Restaurant
Headrow House is a versatile venue located in the heart of Leeds, offering a beer hall, restaurant, and roof terrace. This former textile mill hosts regular arts and music events and boasts two roof terraces with scenic views of different parts of the city. The large Scandinavian-style beer hall serves over 60 different ales and beers, including Pilsner Urquell fresh beer from tanks - making it the first place in the North of England to do so.
When you walk past the front of this bar you would never believe what is inside, there were a couple of security people on the front door which is on the main road and then when you walk through you go up a few flights of stairs again extremely quiet and not knowing what to expect but you get to the top where the terrace bar is And again lovely views of the city we have plenty of seating area, perfect for a sunny day with its own terrace bar upstairs, atmosphere was brilliant

Headrow House is a nice venue for Novel Notions, a community book swap, held quarterly at Headrow House. It's a simple and appealing concept: drop off some of your own books that are surplus to requirements, and get a token per book; then come back a bit later and exchange your tokens for a selection of the wide range of books (fiction and non-fiction) also dropped off by Leeds' bookish community. Search through forgotten classics, nab a new release or find a new favourite you never knew you just had to read! Novel Nations happens every few months, always on a Sunday; check out Novel Notions on social media, or the Headrow House website events page.

Great place for a summer rooftop beer in a nice day. Lively and mixed crowd all having fun and relaxing. I had not been this year yet but glad we climbed all the stairs. Good beer too 🍻

Absolutely sensational! Super drinks, atmosphere is amazing and the staff are fab, very polite and accommodating even on a Saturday night 11pm rush. Big thank you to Clint and Sioned for being such lovely bouncers - polite and kind even when you are slightly inebriated! A rarity in Leeds, so thank you guys. Amazing place, 10/10

Love this place, chilled vibes, good drink selection and off the beaten track
Jenn M — Google review
The bouncers are absolutely top class, I have so much love and respect for Clint and sinead, they made sure to save my twin brothers life by making sure he had fresh water and waited with him till his dad arrived I couldn’t ask for better bouncers than these two. Seriously they are one of a kind top notch people who deserve more than life could give.

Great place although it takes about 15-20mins to get your drink

Downstairs bar was shut when we came so cannot score that. Roof top bar was ok mid afternoon, mid week. Beer selection limited but what do you expect for a roof bar. We like it here even on an overcast day.

Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen is a vibrant three-floor venue in Leeds' Northern Quarter, housed in a 1930s building that was once a nursery school. It offers live gigs, comedy shows, film screenings, and art exhibitions. The space includes fast food options, two bars, and a unique rooftop terrace with colorful picnic tables and lush plants providing shade and cool views of the surroundings.
Food awesome, top selection of food truck choices of pizza, wings and burgers. Lamb pizza off the charts. Often queues but good things come to those who wait. Great beer, good selection of seating options from beer keller style tables, to sofas to rooftop booths. Family friendly during the day. DJ appears to be in all days, good tunes so good vibes, laughter and chats for all. From IPA to cocktails so good drinks choices at reasonable prices. Gig venue upstairs, compact but perfectly formed. Been to both standing and seated gigs. Never had a sofa for a gig before. A revelation!

Enjoyable meals and excellent food. All worth it. Try something different. Price is good on the pockets too. The food is very good and good for family day out. The flavours are amazing. You have to try it and see for yourself. The price is also not bad. I would recommend.

Absolutely brilliant venue, not far from the A64 road from York. The venue itself has a large stage, awesome PA system with plenty of of big fat round bottom end. I attended the Boogaloo student night hosted by DJ Becky Webb. It was awesome. She kept the place rocking till 3 in the morning playing all sorts of classic tunes from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, creating a fabulous party atmosphere. Highly recommended and will attend again, very soon.

Attended the Rival Consoles gig here last week, and honestly surprised I haven't been here before. Venue was a good size, had an excellent quality sound system and staff were all friendly. Drinks prices seemed to be reasonable and downstairs area looked to be very busy and food smelled great!

Took my team here last night to celebrate a great year. The staff were incredible. The food was heavenly. The venue, exciting, fun and expertly managed. And the drinks were beautiful. We had such a good time. Thank you so much ❤️

I recommend this place! First time being there on Saturday to be a support act for someone's gig, the vibe was good🙌 the rooftop was amazing and the overall atmosphere was great!

The hamburger is excellent but the fries regular. Good selection of beers and they usually have good music and Djs.

Such a good bar, been coming here for years. Always have amazing artists on, a great platform for smaller-med performers. Sound system is one of the better ones in Leeds. Tad expensive but so are all bars! Thanks. Can choose between a loud environment or a nice quiet one to chill and have a chat. Terrace is lovely too.

Green Room is a popular spot in Leeds City Centre, known for its North Star coffee options and non-alcoholic beverages. The bar offers a laid-back atmosphere with industrial fittings and reclaimed furniture. It's located in a historic building near the newly renovated Majestic Building and Channel 4 HQ, making it an ideal place for daytime remote work with laptop-friendly spaces.
Visited here on many occasions. The service has always been excellent. The beers on tap are superb and the cocktails are fantastic. The food is wonderful and for a city centre bar, the prices are reasonable. On my last visit, a lad called Ben served me. He had a great attitude and couldn't do anything more to help. Lovely fella.

We visited Bastards Bistro on Sunday 5th October for a Sunday roast for a group of seven. We ordered seven roasts and didn’t mind waiting a bit, given the size of our group. However, around 20 minutes later, a single board of roast arrived with only four plates, leaving three of us without food or plates. We weren’t told that the board was meant to serve four people. In fact, based on the small portion size, we assumed it was for two. We waited quite a while for the rest, but nothing came. Eventually, we had to get up and ask at the bar, and a staff member came over to ask how many people were still waiting, which was surprising given that three of us clearly didn’t have food in front of us. She later explained there had been a mistake with how the order was entered, and that the remaining food would be out soon. When the second board finally arrived, we were told it was meant to serve three people, which was shocking, as the portion size was incredibly small considering the roast costs £20 per person (so £60 for the tiny board). As you can see in the photo I’ve attached, the board for three was tiny, missing parsnips (which were on the other board), and the beef and Yorkshire puddings were cold. To make matters worse, there was just one small, pathetic bowl of green vegetables supposedly meant for all seven of us to share, completely unacceptable for the price and number of people. There was no apology, no compensation, and no effort to make up for the situation. Overall, this was the worst Sunday roast we’ve ever had. Overpriced, cold food, and service that completely missed the mark. Would not recommend.

Visited The Green room recently on a function. There was a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly. Polite and very efficient. Olivia the girl behind the bar offered great customer service and very helpful with choosing cocktails. The place was clean and in a good location. Would definitely recommend.

Booked for Sunday lunch at 3pm, arrived and stood just by the first tables, got ignored for 3 minutes by the same waitress so just headed to the bar, were told our name should be on some paper as we can sit ourselves then order at the bar (no issue). We looked but there was a small mix up so our name wasn’t anywhere so we waited for a table to clear and then the bar girl said we could sit. The so called manager was apparently the girl who original ignored us and refused to speak or sit to us, but instead communicated to us through the bar girl (very strange). We then waited 40 minutes it was for food (which isn’t too much of an issue) but noticed there was no link between kitchen and bar, and they seemed to not communicate at all, we had to ask for cutlery twice and you have to order everything at the bar (which is quite busy so takes a while). The food was okay, personally would expect more when they charge 20£ per person The service was trully atrocious and all the staff seemed unbothered and quite frankly hungover, apart from the lovely auburn haired girl that was behind the bar! (Shoutout to her)

We really enjoyed our afternoon in the sun on the terrace. There was a lovely atmosphere and we made some new friends. .We were served by Meg who was very friendly and efficient and made us the best cocktails we’ve had for ages. If you’re ever in the city centre we would definitely recommend the green room. 😀😍

Sky Lounge is a luxurious rooftop bar and lounge located on the 13th floor of the Doubletree by Hilton Leeds, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city and Yorkshire. The sleek interior features floor-to-ceiling windows, while an outdoor terrace provides a breezy atmosphere. Guests can indulge in decadent afternoon tea, bottomless weekend brunch, or crafted signature cocktails from day to night.
We visited the Sky Lounge to catch the sunset, but the clouds had other plans. The views from the lounge did not disappoint, absolutely breathtaking. Both the views and atmosphere were incredible, making up for the missed sunset. The indoor area was too crowded, but given that it was a Saturday evening, that was to be expected.
Savvy — Google review
The moment I stepped into Sky Lounge, I fell in love with the vibe of the place. Lovely atmosphere! Being on the 13th floor, it has got great views of the Leeds city. There’s plenty of outdoor seating on the terrace along with ample indoor seats. The soft music playing in the background blended perfectly with the cheers and laughter of the guests. Speaking of the tea itself, we opted for cappuccino and were served a great assortment of finger sandwiches(which was very fresh), lovely scones and a beautifully curated selection of desserts. Had an awesome experience. Highly recommended!
Aditi D — Google review
Had afternoon tea at Sky Lounge on July 17, 2025. The food and cocktail were okay, and the view was decent. Service was super friendly and attentive, but overall it wasn’t the best afternoon tea I’ve had. I enjoyed it, but not enough to come back or recommend it. I’d probably try somewhere else next time.
Angela M — Google review
Sunday afternoon tea at Sky Lounge was a lovely experience with my OH, which we'd booked through buyagift. Booking was easy by phone and we were sent a text reminder the day before to confirm our booking. Had a beautiful window seat and service was friendly and efficient. Our finger sandwiches were excellent and probably the highlight of the afternoon tea. The Mango and passionfruit torte & the White chocolate raspberry delice were sublime. However the Mini chocolate fudge cake and Clementine tartlet were slightly stale and tasted like something from a poor supermarket bakery. The scones also didn't seem fresh and were heavy and brick like, rather than light and fluffy. They were saved by the Bonne Maman strawberry jam and the clotted cream. Great views and a chilled vibe. Would definitely consider coming back. Although as the sweet offerings were a bit of a mixed bag, we both agreed that a savoury only afternoon tea might work better, with a greater selection of delicious sandwiches or other additional savoury items instead.
Graham M — Google review
Located on a high floor, the lounge provides panoramic views of the city, creating the perfect backdrop for a drink or casual meal. The ambiance is sophisticated, with comfortable seating and a contemporary design. The cocktail menu is creative, featuring expertly mixed drinks, while the small bites are flavorful and well-presented. Service is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant visit. Whether you're unwinding after a long day or enjoying a special evening out, the Sky Lounge at Hilton DoubleTree is a fantastic choice.
Aly — Google review
Been twice for bottomless brunch and both times has been good Service has varied, the first time I went the service couldn’t be better however the second time the service was much slower. Like most places it depends on the server and the day I had the chicken and waffles dish both times (larger tables have to pre-order well in advance) and it’s ok. The chicken is good but the dish is very dry. It does come with a syrup however nowhere near enough. Portions are small but in a place like this it is expected however you do expect better quality to compensate
Eleanor N — Google review
Highly recommend the brunch. Excellent value for money, top variety of drinks. Jessy our server was outstanding and catered to our every need. Also A blonde tall lad with longer hair curtains ( I didn't catch his name) are a credit to your team. Good atmosphere and tunes also! Keep up the good work and thanks again ☺️
Olénka S — Google review
Review: Hilton Sky Lounge - Leeds Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ The Hilton Sky Lounge in Leeds offers a unique and sophisticated setting for afternoon tea, with impressive views of the city skyline. While the atmosphere is undoubtedly charming, the overall experience falls somewhat short of expectations. The afternoon tea includes the traditional scone, which is delicious and served with a generous helping of clotted cream and jam. The sandwiches are also enjoyable, with a decent variety of fillings. However, the standout elements of afternoon tea stop there. Unfortunately, the cakes included in the afternoon tea are rather plain and uninspiring. They lack the creativity and flair that one might expect from a venue of this caliber. As a result, it's not uncommon for guests to leave these sweet treats uneaten. The service at Hilton Sky Lounge is satisfactory, but it doesn't stand out as exceptional. While the staff is polite and attentive, the overall experience lacks the special touch that would make it memorable. In summary, the Hilton Sky Lounge in Leeds offers a pleasant setting for afternoon tea, but the experience is marred by plain cakes and standard service. With a few improvements, this venue has the potential to be a fantastic destination for afternoon tea. For now, it earns a 3-star rating.

I had a fantastic time! Daisy was absolutely brilliant, guiding us through the menu and making sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were spot on, especially the Hipflask Sloe-Ja, which packed great value for the price. The atmosphere was buzzing, and everything was spotless. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing vibe. Food was so good and atmosphere 10/10. Drinks were spectacular. I felt like I was in a science experiment 🧪. Gave 4 stars on the service because we got give chicken bao buns twice when we asked for plant based ones. Other than that definitely recommend!!

Me and my partner came here for a few drinks on our anniversary and had a phenomenal time! Many thanks to our server Connor he went above and beyond with providing us with the best and genuine customer service which made our experience so much greater. He answered our questions with confidence and such enthusiasm which made it a pleasure to speak to him!! The drinks were fab as well, he made sure to tell us what to do and what was and wasn’t edible in the drinks such as the French kiss. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant was spot on as well and beautiful views from the rooftop terrace.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at *The Alchemist Trinity*, and I must say, it was an experience worth remembering. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the entire evening. **Food**: The food was simply fantastic! Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with rich flavors and fresh ingredients that truly stood out. Whether you’re a fan of classic dishes or looking for something a bit more creative, the menu offers a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes. I was particularly impressed with the presentation of each course – it was clear the chefs take pride in their craft. **View**: What truly elevated the experience for me was the stunning view. The restaurant offers a fantastic vantage point, perfect for soaking in the surroundings while enjoying your meal. Whether you visit during the day or at night, the view adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. **Service**: The service was top-notch. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything was just right. They made me feel welcome and comfortable, without being overbearing, which added to the relaxed ambiance of the evening. **Music & Atmosphere**: The background music was well-chosen, adding a vibrant yet laid-back feel to the restaurant. It wasn’t too loud, which allowed for easy conversation, yet it created a great mood throughout the night. The decor itself was modern yet cozy, with subtle touches that made the space feel special without being overwhelming. Overall, *The Alchemist Trinity* is a wonderful place to dine, whether you're looking for a casual evening out or celebrating a special occasion. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a captivating atmosphere makes it a spot I would highly recommend. It’s well worth the price, and I can’t wait to visit again!

Mine looked nothing like it did online, it was pretty disappointing,. . French Kiss was a lovely cocktail, although.. at no point did the bar man tell us that the tongue in it wasn’t edible!! Cue my partner swallowing it. Should probably notify guests of this. He’d had a few drinks previous to this and just presumed it was a sweet tongue covered in popping candy. We laughed when I asked and was told it wasn’t. His own fault. But a little dangerous nonetheless.

Guests can unwind on long picnic benches while savoring a wide selection of beverages including 18 lines of beer and cocktails, along with delectable pub-grub such as hand-stretched pizzas.
Really nice atmosphere at this venue. Visited there to meet with friends briefly before travelling. Very knowledgeable staff who recommended a sour beer based on flavours I liked. Never had one before but I am sold now! Lots of independent brewery drinks are stocked here so beer, ale and lager afficionadoes there will be something for every taste. Close to station for those who need to get on a train quick. I will be back again and spend more time.

Drinks were decent prices and atmosphere was really good, relaxed but upbeat. One of the staff members came off a little hostile but everything was run really smoothly and we felt attended to without being bothered. Tuesday Pub quiz is £1 per person, hosted on SpeedQuizzing. Was a good length and a great time, maybe just needed a bit more variety of topics!

Came to parkside tavern for a bite to eat and a drink. The staff were lovely and accommodating. After ordering food, a table next to us claimed it was theirs and were quite unpleasant, the staff did everything to rectify the situation and went above and beyond. It's unfortunate some customers will be unpleasant and take advantage of a lovely establishment. But the staff at parkside tavern were beyond kind and helpful and really did their best to fix a bad situation caused by shoddy customers. I've come here a fair few times and every time has been a great experience. 10/10 service and atmosphere :)

Lovely pub. Go for it! Great atmosphere, service was quick and staff were very friendly. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends, watch games, or just go with your partner. The pizza was delicious and didn't take long to be ready, so definitely good for a bite while having a few pints. It's not very big, but as we weren't very hungry, we got 1 to share between 2. Also pool tables are very well look after. I recommend giving it a go but if you wanna play it, you need to book in advance. At least one day before

We recently hosted our company’s summer party at Parkside Tavern, and it was an absolute hit! From the moment we arrived, the staff, particuarly Tara and Sophie made us feel incredibly welcome and attended to our every need with a smile and enthusaism. The catering was top-notch, offering a delicious array of dishes that catered to all dietary preferences and the bar service was equally impressive, One of the highlights was the seamless organization and attention to detail. The event coordinators were professional and accommodating, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. You won't get better vaule for money for a private event anywhere else in Leeds.

Stumbled across this pub on a Sunday morning and enjoyed a few drinks and pool. A lovely pub but the out side is ruined by tacky advertising on the front of a lovely building. Staff weren't sure of the buildings history which is a shame as it has the look of tudor styling on the front. The pool tables are pay by the hour which is great but unfortunately at £12 an hour I think it was time to spend some money on new baize and cues. The lack of attention to detail gives all the signs of chain pub management and while the website it all flash and glossy, the gloss wears off very quickly and needs maintaining. We went to go back on Monday to show it to someone in the group the pub but the pub was closed but had times on the front saying it was open at 15:00 on Monday so we went back at 15:30 to fi d it still closed, never thought of checking Website as this states pub is closed.

This was a great pub to drinking at, with a throwback and flashy design! The counter is well-presented, staff were welcoming and seating is good. I had a pint of Budweiser, although it is somewhat expensive at slightly over £5 and the pool table was fun however.

Roland's Leeds is a hidden gem rooftop bar with an intimate and chilled atmosphere, offering seating for just thirty guests. It's known for its unusual craft beers and expertly mixed cocktails, making it one of the top 50 cocktail bars in the UK for 2022. Nestled in the chaos of Call Lane, Roland's provides an oasis of calm, featuring a small rooftop terrace where visitors can enjoy a wide selection of beers and real ale.
A superb cocktail bar nestled in Leeds. A really wonderful ambience, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and exceptional cocktails. The Root Cause is one of the very best drinks I've had the pleasure of tasting. Their whisky of the month is also a treasure, whereby you can taste incredible drams for cost price. I'll be returning here.

Stumbled upon the place and it was such a great cosy intimate place for a drink.

Went for Homeboy pizza. Didn’t disappoint, however some slightly disparate toppings. We had the pizza with pepperoni, everything bagel seasoning and honey. Great crisp on the cheese and base, nice dough and good quality ingredients. I’m not sure what the everything seasoning added (and I am a big fan of everything bagels) but it didn’t detract.

A really great bar. Firstly they are very dog friendly. People friendly too. Excellent selection of beers. The cocktails are great!! Had a small cocktail challenge between two of the wonderful bar staff who made our drinks. Very difficult to choose a winner (actually easy - we were the winners). Give this place a visit if you are in the area - superb

Angelica & Crafthouse is a stylish and modern brasserie located on the sixth floor of Trinity Leeds, offering panoramic city views from its wraparound terrace. The glass-walled restaurant features a small terrace menu with delectable options like chargrilled tiger prawns, roasted garlic arancini, and a charcuterie board.
On the sixth floor of the Trinity arcade shopping centre. The two additional flights of stairs are well worth it. Fantastic views of Leeds. A wide range of cocktails and a few beer options thrown in make it a great place to stop by if you are close. I opted for the Pinky Promise cocktail, surprisingly came with candy floss.

This is in the heart of Trinity. A really fancy looking restaurant for celebrations. Service was prompt. Food was a bit of a let down with the taste but the dessert was divine. Good price for a three course meal, would be nicer if a drink was added.

We had a great bottomless brunch last week! I had to leave a review just because every single member of staff were so great! From bar to the runner staff and management, they really made the afternoon lovely and we will definitely be returning because they were so attentive and pleasant.

We have been here quite a few times now and like to visit on a Thursday or Friday afternoon before the weekend crowds descend on the City centre. On our last visit we ordered a selection of nibbles to put us on and I think the choices we made were perfect . We especially liked the cod cheeks. John doesn't like Oysters but I couldn't resist the offer that they had on of 6 Lindisfarne Oysters and 2 glasses of @nyetimber for £34. The oysters were the biggest I have ever seen and they were yummy. Angelica's has a great happy hour that is actually 4 hours long. My favourite was the frozen pina colada and John opted for the frozen strawberry daiquiri. It's so nice to sit outside on the rooftop terrace and it's not a problem if it's a little chilly as there are heaters under the parasols.

Very nice place with good terrace view on Leeds. Inside restaurant looks pretty and modern. Perfect place for date. Staff are friendly and desserts is tasty. You can feel full flavour of food what you order. Defently will come back on next visit in Leeds.

Noticed this place by accident looking through the roof of the Trinity shopping centre. What a lovely time we had. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. I loved the chilled out music. Excellent service from Charlotte and amazing food. I had fillet steak which was cooked just how I like it and was very tender and tasty. Will definitely be going back again.

What a fantastic place for a summer’s afternoon! Sat outside with the views is the perfect retreat from the city bustle and the planes passing overhead add a nice yet unobtrusive mix to the environment. Decor is brilliant, staff are super friendly and helpful and everywhere is clean. The menu choice is varied, with prices not too ridiculous, and they are willing to make up drinks not listed on the menu. It’d be difficult to ‘stumble’ across this place, but if you’re looking for some nice relaxing drinks in a sophisticated setting I’d highly recommend navigating the crowds below to visit.

A really fantastic bar, great food, and incredible service from staff. The host is always warm and welcoming, as are the wait staff. The food offerings are good, although starters were ever so slightly lacking but perfectly suitable for a bar. I highly recommend speaking to Zoe for any requirements and thank you for wonderful visits.

Angelica & Crafthouse is a stylish, contemporary restaurant located on the 5th floor of Trinity Leeds, offering stunning views of Boar Lane and the surrounding area. The restaurant serves a British menu featuring chargrilled dishes and fine wines. With a dedicated Christmas menu, à la carte options, and seven-course tasting menus using high-quality ingredients from local providers such as Ginger Pig butchers in North Yorkshire, guests can enjoy an exceptional dining experience.
I had a beautiful experience and I will definitely revisit. Getting off the lift, the reception from staff and atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. I enjoyed all the meals I ordered and also tried the cauliflower steak (it was my first time trying a vegetarian dish and it was delicious). I also loved the idea of savouring my meal while seated in a room filled with plants. If you really don’t like plants you might be a bit uncomfortable as this location could pass for a beautiful greenhouse.

Angelica & Crafthouse is a charming venue for celebrations, offering a delightful atmosphere and an excellent location. While the food is of average quality with small portions that lean towards the pricey side, the overall experience makes it worth a visit.

Stunning food, great service. We had a fantastic experience. We asked to share our starters, no problem at all. We had asparagus and the scallops. Both beautiful. The lamb was beautiful too very tastes and cooked medium rare which is just how I like it. I am sure they would cook it to your preference. , I had it with the blackened carrots. Cod was so chunky too and cooked to perfection. We were so full but we had the cheeseboard and again it was delicious and even put on extra crackers! Lovely birthday and anniversary treat we Will definitely be back Thank you!

My partner and I visited for the first time a couple weekends ago and we absolutely loved it! Staff are welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely. For starters I ordered the asparagus, which I had never tried before and was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend ordered the mackerel, which was a tiny bit salty for his own tastebuds but still really enjoyed. We had the steak and the duck breast for mains and both dishes were incredible. Sticky toffee pudding to finish and wow! So delicious. The staff even brought a complimentary glass of champagne and small pudding for my boyfriends birthday. The attention to detail at craft house is immaculate. We both absolutely loved our experience there and cannot wait to go again.

Well, can I give a sixth star? What a great night we've had at Crafthouse, the welcoming, the venue and the care we received from the staff was very professional throughout the all experience. I booked for my girlfriend birthday celebrations and left a message due to dietary requirements, few minutes later I received a phone call from reception and they reassured me that all our needs will be met, she was right! The menu is great, and the execution of the dishes was faultless, superb so was the quality of the ingredients and the presentation. The floor staff is very knowledgeable and caring, all I have left to say is that I'll be dining at Crafthouse over and over again, I can't wait!

Sara C — Google review
Sadly I think that Crafthouse has gone downhill. I have visited multiple times over the years that it has been open, but I think this will likely be my last visit. The food was good, and the staff all very pleasant. Portions were good, and the food was good value for money. However, for a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide I would expect a higher level of service. The main issues seemed to stem from a very disjointed link between the drink orders and the food orders.. For example we ordered cocktails as an aperitif, yet they arrived during our first course (having an ice cold cocktail to accompany hot soup is just not good enough). Our butter was taken away before we had finished our bread, we asked for a second bottle of water that never appeared, and the heavy bass/noise from the bar upstairs did come across more as noise as opposed to atmosphere. It's not a bad place to visit: the food was on the whole very good, but overall the experience was not worth the money and it's the first time I have ever asked for the service charge to be removed.
Gavin B — Google review
You need to know where you're going to find this place as hidden away. Set on the 3rd floor you take a lift and are met by staff. We sat outside as a lovely night and it was very pleasant. We asked for cocktails and placed our order saying that we didn't want starter until cocktails finished. They came when we were still only halfway through 🤨 Then we were almost onto our main course with no bottle of wine and had to remind them. Starters of tuna tatiki and the asparagus were very good. Mains of duck and the stone bass also good but I wasn't keen on the celeriac sauce . The extra chips were great and could have had more of them. A nice bottle of rosé completed meal and it came to £140 with surcharge. Nice staff but just wish they'd listened to our request.

Located on the top of Leeds' Victoria Gate shopping center, Issho Rooftop Restaurant & Bar offers a contemporary and airy setting for enjoying Japanese izakaya dishes and cocktails. The restaurant features an open kitchen, warm wooden floors, and sculptural features.
Had a wonderful time here about a week ago for my boyfriend’s birthday. It was my gift to him and so I had high hopes and Issho did not disappoint. The food was incredible, service was fantastic (obviously a strong team all supporting each other), and the wine and sake pairings really pulled the experience all together. A real treat and would definitely revisit next time we’re in Leeds. Because we booked via Virgin Experience Days, the service was taken off the bill automatically but we paid 15% of the actual value of the meal in cash as it was so well deserved.

Impeccable food, drink, atmosphere and rooftop views. Superb sushi. Can’t rate the food and service highly enough and will definitely return. I’ve posted some photos which speak volumes. There are only two very small points of caution. We visited for lunch and had the set menu which was great value for such high quality, BUT we really felt the drinks when it came to the bill. As a party of 5 we had 5 water refills at the table and didn’t realise we were drinking and paying £5 for still bottled water. Plus the wine was pretty expensive, so we ended up paying more than double the food on drink, despite drinking fairly modestly. Just watch out for the water if your server doesn’t make it clear what you’re drinking and be prepared for a chi chi city centre drinks price tag. We paid £57 per head without service having had the brilliant £22 for 3 courses lunch menu All that being said, don’t let that put you off. It is wonderful and I’ll definitely go back. The lunch menu is fantastic

Disappointed. I have been to issho so many times last year and it was amazing. I booked a table for 2 today and it’s raining so bad that our jackets were wet. The reception staff took my jacket, accidentally dropped it on the floor with no sorry given. Whatever, and then she put my jacket with a wet jacket on the same hanger which caused the inside of my jacket wet as well. What a brilliant idea! We ordered a sushi platter, and the color of tuna is so disappointed. I genuinely thought it was another kind of fish. The whole night, no one came to check our table once when the table next to is has been checked at least twice and I need to turn around to ask for more water. The colleagues have explained that they do not always get the same kind of tuna and the floor manager was really helpful and polite. But still, It could be so much better……it’s quite obvious how bad the color was this time compared to previous….

We went here on a Saturday night, all of the food was delicious, our favourite dish was the crispy beef! The staff are super friendly. We had a very enjoyable time. We would also recommend the Dragon Tiger sushi and the Pork Bao buns! However for the spicy pork buns they could’ve been more spicy. It was £74 for all of this (pictures included)

An amazing meal, very well presented and very tasty. We ordered the Emperor Menu for 3 people and it was very good there were many dishes to try including sushi, Bao Buns, Squid, Steak and even more. Every dish was amazing it continued to get better after each one. I don't think I could pick a favourite as it was just that good. The waiters were very attentive and professional too, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back again.

Wow where do we start. Our waitress was really nice very helpful. The food was fantastic, we decided to go for the Emporer set menu what a great choice. We had sushi, fried chicken with wassbi mayonnaise black cod, steak, calamari and the deserts were really tasty. Pricey per person but the food and presentation was really good.

Reservations made in advance for 3 Had advised prior to booking about 2 of the 3 diners having a halal diet. Mia confirmed the fish dishes and chicken were all halal but due to supplier issues the beef and lamb were not. Server Helen was unsure about the menu and had to return to the kitchen to confirm with the chef what par of the menu was safe to eat for those of a halal diet. All sushi rice contained mirin, no suggestion to make any fresh rice without mirin. Soft shell crab was a favourite, the mayonnaise complimented the crab well. Chicken Katsu Bao Bun was delicious Overall the restaurant could have been accommodating towards being inclusive of the halal diet if they wanted to.

IF Rooftop, located in Leeds, is a hidden gem and a must-visit spot for those seeking a unique rooftop bar experience. Formerly known as Rooftop at East Parade, this charming summer terrace offers stunning views of the city skyline. Accessible by a secret passcode, it's an ideal place to unwind with friends while enjoying cocktails, beers, and live music in the sun.
Absolutely cracking little bar, I really wanted a good bar in the sun for this lovely weekend so had a scout on google to find this place. Right in the centre and can see the town hall from all seating near enough, lovely rooftop views and plenty of spots in the sun around dinner time. Sun trap would be an understatement, it’s right in the sun and was great for being in the sun. Drinks are a little bit on the expensive side as it was around £6 a pint but to pay for being in the sun was more than worth is. The bar staff were super polite and really nice, had a good crack with us and a laugh. Very fast service and beer was lovely and cold. Very clean everywhere and toilets were immaculate, love all the wooden furniture all the way round.

Nice bar but absolutely empty at 10pm on a Friday night. Booked a 90s dance music night, besides the fact there was nobody there, not a single dance song or 90s song was being played and the music was very quiet. Was also advertised to have a live saxophonist which there was no sight of. We bought one drink expecting it to pick up but left to go to other establishments after it did not improve

There wasn't any food in IF Rooftop on Saturday. Before coming in we were told entrance is £6 per person (which can be discounted from your first drink order). The music was excessively loud till the point we could not keep a conversation.

The Sunday menu features tempting options like roasted lamb rump and crab risotto, complemented by professional service. Situated within the Victoria Quarter on Briggate, the brasserie boasts stunning city views from its intimate roof terrace.
I visited Harvey Nichols in Leeds for breakfast on Monday morning at around 10:15. The restaurant had a calm, quiet atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly, creating a welcoming environment. The food did not disappoint — it arrived freshly cooked and beautifully presented. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast, which was delicious. We also enjoyed coffees and peppermint tea, both of which were excellent. Both my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend Harvey Nichols to anyone looking for a high-quality breakfast in a lovely setting.

It was a nice restaurant, with a good ambience. We got a seat by the window so we had a nice view over the city. It was quite busy, but the food arrived pretty quickly. We ordered the goats cheese salad with fig. It was very tasty and well presented: the cheese was creamy and flavourful; the figs were sweet and fresh; the rocket leaves were crisp and peppery; the sourdough crumb was crunchy; the caramelised onions were sweet and soft. There was a lot going on, but all the ingredients worked well to create a perfect mouthful. To drink, we ordered the cranberry mojito. It was unfortunately pretty bad, too sour to drink and not presented well. Would not recommend this drink. In total the drink and starter cost £19.50. A good restaurant to enjoy fine dining in Leeds with a decent amount of options.
Ajay S — Google review
Visited for cocktails with friends. Atmosphere was nice but the Winterblend Martini that two of us ordered was awful - probably the worst cocktail we've ever had. Far too much cinnamon powder on top made the drink undrinkable. Despite leaving most of the drink the waitress never asked us how the drinks were, and I'm not one to complain in a busy bar, so we paid and left (£54 for the 4 cocktails). Very disappointed - Headrow House round the corner much better at half the price.

This was an important special birthday lunch for my sister, which I’m afraid wasn’t very special, largely due to a rather clinical service, not much warmth really. We were greeted with joyless efficiency by Philip and shown to a table right next to the clatter of the kitchen. We were asked if it was acceptable or if we’d prefer elsewhere, to which we responded ‘yes, please’. Once seated, we were attended by Gavina who was rather officious and with very few, if any, pleasantries, not nice to experience on any occasion but especially so, given we were there for a birthday celebration. The pace of the service and arrival of courses was good, striking a difficult / nice balance between unhurried and slow. This was then let down by a number of small but important lapses as the meal progressed, eg, the requested wine list took too long to arrive only then to be removed by our waitress at her next visit without asking if we were finished with it (we weren’t). We opted for the 3 course menu which included a sparkling wine cocktail, however, it was completely forgotten about by our waitress. When we asked about it (by this time we had nearly finished our starter) she was completely unconcerned to the point where we were made to feel it was our fault for not mentioning it sooner. When, after a too-lengthy wait to get our server’s attention, who clearly found it more important to give priority to engaging in friendly chat with her other tables, we were asked about dessert from our three-course menu, we declined but said we would like coffee after a few minutes, please? We then had to wait half an hour before we were able to get her attention just to order our coffee !! The bill came, but hang on - wasn’t there supposed to be a nod to the pre-known birthday celebration? “Oh yes, you didn’t alert me to the card on your table about that” so - our responsibility (again) to remind them.  This, a cake, duly arrived after we’d paid the bill ... I specifically chose the Harvey Nicholls Brasserie for what should have been a lovely, easy, enjoyable celebration lunch but which turned out to be anything but - it was hard work and took the shine away from the surprise I'd planned and envisaged for my sister. Irrespective of the fact that it was a celebration lunch, the level and standard of service was poor.

What a great place to build bolds and create memories. Firstly for a few drinks, but not secondly, for a bite after the night before. The chef is a ‘kiss’, spoiling us with his delights and this is not a place to skip if you ever come to Leeds. With a magnificent view of the church and the breeze blowing through the trees, enjoy the great atmosphere Lamb & Flag had to offer. I had my first ever scotched egg and it was delicious, the rest of the party had a burger and chips… recommended!

I had lived in Leeds for 4 years about 15 years ago. I still come back and visit my friends there. Previously, I had only been here at night to have a few pints with my mates, but having come back to visit Leeds after a number of years, I decided to have a Sunday roast before heading back to Manchester Airport. I made a reservation (good idea, as the place really fills up) after seeing they did a roast on Google. I cannot imagine a better Sunday roast. This was an absolute stunner! I'm bringing my Leeds-born son back next year, and we're already planning on visiting Lamb And Flag for a Sunday roast. Do yourself a favour and get yourself over to Lamb and Flag. It also doesn't hurt that it's next door to the rather picturesque Leeds Minster. I can also say that the prices aren't bad at all. Considering I had earlier spent 8 quid on two ice creams from an ice cream van, 32 pounds for a pint, a full Sunday roast, and dessert seemed like quite the deal.
Houstoncreed — Google review
Visited Lamb and Flag for a Sunday roast today and overall had a pleasant experience, though it was a bit of a mixed bag. To start, I had the burrata with confit tomatoes, basil oil and rosemary and sea salt focaccia croutons. The burrata itself was quite plain and I couldn’t really taste the basil or anything else on it, but the croutons were delicious and added a nice texture. The chorizo and paprika croquettes were very good. Really moorish and everything on the plate worked well together. The butternut purée and chive oil paired beautifully with the croquettes. I would happily order these again. For the main, I chose the roasted pork loin with crispy crackling. The pork was a little on the tough side but still had a nice flavour. The vegetables were fairly standard, though the spiced red cabbage was lovely and full of flavour. The roast potatoes were unfortunately far too hard and overly crisp, to the point that they were difficult to cut with the knives provided. A serrated blade would have helped. The Yorkshire pudding followed the current Leeds trend of being massive, which sadly meant one side was very burnt while the rest was decent. The burnt side actually irritated my throat a bit. I do wish we could go back to the smaller, more evenly cooked Yorkshire puddings of the past. To finish, I had the sticky toffee pudding which was absolutely spot on. Soft and spongy with a rich toffee sauce and smooth vanilla ice cream. A perfect end to the meal and easily the highlight. Some parts of the meal were excellent, others could use a bit of improvement, but there is definitely promise here.

Went for an early dinner to the bar to order and was told there was table service. Waited almost 15 minutes then went to bar to order. It wasn't busy but repeatedly had to go to the bar where staff were huddled and chatting. Great food though, enjoyed the pies.

Attended a function in a cordoned off area upstairs which had it's own bar area. Reduced choice compared to the public bar downstairs still a good night. Didn't try the food.

Best pub in Leeds hands down, if anyone stops to ask for recommendations I always point them here. It’s got great food, the staff are really friendly and welcoming to locals. The area has seen rapid population growth over the last few years with more to come. It’s becoming a real heart of the community.

Water Lane Boathouse is a bi-level pub located by the canal, offering stunning waterside views and a relaxed environment. The menu features wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and sharing platters, along with a variety of refreshing beverages. With deals like free chips and soft drink with any sandwich on weekdays, discounted pizzas on Sundays, and special cocktail offers every day, it's a must-visit spot in Leeds.
Enjoyed an excellent lunch at Water Lane Boathouse! Arrived around 12:30pm on a very cold Sunday in January to find plenty of free tables, although there were quite a few reserved and it did fill up quite a bit later on so it might be advisable to book for larger parties. On Sundays there is a 50% off pizza deal and Amstell is only £3.50 per pint, so 2 pizzas and 2 pints only came to £18.95. Amazing value! The pizzas were both absolutely delicious. It was a difficult choice as there were lots of good options, but in the end, we opted for the spicy chicken and the meatball with caramelised onions. We were impressed that they arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. We were lucky to secure a window seat and had a lovely view of the dock (the water was iced over!) whilst we enjoyed our lunch.

Big pub/bar set in nice location on the canal. Loads of seating inside and outside. Open kitchen on the upper level serving fresh cooked pizza, sandwiches, burgers etc . Its a shame this place does NOT accept cash. But still worth a visit.

We went to Water Lane Boathouse for a friend’s birthday meal and drinks. There was indoor and outdoor seating; we sat inside. The atmosphere was vibey, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good variety of drinks, and the 50% off pizzas on Sundays between 5-8pm was a great. The long, bench-style tables were perfect for talking and socialising (however, not ideal for buggies). The pizzas were delicious! Ours were great, although one of our friends received a pizza with a crust that was quite heavily charred.

A lovely place to have lunch sat outside on a sunny day. It's a haven of peace right in the middle of the city. The pizza sandwich was very nice. It gets busy!

Visited for lunch with a friend. Food was good, very noisy but there were 2 very large gatherings so inevitable really. Views of the river were fab, window seat provided a great viewpoint for ducks and ducklings swimming by. Dog friendly inside and looks to have a good outside area too.

Just found my new favourite place in Leeds. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. I haven't tried the food though.

Great dog friendly spot, just a little bit tricky visiting solo with my mutt as by the time we'd gone inside to order, someone had swiped our outside table. Luckily they were up for sharing with a dog as I'd ordered some food to that table number! Staff brought my dog a water bowl and a treat too so he gives it 5 stars! Think it might have been easier if the outside bar had been open while we were there but we'd definitely go back as it has a nice atmosphere.

Seen this place a thousand times on my walk to work and finally managed to visit on a Sunday evening to find that pizzas were half price. Really tasty food, good beer (can't go wrong with a pint of Neck Oil), good service and reasonable beer prices for a city centre. Decent atmosphere too even if me and my mates were the oldest in there by about 20 years 🧓.

Restaurant
Rosa's Thai in Leeds, located in Trinity Leeds, offers a relaxed and no-frills atmosphere with an open and airy feel. The restaurant provides enviable views of the city from its outdoor terrace. The menu features authentic Thai dishes such as crispy veggie spring rolls, popcorn shrimp, noodles, curries, and more. Additionally, Rosa's Thai Cafe is known for its signature rum iced teas.
Fantastic meal at Rosa’s Thai! The curry was rich and aromatic, packed with authentic flavors. The stir-fried noodles were fresh and perfectly balanced. Service was friendly, and the vibrant atmosphere added to the experience. A must-visit in Leeds for delicious Thai cuisine. Highly recommend!
KAI Y — Google review
Five of us spent about £160 for lunch. I think it’s expensive. The Pawn donut is good, the spring roll is just so-so, and the Thai Tom Yum is not the traditional one. In terms of the price, I’d say I expected it to be better. The atmosphere and service are good. There are other better options for Thai food if you want to have something value for money.

We had an excellent experience at the restaurant. Our server, Megan, was particularly outstanding; she was thorough and attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met throughout our visit. Her friendly demeanor and helpful suggestions made us feel truly valued as customers. I highly recommend this place. The food was not only good but also exceptional in flavor, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and presented.
Matilde N — Google review
The food was very delicious and amazing (kudos to the chef). The staff was okay, me chanical but they are fine. But the prices are mental when you pay 3.30 for a can of coke and 3.50 for an extra portion of rice. Now the reason i ordered and extra portion of rice was the portion size. It was too small for the red curry portion presented with it. So if i used all the curry on the forst portion it would havw been too much, the rice will be soggy and the flavour will be too strong to be enjoyed or appreciated, but the second portion was too much for the curry to drench it properly to be enriched with the flavours of the curry. I really recommend they resize the portion of rice to suit the portions of the curry. Still, flavour wise it is amazing and spot on, the lemon grass the chilli, the ginger everything was present and a very qmqzing balance.
Nossor B — Google review
The service was great, especially Sanjay who was very friendly and attentive! I’m giving this restaurant four stars as the food was a bit bland for the price. We paid close to £60 for two people. While we did get quite a few dishes, I still think £30 per person is a bit steep and I have tried better thai food. Having said that, the chicken satay was lovely!

Ordered the Hainanese chicken rice which I’ve grown up eating and was pretty disappointed that it was not anywhere close to the real thing right from the chicken to the chilli sauce to the broth. It’s a tricky one to get right although it basically feels like it’s a very simple dish but it isn’t. The broth should be mostly clear which it wasn’t and the chicken sliced in a particular way which it wasn’t again. Service was okay with staff not being as engaging. Overall experience was okay. I suppose I should have tried more bog standard pad Thai dishes. The green curry dish didn’t come with rice and that had to be ordered separately. Shan’t be going there again any time soon.

Set away from the hustle and bustle of Leeds City Centre, in a modern and cosy setting at Leeds Dock (close to the Royal Armouries Museum), we absolutely recommend you give The Canary Bar a chance for some mouth-watering and finger-licking good food and drinks. Perfect for a gathering – Whether you be taking a partner or mate date, you’ll find lots of beers, cocktails and spirits to choose from alongside a concise food menu that consists of some great staple dishes packing LOTS of flavours, so the choice is an easy one. We enjoyed; Wings with Buffalo sauce – WOW. Big wings and great tasting, some of the best wings we’ve ever tried actually (6 for £7) Mac & Cheese Bites (V) served with chilli jam – very nice (£5.50) Buttermilk Chicken Burger; Spiced buttermilk chicken breast, Swiss cheese, gem lettuce, tomato & spiced slaw, served on a brioche bun with House Fries – a decent portion, very tasty, not too messy but still hits the spot (£12) Halloumi Salad (V, GF); Grilled halloumi, avocado, tomato, cucumber & mixed leaf salad, dressed with balsamic glaze. I also added Garlic & Herb Chicken – SO MUCH halloumi and chicken!! The chicken was reallllly garlicky (we do love garlic so that didn’t hinder our date haha) it was fabulous. A really fresh meal (£10.50+£2) Washed down with pints of Peroni, French Martini and a Cosmo (cocktails are £9 or 2 for £15 4pm-6pm) The menu also includes Loaded Fries and a small selection of Desserts. We loved the food here and the setting and we had the chance to watch some football after our food as they also show live sky sport. Something for everyone! The Canary Bar also offer a bottomless brunch available Saturdays 12pm – 5pm including 90 mins of unlimited Prosecco, Mimosas, Cocktail of the Week & Coronas as well as a Main Meal for £32pp. As well as this, there is a £10 lunch offer Tuesday – Fridays, bargain! Bundobust Leeds is a casual craft beer bar that offers a menu of Indian street food in a laid-back setting with bare brick walls and wooden benches. The venue, a collaboration between the owner of Bradford's The Sparrow and the chef from West Yorkshire's Gujarati restaurant Prashad, boasts a street-food vibe, DIY decor, and an impressive selection of craft beers.
The food was really excellent. We got a sharing-meal for three or four people. Can’t remember exactly but there was plenty of food and lots of variety in the dishes. Would probably visit Leeds again just to go here! The tables could be a bit bigger considering so many people get sharing meals!

I really enjoyed the flavors and creativity in the dishes, everything was tasty and well-prepared. However, I found the portion sizes a bit on the smaller side, and the seasoning was slightly heavy, especially the salt and MSG. With a few adjustments, it could be even better. Still, a unique and enjoyable dining experience overall.

This place is absolutely brilliant. We moved to Leeds about six months ago, and pretty much everyone we met told us we had to try Bundobust. After finally going, we now feel a bit foolish for waiting so long!— It’s not your typical Indian restaurant. The vibe is relaxed and informal, and the food is something else — creative, exciting, and packed with flavours we’d never tried before. It’s all vegetarian (with loads of vegan options too), but trust me, you won’t miss the meat. Dishes like the Palak Koftas and Mung Bean Chatpata were total standouts. One of the best parts is that everything is designed to share, so we were able to try loads of different dishes between the three of us. The whole experience felt and different, not your standard curry night out. And if you're into beer, you're in luck — Bundobust also doubles as a great little beer spot. There’s a solid range, from crisp lagers to punchy IPAs, and even a proper bitter. My partner loved their twist on a radler — a shandy made with spiced Indian lemonade. Oh, and did I mention the value? Three of us absolutely stuffed ourselves (with drinks!) for £20 a head. Can’t argue with that. Bottom line: if you’re in Leeds and haven’t been to Bundobust yet, don’t wait like we did — just go.

I went here for breakfast before the Test match. Nice big breakfast and coffee/tea for around £8.25. Good bar and choice of beers but the beer garden is amazing. Loads of tables and big screen that's easy to see even in the sun. Great to watch sport

Huge place with lots of seating. Id stick to the basics and drinks whatever is on tap here. The Woods in Leeds offers a serene and upscale ambiance, adorned with charming lights and greenery. The menu boasts an impressive selection, featuring delectable options such as mixed olives, roasted camembert, steak & ale pie, and goats cheese & caramelised onion pizza. A highly recommended dish is the braised shin beef dressed in Barolo wine. This establishment is known for its relaxing atmosphere and is considered one of the best places in Leeds for drinks outside the city center.
Amazing service and venue! Just been for a baby shower. They accommodated last minute so well for my friend who had a nightmare with a venue that cancelled on her. Anyways it worked out for the best because the terrace was beautiful space! Super intimate and great on a sunnys day! Service was amazing from Ian who catered so well behind the bar and thank you so much for saving my dress with safety pins!

Had a great time here. The roof top terrace is good. Lots of outdoor seating and under cover. Friendly bar staff that looked after us. The food was really nice. Excellent wings and burgers. The halloumi burgers were top notch. The only issue was we were there for a christening so lots of kids and there was no plastic bottle soft drinks which did end in a glass being dropped and smashed by a kid.
Leon D — Google review
My wife, child and I booked for the Steak night. It didn't disappoint! Three perfectly cooked steaks, delicious sauces and the best crunchy AND fluffy chips! Great sides and plenty of margaritas, beers and mocktails. Will book again.
Richard T — Google review
Incredibly disappointed after looking forward to a night out with the family. Burgers were OK, but the wings were really tiny & dry. Great location for a drink though, especially when the live band is playing.
Chelsey A — Google review
Get service with friendly staff who carried highchairs up to the roof terrace for us as well as creating mocktails off-menu. Very accommodating and a great venue on the roof terrace for private events. Also tried the burgers which were great!

Amazing Amazing Amazing! The staff here have gone over and above to make a bad situation into an fab day! We were let down last minute by another venue in Chapel Allerton and the staff at The Woods went out of their way to accommodate 40 people within a few hours.
Victoria I — Google review
Visited with some friends after Chapel Allerton festival. Had just bought another round in for everyone when around 10 minutes later the bouncers came round and told everyone in the venue they had 5 minutes to drink up and get out. When I acted surprised the bouncer said "what part of that didn't you understand, I could chuck you out right now". What a rude and unnecessarily aggressive little man he was, clearly on a power trip and looking for trouble. We were totally calm but were met with such attitude. The venue should have told us when ordering that it was about to close. 5 minutes drinking up time is unreasonable and the attitude of this bouncer was horrific. Its a nice venue but we all won't be returning based on this experience.

Always had a good time here and is the best spot for a drink in chapel A. Staff are friendly, despite having to make French martins every round.

Harvey Nichols is a renowned department store offering designer brands like Givenchy, Burberry, and Alexander McQueen. It played a significant role in revitalizing Leeds. However, the real shopping gem is Trinity Leeds, housing 120 outlets including trendy stores like Urban Outfitters and Damaged Society. The Fourth Floor Bar at Harvey Nichols hosts tasting events such as whisky sessions featuring experts from local distilleries.
Came here to purchase some Tom Ford fragrances and looked after by the assistant and was helpful enough to go through many choices and gift wrapped too, not rushed and provided great service. Four floor has a washroom too and clean. Nice store and some high end shopping.
R M — Google review
Staff are really helpful and friendly, but they seem to be run like a market stall. Very low stocks of everything and could only offer the display items! So they want you to pay £1500+ for a coat that smells of BO from the 100 people that have tried it on. Also they show lots of products on the we site that they dont have in stock at all like Burberry. This used to be a good shop but has gone well down hill, which you can notice as soon as you arrive as they cant even afford a door man anymore
James — Google review
Excellent set lunch at Harvey Nicks. Worth the £35. Top drawer 🍸 The food and service was excellent. I went for a very early festive Christmas lunch :)🎄
Ken H — Google review
The food here is really good and the set menu for £35 is well worth it. The staff are friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. If you get the chance to eat or drink outside on a sunny day, it's worth it

Fabulous store. Staff are super helpful. My husband’s go to shop for presents, (staff gift wrap everything for him 😊) as he’s far too lazy to gift wrap Staff are happy to engage and always welcome with a huge smile. Whatever happened to the gentleman that opened the door for customers, we miss him

Big thankyou to Helen (the lady still in her gothic era with the red lippy) at Harvey Nichols Leeds, she made our shopping experience very pleasant, she was really helpful even undressing a mannequin for the size we needed, we will definitely revisit this store when we are back in Leeds.
Sadie V — Google review
Visited on a quiet Thursday afternoon before heading home. Would have had food but the bistro was closed for a private event. Instead settled for a drink at the bar. Not the best views from the rear of the store but a nice enough environment. The staff member on the bar was very helpful and we had just the one round. Recommend a glass of the Harvey Nic's New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, better than Cloudy Bay.

Tharavadu is a renowned Keralan restaurant located in Leeds, offering a modern dining experience with traditional Indian cuisine. The restaurant has been recommended by the Michelin guide for three consecutive years and is known for its authentic Keralan dishes. The menu features a variety of options including meat, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. With floor-to-ceiling windows and polished wood floors, the venue provides a contemporary setting to enjoy South Indian flavors.
Fantastic food, flavours i've never experienced before. Excellent service. Upstairs can be a bit loud with large groups dining, conversation was difficult at times but didn't spoil our enjoyment of a wonderful meal. Next time i'll request a quieter table downstairs though.

What an amazing experience. I loved the food so much, some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten! The vegan options are really good- their take on poppadoms are so tasty and the fried lentil rings are unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Can’t wait to go back!
Beth H — Google review
We went here for the first time after contemplating for long but oh my, the food was top level👌👌 We ordered two Kerala parathas, Meen Kootan, Kozhi Kurumulog(Chef’s Special) and it was more than enough for three people. I personally loved Chef’s special more than Meen Kootan but my friends really loved Meen Kootan. We also ordered mango lassi and Pranaya Rasam(strawberries with lime) and I really loved the fresh strawberries taste in it instead of having some syrupy taste to it. Service was so good, the people over there are so smiling, very sweet, and a person named Roni served us and he was so friendly and very attentive. Would recommend going again as well. Thank you.
PREETHIKA S — Google review
Came here on a friends recommendation and no regrets! The service was friendly and prompt, even seating is earlier than we had booked due to heavy rain outside which was nice! The food was excellent, every mouthful just made me smile, I had the seafood curry and it was spot on. Certainly be back! My only quibble was the seating we had was near the toilets and the washroom for pots, quite noisy and busy with staff moving in and out.
Jamie S — Google review
Amazing staff! Even though the place was packed with customers, everyone was attended to with such genuine smiles and great energy. As for the food , I don’t even need to say much! The crowd spoke for itself. truly lived up to the hype. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy real, delicious Kerala cuisine served with warmth and hospitality!

Visited on a bustling Monday, and it’s easy to see why it was packed! The authentic Kerala cuisine was absolutely phenomenal, with a spice blend that brought incredible depth and flavour to every dish. While it’s not the cheapest, the quality makes it worth every penny. Highly recommend for a true taste of Kerala, definitely different from the mainstream.

tharavadu in leeds is a south indian restaurant specialising in dishes from kerala. it’s a great spot if you’re looking for something different from the usual north indian or pakistani/punjabi style cuisine you normally find in the uk. we tried chilli paneer, kerala kozhi curry, kozhi kurumulag, vazhuthananga curry, and paper masala dosa. overall, it was great. i really enjoyed trying proper kerala dishes. the curries were delicious though i felt there wasn’t a huge amount of variation between them, all with a similar coconut taste. the cocktails and drinks were very good, and the service was excellent, with staff who were friendly and helpful. coined the “best restaurant in leeds”. a very grand statement to make, especially as leeds is full of amazing spots. however i do believe that tharavadu is definitely up there with the greats of leeds. i really recommend you go and see for yourself.

English restaurant
Whitelock's Ale House, the oldest pub in Leeds, has a rich history dating back to 1715 when it was known as The Turks Head. Acquired by the Whitelock family in the 1880s, this atmospheric establishment has been frequented by notable figures like the Duke of Kent and John Betjeman.
We were lucky, cause we had an amazing Sunday roast for dinner! (Yes, we were a bit late) The place and the food is amazing. It looks heavy but the truth is this meal is very comfortable food. I hope I will have a chance to come back soon.
Balázs L — Google review
Had a delicious Sunday roast at Leeds' oldest pub, first opened in 1715—over 310 years of history! The meat was tender, the roast potatoes were tasty (soaked in rich gravy), and the Yorkshire pudding was just right. A great spot for a proper traditional roast!
Angela M — Google review
One of the best roasts in Leeds. Always miss the lamb but managed to snag it this time and it was spot on. Yorkies and gravy always top, as well as the pints. Had a lovely cask oat stout on. Love this pub.

We visited Whitelocks shortly after opening time (11am) just for a couple of drinks so i can't comment on the food. My friend Steven strongly recommended the Guinness and i have to say it was the best we have had in Leeds. It was rich and creamy - fantastic! The pub is superb with a lovely old style and copper topped tables. It is a very relaxing environment and the staff were friendly.

Northern Monk Refectory is a craft beer haven located in an industrial brewhouse with rotating pop-up food vendors and event space. Situated within the historic Monk Bar gatehouse, it offers the Richard III Experience, delving into the king's reign and life in 15th century York. The brewery's Old Flax Store beer garden is a popular spot in Leeds South Bank, featuring an award-winning Eternal Session IPA and hosting various street food takeovers.
Today I had both my best ever fish and chips and the best alc free larger. Big respect to the chef who put so much dedication and attention to detail into a stunning dish. It looked and tasted like a reinvention of a classic. The Peak Citra Lager was so tasty, I almost don’t want to drink proper lager anymore!

Already love the beer and the chilled atmosphere. But the current food offering is top tier: Indian inspired roast dinner was amazing. Tandoori chicken and Bombay inspired Yorkshire were delicious. Never hesitate to go back here. Accommodating for my gluten free family too!
Luke R — Google review
The staff here are always super friendly. They have interesting beers and are always willing to talk through recommendations with you. The venue is well laid out and feels relaxed and friendly. I've tried the food twice now and have had a poor experience both times. This time the cheesy chips were oily to the touch, lukewarm, and the cheese was hard and unmelted. The Oakra Fries were, again, oily and lacked bite. I've read other positive reviews of the food and so may just have been unlucky. For beer, for relaxing, for a wonderful sun-trap on a nice day - definitely a venue of choice. For something to eat - probably not.
Bryan W — Google review
The food was very tasty I had the gf chicken burger. The only issue was there was some plastic in my burger. Which I highlighted to the staff. We completed the total warrior and they had a deal on But for a beer and burger for £15 seems pretty expensive.

The refractory is on three levels. The ground floor is the brewing area. First floor is the bar and tap room and the second floor is for private events. The beers are great and the brewery tour is fantastic. Ed gave our brewery tour and he was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend it, worth every penny. The outdoor area is very cool
Maggie W — Google review
Nice little craft beer / brewery tap. A short stroll from the centre but worth it. Nice outside areas but not suitable for our February visit. Plenty of craft to choose from. Not many mainstream beers, mostly sours and fruity versions with a couple of pales on our visit. Still a good choice. Food looked superb. Traditional slightly surly craft bar staff.

Northern Monk is once again home to the amazing food from Jah Jyot and Grilling Me Softly. After talking to Ranie for so long, we finally got to try his food and meet him in person! He has teamed up again with Anthony, one of our favourite chefs in the business, so we knew this was going to be something special. The residency at Northern Monk was absolutely popping when we went and deservedly so. The menu is Indian inspired Street Food in the form of Flatbreads, Small Plates and Sides. We have heard nothing but great things about their Indian Sunday Roast so will be back for that! One word of advice, come here hungry as they arent messing around with the portion sizes. We ordered the Small Plates Platter and expected a taster of each of the small plates but you basically get each one! An absolutely great deal! I dont think i can justify in writing just how good this food is- it is absolutely delicious and ticks every box on taste, quality, presentation, ingredient pairings. Everything was just singing with bold flavours and we savoured every bite What we ordered Salt and Pepper Squid with Wasabi Aoili- I am always sceptical about ordering squid as so many times it comes out rubbery and soggy. This was absolutely not the case here- the Creole batter was cooked to the perfect level. It was super super crispy while managing to keep the squid inside nice and soft- it was also nicely seasoned too giving that classic salt and pepper vibes. The pairing Wasabi packed a real punch too and brought out the flavour of the squid more. Everything about this dish was perfectly balanced Jeets Chops- This is a nod to Ranie's dad and what a stunning dish it is. Locally sourced high quality Lamb Chops cooked pink and marinated in a range of herbs and spices. There was so much soft juicy tender meat on these little beauties and the pairing sharp green chutney worked so well to elevate the flavours further. Chicken Lollipops- Boy did these pack a punch with the aromatic firey spicy coating. They were really tasty and the meat was super juicy inside- definitely no dry chicken here. Brett loves a fried chicken dish and this one was no exception. The sweet sauce circling the plate worked really well too to cool down the heat of the crispy chicken skin Grilled Rump, Yorkshire Goats Curd, Pickles, Salsa Verde, Crispy Onion- Anthony cooks a mean steak with pairing sauce so we know this was definitely one of his dishes from the menu. This steak was cooked to perfection with a lovely soft buttery pink centre. Who knew Goats Cheese would be such a good compliment to steak- the tangy savoury creamy richness of the cheese works so well. The Salsa Verde was zesty and fresh and the onions added a nice crunch to the meat Khubha Aloo (Wild Mushroom, Punjabi Masala, Garlic and Coriander Mash) Wow this was such a warming bowl of goodness. We always say some of the best curries are the Vegetarian ones and this absolutely fit that theory. It was punchy with a subtle kick of heat and we loved the earthiness of the wild mushrooms. The pairing mash was gorgeous- creamy, rich and bursting with that floral zingy coriander flavour Faith Battered Colley (White Fish in Northern Monk Beer Batter with Dill and Samphire Tartar) Wow there was so much fish packed into these little chunks of goodness. It was excellent quality and so flakey soft. The batter was absolutely gorgeous- crispy, thick, flavourful and not greasy. The salty sharp creamy tartar was such a great dip for the fish bites. Such a moreish dish that we could have carried on eating

The Turk's Head is a laid-back and inviting spot known for its variety of craft beers, classic cocktails, and casual pub food. As the sister bar to one of Leeds' oldest pubs, Whitelocks, it offers a more modern atmosphere with an array of craft ales, gins, and cocktails. The lively beer garden provides ample seating and canopies with heaters for year-round enjoyment.
I love the quirky alleyway at the Turks Head, having been previously only for drinks I decided to venture for Sunday lunch. It was £16.95 for roast pork, you get a decent portion (ask for apple sauce). Only downsize was the roasties were a bit soggy having been stuck underneath the huge (but tasty) Yorkshire pud. Will definitely be back to sample more tasty food though.

I've been here before and it was great, a little hide away with character and charm. I little bit more expensive than most places but great atmosphere. On this occasion the service i received was poor which was out of the ordinary. Slow and not very personalble, maybe I caught the bar staff in question on the wrong day.
Mike B — Google review
Very disappointed! We have been here many times before and you could see my husband’s last review was five stars, but how things have changed. We wanted to come back so I have tried to book by messaging twice but I have got no reply to either. More so I have rang twice and left voicemails, again I have never got a call back. If this is the way you treat returning customers then we’ll find somewhere else to go. How can turn down what would have been over a £100 booking is beyond me, but it’s your loss.

Fantastic all round. We asked for a nice table if possible with it being our anniversary and we got a great spot in the corner, which was appreciated. The staff were great, friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely excellent. Great experience and a fantastic choice of ales too! Thanks to all the staff, chefs and management.

So glad I called in on a quiet Monday evening to take this place in - truly amazing. Beers come in all measures you want including two cask options all poured by some fantastic bar staff.
Mark N — Google review
Whitelocks was heaving so we grabbed an outside table at the adjoining pub. Possibly Casta's first visit to this pub or it has had a total makeover. Pint of Five Points pale was fine. Another card only bar which I detest. Food looked good. Outside had electric bar heaters. Might be reflected in prices.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
A bit overrated. We came here as whitelocks was full and apparently they have the same menu. When we first walked in and up to the bar, the girl working took a solid minute to acknowledge our presence which we found awkward. This place is small (maybe 8 tables) and decorated more modern than whitelocks, so has none of the charm. It was full so we waited about 15 minutes for a table but were able to order a drink at the bar. There was no system for who was waiting for a table. Service was slow and it felt like she was avoiding eye contact with us. Food was waayy too big. The pie was ridiculously huge. It could of been half the size so we would have done better to just order that and share it. I felt bad wasting half of it. The chunky chips and seasonal veg were excellent. Overall I wouldn't recommend it or return.

Excellent food, the steak with cocktail and £5.00 free play was great value, and very tasty. Excellent service from Violetta and Gomez, we will be going again soon. Nice win in the slots also, the place has also had a refurb and had a lovely vibe.

Napoleons always makes for an enjoyable, mellow night out compared to the hustle of the city centre. The drinks are well priced, you can actually get a seat, and the bar food options always hit the spot. I generally feel well looked after by the staff who, even for non-gamblers, keep the night engaging with things like the free wheel of fortune. I’ve yet to try out the restaurant, but it’s always busy and the prices look very reasonable, so I’m sure it would be very enjoyable.

I have been banned from 2 years ago till now for ridiculous things. They told me you cannot play on the blackjack table and then they say to me you should be left the casino.and I have spoken with members about this issue and I have sent lots of emails but nothing response from the casino and nobody has been answering my emails. I’m still calling them and asking about and sending emails but they never answered my calls and emails.I don’t know who’s in charge and taking responsibility so I’m still waiting for to hear back from them to make sure resolve the issue.
