Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
Landmark
The Brooklyn Bridge, a beloved landmark dating back to 1883, is a unique stone-and-steel structure that connects Manhattan and Brooklyn. It offers an iconic walk across its elevated promenade, providing breathtaking views of the East River and the city skyline. The bridge's location allows for easy access to both Lower Manhattan and the charming neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights with its stunning brownstones and row houses. Additionally, visitors can enjoy picturesque walks through Park Slope, another desirable residential area in Brooklyn.
What a lovely bridge to walk across. It takes about 30 minutes from end to end. You can see in the distance the Statue of Liberty and on the other side the Manhattan Bridge. At the end of this bridge, if you go to Dumbo, that's a really good place to also spend some time afterwards. Have some pizza, experience the market, and take some great shots of Manhattan Bridge and down under Brooklyn Bridge.

Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is an experience that stays with you long after the journey ends. From the moment you step onto its iconic walkway, you feel a connection to history, to the countless souls who have crossed before, and to the city itself — alive, vibrant, and full of possibility. Every view is breathtaking: the skyline stretching endlessly, the river shimmering beneath, and the bridge’s architectural beauty standing as a testament to human vision and perseverance. There’s a rhythm to walking here, a pulse that invites reflection, inspiration, and awe. Whether you’re taking photos, pausing to soak it all in, or simply strolling, the bridge feels like more than a path from one borough to another — it’s a bridge between the past and present, between dreams and reality. Walking here reminded me to pause, to appreciate, and to carry a little piece of this city’s energy with me. A truly unforgettable experience.

Visiting the Brooklyn Bridge was an unforgettable experience. The weather was a perfect mix of sunny and cloudy, creating amazing light for photos and giving the entire walk a cinematic feel. I was able to grab a few photographers on the spot, negotiate a great deal, and they captured some truly beautiful memories that I’ll cherish forever. The views of Manhattan and the river were absolutely breathtaking, and the energy on the bridge was vibrant yet peaceful. Highly recommend visiting—whether you’re sightseeing, taking pictures, or just enjoying the moment, the Brooklyn Bridge never disappoints.

A Must-Do New York Experience! Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge with family and friends was absolutely unforgettable. The views are phenomenal—Manhattan’s skyline, the Statue of Liberty in the distance, and endless photo opportunities at every step. My seven-year-old loved it too! It can get windy, so if you’re visiting in winter, dress warmly or bring a windbreaker. The walk is free, fun, and great exercise. Once you reach Brooklyn, you can explore cute shops and fabulous restaurants nearby. It’s the best of all worlds—beautiful views, quality time with loved ones, and a true New York adventure.

Must do in NYC! The view is just breathtaking! You can see the Statue of Liberty from there! And all of the city it’s just so cool! Definitely an amazing spot to walk or run across. It’s free!! And super fun!!

Brooklyn Bridge – A Must-Do in New York! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is an experience you simply cannot miss when visiting New York City! The moment you step onto the wooden walkway, you’re greeted with stunning views of Manhattan’s skyline, the East River, and even a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty in the distance. The bridge itself is a masterpiece of architecture with its towering stone arches and intricate cables — it’s as beautiful up close as it is from afar. It’s incredible to think it has been standing strong since 1883, carrying not only cars and bicycles but also thousands of people every day. The walk takes about 20–30 minutes at a relaxed pace, but you’ll want to stop often for photos. My advice: go early in the morning or just before sunset to avoid heavy crowds and capture the best light for pictures. At night, the city lights make the bridge feel even more magical. On the Brooklyn side, you can relax at Brooklyn Bridge Park, grab a slice of famous New York pizza, or just sit by the waterfront and take in the views. From the Manhattan side, you’re only steps away from City Hall, Chinatown, and the Financial District. Tip: Wear comfortable shoes, stay in the pedestrian lane (cyclists zoom by fast!), and bring your camera — every angle offers a postcard-worthy shot. 🌟 Overall: An unforgettable walk and one of the best free things to do in New York. It’s not just a bridge, it’s a true New York experience!

Iconic walk with stunning skyline views The Brooklyn Bridge is a must-visit for breathtaking views of Manhattan. A great way to experience it is to take the ferry from Pier 11 to DUMBO and then walk back across the bridge toward Manhattan, which provides an amazing perspective of the skyline. The bridge is very close to downtown Manhattan, easily accessible, and the walkway offers plenty of photo opportunities. Crowds can be moderate, but the views more than make up for it. It's iconic, scenic, and perfect for a leisurely stroll with unbeatable city views.

During our previous visit to NYC in 2015 to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday we only walked 1/2 way across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan and never went all the way over to explore Brooklyn, so on our return visit in Sep 2025 to celebrate her 60th birthday we decided to walk all the way across. Our journey started with a 15 min walk from our hotel on Lexington Ave down to Grand Central Station where we took the 6 subway train to the Brooklyn Bridge City Hall station. After exiting the subway we walked to the main entrance of the bridge on the East Side of City Hall Park to begin the 1.1 mile walk across to the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area of Brooklyn. When we arrived at the bridge at around 11:30am on a Friday morning there were many tourists on the Bridge taking pictures and walking up to the mid point of the bridge with fantastic views of the Statute of Liberty to the right, the Manhattan Bridge on the left and the Manhatten skyline behind. The pedestrian walkway on the bridge is built above the road crossing so we were walking above a steady stream of cars they were passed slowly underneath us due the heavy volume of traffic. Subway trains don't go across the Brooklyn Bridge, however, they do go across the nearby Manhattan Bridge, below the road crossing. We saw a number of locks attached to the metal frame of the bridge, which are left as "love locks", as symbols of romantic commitment. Apparently this practice started around 2009, whereby couples inscribed their names on padlocks, attached them to the bridge, and often threw the keys into the water to signify their love was "unbreakable". However, this tradition has led to safety concerns and damage to the bridge, causing the city to remove thousands of locks and fine people for adding them. Many people only walked up to the mid point of the bridge before walking back to Manhattan, however, we continued walking across to Brooklyn where there was noticeably less people on the bridge in this latter section. It was a beautiful sunny day during our walk, which we enjoyed very much, stopping often to take photos and admire the fantastic views from the bridge

Central Park is a breathtaking green sanctuary nestled in the bustling heart of New York City, offering an escape from the urban hustle. Established in 1857, this iconic park spans over 800 acres, making it larger than London's Hyde Park. Visitors can meander along scenic walking paths and expansive lawns while discovering a plethora of attractions. From the enchanting Alice in Wonderland statue to Belvedere Castle perched on Vista Rock, every corner reveals something new.
If there was a perfect city park, this would be it. It just is an amazing park. You can go for a stroll in the woods, sun bath in a grass meadow, see great entertainment, much of it free, rent a row boad on the lake, people watch and so much more. When you are in the park, in some areas it might not even seem like you are still in the city. Anyone visiting NYC should take the time to walk through and explore the park. There is an amazing zoo, a carousel, ice skating rink, and even a castle in the park. The pictures are of the reservoir at the north end of the park.

Central Park in the Fall — Absolutely Magical! Visiting Central Park in autumn was better than I ever imagined. The colors, the crisp air, the skyline peeking through the trees — it felt straight out of a movie, only real. The park is wonderfully kid-friendly and dog-friendly, full of families, friendly faces, and space to explore. From the winding paths to the shimmering ponds and quiet lakes, every corner is breathtaking. The city views are stunning, and everyone we met was kind and welcoming. Truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever experienced.
Rebecca ( — Google review
Central Park is more than just the heart of New York City — it’s the city’s soul. Spanning over 840 acres, this green oasis feels like a peaceful escape wrapped inside the chaos of Manhattan. The moment you step in, the city noise fades, replaced by the rustle of leaves, the laughter of joggers, and the sound of musicians under the bridges. Every corner of the park tells a story. From the romantic Bow Bridge arching gracefully over the lake to the grand Bethesda Terrace overlooking the fountain, it’s a photographer’s dream and a wanderer’s paradise. The pathways curve through gardens, open meadows, and quiet wooded areas — perfect for a morning run, a lazy picnic, or simply sitting on a bench and watching life pass by. What makes Central Park truly special is how it reflects the rhythm of New York itself. On one side, artists sketch and performers play violins; on the other, kids race their bikes while couples row across the lake. In winter, the Wollman Rink sparkles with skaters, and in spring, the cherry blossoms paint the park in pastel shades. Whether you’re a tourist seeing it for the first time or a local escaping your busy schedule, Central Park never feels the same twice. It’s timeless yet ever-changing — a living masterpiece right in the middle of skyscrapers. In a city that never sleeps, Central Park reminds you to breathe, slow down, and simply be. ⭐ Rating: 5/5 A must-visit — not just for its beauty, but for the peace and inspiration it offers.

Central Park is the most beautiful place in New York! Perfect for photoshoots, horse rides, and boating on the lake. It’s also one of the best romantic spots for a date. Everywhere you go, you can hear live music, which adds such a magical atmosphere. I love visiting in any season — spring with blooming trees and fall with falling leaves are my favorites. A truly unique place you can’t find anywhere else in the world!

Central Park is an incredible place — a true green oasis in the heart of New York City’s concrete jungle. It surrounds you with peace and nature, making you forget you’re in one of the busiest cities in the world. Perfect for a walk, a picnic, or simply to sit and breathe in the calm beauty of the park.
Lina G — Google review
After the watching the 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Broadway show at the Marquis Theatre on W46th St & 7th Ave, we walked the 0.7 miles up 7th Ave to the Central Park entrance at W59th St where I had my first NYC Hotdog from the Nathan's Hotdog stand. It was very tasty if a tad small for $6. We only walked in a very small section of the vast 843 acres, 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide park, from the W59th St & 7Ave entrance to the Model Sailing Boat Lake and could have spent several days explore the different sections of this vast beautiful space, which is enjoyed daily by some many local New Yorkers and tourists. There were lots of people relaxing on the grass, walking, jogging, running, cycling & rollerblading through the park, together with rickshaws and horse drawn carriages carrying their passengers on the one directional circular road running around inside the park. We stopped off at the Le Pain Quotidien kiosk next to the Model Boating Lake for hot drinks & pastries at one of the tables, enjoying the late evening sunshine whilst watching people going by and children sailing their rented remote controlled model boats in the lake. There are public male & female toilets either side of the kiosk and a table service section for a selection of food & drinks. It wasn't too busy when we were there around 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was the perfect place to sit down, take a break, relax and watch the world go by in Central Park whilst enjoying a drink. We were fortunate to be there to listen to the famous Central Park guitar man, David Ippolito, playing some beautiful guitar music from across the boating lake opposite our table, in his regular Saturday slot. On our walk to the Model Boating Lake we passed the 1,800 seat open air Delacorte amphitheater inside the park, where free public shows of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' were being performed. My wife is a big fan of Shakespeare's plays and would have loved to have gone to see the play. However, as the vast majority of tickets were allocated via lottery to NYC residents we would have had to queue up in person in a standby line outside the theatre on the day, in the hope of getting one of these few ticket allocations and I didn't like Shakespeare enough to do that. As it was such beautiful warm late summer we decided to walk the 2.2 miles down Lexington Ave, from the park at 74th St down to our hotel at 36th St. Although it took a lot longer than taking the subway we really enjoyed seeing more of the city on foot.

I had never seen such a huge park in the city area. Spread across 800+ acres, this park has a lot of beautiful places to visit. We went to Bethesda terrace as our first spot here and it’s really worth visiting. Great spots to visit, sit, relax, run and click pictures. Loved the bow bridge. Must visit and highly recommended.

Central Park is absolutely beautiful !!! it’s hard to believe a place this big and peaceful exists right in the middle of the city. I loved exploring Belvedere Castle and Bethesda Fountain, and seeing all the iconic spots in person felt so special. Such a perfect place to just wander, relax, and take in the city from a completely different perspective.

Times Square, also known as The Center of the Universe, is a vibrant and bustling destination located in the heart of New York City's Theater District. It is famous for its bright lights, shopping opportunities, and Broadway shows. This iconic area is a hub for art, entertainment, and commerce, attracting curious tourists and locals alike. With its high concentration of neon signs, billboards, and advertisements, Times Square offers plenty of photo opportunities at every turn.
Times Square is unforgettable! On my trip to New York, I spent time here and it truly felt like the heartbeat of the city. The lights, energy, and atmosphere are simply unmatched, with people from all over the world filling the streets. When I was there at night, the giant billboards and dazzling colors came alive. I saw street performers, live music, cartoon characters posing for pictures, and tourists capturing photos everywhere. The whole vibe was electric, and I honestly felt like I was standing in the middle of a movie scene. Also, I scanned the mobile barcode and uploaded my picture on the billboard and about 10 minutes later, I saw myself up there. That was such a unique and unforgettable moment! 👉 Tips for visitors: • Best time to visit is after dark when the lights shine brightest. • Wear comfortable shoes you’ll walk a lot. • Keep your phone or camera ready, every corner is a photo opportunity. • It gets crowded, so stay mindful of your belongings. Times Square is busy, colorful, and alive — an experience I’ll never forget.

🌟 My Visit to Times Square, New York City My visit to Times Square was an unforgettable experience — vibrant, colorful, and full of energy 24/7! Known as “The Crossroads of the World,” it truly captures the spirit of New York City with its dazzling billboards, bustling crowds, and electric atmosphere. Standing amidst the towering LED screens and the constant buzz of activity felt surreal. Street performers, musicians, and costumed characters add to the excitement, making every corner of Times Square lively and entertaining. Whether it’s day or night, the energy here never fades. I also enjoyed browsing the many flagship stores, souvenir shops, and cafés. The TKTS booth at the red steps is a great spot to buy discounted Broadway show tickets — and the steps themselves are a perfect place to sit and take in the view of the glowing skyline. 📍 Tips for Visitors: • Visit after sunset to experience the full brilliance of the lights. • Keep your belongings secure — it can get very crowded. • Combine your visit with nearby attractions like Broadway theaters, Bryant Park, or Rockefeller Center. • For great photos, stand near the red steps or the 7th Avenue and 46th Street junction. Overall, Times Square is the beating heart of New York City — a dazzling symbol of its energy, culture, and excitement. A must-visit for every traveler! 🗽✨

Going for a walk early in the morning feels refreshing and leisurely. The display boards might be more visible if it were a bit darker… but I still prefer the time when daylight is just beginning to break. Even in the early morning, there are a variety of food options like hot dogs and corn dogs.

We finally visited the iconic Times Square and whatever I had heard before about this is not an exaggeration. The vibe, atmosphere and the electronic billboards make this place a very happening one. Lots of shops and eateries near this place. A great crowd every time you visit. But at night after sunset this place becomes more awesome. Must visit and multiple visits are my recommendation.

Times Square on Halloween night 2025 was an electrifying spectacle of life, light, and energy. Even having visited before, I have never felt the city pulse so vibrantly — the crowds, the colors, the laughter, and the chaos all weaving together into a living tapestry that is uniquely New York. Every street, every screen, every flicker of neon seemed to tell a story, inviting you to pause, to watch, and to feel part of something larger than yourself. There’s a rhythm here, a heartbeat of the city that never sleeps, and on this night, it was louder, wilder, and more exhilarating than ever. Walking through the throngs, catching glimpses of costumes and celebration, and capturing these moments in photos and video made me appreciate the magic of New York in a way words can barely capture. Times Square is not just a place — it’s an experience, a living, breathing canvas of human energy and creativity. Halloween night 2025 will forever remain vivid in my memory as one of the city’s most unforgettable moments.

This is nyc the busiest city in the USA. I love and hate this area at the same time but mostly I love it because the shows are nearby and you can get reduced prices if you wait online and so many food, places and historical places and even the US armed horses recruiting services center and you should definitely walk this area and not drive because you will be stuck in traffic During the day. Enjoy!

Times Square is always an incredible place to be. There’s an energy there that you really can’t find anywhere else. From the street art and performers to the endless flow of people from all over the world, it feels alive every hour of the day. Visiting during the day and coming back at night gives you two completely different experiences. Daytime is vibrant and busy, while nighttime transforms the whole area with bright lights, massive screens, and a unique atmosphere you have to see for yourself. It’s definitely a must-visit spot every time I’m in the city.

Top of The Rock is an observatory located on top of Rockefeller Center, featuring an ocean-liner style design and providing stunning city views. Visitors can explore Rockefeller Center, known for hosting The Today Show, shopping opportunities, and dining options before taking the elevator to the Top of The Rock for a bird's-eye view of the city. Unlike the Empire State Building, this vantage point allows capturing photos with the iconic building in them.
One of the best views of Manhattan from a top of a building, better than Empire State Building or the Freedom Tower!!! Upon entry you will receive a video introduction to the making of The Rockefeller Center in a theater. You can see all of the downtown including Empire State Building, Central Park, Freedom Tower, etc etc etc. You can go up to 67th, 69th and 71st floor. The top floor does not have glasses so you can get a better quality photos. 96th floor has the Beam Experience for additional $25. 71st floor has the Skylift for additional $35 or it is part of the VIP Pass. It is best to make a reservatios! Be on tine!!!. Highly recommended.

Finally, on my 5th trip to NYC we did Rockafella Centre instead of Empire State. What a great experience. Great views of the NYC skyline which includes the Empire State. The Beam was so worth it as well. Great views out towards Central Park. Could have stayed up there for even more hours. Nice little cafe/bar with terrace area to sit and chill while admiring the views.

We visited Top of the Rock and were absolutely amazed! The view of New York is stunning — especially the Empire State Building and the Manhattan skyline. The entry was quick and well-organized with minimal waiting time. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the city vibe, take incredible photos, and soak in the views. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting New York for the first time!

Visiting Top of the Rock was such an incredible experience! The views of New York City are absolutely breathtaking. The elevators are fast and the observation decks are very well organized, making it easy to enjoy the sights without feeling crowded. Definitely a must-visit
Chiara R — Google review
Top of the Rock was fantastic — much quieter than the Empire State Building, which made the experience way more enjoyable. The views to the north are incredible, especially over Central Park. You also get a perfect view of the Empire State Building, which you obviously can’t get if you’re standing on it! Highly recommend going around sunset for the best light.
Rachael T — Google review
Even in drizzling rain this was an enjoyable experience. We actually really like the foggy photos we got too! One of the cheaper birds eye view options with two different tourist photo opportunities. Though I usually find those to be cheesy, if it wasn't raining during our trip I could see their unique recreation of the iconic construction photo snapped during the building of the rockafeller center could be super cute/fun and very New York specific, and I may have considered it in better weather.
Robyn M — Google review
Loved Top of the Rock! The views are incredible even though you’re not the tallest building in the city. Took almost no time to enter even though it was pretty busy being right around dusk. The night views are the best. Definitely do this on your trip to NYC.

A truly unforgettable experience! The views from the Top of the Rock are absolutely stunning — you can see all of Manhattan and Central Park in one perfect panorama. The Flatiron Building, designed by architect Daniel Burnham, is a 22-story triangular tower that stands at 285 feet tall. Its unique shape resembles a flat iron and has made it an iconic sight in New York City's skyline since its completion in 1902. The building is located at the convergence of Fifth Avenue and Broadway with East 22nd Street running along the back end, giving rise to the renowned Flatiron District.
The Flatiron Building was originally called the Fuller Building. This building is one of New York City's most iconic landmarks. The Flatiron Building is famous for its iconic triangular shape. Its unique shape sets it apart from the typical city structure, a design driven by the intersection of Broadway and 5th Avenue. The architecture is stunning, offering fascinating views from various angles.

I love the flat iron district. The building is an icon, So glad to hear the flat iron is turning into residential condos and being used. Can’t wait until it’s done so we’ll be back to visit in 2026.

Shame I didn’t read up that’s it’s covered in scaffolding! Was nice to see it anyway! The sun made it hard to take a pic!
Jonathan T — Google review
My trip to the Flatiron district on May 5th, 2025, was a success! The weather was pleasant, typical for early May in New York – likely a mix of sunshine and some clouds, with temperatures hovering in the comfortable range, perhaps around the mid-60s Fahrenheit (17-19°C). My first stop was Eataly Flatiron. What a place! It's a vibrant Italian marketplace with a huge selection of restaurants, cafes, and shops. I could have spent hours there exploring all the different food options. From fresh pasta to delicious pastries, it's a food lover's paradise. The atmosphere was buzzing and lively, making it a fun experience. After indulging in some Italian treats, I headed over to Yeti. And I'm glad I did! I was on the hunt for a good tumbler, and I scored a great deal there. The prices were competitive, and the quality seems excellent. I'm excited to put my new tumbler to good use. The Flatiron district itself is a cool area to explore, with its unique architecture and bustling streets. It's easily accessible by subway, and there are plenty of other shops and attractions nearby. Overall, I had a great time in the Flatiron district on this day. I highly recommend visiting Eataly for a culinary adventure and checking out Yeti if you're looking for quality outdoor gear.

The Flatiron Building is still one of New York’s most iconic sights, even while under construction. Its unique shape and historic charm are unmistakable, and the area around it is full of great energy. A quick stop that’s always worth it.

Currently all covered up as you can see I´n my pictures taken the day prior to this post. Of course the area is still amazing, a must go. You should drop off at Union Square and make your way up through Braodway untill you reach Times Square. The you keep going up and you reach Central Park. That´s a very Nice route. On your way you can deviate a bit and see the Empire State, Chrysler Building, Carnagie Hall, etc.

The High Line is a renowned elevated park built on an old railway line, offering stunning views of the city and the river. This 1.45-mile-long linear park in Manhattan was transformed from an abandoned railway viaduct into a popular public space in 2009. Designed by Dutch landscape architect Piet Oudolf, the park features a continuous walkway surrounded by gardens with diverse plant species that thrived on the disused rail line.
This is such a cool walking path/pedestrian route for anyone wanting to walk near the Hudson Yard area to Pier 57/Chelsea Market. Lots of green spaces and natural plantings with the old railroad lines, and places with stairs and elevators to go down to street level. Nice way to see some cool buildings and avoid traffic and stoplights. You can enter near the Vessel in Hudson Yard area, or end there if you start above the Chelsea Market.
Sarah H — Google review
A wonderful use of old elevated train tracks turned into beautiful greenery in the middle of the city. So many different kinds of vegetation and lots of great art to see along the way. We walked about 2 miles of it from The Edge down to Chelsea Market.
Jennifer S — Google review
The High Line is one of the most unique and enjoyable outdoor experiences in New York City. Built on an elevated historic rail line, it offers a peaceful walkway above the busy streets, with great views of the city and plenty of greenery along the way. It’s a perfect place for a stroll, whether you’re looking to take photos, enjoy the art installations, or just relax in a quieter space. The mix of plants, architecture, and open views of the Hudson River makes it feel both urban and calming at the same time. Depending on how fast you walk, you can explore the whole thing in about 30–60 minutes, making it a great stop that doesn’t take up your whole day. It can get crowded during peak hours, but it’s still a lovely experience overall. A must-visit if you’re in the city and want something scenic, relaxing, and completely free. Please leave a like if you found this helpful!

Lovely for an autumn walk and lots of great photo opportunities. Clean bathrooms. Lots of city views. Surrounded by buildings with unique architecture. Lots of benches and viewing areas, including one where you can watch traffic. Landscaping and sculptures.
Billy H — Google review
This walk is so nice, it's hard to believe it's free (privately funded, donations accepted). We stopped for several minutes to listen to a mockingbird perform his concert! Super clean bathrooms, and there are no pets allowed, so with all the plants, it smells nice too. Not too crowded on weekdays.
Vera B — Google review
The Experience: This is a fantastic spot for a nice walking experience above the city streets. It offers a unique perspective of Manhattan and serves as a great path to get to Hudson Yards, offering a perfect, looming view of The Edge as you approach. Accessibility Note: Be mindful of where you enter. I found the stairs to be very steep at the access point I used. If you have heavy bags or mobility issues, you definitely want to double-check the map for elevator access beforehand, as the stairs can be a workout. Verdict: Despite the climb up, I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. It’s a refreshing break from the traffic below.
Daniel J — Google review
A unique and beautiful walkway throughout New York City. From Hudson yards to Little Island, an extraordinary yet calm walkway above the streets. And offer a serene and calm experience. Would highly recommend.

This might be the best urban park that I've ever visited! What a great way to meander through the Chelsea neighbourhood with some elevated views of New York City. I imagine it can get extremely busy on a nice day, but its certainly work checking out if you're in the area. Lots of little pockets of space if you want some privacy from all the folks out for a walk.

Authentic Coney Island hot dogs. They use Nathan’s beef hot dogs & also have a pork and beef alternative. The atmosphere is really enjoyable and feels like a hidden gem. We ordered a traditional Coney Island for authenticity. I also ordered a Mexican fries as I overheard the host. They were smothered in chili, cheese sauce, onions, and jalapeño relish. It was very. enjoyable. The Coney Island traditional hot dogs were great. My wife also loved the traditional Coney Island dog who’s an enormous food critic with her family having owned restaurants. The hosts were very friendly & gave free refills. Will definitely come back again and recommend. Their awards fits the establishment.

Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York is truly one of the most iconic and exciting destinations for anyone visiting the city! From stunning beaches to thrilling rides, delicious food, and a lively boardwalk atmosphere, this place has everything you need for an unforgettable day. I visited on a sunny weekend, and the vibe was just incredible. The Coney Island Beach is wide, clean, and perfect for relaxing, swimming, or just enjoying the beautiful ocean breeze. The Coney Island Boardwalk is full of energy with street performers, shops, and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the legendary Luna Park 🎢 — home to the famous Cyclone Roller Coaster. It’s a must‑try if you love thrilling rides! The amusement park is well-organized and offers attractions for all ages, from adrenaline-pumping coasters to family-friendly rides and arcade games. Food lovers will also fall in love with Coney Island! 🌭 I tried the original Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, and they are absolutely worth the hype — juicy, flavorful, and iconic. There are plenty of other food options too, from pizza and funnel cakes to seafood and ice cream stands along the boardwalk. What I loved most about Coney Island is its vibrant atmosphere. Whether you’re here for a relaxing beach day, carnival games, live entertainment, or fireworks shows in the summer, there’s always something happening. I also explored the New York Aquarium, which is perfect for families and kids, featuring incredible exhibits and marine life. Tips for Visitors: • Arrive early if you want a good spot on the beach. • Don’t miss Nathan’s Hot Dogs 🌭 — it’s a Coney Island tradition! • Check the schedule for fireworks and special events; the summer shows are spectacular. • Weekdays are less crowded if you want a quieter experience. • Wear comfortable shoes — there’s a lot to walk and explore! Coney Island is a unique blend of history, fun, and culture. It’s not just an amusement area; it’s part of New York’s heritage, attracting locals and tourists alike for over a century. From the beach to the rides, food, and entertainment, everything is vibrant and full of life. If you’re visiting New York City, I highly recommend adding Coney Island to your itinerary. Whether you’re coming with family, friends, or solo, you’ll find plenty to enjoy here. Washington Square Park, located in the heart of Greenwich Village, is a historic and vibrant public space that offers prime people-watching opportunities. The park features a stately arch and is a popular spot for locals, NYU students, families, and tourists. It's known for its diverse array of activities including musicians, jugglers, chess players, street artists, and skateboarders.
Pretty interesting spot that deserves at least a visit. I have been here at least 4 times during my trips to NYC in the last decade and had a great experience every one of them. People come here to connect with art, have fun and chill. As any place in Manhattan, there is always a nearby subway station. The best times to visit are early in the morning when there are less people or during sunset which delivers the best colors and pictures.

This square has a European feel to it. It is a nice place to visit though a section of the park seems to attract drug users. Be vigilant especially if you visit with kids. I love the live music vibe here. As for the psychics that offer their services here, I am yet to be in their company.

Washington Square Park has such a relaxed vibe. It's a lovely place to sit by the fountain, enjoy the sunshine, and watch the mix of people passing by. Street performers add a nice touch without feeling overwhelming. The trees give plenty of shade, and the iconic arch makes the view special. Perfect spot to unwind and take a break from the city's rush.

Washington Square Park is one of the most iconic and lively places in New York City. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, it’s full of energy, music, and life all day long. The famous Washington Arch creates a beautiful entrance and makes the park instantly recognizable. The fountain area is always buzzing with activity — people chatting, musicians performing, and students relaxing between classes. It’s the perfect spot to sit, listen to live music, or just enjoy watching the crowd. The atmosphere feels welcoming and creative, showing the real spirit of New York. You’ll often see chess players, artists sketching, and street performers adding charm to the park. It’s clean, fairly safe, and surrounded by great cafés where you can grab coffee or snacks. During evenings, lights around the fountain and arch make it even more beautiful. Whether you’re a tourist, a student, or a local, Washington Square Park never feels boring. Every visit brings a new vibe and something different to enjoy. It’s a must-visit destination that perfectly captures the culture, diversity, and energy of downtown Manhattan.
Dana E — Google review
Google maps asked, "How was Washington Square?". IT WAS/IS RAT INFESTED. The RATS were larger than Chihuahuas! One came around the corner from the arch and hissed growled at us! They were climbing in and out of the refuse receptacles! There were quite of few either homeless/indigent persons there. One said that you have to urinate on them to get them to leave you alone. Then the individual proceeded to demonstrate. That rat did scurry away. There was lots of trash and garbage all around the arch.

Whenever we visit NYC we try to spend some time in the funky, vibrant and colourful Washington Square Park, which is a 9.75-acre public park in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan. It's a meeting place and center for cultural activity, dominated by the Washington Square Arch at the northern gateway to the park and the large fountain in front of it. The park has a tradition of celebrating nonconformity attracting many students from the surrounding NYU (New York University) and you could get high from just inhaling the smoke from all the cannabis joint being smoked without having to smoke one yourself 🤣 There was a diversity of people of all ages & nationalities enjoying the hot late summer sun in the park, playing chess, cooling off in the sunken seats next to the big fountain, together with vendors, artists and musicians - there was a slightly edgey feel within the park, but not in a bad nervous feeling way🤔
Hong L — Google review
Very unique place! Super interactive with various stalls and food truck. The fountain was beautiful. Great place to relax with food or coffee from nearby restaurants and cafes. Could be a little noisy and crowded but very pleasant overall.

I always enjoy coming here but feels its changing and not for the better. Certain people ruin the experience behaving like idiots and unruly. Besides that its a chill park and you'll see all types of people from all different backgrounds. Which match the neighborhood. Since there are a couple of schools in the area you'll see plenty of college age people. Park has a fountain at its center which is also great for pictures park offers picnic areas, restrooms and playground. You'll find people panting like playing board games and much more. I've been coming here for years to chill and do some people watching. Today I was lucky to catch a free show of two bands performing.

Brooklyn Bridge Park is a must-visit urban oasis in New York City. It offers shaded picnic tables, hibachi-style BBQ grills, and stunning views of the river. The park is part of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge walk, which provides some of the best views and photo spots in the city. Walking through Brooklyn Bridge Park and DUMBO allows visitors to enjoy unobstructed views of the skyline and both the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.
Brooklyn Bridge Park is one of those places that makes you stop and appreciate the city from a whole new angle. The views are incredible—looking out at the skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and of course the Brooklyn Bridge itself feels almost surreal. The park is beautifully designed, with plenty of spots to relax, walk, or just take it all in. It’s also easy to get around, with clear paths and different sections that each have their own charm. Whether you’re there for a stroll, photos, or just to sit and watch the world go by, it never disappoints. More than just a park, it feels like a front-row seat to New York’s magic. Definitely a must-visit.

Watching the 4th of July fireworks from the park was truly an unforgettable experience! 🇺🇸✨ The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as families, friends, and strangers all gathered to celebrate together. I arrived early to find a good spot, and it was totally worth it — the view was perfect, with a clear line of sight to the stunning fireworks display. The park itself added so much to the experience — it was spacious, clean, and full of positive energy. People were picnicking, playing music, and enjoying the warm summer evening while waiting for the show to begin. Once the fireworks started, the entire sky lit up with vibrant colors and synchronized bursts that were absolutely breathtaking. There’s something magical about watching fireworks under the open sky, surrounded by a crowd that’s just as amazed as you are. It felt like the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day. I’m already looking forward to doing it again next year!

The Oculus World Trade Center is a captivating destination in New York City, featuring an immersive installation called The Strangers Project. This exhibition showcases thousands of anonymous handwritten stories collected from diverse individuals, offering a range of experiences from humorous anecdotes to poignant narratives. While the exterior design may be subject to differing opinions, the interior boasts a visually stunning atmosphere with its futuristic rib-like skylight that has become popular among Instagram users.
The design of the building is out of a Science fiction movie and plus it’s largest transportation Hub in New York Here you have trains, subway, etc all connecting. But it fact it is the building itself the main attraction and who said indoor malls are dead?!? This place is full of shops, boutiques, etc, and is really beautiful. We really enjoyed arriving here with my family, it felt very clean & very safe. If you are visiting 9/11 memorial somehow you will pass here and will not regret it!
Harry B — Google review
A great place to hang out as this is a hub for PATH and MTA trains. Lots of upper brand stores. This is by the 911 memorial. Lots of traffic. Some places to eat here as well. Finally got to see the final Oculus completed as we came here when it was still partially in construction. It’s a big open beautiful concept but too much open space, I feel. Still beautiful architectural construction and design to visit and see while in NYC.
Edna G — Google review
The Oculus at the World Trade Center is one of the most stunning architectural landmarks in New York City. Designed by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava, it looks like a giant white bird about to take flight — symbolizing hope and rebirth after 9/11. The design is breathtaking both inside and out, with bright white ribs and skylights that allow natural light to flood the space. Every angle feels futuristic, elegant, and peaceful. The best part is that entry is completely free, and you can visit any time of the day. It’s both a transportation hub and a shopping center, connecting multiple subway lines and the PATH trains to New Jersey. Inside, you’ll find Westfield World Trade Center Mall, featuring popular brands like Apple, Sephora, and Eataly, as well as several cafés and restaurants where you can relax and enjoy the view. The structure feels spacious and spotless — it’s like walking inside a modern art museum. I recommend visiting around midday when the sunlight hits the white walls beautifully, or in the evening when it’s lit up softly and looks even more magical. You can also take some amazing photos looking up at the curved ceiling or from the balcony levels. Right outside, you can walk to the 9/11 Memorial Pools and One World Observatory, both just a few steps away. It’s a great spot to take a break, shop, or simply admire the architecture. Even if you’re not shopping or commuting, it’s worth visiting just to experience its design and atmosphere. Overall, The Oculus is a masterpiece of modern architecture and one of the most photogenic places in New York. Whether you come for shopping, travel, or sightseeing — it’s absolutely worth your time.
Mahim P — Google review
Such a beautiful and modern place right next to the World Trade Center. Great mix of shopping, dining, and architecture all in one. The open white interior looks stunning in photos. Prices are a bit high, but the experience is amazing. Must-visit when in NYC!
SNJP N — Google review
An architectural wonder and a must-see location in New York City is the Oculus World Trade Center. Its magnificent white edifice, which was designed by Santiago Calatrava, represents a bird in flight and provides a motivating, light-filled, and lively atmosphere. A sizable, contemporary shopping center with upscale stores, food options, and convenient access to the PATH and metro lines is located inside. It serves as a place for shopping, photography, and introspection in addition to being a transit hub. It is exceptionally clean and well-designed, and it blends in well with the 9/11 Memorial adjacent. An exquisite fusion of urban convenience, architecture, and art.

What an architectural masterpiece. The roof from both outside and inside is constructed in a very tasteful way. Inside the terminal you will have all rail-lines, lots of retails space - food, shopping and serves as a good connecting spot between one world observatory, trade center and fulton center

This place is a stunning piece of architecture, both inside and out. There are multiple angles that you can stand at and look up to get great views and pictures. It’s an important access point for both The Path and the NYC subway system. Check out the mall and Canvas 3.0 in particular, which is tucked away in a corner, but has incredibly artistic clothing.

It's very interesting architecture. And is massive. It's basically a huge wide space shopping mall. And also has access to the Path trains. While it's looks are intriguing and has vast space, I didn't feel it was more than just a fancy mall. And this I've seen many times internationally etc. Definitely worth a visit if in the area or as a tourist but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Rockefeller Center, located in Midtown Manhattan, is a renowned complex that spans an entire city block and offers a variety of entertainment and shopping options. This iconic destination, built between 1930 and 1940, attracts tourists year-round. During the holiday season, it becomes especially popular with its famous Christmas tree and seasonal ice rink drawing thousands of visitors. The Art Deco architecture and art within the complex make it a noteworthy attraction even outside of the holiday season.
It was a childhood dream to visit here. And this place didn't disappoint; it's beautiful, just like in the movies. The building's lobby is captivating with its massive murals. The courtyard with fountains and benches is very cozy. It's even more beautiful here with the festive winter decorations.

Such a great experience going to the observation deck at the Empire State Bldg. I really enjoyed all of the different inviting displays they used to tell the history of building the Rockefeller Center. Made it really fun and interactive. We learned a lot about all of the movies made there. But then the views¡ Amazing! The sun set while ẁe were there and I loved seeing the city at night. It would be on my top 10 things to do in NYC. I highly recommend you make it part of your NYC visit.

This was an amazing experience. It was my first time ever in New York and I wanted to see something from a skyscraper. The tallest building in Ireland is around 15 storeys high so being on the 70th floor at the observation deck was a huge thrill. We signed up tot he Rockefeller centre email newsletter and had 10% off so we used the discount and for two people it worked out at $108 which was about €93 which was good value for what it was. There was no time limit and the experience was great. We would certainly do this again and it is worth it.

I went up there around 11 PM and it was the best decision. There’s no line and there’s not so many people at the top. You can take as many pictures of the stunning view as you want without worrying about the crowd. As far as I was told you can stay as long as you want to (up until 12AM). The view is 10/10. I’ve also been on top of the Ende but I think being on top of the rock is an experience in itself. Seeing the skating rink was also beautiful. Would recommend

Become part of one of New York City’s most cherished traditions by skating beneath the world-famous Rockerfeller centre Christmas tree. If skating is not your thing but you like to watch instead, why not rent one of the Apres Skate Chalets for a 40-minute reservation. They are private and heated and offer cozy seating for up to 6 people. There is also a food and beverage service available.
K 9 — Google review
Although I didn't get a chance to see the Christmas tree (currently being installed) or the Prometheus sculpture (under restoration) during my trip, the place remains magical. An iconic location, full of film references. Everything was spotless, the ice rink was beautiful, there were plenty of staff, and security was excellent. Fabulous.

A city within a city. Amazing place stunning views. A bar 67 floors up and food hall at the bottom. And of course the iconic Christmas tree 🎄. Which is being decorated ready for the 3rd December

We had Vip Tickets with the Family and James was our Tour Guide. Absolutely loved it !!! He was amazing and hilarious. We had access to everything including a private elevator on the big rooftop down to the bar. We had an amazing view, didn’t have to wait for anything and could skip every queue. We had so much time for everything and could properly enjoy this amazing experience and view. Would do it again anytime !!!

Rising majestically over Midtown Manhattan since 1931, the Empire State Building has been a magnet for visitors and tourists. This iconic Art Deco skyscraper boasts 102 stories and offers open-air observation decks on the 86th and 102nd floors, providing breathtaking views of the city. Visitors can also explore fascinating historic exhibits on-site. The building's prime location places it near Grand Central Station, the United Nations building, Times Square, and other cultural landmarks in Manhattan.
Visiting the Empire State Building was truly unforgettable. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I could feel the history and grandeur of this iconic landmark. The Art Deco design is stunning, and the elevator ride to the top builds so much excitement. The view from the 86th floor is absolutely breathtaking — you can see the entire Manhattan skyline, Central Park, and even the Statue of Liberty in the distance. I went just before sunset, and watching the city lights come alive was magical. Everything was well-organized, the staff were friendly, and the experience felt smooth from start to finish. It’s not just a tourist spot — it’s a symbol of New York itself. A must-see for anyone visiting the city!

We kinda spur of the moment decided to do this, while in NY. So didn't buy tickets in advance, although it wasn't difficult to do so there, as they had computer ordering systems on site to use, we would have been able to see and realize that there is a price difference amongst the different "time slots" and that entry times are set every 15-30mins apart. There is thorough security to get in, and lots of staff around as well. The place was clean, and spacious. The history on your way through was very interesting. The view from the top was really good, we paid extra to go to the 101 floor. And although it wasn't a huge difference from the view of the 85th floor, I'm glad we did it. Defiently recommend visiting the observation deck of the empire state building atleast once. We went up during daylight hours, so I may, someday come back for a night view.

Go see it, you won't regret the time you spend exploring this iconic building. We're from NZ, so this was a bucket list visit and I loved everything about the museum walkthrough, old footage and experiential stuff. Views are phenomenal, breath taking even on a good day like we had. We just looked and looked at the vast expanse of this city and didn't want to leave. So much NY history in the one place, it's worth the entry fee for sure. If you are remotely interested in the Empire State Building you'll love it.
Dan&Emily D — Google review
From the 86th floor, the city lights stretch in every direction—Times Square glows, traffic forms ribbons of color, and the skyline looks its best after dark. Crowds are lighter at night, so it’s easier to enjoy the view and take photos without rushing. Overall, the nighttime atmosphere feels calm and memorable. If you want a classic view of Manhattan with less daytime noise, this visit is worth it.
J M — Google review
I chose the ESB over the Rock and other viewing platforms for it's historical significance. Built in 1931, in one year and 45 days, featured in many famous movies and recognized around the world. It even has it's own zip code! My first time in NYC so definitely had to go all the way up to the 102nd floor which is completely enclosed so good for cold weather! But you have great views from the 86th floor also which is open air and enclosed. Reservations are required and earlier is less busy.
Jackie H — Google review
I found the 86th floor to be pretty adequate for photos.I didn't see a point to go all the way to the top, To be honest. The views are pretty spectacular. You get to take photos from both the eightieth floor and then open air eighty sixth floor. There's lots of museum and stuff to look through before you get up to the elevators, you can either look at it or skip it.It's up to you. Then, at the end, of course, there's a gift shop. I would highly recommend this. I would probably recommend it over some of the other tall buildings because of the history surrounding this one. And it's pretty centrally located, so you can see everything from the eighty sixth floor.

I must say, this is the most magical place on earth, if you go to New York, this is a must. The prices of the tickets are affordable and the experience makes you feel like you’re on top of the world. We went in the evening and seeing the lights of New York was magical. It bought the city to life. The staff were really friendly and the museum part was interesting as it taught you about the Empire State building. Will definitely come back and visit.

One of the great things about traveling to any city is obviously the people that you meet. In my brief visits to New York, though, I've found it difficult to meet and to engage with local folks. On Nov. 12, 2025, I woke up in the morning thinking about how cool it would be to make one great human connection that day. I whispered to the Universe that I’d like that kind of encounter – a chance to get to know the real New York. It turned out that I had been looking for such a connection in the wrong place because I wasn't looking up. That's when my wife (Won-ok) and I decided to tour the Empire State Building. That was one of the things that was on my life bucket list, something that is a quintessentially American experience. When we made it to one of the lookout areas, a very kind woman named Renita greeted us with such warmth that it was overwhelming. Some people just radiate goodness and kindness, and spending time with Renita was the only time that trip that we felt the sun. My aunt happens to have the same name so the name struck a particular chord with me. Renita asked if there is anything that we would like to know. I was a little embarrassed by how little I know about the city. Renita Immediately helped me overcome my sheepishness and began answering questions from me and Won-ok. It didn't take long for one thing to lead to another and for the three of us to find ourselves in a deep, soulful conversation. Renita told us she has been working at the building for many decades. A native New Yorker, she saw the World Trade Center go up – and she witnessed the horror of the towers going down. I learned more about the history and spirit of New York in the moments I spent with her than I did on the entire rest of my trips there combined. Renita is a credit to the Empire State Building and to the city of New York. My wife and I saw a lot of amazing things on that trip but the experience that made the greatest impact on us was Renita -- New York’s ambassador in the sky.

The Manhattan Bridge, which opened in 1909, is a suspension bridge that connects Brooklyn and Manhattan. It is known for its ornate portal and offers stunning views of the city. The southern pedestrian side provides spectacular views of the Lower East Side tenement buildings, Financial District skyscrapers, graffiti art, and a beautiful perspective of the Brooklyn Bridge. Visitors can walk across the bridge and then explore the DUMBO waterfront area.
Beautiful urban views and less crowded than Brooklyn Bridge The Manhattan Bridge offers stunning views of the NYC skyline, Brooklyn Bridge, and East River—especially during sunrise or sunset. It’s a steel suspension bridge connecting Chinatown in Manhattan to DUMBO in Brooklyn, perfect for walking, biking, or photography without the heavy crowds you’ll find on the Brooklyn Bridge. 🕒 Best time to visit: Morning (before 10 AM) for peaceful walks and soft lighting. Golden hour (just before sunset) for incredible skyline views and photo ops. 🚶‍♀️ Pedestrian entrance: From Manhattan: Canal Street & Bowery (Chinatown side) From Brooklyn: Near Washington Street in DUMBO 🚴‍♂️ Bike lane and subway lines (Q, B, D, N) also run across the bridge. Ideal for anyone wanting a more local, authentic NYC experience with postcard-worthy views.

A really great walk back from Brooklyn to Manhattan, this isn’t as clean tidy and tourist prepared as the Brooklyn bridge is. But it is a much quieter walk back, with no stalls trying to sell you things or lots of people all grabbing photos in front of you. The views are as impressive as the Brooklyn bridge all be it not as easily taken due to the wire fencing. A great walk on a nice day, if you want a more relaxed and quiet walk back definitely give the Manhattan bridge a go.
D G — Google review
A raw, underrated NYC gem with unbeatable skyline views! The Manhattan Bridge offers one of the most authentic and breathtaking walks in New York City. While it doesn’t get the same tourist buzz as the Brooklyn Bridge, it delivers amazing views of the Brooklyn Bridge itself, the East River, and the Manhattan skyline — especially during sunset. The pedestrian and bike paths are separate, making it a calmer, more local experience. You’ll feel the rumble of the subway trains passing by, which adds to the gritty charm. The bridge connects Chinatown to DUMBO, so you can enjoy great food and photo ops on either end. Highly recommended if you want less crowds and more real NYC.
Swapnil M — Google review
The Manhattan Bridge is one of the bridges that connects two boroughs in NYC, Manhattan and Brooklyn. It offers transportation for vehicles, the subway, and bicycles/ pedestrians. While in Chinatown, my boyfriend and I decided to look for the Manhattan skyline viewpoint, which is located on the pedestrian path. The pedestrian path is on one side of the bridge, while the bicycle is on the other. Beware though, there are bicyclist that rode on the pedestrian path, and there are many runners that take this route. The bridge is quite long, at over 2 miles. It took us almost 40 minutes to walk across, with stopping periodically to take some pictures. Since it is quite long, make sure you are dedicated to the trek, because once you're in it you either turn back around or push through. It was quite empty on the bridge, with folks walking by at some points but mostly you're by yourself. This makes it a little spooky, especially at times when the subway runs by, the whole bridge shakes and is very loud. You are also caged in so it's pretty safe while walking. There are a few holes in the fence I think created by passerby's at pretty view points. Although the journey was long and my boyfriend and I were quite exhausted by the end, it offered breathtaking views of the city and Brooklyn Bridge, that are worthwhile. Plus, we got to explore Dumbo in Brooklyn afterwards. Overall do this if you want a challenging adventure with unique views of the city.

The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the East River in New York City, connecting Lower Manhattan at Canal Street with Downtown Brooklyn at the Flatbush Avenue Extension. Designed by Leon Moisseiff, the bridge has a total length of 6,855 ft (2,089 m). The bridge is one of four vehicular bridges directly connecting Manhattan Island and Long Island; the nearby Brooklyn Bridge is just slightly farther west, while the Queensboro and Williamsburg bridges are to the north.

It's an ok Bridge but after walking over Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge feels so-so. The bridge was proposed in 1898 and was originally called "Bridge No. 3" before being renamed the Manhattan Bridge in 1902. Foundations for the bridge's suspension towers were completed in 1904, followed by the anchorages in 1907 and the towers in 1908. The Manhattan Bridge opened to traffic on December 31, 1909, and began carrying streetcars in 1912 and New York City Subway trains in 1915. The eastern upper-deck roadway was installed in 1922. After streetcars stopped running in 1929, the western upper roadway was finished two years later. The uneven weight of subway trains crossing the Manhattan Bridge caused it to tilt to one side, necessitating an extensive reconstruction between 1982 and 2004. The Manhattan Bridge was the first suspension bridge to use a Warren truss in its design. It has a main span of 1,480 ft (451 m) between two 350-foot (110 m) suspension towers. The deck carries seven vehicular lanes, four on an upper level and three on a lower level, as well as four subway tracks, two each flanking the lower-level roadway. The span is carried by four main cables, which travel between masonry anchorages at either side of the bridge, and 1,400 vertical suspender cables. Carrère and Hastings designed ornamental plazas at both ends of the bridge, including an arch and colonnade in Manhattan that is a New York City designated landmark. The bridge's use of light trusses influenced the design of other long suspension bridges in the early 20th century.

Took a tour boat under the Manhattan Bridge on a chilly, rainy day, and it was unforgettable! The bridge loomed above, its steel frame cutting through the misty drizzle, looking both majestic and moody. The cold air bit my face, but the boat’s gentle sway and the city’s skyline shimmering through the rain made it magical. A unique way to see NYC’s grit and beauty—bundle up and go for it!

The Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and democracy, is an iconic national monument in New York City. Standing at 151 feet tall, it was a gift from France to the United States in 1886. Visitors can take guided tours and explore the museum on Liberty Island for stunning harbor and city views. Ferries run regularly from Battery Park and Liberty State Park for easy access.
We booked our visit through Statue City Cruises, the official and only authorized provider for trips to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island — and that’s important to know, as plenty of unofficial sellers will try to offer you “alternative” tickets. We had seen the Statue of Liberty from the water before — on a speedboat called The Beast back in 2018 — but this was our first time setting foot on Liberty Island. And what a difference that makes. The island is larger than we expected, with plenty of space to walk around, grab a snack, and take photos from every angle. We picked up the included audio guide, which offers three different tours, but ended up just exploring on our own. The view toward Manhattan is spectacular, and the statue itself is iconic — impressive both up close and from afar. We tried to get tickets for the crown, but those were sold out nearly two months in advance, so book early if that’s on your list. The museum visit at the end was fascinating, offering great context and artifacts. No wonder over four million people visit every year. A beautiful and memorable experience — absolutely worth the time and effort.

The Statue of Liberty is one of the most iconic symbols of freedom, and visiting it feels special from start to finish. The ferry ride itself offers breathtaking views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Liberty Island is peaceful, clean, and full of great photo spots. The Statue looks massive and impressive from up close, and the museum gives deep insight into its construction, symbolism, and restoration. If you book the pedestal or crown tickets early, the views are even better. Expect lines during peak hours, but the organization is smooth. Overall, it’s a must-visit landmark for anyone coming to New York.

An Amazing Visit to the Statue of Liberty! My visit to the Statue of Liberty was amazing. What a spectacular statue! Today was clear and sunny, which made it a perfect day for pictures and videos. I totally recommend that people come to visit and see this magnificent art. My Recommendations for Your Trip: Book in Advance: Purchase your tickets online before you go. Trust me, the line to buy tickets on-site is insane. Check the Weather: Choose your day wisely and make sure it is sunny. The views are so much better! Charge Your Devices: Make sure your phone and professional camera are fully charged before you leave. You don't want to miss a shot!

We booked to view this historic and iconic landmark via statue city cruises. We had a very smooth experience starting from the queue management, security checking, cruise to the liberty island and back. Very well managed and staffs were there to guide us. The experience is great. This monument stands tall and it reminds us about all the history related to it. Beautiful in short. When you visit NYC, this is the must visit place. Iconic and beautiful.

Our trip to Liberty State Park was fantastic from start to finish. We bought tickets from the NJ side. Parking was easy. Buying tickets on mobile was super smooth, and going through security was a breeze. We went during the week and experienced absolutely no wait time—both on the way there and coming back. The ferry itself was clean and comfortable. The first and second floors are fully heated, which was perfect, and the top deck offers amazing views. Overall, a seamless and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend! Below a Picture of the actual NJ ferry

We really enjoyed our visit to the Statue of Liberty! The entire area was very clean and well maintained, and the museum was full of fascinating information - a great mix of history and insight. The walk around the island was lovely, offering amazing views of downtown Manhattan, New Jersey, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Ellis Island. It’s truly a special perspective of New York. The cafeteria food was decent, with better prices than expected, and the souvenir shop had something for every taste and budget. Overall, a memorable experience that’s absolutely worth it for anyone visiting NYC.

I visited the Statue of Liberty with my mom and sister, and it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. Seeing it up close was honestly breathtaking the statue is much larger than I expected, and the views from the pedestal were beautiful . We took the ferry from Battery Park, which was really easy and gave us great views of both Liberty Island and Ellis Island along the way. Hiking up as far as we could inside the statue was such a cool experience you really get to appreciate the scale and craftsmanship of this incredible monument. A few fun facts: the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France in 1886 to celebrate freedom and democracy. She’s made of copper, which has oxidized over time to create her iconic green color, and her full height from base to torch is about 305 feet! The seven rays on her crown represent the seven continents and seven seas, symbolizing liberty spreading across the world. If you’re visiting New York, this is an absolute must-do. It’s historic, inspiring, and truly beautiful an experience that makes you appreciate what the Statue of Liberty stands for. 🗽✨ *UNESCO heritage site*

Vessel, located in Hudson Yards, New York City, is a striking and heavily photographed attraction that has quickly become an iconic landmark. Designed by renowned British architect Thomas Heatherwick, this honeycomb structure consists of 154 interlocking flights of stairs totaling 1776 steps. Climbing the Vessel offers visitors stunning views of The Big Apple and nearby attractions such as Hudson Yards, The High Line, and Chelsea Piers.
This is a fun activity for all ages. Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing. Nice views and a cool breeze. The cost is reasonable. Unfortunately you cannot go to the top and some of the better viewing areas are covered in netting.

Such an awesome experience! If you're like me and don't really want to spend a lot on seeing NYC from higher buildings, this is a great alternative! Even though it's a couple of stairs there's also elevators, thr view is amazing from the top and the staff was organized and kind. The tickets were affordable for $10 each. Come visit!
A — Google review
Though an eye catching structure (not enough to call it a building) I found it overpriced to go in since the top floors were closed and most of it is wrapped in wire. The elevator goes every 15 min and takes 5 people, you will be using the stairs unless you want to wait standing. Overall $18.5 to move up and down the stairs and not being able to reach the top feels deceiving. Better seen from afar. Architecture is great and well crafted.

Great design. Beautiful honeycomb-shaped design structure that you can admire either at a distance or up close. Lots of stairs and sometimes you gotta go down first before you go up. Book your tickets in advance, slightly more by the gate and dynamic pricing in effect. (Time of day.)

The Vessel is one of the most unique and eye-catching landmarks in New York. Its honeycomb-like structure made of interconnecting staircases has a futuristic, almost mesmerizing look. The copper-colored exterior reflects the light beautifully — it looks stunning from every angle. It’s located in Hudson Yards and really stands out as a modern piece of art and architecture. Even if you don’t go up the stairs, just seeing it up close is impressive. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Experiencing the hustle and bustle of this iconic landmark is a must when in New York City. You can shop, grab a meal, or simply admire the stunning architecture. Don’t forget to snap a photo of the multi-million dollar Tiffany glass clock, and let your imagination run wild—maybe you’ll spot a Russian spy or clandestine exchange, just like in the movies. We giggled like kids when we found the Whispering Gallery—and yes, it really works! We were whispering sweet nothings to each other while crowds bustled by. A violinist busker at the top of the stairs added to the drama and magic, playing beautifully beneath the glittering chandeliers. Stand in a corner and just watch the world go by—you won’t regret it.

As the largest indoor theater globally, it boasts an impressive auditorium measuring 160 feet from back to stage.
This place is truly ICONIC! We did the tour. The TOUR: Enjoyable and informative. The place is really beautiful. It was recently renovated. We saw the auditorium and stage from upstairs, before a show. They took us up into areas I didn't even know existed, practice areas, costume room, old Original seats upstairs, etc. We met one of the Rockettes, she talked with us and took questions. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. We Learned details about the history. Many classic pictures on the walls of hallways. Touring New York? Recommend! Helpful?

We went to the Christmas Spectacular Rockettes 100th Anniversary event and it was amazing!. All the performers were excellent! The Rocketts, impeccable! The staff who worked the event that evening were very friendly and knowledgeable. I honestly cannot say enough about the staff who work in the bathroom. You can only imagine how long the women's bathroom line is at the end of the show they have I would say at least 10 if not more staff members who get you in and out of that line super fast, and they are super organized and have it down to a science. I have never been to a place where the bathroom has been super organized like that. 5 STARS ALL AROUND.. I LOVE NYC!

Radio City is one of the most acoustically sound theaters I have been in. I attended the Ludovico Einaudi concert on Sunday and it was absolutely AMAZING! Despite being up on 2nd mezzanine, there really isnt a bad seat in the house. You can feel the music in your soul. Great venue! Great artist! Comfortable seats and convenient restrooms and food access. I can't wait to be back here for another event soon. Tons of staff, all pleasant and helpful.

We have been there for the Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes. It was awesome. A great Show and the Radio City Music Hall is a "must see" not only during winter- or christmastime. We love it...

On a mother-daughter birthday celebration to New York City in November, we attended the 100th anniversary Christmas spectacular. Spectacular is the perfect word for this performance. I am a wheelchair user. The staff at Radio City from security to restroom attendance to concession, ushers everyone was amazing. Radio City Music Hall is beautifully decorated and awe-inspiring. The show was the best I'd ever seen in 2025. I started going to Radio City as a child in the mid-1970s and went every year for a number of years. We had not been back in probably 15 years. It was certainly worth the wait.

We saw the Rockettes on Saturday night. I think it’s a worthwhile performance that you should get orchestrated tickets closer to the front to appreciate the Rockettes since the seating goes very far back rather than wide. The lights are nice. There is one bathroom in the basement that has a long line so arrive early if you need to use the bathroom. The show has no intemission.
Jaye B — Google review
We saw the Christmas show. It's the Rockettes: you know what you're going to see. A medley of songs, synchronized dancing women, legs. We got our tickets last minute and sat in the back corner of the mezzanine. The show used their screens and practical effects well, the sound system made everything clearly audible and the show was fun. My wife fell asleep. I liked it: I would get better seats so I could make out the faces of the dancers. If $100/hour or more is in your entertainment budget and you're a dancer or have dreamed of seeing the Rockettes, go see it. If not, you aren't missing a life changing show. Get your tickets early.

Walk back in time at Radio City Music Hall. Went to see the Rockettes, mom was right what an incredible performance! The hard work shows in the precision choreography. The show is one delightful moment to the next! Compares to any Disney Broadway production. The historical art deco was saved by the Rockette organization. Celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2025!

Grand Central Terminal is a historic train station in New York City that opened to the public in 1913. It features both rail and subway trains, with a main concourse considered an architectural masterpiece. The terminal's opulence and size reflect the industrial might of its era. Visitors can explore the Grand Central Terminal Gift Shop, known for its diverse souvenirs including themed collections, children's items, books, technology accessories, vintage memorabilia, jewelry, home decor, and maps.
Grand Central Terminal is one of those places that truly feels alive. The architecture is stunning - that celestial ceiling, the marble halls, and the constant rhythm of people coming and going make it unforgettable. Even if you’re not taking a train, it’s worth visiting just to soak in the atmosphere. There are plenty of shops and cafés downstairs, and the food hall is perfect for a quick bite. I especially liked how easy it is to navigate, even with kids. Everything feels clean, safe, and surprisingly organized for such a busy place. Whether you come for photos, coffee, or to catch a train, it’s a must-see NYC landmark.

It was really cool to finally see Grand Central Station, the architecture is amazing and even outside you could see the Empire State Building. It was definitely crowded inside so I'd definitely go early if you don't wanna be moving in between too many people. Downstairs there's a decent food court should you need a drink, snack or bathroom break. It was a cool experience and I'd like to revisit someday and check out more of the area around it.

The Grand Central Terminal is iconic, beautiful, and a must see place to experience the amazing essence of visiting Manhattan! Many live action and animated movies over the years have been filmed at this location, and the terminal also serves as a junction to the subways and railroads to New York and other states. The terminal is amazingly, beautiful, and the grand architecture features detailed frescoes on the wide ceilings, which brings joy and wonder to the heart as you can see in the pictures. There are also restaurants that serve food and coffee, and they have clean bathroom facilities as well. The elevators are also magnificent as they transport people to and from different platforms and streets of New York City. People from all over the world come and see the Grand Central Terminal, so I highly recommend a visit to this iconic gem of Manhattan, New York!

Grand Central Station is truly one of New York City’s most breathtaking landmarks. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the stunning celestial ceiling, the grand arches, and a timeless elegance that makes the hustle and bustle feel almost cinematic. It’s more than just a transit hub — it’s a piece of living history. The station is spotless, well-organized, and surprisingly easy to navigate despite the crowds. I loved standing at the main concourse, just taking in the energy of the city moving around me. The Whispering Gallery is a fun hidden gem, and the shops and dining options make it a perfect stop whether you’re catching a train or just exploring. A must-visit in NYC, even if you’re not traveling anywhere. 🚆✨

Nice historical station ine the center of NY! While taking a break, I took the chance to keep reading my thriller Honesty Bar (found it on Amazon — available in both English and French). It’s a gripping story that’s great for the whole family ( no violence) taking me on a journey from Paris to Warsaw to the Seychelles. Absolutely loving it!

Grand Central Terminal is a truly beautiful and historic building. The architecture is stunning, and despite the huge number of people passing through every day, they do a good job keeping the place clean and well-maintained. The only downside is the bathrooms — they’re quite a mess and definitely not up to the same standard as the rest of the terminal

Grand central is a crazy but cool place. It’s beautiful and there’s a whole lot to see and do within Grand Central. Shops and markets along with an impressive variety of restaurants and grab and go food. Grand Central itself is beautiful with impressive architecture and some really cool old elevators. The New York Public Library - Stephen A. Visitors are greeted by the famous marble lions guarding the entrance and can explore the grand public spaces on a free guided tour, including the impressive Rose Main Reading Room on the third floor.
This library is breathtaking, magnificent. Stepping inside feels like entering a world that most people only ever see on the big screen. In fact, many famous movies and TV shows have been filmed here. It’s an experience worth having—don’t miss the charming shop filled with books, stationery, and delightful treasures that are sure to catch your eye. The artwork, the architecture, the very soul of the library are flawless. For book lovers and culture enthusiasts, this is a must-see. There is also an entire section dedicated to the history of literature, making the visit even more enriching.

Breath taking NYC history & architecture worth seeing! The library is steps away from Bryant Park so enjoy a lunch in the park before adventuring over! Simply stunning outside with grand staircase entry, fountains & so many photo ops. My fave spot was the stunning massive stone archways at the top of the steps before entering! The inside was just as grand with immaculate granite carved staircase & grand hallways with floor to ceiling windows. They have a really nice bookstore / cafe to check out while here!

So happy I finally got to visit the NY Public Library, it was so amazing to see! The lions outside were so cool and regal looking as if guarding the area. We went a little after they opened and there already was a lot of people but that's expected for a popular spot. Be mindful that it's still a library so there will be areas you're not allowed to access or take photos in. While most of the library and it's exhibits are free you may wanna schedule a tour to gain admittance to certain areas most of the visitors can't enter during certain times. Either way the architecture of the building is beautiful and amazing to see. There's lots to check out and I'd go again just to learn more about its history. Definitely a must see when you're in NY.

Very popular place to visit. Wonderful gift shop. You will go through security prior to entering. I took the Library's free tour which requires an advance sign up online. The tour was led by a volunteer. It was very informative and allowed access to the Rose Reading Room. The tour discusses the history, architecture and various rooms. Most rooms which are research and aren't open to the public. I also took the Library's free tour of the Polonsky Treasures Tour (sign up 15 minutes prior at exhibition entrance). Most important, I obtained a temporary library card!! I signed up online and had my application validated at a branch.

The Stephen A. Schwarzman Building of the New York Public Library, perfectly situated adjacent to Bryant Park, is an absolute must-see—and not just for bookworms. Interior & Atmosphere: I was genuinely surprised and impressed by the cleanliness and the sheer scale of the building. It spans three magnificent floors that are stunning to walk through. The staff members are clearly dedicated and were very welcoming and helpful, which makes exploring such a large, historic building a pleasant experience. Beyond Books: Even if you don't plan to spend the whole day in the reading rooms, it's worth a visit. You can easily stop by the ground-floor cafe and gift shop for a quick break or souvenir. The architecture and the iconic Rose Reading Room (when accessible) are attractions in themselves. A Note on the Exterior: While there is a highly visible "No Smoking" sign right outside the library doors, you will notice that this rule is, unfortunately, often overlooked by the public on the steps. Highly recommend stopping by to appreciate this beautiful, well-maintained civic treasure.

The New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building is absolutely breathtaking. The architecture alone is worth the visit — grand staircases, elegant reading rooms, and those iconic lions at the entrance make it feel like stepping into history. The Rose Main Reading Room is stunning and incredibly peaceful, perfect for reading, studying, or just soaking in the atmosphere. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the exhibits are well curated. A true New York gem and a must-visit for anyone who loves books, history, or beautiful spaces.

Gantry Plaza State Park is a 12-acre park located on four piers along the East River in Queens, New York. The park offers stunning views of Manhattan and features restored gantries. The neighborhood surrounding the park has undergone significant transformation, attracting artists and executives with its easy commute to midtown, abundant warehouse space, and low rents. Visitors can also explore nearby cultural hubs such as MoMA PS1 and the Chocolate Factory.
Beautiful park right on the water, with great views of the skyline. A perfect place for photography. There are plenty of people enjoying the space but it didn't feel crowded. Highly recommend watching the sunset across the city from here.

A fantastic urban oasis, easily accessible by public transport and walking - we come from Astoria, Queens by taking the N train to Queensboro plaza then walking the rest of the way through lovely Long Island City that has undergone amazing improvements for the better in the last 3 decades. There’s so much to do here in the park. You can sit down to look at the river and the stunning views across the water, go for a walk along the winding paths, watch people play beach volleyball or kids running around, laugh at the many dogs having a field day, take a ferry or have a picnic… the choice of having a beautifully peaceful time is yours!

This park is incredibly peaceful and offers plenty of things to do. There’s a playground for kids, a dog park, and sand volleyball courts—perfect for playing year-round, though especially fun in the summer. It’s also a very popular route for runners, and I can see why—it’s spacious, clean, and relaxing. From my point of view, it has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning and worth staying for. A perfect place to unwind, exercise, or just enjoy the scenery.

Much of the crowd is by northern end. The bottom half of the park is largely empty, but still fairly nice. The pathways and park is very well maintained with many exploring the riverside scenery. The view from the Hunter point library is quite spectacular.

The park is on the river bank, and you have the skyline of New York City in front of you. You can appreciate some history of the city when seeing the heavy unloading machinery on the edge of the bank. Food festival is another attraction. Very nice casual place inside a busy, crowded urban city.

A beautiful, lovely park. Visiting Gantry Plaza park felt healing as the place was significantly less crowded than the ones in Manhattan. It was also a plus that the park offered some awestruck view of the skylines. It’s a must-see place to visit when the weather’s nice.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, located in Central Park, New York City, is a world-renowned museum housing over two million pieces of art from various time periods and cultures. From Egyptian hieroglyphics to European masterpieces by artists like Picasso and Van Gogh, the museum offers a comprehensive look at human civilization.
Wonderful experience. When you get here especially on the weekends there is a long line but rest assured it goes very fast but I don't mind for security sake. There are discounts for new Yorkers and veterans seniors. As soon as you walk in you will be amazed with the elaborate staircase and walking in on the first floor welcome to ancient Egypt. Explore the continents Africa Europe Asia..... my wife and I enjoy it I like the old houses inside she likes the paintings. And a cafe on the first floor and a restaurant on top I believe 5th. We had the morning free before flying home and wanted to visit somewhere new to us. You could actually spend the whole day in this magnificent museum. It's structurally beautiful as well as having displays that are truly impressive. The Egyptian items were outstanding, the burial items, jewellery and finds took our breath away. The wall paintings on the burial building were spectacular. Also the photograph of the wooden replica boats all broken and then repaired and on display were incredible. They all had a black bob hairstyle! The Greek section was fabulous as was the Asian. The African panels on the ceiling, totem poles, tribal costumes and carvings were beautifully painted and definitely a favourite of ours. The Japanese garden was quiet and a place of calm and very much represented the culture. We had a quick stop at the cafe, the queue went down fairly quickly and people were constantly moving so tables became available. This museum turned into a highlight of our trip and I have already told friends to put it on their to do list when visiting New York.

⭐️ Incredible World-Class Museum in the Heart of NYC. I visited The Metropolitan Museum of Art and bought my ticket at the entrance. It was busy with tourists, but once you step inside the galleries the museum is so huge that the crowds spread out quickly. The exhibits are absolutely incredible — Egyptian mummies, sarcophagi, medieval knights, full suits of armor, ancient weapons, paintings, sculptures, musical instruments, and so much more. The collection is massive and honestly mind-blowing. At some point we were so tired from walking that we had to stop, because this place is endless. It really feels like stepping into ancient Egypt, medieval Europe, and world history all inside Manhattan. There are clean restrooms, plenty of places to rest, and a nice gift shop on the way out. A must-visit NYC museum. Highly recommended! 📸🇺🇸

I haven’t been to the MET ever since coming back from the army. I used to go all the time, especially when they would have new exhibits in the museum. What made me go in the first place was because I’m writing an essay on art for my art history class. I wanted to share so of the photos that I took on my journey.

Man Ray exhibit was fantastic. Ancient Egypt was also very cool. So big, impossible to see all in 1 visit. upstairs musical instruments room was awesome and the armor and swords too. loved the big open natural light room where the Egyptian tomb was. Really great place.

The Met in NYC is one of those rare places that somehow exceeds the hype. The moment you walk in, you feel the weight of history, culture, and artistry from every corner of the world. The collection is massive — truly something for everyone — but it never feels overwhelming. Every gallery is intentional, beautifully curated, and full of details that pull you in. What I appreciated most was how easy it was to get lost in time. One minute you’re in ancient Egypt, the next you’re staring at a Van Gogh that stops you in your tracks. The staff is friendly, the layout is intuitive, and the entire experience feels like stepping into a different world for a few hours. If you’re in NYC, this is a non-negotiable stop. It’s not just a museum — it’s an experience you carry with you long after you leave.
Marcio C — Google review
Carved out 3 hours and still barely got through maybe a half(if even that) of the museum. The staff there was great and the student discount of 17$ was pretty great, and I think it’s awesome that New York residents and local students only pay if they want to, that’s a cool perk. One thing is, at times it definitely felt like a maze getting through the galleries.

Bryant Park, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, is a popular 4-acre green space behind the NY Public Library's main branch. It offers a relaxing break from the city with lush gardens, benches, and shady spots. The park hosts various events throughout the year including summer movie nights, fitness classes, live concerts, and art installations. In winter, visitors can enjoy ice skating and browse through Christmas markets while sipping on mulled wine.
My favorite place in NYC. I love to get a coffee & pastry at a local Cafe and just sit. I could easily stay for hours. Holiday time is a different story- too much chaos. But any other time is perfection.

Beautiful park area in the city. There are currently many Christmas booths of unique items set up and food vendors. We enjoyed the outdoor ice skating rink though there was a bit of a line. The weekends can be packed with people and we saw many less folks during the weekday. It is a nice break from the concrete jungle.

Located adjacent to the New York Public Library, the Winter Village transforms Bryant Park into the definitive New York Christmas and winter experience. The Atmosphere: Visiting here truly signals that you are now immersed in the holiday season. The festive atmosphere created by the sheer number of local markets, the large central ice skating rink, and the beautiful holiday lights is nothing short of magical. It is an essential stop for anyone visiting New York during the colder months. Shopping & Activities: The open-air market is excellent for finding unique, local artisan gifts, and the free-admission ice skating (note: rentals cost extra) is a major draw. Value & Security: While the experience is priceless, I will be honest: the food offerings are not my favorite and can be quite pricey. Be prepared to pay a premium for convenience, though the ambiance makes up for it! On a positive and important note, the park feels incredibly safe due to the visible presence of security personnel on the premises. Conclusion: This is a must-visit during winter for the unparalleled holiday spirit, the vibrant markets, and the ice skating fun. Just budget wisely for any food or drinks!

Prior to a visit to NYC 10 years ago for my wife's 50th birthday celebrations in Sep 2015 we had never heard of Bryant Park, which we discovered to our great delight whilst we were staying in a hotel opposite the Port Authority Bus Terminal, which is nearby. It's a 9.6 acre privately managed public park that provides provides a very welcomed green oasis of calm & tranquility away from the frenzied chaos of Time Square just 1 block away in mid-town Manhattan. There's always lots of free activities for the public to enjoy all year round inside the park - my wife really enjoyed an open air performance of Shakespeare's play 'Much Ado About Nothing' in 2015, which was a highlight of her visit. So when we returned to NYC to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday in Sep 2025 we made sure we booked a hotel (The Shelburne Sonesta on Lexington Ave) that was within easy walking distance of Bryant Park so we could enjoy the park and daily activities within it. During our latest visit we enjoyed 2x free morning yoga sessions, a piano concert and numerous trips to the cafes within and around the park. There was a very full schedule of activities and musical concerts for every one of the 12 days of our trip that could have kept us at the park all day, everyday. We also visited the Main Branch of the New York Public Library at the Eastern end of the park and what are, in my wife's opinion, the best free public toilets she's ever used on our travels, that are kept spotlessly clean by a no nonsense Asian lady who managed the constant queues of customers to the toilets in one corner of the park very firmly. They had beautiful fresh flower arrangements on display, soothing classic music playing and Japanese style toilets that automatically roll out a paper cover over the toilet seat after each flush. If we ever visit NYC in the winter we would love to attend the activites within the Winter Village at the park, with its centrepiece 17,000 sq ft ice rink with free-admission ice skating, high quality rental skates, free skating shows and events.

I recently visited this lovely park that truly offered a scenic experience. The atmosphere was peaceful, and I felt completely safe throughout my time there. One of the highlights was the abundance of seating options, with plenty of tables available for visitors to relax and enjoy their surroundings. Plus there were packs of well behaved teenagers there. I feel old seeing that but it was nice to see. While we were there, we discovered a great area with 20+ tables where we set up our Ring camera and tripod. We took some time to film a quick video, which took about 20 minutes and then left. Next time we visit, we're planning to explore the library at the top of the stairs. Nice experience.

The Brooklyn Heights Promenade is a picturesque tree-lined walkway that offers stunning views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and the iconic Manhattan skyline. This hidden gem provides ample walking space and benches for visitors to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery. The promenade also features historic mansions on one side, adding to its charm. From this vantage point, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Lower Manhattan, including the World Trade Center.
Incredible pedestrian walking path over the Brooklyn Bridge. Unbeatable views of the city. Bring some water with you on hot days. There are people in the bridge selling hats and other small souvenirs. We also saw a couple people who will take your photo and print it out or airdrop it to you for a small fee. We took advantage of this and got some cool pics for just $15. There’s some history of the bridge in the middle at one of the arches. There’s also an area where people have tied hair ties to this bridge as a safer alternative to the love locks. There’s also bridge is a little over a mile long so wear good walking shoes and have a great time! There is a slight incline at entrance and exit and then it’s pretty even once you reach the highest elevation.

One of the stunning places overlooking the East River offering panoramic views of NYC skyline, Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty. Visit in the evening to enjoy the view at sunset. This pedestrian walkway stretches from west end of Remsen street to the west end of Orange street with access points at Montague street and Pierrepoint place, Clark street and Pineapple street. There is a park for kids called Pierrepont playground for kids at the entrance of Pierrepoint place. The promenade has wheel-chair accessible entrances. It seems to be a favorite destination for walkers, joggers and for people to capture their special moments like engagements and weddings.

Incredible view from high ground overlooking Manhattan skyline, East River, Brooklyn Bridge, all the piers. The Brooklyn Heights Promenade, also called the Esplanade,[1] is a 1,826-foot (557 m)-long platform and pedestrian walkway cantilevered over the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (Interstate 278) in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York City, United States. With views of Lower Manhattan's skyline and the New York Harbor, it came about as the byproduct of competing proposals for the highway's route that were resolved in the midst of World War II. Actual construction came after the war. As a structure built over a roadway, the Promenade is owned by the NYCDOT and is not considered a park; however, NYC Parks maintains the entire Promenade. The Promenade runs from the west end of Remsen Street to the west end of Orange Street and can additionally be accessed from Montague Street and Pierrepont Place and the west ends of Pierrepont Street, Clark Street and Pineapple Street.

Right above the BQE, overlooking Brooklyn Bridge Park is the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. It is an elevated walkway with some excellent views of the Manhattan skyline and the park below. There are plenty of park benches along the walkway. No bike riding allowed.

Nestled on the outskirts of Brooklyn's expansive Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a 52-acre haven boasting over 14,000 plant species from diverse climates. Visitors can explore a Japanese garden featuring serene waterfalls and tea houses, vibrant rose gardens, and an interactive children's garden. The annual cherry blossom festival is a hit with families. With weekly events and educational programs for adults, there's always something new to discover in this urban paradise.
Beautiful place, lots to see. We enjoyed perfect weather and walked through most of this large garden. A lake with Japanese garden, roses, rock garden and many other beautiful flowers and trees. Bonsai collection is nice. Good small cafe to eat lunch. Highly recommend to visit!

Beautiful botanical garden. After missing a layover at JFK and getting trapped in NY for a day, this was a wonderful place to visit. The "100 Years of Bonsai" exhibit was superb and all the garden is wonderfully well kept. I will definitely visit again next time I miss a flight.

I love the garden. Even though I’ve visited a few gardens over the years, this one (luckily my local one) is the best. There are lots of hidden treasures, quiet paths, and lawns to relax on, plus flowers, trees, and bushes from all over the world. You can easily spend a few hours or the whole day here. There are plenty of birds, animals, and beautiful statues scattered throughout. Nature heals. Make sure to stop by the “gift shop.” It was updated a few years ago and now looks state-of-the-art.
Jane K — Google review
One of the most beautiful gardens in NYC. You can spend hours here. It is very large and has a lot of different sections and exhibits. There are specific sections that closes earlier than the botanical garden itself, so you want to do your research on what you want to see. This is just one of the things you should see if you are in NYC.

You ever have a friend who got a little too into plants. Give them half a Billion dollar endowment and this is what you'd end up with. It's educational, sure, but it's breathtakingly beautiful at the same time. Great way to spend an afternoon in Brooklyn.

Great anytime of the year if you enjoy nature or plants. The light show is also beautiful but definitely try to see the Botanic Gardens in the day. If it weren’t for the constant sirens of NYC, you could almost forget that you’re in the middle of Brooklyn as it’s such a serene and well maintained space. Bonus points because I can use Culture Pass with my Bk Library card to visit for free!

First off, they have amazing customer service. Everyone I talked to was helpful and kind. Even in the colder fall weather, there was still a lot to see and enjoy. My highlights were the Shakespeare Garden and the Bonsai room. As an educator, I appreciate all they have for students.

Over the weekend I visited the botanical garden in Brooklyn. From the start the city fades away: it’s quiet, well kept, and full of greenery with neat walking paths. The routes are easy to follow—take a short loop or wander longer and pause in the calmer corners. I loved the mix of open areas and wilder-feeling spots; it feels outside the city even though you’re still in it. Overall it felt clean, intentional, and relaxing. I left feeling inspired and refreshed—a great weekend escape without the hassle.

It can get crowded during peak times, but the space is large enough to soak in the ambiance.

An iconic and picturesque highlight of Central Park! There are so many elements that make this area beautiful. In addition to it being a peaceful nature spot, it’s also a great place to get your photos taken; I saw multiple engagements and a wedding during my visit! Fairly quiet in the early morning but gets busy later on.

Beautiful terrace overlooking Bethesda Fountain and the lake next to it. The tile work on the ceiling is phenomenal. Sometimes there are talented musicians playing there, adding to the ambiance of the place. It get busy at times especially on a good, sunny day as people love to use this area for wedding photoshoots and other occasions.

Bethesda Terrace is one of Central Park’s most picturesque and recognizable landmarks. The fountain is elegant and peaceful, perfectly framed by its scenic location near the lake. The grand staircase and the beautiful arcade beneath the terrace add a touch of timeless charm. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this is a spot that captures the magic of Central Park and is well worth a stop.

When I think back to my visit to Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, I can still feel the energy of that moment. The place itself is beautiful—the grand staircases, the arches, the carvings, and of course, the fountain standing gracefully at the center. But what stayed with me wasn’t just how it looked, it was how it *felt*. As I walked down into the terrace, I suddenly heard music. A man was playing a big violin, and other instruments joined in. The sound filled the arches, echoing in a way that made the whole space come alive. It stopped me in my tracks. For a moment, I forgot I was in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world. I just stood there, completely drawn in by the music. People all around me slowed down too. Strangers who had been rushing suddenly gathered, leaning on the railings, sitting on the steps, quietly listening. I looked around and saw the same expression on so many faces peaceful, emotional, almost mesmerized. It was as if the music had created a little pause button in the middle of New York’s chaos. What touched me most was how emotional it felt. The music wasn’t just background sound; it seemed to speak to something deeper. It made me reflect, made me smile, and even brought a lump to my throat. I don’t remember the exact tune, but I remember the feeling it left behind; like I was part of something bigger, even if just for a few minutes. Bethesda Terrace is stunning in itself, but with that music, it became unforgettable for me. It wasn’t about ticking off a landmark on my list, it was about an experience; one that was alive, raw, and shared with complete strangers who felt the same magic in that moment.

Observation deck
Edge NYC is a 100-story observation deck located at 30 Hudson Yards, New York City. Opened in 2020, it offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the city, including unique perspectives with glass floor panels. As the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, it provides an unmatched open-air experience suspended in mid-air. Visitors can enjoy views of iconic landmarks such as the Empire State Building and the Hudson River while feeling like they are floating in the sky.
We could see the edge from our hotel room so we chose this view activity. It was fantastic. The weather was perfect. The views were phenomenal. The decorated photo op spots were fun. We had a great time and got some good pics. The Edge is well organized with friendly, helpful staff to guide you to the top. LOVED THIS VIEW!!! I even stood on the glass floor.
Jan L — Google review
We visited The Edge around 1 PM, and it was already quite crowded, which made it tricky to enjoy the views or take decent photos without bumping into people. The view itself is impressive, but because of the crowd and the cloudy weather, it lost a bit of its charm. Unfortunately, the glass floor was off-limits, and the stairs to the upper outdoor level were closed for a private event, both of which were among the main attractions we were looking forward to. The digital photos offered for 35 dollars looked like they were edited on Windows 95, so definitely not worth it. We had a look at the restaurant on Level 101, but the prices were steep, even by NYC standards, so we decided to skip it. On the bright side, the staff were friendly, though nothing beyond standard service. We bought our tickets online through GO City, which worked smoothly and made entry easy.

Loved this whole experience. The elevator whizzes up a 100 floors in seconds. The views were spectacular, there was atmosphere of childlike wonder. People seemed fascinated by the little bit of glass floor where they were having pictures taken, and some were afraid to step on it 😃. There were just the right number of helpful and pleasant attendants, and the bathrooms were convenient. The area around the building is beautiful. There is a park nearby called the High Line, where a freight train used to run in the old days. There is the subway station there now. And there's a paved area with benches out front, where we saw people sitting, eating their snacks or watching others marvel at the beautiful, wiggly circular glass building there. Reminded me of Dubai, with rows of sparkling glass buildings housing posh stores and offices. I like the vibe of the Hudson Yards area.
Tina M — Google review
The Edge is absolutely spectacular — I’ve never been on an observation deck quite like it. It’s so spacious and open, with glass walls all the way around that give you completely unobstructed views of New York. The feeling of being outdoors, with the wind and the height, is really something special. The only downside for me was the loud music and the small stand selling champagne or tequila shots — it took away a bit from the majesty of the view. I understand it’s probably meant to appeal to a younger crowd, but I personally would’ve preferred a quieter atmosphere to take it all in. Still, it’s an amazing experience overall, and absolutely worth visiting for the incredible views alone.
Neil M — Google review
Edge is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, offering breathtaking panoramic views of New York City from the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards. The unique, cantilevered design of the observation deck extends 80 feet out from the skyscraper, giving visitors the thrilling sensation of floating over the city. Its frameless, angled glass walls allow for unobstructed views and the chance to lean out over the urban landscape below. The experience at Edge begins on Level 4 with a multimedia presentation that details the story of Hudson Yards before visitors are whisked up 100 stories in a 52-second elevator ride. Once on the main outdoor sky deck, thrill-seekers can walk over the a glass floor, which provides a dramatic, 1,100-foot view straight down to the street. Beyond the glass floor, the deck features Skyline Seats and an Eastern Point where guests can relax and take in the spectacular scenery, which includes the Empire State Building, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and the Hudson River. For those seeking an even more extreme adventure, the City Climb allows participants to scale the outside of the skyscraper to its apex, an experience not for the faint of heart. More relaxed options include sipping champagne at the indoor/outdoor bar on the 100th floor or dining at the fine-dining restaurant Peak on the 101st floor. Combining innovative design with an incredible vantage point, Edge offers a truly unforgettable perspective on New York City.

The Edge is such an amazing experience—we’ve done it twice already and plan to go again! I recommend choosing a nice windy day and avoiding peak sun hours. Afternoons are the best in my opinion. The indoor seating offers incredible views, and the outdoor stairs are perfect (and shaded). Don’t forget to grab an Edge Bridge magnet for your fridge—it’s a great memory to take home.

It's the fastest elevator I've ever been on. I recommend chewing gum to help your ears while you're on the elevator (in both directions). The views were phenomenal! It was a beautiful, clear day. We went on a weekday, which made our experience pleasant since it wasn't crowded. There was no waiting and the staff was nice. If you want unobstructed views of the city skyline, this is where you should go.
Marcita E — Google review
As we had already been to the Empire State, we thought this would be something similar, but we were wrong. The Edge offer better views of the New York skyline and other points of interest. The day was fairly clear and we had great views towards Liberty Island and Downtown Manhattan ant the Hudson River. Marvellous morning and glad we did go.

Bow Bridge, the oldest cast-iron bridge in Central Park and the second-oldest in the U.S., is a popular romantic spot with its picturesque design. It offers stunning views of colorful leaves in fall, cherry blossoms in spring, and row boats passing by below in summer. Despite being crowded on weekends, it's worth visiting for a romantic stroll or as a meeting place.
Bow Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in Central Park, often featured in movies and TV shows—and for good reason. Its elegant design and romantic setting have made it a popular spot for proposals, engagement shoots, and wedding photos (you’ll even see custom banners and photographers capturing the moment). While its fame may make it feel slightly less special in person to some, it still stands out as a highlight of any walk through the park. Whether framed by cherry blossoms in spring or vibrant foliage in fall, Bow Bridge offers a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline reflected on the water—an ideal spot for photos and a peaceful pause in the city. A must-visit for the romance, the views, and the timeless charm.

It’s also a favorite filming location and has featured in several Bollywood movies, making it a must-visit for fans! Whether you’re taking a scenic walk, capturing a photo, or just relaxing by the water, this place has timeless charm. Expect a bit of a crowd, but it’s totally worth it.

Oh, behold The Bow Bridge—an architectural marvel that bravely spans a dramatic twenty-foot gap over an offensively calm pond. Truly, it exists. With wood planks that mostly don’t wobble and railings that only slightly question your life choices, this stalwart structure performs its sole function: getting you from one side of a path to the other without drowning in two feet of water. Heroic. Inspirational. Absolutely adequate.

Gapstow Bridge is a charming cobblestone bridge located within Central Park, offering a picturesque view of the Manhattan skyline. This ornamental arched bridge provides an iconic backdrop featuring notable New York City buildings such as The Plaza Hotel and modern skyscrapers. Perfect spot for photos 📸, a peaceful walk 🚶‍♀️, or just sitting and soaking up the view 😍. Don't miss it : ) Not just because it's the famous Central Park but, we saw a beautiful "older" couple on a bench only in their early 60s maybe late 50s. She was leaning so contently against his chest he had his arm around her and THEY WERE BOTH SMILING and conversating. Then there was a couple getting engaged, a kissing couple, and 2 wedding parties being photographed. You can't find that much joy all in one place anywhere else I don't think. Maybe the Eiffel Tower? We walked in by the Ritz Carlton, headed towards the Gapstow bridge and all of them were before we even hit the bridge!!! We watched a squirrel dig for an acorn, RIGHT NEXT TO OUR BENCH, and cover the hole with a leaf when he was done and run off to search another spot to feast on his buried acorn! There were 2 men sitting alone across the Pond as soon as we went down the stairs! Separate from each other. : ) That spoke volumes of the peace to be found. Mangos and fruit for sale galore also so bring. cash. Now go! : ) Enjoy yourself and leave your review and pics too so we can see how you experienced the park too!!

Gapstow Bridge is much more than a charming crossing—it’s an architectural gem that blends with the natural landscape and offers stunning seasonal scenery. It’s also a cultural landmark, steeped in cinematic history and beloved for its romantic, nostalgic charm. From the south, you’ll catch the skyline with The Plaza Hotel and West Side towers reflected in the water; northward, Wollman Rink sits lower, framed by trees and rock formations. Featured in Home Alone 2 (Kevin and Pigeon Lady), The Devil Wears Prada, Gossip Girl, Sex and the City, Enchanted, Anger Management and more.

Grand Central Terminal, also known as Grand Central Station, is a historic train station in New York City. Completed in 1913, it boasts a grand facade and a magnificent main concourse adorned with Tennessee-marble floors and Italian-marble ticket counters. The vaulted ceiling of the main concourse features a stunning mural of constellations designed by French painter Paul Cesar Helleu. Despite being primarily a commuter and traveler hub, it is also one of the world's top tourist attractions.
Grand Central Terminal is absolutely breathtaking! From the stunning architecture and the celestial ceiling in the main concourse to the constant energy and movement, it's a true New York City landmark. Whether you're catching a train, grabbing a bite, or just exploring, there's something magical about this place. The mix of history, elegance, and hustle makes it feel like you're in the heart of the city. A must-visit spot, even if you're not traveling!
Ankit B — Google review
Grand Central Terminal is the third busiest train station in North America, behind New York’s Pennsylvania Station and Toronto’s Union Station. The unique architecture and interior design of the Grand Central Station have been designated several landmarks, including a National Historic Landmark. The Beaux-Arts style design is reflected in numerous works of art. In the center of the concourse is the information booth, which features a brass clock on all four sides, one of Grand Central’s most recognizable symbols. As old as the station is, it is a place of enormous construction cost and engineering excellence. Grand Central is one of the busiest train stations in the world, with approximately 750,000 visitors per day. A must-see on any Grand Central tour is the $20 million opaline clock above the information booth. Grand Central Terminal is one of the top 10 most visited tourist attractions in the world, and the main concourse of the terminal is often used as a meeting place, especially in movies and on TV. Grand Central Terminal was designed and built with two main levels for passengers: the upper level for intercity trains and the lower level for commuter trains. Grant Central Terminal was originally named after the New York Central Railroad, which operated from 1900 to 1910. The current new terminal was built from 2007 to 2023. The constellations are embroidered on the ceiling of the constellations, and sometimes you can see cute scenes of children lying on the floor and looking at the constellations embroidered on the ceiling. The doors leading into the terminal from 42nd Street show traces of its long history. Note: Beaux-Arts architecture was an academic architectural style taught at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris from the 1830s to the late 19th century. It was based on the principles of French neoclassicism, incorporating elements of the Renaissance and Baroque styles, and using modern materials such as iron, glass, and later steel. It was an important style and had a huge influence on institutions and public buildings, especially in Europe and the United States, from the late 19th century to the 20th century.

Grand Central Terminal is far more than just a train station – it’s a true New York landmark and a must-see for any visitor to the city. As one of the busiest transport hubs in the world, the constant movement of people adds a sense of energy and urgency that’s uniquely New York. Despite the crowds, the atmosphere is captivating and full of character. What really makes Grand Central stand out is its breathtaking architecture. From the celestial ceiling of the Main Concourse to the grand arched windows and marble staircases, every detail is a testament to American ambition and craftsmanship. It’s a space that reflects the era when the United States was building not just infrastructure, but a global legacy of power and progress. Walking through Grand Central gives you a real sense of history and purpose – it’s both a functional space and a symbol of what America once set out to achieve. A perfect blend of beauty, scale, and purpose. Definitely worth visiting, even if you’re not catching a train.

Iconic landmark with stunning architecture Grand Central Terminal is not just a train station but a New York City icon. The main concourse is breathtaking with its celestial ceiling mural, elegant arches, and constant energy. The Whispering Gallery is a fun hidden gem where you can test the acoustics. As a tourist visiting New York City, Grand Central Station was my favorite building. You could see and feel the history of the building. The best part about being inside the station is thinking about how important it was to building the city and how it currently helps facilitate so much of the business in the city. Also, it is amazing to think about the important people from history who have set foot in the same location! Highly recommend as a stop touring the city!

This has been the station I’ve used for years as my main connection between home and the city. Even though it’s a hub for both locals and tourists, from my perspective as a local, I still find it beautiful—especially from an architectural point of view. It’s full of history, and every time I arrive here, I feel like I’m stepping into a place that matters—somewhere meaningful. There’s always so much going on: people arriving, leaving, tourists, commuters… and I love that. It captures the magic of New York’s diversity. Trains run frequently, and you can easily catch the line that suits your destination. Ticket prices vary, but I recommend downloading the MTA app to check schedules and buy tickets online. You can also get them at the booths—it’s a bit old-school, but it has its charm (I used to do that a lot back when I was in school). What I love most is the art deco style—it reflects the elegance that made early 20th-century New York so iconic. The restrooms are usually clean, there are quick bites available if you’re in a hurry, and the self-service machines are convenient. Overall, it’s an efficient, accessible terminal—and I truly love it.

An Icon of Timeless New York: Grand Central Terminal Grand Central Terminal is a cultural, historical, and architectural masterpiece in addition to being a transportation hub. This famous landmark, which is in the center of Manhattan, has captivated tourists for more than a century with its exquisite Beaux-Arts architecture, minute details, and lively ambiance. The Main Concourse, with its celestial ceiling mural that depicts a starry night sky, greets you as soon as you enter. The terminal is flooded with natural light from the enormous arched windows, and the lavish chandeliers lend a touch of refinement. A timeless gathering place and must-see is the renowned four-faced clock in the middle of the concourse. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Grand Central is a thriving transportation center that effectively serves commuters with buses, subway lines, and Metro-North trains. The terminal is a pleasure to explore because it retains its grandeur and nostalgic feel despite the continuous movement. One of the highlights is the Whispering Gallery, which is close to the Oyster Bar and features an intriguing acoustic trick that lets visitors hear whispers coming from the other side of the arch. In addition, the terminal has a number of upscale stores, bakeries, and eateries, such as the well-known Grand Central Oyster Bar, which has been serving fresh seafood since 1913. Grand Central Terminal never lets you down, whether you're interested in architecture, history, or just want to feel a little bit of New York's charm. It offers a gateway to the city as well as a destination in and of itself, skillfully fusing elegance and functionality. A trip to New York wouldn't be complete without experiencing the enchantment of this iconic site. Strongly advised!

One World Observatory is situated on the 100th, 101st, and 102nd floors of the One World Trade Center, offering breathtaking views of New York City's skyline. Visitors are taken up to the observatory in dedicated elevators called Sky Pods, which provide a video-enhanced journey through time and space showcasing NYC's evolution over the decades. The experience continues with interactive exhibits about the building's construction and cutting-edge technology.
I went in the afternoon after lunch time around 2 pm and just get the ticket from the Kiosk on arrival. I think the online price is better at $39 pp instead of $50 pp on site. I love the video story of the building in the lift and the New York city introduction video before you enter the observatory deck! It was so well made, the reveal was fantastic! Absolutely beautiful city view from the floor 102 and cool presents you can buy from the Gallery shop at One World up on the viewing floor. The pennies coin machine is a great price too, you can get a set of 8 pennies pressed for $5. And there are 2 different set of 16 different designs to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Bathroom available at the gift shop before you come down and also after the lift down before you exit. You can also top up your bottle with cold water before you leave after the lift. Definitely recommend this observatory if you are in New York city!

**beware skirts/dresses. Floors may reflect unwanted exposure** If it's a warm day the observation decks will be hot. We bought the pass that allowed for flexible priority entry. the pass included a spending credit to be used at gift shop or restaurant as well as the observation tablet. They will try to sell you the tablet as an add on at the top. Security and elevators were easy. Nice video in elevator as well as at the top priority to entry. It was an enjoyable experience. We sat and had a drink with our credits to enjoy the view. Beware, it was still $$.

This was a very nice experience, towering over NYC with multiple view in every direction. The elevator is lightning fast and you do not even feel it, one of the fastest in the world we were told. The animated views along with the elevation counter was pretty cool. It was not very busy at all, walked right in. There were 3 floors to observe. I would have liked to have seen more on the very top floor but they kind of usher you out of this floor rather quickly. Overall I think it was a “thing to do” experience and would recommend. A bit on the pricey side for the time you spend there, but still nice to do. If you want to see some really spectacular views, this is for you!

Welcome, to the highest skyscraper of New York. It still feels surreal to me having the opportunity to finally see it with my own eyes. It is massive, it is huge, it is magical in his own. Going up by the elevator where you get a very nice animation of the build of New York, and after 40-ish seconds you reached the top where you can admire the amazing view of New York City. Now, I must say it may not have the charm, or the stellar history like the North and South World Trade Center had in the past, but the One World Trade Center defenitely deserves his mark in New York City. Which also makes it one of the must see things when you are in this town. Small tip; Make sure your make a reservation in advance! Just to be sure.

An amazing experience. so much light and space and the views speak for themselves. This is a calm and serene experience compared to some of the other observation decks. There's a solemnity about this place as well obviously. I bought tickets on the same morning and it was very well run and easy to access.

This is definitely the best Skyscraper to visit in NYC! When you go in the Elevator there is a little animation about the Twin Towers and then building the One World Trade Center. Then, When you get up in the observatory you have the craziest view of all of NYC and the other islands. In Conclusion, this is definitely the best place in NYC to site see

One world observatory is one of the highest point at New York. I would recommend booking tickets in advance. The lift experience was amazing- both going up and down. The views are breathtaking. Maybe going in the evening would be best to get both day and night view if the schedule allows

Remember to ask one of the employees at the payment kiosk for a discount code. The employee near us reminded us to use the family discount for all 6 of us for 25% off. So cool of her to point it out for us. This discount code isn't offered, or at least, not easily found when buying tickets online. Consider buying tickets when you arrive. The best part of the entire experience was the elevator ride up. Put your back against the door and pay attention to the history lesson of the vertical growth of New York of 300 years and the rise of the city in 100 floors of lift. It makes the already fast ride even quicker. There's a similar experience on the way down, but not nearly as cool. On the observation floor, there are a few plaques on the walls, make sure you read each of them for some interesting facts. You ought to plan this into your next trip to NY.

Chelsea Market is a popular indoor marketplace in New York City that has been attracting both locals and tourists for the past 25 years. It offers a wide variety of high-quality grocers, shops, and eateries. Visitors can find everything from fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, and imported ingredients to unique fashion, art, and vintage items. The market also features a diverse selection of eateries serving Indian cuisine, tacos, Mediterranean street food, and pasta.
I went Chelsea Market a few moments ago because I needed to take a quick detour before going to a restaurant reservation. I had a great time there. It was a sight to see and it was quite busy, but I knew that was how markets were so I had no issue with getting into where I needed to. I loved the location of the market because it had availability. The air inviting and warm with cool breeze depending on the day. It was also a lovely area because I could get to find as many places as I needed to find. One of the places that I stopped by in the market was La Devozione to pick up a few pasta packages to cook at home. Another place I stopped by was Li-Lac Chocolates for sweet treats for my family members and myself. I can be honest to say I had an amazing time finding what I wanted in a quick few minutes. I found plenty of options and the two choice of places were to find a items to bring home with me before I went on my way to the reservation at a separate restaurant.

Chelsea Market is lively and full of great food options, but it was extremely crowded during my summer visit. It’s definitely a popular spot, but the large crowds made it hard to fully enjoy the space. Unfortunately, the restrooms were not clean, which took away from the overall experience. For such a well-known attraction, I expected better maintenance. Still, it’s worth stopping by if you’re in the area—just try to go during off-peak hours.

This is one of the most fantastic markets in the United States, the business within Chelsea Market are fantastic! Chelsea Market is an iconic indoor food hall and retail marketplace renowned for its wide range of grocers (fish, produce, etc.), artisanal shops & eateries. It’s in New York City's Meatpacking District. Chelsea Market’s history: It was formerly a Nabisco factory where the Oreo cookie was invented. I like its unique industrial-chic architecture. It’s close to High line, an elevated old train track turned garden walk way. One of my most favorite way to walk through NY without cabs in my way. Just a safe space looking down on NY streets.

If you’re traveling to New York, I definitely recommend adding this place to your list! The place is full of energy, with tons of food stands and cool shops to explore. The seafood was especially good, the oysters were super fresh, and everything looked amazing. It’s a great spot to grab a bite, take photos, and experience a local part of the city.

Great market with plenty of shops to check out and food options. There are restaurants with many different forms of cuisine to choose from with indoor and covered outdoor seating. Shops including clothing stores, gift shops, stalls for local artists, and foods. There are also restrooms on the lower level that are clean and well maintained. While we were here it was decorated for Halloween!

This might be the best market in Manhattan. It has a cultural and historical impact. Also you can see the architecture still remaining from the past. It’s a big place where you can find a diverse kind of business. Food, art, souvenirs and there’s also free restrooms made with some interesting materials.

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is a modern art museum known for its architecturally significant spiral rotunda. It is part of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, which includes museums in New York, Venice, Bilbao, and Abu Dhabi. The foundation focuses on modern and contemporary art through various initiatives and collections.
The Guggenheim Museum is truly a must-visit in New York City. The building itself is a masterpiece — Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic spiral design is just as breathtaking as the art inside. The collection is diverse and impressive, featuring world-renowned modern and contemporary works alongside rotating exhibitions that always surprise and inspire. Walking through the galleries feels like a journey, with the circular layout offering a unique way to experience the art. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is knowledgeable, and the museum store has a great selection of books and gifts. Perfect for art lovers and anyone looking to be inspired by one of the most beautiful spaces in the city.

The Guggenheim is as much a work of art as the pieces it holds. Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic spiral design is breathtaking — walking up the circular ramp feels like being part of a moving art installation. Every level offers a new perspective, and the natural light gives the museum an airy, inspiring atmosphere. The exhibits are beautifully curated, mixing modern and contemporary art in a way that feels thoughtful and accessible. Even if you’re not an art expert, there’s something mesmerizing about the experience — from the architecture to the energy of the space. The staff are friendly and organized, and the museum store has unique gifts and art books worth browsing. It’s also perfectly located near Central Park, making it a great stop on a day out in the city. If you love art, design, or simply beautiful spaces, the Guggenheim is a must-see.

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum collects, preserves, and interprets modern and contemporary art. Not only that, but it also explores ideas across cultures through dynamic curatorial and educational initiatives and collaborations. Here, you can see impressionist, post-impressionist, and modern French masterpieces such as Degas, Manet, Van Gogh, and many more! Not just the artworks, but the architecture of the museum is mathematically perfect for all museum guests. A simple spiral with various short stops along the way that doesn't disturb the initial walkway is perfect for those like me who wants to see everything without having to circle back around. Basically, you can just walk through the whole museum without doubling back once! A note for all people reading this: make sure you check online for the exhibitions on display. Unlike the AMNY or The Met, this one is similar to The Whitney museum where the exhibitions are changed every few months. If there is an exhibition that you are interested in, you should check it out before they close it and swap it to something else!

They offer a pay as you wish option AND they also offer a free day. I went on a Wednesday in July. It was absolutely stunning! I waited a little until the staff asked the people who had tickets to move to the front. After that, it was pretty quick. I was able to take my drink inside with me. It was so beautiful, and the staff suggested certain popular poses which helped my IG account, lol. I was in love with the atmosphere. they also have tiny restrooms almost on every floor, but you have to pay attention or you'll miss it. I went on a solo date, and I had so much fun. I will be returning with my children. The cafeteria food was also good, I can't complain.

Architect Frank Lloyd Wright loves curves and odd angles, even the bathrooms are half circles. The exhibit was great and not too crowded even for a weekend. I recommend connecting to the free wifi so you can listen to the audio files pertaining to the artists exhibit which meant there was less need for me to read entrusted l everything. Also, I recommend taking the elevator to the top floor and coming down from there so you don't have to walk up and around the seemingly neverending circular ramp. Most of the exhibit was one artist, but there were some side rooms that held works from many long known artists including Picasso and van Gogh.

The Guggenheim Museum in New York City is a masterpiece of art and architecture that feels like stepping into a living sculpture. Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic spiral design turns the simple act of walking through exhibits into an immersive, almost meditative experience—each curve revealing new perspectives on modern and contemporary art. Though the collection isn’t vast, it’s beautifully curated, showcasing works by Kandinsky, Picasso, and other visionaries in a space that feels airy, alive, and deeply intentional. It’s a museum where the building itself is part of the art, and where light, motion, and creativity intertwine in unforgettable harmony. We especially enjoyed the plant exhibits there when we visited (Nov 2025).

I had a couple of hours to spare on Sunday before my flight and decided to stop by the Guggenheim — and I’m so glad I did. The building’s iconic design is even more impressive from the inside, offering a unique viewing experience as you move along the spiral ramp. The museum features a great mix of modern art and classic masterpieces, all beautifully curated and easy to follow. Despite its size, it never felt overcrowded, which made the visit even more enjoyable. A must-see for any art lover (aside from all the other places)!

Located in the heart of Manhattan, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is a new addition to the city's skyline and has quickly become a top tourist attraction. The 73rd-floor observation deck offers more than just stunning views, with its immersive artistic experience spread across three sections: Air, Transcendence, and Affinity. Standing at an impressive height of 1,301 feet, it provides unparalleled 360-degree views over all five boroughs and even beyond on clear days.
Absolutely spectacular. We recommend visiting in the evening to see the city lights. We were planning to visit the Empire State building, but this building included the Empire State Building in our view. The experience was awesome. From the moment we walked into the elevator, through the entrance walkway, onto to the first observation floor 91. Calming audio was playing, very celestial. And the view of downtown was the first site to see. From our vantage point, we were able to see the Empire State building, Crysler building, all the way down to the world trade. We are also able to see 30 Roc, the darkness of Central Park, and the glow of lights coming from the neighborhood of times Square. You could easily see Brooklyn and essentially the entire city of New York from that advantage point. One of the rooms had this bonkers set up silver balls, floating in the ceiling and on the ground, it was pretty cool to see. The experience allowed us to go on floor 91, 92, 93 with an open aor experience at the 93 floor. I would recommend this experience to anybody visiting New York. World class views as far as I can see.

Luckily this was recommended to us and it was one of the best value for money experiences of all the touristy options. We went in the morning and there was a queue, but it moves quickly. The views and photo opportunities are great and you don’t feel like there is any rush to get through the different rooms. Kids LOVED the silver balloon room and it was good for them to have a fun part amongst all the views. We also did Top of the rock and that felt more historical and romanticised, so would still do the two, but I think the kids preferred Summit One and it did feel friendlier and more of an experience. It’s also right next door to Grand Central and the contrast of super modern and super beautiful old was stunning.

Took my mom here for her birthday last weekend. She loves exploring different things in the city and this was on her bucket list. We had a wonderful time. It was a cloudy rainy day when we got there amd the visibility sucked. Luckily about 10 mins later around 1:45 p.m, the fog started to lift and we were able to get some fantastic views. We spent about 2 hrs here and enjoyed every bit of it.

We had an amazing time at the summit. When booking the tickets online they let you know the best times to visit to get the best views of the city. I booked a perfect slot and got to see the city views in both daylight and in nighttime which made the whole experience even better. The staff was sweet and friendly. There was one person in particular, Dae B who was sweet and knowledge about the place and the city and guided us well. Take your time in exploring the place and I would suggest booking a timeslot that let's your enjoy both day and night views and capture some amazing pictures.

I’ve visited a few attractions like this including the Empire, Willis & a few overseas. While still pricey I felt it rendered more value as it wasn’t just a view. Here they splash in other activities to shake things up ranging from below views to mesmerizing illusions. My 9 year old son had a blast as well as my friend. The UX happens over 3 floors (+ 4th if you pay more). Similar to an amusement park photo opportunities are copious and somewhat forced). A lot of people were inside yet it never felt uncomfortable because the way it’s set up. You will not feel like you’re stuck in a traffic jam. Explore some of my pics to get a sense. I think this is something you should just try out because words can only do so much. I’d like to point out that they offer a generous military discount. I think this is great.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but I couldn’t skip this one. Our family had such a wonderful time at the Summit in New York! From the very beginning, the team was attentive and welcoming. A special shout-out to Jason, who went out of his way to answer all our questions and explain the attraction in detail he really made the experience extra special. Everything was so well taken care of even the restrooms were spotless. The checkout process for the photo albums was fast and seamless, which we really appreciated. At the end of the tour there’s even beer, food, and ice cream for the kids, which was the perfect way to wrap things up. Another special mention to Sam, who was working at the photo stand she was so attentive, friendly, and helpful. If you’re visiting New York, this is truly a must-do experience with or without kids. My child will never forget it, and we’ll always remember how special the day was. Jason, Sam, and the whole team made us feel cared for from start to finish. Definitely recommend it’s a blast and one of the best places we visited in New York during our trip!

The Chrysler Building, a stunning example of art deco architecture, was completed in 1930 and once held the title of the world's tallest building. Its iconic spire and design make it one of the most recognizable buildings in New York City. While it doesn't have an observation deck, visitors can still admire its beauty from outside or from nearby observation decks like the Empire State Building's. It's recommended to purchase tickets in advance to avoid long wait times.
The Chrysler Building's ground floor reception is an absolute hidden gem. Stepping inside for the first time, we were immediately struck by the Art Deco masterpiece's exquisite interior. The polished, inlaid walls and the stunning ceiling mural create an atmosphere of timeless elegance. The craftsmanship is breathtaking, a testament to the building's iconic design. It's a serene and beautiful space, a stark contrast to the bustling New York streets outside. A truly remarkable architectural experience that left us utterly impressed.

🤔😮 Amazing historic New York City skyscraper! 🌃 Tight security for a public business-conducting place, but understandable, post 9/11... Great views of the surrounding city!
Jim M — Google review
The Chrysler Building, towering over Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, is more than just an Art Deco masterpiece—it’s a symbol of New York’s relentless ambition. Completed in 1930, it briefly held the title of the world’s tallest building, a crown it snatched in a dramatic architectural race by secretly assembling and hoisting its iconic spire within the building’s frame. That gleaming stainless steel needle wasn’t just a design flourish—it was a strategic move to outpace 40 Wall Street and claim skyline supremacy. Designed by William Van Alen and commissioned by Walter Chrysler, the building was never intended to serve as the Chrysler Corporation’s headquarters. Instead, it was a personal investment, a legacy project for Chrysler’s children. Its façade is adorned with hubcap-inspired motifs and eagle gargoyles modeled after hood ornaments, blending automotive bravado with architectural elegance. These details aren’t just decorative—they’re declarations of industrial pride, etched into the very skin of the city. The lobby, a lesser-known gem, features Moroccan marble, custom-designed elevator doors, and a ceiling mural titled “Transport and Human Endeavor,” painted by Edward Trumbull. It’s a visual symphony of aviation, industry, and progress—an ode to the roaring twenties and the city’s vertical dreams. The building’s 77 floors are served by 32 elevators, each a capsule of Deco design, moving through a structure that remains the tallest brick building in the world with a steel skeleton. What most New Yorkers don’t know is that the spire was built in secret to outmaneuver competitors. It was assembled inside the tower and raised in a single day, shocking the city and rewriting the skyline. The building’s annex, added in 1952, is rarely mentioned but reflects the postwar expansion of Midtown’s commercial core. Today, the Chrysler Building stands not just as a relic but as a living testament to Manhattan’s architectural swagger. It doesn’t scream for attention—it gleams. In a city obsessed with reinvention, the Chrysler remains defiantly timeless, its curves and chrome whispering stories of a bygone era when buildings were bold, and ambition was etched in steel. It’s not just a building—it’s a vertical poem written in the language of New York.

Reynolds, the building was commissioned by Walter Chrysler, the head of the Chrysler Corporation. The construction of the Chrysler Building, an early skyscraper, was characterized by a competition with 40 Wall Street and the Empire State Building to become the world's tallest building. The Chrysler Building was designed and funded by Walter Chrysler personally as a real estate investment for his children, but it was not intended as the Chrysler Corporation's headquarters (which was located in Detroit at the Highland Park Chrysler Plant from 1934 to 1996). An annex was completed in 1952, and the building was sold by the Chrysler family the next year, with numerous subsequent owners. When the Chrysler Building opened, there were mixed reviews of the building's design, some calling it inane and unoriginal, others hailing it as modernist and iconic. Reviewers in the late 20th and early 21st centuries regarded the building as a paragon of the Art Deco architectural style. In 2007, it was ranked ninth on the American Institute of Architects' list of America's Favorite Architecture. The facade and interior became New York City designated landmarks in 1978, and the structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark in 1976.

This place is off-limits to tourists. I consider it a neglected part of New York's history. According to my ranking of NYC's TOP BUILDINGS, this building is second (#1 Rockefeller, #3 Empire). As I mentioned, the building is not open to the public, but I had the opportunity, courtesy of the staff, to take a few photos to commemorate this great work of architecture.

Park
Nature & Parks
Prospect Park, Brooklyn's answer to Central Park, was designed by the same architects and boasts similar attractions. The park features lakes, boathouses, zoos, and a picturesque trail called the Ravine with its own waterfalls. Inspired by the Adirondack Mountain range in Upstate New York, this area of the park offers a serene escape within the city. Visitors can explore a 3.
Prospect Park is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City, nestled right in the center of Brooklyn. Often overshadowed by its more famous counterpart, Central Park, Prospect Park offers a similarly stunning natural retreat—but with a fraction of the crowds. That’s what makes it so special. The park is immaculately clean, filled with expansive green spaces, shaded areas that offer a break from the summer heat, and beautifully maintained walking paths. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful solo walk, a family picnic, or a fun day with children, this park has something for everyone. There are several playgrounds scattered throughout the park, making it an ideal destination for families with young kids. One of the highlights is the Prospect Park Zoo, a charming, small zoo with a surprisingly wide variety of animals. Tickets are reasonably priced—around $11 for adults—and the experience is well worth it. Another favorite among children is the carousel, which brings old-school joy and nostalgia. A ride costs only $3, and the smiles on the children’s faces are priceless. What truly sets Prospect Park apart is its peaceful atmosphere. You won’t find the overwhelming crowds or endless streams of tourists here. Instead, you’ll find space to breathe, relax, and enjoy nature at your own pace. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, I highly recommend setting aside a few hours to explore this Brooklyn treasure. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and maybe even a little more in love with New York City.

Came to see the movies in the Park, Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Weather was amazing! They give you these like lawn chairs but it’s on the ground, you can keep them, easy to carry. Free popcorn, seltzer water and T-Shirts. Very nice for the kids to run around while getting some fresh air. Sound was good to the speaker tower placement and no bad seats. Movie stared around 7:40, waiting for the sun to go down. Everyone was peaceful and cleaned up behind themselves after the movie was over. Did I mention, it was free? Can’t go wrong. Movie ended about 9:45 and walking back through the park, good lighting. No worries but again, I wasn’t alone. Good evening.

Absolutely love prospect park! It’s so beautiful and large. It has many pleasant areas to sit and watch people and animals. It’s super peaceful and serene. Wonderful bike and hiking trails. A must for natives and tourists alike:)

This park is very spacious, clean and perfect for walks or other family and friends activities or just looking to detach yourself from the busyness of city life. Its proximity to the train station and nearby cafes and restaurants make it attractive too. So if you’re visiting Brooklyn or looking for another alternative park other than Central Park, this is the place to be.

Very nice escape located centrally in Brooklyn. Walking through it you can experience peaceful rural areas, or see Brooklyn’s diversity in the more crooked areas. It’s a bit dirty in spots, and difficult to keep up with cleaning due to the amount of people that visit the park. Great for a run, bike ride, or simply to relax at. The restrooms are very limited, and only the one on the large building is somewhat passable. The other one on the west side near the playground is less cared for, as is the other two in the center and East side.
Rollinover — Google review
A great place to enjoy nature and the outdoors, with expansive, beautifully landscaped green spaces and paths ideal for walking or cycling. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, making it an enjoyable experience for all ages.
Ammar H — Google review
I visited a couple of weeks ago, right as fall color peaked. I grabbed a coffee and wandered the winding paths in Brooklyn: leaves crunching under my shoes, trees shifting from gold to deep red, and that crisp, clean air. There’s room for everyone—you can stroll by the water, sit on a bench, and watch the foliage reflect on the surface. What I liked most is how the city noise fades into the background, leaving just the wind and a few quiet conversations. There are big open lawns for relaxing and tucked-away corners if you want solitude. I spent a few hours there and left clear-headed—a perfect spot to soak up autumn.

Really beautiful park but the area around on the Q train side (prospect park/Parkside stops) can be a bit rough and homophobic Cute cafe open at the boathouse by purslane but they do often have private events so it can be hit or miss. Other new cafe is open at the lefrak center

One World Trade Center, also known as The Freedom Tower, is a remarkable symbol of resilience and strength. Standing at 1,776 feet tall with its spire, it is the tallest building in the United States and the sixth tallest in the world. This iconic 94-floor skyscraper took eight years to build and was completed in 2014. Its unique design and full-glass facade make it stand out against the New York City skyline.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One World Observatory – A Must-See Experience Visiting the One World Observatory was an unforgettable experience. From the moment you enter the building, everything feels incredibly well-organized and modern. The elevator ride alone is breathtaking — watching the time-lapse of New York City’s development on the walls as you rise 100+ floors in seconds is mesmerizing. Once at the top, the views are absolutely stunning. You can see the entire city — from the Statue of Liberty to Central Park — and even beyond on a clear day. The observatory design gives you a full 360° view, and the glass panels make it feel like you’re floating above the skyline. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and help with photos. The exhibits and interactive displays added depth to the experience, giving a real sense of New York’s resilience and history. There’s also a café and bar at the top where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the scenery — a nice touch if you want to take it all in a bit longer. Overall: One World Observatory isn’t just a tourist attraction; it’s a powerful reminder of how far New York has come. Beautiful, emotional, and awe-inspiring — a must-see for anyone visiting the city.

🏙️ My Visit to One World Trade Center, New York City Visiting One World Trade Center, also known as the Freedom Tower, was an unforgettable experience. Standing at the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of New York City, the Hudson River, and beyond from the One World Observatory. The journey to the top is impressive — high-speed elevators transport you to the observation deck in under a minute, accompanied by a time-lapse video showing the evolution of Manhattan over the centuries. From the observatory, the city unfolds in a stunning 360-degree panorama, providing incredible photo opportunities and a unique perspective of the skyline. The building itself is a symbol of resilience and renewal, representing the strength and spirit of New York City after the tragic events of 9/11. Nearby, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum adds a powerful historical and emotional context to the visit. 📍 Tips for Visitors: • Purchase tickets online in advance to skip the line. • Sunset is the best time for spectacular views of the city lights. • Allocate at least 2–3 hours to explore the observatory and surrounding area. • Follow security protocols; large bags are not allowed inside. Overall, One World Trade Center is a must-visit landmark — offering stunning views, historical significance, and a profound sense of resilience. 🗽✨

Visiting One World Trade Center is both emotional and awe-inspiring. The observatory gives one of the best panoramic views of New York—clear, bright, and stretching for miles. From the high-speed elevator to the immersive introductory display, everything feels modern and well thought out. Steak house
American restaurant
Restaurant
Delmonico's, a legendary establishment that first opened its doors in 1837, is often celebrated as the pioneer of fine dining in the United States. Originally starting as a modest pastry and coffee shop, it has evolved into an iconic steakhouse located in New York City's Financial District. Here, guests can indulge in prime cuts of beef alongside signature dishes that have become part of culinary history. Among these are the famous Eggs Benedict, created by Mrs.
7.6/10 The yellowtail crudo and crab cake actually had a flavor that reminded me a lot of Chinese food. The crab cake, in particular, was pretty unique: coated with shredded potato and deep-fried for a crispy texture. The sauce seemed to have pistachio in it, adding this nice nutty aroma. The steak was fairly standard but generous in portion. For dessert, we tried their signature baked Alaska, which had a sharp tang in the sour parts and was overly sweet in the sweet parts, plus the banana in it wasn’t to my taste. We also had the chocolate cake with ice cream, which had a rich dark chocolate coating and layered beautifully. But it became cloyingly sweet toward the end. The service was friendly, and the place is huge. You can totally feel the charm of a restaurant that’s been around for 200 years.
Ruit L — Google review
At first, the atmosphere was nice and well decorated. Food was really impressive. For appetizers, we ordered Yellowtail tartare, Kumamoto oysters, Caesar salad, Caramelized bacon and Eggs benedict. I couldn’t find any words to describe how great the food was. My brother said this was the best eggs benedict he’s ever had. For me I was impressed by Caesar salad, it was really good. For entrees, my family had Campanelle and Marinated black cod. I ordered Delmonico eye with grilled asparagus and hash browns on the side. This place is a steak house, so I don’t have to describe how good their steak was it was amazing I really enjoyed having my dinner here. Desserts we ordered Chocolate symphony and Delmonico’s original baked Alaska. The presentation was as amazing as its taste. For the service, the server was really nice and helpful with our food and drink decision. After we finished our food, we were expecting host to be more greeted or just say thank you, but we were a little bit surprised that no one said thank you, have a good night like other restaurants. But overall was great.
Chotiros S — Google review
Yesterday I had dinner at Delmonico and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant has an elegant, timeless atmosphere and a fascinating history as one of New York’s oldest and most iconic steakhouses, dating back to the 1800s. We started with Kumamoto oysters topped with Osetra caviar, a luxurious and delicate beginning. The Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful, followed by the famous signature Delmonico ribeye, cooked to perfection and served with rich, savory mushrooms. For dessert, we enjoyed their classic cheesecake, which was smooth and delicious. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, the staff surprised us with an extra slice of cake, a thoughtful gesture that made the evening even more special. The service was warm and attentive throughout. If I had to mention one small detail, the bread and butter served before the meal were a bit dry and hard, but everything that followed more than made up for it. Overall, it was a beautiful dining experience filled with history, flavor, and genuine hospitality.

Amazing experience, nice and service minded staff. Wine was amazong and the wine list is outstanding. But the main star is the meat, hard to describe with words. Melting in your mouth with an amazing sear. It's fairly loud but manageable. Would be nice to have more options for sauces, but it almost feels wrong to use a sauce when the steak by itself is so good
William T — Google review
My husband and I had a nice birthday dinner here. Ambiance takes center stage at this iconic NYC steakhouse. Ceasar salad was good, nothing fancy. Bread basket is great. We got the Delmonico's steak and the NY strip steak and preferred the latter a tiny bit more. Do not sleep on the mashed potatoes side, they're some of the best we've had. Chocoalte dessert was good, and they surprised us with a small vanilla gelato birthday gift. Food was great, ambiance is stunning, service is top notch. Would come back for a special occasion anytime.
Bianca R — Google review
Reporting that the sourdough bread here is some of the best I've ever had. The baker must be praised. Wish he had his own bakery so I can purchase more of the bread. We tried the classic Delmonico ribeye. It was pretty decent. Big fan of the pommes puree and bread. dining setting was really nice 10/10- quiet, refined, but also relaxed. Great for special occasions. The baked Alaska gets lit up on fire.
Anna C — Google review
Perfect elegant location for lovely dinner conversation and sublime food. The entire staff from door to meal service is exceptional. The appetizers were delicious, steak served perfectly, and dessert ended a five star dinner. If looking for a unique dining experience, here is a premier NYC spot.
Mara N — Google review
While the restaurant was stunning and the food was delicious, I was left with a sour taste in my mouth around the end of my dining experience. Our waiter Angela gave my group several condescending looks throughout our dining experience and around dessert time started treating me and my friends with hostility, ruining our entire experience. However, to add salt to injury, when I paid for my check, Angela came back with an adjusted check, adding a $70 gratuity surcharge fee for no apparent reason. After being treated like peasants there was no reason for Angela to expect a tip at all, let alone the abysmal fee she decided to add on herself.

Italian restaurant
Pietro Nolita is a trendy Italian restaurant located in Nolita, New York. The restaurant is famous for its all-pink decor, which has made it a popular spot on social media. From the vibrant pink exterior to the stylish interior, Pietro Nolita offers plenty of picture-perfect moments for your Instagram feed. Whether you're enjoying a meal or snapping photos against the cheerful backdrop, this charming eatery adds a playful and whimsical touch to your visit.
I visited Pietro Nolita last week with a group by recommendation of one of my girl friends, and it was incredible! Pietro and the staff are so kind and accommodating (we ended up being a bigger group than expected), unbelievably quick with our food, and the RAVIOLI! Good lord, you need to get the ravioli. I also appreciated that they have mocktails on the menu as I'm not a big drinker but love having a fancy little drink with my dinner. All in all I highly recommend it and will definitely be back next time I'm in NYC! Grazie!
Amanda L — Google review
The ambiance is okay and the decor is nice but that really is all I can say about this place. As soon as we walked in we weren’t greeted but instead just told very rushed there were no tables available anywhere and that everything was reserved they told us to go sit outside. Once I told them we had a reservation they sat us down but no apology, no greeting no introduction no water just the menu dropped off at our table. We had 2 drinks 2 appetizers and 2 pastas. The focaccia is great and the meatballs were good. The pasta tasted doughy and bland. Our server never checked on us once and we had to ask twice for water while other tables were being refilled and tended to. Once it came time for the check out servers tone changed and started asking if we enjoyed the food and if we were celebrating anything (we were celebrating my birthday) then proceeded to say happy birthday and act how we excepted he would treat us from the beginning of the night. My friend and I thought it was weird that we was being friendly now but definitely knew it was because with the check comes the tip. Needless to say we will not be back, we were disappointed and dissatisfied overall, we had high hopes and were really excited for this place. :(

Adiblossom — Google review
We came here for my birthday based on the menu of pink dishes and pink decor advertised on Instagram. Imagine my surprise when this place looked nothing like photos from Instagram. Apparently the owner renovated the restaurant without updating their Instagram account with the new photos of the establishment at the moment. As I came here specifically wanting pink pasta and pink dessert which was no longer available to my shock. In spite of this, the original server made no amends although he knew the reason why we came here. There is no working number to verify anything just an email address which I did email to confirm the menu and was told it was accurate. I stepped into a magenta color scheme which I found very dark unlike the lighter pink palette. Now let's discuss portions which were pitifully small to say the least. No bread nor salad is offered just a scoop of pasta barely seasoned with zero garnish whatsoever. We felt as though we had to settle as to what to order instead of what I had my heart set on ordering. We were a party of two and for $69 for just a bowl a pasta each nothing else I thought this was ridiculously expensive for the portion size I have never been to an Italian restaurant with such little food. Mind you we took an Uber from brooklyn here, the weather was horrible so it was hard just to leave after spending money to come here. The server Ethan was a sweetheart however in all consciousness, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone especially when clients are coming here specifically for pink dishes and decor. The owner should have immediately updated their Instagram page instead of using an outdated menu and old pictures to lure unsuspecting customers here. It is all about the $$$$ not the guests experience. Oh and the hours are not accurate either as we were here Saturday and they close at 11pm not 2am. I understand not everyone is coming here for the reason I came for, but if you are at least you now know what ro expect.

Tudor City Bridge, located near the Midtown Tunnel in NYC, is a popular spot for Instagram-worthy photos, especially during sunset. The bridge offers stunning views of iconic landmarks like the Chrysler Building and the East River. It's also a great place to capture unique shots when the sun aligns perfectly between skyscrapers. Whether you visit in the morning or evening, you're bound to be captivated by the breathtaking scenery.
Very beautiful spot to see the sunrise with a nice river view. Highly recommended especially early in the morning when it's not crowded!

I stumbled upon this little hidden gem while walking around Midtown and honestly — it’s one of the coolest, most underrated spots in New York. The bridge itself feels like a quiet escape from all the madness of 42nd Street below. The view down the street, with skyscrapers perfectly lining up and cars looking like tiny toys, is just awesome. I can see why photographers love this place, especially during Manhattanhenge. Even on an ordinary evening, the way the sunset hits the buildings makes the whole scene glow. It’s peaceful, historic, and super photogenic. If you ever need a break from the usual crowded tourist spots or just want a great view of Midtown, this is 100% worth a visit. Definitely coming back for Manhattanhenge!

Subway station
City Hall Station in New York City is a historical gem, being the city's first subway station that opened in 1904. Despite its unassuming name, it boasts impressive architectural features such as glass tiles, grand chandeliers, and vaulted ceilings. Although it was the least used due to certain design limitations, it remains a fascinating site for visitors. The station is well-maintained and offers an interesting glimpse into the city's transportation history.
Beautiful station. I was shocked when many people say this station is from different movies. Even the bathrooms were beautiful (but a bit dirty 😅). A short 16 minute ride from the City Hall with relatively frequent departures. There are a lot of people inside the station.
Doi R — Google review
It is a fairly clean train station. I guess it needs to be. What if the mayor decides to take the train to work? If you go in on the wrong side you can walk around the black iron fence rods to the otherside. I wish I knew this the first time I went to the wrong side and then had to double back through the stalls and swipe again losing my train fair. There are many times the W train will not come when it says it is supposed to come in the north bound side (Queens direction). Do not confuse this station with the City Hall station on the 6 train. Although that station is closed, you can still see it by continuing on the 6 train past the last stop.

If you stay on the 6 train when everyone is getting off, you can see the amazing hidden gem that the old city hall station is. However, it is illegal to get off the train to city hall. At least you can get a glimpse of the old City Hall station with all its amazing architecture. As a New Yorker, this is a must-see if you want adventure here in NYC.

For all you film buffs out there, the screeching winged ghost that flys out of a subway entrance in the 1984 classic GHOSTBUSTERS... yup, that staircase actually leads to the City Hall Subway Station on the N/R line. The lower level was said to contain an entrance leading directly to the lobby of the Woolworth Building right above the station! Those who wonder why the Northbound tracks make a funny turn into the Station will be interested to know that this was due to an abandoned plan for adding an express track. It would have been similar to the design of the platforms at the Whitehall Street Station just 3 stops south of here!

Specialty Museums
The Morgan Library & Museum, formerly known as The Pierpont Morgan Library, is a celebrated museum and library located near the Empire State Building in New York. It boasts a remarkable collection of over 350,000 items including drawings, books, manuscripts, Egyptian art, Renaissance paintings, Chinese porcelains and old drawings and prints. The museum also features exhibitions such as "Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature" which showcases her picture letters alongside artworks and manuscripts from leading UK institutions.
The Morgan Library & Museum is without a doubt one of the most wonderful cultural treasures in New York. From the moment you step inside, you are transported into another world. The interiors are breathtaking — dark wood paneling, rich tapestries, vaulted ceilings, and the kind of craftsmanship you rarely see today. It feels almost like entering a European palace, yet with the unique character of New York’s history. What impressed us most were the collections of rare manuscripts and old books. You don’t just see them in glass cases — you can sense the weight of history all around you. Illuminated medieval manuscripts, letters by famous authors, early printed books, and priceless works of art are all preserved here with incredible care. For anyone with a love of literature, history, or simply beautiful objects, it’s absolutely fascinating. Beyond the collections, the museum has a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. Despite being in the middle of Manhattan, it feels calm and contemplative — the perfect place to slow down, look closely, and let yourself be inspired. The staff is welcoming and helpful, and the overall experience is both enriching and unforgettable. In short: visiting the Morgan Library isn’t just about seeing a museum, it’s about stepping into a different time and feeling connected to centuries of human creativity and knowledge. A true highlight in New York that we would recommend to anyone.

A great museum where history, art, and literature come together in a unique way. They have a lot of rare manuscripts, priceless books, and masterpieces of art in the collection. A great place to walk around and enjoy both the collection and thoughtful exhibitions. The space is relatively small compared to other museums, and it can feel crowded at peak hours.
Bo — Google review
We visited the Morgan Library & Museum during its free admission period at 4 PM, which was a great way to experience the space without the cost. The building itself is beautiful, and the historic rooms are definitely worth seeing. That said, we wouldn’t recommend planning to stay in just the library part for more than about 30 minutes. The library portion is quite small—only four rooms—so you can see everything fairly quickly. 09/12/25 A cultural gift donated to New York City in 1924 by the son of J.P. Morgan—one of the Gilded Age's richest robber barons and someone I find fascinating to research. Designed by the esteemed architectural firm, McKim, Mead, and White, and built between 1902 - 1906, Morgan's "library" was separate from his family home and essentially acted as a depository for his amassed treasures. The actual library is incredible to experience in-person. The walls are thirty feet tall with three tiers of bookcases, overlooking balconies, a surviving tapestry from 1500s Brussels, and a collection of rare books that is simply jaw-dropping. Being inside the library is like being inside a dragon's den and you've just come upon its cache of gold and jewels. The museum does a great job in caring for these priceless artifacts. One of the visiting exhibits seen while at the Morgan Library was, A Lively Mind: Jane Austen at 250. While I'm personally not a fan of her books, the artifacts on display were really cool—letters, manuscripts, unauthorized translations—and the installation (while deserving of a bit more space in order to accommodate so many enthusiastic fans) was engaging and memorable.

In today's money, it is speculated that J.P. Morgan was worth around 60 billion dollars. The marble walls were very impressive. The building style is an Italian Renaissance-style palazzo. I was able to leave my traveling bag at entrance which was very convenient and allowed me to enjoy the museum better. I will definitely return and visit again.

What a treasure! Definitely a smaller museum, so it's great if you are in the area and have 1-2 hours to kill. The most impressive of all are the Morgan study and library. The space itself is very modern and beautiful. They also have a cafe that seemed very popular.

Go there for the books, relics and Morgan's library. Amazing. Art is lacking and comes off pervish and not worth much time. I think the main house should have been preserved more along with showing it more. Free tickets to veterans

One of the best museums we have been to for books, and the special exhibitions. Been here 4-5 times as the exhibitions change while also enjoying the beautiful evening live music, cafe and the garden! Recently we were here to see Jane Austin exhibition which was spectacular. Highly recommend to make a visit. Close to grand central midtown. Tip- free Friday’s after 5.
