Historic Walking Areas
Perched atop Federal Hill in Baltimore, Federal Hill Park offers breathtaking views of the Inner Harbor and downtown skyline. This historic park is a popular spot for locals and tourists to relax and take in the city's iconic landmarks. Visitors can choose from two entry points, one with stairs and another without, making it accessible to all. The park features a play area and an old cannon, adding to its charm.
This park is one of the most beautiful part of Baltimore, a city which is very beautiful with an Innerharbor right in the middle. It's a bit of a climb to the top hill to reach the park. Views from this location is amazing. you can watch the whole city in one shot. Photographers will love this location as well. Children have a play ground at the top and families will be seen always. A very relaxing place. Kids should be careful on the slopes.

The park here is very fun, relaxing. I come here often with my dog, and sometimes bring my nephew. He likes running around at the place, and its just a very relaxing environement to come and unwind at! Its worth checking out.

Beautiful spot with amazing views of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. A great place to relax, take photos, or enjoy a peaceful walk. One of the best scenic overlooks in the city!
Toni K — Google review
Great place to relax, walk and see the city Nice park and well maintained road Very steep on the grass so it hurts to sit for a long time. It is a good place to see the city and july 4th fireworks. I would recommend right before the sunset for the view

Beautiful park within the chaos of Downtown. Pet friendly. Good air. Park feels like it's actually on the hill. The view is fantastic, I've attached photos from the top of the park. The only downside is the washroom which wasn't available there. Recommended!

Nice park overlooking the harbor downtown Baltimore. Lots of people and dogs and we also saw a Quinceañera photo shoot going on.

Canton Waterfront Park is a stunning oasis nestled along the Baltimore Harbor, offering an 8-acre retreat for those looking to unwind amidst nature. This picturesque park not only boasts breathtaking views of Fort McHenry and the Patapsco River but also serves as a vibrant community hub. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls or jogs while taking in the sight of sailboats dancing on the water and experiencing lively events like WTMD's First Thursday concerts.
9/11/2024 I happen to end up here after eating breakfast in the area and it was so relaxing and peaceful. The weather was perfect and so was the scenery, the only issue I had was none of the bathrooms was open even though the workers said it was recently fixed and someone else had to come open them. There's plenty of parking and a boat ramp it's also a great place to do some jogging or just walking.

It cost just $3 to drive in. Went there to represent ONE MORE ONE LESS MENTORING INC & Zenith mental health and autism services at a fishing clinic with LABF ( LUCKY AND BLESSED FISHING) We had a fantastic day with special need families and other sponsors. It's a great place to ca.pout, cookout, fish, commune and just enjoy nature as you fish!!!
Kelle P — Google review
It's a beautiful place to picnic, with wide open spaces and tree cover. You can pick up the free Harbor Connector to get to Locust Point, or the "pay" water taxi. First Thursdays concerts take place here in the summer. There is also a boat ramp if u want to put your boat in and spend a day on the water.
Dana W — Google review
I didn't walk too far from where the water taxis park, but it was nice to visit the waterfront on a bright sunny day. Some individuals were "discreetly" enjoying libations midday, but most of what I observed was families, children, and couples connecting, exploring, playing, walking, and bike-rolling. I will be sure to see more on my next visit to Canton Waterfront.
Ericka M — Google review
Canton Waterfront Park is one of my favorite spots in Baltimore! I usually come here for WTMD’s First Thursday concerts, and it’s always such a great experience. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, the views of the water are beautiful, and the live music makes it even better. It’s the perfect place to spend an evening with friends, grab some food from the vendors, and enjoy the energy of the crowd. Highly recommend checking it out, especially during the First Thursday events!
Alexis M — Google review
So much better than the waterfront..tourists area. Pasadena is so nice relaxing n quite calm. Picnic in grass or run in the park. Great area great experience. Went sailing and took the water taxi across river a free boat ride.
Ashia — Google review
If not for the people who didn't take all of their belongings with them when they left, and the ice cream truck man who gives people whatever type of nuts he chooses for their sundae, it would have been a perfect day on the water. Oh! Restrooms could use better lighting and the mirrors need to be replaced because you can't see in them. Probably a coat of fresh paint and having someone clean them in the beginning of the day Saturday and Sunday and more trash cans. Is glad to see for the most part people are using them.
Reese — Google review
We picked a weather perfect day to stroll along the water in Canton. Enjoyed drinks and apps at Pussers.

Wyman Park Dell is a 16-acre city retreat located in front of The Baltimore Museum of Art. It's the largest green space in the Charles Village neighborhood and offers walking paths, wide lawns, and a playground for kids. While there are no formal sports facilities, visitors often engage in activities like frisbee, kickball, or football. The park hosts seasonal events such as free outdoor movie series and the Charles Village Festival.
A lovely park. I visited to see the Turnstile show and it was amazing. Beyond anything I expected.
Seth M — Google review
in the middle of the city but still feels very calming and relaxing. it could be because we came during a heat wave but it was very quiet and chill (except for the groundskeepers cutting grass). has a decent amount of spots with shade and direct sunlight so you have options, there’s also a few benches! i only took a star off because the path going down the actual park could use some cleaning/trash removal
Shamira J — Google review
Came for a house party in the park. It was fun, much better dancing on grass because its easy on the knees. A nice green pasture
Mia S — Google review
This was my first time at Wyman Park Dell. I attended the 2nd Annual Doin' it in The Park House Heads Reunion. This was a fun event. The music, vendors and attendees were great. Wasn't sure what to expect in Baltimore but it was safe and fun. Easily found parking. The hills into and out of the dell were tough with all the stuff we brought.
Harland A — Google review
Perhaps don't go in at night, but overall a very nice quiet park in the middle of the city
Ayon I — Google review
Nice small park area. Dog owners have taken it over, at least in the afternoon and early eve. I love dogs, but they are dogs and this culture of dog entitlement is annoying. Its a big social gathering for owners and their dogs, but it is not a dog park and dogs should be on a leash. They are not all as well behaved as thier owners like to think.

Druid Hill Park, established in 1860, is a historic city park located in the northwest of Baltimore. It offers a variety of amenities such as trails, sports fields, a pool, and gardens. The park is known for its cleanliness and historical structures that reflect the cultural past of the area. Visitors can enjoy activities like jogging, running, and riding within its spacious grounds.
This is a beautiful place to go walking, biking running and just playing around. Our family loves it! It’s also an excellent place for photo taking. There is a playground nearby. It is very scenic.

When explored the conservatory and botanical gardens. Absolutely stunning. Amazing architecture. Well designed and maintained greenhouses. $5 suggested donation. Amazing photograph opportunities.
Mindy G — Google review
I love the improvements that Druid Hill has made to this Reservoir. It is alot cleaner and safer. I am looking forward to the finish product...there still seems to be room for improvements. Overall, it is worth visiting for a bike ride, walk, run, tennis and basketball. I would go again for the other amenities and a breezy walk.
Kandice M — Google review
Spring it the most beautiful time to walk jog around the park or Druid Hill Lake Drive. The upgrades are available, pool, tennis, and a new walk path. The police have a station there and it is clean. The water is beautiful to watch. Enjoy the videos and pictures.
Veronica E — Google review
Druid Hill Park is a massive and historic green space that feels like it has a lot of potential, but a visit here can be a mixed bag. On one hand, you have the gorgeous Rawlings Conservatory and the Maryland Zoo, both of which are major highlights. The park's sheer size is impressive, with plenty of room for walking, jogging, and exploring. The historic architecture and rolling hills are beautiful and offer a much-needed escape from the urban environment. However, the park's immense size also seems to be its biggest challenge. Some areas feel well-maintained and cared for, while others show signs of neglect. The paths and amenities can feel a bit dated and could use some serious updates. It’s not always the easiest to navigate, and some parts can feel a little unkempt. The large Druid Lake area is a nice feature, but the surrounding roads can be busy and make it feel less like a peaceful oasis. Overall, it's a park with a lot to offer and a rich history, but it's not without its flaws. It’s a great place to visit for the specific attractions like the zoo or conservatory, but as a whole, it’s an average park experience that could be so much more with better maintenance and a more cohesive feel.
Nastasia B — Google review
If you need a place to play soccer every Sunday morning just come to Druid Hill Park at 10am.. Look for the field not too far from the Maryland soon entrance and you can see the field from the Mine Road.

Beautiful views, can’t wait til they complete the park. Great walking paths and different options for activities
Rockelle W — Google review
Druid Hill Park is lovely and a must visit. It has something for everyone. Plenty of picnic areas, a pool and pool house, parking, zoo, playgrounds, baseball field, tennis, basketball, beautiful scenery, gardens, and museums, They host a few community event here. There is a shopping center with a grocery, plenty of eateries, subway, bus station in walking distance. It is a great place for family and lovers alike. They are doing something construction on a beach type area but it hasn't interfered with the fun or beauty of the park. In fact I can't wait till it's completed; I can have more fun.

6June2023 Nice spot along inner harbor for a relaxing view and for kids and families to have fun. I’ve been to inner harbor several times over the years since residing in Maryland and haven’t stopped here until now on one of my many day trips here. There are restrooms to the side of the building. Don’t go in unattended. The police do patrol the area and it is safe.

Cylburn Arboretum is a serene park with over 20 gardens, ancient trees, a nature museum, and a mansion from the Civil War era. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful trees and flowers for free and participate in various programs or classes for a small suggested donation. The arboretum spans 207 acres of scenic fall grounds with ornamental gardens, colorful tree collections, historic buildings, and wooded trails.
This is a wonderful place where kids can run around and learn at the same time. The staff and volunteers are incredibly kind, and they host amazing events. It’s a peaceful environment, and the recent renovations have made the space even more interactive for all ages. I visited today and discovered so many new things I hadn’t known before. It’s definitely a spot I’ll keep on my list whenever we’re looking for something engaging to do. It’s also a great place for spiritual reflection. Highly recommended!

I visited before the Gardens were planted and still had a lovely experience. Volunteers and employees were hard at work planting when I arrived. Definitely visit the Nature Center, staff there were great! They have Luna Moths and Grey Tree Frogs on display and the center is very well maintained. I only wish I could have visited on the weekend so I could tour the mansion. I will absolutely be back to see the gardens!
Amber L — Google review
Beautiful arboretum in historical estate location is Baltimore’s largest public garden. Plenty of parking on mid-summer weekday and open nature center with friendly employees. The only miss was inability to tour Cylburn Mansion. There is a choice of paved paths or hiking trails and well-thought out arboretum layout to please an eye. Worthwhile detour from I-95 when passing through Baltimore, free admission was an added bonus.
Mike Z — Google review
We went for one of the open house tours in early April. The staff in the mansion and the nature education center were wonderful. They were very knowledgeable about the history of the grounds and the flora and fauna one can find there. Of note, we were immediately greeted by adorable northern mockingbirds at the entrance of the mansion and only continued to see birds and flowers from there. The trails were easy to walk in regular shoes or sandals. There are wheelchair ramps, automatic doors on the education center, and braille labels on the premises. The upper floors of the mansion were not open to the public for tours (on the day we were there).

Definitely not as large as I'd expected. Outside garden waa beautiful, full off bumble bees just minding their business. I wish we'd had a selfie stick/tripod, cause it was a beautiful backdrop for photos.

I spent the day at Cylburn Arboretum for a work retreat, and what a beautiful surprise it turned out to be. The gardens are peaceful and full of quiet charm, every path feels like a small escape into nature. It’s the kind of place that reminds you to slow down, breathe, and notice the beauty around you. Truly a hidden gem in the city.

Beautiful green space and Mansion. I hadn't been in years and went for their Halloween program. The spooky trail was fun as was the night hike. It was a great family outing with food trucks and kid's activities. I would go again if they had an adult only night program.
Ann S — Google review
I didn't get to all the places I wanted to go inside of the arboretum. But what I did see was stunning! I'm obsessed with dahlias and there was a dahlia garden. Absolutely gorgeous. This place is very very well maintained. Lots of walking spaces very very nice place. When I left there was a wedding party gathering for a photo shoot.

Leakin Park, also known as Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park, is a sprawling 1,216-acre woodland oasis in Baltimore, Maryland. It offers a serene escape from the city with its mature trees and secluded areas. Once infamous for being a site where murderers dumped bodies, it has since transformed into a safer space and now attracts drone enthusiasts. The park features streams, trails, and diverse plant and animal life that draw nature enthusiasts.
Great place to visit! Leakin Park is the largest woodland park in an east coast city. It also has a nature center, trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, community garden, football and baseball fields, and biking paths. It's a great place to wander around.

Leakin Park is quaint, quite quiet, park in Baltimore and home to many less traveled trails. It is scenic and features places for numerous outdoor activities.

Don't know what all the fearmongering hubbub is all about. I bike through here all the time - even on the hiking trails - & it's as quiet as a cemetery.🤷🏼‍♂️
FlyingSavannahs — Google review
I flew my drone in this park. One of the few public parks where drone flights are allowed. Amazing and breath taking shots. It also has tennis lawns for those who play. I loved the scenery and my camera caught sights of deer moving in packs. It wasn’t difficult to find parking and it wasn’t too busy either. If you are into drone photography, check out this spot.

If you’re craving some Natural, raw outdoors hiking, this is the place to go! I actually got lost, all my fault, but it was still magically memorable, so much history in these woods.
Schaz — Google review
First appearance is everything. This park needs to be maintained much better than it is. As you enter the parking area all you see is overgrowth, tall weeds and bushes everywhere and trash throughout the bushes. Once you pass that and go further it opens up to a nice grassy area with benches and trees perfect for that picnic and relaxation. There are picnic tables as well. Another downside is the building that you see in the ad is very dilapidated and rotting, also surrounded bushes bushes and and trees. If this place can be maintained it will be one of the best picnic spots I've been to.
Carol B — Google review
Wonderful place. I went later so it was dark but safe vibes and good vibes. Would love to head here with a larger group during the day and have a good time. Overall really great area.

My grandsons and I love leakin park. We hike the trails and forage the plants and mushrooms. We call it the outdoor classroom and playground all wrapped in one. My daughter loves it as well. Dypski Park, located in southeast Baltimore, is a popular playground that has become a top choice for families since its renovation last year. The park features multiple play areas including a traditional structure designed for younger kids with slides and climbing options. Surrounded by a fence, it offers a safe environment for children to enjoy various attractions. It is also described as very baby-friendly, making it an ideal spot for families with young children to visit and have fun.
My kids and I have to walk half an hour to get to Dypski Park, so the fact that we still do it all the time is a testament to just how GREAT this playground is. Since it was remodeled last year, it has become one of the best options in southeast Baltimore. There are several play areas. There is a more traditional play structure that is geared to slightly younger kids, with a pair of slides, and multiple ways to climb up. The real centerpiece of the playground, though, is a climbing structure that is kind of hard to explain. Ropes tied to a central spire connect out to several different outer nodes, each one with different play options (slides, a scavenger hunt). There are an endless number of ways to play on it. Finally, there’s a geometric climbing structure on top of the Astro-turf hill, which doubles as a fun slide on its own. My toddler loves to swing, and there are both regular swings and baby swings. Fortunately they are also in the best-shaded part of the park, so it’s comfortable to be there for awhile. The other play parts of the park can be pretty sun-baked, so skin protection is a must.

Great place for kids to play! There is plenty of attractions for the kids while being entirely surrounded by a fence.

Great spot post renovations. Not terribly big and can get a little crowded but I really appreciate the variety of things for all ages. Great rope climbing options, swings, etc. As an added bonus I really liked how soft/padded the non-concrete surfaces were underneath the playground.

I wish there was shade, especially over the swings which get very hot in the midday. The fence is now more secure and the water feature is lovely, though not for playing in except for puddle splashing.

They just redid it, and its amazing! can be a little light on shade, but the new equipment is fun for my 6 yr old and has a lot of options for a good amount of play- always have to drag her out of here!

One of the best dog runs we have ever been to! Was traveling from NYC to ATL and grateful to have come across this clean and fun park. Was busy both times and such a great layout. Wish all runs were designed this way! 🐺

Zeus and I enjoy visiting this park BUT there are never trash bags for clean up. Yes we carry our own but the park has EMPTY poop bag holders. Recently, one of the dog park doors has been broken and can't be latched.

Great dog park! It is clean, well kept and they even have a water spout for dogs to stay hydrated and people bring dipping pools for the fogs in the summer. It is a great place to also stroll with your dog after their off leash romp and a great ice cream shop eith walk up window to treat you and your pup across the street.
Duchess S — Google review
Great park had area for small and large dog. Water for the dogs
Amanda R — Google review
The dog owners don't follow the POSTED RULES. I have a white rednose pitbull who is resource protective i.e. food, toys, treats, etc. I ALWAYS take my dog around the fence so he can smell and greet the other dogs before being let loose in the park and scope out to see if any toys are left on the ground and if there are I kindly ask other pet owners to pick them up and put them away and they usually oblige my requests. However the past 3 times I went there I had to repeatedly remind a few owners not to throw balls or anything that makes one dog feel like he is getting individual attention. This woman told me that those rules printed literally on every entrance were not accurate and are more like "guidelines." So I feel no remorse that her dog got hurt. The rules are in place to make sure both pets and their owners are safe and have a good time. If you follow the rules, it is an amazing place with lovely and loving doggies with amazing owners who are sharing, and caring. Please follow the rules that were put in place by people that know better than you how dogs think and act. Follow me at @leroyk._ on IG

This dog park is a blessing in this city! My pup loves being able to run around and play with other dogs. 99% of dog owners pick up after their dogs & are friendly. -1 star because: The water fountains break often, so it’s smart to bring some water for your pup just in case. Beware of careless dog owners who bring treats & dog toys into the park. Most dogs are socialized but I have ran into an aggressive dog who put its mouth around my dogs head - the owner was holding it by the color right near the entrance & I didn’t realize that was because the dog was potentially a threat to the other pups.

The Canton Dog Park is a small area located in southeast Baltimore that is free to visit for all dogs. It has separate sections for smaller breeds and several toys and water fountains for the dogs to play with. However, after it rains, the park can become quite wet and muddy, as well as dusty when dry.
Great dog park with small dog and large dog areas. Well maintained, water spouts, spacious and well shaded in the Summer/ Fall.

My dog and I love this dog park! It’s located in the great neighborhood of canton. We use to live two blocks up the street and we walked there just about everyday. Even after relocating, I still drove my dog Chino to this park. Both the dogs and people are friendly! I would recommend going whenever it’s not raining to avoid your dog getting really dirty. People always donate grocery bags for waste pickup, in case you run out of doggy bags. Lastly they have two sides that separate big dogs from small, which is greatly appreciated! I also made a video of a casual walk to the park with my dog Chino. We stayed to play for a while since it was a warm and sunny day. I also made a video of our day at the Canton Dog Park. Paw Point is THE BEST dog park! If you are skeptical about joining let this be your sign that it is wonderful! They have swimming access which is wonderful in the heat! And they have so much room to run! It is Ozzie and Trotwood approved!!

I thought it was pleasant. However, my husband and I were taken off guard that you have to apply, get approved and pay $35/yr for a membership! Has a lot to offer, but be prepared to “pay to play”. If you want to come here, submit your approval well before hand, not same day. (Tour the grounds before you spend your money.)
Ashley L — Google review
I love the park. Everyone is so friendly and respectful. I love that the dog park is members only. It ensures the safety of the dogs in there. I don't want aggressive dogs in there. I hear horrible stories about dog parks, not here. If you want to join its $30/yr and a application. It's not hard. For everyone who says they didn't know its right on the paw point website. Not the parks fault you didn't read it before coming. There are some nice trails you can walk your dogs on. I'm a fan! It's pretty big place
Michelle E — Google review
My dog's favorite weekend spot! He loves the company, the swimming and the playing! It's a very clean location. Water and doggie bags included... Just wish everyone would be courteous enough to clean up after their own dog instead of me having to do it for them so I can play Frisbee without having to worry about it landing in a pile. Wish the swim area was a tad bit bigger and a little more sloped like a boat dock instead of the rocks, which my dog finds uncomfortable to walk on and navigate.
Amber V — Google review
This is the best dog park I have been to. It's large, well-maintained, and the surrounding nature scenery is beautiful. You have to sign up to be a member, but it's worth it. It has fenced-in lake access for your dog to swim.
Ben M — Google review
Very disappointed! Members only and need a code to get in! This fact isn’t advertised anywhere except after the half mile walk from your car to the dog park gate. And if you think you’ll just play with your dog outside of the park, leash laws are strictly enforced. Not really a welcoming place for a dog and her ball. This place needs to be advertised as a private dog park because that’s what it is.
P R — Google review

Stadium Place Nursing and Rehab Center boasts a vibrant playground, entirely constructed by community volunteers. The colorful miniature town, made from recycled plastic "lumber," includes various attractions such as a boat, shopping village, theater, jungle gyms, and swings. The staff is described as friendly and caring, providing a homely atmosphere for residents. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities and kind reception from the front desk staff.
I visited a friend at Stadium Place and was pleased with the facility. Staff was courteous and efficient, and the floors were nicely appointed with tasteful furniture. I'm sure my friend will get the best of care here.
Charlotte T — Google review
I really like the area that Stadium Place is located. The staff was very friendly but not attentive to the clients (at least not to my father). But to be fair, this place looked VERY UNDER STAFFED... I didn't care for being locked in the building as if I were in jail (which happened EVERY visit). My husband and/or I would visite daily, so imagine our distress and frustration. We literally had to wait until someone came, either to the floor we were on, or out of the room they were in, somewhere on the floor, just to go home. Not only that, my father was moved from the 3rd or 4th floor, where it was cleaner and not as ran down, to the first floor, where it smelled like an old sewer(it made you wish that your nose had an off and on switch). The old, rusty, murky, ugly, carpet smelled horrible (like it hasn't been cleaned since the place was built). The furniture was old and ran over (like it had never been cleaned from the 1800's). The dressers were missing drawers. The walls were scratched up, looking as if it had old dirty wall paper). A real eye sore. The cleaning crew ( if it was one), were poor or lazy ( I believe the medical staff WAS the cleaning crew, but I can't confirm that because we popped up there at different times day to day). My father had a cup sitting under his bed for at least 5 days straight (no, I didn't move it, I wanted to see how long it took them to clean it). My father lost weight from being in Stadium Place. My father has dementia, but was still able to do the basics for himself (for ex. feed himself, put on his clothes correctly, get up to go to the bathroom...). In Stadium Place, they had my father under so much medication, that he looked high (like a seasoned crackhead) and slept all day. They would bring him food, but he was so medicated that all he would do is sleep and rub his nose. They did not care enough to feed him, and I don't believe they even gave him rehab, because he could barely walk or bend his arms or legs. They allow him to stay, laying helplessly, in that old broken bed, until his insurance reached it's maximum stay days. My husband and I were truly disgusted and would never recommend ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND, to bring their loved ones to Stadium Place.
Donnetta A — Google review
The therapy is very helpful. However, the facility is grossly understaffed and they barely have time for the patients. When patients ask the nurses to help suit their needs they reply “I’m too busy” or “ I have emissions I can’t do that, I will get to you in a minute.” Even when they say they will get to the patient in a minute the call bell will sometimes be on for literally hours or the nurse just won’t come back because they are so busy! Sometimes their won’t even be a nurse on the floor for at least an hour because the also have patients on other floors. I’m not sure where the other nurse goes but sometimes she is the only one there and then she leaves, leaving it to be no professional staff on the floor.
Sailor S — Google review
My daughter still cannot take a shower because her shower doesn't have any handles to turn the water on! She hasnt been able to take a shower since she got there - OVER 2 weeks ago. They offered to move her from a private room to a shared room - instead of just getting the shower fixed. Someone call a plumber please! Last night she was given a pack of tartar sauce on her dinner tray - not sure if that was for her pizza or garden salad? Really?
Suzanne W — Google review
I was asked to give this place a 5 star rating. I can't give that. But today I met a caregiver giver. She was really nice. But I can't say that for others. My Aunt is there. If it was up to me. I move here. I believe if they gave their staff a proper training that the place really could be something. I'm giving a three-star rating only because of the kind nice nurse that I met today
Willis P — Google review
My grandmother is currently here but we are about to take her home. Today there was no staff here so she been in her stool all day with no food. Not a soul in sight but the lady who watches the door this is unacceptable. If I could give less than a star I would
Antonio E — Google review
My boyfriend’s mother is in rehabilitation here. They keep giving her opioids knowing she’s unable to take them due to her past history but they don’t care. Everyday an every few hours she’s offered an opioid. Seems to me they’re trying to keep their patients drugged and highly unaware. As long as they can keep billing your insurance and collecting a check they do not care about the health of those ppl. It’s a hole in the wall. I wouldn’t recommend sending anyone here. If they can’t get it right with someone in rehabilitation just imagine what they’re doing with the elderly. This place needs to be shut down completely.
Tasha A — Google review
If I could give negative 1000 stars I would. I wouldn't recommend this place to an animal. My aunt was there for rehab and got worse instead of better. Eventually passed away, mostly because of their neglect.

Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine is a significant site that played a pivotal role in the War of 1812, inspiring the writing of 'The Star-Spangled Banner,' the U.S. national anthem. Visitors to Baltimore can immerse themselves in its rich history by exploring this iconic fort, along with other historical landmarks like Inner Harbor and Federal Hill Park. Additionally, they can savor freshly caught blue crabs seasoned with Old Bay seasoning for an authentic Baltimore experience.
This historic gem is NOT to be missed. When you arrive, wait for the short movie and be sure to watch. When the window coverings rise, the American flag appears and it is stunning. What a 10/10 presentation! The staff were very kind and helpful. For Patriotism, this is the place to indeed visit!

SO MUCH FUN! I went for a school field trip, and it did not disappoint. We walked the whole thing, and I loved the preservation of old rooms. My favorite was the one execution cell. The place has high educational value, but it's also a good exercise and it's very interesting. I would love to go again with my family. It was so pretty.

Our family of four had a great visit. We purchased tickets for the shrine, kids were free. Visitor Center has interactive exhibits and 20 min video thats worth staying until the end. Decent gift shop, no food or cafe to speak of. The grounds, views, restorations, rangers, history, and setting are all amazing.

Had an awesome experience learning about Fort McHenry and the buildup to the battle that inspired the Star Spangled Banner. Started off in the visitor center and watch the film and look at all the information panels. Going outside gives you amazing views of the bay, and exploring the fort is an awesome experience. Each building has information about the fort and it's history. I would absolutely come back and would recommend others do the same.
Andrew C — Google review
The NPS Rangers' lack of enthusiasm at this site prevents us from giving it a 5th star. You have to pay extra to walk out to the fort and take a self-guided tour. During our visit, the temperature was extremely high at around 98°F, which may explain the absence of reenactments or ranger-led tours; however, the rangers were still present at the site. The fort's rangers were just standing in the shade, maybe due to the heat. They could have been giving some kind of presentation or talk. We did not get a discount due to the heat, but the experience of being at the historical location was well worth the 4 stars.

The park features a marble fountain, swimming pool, playgrounds, sports fields, and trails for hiking and biking. Families can enjoy the little free library, swings, and gazebo while live music adds to the lively atmosphere. The park is well-maintained with walkways, benches, and recycling bins throughout.
A Verdant Oasis in the City's Heart This park is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped inside, I felt transported to a tranquil oasis away from the bustling city. I particularly enjoyed the designated picnic areas, complete with comfortable benches, making it an ideal spot for a family gathering or a romantic afternoon. And let's not forget the breathtaking views! Whether you're admiring the cityscape from a scenic overlook or simply gazing at the clouds drifting by, the park offers a sense of peace and tranquility that is hard to find elsewhere. I wrote this siting on a bench in the park.. Emerald jewels, a verdant gleam, Where city's hum becomes a dream. Sunlight dances, shadows play, Chasing worries far away. Flowers bloom in vibrant hues, Whispering secrets, soft as dews. Children's laughter, pure and bright, Filling air with pure delight. The rustling leaves, a gentle sway, As time itself begins to stray. Peace descends, a tranquil grace, In this enchanting, verdant space. This park is a true treasure, a testament to the power of nature to soothe the soul and uplift the spirit. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a respite from the everyday hustle and bustle. Note:

Very beautiful park. Don't live locally but was in town for a family emergency, and my 7 year old daughter was getting antsy, so we walked down to this park, and it was lovely. The playground was nice and big. We found a bouncy ball provided by the park/city. There was a field with soccer, volleyball, etc. we got to run around on. The amount of 🐿 also fascinated my daughter.

Riverside Park is lovely to have so close by. For the most part, the park is kept very clean. There’s a pavilion, numerous walkways, trash and recycling bins everywhere, plus plenty of benches. There’s also a playground, pool, open field, and body weight exercise equipment. For a smaller park, it’s well-equipped. The trash could be emptied more often and the exercise equipment could use updating/expanding, but otherwise a great place and very convenient!

I will come back and add more actual scenic park photos, details, and updates, as I Discover & Learn this Park (which I am really looking fwd to!🙂) (See ppl Fishing around the area SORRY BUT I WOULD NOT FISH HERE THO.)

Disappointed. First, there are definitely no snow covered monutains here, whoever left that picture. 😂 (Probably thinking of a different park, probably in Alaska, with the same name.) But that's not why... I would've given this park a higher rating, but the whole park and parking lot was shut down for an entire day for some kind of private event, and that was so disappointing. Not just a section...the entire thing!!!

Chinquapin Run Park is a large and popular park with a lot of natural green space that is perfect for families. The stream that runs through the park provides opportunities for sports, a playground, and hiking.
Beautiful Park. I recommend it for walking.
Tracy S — Google review
I’ve been taking my daughter to this park for years but it’s definitely going downhill & needs an upgrade! My daughter fell off a swing in mid air bcuz the chains were worn and the swing just popped out of nowhere, ppl consistently let their dogs off leash, bagged dog feces are thrown in the regular trash & leaves a stench that would knock an elephant to his knees! It’s a playground not a dog park! The rats run back & forth across the grassy areas looking for food, maybe poison control needs to come out to eliminate the problem. A car crashed into the fence around the playground and it took forever for them to fix it! The wood benches need a SERIOUS upgrade as well as the one with the table connected. Maybe take out the benches & add tables bcuz sometimes ppl want to sit and eat but it’s only one table and I would not recommend sitting on the grass bcuz some ppl don’t pick up after the dogs. Maybe enclose the grassy area so the kids can toss the football without injuring a small child. It’s a big tree near the wooded area that fell months ago and it’s still laying there🤦🏽‍♀️

Have been coming to this location for years. Now as an adult I bring my children. The playground has become run down, I is definitely time for a makeover. Some parts like the swings are still doing well.

Was nice for the activity we had there. Was very peaceful but who knows what it's like during other times.
Maine B — Google review
One of our city's underappreciated green spaces, this generally is a nice respite from the hubbub of the streets. At present, however, construction to move sewage pipes from under the stream bed has led to the removal of many trees. Check back in 5 -10 years for new growth.
Lin R — Google review
It's a nice park but they don't have enough trees to provide enough shade from the summer sun. Even by the time the sun goes down, the slides swings and bench still feel warm or to hot to sit on
Sadia B — Google review
The "park" consists of a field that could be used for baseball, a basketball court, a few picnic tables and a lot of wooded are that is not navigable. The playground portion is across the street and, while it has a nice layout, clearly has not been touched by the city since it was built. There's a lot of litter and the equipment is greatly erroded. The tennis court is dismal as well, most likely will not return.
Danielle H — Google review
Usually empty but when not full of people that I wouldn't want my child to be around while they're playing. They currently have most of the park p*** up on a stream restoration project that they are badly mishandling i e the city of Baltimore. Sometimes they hold events at the park but it just seems to be people selling things out of their car on the streets blocking traffic

Mt Vernon Children's Park is a fantastic spot for families with young kids to beat the heat. It features a sandbox, playground, and ample seating with shade. Additionally, it boasts the only public splash pads in the city apart from those at Inner Harbor, making it a convenient option for families looking to cool off during hot days. Plus, parking is relatively easier near this park compared to others in the area.
Service was excellent, as always. It was all right.

Sidewalk on Madison hasn't been touched after any snow storm, extremely hazardous for any pedestrian, horrible regard for public safety

It's nice having a small playground in the neighborhood. However, it's often closed and it's not clean. It could also use a couple of swings for babies who don't walk yet. Definitely can use some improvement.
Irene J — Google review
Sandbox, playground, decent seating and shade I think here and the Inner Harbor are the only public splash pads in the city, and it's a damn sight easier to park near this one. Great place to beat the Heat with young kids

I took the kid that I babysat there on a whim and she had a blast. Demanded we go back the next day and when given the option of leaving 20 minutes early to play with my cat, she chose more park time. And that is high praise from her.

There’s a splash pad which is nice in the city. The park is very worn down and not fully functioning. We still go every now and then just for the splash pad.

Latrobe Park, located in the heart of Baltimore's Locust Point neighborhood, is a beloved recreational area offering a variety of activities for visitors of all ages. The park features baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, as well as walking trails and a playground. Additionally, there is a dog run for furry friends to enjoy. The park also boasts a great turf field with lights, making it an ideal spot for sports enthusiasts to gather and play.
The soccer field is so gorgeous and vibrant ... Best one I've seen in Maryland so far since being redone. The expensive tournament locations we partake in don't have fields like this and this one is free. The whole area is worth visiting.
Arr S — Google review
Great turf field with lights in southern Baltimore. Has benches for teams on one side and a small stands area for fans/family/friends/players on the other. There is a bathroom in the adjacent shelter right there, however it seems to usually be locked when I'm there, even though the fields are permitted (at night so perhaps that's why?). Overall great field and location. Easy to access off of 95. Updating review just to say that the little parking lot next to the turf fields has had recent ongoing issues with cars getting broken into at night. There are train tracks near the field and the train is loud when it crosses, so I think windows get broken while the train horn is blown. Police are aware of the break-ins, but it has happened repeatedly all the same. Just use caution if parking there at night.
Rachel W — Google review
Great park near Francis Scott key park as well for history. Very good bike trails going out to the Federal park and all the way into the city lots of restaurants and things to do. Latrobe Park also has a very good dog park plus under Armour facilities that they donated before field events recommended highly

Great park for everyone and anyone to enjoy. It has been fully renovated / remodeled. Under Armour funded an entire football / soccer field to be built for the public. They even have a huge dog park for your fur friends to enjoy.
Jack M — Google review
Nice looking park in Baltimore. Went there a couple of times to watch soccer games. Field looked nice but the bleachers aren't raised so it feels like you're sitting on field level (I'm not a fan of that). Easy access off I-95 but very limited parking for the park. There's some street parking available as well. No WiFi (yep, first world problems) Dog park, so you're gonna see lots of dogs. All of them on leashes, +1 for the local dog owners. My rating is really 3.5 but Google won't let me do that. Solid place for soccer and kids.

As a nearby resident of Baltimore and an avid lover of parks, I couldn't help but share my love for Latrobe Park, a true gem nestled in the heart of the Locust Point neighborhood. This beautiful park offers an array of recreational activities and community events that cater to visitors of all ages, making it the perfect destination for families and friends to gather and enjoy the outdoors. One of the standout features of Latrobe Park is its multiple playgrounds, designed with children's safety and enjoyment in mind. The variety of play structures ensures that kids of all ages and abilities can have fun, while parents can relax and watch their little ones explore and make new friends. The park's well-maintained tennis and basketball courts provide excellent opportunities for friendly competition and exercise, attracting both casual players and serious athletes. For those who prefer a more laid-back experience, the park offers an extensive network of walking trails that weave through the lush greenery. The serene atmosphere and ample seating areas make Latrobe Park an ideal location for picnics, reading, or simply basking in the sun. The football field, with its artificial turf and modern amenities, is another fantastic feature that contributes to Latrobe Park's appeal. This versatile space hosts local sports teams and is also perfect for pick-up games or tossing a Frisbee around with friends. But Latrobe Park is more than just a collection of recreational facilities; it is a vibrant community hub that brings people together through various events throughout the year. From what I have seen, these events range from outdoor movie nights and live music performances to yoga classes and art workshops. The involvement of local vendors adds a unique touch, providing visitors with a taste of Baltimore's diverse food and artisan scene. The dedicated team of volunteers and park staff work tirelessly to maintain the park's cleanliness and keep it safe for all visitors. Their efforts have transformed Latrobe Park into a welcoming space where people from all walks of life can come together and enjoy the best that Baltimore has to offer. In conclusion, Latrobe Park is a true asset to the Locust Point neighborhood and the city of Baltimore as a whole. Its combination of recreational facilities, community events, and beautiful scenery make it a must-visit destination for residents and tourists alike. If you haven't already, I highly recommend taking the time to explore this wonderful park and experiencing its many charms for yourself.

Gwynns Falls Trail is a great hidden gem for those looking to enjoy nature without leaving Baltimore. The trail winds through a variety of landscapes—from wooded areas along the stream to open park spaces and historical landmarks. It’s ideal for walking, biking, or just taking a break from the city buzz. What really stands out is how much green space you can explore so close to an urban area. Many parts are peaceful and scenic, and the trail connects several parks, which adds variety to the experience. While some sections could use better upkeep and clearer signage, most of the trail is in good shape, and it's clear that efforts have been made to improve it over time. Overall, it's a solid outdoor option for locals and visitors alike. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely worth spending a few hours exploring.

Howard Street Dog Park is a small neighborhood park that is fully enclosed to make it a safe place for dogs to play. It is located in the friendly neighborhood of Mount Vernon Baltimore.
Looooove this My daughter got a rescue puppy over the summer, He's a brindle lab mix We found out about the dog park from a neighbor who invited us to bring our Bruno while he was taking his female pup ( she 2 is a mix breed/ pit bull mix, also a rescue pup) They both enjoyed the dog park. Actually my first time ever experiencing a dog park. There's a space just for small fur babies that's fenced in and separated from the larger fur babies. They even have a 💧 water fountain ⛲️ just for the fur babies ✅️✨️💫💛 Plenty of space for the fur babies to run freely and just be pups! Did i mention the seating for us humans to just sit and meet other fur baby parent. Actually met a few awesome fur baby owners and their fur babies
Ms.IslahF. H — Google review
Good park, the pet owners are nice and respectful. With that said, be aware, there is a lot of 💩 around, and the water fountain in the large dog part (as of 3.12.25) is an operable. Regardless of these two things I think it's a good park for a dog to go meet and play and run around and get their energy out
Kerri L — Google review
A bit messy/polluted, to the extent that I must constantly keep an eye on my dog to make sure that he does not eat any debris or material. We usually can get the park to ourselves during less common times, which is the primary benefit of this smaller and less well taken care of public dog park.
Kellien P — Google review
Came here last year with my dog infrequently but it was super clean and spacious for him. Today I came here and am disgusted. Bird poop everywhere and coating all of the four benches making them unuseable. The trash cans are so overfilled that there is a jenga tower of poop bags on the top. Not to mention a broken water fountain wasting a ton of water and creating a bird poop sewer creek that runs through one of the main gates. Was this park abandoned by the city? It's so bad.
Riley S — Google review
Only one other owner there on a Thursday afternoon which was fine for my 6 month old puppy. He mentioned there's normally more owners there with large dogs. There are two separate parks large dogs or senior dogs but no area for small dogs. covid restrictions say only 5 at a time if I'm remembering that right, the park is big enough for social distancing with many benches. My dog loved it and I thought it was decent besides the area that it's in. A little sketchy. Pretty clean. Poop bags offered. Lots of room for my puppy to have the time of her life.
Rae B — Google review
I love this place because I can bring my dog here everyday off leash she can roam around there's 6 benches in the large dog area then there's a spilt for senior /small dogs oh yeah also there's a fountain for the dogs to drink out of which is very convenient ☺☺☺
C G — Google review
Nice size park. Friendly dogs. Easy parking. It can be a hit or miss when it comes to if people will be there.
Ashley B — Google review
Whoever owns the park--private or city, needs to take care of this park. No one picks up after their dogs and it's full of droppings. The water fountain has run continuously for AT LEAST 2.5 years (how long I've had my dog) and it has wasted so so so much water in a city that claims environmental consciousness. It is not the responsibility of the neighborhood to clean up after each other and occasional visitors. There are no cleaning supplies, no doggie bags, and no way to at least hose down the brick and fake grass for us to be able to even maintain the park's upkeep even if we wanted to. I live one block over that I can not take my dog here anymore, which is sad because he's made the bestest of friends here.

This dog park is a friendly neighborhood spot for dogs to run and play. It is fully fenced off with an astroturf surface, making it a great place for owners to take their furry friends on walks.
One of the best play parks for your dog; plenty of shade and a water fountain (and pool) for hot days, hills with turf and rocks and a tree trunk, along with benches in shady areas.
Rebecca R — Google review
Nice, fenced dog park with lots of things to keep the dogs entertained. If you're used to suburban dog parks, this one has a surprising amount of concrete relative to turf. The manufactured hill in the middle is fun for the dogs, but makes it hard for the humans to keep an eye on the dogs and see what they're eating, if they've pooped, etc. There's access to a water spigot, which is nice. The park has a little drainage area for excess water, but it can get kinda grody, so make sure your dog has their lepto shot.
Lina N — Google review
It appears the dogs are having a blast each time I walk the trail. I mean, I never heard any of them say anything different. I often see the dog guardians playing fetch-the-tennis-ball games. It's never rowdy or noisy.

Probably the cleanest dog park in the city. The only downside is that the hill in the middle is so tall it's hard to monitor your dog on the other side of the park without following them around.

I can only assume it was built by standard builders who didn't know anything about skateboarding. Most of the transition at this park is so harsh. But then again a lot of skaters like that. The best bit is the 2 half bowls with the spine. Some nice mini handrails too. I can't really find anything else nice to say about it. I went here at 9:30am and it still felt sketchy. Like I would just get robbed by someone taking their dog on the morning walk. Go to Rash Field skatepark instead.
Phil3636 — Google review
Park is a bit sketchy. Its usually trashed with debris all over so you have to do clean up work if you want to skate it. Its outside of a school so you'd think it would be a nice park, but its also near a big homeless camp. You'll see some decent foot traffic from some interesting looking people crossing the train tracks nearby.
Nicholas C — Google review
Even though parts of the skating park were covered with leaves, broken glass and rocks, The areas that were clean was cool, def enjoyed myself . No shade All sun! It is located in a back corner behind a school or something , looks sketch but def a good experience. I personally don’t mind the graffiti as it adds flavor to the park. I didn’t see any lights here.

Usually, I don’t leave reviews but that was disappointing and hopefully I might be helping your community with my statement. I was visiting Baltimore and I figured I should check out the local parks. I visited this park and it was not fun at all for skateboarding. I would refurbish that park if I were Baltimore city. That park is a lawsuit waiting to happen if you need a reason to invest in it. Also the cops showed up 3 mins into my sesh and just sat there in their car; can you not do that? skateboarding is legal especially at a skatepark. Heads up it’s a good bmx park. Bring a spare tube because there’s gotta be glass somewhere in there for sure.
Shyane C — Google review
Was very dirty, rocks and sand was everywhere, if you can skate over that stuff than it's okay, park needs major maintenance but their are some good ramps, its definitely for the experienced skater, lots on cement. Burdick Bark Dog Park is a small off-leash play area for dogs in the East Rosemont neighborhood of Baltimore. To get into the park, you must register online and show proof your dog is vaccinated and licensed.
Wow what an awesome dog park! You need to register with the city online to get a code and dog tag (takes 1-2 wks). Then you’ll get a code to one of the areas. My beagle loves the real grass and trees, so much to sniff and explore off leash.
Dana M — Google review
Wonderful place to bring your dogs. There are three separate fenced in areas where the dogs can play. The drawback is that you have to bring your own water, there are no water station’s. Other dog parks (Lake Roland and Patterson Park) have dedicated water stations.

Just press enter and push the handle down, no code needed. It's nice and shady, but I can't imagine actually paying for access to this place with how overgrown the grass is. I'll be checking for ticks later.

Great park! Not many dogs the times I've been, maybe 4? The field can be muddy because it's actual grass, and you may want to bring water because it doesn't have a dog water fountain. It has 3 separate areas for regular dogs, small dogs, old dogs... my dog loves this park!
Abby B — Google review
We haven't had a chance to join the park itself to go inside the dog park pend areas. But we've always had a good time going to the main greenery sections surrounding the official dog Park section. We're so lucky to have such a nice place to go with our dogs for exercise and fresh air. Often we meet the neatest people. I don't think word is out quite yet about what a gem this little Park is or perhaps we've been going at non peak times.. but it's rare that we see more than two or four people the entire time we're at the park. And maybe three dogs. Which is okay but it would be nice if there were more social opportunities for our dogs. I'm so glad that people put the effort they did into building this park and making it so pleasant. That's all do our part and keep it well maintained and respected as good neighbors should do.

Quaint, historic and charming square that takes you back in time. They host free events sponsored by the Mount Vernon Conservancy. Museums around the square offer free admissions.
Asya A — Google review
In the heart of Baltimore, past the harbor's tourist crush and beyond downtown's office towers, Mount Vernon Place unfolds like a European piazza that somehow landed in Maryland. Here, America's first monument to George Washington rises 178 feet above four elegantly designed park squares, where locals stretch out on stone fountain edges on sunny afternoons and readers find quiet moments among magenta roses. On a recent spring morning, the squares hummed with the gentle rhythm of urban leisure. A woman with a colorful tote bag read beneath climbing roses while two older gentlemen had positioned folding chairs beneath century-old trees, engaged in conversation that seemed as unhurried as the clouds passing overhead. Unlike the carefully scheduled tourist sites of the Inner Harbor, Mount Vernon Place invites lingering. "What makes this place special is how it's both a monument and a living room," said a local artist sketching the classical buildings that frame the squares. "People actually use it." The district's stately buildings reveal Baltimore's 19th-century prosperity. When the Washington Monument's cornerstone was laid on July 4, 1815 (predating its more famous Washington D.C. counterpart by 33 years), it stood atop land donated from Revolutionary War hero John Eager Howard's estate. Baltimore's wealthiest families soon constructed elegant townhouses with marble steps and ornate cornices along the perimeter. These grand structures now house cultural institutions like the Walters Art Museum and the Peabody Institute. For visitors willing to tackle 227 stairs, climbing the Washington Monument offers panoramic views for just $6. The reward is a bird's-eye perspective of architect Robert Mills' masterful urban planning – the Greek cross layout of the four squares radiating from the monument's base, a design that feels remarkably contemporary despite its 19th-century origins. Mount Vernon Place doesn't shy from its complex history. Until 2017, a statue of Supreme Court Chief Justice Roger B. Taney, who authored the infamous Dred Scott decision, stood in the north square. Its removal during an overnight operation following the Charlottesville violence represents how public spaces evolve alongside cultural values. Today, only the empty pedestal remains, a silent counterpoint to the district's otherwise intact historical landscape. The neighborhood's seasonal rhythms offer different experiences throughout the year. Summer brings free outdoor concerts and yoga classes organized by the Mount Vernon Place Conservancy. December transforms the area with the annual Monument Lighting, a Baltimore tradition since 1971 that bathes the Washington Column in holiday illumination accompanied by fireworks and a festival atmosphere. Spring's Flower Mart has operated since 1911, famous for its curious "lemon stick" treat – a peppermint stick inserted into a halved lemon. Local wisdom suggests visiting midweek to experience Mount Vernon Place at its most authentic. The Walters Art Museum (free admission) provides a climate-controlled respite on Baltimore's humid days, while the breathtaking George Peabody Library houses one of America's most photogenic book collections. For refreshments, try Dooby's for Korean-inspired fare or Mount Vernon Marketplace for diverse culinary options. As dusk falls and the Washington Monument glows against the darkening sky, visitors and locals alike gather on the squares' benches. In this moment, Mount Vernon Place achieves something remarkable – a public space that simultaneously honors history while remaining vitally alive in the present.

Federal Hill Park Playground is a neighborhood play area that pays homage to the history of Federal Hill. The playground features equipment inspired by landmarks such as the Federalist Ship, Port Federal Hill, and Signal Hill Tower. Additionally, there's a locomotive structure reminiscent of the B&O Railroad. It caters to various age groups with a train for smaller children and a climbing structure for older kids, complete with an elevator-like feature that kids love. The park also offers walking trails and ample parking nearby.
This playground is wonderful. It's set up to accommodate a lot of different ages - there's a little train that's closer to the ground that's good for smaller children, and then a climbing structure that's better for older ones. The climbing structure even has an elevator type thing the kids go crazy for. Both the climbing structure and the train have scavenger hunts for the kids to find objects, which is another added layer of fun. It's a short walk from the pier and the science museum. And for the adult, Federal Hill has some of the best views in the city.
Lina N — Google review
This park is just a short walk from the pier, and if you have kids, they'll love it. It's clean, well-kept, and has equipment for all ages.
Matthew B — Google review
This is one of the best playgrounds around. It has a unique feel, tied to the history of the hill, the city and the adjacent harbor. The equipment takes the shape of a lookout tower, a sailing ship and a steam train. The steam train is meant for the smallest kids, with a short slide in the front. The sailing ship is for bigger kids, with two taller slides including a spiral. There’s multiple ways to climb up, including a rope net. This playground also has swings, which is always important to us because my kid loves them. It is a bonus that the trees provide mid day shade for them, since most playgrounds with swings put them in the open for some reason. Shade is a big advantage of this playground in general - there are many mature trees that overshadow both the equipment and the benches. There are so many little play stations, historical markers and other small details that make this a great place to spend some time. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out.

Renovated in 2003, the park features charming walking paths, cast iron fencing, lush greenery, and delightful shade trees. Despite its small size, it stands out among Baltimore's pocket parks by providing ample shade from nearby homes and mature trees along with benches for relaxation.

This is a pocket park in the heart of residential Canton. But unlike many pocket parks in Baltimore, this is more than just a grassy field where a rowhouse used to be. This park has a comfortable amount of shade from the surrounding homes and some mature trees, as well as a pair of benches to relax in it. It seems like a nice place to bring your dog, so long as you are prepared to clean up after yourself.

This is Beautiful place in the middle of Baltimore, past JHU campus. The area is very open. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. I saw people picnicking, taking photos, sitting on the benches, and just walking around. Will visit again when the tulips are in bloom!

Gorgeous hidden gem of a park/arboretum a little past Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. It is a small, privately owned park but free and open to the public. The park is very clean and well managed. There are no public bathrooms, trash cans, or sidewalks, and the pastoral lands look more beautiful and clean for it. Even when visiting out of tulip season April-May, there were still many gorgeous trees to look at, as well as admiring the historic buildings on site and bordering the park. The place is very ideal for a quick walk or sunny picnic day out. Highly recommend

I absolutely loved these gardens. It's in a beautiful area that's definitely worth a visit. I expected this place to be an actual park with an admissions desk and all that. But, it's actually an open park where anyone can walk, which is a nice benefit! To my surprise, there were not many people walking around here at all -- in fact, it was really empty and quiet. That was another nice benefit! Just the sound of the light breeze, birds, and leaves. Amazing place to relax in!

Lake Roland Park is a 500-acre sanctuary located in Baltimore, featuring the focal point of Lake Roland Dam. The park offers various attractions such as a fenced-in Paw Point dog park, a playground, a nature center, and hiking and biking trails. It also has wetlands, rare plants, and rocky plateaus suitable for exploration. The park is family-friendly and was established in 1945 by the Baltimore City Department of Parks and Recreation.
I love walking and exploring at Lake Roland Park. You can start at the parking lot by the gorgeous dam or at the other end where there is on street parking on falls road. There are a multitude of clearly marked paths to take you on different adventures. Lake Roland itself is beautiful to look out on. Many people bring their dogs and children which is always nice to see. It's a predominantly flat walk unless you choose one of the lesser travel paths. Also note that the proper Park adjacent to the dam is on a fairly steep but walkable Hill from the parking lot and down to the paths along the lake. It's really beautiful. Enjoy!

The Jones Falls Trail offers an enjoyable experience for both cyclists and hikers as it winds through a scenic woodsy landscape alongside the Jones Falls River. This long, paved trail spans across 1200 acres of natural beauty within Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park, making it one of the largest urban woodland areas in the nation. Along the trail, visitors can explore diverse habitats and learn about native species at the Carrie Murray Nature Center.
**STROLLER FRIENDLY** This trail is a little over 3 miles (total to the end and back), well if you go the way in my description. The trail splits into 2 parts. One part which starts at the end of the Woodberry apts (walk toward the roundabout). this part is 0.7 miles to the end (ends at a park)and 0.7 back. It’s completely paved and flat. I posted pics of where to start. The google address doesn’t take you to the exactly to the right area. It takes you to a track and field, don’t go all the way up there. We parked right across the street from the police station then walked down towards the woodberry apts and to the trail. The second part of the trail is across the street, there is small green track marks near the light instructing you to cross. It leads to a ramp which leads to the trail. That part of the trail is uphill but not terrible even with a stroller. It’s about a 1.5 miles total. Scenic with trees on the sides. we went to the top of the trail, not sure if it kept going because it wasn’t clear, then turned back. Overall good section of the trail. Hope my review helps.

It also has a lot of beautiful spots, it circles around a few landmarks, and it’s pretty huge for a city trail. It’s also calm and has plenty of space for bikers and pedestrians to commute without making room for each other. I’d definitely recommend this trail to friends!

My family and I had a great time. My mother used a walker so it is sometimes tough to do outdoor park activities. The nature center was not open when we went. It is currently open very limited hours. We knew there were trails here, but there was no map anywhere that we saw, so we just walked around until we found a trail. It would have been nice to know how long it was, or if it looped before we started. We hiked the wetlands trail. It was a good hike, probably about 1 1/2 miles to the end and back, with lots of hills. It was a pretty clear path, though in a few spots, the thorny brush needs to be cut back. Overall, it was a pretty hike through the woods. I am curious to find additional trails the next time we go. I would like to get there when the nature center is open to see if there is a map. There is a small aviary behind 2 fences. There is a turkey vulture, 2 red tailed hawks, and an owl. It was a little hard to see the birds through the fences. In all, it is a good place to hike. I will return and explore more. It did appear that there was an outhouse in front of the nature center, but there were no indoor facilities since inside was closed.

As a lover of nature centers, I can't recommend this one enough. They have awesome educational events, binoculars and other gear that can be borrowed, and are surrounded by beautiful trails with lots of birds. They have an aviary for rescued birds of prey like hawks, a bald eagle, and a turkey vulture. I wanted to learn more about the turkey vulture as I know they're social and he was alone. I emailed Kirby Pitchford, the Lead Animal Care Naturalist to ask. He responded the same day with a detailed email explaining that the bird doesn't like other turkey vultures, and blew me away with information on the level of care the animals receive. They have an enrichment room, and allow the turkey vulture, who doesn't like to be touched, to choose if he goes to the playroom and even walks himself down the hallway. He was also trained to enter his crate independently for vet appointments to minimize stress. I was grateful to learn that birds are all rescues who couldn't survive on their own and have an amazing quality of life. He also invited me to come to the nature center so he can show me around and teach me more about the animals. This is a beautiful center full of helpful information and caring staff.

Mother's Garden is a charming spot located at one of the entry points to Lake Clifton Park. While it may not be a must-see attraction, it offers a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy reading in the pavilion or setting up a hammock while taking in the beautiful sunset. The park is ideal for picnics and leisurely strolls, although some maintenance of the grounds could enhance its appeal.
Beautiful space with a powerful message. Reach out to Civic Works if you ever want to get involved helping maintain this garden!

Located at one of the entry points to Lake Clifton Park. I biked here on a park-tour-round- robin I did as exercise before some good holiday eating, lol. Nice, however the city need to manicure the grounds a bit more like blow away the dead grass clippings . Overall a good experience very peaceful. If love to shoot a scene from a movie in the future.

I love visiting this park so much. It wasn't as neat but it's beautiful out here! Sunset out here is the best time to visit in the summer. The flowers are usuly gone in the fall or winter. No restrooms around but you can have a picnic out there. Parking is on the street.

It's a nice little area, nothing spectacular, but it's pleasant. It's probably not worth going out of your way to see, but if you're in the area it might be worth stopping by. I set up a hammock in the little pavilion type thing, read a book for awhile, and then got blessed with a gorgeous sunset. Lots of benches around if you're looking for a place to sit and read. No one else came by for the hour or so I was there, but you can expect some constant street noise.

Lovely hilltop park devoted to Baltimore mothers. Includes paths, a pavilion, an arch bridge, and gardens. Nice stonework. Views of the top of downtown and the golf course adjacent to the park.
