The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery & Biergarten is a popular destination in Charlotte, offering a unique blend of brewery pub and outdoor beer garden. It boasts the title of being the oldest and largest in the southeast, providing a lively setting for visitors to enjoy house brews, live music, and delicious food truck snacks. The spacious eight-acre Biergarten offers plenty of room for kids to play while adults can savor their favorite drinks.
I’ve been here twice now for two events the brewery has hosted! Both times were so fun!! The outdoor atmosphere is so nice with so many places to sit. Tried some food today and really enjoyed it! I got the Turkey BLT—so so good would definitely get again. I mac and cheese was okay but didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the meal as a whole at all. My boyfriend the smash burger—he thought it tasted good (a little mustard heavy though). He also ordered the Mecktoberfest Special Beer which was great! I can’t wait until there’s another event here to come back again!

Visiting from out of town and was told by locals to come visit. They were not wrong! First of all, I didn’t expect such a large, beautiful bier garden so close to downtown. The whole vibe outside is chill and relaxing. We had their pretzel and smash burger and both were awesome. But the beer…WOO! Each beer was just as great as the last and the beertenders were very knowledgeable and helpful. The Hazy IPA recommendation was spot on. If you find yourself in Charlotte please make this a stop. I’ll definitely be back here when we come visit again.

I’ve been coming to OMB since 2016, and it’s still my forever go-to brewery in Charlotte! The ambience is unbeatable, with spacious outdoor seating, great music, and a relaxed vibe that’s perfect for hanging out with friends. It’s also surprisingly family-friendly — plenty of open space and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages. Whether it’s a sunny afternoon or a cool evening, OMB always delivers a great experience. If “Friends” had their Central Perk coffee shop, this is mine. After nearly a decade of visits, it’s safe to say OMB will always be my favorite spot in Charlotte.
Sandeep M — Google review
Mainly here for the atmosphere, DAVE’S post birthday party, trivia night and we won 1st place. First time here was for a kids birthday party. She turned all of ONE YEARS OLD, but a true testament of just what to expect or not. Great experience each time, FUN TIMES!!! Food was good also! Typical bar food, but I’m picky so don’t mind me on this. The layout of this place is AMAZING, & so was the sunset!
Johnie — Google review
Fantastic spot for German-style beer and comfort food! I loved the fresh Copper Altbier and bratwurst, enjoyed the huge shaded biergarten, and appreciated the family- and dog-friendly layout. Friendly staff, live music, clean and peaceful. Perfect for a casual day or festive night out.
Francisco M — Google review
Having previously visited the Ballantyne location, I approached this establishment with similar expectations. The layout, particularly the outdoor area, presents a commendable design. My order consisted of the doner kebab bowl, modified to exclude spicy chili sauce and tomato and cucumber salad due to personal dietary restrictions (tomato). The resulting dish was exceptionally well-prepared. The server, whose name I unfortunately did not retain, provided attentive and accommodating service. I had intended to document the garden and exterior through video recording, but the file was inadvertently deleted. Overall, the experience was highly positive. *Please note that the monthly features are not available on the weekends.*

We love OMB and from the moment we moved to Charlotte we knew it would be a place we'd frequent. It was a no-brainer having our wedding reception here in May 2025. I have all great things to say about this location and the staff. Our point of contact was Emily, and throughout the entire process she was nothing short of AMAZING. She was always accessible, had great suggestions and ideas and was accommodating to our needs. We had a private tasting to decide on our menu, and they made sure to make us feel special with personalized signs and private seating. And let me just say, the food was OUTSTANDING! My husband and I had a hard time deciding, and all our guests sang praise to the taste. And the dedicated team to our day was so sweet! It was an amazing day, thank you all for making our day be that much more special! We are very grateful ❤️ The Cruzes

Wow. Largest brewery I’ve been to by far. Huge indoor area and even larger Biergarten. Friendly staff, delicious beer. Stopped in while making rounds collecting brewery stickers when visiting the area. Would definitely be back if back in the area again.

Bar
The Thirsty Beaver Saloon is a dive bar with a honky tonk vibe, known for its defiance against urban development. It's nestled between towering apartment buildings that were constructed around it after the owners refused to sell. The exterior features a giant beaver character on an orange wall, setting the tone for the quirky interior adorned with Burt Reynolds pictures, gag posters, and hanging bras.
Hello, neighbor. Sometimes, when you’re walking through your neighborhood, you stumble upon a place that doesn’t look fancy… but oh, how it makes you feel. The Thirsty Beaver is one of those places. It’s a small bar with a big heart. The music is loud, the walls are full of stories, and the floor might be sticky—but that’s just the bar giving you a little hug from your shoes. Now, I don’t drink too often, but when I do, I like something friendly. I asked for a whiskey sour, and the bartender made it with such kindness and care, I almost cried into my coaster. The balance of sweet and sour reminded me of life itself. And oh my, the people here! Denim jackets, tattoos, laughter, and even a man who looked like he’d wrestled a jukebox once and lost. But everyone was kind. A young man offered me his barstool, and another told me I looked like someone who “gives good life advice.” That made me feel very special. The world can be loud and wild, neighbor—but in a place like this, surrounded by good folks and a great mixed drink, it’s nice to remember that we can all belong somewhere. I like you just the way you are, Thirsty Beaver.
Joseph T — Google review
The Thirsty Beaver is... officially one of my favorite bars that I've ever been to! The inside of the bar was so cool, it was like a 1940s combination of a diner and bar. They had so much cool memorabilia, from the pool tables, neon signs, chairs & tables, posters, jukebox, hand games, etc. The bartender and other patrons were so cool, welcoming, and easy to talk to as well. I had such a fun time talking to them for a few hours. Overall, as previously stated, Thirsty Beaver is one of my favorite bars that I've ever been to, and it almost makes me wish I lived in Charlotte so I could go more often. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Hadleigh P — Google review
I don’t live in Charlotte, but when I stumbled upon a post about the Thirsty Beaver on Facebook, I was instantly intrigued. The history of this bar is so compelling that I thought, “I need to visit this place ASAP!” As soon as I had the chance to come to Charlotte, I made a beeline for the Thirsty Beaver, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! If you haven’t been yet, what are you waiting for? You need to visit it, period.
Rofa G — Google review
A dive bar of dive bars, the Thirsty Beaver is the place to go for cheap beer and cheap drinks in Plaza Midwood. It's quite the hangout complete with jukebox full of classic old tunes. Full of character and charm where you can hangout and no one cares. Yes, this is the spot where Mick Jagger popped in when the Rolling Stones tour passed through Charlotte and he was either not recognized or people truly didn't care.
Bruce K — Google review
The most classic of classic dive bars. You get what you expect. Had a blast as per usual!
Zandi W — Google review
Stepping into Thirsty Beaver Saloon feels like entering a time capsule of Charlotte's past, with its rustic decor and vintage vibes. The history oozes from every corner, creating an ambiance that's both nostalgic and welcoming. Saddle up to the bar and order a cold one while you soak in the charm of this beloved establishment. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a visit to Thirsty Beaver Saloon is an experience you won't soon forget.
Luis G — Google review
Just be a little weary. Left my credit card there the night before and instead of holding for me to come grab and leave a nice tip, someone tried to charge it 20 times with (grubhub, instacart, DoorDash). Def an employee that works there but luckily it was reported as stolen beforehand. Just know that if you leave your card on accident, you’ll be buying one of them groceries and a free meal.

Argon - went there Friday night and I really had a good time. This place is a chill local bar vibe kinda spot. They did not have any food being served or a food truck outside either. Not sure because of covid or that's just their thing.. Has a back patio as well. This place is big enough to hold events tho there were none the night I visited. The bartender guy with grey hair (ofcourse I forgot his name, sorry dude) is by far the sweetest, most patient guy ever. My drinks were super. Very friendly patrons as well. All in all a safe and happy space for a fun night. Rr - clean, well maintained and no, there aren't separate rr for men and women like at other establishments. I'm going to grab a sandwich before I go there next time.
Van S — Google review
Love this place! I normally chill on the back "porch" because I like being outside while also being able to hear the music. Good place to hang out with any group size. Enjoyed the music every I've been!

There is a bartender name Nathan. He is one find man and super friendly. He makes a killer tequila sunrise. I like my drinks like i like my men fruity🥰. This is the place to come. I drove over an hr and will definitely be coming back. The reason I picked that price is because i did drink a lot lol.
Jimmy W — Google review
I absolutely love the energy and environment of Argon. From the first time I visited they made me feel very welcome and appreciated. I’ll never forget the second night I attended when another patron came in very inebriated trying to continue his party there while trying to touch anyone he could. The bartenders instantly knew not to serve him, the bar back checked on the patrons affected, and management came up and resolved the situation almost instantaneously. What could have been a night killer was only a momentary bump in the road that was quickly/professionally resolved. The music is bumpin’, the establishment is clean, and the staff genuinely does what they can for every patron to have a great time responsibility/safely. I can’t wait to be back soon!

Truist Field, also known as Charlotte Knights Stadium or BB&T Ballpark, is a 10,200-capacity bi-level baseball stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the home of the Triple-A Minor League team, the Charlotte Knights. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the city's skyscrapers and charming waterfalls at Romare Bearden Park. The Green, a one-acre pocket park with sculptures and fountains, offers another delightful option for exploration.
Charlotte Knights game was a blast! Thirsty Thursday was fun with $2 Sahlens hotdogs and $6 craft beers from local breweries. Wicked Weed brewery was our favorite with a good sour and wheat beer. Affordable tickets, great City views, safe area. We walked to and from the game from our Airbnb.
Beth D — Google review
Other than getting rained on, it was a really nice field with incredible city views. Parking was easy and accessible. Ticket prices were horrendously high compared to other parks we visited this year. The fees and taxes were really high too.
Shelaine — Google review
While in Charlotte we went to Charlotte Knights baseball game. We have been to a couple other minor league games and we thought we would try this. The field and stadium itself did not seem as big as other minor league ballparks I have been too. The atmosphere was very good and the fans were very enthusiastic. The food was very good. I had chicken on a stick and my daughter had ribbon fries. For a minor league game it was very well attended. If I were in the area again, I would definitely want to go to another game.
James N — Google review
We enjoyed the Pumpkin Patch event. It was an easy entrance, not too much of a wait. Just wish it would have been more pumpkins to see. Cute event!
Matilda R — Google review
Hard to beat a great minor league venue. Easy to get to, walkable from most downtown hotels. Great seats everywhere, concession lines not bad and prices much better than the majors.
Phil T — Google review
I visited for United Way's The Longest Table. The event was held asking the concourse because if intermittent rain. It was a successful event. I met and concerned with those at my table and made new connections. Breakfast was served with juice and water. I will attend again!
Michelle B — Google review
Beautiful field. Great atmosphere.! Fun for all ages definitely would recommend.!
Timesha — Google review
Neat park. Got a torrential downpour around 5:30, but we were all offered the Paper Mill Pub as a safe place to wait for the gates to open on Harry Potter night. They've done a lot with the space. The lawn behind the outfield concourse is a nice touch. Lawns in the outfield are hit and miss. I kind of wish I had gotten homerun porch tickets or diamond club seats to fully experience the place with my family. The Knights organization did a great job with the Harry Potter theme execution. The announced delayed start time was hit and the team removing the tarp and getting the field ready did a very good job.

The Underground is a live music venue located adjacent to The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC. With a small 750-person capacity, it provides an intimate and high-energy setting for up and coming as well as well-known bands to perform.
As far as smaller venues are concerned I really like this one. The staff there have been fairly accommodating especially to my disabled husband. The bathrooms were clean and the drinks were good. I like how they have the floor set up there’s not huge pillars in the way or anything and the show sounded great. I’ve been here at least 6 times and it’s a good vibe and a relatively easy breezy experience.
Camrie D — Google review
Staff is always nice, friendly and helpful. My daughter recently had back surgery and they let her sit in the ADA seating for a bit to give her back a rest. Parking is close enough lines move quickly. They were a tad overly thorough on a small bag search and made us show ID for RX medication, but better than lack security, I suppose.
Melanie M — Google review
Attended a 2000's Limewire party and was impressed by how spacious the place was inside. Arrived around 9:30pm & there was no line at all. Walked right on in, went through security, got checked in and the vibes were on. There is a bar to the right of venue. The dance floor is right in the middle of the space with what looked like VIP seating on the sides. Bathrooms are all the way in the back though so you do have to maneuver your way through the crowd in order to get to them. They have an outside patio with tables in case you need to smoke or just get out of the craziness. Overall pretty impressed with the efficiency of all the workers and the place was very clean. No food sold here only drinks. This is located right beside the Fillmore in NC Music Favtory. They have street parking and a parking garage as well. Great experience and wouldn't mind coming back for another event here.
Jene'Vue E — Google review
Great small cap venue with killer sound, good views, easy access. If you're short, get there early or buy an upgraded seat around the perimeter. VIP section has great view but seating is in the back so it doesn't feel as close or intimate.
Jeremy P — Google review
Smaller venue with up close and personal for events. Enjoyed seeing 10 years, Atlantis Way & Citizen Soldier. Highly recommend for concerts! The staff was exceptional... Jay and others are awesome!!
SouthernGal N — Google review
The venue is a nice size, it’s not a massive venue or a tiny room; it’s the perfect size in my opinion. I’m not a huge concert fan and this was my first metal show. I felt like it was very open and I’m was shocked to see how clean the bathrooms are! The bathroom attendants do an amazing job!!! There are a few places to sit towards the back. After standing for half the show we moved to the handicap seating (I have a fainting disorder and sanding so long is a no go) it had a ramp for wheel chairs etc. I was happy to see how handicap assessable it was for more mobile-limited people.

Merchant & Trade is a chic rooftop bar located atop the Kimpton Tryon Park in Uptown Charlotte. It offers craft cocktails, local beers, and elevated bar bites in a swanky setting that can cater to various needs, whether it's post-work drinks or a romantic date spot. The bar features unique house cocktails like the Velvet Slipper and Blushing Belle, alongside classic options.
Very good rooftop bar in Charlotte with very good views. Drinks are nice and food is also delicious. Only downside is service can be a bit slow, but staff were apologetic and when our drinks and food arrived, it was very good! We returned every evening for drinks and to enjoy the view Be warned, on a Saturday evening it basically becomes a club. If chilled out is your vibe i do not recommend Saturday evenings
Thomas H — Google review
Went in on a Saturday night for friends birthday celebration. All staff members including security were very polite and accommodating. I was able to make my way in to the establishment with my knee mobility scooter no problem at all. The vibes were great, with a DJ performing catchy unique beats. There is no dress code here which is nice especially when you are just venturing around the charlotte area looking for something to do. There are both open seating and reserved areas all with wonderful views of the city. After looking around for a few minutes for somewhere to sit, a staff member spotted us, kindly explained how the seating areas worked and guided us towards some open seating areas. Although a bit crowded, I had no issues making my way throughout the area with my mobility scooter. Our party of 3 was able to find a lovely open seating area at a cozy tabletop fire pit. The cocktails we ordered were beautifully crafted with fresh ingredients & candied cherries for a garnish. Perfect location if you are looking for an upscale yet casual friendly date night or somewhere to decompress with family and friends. Added to my list of places to drop in again whenever Im back in the area.
Jennifer A — Google review
Stopped by here on a whim when we were walking by the hotel on a Tuesday evening. There was an event going on at the time so the outside seating was more limited but still enough seating. As it was hot out we preferred to sit in and enjoyed a cocktail. The drink was good but it is pricier here, like $18-$20. It’s nice but to sit outside and actually appreciate the view I would have to wait for a cooler day and/or when the patio area is not reserved to see what it’s like there.
Michele K — Google review
Had a great time at this rooftop spot! It was such a nice experience enjoying drinks with friends while taking in the views. The music added to the chill vibe without being too loud.

Unfortunately I can’t grade the food because we didn’t eat here however the DRINKS!!!OMG I ASKED THE waitress to get creative and OMG, she hit that perfectly. The prices was AMAZING. Our waitress was super cool too. I love a waitress to comes with a smile and gives the feeling like she loves what she does. The decor was really fly. Perfect for unwinding and relaxing. Love this place. Will return and such a beautiful establishment

I would go there for the fantastic view and atmosphere, not the cocktails. Got way better, bigger and cheaper ones elsewhere. Super overpriced and basic in my opinion. Only three (!!!) non alcoholic cocktails also. That was disappointing. Otherwise very fancy people, great dj and attentive staff. Their desk policy is also very smart. Went Friday around 8pm, after 9/10pm very packed.

Had a great experience at this rooftop bar in uptown Charlotte. When you walk in, you feel like you've entered an exclusive club. The music was on point and our server Crystal was an absolute gem, giving great drink pairing suggestions. The atmosphere outside was really nice, with a good view of the surrounding area next to some cozy firepits. Definitely recommend!

I visited a friend I haven't seen in a long time. We came for drinks. There was a line to get in. The place was super crowded. It's a beautiful restaurant with spectacular views. However, the line at the bar to get drinks was insane. Some tables are reserved or you can find an open seat. Both have pros and cons. The drink was heavily iced, which took away from the flavor-- especially for the cost. I did not get anything to eat, so I can't really judge that. There was a fireworks show across the way (partially blocked by a building, but that's not their fault). If I do visit again, it'll have to be on a slower day bc the sheer volume of ppl was too much for me.

Supperland is a charming steakhouse located in Plaza Midwood, housed in a beautifully restored midcentury church. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its rustic-chic ambiance and hearty Southern dishes. Guests can savor delectable offerings such as miso mac and cheese, wagyu pot roast, and sausage gravy croquettes. The establishment also features a speakeasy downstairs, providing an intimate setting for enjoying handcrafted cocktails.
Absolutely phenomenal! Supperland is an exceptional dining experience. Stellar professional service with great attention to detail. The beautiful ambiance and outstanding cuisine enlivens the senses. Roasted oysters appetizer is a must, winter salad with burrata is delicious. The wood fired USDA Prime Ribeye & ultra-premium poulet rouge ( a very flavorful heirloom chicken that only the finest restaurants feature), bone marrow roasted broccoli & creamed spinach are all are world class. The s'mores dessert with ember ice cream & mini pretzels was one of best desserts we have ever had! The reasonably priced wine selection and perfectly prepared cocktails only add to the experience. This unique restaurant concept exceeds on every level. Very memorable and worthy of kudos to the ownership and management. We have only one regret...not ordering the Wagyu steak. But, I see this happening in the very near future! We highly recommend.

My sisters and I attended brunch at Supperland because I had been wanting to try it for awhile. It was AMAZING. One of my sisters has a lot of food allergies- gluten, dairy, garlic, onions, and some other specific things. When we were seated there was a full allergen chart at the table that listed items with gluten, dairy, eggs, vegetarian, and vegan options. The waiter was also very understanding and took the time to ask the chefs any additional questions regarding what was the in the food. Since everything is made to order, my sister was able to see her food being cooked and choose to keep things separate- like only the eggs and smoked salmon from the eggs Benedict bar. Anyways, the main take away of this I hope is for people with lots of food allergies to know this is a safe place for them to eat. The food is amazing- there are so many delicious options. And the drink menu is also great!

I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Supperland with friends. The interior is beautiful (though maybe a little loud), and the service was outstanding. Our server, Nick, was very knowledgeable and helped us choose a great selection of food and drinks. This is one restaurant in Charlotte where “shared plates” are actually large enough to share. Between five of us, we enjoyed bread, onion dip with house chips, a steak, miso mac and cheese, corn dip, brussels, mushroom risotto, and smashed potatoes. We were too full to order dessert, unfortunately. I was impressed with the depth of flavor in every dish, but especially the mushroom risotto. I will absolutely be back.

Very cool atmosphere. It's in an old church and the decor is honestly beautiful, it is . It is very LOUD, not the place to go for easy conversation. I felt like I needed to yell my order to my waiter. Not what I was expecting or looking for. We started with the shrimp cocktail, warm onion dip with homemade chips and bread with three butters, followed by all family style... 18 oz ribeye pre sliced for the table, brussel sprouts, ambrosia, and sweet potato. Plenty for 4 people to try a bit of everything. The food was delicious, but everything was a little under salted to my liking ( They did provide salt when asked). My sister in law and mom said the sweet potato with ice cream was the star, however I thought the ribeye was perfect, well seasoned, medium rare, and warm. Our waiter, Luke, was friendly and helpful. We will be back with family.

We had an exceptional dining experience at Supperland. The standout dishes were the branzino—perfectly cooked with crisp skin and tender, flaky meat—and the aged steak, which was rich, deeply flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The pork can-can was a showstopper: juicy, indulgent, and beautifully plated, with a balance of textures that made each bite memorable. The drink program was equally impressive. From the start, the cocktails were expertly crafted—balanced, creative, and perfectly paired with the bold flavors of the meal. The wine list was well-curated and our selection complemented the food seamlessly. We finished the night with a port that was smooth and indulgent, rounding out a truly satisfying evening. Supperland delivers not only on food and drink but also on ambiance and service. It’s a place that manages to feel both elevated and inviting. Highly recommend for a special night out.

The Speakeasy was spectacular! The food wasn't as good as I expected with those prices. However, the drinks were amazing! JP was a phenomenal host with his extensive knowledge on cocktails and his friendly demeanor. Thank you JP for making my birthday experience a night to remember!

Came here for my birthday dinner and it was amazing! Upon sitting the staff provided a very sweet card wishing me a happy birthday and the server was very knowledgeable about the dishes they were serving. Others within the staff were passionate about the dishes served and let us know when we ordered something they loved (a thing which I personally thought was a good sign). At the end I got a surprise birthday dessert (banana macaron) which was delicious. Only note would be to add more non-alcoholic options but overall I’d definitely come here again. Plates were shareable and delicious.

Last night we celebrated our five-year anniversary at Supperland. We had heard wonderful things and were excited to finally try it, especially since we’ve enjoyed almost every other restaurant in the group. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t fully live up to our expectations. On the positive side, our food came out quickly and everything was prepared correctly. The atmosphere is truly beautiful—it’s a stunning space. However, the service itself felt lacking. Our server didn’t seem particularly engaged, which made the evening feel a little uncomfortable at times. She seemed annoyed at times and had a flat, almost unapproachable look. The entrées were good, but the sausage gravy croquettes were truly excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The restaurant did provide us with an anniversary card, which was a nice gesture, but the handwriting was sloppy and the message felt rushed and insincere—almost like an afterthought. In that case, it might have been better not to include one at all. While we enjoyed celebrating together in such a beautiful setting, the overall service fell short of what we had hoped for on such a special night, especially on a $300+ outing.

Nestled high above the JW Marriott Hotel in Uptown Charlotte, Aura Rooftop is a stunning escape that offers breathtaking views of the city skyline. This vibrant rooftop oasis features an inviting pool, cozy cabanas, and lush greenery, making it an ideal spot to unwind on a warm summer day. Guests can indulge in a delightful selection of small plates while sipping on an extensive cocktail menu that includes everything from signature drinks to craft non-alcoholic options like the refreshing Charlotte's Crown.
I stayed one night at the JW Marriott Charlotte and had dinner at Aura Rooftop. I tried two rice bowls—the Salmon and the Wagyu. Both were quite good, but what really stood out was the atmosphere. Even though the rooftop is only on the 5th floor, the vibe was amazing with a stylish and relaxing setting. Perfect spot to enjoy good food, cocktails, and city views while unwinding. Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying at the hotel or nearby! -- Recommend to do reservation
Tuung T — Google review
I didn’t have a reservation, but the host was still able to seat me—right around 5 p.m., just as the happy hour crowd was rolling in. Spoiler alert: the rooftop view overlooking the city is absolutely worth it, so I’d recommend making a reservation to secure your spot. Since this was just a stop before my dinner plans, I kept it light and ordered the spicy guacamole (and yes, it lives up to its name—spicy but so good!) along with the burnt end lollipops (smoked brisket). To sip, I went with a refreshing Charlotte mocktail. Another perk? During happy hour, all appetizers are $3 off, which makes it the perfect time to sample and share. What would have been this establishment a five star for me would have been attentiveness and hospitality.

Cool spot to unwind and relax. Great views of the city while enjoying a cocktail. Sit at the bar or your own little cabana area. On the 5th floor of the Marriott Hotel. Bartenders were friendly. Also has a pool behind the bar if you’re a guest staying at the hotel. Awesome place to stay of meet up for drinks with friends or coworkers. If you’re visiting charlotte I recommend checking this place out !

The food and service were good but the views and atmosphere were best at Aura Rooftop. Whether going for a drink, dining, meeting with friends, swimming at the pool, staying at the JW Marriott or simply taking in the sites, Aura can accommodate. I enjoyed my impromptu summer evening visit and would return. The vibe is relaxing. I even had the pleasure of witnessing a beautiful proposal. I highly recommend this rooftop venue.

Paid $300 to rent a cabana plus another $300 bar tab…..the bar tab was fine but people were coming in through the back door and just sitting in the cabanas not to mention we were there for 4 hours and the same trash and dirty towels were everywhere not getting cleaned up. What a waste. Why rent a cabana when just anyone sits in them and leaves garbage everywhere. We frequent rooftops for the view and upscale atmosphere this was by far our only disappointment going out in Charlotte.
Erin N — Google review
My friend and I were really looking forward to this rooftop bar — especially for the views of Charlotte. We made a reservation for 6 PM and were excited to check it out based on all the great reviews. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. When we arrived, we were told to either wait on the side or try the bar (which was completely packed). We let the hostess know we’d wait by the bar — but she clearly forgot about us and started seating walk-ins with no reservations. How do I know? I stood right next to her watching the whole thing unfold while she tried to fix the seating mess she created. I’ve worked in the industry, and to be clear — it wasn’t even a busy or chaotic night. Maybe she was new, but the lack of organization and professionalism was really disappointing. It was enough of a turn-off that we didn’t even bother ordering food. We stayed for one drink (which was decent), but honestly, the service made the whole experience fall flat. This spot may have great views, but it’s not worth the hype. There are plenty of other places in Charlotte where you can enjoy a better vibe, service, and still take in the skyline. Skip this one.

Located in Uptown's Fourth Ward, The Fillmore Charlotte is a historic mill building turned live music venue that exudes vintage charm with hardwood floors and iconic performance decor. With a capacity of 2,000 people, it offers standing-room-only space and some VIP seating areas. The venue hosts a diverse lineup of artists, from country stars to hard-rock acts, ensuring an unforgettable concert experience.
saw the crane wives and it was an AMAZING performance!! as with most venues definitely dress/pack light cus it gets really hot standing with so many people. overall it was a really nice place and the security was handled very well. we did not wait in line for longer than 3 minutes, it was all going very smoothly.
Aqkslsoszn — Google review
Good acoustics and nice layout. However, the VIP area is a rip off. You pay around $50/person for access when buying tickets. But you get there and if you want a chair to sit on, that’s an extra $50/person. And if you want a two-person high top table for food and beverage service, that’s another $70/person. My wife and I reluctantly splurged because we wanted easy beverage and food service. But the server was VERY RUDE the whole time and seemed bothered to even acknowledge us. Once the show started, we asked to order some fries and she snapped and said the kitchen was closed. Okay so we paid all that for less than what was offered. Oh, and when it came time to pay the tab, there’s no way to tip less this 18%. Be warned. Good views though.

My first time at the Fillmore and Durand did not disappoint! An incredible show, but he is AMAZING! The venue was very nice and orderly. Also nice and cool considering it was a packed house. Great experience overall, including ease of parking and exiting the venue area.

I have visited the Fillmore twice to catch some really great shows: Common and Pete Rock and my all time favorite Ms. BADU. The venue is very intimate and perfect for catching artists without the hassels or arena feel. Drinks very decent price and food is also sold. Ticket prices are also very good for most artists that come.

I took my daughters to see Maddox Batson. First time at The Fillmore. We had Fast Access and VIP seats. We got in the venue fast and got access to our seats quickly. The rest of the venue appears to be standing room only. Food and drinks were great. Place was clean. Great views from everywhere in the place. Perfect concert venue. Employee’s were all very professional. We had the best time. It was raining out but we weren’t allowed to take our umbrellas inside . When we exited, the umbrella's were on a table for us grab ours. Never seen that before.

Was here tonight to watch The Crane Wives. The lines, security and entrance was so well managed by their very attentive staff. The Venue itself was as well, the staff was readily available for questions, kept the audience within boundaries (kindly) during the concert, helped keep the extensive line to the merch table in lanes that didn't interfere with the crowd or access to the bar and were quick to show presence when things were starting to get unruly, not interfering, just being near so the crowd calmed down once eyes were on them... Very well handled. Absolutely recommend The Fillmore as a safe venue to enjoy a show, even if the show is sold out and the building is at capacity, will definitely be back

Great venue smaller version of the big amphitheaters so your up close to the entertainment of course save your money if you want to sit down in your seat because the whole place stands sound system is awesome food and drinks are super expensive you would want to eat before you get there the food is good but pricing is off the hook parking going to cost you minimum 20 bucks but all entertainment is expensive now so it falls in line but on the high side presentation was great staff was helpful felt pretty safe in and around venue been here many time over the years would recamend to all with the notes I left in this review so you know what to expect
Clyde M — Google review
Their website specifically states that they allow bags under a particular size limit, but if they are not clear they will just have additional searches. After waiting an hour in the security line, I am told that they only allow clear bags and I need to go put it in my car or throw it away. Their website states that concessions offers free water and there are water refill stations all over the venue. There was not a single water refill station, and water at concessions was $12. The parking here is a nightmare so I prepaid for parking to hopefully be a little bit quicker. It was, but don’t fall for this trick. They ticketed me for parking without paying, double the price of the cost of parking, and it’s a very very long drawn out process to dispute that it was in fact paid for. About 30 seconds into the Jeff Rosenstock show someone tripped and fell on top of me. I was perfectly fine but security saw me fall and told me I needed to be seen by medical. I had no injuries, cuts, scrapes, not even a bruise, but they then told me that I would be a medical liability because I fell. They escorted me off property and told me they would not be refunding me for my ticket. Terrible business practice to forcibly remove someone over an event they admitted was not my fault and refuse a refund. Spent over $1000 getting here on travel, air fair, parking, and the ticket, and I just wanted the $40 I spent on the ticket back as on principal, as I got to experience essentially none of what I paid for on their accord.

Video arcade
Super Abari Game Bar is a modern spot that offers over 30 arcade games and serves craft beers, cocktails, and sodas. It's the perfect place to unleash your inner child while enjoying adult beverages. The bar features a fantastic selection of new and vintage arcade, console, and pinball games. With childhood favorites like retro pinball machines and classic console games such as Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis, it's a delightful throwback for adults.
Pinball and retro video games, aplenty they have. Star Wars, Labyrinth, River Wild—ah, the Force flows through these machines! A Jedi's reflexes tested they shall be. Two tokens, the cost of pinball is. Fifty cents it equals. But patience, a Jedi must have, for video games—just twenty-five cents they require (at least the games I played). A deal most wise! For the locals, an Insider’s Club exists. Regular play, a privilege it grants. Strong in commitment, these players must be. Young Padawans, welcome they are—between 12 PM and 6 PM on weekends, they may train. But guidance, a parent or guardian must provide, lest the Dark Side of arcade mischief consume them. After hours, the ways of the 21+ crowd, this place follows. Strong drinks and stronger competition, a true test of skill and endurance, it becomes. Much fun, this place brings. Visit, you must!

Stopped in to waste some time while I was in Charlotte and ended up spending 2 hours here playing the arcades!! Everything was so clean and well kept. There was one rhythm game that had a weird button but everything else was in great condition. Awesome selection and a great place to hang out!! My favorite was Godzilla pinball and groove coaster.

My first time at Super Abari and it felt like a dream. A ton of classic arcade games including 3rd Strike, Spider-Man, and TMNT Turtles in Time. Also has rhythm games like Jubeat and Taiko no Tatsujin. Bartenders were very friendly and helpful. One machine ate my tokens and they gave them back. I enjoyed playing Smash Bros with people. The community seems super chill and there's plenty of space in the venue. I look forward to coming back!

I had a really great time here! Lots of games I hadn’t played before. Some highlights for me were Taiko no Tatsujin, Gundam Extreme Vs, Quick & Crash, and Perfect Pour.
Bryce — Google review
I came with someone who was from out of town, took them here stating it was a nice place. But to be treated with enormous disrespect from the staff. The bartender already looked like they were in a horrible mood, and then proceeded to yell aggressively at me as I went to check out some of their t-shirts they had on display beside the bar that were FOR SALE. Saying in the loudest voice possible to leave the area immediately. If you're not allowed to go look at the t-shirts so you can decide if you want them or not, then why not put a BARRIER OR SIGN beside the bar, and not leave it wide open with a visible separation? Apparently there's some magical unspoken rule for bars that you can't go in this area that has NO VISIBLE SIGNS or BARRICADES indicating it's a staff only area. The bartender then explained how you "Don't do that ANYWHERE". So incredibly rude. The games in this place is fun so it's a real shame. But what an embarrassment of a bartender. He was also asked some questions by some people at the bar and gave really irritated and mundane responses, as if he really didn't want to talk at all. I'll give this place another shot one day, in hopes this guy was having a bad day or something. Horrible service. Great place for games, though. If you go here, don't talk to staff, just enjoy the games. I will say that the bouncer was incredibly nice in comparison, however.

Can't believe I had never been here before. This place is really cool even if you are not much of a gamer, it has a lot if nostalgia from games in the past. Lot's of games to choose from, kid friendly with adults (cause it is a bar too) I think during the daytime only. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Plenty of parking and across the street parking. Sometimes food trucks are there, but a couple of restaurants are within walking distance.
Jo N — Google review
Had such a great time here! This was my first time coming to the newer location, and I must say that I definitely enjoyed this location better than the last location they were previously. This space is much bigger and more organized, I feel. It didn't feel so cramped. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a bar and then a couch where you can play games on PS4 or Xbox. We played a few rounds of Mario Kart and loved it! There are some stairs that lead you down to the arcade. You have to purchase tokens to be able to play the games. The games only require either 1 or 2 tokens each, so you will definitely get your money's worth. They even have a few games that are "free play," which basically means it's free, and you just hop on and start playing. Came on a Saturday night around 8 pm, and it was not busy yet. They have parking around the building, but if it gets full, they do have free parking across the street on an empty lot. They did have a taco truck right outside, and you could order food and bring it inside and eat. They do have 2 tables you can sit at and enjoy your drinks and food. Overall, it was a great experience and will return. It is a great place to bring kids during the weekend from 12-6pm.

What a fun place. A true pinball lover's dream...open late. Not for families though. All pinball games are .50. $10 will give you great value. All my favorite games growing up, and in excellent condition. Set to non-expert playing parameters, too. Very clean throughout and friendly team. Beer selection seemed quite diverse (although I wasn't drinking). I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Charlotte. Beware of dirt parking lot across road when raining.

Dot Dot Dot is an upscale speakeasy-style bar and restaurant in Charlotte, offering a classic ambiance and serving craft liquors, cocktails, and curated bites. While it's a members-only venue, the reasonably priced membership makes it worth considering for those who appreciate delicious American cuisine and premium handcrafted cocktails. The establishment is known for its imaginative menu of food and as one of the premier cocktail lounges in the city.
We went on Saturday night. We made reservations for 5-7 We sat at the bar. Marissa our bartender was friendly and helpful as this was our first time here. We avoid overly sweet cocktails. I got a Spur of the Moment. It was very good. I noticed others getting it. We got and shared the deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts. Just enough food for us. Stefan was there and made sure we were taken care of. Reservations are 2 hours. We were done 20 minutes early. We wanted to respect the next reservation. Would definitely return.

This place is great Food appetizer were legit on another level The cocktail selection was big and fancy. Really good all of them. A bit pricey but definitely a recommended date night. My only complaint is the membership, which only gets you access to the bar. Which is a great bar... But there's several other great bars without a membership that requires you put your credit card number, works as a yearly subscription that if you cancel, you lose the rest of the year.... Kinda predatory. So since we're being predatory, I'm gonna complain about a lot of petty stuff as well. -Some of the staff was dressed very casual. Not uniformly. Not what I expect from a club I'm paying a membership. - bathrooms toilet was not flushed when I'm coming in. Pretty not membership worthy. - water is tap water. And the one that taste bad. You can buy 24 water bottle pack with half of one membership. What am I paying for? Anyways. Besides those predatory practice, it is a great place with great food and great drinks. Just had to speak my mind

We visited our son and he treated us to this amazing restaurant. As a speak easy the entrance blended in next to the neighboring hardware store. You entered through a plain lit hallway that opened up to an amazing space. The staff was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious; the Crispy Brussel Sprouts were the best I have ever tasted....definitely recommend. You don't always get excellent service, a beautiful ambiance, and exquisite food all in the same place. It was a pleasant experience I would recommend to anyone in the area.

I really enjoy coming here for a nightcap or just to have a meal or dessert. The bartender staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you ever do grab a bite to eat, There’s something on the menu for everyone. I’m pescatarian so I opted for the market fish which at the time was trout. And paired it with The perfect martini. The drink was OK not really my cup of tea for someone that doesn’t really like vermouth. Dessert was very good as well. I had a strawberry tart, which is perfect for someone that doesn’t want something too sweet. I do appreciate the theme of it being a speakeasy and the environment inside is somewhat low-key and classy. It sort of reminds me of the seller at Duckworths But without the jazz tunes.

Coolest speakeasy, with a discreet entrance and classy dim lighting. The food was fantastic - the potatoes had a hint of spice and crispy, the fried chicken in a tzatziki sauce was my personal favorite, and the rigatoni was perfectly al dente. The deviled eggs were a little salty but were still very tasty and well presented. Although they’re known for their cocktails, I found their red wine to be excellent as well. You absolutely have to get the donuts to share, they were so delicious!!

In the vibrant city of Charlotte, World Nightclub is a top destination for those seeking an unparalleled nightlife experience. This upscale venue seamlessly combines opulence with lively vibes, making it a cornerstone of the local party scene. Despite some concerns about crowded dance floors and restroom cleanliness, the club's energetic atmosphere and efficient entry for patrons aged 21 and over contribute to an enjoyable night out.

As a Charlotte native and a Black woman. This is NOT the place for you. The front of house staff do not consistently charge the door prices and have taken down the sign. They charged a non Black man before me $15 and me $25 even though we are both 21 years old. She would not even see my id when i showed it to her. When I asked one of the other women to clarify what the rates are after 11:30pm for men and women she straight up ignored me and dodged the question after I phrased it 3 different ways. It was discriminatory. As many other reviewers have stated the drink prices are not consistent and are over priced. The staff at the entry point and the bar charge at own discretion what they want. Two lemon drops are $35, a vodka pineapple and 1 shot is $30. A shot of low shelf vodka is $13. I would highly suggest not going to this club at all because you will be overcharged either way. Unless you patron the other surrounding bars for better and consistent pricing on drinks. And or you get into the club for free for before their 18+ and 21+ cut off period. I do not appreciate clubs that are discriminatory. There are several other Latin and Caribbean clubs to patron in Charlotte where you will have a good time and service for a reasonable and honest price.

The atmosphere was alright. DJ was cool. SECURITY SUCKS and OWNERS ARE NOT RELIABLE. Went there about a month ago, lost my Fanny pack in the crowd, it was hard to look since we were packed like sardines. After they closed I asked security if I could look and find my Fanny pack they said no. But some girls who were wearing more revealing clothing than me were able to be assisted and got their lost items back. I call the owner the next day, first they didn’t answer then when I called again they hung up on me saying they couldn’t hear. I try to call again and it goes to voicemail. I even emailed the club and still nothing. I just want my Fanny pack with my ID and other personal information. If I can give 0 stars I would cause the drinks were expensive too
Destiny L — Google review
Chaotic and disappointing. While it may boast big-name DJs and flashy events, the reality is overcrowded rooms, poor ventilation, long lines, even for VIP, and overpriced drinks that don’t match the hype. More concerning, though, is the atmosphere: it doesn’t feel safe. There are frequent reports of underage guests visibly intoxicated, young people using drugs openly, and young women passed out or stumbling without any support. It’s not the kind of place you’d ever want your children to end up. Despite the music and potential, the overall experience is mismanaged and unsettling.

Walked out of the door to the club with my drink in hand standing over the trash can getting ready to throw it away when a security guard came up & snatched it out of my hand spilling it all over me without saying a word then walked away. Extremely rude and disrespectful, he could’ve told me to throw it away and I would’ve just like what I was ABOUT TO DO anyway. Told two other security guards about it & one of them said “well you were doing something illegal soooo..” acting like I’m stupid. Regardless, rude & could’ve been handled differently then that response made it even worse. My friends have had issues with security being rude as well. Also, drinks are ridiculously expensive/overpriced.

Club’s great, but the female bartenders aren’t attentive—the guys are much better. One short girl with long black hair completely ignored me, even though I was there first. It’s frustrating being passed over for someone just because she thinks she’s the best-looking bottle girl. It comes off as unprofessional, and honestly, it’s not the first time it’s happened. As they say, the customers are always right.

The worst club I’ve ever been to. I wasted my money going to see Rata Blanca here, drinks were overpriced, the band didn’t come on until three hours late, played just one song, and then left. I’ve never been to such a bad show. We had to leave. The place has very poor management. Terrible experience. Don’t go to World Night Club
Valentina Z — Google review
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Shitty establishment, shitty staff, and insanely overpriced for a terrible time EVERY time. (coming from someone who’s been about 10+ times at this point) Don’t waste your time or money, this place deserves neither. I hope someone shuts this place down in the near future. This was the last night this establishment will ever get my money. Seriously, ya’ll suck :)

Selwyn Avenue Pub is a beloved neighborhood bar located in Myers Park, Charlotte. It has a strong following of loyal patrons who appreciate its collegiate atmosphere and relaxed vibe. The pub offers a selection of beers and serves typical comfort food options such as pizza and wings. The expansive patio is equipped with several TVs, fire pits, and a retractable awning, making it an ideal spot to enjoy the laid-back ambiance.
Their wings are incredible. Everything I tried and what others had....everyone raved over it. There is a good reason it's a local spot. They probably could use more staff but being on Easter Wknd maybe that's why. They were great but the place was slammed.

My first time at the place of business, I don’t usually do this, at this particular establishment, i just experienced discrimination mind you I’m the only black guy sitting alone, honestly the only black guy here, waiting to get served! The guy in the staff 31 shirt continuously walked past me and served ppl before and after me, even locking eyes with me and continued to ignore me! Its 2025 its all love i just know where I’m not welcomed…..

One of my favorite spots in town but….no dogs allowed on the outdoor patio seems a bit unnecessary…drove 15 minutes just to have to turn around and go home. Again, I love this place but, let’s face it, charlotte is a dog town
Carter L — Google review
Amazing food and staff, but they have no clue how to run a college football gameday. Opening weekend and you have Iowa State taking up 6 TVs, and bama vs FSU gets one. Teach your staff what to put on, it's not rocket science. Nobody in Charlotte wants Iowa State taking up 90% of the TV real estate. Great food and drinks, just fix this and it would be 5 stars.

I went here for my first time yesterday. LOVED IT. The atmosphere was incredible. Food was delicious! Definitely not typical burger and fries. I had sliders and fries and was really impressed. The front outdoor patio roped me in though. So relaxing. Want to go back for sure!

Event venue
The Cotton Room at Belfast Mill is a charming speakeasy-style bar in Charlotte, NC. Housed in a historic space that once stored cotton from local farmers, the venue exudes a vintage atmosphere with original floors, brick walls, and exposed rafters. The menu features a mix of classic and modern cocktails like the Bees Knees and Smoke and Mirrors tequila drink. This intimate bar offers a cozy ambiance for enjoying specialty cocktails, beer, and wine.
What a great place! My thanks to Thomas for telling me about The Cotton Room. And Brad for sharing his knowledge of Rye whiskey. At one point, I thought I was keeping those young men from closing up and going home. They explained that as the night goes on, the crowd files in. It did. Many young people enjoying craft cocktails. Those bartenders know how to mix. And the bar is well stocked. Great Irish whiskeys. Good rye. Quality mixers and a plethora of bitters! A shake of walnut bitters can enhance a whiskey or rye. And they have the big ice cube so your drink is chilled without getting watered down. Cotton Room is the place. Try it your next night meandering through Uptown Charlotte. It's upstairs from Belfast on Brevard Alley.

The best place to hang out in my opinion. The bartenders a super friendly and they make this place special. Chilled water is served with every alcoholic drink you order, to keep you hydrated. The drinks taste great and to top it off, the music was was fantastic. Loved it. Highly recommend!!!

The Cotton Room was a pleasant surprise, especially for a first-time visit! We stumbled upon it while exploring The Alley and decided to check it out. I’m sober, so I didn’t try the Guinness, though I’ve heard it’s highly recommended. Instead, I ordered a mocktail, and it was surprisingly delicious. The venue is a bit small, but it has a cozy, intimate vibe. As a party of three, we were able to find seats without an issue. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d recommend it for a casual and unique night out!

Climbing up the stairs and opening the door to find this cozy place made it feel a bit like a speakeasy. The bartenders were friendly and very knowledgeable, and our drinks were impeccably made. The atmosphere while we were there was very relaxed, which was a stark contrast from the boisterous bar down below. With a menu filled with great choices (including several mocktails, which was the reason we chose to come), awesome bartenders, and a chill vibe, this place is worth a visit.

Great place for a proper pour of Guinness. Tucked away upstairs to the former Latta Arcade, you will be transformed into a European pub feel. Great selection of spirits. It's very small and I would avoid this place if there is a soccer game. Unless that's your thing, you will probably enjoy the vibe. Cheers!

If you're looking for cozy location to have a nice stiff drink, look no further. Located in the alleyway - second floor - The Cotton Room is nice location is great location to catch-up with a small group of friends or just have drink at the bar. The bartenders are amazing! I made a special request regarding one of my drinks - although out of the norm for them - they had no problem with my request.

A bartender at a different bar down the street recommended The Cotton Room to me and he was 100% on point because it gave me the industry dive bar feel that I was looking for. The spirit selection was incredible and the space is definitely intimate but perfect. Shanice is an amazing bartender and super hospitable!

Theme Parks
Carowinds is a seasonal amusement park located on the border of North and South Carolina, just southwest of Charlotte. It offers a variety of world-class rides, including 13 roller coasters and attractions for all ages in Planet Snoopy. The park also features the Harbor Waterpark for summer fun and the new aviation-themed section called Aeronautica Landing with five immersive attractions.
It was a nice amusement park and water park. There are not many rides for little kids, but they have some great rollercoaster ridesplan on bringing quite a bit of money. I was lucky im 65, so I only paid 19.99 to get in. I bought a refillable drink cup for the day, which cost me 21.97. A small box of popcorn was 8.35.. parking is 35.00 vip parking is 45.00. The one good thing they did was because of the high heat, we went 4th of July weekend was any food place or drink stand you could get a free cup of water. No outside food is supposed to be allowed, but they don't check bags, so you can bring in chips or something. They are a cashless place, so have a credit or debit card with you. Also, you walk through a metal detector. You must have an ID with you. They check for someone over 21 with kids, although he asked a single guy in front of me for his, so just have it ready. There are plenty of rest rooms with no lines for the womens room, that is, people just don't like to flush the toilet, so that's something to watch for. It's a nice park, though, and I can see me going back there again.
Ingrid H — Google review
Had an awesome day! Even with the July heat, the shaded lines, fans, and free water kept us going from open to close! I highly recommend the premium dining plan. By the time you buy 2 meals and a drink you’ve basically paid for the plan. Then, you get to eat every 90 minutes and drink every 15 minutes. Going on a weekday will give you the ability to ride basically all of the rides multiple times! The staff was awesome, kind, and helpful answering any questions we had. Looking for a fun activity for the family that is outdoors and away from screens? This is a great option! We brought a big group our church and had a blast as well! Overall, I’d highly recommend this amusement park if you’re into thrilling rides, good food, and a great time with friends and family!

The park is spotless, with well-organized entry controls, and the variety of roller coasters is fantastic — each one feels like a completely different experience. I managed to ride almost all of them! They have great promotions, plenty of food spots, drink stations, and souvenir shops spread throughout the park. The staff is super friendly, and the park itself is huge, full of history, and perfect for a full day of fun.

Updated review 10/10/2025 for Scarowinds attractions. Would give zero stars if it was an option. Person at the Scarowinds ticketing booth sold us the express passes telling us that it was once for The Conjuring experience and unlimited for the rest of the scare zones. When we got to The Conjuring experience, there was at least 500 people in line already. We told the employee at the entrance to the line that we had the express pass. She said that the Conjuring did not have an express lane. She said they told that to people at the beginning of the park and it was wrong information. Paid $60+ each for 3 useless express passes sold as "for the main experience." This review was 2 months earlier. Great park. Has gotten alot better lately. I remember a few years ago it used to be empty and rides broke down alot. Didn't have any of that this time. Visited July 5th 2025 with family, and we had a great time. Relaxed by the water park after doing some of the roller coasters.
Nestor T — Google review
Great amusement park. Big high thrill rides. Smaller rides for kids. Events year round. Awesome water park. Crowds and higher prices are to be expected. Scarowinds is a great time too.
Travis M — Google review
Very nice park , clean and everything seems to be well maintained. All the employees I encountered were very nice and seemed to do their jobs well. All the food we tried while there was very good from brisket to pulled pork and chicken tenders. I was impressed with Fury 325 and Copperhead Strike . Both are great rides . We came on a Sunday, a very hot day and the park overall was not very busy or at least imo it wasn't, though I'm used to Cedar Point type busy 😅😅. Overall great experience at this park.
J — Google review
Rides were fun. Went early on a Saturday morning and luckily lines were not awful. Fury325 is very intense and also a very smooth. Thunder Striker is just as smooth, intense as well but not quite as terrifying 😆. Other coasters were great. Need to remember I'm too old for Carolina Cyclone, it beat me up. I don't ride Hurler anymore for that same reason. First time on Copperhead Strike - very fun coaster! Afterburn is still one of my favorite coasters of all time; it is really a fun ride!! Overpriced food was very low quality. $65 for two slices of pizza which came with a garlic bread knot. And 2 medium fountain drinks. Just excessive. I think a different food & bev model would work out better for the park. I'm sure it is challenging to manage that aspect but still, the quality should at least be satisfactory at those exorbitant prices.

The Billy Graham Library, located just a few miles from where the renowned religious leader grew up in Charlotte, is a sprawling 20-acre site that offers visitors a glimpse into his life and legacy. The library features Graham's original family home, which has been meticulously restored using 80% of its original materials, as well as his extensive personal book collection of nearly 4,000 titles.
A Powerful and Inspiring Experience The Billy Graham Library is a beautifully curated, self-guided journey through the life and ministry of a man who said “yes” to God—and let that surrender shape a global impact for the Kingdom. My husband and I were deeply moved by how powerfully it illustrates what God can do through one life fully yielded to Him. We had read that two hours would be enough time, but we gave ourselves three and a half and still didn’t get to see everything. Unfortunately, we missed the house tour and didn’t have time to browse the store as we had hoped. The food at the Dairy Barn was great—we just wish we had made it back in time to try the milkshakes! As we prepare to enter full-time missions ourselves, this afternoon spent exploring Billy Graham’s legacy was incredibly meaningful and encouraging. One of the highlights was Barbara taking a moment to pray for us at the end of our visit. That meant so much. The entire team was warm, welcoming, and clearly committed to excellence. Thank you for creating such an impactful experience.

Amazing place!!!! I love Billy Graham and I am so glad I got the opportunity to visit his library. You can sense the presence of God there, all the staff are SO WARM and FRIENDLY. The tour and experience is well organized and laid out. I would gladly come back again and again. Glory to God for blessing us with such a man and his ministry. And to all who put this together to honour his legacy which points us all to Jesus. And it’s totally free!

This is a must see! The Billy Graham Library is truly a special place. The Journey of Faith museum experience is so well done it beautifully captures the history of Billy Graham’s life and ministry. Walking through, you can see how God used his obedience and faith to impact millions around the world. Every exhibit is meaningful, and the storytelling is powerful and personal. I visited years ago and wow, that have really done a pronominal job. Be sure and check out his childhood home, which has been carefully preserved, as well as the quiet, peaceful gravesite it’s a moving reminder of a life well lived. A great tip: take a little time to sit on the back porch with a good book and just soak in the atmosphere. The setting itself is peaceful and welcoming, making the entire visit feel uplifting. Also spend some time in the gift shop as well as the cafe. The food on the cafe is really good and reasonably priced. I left encouraged, inspired, and grateful for the reminder of how God can use one life surrendered to Him and reach so many,

What a neat place! I think they moved Billy Graham’s home four miles to this location, which is pretty amazing, Rick. The people there are super friendly. I don’t know if I would call it just a library or more of an experience. It begins with a visit to the main library, where friendly staff introduce you to the site and give a short tour via videos about Millard and his evangelistic movement. At the end, of course, you get a call from Billy encouraging you to give your life to the Lord, which is a nice touch. However, some people might find it odd if they just happen across the place. The house is well maintained, although you can’t go upstairs. There are a couple of pieces of furniture that were actually in the Graham household, while everything else is period-appropriate.

Beautiful experience! I would visit again and would love to take my kids. This is a great reminder of our purpose as followers of Christ, to spread the gospel. Each exhibit is amazing and great way to share his life and all his accomplishments.

As a motorsport fan, this place is a must see. Absolutely fantastic and full of awesomeness. I had the tour and was given the pleasure of David - a man who knows pretty much everything about MASCARAS history. I just spent 3hrs in there and it was GREAT! I could have spent even longer, so if you want to see & do everything the NASCAR Hall of Fame has to offer, plan for the whole day. If you’re already a fan, you’ll learn stuff you didn’t know & for those new to NASCAR, you’ll come out of there knowledgeable in our sport. How it first began, along with Junior Johnson’s moonshine days, interactive experiences, to getting to feel the pavement from numerous different tracks. Depending on what ticket you buy, you get a lanyard with your own hard card, unlimited times in the simulator, and more! Don’t worry about lunch, The Pit Stop Cafe has an awesome BBQ sandwich I’d recommend. Upon leaving, you’ll go through The Gear Shop, where you’ll find a variety of options for a fantastic souvenir. An amazing set-up from floor to floor, clean restrooms, and friendly staff. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and sorry no drinks allowed inside. Enjoy!

It was our first visit for a birthday celebration. Reservation was at 445pm, which is before Valet is open. We parked in Fifth Third parking garage and walked to restaurant (It cost $5 to park as long as you have restaurant validate your parking ticket). We were seated at a table in the corner of the restaurant that was thoughtfully sprinkled with birthday glitter and a handwritten birthday greeting. Our appetizer, dinners and birthday desserts were incredible!! We enjoyed every single bite. We appreciate an early start to dinner...less people, less noise and we had great service. Also, we were happy to walk a block back to our car after a very satisfying, filling meal. I'd recommend The Capital Grille.

I came to The Capital Grille for my birthday dinner and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned, hitting all the right notes. The atmosphere has a classic steakhouse vibe with rich wood accents and tasteful décor — very traditional and cozy. Our waitress was attentive and made the experience even better. Overall, a great spot for a special occasion!

We reserved this restaurant for our anniversary. Due to construction on the street, and its downtown location, we elected to valet ($11). The restaurant was huge and the atmosphere really nice. Our waitress was very attentive and the front of the house manager came over to ask how we were doing. I ordered a passion fruit mojito that was delicious. I chose the scallops and lobster risotto. It was well seasoned and very delicious. My husband ordered the filet mignon. He asked for steak sauce before taking a bite, but afterwards told the waitress he didn't want it. It cut like butter he said and was seasoned too good to add the steak sauce. The restaurant presented me with a rose, gave us a nice card, as well as two desserts, a brulee cheesecake and flourless chocolate expresso cake. The menu items are expensive, although due to the quality of the food its worth it. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return again for lunch.

What a beautiful park. It reminds me of my hometown park where I used to go. It has gentle walking paths. I have ankle problems but didn't struggle at this path. I fully enjoyed the landscape. There is a big playground as well. Also has many benches& shady areas. I highly recommend this park :)

We’ve been going to freedom Park for over a decade. It is our favorite park in Charlotte when we’re visiting our grandparents. We love the athletic course that was funded by the Carolina Panthers. Every time we’re there, I have to time my youngest to see how fast she can finish it. The park is well kept and beautiful. There is a nice bathroom in the center that is usually clean. There’s a cool looking locomotive and a fun playground for younger kids. There’s also ample space for picnics, volleyball, soccer, and just playing around with your dogs. When my wife joins us, we just enjoy walking around the lake and taking pictures. I highly recommend it!

Fine dining restaurant
Located in a restored 1913 Craftsman bungalow, The Fig Tree Restaurant is a beloved dining spot in Charlotte known for its upscale Continental cuisine and extensive wine list. The menu features creative French and Italian dishes made with seasonal ingredients, such as Edisto Island Middleneck clams, seared foie gras, sautéed North Carolina trout, and grilled New Zealand elk chop.
Always the best experience. An old foodie couple who goes out to try new restaurants every week told me that their favorite restaurant is Fig Tree without hesitation. The first time I tried it, it instantly became our favorite too. I recommended it to my friends, and we had a party of 7 everyone agreed it was the best fine-dining restaurant they’d ever been to. With every bite, you can tell the chefs truly put their heart and effort into the food. Our server, Justin, added extra charm to the experience with his great sense of humor. making the evening even more memorable.

We recently celebrated our wedding at the Fig Tree - we rented out the bottom floor of the restaurant for our ~40 guests. Jane and the team were great to work with. They put together an event menu with us, and were more than happy to create custom options not typically on their menu, such as a chicken dish, lava cakes, and a wedding cake. We had looked at other restaurants with private event spaces in Charlotte, and they were all very unwilling to modify the set menu choices - we really we appreciated the flexibility at the Fig Tree! We used the outdoor patio area for cocktail hour and then came inside for a cozy candle-lit dinner, which SO delicious. The service was also excellent, as always. Thank you Fig Tree!

A Culinary Love Letter at The Fig Tree 🍷✨ If you’re looking for the ultimate romantic dining experience in Charlotte, The Fig Tree delivers in spades. From the moment we walked in, the intimate ambiance set the tone—low lighting, warm tones, and just enough old-world charm to feel like a quiet escape from the everyday. The service was flawless: attentive without hovering, informed without being rehearsed. Every course felt like it had its own story. The interplay of flavors and textures was nothing short of sublime—each bite perfectly balanced and thoughtfully composed. Truly a chef’s kiss moment from start to finish. But let me tell you—do not skip dessert. The in-house patisserie staff clearly doesn’t mess around. Every confection was a work of art, crafted with flair and finesse that left us speechless (and borderline licking the plate). The Fig Tree isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience, and one we won’t soon forget. Highly recommend for anniversaries, date nights, or whenever you want to feel a little spoiled.

My wife and I had been to the Fig Tree Restaurant over a decade ago, and we didn’t recall it as one of our favorites. However, tonight’s dinner wiped that memory away and made it into a fabulous memory. The Caesar Salad was crisp and fresh, with homemade Caesar dressing with real anchovies! The fresh focaccia bread came with garlic spread, we enjoyed amazing wines, my wife’s Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked, as was my Elk Chop, and the Crème Brûlée was delicious.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The service was great. They had numerous options on the menu that sounded great. My partner had the Chilean Sea Bass and I had the veal. Both were incredible. They have an expansive wine list and a decent selection of cocktails. For desert my partner had the cheesecake and I had the peanut butter entremet. Both were mouthwatering. If you’re celebrating a special occasion and are looking for a nice dinner I recommend making a reservation here.
Ben M — Google review
Had high hopes for this place, and Justin was amazing. It started off well with the introduction of the menus, which offered a large wine selection and 8-9 entree options along with the specials. We began with the escargot, and calling it delicious is just the start; it had flavor from the first bite to the last. The sauce was fantastic, and Justine mentioned you'd want more bread just to finish the sauce — and we did. I had the lamb loin, which was perfectly cooked, and the polenta cakes were tasty. My wife chose the sea bass, which started well, but once she reached the middle, it went downhill. It was raw and couldn't even be cut with a knife. Another waiter took it to the back, and you'd think they would cook a new one, since she only took two bites. But no, they reheated it, and we're pretty sure they microwaved it, as there was steam coming off the filet, and the mashed potatoes looked the same as what she had eaten. The fish was just placed on top of the plate and was nowhere near the quality of the original presentation. She did enjoy the mocktail mule — it was light and refreshing. I had the tequila old fashion, but unless you like tequila, I’d pass (thought I’d try something new). Big mistake. The lemon crème brûlée was okay but did not live up to the hype. Parking can be difficult if it’s busy, and they are only open for dinner. If it weren't for the bad sea bass experience, I could easily rate this as a four-star restaurant. But for that price, no one should be served microwave-reheated food.
James M — Google review
Came here to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant is located inside a historic and charming house. The wait staff were courteous and professional. We had the Seared Foie Gras and Escargot as starters. The foie gras were velvety and smooth. It was paired with the sweetness of apple and cherry. Escargot normally comes swimming in butter. Their dish comes in a creamy gorgonzola and paired with mushroom. The cream tasted surprisingly light. For main courses, we chose the Sea Bass and Elk Chop. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the sweet corn. The prosciutto add another dimension to the dish. We actually thought the few small pieces of lobster were a distraction and probably not needed. NOTE: we just spent a week in Maine last month and therefore are biased on how lobster tastes. The Elk Chop was delicious. Elk is leaner than beef but the chop was perfectly cooked to medium and not though to eat at all. The Spätzle was also a surprising side-kick of the dish and complemented the elk nicely. The desserts also did not disappoint. We had the Beignets and the Chocolate-Peanut Butter Entremet. We probably should have shared a single dessert as they are rather generous portion wise. Overall, a memorable dinner. Final note. Because the restaurant is located inside a historic house. You will very likely sit inside one of the former bedrooms converted small dining rooms upstairs with only a few tables pretty close to each other. It also means the room could be a bit noisy if the tables around you are having fabulous but albeit loud conversations.

Fahrenheit is a trendy and lively restaurant in Charlotte, offering a fusion of New American cuisine with an Asian influence. It has gained popularity as one of the best rooftop restaurants in the city, providing stunning views of Uptown Charlotte from its location on the 21st floor of Skye Condos. The establishment boasts a long wine list and an extensive selection of cocktails and beers.
High end restaurant with beautiful vibe. Food is delicious, staff is very professional, honest & friendly. I highly recommend to have reservation & have formal attire. I enjoyed my dinner on rooftop & the view was amazing from this 21st floor roof top dining area. I highly recommend sushi.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We didn’t eat here this time since we had already finished dinner elsewhere, but we wanted to enjoy the atmosphere and take in the beautiful skyline view — and Fahrenheit did not disappoint! The rooftop vibes are amazing, and it’s such a great spot to relax with a drink. I had an espresso martini, and it was one of the best I’ve had. Definitely worth a stop whether you’re coming for dinner or just drinks with a view.

Such a beautiful view and the presentation of the food was to die for. Everything on the menu looked delicious. The staff was very professional and the atmosphere was very beautiful. Unfortunately due to weather we weren’t able to sit on the patio outside, but inside was still very nice.

Only issue was that my husband’s steak came back very well done when he asked for medium well due to the kitchen was closing so they were rushing. The manager handled the situation for us. Other than that the food, drinks and service were great! Forgot our server name but she was amazing with the drink suggestions!

Hosted a corporate dinner at the Fahrenheit Charlotte in their private dining room. The pre-event planning was professionally coordinated with an emphasis on my guests with specific dietary requirements. The onsite team was gracious and friendly. The room was set exactly as expected and their AV equipment worked perfectly. The event was a huge success thanks to the great team effort at Fahrenheit. I would strongly recommend this venue to all my fellow planners!

First time in a rooftop restaurant and we had a blast. We celebrated my daughter's 17 birthday. We arrived early, bit We didn't have to wait too long to be seated, and we actually were lucky because they gave us a table outside. Emma, the waitress, was very friendly, polite and made sure we were having a great time. We liked that we could stand up and take pictures in the balcony, or go to the fireplace and sit down there and then come back to the table. The food was delicious and the price was as you would expect in a place like this. Definitely will consider to comeback.

The Levine Museum of the New South in Uptown Charlotte offers an engaging exploration of post-Civil War Southern history and the people who drove social change. The museum's current exhibition, "Charlotte: Moving Forward, Looking Back," delves into the city's evolution from its early settlement to modern times. Through interactive exhibits and diverse family-friendly programs, visitors can learn about Charlotte's transformation from a trading village to a thriving financial center and its journey towards becoming a multicultural city.
Visiting the Art Gallery of New South Wales was an enriching experience! The museum offers an incredible variety of artworks that span from classical pieces to contemporary Australian and international artists. The Indigenous Australian art section was particularly eye-opening, giving me deeper insight into the culture and history of the land. The layout of the museum is beautiful, and the space is filled with natural light, making it a pleasant place to explore. The staff were welcoming, and the free admission was a great bonus! I highly recommend this museum to any tourists visiting Sydney—it’s a great way to immerse yourself in Australian culture and art.

This is a small elegant museum, free to enter. It captures the history and evolution of Charlotte and North Carolina pretty well. It's a single floor, takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how much time you spend on each topic. Lots of images, maps, explanation of milestone moments for the city and the state that shaped it over centuries. The two key events I remember from visit are Charlotte's role in ending segregation and the city became the a leader in banking world. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Charlotte for the first time.

The exhibits of the history of Charlotte were interesting especially during the civil rights era in the mid 20th century. Although the museum was small, at least admission was free.

Wonderful afternoon learning about Charlotte's history. Free museum that accepts donations. Historical and Educational. Spent about 90 at the museum. Close to many restraunts, shops, stadiums, parking, hotels, and the airport is 8 minutes away. I loved my visit.

An exceptionally informative and educational exhibition of Charlotte’s history, present and future. Entry is free, however donations are recommended. Plan to spend at least an hour to cover material. Must see for any Charlotte resident or visitor to connect to the city and understand the evolution of Charlotte.

This was a very interesting and informative spot for me to find by chance when I was looking to get out of the rain. I read through almost all of the exhibit and found everything to be quite interesting. There was a board to leave a personal comment on which I thought was a great idea and very helpful after such an emotional exhibit. Thank you and I have recommended you to other friends and family.

I’m happy I came here! I recently moved to Charlotte and I didn’t know the rich history behind this bustling city. Excellent family activity. All staff are professional, friendly, knowledgeable. All raptors are upclose where you can actually see them. Cages are maintained and animals look happy! You walk a trail too view raptors so it's like a hike through the woods. There is a show that the staff put on. We were very surprised as the show was the highlight. Definitely will return, perfect family activity for all ages. Thank-you Carolina Raptor Center..special thanks to Alex for spending extra time with my 8yr old that asked a million questions. 🙂👍

Great learning experience for the kids. It's about $45 for 2 kids and an adult. Also 100% outdoors and shaded so bring your off or prepare for mosquitos. My kids spent about an hour and a half but slowing them down to read all the info didn't happen the whole time. I'd say you could make an easy 2 hours if you walked through and read everything. When the kids are a little older I think it'll be better bang for the buck with their attention spans being what they are.
Christopher F — Google review
The walking path is nice & shady and the birds are wonderful. The cages do seem small for the individual birds. Also, I do agree that the gift shop people were less than helpful. If I can visit again, I’ll try to come when I can go to their hospital, as I am more familiar with that end of raptor and bird rehab.
Meagan E — Google review
Well worth the price as the birds are awesome. Really beautiful habitats and love how its built into the forest. Felt like you were hiking a trail and had a wide range of different raptors. If you love seeing birds of prey, this is the place to go.

Nestled in the heart of Charlotte, The Bella Ciao is a charming Italian eatery that invites you to indulge in a delightful culinary experience. This laid-back restaurant specializes in made-to-order fresh pasta, alongside an array of pizzas and salads. Originally part of the Vapiano franchise, it has since rebranded while retaining beloved menu items and introducing exciting new options like quinoa bowls and spaghetti ice cream sundaes.
The Bella Ciao in Uptown Charlotte was able to accommodate a very large group for our private party. The restaurant was clean and the staff were prepared for the large turn-out of guests. Upon entry, the bartenders were all smiles and never seemed stressed out even during the peak time. They were all happy to serve us. We had a variety of food from deli meats and cheeses to pizzas. The pizzas came out piping hot and were delicious. Drinks were wonderful too. The staff kept the areas clean too. Overall, we had a wonderful time, excellent service, great drinks and delicious food! Thanks to the amazing staff at The Bella Ciao!

Great salmon basil pesto. Awful salmon Thai curry. It doesn't work. I accepted it when another member of my party refused to consume it. Reasonable prices. Very hot inside the restaurant. I believe their air conditioner was off. Great service on a Saturday night, but very, very loud. Possible price of popularity.. and absence of soundproofing opposite the bar. Kudos to Timothy for great service. Overall, mixed reviews. 3.5 stars

I stopped here for lunch on a weekday around 1pm. Restaurant was not busy. As a first timer, asked the waiter re the menu. She was very detailed and offered some great suggestion. I can’t remember name of my food. Service was very fast. We were seated promptly and didn’t really have to wait. We were offered bread and a variety of oils as we waited for our food. The food came out really fast and it was good. Size was good portion, anything more than this would have put me in food comatose. It’s on a busy street and seems like there is street parking. Didn’t try the desert, so can’t speak to that. Overall decent experience and will be back. Loved the fact that food came out quick which is important when you want something quick, if you need to go back to work.

This is my favorite Italian place!! All around friendliness, great bar, and seating. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. They have fresh pasta so it is so delicious!! Lots of extra cheese too! We also had Ravioli which my friend said was good. The Cheesecake looked divine. I had the Strawberry Limoncello pie which was also good. The server was great friendly and helpful. We will be back!

The food was not good at all. Recently came here for a dinner and everyone at two bites of their food. They burnt my chicken and put so much cheese on my alfredo. It’s very expensive for how it taste. The vibes were good and server was fabulous! But this is not a place where i’d personally eat at again.

I’ve been coming here for almost a decade, back when it was called vapianos. I love the free bread with olive oil and S&P. They have a great variety of pastas but the Cajun and Alfredo are usually my go tos. I enjoy the pizza as well. They have a house sangria that is amazing. Sometimes I have to add a little salt and pepper in my Alfredo but it’s probably just my preference for added seasoning lol.
Kailah — Google review
Nothing great. Average food and average service. They sat us directly next to a loud table despite the place being empty. The potato soup was really good. It had a nice texture, was served hot, was not too salty, and had a pleasant flavor. I ordered the lunch portion of the spaghetti marinara, which is one of my favorite dishes anywhere. The pasta was cooked appropriately but the sauce was very bland and appeared to be lacking the most basic of spices and ingredients customarily found in any marinara or pomodoro type sauce. I should have known something was amiss when the server asked me if I wanted spices after taking my order for the pasta. The place was clean and spacious. I would not go back.

The museum showcases mid-20th-century modern art and is part of the Levine Center for the Arts. Visitors can also explore nearby parks such as Romare Bearden Park for stunning city views and charming waterfalls.
I’m really glad I decided to visit the Museum of Modern Art. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by a friendly staff member at the front desk. She kindly explained which galleries were open and what I could explore. Since it was Sunday, I was lucky enough to get in for free—definitely a nice surprise! However, the fourth floor was unfortunately closed, which was a bit disappointing, as I would have loved to see the full exhibition. Despite that, I truly enjoyed my visit. The museum has a great selection of modern art, and the atmosphere is inspiring. If you appreciate contemporary art, this place is definitely worth checking out. I’ll definitely come back again to see what I missed!

Our family absolutely loves this library. There is something for kids of all ages, birth to 17. They have a variety of programs, story time, book clubs, etc. The architecture is inviting and beautiful. Almost everything is interactive and educational. It's also an excellent location in the heart of uptown with ample green space, restaurants, museums, and train stop nearby.

This place was amazing. The singing and dancing, then crafts for my 9 year old for Juneteenth, was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed the artwork. I loved the exhibits and artwork 🥰

I was there to celebrate the "Chop Shop" exhibition opening, where my husband's, among many other talented artists, work was being featured. It's a beautiful building and a huge space, and I was honored to be a witness to such an occasion. Thank you again to all those people who made this happen.

If you are in Charlotte, check out this museum. Students do receive student discounts. You can walk through different installations and rooms. They also have a room in which some of the artists explain the concepts behind their work. They do have multiple floors to visit, and it is a great way to connect and learn about Black history while visiting Charlotte.

So much talent on display. Great place to see art. The young lady that worked there was a bit stiff...but....we still enjoyed the museum.

Nice clean museum with modern day art collection. The people were nice that helped us. Their instructions on were to start and go was very helpful. The art exhibits was ok. I was expecting a little more historical art to go with modern collection. It seem more politically driven style art of expression. You really have to have a taste for this style. It's not a historical art museum for African American culture......not even an expression more individual thought.

Bojangles Coliseum is a historic venue in Charlotte, dating back to 1955. It has a cozy and humble atmosphere, offering a variety of entertainment options. The arena has a seating capacity of 8,600 and hosts live rock music, comedy acts, sporting events, and family-friendly shows like musicals. Home to the Charlotte Checkers hockey team since 1992, the coliseum also plays an active role in the community by contributing to various charitable causes.
We visited the Coliseum to see Disney on Ice. The parking and entry to the building was easy as could be. Finding our seats was honestly just as fast and easy. Every staff member we encountered were as friendly as they were helpful. Everything was clean and orderly. I can’t say I see this often at stadiums with such a large crowd entering and leaving at the same time.
Charli V — Google review
We visited yesterday to see Cirque du Soleil. Parking was very easy as they have many attendants helping in the parking lot. The arena is an older building so it’s not fancy by any means, but plenty of food vendors, attendants to help and everyone was very friendly. The popcorn we bought came in the boxes and it was stale, so we definately recommend getting the popcorn from the actually stand. The show was amazing and really any seat in the house is great because the way the stage is set up.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We went to the Bojangles Coliseum to watch one of our favorite hockey teams play, and as always, it was an awesome experience! The arena is clean, well-organized, and easy to get around. The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in, and the seating setup gives everyone a great view of the ice no matter where you sit. Of course, being at the Bojangles Coliseum, we had to grab some Bojangles — the food was hot and fresh, and the sweet tea and drinks were perfect. The atmosphere during the game was exciting and family-friendly, and you can really tell the facility is well taken care of. We had a great time overall and will definitely be back soon for another game. Highly recommend catching an event here if you get the chance!

First time being at this location for a concert. Arrived super early to avoid the traffic that can happen off independence. Parking was super easy to navigate (I think since we arrived super early) and were able to get parking right in front. They started letting people enter around 7 pm, and even though huge lines gathered in the front, the moment they opened the doors, the lines moved quickly and efficiently. The lines inside to get drinks or food also were LONG, but they did move quickly. The only ones where you were stuck in a bit were the bathroom lines. Those you were in there for a while, but everyone was trying to move quickly. Overall, it was a great experience here. Security and staff were wonderful, and everything was easy to locate and no confusion.

It was my daughter's graduation. I wasn't thrilled. I've had a better experience going to concerts, etc here. But this was a mess! From arrival to leaving. You have people coming from out of town and staff telling people they can't hold seats. I don't think graduations should be held here.

I've enjoyed a couple events here and love the venue. But I wanted to take the time and recognize a specific employee. Kyle that works in the box office went above and beyond to help me out so that my family and I could sit together. Kyle needs a raise!!! 😄 I'm very much looking forward to the event coming up!

This was my first show at the Knight Theater and I will be back again soon! The location is great with plenty of 🅿️ parking decks with ♿ handicap accessibility, great staff, and an amazing view from any seat in the house. I highly recommend the box seating options along the front side walls. They also have plenty of ♿ handicap accessible features like ramps, 🚻 restrooms, and elevators. They also have concessions with food, water, 🍷 wine, 🍺 beer, and more.

Legion Brewing Plaza Midwood is a popular brewery that has been making waves in the Charlotte beer scene since 2015. Founded by Phil Buchy and Newton Craver, this flagship location in the historic Plaza Midwood neighborhood offers a vibrant indoor-outdoor atmosphere, featuring trivia nights and live music. In addition to its original spot, Legion Brewing has expanded with locations in SouthPark and West Morehead St., as well as a production facility called Trolley Barn Fermentory on the west side.
Fantastic space, drinks and even better staff! Held an event here for our wedding and couldn’t have been better. Staff looked after everything, super accommodating and flexible, and remembered all the tiny details we asked for! Highly recommend! Some of the best beer in the game and a great rustic vibe with awesome outdoor space and sneaky space in back!

Shavoyah with Offline - This is a nice intimate bar. The food and beer was good and service was wonderful as well. I had the Korean grill cheese. It came out fast and hot. So delicious. I got some baked wings to go. And although they were good, I don't think it was worth $15 for only 6 wings. I wish I asked before ordering them. Its an ok place to catch a game as long at you don't care to see multiple as they only have 2 tvs. Overall, liked this place and will return to try some of their other delights.

It’s a cozy place inside, a place to relax and catch up with friends. Did not try the food. My only critique is the beer options are mostly all hop forward and there was one dark beer, whereas I prefer something in between.

Looking forward to giving this place a higher review next time we come to Charlotte. Spent $15 on a Uber only to find out it was closed for a private event. Note to business owners, Always update your social media. Completely wasted the ride cost and plans. Your decisions around private events need to take into account people’s plans and this did not give us a good impression of your establishment.

After lunch at Whiskey Warehouse, we popped right across the street at Plaza Midwood to Legion Brewing Charlotte… Upon entering into Legion Brewing at Plaza Midwood Charlotte, we were attracted to the wooden furniture throughout its premise. The tables, the bar counter top and even the wooden beams at the brewing area – they all point to a homely and friendly atmosphere here. At Legion Brewing, they bring the community together. Whether, you’re dining, chilling or even working, Legion provides a clean positive vibe for everyone to enjoy its premise. There are some daily specials/program at Legion Brewing. But we couldn’t really make out what does “Vinyl on Tap” meant or whether there was any deals. Hence, we went right ahead for some recommendations instead. This time, they had the following on tap at Legion Brewing Charlotte: Easy Drinker Penguin Pilsner Lunar Daze House Sparrow Saison Hop Forward Juicy Jay Mango Juicy Jay Tiny Dancer Hopchiller Tart & Funky Supernova (Cherry Lemon) Sparkle Party Ikimasui Gluten Free Hard Seltzer Hard Cider Dark & Roasted Slainte Quit Your Wine-ing Ghost of Kiev Red Eyes Black Dragon Wine Stone Bay Archer Roose Diamarine Marc Cellars As you can see from the selection, Legion Brewing has its grounds covered. If you’re a craft beer lover, you have the pilsners, IPAs and Stouts. There are also seltzers and ciders for those who wants a choice of gluten free. There are also wine and prosecco selections. With the non-alcoholic selection of soft drinks and kombucha, that’s pretty much everyone covered. We asked for some IPA recommendations and this time, we had a sessions IPA (Tiny Dancer) as well as a juicy mango IPA (Mango Juicy Jay) which came up to a total of $14 (with $2 tips)… For the full review of Legion Brewing, visit 2bearbear today!

This is a nicer little venue! Some places either give you an unpleasant feeling or are just not well maintained. Neither was the case here. The staff was friendly for a matinee concert with kids and things were both clean and taken care of. I hope to have more concerts to attend here.

I've been coming to this venue for over a decade and it has never been anything less than amazing! Both as an attendee and as a performer. Front of house has great levels to see the show without having to worry about people's heads in the way cuz you can always move, the bartenders are always on top of it and polite, security is top notch and attentive, and the backstage area is comfortable enough for an entire cast to fit into.

My biggest complaint about this venue is that they oversell tickets, and it was a very uncomfortable experience (not to mention it felt like a trampling risk in the event of a fire). They have sectioned off areas that are packed like sardines who are about to go through heat stroke. The actual venue was cool looking and had a nice bar, as well as a pretty good sound system. Overall, it is a decent location, but bring ice or else you will get heat stroke.

Good venue for small concerts. There are a few tables near the bar, but mostly standing room. Safe neighborhood. Plenty of parking.

We have visited this venue several times over the years, and we enjoy the unique, intimate setting every time. There is a small pit area down front that is accessed down several steps. Behind this area, there is a railing followed by several tables and chairs that are sometimes used as reserve seating. The bar is at the back. If someone you are interested in seeing is playing here—go! It is rare to get a chance to see artists at a venue like this.

Love this place. Tons of tvs. Great drink specials, check website for daily deals. Their soda is really good! And beer prices are low for Charlotte standards. Great prices! We also order chicken tender meal. Ranch, honey muster all good! Parking is little difficult, we came late at night. I’m not sure where you can park at. We found spot out front.

This a great place to get solid American bar food. Wings were incredible. The Sweet chili Thai flavor was on point. Chicken sandwich was ok. We’ve been coming to Ed’s since moving to Charlotte in 2012 - almost daily when we lived around the corner - took a hiatus after we moved to the ‘burbs but have recently been going periodically. Other than that brief Bourbon and Burgers name change that was attempted awhile back, they never disappoint.

Bowlero Charlotte offers 18 bowling lanes, a full-service American eatery, bars, dance floor, DJs & sports on 75 HDTVs. The venue also features the 210 Rooftop bar for fabulous views and Strike City for bowling. It's known for its lively atmosphere and quick lane availability. Customers have praised the exceptional service provided by staff members like Rico and Lea. The private room is recommended for parties or gatherings.
We forgot to reserve 3 lanes and the staff was still accommodating to our party. They gave us 3 lanes separated from the rest of the building while maintaining a very kind and respectful attitude. Their service was also quick. Didn’t wait long for our drinks.

Pretty decent spot for bowling. Ultimately, we had fun and it was pretty much what we expected. But I'll say some of the organization could use some improvement. We only knew our lanes were available when I went to check in on them. And while the online ordering system is great, it's pretty sporadic. We received 2/3 of the drinks from the same order (the one missing being a beer so likely the easiest to compile), which the bar was happy to give us as soon as we went to it, so I do wish I had just ordered at the bar. The bar staff were super friendly and attentive. We grabbed a pizza which was fine but I did appreciate the plates/cutter/etc that it came with making it easy to distribute. The location is great, easily walkable if you're in the area. And the wait time for two lanes itself was maybe 10 minutes on a Friday night, so definitely pretty accessible. I do wish there were a rack of available balls, as our lanes had a random variety of weights with no discernible rhyme or reason. They were out of socks the night we went, which is partly our fault for not wearing socks to go bowling.
Andrew K — Google review
Went one time on a date. Dude behind the counter was mad rude and then put us on some Mickey Mouse birthday party lane that hadn’t been oiled since 1964. Date went well though, probably because it seemed like I had never bowled before. Do not recommend if you can actually bowl.

Our lane glitched a few times and did not track the score on one game. They did not have sweet tea or Gatorade although it’s on the menu. Other than that it was a decent time.

Music is the best thing about place. Customer service is terrible. 2 people behind counter and no one took order. A third person had to come over. Then food was just sat on a side counter. I had to go back up to the line before a waiter brought it over. No hello or thank you. Tables were dirty. Lanes worked half the time. No one came to fix problems so we had to create our own ways to fix lanes. Place is NOT worth the money. Paid a reservation fee but place was half empty. Pure rip off. Food is for drunk people
Tracy — Google review
DO NOT COME HERE. came with a friend, first time here was told that it was “all you can bowl” and we could bowl as much as we wanted. Came to the register to pay at the end because they keep an open card on file while you bowl for all you can bowl?? Long story short got to the front and the stank attitude manager said the “all you can bowl” starts at 10 and they were not willing to make an exceptions even though their staff misinformed us. Manager said “well you’re going to pay the $222 today, I can give you coupons.” Told her we wouldn’t need coupons because we’d never be back. Who pays $222 for JUST bowling?? Outside of our food and drinks. Oh and they charge per person per game and for shoes. Money hungry, scam artist, stay away.

What a fun place with a lot of different food options. From gelato to candy to home decor and more. Featuring ample parking around the area too We tried the pasta place which was good. Food was missing salt but it was tasty and fresh. We also tried the dumplings place and that was delicious. 12 homemade dumplings in a spicy sauce (pork dumplings). The gelato was really good too and since you’re walking around, you are burning all the calories so you can go for more.

1st time and my Wife and I had a great time. We strolled the hall and saw what place we wanted to eat at. Harriet's Hamburgers was what we chose. Very clean, simple and easy to order and they text you when its ready. Now, the price. I take into account this is on the higher end of dining. Hence, it comes with a price. A couple of menu items and several people working and no drive through. They are 100% reliant on foot traffic whether its a live order or Doordash. So, I get the elevated price for a Wendy's style burger. However, if you want someone from North Carolina to come back. You have got to sell a NC burger. The bun was really nice, but have 1 patty, chili, Slaw and Mustard and you be famous. I'm going back to Optimus Hall, but I'll go try another place out. I would like an excuse to go back to Harriets. I won't go back for a Wendy's Burger. Sorry. I will go back for the other places to eat. One of the halls reeks of curry. I saw a BBQ place i want to try.

Plenty of options to choose from for the entire family. The bar was understaffed and we had to wait for a longer than it ought to be. Everything we got were great though. Loved the atmosphere and there are plenty of seating space inside and outside.

This was my first visit to Optimist Hall. It was crowded but it wasn't bad. There are a lot of food options to choose from. I had brisket from Noble Smoke. It was very good and the service was very friendly. Dessert was a cupcake from Suarez Bakery, also very good. What i enjoyed most was relaxing in the courtyard watching families eat and play and friends hangout. It was very relaxing.

Botiwala and Dumpling Lady are probably the best restaurants at Optimist Hall. The place is always popping and you can sometimes catch live music on weekends. The ambience is so fun and engaging, rain or shine.

NoDa Company Store is a vibrant and multifunctional space that offers a variety of experiences. The bar, which was once an artist's private residence, exudes a welcoming atmosphere with its cheerful white building adorned with murals and a spacious front porch. Visitors can enjoy the sprawling patio with porch swings or find cozy spots inside. The venue hosts art exhibitions and events while also offering a selection of local beer, wine, and bar snacks.
Amazed how big this place is. Great local beer selection. Wine down Wednesdays where wine and draft beer are a dollar off. Walkable from the light rail. No food here but you can bring food in. Very dog friendly. Worth a visit if you are in NoDa. Leah was very helpful and friendly for us first time visitors.

We came here for an informal wedding reception for some friends, and it was perfect! The vibe is super relaxed with lots of seating, fun porch swings, and a great drink selection. It felt like hanging out in someone’s backyard—in the best way. Such a cool spot to gather and celebrate!

This is such a neighborhood staple and they are such community builders. It’s easy to strike up a conversation, share a table and make a new friend At this dog friendly outdoor patio bar. The inside space where you order is not so big, but there are plenty of places to sit in front, in back or on the side of the house. Everyone’s favorite seating are the swing chairs!!

OK… If you’re in NODA Area and are looking for a place to meet up with friends or just hang out for a bit this place has some of the most incredible vibes. I’ve been to in quite a while. This is the go to place in Noda believe me you’re not gonna be disappointed. There is plenty of seating area inside outside or swings. There’s all kind of private area that you can go to the place is comfortable and it’s under a new management as of two months ago… We’re talking about July 20 25? Anyway, the picture of these two guys behind the bar, one of them is the owner or possibly both of them and they give out samples of beer and the service is great and the atmosphere is just freaking off the charts. I met my son here we played some chess and had a great talk this place should’ve been crowded the next time you’re in Nordone just do yourself a favor and check it out. Have a beer and a good discussion

Additionally, the complex houses other venues such as the intimate Underground venue, stand-up-focused Comedy Zone, and WORLD Nightclub known for hosting renowned DJ sets on weekends.
Saw Glass Animals...show was great, staff fantastic. It was a little difficult to find a good spot to watch the show unless you are well over 6' but regardless, it was a good time.

The Underground is a neat venue, been there twice. I will come back but they need to do something about the cost of parking. For one, it's not listed anywhere until you scan the QR code and two, it's $23.99 no matter how long you stay. I understand a timed ticket system would cause traffic to back-up. Since the parking system is maintained by Metropolis (which also maintains Optimist Hall) couldn't this one use the same camera system? Then people would be charged for the amount of time they're actually there, just a thought.
Richard M — Google review
Went here to see the band 100 gecs live. Had a blast! The show was great the venue was great and we had a great time! Parking wasn't bad for what it is, these venues can be a little rough with parking a lot of the time. Thankfully there was a parking garage. About the show, in particular, I would say the majority of attendees probably were on the autism spectrum. However, that just added the experience and and that's the kind of places I prefer as I'm probably on some spectrum myself. I would 100% recommend going to see 100 gecs if you get the chance! And definitely recommend this venue. Really cool place. Really nice people!
Chicken M — Google review
Everything is way overpriced and although we booked parking in advance we got a $70 dollar (!!) parking ticket we now have to legally dispute. Nothing in this venue is worth the hassle, time or money.
Kirsten N — Google review
The staff are all super friendly and helpful, the venue itself is awesome even in July heat, and just the overall vibe of the whole complex is so awesome. Really hoping more of my favorite artists choose to play here so I have an excuse to come back. Also, we got seats instead of being in the pit and even being 12 rows back we could see everything and had a blast.

Awesome venue! Gorgeous view of a historic part of Charlotte with beautiful building backdrops and cool brick factory feel!! Plenty of staff helped with keeping the lines moving and very clean environment. My favorite Charlotte outdoor music experience. Loved Rise Against!!! Easy to get out of. You can stand in one spot and be able to look around the entire music and bar areas. They do need to add direction signs telling you what the areas are because if you are not vip you can't go into certain areas and security is very rude.

Discovery Place Science, located in Uptown Charlotte, is a captivating science and technology museum that offers interactive exhibits, an aquarium, rainforest experience, and an IMAX theater. Established in 1946 by teacher Laura Owens, the museum has evolved through various relocations and renovations while maintaining its commitment to inspiring and educating students and teachers in STEM fields. With additional locations in Freedom Park, Huntersville, and Rockingham, N.C.
I had an amazing time at Discovery Place Science in Charlotte! This museum is full of interactive exhibits that make science fun and engaging for all ages. We got to touch a snake and sea stars, which was an unforgettable experience! On the third floor, there’s a creative space where you can build your own projects using boxes and tape—perfect for those who love hands-on creativity and solving scientific puzzles. The second floor felt like stepping into a tropical fairy tale, with beautiful birds flying around in a lush rainforest setting. The aquarium section was also a nice surprise, and the live science demonstrations were fascinating. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the visit even more enjoyable. Whether you’re visiting with kids or just love science and creativity, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Well worth the money Time and loud noises lol I’m definitely going back to visit again

I was a little disappointed with this science museum. There was one area that was closed for a new exhibit that was coming (I know that this takes place at times), but I felt that this was geared more to children rather than people of all ages. When their main exhibit area is closed there is not much for an adult to do there. It is a well kept and informative place though.
B K — Google review
Great museum, in my opinion one of the best ones I've ever been too. Right when you walk in the frogs are incredible. I didn't even know there were that many types of frogs! The next part was more old artifacts that were super cool. Some of them scared me, spiders got something scary bout them. The top floor was really interactive for kids, with a real bed of nails you can lay on. A chair you sit on and pull yourself into the sky. If your in Charlotte, this is another must see attraction.

Really fun experience! Here visiting and it was raining so was needing something indoors. My daughter would have stayed here for 4-5 hrs if we had the time! We spent 2.5hrs and it flew by because it was so interesting and hands on. Tons of experiences and stations to do hands on things! My only complaint was the parking. There is a garage but is $17 for 2hrs or $30 for the day. That’s ridiculous when we already spent $72 for 2 adults and 1 child to enter. Parking should be included. We parked down the road in a lot that was $15 for the day and less than 5 minute walk. Otherwise was a blast! Could be a full day if you added in imax and lunch nearby.

Fantastic place to spend a day with your kids. There are countless handson experiences they can do, from playing with water, magnets, gears, building toy cars, playing music with different objects like pans. There are 3 floors full of exitement and open imagination for the kids. They have an aquarium section with lots of different species and one area where they can touch starfishs and sea urchins. Lots of interesting stuff for the little ones and the no so little as well. The dining options are really good and in the healthier side with fun names and shapes for the kids, like the “spaceadilla” with a rocket shape. We didnt had the chance to go into the IMAX shows but it was a great day at the museum. You can save $5 per person when you buy your tickets online.

Thomas Street Tavern is a funky bar in Plaza Midwood, Charlotte, offering a lively and unpretentious atmosphere. The place features kitschy decor, pub grub, live music, and outdoor patio games like Ping-Pong. It's a popular spot with ample space outside for patrons to enjoy without feeling crowded. Alongside flavorful drinks and grilled specialties, the tavern also welcomes dogs on its big patio.
This bar is absolutely fantastic! The staff truly sets it apart – the female bartender and the bearded male bartender are incredibly friendly and attentive. They consistently checked in to make sure everything was perfect, and their warm personalities made the experience even better. The atmosphere inside is unbeatable – cozy, welcoming, and full of charm with its unique interior design. The bar is well-stocked with an impressive selection of drinks, and the food is simply top-notch. I had the tuna with sweet potato, and it was a masterpiece – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. On top of that, the prices are surprisingly reasonable for such a high-quality experience. This place is a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re here for drinks, dinner, or just to soak in the vibe, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I feel like this place is a gem. Not alot of people talk about how cool this place is...for me this is a summer must! They're food is cost efficient and it's really good..most of the time I get chicken tenders and fries or the philly...the price of their drinks aren't bad either. There is so much to do here..they have 2 bars inside and outside. You can order food and drinks at both...awesome patio with booths or table and chairs. You can play ping pong, corn hole or pool. It's just a nice place to chill and see friends. A great hangout spot! Prices vary if you're buying drinks..

We had a disappointing experience at this tavern. The food was just okay — flavorless and dry — though the pricing was reasonable. We sat outside, but unfortunately, a cockroach crawled onto our table while we were eating, which made us leave immediately. Service was lacking as well; we had to go up to the bar ourselves to collect menus and call for the waitress in order to place an order. Because of these issues, I would not recommend this place.

Thank yall for being welcoming and accepting. Food, atmosphere, and service were perfect. They do not allow dogs, but they have a sign that says that, but will allow them on the front porch for you to eat and drink if it is not too busy. Highly recommend everyone stop here. Bowlero 10 Park is not your average bowling alley. It offers a combination of entertainment options for all ages, including arcade games, outdoor live music, bocce ball, and ping pong tables. The venue also features a moonshine bar and a gourmet menu with 32 craft beers on tap. With 32 lanes available, it's an ideal spot for friendly competition or hosting birthday parties and private events.
I went to Bowlero with some friends and we had a great time! There was a two hour wait so we put our names on the waitlist and went to grab dinner at Angry Ale’s down the street in the meantime which worked out perfectly. Our lane was clean and in good working order. Drinks and food were really solid. Shoutout to our server Salem for taking great care of us!

Made a reservation online for Sunday at 4:30 pm. Upon arrival, they had all my information ready and got us ready to go with shoes, everything in less than 10min. We had an awesome time! For 2 hours, we were able to play 3 1/2 games with 4 people. We ordered their Barbacoa nachos, garlic parmesean fries, and their honey hot pizza. It was ALL VERY DELICIOUS! The pizza had just the right amount of sweet and hot to it. It was very flavorful and delicious. The fries were crispy, not soggy and very fresh. The nachos were the best! They give you a generous portion with lots of meats. I honestly was impressed and very filling. We were all able to share the nachos and fries among us evenly and even had leftovers. The pizza we did have to order 2 just because it was so delicious that one regular size was not enough. Overall, we had a great afternoon of bowling. Not crowded at all. We also enjoyed a few rounds of games in their arcade spot. Not much games to choose from, but you will definitely still have fun. Also, the bartender Lidia (hopefully that's how you spell it) was amazing! She was super polite and efficient and was just a vibe. They do have a parking lot on both sides of the building with side street parking.
Jennifer E — Google review
The check-in process was frustratingly long. We had problems with the setup as well as names dropping off of subsequent games. The shoe soles were tacky. If you're an experienced bowler, that's a problem and something you don't want. The employees are pleasant, the restrooms are clean, the food and drink are good, albeit expensive. All in all, we prefer the Matthews Bolero.
Melanie C — Google review
Under new ownership! We liked that they brought the booths back and the lanes seem to be functioning better. However, the food service was very very slow and you have to order from the counter. No lane service now. Not a single person came to our lane to serve us. I think it took 45 min for pretzels to be ready. We had to retrieve them ourselves. No water. Also, it is now $10 per game per person plus shoes. The place was completely empty on a cloudy weekend afternoon! That should indicate to them that something isn’t right - I think it’s the cost. That’s a lot for some bowling with your family!!
Tali Z — Google review
They set up our area very nicely, and the attendant was absolutely fabulous. It was a fun night for all!

Love this place! Good environment for singles, couples and families. Food is delicious and the staff is amazing. Having previously managed a restaurant myself, I can’t sing Alex’s praises enough. He not only is one of the BEST waiters they have, his warmth and professionalism are the reason why folks like myself keep coming back! Example: While cleaning a table, Alex dropped everything to assist a customer who looked distraught. He misplaced an item. After they found it together, Alex went back to finish the table never missing a beat.. It really makes you feel good about an establishment knowing there’s competent staff with awesome personalities. Makes it that much more fun!
Amber — Google review
Fun enough, nothing extraordinary about it in the good or bad. Bathrooms were clean, staff were helpful & attentive Didnt love the hard cutoff for bowling times - reservation for 2 hours meant we were cut off with 3 frames to go in our last game. Understand if it's busy, or if we just started, but a bummer my gf & i couldnt finish out the last game Also didnt love the reservation was right next to another group - felt very cramped. Again, if it was packed, i'd understand it, but there were only maybe 5 groups bowling on the Tuesday we went.

Salud Beer Shop is a popular beer garden in the Noda area of San Francisco. It features over 250 beers from all over the world, as well as foodoptions like Mexican Street tacos.
Salud Beer Shop, nestled in the NoDa neighborhood. This joint is a beer lover’s paradise, serving up brews by the can and tap, wine, and they even have non-alcoholic options for those taking it easy. With seating for 5 at the bar and about 25 in the dining area, it’s cozy, intimate, and perfect for catching up with friends or making new ones. When I strolled in, the TVs were buzzing with the excitement of the Euro soccer game, making it the ideal spot to kick back and enjoy a pint and a pizza. Parking? No worries there! Just a hop, skip, and a jump to a public parking garage that’ll set you back $5 an hour. Not too shabby for NoDa. The menu at Salud is short but sweet, featuring pizza, meatballs, salads, and a couple of sandwiches. But let’s be real—I came here for the pizza, based on rave reviews from the local foodies. They’ve got a killer weekday lunch special: a cheese, margarita, or pepperoni pizza and 4 wings for a cool $15. Can’t beat that deal! They offer 11 different 12-inch wood-fired pizzas, with vegan cheese available for those plant-based pals. I asked the bartender for his top pick, and he steered me towards the “El Gordo.” This pie comes loaded with house red sauce, mozzarella, a dollop of ricotta, thin slices of meatball, salami, basil leaves, EVOO, sea salt, and a drizzle of house-made hot honey. The “El Gordo” arrived fresh out of the oven, piping hot and looking like a million bucks. Each slice was a work of art, with a slice of salami, a thin slice of meatball, a dollop of ricotta, basil leaves, and a drizzle of hot honey. If I had one tiny critique, it would be that the meatball could’ve been a bit more generous. One small sliver per slice left me wanting more of that meaty goodness. The red sauce was on point—sweet, just the way I like it. The mozzarella was plentiful, maybe even a bit too plentiful, as it turned the crust a bit greasy and soggy. And while the hot honey was a nice touch, I wish there had been more of it to really amp up the flavor. The crust itself was on the softer side, so if you’re a fan of a crispier bite, I’d recommend asking them to cook it a bit longer. All in all, Salud Beer Shop is definitely a spot I’d return to, especially with a friend to share a pie and some wings. And if you’re a beer connoisseur, this place should be on your must-visit list.

Charlotte is NOT known for its pizza but when you find a great place that its known mainly for their beer, wine and coffee, the foodie in you becomes super curious. My curiosity doesnt always favor but in Salud it always does. Their pizza is anything but typical. I recently went and tried two other pies rather than my typical tenderoni (pepperoni) but glad I got out of my comfort zone. Their service is friendly and the location is prime. Down stairs is their bottle shop where you can order and enjoy just the same as the upstairs typically known for their coffee however also has beers on tap and wine. I personally prefer to sit out on their small side porch if weather permits but the upstairs is great with all the comfy seating! Cheers~

Simply the best. Better than all the rest. I’m told they will have their license back in 2 weeks (as of mid August). The owners are great ppl I have met many times. I know they will get their business with the state resolved and this gem will continue to thrive.

Honestly, I just came here to pass the time while we waited for another bar to open up down the street. When I arrived with my friends it was VERY quiet and we kind of felt awkward when we arrived just because of how quiet it was. There was no music at all. They have a big open floor plan with plenty of seat options to choose from. From regular dining, it is tabled to a more lounge couch, sofa style. Their decorations were chic and modern, and they also had merchandise if you wanted to buy something. The only thing off about the place was that they didn't have music playing at all and it wasn't until about an Hr later when we realized they turned the music on so the vibe instantly changed after. We didn't stay too long. Just ordered a glass of wine, and that's it. I definitely would come back, though again. It seems like a cool spot to chill at if you don't feel like walking far.

Not only was this pizza delicious, but Jenna was awesome! After multiple, epically ridiculous mistakes from DoorDash (where both myself and the restaurant got screwed over), she went incredibly above and beyond to make sure we got our pizza. She was just so genuine and kind and patient. I would highly recommend this place for so many reasons, but she is the main one. :)

Lenny Boy Brewing Co. is a prominent microbrewery and tap room situated in Charlotte's South End neighborhood. Established in 2011, it initially focused on producing non-alcoholic kombucha before expanding into certified organic kombucha production. The brewery offers an array of flavorful probiotic drinks such as ginger, beet, strawberry, lavenderade, and blueberry yerba mate.

Beautiful spot to grab a drink with plenty of parking even on busy event nights. The atmosphere is superb. The plants are beautiful and I love the copper tones and warm lighting. Steven and Becca are very helpful and friendly, with lots of knowledge on the beverages with great recommendations. As someone who isn’t jazzed about sours, and prefers pale ales, the sours they have available are enjoyable which speaks volumes about their craft. I enjoy the events they have as well, especially wrestling. Highly recommend this spot for drinks, gatherings or relaxing. I enjoyed working on a small project here. I was not rushed by the associates while working on my drawings while enjoying my beers, either. I think this location elevates the environment with its intentional displays of tasteful plants, and art, and you don’t get that with a lot of breweries these days. Some breweries are very rugged and bare bones, and more production focused than presentation focused. Lenny blends their production side / equipment into the building which is subtly visible from the tap room and it adds an industrial touch to the already beautifully balanced interior of the building. They support local art as well, which is admirable.

Friendly staff, sweet indoor space with hanging plants and plenty of outdoor space as well. A top notch brewery experience! The beer experience was great as well, I had a belgian trippel, as well as a sour, and both were crisp, satisfying and enjoyable to consume. They are also somewhat dog friendly (dogs allowed outside, with a gate kind of like a dog park).

Great beers with friends here. Staff is phenomenal. Lenny boy is the next big brewery to come out of Charlotte. Darts and corn hole and boardgames. If you don't like beer they have a variety of non alcoholic kombucha. The food truck that serves here changes from time to time. Pretty big location. They used to allow dogs inside but unfortunately it's outside only now.

Fantastic. Lenny Boy may just be the best Kombucha in the world. The experience is wonderful because the staff is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The art work all over the walls is really intriguing. Oh and they have a plant show and a artist marketplace... the food is simple but really good.

Howl at the Moon Charlotte is a lively bar with a party atmosphere, featuring dueling piano shows and novelty bucket drinks. Visitors have described it as an amazing and entertaining place where the talented musical team ensures everyone has fun by including the entire bar in dancing, drinking, and singing. The diverse crowd adds to the great atmosphere, and on certain nights like 90s night, it becomes even more enjoyable.
Absolutely amazing doesn’t describe it. Literally stumbled upon this gem one Saturday night. Absolutely packed bar, and for good reason. The incredibly talented musical team is SO amazing and entertaining. The entire bar is included, dancing, drinking, singing. You can’t not have fun here! Also, ladies, I️ used the restroom and there was a lady that offered me soap the second i came out of the stall. There were bobby pins, a straightener, eye lash curlers and eye liner in case to need to touch up! Not to mention, she handed me towels the second I️ was done washing my hands. They have every aspect of service covered.

Really fun bar! There was a wide variety of people there, which is really great! The drinks were strong. The band was really good! We went on 90s night, which was extra fun! The cover was $5 per person, which was annoying. But they let the girls in our party in for free...classic. Be sure to check in on Yelp for a free cover (1/17/20)! We’ll be back, especially for the live music!

This is such a fun place! It is a dueling piano bar where you can make song requests and hear all kinds of different music. Highly recommend for a night out.

Love love love this place! The live band is incredible and the drinks are out of this world! The staff very friendly! Well worth the price and I promise you'll have an awesome time here!

Such a fun place. Loved the dueling piano's. You can make request too. Has a good selection of beer. The drummer was the best!

We had an awesome time here Saturday night!!! Played all kinds of music!! We reserved a table here!! Definitely recommend! Only downside is that my husband forgot to use our $40 gift card that came with our reservation 😢 hope we are able to use it next time! Will be back in a few weeks
Jennifer M — Google review
Loved the atmosphere, it helped that it was Halloween when I went and they were playing some classic songs. Nice drinks on the whole. Wish there was some sort of snackage, I like to nibble on something as I drink. But they allowed outside food so it's all good. Too busy having fun so I didn't get a picture. I will just have to visit again sometime soon.
Noname N — Google review
My fiance and I absolutely love this place! Once one of the waitresses see that you are a regular, they will make sure that you have a great time and are taken care of. This place has really great drinks no matter what you're in for, from beer to cocktails, and you will have a great time doing so with live entertainment.

Jeff's Bucket Shop is a lively joint that offers a variety of appetizers and pub grub, along with an extensive selection of karaoke tunes. Open until 2 a.m. every day, it promises a hilariously good time for those in the mood for some karaoke. It's the perfect place to unleash your inner star, whether you're a natural performer or need some liquid courage.
Cramped, very sweet staff. Down to earth people. Older crowd (30s) but good vibes, easy to meet new people. Tiki bar in the back is the best. A dart board would be sweet. Saturdays are busiest. Only real gripe is how expensive drinks are.
Zach — Google review
Friendly bartenders and relaxed vibe. However, when I go for karaoke, I go to sing. I explained to the KJ that my hearing isn’t the best, so I needed to know what song was before mine so that I can be ready. I came up when the song that was before mine on the list had been sung to be told I was bumped because other people had tipped him to move up the list. I was lucky to get my one song and I find this policy to be extremely rude. The bar is also way too packed and very limited seating. Went once and I will not be back.
Leigh K — Google review
If you want to do karaoke be prepared to pay at least $20. The whole place is pay to play. The manager will skip the line at least 4 times to scream heavy metal while you wait 3+ hours for your turn that never arrives.
Jeannie S — Google review
Weird vibes in there, bartender was not the most competent. Their karaoke methodology seems antiquated. The staff was nice though and we did get to sing after a wait.

⚠️NOT SAFE, WOMEN BE CAREFUL⚠️ After a few good experiences at Jeff’s, I decided to come back with a group of friends. It was over crowded with poor music choices- however, not the issues at hand. My issue is that when I excused myself to go to the bathroom, the door did not lock. Because of this, I had my friend hold the door for me. While in the restroom, someone nearly busted the door down trying to get in- which they almost did because as I mentioned, the bathroom door would not lock! When we came out of the restroom, which we were in long enough for me to use and get out asap, we were met by a rude security man saying that we had to leave. I understand that multiple people should not be in the bathroom at the same time and for good reason- but even after trying to explain the situation the man was very rude and said he did not tolerate this behavior and that we had to go. As my friend had said- if they were not there with me, it could have been anyone trying to get into that bathroom- and they would have been able to. My intuition told me to take a friend and I am glad that I did. I can only imagine what could have happened to me, or any other woman, using that restroom by themselves if someone really wanted in. I went and told my other friends what had happened and we left. The only friendly staff person we encountered all night was the taller bouncer who checked IDs as we came in. Again, I respect rules and understand that they are in place for a reason, but I was humiliated twice to almost be walked in on while using the restroom and then again when we were treated so rudely after trying to explain the situation. Ladies- this is not a safe place to come for a girls night, or even in general, especially if the doors to the restrooms do not lock. I had loved coming to Jeff’s in the past for the fun atmosphere and dive-bar vibe, but after that night I will never be back. This is not a safe environment and the staff is very rude. To the staff and management at Jeff’s: please do better.

All karaoke! They don't serve food, but you can stop at any restaurant nearby. Drinks are decent as well!
Rah G — Google review
Wowzer!! We went down the steps and stumbled upon this place and we had a damn good rocking time in this place. The vibes, energy, and people were phenomenal. The drinks were great, the bartenders were very friendly and attentive. We just found a new hang out.
BigLuke51 — Google review
AVOID at all costs! My friend was assaulted by a regular who claimed he worked at the bar. The bouncer saw this "regular" push my friend at the top of the stairs. It is absolutely unacceptable that the bouncer did not 86 this person at that moment and ban him for assault. The bouncer did absolutely nothing and continued to talk to the assailant. We were waiting for an Uber and the assailant continued harassing us as we were waiting. Before things escalated, another friend asked the bartender to intervene and tell the regular to leave my friends alone but she "didn't want to get involved" because the guy is a regular. Poorly run, poorly managed, and I would not feel safe if I chose to come here again.

The Punch Room is an intimate and luxurious bar located on the 15th floor of The Ritz-Carlton, offering a sophisticated atmosphere with only 37 seats. It's described as a glamorous spot for craft cocktails and hushed tones, making it perfect for those who prefer high-concept punches and signature drinks over loud party scenes.
Such a great find. This place is sleek, sophisticated with a speak easy vibe. I felt like I found a secret treasure in the heart of Uptown. My husband and I decided to stop into the Punch Room for a cocktail and appetizer. The host at the front door was inviting, friendly and welcoming. Kel our mixologist was incredible. He greeted us with a delicious punch sample for me and a mock-tail for my husband! We ordered a charcuterie and fois gras and they were both perfection. This place is a perfect way to start a date night or even make an evening out of it. I cannot wait to go back!

Fantastic spot. High quality drinks, great cool atmosphere, great conversation with the mixologist. Would recommend

Bob and Larry are cocktail masters. One of my favorite cocktail bars in Charlotte, and I try to frequent it as often as I get into town. Bob Peters has put this bar on the map. Walk up to the bar and take a seat (actually, you should be seated anywhere in the bar), and enjoy a tasting of the daily punch. Peruse the cocktail book, and try one of their seasonal offerings or put your fate in the hands of these wizards.
Line D — Google review
What started out as a great night end very poorly. We started downstairs at the bar and went upstairs to the punch room because of the recommendation of the bartender providence. First off the hostess was not at her stand, and we had to wait to get in. While Chelsi and Kelly were great servers when I went to take a smoke and come back. I was unable to get in once again. Once the hostess came back she literally made me wait to get in even though she told me she knew I had already been in and I had people waiting on me. Once I was let back in I informed Chelsi of what transpired and the manager Kevin came over to speak to me. After being questioned by the manager he asked me if I wanted her to be fired which I responded no she just needs to be trained properly. He gave several excuses of why she couldn’t let me in one being that she didn’t have her key which I replied that could have been communicated and there not be a problem but she didn’t. The manager continued to approach me several times even after I told him there was no way to make this right. I eventually ended up leaving and the manager followed me to the elevator. Definitely won’t ever be going back.

Elegant and intimate setting. A great place to go for a nicely crafted cocktail. Bob Peters the head mixologist is top class and can craft a perfectly fitting drink for you based on a few of your preferences. Highly recommend, enjoyed the experience.

Love this place. Had a private party here not too long ago...the staff was extraordinarily friendly and made us feel special. Incredible drinks by the mixologist, a beautiful space nice enough to be in any world class city and fantastic food. What more could anyone want? I would recommend to anyone looking for a classy night out.

Always a pleasure coming to the Punch Room. Drinks are always amazing, of course. Some may think it's pricey, but I promise the drinks are well worth it. I would suggest you at least visit and try 1 drink once in your lifetime. The ambiance is ahhhh-mazing. The complimentary punch is always a plus and it's always delicious. Bob is an awesome bartender.
Crys_ B — Google review
Without a doubt, the nicest and classiest place in charlotte. Beautiful space. They limit who they let in, so it’s quiet and private. Feels very sophisticated. The food is impeccable and the mixologist is at the top of the list. Amazing date place or if the spot to go if you want to impress a visitor!
