Living Kitchen, also known as Lunas Living Kitchen, is a modern eatery that offers vegetarian and vegan dishes made with fresh, organic ingredients. The restaurant prides itself on serving nourishing plant-based cuisine, including raw food options that are both delicious and satisfying.
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant upon arrival. The atmosphere was certainly a great vibe with live music and quaint table settings. We were greeted more than once by the staff. Our server was knowledgeable and informative. The food was delicious and the desert didn’t disappoint. This vegetarian organic restaurant is a must try.

Amazing restaurant!!! Everything is so fresh and it’s evident in the quality that the food is made from whole, healthy ingredients. Its food that tastes incredible and leaves you feeling great too, which is surprisingly hard to find! I’ve been vegan for ~10 years and this is one of my absolute favorite vegan restaurants (and I’ve brought non-vegans who loved it too!). High recommend!!

We were visiting family in Charlotte, NC, and fortunately my husband found Luna’s Living Kitchen. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and was delighted to find I could have just about everything on the menu. We were happy to be seated with no wait. Our server was very knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. Ended up ordering food to take home with us. Highly recommended.

I recently started eating a vegan diet under recommendation from my physician — but eating out has been hard. I was so happy find a dedicated vegan restaurant on a day trip to Charlotte and was especially happy that even their vegan cheeses were house-made from good ingredients. We each ordered something different and traded bites and all were delicious. If you like spicy, try the Chipotle Quesadilla. The Fire & Brimstone burger was also delicious. And the Broccoli and Mushroom Flatbread also hit the spot — love the crispy crust. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring omnivore friends here with me for a meal as the food was that good. I will look forward to coming back.

Amazingly delicious vegetarian food! I’m not vegetarian by any means, but wow this food really hit the spot. To be honest if I could always eat like this I would consider going vegetarian. The nachos were delicious, make sure you get those. At first I was a bit confused on how a burrito wrapped in a leaf would work, but it was great! Definitely recommend this place, if I’m ever in Charlotte again I’ll for sure stop here for some delicious food.
G A — Google review
We loved it! We are so thankful to have a vegan and organic restaurant in Charlotte. The food was delicious and the employees were very friendly. We had the nachos, the pimento and cheddar cheese burgers, the brownie and the berry cheesecake.

Have been to this place for more than 5 years but this was my first time dining there since the covid-19. The parking garage is huge plus because parking was always a huge headache when considering going there. Very friendly staff and liked the patio seating option. Suggest to go Monday-Saturday though because their Sunday menu is reduced. But overall, liked the food and enjoyed the company from friends who I haven't seen for nearly 3 years.
Twang3411 — Google review
The food is fresh and flavorful. I had a vegan friend visiting from New Jersey, and she loved it. Unfortunately, I had an instance where I was waiting to be seated, and someone of a lighter persuasion was approached and seated before I was acknowledged. I will go back because I enjoy the food, hoping not to have a repeat performance.

French restaurant
Restaurant
La Belle Helene is a refined brasserie in Charlotte, offering French cuisine and an extensive selection of beer and wine. The elegant space features a lengthy bar and a lively atmosphere. Designed by renowned Parisian designer Richard Lafond, the restaurant exudes warmth and charm inspired by 19th century French architecture. The menu boasts decadent brunch options like the Salade Royale Helene, featuring lobster, avocado, and truffle vinaigrette.
We had an incredible anniversary dinner at La Belle Helene. We arrived around 7:56 PM and were initially offered a high-top, which we politely declined. After about a 20-minute wait, they completely made up for it by seating us in a private room in the back—such a thoughtful touch that made our evening feel extra special and intimate. The meal started with the Gougères, which were a light buttery bite. We followed with the escargot, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. For our mains, we had the Duck à l’Orange and the Bouillabaisse—both dishes came out hot, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. To finish the night, we shared the Le Citron for dessert—a stunning and unique lemongrass mousse that was as delicious as it was creative. What truly stood out was the service. Our server, Phillip, was kind, attentive, and answered all of our questions with care. The manager also went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience, and that really warmed my heart. If you’re looking for a romantic, elevated dining experience in Uptown, La Belle Helene is the place. I can’t wait to come back.

Harper was an amazing bartender. He honestly stole the show with his service. He guided us through the cocktail menu along with the food menu. The food was fantastic! Get the duck (any of the duck options) The drinks were 10/10 I will keep on raving about how I had one of the best expresso martinis here! We’ve been here twice now and the service, the food, and the experience has been amazing! Keep up the good work and thank you Harper!

We stopped by this charming French restaurant for lunch during a recent trip to Charlotte, drawn in by the glowing reviews—and we weren’t disappointed. The space is beautiful and tastefully decorated, creating a lovely atmosphere for dining. The lunch menu is reasonably priced, and everything we tried was enjoyable. The highlight for me was definitely the dessert—absolutely delicious! One small suggestion: it would be great if the French onion soup came in a smaller portion as an option, as it was quite salty and a bit too much for one person to finish. Overall, a satisfying and memorable experience.
Ivy L — Google review
Oh my goodness. I love this beautiful restaurant! It is so elegant and vintage. The food is amazing and authentic French cuisine- lots of butter! Wonderful experience. Great cappuccino too! My husband and I each ordered a dish and they split them for us so we could share. Yum! Definitely a treat for us - recommend! Oh, book a table before you go also!
Jessie P — Google review
From the moment you walk through the doors, you know you're about to have a special experience. The atmosphere sets the tone, but it’s the staff that truly elevates it — every team member was attentive, kind, and professional. The food? Absolutely excellent — both in taste and presentation. Each dish was crafted with care and flavor in mind. Our server, Justin, played a key role in making our evening unforgettable. His attention to detail and warm demeanor made us feel truly welcomed. But what completely won our hearts (and our taste buds) were the desserts. Simply unforgettable. We tried "La Ricane" — a peanut butter shortbread with caramel and chocolate. My husband was instantly captivated, as it reminded him of a gourmet Snickers bar. We also had "Le Citron", a delicate lemongrass mousse with lemon confit — light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. And then… the "Crème Brûlée au Miel". Wow. There was something so nostalgic about it — the subtle honey flavor took me straight back to my childhood. It was more than dessert; it was an emotional moment. This restaurant will absolutely be a must-visit stop on our next trip to Charlotte. A true gem.

Stopped here for lunch. I miss timed the ideal time to come here. I really wanted to try the beef bourguignon. Unfortunately was here for lunch so , lunch menu. I had : WEDGE SALAD with salmon . Cherry Tomatoes, Crispy Shallots, Seasoned Lardons, Pepita, Blue Cheese, Balsamic Reduction It was pretty ok nothing crazy. The staff was very friendly . Was not impressed with the added 3% “ kitchen fee”. I am sure this restaurant does not pay their own employees enough wage so they make the customers pay the difference. I would not be in a rush to return. The atmosphere is pleasing.
Thomas — Google review
Overly salty and honestly awful. The heavily seasoned fries, were rock hard. I had to mention this to Steven, the server, several times during my meal. Literally few lukewarm ones tossed on top to cover it up. The arugula salad wasn’t fresh either; it was limp and soggy. The petite au chocolat had a dry, stiff texture, nothing creamy or soft about it. I’m extremely disappointed and honestly expected far better.
YJ S — Google review
Went here for my daughters 17th birthday and had a great experience. There was 13 of us and our waiter was very attentive, food good… and although we were there until maybe 30 minutes before closing we did not feel rushed. He even came out and brought her dessert. I’d definitely go back. I had the salmon a la plancha with pommes purée, my bf has the rotisserie chicken and all three of the kids got steak frites. some of her friends had the steak burger and said it was good as well.

the food is really tasty. I love the sesame ginger dressing, the cauliflower rice is well-seasoned. really no complaints regarding the actual food. I ordered online a few days ago, and I wish I had a photo of the bowl I got, but it was filled to the brim in a takeout bowl. the lid "popped" off because they had really filled the bowl. ordering the same bowl in person, however, and even ADDING avocado to make up for some of the ingredients I didn't want, the bowl was just over halfway full, and I asked the employee if he would add more cauliflower rice, saying the bowl was full when I ordered online a couple of days prior (still skipping the ingredients I didn't want, without replacing anything!) and he rudely snapped "some people over-portion. we're working on that." then he begrudgingly gave me more cauliflower rice and said "anything else?" I still tipped, because everyone else was so smiley and kind and I assume employees split tips, but how rude. spending $17+ on a meal I expect to get my money's worth, but more than that I just don't appreciate the disrespect.
Mattan E — Google review
Little pricey for what you get but it’s a great salad option Uptown. The line gets long but moves relatively quickly. There was ample seating at lunchtime because most people get it to go.
Summer W — Google review
Pinterest Fail? What I ordered vs what I got. It’s embarrassing that they don’t even know how to follow their own recipes… it’s not like I customized anything. Also, I don’t want to call the store if my order is wrong. There should be an online option, especially if I ordered it thru their website. At least DoorDash would’ve credited me something.
Tracey G — Google review
Don't order on the app. Whomever is responsible for making these salads clearly doesn't care. When I started to eat my salad after returning to my office, one of the items in the Make Your Own salad option was missing (and you pay extra for it.) I decided to walk down and ask them to give me a side. The manager was annoyed and said "we're out of that item" and in the next second, team members said "oh we have plenty". They gave me some to place on top of my salad, but as the manager, I would expect her to care more about customer satisfaction. There was almost no salad dressing on it either. My recommendation: if you want to enjoy your order, be sure to go in and watch them make it. A $15 salad should be everything you want it to be......
Kathryn A — Google review
I ordered here twice and both times I found bits of ingredients I didn’t order (e.g., pieces of chicken when I ordered tofu). Other than that the bowls are pretty good.
Macey M — Google review
$15 for a plain ceasar salad!!! Our office ordered a few dozen salads for a meeting and while the quality of the food is outstanding, the portions of everything IN the salads was hugely disappointing. After reading many of the reviews and their responses, it's pretty apparent the portions aren't going to change. The chicken ceasar salads contained the equivalent of a tablespoon of chicken at the most. The bowls were predominantly chopped kale. The portion of dressing was infinitesimaly tiny for the amount of greens. THANKS for the whole HALF slice of bread. I'm starting to wonder if Chopt and Jersey Mikes are affiliated somehow. I stopped eating at Jersey Mikes 4 years ago for this reason.
Ken — Google review
I get this place delivered for lunch 3 times a week. I love how fresh the ingredients taste and they always read the instruction notes. However today they didn’t put any sauce in my Caesar wrap and didn’t even give me any on the side when I specifically asked for heavy dressing. The Mexican Caesar salad also did not taste fresh at all. The chicken tasted like it was stored in the fridge for several days. I’m kinda disappointed since I’m such a loyal customer and order all the time.

Barbecue restaurant
Midwood Smokehouse is a popular barbecue joint in Charlotte, with multiple locations across the area. The restaurant's Texas-style brisket and burnt ends are slow-smoked using hickory logs for 24 hours, ensuring tender and flavorful meat. Renowned for its casual roadhouse atmosphere, it offers a variety of regional BBQ specialties served on plates and sandwiches. The menu also features must-try sides like bacon-wrapped jalapenos, mac n cheese, and collard greens.
When a place is this crowded on Saturday afternoon, you know it’s gonna be good! Portion size is huge! Prices are reasonable and this staff is amazing! Ask for Avery. Definitely get the pimento cheese fries! Out of this world good. With brisket or BBQ it’s enough for a meal.
Ashley W — Google review
Midwood Smokehouse really delivers if you’re craving barbecue. The ribs had a perfect smoky bark and came off the bone just right. The pulled pork was tender and full of flavor without being covered up in sauce. The sides were just as good with collard greens that had a nice tang, hush puppies that were crisp on the outside and soft inside, and beans that were hearty and rich. The sauces were fun to try but the meat stood on its own. They also have a great beer selection which makes it an even better spot to hang out. Portions are generous, the service is friendly, and it all feels like classic barbecue done right. I’ll definitely be back.
David B — Google review
Solid place to eat BBQ. I grew up in Kansas City, so I have an extremely high bar when it comes to BBQ. Midwood had absolutely INCREDIBLE pulled pork. While their sauces weren't my favorite (probably more to do with regional-preference than anything else), I did really enjoy the ribs and they were flavorful enough that you didn't really need sauce anyway. Would recommend Midwood!
Joseph P — Google review
service was great, their beer selection was pretty good especially for a bbq place. was in town and was craving some nice southern bbq, we really liked the hush puppies, bacon wrapped jalapeños and the ribs and sides. we came towards the tail end of them closing and were not sure if that’s why the rest of our meats were not as up to par. the service was great and the banana pudding at end made up for that
Thunder — Google review
I appreciated that people were waiting to get seated at Midwood. That let me know that the BBQ was going to be good. The wait was not long (~20 mins) on July 4th. The staff provided recommendations if you are trying to figure out what to eat. The food service is pretty quick too. I ended up ordering a bunch of appetizers! The cornbread was flavorful and seasoned (8.5/10). The wings were delicious (9/10). I recommend getting the crispy (fried) wings. Lastly, the nachos were a hit too (7.5/10). The portion sizes were great for sharing.
Ayana A — Google review
Was searching for a good burger near downtown and heard great things about this place. I ordered the Roadhouse burger and unfortunately the burger was dry and not med well and the tomato and lettuce was definitely old at 7pm. Soo disappointed. The banana pudding was great this the star.
Jewel M — Google review
Overall a very nice place for some BBQ. Would strongly recommend the brisket as it was moist and lean! It was really really good! As for the sides nothing crazy would recommend some different sides. But man the banana pudding, was sweet and a delicious dessert!
EsS R — Google review
I was visiting the Charlotte Area for a doctors appointment with me coming from VA. I have traveled through NC and never had the opportunity to try BBQ. So Tuesday I stumbled upon this restaurant and happy that I did! I couldn’t decide what I wanted to eat and the waitress suggested this $45 platter I believe it was. The platter I ordered came with ribs, brisket, pulled pork, 2 sides, house pickles, and hush puppies. Man it was more than enough to share because man I couldn’t eat that by myself. The brisket was nicely seasoned, moist, and had a great bark, ribs were fall off the bone tender, and the pork was nicely seasoned as well. The greens and mac n chz were both good. My only suggestion would be to have more sauces like a mustard base( if they had it, it wasn’t offered ) a sweeter BBQ sauce with brown sugar based or molasses, as the BBQ sauce that I was given was more on the tangier side. Outside of that I will most definitely be back when I come to my next appointment next month!

Italian restaurant
Mama Ricotta's is a warm and spacious Italian restaurant known for its traditional Italian cuisine and New Haven-style pizza. The restaurant offers a variety of affordable options, making it possible to enjoy a delicious meal without breaking the bank, especially during lunchtime. With a menu featuring authentic recipes passed down through generations, Mama Ricotta's serves up favorites like homemade ravioli and lasagna prepared just like grandma used to make.
Reserve a table - you won’t be disappointed! Extra large portions with reasonable pricing and delicious food. Wish they had this where we lived! We came here while visiting Charlotte for the first time and it was better than expected. Our server was awesome, management was very involved throughout our meal (checking to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves) and the food was phenomenal! You can order individually or family style, but the individual portions are large enough to share. Bring a big appetite and you will still take home leftovers. A true gem - highly recommend!

Pretty disappointing after reviews tout this as a great spot. We weren't impressed with ambiance, and we had air conditioning blowing directly on us as we were seated in an auxiliary room. The service was friendly but kept forgetting about us. 2 of 3 dishes were liaded with salt and just not enjoyable. Lasagna was good but cold. Portions are pretty big and definitely sharable. If you're into quantity over quality, you found your spot. Good value if you like salty food.

WOW. Awesome food and awesome restaurant! I had the braised short rib and my better half had a pasta with vodka sauce and meatballs. Some of the best Italian food we’ve had. Eric was our server and was super friendly and awesome, and Brian (manager maybe?) popped by a couple times as well to make sure everything was good. Felt like a true family owned place. Cannot recommend enough. 11/10!

absolutely delicious. i would eat here daily if i did not live 3 hours away! i will come to this restaurant every time i am in CLT. food is delicious. restaurant is nice, a little fancy. have not been able to try desserts as each meal is greatly sized & will leave you with leftovers. i added photos from my recent two visits. must try if you love italian! GF noodles available as well (although i didn't try the this visit)

I have been so impressed both times I have visited this restaurant! We live an hour and half from here, but my husband and I came here for the first time while on our anniversary weekend. We were so impressed with everything! The food was delicious and portions were large too! Today we were back in Charlotte visiting my grandma in the hospital & decided to get out and walk around & ended up at Mama Ricottas. A man came by the table (i assume it was the manager, but I didn’t catch his name) and saw our hospital badges. He kindly asked about the situation and offered a meal to bring back for my grandma. She had already eaten, so we chose to get her a slice of chocolate cake instead. It was HUGE! It was such a kind gesture & we really felt the sincerity of his concern! Both times I have been here the servers have been incredibly helpful and kind as well! We will continue to recommend this restaurant to others for sure!

We went for dinner, we order muscles and meatballs with mozzarella cheese. For dinner we ordered vodka penne pasta, veal with mushrooms and over pasta and the special grouper with risotto and asparagus. The food tasted very fresh and the portions were big and generous. The service was great, our server was very attentative to our needs. Thank you Mama Ricotta's

BY FAR the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever dined at. Everything we ordered tasted AMAZING. I was blown away by how delicious it was, truly. It’s not an expensive place either! The atmosphere is great, servers are so kind and welcoming, and my goodness…the food. So so so good. I will be making special trips to Charlotte just to eat there!!

Dinner with out of state family and heard it was excellent. Six of us. The staff is professional and friendly. Our waiter checked on us. It was cold when we first went in. The manager came over and said he was attempting to correct it. It got more tolerable with time.( i always take a jacket to restaurants) The bread is excellent. Beware the oil for bread is spicy. We did family choices - spaghetti n meatballs and rigitoni. Meatballs were the best we've had out. I like my food piping hot. I assume as they are so busy it's a difficult feat. The desserts are huge. We had chocolate cake/ tiramsu?/bread pudding. I'm not a fan of bread pudding but it was amazing as was the tiramusi. Note the fruit on the bread pudding is raisins not berries as I thought it would be. It's a drive for us but sure we'd return. Cocktails are limited. They were ok. I assume they are known for food not drinks. Make a reservation. Absolutely a must to try.

Pinky's Westside Grill is a local American chain in Charlotte known for its casual, offbeat space and delicious food. It's a popular spot to dine like a local, offering some of the best burgers in town, along with fried pickles and Cheerwine pound cake for dessert.
We ate at Pinky’s based on the good reviews and we’re not disappointed. The service was literally the best I have ever seen. Although you may have a waiter assigned to your table, if any other waiter sees a need… they just jump in and handle it with a smile. Service is wicked fast. We liked the pimp n fries and the white trash burger best. They also had a nice selection of drinks and draft beer. It was a great meal overall. We’ll definitely be back.

Another Uber Eats from: Pinky’s Westside Grill. Absolutely recommend their food! As you can see, I tried a variety of items. Everything was excellent. I have to admit one of my favorites - other than the shrimp - was definitely the crab hush puppies! If you do the onion straws, it’s probably best eating them fresh on site so that they are crispy. They were understandably softer, but the flavor was good. Rueben Dog, Falafel, Skrimpz, White Trash Burger. Highly recommend giving them a try.

Pinky's Grill was good. The burgers were on point!! I had a double patty (no smash burgers here) with FRESH jalapeños ketchup & mayo. I saved 1 patty and bun for later as it was enough for 2 meals and the fresh cut waffle fries were crispy. The drink menu not my favorite as I prefer bar drinks not ready-made pour cocktails. I requested Tequlia sunshine & it was juicy!! My daughter has a Shirley Temple with pretty halloween garnish with a Salmon ceaser salad wrap. Total meal was about $50 for drinks & meal.

Pinky’s Westside Grill ; Charlotte, NC When the hotel recommended Pinky’s Westside Grill; I expected a good meal ; what I found was an experience. This is where classic diner soul meets a playful; new wave spirit; a place alive with energy and color. Inside; about 50–60 guests can settle in under the hum of conversation and laughter. Step outside; and 20–30 more seats wait beneath six whirling ceiling fans that chase away the Carolina heat; replacing it with the gentle coolness of an early autumn evening. The menu reads like a comedy act you can eat; with names like The Jive Turkey and White Trash daring you to order just for the story you’ll tell later. I couldn’t resist the Painkiller ; a drink spun from coconut and pineapple ; smooth, sweet, and as refreshing as a breeze off the coast. Pinky’s hums with life on a Friday night; the backdrop of 80s and 90s tunes adding to the easy rhythm of the evening. Friends gather over burgers; families share plates; and newcomers ; like me ; feel instantly folded into the mix. I arrived by Uber; but spotted room for about 10–15 cars for those driving in. The staff greeted me with warmth; the waitress moving with a perfect balance of efficiency and charm; never missing a beat. If you want a place where the food has personality; the air carries a pulse; and the night feels young no matter your age; Pinky’s Westside Grill is calling your name. Two thumbs up; and a smile that lasts long after you’ve left.

A nice bit of down to earth fun and nostalgia with good food, large drink menu and friendly clientele. As recommended by Luis, I had the special tacos, which today were ancho BBQ chicken tacos. The flavor was powerful and delicious. Multiple napkins were needed and worth it. They were quite busy for late afternoon but the wait for food wasn't too bad. The staff was courteous but moving around at a fast pace and trying to keep up with the demand so don't expect a lot of chit chat. The beer menu and drink options were vast and well priced. I ended up having good conversations with other patrons and everyone was welcoming and laid back. I recommend for friends that want to have a meal with great food and drinks that doesn't break the bank and great atmosphere.

Fabulous spicy Bloody Mary. The burger was amazing. The corn dog battered fried skrimps were incredible. You HAVE to get their waffle fries with pimento cheese on top. Everything was awesome! Great service, as well!

This place has two locations. I went to the one near the west side of Charlotte. First off discounts,, military ID 10% 33% in uniform for like some of the first responders. This restaurant gives you like an island vibe. They do serve mixed 🍹 drinks, although I didn’t have one. My friend got a salad with chicken on it and crispy fried onions. It was like the freaking best! I do recommend it. I got the steak sub with mushrooms. I would give it a 6 out of 10. It was cooked great and looked good but didn’t have much flavor at all. I probably wouldn’t order it again. I also tried the fried shrimp. It was fried perfectly but again it lacked flavor also,,(to me.)The restaurant has a nice vibe to it. I would suggest anyone to try it. I can see a nice time could be had here. They have an outside deck and inside and outside bar. I met the manager by the name of Analie. She was a kind warm person. Parking could be kind of difficult in this area, but they did say it was a parking lot on the side of the restaurant this kind of hidden, but it also is free.

Amazing burger! I got the mammoth Ding dong burger and pimpin fries and couldn't even finish it. Service was phenomenal, no table is set f9r 1 wait staff, if someone was on the clock and passed me they made sure I was good. Drink never ran empty. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Paco's Tacos and Tequila is a vibrant Tex-Mex eatery in Charlotte, founded by local restaurant legend Frank Scibelli. The bar boasts an impressive selection of over 100 tequilas, along with wines and beers from Texas, Mexico, and North Carolina.
We’ve been fans of this place since 2020. Mexican food here is fantastic—always fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The service is consistently great, and their margaritas are a personal favorite. Highly recommend trying the Rusty El Camino. So good! We recently celebrated my birthday and the waitress surprised me with a slice of cake and a candle—such a sweet gesture.

Tilley and Leo took very good care of my Wife and I. I had tacos and my Wife had Enchiladas. Leo made us a wonderful Guacamole appetizer at the table and he as super nice and it was excellent. Tilley was knowledgeable about the menu and guided us toward excellent dishes. Was it more than TACO BELL? Heck yes, but I don't go to Taco Bell for the service we received AND you can't get from TB what we got at Paco's. We had a super time and are going back. It's the best kept secret of the Southpark area.

We found Paco's Taco's when we stayed at the Marriott right behind it. At first it was a convenient place to eat, now, when we're in town we go out of our way to come here. The food is great, the atmosphere is upbeat and the waitstaff is first rate. Eat here with confidence the enjoy the rest of the South Park area.

Great food and service. Everything was fresh and delicious. The chips were fresh and the salsa was great. The server was very friendly and helpful. I will be going back for sure.

The service and atmosphere was amazing. Great chips and salsa, my steak tacos was flavorful and tender, I'm not a huge beans fan and my husband loved his food and while rice wasn't my favorite, my hubby loved it. I would rate overall 4.5 stars. I would definitely return, and their tequila collection is very impressive (over 200+)

Worth the wait! Came in on a Tuesday to a 20 minute wait for 1 person. Waiting in the humid summer heat was well worth it. From the moment I sat down my server was personable and attentive. (Shout out to Elise! She rocked my socks off!) She made the excellent recommendation of the pineapple mint margarita if you’re going for a mocktail, and it was refreshing and tasty! I had a snacky dinner of chips, chili con queso with ground beef, and refried beans. All of it was flavorful and filling! Overall, 10/10 experience in service and food. Lively atmosphere, but not too loud. Will definitely be back if I’m ever in the area again!
Kate M — Google review
My son's love this place, the guacamole is freshly made at your table and is very good. my wife said the burrito was very good. Had the small chopped salad and is was delicious. I wish they had a couple of vegetarian options aside from veggie fajitas or cheese enchiladas. Maybe chile relleno or black bean tacos.
Mike D — Google review
I don't get the reviews for this place either but maybe I went on an off night for them. Our waitress was super nice. Margaritas we're great. Free chips & salsa we're good. Those reasons alone are worth going if you want some margs!! But.. Queso reminds me of Moe's and kraft cheese. I did the 3 tacos - al pastor, skirt steak, and chicken tinga. Al pastor was the best but not by much. The other two just lacked and we're soggy like I picked up the tacos and juice was pouring out of them. I didn't care for the rice or refried beans like it was leaving a bitter/bland taste. The coleslaw was not shredded like huge chunks. Idk. I really don't like sharing bad reviews.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is a delightful chain restaurant that offers an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of an upscale lodge. Nestled in various locations, including Birkdale Village, it specializes in serving mouthwatering steaks and fresh seafood, complemented by a selection of expertly crafted cocktails. The unique cooking method over open wood flames imparts a distinct flavor to the dishes, making each bite truly memorable.
I got to this restaurant pretty early in the day day around 3, so there was plenty of seating when i arrived. I LOVE FIREBIRDS so i wanted to grab the salmon(the L is silent y'all, don't start that bs!!) With the lobster fondue. The food was good it just could have been a tad bit better. I say a tad bit better because the lobster fondue wasn't hot enough or of its normal consistency. The staff was pretty great, we were greeted immediately and the staff was super welcoming. The restaurant was very clean and the vibes were vibing. So lagooglers, i would definitely try them out if you're in the north lake mall area!!!! Oo i almost forgot guys!!! ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS grab you a double black martini because OMG they ferment toast pineapples for 21 days babiiiii. And though I'm not much of a drinker very much a social drinker I LOVE the double black martini. by two I'm boomin and bangin and servin all the yaaayyyy 😅🤣🤣

This was my first visit to Firebirds. I was surprised to find out it was a chain. Now that being said, I was extremely surprised how good everything was. I got the 12 oz Ribeye, and it was excellent. Very tender and cooked to perfection. The Potatoes were very good and the best part was that there were no skins in them. The BLT Salad was great. The Creme Brulee Cheesecake was awesome and hit the spot.

Visiting a friend and we went to Firebird for dinner at the Northlake Mall. It was my time experience, friendly host who assisted us to the table ( booth as we requested when we reserve ahead of time. ) As soon we were seated the waitress came over and asked what's our drinks desired then she asked what we like to order. Let's be mindful we just arrived can we get a few minutes to look the menu before taking someone orders. The restaurant is very pricey so make sure you have enough money. Later, I ordered salmon Baked potatoes and fresh fruits and my friend order chicken broccoli and rice with tomatoes toppings. The food was delicious and divine and I will return next I am in the area of Charlotte NC.

Seating was prompt. Employees were lovely. Steak was absolutely amazing, mashed potatoes were great. The phlly egg rolls came topped with a sweet and sour sauce that was different and delicious. Ahi tuna superfood salad was to die for. Great dressing. Melt in your mouth, perfectly peppered and seared tuna If only I had remembered to take pictures before we started eating for the full portion on salad.

My husband and I visited for dinner on 8/13/25 to celebrate my new job and me making more money to longer work for a doucebag (God is great!). Charles was our server and he was fantastic! He told us about the $7.95 Double Diamond drinks all day! We each had 2 whereas normally we drink at home because I refuse to pay $15 for a sprinkle of liquor in a tiny glass filled with ice. My go to entree is the garlic sirloin with tempura shrimp and au gratin potatoes and it did not disappoint. Will be back next Wednesday for more discounted Double Diamonds! Food and drink were great and made our celebration even better!

I visited this location with my twin sister for our birthday. Of course the food was great as always, but Miss Keisha was absolutely AMAZINGGGG!!! She was the best server I’ve ever had in my life. No exaggeration. She was so sweet and personable. She made sure we enjoyed everything. She has such a beautiful spirit. I’d come back just for her! She even brought us a surprise dessert and a birthday card with the staff signatures on it. Thank you so much Miss Keisha for making our birthday dinner so special!

Such a cute place. The gnocchi & bread pudding were light & pillowy. The scallops were not overdone. The Paloma was perfect. Server was attentive. Needed to request bread to mop up all the sauces. Couldn't waste a morsel!

I went on a Sunday, they were serving all you can eat buffet on this day, however we were able to order waffles and French toast so they will be hot and fresh, they were both good. Overall the food was great! My friends enjoyed everything, especially the shrimp and grits. The grits were tasty, I would go again, I am interested in trying their non-buffet menu. The only thing I would say is there needs to be better maintenance on keeping the area clean, the area that is against the wall where the buffet is, had dried caked up food, also to keep the hand sanitizer nearby full and available, there was a gentleman who I watched blow his nose at the bar and walked right over to the buffet to get food, it did turn my stomach. Overall we had a good experience our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable.

So I had heard great things about this place. We went here for the for the brunch!! Everything was delicious..I highly recommend the brisket and the shrimp and grits. Now while everything was great..they definitely missed the mark on variety. We had a friend with us that that didn't eat pork..and they had no substitutes like turkey bacon or sausages. Things to note...they do have some items that you have to order ala carte to your table like pancakes and French toast etc. Other than not having alot of options. The service and the restaurant was nice. It is a little cramped price included a mimosa!!

Love this place. It was such a nice surprise to have the 3 course meal option for Halloween weekend. My filet was cooked perfectly, and the bourbon brioche bread pudding was fantastic. Our servers were attentive and the staff was friendly. The atmosphere and vibe were casual and chill. Constructive feedback, was that my stuffed pepadew app was small (but delicious), 5 instead of 3, would have been perfect. And the mocktails were 8 bucks, with no alcohol. Lame. But we'll be back, food and service were what we had hoped for.

First time coming for brunch. Food was ok, bacon tasty chicken fried rice really salty. Potatoes seasoned very well. Would not get brisket or macaroni and cheese again. Bellini was really strong and good, just wished they sold them by the pitcher.

This was the very first restaurant I had ever come to when I visited Charlotte. I am a lambchop fanatic and to know they have very affordable menu options is so attractive. Their brunch is amazing (GET THE FRENCH TOAST) and the waitstaff is always amazing. I ordered a drink this evening that I had never had and it had habanero in it and bc it was too spicy my waitress and bartender were helpful in making it drinkable for me. I had the fried brussels and devoured the lamb immediately. This is always a fave of mine. I recommend. Highly. Also the manager is always very friendly to me…ALWAYS. We spoke once due to me planning a vacation to Sosua and I haven’t forgotten him or him me…he is amazing. 🥰🥰 So i tried to do a new review but I will continue from this one I did 4 months ago. Today is 7.23.23 and I decided to have brunch this am to celebrate my birthday. The manager was always welcoming as usual and i sat at the bar with my friends this visit. Ally was the bartender and admitted she was new and I allowed her to experiment and create a drink for me, as I prefer coconut rum. She made an amazing drink for me and brunch was amazing as usual! I always recommend this restaurant. So this past Friday night…me and my bestie decided to have dinner here…as she had never experienced their dinner menu. WAS NOT disappointed. I had my usual lamb chops medium well and roasted brussels. Friend tried their Branzoni sea bass. OMG. If i could get over my obsession with lamb this would be my new favorite dish. Cous cous, artichokes, the flavors were just amazing. Never have I ever had a fish prepared like this. #chefskiss…and Thomas’ (the manager) showed out with his customer service per the usual. Im never disappointed when I come. I would be surprised if anyone does not agree. And the drinks were great too 🥰 Because we were some of the last customers of the night we ordered dessert but was treated to a sampler of them all. Top Tier I tell u!!!

Bistro La Bon is a true gem! The air, ambiance, and seating is wonderful. Chic and elegant, rustic and contemporary. It just feels really nice—dressed up or down! The waitstaff is warm and their energy is comfy. Allie is a wonderful bartender who can craft crisp cocktails! The food is delicious! I’ve been on 2 occasions (both during brunch hours) and thoroughly enjoyed my meals. On Sunday, there is a brunch buffet. Sweet and or savory…but I say, choose a little of both! Bistro La Bon has some of the best French toast! For Saturday brunch I enjoyed the Italian Panini, and Belgian waffles. Both were large portions and well worth the cost! The panini is beautifully layered and the bread has a perfect crunch. The waffles were good and plenty. For Sunday brunch I tried a number of items. The buffet is diverse, offering items including fresh fruit, brisket, pasta salad, cheesy grits, and other pairings like mozzarella, tomato and cucumbers. My absolute favorites were the pasta salad, the brisket (it literally MELTS on contact), the shrimp and grits and the fruit. The strawberry limoncello is tasty and cute! The manager Anthony is a delight! His hospitality will made me come back for sure. If you’re seeing this, it is your sign to try Bistro La Bon. Maybe I’ll see you at dinner 🥂

Was our first time going to this restaurant and we were pleased with the service and with our food. We got the lamb meatballs, caesar salad, seafood mac n cheese, and duck. It all tasted great, can't go wrong with any of it. My wife got an Elderberry Mule and it was really good, and I'm not a huge drinker either but we both enjoyed it. Definitely recommend for a nice night out.

The Mad Greek of Charlotte is a family-owned restaurant that has been serving authentic and affordable Greek cuisine since 1991. Located on South Boulevard, this hidden gem offers traditional Greek dishes as well as classic American breakfasts and burgers. The menu includes pita sandwiches like gyro, chicken, and pork souvlaki served with fries, Greek salads, Mediterranean bowls, and daily specials such as chicken or pork souvlaki dinner.
We've been coming here for a few years now and the food has always been great. The service was ok and so was the atmosphere. Recently new owners/management have taken over and it shows. The atmosphere is much friendlier and professional with an emphasis on the customer and comfort (no loud TV, wait staff playing games and acting like children, strange "gatherings" on the patio outside). The food is still great and we look forward to continuing eating here and seeing how the get continue to improve.

I’ve spent time in Greece, and the mass Greek has by far the most authentic gyros I’ve ever had outside of Thessaloniki. Have one and you’ll be a believer. Greek ambiance on the patio as well; just hang out, enjoy a futbal game, smoke a cigi. It has that Mediterranean vibe. Best Greek restaurant in town.

The Mad Greek is one of our favorite spots — we come back often because the food and service are always wonderful. Our server, Marco, was especially kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. The cheesecake baklava was absolutely incredible — truly one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. We also love eating outside on the newly renovated deck, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Fantastic Greek food at an extremely affordable price! We were staying in a hotel nearby and came for dinner. What a terrific place. We both got the chicken souvlaki dinners. Delicious! Rice, pita, chicken, nicely caramelized onions and peppers, homemade shoestring fries and a generous side salad. You can add their homemade hummus instead of fries. We would be regulars if we were local to Charlotte. Highly recommend!

Food and service were amazing. We started with the Moussaka and it was spot on and very tasty. My wife had the chicken skewers and I had the pork souvlaki again both amazing. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

Greek at its Best! Amazing authentic Greek food and beer done very well with great people. Gus has made me a huge fan of Greek food again! I had the Grecian Chicken Pita Sandwich with a Greek salad and I was surprised at how the flavors blended together and the quality of the meat made the sandwich so delectable. Alex gave great recommendations and the Mythos beer topped it off with a solid finish. There were many desserts to chose from as well. The staff was professional and very friendly, making it feel like a true family place with great food and even better memories. I am looking forward to coming back again.

This place is so incredibly outstanding. My husband and I are on a bit of a Greek food high after going to an other Greek spot nearby. We recently moved to this area & decided to check it out! We’ve been here twice now and both times were fantastic. The first time, I ordered a side Greek salad with Greek fries. Both were tasty. The second time, I ordered the Grecian veggie pita & my husband ordered the Grecian chicken pita, and OMG we were blown away. The pitas were mouthwatering delicious as were the fries that came with it. The service is sooo quick & everyone is so friendly! We will be back for sure!!

Thr Mad Greek is like a Athens Street food place, just more American. The menu is good sized, but has all your typical American/Greek Faire. The Gyro with the Pork, not the pork souvlaki(chunks) is pretty authentic to Greek as we dont do lamb/beef cone in Greece, we do pork. Taste was good, a little over cooked, but cool. I wish they did it more Greek Street style with Tomatoe, fries, meat, taziki, and feta and Pita and call it a day. The salad was really good, large cubes chicken, great dressing, and good portion Everything was GOOD...but not GREAT. As a Malaka ellinika myself, I just have higher standards. Definitely a good place though, just not Chicago/NY/NJ style greek/american.

Both restaurants have unique atmospheres with delicious food that can appeal to anyone. Fern offers smaller menus than some other vegan restaurants, but the flavor is great. Flavors from the Garden is known for its mouthwatering vegan dishes, and both restaurants are perfect for casual dining or special occasions.
Yum! We met some friends here for dinner and enjoyed everything! The Buffalo cauliflower was delicious. I had the eggplant parm. It was amazing and bonus points that it was gluten-free. They have lots to choose from, and you wouldn't even know it was all vegan.

Update: I'm so sad to hear they are closing!!! It's been quite a pleasure to dine here! I loved that it was packed with people today! Maybe you can come back one day. I've been here a ton of times. Usually, there are one or two staff people who seem really friendly and a couple who seem to always be having a bad day. I like the atmosphere. Inside and out, quite the experience. The food is good enough for me to keep coming back. I recommend the chickn & waffles and the butterfly lemonade. The mocktails are delicious! Parking is very tight and usually hard to get back onto the street because of such busy traffic.

Fern, Flavors of the Garden was an absolute delight! From the time we seat down the waitress was attentive. She constantly ask if our food was okay. She apologized for the time it took to prepare the food. The drinks arrived to the table quickly. The quality of this food definitely was amazing. Every bite had flavor and you would have never guessed any of these meals were vegetarian and/or vegan. Pricing was fair considering inflation at this current time. This place is on the smaller size seating wise; so do yourself a favor and make reservations. Other than that, this establishment is worth every penny spent and your time. Even if you're a meat eater.

I was satisfied with this place before I even arrived. I hyped myself up so much from the instagram photos. It was WORTH IT! Best vegan restaurant in CLT hands down. My husband and I came here and were not disappointed. Usually appetizers are all portions. Not here. Portion size is good. We ordered the daily special sushi and buffalo cauliflower wings. For entreé we had Korean sandwich and Zo Boy. We had mocktails. Lemonade and Nomosa. Flavor hittin'!!!!! Alex (executive chef) know what he doing!!! I know where I'll be going broke this summer!

We went for brunch today and the new GM Ann is gone. So sad. Not sure how it is going to effect the place. They were short staffed. Not batting 1000 today. Met the owner, seemed nice. They were trying hard. We shall see…

Really good breakfast/brunch today at Fern. I've been wanting to come here for a few years and finally made it today for a brunch. I got the plant based chorizo wrap and potatoes and it was very good! Large portion; had to take half home. Good coffee too and warm environment. Smaller than I thought it would be inside, so I could see how it gets busy fast. Recommend for a special treat or anytime for creative vegan food!

Customshop is a modern, rustic-chic restaurant offering New American cuisine with European influences and an extensive global wine selection. Founded by Charlotte native chef Trey Wilson, the establishment prides itself on serving handcrafted traditional and contemporary dishes inspired by French, Italian, and Spanish culinary traditions. The restaurant's commitment to quality is evident in its use of homegrown vegetables and herbs from its own garden, house-made pasta, and an impressive charcuterie bar featuring an antique fly wheel slicer.
We visited this restaurant to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and overall, it was a great experience. The service was excellent—our waiter was polite, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy, though it does get busy here. We tried all the crudos and pastas, and everything was delicious. Our favorites were the main courses—the fish was excellent, and the duck was perfectly cooked. I also ordered a flan, which was exceptional. The only minor comment I have is that I wish they had brought a candle with the dessert, as I had mentioned in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration.

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Custom Shop! From start to finish, everything was impeccable. Zoe, our bartender and waitress, provided excellent service . We tried a variety of dishes: bruschetta, duck empanadas, pork belly, bass, and the ravioli, and every single item was exquisite. Each dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. We also ended the night with a coffee martini, which was the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable meal. Custom Shop truly delivered a delightful culinary experience. Highly recommend both for the food and the outstanding service!

Amazing experience. Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique dining experience with a curated menu that boost excellent fusion of international flavors with strong execution. Having lived in Chicago and in Europe, this place really impressed me in terms of flavors and execution. The vibe is cool and service is superb. Nice cocktail menu as well. We loved all the dishes we ordered so the recommendation is in no particular order, but in my opinion you must get one of the dishes from the crudo section - we got the shrimp one, which is acidic, refreshing, with some heat and nice touch of crunchy puff rice. Small plate - can’t go wrong with the shishito peppers and fingerlings, both simple dishes but was amazingly well done with nice balance of flavors and addicting sauces that keep you coming back for more spoonfuls. We went with two pastas to share, it was a great decision because we couldn’t pick which pasta was our favorite. The canestri with pork ragu was delicious with the pasta cooked to perfection with a nice pork ragu that’s meaty but not heavy, garlicky and savory, very satiating. The squid ink pasta was absolutely delicious with pasta perfectly prepared that’s tangy and delicious with chorizo and shrimp. We had no room for desert unfortunately. I’m looking forward to coming back next time and trying the rest of the menu!

We sat at the bar and had a lovely experience. The bartender was wonderful - she shared her favorite dishes, and we loved them all, especially the mussels. We felt so welcomed.

Has been, and continues to be my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. The food is always fantastic, the service friendly and top notch (special shout out to the bartender Lily for the flan recommendation!). It gets a bit loud when it's full, but otherwise a pleasant atmosphere. And the wine list is always great. It's hard to beat for the price.
Nicki G — Google review
Outstanding food and service. Flavors are bright and powerful. The duck, empanadas, pastas, and flan are the must-order dishes.

Absolutely spectacular dinner. Everything was top notch. We had shrimp appetizer, beef tartar to start. Entrée were duck and sea bass. Dessert chocolate tart and flan. Accompanied by several delicious wines. Best dinner in Charlotte.

You know what truly sets a restaurant apart from all the others? The service. You can have the best food in the world, but if the service is bad, that’s what you’ll remember most. Well, at Customshop, everything is top-notch… both the service and the food. 💛 Last year, I went there for my anniversary with my boyfriend, and it was so special that we decided to make it a tradition. This year, we went back. There was a small mix-up with our order and the food came a bit later, but instead of leaving us frustrated, the team went above and beyond to make it right. The service was exceptional, and when the food arrived… wow. I honestly can’t even put into words how good it was. I’m so grateful to have this gem here in Charlotte. Their dishes are always fresh, made with ingredients from local farms, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely cares about your experience. I’ve already recommended Customshop to friends and will keep doing it forever. Amazing food, amazing people, amazing atmosphere. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Mediterranean restaurant
YAFO Kitchen is a casual eatery that serves classic Mediterranean dishes made from sustainably sourced ingredients. The restaurant offers a diverse menu, including Easter and Passover specials such as red wine brisket, lamb shanks, pomegranate and honey roasted chicken, along with signature sides like Shai's brussels and Greek yogurt mac and cheese. Customers can order online for pickup at the Dilworth location.
Most excellent! First time, busy at 2pm on a Saturday and staff was attentive to my questions and helped me through the process of making my own bowl. So many good things to choose from, and enjoyed every single bite. Also enjoyed the beef / pita dish, and tasting my daughters bowl that was distinctly different and sweeter. Easy walk from hotel and next to Barnes and Nobles.

I went here on a recommendation by my daughter. And I will say that I give it a thumbs up. The food was very good. I had the pita bread with cucumbers, tomatoes, onions tzatziki sauce, chickpeas, and chicken. I had the macaroni and cheese I really enjoyed it.. My husband got the same thing except he had fries and he enjoyed it as well. I like the seating that they had available outside and inside I will definitely be back to visit.

Incredible team here! This was my first time but they were very helpful with guiding me. The food was hot and fresh! I wish the bathroom had paper towels and not only the air dryer, but everything else outweighed that. The atmosphere was nice. I recommend Yafo for sure.

The best healthy lunch I’ve had. The combination of flavors make it so good. The colors in the food make it more attractive to eat. And the portion size is huge. It’s so healthy and appealing. Every time I get a chance to eat it I will. Flavors are so rich and it never disappoints

Stopped by YAFO Kitchen and tried the Hot Israeli Chicken with chickpeas. The chicken had a great balance of spice and flavor, with a nice crispy texture. The chickpeas were well-seasoned and added a hearty, satisfying element to the meal. Everything tasted fresh, and the portion was solid. If you’re looking for a flavorful Mediterranean-style meal with a kick, this is a great spot to check out. Would definitely go back to try more.

Went here to get a quick pick up lunch. Not one single person greeted me or the woman next to me and we were the only ones in line. An older employee was obviously struggling with an order and no one helped her out. I felt sorry for her. the other employees (one I learned was the manager)- were more interested in giving each other high fives than talking to the customers and completely ignored us. I finally had to ask if this was where we ordered as I have never been here. . I felt sorry for the older lady and one employee finally helped her (the manager ignored her and didn’t do anything). When I asked the difference in the chicken the “manager” didn’t even respond but took the ladle out and showed me each like it was a huge hassle for him - speaking down to me the entire time like “this is this chicken- this is that”- arrogant jerk. horrible customer service- not helping his employees or the customers. Food was great- service sucked. Manager needs to go to a training class.
Julia W — Google review
The food is amazing, the staff was polite but I felt rushed. I didn't like what I ordered, avocado kale chicken bowl only because it was chicken salad and I assumed it would be grilled chicken. It seemed to happen so fast (as I was staring at all of the options) so I didn't want to make a fuss about it. I felt like all of the ingredients by themselves was really well made. And the peta bread and hummus was so good I may never get grocery store hummus again!!! Fresh real food! God bless!

I have been thinking of leaving this review about my experience last Friday, September 5. The workers are rude who threw it together like slop and have no clue how to interact with customers let alone people in general probably. There is a previous review on here about them acting like it was a prison and this is accurate. When asking for extra spreads, sauces on side etc it was an issue. Even when I said I would pay extra. They said I could only have one inside my meal, okay that’s weird, and only proceeded to give me another on the side when I said I’d pay. Which is fine but it was unnecessary the way they communicated. What they should have said if they had some training is “Sometimes it gets too full with more than one spread but we’d love to get you another one on the side.” Not look at me like I was asking them something obscene like I’m crazy. My meal came with a side, but I asked to purchase an extra side of Mac and cheese at the end (which is where they are at anyways and the last thing they do too) and was looked at like I was crazy. I proceeded to try and make conversation to lighten the mood that I was thinking in my head that my son would probably like to try it after school. The worker just looked at me with no reply, threw the Mac and cheese together (again like slop and they hate their life) and told me my total. I was not offered if I’d like to purchase a beverage. I paid and left wondering why I thought this restaurant would be a good idea for lunch. Will not return and will tell people to avoid. Any Cava location is better than this.

Sabor Latin Street Grill is a popular counter-serve restaurant known for its classic Mexican dishes and margaritas. With eight locations in Charlotte, it's easy to satisfy your Taco Tuesday cravings without breaking the bank. The weekly special offers tacos autenticos for $1.49 each, filled with various options like chicken, beef, black beans or veggies.
Love this place! Sabor has a lot of locations. Top 5 fast casual spot. Staff is professional and nice. You order at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. I recommend you get the $5 combo, add queso, chips and drink.

Taco Tuesday for the win!! I'm not saying they're the best tacos I've ever had but they are my go to tacos every Tuesday with my kids. Al pastor on corn tortillas with chips and queso... make sure you grab some pineapple salsa then sit back and enjoy a small bite of heaven. If you've never been, you should go.

We asked for nachos to go and still had to drive to my college to eat it, so we asked for the toppings on the side. We figured it would be in separate little cups, as any restaurant would do. Instead we get to my college to see this slop, it is quite literally bean soup. As a picky vegetarian who is sharing this with somebody else who has a different palette, I am not able to eat this because it is mixed with food I cannot eat. It is cold since even the sour cream was mixed in with the “hot” ingredients. After a long day of school I am still starving and I paid 12 dollars for this. I loved savors nachos but putting every thing together in one bowl is honestly idiotic at best.

This was not my first Sabor experience. Admittedly I came in with somewhat low expectations after my last experience at a different location. However, all that quickly went out the window. Our order was prepared quickly and exactly as requested. The food was delivered hot. Everything was very flavorful. There were no issues at all. As such, I now have a more positive outlook about the chain and would have no problem visiting again in the future!

I've been wanting to try this place. Finally ate a late lunch. Had the Charlotte's favorite fries...they were so good! The steak on them was spiced and blended great with the cheese, sour cream, guacamole and whatever else the threw on there...it filled me up...my daughter got a chicken empanada with a side of chips and salsa...had to test that too...very good! The place itself is small but they were doing a lot of carry out I noticed.

Great tomato bisque. Loaded chicken salad was good but I was expecting it to be more flavorful. Cappuccino was delicious. GREAT spot to sit and work or have a one to one meeting. Easy parking. Will be back.

2022 Update: Covid and construction has really put a damper on the offerings from Mayobird. They moved to a pickup window location and have cut out all hot dishes. I hope they are able to set up in a full location again soon but for now be aware that the ancho ranch dipping sauce, soups, and any other hot offerings they used to have are not available (really missing the chicken salad melt!) BUT the chicken salads they sell are still the best anywhere. 2018: Love this place and so glad they have this location! I’m not a fan of chicken salad, normally, but I really love the Real Dill and the Loaded and the boyfriend loves the Buffalo. Also - THEY HAVE THE GOOD ICE!! Give them a try even if you don’t usually like chicken salad because it’s much better than ordinary chicken salad!

We got this as a choice for work lunch one day and wow! So good! One of the best chicken salad sandwiches I’ve had! I got the harvest one. Has grapes & walnuts. Yum. Great flavor, nice & whipped consistency. I’ll be going again for sure! Simple menu, but don’t be deceived, it’s delicious if you love chicken salad. Several of the employees are entitled rude . My crew was restoring the apartment's power across the street and it was 98 degrees that day. My guys went in and got a drink & sandwich. The register had a option for a tip ( to tip the cashier for ringing up a few things), apparently one of my guys didn't pay a tip and she chased them out into the parking lot cussing and treating them like scum.. we was still working the following day ( haven't went home yet and going on 27 hours without sleep or rest ), and it happened a 2nd time when they went for another Gatorade and sandwich, this time 2 employees pulled the same crap..I also believe they are the one who called the news crew out about us leaving the apartments without power ( we was fixing/ replacing the bad underground power line that burned up, and we was going the best we could under the conditions). I don't recommend this place unless you like paying a tip for someone to do their job, because you probably want enjoy outcome if you don't tip

Truly the best deli in all of Charlotte!! Best prices, diverse menu, great service and live music or DJ most nights of the week…I mean who could ask for more?? Well being plant-based, I could ask for vegan food and, bonus, they have so many vegan options for being a deli. Even have one of the best vegan breakfast burritos I’ve ever had and for an unbeatable price!! Thank you Rhino for being the best neighborhood spot to hang pretty much any day or night. 🙌🏾

Good place to get a sandwich. If you come around lunch time expect a decent wait. They have a grand selection of beer, wine, and grab and go snacks. We tried the veggie sandwich and the bread was lackluster but the flavor of the vegetables inside was great! A more wholesome ciabatta with a crust would bring it next level.
Lex S — Google review
Awesome deli and market for a quick bite or drink! They offer drink and snack options not found many other places but also the usual drinks and snacks as well. The deli sandwich’s are very good! The rueben has tons of beef piled high to satisfy. The raw rhino sandwich is perfect for those who want a vegan option but also want to satisfy their hunger. The drinks are not typical drinks you can find, which is one of my favorite parts. I love the drink options they offer. I’m definitely a fan of the Rhino.

Nestled in Charlotte's NoDa neighborhood, McGill Rose Garden is a charming public garden boasting over 200 varieties of roses, an herb garden, and tranquil fountains. Once owned by philanthropist Henry McGill, the 1.3-acre garden has been open to the public since 1967 and is now managed by the City of Charlotte. With more than 1,000 rose bushes on display, this picturesque venue is a popular choice for weddings.
All of the roses were so beautiful, there are of course other flowers and really cool plant varieties. This is a great place to get a coffee chat, with friends, read, hang out & enjoy some shade. The coffee and wine shop right beside the garden has a bathroom inside and is a very lovely environment as well. I will definitely be back.

A very cute and peaceful small garden—perfect for enjoying lunch outdoors. There’s plenty of seating spread out across the area, so it doesn’t feel crowded even when it's busy. Parking can be a bit limited and tricky to find at first, but once you’re in, it’s well worth it. And almost forgot - dog friendly place! There’s also a small coffee shop and a restroom on-site, which is super convenient. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back!

Wow, this was our first time visiting this place and the food was amazing. They have fresh food and a store for to go items. We got lunch first and then we shopped their store section and got an entire meal for another day. Of course we had to get the Cannoli’s that they make fresh for you on the spot. I have only ever had great experiences with all the staff here they continue to be so friendly and authentic even when the place is packed and bumpin on Friday evenings. The Improper Pig @ Rea Farms is a popular spot known for its Carolina-style barbecue with unique twists. Featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, the restaurant maintains high quality and offers globally-inspired items alongside flavorful slow-cooked meats. The Rea Farms location provides a family-friendly atmosphere with a diverse kids menu and outdoor space for children to play while live music entertains guests on weekends.
The atmosphere and decor is what makes this location a super cool place to have a meal. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't to busy at all. The service was friendly and our waitress seemed genuinely happy to be working there. Relaxing environment. They are not to big on coffee however, they didn't have much creamer available and the coffee was served super strong, but that's not their speciality so give them a pass. Our selection included the Buttermilk Skillet and the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Both entrees were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. I could have used one additional slice of bacon with my pancake (they served two) and my partnered would have liked additional sauce on the Pulled Pork. They do offers a variety of different flavored sauces for one's desire. They have ample seating for larger parties and the outdoor terrace is also perfect for an afternoon brunch on the weekends. All around 4.5 stars. The waitresses smile and attitude makes up for their coffee shortfall, so let's just say they earned 5 stars IMO. Will return.

Wife and I stopped in for a quick bite on a Tuesday evening. We shared an appetizer and salad. We were seated immediately. Ordered the nachos with brisket, Ceasar salad and cheese grits. Everything came out together and quickly. Service was fantastic, getting me drink refills without asking. Overall a very good experience.

I like the fusion BBQ meals on the menu, although I feel you needed the sauce to really have flavor. The meats were very plain. The sides, however, were amazing. Decent sodas. A bit pricey but service was solid. This is a bit far for me to visit regularly, but enjoyed it overall. I'd recommend the hush puppy appetizer to share, anything with pickled onions, the sweet potato casserole, baked beans, and the mustard sauce as my favorites.

Pretty Good BBQ the house made salt and vinegar chips we’re suburb. Watch out for the Bao sliders they get soggy from the Asian slaw I think the slaw should come in a side bowl to prevent the bread sogginess. Service was excellent!

Chapter 6, a Mediterranean restaurant in South End, is the latest venture by local restaurateur Jon Dressler. The menu offers small elevated plates perfect for sharing with friends and enjoying on a nice date. Diners can expect quality food and service similar to Dressler's other restaurants. The flavors of each dish are truly Mediterranean, with surprising combinations that delight the palate. Notable recommendations include the skate wing, which melts like butter and is delicious.
Made a reservation on a Tuesday night and had one of the best meals I’ve ever had in Charlotte! The whipped Ricotta, Spicy Tuna Crudo, and Mushrooms were absolutely delicious and the highlights for me. We also had the rigatoni and the braised short rib and though tasty, they came second to the first three dishes. All the staff were attentive, energetic, and helpful. Flying in from New York, I had high expectations for my visit to Chapter 6 Mediterranean in Charlotte, and I’m happy to say this spot exceeded them all. Recommended to me by locals, this restaurant delivered on every level—from the ambiance to the service, food, and drinks. A special shoutout to our server, Ella, whose phenomenal service and vibrant personality made our dining experience even better. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a great time. As for the food—simply outstanding. Every dish, from our mains to the desserts, was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The drinks were equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meal. If you’re in Charlotte and craving Mediterranean cuisine, Chapter 6 is a must-visit. Top-tier in every way, and I’ll definitely be returning for another bite!

Gastronomic bliss! Exquisite cuisine, beautiful ambiance and impeccable service make Chapter 6 a very memorable dining experience! We selected "The Treatment" tasting menu and it was amazing! Every dish was on a world class level. (We look forward to trying everything on the menu). Our server Gaby was friendly, knowledgeable and reflective of what TRUE Mediterranean hospitality is all about. The ambiance only added to the perfection of Chapter 6. Kudos to the Chef, management and efficient service staff. I highly recommend this exceptional restaurant!

Amazing food. Very pleasant host and servers. Beautiful restaurant. Hats off to the outstating chefs!!! The roasted mushrooms were super delicious. The melted nduja with house bread and the roasted carrots were also amazing. The cheesecake is a must for dessert. The flavors in each dish are top notch and beautiful. A unique experience with a unique blend of ingredients. Great vibe for date night or plenty of room for group. Definitely recommend! We will be back for sure! Actually went back for breakfast and the French toast was out of sight

The service and atmosphere were excellent. It’s a great location on the light rail. Our server (Andrew) was outstanding. The food was pretty good but didn’t blow us away. Some good dishes and some others that were just so-so. If we come back it will be to try some of the other dishes on the menu. Roasted carrots: 4/5 Charred broccoli: 2/5 Verde chickpeas: 4/5 Butcher’s salad: 3/5 Gnocchi & lamb: 3/5 Melty Ndjua: 5/5

Brandon with Offline - I’ve been here multiple times and never have been disappointed. Their style is more for sharing so the way to do it is order multiple small plates and share. The short rib is phenomenal (tip: order a side of couscous with it). All of their sides are amazing - charred broccoli is my favorite. Definitely recommend starting with the whipped ricotta app. Anything you get, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Pictured - tuna crudo, Caesar salad, tagliatelle pasta.

The Treatment is absolutely the way to go. They customize it for preferences (e.g., vegetarian, no shrimp, etc.) and the service is just so warm that you feel right at home. I was surprised it wasn’t loud in the restaurant even with Sycamore right next door. The food was incredible. Every single thing was so flavorful. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Great vibe and even better service. We ordered ‘The Treatment,’ which is a shared tasting menu, highly recommend! Both the steak and the trout were absolutely delicious. A fantastic dining experience overall.

Crunch Bistro is a spot that offers fresh salads, wraps, and flatbreads to keep you satisfied without compromising your nutritional goals. The Morning Glory oatmeal bowl is a standout with its blend of quinoa, oatmeal, apples, cinnamon, cranberries, and almonds - perfect for a post-workout breakfast. While the prices are reasonable and the options plentiful, there have been reports of long lines at this popular eatery.
I picked up a chicken caesar with no tomatoes. The salad was given to me in less than 5 minutes. I think the price was very affordable and the size of the salad was way bigger than I expected. Overall, very clean place , friendly staff and good amount of tables to enjoy your stay.

They offer tasty and healthy food in a nice ambience. A very well run and efficient establishment. The staff are always courteous. The lavash flatbread and quinoa bowls are great. Gets real busy between 12 and one.

We worked with Ivan to cater our corporate picnic for 200 employees. Ivan was wonderful to work with and the food was amazing! We ordered an assortment of wraps as well as several big salads. We have many vegan and vegetarian employees so we were about to order a delicious veggie wrap. The wraps were wonderful, and the salads were absolutely delicious and were a big hit! We will definitely use crunch again in the future for our corporate events!

I went with my coworkers. We all spent $15 or less and either ordered salads or wraps. I built a salad. The base cost was $6.99. The standard toppings were $0.49, some were $0.75, avacado and meat were $2.99 and up. I think the cost is reasonable. They don't give you alot of each topping but enough. I like the options. I wouldn't say the salad was exceptional, but okay. I would go back but beware the line may be very long and you may wait about 20 minutes.

Ordered the Cali salad and would definitely recommend! Doesn’t contain meat, fyi, but I was ok bc it was cheaper that way. Got the Turkey, bacon and ranch wrap. Ranch was watered down so it didn’t have much flavor. I would recommend if you have your own ranch to add.

Quite possibly the best bowl of oatmeal I've had this year! I had the Morning Glory which comes packed with quinoa, oatmeal, apples, cinnamon, cranberries, and almonds. With just a hint of sweetness, it's a great morning post workout meal. It's a little further up N Tryon then I usually go, but it was worth it. There should be a line out of the door for this treat. I ordered via the ritual app and it was ready within 5 minutes. I arrived to no line which was nice, but still surprised me. Very friendly and double checked my order for accuracy before sending me off. I highly recommend this dish! As always, if you found my review helpful please take a minute to hit the 👍, Thanks!

Salted Melon Market & Eatery is a versatile dining spot offering a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. From delectable salads and inventive sandwiches to mouthwatering tuna dishes, wraps, and delightful desserts, there's something for everyone. The breakfast options like the Notorious BEC and the Bandito Burrito are highly recommended as well. Visitors can also enjoy live music while savoring their meals.
I ordered the steak sandwich, which was very delicious and juicy. I also ordered an iced green matcha latte with vanilla. I’m a frequent matcha drinker and this one was one of my favorites! Usually they are too watery or bitter but Randi made it perfectly! The atmosphere is also very cute with plenty of seating. I will definitely return here.

Great place for some fresh eats, live music, or a drink deal! I find that this place is better for a quick coffee or lunch than dinner. I like their five star steak sandwich the best. I also like the seasonal drink the “Strawberry Fields Forever” (I hope they make this a permanent one ;)). Their breakfast burrito is also pretty solid! I will definitely be making my way through the rest of their menu to find other things I enjoy. They also have a lot of drink deals during the week so keep an eye out for them! Plus they have live music sometimes on the weekends, and the artists they pick have been great every time I’ve gone.

Hands-down one of the best brunch spots in Charlotte! I had the Bandit Burrito and it was absolutely packed with flavor — hearty, spicy, and incredibly satisfying. My wife ordered the sweet potato pancakes, and we were both blown away. They were somehow fluffy and perfectly crunchy around the edges — seriously amazing. The vibe was relaxed, the service was friendly, and everything felt thoughtfully crafted. Salted Mellow Market is a hidden gem we’ll definitely be coming back to.

Beautiful Market with some of the most overpriced Boutique food items in the Charlotte region. I'm assuming the neighborhood and visiting clientele are willing to pay $8 plus tax for 5 1/2 oz of homemade crackers. If money is No Object this is your place.

Culinary Dropout, a trendy British-style gastropub chain known for its inventive cocktails and comfort food, has recently opened its first East Coast location in Charlotte's South End. The restaurant boasts quirky decor and offers classic comfort dishes such as charcuterie boards, sandwiches, pasta, and pan pizza. Guests can also enjoy the 360-degree bar, a pet-friendly outdoor patio, and live performances on the stage.
We rented a private room at Culinary Dropout for our church Jewels Women’s Ministry “Denim & Pearls” Brunch, and it was truly amazing! The space was chic, comfortable, and perfect for our gathering. The rental was very affordable, and the food was absolutely delicious — you could taste the fresh ingredients in every bite. The wait staff was beyond outstanding! They were attentive, professional, and so accommodating to our group’s needs that we ended up tipping them twice out of sheer gratitude. The venue also validated our parking, which made the whole experience stress-free for our guests. We loved it so much that we’re already planning to use this private room for another event. I highly recommend Culinary Dropout for any chic social gathering — whether it’s a ministry event, brunch, birthday, or celebration. You won’t be disappointed!

First thing we got was the pretzel bites which were amazing they tasted great and the provolone was tasty. The next thing we got was the Mac burger which is just a better quality Big Mac but it was needing more sauce it was very dry and very greasy but it tasted pretty good. I got it on a pretzel bun which was very good. The fried chicken is NOT worth the wait which it says on the menu it was soggy and tasted like water I couldn’t tell if they even put salt on the chicken it was soggy flavorless. The same goes with the fish and chips very flavorless. Their fries are pretty good though. Also the sweet tea tastes like Lipton it wasn’t bad if that’s what you like. The inside was very nice and they have ping pong outside they also had live music service was pretty good aswell and very accommodating

Visiting Charlotte for a few days and decided to make a quick reservation here. The food and service was amazing! I ordered the loaded baked potato soup as an appetizer and the real chopped bacon was a nice touch! For my entree, I ordered the steak frites and I have no complaints. Well seasoned and tender. The arugula salad and fries were also pretty good. I got the Abandoned Cadillac for a drink it definitely packed a punch. My server Jurnee was super informative and helpful. 10/10 experience. They even validate parking for up to 2 hours!

Made a reservation at Culinary Dropout on a Friday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived right on time and had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. The hostess told us Happy Anniversary twice but our server never made any mention of it. The place was crowded and very noisy which was expected but I thought it would be a little more intimate than that. Either way, our server was good and the food tasted amazing. We started with Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket and Crispy Brussel Sprouts for appetizers. They both tasted great even though the Wagyu tasted like a normal hot dog so that was somewhat of a let down. For entrees, we went with Roasted Salmon and the Chopped Salad with Chicken. Both of these were amazing and tasted great! Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely return to Culinary Dropout!

Overall, this a good spot for a dinner date or business work dinner. The atmosphere is a blend of cool + causal and the food was great! My husband and I went here for the first time during restaurant week so we got a pretty good deal of having an appetizer, entrees and dessert per person as the original menu prices are not cheap. The food was just as they said, all from scratch. The only part I didn’t like is that they brought our food out pretty fast so it felt almost like we were getting rushed to finish our food. Other than that I would recommend to as good place for a special dinner. 8.5/10

This is my second visit at this restaurant and my impression remains the same. Food is always delicious and service always on point. This time I tried the brunch menu starting with the soft pretzels and provolone fondue. Since I couldn’t decide on my brunch item, I actually opted for two meals. I enjoyed the fried chicken and buttermilk biscuit and decided to take the smokehouse hash to go. My friend opted for something from the regular menu and decided on the steak frites. We also both enjoyed the summer tan sangria. Great establishment, great location, and great food.

We went to Culinary Dropout last night for our wedding anniversary & it was amazing!! Malachi was our server & led us to the greatest selections! We started with the Salmon Dip + Grilled bread with Balsamic Vinaigrette along with the Pepperoni & Sausage pizza. WOW!! The pizza stole the show here for me but both were wonderful. For our mains, I got the bolognese & my husband got the fried chicken. Mine was so good!! But after watching the spiritual experience my husband had with the chicken… thankfully he shared a bit & we both wanted to hug Malachi at that point! We ended with the Chocolate Mousse with the espresso drizzle…. Again, hugging Malachi came to mind. Overall wonderful experience and food. We WILL be back!

Restaurant Constance, led by the celebrated Chef Sam Diminich, is a top dining spot in Charlotte known for its exceptional culinary offerings. Chef Diminich's impressive achievements include triumphing over Bobby Flay on the Food Network and launching a successful farm-to-table meal delivery service during the pandemic.
One exceptional dining experience. The ambiance at Constance is warm, elevated, and never too loud—perfect for truly enjoying your meal. Every dish was crafted with care, and our server and the GM made us feel completely taken care of. You can tell the small size allows the chef and team to focus on quality and attention to detail. We didn’t feel rushed, just grateful. Already recommended to all my friends in Louisville. Still dreaming about that kale salad!

It was our first time dining here and we had an 8:30 reservation. Our table wasn’t ready until about 8:50 and they have no waiting area or even a bench so we had to stand by the door for 20 minutes. The hostess did ask if we wanted drinks while we stood there, so we ordered some. Once we were finally seated, it was the table next to the bathroom…The hostess mentioned as she seated us that each table has a 90 minute time limit but said that we didn’t have to worry about that - since we were the last reservation of the night it seemed. Kind of odd to mention the time limit considering our table was not ready until 20 minutes past our reservation time. Our server brought us free bluefin tuna nori wraps to make up for the wait. Not something we would usually order since we don’t prefer raw fish but it had good flavor. Nothing else was discounted on our bill. Got the Dear Rosemary mocktail that had good flavor but had big sprigs of rosemary that aren’t ideal to sip. Also ordered the Moonlight Mile mocktail which had a very faint flavor so would skip that one for $13 price tag. Ordered arancini to start which were pretty looking but the filling didn’t have much flavor. My scallop entree was good and probably my favorite bite. My husband’s short rib dish wasn’t very warm and it was a little too smoky and heavy. The blueberry shortcake biscuit had potential but the biscuit itself didn’t seem fresh and didn’t have much flavor. The chocolate miso tart was somewhat enjoyable. Spent $248 total. Wish we loved our experience for that price but unfortunately we will not be planning another visit.

When I go out to eat it is 90% about the quality of food. The other 10% is a mix of the experience. How friendly the staff is, the location, etc. Because of this, there is a lot of restaurants that disappoint. This one does not. Food was all great. I would be excited to return sometime and try some other things off the menu. I really appreciated the fact that they had non-alcoholic cocktail options for those of us that do not drink, but want something special to celebrate an occasion. We ordered many things, and everything met or exceeded expectations. (And my expectations were pretty high as this restaurant came highly rated through Reddit and other sources. We had one of their raw appetizers, duck confit salad, the lamb, and the scallops. I was expecting a pan-fried lamb and this was more of a roast, However it was still really good. That was no fault of theirs. I just didn't pay enough attention when I ordered it. And like I said I was happy with it anyways. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area again. This restaurant was the perfect blend of fine dining mixed with semi-casual and a good vibe. Keep up the good work!

Wow! I was so (positively) surprised. We had our reservation at 7.30 and got seated around 8 - but it was worth every minute to wait .. and got even better. The service was so friendly and nice and apologized, even got free apps and a drink. And the food? I think this will be one of my top restaurants ins Charlotte. Cozy atmosphere, locally sourced ingredients, you can literally see into the kitchen, friendly server, feels like dining at a friend’s house. We went on a Tuesday and they had their $65 special for a 3 course menu. And for that quality of food? And you might think oh the portions will be small .. no! You will take some home with you because you cannot finish it but you don’t wanna waste any bite of it. I am so so happy with our experience even if we waited a bit - and I hate waiting (lol). I will 100% come back. Highly highly recommend!! One of my top 3 in Charlotte. (If you need to use the restroom you will be surprised with some pictures of the crew and their pets .. I mean - that’s a perfect end of a perfect dinner)

This was the first meal in Charlotte where I felt that the $250 price was justified. We had the hamachi sashimi and clam/shrimp appetizer. Both were very good. We ordered 3 entrees.. the scallops were fantastic. The red wine braised short ribs were perfect. It’s was a unique style as they had some succotash with the potatoes. Then finally we had the tomato risotto with shrimp. We brought our own bottle of wine and they opened it and poured for us even before our table was ready. Will definitely go back. Reminded me of dining in Charleston. Edit for second trip Looks like google won’t let me leave a second review, so I am adding to my first. I recently dinned here again on Friday sept 13. I think my first time was a couple months ago. This time my family was visiting town and went out for my sister’s birthday. There were 5 of us. I was really excited for the family to eat here as it’s hard enough in Charlotte to find somewhere that’s really good. My second experience could not have been more different than my first. As soon as we sat down we were told you have 90 minutes to finish and leave… but “we will give you an extra 15 minutes because of the group” we are very aware of the time limit when making the reservation. I cant recall if this was mentioned my first visit.. if it was it was done in a way that did not make us feel rushed. We immediately felt rushed after sitting down. (I am aware of the economics of having to turn table a certain number of times per night etc.. this is a wider restaurant problem). We ordered focaccia, lobster quesadilla and the fried okra salad. The quesadilla had no flavor, like it just didn’t taste. That’s a weird way of describing it, but it really had no taste. Not spicy, smoky, salty, or otherwise. Literally just tasted like a tortilla. The okra salad I didn’t eat but others seemed to enjoy it. The focaccia, others seemed to enjoy as well. I thought it had too much oil on the bottom. Looked like it was fried almost. The main entrees were simple. 4 of us got the NY strip and my mom got the short rib. The short rib was fantastic, as it was last time. They changed the style a bit but still very good. The problem came with the steaks. We were told they would be cut and served. We all assumed sliced. It came out cubed tossed in with the gnocchi and topped with Parmesan. It looked like it was a steak bowl. The taste overall was a bit meh, the “wine glaze” added nothing to the dish. Looked like it was thrown in just so it sounds better. The biggest problem however was every steak was burned. The inside was rare to med rare, which is fine that’s how we asked them to be cooked. But looks like they had the heat too close. There was thick char on every steak. I think it was a pepper crust maybe… either way we had to cut the tops off all the steaks to even eat them. Mine was pretty tough. The others said there was tender enough. For the birthday “dessert” they brought out a 1.5x1.5 square inch piece of jelly candy with a candle. It was the lamest excuse for a birthday dessert I’ve ever seen. It was tasty at least, we all shared it. The other dessert was the peach Melba. It was not enough for me to even mention at this point. Overall for $500+ we had a terrible experience, felt rushed and food was less than mediocre, except for the short rib. The following night we ate at firebirds and the food was better than dinner this night, which I’m very disappointed to say. All in all I regularly spend $100+ per person when I go out, and it’s getting harder to justify doing that in Charlotte. The star ratings I will adjust to reflect this most recent review. I also think they need to describe the dishes better to reflect what you are getting. I would not have ordered the steak had I known it looked a steak bowl.

First time visiting Restaurant Constance after hearing all the chatter. Definitely enjoyable and will return. Space is as cozy and casual as expected (former Counter 1.0); noise level was reasonable (although most tables were 2 people rather than the 4 that might be seated so noise level might increase if full) and background music pleasant and reasonably contemporary. In-restaurant menu mostly matched the web site and no real surprises (they do a 3 course for $65 on Tuesday and Wednesday it seems and a very approachable wine and non-alcoholic cocktail list). Really enjoyed the Chicken Wraps and Scallops although the Pork Loin was just a smidge on the dry side in the center. They do have a shorter (90 minute) standard seating duration which they maybe "over emphasized" (even to giving us dessert menus during the main course only about 45 minutes into the meal). Overall, other than maybe a little more subtlety indicating the seating duration that is not much we would suggest and look forward to seeing how the menu changes with the seasons.

I never do reviews, but I had to write this right after we got back from our meal tonight. The hostesses and waitress we had were WONDERFUL. They make every effort to make your time at Restaurant Constance enjoyable and are so attentive and personable. The staff apologized multiple times about the wait and gave us a free appetizer because a table refused to leave after their 90 minutes were up (🙄 so rude) and we were seated at about 8:20 for a 8pm reservation. The food was also excellent and I highly recommend going on a Tuesday or Wednesday to get the prix fix menu--three full courses of high-quality food for $65 is a steal. We loved the focaccia bread with salted butter, caramelized onions, and olive oil as our appetizer and my scallops entree was superb.

Restaurant
Plant Joy is a vegan restaurant located in the vibrant Camp North End, a shopping complex set within a retired industrial site. The restaurant offers fresh Mediterranean-inspired dishes that celebrate the natural flavors of vegetables. From falafel nachos to meatless gyro and veggie kabobs, each dish is as visually appealing as it is delicious. Originally a meal delivery service, Plant Joy now serves lunch, brunch, and dinner from Wednesdays to Sundays.
I love going to camp northend. It's a great space filled with a variety of small businesses. I finally had the pleasure of trying Plant Joy. I was amazed by the flavors of the food that I tried. It's hard to find a good vegan restaurant that doesn't use harsh or processed ingredients with "healthy" meatless options. Not many places have mastered reading the ingredient list for byproducts either. The location is an outdoors shared space, so it can be challenging to find a place to sit and eat. Other than that, it's cool. I tried the crab cake on croissant, kale salad with sesame rub, blood orange raw cheesecake, and rainbow toast. It was more than enough food for 2, so I had leftovers. The service was great. The freshly prepared food took a bit of time but was well worth the wait. Good food for the soul and cells takes time to prepare. One of the employees was very patient with me in helping navigate the menu, which I appreciate. I would definitely return and recommend this place.

This is a great vegan spot with fair pricing. The little shape cut veggies were a cute touch. Their food isn't just visually appealing, it's flavor packed as well. It was hard to choose since everything sounded so good! But I really enjoyed the socca and salad. The menu is very clear about allergens and they are able to make things gluten free if needed. Plenty of seating available around the area, and they'll give you a little buzzer for when your order is ready.

Finding vegan restaurants on my travels is such a treat, and Plant Joy didn’t disappoint! Try the Grilled Greens, Falafel Tower and a delicious pop tart desert. All items were cooked fresh and DELICIOUS! Great customer service & don’t miss the compost bucket! All items can be composted or recycled. Bonus!

The grilled greens sandwich was by far the best tasting purchase here. I did enjoy my beet bowl, and the nacho tower did not come with enough chips so it was unfinished. All this between two people was a good amount of food.

I love that they had Vibes drink (CBD)! Peach ginger is the best flavor. I had a few things since it was my first time. I only enjoyed the grilled green sandwich!! That sandwich is 10 out of 10! Although I didn’t like anything else on the menu for the sandwich alone I would go back. The reason why I dropped a star was because out of all the things I tried I only liked one thing and also found at the hummus was not good and dry.

Honestly, Plant Joy is just that...pure vegan joy on a plate! It was so hard to decide on what to order that we may have gone a bit overboard, but everything was delish & filling! We ordered the Socca & Salad, Cauliflower Piccata, Chickpeas & Friends, Yam & Cheese & more. Their team was friendly & helpful when it came to the dietary restrictions of our group. Everything was freshly prepared & the presentation was so pretty. Excited for my next visit!
Goldee P — Google review
This is what I opened my box to when I got home from ordering; a 3 minute drive from the place. The falafel was cold, the dip was old and cold. The pita was hard. I called to kindly ask for money back and was rudely told that the boxes don’t hold heat so that why the food is cold. The food was ice cold. When I describe the taste and look, I was then told that I didn’t know vegan food. I’ve been vegetarian for 8 years and transition to vegan/plant base in year 6. After I kindly ask for my money back one more time after their explanation, I was told again, rudely, to never come back to the place since I could not comprehend science. As a Black vegan teacher (history) and school leader (asst. principal), I felt not listen to and was gaslighted when all I wanted was to visit NC and eat at a vegan restaurant. I will not return to plant joy on my own accord and not because I was rudely asked to not. Overall, all I wanted was a refund for the food and service I deemed underwhelming and rude. I have yet to see my refund as of now. I will ensure I get it though.

Plant Joy is the little vegan shop we needed in Charlotte. Shockingly, these homemade dishes were bursting with flavor and texture. The spinach and artichoke quiche was amazing. I never in my life thought a quiche would taste so good without the diary products. The cost was extremely reasonable. I'm surprised they're not charging more considering the portion size. This is only a food stand, be mindful that it's pretty much take out whether you at it at Camp North End or home. The staff was extremely polite, helpful and sweet. You're even able to see images of the food in a binder proir to buying. Some question the quality of vegan food but this definitely helps you have a visual quickly dismissing the its "grass" or "not filling" sigma around vegan food. Give Plant Joy a try. You won't regret it; even if you're not a vegan.

Just Salad is a delightful counter-service chain that specializes in crafting customized salads, wraps, and smoothies to satisfy your cravings. One standout option is the Warm Chicken Thigh + Goat Cheese salad, which features marinated chicken thigh paired with roasted sweet potatoes, arugula, goat cheese, balsamic mushrooms, fresh lemon juice, and a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette—perfect for those seeking a hearty yet healthy meal.
The salad maker was very professional and quick, the cashier however was quick as well but with her fingers.. she attempted to help me swipe my card as if I didn’t know how to use the terminal, saying that the machine was “tricky” then she proceeded to rapidly and so conveniently press a tip. I later realized that was a part of her reasoning for coming from behind the counter to assist me. Please pay close attention to your cashiers preferably the elder of the bunch. The salad ended being really good despite the end transaction.

This was beyond.sub par it seems like the mission statement means nothing to them. The attitude of the staff and the freshness left a lot to be desired. I advise you to make your own salad at home! It was my first and my last time there and will continue to share what a poor experience I had and will never return again NO MATTER WHAT!! SKIP THE SALAD

While I love the salad I get. I do not understand why the employees do not inform Door Dashers when orders are ready. Of the last 15 orders I’ve placed, about 12 times I had to let the dasher know orders are placed on a table. Just put a sign in the door or something.

Ordered the chipotle cowboy salad for pick up and received romaine with beans. No chicken, cheese, or crunchy onions. Thanks Mo!

On March 22, 2022, I sustained a second-degree burn at Just Salad South Park, which necessitated shutting down the business to seek immediate care at an urgent care facility. The diagnosis confirmed a second-degree burn on my right foot. Subsequently, I had to make frequent visits to urgent care every two days after completing my shifts at Just Salad. However, despite the care received at urgent care, they advised me to consult a specialist for severe burns, which I believed Hanover insurance through Just Salad would cover. To date, I have not been able to see a burn specialist, nor have I been compensated for the expenses incurred for medications, gauze, and bandages needed to maintain the cleanliness and coverage of the injured area, all of which I had to purchase every few days. Furthermore, I have not received any communication from Hanover insurance or the owners of Just Salad regarding my worker's compensation or information about the injury. The most recent communication I received was a card delivered in the mail to pick up medication from the pharmacy, which arrived nine months after the initial injury occurred.

I was really excited they were open due to my lunch starting at 10am. My first time patronizing the business, however, there was a ROACH directly on the top of what looked like either rice or quinoa at the very start of the food bar. I chose to purchase one of the blue just salads bowl. It was dirty with food stuck to the inside of the bowl. All they did was remove that one item from the bar. They didn't even offer me a discount. First and final visit. 🥴

Half of the salad is missing! Ordered a build your own & paid extra for some ingredients (you can only select 4 toppings) Order arrived and toppings are almost nonexistent. The dressing is really good and it seems fresh but its 97% romain lettuce. So disappointing.

I was all excited to have a salad but then I went here during business hours and they had the place all baracated and they told n online orders only. The ordering website however does not list the ingredients. So when I asked the staff what the ingredients were they got upset and yelled at me. I left.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful lunch spot in Uptown Charlotte, look no further than this charming eatery that specializes in wraps and salads. The menu features enticing options like the Chinese Shrimp Salad, which combines marinated shrimp with fresh spinach, crunchy cucumbers, vibrant red peppers, sunflower kernels, and crispy Chinese noodles drizzled with a soy-ginger dressing. Diners rave about their BBQ chicken wrap—so delicious that many find themselves ordering an extra to take home!
A great place to grab a quick lunch. Pasta salad was flavorful and well made (can I get that recipe? lol) and tomato wrap with steak was also delicious. Steak was well made and flavorful. Food was also fresh and quick to come out. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in uptown and need to grab a quick bite.

Great little spot for lunch offering wraps and salads. Decent prices and portions. I really enjoyed the pasta salad. Will definitely be back

Terrible service from the woman serving the salad. It was my first time visiting so I had questions on how the create your own salad worked and food service worker was impatient and rude. The woman working at the counter/cashier was very nice however.

Great customer service, I was here yesterday and forgot my wallet. Me being a regular customer, they said not to worry about it. I came back today to pay for my meal yesterday but the lady at the counter insisted it’s on the house!! Great people, great food, great service.

If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible service, terrible quality and when you call to try to speak to a manager, they hang up on you. Don’t waste your money!!

A great place to grab a quick lunch if your Uptown Charlotte!

Two fantastic vegan/vegetarian options here: the Organic Tofu Wrap and the Veggie Wrap. I got the Veggie Wrap and added tofu. The wrap came with a “side” salad that many places would consider a main dish with the amount of lettuce it had. The Veggie Wrap was amazing and full of flavor. If you are in the area and looking for vegan/veg options, you definitely need to visit this family-run eatery. I will be back every time I’m in Charlotte. Wow.

My favorite lunch spot! Staff moves quickly/efficiently and are super sweet! Food is amazing.. never fails! I recommend getting blackened chicken, it makes the salad even better than with the regular grilled chicken. I seriously only eat salad from here... I can't find a place with fresher ingredients.
