Tijuana Tacos & Deli is a charming taco stand located on Baltimore St., where the essence of traditional Mexican cuisine comes alive. This no-frills eatery features a long counter beside a large grill, creating an authentic taqueria vibe. The menu boasts classic tacos and other beloved Mexican dishes, complemented by refreshing house-made aguas frescas.
I’m relatively new to Baltimore, and am so grateful that I live up the street from this place. I’m still exploring and finding my fav places but this was an instant hit. I get the same thing every time: a mushroom quesadilla and an order of rice & beans. And then horchata if I’m feeling like I want to consume dairy. I love walking here and picking up my food, saving on delivery fees. Dinner is $8-15 depending on what you get. The food is always hot and I’ve never had any complaints. The person who works the phone/cashier is always so nice. I call and start walking because the food is always ready to be picked up in 10-15 minutes. The only thing that would make it better is if avocado came with the quesadilla, but I’ve also never asked!

Legit! Wife and I visited after she found it on a Twitter top tacos in Baltimore and this was one on the list. We just moved back after living in Texas for three years and have been hurting for tacos. This place delivered. The carne enchilada (spicy) was my favorite. The carne asada tasted great and the pollo asado was cool. Fries were not impressive -I was expecting them to be seasoned, ketchup helped. Guacamole was hittin!!! So fresh.

These are excellent authentic Mexican tacos. Reasonable prices and they make it fast. I’ve been coming here for five years now and they’re my first choice if I want real tacos. The spicy pork is the best. And the green sauce get extra.

I ordered there for the first time today. The woman on the phone was very nice and pleasant. I ordered guacamole and chips and 3 chicken tacos. It was about $18 I believe. Everything was delicious! And they were wonderful size portions. I have some left over for lunch tomorrow. The chips are thick which made scooping the guac very manageable and they did not break. The tacos were nicely seasoned. Came with a few slices of cucumbers and radishes. The cucumbers were very fresh but I don't like radish. Will definitely come here again!

The Ruxton Steakhouse offers a delightful happy hour experience with fully staffed bars ensuring quick service for drinks and food orders. The menu features delectable options like steak salad, charbroiled oysters, frito mixto, and a mouthwatering steak burger at great prices. The butter cake is highly recommended to top off the dining experience. One can also savor the 22oz Dry Aged Cowboy steak cooked to perfection, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise.
Absolutely phenomenal experience at The Ruxton in Baltimore, MD! From start to finish, every bite was pure delight. The fried oysters were simply the best I’ve ever tasted—perfectly crispy on the outside and tender, flavorful on the inside. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the 90-day dry-aged cowboy steak, which was cooked to perfection and delivered unmatched flavor—hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. To cap off an already incredible meal, we indulged in every dessert offered on the menu, each one earning a perfect 10/10. The presentation, flavors, and attention to detail were impeccable. Exceptional food combined with excellent service made our evening at The Ruxton unforgettable. Highly recommend!

The Ruxton was a great experience for us. The staff was phenomenal, attentive, and personable. All of the food was well prepared and well executed. The appetizers were a great start. The steaks were spot on. I don't care to eat mac and cheese, but their mac and cheese was outstanding. I would order Mac and cheese every time, even if you just take it home for leftovers. We tried every dessert. You just can't go wrong with any dessert.

If you're looking for a sophisticated dining experience near the harbor in downtown Baltimore, try The Ruxton Strakhouse; you won't be disappointed. Why? The prix fixe lunch and dinner menus offer a variety of excellent choices. Our delightful server, Nicki, paid attention to details and provided information about the menu and The Ruxton Steakhouse, which plans to expand in the Philly and D.C. areas. Chef’s kids for the wedge, Caesar salads, and the salmon and dessert choices we selected. The parking garage attached to The Ruxton utilizes the premium parking app, which is easy to use and does not require a kiosk to pay.

Went here to celebrate a birthday, this is the perfect place to be fake bougie. The restaurant is nice but too loud between the music and other guests talking. The tables are very small!! I ordered shrimp & crab risotto, mac n cheese, & roasted broccoli. The risotto was good, however the mac n cheese was okay & it got cold extremely fast. The broccoli was cooked with bacon which just threw the taste off. My bf ordered the 14 oz NY strip and bacon mac n cheese. The steak was good, the mac n cheese tasted like straight bacon. The server Jada was okay, she only asked us once how was everything. The manager had to signal her to go check on her tables smh. The runners did a great job making sure the dirty dishes were cleared from the table & our drink glasses never got empty. My bf was given a complimentary birthday dessert, it was good but the cake was dry! During dessert the runner did pour water on my hand and our table and didn't acknowledge it nor apologized. This isn't a place I would come back to as I've had better food & service elsewhere.

I’ve never been to an upscale restaurant before let alone a place known for its steak. I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday at this place. This place delivered!!! Excellent service! Great atmosphere! Superb food!! Thanks Jordan for taking care of us! I will definitely have to return the next time I visit the area.

My husband and I had an amazing dinner at The Ruxton! Our server, Demetrius, was extremely knowledgeable, made great recommendations, and gave us excellent service!! The sliders were cooked perfectly and full of flavor, the Lemon Prawns were delicious, our Cowboy steak was tender and went perfectly with a side of creamy horseradish, the mushrooms were seasoned just right, and the brownie, although quite rich, was a perfect ending to a fabulous meal. We look forward to coming back, and we will definitely recommend The Ruxton to our family, friends and acquaintances!

This location looks amazing but doesn’t taste like it. I was not amazed. Our server was great but the food wasn’t. I ordered a $200 6oz ribeye steak and didn’t even get any juice tender fat on my steak. The Mac & Cheese was was terrible as well. The bread for the table was the one you get at Costco just go there. Finally to end my anniversary with my wife they brought us a celebration cake that tasted really dry and hard
Gabe B — Google review
The staff were very kind and the ambiance was really nice. The bread was divine! We had an appetizer the tater tots with caviar; it’s an acquired taste. My best friend she loved it. I had the 8oz red cap. It was very tender and juicy but it was 8oz for $79 I wish I had another 8 to add to that lol. The sides were á la carte, the creamy spinach had breadcrumbs and was really good. The mash potatoes reminded me of thanksgiving but were a lil too smooth if that makes sense. And since it was my birthday I was treated to some salted caramel ice cream it was really good. Jaquan attended us and was very knowledgeable and did his job well

Amazing authentic food! Ordered 80 tacos, and they had them ready within 1 hour. 25 people enjoyed the tacos, and no one disliked them. The place was clean and packed for a Saturday lunch. I will be back soon. Thank you

The Good: The staff was pleasant and we were seated quickly. The establishment was clean and comfortable. I had the vegetarian tacos, and I will say they are an acquired, which means they are not necessary bad, it is just not a taste I am used to. My wife had the chicken tacos, which she thought were decent. My son had the cheese quesadilla and fries, and they were both good. The Bad: The food could have been a little better I thought. Judgment: Overall, great. Decent food and nice atmosphere. I do recommend giving this place a try.

The ladies that work here are super friendly and fast. The outside doesn't look like much but as they say looks can be deceiving. Absolutely delicious! The food here is authentic, flavorful, and prepared with such care. Every dish tastes fresh and full of traditional Hispanic flavors — truly 5-star quality. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the amazing portions and quality you get. If you’re looking for real Hispanic food that feels homemade yet exquisite, this is the spot. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS. The meat is so tender it legit melts in your mouth. They have homemade horchata and hibiscus tea drink. The chips are homemade. The flavor profile of all the food I tried was immaculate. The owner cooks the food himself with the help of some co-workers. Got to chat with him for a bit and he is very dedicated to his restaurant from the quality of the food to the service to the atmosphere. He's really friendly and easy to talk to. If you like street tacos, you’d probably like this spot. Stopped by late (11pm) after a very long work day. Cute Mexican restaurant with 2 parts (a dining room and a bar area that also has tables seating) with separate entrances. Friendly, casual atmosphere. Ordered 2 steak tacos (only $5 each) abs a side of black beans (approx $5) with a side of pico de gallo. Bill came to approximately $18. They will also include a green sauce and an orange sauce (very spicy🌶️). I love spicy food but I found the green sauce to be far more flavorful. So I put both on my tacos. The tacos are made with corn tortillas. I personally prefer flour because the corn seem to be less durable and fall apart more easily. However, everything was good and tasted fresh! I actually was fairly full and satisfied just from 1 taco with the black beans and pico. So saved the other for later. I would recommend if you like Mexican street tacos. I did not try anything else on the menu. But definitely an authentic Mexican restaurant. Great for late night fresh, filling, good eats. They’re open late (until midnight Monday-Wednesday and 1 AM Thursday-Saturday). Closed on Sunday.

This is the best taco spot in Baltimore if You are really looking for authentic, delicious, good quality and fresh food. It brought me back to Mexico! The staff Was super friendly and they all work together to make Your experience there the best. The chef is incredibly talented and it is always bringing new ideas and things to the table, so be prepared to have a very positive experience with very good food. Small and practical menu that lets you know everything is prepared from scratch daily. Tortillas are super good and al pastor is the king of the place. They are soon going to be opening outside sitting and it is on a very nice area and clean location. I also loved that the salsas weren't overwhelmingly spicy and everything was seasoned perfect. Definitely recommend and we will be coming back to try everything on the menu!

By far one the best Mexicans places in the city. Chef Valentino is always there making sure food and service goes flowless. Food is delicious. Beets and Goat’s cheese salad, all the tacos need to be ordered. Can’t tell you enough about the Shortribs and Truffle Mash potatoes. Nice selection of drinks from N/As to beer and wine. Street parking pay to park and around the corner free street parking. Clean bathrooms are a plus. Make sure you go here hungry.
Del G — Google review
I was introduced to this restaurant by a Hispanic friend, and it has become my favorite spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. From the appetizer to the main course, everything is fresh and flavorful. I have brought friends here, and they always respond with great appreciation and positive feedback. The owner is often present, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Each dish is thoughtfully presented and tastes wonderful. It is certainly worth a visit when in Baltimore. Another important thing is that is open till late. Very important to me 😃
Fulvio D — Google review
The service is friendly fast and accurate. The place is clean with good lightning and very spacious. The crowd is casual and quiet. The carnitas tacos are flavorless, don't order them. The corn on the cob is very good (the corn was not sweet but it was fresh) but it's 1 ear for 8.00 and his not evenly coated with the cheese mixture.
Marlena C — Google review
Food is authentic and you can taste the flavors of each ingredient as opposed of “cooked oil” flavor. Tortillas are made in a way that they preserve the flavor of corn. I had the mole enchiladas which were delicious. Size portions of dishes is perfect to satisfy your taste buds and hunger without overeating. I highly recommend this place for a rich Mexican dish and a low key atmosphere.

The customer service was amazing over the phone and with delivery driver on top of all that the food was amazing. Taste really good and fresh, and wasn’t too greasy like most carry out spots. I will be ordering again. The only thing that I did not like was the fact of not having any napkins in my bag other than that top-tier 👍

Horrible customer service. I ordered crispy chicken sandwhich (which by the way is just a frozen chicken tender) and they added American cheese and a slop of toppings on it, and say if you don't specify they just 'add it' I called for refund and the guy who answered the phone just argued with me. Crap food and crap service.
Caroline H — Google review
I've read the reviews, and there are some negative ones, but my experience has been different. I got a burger and fries, and some cheese steak sandwiches. The fries were really good, much better than what I expected. They had all of the crispy nooks and crannies and were perfectly cooked. The burger was good, but not gourmet. The portion is very generous for the price. They use frozen patties, so it is not as tender as fresh beef, but overall, it was good. I got onions on mine, and they grilled the onions (which I was not expecting), and they gave a very generous portion. I went in the middle of the afternoon and picked it up myself so I could make sure everything was in the bag. The staff was pleasant and double-checked my order before they bagged it. I have been there twice now, and the experience has been consistent. Reasonable priced quick food, and it tasted great. The only con was the laughably small piece of cheese on the burger. Other than that, no complaints.

The wings, subs and burgers are pretty good. But the sides are awful. I ordered Mac and cheese and it's just noodles with that nasty cheese whiz. No real cheese at all. It's very watery and thin.

TERRIBLE service DO NOT GO HERE. The entire staff is incompetent from the two front desk workers to the short haired man in the back cooking. Went to pick up an order (I am a dasher). I was told that the order was not ready and to wait 5 minutes. I waited 5 minutes. Then I was told the order was still not ready. Then I was told the order had apparently been picked up by another dasher who did not confirm the order. I called the person who ordered and received no response. Then the staff told me they were preparing a new same order for the same customer and to wait 10 minutes for it. I waited 10 minutes. At this point I was there 30 minutes. I was told that the order was still being made. then 5 minutes later I went to the kitchen to ask what the hold up was and greeted rudely and asked if I called doordash about the non confirmed order. It was at that time that I realized that they had not even STARTED the new order. Which they confirmed when I asked them multiple times if the order had even been started. "We need to have you call doordash to get paid for a new order" none of which ANY of them, who stood in front of me and LIED to my face. Said 30 minutes earlier. DO NOT GO HERE. INCOMPETENT LIERS. I was not able to complete my dash. Side note I went here once as a customer and the service then was also terrible

The last two times I’ve ordered from here they will not honor the prices on the menu on the wall. The entire attraction to this place are the prices but after you order your food they have an entire other price list they do not share so every order has an extra cost to it where I feel ripped off. That doesn’t feel good. I refuse to go back. There are better tacos by Patterson park who won’t sca.

Chachi's offers a limited but fresh menu with quick service and generous portion sizes. Customers particularly enjoyed the fries and the rotisserie chicken, which was described as juicy and tender. The sweet potatoes were glazed to perfection, and the sauces like garlic mayo and ranch were highly recommended. The atmosphere is vibrant, especially in the shared courtyard with Fadensonnen. Some unique items on the menu include turmeric-lemon chicken soup, known for its tangy flavor.

Food was delicious, fresh, inexpensive, AND gratuity was included in the price. We got a delicious spicy chicken sandwich, perfect French fries with tiger sauce, and delicious beets and yogurt. The tomato sandwich was ok. Both Chachi’s and the nextdoor bar Fadensonnen share a vision; you can tell whoever created these places really fleshed out their idea with a lot of care.

My friend and I stopped here after a night of drinking. We loved the food here. The rotisserie chicken was so juicy and tender. The sweet potatoes and french fries were perfect. The sweet potatoes had a nice glaze and oven baked to the right temperature. Definitely ask for their garlic mayo and ranch sauces. Food here is reasonably priced and great place to go if you love quality chicken. There was so much food we had to take it home. Great value for what you pay.

The food, although from a limited menu, was fresh and made quickly. I LOVED the fries and the portion sizes were definitely comparable to the price. I went on a Thursday and had the pulled chicken sandwich (fine) and fries. My friend got the soup and the potatoes—there were so many. I should have got ketchup. They seem to have a limited number of sauces. Overall I give it a 4.0! Decent service and a really cool vibe in the courtyard shared with Fadensonnen which we went over to for a drink and trivia.

Delicious chicken, fun menu with lots of thoughtful veggie concepts. Indoor dining area was very warm, otherwise super fun and nice connection to patio/bar if the weather was nicer.
Gabriel R — Google review
Food was ok, and they are open for limited hours. The area outside is really nice for sitting though.

I am leaving one star because, as much as I love this restaurant and the folks who work there, I cannot stand the policy of forced gratuity after the fact. You go in, you see a price on the menu, you order, and then WITHOUT NOTICE OR CHOICE you must pay 18% gratuity. My issue is not with tipping counter staff, my issue is with the owners who decide "I'm not going to pay my employees and instead make them tipped staff, but I'm still going to charge $10 for a side of potatoes." It is inconsiderate to the customer for the cost of their meal to increase a surprise 18%. This was nearly 10 dollars more than the food I ordered. Why not just pay your workers fairly and incorporate that cost directly into the cost of the food???? TLDR: Anyways, the owners don't pay there workers apparently but love price gouging their customers. The food is great but morally, would not recommend.

If you're on the lookout for a vibrant culinary experience, make sure to track down "Mexican On The Run," a food truck that burst onto the local scene last summer. With roots in San Luis Potosi, chef and co-owner Jimmy Longoria brings authentic Mexican flavors right to your plate. Their menu features an enticing selection of tacos filled with six different meats, all beautifully garnished with fresh radishes, cucumbers, lime, onion, and cilantro.
Stopped in for the first time today, and caught the Best food coma Ever. I had a taco mix, and my boyfriend and our best friend had burritos. It was our besties first time having birria, and he's now Hooked. I have to get the nachos the next time with the birria meat. The queso is nice and cheesy with just the right amount of heat. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and to know that they feed the Ravens was a plus with the Boyfriend. Overall outstanding place to eat with WORTH IT prices.

Best taco you will have in Baltimore. Nothing else compares. Seriously amazing and I will say that this is also the most authentic 🌮 taco that I've ever had. Definitely will be back here to suppress my terrible taco cravings. 🌮

Y’all need to update your time of operations because I pulled up and y’all are not open but it clearly says you’re open on Google. Not a good look and I drove 30min. Aslo the second time I had their tacos they were not as good as the first time. I wont be back.

Jimmy and company absolutely dominate the taco game in Maryland. These guys and gals do it better than anyone and with a smile. True Mexican Street food brought to Baltimore amd served up like no other. I'm a taco freak so i always feel right at home with whatever offerings they have. Don't sleep on these guys, they are amazing. They also now have a second location at the Dutch Farmers Market.

Nestled in the heart of Highlandtown, Carnitas Rocio has transformed a historic rowhouse into a charming taqueria since its opening in February. With its striking black and red exterior adorned with decorative flames, this cozy spot invites you to indulge in authentic Mexican flavors. As you approach, an enticing display of chicharrones catches your eye, hinting at the deliciousness within. The aroma of grilled meats wafts through the air as tacos are prepared on the plancha.
A hidden gem. English is not their first language so be prepared to work with the staff. I had a great experience. My food was to go but I was seated and gifted a tasty snack while I waited. Tacos and Papusas with bean and cheese were delicious. Everything is fresh, good portion size, and friendly, welcoming staff. The fresh Pork Rinds in the front glass were the best Pork rind I've ever had. It was worth indulging!

The tamales are heavenly! I got the chicken, jalapeño/cheese, and mole tamales and they were so fresh and delicious.

Well you have to know about this place, first I started with the hygiene, I when today 4/10/2025 at 9:30am or something like that and the lady who attended me was eating breakfast at that time and she stops eating and without gloves staring serving my items that I asked for and then after that I asked where is my tortillas because you advertising is a pound of carnitas with tortillas and she refused to have me the tortillas so I have to buy separate the tortillas and to pay is an other long process, just for paying so at the end I’m not recommending at all this place unless you want to be sick from this place is the first and last time that I try this even the carnitas needs a flavor they are bland, I’m a Mexican Chef and I know the flavor so is very very poor this place you are advised is your choice.

Mexican restaurant
Charro Negro Mexican Bite is a well-established taqueria with three locations in Baltimore. The Greektown headquarters offers a full bar, a large menu, pool tables, and flat screens. During the summer, their food truck can be found near Patterson Park. Additionally, they have recently opened a stall at Lexington Market. The owners are originally from Mexico City and have brought their authentic flavors to the city.
I tried the quesabirria tacos today. The tacos were hot and crispy, as they were cooked to order, and stuffed with meat and cheese. The broth, chips, and salsa accompaniments were also delicious! I ordered in person and would expect their just cooked food to be better than delivery as tortillas don’t usually hold up well. Will definitely be back to try more items. Also, they give a 10% discount to University of Maryland people.
Danielle — Google review
I came across this location in Lexington Market. They didn’t have birria so I tried their tamale. I liked the texture of the tamale and it was hot but it wasn’t flavorful. Service was good. I would consider trying another dish if I lived closer to the area.
Amanda — Google review
Do not eat from this disgusting place. I just ordered through GrubHub and they sent me a container full of slop. All of my tacos were disgusting and mesh together and had a funny taste . The beans and rice had no seasoning like they just cooked it and put it in the container with no salt . The taco was so soft that you couldn’t even pick it up they just smashed everything together in the container. I couldn’t even tell that I had three tacos. It just looks like I wouldn’t even feed to my pets . I had better tacos from Taco Bell ! This establishment should be shut down .
