Middle Eastern restaurant
Falafel restaurant
Halal restaurant
Le Kebab Grill is a casual counter-serve restaurant located in the University area of Charlotte. The owner and chef, Nabil Alnatsheh, brings his experience as a private chef for the American ambassador in Jordan to offer a menu featuring Middle Eastern wraps, sandwiches, kebabs, and gyros made with halal meat. What sets them apart is their chef's specialties menu with unique dishes not commonly found in Charlotte.
Absolutely amazing experience at Le Kebab Grill! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The kebabs were cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The rice was fluffy and delicious, and the sauces were next-level! The spicy sauce had just the right kick, and the garlic sauce was so creamy and addictive that I couldn’t get enough. Big thanks to Antonio for the outstanding service—he made the whole visit even better. This is definitely one of the best spots I’ve been to, and I’ll be coming back again and again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful food with a great atmosphere!

Just Wow. Moved here from west coast and this is my first Mediterranean meal in charlotte area and I’m super impressed with the quality and quantity of food. Truly delicious food. Will definitely be back to try more.
Manasa P — Google review
I had such a great experience here! The food is absolutely delicious with the most authentic Mediterranean taste. Food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. The restaurant is clean, and what really stood out to me was the hospitality. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, which made the whole visit even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for true Mediterranean food and a warm atmosphere

What appears to look like a chain is an eatery that’s pleasantly deceiving. Located near very accessible free parking; a popular local spot with a variety of seating options from couple to 6+ party sizes that also include variations from booth with pillow seating, outdoor patio seating, and nooks in the back with a gas fire ambiance. Depending on the time, table servers can delay order taking/food delivery/closing tab, but! They are very polite and you can see they are doing several things at once. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. If you’re more of a moist/juicy meat entree customer then the chicken shawarma is not recommended. The knafeh dessert is so good! Overall this restaurant is highly recommended because the portions are huge and the bill for what you are getting is very reasonable!
Chandrani R — Google review
The food here is amazing! Big serving, you get your money’s worth. They serve it fresh. Manager is accommodating and everyone is prompt. Will definitely come back.

This is the best place I've eaten at in Charlotte. I was in Charlotte today with a friend, and we chose Le Kabob for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. The servings were very large. The wait staff was kind and courteous. The atmosphere was clean and inviting and we could hear each other talk. We will absolutely return to this place again!

I had a great experience at Le Kebab Grill. The food is absolutely amazing, and the service is excellent, everyone was so welcoming. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s totally worth it. I’m already looking forward to going back.

Japanese restaurant
Yoshi's Grill is a delightful Japanese restaurant that stands out in the Huntersville and north Mecklenburg area, particularly for its exceptional sushi offerings. This casual eatery features a welcoming outdoor space, making it perfect for enjoying a meal al fresco. With an extensive menu that includes various sushi rolls alongside classic Japanese dishes, Yoshi's Grill caters to diverse tastes and preferences. Diners appreciate the generous portion sizes and consistently delicious food, which keeps them coming back time after time.
I’ve been coming to Yoshi’s for 12+ years and I’m addicted would not trade this place for anything another Japanese restaurant. I am a loyal regular customer.

Great service, quick and tasty lunch, affordable prices! Would recommend!

Great service and delicious food. We keep coming back. I enjoy the Gyosa and the hurricane roll. The salmon is always fresh!
E A — Google review
What did I just eat 🤮 (8/20/25) In all seriousness, when I got in the restaurant I noticed the nice big menu and decent atmosphere and I was excited! I go up to the counter and I’m treated with pretty rude service right from the start. We ordered Sushi and the Beef yakisoba. It took around 15 minutes for the sushi to come out and it was mid at best. The salmon was chewy but the spicy mayo had a really good taste. It took an additional ~20 minutes for the mains to come out and when the plates came they were pretty rudely served as the guy just set the plates down with a frown and didn’t even say a word. About the food, i’m going to say this honestly… I couldn’t finish it. The beef in the yakisoba was so dry I was sweating trying to not spit it out. The noodles were disgusting and honestly tasted like a mircowave meal. The person with me also ordered the chicken teriyaki and it was the same story, the chicken was really dry and gross, the only thing that made it edible was the sauce you get in a grocery story. Idk how this place had high reviews but don’t come here unless you wanna waste your hard earned money
Caleb B — Google review
Went here for the first time for lunch. Teriyaki chicken was fantastic along with the fried rice and sweet carrots. Don't usually eat mushrooms but these were cooked to perfection along with the chicken.
Bryan W — Google review
Yoshi's Grill is a great place for sushi, which to me is easily the most attractive feature about this location. It is one of the few locations in Huntersville/the north Mecklenburg area that specializes in sushi and it does this very well. They have a wide variety of different types of sushi rolls you can choose from, in addition to other typical Japanese dishes. Many of these rolls have an interesting twist or an ingredient that is not commonly found in the USA; for example, the eel roll is quite good and something a bit more rare to find here in North Carolina. The service is also good and I have not had any negative interactions or incidents regarding this part of the dining experience. In summary, I would certainly recommend Yoshi's Grill, though I will say you will have a hard time finding sufficient parking during busy lunch or dinner hours as it is located in a popular part of town.
Reece P — Google review
I ordered 4 meals through door dash and received 3 meals. I called and they confirmed they did not send the last meal. Total incompetence. They told me I could I pick up the meal. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of paying someone to deliver???

just wanted to give a shoutout to the crew working around 5:00pm Tuesday evening! it was sooo busy but still got our to go order quickly. our hibachi was delicious! we really appreciated the portions. thank you guys!

3Zafran Kabab Palace

Indian restaurant
Pakistani restaurant
Zafran Kabab Palace is a casual restaurant in University City offering an extensive menu of traditional Indian and Pakistani cuisine. The restaurant is known for its kebabs, clay oven BBQ, rice dishes, and nine types of naan. During Ramadan, they offer a buffet dinner from iftar time until 9:30 pm every night.
If you are craving for some good authentic Indian/Pakistani cuisine in Charlotte, this is a great place. Their chicken chargah, mutton shinwari/kadai are must haves! Folks are friendly, open longer than other places. When I am visiting IKEA or UNCC, this is a must stop!
Anwar H — Google review
Exploring the world one plate at a time! This time, we stopped by Zafran Palace in Charlotte and focused on their Pakistani side of the menu. From what we gathered, this spot serves a blend of Afghan, Pakistani, and Indian cuisine under one roof — and it’s family-owned, which always adds a nice touch of authenticity. We kicked things off with the Veg Pakora, a crispy fried appetizer packed with shredded vegetables. Solid start — crunchy, hot, and well-spiced. Next up, the Beef Nihari. While the flavors were rich and slow-cooked, it felt like it was missing something — maybe a touch more brightness or depth to bring it home. Not bad, just didn’t wow. Then came the Beef Kababs with Afghan rice. The kababs had a good char and a tender bite. The real highlight, though, was the green chutney — bright, tangy, and elevated everything on the plate. Rating: 3 out of 5 stars. I’d be open to going back, but the atmosphere plays a role — and we were the only dine-in guests. A few takeout orders came and went, but the empty dining room did make things feel a bit flat.
Daniel G — Google review
I usually don’t write reviews, but after my experience at Zafran Restaurant, I feel compelled to share. My friends and I went there for a casual dine-in meal, and we ordered the 6 skewer kabob for $27.99 from the menu. Everything seemed normal until we got the bill. To our surprise, they charged us $35.97 instead of the advertised $27.99! When we asked about the difference, the staff claimed it was because the order was for “to-go,” but at no point did they inform us of this when we placed our order. We were never told that ordering the kabobs as “dine-in” would cost us more or that we would be charged for a take-out order. Why wasn’t this mentioned upfront? It’s frustrating to be caught off guard at the end of the meal when there’s no transparency from the beginning. Additionally, the kabobs were served to us on plates, as expected for a dine-in experience, and there was no mention that this would be a “to-go” order. If they had been upfront and communicated this at any point during the ordering process, we would have had a chance to make an informed decision. It’s disappointing to see this kind of hidden cost, and honestly, it felt like a sneaky move. If they plan on charging customers differently for take-out versus dine-in, they should definitely be more clear about it from the start. I won’t be coming back, and I would recommend others be cautious when ordering here. Transparency goes a long way in building trust with customers—something Zafran could definitely improve on.
Namrah A — Google review
Overall experience was good. Most recommended dish to try here Aloo paratha, chicken 65, Mutton briyani. We felt option for vegetarian is less. Other than ambience and food was good.
Nithya S — Google review
Authentic and delicious food. Friendly service. Clean and well managed. The chicken seekh kababs over afghani rice were cooked to perfection. Sesame naan was soft and fresh baked. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Gary W — Google review
I ordered the Goat Haleem. It was delicious and nicely spiced. I’ll be back. Wish more restaurants served goat. It was too good to stop and a take photo until after I was done
Damian S — Google review
The chicken boneless handi at Zafran Kabab Palace is rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor! The chicken is tender and perfectly cooked, soaking up the buttery, spiced gravy that’s both comforting and indulgent. It pairs beautifully with naan or rice. A definite go-to dish if you're craving classic Pakistani-style handi done right!
Santosh M — Google review
If you're a fan of authentic flavors, do not miss the mutton paya at Zafran Kabab Palace! The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced—comforting and indulgent at the same time. The mutton is fall-off-the-bone tender and cooked to perfection. This dish is a true standout and easily one of the best paya I've had in a long time. Highly recommend for anyone craving traditional South Asian cuisine done right!

Halal restaurant
If you find yourself in uptown Charlotte, make sure to swing by the Halal Food Cart, a beloved food truck that has become a staple for locals craving delicious halal cuisine. Conveniently located at the bustling intersection of Trade and Tryon, this cart serves up mouthwatering dishes like chicken and lamb over rice, falafel on pita, and refreshing lamb salad. The Chicken and Lamb Combo over rice is particularly popular among patrons.
Cheap, delicious, a lot of food and open very late night. What more can you want?! Location is prime too. Would totally recommend the combo plate with chicken and lamb over rice with the white special sauce and add a drizzle of the spicy sauce. The falafel were delicious too. Would recommend if you are looking for a late night munchy or a cheap meal.
Akira K — Google review
The hype is real. Been hearing about this place for years and finally got the opportunity to try it, I'll be back ASAP. Had the chicken and lamb over rice And it was absolutely incredible. Wonderfully tender meat and impeccably aromatic rice. The dare you sauce is absolutely excellent, It's enough heat for a spice lord like myself to feel it but it's well balanced and flavorful so that it's actually enjoyable. I only wish I found myself in uptown more often so I could hit it up more frequently.
Bryan G — Google review
The food is always amazing and the service is great. The orders are ready very quickly. Unfortunately, when I ordered a vegetarian meal with falafel, I found some meat in my food. It looks like chicken. Anyone who seriously wants to avoid meat should probably tell the staff so that they can try to prepare the food separately.
Kat M — Google review
The worst service ever. 1st they over charged us. I ordered falafel over rice $7.99. End up paying $10 & some change. I asked why it was so high, they replied because you used a card. Then when I checked my food, the falafel where smashed. The food tasted old; especially the falafel. They told me they cooked them a hour ago. And said they don't have any more to cook. However, he did offer another choice but mister I want vegetables. Anyway he told us he couldn't print a recipe nor could he refund our money because we used a card. This was the worst and I DONT RECOMMEND THEM. My whole plate was old food sitting on a slow Monday night.

Halal Food Cart – Review: Halal Food Cart is a popular spot for quick, flavorful Middle Eastern and Mediterranean street food. Known for its fresh ingredients and authentic spices, it offers dishes like chicken or lamb gyro, falafel, rice plates, and fresh salads. The portions are generous and often come with tasty sauces like tahini and hot sauce. Perfect for a satisfying, affordable meal on the go. The service is usually fast and friendly, making it a great choice for lunch or a casual bite. If you love bold, savory flavors and crave authentic halal options, this cart is a solid pick.
Andrew J — Google review
This is a favorite place of mine to go to whenever I’m in the city, they’re extremely affordable, friendly, quick, and you get such a huge portion of food for the price you are paying, I frequently get either the chicken salad or lamb shawarma, anything on this menu is great though you definitely will be satisfied regardless of what you order.
Khamillah M — Google review
This spot is hit or miss at night. During the day, the food is great! At night, your food may just be thrown together for a quick sale. Tonight is my last “night” eating at this spot. The cooker mixed old hard rice with the new rice and you can tell… I tried to eat 3 bites and kept spitting out hard pieces of rice. I recommended going during the daytime before sunset because at night you ever know how it’ll be cooked! They do take cared/debit cards now and also beware of the begging homeless people surrounding you trying to stand in line to order as well.
Dee J — Google review
Ordered a chicken philly (chk & chz only). They never placed anything on the grill! Never going back.

Jasmine Grill is a restaurant specializing in authentic Mediterranean cuisine like beef kebab, beef and lamb shawarma plate, and lamb kebab. They also offer catering for those who want to celebrate an unforgettable event. Kabab is a Middle Eastern food that consists of pieces of meat grilled on a skewer.
This is a great place to eat wonderful food, or hang out for a simple dessert date. The people are friendly and quick to get you what you need. The food is fresh and always good. Make sure to try their 'Dubai Brownie'. To say this is divine is an understatement (I don't like brownies, but I will eat this all day long)

Remarkable taste, we ordered their family meal and one of their specialties, the Mansaf. Their authentic Turkish Coffee is also laudable. Overall we love the experience. Although we have a slight comment on their service but lack of organization can be corrected.
Gil S — Google review
I have found yet another favorite spot in Charlotte. We went in between lunch and dinner so it was very quiet in there. The young lady that helped us was so sweet and made the best iced banana latte. Our food was so good and the portions were kind of big and we had leftovers for later. This place seems like a great place for a birthday/event dinner.
A S — Google review
We wanted to try something different and went to this place to try Mediterranean style food. We ordered chicken Sambosas and fries for appetisers. They were out of ketchup and no straws for the drinks. Turkish coffee was good. The platter was decent which came with two sides and garlic sauce, chilli paste were okay. I had to wait quite long to get hold of waiter even my food was cold to order yogurt cucumber to eat with fish kabab and yellow rice.
Babita — Google review
One of our favorites in Charlotte. The service is amazing. The food is good. We usually hangout at this spot. The mint tea is good. The fries are amazing. They do have hookah and is really good. I love the sides and the sauces here. Baba ganoush and hummus are just too good. A guilt free food place for calorie counters.
REEBA T — Google review
Absolutely, without any doubt one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have ever dined in. The service was immaculate and the food was done to perfection. It is a big restaurant but I was shocked by how little people were there but then it was just lunch. The taste of the food was out of this world.

Shawarma platter was incredible. When the pita comes in a ziploc you know it’s going to be a great meal. Fabulous hummus and the yellow rice had so much flavor. Amazing find!

Halal Street Food is a popular food truck in Charlotte, NC, known for its mouthwatering chicken and lamb over rice combo and the incredibly spicy Dare You Sauce. The food truck has expanded to two brick-and-mortar locations offering traditional dishes and food cart favorites like wraps, crepes, salads, and kebabs. The menu includes different platters and ala carte options made with fresh ingredients that leave customers satisfied yet craving more.
It a good spot for Mediterranean food… Rabeya was very friendly and easy to order a meal. She had a great customer service experience. Food service is super quick and friendly. Thank you to make my first time easy and quick.
Min S — Google review
Usually love this place but they gave me 2/3 of my order vs what I normally get and as you’ll see in others photos.
Pawel — Google review
The young lady who took my order was very nice as was the young lady who handed me my order and the place looks clean or else the rating would have been much lower. I was so excited when this store front first opened and came here several times to support them, but I came to feel that the food was very over priced so I stopped coming. It’s probably been a year since I’ve been here I order my food. A Greek salad and a Gyro with small fries and and a canned drink and it came up to $30 dollars as you will see there are plenty of great veggies on the gyro but as a play on the old saying goes where’s the meat! The Gyro alone cost 11.99.. I did not order a veggie Gyro, i paid 3.99 to upgrade to a combo meal adding on the small fry and canned drink. Anyway I ordered a lamb gyro! The salad was 11.99 as well. It was at least decent or along the lines of what’s expected. A younger guy made my salad and The guys who made my gyro seem to be a full adult male. If I remember correctly I think this is a family business so I hate to leave a bad review BUT I also hate throwing away money. I would say if you all give a little more value instead of trying to be so cheap you will probably make the money back. I know times are tough BUT they are tough for everyone so folks will go where their dollar matters..
Dionne H — Google review
Food was great would definitely recommend everything off of the menu. If you are looking for great food portions this is the place for you. The cashier Rabeya was very friendly and helpful as she recommended great options. Looking forward to come back again soon.
Estafford L — Google review
First time trying this place out and my wife and I really enjoyed it. The food was very fresh and the flavors were full of spice. I had the chicken shawarma wrap and loved it. The fries were fantastic. We will be revisiting them soon.
Java J — Google review
It's one of our favorite spots to eat at! We have been going here since they opened every time we go, it's incredibly delicious. Last night was no exception, I wanted to try something different, and the most amazingly helpful cashier named Rabeya suggested we try the kebabs. They were so tasty, from the seasoning to the sauces she included for us to try. My partner had the lamb, and I had the chicken. Both were juicy and tender, and having them cook over the coals really adds so much dimension to the flavors. If you haven't been, you need to immediately go! If you're not sure what to get or nervous about trying something new, one can only hope you get the pleasure of talking to Rabeya for a suggestion and to hear someone so passionate about a cuisine is truly a treat.
Emily — Google review
A convenient location. It's right beside a Starbucks & Gas Station. If you're craving Falafel, lamb, and Mediterranean, this will definitely hit the spot. Very clean inside. Various tables to choose from if you decide to dine in. Full menu that consists of wraps, salads, platters, and many side dish items. We ordered a chicken pita with fries and a chicken Greek salad. Both are very tasty with lots of flavor. Ordered one falafel, was not really a fan. It was small and cold and felt like powder when I but into it. The employees were super friendly and efficient. Put our order in, and no less than 2 minutes, our order was ready. Definitely will be returning to try other things on their menu.

I’ve came here a few times and absolutely love the food. Today we ordered two chicken kebabs over rice, a Philly cheesesteak wrap, lamb shawarma, chicken shawarma and fries. My total came out to $80. The chicken itself was nicely seasoned with a blend of spices that gave it a slightly smoky and savory flavor. The texture was a bit tough so it was hard to chew. I was disappointed because that hasn’t been the case the past few times I came. I expected it to be juicy and tender. But the rice was cooked to perfection. The rest of the food was phenomenal and very tasty.

Food & the atmosphere is great the service is trash. The energy is off in there, their kinda rude!!! make sure u pray over the food or burn some sage before you go in there

Good REAL food! We tried oxtail, turkey wings, curry and bbq chicken. I'm so glad too because I was running out of places to patronize. They proved to be worthy. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items. Don't be turned off by the reviews regarding service. They are polite, it's just a cultural difference. I do not believe they mean to be rude at all.
Zee U — Google review
The food here is amazing. The Mac and cheese tastes homemade. The chicken must be slow cooked because it’s extra tender. The rice is great. The portion size is also good so the price is worth it. I can eat it a few times since I’m a light eater. I’ve never been disappointed eating here. Try it out!

This food is better quality in the area. The curry chicken has been seasoned and very tasteful. The collard greens are fresh and not sitting around all day like some places do!! I was surprised to see that the food was still fresh looking close to closing!! I guess it means, the eat their own food. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Got the beef stew over rice with a side of Mac and cheese and the sweet plantains! Incredibly flavourful food, also got the chicken empanada which was so perfectly crispy and fresh when we got it! Would return again for sure for great halal food!

The shyt is delicious yo.. NO PORK AT ALL!!! i only had the turkey wings . Fresh.. with the rice if course. I got the mashed plantains with the red onions on them.. the portions are big enough to eat twice off of it . Plus they wrap to go orders in plastic wrap. This keeping hot n waste of juice.. and they are ready at 10 am.. call in your fried chicken order 10 minutes ahead of time . It takes 20 minutes to cook.. 5 ⭐✨⭐✨⭐ across the board..

DASHER REVIEW: This is a nice little stop-n-go spot for a meal. I love to see cultured restaurants such as this one owned and operated by folks of the culture. It's adds to the authenticity of it all (to those whom that matters to). I came around 1130a so there was no crowd. The meal I picked took around 5 to 10 mins to prepare. So not much longer of a wait. The place was clean and well kept so that's always a plus for some place you get your food. Their food items are fairly priced with a decent selection of items for your taste buds. They have things from kabobs ... Obviously with a name like kebabs-2-go lol... Falafel, kebeh, what's a variety of foods like shrimp, beef, and chicken. (Menu in photos) All in all, This is a place that I would recommend you visit. It is a place that I will be visiting myself very soon Hope this review helps 😀

MAN OHH MAN!!! THANK YOU MAAN!!! WE WERE SERVED BY A GENTLEMAN, AND HE WAS VERY NICE, VERY GENEROUS. WE GRABBED SOME FOOD AND IT WAS VERY INCREDIBLE. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF YOU'RE ANYWHERE IN THE CHARLOTTE. NORTH CAROLINA AREA FOR SOME REASON, THE SOUTH END STORE IS BETTER THAN THE REST OF THE STORES. THIS GUY IS SUPER NICE. I THINK YOU SPELL HIS NAME M. AAN VERY NICE GUY FROM JORDAN AND SET US UP WITH A GREAT MEAL FOR THE EVENING, VERY GOOD, MEDITERRANEAN FOOD. THANKS AGAIN, WE'LL BE BACK.

Rotisserie cooked chicken and lamb big enough for two servings. Incredibly delicious; although a bit dry, but the garlic sauce really helped.

The food was good and the service was great. I think this is a great choice if you're in the south end area and are looking for something better than fast food without breaking the bank. The sandwiches come with fries for $11-13 which is almost unheard of in this area. I would definitely recommend you stop by and try it. The sandwich is about 14 inches long.

Avg Mediterranean food. Chicken shawarma was okay. Fries could use seasoning. Tabboule had too much oil. Kibab were seasonless.

I’ve been trying a lots of Arabic restaurants in NC for the last 12 years. This place is simply one of best arabic (and most authentic one) period. We ordered a variety of plates (veggie & non-veggie) and they were all good. Everything was fresh and made in-house including appetizers. People working here are so nice and polite, A+ quality & service. Will definitely come again soon. Shout-out to Joe and Abood, they were the best, and made the experience even better with their service.

Halal Kitchen Ink is a delightful food truck that specializes in serving halal cuisine, offering both online ordering and a cozy outdoor dining space for those who prefer to enjoy their meals on-site. The menu, though compact, is packed with flavor and includes options like hummus bowls, chicken over rice, lamb over rice, chicken shawarma over hummus, sandwiches, and chicken salad. Many visitors rave about the generous portions and quick service—often receiving their meals in under ten minutes!
I travel over 90 miles from Columbia, SC to Charlotte, NC just for Halal Kitchen Ink—and let me tell you, it’s worth every single mile. This isn't just a food truck; it's a full-blown culinary experience on wheels. From the moment you step up to the window, you’re greeted like family. The service is top-tier, fast, friendly, and professional. But let’s talk about the real star: the food. The flavors are phenomenal. Whether it's the juicy lamb over rice, perfectly seasoned chicken, or that mouthwatering white sauce they should bottle and sell—it’s all cooked to perfection, fresh, and Halal-certified. You can taste the love and pride in every bite. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the consistency? Impressive every single time. This place has officially ruined all other food trucks for me. If you're in the Charlotte area—or even hours away like I am—make the trip. Halal Kitchen Ink isn’t just good, it’s destination-worthy. 🔥 Pro Tip: Order ahead. They get BUSY for a reason.
Khori K — Google review
Got it the first time and it was good. The second time it was a mess. No consistency on the service. Paid extra for no salad and extra rice but I got half of the plate salad. The chicken was old and tasted bad. It really depends on the time and luck. Will not repeat. Funny, I had to travel 2.5 hrs thinking this is the best in NC. The same halal cart that got me excited, now it is making hate chicken or lamb over rice.

Tried a halal cart today and it really hit the spot. I got the classic chicken over rice with white sauce and a little hot sauce. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, the rice was fluffy, and the salad on the side was fresh. The white sauce tied everything together perfectly, and the hot sauce had a real kick. Portions were generous and the price was fair for what you get. Quick service too. Definitely a solid choice for a fast, tasty meal on the go.

Halal GyroMan is a popular stationary food truck that serves halal food from 9 a.m. until 4 a.m., making it a great option for late-night cravings, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when it stays open till 3-3:30. The lamb dishes are highly recommended, especially when ordered spicy with green sauce. Customers can enjoy discounts if paying in cash.
Halal Gyroman is hands-down one of the best spots for street food in the city! The flavors are bold, fresh, and absolutely satisfying. Their chicken and lamb gyros are packed with perfectly seasoned meat, crisp veggies, and mouthwatering sauces that hit all the right notes. Portion sizes are generous, prices are reasonable, and the service is always friendly and fast. You can really tell they put care into what they serve. The cart is always clean, and the vibe is super welcoming. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or a late-night bite, Halal Gyroman is a must-try. Don’t miss their signature white sauce — it’s next-level!

I’m starting to think whoever own this cart gave up or it’s been under new management and it’s not good. I’ve seen old reviews and this cart sounds like it used to be the spot! Now… it seems to have lost its former glory. The cart itself is beat up. The wrap is pealing off various spots. None of the pricing is listed. Looking inside it’s unclean and a mess. I ordered lamb over rice and it was forgettable. Not a fan of the rice. Should be simple but the whole meal was tasteless. Not worth the price either. My recommendation. Walk to the other side of the block and order from the Red Halal cart.
James N — Google review
Lamb Gyro is Amazing! Mohammed and Morris made one of the best lamb gyros I have ever had. Dripping with sauce and well cooked and seasoned lamb, fresh lettuce and onions. I couldn't believe it was that good right here in downtown Charlotte. I was told they are open until after 4am most nights. I am impressed and looking forward to trying additional gyros soon.

I'm here in Charlotte, working a tattoo convention. So obviously getting out, it's already really late. I don't drink etc. Came to get a Gyro and fries.... get the food, pay, tip 30%... get back to my friends and ready to eat. Well.... the Gyro had peppers in it. Which doesn't belong in Gyro, nor was in promoted anywhere on the truck that it had it, otherwise I wouldn't of ordered it since being allergic to it, and Gyro only has tzatziki sauce, tomatoes and onions. The fries weren't even fully cooked. I returned back and told them, to see if they would remake it. The answer no OK well a refund No. Only the Gyro Not the fries nor my tip, that they simply didn't deserve. The tone of voice was extremely rude as well. They probably don't care since the truck is in front of a car and are used to people over the limit... but I'm a sober person. And totally uncalled for. I definitely do not recommend.
Lord G — Google review
It's the worst!! I got the lamb over rice and it was stale!! The rice was so cold and hard to chew, the meat was bland and the sauce was sour and way too less for the quantity!! This was my first and last time trying it. Would not recommend!

This whole experience was trash the owner was very inappropriate with me and my girls. He was making passes at us and tried to give us free food for our phone number. The food was soooo trash I hate the person that suggested this food to me. Sick people and sick food.

The lamb gyros have always been my favorite go to item. Sadly their standards and food quality have dropped significantly. The guy handling my food was touching his nose and not even washing his hands. When I finally got my food, my first bite was met with a PENNY, yes a PENNY. I will never ever come back.

Halal off course- great quick meal if you are hungry or are in the mood for some truck food. We tried both chicken and beef and both are good. If you like extremely spicy then use the red sauce. Without the white sauce it’s really plain and not much spices. Good customer service and location. Try for yourself!

I was a little shaky at first, but this place is overly decent compared to NY where we have Halal trucks . This place is actually at the top of the chain when it comes to Halal and the deals alone you get just for being a regular is outstanding. Parking lot right outside is convenient as well .

Dirty tables. Not so professional staff, I ordered a gyro and guy literally “blew” on the bread ! He was trying to open a wrapper with bread in his hand . Absolute disastrous experience. Sorry but Avoid at any cost.

I ordered two (2) chicken platters and both platters were served with spoiled chicken! Upon receiving my food, I was taken back on the color of the cooked chicken but ultimately assumed it was nothing to worry about. After a few bites, I was very alarmed! The chicken had a very strange taste and smell. I did some research and confirmed that the chicken was indeed spoiled! This is a food safety risk!!!!

I believe the fact that management responds to every review speaks for itself. For those who have left negative reviews, I don’t think you understand the impact that can have on a business. Simply bring your issues up to the staff And give them the opportunity to make it right at that point. They have responded to every negative with gratitude and suggestions on how to make it right. I myself have eaten here many times and happen to love the food. Does it taste like “NYC”… I guess it all depends on where you have eaten in New York City. They have THEIR own distinct cuisine. They have a great variety of choices. The staff is always top notch.

We visited after a movie, and we were quickly greeted at the door and seated. The co-owner was one of the ones that seated us and was attentive throughout our stay. My wife and I shared the mixed grill, and everything was great... My only negative would be the steak was cooked too much. Both the soups we got were awesome, the garlic sauce and the Mediterranean salsa were amazing! We had a nice conversation with the co-owner again, and we were treated with a baklava dessert. We will definitely be back next time we visit the movie theater. When we were leaving, even one of the waiters came over and held the door for my wife, you don't find that much anymore. Awesome.

We went on a Sunday mid-afternoon and the place was nearly empty. The service was good, fast and friendly. The food was over cooked. My shrimp was a bit tough and the vegetables were mushy. Looked more like a stew and not at all like the picture in the menu. The fries were very tasty and the serve pita and tizaki complementary that was great. We are all about leftovers and taking half the dish home. We didn’t bother.

Sorry..! I normally take the picture before eating but they Took a little longer and I was hungry. Lol I know normally most restaurants will give you the entrée before the main dish. But they bought both of them together. Before they bought the food over I asked them more about the food like what comes with it and what’s in it. I’m not allergic to anything, I’m just curious because I never ate their food before. when I ask, The server girl did not know and ask her colleague and colleague he explained to me About the food, but did not explain to me what’s in. And and when I ask the server girl about another dish, she did not know about her own dish, so I’m not sure if she’s new or just don’t know it so She wasn’t that knowledgeable about the food. And when I was eating, she was too busy talking to the boys Next to me and Have her colleague that works explaining about the food to me to see how I’m doing. Except for her doing it. The food was good. It wasn’t a big wow🤯 but it’s good and decent. I would say I like the bread part that comes with it when you first walk in with this sauce on a side. The food do come in big portions so just be aware of that. But other than that, the food is pretty good and it’s pretty much new. And if you ever come over here, just ask somebody who’s more knowledgeable about their food so you won’t have allergic reaction or you’re curious about it

If you want different and flavorful food, this is the place to go! New family owned restaurant located right in Sun Valley shopping center. Plenty of parking spaces to choose from and seating inside. We were greeted immediately by our hostess who was very pleasant. Ordered their lamb skewers which came with free chicken or lentil soup, rice and vegetables. The chicken soup was packed with flavor and so was the lamb. Very well marinated and it all blended perfectly well. Husband ordered their lamb plate that came with house salad and he tried their lentil soup. Not a fan of lentil but goodness, that soup was very delicious and flavorful. Overall just great food and everyone was super friendly and efficient. Definitely returning.

Yes! I finally made it there, and it was fantastic! I walked in the door and multiple people (including the owner) welcoming me. My husband was already seated with a friend. I had the lentil soup, husband had the chicken soup. So flavorful, I could smell the spice when they brought the cup! My husband had the meat shawarma, I had the shish kebab plate with grilled veggies on the side. Look at this plate of veggies. For an extra buck! What a bargain. The rice was fluffy and full of flavors. To wrap it all up we were treated with a hot tea (owners mom's recipe) and some baklava. Not only was the meal delicious, for 3 people we paid $60. We will definitely be going back.

Food here was so delicious, HOWEVER, we ordered one almond salad with no almonds in sight and when I asked the waiter about it, he said they ran out of almonds….I just feel like he could have mentioned that while he was taking the order. In addition to that the service takes an extremely long time. All the food that they brought correctly though was so tasty and garlicky, I liked it a lot.

The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. Mazi delivers an exceptional brunch experience that's a significant step above typical brunch fare. The restaurant strikes the perfect balance with its sleek, understated elegance - sophisticated without being pretentious. The small plates concept is brilliant, allowing you to sample multiple dishes without overindulging. Every single item we tried was simply excellent - no weak spots on this menu. The service was outstanding throughout our visit. This is truly a 5-star experience that you owe to yourself. We're already planning our return visit to work our way through the rest of the menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their brunch game.

We had such a nice time exploring the food at Mazi! The entire staff was welcoming! I believe every person working there spoke to us at some point. The manager interacted with all tables and our server, Germaine, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food. He explained every dish to us. We tried a variety of items and enjoyed them all! We like unique menu items so this was the place for us! We started with the Black Walnut Muhammara, which was full of flavor and came with slightly toasted gooey bread. This bread was so amazing, we ordered more. Next we got the scallops, which came with a white sauce and they were very tasty and refreshing. We ordered Lion’s Mane Mushroom Shawarma which you pick up like a lettuce wrap to eat. This was very good and had a nice crunch to it. We also ordered the prawns (you can have them without the heads) which we enjoyed the most! The tuna was the last dish we ordered and that was very different than I expected. Probably because I’m used to uncooked or hardly cooked tuna. It did come with a white sauce and we asked the other male server there for more which he promptly brought to us. He deserves a shout-out because he was also helpful to us when walking by more than once. We ended with the sundae which is small but plenty for us and it had so much flavor! Parking: We ended up parking in the parking deck nearby. We went to P2 and parked in ‘Blue Area’ near the doors to the elevator (picture included). The doors to the elevator look like you need a keycard or code to access them but you don’t. We went right down, walked by Nikko Restaurant and back outside. We entered Mazi from the back door rather than walk all the way around. I think some people park in nearby lots and use the ParkMobile app. There were a couple handicap spaces by the back door of Mazi. When South Blvd is behind you and you’re facing Mazi from the road, the right side of the building is their back door and the parking deck. The left side is the main entrance and close to the Park Mobile parking lots. It did get loud inside but that’s a sign of a bustling restaurant and I was happy to see it packed on a Wednesday night!

girls night out with 3 of my friends. Pleasant and friendly experience from the moment we walked in we were greeted by Eric and his staff. They were friendly , excited to have us there for our first visit. Our hostess Kevin was incredibly friendly. He offered to give us a sample of one of the cocktails, so we could try it before placing an order which was very nice of him. We ended up ordering our 3 drinks. Got a few things off the menu to try and I have to say the lamb was by far our favorite. We ordered it twice. The cast-iron shrimp was very average. It didn’t come in a cast-iron, which is what we were expecting that it would be sizzling hot and it tasted like it had just come out of packaging seasoned for a few seconds and just cooked - perhaps overcooked. It lacked the flavor and seasoning that we were hoping for. The appetizer walnut dip was delicious with the pita. It would be nice to see some more heavy veggie small plate items added to the menu that have some spice and flavor. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and will probably go back again.

Took the risk of visiting a few days after the restaurant opened, but no issues at all. Very smooth service and great atmosphere. Tried many of the small plates (yes, small) and although we preferred some more than others no misses at all. Plates come as the kitchen prepares them, but our server was able to ensure we received just a couple at a time, so we did not get 'table overload". As expected, a very interesting cocktail list and the wine list is moderately priced with a number of western (France, Spain, Italy) Mediterranean wines as well as wines from Greece and Lebanon (we needed some assistance with these, which we received, since we are not so familiar with them). Overall, a great experience, noise level grew during the evening but was never overpowering.

Such a beautiful interior with friendly service staff! Everyone including the server, bartender and manager were so friendly, bartender came over to our table and asked if they could come up with a drink based on what my friend ordered and gave a cool alternative with a story behind it. Food was so tasty and mocktails were perfect for a birthday celebration and will definitely be celebrating more things here

The owner was very nice but I just have to be honest with the community. This place was not good. The food, yes small plates, was terrible. The beef tar tar came with nothing to eat it with, as if we just want to snack on raw meat alone. The Caesar salad was a joke (please see the picture). Our server was just bizzare and rude to us. The shawarma was also hilariously bad( see lettuce wraps in picture, the size of a dollar coin) The “fresh baked bread” was actually just pita. As much as I wanted to like this place it really was terrible start to finish. The wine was at least decent. Sorry to the owner, you were very kind but I can’t just let this slide.

Mazi is a newly opened gem in South End and after the amazing visit I had today, it deserves more love and attention than it received tonight. It's tucked away in a business park near Lincoln's Haberdashery but signage is good. There is parking in the lot of the u-shaped building, but may be all taken at busier hours if the day. Street parking is available on E. Bland. They have a huge bar and amazing bartenders. I enjoyed my drink. Pretty and tasty. There's lots of seating inside, at the bar, booth and tables. The menu has really good variety I enjoyed pretty much everything I tried. So fresh and so good. My fav were the dips. If you order the whipped feta or hummus you get an order of the amazing grilled bread. When I say it was good, I mean it. Plating was beautiful on every dish. I appreciate the effort that went into not only making the food taste good, but also making it look good. Our server was great - really patient and helpful. He gave great descriptions and recommendations of the menu. The chef came out to greet us, everyone really went out of their way to make it a great visit. What I appreciated most is that the prices are reasonable - Something that is becoming harder to find these days, but that allows you to really enjoy the meal and try various items. That's what I plan to come back and do. I hope they get more media attention because this place is really is amazing.

Our experience here was absolutely incredible. Jamaine was amazing! He was super friendly and gave us the best recommendations. You have to try the black walnut muhammara, just as Jamaine said, you won’t regret it! We also had the lamb shank, hummus, whipped feta, m’battan, and a few other things. Everything is meant to be shared, and the drinks were delicious! I can’t wait to come back. This is exactly what Charlotte needed!

Food court
Uzbeki restaurant
Halal Eats, situated at 500 W Summit Ave in Charlotte, offers a delectable selection of Uzbek and Tajik cuisines. The menu boasts an array of beef, lamb, and chicken dishes, with the layered tandoor samsa being a standout item. This dish features tender marinated meat cooked in a traditional tandoor oven. Customers have praised the half Chicken Tabaka and Beef Samsa for their flavorful and tender qualities.
The food was excellent! It is Central Asian food, so Uzbek and Tajik! I ordered the half Chicken Tabaka, the Beef Samsa and one kulcha (which is like a bagel). The chicken was exactly like rotisserie chicken, except the herbs and spices used were Uzbek/Tajik. It was very tender, and I’ve noticed that in kosher/halal meat. My favorite was the beef samsa, which was layers of pastry with ground beef! I highly recommend this place! They don’t have a sit-down place, so you have to take the food with you.

I wouldn’t recommend going there to anyone – it’s very expensive and… Plov: The meat is dry, and the rice is very tough! Manti: Please, learn how to make it properly! There are plenty of tutorials on Instagram on how to prepare manti – take a look and learn! Samsa: Very expensive and extremely small! ⭐️

Such a waste of money!!! The rice was hard and very oily and the meat was DRY! Nothing had flavor at all, I was highly disappointed. For the price of the plate it should at least come with one sauce.

Delicious plov! only disappointing about location and basically only pickup option. There is basically no dine in option and better to come where order already placed online and is ready. Also parking is small and were busy and it wasn’t easy to park for pickup. So, next time we will order Doordash

The food was bland. No flavor. Was disappointed in the presentation. Food seemed a bit slimy and soggy and maybe because it was take out but still wasn’t really good at all.

The plov was good, the meat was definitely the best part of it. We really loved the manti, but whoever decided to put kebab in a soup needs to be fired. That is absolutely disgusting. When I ordered it, I thought the meat came separately and the soup as an appetizer for it, but this was a complete dissapointment. The size of the bread is rather sad, the taste was good though, but for the price of 3 bucks, it is to be expected, I guess. Overall I would recommend this place for sure, just dont order the kebabs, that thing is absolute tragic. Never in my life have I seen a kebab in a soup, considering I lived in the country of origin for the cuisine served at this place my whole life.

I wanted to try some Uzbek food because I am familiar with it. But, it was a disaster. Plov was way too oily, and the beef was dry. I guess I should’ve listened to the comments. Also, the price?? For the 5 pieces of the driest beef cubes on top!? 😅 I have tried layered tandoor samsa and the beef dumplings. Their stuffing tasted the same. I wouldn’t really go again or order.

Do yourself a favor and order food here at your earliest convenience! This place is an absolute gem. Even if you’re not typically an “adventurous” eater, you will love this food. The cuisine of Uzbekistan has influences from all over the world and is flavored with wonderful spices without being spicy. The spiciest dishes are still mild heat, but they are packed with flavors reminiscent of China, the Middle East, India, and even Europe! Halal Eats is a must - add it to your bucket list today, and also cross it off your bucket list today. You’ll be glad you did. And you’ll keep going back for more, I guarantee.
