Barbecue restaurant
Located at the intersection of Little Five Points and Candler Park on Dekalb Avenue, Fox Bros Bar-B-Q is a renowned BBQ spot in Atlanta. Founded by Texan brothers Jonathan and Justin Fox, this eatery offers slow-roast ribs, pulled pork, and Southern sides in a casual setting with a patio. Their style of BBQ blends Texas influences with a southern touch.
What an amazing place to eat smoked and grilled food. Everything is well cooked and served in time. The service is fenomenal. There is in and outdoor seating enough for large groups. I would recommend inside. If you are in this area, you should come and try it. You won’t be disappointed.

Found a super popular spot nearby that serves fried chicken & BBQ 🍗🔥 The place gets packed fast! I had my eyes on the Smoked Chicken, but sadly it was already sold out 😢 So I went for the Classic Combo (2 meats & 2 sides) instead. I picked two Beef Briskets — one lean and one fatty. The French guy sitting next to me highly recommended the fatty cut, and wow… he was right. It literally melts in your mouth 🤤✨ The sauces were just okay, but honestly, the brisket was already flavorful enough without them. For sides, I chose Potato Salad 🥔 and Mac & Cheese 🧀. The potato salad was hearty and filling, while the mac & cheese was absolutely delicious — creamy, cheesy, and comforting in every bite 😍 Overall, super satisfied! Next time, I’ll definitely come earlier to finally try that Smoked Chicken 🙌

Undeniably some of the BEST Barbecue I have ever had. The spare ribs were outstanding, wish I had ordered a whole rack! The baked beans were perfectly cooked, the BBQ sauce selection was exemplary, and the service was very quick. Super great atmosphere and smells like heaven! Perfect spot for fantastic Southern BBQ, a must have if you’re in ATL.

Love this place. Weve come here for over 10 yrs. Haven't been in few yrs since its a far drive. But we popped in last night & its still great. The brisket is definitely my favorite. Gotta always get the 1/2 & 1/2 fried jalapeño & pickles app. We thought we would have to wait 30min. But was lucky & immediately got a table for 2. Still great all this time.
ValleyWest — Google review
Wow. This was some GREAT bbq. The portions are HUGE so plan accordingly. We tried walking up and it was a 40 minute wait since prepared. Overall, really good place for some high quality meats, alongside great service and atmosphere. If I go to Atlanta again, I know for sure where to go!
Kyle M — Google review
Really great BBQ place. But very very very busy. Ribs were least favorite. Sauces amazing. Fried okra was nice surprise. The bread pudding, please don't miss this one. Prices are very fair. I'll be back. A lot!

Chicken. Fried. Ribs. I brought a group of five here on a hope and a prayer that this place was legit, and it did not disappoint. Tiffany was our server, and she did an amazing job, and was super funny. 10/10 - chicken fried ribs. First things first, the chicken fried ribs were unreal. Tender, not overcooked, excellent flavor from the fried exterior. The white barbecue sauce with the drizzle of their regular barbecue sauce, set it off perfectly. Everyone at the table could not stop talking about these ribs. Excellent appetizer. Comes with three good sized ribs. 9/10 - brisket. I opted for a massive slice of fatty brisket. The fat was rendered very nicely, good bark. Only complaint is the brisket was slightly dry, but the flavor was still on point. 10/10 - smoked chicken wings. I'm always leery of smoked chicken wings, because I believe crispy and fried is generally best, however the spicy barbecue "wet" wings had excellent flavor and texture, and everything was still juicy inside. Also let's talk about the side of blue cheese that they give you; the cup they give you on the side is GENEROUS. 10/10 - tots. They were standard tots... Crispy, salty, delicious. Excellent with the white barbecue sauce. Nothing special or unique, but that's why you get them topped with brisket chili or brunswick stew. 9/10 - brisket chili. This is a solid chili, but I do wish there were bigger chunks of brisket, and maybe some tomato chunks or veggies in the chili. 10/10 - banana pudding. Exactly what you want out of banana pudding. Crunchy nilla wafer, creamy, nice banana flavor. Only thing that could make this better is some whipped cream, but that's ultimately not an expectation with banana pudding. **I was not coerced or incentivized to leave this review. I'm just a raving fan now.

Awesome BBQ joint! Great food with amazing staff! My favorite was the brisket and pulled pork! The sides didn't disappoint either! Brunswick Stew was very delicious.

Korean barbecue restaurant
Korean restaurant
Heirloom Market BBQ is a small, popular eatery located in the Cumberland area of Atlanta. Despite its limited patio seating and unassuming location next to a convenience store, it draws large crowds eager to sample its unique offerings. Run by husband and wife chefs Cody Taylor and Jiyeon Lee, Heirloom Market BBQ puts an Asian twist on traditional barbecue, resulting in dishes like Spicy Korean pork with kimchi slaw and wings served with kimchi mayo.
The Most Delicious BBQ!!!! Very Low Key place that once you try it will blow your mind. I have had the ribs, turkey sandwich, pork sandwich, collard greens are incredible mac & cheese is A1 the barbecue baked beans even have brisket in them so I can’t say enough this is a James Beard award winning location amongst other accolades. You will not be disappointed let me not forget their sweet potatoes so delicious.
Kal W — Google review
Here's my verdict on this spot, fries were what I remembered but sandwich was smaller than it used to be. Flavor was the same, but the bun wasn't as soft as I remember and the pork was a bit dry. Last time I visited here was pre pandemic so I'm giving them ⭐⭐⭐ outta 5.

I've never been to a restaurant that has tables that you can't sit at. We ended up ordering takeout and eating it in the parking lot, in the car. When you first pull up to the restaurant, the storefront is a bit off-putting, being on the side of a convenience station, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. You have to order your food through a QR code, and pay online. The actual BBQ is alright at best. I ordered the chopped Brisket, and it was pretty bland and dry without the sauce. The portion size is decent. The Macaroni and Cheese is extremely bland. It was literally Macaroni shells in a cheese sauce. I'm not sure why this restaurant was named the best BBQ in Atlanta, but I probably will not be returning.

I am Korean but grew up in the USA as well as Korea. I was actually a huge fan of Jiyeon Lee in the 1980s in Korea (내겐 아픔이었네, 바람아 멈추어다오)! I didn't even speak Korean back then but liked her music. Pretty much every guy in school had a massive crush on her but I digress... I came to Atlanta to visit my son at GT and made sure to stop by Heirloom for some BBQ. I knew that it would be sort of fusion Korean + Texas BBQ and the food was awesome! I had the brisket, Korean spicy pork, and spare ribs. I wanted to try a lot of the sides so had the Mac & cheese, green tomato kimchi, fries, traditional cole slaw, bbq beans, and Brunswick stew. For sauces I got table, kitchen, Korean bbq, and settler. Price was good and not too expensive. First the meats. The brisket was excellent. Good mix of fat and lean meat since I was served the point. Korean pork was more like chopped pork but marinated in gochujang Korean style. It was good but slightly overcooked and hard so I prefer the traditional Korean bbq pork. The spare ribs were good but slightly overcooked as well (so a little dry). The sides were excellent. The green tomato kimchi was especially good and the perfect blend of Korean + southern! Bbq beans was full of meat as well as beans. Brunswick stew was new to me but also excellent. The traditional slaw was some of the best I have ever had. Fries were good and similar to the fries at 5 guys (which is a good thing). The Mac and cheese was soft and gooey the way it should be! The sauces were also good. Table was pretty traditional as was the settler (nice vinegar sauce typical of south Carolina style, etc.). Kitchen was nice and spicy and was my favorite. The Korean bbq tasted like sweet gochujang...also good but I preferred the kitchen since it was less sweet. Overall, a winner and I am so glad I was able to stop by. I placed an order for pick up on the website about 15 minutes before going there and when I got there I waited about 10 minutes. It was not crowded when I went there at around 6:30pm on a weekday. Unfortunately I did not get to see Jiyeon Lee in person as I don't think she was there. But maybe next time? So nice to eat some great BBQ! They should play some of her old music on the speakers here....
Dan P — Google review
You order online and there’s a standing room patio to eat outside if you’re not doing takeout. We had the brisket, turkey, and spicy pork. All were delicious but the turkey was our favorite!! Best onion rings we’ve ever had, and the kimchi mayo is just too good. Food came out super fast and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Great food and great service!!!
Emily T — Google review
This place is iconic for me because the owner was a very famous singer in Korea. I’ve always hoped to visit while staying in Atlanta, and today is the day! :) Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet the owner in person—sad. We ordered the Full Rack Rib Rack, Brisket, Wings, and some sides. The back ribs were delicious, and the brisket was incredibly tender.
Jong C — Google review
Finally a restaurant that lives up to the hype. The amazing, delicious beans make it exceed the hype actually. Everything was delicious. The banana pudding, yes to the marshmallows. The radish salad was amazing and the sauce with the Korean pork, yum. These guys deserve all the recognition they get.
Mark L — Google review
I've been coming to this place for over 10 years and the food got better. The macaroni and cheese here is pretty decent. Not the best but it's pretty decent and they do have beef ribs which are very very good and the beef brisket here is top notch. I do like the Asian or Korean inspired flavor.

Sweet Auburn BBQ is a trendy spot that offers a mix of traditional and inventive dishes, along with creative cocktails. Located in the Sweet Auburn Curb Market and Poncey Highlands, this restaurant slow-cooks its meats over hickory and apple wood for a unique flavor. The menu features classic meat plates and sandwiches like Memphis baby back ribs or the Sweet Auburn barbecue plate, as well as more innovative options such as coconut lemongrass pork spare ribs or Korean-style short rib sandwich.
Ordered the nachos skillet and the BBQ bowl with grits both were incredible! The nachos were fully loaded with layers of flavor, and the texture was spot on. Highly recommend!
J T — Google review
This BBQ place sounded awesome on paper—Southern BBQ with an Asian twist? I was all in. But sadly, most of the food didn’t quite deliver. The Chinese Ribs were burnt on the outside but somehow still bland inside. The ribs leaned way too sweet, like they were trying too hard to be “fusion” without getting the balance right. The wings were a little too dry and inedible. The brisket definitely saved that pick-three platter. They also had a Chinese peanut slaw on the side that somehow tasted more cilantro than anything. But it’s not all bad. The cornbread. Seriously. Warm, buttery, slightly sweet with a perfect crust. Although, I was waiting for the jalapeño cheddar to kick in and… nothing. Oh, and don’t even bother ordering the pimiento wontons. I would’ve gone with a good ole crab rangoon instead. The staff was friendly, and the place has a chill vibe, so I’m giving them credit for the effort. They’re clearly trying something different—it just needs more flavor and a little more focus. For now, it’s a solid "nice try."

The food here is great! My server Joey recommended the Wu Tang wings and they were my favorite thing on the plate. They served my meal pretty quickly, and my server was very attentive and helped me with every thing I needed. The banana pudding is also very delicious. Loved the baked beans. Next time I come to Atlanta I want to try their Brunch!

Stumbled in just from the smell on a Sunday Morning. Nose don’t lie, food was incredible, service amazing, thanks Ethan. Zero complaints. Flavorful. So good didn’t even need to drink. So filling, not even the largest appetites would finish it. Will be back to explore the bar and regular menu. Thanks guys.

Stopped by for lunch today after a movie at The Plaza, and I’m so glad we did! Literally everything we tried was so good. The pimento cheese wontons and the pulled pork were our standouts, but we’d 100% have each item again. And if you’re a bread person, the corn bread is a must!
Sarah F — Google review
Located in a fairly walkable neighborhood. Limited parking. Really tasty food. Accommodating and welcoming team. I visited one evening and found myself in a bustling warm hybrid eatery and television lounge. While the 6+ tvs played the same football game, a myriad of flavors landed on plates adjacent to me. The smells were really savory. We ordered the mapo brisket and waited about 35 minutes for the food. I got to try their Athletic Cerveza Atletica low abv lager (0.5%) and was very pleased by the light citrus-raspberryish taste. When I checked in on the food 25 min in I learned they were out of our original order of mapo brisket and would replace it with the smoked brisket redang which only took about 5-10 extra minutes wait. We had the food about 20 minutes later taking it home. I think the flavors were really great. The brisket was very tender and well sauced & seasoned. The cucumbers made a beautiful addition. I feel this is one of those meals where everything mixed together really enhances the flavors of all components. Even the banana pudding we got was very flavorful. It wasn’t too sweet either. The texture was thoroughly pudding with a graham cracker sprinkling on top. I thought the custard style dessert was light and refreshing after the meal, it just wasn’t as layered as I anticipated (banana pudding with nilla wafers). I also feel I’ve gotten this size container of food full and weighing almost double the weight from other restaurants so that was a little surprising for the price, but if you make some more rice and vegetables to accompany it you’ll probably be able to share it nicely with a family of 4. I’d also ask for additional sauce next time. I look forward to the next meal I get to try here. It’s definitely a place with a beautiful story of culinary arts, exploration, and joy. Thank you everyone!

Barbecue restaurant
Fat Matt's Rib Shack is a no-frills counter-service joint that offers tender, juicy barbecue ribs with authentic smoky undertones and tangy sauce. The restaurant also serves perfectly cooked chicken with a variety of sides like rum-baked beans, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese. Visitors can enjoy live blues music against a mural depicting great blues musicians at this popular Atlanta spot on Piedmont Avenue.
Fat Matt’s is legendary for a reason . Great BBQ and tasty blues in an iconic , historic location . Opened 35 years ago and still going strong . We arrived well after the lunch rush , around 2:15 , and there was a line out the door stretching into the parking lot . It moved quickly though , and the short wait was well worth it . The ribs were smoked just up to the point of falling off the bone , but left just firm enough to pick em up and eat with your fingers . If you know good ribs , you know that’s how they should be . The Brunswick stew is up there with the best I’ve ever had , and I’m picky about my stew . The sauce is zesty with just a bit of heat … my wife and I both loved it . Speaking of my wife , she’s pickier than I am and was absolutely thrilled with her chicken quarter and collards . 10 out of 10 , will come again. Y’all check it out . Follow - up : Y’all it was so good we were back just 4 days later . If anything it was better . Y’all come and get it !

We stopped by for a quick takeout dinner and were extremely impressed by how flavorful the food was. Every item we tried was delicious—especially the ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. The lemonade was also excellent. One thing to note: the portion sizes for the sides listed on the menu are very small (see picture), likely less than half a cup. I’d recommend ordering a pint if you’re looking for a more satisfying portion.
David P — Google review
Tried out Fat Matt’s Rib Shack and overall, it was a decent experience. The ribs had a very unique flavor — not bad, not great, just different. The sauce was bold enough that it kind of drowned out the smoke and any seasoning on the meat, which might not be for everyone. The sides were solid, and the service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was laid-back and quiet when I visited, but I can imagine it gets pretty lively with their live music, especially in such a small space. It’s clearly a local favorite, and I can see the charm, but personally, I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop by again. Worth checking out if you’re nearby and curious, but maybe not a destination BBQ spot for me.

Small but huge in flavor and service. Dont ask and just come, you won’t be disappointed. Best prices and live entertainment. Def coming back and telling the boys. Well done guys…

Instagram told me to come here! This spot is not bad. It will definitely satisfy your BBQ craving. Honestly, I've had better BBQ elsewhere, but this place will get the job done if you're itchin' for ribs. The main thing I dislike is that they don't offer any combos; everything sold separately. My ribs and mac & cheese were satisfying. I disliked my baked beans because it had a watery/soupy consistency. I prefer thick baked beans. And I didn't like the way they seasoned it. I love the old-school feel of the place. I appreciate them giving military discount. All in all, I'm glad I gave this spot a try. I can scratch it off my "to-try" list. Would I come back? No -- all because I can compare this BBQ place to other spots and family cookouts that are better than here.

First time here. Delicious smoked ribs, juicy and tender and full of flavor. Beer was good too. Service was good. Overall a great value. I recommend this place if you are craving BBQ. My advice, add smoked brisket and French fries as a side!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fat Macs (M-A-T-T-S) in Atlanta is a gem! It’s just down from Piedmont Park, and my mom kept reminding me about it—I had been a long time ago but couldn’t remember. I finally went back and wow, I’m so glad I did. I tried the small end sandwiches just to sample, and oh my gosh—they were perfectly done, with just the right crispiness. The barbecue sauce is absolutely delicious. I should’ve grabbed a bottle to take home! Next time I’m in Atlanta, I’m planning to order a whole slab with extra sauce on the side. And I can’t forget to mention—I love the live band. The music really adds to the whole experience and makes the atmosphere even better. Fat Macs is definitely on my list for a return visit. Highly recommend!

We had Togo yesterday and it was a waste of time energy and money. The parking lot needs some TLC the service was bare minimum. The energy was extremely flat. We had two plates plus extra beef. The meat brisket and beef rib (4/10) was tough and unflavored. The Mac n cheese (2/10) it was dry and just not pleasant period , the candied yams (1/10) they were burnt and tasted like burnt brown sugar, the broccoli casserole (6/10) it was fair had a little more flavor than all the other dishes/sides. The cornbread (3/10) it was dry but sweet. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone that loves bbq avoid wasting your money here. Now disregard this review if you like your food as I described above.

Another IG post that made me want to try Daddy D’z… I have mixed feelings about this place but ultimately my money was definitely wasted. I spent nearly $100 on 3 plates (rib and chicken combos) to get old and I mean old as hell hard as hell chicken. Ribs not tender at all. I couldn’t chew any of the meat. I had to throw it away. The Mac and cheese is these big ol shells… not a good choice for Mac and cheese but was not good at all either. It was so bad I had to ask myself…there is no way when they put this plate together looked at the chicken and thought this was ok. I was so disappointed… the customer service was great tho… but I won’t be returning unfortunately and I wanted to love this place sooooo bad!!!

DON’T GO HERE. Waste of my $36.17. Sold me RAW chicken that’s still clucking. The rice and beans are a high blood pressure gateway. The cornbread tastes like dry, unflavored cornmeal.

Parents used to take me here as a kid every week and I came back to try it as an adult. The food tastes exactly the same. Trashy place, delicious food, good service. It's certainly an experience!
Noah M — Google review
We ordered the ribs and chicken with collard greens, red beans and rice, and baked beans. What a pleasant surprise to find that everything we ordered was delicious. The both meats were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The collard greens were a bit salty but very tasty, the baked beans were pretty good, but the red beans and rice were everyone's favorite. The one thing we didn't like as much was the BBQ sauce, which wasn't a big deal as this was takeout and have better sauce at home. I've lived nearby for years and am kicking myself for not having eaten here before. I'll definitely be back.

This was just completely nasty. Ribs did not have any season on them. They were tough and just nasty. Again the ribs and peach cobbler ARE NASTY but on a positive side the greens and yams and sweet tea was good. Don't waste your money. Pissed wasted $35 for nothing .

I ordered 2 pulled pork plates with Mac and cheese and baked beans. I ordered thru UberEats. The plates were bogo. ABSOLUTELY disgusting. Because I ordered thru uber I won’t get my money back. I’m very upset about it. The beans were the only good thing. The pulled pork was flavorless. There was a bunch of juice under it. Like if it’s not already tender and juicy, putting a bunch of juice in it for delivery isn’t going to help. The Mac and cheese was made with like huge velveeta type shells. They tried to doctor it up with extra cheese and seasoning. That didn’t work. They need new noodles and a whole different recipe. My sister in law isn’t black but her Mac and cheese tastes waaaayyyy better than this BBQ spot. I couldn’t even finish the food. Didn’t even eat enough to get my money worth. Put it in the fridge. 2 days later it’s going in the trash. I’m not even going to try and make it better. I will NEVER order here again. I honestly think they should close their business and go back to the drawing board for decent recipes and bbq techniques then reopen the business.

Community Q BBQ in Decatur offers a low-fi space with counter service and lively country decor. The restaurant is known for its succulent ribs served on a large platter, creating an aristocratic dining experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with the aroma of smoke filling the air as guests enjoy their meals. The menu features smoked meats, sandwiches, sides, salads, and pudding for dessert.
This is a little hole in the wall spot and it was amazing! Hubby and I both ordered their brisket sandwich with mac and cheese and collard greens. The brisket was super tender, the mac was nice and cheesy and the greens were shockingly good! They also had this vinegarette stuff on the tables that when mixed with their BBQ sauce gave the perfect tangy taste to the meet. The staff was very pleasant and our food was ready fast. If you happen to be in the area I highly recommend checking this place out!

We had an amazing experience. My family really enjoyed the food. I looked on line and saw great reviews. My family was here visiting and wanted barbeque. They are picky and they all enjoyed the food. Spoke to the owner Liz very friendly and made great suggestions since I'm a vegan. Our server was Will again they are over the top. Food and service TOP NOTCH!

Yeah! They are absolutely amazing. The service, the space, the ambiance and atmosphere gives cozy as soon as you walk in. Chicken was tender juicy succulent. Greens aren’t oily. Great texture not soft. The bake Mac & cheese lol definitely a great go to. Baked through al dente indeed. Beautiful people, beautiful place. I will be going back very soon. Thank you guys!!! Shout out to the crew & the establishment.

Loved the BBQ here! The brisket was the star – super tender, packed with flavor, and that smoky taste was just perfect. Honestly, I’d come back just for the brisket. The rest was great too, but that brisket hit different!

Ribs have a wonderful char on top that brings out the flavors of their rub. The bone in chicken is JUICY. Brisket is tender and smokey. All of the sides we tried are pretty good. More cheese in the mac and we can make this place a regular, ours was mostly noodles and butter. The baked beans were tasty and meaty, and could be a meal. Collards were tender and well seasoned. Coleslaw is good but I can do without the onions even though it's not overpowering the slaw. Will return.
Rob J — Google review
Great ribs and brisket! The other meats are good as well, but definitely try the ribs first. We got some Brunswick stew to take home since it was perfect as well. And the service was excellent with some good music in the background.

Stopped in for late lunch after long day of traveling. Ordered the brisket sandwich and potato salad. Brisket was beautiful. Little light on smoke flavor, but near flawless. Well done fellas! Potato salad hit the spot to!

I was craving BBQ and googled a few restaurants before choosing to go with CBBQ. The drive there was 40 minutes and WORTH IT. I got a Rib combo with sliced brisket, mac n cheese, baked beans and banana pudding. My total was $30. The ribs were SPECTACULAR. I already want to go back for a full slab. The brisket was good. The first few slices were tender and seasoned well, but the last three slices were dry. The Mac n cheese is extremely cheesy and creamy. I loved it. The baked beans had a smoky bbq flavor. Never tasted anything like it, but I liked it! The person who took my order was extremely friendly and welcoming. However, I took off a star as my one complaint/issue is the portion size. I ordered the banana pudding and it was $4.50. It was the smallest portion size I’ve seen for a dessert. Maybe 4 spoon fulls. It was the same size of the sides that came with dinner, and I, too, thought they were too small for the amount of money paid. For $30, you’d hope for leftovers, but nope, I ate it all, no crumbs. Great BBQ. Just wish the sides and desserts were larger. I’ll be back for more ribs.

Restaurant
Wood’s Chapel BBQ is a trendy barbecue spot located in Summerhill, Atlanta. The restaurant, opened in 2019 by Todd Ginsberg and partners from the General Muir, offers a variety of meats cooked in offset smokers at a detached smokehouse out back. The industrial space with outdoor picnic tables provides a hip setting for enjoying classic barbecue plates and sides. Despite its unconventional transition from running a Southernized Jewish deli, Wood’s Chapel BBQ has quickly become one of Atlanta's top barbecue destinations.
The food was great. I loved the brisket and collard greens especially. The mac and cheese was good too. Reasonably priced compared to other BBQ spots. Would definitely recommend. Also, the young woman that took my group's order this afternoon was super friendly and very hospitable.

Wood Chapel BBQ has really good food. The brisket is very great and the drinks are good. The sides could use some work but I will always be a fan of the brisket here! Great location with great parking. Will return
Aushiana — Google review
The smoked turkey was a real treat, lots of flavor and wasn't dry. The Cuban sandwich was really good, with soft bread, moist pork, and nicely toasted. The pulled pork was blah. The ribs were good but not as tender. The mustard sauce was flavorful. Most of the sides were pretty good too, slaw was the worst of them all no taste at all, mac n cheese was good, beans and burnt ends was nice and filling and the collards were cooked well and seasoned. Would return.

Overall: Stick with the Brisket Grilled Cheese or Skip It I've been here a few times and the place is almost always empty, which surprises me given the location and setup. I usually stick with the brisket grilled cheese—which is incredible—but this time I decided to try some new items. Unfortunately, most of them missed the mark. The tater tots were soggy, the mac and cheese was bland and dense (just like other reviews said), and the pimento balls and cornbread were both burned. I also wasn’t a fan of the ranch, which I paid extra for. That said, the brisket sandwich is still a winner—tender, flavorful, and worth coming back for. I’d also recommend the sticky ribs if you want to try something else that delivers on flavor. My family liked the patty melt as well. The outdoor seating is a plus, and I like that you can order from the window without going inside. I really want to see this area do well, but the inconsistency in the food makes it tough. Stick with the brisket or skip it.

Excellent pulled pork, and pork bean w/ burnt ends. Got the chopped brisket as well, was expecting large chopped cubes, but it came out with a fine chop. Potato salad was ok. Nice selection of sauces. Not pictured is their banana pudding. Solid 4/5

We love woods and probably come here once a week. The staff and food are exceptional and everyone is so nice. They have definitely saved us from cooking quite a few times and don’t miss the brisket grill cheese. Thank you so much woods!!

Cream corn was delicious! However the meat left more to be desired..Brisket was dry and chewy, ribs were smokey but under seasoned.. The drinks were 3/10.. Spending 85.00, the expectations were higher than the taste of food we received.
Nikiah T — Google review
I received Woods Chapel barbecue from a friend of 30 years as a recommendation. He is generally spot on with his recommendations, so I eagerly went with a friend and colleague of mine to dine. The Decor is nostalgic and reminiscent of the area that the restaurant is in it is literally in the shadow of the Georgia state universities Arena formally the Braves stadium. And the menu is robust a number of really good items. The bar is stacked really really nicely. The food, however, is Average! I love, great barbecue I love great sides. The food here at best is average! I would like to come, and then I went into the restroom. I saw the manager, checking the stalls when needed attention, and he immediately took care of it that tells me that they have service and cleanliness very high! I had the multiple meat plate and the multiple meat plate did not impressed me brisket sausage, barbecue ribs… not at all impress. The barbecue sauce is pretty good, but that’s about it. The Brunswick stew is like nothing I’ve ever had before. It was not good. I had two bites and I was done! Overall this is just a three star establishment.

DAS BBQ Grant Park is a family-friendly spot with a newly renovated patio offering ample space for both kids and adults to enjoy. The venue provides various activities like cornhole and giant Jenga, making it an enjoyable experience for all. Their slow-smoked barbecue offers a genuine family-style atmosphere, complemented by the option to tour the smoke shed. Inspired by Georgia and Texas roots, DAS BBQ serves top-notch brisket alongside other delectable menu items.
Really delicious food and wonderful atmosphere and service. It was not crowded at all on Sun around noon. The staff was so kind and even gave us a free banana pudding at the end of our meal. There’s no designated parking lot, but we found free street parking nearby. We got a brisket plate that fed 2 of us for $24. We were recommended this place by an Atlanta local, and it did not disappoint !

The BBQ was not my kind of eating. I'm from Memphis so I know what good BBQ is and this wasn't it for me. I had the chicken. It had a strong vinegar taste to me. I had the collard greens that I did not eat. However, the Mac and Cheese was pretty good. The atmosphere was very enjoyable.

I came here because I wanted to see if this location was good like the other location. The food was solid. The service was kind, but they really had their staff stretched then. I got the half-rack rib plate, with collard greens & baked beans. Everything was good, but the ribs could've been more tender. I'll come back to try that brisket.

This food was incredibly delicious. It’s evident that they take great care in smoking their meats. I particularly enjoyed their indoor bar, which offers great prices overall. The bartender was exceptional, earning a perfect 10 out of 10. My favorites from the entire menu were the smoked chicken and brisket. I’ll definitely be back!

Great place! Great food! Great decor. I have nothing but love for DAS BBQ. I was impressed by the great food and the fair prices. The staff was attentive, courteous and professional. Between the 3 in my party we tried a variety of the offerings and everything was delicious. I enjoyed the pulled pork, the brisket, the ribs and all the sides. Greens, Mac & cheese, baked beans and potato salad were all scrumptious. The 2 meat platter with 2 sides is about $22 and the 3 meat platter with 2 sides is $24. My only teeny-tiny issue was there wasn't a cornbread muffin. There is ample picnic style tables inside and the high tables outside. We all enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning.

This has been on my list for a while. I finally visited the location, and I was appalled. The restaurant was empty on a Friday evening. I ordered a pulll pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich... Literally 10 seconds after I swiped my card to pay, the food was ready. I was shocked, but I should have known better. The meat from the sandwiches were COLD. The buns were not warmed and the bread was cold, I couldn't eat it with my "sandwich". I had collards and coleslaw. The collards were unseasoned and weren't even cooked with meat broth, which was shocking for a barbecue establishment. The coleslaw was mayo and cabbage...that it! And it was warm... Warmer than the meat. I spent $42.40 for sandwich meals and 2 drinks, plus small tip due to customer service (even though I served myself). ATL is so fickle when it comes to food...I give this place maybe a year or 2 and it will be the new taco spot. 🔮
Sheika V — Google review
Food was ok. Portion size well for the price even if it’s a tad on the high side. Liked the turkey, juicy and flavorful. Mac and cheese was decent too. Brisket was a little dry and the ribs although tender were ok in flavor. Collards had good taste could just be a tad more tender. Really liked the baked beans. Would return for the turkey and sides

Anna's BBQ is a cozy local spot that serves up classic BBQ smoked meats and sides in a friendly atmosphere. Founded by Anna Phelps, a trailblazing Black woman pitmaster with no prior professional cooking experience, the restaurant has become a beloved fixture in Kirkwood. Despite the founder's retirement, the eatery continues to draw long lines of eager diners looking to savor dishes like brisket, turkey ribs, and pulled pork.
I love love this place. My husband and I had lunch here today. We drive for several miles to get there. Amazing southern dining. Cobblers, ribs, fish, home cooked vegetables. You can call ahead, hubgrub, door dash, pick up. No excuses to not support this sistah. Anna has been serving this community for a long time. The smoked Ribs are off the scale deliciousness

Far from the best bbq in Atlanta! Had to get home and doctor my food up to eat.. we got there about 30 mins before closing time but our food wasn't hot.. the muffins were stale.. the brisket seemed to be under cooked also. For $38, I expect better food! I might give it one more try at a different time of day..

Currently, the restaurant is curbside and pickup. There are lots of tables with umbrellas on the outside if you would like to enjoy your meal at the location. The smoked wings remind me of summertime and BBQs at the park. Great flavor and the smell is over the top. All the sides were well seasoned and I could eat the collard greens all by themselves. The yams were my least favorite and too soupy. The macaroni was good but in need of some moisture. I would definitely return to Anna's BBQ. I'll try the cake next time.

I absolutely love their ribs! Meat was tender and perfectly grilled (just wow), every bite was just juicy and tasty. I had ordered twice the following week and brought it to my friends! And they loved it! Would definitely recommend corn and mac and cheese to go alongside!

After seeing all the great reviews, I decided to order Anna’s BBQ on DoorDash for my family. From the first bite, I was disappointed. I ordered a 1/4 chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese, 10 piece battered wings with Mac and cheese, 2 piece whitening with fries and cold slaw, banana pudding and peach cobbler. The batter on the wings were soggy and barely had any sauce on them. The chicken sandwich was so bland. The Mac and Cheese was very disappointing in consistency and taste. The peach cobbler was okay. The fish & fries was also okay. I’m just over all disappointed and regret not ordering a pizza instead. On the bright side, the banana pudding was great!

Your boy The RIBOLOGIST, finally made it to Anna's BBQ. It's ALL GOOD 👌🏾. Small place with BIG flavor! The ribs & tips were tender, tasty with a nice seasoned charred taste. The sauce is also good. The baked beans were seasoned and sweet. Everything was good!!! More of a soul food appeal than a BBQ joint. Not the best ribs but DEFINITELY good and worth checking out. The service was good as well. Family type service. Cashier had a baby on her hip😂😂😂. Others were taking turns taking the toddler outside. Not a big deal for me. Service was well enough 😊. Caramel cake...... GREAT. Your boy The RIBOLOGIST IS OUT ✌🏾.

If you're on the hunt for a true Southern barbecue experience, look no further than Pit Boss BBQ in Hapeville. This charming eatery has become a beloved destination since its inception in 2008, drawing in locals and travelers alike with its mouthwatering pit-smoked meats and an array of house-made sides. Just a stone's throw from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, it's the perfect spot to grab lunch after landing or to enjoy with colleagues during a work break.
We enjoyed our meal. Ordered two 3 meat combos to share for 3 good appetites and were unable to finish. Great blend of hickory, oak, and pecan. For meats we had the BBQ pork, spare ribs, brisket, sausage. For sides we had mac and cheese, and beans. The sides were amazing. Not gooey or pasty. The corn bread was a little on the dry side, but good flavors. Great atmosphere and experience. Reminds me of everything I enjoy about good BBQ. Thank you

We were staying at a hotel nearby and searched for a good local BBQ spot—Pit Boss BBQ came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint! As soon as we pulled up, the incredible smoky smell hit us, and we knew we were in for something special. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the food totally delivered. I had the hot list spare ribs and wings—both were perfectly smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. My husband went for the mushroom Swiss burger and loved every bite. Great vibe, amazing food, and just a short drive from the airport hotels. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Stopped by Pit Boss BBQ on a quick trip to Atlanta and tried the loaded pulled pork fries with 3 ribs and collard greens. The fries were hearty, spicy, and piled high with fresh jalapeños. The ribs were juicy and filling, and the collard greens had serious flavor. Only downside: the music was cranked up way too loud, which made it hard to really enjoy the vibe. Solid eats, but the atmosphere needs tweaking. I'd land it at a 6/10 overall.

First time I visited this location years ago at the old building. Second time visiting at the new building with my sister Medinah. This time I got my food through Uber Eats. I really don't get a lot of different things. I stick to what I like the most. I like the smoked wings with fries and the brisket sandwich with sauce. My favorite go to entree's here. The food is delicious they give you a ranch sauce with the wings also. I got my food order on 10-22-2025.

I had the beef brisket with Mac and cheese, collard greens and corn bread. This was probably one of the top 5 best Mac and cheese I had. The collard greens were a bit salty but I liked them. The corn bread was good but a bit dry. The bbq sauce was great I got hot and it wasn’t too spicy it was just right. I would definitely go here again. The prices are a bit pricey but it definitely was a good meal I can’t complain. I had a couple of shots at the bar while I waited for my food. They had a DJ in there it was really nice atmosphere.

DBA Barbecue - Chastain is a hidden gem nestled in the charming Virginia Highlands, offering an impressive array of meats that will satisfy any barbecue lover's cravings. From succulent pulled pork to crispy wings and classic hot dogs, there's something for everyone. On warm days, their refreshing coleslaw or creamy potato salad makes for perfect sides, while a bowl of hearty Brunswick stew is ideal for those cooler evenings.
Matt with DBA was great to work with for our 150 person event. The online catering portal is super helpful for invoice review and payment. The food and service were excellent. We had pulled pork, chicken, baked beans, Mac and cheese, salad, and of course banana pudding. They even boxed up the leftovers. The guests absolutely loved i. I also quoted two other BBQ restaurants for the event and DBA was the most affordable!

This was my husband and I’s first time visiting DBA Barbecue, and we were pleasantly surprised! I’m usually hesitant about barbecue spots because they tend to be overpriced and lacking in flavor—especially in Atlanta—but this place proved me wrong. We ordered the pulled pork and asked for a recommendation, and the woman at the counter suggested the sweet barbecue wings—and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The wings were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily the highlight of our meal. We also got the Brunswick stew and mac & cheese, both of which were delicious and well-seasoned. Service was fast—our food came out within minutes, and there was no wait at all. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, making for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere exceeded our expectations.

Angie at DBA Barbuq made picking up a to-go order feel like VIP service. Even though I wasn’t dining in, she treated me with the same warm energy and attention as if I were. She had my order ready right on time, double-checked everything with care, and did it all with a big, genuine smile. Fast, friendly, and on point—that’s exactly how takeout should be handled. Angie’s the kind of employee who makes you want to come back again.

Highly recommend DBA BBQ for your next catered event. Owner, Matt was a great thought partner putting together a crowd-pleasing yet cost-effective menu. He was communicative and delivered on everything we discussed. His staff were professional and friendly and the food was delicious. It made our party a hit and we got so many compliments on the food. Thanks, DBA!

Ordered takeout for a birthday party for 65 people. Had calls all day about how this was the best event food they’ve ever had. Matt handled the planning and made it so easy and fun. Food was delivered an hour away from restaurant and was still hot. I couldn’t be happier!

The food is delicious! We have ordered from this place twice and it was tasty both times. I usually have trouble with bbq because the sides are always a disappointment - but DBA does them right. The sweet potato tots are so good and are not greasy. Same can be said of the French fries. The cream corn has a kick to it and is made with corn that is grilled first. The ribs are a must. My boyfriend had the brisket and pulled pork but I did not taste those because I was too focused on my own plate. Maybe next time!
Dannielle T — Google review
I ordered moist fatty sliced brisket and this is what I got. This was delivery from uber eats. The macaroni was unseasoned as well very dissatisfied
Lee B — Google review
Atlanta has solid BBQ options, but they all kind of blend together in your head. I tried the spicy Carolina pulled pork sandwich with collard greens. When I say this is the best pulled pork sandwich I’ve had in years, I mean it. Really, I think they’re one of the few with toasted sesame seed buns and that makes a world of difference in flavor and bite in a sandwich. The collard greens are also unbelievably good. I’ve done 100 restaurants so far this year, and this is one of the few I’d revisit, maybe along with Mamak.

Delicious place! We wanted to try some bbq and everything was great. Cozy and fun place, great service, great food. We had 6 people and ordered the group meal for $125 that had 3 meats and 3 sides. It says it feeds 4-6. The meats were plenty for us all, but the sides were pretty small, with 6 you only get like one spoonful of each side. So keep that in mind. But the coleslaw and greens were great! We had brisket, sausage and ribs. All excellent but the brisket felt a little dry, not sure if that was from the same day. You also get some pork rinds. But they smoke everything overnight. Would definitely return. We went on a weekday during lunch and it was pretty quick.

The burnt ends were really good and the sauce that came with was perfect. We ordered the cornbread to go with our meal and enjoyed it. They were offering seasonal sides so we opted for the sweet potato souffle and it was delicious. It's a shame we were too full to try the banana pudding, but we will be back when we're in town again.

Oh yes. $26 for the lunch meal and it is all the food you see here. 1/2 of meat plus chili , plus cornbread and sweat tea. This is great bbq and a great staff. So much fun and affordable. I love the house made sausage the best. The chili is a little spicy which is nice and the staff was just great. You sit at shared tables and I liked that expeirce too. Only problem is I only have one stomach to hold food.

Excellent place for a BBQ. The Bourbon drinks are quite good. Service is excellent and staff is ready to serve with a smile. Meat is good as per my non vegetarian friends. I had potato salad and mac n cheese. Both are recommended for a vegetarian diet.

We were staying at Embassy Suites and attending meetings at GWCC, so the location is close and easy to get to. This was our second attempt on Wednesday they had run out of meet early, so we went at 5pm and were able to get in. We waited 20 minutes for our table for five people. We had a large basket of tasty pork rinds dropped on the table as we reviewed the menu. Surprisingly, we all ordered the brisket sandwich with Mac & Cheese. It was great. Other people with our group sat across from us and they had the brisket Mac and Cheese and 2 meat plates. No one had any complaints, food was great. When we left, we were happy and full and smelt of smoke, there was no doubt we had been to a smoker.

I got brisket and ribs with corn soufflé and potato salad. The brisket came out cold but it had a good flavor. The ribs were tasty but not very tender. The sides were delicious. I recommend the corn soufflé! Service was friendly and quick and the place was clean.

This was an okay BBQ joint. The brisket was tender, but not super flavorful. The pulled pork was a little dry, but otherwise good. They offered three sauces - a vinegar, a "hot" Texas style BBQ, and a sweet BBQ. Would recommend the chicharon topped Mac and cheese as a side. There was a wonderful wood smoke smell coming from the kitchen though, which was lovely.

Twin Smokers wasn’t bad but nothing special. We shared the Blue Sky which came with 2 meats and 2 sides for $20+ and I got the Lynchburg Lemonade. The two meats were brisket and pork ribs with Mac and cheese and Brunswick Stew. The stew was the best thing on the plate - it was just tasty and well made. The brisket was ok - could’ve been more tender. The drink could’ve been better as well. I love they had a lot of whiskey cocktails. It’s worth checking out.

The menu offers a variety of options including sandwiches, ribs, burgers, and hot dogs. Visitors can enjoy Bar-B-Que pit plates filled with slow-cooked meats like pulled pork, smoked chicken, and beef brisket.
I was gonna be very upset if I didn't get the ribs and I was so glad I did. They make it hard though because everything on the menu sounds amazing. Loved the food and cold beers on the front porch. Shout out to Joe, great customer service. 10/10 for the ribs 10/10 for Joe Don't miss out on this gem.

Was in the area and decided to check this spot out. 1) it was pretty huge inside, plenty space and seating, the customer service was quick, the guy who took my order was nice as well 2) the food was pretty decent, you get a great amount for the price; i ate off my plate for 2 days. The taste was basic to me though. I think the ribs are pork and don’t have that smoked/grilled taste to them, but they were alright. I didn’t really care for the Mac & Cheese or the baked beans (the beans are assorted, they’re not your regular bake beans; kinda like a bean mix) but they had a good flavor to them and tasted better the 2nd day. When I looked at the chicken I was kinda annoyed at whatever sauce/seasoning they put on it cause I didn’t ask for it, but it gave it more flavor and the chicken actually became my favorite part of the meal. So overall, I’d probably try it again but it wasn’t the best for me.

Food was good but place looks a little ruff inside not upscale. Maybe like a mom and pops feel. We had chicken tenders, brisket, ribs, collard greens, bake beans and fries. Brisket was okay Ribs was good everything else was good Chicken tenders was amazing Very good pricing I would come back for sure buy don’t know expect longhorn it’s definitely a moms and pops type spot

Tried a few items off the menu. The rib tips taste boiled and lack flavor. However, I love the ribs, pulled pork and roasted chicken.

I visited the establishment for dinner and, after initially placing an order, decided to add a second meal. I intended to utilize my rewards balance for payment. The cashier processed the transaction, but I then requested to split the payment between cash and card. The cashier consulted the manager, who subsequently voided the initial order. When the cashier inquired about the status of my rewards balance, the manager assured it would be reinstated. However, upon re-processing the order, I was charged the full price and informed that my rewards balance was forfeited, with no recourse available.

I feel like this is a bit of a hidden gem. The hey day was probably when the Braves were at Turner Field but the place is still up and running. I saw it listed on one of the food apps and was shocked that it was open because I pass by often but yes, it’s still up and running. I’ve been twice since discovering this. The first time there was a large family inside possibly celebrating a birthday or graduation and the next time there was just one person dining in. Nevertheless, the food and service were consistent. The guy is nice and straightforward. No fluff or extra and that’s okay with me. He answered any questions I had including whether the tea was fresh or not. He told me that it was and that it was still warm. He was correct. The food was good. I got a pulled pork sandwich both times. The fries were good and the so was the potato salad. My son got the lemon pepper wings and fries and he liked those. The venue itself is great with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of parking, too. I think if they did more advertising or if the word got out, the line might be out the door. They have a built in market with the GSU, the capital and Grady close by. Might need to do more advertising. But I did come during the week, mid day both one time and also mid day on a Saturday. I could have missed the rush. Either way, I’m adding them to the rotation.

The service was alright, i have 1 question WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL OF THE GOOD RIB SHACKS IN ATLANTA, I remember when Atlanta had lip smacking rib places everywhere. The last good rib shack was rolling bones. I came here because i wanted some ribs and that was a waste of $100 the ribs tasted like oven baked and they used that artificial smoke as flavor, I order Brunswick stew and that was disgusting I know im showing my age but HAROLDS barbecue had real Brunswick stew. I should have known when I seen that soupy concoction they called Brunswick stew, Brunswick is supposed to be thick this was soupy and tasted like a nasty version of beef stew, I order a peach cobbler that was the blandest peach cobbler I ever had it no had taste of butter, sugar, brown sugar or cinnamon and dont get me started on the tea and lemonade I had to add my own sugar. Its like they're afraid to add sugar to the desert and tea. The only good thing i ordered was the rib tips and it was majority bones and kind of tough. My wife had complaints about her food too but I can tell about my experience and taste. Then I left a $12 tip

This might be a long review but it's a needed review so please take a few minutes to read it. I have been on Atlanta since 1999 and have tried many many barbecue restaurants based on people's recommendations and also just by finding local spots near where I lived. The food has been some good and some bad which is typically. Well about a month ago I was looking for a spot close to Atlanta and was on Google one day and say an article about best bbq spots in Atlanta and Bull Pins was mentioned, now like most people I don't believe what I read so I made the short 10 minute ride here. Now when I walked in the door the place was empty (that's never a good sign for a bbq spot) but said hey I'm here so might as well try it. Let me tell you I have been back about 6 times. I have never been to any spot that much that fast in my life. One of the things I really appreciate is not only do the ribs fall off the bones, but you don't NEED the sauce they put on the side. The ribs are perfectly seasoned, and get this, you can order 1, 3 or 6 bones and sides. What's sad is that every time I go the place is practically empty. Now if you live in Atlanta or just visiting, you have to give this place a try. I took my best friend who is from St. Louis there and he loved it, and you know they don't play about their barbecue.

Came in for a lunch date after hearing about how good pig n chicken was we decided to stop in and were blown away! Some of the best BBQ you will find not only in Georgia but in the South! They had perfect cooks on the meat and the sauces really were perfect. Their Brunswick was damn near perfect could use a small bit more meat to my taste, but flavorful and really rejuvenating. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly

What kind of BBQ joint doesn't include any BBQ sauce with an order. First time there, ordered the BBQ chicken and they gave me pulled chicken breast with no sauce!!! Not even on the side. No plastic utensils no napkins. Mumbo!!! This is what you get for $17

This venue is tucked away in the corner of a neighborhood. It can be a little difficult to turn into the parking lot. The parking lot is really small but there were not many people there. The staff was really nice. I ordered 1 rib, the Big Daddy Burger, and mac. It was a good rib with that was cooked to perfect but no seasoning. Rib is kind of fatty and needs BBQ sauce. The mac is decent. The Big Daddy is two burger patties topped with brisket and cheese. This is a big burger. I ate the brisket separately because it was a lot going on. Decent food and I will gladly come back.

We love the food from Pig 'n chicken Briarcliff.. especially the fried catfish coleslaw and collard greens.. but it seems like each time we order the price keeps going up.. unfortunately we can't continue to eat there too often because it's just gotten way too expensive for us but the food is excellent

This location has been consistent for years. The hot smoked salmon is delicious and unique since most barbecue places do not have that. The fried okra is some of the best in the city.

Best BBQ around, always cooked to perfection. Recently I had the pork sandwich with mac&cheese and cole slaw, all 5 star quality. Be sure to also get their banana pudding (they also add a moon pie).

First time here and I was blown away. Joanna made my experience a great one. She recommended all the right things. Told me the truth not just saying everything is good here..she actually told me like the crowd loves this but I think it need teaspoon sugar or something that always counts for me. Then the food was well done rib falling off the bone. The wings are great size and all cooked but not as spicy as i wanted but still better than wing stop or something...The best collard greens I've had since my mother home cooking back in New York. So thank you. I will definitely be coming back and telling others about this location.

The venue was clean and empty. Staff nice. We had a group of sixteen. We arrived at 1:15 and Happy hour was at 2:00. I tried to order tap water but they don’t have that option only bottled water. A sweet tea does not actually come in a standard cup but smaller or shorter cup which I captured in the picture. Golly it’s sweet tea. The fish bites were very salty, Mac n cheese was ok and the vegetables was good. The concept of fish bites that has bones was a terrible choice. My other associates said the food was ok but doesn’t care to return. The parking only has 6 spaces 🤦🏽‍♀️. The food came quickly it seems as soon as your order is placed it goes to the kitchen. Our drinks came after our food. I feel they nickel and dime you. $3 for a sweet tea and you get half the average size and pay for any water you want from here. First and last visit.

First time here, found out after leaving the GA aquarium and so glad we did!! Delicious food and the two barbecue sauces they had were so good! Atmosphere is kinda bar like with music and sports on TV but we had the family and it was fine sitting downstairs. If you wanna sit upstairs it's 21 and up. Food came out quickly. We had chicken wings, turkey leg, chopped barbecue, pork ribs, fried shrimp and catfish with fries, Mac n cheese, baked beans and ceaser salad, 4 waters...$110. Shout out Duke our waiter who was great!! You would miss it if you weren't looking for it and it's payed parking or street parking, so keep yours eyes open. I will definitely come back when I'm in town!

The food here is A-1!! Everything is well-seasoned and delicious. I had the oysters and the grilled shrimp with corn and collard greens. I have no complaints about any of it. I was also able to try the fried fish and macaroni and cheese, and it was really good as well. The only hiccup was not knowing that we should have gone at a different time. It was a date night and we were looking for good food and a romantic vibe...well, there was no romance, but the food was good. It’s on the same block with other night clubs, and has its own club vibe on the roof. We were shocked to have our personal belongings checked and my husband’s pockets emptied before we were permitted to walk in. I get it. Those are safety measures for the party-goers on the roof. However, we weren’t one of them. Perhaps we should go earlier in the day to avoid the “club bouncer” treatment we received to dine there, but we would definitely return for the good food and the friendly service from the wait staff.

I love Wednesday 10 for 10.... Peach panties for drinks .... The vibe is good. Nice happy hour with good specials. I've visited both for a lunch meeting and after work. Kind of small downstairs tho... The overall service is pretty good but I have ran into a poor server but management did a good job addressing the issues. They tend to be a bit slow at the bar sometimes, but overall it's a good time, great prices and good food

I ventured upon this place and decided to give it a try. I visited the restaurant after lunch time around 2pm and there was no wait. We were greeted upon entry by the waitress. It’s a small restaurant but gives you super chill vibes and provides a sense of comfort. The bartender was my server and he was super nice and checked on us multiple times throughout my dining experience. I got the BBQ chips and added shrimp to them. They were good and the shrimp was even better, as it was seasoned just right, juicy, and plump. My only recommendation would be to add more queso cheese to the chips. I also ordered a Caesar salad with blackened catfish. The salad was a nice size and had enough parmesan cheese and dressing on it. The catfish was light and moist, side note the shrimp taste much better. I would definitely come here again to check out some more items on the menu. Service was good, food was good! Only semi issue would be parking may be hard to find, if you visit during busier times other than that no complaints at all!

My new favorite casual bbq spot! I love the outdoor/indoor bar atmosphere! The music and service are always a vibe when I come. And the food is bussin!!! For those of you don’t know what bussin means, it is delicious! Very flavorful and huge portions for all of my eaters out there.

My experience was nothing short of amazing. I am so shocked that I didn’t know about this gem earlier, but I am so glad I was recommended to go here! Food was AMAZING! Not your regular soul food spot that just makes the regular grandma-like recipes. I could slap somebody about the zucchini & and squash medley and those turkey ribs 😫 I felt FULFILLED when I left. Rooftop is amazing, with a nice view of the city. They also have great Happy Hour specials too. Management, Chef, and the Staff were very polite. Can’t wait to get back there!

Shane's Rib Shack is a cozy chain restaurant that offers delicious slow-smoked BBQ and classic sides in a casual roadhouse atmosphere. With its friendly counter-service approach, this eatery provides a welcoming environment for patrons to enjoy hearty meals.
On this morning 09/15/17 I stopped by the Shane's Restaurant to purchase scrambled eggs, upon arriving this is what I saw green looking dried up eggs, The manager Kiona was running the register and selling spoiled eggs I requested fresh eggs and was told it would be awhile they have to come from another concourse in which I responded I would wait, I waited over 20 min for the eggs and I approached the manager again for a status on my order in which I had to then change it to something different. There was no apology for my inconvenience nor did she provide the Ten steps to airports customer service policy. Please do better, my coworker just had return a bad incomplete smothered pulled pork sandwich the other day for a refund after trying to reach them for days straight at their listed phone number which is never answered.

I would've gave it a lower grade if I could've. Something really needs to be done about the ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EMPLOYEES AND SERVICE THERE! I stood in line for WELL over 15 minutes watching three employees there watching me stand in line like they weren't even at work. A woman that ordered before I stood in line had to bang on the counter for someone to give her her order that had been ready, just sitting at the window getting cold. I can deal with bad to average food, but bad service is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE to me. If the employees actually "worked" and had customer service skills, I'd take that over good food. That place is the absolute WORST restaurant in the airport. And it's because of the dreadful employees. If you need me to describe them I will. Anything you need, I'd testify.

Terrible customer service need to be closed down I ordered the grits eggs sausage and toast the grits ands eggs was put in separate containers and the bread and toast was out separate bags instead of a plate when I ask about it she said I didn’t ordered it on a plate nastily.. NEVER WILL I SPEND A PENNY AGAIN .. all the reviews are bad here and the whoever is responding to the reviews has to be a Joker because nothing is being done about this place. CLOSE IT DOWN!!!!

I wish I could give them no stars! Poor customer service. The food is horrible and way to salty. I miss the old crew their food tasted way better. The new crew they have now is horrible the food was to salty and not to mention under cooked as well. I called like 5 times before someone answered, after someone answered the phone “the manger” had the nerve to have an attitude because I told him my food was under cooked. Never again and I work at the airport.
Shequanna B — Google review
The meat is horrible....they burn up the chicken and put burnt meat in the sandwiches. The chicken is so big it looks like baby turkey wings. The only thing worth getting are the sides. The customer service is not good at all. Today was my last time ordering anything from this location. This food cost too much money for me to get to work and see that I should have never stopped there in the first place. 12.00 down the drain

I usually eat at Shane's but with my latest experience I have no desire to waste my money @ Shane's or the I Hop in the Atlanta Airport. I had a problem with my order so I asked for a partial refund. The Cashier had.me waiting for over ten plus minutes. I question her again she said someone was coming from the back. They came and said they could refund my order because someone went home with the card. They went over to the I Hop and got a Supervisor name Carmeron. He came over he could refund my money. I told him the situation was unacceptable I've been waiting going on a hour it seemed to me. He looked at the receipt and said actually your recipient says you was rung up at 6:42 it's now 7:12 pm. He stood there and start showing the receipt two other cashiers saying look is this an hour. I was so embarrassed because he's doing this while other customers are waiting in line. I then told him to refund all my money back to my credit card. Bad customer service and bad management. My Dollar Matters.

The only good thing here was the cashier, Selena. The wings were over done and salty. Literally, out of the thirty-five wings i ordered only six were edible. I waited fourty minutes for a single batch of fries that were not only forgotten once, but twice! This is the first time i've had this type of service with this restaurant, unacceptable! And the girl in the back, Candice, is rude and unacceptable. Her nasty comments can be heard from the back . I strongly suggest not visitng this location.

Rodney Scott's BBQ is a must-visit spot for delicious barbecue. The 3 meat platter with turkey, brisket, and ribs is a standout, along with the smoked wings and pulled pork. Sides like french fries, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and moist cornbread complement the meats perfectly. The loaded double potato topped with juicy pork is a satisfying meal on its own. While some dishes like the pimiento cheese could be improved, overall everything was fantastic.
Great place to eat...The very first time my boyfriend and I ate here it was at dinner time we both had the turkey club sandwich. It WAS AMAZING,TASTY AND FRESH. The service was awesome. As a result we decided to come back... this time for lunch... the service was ok this time however the food was not as great for lunch as it was for dinner...All I ask is that you all make the experiences match. We came back expecting the same greatness we had the first time and sadly you all feel a little short during the lunch rush unfortunately...BUT we will be back because the food is GREAT!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Rodney Scott’s Barbecue in Atlanta, and it was an unforgettable experience! AJ checked up on us and was fantastic. He gave us an in-depth behind-the-scenes tour of the kitchen, showcasing how everything is made from scratch and introducing us to the heritage hogs hanging in the freezer. I had the southern style pulled pork sandwich. 👌🏾 The food was delicious! The banana pudding and apple pie, made fresh daily, were mouthwatering. The mac and cheese had a unique twist with a unique shaped pasta, and the hush puppies were perfectly crispy. I also enjoyed a local IPA that paired wonderfully with everything. The onion rings were a standout as well—crispy and perfectly balanced, with the onion staying inside the batter for each bite. Overall, Rodney Scott’s Barbecue is a must-visit for anyone who loves great barbecue and exceptional hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Ordered the southern pork plate (shredded pork - no sauce, coleslaw collard greens) and banana pudding. The take out service was fine, had to wait as online/DoorDash orders were before mine. I had already planned to fly this home so I wasn't going to eat the pork but did eat the spicy pickles on top, its a good spicy doesn't linger too long. The cole slaw is also flying but tasted it, its not what I'm used to when you say cole slaw, it had a spicy bite to it. Since I'm flying had to drain out the liquid. The collard greens weren't my cup of tea, used to something with a southern flavor. Ate them but wouldn't order again if I had the chance. Now, the banana pudding, that was all forms of wrong. The cookies were put on top, like a garnish instead of the base. Had no sliced bananas and the pudding was just lacking didn't even taste like banana pudding. I may be from the north (NYC) but I was raised on North Carolina cooking. And none of this minus the pork (yet) tasted nothing like Southern cooking or even fake southern cooking. This was a big $25 failure. Maybe their ribs are okay but since I'm leaving in 24 hours I'll never know. But if Rodney is willing to ship a sample to me, I would try it and give an honest opinion. But as of right now, if I was staying another day I would be looking to try food somewhere else. Sorry, Rodney Scott but truth is truth, and when it comes to food no one wants a lie.

One cashier was very friendly and nice, The individuals at the pick -up counter were nice too. The mac and cheese , collard green's were good. The downside: I didn't like the fact that banana pudding is instant pudding with a few bananas but has the price of homemade! I didn't like the cornbread muffin. The ribs I had was basically just fat and the meat portion was dried out. I was looking for tenderness.
My E — Google review
The barbecue is pretty good, but the standout here is the sides. The cornbread is delicious, and they have probably the best hush puppies I've ever had. All very filling, two people could probably share a plate. I didn't see any other reviews mention it, but it's counter service and seat yourself, so would work well for a large party

I've wanting to try this bbq ever since I saw the many Rodney Scott specials or documentary's on him and it was worth it. Pulled pork was tender and full of flavor along with the signature sauce. Baked beans were also delicious as was the banana pudding!! Service was also great staff was friendly and attentive.

I visited back in 2022 for the first time. My bro saw the video of the SC location years ago and said that he wanted to check it out. I told him that he didn't have to worry because Atlanta GA has a location. Something came up so he could not drive us here today. I got my food through Uber Eats on 11-8-2025. I got a single burger with fries and a order of chicken wings with honey mustard is delicious and a banana pudding. Banana pudding is okay but not for me. I got a first cousin who makes a double banana pudding from scratch and this doesn't come close. This is pudding and slices of bananas and vanilla wafers.

1st time eating here & very disappointed. I paid $35 for the beef brisket platter with a drink, Mac & cheese & a side salad. Out of the brisket I was given, only 2 small pieces were actually meat, everything you see in this picture is all pieces of fat, so definitely wasted my time & money. The mac & cheese was very small & all of the sauces were nasty they all taste like vinegar. Collsrd greens & beans have pork in them so couldn't try those. Most likely won't be back don't waste your money like I did if you're looking for beef brisket.

Found this spot on Google and decided to take a leaf of faith. It turned out to be a disappointment. Typically, BBQ shacks like these with wood fire smokers are the best. Unfortunately , not this one. We got a 6 ribs diner ($26), and a braise chicken dinner ($12) The ribs were dry and chewy, I had a hard time swallowing the meat. The chicken tasted ok. The BBQ sauce was good. Overall, the taste is decent, but i couldn't get over the quality of meat, tasted like low end meat. I ended up tossing thr chicken dinner, and I almost never throw away food! For the price, I think you can better BBQ/ soul food else where.

I don’t know where to start, like many things and places in this great city of Atlanta, Wyatt’s has definitely changed and not for the better. I wanted to give it another chance since I was on that side of town. I had it not too long ago and was disappointed in the quality, price and the service. For starters, every side I asked for, I was told they did not have, yet it was listed on the sides menu…I was totally confused. I asked for a BBQ chicken dinner with potato salad and Mac n cheese. I was told they did not have the potato salad. Then when I said just the chicken and Mac n cheese, the lady repeated it and said in a condescending manner “So you don’t want a dinner then, you just want chicken and Mac n cheese” so then I said well let me get baked beans…and they did not have baked beans… 😒. So I paid $19 and some change for a chicken leg quarter, a large Mac n cheese and a small peach cobbler. The quality of food has changed since I last frequented there in the early-mid 2000’s. Idk if the ownership has changed since, but it is definitely not the same as I remember. Tragic.

Yall! Best country cooking I’ve had in the area. The food is delicious, the portions are more than fair, and the price is low! What more could you ask for? All this for only $31. Don’t judge a book by its cover, because this place will pleasantly surprise you and have you wanting to come back for more. The staff are very welcoming and pleasant too!

I had a craving for BBQ earlier and wanted to try a new, less “commercialized” restaurant. The fact that this is a Black owned spot made it even better. I was not disappointed (other than by the 30 minute drive it took in Sunday ATL traffic to get there). The ribs were tasty, the greens were just right and the mac & cheese was super creamy. I really enjoyed the service I received as well, so the negative reviews are interesting to see. I’d definitely come back!

Came here back in 2018 by accident after getting a little lost. Took a chance and it paid off. Not only some of the best soul food I've ever had in my life, but arguably one of my top five establishments. Absolutely recommend for anyone looking to get a real taste of Atlanta.

This place is a must stop. The people who work there are so friendly, and the portions are generous. I had the ribs, and my friend had the pig ears. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some serious barbecue.

The food is soooo good and they serve large portions too. I am so glad that my daughter introduced me to this place for soul food because it is one of the best I’ve ever had.

Smoky Kitchen BBQ is a late-night spot that offers flavorful food at reasonable prices. Despite some waiting times, the delicious offerings like ribs, chicken, wings, Mac and cheese, baked beans and Cajun pasta make it worth the wait. The food truck's high demand may lead to longer lines but the amazing food makes up for it. While there is room for improvement in terms of waiting times and communication about order readiness, the fresh and tasty dishes are definitely a highlight.
Started going here over a year ago. Their hours are definitely not my favorite—they only open from 11:30 P.M. to 4:00 AM, which can be inconvenient if you're craving BBQ earlier in the day. Despite this, the food usually makes up for the limited schedule. I stopped visiting for a while when they started giving smaller portions of rib tips and began throwing in slices of bread with the meal. It just didn’t feel worth it anymore. But recently, I had a craving and decided to give them another shot. I ordered the loaded cheesesteak fries, and I was glad I did. The combination of meat, bell peppers, onions, and melted cheese was absolutely delicious! Their jerk chicken is another standout dish—it’s always packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Not too spicy at all. Even better, my husband and I were able to share the meal boxes for dinner and still had leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day. The portions were generous this time around, and we both loved the flavors. Smoky Kitchen BBQ still has some of the best-tasting food in town when they get it right, and for that, I love it.

The food was amazing and the staff were nice. However, my issue was the wait time. I ordered online around 11:30pm. My pick up time was 12am. Then, a couple minutes later, they changed my pickup time again to 12:30am. I arrived there at 12:25am. It took them until 1:20am to finally have my food ready for me. The terrible wait time aside, the food was delicious and a good portion size for the price.

The food here is very good, however, they are very slow and the customer service is horrible. I've been partially homeless for a while, but I've supported this business many times when I had funds to do so and at the end of the night when they're closing, they will lie and say they have nothing left while still taking orders (pretending to be fully closed) because they'd rather take what's left home with them and that's not ok. Making the money shouldn't be all it's about. It's a crying shame that our ppl (African Americans) won't even help their own in the community.
Jane D — Google review
The overall portion has decreased to 1/2 compared to 3 months ago. Taste and service were perfect, but it's sooooo small now.. Sad'bout I won't visit here again🥲 It was my best night before, but now I can see the bottom of the plate even I didn't touch it

Barbecue restaurant
Hattie Marie's Texas BBQ is a modest Southern eatery in College Park that offers a taste of authentic Texas barbecue with a hint of Louisiana influence. The menu features slow-smoked brisket, juicy chicken, perfectly smoked wings, and giant dino beef ribs. Inspired by the owner's family roots in Port Arthur, Texas, the restaurant aims to bring an authentic taste of Southern barbecue to the community. The friendly atmosphere and delicious offerings make it a great spot for families and BBQ enthusiasts alike.
I've drove pass here a few times and decided to try it out. Me and my son came on a Tuesday evening, not busy at all and food came out in a decent time. I ordered the chicken plate with mac and cheese and bake beans. My son also got a kids chicken plate with fries, which was free. Kids eat free with the purchase of a adult plate. Everything was good except the Mac and cheese, it was very bland. Overall good food and customer service.

Wife wanted to go because it was IG famous. It looked the part (of a well known BBQ joint with all the flair). The service left much to be desired (no attitudes or anything) & the food tasted like slow cooked BBQ from any other establishment. Bathroom wasn't working/locked so there was nowhere to wash hands & no hand sanitizer dispensers. This is a problem in sticky BBQ restaurants; at least have the little towelettes. When staff brought the sauce bottle, it very loose (without me knowing), so I doused my entire plate with sauce, which eventually gave me an upset stomach (too much vinegar). The brisket was soft, the baked beans were sweet, but lacked any underlying flavor. The collard greens & macaroni cheese were seasoned well. Prices didn't justify the experience, but I was able to support a black business.
Brandon C — Google review
Ehh! The collard greens and cabbage was good. My bread slices were dry. Ribs are just ok. They’re huge. BBQ sauce is good. Mac and cheese, ehh!! The shrimps were very good. Free refill when dining in. Tables needs replacing. They wobble. Good portion size for the price. Cash only. Came from Illinois and expected more.
Venita N — Google review
Good food and great friendly service. The portions are on the money especially the ribs. The Mac and cheese was top notch but the standout performer is the Sweet tea. That stuff is addictive and once they sell out there is no more being bad. The butter sauce for the fried lobster tail is hands down the greatest and I recommend putting it on everything you can. It can get crowded but the line moves along and be warned fried lobster takes forever so call it in as someone has to wait almost 25 minutes for the sole item.
B. N — Google review
I been here previously for bbq. I got to say that the brisket sandwich 🥪 with fries is one of my favorite dishes from here. I got The Dino Beef Rib several times from here. It's big and smoked. I think maybe they can use a rub to make it more juicy all around from the meat to the fat and it will enhance and add more flavor to it. Other than that they are on point 🎯 . I got The Dino Beef Rib to go. I got the seafood to dine in. First time for the seafood. I went here previously and no lobster tail was available. Biggest best fried lobster 🦞 tail I ever had from a restaurant. I also got the fried catfish and the jumbo shrimp.

Hattieeeeeee!!! Honeyyyy let me tell you, this food was SO good! We got the 3 meat plate with ribs, pulled pork, and sausage. That rib babyyyy was everything. The sausage was delicious and the pulled pork was flavorful. Now I will say the pulled pork was a little on the dry side but it tasted really good and we just put some of the bbq sauce on it and that did the trick. We got baked beans, collard greens, and mac and cheese. The beans were sooo good. The collards had a little spice to them so the kids didn’t really like them, said they were too spicy. I was not a fan of the mac and cheese. The kids, however, liked it. I could do without it…it wasn’t very cheesy, almost like we got the last of the pan. We also got a waffle because that’s what my kids wanted. I didn’t taste the waffle but my kids said it was good and they ate it all. The staff was very nice and friendly and the restaurant was clean, even with it being pretty crowded. The wait tho! Omg felt like we waited 2 hours for our food. I wasn’t tripping really tho because they were pretty busy. My kids want to come back next weekend so guess where we’re going next weekend lol see next week Hattie Marie’s!!

I drove 4 hours with two of my girlfriends to try this place out. We choose this place based on reviews on IG. Some of those reviews have to be fake. Based on our experience from what we saw and ate. They have security at the door who was pretty cool. He tells us on Saturdays it’s CASH only and they have a ATM in the back. No where listed on the website does it say this. If so we would’ve planned accordingly. That’s problem #1. We ask the gentleman about the crab legs how they taste he like they don’t have any. Again no sign posted. That’s problem #2. Next we each place our order and take our seat. After 40 minutes no food. The place is not packed during the time frame we arrived. We ask a lady that’s passing out food to check on ours since people after us having gotten food. Finally she comes with the food and we still have to wait for one of my friends Lobster tails. The lady seemed to be bothered and gave an excuse of she pulled 3 she don’t know what happened that the owner was in the back cooking. So as we proceed to taste the food. The greens were watered down they didn’t drain them. The mac n cheese no seasoning. The sausage had no cheese or jalapeños in it. Problem #3 we ask the lady she says oh the company didn’t make the delivery. Also they don’t have that sausage today. Now you have false advertising going on. No sign listed again about what you don’t have. You are letting people order the sausage thinking it’s one thing and it’s not. So she offers to bring out a substitute. They have no more chicken so we go with the ribs. Over all experience for the cost was definitely a 3.. not worth the 4 hour drive. Chicken was dry. Only good thing was the Lobster tail, Cat fish & shrimp Deeply disappointed from NC…
Montoria K — Google review
Good barbecue, Mac and cheese has the homemade taste, greens are seasoned well, potato salad was ok (not my favorite) and the shrimp was a little over done. They did not have any dessert (5pm on a Tuesday afternoon) and the only thing I didn’t like is how smoky it is inside. It is very overbearing. After about a half hour my eyes started to burn so I had to take it to go and you could still smell it on your clothes and in your hair.

Food was absolutely fantastic. Smoked to perfection and the meat was falling off the bone. All the sides were impeccable - between our party we had baked beans, collard greens, potato salad and coleslaw and every single one was great. The service was quick and kind. Highly recommend!

The food at this barbecue spot was absolutely delicious and generously portioned— definitely come hungry! The cornbread is to die for; I’m still kicking myself for not getting more than one. And the chocolate cake? Criminally good. Everything was reasonably priced, and I dined in. My only gripe is that it wasn’t very cool inside the restaurant, which made the dining experience a bit less comfortable. Still, the flavors more than made up for it. I’ll be back—next time for extra cornbread!

Hits every time! I just tried the smoked wings for the time. Listennnnnn! They are everything! I was not expecting juice to roll down my chin 🤤. First time trying the smoked salmon as well. It was moist and flavorful; cooked to perfection. Fresh, homemade banana pudding was 🫶🏼. All the sides and half chicken were on point as usual. If I lived closer, I’d be there weekly, at least! 🖤

Came back today. This is a yearly thing as I am only here once a year. Ordered the whole nine platter. OMG, just like I remembered. Delicious smoked meats. Got brisket, a sausage, a huge rib with bologna on a bun with a side of collard greens. I hope to be back next year. This place is great

We stopped here for the first time and we were very happy!! Got tender ribs, amazing bologna/sausage/beef, and tasty wings! I could drink the sweet sauce and the spicy was just the right heat. The beans were great and I loved the collard greens. Corn bread was tasty and soft. Definitely worth it!!

We opted to come here before heading to our game. Glad that we did! I ended up with the Pork shoulder chopped sandwich with a side of collard greens. My spouse ended up trying the brisket sandwich with baked beans. My pulled pork sandwich was delicious. I love the freshness and flavor of the pulled pork and the bread. My greens tasted good but just seemed to have a lot of stems. The baked beans were heaven sent. Super flavorful and delicious.

If you're searching for a genuine barbecue experience, look no further than Owens & Hull at Grand Champion in Smyrna. This gem, founded by passionate pitmasters Robert Owens and Bryan Hull, offers an inviting atmosphere complemented by a lovely patio for outdoor dining. They take pride in using locally sourced Georgia oak to smoke their meats, resulting in dishes that are nothing short of spectacular.
Wow, this is maybe the best BBQ we’ve ever had. Everything was extremely flavorful and well seasoned, not one thing we are needed anything, it was all — dare I say — perfect! Also, the bread pudding was out of this world! I cannot recommend this enough, the price is so worth it though a little on the high side. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location allows dogs and has a lovely outdoor area by the river. We will be back as soon as we can!!

Very clean restaurant. The line can be a little slow. Food comes out in good time. You have to know what days they are serving what items. Today I got the ribs, bread pudding, and beef cheek chili. The beef cheek chili was exceptional with a little spice that I loved . The pickles and onions are great with it and I wish the bread was butter toasted, but it is good Martin’s light bread. They have all the condiments and napkins you need. Great service, they’ll explain anything. The ribs-Picture perfect-great tenderness falling off the bone, but not too soft. It was literally perfect bite. It’s not knock ya socks off-but I’d recommend & come back. I could’ve used a little more barbecue smoke flavor, but it was delicious. Everything was fair priced/good portion. The coleslaw was just ok. It helped to cut the chili. I see they’re not known for sides. They have daily specials that are interesting and good options. The bread pudding is tasty. A good firmer option to have along with their other two puddings with no bread in them. I wish the to-go bag size kept the food square/upright. I never pay to park even though it suggests it outside. They have a bar drink area in the back if you’re looking for that. I like that it’s separate so that it doesn’t slow up the line. Some couch area seating looks stained and should be replaced/cleaned. Cafeteria style seating/perfect for BBQ nice clean environment outside connected to apartment living. you can tell you’re on a nice cut out side of town.

First time visiting this restaurant with my brother on 10-11-2025. He drove and we were ready I didn't have anything to eat prior. He got a beef rib and a half slab of ribs and a sweet ice tea. I got a beef rib and a small Mac and cheese and a brisket sandwich with sauce on the side sweet. This is a experience at this place creme de la creme! Delicious, juicy, tasty moist and flavorful food kind of describes this food! The plaque on the wall says top 10 in Atlanta GA. They probably can drop the zero like Ric Flair says when the smoke clears! Pull up and get some bbq! I ate at almost every bbq place in the city and on the outskirts it's levels to this!Oh yeah parking is $5 00 for 2 hrs. Go up to place your order and scan the barcode on the right for discount parking and it's free parking is validated here!
Ahmad W — Google review
Okay so if I was just walking in I would think it was really good and far above average. The pricing is on point and I think the brisket and sides are way better than they normally are at places. Especially the sides. But Texas monthly and antsbbq I expected elite and got there 15 min after open on a Friday and it took two hours to just order and another ten min to get the food. (The wait doesn’t bother me but for the size of the line I feel like it moved wildly slow) Brisket was perfectly cooked but sliced too thick, like an inch on some pieces like comically huge Sausage flavor was there but it was barely even warm almost and a little tough or the casing was too thick. I did like the special chorizo sausage more than the jalapeño. They were already out of garlic sausage when I ordered. Beef cheeks were completely without flaw Cheese grits were perfect, banana pudding was a little runny but incredible, Mac and cheese was incredible Most of my issues were nitpicking but with the recognition and the long wait I would want everything to be perfect to make it worth it.
Mark B — Google review
I had heard this place was good but it is hands down one if the top best BBQ places in Atlanta! We tried a variety of their food and I would recommend the ribs and coleslaw! When they talk about selling out quick on Saturday, they are not joking. We ordered for pick up and there was already a line almost wrapped around the building at 11:15 am (they open at 11:30 am). There was a line inside the building from then until 1 pm when we left. Highly recommend ordering ahead of pick-up. There is paid parking but they do validate.
Deborah C — Google review
Amazing bbq! I got the jalapeno cheddar sausage and lemon pepper link and both were amazing. The beef cheeks were a hit and so was the brisket. All of the sides and service was spectacular!
Annie H — Google review
Everything was amazing. Literally everything we could get, we tried. Collards, mac, that beef cheek gumbo on rice (sorry I don’t know the name), sliced brisket — smoky and tender, chopped brisket— tender mixed in sauces very tasty, chorizo + Oaxaca cheese sausage — was a very delicious and tastes of corn tortilla and cheese and peppers. We got the desserts which were divine.
Andrew M — Google review
This place is a little different: you have to get in line and order at the counter and then find a place to sit. The food came witin 10 minutes of ordering and was nothing less than spectacular. Yes, it's "just" BBQ, but the best BBQ I ever had. Tender, perfectly seasoned and a joy to feast on. So the wait in the beginning to order your food is well worth it. And the side dishes are superb as well, seasoned to the point, not too much, not too little. Go there and make your taste buds happy!

Grand Champion BBQ is a convenient spot near apartment complexes, offering decent BBQ and friendly staff. The smoked chicken and sides are okay, but they often run out of beef ribs and brisket despite being on the menu. The place is clean with great customer service, although some dishes like collard greens and baked beans are just average. However, the wings are highly recommended. It's connected to Reformation brewery for a complete dining experience by the Chattahoochee River.
The food was great but we were starving so we got the big platter that came with a little of everything. My favorite was the ribs and brisket, hers was the ribs and the sausage. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Great customer service and it was very clean throughout the place. The meat was very good and it was very tender. However, the collard greens and baked beans were just average. Lastly, the food wasn’t really hot. 2nd visit - I had to another star because the wings are really that good and they are a nice size.

I am changing my review from 2 stats to 5. And here’s why… I was frustrated. I tried to eat here 4 times and succeeded 0. They’re stupid busy. They run out of food. I was annoyed. But I spoke to the owner by accident. Happened to bump into him outside the store while I was next door at Reformation for beer. He is genuine. He is working hard. And he’s trying. He knows it’s frustrating and he’s tried to make every attempt to help solve the problem. But at the end of the day, he’s doing the best he can. The food is stupid good. Straight up. It’s worth the wait if you can spare the time. And I appreciate his work effort and empathy. And of course, his masterful approach to bbq. Try this place. Even if it takes a few tries.

Wow! Simply wow! The atmosphere and ambience was absolutely amazing here. Great feelings, good vibes and amazing Customer Service. The food was so flavorful and tasty that as soon as my plate was set before me.... I started to eat immediately, not even realizing that I was going to need to do a review and I wouldn't have a picture for it. This review still must go on. I would highly recommend this place for a social gathering or simple afternoon and/or night eating. The group that I was with today ordered a variety of things from the menu and no one had any complaints. Everyone thought that the food was extremely tasty. Go and support this business as soon as you can.

Food was good. I got a slab of ribs, 1/2 lbs of brisket, pulled pork, and both sausages. Only issue i had was i only got 10 bones and thats not a full slab. The slab was 40 dollars so I would have like to get the full 12.
Godssonovo B — Google review
I love the brewery next door, but not a super fan of this BBQ. I actually go out of my way to eat elsewhere and come to the brewery after. Ordered the BBQ plate, which looks like the photos accompanying this reviews. Sides are collard greens and Mac n cheese. The collard greens are ok. The mac n cheese, which is a “premium” side, is truly abysmal. Honestly the worst mac n cheese I have ever tried. There is almost no cheese, and the pasta is over cooked (and completely the wrong shape for this type of serving). It was served very sloppily - touching the metal trays which probably do not get washed after every customer (even if they do, food is not supposed to directly touch them). The pulled pork tastes pretty good. It only comes with one piece of white sandwich bread, which I don’t really get. Maybe it’s a southern thing; I grew up in the south but I’m not especially well-versed in BBQ norms. I personally don’t prefer white bread with my BBQ, but that’s personal preference. Overall, it’s just ok. If I ate here again, I’d just get the pulled pork itself. Avoid the mac n cheese at all costs.

Father’s Day Experience Arrived around 3:30pm on a Sunday, maybe 4 customers ahead of us with it being my Mother’s first time and my third time, happy to have the menu posted on the wall but disappointed that an announcement wasn’t made that only 2 options were available, now customers have to decide at the register what they want after having their decision already made and being their first time. We were only left with 2 options ( turkey or pork sandwich ) and 4 sides ( collards, chips, chilli & cole slaw ) with not one suggestion. When you work at a smaller establishment, employees should help with suggestions if asked. This partial employee didn’t help with suggestions knowing the full menu wasn’t available. His response “ we have been busy all afternoon “ …. What does that have to do with helping someone make a decision? If you want someone’s business, you help someone make a decision instead of saying “ I don’t know “ .. I’ve worked in customer service for 15yrs and management for 13 of those years. Train your employees on how to make suggestions. My first time eating at this establishment the employee helped us make suggestions knowing, it was my first time and even gave us a sample of the banana pudding, just being kind to us. With that being said as we were walking off my mother wanted to make a separate purchase to take home but once again that option wasn’t available because no one made that announcement, the person behind us made a nasty comment about how we need to hurry up and MOVE IT .. It was uncalled for but that could’ve been prevented if someone would’ve stated to everyone in line that only 2 options are available. I will not be back after that experience. Great food but that experience turned me off from coming back.

From half racks of ribs to garlic Parmesan turkey wings, every dish is a delight. The collard greens and ox tail macaroni and cheese are also standout sides that keep patrons coming back for more.

Outstanding!!!! The sides and the meat absolutely worth standing in line! You don’t even need the sauce! Just that good! I got the rib tips, collard greens, bake beans, cornish hen, and smoke wings! Everybody loved it!!!!

I really like Stan’s place, but today not so good! Ribs could’ve been smoked longer, Mac and cheese with oxtail , nah flavor so so pasta to soft and flavor of oxtail wasn’t there. Greens okay as well as the red beans w/rice! A little disappointed after the long drive to get there!
Ginnie S — Google review
Good food but super slow. Got there at 12:03( opens at 12). Was a line of over 20 people and I stood in line for one hour and forty minutes. Ridiculous. It’s like the lines moves every 20 minutes or so. This is truly outrageous. Need to streamline his process. What if he actually had a restaurant…
