Restaurant
Denny's is a popular family restaurant in Japan, known for offering a variety of both Japanese and Western-style dishes at reasonable prices. Customers appreciate the amazing food quality and extensive menu that caters to different tastes. The seasonal menu adds excitement with new and interesting meals based on seasonal fruits, vegetables, and traditions. The restaurant is also praised for its superb service, cleanliness, and good value for money. Additionally, Denny's offers free parking for diners eating inside.
Denny's in Japan is on another level. There attention to detail is second to none. I love the strawberry pancake and strawberry drink. Wish Denny's in US are like this with respect to quality and service.
Sumagueb — Google review
I tried the beef hamburger steak and found the portion to be a bit pricey. Additionally, the corn side wasn't very fresh. However, the beef itself was decent, especially with the oriental sauce I chose. On a positive note, the staff was incredibly helpful in suggesting meals. Thumbs up for their service!
Ghifaroza — Google review
A great fall back eating place when Japanese food isn't doing it for you or you prefer a more western breakfast. Serves are not huge but some meals offered are adequate for the bigger eater.

My favorite breakfast place. Service is superb. Parking is free if you’re eating inside just have the cashier stamp the tickets for you. Price is good for the set. High recommend.

Amazing food always coming out perfectly, we even tried uber eats Denny's and it was impeccable. Really extensive menu for all tastes to find something to eat. We love the seasonal menu, offering new and interesting meals based on season fruits, vegetables and traditions.

Great food. Denny's here is equal to a ruby Tuesdays in the USA. There is parking available and it's easy to get to.

Japanized western restaurant
Gusto is a popular family restaurant in Japan that offers a wide range of both Japanese and Western-style dishes at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a cafe-style interior with power supplies, making it convenient for various customers including working people, students, housewives, and the elderly. One of the highlights is the Gusto Burger, which may seem large at first glance but impresses with its generous portion compared to other fast food options.
(Translated by Google) I ordered the morning menu. It's a hidden gem on weekday mornings!! It's also perfect for studying, and it's very quiet. (Original) モーニングメニューを注文しました。 平日の朝は穴場です!! 勉強にも向いてて、とても静かでした。
かりん — Google review
Quite clean family restaurant. They recently changed to tablets for placing your order. On the plus side, this means better foreign language support (English, Korean, and I think some version of Chinese). On the negative side, it means the non-Japanese descriptions of the food are lacking and you have to switch between Japanese and English in order to see detailed ingredients (important for people with dietary restrictions). Also, the number of vegetarian options has decreased over the last year (vegan options were always pretty much non-existent); even their salads all contain meat, I believe.

(Translated by Google) I visited Gusto Kamiooka Ekimae for lunch. It's close to the station and has great access, and the bright, clean interior has a casual atmosphere. This time I ordered a hamburger steak and fried shrimp set. The hamburger steak was juicy, and the fried shrimp was crispy and satisfying. There is also a salad bar, so you can freely enjoy colorful vegetables. There is a drink bar, so you can take your time refilling your coffee and juice, and the reasonable price makes it a good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they handled the situation efficiently even when it was busy. It's also perfect for a quick drink lunch with family or friends. It's a casual, standard family restaurant that you'll want to visit again and again.

(Translated by Google) It's a family restaurant so it's delicious. Gusto, nearby Shabuha, and Jonathan are easy to use. I use coupons from the Skylark app. There is a 90 minute sign at the entrance. I'm only there for about 10 minutes. People who stay there for a long time don't understand. 10 minutes after eating. I don't understand the meaning of 90 minutes at the entrance.
Google review
(Translated by Google) I came here for the first time in a long time because I had a coupon, and I was surprised to find out that they do not speak to customers after 90 minutes. I don't understand unless you say it more clearly. Don't stay there for 90 minutes, okay? Does that mean I should leave a seat because it's crowded? If so, why not ban drink bars, free Wi-Fi, and electrical outlets? If you eat breakfast and then order lunch, the waiter who brings you your order has a bad attitude, and it's written on his face that he doesn't want to stay. He's not cut out for the customer service industry. The toast is a little too burnt. I went there wanting to eat a Japanese breakfast, but the root vegetable miso soup set was out of stock, so I left without ordering it. I don't even have anything to order anymore. When I went there for the first time in a while, the hygiene at the drink bar had gotten much worse. I always drink tea from tea bags, and when I put 3 of them in, all of them had mysterious objects floating in them. Even if I refilled it, it was the same, so I had no choice but to drink it, and at the end, something big and sticky was left behind. I don't want to go to this store anymore because it's disgusting. Ordering now takes place on a tablet, just like at any other bar. I thought this would help with cleaning up even with less manpower, but there were still tables that weren't tidy at all, and my favorite seat was already full after the person in front of me had eaten. There are people who can use smartphones but not tablets, so we will still need more people for a while. Yesterday, the women's restroom was out of order and I couldn't use it, so I thought I'd be able to use it again today, but I'm glad it was fixed. When I pressed the Calpis soda that I always drink, only soda came out, so I had no choice but to drink cola. Jonathan told me that the toast breakfast comes with a boiled egg and it's a good deal, but he never came to take my order 💢 Even after I pressed the button three times after a while, it still didn't come. If you're so short-staffed, just hire more 💢 Other customers were grumbling and complaining that there were no empty seats because the tables weren't cleared, and they were wiping the tables themselves. They don't clean up the dishes used by the person sitting in front of me, and I eat lunch while watching this. I wanted to eat breakfast, but due to the typhoon, they opened at 11am. When I went there around 12:00 to eat lunch and dinner, there were still seats available. It's been a while since I last stayed from morning till evening. It was fun to have Wi-Fi and be able to charge for free. I was happy with the new app. I went on a Sunday so it was crowded. I wanted to try the peach parfait series, but it contained mascarpone, which I don't like, so I gave up. There's even cheese in the coffee, and it makes me question my sanity. Of course, you can't eat chocolate-based desserts because they contain mascarpone. There was a coupon on the flyer, so I went there for the first time in a while and was surprised to see that the menu had expanded. It's also nice to be able to charge things like cell phones. But no thanks for desserts or coffee with cheese. I've only been there twice, but I still don't have the menu I want. The menu is too thin to begin with. It was dark inside the store. Also, the ice cap on the drink bar was broken and easily removed. I want to fix it because I'm poor. It hasn't been open for many years, so it doesn't match the fact that the inside of the store is clean. There are outlets at each seat, and free Wi-Fi is available for 3 hours, but it's not a restaurant you'll want to stay in for too long. I feel like I have to put down the dishes and cups myself, and I wonder how understaffed it is to even go get the water myself.

(Translated by Google) It was empty in the morning, but I ended up lining up during the day, even on weekdays. The inside of the store is cafe style and there is a power supply. The customer base is diverse, including working people, students, housewives, and the elderly. At first glance, the size of the bread and hamburger in Gusto Burger seems unbalanced, isn't it? However, when you compare it to the burgers at other fast food restaurants, you will be impressed by the volume. It wasn't until I ate it that I realized that the inside was actually a cheese-in-hamburger steak. It goes perfectly with the coffee at the drink bar.

The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum is a unique destination that offers a nostalgic experience of old Japan and the world of ramen. It features a traditional street food court with shops offering samples of ramen dishes from different regions, allowing visitors to taste and learn about the history of this beloved dish. The museum also has a theatre where performances about the history of ramen noodles are showcased.
I first visited in April on my own and promised myself I’d bring the kids here during our family trip to Japan. The kids finally got to visit this August, but we came during Japan’s holiday season, unfortunately, it was extremely crowded, with long lines in a small space. It was hard to enjoy everything, and we couldn’t try other spots because of the wait times. Still, the staff managed the crowd quite well. A nice bonus is that you can buy instant ramen packs to take home and recreate your own ramen bowl.
Bonnie C — Google review
TLDR: good for tasting different ramen bowls downstairs in small sizes but wish the museum had a bit more substance We definitely enjoyed a few bowls of ramen downstairs. I enjoyed the cappuccino tonkotsu ramen at stall 8 and the shoyu/tonkotsu at stall 4. I also liked that they let you get a small size for 680 yen instead of a full size so you can try multiple. However I wish the museum had a bit more substance. The gift shop is bigger than the actual museum itself. Overall a good experience still
Wilson T — Google review
For an experience this is a good place, but not exactly a museum. Entrance fee for an adult is 450yen. Inside, if you pay another 5000 with a reservation you can make ramen noodle on your own.( making the dough i guess) the 1F has a few walls with history of ramen and evolution of ramen in Japan. Also there’s a souvenir shop. In B1 and B2 there are retro type ramen shop which gives the vibe of old japan ramen alleys. Here you may choose a ramen shop to dine and you have to line up between 30~1hour depending on the popularity of the shop. And agin after paying you can enjoy your ramen. So the entrance fee is kind of exaggerated because it is not exactly a “museum”. As an overall it was a nice experience and ramen was good.
Upeka W — Google review
This is a must visit when you're in Yokohama. Ramen is a Japan special and the history and tradition are displayed here. Bonus is that there is a ramen food court at the basement floors recreating the magic and decor of ancient times. We chose to go to Rairaiken, the historic first ramen restaurant of Tokyo opening in 1920. It subsequently closed in 1976. Fortunately Rairaiken started again in 2020 at this museum carefully reproducing the old recipe and magic. This was our first introduction to Ramen in Japan. And we chose a small bowl with Char Siu. I must say we were sweeped off our feet. The soy broth was light and so flavorful, noodles are soft and the Char Siu firm and succulent. I was craving for another bowl! Now I know why Ramen is legendary in Japan. Not to mention the ultimate cleanliness and meticulous attention to everything!
Amit C — Google review
The history of ramen in Japan was interesting but the highlight was the ramen food mall in the basement. With the help of a young Japanese woman we queued up for about half an hour to order at our chosen restaurant. The wait was definitely worth it. One of the best konkatsu ramens I’ve ever eaten. Midweek would probably have been five stars.
David P — Google review
Lovely Museum with very tasty ramen and a lot of Info on the history of ramen. A little unfortunate that you can't just order one ramen for the whole group and sit down in the restaurants. Everybody in the group needs to order at least one ramen bowl which can get expensive quick. Other than that I liked it here very much! Will come again to taste the rest!
Dominik A — Google review
Beautiful underground food court with many delicious options. Definitely worth the wait for the longer lines also highly recommend the dipping noodle restaurant on B1 floor. I recommend going with the small size bowls if you plan on hitting multiple stations as well as not finishing the broth.
Angel J — Google review
Initially we were going to the cup noodles Museum in Yokohama but, after reading about and visiting this one, I think we made the best choice. The ambience is great, you can choose between many reagional ramen and make your own dry ramen to take home with any picture. You choose. Not packed (we went at the beginning of august), well worth it.

Sukiyaki restaurant
Authentic Japanese restaurant
Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu restaurant
Araiya is a renowned beef hotpot restaurant with a branch near Bashamichi Station in Yokohama. The establishment takes pride in using whole domestic Kuroge Wagyu cattle to provide high-quality yet affordable meat for their dishes. Their specialty, the Famous Beef Pot (AORI), is a must-try.
Nestled in the heart of Yokohama, with 3 outlets in Yokohama, Arayia has been serving exquisite gyunabe since the late 19th century. This restaurant stands out as one of the earliest restaurants of this Yokohama-style beef dish, which delicately cooks the meat in a sweet soy sauce rather than searing it, alike to sukiyaki. Our nine-course meal was a journey through culinary artistry. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail. The main dish was particularly memorable, the beef is melting in the mouth, leaving a lasting impression that calls for a return visit. The service struck the perfect balance—attentive without being overwhelming, allowing us to savor each course at our own pace. Overall, Arayia is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience. Its rich history and dedication to perfection make it a true culinary treasure.
Will S — Google review
This is a gem of a traditional gyunabe restaurant in Yokohama. Not only is the beef of the highest quality, but the attentive and excellent service from the staff truly enhances the dining experience. It's situated close to Yokohama World Porters and is easily accessible from Bashamichi Station (Minatomirai Line), Exit 6. If you want to enjoy fantastic gyunabe with top-notch service in Yokohama, this is the place to be!
Megumi S — Google review
I came for dinner. The services were amazing and friendly. Food is amazing. I believe most of people come for the beef. Definitely worth a visit. Came at around 6pm and no wait. Special set seems to be provided for lunch. Will visit again if having chances.
Shin-Hau L — Google review
Front desk to server was very welcoming and friendly. Food was very delicious. Menu was easy to order even in japanese. Service was superb and attentive. We didn't speak japanese, but they were very polite. Our waitress spoke English. I do not agree with previous comments that they are rude to foreigner. We did not get rushed to order or eat our meals. They seated us 40 minutes before their closing time.
K M — Google review
The lunch specials were good value for the quality of food. The Sukiyaki was preferrable than the Gyunabe, with stronger flavour and better meat taste. Service was really good, with the servers wearing kimonos.
Que — Google review
We came to have lunch here with reservation because this place was famous and popular. The place was very nice and cozy. The service was great. We order beef sukiyaki (which called Beef nabe here), tempura and chawamushi. All dishes tastes very delicious. However the price was rather expensive but compare to the quality of food and service. This is acceptable.
Ya T — Google review
Better come for lunch if you are looking for a deal. The difference is serve yourselves vs. the staff cook the hotpot for you.
Ned G — Google review
Nice sukiyaki restaurant, well known with good quality meat and attentive service. We ordered the lunch set for around ¥3200 which seemed to be the most popular and were served very quickly. Did not appear to have an English menu. This location also seemed very popular, a reservation seems to be pretty necessary if you want a standard table with chairs. Showing up 15 minutes after they opened at 11:15am for lunch with a party of three barely got us in without a wait and it was one of the traditional floor seating tables.

Restaurant
Royal Host Bashamichi is a popular family restaurant in Japan that offers a wide variety of both Japanese and Western-style dishes at reasonable prices. The friendly staff and excellent drink bar with unlimited free refills make for a delightful dining experience. While the menu is in Japanese, Google translation can be helpful. The restaurant is known for serving real bacon and offering an excellent selection of hot loose leaf teas.
Good simple restaurant with a variety of beef chicken and pork options to choose from . Had lobster tail also 😋 A chain restaurant has Been good evertime I have gone . Most beef imported from the USA no waygu on the menu this time
Rat053 — Google review
Royal host came recommend from a friend of mine, and they are pretty good. The food is a bit more on the pricey side but good quality, is really good and worth the money. Service was a bit slow, which is fine. Though it is a family restaurant so it can get a bit noisy at times.
Mitchell H — Google review
Delightful staff, all very friendly. Menu is in Japanese so it helps to have Google translation. We picked this place because it's been so hard to find a meal with bacon and scrambled eggs. This place has it. Excellent drink bar selection. Many hot loose leaf teas to choose from. Food came out quickly. Bacon was real bacon, not Canadian bacon. It's hard to find bacon out here. The chef salad was excellent, came with the most random things like fried chicken, bacon and eggs. Amazing dressing.

Cantonese restaurant
Manchinro is a well-established restaurant in Yokohama's Chinatown, offering classic Cantonese cuisine in an elegant traditional Chinese setting. Having been a popular dining spot for over a century, it stands out as one of the most luxurious restaurants in the area. Following a fire that destroyed the original 19th-century establishment, Manchinro was rebuilt to resemble an imperial palace adorned with exquisite traditional Chinese decorations.

The atmosphere is hard to rate because while it’s beautiful it betrays the rest of Chinatown being “Chinese” because most of the servers are Japanese however I do understand it’s hard to staff such a large place with only Chinese people. Food was super good I tried multiple dishes, and all were pretty authentic Chinese food. The rooms were beautiful and there were many intricate designs.

There are so many delicious restaurants in China town but this may be my favorite! Everything we ordered came out so incredibly fresh and well cooked. The atmosphere was sophisticated and romantics . The staff is very attentive giving you fresh tea even before your pot was empty. I wish they had a few more dumpling options but everything was amazing.
Shauna N — Google review
Came here due to other reviews, but was extremely disappointed. The food is too sweet by my standards. Perhaps they’re making it for the Japanese palate, but as an ethnic Chinese American, my taste buds were overwhelmed by the amount of sugar they seem to be using. Had the lunch special at 2,800 —the pork and cabbage stir fry and the fried tofu were covered in very sweet soy sauces. The only thing I enjoyed was the ginger chicken. Also ordered the radish cakes and cabbage dim sum. Not the best. Ambiance was beautiful though.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. Yes, it is rather ornate. But, there was actually too much service. Maybe that is why the prices are rather high. The food lacked a lot. Our soup was rather plain, just noodles, bean sprouts and a bit of pork. The Sweat and Sour pork was not very tasty and the pork pieces were about 1/3 FAT. Later in the day we each had upset stomachs and intestines. This was the first and the last time to go there.
YukoStu — Google review
Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere here. Only waited 5 minutes for a seat on Sunday afternoon. Waiters were friendly and attentive. As others have mentioned, the only downside was the price. Didn’t quite feel like it was worth the money, but I would go back and tell others for try it.

Visited here for Chinese New Year eve dinner. Excellent interior. Service is top notch and the food was really good too. Probably one of the better restaurants in Chinatown. They have a good range of good quality tea as well. Highly recommended.
Jack H — Google review
We visited the two highest rated Cantonese restaurants in Chinatown today. One for lunch and this one for dinner. While our dinner experience was not nearly as good as lunch, this restaurant stands on its own as a good dining option. The restaurant’s first floor dining room is ornate and we were able to enjoy live music while we ate. Service was good, but not friendly. Prices were high, but portions were large. We left happy we tried it, but deciding that we probably wouldn’t be back.

Chinese restaurant
Shatenki is a low-key venue that specializes in Cantonese dumplings, meat dishes, and traditional congee porridge. It is highly recommended for its expertise in rice porridge. Shumien, a Taiwanese restaurant known for its Lu Rou Fan (minced pork rice), and the oldest establishment Manchinro Honten, famous for its dumplings, are also worth visiting.
Shatenki is a must-visit spot in Yokohama Chinatown, especially if you’re a fan of authentic Chinese comfort food. While they’re known for their crispy spring rolls and juicy dumplings, their congee (Chinese rice porridge) is the real hidden gem! The congee is silky, flavorful, and packed with toppings like tender chicken, seafood, or century egg. It’s the perfect dish for a light but satisfying meal, especially on a chilly day or when you just want something warm and soothing. Plus, it’s super affordable, making it a great option for a budget-friendly but delicious meal. The restaurant has a classic, no-frills Chinatown vibe, with friendly service and a lively atmosphere. Whether you’re here for a quick bite or a full meal, Shatenki delivers on taste and value. Check out the photos and see for yourself!

The staff could speak mandarin which was helpful for ordering. The menu was not extensive, but that was the reason why I chose it out of the hundreds of restaurants in Chinatown. They specialize in rice congee and a few dishes and I was fortunate not to have to queue at 2pm. Opted for the crab in ginger sauce (the ginger was a bit strong and most of all the dish was salty) which arrived prepared for easy consumption. The 3-treasure congee was a little too thin for my liking, but it was tasty.

This is my absolute favorite porridge (Okayu) place in Yokohama Chinatown! I always come here when I'm in the area. I always order the Offal Porridge (Motsu-Gayu), and this time I also tried the Shrimp Shumai and the Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork. The Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork was a first for me, but it was incredibly delicious - the black vinegar had a rich umami flavor! Their customer service is wonderful as well. Just a note: they only take reservations for banquets, so you'll have to wait in line for regular dining. Thank you as always! I will definitely be back.

Mainly a congee restaurant. I went with the salted egg congee and was not disappointed (864 yen taxes in). Cash only. Mandarin speaking staff, efficient service. Small restaurant but easy to find.

Soba noodle shop
Matsubara-An is a hidden gem located near Yuigahama Station in Tokyo. Housed in a traditional Japanese building with original features and a spacious courtyard, this restaurant specializes in teuchi soba, handmade buckwheat noodles prepared by skilled chefs. In addition to soba, the menu offers an array of side dishes such as sashimi, chilled tofu, and dashimaki tamago (rolled omelette), along with a selection of premium sake.
An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The food was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The ambiance was equally impressive: stylish, inviting, and full of thoughtful details. What truly set this restaurant apart, though, was the incredibly kind and attentive staff. Warm hospitality, genuine recommendations, and service that made us feel valued. We’ll definitely be back—thank you for a memorable evening!

Nestled in a neighborhood of Kamukara near Yuigahama station is an old fashioned restaurant with delicious food and an amazing staff. You must take off your shoes when entering. Inside seating is on the floor and outside is at a table. Ordered cold soba, with mushroom sauce, seafood tempura melody, omelette and seared duck. It was all good, then added a scoop of their forage rock salt and each dish truly popped into something special. Soba was refreshing, light and slight sweet and savory umami flavor from the mushroom sauce. Not personally a fan of the finely minced daikon radish but it was mild and didn’t detract from the meal. Tempura was lightly fried. Contained shrimp, octopus, sweet potato, seaweed, mushroom and what I thought was a green bean but turned out to be a pepper. The al a carte omelette came with four pieces tamagoyaki and could be a meal onto itself. The seared duck was surprisingly cold and tasted reminiscent of pork. It was good, not something I’d order again.

Wonderful soba place close to the sea. Ambience is refined and very gentle. Food is well prepared, superb presentation and top quality. Restrooms are comfortable too and clean. There is availability for sits outside and inside. Wonderful experience. Sun-dried sardines have the taste on one time, very authentic. Super tasty.

Very quite and peaceful place. There was no waiting line. The staffs was so friendly and English menu was available. I asked for the recommendation then she suggested the cold soba. With slices duck as side, my lunch was so yummy and perfect. Place was so cozy! Check the pictures and you know what i mean ☺️

This Californian-inspired restaurant takes pride in using locally sourced, fresh ingredients to create their cuisine. The friendly staff and reasonable prices add to the inviting atmosphere of this establishment.
A lovely restaurant with greeneries all around. The family drove all the way here for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. Public parking was just a few steps away. The servers though couldn’t speak much English, were very friendly and helpful. Even repeating our orders in English to ensure that orders were right. The ingredients used were extremely excellent. Loved their sausages which they made in-house. They were packed with flavours and in our opinion, a must order. Even their pancakes tasted awesome. Reasonable prices in view of the fresh ingredients used in their dishes. Very soothing environment, especially if you are seated outside.

Amazing place in Kamakura!! I had to wait about 10-15 min for my table (I was alone), but it was totally worth the wait! I got the sweet pancakes with an oat milk latte. Honestly, it’s worth coming here for the coffee alone. It was insanely delicious, and they give you a card with where the coffee came from and other information. Super cool! Would definitely come here again. Super friendly staff, too!

Great food. Place was super busy but food came out very quick. Staff was friendly. All food was good and fresh tasting.
Stephanie P — Google review
I ordered a classic strawberry shake, which tasted good, but I feel the strawberry flavor could have been a touch stronger. The place itself is cozy and conveniently located, making it easy to find. Edit: have tried the white and chocolate classic shakes also, and it was just as good as the strawberry one. Also had the french fries with cheese, the cheese sauce was generous, not just on top but layered in the middle too. However, the fries got soggy when served, and the cheese sauce could have been a bit cheesier.
Ghifaroza — Google review
Great food, but if you’re expecting the burgers to taste exactly the same as they do in the U.S., you won’t find that here. The fries taste exactly the same though. I’d definitely recommend trying this Shake Shack out!
Megan B — Google review
Is a meal at ShakeShack really worth three times as much as at McDonalds across the street? I used to think so but I am starting to doubt it. At my recent visit, the hamburger was dripping in fat (partly because the bread was fried), you could not taste the cheese, and even though I ordered a SmokeStack, there was no real smoke aroma. And the bun was soggy. The cheese fries were OK but only that. And the black sesame shake was great but did not work with the meal, plus it was so thick that I had to pull it out of the cup. No, it is not really worth three times the competitors price.
Wisterian W — Google review
I decided to try a black sesame milkshake. I admit, I was a bit worried but the experience was excellent. It was a lot like a peanut butter milkshake but with sesame as the nutty flavor instead of peanut. Different, not as sweet as it would be at home, but excellent. The service is excellent. There are order machines. The staff also has a picture menu and their English is excellent. The food looks good with generous portions for the burgers.

I was impressed. I'd stop in again if I'm near by and hungery

Decided to try this place out since it’s an American franchise and was surprised to find one in Japan. Great customer service. Went in the evening and it was busy but order came real quick (less than 5 minutes). The establishment is nice and they keep the tables and area clean. Good quality burgers. Patties are large and cooked well enough to be juicy in the inside and the buns has a soft texture to it. Tastes like a burger should, almost gourmet.

Izakaya restaurant
Zauo is a unique dining experience located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The restaurant offers the opportunity for guests to catch their own fish and have it prepared in various ways. Whether you prefer your fish steamed in a soy base, as tempura, or as sashimi, Zauo can accommodate your preferences. However, it's important to note that the lack of an English menu may pose a challenge for non-Japanese speakers.
This was one of the restaurants we definitely wanted to visit while our stay in japan, which turned out to be a fantastic place to enjoy unlimited drinks, a seafood set menu, and most importantly, fishing! The food is fresh and delicious, and they cooked or filleted the fish we caught according to our preferences. Our server, Momoka, was incredibly attentive, kind, and patient with us tourists. She even helped me catch some fish! All the staff were friendly and welcoming with big smiles. We are looking forward to returning on our next visit to Japan.

Super fun place to go as a family, the fish-what-you-eat gives another entertaining dimension to the meal and it is difficult to get a fresher fish dish ! The main remains used for sashimi was still slightly spasming when it arrived. The staff is warm and patient. It was an overall nice experience.

This place is so awesome. You can catch your own fish and then have it immediately prepared in different ways. Thee flounder was amazing, also very easy to catch you just drag hook them, don't really have to try. Had the flounder steamed in a soy base, also tempura and sashimi. All 3 where amazing.
Tyler F — Google review
Zauo is a live fishing restaurant. I absolutely loved my experience here being a keen fisherman myself. It is advisable to make a reservation ahead of time as this place is very popular. If you dont know any Japanese but are staying in a hotel, ask your front desk to make your reservation for you, as the staff at the restaurant speak very little English although they are incredibly welcoming and hospitable! There is limited seating in the "boat" in the middle of the fishing pond, I would recommend booking at least 3 days in advance and ask the person making the reservation to ask for it specifically. If you are a smoker, half of the restaurant is smoking friendly so you are able to request seating here if desired. Once you arrive you will be shown to your table and given a menu. There is a very large tasting menu available, there is also a children's menu. If you're not really into eating fish, as one of our party wasnt, I recommend the chicken wings and fries, both are sensational. Once you have ordered drinks you will be shown where to fish. Basically any of the fish in the containers closest to the downstairs tables have a set price clearly shown. You use a small rod with several hooks for these and they are simple to catch. If you want to try your luck at the more tricky fish, the low end ones are at the front right, nearest to the kitchen and the more expensive ones are at the back of the restaurant nearest the bridge. (Front 2900 yen Back 4900 yen) the fishing rod rent is 100 yen each but all bait is free. You bait your hook and drop it into the water and wait for your fish to bite, then use a small hand net. Once in the net, alert a server and they will come over and ask how you want your fish prepared. It is best to point to it on the menu if you dont speak Japanese. You can have your fish one way or two separate ways. I chose to have mine half sashimi and half deep fried. The other two options are tempura and boiled. It is delivered to your table head and tail on for decorative purposes so be prepared to look it in the eye! We had an absolutely fantastic experience in this restaurant and will definitely go again. Do recommend!
Katie S — Google review
Very overpriced. Bland fish. No spices. I payed 38$, to eat a non seasoned grilled fish. The only place that makes this place good is the gimmicm that you fish your own fish. I came here with high expectations on the taste of the fish and was highly dissapointed. But they do have a fun "Capture it, and its cheaper" deal. So its somewhat fun. The staff seemed very highly unmtotivated. All in all I spent 80$ for a very non flavorful bland dinner.
Bryan M — Google review
Fun place for the family to enjoy super fresh seafood. Customers can catch their own fish and have the chef prepare them on the spot!!!
Jimmy L — Google review
I recommend this place for travelers. It's overpriced, but it's definitely an experience. You get to fish (yes fishing pole and net) and they will prep the food the way you want. They even hit the taiko drums and celebrate when you catch one. Ask the chef in the back how they recommend a certain fish to be prepped. There was a fish where it was so fresh that it was still moving when it arrived. Unfortunately, this place hasn't aged well. It looks really dated/dirty and they hired some clueless workers that rip the hook out of the fish's mouth, forget requests, and don't know much about how the fish should be prepped. The food you get is OVERPRICED. You are definitely paying for the experience. The "tai" fish was roughly 3500 yen. I went to a grocery store and the same fish 2-3x the size was 1000 yen. I would never go back, but I STILL recommend it for travelers looking for an experience and kids. You won't forget this place. The location is quite a walk from the train station. Taxi from the station was about 5-10 mins and 1500-2000 yen.

One of the best burgers I’ve had! I go to restaurants all over the world to find a good and unique burger and I have to say that the donut jam burger I had was the perfect mix of savory and sweet. Absolutely awesome burgers! If you are looking for something different and unique, this is definitely the place. I went for the doughnut burger which I have never seen before in my life and was vindicated in my choice. The personal touch is also great. Each table gets a numbered animal after ordering. It is very creative and very cute. The only thing that seems to be lacking is the terrace. It is really quite a shame, because we visited the restaurant in order to enjoy the view. However it was summer, and the outdoor area is completely open so we could not handle the heat. I am not sure if the terrace is better in winter or is sealed off at some time of the year, but summer is definitely not the right time to sit outside.

The pizzeria has gained recognition for its culinary prowess, having won a team silver medal at the true Neapolitan Pizza Association world championship. Visitors can expect an authentic taste of Naples when dining here. The menu features a wide selection of pizza options with various toppings, including vegetarian and vegan choices.
As italian, i'm very glad to give a five star to the GG. The Pizza is nearly like the real napoletana. Really. In fact the service was welcoming. I saw a lot of manual work in the open kitchen and i can say that they know how to work the raw materials well, by using quality products and a classic wood oven. Forget about all negative reviews, here you can taste one of the best flavor of our italian food. Trust me! Bravo GG!

The pizza here is meticulously made in Neapolitan style. Thin crust, perfectly cooked in a blazing wood fired oven in less than 90 seconds, a tiny bit droopy in the center. Even served uncut to the table with a knife and fork! Great attention to detail! Ingredients were fresh and delicious. There’s definitely a “fusion”angle to some of the pizza toppings and classics available too.

The service was great. The food came out quickly. Every dish was delish!! Pizza was amazing. The crust is so delicious - if you’re the type that skips out on the crust, you’ll miss out if you don’t eat it. The appetizer of fried food was great. The fried macaroni & cheese was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended!! We came early so we got a table right away.

My family is from Napoli and I’ve been there often, in this pizzeria it feels like being in Napoli. Every dish recalls me the taste of the ingredients I find usually only in Napoli. The tomato, the mozzarella, the cicoli in the pizza fritta, the zeppoline, frittatina and crocchè, all identical to what you can eat in Napoli. Among the best pizzerias of Japan and the world according to my experience!

We are a group of Italians that decided to spend a day in the beautiful city of Kamakura. Around 6PM we left the beach and decided to head back to the train station to return to Tokyo, when we spotted the restaurant “Pizzeria GG”. Our attention was caught by the sign “Vera Pizza Napoletana”, a recognition that is awarded exclusively to restaurant owners that learned the art of pizza baking in the city of Napoli - Italy. We were 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids) and despite the fact that the restaurant was fully booked, the team offered to accommodate us outside. We have ordered “angioletti” (fried dough with cherry tomatoes, rucola salad and olive oil) and fried pizza as starters. As main course we all had pizza (4 margherita, 1 parmigiana, 1 capricciosa, 1 marinara and 1 americana). We were so full but we decided to order a portion of sweet “angioletti” (fried dough with Nutella and vanilla ice cream). Everything was so delicious and authentic!! We were so happy and surprised to find out that a restaurant was able to offer such incredible authentic Neapolitan style pizza so far away from Napoli. We had the chance to meet the Japanese owner who could speak Italian because he lived in Napoli, where he learned all the secrets of pizza baking. He and is entire team are doing a great job and I warmly recommend all of you to drop by and try his pizza. We also learned that the owner opened a pizzeria in the Tokyo area (same name, Pizzeria GG), in case Kamakura should be too far for you.

We visited Pizzeria GG in Kamakura after seeing its high Google rating, but the experience fell short of expectations. The pizza was okay — not terrible, but definitely not worth the high prices. The shop itself is very average in terms of atmosphere. What frustrated me the most was the review section: full of people (some claiming to be Italian) saying this is just like pizza “back home” or calling it a great budget option — which simply isn’t true. These kinds of exaggerated reviews are misleading and create false hype. I’m giving four stars because one star would feel unfair based on the food quality alone — but if I rated purely based on value and the honesty of the overall hype, it would’ve been one.

We were shocked by the quality of this pizzeria. The tomatoes are juicy, the buffalo mozzarella is amazing and the pizza is crispy and super delicious. We will definitely be back. Strongly recommend the «Margarita extra»

A delicious and authentic representation of Napoletana pizza. Service was particularly fast and it was very easy to get a table. I would definitely eat here again if in Kamakura.

Japanese restaurant
Ohtanawanoren, a renowned restaurant in the city, is famous for its gyu-nabe, a Japanese take on beef stew. The dish features diced beef, miso, and green onions cooked over an earthen charcoal brazier in a specially made shallow pot. Established over 150 years ago, Ohtanawanoren exudes classic Japanese charm with delicate paper sliding doors and golden tatami mats.
The original beef hot pot restaurant! Enjoy the well-known Yokohama specialty! Although I grew up in Yokohama, few people around me have ever eaten beef hot pot. I made up my mind to go eat such historically famous beef hot pot. There are several famous restaurants in Yokohama, but I made a reservation here because I thought I would be able to taste a more civilized experience since it is served on a shichirin (a seven-ring stove) instead of gas. Although I did not specify it, I was guided to a private room, and a veteran waitress prepares a beef hot pot. There was a courtyard and the restaurant had the appearance of a high-class restaurant. The service is very attentive and you can enjoy a moment of elegance. It is perfect for special occasions! Anyway, there is a sense of calmness. I was worried about the "Fuku Course" but chose the "Beef Pot Flower Course" because I did not know what the seasonal dish would be like. Each of the appetizers was carefully prepared with craftsmanship. Do not underestimate the fact that beef hot pot is the main course. If you think of ryokan cuisine, you are wrong. I was satisfied with the generous portions. Unlike the sweetness of sukiyaki, beef nabe is stewed in sweet miso. It looks like it might be too rich and stomach-churning? I thought so, but the beef cubes are domestically produced and the fat is not cloying. It is tender and tasty enough without marbling. It is served with an egg, which mellows it out and makes it a superb dish. It is even better with rice! Beef hot pot itself is expensive and there is a service charge, so it is not easy to get in, but we stretched ourselves to go there as a reward (^^). Because of the popularity of the restaurant, reservations are recommended one month in advance.

(Translated by Google) A 7-minute walk from Hinodecho Station. Founded in 1868, Ota Nawanoren is a long-established restaurant that continues to serve the Yokohama-originated beef stew. Said to be the originator of beef stew, which became popular with the Meiji Restoration, this renowned restaurant boasts over 150 years of history. The traditional style involves simmering diced beef and vegetables in a secret Edo-style sweet miso sauce. The relaxing, inn-like atmosphere and attentive service create a special experience. While they also offer courses, this time I opted for a la carte options. ⭐️ Menu Items ☑︎ Chunked Beef Stir-Fry (120g of Beef) ¥8,200 ☑︎ Seafood Salad ¥2,970 ☑︎ Rice and Pickles ¥770 10% Service Charge Included The beef stir-fry is tender, with a high-quality flavor and the fat melting away easily. The miso sauce is slightly thick but rich, and pairs perfectly with beaten eggs. The rich flavor makes you want to eat more rice, and it pairs perfectly with unlimited white rice. The miso itself is also great with rice. The seafood salad includes sashimi such as amberjack, tuna, and white squid. We also recommend ordering it with beef stew. They're open for lunch on weekends, but reservations can be hard to come by, so make sure you book early. This is a rare restaurant where you can experience the historic "original beef stew," so be sure to visit. Thank you for the meal! (Translated by Google) A must-visit restaurant for Yokohama residents! A long-established, renowned restaurant! ✨ A chunk-cut beef stew restaurant with the longest history in Yokohama. 🐮 --------------------------------- "Ota Nawanoren" in 10 seconds ▶︎Originating in Yokohama! A long-established, renowned restaurant serving "beef stew," a flavor of the Meiji Restoration. ▶︎Established in 1868! The same chunk-cut style as back then! ▶︎The luxurious inn-like atmosphere and impressive hospitality are unmatched! --------------------------------- "Ota Nawanoren" is one of Yokohama's most renowned, long-established restaurants, known for its beef stew, a signature dish of the meat-eating culture that spread with the Meiji Restoration. It all began in 1868, when the founder, Otokichi Takahashi, was inspired by botan nabe (boar hotpot) and came up with a way to boil beef in a shallow iron pot without grilling it. He then opened a specialty restaurant. Yokohama is home to other famous gyunabe restaurants, including Janomeya, established in 1893, and Araiya, established in 1895. Among them, this restaurant, founded in 1868, has the longest history and is unique for its chunky cuts of meat. (The restaurant where gyunabe originated is a different story, but it no longer exists.) This time, I was excited to visit with two fellow gourmets who had gathered together in admiration of this long-established restaurant! In a mostly private room, where we could relax and enjoy the elegant courtyard garden illuminated at night, we enjoyed the gyunabe of our dreams. @gourmet_927 @taku.0908_yokohama ------------------------------------------------- Here's the menu we had: ‍💁‍♀️ ▶︎"Chopped Beef Hot Pot (1 serving, 120g meat)" ¥8,200 ▶︎"Rice and Pickles (1 serving)" ¥770 ▶︎"Seafood Salad" ¥2,970 ▶︎"Hakushika Junmai Ginjo" ¥1,500 *Separate service charge A 10% surcharge applies. *Prices include tax and are based on a visit in September 2025. ------------------------------------------------ ▶︎ "Chikuri Gyu Nabe" (Beef Hotpot) *Image shows a serving for three This "Ota Nawanoren"-style beef hotpot is served the same way since the restaurant's founding: simmering chunks of beef, vegetables, tofu, and shirataki noodles in a secret simmering sauce made with Edo-style sweet miso and seasonings. From start to finish, beautiful, veteran staff members dressed in kimonos will take care of you, skillfully dividing the beef into portions for three people. The reason the beef is served in chunks is because...the first owner, who loved alcohol and was generous, would work in the kitchen under the rope curtain from early in the morning, slightly tipsy (lol), and would always serve the meat in lavish chunks! However, since the original owner originally ran a beef skewer shop, he apparently excelled at cutting beef into chunks rather than thin slices (according to his husband). Despite its bold, diced appearance, the beef was surprisingly tender, incredibly flavorful, and simply delicious!! It was quite fatty, but perhaps because it was high-quality meat, it didn't leave me feeling bloated at all!! It was a decent amount of meat at 120g, but I honestly thought, "If it's this delicious, I want to eat three servings!" Am I the only one who thought this...? The secret miso sauce is rich and rich, and when enjoyed with beaten eggs, it becomes even more mellow. As it gradually simmers and becomes slightly browned, the sauce becomes even more delicious! I was told that this miso sauce would be delicious with the unlimited white rice served in a rice container, so I tried it and it was absolutely amazing! ♡ ▶︎"Seafood Salad" I'd heard the seafood here was also delicious, so I ordered one to go with my drinks before the beef stew! On this day, I chose a salad paired with amberjack, tuna, and squid sashimi, which was also delicious. ▶︎Finally This restaurant has the ambiance of a luxury inn, and the experienced staff were attentive to our needs. It was a thrilling, uplifting dinner experience. They're open only on weekends for lunch, and offer great value! However, reservations are difficult to come by, so be sure to book early. Janomeya, located in Isezakicho, is a well-known restaurant that has been specializing in gyu-nabe since the Meiji Era. It is famous for serving top-quality A5-ranked beef and delicious beef hotpot dishes. The restaurant offers an upscale dining experience with exceptional customer service and private dining rooms for a more intimate setting.
Our first real meal in Japan! We wanted to go to another place nearby which is the oldest gyu nabe restaurant in Yokohama but they were fully booked even though our hotel called the day reservations opened supposedly. The beef set we got was really good. The meat was soft and delicious. The mushroom was the silkiest I’ve ever had. Their nabe sauce is different and very good. I only wish they cooked for you though because I don’t think we balanced the sauce well.

(Translated by Google) To be honest, I've never thought sukiyaki was that delicious. However, I wanted to find a restaurant that I could take foreigners to when they came, and my companions also wanted to try it out, so we went there on Saturday, the first day of Golden Week. At 16:00, there are not many customers. Or rather, we were the only ones there. For now, I ordered an appetizer set of 1000 yen for beef hot pot loin and beer snacks for 6000 yen. You can choose between rice and noodles. It was OK to refill the rice as many times as you wanted. The sukiyaki I ate for the first time in a while was delicious. The meat was expensive and it was great. I thought I had ordered extra meat, but for foreigners who are not used to eating marbled beef, thigh meat may be easier to eat than marbled beef. Even peaches are marbled enough!

Food was delicious, just a bit pricey for the portion….even in Japan. I did the pasta course, my wife did the chef’s special, and our daughter went with the cheese burger. Recommend to request the sauce on the side for the burger, as it has a unique flavor kinda like A1, which some kinds may not like. The specialty drinks are wonderful as well, but 990yen and non-alcoholic. All is all, a great place to visit. They also do live entertainment.

Service is good. The food however, weak. An attempt to be chinese cuisine, but falling short. Sure, you can hear the chef with his wok clanking around, but that is the nearest you will get to the quality you expected from this place. Shrimp was the only good dish due to the freshness and plumpness of the ingredient. Weak sichuan noodles flavour. Dumpling almost like those from a supermarket frozen section. Fish texture good due to the quality of the fish, but flavor again, does not hit the quality of a good chinese fish dish. Meat overly salty. Might have been good with rice. Chinese vegetables, nothing special, no wok taste, something that can be easily made at home. Mapo tofu, the tofu is weirdly tough, feels very low tier. Overall, even the cai fan stall near my house can whip up dishes that are higher quality than this. You would do well to go to top quality chinese restaurants than this place.

Disappointed. Stuffs kept talking with loyal customers during our lunch time with a loud voice. They seems to care only loyal customers who drink alcohol, which should be a profit to a restaurant (we ordered some soft drinks). I felt that they don’t care much about food but alcohol. I’ve visited many restaurants but never experienced such a disappointment. We payed around 45,000 JPY for two, but doesn’t worth it. I wouldn’t get disappointed if this is a 居酒屋.

I was here yesterday and came back for it today, even if I went to Kamakuru today and it was not exactly on my way home. The Pizza with buffalo mozzarella is great, also the Doria with Meat Sauce and cheese. It’s really cheap but you might have to order two dishes if you are really hungry. Walked over to World porters for some late dinner after riding the cosmo clock. Saizeria was one of the few restaurants open late here at world porters. I ordered • Meat sauce doria⁣ • Hamburg steak set ⁣ If you are traveling to Japan on a tight budget add a saizeria to you list, They are a chain with many locations around Japan. The food was extremely affordable! Everything in that picture, plus unlimited drinks came down to ¥1050.⁣

Very expensive place, especially considering it is in Kawasaki. But the quality of food and service are definitely top-notch, and it is one of those very few options in Kawasaki where you can bring someone special or very important without being afraid of getting embarassed. There’s a limited but great selection of items in both drinks and food menu.

(Translated by Google) Today, I visited Teppanyaki Miyan in Kawasaki. A friend told me about a new teppanyaki restaurant that had opened in Kawasaki, so I decided to join them since I hadn't had a chance to eat teppanyaki in a while. d(^_^o) It seems they offer an all-you-can-drink option, which is unusual for a teppanyaki restaurant. Let me give you a brief introduction to the restaurant. _φ(・_・ Enjoy the finest A5 Kuroge Wagyu beef and sommelier-selected wines at this "adult hideaway." Established in Kawasaki 13 years ago, this hidden teppanyaki restaurant offers dishes made with the finest Kuroge Wagyu beef, domestic spiny lobster, Hokkaido scallops, locally grown vegetables, foie gras, and other ingredients carefully selected from across the country. With a lively counter seating and private rooms perfect for entertaining or celebrations, it's perfect for a variety of occasions. They also have a wide selection of fine wines, such as Kenzo Estate, and rare whiskeys, including Akkeshi and Ichiro's Malt. We have a wide selection, so enjoy the artisanal craftsmanship while savoring the pairing. Enjoy a quality time in a calm space away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It appears to have been renovated last October. They also have sister stores in Yokohama and Shinagawa. d(^_^o) Get off at Keikyu Kawasaki Station on the Keikyu Line and head to the store. It's about a 10-minute walk from the central exit. The store is on the 5th floor of the building. The elevator is at the back of the building, so it can be hard to find at first glance... Don't worry, you don't have to go up the stairs. ◠‿◠ ) When I entered the bar, I was greeted by the assistant manager, Mr. Toraya. He was incredibly polite and handsome! (^_−)−☆ My companion ordered a bottle of beer, and he quickly poured another glass as soon as it was almost empty. ( ゚д゚) The bar is quite spacious, with a counter, tables, and private rooms. The atmosphere is a wonderful blend of Japanese and Western styles! The lighting is also soft and relaxing. ( ◠‿◠ ) Today, we had a number of customers with reservations and children celebrating their birthdays, so the bar was bustling and busy. (^◇^) For our first drink, we had sparkling wine. d( ̄ ̄) After that, I just kept drinking wine. Every wine was delicious, and I ended up drinking way too much... I finished off with a strong barley shochu and soda, which knocked me out (><) Now, now! It's time for the standard course! It's been a while since I've had teppanyaki, so I'm looking forward to it! "Amuse-bouche" We started off with grilled A5 Wagyu beef sirloin shabu-shabu. The seared sirloin melted in my mouth! The kale and toasted breadcrumbs were a perfect match! My stomach was hooked right from the start. ( //∇//) "Appetizer Platter" Marinated Octopus It's plump and chewy, but easy to bite through! The more you chew, the more the octopus flavor bursts out. It's delicious! The sansho pepper adds a nice tang. Topped with Russian pancakes, rillettes The fluffy pancakes have a simple flavor, and they pair wonderfully with the robust rillettes. Gazpacho This is a cool tomato soup. It's crisp, crisp, rich, and delicious! It has a clean aftertaste and is easy on the stomach. ( ´ ▽ ` ) "Organic Vegetable Salad" Finished with a generous sprinkling of Kagoshima bonito flakes!! The aroma is amazing!! I'm so happy!! The dressing is oil-free, made with yuzu and dashi broth, and the rich flavor and aroma of the bonito flakes adds a delicious touch!! The myoga adds a nice accent, and the other vegetables also have a strong flavor. This is the first time I've had a salad like this ( ゚д゚) "Chef's Recommended Seafood Teppanyaki" Today's dish is teppanyaki scallops and sawara mackerel. Served with spinach, Provençal, and tomato sauce. The Hokkaido scallops are plump and full of flavor!! The cooking is superb!! The acidity of the tomato sauce is a perfect match!! The sawara mackerel has crispy skin and moist, fatty flesh, making it delicious!! The savory Provençal and slightly sweet The spinach sauce is also great. "Top-notch A5 Rank Kuroge Wagyu Steak" This is lean rump. Start with salt and fried onions. It's delicious!! The cooking is exquisite, the fat isn't heavy, and the more you chew, the more flavor it releases!! The condiments, grated daikon radish, ponzu sauce, wasabi, and homemade garlic soy sauce, are refreshing and easy to eat. This is amazing!! It's been a while since I've had wagyu beef that I can truly say is delicious!! "Today's Meal" Finally, we have crab rice. The dashi broth is great, and the rice is delicious!! The generous amount of crab on top is also great!! Finally, we pour the dashi broth over it, and it's amazing!! The aroma and flavor of the bonito flakes combine wonderfully with the crab!! This is the perfect ending (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾ "Dessert" Black sesame and honey dessert!! The sesame flavor was rich and delicious!! Is this really Kawasaki?! I'm so happy!! The atmosphere and food were both amazing!! I was so happy to have such a luxurious time!! The chefs, Mr. Kishikawa and Mr. Seki, were in charge of the cooking. Seki's cooking skills were especially impressive. He started working at an ANA restaurant, and now he's a 65-year-old veteran. I never got bored watching him cook. d( ̄ ̄) The meal began with grilled A5 Wagyu sirloin shabu-shabu. I immediately thought I was hooked. Next was a three-course appetizer platter of octopus, rillettes, and gazpacho. The salad was topped with generous sprinkles of Kagoshima bonito flakes, and featured richly flavored and fragrant organic vegetables with a non-oil yuzu and dashi dressing. I was blown away by the amazing salad!! Next, we had thick Hokkaido scallops, and fatty mackerel with spinach, Provençal, and tomato sauce. Everything was perfectly complemented by the ingredients and was absolutely delicious!! And to top it off, we had the top-notch A5 Wagyu steak!! It was lean rump meat, but it was just the right amount of fatty and delicious!! The fat wasn't too heavy, and it didn't leave me feeling bloated at all!! The condiments—ponzu, wasabi, garlic soy sauce, salt, and fried onions—all complemented the meat perfectly, and I savored them slowly and carefully. (//∇//) To finish, I had rice infused with the rich crab flavor, and poured a dashi broth rich in bonito flakes!! This was my first time experiencing a teppanyaki restaurant that offered such a delicious finale. ( ゚д゚) The service from Mr. Torayama and his staff was also excellent, making me feel like I was in Ginza, not Kawasaki. At the counter, you can watch the food being prepared right before your eyes, allowing you to enjoy the live atmosphere. The course begins with grilled Japanese Black Beef sirloin shabu-shabu, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and the exquisite aroma of bonito flakes and breadcrumbs. The appetizer platter includes sea bass marinated in kelp, blinis topped with beef and ginger rillettes, and chilled vichyssoise, all carefully prepared to bring out the flavor of the ingredients. The Japanese-style salad, fragrant with white dashi and yuzu dressing, is topped with plenty of bonito flakes and adds refreshing accents with myoga ginger and green onions. The main courses were "Spanish Spanish mackerel and scallop teppanyaki" and "Fukushima A5-rank Kuroge Wagyu beef rump steak," served with two types of sauce: a rich sea urchin sauce and a Provençal sauce. The steak can be enjoyed with different flavors, such as salt, ponzu sauce, real wasabi, and garlic soy sauce. To finish, we had crab rice infused with the flavor of crab. It can also be enjoyed as ochazuke with bonito broth. The black sesame and honey gelato for dessert was also impressive, with its fragrant aroma and gentle sweetness. For drinks, we chose draft beer, plum wine and soda, and oolong tea, making for a very satisfying dinner. French restaurant
Hitotsu is a culinary gem that beautifully marries French creativity with Japanese flavors, all while emphasizing seasonal ingredients and organic vegetables. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, this restaurant offers lunch and dinner in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, perfect for any occasion. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted around a theme, showcasing not only exquisite taste but also stunning presentation—especially the standout vegetable parfait that delights both the eyes and palate. The ambiance is calming, enhanced by soothing music that complements the dining experience.
I first heard of Hitotsu from a popular IRL Japanese streamer who's sister is the chef of this restaurant, and the chef's husband is also a chef and owner of this restaurant, so I had to take a trip to Totsuka in Yokohama and try their French cusine. I went for the most expensive lunch set that they had and it did not dissapoint, all dishes were elegant, beautifully presented and taste really delicious, especially the first two appetisers: an aubergine, conger and cheese monaka and the second a vegtable parfait with a sweet jelly at these were the most stand out and amazing dishes as I have never taated anything like this. The staff have been excellent and friendly and it was nice to meet the chefs and speak to them. Definitely recommended and worth experiencing French cuisine with ingredients and a soul touch from Japan.

Small Modern style restaurant and fantastic food. The chef is top-notch, and he is very adamant that you like the food. He puts a lot of talent and heart into it. That being said, the timeline between dishes is a bit long. Dinner was almost 4hrs, which to me is just too long. If the timeline was a bit shorter, maybe 2-2.5hrs i might return.

The chef takes precise thought and care in designing each dish. Everything from the vegetables to the herbs is carefully selected to create robust and flavorful meals. The ambience is relaxing and comforting creating the perfect date night or family night out. The set course meal allows you to sit back, relax, and let the Chef impress you. Whether you live in the area or take a day trip to Kamakura, you MUST stop by Hitotsu and enjoy the most delicious meal in the Tokyo area 😁

Sushi Aoi Aobadai Ten offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully marries modern and traditional Japanese aesthetics. The restaurant's interior is bright and spacious, featuring cozy raised-floor seating areas and sunken horigotatsu tables, making it an inviting spot for families to unwind. During my visit, I was thrilled by the lunch menu, which boasted a variety of delectable sushi options alongside two types of miso soup and an all-you-can-eat inari zushi selection.
Naoki is a legend! We spent a long time walking around Aobadai looking for somewhere with vegetarian/vegan options, eventually we decided to try here. The waiting staff were excellent in helping me finding dishes I could eat, especially Naoki, and the food that arrived was great! Recommend the plum cucumber maki, vegetable tempura, miso and tofu inari for anybody struggling to find vegan dishes in Aobadai! We spent £15 for two people

I have heard a lot of good feedbacks about the place before visiting and got an opportunity to visit it for the first time! Running ahead I would like to say that wish to visit it again and even with my family. They have lunch menu containing several options of the very tasty sushi, plus the set includes 2 types of miso soup, steamed egg dessert and all you can eat for inari zushi! You can enjoy both hot and cold Japanese traditional green tea and make sure will eat enough of hand made tasty sushi. The lunch is a bit costly where the cheapest set costs 950 Yens and up to 1500. It’s about 7 min walk from the Aobadai station. Very unique atmosphere! Very recommended! Make sure you read the QR code and leave a feedback if you have something to say :) about the service.

They have beautiful sushi, a children's set, and an all-you-can-eat inari sushi restaurant✨️ (There is no information from the staff, so I had to call out to them if they noticed it on the menu💦. It's a great service, so it makes a big impression if you sell it.) I personally like the shrimp soup, and they offer fried shrimp at takeaway price when you pay, so I'd like to visit again✨️ The restaurant is clean, not cramped, and the space is well lit. It seems to have a better atmosphere at night. The prices are reasonable, and the prices and variety of alcohol and beverages are at a satisfactory level. The taste seems to be below 2 levels. Is it important to focus on quality even if the average customer count increases? I don't think value for money is important to the Aobadai customer base. It was a slightly disappointing meal. (Translated by Google) I had been curious about this place while passing by it on my way here, and when I had the chance to visit Aobadai Station, I stopped in for lunch. The restaurant isn't directly in front of the station, so it's a bit of a walk, but it was reasonably busy at lunchtime. I ordered the "Market Omakase Nigiri (2,000 yen including tax)," which was listed as a lunchtime recommendation. When I ordered, I was asked, "How many inari sushi would you like?" and I answered three. Wondering why, I looked at the menu and saw that it also said "All-you-can-eat inari sushi." I started with a bite-sized inari sushi, followed shortly thereafter by the Market Omakase Nigiri, miso soup (with grated kelp and mitsuba), and chawanmushi (chicken, shiitake mushrooms, and ginkgo nuts). The rice was a little thin, and the wasabi wasn't very strong. All of the sushi was generally tasty, and I have no complaints. If you're really hungry, I recommend ordering a larger portion (six pieces, perhaps). (Apparently, it's all-you-can-eat.) Next, I'll try the Sai Kaisen-ju (Seafood Bowl) (¥2,200 including tax), which is available for free as a large portion. I'll have to remember to order a beer.

Jogenro is a Chinese restaurant located in Yokohama Chinatown, offering a wide variety of Chinese cuisine that delights the palates of many visitors. The large signboard and yellow color scheme exude luxury and elegance, creating a visually appealing dining atmosphere. The restaurant features Chinese-style tables and interiors, with friendly staff providing excellent hospitality. The menu includes delicious dishes and good alcohol options. Additionally, the restaurant offers regular tables as well as semi-private ones with impressive interiors.
Very classy but inexpensive Shanghai style restaurant. I had a lunch set and dim sum and my partner had spicy noodles. Some of the best food I have had in Japan. Everything was excellent. Will come back to Yokohama just to go here.

The deco in there was retro and attractive to me..food was good. They have set lunch which was quite affordable. If it's ALA carte the portion can be quite big. They have Chinese speaking staff. It was quite crowded.

We really enjoyed this Chinese restaurant in the heart of Yokohama's Chinatown. We got the set meal that was around ¥9,000 and included eight courses. It was absolutely delicious and I have no regrets spending that much money on an unforgettable experience. We predominantly visited for the shark fin soup but ended up enjoying all of the meals. The service was very quick and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend going to this restaurant.

This Chinese restaurant is great! The restaurant itself looks very nice! I like the Chinese style tables and interiors!! Also looks so good clean! The staffs are really friendly and good for hospitality! Of course the foods were amazing! All tastes great! And they serve good alcohol too! There are regular tables and at the end of the restaurant has good semi private tables! They have good interiors on it!! If you are looking for good Chinese restaurant in Yokohama Chinatown, I highly recommend here!

Excellent Chinese food for 9 of us on a company trip. Spent Y53,000 which seems reasonable. The photo of the lobster dish at Y6,000 was a bit misleading, maybe avoid. Also the Peking duck skin was a little underwhelming. We had the big table at the end, but the diner style alcove seating by the walls looks very nice and cozy as well.

Yokohama Chinatown is lined with many types of Chinese restaurants from Beijing, Shanghai, Cantonese, and Sichuan. Above all, Shanghai cuisine has many dishes that are familiar and easy to eat in Japan, such as xiao long bao, fried rice with five ingredients, braised pork, and fried shrimp. At Jang Yuan Lou, you can eat high-grade Shanghai cuisine in a spacious restaurant. Especially during lunchtime on weekdays, the menu is reasonably priced, so why not stop by casually?

Excellent family owned Chinese restaurant in the heart of Yokohama Chinatown. The food here is authentic and the service is top notch. Pricing is also very reasonable. Highly recommended. We ordered a variety of dishes a la carte, and all of them were very tasty. Highlights include the mapo tofu and stir fried seasonal vegetables. The interior of the restaurant is quite posh and clean. You can tell the owners put care into the operations.

If you had good experience eating at this restaurant last year, well the memory does not last this year. Completely different food by different chef. The "very salty" shark fin soup was very runny and barely any, mostly just jelly. the braised tofu was extremely salty, with high concentration of MSG. and the xiao long bao has a strong vinegar ending note taste in an unpleasant way. overall, just bland high MSG cooking style. soup, tofu, pork and everything taste the same. no sense of japanese or chinese or fusion cuisine, whatsoever.

Panda Hanten is a welcoming Chinese eatery that stands out for its iconic large panda statue at the entrance. The restaurant's signature dish is the adorable panda steamed buns, which not only look cute but also boast an authentic filling. In addition to this specialty, Panda Hanten offers well-prepared mapo doufu with proper mala flavors and expertly cooked shrimp. While some have found the prices to be slightly mismatched with portion sizes and quality, others appreciate the reasonable pricing.
Came here on 4th November on around 12:20-1PM. Was greeted by a kind clark. I had the spicy tofu main dish with several sides. Was very filling and delicious and not forgetting spicy. No English menu, but pictures with Google translate and the restaurant’s friendliness really helped here enjoy my and helped navigate as well. Probably one of my favourite meals on my first trip in Japan. I would visit here again if I was in Yokahama. I was the person from London England.

(Translated by Google) We visited after 3pm on a Saturday and it's located off the main street of Chinatown, so it feels like a hidden gem. There was no wait time and they guided us smoothly. Apparently, Hoshino Gen and Aragaki Yui, who I like, also visited this place in "Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu". We were able to eat where Gakki apparently sat during the shoot, so we were satisfied with that lol The female staff member was very kind and it was nice that she explained what kind of restaurant it was. I had sweet and sour pork with black vinegar and chinjaoro pork, which Ishi-chan also said to eat, but it also came with spring rolls, soup, and almond tofu, and it was only 990 yen. I think this is extremely cheap. The sweet and sour pork set meal also had pineapple in it and was very delicious. However, there was a lot of oil, including in the spring rolls, so I think you'll be quite full. The air conditioning was a little hot, so if you eat mapo tofu, you'll probably sweat a lot lol (Original)

We came on weekday around 2pm. We waited more than 40 minutes. Staffs were chilling and chatted with each others. Guests who came after us got their orders and finished their meals before us. They didn't tell us that the food would be late nor even apologize. They just started preparing our orders after we asked. And till the end, no staffs apologized. Kimchi was sweet and spicy. I'd recommend this restaurant to those you have at least 1 spare hour.

Food: small portion of okonomiyaki for the price. Service: me and my friend waited for around 30 min. When I was tired, I entered the restaurant and talked to the staff. Promptly, she cleaned the tables and called our name... Poor table management makes the customers wait for a long time outside. Atmosphere: inside, it was nice, but the situation of having to wait for a long time outside completely ruined the experience for me. I do not recommend this restaurant and I will not go back there.

Amazing staff and service, very kind and friendly, we got the ricotta pancakes and Aussie big breaky! Matcha tea and a cap. 10/10. So good. Here ten days and will Defs come back! We’re Aussie so we appreciated this heaps. Toilets on site added bonus. We got here not far after 9am when they opened on a Tuesday and it wasn’t busy. It was about $35aud pp and worth it.

This Bills is in such a great location, and it’s even better if you can get a table outside. I’ve come here a couple of times and the service has been EXCEPTIONALLY good, super friendly and surprisingly attentive, almost like they can read your needs before you even ask. Foodwise, the portions are satisfying and the taste has been consistently great. My favorite so far has been the burger; a little smaller than I’d prefer, but the flavor was absolutely amazing. I also like that the plates aren’t overly large, and this leaves room for dessert. The ricotta pancakes were soooo good! with the honeycomb butter really took them to the next level. While yes, it can be a bit on the pricey side(drinks, main plate and dessert for 2 people around ¥10,000), but considering the location, service, and quality, I personally think it’s worth it. They have vegetarian and vegan options as well which is a good point to consider! Bills has definitely become one of my personal favorites and will always be an option if I'm around.

The chicken schnitzel is good and the ricotta hot cakes did not disappoint; fluffiest we’ve ever had. The full Aussie breakie is nicely presented with the taste to match. Must try if you are around the Red Brick warehouse as there are hardly any queue.

TBH I have very high expectations after I read some posts from influencers. But sadly, I don’t think I will ever come and try again. I ordered a coffee and a honey pancake. The coffee is fine. But the pancake is super dry and salty. I put all the syrup on but still tasted salty. It is very dense too. And seems like it has been overcooked.

Decent restaurant, friendly staff. Menus available in English and Japanese. Located in the Red Brick area of Yokohama it’s a nice place for a quiet lunch. With seating both I does and out the atmosphere was nice. While the food was decent, it’s definitely more fancy than common fair and not somewhere I would bring kids, unless they like trying new things. $$$ price point. Marked it off the “to try” list but probably won’t go again.

The pancake with pistachios and berries was artistically arranged to create an enticing and delightful visual display. The iced coffee, pancake, and cappuccino were all excellent and reasonably priced.It closes later than other restaurants, which close considerably earlier.

We went around 9:30, got seated right away. We ordered toast with poached eggs and scrambled eggs. And roasted tomatoes on the side. Pretty straightforward, no sides no garnish almost. My scrambled eggs were nice. Frankly, poached eggs by themselves are too small of a portion to be served by themselves. These two mains, a side, and a coffee was over 4000 yens. Not sure if it’s worth it. I originally wanted the hot cake with bananas bur was told it would take 20 mins so I decided otherwise. They only have regular milk and almond milk. It was somewhat difficult to communicate. Nice location.

Heichinro has some of the best service we’ve ever experienced in Japan. That’s saying a lot. Our waiter personalized our experience (in a second language) and was very attentive. Our dim sum lunch was delicious. The shaomai are out of this world, as are the pork ribs. Frankly, everything we had was superb, but the shaomai were truly memorable. As we were leaving, we agreed that we could totally justify the trip from Tokyo to Yokohama just for lunch or dinner at this excellent restaurant. That says it all. We will be back.

I ordered the 5 course lunch menu, it was sublime! I drank tattinger rose brut and an excellent Chardonnay from Russian river! Not salty at all like some other reviewers claimed, delicate and subtle hints of many delicious perfectly blended ingredients. Best meal I could imagine for my last day in Japan... When the bill came everything was more than I expected. They explained that 10% is added to every menu item as service fee and 10% also added for tax! I’ve Never seen this much added onto a bill before. Service fee is usually a flat rate and appears as a separate charge. Many places charge more for foreigners or don’t allow them entrance to their establishment, either way, it leaves a bad taste to an otherwise exceptional meal...

Randomly came across while walking towards chinatown. If you ever visit Yokohama, this is a must! We were seated immediately and served the best food i ever had. The food has to be the worst I've had during my two visits to Japan out of the two dozens restaurants I've tried. Given the price they charge, it is literally fraud. The meet is bland and has no flavor. The crispy layer of the pork fell once you touch it. The vegetable is not even thoroughly grilled. We were so hungry coming in but still we weren't able to finish the food because it is so bad. The waitress also messed up my order but did correct it for us. Without saying, I am never coming back. I sincerely wonder how they got such high reviews.

All cooked not far from where sitting. Extremely succulent meats and crisp outer bread crumbs on cutlet and shrimp. Excellent. PS. Sorry in photo I at the end off the shrimp before photo, it was a big bit size bigger originally. PPS. Ordered a beer and Sake, thinking I'd get a glass of Sake....realised I ordered a small bottle. They let me take the leftover bottle with me...hic!

I followed a blogger’s advice and I was convinced by the googles review to try this restaurant. I ordered the 三元豚 and a seasonal aubergine dish. The description of the pork was rich, juicy and sweet. I could not taste sweet, but it was still delicious to me! The aubergine was surprising, it tasted like a mixture of aubergine and okra. I ordered the mayonnaise in case the food is too dry, but after eating it, it is not necessary to have it. There are other sauces on the table free of charge too. You can probably tell how hungry I was. Rice and cabbage can be refilled, which I did…

Saikoushinkan is a popular Cantonese restaurant known for its classic fare, including dim sum and desserts, served across multiple floors. The establishment offers authentic Cantonese cuisine that is well-received by locals. While the dishes are generally good and comparable to those found in China, they can be a bit pricey. Ordering off the menu is recommended for a more cost-effective experience.
The staffs are polite and friendly. Fried rice tastes great. Very clean and beautiful restaurant.
Joey T — Google review
The dishes were mostly good and tasted authentic and similar to what I’m used to (Cantonese style dim sum), definitely better than the multiple all-you-can-eat places around. Of course, this was on the pricier side, but honestly it wasn’t too bad. We decided to order off the menu instead of going for one of the courses. If you know what you like, it’s definitely more worth it to just order the items that you want. The course included other things like cabbage rolls and fried rice which we weren’t interested in. We ended up spending less than half of what we would have spent for the course! There were quite a few people even on a week day afternoon, but the online reservation is fairly easy and hassle free.

Disappointed. Less than expectation. Cannot understand how its scored so high in Tabelog. Nothing special or unique. 3,800¥ lunch course. It took 20 mins for the fried rice to be served, which was very dried and had no taste... The dessert was the only one I really liked. I recommend that you order what you really want to eat and do not order the course.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal at the female owned Saikoshinkan, especially the two most popular dishes on their menu, the shrimp cheung fun and fried shrimp roll. The tender fried shrimp roll came with a suggested side of mayonnaise, which I would have never thought of but was a perfect match. The crab chaahan was also delicious. The cheung fun skin melted in my mouth, leaving me to wonder if I should extra and skip dessert. There are several courses to choose from if you’d prefer to leave it up to them as well. (Including a no meat course for pescatarians - however the no meat course includes seafood). The staff were accommodating to my dietary requests, and were able to remove meat from my dishes. The venue is spacious with multiple floors and a gift section next to the entrance. Just a heads up to make a reservation in advance of you may wait up to 40 minutes! -They don’t offer it on the table but if you ask, there is black vinegar you can add to your meals for that extra bit of malty flavoring.

Revisit to Saikoshinkan, a well-renowned Cantonese restaurant in Yokohama, Japan’s Chinatown. Very upscale restaurant with great service and amazing dumplings. The skins were typically very thin with excellent texture and flavor. If there was MsG in the food it was subtle and not really detectable. I especially liked their spin on the thousand year egg -very creamy and no hint of the ammonia flavor I often expect. The Jellyfish was wider and crunchier and quite good. Wonton soup was one of the best I ever had. The broth was delicate but had an intensity from the fish used to make it. Xiao long bao was perfect- the dumpling wrap, the broth, the filling - very squirty but did not disintegrate if you looked at it funny. A couple of unusual dumplings and rice dishes. All in all - comparable in quality to the highest end places in Vancouver , arguably better than LA w a few exceptions. The standout for me was the shrimp wonton soup . Just can’t get it made that well in LA. #Kuishinbo #thefoodietraveler

Their dumplings were fresh and delicious. Had Shiumai, Ha Gao, Fu Cho fried rice, side vegetables etc. All were good! Went there on Saturday at 11:15-ish without a reservation, but able to get a table without waiting. I saw more and more people were coming in, so getting there early and/or making a reservation seemed a good idea. The restaurant installed the transparent separator between tables, and there’s a hand sanitizer as well.

Service is quick and staff are friendly and professional. The Xiao long bao is amazing, one of the best I’ve had. The soup inside is so tasty and the skin is nice and thin. The har gao is great too! They provide new plates for every dish that they serve. The restaurant is also very clean and well spaced out between each tables. As a Cantonese Chinese myself, everything tasted really good and authentic. The only dish that I’d say is not super good would be the Chee cheong fun filled with char siew and prawns. The Chee cheong fun was a bit thick. Other than that, everything is great- the price is reasonable, service is good and the food is great too. I will definitely come back again!

American restaurant
Hard Rock Cafe Yokohama is a rock 'n' roll-themed chain known for its high-energy vibe and American classics. The restaurant features music memorabilia and is located beside Minatomirais Landmark Tower, marked by a giant guitar outside. Visitors can enjoy a variety of burgers, including vegetarian options, while admiring artifacts owned by legends like Elvis and Mick Jagger.
I'm blown away by the recent renovation of Hard Rock Cafe Yokohama! The K-pop influence, especially the BTS vibes, is spot on. The food is still fantastic – the Mac & Cheese and BBQ Wings are my go-to. The Legendary Burger is a classic. I do miss the Spinach Dip, but the new atmosphere makes up for it. It's great they have a smoking area, but I wish there were more women's restrooms.

Food was not great. Onion ring were ok, they were crispy. Burgers were not good. Meat tasted boiled. Fries were not good either. Pulled pork sandwich was ok. Very expensive meal at $80 USD (11,000 JPY)

They didn’t let me use my unity points even though I let the server know so before I ordered anything. She told me it will be taken care of at the counter after everything. So I went ahead and ordered 3 signature drinks (with a souvenir glass) and two appetizers. When we were ready to check out, they told me I couldn’t use my unity points because they were having a problem with the app. They did give me 20% off, but after the tax they pretty much gave me 10%off. Since I didn’t wanna make a scene and I’m not from the country, I paid what I ordered. The person at the counter told me I will gain some points for the purchase I made, but I never received it. I didn’t feel that I was in Japan at all because of the services and experience. I’ll definitely Not going back.

First time in many years to visit a Hard Rock Cafe. Experience was great. Service was excellent and very quick for food and drinks to arrive. Expensive for a Yokohama restaurant but generally Hard Rock is on the higher end. Budapest Burger was very tasty. Popped into the merchandise store as they had a Moon / Hard Rock collaboration, met the designer which was an added bonus. I will return in the future.

One the highlights of our Japan trip for sure. What a service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. And the food was delicious. I had the Sukiyaki burger, their specialty burger, WOW !! The staff was amazing. And a special thanks to our waiter Kyotaro. You made our experience so much better.

Hard Rock Yokohama is always an exceptional and immersive music experience. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff very professional and friendly. The food is, as always, high-quality and delicious. Prices are higher than average. It's definitely not something you should visit every week.

Fantastic place. The food was delicious. The staff super nice, friendly and with sense of humor. The price is like all Hard Rock Cafes around the world.

We were looking for some American food and Hard Rock delivered. I got the bang bang shrimp appetizer and a small cesar salad. The salad was good. Beware the shrimp are pretty spicy. My husband enjoyed the half rack ribs with fries. Then we got the desert trio, apple pie, chocolate brownie with ice cream and cheesecake which were all delicious. The staff was very kind and the food came out quickly.

Cafe Tosca is a restaurant located in the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu, offering an elegant dining experience with beautiful bay views. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a healthy and top-notch dining experience.

Spent the week at the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu, and the Cafe Tosca was the provided breakfast. I may be biased, but the food was really good! After a day or two, I really seemed into what I liked and stuck with it for the week. The options of raw fruit and veggies is poor, but the provided tuna and egg dishes were exceptional! Big fan of the salad bar, omelette station and dumplings. The coffee machine makes pretty good cappuccino and espressos! I enjoy the dishes.

Affordable price with acceptable quality. Average ¥5000 per pax. Free parking is provided. Roasted beef and Carbonara are signature dishes. Depending on seasons, there is different event to promote new flavors. Reservation is recommended.

Really enjoyed the lunch buffet with excellent service, and also so convenient location when attending any event in nearby event halls. They have wide selection of various dishes then also various main dishes. I especially enjoyed the roast beef, and omurice, as well as pizza and asparagus. Desserts, coffee, other drinks too. Hope to go back!
Harold A — Google review
I went on 11/17 and was honestly disappointed. I was looking forward to roasted beef, but they were hard and the sauce was not good at all. The pasta was overcooked and I stopped eating after just one bite. The bread was too hard and the tempura was greasy and not much different from the tempura we make at home. The only thing I enjoyed was the curry with no ingredients, salad, and strawberry mousse cake. The coffee was bad, I don't know if it was the machine or the beans, but it tasted bad. Anyway, there was not much on the menu, almost nothing tasty, and the satisfaction level was infinitely low for the cost. I was looking forward to it because it had a good reputation, but I don't think I will come back a second time. I hope for improvement.

We visited Yokohama several months ago and occasionally found this cozy buffet. Fresh seasonal food, simple but delicate. Mainly Japanese, Italian or Mediterranean cuisine. Fried Kamaboko in action corner of kitchen stadium and minestrone were especially impressively satisfying.

SanTon is a delightful hidden gem tucked away in a quiet alley of Chinatown, perfect for those craving authentic Chinese dumplings. The atmosphere can get bustling during peak hours, leading to a swift dining experience as the staff encourages patrons to enjoy their meal and make way for others waiting outside. Despite the hurried service, the dumplings are undeniably delicious and well worth any wait.
This is a gem of a place nestled in a dark back alley of Chinatown. They whip up some excellent dim sum for those of you with a hankern' for Chinese dumplings. Everything was fast and high quality, and prices are reasonable. Seating is very tight, so don't plan on having a big party here.

Ordered sui-Gyoza , Yaki gyoza, siew mai, shio long po It’s alright, skin is soft not the chewy type which I like. Dumplings are served warm..?or I should say near cold, I can understand it shouldn't be served too hot for dumplings but it's kind of cold when served.. Shio long po skin sticks to the paper or other Shio long po, so be careful when you take it, the soup is gone before it is in your mouth. Ordinary Chinese restaurant, nothing amazing that I will go the second time.

Although the old ladies working there, we’re watching us the entire time, everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious and quite tasty. We ordered a vegetable dish, meat and vegetables dish, fried rice, dim sum, and soup dumplings. Everything was amazing! It’s also a bit off the Main Street so it’s less crowded and people aren’t trying to sell the restaurant to you.
Julie T — Google review
We had boiled and fried dumplings, as well as vegetable dish and chow-mein (fried noodle), which were tasty and portions were satisfying. What we didn't like is there ordering system. You can only order once, and you cannot add orders later. It makes it difficult to order base on how full we are. I would love to have the system changed so that we can add more dishes later when we fill not evough, than ordering too little or too much in just one-order system. Something that they can improve better to inprove "service" rating.
Max M — Google review
They only have Japanese menu, no English or Chinese menu (hilarious as this is chinatown). You would have to order by pictures. Wonton soup came quickly but the dumplings came 15 mins later. Dumplings are full size and heavier than gyoza. Food was ok. Bathroom is clean. Cash only.
SuN M — Google review
Very tasty dumplings. When it's busy it can get crowded very quickly and the service is rushed. Keep that in mind when you come in at peak hours. They encourage you to eat and go rather than stick around longer than you need to (they even tell you that you can't order food again after your first order so that others waiting outside can come in and eat). With that said, the dumplings are really good and it's worth the rushed service and the wait in line. Be careful to not order too much, then portions are a bit larger than you would expect. The dumplings are also heavier than the standard Japanese Gyoza.
Augustine Y — Google review
2 stars for service but 4 stars for flavor. Seems like quite the popular location for casual local groups. Price was a little higher than we've had in other restaurants, coming out to around ¥5000 for 2 with 4 plates and one drink, but it was definitely satisfying and an interesting change of pace from standard Japanese fare. We did have to take about half of the food home since the portions were a bit larger than expected. Also the closing time Friday night was 10pm contrary to the midnight that google has it listed as. Last order was at 9:30pm.

Dined here while staying at the Sheraton. Bit pricy but well worth it in my opinion. We went during the Summer Hokkaido Fair and everything was delicious and made to order. It’s not cheap but price is worth it. Ate Hokkaido dishes + mix of Japanese, Chinese, & Western food. You order your food via website (you get the QR code after you are guided to your seats). There are 2 dishes which you can order only 1 per person, but with so many food to choose from, it’s fine for me. The staff was nice too 😃for my companion with nuts allergy, they gave us 1 menu paper with all dishes with nuts crossed out 🙂

Save your money and don’t bother with this place. It’s overpriced & underwhelming. $8,500 yen per person for mediocre food. They entice you with crab and steak but limits you to 1 max. The sushi quality is low & everything was oddly portioned. They sent out a plate for one bite of food.. the table was packed with a ton of dishes (rarely taken away) which made for an awkward experience. I sat down at 6pm… at 6:30pm the waiter came to us and said it was last call to order & we were approaching our max time limit. The whole experience felt rushed. Save your money and don’t eat here.

Mawashizushi KATSU is a popular sushi spot located in the top corner of Yokohama train station. It offers a fun and retro dining experience with delicious sushi. The restaurant features a conveyor belt where you can pick up freshly made food or use a tablet to order from an English menu. Despite its convenient location, the quality of sushi at Mawashizushi KATSU surpasses other conveyor-belt spots in the area.
Great sushi at really good value! There's a decent variety to choose from including seasonal specials. The seafood is very fresh and offers your standard choices of fish as well as octopus, squid, and other types. If raw food isn't your thing, they do offer cooked dishes like rice bowls and and tempura.

I was at Mawashizushi Katsu after attending a Macross event on another floor of the Sky Building. This place was perfect as I had gotten hungry after traveling from Tokyo station. It was Tuesday around 2:30pm and there were plenty of seats. The staff greeted me with a smile and I was feasting on great cuts of fish within minutes. Just look at the photos of tuna, yellowtail, salmon, crab, and tempura. I also love you can have smaller portions of rice per sushi. I had a great time at Mawashizushi Katsu and would highly recommend it.

We have a business partner in Yokohama. We go visit them every year and they have taken us to this restaurant twice now in the past three years. Both occasions, we have this Master Sushi chief who skillfully prepares the food right in front of us. He also talks with our host (and other guests at the counter), in Japanese of course, but he shows us the cooking knife he used for over 30yrs. Also, he mentioned the counter was made from some very expensive treated wood. It does look very nice, give a warm and calm feeling. Also, there were many celebrities who visited this place, including a very famous baseball player (sorry, forgot the name) and a local famous actress. What a memorable experience! Highly recommended. Even if you don't speak the language, just watch them prepare the food is like looking at an artist working on a piece of fine art....

I had a fantastic meal at this conveyor belt sushi restaurant, enjoying a variety of freshly handmade sushi with balanced flavours and perfectly seasoned vinegared rice. Highlights included Fatty Tuna, Sea Bream, Seabass, Fatty Mackerel, Unagi, Scallop, Snow Crab, Big Red Shrimp with Tomalley, Beef Tongue, and Golden Sushi. Sides like Oyster, Monkfish Liver, and Chawanmushi complemented the sushi, while desserts such as Jelly Cake, Coffee Jelly, and Soy Sauce Ice Cream added a sweet ending. The total cost was ¥7084, with plates starting at ¥130. The Soy Sauce Ice Cream stood out for its unique sweet-salty flavour and slightly sandy texture, making it a delightful treat. The short waiting time when I visited but there is a queue later and excellent quality made this a meal worth every yen!

The best conveyor belt sushi (kaitenzushi). The price is good, sushi is good and the service is fast. It's a little hidden, but you have to find the Sky Building, then go up the elevator to the 11th floor. It'll be the only place with a long line that wraps around. Don't be too turned off when you see the line. It moves pretty fast. They have an iPad order system and have plenty of good sushi going around too. Tip - They do some special pricing 30 minutes before closing Tip - When you order on the iPad, you have the option to choose with wasabi or without. You can also choose to have less rice so you can actually fill up with more fish.

Din Tai Fung Yokohama is a well-known Taiwanese dim sum restaurant located just one minute away from Yokohama station's West exit. The popular chain offers Asian and Chinese cuisine, with a focus on xialongbao. While the food quality is good, some visitors find that it doesn't quite match up to the original Din Tai Fung in Taiwan. This is highly recommended for everyone visiting Yokohama Takashimaya department store. It is on the 8th floor just on your right from restaurant alley entrance. Just come early like 11am for lunch if you want to avoid traffic of gourmet guests.

I wanted to come here for a while but the Shinjuku’s restaurant is way too packed all the time, for this one in Yokohama we only waited for 5 minutes. But I think it’s a bit overrated.. What we ordered are posted in the pictures. To me, only sholongbo worth ordering, the rest taste just .. meh. Especially the crab chahan, cost 1500 yen something and only comes with a little bit crab and the rice was hard and dry. The rest dishes seem a bit over priced to me too. The mango ice was absolutely delicious though, I don’t know if they take customers who only order dessert but I can total use it as a dessert place next time …

Manchinro Tenshinpo is a stylish restaurant known for its carefully presented Chinese dishes and signature dim sum. It offers a great selection of food and dim sum, with impeccable service in a wood-accented space. The restaurant provides an authentic Cantonese experience, complete with the traditional dim sum push cart for morning breakfast. While some may find the taste adjusted to fit Japanese preferences, others appreciate the unique morning breakfast experience available at this location.
I recommend to make a reservation in advance if you wanna go around noon. I’ve been going to this place since I was a kid with my family. This time, we went for lunch and had the ¥3000 course meal. It’s the lowest they have but we enjoyed very much! The service is good and very professional. There is no dress code but I changed my flip flops to heals in my car just so I can enjoy the whole atmosphere.
Sun S — Google review
When we visit Chinatown, we prefer to have a reservation at a sit-down restaurant, so we have tried quite a few in the area, but Manchinro Tenshinpo has to be my favorite! This is due to the combination of delicious food, a beautiful atmosphere and fabulous service!!! First, the food: we ordered from the grand menu and perhaps over-ordered, but did a good job finishing our shared plates because it was delicious. I love the presentation of the dim sum as well. So kawai! There are also some dishes you might not find elsewhere - like jellyfish (so good)! Our food came out a bit at a time so it seemed we always had something new to feast on. The restaurant itself is gorgeous with multiple floors. Tables are spaced far enough apart that you don’t feel crammed. There is also an option for a private room if you have 6 or more in your party. Service was excellent, refilling our drinks and inquiring about our satisfaction. However, our lead server paid special attention to our 2-year old granddaughter. She truly made our granddaughter feel like an honored guest. It was absolutely adorable and added that extra touch to an already fine meal. There were wines to choose from as well which is not always the case with Cantonese dining. Wonderful experience! Make a reservation in advance.

Real China in the heart of Yokohama. Delicious. Not cheap but it is the classic saying you get what you pay for. The highest quality ingredients including the hot tea. No corner cutting. My favorite was the sharkfin dim sum followed by my bok choy with garlic.

Came here for yumcha lunch after the noon rush. Pricey but taste was good. Usual Chinese style service as staff do their best to not be viewed as rude 😂. Portion size had gotten smaller given the recent inflation but it's comparable with other eateries and yumcha prices. Instead of 3 or 4 pieces of steamed items per tray in the older days, it's more 2 items per tray. Dishes were tasty and put together with care. Appreciate the chef and staffs efforts that's gone into the preparation. The restaurant layout and interior are designed to give a finer and comfortable experience with tables spaced apart reasonably and not crammed together to maximize seating. Overall a good and pleasant experience.
Mad B — Google review
The building is beautiful and the private dining rooms look amazing but the dim sum experience was pretty awful. Nothing tasted particularly good and a lot of textures were missing - for example the bean curd skin prawn rolls were soggy and greasy. The dumpling wrappers were way too thick as well. Maybe they have a good banquet menu? The staff were faultless and lots of tea re-fills - shame the food let's the place down.
Jodie A — Google review
Overpriced and low quality food compared to the rest of Yokohama china town. We should have known when we arrived at 11:30 and it was empty. The dumpling skins we all too thick and stodgy. My wife thought they were not made on the premises. The best part was the cool building and nice interiors.
Douglas A — Google review
Great service, nice atmosphere and scrumptious food. It's regarded as one of the best in Yokohama Chinatown and I've never had reason to doubt it. That kind of quality doesn't come cheap though. Bring your yennies and enjoy! We typically order from the dimsum menu and have always enjoyed. The bigger dishes are a go to.

Had a family lunch here and made reservation prior. We were put in a nice semi private room which is great when having an active 2 year old running around. Good selection of food and dimsum and the service reminded me of some of the nicer restaurants I’ve seen in China. Food itself is decent but probably adjusted to the taste to fit the Japanese. Highly recommend making reservations if you have a big group or wanting to use the private rooms. Great for family meals, meals with customers or just with friends. Will be coming back again.

I recently visited this buffet for lunch and, unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The food was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the high price. You also had to pay for drinks (except for tea, coffee, and water). Most of the dishes were cold and lacked flavor. Despite the “Meat Fest” theme, the selection was minimal, and what was available was not tasty. The poke with avocado was disappointing. I’ve had much better experiences at other hotel buffets. If you’re in Yokohama, I recommend exploring local restaurants instead—they’re likely more affordable and offer a far better dining.

We looked all over and determined that we had eaten at the most expensive Chinese buffet in the Yokohama Chinatown area…BUT if you can afford it, don’t let price be the only deciding factor. I recommend this place for the quality of the food. Every dish we tried was awesome and they were endless - so if you like it, order it again. We had various dishes and they all tasted great. The cleanliness of the place is very appreciated. The food came within minutes of order and piping hot. We came just shortly after 11am and were seated right away. We found the service to be excellent. We appreciated the gentleman who came to explain, in alittle English, how to order from the electronic menu. We appreciated his explanation and the time he took to show us the system and the physical menus. The electronic menu does not have English but has tons of pictures, the physical menus and alot of Google translate did the rest. They also have physical menus you can try to correlate the digital ones to. Do not feel overwhelmed, take your time and try a few dishes out - order your usual Chinese meal favorites first. The system allows only 16 dishes to be placed at any one time so order a few, decide some more and order further. You have 2.5hrs in total to eat and enjoy. Ask the servers for hot tea, there’s 5 types of Chinese tea, it is only on the physical menu (the placard type). Did I say you have 2.5hrs for the entire buffet and can have anything on the menu as many times as you want - alcohol is extra although we didn’t have any. Then at the end, order the almond soft serve, you will NOT be disappointed - I believe it is their signature dish. Again, order it as many times as you like. We certainly left much heavier and happier than entering. It’s a busy place but not noisy, no one was talking loudly and if they were having conversation, it was done quietly and volume of speech respectful of other guests; so we read the room and copy. If you are a foreigner to Japan, like us, remember to say your “Arrigatos”and exchange money with both hands. Enjoy!

Here was really good especially of almond ice cream :)
Yukari I — Google review
All signs (in our life) pointed us to this spot to try the famous almond soft serve ice cream in the one night we had in town before boarding a cruise around Japan. We walked in with very little Japanese under our belt and the friendly staff looked at us inquisitively and all I could say (in English) was "ice cream' and they knew exactly what to do. We walked out a couple of minutes later with a soft serve almond ice cream cone and were quite happy with what we had done. Perfectly creamy with a unique almond flavor normally reserved for cookies in a Chinese restaurant. Well, it IS a Chinese restaurant, so that tracks. Glancing at the menu there are lots of options, though limited for vegetarians. The ice cream alone is worth stopping in for a unique and delicious treat if you're in this part of town.

Food comes quickly. No rush atmosphere. Great food. Just don’t expect it to taste like American or Japanese style Chinese food. The soft cream could have been a bit more generous in serving size.

Keitokuchin is a popular restaurant located in Chinatown, known for its unpretentious atmosphere and authentic Sichuan cuisine. The menu features spicy dishes, with the ma-po doufu being a standout recommendation for those seeking an intense culinary experience. Renowned for its very hot and authentic Sichuan flavors, Keitokuchin offers a departure from the milder Japanese version of the dish, providing an adventurous dining experience for enthusiasts of spicy cuisine.
Mabo doufu really hit the spot! I didn't find it excessively hot, but the numbing pepper was just right. Jinjao Roast (beef, peppers and ginger) was also very tasty.

Tasty Sichuan Chinese restaurant with mild to spicy dishes.

Not only does the sansho pepper give a spicy kick that heats up your body, but the meat's delicious flavor is also condensed in this great mapo tofu. It's already popular, and deserves its good reputation. Price is not expensive.
Sean — Google review
Wow, very good Sichuan food. We got a bottle of Shaoshin rice wine and the course menu. The pork and chicken cold appetizers were okay, but the Goya, dumpling and shrimp were amazing. The mapo tofu was excellent and very spicy, although a bit salty. If I come again, I’ll probably order a la carte, but the course is great for special occasions.
Fehmi Y — Google review
Really authentic Sichuan cuisine! I was fully blown away with the Sichuan Pepper mapo tofu! It’s a must try dish, but maybe bring along some friends so share with, the portion is too big for 1 person! And after eating it your tongue will have this tingling numbness, it’s incredible! Try it!

Visited for lunch. One of the best, if not the best mapo tofu (Sichuan tofu cuisine) in China Town. But be careful if you are a beginner, it’s very spicy. If you like spicy food, a must try. Service and decor, nothing special. Clean though. Stands on one of the side streets. Be sure to use the map to reach the place.

It's 陳マーボ豆腐 taste of authentic szechuan flavor but the spiciness was too overwhelming that has destroy the umami taste from the pork, what is left is spiciness and tinginess. 陳健一 version is way more balance in the spiciness and umami flavor as a whole.

Ramen restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Located just a 3-minute walk from the West Exit of Tokyu Toyoko Line Yokohama Station, Ippudo Minatomirai Tokyu Square offers a spacious and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is known for serving some of the best ramen in Yokohama, with a variety of flavorful options to choose from, including original and spicy miso broths. In addition to its delicious offerings for adults, Ippudo also provides a children's menu.
Wonderful ippudo ramen spot. They actually forgot my orange juice but not a big deal. They took it off the bill and gave it to me to go which was cool. Of course food was bomb. When in Yokohama, coming back!
Wenjay S — Google review
Great ramen as usual from Ippudo. What’s great is that this branch is less crowded than usual so one could usually enter without crazy queues on a weekday evening. The nearby Afuri is my choice on days when I prefer lighter tasting ramen, both are great eateries!

If you decide to eat Ramen in here, Must add the pork belly slice. Remember, Add THE PORK BELLY !!!! also I ate so many spicy base ramen, here is very flavored soups, kind of Vietnamese soup. It is so amazing flavor of Karaka!!
민진 — Google review
I wandered into Ippudo in the basement of MARK IS like a weary explorer in search of treasure...except the treasure was ramen, and the map was an escalator that never seemed to end. The place hums with efficiency: salarymen slurping in perfect rhythm, couples whispering over broth like it’s a shared secret, and me - trying to look cool while sweating into my noodles because Yokohama in summer is approximately the temperature of the sun. Ordering is done via tablet, which makes you feel like you’re part of a futuristic ramen experiment. I poked the screen like a confused caveman until my Tonkotsu order was confirmed...& when it arrived, the bowl looked like something you’d see in a museum exhibit called “Perfection in Pork Form.” The broth was creamy & rich without crossing into “I might need a nap” territory. The noodles had just the right chew, and that slice of pork? Absolute poetry. If Shakespeare had written about ramen, this would’ve been his muse. The atmosphere is cozy chaos: chefs calling out orders, customers inhaling noodles like competitive athletes, and the faint sense that time doesn’t exist down here...only broth, steam, and joy.
Jim R — Google review
A decent Ippudo location! The menu is in English (even if the staff doesn't speak it) and everything is cooked to the Ippudo standard. I really enjoyed my mentaiko don and the ramen was rich and hearty. This store is a little less well kept than other locations, but it's by no means dirty. We waited about 15 mins to be seated and were out in 30 mins. Everything was run efficiently, though the staff were a little catty with each other

Boarded the course dinner cruise at 17:00. The food was good, and not too much just the right amount. During the meal, a balloon artist made one balloon for each table. She made a bear balloon for me. There was also live piano music, and the atmosphere was very good. After eating, we went out on the deck and enjoyed the night view of Minato Mirai area. There was a blue light show going on and it was absolutely beautiful.

Great views of Yokohama. Food was excellent but oh such small portions. When we were brought the the food for the 3rd course and placed it in front of my wife, we thought the waitresses would come back with a second dish for me. But no, we had to share. Same with 4th and 5th courses; a dish that would be just about acceptable for one had to be shared. Not impressed. Presumably the buffet is a better bet but it had been withdrawn when we went. Staff were excellent and we enjoyed it. Fortunately there was a McDonald's on the way home.

In March my husband chose this restaurant because of the reviews and the fact it didn't seem intimidating for non-Japanese speaking tourists. The server greeted us at the front with English right as it opened. English menu offered. The server was very attentive, especially with filling my water glass and was also very friendly! The food seemed authentic and was tasty. We split a set menu, so we didn't exactly know what we were ordering, but was able to ask the server. The food came out in multiple courses which was fun. Shōfukumon is a traditional Cantonese restaurant located in Yokohama Chinatown. It offers a wide range of authentic dishes, including Hong Kong dim sum, spring rolls, and Shanghainese xiao long bao. The restaurant provides an all-you-can-eat dim sum option on the second floor for a set price per person. Customers can conveniently place their orders using a tablet with English subtitles available for non-Japanese speakers.
Good food, friendly staff. Very nice to non-Japanese speaking foreigners. A little expensive, but worth it for an enjoyable time.

Very noisy, not very friendly, the staff yells in Chinese. The table was dirty. Also the chopsticks and glasses. They didn’t bring everything we ordered and made us pay more than expected after also forcing us to buy drinks. The food wasn’t bad but I won’t go back and you probably shouldn’t go either. PS: only cash. A shame in 2023.
Dan V — Google review
It's just ok. High price tag for buffet. You don't miss anything by not trying. I recommend street food in that Chinatown. Eat here and there to experience different restaurants.

Went early on a Monday night for the tabehodai (all you can eat) dim sum course. Staff were professional and attentive, food was good (ordered from a tablet) and came out quickly. Toilets were a bit smelly, but clean.
Temiko * — Google review
All you can dimsum on the second floor is about 30 bucks per person Pretty decent, I'm not too convinced it's completely worth the price but I didn't feel like my money was wasted. You order with the tablet and they do have english subtitles on the bottom, which makes it easy for non-japanese speakers like myself. If you think of standard dimsum menu they probably have it. Xialongbao, shumai, shrimp dumplings, some soup menus, sticky rice, etc. On the side they have sitr fry noodles and some side dishes as well. They do have about 4 kinds of dessert in the fridge, jellies, puddings type of stuff.

I passed by this place a few times, always a line, I decided to go with my brother one day, waited about 20mins even at 2:30pm, food was nice, it comes within 2-3mins after I order it on the screen, unlimited drinks and desserts too, however a little pricy for me, I'll be more likely to repeat if it was like 2000yen instead of 2800yen, there are tons of other restaurants in that area too,
Vincent C — Google review
All you can eat dim sum on 2nd floor. Adult price was about 3000 yen per person. Touch screen ordering style. Fast service and polite waiters. There was an open buffet for some noodles, rice, soup, fried chicken, mabotofu, and desserts. 2 seater table is a little small. Food always comes in 2. Blankets are provided if you get a little chilly.
Jessica I — Google review
All you can eat Chinese dumplings for a fair price. They have a vast choice and the taste was legit. Avoid going during weekends or national holidays if you don’t like waiting.
Sofia B — Google review
Possibly the worst Dim Sum I’ve ever had. Almost everything tasted like it had been made hours before and had been sitting since then. The boiled dumplings were tasteless. The shrimp ball dumplings chewy. And the fillings almost all tasted like low quality filler. The buffet mabu-tofu was also one of the worst I’ve ever had, and the ebi-chilli tasted partially of ketchup with ebi the texture of quorn. If you want something that tastes as good as the dim sum in HK, skip these all you can eat places and go to Manchinro or another pay as you go place where the food is at least fresh. Frozen dim sum from the supermarket tastes better.

Center Grill is a well-established restaurant in Yokohama that offers a unique blend of Japanese and European cuisine. The place has been around since 1946 and is known for its bustling atmosphere, especially during lunch hours. Visitors recommend trying the special omelette rice and the famous Spaghetti Napolitan. The menu features a variety of dishes catering to different tastes, with standout items like the Napoleon Pasta.
Really cute antique lunch spot serving Japanese western dishes! The waitress told me the set I ordered came with a lot of rice and asked if that was okay and I said yes but boyyyyu was she not lying about the rice lol. The spaghetti was delicious and ketchup base and paired great with the fried chicken cutlet! Atmosphere was really warm and made me feel like I travelled back in time for a bit. Center Grill is a long established Western-Japanese style restaurant. This place has been open since 1946, truly a valuable gem in the heart of Yokohama. Of course, this restaurant normally packed with local people and some tourist. So be prepare to queue if you arrive during lunch time. I got there about 20 minutes before the door's opened but there were few people ahead of me already. I had to try their famous Spaghetti Napolitan. This specialty dish consists of thick spaghetti stir-fried with mushrooms, onions, green peppers, sliced ham and seasoned with tomato ketchup sauce. When I say ketchup, please forget about those typical sharp-sour taste ketchup. It's completely different in every way. From my first bite to last, I can taste a deep, rich, sweet tomato flavor that tasted like homemade savory tomato sauce. The thick noodles are pleasantly firm and absorb the sauce perfectly. In my opinion, this nostalgic Napolitan is a solid contender for one of the best comfort foods in the world. Not to exaggerate but it was THAT good. Other dishes like Oyster gratin (seasonal), pork cutlets and omelette rice were excellent as well.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Central Grill in Yokohama, and I must say it was an exceptional culinary experience. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with genuine warmth and a friendly smile. The menu at Central Grill offers a delightful variety of dishes that cater to different tastes. One particular standout dish that left me craving for more was the Napoleon Pasta. The combination of flavors and textures in this dish was absolutely divine. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the rich, creamy sauce beautifully complemented the tender meat and fresh vegetables. Another must-try dish is their Omelette Rice with Fried Chicken. The fluffy omelette enveloping the flavorful rice and crispy fried chicken created a delightful harmony of flavors that had me savoring each and every bite. What impressed me the most was the manager's warm and friendly demeanor. Their genuine enthusiasm for the food and the customers was evident as they took the time to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of. Their passion for delivering an excellent dining experience truly added a personal touch to our visit. It's important to note that Central Grill operates on a cash-only basis and prefers not to accept advanced bookings. If you do wish to make a reservation, please be mindful of their policy and honor your commitment to avoid any no-shows. This allows the restaurant to manage their seating arrangements efficiently and provide the utmost care to all guests. Overall, I highly recommend Central Grill to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience in Yokohama. Garlic Jo's is a popular restaurant known for its delicious food and impressive selection of alcoholic drinks. Despite some delays in service, the restaurant offers a wide variety of tasty options such as garlic steak, mixed fried rice, strong fried rice, and leafy greens.
Very great restaurant if you love garlic. V generous amount. The steak is really easy to chew and garlic chips make it top notch. All servers are kind and energetic. Highly recommended!! (But not for a first date)

They have garlic in everything :D The place is bigger than I expected, and it was packed on Saturday night. We tried the creamy garlic spaghetti, beef and lettuce fried rice, garlic chicken steak, and garlic bread. The spaghetti was my favorite – the sauce was creamy, and the garlic flavor was just right. The fried rice reminded me of a Javanese style, but it was a bit too salty. The chicken steak was juicy and had lots of garlic, last, the garlic bread was good too. It’s easy to see why this place is popular, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. I’ll definitely come back to try other dishes. Edit: I did go back and tried their shrimp mayo pizza. The crust was very thin, and it was served in 12 squares, each topped with half a shrimp, the shrimp flavor was hardly noticeable. Additionally, it was overly salty from the cheese and garlic butter. I’m lowering my rating, as this isn’t the first overly salty dish I’ve had here.

I loved the decor of this place! Very American, country-like style and the fragrance of garlic fills the restaurant, even extending to the walkways of the mall. There are so many dishes on the menu, you’d be spoilt for choice. We had a hard time deciding what to pick because everything seemed good. Had no regrets popping in for a meal, garlic lovers must visit! Not to mention the prices are very reasonable as well

Really great American style garlic-themed restaurant. Almost all the food on the menu includes some element of garlic (including the tiramisu). If you’re a fan of garlic or you want to enjoy an American diner like experience in Yokohama then I highly recommend it. Additionally, the service was wonderful. Quick, friendly and attentive.
Rich L — Google review
They boldly celebrated the power of garlic, and the retro American diner vibes sat the tone for a fun and flavorful experience. The garlic fried rice was a standout dish. Each grain was well-coated with a savory soy-based seasoning, tossed with tender chunks of beef, crisp lettuce, and egg, all elevated by the satisfying crunch and aroma of golden garlic chips. The garlic caesar salad wasn’t an average salad. Along with fresh romaine and rich Caesar dressing, it’s topped with whole roasted garlic cloves, crispy garlic chips, and a generous snow of parmesan. It’s bold with a punch of umami and mellow spicy from the garlic. The garlic pizza was thin, crispy, and generously layered with cheese and sliced garlic. It was simple but addictive. The garlic was roasted just right—not too sharp—offering a mellow spicy that enhanced the cheesy base😍

I’ll start with the negative first.. I felt sick to my stomach after eating here. I honestly can say it’s hard to find good Mexican food in Japan, but their is a few. This was gross and I mean hard to eat. My shrimp taco was frozen and I asked if the cook forgot to heat it up. I was told, “this is how we served it”! I was shocked haha. The restaurant is on the 28th floor. There are NO SIGNS and Google maps leaves off once you get to the building. Food is really small. The Taco is made wrong. It is upside-down! It has a wad of lettuce on bottom and a tea spoon of meat on top. The chips are good but the salsa is watery and not very tasty. It's like a person who never ate Mexican food read a Wikipedia about it. The picture in the menu is nothing close to what you actually get. BTW THEY CHARGE FOR CHIPS AND SALSA.

Good for the price. My son loves but being from California, well I don’t need to explain. Take the Yokohama station East exit and follow the signs to the Sky Building. Take the elevator to the 28th floor.

The best Chinese food we have ever eaten and served by a kind friendly owner. Chef very good. Authentic cooking and in a small very clean simple cosy restaurant on a quiet side street. Very reasonably priced and delicious sweet and sour pork, shrimp in a tomato chilli sauce, mixed fried rice tasty like home cooking. Finely sliced beef and fresh green beans. Highly recommended. We visited after reading a recommendation in Lonely Planet Japan book.

You can certainly find better Chinese restaurant than this one. The once famous "bairan yakisoba" is an omlette style fried noodle but the ingredient is small and not very tasty. Kind of rude service with waitresses speak in their home language assuming that we don't understand their conversation. Web reservation is taken but don't seem to be guaranteed so better to confirm beforehand.
Ozam N — Google review
Not bad, but not really anything special. The crispy yakisoba wasn't very crispy and really did not live up to its hype. It was tasty tho. Good service. Just... meh.

Good service. Reasonable food.

(Translated by Google) I was looking forward to lunch at Ume Ran after hearing from an acquaintance that it was casual and delicious. I ordered the set meal since I was there. The yakisoba noodles (I forgot the name, but they are split and the inside is yakisoba noodles) that are synonymous with Ume Ran were also delicious, and the set included shark fin soup, green vegetables, etc. The flavor was strong but not heavy, and although I went there as a group of two women, we were able to finish it all in no time. I have likes and dislikes, and I don't like onions and the mango pudding for dessert, so when I told them, they kindly took out the onions and replaced the mango pudding with almond tofu. The staff were also smiling, and I had a fun and delicious lunch with my friend. Everything was delicious and I would definitely like to go back to this restaurant I recommend it.

(Translated by Google) This was my first time here. I had been to Ume Ran on Ichiba Street, but they were preparing today, so I came here instead. Apparently the owner is different. I had the seafood Ume Ran Yakisoba, crab fried rice, and spring rolls I was looking forward to. They were all delicious. They were a little fluffy, but had a crispy exterior. This restaurant will also become one of my favorites.

(Translated by Google) I ordered the fried rice lunch and the Bai Ran Yakisoba. The yakisoba is like firm fried noodles wrapped around bean paste. I broke the crispy grilled noodles into pieces and dipped them in the bean paste inside. It was very delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also great.

(Translated by Google) I ordered the Ankake Yakisoba. Unlike the typical Ankake Yakisoba, this one has the noodles wrapped around the sauce! So, it looks like just noodles, but where's the sauce? The edges of the noodles are also lightly coated with egg, which is a new and delicious addition.

Cantonese restaurant
Chinese restaurant
Douhatsu Chinese Restaurant offers a must-try Hong Kong style egg tart with a custardy filling and flaky dough, available in original, coconut, and milk flavors. The restaurant serves traditional Chinese cuisine that is straightforward and simple yet delicious. The menu features a range of Cantonese dishes from mild to spicy, along with soups. Although it may be hard to find, the attentive staff are happy to recommend dishes and provide excellent service.
Traditional Chinese cuisine restaurant. Grilled pork lunch is available for about 1,500 JPY limited on week days. The homemade almond milk pudding is also delicious.

Came here for lunch and wss craving for some crispy pork bellly. I tried the fried rice with crispy pork but wasn’t as crispy and the taste was ok. I wish the pork slices were thicker instead of it being soo thin

So disappointed. We came to eat a Pekin duck like we did many times in China or other chinatowns in the world. Paid 9,900 yen for just already wrapped only soggy skin inside. Not the crispy duck showed on the picture or in front of the restaurant. Felt totally ripped off.... do not go there!!!!

Arrived China Town late night after a long flight. Really tired and wanted a hot meal. The lady server was warm and welcoming. She explained the menu, surprisingly they had lots of choices. Me & my husband ordered two set meals, the dishes were exceptional great and the price was surprisingly reasonable. The great food and services made our first meal at Yokohama an unforgettable one.
Mandy — Google review
Crispy pork not crispy, they didn't perhaps didn't use the belly even? Roast duck was quite soggy unfortunately. Although hanging the duck outside, I am wondering if it's a frozen one? Anyone who wants to have authentic siu yok / roast duck, I advice to check some other place. Price was not great either, service people where nice though. The other reviewers might not know how it properly should taste. The dinsum option has dropped greatly in variety and it's more a tourist trap.
Alexander Y — Google review
Being situated in Yokohama's China town would require patience and a hungry stomach to endure the excruciating queue; in the end it's a mediocre experience. A bit expensive in my opinion, service could be better, the "Yakisoba" noodle is tough, most of what we ordered tasted like any other Chinese food you'd get from restaurants in Tokyo.
Tiziano — Google review
The food was okay but I felt a bit uncomfortable as a foreigner here, they were nice but I kept getting a few strange looks from staff …

This seems like a more traditional style Chinese food. No so much like sweet and sour things here nothing to extravagant. It is straightforward and simple in a delicious way. It is expensive here too but the service and staff are great! They are happy to help you and recommend things. I took my parents here and we are a lot of great food and yeah they were happy with the food.

Soba noodle shop
Kadohei Tsuketen Soba is a charming eatery established in 1950, renowned for its Tsuketen-style soba served with a soy-based broth and delectable shrimp tempura. The friendly staff warmly welcome both locals and foreigners, offering assistance to non-Japanese speakers and guiding patrons on how to savor the bucket wheat noodles and dipping sauce.
I enjoyed their soba with tsuketen (tempura dipping sauce). The soba noodles were perfectly chilled and firm, showcasing a delightful texture and subtle buckwheat flavor. Paired with the rich and savory dipping sauce, the dish provided a comforting yet refined experience. The shrimp tempura was crisp and light, with a golden batter that stayed crunchy when dipped into the sauce. The traditional ambiance of the restaurant added to the charm😍
Yasuやす — Google review
Hands down, best soba on my trip to Japan! Noodles were firm and tasty, tsuketen a perfect balance, tempura was light and crispy and the sobayu ended the meal on such a high! Wonderful and accommodating staff! I seriously would consider staying just in Yokohama for this restaurant!
Barry N — Google review
Super friendly and supportive to foreigners! They would offer English menu to non-Japanese speakers and do their best to understand your needs! They also show you how to enjoy the bucket wheat noodles and the dipping sauce. During your meal, they would serve you a red lacquer kettle filled with noodle water. When your noodles are finished, pour the noodle water into your sauce bowl and enjoy it as soup! Very soothing and comforting with their delicious meal and hospitality!

I stumbled upon this restaurant thanks to our local friends' recommendations, and I couldn't be happier. We revisited this restaurant three times before leaving Yokohama, and each visit we visit, the quality of food has not changed. The marinated pork here is undoubtedly one of the best I've ever tasted. I'm usually not a fan of udon but their udon is smooth and bouncy, I really like it! This will be one of the things I'll miss. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend giving this place a try. Parking across the street is free for up to an hour when you dine in.

I went here for the Katsudon, and attempted to use my broken Japanese. The servers there were beyond kind with me. I did not know it was cash only, and they kindly let me run to the Family Mart to let me get cash. I apologize for being a burden today. The katsudon was very delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Lila S — Google review
A short walk from Yokohama Station. Ladies running the shop are very warm and friendly. Soba and prawn tempura is the staple. Tempura batter was so good and soba noodles cooked to perfection. Pork Katsu Don is another popular dish. Serving was generous and tasted amazing. I will be back!
Ben T — Google review
Have had delicious soba, tsuketen, and katsudonburi here. Could be considered slightly pricier than average but well worth the authenticity and freshness. No line and plenty of seating at 11:30am on a weekday but was full by 12pm when we left. No English menu provided.

Portion of soba given was plentiful. Once you were done with the soba they gave you sobayu to add in to the tsuyu and drink it all down. Good stuff
