Gardens
The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a 30-acre oasis in the heart of the city, offering a diverse range of attractions for visitors. From its stunning conservatory and enchanting fountains to hosting events like concerts and cocktail parties, it's a popular destination for families and nature enthusiasts alike. The garden is renowned for its world-class plant collections, captivating exhibitions, and unique features such as the Fuqua Orchid Center, showcasing rare high-altitude orchids.
Fantastic garden! Worth the day trip as a date with your partner, your parents or your kids — fun for all ages and group sizes. 🕣 Time spent: 2 hours (not including snack breaks or lunch onsite) The grounds were BEAUTIFUL! Carefully curated and manicured. Walking along the different areas was fun and the most breathtaking part was the conservatory — the 3 different climates housed in there was incredible and the size of the trees, you know they have been in there happy and healthy! ☕️ We even stopped for a food demo at the herb garden and were pleasantly surprised. The chef hosting that day was hilarious and knowledgeable — she had a great personality and taught us about eating (rather, drinking) fig leaf tea! ☀️ Time of year to visit: We unfortunately came at an in between while visiting Atlanta in which they just closed the Alice in Wonderland installation and were building the fall pumpkin themed area — which was closed to the public. It would have been nice is the tickets were discounted since part of the grounds were not accessible during the installation process. 🕐 Wait time: We visited at opening 9 am on a Sunday in late September. The line was minimal (10 min) and the grounds were at a comfortable business. The later in the day around 12, the crowds and lines were definitely more noticeable.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a true gem and a fantastic escape right in the heart of Midtown. This 30-acre urban oasis beautifully blends stunning horticulture with world-class art, offering a dynamic experience for everyone. Highlights You Can't Miss The Earth Goddess: The centerpiece, a massive, living topiary sculpture, is an absolute showstopper. Kendeda Canopy Walk: Stroll 40 feet above the Storza Woods on this unique treetop suspension bridge for incredible views. Fuqua Orchid Center: Marvel at one of the country's most extensive collections of orchids, including rare high-elevation varieties. Art and Exhibits: The gardens are peppered with impressive art, including beautiful glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly and fascinating seasonal exhibits. A Garden for All Seasons The Garden is wonderful year-round, with diverse exhibition areas like the Japanese Garden, Rose Garden, and the tropical Fuqua Conservatory. It also hosts popular seasonal events, such as the colorful "Atlanta Blooms" in the spring and the enchanting "Garden Lights, Holiday Nights" in the winter. Whether you're a serious plant enthusiast, looking for a tranquil date spot, or seeking a fun family outing—especially with the award-winning Children's Garden—the Atlanta Botanical Garden is a well-maintained, lush, and inspiring destination that's definitely worth a visit.

🌸 Atlanta Botanical Garden: A Whimsical Wonderland in Bloom This was truly something I enjoyed! The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a lush, enchanting escape nestled in the heart of the city. From the moment you enter, you’re greeted with a refreshing cocktail and a sense of magic in the air. The “Alice in Wonderland” theme added a playful, storybook charm—giant mushrooms, whimsical sculptures, and floral displays that felt straight out of a dream. Even with the heat, the beauty of the gardens and the creativity in every corner made it worth wandering. It’s more than a park—it’s a living gallery of nature and imagination. A perfect spot to slow down, sip something sweet, and let your senses bloom.

This was our first time visiting Atlanta, and the botanical garden was on our bucket list. My wife and I really enjoyed walking through all the different themed areas, the whole place was super clean and well taken care of. They gave us a map at the entrance that made it easy to find our way around, which helped a lot since the park is pretty big. The highlight for us was the indoor garden area. It was full of unique plants, facts, and displays—definitely our favorite part and something we’ll remember. We saw plants we’ve never seen before and learned a lot too. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d for sure come back again in the future. Note: save $4 by buying ticket online but processing is $2.50 per ticket. You have to pay additional for parking on site. Date: October 2025 Fee: $33+ tax online per person Parking: $13 (4hrs) Time: 3-4 hours Clean: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crowd: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Interactive/Education: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved my visit to the Atlanta Botanical Garden! It’s a large and beautiful place to walk around and explore. Depending on the season you visit, you’ll get a different experience. I went during Halloween, and everything was perfectly themed for fall — such a lovely atmosphere! One of my favorite parts was the Fuqua Orchid Center, absolutely stunning! Still, every area of the garden is worth admiring — the flowers, trees, and plants from so many different species make it a magical place. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some frogs in one of the sections! It’s a wonderful and family-friendly spot to enjoy nature and relax. I truly recommend it! 🌸🌳🍁 Also I’m visiting from Florida.

🌺 ATL Botanical Garden – A Jedi Master's Retreat Among Flora and Fantasy 🌿 Tranquility found, in the heart of Atlanta it is. Wandered into the ATL Botanical Garden I did, and emerged hours later fully immersed in a world where the Force flows not from kyber crystals—but from orchids, fountains, and sculpted artistry beyond imagination. The vibrant displays of orchids will ignite your senses like twin suns at dawn, while artful topiaries and glowing glass installations will make even the most seasoned Jedi pause and admire. Nature and creativity here dance in harmony like a well-executed lightsaber form. 🌸 Whether you're here to meditate among the greenery, chase younglings through the whimsical Children’s Garden, or stroll along the canopy walk with the wisdom of Yoda whispering in your ear, there’s something for all beings of the galaxy. ⚠️ Important quest you must complete: Do not miss the Alice in Wonderland displays—an enchanting floral takeover that runs only until September 14th. From blooming chess pieces to larger-than-life topiary characters, it’s a wonderland even the White Rabbit wouldn’t dare to rush through. 🌳 The entire space is a botanical adventure—interactive, beautifully maintained, and bursting with seasonal magic. A must-visit for photographers, families, couples, or travelers simply seeking peace. 💬 Final Verdict: A garden, this is not. A living Force temple, it is. Go, you must—and let your senses bloom.

This is a truly great garden, and I've visited quite a few! The unparalleled effort dedicated to their conservatory is immediately apparent and makes it a standout attraction. I particularly enjoyed the tranquility of the space, enhanced by the many calming walking paths. Beyond the beauty, the educational aspects are well-done and engaging. It's well worth a stop if you find yourself in the area.
Kyle P — Google review
I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't a bunch of already dead or dying plants. I'll chalk that up to the fact the season is changing but for a place that deals with flowers it shouldn't have that. Just my opinion. It had the Alice in Wonderland theme in some parts and they looked amazing. The singing flowers were the cutest. The scenes were nice but it was kinda boring. It's a great place for pictures tho. Lots of walking and if you get there early park on the top deck. It leads straight to the garden.

Park
Nature & Parks
Nestled between Atlanta's vibrant Midtown and the charming Virginia-Highland neighborhoods, Piedmont Park is a sprawling 189-acre urban oasis that invites both locals and visitors to unwind. This beautifully designed park, originally crafted by Joseph Johnson and later enhanced by Central Park's Frederick Law Olmsted, offers a plethora of recreational activities. From jogging paths and basketball courts to dog parks and picnic areas, there's something for everyone.
Wonderful walk through this urban park! First hour is $3 parking in the public parking deck. Lots of folks playing recreationally. Careful for the tight parking spaces in the deck. There is a clearance beam that hangs above the so I wouldn't drive a tall vehicle through it.

Shakey Knees 2025 My boyfriend and I had an amazing time on Saturday 9/20/25 at Piedmont Park for Shakey Knees. We went to see Tv on the Radio. They were absolutely fabulous. We also enjoyed seeing Johnny Marr, Cage the Elephant, and of course My Chemical Romance. We got the GA+ tickets, and the ammenties were great. It was nice to stretch out and have enough room to relax. The AC bathrooms were top notch, and we loved the Comp drink options. We got food at Get Baked, Mosh Burger and the Pizza joint. I absolutely loved the veggie burger that Mosh makes. This was my second Shakey Knees festival, and my boyfriend's first time in the ATL. Such incredible memories! Can't wait to see the line-up for next year's festival. Thank you Shakey Knees!

Huge lovely green space for cycling, picnics, walks or jogging.. Concert space restrooms. Electric scooter & bikes. Easy start for the Beltline walk. Nice street art & graffiti. Atlanta biggest & most popular park. Free entry best to walk Marta or use rideshare.

Visited for One Music Fest and it was absolutely amazing! Plenty vendors, lots of restrooms, and great acts! Had a very great time and I look forward to next year's line up!

Lots of green space and pedestrian trails close to residential neighborhoods and urban amenities. Free and home to many community events. Botanical garden is a paid entry but only a portion of the area inside the park.
UnlockedVistas — Google review
I spent a sunny afternoon exploring Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta, and it deserves five stars. The park is vast and beautifully maintained—perfect for walking, jogging, biking, or just lounging on the grass with a skyline view that never gets old. Whether you're coming for a stroll, playing fetch with your pup in the off-leash dog park, or enjoying a picnic by Lake Clara Meer, there's something for everyone. What makes the park extra special are its amenities: an ADA-accessible pool with lap lanes, current-channel for floating, scenic fountains, and concessions—great for cooling off on warm days. Families will love the playgrounds, especially the artistic Noguchi Playscapes with modern sculptures and slides that double as public art. Piedmont Park is the city’s event stage for festivals like Dogwood Festival, Atlanta Pride, Music Midtown, and more—bringing energy and culture each season. But even without an event, the park radiates calm—great shady spots, restrooms, and enough paths and benches so you can easily settle in for a peaceful break. The Conservancy behind the park has big plans too: expect new walking and bike trails, better restrooms, expanded tree canopy, and creative paths weaving through the treetops—making an already amazing park even better in the years ahead. All around, Piedmont Park feels like the heart of Atlanta—green, welcoming, and full of life.
Subhajit B — Google review
Piedmont Park is truly the heart of Atlanta. It’s the perfect place to relax, go for a walk, or just sit and enjoy the views. The reflection of the city skyline on the water is absolutely stunning—especially around sunset. Whether you’re into jogging, picnics, or simply people-watching, this park offers a little bit of everything. Always peaceful yet full of life. A must-visit if you’re in Atlanta!

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
The Georgia Aquarium is a renowned attraction and one of the largest aquariums globally, featuring thousands of animals from hundreds of species across eight galleries. From freshwater creatures in the 'Southern Company River Scout' exhibit to massive whale sharks in the 'Ocean Voyager' gallery, the aquarium offers a diverse marine life experience. Additionally, visitors can enjoy special events like Sips Under the Sea, transforming the family-friendly destination into an adults-only cocktail party with live music and exclusive access to all galleries.
This place is truly magical. From the moment we stepped in, there was so much to see and do. The layout is uniquely organized and allows you to explore at your own pace. We went during the month of October, so got the added bonus of The Haunted Seas decor tastefully added around. The sheer size of the tanks and habitats were very impressive and even though it was crowded, there was still room for everyone to move around and explore at their own pace. Plenty of information on display, as well as employees throughout both offering further educational info and being available for any questions. There were also quite a few tunnels that take you under tanks, for different viewpoints. There are dolphin and sea lion shows available, included in general admission but needing spots to be reserved ahead of time. For us, there were many highlights. From the whale shark, to the belugas, to the tiger shark, to the dolphins. We spent a little over 2 hours here but could easily have spent longer. Would highly recommend this aquarium to all who love the ocean and the creatures who call it home.
Christina M — Google review
Very fun! We went on a Friday so it wasn’t crowded. The Halloween decorations were cute, the seal show was adorable, we got to see the last og whale shark, they had a whole bioluminescence walkway, etc. It’s better to go on a weekday at a weird hour, it’ll less crowded and you won’t have to wait hours to see an exhibit or get your food. Speaking of food, ITS EXPENSIVEEE!! I got a hamburger, fries, refillable soda, and a mini chocolate cake, and it cost $32, the food was good but dang! The seating area, soda machines, and condiment stations are very clean! All in all, it was very fun :)) Gal approved!🫧
Ayren F — Google review
We loved everything about this place. We purchased the City Pass and this was one of the options, although this was the only attraction we really wanted to see. If you are planning on going, allot several hours, if not all day as there is so much to see and do. You won't be disappointed.
Louisa S — Google review
The Georgia Aquarium is truly a world-class experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. They offer garage parking, which made access super convenient—especially helpful for families or anyone visiting during peak hours. Inside, the facility is impressively large, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. You never feel cramped, even with a crowd. The exhibits are stunning and well-maintained, showcasing a wide variety of marine life—from playful otters and majestic beluga whales to mesmerizing jellyfish and vibrant coral reefs. What really stood out was the staff. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the animals and the guest experience. They were happy to answer questions and made sure everyone felt engaged and informed. Whether you're a local or visiting from out of town, the Georgia Aquarium is a must-see destination. It's educational, entertaining, and beautifully run.
Wa Q — Google review
This is perhaps one of the best aquariums I've been to in quite a while. A lot of students and teachers showed up which made it always interesting. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The attractions were excellent as well. $64 for adults and I don't know what it was for under 18 but this is a must see if you come to Atlanta.
Anthony E — Google review
Breathtaking, beautiful place. I could sit all day and watch the mesmerizing creatures swim in the huge tank. Take your time and see all the exhibits. It’s very easy to get around and there are plenty of places to sit and rest. There were many staff members available if you have any questions. Highly recommend!
Laura M — Google review
Absolutely incredible experience! The Georgia Aquarium is one of the best aquariums I’ve ever visited. The main tank with the whale shark and manta rays is jaw-dropping, and the dolphin and sea lion shows are so much fun. The exhibits are clean, well-designed, and full of fascinating marine life. Staff are friendly and helpful, and everything is easy to navigate even when it’s busy. Highly recommend spending at least a few hours here — perfect for families, couples, or anyone who loves the ocean!

Nestled in the vibrant Buckhead neighborhood, the Atlanta History Center is a treasure trove of Georgia's rich past and cultural heritage. Spanning 33 acres, this expansive center features an impressive array of attractions including the Atlanta History Museum—one of the largest in the country—and the Centennial Olympic Games Museum. Visitors can explore living history programs at Smith Family Farm, admire the elegance of Swan House, or delve into research at the Kenan Research Center.
We had a wonderful time. We especially love how much the history center encompasses with the Swan House and trails and farm houses and main exhibits. We spent a while walking the trails. We also really enjoyed the Cyclorama oil painting. The exhibit complements the painting extremely well. The employees were kind, especially Jack who helped set up our visit in the perfect way.
Spencer P — Google review
This is a really good place to visit if you are in Atlanta and want to understand its past. The location is perfect and the grounds are beautiful. Everyone should see the Cyclorama, the Swan House and Olympics area. There was a great exhibit on Hank Aaron as well. My only negative is that there are too many kids that are allowed to run around the museum and treat it like it is a playground. This is not specific to the kids section. Inside the Swan House, there was a group of half a dozen kids running up and down the stairs. Inside the Hank Aaron exhibit, there was a group of young kids seemingly on a field trip running laps and playing. I don't think I ever saw one museum employee the entire time. It really takes away from the experience of a museum. I also want to point out that the gift shop could use better options also. We were looking for a magnet of the Center and could not find one. This is rare for a museum of this type.
Jeremiah S — Google review
The cyclorama was truly stunning. Words cannot describe the amount of effort the 17 German artists must’ve went through to paint it, and the effort put into preserving it. So happy it was though! The video presentation was great and I would recommend it for a little bit more insight on the history of it. The Swan House was also beautiful, an astonishing statement in architecture and it was fascinating to see what house style house was for people with high status.

My kid had great time in the Goizueta Children’s Experience Place. There were plenty of things to play and my toddler spent almost two hours playing with toys, slide, games etc. The gallery was very spacious and clean, and there was always staff inside to help in case you need anything. This is definitely a favorite place of my family and it is nuce that the Atlanta History Center offers famliy pass so we can revisit anytime.
Cherish — Google review
The Atlanta History Center was genuinely one of the most incredible places I have ever set foot in. We learned so much in the span of the couple hours we were there. As visitors from Orlando, the Atlanta History Center really allowed us to experience Atlanta culture and the rich history that the city has. We did the guided tour of the Smith Farm and our tour guide was great - she also tended the farm along with a man who I don’t remember the name of. Both of them were so sweet and made our trip very memorable. We also got to pet some adorable goats at the farm. The one thing I will say is, get there early and plan to spend the day. We thought we would be able to get through the museum in 3 hours but we weren’t able to explore the gardens and a few of the exhibits due to time. We plan to visit again and explore the rest of the AHC. This visit was the highlight of our trip. Thank you to everyone who makes this place possible, and the experience so surreal. To get to experience this was a privilege.
SHAHD A — Google review
I always recommend the Atlanta History Center to anyone from out of town. It's a great retelling of the city's history and has several features that add to its unique charm. Between the panorama, the Swan House, and the grounds, a day at the AHC is a day well spent.
Ronie V — Google review
Overall, I enjoyed my time at the Atlanta History Center despite some exhibition closures since there is plenty of things to see and learn about the aspects of Atlanta. The Swan House was especially interesting since almost everything in that house are originals dating back to the early 20th century or earlier.

Swan House at Atlanta History Center is a beautifully restored neoclassical mansion and gardens originally built in 1928 for wealthy cotton heirs, Edward and Emily Inman. The house, designed by architect Philip T. Shutze, sits on 28 acres in Buckhead, north of Atlanta. Visitors can explore the historic mansion with its amazing details and stroll through the picturesque gardens. The Inmans' wealth from cotton brokerage and investments in various industries is reflected in the grandeur of Swan House.
As an Atlanta Wedding Photographer I have the privilege of spending time in dozens of beautiful venues, and Atlanta History Center's Swan House is my absolute favorite. From engagement sessions to weddings, from fall through summer, the grounds are absolutely stunning and make for the perfect backdrop for elegant affairs and fine art portraiture. If I were getting married it would hands down be my top venue, and it will be yours too if you are lucky enough to experience the breathtaking grounds & beautiful historic architecture in person. Highly sought after and worthy of all the nationally-recognized prestige. Trust me, nothing compares. She is the best of the best and is without a doubt the most beautiful, iconic wedding venue in the nation!

One of the most stunning, yet underrated, destinations in Atlanta. The Swan House is nestled in the glorious greens of Buckhead, a paved walkway leading you there from the main Atlanta History Center building. (Don’t miss the gardens! A lovely pre cursor to this gorgeous sight.) When you arrive you’ll probably be looking at the back of it, but don’t be alarmed. The views from both back and front are absolutely breathtaking, transporting you back to the times of yesteryear. The house itself was exquisitely decorated, and you were able to get rather close to some artifacts. I went last year for my birthday in August, where they had a fascinating exhibit about the female interior designer of the house, which had me rapt in its detailed knowledge of her trailblazing life and relationship with the home. There was also another exhibit filled with porcelain that the owners collected. If you’re into entertaining or art at all, you’ll love this section. (It was a little drafty but that could have been when I went. This section was also very quiet, meaning you got the whole exhibit to yourself!) One minor thing (that could be on me) is that I wish there were tours of the home offered when I was present, but there very well could be and I could have just not seen them. However, the Swan House alone is worth $35, but seeming that it’s included with the rest of the museum (also lovely! The train section was cute), it’s an honest steal. If you love stunning architecture, Southern history (without some of the more painful details) and refined elegance, you’ll love this. (Aka, go!)

There's so much to see, here its quite relaxing and comfortable..Though keep in mind there is some walking to do..l would suggest and or recommend a Wheelchair or walker with you if needed, as the are not provided, bring this with you to help traverse these grounds as a whole..

Beautiful house with an amazing landscape surrounding the property. I found myself wondering why it’s called the “Swan House”—until I discovered the answer: hidden sculptures, furniture pieces, and tiny details featuring swans throughout the interior (I have some photos of swans that I found out) . Each one sparked curiosity and joy! It’s a stunning place for wedding photography.

So much fun and history all wrapped into one. Highly recommend this stop if you love architecture and history. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. The grounds are so serene.

Amazing, if you want to explore all the places be ready to walk! The experience takes a day but it's worth it. Great for history fans. The garden must be visited carefully if you are allergic to pollen. I loveeed it!

If you are visiting on a sunny day, leave room to tour the gardens. It is along the way from the History Center to the Swan House. They would be lovely in the spring.

Ponce City Market is a lively marketplace housed in a historic Sears building, featuring a diverse array of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. The Roof offers an elevated experience with Skyline Park, boasting carnival games and mini golf, 9 Mile Station serving European-inspired cuisine and craft brews with panoramic views, and RFD Social for indoor festivities. Additionally, the market itself presents an abundance of shops and food stalls to explore.
So many people have been telling me I needed to go to this place and I kept thinking what’s the big deal….shops and food?!? This place is GREAT! Tried food I had never had, unique shops that are fun just to explore and then my date told me we were going to the roof….what? Now I know what people were talking about! So much fun! Tons of carnival games, putt putt, slide and roller skating! The view is beautiful as well! Fun for adults and kids! Going back for my birthday in a couple weeks!

Ponce City Market is one of those places where you go “just to look around” and end up spending half your day (and wallet if you love food😅). The vibe is super lively – a fun mix of food, boutique shops, art, and people-watching. Great spot for visitors or when you have no set plan but want to explore. Food hall has something for everyone – though seating can be a bit of a hunt during peak hours. The rooftop is definitely a highlight, but do check timings and tickets in advance. Parking is... let’s say “city style” – slightly painful unless you are lucky or patient. All in all, it’s the kind of place that makes Atlanta feel cool without trying too hard. Worth visiting again and again!

My wife and I had a great time at the Ponce City Market. Parking was easy and fairly inexpensive ($7-3hrs.). Tons of great restaurants and shops to explore. It was very clean and decorated beautifully for Halloween.

Wow PCM is really an amazing huge industrial space filled with so much good food and drink it's almost overwhelming. We spent better part of 4hrs here a few days ago just exploring and trying so many different things from Bibi lamb and labneh sandwich to another amazing sandwich at El Pan. Had cocktails at Atrium. Could've eaten my way through the entire place although that would take months. Cannot wait to go back!

I had a chance today to go to the rooftop of Ponce City Market. Experience is great to see the city of Atlanta. I really enjoyed all the activities that you can do on top of the roof. I would highly recommend to come visit if you’re just a tourist.

Had such a nice time walking around Ponce City market during my trip to Atlanta. I loved El Super Pan, Glad and Young, and Posman Books. The vibes were perfect - It would be the perfect place to hang out and work remotely.
Rena O — Google review
Such a neat market with GREAT variety in both food options and unique shops. We did a little browsing in the shops, but we're mainly there for lunch options in the food hall. My sisters both got fabulous Mexican food from one restaurant, while I had chose El Super Pan for lunch. I got the boxed lunch with a 1/2 Cubano, side salad (or you can get a side of rice & beans), a cookie, and my choice of agua Fresca (I picked guava, but the soursop was amazing, too!). All of that for $16. I couldn't even finish it all. Multiple options for dessert or a sweet treat, but we settled on Saint Germain. Nice variety of macarons, chocolates, and exquisite pastries. They're all so beautiful, it's hard to take that first forkful. I limited myself to just one dessert to take with me, and it was a great choice. I got the pear tart, which was so dense it felt like it weighed a pound! It ended up being eaten over three separate sittings. You can't make a wrong choice there, I truly believe. So much to see and do there. It is a definite repeat stop the next time we're in ATL. I can only imagine how spectacular the living spaces are there
Erin C — Google review
Ponce City Market is one of the best spots to explore in Atlanta if you’re into food, shopping, and cool vibes all in one place. Housed in a beautifully restored historic building, it feels like a modern urban marketplace with a lot of character. The Central Food Hall is packed with great eats—from ramen and burgers to upscale Southern cuisine and fresh pastries. It does get busy, especially on weekends, so expect some crowds. But the variety and quality make it worth it. There’s also a rooftop area (The Roof) that offers amazing skyline views, fun games, and even mini golf—definitely a must-do if you’re visiting for the first time. Besides food, the retail shops are fun to browse, with a mix of local boutiques and bigger brands. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but they do have a paid deck and valet if you’re not up for hunting a spot. it’s a great place to spend an afternoon or evening—whether you’re grabbing a bite, meeting friends, or just soaking in the atmosphere.

Jackson Street Bridge in Atlanta is a popular spot for capturing the city's iconic skyline. Located across Freedom Parkway, it offers a relatively quiet and accessible location to snap stunning photos. The panoramic view of downtown Atlanta is particularly breathtaking during sunset or at night when the city lights shine. Whether you're practicing your photography skills with car trails on the road or using the skyscrapers as a backdrop, this spot provides endless opportunities for memorable shots.
A beautiful view of Midtown at sunset..You can reach here from the Peachtree Center Station ..It is 1.2 mile easy walk..Gets very windy ..get there early as the sun sets behind the tall buildings and get dark pretty quick.Picture taken on 11/20/2024

If you want an iconic shot of the ATL, this is one of the best possible choices! There’s just enough space to park on the north side of the overpass but put on your emergency blinkers! Expect some other people to be there trying to take photos, keep it friendly and respectful of the neighborhood 👍.

Centennial Olympic Park, located in downtown Atlanta, was built for the 1996 Olympic Games and is now a vibrant public park featuring walking paths, water gardens, and the iconic Fountain of Rings. Situated near popular attractions like the National Center for Civil & Human Rights and the Georgia Aquarium, the park offers a mobile website tour highlighting downtown's history and architecture.
A very nice park with waterfalls and lots of beautiful landscaping. We were there when the dancing lights were on display and it was awesome. We rode the skyview and it was great as well. The park closes at 10. It is clean and well taken care of. Would highly recommend visiting here.

Expected more space before I visited, however it’s covered in Olympic history/cultire. Very cute and green park!!! Nice waters and even a spot for the children to play, clean public bathrooms, surprisingly a nice place to even do a picnic! I liked it a lot

A nice enough park which is pleasant to walk through and has a good number of things to admire. It’s well kept and a popular place, with some nice restaurants and bars surrounding. Well worth taking the time to wander through on any first time in the city.
Steve B — Google review
Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta is one of the city’s most iconic and beautifully maintained public spaces, created as a legacy of the 1996 Olympic Games. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, the park serves as both a tribute to the Olympic spirit and a lively gathering place for residents and visitors alike. Its open green spaces, fountains, and scenic walkways make it an ideal destination for relaxation, recreation, and reflection. The park is immaculately maintained throughout the year. The lawns are lush and green, flower beds are well-kept, and the cleanliness of the pathways and seating areas is commendable. The landscaping has been thoughtfully designed to create a balance between open areas and shaded spots, allowing visitors to enjoy the park comfortably in every season. Whether you are out for a walk, a jog, or simply to unwind after visiting nearby attractions like the World of Coca-Cola or the Georgia Aquarium, the park offers a refreshing break from the urban rush. One of the most striking features of Centennial Olympic Park is the Fountain of Rings, a spectacular interactive water fountain designed in the shape of the Olympic rings. It is a favorite spot for families, especially children, who love playing in the dancing waters synchronized to music. In the evenings, the fountain show with colorful lights and music creates a joyful atmosphere that draws crowds and photographers alike. The park also holds great historical and emotional significance. Several monuments and plaques across the area commemorate the 1996 Summer Olympics and honor athletes and volunteers who contributed to its success. There’s a sense of pride and nostalgia in the air as you walk through, reminding visitors of Atlanta’s moment on the global stage. The Olympic torch replica and engraved bricks featuring the names of donors and supporters add to the charm and authenticity of the experience. In terms of accessibility, the park is very visitor-friendly. There are wide, well-marked walkways suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Public restrooms, security personnel, and seating arrangements are available throughout the park. The surrounding area is vibrant, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and attractions within walking distance. Public transportation and parking facilities are also conveniently located nearby. The park frequently hosts live concerts, cultural events, and seasonal festivals, which bring it to life with energy and music. During holidays, especially around Christmas and New Year, the decorations and lighting make the entire area look magical. Despite being located in a busy part of the city, the park maintains a peaceful and family-friendly environment. Overall, Centennial Olympic Park is a must-visit landmark in Atlanta — a place that combines history, beauty, and recreation. It represents the city’s transformation from its Olympic legacy into a modern, welcoming hub for all. Whether you’re a local seeking a relaxing afternoon or a traveler exploring downtown Atlanta, this park offers a memorable and uplifting

A must-visit Atlanta landmark right in downtown. The park offers plenty of picnic areas and clean restrooms, making it convenient for families and groups. It’s a pleasant place for a walk, and you’ll also find many attractions nearby to explore.

As my first time in Atlanta, visiting this park was on my top to do list recommended by lot of “things to do in Atlanta“. The park was clean and felt safe since it’s right across the aquarium and World of Coca-Cola, we crossed right over after visiting those experiences. The park had a nice walking trail around the park but aside from that there wasn’t too much to do or vendors around. For my first time experience, this park was very interesting and found a lot of history to it. To me this is more of a one time experience but definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Atlanta for their first time. Note: the Ferris wheel is right across the street. I recommend doing it to get night view and pictures of the downtown skyline 🏙️. 🙂 Time: 40 minutes Clean: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crowd: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Interactive: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Centennial Olympic Park is a true gem in the heart of the city. The park is amazingly maintained, with pristine green spaces, sparkling water features, and immaculately clean pathways. It's clear that a great deal of care goes into keeping the park in such good order. The beautiful landscaping and well-kept facilities make for a peaceful and enjoyable experience, whether you're strolling through the grounds, relaxing by the Fountain of Rings, or attending one of the many events. The park's cleanliness and excellent upkeep truly enhance its beauty and make it a must-visit destination.

The High Museum of Art in Atlanta is a must-visit destination known for its diverse art collection and modern architecture by renowned architects Richard Meier and Renzo Piano. The museum features a large permanent collection encompassing American, European, and African art, including southern folk art, modern and contemporary art, as well as photography with a focus on American works.
Of course I loved it! Art anyone? Although I had hoped for newer displays since my last visit, it was still a treat to see prior pieces and newer ones. I was espeically drawn to two installations, Faith Reingold, "Seeing Children" and a piece that literally stopped me in my tracks and brought tears to my eyes, Roger Brown's "Dawn." It's apocalyptic nature surrounded in a bloom of mandalas was stark, warm and cold simultaneously. I love the quiet, the complimentary stools you can carry as you go and the overall peace I feel with just my noise blocking headphones, art paper, my thoughts and the emotional effects of beauty. It's not the Louvre, but it's steeped in artistic sensibility.
Allison J — Google review
It was an interesting combination of art from multiple cultures and eras. My son and I amused ourselves coming up with names for the abstract sculptures. I've never seen so much furniture included in an art museum before. The item that stood out as "I'm not sure this belongs here" was a turnstile. 🤔

I visited the Museum on the UPS secondb Sunday program, so the admission was free. A modern museum with a large collection and two hours were barely enough to cover all the grounds. The coat check lady was extremely nice, sharing with me information about Wednesday free admission under the Access for All program.

I’m not flipping over the moon but it was fair. $30 per. A bit confused on the entry. Followed the art gate to the entrance-if I didn’t have my wife with me it might’ve took me longer to find. Nice people/customer service on entry and ticket line. If you spend another $30 you get an annual pass. Good deal since they change out art through the year. Purchased tickets on site. Multi levels dedicated to different periods. I LOVE the Black/African History. Very nice big layout spacing to see the art comfortably while others can be admiring the same art piece. I got super thirsty with all the walking. If you’re afraid of heights, the walk up can be nervous. Maybe there’s an elevator. Had to sit down once. It’s plenty to see for the money. We parked at the food hall and walked over but they have parking that i think cost. Took about 45 min at our pace to view everything. I’d recommend and come back in a few years. Makes you want to venture out to other museums. Security was available.

SkyView Atlanta is a must-visit destination for capturing the essence of Atlanta in one go. This 20-story Ferris wheel offers thrilling panoramic views of the city and its surrounding metropolitan area from its climate-controlled gondolas. Situated almost 20 stories high above Centennial Olympic Park, it provides a fresh perspective and stunning vistas of downtown's skyscraper-studded skyline.
I would definitely recommend this experience. The view was beautiful, and the Ferris wheel makes about five full rotations, which was the perfect amount of time to enjoy the scenery. There is also a VIP option available, though I didn’t feel it was necessary. I found a great deal on Groupon, which also included a bag of chocolates which was a nice bonus. Parking is extremely limited and overpriced, so I suggest researching parking options before purchasing tickets. They also offer photo packages, and we purchased the bundle for under $40 Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would absolutely go again when visiting Atlanta. Thank you for the great memories!
Jazmin V — Google review
SkyView Atlanta is a fun little experience, especially for kids who enjoy the novelty of riding a big Ferris wheel. The gondolas are enclosed and feel safe, so families can relax while enjoying the views. The ride itself is pretty short, though, and the views are decent but not spectacular compared to other spots in the city. It’s on the pricey side for what you get, but if you’re visiting with children, they’ll probably enjoy it.
Ravi T — Google review
Towering nearly 20 stories above Centennial Park, the SkyView Ferris wheel features 42 climate-controlled cars providing guests with breathtaking views of downtown Atlanta, Centennial Park, College Football Hall of Fame and the surrounding metropolitan area. Budget friendly $21 for 4 spins on the wheel . Best views are suggested at night .

SkyView Atlanta was such a fun experience! The Ferris wheel itself is super cool, and I loved being able to see the city from above. The only downside was that it had rained earlier in the day, so the windows weren’t the clearest and the view wasn’t as great as it could’ve been. Still, it was a really nice experience overall, and I’d definitely come back on a clearer day for the full view!
Samantha W — Google review
It was cool. I went in the afternoon due to it raining the 2 evenings I was there. It wasn’t packed when I went so there was no line paid $21 just for me. The seats are enclosed not open like a fair Ferris wheel and it was air conditioned. Went around 3/4 times and they made sure each rider was stopped at the top once.
Love B — Google review
Based off of general consensus 👉 2 out of 3 of us thought it was AMAZING! The experience: Arrive, wait in line for tickets (you can save a significant amount if you have a large party and order online, gondolas seat up to 6, there's no special entry for online ticket holders), purchase ticket's, wait in line while they shuffle people in & out of over 42 gondolas. Once the ferris wheel is filled w/ new passengers it does 3 full rotations. I found it a little monotonous, but it's fun finding out how uncomfortable some people are w/ heights 😂 For $20, it's a decent add-on attraction to your Atlanta experience (take caution if you walk there in the middle of the night 😬) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I probably would've said 3 ⭐'s myself, but it's affordable and my crew really enjoyed it! I enjoyed seeing them have fun . . . and freak out a little bit 🎡😁
Michael B — Google review
Skyview was a cool 7 minute experience. We went during the day. We went the night prior and it started to thunder, lightning and storm so they shut down. It’s air conditioned and you have the option to get off by pressing a button in case you don’t want to go around 3 times. There is street parking for a few dollars or parking lots you can pay upwards of $20 and more. Pictures are $36, they have VIP, roses and bears too. Cool to do once.

The Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail is a popular urban greenway built along an old railway corridor, offering a picturesque route for running, biking, and walking. The 22-mile multi-use trail connects various neighborhoods and parks while showcasing outdoor art installations. Along the way, visitors can find sports facilities, restaurants, and microbreweries. This ambitious project aims to create a comprehensive system of parks and connecting trails encircling much of the city by repurposing abandoned railway corridors.
March 2025 : There is nothing quite like this anywhere else. If you are a visitor to Atlanta, you've got to experience it, and it should be on the top of your list of 'things to do' here. On a bright sunny Saturday, I, along with my wife, both senior citizens, had a leisurely walk on this section of the trail.. and what an experience it was... great atmosphere, positive vibes. It was a pleasure to see children, parents, grandparents, walking, talking, jogging, cycling...all happy faces. There are plenty of eateries on this section of the beltline. We just wanted to have some soft drinks. However, long queues at the restaurants dissuaded us. I wish they had some small kiosks serving quickly, just cold drinks. This, however, has no impact on my rating. Last visit in 2023 : Atlanta beltline is the lifeline of this city..... very well planned, executed, and maintained.

Beautiful trail in the heart of Atlanta. We didn't walk the entire thing, but the parts we saw were definitely nice. Plenty of things to look at and shops to stop by. There are scooters and bikes you can rent or you can bring your own. I feel like the path can be widened a bit but people seem to do a good job of not hitting each other when navigating through the crowds.

A great place to walk and people watch. Lots of seating and restaurants to choose from. Nice scenic views from points along the way. Parking was confusing with there being lots of paid parking attached to restaurants (or so we thought). Lots of photo ops but there are certain places were you can only use your phone for pictures, no professional cameras even if you’re not a professional.

Cator Woolford Gardens, located in Atlanta, is a picturesque botanical garden spread across 39 acres of well-preserved grounds and architecture from the 1920s. The gardens feature diverse plant life, a grand staircase, and an overgrown pavilion. It's a popular wedding venue with frequent bookings, so it's advisable to check their event calendar before planning a visit or photo session.

This place is absolutely gorgeous and we loved getting to shoot here for my styled shoot. My real complaint is how much I had to spend, to not get to use restrooms 🫣 you’d think 1k for a 2 hour styled shoot would permit access. Otherwise, it was great.

Cator Woolford Gardens is pure magic for bridal portraits. I recently photographed a bridal session here, and the gardens could not have been a more perfect backdrop. The historic architecture, winding staircases, and lush greenery all create a romantic, timeless atmosphere that makes every image feel like a piece of art. From a photographer’s perspective, the soft natural light filtering through the trees is incredible. The gardens offer a variety of textures and backdrops—classic stonework, dreamy florals, and quiet pathways—that make a bridal session feel both elegant and intimate. For brides wanting a setting that’s refined yet organic, Cator Woolford Gardens is truly one of Atlanta’s most stunning venues. It’s a space that elevates portraits into something extraordinary. — Morgan Cristo Photography

Our wedding at Cator Woolford Gardens on April 27th was incredible! The gardens are absolutely beautiful and Madison and team took great care of us from the moment we first toured the venue. Also love that rentals support the Frazer Center. Highly recommend!
Alexandra C — Google review
I originally gave Cator Woolford 4 stars, but I've dropped it down to 3 since. We originally wanted to book this venue for a weekday evening wedding reception, and (based on the sales pamphlet and a venue tour), we thought we understood the restrictions and how we would need to adjust to make our plans work. After 1 week of waiting to receive a contract, we were told our dates were unavailable due to scheduled maintenance despite a month's worth of communication prior confirming our date was available. Our planner worked with them and tried to see if there was any way we could get our dates, since we loved the gardens and the design of the atrium, and it already fit the visual look we were going for, and then they delivered a contract. Contrary to their sales pamphlet's promised 3 hour event, and the tour's advice that events start "after 6", our contract offered a 2.5 hour event which was not allowed to start any sooner than 6:30. Even if we'd contracted for an extra hour, which we had originally planned to do, that would still have only been 3.5 hours, and barely enough time for the vendors to load out if everything went smoothly. I'd have loved to have a reception at this venue, truly, but they simply cannot deliver on what their sales pamphlet promises for a weekday event, unless you're willing to work with an incredibly tight schedule and pay extra to make sure you have enough time for your vendors to strike and load out. If we'd gotten these details in the venue site tour, or in any of our emails (including when we asked for a 6 pm event start time which they did not reject), we simply wouldn't have wasted our, or our planner's, time trying to negotiate for this to be the venue for our reception. We're lucky we had a backup venue already in mind, and have already signed a contract with them, because this has been an overall deeply disappointing experience and I'd honestly advise no one book an event on a weekday unless you need your event to last less than two hours. I understand that there are limitations on certain things, but those were not communicated during the multiple opportunities where a 6 pm event start was mentioned or at any point until the contract that came after so much struggle.

Ventanas is a sought-after event space located in Downtown Atlanta, offering a glamorous atmosphere suitable for networking events and formal business dinners. Positioned on the 14th and 15th floors of the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, it boasts 10,000 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor space with rooftop access, accommodating up to 550 guests. Its prime location near major attractions like the CNN Center, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Philips Arena, and Georgia World Congress Center adds to its appeal.
Ventanas is an incredible event space in Atlanta with stunning panoramic views of the city skyline. It offers an cool modern aesthetic that is a bit of a chameleon - I've photographed both weddings and corporate events here, and they've all been great in their own way. There's a lot of room too, two floors inside, as well as an outdoor patio, and of course the helipad! Killer views, especially at sunset. Highly recommended for folks looking for something a little different. - IG @AlbionReid

Ventanas is an absolutely stunning venue. The views alone are worth it. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, especially as we got closer to our wedding day. The food? Genuinely fantastic, our guests are still raving about it. We did run into some communication issues early on due to staffing turnover, which added a bit of stress during the planning phase. It wasn’t entirely in their control, but still worth noting. Also, it rained on our wedding day, which definitely limits some of the outdoor features of the venue. But even with the weather, we had an unforgettable time and would absolutely recommend it to others. If Google allowed half-stars, this would be a 4.5/5 without hesitation.

Anna Swanson & the entire team at Ventanas was exceptional and I highly recommend them! From beginning to end, they provided outstanding service. They were very professional & efficient in handling every detail of my daughter’s wedding. The venue is absolutely fabulous and my daughter now has memories of a lifetime of her special day! Thank you again!!

We cannot recommend Anna and the entire team at Ventanas enough! From the very first steps of planning through the rehearsal and the wedding day itself, Anna’s calm, organized, and warm presence made everything feel seamless and joyful. She took care of every detail with such care and attention, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment of our special day. The on-site staff were incredible — professional, attentive, and welcoming. They made us and our guests feel right at home, and their support made the entire day run effortlessly. And the food? Absolutely amazing! Every dish was beautifully prepared and delicious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone. Anna’s kindness, patience, and dedication went above and beyond, and we honestly can’t imagine our wedding day without her. If you want a truly unforgettable experience where every detail is handled with care and love, Anna and the Ventanas team are the perfect choice. — Josi & Jeffrey Whitten

Incredible experience at the rooftop. There’s a helipad and private elevator with incredible views of the city. Perfect spot during the sunset. The views indoors from the window are also spectacular. Loved every second of this experience and can’t wait to go back in the future

Anna, Jason, and the rest of the Ventanas staff were incredible to work with for my September 2025 wedding. The views alone make this venue worth it, but they food is also exceptional- not your typical wedding food. I would recommend this venue to anyone for any type of event. They literally help make dreams come true!

My daughter and son-in-law had their wedding ceremony and reception at Ventanas on July 1. We can't recommend this venue highly enough. Dana Kicklighter was absolutely phenomenal to work with... from the initial tour about a year in advance... ongoing communication.... thru to the entire day and evening leading up to and during the wedding and reception. My daughter and her (now) husband live in California, so that could have presented challenges with coordination, selecting menu items, etc., but Dana went out of her way to make sure everything met exactly what they were looking for. And on the day of the event, whenever there were any questions or challenges, Dana was right there to take them on. Everything ran so smoothly. We were all really pleased with the options and quality of the food and the bar servers get high marks for customer service. As you'll see when you tour the venue, the setting is absolutely spectacular with stunning views of downtown Atlanta. We were a bit concerned with an outdoor July 1 ceremony (given the summer heat here), but the 6pm wedding ceremony (while a little warm) turned out great - in large part due to the logistics managed by Dana (keeping our guests cool indoors until it was time to be seated) - and a little cloud cover didn't hurt. Having our out-of-town guests stay in a room block at the Hilton Garden Inn (entrance around the corner) worked out great, too. We highly recommend booking Ventanas for your wedding or corporate event!!

The Fox Theatre, a restored opulent theater built in the 1920s, is a historic landmark that has been repurposed into a modern performance venue.
I absolutely love the Fox! It is classy, and people know how to act! I like to go where people know how to act! I have been here many times and seen plays from Tyler Perry to The Color Purple! Comedy shows ranging from Chris Tucker to Kountry Wayne! I always have a great time at the Fox! I started taking my oldest son and now I take my youngest. They are 12 years apart. The Fox has never disappointed me.

We want to watch "Back to the Future, The Musical" and had a fabulous time period. Great seats and decent prices on concessions. This is a historically old theater so its a bit quirky with seating numbers. But very beautiful decor and amazing theater.

Catching Back to the Future at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta was an incredible experience! The Fox itself is a show before the show—the Egyptian-themed interior is breathtaking, unique, and every seat offers a great view of the stage. The production brought back so many childhood memories. The acting was spot-on, and the stage effects were seriously impressive. You could feel the joy in the audience the entire time. If Back to the Future makes a stop in a city near you, I highly recommend going. It’s nostalgic, fun, and a true crowd-pleaser!

⭐️⭐️ As someone who adores a historic Atlanta landmark and loves a good spooky story, I had high hopes for the Haunted History Tour at the iconic Fox Theatre. The idea of exploring one of the city’s most beautiful venues definitely sparked my curiosity — I was ready for ghostly tales, eerie legends, and maybe even a peek behind the velvet curtain. Unfortunately, the experience fell a bit flat. While the tour was rich in historical detail, it didn’t quite deliver on the “haunted” side of things. We weren’t able to access many of the areas I’d been hoping for — no stage, backstage views, or even the mysterious hospital room I’ve always heard whispers about. I was secretly hoping for a ride in what I’m convinced is the original freight elevator, but that didn’t happen either. For $25, I expected something a bit more immersive or exclusive — something that would make me see the Fox in a new light beyond what you’d experience attending a show. Instead, it felt more like a standard history tour with light spooky seasoning. I still think the Fox is one of Atlanta’s most magical spaces, and I’d love to come back next year to try their Ghost Tour, which I hear leans more into animated storytelling and atmosphere. But as for the Haunted History Tour — once was enough..but definitely at 1/2 the price.

Super venue! Saw Dr. Neil Degrasse Tyson in the VIP Orchestra section. Stayed for a Q & A. The architecture in the Fox is a magnificent Moroccan classic style. The bathroom lighting is ancient and it could use an update. Otherwise it is a fabulous venue

The Garden Room, located in One Buckhead Plaza, offers a unique dining experience with its immersive garden bar and New American cuisine. The restaurant boasts a stunning space filled with flowers and botanical decor under a glass roof, creating a greenhouse feel that is perfect for a romantic date night or special celebration. This urban oasis features elegant touches such as lanterns hanging from trees, crystal chandeliers, and wooden statues, making it an ideal spot for capturing beautiful photos.
It is a beautiful restaurant, the atmosphere is great. The food is delicious, very flavorful. We order the lobster which is a must, the oyster, the cucumber salad and the flit mignon. Everything was delicious. It is pricey but it is for us it was a great experience and it was worth it. We will def come back.

The Garden Room has a stunning, whimsical ambiance that’s perfect for a special night out or Instagram-worthy photos. The decor and vibe are truly standout. However, the overall experience didn’t fully live up to the hype. The service felt rushed at times, and it was hard to get the staff’s attention once the place got busy. The food was good but not particularly memorable, especially given the premium pricing. It’s worth checking out for the atmosphere, but manage your expectations when it comes to the food and service.

We had brunch at The Garden Room for my wife’s birthday, and I still can’t stop thinking about it. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a beautifully curated dream. The service was impeccable not overly formal, but attentive in all the right ways. Our server checked on us just enough to make us feel cared for without interrupting our conversation. When a menu item wasn’t available, she courteously offered alternatives and even went back and forth with the chef so we could mix a few special requests into our dishes. That level of flexibility and genuine effort stood out to me. The Garden Room is tucked into Buckhead, at 88 W Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA, in the Buckhead Plaza area. If you’re navigating there, Google Maps will take you straight in. Once you arrive, valet parking is your go-to option: it’s provided via the St. Regis Atlanta, and costs about $15 after validation. Be sure to validate your ticket with the host stand when you arrive. Because The Garden Room is quite popular and often busy, I’d highly recommend making a reservation well in advance especially for weekend brunch. The ambiance is enchanting: lush floral décor, whimsical touches, and a vibe that feels festive yet intimate. If you’re planning to go, here’s a quick tip: arrive with enough time to work through valet and walk-in steps, because parking and entrance can take a moment during peak hours. Also, their menu changes seasonally, so don’t be surprised if what you saw online isn’t exactly what’s offered that day the staff is usually gracious about swapping or modifying when possible. Overall, the level of service we experienced made it one of the best brunches I’ve ever given as a gift.

I had been wanting to go to the Garden Room on and off for a few years. I'd make reservations, than after reading all the reviews, decide to cancel. The reviews were consistently hit or miss, great or bad, nothing consistent. This year, my husband ended up taking me to dinner here for my birthday. We knew the place would be beautiful. But quit frankly after extensive reviews, youtube and social media we both had very low expectations regarding the food and waitstaff. Chris was our server, he was outstanding 10+ stars easily. He was very personalable, warm and friendly and instant "friend". Not rude or stuffy, but extremely helpful. The food, again we had zero expectations. But I can honestly say it was the best meal ever. We had focaccia bread, again best ever and I make a pretty mean homemade loaf myself but it beat mine. We had the short ribs for our entree. You could eat it with a spoon, it was very tender, rich and decadent. It was seasoned to perfection. I hate salty food, it had the perfect amount a slight hint. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant, the ambiance, food and entire staff. They treated us like royalty from valet parking to escorting us out of the restaurant through the crowd. The music was turned up during our visit just before people started pouring it. Where we were seated (right under a speaker), it did become a bit loud we asked if they could turn it down just a hair and the did. The serving portions were on the smaller side, but it was more than plenty for us and again very rich and decadent. The desserts were excellent as well as thier coffe. I highly recommend this place, and we will be going back soon. Note there is valet parking at the hotel, you go inside the hotel up to the 4th floor (which is actually the next floor up), turn immediate right and cut throught the hotel, Just outside on the right. The valet parking was very fast and organized both entering & exsiting. The restaurant will stamp your card so it's only $15.00, for up to 8 hrs. So even parking is not an issue. Beautiful place.

I absolutely loved the ambiance of this place. It was sooo beautiful & relaxing! The hummus was delicious & my drink was quite tasty. As many have said, this place is quite pricey for the portions received. I wasn’t that impressed with my dinner, the mushroom (pillows) pasta, it was okay. Nonetheless, definitely a cute place!

✨ We absolutely loved this place! Even though we came with kids, the staff was incredibly attentive — our waitress was so kind and caring. They brought us drinks and even gave our kids little toys that were part of the decor, which was such a sweet touch! 💕 The food was delicious, and the atmosphere felt truly special. One of those places you can’t wait to come back to! 🌿

The Garden Room is a must do bucket list spot in Atlanta!! It’s like walking into a magical, enchanted garden! The decor is out of this world and the atmosphere and vibe cannot be beat. Be forewarned that it is very expensive and the portions are tiny. We were shocked to receive an almost $500 bill for 4 drinks (2 each), 2 meals and an app. To start with, upon sitting, we were told the drink “special” was a smoking old fashioned so my husband ordered one of those. The presentation was phenomenal as it was brought over by a gentleman wearing gloves in a glass box that poured out smoke when he opened it. Of course it was tiny so he agreed when the waitress asked if he wanted another one not thinking much of it because it was “on special”. Even the ice cubes had little carousel horses carved in them!! Turns out they were about $70 a piece. In the grand scheme of high end dining across the country this is not the most expensive old fashioned out there, however if it’s your special and it’s still that much, tell people that because that price is far from typical. For our appetizer we ordered the hummus. The waitress asked if we wanted crisps to dip in it. Of course we said yes because we weren’t planning to just eat it with a spoon. She brought over a few homemade crisps which were really thin, so we went through them quickly. When she asked if we needed more we said yes. Never thinking or being aware that we were being charged for them at $7-8 each time. We assumed that something would be served with hummus so weren’t expecting those charges. The hummus was good and so was my pasta dish. Very small portion…about one ladle full. My first vodka drink was also in a very small glass for over $20 each and not very strong. But again, presentation was very pretty. Overall, I would say this…The Garden Room is an exquisite experience that cannot be missing in Atlanta. 10 stars for the atmosphere and the vibe. The only reason that I gave it less stars is because I feel that they should be more transparent with their pricing and charges. Also for those prices the drinks should be strong and the portions should be bigger. Out of curiosity after going, I had read some reviews and saw tons of people commenting about the same thing, so I do think this is one area where they can improve as people do not enjoy getting surprise bills in the hundreds of dollars for two people. However, it is still a must see! Just go in knowing this information and perhaps just go in and grab a drink at the bar where you can clearly see the pricing on the menu and enjoy this magical place! If you really want to impress somebody, this is the place to take them! *pro date night tip…when you walk out there is a secret speakeasy across the way if you pay attention. Great spot for a night cap!

My husband and I chose The Garden Room for our anniversary, hoping for a whimsical night — this was our second visit. When we arrived, we were greeted by two friendly receptionists, and the wait was short. However, the hostess who escorted us to our table attempted to seat us at a high-top. While not mandatory, it’s generally a nice gesture to give special-occasion guests a more comfortable table, so I politely mentioned this. Her response was surprisingly rude and dismissive, which could have soured the night entirely. Thankfully, our server and the managers went above and beyond to turn the experience around. Their attentiveness truly saved the evening. Food highlights: • The oysters were hands down the best I’ve ever had — fresh, briny, and perfect. • The yellowtail appetizer was bursting with flavor and incredibly fresh. • The bread service initially came out cold, but the managers quickly remade it so it was warm and fresh. For my entrée, I ordered the short rib — rich, flavorful, but unfortunately a bit cold. This seemed to be due to the restaurant’s policy of taking the entire food order at once. While efficient in theory, it means that if you add more dishes (like our extra oysters), it can throw off the timing, resulting in some items arriving less than hot. Several dishes had to be remade because of this. Dessert presentation was beautiful — the rose detail was a lovely touch — but the flavor was just okay. The music created a lively atmosphere without being overwhelming, and both our server and the managers truly made us feel cared for after the rocky start. After two visits, my recommendation would be to come for cocktails and appetizers — especially those oysters — and soak in the whimsical atmosphere.

Nestled in the heart of Decatur, Decatur Square is a charming location with a small-town feel despite its urban surroundings. The square features niche shops, restaurants, an open pavilion, mural, old buildings and gazebo that provide unique backdrops for visitors. It's conveniently located near the Decatur MARTA stop and offers entertainment at the gazebo or opportunities to relax sidewalk-side with a drink.
There are plenty of eateries, shops, and other businesses in the area. It's a nice place for families to spend time together and relax. The area has changed a lot over the years. It now has paid parking with limited time. I think that makes visiting the area a little challenging. But overall, it is a nice and accommodating place.

Nice space between a lot of restaurants and stores. Clean area, with gazebos for entertainment to play potentially. Artificial turf, near lots of large trees. Unfortunately, there are only portable potties unless you buy something in the local restaurants. Located centrally to a Marta stop.

A neat space though like so many areas near MARTA stations, there's a population of residentially-challenged folks. They didn't disturb us as we passed through and we didn't disturb them. So many different restaurants and bar spaces and generally cool shopping spots. We had a good time!

Very nice park with an awesome community garden and historic info. Plenty of seating, tables with umbrellas for eating or resting. A lot of shops. A pleasant surprise to run into and enjoy. The only down side is the homeless hang around and while that does not bother me what so ever and do not bother anyone the trash that is left behind is crazy. Its obvious that its not tourists or visitors trash bc its mainly books and clothes, clothing irons, dirty clothes, and rando trash left in heaping piles. A side from that one thing a pretty neat place.

The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View is a renowned dining spot located in downtown Atlanta, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city. Situated atop the Westin Peachtree Plaza, it provides an essential experience for both locals and visitors. The restaurant features seasonal American cuisine with dishes like Loch Duart Salmon and sweet potato gnocchi. With its prime location, it offers easy access to nearby attractions such as Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Centennial Olympic Park.
Wonderful ambiance. Knowledgeable waitstaff. Delicious food - perfectly cooked. Amazing views. Entrees were a bit slow coming out but absolutely tasty, so wait time was forgiven. Menu appears to be seasonal and rotates often. The She Crab soup was mouth watering and the filet was perfection. Sides are tasty but portions are definitely on the smaller side - not necessarily "sharable." Be sure to save room for dessert.

The views are breathtaking. To me this was a throwback to service that you simply don’t see anymore, but appreciate when you do. Anna could teach a master class on the finer points of really creating a guest experience. If they had 20 stars for service, it still wouldn’t be enough so please ask for her by name. The food was good, but the experience was made memorable, not just because of the view, but because a professional made our experience over the top. The foie gras was cooked too long and lacked the creaminess one would expect. My duck entree was fantastic but the collard greens much too salty. The food was a little dated but still good. I would definitely go back for the overall experience and feeling like you’re dining on top of the world.

This was my second visit to Sundial Restaurant in Atlanta, and once again, the experience was wonderful! The food is excellent—my steak was perfectly seasoned and flavorful, and the collard greens were outstanding. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. Dessert was a highlight—the coconut chocolate cake was delicious! It had just the right amount of chocolate, complemented beautifully by a tangy fruit puree that tasted like mango. It was the perfect finish to the meal. The only drawback was that the restaurant’s famous rotating feature, offering 360-degree views of Atlanta from 72 floors up, wasn’t operating during either of my visits. However, even without the rotation, the views were still absolutely breathtaking. Overall, I highly recommend Sundial for its fantastic food, exceptional service, and stunning city views.

Went here on a friend’s birthday night and had an amazing experience. They have dining on level 71 and the bar/lounge on level 73, both with the same incredible view. Dining requires a reservation, but the bar doesn’t. The staff told us we could sit wherever we wanted, and the floor actually rotates, giving a full 360° view of the entire city—it’s awesome. The service was excellent, and the drinks were great. To finish the night, we ordered a slice of cheesecake, and it was next-level—seriously one of the best. Definitely a memorable spot for special occasions. Loved it!

My husband proposed her in 2016 and it was amazing. Great food, not too expensive, and it rotated. Not this go round. The restaurant no longer rotates, the single page menu doesn’t have many choices and it’s much more expensive. The drink list was longer. The duck was delicious but they could have kept everything else on that plate. The calamari was not worth $31. I felt it was a waste of our time to revisit. There are better places in ATL to try and I’d recommend that.

My husband I went here for our first anniversary and although the view was beautiful the food was underwhelming. I ordered the pan seared halibut which was good but my poor husband got the filet mignon without the mushrooms. He enjoyed his 3 asparagus. Needless to say when it came out it was highly disappointing. The staff were great but the food and drinks are not worth the price. We probably won’t be going back anytime soon.

We had an awesome trip to see the Braves. My friend Melissa knows all the ins and outs. She had our parking arranged so that was easy. Not to far to walk. Getting in with our tickets was easy peasy. Our tickets were right behind the braves dugout so we got an arm band and a few perks! We got a free hotdog, free popcorn and after the second inning we got a free ice cream. We had our own concession stand. It has other things as well as our free stuff. And a bathroom down there. The seats were very comfortable. Not the hard plastic that you usually get. Beautiful park. Red deck is super close so very happy about that! Dark green chairs are scorching hot in the summer. Chairs are narrow and tight. Food is a bit pricey and the cashier helping me was rude. He was yawning the whole time and hunched over. Barely spoke and didn't make eye contact.

Its a really cool place! I saw the Braves and pirates play the last game of the season! And the Braves won! Its the only MLB game I have went to in my adult life. Last game I was at was turner field in the 80s. I think I was like 9. Everything is expensive! Once you get over that the rest is a great time! Now its time to get back to work and recover some money spent!

The Swan Coach House is a charming lunch-only eatery located on the grounds of the historic Swan Mansion. Established in 1965, it was founded as an extension of the Forward Arts Foundation and has since become a beloved venue for various events such as bridal luncheons and baby showers. The restaurant offers New Southern cuisine and cocktails, providing a genteel dining experience.
If you’re looking for an experience that feels like stepping into a Southern fairytale, the Swan Coach House Restaurant is an absolute must. We had the pleasure of enjoying afternoon tea here, and it was easily one of the most special lunches we’ve had in a long time — the perfect beginning to an afternoon exploring the Atlanta History Center right next door. The restaurant itself is full of charm and grace, tucked inside a beautiful historic building surrounded by lush gardens. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. You could immediately tell that many of the staff members have been part of the Swan Coach House family for decades — some for over 25 years — and it truly shows in the care, pride, and personal touches they bring to every table. Afternoon tea was simply delightful. Every detail, from the delicate china to the perfectly arranged tiers of finger sandwiches, warm scones, and miniature desserts, was beautifully done. Each bite was crafted with such elegance and flavor that we felt transported to a more refined, slower-paced time. The chicken salad, a signature dish here, absolutely lived up to its legendary reputation. And don’t even get me started on the homemade cheese straws — they alone are worth the trip! The atmosphere is relaxed yet sophisticated, ideal for catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or just treating yourself to a lovely escape from the bustle of the city. It’s the kind of place where conversations linger and memories are made. A huge thank you to the entire team at the Swan Coach House for creating such a memorable afternoon for us. It’s clear that this isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a treasured part of Atlanta’s history and hospitality. We can’t wait to return.

I loved this place! My guests at the Bridal Shower I hosted here also raved about the food and the venue. I planned this event from Florida. I was super nervous about how it would all turn out. But the entire staff is amazing every last one of them. From the booking to me leaving. I wish I would have found this place sooner. The food was delicious. The decor was impressive. I am not easily impressed and this place exceeded my expectations. I will be hosting here again for sure. Thank you for making my daughters day a memorable event.

We went for high tea and it was a great experience! We did not need to have a reservation for high tea as our party was just of 4 ladies. Bigger parties may need a reservation. The finger foods were delicious especially the tiny cucumber sandwiches! Very charming and sweet, southern atmosphere. Sweet on-site gift shop and art gallery. Would recommend!

The Swan Coach House is in the middle of a gorgeous neighborhood. They offer free valet parking which is wonderful! We arrived around noon. They were busy but we only had a 10 minute wait. This is definitely a “girly” place. Most everyone was dressed up. The table settings are lovely with real linens and adorable mismatched china. We opted for the tea for two service. It started with mini muffins and strawberry butter. Their tea selection is very limited. They had about 5 to choose from. We chose the Paris blend since we have had it before. It was served with cream, lemons and sugar cubes. Our three tiered tray featured 4 little sandwiches, cheese straws, scones served with clotted cream and lemon curd, a ham biscuit ( yummy) and an assortment of mini desserts. You will NOT leave hungry! My daughter is vegetarian and there was no issue swapping out sandwiches, etc for her. It was fun and relaxing time! The service was great too!

This is one of the coolest places to host an event in the city. When I first planned this bridesmaids brunch, the only place that came to mind was the Swan Coach House! The atmosphere is like that of a 1950s/1960s ladies’ lunch venue! (It’s absolutely beautiful!) And the service and food are amazing! There are also many gluten free items on the menu and our gluten free guests enjoyed themselves so much! (We all had the same gluten free items!) The mimosas were delicious and the French Silk Swans (signature items) were as excellent as when I had them years ago. (All you have to do is ask for no ‘swan’s head’ (small cookie) and the swan is gluten free too! The two GF guests asked and the servers produced two swans magically! Highly recommend this venue for any special occasion or even a fun lunch for friends!

The epitome of a "ladies who lunch" restaurant! My best friend and I got the afternoon tea to celebrate her graduating college, and we both enjoyed ourselves. TLDR: Fantastic Southern inspired savories and delicious tea with hit or miss desserts, charming ambience and decor with solid service that could have been better (but could have been an off day), very Instagrammable and actually worth your money. The tea sandwiches were a good size, plenty for the two of us. The chicken salad sandwich was served on the fluffiest white bread that I think about to this day. The cheese straws are delicious, so fun! The ham sandwiches were beautifully buttery, but the scones left something to be desired. They were fine, but I could tell it was the one area they skimped out on. Our dessert course was also somewhat hit or miss, not because the food was ill prepared, it just wasn't to our tastes. The chocolate pastries were all delicious though. The ambience of this establishment is so elegant and Southern, quintessentially charming inside and out. (We did a quick look at the gift shop, you could stay in there for hours). The restaurant was beautifully quiet when we went (random Wednesday) and it's small enough that it feels intimate. Our lovely first server sat us near the window. The service had its ups and downs, but I never try to give too much fault unless it was egregious, which this wasn't. To mention, the gentleman who sat us was incredibly professional and hospitable. My friend wasn't the biggest fan of our main server, a young woman around our age, as she felt that she was rushing us through our meal. I felt it a bit too, but we got there at about 1:40, seated at 1:50, only 40 minutes before their main dining room was closed, so I don't fully fault the young woman (probably underpaid) for wanting us to be a bit more quick (as I am not prone to do). By no means was she outrageously rude, and filled our tea cups, gave us honey and attended to us adequately. Overall, the Swan House is a nice establishment that combines charming aesthetics with good food that doesn't break the bank. (One of the cheapest afternoon teas in Atlanta and it's more worth your dollar than the St. Regis Christmas tea!). With a few tweaks, they could be even better, but whenever I want to have a good afternoon tea with a friend or take someone out for a lovely "ladies who lunch" moment, I'll take them here. (Also, quietly want to put this fear to bed: My friend and I were the youngest ladies in the restaurant by far but the wait staff never made us feel odd about it.) Rating: 4.2/5

We hosted a "Sweet 16" luncheon for my twin daughters here. The communication leading up to the event was excellent and the GM and the staff were so kind and on point with service on the day of the event. They were extremely helpful and we had a wonderful event. We were in the Swan Room, and everything was beautiful, and the food was delish!

We had a fun and fantastic time. This place is classy and perfect for small or medium events and perfect for baby showers or birthday parties. The indoor setup was gorgeous with walkout deck and great views. The waffles with bacon and Chicken was delicious and tasty with lots of flavors. However, the temperature needs to improve, the guests was disappointed that the food was served at room temperature, along with a need for a friendlier general manager, and improvement of communications during planning stages.

Krog Street Tunnel in Atlanta is a popular spot for photo and video shoots due to its edgy street art and murals. Despite its initial appearance, the pedestrian-friendly tunnel connects the Cabbagetown and Inman Park neighborhoods and is frequented by locals, bikers, and walkers. This underground institution showcases an ever-changing display of socially conscious graffiti created by local street artists since the 1960s.
It's actually clean and safe to take pictures. If you walk to the end of the tunnel it opens in to a suburban neighborhood with many interesting houses for photos.
Daniel L — Google review
Great street art spot - overall pretty clean, well-lit and wide. Plenty safe to run or bike through especially during day. Nice diagonal crosswalk on north side. Getting stuck in here in your car is annoying but fun to walk through. Definitely recommend visiting if you’re already in the midtown beltline.
John — Google review
This place was really cool... it reminds me of Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas because you can add your own tags/artwork. We visited Georgia for my daughter’s graduation and were traveling with friends. On departure day, we went our separate ways because we had separate flights, so we thought it was hilarious when we ran into each other in the tunnel. See 1st video 🤣. Definitely worth going to see, especially if you're looking for something to do for free.
Christina C — Google review
Such a cool spot! I'd seen photos all over social media of this iconic Atlanta tunnel, but experiencing it in person was even better. From what I heard from friends, this tunnel has been a canvas for local artists for decades, connecting the Cabbagetown and Inman Park neighborhoods. The experience was incredible - as you walk through the tunnel, you're surrounded by layers upon layers of street art. Every surface is covered with vibrant pieces, from small tags to massive murals. I got lucky during my visit and actually saw an artist working on a new piece, which was fascinating to watch! The best part? The art doesn't stop at the tunnel. Following the path south (thanks to a local friend's tip), I discovered that the street art continues in both directions. Whether you turn right or left, the walls are filled with all kinds of amazing artwork. The subjects range from abstract designs to portraits, political messages to playful characters. Pro tip I picked up from other visitors: it's best to visit during daytime for better photos and to fully appreciate the details in the artwork. I've heard the art changes frequently, so each visit offers something new to discover. This is definitely one of those authentic Atlanta experiences that shows why this city has such a reputation for incredible street art. Can't wait to go back and see what new pieces have appeared!

An interesting tunnel situated halfway between Krog Street Market and a nearby art district - both walking distance. Not a “must see” in my opinion but great for individuals who like art and eclectic places. As for safety, while it was inherently dangerous, the tunnel did feel a bit dark. As a 5ft woman, I would not feel comfortable walking there at night at all
Azani A — Google review
Atlanta’s creative street art scene is a must if you are ever there. A truly immersive walking art experience.

I have no idea why this place is marked as a tourist destination on some sites. I don’t get it. What is there? It’s dingy, short, and has a scent that is eerily similar to urine. Don’t get me wrong it definitely suffices as a tunnel. For that, I give it 3 stars.

Nestled in the heart of Atlanta, Rhodes Hall, affectionately dubbed "The Castle on Peachtree," is a stunning turn-of-the-century residence that has been transformed into a captivating museum and event space. Constructed in 1904 for furniture magnate Amos Rhodes, this architectural gem showcases exquisite Romanesque Revival design and stands proudly on the National Register of Historic Places.
As a Atlanta Wedding Photographer at Atlanta Artistic Weddings and a person who has been working in historic preservation for years Rhodes Hall is a treasure to Atlanta. It is a beautiful venue and centrally located in the heart of the city. It is the castle on the hill in Atlanta! It is a great historic wedding venue that celebrates and supports history as the home of the Georgia Trust. The venue has so many beautiful handmade historic features that make it a perfect backdrop for your wedding. But what makes it really special is the staff. Caroline is the perfect host. She is so gracious and helpful. She is the one that transforms Rhodes from a building to a home that you can share smiles and make memories. Thank you Rhodes Hall!
David D — Google review
Amazing first floor. Second and third- eh, not so much. Wish we could go in the tower. But overall, enjoyed our Halloween tour and could definitely see how the little castle could have some spirits hanging around!
Travis C — Google review
Rhodes Hall was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding reception. It is beautiful, has charm, and elegant. The cocktail style reception worked out wonderful utilizing all the rooms on the first floor, and the dancing on the porch is so much fun! Caroline, the in house coordinator, was prompt to answer all our questions throughout the months leading up to the wedding day. She also made sure everything was perfect for the big day. Highly recommend.
Jackie S — Google review
Rhodes Hall seems like a fantastic place and is beautiful on the outside. Unfortunately, unless you're having an event here there is little to no chance of getting inside to see the "museum" which seems to be far from the intended purpose when the property was given to the city by the former owner in their will. The building is a fantastic break from the typical Atlanta scenery and one of only a select few places the city hasn't destroyed to replace with overpriced condos. If you're walking around the area stop by and take pictures from the street since it's not a welcoming museum for the city's inhabitants unless you have the $$$ to fork over to have an event here. I gave 2 stars simply due to the fact it's not open to the public despite the property intended to be used as such. It's an amazing and formidable looking building from the outside tho and I'm sure equally as stunning on the inside but who knows since we're not allowed to see.
Carter C — Google review
Rhodes Hall is the perfect mix of historic charm in the heart of a bustling city, you'd never know was just outside the doors. They do an incredible job with the landscaping, and preservation of the property. I've had several clients book for weddings, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and fundraisers. There are so many options and unique ideas for the spaces. Caroline & the team always do a great job making sure everything is as it should be for us, prompt responses and attention to detail is unmatched. Whatever the occasion you'll be happy here!
Emily G — Google review
We had our intimate, 30 guest wedding ceremony and reception at Rhodes Hall and I cannot recommend it enough! Caroline was so easy to work with and the venue itself has so much built in charm. Finding gorgeous places to take photos is extremely easy and I can’t wait to get ours back from the photographer because I know they are going to be amazing! Our guests loved the way the reception was set up inside with the dining tables in the parlor and the bar in the front room! We had our ceremony out front and it worked out perfectly. Overall, I am obsessed with how our wedding turned out and it would not have turned out nearly as special if we had hosted it anywhere else!

We stopped to take pictures on the steps outside as the gate was open, not anything professional literally just on our iphone. Staff member comes out and says “excuse me we charge for photography and that information is on our website.” Ok, first of all there is no signs posted. Second, nowhere on the website says there is a fee charge for taking pictures. We politely left but the lady was super rude and made my niece cry because she doesn’t know how to politely deal with the public and doesn’t know what her website says. Boomers need manners.

The Fountain of Rings at Centennial Olympic Park is a beautiful tribute to the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. It's likened to the Bellagio fountain in Las Vegas and offers a stunning water show at night. The park features benches under trees, creating a relaxing atmosphere for visitors. Families can enjoy the clean splash pad, while others can simply sit and people-watch.
Glad to see the fountains were running this morning. A little cool for playing in the water this morning, but I can see how this would be a great stop with kids and swim trunks. You can't beat the views from this water feature. Enjoy the rest of Centennial Park while you're here to learn more about the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.

Very nice park besides the georgia aquarium and Coca-Cola office. If anyone goes to altanla, should visit this vibrant park. No free parking. Also, I have some homeless or outsider who want to talk and want to help to take pictures with your mobile, I didn't feel good with those kids. They actually target girls or women. Be conscious of them.

Beautiful park. Located near the ferris wheel and the Aquarium. Lots of benches under trees to sit abd relax. Very clean splash pad for kids of all ages. Great place to spend a day. We were there on a Monday morning so it was not crowded at all. At noon there was an amazing show where the fountains performed to music. We enjoyed watching it while eating our picnic.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon after a visit to the aquarium and decided to sit on one of the benches under the trees and just people watch. Such a peaceful place with the sounds of children playing in the fountains and so many folks from all walks of life milling around. Felt totally safe and was a great place to just sit and chill and enjoy life.

Georgia State University Perimeter College Native Plant Botanical Gardens is a hidden gem located at the north end of Piedmont Park in Atlanta. The gardens not only boast stunning native flowers but also feature art installations, making it a picturesque spot for special occasions like proposals. Visitors can also purchase unique and reasonably priced native plants during the pop-up sales on Fridays and Saturdays. With a focus on nurturing small plants grown on-site, the garden offers a diverse selection for native plant enthusiasts.
This place is so beautiful and peaceful! Coming from Nevada, surrounded by desert 🏜️ , these gardens are exactly what I needed to see!! I discovered so many new insects also!
Carlene C — Google review
Overgrown and looks abandoned. No paths so it’s difficult to find an entrance. It’s a shame. The place has real potential and a great tree called a Doghobble that’s a fantastic pollinator.
L B — Google review
Lots of room for improvement, wouldn't recommend driving out of your way to visit. The gardens need to be tended. There was a picnic table and a few benches to sit. The poetry plaques were nice to read!
Kennetha W — Google review
Mostly abandoned but still pretty. Very cool, huge grasshoppers everywhere, and the ferns were nice but not marked and the paths were overgrown. Got mosquito bites despite having permethrin-treated clothes and had sprayed the entire party with significant amounts of Off before leaving home (but that might just be how Georgia is, unsure, I just moved here).
Alex C — Google review
Lovely garden with this HUGE BOULDER IN IT! I went during the week, and no one was around. Nice place to get some peace.
Zy G — Google review
I went here on a Sunday morning in July and had a wonderful time exploring the garden. The plantings are generally unkempt and the plant tags in some areas appear to be outdated. The ground is quite wet so make sure to wear hiking shoes. Native plant lovers, however, will find many wonderful species in bloom, and the diversity of bird and insect life is simply amazing. You'll spend just as much time looking at the animals as at the plants. The only regret I had was that the fern garden - one of the best collections of ferns in the country I believe - was too mosquito-ey and I wasn't properly dressed to spend time exploring the wooded area. There also appears to be a large trillium collection, which had already gone dormant, so I will definitely try to come back in the springtime to see Georgia's trilliums in bloom. Highly recommended for native plant and wildlife enthusiasts who don't mind nature's organized and intricate disarray, though do dress for bugs and wear sturdy shoes.

A magical place noting we hosted a wedding there on 1 2 3 1 2 3! We appreciated Molly and others at The Old Courthouse who assisted us having organized both the ceremony and the reception at this location. The historic aspects of the building added much to what was a very enjoyable evening. We had no issues and our guests were impressed with both the building's beuaty; the wedding ceremony/reception set-up; and overall flow of the evening. I wish to also recognize the staff of Atlanta's Finest Catering (led by Lorie) who in total added so much to a very beautiful wedding. I highly recommend the Old Courthouse On The Square location for any wedding. As we also hosted +150 guests, access to the Historic Decatur Square shops/restaurants was another plus noting The Brick Store Pub and Folk Art restaurants were frequently visited. Finally, the walking distance and access to hotels (noting the Marriott Courtyard) was also another plus! Thank-you again The Old Courthouse On the Square for a very fun and memorable night.
