Bakery
SugarBakers Cakes is a family-owned bakery that has been creating custom cakes for special occasions since 1996. They offer a wide range of cake flavors, fillings, and icing options to create the perfect cake for any event. In addition to their custom cakes, they also have a first anniversary cake program where couples can receive a fresh six-inch top tier of their wedding cake to celebrate their first anniversary.
We used Sugar Bakers for our wedding cake in September, and it was amazing!!! Our cake tasting was a personable experience. They took their time with us, and we didn't feel rushed. What was great also is that we had many combinations of filling flavors that we could mix with other frosting flavors to make it our own! Sugar Bakers, that is why you are still going strong as a business. You know what it takes for excellent service and fantastic cake! The cake was flawlessly delivered with fresh flowers on it as ordered. Thank you again!!

We loved Sugar Bakers for our wedding cake!! It was designed just how we wanted and tasted amazing!! We can’t wait for our 1 year anniversary cake:)

My DIL ordered a cake for a birthday and although it was pretty on the outside and tasted good, the inside was not so pretty, for the price you pay, I would think you would have even layers and look beautiful on the inside too. Terrible job layering for the professional price.
Lora B — Google review
one word: YUM we used sugar bakers for our wedding cake and boy did they deliver! we chose three different flavors because we couldn’t decide on just one! The guests are still raving about the cake! Their workers are so attentive and really listened to our vision. We cannot recommend them enough! You will NOT be disappointed.
Kelly H — Google review
We had the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake from SugarBakers! They executed our vision beautifully and we had the most wonderful problem of being stuck between delicious flavor choices. The tasting was amazing and very helpful in nailing down our design. Highly recommend!

A huge thank you to Staci and the team at SugarBakers for creating the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake we could have imagined! The cake was an absolute showstopper—elegant, detailed, and exactly what I asked for. Guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous it looked and how incredible it tasted. Every layer was moist, flavorful, and simply unforgettable. Thank you, Staci, for being such a sweet and memorable part of our celebration. We’re already dreaming about enjoying another slice on our anniversary! Ticia & Dennis

Sugar Bakers did an amazing job on my wedding cake! They were very professional and helpful during the whole process. The cake looked exactly just like we wanted it too and tasted delicious!!! All of our wedding guest were raving about the cake! I highly highly recommend Sugar Bakers for any of your bakery needs. I also really recommend their Strawberry Breeze flavor because it was absolutely dreamy! So happy with how everything turned out, thank you so much Sugar Bakers!!!!

I ordered my wedding cake from SugarBakers and I recommend them 100%!! From the tasting to the delivery, thank you so much for your excellent customer service. We worked with Staci during the process. Thank you so much to the entire team! Our cake looked AMAZING and tasted even better. We got compliments on how good the cake was. We did have a lot of cake left over so it was great that we got to take the leftovers home. They will not disappoint, they executed my vision for our wedding cake. Thanks again!

Bakery
Patisserie Poupon is a cozy, French-inspired cafe known for its delectable croissants, macarons, cakes, and sandwiches. Owner and baker Joseph Poupons is renowned for his confections' exquisite taste and artistic presentations. The Fraisier features a marzipan finish adorned with a white-chocolate-dipped strawberry, while the Royale is a dense chocolate-mousse cake topped with chocolate petals cradling whole hazelnuts.
I had to write a 5 star review for the amazing customer service. I pre-ordered a surprise cake for my daughter's birthday who is currently at college in Baltimore, and the front desk of her dorm refused to accept it when she was unavailable in class. The bakery worked with me to arrange for it to be re-delivered later in the day when she was available for the delivery. She said it was delicious!!

Swing by this bakery that’s been highly recommended by many friends who work at the Hopkins. My problem was that I came in the late afternoon, 90 mins before they’re closed. Therefore, they ran out of classic and almond croissants. Fine, I picked Spinach & Ricotta, Apple turnover, and Walnut danish. I did not try any of their desserts as I would like to make sure I like their pastries first before overspending if unworthy. The bakeries look very outdated and needed a makeover. This is a 100% take out bakery. No standing or seating inside. After I got home, tried the spinach & ricotta croissant, which was excellent but could be better. The layers can be improved. The next morning, I tried the walnut danish and apple turnover. They are unusually not sweet compared to the normal pasties sold from other bakeries. This is a GOOD thing but may not be the preferred sweetness level for the majority.

I've been a loyal customer to this pastry shop for a while now, often stopping by on my way to my nearby restaurant. My husband absolutely loves the pastries here, and I've made it a habit to pick some up whenever I can. But last week, I had an experience that left me deeply hurt and angry. The staff member I dealt with that day was nothing short of rude. When I politely requested additional pastries, her response was nothing short of abusive. She screamed, “What are you mad about? Did I tell you I was done?” in front of my child and other customers, completely disregarding the fact that her behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply offensive. When i brought it up, she doubled down on her behavior instead of apologizing and then tried to offer my child some free cookies that I turned down (I am not a beggar and I can pay for anything I want). She basically called me an ANGRY BLACK WOMAN for no reason and tried to make it right with a COOKIE? Even more insulting. This wasn’t an isolated incident. From the moment I walked in, her attitude was brash and dismissive. When I asked if they had more of a specific pastry, she snapped, “What you see here is all we have,” as if I was somehow inconveniencing her with my request. Her behavior was unacceptable, and it made me feel disrespected and degraded. I feel disrespected and degraded, and I will no longer support a business that allows such toxic behavior. This incident has made me realize that I can no longer patronize this establishment. I urge others to be cautious of the treatment they may encounter here. This will be my last visit.

The best croissants in a MD! Love it! The best cakes in a city! Tarts are delicious too, especially with coffee , love this place! Thank you for your business guys!
Nadia I — Google review
They have PROPER pastries. Freshly made, not disgustingly sweet like the grocery store ones. I especially like the pear tart. So delicate and refreshing. Items are a bit pricey, but on par with other pastry places in the DMV area. I will definitely come here regularly to support local bakery shops like this. So hard to find authentic French pastry shops in Baltimore, gotta keep it going.

Pretty tasty almond crossaint. Beautiful dish of pasties and baked goods.
Samantha — Google review
By far the best bakery in Baltimore. We drive 40 minutes to get pastries here. I don't know what the 50s in France was like, but the atmosphere in this place feels like the 50s in France.
Andrew T — Google review
This little bakery sits incognito in the center of Baltimore City. They have all the beautiful pastries, breads, quiches, cookies, cakes, and Illy coffee you need to feel like you're in a boulangerie, but it's a franchise chain. No complaints here. In fact all compliments. The prices are fair to moderate, but worth every cent. Let the pictures speak for themselves.

Seafood market
Oyster bar restaurant
Faidley's Seafood, located in Downtown's Lexington Market, is a no-frills seafood stand known for its huge, jumbo-lump crab cakes and raw oysters. The restaurant gained fame for inventing the jumbo lump crab cake in the early 90s, using large chunks of crab meat and a secret sauce that sets it apart from others. This family-owned establishment has been serving award-winning lump crab cakes since 1886 and offers a variety of seafood selections.
Big, delicious crab cakes in a fun, no frills environment - and make sure to get a few deviled eggs! My daughter and I stopped in here on a Friday for lunch in May, 2025. We parked in a nearby garage and walked a block or two to visit the market, but specifically Faidley's after doing a search for "biggest crab cakes in Baltimore." The entire market is great with a ton of options available to complement your crab cakes if needed. The service was quick and it's standing only with high top tables. The crab cakes were a little pricey but worth it for both the taste and the experience.

Faidley’s Seafood is a great place to visit if you love fresh seafood. It’s located inside the Lexington Market in Baltimore. You can buy fresh fish and crabs to take home, or choose from a few ready-to-eat dishes. There is also a small area where you can eat on the spot, which is nice if you want to enjoy your food right away. The crab cakes are especially popular and very tasty. It’s a casual and local spot, perfect for a quick seafood meal or to shop for fresh ingredients.

Best crab cake ever! We also had the clam strips and the coddie. Located in Lexington Market, Faidley’s is a destination worth the trip by itself and there are a lot of other interesting food options inside too. 💯awesome

I only tried the LUMP crab cake and it is full of crab meat! Delicious… but the green salad is weird and soggy… pickled beets are ok. The crab soup is also good!
Summer L — Google review
Simply delicious crab cake, plus enormous!! So flaky and cooked up fresh. I got there just before they closed and generously let me place an order anyway. Standing at a shared counter height table was a great way to have a little company for my meal, too.
Ruth H — Google review
Only took pictures of the oysters because they were massive! (And delish!) The crab cakes, mac, greens, and shrimp salad were superb! (We got slaw and tater salad to go that we haven't tried yet, but look amazing!) Laurie and the rest of the staff were excellent employees, we will def be back!
Lynn F — Google review
I received 4 lovely crab cakes shipped to me as a gift. They came packaged very well, insulated and a large block of ice to keep it cold. It is insanely hot outside, but the crab cakes were ice cold! We pan seared them, finished in the oven. So, so good. Very high quality, large lumps of crab meat, seasoned well, and very little filler. The crab cakes individually were probably 6-7 ounces a piece, they were huge. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone. Very nice gift and great quality!!!

Charm City Cakes, founded by Duff Goldman, gained fame through The Food Network TV show Ace of Cakes. The bakery is known for its sculptural cake creations, including replicas of airplanes and celebrities like Ozzy Osbourne. They also offer classes at their Remington studio for both beginners and experienced bakers to learn cake decorating techniques. In addition to their elaborate cakes, they offer cake jars with various flavors and a selection of wedding cakes in classic, signature, and premiere collections.
Stopped here while traveling because it was on my daughter‘s bucket list as she just loves stuff. We were lucky enough to have it opened and the gentleman working, Derek, took such wonderful care of us and made the whole experience. Something really special definitely recommend definitely will go back
Stephen S — Google review
We stopped by charm city cakes after we went to the aquarium. I picked up 5 cupcakes and 2 cookies. The chocolate base of my cupcakes tasted like a Costco chocolate muffin. Kinda dry and simple flavor. The icing on my cupcakes were buttery and light but not that flavorful. The espresso icing had the most flavor. The 2 chocolate chip cookies I got tasted a day or 2 old. The flavor was good but the cookie was basically crumbling, I was hoping for a softer texture. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return here but I think it’s still worth trying. The cashier was very nice though!
Carmela M — Google review
I was so excited to come here. Have watched Duff for years! Unfortunately, I was so disappointed in the cupcakes. The frosting, however, was wonderful. Smooth and silky. I bought a dozen (for $50) in a variety of flavors as well as two jar cakes. The cakes are all the same flavor, either a yellow cake or a chocolate cake. They were really dry and crumbly. The different flavors were the frosting. Passion fruit cupcake was yellow cake with a passion fruit frosting. Espresso was a dark chocolate cake with Espresso frosting and so on. Had such high hopes for the product of my favorite bakery star.
Lorna C — Google review
We love Charm City Cakes! We first started getting cupcakes here during lockdown of the pandemic. We would go for walks in the neighborhood, and we noticed their little window with the open sign and the doorbell you could ring and order cupcakes. It soon became a regular stop on neighborhood walks. We love the seasonal cupcakes and the cake jars, and, I'm not overstating this here, the best chocolate chip cookie in the city. It's lacy and chewy and sprinkled with sea salt. Oh, and you get to look at all the amazing sample cakes on display. They've got merch, and they also have cute little baking kits for kids, among other gifts. Can't wait till my little one is old enough to take a kids class here!
Sarah M — Google review
Enjoyed our visit and loaded up on cakes in a jar! Derrick, the retail manager, was professional, polite, and knowledgeable! Will definitely be back!
Susan H — Google review
We got the passion fruit cake in a jar…the cake was dry and the frosting was overly greasy (to much butter) and tasted like artificial passion fruit. I know Duff would definitely have cut this baker if it had been on TV.
Maria T — Google review
My daughter and I were so delighted by Charm City Cakes. We got there a bit too early, but that gave us time to look around and find the buffalo! (Hint: Read the signs!) We took a beginner class (my daughter is six) for decorating unicorn cupcakes. I had never decorated with fondant before, so it was completely appropriate for both of us. Annamarie and Persi (I'm sorry if I made mistakes on your names!) were very pleasant and joyful. The fondant and tools were all conveniently available (although the fondant colors were different than the picture shown). I highly recommend the class, and I thought the cupcakes themselves were quite tasty! If you're visiting the Inner Harbor, take a trip to Charm City cakes. It's worth it!
Patricia A — Google review
Ordered 6 cupcakes for delivery in Baltimore. They came perfectly packaged and beautiful with quick delivery. Like nearly everyone else, I watched the show many years back so I was excited to try the vanilla, cookies and cream and passion fruit cupcakes. This would really be 4.5 stars because I didn't love the frosting. It was creamy, not as sweet as you'd expect frosting to be and in some cases, almost a little flavorless. But the cake part was delicious in all three, sturdy but not dry, and sweet. I assume the frosting isn't as sweet because the cake is, which would make sense. I will order from here again, or may order a full cake some day soon.

Nestled in the heart of Baltimore's Little Italy, Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop is a beloved gem that transports visitors to a world of authentic Sicilian delights. Renowned for its luscious cannoli filled with sweet ricotta and chocolate morsels, this bakery also boasts an impressive selection of cookies, including pignoli cookies made with almond paste and pine nuts, as well as delightful butter sandwich cookies dusted with powdered sugar.
I just stumbled upon this place while traveling for work and I’m so glad I did! Vaccaro’s Italian Pastry Shop is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of fresh baked goods fills the air and sets the tone for an incredible experience. Their authentic Italian cookies are truly unmatched — perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with rich, traditional flavors that instantly transport you to Italy. And the cannolis? Absolutely phenomenal. The shells are crisp and delicate, while the filling is creamy, lightly sweetened, and bursting with authentic ricotta flavor — easily the best cannolis I’ve ever had outside of Sicily. If you love true Italian pastries made the old-fashioned way, Vaccaro’s is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try even more of their amazing desserts!

This restaurant used to be quite the place. Unfortunately our recent visit It just seems to be not so great. The baked goods such as the Napoleon was not as flaky and fresh. The limoncello martini was served watered down and we had to ask for it to be remade It literally tasted like water. Portions are very big here. Their ice cream is not that tasty. There are quite a few people in line for the pastries themselves for takeout. Those might be pretty good They did not have a lot of dairy-free options. But they do look pretty tasty.
Thu-Nga M — Google review
Man, this place used to be so good years ago. I used to come here all the time, and the pastries were fresh, the place felt clean, and everything tasted amazing. I don’t know what happened with the ownership, but it’s really gone downhill. The Napoleon cake I got was old and soggy, and the cream tasted off. The panini press looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in forever, straight-up grimey. Even the ice cream was a bit melted, like the freezer wasn’t doing its job. The whole place just doesn’t have that same care it used to. Really disappointing to see a spot I used to love fall off like this.

This place is a fun little place not far from Inner Harbor and in Little Italy, Baltimore. My grandma lives near here in the 1950s and it is so fun to think of her enjoying this place, too, since it was established in 1958. I am from the Midwest and I loved trying the authentic Italian pastries and rum cake. Everything was very delicious and reasonably priced given its authenticity. Although, I did not get any ice cream it was very noticeable the ice cream was almost melting in the showcase cooler and was quite off putting. I would not go there for ice cream but for everything else. Atmosphere was clean and staff were very friendly and courteous. They were able to accommodate 6 of us easily. 10/10 would recommend and will be going back again. I loved this place so much I even bought a coffee cup to take home. It literally sparks joy for me!!!
Jennifer M — Google review
Vaccaro’s has some of the best coffee, pastries, and gelato in all of Baltimore. The atmosphere is amazing located in the heart of Little Italy. The sundaes are out of this world, especially the brownie lovers sundae, and perfect for sharing. The cappuccino is delicious and definitely recommend their cold brew. Plenty of seating inside and friendly staff.
Daniel S — Google review
First time coming here as I was looking for an Italian bakery that was comparable to NYC standards. I live in Harrisburg PA now, but since I was in the neighborhood getting some other food elsewhere, I wanted to stop in and see how good their bakery items were. First off, the place itself is not very big. There is a counter when you walk in with all of their delicious treats displayed, and there is also a sitting area if you want to eat there, which was nice. I was hoping for some good cannoli cream and shells. I got 6 mini regular and 6 mini chocolate. They were both equally yummy and tastes like one you would get from Queens or Brooklyn. I also got some rainbow cookies and a few other cookies to go as well. L Everything I bought tasted fresh and will definitely be back again when I am up this way. I wish they had more of a selection of pastries, but for the size of the establishment, what they have does them good. Definitely try the cannoli cookies if you get a chance.
Thomas L — Google review
Amazing desserts with crazy large portions! We enjoyed a variety of Italian desserts, but could not finish them as the portion sizes were huge. Definitely get an amount worth your money though. They have a lot of different options to choose from and they were all delicious.
Skyler F — Google review
I heard great things about this place and had to stop in to grab my very own cannoli. It did not disappoint. It was delicious. The bakery had a few tables and chairs with a great selection of Italian cookies and desserts as well as ice cream. I only picked up my cannoli to go, but it was a great stop in Baltimore.

Jimmy's Famous Seafood, a laid-back establishment that has been serving Maryland-style crab cakes and seafood specialties since 1974, has gained national renown. The restaurant is adorned with photos of celebrities and has been featured in various magazines and television shows. Renovated during the pandemic, it offers a variety of dining spaces including an outdoor area and a second-floor bar and lounge.
One of the most magical food experiences of my life. I'm not much of a seafood person, but during my vacation I wanted to try something different. The corn and crab chowder was phenomenal! It captures your taste buds and sends you on a journey. I've never had clams before, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed them. I got the crabcake and asparagus, and it was very delicious, full of flavor. The portion of asparagus was very generous and tasty. My friends got the blue crab and stuffed founder, and they both said they were phenomenal. I was very surprised the quality and portions of the kids food. It was legit homemade chicken tenders and homemade mac and cheese. I've never seen such quality in a kids menu before. Customer service was great from our waitress, staff, manager, and the son of Jimmy himself. My friends daughter was treated like royalty, and it really made her day with how generous they were. If I ever come back to Baltimore I will absolutely be back and will try different things. I highly recommend coming here. Absolutely phenomenal!

We had seen many great things about Jimmy's. It was enough to plan a trip around from NC. We ate here for dinner on 2 separate occasions trying their vast menu options out. The Crab Cakes are the best we've ever had! The crab cake egg rolls, Crab Mac and Cheese, and nachos were also very good. The freshness of the ingredients and skillfulness of the kitchen really shows when the food arrives at your table. We only had two small complaints, you can't get some of the smaller dishes served at lunch for dinner, such as burgers and sliders. The other complaint is we ordered desserts to go and it took a while to receive, and when we got back to our hotel, we noticed it had been sliced 1-2 days prior based on their sticker. The dessert wasn't worth the price we paid but the rest of our meal definitely was! The service was ok but not exceptional. The restaurant was very well kept clean and up to date. Overall it was a great experience and if we're ever back in the area, we will stop again.

First time here and we had heard good things. Jimmy’s definitely delivered! We sat in the bar area, but the whole place was modern with great seafood shack vibe. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. The crab cake was probably on of the best quality I’ve ever eaten and the crab wontons and crab California rolls were on point too. We were actually driving through this time, but I’d go out of my way to get back to Baltimore to visit Jimmy’s again!

We drove all the way from Chicago. Illinois, for this restaurant, it was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was awesome! We ordered so much from the menu and tried so many new things. And it all was so amazing. And good. Our waitress Mia did everything she could to make us feel at home. She was 1 in a million, also all other waitresses and servers constantly checked on us too. Would highly recommend this place!!!!!❤️

I stopped in on a Monday and saw on the menu there was happy hour all day. (Our host didn’t tell us about happy hour but told several other tables around us which was weird). However, I ordered the Rockefeller oysters which were 10/10. The shrimp skillet with garlic bread was different but pretty good. Mini lobster tails were so tender and perfect. Ordered a Moscow mule which was pretty basic, then a fall cinnamon cocktail that was different but tasty. Crab cakes and broccolini were also 10/10, broccolini was seasoned and spicy which I loved, everything was super fresh and hot off the press! When I return definitely going back to this place, huge menu with plenty options.
Danielle B — Google review
Don’t eat the bread! Seriously… You do not want to fill up on the bread in this place. The food portions are huge and delicious. I had the twin crabcakes… Definitely should’ve just gone for one. But I happily over stuffed myself with 2. They are pretty big and one would’ve been enough. My lunch date had the crab mac & cheese, and pan seared scallops. The scallops were buttery, soft and cooked to perfection. Loads of crab on the mac & cheese and definitely worth the up charge. Our server was great. Very attentive and quick service. He even brought soda refills without our asking… Actually, we weren’t even finished with the first round and he already had the second round ready to go. Can’t wait until our next visit to Maryland because we are definitely eating here again!
Deanna C — Google review
Drove all the way from Chicago to eat here and it lived up to the hype! Beyond impressed with the service, atmosphere and food! Mia was our server and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and well taken care of. She was so friendly and even put her own personal touch on our dining experience to put it over the top by getting us each a gift from the manager for coming so far to eat here. The live music was superb and really added to the ambiance. I can’t recommend this place enough! Come eat here at all costs, it’s worth it!
Kelly K — Google review
Was apprehensive since this place is SO infamous and I wasn’t sure the place would live up to the hype. I have to say, I was impressed! The inside is much nicer than it looks from the outside. Very bright and spacious. We tried the crab dip (sorry - we destroyed it pretty quick so no photo) which came with a thick garlic toast. Yummm. My husband had the chicken Chesapeake with green beans. He was very happy. Said it was great portion and delicious. He also took down two of their Cinder & Smoke old fashioneds. I wasn’t hungry enough for a full dinner so got a cup of Maryland crab soup, a raw bar sampler (a deal at $15!!) and some calamari (which was more then expected). Everything was delicious!! Can’t wait to go back.

This is local neighborhood staple. They have some of the best crab cakes and shrimp salad in Baltimore City. This pub has been open for 40 years and they are family-owned and demonstrate work-life balance to the fullest. Well done Koco's!

IFYKYK Koco"s has the best crab cakes in Baltimore. You don't need any condiments to enhance the flavor. 100% lump crab w/o any fillers. Always satisfies my crab cake cravings!
Queen S — Google review
Customer service was excellent. I ordered online and within 5 minutes I received a message that my order was ready. Was greeted as soon as I entered the restaurant. Ordered was bagged and ready to go with condiments. Ordered cream of crab soup and crab cakes. The soup could've used a little more seasoning however it had lump crab in it. The Crab cakes were exceptionally good. I will be returning and I will definitely recommend to others.

This was a fun local spot! We came specifically for the crab cake but ended up trying the creamy crab soup and jerk chicken dish as well. To be totally honest my favorite piece was the giant hunk of tomato that came with the crab cake! But overall a great stop while in town!

I ordered online for takeout. Staff was friendly. I got the crab soup and crab cake platter. I paid around $65 for both. The crab soup was creamy and had good chunks of crab. The crab cake was huge. It was amazing and was practically all crab. Fries were good. I'd say it was well worth the price.

My review of Midnite Confections is honestly long overdue! My friends and l find any excuse we can to have Midnite cupcakes. We are OBSESSED! They did my wedding cake (carrot cake) and just did a salted caramel cake for my friend’s birthday! They never disappoint. If you haven’t tried them you are missing out! I can’t recommend them enough!

Best cupcakes ever!!! MCC has been my go-to place for cupcakes since they opened! The Salted Caramel and Eclipse cupcakes are sooo good but the Full Moon is the bomb!! Their cupcakes are moist, almost muffin like and the vanilla bean icing is phenomenal! Chefs kiss! The bakery is so cute and the service is friendly. Highly recommend.

Midnite makes the best cupcakes in Baltimore, and maybe in the world. If you love a dense, moist, flavorful cake then you are going to love what Midnite has to offer. In fact, I loved the cupcakes so much that we ordered our wedding cake from Midnite! It was delicious, reasonably priced, and our guests raved about the taste. Dana was excellent to work with and helped us come up with decoration that fit our budget. She also didn't mind using sprinkles and decor we purchased ourselves. Thank you for a fantastic cake!!

If you're trying to find something for keto birthday but still satisfy everyone else this is the place! I was able to walk in and get a dozen delicious cupcakes 2 of which were keto for the guest of honor. She said they were really good. I had the Full Moon and it was moist, full of flavor but not overly sweet, definitely tasted homemade, not store bought. Service was friendly and accommodating. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Midnight Confectionary is my absolute favorite cupcake shop in literally the whole world. I’ve eaten the best cupcakes in many different states and countries, and literally none of them compare to the perfection that is the Midnight Confectionary cupcake! The icing is the perfect consistency and sweetness , made from quality buttercream, and the cupcake is so moist and flavorful. I literally begged and pleaded to have the cupcakes shipped to me in Atlanta for my birthday because no other cupcake would do. It also helps that the owners are simply wonderful.

I cannot thank Dana enough for all her help and for making a spectacular cake!!! GiGi

Disappointed is an understatement to learn the trouble my fiancé and his family went through to get our wedding cake that was supposed to continue a generational tradition of family wedding cakes from this bakery. They were provided a plain pound cake when we had agreed and scheduled with the folks at this bakery months in advance for a specific design. Even at the tasting staff was abrasive and not welcoming. We will not be returning, do not recommend.

This bakery is the best. I get all my cakes made from here. Their pastries are delicious. You have to go there. The service is excellent

This is the worse bakery that I have ever been to. You would do better and your cake would be more tasty if you would go to Giant, Sam's, Woodley, Wegmans, Suga Baker and Ms Desert would be your best if you want that home made taste. Do not go here the cake has know flavor know taste at all. It's dry not fresh taste like they have had it for a week. Cupcakes bad also your cake supposed to be the highlight of your party. All they do is icing and that sums up your cake if you are looking for dry tasteless Desert well this would be your spot I will never buy anything from here ever again first impression is lasting. We'll first and last after coming along distance to get such a bad let down

Founded by John and Dorothy Hergenroede in 1943, this charming bakery is now run by their grandson Charlie and his wife Concetta, who continue to uphold the family tradition with a focus on community.
We ordered our wedding cake through Woodlea Bakery and we were so happy!!! Everything was to order and the cake came out amazing!! They listened to what we wanted and made it happen. Fantastic bakery! We used Woodlea Bakery (Bel Air Rd) for both our daughter’s Wedding and Daughter In Law’s baby shower. The Wedding cake (front & back pictures) is a 5 tiered, 5 flavored design by Charles. He personally delivered the creation and worked with the florist and wedding planner to garnish the cake. The Shower Cake is a 2 tiered, 2 flavor creation that we picked up. It was expertly packaged and they helped load it in the car. My wife brought a reference photo for the cake and they made it exactly as she envisioned. This is the original bakery, a landmark in the area and an absolute diamond!

Located in the lively neighborhoods of Little Italy and Fells Point, Ovenbird Bakery is a popular spot known for its exceptional bread and pastries. Despite its small size, the bakery attracts a steady stream of customers, with lines forming outside eagerly waiting to sample their renowned sourdough bread and diverse menu offerings. My husband went in to grab a bite before a concert. I highly recommend the Beet Salad, the Grouper & the Mushrooms. I don’t know the actual names, sorry but, Erika & Monica were wonderful at explaining the dishes & recommending a great bottle of wine. We had a great time & will be back!!!

Really liked this bakery! We came for savory/lunch dishes so didn’t get to sample a lot of the bakery offerings. However, I can say that the sandwiches are well made, great balance of seasoning and quality ingredients. I had a bagel with lox and it was certainly tasty, although I will say that it was not particularly crusty. Wife claimed her avocado toast was the best she’d ever had. Service was exceedingly friendly. Just note that there is very little seating.

So cute! I got an ube iced latte and it was delicious, their pastries looked so good. I’ll definitely be coming back for some bread as well. Small seating area inside, as well as outside.

I recently had a piece of the peach coffee cake, which looked and sounded good. The display piece is way bigger than what they give you, first of all, and second it came cold and was as dense and thick as a brick. Tasted fine but not trying to break my teeth. Also, it came in this large plastic to go container. Why? My americano was fine though.
Drew K — Google review
The cheddar bacon chive scone and the blueberry lemon scone were fantastic! I also tried the banana espresso muffin which was good, but it was topped with salt and I think it should have been topped with sanding sugar instead. Lastly, I had the lox bagel sandwich which was good, but just average. I would definitely recommend this place for their pastries.
Liza M — Google review
Turkey and Havarti on Sourdough was excellent. The kids had a delicious three cheese grilled cheese sandwich with a tomato sauce dip. The desserts all looked excellent. I had the Strawberry and Rhubarb Crostata, which was also excellent. The kids had a cinnamon bun and chocolate croissant they enjoyed. Cold brew was also on point. I will definitely be going back. Seating is very limited, but being a small cafe in downtown Baltimore’s expected.

I go here every Saturday morning before my 12 hour waitressing shift and they never disappoint. The croissants are SO GOOD. My favorite is the chocolate and pistachio croissants but the almond is really good too. My only suggestion is that they need to have 2 percent milk because I hate having whole milk or nondairy alternatives. This place is like a neighborhood staple and everyone that works there is very friendly :)

I highly recommend this wonderful shop that gives back to the community and puts a smile on your face with every yummy bite you take! Will definitely be ordering from them again.

We've been coming to Codetta for years! It's a tradition to get our kiddo's birthday mini cupcakes from here (birthday cake & cookies n. cream). The service is great, and the sweet treats are phenomenal. I'm lactose intolerant, and I will pop a lactose pill so I can have a bit of their tres leches, cheesecakes, and ice cream. You can't go wrong with their regular-sized cupcakes and I love that they have some rotating flavors. Their vanilla birthday cake is a personal favorite, too. Also, their Instagram is a lot of fun, so give them a follow there :)

Codetta is my absolute favorite bakery in the city! Cupcakes are my favorite dessert, and nobody does them better than Codetta. The weekly specials are an amazing deal (four cupcakes for $10), especially considering how high quality they are. The cake is extremely soft, fluffy, and not at all crumbly. The frosting to cake ratio is perfect, and the flavors are fun and innovative. The owners are incredibly responsive and friendly. I trust them to resolve any issues promptly, since they genuinely care about their customers' experiences and the quality of their treats. The establishment has become a popular destination for Francophiles and those with a sweet tooth. Customers appreciate the authentic French cafe experience with both indoor and outdoor seating options.
I was so excited when I discovered this bakery on Google maps! I came here Sunday morning before walking around Lake Roland. It was busy! I got a slice of the caramelized onion quiche and a latte and both were delicious. I need to come back and try all the quiches! The only downside is that a longer wait for my quiche, but with the bakery being busy, I totally understand. I will definitely be back.
Lanee H — Google review
Visited for the first time, so my husband and I tried multiple things. They were very busy, with good reason, because the food was all amazing and the employees were outstanding. However, be prepared for limited seating as the location is small. We opted to carry out. I highly recommend the turkey and cheese croissant for a savory option. However, all of their croissants were amazing, plain butter, almond, chocolate, and chocolate almond. They had a sweet cheese puff that was delightful. Perfect blend of crisp, airy, pastry, and the cheese filling was tasty and a perfect level of sweetness. I also really enjoyed the walnut bun (maybe it was pecan). Nice chewy pastry with crunchy nuts. The only photo I took was of the blackberry mini cake (forgot the listed name). As that actually made it home. My only issue was figuring out parking. There is some street parking, but they were understandably busy. There are a few parking lots nearby, but signage about restrictions made it confusing and risky about possibly being towed. I'll be better prepared on my next visit now that I'm aware.

I just love this sweet little local place. Today my husband and I stopped in quickly to pick up a gift. The woman working 9am Tuesday 10/14... should have gotten her name... literally brightened my day.. as soon as I opened the door she smiled and said hi. I drove out of my way to purchase because the food is consistently excellent, and for the great quality the prices are fair. Hands down this is my favorite place on the falls road corridor. A few years back I happened to chat briefly with the owner who was equally as lovely. I wish it was bigger with more seating... but if it was it might lose the cute vibe. We got our order to go... the hubs was in a rush... I would have stayed... thanks for the friendly welcome that accompanied great food and service... lastly if you read this for SHOP LOCAL!!!

Harmony Bakery is a cozy spot with a small outdoor seating area, offering a menu filled with gluten-free desserts, pastries, and light bites. Founded by the husband-wife duo Renee and Don, along with their children Lisa and Kirk who are now running the bakery, Harmony Bakery has gained a loyal following in Baltimore.
I was so excited to find a peanut-free, gluten-free, and vegan bakery! Last week, I helped host a birthday party and some of our guests have gluten, dairy, and nut allergies. I really wanted to get desserts that everyone could enjoy! Even though Harmony Bakery isn’t tree nut-free, they assured me that they make each order one at a time and would change their gloves when handling the order. Success!! Everyone LOVED the desserts and enjoyed worry free! Only crumbs left! I ordered the Boston Cream cake, vanilla cake cupcakes, Oreo pumpkin cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. Everything was so beautifully made, and everyone asked where we got the desserts and were shocked that they were allergen-free! Can’t recommend this place enough! They also have delicious breakfast and lunch items. Thank you SO SO much, Harmony Bakery team!

Amazing place for gluten free desserts!!! As someone who has been gluten free for 7 years I highly recommend this place for deserts!! However, I do not love their bagels and baked goods such as muffins compared to gluten free bakeries that specialize in bread. I highly recommend the Samoa bar and the pistachio bar!! There is very limited indoor seating and they get very busy so it is best you order to go.

I had such a great experience ordering a custom cake from Harmony Bakery! They were able to accommodate a quick turn around. I had a great experience picking up the cake as well, the staff were very friendly. The cake was beautifully decorated and everyone enjoyed it. I will gladly be a repeat customer!

My first time trying vegan anything. I randomly find this spot and walking in it- smells amazing. When I say this butternut tart was hitting, it was delicious! Then I had a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin and it was just the right amount of sweetness and very moist. I had an iced coffee with almond milk, which had a good taste. But for me it could be a lot sweeter. Can't wait to come back n try more.

Harmony Bakery is an adorable tiny space with folks bustling about baking delicious treats. There isn’t much room for sitting and relaxing but it’s great to pop in for a coffee and something sweet. The staff is always pleasant and friendly.

Such an amazing, welcoming place and EVERYTHING IS GLUTEN FREE!!! ❤️❤️ We have found with gluten free items you just never know what you’re going to get. Every single item we selected was delicious! We quickly ate the Curry Zucchini Cashew Cream tart on the bench right outside the front door. The weather was gorgeous and we took our time savoring every bite! Couldn’t decide what we wanted so we also collected a bunch of items to eat later at home. Rosemary Cashew Biscotti paired amazingly with our coffee! Mixed berry donut and Blueberry Cornbread with maple butter……absolutely delicious and we will be returning!!! They have a community board for local artisans to post their businesses and since they are right in Hampden, perfect place to grab a tasty treat and walk the town. The ladies inside are super friendly and warm. I’m already planning what I’ll grab next visit.

Went here with someone with celiacs and it’s nice to know that you’re getting delicious baked goods with no chance of cross-contamination! The donuts and muffins (all gluten free) were so moist and tasty. The donuts definitely had more of a cake-y texture than a traditional donut, but I loved it! The cashier was also very nice and answered all our questions patiently. Highly recommend this place!

we just found this place by accident, and I bolted in when I saw it was gluten-free because I'm practically celiac. Everyone was super friendly, and the prices were great. I got a lemon blueberry muffin and a chocolate chip cookie, and I swear, they were two of the best things I've ever eaten. The fact that they're vegan and gluten-free blew my mind – I couldn't even tell the difference from when I could eat regular stuff before my body turned on me. Seriously, you gotta check this place out if you're around; you won't regret it.

Bakery
Hoehn's Bakery is a cherished family-owned bakery in Highlandtown, Baltimore, that has been delighting customers since 1927. The bakery is known for its traditional and classic offerings, such as doughnuts, crullers, hearth-baked breads, cookies, and smearcase (Baltimore's own type of cheesecake). The warm aroma of yeast and sugar fills the air inside the cozy corner store where friendly neighbors gather for their favorite treats.
Review based on delivery (by Door Dash). My work has "donut day" every other Friday where a different lab member signs up to bring in donuts. After scouring Yelp for a while, I stumbled on Hoehn's which promised freshly baked, home-style donuts. Yelp did not disappoint. I ordered a generous (and shockingly cheap!) array of donuts and three weeks later, my lab mates still ask me for the name of "that amazing donut place." Even my hardest to please co-worker tried to mandate that everyone have to bring in Friday donuts from Hoehn's only. The selection is plentiful, the price is 90's family bakery cheap, and the donuts (and pastries and buns and cakes) are incredible. Fluffy, light, flavorful, and rich. The cake donuts are dense with a perfect bite, the flavored rolls are stuffed to breaking with fresh fruit spreads, and the traditional donuts are the best I've had. Hoehn's doesn't need any instagrammable-neon pink-unicorn flavors to draw in visitors: it's just good. I ordered 2 dozen donuts, 1 dozen cake donuts, 1 dozen mixed pastries, 4 pizza buns (OH MY GOD SO GOOD), and a dozen hand pies and the total, with delivery, came to only $34. Some coworkers made bets on whether I had spent $75, $100, or $150. Nope. A cool $34. The standouts were the pizza buns which laid somewhere between a pillowy bread and a chewy tall Chicago-style pizza crust, and the cheese pastries. The pizza sauce was bright, tangy, and fresh. The cheese pastry was rich but binge-able, smooth, gently sour, and delicious. Cannot recommend Hoehn's enough.

I was searching for hot cross buns and this bakery kept popping up. I called and the lady on the phone was so nice. I drove an hour to get these buns and they were delicious. They were sprinkled with powdered sugar which I welcomed. The prices were very reasonable as well 💜

I had heard this bakery was good. When I drove to the location it looked very dark from the windows, that I almost thought it was closed. However I saw the open sign and went inside the bakery. The decor is very outdated but there was a decent selection of baked goods. I had a honey dipped donut and a marshmallow coconut donut. What this bakery lacked in decor was completely made up for in their food. The prices were great too! I was impressed and will be back! Don't let the outside and decor fool you, the baked goods are delicious!

The service was outstanding, probably one of the best I experienced. The donuts were yummy and fresh. The dough especially was amazing. The jelly was ok, bit too much. We are not from the area, but will definitely come back whenever we are close by. Thank you.

Pariser's Bakery, a Baltimore institution since 1889, is known for its kosher and parve baked goods. The bakery offers a variety of unique drip cakes in flavors like strawberry banana and smores with chocolate icing. They also have an assortment of hamantaschen pastries and classic treats such as buttery Danish, eclairs, and Napoleans. In addition to their Pikesville location, Pariser's Bakery has a sister store in Israel.
Im stuck on their delicious danishes. I haven't tried anything else but I will in time, as they have a wide variety of pastries. The service is excellent!!
1ravens4life — Google review
The service is absolutely terrible. I expect bad kosher food, and this place meets those standards but it doesn’t seem as though they have any room to compromise on service, yet they choose to do so. I tried to place an order for mini cupcakes—they can’t accommodate a next day pick up. First red flag. This after I waited on hold for 30 mins. While I was on hold, I called from my husband’s phone and they took his call right away but when I was put on hold to check if next day pick up was available, the woman never returned. While I feel for the woman who is the only one in the store (second red flag), it’s clear that there is no logical queue or line for receiving the orders. The place is chaos. Good thing there are other options in the area when it’s absolutely needed!
Sarah M — Google review
Pariser's Bakery is a true gem for doughnut lovers! Their selection is incredible, with so many different flavors to choose from. The Lotus donut is a standout—perfectly sweet with that irresistible caramelised crunch. The chocolate-topped donut is another favorite, rich and satisfying without being overly indulgent. What makes the experience even better is the pricing; the donuts are so affordable, making it easy to treat yourself without breaking the bank. The staff are equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with recommendations. If you’re looking for quality donuts with excellent service, this is the place to go! Highly recommended.

The smell lures you in wherw you are immediately overtaken by pastries, fresh baked bread, donuts of every kind. I bought several types of danish: walnut, lemon, apple, and cheese. Delicious!! The store began to fill-up with people coming in to purchase the goods for their grand-children, and themselves. Highly recommend!

Thank you Parisers! Excellent service, amazing pastries. The white chocolate mousse cake or the dark chocolate mousse cake are part of non-dairy and are absolutely delicious. They make custom beautiful birthday cakes. They also have a small coffee and tea bar.

Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar is not your average sports bar, but a comfy and convivial branch of a local seafood chain. Their famous crab cakes, featured on Food Network, Baltimore Magazine, and The O List, have even caught the attention of Oprah. The restaurant offers impressive service and a variety of food options that are not overwhelming. Customers highly recommend the calamari with fried peppers as well as the zucchini boat.
My sister and I went out for her birthday. Everything was great, including the food. Jessie, our bartender, was highly attentive and constantly checked in on us. She had a great time, and it was her first visit. They didn't sing Happy Birthday, which was a bummer, but she still enjoyed it.

The food was excellent and the service was great as well. We were immediately seated and our server came right over. The jumbo lump crab cake did not disappoint there was little to no filler. The cream of crab soup definitely had lump crab was flavorful and had an excellent creamy texture. The zucchini sticks were good served with a spicy sauce. The crab dip was delicious filled with crab meat served with warm perfectly toasted pita . The decor is dated not much of a vibe however the food was great. I will return

When we heard about Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar in Glen Burnie, we knew we had to check it out for ourselves. They are known for their famous crab cakes, and this spot has been highly recommended for seafood lovers. We popped in for lunch, and we wanted to judge for ourselves if they really do make the best crabcakes in Maryland. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-tier. Our server went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. She was attentive, friendly, and always checking in. She made us feel genuinely welcome. The food came out very fast. It was almost too fast! We usually appreciate a little time between courses, but if you’re someone who likes quick service, you’ll love it here for sure. The ambiance is casual and laid-back. It’s clean and comfortable, but not fancy. It gives family-friendly dining experience to me. It’s perfect for a relaxed meal, date night, or a small celebration. Since this place can get packed, we opted for a lunchtime visit, and it was just right for us. We had....... Cream of Crab Soup – 9/10 This was the star of the meal. It was loaded with chunks of crab, rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. While it could have been hotter, the taste made up for it. If you love a good crab soup, this one is a must-try. Crab Dip – 8/10 The Crab Dip was thick, creamy, and extra cheesy, a seafood lover’s dream. The portion size was generous, making it a great dish to share. It's definitely worth ordering if you’re a fan of warm, melty, crab-filled goodness. Tossed Salad with Homemade Ranch – 8/10 We didn’t expect to be so impressed with a simple tossed salad, but the freshness really stood out. It had crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, crunchy croutons, red onions, and green peppers. It was simple but done right. The homemade ranch dressing was next level, bursting with flavor and tying everything together perfectly. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make a meal memorable! Crab Cakes – 7/10 Now for the famous crab cakes. They were huge, meaty, and had almost no filler, which is exactly what you want in a crab cake. The seasoning was on the mild side, and while we personally would have preferred a bit more boldness, they were still solid. A little squeeze of lemon really helped bring out the flavor. If you like your crab cakes pure and simple, you’ll probably love them. Seafood Fettuccine Alfredo – 7/10 This one was a mixed bag. The portion was generous, and the pasta itself was cooked well, but the Alfredo sauce lacked flavor for the person who ordered it. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t wow them either. Instead of finishing it at the table, they boxed it up to go. Maybe some extra seasoning or a kick of garlic would have helped. Overall, Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar delivered on great service, fresh seafood, and hearty portions. The prices are fair for the quality and portion sizes, making it a solid choice for seafood lovers. While the ambiance is simple, the food and service make it worth the visit. Would we go back? Absolutely! If you’re looking for great crab soup, a solid crab dip, and fast service, this spot is worth checking out. Global Sistas Food Review

This is a great place. It's not often you can be this close to a bakery of this size. You are literally a few steps from a massive bakery operation. The cakes are out of this world. They are not cheap, but they're some of the best I've ever had. The carrot cake is unbelievable. You can also buy sandwiches and breakfast here.

I recently stopped by Bakery Express and ordered a dozen donuts. While they weren’t the absolute best I’ve ever had, they were definitely a major step up from your typical chain donut shop. What really stood out were the unbeatable prices — it’s hard to find that kind of value anywhere these days. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, with both the staff and fellow customers being incredibly friendly. I also really liked the setup of self-seating and self-serve, which made the experience feel relaxed and easygoing. Overall, Bakery Express delivered a solid visit, and I’d definitely go back when I’m craving something sweet without the chain store vibe.

Dulceology Bakery is a delightful artisan bakery that specializes in crafting an array of freshly baked treats, including cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and pastries. Each item is lovingly handmade every day by a dedicated team of pastry artists who pour their passion into creating delicious and visually appealing confections. The bakery operates in a kitchen equipped to handle various ingredients like nuts, gluten (wheat), dairy, and eggs.
I bought donuts from them this morning for some clients in Baltimore. I was originally planning to grab one, maybe two dozen donuts, but the order more than doubled at the last minute. Despite this (and it being a walk-in order), they were able to accommodate with an assortment of 5-dozen donuts and “cronuts” which were VERY well received by the clients. I would definitely recommend ordering ahead of time, especially for large orders, but the service was excellent nonetheless and their food incredible.

The alfajores were delicious, especially the classic ones. The chocolate one was very dry. The donut 🍩 really delicious dough, flavor and texture. The key pie disappointed us :( it had a very strong egg flavor both the filling and the meringue we had to throw it away. If they could do better that would be a 5 ✨.
Zuleidy B — Google review
Im not sure what they’re doing differently here but it’s working! These are some of the very best donuts I’ve ever had. I travel a lot, and anywhere I go I get donuts. Not just a donut. I’m out here eating whole boxes of donuts in my car all over the place. Dulceology has some top tier donuts on their roster! The crème brûlée is what drew me in. It was ok. Not my style. But the vanilla glazed cronut? I was genuinely upset that I didn’t buy them all out. It was worth every calorie. It’s in fed hill, I have to drive through the city, the parking isn’t great, and my usual day off is Monday when they close. But after the first time I had them I called out of work just to make another trip here. I don’t want to oversell the hype. They really are worth it. I’ve had a few subjectively “better” donuts. But not in Maryland. And I’ll always go out of my way to come down here when I can!

I saw this place on Instagram and had to visit! Luckily it was near me and I'm glad I made the trip. I bought 6 cronuts and 6 macarons. My family loved the cronuts and macarons! Their favorites were the churro and pistachio one. The lady that helped me was very nice and helpful. I will definitely be back!

Great donuts! VERY pricey. Got a dozen (4 croissant donuts and 8 regular) and it set me back $50. Yikes! They were tasty but that’s quite excessive.
Jakob P — Google review
Stumbled upon this place while taking a morning stroll, and all I can say is just wow. You might need to rename those donuts 🍩, soft, fresh, flavorful...artisan donuts. Dont sleep on their coffee, had a vanilla latte, and it was on point even after taking a bite from the pinneaple donut 😋
Xavier M — Google review
Obsessed with their cronuts (croissant style donuts). They're light and airy in texture but bring the sweetness of a traditional donut. They do a good job with the variety of flavors and always have a few seasonal ones. They're pricey but truly feel like a treat and are so worth it
Nicole L — Google review
I only write reviews for places that blow me away, and Dulceology did exactly that. I only had the donuts, and that alone was enough to know this place is special. Dmitry was at the counter when we went. They were warm, welcoming, and so clearly passionate about their work that it made the whole visit even better. Now, about those donuts. They weren’t just good, they were something entirely new. Imagine the softness of a donut fused with the flaky layers of a croissant; I’ll admit, I thought it might just be a gimmick, but one bite shut that down real quick. And the frosting and filling? They tasted so fresh it was almost shocking, like someone had just picked the berries that morning and turned them into the most vibrant, bright, and naturally sweet filling and frosting imaginable. I had to damn near cover my eyes to stop myself from buying another one on the spot. And don’t just stop at the croissant donuts. The brioche donuts are every bit as incredible, soft and rich in a completely different way, yet somehow just as amazing. Both deserve their own spotlight. I left already figuring out when I can justify going back.

Taste This Cake is a charming bakery located in Baltimore, known for its unique flavors and modern cake designs. The owner, Jamillah, started the business as a way to honor her great-grandmother's baking legacy after experiencing a personal loss. Since its establishment in 2016, Taste This Cake has been using locally sourced ingredients to create delicious cakes and other baked goods from scratch. They specialize in creating elegantly simple buttercream cakes with personalized service for various events, including weddings.
We hired Taste This Cake for our December 2024 wedding after doing a few tastings and realizing that Taste This Cake's samples were worlds above more delicious than the competition. The cake was not only gorgeous and exactly what we wanted, but it also tasted so incredibly good and we had compliments about it all night and still are getting them a month later. Cannot recommend enough!
Nicole L — Google review
I dont know where to start - all words fall short! more than 5 stars needed for Jamillah at Taste This Cake. I have so many words about the actual cake that I am going to keep the service/communication part short - so responsive, so fun, so helpful, just all around so sweet (pun intended) and amazing! but the cake!! My husband picked up for me because i was busy and when i got back and saw this cake on the counter i was giddy. the packing was cute, the cake was SO BEAUTIFUL, everything i wanted but somehow better. I asked for dried citrus and some greenery but when i saw the Thyme sprigs i thought "ok is jamillah a long lost friend because I feel like she just gets me" . Aside from how it looked, it tasted even better! which i cant believe is possible. I didnt want a traditional super sweet cake and when Jamillah said they could do one of my favorites - olive oil cake, i was locked in. the olive oil cake with lemon curd was fresh and tangy and sweet and salty and moist and delicious and all of the things i wanted. everyone asked where it was from, everyone raved about it, and the words "we will never order a cake from anywhere else" were mentioned multiple times. no notes, all praise. thank you so much!!
Bianca F — Google review
Jamillah is fantastic! Not only are her sweet treats delicious, she takes so much care working with you on your special order. Most recently, she baked cupcakes for a baby shower I was hosting for a dear friend. Jamillah had made the mom-to-be’s wedding cake and also her gender reveal cake so as you can tell we love her baked creations so much we keep coming back!

As soon as I got engaged I knew I had to have Taste this Cake do my wedding cake. I had tried her olive oil cake when I frequented Full Tilt brewery located in front of B-More kitchen and it is amazing. When I picked up my tasting box I knew I wanted olive oil cake but everything was so delicious I ultimately went with almond, strawberry and vanilla buttercream- it was the winning combo for me. l couldn’t have been happier with the choice and the design was a perfect compliment to the Rawlings Conservatory venue and exactly what I wanted. The guest are still talking about how great the cake was and the best wedding cake/cake they ever had! Jamillah sent me a small olive oil cake loaf to the venue and it was the most delicious surprise and post wedding treat. That kind of attention and care takes it over the top! I can’t recommend Taste This Cake enough!! Every cake I need from now on will be from here and I can’t wait to “need” another cake.

Jamilah made the most delicious lemon raspberry cake for my cousins surprise engagement party! She was so kind and helpful, answering all of my questions promptly and giving great advice on my options. Will definitely be back!!! I don’t think there was even a crumb left by the end of this party.

Best cake I’ve ever had! Not only was the cake beautiful but it was absolutely delicious. Jamilah was wonderful to work with. Probably one of the kindest folks I’ve ever met. The Berry Lemonade cake was a super big hit at my birthday party on Friday! The filling was perfect and everyone raved how fresh and sweet it was. They said it was not overpowering at all and had the perfect balance. It doesn’t taste artificial at all. Will definitely be ordering again for events in the future. I forgot to mention, my family loved the unique design as well! Also very good communication and updates. (We added the candles and birthday sign) Thank you!

Spectacular. I had a mint chocolate cake made for a birthday and it was hands down one of the best cakes I’ve had. I’d say it was a perfect cake. Each flavor was present, with none overpowering others. The customer service was perfect as well. So friendly and great communication. This cake was made with a passion for baking. Yes, it is a pricey item but for a special occasion definitely worth the price. Easy ordering and pickup.

Love this place; it's calm & welcoming & easy-going: a great spot to sit & chat with a friend or alone with your thoughts and a book. Pretty sure they have wi-fi as well. And what a terrific Big Comfy Couch! Coffee is not their strongest point, but it'll do (& they do have espresso), & there are a few choices of tea, too. Their baked goods, on the other hand...! All sorts of yummy stuff (even a great gluten-free peanut-butter-&-jelly cookie!), & their prices are do-able. Come in & see (/taste!) for yourself!

Restaurant
Phillips Seafood is a well-established regional chain known for its Maryland-style seafood, particularly its signature crab cakes. The family-owned company has been in operation for a century and has made a significant impact on the global seafood market. From their origins on the Chesapeake Bay to expanding internationally, Phillips Seafood is committed to providing genuine hospitality and award-winning cuisine. In Baltimore's Inner Harbor area, the restaurant is a popular choice among locals and visitors alike.
We stopped in for lunch at Philips Seafood in Baltimore and had a fantastic experience. I had the crab cake sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My wife enjoyed the Caesar chicken salad, crisp and hearty, while our daughter loved the kids cheeseburger with fries. Everything came out quickly and just right. What really made the meal stand out was our server, Natasha — she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Great place to eat, it’s a must if you are traveling here visiting. The menu is insane so many great things to choose from. The Blue Crab Margarita is good lol. Don’t walk pass this place and go to Hard Rock Cafe next door. We had the Lobster Tacos it came with fries. Main dish was the Lobster Mac & Cheese / Fried Seafood Trio / Lobster & Shrimp Alfredo. Everything came out nice.

This is an excellent restaurant—and you get what you pay for. The Google Maps entry says the average price range is $30-50, but I really think it’s $50-70. Based on their current menu prices, it would be very difficult to get a complete meal for $30. That said, I had a great experience here. Our group was treated very well by the wait staff—friendly, attentive, often asked if we needed anything, and answered all of our questions immediately; very knowledgeable about the seafood dishes and the side dish and drink options. (NOTE: I forgot to take pictures of the food, except for the dessert tray!) I had the Barramundi Bites for the appetizer; this fish is an Asian sea bass, and the pieces were lightly breaded, tender, and the spicy sauce that came with it (in a separate bowl) complimented the fish well. I had the Ultimate Crab Cake for the entree, and it was quite good. I love crab cakes, and this one was as good as any I have had (and quite expensive). Tender breading, a good amount of crab, and seasoned well. For dessert, several of us shared the fudge brownie cake with ice cream. Very rich chocolate flavor! I enjoyed Phillips very much, but it’s the kind of place for special occasions, like the one our group was celebrating. I can’t afford to come here regularly.

Was super busy when we went and there was a wait, it was worth it though because the food was great. Our server was super sweet and knowledgeable about the menu, recommended some great dishes for us to try. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was delicious. We ordered the stuffed salmon, lobster roll and crab cake and steak meals. We all really enjoyed our food, it was cooked well and seasoned well. The presentation was also great.

The food here was simply divine! My family and I ordered the tuna poke nachos, broiled seafood trio, premium seafood trio, and the lobster roll, with an ice cream with brownie as dessert; they hit our spots! Numi our server was also attentive and cognizant of our needs. We will definitely be back next time we visit Baltimore.

The place was awesome. It was our first time and we love the food and ppl. I order the stuffed salmon and it was great. We will visit again and again. The atmosphere was beautiful made. Restrooms clean.

Great food and great service! We ordered the trio — the crab cakes were our favorite! The crab fries appetizer was delicious and full of flavor. Definitely recommend if you love good seafood! Seymor was a great server.

Our group wanted to get lunch before going to the National Aquarium. We got there right after they opened, so we were able to get a table immediately without a reservation (party of four). Our waitress was very nice and the food was delicious! Highly recommend for seafood lovers

Crab house
Restaurant
Nicks Fish House is a casual dining spot in Baltimore offering seafood, burgers, and picturesque views of the Patapsco River. It's known for its live music nights featuring local musicians and bands, creating a vibrant atmosphere for visitors. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu with seafood specialties like Maryland crab soup, blackened mahi mahi, and crab cakes.
I haven’t been home to Baltimore in over five years. My friend suggested this place and we met there for steamed crabs. I can tell you that this place is amazing in every aspect the atmosphere the drinks the menu was extensive. They had so many options. Everything was hot and fresh. We had the crab dip which was so so good and we got a half a dozen of jumbo’s and a half dozen of large crabs. these crabs were perfection, hot fresh and heavy. It’s right on the water down underneath the Hanover Street bridge in a new area called the Peninsula. This was all new to me since I’ve been living in New York. This place makes me wanna drive back down right now the food was that good. The service was excellent. The waitress was extra friendly and I even got a bread pudding to go, which was phenomenal with the sauce and the berries this is a must stop when you are in Baltimore hands-down the new best place for crabs in my opinion.
Chrissy M — Google review
Service was incredible. The food was mostly great -- the crab pretzel was my favorite. The shrimp Mac and cheese and the crab grilled cheese were a little on the dry side, and I thought the cream of crab soup was a little bland, but everything else was delicious and we left stuffed and happy.
Rachel — Google review
One of the best seafood restaurants on the water. When you visit you will receive great food and customer service. They have a bonus which I love and that is sitting on the pier. My last visit some patrons pulled up on jet skis for lunch. I love to see people making the best of life and these gentlemen did it well. If you never tried a crab pretzel, I would recommend that you try it (preferably 2 or more people). It is huge and a Baltimore thing.

Great place to go with a few people. We (4) sat at high bar table which is first available no wait. Live music! The large crabs were meaty enough. Plenty of old bay on the crabs and salty. Loved the steamed shrimp, deviled eggs and chopped salad. I would definitely go back. Be warned parking is limited directly at the place; we did valet! There are a variety seating options but once full the wait can be long.
Kim C — Google review
I’ve been here twice before going to a concert at CFG arena. Amazing food and excellent service. Live music both times I’ve gone and it creates a nice experience. Also there is a second parking lot and a shuttle bus that takes you to the restaurant! 10/10 will return again!

My wife and I had lunch at Nick’s Fish House on the Bay. Loved the atmosphere — right on the water with a relaxed, casual vibe that makes you feel like you’re on vacation, even if you’re just out for lunch or dinner. Everything came out hot and fresh, the staff could have been a little more attentive we waited on condiments like ketchup pepper extra plates and cocktail sauce I ordered the fried oysters, and they were very good, breaded and fried to a golden crisp on the outside. My wife had the crab cakes, they were loaded with lump crab meat, very lightly seasoned. We also enjoyed a couple of drinks by the water and enjoyed the view. If you love authentic seafood, this place is absolutely worth the visit. We’ll definitely be back!
Steve D — Google review
The waiter was great however they didn't bring old bay seasoning after asking. The crab pretzel as an appetizer was great. The fresh catch fish (Salmon) was incredibly buttery and not that great. The original crab cake was good/okay but the combination tastes like a filet-o-fish and the fried oysters were the expected fries oysters. Overall not a bad place but not as good as expected. It is also a very expensive place.

This place is a Gem. I have always gone to B-more from crabs for more than 20 years from philly. I wish I discovered this place a long time ago. The atmosphere is awesome... The staff is great and attentive. Serving some of the best crabs and seafood. Definitely a must try.

Mama's On the Half Shell is a popular tavern in Baltimore that has been serving up top-notch seafood since 2003. Whether you're looking for a casual Sunday football spot or a place to celebrate special occasions, this eatery has got you covered. The menu features an array of seafood options, including a delectable seafood omelet for brunch. Even furry friends are welcome on the outdoor patio, where they can enjoy belly rubs and water bowls.
So my kids and I were starved after a day of appointments, shopping and a barber appointment. We decided to stop by Mama’s On The Half Shell since it was on the way home. We were greeted by Gavin and seated immediately. Gavin waited on us and was very professional and friendly. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back, thank you!

This place with a lot of fun. The food was delicious and all the people were nice. Parking was easy and the food came out quick enough. The only problem we had was we asked for an appetizer two times and it was forgotten both times, they were busy though so it's not a big deal but something to note.
George B — Google review
Mama's on the Half Shell is a cozy seafood restaurant. It is really nice to visit this restaurant in the fall and winter because of their fireplace. They also have great daily deals and seasonal drinks. We ordered salad, calamari, seafood and crab soup. The staff was very attentive until it got crowded. The prices were a little high for sandwiches but sufficient for entrees. Overall, I would go back to check out the deals and order another salad. I would recommend anyone that is looking for cozy spot with nice tunes to go here.

The food was amazing especially the Rockefeller oysters! I had one order and couldn’t resist so ordered another. The crab cakes were impeccable too! Every bite tasted so fresh! The Mac n cheese pairing was perfect! Of course the raw oysters were great!

Our final night in Baltimore was one we’ll never forget, thanks to the unforgettable experience we had at Mama’s on the Half Shell. This wasn’t just a meal—it was a celebration of flavor, warmth, and world-class hospitality. Let’s start with the food, because wow. Every single dish that came from that kitchen was divine. The crab egg rolls are an absolute must—crispy, generous, and bursting with Maryland’s best. The half-pound steamed shrimp? Perfectly seasoned and plump. The Brussels sprouts were charred and caramelized to perfection. Our crab-topped salad was fresh and flavorful, and the lamb chops—oh, the lamb chops—were infused with rosemary so deeply, it was as if they had been marinated for hours in a garden of flavor. And then came the Maryland rockfish, flaky and bold, honoring the region’s seafood legacy. Order any of the soups!!! The cocktails were on point. The Manhattan was rich, balanced, and expertly crafted—no shortcuts here. And just when we thought we couldn’t eat another bite, we made room for dessert—because at Mama’s, you make room. The bread pudding was soul-soothing, and the cheesecake was luscious and light, the perfect ending to a spectacular meal. Now for the service, which truly made the evening shine. Brian and Michael were nothing short of phenomenal. Their energy, recommendations, timing, and genuine care for our table struck the perfect balance—never intrusive, always attentive. And then there was Mauricio, the manager (we hope we’ve got his name right!), who quietly brought dishes to our table with such warmth and grace that we didn’t even realize at first he was part of leadership. When we began chatting—as we tend to do—he humbly shared that he was indeed the manager, and later returned to check in on us before leaving. He even sent over dessert to close out our evening. It was that kind of night—every detail handled with care and love. This was hands down the best meal we had in Baltimore and we had a lot of meals - and one of the best meals we’ve ever had, period. Every dollar we spent felt more than worth it. If you’re visiting Baltimore and want to experience something special, Mama’s on the Half Shell is it. No question.

Mamas on the Half Shell absolutely delivered! The Oyster Rockefeller and Maryland Crab Soup were outstanding, packed with flavor and freshness. The Fish & Chips were perfectly crispy, the Sriracha Brussels sprouts had just the right kick, and the Rockfish topped with Crab Imperial was simply amazing. On top of the great food, our server John was phenomenal! Hands down the best server I’ve had in ages. Friendly, attentive, and on point with everything. He made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

Gertrude's is a sophisticated restaurant located within the Baltimore Museum of Art, offering New American cuisine with a local twist. The restaurant, owned by chef John Shields, is known for its locally sourced farm-fresh food that pays homage to the region's culinary traditions. With a scenic backdrop of the museum's sculpture garden, Gertrude's provides an elegant setting to savor regional specialties like Chincoteague Single-Fry Oysters and house-made soda flavors.
Location, atmosphere, seating, service, and the menu! Gertrude's been hiding out at the Baltimore Museum of Art for some time now. I discovered Gertrude's while attending a candlelight concert honoring Lauren Hill at the BMA. The food and drinks were flavorful and delicious. They offer a variety of fine surf and turf items and some house specials on the drink menu. Their not too pricey pricey. The candlelit atmosphere gave it a cozy and classy feel. You can dine inside or outside under the stars while gazing at the beautiful garden fountain. Gertrude's dining experience made our date night truly one remember for years to come.
Qenaan C — Google review
I really wanted to give Gertrude's a higher review. It is a nice clean sit-down restaurant, there is just nothing special or extra about it. Gertrude's is very conservative, from the coffee to food and the dining room. The food was nice, but it lacked any type of flavor or seasoning, which is good if you don't like a lot of seasoning or extra flavoring. It's definitely convenient being in the Baltimore Museum of Art.
Just V — Google review
My first dining experience at Gertrude’s after the Candlelight Concerts featuring the Best of Bridgerton on Strings. When you see the white linen tablecloth at a restaurant, you expect a fine dining experience. Gertrude’s didn't disappoint with the menu options, libations, service, and ambiance.
Eugenia H — Google review
Gertrude’s atmosphere is truly a gem from its stunning outdoor seating and sculpture garden and proximity to the museum. I had lunch at the bar and only had oysters and a few cocktails.
Ansell W — Google review
Perfectly fine place to grab a bite whether you’re at the museum for a visit or wish to make a special event if it as a stand-alone restaurant. The martini I had was marvelous but the rest of the food was unmemorable. A crab cake that was good but surrounded by two tasteless sides: potato pieces that were far too large and some greens. The views of the sculpture garden when sitting outside are very lovely but you won’t walk away talking about the food: for better or worse.
Jakob P — Google review
Fine dining at a museum. What more could you ask for? The wait staff is very nice and the food is even better. They will customize any meal to your desire. The eggs Benedict and crab cakes are what you should go for if you’re hungry. Worth it!

I have lived in Maryland my whole life and I've never visited Gertrude's before. Gertrude's is a lovely restaurant on the 1st floor of the Baltimore Museum of Art. We only had appetizers and drinks while there. Everything was great, from the food to the drinks to the service. I especially enjoyed my calamari and my second drink which was some kind of sangria. They also provided this type of rosemary bread and cornbread free for the table. I am not much of a cornbread eater but I loved loved the bread. Oh the hush puppies were really good too and they served them with apple butter. Yummy!

Nice place with decent service. Obviously a bit loud, but not awful - especially for a bar in Fells Point. Friendly service, just a little slow, but a lot of Baltimore charm. Pictured is the crabcake sandwich. A bit too wet for my liking, but it was fresh and the sweet potato fries were good as well. If there were more seats outside, we would've sat outside - very nice views of Harbor East and the Sagamore.

I ended up coming here for brunch after some of the more popular places had a 25+ min wait. The positives were the wait staff were absolutely amazing. They were so considerate of my dog and made sure to give him lots of love. We got the crab dip, pulled pork waffle and tuna wrap. The crab dip was actually great, and might have been one of the best ones we’ve had during our trip. The pulled pork waffle was a little sweet.

Delicious! We stopped here unexpectedly (the restaurant we were headed too could not rally to open on time) and we were quite happy. The gumbo was fabulous. Fantastic experience! Dunno what they put in those “crab cakes,” but they taste and feel like the real thing!! The collard greens and candied yams were on point too. And the sauces? Both the tartar sauce and mustard dip were so good I wanted them in a cup so I could just chug it. Highly recommend!

Second meal experience with The Land of Kush while visiting Baltimore from Orlando for the Baltimore Women's Classic 5K. Had Uber Eats two days before (Vegan Crabcakes, Live Kale Salad, Buffalo Nuggets, and that was good tasting food). First time in-person today at the restaurant. Music playlist of 80s, 90s, and 2000s R&B in the background feels good in all the best ways. Employees are cool, some...what friendly with their greetings and interactions. Yo, I get it...every day ain't the best day. But smiles do go a long way. Especially in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Got the daily special, one entree and two sides. I picked the Vegan Ribs, Smoked Collard Greens and Mac and Cheese with a lemonade. The ribs today were more like BBQ chikun pieces, not a formed and shaped Vegan rib with sauce. So if you're thinking that way, think instead multiple chikun pieces in a sweet and flavor BBQ sauce with potatoes, red bell pepper, carrots and onions mixed into the sauce. Good but not ribs in the physical way you could be expecting and I was anticipating. Smoked Greens were delish and perfect. Mac and Cheese was okay. Vegan cheese sauce was lightly sweet, possibly from the plant based milk that's used? That was unexpected. Flavor overall wasn't impactful for me. Elbow macaroni was cooked well though. I ordered a third side, Baked Yams. They were exceptional and did everything that needed to be done to even out this well made meal and balance things. Very good vegan food here. Thank you for the taste and the vibes of Baltimore that you gave this Georgia + Florida girl.

I love to make vegan macaroni and cheese.. I've been working on my recipe for a couple of years now. This macaroni and cheese is good don't get me wrong, but it's not the prettiest to look at. Sweet lady behind the counter gave me some curried gravy to put on it. Sounded strange but it really enhanced the flavor of the macaroni. I would definitely go back again for it. I got the greens they were pretty good. The potato salad... meh.

Goldberg's New York Bagels and Coffee is a daytime bakery in Baltimore, offering NYC-style kosher bagels and classic Jewish fare. The bakery sources its dough from a New Jersey bagel maker with a recipe dating back to Polish immigrants from the early 1900s. Despite the busy atmosphere, customers praise the quick service and delicious offerings, including sesame bagels with cream cheese and Black Russian bagels with whitefish.
Fresh, authentic New York–style bagels with a perfect chew, paired with rich coffee that starts the day right. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. A great spot for breakfast or a casual coffee break—highly recommended!

Went to check out their bagels. I’ve only picked up catering platters for work but never have tried myself. (I will say they helped me out tremendously with a last minute kosher platter.) it was very busy in there and it was a bit confusing on where to order. Found a table and our bagels came out very quickly! We tried a sesame flat, sesame bagel with cream cheese and a Black Russian bagel with whitefish. To say my boyfriend was a happy guy is an understatement. He thoroughly enjoyed the bagels and whitefish. We also picked up some rugelachs. The only negative for me was it was a bit messy, especially the bathroom. But in their defense, there was a steady stream of people coming through. We will go back again soon!
Becky — Google review
Stopped here for breakfast on a drive through Baltimore. Locals seem to really like this place, but for a visitor it was very confusing. There are 5 points of ordering across 3 counters. Each one was inconsistently staffed even during the half hour we were there. It was not clear which line to stand in or who to order from, and they did not have a menu posted. Some items were brought to the table, while others were left at the counter for us to pick up. The food itself was good. The shakshouka was well-cooked and the bagel was good quality. The coffee was terrible. I wouldn't go here again, unless it was just to get bagels and walk out.

I went for the first time, and these were some of the worst bagels I've ever had. I don't know if it was an off day or if they are always like this, but I definitely don't get the hype. Bagels were hard, flat, misshapen (more hole than dough), and did not look like any of the pictures

After hearing about this place often via word of mouth and in social media, I finally got the opportunity to stop by this place for breakfast. Needless to say - they didn’t disappoint. Super friendly staff, amazing food and cozy atmosphere. Make this your go to for an authentic NY bagel experience!

Went here as it was recommended as one of the best bagels in Baltimore. I was yet again disappointed at the quality. It was deeply underwhelming in size, taste, and fluffiness. I tried 2 different types and they were both egh. Even mediocre bagels in NY/NJ area are leaps and bounds better. Really can’t understand why finding a decent bagel is impossible here.
Siobhan D — Google review
I’ve had two recent visits here, and unfortunately, both times I ran into issues with food quality—specifically spoilage. While the bagels are consistently tasty and fresh, the salads, cream cheese, and spreads have been a letdown. They either tasted off or didn’t seem properly stored. It feels like there’s a lack of attention when it comes to managing the freshness of the ingredients, which really affects the overall experience. I’m hoping this is just a rough patch, but management seems to be off their game lately. I’d love to see things tighten up because this place has real potential when everything’s on point.

The atmosphere is calm, and the service is quick—perfect for a relaxed meal. If you’re feeling extra hungry, you can customize your order by adding ingredients like eggs or additional meats. Just note that, for now, only fried egg is available as an extra. The good thing is that any item on the menu can be upgraded to suit your taste.

Great location, great view, and great seating options. Usually a short line to get your order in, but the staff are quick fast and will bring your order to you out quickly. Variety of options for drinks from coffee to hot chocolate with all tasting great. Drinks are a bit pricey, but it’s well worth the premium over cheap machine made drip coffee. If you’re looking for a place to go on a nice weekend in Baltimore just to sit down and get some work in, this is a great choice.

I had a lovely breakfast at Pitango cafe. Ashley who served me she was extremely kind and friendly. I had a toasted focaccia rustico, fresh orange juice, cappuccino & almond croissant. Food was so fresh delicious and well presented. I’m so happy to visited this place. If you want quality food u must go place!

5/5 highly recommend this cafe. I got a croissant (so so good!!) and an iced matcha latte with vanilla bean syrup and oat milk. It hit the spot. Service was great. Very chill vibes. Would eat here again!

Amazing, fresh baked goods and food! Love their almond croissant and lattes. All the focaccia / bread on the sandwiches is delicious. Friendly service and great atmosphere, right on the harbor!

Pitango is the best bakery in all of Fells Point. The food is incredibly fresh and well made. They also have stellar beverage options. My wife loved their latte and I thoroughly enjoyed the Sipping Chocolate. The sandwiches are on beautiful homemade bread and they use really high-quality ingredients for reasonable prices. For alcohol, they have a small selection of craft beer and cocktail cans as well as some bottles of wine for sale. However, in the evening they partner with their neighbor business, V-No Wine Shop, to sell some of their high-quality wines. They even will pair them with Pitango's charcuterie boards! The views are also fantastic. They have plenty of seating inside, but the small outside seating is what makes it. you are sitting right next to the harbor and get to enjoy the views of Fells Point. Whether you are coming in the morning, afternoon, or evening, this is a great option for food, drink or relaxation.

Ordered Latte with extra sweetness, Macha latte, Roasted beef. And they were all great. Coffee itself is very reasonably priced. Also, crossing was exactly how I wanted. Also, employees were so patient and kind cuz it took us some time to decide what we wanted. If you are in Baltimore, this is a must-visit place. Will be coming back.

Café Poupon is a charming French-inspired café with two locations in Baltimore. The downtown location offers a small but fantastic breakfast and lunch menu, along with an array of delectable pastries, cakes, and sandwiches. This cozy spot also serves as a full bakery that takes orders for weddings and events. The café's extravagant and unique cakes are meticulously crafted, while the sweet treats are baked to perfection.
I absolutely LOVE the pastries here! I pick up several to share with friends and neighbors frequently– everyone is so excited when they see Cafe Poupon's familiar label on the bag/boxes. The croissants and their pasty dough are perfectly buttery, not too sweet, and flaky/crispy (I think it's my favorite in the city so far). The staff is always very sweet and works hard. The interior of the shop is cozy. The store might be easy to accidentally walk past, as it's a narrow storefront at 225 N Charles St, but it's worth peeking inside! there is limited indoor and outdoor seating in the cafe and patio, respectively, but if you want to bring a book you're able to order and relax for a little you should be able to find space.

I've been here a couple of times and it's definitely a pleasant place to grab a coffee or dessert and can be romantic if you're a Francophile. The people working there were always very friendly and would offer explanations or recommendations when needed. There are quite a few dessert and food options, but almost all of them are small portions (by American standards) which I suppose is par for the course. Despite the portion served, most everything I've tried has been flavorful and a delight to eat. My only criticism, and it's purely subjective, is there aren't many breakfast options that don't involve eggs and some kind of meat. To clarify, I mean this place appears to serve snack foods in that there aren't actual meals. They have quiches, but they are small. Everything is all prepared and they don't actually serve to order. If you want a quiche or dessert they will heat it or just plate it, then serve it to you. It's probably a good business model but limited to the customers. Also, the jug where you dispense water does so very slow into small glasses. If you're like me and drink a lot of water, then you'll end up going back to refill your glass several times and gets annoying.

Cute cafe. Coffee connoisseurs work the counters and craft the brews and make the pastries...it all tastes good. The menu is in French, so if you're like me and don't know diddly squat about the language, ask someone what is what. They don't exactly smile at you when you walk in, but they're friendly enough. The place has dining inside (masks preferred at time of writing) or a small area outside the side entrance with a few cute tables for people to sit. The bathroom has been "out of order" for the past few weeks (I've been to Cafe Poupon twice recently), so maybe go elsewhere if you need to, you know. Also, a little thing to note: the outdoor area doesn't have a trash can nearby (that I noticed) so you have to go back inside to throw away garbage. Not a big deal obviously, but if you're outside eating/drinking and then want to leave, you have to go back inside the side entrance and walk all the way to the far end of said entrance to find the trash, then walk back out the side entrance. Like I said, a little thing, but kind of inconvenient. The coffee and pastries are decent. Macarons, madeleines, cookies, etc. I've had a cappuccino and a macchiato so far. Not bad. The pastries I've had have all been on the slightly cooled side, as opposed to freshly baked. Overall, I like the place, but personally prefer other nearby cafes. 4/5 stars

Very hype we found a place with a Marocchino in the states. We had one in Europe and have been hunting them ever since lol. Menu had a good variety and the food looked good as well. 12/10 would go again next time we’re in town.

A very cool place to be at. If you're in Baltimore, definitely check out out. The meat lovers quiche was a bit over salted but my boyfriend's quiche lorraine was perfect. I liked their coffee as well. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming.

The spinach quiche was creamy, crunchy and delicious. The soup was scratch made and a grey healthy option. Coffee menu was impressive and the cortado was great. Friendly staff, quick service- all around good experience.

A moment of luxury in a chaotic day. The pastries here are made in-house and regularly brought out while you stare through the displays trying to decide what to indulge in. Might I suggest a perfectly flaky and buttery croissant or pain au chocolate (which has two bars of chocolate through it, as it should)? If you're in a sweeter mood the kouign amann is slightly over sugared but delightfully crunchy and caramelized all the way down, and the Parisian drinking chocolate makes for a spoil-yourself-break from their rich drip illy coffee. Whatever your order, just make sure you take a moment to stay and enjoy it. With an old world feel, fantastic ads from another era, and large shoppe windows to perch next to, this is a place to relax while the mad world continues outside without you.

True Chesapeake is a seafood restaurant located in Whitehall Mill, founded by a team of experienced chefs including Zack Mills and Patrick Hudson from True Chesapeake Oyster Farm. The menu features Chesapeake classics such as spaghetti with middle neck clams, roasted oysters, farmhouse salad with seasonal veggies, crab dip mac and cheese, and rockfish prepared by Chef Mills.
Went there for a dinner date night with the wife as we’re staying away from Atlas restaurant group locations for a while. We’ve been wanting to come here for a while and we were pleasantly surprised. We noticed how busy it was , so we were a little worried that the service was not going to be good. Our server was very busy at first but she rallied through and was amazing for the rest of our stay. I got the oysters and they were the biggest oysters I’ve ever had and they were tasty. Loved the assortment of condiments that came with them. Food was amazing as I was very happy to see snakehead on the menu. I would love to see them cook a fried version of this dish. Prices were really good for the quality of food and the ambiance was amazing. We will definitely be back with our friends.

We had a great time here with friends for a Saturday early happy hour. The happy hour menu is a steal! The oysters were fantastic and the cocktails were amazing. I would totally go for happy hour again. I do love their dinner menu however the portion is slightly on the less side. You have to order a bunch which makes the bill kinda high, also on top of that they automatically charge 20% plus the kitchen fee 2%. The food quality was no doubt tho. Everything we ordered was fantastic, the balance of flavor and richness was just spot on. I enjoyed everything very much! They serve beer bread as well, which was also my favorite kind of bread. Overall it was such a great restaurant. I highly recommend it for special occasions due to the portion and the price, or just simply go for happy hour only.

I usually know a place is great when I'm already thinking about the return trip! The oysters were phenomenal. First time I tried Snakehead, which I'd recommend. The drinks were impressive. Service could've been better but maybe it was an off night. You should be able to find parking. Next time have to get the chicken sandwich that everyone seemed to be buying!

We celebrated my aunt’s birthday at True Chesapeake and had an excellent experience despite the restaurant being short-staffed. We started at the bar for happy hour with fresh, house-made margaritas and top-tier oysters—especially delicious with the bourbon hot sauce and watermelon mignonette. For dinner, our waitress recommended the Northside, a refreshing NA mojito-style drink, alongside seared scallops (gluten-free, prepared with care to avoid cross-contamination) and the blue crab & bone marrow dip, which my aunt loved. Dessert was a rich peanut butter, chocolate, and marshmallow creation—wonderful but very sweet. Great service, thoughtful recommendations, and fantastic seafood will have me back before summer ends. Heads up, if you’re driving and you think you’re lost, keep driving!

All the oysters we tried were good from the raw to roasted. Steak tartare was a little chunky but not bad. Blue crab and marrow dip was delicious. Service was great but the atmosphere became loud. Restaurant tipped themselves even though we only had 4 people in our party and the kitchen also took a 2%. No one informed us of that. I would prefer to tip ourselves instead of force tipping.

Great atmosphere! Pat was our bartender and he was phenomenal, great recommendations and attentive service even with a bunch of tickets at the bar. Pat the owner was great too, great conversation with both of them. Delicious food, oysters, steak tartare and blue crab and bone marrow were great. Could not recommend the place enough! Brown Sugar Bourbon ice cream is out of this world.

True Chesapeake Oyster is an absolute vibe! From start to finish, our experience was incredible. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, the oysters fresh, briny, and local! Every dish we tried—from the scallops to the ribeye and duck confit—was unforgettable. The food quality is insane, and you can truly taste the passion behind every bite. The service was top notch—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. A special highlight was when the chef personally came to our table to share the rich history of the building. It added such a meaningful touch to an already perfect evening. We ended on a high note with a dessert that blew us away. Can’t wait to return

Traffic was terrible leaving Baltimore, so I found this place to hunker down until the roads became tolerable. It's a little difficult to find the door as it's inside a rather non-descript, industrial building. Service was fast (if not curt), but the star of the show is the Happy Hour menu. 2 dollar oysters and 6 dollar old fashioneds! They feature the shucker prominently at the bar, making quick work of the shells in front of him. They have a menu beyond HH that ranges from 15 - 80 dollars, with Oysters from around the area and things like Crab Mac and Cheese. I got here when they opened at 5 but it doesn't seem to get terribly crowded on a Tuesday evening. Nice spot, I'll be back soon.

Papi Cuisine, located in Federal Hill, is a laid-back restaurant known for its diverse menu that includes familiar dishes like chicken wings and burgers. The owner and award-winning chef, Alex Perez, draws inspiration from his Dominican and African American heritage to create an Afro-Latin menu filled with flavorful seafood options such as stuffed lobster, crab eggrolls, seafood alfredo, and honey glazed salmon. The restaurant also offers Caribbean-inspired cocktails served in unique ways.
My friend and I tried Papi Cuisine over the weekend and they didn’t disappoint. We made a reservation and we were seated right when we got there. I ordered the crab cake fries and colossal fried shrimp. My friend had the crab cake egg rolls and fried lobster mac and cheese. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes and our waiter was very attentive and nice. The crab cake fries came with a huge crab cake. It was so GOOD, and the sauce they put on it was amazing, the shrimp was fried lightly and very tasty, then crab cake egg rolls were great too. Update: I’ve drove here just for the crab cake egg rolls.
Monique — Google review
A Mixed Experience at Papi’s New Location As a long-time supporter of Papi, I was excited to visit their new location at Proper Cuisine’s sister property. While the atmosphere and service were absolutely top-notch (10/10 for both!), the food didn’t quite meet the high expectations I’ve had over the years. The Highlights: Atmosphere & Service: Both were fantastic. The space is vibrant and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience overall. The Disappointments: Jerk Lamb Chops: Unfortunately, the lamb chops were a letdown. The portion size was much smaller than I remember, and the flavor just didn’t hit the mark like it used to. Kale: The kale was overly salty, which overshadowed its potential to be a flavorful side dish Crab Fries: My husband’s crab fries were missing the “fixings” that were promised on the menu, which was a bit disappointing. While they were still edible, they didn’t have the full flavor profile I was expecting. The Wins: Honey Brussels Sprouts: On the bright side, the honey Brussels sprouts were on point and exactly what I was hoping for—crispy, sweet, and delicious. Other Notes: Parking: Parking can be a bit tricky, as it’s limited in the area. There is street parking available, as well as a nearby garage, but be prepared for potentially having to circle a bit for a spot. While I’ve enjoyed these dishes for many years, today’s experience left me uncertain about returning anytime soon. I’ll likely give it another try, but I hope the kitchen finds its rhythm with these classic favorites.
DurShawn R — Google review
Let me start by saying this place is a bit misleading — the name is actually Proper Cuisine, not Papis Cuisine, and the quality definitely doesn’t live up to the original name’s reputation. I went for dinner over the weekend, and the whole experience was underwhelming. The restaurant was pretty empty, and the vibe was off — the music sounded like a CD stuck on repeat. There only seemed to be one waiter working, which showed in how slow everything was. We arrived around 8:15 p.m., and food didn’t start coming out until after 9:15. Dishes came out one at a time, which was strange, especially since my friend and I ordered the same thing — our plates arrived about 25 minutes apart. They also ran out of Caesar salad. Now for the food: • Mac and Cheese: 0/10 — completely undercooked. The cheese wasn’t melted, and it literally tasted unfinished. • Brussels Sprouts: 0/10 — no flavor at all. • Salmon Bites: 6/10 — these were actually decent, probably the best thing we ordered. • Crab Cake Egg Rolls: The crab itself was good, but the egg rolls were overcooked, tiny, and definitely not worth the $12 price tag. Honey old bay wings, 5/10 just taste like wings no old bay flavor The drinks were just okay — nothing special, and after the meal we barely wanted to finish them. Honestly, by the end, we just wanted to leave. Overall, between the slow service, uneven pacing, and low-quality food, I wouldn’t recommend this spot. It’s a shame because the sister brand, Proper Cuisine, clearly isn’t delivering the same standard anymore. Definitely won’t be back.

Went here to celebrate my our 18th wedding anniversary. It was clean, the staff was nice. They played 90s/2000s R&B which was right up my alley. I had the Branzino with slow cooked kale and mash potatoes which I would recommend. I am not a gin or martini girl but the Passion Fruit Pleaser was surprisingly good. Which they dimmed the light a bit to set the evening atmosphere. Overall, I was pleased with my experience.

Reservations were made so there wasn’t a wait time. Friendly greeting. There was a little bit of a wait for the food to arrive. The drink was watered down. I ordered the lamb chops. It was ok . Not as tender as it should have been. Food was just ok . Service was good. Atmosphere was meh. Tables were too close to other guest. I would go back again if I was in the area because the service was decent and it may have been an off day, i would try something other than the lamb chops next time

Atmosphere is really nice but the service is slow and the food is only good when eating there. DONNOT ORDER TO GO!!! They do not cook your food up to par. Goes from 5 star to 3 star food smh I ordered crab cake egg rolls twice both times they were cooked like absolute trash. Then the Brussels I ordered were so hard I couldn’t eat them smh this place has not been great lately. I used to LOVE this restaurant Papis but it’s not how it used to be

Came here after a graduation and was actually surprised. Customer service was good, food came out fast, and the atmosphere was pretty good. However, seating is a little tight in some areas. Prices could be a bit better too. I ordered the following: Jerk lamb chops: 10/10 cooked perfectly. Nice char. Sauce was very good. Mac and cheese: 8.5/10 pretty good in regards to a restaurant. Creamed spinach: 6/10 good flavor but not as thick as I’m used to. It was more like the spinach was drowning and Cajun cream. I couldn’t get over the texture. Happy hour Hennessy drink: 7/10 good but a little too sweet for my palette Old fashioned: 7/10

Took server a little while to get to us but after on top of things and orders came quick. 20% gratuity added to bill automatically, which the server didn't mention and I gave her a tip not knowing. Had to ask for my receipt. Food is delicious , niece stated the lobster was a little chewy. Jerk Lamb lollipops are ALL that! It's open so the kitchen is right there and can be a little loud. Possibly one of the best vanilla lattes Ive had! Great service, no wait (Tuesday, brunch time), huge bacon/egg/cheese biscuit! Tried the cinnamon roll and coffee cake as well - both were great. After brunch we looked at the bakery items and checked out the little shopping area off to the side which had great (fun) items to purchase. Loved the ambiance with the walls of windows right on the corner.

The food was amazing. I had very good service. Until I got the belt. Waitress was happy to remove my coffee off the bill because they ran out of drip coffee and I was switching to Cafe Ole. My first time visiting and she offered a complimentary donut. When the bill came and I didn't look at it because they wasn't provided a physical copy. I paid too much money and now realize I should have looked at the itemized bill. I will say the food was outstanding. The physical appearance of the place is great. The bread was amazing. Just one slate error on the bill.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an absolutely delightful experience at Kneads Bakeshop & Café in Baltimore! From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. Their strawberry cheesecake was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever tasted—perfectly creamy, with just the right balance of sweet berries and a buttery graham-cracker crust that practically melted in my mouth. To accompany the cheesecake, I ordered a cappuccino, and it was outstanding. The espresso was rich and smooth, topped with a velvety layer of foam that held its shape beautifully. Every sip was warm, comforting, and the ideal complement to my dessert. Overall, Kneads Bakeshop & Café exceeded all my expectations. Excellent service, inviting ambiance, and top-notch treats—this place is a true gem in Baltimore. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Stopped in during a brief visit to the inner harbor of Baltimore. Picked up a sweet potato whoppie pie to have later. It was DELICIOUS but a little on the pricey side. The cashier who helped me October 19th at 6:30pm was so helpful and aided my quest to collect stickers from my travels.

Stopped by Kneads for breakfast and overall had a pretty good experience! The service was genuinely lovely, friendly, attentive, and warm, which really made the visit feel special. I didn’t end up eating much. I wasn’t as hungry as I thought, but the food I did try was really good. The standout for me was definitely the almond croissant: flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. My brother ordered the steak, egg, and cheese on a sesame bagel with sautéed onions, and honestly, I ended up eating more of his food than mine, it was that good! The vibe was laid-back and welcoming. The service was one of the highlights: friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The coffee was decent, though I’ll admit I’m a bit spoiled by my espresso machine at home, so my standards are pretty high. All in all, a lovely spot for breakfast. I’d definitely come back. Hopefully with more of an appetite next time!

Nice little place, great coffee and staff is friendly and helpful. Baked goods.. well, we’ve had better. The brownie was hard and crumbly, the cinnamon bun- though huge, was a bit dry. Bagel sandwiches were good but the puff pastry and filling wasn’t particularly what was expected. I think we’ll give it another go to try the donuts or cupcakes, we’ve heard great things about those. Otherwise, comfortable roomy sitting/dining area with a fun atmosphere.

Also, it's not just for desserts---they have an impressive menu of delicious-looking sandwiches etc. as well. Pasta shop
G & M Restaurant is a casual eatery that has gained fame for its generously sized crab cakes, along with a menu featuring seafood, steak, and pasta. The restaurant's jumbo lump crab cakes are particularly praised by Chef Chris Santos' executive assistant, Amy Landsman, who swears by their perfection and lack of breadcrumbs. The staff at G & M are known for going above and beyond to create a memorable dining experience for their guests.
We had an incredible experience at G & M! We started with a half dozen oysters, and they were absolutely fantastic — fresh, briny, and perfectly chilled. The seared scallops were amazing, cooked to perfection with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The risotto was honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time — creamy, flavorful, and something I couldn’t get enough of. The asparagus was cooked perfectly, adding a great balance to the plate. We also tried the single crab cake, and wow… it was huge — about the size of a baseball! The flavor was off the charts, packed with sweet jumbo lump crab meat and perfectly seasoned. The broccoli on the side was slightly undercooked, but honestly, the crab cake stole the show, so it hardly mattered. Our server was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. As a craft beer fan, I was also happy to see they had a few solid choices on tap, which paired really well with the seafood. Overall, G & M delivered a top-notch dining experience. Amazing food, excellent service, and great drinks — I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in the area!

We were on our way home from an amazing vacation. My husband wanted to stop and get food in Baltimore since some of the best food in Maryland is found in Baltimore. We some how decided on G&M and I am VERY happy we did. Honestly I was a little skeptical due to the decor BUT I was very mistaken. The service was amazing, our waitress Jamie was so sweet and she was on top of her game! My seafood pasta came out with a hair in it and she immediately apologized and had the staff remake it. It was SOOO delicious! My husband is a huge risotto fan so we he saw it on the menu he had to try it and he said it reminded him of his first bowl of risotto! We also ordered calamari and crab dip which were both delicious! I would only say that I think the crab dip would be better on a tortilla chip or something lighter than bread and the calamari would be delicious with a second lighter sauce option. Also the portions were perfect! I was full leaving and had some for lunch the next day! We definitely look forward to coming back and giving the crab cakes a try!

Overall solid choice. There’s free parking, friendly staff, and a nice environment. The food is good but may be considered by some as slightly pricey, but still somewhat reasonable. My wife got the seafood platter, which she enjoyed; my son the baked crab imperial, which he definitely enjoyed. As for me, I had a prime rib sandwich, which was so so. But to be fair, they are better with seafood so I didn’t have high expectations. We finished up with desserts, which were decent.

The crab cakes are moist and tasty! We ordered the avocado salad, delicious! Service was good, food arrived extremely fast, our waitress could have been a little more attentive. My husband and I split our items and no one returned to give him a dinner plate. Other than that, I’d definitely recommend.

Most people come here to try the crabcake. The crabcake are decent. The food was above average overall. The desserts are phenomenal. Highly recommend. The restaurant have their own bakery, and the desserts are very affordable. Nice bar too.

They sure know how to serve MD crab! We had the crab bisque (cream of crab) and the crab cakes. Lumps, chunks, so many beautiful white, large pieces of sweet crab!! Just enough filler in the crabcakes to hold them together, the rest was all crab! Great flavors! My daughter had the shrimp & chicken fettuccine Alfredo, it was absolutely perfect! The sauce was so good! The meat and broccoli were plentiful! Shrimp were cleaned and cooked well. Chicken was tender and delicious. In addition to the entrees we had a couple of drinks each and an app; our bill was only $150! Our calamari app was very good and it was a large quantity. We were happy to have it served with traditional marinara. Our service was on point. The place was absolutely hopping. Parking lot was full yet we were greeted and eating almost immediately and checked on repeatedly through our meal. This place is a jewel. It is definitely on our list to return.

Very nice place for a dine-in. It has the best flavor and very well organized. It was very busy place. The best time to get there without waiting is between 4:30 and 5 pm. We ordered seafood dish, crab cake platter and cream of crab soup. Super delicious. I recommend crab cake platter.

Romano's Bar & Grill is a vibrant restaurant in Glen Burnie, offering a diverse Italian-American menu with a focus on seafood. The lively bar scene adds to the colorful atmosphere of the eatery. While some patrons recommend trying other local spots for seafood like G&M's and Rusty Scupper, Romano's is praised for its generous crabcakes. Despite some mixed reviews about service speed and pricing, many guests have enjoyed their meals, particularly highlighting dishes like chicken with exceptional sauce.
6 STARS if i could. Food was phenomenal. I got single crab cake. Friend got prime rib and was awesome. And other friends got stuffed salmon. We all have leftovers. Portions were enormous. Service was top notch.

Very nice restaurant! A bar along with indoor seating. Wide variety of dishes in the menu. Crab cake was great! Real crab and no fillers! Didn’t do the Happy Hour yet, but it looks inviting.

This crab cake is sooooo good 👍 😋. You've got to try it. The flavor is definitely making me put this crabcake well above Pappa's. It's very meaty. Delicious 100%. I'm so glad my coworker told me about this place. The meal comes with two sides, but I eat my foods separately. The buttered corn and mashed potatoes were very good as well

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Attended a meeting in their conference room and the staff was the perfect balance between attentive and discreet so as not to distract from the presentation. I had the NY Strip and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, along with fries and the vegetable of the day for my sides and everything was delicious. The person next to me ordered the salmon and not only were they just as pleased with it but the size of their salmon was amazing, pictured below with tomato for scale.

Today I ordered chicken parmigiana to carry out, and when I got home and tried the chicken, it was extremely hard, as if it were just chicken nerves, horrible, flavorless, and the pasta was also flavorless. I can say only the salad was good.

Stopped by this restaurant because it is pretty close to the BWI airport. SO GLAD WE DID! Had the crab cocktail appetizer. Huge chunks of cold crab served with drawn butter. So delicious. Had the shrimp stuffed crab as my entree. It was basically crab cakes over shrimp. Seriously, the best I ever had. I get why they ship these crab cakes throughout the US. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Cakes by Cynthia's offers a variety of delightful cupcakes, including Oreo, Strawberry, Turtle, Snickerdoodle, and Apple Pie flavors. Customers have praised the tender and fluffy texture of the cakes and appreciated the whipped filling in some varieties. Despite a slight dislike for the frosting from one reviewer, others have raved about the freshness of custom cakes even days after pickup.
I can not find anything bad to say. They aren’t too sweet. They’re soft and fluffy but still has some density. The flavor is amazing. Presentation. I will be back.

Went to Cynthia‘s cake in April talk to her about a royal blue and gold cake to be made to feed 150 people it cost me 1500 dollars and some cupcakes, 24 12 vanilla and 12 chocolate for 120 she said she can do it I told her I hate plan cake I went back in July I put down 1100 to start my daughter was telling her what she wanted tear by tear what is supposed to be for tears one vanilla one chocolate, one strawberry and one snickerdoodle and the design she gave my daughter her number to send pictures after we talked she did she told us she will sketch out the design before she did it and will send it to us. The party was for September 14. at 7pm at night she was to deliver it she sent us a computer design that was not like we talked about so my daughter sends back a message with her own sketch with the pictures the bow was supposed to be exactly like her dress. Jules was supposed to be royal blue and gold and she kept saying white so I wrote back no white royal blue and gold she responded. OK no worries. Will be the cake of her dreams. So on Saturday the 14 she came to drop off the cake we only had a hour to set up it was crazy she asked me where to put the cake our tables was not built yet so her and my dessert lady I hired was very nice and stayed a little bit to set up I had to leave for a horse and carriage for my daughter I got back she was gone cake was nothing like we talked about wrong design wrong colors she also said she did five tears for me instead of four and I was surprised but that was a lie the two top tears were made out of foam she glued a sticker on of a D with fondant to cover the two tears with styrofoam she did not put the bling on the cake that we talked about or the gold that we talked about. She also looked like she threw the cake together last minute the fondant was cracked, and the cake was leaning even told my other lady I hired that the cake was leaning my daughter hated this cake. Worst cake I have ever ordered then I was lied to about five tears, which I was not mad about. She didn’t even do the four tears that we talked about with all of the flavors with the vanilla chocolate, strawberry and snickerdoodle on the top. She did not do my cupcakes the right way 12 of them were supposed to be chocolate. The other 12 was supposed to be vanilla. She mixed all of them together with chocolate, vanilla snickerdoodle and. strawberry then the snickerdoodle was not snickerdoodle. It was spice cake. This cake was not worth $1500 I could’ve made this cake myself but way better she promised me a four tier cake blinged out royal blue and gold and that’s not what I received. I am very upset and I think I deserve half of my money back. Also, everything on the cake was supposed to be edible. The jewelry that she used was pens, so I don’t know what work she actually did. She covered it and fondant that was not neat. The cake was leaning and she penned some jewelry to the cake that was not edible. The fondant is bad enough with being so thick the cake was moist, but the icing in the middle was way too thick to even eat and for the D on the top of the cake, I went off of one of her pictures that she did before on her photo page knowing that she could do it, I even asked should I add flowers but she said it would be too much with all the bling and I got a plain cake I will not order From her ever again, way too much money 1620 for everything to be messed up Biggest day of my daughters life and she knew that I am not the one to leave reviews, but I recommend not going to her I would have gave her no stars. I feel like this was last minute for everything when it should have not been because I came to her in April then came to her in July. I feel like if she has too much on her plate and could not do it. She should’ve said something very nice and I feel bad for writing this review because she helped set up her cake but I think that people should know and I feel like she ripped me off. And I ordered cupcakes from her other then my dessert lady because she was supposed to match the cake worst cake ever

I ordered two cakes from Cynthia. One was my 30th birthday & the second was my 31st. When I got my cake for my 30th bday, it was last minute and this shop accommodated me & even delivered my cake. I was extremely thankful and appreciative. Even better, my cake tasted amazing. Because of that, I returned. Unfortunately, I had the opposite experience. Whoever made my cake at her shop the year before no longer works there. This year, I dealt with the owner, Cynthia. I was polite whenever I spoke to her, but for whatever reason, she was rude, dismissive, and abrasive, as if she didn't want the business. There was misunderstanding about which cake I was paying for because the price she quoted me DOUBLED in one year. All I did was ask, and not in an accusatory way either. She immediately went off trying say that the cake I sent her a picture of wasn't even from last year because that person didn't work there anymore. Once I showed the receipts from me tagging her on ig, and the dates of our text from the previous year, she then went to talk about the market change and so on. Her attitude wasn't necessary and it was extremely off putting. I had already paid my deposit at that point so I didn't want to go back and forth. I got my cake, which was beautiful and went with my party theme so well. But it was not as good as it was the first time. The frosting was good but this cake was dry. Aesthetically, I got what I wanted and it went well. But the cake was not good and the service was not either. I've been sitting on this review because of how she responds to other people but at this point I don't care. My friend wanted a cake for her bday and I told her about my experience with Cynthia and she said she might just give it a chance since the cake is pretty, but after talking to her, she said she got the same bad attitude that I got the first time. I tried to say maybe she is just having a bad day, but her energy has been consistently negative and I really don't get it. Its disappointing when you want to support somebody. Ps (the candles, gold toppers, and bottled are my friend’s additions and did not come from her store) Additional reply since the owner responded: Its crazy to have such a twisted view when you're literally not telling the truth. My first cake was December 2023. I reached back out December 2024 and when I explained that and told you to look at our text thread, you got quiet before coming up with the remark about the market. You claimed I ordered a custom cake the year before and that was the difference in the price. Yet there is no difference in the budget friendly cake on your site for $125 and the cake I ordered in 2023. But I let you have it anyway. Then I decided if you're charging more, might as well get the two tier budget friendly cake. Since you want to die on this hill let me add more screenshots and clarify your statements. The cake IS from the the year prior. There are exactly 12 months between December 2023 and December 2024 (see the ig screenshots where I tagged you sent a warm message, happy with my service and you REPOSTED my story). Now to your comments saying your behavior was in response to mine (which isn't even how a professional providing a service should respond unless being disrespected — which I'd never do): 1) if I had such a pleasant experience the first time and wanted to return, what reason would I have an attitude or be anything besides pleasant with you when I reached back out?? You came off rip disrespectful and I assured you I wasn't trying to be difficult and liked your services in response. 2) if you were “apprehensive” with the two very short phone calls we had where I stayed calm despite your atitude you didn't have to take the order. I find it funny you say that and still did, and I'm suppose to believe you put care into my order after that? I gave you yes ma'am, thank you so much, and everything else even after you essentially called me a liar (and still are) when I had proof. I did nothing to you ma'am. Be blessed.
Kiara — Google review
Really disappointed with the customer service. I called to ask about an online cupcake order and was met with an attitude. I didn’t realize that the website only allows you to order 24 cupcakes or more online, that was my mistake for missing the thin text. But when I called to ask about pickup timing, the woman on the phone snapped at me saying “it’s BOLD on the website.” First of all, it’s not bold. If you want customers to follow your ordering policy, you should make it much clearer. On top of that, she told me that if I wanted a smaller order, I’d have to come into her retail store and buy it in person which is fine, but that should also be communicated better online. A simple fix would be updating the website to automatically decline smaller orders before charging, that would save people time and avoid this kind of confusion. Her attitude was so off-putting, I didn’t even want to go buy in person after that. As a business owner, treating potential customers like that is completely unacceptable.

Mom’s 75th birthday cake and cupcakes were delicious. I found Cakes by Cynthia on IG last minute and she definitely delivered just what I wanted. My birthday is coming up and will be ordering a cake for myself. Thank you so much for the excellent service.

I recently tried a cake from Cakes by Cynthia, and I found the taste to be fairly average. The cake was moist, but it lacked a distinctive flavor that could make it stand out. The frosting was a bit too sweet for my liking, and the overall presentation, while appealing, didn't fully translate into a memorable taste experience.

These cupcakes are so delightful! Each flavor is deliciously made! We bought Strawberry, Turtle, Oreo, Snickerdoodle and Apple Pie cupcakes! My son and daughter craved cupcakes so we left Columbia to get to Cupcakes by Cynthia and we were NOT disappointed. The customer service, selection & price are awesome. Thanks for doing everything right, the first time! My family appreciated your business!

Nestled in the heart of Canton Square, Cafe Dear Leon has been a sensation since its inception. The cafe is renowned for its delectable housemade pastries, including the popular Basque cheesecake and Japanese-style tamago sandwich that caused a frenzy during the pandemic. With an inviting ambiance and friendly staff, this chic eatery offers an array of freshly baked treats such as scones, quiches, and croissants.
Happy 5th birthday to Cafe Dear Leon!! What a wonderful place to have in Baltimore. I don't go often, but every time I have gone it has been consistently amazing. This weekend they had a special croissant filled with raspberry and vanilla cream - it was so good. A perfect balance of flavors, great textures. Definitely an indulgent treat, as there was a lot of cream inside the croissant, I split it with a friend. The ham and cheese croissant was also excellent. My friends loved their blueberry lemon ricotta danish and crap dip bagel. The only slight let down was the filling to bread ratio in the coffee bun- the coffee cream inside was great and we wanted more! My iced latte was also great. I will note that we went on a Saturday morning and 9am and waited until 10:15am or so before getting to the front of the line and ordering. It was a pleasant day and I knew we'd be in for the wait, so I didn't mind. Only 6 customers can be inside of the shop at a time and there's one cash register. There is some seating outdoors and there was a water cooler available when we were there, which was nice.

Cafe Dear Leon is a small yet busy bakery and coffee shop in Canton Square in Baltimore, MD. I have been several times and suggest that if you decide to come down, prepare to wait a bit, just depends on their bake schedule and how much time you have. They frequently run out of items but that speaks to the quality of the food they put out. Never hand anything bad there honestly. Today was the crabby Tobago while it was tasty I do prefer the original. Also had the smores cookie which was phenomenal. Give this place a try if you're a food with a sweet n savory tooth and fan of the small bakeries out there!!

When I travel I always skip tolls. Not to save money but it takes me off the beaten path and through small towns a s big cities to find great food. In this case I came across Café Dear Leon. Everything was delicious but their Carb Dip Bagel is worth the wait and taking a detour. I bought 2. One for day of and one for breakfast 2 days later. I made an egg sandwich that I added my Fauquier Famous Bomb Sauce!

arrived at around 8:30 on a sunday morning and waited about 30 minutes. SO worth the wait! their sweet pastries are a dream for anyone who doesn’t have a major sweet tooth. i tried the guava & cheese danish, blueberries & lemon ricotta danish, and creme brulee tart from the sweet pastry options, and all were filled so generously without tasting too sweet. both danishes had tart flavors that balanced the sweetness so perfectly, and i’ll definitely be thinking about the guava & cheese danish for a long time!

I have been to a lot of bakeries and this might be my favorite out of all of them. We are truly lucky to have a bakery of this caliber in Baltimore. The Crab Dip bagel and Crème Brûlée tart are divine. Get there early and follow the bake schedule listed on their website. They sell out quick!

It took me a minute before I actually went..... And I'm pretty sure this was Cosmopolitan back in the day (if you know you know) but in any case it's this wonderful place now, so embrace it. Incredible sandos! Why have you not had one? Have 2. YES there will be a line. It's how it goes. Deal with it. It's worth the wait!

I was really looking forward to trying Dear Leon’s pastries after seeing so many photos on social media. Fortunately, my wait wasn’t bad and the service once inside was quick. The product, however, left a lot to be desired. The baklava latte was sickening sweet and two different pastries had broken custards, which was so disappointing.

Soul food restaurant
Soul Kuisine Cafe, located in Greenmount West, is a cozy spot known for its delicious breakfast and lunch offerings. The menu features a variety of breakfast sandwiches, omelets, pancakes, and shrimp and grits. For lunch, patrons can enjoy sandwiches like the Gladys Knight with chicken breast, ham, Swiss cheese, red onion and honey mustard. The cafe has gained popularity for its flavorful dishes such as the crab cake sandwich named after Billie Holiday.
I’ve been searching high and low for good fried fish in Baltimore ever since my favorite neighborhood spot closed, and Soul Kuisine came highly recommended. Located on the first floor of Harborplace, it offers a convenient yet slightly tricky location for parking, though it’s manageable. I was excited to try their food after reading that they serve actual catfish—a rarity these days when many places substitute other fish. While they have tables for dine-in, I opted for takeout. The fried catfish was the highlight of my order. After making a stop on the way home, I tried it straight from the box. It was a bit soggy by then and rated about a 6.5 or 7/10. However, a quick two minutes in the air fryer brought it back to life, transforming it into a solid 9/10. This tells me that if eaten fresh at the restaurant, it’s probably closer to a perfect 10. The flavor was authentic, and the fish had that classic crispy coating that makes fried catfish so satisfying. The fries were seasoned frozen fries—not bad, but not the star of the show either, which is fine since I was there for the fish. Overall, Soul Kuisine has earned its spot as my go-to for fried catfish in Baltimore. If you’re a fan of fresh, well-seasoned fish, I highly recommend giving them a try—just eat it there for the best experience!

Cute little cafe restaurant where you order at the countertop and sitdown at a free table. The dining area was very clean and the tables are covered with tablecloths. I got the Fried Catfish sandwich with fries. It came out hot and fresh. There was hot honey on the sandwich. It was everything I wanted. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade which was quite refreshing. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Being from the deep south (AL), it's hard finding real soul food. The DMV is a total bust when it it comes to true soul food. Came to Baltimore (yes, I know it's not the DMV) and found this spot, and the reviews did not disappoint. I got the turkey wings w cabbage and fries . My partner got wings w sweet potatoes and mac. Everything was delicious. Although it was a tad bit too salty. Just a little. And the mac wasn't my kind of mac, everything was still so flavorful. It's inside the food court area. You can't see it from outside. The service is what you'd expect because everything is made to order. Took about 15-20 mins, but we didn't care because it's not fast food. Blackfamilyy owned and operated. Very nice people. Clean. And they had a 90s playlist going. I can't wait to go back. The prices were what you would expect for the area. It reminded me so much of what I had in Alabama. Delicious home cooking. The only thing I wish they had was cornbread!

We came from Brooklyn New York for the weekend. Looking for the place it’s actually in a mall setting. The pictures that they have of the place is outdated. We order catfish and grits and shrimp and grits. My friend said the fish and grits was good. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The food was good. 9/10. The drinks was sweet but I also think the lady gave the wrong drink because it didn’t taste like blueberry. It look like that pink lemonade drink. For fast food to get …I will come back and get it to go. I feel like if they had they own restaurant it would be more comfortable for dining.

Staying at Inner Harbor and was looking for a black owned restaurant to support and came across this place (it's inside the mall). We arrived @ 2pm and they were already out of collards and turkey wings. Not sure if they were sold out or just didn't have any for the day. We ordered the blackened catfish, shrimp, mac n cheese, yams, rice, and green beans. I thought the green beans were a little too salty but other than than we found EVERYTHING to be very flavorful and would go back again.

We feel so fortunate to have stopped by here. I honestly thought they were closed when we first arrived because we ate at an odd time (3 p.m.) and it was so immaculately clean. But, they jist keep it super clean, which I love and appreciate. And wow - the food!! SO delicious. If I lived in Baltimore this would be a frequent treat.

I stopped by this café recently and was really disappointed. The inside was filthy — tables were sticky, the floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and the overall place just felt unsanitary. It completely ruined the experience, and I didn’t even feel comfortable finishing my order. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

This beloved spot has locations in Hampden and Canton, where the aroma of handmade, preservative-free sweet and savory pies fills the air. The name truly reflects the experience—these pies are so scrumptious that you'll want to savor every bite!
I came with my friend and she said that Rodney was super hot. Anyway, any pie you get will be the best thing you've put in your mouth. Vegan, vegetarian and carnivores delight. It's so good, I didn't even take pictures.

Nice little pie “bar”. Had space after dinner to try a slice and opted for steak mushroom onion truffle. Lovely crust and filling ratio was on point. I’d definitely try out the other pies if I’m around the corner. Love the bar too! Decent selection of Irish and bourbon on display. Beer fridge is well stocked too!

Genuinely my favorite spot in Baltimore. I have traveled and worked in every region of this country and have never found such a unique and perfectly executed idea. If someone told me there was a restaurant of just pies I'd say they are full of it. I am not exaggerating when I say these are the best pies I've ever had and I will miss this more than anything when it's time to move to the next job.

Very Rock-a-billy! Love The Vibes love the look. The pies are amazing! This is now my second time going and I don't think I can stop coming back. Yum! I recommend getting any of the fruit pies because they are really delicious and for the savory I've only had the beef onion and gruyere cheese. So good. I need to work on getting the quiches

We ordered two slices of pie and a coffee — the Caramel Apple Crumb and the Baltimore Bomb. Both were flavorful and delicious, but the Baltimore Bomb was the standout! Highly recommend giving it a try if you visit. 🍰☕️

Iyin and Rodney were so sweet and deserve a flourishing business with their charisma. WITH that being said, oh my goodness do Not get the pies here. Idk if it’s because I came here on a Friday night at 11 pm but I got the strawberry rhubarb and it was so disappointing and by disappointing I mean borderline nasty. I never write reviews but the way I was bamboozled when I took a bite because I was so excited to try this and the reviews were good so I was certain it would be atleast be a 5/10… no :( I had to write this review. I will say I had a Caramel cappuccino and that was good . I don’t know about anything else here but the strawberry R. And the mixed berry pie was NOT good, trust me. (In the photo I could only eat the crust/bredding, it didn’t come with whipped cream, frosting etc)

I’ve eaten here and have purchased their pies in large quantities for events over the years. Unfortunately I will not be returning as a result of my last visit. It was a Friday afternoon, wasn’t too busy. It was a couple at the bar drinking and chatting and two bartenders (I do believe one was being trained). Nonetheless, I sat at the bar for over 10min before walking out. Neither of the bartenders even greeted me of acknowledged my presence.

The key lime pie is better than the actual key lime in the keys! We used to call in first to check and see what they actually had as we drive in from the county. Used to call and they answer promptly. However this past week they never answer phone after 9pm (our post dinner drive down) even though they used to. Hope they pickup soon, would pay the premium just to get it!

The cozy and inviting atmosphere makes it a great place to sit and enjoy their treats. Additionally, the bakery is kid-friendly, with a designated area for children at the back.
Yes please!!! This place is delicious! We ate in the cafe which has such a fun, colorful, happy vibe! And plants! And books! A great place to sit for a while. We had the lox croissant-absolutely delicious, layers of flavor on the flaky pastry. Lox and greens were fresh and tasty. Next up the Get A Job Hippie-very, very good with lots of flavors but not a fan of the bread which I found basic and dense. Wakey Wakey Eggs and Bakey was perfection! This place uses fresh, quality ingredients. Chocolate croissant was good, the chocolate inside was perfect! Butterscotch scone was tasty, not super moist but not too dry. I had to get the Peach Cake, only 10 bakeries are even making this Baltimore classic. I’ll have to edit this review when we give it a taste. Looks delicious!! It was very hard to choose here, all looked and sounded incredibly tasty. We loved the pairings and the sandwich names!

Charlsie's has become a go-to for me! Whether it's coffee or baked goods you're looking for, what you'll get here is top notch. I try something new most visits and there's never been an item I haven't liked. And the customer service is amazing! Every staff member I've interacted with is kind and treats you with care. And the inside is so beautiful as well! If you're in the area, stop by, you won't regret it!

Fresh fresh fresh- this delightful coffee shop, cafe, bakery has an amazing repertoire of tasty home cooked treats on a daily basis. Named after a much loved Family member it took me a while to say the name right, but after 2 years of being in this Frederick Road space it has become a local favorite. The decor is eclectic and staff are super friendly, you can also buy their creations at the Sunday Farmers market

Wonderful pastry shop and coffee house, focused more on sweet pastries and savory pastry-based sandwiches as opposed to bread. Pictured are the Rise & Shine pastry (egg in an herb croissant) and a Ham & Cheese croissant, with an Iced Honey Bunches of Oats latte (a special of the day). All 3 amazing. Took home chocolate croissant, almond croissant, and peaches/cream pastry for later. Really a local gem.

I just checked out this new bakery, and will definitely return. Service was good, and we liked what we got. I really liked the cranberry oat hand pie. It looked like a nice place to sit and eat, as well. Looking forward to trying out more! **update, I have returned a couple of times and haven't been disappointed yet! I got a Creamsicle croissant today, and it was as delicious as it was unique! Mandarin orange filling and toasted meringue topping- yum! Definitely worth trying out if you haven't gone yet!

I love this place. Love. The baked goods are incredibly delicious and inventive. But at the same time, there are basic bakery standards that are nothing short of perfect. Flakey and buttery croissants, a tasty variety of cookies, "ohl fashion" donuts with toppings or flavorings that change with the seasons, scones that make you wonder why didn't you think of that flavor, and on and on. The menu items like breakfast sandwiches and biscuits and gravy are excellent. I have had The Green Machine, a griddled haloumi sandwich on a croissant, and it was perfectly balanced, savory and indulgent but too heavy. I can't get over their herb lemonade - the best lemonade you've ever had with an aromatic addition of thyme. You see the everything bagel hand pies in the case? Get one. Stuffed with savory cream cheese, topped with the best everything seasoning and wrapped in the most buttery, short, and crumbly pastry shell. Incredible. If you stay and eat, the mismatched dishware and kitchy decor might remind you of your grandma's kitchen or the homey bakeries of yesteryear. The copper cake pans/molds, the potted plants and the old music are a whole vibe that I'm happy to soak up. Regardless of how slammed, line out the door, standing room only busy they are, the staff are gracious and welcoming. I'm excitedly watching the Facebook posts for intriguing menu updates with seasonal items. I can't wait to see pawpaw-something pop up again!

I can't even put into words how much I loved this place. The decorations and retro vibes were immaculate. The servers and staff were all very friendly! And the food was Great! You must try the "Coffee knot". Well worth the price I paid, which wasn't overly expensive. I would give 100 stars if I could.

My daughter and I passed this place last night and said we had to come back although she couldn't make it I went around 12:00 noon on a Sunday. It was very cozy very inviting very warm and the owners were very welcoming and friendly. I started off picking just about everything out of the cabinet it all looked so good. Breakfast sandwich something like Old Farmers something was probably the best breakfast sandwich I've had in years it was truly amazing. And then I went on to the pastries the handheld Apple cheddar pastry was divine the chocolate cherry scone was good and I got two Jordan almond shortbread cookies which were amazing true shortbread. The only thing there was I think they were either on a tray or in a cabinet with something that had onions on it and it picked up that taste. The other thing that I got was the most amazing next to the sandwich which was to die for was the key lime tart and OMG I've been all over the world and have eaten key lime everything and this one definitely is in the top two. So treat yourself and go over and check out the place for yourself and all of the goods.

I needed a last minute birthday cake for my girlfriends birthday. I squeezed in an order 2 days in advance and the cake came out even better than i asked for. i couldn't be any happier with their service and I would order birthday cakes here all the time if i could. She loved the cake it was delicious.

I called them an hour before closing time to see if they’d fill premade cupcakes with pink or blue icing so my partner, son and I could be surprised together. No hesitancy, the staff member said to come in and they’d do it. I gave the ladies my phone, let them open the attachment and WITH A NEWBORN strapped to the one ladies chest she went in the backyy to fill and decorate 3 cupcakes for us. I didn’t even expect them to be decorated, but they did pink and blue sprinkles; gave us the option of vanilla or chocolate cake. It was just overall such a pleasant experience and it really made our day. Also, the cupcakes were delish. Thank you, Enchanted Cakes & Treats for making our surprise gender BABY BOY cupcakes. We will be back! 🧁🥹🩵

My first time ordering from Enchanted Cakes & Treats on Doordash. I got Jumbo Donuts glazed. They didn't look Jumbo Donuts to me, but they were freshly made and warm. I'm saving my Black Bottom 1 Cupcake for tomorrow, but the butter cream is good. You know I had to taste it. I would order there again, it is a little pricey, but I'm not cheap either.

Stumbled upon from Google Maps. As it isn't close to us and was close by to another destinatuon, I sent my hubby with a list of a couple treats I wanted to try.. the cheesecake pop tatsed off, not much flavor to it. The unicorn cake pop was not of the expectation in appearance I would expect from a professional establishment. The lemon cake was moist, definitely had lemon flavor. I am one to travel for something I truly enjoy; however the goodies we got just didn't leave me wanting to venture that distance to try anything else.

I needed a last minute birthday cake for my daughter. I called first thing that morning to see if they had a “grab & go” cake available, which they did. The cake was placed aside for me and I was able to pick it up after work. I was able to pick up a strawberry crunch cake. I believe it’s a 6 inch cake and it feed all 9 of our guests and we still have plenty left over. The cake was beautiful decorated, moist and the buttercream was outstanding. My husband who never eats cake… not even his own birthday cakes in past years, ate a slice and enjoyed it…we were shocked! Thanks again!!! Note: This was my first time ever calling to reserve a cake. First time trying any of the bake goods from this bakery. We have gotten the strawberry crunch cake from other local bakeries and they weren’t good…this one was great. And lastly..there are other bakeries that are closer to my home, I drove out the way because Enchanted was more affordable. We’re a family of five children so this part was so important! I will definitely be back to order!

I ordered a cake kind of last minute (on a tuesday for saturday pick up), so i was very grateful that they even accepted my order. I came to pick up 10 minutes early and was told it was being finished up and then would be boxed shortly after. I had no problem since I was early and I even saw the decorator working hard in the back to finish my cake. It was honestly a very cool experience to see. The cake was showed to me and everything was good. Took the 5 minute drive home with the cake on the floor as recommended and when i opened the box at home the icing was sliding off the slide. It was definitely disappointing because it happened so quickly but i also understand i signed the “cake waiver” so nothing can even be done. I can only assume it was because the cake never had time to settle but not exactly sure. Cake tastes good, just overall disappointing experience.

BALTOZ BAKERY, located in the Anneslie neighborhood at 6709 York Road, has gained popularity not only for its baked goods but also for its delicious pizza. The bakery offers a variety of pizzas that have impressed customers with their delightful taste and quality. In addition to pizza, BALTOZ BAKERY also offers an array of other delectable baked goods such as sourdough bread and chocolate croissants, making it a great addition to the neighborhood.
Ordered here for the first time and beyond impressed! We got the plain cheese and the chicken, both were sooo good. The char on the crust was perfect. I love a classic cheese but the chicken was to die for - so flavorful with a mild heat. Couldn’t get pics of the whole pies because we devoured them as soon as we opened the boxes. *second time back and got a whole pie pic!

We’ve been eyeing this place for a while, but every time we craved pizza, the stars (a.k.a. their hours) never aligned 😂. So we usually defaulted to our usual local spots. But tonight—victory! And oh wow, was it worth the wait. We grabbed a takeout pepperoni pizza, and it was everything you want in a pie: hot, bubbly, crispy, and loaded with flavor. Since we live close, it made it home in perfect shape—like it was hand-delivered straight from the oven to our table. Consider this our new neighborhood pizza favorite. Service-wise, I left things neutral. No one was upfront when I walked in, and after waiting a bit I almost did a dramatic “walk out and back in” just to trigger the sound of the door. Eventually someone appeared, polite enough, and I’ll cut them some slack—it was nearing their closing time. Inside feels a little plain (and honestly not super inviting), but I’d happily sit outside on a nice evening. All in all, we’ll definitely be back—and next time, we’re branching out to try those other mouthwatering pies.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. If you like truly authentic pizza that tastes like nonna used to make, you must check this place out. I’m pretty picky about my pizza, especially the crust. This pizza had no flop even after a 30 minute drive home. Sauce was just right and the cheese was definitely high quality mozzarella.
Romain B — Google review
Pizza was great with some unique combinations. We had to drive it home 20 minutes so I’m sure it would be better right out of the oven. 2 pies. $40

Very clean interior. Ordered ahead and chose the mushroom arugula pizza with tomato sauce. Order was ready 10 minutes early. Also picked up a blueberry danish on the spot. Arrived home to find there was no arugula and no number to call! We were hungry and I didn’t feel like driving back for them to fix it and return home with a totally cold pizza. The mushrooms were high quality and the pizza was very tasty. I’m sure it would’ve been even better with the arugula. Definitely a little disappointed after paying over $26 (including tip) for this take-out pizza, so definitely check the box before you leave. Hopefully, they’ll get it right next time.

Both the sicilian pizza and the regular pie are great! I've been trying to find the best pizza in Baltimore and this is one of the few that will go on that list!

First time customer and pizza was OUTSTANDING! I also bought some bagels and cookies as well and OMG amazing … this place is a must if ever in the area! Ordering pizza ahead of time was great, knew exactly what time to pick up and it was hot and ready on time! Super friendly staff as well! Thank you!
Stump F — Google review
Why is it called a bakery if all they sell is pizza? That’s like calling a place that only sells skis a shoe store. The food is not worth the wait. The pizza is good but not good enough to wait. They are always behind for perfectly fine pizzas. I don’t understand how it could take so long to make this. And the cost certainly isn’t worth it. Plus this place is hardly ever open. They have been open too long to continue to have so many problems with timing.

Batch Bake Shop in Baltimore offers a variety of scratch-made custom cakes and desserts, allowing customers to work closely with the chefs to bring their celebration vision to life. The bakery is known for its delectable quiches, kouign-amann pastries, and coffee. Customers appreciate the nostalgic flavors reminiscent of homemade baked goods from decades past. The shop's sourdough bread has garnered particular praise for its tangy taste.
I was a little kid in the 50's. My Mom loved to bake from scratch and she was good at it. I seriously never ever expected to taste goodies like that again. Batch Bakery brought all those lovely flavors back to me. So many baked goods are tooth achingly sweet. Not here. I could taste the cinnamon, the cardamon and almond. And the sourdough bread! I now understand what all the hoopla is about. So tangy and so good. The shop is immaculate and the counter guy just a sweetheart. When I was there the offerings were a little on the limited side. Parking is on street and a little tricky. Well worth the trip, though.

I really enjoyed everything I have purchased from The Batch. Their french bread, lemon squares and carrot cake cupcakes are delicious. I do wish the owners would revisit the hours that they are open. Closing at 6 PM on a Friday does not allow the locals who want to support them to reach their front door before they are closed. Additionally closing at 5 PM on a Saturday is also difficult.

Fantastic bakery for any occasion. If you want a quick stop with a sweet tooth in mind their caramel covered bagels are awesome. We asked for a specialty cake to be made for an engagement party and they blow our expectations out of the water. The taste was amazing and the decoration was a piece of art. All that for a thirt price we were quoted in a bridal bakery shop. Batch bakery had never failed us.

Unbelievably delicious! I stopped in here after hearing rave reviews from friends, and it did not disappoint. I tried macaroons, a cupcake, chocolate croissant, and brioche. Everything was outstanding, the texture and flavors were simply sublime. I'm so glad I live close by!

Weekend brunch was an unexpected treat, very flexible on what to make a breakfast sandwich on so I ended up with the savory scone plus egg and cheese. We had breakfast dessert too, I went with the Boston cream, which was pretty awesome! Service and other folks baking were all very delightful!
Christopher B — Google review
Delicious! However, every time I come, peak or non-peak, I wait 10-15 minutes in line if someone in front of me has a large order or orders multiple bagels with cream cheese. It would be awesome if they developed a system to wait on customers who have smaller orders or had more people helping out to accommodate large orders. Fortunately the food is worth the wait!
Kat M — Google review
The Shop is clean and bright and inviting, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the baked goods look amazing and are well presented. I didn't try the coffee but the baked goods were all out of this world. The bagels were amazing and fresh. The tomato and basil focaccia was practically a deep dish pizza. The Croissants were buttery and flakey and perfect. I also got a loaf of sourdough and it was both gorgeous to look at and tasted amazing. I got it sliced but I almost didn't want to it looked so perfect. I can't wait to go again!

Sarah is an absolutely amazing cake artist! Finding a vegan wedding cake wasn't easy, so we were relieved to have a tasting to see for ourselves that Sarah's baking is delicious. I had a specific vision for the cake that Sarah worked very, vary hard to deliver and it was beyond beautiful. And the scrumptious macrons were devoured by our guests, too. Thank you for being a wonderful part of our wedding Sarah!

Sarah is truly so talented!!!! We were in search of a vegan bakery to make our wedding cake. My now husband has allergies to dairy as well as nuts so it was hard to find someone to accommodate. I was so excited to find PlantBaked by Sarah. We went for a tasting, and as someone who was initially skeptical about vegan desserts, I was completely blown away. I could not tell her cakes were vegan. Once we settled on our cake flavor we also got to do a design consultation. We were a little all over the place but Sarah saw our vision and helped us bring it to life! On our wedding day, our cake was so beautifully designed. Our guests raved about the cake! They were all shocked to learn that it was vegan. My husband and I weren’t even able to get a second slice, the cake was gone so quickly. We will be reaching out to Sarah for all of our vegan dessert needs in the future. I highly recommend!!

I cannot say enough good things about our wedding cake! It was absolutely delicious—so many guests came up to me saying it was the best cake they’ve ever had. People were genuinely shocked when they found out it was vegan! Not only did it taste amazing, but it was also stunning—exactly what I envisioned. Working with Sarah was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. She really listened to what I wanted and brought it to life beautifully. I’m so happy we chose her for such a special part of our day!

I came to Sarah with a tall order: for our fantasy-themed wedding cake, I was looking for a fully vegan three-tiered cake with a huge dragon as the decoration. Not only did she deliver, she went above and beyond, hand-painting a gorgeous copper dragon in the colors we requested and crafting edible 3D wings that made it look like it was in flight. The cake was truly the centerpiece of the reception dinner. For flavors, we ordered snickerdoodle, cinnamon mocha latte, and chocolate cookies and cream, all of which were delicious. My personal fav was the cinnamon mocha — 10/10 highly recommend. I would love to order more cakes from Sarah for future celebrations!

Ordered a whimsical “Over the garden wall” cake with the “rock facts” rock and a center piece. It was so delicious!!! Probably the best chocolate cakenive ever tasted. All of the guests kept commenting on how amazing it was! Will definitely be ordering again in the future. Thank you Sarah!

Bakery
Nestled in the heart of Baltimore, Bramble Baking Co. is a delightful gem that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Known for its ever-changing selection of pastries, mini cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and breakfast sandwiches, this bakery offers a unique twist on traditional treats by incorporating rye flour into their puff pastry. The flavors are thoughtfully crafted with an emphasis on balance—sweetness is kept in check while imaginative combinations featuring herbs and botanicals shine through.
I’ve been to Bramble at least 10 times, and I can’t say enough positive things about them! They offer a different assortment of goodies each week, all of which are unique and amazing. Most items are pastry, plus they have mini cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and breakfast sandwiches. They use rye flour in their puff pastry, which I love. Their sweets are not too sweet. They are so imaginative with interesting flavor combinations often using herbs and botanicals, not to mention the gorgeous dried flowers. Their breakfast sandwich on a biscuit is the best I’ve ever had! So are their pastries, both sweet and savory. Say goodbye to bland, dry bakery items. Bramble’s goodies, staff, and their ethos are wonderful and beautiful. LGBTQ+ ally. I’m so happy to have them as part of the community.

Bramble Baking Co was my first and only choice for doing my wedding cake. After a year + of stalking them on social media, I was able to get in touch with them for my local Baltimore wedding. I really wanted to support a business that is doing good for the community, and Bramble absolutely fits this bill. Not only was their cake delicious (we did fall flavors of pear & praline and chocolate & earl grey) but it was absolutely gorgeous. Just to give you an idea of how delicious, our cake was being eaten so quickly that our caterer had to swoop in and save a piece for the groom and I to eat. This is so atypical for weddings where usually SO MUCH cake is left over. For any future special occasion, I am only going to order their cakes, literally nothing else can compare. I am a regular at their brick and mortar shop and just can't say enough good things about them. If you haven't been yet GO QUICKLY AND EARLY as their tasty stuff flies off the shelves very quickly.

I love Holy Crepe! It was one of the first places I ever visited when I was moving to Canton and I fell in love. The service is great—everyone I've ever met there is so friendly. I am so excited that they are now open late-night. My last visit was after a night of bar-hopping and even with our obnoxiously loud chatter, the staff was so friendly and the food was amazing. My favorite crepe is the chicken pesto! I will continue to frequent this jaunt!

I researched this place online and the reviews are great! I took my husband in to buy a pie, and unfortunately you have to order in a few days in advance. I went back to the website to see if I missed that detail, and the site says "for specialty cakes" order 48 hours in advance. So, we decided since we couldn't get a pie we would enjoy a fresh crepe. We ordered a blackberry crepe. The lady was working alone so she took our order and two more, then she went to the back and made a fresh crepe, put a handful of fresh blackberries into the crepe, folded it, and sprinkled it with powdered sugar. It smelled delicious. We walked and tried to eat the crepe but it was so dry and bland we ended up throwing it away, it would have benefited from a sauce or fruit reduction.

Great local bakery and creperie. They not only have sweet, but savory crepes which can make a good quick meal any time of the day. The staff were very friendly all times I have been here, and I believe it is a family run establishment.

Reminds me of the crepes I used to get at this spot in Breckinridge CO after a long day on the slopes. Totally hit the spot. Service was very friendly and prompt. Save room for dessert and stop by on your way home. They have delicious non-sweet options as well if you need more of a meal. A great local business in Canton. Will be back.

I love their cream cakes and pies. The Boston cream is awesome. I have yet to even try a crepe here, because I can't overcome the desire to have a piece of pie. The staff is pretty friendly.

Beautiful and delicious cupcakes!!! Nika is always wearing a smile and goes above and beyond for customer satisfaction. Perfect balance of sweetness and moisture for anyone with a sweet tooth. Not only is the taste and appearance amazing; the size is huge! Nika’s packaging is sustainable and keeps the goods safe on transport. This is one of my favorite cupcake places in Baltimore!

Best cupcakes ever!! My husbands favorite cupcakes - surprised my husband with 2 dozen for his birthday - highly recommend - and Nika is great to work with!!

I have purchased cupcakes from Nika’s Cupcake Bar for family and friends and they all raved about how flavorful and moist their cupcakes are. What stands out about Nika’s Cupcake Bar is her eye for detail when creating her cupcakes and her gorgeous presentation. The owner of Nika’s Cupcake Bar is professional, yet super sweet and very helpful. I highly recommend choosing Nika’s Cupcake Bar.

Not only are Nika’s cupcakes delicious and BEAUTIFUL, she has the amazing, fun, high spirited personality to match it! I wish I was closer so I can buy more often! I defiantly would recommend!

It was a great experience. Starting with the customer service and hospitality. The presentation is amazing. But most of all the TASTE of the Cupcakes blew my mind. I am not a huge cupcake fan or eater, but after tasting these delicious cupcakes, I was hooked. I have experience these cupcakes on more than one occasion and my 12 year old son loves them and always asking, are we getting any cupcakes. Lol it’s a win win all way around and I look forward to more of these delicious cupcakes. Thank you again for this wonderful experience I will continue to return to enjoy an amazing taste and experience!!

Nika helped me with the launch of my business, not only did she create a custom cupcake for my business(which everyone loved) she spent time to engage with my customers and I’m forever grateful for that. I definitely will be hiring her for my next events and Beyond! Oh! Did I mention? The cupcakes are freaking amazing!!!!

Obrycki's Crab House and Seafood Restaurant is a must-visit destination for seafood lovers, especially those craving authentic Maryland specialties. Known for its delicious peppered hard-shell crabs, this lively eatery invites guests to engage in the fun of cracking open their own crabs with a mallet demonstration. The menu boasts an array of delectable options including crab cakes—both regular and spicy—king crab legs, crab imperial, snow crabs, and various crab-based dishes like soup and dip.
Man this place food was bomb, Awesome, finger lickin good lol 😄 Such a shame it closed down. The last one I know of was inside BWI airport.
