Restaurant
Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar is a lively spot in Boston, offering Baja-style Mexican cuisine with a focus on creative seafood dishes. The restaurant, owned by the team behind Lincoln Tavern, boasts a vibrant cantina atmosphere and serves up an array of street tacos, snacks, and seafood delights. Guests can indulge in fun-flavored margaritas and unique combinations like crab and mango guacamole or carnitas crunchwrap with tangy jack queso.
I had heard about this place having Oyster specials on Monday somewhere, and being our first time in Boston we had to go to compare West vs East coast. This place was fantastic all around. Really cool location in a downtown feeling area, huge open space indoor and out. The staff was really friendly and quick service. We tried a few things off of the main menu too, but the oyster deal is too good to pass up. We found our that our 2 and half year old enjoys fresh oysters much to our amusement since we get them often back home in Morro Bay. Tacos were a good size. We got the trio of salsa which was delicious. Definitely a fun spot to try out.

The food is good, I like the octopus and tacos, but they have too few waiters! If your boss sees this review, you really need to hire one or two more people for your business. And their waiters are dressed casually, I can't tell if the people walking by are waiters or not.

We are 4 adults and 1 kids We ordered different kind of plates really good The churros 100% recommend the dulce de leche have a flavor like a citrus was Woow The birria tacos really good The only thing that I don’t like very much was the ceviche the flavor was good but it’s a little portion for the price to be honest. The Britney cocktail is amazing It’s a good places to eat

Food and menu are a 100/100. Bonkers how delicious the salsa, and tacos are actually. My margarita was pretty delicious too. However the lighting was so dark I could hardly see my wife and the place ain’t a club. It kept getting dimmed more too for no reason. I’m sure the vibe would’ve been nice if I could see the place. And then the service was ultra slow. It was busy but the service got even worse as it died down. However the food was worth the wait and I’d still come back for sure.
Zack M — Google review
Ordered 3 fish tacos and the fish must’ve been goldfish because it was tiny. All three looked like this too, not just one. It tasted decent at least.
Elias V — Google review
In general, the food is only good when it's freshly made, including fried dishes. I have ordered food a few times when visiting, and I can tell that my chicken was fried — the outer skin was burnt. Additionally, if you are over 30, you may feel a bit left out, as their main target is young professionals — a not-so-inclusive space. Overall, you can tell that the Latino employees work extremely hard to ensure the food comes out quickly-sometimes we forget who works behind the kitchen! Also, this is not Mexican food--- it's just well-seasoned food.
Sarah S — Google review
A pretty good taco spot. The tacos were a bit pricey but the food was good overall. Some of the tacos were average, about what you would expect. However, the coconut shrimp and beef barbacoa tacos were fantastic and I would highly recommend. We came on a Monday, so I got to try the $1 oysters, which were good as well. Good service, and not too noisy. Overall, a good experience and I’d come back again.
Chris E — Google review
The place is poppin. My party and I came here in the pouring rain and the place was still crowded. Reservations is recommended, or you might be waiting up to an hour for a table. My only gripe is the service. They initially had us waiting for 20 minutes and no one came to our table. I had to go tell the hostess we were waiting for service and even after that, still no one. After 10 minutes I went and told her again and someone finally came to our table. The food was exceptionally delicious. We ordered Street Corn for an appetizer. It was glazed with an orange colored, creamy sauce and sprinkled with parmesan cheese and chives. My wife ordered the Taco Barria, laced with shaved steak, minces onions, peppers, and other ingredients; served with a broth-like dipping sauce w/ chives and other herbs floating in it. I ordered a Smash Burger. It has a tasty, succulent double patty, american cheese, carmelized onions, housed in two buttery brioche buns; served w/ a side of fries and ketchup.

Yellow Door Taqueria offers a vintage-chic atmosphere where you can savor Cali-Mex cuisine and creative cocktails. The interior is adorned with eye-catching decor, including neon signs and tufted turquoise banquettes, giving a glimpse of the bold flavor combinations found in their tacos. From Tecate-beer-battered fish to scallops with prickly pear molasses, the menu boasts unexpected delights.
Went here for dinner. The atmosphere was perfect for a date the lights were dim and music not too loud. We got some drinks and we picked a few tacos. Tacos come very small with soft shell but they are full and flavorful! Expect to get a little messy. Staff were very nice and friendly. Drinks were okay. They dont have parking and it took us a while to find street parking
GIGI — Google review
We were here for the $1 oyster on Sundays. The service was great and I ended up having $36 oysters. The rest of the food was also well made with the birria tacos and the scallop tacos being the stand out. Always a get a marg or a modelo with your food.
Pragadish K — Google review
Yellow door exceeds my expectations every single time! The service, atmosphere, food and drinks are top notch! Everything on the menu is made from scratch and you can taste it! They have $1 oysters on Sundays! I highly recommend Yellow Door!
Deirdre F — Google review
Yellow door is one of my favorite spots to eat. They have the BEST mocktails and churros. The sauce for the churros is soooo good. The tacos are tasty too. My favorite tacos were the scallop taco and the calamari taco but sadly they don't have them on the menu any more. More food reviews on Instagram: Junebugstastyadventures

I had a late-night dinner with friends at this charming spot, which features seasonal outdoor seating. We dined inside, and while the space is cozy and small, there might be a wait during busy times. The ambiance is relaxed and dimly lit, with some cool neon signs adding a fun touch. The drinks were excellent and visually appealing, and I appreciated the variety of mocktails available. We started with the sweet and spicy wings and red shrimp aguachile, along with a small side of queso. The wings were flavorful with a strong kick—perhaps too spicy for those sensitive to heat. The red shrimp aguachile was refreshing but the chip-to-sauce ratio was off; the shrimp was in a smaller portion, though my friends enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the queso was served cold and had an off flavor, lacking the expected cheese taste. I wouldn’t order it again. For tacos, we sampled a variety: carnitas, carne, chicken chile verde, mango BBQ pork, chili duck, queso carne, fish, and spicy tuna. The tacos were well-sized, flavorful, and featured tender meat and seafood. Most were served in corn tortillas, except the spicy tuna, which came in a hard shell. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual hangout with friends or a date night.

Yellow door south end has some of the best service I’ve ever had in Boston. As someone with gluten allergy the staff was well informed and offered me many modifications to food that did have gluten. Additionally they ensured the kitchen staff was aware and they informed me that they have a dedicated fryer for allergies. Our servers were so kind and accommodating. We sat outside and it got a little chilly and they kindly offered several times to move us to the side patio where there are heaters. The food is also great we went for apps and drinks. The margs are in my opinion one of the best in Boston. I will definitely be back
Rachel D — Google review
First time trying this place and it met all my expectations of what I’d heard about their tacos. Very flavorful and excellent combinations of foods to give a unique taste. I did order the guac and the limes used were bitter. So it gave a bad after taste. Confirmed the limes were bitter by tasting them when they came with my taco order. I would definitely return back here. Food and service was excellent.
Jim M — Google review
Go-to place on a night out or with guests. Staff is beyond hospitable and kind. Brings the old school corner bar vibes but with current drinks and food. Found this place after looking for tacos post living in TX and now it’s our favorite place to spend the night (or a boozy brunch). Start off with a classic marg and chips, then cruise through the bubbly mixed drinks. A Waking Up in Tijuana and churros cap off the night perfectly. Can’t say enough good things about this place and team.

Mexican restaurant
Lone Star Taco Bar is a trendy and laid-back cantina in Allston and Cambridge, offering a modern twist on Mexican street food along with an extensive selection of mezcals and tequilas. The hip atmosphere attracts a young crowd looking for affordable yet delicious eats. From various dips for chips to grilled street corn, refried bean tostadas, spiced chicken wings, and flavorful tacos made with hand-made corn tortillas, the menu offers a wide range of options.
My husband and I went to Lone Star Taco Bar for the first time tonight. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient! Our waiter answered all our questions and took great care of me with my food allergies! I felt totally safe!! The food was packed with so much flavor and everything just melts in your mouth! The guacamole was literally the best I’ve ever had in my life and the tacos were flavorful and fresh!! We wanted to try one of everything so we will definitely be back. The ambiance is welcoming and I loved the decor. 10/10 stars!!
Ali W — Google review
Lone Star Goes A Long Way Cambridge edition of LSTB consistently carries its weight- hand made, freshly prepared tacos from the all-day menu are the raison d’être. That said, options abound (plates, tostadas, tortas) so there’s ample variety. The Street Corn is a keeper.. Limited beer options but does offer a rotating tap ticks it down a notch, but apart from that, it is easy to become a regular!
Chris T — Google review
Great experience all around!! Food was delicious (try any taco, literally!!!) Paulo, behind the bar, was beyond courteous, pointed me the right direction when ordering and always approached with a friendly smile. Highly highly recommend! Don’t walk, run to this joint for some banging eats and drinks!
Samantha L — Google review
If I could rate this place six stars, I would. Excellent atmosphere. Decent beer selection. The chips and especially the guac are divine. I had the Baja Fish tacos and they did not disappoint. Would highly recommend stopping in if you haven't!
Thomas L — Google review
Really middling food. Would not come here again, not because it wasn't good, but mostly because there was nothing good or memorable about this place. It was just a place. We ordered nachos, tacos, and a tostada. The nachos was the last thing to come out, when clearly thats an appetizer. The nachos were okay, the cheese was congealed on top which was not the greatest and too much coleslaw. The tacos were adequate. It was food. Nothing truly to talk about. The tostada was alright. The food was cheap which was nice. But yeah this place is just perfectly average.
Raj S — Google review
The food was delicious! Mushroom asada tacos are a must try, the tostada was also good. The Guacamole was the low point amongst the dishes we ordered. Unfortunately the service isn't the same, there was one person working through the bar and he was also greeting the customers was very unfriendly. The other service staff were good.
Prasanth — Google review
Welcoming neighborhood taco bar. I had the fish taco and spicy beef taco with the Mexicano Margarita. The staff is fun and friendly but so are their patrons! Great to hang out or for a quick satisfying meal. Their tortilla chips are thick, hot and fresh.
Nika N — Google review
This is probably the only place in and around Cambridge area which serves food late in the night , which is the best part. We went here late and night and thankfully they served us food. A few of us don't eat meat and we were lucky to have a few veg options on the menu. We tried the tofu and avocado Tacos and they were tasty. The corn is also delicious, just wished they served it off the cob. The guac they served wad freshly made, wish it had more seasoning. One of the waitress there was a bit too blunt to us and kept coming to our table saying we can't do this we can't do that, which was annoying but overall this is the safest option to get good food past mid-night!

Lolita Back Bay is a vibrant and trendy lounge with a Gothic-inspired decor that offers Mexican-inspired cuisine and an extensive tequila selection. The Spanish-influenced ambiance features dimly lit rooms adorned with throne-like seats and blood-red chandeliers, creating a seductive charm for groups of friends or lovers.
The food here is delicious! My husband and I loved the tacos so much. My favorites were the fish, the shrimp and the steak. The tortillas were fresh and homemade. I really liked the Diablo margarita. It’s sweet and spicy. If you like Mexican food, you should definitely try this place. We went there twice within three days and we would definitely go back next time we return to Boston.

We made a reservation to enjoy an early dinner here before going across the street for a candlelight concert. We were seated quickly, but it did take a while before our server came by, which had us lowering our expectations at the start, since the place was not packed inside or anything. Thankfully, after she came over and took our orders, the food was excellent! We got a couple margaritas and the street corn app and the crab ceviche app. She also brought over a complimentary starter that was like flavored ice with tequila. We then got the yucca tacos and the steak tacos. Everything was great, with the yucca tacos being our favorite bite of the night. They also brought us cotton candy with our bill at the end of the night.
Kevin A — Google review
Lolita offers great vibes and quality food! When you enter you're transported into a very sophisticated space with gothic decor. It's very photogenic and has top notch ambiance. Drinks we got were really good. I enjoyed my riviera margarita a lot, and the glass of wine my boyfriend got was good. We split a few food items as it seemed like the best option. This place doesn't market itself as tapas style from what I saw, but the portion sizes definitely feel like it is. We started with the hot queso dip as our appetizer. It was good but ! feel like the dip could've been bigger for the amount of chips given. Then we split the beef gorditas which came recommended to us by the host, as well as the steal quesabirria. Both were really yummy and honestly were filling. Then they give you a cotton candy when you get your bill which was a cool touch. Tables are close together so our neighbors were striking up conversation with us. I didn't mind but beware if you're looking for a more intimate experience it might not happen depending on who your neighbors are. But I was surprised with how big this place is, there are so many dining rooms and a few bars! Overall a quality date night in Boston!
Michelle M — Google review
Super fun food joint. The atmosphere is so cool here. The portions are smaller so if going with a group order extra. Great for sharing though, which i highlyrecommend because everything here is amazing. So many fresh ingredients, and flavors. My wife and I loved our experience here. Complementary cotton candy was awesome! Will visit again!
Jerome W — Google review
The food was super delicious! Only complaint was its small portions and we left pretty hungry. We got the street corn appetizer which was good. I got yucca tacos which were delish! They gave us free cotton candy in the end which was yummy.
Kavya S — Google review
This was our second time back after 8 years. We had fabulous service, food, and a cool atmosphere. We were catching up with friends and were grateful to not be rushed during our visit. We will be back again! Side note, we had a reservation and were visiting on a Thursday night. We were also asked if there were dietary restrictions prior to ordering which was great.
Julie M — Google review
Omg this was such a random find and it was SO SO GOOD. The apps were amazing, but the drinks were PHENOMENAL. We were walking around after visiting the Boston Public Library and crossed Lolita and it was the perfect weather for their outdoor seating. Service was good, our food came out fairly quick.

Nice Mexican restaurant around Newbury street. The place has more of a bire vibe, however outdoor seating allows a relaxed dining experience. The food is tasty and comes in good portions. The staff is very friendly.

The Painted Burro is a vibrant Mexican restaurant located in Somerville, offering a festive atmosphere and an extensive selection of over 100 tequilas, mezcals, and rums. Known as the definitive gourmet Latin American restaurant in the area, it boasts a small but finely crafted menu with a focus on tacos alongside other appetizers and entrees.
We came for mucho mania - 21$ of all you can eat menu. It has most of the place's dishes, but in tapas style (smaller and aimed to share). This was a great expression, we got to try many (actually, all the vegetarian) dishes, and in reasonable size and portions. Even without this special offer, their prices are fair and the food is delicious. I highly recommend their cocktails as well - all are well crafted, balanced and special. High value for you money. We would definitely come back. The only downside that I would mention is that it's a very loud place, and there isn't much to do about it.
Inbar S — Google review
I dined here with a group of 4 for Sunday brunch. The drinks were good and food was solid, but nothing blew my mind. I tried almost everything on the menu, and my favorite thing was the esquites corn bowl. The chilaquiles were good as well, but most of the food seemed a little gimmicky. The $29 bottomless brunch is a good deal though!
Sophie C — Google review
The food was really good and the nacho also. A little pricey especially since each taco is sold separately and confusing. I’d eat there again.
Stephanie R — Google review
Had the fajitas with the homemade tortillas. I wasn't sure i was going to like them and was i completely wrong! They were absolutely delicious! The service was great and this meal was excellent!
KC — Google review
I went for the first time for Sunday brunch with some friends. I enjoyed the decor and the food. Service was also great. However, for roughly $15 each there wasn’t much alcohol in any of the drinks. We went for the “bottomless brunch” which is only food in Massachusetts. We tried a number of dishes, the best were the tacos and the chicken and waffles. I also enjoyed the chilaquiles.
R. R — Google review
Went for the All You Can Eat Brunch deal this past weekend and it was such a wonderful experience! The service was fantastic, the food came fast, and the food itself was absolutely delicious! They make sure you are fed there, and I would 100% go back. Can’t recommend more!
Abby W — Google review
Came here with some friends for bottomless brunch. Every dish we ordered was insanely delicious and packed with flavor. My personal favorite was the chicken milanesa torta. The music in the restaurant was very upbeat, groovy, and had us dancing in our seats. The service could have been a lot better. When waiting to order more food, I had to yell “EXCUSE ME” very loudly to get a waiter’s attention. Aside from that little mishap, I highly recommend this place, especially for bottomless brunch.

We came for a Saturday drag brunch and it was so much fun!! The ambiance and decor in this place is absolutely stunning! The food was super fresh (from the ceviche to the chips, you can tell everything was made fresh) but could use a bit more flavor. Overall great experience. Would probably come back for the drag brunch experience but not just for the food.

We couldn’t get a reservation at our preferred time since it was a Saturday night, but it worked out just fine. The bar was full service and had a great vibe. The lighting and decor were beautiful, with warm tones and cherry blossoms that made the space feel magical. It was the perfect setting for a cozy date night. The tacos were amazing. The fish tacos were our favorite — super fresh, warm, and packed with flavor. The ground beef tacos (gordita crunch style) were a close second. The duck tacos were just okay in comparison. The drinks were excellent. I started with the mango cucumber margarita (because tequila is cheaper than therapy, right?) and really liked it. My partner had the espresso martini and loved it. For our second round, I had the "Beautiful Liar" with prickly pear, tequila, elderflower, orange blossom, and black lava salt. My partner went for the "Garden of Eva" with mezcal, watermelon, and basil. Both were nice, but we still preferred our first choices. Overall, it was a fantastic date night with great food, drinks, and ambiance. We’ll definitely be coming back.

I went to Citrus and Salt to celebrate my birthday, the restaurant esthetics were nice. I loved the vibe of the place. The food was good and I tried the octopus which was very good. I hope they create more dishes for the menu.

All in all a positive experience. Only complaints I have is they initially forgot the beef on the taco salad we asked for, our food came out at different times and I felt bad my step daughter had to wait another 5 minutes for her food…and then the restaurant called me saying I didn’t pay, all because they didn’t look under the check where the $100 that included a 25% tip. But the food was good, nothing special and the atmosphere was beautiful.

Sunday brunch for this spot, for a chill, great scenery, great vibes with all the right songs, tequila & tacos! I got to go during brunch times, the waitress checked off the vibe check! Was able to help me out exactly with what I wanted! I told her what I was feeling and she reassured that what I wanted was THE items in the menu! I could have ordered TWO orders of the pancakes! But probably would have had to be carried out! Do yourself a favor & grab the Cornbread Pancakes has is (if you like everything there) TRUST ME ! With the tater tots make sure to cut the egg over it before trying so it’s not as dry!

Food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. We were sat next to the kitchen and were unable to chat much due to the noise, but our server placed us at another table which was great. I order my food without an ingredient as I did not like the taste of it, and 1/2 of my meal was made properly and the other half had the ingredient I requested not be included. Overall the food and drinks were delicious and at a great price and the service was great, I would just recommend double checking your food if you have dietary restrictions. Additionally, this is a beautiful restaurant location with a pretty interior if you are looking for a pretty place to have a meal.

Sunset Cantina is a fun, casual Mexican bar and grill that is always entertaining with its variety of live music and quiz nights. They have an extensive menu of Mexican favorites like nachos, margaritas, large draft beer selection, and 200+ tequilas.
We came in for Taco Tuesday.. the food was perfect! Our server Chris was exceptional! Our drinks were filled and his recommendations made ordering other items easy! Will definitely take the drive from New Hampshire again. Added to my new favorite place

Oct 2024: Not bad overall. I enjoyed the dips—they grew on me—but the guacamole with warm chips was pretty good. The shrimp had great flavor, though the rice could have used more depth and seasoning.

We got the nachos, buffalo wings, and barilla tacos. They were honestly a good eat and I was full from just going at the nachos (it's a lot!). I would come back to try out other menu items

from the moment we sat down at our table this place was a disaster. the waiter had an extremely poor attitude and when asked about the margarita specials for cinco de mayo he had a major tude just because we wanted to know if we could get a flavored margarita. it was clear from the beginning he clearly did not enjoy us despite the fact we literally were just like any other table and minded our own business? to start we ordered the dip trio which includes guacamole, queso, and salsa. first of all, the salsa genuinely tasted like watered down tomato sauce. second of all, I took a chip with some guacamole and once i started to chew I felt a weird texture. Fast forward two seconds as I proceed to pull a long strand of hair out of my mouth that was inside of our guacamole. This was about 30 minutes into our time at Sunset and the waiter had absolutely disappeared at this point. When he finally came around (only because I made eye contact), I told him about the hair and he didn’t even fully react almost like he wasn’t shocked. He then asked me if I told anyone as if he wasn’t our waiter and I was expected to hunt down another staff member to report this. The food itself was extremely disappointing and so overpriced. The birria quesadilla lacked flavor and was genuinely an offense to what birria is supposed to taste like. When we asked for chips because the tables ran out we were charged for that??????? I understand we’re in a tough economic situation but charging for more table chips when you’re a literal mexican restaurant is absurd. Fast forward to the end, we order churros which were actually so small and should not have cost $10. Additionally, it came with vanilla icecream which was served in a to go condiment container…… This was actually the cheapest serving of icecream to top churros I’ve ever seen in my entire life and not even the dollar store would do that to me. Overall, this place is extremely overprice, food is lacking in quality for what they charge, and Andres (I understand you might be a student) but this clearly is not the job for you if you cannot handle people.

From walking in and noticing right away a server had time to play on their phone. I knew I was doomed. Mexican being my favorite of all foods I’m very disappointed in my entire experience. The food was bland for being Mexican. I ordered enchilada Rojas with steak quesadillas and beef empanadas with GREASE sauce. Not sure what that sauce was but it was straight grease. The enchiladas had zero sauce really dry, the empanadas were mushy with no meat to speak of. Don’t even get me started on the non-fresh hard rice they serve. Margaritas were an insult to margaritas. The last but most crazy item. My server lost my Credit Card and tried to tell me we need to check the tapes to see what happened to it. So as if the food wasn’t bad enough you lost my credit card. Thank god my wife found it moments later somewhere on the floor. I want to add the place was also pretty EMPTY. Attention to all these details should have been spot on. Skip this place if you’re looking for true Mexican. I you want cheap tacos and bad decor mixed with even worse service then this is your dump. Enjoy at your own risk. TRASH and definitely not Bussin!

I didn’t listen to the other one star reviews on here, so if you’re reading this, please listen to us. 50 mins we waited on a Tuesday. Never saw our server. We placed an order with the hostess but it never quite made it to the kitchen. Drinks never came either. Just do yourself a favor and go elsewhere if you actually want to eat and drink.

🌞 **Sunset Cantina Review** 🌮🍹 **Location & Vibe:** Tucked away on Commonwealth Ave, Sunset Cantina promises an experience that's vibrant with a casual, sports-bar atmosphere. Known for its history as a gathering spot for BU students, my boyfriend and I ventured there hoping to relive some fond memories of nacho-filled evenings. The ambiance is laid-back, perfect for a lively game night. 🏈🍻 **Drinks:** The bar at Sunset Cantina remains its stronghold. With a robust selection of cocktails and beers, the drinks are crafted to kickstart any gathering. We found the cocktails to be particularly well-mixed, adding a refreshing twist to our afternoon. 🍸✨ **Starters - Chips & Queso Dip:** Our meal started on a shaky note with the chips, which were unfortunately stale, detracting from the overall enjoyment. However, the queso dip provided a slight redemption with its intriguing mix of grilled corn salsa and a dash of tajin, offering a zesty flavor that partially made up for the lackluster chips. 🌽🧀 Rating: 4/10 **Main Attraction - Beef Empanadas:** The highlight of our dining experience came in the form of their beef empanadas. Filled with tender, slow-cooked shredded beef and creamy Monterey Jack cheese, these empanadas were flavorful and cooked to a delightful finish, standing out as the most memorable dish of our visit. 🥟🌟 Rating: 7/10 **Salads - A Healthy Twist:** We sampled the Mexican Caesar and steak & avocado salads, aiming for something on the lighter side. While both salads were generous in portion, featuring a decent amount of meat, they lacked a certain flair and were generally average, failing to impress beyond their wholesome presentation. 🥗🥑 Rating: 5/10 **Birria Tacos - A Missed Opportunity:** As a fan of birria tacos, I was eager to dive into this dish, but it fell short of expectations. The tacos lacked the rich, deep flavor typical of birria, and the meat was scant, leading to an unbalanced bite where the taco shell overshadowed the filling. 🌮👎 Rating: 4/10 **Overall Experience:** While the drinks lived up to the festive spirit of the place, the food struggled to match up, delivering a mixed bag of hits and misses. The setting and price point make it a reasonable choice for casual dining, especially if you're in the area to watch a sports event and enjoy some drinks. **Final Scores:** - **Food:** 5/10 - **Affordability:** 7/10 - **Ambiance:** 5/10 Hoping my feedback is seen as constructive. I love capturing and sharing food experiences and always root for places to thrive. 📸💖 If you're looking to watch a sports game with a good drink this might still be your spot!

Since 1972, Casa Romero has been serving refined Mexican cuisine and tequila in a cozy brownstone space adorned with traditional decor from Mexico.
First time here and will definitely be coming back. Loved the vibe of this place and the music and drinks were great. Waiter was cool and really explained the menu very well and tried some really great options. Had Apps, dinner and dessert and was so happy with all the items. It's a little pricey but the quality of the food you cannot beat. Will be recommending this place to family and friends to come on by and get some awesome food!

We were here on a Friday night, and the place was packed and pretty loud. We had a table of 7, which was tight and kinda of in a way of passing to another room. The food was fresh and tasty. The drinks were really great too. The tuna in tuna tacos was fantastic. The flan was a little bland, but the churros were delicious. The guacamole was pretty great too. The flan did not have much flavor of caramel, nor was it any sweet.

First time to Boston. Found this restaurant on Google search. Hard to find. Pile of garbage in the alley as we walked up. The restaurant was relatively empty but had to wait to be seated because the hostess was socializing at the bar with other employees. Once seated we were served water then forgotten. Waited 15 mins to be helped. Asked for a salad but the only one available and some of the premade ingredients had items I’m allergic too. The server tried to sell me on the salad. We ended up leaving. Not impressed from the moment we walked up.

This is the second time coming here. Love the decor and atmosphere of the place. It is loud and energetic, so it may be hard to have a quiet conversation with someone. Taco restaurant
Located in the Seaport area of South Boston, bartaco is a popular Mexican eatery offering a variety of street-style tacos such as pork carnitas and chicken verde, as well as more upscale options like mushroom with queso fresco. In addition to tacos, the restaurant also serves other Mexican staples like street corn and rice bowls. The spacious venue provides indoor and outdoor dining options with stylish decor, creating a pleasant atmosphere for lunch or dinner.
If you're looking for a fresh, modern twist on Mexican cuisine, bartaco delivers in style. With unexpected touches like chopsticks at the table and bold, elevated flavors, this spot brings creativity to every bite. The hot sauces alone are worth the visit, but the real stars are the thoughtfully crafted tacos and shareable apps. Don’t be fooled by their size; these tacos pack serious flavor. The pork belly and shrimp options are standouts, and with a variety of unique combinations, there’s something for every palate. Pro tip: five tacos make a satisfying meal without overdoing it. Must-try items include the crisp, refreshing cucumber salad, the zesty shrimp ceviche, and the light, flavorful ahi tuna lettuce taco, each clearly the work of a chef who knows how to balance creativity with crave-worthy taste. And don’t sleep on the drinks. From house-made limeade to fresh, seasonal cocktails, bartaco rounds out the experience with just the right kick.

I stayed at the hotel right next door and the hotel staff recommended bartaco. For 7pm on Friday it was extremely crowded so seemed like the right choice. I was lucky to get a seat at the bar as the wait was 30 minutes. I ordered two different kind of shrimp tacos and pork belly. Pork belly was definitely the winner out of the three. Definitely was on the louder side since it was so crowded so for anyone that doesn’t prefer that scene I would plan to arrive earlier or sit outside so you can still enjoy the good tacos.

This place has a perfect combination of exceptionally good food and service. The tacos and drinks are crazy and lives to the name of restaurant “BarTaco”. With that name, you need to serve great tacos and drinks and this place nails it. The servers are very attentive and the GM - Samuel legit cares for the guests and will make genuine efforts to make your experience memorable. He treats everyone with respect and is super attentive even about tiniest details. The bartaco margarita spiced up is a must try. They celebrated the national tequila day by hosting DIY margaritas on July 24th. Will definitely visit again

Recommended by a friend and the place was amazing - both price and vibe wise. This place doesn’t take reservations but you can join their waitlist online to be sure of seating. Once we were seated, they gave us a menu to mark our orders. We got a taco teaser, green juice and watermelon mint margaritas, falafel tacos, cauliflower tacos, one chicken taco and a Baja fish taco - each and every single taco is a flavor bomb. The street corn and sauce on the taco teaser was amazing as well. The drinks were okayish - didn’t hit the right note. Vibes of this place is earthy, rustic utilitarian so that adds up to the whole experience. We called it a day with a tres leches cake - and oh my goodness, I never had one that good all across Boston! Highly recommend it. Other than that, the service is friendly and warm. Overall, had a nice time - recommend it for vegetarian options, cute dates, and fusion Mexican food.

The vibe is so nice and perfect for a date night, the service was fantastic as well. All the servers were informed of our allergies and were careful, patient, and attentive to ensure we had nothing to worry about! The tacos are very good, would most recommend the mojo pork and pork belly! The only thing I'd say was lacking were the drinks. For $14 it felt underwhelming, yummy but tasted more like juice than a cocktail! Overall great place and the service, food, and ambiance really make it stand out!

The food was good but the portion for the tacos were way too small. We hqd more tortillas than the actual filling. We had crispy shrump taco, falafel taco, summer duo. Order the crispy rice bowl, ahi tuna, it will be more filling. I also wish they had served wine in wine glasses other than liquor glasses. Also, we had to place our order on a piece of paper that the waitress collected. With the price we paid, why do I have to do the job hahaha I guess i am getting old.

My friend took me to this buzzing restaurant, and let me tell you, the energy was electric! We waited about 20 minutes, but it was worth it we even strolled around a bit before getting seated. Once we sat down, the menus were right in front of us, and it was so much fun to check off what we wanted. Pro tip: the tacos are small, so don’t be shy order a bunch! They were mouthwatering! I accidentally ordered from the kids' menu, and while the steak and chicken were drier, the lobster 🦞 with street corn and tortilla was a straight-up 10/10! Our server, Lana, was incredible so sweet and super helpful since it was our first time there. The food was to die for my friends dove into the duck and pork tacos, and they got everything you could dream of! 🔥😱 And then came dessert oh my goodness, it was a total game changer! We devoured two orders of churros and some fresh, homemade gelato. I couldn’t believe how delicious everything was; we wanted more but were just too stuffed! 😩🥹 I’m coming back for round two! I took videos, but I didn’t know I couldn’t post them, but I took snippet of the video!

Nestled in the heart of Jamaica Plain, Casa Verde Taqueria is a delightful haven for taco lovers and tequila enthusiasts alike. Whether you're craving vegetarian options like Adobo Tofu or Crispy Yuca, or classic favorites such as Fried Chicken and Beef Barbacoa, there's something to satisfy every palate. Solid spot for food and drink. drink deals are good ( Nitro Margarita Pitcher is a must) and the food has a good amount of flavor and quantity, especially the nachos which they’ve changed to a skillet and I love so much more! Shrimp taco was also flavorful, lots of citrus and loaded, though $6 isn’t great, I’ve spent more on worse. I’d say come here to get a drink and the nachos, you won’t be disappointed

Just had a great couple of tacos, the shrimp taco and the crispy tacos were amazing. The shrimp taco was just spicy enough to bring out the flavor of the shrimp. The crispy mushroom was absolutely a great choice. I did have a margarita made by Many, and it was exactly what I expected. Be back soon

The new menu is SO good. We’ve been regulars here for awhile but the new chef has really leveled things up. Some of our faves are the yucca fritters, elote, Spanish fried rice, and the best nachos ever. The vibe is very casual/fun but the food and cocktails are seriously great.

Wonderful dining experience in the JP area. We got the elote and the loaded patatas bravas. Both were excellent, but we especially enjoyed the elote. The vibe is immaculate too. Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu here! The space inside is a bit small, so ideal for smaller groups.

Change is not always good! I'm deeply disappointed how far down the quality of this restaurant has fallen. They changed the menu for some reason and forgot why people enjoyed eating here in the first place. Where are the Yuca tacos? The brussel sprouts tacos? Crispy pescado? Instead of tasty food, you now have food that looks frozen like their new fish tacos. And look at their tortillas as if from the corner store (I left my original picture to the left for comparison). I originally gave this place 5 stars, but now they get a 2, and I'm being generous. If you're looking for quality and creative food, look elsewhere.

Cósmica is a laid-back restaurant located in The Revolution Hotel, offering a delightful array of Mexican dishes and cocktails. Chef Colton Coburn-Woods infuses his Mexican-inspired cuisine with creativity, using ingredients like habanero, cocoa, chipotle, adobo chile, passionfruit, and guava to craft spicy, smoky, and sweet flavors. The menu features an assortment of seafood, steaks, pork, lamb, and chicken served on local organic corn tortillas.
Visited Cosmìca for a casual night out and had a great time. My partner tried the Cowboy’s Pet — a lovely, spiced tequila-based drink — and I went for the spicy margarita with a tajín rim, which was really good. Both cocktails were beautifully presented and picture-worthy. We shared four small plates and enjoyed them all, ranking favorites from garlic shrimp (the star of the night) to fish tacos, pork tacos, and then beef tacos. The atmosphere was inviting and added to the whole experience — a spot that’s perfect for drinks and tacos with friends or a date.

I initially liked the outdoor dining space, until I had to sit at a too small no leg room table. The service was spotty. We ordered margaritas 2/5 (weak), guacamole and chips 3/5, and duck and chicken enchiladas 4/5.

The food was muy rico 😀 Our waiter Andreas was super cool and friendly. He even allowed us to practice some Spanish with him. He was so patient when I was slaughtering the language of Cervantes. We selected a big plate, and a small one, along with Guac and chips. Everything was fresh and delicious; the portions are rather not huge for USA, but just the right size for Europe. The Mango Margarita was excellent; and if you are into beers, they do have some good old standard Mexican beers (not only Corona). (By the way, did you know that Germans brought the art of brewing beer to Mexico, and also accordion? Yeah watch some B-Movies guys)

Quite a disappointing experience! First and last time going there. First off, parking is a hassle. It is very limited 1hr or 2hr street parking. The place has a nice ambience but the AC is directly on some seats. Hostess was very welcoming. The food is just ok but quite pricy. Here are the main issues: Our waiter started with asking about drinks. We chose margaritas but then he asked with what tequila we want them and he recommended something himself. Guess what we ended up paying 46 dollars for two drinks. It went from 31 to 46 and he did not inform us about this. This was just the beginning. Then for main dishes we ordered a bunch including steak fajitas which on its own was 39. He suggested to add black beans and rice and we agreed. We were charged another 10 for that so 49 dollars for a fajitas dish!!! We asked for lemonade and he said what flavor and suggested strawberry and ended up adding an extra 2 dollars for that. Bottom line very dishonest and tricky business. I called the restaurant after to complain and the manager gave me 20 dollars refund. Oh one last thing. The shrimp was not cleaned properly and the guts were still in! Photo is included.

Barra, located in Somerville's Union Square, is a small but vibrant eatery that brings the flavors of Mexico City to its patrons. The menu features an array of delectable dishes such as guacamole with freshly fried chicharron, octopus tostada, cactus salad, and aguachile. Hand-pressed blue corn tortillas are a staple at Barra and are used in their top-notch tacos.
We came for dinner with a reservation, in early October. Food was excellent. I enjoyed the $2 crickets that you can add to your margarita. It is authentic Mexican food, not the tex-mex that you’re used to. I can’t wait to come back

I truly appreciate the value and quality of this product; it is definitely worth it. Finding a skilled and tasteful witch authoring in the area can be challenging, but this one truly stands out. The bartenders are sweet, and the cherry toppings are delightful—I really love it! I'm happy to support local businesses like this.

The food was amazing. We couldn’t stop ordering more plates. The scallop appetizer was so refreshing and delicious! They also have a shrimp weekend special that was just packed full of flavor. My husband had the Birria taco dish and I had to fight him to a bite. The mezcal drinks were also done very well, we loved it. Before we left, the owner gave us two shots on the house because she knew we were from out of town. This was such a great dining experience, highly recommend!!

While the food and cocktails were delicious and authentic I do agree with other reviewers that the portions are small. The tetela was unique and the tacos were so flavourful. Presentation was beautiful. But $10 for one taco is a bit steep. Many of the things on the menu were not available and we left slightly hungry.

Small plates Mexican restaurant with good service and a nice evening atmosphere. Food was quite good with fun flavor mixes. The drinks were excellent and I’d definitely return just to grab a drink sometime.
Danielle G — Google review
As others have said the food and alcohol selection is pretty great. I mean the mezcals they have on menu are quite phenomenal and different. The mezcal margarita was wonderful and spicy like I asked for. My one complaint was the salt the used for the rim, it was almost too salty which was really jarring. The food was delicious and quick. Guacamole, nice and creamy. The quesabirria was yummy and the vegetarian tacos were solid. I think my complaint is the same as everyone else's - pricing. 2 tacos for almost 20 bucks is high. Listen I get the idea of quality ingredients that lead to quality food, but I felt like this pushed a little too far on that idea. We'll certainly be back because we loved the space and the patio and the drinks, but not as frequently had the pricing been a bit more reasonable. Love the spot, highly recommend to anyone that wants quality Mexican food that reminds you of CDMX.

Cute Mexican restaurant with a cozy bar in the front room and more restaurant seating in the back and an outdoor patio. We came here for dinner and had the cochinita pibil plate and octopus tostada, both were delicious. The cochinita was especially excellent with the handmade tortillas that came on the side. The meat was tender and flavorful yet not too salty or greasy. We also had the regular margarita and the prickly pear margarita, both were great as well. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good Mexican bite and lively atmosphere.

Mexican restaurant
Rosa Mexicano is a modern Mexican restaurant chain that offers tableside guacamole, creative margaritas, and stylish surroundings. The Boston-based outpost of this popular eatery serves fresh, made-to-order guacamole and features 'Flavors of Mexico' specials with Mexican-influenced helados. The restaurant pays homage to traditional roots while incorporating regional accents into every dish through classic preparation, grilling, and seasoning.
This is our first time in Boston and we found this gem. Great food! Wonderful table side guac and lots of margerita options. My husband had the shrimp fajitas and I had chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. Very good!

My friends and I stopped by Rosa Mexicano in Boston Seaport after a boat cruise, it was conveniently within walking distance, which made it an easy choice. We got there around 10pm (they close at 11), and thankfully they were still seating and serving. Our server, Yasmina, was friendly and mostly attentive. That said, since it was close to closing time, the staff seemed to be in clean-up mode, so it took a little while to get her attention when we needed something. I ordered a frozen guava margarita, which was disappointing, it tasted more like grapefruit than guava, and definitely wasn’t what I was expecting. I also got the Birria Quesatacos. Flavor wise they were okay, but there were tough, big pieces of meat that made them hard to chew, and the birria sauce lacked flavor. One nice highlight of the night was that we were celebrating a friend’s birthday, and the staff brought out a complimentary birthday treat and sang to her (upon request). It was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Overall, Rosa Mexicano has a fun vibe and a great location for late-night eats in the Seaport. I loved the overall pink aesthetic as pink is my favorite color, but for me, the food and drinks fell a bit short.

The food was delicious. The interior was beautiful giving night club vibes. Our server was okay, they seemed distracted. Also they didn't check us in via our reservation so I had to email with open table a few times.

First trip to Boston and this was our first restaurant we visited and it was a delicious start to our trip. We ordered the Parrilladas and it was so much delicious food. Mote than enough for two. Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The only downside was we were too full to finish. We had three different salsas over the course of our meal and each one was absolutely delicious. Service was amazing and the restaurant is visually stunning.

Super fantastic Mexican restaurant in Boston. We loved the margaritas with the Grand Marnier. Tasty and strong. The cheese quesadilla had a special sauce to step it up a notch and we loved the Christmas tree in July. Would definitely come back here again.
Jim C — Google review
Had a decent meal here! The tacos and chicken enchiladas were all fine, but very one note. Felt on the more expensive end too and I’d be more likely to go to Citrus & Salt or bartaco instead. I would recommend the baja fish and the quesabirria tacos. The fried plantains were okay, but definitely needed more crema.
Alex I — Google review
The shrimp and corn were great but the chicken taco had zero flavor, not sure how they managed to suck out all semblance of flavor with something that looked so good...

Food was good They bring nachos and salsa to the table and guacamole per order However horrible acoustics. We could not have a proper conversation. Also took > 1.5 hours for a lunch

Located in Quincy Market, MIJA Cantina & Tequila Bar is a Mexican restaurant offering a cozy and candlelit ambiance. The bar takes their cocktails to the next level by adding unique twists like agave nectar, watermelon puree, and jalapeno pepper to their margaritas. Despite being overpriced for some visitors, the place offers delicious food and great drinks. The atmosphere is described as wonderful with good vegetarian options available on the menu.
Saturday, family night out, we’re at Quincy square, why not. 5 of us out for dinner, why not?! Good choice, food was good!! Service a tad slow, BUT, they were busy, so I definitely understand. If you’re hungry or even thirsty for that matter, stop in and give them a try!!! 5 of us with not one complaint! Good and drinks were good!!!

My fiancé was feeling very cold in there because of how the restaurant is set up. Dress warm or be prepared to leave your coat on during the cold months. The food was good, average Mexican food. We would definitely come back with kids or friends. Prices are little pricey but that is because they are in Faneuil Hall. The tacos were good and so was the elote. I wish they had more taco toppings.
Abri — Google review
The fishbowl drink was great. It’s basically one margarita for three people nice to share. We did not realize chips and salsa was not free. Seven dollars added onto the bill. 😆 There was an R&B event at this spot today however we had to pay five dollars to get in and they hardly played R&B music. It was mostly Dancehall. 😆
Kerri H — Google review
Food was delicious. We left full and satisfied. I love when the toppings on nachos cover all the chips! My husband ordered 3 tacos: ranked in order best to good —> Baja shrimp, carne asada, chicken tinga. The music was a little too loud for us and our server didn’t greet or acknowledge us besides taking our order and giving us the bill, but we are low maintenance customers so it doesn’t bother us.
Miranda P — Google review
Food was excellent, food service was quick but the drink service was very slow. Our drinks came about 2 minutes before our food did. Tacos and street corn were very good.
William L — Google review
A wonderful, authentic tequila bar experience. Sat around the bar, the margaritas really flow, with great choice of tequilas, and AMAZING margaritas. A great selection of Mexican beers too. I would really reccomend this bar for great food, drink and atmosphere.

Good. Lands! This was some GOOD food! We ordered two veggie burrito bowls - one with steak - and chicken Tinga nachos. Everything was fresh and delicious! Service was outstanding and I loved the open, outdoor-feeling of the restaurant. I felt like I was on an island enjoying authentic cuisine! Absolutely delicious and incredibly enjoying dinner!

Our server Juan Sebastian made what could have been a very nice lunch, very disappointing. Three of us got salads and two came without salad dressing and he literally made us wait 20 minutes to get salad dressing. It seemed like he was mad that we wanted salad dressing, which we don’t understand. Then he intentionally overcharged us. We know it’s intentional because of his response when we told him. The food was good, but he made it a very unenjoyable experience

Fajitas & 'Ritas is a vibrant and casual eatery that perfectly captures the essence of Tex-Mex cuisine. Known for its delightful frozen margaritas, this lively spot offers an extensive menu featuring beloved classics like enchiladas, tacos, and burritos, alongside unique dishes such as roasted salmon fillet. The cheerful ambiance is enhanced by colorful murals and warm decor that invites guests to relax and enjoy their meals.
A good Mexican outlet that has an amazing decor. Loved the artwork on their walls. They are also creative with their item names on the menu. I loved the veggie fajitas and the Mexican sunrise margarita. The service is top notch and the pricing is cheaper than other outlets in the area. The weekends usually see a large student population. Definitely recommended.

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. Not busy and we were seated right away. Service was prompt and pleasant. Complimentary chips and salsa was tasty and not fiery. We ordered beef fajitas, steak tacos, and a quesadilla. All were nice quantities and we liked the taste of everything. Prices are very reasonable. Full bar is available and atmosphere is casual with a rita bar funk... pleasantly surprised.

Others who have rated 4-5 stars , please don't get mad. I'm rating this place based on my exposure living in Mexico, TX, CA and FL. Maybe it's Boston Mexican cooking. The atmosphere is excellent, vibrant and exciting. Here goes the rest of my justifications for my rating. Our server came to us pretty quickly. Informed us he would get our drinks first. We ordered margaritas requesting no salt. Then, my daughter asked for water with lemon. The server asked if she wanted salt with the water. Quite confusing. She clarified just water with lemon. The margaritas are weak, both frozen and on the rock. Our food servings are of an adventures on its own. One of the dish, chic quesadilla came with no sour cream, pico, quac..condiments. my steak tacos was unusual, served with red cabbage. Steak was under seasoned, so was the quesadilla. Another order of fajitas was extremely under seasoned, tasted like bare grilled steak. Btw, I've to be the server in order to get the condiments, water, etc. Otherwise, we will either not get our food or get the wrong thing due to our very confused server. Portions are small. Prices are Boston's pricing. So, if you wish to experience mediocre Mexican, go for it!

Really enjoyed my lunch here. The nachos were free and plentiful and then the portions were huge! I bought the 8 wings (they gave me 9 and I ate 5!) and I had the small soup of the day which was delicious. Recommended.

Decent Mexican outlet with an extensive drinks menu. The found however was just mediocre. Service was slow and could have been better. The complimentary chips and salsa are served hot which was great. The jalapeño poppers were good but the chicken wings lacked flavouring
Faiz K — Google review
The food (pulled pork tacos) was really disappointing it tasted like it was stored in a warm dusty living room - not many chicken options which stinks - the drink I got also tasted like straight vodka. But the whole atmosphere is pretty upbeat
Jewls R — Google review
This can definitely be a fun place to drink margaritas and beers with friends, but the food isn't particularly great. I would say come here for the drinks, and perhaps split and appetizer or two. Regardless of what you do, I think the atmosphere is fun and the prices are super reasonable (especially for Boston).
Alex S — Google review
This place is the place to be when you’re craving those frozen Margaritas! I love frozen drinks in particular, I love their strawberry mango and if your feeling bold thrown in a corona on top and make it a coronarita! They have good sized pitchers that serves about 2 margaritas per person for $18. I highly recommend their fajitas the steak ones are goals when it comes to seasoning, if you order things on the side be prepared to be handed a family side portion, we had a bucket full of jalapeños on the side that we didn’t know what to do with by then end of our meal. This place is great for appetizers and plates before a night out and the drinks are very cheap compared to any other place that sells margaritas (they usually don’t go for less than $10 believe me I know) here you can get a frozen marg for about $7. Your welcome.

Felipe's Taqueria is a popular spot in Harvard Square, known for its made-to-order Mexican food and Latin cocktails. It's a casual counter-serve eatery that draws in both Harvard students and local 20-somethings. The restaurant offers tasty takeout burritos and delicious dishes of nachos that patrons can enjoy on the festive roof deck overlooking the bustling streets below.
Felipes is a great spot for a quick bite, and likely a great marg--although I haven't had one yet, I've heard good things. The burritos I've had are really good. They assemble them quickly, have a lot of options to choose from, and the price is reasonable. There's outdoor seating, including a roof top experience. Just a heads up that there can be bees that try to enjoy your food and beverages. Go enjoy yourself with some great food at Felipes!
Nick A — Google review
A Harvard square classic - the nachos and burritos are delicious. To be honest, I think the quality has gone down through the years, nachos used to have a lot more cheese and you’re charged way too highly for extras like veggies or guac. Rooftop is awesome
Cami T — Google review
We stopped here for dinner and tried three chicken dishes a chimichanga, a burrito, and a bowl. The bowl was just okay, not very impressive, but the burrito and chimichanga were much better. The place has a rooftop, which is nice, but it was really noisy when we visited. Decent food, but not the best spot if you’re looking for a quiet dinner.
Kanugo N — Google review
Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Your better than average fast food option for burritos, tacos, and more! Food is fresh and they have many options. I personally love their steak quesadillas but my friends usually get their burrito. It’s always packed in here as it’s situated in the heart of Harvard Sq. Sometimes you have to walk around and wait for a table. You’ll find this is a popular spot amongst college students—especially late at night. There are two lines to order, one at each side of the counter and lines move pretty quick. Plus there is a bar on the first floor and a rooftop bar as well. Seating spans on both the 1st and 2nd floor. If you visit Cambridge you gotta try this place.
Michelle M — Google review
We came here during the busiest time of their service. Heard the rooftop bar was a must-do and would have been had half of it not been closed down for an event. Not their fault, just bad timing. This is one of those places where if you applied they are quite legitimate in asking if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, lol. Thought, maybe we escaped the college crowd, but I think they started flowing in to town for a while, so it was tight. Their food was decent, but ordering was super hectic, again just bad timing. Try it once, just make sure to find out about peak hours. I imagine dinner time like 6pm +/- 1.5 hours will be packed. Managed to order a drink from the roof bar, a paloma, which was not so great; not sure what they used for the grapefruit flavor, but it def tasted much strongly of tequila, which of course is what you want. Try it, but be warned.

Visiting my home town from out of state I figured I'd try Felipe's. Annas was the go to growing up but I'd heard they have declined since I've been in the area. I got steak burrito and my girlfriend got a veggie burrito. Whatever letters they put on the burritos we couldn't read but one of them was considerably bigger than the other, so we figured that had to be the steak. My girlfriend started eating hers and about a third of the way through handed it to me, showed me a piece of meat inside and said "is that steak??" I figured there was no way that she made it that far without realizing it was a steak burrito and asked "I'm sorry did you actually eat any of it?"she just said nope, that was the first piece.. We initially thought that maybe a piece of steak had gotten into her burrito which would have not been a problem. Unfortunately upon further inspection it turns out it was the smallest and most pathetic steak burrito ever made. Not even exaggerating, it was a miniscule. It was a child size burrito with maybe five pieces of steak throughout the entire thing.. I honestly don't even know if it was that much. I kept searching each bite hoping to get some but finished the thing still hungry and extremely disappointed. I ended up having to eat some of my girlfriend's burrito so I wouldn't go hungry. Considering I had just spent $16 and ended up with something that should have cost half that amount It was pretty infuriating. It might be my fault for ordering pickup, but between all 3 things we ordered we spent about 40+ dollars. The service when picking up left a lot to be desired. The people on the line looks agitated and the bigger manager looking guy was pretty rude. I asked for a few limes for everybody and he gave me a quarter of a lime for everyone to share. And did so with a pretty shitty attitude. I will say the few small decent bites I got tasted pretty good. Its unfortunate they ripped me off. Thanks for the bad experience Felipe's.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - “Great” Service 🙋‍♂️ The service at Burro Bar South End was energetic and attentive. Our server, brimming with enthusiasm, ensured we received our orders on time and were well taken care of throughout our meal. Although I felt he could have checked in a bit more frequently, his overall attentiveness and vibrant personality added to the positive dining experience. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Decor 🎨 I have a particular fondness for places like Burro Bar South End, which strike the perfect balance between upscale casual and cozy comfort. The ambiance is lively, with reggaeton music setting a vibrant tone in the main area. The semi-patio room is a standout feature, offering a covered space that remains enjoyable regardless of the weather. The decor is tasteful and homey, steering clear of overly stereotypical themes. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable and welcomed. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Food 🍽️ The food at Burro Bar South End hit all the right notes for me. The menu offers appropriately priced dishes with generous portion sizes and great flavors. I opted for a taco salad, which was delicious and satisfying. My girlfriend enjoyed two tacos: Sirloin Steak and Swordfish al Pastor, both of which she found wonderful. Our friends ordered enchiladas and a chimichanga, and while I didn’t get photos of their dishes, they seemed very pleased. The food is good to great—nothing overly fancy but perfectly executed. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 In Retrospect 🤔 Reflecting on our visit, Burro Bar South End stands out as a fantastic dining spot in Boston. The energetic service, welcoming decor, and delicious food make it a place I’d love to revisit. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal with friends or a lively spot for a date, this restaurant ticks all the boxes. Final Verdict: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - “Great” Catchy One-Liner: “Burro Bar South End: Energetic vibes, cozy decor, and delicious bites make it a must-visit in Boston.”

First time trying their bottomless brunch here. We were afraid portions would be too big but actually they're slightly smaller than usual tapas plates. Some of our favorites were the Mexican street corn, fish tacos, French toast and strawberry waffles (they come in a quarter piece). The bloody Mary and raspberry mojotis were both delicious. Not a big menu and a few items were very similar. Most of the food felt prepared and sitting there ahead of time as they didn't come out hot. The ambiance was nice and chill. Would recommend making reservations. Our server was nice and attentive and let us keep ordering without any issues.

I came here on Sunday for the bottomless brunch and loved all the options available. I love a reasonably priced tapas menu that makes trying multiple things in small portions simple. My friend and I loved the shrimp tacos, pork tacos, kale salad, and the quesadilla! Definitely going back for another bottomless brunch…even if just for the tacos. 😋 The service was good, but there were long gaps between ordering and even getting our plates, though the restaurant didn’t seem busy imo, so be patient!

Definitely tourist area. Food was not great at all. Patio is really squished and ended up having to sit at a table right up against a family with 2 small children that kept yelling at us to leave them alone but yet we were not even paying attention to them its just how close the tables were. You have a nice water view if you dont have another table so close blocking you. Food was honestly not great at all. Did not finish my tacos and the salsa was so ketchup tasting. The only decent thing was the margaritas

I've been coming here since the 80s. My family used to come here for our birthdays every year. One of the best things was the complimentary chips and salsa. You would get a huge basket of chips and a nice big bowl of salsa. Now it's $8.95, and it's a quarter of the size. Now I have no problem with paying, but damn give a better portion. The staff is super friendly and we love them all. Back in the day, they used to give you a nice Mexican birthday serenade with live music at your table.

Firstly, their chips and salsa were amazing and really one of the best I have ever had. It was really fresh and delicious. Drinks were amazing with lot of booze in it. Steak, beans, salads, cheese, chicken, beef, tacos and everything was great and really well cooked. Definitely a great place to visit and customer service was fantastic they were very polite, funny and friendly. Little pricey but it's in the busy Brookline Beacon Street. Will definitely visit again 😊😊😊😊👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏

Guy Fieri's Tequila Cocina is a vibrant spot located in the Hub on Causeway complex near TD Garden. The menu offers a mix of Mexican dishes, including the famous Trash Can Nachos, small and large plates like tacos, roasted pork shank, and crispy whole snapper. The restaurant boasts an extensive selection of tequilas, with the option to sample different varieties through a flight.
We finally had time to swing in for dinner before our concert. Made an early reservation & glad we did. Within 15 minutes of opening there was not an open seat & only minimal standing room at the bar. We were seated immediately & our waitress was very personable, classy, fast & always stopping by to make sure we were all good. Drinks were some of the best, crispy pork belly almost had us falling out of our seats, SO GOOD. Taco's, fajitas & burrito were world class! It's a long trip for us "rednecks" but we will be back even if the main purpose of the trip is to hit the Tequila Cocina!!

Decided to pop in after a basketball game over the weekend. The drinks were good but I wasn’t impressed by the menu at all. The options were limited, charging 7 dollars per taco that were extremely small. Guy always talks about “flavor town” but none of the items really had any. It was all kind of basic in the end. For drinks, this a good spot but the food isn’t worth it in my opinion.

Firstly, I was surprised how delicious the food was here, and impressed with the presentation. I felt the portions were large and the price was decent. My drink was good, not amazing but definitely good. Food was yummmmmmmm. I would 100 percent return. Staff was also quite pleasant.

Was worried based on other reviews I WAS SO WRONG! Fantastic service from the moment we walked in... on a sold out concert night! Solid favorites that were so wicked wonderfully tasty. I'm a vegetarian, and our server helped me navigate the menu (chorizo on the side for nachos.. the borracho beans are vegetarian friendly... the cauliflower quesadilla is simply divine). Great portions, great atmosphere, great food! Will definitely return and recommend. (Try the hot sauce too. Wish that was in stores!)

Surprisingly disappointed. I thought since this was the famous chef Guy Fieri's place the food would be awesome. NOT! The food is just the run of the mill pub food and too expensive. our bill came to $107 with no alcoholic beverages for 3 people. The waitress came back to our table once our food was served and said sorry for not checking on you guys sooner. Will not order the same items again. Its sad that a famous chef name is attached to the restaurant. Maybe next time I will stick to a burger.

I’m pretty sure people come on here just to give bad reviews because they have something against Guy as a TV personality for whatever reason. I’ve been to three of his restaurants now, that all have below 4-star ratings on Google, and the food has been delicious every single time. It’s not gourmet fine dining. It’s big, bold flavorful food that’s always prepared well. Basically, exactly what you’d expect from a restaurant owned by Guy. Don’t let the bad reviews deter you. You’ll be missing out on some delicious food!

We had no intention of coming here, but when you are an hour early to the show, what else are you going to do? Only steps from the main entrance to the Garden so we had no fear of getting lost or running late. We had a party of 5. 2 kids, 3 adults. We were pleasantly surprised with everything we ordered from the drinks to the entres. Excellent atmosphere. Comfortable seating. Plenty of restrooms and very clean. We appreciated the child friendly entertainment of Disney movies playing during dinner instead of sports or inappropriate alternatives. They even had the music themed to the event we were attending which definitely helped get us in the mood. Good job Guy! Tuna Tartare, Smash Burger, Chicken Quesadilla, Cholupas, margaritas, prosecco, and their special kids drink of the night: frozen pink lemonade. We were even happy with the price. Definitely coming back.

😎how many times have you been to this place? 3 ✨ambience: spacious, loud, and casual atmosphere. 🌮food: ordered taco and wings. better than my expectation (based on the reviews I read). 🍸drink: margarita was an excellent choice! 💬service: we sat on the bar. the bartender was friendly and easy to talk to. 💁🏻‍♀️would I revisit this place? Yes - occasionally.

Lolita Fort Point is a Mexican-inspired restaurant and tequila cantina located in a prime waterfront spot. The interior boasts dim lighting, red chandeliers, and murals, creating a macabre yet captivating atmosphere. On the other hand, the outdoor patio offers bright and airy views of the waterfront. Guests can enjoy grilled street corn, guacamole, tacos, and an array of tequila while taking in the scenic waterfront vistas.
We celebrated our daughter’s 16 birthday with her friends at Lolita’s - it was a wonderful night. The vibe was very cool and the DJ was great; the food was delicious and authentic as always. But what made the night so special was the service. Our waitress Xiomara was amazing - she was attentive, patient and charming - she took great care of the girls! We really appreciated the extra attention from the restaurant staff (and kitchen) which made this night so memorable.

I met a friend for a late brunch at this Mexican themed restaurant. The place is enormous, with large indoor and outdoor waterfront seating. Even though it was very busy, our server was very attentive. My friend ordered the Broken Eggs and she loved them. I had the steak tacos and I found them to be a bit dry. The churros for dessert were excellent and I loved the chocolate dip. The vibe is very cool here and I would definitely recommend this place.

So much fun! 🎉 It’s a bit of an adventure to find Lolita, but once you do, it’s totally worth it. The atmosphere is great, and the menu is full of creative dishes, it’s hard to choose just one! The Spicy Artichoke Empanadas were delicious, filled with jalapeño yum yum, pickled corn, queso fresco, and chickpeas. They had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. The Hot Queso Dip (oaxaca, jack & cheddar, green chili, cilantro, taco spice) was the one miss for me. I was hoping for bolder flavor. The Spicy Yucca Fritter Tacos were amazing, enchilada mayo, smoked habanero cheddar, and citrus cucumber slaw made for the perfect combo! That said, $17 for two small tacos felt a bit steep. On the flip side, the Mushroom Quesadilla was massive, packed with red chili mushrooms, smoky poblano relish, jalapeño yum yum, and queso chihuahua. It was flavorful, satisfying, and a great value, we had to take half home! Overall, Lolita delivers a fun dining experience with bold flavors and a unique twist on Latin-inspired dishes. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu! Check out the decor!

This was an excellent and wonderful experience we had today. It was a family outing because it was our 9-year-old son's birthday. We weren’t very sure about going, but it turned out to be an excellent family option. From the moment we arrived, the hosts Kevin and Sophia were very kind. They greeted us with a smile and accompanied us to our table, where our server Jaime provided excellent service. He was very friendly and explained the entire menu with great familiarity, offering helpful recommendations. These small things make all the difference on a family outing. Thank you so much for everything. We will definitely be back soon and will recommend it to others!"

I am not a Mexican food lover and don’t know how authentic Mexican food taste. But the service, vibe, and everything of this place is worth a great rating. A bit pricy but makes sense giving its excellent location with sea views. Outdoor tables enjoy the views, indoor seating enjoy a quiet private space. Everything we ordered was decent. Some dishes excellent and some okay. Although the duck taquito was disappointedly small, you go get full with a single dish. Server refilled our water all the time and we got complementary candy.

Lolita's is a Boston must for elevated Mexican cuisine. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is amazing. It's underground, dark and intimate. I found the chairs a bit uncomfortable. We ordered a lot but definitely order the following: - Los Tres which are 3 different types of guacamole (the portions could've been bigger - Beef Gorditos very savory and surprisingly filling given the portion suze - Bubu Lubu Cheesecake which is so amazingly rich you could split it among 4 people This was my second time going there and would definitely go anytime I'm in Boston.

I’d been to this place once before and sat outside at the bar. Sat inside this time and loved this place even more! Our server Idha was worth the experience in and of itself! She was great - super friendly, attentive to our needs, patient, and everything an exemplary server should be. We got the especial guacamole, which I have to say was probably my favorite thing I’ve tried here so far! Would highly recommend!! The Baja shrimp quesadilla was good, but very unique in flavor. Definitely pairs well with sour cream. The duck taquitos were also excellent - would highly recommend those too! They start and end the meals with very neat dishes. The starter is similar to an Italian ice and is to clean the palate. Then the meal ended with an incredibly large cotton candy. Great meal and experience! If you go, request Idha! She’ll make your dining experience a great one!!
Maddie R — Google review
The reviews don’t do this place justice! We had an early dinner here, and just the walk through the mini-tunnel next to the water to get inside was beautiful. The ambiance is a cross between a speakeasy and a ballroom, beautiful and mysterious! We had the Birria Steak Quesadillas (quesabirria), fish tacos, and the chocolate strawberry cheesecake. Both the dessert and entrees were outstanding, I highly recommend the quesadilla for both flavour and quality. The dry-ice guava palate cleanser and the cotton candy dessert were nice complimentary touches that I’ve never seen before, well done! One of the better highlights of Boston, and a must visit! P.s, try to go outside during sunset so you can catch a view of the sun setting on the water, just right outside!

La Cantina, a beloved fixture in Somerville for over 25 years, offers an unforgettable experience that combines vibrant atmosphere with exceptional cuisine. Known for its unique cocktails like the Smoked Cactus—a delightful mix of blanco tequila, mezcal, prickly pear puree, and citrus—this spot is perfect for those looking to unwind after a night out. The lively ambiance features dancing and live music that creates an uplifting vibe.
We were there on a Saturday night celebrating a birthday. To our surprise they had live music. It was amazing it really added to the experience. Food was good, our server Yuliana was very nice really attentive. Overall a nice experience definitely different than other places.

Great place. Cool vibe and nice service. For sure I'll be back. Good food too. The only nitpick is the free chips and salsa, I liked the chips but not the salsa. Other than that the main food was great. Also, they have angry orchard cider on tap and not the local Downeast cider which is my go to. A second nitpick. Also a fun place to go with friends or family
Eric S — Google review
Good Vibes, But a Bit Too Loud for Dinner Conversation The ambiance is pleasant, with stylish décor that adds a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. However, the music was extremely loud during our visit—almost club-level—which made it difficult to hold a conversation. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy lively music, but a slightly lower volume would make for a more balanced dining experience. Service can vary depending on who’s attending, and parking is limited to metered street spots, which can be a bit of a challenge. All in all, it’s a decent spot with potential. With a small adjustment to the volume, it could certainly make the experience better.

First time here on a weekend trip. It was just down the road from the Airbnb. The Chef got us into seating at the bar and made sure we were comfortable. The bar staff was fantastic and friendly. Food was out of this world. The live music was good but made it difficult to hear each other. The atmosphere was fun and lively. Will definitely go back if we are in the area.

We visited on a saturday night around 11pm after a concert and when we got there, the atmosphere was AMAZING. People were dancing, there was live singing and it was just incredibly uplifting. We sat at the bar and we were served by probably the best bartender ever; Nicolás, and he not only gave us the best food recommendations, but he also made our night just perfect, give than man a raise!!! The location is one of the best qualities! If you are lucky you can sit out in the deck in the nicer weather for a beautiful view right on the water. The food was decent. The margaritas were great! Was having a family dinner, it was a family favorite due to the service!
Yvia P — Google review
Just not worth it. This place is unreasonably expensive. I just paid $14.50 for a tortilla soup. That is a lot for a soup in any event, but particularly when it arrives in a very small serving, no chips. It tasted fine enough but not for that price for that quantity. Guacamole is $19!! They must clearly know they are outrageous because they dont include the price in the menu by the hostess. Server was at least very nice.
Giannina M — Google review
I wasn't able to order a margarita through the online menu because it listed that they were out of stock of all tequilas but one, and it wouldn't let me select that one either. When the waitress brought our food, she was able to place the order for us though. The salsa and chips had a distinct flavor, individually they were a little weird but together it actually worked. The chicken on my nachos seemed like maybe it was dumped out of a Swanson's can. When I finally did get the margarita, it was actually pretty good.

Came here for the first time, and let's just say that the outside sitting area was great. Good view of boston Harbor (you'll see in the video). The food/drinks were good, but not the greatest I had. The inside ambiance was good, with a dj spinning some good 2000s vibes.
Mesa — Google review
I ordered from the kiosk, which is fine. No one ever came to the hostess desk while I waited for my order. A woman came out from the back and asked me a question, but never looked at me. I had to ask her if she was talking to me. I couldn’t understand her Jamaican accent. It wasn’t very long of a wait, but for $20, it wasn’t enough chips, salsa, and guacamole. It would’ve been nice to have been greeted.
Natalie A — Google review
The prices are unreasonable for the portions provided. A $19 serving of chips and salsa comes with 3oz of salsa. Service was good. Unfortunate. Not recommended.
K S — Google review
I got a quesadilla that should have had lime chicken, cheese, grilled onions and peppers. It had chicken that tasted like it came out of can and then soaked in lime juice. It had cheese. No onions or peppers. It came with 8 (I counted) tortilla chips as the side. I saw one staff person who brought me a water after I asked. Nothing else between the time I sat down and left. I accept that airport food is overpriced and uninspired, but at least try. Avoid this place no matter what.

Restaurant
OAK Long Bar + Kitchen is a sophisticated dining spot located in the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel, offering farm-to-table American cuisine and craft drinks. The restaurant boasts a stunning patio with picturesque views, making it perfect for snapping selfies while enjoying cocktails like the Curious George. Inside, guests can admire the original coffered ceilings and enjoy top-notch bartenders. The menu features delectable dishes such as chocolate-glazed pancakes, smoked salmon pizza, and Maine lobster roll.
I recently visited this place for lunch with my friedn, and the experience was delightful. The food was exceptional (see photos), with creative and flavorful dishes that exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was also charming, with a cozy and inviting ambiance that made it a pleasure to dine. However, the service was a bit slow, with a noticeable wait between courses. Additionally, the selection of non-alcoholic beers was limited, which was a bit disappointing. Despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend this place for lunch. The food and atmosphere are well worth the visit, and the staff was friendly and attentive. With a bit more attention to service and beverage selection, this restaurant could easily become a top lunch destination.
Marat Y — Google review
My recent dining experience at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen was overall very good, highlighted by delicious food and a warm, inviting atmosphere that made for a pleasant evening. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance stood out — cozy lighting, comfortable seating, and a lively yet relaxed vibe that perfectly suits a special night out or a casual dinner with family. The food was the real star of the evening. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The grilled shrimp was exceptional — perfectly cooked and seasoned. The lobster roll was rich and satisfying, while the grilled chicken was tender and juicy. The bouillabaisse offered a nice mix of seafood flavors, and the warm sourdough bread was a comforting start to the meal. For dessert, the chocolate mousse was decadent, but the skillet cookie truly stole the show — warm, gooey, and packed with chocolate. It was the perfect sweet ending. However, the service left something to be desired. Our waitress was often hard to find, and the pacing of the meal could use improvement — all the dishes arrived at once, rather than being served in the usual appetizer-to-entrée order. A bit more attention and coordination from the staff would have elevated the experience even further. Despite the service hiccups, I would definitely recommend OAK Long Bar + Kitchen for its excellent food and inviting atmosphere. With a little improvement in service, it could easily become one of the best dining experiences in the city.

I could smell amazingly delicious food walking by and decided to drop in. Sat at the bar which is a very comfortable seat and VERY close proximity to others when busy (but still nice). Grey goose martini was perfect. Smoked bluefish pate was amazing. Beef tartare was oddly mayonnaise forward to my pallete.

We stopped by the restaurant and were seriously impressed. The burger was absolutely amazing juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The fries were just as good crispy and seasoned just right. We also tried the cookie skillet for dessert and it was delicious: warm, gooey, and the perfect sweet ending. The bread they brought out was fresh and fluffy, and paired perfectly with the honey butter, honestly, we could have eaten a whole basket of it alone. Service was top-notch from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just in the area, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

We had a wonderful dining experience! Our server, Xavier (or Hervé), was very helpful, charming, and a pleasure to chat with. The seafood bouillabaisse was outstanding and paired wonderfully with an Italian Pinot Grigio. The ambiance perfectly captures the essence of the Fairmont brand, blending deep historical roots with old-world luxury and a touch of modern flair. Definitely a memorable meal!

We had a weekend stay at The Copley. Amazing hotel and service. Friday night drinks were fantastic! Great mixologist and exceptional service. Breakfast was good, service average. Saturday night dinner fell short of our expectations. Our server missed our appetizer all together and there was no attempt other than a simple apology to make it right for us. Service was below average. There is an opportunity for a more elevated and personalized experience.
Lynne M — Google review
To be honest, we were quite disappointed with the service we received when dining at Oak Long Bar & Kitchen. We were seated at one of the reserved tables for a 9pm reservation (I’ve been to the bar many times but this was my first time at a table). Over the course of an hour, our server came to our table every 5 or so minutes. She pushed us to order more food and also pushed us to close our tab at 9:30, saying that she “clocked out at 10” (the implication was that she wanted to make sure she got her tip). For a 9pm reservation, it felt completely ridiculous to be pushed through our meal from the moment she came to our table. We spoke to management regarding the situation and they took 2 drinks off our total bill (we were a group of 5) but truly left with a bad taste in our mouths. I was beyond excited to finally sit down and have the “full experience” here but I’m not sure I’ll ever return after this.

Yvonne's is a sophisticated yet lively supper club located in a stylish hideaway adorned with marble and mahogany wood. This downtown hotspot continues the tradition of its predecessor, Locke-Ober, by hosting an annual holiday lunch filled with glamour and modern interpretations of classic dishes. The restaurant offers elegant fare such as prime rib chop, black-truffle roast chicken, and the impressive lobster Savannah. Reservations are a must for this popular event.
Great atmosphere perfect for a romantic date and the tapas style menu also makes it a great location for social gatherings. Service was incredible. Our server was able to answer our questions on the menu and also provided the best wine recommendations. With two of us we found that a snack, a social plate, and the smaller tuna feast was perfect for us. We had the smoked ricotta fritters, Moroccan lamb belly, crispy tuna fregola, and finally the basque cheesecake. All of the food was fabulous, wish we could have tried their stone fired pitas as those also looked quite delicious.

Stopped by with the wife for a drink per a recommendation from our hotel lobby. This place did not disappoint. The bar staff was absolutely amazing and really went out of their way to take care of us. After finding out it was for an anniversary they had some food sent out for us to try. The drinks were incredible and the steak tartar was so unique and delicious.

TLDR: Much better as a pre or post-dinner drinks place. Don't get food here. Ambience: Gorgeous space, dark and intimate. Perfect for date nights. It is located in kind of a sketchy alleyway. We had no issue, but a brisk, purposeful speed walk is recommended to get to the restaurant. Food: Disappointing, except the tuna crudo, which was absolutely standout, delicious flavours and textures. Softshell crab felt really "heavy" because it's fried, with grits/mashed potato at the bottom. This needs to be paired with a sauce instead. Little leaf salad lacks flavour and dressing. Pita was dry, hard and salty. Viper chop was slightly dry and salty. Couldn't even bear to get dessert. The mocktails and cocktails we ordered were delicious! Service: We went on Thursday evening, our server was nice but nothing to write home about. I called at 5:30 PM on Thursday evening to (very politely) adjust my reservation and the lady who picked up the phone had the absolutely worst attitude I've ever seen; I've never seen this kind of behaviour at any restaurant, let alone somewhere as upscale as here.

The special architectural design with chic, classic, modern, and warm look entertained by Latin House music made the atmosphere perfect!! I was in the library room, but other rooms were just as stunning! Honestly, this restaurant makes you feel beautiful! This restaurant is worth dressing up for! 💜

10/10 Really amazing food, amazing service and great atmosphere. We arrived for 5pm and were seated straight away. Our server Espeana was straight over and we were made to feel so welcomed instantly. It’s small plates and we had 4 between 2 of us. We had the Seared Hallumi Cheese, Lazy Lobster dumplings to share, and then we decided to have a Pita each to fill ourselves up. I had the Gobi Manchurian and my partner had the Sujuk. Both really good. Our favourite meal out in a long time. Really recommend.

I’ve enjoyed coming to Yvonne’s over the years. It definitely has the best ambiance of any restaurant in Boston - chic, stylish, and full of character. The dishes are solid, though not mind-blowing, and the service is decent. For two people with one drink each, the bill typically comes out to around $200. But honestly, it’s the atmosphere that keeps me coming back.

Highland Kitchen, located in Somerville, MA, USA, is a lively and charming eatery that offers an upbeat scene with a unique fusion of Southern-inspired comfort food and creative cocktails. The restaurant is known for its inventive cuisine heavily influenced by Southern comfort food. It's the perfect spot to enjoy heartwarming dishes prepared with a creative twist.
This was everything we were looking for and more! It’s been on my son‘s list to try, so glad we finally made it. We started with the Ricotta Mozzarella Fritters, warm gooey deliciousness. Our entrees were the Veggie Jambalaya and the Blackened Catfish Po’Boy. Both were absolutely scrumptious. Great cocktail and beer selection. Everything about our evening was wonderful from start to finish. Excellent food, service and a very welcoming neighborhood vibe. Highland kitchen will definitely be added into our rotation of favorites.

It's a cozy place. We went on Friday and it was pretty loud. We got roasted chicken and goat stew. Both were pretty good. No real complaints. It's like Southern comfort food. We also got the bread pudding. The bread pudding was delicious. Giving it four stars for service because they didn't refill our water :(.

We took a walk to the Highland Kitchen from our hotel. It was definitely worth it. We were greeted promptly, and pur service was friendly. They provided us a place to park our stroller out of the way, and it never felt like an inconvenience. They provided a high chair and offered a coloring sheet with crayons. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was very well done. I was also happy to have malt vinegar with my fries. The food was hot and fresh. My husband ordered the monkfish special. While it wasn't his favorite, we could tell it was fresh. The pretzel was ok, but the beer cheese dip was fresh and flavorful. The broccolini was good. There was music playing, and the atmosphere was nice even for a family with kids.

It’s a standard American bar, with a cool ambiance when the music is turned up! The food seemed to be themed around the south, with a lot of food evoking New Orleans. I got the veggie jumbalaya, which I quite enjoyed as a whole, though the long veggies (carrots, etc) threw me off a bit. I wish it had come with cornbread like the spicy (meat) jumbalaya. The blackened catfish po’ boy was also quite good and I’m sure I would have been quite happy with that as well. A couple members of our party got the spicy Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and they definitely aren’t kidding with the warning - it is spicy!

Well, I think one would expect more than barely two chunks of meat in the high praised goat stew. And I'm also hoping this hair looking strand I found on the vegetable didn't belong to a human. On to the taste, while the flavor of the curry was decent, the coconut was certainly overshadowed. The plantain pieces were fried to perfection and balanced out the curry spice, but I doubt one would order a stew just for the plantains. Overall, if I ordered a main course, I would expect to be at least full from it.

This restaurant is always crowded and very loud. However, the food was excellent. We had the Bavarian pretzel (very good), Buffalo Chicken sandwich & fries, and salmon special with avocado & pineapple salsa. My son said the fries were excellent. They also have an extensive drink menu. I enjoyed a mango, rum & ginger beer cocktail. Tables are very close together, so hard to maneuver and to talk. They have an inventive menu & old standbys. You will find something for everyone. Great service despite the crowd. Our waitress did a great job. I would go back again.

One of my favorite restaurants in the state. Been coming here for years. Food is excellent and the bar makes good drinks. The curried goat stew is not to be missed as well as their margarita

Tu y Yo is a low-key mexican restaurant that specializes in slow-cooked Mexican dishes. The menu has a variety of home-style Mexican dishes, all made from scratch. Camaron con pulpo (shrimp with octopus) is a popular appetizer at Tu y Yo.
The Chicken Breast in Poblano Chili Sauce (Pechuga en Salsa de Chile Poblano), the Green Enchiladas, the Mexican Street Corn, and the sides of homemade Black Beans are delicious and definitely the standout dishes! They’re incredibly flavorful and authentically prepared. It’s definitely the best Mexican restaurant in Boston. The Tacos de Birria are another great choice!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Boston area! They offer elevated versions of familiar dishes but also have unique ingredients and combinations. All the dishes and flavors were superb! Staff was also very friendly and helpful! Love this place!

Great food at an affordable price! The fish tacos were my favorite, and my partner loved the birria tacos. The tamale sampler is definitely worth getting as well - fun to try a few different flavors. The staff was also exceptionally friendly and helpful

Good food, not cheap but not too expensive. Strong flavors. Really flavorful peppers. Overcooked meat. Asked for medium rare, got well done.

Starting with a positive: Sangria was strong. That helped. When we left this place, my date said, "Well, I think we can safely say that was one of the most disgusting places we've ever been on a date." Not a great place to take a date fellas .... If someone told me it was actually Chilean, I'd ponder the thought longer than calling it Mexican. Food tasted more like top-notch dog treats. Chicken, orange juice and tomato sauce? When we received our plates, we were surprised how unlike the menu description they were. Margaritas were unfinishable. Rice tasted several days to weeks old. Portions were lackluster. Service was friendly and amenable. Could tell wait staff was trying, but needed better ingredients and kitchen prep to back them up. At half the price, this would be a solid place for a college lunch.

This was our first time eating at Tu Y Yo and absolutely won’t be our last. As a Californian, I’ve had my fair share of stellar Mexican food, but this place was phenomenal. We ordered tamales (5), soup, a carnitas plate, cactus juice, and avocado cheesecake. My gosh. You know a place is bomb when all you want to eat is their rice and beans. The tamales were extremely moist, the soup was flavorful, the carnitas was tender, and the dessert was rich and not too sweet. All their food was fresh, delicious, and very authentic tasting. Will absolutely be back! Also their in-house hot sauce is extremely good.

Anna's Taqueria is a popular local Mexican chain known for its authentic and delicious burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. With six locations across town, Anna's offers a variety of savory fillings such as grilled chicken, steak, carnitas, and more to satisfy your taco addiction. The assembly line-style setup allows you to customize your meal with all the toppings you desire.
No long line, quick service and the best tacos I have ever had!! 10/10 recommend their Birria Tacos 😋
Khalea L — Google review
Walked over a mile with our luggage to find a spot to eat late at night and we come across this place, reviews looked solid so we said, why not! Now we are from Texas and know that Mexican food is different anywhere else, so we didn’t expect much (though i do think chipotle would’ve been better). The reason I’m writing this review isn’t so much as the mid level food (after all, we were hungry). It’s the lack of service and poor management. There appears to be one man doing all the work and making all sorts of online orders, the other employees just keep bringing him more online order tickets to fill. After waiting 5 minutes with no acknowledgment, I ask if we need to order online. I’m told that the man making the food will take our order, he then looks up asks what we want. My fiancé tells him her order, he makes it and puts it to the side, then I order. He starts to make it, then goes back to processing online orders (which don’t stop coming as the other employees are just bringing him more tickets to fill). After he makes a few more orders, he gets back and finishes my order. Unfortunately, the one other person who interacted with us processed my order for payment, but forgot to process my fiancés order and became confused. It was an easy fix, but icing on the cake with this place. Two star overall as service was terrible (took between 10-15 minutes to complete our orders and we were the only ones in line). Food was 3/5 though (nothing beats chipotle when going for fast/ quick burritos) , queso was good though! Next time, explaining to the customer that you will be a minute as you process online orders (so they know they will be served) as well as not to keep placing more online orders in front of the only employee working would definitely help the efficiency of this workplace. Or just only use a self/ online ordering system all together.

The restaurant and food itself was great! The lady that made my burrito was sweet and kind. But then the manager came and she was so disrespectful with the employees. So demanding and rude. It’s really not a place I would want to work at with management like that
Juliana R — Google review
I'm a big fan of Anna's burritos! 🌯 I had the steak this time and it was delicious! Also, they have more than one size, so you don't have to order a burrito that's as giant as the ones at Chipotle.
Tammy B — Google review
Order in person and the employees are rude and unhelpful. Order online and the food is not ready when you arrive, even though it's well passed the time window. And no matter what, the food is not very good. And on top of that, they often forget to bag everything you pay for. We deserve better for the prices here.
Greg — Google review
Mid-tier taqueria experience with decent food and drinks. Anna’s Taqueria has been a reliable spot for Mexican bowls when I don’t have enough time to travel to other areas for my favorite taquerias in Boston. It doesn’t aim to be the best in town, but it is still a solid option for lunch and quick dinner. From the variety of meat options, the birria and steak roja are my favorites. Although they come with an extra charge, its worth the upgrade. The birria, a slow-roasted beef, is very tender and fatty, which pairs well with other fresh vegetable toppings. Steak Roja comes with a bit of a kick, but offers a more flavorful bite. Their Horchata, served in an impressively large size at an affordable price, tends to lean on the milder side. It might not be the most authentic version, but as a refreshing drink that’s an alternative to the usual soda, it does its job.
Jea K — Google review
My second lunch purchase in the last few months at this location has been disappointing. Something seems off with both the vegetarian and Mexican rices, very mealy tasting . I don’t get carnitas anymore here since was so dry last time. This location’s food quality unfortunately seems to have gone down hill. It’s not the same consistent quality like Newton or Brookline locations. Sadly I won’t be returning for my work lunches anymore. Customer service consistent though.
Joanna K — Google review
Learned a lesson today—if you’re lookin for a special menu item, double check the restaurant’s website, and beware of old pictures on the reviews. I went here looking for lengua tacos, which were shown in the google reviews, but found out when I got there that they weren’t on the menu any more. Not the restaurant’s fault, so I can’t mark them down for that. Ordered an al pastor quesadilla instead. What I got looked a whole lot like a burrito. It tasted okay, but wasn’t anything particularly special. I also ordered the chips and guacamole. It tasted fine too, but the chips were mostly broken and in little pieces. Trying not to be too picky but it made it hard to eat the guacamole. The space for eating in was below street level. It was cramped and they weren’t keeping it very clean. Overall, this food was just like the other fast casual Mexican places, very mainstream, the atmosphere could be better, and I won’t go out of my way to eat here again.

Naco Taco is a vibrant Mexican eatery with a lively atmosphere and colorful setting. It offers a variety of creative tacos, tortas, and sides that are bursting with big flavors. The menu features diverse fillings such as smoked tofu and pulled pork, all wrapped in house-made corn tortillas.
The service was quick, and the tacos were incredibly delicious. We were lucky to dine in on Taco Tuesday, which offered 3 tacos for $12, a great deal that made the experience even better. The restaurant was quite busy and fast-paced, so the servers didn’t have much time for small talk, which might explain some of the negative reviews we read while dining. Based on our visit, the fast pace seemed more a result of high demand than poor service. Overall, with the quality of food and pricing, there’s really not much to complain about, and I would definitely go back again if I visit the city again.

I used to come here all the time when I lived in Cambridge. But that was about five years ago. I loved loved loved it back then. I’ve gone a few times recently during visits, and it’s not what it used to be. It’s still good! But something is missing. I get the sense. It’s the quality of the ingredients much like other restaurants have suffered post Covid. I will say, there’s smoked tofu taco is by far my favorite vegetarian Taco to date. I was a bit sad to learn that they no longer have encurtidos on the menu.

It sucked that they wouldn’t let us sit outside even though there were ample seats available, warm weather and only 8:30 at night. But ambience inside is still cool. Tamarind margarita with mezcal was awesome, and the street corn did not disappoint! Probably my most fav part of the meal even though it’s an app. Ordered 3 tacos: pescado, camarones and carnitas. I’ve eaten here before but I feel like last night they missed the mark. The pescado is actually a really thick piece of fish - delicious but overshadows the whole taco and not much room for other ingredients. The camarones was beyond spicy, I don’t know what happened I couldn’t eat it. But the carnitas was delicious! Might go back and try their other tacos. I’ve heard good things about their pollo and tofu taco and ceviche. But disappointed last night didn’t go as planned.

Okay food and cool location especially with the outdoor seating. The reason I knocked it a star (from my default 4) was my tacos werent incredible- wish they had more other toppings and not just 95% meat (though i appreciate they gave plenty of meat) The tortillas were also soggy and breaking apart when i was eating the tacos. I understand juicy meat will do this but i havent had this issue at other taco places The staff were fine, and the tacos came out very fast (in a few minutes)

My choice of food was wrong. I should've read that I will feel like I'm eating a meadow. My family ordered sweet/spicy corn and it was amazing, unfortunatelly, my plate just didn't have any flavour. Too raw vegetables and the bacon on the side wasn't enough to cover it nor the avocado was salty. Also the high chairs are really hard to sit on.
Katarina M — Google review
Loved the frijoles charros. It used to be prepared in a skillet and now it’s in a bowl and more liquidy, but it’s still delicious. The shaved vegetable salad was a lovely compliment. We got a half order and it was more than enough. Service was also very pleasant.

Came in here after a long day of painting was greeted instantly by the lovely staff. Was asked if I wanted to dine in or takeout I told them takeout but ended staying anyway. I ordered a chicken taco and a fish torta. The food was absolutely amazing along with the service. Shoutouts to the beautiful staff at Naco Taco. Will definitely be going back. 🤞🏽

Great food. I had the chicken, steak and pulled pork tacos. They were all great. I would personally recommend the steak, but you can't go wrong with any of them. It was nice sitting outside with a good breeze to make the temperature just right. My waitress was quick and responsive. My only slight grievance was that there were not enough napkins. The food is quite messy so more napkins at the table would be appreciated. Overall, a great restaurant that I would recommend. They also give post cards away when you get the bill which is a little something extra.

Angela's Cafe Eagle Hill is a small and vibrant restaurant that serves up traditional Mexican dishes from Puebla. It has become the go-to spot for Mexican cuisine in East Boston, with a second location now open in Orient Heights. The menu boasts an array of tempting options, including the award-winning guacamole and a variety of tacos, burritos, and entrees like Carne Asada and Enchiladas de Mole.
Angela’s Café is a hidden gem in the Eagle Hill neighborhood of East Boston. The food is authentic and full of flavor, with dishes that taste homemade and fresh. Prices are fair for the quality, and the service is friendly and attentive. The only downside is that the space is small, so seating can be limited during busy times. But if you don’t mind a cozy setting, it’s definitely worth a visit for a great meal. Highly recommend!

SUCH a local gem, the most satisfying plate of brunch I’ve had in a while! Chilaquiles (get the green sauce, also highly recommend over easy eggs) were some of the most flavorful, yet natural tasting - without being heavy at all. I’d love to come back for the famous guac and some other classics. They did mix up my sauce order at first, but exchanged it without much delay - which I appreciated. I came here on Easter Sunday, and even at 1 pm it wasn’t very crowded at all. Highly recommend 👍

We had several breakfasts there and one dinner. The chilaquiles was good but the green sauce was super hot. I should have asked for milder sauce . The eggs are served on the side instead of being cooked in it. They had a special, Chiles en nogada, which my wife loves

This has always been one of my go-to places, and I’ve loved coming here for years. Unfortunately, today’s visit was really disappointing and left a sour taste. I was there to celebrate my partner’s birthday and mentioned that to our server, Jenny M, but it went completely unacknowledged. The restaurant was empty — we were the only guests — so I expected great service, but it was honestly the opposite. She got my order wrong, and I had to call her over several times before she finally came to the table, rolling her eyes as she did. When I politely mentioned the appetizer mistake, she took the plate and, as she walked away, said, “What? Are you allergic to chicken?” — even though my main dish was chicken. The comment felt rude and unnecessary. We’ve been loyal customers for years and chose this restaurant for a special occasion, but the service made it feel like a mistake. Even small gestures like turning the music up — something we’ve always enjoyed about the atmosphere — were ignored. We eventually played music from our phones just to lighten the mood. This experience was really disappointing, especially knowing how great this place can be. I hope management addresses this, because loyal guests like us truly value the restaurant and want to see it live up to its usual standards.

Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant! The food was delicious. We ordered a few items to share. Highlights were - tacos, pork belly, and roasted carrots. The drinks were great too. Specifically, the old fashioned. It was well made. The restaurant had a cozy vibe, and the service was good. We'd love to go back here again for dinner!

My friends and I went on a Random Wednesday night. The food was excellent, but the atmosphere was weird. We were the only ones in there. The food was amazing though and tapas style so small plates so we ordered a few and they were all very good. My favorite was the pancakes.
Jacqueline K — Google review
🌟 Experience: 2/5 We were having a great time at first, the atmosphere was casual and fun, and our server Luiza was attentive early on. But once the food arrived, we felt forgotten. No refills were offered, and after we had an issue with the chicken, the service shifted noticeably. Luiza ignored our attempts to flag her down, and when someone finally took the dish away, no one asked what was wrong or apologized. The treatment felt dismissive, and for a restaurant that’s been open over a decade, it was surprisingly unprofessional. 🍽️ Food & Drinks: 4/5 (inconsistent) The appetizers were excellent , the oysters were fresh, and the tacos were crispy and well-seasoned. The Papas Bravas (served with my King Prawns) were a highlight: perfectly crispy and flavorful. The ribeye was tasty and came with Mexican fried rice which my friend loved, though the steak itself was not as juicy as expected. The Brussels sprouts (served with my friend’s chicken dish) were also a hit, balanced and not overly sweet. However, the chicken entrée was a complete miss — it smelled off, and the taste reminded me of raw chicken. After we complained, I reordered the King Prawns, which had been great the first time, but the second plate was oily and burnt. That inconsistency took away from an otherwise promising meal. Overall: 3/5 La Brasa has great potential and standout dishes, but inconsistent execution and poor handling of customer concerns left us disappointed. Not sure we’d return.
Tiffany M — Google review
Garbage food. Last time we went there for $1 oysters, and the taste of those was horrid (actually you can tell the taste is not good from the photos below, lots and lots of sand, rotten smell) . Not to mention the small portion sizes, and rock-liked rice. There’re basically very few dishes to choose from on the menu as well. Kind of makes me wondered where those 5 stars reviews are coming from. Extremely unpleasant experience for sure. One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to in my whole entire life.
Cathy K — Google review
The food was very tasty but somewhat overpriced for what it was and portion size, especially given the location in East Somerville. $20 for avocado toast is definitely on the steep side. The menu is also somewhat limited. Small service touches missing here and there: we didn’t have silverware when our food was served and had to flag down two waiters because the first one didn’t comprehend our ask. Also no one came by to refill our waters after we finished the sparkling water. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here, but if you live in the area or happen to pass by it’s worth a visit.
Anna C — Google review
Good food and friendly staff! Love the vibe, the place is huge and there was just a few people for a Friday night! which is surprising, guys, what are you waiting for to try this place out? We loved sharing plates + cocktails!

Beautiful atmosphere. It’s a shame the food and service didn’t match up. It took way too long for the server to take our drink order considering we were the only table. She continued to be lackluster. The shiitake mushroom crepe, flautas and arancini were overcooked. The highlights of the meal were the shrimp pupusa and Mexican street corn. Both delicious.
Susan P — Google review
Fine food. Received a side dish we considered but didn’t order in addition to being charged for water. Personally, I never recommend or return to restaurants that ask their staff to upsell by offering “still or sparkling” water without offering tap or explaining there will be a charge. It’s at best tacky and always feels scammy!

Taquería Jalisco is a cozy Mexican eatery located in East Boston, known for its authentic and flavorful dishes. Despite being tucked away in a residential area near Logan Airport, it has gained popularity for its delicious offerings. The restaurant's menu features a variety of Mexican staples such as tacos, carne asada, quesadillas, and pozole.
This is the best Mexican food in MA. My wife and I moved here from SoCal and had been searching and trying out different Mexican restaurants before this one, and none of them hit like this place hit. It was to the point that we gave up searching for a while and started honing our own Mexican food making skills ourselves. We are super glad we found this place, though. An authentic Mexican spot just hits different. The place had authentic homey vibes, and the staff was super sweet. We had the adobada tacos, and I threw their pickled onions and green sauce on top, and it was FIRE. Our friends got the birria tacos and they ATE. My wife and I always say that the real test comes with how well they make their rice and beans —and let me tell you, we are not easy to please in that department, but this place blew us away with the authenticity and taste. They nailed it. We will be back when we crave that good good Mexican food. This place is a blessing!

Taqueria Jalisco is a well known establishment in the Greater Boston area for its authentic and flavorful Mexican dishes. It’s especially known for probably the best Birria tacos in Boston. This cozy spot in Day Square is speedy with its service and offers affordable selection of options. You know it’s a good spot with the number of locals who frequent the establishment. Other than the Birria tacos, I recommend trying their tacos, flautas, and tortas. The employees are quite friendly, even if you don’t speak Spanish.

La Posada Restaurant & Tequila Bar is a charming and unpretentious eatery that specializes in traditional Latin American cuisine, making it a must-visit spot in Boston. With its vibrant decor and inviting atmosphere, this restaurant is perfect for celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying a night out with friends. The menu features an array of fresh and flavorful dishes, including standout items like shrimp tostones and veggie enchiladas that are sure to impress.
One of the hidden gems in Boston. The food is always fresh and well seasoned, here’s what we got. 2 love potion shots which tasted great and kicked off the meal in a fun way. These guys always seem to have seasonally changing drinks. Mezpresso martinis which were unique and different than the sweeter espresso martinis I typically see. It was more on the bitter side in a nice smoky way. Shrimp tostones - genuinely unbelievable, a juicy mix of savory flavors. I really wish the shrimps came with the tails off but I think that’s just me being picky. Chips and guac - classic, chips were super consistent and delicious. Shrimp tacos - no complaints at all, super tasty and juicy, avocados tend to slide off when you bite in but that’s just another small thing I noticed. Chicken enchiladas - definitely on the spicier side but still amazing. Overall another great experience and I’ll be back later in the year to check in.

Overall experience: ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR! I found this restaurant on Instagram and what caught our attention was the affordability for the food and drinks. The special occasion: it was my brother’s birthday last night so we wanted delicious flavorful food with a fun and chill atmosphere. THIS PLACE DELIVERED IT 10/10 score! When you step inside the restaurant it is very cute; fun decor and it was a vibe. You are able to make reservations and they are accommodating as well. As pictured below we order three appetizers (each of them had flavor and substance) we order three cocktails and they were delicious as well. The entrees were absolutely delicious and it had flavor, well-seasoned and you can tell the food was made with love. Personally I enjoyed the music and their taste of music was fun (Don Omar, Karol G, fun music). And ladies, the women’s restroom is super cute for selfies; their mirror has settings where you can pick the right lighting, fun features and had a colorful setting! The staff were respectful, kind, fun and lively! You can tell when you step inside the restaurant they want their food and their atmosphere to thrive and it is cozy and comfortable environment. I recommend this place if you want flavorful food and be surrounded by positivity and fun. This is the right place.

We discovered this gem last year but for the third time we experienced really good food and a beautiful atmosphere... We usually eat on the early side with our kids. We love the food... yesterday was beef birria chimichanga for me (see the photo), quesadillias and burritos. Quality has been consistent to the point that this become one of our overall favorites in the Boston area. Music is great too.

This meal was exquisite! My favorites had to be the shrimp tostones, the fish taco & the light and airy tres leches cake. Each dish that came out was better than the one before. I am so happy to have found this hidden gem.

Great spot in the area for margaritas and then some. They also do a really good Caipirinha which I loved. Their chips are freshly made and come hot to your table. Wait time for food was a fair bit longer than usual because of the Porchfest crowd, and that is understandable. The wait staff were very attentive and even apologized for the delay in getting our entrees to the table. The veggie enchiladas are fantastic and I’d definitely get it again. Their strawberry salad was a pleasant surprise, not too sweet or tart. Just perfect. Price wise, I felt that it was a tad bit above average overall.

First timers here, not in Somerville. Will absolutely not be the last. Jalapena pupusas were awesome, fresh corn flavor. Ropa vieja was delicious, as were the horchata, Beef empanadas, and beef birria chimichanga. Special shout out to our server for the Inclusivo Mezcal recommendation
Joel F — Google review
Got their food to go twice so far since moving to the area a couple weeks ago. Highly recommend!! The Birra Tacos are drool worthy. Even my mom visiting from Orlando highly approved. Cant wait to go in person for the drinks! Also get the churros!!!

Taco Party is a vibrant and quirky Mexican eatery known for its innovative vegetarian tacos. Originally a popular food truck in Boston, it now has a permanent location in Somerville's Ball Square, conveniently located near the new Green Line station. The restaurant boasts an 80s rec-room ambiance and exclusively offers vegan dishes. The menu features unique flavor combinations using plant-based ingredients, such as the spicy Lentils Al Pastor Taco with grilled pineapple and the well-textured Chorizo Seitan.
I came here looking for tacos and didn’t pay attention to the fact that they’re all vegan here. At first I was very skeptical and I thought that I had made a huge mistake, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and creativity of the food. I never knew tacos could taste so good without meat. Especially with the blend of flavors, I was thoroughly impressed by the combination of texture and flavor. I had the jackfruit taco and one other and the blend of spice with sweet savory pineapple was amazing. For the other taco the cabbage, sour cream, and crunch were a perfect sweet and savory bite. All in all, I would definitely recommend this spot to meat eaters and vegans alike and especially to the former since they’re less likely to be open minded. It might not sound appetizing initially, but I can tell u the tacos here are not to be underestimated! The double tortilla wrap was a nice added bonus which made it easy to hold the tacos and made the bites more filling.

Man, I used to be such a big fan of this place. It was small, relatively cheap, casual. I've never in my life written a review saying "this used to be better" but well, now is the time. Taco Party used to be better. I went in recently for lunch and it was freezing and empty and lifeless. They were out of several ingredients and they removed a bunch of the mainstay tacos I used to love from the menu. 3 tacos was exorbitantly expensive and the chips were way too salty. So sad — hope they can turn it around. Only good thing is the server was kind.
Glen C — Google review
Music is ambient! Yes, you can talk to each other, Staff - 5 stars! Their recipes never go wrong! The owner should get back the 70s vintage Sansui amplifier! ☺️
Subhajit N — Google review
They’ve gotten five stars from nearly every customer for a reason! It’s a small, simple menu with very creative and inspired options. Super ethical, very delicious, and it was just really cool seeing customers from different cultures all come together in this vegan taco shop. Seating is extremely limited, so plan on eating on-the-go or taking your food home. There weren’t any desserts when we went on a Sunday afternoon, and it would be awesome if they had vegan quesadillas and vegan breakfast burritos, but the torta and the sweet potato tacos were excellent!

Another Google amazing find. Searched for vegan places and Taco Party had great reviews. I had the two taco meal with Chorizo Seitan and Chimichurri Tempe and rice & black beans as a side. My wife had the Tortas sandwich with fried tofu. We both really enjoyed our meals. Cute atmosphere with three tables and chairs plus three window seats. I also had the Magic Bar that was great. I can highly suggest Taco Party.
Walter D — Google review
A really cute place. The decor is very retro/vintage. It has a simple but tasty menu. I got the horchata, cheesy potato taco, and crispy fried tofu taco. The crispy fried tofu was awesome. I really liked the crispy tofu.
Wren L — Google review
First off, if you want to be made to feel uncomfortable then come in with your phone on a gimbal. The cook in the back gave me dirty looks and ask if he was in my videos. I won't do that to anyone and I took video of the place to show my friend. It's very unprofessional to do that. Staff could of word a little different. Anyways, the place had a hipster feel. It was full of ugly bright colors. The tacos are a hit or miss. I like the jackfruit and tiki taco. Its pricey for veggie tacos. They are $4 something for one and the portions are small. We ordered 7 tacos and a side chips. Not filling at all. There was an ant on our tablet. Nothing about this place is special beside that its vegan tacos. They wont even be in my radar if they didn't do vegan. Just stay away. Its pricey for small portions. There bugs on the tables and staff are not friendly.

Delicious vegan tacos! Fast and friendly service. I recommend the nachos and the fries tofu taco. My husband had the mushroom taco and the sweet potato taco. He is an omni and he still loved everything we had here.

Pizza restaurant
T&B Pizza is a unique pizza joint brought to life by Tim and Bronwyn Wiechmann, the masterminds behind other successful dining spots in Boston. This eatery stands out with its unconventional yet delightful menu of wood-fired Neapolitan pies featuring raclette cheese, thick square slices loaded with kielbasa and green peppers, and satisfying duck-leg calzones. The restaurant prides itself on offering a concise selection of pizzas alongside small bites, delectable desserts, and creative cocktails.
My friend and I went on a Thursday when they are doing the $15 unlimited pizza nights. You tell them Meat, Veg, or Cheese and it becomes chef's choice for toppings. Awesome gourmet pizza. I got artichoke pesto 1st and then beet and snap pea for 2nd. My friend got pepperoni and chorizo 1st and then potato, bacon, and jalapeno for 2nd. Drinks were ok. I would definitely recommend this place for any pizza lovers and a good date night spot.
Adam B — Google review
Wow! This is probably the best pizza I've had in my 5+ years living in the Boston area. The cheeses are flavorful, the crust is light and buttery, and the toppings are delicious. The menu is filled with unique pizzas topped with kielbasa, Mexican street corn, vegan prosciutto, and more. Even the takeout boxes have charm.
Chris G — Google review
Really good pizza good and beer selection. The pizza al taglio is superb: in particular the burratta really brought out the flavor of the fermented dough.
Ed H — Google review
The pizzas are good, and so are the bagels (Turenne bagel uses the same oven in the mornings). They have a nice little outdoor space and the staff is nice. Pizzas are served quickly, we never had to wait very long (but we have never been there when the restaurant was more than half full). They have wine by the glass and house wine for a fair price. Pizza are a bit expensive but they are good. Bagels are good too, but very expensive (though they are bigger and a bit more fancy than what you find elsewhere).
Agapi A — Google review
Fast service and yummy pizza. We did not have a reservation, but were happy a table was available. Some pizza's are circular and some pizza's are rectangular (it explains why on the menu). The "regular" Margherita pizza was great. The "square" BBQ pizza was delicious and different than anything I've ever had before. It was the perfect amount of spiciness, where you could still enjoy the flavors without a burning tongue. Highly recommended.

Sparsh B — Google review
Nice atmosphere, good cocktails, and fantastic pizza. If you haven't been, you should definitely try it. The two of us shared a mushroom pizza and heirloom tomato calzone (we came hungry). The quality of ingredients is noticeable, we will absolutely be back.
John — Google review
Excellent classic wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas and rectangular thick-crusted Roman pies. All doughs made in house and aged to make the best possible crusts. Interesting toppings vary weekly. Calzones, wood-fired vegetables, meat or fish small plares, salads and cold starters round out the menu. Wonderful bread made with the thick crust dough. Everything on this simple menu is conceived and executed with care and attention to detail, in keeping with the chef's high-end pedigree and training. Well-selected wine and beer list, full bar. Definitely worth a trip.
