Lounge
Located on the 10th floor of the Canopy by Hilton hotel, Whiskey Charlie is a rooftop bar with spectacular views of the Washington Monument and Capital City. The outdoor deck is perfect for cocktails in warm weather, and at night the Capitol Dome shines brightly in the distance. Get there early to snag a front row seat for some amazing sunsets.
Beautiful view of the harbor. Staff was beyond cool and helpful. The security guard was the best. She was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The bar staff took car of us quick and professional. The old fashioned was delicious!!

A special shoutout to Johnny Le, the Whiskey Charlie Lounge General Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure every guest had a great experience. Not only was he welcoming and attentive, but he also had fantastic restaurant recommendations whenever he heard what we had planned for the day. His local insights made our trip even better! If you're looking for a little date night but don’t want to venture far from the hotel, Whiskey Charlie’s is a great spot to enjoy appetizers and a fantastic selection of drinks while soaking in the stunning views. At the moment, they are still renovating the outdoor space, but once it’s complete, this will definitely be the place to be! Or, if you have a sweet tooth, the hotel restaurant offers some delicious sweet treats—my favorite was their rich and decadent chocolate cake, perfect for ending the night on a sweet note!

I met a group of friends here on a Saturday. Food, drinks, and atmosphere were good. I recommend getting the shrimp ceviche. Our server Sophia was amazing! We loved her. She was attentive, friendly, and kept our area clean. The bartenders were also nice. Depending on where you sit, you can get nice views of the Potomac river and Wharf. The music added to the vibe too; they were playing Afro beats, Caribbean music and other mainstream music. Here’s why I didn’t rate this place as 5 stars. When the group first arrived, the initial server (I believe Maclovia was her name) was not accommodating to the group, dismissive and showed a lack of care. This could have been a one off situation. Despite the initial experience, this place was enjoyable. I would recommend this place.
Ashley C — Google review
Great view from the rooftop and they have very nice selections of drinks! 🍹 Whiskey 🥃 were great! It’s best spot for the wharf viewings! Love the whiskey and cocktails here
Tommy T — Google review
Very nice spot for drinks. Great atmosphere and friendly staff, will definitely return.

Whiskey Charlie is located on the rooftop of the Canopy Hotel wharf. Being it is a rooftop bar, I recommend sitting outside when the weather is good to catch the sunset or unwind for an evening night cap. This review is only for the cocktails. On this visit I got the Whiskey Charlie mule and old scallywag, one for each hand. I don't like my drinks sweet so I requested to hold the simple syrup and to make them spirit forward. Both were perfect and went down to fast. I have read some reviews complaining of the drinks and the prices. I didn't have that experience, but recommend if there is anything wrong with your drink ask nicely and they will fix it. Service was ok, but I'd return when in the area.
PETER P — Google review
A very cool rooftop bar just overlooking the marina! The vibes were amazing, staff super friendly and prompt. We were a group of 7 and we just walked in (first come first serve). The views are amazing! They serve a quite good variety of drinks with not so much options of food as it’s not a restaurant, but we had flatbread pizza, marinated olives, ahi tuna salad and they were great. Recommended!
A S — Google review
Went for my birthday and while it was expensive for two drinks for two people ($100), for a special occasion this is perfect. Jordan made the heck out of our drinks. Amazing views of the wharf, the Jefferson memorial and parts of DC. Great atmosphere, drinks, and vibes. Friendly staff. Attentive. Would 100% return again

Lounge
Top of the Gate is a riverside lounge located atop the Watergate Hotel, offering stunning views of the Potomac River, Georgetown waterfront, and iconic landmarks like the Washington Monument and Pentagon. This rooftop venue provides a stylish setting for socializing and relaxation with its innovative menus, colorful seasonal cocktails inspired by sunset hues over the Potomac, and vibrant ambiance.
The views are awesome and service outstanding. Kayla, our server, was attentive, caring and all around wonderful. A great place to view the city while enjoying a cool drink and delicious food. Top notch.
John B — Google review
Everything was great, view and atmosphere! Super nice hostess, except that we had to do self-service and go to the bar for cocktails, and then return to the table;( also plastic glasses not impressive.
Irina G — Google review
Beautiful views. Food was very good. Cocktails were wonderful but the service was terrible. Long wait for a drink. We were told seating was limited to the bar. Reserved signs on tables that remained empty. Very over priced.
Bryanna A — Google review
Would love to give this place a 5 because of the spectacular views it has to offer. However the host and the seating he chose for a party of six that was reserved more than a week in advance was totally unacceptable. Not only did he seem indifferent, but was unwilling to accommodate us with seats with better views. His response was that area was reserved for a private party. We were there from 630pm until after 10pm, never saw the imaginary private party in that area. Upon leaving the manager was informed about our displeasure with the seating arrangements he offered his business card to contact him when we come again. Really, no complimentary cocktail or discounts. Didn’t feel like he wanted our business, even though we spent over $700, price not a problem, cost of everything is on the menu and should not be a surprise when the bill comes. Food and drinks were good , the wait service also very good. Do better with the attitude of host and his people skills
V W — Google review
The Watergate Hotel is the perfect place for a sunset dinner. The views are amazing, the drinks are great and the service is exceptional. First time visiting, will return!
Jennifer O — Google review
The most beautiful sunset I have seen in DC, but the service is way too slow! I wish they would do something to fix the service and this place would get a five star rating from me!
Rheem S — Google review
A short time ago, my wife and I celebrated a successful college drop off of our daughter With a late evening, drink on the terrace. The views over Washington were spectacular, the champagne, perfectly chilled, but what really made the evening was our host. Boudewijn (Bo)is a well mannered Dutch hospitality student who not only made us feel welcomed, but his attention to detail made our evening perfect. Further, his interesting banter with us was very entertaining. My wife and I will be back!
Mark B — Google review
What an amazing place! My daughter and I stumbled upon the historic Watergate Hotel and learned there was a rooftop restaurant and bar. We went up and knew this is where we wanted to go for my other daughter’s birthday. They made her feel like a Princess! Everyone was so nice. Just spectacular views, affordable prices for shared appetizers and drinks. And for anyone who loves history this place is a must go!

Italian restaurant

Nestled at The Wharf, Officina is a vibrant three-story tribute to Italian cuisine crafted by Michelin-starred chef Nicholas Stefanelli. This multifaceted venue boasts a lively market on the ground floor where you can indulge in housemade pastries and espresso during the day, transitioning into an inviting café serving classic Italian dishes paired with cocktails as night falls. Ascend to the trattoria for handmade pasta and prime meats sourced from the market below, all while enjoying an extensive collection of amaro.
Had a very enjoyable group dinner in their private dining room upstairs to celebrate a friend's birthday. Food was great and service also.
Bill W — Google review
If you are visiting DC and you are asked to select a location with a view of the Potomac and you hear the word "Italian food" and immediately think of healthy portions and a view of the Wharf. Remember this location is a book end on the Wharf (water views are limited). The food is tastier than it appears on the plate and the drinks are okay. Prices and service is standard. The atmosphere can accommodate any comfort level. The theme is an upscale steakhouse. Parking could be a beast. I would suggest prior reservations. There is an elevator.
Daphne — Google review
The rooftop was incredibly warm to eat inside. The windows were mostly closed which allowed for little airflow and a very warm dining experience. Good food and happy hour drinks/small bites.
Meghan W — Google review
We had a fantastic experience dining here with a large group for both happy hour and dinner. The team went above and beyond to accommodate us seamlessly, and their attentiveness and professionalism were truly impressive. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations—the food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the ambiance and views were absolutely stunning. It’s rare to find a place that combines exceptional service, atmosphere, and cuisine so effortlessly, but this restaurant delivers on all fronts. This is a true high-end dining experience and a gem at The Wharf. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you Bruce and staff!
Jenna G — Google review
The restaurant should be closed until renovations are done to remediate their mold problem. About half way through dinner we looked up and all over the ceiling above the tables on the 2nd floor was mold. Also, they had a portable AC unit in their wine room just pumping the exhaust into the dining room. It is supposed to be vented outside. The food was okay. Apps were actually pretty good but the one pasta dish and the chicken parm were not good. The chicken parm was greasy, dry, and barely had any sauce. The service for the most part was good but wouldn’t matter if it was excellent with food that isn’t great and eating under moldy ceilings. I do not recommend going here.
Brendan M — Google review
As an Italian food enthusiast and Italian myself if you asked me “where to go for good American Italian restaurant” I would tell you officina but for authentic Italian restaurant I wouldn’t really recommend this place. The food is good but not top Italian. The service is good too, I’m disappointed with the ricotta filling for the cannoli, that’s a no. As a Sicilian it’s a no! You need to use a high quality ricotta and add orange zest to it. Also pistachio is pistacchio with double c because some menu items were in Italian some in English needs consistence. I’m very observant and critical when it comes to high end Italian food. Thank you
Helen M — Google review
This was really good food. Our service was excellent. We seemed to have the place all to ourselves. There were a lot of people there, but the place was huge. You shouldn't be disappointed with the food. I would have liked to have seen a bit more on the menu. But it was good. But they need to make sure that bread gets to everyone. We didn't know they had bread until another table got it. That happens, but it isn't cool.
Craig S — Google review
We went on a Wednesday for their pasta deal and celebrated 2 different Birthdays as a party of 4. The service was wonderful and they provided both our Birthday boy and Birthday girl with a gold leafed dessert despite ordering half off entrees in the middle of the week... That is top notch and unforgettable in my book. Most places don't let you have the deal and the high end touches, thank you Officina for breaking the mold here! The pasta being half off was still incredible and well portioned, vibe was excellent, go check them out anytime!

VUE Rooftop is a stylish and trendy rooftop lounge located in downtown DC, offering prime views of the city skyline, including iconic landmarks like the Washington Monument and the White House. Situated atop Hotel Washington, this chic venue features an elegant setting and draws a hip crowd with its seasonal cocktails and fresh cuisine served from both above and below the horizon line.
I had a dinner in Vue. The welcome was warm and nice. The views to the White House and the Washington monument are astonishing. The food was excellent, i came from NYC and the food and the service was lower there. I suggest to taste fish! Or the Duck. And compliments the main hostess! A very warm and friendly blonde lady! Thanks for making me feel like home! 🙏🏻❤️
Tauri T — Google review
We enjoyed our dinner and views from our table. The dessert was also delicious and nicely plated. The service delivered was incredible. Constructive feedback: I would recommend not allowing guests to take pictures while we are having dinner. A few came and snapped pics of their drinks facing the national monument. I think when customers pay over $300 plus, they should enjoy their experience thoroughly, The rope doesn’t offer much privacy when others walk right by it. If your customers pay dollars for the experience, give it to them. Great job overall.
Cynthia B — Google review
Celebrated a friend's birthday. Great service, great view and the food was amazing. Started off with the Coastal Fritto (Shrimp and Calamari). Then we had the Branzino and Duck Confit for the main course. We ended with a complimentary birthday desert ❤️
Dnisha 4 — Google review
Happy to have found this place on Google maps, and had the time to stop in! I am sure I visited during non-peak time, but I had a wonderful experience. Greeter was extremely friendly, and pointed out where I should sit for the best view (it was the view that made me want to come!) The bartender was very nice and friendly as well. I did not have food, so my food score is really a drink score. And the drink itself was very well crafted, but the prices are high. I had one cocktail, that included 20% gratuity, was $34. But, I went into this knowing I wanted the photo and the experience, so not upset! Overall, super fun spot for a drink and the VUE!
Krystal S — Google review
I had a lovely date at VUE Rooftop, and it exceeded expectations in every way. The views are absolutely spectacular—you can see the White House and several monuments glowing against the skyline. It’s truly one of the best vantage points in D.C. The bartenders here definitely know their craft. The Under Review cocktail starts off sweet and finishes with a perfect little kick of heat, while the Congressional Recess is light, crisp, and refreshing—ideal for a summer evening. The whiskey selection is also impressive, and the bar vibe makes it easy to strike up conversations with interesting people from all over the world. We chose to sit outside to soak in the rooftop views, and the layout was both elegant and comfortable. The service staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. For food, I highly recommend starting with the ceviche—bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. My main course was the Atlantic Linguine, generously loaded with lobster and beautifully seasoned. Overall, VUE Rooftop is the perfect blend of ambiance, quality, and sophistication. Whether you’re on a date, entertaining visitors, or just in the mood for an exceptional evening, this spot delivers every time.
Valentina H — Google review
Amazing view of White House and monuments. Top notch bar, bartenders, and drinks. Great selection of whiskeys. Overall an incredible place to meet people from all over the world and discuss politics.
Joseph M — Google review
Really good view in DC next to the white house. Shame I couldn't see the east wing, maybe poor lighting but it didn't appear to be in its usual spot. Great food and cocktails. Appreciated the fixed gratuity so didn't have to make a decision.
Andy K — Google review
Terrible service, with a 20% service charge added without any advance notice. IDs were checked at the table, and every drink required a valid ID. My friend was in the bathroom, so we couldn’t even order a drink for her. Checking IDs at the entrance would have made the whole process much smoother. The interior and table layout felt cheap and poorly arranged—hard to believe this is supposed to be a hotel bar. The music selection was a bit too unique. Some tracks sounded like country cowboy tunes, which felt oddly out of place.

El Techo is a vibrant rooftop restaurant and bar located above Rito Loco, offering Latin tapas and craft cocktails. The 1,100 square foot space has been dubbed 'The Adult Treehouse' by Washington Magazine, featuring a jungle-esque decor that creates a vacation-like atmosphere for up to 100 guests. The menu showcases Latin-inspired tapas and entrees, with the option to customize private event menus in collaboration with their sister restaurant, Rito Loco.
If there was an option to give more than 5 stars I would! My Boyfriend & I visited El Techo and our waiter Ezekiel was very welcoming & very attentive! Live music & AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. The Atmosphere was very colorful & BEAUTIFUL! The hour drive was worth every second here! No disappointments! Book your reservations ASAP! Thank you Ezekiel! We’ll be back!

Went on a Saturday night in between brunch and dinner hours to a nice mixed crowd. Nice covered rooftop with a DJ spinning a mix of afrobeats, Latin, and other music. The bartender Angelo was super attentive and cool to chat with. Great vibes. I tried the carne asada bowl and it hit the spot.
Christian M — Google review
Cool place but not good for gluten free. The $6.49 gluten free shrimp taco didn’t come with anything on it - just 2 bare shrimp on a corn tortilla. Found out afterwards my cousin who I was with ordered the same, and hers came dressed. Server didn’t know anything about allergens but fetched a manager who was knowledgeable. Super fun atmosphere and the staff were attentive and nice. Would go back for drinks!

El techo was absolutely amazing. Could not recommend more. We got there when they first opened and the atmosphere was still insanely good. Food, service, atmosphere, drinks, AMAZING. Louis (the owner) greeted us and interacted with every customer there. He was awesome. If you’re looking for brunch/good drinks/food or just a good time, GO TO EL TECHO!!

Fun lively techno dance vibe on a rooftop. Friendly service, including check-ins from the owner. On the rooftop on a warm summer day - it’s perfect. Solo visit on a Saturday evening and luckily got a seat right away at the bar open air window. But make a reservation if you want seating. It was all booked

We held our baby shower at El Techo for 45 people, and it was absolutely fantastic!! The staff and the owner were extremely attentive and flexible with what we envisioned and the space was absolutely perfect. The food is phenomenal and it’s a great price point too, so I’d recommend to anyone to have an event here!

Had a birthday for one of my closest friends last night. The El Techo team held our cake, added the candles, and took every other step, down to the smallest details, in ensuring we had the best event imaginable. Super special shoutout to Cheyanne. Whenever we needed anything she was in arms reach, doing the absolute most in making sure we were happy. Definitely returning thanks to her. You don’t get service like this anywhere. Thank you, everyone!

It serves baseball-themed cocktails and a ballpark-inspired menu including hot dogs, burgers, pretzels, and cold brews.
Probably some of the best sunset views you’ll get in DC which is also affordable. The food was good and the spot is very chill. The service was decent, good for happy hour or a chill par nothing stuffy just a good vibe.

Just...okay Neither the A-Team, nor the B-Team, was serving on a Wednesday night when the Nats were playing. Cold and stale hotdog buns, and missing a side. HOWEVER, great prices on food and drinks during happy hour. If you bring friends and tempered expectations, you can have a great one-time experience. Not likely to return.

Located on the rooftop of the Hampton Inn & Suites, Top of the Yard is a solid spot to catch views of Nationals Park and kick back with a drink. The rooftop is outfitted with large comfy sofas, perfect for soups, and from the right angle you can even see the pitchers mound. The outfield view is partially blocked by solar panels, but it’s still a cool vantage point. The drinks were surprisingly great and strong. A vodka soda ran me just $7.70, which is a steal compared to ballpark prices. My friends also let me know the food was good. When it started raining, we were able to head down to the lobby with out drinks and wait it out comftorably. There’s also a small covered bar area on the rooftop if you manage to grab a seat. Just a few blocks from the stadium, this is the perfect pregame spot, or even a fun way to catch the start of the game from above
Paolo S — Google review
Cool spot! It’s a nice rooftop bar on top of the hotel. Really nice view of the Nationals stadium. My only suggestion is to provide more shade in the seating areas for these very sunny spring and summer days. Only the bar and one table had coverage. There’s was plenty of other seating that wasn’t utilized because of no shade. Other than that, it was nice and I’ll be back!
Travina S — Google review
Service is super slow and misheard my order despite it being relatively empty at the rooftop. The food portions were small and drinks were average. The rooftop view is limited and primarily a parking garage with solar panel roofing.

Great rooftop affordable bar in the area. Good views of Nats Park and the part of the city. A small menu, good food. The entrance is inside of the hotel

CHRIS F IS THE BEST!!!! I love this spot! If you're here for a game or a concert, COME HERE FOR DRINKS/FOOD! Amazing service. Beautiful view. Hilarious company. This is the best place to drink in Navy Yard. Thank you, Hampton Inn, for providing this location!

Jack Rose Dining Saloon is a top-notch bar in Washington, DC that boasts an extensive collection of over 2,700 bottles of whiskey. The ambiance is reminiscent of a sophisticated library with leather seats and ladders to reach the highest bottles. Whether you're a whiskey connoisseur or just looking for a great drink, this place has something for everyone.
“Jack Rose Dining Saloon is a true gem for food and whiskey lovers alike.” The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between upscale and cozy, with a stunning wall of rare whiskies and a warm, inviting dining space. The food is exceptional—creative yet comforting. The bone marrow, duck breast, and bourbon bread pudding were all standouts. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Service was professional and knowledgeable, especially when it came to whiskey recommendations. The staff made the experience smooth and memorable. Whether you’re a whiskey enthusiast or just after a memorable dinner in D.C., Jack Rose delivers on every level.

Jack Rose is a D.C. institution. It's in Adams Morgan and comes with plenty of seating and an impressive whiskey selection. On top of that, they have lots of cocktail options. For my birthday, my wife got us a small private room on the second floor with our own bar. It was beautiful and more quiet compared to the main space. It was the perfect place to end my birthday weekend.

Jack Rose Dining Saloon is such a cool spot for whiskey lovers and anyone who enjoys a cozy, rustic atmosphere. The selection of whiskeys is seriously impressive—there’s something for everyone, from beginners to connoisseurs. I loved how the bartenders took the time to recommend drinks based on my taste preferences. The food pairs really well with the drinks. I tried the pretzel with beer cheese dip and the pork belly—both were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with beautiful wood accents and a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to settle in for the evening. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, though it got a bit busy, so things moved a little slower than usual. Overall, Jack Rose is a fantastic spot for a night out with friends or a casual date. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their extensive whiskey menu!

This isn’t just another overpriced New American restaurant! I didn’t come for the whisky selection per se, but the seasonal cocktail I got was one of my favorite cocktails ever. It was a pumpkin infused whisky drink that was incredibly spirit forward and not too sweet in any way. I also got one of the single barrel cocktails. The deviled eggs, tartare, and Mac and cheese balls were all wonderful appetizers. I got the pork chop as my main which might have been my favorite pork chop ever. My two friends really enjoyed their crab cakes, although they are small so maybe don’t order if you’re very hungry. The flash fried Brussels were great too!! Katie and Michael were both fantastic servers!

My boyfriend and I traveled to DC for Jack Roses extensive bourbon selection for his birthday. We had an awesome time. The food was amazing. The selection of bourbon was great. The best part about it was the bartenders. They are incredibly knowledgeable and really go out of their way to make sure you’re having the experience you want.
Heather G — Google review
I LOVE a whiskey bar vibe! I had really high hopes for this place - a pdf of 82 pages detailing all their whiskey??? Yes please!! We're my expectations too high? Maybe. My drink was good - an interesting experience but not something I'd ever order again. But the biggest reason I'm rating low was the noise! It was so loud in there! Not quite the whiskey bar vibes I was expecting when this place was recommended.
Alanis N — Google review
If you love whiskey, you have to go to Jack Rose when you're in DC. Amazing selection, and beautiful bar! I had to try the house single barrel flight, and it was delicious. The bartender was very friendly and informative at first so I was very surprised when the bartender didn't ask me what I thought, or even which one I liked better. Highly recommend, will return

Don’t snooze on going to the basement while you are waiting for a table, they have a great collection available for sale. If you’ve heard of it, they have it available for a drink. A far superior bourbon bar to any other I’ve seen.

Perry's Restaurant is a stylish multi-level establishment in Adams Morgan, known for its Japanese cuisine, sushi, and specialty cocktails. The restaurant has gained popularity for its community-focused drag brunches and its inviting rooftop bar. In 2022, Chef Masako Morishita took over the kitchen, bringing her innovative approach to modern comfort food to the menu.
Went here for restaurant week and the entire experience was amazing. The staff were phenomenal, very kind and professional, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere is great. Perfect for a date or to treat yourself. The happy hour is also a great deal for the quality of food and drinks. Their rooftop is also amazing. Zero complaints. Absolutely will be back.

We came here for happy hour and sat at the bar inside - very popular so we had to wait around 10 minutes for a seat but could still order drinks whilst we were waiting. The bar service was really friendly and quick. Tried both Japanese beer and sake at happy hour prices and they were great. The sushi was tasty and fresh but the karaage was a bit too greasy for our taste.
Kate P — Google review
I can't say enough good things about this place. The service was great with spot on recommendations. The shrimp burger was mind blowing. Who knew shrimp could be a burger? These folks, that's who. The mango cocktail, the name I've forgotten, sorry, was so good. A little spicy but just right. We also had the upon carbonara, which again, who knew that was a thing. I got to smash the egg yolk and mix it around in the noodles before eating it. 😋 I can highly recommend eating here if you're in the area!

Incredible Sushi, Cocktails, and Value! My experience at Perry's in D.C. was absolutely amazing! If you're looking for fantastic sushi, this is the place. The sushi was incredible; the fish was super fresh and every piece was excellent. We loved the variety of fresh options to share. Their cocktails were also a hit! I would totally recommend Perry's for a nice, yet affordable dinner with friends. Just a heads up: it’s clearly a hot spot, so make sure to book a reservation well in advance!"

Really unbelievable DC gem. Gorgeous restaurant set up inside and really wonderful rooftop with first-come-first-served bar seating. I cannot say enough about how incredible the food is here. Very accommodating to dietary needs, like vegetarian and gluten free, without feeling like there is even a tiny bit of diminished quality or value. Kind, thoughtful, and helpful staff, too. Might be one of my all time favorite restaurants.

We went to Perry’s to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday with family. The atmosphere was modern and clean. The food was delicious no doubt about it. Out of everything we ordered what really stood out to me was the fried rice (a must get) and the sushi. The service was friendly but we were waiting a while to order entrees and get the check during a busy time.

I wanted to try the Japanese breakfast by James Beard Award-winning Chef Masako Morishita. I also wanted to introduce my family to a good Japanese breakfast since I am Japanese. I personally enjoyed Nikujaga, which is a popular Japanese beef stew for children. Vegetable Agedashi was well-seasoned. I could tell they used fresh ingredients. The fish (Trout) was meaty, and I was surprised that its color was pink. Everything is typical of family meals. It's very Japanese, but it is flavorful. The waitress was very friendly. Why are the ratings 4 stars instead of 5 stars? It was because of Resy. I had an issue canceling the booking before.

This is ALWAYS a good place to go. The drinks are super good and the service is great. But the food is the star of the show. I highly recommend the squash blossoms as well as the carbonara. Also any sushi you get will be good.

Red Derby is just one of those cool neighborhood bars that never disappoints. Cheap drinks, good food, and a super chill vibe — nothing fancy, just the right kind of comfortable. The rooftop’s awesome when the weather’s nice, and the staff always keep things easy. Perfect spot to unwind and grab a few with friends.

Super friendly and welcoming bartender. Great atmosphere, some games in the corner (scrabble, trivial pursuit, maybe 10-15 others) and even some books. Nice back room for private events and a rooftop as well. Didn’t try food but drinks were good and vibes were great!

Colada Shop is a vibrant Cuban-themed cafe located in Washington, D.C., offering a variety of Cuban coffee drinks, tropical cocktails, and light fare. The cafe features a colorful and lively ambiance with an open-air rooftop patio adorned with hanging string lights and potted herbs. Guests can enjoy a selection of tropical cocktails on the rooftop while relaxing on comfortable sofas and chairs.
Came here for a couple Cuban coffees. Got the Cafe Con Leche and the seasonal Carrot Cake Latte, which was delightful, and sat upstairs on the roof on a gorgeous morning. What a lovely spot, I'd come here again. There's ample seating, both outside and in. Can't wait to come back and try the food!

I saw this place on Instagram. I had to try it. I really wanted the drinks but settled for coffee because it was 9am. The cuban coffee was strong and amazing. I had the tostada and the breakfast empanadas. Everything was so good. We got the drinks to go in a pouch. I tried the pina colada and a daiquiri. Bith were out of this world. The dulce de leche brownie had me licking my fingers. We will hopefully return before we leave DC. The service was very accommodating and professional. Love it!. The rooftop was beautiful.

I love the colada shop! I've ordered from here by delivery, takeout, and dine-in. They have a cortadito which is hard to find. Their breakfast empanada is DELICIOUS, and I like their sofritas wrap as well. Any time I'm even remotely in the area I'll stop by for a little treat. The vibes here are good, there's lots of seating, good music, free water, and the people who work here have always been pleasant.

Lively music, many seating options, rooftop garden…what more does one need? Oh yes, cocktails in the afternoon! Ordered coffee only but interested in coming back.
Aimee L — Google review
I don't think I can recommend this place. I sat at a rooftop table #41 and ordered from the QR code. Then waited and waited. After 25 minutes I walked down to see what was happening with my order. I found my sandwich sitting on a counter, I walked it back to my table. And then went back for my beer. These places need to improve their service. I've never experienced this bad service in quite some time. The sandwich wasn't too bad, after I asked them to heat it up for me.
Abigail V — Google review
DO NOT ORDER ANY SMOOTHIE! I absolutely love the empanadas here. But the Good for your Mojito is terrible, 1/4 is smoothie, the other 3/4 is chop ice with small pieces of spinach. It is $10 to get a very small and mediocre smoothie! Update: I did try to reach the owner following its instructions, they haven’t responded at all.
Daniela L — Google review
Ok so this restaurant is packed with flavor, amazing feels, and it's a really cute stop when you visit the wharf! I came on fourth of July, so it was packed. We sat in their outside area and used their qr's to order. The process was easy, made sense, and we got our food quickly! They weirdly didn't give my friends their rum in their drinks and we had to ask for it after we were served? It might just be because I not from the area but I didn't get it. The waiters were nice though! I got the cocolada as my drink and it was good. But, I got the corn and salsa and the chicken empanada's. They were wonderous, melt in your mouth good. I highly recommend them, and if I visit again I think that I'll try something else off their menu because they had a really good looking spread. reccomend

I wish this would allow me to put no stars. I’m not sure if my terrible experience was racially motivated (we are young and black) but It sure did feel like it. I was at the Location off of U st. today around 3:15/3:20 and the service at the roof top bar was AWFUL. As a service industry worker I understand the frustration of a brunch rush but being rude and inattentive is crazy. When we finally were spoken to we were treated like we were bothering them. I ordered a drink and it never came even after 20/25 minutes, mind you everyone else in the party had received theirs. Then one of the “frozen” Margaritas came out every which way BUT frozen. My friend mentioned it and her drink was not only snatched (literally) but she was told it wasn’t finished she could wait 15 min until it’s done. Then never brought anything back. (The picture is of the horrible bartender , never got his name because of course he didn’t introduce himself) Save yourself the trip and go to Emmys Squared around the corner. David the manager was absolutely phenomenal.

The ambiance and view is soooo nice! Watching the sunset from the rooftop and all the people watching on U street from this bar was a great way to spend my Wednesday evening :,) The staff was friendly and eclectic too! Thomas & Micaela met me with a huge smile and warm welcome which was so comforting for someone dining alone at the bar! It was my first time and they were very patient with me and guided me through the menu, answering all my questions, and gave great recommendations. I got a mojito and it was just how I like it! Well-balanced & not too sweet at all. Happy hour is a steal here too with all of the cocktails under $10. Although drinks & service was really great, I I do wish they had more vegan options on the menu for plant-based people like me! Aside from that I will definitely be back with a date or some friends :) (lgbtq+ friendly too!!!)

We came here on the random and it was absolutely magnificent. Racquel behind the bar made me a specialty drink using bourbon and espresso to wake me up from my night before my friend had several drinks with tequila. All tasted delicious. We had a good time. We’ll definitely be back. Make sure you hit the spot up.

Had the privilege of being served by Thomas. An honest soul and the best drink recommendations! Get the Southern Smash, you won’t be disappointed!
Jessica — Google review
This place was perfect for a casual date night with some friends. I loved the vibe and decor and definitely loved the seating on the balcony. It’s a busy part of town so parking can be nearly impossible and it’s not unusual for your time there to be filled with lots of sirens and ambulances passing by or even loud people on motorcycles. We all decided to go the appetizer route and get one of everything to share. The boneless chicken wings have an amazingly flavorful and crunchy out exterior which is fantastic! The inside is pretty darn juicy, too! But it wasn’t unusual to find a good amount of chewy fat or something going on inside. The truffle fries were super delicious! The old bay tots weren’t overwhelmed by the seasoning, but they were nice and crispy and perfect for dipping in the yummy garlic aïoli. Of the sliders and sandwiches, I personally thought that the barbecue pork was way better than any of the other options. The burger looked pretty boring and I was disappointed in the lack of flavor and the short rib sandwich.

Nestled atop Union Market, Hi-Lawn is a vibrant rooftop venue that perfectly captures the essence of a laid-back picnic spot in Washington, D.C. Since its opening in 2020, this expansive green space has become a go-to destination for those seeking delicious seasonal American fare and refreshing cocktails. With colorful patio umbrellas and picnic tables scattered across the artificial turf, guests can enjoy their drinks while soaking up stunning views of the city.
My husband and I went for a date nigh to their new pop-up experience “Hi-Dome”. And it was phenomenal! I didn’t exactly know what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations! The ambience, show, staff, and decor were 10/10! If this were a 5-point scale I would’ve given all 5 points. There is a limited menu which is highlighted on the website; but the lobster bisque had all the flavor and no lobster….. A few more options would be nice, but DOESNT take away from The experience!! I would still go Back again and again! We also Greatly appreciate that this winter pop-up Experience, was truly WINTER. We do not celebrate holidays, and we respect that other people do; nevertheless it is so refreshing to go somewhere that wasn’t Christmas themed. I WILL BE RECOMMENDING TO ALL MY FRIENDS!!!!
Danielle S — Google review
We came here during a Valentine’s Day trip & we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Parking was simple enough & free. The Dome itself was pretty warm & cozy even though it was really windy outside. The couch was comfortable. The food was okay, not the worst I’ve had & reasonably priced. Some of the scenes in the Dome were old (from Christmas) but overall, it’s worth giving this place a try!

We came here on a Friday closer to 10pm in April. We took the elevator up. They have a pretty large roof area and the weather was nice. It was not crowded so we found a table to sit easily. Then we scanned the QR code to place our order. They came with our order fairly quickly. We just ordered drinks and one thing of fries. My drink included lavender and the taste took over the drink. If I came back, I would try something different. The fries were nothing special and the salt was not evenly distributed throughout the fries. They did well for munching food while drinking. We had a nice and chill time here.

"The Dome" on the roof of Hi-Lawn DC is an exceptional experience! The giant dome looks so cool on the roof and inside is a next level immersive projection mapping show with food and drink. There are a lot of really cool digital art exhibitions in DC right now and this is definitely one of the best and very unique. 100% worth checking out with some friends at night!

“The Dome Snowglow” was pretty overpriced for what it is. The tent and environment in general felt very cheap. On top of the tickets the pricing for drinks and food were high as well. Some groups of 2 got 4 people seating with wooden structure but some have a tiny bench. Consider how seats are paid for per person idk how they do it. The Dome visuals were neat so that was fun at least.
Zhen L — Google review
The Dome Snowglow is a special, holiday popup located in a 50-foot sphere on the rooftop of Hi-Lawn @ Union Market. You have to purchase tickets for either 2, 4 or 6 people, via Resy, for a 90-min winter-themed immersive experience with cocktails and snacks. I was able to snag tix for 2 on a Mon @ 5:30p. Rumor has it that it’s sold out until January, however, you might be able to get tix or roll the dice and try to walk-in. When we arrived it seemed as though the elevator wasn’t working and there was a sign saying it was closed. Luckily, we decided to check it out and after walking several flights and opening a closed door, we were happy to find it wasn’t closed. From what I gathered, the staff forgot to pull the closed sign. The Dome Snowglow popup has only been open for four days, so it is working out some of its kinks. We were guided directly to our table which felt like a cozy sitting area in a living room. The ceiling featured a variety of winter scenes from the Northern Lights to fireplaces and snow falling in the forest. There were flocked Christmas trees all around and cozy lounge furniture. Once you’re seated, you’re treated to a warm dashi broth as an amuse buche. The cocktail menu is ok, I was thinking that the drinks might look a little more festive looking, but they were just ok. I had a cream de menthe flavored-drink accented with a chocolate truffle. For appetizers, we ordered the mushroom custard, which was a medley of mushrooms and mushroom mousse with a savory cream custard. A little salty, but quite delicious if you’re a mushroom fan. The charcuterie was great. We also ordered the toast with salmon roe and lardo and crispy prawns. I wasn’t a fan of the lardo on the toast; and while the crispy prawns with cauliflower had a nice flavor, they weren’t anything special. Our food took a little long to come out, so our waiter was kind enough to comp us shots for the wait, which was nice of him. The ambience is like a cozy ski chalet and if you can get a reservation, it’s a nice holiday vibe. Once the 90 mins is up, you’re encouraged to check out the front lounge area, which also has a bar, lounge seating and fun illuminated ski lift. Depending on the time of your reservation, you can check out Union Market, if it’s still open. The Dome Snowglow popup is open through the end of February 2025.

The staff was very friendly and provided quick service as well as good vibes. I had the fish and chips which were delicious and the all day happy hour was a nice surprise. Overall, good vibes, great food and friendly staff make this a place I would happily return.

Very nice rooftop bar. Great views. Not too busy during the week

The rooftop bar is a great experience. We enjoyed the cocktails and the view of Adams Morgan. The crowd here was fairly young, although there was a range of folks in their 30s and 40s. I'll be coming back with a friend.

DAILY happy hour 5 to 7 with wine, beer, cocktails, and food! Then bonus happy hour time from 7 to close with other stuff. Check out the picture of their happy hour specials I posted in this review. The food we ate for $8 was the BEST food we ate during our trip to DC. They put so much effort into such inexpensive dishes. Same goes for their cocktails! I heard they are under new management and these specials are to bring people in. So get there now before you can't get in the door.

Wild Days is a vibrant rooftop bar located at the top of Eaton DC, offering stunning views of Downtown DC. The space hosts various musical events throughout the week, including DJ sets, jazz performances, live music shows, and stand-up comedy. On weekends, it transforms into a lively dance floor. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails, local brews, and inventive fare such as an outdoor s'mores experience.
Israa was such an amazing bartender and host. She has such personality and she’s so down to earth. Such a great atmosphere and a great vibe.

Visited Wild Days at the rooftop of The Eaton Hotel. After hours of traveling I just wanted to grab a drink/listen to some good music. The ambiance and vibes were amazing. The service behind the bar was impeccable especially the bartender Aaron. I had a large party with me, many of which had different orders and short patience. He was quick, attentive and hilarious. Made our trip so much better. Thanks to him and the staff at Wild Days we will be back and bringing more friends.

I really enjoyed the ambiance and the DJ sets. The space is really cozy. And the bartenders were nice and efficient. I did not enjoy the cockroaches though. Pest problems are inevitable in the city, but I saw at least ten the night I went. Two ended up on the table, and one of them crawled on my purse and cup. The humidity was probably a factor, but it was still unpleasant. My shot of espolon was $19, but that seems to be the standard price in DC.
Morgan P — Google review
They had an awesome DJ playing great music. The atmosphere is really laid-back but seating is limited. The drinks are expensive and they didn't stick to the menu price. I got a white wine and it was served in a plastic wine "glass". Disappointing.

Cute place. The downstairs decor is fantastic. As great view of the city and seemed pretty close to things. Most of the parking garages close at 7pm and do not havw 24hr access. I think this is a cool spot and would come back.

Came here for a reservation at 7:30 tried to get food and the waitress told us the kitchen was closed. She offered us a hummus board that we didn’t want but thought was the only option. We see 2 different orders of sandwiches come out and we get who we think is the waiter but is apparently the manager and ask about the kitchen and he says it closes at 10:30. We tell him the waitress told us the kitchen is close and he laughs and doesn’t offer any other options even though is only 10:19. Terrible customer service and lying to staff about the kitchen being closed is completely unacceptable. Do not recommend this business.

Why didn’t y’all tell me this place basically turns into a club. I went here for my birthday, which is around Labor Day weekend. I was under the impression this will be a nice, cute, chill place to go and have some drinks while looking over the rooftop while the sunsets….WELL IT WASNT. I arrived on the top rooftop with music blasting. The girl at the door said I was supposed to have a ticket and she was going to have to charge me $15 to get in but she let me slid, SHOUT OUT TO HER! All I see was grinding and people dancing, kissing, touching all up on each other, honestly I was startled to say the least. I stayed for an hour because the DJ was good. This definitely wasn’t my type of scene. Mind you I came alone. I prolly will not be back again. I didn’t see any food being served just drinks.

The view is amazing. You can eat in or out. There's only appetizers and small bites on the menu though.

Me and my boyfriend were here to celebrate our anniversary and they made it feel really special. Our server Dalton was amazing so friendly and extremely attentive. He even took us to the balcony to take pictures and gave us a tour of the place which was very generous. Drinks, appetizers and entrees were all amazing. We were extremely full so didn’t not order dessert but they surprised us with a complementary dessert and champagne. Loved it will definitely coming back

My partner and I went here for our anniversary. They treated us like royalty, even though we weren't expecting the special treatment! It was amazing. The food was great and the service was even better. While it's not cheap, it was worth it. I got the lobster risotto and the lobster portion was very generous. Drinks were great too. Highly recommend! PS very accommodating for dietary restrictions

The duck and steak were so good ! Servers were outstanding! Such hard workers. We went for brunch ($74 each) and bottomless mimosas ($29) latte was separate ($7). Everything was excellent! I do prefer the brioche French toast down the street at Du Jour. This was such a memorable experience for our last day as a family in DC. Thank you for a great time and wonderful food!

Food was 10/10. I came here hungry after visiting the iSpy museum. I enjoyed the lamb and hummus w/Pita bread and had a tantalizing spicy margarita. The aesthetic is 20/10! Loved it, the staff are amazing, the food was great. The rooftop views were fantastic! I would definitely come back. Wasn’t too happy about the hygiene of the women’s bathroom. For a place like this it should smell better and not be littered with paper towels. That was unpleasant.

Amazing service, most delicious food, clean and classy seating position 👌. Had a very swell time with my friends for my birthday. Our waiter (can’t remember his name 🥹) was so sweet. Only thing was the extra charges. Had about an extra $250 service charge aside the taxes don’t know what that was for. Overall I loved it and will definitely come back and refer others

La Vie exceeded all expectations. The ambiance was a perfect 10/10, and the service matched it. It was warm, attentive, and professional. The food was delicious, and the prices felt very reasonable for the experience. I absolutely loved everything about it, and it truly made my birthday celebration unforgettable.

Anyone who knows me knows that La Vie is one of my favorite brunch spots in DC. It’s located at the Wharf overlooking the water. This place is always busy and reservations go so fast. Don’t wait until the last minute to try and book because it’s hard. Anyways, the service is amazing as expected. The decor is gorgeous. My favorite thing is that the plates are bottomless and served family style. You can literally order anything on the menu as many times are you’d like. I hate that they took the duck carbonara off of the menu. That was my favorite thing. The best thing this visit was the raw bar, the lamb from the carving station and the meatballs. I really am upset that they took my duck carbonara away. The Duck pie was not a good duck substitute. The bottomless mimosas were on the money as well. Our server made sure that they were never empty. Make sure that you dress accordingly. It’s not a casual sneaker place.

Brunch restaurant
Colada Shop is a charming spot located in the U Street corridor, offering Cuban coffee and cuisine. The cafe has a gated patio where you can enjoy your coffee and food with your furry friend. Visitors praise the smooth Cafe Cubano and flavorful lattes. The menu also includes enticing food options like empanadas and Cuban sandwiches. At The Wharf location, guests enjoyed traditional Pina Coladas with Bacardi Ocho float along with delicious empanadas and Cuban sandwiches.
As another stated, this was some of the freshest, best tasting coffee I've had (cappuccino). Ordered the breakfast sandwich and breakfast plate. Both were good. Returned the next day and tried the beef and chicken empanadas. Both were good but the chicken tasted better. Also tried a guava/cream cheese pastry. It was OK.

We stopped here for a quick bite. We had the Colada Shop Cuban Sandwich, which was delicious. The yucca fries were very crispy, the plantain chips had generous portions, and the piña colada was frosty. The space is large and has a great atmosphere. There’s also indoor seating. All the staff were friendly!

Really great cubano. The breakfast sandwich was very light on meat but still good. A nice place to have a quick bite while walking the Wharf. It was busy on a Sunday and so the food was a bit slow to arrive but glad business was good

Delicious and efficient little place. I liked the pay from table QR system they had, and it made service quick and easy. I ordered one of the sofrito bowls and had it with both the chicken and cauliflower/mushrooms. Amazing flavors and a decent portion size too without feeling heavy. I also ordered the mint and lime spritzer which was nice and refreshing. Would to again!

Easy ordering and paying at the table through the website accessible via QR code on the table. The food came quickly and was some of the best Cuban food I’ve ever had, which is saying something since I lived in Tampa, FL for 20+ years.

I visited this tremendous bakery and coffee shop in Washington D.C.'s lively downtown Wharf district at the end of October. Nestled in the Pearl Street corridor, they offer a nice selection of savory, aromatic lattes, pastries and entrees. The brownies are especially moist!

Pulled pork hash on yucca. So good. The pork had great flavor and the yucca was on point. With it didn't come with plastic utensils but easy to forget about after the first bite. So glad I stumbled into the fun spot!
Erika O — Google review
I feel a little mean writing this, but this restaurant wouldn't last a year in business in Miami or NYC. It could only last in a city with minimum competition for cuban restaurants. The ambiance is nice and the menu boasts impressive options. We got cuban sandwiches and I got the new shrimp special. Also ordered a mango tea. The mango tea was the biggest disappointment. It was just a plain black tea, zero flavor whatsoever outside of black tea. The shrimp dish came with a salad with no dressing or seasoning and yucca fries. Yucca fries were good, but I asked for aioli and they completely forgot about it, and it took 10 minutes to get the waitress to notice us again as we were generally ignored. It definitely affected our eating experience to be ignored for so long. The shrimp was a disappointment as they used the lowest quality tiny cocktail shrimp. It would have been so much better if they used large shrimp. The cuban sandwich was good but frankly, the one at Casta's rum bar is better. Would not return.

Made a reservation for a table 2 weeks in advance, 30 mins before my scheduled time the establishment canceled it. Got there they said it was a day party going on and reservations were only for people who purchased bottle service, but to accommodate me my party of 3 could enter for free and stand up somewhere - strike 1. Went to the bar ordered a lemon drop martini it was $33-strike 2. The first bartender (bartender b per receipt ) at least warned us of the price and was friendly so 1 star for that. Second round my friend ordered us 2 coronas $11 each - came with no lime. I went to the bar to request 2 limes (to go with the $11 beer) and was told there is a limit on limes. I was given one lime only and told my friend would have to order another drink to get her lime. Different bartender (tall guy with dreads and a not so friendly attitude). What a mess!! Prices are beyond ridiculous. DJ was good but overall service didn't match the excessive prices.
Koya L — Google review
My first time here, I didn't read the reviews before coming. That was a big mistake and I know better. $49.40 for a double shot of Tito's and a splash of lime juice. Not only was it overpriced she didn't give me a double shot. I thought about asking for the manager just to express how I felt about their price gouging. Knowing that nothing was going to be done. Because this behavior is so intentional. I most definitely will never come back and I will recommend people not to patronize this establishment. And promoters need to do better, with finding suitable establishments to have their functions at. Pretty girls love r&b.
Natasha W — Google review
This was a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The view is beautiful and the vibe at R&B night was definitely a hit!!! The DJ’s were definitely on point.
Von ( — Google review
My experience is different from other reviews because I was there at 3 in the afternoon, alone, and was only there for drinks. The views are excellent and the place has a very upscale club vibe, but in the day it was bright and rather empty. The entrance is almost hidden. Cool. The security guy asked for my ID, which was unexpected. There is a hallway with an elevator door with only two buttons. This elevator has no stops and opens into a very posh seating area. The bar has no seats, and so I ordered. Service was fine. I say outside on a sunny January day and was warm. There was a birthday party of only about 8-10 people. They were not too crazy and everything was peaceful. I don't know how insane this place gets at night. Other reviews make it sound like a serious club. But in the afternoon it seemed like a normal cocktail bar, though relatively expensive(!) It's got great waterfront views, though the direction means no views of the iconic things like the Capitol or Washington Monument. Not sure what else to say here that I'm allowed to say. I recommend it. Don't complain about the prices. When there's a bouncer at 3pm, that on you.
DJ K — Google review
Great views, great service. Limited menu though, just apps?? Definitely deserves a visit because of the fantastic views, DCA airport as well as the chanel and city views. It's amazing and worth the visit for a few drinks. The service is excellent, from the hostess to the servers, super attentive and nice. We ordered the grilled chicken wings and shrimp, both were bland. My party did not finish them because they weren't that good, and for $17 for a few wings, you would think they would be good. Despite that, worth going to just for the views.
The F — Google review
A beautiful rooftop bar on the Wharf with some great views of the sunset. Unfortunately, it is quite expensive with $20 cocktails and appetizers/food starting at $10. The food did taste really good and I enjoyed the seasoned fries and shrimp/chicken tacos.

This spot is so chill and the vibe is amazing! Queen HD the DJ had their spot rocking! It’s a lounge super cute you can wear a cute dress, top, and jeans for ladies , men dressed fresh in their fav button downs, jeans and sunglasses. I would say demographic is upscale and classy 30+. Drinks are lit and food is tasty, front desk was amazing, and service was fast and management was A1. Views of the boats, water and Wharf was breathtaking. They have seating outside, high tables around the bar and VIP seating you can reserve. Will definitely come back. Drove from Baltimore to experience this place and I will be back!

THE BETSY is a charming rooftop haunt located in Capitol Hill, offering a cozy and stylish garden-style setting for up to 50 standing patrons. Inspired by Chef Bart Vandaele's favorite chicken, Betsy, this open-air rooftop spot is known for its gin-centric cocktail program and shareable BBQ-inspired small plates. The venue has been used for various events such as mixology classes, birthdays, and bachelorette parties.
What a fun and great discovery. Up the stairs in a back alley is this fun and authentic cocktailbar (and quite extensive bites menu as well. Their selection of gin & tonic is quite impressive. The bar tender Arslan was a gem and made sure everybody in the group what they were expecting. Lovely lovely. I will definitely be back.

We love the Betsy. It is an Eastern Market gem. Best cocktails in DC. Made with love. We tried the gin and tonic and a beautiful cocktail. I can’t remember the name. Oh so delicious. The chicken wings and waffle bites were delightful. Can’t wait to return.

Like others have said, the bartender was extremely rude. I stepped in for brunch on a Saturday early afternoon. From the beginning, the bartender was behaving as if I’m in his way, even though the place was not half-full. The worst part came when I took out my laptop, as I needed to send a quick email. Immediately, he came and told me to take away my laptop, as it’s not allowed in his place?! I said that it would be quick; and he even had the gut to return five mins later and check if I’m done. He said this is a bar, and that I would affect others having fun by taking out a laptop. I understand that it’s a cocktail bar, but it’s also a brunch place in the afternoons. The food and drinks are mediocre at best. If you go, just make sure that you don’t marginally look/act like a serious person.
Jas M — Google review
The drinks here are very nice and the setting is lovely. However, I had issues with the service - I wasn't big on the first cocktail I ordered so I asked which of the bourbon/whiskey cocktails were the most bourbon/whiskey-forward. The server took this opportunity to mansplain the difference between bourbon and whiskey to me rather than answer my question, and also mansplained that what I should have asked for was a "sipping" cocktail rather than a "drinking" cocktail, rather than asking for a "bourbon/whiskey-forward" cocktail. I did not at all appreciate the condescending attitude, and I don't really feel compelled to return ever again.
Carla R — Google review
Drinks are fantastic! Ambiance is fantastic! This place is the best and Arslan is the absolute best!!! you have to walk into the ally to get to the entrance but so unbelievably worth it!!!
Kyleigh M — Google review
I have mixed feelings. It’s got that blind tiger / speakeasy feel with a tightly packed room and dim lights. I felt like I’d officially entered my mob-wife era (complete with my well-timed faux fur coat and chipping nails) The cocktails were great. And it was a nice stop over with friends on a night of casual low-stakes roaming. It’s also close to the Metro so you can drink yourself silly without driving drunk (probably not safe to be too drunk on the Metro either but at least you’d only be hurting yourself not others) I enjoyed the pictures of chicken (is the plural chickens?) all over the place and the chicken humor. The cons: We couldn’t order food as the kitchen had closed already, which I thought was fairly early for a Saturday night (around 10 pm). It felt a wee bit grimy for me. I went at night and might need to go back for a better feel.

Columbia Room is a popular destination in Shaw for cocktail enthusiasts, offering a variety of unique spaces and experiences. The venue features the Punch Garden, Spirits Library, and Tasting Room, each with its own menu and drinks. Known for inventive cocktails, it received the Best American Cocktail Bar award in 2017. The reserve-ahead $85 Tasting Room tickets offer artful drinks and artistic snacks by chef Johnny Spero.
Make a reservation for their 3 or 5 course tasting. You won't regret it. You'll get access to the smaller bar in the back room and the expert bartenders will craft you cocktails you won't forget. I initially went to the Columbia Room when they were hidden inside The Passenger. When they moved, I knew I had to try them again in their new location. It's good to see that nothing has changed. Overall Experience: Awesome Cocktails ever! Food & Drinks ordered: Old Fashioned? Disco Collins, Spray on Tan; Rainbow Nachos Ambiance: 5 stars for the Ambience. So beautiful with all the plants around. Basic furniture with comfortable seating. The breadth of Items: Old fashioned whiskey was one of the best I’ve ever tasted with a orange zesty flavor. Spray on tan was carrot ish flavored vodka . It was beautifully presented. Disco Collins was more of refreshing with gibberish lemon tasty Gin. Vegan Nachos were so tasty with Guacamole on the side. Must try place if you are in DC and wanna have a romantic date with ya partner.

What a unique, exclusive, all-around amazing cocktail bar. Not much on food—was there late and just got some tasty seasoned popcorn. However, atmosphere (has a speakeasy vibe) and cocktails gave this the 5 out of 5. There is typically a wait to get in, but once you’re in, it’s worth it—keeps the place from getting too crowded. Very nice staff also.

Loved this cocktail bar! Outdoor area is amazing, indoor space is very very cozy. There was a bigger group inside so it was pretty loud, but drinks were great and they have a fantastic whiskey and bourbon selection. (Although my father in law was unhappy they didn't have Crown). Old fashioned was solid.

Highly recommend for a special night out. I went with my partner and the staff were very kind and did a great job communicating covid safety expectations. The open garden rooftop is very lovely and tables are spaced out enough so we felt safe. The cocktails were *amazing.* be sure to check their reservation calendar because it books up quick. The garden rooftop is a more secluded experience than the aperol spritz patio, so keep that in mind. The fee you pay for your reservation is taken off your bill at the end 😌

Was really impressed by the food. Got the Lobster Mac & Cheese and it was really good. Plus had a lot of lobster. Flatbread was also high quality. It was fairly busy when we got there so I was worried the food would take long but it didn’t at all. And the views were perfect at sunset.

A subpar sushi, and a decent cheese board but with great views over Bosphorus and very enjoyable cocktails. I also noticed a spelling mistake in their menu, which I can’t say I’ve ever noticed one before, so it was a bit of a surprise. Overall the positives outweigh the negatives, so if you’re looking for a view and good drinks do come, if it’s for food, Istanbul is a great big city with plenty of other options worth considering.

Love this place! Just had a reservation at the rooftop, the views are amazing and service is superb! Thank you Ignacio forr all the efforts and attention. I do have to admit that I did not love the food, however there is a restaurant in the same hotel that never dissapoints!

We were visiting from out of town and were really looking forward to enjoying the beautiful views and ambiance at The Summit. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet our expectations. When we arrived, the lighting was so dim that it was difficult to even read the menu. We ordered the charcuterie plate, but the crackers were stale. While our server kindly brought a replacement, those too were not fresh. For the price and the reputation of the venue, we expected a higher-quality dining experience. We hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.

Ali, the hostess here is absolutely RUDE. She should learn how to be in the customer service industry. We don’t think she is suitable for a hotel bar. Learn how to talk to people, Ali. The bartenders and other staffs were super nice though. We also witnessed that she was treating other staffs in a horrible way. That was so painful to watch.

We had an amazing time. My boyfriend and I came for our anniversary and the customer service was spectacular. Caleb was our waiter and he was attentive, nice, welcoming, and never made us feel like we had to go at a certain time even though we were there late. The host was also extremely nice. Food was amazing. We had the clams and crab. Both tasted amazing and super fresh. We also had some drinks that were perfectly made. Although this was pricier than we are used to paying, considering the service the environment and the view, it was well worth the prices and it wasn’t overly priced considering all factors. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our anniversary!

The venue boasts trendy and comfortable decor both inside and outside, with a limited but enticing share-plate menu featuring options like crispy duck wings and crab fondue. While some reviewers found the brunch menu to be limited, others praised the ambiance, food quality, and excellent service provided by accommodating staff members.
We sat outside. I do feel like they need more heaters in certain areas. Other than that, the food was TASTY & good value for the money. The drinks were good. The view was AMAZING! The staff was very nice.

This place is located on a busy street on top of the AC Hotel but parking is a pain as they don’t have valet or a designated lot so be prepared to walk. The elevator goes to the top floor & you exit into the restaurant with nearly panoramic views of the city. The decor and aesthetic here is TOP NOTCH! Definitely grown & sophisticated vibes & the music is one of the best playlists I’ve heard! The only thing was the food which was a bit of a let down. We had lamb skewers which were barely edible but the short ribs were PHENOMENAL; it was just a really small serving. This is random but the chairs are also kind of low so it might be a bit uncomfortable if you’re taller. Overall, I would recommend!
Tia R — Google review
The views at Smoke & Mirrors are definitely five stars, but unfortunately, the customer service leaves much to be desired. This is the main reason I cannot rate this place five stars solely based on the view. There are many other rooftop restaurants and lounges in the DMV area with far better service. We decided to visit Smoke & Mirrors for the first time last Friday (August 22nd). The weather was perfect, and when we arrived, it wasn't too busy. We were seated quickly, but we waited quite a while before our waiter finally approached us. My boyfriend inquired about the specialty drinks, but the waiter simply told us to check the menu. When I asked which tequilas they offered, he was unaware. We also asked if he could recommend any starters, but he didn’t suggest anything. The interaction felt awkward, as if we were interrupting his break. We quickly began to regret our decision to dine here and wished we had chosen another restaurant. On a positive note, the food was delicious. We started with the crab dip and lamb skewers, both of which were so generous in portion that we ended up taking our entrees to go. The starters were fantastic, and we were glad we chose them. For our entrees, we both ordered the Mexican kale Caesar salad with added seafood and chicken, which we enjoyed later at home. While the food and ambiance were amazing, the poor service is the reason I'm hesitant to return. After dropping off the check and processing our payment, the waiter approached us twice to remind us to sign the receipt, which frustrated both of us. It seemed like he was more interested in ensuring a tip than providing good service. I left a tip of 15%, but I would have given my usual amount if the service had been better. We noticed him doing the same at another table. Smoke & Mirrors has the potential to be one of the hottest spots to enjoy when the weather is nice, but unless we’re served by someone else, we won’t be coming back.

Alan and James are great! These true professionals definitely know how to treat their guests, from hospitality to the impeccable drinks that they take a ton of pride in making. On top of excellent bar service this beautiful, one of a kind establishment serves delicious food in a one of a kind setting overlooking our nations capital! Absolutely beautiful and what an experience! Thank you Alan and James for making my stay memorable! Semper Fidelis!

✨ Smoke & Mirrors: A Rooftop Gem with One Quirk This spot nails the ambiance—elevated views, sleek vibes, and flavors that impress. But here’s the catch: if you arrive for happy hour without a reservation, you’ll likely be seated along the perimeter of the rooftop terrace, where waiter service doesn’t extend. That means trekking indoors to order, which slightly dampens the mood for an otherwise upscale experience. That said, the drinks I tried from the HH menu were absolute standouts: 🍹 Rum for the Sun – Bacardi, RumHaven, lime, pineapple, ube syrup ($12) 🍸 Monroe’s Love Letter – Smoke Lab Vodka, Italicus Liqueur, spiced cranberry, lime ($11) The space is clean, safe, and fun, with a respectful and professional staff. I’d love to see them extend table service to all guests—banana seats included—for a truly seamless rooftop experience.

Came here for the 4th of July woth my family. We were seated outside at one of the high-top tables. We had a great view of the Capitol Building. We shared a cheese and charcuterie board. For dinner, I got the pesto chicken flat bread, which was good. Lots of chicken and sun-dried tomatoes. We also split the chocolate cake and the key lime pie. Both were very good! Throughout our meal, we could see so many fireworks all around us.

Great bar with a great view. Keya is an incredible server! She worked hard and went above and beyond to make a great experience for us. Shoutout to bartender Deb who makes the BEST smoked drink. It was more than a drink…it was an experience.

We expected a hum-drum hotel restaurant experience but were delighted with the food and service. It was also a goid value. We shared the deviled eggs appetizer, which was delicious. The entrees of grilled salmon and a Cobb salad with chicken were well-prepared. Our server Richard was attentive and made us feel welcome.

Located on the 8th floor of the Graham Hotel in Georgetown, The Rooftop at the Graham offers a modern open-air lounge and bar with stunning panoramic views of iconic landmarks like the Washington Monument and Kennedy Center. This seasonal rooftop deck spans 3,000 square feet, providing a 360-degree view of Georgetown and Arlington skyline. Guests can enjoy specialty cocktails while relaxing to lounge beats and witnessing breathtaking sunsets.
Unfortunately, we arrived at the bar a bit too late to fully enjoy the evening atmosphere. Still, it was cozy and calm, with attentive waitstaff and a thoughtful bartender who literally ran after us to the elevator to let us know we had forgotten a bag on the couch near our table. The view of the city at night from the 8th floor was stunning. The music was at a perfect volume.....not intrusive, just right for relaxing. The place was quite busy, and the crowd was very mixed: from young people in their 20s to couples well over 50.

We visited this bar twice. Our first visit was in late November 2024, and the cocktails were very good. (We had a Summer, Evening, and Upper, a Rooftop Express, and a Moscow Mule; all of them were solid.) We returned on a Monday about ten days ago, and the cocktails were, well, simply atrocious. I opened with one of the cocktails we had enjoyed the first time, a Rooftop Express; I can't think of another way to descibe its flavor but to say that it tasted like saccharine cough medicine. My spouse opened with a leblon caipirinha, as he had enjoyed a very good one at another bar the previous evening. The version at the Graham rooftop was little more than overly sweet juice. I just gave up after one cocktail, but my spouse ordered a second one, the Signature Margarita, in hopes that our experiences thus far had been merely a fluke. Never had we tried a margarita that tasted like this; not only did it not taste like anything remotely close to a margarita, but it did not taste good at all. If you botch a cocktail such as a Margarita, then I'm afraid you're all but hopeless. To our chagrin, we won't come back again. The views are nice, but the cocktails should be at least adequate. (The cocktails are not precisely inexpensive, and given that they automatically charge a 22% surplus, there is no way to even signal, via the tip, how unpleasant the experience was.)

The views are gorgeous, the crowd felt fun and welcoming, and the whole place just had that energy that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Some cocktails hit the mark, but a few felt like they needed a little more love and attention. With a space this amazing, I expected the drinks to shine just as bright. Still, I'd absolutely come back. it's one of those spots that makes you feel good just being there.

Great rooftop spot in Georgetown with beautiful views over the city. The drinks are solid and the atmosphere is fun but still laid-back enough to relax. Perfect place to bring friends, catch the sunset, or just enjoy cocktails with a view. It can get busy, so coming a little early is a good idea. Solid covered rooftops in DC.

Beautiful skyline view. Comfy couch and hightop table seating. Nice decor. Quick service. Ok cocktails. Kinda pricey for what we got. Disappointing hummus. Carrots were not super fresh. Pita was definitely old. They toasted them to make them seem fresh. They were crunchy and not fresh.

The food was great, but it seems you’re paying more for the view itself. So if a good ambiance is your thing, great spot!

Went out with a friend to The Rooftop at the Graham and honestly, it was such a vibe. The view of the city at night is stunning. the kind of place where you just want to sit back and take it all in. The cocktails were delicious, way better than the usual. I had a cucumber gin drink that was super refreshing, and my friend’s bourbon with orange peel was smooth and bold. Only wish I had better pics because this spot deserves to be shown off. Can’t wait to come back!

Quick service and really great cocktails - although I don’t often drink so don’t have much experience to compare. I enjoyed the food too but there are only a few choices. Just one bathroom which seems lame given the number of tables. Had to wait awhile to use it. Happy to say I’ve been here overall. Thank you.

Nestled in the vibrant Union Market District, O-Ku is a chic sushi haven that brings a taste of Charleston to Washington, D.C. This modern eatery features an impressive menu centered around Japanese robata-style dishes and exquisite sushi, all set against a backdrop of sleek decor and stunning rooftop views extending to the Capitol.
Absolutely incredible sushi experience at O-Ku! The atmosphere is stunning — modern, elegant, and inviting. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The sushi was fresh and creative, clearly crafted with care. Huge shout-out to our server Lark, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made our night even better with thoughtful recommendations. This place is a must-visit in DC — perfect for a special night out or just treating yourself to top-tier sushi and service. Can’t wait to come back!

If you blink, you may pass this luscious restaurant up!! It is a complete vibe inside and out! Rooftop dining was closed when we went, but we look forward to coming back and sitting up there. Servers are all friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. The menu has plenty of options and choices. We tried a lot of rolls. Our favorite was the fresh yellowtail. Mouthwatering!!! Eel roll was amazing. Snow crab, blue crab, even tried the short rib! Small dishes to share and make your mouth go boom!! The presentation is top notch! The drinks we tried were different and all went down smoothly.

We loved this place!!!! Came here on a whim and got seated at the bar right away at 7pm on a Wednesday. Our server, Zach, was so good to let us know that we had 3 minutes to order from the HH menu. Our four rolls all tasted really delicious, though we’d probably save the harvest roll for sweet green 😅 if you’re a sushi connoisseur, we’d say the rice was a tad undercooked, but we still loved all the flavors. Non-alcoholic drinks were definitely on the sweet side, but again, flavors were fantastic. Get the sata andagi for dessert. Pillowy-soft and melt in your mouth and the dipping sauce is amazing! 100/10

I had the pleasure of eating at O-ku this week. I was able to sit at the sushi chef table and get recommendations from the staff. They have a great happy hour Monday-Thursday 5-7. I ordered the SALMON USUZUKURI, rock shrimp ( HH) , snow king (HH) , and DROP IT LIKE IT’S HOTATE!. All were delicious, but I definitely recommend the SALMON USUZUKURI. This was graciously recommended by one of the sushi chef trainers from Raleigh, North Carolina and it was a hit! Tender salmon with pops of the crunchy black salt -Amazing! I can see why it’s so popular. The restaurant had great service and ambience as well. Thank you for a lovely experience O-KU. I will be back

O-Ku is definitely my favorite place for HH and good sushi! I love the firecracker sushi roll and honestly all the other rolls I’ve tried have always been super delicious! Definitely a must try!
Sandra S — Google review
O-Ku was overall great! The seared tuna app and scallop temaki hand roll were amazing. My husband ordered the yakisoba noodles which I think was the star of the evening! The pork belly in the noodles was truly so absolutely delicious. The two rolls were good (Mt Fuji and I can’t remember the other one), but they felt underwhelming for the price point. One was essentially a California roll with a bit of seared salmon on top for $20, just felt like a mismatch. I wish I had done the chefs nigiri or more hand rolls. The only other issue was the sushi came out like 15 minutes before my husbands food so timing wise, it was a little awkward - you don’t want to be eating while someone is waiting or be completely finished before the other person gets the food. It’s not a huge deal, I just waited, but most places are able to time when to send all the food out at once.

Had a great time at O-Ku. As soon as you enter the atmosphere is immediately impressive. Dimly lit late night date vibes. Very moody, with great music. The drinks were great and the food was also good. Service was inconsistent, but polite. Food took a while, but the drinks were enough to forget about it. All in all, a good time. We'll be back for sure!

Players Club is a unique venue that offers both a retro game-filled basement bar and a 70s sports-themed rooftop called Skybox. The basement features old-school arcade games, pool tables, and foosball, while the rooftop provides stunning views of Logan Circle and Thomas Circle. The rooftop bar serves playful cocktails and a great selection of crafted brews.
Just a block from the Washington Place hotel, the bar was a fun way to end the night. Drink prices were good and the pinball was great. Other entertainment was pool, slot machines, and I never made it upstairs to the rooftop bar. Enjoyed the very relaxed atmosphere and John Wick pinball.
Bill D — Google review
I’ve been to countless venues in D.C., but my recent experience at The Players Club was by far the worst. My coworkers and I were in town for a work conference and decided to check out the rooftop. While using the elevator, I pressed the “close door” button (as most people do) to head upstairs. Out of nowhere, the manager — a man with dreadlocks — aggressively intervened, ordered my coworker and me out of the building, and refused to explain why. No warning, no conversation, no “Hey, that’s against our policy” — just an immediate, humiliating ejection in front of colleagues. We were left standing outside confused, embarrassed, and frankly shocked at the complete lack of professionalism or basic courtesy. If this is how management treats paying customers — especially those visiting from out of town — I would strongly urge others to skip this spot. Plenty of D.C. venues actually value hospitality and understand how to speak to guests with respect. The Players Club clearly isn’t one of them.

Good bar would just recommend avoiding on Fridays and Saturday’s if you’re over the age of 26 and can’t stand crowds because this place gets covered wall to wall. My boyfriend and I like to come here on the random weeknight and play pool and it’s pretty chill. I like that it looks like someone’s divorced dad’s basement.

A great midwest small college town bar vibe. Super fun bar with lots of pool tables and games! There are a lot of small sitting areas that give this place a very intimate vibe. Also a cute photo booth!

This place is insane! It's a genuine playground for grown ups. It feels like a bar right out of Jackie Brown. Its a perfect mix of the cool, sleek, vibes of the early 70s and mixed it with just enough modern flare. Throw in some excellent arcade games and just enough novelty humor and you got yourself a great date night! If they ever want to franchise then Charlottesville VA would love to see them come our way! Great job everyone. Staff was super nice and the whole place was spotless.

What an amazing fun & cool hangout! Downstairs you have the large open space for food, drinks & games. Head up the elevator and it quickly becomes a chill rooftop bar with great ambience & views. The line to get upstairs is a bit of an annoyance but if you plan on waiting…grab a drink. It could move quick or feel like you’re staring at molasses. They do not let you bring drinks upstairs or vise versa. Order your drink, sip and wait & enjoy the place! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to play any games while visiting but I do plan on returning & getting my mini game fill in. The crowd on a Saturday night is busy! Music & vibe was great overall.

Highly recommend this 70s themed bar for a post work drinks or a late night date. The vibes were immaculate and everyone was there to socialize and enjoy the atmosphere. The drink prices are also extremely reasonable and the staff was incredibly nice. Will definitely be back to show off this hidden gem.

The happy hour on weekdays features discounted drinks and $20 specials on Veuve Clicquot, attracting a diverse crowd including office workers and stylish patrons looking to unwind.
Ordered the chicken skewers—packed with flavor and perfectly grilled! The salmon risotto was cooked just right, though a bit on the salty side. Luckily, the crisp salad balanced everything out nicely. The shrimp? Massive and super fresh! 🍤 Everything came together beautifully—definitely a dish worth coming back for!

Ciel Social Club offers great rooftop views and a lively atmosphere. The place was very busy, but the great music, energetic vibe, and excellent cocktail selection made it worth the visit. The Valentine’s Day decorations were beautifully done, adding a festive touch to the ambiance. However, seating can be difficult during peak hours, so be prepared for a wait if you go at a busy time. Overall, a fantastic spot for cocktails, music, and rooftop vibes—highly recommend!

Party of two with a reservation on a Tuesday, July 15th. From the moment I walked in the AC Hotel to the elevator to Ciel Rooftop, all was a great experience! Josh check us in and located available seating at the bar for us since we didn't want to sit outside. Brittney was our dedicated bartender, and she did not disappoint! She was attentive, professional and the drinks were amazing each time. During the second show Josh made sure we were seated for our reservation. Josh's professionalism and ability to connect with the guest's in a busy environment is unmatched!!!! If wings are your thing try it out. We tasted several small plates and didn't get picks because we couldn't stop eating after the first bite! A GOOD TIME WAS HAD AND LIVE MUSIC WAS SPOT ON!

Everything about this place is amazing. I came for Tuesday night Jazz night and was delighted to hear covers from Bobby Caldwell to Gnarls Barkley and more. The vibes were absolutely immaculate. In terms of drinks and food, very impressed. Ciel has a French theme going on right now and we ordered the Claire de Lune and La Passion cocktails and they were sweet, smooth, and still packed a punch. For food, we ordered the steak tartines, airplane chicken, rainbow beetroot salad, and mini fish tacos. Each dish was more delicious than the last. Will definitely return, especially on Tuesdays, to hear more jazz and enjoy their lovely atmosphere.

We were looking for a place with a view and good music which will be “busy” earlier in the night , and it was packed by the time we got there at 8:30pm. Liked the vibe and the crowd. Can’t say anything about food we only ordered cocktails, and they were fine

We drove from Frederick for a fun date night out. When we went up top we were greeted and seated with a food and beverage menu. After we were seated an employee approached us and said they switched to bar ordering only, and there was no ordering any food. It’s a Sunday at 3pm so we found this very bizarre. We paid $30 for parking though, so we decided to stay and attempt to order a drink. When my husband went over to the bar, the bartenders were arguing back and fourth about who should take his order. As if it was a chore. Mind you the entire bar was empty… eventually we ordered and I asked for a margarita. The bartender said she couldn’t make that because they don’t have any syrups. So we gave up and left. Unable to order a basic drink and food. We were very disappointed and will not be back. It was a complete waste of our time, we were very uncomfortable, and it had a catty atmosphere. We did speak to management and they did not care or try to remedy the situation. I just wanted to share my experience so no one else wastes their time.

This bar closed early without warning one night and a security guard forced all patrons to leave. Our party had just purchased a nice bottle of champagne, and at no point were we told that the bar would be closing hours before the advertised time. We did not have enough time to finish the bottle that we ordered, and were not permitted to take home our expensive purchase. For a bar that purports to provide a relatively "upscale" experience, I felt that were were treated quite poorly and taken advantage of.

Sophie, the dedicated manager, was busy cleaning glasses and restocking shelves for the bartender, ensuring everything was ready for a seamless customer experience. However, when I asked her name for this review, she seemed to treat me as an inconvenience. In contrast, Marlon, an exceptional bartender, was taking orders from three different customers while skillfully mixing drinks. His remarkable ability to keep the bar lively and joyful was truly inspiring! I would give this place a ten out of ten and will definitely visit again! The food I saw looked amazing—the pork belly was impressive, and the birria tacos seemed delicious!

Great views from the rooftop but pricey, even during happy hour, with slow service. Lucha Rosa, the Latin-themed bar atop the Moxy, offers an explosion of pink and some decent drinks. However, the happy hour still felt expensive and didn’t quite live up to its name. At this point, it seems you’re mostly paying for the view. The service started off well but became painfully slow and a bit impersonal as the evening went on. While the atmosphere is great, the premium for the view just isn’t worth it.

This place was AWESOME! Definitely a must for rooftop bar lovers (like me!!)!!! The views alone are incredible, but they’ve also done an amazing job with the decor! It’s so bright and happy!! It gives bougie Oaxaca vibes! You’ll find lucha libre art and bright colorful floral pillows and the flower ceiling… definitely a lot of photo ops! Food was unique…not a ton of options, but I liked the shrimp ceviche (although I would have preferred it more plain haha). Service was ok, but overall great experience!

Let me start by saying you should ask for the automatic gratuity to be removed if your service and food didn’t match the charges being imposed. It’s my understanding that mandatory gratuity May or may not go to the server. I get people don’t tip but auto gratuity on a table of 2 with mid food isn’t cool. This explains the managers responses in other reviews and lack of action (clearly) in properly training the staff or making sure the restaurants food is on point, but I digress. Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get into the food Food I ordered a Caesar salad and shrimp tacos. The salad had a lot of browning lettuce in it, of which I told the waitress. Her response, I’ll make the kitchen aware of this. How about ask them to open another pack of that Costco salad and make me another for my $12. Great Customer service costs you nothing and will be reflected in your tip. But with this auto gratuity stunt they’re pulling I can see why she didn’t offer that. I picked most of it out and left it on a napkin that I then placed back on my salad plate. Presentation of the food was nice but don’t be fooled. My shrimp were definitely cooked yesterday or earlier that day (and I mean way earlier). We got there at the time they opened, around 2p. No reason why my tacos were COLD, my corn tortilla was cold and CHEWY, and my shrimp were dry. I took a pic. The person with me had chicken tacos and said her corn tortillas were dry and chewy. Neither of us wanted to say anything to each other and agreed once brought up. Informed the waitress. Her response, I’ll let the kitchen know. No, how about you either Comp one of these $14, 2 tacos entrees or bring a free dessert? HOW ARE THEY TRAINING STAFF HERE??!!! No blame to the waitress, she is only doing what she either has been trained or knows. Food was a mess, but the guacamole was good. Hold this pomegranate seeds, super unnecessary. You don’t have to dress it up bc of the price, we know what we’re spending isn’t worth the portion, friend. ASTHETICS The restaurant itself is at the top of the Moxy with great views and very cute. Definitely a spot for IG pics only. I would only recommend drinks here (and that’s a reach). The food is overpriced. Small portions and extremely mid, if that. SERVICE Read all the other 1-2 star reviews. Folks aren’t lying and I’ll leave it at that. The part that’s insane to me is management is reading these and STILL not making sure their staff is trained. Replace anyone who isn’t falling in line bc one thing I can tell you for certain, is DC isn’t Atlanta. We don’t GAF how cute your spot is. We’ll put you out of business ASAP if customer service isn’t right and especially if food isn’t right. BOTH is a problem at this place and they just opened this summer. They try to throw a little DJ in the spot and you better thank him a million times over bc he/she is the ONLY reason folks still coming. Check the reviews, I don’t have to lie. Give that man a raise while you’re still in that location. Final words. Step it up immediately. As much as I hate to say this, right now you’re operating akin to garbage wrapped in a Gucci belt. You can do MUCH better. Grab drinks here (if that, I’d recommend only pictures) , hold the food, head to Eaton’s rooftop up the street which will definitely be worth your time and money. Signed, a frustrated customer who doesn’t like to waste his/her hard earned money.

We recently stayed at the Moxy Hotel and decided to check out their rooftop spot. At first, things looked promising — the hostess was friendly and welcoming, even though the place was clearly busy. We appreciated being offered a table near the front entrance. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the vibe. Our waitress gave off a very unapproachable attitude — no smile, no warmth, just going through the motions. It honestly felt like she didn’t want to be there at all. A little friendliness goes a long way, especially in hospitality. If you’re that unhappy with your job, maybe it’s time to consider a change. The rooftop itself is a cool space, but the overall experience was dragged down by the lack of energy and care from our server. Disappointing, considering how great everything else at Moxy has been.

Nellie's Sports Bar, located at the corner of 9th & U Street, NW, has become the most popular gay bar in D.C. since its opening in 2007. Despite being billed as a sports bar, it offers much more than just games on TV. The rooftop bar is packed during DJ nights and drag events like bingo brunches and poker nights.
My first time here and I can truly say that it was an experience! Let me start with the service - excellent!!!! The performers - I fell in deep like I just met my future best friends!!!! Now the topping on the cake the food!!! Can I just say AMAZING!!! It was so good I wish I could have gotten a tray to bring some home!!! Parking is an issue so I got a ride there and ubered home due to limited street parking. But let me tell you I will be back for my birthday!!!!

Great music, staff, and drag brunch! We came on a Saturday night and had so much fun, we just had to return the next day to check out their drag brunch…and we are so happy we did! The queens not only served face, body, and looks - they were servers at the brunch! They were SO fun and did a phenomenal job taking care of everyone, keeping the drinks coming, the food line moving, and keeping us laughing. The food was delicious! When I read about it the night before, I thought it sounded good, but you never know…I know now - YUM! There was great variety, so I think there’s something for everyone. At the show, the queens (and a prince) gave great, fun, and engaging performances. They had the crowd rolling with laughter at some parts. We had an awesome time, and will definitely come back next time we’re in DC. We highly recommend. Oh, and when we went on a tour of the US Capitol, we told one of the staff we went to Nellie’s for drag brunch, and they said they love Nellie’s and the drag shows - YASSSSSSS!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Christian is THAT bartender! The energy was electric, the vibe was right, and the drink Christian made? Top-tier. Perfect balance, strong but smooth, and served up with a great attitude. You can tell he knows what he’s doing behind the bar. Definitely coming back—ask for Christian if you want a drink done right! 🍹🔥 #NelliesNights #BartenderGoals

I just want to shout out Christian at Nellie’s — hands down one of the best bartenders in the city. Every time I come in, he brings great energy, remembers names and drink preferences, and keeps the vibe friendly and fun. Even when the bar is packed, Christian keeps things moving with professionalism and a smile. It’s rare to find someone who can manage a busy crowd while still making every guest feel welcome. Whether you’re a regular or just stopping by, Christian makes you feel like part of the Nellie’s family. Definitely one of the reasons I keep coming back!

Went to Nellie’s for the first time for brunch and they did not disappoint. First, my friends and I were treated with the best hospitality from the time we entered until we left. Secondly, hats off to the chef, the food was absolutely positively amazing and the Nellie’s Margarita so good. The entertainment was electrifying fun and engaging. I do recommend going there.

We went to Nellie’s for a birthday celebration and the Drag Brunch and let me tell you it was an amazing time. The ladies looked stunning and we had a male performer and he was great as well. We had shots, brunch and the girls were giving everything that needed to be gave. I will be returning, the vibe was fun and everyone had a great time.

The Ellipse Rooftop Bar is a chic and inviting bar located just a few blocks from the White House. The rooftop has panoramic views over the capital, as well as plush lounge seating and fire pits. The menu includes classic rooftop drinks as well as local crafts, fine wine, and tasty bar bites.
Very nice, my hubby had 2 cocktails love them both, I'm a wine person 🥂 they have good choices. Food (appetizers)amazing, had Lamb meatballs, Crab cakes and their Parmesan garlic French fries. The atmosphere was so nice. However they are missing a few tables for the couches 🤔 Forgot to ask for their so good music playlists, so if possible can someone share from 8/1/2024 😉
Kim O — Google review
Walking in the rooftop was messy a lot Of trash on the floor, the bar is small and basic you pretty much just get an ok view . You can’t see the white House from the rooftop . There’s no food only bar snacks according to the weird guy with glasses who attended us, the lady couldn’t even make an old fashioned the right way so I left most of it there . As I was ordering I also noticed the lady washing their dishes in an old school sink as if it was the 80s or something I mean really? Wouldn’t come back here if they payed me to and I’m a Hyatt traveler . Not to mention they add 20% automatic gratuity on top of everything .
Helen L — Google review
The bar had an occasional smell pass through that seemed to smell like sewer gasses. They also automatically include 20% gratuity on the check, but then the signature sheet has no indication of the automatic gratuity and asks you to add a gratuity. I should note that the signature sheet asks for a gratuity and not something like additional gratuity that is more common in places with similar practices.

Come for the drinks, and stay for the VIEW! Our bartender was very polite and made every drink we ordered from memory, not pre-mixed junk. I highly recommend this location even if you're not staying in their hotel. The view is phenomenal.
Jeffrey H — Google review
the bartender was absolutely terrible. we waited over 20 minutes for two drinks (not busy at the time) because the bartender decided to have a conversation rather than make drinks. additionally she proceeded to have a completely inappropriate conversation with a customer referring to white people as “colonizers” and stated “the world would be better without white people.” say what you want about politics but this is absolutely unacceptable and inappropriate words to say as a bartender to your own customers. on top of our drinks taking 20 minutes and the most insensitive comments from the bartender, they charged an automatic 20% tip. drinks were not even good. i spent $40 on 2 drinks with a tip where it was not even remotely deserved. i was upset, disappointed, and felt robbed leaving here. go to literally any other rooftop bar in the city besides this one.
Toni M — Google review
This rooftop bar inside of the Hyatt is simple. It's not anything spectacular but it's a great option if you're in the hotel. My husband and I only ordered drinks here, not food. The hours are very limited so it is not able to be accessed much. It was closed 2/3 days we were in town.
Tiff — Google review
The good - This is a nice place to enjoy time with a friend...great views. Food offerings were on par for a roof top bar. The "beef" - The bar area is small...enough for hotel guests to enjoy and groups of two. The bar size and the bar service are not satisfactory for handling a group or a table with more than 3. Do not go expecting table service (none). You must go to the small bar to order everything...paying for a table or a round of drinks was a challenge. Paying for a $40 shot of whiskey served in plastic glassware (?)...I did enjoy my table guests, the view and the weather. I expected better service...
Morris J — Google review
So, this is a bit hypocritical, but even though this place is realistically 4 stars, it's 5 in my heart because it's quiet, the drinks are adequate, the bartenders are very sweet, it's not pretentious, and the couch that faces the moon is SO comfy. If you can get the couch to yourself, get a drank, get a little tipsy, and bring a good book or lay down so you can stare at the moon for a bit.

Perched on the 14th floor of the chic Pendry Hotel, Moonraker offers stunning waterfront views and a stylish ambiance. The rooftop bar boasts a striking round bar and a cozy fireplace, creating an opulent setting for enjoying sushi and Japanese whisky cocktails. Guests can savor fizzy Japanese highballs and delectable dishes like spicy tuna crispy rice while taking in the modern decor.
From the moment I walked in, this place exuded luxury. The atmosphere was clean, fresh, and calming, enhanced by soothing music that set a relaxing tone. The view was a definite highlight, offering stunning sights of the city and the river below. The food was enjoyable, though the menu had many unfamiliar dishes. I went with a safe choice—the chicken fried rice and dumplings—which were delicious but could’ve used a bit more seasoning. Perhaps they aim for a health-conscious approach. Overall, it’s an excellent spot for a quiet, upscale dining experience.

Pictures can’t really describe the VIEW of this luxurious and elegant restaurant! If you have the time to go, please experience it for yourself! The food was absolutely delicious! From appetizers to the actual dinner was incredibly outstanding! I had a spectacular Mother’s Day! You could experience a beautiful sunset in Washington DC from the balcony!🤗😊 I highly recommend this restaurant! It is located in the Pandry Hotel at the Wharf in DC! Because it was Mother’s Day, it did take longer to get our tables, but the first time I had gone, it was not that way! So they definitely get a pass for the wait! The food was worth it! I had dined here during the winter and it was cold so,I didn’t experience, sitting outside. This time around, I wanted to sit outside, view the city and take pictures!😂😂❤️

Honestly food was great. Only downside was we waited about 45 min for our table when we had a reservation. We did run about 10 min late so I understand if possibly our table was given away or something like that but by the way it sounded it seemed like they were running behind in general with tables. We were not prepared for how packed it was even though it was a Saturday night, since when we booked there were many openings even though it was same day. But I only say this because I think the best recommendation to do while waiting is to go to the second bar especially there on a busy day if you want to get a drink while you wait. Anyways I thought the food was great. We ordered the shishito peppers, Ora kind tartare, misoyaki cod, hamachi puffs, Wall Street roll, and the Ora salmon crispy rice. We both said our favorites were the hamachi puffs (yaki puffs) by far, I have no complaints they were honestly one of the best things I’ve had in dc in the 2 years I’ve lived here. So so good. And the misoyaki cod was also great. But no bad bites everything was great. I think the views also get a 10/10 and fortunately we spent the time we waited during the sunset so we enjoyed taking our pictures while we waited with great views. Would 100% come back

Stopped in on a recommendation from people in the area. Glad we took them up on it. Great views, people and drinks. The Muziki Matcha was very good. Not my typical drink (wife ordered it) but is would order it for myself. Very good. The staff were great. Bartender knew what he was doing. The sun as beaming but it was worth the views and drinks on an October afternoon. Worth a trip and the experience.
David — Google review
Great view! Definitely one of the best in the city! Great drinks and the food is pretty good but you are probably going to still be hungry afterwards lol. Definitely a bit pricey. You are also going to spend a little dough here. Is it worth it? That’s debatable but it’s at least worth checking out once. I have been here several times but kinda over it. If nothing else grab a drink and enjoy the nice view. If the sun is out bring some sunscreen.
Giovanni M — Google review
Beautiful atmosphere. Great drinks. Unfortunately, we did not get to try any food for dinner because the service was nonexistent. We were only served drinks once we flagged down the manager. After that experience we decided to go somewhere else for dinner. The menu is pretty small, so it doesn’t take long to decide on what you want. We gave the restaurant another try for breakfast in the morning. The food was delicious. The service was much better. I got the Turkish eggs, and he got the crab Benedict. If you’re going to visit on a busy night, be prepared to wait.

This is really cool and dope place with an incredible view of the river that you just can’t beat. The atmosphere is beautiful and stylish with a really nice bar and plenty of space around the bar to relax located on the top level of the Pendry. It's a real vibey spot and great for all occasions. I came here for drinks with friends and was really happy with our choice. I had the old fashioned and it was excellent - made just right. I really appreciate a place that knows how to make a proper cocktail and Moonraker definitely delivered. Our bartender was great and made sure we had what we needed and also did a great job with making our cocktails. While I only stuck to drinks this time, the menu looked great and I’ll definitely be back to try some of their food along with more cocktails. Between the unbeatable views, great drinks, and overall vibe, I can easily see this becoming one of my go-to spots for days or nights out with friends. I'll be back!!

Moonraker at The Wharf offers one of the best views in DC, with a sleek rooftop setting perfect for sunset drinks. It’s definitely on the pricier side — two espresso martinis and the edamame cake came to around $70 — but the atmosphere, service, and quality made it worth it. A great spot for a special night out or to unwind after work.

Ivy and Coney is a sports bar located in Shaw that caters to Chicago and Detroit expats. Unlike other spots on the list, it doesn't boast Italian-born chefs or exotic pizza recipes. The highlight of Ivy and Coney's menu is its hometown-style hot dogs served with sport peppers or Lafayette-style chili. It's a no-frills bar offering quality cheap beer and iconic dishes like Detroit-style pizza, classic Chicago-style Italian beef sandwiches, and loaded Chicago dogs.
Coney dogs slap, prices are great, amazing vibes, great place to catch a game - especially Bears or Lions!

Great Shaw dive bar. Some of the best Chicago style dogs, cheeseburgers, and curly fries in the city! Get in above the Old Style sign on 7th. Good place to watch sports and hang out low key.

Place was packed for the baseball playoffs but we found a place to wait for takeout. The burger was 10/10 awesome! I wish I would have e ordered another one just for myself. The hotdog was good and the curly fries with cheese sauce was on point. Awesome atmosphere and great food. I want to try the pizza next time.

Good dive bar. It’s Detroit themed and even though I’m an eagles fan and from Pennsylvania I can still respect the theme. I always just kind of find myself at this bar when I’m not sure where else to go. They have the classic beer and shot combos, lots of TVs and a nice kind of outdoorish deck space

Gotta admit that I come here mostly for the pizza! This is a wonderful spot in Shaw and most people I know have never even heard of it before. That’s a pity, because it’s a really great place! I cannot say enough great things about this rooftop bar! The views are incredible, the food is so delicious (seafood tower is a MUST), and the staff is very friendly/accommodating. Even with COVID restrictions, everyone had a great time! I got married over the weekend and two nights in a row my guests spent time at this bar. Jared was helping us - he is awesome, outgoing, and got everyone what they wanted, at the drop of a hat. I understand that dealing with a large group that is celebrating isn't easy but we had a great time because the staff helping us was so helpful and understanding. I DEFINITELY recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to hold a get together(we had 20-30 people). This is a place that I will come when I have friends in town, and even just for a date night. Ask for Jared to help you!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

I was really excited to finally go to the rooftop of the Thompson Hotel in DC as I love Thompson hotels. In sum, this is the new 12 stories of DC. The attempt of NYC & “prices” without any of the service, glam or vibe. Our server disappeared and we literally had to flag down other workers over to our table to get 1 drink over a period of 1.5 hrs. On our way out, our “big table of two” mentioned our frustration to the manager. She apologized and insisted we wait a second so she can get her card. After waiting for 5+ minutes near the elevator and being ask repeatedly by staff if we we knew how to press an elevator button, we finally left. I really wanted to find a new classy rooftop place in my new neighborhood and recommend to others. It’s just sad that we left feeling disregarded and just not worth the price tag.

Tiki TNT & Potomac Distilling Company is a spacious tavern with an industrial-meets-tiki theme, offering a variety of rum drinks and Hawaiian-style cuisine. The venue features beachy bites and beverages that evoke the atmosphere of Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Florida. Guests can enjoy signature dishes like Tiki Tots and Sweet and Tangy Tiki wings while sipping on Thrashers Rum and cocktails crafted by barman-turned-distiller Todd Thrasher.
Came here for a networking event and love everything about it! The food, the Hawaiian decor. It made me want to go back to Hawaii!!!

Tiki themed bar right on the water in DC! Also the site of thrashers rum distillery! Nice happy hour and a good selection of bar snacks! Tiki drinks seem to favor strong rum! Not sure if the bartenders were Heavy handed or if the drinks aren't balanced. Tried the trashers rum flight. White would be a decent mixer. Spiced would go good in a fall holiday drink. The green spiced was the best, smooth light spice highlighting the rum. The coconut was good, would mix well in a drink... A bit on the strong side. Kauila pork nachos were good. .. worth the trip to check it out if you are in DC

Service: We stumbled on Tiki TNT while in the area looking for a happy hour spot and decided to give it a try. We were quickly seated and attended to, which was a great start. The staff was friendly and efficient, and our food and drinks came out in no time. Taste: We ordered the chicken tacos, coconut shrimp, and tater tots, all came out hot and fresh. The flavors came together really well, especially the coconut shrimp which had the perfect crunch and sweetness. The cocktails were also well-balanced and refreshing. Ambiance: The vibe here is exactly what you’d want for a casual happy hour, laid-back, tropical, and with a beautiful view of the water. Great for small or large groups looking to unwind. Overall Review: Tiki TNT was a pleasant surprise! Great service, solid food, and an even better atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area, and I’ll for sure be back

Had an excellent experience here. Cocktail prices $16 each which is towards the cheaper end for DC, and you get a lot liquor for your dollar. Al the bartender was amazing. Rum flight was outstanding. Highly recommended! If you go to the Warf, go see Al and experience their distilled on site rum!

As a tiki bar enthusiast, Tiki TNT was a nice little joint but primarily a tourist trap, but it located on the Potomac with a great view. Well-appointed with all of the traditional Tiki fair, a great picture of Don the Beachcomber in the kitchen. I found the bar staff to be a little bit lacking in friendliness and information when I try to chat them up about Tiki cocktails. Of course I ordered the Mai Tai first and they made it incorrectly. When I asked the bartender about it he wasn't sure, when I continue to talk to him turned out he wasn't a big fan of rum anyways, I asked him for a second drink recommendation, and he recommended their specialty the TNT problem forgetter which was a mixture of bourbon and spiced rum and falernum and other Tiki ingredients, and I have to say this was a much better drink than their Mai Tai. Bean is this is somewhat of a tourist bar, located close to the white house, I'm sure that the setting is much more party friendly in the evening when it gets crowded

Came across this place while in town for a concert and so glad we did. Such an amazing experience from start to finish. My friend and I did the rum tasting and Justin knows his stuff!!! We really enjoyed learning about the brand and the rum is AMAZING. Afterwards we went upstairs to the bar and had the Blue Hawaiian drink. Our server, Rob, was the best!!! He took great care of us and was very attentive. We will definitely be returning based off the customer service and quality product.

Baby Shank is a trendy foodie spot with an exciting atmosphere and great service. The restaurant offers beautifully crafted cocktails and delicious dishes like branzino and steak. The stunning interior, including a cozy rooftop area, makes it perfect for various occasions, from casual brunches to date nights. With multiple dining spaces, it's a popular location that guarantees a memorable experience with excellent service and good food.
I decided to drop by Baby Shank in the DuPont area on one of my solo nights out to have a couple cocktails at the bar. I’ve been there for their roof top brunch a couple of years ago but let me tell you…I had so much fun with the staff and management team that night. The service was great but the vibes of the bar team, host and manager was even better. Here are a couple of tasty and aesthetically pleasing cocktails Taylor made for me that night. What a blast!!!! Cheers….🤩

I had an incredible experience at this cozy, family-owned French restaurant in DC! From the moment I walked in, the charming and beautifully designed interior transported me straight to France. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed evening out. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was prepared with care and authenticity. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced. The drinks were really good, complementing the meal beautifully. Beyond the food and décor, the overall vibe is what truly makes this place special. The food was delicious. The lamb rack cooked to perfection and the risotto very creamy. I had a blackberry julep and an espresso martini and both had the perfect mix of alcohol. The bartender was also very knowledgeable and attentive.

Experience: The tables on the upper level that seats two people were very, very small. There is one long couch on a wall where mini tables are placed to fit as many as possible in that area. It was so small that I put my bag between the person next to me, and there was no space left. Additionally, we ordered our appetizers and main course meal, but when it came, we barely had space for the plates. This place needs bigger tables. Additionally, when we ordered the NYE’s meal online, the menu contained several items, plus a champagne glass was included in the price. When we arrived, the menu was cut down in half, and they no longer offered champagne as advertised. I asked the waiter, and he said he had to “check with the manager” but never got back to us. I was already frustrated with the sitting situation and did not want to extend my stay. I felt ripped off for the lack of transparency. They advertised a great menu and a nice deal, but they came short when it was time to deliver it. Food: The food was good, nothing special. You can see it in my photos. We had lamb and beef as the main course. Service: The place was beautiful, and the service was good. The waiter checked on us to ensure we did not need anything. He was polite and attentive. Overall, we paid $250 for a dinner for two, and we did not receive what we expected as advertised from Baby Shank. Would I recommend it to my friends?...... No. For the lack of transparency and tiny tables(for two)

I was so excited to eat here. But was highly disappointed. I had a 6pm reservation, and i received my entree two hours later. The restaurant was very unorganized and regardless of what other tables were getting, i can’t understand how ppl who sat down way after me, received their food , ate and paid. While i still waited for my lamb to arrive. I want to thank Yab our waiter who was very understanding and even offered us a free drink. The food was okay, nothing WOW me personally, But if i had to highlight anything It would be the Caesar salad.

Aside from the French onion soup and rack of lamb, the service was more than I could ever expect. I’ve never left a google review before but if you really want to know how I feel about this place; I’ve been to hundreds of highly rated restaurants and this is one of the few I’d go back to purely for the service.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Washington, D.C., Decades DC is a nostalgic paradise that transports you back to the iconic '80s and '90s. This expansive nightclub spans an impressive 15,000 square feet across three stories, featuring six distinct levels and eight well-stocked bars. The venue's retro decor and artwork create a lively atmosphere reminiscent of those unforgettable decades.
My first visit!! Marvin was the sweetest bar tender!!! He totally made it a great time. Drinks were amazing! Told us all about the floors! Def worth the visit!

I've been coming to this Club for a while. Drinks are good. Music is okay. But my one complaint is about the Security. One guard in particular who gives off an intimidating vibe. I observe the way he stares me/people down and how aggressive he talks to customers. Really off putting. I understand it is not an easy job but the vibes haven't been the same with him working there.
Sarah R — Google review
Decades is such a fun spot. It has four floors of dance floors, so there’s plenty of space to move around and enjoy the music. The vibe is always lively and energetic, and you can tell people are there just to have a good time. The drinks aren’t too pricey, which makes it easy to hang out without worrying about your wallet. The staff are friendly, and the whole place feels welcoming. The only downside is that parking can be a bit of a hustle, but it’s definitely worth it for a night of dancing and fun with friends.

Unfortunately I came here for my 21st birthday. All of the staff except for the bartender was very aggressive and rude. One of the security guards laid their hands on my neck as I was exiting the building and I did not do anything wrong. My sister had someone lay their hands on her when we stood a couple feet away from the bottle service section cause I had just wanted to look around and they were very aggressive and mean then as well. WILL NEVER BE RETURNING and I don’t think anyone else here should as well unless you fit into their demographic here. The type of club you will have to cover your drink at. HORRIBLE SERVICE. The rest of my night was ruined and I was just trying to dance and have a few drinks for my birthday but the vibes from the staff very satanic. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE
Katlyn S — Google review
Better off spending your money anywhere else on this strip. after buying a section the music was a 4/10. We were kicked out because I sat on a mop bucket near the restroom to rest my feet. Go to Rosebar it’s better music, customer service , and prices. Or Abigail.

I prepaid for a ticket for a Halloween event and wanted clarification for why my ticket wasn’t acceptable and the non-black hostess called security on me for asking a question. The event was a decades event and there was no end time for the ticket. I paid for a fast pass. . As a black woman, I felt discriminated against because the hostess made me look as if I was aggressive for asking a question. They made me pay $40 when the ticket I prepaid for had no expiration time. There is no expiration time on the prepaid ticket.

Most of the staff is very friendly and tries to take care of any issues for customers. The food at Rewind is good. I can’t tell the quality of alcohol. It all feels the same for me.

Whitlow's in DC has recently reopened at the U Street location with a revamped rooftop, featuring refreshing crushes and rum buckets. It is a beloved establishment known for its vibrant atmosphere, great music, and attentive staff. The bar offers a variety of cocktails and food options across two floors and a rooftop space. Visitors praise the welcoming bouncers and enjoy the scenic views from the top floor while savoring delicious drinks and tasty food offerings.
They are doing a great job with Covid guidelines. The prices are very good. The food’s good. Mimosas deal it’s convenient. Very nice customer service. Quick service. We had a blast. Perfect for groups, they have a rooftop, outdoor seating, and a chill ambiance. I recommend this place.

I went to Whitlows DC for Super Bowl Sunday and had a Blast. I’ve gone there at night where it’s packed and more of a party scene so being there in the early evening was a change of pace. My friends and I received the best service from Michelle and Maddie. The second floor was packed with tables and they handled the rapid flow of business very well. I was impressed by this cause most bartenders and servers can succumb to the “weeds” but they kept it moving and were very organized. We had Jell-O shots, Boozey peach iced tea on draft and apps. Sadly I did not get a photo of the smoked wings, chicken wrap and jumbo sized jalapeño poppers but they were excellent. Great place, great staff and great Vibe. See you Around…Cheers!!!!

Came by yesterday afternoon and had a pleasant experience. We sat on the rooftop and it had awesome views of U Street. Service was great and we enjoyed the cocktails. I saw some negative reviews about prices which threw me off—we paid $42 for 4 cocktails which is very reasonable for the area. Bathrooms are a little confusing if you’re sitting on the rooftop—they are down a stairwell and to the left (not the same stairs you took to get up to the rooftop—ask the bartender if you get confused). Can’t speak to this place on Friday/Saturday nights as it probably gets packed and rowdy, but a Sunday afternoon happy hour was very chill. Some street parking but not a ton. Should probably metro or uber.

If I was a local, this would be my local spot!! We chose this place because we were looking for somewhere to watch football and enjoy a couple drinks and good food. It was a great choice! Sad we were not there for the Commander's game! Absolutely give them a try if you're looking for football tailgating energy!

I went to Whitlow's DC with friends for Trivia Night, which is, apparently, the city-wide past time here. Along with very tasty drinks, the bar food is exactly as it should be - delicious.

Love this place. I attended a private rooftop event and we had a blast. The food is good. The drinks can be a little watered down, so I op for wine instead. The staff is friendly and quick.

Jamie the bartender and Michelle the GM are reasons 1 & 2 for you to make this your weekend hot spot! These two wonderful ladies made my experience here in DC a one to remember. Got to check out Whitlow’s! You won’t regret it:) Best drinks on U street.

Popped in before a show at The Atlantis and was warmly greeted by a nice young man who told us about the daily specials. Forgot his name so my apologies. We had already eaten but the food looked amazing. We sat at the bar and were immediately engaged with the bartender, Jamie, who had the best attitude of anyone we encountered in DC. Not only did she tell us about the myriad of craft beers they offer and provide excellent service but she saved us a nice chunk of change by providing parking suggestions while we were in the area. Often times a city can be cold and ruthless but there’s a ray of sunshine at Whitlow’s on U street.

Hands down the best bartender in town! I'm at Sauf Haus every weekend, and Janine always makes me feel like family. Her knowledge of craft beers is impressive, and her recommendations are spot on. But what really sets her apart is her warm smile, infectious enthusiasm, and top-notch service. Janine truly goes above and beyond to make every visit unforgettable. If you're lucky enough to have her tend to you, you're in for a treat. Five stars isn't enough – I'd give her ten stars if I could! 😊🍻🥃

It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel so welcome while also keeping things efficient and professional. Marlyn really elevated the whole experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back because of the excellent service she provided. Highly recommend asking for her if you visit!

The Brixton is a British pub located in the U Street area of Washington DC with a rooftop beer garden. It's known for its good pre-show drinks and pub quiz opportunities, and it's a busy spot for drinks with plenty of fans.
I came here for brunch today for the first time and it was amazing, highly recommend it! We got the banana waffles with fried chicken and it was delicious!! The food was very fresh and tasted homemade. We were able to be seated on the rooftop and have brunch with a beautiful view. The service was great and everyone was so kind, definitely a really nice spot to check out for brunch!

Ahhhhh finally made it to Brixton!!! I've heard Tom's about this place but just never went. Upon arriving our IDs were checked and we proceeded to sit down at the tables in front of the bar. In order to get food or drinks you have to go to the bar for service. That's always a nice touch for me because its just straight to the point. We ordered a tall boy Tecate ($4) And 2 Angry Orchard Rosé ($5) both of these are on happy hour. The drink specials are really sweet ($2 off all draft beers and they gave a good selection. For food we ordered the Vietnamese brats (one beef and one vegan) and the tropical brat as well. The toppings were delightful!!! Omg I never would have thought to out carrots, salsa, avocado, etc... On a brat but it works. The experience was seem less and we were able to make it to out show at the 9:30 club as well. P.S if you have 9:30 club tickets then your happy hour is extended ☺️☺️☺️ nice touch

I like this spot a lot. I gave it 3 Stars only because how they now do the entry. If you were already on the roof top floor and come down to the 2nd floor for a drink you have to wait in line all over again to get back up. It used to be on the first floor and It needs to go back to that. I even had a card open upstairs he I still had to wait. This system is not good for great customer service. Other than that the drinks and music is on POINT

I really like the food, drinks and vibe here at The Brixton. The curry chicken samosas were really good and so was the spinach and crab dip!
Phoebe M — Google review
So this review is based on what Brixton was before covid and what is has become. It was a fun party bar. It has rebranded itself into another DC spot with mediocre food and a boring atmosphere. There used to be a line around the building on Saturday night. Now, it looks like this death. The rebranded themselves out of business. Raise your prices but keep getting money.

We ate here for brunch. It wasn't bad per se but I can't say I am eager to get back. The cost of brunch is $45 and it just doesn't feel like a $45 brunch experience. It is buffet style. On the buffet was bacon, scrambled egg, turkey sausage (which tasted like microwave links), fried chicken, fried fish, shrimp & grits, pre-made waffles, french toast, a tossed salad, and yogurt. All the food was cold. Not warm. Flat out cold. This included the shrimp & grits and fried fish. Now I will give them credit on service because our server is the only reason Im even giving 3 stars because he was great! Eventually they put new sterno warmers under the pans to warm the food which didn't work well considering the food was legit cold by this point. Once they actually put fresh shrimp & grits out they were very flavorful and good! The bacon was also good. The french toast was decent but could have been great if not cold and burned. The small non burnt pieces had really good flavor. You can add bottomless mimosa, margaritas or bloody marys for $25 which wasn't bad at all.
Jessica C — Google review
The ambiance is beautiful as you get a really great view of the city and the decor is sleek, modern and upscale. The food is amazing. The shrimp and grits was the best dish. I got to taste a couple of dishes(Henry’s Benedict and Chicken & Waffles) and they did not disappoint! The waiter(Kayvon)was so friendly and attentive to our group and the host Wes was so accommodating to our reservation when we were late. He even let me meet the chef! I also met the owner as well and he was just such a great owner.
Nana E — Google review
The restaurant's location inside the Cambria Hotel is convenient, especially for sports fans, as it is only a short walk away from Nationals Park and Audi Field. Being able to enjoy a delicious brunch and then easily attend a game or event is definitely a plus. The brunch was buffet style, and I must say, I am not usually a fan of buffets, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The brunch offered bottomless mimosas, so it's best to arrive early to make the most of the experience and fully enjoy the unlimited mimosas. My favorite dish was the shrimp and grits.
Draia — Google review
A swanky rooftop with small bites & some of the best views in the city! I only had the jerk chicken skewers they were tender, juicy & very, very spicy so be prepared. Good yet pretty spicy: it is jerk! It was hard getting drinks at the bar so they could get a better system for that.otherwise a good experience
Shawanda R — Google review
The view is amazing!! The parking situation wasn’t ideal because of the heavy construction in the area but overall a really pleasant ambience. The food was also solid. Limited menu options but everything that came out was yummy, especially the shrimp and grits. If you’re looking for somewhere to hang out before a game at Nats Park or Audi Field, or even a nice happy hour spot, The Perch in Cambrian Hotel is definitely a good option.

CUT Above is a sophisticated rooftop bar and lounge located on top of the Rosewood Washington, D.C. It offers stunning views of the DC skyline and the Potomac River. The bar serves artisan cocktails, a nice selection of wines, and elevated bar fare in a stylish and modern setting. Open to all during warmer months, it provides a perfect spot for enjoying beautiful vistas while sipping crafted drinks and indulging in delicious desserts from the renowned restaurant CUT D.C by Wolfgang Puck downstairs.
For was delicious we got the pretzel balls and the s'mores lava cake. The drinks tasted amazing as well. I can't speak for the atmosphere cause we went on Superbowl Sunday night so there was really nobody there but us. Beautiful view though and they had the rooftop area covered for winter which was great.

On a Thursday evening, a friend and I ventured to Georgetown for dinner on a rooftop. CUT by Wolfgang Puck is the restaurant inside the Rosewood, but CUT Above is the rooftop part with views of the city. For the month of October, CUT Above features an Oktoberfest menu. To feed two of us, we ordered the shrimp cocktails, ceviche, grilled cheese with ham, sausage, and two pan cotta desserts. The winners were the ceviche. It was unique and full of flavor. To drink, we ordered quality Sauvignon Blanc and the Watermelon Gem cocktail. Service was excellent! If you need a great rooftop with quality food and drink, go here!
Austin G — Google review
The rooftop is lovely, although not nearly as nice as others in the area - largely because the furniture is worn and wobbly. Now the food ... What food? The rooftop menu is very limited, so when they are out of something (like they were the Sunday afternoon we visited) it is painfully noticeable. The fact that we couldn't order the chicken wings because they only had one order left was beyond disappointing. In fact, we had the popcorn (delicious) and left to go eat elsewhere. One high note: The drinks were cute. Another note: At The Cut, the restaurant on the ground floor, beware that the bar imposes a 25% gratuity. AT the bar!! Unconscionable. Someone call Wolfgang and let him know what's going on. (P.s. The people in the penthouse next to the rooftop need to be reminded that where they get out of the Jacuzzi with no clothes on, everyone can see. Talk about a rooftop view!)
Alison B — Google review
Visited for the sunset on the rooftop bar, but the food was much better than we expected. The dulce de leche for the churros was perfectly sweet and smooth. The first host told us to hang around while they prepared a table and said she would come get us. We took pictures for golden hour closer to the sunset. Seating for non-hotel guests is only on one side, but that wasn’t clear until a second server let us know. And a third server came immediately after the second one and ushered us to a table that wasn’t prepared for us, frustrating the guests that wanted to sit there. It all worked out in the end. Maybe next time we should try reservations to minimize confusion.

Was super excited to come have the CUT burger and have a little date night! Nice atmosphere & set up on the roof and you’d expect 5 star food and service at a Rosewood Hotel and being in a CUT restaurant. Unfortunately, it was equivalent to any other rooftop experiences in DC. The hostess was very pleasant and gave us options on where to sit but the service was cold and inattentive ( got food with no cutlery, no water for like 20 mins), the food was decent but nothing I’d go back for, and the bathroom was a mess.
Zeina H — Google review
Beautiful view of the Potomac river. The rooftop is really nice. We went at night and we could see the Potomac river and the skyscrapers in Virginia. We took desserts and it was so good ! We had the chocolate soufflé from the famous restaurant just below and it was one of the best cake that I had !! The basque cheesecake was good also but the chocolat soufflé was definitely the star of the show for me.

Came here for a happy hour.. the bartender on the roof told me I couldn’t order a drink from her, I had to use a server. Guests can enjoy glamorous decor, comfortable seating, and delicious cocktails while taking in distant views of Washington Monument. Hidden gem! Vibe is top notch. Think giant palms and plush couches with outdoor comfy patio cushions. Adorable decor and amazing drinks!! I’m told the sunset views are amazing, but it’s a bit cloudy today. Will need to come back. Hannah made a great lychee martini and was so friendly!! Odd that this place is dead though. Seems like marketing isn’t happening bc no reason this place should be so dead.

Lady Bird is a wonderful rooftop bar with a distant view of our one-and-only pencil (ie, Wash Monument). With a glamorous decor and nice views, I was expecting the lounge to be packed; instead, it offered a comfortable space with plush seats to relax and enjoy a Friday night. We got a few shareables and delicious cocktails. The food was okay, but the drinks were amazing! Loved their spritz (Campari instead of Aperol), and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed the lychee martini. Only reason for the 4 star: long wait. The staff was chaotic from the start and we waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Nobody did, so we went up to the bar. I really look forward to coming again, and hopefully experiencing better service! Otherwise, Lady Bird is a hidden gem and well worth the visit.

From the moment I arrived at the Kimpton Banneler for our event at the stunning Ladybird venue, I knew we were in good hands. I had quite a few supplies to bring in, and the lobby staff—especially Dennis—was incredibly gracious and helpful. He immediately made me feel supported and welcomed, setting the tone for the rest of the day. When we got up to the Ladybird venue, the staff was already hard at work setting up, and I was blown away by how professional, friendly, and dedicated they were. I was warmly introduced to the dream team: Meck, Helena, John, Brittany, Chef Santiago, Oscar, and Suslay (forgive me if I’ve misspelled anyone’s name!). Every single one of them was a 10/10 human being, completely committed to making our event exceptional. They checked in with me on every detail—big and small—and were incredibly intentional about the setup and flow of the event. Their patience, creativity, and can-do attitude helped bring my vision to life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. A special shoutout to Chef Santiago, who created the most beautiful and delicious food displays—our guests are still talking about it! Helena and Meck, our bartenders, brought not only skill but also such warmth and personality to the evening. Gorgeous inside and out, they helped keep the energy high and the drinks flowing with a smile. And a huge thank you to Brittany Duarte, who worked with me for weeks leading up to the event—her attention to detail and dedication ensured everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. Finally, I want to recognize John Jiminez, the on-site manager. From the moment we met, he felt like family. His calm leadership and positive energy were the perfect anchor for the night. To the entire Ladybird team: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are truly incredible, and I can’t wait to host more events with you in the future!

UPDATE: Was finally able to experience LB and was pleasantly surprised with the cocktail offerings and seating accommodations. Outdoor seating was via reservation only at the time of my visit, but the gorgeous sunset views were well worth it. Footnote: As anticipated [and understandably] LB is short-staffed; service/expedition will more than likely be at a slower pace, and must be kept in mind during weekend visits especially... OP (1/22) Was looking quite forward to having cocktails at Lady Bird during my recent four-day stay at the Kimpton Banneker; so much so, that I made a point of familiarizing myself with their stated offerings and began following their Instagram page. In doing the latter, I received a notification --- on the first day of my stay, in fact! --- via an Instagram post, that they would be opening at 4PM that afternoon for service. Come that time however, we found the doors locked, and was told by the Kimpton concierge that they would not be open that evening, as they were only open for business on the weekends. Come the weekend nonetheless, Ladybird was still closed --- and remained closed during the duration of my stay. While I understand that staffing shortages and restricted operating hours are not uncommon these days (and am in no way faulting LB!) I am posting this review as a gentle caution to any would-be visitors against relying on their social media pages (which appear to be auto-generating content) for operating information, and contacting either the hotel's front desk or LB directly! Have already raised the aforementioned concern(s) with Kimpton Banneker, and have noted that LB at present, appears to be updating their posts' captions as necessary; looking forward to both ultimately imbibing at Lady Bird and amending this "rating" accordingly!

Had a wonderful time here at Lady Bird with a few friends. The views were amazing and the space was cozy and inviting. It was late and windy so our waitress MiMi gave us a few blankets. She was so warm and friendly! We had the chicken lollipops which in my opinion were the best on the menu. The deviled eggs were a close second. The Negroni was a tasty drink. Will definitely return soon!

First of all, I just want to mention that the valet attendant is the sweetest and attentive person I’ve ever met. Located on top of a cute boutique hotel, the vibes are very chill up on this rooftop bar. The view is great! However, these pictures don’t even do any justice because as simple as these plates look, they are beyond what my tastebuds could ever expect. The duck leg is so perfectly cooked that you literally pull the bone out and shred the meat with a fork and it’s the most moist and flavorful thing I’ve ever had. The deviled eggs were also perfection, I may be biased tho because I love anything with a bit of truffle in it 😅 definitely a great find!

I was ready to give this place a 3 star based on some wing I got yesterday, but then had the avocado toast in the morning and I have to admit, one of the best I’ve had. For the wings, I think that French fries would be much better to pair with. If staying at the hotel, it just makes sense. I will be trying their lunch menu as well and might edit my review accordingly

Visited 7/10/21. Place was okay. Views were nice, seats were limited and menu was very limited. Food tasted okay, nothing amazing. Cocktail menu had 5 cocktails but had a good size alcohol list. Nice place to take a date if you just want to have a drink and a small plate and enjoy nice relaxing ambiance with nice views. Not the place for a full blown dinner.
S.M. — Google review
Nice cozy friendly staff burgers were good, I’m not a big fan of alcohol-my husband got against the grain cocktail and it was kinda too bitter but it’s up to your taste. The views are great
Nataliya V — Google review
Edit: Sadly, Hedys no longer serves food at the rooftop! Such a disappointment. Also, there is no direct number to the restaurant and no one ever answers the phone when transferred through the hotel. Previous post: LOVE Hedy’s!! Food & drinks are always amazing and the view is outstanding! Music, vibe and service are all great too!

Cute rooms, but 2/3 of the days during my stay they closed the pool to private events. They charge you an amenities fee which includes (pool access) but then block you from entry. Basically double dipping and leaving you out of luck.

Yesterday I paid $19+ for a single glass of Rose... not even heavy on the pour. Surprised, when I asked the bartender if this could possibly be right he sort of shrugged and said, yep, they're $20 each. Outrageous pricing, even for DC. While I gave a $2 tip because I'm not a monster, the bartender did the absolute minimum during our interaction - no greeting, no apology for the pricing, and took his sweet time to run my card. At our table, 3 different people tried to clear our plates that still had food on them. Considering the prices, yes, we have to lick the plate. Views are great.

Overall, Hush offers a fantastic blend of elegance and relaxation, highly recommended for great drinks, bites, and breathtaking views.

This is a nice rooftop pool and bar. Small but serviceable, if it's not too crowded dayside. Food and drinks are priced for late night lounge and not casual lunch, but you're paying for an ok view and a dip in the pool.
Ryan K — Google review
At the rooftop bar, weak pours, expect an Initiative 82 fee plus an automatic 25% tip on top of everything?! Plus they don't even tell you that gratuity is included.

Eclectic restaurant
Rose's Luxury is a popular New American restaurant located in a converted townhouse in Capitol Hill. Known for its eclectic small plates menu, the cozy and chic decor adds to the dining experience. Despite long lines in the past, it has maintained its reputation as a Michelin-starred restaurant. Now, diners can use an online system to book same-day reservations, making it easier to enjoy dishes like the legendary lychee and pork salad.
I was gifted a dinner here and two of my adult children and I arrived for a Thursday evening service. The setting is beautiful, like an outdoor courtyard, but inside! The staff was welcoming, energetic and friendly. Throughout the evening, attention was showered upon us with each new course. The cocktails we ordered were well made and delicious. Each course was delivered with an explanation. Although we enjoyed some items more than others, we tried everything. It was delicious and we were stuffed when we were done. If you are looking for a special evening with delicious food and great service, I highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our experience at Rose’s Luxury! The food was outstanding — creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were genuinely warm and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. Every detail, from the atmosphere to the service, made the evening unforgettable. Truly one of the best dining experiences in D.C.!
Feifei D — Google review
Incredible experience here twice! Most recently went to celebrate my anniversary, did the "choose your own adventure" menu at the chef's counter. Delicious options (famous pork & lychee salad is a MUST), good portion sizes, and top notch service (big shout out to Lindsay S. for making our celebration extra special with an additional dessert!) Also love how casual/relaxed this place is (and not be exorbitantly expensive), and yet has maintained its Michelin Star for several years. Just goes to show you can deliver a superb dining experience without the traditional fanciness/priciness. This place is a must-try in DC!
Sean H — Google review
Truly I can say that I had one of the best meals of my life at Rose’s. Put it this way i ate there in February (‘25) and I’m still thinking of that meal every often. The service here is some of the best in DC, from the moment you walk in and are greeted by the hostess down to the kind and quick person who refills your water before you even realized you had sipped half your glass already. I enjoyed the variety of flavors and fusions of food groups. 5/5 service 5/5 recommend to others 5/5 will return
Aly — Google review
Six of us had the tasting menu and every item was phenomenal. Our favorites were pork and lychee salad, tuna tartare, and the super charred cabbage. Each dish was visually appealing and an explosion of flavors. The service was amazing. They even ran to a sister restaurant to find a bottle of wine for us. Loved the energy of the restaurant. Highly recommend Rose’s Luxury!
Michael C — Google review
This place still kills it. It was one of the better meals I've had this year. The service is excellent and the food is outstanding. They make every meal a special occasion. And yes, add the adult happy meal to your order.
Justin Z — Google review
The food was great. Be prepared for a very rich meal. I am glad I paced myself and didn’t feel the need to clean every plate. The vibe is casual. They serve some of the dishes on very cute tea sets. Loved that.
Melanie Z — Google review
A very solid 4.5 out of 5. Rounding up because the service is just so friendly and top-notch. I was a walk-in and sat at the bar on a Thursday night and got the tasting menu. Was overall pleasantly surprised with all the food given. I think it's an amazing value for all of the food you are given. I definitely left very full. Things that I am not a huge fan of such as cauliflower, raisins, etc I gobbled up because they were so we'll prepared. I thought the Happy Meal was well presented but was the miss on the menu. Burger was awesome but I thought it just a step above Shake Shack, for example. Fries also had good seasoning but we're incredibly salty. The other dishes I had were all really good and I'll definitely return.

Beer garden
Restaurant
Biergarten Haus is a newly added German-inspired beer bar in Washington, featuring a large heated beer garden and patio. The bar offers an impressive selection of German beers and other types of alcohol, along with classic German dishes such as spatzle, schnitzel, and various wurst (sausages). With football on TV and about a dozen German drafts available, the place exudes an authentic Germanic atmosphere.
Raspberry lemonade and passion fruit sprite. I got a bauernwurst, bratwurst and knackwurst sausage platter served with sauerkraut, potato pancake and bacon/sweet chili brussel sprouts. My husband got the jägerschnitzel. Everything was absolutely amazing, especially the live music! We even requested a few songs. The starter platters, the spinach artichoke dip and tex mex egg rolls, we're so delicious. The entrees were even better. I will definitely return to this place and 100% recommend to everyone.
Tamara W — Google review
Decided to stop in while walking down H Street on a windy night. Really enjoyed the waiter and staff. Sat in the back where there were a lot of TVs with soccer on. There was a fun crowd too. I would definitely go again!
Alicia B — Google review
We went out to Brunch for our 2 friends birthday. The wait staff were very friendly although at times inconsistent with our orders. This may have been due to the menus switching from brunch to dinner. The food was very good and the drinks were good to. Will visit again and hope to have a better experience.
Franklyn B — Google review
If you're craving authentic German beer, this is the place. Just prepare to pay a bit more than what you're used to in Germany. It is imported after all! If you're living in Germany like me and miss that Biergarten vibe, this is the right place! They have a huge outdoor seating that very much exudes those Biergarten vibes. It's a nice place to chill with friends on a hot summer's night or watch the world cup/UEFA European championship!
Hong D — Google review
What a fantastic place for date night. They have Giant steins of kolsch and authentic schnitzel. I was so so happy. I definitely recommend this to everyone. Great atmosphere, warm fire on the inside if you need, and it only gets better, especially later in the evening.
Stephanie G — Google review
Went out on a limb looking for some good beer and authentic German food. Thank goodness the Google reviews didn’t disappoint. This place was amazing. And Laurin was a great server. Will definitely come back when the weather’s a little bit warmer.

Service was slow, my sweet potato fries made my teeth hurt. But the apple sage i had was delicious! And this place is really nicely decorated.
Stephanie M — Google review
Disappointed about all the hype. Ordered a Lemon Shandy aka "Berliner Weisse" and it came with ice cubes. Never had beer with ice cubes so that was a new one going to a Bier Garten. Food was OK but surprisingly filling. Sadly the service was lacking; had ordered the Reuben Sandwich and asked for spicy additions. Wasn't offered the 75 cent jalapeno option that comes with burgers sadly. Drinks were never refilled and the bill never arrived when asked. Sadly the rooftop terrace was also closed. Maybe better service next time around?
