It was good. Very loud. Friendly police. Really good costumes. But it did not flow as well as expected messy streets from alcohol bottles everywhere.

A must go! One of the nicest neighborhood of London, and if you go in Carnival time it's a beautiful street party. Don't miss it. Very colour full party, and you can drink and eat on the street.

Festival
All Points East is an annual music festival held in East London's Victoria Park, featuring a diverse lineup of renowned artists such as LCD Soundsystem, Death Cab for Cutie, and Nas. The event offers a variety of food options and ample space to explore different stands. While some attendees noted challenges with stage visibility due to its inclination, others praised the improved security and organization compared to previous years.
Really well laid out festival , we didn’t queue for food, drinks or toilets all day. Lots of space and places to shelter from the sun too. Great variety of food and drinks and we loved all the themed and branded bars. We went to APE Postal Service and Death a for cutie which is an absolute dream gig for me - we had the best time!
Winny W — Google review
Sound on main stage wasn't the best for LCD Soundsystem. Smaller stages was much better. Lots of bars but £7 a tinnie for Madri is insane, what a rip off.
Marky — Google review
Excellent day festival. Absolutely huge. Multiple stages. Lots of good food options for vegans. The VIP garden was very chilled out and worth the extra money. Great day out. Dermot Kennedy was fantastic.
Jon C — Google review
I absolutely love APE and have been coming every year for quite a while. It’s well run, has an excellent lay out and typically I rarely experience queues for toilets or bars. Cant recommend it enough. I will say that this year we decided to splurge for VIP but I was disappointed with that - you can get fast track entry already if you are an Amex cardholder, so that wasn’t much of a perk, and all it gets you access to is the VIP garden which is behind the east stage so you can’t actually see any artists while you’re there. I would’ve thought VIP would have gotten you better views or something at least. I actually queued longer for food and a drink in the VIP than I did at the regular part. The second day I didn’t even use the VIP section at all. But perhaps that is just me! I do like to be in the middle of things and VIP made it feel a bit like you weren’t actually at the festival which I didn’t like. But otherwise great festival, a lot of fun.
Louise R — Google review
Overall a great day at all points east however once The Strokes started the sound guy took it upon himself to turn the volume down to levels that would have even been deemed acceptable within a library. The volume would be unacceptable for classical music let alone a rock gig. It's safe to say I'd avoid this festival at all costs in the future. The organisers should be ashamed of themselves and offer refunds to all those affected by this train crash of a gig. No doubt anyone that paid for a golden circle ticket were unaffected.
Joe H — Google review
Very bad experience tell me vip ticket for very vey expensive and very poor vip
Alejandro Z — Google review
Excess noise and human traffic. First we have to deal with all the road closures, then the loud humming of bass and then all the drunks filling up the streets until 1 to 2am. Makes it harder for the locals to enjoy their summer holidays.

Park
The Chelsea Flower Show is a highly anticipated annual event that takes place at the end of May in London's Royal Hospital in Chelsea. It is renowned as one of the most prestigious and famous flower shows globally, drawing visitors from all over. The event features breathtaking flower displays and offers a delightful opportunity to explore the charming neighborhood while enjoying the stunning floral arrangements. The show runs for a week, with varying hours throughout the week, making it accessible to both locals and tourists alike.
A great experience which everyone should do once however I think for the price of the ticket you are not getting that much’ flower show’ as opposed to vendors selling all manner of goods. The exhibits were great but difficult to see with the immense crowds. I felt that the show had become increasingly commercial and less about the amazing designs.
Zaahid B — Google review
We been to many flower shows in the world. This was on my wife's bucket list as it is world famous. it well deserves its reputation. The displays were amazing. We spent hours there. The food vendors are pricey.
Mike L — Google review
Second visit to the Chelsea flower show, and we enjoyed it very much again. You need to prepare yourself for the busy nature of the place, and some may find it a little overwhelming and maybe not as enjoyable as a result. The displays are of course extremely impressive, but seeing them can be a little challenging at times depending on when you’re there. The best part is the marquee with the range of displays and content being very good indeed. A few things to note are: queues are inevitable at toilets and at the show gardens, there’s not a lot of places to sit and rest, the food and drink range is fine but no more than that, and tv coverage can cause significant hold ups to the flow depending on where filming takes place. Best days to go are the members days as we found it less busy than the public days. Overall we enjoyed the experience again and we’d definitely visit again in the future, but appreciate that some may not find it quite their thing fir the reasons above.
David C — Google review
A lovely day out. We went on a members' day but still extremely busy. A bit disappointed that show gardens could not be explored into ( as we have done at The Hampton Court Flower Show). Drinks and food are expensive. Pimms £16 for a plastic cup half filled with ice. Tea in a small takeaway cup £3.90. So either be prepared or take your own Pimms in cans as we did! A catalogue will set you back £17, it does have a map! But there are plenty of maps around and signposts, and you can photograph a map at the beginning.
Helen R — Google review
Chelsea Flower Show more than just flowers. Everywhere you look, blooms and plants compete for attention, but so do the visitors: hats adorned with flowers, bold outfits and all the little touches meant to impress. It's part exhibition, part fashion show, entirely delightful.....and yes, I'd happily hit repeat 🌸🌺🌿.
Valeria K — Google review
This is a must, at least once in your life. Many memorable exhibitions. Among others, I will recommended you to visit the sculptures of Paul Vanstone. Very talented artist with fair priced statues.
Per S — Google review
Wonderful experience at the Chelsea Flower Show. Great gardens, fabulous displays and high quality vendors. Even with a little rain a fabulous (if not a little expensive) day out!
Darren M — Google review
I have visited Chelsea flower show before, this year’s visit did not disappoint, amazing floristry & garden displays, Monty Don’s garden was the one garden that was very hard to see & thought it was a bit overrated tbh, there were other gardens that I thought were better & easier to see. I brought a half day ticket as it worked out cheaper than a full day & crowds do decrease from 5:30pm onwards. Plenty of free water stations to refill drinks bottles. Only disadvantage is that there is not enough seating areas.

Festival
Taste of London is a massive food festival held in Regent's Park, where numerous renowned restaurants come together to offer their best dishes. It's an opportunity to explore emerging London chefs and food ventures, participate in tastings, and observe masterclasses. Additionally, visitors can indulge in the quintessential English tradition of afternoon tea at one of the city's charming tea rooms. The festival offers a wide array of flavors and new products to try, along with high-quality dishes from various restaurants.
I had the pleasure of attending Taste of London, marking my second time at this delightful event. Once again, it proved to be an exhilarating experience filled with culinary adventures and vibrant entertainment. The array of food and drink offerings was impressive, showcasing the best of what the food and beverage scene has to offer. From tantalising street food to gourmet dishes, there was something to satisfy every palate. While some delicacies required a purchase, many treats were generously offered for free. The complimentary goodies were a highlight, adding an extra layer of joy to the overall experience. The event's setup was spectacular, transporting attendees to a setting that felt refreshingly different from the typical UK scene. The cool tents, featuring private lounges and bars, provided cozy spots to relax and savor the atmosphere. The addition of tents with talented DJs added a lively soundtrack to the festivities, ensuring there was never a dull moment. Taste of London perfectly balances indulgence and entertainment. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply looking for a fun day out, this event is a must-visit. I can't wait to return next year for another round of culinary delights and unforgettable memories.
Bezawit A — Google review
Great experience with my partner for the first time at this event, the vibe and staff were very helpful and fun. The food was amazing too and there were not too much waiting times for restaurants which made the overall experience smooth! Would definitely come again.
Arsanti R — Google review
Nice event but really, really crowded. One of the two QR codes didn’t work so we lost 3 dishes that we had paid for. Really upsetting. Food portions are tiny (2 to 3 bites) for the price (£12-14 per special dish). The restaurants they exhibit lose what make them special without the proper kitchen and ambiance. Won’t go back.
L W — Google review
The best restaurants in one place where you can try a selection of their meals in the form of smaller tasting plates. The festival happens over 5 days in Regent's park and it's not just about eating! There are workshops and fun activities to do so you'll have so much fun outside of food. The festival is over this year but this is your reminder to make sure you are there in 2024! . We tried: 🍤Prawn croquettes at @BarKroketa 🌭Pintxo Moruno Hotdog at @BarKroketa 🍝Truffle pasta at @Bigmamma 🫓Roast peking duck pancakes at @dumplinglegends 🐔Korean wings at @fleshandbuns 🍸Mirror margaritas at @Hacha . In my opinion, it is overpriced considering you pay for the entry AND for food&drinks. The portions of the food tend to be fairly small. It’s good fun and vibe especially on a sunny day but be prepared to spend a lot of money. . 💸Tickets start at £24, small tasting plates and drinks range between £8-12 so if you try 4 meals (sharing between 2 ppl) and 2 cocktails you spend on average £60-90pp which surely is a bit spenny considering you could get a lush dinner for that in a high-end restaurant. However, Taste is the biggest and best food festival in London and if you love food and discovering new places, I think it's worth going at least once! . 📍London, Regent's Park ⭐️ 5/5 💸 ££ 🍴 Today we couldn't miss the greatest food festival in #London! 🤤 36 of the City’s best restaurants in one place, full of flavours, hype new products to try and delicious high level dishes. We went for the amazing Pork Belly Bulgogi and the Scotch Bonnet Glazed Pork Rib from @hotboxldn 🍖 Then we tried (again) the Lobster Roll Slider from @burgerandlobster 🦞 and the Loaded Tater Tots from @bonedaddies. We won several tote bags, tried 1000 different kind of alcohols such as the @uche.rum or the delish @godminster Black Truffle Cheddar🔝

Review of Taste of London: I went there today for my first time, and it was amazing! I loved it, but towards the end, people were treated terribly by security, who were rude and passive-aggressive. We understand we need to leave, but please make an announcement that the event is over with a thank you for coming as a courtesy.

British restaurant
The Blue Boar Pub is a contemporary pub offering international beers, ales, and delicious comfort food. It is associated with the Pub in the Park festival curated by TV chef Tom Kerridge, which combines great British pub atmosphere with live music performances. The festival takes place across four weekends in different locations around London throughout the summer. The pub itself offers a menu of smokehouse classics including 24-hour smoked ribs, pulled lamb shoulder, and a carpetbagger steak stuffed with oysters.
Don’t think for one second that I’m exaggerating when I say, I’m impressed. Wayne, was our bartender and from start to finish, made me and my wife feel at home and well taken care of. He was well versed in everything we asked about and had well thought out recommendations. He had everyone around us laughing and enjoying the evening. We had ignorant questions, and some annoying requests that he happily accommodated without batting an eye. The behind the scenes staff needs to be thanked as well. The BLT they made on the fly for us was outstanding! You can tell, he, and the entire establishment really cares about our satisfaction and we will absolutely be back and recommend coming here. The toilets are top notch too. Felt like a private country club. The staff truly takes pride in their work and we’ve noticed it. Well done!

With no reservation, the manager made it happen within a few minutes.our server,Rhianna, was welcoming, friendly, professional, attentive. In additional, the meal was great. Mint pea soup, beat salad, burger, steak. Yummy!

We had a great meal the food was very good and the service from Rihanna was great. The drinks were excellent they had a fully stocked bar and were able to make most any drink. The reason I mention this is because 🇬🇧 🇮🇪 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 seem to worship Beer and Whiskey so much they seem to forget there is a world of choices out there.

We walked into this pub on a busy afternoon expecting a long wait, but were immediately offered seats at the bar—what a welcome surprise! Despite the crowd, the service was absolutely outstanding. The bartender Wayne didn’t miss a beat—friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made fantastic drink recommendations that we never would have picked ourselves, and they were spot-on. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. I had the fish and chips and quite possibly the best I’ve had. My daughter got a veggie burger and said it was incredible. Even with how busy it was, everything came out promptly and perfectly. It’s rare to find a place where the energy is high, the service is personal, and the food and drinks are consistently great. We left full, happy, and already planning a return visit. Highly recommend grabbing a bar seat if you can!
Jen M — Google review
Food are not bad here except for the pints of shrimps which was way too fishy for our taste. Service wise felt rushed as they just served everything at the same time. Nice clean washroom and seats of the restaurant, not a bad place for lunch or having a break from visiting Westminster Abbey.
Charmander L — Google review
Out of all the pubs/restaurants I’ve been to this week (and 1 glance at my untapped will give you an idea) this has been the most incredible meal, excellent service and honestly just all around pleasant interactions! Livia has been the most helpful this evening, suggesting alternative beer options, find out what desserts I might like and going above and beyond to make sure I am enjoying my meal + evening. Will definitely be returning again whether this trip or next to hopefully have an identical or even better experience!
Alexandra M — Google review
I chose this pub as it’s based in Westminster where my friend who was visiting from Buffalo was staying and I also wanted her to try a Sunday roast. The food came pretty quickly and the service was great but only small criticism is that it the food came lukewarm. The Yorkshire pudding was slightly burnt and I had to ask for more gravy but the potatoes were delicious and so was the duck which is the option I went for.
Brunetty D — Google review
Louis was our bar tender and he was wonderful. When walk up to the bar we were great with a big smile. He asked how our day and what we would like to drink. As he was making our drinks we started conversation. We shared where we were from (USA) how our travels were going and shared his hobbies and we shared ours. We enjoyed our time there with so much that we came back the next evening to see him. He even help me take a picture of our granddaughters new Paddington Bear we bought for her.

London Design Festival, taking place from September 15th to 23rd, is a citywide celebration of top-notch design work across various fields such as architecture, project design, and graphic design. The festival features talks, tours, special installations, exhibitions and more. One highlight is the Creative Studio at the V&A which will showcase a dazzling display by design studio Pentagram as part of the Dazzle Ship series. Additionally, there will be a film presented by art historian Dr.
The London Design Festival is something for London and visitors to celebrate. The public art on display enhances your sense of place and space. The photo I have uploaded is one example of this. At Stand Aldwych (itself now a wonderful public space in the heart of London), you can find this installation by Simon Brewster of 5 large-scale sculptural vessels called "Spirit Of Place"

Super exciting events, but absolute disaster organisation-wise.. Even though you've paid for membership, you still have to register for each event to book your place.. (no-one informed you that this is how it works) typically once you realise that most interesting events are already unavailable.. So being honest, I don't understand the point of the membership.

Hyde Park Bandstand is a historic landmark in London, dating back to 1886. It features ornate iron columns and an octagonal stage and roof, providing excellent acoustics for musical performances. The bandstand hosts a variety of events, including an upmarket festival vibe with food, drink, and a VIP area during weekends in June and July. It has welcomed big names like Robbie Williams and Andrea Bocelli for headline performances.
Lovely park for picnics, runs, fun races and time out with family and friends.

The Hyde Park Bandstand is a landmark bandstand that has been in place since 1886. It features ornate iron columns and an octagonal stage and roof. Originally built in 1869, it stood in Kensington Gardens before being moved to Hyde Park. Its octagonal roof provides particularly good acoustics. The Friends of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens organize free concerts at the bandstand.

Lovely Space, with lots to do and see. Spend some time in the Rose Garden
Samantha C — Google review
London’s oldest bandstand (1869) in the south-eastern sector near the boating lake hosts a splutter of occasional music events. The setting is not particularly picturesque nor inviting. Listless, evoking a tangible “end of season” aftermath of ennui and angst. Here... the circus has left town..
Jeff B — Google review
A lovely little spot in the middle of Hyde Park! The bandstand is a charming historic structure surrounded by open space, trees, and often filled with the sounds of music or birdsong. Whether there's a live performance or it's just a quiet day, it’s a perfect place to sit, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. Great stop during a walk through the park — peaceful, picturesque, and full of old-world charm

Had a great time on 13 June 2024 to see Jack Savoretti at the Hampton Court Festival. Although it was a little wet at times it didn’t dampen the spirits of everyone there. It’s an amazing space and perfect size audience.

I’m a member of historical royal palaces and love Hampton court palace. I have visited quite a few times and with Hampton court only 15mins away from home. Today, very disappointed by one of the stalls here at the artisans fair. I tried this persons samples of olives and actually loved the spiced ginger which I intended to buy. I did ask for a small portion and the older man filled the scoop. I said only a quarter of that was needed so he bagged up a very small portion and told me it would cost £5.00. I told him it was too expensive for such a small portion and said thank you but I’ll leave it this time. On walking away he said thanks and then advised me I was a “total waste of space”, I approached his colleague giving out the samples who apologised for him but this man’s attitude was not acceptable and I will be informing the organisers of this event. I’ll add also that so far my wife and myself have purchased from other stalls spending over £100.00. So not here for the freebies. See picture of the older man stall c12, ZK Olives

Hyde Park, a Grade-listed Royal Park in Westminster, spans over 340 acres and is a favorite among tourists and locals. It offers various activities such as tennis, boating, swimming in the Serpentine lake, and horse riding. Visitors can also pay tribute to Princess Diana at the Memorial Fountain or enjoy refreshments at several cafes within the park. This centrally located park is a must-visit for anyone exploring London, with attractions like the Serpentine Gallery and Kensington Gardens.
This is a truly excellent park! The space is enormous, offering a peaceful escape from London's busy streets. I was impressed by how well-signposted the paths are, making it easy to explore. There's plenty of room to relax, have a picnic, or just enjoy the nature. The best part was seeing all the wildlife wandering freely – from the herds of deer to the squirrels, different birds, and the swans on the ponds. It's amazing to find such a vast and beautiful garden right in London. 👍🏻

A truly iconic place in London. Such a spacious and relaxed place to be in whatever season. A dog friendly and kids friendly park to be with a number of coffee kiosk and toilet scattered in the park. My fabulous place is near the round pond and the Diana memorial gardens. Definitely worth a visit either bring a tourist or resident here.

The Hyde Park located in Central London is one of the finest places to visit for any tourist or resident of the city. It is a huge park spread over several acres of land. It has open spaces where you can see walkers, joggers, cyclists, pets, people playing and pedestrians enjoying the view and nature. Many musical and social activities are conducted here. A large Lake called Serpentine Lake adorns the Park where boating and swimming at select places is available. The park also has landmarks such as Diana Memorial Fountain, Speakers’ Corner, Holocaust Memorial etc. One can watch ducks and other flora and fauna as we walk through. A visitor can enjoy food and drink at the Serpentine Cafe. A pleasure to visit.

🌳 My Visit to Hyde Park, London Visiting Hyde Park was a refreshing escape in the heart of London. One of the city’s largest and most famous parks, it spans over 350 acres and offers a mix of natural beauty, historical landmarks, and recreational activities. Walking through the park, I enjoyed the Serpentine Lake, the Rose Garden, and the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, which added charm and serenity to the surroundings. Hyde Park is perfect for walking, cycling, boating, or simply relaxing. I also noticed plenty of cafes and open spaces for picnics, making it ideal for families and tourists. Visitor Tips: Wear comfortable shoes and allow 2–3 hours to explore. Check for seasonal events or outdoor exhibitions, and consider renting a boat at the Serpentine during summer. How to Reach: Hyde Park is easily accessible from Marble Arch, Lancaster Gate, Hyde Park Corner, or Knightsbridge Underground stations, and several bus routes run along its perimeter. Overall, Hyde Park is a must-visit in London — a perfect combination of greenery, history, and leisure right in the city center.

Hampton Court Palace, originally built for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey in the 16th century, became a royal residence when King Henry VIII confiscated it. The palace boasts Tudor and Baroque architecture and was used by British monarchs until the 18th century. Visitors can explore its numerous rooms through self-guided tours organized by themes. The palace's gardens, tennis court, and hedge maze are also popular attractions.
A huge sprawling estate which covers so much area over multiple floors. It is like a small town all tied into a single building. The building is fascinating as the walkways and rooms look like something out of a fantasy series. The history to the place is vast and very interesting, multiple stops and audio equipment will tell you what happened and how each room was used. Outside, the gardens are pristine and beautiful and the views over the Thames and external spaces are wonderful. I would highly recommend.

Hampton Court Palace is a magnificent historic site full of Tudor charm and rich history. The gardens are stunning and perfect for a leisurely walk. The palace interiors are grand, showcasing beautiful architecture and fascinating exhibitions. Staff are mostly helpful, though some areas could be improved for visitor engagement. This is a great place to have a walk around, the only downside was school parties, but it wasn't too bad! There are lots of history in this place and a lot on show! We went all round the inside! Lots of artifacts dating from Henry VIII!! Even walking round the very large kitchens of Henry VIII's time was lovely to see!! Very interesting!! We will be back again to explore the gardens next time!! The staff are very knowledgeable too if you want to ask any questions!! You can also get an audio tour with headphones or wait for a guide!

Was able to visit this vast historic ground that was the Palace of King Henry Vlll some 500yrs ago. Took pictures of the ongoing renovations, the river canal with pier, the gardens Hampton Court Palace, located on the River Thames in southwest London, is one of England’s most famous royal palaces with a rich and complex history: Early History: Built in 1514 by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, the powerful chief minister to King Henry VIII. Wolsey transformed the site into a lavish Renaissance palace, but as he fell out of favor with the king, he gifted it to Henry VIII in 1528 to avoid disgrace. Tudor Era: Henry VIII greatly expanded the palace, making it one of his main residences. He added the Great Hall, Tudor kitchens, and royal apartments. It was a favorite residence of his and played host to numerous important events, including marriages, births, and political dealings. Stuart Period: Under James I and Charles I, the palace remained a royal residence. Charles I was imprisoned at Hampton Court briefly before his execution in 1649. Baroque Transformation: In the late 1600s, William III and Mary II commissioned architect Sir Christopher Wren to modernize the palace in the Baroque style, intending to rival Versailles. Much of the Tudor palace was replaced, but the project was never fully completed, leaving a unique blend of Tudor and Baroque architecture. Later Use and Preservation: The palace ceased being a royal residence in the 18th century, though it housed grace-and-favor residents (people granted accommodation by the monarch) for many years. In the 19th century, it opened to the public as a historic site. Today Hampton Court Palace is managed by Historic Royal Palaces and is a major tourist attraction. Visitors can explore the Tudor kitchens, Haunted Gallery, maze, gardens, and royal apartments, offering insight into over 500 years of royal history.

It’s a great day out with a lot to see and do, however it was a little lacking especially when considering value for money. We went during Halloween and a lot of effort was made for that which was great. The cafes served good food was a good selection but was on the pricey side! Facilities were good and staff were friendly and helpful. They have. Car park but you have to get there early, we just kissed out but there is car parking at the train station just over the bridge.
Rakesh P — Google review
Really disappointed in this whole experience. We went on a Friday, it was pretty busy but not entirely unexpected. We felt like there was a lot of emphasis put on Henry VIII's palace, however, there seemed little reference to him living there overall. There wasn't any atmosphere and a lot of rooms were empty - it just looked quite empty overall. It was also extremely hot inside, and the lack of airflow was stifling. We thought it would be a loy more regal and extravagant than what was on offer. We were extremely disappointed to learn that the banqueting hall and other areas are currently closed to the public. Bearing in mind our tickets were £80.00 for 3 adults, we didn't feel that we got overall value for money. The gift shop was much of a muchness, usual expensive crap made in China. The cafe was ridiculously expensive for the quality of food on offer, and flies were crawling all over the food on display which had not been covered up. The vegetable patch and gardens were fabulous and the highlight of the day, the exterior architecture is fabulous aside from that, thoroughly disappointed. The staff were also grumpy and not very forthcoming in sharing and tips or highlights, and we were made to feel an inconvenience for asking questions.

This was my first visit to Hampton Court Palace and if I'm ever in the area again it won't be my last. Make sure you set aside the full day to make sure you see everything. There is do much to do, see, read and eat. The history behind this Palace takes you back centuries. The staff are always willing to answer any questions you may have. I would advise you to book your tickets in advance.

Wonderful day. You can spend anywhere between 2 and 6 hours and on my third visit I spent the latter, and finally appreciated every corner! The palace is good, and the gardens are fantastic. Lots of incredible art too, including two from Caravaggio, 12 or so just from Canaletto, then Rembrandt, Gentileschi, Mantegna, Holbein, and many more!

Somerset House, a neoclassical riverside palace, has a rich history dating back to the 16th century when it was built as a residence for Edward Seymour. Over time, it served as a royal residence and government offices before being transformed into its current state. The courtyard hosts various events including open-air performances and an ice-skating rink in winter.

The consultant orthopedic surgeon, Mr. Quamar Bismil, has been commended for his clear explanations and diverse treatment options based on solid evidence. This service offers a reliable solution for hand-related issues, ensuring patients receive quality care in a timely manner.

Recently I attended a consultation with Mr Quamar MK Bismil (Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon) at his Fitzroy Square rooms regarding a complaint with my right and left hands, a condition that was troubling me for at least six month. I was referred to Mr Bismil by my general practitioner. Mr Bismil was absolutely excellent. He explained all elements of my care in a clear manner as well as offering me a variety of different options. All of the options suggest had a sound evidence base underpinning them. With each option offered I was informed about the benefits and the potential drawbacks thus allowing me to make a truly informed decision. Time was put aside for me to consider these options and for me to ask questions. I was treated by Mr Bismil and the outcome of the interventions were successful allowing me to return to being able to carry out my activities of living unimpeded. *** months after treatment I am still able to function effectively at 100%. Prior to Mr Bismil’s interventions I was limited in my activities (for example, typing, gripping items, carrying items, going the gym to lift weights) and I suffered a substantial amount of pain, I was unable to go to the gym and the impact on my health and well-being was significant. I have returned to the gym and I am now able to function effectively and above all I am pain free. Mr Quamar MK Bismil is a professional of the highest calibre. He practices evidence-based medicine with positive patient outcomes and indeed the patient is at the centre of all he does. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Quamar MK Bismil to those who are in need of a first class orthopaedic. Jussi Lahtinen

Having discarded the option of treatment via the NHS for my trigger finger condition, I hit the internet hoping to find a reputable surgeon who could solve my problem. I came across the Wide Awake Hand Surgery service and was attracted by the speediness and efficiency of the whole process. Due to work commitments I had a very narrow window in which I could undertake surgery and recuperate. I contacted Mr Quamar Bismil through the number on the website. An appointment was scheduled for the same week. Four days later I walked into the clinic at the Queen Mary Medical Centre off Harley Street. A quick consultation confirmed the diagnosis and thirty minutes later having filled in all the required paperwork I was being prepped for surgery. Apart from the slight pain from injecting the local anaesthetic, the whole process was pain free. Half an hour later, it was all over and I was busy sipping a cup of tea in the waiting area. I had clear instructions for the post-operative care and a list of numbers I could contact 24/7 should I have any concerns. Three days later, I paid a visit to the clinic so that the surgeon could check that it was healing nicely. For pain management, I took over the counter analgesics. I found the whole process, speedy and emotionally supportive. It was comforting to be treated by people who really cared about my well-being and about me as a person. Throughout my recuperation I have had easy access to my surgeon, by phone and email and I have been offered additional appointments to allay any concerns. Overall, the post-operative care I have received has been excellent.

Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in London, offers visitors the chance to explore its lavish private and state rooms or witness the iconic changing of the guard ceremony. For history enthusiasts, nearby attractions like Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London are highly recommended. Additionally, a leisurely stroll by Buckingham Palace may provide an opportunity to catch a glimpse of royalty or admire the handsome guards.
I had a great time attending Buckingham palace! The grounds were stunning and I even got to see a short performance from the guards. The landscaping and fountains were the highlight for me. The self-guided tour inside was great too. Buy your ticket in advance to pick your preferred time.
Shanel — Google review
Interesting to be and see inside this storied place. The State Rooms are interesting and the chance to see the royal art collection is a real treat. I also enjoyed the special exhibition of art produced on the King Charles’s travel over the years as well as the throne room. It’s crowded but manageable. I also visited the mews with the carriages and would recommend. My disappointment was the limited access to the garden. The website lists the Royal Gardens as one of the highlights and includes pictures of the rose garden and other select spots. Once on-site I learned that much of the garden, including the roses I hoped to see, is off-limits unless you book a special tour, which were all booked. This is not made clear on the website when booking. Also note that the amount of time they indicate for the palace tour is far too long unless you’re planning to eat in the cafe and do a lot of shopping in the gift shop. I listened to the entire tour and spent time in all of the rooms and it took me 45 minutes or so—they indicate 2 to 2.5 hours. This can be an issue if you are booking multiple timed elements at the palace or tickets elsewhere.
Scott — Google review
We purchased guided tour tickets to include the changing of the guards. What we failed to understand was the meeting point is not actually at Buckingham Palace, rather about a mile down the road at the equestrian statue. The tickets were expensive since we did opted for a guided tour however the guided tour does not take you inside the palace. I have to say overall I was a bit let down by the tour I expected more for some reason. Don't get me wrong you get to see beautiful marble statues and works of art that are one of a kind and you're only going to see there and you get to see a very small section of the palace. The section you get to see is where they do most of the hosting for guests. It's a must-see, I'm not so sure paying extra for a guided tour was worth it as once you get inside your guide leaves you and you can take the free guided audio tour to go through the rooms. The palace was absolutely packed during a random weekday and I would definitely recommend pre-buying your tickets. There is a small Cafe outside at the end of your tour and a large garden that you can get a free tour as well. Located right in the center of London, when you come out it pops you right back out in the streets so be prepared to walk. Just like all the other palaces and castles I visited you cannot take pictures or video once inside.
Jessica D — Google review
Tickets are not necessary for the changing of the guard. But I recommend standing on the fountain if you cannot get near the fence. You will need tickets for the States room tour. It's well worth with it.
Lori D — Google review
Highly recommend the palace tour as the palace is quite stunning on the inside. Do buy the tickets in advance and show up right in time for your entry because there’s no wait then! The gift shop also has some quality souvenirs so I highly recommend it. Also, the palace gardens were my favourite gardens in London ✨✨✨✨
Sumukha A — Google review
The palace is absolutely beautiful inside, but no photography. We really enjoyed our visit there. It's is a good bit of walking around but benches to rest on. There is a 20 minutes walk one you get outside to get back out to the main street but once again plenty of benches to rest.
Robin J — Google review
Buckingham Palace Park is beautiful for a walk and to relax. Lovely green areas, well maintained, and a great spot for photos. It can get busy with tourists, but definitely worth a visit!
Khalid B — Google review
Visited during the changing of the guard I really didn’t know what I was in for. The crowds and fences were ridiculous and the event was not that impressive to me. I could’ve skipped it and been fine. Because of the event I really didn’t get to see the palace exterior and gates very well due to large crowds and barricades. Unless the changing of the guard is a bucket list thing you really want to see I would recommend not going during that event if you’re wanting to get a good view of the palace.

I've attended this event twice in the UK. Last time was a decade ago. This time it finished up earlier at around 7.30. The bands wore lovely costumes. The roads were full of people so if you don't like crowds avoid. Lots of music and food stalls. Lots of walking and the sunshine was amazing. Everyone was enjoying themselves and it felt much safer this time round. I would attend in a band next time and arrive much earlier than 2pm.

Such an awesome event, that I'm so disappointed to find out that the 2020 Carnival is cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic for the first time in over 50 years, but in the interest of safety, it's a wise and necessary move. The 2019 Notting Hill Carnival which I last attended was a great event. Big as ever, very little trouble, very well organised, well policed and with such a great vibe over one great weekend. Really looking forward to the next Carnival and I'm sure it will be even bigger and better than ever, with the great work and effort put in by the organisers, costume makers, DJ's, artists, venders, teams, local clubs and just about everyone who makes it all possible. Here's to 2021 and strongly recommend, that it's not to be missed. ❤🚛🔊🎵✊🤘😀👍

The Jazz Cafe in Camden has been a staple of the live music scene since 1990, showcasing a variety of genres including jazz, soul, reggae, and more. It has welcomed both local talents and international stars like Amy Winehouse and D'Angelo. The venue offers a unique experience with live music throughout the week and livelier club evenings on Fridays and Saturdays.
Absolutely fantastic venue. Intimate session. Great acoustics. Back again after last year for a repeat of Third World. Fairly accessible. Main toilets are on a lower level. Eating with stage viewing area upstairs. Very friendly vibe.
Mark D — Google review
Great venue with bar and fairly small standing area downstairs so you’re never too far from the stage. Seating upstairs which you need to book and have a meal. Good view with slightly higher - and cheaper - tables (bar stools) a bit further back. Food was good although fairly small portions. Staff friendly and a good mixture of music across different nights. Overall an intimate venue with a great atmosphere- a really good night out. Thankfully very close to Camden Town tube station.

Wonderful experience at this extraordinary venue. First time visiting to meet excellent Ayo, the stage name of Joy Olasunmibo Ogunmakin who is the singer and song writer. The venue had to offer an intimate atmosphere and very good acoustics. My guests and I had a lovely dinner at upstairs sitting area, the bar was well-served and staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. I definitely plan to come again.

Absolutely love this venue! The atmosphere is always buzzing, the food was absolutely incredible, and the night was made even better with some truly fantastic acts. It’s one of those places that never disappoints, a real London staple!

The Jazz Cafe is a great venue. The size is ideal, fits I would estimate around 200. Perfect to get a table and chill. Employees are polite and helpful. Music artist quality is always high. Crowd tends to be older and more musically mature. Never not enjoyed it.

We were invited to attend an exclusive Evening by the activist & Iconic artist Lowkey. This was our first experience of Jazz Cafe & It was a pleasant one. The venue is very spacious With lots of standing area downstairs & Seating upstairs It is ideal for intimate events Like the one we had attended. We would like to thank everyone At Jazz Cafe & Send our best wishes To them & Also to Lowkey for the invite. ✨

One of best venues for live music in London. Highly recommended for food too. Check the events for what is on as it varies. Food here is superb and the extra cash for a table is well worth it. Staff are incredible and friendly and very attentive. Come here about three times a year and the music is always amazing. One of the best live music events venues in London for sure. Drinks prices are not too bad given its Camden. Lots to do nearby also and many places to check out
Hywel M — Google review
Quite possibly one of the best nights out that London has to offer. Just a couple minutes away from Camden Town station and full of soul and life every time I have dined and enjoyed music there. Hard to believe such a warm and intimate atmosphere can still be found these days. Restaurant and bar staff have all been wonderful and genuinely caring without fail. Cant recommend enough honestly 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Restaurant
The Salisbury Pub, situated in the heart of London's theater district on St. Martins Lane, is a remarkable Victorian establishment with a rich history. Boasting original etched glass and carved mahogany, this former prize-fighting site offers an extensive selection of ales and beers within its grand interior. The friendly and professional staff, such as bartender Simon, add to the exceptional experience by providing personalized ale recommendations and sharing captivating stories about the pub's founders.
One of the best pubs I've visited in London. The food was delicious, the atmosphere very cozy and beautiful. It's a place that definitely meets the standards of central London, and I would definitely go back. There's a wide variety of food and drinks. I recommend it if you visit London. The customer service we received from Richard was the best part of the experience; he was very friendly and helpful.

THE go too pub when you're in the Convent Garden area. Victorian pub on former prize-fighting site, with original etched glass and carved mahogany decor throughout. Also the spot spot where Richard & Liz got engaged...again. Outdoor seating in summer, Dancing area and ample seating inside too. Victorian decor on the walls styled with art nouveau, dark green facade to the mirrors surrounding the dining area. It's a family-friendly & dog-friendly pub, with a small beer garden to the side. Horse shoe-shaped bar with seating around it Pub is 3 minutes from Leicester Square Underground Station. Food menu is classic Greene King, and service is excellent. Big shout out to Alice, and especially Levi who took care of us through our time there. We booked a table ahead of us arriving, which is always advisable at weekends. Atmosphere was vibrant, pub was very clean and extremely well managed (well done Levi ✅ ) Try the Margarita cocktails as they're pretty decent too. Toilets for those that like to know, are downstairs and clean too. Plenty of charging points for your phone throughout the pub. Staffing numbers were well proportioned and waiting time was minimal. Plenty of famous patrons regularly frequent the pub too. Definitely a must visit whilst you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.
Brian — Google review
A really great pub, fantastic dining room and good quality food although it was incredibly expensive. Fantastic service from the waitress Levi, she was assertive and eager when I asked for recommendations, and her down to earth vibe really made the meal great. £46 for a meal a dessert and 2 drinks did hit the wallet hard, but for atmosphere and service alone, I have to recommend.
Jamie B — Google review
We came for Sunday roast and weren’t disappointed. The service by a lovely waitress was 11/10, very accommodating. The beef was just fine but all the other vegetables were so well made and seasoned, so tasty. Recommend a lot.

We quite enjoyed our lunch here! I had the steak and ale pie and it was very good! My parents both had fish and chips and were very pleased! We had a round of drinks, and enjoyed our lunch! Very classic British pub. It was very busy and service was a tad bit slow, but it was understandable due to the lunch rush. The bartenders were efficient and quick. Great spot for an easy and good meal!

Nice pub in theatre district. We went for lunch pre theatre but it was very busy and we had to leave before the food was ready. We got a full refund and a complementary round of drinks with no fuss. Would recommend
Malcolm C — Google review
I had an incredible experience at this pub! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and vibrant. The place is clean, comfortable, and has that perfect balance of lively energy and relaxed charm. What truly made my visit special was the service — especially from Manish. He was genuinely friendly, attentive, and professional throughout my time there. He made great recommendations, ensured everything arrived on time, and checked in just enough to make sure I had everything I needed. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. The food was outstanding — freshly prepared, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The fish and chips were crispy, golden, and perfectly cooked — easily one of the best I’ve had. The drinks were well-served, and everything came out quickly and with a smile. Manish’s excellent service and positive attitude truly elevated the whole experience. This is the kind of place you want to keep coming back to — not just for the great food and atmosphere, but for the people who make it special. Highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for great food, fantastic service, and a warm, enjoyable vibe. I’ll definitely be back — and I’ll be asking for Manish again!

Everyone is so nice at the salon and it is very clean inside. I will definitely be coming back. The prices are great and the experience is always wonderful.

Insane price. I did a very simple cat eye gel manicure with removal and paid **£80** That’s equivalent of US $107 !!! (No extension nor any design). In the price chart online, you’ll see £45 base price for simple gel manicure but they will add up the prices without pre-notification and charge you way more in the end. Receipt was not even itemised and I felt it’s almost a scam. Good quality and good location tho - only recommend to those who is willing to pay $100 🥹 Would be keen to go back if the price is half.
Ai Y — Google review
I really wanted to like this place, especially since I live just across the street. The receptionist made a mistake with my booking despite me clearly stating over the phone that I wanted a design, I was told upon arrival that I had only booked for a simple colour. Instead of trying to accommodate or resolve the issue, she seemed more interested in arguing with me about what I had supposedly said, which was not a great first impression. Really didn’t feel welcoming at all. I can’t imagine how much they would actually charge for a full design because even with just one charm and two tiny stones per hand, my total was £120. The nail technician was skilled and professional, and the final result is nice but this is quite pricy. I remember on my first visit for eyelash extensions, the receptionist stood next to my head, speaking in Chinese for 30 minutes straight to the nail technician. I couldn’t rest or sleep, and the whole situation felt super uncomfortable.

Ordered a tree decoration on 13th November but nothing ever received a month later, no tracking number advised, etc. Contacted them but never received a reply. I know there's others in a similar situation and to those I would advise disputing the charge via your credit card company in a bid to recover your money. For others yet to interact I recommend avoiding this company which is a shame because the products look great.

Do not order from this company. Their solution to their taking your moment and not delivering is to ask you to “reach out”. Reaching out gets you nowhere fast - or at all. Two items were ordered in November 2024. The first arrived only after chasing emails. The second was billed as a pre-order for January 2025. After my money was taken, this was changed to “in 2025”. Numerous emails have been sent asking for the product or a refund. Silence.

A Royal Christmas. I recently purchased four royal-themed Christmas tree decorations from the London Christmas Company and was absolutely delighted with my purchase. The quality of the decorations was exceptional, and the attention to detail was truly impressive. Each ornament was beautifully crafted and added a touch of elegance to my Christmas tree. What truly set the London Christmas Company apart was their impeccable customer service. From the moment I placed my order, I was impressed by their professionalism and helpfulness. The team was always quick to respond to my inquiries and ensured that my order was processed and shipped promptly. I will definitely be purchasing from the London Christmas Company again in the future. Their combination of high-quality products and outstanding customer service makes them a must-visit for anyone looking to add a touch of royalty to their holiday decor.

Gala is an independent dance festival in South London that has been running for nine years. The event takes place over three days during the May bank holiday weekend and features a variety of hosts, including NTS radio and Adonis. It offers a community-driven experience with impressive line-ups. Additionally, Gala Events also organizes sporting lunches where guests can meet famous personalities like Harry Redknapp, Paul Gascoigne, and David Walliams.
I attended the Lunch with Lionesses event organised by Gala last week. Great venue of the Intercontinental Park Lane, food very tasty, Pete Graves was a fantastic, personable host and to be in the presence of the legends that are the Lionesses was just a once in a lifetime experience. Theevent was so well organised and Gala have found a niche gap in the market with these type of events. Thanks Gala!

Had a fantastic day, lunch with the Lionesses event. Staff was friendly, food was great. This is my 2nd year going to this event. Enjoyed every minute of it. I get to met the Lionesses, depends on who it is on the day of the event. If you want to met the players and have your photo taken by professional cameraman. You should buy the Gold package. It's only few pounds different. From the silver package. For me I always buy the Golden package. Because I followed the Lionesses every games. To met them and talk to them. It's a great experience. Thank you Gala event it was well organised event. Can't wait for next year Lunch with the Lionesses. It's also for a good cause, we can bid on Lionesses items. Since the event 2023-24 I've already bid and received, on Alesia Russo sign shirt in a frame, Lionesses winning photo for Euro 2022 and signatures. Harry style for the other half. That's was last year. This year I said I won't bid, but I went home with shirts sign by Georgia, Keira and Izzy and Lauren James sign boot. 😂🤣 but all for a good causes. If your a Lionesses fans this the event to go and have a great experience. I love it. See you next year.

The London Film Festival is a sublime festival, with an incredible atmosphere that brings together film lovers and talented creators. The vibe throughout the event was fantastic. Two films I particularly loved were Conclaves, which kept me hooked with its captivating storyline and pace, and The Room Next Door by Pedro Almodóvar, a masterpiece. Almodóvar’s ability to explore emotions and the complexity of human relationships was as brilliant as ever. On the downside, I wasn’t impressed by Angelina Jolie’s performance in the film Maria, though I still enjoyed the film overall for its direction and strong narrative. In short, a memorable festival with standout moments and unforgettable discoveries!

The Tower of London is a medieval castle with a rich and bloody history, housing the Crown Jewels and iconic Beefeaters. It offers dramatic views of the Thames River and is located near Brick Lane. The luxurious Cheval Three Quays at The Tower of London provides contemporary one and two-bedroom apartments with stunning vistas of landmarks such as the Tower Bridge, The Shard, and the remains of the Roman London Wall. Guests can enjoy spacious accommodations with full-service kitchens and oversized bathrooms.
Amazing! This was one of my favorite tours while in london. We bought our tickets which cost about $48. Place was packed. There is a cafe and a small gift shop inside, bathrooms of course. I would plan on spending at least 2 hours here if not 3. And then of course there's the crown jewels that speak for themselves. So much history here and so much to see I loved everything about this!

Wonderful experience. We travelled to Waterloo by train and hopped on boat to London Bridge for the Tower which was easy and entertaining. The Tower was fascinating, such history. The poppy installation was fantastic. A really good day.....but you need comfy walking shoes!

Very expensive for little content. The buildings are beautiful but it’s not worth nearly 32£. The jewel gallery was nice but we did it in 5mn. Best advice is to take pictures from outside and not go in.

Beautiful place with a lot to see. 8 Ravens on site. You can get close to they but they are wild and will bite. Crown Jewels, armory collection, church and more. It was not always a prison, and not just a tower. You can easily spend all day here.

Enjoyed all the history The Ravens were alot bigger than I imagined. The crown Jewels were amazing and loads of gold pieces of various objects the punch bowl was massive. All the beefeaters were friendly and helpful.

You could spend a day exploring or breeze in and out in two on a quiet day. Crown Jewels were gorgeous. Walking throughbthe verybdark vaults added to the intrigue. No photos permitted. The tower was very fun if you like armour and military weapons. Lots of steps up and a turret spiral staircase to exit. I would have prefered to see recreations of how the home was setup. Lunch at the cafe was meh, but after all you are a captive audiance!

Absolutely a wonderful time. As a tourist from the US, I cannot believe the amount of history in one place. You could spend an entire vacation at this site alone. Seeing highlights from the coronation amd seeing them in real life was fantastic. The displays in the White Tower were worth it alone

Sky Garden, also known as the Walkie Talkie due to its distinctive shape, is a must-visit destination in London. Located 43 floors above the city, this lush green space offers breathtaking 360-degree views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The garden is filled with Mediterranean and South African plants, creating a unique botanical experience high above the bustling streets. Entry is free but requires advance booking due to limited spaces.
This was a wonderful experience. Well organised. The staff are nice but direct. The line was long but went down quickly. Make sure you get a ticket beforehand (its free) and get there early within your time slot. There is a process to getting inside but it goes by quickly. You go through a metal detector for security before you go up the lift. There are bars and a restaurant when you get up there. I don't know what the price range is, as I didn't eat or drink. The views are great and you can stay up there as long as you want, from what I saw.

Amazing experience at Sky Garden! Sky Garden is absolutely beautiful — the views are breathtaking! You can see all the famous London landmarks like the London Bridge, the London Eye, and even The Shard from up here. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with lots of greenery and a lovely open space. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the city from above, take great photos, and just soak in the view. Highly recommend visiting, especially around sunset! 🌇

Great view. Honestly have never been to a place like this before and stumbled upon it trying to find a breakfast spot that’s open early. Honestly very impressive views (I spent way more time than I’d like to admit taking photos), both inside and outside the building, and delicious Eggs Benedict. Great place to walk around afterwards, and definitely a must for tourists. Make sure to reserve in advance.
Fameldin — Google review
I visited Sky Garden in London recently and thought it was a cool spot, especially if you're into city views. The place sits right on top of the “Walkie-Talkie” building and gives you some amazing views of London, you can see the Thames, The Shard, Tower Bridge… all of it. Entry is totally free, but you do need to book a ticket in advance. They release tickets every Monday at 10am, and they get snapped up pretty fast especially for weekends. Weekdays are a lot easier to book and way less crowded. If you go midweek, you’ll probably have a smooth, chill experience. Weekends? Totally different story. Even with a ticket, the queues can be long. And if you don’t have a ticket, be ready to wait even longer just to try your luck on walk-in entry. So yeah, weekends = chaos. The garden itself is nice, though it’s more of a well-designed indoor space with plants than an actual “garden.” Still, the views make it worth it. There’s also a bar and a couple of restaurants if you want to grab a drink or food, but it’s a bit pricey. Pro tip: Go on a weekday if you can. Book early (set a reminder for Monday 10am), and get there a little before your time slot because there’s security and sometimes a short wait for the lift.

The Sky Garden in London is one of the city’s most beautiful and relaxing attractions, offering breathtaking panoramic views from high above the bustling streets. Located atop the Walkie Talkie building, it provides an incredible vantage point where you can see landmarks like the Shard, Tower Bridge, and the Thames all at once. The space itself feels open and airy, filled with lush greenery and soft natural light that creates a calm, comfortable atmosphere—almost like a tropical escape in the sky. What makes the Sky Garden especially appealing is how effortlessly it blends nature with modern design. The plants, pathways, and seating areas invite you to linger, enjoy a drink, or simply take in the scenery. It’s free to visit with a reservation, and even during busy times, the space feels well managed and never too crowded. The café and bars offer a nice selection of snacks and cocktails, perfect for watching the sunset over London. Whether you’re a visitor exploring the city or a local looking for a peaceful retreat, the Sky Garden is a must-see destination. It’s beautiful, comfortable, and gives you one of the best—and most memorable—views in all of London.

Beautiful place and amazing weather. Nice amities, you can get some drinks whilst enjoying the view, however there are some considerations for the balcony(no selfy sticks, no food& drink, ,no climbing on the rails). For the restaurant you need to book. Waiting timesay vary depending on how big the que is. Also, very clean retrooms.
Crisan M — Google review
First and foremost know that you need to reserve an entry ticket three weeks in advance. I didn't know this but a very kind employee (who I will not call out), let me proceed. I appreciate their kindness because as a travel writer, I wanted to see what all the hype was about. It was impressive. The view of the Thames River was wonderful. I liked that there were different levels and the gardens on either side were pretty. If you get tickets go but if you don't walk 4 minutes to the Garden at 120. There was no line and I liked the view better.

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in Richmond is a renowned destination featuring an extensive collection of trees and flowers from all over the world. Additionally, there are family-friendly exhibitions and events such as Kew the Music, a week-long music festival with acclaimed performers like Lewis Capaldi.
Spent a lovely few hours in Kew Gardens. Even in early October, many flowers in bloom. Colours were just starting to turn on the trees, lovely vistas everywhere, interesting conservatories. Nice lunch in in Orangery. Highly recommend a visit. Need a few hours.

The autumn colours at Kew are simply spectacular and worth the visit alone. The foliage was at its peak, and the landscape was incredibly beautiful. Do dress warmly though, as it gets cold in the late afternoon. One drawback for evening visitors: the shop closes considerably earlier than the advertised time. Staff began asking people to leave at 5:40 PM, and the shop was completely closed by 5:50 PM. So, if you're counting on buying gifts at the end of your trip, make sure you visit the shop with plenty of time to spare.
YUHAN T — Google review
We visited here for the first time ever last weekend, despite our Daughter living in London. We bought tickets online so that upon arrival they were promptly scanned, no queue whatsoever. Where do I start, the gardens are stunning and the place is so vast. We walked around the perimeter path to start, then we walked everywhere, the large glass houses and conservatories are amazing, there is so much to see. Amenities are great, lots of choices for food, we ate at a Orangery restaurant in the grounds under the grape vines (al fresco dining) the food was amazing, where a main with drinks was only £66 for 3 adults. These gardens are predominantly wheelchair accessible too. We thoroughly enjoyed the Treetop Walkway (which has a lift and stairs) so pushchair users were also able to go up, the views were fantastic. The day was warm, so there were families enjoying picnics in the relaxing grounds. Prepare to sieve a whole day, and for the entrance fee considering this is London, we found the prices to be very reasonable indeed. There is just so much for the whole family. Facilities are extremely good too, with accessible toilets, changing places toilet, baby feeding room, baby change, shop, cafe, information, and water fountains throughout the gardens, there is also a prayer/reflections room, and finally a bus stop. Visiting is a must.
Victoria J — Google review
It is one of the most famous and important gardens in the world. It is a historic landscape garden in southwest London, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Charles Darwin’s contributed to Kew Gardens significantly, mainly because Kew houses a large part of the plant specimens he collected during his famous voyage aboard the HMS Beagle from 1831 to 1836. Around 450 of the approximately 1,400 plant specimens Darwin gathered are preserved at Kew, with these collections still actively studied and digitized. Great experience with really a lot of different impressions: - areas with plants from all over the world - treetop walkway Kew Gardens is renowned for its extraordinary glasshouses, which house diverse plant collections from across the globe. The key glasshouses include: - The Palm House: Built between 1844 and 1848, the Palm House is one of the most iconic Victorian glasshouses. It features a tropical rainforest environment and hosts many rare and endangered tropical plants, including the oldest potted plant in the world, - Temperate House: The largest Victorian glasshouse in the world, the Temperate House houses around 10,000 plants of 1,500 species from regions including Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the Americas. - Water Lily House: Built in 1852 and designed by the same architect and ironmaker as the Palm House, the Water Lily House shelters aquatic plants including tropical water lilies. - King George III‘s house King George III’s house in Kew Gardens is known as Kew Palace, also called the Dutch House. Originally built in 1631 as a silk merchant’s mansion, it became the smallest royal palace and served as the summer home of King George III in the 18th century. George III and his wife Queen Charlotte spent many happy summers there with their large family. The palace and its gardens provided a private, intimate retreat from public life, where the king could live more normally without the usual royal ceremony. Really a great experience and you have to plan enough time - or even several visits.

🏛️ My Visit to Trafalgar Square, London My visit to Trafalgar Square was an unforgettable experience at one of London’s most iconic public spaces. Built in the 1840s, the square commemorates Admiral Lord Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar (1805). At its center stands the towering Nelson’s Column, surrounded by magnificent lion statues and beautiful fountains. The square is always lively, filled with street performers, tourists, and locals. It’s also home to the National Gallery, historic statues, and hosts major events and celebrations throughout the year. The atmosphere perfectly captures the spirit of London — vibrant, cultural, and full of history. Visitor Tips: Visit in the evening to see the fountains illuminated. Entry is free, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Don’t miss the short walk to Admiralty Arch and The Mall leading to Buckingham Palace. How to Reach: Located in central London, Trafalgar Square is easily accessible via Charing Cross Station or a short walk from Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus Underground stations. Overall, Trafalgar Square is a must-visit — a beautiful blend of art, history, and city life right in the heart of London.

The Shard is an 87-floor glass skyscraper with a distinctive jagged peak, standing at 306 meters tall, making it the tallest building in the European Union. Located in London Bridge Quarter Development, it houses offices, restaurants, a hotel and an indoor/outdoor observation deck on the 72nd floor offering breathtaking panoramic views of London.
I was incredibly fortunate to be in London in 2012 when The Shard was inaugurated, and my first visit left a lasting impression. It’s not just a skyscraper; it’s a new symbol of London, a towering triumph of modern architecture that offers a breathtaking perspective on the city. The view from the top is, without a doubt, the main event. Stepping out onto the viewing platforms, you're immediately struck by the sheer scale of the city laid out before you. The intricate tapestry of London's streets, the historic winding of the River Thames, and the iconic landmarks like the Tower of London and St. Paul's Cathedral all appear in a new light. It's a view that is both expansive and intimate, allowing you to appreciate the city's rich history and its bustling modern life simultaneously. The design of The Shard itself is a piece of art. Its glass-clad spire seems to merge with the sky, an elegant and sharp form that stands out without feeling out of place. Inside, the experience is seamless, from the swift, silent elevator ride to the thoughtfully designed viewing decks. Since my first visit, I've been back a few times with friends and family, and the magic has never faded. Whether it's a clear sunny day or a misty evening with the city lights twinkling below, the experience is always magnificent. The Shard has truly become a must-do for anyone visiting London and is a landmark that has firmly cemented its place in the city's skyline. A truly unforgettable experience.

An unforgettable afternoon in the sky! We booked our tickets in advance for the afternoon slot and upgraded to the champagne option on arrival. From the photo booth to the high-speed lift, everything was smooth and quick. The staff were fantastic, and we had plenty of time to enjoy the experience at our own pace. It wasn’t too crowded, so we could take some incredible photos and soak in the breathtaking view of London from 246 meters above the city. We even ordered a second drink, thanks to the super-friendly bartender – a perfect touch to end the visit. A brilliant bar, stunning views, and an experience truly worth your time and money. This is a London must-do!

The Shard’s viewpoint offered one of the most unforgettable experiences of my London trip. Rising high above the city, the panoramic views from the top were absolutely breathtaking, with landmarks like Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the London Eye all laid out below me. It felt incredible to see the city from such a unique and awe-inspiring perspective. What made it even more special was the calm yet thrilling atmosphere at the top. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows provided perfect views in every direction, and the entire visit was smooth, comfortable, and well-organized. The Shard’s viewpoint gave me a magical new way to appreciate London, and it’s truly a must-see.

My Visit to The Shard, London My visit to The Shard was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of my trip to London. Standing at 310 meters, it’s the tallest building in the UK, offering breathtaking 360° views of the city from its viewing decks on the 69th and 72nd floors. The modern glass design by architect Renzo Piano is a true masterpiece that perfectly captures London’s blend of history and innovation. The high-speed lift ride to the top was smooth and exciting, and once there, the panoramic views were incredible — I could see landmarks like Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, and the River Thames stretching for miles. Visitor Tips: It’s best to book tickets online in advance, especially for sunset visits. Try to go on a clear day for the best visibility, and don’t forget your camera. There are also fine dining options and a cocktail bar if you’d like to enjoy the skyline longer. How to Reach: The Shard is located at 32 London Bridge Street, London SE1 9SG, right next to London Bridge Station (Northern and Jubilee lines) and easily accessible by train or bus. Overall, The Shard offers an amazing way to see London from above — a must-visit attraction that combines spectacular views, modern design, and a touch of luxury.

Was gifted entry to the Shard. Staff were attentive from the moment of arrival as you queued. Security process of checking bags was courteous and swift. We were then guided to the lift which took us up to 38th floor then another to floor 68. Smooth but fast - ears popped a little. Views from the Shard as you would expect are breathtaking. Whilst therei had a scone with jam and clotted cream which was delicious as was the complimentary glass of presecco. Chris provided Great knowledge about the history of the area, the building and the eyewatering cost to buy an apartment there. Highly recommended - will visit again.

Virgin Experience. Arrived just before our time slot but straight in and up to the 68 floor with great views of London (luckily it was a very clear day!) Drinks are a bit over priced £14 for a large Rose ans £7 for a bottle of Peroni. Was there for probably less than an hour.

I visited The Shard recently, and it truly is a new symbol of modern London! From the 72nd floor, the views were absolutely breathtaking — you can see the whole city stretched out. The design of the building itself is absolutely stunning. A must-visit for anyone coming to London!

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! My husband and I had a "View from the Shard" experience as a wedding present. It was absolutely brilliant. The views were excellent and we could see for miles in every direction. Champagne and cocktails were delicious, yes expensive but it's an unforgettable irregular experience so treat yourself! We stayed for a talk by Chris about the history of the Shard too - Chris was very entertaining, amusing and insightful. Apparently the toilets are the most photographed toilets in the world on Instagram - "a view from the loo" - so definitely check those out. The two lifts we took travel at 6 metres a second, so expect your ears to pop. We had a blast of a time and highly recommend the experience.
