Jamaican restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Scotch Bonnet Jamaican Restaurant is a humble eatery known for its authentic Caribbean cuisine, particularly its fiery jerk chicken. Despite its unassuming appearance, this roadside stand offers a delightful dining experience with outdoor seating. The restaurant has been serving up delectable Jamaican dishes for over 20 years without making significant changes to their menu or ambiance. While the establishment may not offer an extensive variety of seafood options, it remains a popular choice among locals and visitors alike.
Scotch Bonnet never fails on delivery of good food and good customer service. By the time I ordered my food, it was a line of people waiting to order. You get great portions of food. And it's authentic Jamaican food. They have their own Seamoss drinks and other flavorful juices. I highly recommend that you try them out. It's order and go, nowhere to sit down to eat. Enjoy!!!

This my place for Jamaican food! I use to be a curry chicken lady for years. Every since I been eating here, I love me some brown stew chicken!! They know I don't play about extra sauce, cabbage not over cooked and my plantain better be on point. I'm always greeted with a smile and even though they don't like taking pictures, I always get my favorites to pose for me. I always leave with a hot and heavy plate! 🤗
Kimberly G — Google review
When I pass by I saw a line of people so I figured it was pretty good. When my good friend took me to eat I was pleasantly surprised. The plantains was the best I've had and oh my God the cabbage was off the chain. The smoke meat was perfect however the rice was a little undercooked. I would definitely recommend this place. The best side of the road jerk chicken joint to date
Oshun L — Google review
As an out of town visitor this is a gem my best friend told me about a year ago and I've been on it every since when it travel to Atlanta. The plantains are delicious, the cabbage although tasted different each time I've had it it's still been delicious. The red beans and rice!! Oh my stars I could eat my weight in them. They are so good and I'm not sure what type of Jamaican gravy the pour on them, it might be some of the rue from the jerk I don't know but it is slap your neighbor good.
Maurice D — Google review
I asked for escovitch. This is not Escovitch lol I doubt it’s even snapper. It wasn’t nasty lol but it wasn’t the best. Fishy fish and the most okra I’ve ever seen in my life.
Moriah S — Google review
I’ve been occasionally patronizing SB for over 10 years. Yesterday was definitely the worse. Extremely disappointed with how salty the curry goat was, and the jerk was very dry and seemed old. I could also taste the burnt grill taste on the jerk. This is a first. They can also use some help with presentation. It almost looks like they put the food in the styrofoam and shook it up! Very strange. I even tipped the guy that takes the orders. Extremely disappointed! 😕
Kari T — Google review
This was my first time having Jamaican food at Scotch Bonnet. The customer service was hmmmmm mediocre at best. They did have some good music playing during the wait which was nice. The beef patty (photo attached) had a brand stamp on it. I have been trying to find a great beef patty around Atlanta. This one was not bad but not my favorite. The Jerk Chicken and Plantains were my favorite part of the meal. I don't love Plantains but I eat them occasionally and I would eat these again. The Chicken was well made and had a distinct flavor, in my opinion, I am thinking there was just some love in there!! Most Jamaican restaurants that I have patronized in Atlanta either ask if you want extra jerk sauce or provide it. They didn't and ultimately, that was my only draw back. I was satisfied with the meal. I had it for lunch and dinner so $16 was not bad for lunch/dinner. They accept debit cards.
Kara L — Google review
Delicious authentic Jamaican food! The brown stew chicken is amazing! Definitely our favorite. We did the pick 2 chicken plates with rice and peas and plantains and added on drinks. My order was incorrect but still good. I was given the bbq chicken instead of brown stew. The bbq doesn’t have any sauce it’s really more so grilled so barbecued in that way. Not a lot of flavor but well executed for that. The curry was flavorful and they mixed the rice and peas with the gravy. The jerk had a little kick to it and the second plate had gravy from the brown stew which made the rice and peas sweet. They sold out of beef patties but the chicken patty was tasty. We will definitely be back for the brown stew chicken and to try more options.

Irie Mon Cafe, located in Brookwood Hills, is a laid-back eatery that specializes in authentic Jamaican cuisine. The menu features classic dishes such as curry, jerk chicken, oxtail, and fried chicken. The restaurant also offers an all-day breakfast menu with traditional Jamaican items like Ackee & Saltfish and Callaloo & Fried Dumpling. In addition to the usual Jamaican fare, Irie Mon Cafe provides halal options.
Just go. The food is amazing. We had the snapper plate which was perfect. Be sure to get plantains and rice and peas - the spices are incredible. Also the pasta was amazing. I ate so much I was full til the next day. They are substantial portions. Overall a wonderful experience. I would definitely go again.
Hoyt P — Google review
I’ve been coming to Irie Mon every week for almost a year since I went vegetarian, but after today, I’m officially done. The plantains were undercooked and just plain nasty. On top of that, the service was awful. The lady serving was rude for no reason, acting like we were bothering her just by being there and she’s always messes up your order and blames you for it. What makes it worse is you have to pay to park. So now I’m spending money to be disrespected and waiting forever for food that isn’t even cooked right? No thanks. I’m sick of the attitude and the lack of care. I really tried to SUPPORT this spot, but it’s not worth it anymore. If you want better service and food that’s actually good, I highly recommend Mango’s on jerk cuisines instead. Do better, Irie Mon.
Jay A — Google review
The food at Irie Mon Jamaican was underwhelming and lacked authentic Jamaican flavor. The dishes tasted more American than traditional, and the plantains were bland and undercooked. The oxtails were decent, but the rice needed more peas and seasoning. I ended up adding my own seasoning to improve the taste. Overall, it didn’t meet expectations for authentic Jamaican cuisine.
Michelle — Google review
Best Jamaican food in ATL great vibes great taste and truly Jamaican. The bar next door was the perfect touch for the visit. The staff was remarkable with authentic. The music and ambiance was amazing!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for two years now I drive one hour from Covington, Ga just to get jerk chicken, curry goat rice & peas! Every single thing on the menu tastes amazing. I seriously searched for all the best Jamaican restaurant between Atlanta and Florida. I must say this place is the best by far. The Food is light not heavy on your belly. Portions is just right, meat flavor is seasoned to perfection and it’s always consistent. Im from Jamaica originally so I’m telling you this is the definition of authentic yard food!!!
Engineered P — Google review
I ordered the Brown Stew Chicken meal with a Ginger Beer. It had no flavor at all. Meat was tender. No flavor, seasoning, herbs, nothing. It was truly a waste of money
Courtney F — Google review
I stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a bank and I’m so happy that I did! I followed my first mind and omg!!! The freaking meal that Chef Debbie was prepared for me was outstanding!!!! TASTE ✅ Temperature ✅ Freshness ✅ Portion ✅ Cleanliness ✅ Customer Service ✅ I love Caribbean food (Jamaican) and I have experienced the taste BUT this is by far the absolute best I’ve ever eaten and will be returning, again and again!! Every bite was extremely delicious and tasty! I took photos and a video but I’m unsure 🫤 of how to upload them so GO STOP YOURSELF AND EXPERIENCE THE AMAZING SERVICE AND DELICIOUS FOOD.

Restaurant
Foxx Original Jamaican Restaurant is a laid-back corner eatery in the Sweet Auburn district of Atlanta, offering a delectable array of Jamaican dishes. The restaurant prides itself on using top-quality ingredients sourced from local farmers markets to create their menu items, which include roti, sandwiches, platters, and sides. Visitors can savor authentic Jamaican staples such as stew, jerk & curry goat, fish & tofu.
The restaurant is not in the best neighborhood so be safe cause its definitely worth going. The food was amazing. Curry Goat and Chicken well seasoned and delicious. Definitely on my top Jamaican spots. Friendly cashier very down to earth. The took us even though they were closing soon. So appreciative of the attitude some places do not provide customer service that makes you want to return but anytime we are in ATL we will stop by!!! Thank you guys!!!

The best Jamaican food I’ve had in a while!!(and I’m Jamaican) The chef super friendly, we had a great talk about Jamaica. But the food, wow!! If I could give 6 stars I would. Very well seasoned and delicious. Jamaica approves of this restaurant! 😅
Romaine B — Google review
This restaurant is for people who are not used to Jamaican food. I bought the jerk chicken, white meet, cabbage, rice and beans jerk with sauce on the chicken, & curry gravy. It was horrible. Poorly seasoned, their jerk sauce was simply water with diced onions & I don't know if they placed it in the bag or the plate because the bag was filled with that onion water sauce substitute. They were probably upset about the specifics of my order. I am a caribbean native, so I jerk chicken very well. I took a group there & no one was satisfied with their orders. This restaurant is perfect for people who don't know good Jamaican food. However, it is an insult to the Jamaican Culinary Art!
Omar L — Google review
Not the best food at all the rice nuh have no season or the cabbage. Best things here is the patties. And the receipt wasn’t itemized so I felt like I got robbed. Lol. $41 for 6 Pattie’s and a jerk chicken lol
Daron V — Google review
The experience overall was okay. The food was very oily. The curry goat was watery and oily, but the goat was tender with a bit of fat. The roti wasn't really roti but more thin and looked like dhal puri. The escovitch, red snapper, didn't have the distinct taste of escovitch. I think it was fried in old oil, so there was no distinct taste or flavor. The only thing I can appreciate is the beef and jerk chicken patties.
Tilly — Google review
Highly disappointed in my experience and food ordered. I had high hopes for this restaurant after reading the reviews and decided to give them a try. First, the lady at the counter was very unpleasant. When I got home to eat my food, the yellow rice tasted sour! The cabbage was also disgusting and soggy. Thankfully, the oxtails were decent; however, it was a complete waste of $27 for oxtails, rice and cabbage (extra money for extra gravy) that I did not enjoy.
Kala J — Google review
Look if you are not Jamaican this might be good to you, but as a Jamaican this is mediocre. I ate here before and that was my last time doing that. And don’t buy the Irish moss it’s just lasco it was very runny I called them to let them know they sold me it was opinionated, like I wouldn’t know the difference I been drinking this stuff my whole life. Just don’t come here

Caribbean restaurant
Jamaican restaurant
Mangos Caribbean Restaurant is a vibrant and lively eatery adorned with colorful paintings of Bob Marley and island scenes. The restaurant offers a variety of authentic Caribbean dishes such as curry, jerk, oxtail, brown stew chicken, mac and cheese, kabbage, rice & peas, and refreshing ginger beer. Owned by Matthew True Nelson (Krushmore), a well-known reggae club promoter in Atlanta, this spot has become a popular gem in the city.
Good value for money. There is a discounted rate for lunch and the portion size is good. My meal tasted okay, but I wasn't very fond of the taste. Maybe that's how it's supposed to taste. Go try yourselves, it is a good deal for the price.
Lawan W — Google review
Traveled over an hour to come here! But we waited almost 2 hours and sent back both pastas bc there was no sauce! I will say the Rum punch was so good! Oxtails were some of the best I've had though! Also very hot inside. As to we waited hours for food to be fixed, It was just to hot.
Lindsey H — Google review
I went to Mango’s and had the WORST service I’ve ever experienced — all because of the girl at the front named DIAMOND. From the moment I walked in, she was RUDE, DRY, and completely UNWELCOMING. I asked for a simple substitution (cabbage instead of plantains — same price), and she flat-out said NO without even checking. I asked her to please ask the kitchen, and she did — with a nasty attitude — and of course, they said YES right away. No apology. No “my bad.” Just more attitude. Then she rang up the wrong rice. I specifically asked for seasoned rice — I do not eat white rice — and when I told her, she argued with me like she knew my diet better than I do. No accountability. No respect. Just straight-up disrespectful energy from beginning to end. The food was fine, but Diamond’s nasty attitude ruined the whole experience. If she’s working the front, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I love supporting my people — but this experience made me never want to step foot in that restaurant again.
Kaboom Y — Google review
I was charged $47 and charged for a pasta that I did not receive all the items that I asked for. I ordered the oxtail pasta and was only sent plain pasta. I called the restaurant to ask for a refund and the person, who answered the call did not care at all about my concerns. I was told that a refund would be processed and nothing has been done to resolve the issue. I am highly disappointed because I was excited to try this place.
Vanessa — Google review
I used to be a very loyal customer of Mango’s, but recently I’ve noticed longer wait times and smaller portions. Today I ordered a LARGE ox tail plate, and received 3 of the smallest ox tails (literally). The ox tails came as the side and not the main portion. Highly disappointed and definitely would NOT recommend for $35.
Shad — Google review
So I visited mangos for the 1st and kind of disappointed when I got in, and the girl was at the cash register. I asked her about certain things on the menu and asked her could I substitute the plantains she said no so I specifically made an order with no plantains and I paid extra for mac & cheese. I got plantains instead and still no mac & cheese first and last time for everything I definitely won’t be back. as you can clearly see on my receipt it says no plantains and an extra charge for the baked mac & cheese, and I got the total opposite disappointed.
Robert M — Google review
I Atlanta this qualifies as 5 star Jamaican food. However, if youre from NYC, FLL or MIA...actually even if you just now what those abbreviations stand for, this is thr most mid, probably too salty, Jamaican food. If you knownwhat or where "Half Tree" is, this food disgust you. That aside, if you're in downtown Atlanta, its the best Atlanta has to offer. Also, its too loud inside to be able to enjoy the meal. I have no idea why restaurants pump in music so loud you cant hear yourself think or even chew.
Samson W — Google review
I spent $50 and some oxtails, Peas and rice and cabbage I got 4/5,oxtailsvv two medium size and a three tiny .. I was very dissatisfied. The taste was mediocre unlike what it used to be in foot over $30. It should’ve been a little bit more last time. I will be coming there and I’ve been going there for the past 10 years or more.

Jamrock Restaurant is a cozy Jamaican eatery with three locations in Atlanta. Since 2006, it has been serving up authentic and flavorful Caribbean dishes such as jerk wings, curry goat, oxtails, jerk chicken, curry shrimp and more. The compact space offers counter service and the option for carryout. Customers praise the tender and well-cooked goat dishes as well as the piping hot food even for takeout orders.
Fried snapper, ox tail and patty were amazing!!!!!! This place is just the right size to feel like you are in jamaica with good people and good food. So glad we stayed at the hotel down the street to get more food the next day. We will definitely be back here for more shows and good food in the future.
Averitt J — Google review
Delicious! I had the Curry Chicken. I opted for the rice with beans, cabbage, and sauce on my rice. It was excellent! The meat just melted off the bone. I didn’t need a knife at all, just a plastic fork. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a selection of Jamaican soft drinks and juices. I had a pineapple soda. It was great! There’s not a ton of seating so when it gets busy you’ll have to get your food to go. What a gem!
Kyle K — Google review
50 something and this is the 1st bad review I've ever done. It absolutely had to be done! The cabbage, rice & peas were over cooked and lacked seasoning. Curry chicken was fatty, over cooked and again no seasoning. The jerk chicken seemed to be oven baked, definitely not on a grill, also lacking seasoning. I can't believe Jamicans actually cooked this food. It's sad. The pictures you see are after I shelled the food out to my family on plates. It was not all eaten. 1st and last time eating here. Try your luck! YUCK!
Monique M — Google review
Having Jamaican roots myself, I've often found that subpar customer service can sometimes lead to discovering hidden culinary gems. However, my recent experience at this establishment was quite the opposite. Invited for lunch by a business associate, I was disappointed right from the outset. The staff, particularly one individual, displayed a noticeable attitude problem. As a visitor, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. The food, including the curry chicken and jerk chicken featured in the images below, was passable at best. To compound matters, the washroom was out of order, and the beverage fountain .
Chantel G — Google review
I eaten here a few times, and over all the food isn’t bad. Sometime they can be hit or miss but that’s every restaurant. This time I got curry chicken with white rice and cabbage.
Travious M — Google review
I have no idea how this place has 4 stars! Must be family leaving fake reviews. The food was anemic! Lacking anything jamaican! LOOK AT THE MAC&CHEESE! Only a thin old crusty layer of cheese on the top of plain macaroni. NO CHEESE MIXED IN! Nothing was curried on the curry chicken. Cabbage 🗑 Rice 🗑 Beef patty 🗑. Robbery!!!!
Jay M — Google review
Despite all the 1 star reviews decided to give this a try. They had a white board with the menu of the day written. I decided to get the small Curry goat for $15. It was a lot of good like other have said. I can’t imagine what the large would be like. The goat was cooked perfectly - fork tender. Didn’t even need a knife or anything to break apart. I order the food to go. The food was still piping hot after I walked back to the hotel nearby. The cabbage was actually a bit too hot to eat right away. Great place to get some good curry goat.
Shih-Shin C — Google review
Literally truly absolutely delicious and amazingly priced Jamaican food. A true taste of the Caribbean in the A! A blessing! My whole (Large) meal was $13. Cant beat it <3

Used to stay on Beckwith and was in the old “hood” I can’t express how disappointed I was today. The food was barely decent… I haven’t been here in so long and was excited to see I made it before they closed today. 4-19-2024 4:15 p.m. I ordered the stew chicken with kale… The kale was EXTREMELY salty, like choked me and I had to spit it out… The chicken was decent, but it wasn’t brown stewed Jamaican chicken… The gravy was watery and lacked color and flavor. Ahhh the rice… smh the rice… It definitely wasn’t rice and peas… more like minute rice with TWO canned red/kidney beans. As someone that has been going since they opened… lived walking distance it’s really sad to see the results of today. I doubt I’ll be returning.

I was so sad that oxtails weren't available the day I went, however, my brother and I LOVED the brown stew chicken. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. We got kale for the side and it was also really delicious. I thought the jerk chicken was okay, but my husband really liked it. The cabbage was amazing, though. They definitely know their flavors here. Definitely want to go back for oxtails. Highly recommend calling before stopping by. They were also out of jerk pork too. Overall, a great experience. We will be back.

Went 2/4/17: DAT Fire Jerk Chicken is a small whole in the wall joint serving real deal Jamaican dishes. They have a full diverse Caribbean Jamaican menu. It's located in a prime location blocks from new stadium. The service was great and friendly. I loved the music while you wait. And they cooking on that barrel grill and the smoke flavor is all throughout the jerk dishes ribs and chicken. The food was juicy, flavorful, and not too spicy; I even added more jerk sauce and BBQ sauce to the ribs. The curry was great too. No complaints here (maybe the very limited parking lot), but hey that's life. Its off the beaten path, which I always love local spots that's not tourist centric.

The food is AMAZING! I had the oxtailwith peas and rice. I was extremely satisfied! The food is seasoned well and comes out piping hot and fully flavor! There's usually a wait here. I'd highly recommend calling in advance to place your order to cut the wait time down.

Delicious food if you're on the go and need that Jamaican taste. It is small, black owned local business. No inside seating, enough outdoor seats for maybe 5-6 people. I ordered the small Curry chicken. The order came with cabbage salad, rice & peas and plantain. Cost about 9.75 before tax and tip. I also grabbed a handmade juice drink from their fridge. That cost $4 before tax and tip. I would recommend this for the working professional who had a craving for some homemade coming.

saw this new spot open up and wanted to try it. never had a patty before, tried the jerk chicken and it was definitely fire so it fits their name. it was very hot too as food should be! also had the jerk chicken tacos. they weren't bad, but could use some sauce on the slaw.
Choy C — Google review
I would not say that the jerk chicken here is fire. It's more like it's like warm. I only had the chicken so I can't speak for any of the other food, but for "fire jerk chicken" to be in the name of the restaurant that chicken was very underwhelming. I wasn't impressed. The service was great next time im in Atlanta I'll try something else on the menu.

Hands down....flavor os 10/10. I would suggest getting off the cook to order menu if you want your entree to be hot. Although the stewed chicken was cold, I microwaved it and it was great. Cabbage were great too.

My two veggie patties were soggy and severely undercooked. Salty I wasted $8 on both they were $4 each . The cabbage was delicious . The patties weren’t worth it .

I ordered the chicken stew with yellow rice. The food was tasty, it was jsit too salty whatever seasoning powder that they used was too much especially the chicken. It had sweet and chicken bouillon powder taste. I could feel it on my lips and chest. The patties are good, cabbage and plantains were okay. There was no wait

I order the Curry Goat, Rice n Peas, & Cabbage. I’m eating my food, enjoying it. Then, I come across a GUINNESS BEER BOTTLE CAP and a green hair, lint, sting.. (whatever the hell it is) In my cabbage. UTERLY DISGUSTED. Clearly poor kitchen conditions.

I highly recommend this amazing restaurant! I am a New Yorker living in Memphis and visiting Atlanta for a work conference this week. I have eaten here for three days straight because I don’t know when I will be able to get oxtails and rice like this again! Tastes like home!

I honestly hate that I have to leave this review because there are very few Jamaican spots in Atlanta but after receiving subpar service multiple times and recently experiencing an issue going back and forth with the cashier regarding verifying the identity on my purchase because of their inefficient backend & payment processes - if you're exploring visiting this location I suggest you explore elsewhere. After ordering online, it took an hour to receive my food. A simple curry chicken plate. I don't even want it anymore.

With multiple locations, including Buckhead and Lithonia, this culinary gem is particularly celebrated for its vibrant Jamaican dishes. Diners rave about the delicious rasta pasta and the irresistible jerk chicken egg rolls that have become fan favorites.
Moe!!!! My favorite server! Your service made our time amazing! Very caring and considerate. The food was delicious. The coco bread dipped in curry is crazy. And those oxtails tho— so delicious. Actually delicious is not a strong enough word to describe our meals. Please come during happy hour to try the array of drinks. The bartender was superb and happy birthday girl!! At one point the wait staff was dancing to Beyoncé! It was all a whole vibe. Not one dollar of regret. Spice House, Kaleb and Siani will be back.

Also ordered the juicy pineapple for my beverage 10/10 will definitely come again. They also offer happy hour Monday-Friday 4-7 might try that next time !

We had a great time and great food at brunch today with three of our amazing young adults, out of six. While I’ve frequented Spice House in Buckhead with girlfriends, this was my first visit to the Midtown location. Everything was on point. From the ease of booking our reservation, to the friendly Valet person, to consistently great service, we enjoyed the vibe, the DJ and of course the delicious food and craft drinks. What a great choice to celebrate and raise a toast to my wonderful husband and to our son! We will certainly return.

My first time visiting this incredible place and OMG…..is all I can say! From the ambience, to the customer service, to the food…I give it a 10/10!! When I first pulled up, valet was there to assist. Parking is $11.00 and tips are welcomed! Then I walked up to this door and opened it…all I can say is “the smell is absolutely amazing”! The hookah, drinks, appetizers, and entrees were all on point! You cannot lose! No matter what you eat or drink, EVERYTHING was so delicious and fresh! Thanks to our waitress Alexis, manager Philly, and the chef, chef Danielle! She put her arms, feet, and whole body in those dishes! I truly appreciate everyone customer service…the hostess, the chef, manager, and our beautiful waitress (Alexis)! I will tell the whole world about Spice House Midtown! If you are ever in the area or visiting Atlanta….tell them I sent you! God bless your business and all that work there!

Small non-crowded with fast service and good food. Our second time there and everything about it says they're will be a third time. We got there just at 6 and there was no wait. Soon afterwards people started coming in droves. Good Jamaican music playing overhead. This place is great! Meat pies, jerk chicken, pork, rice...everything was delicious. We were greeted immediately and offered some recommendations since it was our first time. When we were done the owner stopped us to ask how the food was and we chatted for a few minutes. It was nice to feel so welcome in this new neighborhood restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

This place is very underwhelming. The food took a long time getting out (about 25 minutes) and didn’t have an authentic taste. The rice and peas are seasoned quite strangely and the chicken is good but doesn’t taste jerked. The sauces aren’t all that good either; the Peach Bourbon BBQ tasted like sugar and the Mango jerk just tasted like mango. I thought I had maybe found a new spot but I won’t be back.

2/22/18 Thursday 838pm just ate my first meal from there the 1/4 breast and wing Jerk chicken traditional sauce with rice and peas and cabbage. It wasn't #1 on my list for authentic jerk chicken but it's definitely #2 and I would recommend it for sure. I won't mention my #1 authentic place so people don't think I work for them and not take this review serious. Try them you will love the jerk it's good.

Johanna was very attentive. The food was hot and delicious. I wasn't sure what kind of dessert I wanted, but she suggested the white chocolate bread pudding with Bailey's Cream sauce and it was hot and tasty. I ordered the combination plate with the braised oxtail, curry goat, Mac and cheese, and sweet plantain. I would definitely order again. My friend ordered the Jerk pasta and the flavor was full and bold. I ate as much of hers as I did mine. I do not regret going here on my extended layover flight. Edit: Please be aware that there is an 18% gratuity for dining in. We did not see this and double tipped. We brought it to their attention and they did correct it and showed where it is printed at the very bottom of the menu. If I hadn't clicked the button for a print out, of the receipt, I would not have realized it. I'm also not sure if they would have been able to fix it if I did not have a print out, but I'm unsure. With that being said, I would still return and the food review still stands. Just be aware and read the full menu from top to bottom.

From start to finish, this was an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, beautifully maintained and perfect for both casual and special occasions. Our waitress Johanna was outstanding — welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She provided thoughtful recommendations, checked in at just the right times, and made us feel truly cared for throughout the evening. Her professionalism and warmth elevated our visit and left a lasting impression. The food was excellent: fresh, flavorful, and plated with great attention to detail. I stopped in after my pedicure to grab a quick snack before heading home to cook dinner. I asked about getting just one beef patty, but the woman at the front (with a passive-aggressive attitude) told me they only came in sets of four. I wasn’t that hungry, so I decided on bread pudding instead. While I waited, I could clearly hear them talking about me for several minutes which I ignored. Honestly, if I had my lace front showing, I wouldn’t be talking about anyone. I waited in the front area, but instead of bringing my order to me (with only two customers in the restaurant), they hollered across the dining area for me to come pick it up from the takeout counter. When I turned and asked why they couldn’t just bring it over, they looked at me and turned their heads as if to say “please.” I still left a tip, but the energy from the two women working was not warm or welcoming at all. I’ve been coming here for years, and the vibe has always been great until today. To top it off, I was given a small, unimpressive piece of bread pudding. It’s really sad how we treat our own people sometimes. I won’t be returning, and I’ll be letting my friends know about this experience.

Jamaican restaurant
Rodney’s Jamaican Soul Food, located in Smyrna, is a fusion of traditional Jamaican dishes and soul food. Chef Marvil Rodney's culinary journey began in a Jamaican hotel kitchen before opening the restaurant in 2011. The spot is known for its jerk chicken and offers a fine dining atmosphere with beautifully presented meals. The signature Oxtail Stew receives high praise despite some negative reviews, making it a must-try dish.
This restaurant is amazing! The food is incredibly tender and bursting with flavor—I can never resist pairing my meal with their delicious sweet chili sauce. The appetizers and entrees are both top-notch, and I can’t get enough of their amazing mudslide drink! I usually get the curry chicken, oxtails, brown stew chicken, and coconut shrimp! Plus, the location is super convenient, just a stone's throw from The Battery and Cumberland Mall. Trust me, you won’t regret stopping by!

Rodney's Jamaican Soul Food is a solid spot if you're looking for a place with good vibes, especially when they have a DJ playing. The food is okay—I’ve definitely had better—but the energy picks up once the drinks start flowing. Just make sure to drink responsibly! There’s plenty of free parking, which makes things super convenient. We've used this place as a pregame spot a few times before walking over to The Battery. It’s a fun atmosphere when you're with a group and looking to kick off your night. Be safe and enjoy!

A co-worker recommended this place, so I made an online order and picked up my food. The bartender I give 5 stars he was very nice. If I could give a 0 on the quality of the food I would. I ordered chicken jerk egg roll, and a chicken and beef patty. When I got there I was told they were out of chicken patty would I like beef instead, I agreed. After I left I opened my food, I went for the egg rolls first. The egg rolls were not chicken and it was disgusting, and the beef taste fake looks like dog meat. They gave me normal sweet and sour sauce warmed up….terrible. I could not eat it, so I tried the beef patty that was terrible too. It looked like grounded up dog meat, and I thought this restaurant was authentic🤦🏾‍♀️ fins and feathers food is authentic compared to this place, if you want good cooked from scratch including the dipping sauce egg rolls …that’s the place to go. I cook myself and everything from scratch, so I know what I am talking about when it comes to food. I wasted 25 dollars that I could have blessed someone homeless with. I will never eat here again.
Brandi C — Google review
Brown Stew Chicken doesn’t take authentic nor even like Brown Stew Chicken. Rice and peas were flavorless. The meal doesn’t come with a single plantain. $6.50 for a side of paper thin plantain that smelt and tasted like old grease is just irritating when you have craved a Jamaican meal for awhile. Waste of $30. Definitely WILL NOT return.

This place is a hidden gem. Woe! I did not expect much but wanted some soul food or Jamaican food and found this place. This is such a great balance of soul, food, and Jamaican food! The food is so great and our server Reggie was the bomb. I mean literal best server I’ve ever had! He was so polite, friendly, and just went above and beyond his job. I didn’t want to leave a review because I wanted to keep this place all to myself but oh my goodness. I would be doing a disservice not reviewing this place. Drinks were also very well balance with flavor and alcohol. We had the jerk salmon, oxtails, Mac and cheese, collard greens, Soufflé yams, black eyed peas, beef patties and coco bread. When I say you will not go wrong with any of these options, I mean it! I didn’t even mean to leave a whole essay but this place is that great. 20:10 recommend!!
Janiyah R — Google review
I've been coming here for many years and honestly I've never had a miss. We visited on a Thursday at the beginning of peak dinner time around 5:45 and was greeted with a nice welcome and the most friendly waiter. His name is Reggie. Reggie took such good care of us and was anticipating everything that we wanted like extra napkins, sauces, etc. even before we asked. I thought have we been that many times, but no he was just a customer service oriented waiter and hadn't even been working here that long. Now let's talk food ...I had the whole snapper with escovitch on the side, cabbage & plantains while my husband enjoyed the oxtails and same sides. All I can say is a big chef's kiss to the chef. It was delicious! And there were no delays with arrivals of our meals. If you're looking for a good Jamaican food restaurant near The Battery in Atlanta/Smyrna area, give them a try! I don't believe you will regret it!

Papi's Cuban & Caribbean Grill is a popular spot in Atlanta, with five locations offering delicious Cuban and Caribbean dishes. The restaurant is known for its specialty cocktails and tropical desserts, making it a great place to enjoy a taste of the islands. The owner was inspired by his father's Sunday family meals, which were filled with love and delicious food. Absolutely Exceptional Experience – Above and Beyond Service! I cannot say enough great things about our experience at Papi’s Cuban and Caribbean Grill Midtown! We hosted a graduation dinner for what was supposed to be 16 guests—but turned into 19 by the time we arrived—and the team handled it all with grace, warmth, and professionalism. From the very beginning, the service was excellent. I had made a reservation for 8:30 PM, expecting the graduation ceremony to wrap up on time. But as luck would have it, my niece was seated on the very last row, and the event ran over. I called ahead to let them know we’d be running behind, and the manager, Edwin, could not have been more understanding or accommodating. He assured me they’d be ready—and they were! When we arrived, Edwin had a beautiful section set aside for our group, and his staff welcomed us with kindness and energy. Despite the size of our party and the delay, everyone—from the servers to the kitchen staff—handled everything with genuine hospitality. Edwin, in particular, was a joy to work with. Warm, personable, and incredibly helpful, he made us feel like family. The food was flavorful and authentic, the atmosphere festive, and the service top-tier. If you’re looking for a place in Midtown to host a special occasion—or just enjoy a fantastic meal with wonderful people—look no further than Papi’s. Thank you, Edwin and team, for making our night unforgettable!

Our first time at Papi’s and it did not disappoint. My wife and I usually go to Mary Mac’s Tea Room when we’re in this part of Atlanta. Wanted something different and glad we chose Papi’s. Peter and his team truly know their craft in the kitchen. The food is rich with flavor, and the oxtail is perfectly tender, melting in your mouth with every bite. My husband brought me here for Valentine’s Day. This is their new location. Parking was free. The atmosphere was very cozy and intimate. We had the collard green spring rolls, oxtail dinner, curry chicken dinner and the Mac and cheese. The food was 10/10! They are currently waiting on their liquor license, so no alcoholic beverages right now; but they do have mock tails available. Our server was polite and knowledgeable. We will definitely come back!

Credential: Born Jamaican, eat mostly Jamaicans food, love rice and peas, always eat at cookshop when I go home. Pros The music: not too loud but good volume The atmosphere: went around brunch time, not many people surprisingly. It was calm, clean, love the reggae playlist. The food: food was delicious I enjoyed everything except the rice and peas. Rice and peas needs more flavor Cons May not have lot of parking on busy days No refills, due to no soda machine and freshly made juices RICE AND PEAS. I would give my entire food 10/10 but the rice and peas did not take it home for me so it’s 7/10 for food. Split check issue, I had a party of 5 that wanted to separate checks but seems like it was an issue splitting the check for them.

My wife and I ordered the oxtail and jerk chicken meal. Our total came out to $53. The presentation was mediocre. I wish they would have used compostable to-go boxes with the compartments to separate the veggies, rice, and meat. They put all the food in a single plastic bowl and attempted to separate it in the bowl but I still managed to unpleasantly bite into some small bone bits from the oxtails. There were also two big pieces peppers in the bowl which were very out of place to me. Maybe those peppers were substitutes for scotch bonnet peppers??? I have no idea. The rice and peas was good even though I personally prefer white rice and they didn't have the option to choose the type of rice I wanted. My oxtails were super tender, flavorful, and fell of the bone, but I personally prefer them to still somewhat be on the bone. I love plantains but the plantains at this location were not ripe enough for my liking and they were too dry. My wife rated her jerk chicken a 5/10. She said they were too dry and she had better. She's not Jamaican by the way and I am if that matters lol. Overall, I would definitely recommend people visit the restaurant because it is definitely a nice looking restaurant on the inside with a nice ambiance. As far as the food, maybe we chose to visit on a night when they had a lazy chef in the back. I do think that they are slightly overpriced but it's kind of expected when visiting the Atlanta area.

My husband came here before and wanted me to try this amazing gem. We went when they just opened the new location so they didn’t have drinks but had great mocktail options! We made our own 😆 but food was so good! Coconut shrimp was so good and crunchy and had great entree options it was so hard to decide. This is an amazing gem, I would definitely come again and again 💕💕

Negril transports you right to the Islands! The food was amazing, the decor was beautiful, and the atmosphere was on point. The veggie pattie was flaky and flavorful and the cornbread is delicious. I got the Ital Stew with rice and beans + cabbage. Great size portions for the food and it was super flavorful. Even the bathroom was beautiful and smelled great! The only suggestion I have is adding more dessert options to the menu. Coconut cake, pie, etc. MK took very good care of us, we'll be back!

Visited Negril Atl, because i loved the former location downtown. Mu family was a bit disappointed with food since they came from out of town and wanted the experiance. Smaller atmosphere but free parking. Would check back when they have their liquor licenses. Wish they would have live music. There is a 20% automatic gratuity for a party of 4 and larger. Reservations are recommended.

The restaurant was smaller than expected but the ambiance was really nice. The food was excellent but the service was somewhat rude and not very hospitable. Except for the service everything was great! Not enough ample parking so come early.

Eats is a popular and offbeat eatery known for its big portions of American comfort food served cafeteria-style. Located on Ponce, this casual spot has been a go-to for quick and affordable dinners since the 'Hotlanta' days. The menu offers a variety of meat-and-two options, with the jerk chicken with rice and beans being highly recommended.
One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. We eat here at least once a week. You can't find a better quality of food for such an affordable price. You eat lunch or dinner there and it's as close to a home cooked meal as your going to get. Im pretty bummed out that thry are closing, but I understand and respect their wishes. I wish them all the best and thank you for all your service over the years.

So I've been here previously like 2 or 3 times. It's been a minute since I last visited. I ordered my food through Uber Eats. I got chicken lasagna with salad it was supposed to come with garlic bread that I didn't receive. I ate this plate for dinner and the other for breakfast. The food that I had the next day was white rice with black beans turkey loaf and cornbread. The food was good and tasty when it was warm delicious. Pull up and support if you are in the area. I got my food on 9-16-2025.

Cheap eats. Chicken was seasoned, lack luster salad and garlic bread. Mashed potatoes were ok. A middle of the road experience leaning towards just ok.

Paid respect and drove a distance to get a to-go meal at The Eats.. after reading Bob Hatcher's restaurant closing. The line of people was long, but moved along fairly fast. Once inside several items were sold out ( great sign for business) but other great dishes remained. I ordered their special, which was a meal ( jerk chicken) along with black beans and rice..added mac and cheese for later meal. Today maybe their last day of business- Their business maybe gone but never forgotten.. Here's Kudos for a job well done ✅

Eats restaurant was so amazing! The foods were delicious! We will miss and will keep memory in future. I can’t believe a lot people were in the line since after 11am and they were waiting until the restaurant was open at 12pm. I want to thank you to Benjamin who is hearing impaired and cooking/dishwasher for inviting me. I am supporting to deaf community (Ben, Neil and Janet) and eats restaurant. Glad to see Levi again.

I use to frequent this place often when I lived downtown but not as much once I moved. The BBQ chicken, Jerk chicken and their pasta always are top-tier. They will be missed and there will be a void left when they are gone. Thanks for the love you have for community and the service you provided.

My heart is broken. This is my Friday place. Everyone knows my name when I walk in...Angie Jerk Fish Double-Stack. 😅😭😭😭 What a wonderful crew. What wonderful food - always good - at prices Everyone can afford. It is my cheapest meal of the week and also my favorite. Two tasty dinners, good veggies and a sweet tea...under $40.00. You can barely go out for dinner under $60.00 anywhere else. Friday's were easy...it was our go-to place. We got married on a Friday. Where did we eat? Our Friday place, of course. I didn't want anything else. I honestly feel lost. And this loss feels like a microcosm of all the other losses, both passed and yet to come. It's not Oct 18th yet and I'm hoping for a miracle. But if not, this was my absolute favorite spot in Atlanta and it ALWAYS will be. No grass walls. No cliché menus. No crazy prices. Just good old "welcome in" attitudes that made you feel at home. I'm so sorry you guys. I hope you all read this. Please know that Angie loves you all and I will miss you dearly. Thanks for all the love over the many years. ❤️ ❤️❤️ To the Owner and your amazing crew, well done, you clearly gave your all. Thank you. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏾🫱🏻‍🫲🏾🫱🏻‍🫲🏾🫱🏻‍🫲🏾🫱🏻‍🫲🏾⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Restaurant
Tropical Cuisine is a Jamaican restaurant offering classic island dishes like jerk chicken, curry, and oxtail. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant provides great service and impeccable food. The menu includes options for vegans and pescatarians, with delicious cakes and vegan-friendly curried salmon meals. Visitors from out of town find it worth a visit, praising the friendly staff and diverse menu offerings such as shrimp pasta with homemade tropical sauce.
Picked up my favorite lunch special from here the oxtails! Great size portioned meals. I’ve been getting the same thing from here for a month now and they have not missed yet. $8.99 for a tilapia meal is amazing lunch as well.
Curtis W — Google review
These OXTAILS WERE HORRIBLE & EXTREMELY TOUGH!! I reviewed Tropical Cuisine some years ago, giving them 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ due to the food being amazing and customer service being just as amazing. Unfortunately , that has definitely changed. I'm aware that they have switched owners in the last few years. I have been a bi-weekly regular customer patronizing this establishment since 2010. I have scaled back the last few years but would still go for the curried chicken . I made an error in judgment tonight by attempting to order one of my favorite island meals... Oxtails with rice and peas.. They were tough,it difficult to them with a fork and knife.. I had already come home and prepared to be home for the evening. I called to request a refund, and to my surprise, the ONLY way that I could obtain a refund was if I got up and got dressed and brought the meal back tonight. I wasn't given the fair opportunity to bring it back tomorrow . I have a receipt and spoke with the exact gentleman who took my order. What an inconvenience when your establishment should know when your Oxtails are not prepared well and are undercooked. Needless to say, poor customer service , a horrible experience, and it's to late to eat at this point . I do not recommend this location for your dining experience.

Still a good restaurant, relatively good food with this newer and less than actually Caribbean appearing chefs. I dined in and also picked up a roti (nicely sized)recently after not visiting in about 3 years and it’s lost a bit of its soul. The curry wasn’t really hitting, besides the curry’s flavor there was nothing, no spice, no hint of scotch bonnet, garlic, visible onions sautéed into the mix with the chick peas & potato…anything to remind me as a Trini… that this was authentic. There’s still time to make some improvements.

$7.99 lunch special was amazing and the food was real good . After taxes $8.69 …… It had a spicy kick to it felt like I was on an island in Jamaica eating. The staff was real friendly with smiles on their face and very helpful in me choosing my selection. I had boneless curry chicken with rice and broccoli. The plate was big enough to share it with someone and still get full . No complaints and I’m actually mad at myself for not coming here sooner .

I had the best pasta I have ever had in my life on Friday, January 16, 2025. The next night my stomach started hurting and I started popping all through the night into the morning. I had to risk it and get on the road to get diarrhea medicine and pray for no accidents. Because they have a great health score, I refused to believe this food was the cause as it was so delicious. I blamed it on hotel water, the eggs at another restaurant. I was so convinced it wasn’t this food I even went back to get more food and when I went to leave a review, I saw another reviewer state that she was sick like me after eating on pretty much the same night. I immediately found an un housed person to give the food to and prayed that the sickness had passed from the food and decided to leave this review. I am so disappointed as the tropical shrimp and chicken pasta was absolutely delicious. I had plans to order some and bring back home it was that good. I am still in disbelief. Utter disbelief.

This was my first time, but definitely not my last. I came in during the lunch special & was not disappointed. I got the Chicken Pasta & added Jerk Sauce — chef’s kiss! And they give you decent portions. They are fast as well.

Horrible.. I have lived in Atlanta 30 years and this place has never disappointed. I moved away 2 yrs ago came back through the other day and the ownership changed and the food is not good. My husband had the oxtails ( tougher than leather) my curry goat had no curry flavor. The rice was undercooked. Not one Caribbean in the place cooking. Negative. Pass this place up. 👎🏾

This my second time visiting this spot. It’s been there for years and easy to ride pass because it sit back in the cut, but don’t skip this hidden gem. Everything I ate was good. The chicken roti was huge but was missing a little of something (a kick or something) to tickle my taste buds. The Alfredo salmon pasta is a delicious choice. The Mac n cheese is good and my favorite was the stew whole red snapper. It was fresh and plenty. Worth the money and plenty of food for the cost. Service was friendly and fast. Not much going on inside but majority of people get it to go. And it was clean. Can’t wait to go back to try the roasted eggplant. And there are charging stations for electric cars available also

Jamrock Jerk Center & Grill is a popular Caribbean eatery with multiple locations in Atlanta. It's known for its Jamaican jerk chicken, curry goat, and other flavorful dishes. Despite its food truck format, it has gained a reputation for serving some of the best jerk chicken in the city. The casual space offers professional and friendly service, but prices can add up.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was Caribbean vibes. The staff were very helpful and gave me some great tips being that it was my first time ordering there. I will definitely be recommending to others and returning soon. Specifically, I would recommend the jerk chicken with cabbage and the yellow rice. The oxtails gravy omg omg so much flavor. You will not miss trying the food here. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
BIGFUNCH — Google review
Located on the busy corner of Metropolitan Pkwy & University Ave in West End Atlanta. It's not the most modern styled restaurant, but it has a groovy, hookah styled atmosphere. The patio has covered seating, TV monitors and always good music. It's boasted as having the best Jamaican Food in Atlanta. I usually order the Veggie Plate. It's a decent option if you opt for plant-based options. It's a little disappointing that it only comes with "peas and rice" and way too much cabbage for one meal. The rice barely has any peas mixed in. A couple of fried plantains are included. They're so good! To me, this plate is lacking a bit for the price. Otherwise, the rice is tasty with some curry broth poured over. They also offer Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken and Stew Oxtails. An employee named Maria assisted me on a Saturday night. She gave wonderful, warm service. Parking is easy and right on the side of the building. As a sweet bonus, they have good cake for dessert.

Visited here around noon on a Monday. Parking is free and accessible but limited and tight. The restaurant has a very lively atmosphere and was clean, fresh, and welcoming. The staff seemed a bit occupied and relaxed rather than attentive and welcoming like the restaurant’s atmosphere. I ordered a small oxtail plate. It was a bit overpriced at $26. I had 2 large oxtails, a medium one, and a small one. The food was seasoned well and tasted great however the oxtails were tough and considering the size on top of that, not worth the price at all. I expected that they would fall off the bone given that I’ve spent less and had better quality. I was given 1 napkin with my food and had to ask for more then was given 2 more. I believe anyone serving oxtails or any food cooked in a stew or sauce should know to serve enough paper napkins. They could also use better quality paper products to serve their food in. It wasn’t the worse, but for the price I expected quality food, better service, and serving products. I would try them again and hope for a better experience but would also encourage the restaurant to also give the type of quality experience to customers in exchange for the price that they’re asking to retain customers.

I’ve been to this location twice, and the one in Riverdale I go to all the time. This location failed me both times, not sure what it is. But the rice and peas taste over cooked, mushy. I got the jerk chicken, small and over priced. Chicken was bony, every bite had small pieces of bone in it. $18 for the same meal I pay $12.79 for in Riverdale. Quality is night and day, this spot suck!

atmosphere was bit dark when you walk in. I was disappointed they didn't have lunch specials.. no plantains.. no festivals.. and the jerk chicken was kinda undercooked although it was tender.. Also they drown my rice with gravy.. I CAN SAY FLAVOR WAS THERE.. BUT I won't be going Again.. prices are out my budget and drinks are expensive as well.🤷🏾‍♀️

The place is beautiful however the music was very explicit. I had my two children with me like cmon man at least play the clean version in the day time when kids and elderly visit. Unu can keep the ragga ragga and cussing until midnight. I spent $72 for 1small jerk meal, 1 small oxtail meal, and extra side of oxtail. The food looked so good but the taste of the oxtail was wayyy off. Jerk chicken was okay. Literally worse oxtail I've eaten in my life. Very bland and fat need to trim. Rice had a burnt flavor/scent. Bwoy if you go by looks alone you will be totally deceived. The parking lot is tight you have to know how to drive to park there.
Amanda M — Google review
This food was 🤢 not good at all. Very overpriced for one thing. The cabbage has not taste. The rice was dry the sauce from the oxtail didn’t do no justice for the rice. The oxtails were just not good at all. Waste of money and a waste of time. I drove way over there from my hotel for this crap.
Dee2U S — Google review
I discovered this place driving home and decided to come back and try it. The food is excellent and will not disappoint! The jerk chicken wasn't over seasoned, and you can taste the smokiness while eating it! Paired with the sauce, it was a flavor bomb in your mouth! The shrimp pasta was good, but the shrimp themselves didn't have any seasoning. When eaten with the pasta and the sauce, it creates the perfect bite. You will end up getting more food than expected, and with the friendly staff, you will leave happy.

Food was sooooooo delicious! Every bite had tons of flavor! My boyfriend had the steak and thought it was amazing for $22. I got the fried green tomato BLT for $18 and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Sweet potato fries freshly cut and he loved the macaroni and cheese. Definitely made fresh with a unique recipe. Good music. Genesis was our service and she was great. Will be coming back!

Met for lunch for the friend and we ate on the bar side of the restaurant. So the service was a little different, then had we just gone in the.Regular dining room. He had a regular burger and fries. I had the cuban with sweet potato fries. the food was okay, but the service it was awesome. Be prepared to walk to the restaurant when you do find the space in the neighborhood. Street signs mark clearly that parking is allowed for 2 hours between business hours.

Vickery's always serves delicious bites, whether it's brunch, lunch, or dinner. I had the migos tacos and my daughter had the southern fried chicken with Mac and collards. The collards were really tough with a heavy vinegar taste, but the rest was DELICIOUS! We sat outside and people watched while enjoying our meal.

Sat outside with our pups. The seating is very close to the street, but it was not too noisy. Everyone thought their food was good. Among the group Steak Frites, Grilled Salmon Caprese salad, Fried Green Tomato BLT, and Green Street pasta were ordered. Our server Ian was pleasant and attentive.

I'm shocked at how highly this place is rated. This was the worst meal I've had in a long time. Two stars because it wasn't unsafe and we weren't treated poorly - it was just a very bad, overpriced meal. I paid $15 for "fish and chips" and it was a plate of soggy fries and three previously frozen fish sticks. I'm sitting here looking at a credit card bill of $73 - two beers, two meals - knowing that I'll never come back. I'll also say, the ambiance was bad, too. We wanted to sit outside. Half of the outside area was filled with "regulars" yelling and smoking cigs and cigars - which, good for them, it just made half of the outdoor seats unusable. We sat around the corner outside, and there was no music. Again - for $73, I have a certain expectation. Our server was nice. They have such a fabulous location and a lot of potential. Maybe it used to be better?

Located at the Residence Inn at Marriott on the Georgia Tech campus, Eleventh Street Pub is a casual watering hole known for its sports on TV, trivia nights, and a menu featuring wings, burgers, and sandwiches. It's a popular spot among college kids who rave about the jerk chicken wings. The pub offers a fun atmosphere with fair prices and a variety of wing flavors to choose from. Despite occasional understaffing issues during busy nights, patrons love the cozy dive bar vibe and friendly staff.
Eleventh Street Pub in Midtown is a great neighborhood spot with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The menu has plenty of solid pub classics, and the food portions are generous for the price. The wings and burgers are especially worth trying, and they pair perfectly with the good selection of drinks on tap. Service is friendly and casual, making it easy to feel at home whether you’re there to watch a game, hang out with friends, or grab a quick bite. It’s not a fancy place, but that’s exactly what makes it charming—reliable food, laid-back atmosphere, and a true local feel in the heart of Midtown.

The cheese pull on the macaroni is put of this world. The Buffalo chicken wrap has some pleasantly crispy bits, but was otherwise a bit soggy. The ranch was a bit runny. Otherwise a pretty good place. I am not sure if we're welcome to seat ourselves and they were a bit understaffed so I sat at the bar, though. I'll be back to try again. The bartender was cool.

Okay neighborhood bar, nothing wrong here, and nothing very special either. Best part for us is that they are open later than other area bars and restaurant, so we could eat at 10:45 PM upon arriving in Atlanta. Near several hotels. Small place, some call it a “dive” in the reviews here, to me too clean and nice to be a dive, sort of a “near USA dive” in my book. Wings were good and a fair price at $9.95 for 10 including blue cheese dressing and celery. Looks like no beer on draft, all cans, one point deducted for that, pubs have draft beer people! Server was nice, a tad forgetful, and yet fairly attentive given they were very busy. Scene: It’s noisy, lots of nice young people who have already lost their hearing and thus they don’t realize they are unnecessarily/ comically shouting at the person next to them, it’s free entertainment for other patrons and juicy to unavoidably hear their formerly private matters at max volume. Also fyi there was a super creepy or drunk or both guy staring at one unlucky woman at the bar for 15 minutes straight before she fled, point is that this bar has interesting scenes which is a plus.

Truly…a hidden gem! My husband & I were searching for a Jamaican restaurant with a nice atmosphere headed towards the city & we found this place. Highly recommended! The food was really good . I placed over the phone . I got brown stew chicken add Mac as well. Everything was good but that Mac was the bomb. Most Jamaican spots don’t serve fresh Mac , but theirs was amazing. The brown stew chicken was good you can taste the flavors. The plantains was sweet which I like a lot. The rice and peas was great my baby love them . Chasity was amazing for the service. When the phone disconnected she called back and apologized immediately, it made want to really order the food because I felt like they cared in a way about my hunger lol. Honestly , my food was fresh as heck to be a hour and half before they close . I will be back !

Everything was so flavorful. Jerk chicken was falling off the bone. Oxtail gravy on the rice is the perfect touch. The lunch specials are great prices especially for ratio of food you get. And the workers were very friendly. You definitely gained a new regular.
Casandra S — Google review
I recently visited Island Vibes Caribbean Grill and have mixed feelings about my experience. I ordered the six-piece chicken wings, but to my disappointment, it turned out to be just three wings cut in half, essentially making them drumettes. This felt misleading and not up to expectations. I also requested curry goat gravy to be heavy on my rice, but the gravy was unfortunately quite light, which was another letdown. On the brighter side, the cabbage was okay, and the plantains were cooked just right. While the wings lacked the strong jerk flavor I was hoping for, they were still flavorful in their own way. For dessert, the lemon cake was decent, and I enjoyed washing everything down with a refreshing Calypso. Overall, I would rate my experience a 2.5/5 due to the wing situation and the light gravy. There were some positives, but the key elements I was looking forward to fell short.

Food taste as if it was microwaved. Rice was too soft cabbage too soft neither had flavor! I would give 0 stars! Ew so glade I didn’t order the Mac and cheese. Jerk patty had little to no meat! I’ll never go back

This place has some of the best island food I've ever had. I have been maybe 6 or 7 times now and since the first visit it has seemed that I am not welcome. Today the food was awesome as usual and I wont describe the interaction but I left with zero doubt that I am a burden to this business. There are plenty of other places that could use my support. Great food but goodbye Island Vibes.

Authentic Jamaican Food and the portion sizes will make you thank the Creator :D -- I've explored most of the menu as an American, and not only LOVE everything that I have had, the seasonings and the flavor in every dish are SUBLIME; tender fall-off-of-the-bone meats (yes, even in the Chicken Noodle Soup!), ox tail, wings, you name it. One word: TENDER. This is another staple restaurant, they are also very consistent and are my meal of choice when recovering from any illnesses; the Chicken Noodle Soup.... I've said enough. Stop by, give it a try! You'll be back, I'll be back!

The food was so good that I went twice this week. Jerk pork dinner with beef patty was delicious. I had not been in a while because I also felt like the staff at the front counters were less than friendly in the past; however, the young ladies present both times were definitely a breath of fresh air. Special shout out to the chef.. every component was hot, fresh, and tender.
Aunt E — Google review
My first time eating from here, everything was very good. Oxtails were full of flavor and melted in my mouth. Second time eating from here, oxtails weren't tender at all and could've used more flavor. Rice was a little bland. Mac n cheese was delicious tho! Please continue to put love into the food when cooking and before serving, especially the oxtails.

1st visit and customer service is horrible. I stood at the counter for almost two minutes while the cashier continued cleaning before even greeting me. The food had good flavor, but it was served cold—and I clearly heard the microwave being used in the back before my plate was handed to me. When I was leaving and said “Thank you,” the cashier could barely respond with a “you’re welcome.” Overall, very poor service.

Nestled in the Peachtree Pavilion Shopping Center, Conch Heaven is a beloved gem for Caribbean cuisine enthusiasts. This spot has garnered a dedicated following thanks to its mouthwatering offerings. Diners rave about the conch fritters, which are delightfully soft and flavorful, often enjoyed with or without sauce. The menu also features other delectable dishes like jerk chicken and cracked conch that leave patrons coming back for more.
Went here for the first time, and the food was so good I came back the very next day for more. Five Stars 🔥 In Photo: Crack Conch, Rice & Peas, Steamed Cabbage, Mac & Cheese

They definitely give you your money’s worth because that plate was heavy! Lol. I got the jerk chicken, cabbage, plantain, cracked conch and conch fritters. Everything was delicious but my favorites were the conch fritters and cracked conch. Customer service was also great!

The fried conch and pigeon peas and rice was very good; and I got the conch fritters. And I added lemon juice to my conch which gave it that original Caribbean flavor. My taste buds were completely satisfied.

This hole in the wall is amazing. Akira always has a smile. She's friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The Cracked Conch and Cracked Lobster are succulent and delicious. Crispy, flavorful crust and tender, luscious meat combined in perfect harmony.

I’ve been seeing this place for a while but never tried it. While I was eating at a nearby restaurant I walked over to order the conch fritters & Guava duff. Unfortunately they were out of the Guava duff but I ordered the 6 piece Conch fritters. As seen in the picture there are only 4 conch fritters because I ate two before I remembered to take a picture. This was my first time trying conch fritters and they were really good. It came with a sauce that I didn’t try because it tasted great by itself. It reminds me of saltfish fritters that we eat in Jamaica The lady that took my order was really welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be back to order the conch fritters again and try something else.

We were surprised to see Conch Heaven while driving around in Doraville, we stopped and placed a order. However when we went in no one was at the counter. The cook came and took our order and we finally got our Conch fritters. These fritters are very soft and delicious. We will be back to check out some other items. Real score 4.2

This is a great spot if you're in need of that favorite island menu item, conch. This was my second time ordering from this location, first in person, second delivery, and the conch is always on point! The rum cake lasted for days as the size provided allows you to cut on it and eat a nice portion with meals in days that follow. I had oxtail, not pictured, conch fritters, and cracked conch. My only disappointment on my second plate was the plantains were overcooked and the macaroni was soggy. This wasn't my experience the first time around. I definitely recommend. The food is flavorful and plentiful!

This review is long overdue! Sorry Neirah! You and the entire staff were amazing. The food and customer service was a 10/10 experience! My friend & I ordered family style, so we shared the Oxtail Tacos, The Rasta Pasta, & the Curry Shrimp ... let me tell you, not a single flaw in their recipe! The food came out just right, from the seasoning, to the spice level, to the texture ... Mobay Spice has it down to a science! I used to live in New York City so my standards for good Jamaican food are pretty high & Mobay Spice exceeded my expectations. Easily the best Caribbean restaurant I've been to thus far in Atlanta! Keep being awesome guys! & once again, special thanks to Neirah! You were amazing & I hope to see you all back again soon!

My best friend brought me here, the first experience was great. Had a little stickler with our dessert order. We went back the following week because the food was that good. Will definitely go back again before leaving Atlanta. May they have continued success and blessings to move to a bigger space. Charlie is an awesome bartender as well.

I’m sooo aggravated! Just went here on my lunch break and ordered curry chicken with white rice! It’s on my ticket and the lady that took my order confirmed it! I get all the way back to work and they gave me curry over rice and peas. the rice is sooo disgusting I can’t even eat the chicken! And to top it all off the manager get on the phone acting stupid asking can I bring it back to exchange it ! No I can’t because yall just wasted my time! I’m pissed after spending almost $30 on this crap! Update: They called me only after I made this review to offer what could have been offered in the beginning! Please don’t get on this internet trying to save face because while I was upset I never used profanity once! This is a lie and I know you read my review because you quoted things from the review! It’s no big deal because I would never eat here again! And the quality of your food doesn’t matter if it’s not what I ordered! So please stop with the lies! And please stop calling harassing me because I’m not taking down my honest review! And yes after you’ve called me for the 3rd time I said STOP CALLING MY DAMN PHONE! No I wouldn’t trust y'all to feed my dog at this point! This could’ve been resolved without a negative review if you would’ve offered a solution before the review! You only offered a solution after the review was made! And please don’t make me upload the voice recording because I recorded all 3 calls! I suggest you just leave me alone! Because if your food is as good as you say this review shouldn’t hurt your restaurant! But Monday I will be on the line with the health department and whomever else! You’ve played with the wrong one today!!!

Quick review Oxtail tacos - flavorful but meat wasn’t hot Seafood mac - island flavored, but not spicy 🌶️ with generous amount of real lump crab and shrimp Extended Visited this location on a recent trip after seeing an Instagram post. One of the things I’ve learned is to ask is, if the full menu is available, and ask for the specific meal I want. I saw an oxtail flatbread, however they said it’s coming soon, but did have other oxtail options to choose from. I ended up going with the Oxtail tacos . Flavor was on point! But I must admit the meat wasn’t hot or even warm. Not sure if that was the intention, buttttttttt it was still bussin! The meat, mango salsa, slaw and tortillas were all 😘 delicious! I also got the seafood mac. It had shrimp and REAL (I did ask) lump crab meat. Now this was piping hot 💨, just out the over. You can definitely taste the spice in the dish, but in a good way. It wasn’t overpowering just really flavorful. They do include an 18% service charge, which is common in this city.🤷🏽‍♀️ The decor was on point. Complete Jamaican 🇯🇲 island theme 🌴🌺. It was so pleasing to the eye. Even down to the bathroom decor! They have a cute picture area in the back that will be great for photos. They did have some tropical juices to select from but I stuck with water. Oh yeah they use paper straws. Just FYI

If you're craving authentic Jamaican cuisine, Mobay Spice is the place to be! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly transports you to the island. The menu is packed with a variety of mouthwatering dishes, but I highly recommend trying their jerk chicken – perfectly spiced and grilled to perfection. The tender meat paired with their homemade jerk sauce is simply irresistible. Neirah our hostess was amazing 👏🏾

The food taste that of grease no rich flavors, not to mention my raw vegetables literally taste like they’ve been cup up and served. The price is a bit much as well for a one size. I’m from up north & this is Americanized.

Chris' Caribbean Bistro is a must-visit spot for delicious Caribbean cuisine. The Bahamian Seafood Soup and the oxtail with rice and beans are highly recommended dishes, bursting with amazing flavors. The portion sizes are generous, and the service is friendly and accommodating. The jerk chicken egg rolls and curry goat with coconut rice are also standout menu items. The cozy environment, great music, and top-notch service make it a perfect dining experience for both locals and visitors alike.
I dined here on Saturday with a friend who was visiting. We wanted to eat somewhere close to where she was saying and she had a recommendation to eat here. This was an excellent choice. The food was delicious, especially the Bahamian Seafood Soup. The portion sizes were great.I live on the south side, but this will not deter me from driving here at least once a month. It is worth it. The young lady who served as our waitress gave great recommendations and was super friendly. I even brought some soup home for my mom and she loved it. Certainly my favorite Caribbean food spot in metro Atlanta.

Picked up takeout from here in early November. My husband ordered two ox tail plates and wings. Spent over $50. We weren’t impressed. The cabbage was flavorless and wasn’t steamed thoroughly; it was still crunchy and raw. For the cost, I’ll stick to my local Jamaican spot that gives more ox tails per plate.

I had a great experience at Chris’s Jamaican bistro! The food was hot and fresh! The conch fritters are Balls if you’re wondering, but they were delicious! The lemonade was good too ( no refills). I’ve been back a few times and the food is even better! Love this place and staff!

Delicious food and great customer service! The restaurant wasn’t too busy when I came in. The ambiance was nice and the vibe felt good. My husband and I LOVE this place! The environment, the food, the music, and the service were all great! OMG!!! This is the most flavorful work of art I’ve had in years. The flavors just explode in every direction in your mouth!!! I had the oxtail with rice and beans as well is the Island Mango Habanero tossed wings!!!! Oh the sweetness & the heat in the most amazing sauce is well balanced and full of wonderful goodness!!!! Both the wings and oxtail were so tender, fall off the bone!!!! I can’t believe no one has told me about this place!!! Thank you to the chef!!!!

Great place for Carib food. Authentic tasting and the roto was really good!! We’re so stuffed after our meals.... the portions are great and so is the service. This food is terrible! Definitely not real Jamaican food. I should have gone with my first mind to not eat there. The young lady at the front was on her phone the entire time. When I asked questions regarding the menu, either she didn't know or she was irritated because I asked questions. The fish wasn't seasoned. Box Mac and cheese. It looks like it was warm I the microwave with cheap cheese. Rice and peas were old and hard. Jerk sauce on the rice, and peas tasted burnt. The only thing tasty was the plantains. It's terrible all the way around. The young lady needs to get her appearance together as well. Not professional looking nor clean. I will not return here. Complete waste of my money and I'm still hungry.

The food was TERRIBLE!!!! It tastes like it’s processed not authentic at all it smelled and taste sour the Irish moss is no blended well it’s separated in the bottle and the prices are outrageous…. Don’t waist your time or money I throw the whole thing away right in the parking lot

First time eating here. Had the small Pepper Steak entree over rice and peas w/ cabbage & Mac and cheese. EVERYTHING taste good, the pepper steak was a little too greasy that I’d like it to be. Next time I come I’ll try other things on the menu. This meal cost somewhere between $15-$16

$18 plate - The Jerk chicken needs some work, or less work 🥲. The mac and cheese is not it, the white rice is less than not it, and the black beans ah gwaan wid a likkle vibe. I tried the chicken & fish patties and would not recommend them. Also, I ordered curry chicken but the man was alone and forgot my order.
Nancy J — Google review
. I had to come and put my review in after eating trash Jamaican food up here in St. Paul. The consistency is there! The cabbage is always perfectly cooked and seasoned. Cut perfectly even. The peas n rice is seasoned well and not bland at all. And the plantains are always properly caramelized. The portions are good for the price. And the chicken always falls off the bone. The jerk seasoning is perfection. I love Taste of Tropical and will visit every time I come to Atlanta as long as they are open. Maybe there is better out there but I’ve tried quite a few spots and no one is as consistent and cooked well every time. And I lived in Atlanta for 16 years prior to 2017…so they have longevity. I love them!

Service- amazing! Super friendly Food- the food was good. The jerk chicken was tender and seasoned AMAZING I loved the rice! The cabbage I wasn’t crazy about (I 💭 they use Italian seasoning which kinda threw me off.) Overall- I would def come back! I think it was worth it 💯

I always read the reviews after I eat at a place and it’s interesting when someone else commented on a similar issue and seeing the place having much time to read reviews and update the issue, some choose not to. Fried snapper was large, crispy, delicious, well presented, and the toppings on top were delicious. The fish was fresh and he showed it to me before he fried it, indeed very fresh and pretty lol. It’s $35 but with tax and tip you’re more like $48. Which is still fair because to buy that fish raw it could easily be $25 or more in some places. Not for a lunch budget. The cabbage was fresh and not overcooked, I like that. Taste like home cooking. I got double cabbage instead of rice and peas. I wish they had more sides/veggies and beef main options but I know they are sticking to the Jamaican staples with the spacing they have to work with. Plantains fresh & good, not so sweet and I always want more than them 2-3 slices. No Greeting from lady. When you have many people walking by your place reading the menu, it’s hard to tell who’s ready. The other restaurants seem to greet you and suggest their menus out front when they see you looking. Stack of cash out in open. They could use a cohesive uniform or shirt. The fish was so good, I know the oxtails good. Wanted more items on menu for me. I’d order the Snapper again.
Joseph S — Google review
Best Jamaican food I have ever had. The jerk is unreal, oxtail amazing, wings are cooked to perfection. They don’t miss on the plantains. Just don’t show up late on Saturday, they stay busy and sell out of some items. Absolutely amazing food, service and environment.

The fried jerk catfish was DELICIOUS! I had to get one to go. We went for lunch, so the portion is a little smaller. Cabbage, rice & peas, and plantain were all great! The chef talked with us about the seasonings & I watched him prepare some dinner oxtails. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ & 🌙 First time here and it was a Nice experiences. I work nearby and discovered a lot of restaurants in one Market Place. Which was great! The Crew was very nice and explained what I was ordering in detail…… So for the Red Snapper. I would say that it was very good. Flavorful with a little Brown Stew & twist of vinegar. The side were about as good as any Good Jamaican Restaurant…. I hope in near future to have more Pescatarian options. The Chief was very NICE! & The Sous Chief! I believe they Said the price was Market Price.

The Fried Jerk Catfish was delicious and the seasoning was splendid. I am not a large Jamaican jerk guy and have only had it a few times, but this is what I imagine good jerk seasoning to taste like. If I were to go back, I’d definitely do the wings as those had me salivating when other customers were ordering it!

The food is excellent and the staff is even better. The ranch wings are seriously the best wings I've ever had and the Jamaican dishes are plentiful and delicious as well. I read the reviews....but I had to try them for myself. I order yesterday but door dash crashed so the driver kept my order 😃😃. Tried again today determined to try they oxtails but I was too early 😂. My son ordered curry goat and I was like what the heck cause I didn’t want to deal with a refund so I just substituted for the oxtails. I was ready to complained because I wanted oxtails but I can’t. Curry goat tender and sides amazing. The guy gave us extra stuff because the oxtails wasn’t ready. I’m going to try again for them oxtails tho 😂😂😂. Thanks 😊

I never leave bad reviews but I have to in this instance. I ordered via DoorDash and I am very disappointed. What kind of rice and peas has no peas?! And the curry goat?! Tough and chewy, I couldn’t even eat it. How can you go wrong with curry?! Never ordering again.

My top choice for authentic Jamaican food. After going to several so called Jamaican restaurants around Atlanta and Dekalb; Jerk Wingz are by far the best spot in Metro Atlanta. The food I will say is delicious. DO NOT HIRE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL MAN FOR CATERING PURPOSES! My sister hired him to cater her wedding yesterday (April 2nd 2017) and he was a no show. We called him and his excuse was "she told me it was next Sunday". That was a lie! He recieved his contract and email stating every single detail that he needed to know about this wedding which include the date and time. Along with that, he barely answers his phone and he doesn't respond to emails in a timely fashion. The food is delicious but DON'T HIRE HIM TO CATER ANYTHING! HE WILL RAISE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE WITH THE LACK OF POROFFESSIONALISM!
