Seafood market
Oyster bar restaurant
Faidley's Seafood, located in Downtown's Lexington Market, is a no-frills seafood stand known for its huge, jumbo-lump crab cakes and raw oysters. The restaurant gained fame for inventing the jumbo lump crab cake in the early 90s, using large chunks of crab meat and a secret sauce that sets it apart from others. This family-owned establishment has been serving award-winning lump crab cakes since 1886 and offers a variety of seafood selections.
Big, delicious crab cakes in a fun, no frills environment - and make sure to get a few deviled eggs! My daughter and I stopped in here on a Friday for lunch in May, 2025. We parked in a nearby garage and walked a block or two to visit the market, but specifically Faidley's after doing a search for "biggest crab cakes in Baltimore." The entire market is great with a ton of options available to complement your crab cakes if needed. The service was quick and it's standing only with high top tables. The crab cakes were a little pricey but worth it for both the taste and the experience.

Faidley’s Seafood is a great place to visit if you love fresh seafood. It’s located inside the Lexington Market in Baltimore. You can buy fresh fish and crabs to take home, or choose from a few ready-to-eat dishes. There is also a small area where you can eat on the spot, which is nice if you want to enjoy your food right away. The crab cakes are especially popular and very tasty. It’s a casual and local spot, perfect for a quick seafood meal or to shop for fresh ingredients.

Best crab cake ever! We also had the clam strips and the coddie. Located in Lexington Market, Faidley’s is a destination worth the trip by itself and there are a lot of other interesting food options inside too. 💯awesome

I only tried the LUMP crab cake and it is full of crab meat! Delicious… but the green salad is weird and soggy… pickled beets are ok. The crab soup is also good!
Summer L — Google review
Simply delicious crab cake, plus enormous!! So flaky and cooked up fresh. I got there just before they closed and generously let me place an order anyway. Standing at a shared counter height table was a great way to have a little company for my meal, too.
Ruth H — Google review
Only took pictures of the oysters because they were massive! (And delish!) The crab cakes, mac, greens, and shrimp salad were superb! (We got slaw and tater salad to go that we haven't tried yet, but look amazing!) Laurie and the rest of the staff were excellent employees, we will def be back!
Lynn F — Google review
I received 4 lovely crab cakes shipped to me as a gift. They came packaged very well, insulated and a large block of ice to keep it cold. It is insanely hot outside, but the crab cakes were ice cold! We pan seared them, finished in the oven. So, so good. Very high quality, large lumps of crab meat, seasoned well, and very little filler. The crab cakes individually were probably 6-7 ounces a piece, they were huge. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone. Very nice gift and great quality!!!

Spanish restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurante Tio Pepe is a long-standing family-owned Spanish-Continental restaurant located in the heart of Mount Vernon. With over fifty years of history, this landmark establishment offers a cozy underground dining experience beneath a distinctive red awning on Franklin Street. Owned by Madrid-born Emiliano Sanz and his nephew Miguel Sanz, the restaurant is known for its authentic Spanish cuisine and warm hospitality.
Always such an excellent evening. Try the secret menu item “Lobster Emiliano”, it is fantastic. Order it though when making your reservation.
Mike B — Google review
One word: mediocre. Service slow, not fine dining, server barely spoke English, didn’t introduce his name. All dishes came out bland, without much attention to detail of presentation. Appetizers: muscles tasty, but served without bread or dipping toast for the green sauce. I tried sautéed mushroom toast, not impressed one boring looking toast came out. Dinner we got lobster Emiliano which was decent, but over lays with sauce, and I got sea bass, after traveling the world in search for the best fish, this preparation and the serving style was 3/10 for me. Seabass was covered by an overwhelming brown salty caper sauce, masking the tender flavor of the fish. Dinner Served with rice and green beans, not much flavor, beans did not taste fresh, (frozen?) overall I was not impressed. Red Sangria was great & the highlight! Although I understand, this place has been in business for many years, my recommendation would be to consider an evolution and advancement of their menu items alongside with a more creative presentation of their dishes.
Alyona M — Google review
This place is legendary. Im now 48 and my mom said she came here while pregnant with me. Food is very tasty, service and smiles excellent! I really enjoyed the garlic shrimp appetizer and stuffed rockfish. I can definitely see why local folks keep coming back. I believe I'd feel a bit more comfortable if the restaurant was in a location unburdened by underground moisture smell and those elements that go along with an older establishment. Overall, very nice experience celebrating my mom's 73rd bday.
Kei P — Google review
We celebrated my son Matthew’s graduation from Peabody Conservatory Masters program with supper at this iconic Baltimore establishment. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent and exceeded my already high expectations. Extra kudos to our primarily Spanish speaking waiter, he was outstanding in every respect. We indulged in sumptuous oysters Rockefeller as well as Tio Pepe’s special version, oysters topped with crab and smothered in champagne sauce. We sampled the puffed potatoes (sort of a three dimensional homemade potato chip that is addictively delicious), and incredibly savory mushroom toast, highly recommended. From rack of lamb to paella for two, our entree’s were cooked to perfection and served with military precision, exactly what one would expect from a first class Spanish Restaurant. Refreshing ice cold red Sangria flowed freely from a seemingly bottomless porcelain pitcher. In an era where glorified sandwich shops and Tapas bars substitute for what once was fine dining, Tio Pepe is a refreshing trip to times gone by. Thank you, thank you for never changing. We will return soon.
Ron R — Google review
Over all I would say that the food was okay, the chicken is slimy but the chocolate roll and salad were immaculate. Service was very good, make sure if you come you know Spanish. The atmosphere was okay a bit dark but it could make due.
Brooke — Google review
My husband took me there for our anniversary last month. The way the hostess greeted us was rude. She was looking at us like we were beneath her. Like we were lost. Her attitude changed when my husband said we have reservations. So that set the tone from the start. It's too dark in there; like a cave. We could barely read the menu. You can tell the menu hasn't changed in decades. My husband liked the food. But he also will eat a shoe. However, I didn't like it. The crabcake was okay. A little bit too salt, but it was huge. I had steak with some kind of sauce. The sauce was cold and the steak had no flavor or seasoning. I had a side of green beans which was delicious. The saffron rice tasted old. Our waiter was excellent and provided great service. I was disappointed because we had high hopes for this restaurant.
Lola Y — Google review
The shrimp in garlic sauce was not the same. They were over cooked. Oysters with crab and champagne sauce was lacking crab and sauce was not so good and they were under cooked. Sangria was great like normal. My steak was over cooked on the edges. The dessert was a disaster. I have been going to Tio Pepe's for 50 years and I will not go back. It makes me sad
Patricia D — Google review
Tio Pepe's restaurant is a long lasting Baltimore tradition. Unfortunately, the front door is not wheelchair accessible since it's down a short flight of stairs. I'm told that there's a way for wheelchair riders to access Tio Pepe's through an alternative entrance. Call in advance to find out how to activate entry by wheelchair if that's needed. The walls are whitewashed rough stone with little arches between the various small and medium rooms. Because of the rough stone walls and the relatively small rooms, the sound level in the various dining areas is pleasantly quiet so it's easy to hear what your dining companions are saying. The service was good, and the variety of menu items was excellent. I had a very good steak, a Spanish cream of onion soup, and a Tio Pepe's salad. The steak came with sauteed string beans and rice. Parking is in a multilevel parking structure across the street. The price of parking is reasonable. Tio Pepe's is a bit on the pricey side. I recommend it.

Persian restaurant
Villagio Cafe is a Persian restaurant in the heart of Baltimore. It offers family-style meals that are Halal, and its location is hidden among the hustle and bustle of the city. The food here is amazing, and it's definitely worth checking out!
Very nice cafe on York rd serving fantastic Persian cuisine. On my most recent visit I started with Hummus and shirazi salad, I followed up with a lamb Koobideh kabob. Everything was beyond satisfying and the service was also great. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Next time I'll definitely get dessert.

Persian We ordered Mast-O-Khyar Excellent Lentil Soup Excellent Lamb Koobideh Kabab Very Good Baklava Excellent Lunch Entree Specials before 3:00pm. Numerous Kababs, Starters etc. Very fine service.

Cozy little restaurant with platters that never disappoint. Their lamb koobideh kebab platters are always a great go-to. Inside of the restaurant is very simple & clean although can get a little cramped once there's a lot of people dining in. Otherwise a great restaurant that always stays consistent with its food & service. Always something new to try as well if you're a regular.
Ivan I — Google review
Food was amazing and it came out quick. However, the service wasn’t the best. No one checked to make sure I was good or if I needed anything… I literally had to try my best to flag someone down.
Tatyana W — Google review
Finally went for dine in after having their food catered to many Persian get togethers. Food, service, and the dine in experience were all great. Sarah, the manager, was very pleasant and welcoming and accommodated us after a short wait for a weekend with no reservation. No wonder it was packed! Menu seems catered to the taste of a Caucasion majority customer base. Service was great! Food was amazing! We truly enjoyed most items on the menu, tahdig with stews being not so impressive; and doogh being incredibly good!!! Kabobs were also good.
Amir M — Google review
The food is great, but do not order the sandwich on a date. Portions are so generous that the thin pita bread has no chance of containing it. I had to unload it on the plate to eat it.
D M — Google review
The food was extremely disappointing. The mushroom soup tasted like it came from a powdered mix—bland and unappetizing. Our server had a noticeably unpleasant attitude, rolling her eyes when I asked just two simple questions. She never checked on us, and we had to call out multiple times just to get water. We weren’t even asked if we wanted drinks. The table next to us ordered chicken and beef barg, and it looked so unappetizing I actually asked what it was. The woman at the table said it was incredibly salty. She didn’t even eat it—just took one bite and sent it back. What made it worse was that the server still charged her for it. I usually tip at least 30%, but in this case, I felt good about leaving just 10%.
N M — Google review
Still going strong. Great service and food. The chicken kubideh skewer is one of a kind, tried shrimp skewer and that was great too. Dolmeh and sauce that come with it is very good as well as Humus. Five star still IMO. Excellent casual dining. You cannot go wrong with the appetizer sampler, kubedeh, egg plant dish and various soups! Must visit place!

Eclectic restaurant

Brunch restaurant
Maggie's Farm is a cozy and cheerful family-owned restaurant located in Lauraville. It prides itself on using locally sourced farm ingredients to create globally inspired comfort food. The restaurant offers a variety of brunch specials, including the popular fried chicken and rosemary waffle made with organic, locally sourced chicken. In addition to its delicious food, Maggie's Farm is also known for its creative bar program, offering signature cocktails like the smoked Sazerac and barrel-aged pecan Old Fashioned.
First time visiting and I absolutely loved this cozy eclectic brunch spot. It's a small space, but worth any type of wait. The flavors are bold and the portions are generous, so don't be discouraged by the price. The drinks also pack a punch! We enjoyed the brunch burger, chipotle chicken sandwich, fried chicken & waffles, and the MF Cinnamon bun - all made fresh in house! We also had a delicious Syrian dessert (I cannot remember the name, but it was similar to a baklava filled with some cool cheese filling, pistachio, and rose). I was stunned by the food. The fried chicken & waffles was the best I have ever eaten. The fatty peppery pork sausage gravy paired with the sweet smokiness of the hickory smoked syrup was magnificent. The staff was friendly and attentive. You can tell how much they enjoy working with one another and for the restaurant. It definitely is a friendly neighborhood spot. I cannot say enough great things about this place! I do recommend a reservation!
Erika S — Google review
Excellent service, intimate atmosphere and delicious food . . . who could ask for anything more? A spontaneous decision to go to lunch turned into an entire afternoon of fun! Besides the staff who were very attentive, we also spent our day seated at the bar engaged in friendly conversations with many other patrons. Everyone was complimenting the generous portions, flavorful food, and specialty cocktails. Each plate that came out looked mouth-watering good and gave us food envy. We will definitely be visiting again to try all of the amazing options!

Best scratch Kitchen . We are so lucky to have this restaurant in our neighborhood. We got our reservations and got seated right away. Colorful decorated . The rib eye were delicious enough to share for 4 people. I love Grits and love Ordering them every time we go down South but Maggie’s Farm are spectacular. Delicious flavor , smooth and enough flavor to complement the Shrimp. The he temperature was perfect and I love the presentation. the Andouille was delicately cut nice size bite Shrimp was perfectly cooked and the spinach melted in your mouth. I’ve ordered a Paloma Spritz which paired the incredibly well with this dish. The Chef came by our table to ask how we liked our food and his wife our server did an amazing job missing our drinks. I can’t wait to go back !
Sunshine K — Google review
Had the shrimp and grits at Maggie’s Farm and it was fantastic—perfectly seasoned, creamy, and full of flavor. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Definitely coming back!
Julius G — Google review
This is a "must stop" for brunch. Fabulous flavors, generous portions, even the drinks were special. They are not afraid to season their foods. We had three different dishes and they were all cooked and presented delectably.
Patrick A — Google review
This hidden gem in the Arcadia Beverly Hills Historic District is a must see. Nondescript on Harford Rd itself, with its entrance on Montebello Terrace, it doesn't look like anything more than a small neighborhood dinner. Passing through the Patio, up the 3-step approach, one enters into a dark but cozy mid-space. Passing an impressive wine rack on the way to the dining area and bar is your 2nd indication this is a special place. The first is the prominently displayed Baltimore Sun's 2022 award for best cocktail. The server team effortlessly integrated their duties to make sure we were never ignored. Having had the lucky fortune to arrive a bit before the brunch crowd, the award winning mixologist, Dana Saeed provided us with tastes and samples to whet our imbibing palate before delivering a superlative Cosmopolitan and Classic Negroni. She also was able to serve up a cold shot of Chartreuse, before creating an imperfect but so incredibly tasting riff on a The Last Word cocktail. I'd never go back to the original recipe, except much like the Chartreuse liquor itself, Dana's contains secret house made additions that far overcame the lack of 1 of the original ingredients. For appetizers, we had the dumplings where the sauce made even the watercress delectable. Our party had a Montecristo, an eggs and grits with bacon, and a seared duck with veggie potato hash that puts all other home fries to shame. Proudly featuring Zekes coffee from just up the street, they served us an incredible chocolate topped cheesecake with a sweet foam, drizzled with dark chocolate. This little out of the way treasure is our new goto for celebrations, after work drinks and really good food. Because of the special drinks we ordered it was a bit pricey, but so very worth it. YMMV.
Bradley S — Google review
Hidden gem tucked away on Harford road. Small menu but has options for all. Vegetarian friendly ! Street parking is available.
Robert C — Google review
Okay, hear me out, this place is DELICIOUS. This was our first time here for brunch. We ordered: croque madam, thee steak and eggs, and the bread pudding. If you're in a hurry, here is the summary: it's a little pricey, but the food was FRESH and perfectly cooked and seasoned. More info: The staff was friendly and attentive. The place is small but this building is from the 1920s, so expect cozy seating. The vibe is cozy, intimate, but also casual. The restaurant is owned by a young couple and is very much family-owned. The staff clearly loves each other and their customers. I even witnessed the owner doing some basic sign language for some regulars who are hearing impaired. Since everything is fresh, they make to order and can customize. I recommend getting the homemade biscuit instead of the English muffin because it's made in house. The croque madam is excellent. It's a nice balance between a sweet brioche bread and salty ham. The bechamel gave a nice creamy taste in between the layers of thick ham. The steak and eggs was delicious. I recommend medium rare because the end pieces are more likely to medium with the center slices cooked perfectly. The chimichurri wasn't too intense and didn't have an overpowering raw garlic taste, it was delicious. If you get the homemade biscuit, get the jam and butter with it. The jam is something special. They were out of cinnamon rolls by the time we got there, but their rolls look amazing. Instead, we got the bread pudding which was made with their cinnamon rolls and had a peanut butter ice cream and glaze on top. I love peanut butter and it was like dying and going to heaven. This is a great spot and brunch was first come first serve. I heard that reservations are good for dinner though because it is a small establishment. They have regular updates to their menus and new specials all the time from the looks of it. I'm not sure if they have a handicap entrance. There were steps going up the door that I saw. They don't have a parking lot but there's parallel parking outside and plenty of spaces at the Safeway next door.

Mediterranean restaurant
Byblos Lebanese Cuisine is a snug cafe located in Federal Hill, offering a cozy and tasteful interior adorned with art reflecting Lebanese culture. The restaurant, owned by a couple who prepares all dishes from scratch, serves classic Lebanese fare such as shawarma sandwiches and kebab plates alongside coffee. While not strictly vegetarian, the menu includes vegan-friendly options like spinach pies and zaatar brushed pastries served with creamy dips like baba ghanoush or hummus.
This is a wonderful gem of a place. The food is exceptional and reasonably priced. It's BYOB. Can't say enough about the owners also. So warm and friendly. If in Baltimore and you like Mediterranean food, don't pass by Byblos. In my top ten places to go! I hope you enjoy!

Very nice people the owners are welcoming. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and they had live music. Great food and fresh!! If you are in the area and looking for something different DEFINITELY stop by. They have lots of options for Vegans and Vegetarians too. I am not even sure what type of sandwich it is that we had but when I tell you it was one of the best sandwiches I ate! The wrap was like ... somewhere in between a crepe and tortilla and it was crispy and just perfect!!

I have been to Byblos twice now and the food has been delicious! My favorite is the chicken shawarma platter. The hummus is soooo good. It’s BYOB (bring your own bottle). My boyfriend and I bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with our dinner. The owner is very nice and attentive. I have no complaints and would highly recommend!

Very nice and artistic little place to have Mediterranean cuisine. Tried Lamb Tawook per recommended, meat is fresh, tender and well seasoned, had yogurt as well. Definitely a must try if you craving lamb or Mediterranean style food.

The best Lebanese I've ever had, certainly the best lamb I've ever had in my life. Everything was so fresh and so flavorful, we were completely transported. Can't wait to come back to try more!

When I hear advice to eat more Mediterranean diet this is what I imagine. Cute cozy dining space, the ambiance is conducive for quiet/creative introspection with a variety of local artwork or a relaxing meal with the family. Everything is prepared fresh, portions are generous and satisfying but delicious food prepared well leaves us energized, not sluggish. Kounafa and toasted nut Baklava is the perfect dessert. Try with some fresh brewed tea leaves. Service is impeccable, Ryan took very good care of us throughout. A must try in Federal Hill!!

Amazing. They even have a vegan section on the menu. Awesome food and awesome Lebanese coffee. Come here every time I am in the area. 😊

They have like authentic Lebanese cuisine. Everything we ordered was tasty. We got Falafel combo, Chicken n lamb tawook, Fattoush and Baklawa in desert. The yogurt drink is also nice if you like sour drinks. The staff/owner is a very friendly and generous gentleman. I think they should increase the portion though.

Eclectic restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Federal Hill neighborhood, The Local Fry is a delightful eatery that perfectly embodies the area's hip vibe. This BYOB spot specializes in an exciting fusion of New American and Korean-inspired dishes, with their standout offering being creatively topped French fries. Indulge in mouthwatering options like kimchi pork belly fries or Korean short ribs, both bursting with rich flavors and diverse textures.
My experiences at Local Fry have always been outstanding. The fast-paced service and friendly staff keep me coming back. Their food is consistently delicious, and my orders are always perfect. Local Fry is sure to continue thriving. Thank you!

I will most definitely be coming back here! Food is delicious. I got the crispy chicken banh mi and the honey lemon pepper boneless wings. Both delicious. Only gripe is that you can’t add sauces to the banh mi’s🥲. Also, the prices aren’t crazy but a year ago they were way better. All and all it’s a great place to satisfy your tastebuds! Shoutout to the young brown guy at the front! He’s got fantastic customer service! Give him a raise!
Nia T — Google review
My order was taken immediately with professionalism and a smile. My food was prepared quickly. I was not satisfied with my parmesan fries, as they had very little parmesan on them. My fish was good and cooked thoroughly as I requested. Patrons can order in advance, via the kiosk, or at the register. My catfish and fries were $12 with a $1 upcharge for the parmesan cheese.

Perfect place to pick up a meal to eat while watching a sports game. Any of the specialty fries are delicious (bring back the Kimchi fries!!). Also a big fan of their tofu bites and wings, but can’t go wrong getting anything from here. Good prices for a good meal.

Nice & Chill Place to get a quick bite. I tried the fried chicken and fries earlier. It was good but a bit too salty for my taste. This time I tried the Vietnamese (pork) Banh Mi and it was really good! I like the vibe, friendly workers and good food! You gotta give it a try :-)
PM4MEDIA — Google review
Overall really good food, but lately they’ve been skimping on the seasoning. If I order extra seasoning, I expect fries that have more seasoning than this. Especially since there’s an added charge.
Hailey G — Google review
Delicious! We got a pulled pork banh mi and the loaded taco fries. The pickled veggies for the banh mi were crisp and flavorful, and the fries had the delicious TLF sauce on top. Service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be coming back!

Cafe
Cafe Fili is a bright and inviting Mediterranean cafe located in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore. The cafe offers a variety of Mediterranean fare, pastries, and cocktails in a spacious setting with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Customers can enjoy dishes like the hummus sampler with classic, red pepper, and pesto hummus or the popular Chicken Shwarma bowl. The cafe also features creative latte designs and seasonal specials like the fall latte called Lenore.
Loved this place. One of the highlights of our trip to Baltimore. The beef short rib Panini was exquisite. Amazing coffee. Delicious salads. Need more Halal breakfast spots such as these.

Picked up take out from this cafe of - lentil soup / pita crisp and chicken wraps that came with a side salad. Really the enjoyed the food, the ambiance is lovely and spacious and the staff very friendly!

Excellent. Top notch food and service. It’s well priced and can serve as either fast food or sit down. Their breakfast options are so tasty.
Jakob P — Google review
Came here to grab a bite with my ummi. The parking wasn’t horrible, we found a spot within 5 minutes almost directly infront of the cafe. The food was a 7/10, I’m not sure if I’m ignorant to mediterranean food but it all tasted similar. I’d say they average $17 for a plate. One of the more restaurant like cafes I’ve been to.
Rahma R — Google review
Totally endorse Cafe Fili's Tandoor Chicken Shawarma! And teh whole thing they have going on there. When you eat at Cafe Fili, you just feel like you're doing something right--so many tasty, healthy choices! Now, there's a "cafe" in the name, so it has cafeteria-style seating, so don't expect a garçon, folded towel draping his (90-degree angle) arm. Do expect grateful taste buds and a guilt-free aftertaste!

I stopped by for a quick coffee break, but ended up trying a few things. Panini sandwich, mocha , and cappuccino were all very delicious. Coffee especially is really good quality, and is reasonably priced compared to most cafes in the area. Staff and the manager were really friendly and helpful, and the indoor/outdoor seating both have great vibes. Highly recommend!
Ertan T — Google review
Great spot for Mediterranean/Maghreb cuisine. Really nice outdoor seating spot. Will definitely be back. Some of the dishes take a little bit so plan accordingly. Their bowls are pretty fast and great either way.
Alexander B — Google review
Five stars definitely. The food is perfectly prepared. We got the tomato soup and a chicken pomodoro panini. The soup was excellent. Homemade. Thick. Rich. The sandwhich was perfectly toasted. It had the perfect balance of flavors. It was creamy and moist without being soggy. The fatoush was pretty good, although I've never seen celery in fatoush. The pita chips on top brought it all together. They have both indoor and outdoor dining.

Koshary Corner is a vibrant eatery that offers a delightful taste of Egyptian cuisine right in the heart of Baltimore. During my visit, I indulged in their rich Turkish coffee, which boasts an unfiltered strength reminiscent of sweetened espresso. The highlight was undoubtedly the signature Koshary bowl—a harmonious blend of pasta, rice, lentils, crispy onions, and beans that creates an explosion of flavors and textures with every bite.
Such a great place for Vegan Middle Eastern Food! I’ve never seen a place serving all Vegan food from that region! Great food, great service, friendly employees, and plastic-free utensils! Love how they care about animals, plant and costumers! Highly recommend!😍🤤
Mahsa A — Google review
We visited Koshary Corner inside R. House, a vibrant food hall with a variety of vendors. I ordered the Egyptian Breakfast Feast ($16.85), which came with two whole falafels (cut in half), pita bread, a side salad, french fries, and eight different sauces. The falafel was definitely the highlight—crispy, well-seasoned, and especially tasty with the garlic sauce and tabouli. The tabouli was fresh and flavorful, easily the best of the sauces. The garlic sauce had an unusual appearance, while the hummus lacked the expected creaminess. Other components were less impressive. The pita bread was dry and a bit stale. The french fries were fine flavor-wise, but they were supposed to be roasted potatoes (see attached website photo). I was confused why french fries would be on a “breakfast” dish, but now it made sense. The side salad had a flavor that didn’t sit well with me personally, though that could be subjective. The variety of 8 sauces added a fun element, even if most were average. Food was ready in about 10 minutes, ordered via kiosk, and you get a text when it’s done. There wasn’t much interaction with the staff, as everything is handled pretty efficiently through the kiosk system. I’ve included photos of the menu, which also shows weekly deals and a kids menu—a nice touch for families or budget-friendly visits. While I might not order this specific platter again, the falafel and tabouli were strong enough to make me want to try another dish. Koshary Corner is conveniently located inside R. House, which offers plenty of seating and a free cold water station—a small but appreciated detail.

So I am from the PNW and often have Falafels which are typically soggy, old, and unseasoned. Coming here was an immediate 5 star review. I got this entire plate for under $15, great price. Amazing spread of seasoning sauce, and variety. The atmosphere is friendly and the workers are even friendlier. I highly recommend.
Jordan C — Google review
The food looks good and some aspects of it are good but overall it's not that good. The service is terrible. I waited 20 minutes at an empty register just trying to order. Then I wait 45 minutes to get the food and they're not busy, like it was kind of dead around them with not many people ordering and no line to order. The seating is good, it's the food court, but the bathrooms are terrible.
S K — Google review
I tried the koshari and shawarma and would rate them 5/10. The shawarma didn’t quite meet my expectations – it felt more like meat pieces with diced onion, tomato, and a little white sauce, and the pita bread was slightly dry. The koshari was average, and the oil taste was a bit strong. Personally, I wouldn’t order these dishes again, but I believe other menu items might be better.
Abeer — Google review
It has been over a year since I was last in Egypt. Today Koshary Corner transported me back, to a small table in the shade by the side of the road with motorcycles buzzing past. Thank you for that. If you appreciate the texture of your food, then you must try koshary and you must try it here. The unfolding flavors of this dish is only outdone by the variety of textures your palet will encounter as you make your way through pasta and rice and lentil and crispy onions and bean. Wow. I first had this dish in Egypt and having it here at Koshary Corner did not disappoint me. The place is small, tucked in the corner of “R House” and the service is extremely good and helpful. I used the self-serve kiosk to see the current menu. The order was made quickly and I was on my way to my table to examine my prize. The spicy seasoning sause is liquid gold. I don’t like my koshary too wet. This was almost too much, but not over the line. As to the hot sauce. This was not as hot as in Cairo but it was delicious and added exactly what it was supposed to for this dish. The crispy onions are another keystone of this dish. I watched them making them - I could eat them by the pound! It reminded me of a excellent meal many thousands of miles from Baltimore. I highly recommended this restaurant. Last thing, I bought some Turkish coffee. Never had that before. Excellent! Thanks for a great lunch.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The menu offered a diverse selection of carefully crafted dishes, each with a focus on quality ingredients and balanced flavors. Whether you’re a fan of traditional favorites or more adventurous cuisine, there’s something for every palate. Definitely will be back here every time I need some great healthy food in Baltimore

I attended the August 2025 Dance & Dine hosted by Iman, the owner of Koshary Corner, and the experience was absolutely delightful! We explored the history and flow of Egyptian Belly Dance and even put together a full routine—such bliss! After dancing, we wound down with delicious Egyptian street food and light refreshments. I had the Beef Shawarma Koshary Bowl with garlic and spicy red pepper dressing. Each bite packed a flavorful punch. I would definitely attend this event again. Thank you, Iman, for organizing such a beautiful and joyful experience!

NiHao is a cozy Chinese restaurant in Baltimore, known for its traditional Chinese dishes and excellent service. The restaurant is owned by the Chang family, who have a long-standing reputation for their dedication to providing top-notch dining experiences. The menu features classic Chinese favorites such as Peking duck, dim sum items, fried rice dishes, and noodles.
Heck yeah. I had gotten delivery here a few times in the past but never actually it the in person dining. It was pretty great. And yeah the ma po is still probably the best ma po I’ve had. The cucumber salad roll was probably the most surprisingly delicious thing we had. Price point was good food was delicious. Plenty of veggie options. Worth your time. Worth a drive if it isn’t your neighborhood.

This place is awesome! The food is fresh and hot and they bring it to you when it's ready. They are a Coke (in a can and yesterdaythe can was cold which is my favorite!!) place and also have a bar. Every dish we have had has been delicious! Love the small plate/dim sum/tapas selections as well as the other specialties. The chef is Peter Chang who is a James Beard awarded chef and it is easy to see why. I just cannot say enough good things about his food. Can't wait to go back again!
Julie V — Google review
My husband and I had a little brunch date at NiHao in Baltimore after hearing numerous recommendations, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We came for the all-you-can-eat dim sum and ended up ordering nine dishes—every single one was fantastic! My personal favorite was the vegan cucumber salad, while my husband’s favorite was the pork belly. The spicy dishes had a nice, but tolerable, kick and packed with flavor. We both thought the Mongolian beef was just the tiniest bit too salty, but overall, we had no complaints. The food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again! Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious and fun brunch spot.
Ashlina R — Google review
NiHao’s new all-you-can-eat dim sum & tapas brunch is hands down one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had in Baltimore. For $32, you get access to a beautifully curated menu filled with elevated dim sum and creative small plates. The vibe is casual-chic, and the service was warm and attentive. I almost couldn’t stop ordering. Har gao (crystal shrimp dumplings) are one of my all-time favorite dim sum dishes, and NiHao’s version did not disappoint—delicate, flavorful, and perfectly steamed. But the real surprise? The hot chili oil ma po tofu. I almost never order tofu when there’s meat on the menu, but this one was packed with depth, spice, and that addictive umami flavor. I can’t stop thinking about it! Add a pink mimosa or house beer for $6 and you’ve got a new weekend ritual. Reservations highly recommended. I’m already planning my next visit.
Hope B — Google review
My third visit... and it does not disappoint! We had the Peking duck, the dumplings, the spicy eggplant and the spicy chicken. It was all delicious but the standout dish was definitely the spicy eggplant!

I absolutely love and yearn for two types of food: Pakistani Food and Szechuan style food… I’ve been a fan of Peter Chang’s restaurants for many years, since first trying his location in Short Pump over 10 years ago. I’ve tried the other NiHao in Crystal City and really liked it…. Also tried his Peter Chang location here in Baltimore and enjoyed the food as well, so I really have been wanting to try this particular NiHao for a while and finally did today. Going in on a Saturday, I got there about 10 mins before they opened and waited… I was the only one outside when I first got there, but about 15 mins after they opened, they had a steady stream of customers walking in. I sat at the bar and was taken care of quite nicely by Jennifer. She provided great info on how some dishes were prepared, as well as offering good, friendly service. All the food I ordered came out quickly and was very fresh and tasty. I loved everything, from the cucumbers to the bamboo fish – it was all excellent! Highly recommend stopping in, especially for brunch on the weekends. But make a reservation, as they are quite popular!

This is a quaint little place with the most Amazing food I have tried since I have been in Baltimore. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly. One of my favorite restaurants that I have tried. I have been out many time in the last 2 weeks.
Mark S — Google review
Tried their vegetarian spring rolls — crispy and filled with a flavorful veggie mix. Best enjoyed piping hot! The real highlight was the egg fried rice and mapo tofu combo — absolutely next level. The egg fried rice had a smoky wok hei, with small bits of egg and scallions that added so much flavor. The mapo tofu was outstanding — spicy from the chilli oil and delivering that signature numbing kick from Sichuan peppercorns. Definitely a spot I’ll revisit just for the mains — they’re that good.

Wow! We found this place by mistake. Kismet knew what she was doing! This place was so warm and comforting. They had a Ramadan menu. The place was decorated with colors and plants. Warm vibes like someone invited you into their home. The staff were amazing. We had some amazing food that took me back to my childhood. It is a beautiful place that's perfect to eat and hang out. Thank you Lisa and Alexis for making this a great time! If you haven't found this gem in Baltimore yet then I beg you to go!

Everything was so good! It was fresh and tasty, cooked to perfection! It was so good that i ordered every dessert 😋. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the young waiter didn’t seem excited. However, everyone else made up for it. Great food, great place, i will definitely come again and bring others again!!!

This was my second time here. I think I preferred the first time. I got the kebab but was surprised to find only one kebab stick present for the price paid. My friends had the Chicken and fries. They weren’t too excited about it either. The service was good however. But I’m not too sure I’ll be back.

I stopped for lunch by myself. I was seated at the community table although there were other small tables available. Service was good but not great. Perhaps not a spot to grab a quick lunch. I ordered their weekly special dip which was what I needed for a hot day and some falafel to go with it.

Yemeni restaurant
Yemen & Gulf Restaurant, located in Fells Point, Baltimore, is a hidden gem serving unforgettable Yemeni food. While primarily set up for carryout orders, the restaurant also offers dining tables. The menu features popular dishes like Fahsa, a Yemeni stew with lamb chunks prepared in a flavorful broth. Customers rave about the Veggies over Rice and the Filafel Wrap, praising the fresh and delicious flavors.
We visited Yemeni & Gulf Restaurant during the busy ICNA weekend on a Saturday and late at night, so we expected some hustle—and that’s exactly what we got. A lot of items were out of stock (understandably, given the crowd), but the food we did manage to order more than made up for it. We tried the lamb haneeth, lamb fahsah, hummus, Yemeni soup, chicken curry, and chicken wings. The lamb dishes were the clear winners—tender, flavorful, and full of that slow-cooked depth you hope for in Yemeni cuisine. The chicken wings were on the smaller side, but still tasty. The Yemeni soup was comforting and had a nice depth of flavor. The restaurant itself isn’t fancy or upscale—it’s simple and straightforward—but the food speaks for itself. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and despite the crowd, the wait time was surprisingly short. We also enjoyed trying some of the Palestinian drinks they had available. If you’re looking for authentic flavors in a no-frills setting and don’t mind some menu items being out of stock during peak times, this spot is absolutely worth checking out.
Mubeen K — Google review
Was in the area and stopped by at this place. We ordered Lamb haneeth, chicken wings, fries, and chicken sandwich. Lamb haneeth and wings were really good. However, the chicken sandwich was not that great. The sandwich bread was burnt and there was no flavor in the chicken. But everything else was delicious. The casher was friendly. I will definitely come back for Haneeth. Lastly, they charge 4% fees if you use a credit card or a debit card. So it will be better if you take cash with you.
Taimoor A — Google review
This was a nice surprise in Baltimore! The meat was very tender, and the food seemed fresh! I loved the green spicy sauce we were given. The naan was huge! I would definitely go back to try other menu items!
Miriam M — Google review
We ordered a takeaway and were pleasantly surprised. The pita bread was soft and fresh, perfect for scooping up the flavorful sides. The bhindi curry and salta had a nice balance—mildly spiced with a touch of sweetness and a rich tomato base. The hummus was the highlight—incredibly creamy with a lovely olive oil aroma. They also included a spicy green paste to add on top, which gave a nice kick without overpowering the dish.
Sukesh S — Google review
Amazing authentic middle eastern food! Serving sizes are plentiful and each dish is made to perfection. My boyfriend and I got hummus, yoghurt, rice, fries, and 2 chicken sandwiches. The chicken sandwich is so big we split one, and will have leftovers for a while after this. Delicious food and we will be returning! Update: Years later and this restaurant is still a staple to my friends and I! We visited during Ramadan and the in-person dining experience couldn’t have been better. Truly authentic, delicious Arabic cuisine. The employees are so kind and personable. They make it an amazing experience each time whether we dine in or take it to go. This is the ONLY place I get Arabic food from!
Brianna T — Google review
I ordered the lamb haneeth, the meat was very tender and well cooked. And the rice was also really good. My girlfriend got a veggie lamb curry but that wasn't as good. The food good but I wouldn't say it was the best. But I would like to try other stuff on the menu as well.
Siddharth A — Google review
Fantastic restaurant and the food is out of this world. I especially loved the lamb haneeth. The servers and employees are also very nice
Measu B — Google review
The food here was AMAZING and we got so much. We didn’t pick up that it’s a family style restaurant, so we really could have split 2 entrees or 1 entrees and an appetizer for our table of 4. The leftovers kept really well and I got to eat them a few more times. Will be back soon! This isn’t a fancy restaurant, so if you’re expecting a fine dining atmosphere, this isn’t that kind of place. Get take out. For a casual meal with friends or quick lunch, I super recommend this place
